I kind of feel on my T-shirt today. Yeah. He's good. And this is the next to last day in this crappy studio. We've been a... Not wait. I will say, it's actually been pretty good for a temporary studio. It has.

Especially for me. over here running the board and all the buttons and stuff it's nicer than our other studio we've had the last five years but we move into our other studio midway through the show on Friday which I'm pretty excited about. Nobody can post any pictures of it though until I left the ban I also haven't. We can't post a single

picture of what that studio looks like until I pull the moratorium on... Yes. New studio. That's our goal because it's such a different look. It's such a... Yeah. I've alluded that I built it like a late-night talk show set. Yeah. And so there's a stage in there.

It's a whole thing. But that'll be this week on the show. The week on the show. A lot to talk about here on the post show pre-show. We had a great show today. I felt, what do you want to do first? Let's see. Yesterday, today was National Beauticians Day?

Oh, yeah. Do you tell your hairstylist everything? We talk a lot. Yeah, but a lot of times if I'm stuck in a chair there, I mean, we definitely talk, but I also have my computer out and I'm working. Because that's like. Oh, yeah. You're there long enough to take your computer out.

Yeah, it's the time where I'm like, I'm stuck sitting there, so I might as well get work done. So we also respect that. Sometimes I'm just working like, and we won't really talk. And she's working on my hair. But we catch up, yeah. Today is June 26th. It's National Beauticians Day, also known as stylist or cosmetologist. I, much like everything in my life, when I have something, I stay with it.

I've had the same. She's awesome. It's Crystal. I've had her since for six years. And I go, and she knows, I don't have much to say when I'm, on the show. We'll go in and quickly catch up. I'm a huge Chicago Cubs fan.

She's from Chicago. She's like, hey, what's your next TV thing? Because my hair just depends on what it is. Sometimes the continuity has to stay the same. If I have a show that we continue shooting, or if she's like, are you free to me to cut it short? Go wild. Otherwise, I don't have much to say.

And she knows that, and it's awesome. So we just go in and kill it. By the way, I just got a text about the new studio. Do you want to go through a quick walkthrough when you wrap? Yeah. You know what I've been doing more of? No, he's reading the texting. Probably just you, Nummy, okay.

Yes, I'll do a walk through when we wrap. Thanks. Since I'm really trying not to text and drive, and I don't really as much, because I still do the push the button on the phone and talk. No, that's only 10 seconds, though, right? No, you can do like three minutes. Really? You must have the upgrade.

I asked one one time, though, I asked her like, do you want to talk to people? Like, when you come to work, she's like, not really, but it's part of the job. Yeah. So I do. It's part of the job. I don't feel like talking to people sometimes when I come to my job here. Part of the job. Got to do it.

Got to talk. Yeah. I don't think I would ever talk if I didn't. Probably not. You didn't have to? But I tell you, I go on vacation sometimes and I sit and then things just build up and have so much to say. But where do you say it? Where do you end up saying it?

Here. I write it down. Here, I write it down. Or sometimes I come up here alone and I don't turn on the mics on. As long as he has a microphone in front of his face. I do dance parties. Mixing it. Which, by the way, you never get to hear on this podcast.

So if you're only a podcast listener, you never get to the Friday morning dance party. The great news is you get to hear full interviews on this, which if an artist comes in pre, sometimes we'll tape them ahead of time. If an artist is like on a publicity tour, let's say, for example, Thomas Rett, when he was on last time. Him and I were both getting in from L.A. at the same time, and then he had to go back out and had to go back out. So we came out on a Wednesday night, something like that, right? and tape that night for a Friday show. And then we'll edit it down a little bit, but the podcast center gets the full interview.

We don't edit anything there. That's cool. So that's the benefit, I guess, given to take. And we can't put music up on demand because if we provide something for free that you'd have to pay for to get otherwise, then you get sued. So if we do do music, for example,

So then there you go. Are people craving that song or the dance champion back at it? Ooh. Probably that song. Yeah, because you don't dance, really? I retired the champ. It's like Michael Jordan come back for one game.

Right, just one quick game and he posted it on YouTube. I wonder what the... Yeah. Everyone's going to watch it. I wonder what the deal is. Are you going to get the other one, Mike? The other Kala Hammock?

Because she... Kayla Hammack dances with me. But I wonder if I'm going to go back to dancing with the stars for the season premiere. Like, I don't know if they want you that. Yeah, I do. I would love it.

I love that show. I'm irritated that they may be... I don't know what the new rules are. I'm irritated they may be taking some of the power away from the people. because I won because I was the people's champion and the people listened to the show

voted for me like that's why I won don't be confused I know that if they go you know what we want to make sure nobody bad wins that would be the dumbest thing

they can do because I've said before this has only happened one time in 27 seasons where somebody that wasn't really good won and so you're gonna change all the rule

26 good seasons we'll say bad only because a good dancer didn't win that would be the dumbest thing to do It'd be like going, you know what, we're not going to let America vote for president anymore. We're just going to let, like, 10 experts that we put up there to vote for president. You know how much corruption?

It's just not a good look. I love the show. I hope to go back. But I hope they don't change the rules. They should keep the power with the people. They should put a save or two up there. I think that would probably be the move. A what?

Because the guy, like, he shoots himself. Yeah, that's awesome. What, dude, and you skateboard too? Yeah, GoPro. He's 28 now. Yeah. When you y'all grow the skateboard in there, Tony Hawk? I got two years left.

Yeah, and so then he has to view it the way she's had to view it. How do we make him view it, though? Oh, I think it'll be one of those things. He's got to click on it.

Boom, people are tweeting it, Instagramming it. What's you're not, you don't like tie him down. If it's viral, you almost have to watch it. It'll be right in front of it when he goes on the internet. So you're saying we take a crew. Where do I get the film crew? He's small budget. We got Eddie.

He's supposed to do video work. All right. He usually's touching a camera. Last I checked, he's supposed to. And you got Mike D. That's true. I put the GoPro on my belt. Oh, yeah, just to get a good view.

Yeah. And y'all go on a date and we film that thing. It's easy to film a date. and then put on the internet. That's the way to do it. Just hear me out, just like the segment says. But you have to let her say things like, I think I'm falling in love with you.

Well, I think you do it organically. Unless we have producers in her ear going, Hey, kiss her. Take your shirt off, get in the hot tub. Well, Ramundo. That was Raymundo presents. Hear me out.

Because. I mean, when you guys are dating people, you can't then do this. Well, they could fall in love on that date, so. What if? What if? What if? Amy, your thoughts on this segment? Good idea, but it's not doable.

Because? Because it's just not. We can't guarantee that he's going to watch it. And plus, that would be awkward for you to be in that position. All right. I don't fully agree with her. I live in an awkward land. But let me think about it. So you want to do it. I know. I'm not saying that. I just want to think about that. Can you imagine the views we get on that thing? Mike get up, dance on it? Like, we just talked about this. If we did a 60-second date and we just cut through all the stuff and made it dramatic, you know the views we get on that thing? She's Frankie. They met on the video shoot. Oh. The old video shoot. Yeah. He was so charming when I met him. I met him on a music video set. I thought, oh, no, this is.

isn't just a video like, I think I want to marry you. I knew this was no longer a job. There you go. Man, that video shoot. I did a video, Eddie and I did a video once. I did the video. I got to pick the girl that I'm making it made out with. And she wanted anything to do with me.

It's not like Frankie Ballard. Yeah. That was the opposite of Frankie Ballard in his life. She was like, we had to kiss in the video as for if I was your boyfriend. And I'd look over, she'd be like, bleh. No. It's the opposite. Yeah.

But it's crazy because Bobby got to handpicker her. He had, like, pictures and pictures of, like, who do what these artists do. That's what they do. His agent or manager at the time walked over and said something like, well, you know, are you interested in any of the? And he pointed to me. And, yeah, I think we both just felt a connection. Like, we just wanted to get to know each other more. There you go.

And bridge over trouble water. Elvis would die less than two months later. August 16th, 1977. He died in his bathroom at Graceland Mansion in Memphis.

The most significant pop artists of the 20th century, the beginning and the end of his career are grounded, were grounded, and in country music. He entered the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1998. His final performance right here, literally. Is it? This is it? There you go.

She shut the door without thinking. Express wash, warm water, cold rinse, walked away. 45 minutes later, cycle was done. Clothes were dripping wet. You know, when you pull them out of there. You know, and they're heavy. Yeah. She was about shut the door again.

If she saw, like, a white paw coming out of the clothes, Her one-year-old cat, Felix, found his way into the machine. Oh, my goodness. They took him in the emergency center, and Felix had, he's sick from it, obviously, but he's doing better now. He can see again, he lost his vision temporarily. He started eating again. Still in oxygen, but they say full recovery is going to happen with the cat. Poor Felix.

That cat, for sure, cat trauma. Yeah, like long term. Yeah, he's not even able to look at laundry. Is there like a feline therapist they can get him to? because that's some... That's tough. Yeah, he ain't going around those machines anymore.

Unless you just get back on the horse and she's like, get in. We're doing it. You need to get back on the horse. Yeah, the whole 45 minute... Express cycle. That cat was just in there. Man, that's nuts.

Well, here we are. I think we're going to try to do a good show for you today. I think. I feel like we got a pretty good one. This thing coming up later on with this girl from The Bachelor. Her lunchbox,

you've been watching The Bachelor or you don't like it? No, I watch it. I mean, it's not as good as The Bachelor, but I do watch it. My wife watches it, so I'm all in. Her boyfriend's Jed? Yeah. You like him on the show or no?

I mean, he really likes to pull out that guitar and play it. Like, he wants to let you know he's a musician. He's got some music out there. Yeah. But, I mean, he's not all right, dude. Are you interested in her coming in today? Absolutely. Then a good one we have.

Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Something to talk about in just a bit. or maybe even tomorrow we do have some vacation time coming up even next month and it's like what am I going to do? I got to find out where to go on a lone vacation again. Yep.

I know. So that'll be a topic of conversation. I'll take you guys' recommendations for my alone vacation. I do want to go over to Amy though who has two kids now. Your daughter's 12. Your son's 8.

Yep. And when is there a two-year anniversary for being in America? Like Christmas time? 22nd, 21st, 22nd, something. I was on your instant story last night and you were like, I've had a terrible parenting day. What happened?

I just felt defeated because, I mean, so Stevenson was... She's already gas-me-bred. She hasn't even started the story yet. Stevenson was just having some respect issues and was being really defiant. And all, nothing, everything was getting taken away. Like, everything.

He had nothing to do besides sit there anyways. Like, no, no tablet, no TV, no... I mean, he couldn't even read. read his book that he had to read for tutoring. Oh, wow, you took everything. No clothes, no water. He's butt naked and thirsty. She's like, do you want to keep going?

No restaurant bricks. At one point, oh, so then I have him right. So back to the respect thing. I'm like, okay, well, this is it. Y'all haven't been saying, yes, ma'am, yes, sir. I really, that's part of the thing. So Stashear is not even in trouble, but after. But she sort of gets in trouble just because I'm so fired up.

I'm like, Stevenson, you sit here at the kitchen island. You're writing, yes, ma'am, 50 times. And he can't really write that. Well, 50 times is a lot. Like, that's going to take him a while. I already know it. And I'm like 50 times. And then I march upstairs to Stasheera, and I said, Stasheera, you know what

what Stevenson's doing right now? He's writing yes, ma'am 50 times. It is non-negotiable. No longer can y'all just say, yeah, uh-huh, uh. Like, no, yes, ma'am is how we talk to adults in our household. I don't care if it's Uncle Bobby. No, not yes ma'am, though. Although I'd be, if that's why I mean right.

You'd be yes, sir, but I'm pretty sure I used you as an example of, like, you know, like fun people that come into your life. You still respect them. So, you know, became a whole thing. It wasn't even really about the whole issue. It wasn't about the yes ma'am, but it was about respect. And they were not having it. Well, Stevenson. And then poor social show she had a great day, but now she has to say.

And she was great. The rest of the night, everything we did. Yes, ma'am, yes, sir. I'm like, wow. Okay. So meanwhile, Stevenson is still downstairs riding yes ma'am 50 times. then he kind of gets over it and then just takes the pin

straight to the island like the marble the green on the island like the little marker pin thing moves the paper and starts writing on the counter yeah yeah yeah and I'm like oh no he didn't so then he stills to finish the 50

but he clearly needs to take a break and face the wall I was just out of ideas at this point He went to grade school. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So then he can sit crisscross the applesauce facing the wall. I still don't ever.

I don't ever let my kids, like, he doesn't go to timeout in a room by himself. Because we adopted them. There's the whole, we've just heard time and time again with the abandonment attachment disorder, abandonment issues. Like, you don't want them to ever feel like, am I in a room alone? Is anybody ever coming back to get me? So I'm like, you can stay right there. I'm going to be here, right here working next to you, but you face the wall.

You'll look at anything else. So then I go to him and I say, do you understand why you're facing the wall? And then he's like, he admits to writing. Because at first he told me he didn't write on the counter on purpose. Okay. So then he admits to doing it on purpose. And then I say, okay, are you ready to get back up and finish your 50? And he was like, uh-huh.

And I was like, oh, no. Clearly you're not because you should respond. Yes, ma'am. Face the wall. So then he faces the wall. I mean, I honestly hit a low to where I can't even, I don't, I'm sort of laughing, but I can't laugh. I got to keep like the poker face. And then, so then he gets back up.

Finally, he says, yes, ma'am, gets back up on the counter. Then after he completes the 50, which takes forever, by the way, he says, I said, okay, do you understand why you did this? And he was like, he's just like thinking. It can't give me an answer. And I said, what did you learn from this? He cannot give me an answer. And I know that he knows, but he won't answer. So I was like, you know what?

50 more. Oh, wow. So he had to do 100. Oh, boy. And like, I couldn't leave the room either. And I was like, this is so dumb. And I was like, is this working? Is this working?

Because, like, I feel like teachers do that, right? Like, you have to ride on the board like a hundred times. Like, I will not. Yeah, like, little house on the prairie. I know. That's what I kept thinking to myself. I was like, I have no idea if this is effective, but I've already put it into place. So I can't back down.

And then so he finishes the 100. It takes, there was a dinner break in there where he got to come eat. We ate as a family at the table. You're so generous. Yeah, it's nice of you. We let them have nutrients. But it took over three hours for him to complete the task. And there was times, Bobby, where he thought, I think he thought, because I gave him like four sheets of paper to do the 50.

And his little brain, he's like, oh, well, if I just cover the paper. So he did one, yes, ma'am, huge, really big, that he thought. thought that would count as more or something. And I'm like, nice try. And I crumbled it up. 500. He's still writing right now. He never slept.

So anyway, y'all, he got to the 100. And then when he was done, I said, do you understand why you did this? And he said, yes, ma'am. And I said, and what did you learn from this? And he goes, to say yes, ma'am. And I was like, boom, this worked. What is up? It took hours.

But I think we had a breakthrough. And now if my kids do not say yes, sir, to any of you or yes, ma'am, in this room, you tell me. I'm not. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. I mean, no, no, that's it. No, parents need. You call me, we're good, buddy. You call me Eddie.

Yeah, yeah. This is where, this is what's wrong with the marriage. Oh, boy, here we go. What? Go ahead. Parents need reinforcement. They need people in their lives that are going to help them raise respectful children. There you go.

And when you come in and you've got friends, they're like, it's okay, buddy, you don't have to say yes, sir to me. Okay, well no, you're ruining everything we're trying to do. We're trying to raise kids with respect. I'm just trying to be fun, Bobby. I'm going to be honest with, I just want when I come around, the eyes light up. You know? That's good. So, anyway, it took forever, but I had no, I felt like I had no idea of what I did was right if it was effective form of parenting.

But I'm telling you guys, once, I'm glad I made it go to 100 because at that point he learned. Maybe it took 100. Yeah. And then. Oh, boy. Oh, there's more? Then he gladly grabbed his reading book that he had to do for tutoring, which normally he hates. And he was like, I'm going to read now, Mom.

Because, I mean, he couldn't watch TV or do anything else. So I was like, I mean, I think he literally was like, this is my form of entertainment for the night. I'll take it. I'm exhausted hearing the story. Right? So welcome to my house yesterday. And I'm leaving out like a ton of other things. But you all need to know the nitty-gritty.

Well, I would want to get an update on the lunchbox got that extra money. He's actually had a similar situation to happen. So I wanted to see an update on him as well. Okay, well, this would be fun. So lunchbox you got a check and there was, you put it in and they gave you too much credit for it, right? Yeah, I to the ATM and deposited two checks, $360, and they said, would you like to complete your deposit of $1,060? And I was like, uh, yeah, $700 extra? Yes, and I deposited it in the

bank. And how long ago was that? It was a few months because I planned a trip to Las Vegas for my wife and I bought plane tickets with that money, and we went to Vegas and we're back. And have they taken the money back yet? Nah, they haven't heard anything from the bank. So still nothing. Yeah, I don't know, maybe, because this ATM's, kind of in a shady spot. Like it's not, so maybe they don't check it very often.

They don't know. That's the rule. But, uh, so what is your story, Melissa? So I got overpaid. Um,

I did some work and, uh, got overpaid. And I actually checked with somebody. I was like, hey, I, was I supposed to get this much?

Like, you know what? Kind of as a blessing from the Lord. So I was like, okay. Um, well, then the higher up just came to me,

um, yesterday actually, like, hey, so you're going to have to pay us this back. I was like, oh, and it was probably three months ago. Yeah, oh, right about lunchboxes time. Yeah, so it was a while ago, and then, like I said,

they, I guess, caught it to end at their fiscal year, and so, you know, they're trying to, like, make sure all the numbers add up, and we're like, oh, that doesn't add up. Then you gave it back, huh? Or did you just run? I would just run out of the room. Oh, you want my money back? Yeah. Well, I have to pay it back on like a payment plan because I was like, oh, like you can't pay all that right now.

You know, just when I think I'm starting to be cool and hip, I do the Benny Hill theme from like the 60s. This brought you way back. And I realized, there's nothing cool and hip about this guy. Hey, thank you for the call, Melissa. I do think, though, to look at something like that as a blessing from the Lord is wrong. Because somebody messed up and it's going to be in trouble if it does. So, like, that's not a blessing from the Lord. That's somebody, like somebody could be fired.

somebody could get reprimanded like that's not a blessing from the Lord and who am I to say what a blessing from the Lord is but I would imagine if somebody else is screwing up and it's you benefit from it and they don't benefit from it that's not a blessing from the Lord just a little two cents

I've had my share of blessings from the Lord and I didn't feel like that was one of them I just wanted to say that and she had to give it back Lunchbox but it's yours a blessing from the Lord Oh absolutely I'd say thank you every day I'm like man praise the man upstairs for hooking me up The money gods, they were looking out for me. There you have it. So I was able to announce yesterday that I went on and did my couple days out in the wilderness with Bear Grills on his show Running Wild with Bear Grills. He takes out celebrities into the wild. So far this season, he's done with Bree Larson, who was Captain Marvel. I'm not sure I can say who the others are, but I'm by far the least famous. And I'm just like, did they, at one point, put everybody in a bucket that had a blue check mark and just draw a name and I was the one.

But I did. I spent two days. I can't say where I went yet, but Bear left me this voicemail. Hey, Bobby, it's Bear just to say, well done again on all you did on Running Wild. Did you eat anything crazy? Because I guess the shows they watch, they eat, like he eats like caterpillars. It's not about eating crazy things. It's about what you have to find something to eat because you're there for 48 hours. You take nothing with you. I will say that I did eat. And it was something you didn't want to eat. And it wasn't a hot pocket.

All right. Okay. All right. Go ahead. Did you almost die? Yeah. Oh yeah. Yes.

Yes. Yes. Many times. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. Yeah, my legs were trembling.

At one point, I couldn't control my legs because they were trembling so hard. So yes, go ahead. Then they asked, well, did he see any cool animals? Yeah. Yes, yes, yes. I have to answer very carefully, but go ahead. Okay, and then it says, well, are you and bear really good friends now? I think that we came away from that cool, and he was also a really cool guy.

He gave me a cell phone number and was like, Bobby, reach out anytime you want. So I wouldn't say really good friends. We spent two days together, but we were naked. Now, I'm just kidding. We all believed it. Interesting question. I thought it was naked and afraid. I took off my clothes off at the beginning of the show.

I'm ready. All right, Bear, I'm ready. It's like, what are you doing, man? All right, do you have one more? Yes, one more. And when are you going to be on TV, obviously? That's the big question. In the winter.

What they do is they help former inmates avoid homelessness. And is part of his job to go around and collect money from places that have been, you know, like say, you. could drop some money off in a bucket, oh, for Souls Harbor. Well, he had gone around town, collected $2,000. Then he was headed to the bank and realized he didn't have the bank

bag. So he was like, what do I do? So he started thinking, what other stores did I pick up from? And on a security camera, he realized that he put it on top of the car and drove away. Oh. So he thought the money was gone forever. But a few days later, he got a call from the police that the money had been found. A pair of

Department of Transportation workers found the cash in a pile on the side of the road and they took it to the police. $2,000 cash. Yeah. Pretty awesome. The cash thing is weird because you can walk away. Nobody ever knows.

Get home. Only problem is there's no liquor at the bartending school. They use colored water because they're like, we're not going to waste all that liquor, just pouring it out. That's funny, funny.

22 bottles gone, and people were really disappointed. I wonder if they ever caught. It doesn't even matter. I hope they weren't caught. As a matter of fact. No, they weren't caught. Yeah. That's funny. All right.

I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. across America. I travel a lot. This story freaked me out. A woman who fell asleep on an Air Canada flight somehow got left on the plane.

So crazy. She is out. That's going to be you. I know. She woke up and she said this is what she did. She opened her eyes and it was cold and it was super dark and the plane wasn't moving

and then she looked around and she was alone. She was like, what has happened? So she was like, I've been left on the plane. She managed to get the plane door open. and used a flashlight on our phone to turn on to signal for help. Oh, my goodness.

How does a flight attendant leave a human on? It's not like it's a piece of paper in the back of a seat. Like a... You see a human. You know how sometimes after a long day work, you just want to go home? No, no, no, I understand that. It's just late. Part of that work is to make sure everybody get off the plane.

Maybe she blended in with the seats. What if her clothes were exactly... I don't know. That's like the only they think of. That's funny. Top songs in country music as of this week at number three. God's country. God's a jam, huh? Yeah, that's good.

put up a tent, sleeping bags, pillows, snacks, drinks, all the things, and they could camp out all night long by themselves, and it was going to be amazing. So got it all set up, did that, and sprinklers came on. Got them. We forgot to turn off the sprinklers. So everything's good. You want to keep it real?

Yeah. Well, yeah. Were they asleep? I mean, it was probably about, I don't know, 4 a.m. or something whenever. I don't know when it's set. But, I mean, we were thinking they would sleep in there at least till eight. But yeah, sprinklers came on. And they were soaked.

Sheets were soaked. Sleeping bags soaked. Flashlights soaked. That's funny. Headlights. They had all the things. Like, it was really. Headlights.

Headlights? Headlights. Had a car out there? Those little bands. On their head. On their head. Like, everything. Yeah. I was like headlights. I thought they put the car back there.

Well, how's the whole parenting thing going like overall? We really, I guess we haven't really talked about that. We talk about specific, but do you feel more comfortable with a parent now? They've been here almost two years. Amy adopted two kids, by the way, from Haiti. I guess she's 12. She's 12 and he's 8. About to be 9.

Yeah. I guess I, yes, some things that I figured out, I'm like, okay, I'm learning as we go. once I've learned it, I'm like, okay, jot that down in my little parenting notebook. And then other things, I feel like you're constantly coming upon things that you've never dealt with before and you kind of just got to figure it out. So I guess I'm getting figured out faster maybe. Are you less anxious all the time about it, though? Yeah.

And are you more understanding mistakes, I guess is my question. Yes. I'm way more understanding of that. I'm becoming way more chill than I thought I was going to be. I thought I was going to be so uptight about things, especially their diet. and I think people that we hang out sometimes expect that of me because they just, that's how I always thought I would be. And they're like, oh, Amy, oh, you probably don't like your kid.

Like, if I had a dollar every time I had another parent, look at me and say, you probably don't let your kids do this. Like, I'm the big party pooper. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What kind of image have I created? So now I'm really trying to let that down. And I'm like, whatever, my kids can have it. I'm cool.

I'm cool. I'm cool, mom. So I'm like, so I'm pretty sure this, whatever, this last weekend, and my daughter had like four popsicles in a row because I'm cool. Dang. Because all the other kids were getting to get it. And I was like, I'm cool. Yeah, cool.

So what I've been doing, though, is like I put it up, squirt on my mouth. Hope it finds its way. Swallow it. Just kind of hope it makes its way. That's not how to do it? Yeah. No. No, I don't think that'll work.

we now right outside of the town have a dollar general right outside of Mountain Pine which is a big deal for us and to go to town was always to drive to Walmart which was 20 minutes you have to pass a junction and go to Walmart but yeah it's crazy when people call in because her town's even smaller than mine no traffic client. It's nothing like that. We didn't have the Yum Yum Shop that would sometimes come into play. That's the commune store? No. It was where you go and get like, they make like burgers

and stuff. And sometimes for years the Yum Yum Yum Shop would be open for like three, then they were close. And then they're close for like two or three years and then someone to reinvigorate the Yum Yum Shop. So currently the Yum Yum Shop is not open. But don't sleep. Don't sleep on the Yum Yum Yum shop. Because sometimes, and that's a good name for a place, the Yum Yum Yum. Yeah. I've done yoga with goats. And then I saw this art. article this morning about a new trend, yoga with tigers. Whoa. Lions, tigers, and other big cats. So you're going to be able to exercise the body of mind and spirit combined with these animals. First of all, I don't like it because they're doing some of these tigers that don't eat you

because tigers, if they want to eat you, should be able to eat you. That's what natural tigers should do. So I'm not getting in a yoga class. I either don't like it or I wouldn't do it. Okay, here's what we're going to do today, class. We're going to do yoga with people with the flu. One out of four of us have the flu. We're not going to tell you which one, but let's just be fun.

It's just a terrible idea for two reasons. One, because either you get eaten by the tiger or two, they're doing something to the tiger that they shouldn't be doing to the tiger to, like, calm it down. Sedate the tiger. And sometimes also you see so far because you're up high and it's clear, you can see like 100 miles. And he's like, you just see things out there and think it's an alien or a spaceship. That's like mermaids, like the pirates said they saw. They were just C-6.

Nobody's talking about mermaids. Same thing, man. So in this 2015 video, you can hear the Navy pilot describing an object outside of his cockpit window while on military training off the coast of Jacksonville. The cockpit anymore. Oh, yeah, flight deck. Thank you. Yeah.

Well, that's a whole different thing altogether. Maybe, I don't even think the conversation had to be better. Like, they just went for the free meal. I know girls who've done that.

Oh, that's rude. Yeah. Maybe even to me. Really? Yeah, I mean, that probably could have happened. Yeah. Yeah. You know, we haven't talked about my dating life in a while.

Thank you. Thank you. Out of nowhere. Rachel Hunter was her name. I had Carrie Edwards, who is Luke Bryan and Cole Swindle's manager come over, and you talk about just some great stories. I'm going to give you a couple clips. Carrie talked about when she met Luke Bryan 15 years ago when he was just a singer-songwriter.

She's the only manager he's ever had. He had just been signed as a writer maybe the month before. So he was brand new to town. He came to town. I got hired to help him do his catalog and co-writes and pitch his songs. And I knew he did like an artist thing in Georgia, but I truthfully didn't really ask a lot of questions about it then. I mean, I was focusing on his writing and getting, you know, trying to get him a song cut. Check this Bobbycast out.

At one point, we talked about Luke for a while. We talked about what a manager means, but also she's Cole Swindell's manager. And Cole, she talks about what just show up to Luke's show as a fan. And then at one point Luke calls her and is like, can we get Cole a job like doing anything? Because he wants to move to town. But I remember the day that he called and said, I just got the phone

with Cole and he really wants to move to town. Do you have a job for him? And I go, Cole, you know, the kid from Georgia and I went, no, I don't have a job for Cole. I was like, how are we going to pay Cole? And he was like, oh, I just want to help him. He wants to move to town. I'm like, well, we do need somebody to sell your T-shirts. And he went,

perfect. I'll call you back. This is an amazing bobbycass. Wow. We went, I mean, I could play you so many clips. Just search Bobbycast after our radio show is over. Carrie Edwards, who is Luke Brian, Cole Swindell's manager, amongst other people. But she said that Cole sold T-shirts for two to three years, even before he was like a song, like the songwriter part of it. I think he sat back and kind of watched it and learned.

And he didn't do the artist thing for a while. You know, he was probably out with a selling t-shirts for probably probably. two or three years before I ever really even saw him. I saw him. That many years, huh? So he and Michael Carter, Luke's guitar player, started getting in the back of the back lounge or the bus and write. It's just a fantastic podcast.

It's a fantastic. She was the best guest. I'll play you one more clip. That just found fascinating. Before she got into accidentally managing Luke Bryan, and not accidentally where they were just like, we have no option, but she'd never plan to be a manager. She said that she was doing A&R and publishing.

She's like finding songs for people. And for, she found a hit for Brooks and Dunn called Time Marches On. Now, if you know the real story, Brooks and Dunn didn't cut Time Marches on, Tracy Lawrence did. This is the song. And she talked about that. It was like a big story back then. Because, I mean, we were very passionate about the song. And I'm not sure at the time if Brooks and Dunn had heard it when Tracy heard it first.

So there was a bit of controversy back in Nashville. Because Brooks and Dunn had Time Marches on on Hole. Now, the producer end up doing the right thing, and he let them have a shot on it, and they end up letting Tracy have it. So I think in the end up being fair. She compared it like a baseball trade where they were just trading out stuff, like so on the stuff. Oh, wow. It's amazing. Check out the newest Bobbycast.

Basically of what it feels like. I mean, and then does he have 34 groomsmen? Because normally you try to match, but...

If that were the case with me, I don't think I know 34 dudes. Yeah. They have too many friends. Casmee Carter says she needed each and every one of them with her. She worked as a singer and entertainer most of her life. I've lived in several cities and she's like, you know, I got six biological sisters and then all these other women,

and she has 34 bridesmaids. So it doesn't say about the groomsmen if it's equal. Surely it's not. I know that would be a lot of people up there. You had 70 people up there in the way. Like I had 100 people at my wedding, I think, so. A bride was caught scamming her bride's party, her bridal party, because she was like, hey, everybody,

the dresses are 400 bucks each. And I'll go ahead and get those. But give me that money. I'll make sure you get them. Pay me back. Really, they were $200 each. And she was taking $200 bucks off the top from all of our bridesmaids. But if you combine both stories and if she were to have 34 bridesmaid, she'd have made some serious cat.

But yeah. Isn't that crazy? I mean, yeah, it started to make me wonder, too. Like, have people, it's like a thing. Like, people do that and they just don't get busted. Because, yeah, sometimes it is easier for the bride to just buy everything. And then, yeah, you write her a check and pay her back. I saw that in a Reddit thread.

I stand in Reddit all the time. Two of my favorite Reddit areas, I read the Bridezilla ones because those are funny, and then I read Keanu Reeves. There's a whole Keanu Reeves one where he's amazing. And it's just amazing Keanu Reeves stories. And then I do 90s, like 90s music. That's one I like to look at.

And then there's another one that's called Crappy Design. I stand Reddit way too much. What's on that one? It's just things that are designed terribly. And they just... Yeah. I should go over there. Yeah, I won't really go to Reddit.

You got dip your toe in. You don't just jump into Reddit. But it's... Whatever you like, there's a subreddit for it. Got it. Regardless. Let's talk to Ashley and Georgia who's on. Hey, Ashley, how are you?

My six-year-old was in the car and listening, and we just had a conversation this morning about being respectful and, you know, her manners and all that stuff. And she was still defining everything I said.

And then I turned around and asked her if she was listening and she got all embarrassed and she said, yes. So I asked her if she was going to what she was going to say when she went to my friend's house today. And she said, yes, ma'am. So I just wanted to give a shout out that she was doing the right job. Thank you. And let me say this. As someone who's looking from the outside in, it seems like there's not a right answer when it comes to parenting. Yeah. There's just your way and sometimes it's wrong.

And sometimes to be wrong, you learn how to do it even more right the next time. So, I'm a great parent. I just don't have any kids. Yeah, I think we're all just figuring it out. And to full disclosure, I've got to say, I work for ABC. Mm-hmm. And if I were to say that I hadn't been approached to be on the bachelor, so I have a connection to the show, but I don't watch this show. Right. So a lot of my questions are maybe will sound dumb. Okay. Just smile and bear. Bring it on.

Just bear with me. I've gotten lots of questions. Okay. Okay, so you are dating this dude named Jed. Yes. Okay. And how long had you guys been together? We had been together for four months.

We'd been together three weeks when he initially told me about the opportunity. He had already applied before we even met. So it was kind of this like looming thing from the very beginning. You know, casting processes go on for months and months and months. It was kind of a maybe this could happen. Maybe this could not happen. Do we give up on something that's kind of. cool and we have this really cool connection for a maybe I'm going to go maybe I'm not so that's

kind of where it all started and then it just evolved he auditioned before he met you by the way fair for him right I would say right now that now that we know that now that we're just trying to figure who side him on here yeah okay so he auditions before but he tells you hey I still may go yes now if that's the case and I saw this text screenshot you put out yesterday where he said I love you Now, that's where I start to go. Did he really love you? Well, I mean, obviously, a lot of this in hindsight I've thought about, and I'm like, I don't know, maybe. I mean, everything in me wants to believe, yes, that all of this was really, meant everything he said.

And then, you know, you get on, I wasn't there. I don't know what happened. I still don't. I haven't gotten any sort of explanation, so I still don't know what happened. You've heard nothing. Nothing. This is amazing. Yeah.

So, by the amazing, to me, my entertainment about you. Not amazing, but you're having to go. I'm like, okay, yeah. So you're together four months. Okay, not a terribly long time. Right. For me at four months, I don't even know if I'm considered dating anyone yet. Like, I'm a real slow mover.

For four months you got, but he's saying I love you. He's texting you this. You feel like maybe he's the one. I mean, it's hard to say now. But yeah, I mean, the thing is that, you know, because this has kind of been, essentially from the time that we started talking about this, this is like, okay, this is going to be six weeks of our relationship at the end of it, you know, this is an incredible opportunity.

What a platform. I'm a musician. You're a musician. You know, we're talking about this in sort of hypotheticals. You know, these are characters in a TV show. This is acting. The way I thought about it and we kind of talked about it is like if he was going to be on Gray's Anatomy and he's got to be the love interest to somebody else.

You know, you don't think about it in the sense of it doesn't seem real. You know, in hindsight, I've seen the show now. I'm like, okay, this is a genuine girl that's. It's, you know, dating these guys. She's putting her heart on the line. They're putting their hearts into it. Hopefully, I don't know, once again. Who knows what's real and what's not?

But, you know, for me, this, it is all. It's real. I mean. Okay. All right. Haley Stevens is here, but her ex-boyfriend, Jed Wyatt, is on the Bacheloret right now. They're dating. He leaves.

He says, I'm going to go be on the Bachelorette. It's just for fun to promote my music career. Then he comes back and ghosts. And Ryan, he's still on the show. Are you watching the show? Absolutely not. You're not watching the show. I mean, it's hard not to see.

these, you know, clips and things, and people obviously send me little videos. And I'm like, oh. Why would they send you little videos? I don't know. Stop checking your DMs. Stop. Stop sending, please. So a story when I, five or six years ago, I was dating a girl. And this is pre-recent conversations, but the Bachelorette also approached me. And they said, hey, we're looking for somebody kind of funny. Right. You know, obviously, not the heart throb, but they're looking for somebody a little goofy to be on that show. And I went to my girlfriend at the time. And I said, the Bachelorette has asked if I would consider coming on. And she said, well, you can go on, but if you go on, you won't come back and I will not be here.

And so that kind of shut that down real quick. Totally. Because I was going to go on for the same reason. Like, let me go see if I can promote, you know, maybe the radio show at the time. Yeah. You didn't tell them, hey, if you leave and you make out with her and I see it, we're done. No. And, you know, in hindsight, once again, this could have been a different ball game.

But, you know, the way we talked about it seriously was just like, okay, this is acting. And we even approached that. This is not like this was just this fun thing where I'm like, yeah, go make out with this girl. This is going to be super fun. It's no big deal. I mean, there were many nights that I cried over this. There were many serious conversations that were had about this. So, you know, it's not like it's just a lighthearted thing or it was an easy decision to make.

But at the same time, you know, we're independent artists and opportunities like that don't come along every day. So, and beyond that, you know, when we're talking about it, he's saying, you know, I don't want to make it past the top five. So even then I'm thinking, okay, well, there are 30 guys on this show. What are the odds that they're going to form this real connection? Obviously, good now. Yeah, obviously they were much better than I was anticipating.

You text them? Like after the show, did you text them and be like, hey, what up, dude? What's the deal? No, I just honestly, you know, I waited, you know, I waited, you know, all these months. And even in the end when I start thinking, because, you know, there are spoiler accounts and I can see he's like top four, top three.

And I'm thinking, okay, this isn't good. Like, obviously this isn't going to work out. I'm preparing myself for that. But then, you know, I get on social media the day after the premiere. He still isn't back. And he's spoil anything if you're going to. I won't. I won't.

Okay. But he's posting, you know, he's back on his social media. And I haven't heard anything. And I'm like, okay. Well, surely. surely he's going to get home and tell me something. And then a day goes by and then two. And I'm like, okay, maybe it's contractual.

Maybe he's just going to show up at my... I keep hoping for this, like, moment of redemption. Like, it still is hard for me. You know, of course, all my friends are like at my back, like, you know, angry. And I'm like, guys, okay, we still don't know. Like, maybe there's something. Maybe he has some explanation.

And still no. So it was almost two weeks before I ran into him and approached him. Oh, yeah. Well, hold on. Go ahead. And where do you see him? At a venue in Midtown. Okay, like in Nashville.

In Nashville. Lots of our friends are around. Of course, everybody felt super tense and awkward and everybody knows, you know, the situation. Everybody knew pre-filming. Is he a country artist? Is that what he considers himself? Pop, I think. You think?

Yeah. You don't even, he loved you, but you don't know what kind of artist he is? Well, pop soul is what he said. Okay. So genre lines blurred, I suppose. Go ahead. A lot of blurry things. thing. All right, go ahead. So you see him or what do you, do you go up to him? Well, so first I walk

in, we see each other and he walks away and goes on a patio away from me. Wait, what? Yeah. Well, and at this point, I'm, I am like, okay, everyone feels so awkward. This is the most dramatic night in all of Nashville. Hello, everyone. I'm even like making jokes in that regard. Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Most Dramatic Night in Nashville. Oh, I get it, like a parody of The Bachelor. Yeah, this is great. Okay. Most dramatic night ever. So we, uh, we, uh, we, uh, he walks up on a patio with a bunch of his friends and I was like, of course then I'm kind of getting like fired up. I'm like, you're kidding me right now. So I walked upstairs and just said, hey, and he said, how have you been? I said, how do you think I've been? And he said, goodness gracious. How do you think I've been? And he was like, I said, you didn't think I deserved a phone call. And he said, I didn't know what to say. And I'm like, okay. And he said, I know we need to talk. I'm like, okay, well, not here. And then he held his beer out to cheers me.

Oh, he cheers you. Cheers me. And no better reason to cheer someone than. Oh, my gosh. How awkward of a cheers. So we cheered. Maybe the most awkward. You cheer.

Why did you cheers them? I don't know. I felt really uncomfortable. No, believe me, I've gotten this speech. Hey, why would you cheers him? Well, I don't know because the alternative was what? Smash it. I don't walk away.

Okay. Listen, it's easy for us to look back at it. Okay, so this hat. Then, but where does the night end? So, well, it wasn't, I mean, I walked to my duo partner and I said, we got to go. We got to leave right now. And I made it to the parking lot before, you know, I kind of lost it. This is still Nashville.

You still have to, you know, I'm a musician as well. I can't exactly just lose my cool and cry in the middle of, you know, this venue. So we go outside and then I lose it. Now I will say the next day he calls me while I'm on the phone with my mom. So that's the only like outreach that has happened since that time. And I, you know, my mom's like, well, just take a minute. You don't have to answer right now. You know, this is a lot.

Obviously, I'm like still really upset from the night prior. And so I didn't answer no voicemail and didn't hear from him again until we played the same show at CMA Fest. So that was, that's kind of been the like timeline of. And that was what we can have a go? CMA Fest or so. Okay. Here's what we're going to do. Hey, by the way, Haley Stevens is here.

Jed goes, hey, I'm going to go on The Bachelorette just to promote my music. He's still on The Bachelorette as of right now. He never called.

He got back, didn't call you until you ran into him. Whole awkward. You haven't really spoken except one awkward encounter. We spoke briefly at the CMA Fest, and that's... What was that conversation? It pretty much consisted of, you sounded great. Are you okay? I said, yeah.

I said, how are you? And he said, it's all just really weird. It's just moving really quickly. He tried to kiss you? All right. Listen, here's the thing, right? Like, you know some of this is on you, right? Lay it on me.

Oh, absolutely. Okay. And I don't think you're playing super victim, a little victim, which I'd feel a little victim too, because he probably should have called when he got back and just giving you a heads up. Right. The first part of this, I think it's your fault. You got to go, dude, pick me or this show.

I know he's only together four months. If you pick the show, I get it. Yeah. And I think that's on you. But if you guys had said, he says, I'm going to go, then I'm going to come back. Totally. Even if he falls in love on that show, the human, a good human goes, hey, I know we said this, and this is going to be really uncomfortable for you to see,

but even though we're not together right now, I do care about you. I fall in love with somebody else. So I'm 51% on your side. Amy, it's out barely. But it is. Yeah. Because it was agreed upon. Oh, I'm on her side.

How much percentage? I'm higher than 51. Well, I just think you could have stomped this out from the beginning and been like, You know, if you want to do the Bachelorette, go do the Bachelorette. We can reevaluate us when you get back. But I'm still like, because he should have made the call. Like that's not, that's a good dude. Even if he messes up at the beginning, trust me, I've messed up, I've ghosted people, I've been ghosted.

I've been on both sides of that. It's just not a good person thing to just ignore. Right. And Hizmann knew the whole time. Yeah. Well, and you know, the biggest thing is from the very beginning, you know, like playing the victim thing, If I truly wanted to play the victim or whatever, I would never have admitted to the fact that I was on board in the beginning.

So, you know, I take full ownership of the fact that we talked about this. I knew about this from the beginning. So, you know, there is that. You know, I signed up for this relationship. But this is, and I will say this is the first person that I ever even said, I love you too. So ever? Ever. Ever in my life. Why would you say that at four months, though?

Bobby, there's no timeline on last. No, there's not. I've been to my four years and didn't say it. No, I've said it at four months. You're fine. Oh, okay. Go ahead. Well, they said it after, you know, a few weeks.

A day. So I don't really know. Yeah. But, you know, and the other thing is that this is like, it's not like we just randomly out of the blue at dinner one night said, I love you. This is like, you know, this was kind of a whirlwind thing. And I think that, you know, these are extraordinary circumstances in the fact that there's this, like, sense of desperation to.

and maybe subconsciously maybe I somewhere I knew maybe this isn't going to go the right way and there's this like because I'm talking we're spending every day together and it's this like desperate love instead of you know feeling like it felt like they're to me I'm like maybe I feel like

there's this end like okay this day that he leaves maybe that maybe it is the end but maybe but he says he's coming back so you know there's just like a lot of emotions right there are a lot of emotions that because because you knew that he was going to be leaving Right. You went into maximizing all of your time together. Oh, we have to be together every single moment.

You know, we went to the Bahamas. Anyway, you know, you... By the way, he's got some nice abs. I got to tell you, is all the picture? I'm in love with them, too. I'm just going to say to all the trolls on the internet that instantly think he's not attractive. He is.

Yeah, he's a good-looking dude. He's good-looking. Is he short, though? No? Oh, is he not? I wish he was. Dang. Bobby just wants everybody to be shorter.

I know. Well, I mean, I'm six-foot one. He's six-foot. Oh, crap. I just got beat. She gets six to. Stop. That's close.

The dude she was dating left her to go be on The Bachelorette. And he's still on right now. And he said, hey, when I get back, we're back together.

But apparently he's falling in love with the girl on the show. We're here now. Lunchbox, go ahead. Yes. Before he leaves, do you set rules like, you can't go past second base or we're over? Or how does that conversation go? It was more like, don't do it. Just don't.

I mean, I knew, you know, I knew there were going to be conversations had. I knew there were things I have seen. I'm not a big watcher of the show. but I have seen where they, I've never seen a show where almost every guy doesn't say that they're either falling in love with her or are in love with her. Okay, knew that was coming.

I knew they were probably gonna have to kiss. Beyond that, don't do it. No touching. Don't do it. I always felt like that show was a lot of people faking it. But then I did a show, I did Dancing with the Stars where you're just in a bubble the whole time.

And I totally see how you fall into super quick love. It's not real, but you fall into the, because your whole world is in this bubble, and that's all that matters. And like, I get it. If I were going on The Bachelor, that first day, I'd be like, oh, I'm going to love you. I would just do it. I've now been in one of those bubbles before. So, lunchbox, one more question.

One more or two more. One more. Secretly, just between you and I. Okay, I'm ready. And the rest of the world. Is this the best thing that's ever happened to you, really? I know it's a weird question. She looked at him like, do you just fart it?

Like that was the face you gave him just then No, no, no, because you are now, I mean, your name is out there, your duo's name is out there, and you found out that, you know what, this guy's not real, so it could, is it really deep down maybe the best thing that ever happened to you? I mean, let's say this, you know, we both said on the front end, and especially, I know my letter is out there, you know, we'll be thankful for this. So, yeah, I'm thankful. You know, I could have found out something like this could have happened.

two years down the road. You know, we're four, we're four months into this thing where I'm finding out, okay, this wasn't right. So moving on. And I could have never anticipated that it would have gone this far, blown up as much as it has. In fact, when, you know, people started approaching me, I thought, nobody's even going to believe me, nor are they going to care. I am not, I'm not the Bachelorette. Nobody, you know, I'm not ABC. So why would anyone care? And now they do. So here we are. And honestly, beyond that, I have gotten this overwhelming amount of messages from people in general, but mostly women that say, I have been in a simpler situation. I didn't feel like I could stand up for myself. I didn't feel like anybody would understand.
