Starting point is 00:02:53 What is that? Family macaroni and cheese recipe, that's what we call it. What's special about it? I've only had it. with my family. It came from... No, I mean, like, what's special about the food? Like, what makes it Alabama?
Starting point is 00:03:06 It's cooked, because we'd always eat it there, but it's cooked... Oh, gosh. It's cooked in a... You know, I had a lot of Arkansas turkey. You know, I had a lot of... Arkansas chicken. So, apparently my dad and uncle worked on it together, and it's cooked in a cast iron skillet, and it's got the macaroni noodles, but then five different types of cheese and
Starting point is 00:03:28 butter and awesomeness. It's so good, and it's layered and cooked, and then you bake it in the oven. Can you make it? Yeah, I make it a lot. I've made it for, when you hosted Thanksgiving several years ago, I made it. Do you remember? Oh, yeah, I was not thinking about it. Remember Alabama mac and cheese?
Starting point is 00:03:47 Yo. Yo. That's... Why don't you bring some up sometime? Okay. Make some for the group of here. All right. I'll eat it.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I guess it didn't leave that big of an impression on you when I brought it to your house. Eddie, what's yours? Oh, mine's easy. Fajitas. Oh, stop. What? That's my meal, man. I'm telling you, I have a meat market that I go to that make the best meat, and then I grill it, and then I heat up my tortillas, flour tortillas.
Starting point is 00:04:13 I like those with the little onion and bell peppers, put it in a little sauce pan after the grill. Oh, my gosh, it's perfect. Lunchbox has had it. I've had it. Really good. Oh, you've had it. It's delicious. When I lived with you.
Starting point is 00:04:24 What's the kind of meat? Yeah, when you live with me. What's the kind of meat that makes it so special? What cut or? Oh, it's a. I mean, it's always a skirt, a beef skirt, but that's what a fajita steak is. I always. But this market, for some reason, I just feel like where they get their meat from, it's delicious.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Morgan, you have one? Yeah, it's breakfast enchiladas. They're vegetarian, but they are so good. So just like your standard enchilada Mexican dish, but breakfast style. Lunchbox? SpaghettiOs. I make a mean spaghettios with pepper and parmesan cheese. You'll never go back to normal SpaghettiOs after I cook those for you.
Starting point is 00:04:58 Like from the can? Yeah. Mine are a bit like his. My thing's like his because I don't cook. And like I do peanuts and then put them in a hot sauce. That's right. I don't have one. But you just dip peanuts in a hot sauce? Huh? You eat peanuts but you don't like peanut butter?
Starting point is 00:05:16 Absolutely. I love peanuts. So weird. But you do the chelula? Is that what you do? Uh-huh. Peanuts and chalula sauce. It's fantastic. And I just did that at a necessity because I had nothing in the food closet. And I was like, well, what can I mix to make something? and so that's what I started doing and it's pretty good
Starting point is 00:05:30 so I do that I don't know how to cook I can make spaghetti like I can make a baloney maybe it would be a baloney sandwich on white bread white bread baloney extra mustard
Starting point is 00:05:42 cheddar cheese take the crust off you smush it cheddar you smush it in yeah and then you can double it up if you got a little extra money
Starting point is 00:05:51 in the bank account that's in college sometimes I'd be able to buy two and then what do you drink Doritos no Doritos a mountain dew Like my child Like all of them
Starting point is 00:06:01 That's where it's at Ray Mundo What's your specialty Césidias I kind of sticking with the Mexican theme I golden the shell Almost perfectly And then I'll go pepper jack
Starting point is 00:06:12 Cheese as well as some Cheddar A sharper cheddar Saltered a little bit And it's really just a great little crisp It's like a food show Should we
Starting point is 00:06:23 Before fall Because my house is still empty because to order a couch and stuff takes forever. But in the next few weeks it should be done, should we have? Because we can have a gathering with us because we're together already. Yeah. Should we have a dinner, a potluck dinner where we all bring our specialty? That sounds awesome.
Starting point is 00:06:45 Right? I mean, that's not, no. Yeah, no. How do we, are we all? Cooking there? No, no, you bring it. We bring it. But should we pre-portion it already?
Starting point is 00:06:54 Or it's just like everybody. No, just bring it and it's pot. Hot luck. Okay. Oh, you're saying because of COVID? Well, yeah, but I mean, you're right. We're all together, but we probably distance, but if you go over to the thing with the Scooper, like.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Everybody bring their own scoper? Oh, interesting. B-Y-O-S. Okay. I'm just thinking ahead. No, yeah. But maybe I'll plan that for like October or something. Fun.
Starting point is 00:07:17 We do, maybe even sometime later this month, but I think that would be fun. Mike D., what do you cook? Anything? You can make a veggie stir fry. A veggie. Okay, you keep that home. A veggie stir. A veggie stir fry. You just need one portion on that one.
Starting point is 00:07:33 What, Amy? That could be fun. I mean, that detail of how we serve it could get worked out later. I can work on a plan for everybody. Scooves, Steve, what would you make and bring to this? I can cook all kinds of stuff. I can cook whatever you want. Italian, barbecue.
Starting point is 00:07:46 Okay. Easy with the cooking flex. Okay, let's your signature thing be. Siniture dish. I can do a, either lobster mac and cheese or a home-eemed. made Fettuccini-A-Fredo with either seafood or chicken. We already got a mac and cheese. Okay, then I'll do my Fettuccine-A-Fredo.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Unless we'll do a battle of the mac and cheese. No, yeah, let's battle it out. Battle of it out. If you add lobster to one, that's like, yeah, he'll win. So, yeah, fetichini. You can do Alabama add pork rinds. Yeah. That's what I eat when I'm driving to Alabama.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Every gas station has got like 19 different kinds of pork rinds. Well, Fettuccini sounds amazing to me. Okay. That's all I'll do. That would be yours. With chicken. All right, cool. But what about dessert?
Starting point is 00:08:26 Like my specialty at dessert is going to buy a good pumpkin pie. Do it. And that'll be your contribution. All right. That sounds fun though, huh? Morgan number two is good at desserts. I can. I can make the better than sex cake.
Starting point is 00:08:42 That's what it's called. Sorry, it's what it's called. I'm down. All right. I made it for Bobby's birthday one time. Did I eat it? Yeah, you loved it. Nice.
Starting point is 00:08:49 All right. That's what's up. I think we're about to wrap. The Mulan movie I saw a preview for that last night. Mike D. I'm going to ask you about this. Mulan is on Disney Plus, but it's not free on Disney Plus? It comes out on Friday. It's going to be 30 bucks to watch it. And then in December, it'll come free.
Starting point is 00:09:08 Okay. And people may go with 30 bucks. That's crazy. If you were going to a movie with a couple kids, I think it would cost that, right? All in? Yeah. It's probably more than that. You think so? Oh, I have four kids, so yes. Do you care about the Mulan movie? Yeah, I'm going to watch it. I'll pay for it. Since you do a movie podcast, you can write that off. Can I?
Starting point is 00:09:25 Yeah. Okay. That's work. And I'll buy it twice. Hey, Bones, you've asked about this twice already. Is something you're into? No, I just keep seeing the previews for it. Are you going to watch it?
Starting point is 00:09:34 And I love the VOD. Like, you can watch movies on demand that come right to the house. That's everything. I love it. Hopefully this stays. Yeah, having that for Bill and Ted was awesome. And I haven't seen Bill and Ted yet, but I'm about to get on that. So, all right.
Starting point is 00:09:45 Thank you, Mike. All right, that's it. Let's get to today's show. Enjoy it. We did. Goodbye. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable private nonprofit Christian University based

Starting point is 00:13:55 That's BetterHelp. H-E-L-P.com slash Bobby. Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. Hey guys, welcome to Wednesday show. Morning studio. Brothers Osborne coming in in about 15 minutes. You may know them from this song, It Ain't My Fault. This is their new one called All Night.
Starting point is 00:14:28 I got the all of y'all got the night. They're going to come play in the next. 15 minutes or so. The big news yesterday was the CMA Awards. I guess all the announcements, right? We can start with Entertainer of the Year. And Garth is not on the list. He did pull himself off.
Starting point is 00:14:47 I voted for a blank picture of him. I mentioned on yesterday's show. I still think he should have been in. There's no reason he shouldn't be in this top five. Your top five are Eric Church, Luke. Nice. It scared me. I felt like a clip jump me.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Luke Combs. Miranda Lambert Carrie Underwood And Keith Urban It's gonna be interesting Because you have this whole group of people That believe Eric Church has been screwed
Starting point is 00:15:25 Every year his whole life Since he was five years old Before he was even making music So like he should have wanted to him the year Before he even had a guitar You know there's that group of people Luke Combs is the biggest thing in the format right now He's rolling
Starting point is 00:15:35 I still think Garth Brooks is the true deserver of this but he's pulled himself out. Carrie is the one they think should have won last year. Keith won two years ago, and Miranda is here. You know who you're picking? I have to vote today. I either Carrie or Luke Combs.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Maybe, I don't. It's tough. I'm going to have to think about it. Amy, who would you pick? I'm voting for Carrie. Are you? Yep. Because of last year?
Starting point is 00:16:09 Yeah. Luke Holmes is amazing. I think he deserves it, but he could probably get it next year. You never know. People could die. Whoa. I'm saying you never know about what's happening next year. I never want someone to be like, hey, by we're going to give you a, you'll be fine.
Starting point is 00:16:22 You'll get it next year. Yeah. No, but if you feel like you deserved it last year and you didn't get it, I mean, they all deserve it. So let's be honest. It's really difficult. All right, let's see. No clips here, but for male vocalists of the year, it's mostly the same. Eric Church, Luke Combs, Thomas, Rhett, Chris Ableton, and Keith Urban.
Starting point is 00:16:42 That'll be Luke Combs or Chris. Stapleton for sure, probably Luke Combs. And the female vocalist, Miranda Lambert, Ashley McBride, Mirren Morris, Casey Musgraves, Carrie Underwood. That'll be a Miranda or Carrie. Kelsey Ballerini didn't make it. Wow. Shocked.
Starting point is 00:16:55 She got shot out. So, what? Well, why do you think it's just between Miranda and Carrie? I think Ashley McBride's a little too new. I get that part. I think... I mean, her voice is beautiful. Casey, and again, this isn't my preference,
Starting point is 00:17:12 because if I'm picking of who I listen to the most, it's Casey by far. Right. I don't think that the voters, the people that are voting, love Casey as much as they love like Carrie. Casey just isn't available. So I think some people hold that against her.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Marin's in the mix, but Miranda is kind of the critics pick for everything all the time. And Carrie is the biggest. So I'd put it up on one of those, too. What do I know? I know. I'm just a vote.
Starting point is 00:17:44 Did you pick one? Right now? Yeah, I mean, you can't if you want it. I mean, Miranda or Marin. Yeah. Yeah, Merrin could surprise you too. Okay, okay, here we go. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:17:57 Opinion-free news is coming to cable television starting today. Amazing. Now, they say unbiased journalism. Will people like that? I feel like people want to hear. opinions that they agree with. We've been conditioned now to only want to hear opinions we agree with. If it's in the news, it's on Twitter. We just want to hear how we already feel because it justifies our thoughts, it vindicates our feelings from our fights with our friends. How about we give people
Starting point is 00:18:30 the news and then give them the opportunity to feel how they want to about that particular thing? Oh, I get it. I think in a perfect world. That's amazing. It's just my encouragement to people. But their debut in this, let's see, last night, I don't get a chance to watch it. Three-hour primetime newscast that will air nightly on WGN America. 200 television stations across the country, 5,400 journalists, and they're just going to let it rip and say, this is news. We don't have any. And you know for the news people. Like I have friends, I have a couple friends that work at Fox News, and they're like, we have to say things even if we don't believe it sometimes.
Starting point is 00:19:02 Okay, I was watching. And I'm not going to say who they are because I'm not getting them in trouble. But I have two friends at work over there. And they go, oh, even if we don't, we know this isn't real, we have to say. this. And I'm like, that stinks. I'm not going to say what I was watching the other day, but it might have been on that station. And, I mean, because I watch it, but I thought, I almost could predict what this girl was going to say. And of course, before she said it, I predicted it in my head, that's what she was
Starting point is 00:19:25 going to say. And I'm like, do they go to commercial? And she's like, oh, I can't believe I had to say that. I'm so tired of this. That's exactly what I was picturing. I'm not only a Fox News thing. No, no, no. I know. I just know people over there. Right. You flip it to the next one and you know exactly they're going to lean the complete opposite and you can predict what they're going to say. And I wonder if that's how they really feel or if they're just like, okay, you just got to get paid. Well, I think sometimes you go and apply places that you feel like are right for you as well.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Yeah. So, well, regardless, that's happening. If you want to watch news without the bias. I think that's what our show is. Completely bias-free. On the Bobby Bone Show now. Brothers Osborne. How you guys doing?
Starting point is 00:20:06 Good, buddy. How are you? Pretty good to see. It's first time to not see you on a computer in a few months. That's true. I know it's weird. It feels really good though. It does.
Starting point is 00:20:14 Humans. Are you guys getting to play much in front of folks? No. Not at all. We haven't played in front of people at all. We went to Blackberry Farm a few weeks ago, but it was all social distancing, masks and all that. And we played for like 50 people and it felt like we had might as well been playing
Starting point is 00:20:30 for 50,000. It was so fun. Just an hour long acoustic. But other than that, it's been like, you know, Instagram live or Facebook or Zoom stuff. You know, it's good to see actual eyeballs. This is awesome, guys. Oh, good. We always are like, people either don't want to come in and play,
Starting point is 00:20:46 or they're just craving to come in and play because they just haven't played at all. Oh, we're craving it. I was, and I'll start with this, TJ, because I commented on your Instagram picture. Did you decide during quarantine just to lift weights and only eat chicken every day and do an ab workout? Honestly, when quarantine first hit, I decided only to drink, like, tons of beer and tequila and wine, and it was like, you know, it wasn't going well. So I decided to hit the brakes on that and try to turn it around a little bit. I'm still in the beer and tequila food.
Starting point is 00:21:13 And we did you see TJ's picture? He's ripped up on his truck. Yeah. I think I double tapped it. Yes. So did I. Is that a great for something? No.
Starting point is 00:21:23 I'm blushing now. Dude, it's just like been hitting a heart, huh? I have been, yeah. I feel good though. I think I even said on that comment that it's, we don't have a lot of time to really honestly take care of ourselves. We have a lot of fun, but it doesn't leave a ton of time for our health. So it's nice to focus on that for a minute.
Starting point is 00:21:37 Yeah. A lot of our friends left the fire emoji. and I was like, should I join in? But then I felt weird. So I was like, what? Well, I didn't want to look at it. I just went with my own heart before I looked. I wrote a little comment like,
Starting point is 00:21:48 and you forgot to, I forgot to mention I'm totally ripped, whatever. And then I started to read everybody from Casey used to, and then everybody was just like, bam, bam, bam. Well, I honestly, I like literally, like, thought about that for like days. I'm going to post this. Like, my boys are going to give me so much crap for this.
Starting point is 00:22:05 But I was like, all right, I'm going to put it up here. It's great. Good for you. Thank you. If you're working hard. Why in the world would you not be proud of it? Well, I guess I am proud of it, but I just all of the all the smack talking. That's jealousy.
Starting point is 00:22:17 That's jealousy. It happened, but I would expect nothing less. I tell you, I was talking about you guys the other day. And, you know, when I listen to music whenever I'm working out, it's mostly not country music, except it's all hip hop and some 90s rock and brothers Osborne. Dude, that's so sick. I love that. I think I saw a tweet of that or something recently, which was, thank you. Do you guys like being the?
Starting point is 00:22:39 the rocking country guys? I thought you were going to ask us to be like listening to ourselves. Well? Because like you guys have that intensity in country music. I tend to, I like kind of energy. It's really fun to be at a show and have a really high energy. It's something I really love. I like going to shows that are that way.
Starting point is 00:22:56 I mean, everything has its time and place. But that's awesome. I mean, that's a huge compliment that we've made your gym playlist. You've seen our live show. We want it to be like our live show. It's fun. It's rock and it's loud. It's full of energy.
Starting point is 00:23:07 And, you know, it's not like we consciously do it, it's just what's fun to play. On a live Brothers Osborne show, whenever it ain't my, you guys are doing it ain't my fault. And the whole freaking crowd is hands up. That is a moment. Every single, like, that's the moment for people if they're medium brothers Osborne fans.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Like if they've been exposed a little bit and they're coming, I think that's the converter for folks, because that's an intense. I think so too. That was actually a conscious thing. We're like, let's put this song like, I don't know, we'll start it off with I got my hands up because it worked with the lyric in the context of the song.
Starting point is 00:23:38 but I always realize I like songs that kind of just tell you what to do like, you know, like the hokey pokey. I don't know how to the song you know how to do the hokey pokey. It's just told you how to do it. Well, listen, I also love that you guys are putting out new music because I'm just a fan of you guys aside from
Starting point is 00:23:57 liking you guys as people. So let's see, skeletons. I'm going to hit a few of these tracks real quick. This is actually skeletons. This will be track five. Hit me some of this, right? Jesus, you got. Now, this one I can work out to. Good.
Starting point is 00:24:13 This is it. But, you know, the cool thing that you guys do is that your ballads are so soulful, too. It's like you guys go one way, and then when you slow it down, it's like the most heartfelt soulful ballads, too. I'm just saying that. I mean, the thing that's been really crazy with all this, we made a record that we really wanted to perform live. And this new record skeletons is all really about that. It's a lot more tempo stuff and stuff that we think will work, even the stuff that. isn't tempo, I think we'll work really well live. And of course, we haven't had a chance
Starting point is 00:24:43 of play at life. So we have no idea if what we tried to do is even going to work. It makes me want to work out. We're doing something right. Yeah. Do you guys ever feel like you have to prove to people that you're literally brothers? Do they ever go, are you guys? We used to get asked that all the time. It used to happen all the time. I think people thought we were boyfriends. Yeah. We actually played a, we played for, who's, it was Mark Wright, who's been like legendary producer, songwriter, label guy. Yeah. And we went into his office to play. And he was looking at it.
Starting point is 00:25:11 She was like, so where did you guys meet? And we're like, what? Because we were talking about because we lived together. We were talking about like, yeah, we're getting the house decorated for Halloween. And he was like, where did you guys meet? Like when my mom gave birth to him? We got a long time, bro. We thought we were a couple.
Starting point is 00:25:26 How do your parents feel about the success? You know, because they're extremely proud. You know, we've talked about this a little bit. And I don't know that a lot of people know this. But both of them tried to come to Nashville when we were a little. and they wrote songs and sang songs, and they used to come to Nashville all the time, trying to get people to cut their songs
Starting point is 00:25:43 and cut their teeth here. And so it was really kind of a dream of there. So they were extremely supportive of the whole time of us coming here, but I think they couldn't be more happy, especially seeing those kind of love out, a dream they had. But just, I think for most people, I think when their kids go out and do anything
Starting point is 00:25:58 and are just having success, I think it's just a pride for them. Our dad's just so, he's very, our parents are very supportive, and our dad's just so excited about everything, but her mom's still like promoting like constant promo and we told her we're playing on the show and she says hi by the way
Starting point is 00:26:12 and she's like you know what you should do you should tell Bobby to get you on the grand old opera. Yeah, this was last night. Mom. I can do that. He can do that. He's not floating her own boat here. We don't necessarily need Bobby for that. That's true. You don't. That's true. You don't at all.
Starting point is 00:26:29 That was literally like that. I could, but you don't need it. That's right. It's not going to brag or anything. That's funny. That is funny Wait, well, what was she like when y'all were first started? I mean, when y'all played before you even came to Nashville, was she like helping?
Starting point is 00:26:44 Would she make posters or promote stuff? She was always promoting and she still does that stuff all the time. I mean, I think any time she's just always asking people if they know who we are. Totally out of context. I've gotten so many people like, you've got to get the manager at Lowe's some tickets to your Riemann show because he was really nice and helped me. And I'm like, how did he helps you find something else? He's got brothers Osmore, but she also, for the longest time, was so mad at us that we didn't go on American Idol.
Starting point is 00:27:10 And even after we had had some success, she still thought that we had done it wrong, that we could have done it faster. I'd be listened to her and gone on American Idol. And who knows, I mean, she could be right. Hey, I can get you on that one too. Yeah, exactly. She was still just like, yeah, you guys are having some success, but still didn't, this could have happened years ago. That's funny. I mean, honestly, I can't prove you wrong.
Starting point is 00:27:31 It was her idea for us to be a duo. and we tried not to do that for the longest time because it was our mom's idea that we did and it works. She was like, okay, I had one. Now I have to have the other duo partner. So she gave up to TJ and she was like, my plan is complete. I'm going to play a little bit of hating somebody.
Starting point is 00:27:50 This is track 11 on the new record when it comes out. John, whenever you're playing the guitar on that, what are we talking about? How many takes do you do when you're making a song? What depends on that one, it was just, one take because Jay Joyce is a jerk and he puts you on the spot and he doesn't let you fix things. But it was that. I remember the first take I did. His quote was, I just want to take that damn guitar out of your hands. I was like, thanks, Jay. I don't even know what that means, but I
Starting point is 00:28:24 hate you for it. And so basically he was saying I was playing too much. But I spent a few takes kind of sussing out the part. But I don't know, that's probably about three takes in. I finally got my part. And he was like, all right, that was great. Don't change anything. And then I stacked it with another part, but I try to keep it minimal. Because if you give me like 20 takes to do something, I will perfect it, but I'll kind of take all the cool out of it. You know, you want it to be a little rough around the edges. How's my next question is, is do you feel like part of you, the character of your music is imperfection at times? Oh yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. A thousand percent. Well, I think the willingness, it's a good question. I think the willingness to be
Starting point is 00:29:01 imperfect is scary, right? So the reason why you fix all the imperfections is because it's, It's vulnerable. I think imperfection is vulnerability. So you have to be willing to do it. Unfortunately, working with Jay Joyce, our producer, he allows you to do that. And he actually forces you to do it, and you have to trust him on that.
Starting point is 00:29:17 And I listen to things, and it makes you a little uneasy, but I think that's what makes you human. None of us are perfect. We're going to play all night right now. Before I hit the song, tell me about this. I'm wide open.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Like, when you ride it, what's the deal? We wrote this with Andrew D. Roberts. He's a really, really, has become a really good friend of ours and collaborator, and he's just an awesome writer. worked a lot on that songland stuff and we've just worked really well with him.
Starting point is 00:29:40 We wrote skeletons with him as well. He's an awesome guitar player and producer. But we kind of wanted, we just we were in there kind of talking and John just sort of took up this baritone guitar and just started playing this lick and I like stop the conversation and it was like, that lick is awesome. And we just started writing over it.
Starting point is 00:29:55 And when the song I'd done, it wasn't like the lyrically wasn't overly complex. And at first we were kind of not sure if it was a song we wanted to record. And then ultimately it was we just kind of came into the conclusion that not every song has to be like the most, the deepest of depths. And we just thought it was time for us to put out something that wasn't so serious and was just easy and to digest and, you know,
Starting point is 00:30:15 for people to kind of tune out with all the, all the heaviness. Oh, yeah. I run to this song. Really? Yeah, and I hate running. I hate running by this song, this song, I got to have the perfect playlist to run. I think it's good running tempo. Yeah, that's, yeah, that's why.
Starting point is 00:30:31 On the Bobby Bones Show now. Brothers Osborne. It says you guys are from, Maryland Watertown? What does that mean a watertown? So it's on the Chesapeake Bay. We grew up not on waterfront property, but across the street from waterfront property. And there's just boats. There's more boats than people. Waterfront property at a discount. Yeah, at a discount. It's like half off waterfront property. And yeah, it's just a lot of fishing, a lot of crabbing, a lot of oystering. We were a 20-second walk
Starting point is 00:31:00 from a pier that we would spend her whole childhood on jumping off of crabbing around. And it's just we're water people. It's a little bit of a different breed. It's like, I think we get a, we used to get a lot of flack. Like, well, how are you from Maryland and you're in the country music? You know, and you down in Georgia, it's just farms. They grew up on the farm. We didn't grow up on the farm.
Starting point is 00:31:19 The water is essentially a water farm, you know, and it was just the same kind of mentality. And that's what it is. You know, I miss the water so, so much. When you were kids, where did you guys play music for fun? Like, there was a room in the house or? You know, a lot of people actually have this like 2-25, tattoo on my arm and a lot of people ask what it is. And it was a band that we had with our dad
Starting point is 00:31:40 called Deuce and a quarter. I played upright bass, John played guitar, dad sang and played acoustic guitar. And we would play a lot of times at the house. But when we would, the first time we went out to play shows was at local bars. There's a place called Happy Harbor that's there, a place called Skippers that was there that we would play often in a few other places. But I mentioned those two because they're actually in our video for our
Starting point is 00:31:59 blast from the past, but our song, rum. And we shot our music video there. And so that's kind of a little bit of a bird I view into the bars we played when we were 15, 16, just first kind of cutting our teeth. And everyone that's in those music videos were also at our shows at the time. So it was kind of a cool homage, I guess, to kind of growing up there. All right.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Here's a pitch for when the record comes out and you guys come back in. We get 2.25 back together. Oh, my God. Her dad will be here. Yeah, no, I know. And listen. And their mom will promote it. You guys think I'm kidding, but how legit would that be?
Starting point is 00:32:35 I would love that. Would your dad do it? He would be a nervous, right? That's okay. We'll have to have like three cores lights before he gets back. We'll provide them for him. Think about that because if you want to do it, I would love that. Dude, that would be sick.
Starting point is 00:32:49 And I love your dad. I've been able to spend a little time with your dad. John's been talking about doing a little record on him because they wrote some songs that were really awesome. And, you know, and I still think you're great to this day, but recording some music on our dad. So that would be fun to do that. Legit, though. Let's do it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:04 The record comes out October 9th. There are three tracks. We'll swing through them real quick from Skeletons. We have All Night. You can get this one right now. There's skeletons. Hot time to come to Jesus. You got skeletons in your closet.
Starting point is 00:33:24 And here is hating somebody. Hating somebody. October 9th. That's when the record comes out. You can pre-order it now. If you want to download it, you can pre-save it. You can pre-save it. I don't even pre-I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:38 I don't even know what I'm going to pre. Everything is so pre. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. You guys have your guitars. You're gracious enough to come in and play a song. Yeah. I think I actually requested stay a little longer.
Starting point is 00:33:49 You did. Do you guys like that one if you only get one to play? I mean, it's just really, honestly, we get asked a lot. You were talking about earlier when people were clapping to an ain't my thought. We like playing the songs that just whatever the crowd likes is really my favorite song to play at that time. So if people request something on. So if you like it. then we love it.
Starting point is 00:34:06 All right. I like it. All right. Here they are. In studio right now, Brothers Osborn. Hey guys, so because of licensing roles, we can't play anything with music
Starting point is 00:34:15 on this IHeartRadio channel or podcast anymore, but you can go to Bobbybones.com to see it. We hate that we had to take it down. It wasn't our decision, but I just wanted to keep you up and we wanted to keep up as much as possible. So go to bobbybones.com
Starting point is 00:34:28 to watch or hear whatever you're missing right now and thank you for listen to the show and sorry about all the legal stuff. Come on. Come on, Lord. Brothers Osmore live. I'd like to explain to our audience what just happened here. So as they were playing that song,
Starting point is 00:34:44 John handed me his guitar and I played the solo for our listeners. I hope you don't think I was showing off. I'd been working on that for a couple months. So I did okay, though. You did great, Bobby. Everything I taught you, you nailed it. Man, that's just phenomenal. Oh, thanks, Bobby. Likewise, brother.
Starting point is 00:35:03 October, a record comes out, and hopefully we'll see you and your dad. I'm looking forward to that. Let's do it. Let's do it. Deuce and a quarter. Deuce and a quarter. That's it.
Starting point is 00:35:12 That old car I had is a deuce and a quarter. Obviously, for those you don't know, we still live right next to each other. Yeah. And that old black car, it's an old... Convertible. That's what we named the band after was that car. Then people would ask us, which one of you is the deuce? Oh.
Starting point is 00:35:29 The pew decide. All right. They got to go. Brothers on. I love y'all. All right. Thanks. Thanks, y'all.

Thomas Wrette shared another new song on his Instagram page.
Starting point is 00:39:52 This one is called Bass Pro Hat. My baby got a bass pro hat turned back in the cab of my tractor. She's up in my laugh, singing songs with... The word's wrong, but it don't matter. No, no. And Morgan number two, that's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Tell me something good. A three-year-old little girl is showing her gratitude for those on the front lines. She is delivering homemade baked goods with a smile. That's right. She's been baking. She was 18 months old. What? It does say with the help of her mom.
Starting point is 00:40:28 But she's made more than 1,000 cookies. And she brings them to the hospital staff, the supermarket worker. police and fire departments, all from a safe distance. And she's from Stillwater, New York. She started Mia's cookie jar. Her Facebook has cookie followers. That's basically her fan. I love it.
Starting point is 00:40:43 She's three. Let's not forget. She's three. And they give her suggestions on where to take her cookies to people that are out working, front lines during COVID. I'm failing at life. And she all, yeah, I know she's three. She also draws a hand-drawn picture with every box she delivers.
Starting point is 00:41:00 I mean, she just has to pour it on. She also doesn't have a job. That too. And she also has really amazing parents, but also that makes me feel like I'm failing as a parent too. That's a good one. That's a great story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:41:13 Bobid Bones Show. Boney up the day. This story comes up from Cincinnati, Ohio. A woman stole a driver education vehicle, one that says, be careful, student driver on the side. She was just driving around. Then she sees a cop in front of her. She's like, I wonder what a cop does all day. She followed the cop for 11 miles
Starting point is 00:41:33 Cop became suspicious, pulled her over Found out the car was stolen So she steals a car and then follows a cop Follows a cop And not any car, a car that obviously is No Yeah Yeah used for something other than just
Starting point is 00:41:47 Getting point A to point B And why is she suddenly curious What a cop does all day? Yeah, couldn't she do that already? All right, what happened? And so she got, the cop pulled her over because she was like, why is this guy, this girl following me? Found out the car was stolen, woman was arrested.
Starting point is 00:42:03 Yeah, that's crazy. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. The Oklahoma City Police Department responded to a Taco Bell on Saturday night right before 9 p.m. because there was a guy going through the drive-thru completely naked. But naked through the drive-thru. Christopher Sale, 61, was in his vehicle in the drive-thru. He paid for his order at the restaurant and then asked employees, hey, can I get an additional taco?
Starting point is 00:42:28 one of the employers was not comfortable with this and another employee gave him the taco and then he asked for more sauce and so then he left and they called the cops would you have called the cops if there's a naked man driving through no I just give him his food and be on his way I probably would have insta-storied it with my phone
Starting point is 00:42:45 maybe I should but I was thinking would I call the cops if I was working at the restaurant I don't think so I guess the thing is it could indicate that he's impaired in some way and if he's driving then I would be worried about that but that would maybe be the only reason why I would call the cops. But wasn't it because his clothes were in the wash or something? Well, that's what he said, yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Oh. Yeah, well, then either wear them wet or wait until they get out of the dryer. Police were able to detain sale. He told him he was hungry and that all of his clothes were in the washer. He also said, and I kind of believe him here, he didn't know it's against a law to drive naked. Because what if your car is like your house? I didn't know that. Did you?
Starting point is 00:43:24 No, that's what I'm saying. I didn't know that. Because if you can't see it, are you naked? And mostly you can't see below the ribs. I wouldn't drive naked in case there was a chance or in case I got into a wreck. Oh gosh, embarrassing. Wouldn't that be a funny bet to take lunchbox and make him drive to Memphis naked and see if he can get there and back without getting stopped? Like only to see if he can make it without getting stopped.
Starting point is 00:43:50 But he should send him through a drive-thru. It's just we've got put in jail before. jail before for doing stuff like this. Now that there's a funny story. The guy's in his car. You went and got in the wrong car. It worked. Here it work.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Yeah. Somebody in our building drives a Toyota SUV that looked a lot like my Mazda that I've been driving, which, and it was, I went to it, pulled the door handle, which the, it has the, it has the, you put your thumb on it and it opens. And so I thought I was just putting my thumb on it and it opened and I went and I sat in. And then there was all this stuff in the front scene. And I was like, what? And then I look at the steering wheel and I see Toyota symbol, not Mazda. And I was like, ah, so I get out. So somebody that works here left their car unlocked. And it was parked in the spot where I had normally been parking. But I had parked across the garage. So then I got out and I did the walk of shame to my car.
Starting point is 00:44:44 Do you ever do the thing where you're in a parking lot and you go to a car that's not yours? It looks like yours. You're trying to get in and you're getting mad because it won't open up. And you're like, what's happening in here? I have. Yeah. No, this is definitely not even the first time I've gotten in the wrong car before. It's cars that are left unlocked, and I'm free to get in, so I just get in. That's how most cars are stolen nowadays, not people busing windows, because the criminal doesn't have to bus windows.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Like, why would you risk hurting yourself whenever you can just walk and pull doors and see one of them be unlocked? And that's what they do. Well, there was a bunch of teenagers in the neighborhood I used to live in. The cops told me, and I saw them do this. They just go car to car down the road, anything's unlocked, and they're not trying to steal the car, but they want to steal money or... phone or chargers or whatever's inside. Do you see Kelsey Ballerini's tweet yesterday?
Starting point is 00:45:31 About which, what? Well, she didn't get nominated for a female vocalist. Oh, no. I only saw her posts about her hole in the bottle video. There are a lot of those. But yes, her not getting mentioned for female vocalist. And people were like, dang, can't believe Kelsey Ballerini didn't get nominated. I feel the same way. But she goes, hey, last time this happened, I wrote Homecoming Queen the next day about the feeling.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Something beautiful will undoubtedly come from the current disappointment. Nonetheless, congratulations to my friends and peers that got nominations, proud to be a part of the country family always. I thought that was a nice response, considering that she had to just be dejected. She's good at that, taking the high road. Yeah. She does that well. And I think a good reminder for all of us, when you go through something, you know,
Starting point is 00:46:14 you can process the feelings and then either create something special and awesome or grow from it. Yeah, I don't really create. Sometimes I don't take the high road I just start firing off We all respond differently But anyway Good for Kelsey I thought that's pretty cool
Starting point is 00:46:32 I was reading a story on wedding shaming And I was reading the story This guy's going to his cousin's wedding The rules require guests to sign a COVID waiver And said masks And social distancing was optional So You have to sign that if you get COVID
Starting point is 00:46:48 You're not going to sue Oh And also know that Hey we're not wearing masks and we're not even going to put any distance between us. So come at your own wrist. The rules also noted that guests need to bring their own beer. I guess, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:03 The list of rules also included no children or plus ones, and folks need to dress accordingly. The weird thing is they're saying no children or plus ones, you would think that would be the other way, because if you can just go but wild, bring whoever you want or not wearing masks. Because of COVID, the rules were stated that masks were optional. but then the couples
Starting point is 00:47:25 guests would have to sign a COVID-19 waiver apparently the note insisted the guests bring their own beer quote bring your own beer and you might die best wedding ever That's terrible Ray what are you doing with yours is everybody getting tested before the wedding
Starting point is 00:47:40 I think that's a great idea Now it seems like people can get them for they can be expedited for what $5 so we could easily What are you getting a $5 test that's expedited Something I read on the news That they're coming maybe by October.
Starting point is 00:47:54 But we just don't want everybody to get tested. We take that time and then nobody gets their test back. You mean you do it at the door and then they can't get a result? Well, I'm saying if we got to now contact the people, I mean, pretty soon and be like, hey, can you go ahead and get a test? No, not pretty soon. The week before. All right. But yeah, we'll do that.
Starting point is 00:48:11 Yeah, like October 19th, maybe. All right. And then people, if they want to wear masks, I think people feel safer if we do that. I just wonder if everybody got any COVID tested because I'm going to be standing up there with a bunch of folks. No, that's important, especially for your. TV stuff. I'd like to know that they don't have COVID. Yeah. Everybody here now is COVID free, which is great. We finally got to that stage of life for us. Yeah, and I'm going to have Granny there too, so. Oh, hopefully. Really? Where's she coming in from? From Michigan. I believe
Starting point is 00:48:35 she's kicking at 90 right now, so. Oh, is your brother coming? Bro can't come. Lumbermill hours are very strict and not a lot of vacation time. Even for a twin brother's wedding? He already used it. It went to Disney World. Did he know you were getting married? He did. Yeah. Does it hurt your feelings that he chose Disney World over coming to his twin brother's wedding? Yeah, a little bit. That wouldn't me. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 00:49:02 But it's tough. His wife right now, she said some stuff about the family, so it's a weird situation. Excuse me? What's she saying? Here we go. You just got to pull the string with Ray. Eventually, we get going. Is it vacation time? Yes. Is it also some situations? She would text people, mean stuff, and it's like, do you want somebody that did that to be at your wedding? She would text who? She grabbed my brother's phone, acted like she was my brother and texted me and stuff to my sister, to me kind of.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Saying what? Acting like she was my brother and said, you guys need to give us our space. She was just saying the weirdest stuff, very, very mean, and acting like my brother was the one saying it all. About the wedding? About the wedding. Said she couldn't come to the wedding, which he never said that, but she did. Just, I mean, it was the weirdest stuff, but it wasn't even from my brother. It was from her all along.
Starting point is 00:49:50 All right. And you're not a fan of her? No. Me and the fiancé says she ain't come to the wedding, but bro can. And now none of them are. Oh. Dang. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Jerry, for sure. Wow. I'm sorry to hear that. I know he laughed because we weren't expecting that situation to come out. But what's your mom think about her? They're not on good terms right now. It's almost a situation where I guess my brother had some of his stuff on my dad's property. my dad said you got to get the stuff off the property
Starting point is 00:50:22 if you're going to sell the house and so there was tension with that. What do you think, Amy? I don't know. This sounds like people just need to have a family meeting. I'll tell you what. Everybody come in the studio. Like Mari?
Starting point is 00:50:37 Yeah. Sit them up here on the stage. I'll hash it all out. All right, Ray, I did get a note from Caitlin going and we have to get our suits done, guys. For Ray's wedding. Oh, yeah, I got the info yesterday. Ray sent it to get fitted.
Starting point is 00:50:48 Yeah, yeah. Honestly, the deadline is October 10th. So we don't, we have forever, guys. Thanks, man. This is Sunny from Chicago. Morning Studio. I've got a, tell me something good for you, and I have a question for Bobby.
Starting point is 00:51:03 So here in Chicago, there is a place called Mission of All Lady of Angels. It's a really cool community in a neighborhood that's not as well off. And the Catholic community of nuns and a brother who served. She hung up. See, here's the thing. Wait, what? I'm so confused. I just happened.
Starting point is 00:51:26 She got halfway through her message, and she was like, oh, great. Then she hung up. Sunny's Chicago, call us back. And something happened. Also, listen, we see you, the listener as our friend. If you call and you mess up, just be like, all right, all right, edit this out. And then just start over again. We'll edit it out.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Probably. I can't promise, but I think we will. That's great. Like if she'd have been like, okay, let me start over. I think we'd have probably just started from the beginning. Yeah, I want to know what's up with that mission. Yeah, we need to know. No.
Starting point is 00:51:56 Yeah, call us about anything. 877-77 Bobby. All right, here's Travis. Hey, good morning, Bobby. I just had a quick question. I'm the same age as Morgan number two. And yesterday you were talking about something you said that you were going to Seinfeld this thing after Eddie asked you if you were going to buy a kayak. I don't, I guess, could you explain that to the millennials?
Starting point is 00:52:20 Thank you. Yeah, to Seinfeld it means to go out on top. And I may have invented this term in this context, but Seinfeld retired at number one. That show ended when it was at the peak of its popularity, which is rare. Most shows get canceled or end as they start to go down. And Jerry Seinfeld was like, you know what, I'm done. And we're going to go out on top. And so when I had done my kayaking and I didn't die and did pretty well, I was like, I'm done.
Starting point is 00:52:45 I'm Seinfeldin this baby. I'm going out as a world's greatest kayaker. So that's what Seinfelding it means. Did that make sense to you? Yes, because I've heard you use it before. but I could totally understand where people don't get it. I guess if you're not at least 33 or 34, maybe you don't know that. But they may, yeah, they may watch Seimeldon know what that is,
Starting point is 00:53:05 but not know that Jerry wanted to go out on top. Or that the show ended like it did, and it was a humongous deal. People were watching it on the streets and Times Square on the big screens. It was such a big deal. Let's do one more. This is Trent in North Carolina. Just like here off you, where did you get the green big bird? shirt from. I love it and I love to have one.
Starting point is 00:53:28 The green big bird shirt. I had a big bird shirt on. It was kind of light. But I get some of my stuff from an app called StockX where I get a bunch of shoes from there. I love shoes and sometimes I'll get sweatshirts from there. So you have to download it and it's a bidding app. There's not a commercial. You bid on stuff and or you can just click buy it now, kind of like eBay. But I get a lot of that stuff from StockX, mostly shoes. But I think that's where I got my Big Bird and Sesame Street stuff. All right. That's what's up. Amy, what's coming up? in the pile. Well, a TV show from the 90s is reuniting for an unscripted special. Is it good or is it one of the dumb shows that we don't care about from the 90s?
Starting point is 00:54:03 Oh, no, I think you're 100% going to be pumped about it. And then a company had to release a statement to warn parents about a challenge that has gone viral. So I want to make sure that parents know about it. Okay. Love that. Come back with that next. Starting point is 00:57:46 I just called my label and told them I want to make a double album. Double checking, y'all are good with that. So obviously fans are, and he's going to be doing that, and it should come out sometime later this year. I don't like it. Honestly, I love, no, it's too much at once.
Starting point is 00:58:00 So many good songs get skipped over because nobody has the time to sit and listen to 30 songs. I wish you'd put out about three songs every two to three weeks. And that will keep the music coming for a solid six months. Because I really like Morgan Wallen. I'm very anti-this. You should tell him. He doesn't care.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Is that how it works too? You call the label up and you say, I want to double up. It isn't. They must have had the conversation ahead of time. And also, you know, a double album, what does that even mean now?
Starting point is 00:58:27 Because most people aren't buying CDs anymore. Right. Mostly just a bunch of tracks. But love Morgan Wall. I want of my favorites now. But I would rather have a few songs every few weeks so I can invest in each song.
Starting point is 00:58:38 Because you guys know, Amy, when there's a new album that comes out, even from an artist you like, you don't listen to every song enough. True. I did do that with Taylor Swift's, the folklore that came out. And that's like the first time I had done that in a long time.
Starting point is 00:58:49 Done what? Like, listen to a whole album when it came out. But a whole album three or four times? Oh, no, I listened to it once. And then I was like, I only like one of these songs. But if you listen to it again, I bet you would have found more. But it's hard to do that. Anyway, good.
Starting point is 00:59:03 Morgan Wallet fans will love it. I'm a Morgan Wallet fan, but I don't love it. I'm right. What else? So the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is reuniting on HBO Max to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary. I'm more excited about this than friends. Because I know where all the people from friends are.
Starting point is 00:59:21 Yeah, I have no idea of where DJ Jazzy Jeff is. Well, I do. I see them sometimes DJing stuff. It's still playing shows. Like on the internet. But I mean, like Jeffrey. Oh, yeah. I mean, are they?
Starting point is 00:59:31 Because Phillips's not alive. Yeah. Philip Banks. But I want to see everybody else in where they are now and how old or young or their stories. I don't know. More than friends. Well, most everybody's set to be a part of the special. And they're taping at September 10th.
Starting point is 00:59:45 and then it'll debut on HBO Max around Thanksgiving. And that's the home of Fresh Prince of Bel Air streaming. Sort of like friends. You can't stream it anywhere else except for if you have HBO Vax. And I'm like, great. And good for Will Smith for going, yeah, I'll do it. Doesn't take himself so seriously. Yeah, he's the big one.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Because he's a massive international movie star. He'd have to do that. He doesn't need the money. But that's pretty cool. What else? Well, Johnson and Johnson is begging parents to beware of a new Benadryl TikTok challenge. I saw this. That's pretty scary.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Now, a couple of months ago, three teens were hospitalized in Texas after they took part of the challenge. And then most recently... The challenge, by the way, is taking a whole bunch of them and hallucinating. Yeah. Oh. It says, take enough of it so that you start to hallucinate. And a 15-year-old girl just passed away because of it. And she was known as a really happy, faith-driven girl, not one to experiment with drugs.
Starting point is 01:00:39 But she thought, oh, it's vinajol. You can buy it over the counter. We've got it in our medicine cabinet. I'll just take part in the challenge. Why not? So Johnson & Johnson's working with TikTok and other partners to make sure that they can stop the trend. But make sure you're checking on your kids and that they're not doing this. Do you worry about your daughter doing, not this challenge, but any of these dumb challenges that can get her hurt or sick?
Starting point is 01:01:01 Yes. Because, I mean, she might see that and think, oh, I've seen Benadryl in the pantry. I'll go grab some. And some of them do look fun. I'll be honest. Right. That's the scary part. I know.
Starting point is 01:01:10 And then they do it. And they're like, it was amazing. You know? Yeah, that's a stinky story. All right. All right, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:01:20 It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this trash man goes to this house every week to pick up the trash, and the dog always barks from the window where the dog hangs out inside. But instead, the dog was outside barking like, hey, like fiercely, like something's wrong. To where the trash room is like, something. Something's not right.
Starting point is 01:01:43 So went over with the dog, and sure enough, the old lady that lived there had fallen over. Wow. Mm-hmm. And good for this trash man to go. Yeah, Kirk White is his name, shout out. Crazy. I just would hear a dog barking and go, I don't have any food in my pocket. And the dog's name is Sandy.
Starting point is 01:02:00 That is crazy. Saved her, huh? Yeah, for sure. Dang. Like, what would my dog do? Probably if I fell on the porch, my dog would run away. My dog would go into the food closet cupboard. He'd know he's clear because he can bang his head up.
Starting point is 01:02:12 enough times to open it. And he's like, oh, he's down? Well, I got a little time on my hands here. I'm going to go eat. That's a good story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Amy, do you think attractive couples have attractive kids usually?
Starting point is 01:02:26 Yes. Have you seen Jason Aldeen and Brittany Aldean's babies? Okay. Listen, I love Jason. He's not a supermodel there. Well, I don't, they have the most beautiful. They're good looking, though, and they have the most beautiful children in the world. She's very pretty.
Starting point is 01:02:41 Yeah. But I thought that that would be a good example. I thought that would be a good example. Listen, I'm no beauty queen. I'm like Al Dean. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, their babies, very pretty. Yes. Listen, I would say that if when Caitlin and I have a kid,
Starting point is 01:02:56 that if it's pretty, it's because of her, not because of me. Fair enough. And I would say Al Dean's kid, not because of him. Hopefully it has like his singing ability, like grit, attitude. But you kind of hope we talk. we're like, you know, don't you wonder what side of the genetics? Because, you know, if, let's just say we have a kid, if it has her athleticism and my nerdiness,
Starting point is 01:03:23 the kid's going to have it all. However, if it has my athleticism, it's not going to be very good. Although she's really smart. So, yeah, yeah, yeah. Scientists say the children who have beautiful parents, like physically, physically attractive parents have a 70% likelihood of being attractive too.
Starting point is 01:03:40 That's where it kind of falls in the math. Cindy Crawford's kid? She looks just like stunning. Yeah, she looks like, her name is, because her last name's not Crawford. And she's also one of those kids that's always on E now, like the E Instagram feed. And another Gwyneth's daughter, Apple, beautiful.
Starting point is 01:04:00 I mean, and Chris Martin, what do you think of him? Great looking guy. Yeah. Well, pretty good. Hold on, hold on. Good looking guy for a nerdy guy. Like he's got the, he's a good looking nerdy guy. Speaking of Al Dean, while I'm thinking about it, he, I always hate to see him get robbed at the award nominations.
Starting point is 01:04:18 Oh, I thought he got robbed. Like, at gunpoint? I don't know. I didn't know that's where you were going with that. There are always a couple folks. And usually Al Dean and Blake are the two that the people love, but for some reason the voters just won't vote for them. And Aline always wins the ACM, big, and sometimes the entertainer of the year. but CMAs, which was yesterday, he never gets nominated, which is weird.
Starting point is 01:04:40 I wasn't out for entertainer of the year, wasn't up for male vocalist of the year. So I kind of hate that for him. All right. You want to go over and do the joke? Yeah. All right, here we go. The morning corny. What do you call a man with no arms and no legs on stage?
Starting point is 01:04:58 What do you call a man with no arms and no legs on stage? Mike. Mike on stage. Microphone. No arms. Is that funny? Yeah, I thought it was funny. Well, what do you, this, like this one, we've done this one before.
Starting point is 01:05:12 What do you call a man with no arms and no legs at the front of your door? Oh, what? Matt. And then Bob floating in the water. A bobber. It's the wall art. Mike. Oh, I've never heard of art.
Starting point is 01:05:27 These are all really good bones. Maybe this one just doesn't tickle me in the right spot. Maybe I'm so irritated out of Dede didn't get nominated that I'm still. All right. Close that up. I mean, oh. That was the morning corny. This is Annalise from Santa Cruz, California.
Starting point is 01:05:46 I just wanted to ask if you could recommend a good beginner's guitar for my nephew, who's about to turn 15, and he wants an acoustic guitar for his birthday. And I have no idea what brand to get, what a recommendation would be. His name is Emmett. You guys are awesome. Bye. I can tell you my story is that I went to a pawn shop and paid 50 bucks. and got one. And I think guitar is tough. And so you can start and then be like,
Starting point is 01:06:13 that's not for me. And you don't want to spend a bunch of money on a guitar for that reason. I would suggest going to a pawn shop, finding a guitar and see if they stick with it for a few months. And if they do, then you start to find one that's a little bit better. It's an investment, especially when people just get bored with it or their fingers hurt, right, Eddie? Oh, yeah. And I think the $200 range is good because anything under $200 could be really cheap and it's not good, and if it doesn't sound good, they're not interested in anymore. I don't know. I would disagree a bit. I say go cheap and see if they want to just learn. Yeah, I bought two cheap ones, and then they're just like, eh, I sound terrible on this.
Starting point is 01:06:48 And then they don't play the one. No, they sound terrible because they weren't practicing enough. You're probably right. Here is Kristen from California. Would your husband want to go to the murder house with lunchbox? No. Is he scared of ghosts? No, but I can't lend him for that.
Starting point is 01:07:18 We need him. Well, they were also trying to send Eddie with lunchbox. launch and I was like, we can't lend to any of them. Right. Like we have things going on. I like that we're valuable. Yeah. It's pretty cool. Y'all are. I mean, so we can't lend anybody to me? I can't go by myself, guys. I mean, everybody's volunteering me and no one wants to step up to the plate and go with me. We'll find somebody to go with you. Here is lunchbox calling a party store. What'd you do there? I was saying that my five-year-old son's having a birthday party and I see that they have silly string, but that seems very immature and I want my kid to have a mature birthday party, so I want serious
Starting point is 01:07:50 string. Okay, here you go. I'm having a birthday party for my 5-year-old son and I'm trying to, I know you guys carry silly string, but we're trying to have a mature birthday party, so I was hoping if you guys have any serious string. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:08:07 Well, you know, silly string kind of is like an immature party and I want my five-year-old to have a classy birthday party. Not a silly, this is joke, so I'm looking for some serious string. Are you being serious? Yeah, that's the whole point. I want serious string.
Starting point is 01:08:22 Oh, no, we don't. Yeah, I'm sorry. Are you being silly right now? Are you being serious? No. It was like 15. Some grown, man. That's pretty funny, though.
Starting point is 01:08:36 Pretty funny. So Walmart is launching their version of Amazon Prime. Mike D brought me the story this morning. What's happening with Walmart? Yeah, it's called Walmart Plus. So it's essentially like Amazon where you can get stuff same day, but it's a little bit cheaper. And so is it a subscription model?
Starting point is 01:08:53 Yeah. How much is it a year? It's $12.95 a month. I think it's $1.19 a year. What, Amy? I'm trying to think of what I pay for Amazon Prime, but it's probably... A little bit more than that.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Yeah, I think it's like maybe $0.5 more. But you also get discounted gas. At Walmart. Okay. Do they have movies, though? Because the big part about Amazon that I start to be okay with is Amazon video. Is that you get that whole collection.
Starting point is 01:09:20 Do they have anything like that? Just the items, yeah. Okay. Well, they're trying. Hey, they're trying. You know, I use that Instacart sometimes. Do you ever use that app? Yeah. Or you get on, you order,
Starting point is 01:09:28 sometimes I go to Kroger and order my groceries from Kroger. And then the person starts texting me. They never picked the things that I say. They're like, I need to make a change on. Everything that they, I request, they change. I think they just get lazy. And then I get stuff back, and sometimes the stuff's not even in there,
Starting point is 01:09:41 and I get charged for it. Oh. I think they're eating my Quest bars. I think they drove away eating my Quest bars. I think sometimes they just can't, find specifically what we want. Like my friend the other day ordered peanut butter something and they ended up just giving her peanut butter ice cream, like hoping, oh, this should work.
Starting point is 01:10:00 She's like, very different than what I ordered. But okay, that looks good. I only just started using Instacart because I was like, I can't always go get my own groceries. But then it's just so easy to hit an app if you have in your area. Do you use it? Yeah. I've used it. Thank you guys for hanging out.
Starting point is 01:10:16 There is an update on the driver's license beauty pageant that we had. remember we all put our pictures up at bobby bones.com and Ray Mundo was in dead last place. He ended up finishing second. Big Amy or Morgan wins with 33% then Ray Mundo, me, the Amy, Me, lunchbox, and Eddie last place. Oh, I got last.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Yeah. Oh, Ray, you jumped. Wow. Crazy. Maybe people felt bad for me because honestly, the DMV did me raw on that one. They did you raw or wrong? All of them.
Starting point is 01:10:48 What is the saying? Wrong. Not raw. What does they do to you at the DMV? You can go see them one more time at bobbybones.com if you want to see our pictures from our driver's licenses. I was going to mention Amy's son, who I know is Stevenson. And I know him as that as well.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Okay, but... And we may call him that, but on the radio, he would like to just be referred to as my son. Oh. Son. Your son. I have no idea. We were in the car and he said, hey, mom, I just wanted you to know that I don't want you to say my name on the radio. more. You can talk about me, but I want you to refer to me as son. And I said, okay, well,
Starting point is 01:11:27 I'll have to update Bobby so that he knows not to say it. Because, yeah, we want to respect you for sure. And if you're fine with me still talking about you, I will, but I'll call you what you want me to call you. And then Stasheera's next to him in the back seat. And she's like, mom, just so you know, you can say my name all you want. Did they have friends at school that know that you're on the radio? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Is that maybe why he doesn't like that? like it? He said he didn't really have a reason because I asked him if something happened or whatever, something went wrong. And he said no. But I know that there are some people that listen. So, our teachers, too, but I don't think that's the thing. Who knows what it is? Does he play his PlayStation
Starting point is 01:12:09 yet? He hasn't yet because our white, we're the TV room we're putting in. Actually, we're getting the Wi-Fi in there today. Like right, right now, I think they're there. So that'll be exciting because that game room where we want to keep it didn't have internet. So he doesn't want to be known as Stevenson. He just wants to be known as the chicks. The chicks. Oh, shoot. That's what everybody wants to be known as now. They're like, you know what I'm saying? We're now
Starting point is 01:12:31 the chicks. All right. Yeah, so, son. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University. An affordable, private, non-profit Christian University based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. They say higher education

Yeah, sea monkeys are the little things that the swim are... They're like little shrimps or something. Yeah, it is forever ago. It's before us. Okay. Oh, well then... Eddie, you can take this one since you know what it is.
Starting point is 01:16:56 I'm going to go with the monkeys. I think sea monkeys were probably 70s. Sea monkeys were 1957. The monkeys were 1965. Oh, okay. Amy, the Empire State Building or Clint Eastwood. Oh gosh. Which one was the first?
Starting point is 01:17:15 The Empire State Building or actor-director, Clint Eastwood. I mean, collie, I should have paid attention on my tour of the Empire State Building. I guess I'm going to go with the birth of Clint Eastwood. Clint Eastwood was born in 1930. The Empire State Building was built in 1931. Woo! You got it? Yeah, nice show.
Starting point is 01:17:38 Client. Shopping carts or plastic bags, which was invented first. The shopping cart or the plastic bag. Shopping carts. Shopping carts in 1937, plastic bag, 1960. Good. All right, two old movies, which was first. Jaws or Alien?
Starting point is 01:17:59 Mm. Jaws is the 80s, I think. Alien, I don't even know. Alien. By the way, Jaws was not the 80s. What was it? The 90s? 1975.
Starting point is 01:18:10 No. What? The 90s. Okay. I don't know that I've ever seen Jaws. Oh, it's so good. Well, it's not. I take that back.
Starting point is 01:18:19 It's cheesy, but it's good. I mean, it's 1975. I'm good. Like, the shark doesn't even look real, but it's good. I'm sure back then it was amazing. Jaws, 1975. Alien. Alien, 1979.
Starting point is 01:18:33 So Jaws was before. All right. Well. My bad. Anybody see Alien? No. No, what even is that? Sigourney Weaver.
Starting point is 01:18:41 Yeah, that's right. I never saw it. I just have seen people talk about it. Mickey Mouse, which was first, Mickey Mouse or chocolate chip cookies. Think about that for a second. Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse, 1928.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Chocolate chip cookies, 1938. What up? Yeah. I know my tall house. I got a couple more here. Which was first? Star Wars or Starbucks? Star Wars. Star Wars, 1977.
Starting point is 01:19:15 Oh, boy. Starbucks, 1971. What? Oh, Godder! I listened to how I built this with the Starbucks dude. Are you sure? Mike, will you fact check me? Was it called Starbucks?
Starting point is 01:19:30 Hmm. Okay, keep going. Starbucks founded March 31st, 1971, in Seattle, Washington. And it was called. It doesn't matter. Starbucks. Okay.
Starting point is 01:19:39 I'm just kidding. Call me. No, you challenge me three times. All right, here we go. The NFL or the NBA? NFL. NFL 1920, NBA, 1949. Yes.
Starting point is 01:19:50 Which, by the way, game seven will be dialed in, Thunder Rockets. Yeah, you're all in now. I mean, we've watched them all. We've watched, I mean, Caitlin is such a Thunder fan. And so I am now, too. But, yeah, game seven. When is it? Today, tonight.
Starting point is 01:20:08 Ugg boots or the thong. Which came out first. Ugg boots or the thong. The thong? The thong came out. It was invented in 1974. You still forget about your answer? I hope so, because I mean ugs were popular in the 90s,
Starting point is 01:20:28 but I don't know, maybe elsewhere they were popular before America. Ugg boots were invented in 19... 30. Oh. It says 1930s. When was the thong invented again? 1974. You know the person invented that?
Starting point is 01:20:44 I went to their friend like, hey, guys, that's a great idea. What you do is you put this on and this slides right into your butt. Yeah. Like, what is it? No, they were like, hey, are you annoyed with your underwear showing through when you're wearing pants? Yeah. Is that why you're wearing? So women were probably cutting their own and then someone decided to make them.
Starting point is 01:21:02 I bet. Bones, it's probably a better description than yours, I think. What did you ask, Eddie? Is that why? Is that why? Because they don't show? I didn't know that. Yeah, because if you're not wearing a thong, then there's an underwear line. Hmm.
Starting point is 01:21:14 All right. Finally, Mm-hmm. Twinkies or Batman, which came first. Twinkies or Batman? Twinkies. Eddie, you'll take a guess of this? I'm going to go Twinkies.
Starting point is 01:21:30 I feel like Batman was 60s. Well, Batman was 1939. Okay, forget it wrong, then. I'm going to let you guys. Twinkies was like the 20s or something. Amy's like the person on Jeopardy that could get it right, but insists on giving way too much and then misses it with the too much but still gets it right. And you just feel weird because you're like, well, they didn't really know it.
Starting point is 01:21:48 They just got lucky. I didn't get lucky. I feel it. I know that Twinkies came before Batman. Well, right, but then you went extra and were like the 20s. The Twinkie is one of the 30s, but they are before Batman. Okay. Well, he thought Batman was the 60s.
Starting point is 01:22:00 So why isn't he getting chained? Didn't know that. Sorry. No, he just. He got it wrong. and then proved why he got it wrong. I got it right. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:07 All right. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Yeah, home is something good. Brittany Woodrum is a climber from Colorado. She's trying to climb Colorado's 58. By the end of the year, it's 58 mountains that are 14,000 feet in the air, and she's raising money for charity.
Starting point is 01:22:29 She's done 39 so far, raising $55,000 for Shelter Box. And Shelter Box is helping me. people in developing countries, and it provides everything from tent, tarps, water jugs, blankets, lighting, and cooking equipment. And it all comes in one little turquoise box, and Brittany carries that on her back. And that's what she camps with when she's on these little hikes. Oh, she uses it too. She uses it, and then she raises money for them, and she has 19 to go for the end of the year.
Starting point is 01:22:55 You know, I've never been a big hiker or climber. And we had mountains in Arkansas, but they weren't mountains like Colorado or I was in Idaho in Montana the last couple weeks. And being near those mountains, it made me wish I had an extra day to go hike up a mountain. Yeah. And I never feel that way.
Starting point is 01:23:13 But when I was in Montana, I was like, dang, I wish Caitlin was here. We could go try to hike up one of these mountains. And then I also understood the need for one of those camel packs that I make fun of people for wearing. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:22 Because I'm always like, who needs a camel pack? Who needs a drink out of a straw on your bag? But if you're on a hike that long, that'd probably be a good thing. My daughter was a camel back in her room. Is it a camel back? What's it? Camel pack?
Starting point is 01:23:33 I don't know what it's called. Camel back. Camel back. Camel back is like a backpack and it's a camel back. But she likes it because she doesn't have a leave. Well, I have a friend that jogs with one. That's a lot. Are they jogging far though? That's the thing. Not really. Power wugging.
Starting point is 01:23:47 And he's a pretty in shape guy. And he goes and runs with it and I've driven up on him running before. And he's got his camel pack on. And I'm like, what do you run? He goes, I'm going to do like five miles a day. I'm like, you can't hold on five miles to get a drink of water. Oh, it's important. to stay hydrated. I had friends that would take that to music festivals and fill it up with like vodka.
Starting point is 01:24:05 And people would be like, oh, it's just water. Like, all right, party time. That's what it's all about right there. That was tell me something good. People's biggest pet peeves with people they live with. Okay, here are the top five. And then I actually ask Caitlin what her pet peeves are about me before I left this morning. Number five, having people over to the house without a heads up.
Starting point is 01:24:27 Oh, that would be it. It's annoying. Yeah? Because, I mean, I like to get things. order. I have to come to your house today. Why? It's your husband's birthday. I gotta bring him his gift. Oh, that's so nice of you. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:24:39 I, like, for you to, I didn't think you'd, I don't know. That's nice. What did you get him? I'm not saying it on the radio. He's my biggest fan. I don't want him to hear it. Okay. There's nothing crazy. But yeah, yeah, why would you not? Your husband and I are friends? I know, but that's super nice. Okay. All right. Number four, eating someone else's food. Yeah, that's frustrating. I feel like I make a lot sometimes, and then my husband will just eat it.
Starting point is 01:25:08 And I'm like, well, that was supposed to be for the whole family tomorrow. Number three, lounging? Just hanging, just like, bleh? I feel like Eddie's a lounger at his house. You think I just lounge all day? Yeah, I do. I do. Not all the day, but.
Starting point is 01:25:22 For a lot of the day, I do. Lounging is cool if it's lounge time, but if it's not, then it's annoying. Number two is wasting electricity. that's a pet peeve that people do. Yeah. Then number one is not stacking your dishes. And I wonder if that's stacking or that's doing the dishes. Like the number one thing is your partner
Starting point is 01:25:38 or the person you live with not doing the dishes. Right. Bothersome to you? Yeah. What's your pet peeve with your husband? Coffee grinds everywhere. Right now it's a problem. At our new house, we have this one little part of the countertop
Starting point is 01:25:50 that's dedicated to the coffee. And now he thinks like that can just be his space where it doesn't matter. I want to know every day where how he thinks those coffee grounds that are all over the counter and the coffee's like stains, how they go away every day. That's what I want to know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:10 Who do you think he just magically disappears? No, every day. I clean it up. What do you think his would be with you? Nothing. Okay. And I'm going to tell you, probably not true. No, it's not true.
Starting point is 01:26:21 I know that I'm annoying for sure. So we would need to ask him, though. And I don't have any with any things with Caitlin. She's perfect. as far as living with makes the bed we have two different bathrooms she uses the bathroom in the guestroom so there's no bathroom sharing oh that helps yeah
Starting point is 01:26:38 you have no issue whatsoever like nothing like sometimes she wants to talk and you don't really like well she wants to talk all the time right and I'm not a talk yeah I'm just trying to think of something because there has to be something nothing comes to mind and I asked her and I get this is very early when I woke her up and asked her this so I was like hey what are your pet peeves with me coming to you live from the bedroom
Starting point is 01:26:59 Now, the question is, what's the biggest pet peeve with the people you live with? Caitlin, I'm coming to you. You can even do top three or top 100, whatever it is you have. What are the biggest pet peeves about me? I don't know that they're pet peeves, but things you do that I just don't understand. That's okay. Go ahead. Okay.
Starting point is 01:27:22 If something is sealed, chips, rice cakes, whatever it is, if it's sealed with one of those little plastic toppers or even the wire ones that you spin and twist, you don't use them again. Like you open it and then you throw it away, the twisty thing or it just goes. But then I wrap it and then lean it on the wrap. So it doesn't work. Everything is stale all the time. All right. Anything else?
Starting point is 01:27:46 Yeah. You, um, sometimes you take your plates or your bowls to the dishwasher. I can't even talk. Sink. It's early. It's before the show. Go ahead. I take it to the sink.
Starting point is 01:27:58 You take it to the sink and you don't rent some. I fill it with water. No. In fact, last night you filled it with water and I was so taken aback that I didn't even bring it up because I was like, don't make a big deal about this. Don't make a big deal about it because then he might not do it again if I make a big deal about it. Okay. And anything else? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:17 You don't always put the toilet seat down. That's true. And I feel bad about that because sometimes you'll come out and be like, I just fell in. And what do I always say? I'm getting better. That brings me to another thing that you do. that kind of drives me insane. You bring up things that you do that are normal to try to get me to give you some sort of
Starting point is 01:28:37 props. You're like, hey, I fed Stanley this morning. And I'm like, I fed him every day, three times a day for the past however long. That's the end of this segment. All right. Sorry she had nothing. All right, back to you, which is me in the studio. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:28:52 You're like my son. What? I made my bed today. Well, you're supposed to be. to. I brushed my teeth today. No, you're not getting rewarded for something you are supposed to do every day. It's not that Chris Rock joke from way back
Starting point is 01:29:06 in the day. You're supposed to pay your child's award. People are always bragging about, I pay my child's worth. You're supposed to pay your child's award. You can go to Facebook and put your biggest pet peeve with your husband or wife, whoever you live with. Search Bobby Bone Show on Facebook. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported

Starting point is 01:32:46 That's get sunday.com. Yesterday the CMA Award nominees were announced. The big category is entertainer of the year, which I know Garth pulled himself out, but I think he had won again. I hate to not see him in this top five here. But Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban. They're up for the big one, entertainer of the year. I thought I'd play some clips from Song of the Year to see which one that you think should win.
Starting point is 01:33:11 Now, this is a songwriter award. So the first one up is Bluebird, sung by Miranda Lambert. How many stars do you give that one? Out of five. Five. Okay. It's, I love it. I love it.
Starting point is 01:33:35 I love it. I give it three and a half. Not really my jam. I like it okay. Okay. All right. The bones from Marin Morris. See how many stars you give it.
Starting point is 01:33:45 When the bones are good. The rest don't matter. Yeah, the pain can peel. How many stars do you give that one? Five. Wow. Amy's just going to love every song. This is the jam.
Starting point is 01:33:54 I give this one four stars. Four stars out of five. I like this one. Okay. What else we got? We have, even though I'm leaving from Luke Combs. Just because I'm leaving. It don't mean it.
Starting point is 01:34:05 I won't. Be right by your side When you need me You can sing in the five Of the night Hold your eyes And say a prayer She's all five
Starting point is 01:34:19 Maybe not I give that one Three and a half As well Oh Turn it up Even though I'm leaving I ain't going nowhere
Starting point is 01:34:31 Five and a half Amy I mean listen to the words If that song doesn't make you feel something I get it You know what it is? I've cried to that. But I guess here's why I don't, because it's a great song and Lou wrote it,
Starting point is 01:34:40 but I feel like he's not singing about himself. He doesn't have any kids. And so when I hear him sing... Couldn't it be how his dad's treated him? I don't know, but I'm just telling you how I feel when I hear it. I hear Luke Compton just singing a song you wrote. Maybe one of a songwriter's experiences. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:34:53 Yeah, but that's how I... Does that make sense, Eddie, how I hear that song? Yeah, totally. Luke comes to singing about him and his kid. If he was, maybe I'd feel different. Yeah. Carly Pearson, Lee Bryce. I hope you're happy now.
Starting point is 01:35:05 He's one of the writers on this song, too, by the way. How many stars, Amy? 3.5? Yeah, I give it 3. I'm surprised this one was up for this award. And then finally, more hearts than mine, Ingrid Andres. How many stars? Five.
Starting point is 01:35:31 I give it 5 as well. That's a good one. This is one of those songs where you're like, how did they even think about writing them from this angle? Yeah, it's genius. It's been taken aback by the concept of it. Because that whole song is about, Hey, listen, we're going to be in a relationship.
Starting point is 01:35:45 And if we end up breaking up and you break up with me, I'm going to be okay. But you're going to be hurt in my family, too, who's growing a bond with you. Yeah, it's so good. Pretty amazing. Yes. Yeah. So, will that one win? Probably not.
Starting point is 01:35:58 Miranda's pretty much the darling with the voters if it's equal. But I love more hearts than mine. I'm going to vote for that one. Who you voting for? You get to vote. Got a lot of five. Any of the ones that I said five. I might have to iny-me-mini-moet because they're so great to me.
Starting point is 01:36:17 All of those songs are so great. That's a hard one. You don't want to pick? Right now? Okay. Oh, she did a finger point. What was the second one you played? The bones?
Starting point is 01:36:28 There you go. I closed my eyes and ran my finger across it. Don't take this the wrong way. They're all great songs, so they wouldn't be in this category. Obviously. It's like comparing elite. Professional athletes. And then it's just our job to kind of break it down.
Starting point is 01:36:46 Yeah. We don't want to. You know, I do. I do want to, I do want to. I don't ever hurt anybody's feelings. No, I mean, people say I suck all the time. So, you know, I'm okay with that. And none of this stuff sucks.
Starting point is 01:36:57 So it's great. It's like all, it's like the best of the best. Yeah. Let's see. New artist. You have Jimmy Allen, Ingrid, Andrews, Annette, Carly Pearson, Morgan Wallen. Let's say who we think's going to win
Starting point is 01:37:09 because I think it'll be a runaway. One, two, three, Morgan Waller. I'm not even going to be close, right? It shouldn't be close. Again, all great. But there's the Morgan Wallen, and then there's a separator, and then there's kind of everybody else.
Starting point is 01:37:26 Morgan Wallen's up there with almost Luke Holmes. I mean, it's pretty crazy. He kind of snuck up on me a little bit at first. Like literally at night? You felt his mullet? No, my like for all of his stuff. Like he just was there. I think he did something maybe with Florida Georgia Line.
Starting point is 01:37:46 Can't remember. Maybe. And I was like, okay, yeah, okay, this Morgan Wallen guy. And then it was just like, hit. Well, yes. The thing with Morgan Wallen was he comes out with like a party song with the Florida Georgia Line guy. So you're like, oh, he's just going to be a party guy like Florida Georgia Line.
Starting point is 01:37:59 And so you're like, I wonder if that's just, but then his stuff is so much deeper and there's so much texture in a bunch of his stuff. And he also can sing the crap out of stuff. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. The last five winners for Best New Artist 2015 Chris Stapleton
Starting point is 01:38:14 2016 Mirren Morris 2017 John Party 2018 Luke Combs and 2019 Ashley McBride So you win this You can punch your ticket baby That's pretty cool That's a good one to win
Starting point is 01:38:30 I'll read you one more category A vocal duo of the year This is Come on Well It's just between two duos, right? So is there between Dan and Chey and Maddie and Tay?
Starting point is 01:38:46 Brothers Osborne. Oh, yeah, duh. I just put them in the brothers category. There's a category for siblings? Best siblings group? And the winner for best siblings. I don't know why they did. They win it every year.
Starting point is 01:39:00 They don't know if it come to my head. Damn, that's a hard one. Let me roll you through the categories here. Brooks and Dunn. They're up for duo. Love them, but again, they put up the reboot album, so it wasn't a whole bunch of new. stuff. I say you can't give them that award. And they've also
Starting point is 01:39:15 They've won so much. They've won entertainer of the year before. Brothers Osborne. Very much a critic's love. And a critic's favorite. And a love of us too. They were in earlier. Like, love them as people. Love them. If I didn't love them as people, I'd love them as an artist. I just happen to it's the whole package with those guys.
Starting point is 01:39:36 Dan and Shay. Just so good. We love them as people and we love them as... I know. Can there be a tie? Florida, Georgia Line and Maddie and Taye. And Maddie and Tate had a number one this year too. That song just went number one.
Starting point is 01:39:55 So what do you think? I feel like Florida Georgia Lines won it before, right? I don't know, but Brothers Osborne, when I presented the war two years ago, maybe a year ago, Brothers Osborne won. That's right. And I think everyone was expecting Dan and Shea to win. And I think last year, Dan and Shea.
Starting point is 01:40:13 Jay won. So if you're going off just like streams and hits, it's Dan and Shea. And then just, but if you're going, well, Brothers Osborne won at 16, 17, and 18. The Dan and Shea won at 19. Oh my gosh. FGL won it for three years. Sugar Land. Brooks and Dunn wanted about every year for a while.
Starting point is 01:40:34 Yeah. I'm going to go. Dan and Jay. I'm going to go Dan and Shay too. I know brothers were just in here and they'd probably agree. There's a reason I to do this segment before they were in here. Why do we do it with them? We could have, and they probably would have.
Starting point is 01:40:47 It said Dan and Shea, too. All right, well, we're done talking about CMAs, and that's an interesting thing. And it's award season doubly right now because the ACMs are coming up, and that's confusing to, if you're not in the business, what's the difference? There's not a lot of difference.
Starting point is 01:41:03 You've got two award shows happening in two months. We're lucky. We're lucky we have a lot of great artists here. I saw Ozzy Osbourne, has let his hair go gray. Oh, really? Looks pretty cool. Yeah. With me, I don't, like, I get a little gray on my sideburns, and I get a little, like, some in my chin a little bit.
Starting point is 01:41:21 But I'm not really scared of gray. I always felt like once I finally got the person, because I was like, I feel like I'm a peacock. I get to show my feathers until someone decides they want to be with peacock, and then I'm good. And so I don't even worry about the gray stuff anymore. Sometimes on TV, they'll brush them with a little toothbrush with the brown stuff. But I'm not embarrassed to gray hair. I think if I were to start going gray, I would just let it go. Also have light hair.
Starting point is 01:41:47 Do you dye your gray's? Yes. I mean, I don't have a ton of ton. Maybe in the back there I do have a patch. But yes, I get my hair colored, so it's fine. Eddie, you? I got some grayes. Peppering into the side or whatever.
Starting point is 01:41:59 But then, of course, my beard has always had gray because I have Vidaligo. But, I mean, whatever, dude, it's going to do whatever he wants to do, and we just roll with it, right? Yeah. My husband's gray. Is he? A lot. Mm-hmm. He looks cool, though, because he's got the sandy blonde gray.
Starting point is 01:42:12 gray mix going. Like, we're all in love with Amy's husband. He just looks cool, man. He's so cool, man. It's like, yeah. How many Ozzy Allborn songs do you know? I don't, Black Sunday Sabbath or? Black Sunday Sabbath. Okay, that's a good one.
