Starting point is 00:03:03 Morning studio. Morning. Monday of next week is Valentine's Day. So lunchbox has called a flower. delivery shop, right? Yeah, I called the flower shop and wanted to order some flowers for my wife, and I wanted to see if she would write certain something on the card. Oh, so that's the joke. The joke is the card. It's not about the flowers. The flowers are, you know, there's a secondary. And what's the joke? What do you ask them to write? I wanted to write the lyrics to honky tonk,
Starting point is 00:03:28 it's so hard to say that. Honky tonk, but don't kodak-a-don. In honor of Trace being on our show yesterday. Yes, we had them on the show, and so I thought, I'd be funny, and see if they catch on to it being a song, and if they'll write it down. Forest, this is speaking. How can I help you? Yes, ma'am. I was just calling to trying to get some flowers for my wife for Valentine's Day. And I was wondering, you know, how much would a dozen roses cost me? One dozen long stem roses arranged. It sits at 100. Okay, and can you write this on the card for me?
Starting point is 00:03:57 Mm-hmm. Okay, are you ready? It's so hard not to stare at that honky tonk, bad donka-donk. Do you have that? Can you repeat that? I have. It's so hard not to stare at that honky tonk. What was the last part? Bad donka donk. But donk a donk. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Keep in perfect rhythm, making you want to swing along. Swing along. Got it going on like Donkey Kong. And oohie. And oohie. Shut my mouth. Slap your grandma. Honky talk.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Badonka donk. And that's it. That's all I want on the card. Okay. Let me read it back to you. Okay. It's so hard not to say. at that honky tonk,
Starting point is 00:04:45 bonkadonk, keeping perfect rhythm, making them want to swing along, got it going on like donkey Kong, and ooey, shut my mouth, slap your grandma, honky tonk,
Starting point is 00:04:58 badonk a donk. I mean, I think that's a compliment. It definitely is. I agree with that one. And what is your billing address? I mean, you can hear the phone. ringing in the background. Like her time was just wasted. They're busy. Yeah, it's almost Valentine's Day.
Starting point is 00:05:18 So how did you end the call? No, no, she asked my address. I got nervous. I hung up. Oh, that is. You just hanging in. I just hung up. So you walked her through all that. I walked her through all that and then she asked me from my address. How would you get nervous? And I didn't know what to say because I'm like, I don't really want to be docock-knock lane. Yeah, it's easy for you to think of now. Where were you when I was doing the call? You could have said that to me. And I just hung up. Can you imagine I just sit beside lunchbox and feed them lying during a prank call? Funny though That's pretty funny
Starting point is 00:05:45 And here's a little honky talk Bonka don't for you Go listen to yesterday's That honed on the Keep in perfect rhythm Make you want to swang a lot more There ought to be a long Go listen to yesterday's show
Starting point is 00:06:10 On the podcast And you can hear Trace Because we had a listener on Who was scammed out of much money And Trace came on Because she was trying to meet him That's how she was scammed And he gave her tickets
Starting point is 00:06:18 And meet and greets And you know Try to help her a little bit with what had happened, and she was like, I want you to play Hockeytonk Bdonka Donk and he goes, we don't play that one anymore. I'm pretty sure he was kidding. But you never know a trace. Nice job.
Starting point is 00:06:32 All right, let's play the mailbag song. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag, yeah. Good morning, Bobby Vones. Several months ago, I went to a local day spa for a massage. During the massage, I thought the therapist was on her phone. I can feel something in the back of my thigh or my butt and then a tapping feeling in that area when she massaged the other area. I went back a few times and sometimes it happens.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Other times it doesn't. Last week, my friend and I went for a spa day. My friend had the same therapist and said she had the same experience. Should I say something? I don't want to get into trouble, but it seems inappropriate. Texting is one thing, but what if you're taking pictures or videos? You ever had a weird massage experience? What would you do?
Starting point is 00:07:15 Wendy T. Well, what I would do since you can't prove it is just not go to that therapist anymore. more. What do you mean you can't prove it? Just look. But they don't have the proof. They have to go back in and do it again. Oh, true. True. Yeah. Yeah. No phones. No phones. No phones. No phones. No phones. In your no phones. In your underwear. And lunchbox goes naked. I do go naked. Absolutely full naked. That's what they ask you to do. Full naked. They like it better when you're fully naked. I don't think they like it better. They can get their hands in there. Can you imagine getting your hands in that? Disgusting. But me too. I'm disgusting too. I don't want people.
Starting point is 00:07:51 So here's what we say. Just go to a different therapist. Yeah, he may, but what if this person? Clearly they keep going back. Must be good. If it's that good, then you just risk having your butt taken. You have a picture to have your butt taken. Weird experiences, yes.
Starting point is 00:08:06 One time I was getting a massage. And at the end, she kissed me on my forehead. And it was so odd that I questioned myself that it even happened. Yeah, like, were you so out of it from the massage? I was like this. I was like, wait, what? Kiss my... And for like the next 10 minutes, I was like, did she...
Starting point is 00:08:24 Then I realized, I know she did. But in the moment, I didn't go like, Did you kiss my forehead? Not that I even would have said anything, I don't think. But I had somebody kiss my forehead. Have you had any weird experience? Yeah, I've had some weird ones. But one that always stands out to me is one that I got at the mall once.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Well, it was a spa that was in the mall, and it was a guy. And he was like pounding my back. Like, pounding it. And he said to me, this is what we call. Tenderizing the meat. That's weird. It's probably like an intern that isn't even, and they didn't have anyone. They're like, hey, Chuck, go in real quick.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Yeah. And I was like, okay, this is, you know, because like you, while you get the back ready to massage it, you tenderize it. And I just was like, did you go, you're not going to eat me, buddy. Awkward. Why are you tenderizing me? I don't know, but it was very awkward. Eddie, you have anything? Well, the only weird part was a coworker of mine.
Starting point is 00:09:19 We were in Vegas for a conference and he was like, hey, let's get a massage. I'll pay for it. He said, cool. I thought he was going to pay for, you know, us to go to two different rooms. We ended up doing a couple's massage and we were right next to each other the whole time. It was very awkward. That's funny. And that was my first massage ever.
Starting point is 00:09:34 That's funny. It was a couple's massage. Yeah, with another dude. I mean, I'd be okay with it, but I wouldn't expect it. Exactly. If he's like, let's go get massages on me, I don't think we go to two different rooms. Yeah. But if he's like, hey, let's go get massager, we can be on the two tables next to each other.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I don't think I would go no No, I don't know, it was fine But I would just Because then we could talk Yeah, which we did not talk But I wasn't expect that Lunchbox? My wife and I did a couple's massage
Starting point is 00:09:58 And they'd said Oh here you can have the room for 45 minutes So I wouldn't say it was awkward It was awesome Okay Well, that's the mailbag You can email us at any time Morgan, what's the address?
Starting point is 00:10:08 Mailbag at bobbybones.com We got your email And we read it on your air Now it's about to close Bobby's mailback Yeah All right, let's play Believe it or not. Amy.
Starting point is 00:10:22 Ready. You're walking out of a restaurant. Is that where you were? Yes. And what happened? Oh, okay. I'm walking out and I just hear Marin. Marin, like, but to me.
Starting point is 00:10:34 And I'm walking down the stairs. And I turn and I was like, I'm not Marin. And then he sees my face. As in Marin Morris. Yes. Yes. And I just turned and I was like, I'm not Aaron. My name's Amy.
Starting point is 00:10:47 And then he looked at me and he goes. Oh, Amy from the Bobby Bone Show, I listen all the time. I don't know. He was older. I mean, not old, old in case he's listening. But, like, maybe like a dad to me. Okay. Or.
Starting point is 00:11:01 So he thought you were Merrin Morris. He thought you were Marin Morris. When I was walking out, he said, Marin. Marin. So, I don't know. That's what happened. What?
Starting point is 00:11:14 Why do you feel awkward? Maybe he could call in. I feel like it's awkward because y'all feel like I'm making this up, but why would I make it up? Believe it or not. Believe it or not. Right. Yeah. Believe it or not. Lunchbox? No, I don't believe it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:29 I think if anything, the guy's messing with you because he listens to the show and you always say, oh, I look like Marin Morris. I don't say that. People do. That's what I'm saying. You bring it up all the time. You bring it up all the time. So I think he is doing it as a joke. I mean, there's no way.
Starting point is 00:11:43 The only thing I guessed that would be similar would be the back of your head and how curly your hair is from the back. Yeah, that's about it. Because she's really short. Well, I know, but a lot of times people don't know how tall people are in an actual person. She's really fighting for her, Bobby. I know. I know. I'm going to go with the guy knew you were you and also was making a joke to you. Oh, okay. Eddie, I go, I'm with you on the back of the hair is probably the only
Starting point is 00:12:13 thing that looks like Marin Morris. Your hair does look like Marin Morris, but your face looks nothing like it, her. Why do people comment that? Very strange. And the color of your hair. Okay. So, Amy, I think you're making this story up. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Oh, you think she's making the whole thing up. Absolutely. No, my husband was there. I have a witness. I was walking out of Whole Foods yesterday. Stop. Okay. You're about to be like, tell this.
Starting point is 00:12:35 You don't even know what happened. You don't even know what happened. I was walking out of Whole Foods yesterday. And so I'm going to go, Sam. And I was like, Sam Hunt? I was like, why are you yelling at me? Sam. And I was like, I was looking for a Sam.
Starting point is 00:12:45 I was like. Yeah, they're jer. And I didn't see a Sam. And he goes, no, you looking. And I turned around. He goes, oh, I thought you were Sam Hunt. Yeah. Crazy, dude.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Okay. Yeah, that's so weird. He just saw my shoulders and biceps. Right, but he just saw my shoulders and biceps. Yeah, okay. Hey, Morgan, do you see any resemblance in Amy and Marin Morris? I do. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:04 I believe it. Honestly, I think it could happen. People on social media comment a lot that she looks like Mary and Morris. What are the odds, though, that someone then recognizes you real quick after thinking you were married. Like, boom, boom. Oh, you're not married and you're Amy. Okay. Well, maybe.
Starting point is 00:13:16 I don't know. If he's listening, maybe he could call in. I know you've invited him twice to call in. Yes. And then he said, and this was outside, and he said, my wife is inside eating. Like, she listens to. Okay, he knew it was you.
Starting point is 00:13:30 He knew it was you. He was just messing with you. He knew it was you. Can you come sing for her? Maybe he heard me singing. What? The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 32nd Skinny.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Florida Georgia Line just celebrated the old. opening of their exhibit at Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. They shared a clarification about their duo career to People magazine stating that they're taking a break to create some solo music, but they are not breaking up. Chris Stapleton's latest number one hit, You Should Probably Leave, was revamped from one of his old albums. I recorded an entire record that was previous to Traveler for Mercury that kind of got canned and never came out. And a version of this song is actually on that record. So it's kind of full circle for this song to kind of reemerge.
Starting point is 00:14:20 It's getting a new life on this record. Ryan Hurd talked about his new single, Pass It On, headed to Country Radio this month. Originally, it was an idea we were kind of angling toward Marin's third album. And so it sort of felt more like it was more of a song for a guy to sing. So somehow it fell out of the three artists in the room, it fell to me. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:14:44 With Bobby. We have an update to a story we talked about a couple weeks ago. You may remember us talking about an eight-year-old kid named Dylan, and while visiting the library with his grandmother, he slipped his book onto a children's bookshelf when no one was looking. Remember the story? Yeah. He said he wanted a book in the library.
Starting point is 00:15:04 He's been wanting it since he was five years old, so he made his own book, and he put it in there. Well, a branch manager and a few workers discovered the read in the library. They loved it, and it met the criteria. for being in the library, so they slapped a barcode on it. They formally added it to the library's collection. And now there's a 55-person wait list to check out the lone copy of the Adventures of Dylan Helbig's Christmas, but spelled C-R-I-S-M-I-S, Christmas.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Dylan, who aspires to come to the next big comic book author already has plans for his next book, the jacket-eating closet, which is based on a true story. Interesting. So this kid just went and did it. and put it in there and now he's got I bet he gets a book deal from this I mean he gets a kid's book deal that's pretty cool that is what it's all about
Starting point is 00:15:51 that was tell me something good I'm gonna play you sounds from the 2000s for example if you hear this sound right here what is that? Like a Nokia? That's it Nokia ringtone you would have got a point Wow wow I would have just said ringtone That was my first phone Nokia Nokia ringtone would have been the answer
Starting point is 00:16:12 Now I want to put Ashley on Ashley good morning how are you Oh my gosh good morning Morning Bobby, morning studio. Morning. Ashtar, we're going to give you a chance. If you pick the right person and they win, you're going to win not only some crap from the back, but one of those fancy toasters.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Does the person she teams up with Giddo Toster? No. Hey, Scova Steve, can you tell us a little more about this fancy toaster? Yeah, so she's going to get the Revolution cooking toaster that's got the digital little screen on the front. Plus it comes with some accessories. There's a little pinnini maker. Wow.
Starting point is 00:16:45 This toaster got me in a lot of trouble. trouble when I put it on Instagram and people said, we can't believe you spent all that money on a toaster. That's amazing. And I said, it is what it is, baby. It's an awesome toaster. Did you ever see that toaster, Ashley? Oh my gosh, yes, I did. Did Amy ever get the toaster? Because I know she said she wanted
Starting point is 00:17:03 one. She put it in her car. I put it in my cart and then I thought about it for 24 hours and then I was still going to do it and then I didn't do it. So I guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm going to wait for a special occasion like my birthday's coming up. That's true. Hey, so Ashley, if you pick the right person, you will win this toaster and a beanie baby from my collection.
Starting point is 00:17:23 Wow. Oh, my gosh. Now, it's quite the day, huh? Okay, so you have three options here. You have the aforementioned Amy. Hello. Lunchbox. Man, I am ready to toast your toast, girl.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Lunchbox or Eddie. What up, what up. They will hear sounds from the 2000s. Like Amy. Whomever gets the most wins, and if you pick the right person, you also win. Okay, Ashley. Okay. But if you don't win, I can't give you the toaster.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Okay. All right. That's okay. Okay. Go ahead. Pick somebody. I'm going to go with Amy because I absolutely love Amy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Okay, here we go. I'm going to get you that toaster. You can win her that toaster. I know. You burn your toast now. All right, here we go. Write your answer down. Number one.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Ouch. What is that from? Oh, that's great. What is? Write your answer down. That is a famous sound from the 2000. Right now, Eddie's struggling? Yeah, big time.
Starting point is 00:18:26 Yeah, what happens when we play young people games? Eddie, what do you have? Band-Aid commercial. Oh. What is that? Wow, he really didn't know. I thought he was just kind of joking. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Charlie bit my finger. Amy? Charlie bit me. Yes. That's Charlie bit my finger. The famous YouTube video from 2007. We all reenacted it and made our own video. Next up, name this sound from the 2000s.
Starting point is 00:18:50 It's your movie. Everybody's writing it down. Eddie? Yeah, that's Missy Misdemeanor. Reverse it. No good. No good. Lunch Fox.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Missy Elliott. I need the name of the song. Oh, you need the name. Yeah, you didn't hear me. I give you five seconds. Yeah, I don't know. My milkshake brings all the boys in the yard. Boom.
Starting point is 00:19:16 No good. What? Amy. I have Missy Elliott flip it and reverse it. No good. Put your thing down for a bit? It's working. Let me work.
Starting point is 00:19:29 I put my thing down. Flip it and reverse it. And then... Well, close enough. All right. Amy one, lunchbox one, Eddie, zero. I have... You have one.
Starting point is 00:19:41 We've only done two. I feel like I got that one just now. Okay, so did I. I feel like I got it. But it ain't happening. You know what I'm saying? Here we go. I don't know what he said.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Number three. I said, I feel like I have wings that will grow out of my butt and fly, but that ain't happening. Got it. Oh. That sound is from 2001. Five seconds, guys. Lunchbox sounds like he's using the bathroom. Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:16 I don't know. That was tough. Okay, Amy. 2001. Answer. I don't know. Blockbuster. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Lunchbox. Netflix. Uh-uh. Ready to get back in this and tie it up. Please. Go. Please tell me I have this. Is this Windows startup?
Starting point is 00:20:33 Correct. Yeah! Starting up the computer, man. 2001 Windows. Once he said 2001, I knew I was wrong. Number four of seven. Here we go. You do too.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Not then. This wasn't about kids. This is from the 2000s. I knew this. Yes. I did this. We all should know it. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:21:03 But I did it. I didn't do this. You could be doing it now. I could? I doubt it. I'm not that nerdy. I doubt it. You're a rascally, lermit.
Starting point is 00:21:20 What year was this? 2009. You surely did this lunchbox. Oh, you know it? Yeah. I have no idea what this is. Okay. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Pokemon Go. Amy. Farmland. Farm. Farm. Farm. Shoot. I called it.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Farmland. I don't give it to her. I can't give it to me. I wrote it down. What did you write down? Farmland. Eddie? No, man, that's Angry Birds.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Angry Birds, it is. It's angry birds. It's angry birds. I got to be honest, I did this for three days. Angry. You did do it. I did it's three days. There are. I never played that.
Starting point is 00:21:56 Three remaining. Hey, I'm back. You're back. Eddie is now in the lead. Hey, I don't care as long as Amy don't win. We didn't get picked. It's whoever didn't get picked. Oh, that's true.
Starting point is 00:22:05 That's up. Like five different things went through my head and changed as that went. You can only write one down. I know. Write your answer down, guys. I guess I was not a lot. In the 2000s? That's it. The year 2000. This wasn't in the 90s.
Starting point is 00:22:44 No. Oh my gosh. This wasn't. What the heck happened in the 2000s? A lot. A lot happened. I don't even know. The whole collection. Can we hear it one more time? No. Like for the 2000s are.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Lots of styles. All right guys. Everybody in. Amy. The Simpsons. I know that's not right, but do you hear it in the beginning though? No. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Play it. The Simpsons.
Starting point is 00:23:11 That's good. Just saying over it. No, but then it goes into. Keep playing it. Hold on, we got to get the answer. Hold on. We're not going to play what it almost is. Lunch bikes.
Starting point is 00:23:20 It's when the blizzard's rolling in. It's frozen. Incorrect. I know. If you hear it in the beginning, play it. Eddie. No, man, that's the castle
Starting point is 00:23:27 and it's the beginning of Disney movies. Correct. But that's not just in the 2000s, though. Disney, it's when it started 2000. Yeah. Disney started in 19. No, it was when that sound. I should have just put Disney.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Next up. Don't hate guys. What's that sound? What is that? Sounds from the 2000s. 2001 is this? And I, this could have been me. What do you mean by that?
Starting point is 00:23:55 That could have been me making that sound. It's not, it wasn't, but I'm saying that could have been me making that sound. Okay. Could have been here making that sound. Well, I don't know, guys. Lunchbox? Typewriter. Amy?
Starting point is 00:24:08 Duck calls. Eddie? Yeah, Budweiser commercial. It's the iPod. The what? When the iPod came out. Oh, yes. I used to navigate on it.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Yeah, that's the iPod wheel. I thought it was the, maybe 2000 was too early for, what's that show, Duck Dynasty. Yeah, that was a good guess, though. Final one. Familiar at all? Whoa. That definitely gives me that feeling of, oh, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:51 Worth five points. All right, everybody in? In, friends. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Lunchbox. That's the Apple iPhone unveiling. Yeah, nailed it.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Amy? I just have Apple, the company. I need to talk to Mike and see what he thinks. Yeah, see, he's got to be more specific. You do? Eddie. Because I don't think it's the phone. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:25:14 Eddie. I mean, I have Farmville. So I'm out of this. It's not Farmville. And the final question worth five points. Mike, are we going to accept him? No, because Nintendo Wii. Oh, you're way off, dude.
Starting point is 00:25:28 You're a way off. Oh, this is depressing. Eddie, you want. Oh my God! Let's go! Oh, gosh. She doesn't get the toaster. Like the toast.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Yeah, that's with the whole joke. Dang, I feel so bad. Hey, Eddie, all actually sing this time. I feel terrible. Town, tow, tow. Oh, dude, town, tow. Woo! What a hater.
Starting point is 00:25:49 You said the hater. Ashley, you didn't win. Ashley, I'm so sorry. I don't know. That's okay. We're sorry, Ashley. No excuses. Ashley, next time you pick me?
Starting point is 00:25:58 Yeah, Eddie wins most games. I mean. But I still could. a, it was just a few tricky ones. You only got one point of the whole seven. Really? Yeah. Are you sure?
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yeah. You nailed that Nokia ringtone. I thought you were a high. I got the example. I got the example right. Okay. Ashley, I'm very sorry. You didn't win.
Starting point is 00:26:19 It's okay. Okay. I'm just glad I got the call in. Hey, Ashley, you want to give anybody a shout out? Oh, I think you about to volunteer to buy her a toaster, Amy. I was like, wow, you are crazy. That would have been real nice, you, Amy. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:26:33 I just want to give a shout out to my sister, Bailey Hall. She's at work right now. I was headed down to class right now, but she's actually the one who turned me on to y'all show. I was a sophomore in high school when I started listening,

Starting point is 00:27:13 Oh, no. We just felt me get older in one single second. All right, Ashley, have a good day. We're a cool day. I should start saying that now. Have a cool day. That's such an idiot. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. All right, so we have two different people in the show that reached out to me. First of all, Eddie, the second of all, Ray Bundo. And they both came to me with a similar story about lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:31:44 About me? Yeah, Eddie's note, same story. They both brought the same thing at different times. Eddie said, Lunchbox is making the show look bad in public. Ray said, went to lunch with lunchbox, and got a taste of LB's celebrity status. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:32:01 So they both have their version of the story. Eddie, I'll let you go first. Yes, we go to lunch. It's us three. And, I mean, we walk in, we order our food. It's a pizza place. And then we sit down. We're talking, and the food comes.
Starting point is 00:32:14 And not even the server, just the guy out of the kitchen who's delivering the food. He puts the pizza in front of lunchbox. and lunchbox is looking at it. That's not my pizza. And the guy said, well, that's what you ordered the sausage pepperoni. He's like, that's not mine. I ordered the large.
Starting point is 00:32:28 And the attitude was, the guy had no idea what to do. He's like, sir, look, here's the receipt. There's the size you ordered, the toppings, and he gets frustrated. Was he angry immediately? Lunchbox started to turn red and said, I'm not eating that pizza. That's not what I ordered. And he pointed to me in Ray's pizza, which was the extra large one. He goes, that's the size I want.
Starting point is 00:32:50 and I mean he starts making a huge deal in this restaurant everyone can hear okay so is that your story yes ramundo I'd like me to share your version of the story yeah we had talked about lunchbox being a celeb and we were maybe going to do a bit where he walks into restaurants well he walked into this restaurant I mean the cashier didn't recognize him there were other diners none of them recognized him and then he sits down at the table and the guy that delivered our pizza had no idea who he was and started getting in a disagreement with him to the point that him and the cashier the guy that delivered the pizza were like making fun of lunch and laughing.
Starting point is 00:33:22 They're like, there's a customer. Like, they were giggling at him disagreeing with the size of his pizza. So, like, they definitely didn't know who he was. And they just thought he was an older dude at a college pizza place, like, teasing him. So what do you remember happening with the pizza? Yeah, lunch totally screwed up the size. It was like, it wasn't small, medium, and large. It was 16, 18, 24.
Starting point is 00:33:44 And lunch just screwed up the numbers and said 16, which is actually a small. It sounds big. and so he ordered a small when he thought he ordered a large. So the guy brings the pizza out, then how do lunchbox treat the guy from the kitchen? That's not my pizza. I told you. I'm not exaggerating.
Starting point is 00:34:00 But guys, realize that he turned his shoulder to him like, I'm not even looking at that pizza because it's not mine. Oh, you wouldn't even look at it. Correct. Here's what happened. I went up to the counter and I said, oh, I don't know how size that is, but that sounds too small.
Starting point is 00:34:14 I'll take the larger pizza. And then I went and sat down. So when this guy comes up, I'm facing my left talking to everyone. He comes up on my right shoulder and he puts this tiny pizza there. Like, you know, you go to a... That you ordered? Like a personal little...
Starting point is 00:34:26 Like you go to a baseball game and you get that little box of pizza. It was that small. That you ordered? And I said, no, because I said the larger pizza. Did you say it that way? Like exactly, you mean. Say it right now how you said it there. I don't know what size that number is.
Starting point is 00:34:39 I said, but I'll take the larger one. At the counter. Yes, which is the bigger pizza of the two options. And so I was like, cool. I'm going to get the larger pizza. and it comes and it's that small one you get at baseball games. And I just looked at it
Starting point is 00:34:52 over my right shoulder and said that's not my pizza. So you wouldn't look at the pizza. Because it's not my pizza. Once you looked at it, then it's like you bought it. You see it, you buy it. I didn't want to breathe on it and him be like, oh, sorry, sir, you breathed on it. You have to eat that pizza.
Starting point is 00:35:05 Because that happens. Because you thought, you truly thought he accidentally brought someone else's pizza to you. He brought someone else's pizza and he goes, aren't you order number 54? I was like, I don't know what number I am. And I mean, we really were the only ones in the restaurant. So I was like, okay, well, no one else ordered pizza.
Starting point is 00:35:20 So I said, fine, man, I'll just eat it. Whatever. You said it that way? Yeah. Exactly. Because I was so hungry that I ordered the larger pizza. They messed up my order because the girl at the front, she's too busy with her earbuds in her dang ears that she doesn't want to pay attention to the customers.
Starting point is 00:35:35 Xbox is yelling at the sky right now. I mean, that's what's annoying about this is it's her fault because she had, did she have earbuds in? She had earbuds in. So obviously she's not paying attention to the customer. Did she get your order right any? She got it to the T. Did she get raised water right? She got mine right, but she definitely didn't understand Eddie.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Eddie got a free water because she didn't know he wanted to water. So Eddie just grabbed it from the freezer. Yeah, some sparkling water. So Eddie got a free water. She was like, oh, just keep it. So she wasn't paying attention. So she screwed up. And so I was frustrated.
Starting point is 00:36:03 When someone doesn't do their job, I'm mad. And I didn't. And so, yes, I jumped on the guy from the kitchen. Probably not his fault. But when you bring me the small pizza, when I order the larger pizza, I'm frustrated. And I'm frustrated now because I was so hungry. And Bones, that rant, you just heard he did that. the table. I thought that y'all were exaggerating and that he would come on and sort of redeem himself
Starting point is 00:36:23 in a way. But he's confirmed, I think I've asked twice, that was the tone you were using. And he's like, yes. So like, I don't. You have to let them know that you're frustrated. No, you don't. You can be like. Are people not allowed to mess up? Or did you mess up? Or did you mess up? He messed up. I didn't mess up. He said, I'll take the larger one. But that, to me, says nothing. That's, to me, that says there are three sides. If there is a 16. I don't remember 20 and a 22. You have to say 22. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Or I think the larger ones actually the middle. There's that one, the larger and the largest. Right. Take the larger one. No, this was a specialty pizza so they had two sizes. Oh, thank for the fruit. It wasn't just a plain, no, no. Are you?
Starting point is 00:37:04 Wait. Hold on. There was like plain pepperoni, you know, had three sizes. But this had like pepperoni and sausage and something, so they only had two sizes. So, your honor, can I call a witness? Amy, go ahead. What are you going to ask? I was going to ask.
Starting point is 00:37:16 He was hungry right. now. Sounds like it. He's like, why is he so angry? Who's your witness? Oh, there's a bald guy in the back. Oh, scuba?
Starting point is 00:37:25 Yeah. Scuba. Where are you bringing him in here? How busy? What do you want? Scoba, did I order the larger pizza or did the guy? Who screwed up? First off, he handled it the wrong way.
Starting point is 00:37:34 I was sitting next to him. It was very embarrassing. Yeah, the ordering part happens all the time. Yeah, you make mistakes. How you treat a person when they come up who didn't mess it up. Exactly. Yeah, the guy had nothing to do with him. Hey, never mind.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I don't want this witness because I thought he was going to come here and Spend me. He might. Hold on. Orders get messed up all the time, but go ahead. I was getting to my point here. Yes, and plus you're messing with food. I never want to mess with my food because they get spitting it, whatever. But he was 100% correct. When we initially ordered, he did say he wanted a larger one, which was size 18 or whatever it was.
Starting point is 00:38:00 She just was not paying attention at all. But I don't think our beef is really that you ordered it wrong. How you handled it? Like when someone comes and brings you it and you just turn away from them, you're like, not my pizza. That's not mine. I won't look at it because I heard the rule. You breathe it. you buy it so I will
Starting point is 00:38:18 refuse to turn my chair around. Yeah, it's just treating. It's just treating the person like a human. Yeah. Right. They brought me a kid's pizza, okay? And I'm not a kid.
Starting point is 00:38:30 That's all I'm saying. But he didn't know, and he thought that's what you order. But why did you not just say I'll take the 22 like the menu said? I just saw and I said, I want the larger one. But why not just say what the menu said? Listen, okay. You learn, right? You learn.
Starting point is 00:38:44 We have to treat this like we talk to our kids. and say, hey, what are you really feeling right now? Like, what's happening? Oh, I was feeling anger. Hanger. Hanger. I was feeling anger. I was feeling anger because I was so hungry.
Starting point is 00:38:56 And they brought me the kid-sized pizza and I was like, well, this ain't going to fill me up. So I had to go home and eat a second lunch. Well, I understand that feeling hungry can make you angry. Times are tough. But you're a kind person and you were not kind. You were not kind. You did not act kind.
Starting point is 00:39:09 Yeah, and they weren't kind either because they didn't fix their mistakes. And sounds like you weren't that famous. Oh, yeah. Hold on. Hold on. All because two people didn't recognize me. Wow. Sounds like the guy that claims he goes in everywhere and is all.
Starting point is 00:39:22 I bet if Walker Hayzer walked in, they'd have been like, ooh, free pizza. Let's make him an extra special bigger one than it's even on the venue. Oh, they probably have a special fancy like pizza. Oh, yeah. Fancy like. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:39:33 What did you learn from this lunchbox? Really, what did you learn from this segment? Hey, ma'am, can you take your headphones out so I can order my pizza? Oh, boy. All right. That wasn't really the message. But okay, maybe that's what you learned to make sure they don't confuse your order. Is your wife embarrassed?
Starting point is 00:39:45 She wasn't there. Well, clearly this isn't the first time you behaved this way. Clearly. No, I mean, she's not embarrassed. Were you guys embarrassed? They were acting this way, honestly. Yes, so embarrassed. It's good what you were, too?
Starting point is 00:39:55 Yeah, it was very embarrassing. You can't treat people that way. It was really, and if you are a celebrity, now they know you as this jerk. No, because when you are a... But good for you, you're not, so they don't. So, hey, at least you won that one. Lucky for you. The average person stops caring what other people think at this.
Starting point is 00:40:15 age. Never. That's funny. What is it? You tell me? I don't know. I haven't hit it yet. So 60.
Starting point is 00:40:24 You're right. You haven't hit it yet. Okay. What is it? Eddie? 45. 43. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:29 I'm about there. The average person stops carrying what other people think at age 43. That's when we're not as picky about what we wear, how other's perceives. We do our own thing. We're like, we finally figured it out. The key is not carrying what other people think.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Yeah, that's cool. So Eddie, you are almost, you're there in a month. I'm telling. I am. Oh my gosh. And I really am almost there. I think once I lose the hat and just start like just embracing my bald head, I think I'll be there 100%. Does that happen soon? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:40:58 No chance. Do you shave? I would probably shave it. But I would also be the one that doesn't shave for about a week and have like the little too long. I mean, that will be such a change. You think? When you just go full your dad. Oh, I'm like, I did. I will look exactly like my dad.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Here's Amy's pile of stories. So I don't really care so much about the football game when it comes to the Super Bowl, but some of the fun bets that are placed are interesting to me. Like, what color will the liquid be that's poured on the coach that wins? The liquid. It sounds gross. Like Gatorade? The Gatorade.
Starting point is 00:41:32 It's called a prop bet is what the sports books called these, I guess. And it says liquid. Okay. It sounds gross. How would you say with Gatorade? Okay. Well, Gatorade. You know the odds-on favorite?
Starting point is 00:41:45 Yellow probably. Red. Really? Oh, that means somebody knows something. Well, no, I don't think so. I don't think so. What else? Who will the Super Bowl MVP of the game thank first?
Starting point is 00:41:56 What are they? Jesus? God. Disneyland? God is in it number three. I was sure by that. Who's first? Teammates.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Well, they may not be religious. Yeah, but everyone says thank God. No, they don't. Not everybody does. But yeah, teammates is a big one. Okay. No one is in at number two. It's just themselves.
Starting point is 00:42:14 Only have me. to thank you. I played a heck of a game. And then Jesus' God's number three? Yeah. Will Snoop Dog smoke on stage during the halftime show? I saw this one. He won't. He can't do that. Well, he can. It's in California. He could. He can't. It's illegal. Can you imagine if he does that.
Starting point is 00:42:30 I just think it's a Pepsi sponsored show. So I'm going to think they say, hey, don't do that. Will M&M be censored at any point during the halftime show? Do you have the odds on that? Yeah, the odds are yes, at 64%. Oh, he'd have a percentage. Yeah, I think so. You're writing that bed down?
Starting point is 00:42:48 I think he says a bad word or two. And then this is the national anthem one, but like with a twist, will any scoring drive take less time than it takes to sing the national anthem? Oh, that's interesting. Because the national anthem, what, a minute 45? Yeah, a little less than two. I mean, that's two, three plays. I don't know, maybe.
Starting point is 00:43:07 I wouldn't bet that one. Well, the over under for Mickey Guyton to sing the anthem is one minute and 38 seconds. Okay, there you go. So you're into that. Okay, we're going to go over some of the grossest words to say in the English language. I want to see where you feel or where you sit with them, Bobby, okay? Puss. I don't like it.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Flem. I'm okay with it. Seapage. I don't like it. Moist. Fine. I don't mindful. I like moist.
Starting point is 00:43:32 I like a cake. It's moist. I don't people hate that word, but I'm okay with moist. Curd. It's fine. I like cheese curd. Last one is discharge. That's gross.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Like, what actually happens is gross. The word is okay, though. Like, what if you're discharged from a hospital? That's different. Even when people say that, it's like, ugh. Really? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:50 Okay, so with the Super Bowl coming up, if you're trying to plan your snacks for the weekend, I've got some suggestions from Luke Bryan and then Marin Morris. Okay. Definitely Super Bowl is like the queso, the Frito-Lay scoops with the Rotel situation. I guess it's like three, you know, what's the black IP stuff to? All of that. Just stuff you can just sit there. and have a lot of sodium and then just,
Starting point is 00:44:17 it's like Thanksgiving all over again. I think he's referring to cowboy caviar. My favorite Super Bowl snack. I mean, at the last Super Bowl, I drank a lot of margaritas. So I don't know if that's a snack or kid-friendly, but I love a charcutory board. I'm Amy. That's my pile.
Starting point is 00:44:35 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Well, dad of the year here. So there's this little four-year-old girl, Everly, and she's had open heart surgery. In fact, throughout her life, she's had eight surgeries on her chest. Again, she's only four.
Starting point is 00:44:55 So she has this scar. They call it her zipper scar where they go in and, like, work on her from time to time. And her dad, Matt, he was worried that she was going to be self-conscious about it. He doesn't have any tattoos. Well, because he never really had a reason to go get one until now. So on his own, just him. He went to the tattoo parlor, got a zipper tattoo tattoo. on his chest and now
Starting point is 00:45:16 Everly is definitely not alone. It's awesome. Yeah, she actually is like, oh dad, you copied me, so very cute. That's cool. Makes her feel too like she's not alone. Yes, exactly. Ah, great. That's what it's all about. That was Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:45:32 All right, top three songs in country music ad number three, Jimmy Allen and Brad Paisley, Freedom was a Highway. Morgan Wallin at number two, sand in my boots. Something about the way she kissed me, tells me Zee Love, Eastern Tennessee. And number one, Chris Stapleton, you should probably leave. Jam. Number one, pop song, Glass Animals, Heat Waves.
Starting point is 00:46:07 You may wonder why we didn't sing all those country songs at St. Well, we hear them every second of the day. We do. We hear them every second of every day. And as much as we like them, you know, after a while, it just exists. And the number one Billboard Hot 100 song, We Don't Talk About Bruno from Disney's Enkanto. Close. Close. Yeah, very close.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Enkanto. Enkanto. Enkanto. We don't talk about Bruno. No. Amy's joke coming up in about 30 seconds. Brooke in Tampa, Florida is on the phone right now. Let's go over and talk to Brooke.
Starting point is 00:46:44 What's going on, Brooke? I was calling to see it, because I live in Tampa, and I'm taking my son to see you and Bobby and the Raging Idiots at the Strawberry Festival. And I was calling to see if you guys are going to sell meat and greet tickets. I know the venue is doing something since it's a festival. We don't really control the meet and greets. The venue does. I do know now they're doing something because I was like, hey, we're good. We're vaccinated.
Starting point is 00:47:07 We're good. So I would just email the venue. We are playing Strawberry Festival coming up on March 12th. We are doing meat and grease, but I'm not sure how you get them through the venue. Because we don't have the right to sell them. You know what I mean, Amy? Yeah. We just, we kind of sold our rights to the, so yes, we're doing them, but I do not know how.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Okay. That is no help at all. I know. I gave you no help because I, yes, I don't, maybe try the radio station. I don't know. If it was our own show, we would just go, yeah, we'll add you to it, but it's not. But we'll, I don't know. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I feel like you're looking at me like I have some. I'm like Amy Bell me out of this because I don't have an answer. I would just check with Strawberry Festival. There you go. people. All right. Okay. So contact the Starberry Festival.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Awesome. Well, thank you so much. All right. Hopefully we get to meet you. Okay, hopefully. All right. Bye-bye. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:47:51 That is March 12th, Plant City, Florida. Tickets at Raging Idiots.com. If you're in Tampa or you want to drive down, it's basically our only show this year. Yeah. So it is. Come one, come all. Drive from all over the country. Please.
Starting point is 00:48:04 All right. Joke time. Let's go. The morning corny. Where do math teachers like to go on vacation? Where do math teachers like to go on vacation? Time Square. Time Square.
Starting point is 00:48:21 That was the morning corny. Pretty good. All right, let's play the mailbag song. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Good morning, Bobby Bones. Several months ago, I went to a local day spa for a massage.
Starting point is 00:48:41 During the massage, I thought the therapist was on her phone. I could feel something in the back of my thigh or my butt, and then a tapping feeling in that area when she massaged the other area. I went back a few times, and sometimes it happens, other times it doesn't. Last week, my friend and I went for a spa day. My friend had the same therapist and said she had the same experience. Should I say something? I don't want to get in trouble, but it seems inappropriate.
Starting point is 00:49:03 Texting is one thing, but what if you're taking pictures or videos? You ever had a weird massage experience? What would you do? Windy T. Well, what I would do since you can't prove it It's just not go to that therapist anymore What do you mean you can't prove it? Just look But they don't have the proof They have to go back in and do it again
Starting point is 00:49:20 Oh, true. True. True. Yeah. Yeah, no phones. No phones. No phones. No phones. No phones. In your underwear or naked. No. And lunchbox goes naked. I do go naked. Absolutely full naked. That's what they ask you to do. Full naked. They like it better when you're fully naked. I don't think they like it better. They get their hands in there. Can you imagine in your hands? Disgusting. But me too. I'm disgusting too.
Starting point is 00:49:44 I don't want people... So here's what we say. Just go to a different therapist. Yeah, he may... But what if this person... Clearly, they keep going back. Must be good. If it's that good,
Starting point is 00:49:53 then you just risk having your butt taken. You know, a picture of your butt taken. Weird experiences. Yes. One time, I was getting a massage. And at the end, she kissed me on my forehead. And it was so odd that I questioned myself
Starting point is 00:50:08 that it even happened. Yeah, like, were you so out of it from the massage? I was like, this was like, wait, what? Kiss my. And for like the next 10 minutes, I was like, did she? Then I realized, I know she did. But in the moment, I didn't go like, did you kiss my forehead? Not that even would have said anything, I don't think.
Starting point is 00:50:25 But I had somebody kissed my forehead. Have you had any weird experience? Yeah, I've had some weird ones. But one that always stands out to me is one that I got at the mall once. Well, it was a spa that was in the mall, and it was a guy. and he was like pounding my back, like pounding it. And he said to me, this is what we call, tenderizing the meat.
Starting point is 00:50:46 That's weird. It's probably like an intern that isn't even, and they didn't have anyone. And they're like, hey, Chuck, go in real quick. Yeah. And I was like, okay, this is, you know, because while you get the back ready to massage it, you tenderize it.
Starting point is 00:51:01 And I just was like, you're not going to eat me, buddy. Awkward. Why are you tenderizing me? I don't know, but it was very awkward. Eddie, you have anything? Well, the only weird part was a coworker of mine. We were in Vegas for a conference and he was like, hey, let's get a massage.
Starting point is 00:51:15 I'll pay for it. He said, cool. I thought he was going to pay for us to go to two different rooms. We ended up doing a couple's massage and we were right next to each other the whole time. It was very awkward. That's funny. And that was my first massage ever. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:51:28 It was a couple's massage. Yeah, with another dude. I mean, I'd be okay with it, but I wouldn't expect it. I just, exactly. Let's go get massages on me. I don't think we go to two different rooms. Yeah. But if he's like, hey, let's go get massager.
Starting point is 00:51:39 We could be on the two tables next to each other. I don't think I would go, no. No, no, no, it was fine. But I would just, because then we could talk. Yeah, which we did not talk. But I wouldn't expect that. Lunchbox? My wife and I did a couple's massage, and they'd said,
Starting point is 00:51:53 oh, here, you can have the room for 45 minutes. I wouldn't say it was awkward. It was awesome. Okay. Well, that's the mailbag. You can email us at any time. Morgan, what's the address? Mailbag at bobbybones.com.
Starting point is 00:52:03 We've got your email and we've read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mail pack. Yeah. All right, the next segment, you guys have a chance to win $20. Oh, I'm right. In the studio. So what we're going to do is this sparkling water challenge. What?
Starting point is 00:52:17 You'll all get a cup of water. You have drink it all the way down. It's a race to not burp. Oh, my goodness. Oh, that's easy. Yeah. Sparkling water. It's carbonated.
Starting point is 00:52:26 It causes you to burp. Like instantly. I don't know what sparkling water is, so I'll just drink it. Fizzy water. Like Lecroy or. Oh, yeah. kids call it hot water. It feels hot when they fall away. Spicy water. Spice water. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:38 I'll drink it, whatever. Okay, so it's not to burp. You have a whole cup and it's not to burp. And then what if multiple of us don't burr? I don't have any rules. I don't know. What is the money? I don't know if we do we split it. Hey. No, Amy, we don't split it. He just gives 20 to each person. Oh, I like that. Oh, no, I don't like that either. We'll do that next.

Starting point is 00:56:30 All right, the sparkling water challenge. You all have a cup of sparkling water. And on TikTok, it's, can you do it without burping? Person that lasts the longest gets 20 bucks. Okay? Oh, yeah. Morgan, so you be watching Eddie. Mike, you watch lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:56:44 And don't try to slip a little burp out like this. Oh, yeah, yeah. And Amy, you're just honest, so I trust you. All right, here we go. She needs a judge. Well, she's already drinking. He's right here. He's right here already drinking.
Starting point is 00:56:55 Yeah, 15 seconds to chug your whole cup. Oh, gee. What? Yeah, it's a chug. Go. Go. Go. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:57:03 Oh, Amy just throwing up. Amy's throwing up. All right. Lunchbox is done. No problem. Oh, crap. It's coming up. Oh, it's coming up.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Swallow it down. My eyes are watery, both. The goal is not to burp. Amy thinks it's hilarious. Who did? Amy did. Oh, Amy burfs. My eyes are water.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Amy's out. Oh, dude. My eyes are water, dude. Hey, why do your eyes water? What's in this? Well, I'm glad you asked. We put vodka in this. There's a little something called arsenic.
Starting point is 00:57:35 This is how everybody gets poison and dies on the air, Jim Jones style. Hey, man. I think I think I'm past it. You are? I think. I think I'm past it. Do we have another can? Oh.
Starting point is 00:57:44 No, no, no, no, I can't do any more. Now it's a challenge. Is this when we tell them? Let's go. Only psychopaths don't burp. Is that true? I think Amy's drunk from the sparkling water. You guys, no burp from me.
Starting point is 00:57:58 I think I'm good. I'm still water. Are your eyes water? Yeah, there's still water. I don't know what's wrong with me. What's wrong with it? Why is it doing more? Here we go.
Starting point is 00:58:06 Let's do another shotter. Three. Pour it. Two. One, go. Okay. Chuck, Chuck, Chuck. Wow, how did you do that?
Starting point is 00:58:14 No more in Lunch's Cup. No more in Eddie's cup. Oh, crap. It's right there. Oh, don't do it. Oh, man, it's right on my neck. Yeah. Don't do it.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Let it out. Let it out. It's going. Let it out. All right. Eddie's staring at the mic. It passed. It's down.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Yeah, let it out, buddy. Let's go. Okay. Lunchbox is a weird. Do you not feel anything? My eyes keep watering, but I don't know. Even just a tiny sip like that, I feel it. So you guys don't need to burp at all.
Starting point is 00:58:47 I feel like I want to throw up because this stuff is terrible tasting. It's still there. It's bubbling, but I'm not throwing up. I mean, burping. Like, I take one sip. I'm like, oh, it tastes. Like you? Wow.
Starting point is 00:58:59 I, Amy. That's just for one tip. Well, I'll just award both you guys the prize then. Yeah! All right, you both got. Wow, that's impressive. Are we done? What's up? Are we done with the competition?
Starting point is 00:59:12 I'm not gonna do it. Yeah, see, 80, I'm like, shut up, dude, I'm trying to hold it in now. Do you have one on your, on the tip of your truck? I think it's down in my stomach. I got in my diaphragm now. I can feel it. Is this a diaphragm? Yes. Yes, yes.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Oh man, I'm good. You guys good? I'm good. I'm good. Go to commercial. All right. Go ahead. can burp. Go ahead. I don't need to.
Starting point is 00:59:32 I don't trust you. I don't trust you. They don't need to. All right. Simon says you can burp. No, we're not playing Simon says. I hear you. There's your money.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Yeah. Thank you, dude. Yeah, here you go. Come get your money. Let's get the money. He's got it, so now you can burp. I don't need to burp. You don't at all?
Starting point is 00:59:51 I feel it in my stomach. It all went down there, but I don't need to burp. I thought I was going to burp right when I got that money. I was hurting a lot worse than I was trying to let on. Like it doesn't feel good, bones. I'm very... Wow, it doesn't burn yet. Wow.
Starting point is 01:00:06 No. No. No. No. It's hard. All right. All right. Okay, we're grossing.
Starting point is 01:00:14 We're grossing. All right. Jimmy Allen, Brad Paisley, Bobby Bone Show. Congratulations, guys. Most men think women wear makeup to just trick them. And trick them into thinking they're attractive and trick them into dating them and marrying them. And then once a lot of them, and then once.
Starting point is 01:00:30 They got them. They don't wear makeup anymore. I feel like we wear makeup for ourselves and for our girlfriends. Like, it... First, I would like to say that it is unfair that socially women are expected or encouraged to wear makeup. It is not fair. It stinks for you guys. I hate it for you. Because it is just, okay, you're now an adult woman. You got to wear makeup. And there are some that don't, but for the most part, all women do. So what's the trick part?
Starting point is 01:00:59 95%. Because you can see the makeup. The trick part is dudes are idiots, thinking this. I would compare this to women in purses. You don't get a purse, a fancy purse, a nice purse, cute purse to impress a guy. You get it to impress your other girlfriends. The same thing with makeup, or you wear just enough for it to be socially accepted at work, which is dumb that you have to wear makeup.
Starting point is 01:01:21 That stinks. I hate that for it. You have to shave everything, and you got to wear makeup. Thank you. Because it is not fair. And whomever put these rules on you guys, we should go back and do retro cancelling. And I hate canceling. I think canceling is the dumbest thing you can do.
Starting point is 01:01:33 I hate retro cancelling whenever you cancel somebody for something that at the time socially was acceptable, but now you deem it on except for this instance. Yeah, this one's bad. Whoever did that in the 1700s, we canceled. Sir Wilbur of Nottingham, canceled. Sir Wilbur. Whoever you are. I do, I feel bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Well, I mean, at times I really enjoy makeup and I think it's fun. I wish I could wear it too. I'll be creative. Yes. Yes, and guys can now. And that's what you can be the change of that too. Ain't no way. But...
Starting point is 01:02:01 Not you, Bunzo. Make it acceptable. Yes, you can, but there's an expectation to... Oh, yeah. And it is unfair. Now, I have to wear makeup for any sort of on-camera project that I do. And I don't hate it. I don't wear it when I'm not on camera, but I probably would if it were a little more accepted.
Starting point is 01:02:22 So you... What would be the fairest is you aren't expected to wear makeup anywhere. and then when you felt like you wanted to put it on for a special occasion, like dressing up for a nice dinner or dressing up for a wedding, you could put makeup on. But guys should be able to do the same. I'm talking about mascara. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 01:02:39 I'm talking about it. Blush and stuff. The whole thing. Let's go. Let's party. But no, I don't think you're doing it to trick guys. And guys that think that are pretty dupuses. Yes, because obviously it's a trick if you can't see that it's there.
Starting point is 01:02:53 And it's like, you can see the makeup. So nobody's tricking you. Also, I have a friend who her husband, has never seen her without makeup. That's so crazy. I know. She takes it off when the lights are off, huh? Yeah, or she just sleeps in it and wakes up with it and then puts...
Starting point is 01:03:07 That's crazy. I know. And it's funny, when we watch, you watch those, like, any period piece from a certain time, 50s, 60s, it's like, before the man comes home from work, the women, like, put their lipstick on, put the blush on, like, get ready, look good. I'm like, okay, well, I'm glad we graduated from that. Because I do not. Like, if someone's about to walk through my door, I'm, like, still in sweats, hair and a butt. hair in a bun. I'm like, hello. It is a...
Starting point is 01:03:30 It's so dumb, and I'm going to say that it's... It's a trick here. It's a tricky for me to talk about this because I like it, but I don't think it's fair. You have to shave your armpits. Oh. Oh, I'm okay with that. Laser hair... Well, I did ideal image, so.
Starting point is 01:03:45 I know, but I'm telling you just the expectation that we get to grow the hair out in our arms and our legs because, manly, and you guys are expected to shave your legs or your armpits because some dude 300 years ago went, no, we'd like our women fully shamed. Sarah Wilbur. Sarah Wilbur, suck, man. Let's go back to Nottingham or whatever and cancel his age.
Starting point is 01:04:05 We're just making people up now. But listen, in 1883, the daughter, Tim McGrath's daughter. I thought you were really telling us in 1883. I thought Amy's going to drop some historical knowledge on us here. Wow. Well, I don't know. You just said 300 years, but I was like, well, in just a few short years ago in 1883,
Starting point is 01:04:24 the daughter, like they're doing a scene and obviously they're trying to depict it accurately and she's in this tent with her brother and she has on a dress and she lifts up her arms and I guess for her character role she had to grow out her underarm hair and there all was
Starting point is 01:04:40 and I was like oh okay I guess that's how it was it was normal we've just said that's normal everybody gets to grow hair on their head exactly it was normal so there was nothing shocking but of course seeing that on the screen instantly I was shocked where if I'm somewhere and I see it and I shouldn't be. I shouldn't be if a woman doesn't want
Starting point is 01:04:56 to shave, she does not have to. But like, I've been at yoga before and a woman will lift up her arms and I'm like, oh, well, that's interesting. But I hate that it's even a thought. I don't go, that's interesting. I'm like, bleh. But that being said, I hate that I, that's my whole point. That's my point. Right, we should have no reaction. I don't, I don't like it, but I've been taught
Starting point is 01:05:12 not to like it and it's unfair that I don't like it. Yeah. Because in a different world, a parallel universe, someone could have said women cannot grow hair on their head. And any girl with hair on her head, we'd have been like, it's only because a human told us that. It's wild. 1920s.
Starting point is 01:05:26 In the 1920s, sleeveless women dresses were increasingly becoming popular. Fashion was the first instance that made women begin shaving their underarm hair, thus removing hair as a priority. Yeah, we should go back
Starting point is 01:05:37 and cancel that person too. That doesn't seem like a Sir Ed Wilmington guy. So Wilbur. Yeah, whoever that guy is. Anyway, dudes, if you think women wear makeup to trick you, you're mostly wrong. Mostly, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:48 There's one woman on TikTok. She looks like a Popeye to Sailor Man, and then she puts makeup on and she looks like a Kardashian. Really? And that's her joke. It's like, look at this. I can put this on.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Because she can, like, contour and do all the things. It's like two different people. Yeah. And for all the kids out there, Popeye the Sailor Man with a cartoon. That's right. And we hear I'm Papa the Sailor Man. I mean, you want to talk about what's tricking people is it's filters.
Starting point is 01:06:13 Oh, yeah. Those things are bonkers. Yeah. Even me. You're a big filtering, though. Yeah, you use filters. No, I don't often. You don't use coconut filter.
Starting point is 01:06:20 With Ray. When I'm with Ray. Uh, only when I make a video with Ray, I do a coconut filter, and I say it. I'm like, I'm using coconut filter right now with Ray. You can see it there. I'm not above filters. I like them. I think they can be fun. And I've, you know, swiping to Paris, normal. And then if you swipe one, Paris will smooth your skin out. And I've been trying not to do that one. Because then I get confused as to what my skin actually looks like. And obviously, you can try to get good lighting and not use a filter. But some of them are so
Starting point is 01:06:52 deceiving. My nose, I put one on the other day just for fun with my daughter and my nose. It's like I got a nose job. And it was from a filter. It's crazy. I had to use a few filters. Because if you see someone only as a filter for a long time, you start to think that's what they look like. And I'd use this filter a few times. Then I went out and this woman stopped me. I was like, wait, you don't look like your filter. I was like, what do you mean? She goes, where are the dog ears? Even that one, though, will smooth out your skin. Where's your elephant trunk?
Starting point is 01:07:18 Where's that tongue that comes out? I don't even think about filters. I mean, I'm, unless it's a funny, like, froghead, maybe one out of every 20 times, am I even doing one of those? Most dudes just don't think about putting a filter on. Again, different pressures for women. Well, that one I would say, though, is a woman created. Sure.
Starting point is 01:07:40 Still, it's there. I wish it had like a muscle one that didn't look like fake muscles, but the filter would just swell you a little bit. I wish there was one that had hair, you know, just add a little bit. They do have a little bit of those. And they have bald ones too. If I did it though, that looks so fake. Can you imagine? All the hair? All of a sudden Eddie has a lot of hair.
Starting point is 01:07:57 I wish there was like a cane brown filter that I put it on and I'm just like a little more swall. Not so ripped I don't know. He's getting pretty ripped. Yeah, he is getting pretty ripped. Dang, maybe that's not a good one. Who's just kind of swall that you don't expect? Granger Smith? Granger. But he's ripped too
Starting point is 01:08:11 when he takes a shirt off, but he's a thin guy. So I would go with the Granger filter where I look a little more swollen on my shirt, but you're like, Huh, is that real or not? I don't want too much, but just a little. Alright, you guys call us if you want. I do have a bunch of calls to get to. Let me grab one real quick.
Starting point is 01:08:32 You guys are on the phone, so I don't mind running over a little bit. Hey, Ray, drop that song. That's pretty crappy song anyway. Okay, here we go. We know which one that one is. No, you don't. I'm just kidding. Hey, name which one you think it is.
Starting point is 01:08:44 No, I'm not. I do want to go over and take Heidi, who is on the phone in Austin. Heidi, it's Bobby. How are you? Hey, Bobby. Morning studio. Morning. See you 100%, Bobby. Let me take you off the Bluetooth. I apologize.
Starting point is 01:09:02 Yeah, you're good. I agree with you 100%. I never, ever wear makeup, ever. Oh, good for you. I'm glad you made that decision. Yeah, and my boyfriend, when I do put makeup on, it's crazy because he's like, okay, what's the big occasion where are we going? like I have makeup from like 10 years ago that I have not touched just you know if I do put mascara on I have to actually go buy a whole brand new
Starting point is 01:09:32 bottle or whatever they are a little tent thing of it and in a perfect world that would be the case the perfect world would be compared to makeup to a fancy dress like when you don't wear it when you don't wear a fancy dress people don't like where's your fancy dress when you do wear you like oh wow there's a big occasion like that would be the perfect world you get to put makeup on for big occasions. You're not expected to, just like you're not expected to wear a fancy dress when you go to work. Yeah. At 2 p.m. When you go meet kids' parents. Like fancy dress and makeup, tuxedo and makeup. Let's just all the guys in there too, because I'm telling you it does make it
Starting point is 01:10:06 look better. There's a reason they make us put it on on TV. That should be the makeup standard when you want to because you want to feel, not because you're supposed to. You know me. Not big on tradition unless it actually enriches a life. And so I think that's the case. I'm not going to change culture, but that's how I feel about culture. All right, Heidi, anything else you'd like to say? Because I really appreciate that call. No, no problem.
Starting point is 01:10:30 I just, I feel pretty all the time, and I don't care what other people think about me, and I feel that other women should feel the same way. But, Bobby, I love y'all. I've been listening to y'all since y'all we're here in Austin. Well, thank you very much. And we appreciate you. I hope you have an awesome rest of your Wednesday. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:10:46 you guys do the same. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. There was an old man trying to get off the bus in Philadelphia. Oh, Sonny, I don't know if I'm going to make it down the stairs. When three boys jumped into action, they got his walker, helped him down the bus, and a bystander started filming it. He was like, man, those kids did that and no one noticed.
Starting point is 01:11:10 So he walked up and paid each kid for helping the old man. Oh, somebody that just saw it went up and giving money. Yeah, gave money out their own pocket. Yeah, good for him. He'd have to do that. And here's a clip of him saying why he gave the money. Don't stop doing that, you hear me? Don't stop doing that.
Starting point is 01:11:27 Keep doing that. When you see somebody who needs help, always help him. And then God won't keep that's a y'all. All right? Be safe. Oh, wow, little kids. Oh, yeah, yeah, little kids. I didn't think they were like 20-year-olds.
Starting point is 01:11:38 I'm talking little kids. And grandpa got off the bus okay. Yeah, that's good. Those little kids did that. because they wanted to help him. Also, then the guy went viral. This guy went viral. Yeah, so he's probably making money off his video, huh?
Starting point is 01:11:52 No, I was not saying that. That's a great story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Hey, thank you guys for hanging out with us. Let's go over now and catch up on the news. Bobby's Big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:12:08 A mom is handcuffed and jailed for letting their 14-year-old babysit kids. So that's the headline. When COVID-19 shut down her kids' daycare in May of 2020, and Melissa Henderson had to go to work, she asked her 14-year-old daughter, Lindley, to babysit the four younger siblings. It was about 10 or 15 minutes before Lindley realized her 4-year-old brother was missing.
Starting point is 01:12:31 She guessed that he must be at a friend's house and went to get him. In the meantime, the friend's mom had called police. Now Henderson, a single mom, is facing criminal reckless conduct charges for letting her 14-year-old babysit. the case has been dragging off for almost two years now, while Henderson's lawyer argues that charging a mom for a normal parenting decision was declared unconstitutional. And I believe in this story, too, you know, the four-year-old went missing.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Police had to be called by the neighbor. They found the kid, but it was letting a 14-year-old watch kids so young. I mean, here's the thing. If the kids hadn't been lost, this wouldn't be illegal. And I'm sure there's been times where, obviously, she's probably watched them. And I have a daughter that's 14 and I would be able to leave her with the bunch of children. Now, I say that because she grew up in an orphanage and took care of babies daily there so I know she could handle it. But every 14 year old is different.
Starting point is 01:13:25 But I feel like 14 year olds are babysit. Like I babysat kids when I was 14. Like people paid me money. Here's my problem with this is that it shouldn't be illegal just because something went wrong. Yeah. Like if the 14 year old is legal to babysit. sit the kids, then the 14-year-old messed up, and that doesn't
Starting point is 01:13:44 make it illegal because she messed up. Right, an adult could have, the four-year-old could have gone missing with an adult. Maybe a bad decision based on the 14-year-old, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know either. But if you wouldn't arrest the mom for letting the 14-year-old babysit the kids if everything goes right, then she gets arrested if everything goes wrong. But is there a law? I don't think... Yeah, is there even a law for this? I looked
Starting point is 01:14:05 it up and I did not see a law for this, so I don't know. But obviously, not in the house and don't know exactly what happened. Eddie, your son is... 14. Which, do you ever... No way, Jose? You wouldn't leave him to watch the... He's not ready.
Starting point is 01:14:18 At 14? He's not ready. And I think that... At 14, I had a mortgage. I know. And I think that he would probably be the ringleader to get in trouble. Like, he would probably say, hey, let's all go to the convenience store. I'll lead the way.
Starting point is 01:14:29 I'll drive. So, no, I don't trust him yet. Yeah, I mean, I guess it's case by case. For sure. That's a crappy story. And she was clearly desperate, so... It wasn't like, she was like, I'm going to go to the bar. Right. Lindley, watch the rest.
Starting point is 01:14:43 She had to work. Yeah, that is unfortunate. That's from reason.com. A now retired nun in former Catholic elementary school principal admitted a stealing more than $835,000 in school funds for gambling trips. Oh, no. And personal expenses was sentenced Monday to 12 months and a day in federal prison. One day? 12 in a day. Yeah, Margaret Kruper, 80 years old, was ordered to pay $825,000, $825,000.
Starting point is 01:15:08 I think. I don't want to get that back. In July 2021, she pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and one count of money laundering. But I wonder what happened there. Say, listen, some of these old people were like, ah, how cute is that? She's old. She's probably a good person.
Starting point is 01:15:25 That's how they get you. Yeah. They trick you into thinking that. Yeah, she's a nun. Listen, I told you guys, my grandma, quite the gambler. taught me how to gamble. And we would go bingo three times a week. Elks Lodge.
Starting point is 01:15:37 Moose Lodge. any lodge. There's a lodge. We were gambling. We were playing bingo. Benedictine Manor. I don't even know what the places are nowadays, but we used to go. And then they shut down bingo in Arkansas. They were like, nuts gambling. So she went and she got a van, and she put all the old ladies in the back of the van. They drove around Hot Springs, Arkansas, and they played bingo and they gambled in the back of the band. And then they arrested her. And then there's a picture of her with her middle fingers or the camera getting her mug shot. Stop it. No, that part I made up. But the rest of them is true. The rest of it's true You had me, dude No, but she was She was a tough one
Starting point is 01:16:12 She's a tough old lady Well, how did they determine Like, bingo's a fun game You're gambling though You're paying money To get cards You pay like a buck a card That someone goes up
Starting point is 01:16:22 B12 Bingo well then someone wins All that money So you're gambling It's not a game of skill It's a game of luck All right, yeah So this nun stole
Starting point is 01:16:30 Almost a million bucks I wonder what kind of trip she was like Does she go and just hit blackjack You know is she at the roulette table? Yeah, what does she play? Does she wear her outfit? I doubt that. I doubt that.
Starting point is 01:16:44 When Amy thinks only one day in federal prison in so bad, so. Yeah. You said one day. Amy, you should do it. A year and a day. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah, 12 months in a day. Didn't I say 12 months in a day?
Starting point is 01:16:57 These people just don't understand what that means. No. Thank you. I think I said 12 months. You want to bet on it? Okay, no, I don't want to bet it. I'm trying to bet now. The story's got me itching to bet.
Starting point is 01:17:05 No, no, I don't. A 56-year-old guy I spent the last 14 months of his life in isolation Testing positive for COVID-19, no less than 78 times. He's from Turkey, but if you're positive, you're positive. And he can't shake it. He's still positive.
Starting point is 01:17:20 He's been in isolation for 14 months. That's awful. Or to me, that would be a dream. No, but a dream for a little bit, but then at some point, it's very depressing. Give me my PlayStation 5, my dog, and my wife.
Starting point is 01:17:35 And we're all good. Is she all good with that? I'm not checking with her. She's helping. I got COVID. Okay. That's from AuditieCentral.com. And then finally, a North Carolina man wins $110,000 using his kids' birthdays to play the lottery.
Starting point is 01:17:51 Lewis Payne 77 said his ticket he bought February 1st was a set of numbers adapted from his children's birthdays. He was shocked to discover he won $110,000 from UPI. That is a great story. And that, that's the news. Bobby's big. Stories. Let's go over to V, who is listening in Ohio. V, what's going on?
Starting point is 01:18:13 It's Bobby. How are you? Hi, Bobby. Morning studio. Morning. I was a couple of days behind, so I'm listening to the podcast, and I heard you all pledging for the Children's Hospital. So I was calling to see who made good on their pledges.
Starting point is 01:18:34 and I thought if you haven't made good on it yet, you should be put on the wheel for something. So we had a caller on who was raising money. They did a personal tell me something good. Yesterday maybe even. Yesterday even. Yeah, yesterday even. Yeah, yesterday the day before. And so we were like, yeah, we'll help out.
Starting point is 01:18:51 So we just put our own money up too. I paid, Amy. Paid. Yeah. Eddie? I'm about to pay. Oh. Right now.
Starting point is 01:18:58 Right now. I mean, because we just got like the... That's not true. We got it. Yeah. You got it. What two days ago, I think. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:05 Morgan. I've paid. Ray, did you pledge anything? Yeah, I did a smaller amount, but I have paid already. He's laughing. How much did you? $5. Hey, good for you, buddy.
Starting point is 01:19:16 Yeah. He's following through. Everybody's got lunchbox? No, I haven't been there yet. I haven't been there yet. What even I haven't been there yet? I mean, that link, I mean, I just looked at the link. I was like, I don't know about that.
Starting point is 01:19:29 It's a Venmo. Yeah. You can go to your Venmo and type in their name. Okay, I'll get on that Mike, everybody good All right So most of us have Lunchbox hasn't
Starting point is 01:19:39 And Eddie hasn't I'm about to right now though Yeah, yeah I was about That was what I was gonna do When we went to song I was like man I'm gonna pay that That's what I was thinking about Well I'm glad you brought it up V
Starting point is 01:19:51 Thank you Yeah I've just been feeling for a while Like the wheel Should be more Hunger game style Instead of just everyone Getting put on the wheel
Starting point is 01:20:01 It should be like Hey You didn't do something or, you know, when you give someone a yellow card during a game and their mic gets turned off, like, that would be an example. Put them on the wheel. Put them on the wheel and then if it lands on you, you die. We just go far.
Starting point is 01:20:14 Yeah, we go all the way. Has V paid yet? Yeah, as V? V, how much did you pledge? She didn't know the address. And she didn't talk to the lady. Looks like V's on the wheel. Sorry, V.
Starting point is 01:20:26 Here's the idea for the next wheel. For anyone who hasn't paid by the end of the hour. In an hour. Anyone who hasn't paid we put on the wheel. And then I have hands full of two bears. If it lands on you, you got to pick one of the hands of berries to eat. One are poisonous and one are from the grocery store. All right, B, thank you.
Starting point is 01:20:46 Absolutely. Have a good one. Do we close the news right or no? Yep. Close it again for me. Just about feel good. Bobby's Big. Stories.

A new poll reveals the best and worst ways to propose. Half of people say that the best time to propose is during a romantic dinner.
Starting point is 01:22:52 Other good times are during a holiday, on vacation, or during a concert. That's one, two, three, and four. the worst text phone call at a fast food restaurant or at their parents' house so that's best and worst and I saw this
Starting point is 01:23:12 and I thought I bet you our listeners have some pretty great stories and let's go to Renee in Indiana who's on the phone right now Renee thank you for calling what's going on hi morning Steveo
Starting point is 01:23:23 morning well it wasn't the worst way to propose but you just didn't put a lot of thought to it. He put the ringbox on the dash of his truck and said it's yours if you want it. What? What is going in someone's mind? I've heard romance. Wow. That's like a movie. Like a few grants not starring in that in the next three years. And so what did you say? Well, granted, we had just found out I was pregnant. And I was 19. He was 20. And
Starting point is 01:23:59 we were only dating for like well we got married six months or six months after we were dating so it was a rushed thing but I mean I said yes of course we've been married for 33 years now and all that's great and the story around it
Starting point is 01:24:22 I understand all the circumstances but you know what taking you to a park and just getting on a knee and saying hey will you marry me that ain't that hard to do Hey, is that box? Look in it if you like it. All right. It's yours.
Starting point is 01:24:35 If you want it. He was 20. That's awesome, though. I appreciate you telling that story, and I love that it's worked out, and I love that you're probably happily married, and you're a goal for everybody that wants to be happily married, you know?
Starting point is 01:24:47 Yes. And like I said, he just wasn't that kind of a romantic guy, but it's all worked out, and I love him to death. That's awesome. Well, thank you for sharing that, Renee. I hope you have a great day.
Starting point is 01:24:56 Thanks, bye. All right, see you later. Here's another Renee, in Arkansas. Renee, you're on the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on? Good morning, Bobby. Good morning in the studio.
Starting point is 01:25:04 Morning. So my husband and I have been married 35 years, and so it did work out, but he too put, we were in a truck, and he did think he put some thought into it. He put the ring down in his sock. And so as we were driving, we came to a stop, and he threw his leg up on the dash, and he said, hey, babe, look in that sock and see what you find. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Oh, no. And I said, what? I'm digging in your sock? Yeah, get in my sock and see what you find. I kind of anticipated a proposal that threw me off. It's like, what is in your sock? And it was a ring.
Starting point is 01:25:53 Did he have it on like a pinky toe? Because that'd have been funny. It was like on it already? No. really just in the top of that that tube sock it's just hidden down in there just dig in there and get that ring how long have you been married Renee
Starting point is 01:26:06 and he was incredibly proud of himself 35 years that's awesome what's what's the secret give me the secret to success here he's my best friend he is my best friend all right make a note here the best friend and then we're good
Starting point is 01:26:22 all right I'm ready to go 34 and a half more years Renee thank you Have a great day. Have a great day. All right, bye-bye. Over to Karen in North Dakota.
Starting point is 01:26:34 Karen, you're on the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on? Hi, good morning, studio. Morning. So my husband, we've been married almost 26 years, but we had been living together about four years, and we were shopping and Best Buy, and we were walking, and he said, let's just go check out the rings. And I said, well, why?
Starting point is 01:26:56 And he said, because we should probably get married. Oh. That was it. Now, it's probably a wonderful, most loving story if it's in like a rings shot. Like in the movies or like at Tiffany's and the guys like, let's just boom with all the lights come on. You know, but he was in an electronic store, so probably. I didn't even know they had rings at Best Buy. They don't either.
Starting point is 01:27:15 I don't know. They have screens on them. Maybe. It's a ring with a tiny little screen. Or maybe one of those Quora's. They had rings at Best Buy. That's a great point. Was Best Buy selling different things back then?
Starting point is 01:27:28 they must have been because they definitely had rings Wow and you've been married We didn't get it we didn't get a ring from there But that's where we that's where I got proposed to basically So you got proposed to without a ring? So but then what? No he didn't even have a ring Right so he that Look at him because we should probably get married
Starting point is 01:27:47 And then when did the ring come? I ended up getting my ring I ended up getting the ring from his mother who was passed on So the ring means much more The best by ring, but the proposal will always be a best by proposal. Nice. Well, thank you for the story. I hope you have an awesome day.
Starting point is 01:28:05 Can I tell you something really quick? Would love to hear it. What's going on? My granddaughter is 10, and she's in the car. We listen every single morning on the way to school, and she did tell me this morning when I was trying to call. She said, what is the point of Bobby telling everybody to call if you can't even get through? Because we were getting a busy signal the whole time to school. But I did get through, so I thought that was pretty funny.
Starting point is 01:28:26 Yeah. Is she there with you now? Can I talk to her? She is. Her name is Aubrey. Say hi, Aubrey. How's it going? It's Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 01:28:33 Guess what? She got through. Say yay. Say hi. You can say hi. It's all right. She's being shot. Hey, well, thank you for listening, and we appreciate you calling, and I'm happy to hear your marriage is long and strong.
Starting point is 01:28:49 Yep, long and strong. All right. All right. Also, my nickname in college. Okay. I knew I knew I already had that in my head. I was like, he's about to say. I came in college.
Starting point is 01:28:58 Why you guys have been haters this morning? Thank you for the calls. Ray, you want to do more of these or you want to just punt on to calls? You'll move on to another subject. I'm giving you the keys of the castle today. We can move on to another segment. Steve's smarter than me. I want Ray's opinion.
Starting point is 01:29:14 No more calls because that seemed like a good book in. You're going to stress them out, Buzz. Who? Ray. Ray, he gets stressed out. Ray, I was asking you, I was giving you the authority to say, do we want to do another segment or not? I know, but Steve's the executive. No, I know, but it's time for you to have a little bit of say so, too.
Starting point is 01:29:30 Like, make decisions. He's going to text his wife and ask her. That's what he does. Oh, Eddie. Ray, does your wife make all the decisions in your house? She makes a lot of them. Ray can't handle that pressure. Are you not a pressure guy?
Starting point is 01:29:45 Are you not a guy that wants to be, you know, the guy that's pulling the strings, making the decisions? I mean, I deal with pressure, but, I mean, if I can defer to somebody else, I do. Why not? Got it. Big defer guy, are you? Does anybody else notice that Ray's skin is glowing today? I'm assuming, he's shiny.
Starting point is 01:30:05 I don't know if glowing is the word, but shiny is the word. Thank you. Why? I mean, I got this spray. It's like a toner. Yeah, it's like wet. I think that's what it is. He just like wet.
Starting point is 01:30:13 He sprays his face. He mists himself. Ray's got products galore in there. It's either products or supplements when you walk into that little room. Ray's our audio guy, by the way, who runs all the sounds here on the show. Ray, you can drop that song. Okay. He also drops songs.
Starting point is 01:30:28 He also does drop songs. That was a good one, though. We just ran out of time. It was. That was a good one, yeah. Maybe we'll play in the next one. All right, let's play this voicemail from last night. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:30:49 That's true. I hosted the Grand Ole Opry last night. It was great. They were all right on with each other, though. That's cool. Yeah, it was pretty good. All right, here is another one. Hey, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:30:57 I just wanted to call and congratulate you and your razor backs for a good win last night. I'm a huge Auburn fan. I really had a hard time turned on your show this morning because I know how big of a razor-back fan you are, and I'm such a sore loser. But anyways, I just wanted to call and say, I appreciate everything you guys do. I love listening to your show.
Starting point is 01:31:14 And congratulations on the big W. Thank you. It was tough. I didn't go to sleep until, like, 1 o'clock this morning. And Kail was like, why are you asleep? And I was like, I'm still on adrenaline. She's like, but you didn't play. You kind of do that.
Starting point is 01:31:28 I was like, I don't know. I get really into it. Last night was a crazy night because I hosted the Grand Ole Opry, and the game started at 6, and I had to be there at seven. So I watch, and I time it. I leave it halftime. I get there and I'm watching on my phone.
Starting point is 01:31:42 On my Instagram, you'll see a picture of me at the Opry, backstage in my dressing room watching the game on my phone. And so I walk out and Luke comes is on and I'm talking with Luke. And I'm like, I got to go watch the end of this game. And so I was side stage in Arkansas won an overtime. It was just berserk. And so. You had to tell Luke leave me alone.
Starting point is 01:32:00 I'm watching the game? I don't know if leave me alone was that, but I was like, but it was good to catch up with Luke Combs last night. You know, we just do so many things work together that we rarely get to sit down and talk, but I talk with him for a little bit. But two things I love, the Grand Alopry and Arkansas beat the number one team of the country last night. And I couldn't sleep.
Starting point is 01:32:15 My heart was doing this all night. I feel like the picture you posted, the first one, you know, not of you watching. Like, you were smiling. Like, I could see the joy in your face from the win. It's on your face. And I talked to Caitlin, and I don't know if she even listens after a while. Because I'm like, I only truly get happy. I said, there are tears.
Starting point is 01:32:32 Our wedding day, tier one. I said, and I think eventually our kid will be there too when we have a kid. I said, that's tier one. But tier two, I would put things like when Arkansas wins a big game or me winning, dancing with the stars, because it's just a lot of work going into something,
Starting point is 01:32:47 but you're like, you didn't work for the game, you didn't play. I was like, I don't know, it feels like it. There's a big night. I didn't go to sleep. But that's when I get the most upset and the most happy, like generally. I don't know why I have so much in my heart
Starting point is 01:32:58 and soul invested into that team, but I do. So did that last night. It was a great night. What'd you do? My son and I went and got cookies randomly after Jiu-Jitsu. He has Jiu-Jitsu at night. So I go pick him up and then we went to Crumble where they have this big warm cookies. And then we went home and ate dinner.
Starting point is 01:33:17 And then I feel like after that it's like, okay, get ready for bed, go to bed, read, do all the things. I was talking to Stevenson last night, Amy's son, he FaceTime me. And I was like, hey, what do you want a kimono? He was like, no, it's a ge. And I was like, sorry. He corrected you. He's wearing his karate uniform. Yeah, his jiu-jitsu.
Starting point is 01:33:36 Jiu-Jitsu uniform. I was like, hey, it's a cool kimono. He goes, it's a geek. I was like, sorry about that. But he loves it, huh? Oh, yeah. We go every single day. He's allowed to go six days a week, and he goes six days a week.
Starting point is 01:33:49 We've talked about that on the show, right? Yeah. Okay. We talked about when he signed up, but I don't know that we've talked about it. I'm not out of place for mentioning. And he likes it? Is he punching people? No, but it's more, not like punching, but it's like rolling around.
Starting point is 01:34:02 rolling around on the ground. Is it discipline? Are they doing, is it heavy discipline right now? I mean, I feel like they teach respect and, you know. Can they do that on this show? Because I feel like some of you guys need little jiu-jitsu then.
Starting point is 01:34:14 I'm looking at them. Why don't you look at me? He's just still such a beginner, though. I feel like he's learning some of the flow. To me, it just looks like they're rolling around on the ground in a choreographed way. Six days a week. That's intense. Good for him, though, to find something he likes.
Starting point is 01:34:28 I'm here for it. He has jiu-jitsu. I have John Madden football. Yeah, same thing. But nobody calls it. John Madden anymore. It's a funny thing. It's Madden, dude.
Starting point is 01:34:35 Here you go. These are the most popular shows right now. So which would you be more inclined to start? I'll give you some of them. Reacher is out right now. Season 1 in Amazon, 82% positive. Jack Reacher, a veteran military police investigator, has recently entered civilian life
Starting point is 01:34:50 in which he has falsely accused of murder. That looks pretty good. 82, well, 93% now it's up. Is this part of the other Jack Reachers? I think it's the similar character, but I don't think it's the same. Okay. It wasn't Tom Cruise, the other Jack Reacher?
Starting point is 01:35:05 Like the movie Jack Reacher? Yeah? The next one. Euphoria. I don't watch Euphoria. Does anyone watch Euphoria on the show? Mike, you do? Is it good?
Starting point is 01:35:15 I feel like it's too young for me. I like it a lot, but I wouldn't recommend it. One of those, huh? Yeah, it's a pretty heavy show. Very heavy. Dark. Speaking of that, we went, speaking of dark, we went, Caitlin and I drove down to the church in the HBO.
Starting point is 01:35:29 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I did too. I drove by it the other day. Oh, the way down? Yeah, the remnant church. There's a docu series on HBO called The Way Down. It's about how she started a church based on, hey, the more weight you lose, the closer yard of God.
Starting point is 01:35:42 And then she died supposedly. Amy came on the air saying some stuff and then NPR proved her wrong. Really a great moment in show. I was like, we are not quotable. Checkers. When NPR fact checks you, I LOL'd. I think it was at Christmas. That's the worst.
Starting point is 01:36:00 Or Costa Rica or something. And somebody sent me the article of, hey, NPR just fact-checked Amy and said she was completely wrong. Yeah. I laughed out loud. I just said what I heard from some people that live in town. And then Eddie also said some stuff. And they didn't fact-check him by name. So then it looks like I said that as well.
Starting point is 01:36:18 Do you think that woman's still alive? I don't know. Well, careful, though. I said think. Do you think that woman is still alive? I don't comment on these matters because NPR is going to fact-check me. I still don't know, though, even though, the NPR article. says that the coroner's office has identified bodies, but I don't know.
Starting point is 01:36:36 We drove down by that church that is very cult feeling. Can you see it? You can't see it, but it's got its own long driveway. Like, you can't just drive on the road right by it. You got to drive down the driveway. But Ray drove up to it and then a car followed them out of there. Yeah, and I touched the door handle too. I thought I was going to get on fire.
Starting point is 01:36:53 What does that mean? I don't know. There's been a lot of stuff said about that place. Yeah. You touch the door handle, you catch on fire there? Satan, dude. That's weird. Peacemaker on HBO Max gets a 96%. That's John Cena as the character
Starting point is 01:37:08 from the Suicide Squad. There's something called Raised by Wolves on HBO. Anybody watch that? 100%. Two androids are tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. Oh, this is right at my album. That sounds terrible. I love time travel. I love
Starting point is 01:37:23 apocalypse. Two of those at the same time, I'll watch it. And this is nothing like that, I don't think. But it's a the world with a time machine? I love the end of the world. Interesting. Because I think I would be so good at the end of the world. If the end of the world happened, I would have my own colony. I would just lead us all.
Starting point is 01:37:42 Yeah, you'd be the leader. I'd really have a good... I'd really be a good apocalypse. I'm good with guns. People don't expect it. I'm good with fighting. No, where would you go? Fighting? Where would you go in the landscape? I'd pick the best people to fight for me. Okay. Yeah. Would you go to mountains, ocean? Where would you go?
Starting point is 01:38:01 Wherever I am, man. You can't survive anywhere. Woods. I go into woods. I go back to Arkansas and run my people. We know exactly where you are. Mountain Pine, there is. I'm at the water tower on Mountain Pine.
Starting point is 01:38:14 There's like a one square mile radius I'm the mayor of. We knew we'd find you here. The book of Boba Fett on Disney Plus. I'm watching that? I am. You are Morgan? Yeah, and it's really good. I don't even know what Boba Fett is.
Starting point is 01:38:25 I don't even is the big fat thing. No, no, that's the job of the hut. Oh, I get Boba Fatt. I thought so too. Yeah, I thought that was Boba Fatt. No, I literally, I've never watched Star Wars. Boba Fett. I thought that was Boba Fatt, and then that's why he's named after Bobafat.
Starting point is 01:38:40 So this is a Star Wars thing? Yes. And then there's something called All of Us Are Dead on Netflix. What's that about? Trapped students must escape their high school, which has become ground zero for a zombie virus outbreak. This is you. I'm getting turned on, just reading it. I love a show like that.
Starting point is 01:38:56 All right, those are shows you can check out. They have really high ratings. All right, grab a couple calls real quick. This is Devin in Massachusetts who is on the phone. Devin, you're on the show. What's going on? Hi, how are you guys? Pretty good.
Starting point is 01:39:09 Tell me a story. So my husband requested I call in our proposal story because it's probably something he'll never live down. So I love animals and he brought me to an aquarium that has rehabilitated animals and animals that are handicapped in the aquarium. And he got a diver to propose in a tank. but to kind of throw me off and not realize it was a proposal, the woman said to meet at a certain place at a certain time to meet the penguin, because that was what we were doing there. So when we actually got there, the time came,
Starting point is 01:39:42 and there was a sea turtle in a wheelchair, in a tank, and he kept trying to drag me to this other tank where the diver had the little notes for the proposal. And I kept telling them not going over that tank. That's not where we're even supposed to be, and this turtle has a wheelchair. we need to just look at this because it was the best thing I've ever seen. So pretty much the rest of the aquarium was reading my proposal
Starting point is 01:40:05 with a diver in a tank while I was staring at a turtle in a wheelchair. Yeah, I'm with you. I wouldn't have left that sea turtle lie there. A turtle in a wheelchair? Crazy. How often are you going to see that in your whole life? People can propose to every day. How often you see a turtle in a wheelchair?
Starting point is 01:40:18 Yeah, I agree. Hey, that's a funny story. And Devin, you went over, though, finally and saw it, right? Obviously. Yeah. Yeah. And then were you like, oh, I should have come over and let the turtle in the chair? Yeah, I had no idea it was even happening, and then the other people were reading it looking for Devin who was getting proposed to.
Starting point is 01:40:34 So it kind of, it added up. That's funny. Well, thank you for sharing that with us. Hope you have an awesome day. Thank you, guys. All right, one more call, Marshall. And Marshall, you're on the air. Hello.
Starting point is 01:40:46 Good morning, Bobby. In the studio, how are you all doing? We're doing pretty good, man. Tell me your story. Well, I thought it would be really cool to call in to the radio show where my friend worked as a DJ. do this, you know, call in, you're the ninth caller, you'll win, and they didn't say exactly what. They just kept taking calls until she actually called. And I wound up proposing to her on the air, which that was really a cool part of it.
Starting point is 01:41:17 But she got mad at me because so many girls called in with the same first name as her. and even 28 years later we get into a little spat she'll always tease me and say you know you should have taken one of those other girls that called in wait were you at the radio station were you with your buddy on the line
Starting point is 01:41:37 or on the line? Oh on the line were you in the studio or on the line yeah I was on the line okay with my buddy that was the DJ oh that's pretty cool what well I don't know if that's pretty cool I don't know if that's pretty cool I think Matt I mean it means he got his he just proposed on the air
Starting point is 01:41:53 Like she called thinking she's trying to win a contest When she gets on the phone Like oh did I win It's him going hey Oh me No so yeah I think it's pretty good over the phone You guys give me a hard time about my over the phone That's over the phone it's good
Starting point is 01:42:04 Hey so she said yes on the air Was it on the air or just Yes yes it was on the air That's pretty cool Yeah What radio station was that Actually kicks Oh
Starting point is 01:42:16 Country station Who is the DJ You know what It's been so dang long ago They're not friends I thought it was your friend. He was my friend at the time, but he's moved away, and he DJs out in California now. So you know where he DJs.
Starting point is 01:42:33 But you don't know his name anymore? No, we totally got to where we're, you know, we don't even communicate or anything. He went on with his life, and I went on with my life. So I probably knows his name. He just doesn't happen. Sounds like they got to fight. Wow. Yeah, the second I hang up with y'all, it'll pop into my head.
Starting point is 01:42:49 They probably didn't play his request one time. Oh. Mm-hmm. You wanted to hear Garth. He wanted friends in low places because the guy said, I'm playing the river, and that's it. All right. Hey, thank you. Have a great day, Marshall. You guys too. All right, appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:43:04 Lobby and bone show. Boney up the day. This story comes with us from North Dakota. A 50-year-old woman was out to brunch over the weekend having a few drinks when she's walking down the street. She sees a cop in uniform. And she loves a man in uniform, walks up behind him, and pop smacks him. the butt. Can't do that.
Starting point is 01:43:25 And the cop said, it caused pain, so he placed her under arrest. What? It caused pain. You can't slap a cop on the butt. Okay. If a guy did that to a girl. I know, I know. Jail time.
Starting point is 01:43:36 I know. You're right. It would still be sexual harassed. Yeah, you're right. Sorry. Yes. This is wrong. She's a bone head.
Starting point is 01:43:44 I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. This guy's watching the local news. His name's Randy Waits. He noticed the guy being interested. interviewed, also had the last name, Wait, spelled exactly the same. So he called his daughter over and he's like, hey, that guy looks like my dad. She was like, okay, so she started digging on the internet, mostly through social media.
Starting point is 01:44:06 Then they started to go through some old, like, registry, birth certificate stuff, and found out that was his brother. He didn't even know until I saw him on TV. Oh, my goodness. Until I saw him being interviewed. But it's weird they had the same last name, though. Yeah. Because a lot of times this happens and somebody was adopted, the name was changed. But he had the same last name.
Starting point is 01:44:20 And again, he just thought that guy looks like my dad. And then he said, well, and we have the same last name. Is it possible? So they talked on the phone. They then reunited. And now they're brothers and they hang out, which is a whole new elderly. Like you just have somebody that you hang out with. Because that's a hard thing.
Starting point is 01:44:39 Because you have a lot of people in your life that you just know. But you don't have a lot of people that you just hang out. As an adult, it's hard to make new friends that you just hang out with. So that's his new brother. Congratulations. He also did not know his dad that well. And the other brother did. and so they're able to share that experience too.
Starting point is 01:44:55 I never want to chase that down on the news. I'd have been like, hey, look at that. That's the same last name. All right. Looks like me. And I forgot about it. Moving on. Yeah, five seconds later.
