it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.

It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two.
What is up, y'all?
Welcome to the Best Bits of the Year.
year and this is just the bits. I'm Morgan. Make sure you go listen to part one of best bits of the year
because Abby and I broke down our awards for 2022. Basically our favorite moments from the year
album of the year, new artist of the year TV show, movies, food we tried, just talking about
2022 in review. So check that out. But we are going to get started in countdown the best bits of
the year on the Bobby Bone show. It was such an amazing year for people stopping by our studio. We had so
many awesome guests, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Reynolds, Joey Lugano. I mean, just the list goes on of so many
great people that came in. But one of the most engaged with interviews we had this year was with
Jelly Roll. Y'all loved him, whether you became a new fan of his or you were already a fan. The interview
was just fabulous in all kinds of ways from how genuine and authentic he was to just totally sharing
every moment of his life. You all loved this one. We loved this one. And so coming in at that number
seven spot. It's jelly roll on the
Bobby Bone Show. Number seven.
I saw that you have posted
announcement saying you're coming on the show and that
The Rock had liked it. Yes, sir.
On your Instagram. Yes. How do you know The Rock?
Dude, it's kind of weird.
So, you know, The Rock has real Nashville roots.
Like, super Nashville roots.
So he was like, I think he went to McGavoc.
So he just keeps his, like,
finger on the pulse of Nashville.
Like, he's just, like, engulfed in the culture.
And I think, like, a song of mine
randomly came up on his play. It's like the most random.
occurrence ever and somebody reached down. I was like, yo, the Rock's going to post a video
with one of your songs. I was like, please don't play with me. He was like, don't do that to me.
It was like, I swear to God, this was like four or five years, six years ago. And he sure did.
And ever since then, we stayed in touch, man, he was the first person to congratulate me
whenever I got invited to the Grand Ole Opry. And he congratulated you how?
He sent me a voice. He sends like the voice memos. That's like his thing. You know, he'll like,
You got a voice memo from the rock? Yeah, yeah, for sure. I want to play it, but I don't want to
be that guy.
Yeah.
I mean,
I listen to it every now and then to pump myself up, though.
It's like,
it's like my pre-workout before I go get drunk because I don't work out.
So right before I go to a bar,
I'll listen to like a voice memo from the rock.
I'm like,
let's go!
Jelly Rolls with us.
Let's talk about for the audience that hasn't come across your music yet or who you are.
Like, what's up with the name Jelly Roll?
So I'm obviously looked apart.
And my mother named me that whenever I was a little chubby kid.
been fat my whole life.
And she started calling me jelly roll when I was young,
and I spent the next 30 years trying to grow into the name.
I think I've done it.
And yeah, it just stuck.
And then I had a guy in high school that jokingly called me jelly roll.
He didn't know that was my house name.
And his name was one-arm clay, and you won't believe it,
but he had one-arm.
And one-arm clay was like, we should call you jelly-roll.
I'm one-arm clay and you'll be jelly-roll.
I'm one-armie-call.
And then once the high school starts calling you something,
you know, that's the kid in Caboodle.
And so when did you start doing music?
I started writing songs whenever I was like seven or eight.
In the words of Brantley Gilbert, I didn't know I could sing, but I knew I could talk fast.
So I wrote a lot of raps.
What did it for me was my mother stro.
First of all, my mother follows this show, and she only follows like six people, and I don't even think I'm one of them.
I think it's like my three aunts, some dude that she shouldn't be following that has a six-pack in the Bobby Bone show.
So if you want to put me on y'all's Instagram, that'd be fired.
We will.
We'll put you up there.
But, yeah, it just kind of just kind of came that way.
So I do want to play some of this song because it's such a good song.
This is called Son of a Sinner, and I'm going to play it for you now from Jelly Roll.
So it's kind of a different approach from you from what I've heard.
Like this is very emotional.
You're singing.
I mean, it's a country song.
Like, why create this song in this way?
Well, I had a record.
I've always wrote very cathartic music.
My mother struggled with addictions and mental health issues when I was younger.
She's a totally different woman now.
But Bobby, she would listen to music and it would change everything.
You know, she'd put old records on and smoked cigarettes and that old moo-moo and sit at the kitchen table and just white trashes could be, just singing along to Bob Seeger or Wayland Jennings.
And I just remember thinking, man, I want to make music that makes people feel like this music makes my mother feel.
You know, had my mother had help from a doctor, I might have been a surgeon and had a six-pack and been called Slim Totem or something.
But it just turned out the other way.
So I've always kind of wrote real songs for real people's been my goal.
And the country thing was just kind of me leaning into my roots.
I was born and raised right here in Nashville.
You know, it's every kid's dream in Nashville to some sort to be a country music artist.
And it just kind of happened organically.
Me and Ernest were in the studio, about as high as a hippie, about three sheets gone
and picked up a guitar and there it went.
When you played the opera, I think it was the end of last year, 2021, right?
That'd be a special moment, especially growing up here in Nashville.
Yeah, it's like not only the...
historic side of country music, but it's the side of like driving by there my whole life.
Dude, I remember the grand old opera house from the screaming Delta demon at Opryland.
That is old school Nashville talk.
Before that, Wack Mall was there, that mall sucks.
Before that mall was there, it was a theme park.
You know what I mean?
So we would watch it from the theme park, dude.
It was like, I just remember as a kid just thinking, man.
Yeah, it was just like a dream come true on all fronts.
Did your family think it was super cool that you were performing in that circle?
Oh, yeah.
Dude, my mother came. My whole family came.
It was a white trash bash, dude.
We were all there.
Everybody wore their Sunday best, man.
You should have seen it.
I bought a sports coat.
It was big, dude.
It's a big deal, man.
My daughter got dressed up.
It was huge for us.
We don't dress up like that for funerals or weddings.
It was that big of a deal.
Were you nervous?
I'm nervous now.
This whole thing is unreal.
You got a real.
I'm a kid that was spent most of his juvenile life in jail.
Dude, you are the Joe Rogan of Country Music.
I am sitting on this.
I am here.
You know what I mean?
It's like, I'm nervous of all this.
I don't want to cuss.
But yeah, this is all, my nervousness makes me want to start spouting out of the mouth.
What is it about now that, I mean, because you're, I'll just say you're kind of blowing up more mainstream than ever.
Like, what is it about this chapter of your life that is creating this for you now?
I think it's the 10-year overnight success story, right?
It's the kid that slept in a van and did 230 shows a year for $100 a show.
Dude, I used to open up for a pack of bubble.
gum and a bag of bud. You know what I mean? So it's like, I think it's just years of writing
a thousand songs and thousands of songs and just kind of come in here. And I don't know,
I think it's getting the opportunity to sit in places like this and tell my story that's probably
helping the most because when you look at me, you probably don't expect to hear from me what you
hear, you know? So what is your story? I mean, if someone said, hey man, we're thinking about doing
a book with you, right? You considering it? I, well, let's hear your story. What is, and, you know,
you can tight it up a bit, but what is your story that you think inspires so many people?
I want y'all to be clear. Bobby Bones just signed me to a book publishing deal on this show, y'all.
So in a nutshell, I'm from Antioch, Tennessee. I grew up in a middle, lower class community.
My father was a hardworking meat salesman. He ran a meat company called D. Ford's Salsit, D. Ford O'Sell
Meats. It's our family name. On the side, he booked Betts. My mother struggled with addiction.
I was the youngest of four. I never controlled the radio. That's the reason that I make the kind of music I make now.
And at about the age of 14, I started making a series of decisions that would lead to what we call the revolving door of the judicial system.
And I spent probably 12 years in and out of that system, probably nine years in, three years out, you know.
The old do a year in, three months home, two years in, four months home kind of thing.
And I won't even talk about the crimes because I don't think there's no glory in them.
And I'm not proud of them, but it is a part of my story.
And it's also too many to list on this show.
But I, yeah, man, I had a Damascus Road experience in the old Baptist term.
On May 22nd, 2008, I was at CSA on Hardin Place right down the street from here.
I was in cell 223 and a guard knocked on my door and it told me that I had had a daughter.
And I knew that I had heard that I had got a young woman pregnant during one of my outs or ends, I guess, in that case.
But I had, but when I was back in jail, the baby was born.
born and I just remember thinking, man, you know, I had a good father. He was a hustler,
but he was a really good man. And I was like, I want to be a good father, you know, and I didn't,
I didn't have any skill sets. I'd never had a job. I'm still to this day not qualified to do much
more than talk to you and sing. And I was like, well, I know I can do music. So I came home and
started selling CDs off of spindles and mixed tapes out of trunks and doing shows and, you know,
selling a little bag of bud here and there when I had to, but I got away from real criminal nefarious
activities.
And yeah, it just kind of led to here.
Now I'm sitting here at the Bobby Bone show, you know,
ready to talk to lunchbox about drinking tequila.
Are you a big tequila drinker?
Oh, goodness.
Is that the drink?
Oh, boy, listen.
It's like when you blow the whistle of the dog hears him.
He's the only one in the room that hears it.
Can we, are we shooting some?
You got some?
Not this early now.
It's morning time.
It gets excited.
Oh, good morning.
I thought this was where you busted out the bottle.
Like, well, coincidentally, the rock's in a lot.
some tear of mine. I was going to be like, yes!
You have a lot of face tattoos.
I do. How many on your face?
I never counted.
If I'm guessing, well, some of them connect, right?
When you have to commit to your first face tattoo, is that a big decision?
I was too young to commit to anything when I did that for what it's worth.
What was the first one?
I think I had the cross and the tear drop at the same time when I was one of my stints on a state-funded vacation.
Oh, you had them done in prison?
Oh, yeah.
I didn't seem safe.
No, no, no, but it's the safest thing there.
you think that's not safe you should see the stuff that happens in prison in Bobby let me tell you that right there is grade A safety buddy let me tell you that that would pass the commission the CDC would approve compared to the other stuff happening in there well you have a rose up near your I do above your left eye and that connects down to what is that it's a heart with a locket and at this point you've seen it so many times it's probably just your face right well I see it backwards too so you know you got to think when you're telling me something's on I don't know what side what's on
You have one that goes down.
Bobby Bones is reading me.
Just for the eye.
You're just listening.
I'm being red right now.
I want to describe karate.
He also has one that's like a straight line going down into his left eye and it comes down below all the way down.
Yeah.
What's the word above the eyebrow?
My son Noah.
Okay.
Yep.
And this is ignorance on my part, but we've always heard that the tear drops.
Like if you have a tear drop and it's not filled in.
Well, I'm just asking.
I don't know.
Ignorance, you can teach me.
If it's not filled in, you attempted to kill someone and we're unsubed.
successful. If it's filled in, it was a success.
No comment. That's why you don't ask like question.
I'm joking. I'm joking. He goes to jail now.
I'm being facetious. Minor for the tears, we never forget we shed.
See? Powerful.
Glad I asked.
Jelly rolls in studio, which by the way, he is. Yes, yes.
Which, by the way, Dead Man Walking, number one, rock song.
As of today, I thought that's why we were shooting tequila and you muff the punt.
Son of a sinner.
Most added
Dead Man Walking
Number One on the Rock Chard
Do we have a clip of that, Ray?
Same album
Here it is
And would you consider yourself
First and foremost a hip hop artist?
No, no, no
Dude, I consider myself
a singer-songwriter
I guess I just knew you
from doing hip-hop first though
I know, ain't that crazy?
And it's you being a hip-hop artist
and then the rock stuff
and now the country stuff
but I think that's the attitude
like you're just creating
based on what you feel
Just make real music for real people
I call it therapeutic music Bobby
It's just important.
Some music's meant to be heard and some music's meant to be felt.
And I hyper-focused on making music that people can feel.
You know, it's kind of the Willie Nelson effect.
I'm a, but he wasn't big, but I'm a big jovial guy in real life, you know, kind of a hippie.
But Willie wrote the saddest songs.
And I feel like that's kind of where when I get in that studio, my wife calls it my confessional booth.
It's kind of my therapy.
Do you ever confess to something?
And she's like, I didn't know that.
No, no, dude.
We're best friends, dude.
I can't surprise that one with anything.
I wish I could surprise her.
we've lost all surprise.
She helps me find boils on my butt.
I mean, we're as close as you could be.
What?
Boils on his butt.
Like, they're so close, she'll look and find them.
Okay, got it.
Thank you.
The watch.
The watch is screaming at me.
Why, thank you.
I was hoping it would.
Is that real?
Yes, sir.
Well, no, in case somebody wants to hit me in the head later.
It depends on who's asking.
I mean, that is a watch, and it looks loaded with diamonds.
Yes, sir.
Like, that is.
My wife bought me this.
Back to her.
to my wife, Bunny. I love her to death.
And your wife's name is...
Bunny, B-U-N-N-I-E.
And is that, is it like Jelly Roll Bunny, or is her name really Bunny?
Her name's Bunny. Yeah, she was Bunny before me, so...
You ever think about changing your name officially to Jelly Roll, so it could be your legal name?
I've thought about it, but I just, I don't, you know, I don't like going, I don't like paperwork.
You probably could imagine.
Yeah, I've considered making bones my real middle name, so I can use, or if I run for office,
and I can officially use it.
When you run for office...
Can I be your running-making?
Did I get a book deal and an offer to be a running mate at one show?
I'm blown away by this, man.
This is more than I ever expected.
What are your live shows like?
Incredible.
Man, let me brag for a second.
I'm a humble guy, but man, we turn that thing upside down.
The live shows cover everything from old classic rock to hip hop to country to soul.
We do a little Motown in there.
I mean, it is an incredible show.
It's a live band, two guitars, bass, DJ to keep the old school hip-year.
hip-hop element of live and well, more of an MC than a DJ, but he'll still scratch a little bit
here and there.
Drums, we do it right, adding a steel player this year, it's going to be fire.
You're adding a steel player?
We are.
That's awesome.
We got a full-blown country album in the works, baby.
This, you know, make no mistake, it looks like a tow tap, but I'm going to do a cannonball
in the country music bubble.
I'm on the way.
I'm belly flopping.
I saw that you and Brantley are doing some shows together.
One of my favorite dudes on Earth.
So how did Brantley Gilbert?
I guess he got in touch with you and said, hey, come do some shows with me?
Yeah, he called me one night, which was like the craziest call ever.
But I kept hearing around town, hey, man, you need to meet Brantley Gilbert, man.
Y'all look like y'all get in trouble.
And I love people I get in trouble with.
And everybody kept telling him, hey, have you met Jelly Roll?
Y'all should meet.
And he finally, you know, I guess the word of traveled, he called me and said, hey, I want to do some shows next summer.
And what's crazy is I had done a podcast with my wife a couple years earlier.
And I was like, when it comes to doing shows, I think artists missed the old school approach of, like,
doing it for people and doing it for the exposure.
So I was like, this was two years ago, my wife's podcast, three years ago, I said,
if Brantley Gilbert Kid Rocker Shined Down called me, I would not even ask what the amount of money was.
I'd say, yes, I want to go on tour with them.
And I'm literally doing 30 dates with Shined Down this year and like 10 dates with Brantley Gilbert.
That's cool.
Yeah, it was just a complete manifestation.
So I'm looking at you, and you're in black, and you got the chains on and the face tattoos and the bling.
do you know we've met before?
Oh, yeah.
No, I see you.
Listen, I tried to make them turn the golf cart around and chase you.
But we've met, and I didn't want to say, I've met jelly roll playing golf before.
Yeah, I was fixing to say this is the most memory I have.
I was with Steve Hodges from Sony.
Right, and he's like playing golf on a nice course.
Yeah, yeah.
I didn't want to blow up your spot and be like, I've seen jelly roll playing at a nice golf course.
Oh, yeah.
So are you a big golfer?
Well, I'm big in golf, but I'm not a big golfer.
I'm not a good golfer, but I really enjoy anything that you can have a cocktail at 9 a.m.
and people don't judge you.
And golf is that sport.
We've all been out there with an old man that ordered a jack and coke at 8.15 in the morning.
Nobody says nothing to that old man except that's awesome, right?
That only happens on tour and a golf course, you know.
When I saw you're with the big record guy, were you guys talking about this project now?
No, we're just living life.
No, I was already, I'd already sign with a broken bow at that time.
And we were just, you know, I love Hodges, man.
he's a good dude.
And, you know, I've got a, you know, just good dude, man.
He's fun to golf with.
We play good together, and I'll also gas him up and get him drunk on that back nine.
And I think people intentionally bring me out on days when they want to get loose.
Whenever you have to go to the golf course, though, you know, it's tucked in.
You got nice.
Because I saw you looking like a golfer.
Yes, sir.
Does that feel foreign with the collared shirt?
Oh, yeah, I'd never look goofier.
Yeah, I've never looked goofier, man.
I'm telling you, I don't wear a collard shirts for nothing but the opera.
I didn't wear them to court.
How many times do you think you've been to court?
Oh, 50. Easy. A hundred. I couldn't even imagine.
If we get serious for a second, what would you say to a kid now that's listening to this at 14, 15 years old,
that maybe is not growing up in the most ideal situation and has to make some tough choices right now like you did.
Man, if we can get serious about that subject, we're doing a show later in Nashville this year,
big show, and I'm donating 100% of the money from the show to help build a music program in the juvenile here in Davidson County,
and I'm matching it with my own money, dollar for dollar.
So you're raising money and then matching the money you raise.
Yes, sir.
I believe artists need to start stroking a check, man.
I hate when artists just want a fundraise
and they don't want to reach in their old precious bank account.
Put your money where your mouth is, you know?
And why is that important to you?
Because I think these kids, when I was in juvenile, Bobby,
nobody ever came to talk to me that I understood, right?
God bless them, the Gideons would come
and they'd slide a Bible under the door,
and I appreciate that because I read that Bible a thousand times.
And they'd go, God bless you, young man.
But, you know, it was an 80-year-old dude with a suit and tie
that was disconnected by a door.
Nobody comes through and gives these kids hope.
And I've been to the adult prison
and I've been to the juvenile prison.
The adult prison is full of a bunch of grown men
who need to figure out a way to break a cycle.
The juvenile is full of a bunch of young kids
that don't think they know any better.
They don't know any better.
You know, and I'm a big advocate for justice reform
because when I was 16,
I made a decision that I'm not proud of,
but ended up getting charged as an adult.
And here I stand in front of you 20 years removed from that decision.
I'm not allowed to carry a firearm.
I'm not allowed to vote.
I just had to fight tooth and nail to get a passport.
I'm missing millions of dollars in Canada that I'll never be able to go get.
Because of a decision I made 20 years ago.
I was 16 years old, dude.
I mean, I don't know if I can say this, but I hadn't even started sprouting hair down there.
You know, and here I was being charged as a full-blown ad.
I couldn't buy a pack of cigarettes, but you justified my criminal act is enough to charge me as an adult.
I'm super passionate about that.
These kids need chances.
They need to see outside of their environment.
I have people right now, Bobby, that are from my neighborhood that never left my neighborhood.
They watch the Tennessee Titans on TV, and I call them now that I'm successful.
I'm like, I'll take you to a game.
They're like, no, I'm cool.
I'm like, you know that stadium's 11 minutes from your house.
Never seen it.
They don't know anything past that environment.
Nobody ever comes through and tries to help these kids, man.
And that's what I'm the most passionate about, and that's what I want to help with the most.
And I'm going to put my money where my mouth is when it comes to it.
What about your kids?
How do you plan to be a good dad?
and use what you've been through as an example to your kids.
My daughter is almost, she'll be 14 this month.
And her mother had got into a bout with heroin and had a rough addiction.
And we ended up getting custody of her, her, my wife, eight or nine years ago.
I have my daughter all the time.
She flies out on weekends.
I mean, I see her this morning on the way to school.
I'll be the first thing she sees when she comes home from school.
And to me, parenting is just about honesty.
You know, it's just about being really honest and having open dialogue.
These kids are exposed to stuff so much faster than we were because of the internet.
Back whenever I wanted to get a little risky, I had to go put together pieces of magazines.
Right?
You know, I had to go find them in various spots.
You know, these kids are exposed to so much stuff.
And to me, it's just about being honest and having a dialogue.
My daughter is like, I call her my little road dog.
That's my little homie.
You know, that's my little best friend.
And we talk like that.
And every now and then you've got to be dad.
You've got to growl and show your teeth.
But ultimately it's just about bringing her along the way
and keeping her as close as you can
and just kind of watching it grow.
Sounds like honesty is a massive part of who you are.
Yeah, 100%.
Lunchboxes met me outside of here.
Same guy that's sitting here, same guy was there, you know.
Where did you guys meet?
Softball.
We played softball together and we drank a lot.
We did.
It's factual.
I was excited to bring this up.
You play softball, you play golf.
Yeah.
Where are you doing the?
equestrian.
Dude, I'm an oversized.
Listen, I am an athlete
and an alcoholic's body, Bobby.
I'm trying to tell you, man,
I have, I had a bomb, didn't I?
I had a stinger, dude.
I had the most famous bass hit
in celebrity softball history.
I was one of the celebrity games.
I thought you guys went like a secret league or something.
We played on Tuesday nights.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And we bowled on Wednesdays.
Come hang out.
We'll talk about that book.
Jelly Rolls here with us.
Again, congratulations on Dead Man Walking.
Thank you, sir.
in the number one song. It's great. Son of a Center. Again, most added at country radio and you have a whole
country album coming out. I do. Yeah, me and Brantley have been writing a lot, me in earnest. I got some
stuff in the kettle pot, man. I'm cooking, baby. We're going to play Son of a Center now.
But, man, just appreciate you coming in. You know, I think you got to, you have a great message.
I think you can speak to the people that you want to speak to. And again, you're probably one of the
only people that can, you know, because unless you come from something, you almost don't want to listen
to people lecture you. You know, I'm from a very small town.
in Arkansas, and it's like people don't understand unless they've experienced it.
Right.
So I appreciate your message, and I think you're probably reaching a lot of people when others
can't.
And you had to go through a lot to actually get that message and gather those tools.
But, man, it's good to see you here.
I feel good.
Dude, I'm a huge fan of the show.
My mama's a fan of the show.
We're all like, this is a big deal, man.
We're keeping up with the big acting debut, and I'm looking forward to drinking with
lunchbox again.
I'm totally in the know of this show.
This isn't, I didn't do research on the way in.
I literally, I seen Luke
Come sit in his seat and I was like, we're getting close.
I'm bigger than Luke, but it looks like
he's comfortable in it. So now that I'm in
it, I feel great and I'd love to come back
and talk again. And one thing you're always
going to give from me, Bobby, for better or worse, it's
honest, in real. And I do want to
be a voice for the voiceless. I do want to help the
people that, you know, the music's
here to help. And I think that's
what music did for me. To this day,
music helps me through my darkest moments.
We've got three minutes of songwriters to change
the way people feel or to ride with
them in the darkest moment or the best moment of their life.
And I take those three minutes more than I, more serious than I take anything else in my life.
I appreciate that.
And at Jelly Roll 615, if you want to follow him.
It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two.
Lunchbox made his big acting debut in 2022.
This was a huge one.
No, it wasn't in Hollywood and no it wasn't on Broadway, but it was in Las Vegas for the Bat Out of Hell musical.
And he went down, made his debut.
there was some crazy things that happened around it,
like he was supposed to have lines,
and then he didn't end up having lines,
but he still made his acting debut,
and it was a very exciting moment on the show.
We got to hear him audition,
and then, of course, get to hear what happened
when he went down to Las Vegas
and made his dreams a reality.
Number six.
A big weekend for lunchbox.
All right, you go to Las Vegas.
You got a part in Bat Out of Hell.
A cameo, as they like to call it?
Yeah, I guess you call it that,
a walk-on roll.
So, okay, what happened?
What's the day of the show like?
Saturday. So, I mean, I got to be there. Call time. It's 5 o'clock. The show's not till 7. I show up and they take me back stage. I got my own dressing room. And guys, they must have listened to the show because they had me a bottle of tequila. They had a bottle of wine for my wife. They had a big old thing of peanut M&Ms. They had everything I wanted right there. What else?
You mentioned those three. I want to hear what else? Reese's Peanut Butter Cubs. Nice. Yeah. It was so it was awesome.
Anything else? That's all I wanted. Okay.
That's all I had. They didn't have the gambling money, but that's okay.
So do you think they heard that or did they ask you what you wanted?
No, they must have heard it.
They never came to me. I was asking you how I do it.
Scoob, but did you tell them what he wanted?
Sure.
Okay.
That must mean yes.
I don't want to take credit for anything.
Yeah, because he won't give it to you, even if you did.
Okay.
And then they had a poster there that I was supposed to sign because I guess they give them to their VIPs.
And so I signed the poster with all the rest of the cast.
And then I sit in my dressing room.
and then wardrobe comes by
brings me in my wardrobe
then I go to hair and makeup
and some of the other cast members
stopping in saying hey good luck tonight
you know we're glad to have you
it's awesome
so you felt loved
felt loved man met one guy named Connor
who's in the he's a big fan of the show
been listening he's from Virginia
he's 19
grew up he is I don't know the guy's name
but he did play Stratt
the main guy in one of the performances
like he's the Connor
yeah he's the fill in
but yeah so Connor's family's big huge
fans. So that was really cool.
So you go, what do they do? It's like five minutes
before the show. What happens? They start calling over the intercom.
All right. 15 minutes to
places and they say the names like 15
minutes for this, this, and lunchbox.
And I'm like, that's me. That's me.
And so then at five minutes, they
come by and say, hey, you ready? Let's go get in spots.
And we go outside. And we wait.
I say, you're good to go. And I go up on
the stage. Is this as the show's on?
No, no. This is as the audience
is coming in. I'm on the stage with three other
people and we're
cleaning the motorcycle and we're there.
And then the...
Wait, so as the seats are being filled,
you're like a mannequin?
No, no, no.
Like, I'm with the main people.
Like, Raven, who is the, like, the co...
Raven's Simone?
No, Raven is the character in the play.
She's the second star.
She is up there and we're cleaning the motorcycle.
And then there's a flashing light
and that tells you to go over and get in your places
and we go get in our spots.
And then the curtain drops.
And she's like, everything!
And that's when the play starts.
Boom!
How long until you're on?
I'm already on the stage, man.
No, I mean, like on.
Like, when do you do your thing?
No, no, like this part, I'm on.
I am on.
When do you speak?
Yeah, when do you speak?
When do you have lines?
Well, it's coming.
Okay.
It's coming.
Okay.
So, you know, they come out and it starts and everybody.
What are you wearing?
I'm wearing jeans, black Doc Martins.
I got a nice leather jacket that says the lost.
I got a bandana.
and I got a bandana out of my back pocket.
I got a red glove, got a spiky wristband,
and I got some war pain on my face.
Okay, just trying to get the vibe here.
Yeah.
So when do you talk?
So hold on.
Just let me get there, man.
So the first scene, they do this dance,
and I jump on the motorcycle,
and me and Zahara, we ride out.
We're out of here.
There's a big fight that a rush to talk.
Does it move?
The motorcycle moves?
Oh, yeah.
Then you talk?
Hold on.
Oh, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.
Can I get there?
So the motorcycle goes out.
Boom.
cool. Then they do a whole other scene and then we come back out on the motorcycle, another dance
scene, and then it's my time to shine. Okay. And we have audio. Ray, you want to hit it? Okay,
here we go. There's no audio. My speaking lines got cut. Oh, no. Oh, my God. I didn't know that. I didn't
know that. Oh my God, the collar was right. I didn't know that, dude. I didn't find this out until
about an hour before show. They cut your lines? Why did they do that? Yeah, they cut the entire scene.
I did not know that and I was not leading you into that.
I didn't know they did that in stage performance.
I knew they had audio or I was told there was audio.
I didn't know it was them messing with him.
Yeah.
Well, I felt bad now.
I didn't know that he got cut.
Yeah.
I was all excited.
Remember, I mean, they had this whole thing for me and they cut that entire scene.
Why would they do that?
Yeah.
Like, why am I irritated at them now?
Like, now I'm completely.
It's like you can make fun of your brother, but nobody else can because then you want to beat them up.
That's what I feel like right now.
No, no, no, it was, the play was a lot longer.
And after, you know, doing a few runs, they decided to cut some scenes.
And that happened to be one of the scenes that they cut.
But they adjusted on the fly and were able to still get me in there and still get me on stage to perform.
So I was in two different scenes.
Did you get, and you didn't speak at all?
Well, I mean, I did speak, but just not to the crowd.
Oh, you were like talking to the other guy.
It sucks, man.
I got my lines cut.
Like, it was crazy because I didn't realize that they talked to each other, why the other
main scenes are going on, but like, things are going on
and people will be like, man, isn't that guy an idiot?
And I'm like, yeah, he's an idiot. And we're actually talking
and I didn't know it, but so the
microphone didn't pick up my... Scuba. What do you think about
this? I didn't know his lines got cut, did you?
Yeah, I found out when he called me
that evening and I was like...
Did you call him like, I can't believe they cut my lines?
No, I kind of was like, oh, dude,
developing story, but my lines got cut.
I mean, it happens all the time in Hollywood where they
have a film and they chop it down.
It just sucks. It was him because this whole thing
was around him and him being on there.
It was a marquee.
It's edited and it's a movie and they have to pick what scenes based on camera shots.
This is a live.
How long would your whole scene have been?
Oh, it would have been like 30 seconds.
But the storyline, they took a lot out because it was a two and a half hour play.
Oh, and I did read in Vegas they can't do two and a half hour and 30 seconds.
That's the limit on time.
I'm irritated for you right now.
No, no, it was awesome.
The cast was awesome.
them. It was so fun.
Do you want to act out your scene here?
No. Yeah. Give him a match.
Do it. Remember once Jaco and performed at the CMAs and it rained him out.
Yeah. They made him cut like 80% of a set. And so we said, you can come up here, bring the whole
band to perform. He did this whole set up here, all hour. And it was an amazing performance by him.
We were lucky to be able to see it and be a part of it. We're offering you that.
Well, here's the problem. I don't remember my lines now. Well, that's difficult.
I flushed him. You know, like when you cram for a test and you walk out of that classroom,
after you take the test and you just flush it and you don't remember it,
that is exactly what happened.
Once they told me I didn't have any lines, I was like, oh.
Scoba, should I be mad or no?
Because I'm on the edge of, no, dude, it was.
I have some behind the scenes, things, well, my theories, I want to get to it on the air.
It's too much inside baseball.
So are you telling me not to be mad for luncheon?
I don't think so.
But I think it's just, that's just lunchbox's life.
He gets something and it goes away.
Yeah.
Or it doesn't happen.
That's just him.
Listen, they had a big, you know how cool.
They had an after party.
Like, he was opening night.
So we went upstairs.
and I thought it was going to be some lame after party.
Dude, it was out by the pool
overlooking the Las Vegas strip.
They had a live band,
food, free drinks.
It was awesome.
Okay, so you're happy with the weekend.
Man, yes, I would have loved,
listen, I would have loved to have some lines
or some more action.
Yeah.
He's happy, bones.
Yeah, let me tell you.
He lived like a star.
I crushed it on that stage.
The caller was right.
I can't believe it.
Ray, can you play that voicemail again?
No, no, we don't need it.
We don't need it.
We don't need to do this.
Here.
We just left back.
out of hell and lunchbox did not perform.
He had zero words and it was a decent show, but lunchbox did nothing.
He sat on the motorcycle and made awkward movements.
I have no idea what that was all about.
Four minutes of the show he was on.
That's it.
Four minutes.
He didn't say anything.
Didn't do anything.
I only played that earlier because I thought this caller was so wrong and I was going to
give lunchbox a shot to make fun of him.
I didn't know he was exactly right.
Okay.
Well, Scoob, I'm anxious to hear what happened behind the scenes.
Oh, yeah, it was, it was, but man.
Not on the air.
No, no, but hey, and I thought the cast was going to be like, oh, my God, this is so annoying to have some dude jumping in our production.
They were so nice.
Every single one of them.
Stop by my dressing room.
I feel like they all sledge you five bucks talk nice about it.
No, no.
Even like in between scenes, they're going in between dressing rooms or whatever, and they would stop by my dress room.
Dude, you're killing it out there.
Thanks for coming.
And they were high-fiving me.
You were sitting on a motor.
I think they were told me.
Be encouraging.
No, they were not.
Maybe, Amy, good point.
Be really nice to know.
I bet they said, hey, this is a make-a-wish tonight.
Treat him well.
Treat him well.
Be special.
They were so cool.
Like, every single one of them.
Well, I'm glad you had fun.
Yeah, that's what's most important.
I may go back.
Oh.
Just to watch with the play?
What about, didn't do two shows that night?
Yeah, I didn't.
So the second show, they didn't give you the lines on that one either?
No, no, no.
No.
Were you better at cleaning the motorcycle in the second show?
Yeah.
I shined it up good.
I shined it up good.
I crushed it on that rock, and I rode that motorcycle like a chance.
But I didn't drive the motorcycle.
I just rode behind the girl.
If you're good, I'm good.
Bad out of hell.
No, no.
If you're good, I'm good.
Are you saying you're good?
Dude, my name was on the marquee.
If you're good, I'm good.
If you see my picture.
That's all.
I don't think he's good.
I think I'm going to burn it down.
Are you good?
Like a bad out of head.
It's not answer.
Okay, well, let me, let's get out of here.
It's the best bits of the week.
With Morgan number two.
There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinnfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends...
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed.
I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.

I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come,
look for up and coming talent.
He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you,
which is really sweet.
Yeah.
He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
and he's like just give it a shot he goes but if you ever reach a point where you're banging
your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore it's okay to quit if you saw it written

You doctored this particular test twice in so much, correct?
I doctored the test ones.
It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case.

A huge moment for the show this year was the CMA Awards.
We won the National Personality of the Year Award and we all went on stage and accepted the award.
Got to get all dressed up and have a great time.
It was a huge moment for us this year.
And you guys also enjoyed hearing about it from Amy's trophy getting broken and the award night stories.
You guys just really loved hearing this and hearing us come together to accept.
that award and it's all because of you guys that it happened. So coming in here at this number
five spot of the best bits of the year, it's us talking about the CMA Awards.
Number five. The CMA Awards were last night. Hope everybody got a chance to check it out.
Eddie had his eye issue. Amy had a broken award once. Lunchbox is just chilling. Yeah, doing my thing.
It is what it is. And so we all got an award though, which is cool. Like this was the year that
everybody, the whole show, like we purposefully submitted it where everybody's name was on it. So
everybody got a big glass nice award.
And I have the award at my house.
Your award, do you have it yet?
I don't think so.
You have yours yet.
Anybody else have theirs?
I have mine.
Okay, you have yours.
Okay.
Mine's at home.
So, you had to go sign for it.
You got to go pick it up.
Pick it up.
You broke yours last year, so maybe they're not letting you have it.
Or maybe they're like, oh, we're whipping you up another one.
So you had yours last year.
It was in a box, and you had it leaning on your door.
You opened the door.
In the car, yeah.
The box fell out, and it shattered this humongous glass award.
Yes.
That's the end of the story?
Yeah?
Okay.
Why?
Is it...
Why?
Is there more to it
that I don't know about?
I'm just asking if that's the end of the story.
Yeah, that's the end of the story.
So Scuba Steve went to pick up some folks awards.
Yeah, he said he was going to pick up...
We gave him our sheet of paper from the place.
Scuba, so Phil, let's know what happened yesterday before the show?
Yesterday, so we go there, me and lunchbox, get our COVID test, pick up the awards.
Lunchbox loaded them all in my truck.
Not the way I would load them, but he load them in my truck.
We get back here to the station.
We're doing some work and all that stuff.
And as everyone's leaving, I'm like, hey, let's go to my truck.
We'll grab your award.
And that way you take it with you, it's yours.
Congratulations.
So we go to open the door to grab Eddie's award.
And we immediately hear, I'm like, oh, my God.
It was like a rock falling down a mountain.
You heard it too.
Eddie was right there.
Yeah, it was right there.
So was it just one box?
One box that was on top of another wooden box that slid off when I opened it and hit the floor immediately.
And whose award was it?
He just said it was Eddie's.
No, no, no, we were getting my award.
Who's award?
Who's award was it?
Who's award was it?
Who's award was it?
It was Amy's award.
Hey, on the box, it said, Amy.
How does this happen to me twice?
He's bringing it in.
Here it is, your CMA Award.
It's crazy.
Two years in a row.
Shattered.
Oh, no.
Careful, Amy.
Open it up there.
Oh, Amy, how bad is it?
I don't know.
I don't know.
That's a bad.
I can't be able to work so I could super glue it.
No, no, no, you can't super glue that.
No.
Let's see it.
Even the boxes.
So the box brooks who comes right off.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's exactly what happened my other one.
Shattered.
Oh, wow, it's split right in half.
This is, now I have...
If you get one, we should just break Amy's.
Oh, no.
Let me see.
Oh, it's broke.
Just push.
That's...
You should wear it as a necklace now, the top part.
Oh, Amy, that's terrible.
horrible.
Yeah.
So Scova, who set it up
toward fall like that?
Lunchbox.
So Lunchbox broke Amy's award this year?
Yeah, so I think lunchbox broke it
because of the way he positioned it
but now you'll see how this can happen.
To you, even when you're not there, it's good.
Also, what does this mean?
You like signs.
Yeah, I know.
I have two broken CMA awards.
Do you think it means you should quit?
I can't quit.
But I would if I could, is what she said.
I need a job.
What sign is that, Amy?
Builds a payroll.
Yeah.
Everything good, Amy?
She goes, I'd need a job.
Like, I'd be out of here.
I'm sorry, Amy.
That's plain.
Everything is fine.
I don't want to pin on lunchbox.
I was looking for someone to throw it on.
I felt awful.
I almost threw up when I went home to my wife
and I took it out on my family and my kids.
What?
You took it out?
What you do?
I didn't like beat him or anything, but like I went home.
But you know how when something happens at work, you take it home that anxiety and it gets out on them.
And so I'm so sorry, Amy.
That's okay.
I will get it.
Wow.
You should have seen it.
We were like, when we saw Amy on there, we're like the irony.
Did you laugh or did you go, oh no?
When we saw Amy's name, we laughed.
Okay.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I'm sorry.
We're going to play Luke Bryan knocking booze.
Two years, two awards.
Oh my gosh.
Both of Amy.
shattered. Eddie's eye did not get
smaller last night before the CMAs.
No, and it's gotten worse. It's crazy.
Like way worse. Eddie had a stye
in his eye and he kept swelling.
Then he got a second stye on top of the first eye and he kept swelling.
Then he was like, I'm not going to the CMAs.
We say, Eddie, you got to go full blues brother. You're going to
the CMAs. Wear your sunglasses.
And so you did.
Do you know how many people came up to me and said, dude,
looking cool. I'm like, thank you.
Well, they just had to address it.
Because if they don't say anything about it at all,
It's like somebody who has a crazy but like ugly hairstyle.
Uh-huh.
Like a new crazy ugly hairstyle.
Like, oh, look at your, like you have to say something because you can't just ignore it.
Oh, it's so annoyed.
How about that hair?
Hey, Eddie, how about those glasses?
They're like men and black.
Cool, man.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
So.
I have a sty guys.
He did have a sunglasses on.
And it was great.
You can see you in the group picture we took.
Yeah.
You're like a few rows back.
Yeah, I was kind of hiding behind a little bit.
But you can see my face with the glasses.
Yeah, you didn't need to.
I kind of felt weird that you and Mike D like hid in the back.
Well, they kind of arranged it.
That's where they put us.
I don't know.
I got there at the very last second.
I have no idea.
Yeah.
This is what happened on the email.
It said 650.
650?
650?
What time was it?
What time was?
5.50.
Okay.
Yes.
It said 550.
So I get there and I have other stuff to do.
I have other obligations when I get there.
I haven't timed exactly right.
You guys know how I am.
I am punctual to the second.
I'm texting with scuba.
It's 547. No problem.
I get there at 549.
One minute before.
Everybody's already gathered, just waiting on me.
They're all like, okay, finally.
I'm here one minute early.
I'm here exactly when.
You told me to be here.
And everybody's like, yeah.
Oh, look who decided to show up.
I'm on time.
And so I get up and we take the picture.
And then I go back and do the other work that I promised that I would do.
I didn't miss the picture.
I wasn't late to the picture.
Everybody treated me like I was bad dude getting there.
I was on time.
Yeah, I think it's just because we were all there like an hour early.
No, I hear you, but I was just told to be there at 50 after,
and I was there at 49 after.
I get everywhere on time.
And so I get there, and scuba's like having to stall 40 people for me,
and I appreciate that, but I'm like, no, no, no, I'm on time.
And I know when I got there, everybody's like, oh, not you guys, everybody.
I was about to say, we weren't.
I just, I laughed when you walked up and was like, hey, we've been standing here waiting.
The camera, the camera guy was, like, the camera guy was,
They were about to just take it anyway,
and then the director maybe or whoever is like,
no,
let's wait for Bobby Bones.
And like,
roll out.
That's why when you walked up,
I was like,
everybody's been standing here.
I did everything exactly
according to what I was told.
I followed my calendar that I was told
I was a good soldier last night by the minute.
And I get there and I'm the villain.
No, no, you weren't.
A funny moment,
well, for Ray, I guess, kind of,
was he was on the front row with us,
and at one point when they were arranging everybody,
they were like, oh, hey, you, we need a taller person in the back,
and it looked like they were pointing to Ray to move,
and so Ray started to move, and they were like, oh, no, no, not you.
Not you, little fella.
You stay right where you're at.
You stay put.
Hey, fella.
Hey, low guy.
It was cute.
So we got the group picture.
It was great.
Yeah.
You see Eddie with sunglasses like in the middle,
and there's like 50 people in this picture.
And then you see Mike like hidden in the back corner,
and that's typical Mike D.
Like he's just trying to be behind.
But I was, you can get up front.
And so hop up and Lunchbox and I hold the award.
Yeah.
Looks like you guys are fighting for the award.
Oh, no.
You know Lunchbox is hoping you didn't show up because he was getting to hold it.
Well, I didn't want to hold.
So I get up there and lunch is holding the award.
And one of the guys that goes, hey, hand the word over to Bobby.
And lunch starts to hand him out.
I go, no, you can hold half up.
I don't care.
I was almost crushed.
That's the real story.
But it looks like you guys are actually fighting for it.
Oh, no.
That's my award.
I didn't even want to hold the award.
And I didn't want to take it from lunchbox.
So we shared it. I said, you can hold half of it.
I don't care.
And so we're holding it like we want it together.
Like we're Dan and Chey or Robes Osborne.
And so we're in the picture.
We posted up.
It's great.
Everybody was great.
And so I had to go back to do more stuff.
And so I said, Amy, we have to do.
They don't show the speech on TV.
But I say, hey, do this thing where you walk out and you say whatever.
And so you did.
Walked out.
You did your speech.
Yeah, we all walked out there together.
But backstage, I worked with Mike D.E.
to come up with like, you know, what I was going to say because I just wanted it to be super quick,
but maybe referencing, you know, obviously the award and whatnot.
And then Mike had this great idea about how, you know, my CMA had broken and all this stuff.
No one ever sees this because we've done it before and I've never seen one ounce of in this.
No, they say it goes into like the archives.
Yeah, we've done the hilarious things.
And then they were like, well, it goes in the archives.
And I was like, well, they're yelling at me to get back over to this interview stand.
So Amy just do the speech.
No one's ever going to see it anyway.
And then I go back.
So here's Amy given the speech.
Go ahead.
The winners of the daily national broadcast personality of the year are Bobby Bones,
Amy Brown, lunchbox, Dan Chappelle, Eddie Garcia, Morgan Hussleman,
Season Raymundo, Stephen, Scuba, Steve Spradlin, Mike Rodriguez,
and phone screener, Abby Anderson, the Bobby Bones show.
Woo-hoo!
Okay, we love Parker McCollum.
Also, my CMAs may have shattered, but may they never shatter.
matter our dreams.
Clear eyes.
Parker introducing?
Yeah.
Yeah. He had just stepped off the mic, so that's why I gave him a shout-out.
Plus, Texas boy, Texas forever, clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
Makes sense.
People will watch those archives in 80 years and they dig that out.
They've got no idea.
I'm going to go, what's that?
What's Parker and we call them?
Like they say that.
So that happened.
It's great.
We're super pumped.
Just happy to be able to do this show every day.
More than an award, we're just happy to do this show.
And we hope you feel like you're our friends.
because we feel like
where are your friends?
Security got called
on Ray and Lunchbox.
Yeah.
I mean,
I'm not surprised.
Obviously.
Well,
there was just so much happening.
It is mayhem with them.
It's mayhem.
Mayhem.
And you would think after us being together,
how long we've been together on lunchbox?
19 years.
19 years.
Yeah.
You'd think at this point I would be like
used to it
or he wouldn't do it,
but that's not the case.
What happened?
All right.
Well, we walk off stage.
Backstage.
Are you crying?
Are you okay?
Look.
I saw Scoba Steve squirting honey in his throat this morning.
What?
Lunch his head was back and Scoob I had a thing of honey just squirting it in his throat.
Because they all yell.
Yes, no, he's acting like it's allergies.
He's screamed all night last night.
Hey, as the morning has gone on, it's gotten worse.
And we're backstage.
There's celebrities everywhere.
And we are just paparazzi and them all up in their face.
What up?
Oh, there's John Party.
There's Runaway June.
There's Luke Bryan.
There's, oh, Morgan Wallin.
What up?
and then the lady goes, do you guys have passes?
And we were like, uh, she goes, stay right here.
I'm going to go get security.
And that's when we went,
did you have passes?
No.
Well, then how'd you get back there?
I walked off the stage after getting our award and there were all the celebrities.
You just hung out back.
So I just stood there and started talking to people and like, hey, why not?
Are you okay?
I don't know.
Hey, if he gets a stye in his eye, you know what's up.
your throat? I have a stye. I'd rather have a sty in my eye than have no voice. We're like all
falling apart. Did you stay out late? No. No, he left. You sure. Did you scream a lot last night?
No. Yes, he did. Yes, he did. Yes, and every artist. I saw your Instagram story. I saw the
Instagram of you screaming at everybody. No, every artist, every artist was happy to see me.
Oh my gosh. No. I don't know. Just because they're stunned when they see you? No.
You're screaming at them. Doesn't mean they're happy. Like Morgan Wall and saw me. He's like, what
up? High five. That means he was happy to see.
see me. And can we talk about how we work with a bunch of sissies? Because we're driving driving up
to the awards, right? And Peyton Manning is hosting. Don't cry, buddy. Okay. And Peyton Manning is
standing outside his bus and we stop the car and yell at him and I am trying to climb out of
the car. I know it's emotional. They finally see Peyton Manning. You're okay, man. It's okay.
Eddie Pat him on the back. Get him through this. You got it. I am trying to climb out of the car to talk
to Peyton Manning and scuba
rolls up the window and tells the driver to
keep driving. Here's the clip. Go ahead.
Peyton.
Yeah, but you weren't yelling.
You're yelling at all. No, no, no. I wasn't yelling.
That clip sums up basically
the whole night with every star.
I wanted to climb out of the car and talk to Peyton and they would not
let me. Yeah, well. Thank God.
Why? Thank you.
He was there with his kids.
Yes, and he's working. I know he's outside of his bus.
I saw him a couple of
times last night. He's huge.
He's huge. He's so big.
But don't worry, I saw him again, and I got
that pick. I saw the pick, and Peyton's like,
uh, you again. Let me tell you.
Yeah. I yelled, yo, Peyton, I need
that picture. And he was like,
don't get that, buddy. Come here. Yeah,
Lunchbox talked to him like Peyton owed him
a photo or something. So awkward.
I mean, it was cool to see him walk right by us. And I just
looked and calmly and I said, hi, Mr. Manning.
And then he kept walking. And then Lunchbox, like,
He bounced on him.
Watch if I just jumped on for a piggyback ride.
Payton!
I mean...
Morgan, what happened with the police and you?
Well, Eddie, so we all met here before we went to the awards to get an Uber, and Eddie
hands me a champagne bottle, and he's like, you're good, just drink out of that and bring
it with us.
It'll be fine.
We show up to where we're supposed to go in, and immediately, as soon as I step out of
the car, a cop goes, you're not supposed to have that here, and I'm just holding this
champagne bottle in my hands.
Open liquor.
Like, we get a pass.
Yes.
We're like, we want a war.
What are you talking about?
You get to break the law because you won a CMA award.
And so Eddie's like Morgan, just keep walking and keep walking.
I don't know at this point why I'm listening to Eddie.
So when cops are yelling at you, Eddie, going just keep walking.
Just keep walking.
Act like you don't hear them.
Yes.
Worst case scenario way is it a knock her down and handcuff her?
I mean, maybe.
We're good.
Yes.
They will get there.
If you ignore a cop when you're breaking the law, do you know what to do?
They go cop on you.
Yes, they arrest you.
So it was a good night for everybody.
Oh, it was a great.
It was fun.
I met Peyton. It was great.
You and P.M. Buds?
Yeah, I hung out with Luke Combs and Morgan Wall and...
You say hung out.
Yeah, like Morgan Wall and high-fied me.
You said hung out. But how'd you hang out with Luke Combs?
Well, Luke walked by and gave me the surfs up, dude.
That's hanging out?
Hang loose.
Yeah, hang loose.
That's hanging out?
Yeah.
Luke comes hung out?
Yeah.
He acknowledged me.
Oh, good.
Yeah, it was cool.
Good, good.
Okay, quickly, the coolest moment, favorite moment of the night.
In 10 seconds or less.
Amy.
Okay, mine was I kept my son on speaker phone the first 30 minutes of the show.
So he got to hear tons of performances and that was like a really special moment.
Especially Jody Messina with Coleswindle.
What about the TV?
You didn't want to watch it on TV?
Yeah, I mean, that would have been better audio.
In video.
He could have seen it too.
He was playing a video game or something that had in the Nives on speaker.
Eddie?
Yeah, I got to take my son.
So that was really cool.
And him just being starstruck with everyone was really awesome.
I'm like dad, that's Katie Perry.
I'm like, son, we got to find the bathroom.
I got to go pee.
I saw Katie last night, too, and we worked together for four years on Idol.
And I wasn't going to bother her because she was doing press.
And so I was just going to walk by and say hi real quick.
We were just passing.
I didn't want to be rude, but I still wanted to not.
I don't want to bother her.
And also, I never know.
We worked together the four years, but LA celebrities are different.
Yeah.
In that, who knows if she didn't remember me?
Although we spent hours and hours, still I'm like, I don't know.
My wife's like, of course, you work together hours.
You want them trips.
And so I was like, okay, let's just walk by.
And she came up and grabbed us, Caitlin and I both,
and just ignored everybody and talked to us for like 10 minutes.
Oh.
She's not that different.
Wow.
Was shocked because she was so busy.
And I will say that it was really kind to her to stop and just hang out because I didn't expect it.
Love, just it was great.
That was lovely of her to do that.
Yeah.
Yeah, Katie Perry was there.
It was pretty cool.
Katie Perry.
I missed her.
I didn't see her.
And then when we saw Peyton Manning, he was with his son.
So I was like, hey, I told my son, go be friends with him.
So then me and Peyton can be friends.
But he didn't. He chickened out.
Lunchbox?
Oh, me and Peyton Manning.
Awesome.
I mean, didn't have a lot to say, but it was really cool to me.
He didn't or you didn't?
He didn't.
Did he say anything at all?
He goes, okay.
That was it.
That's hanging out more than you did with him at Combs, though.
Yeah, probably.
But I mean, to get a picture with one of the good.
You're good.
You're good.
Be vulnerable.
Be emotional.
You're crying.
Morgan.
It was hanging out with this show.
That was the first time we've hung out in a while
and we kind of from start to finish
we're all hanging out together
and that was pretty cool.
Ray?
Yeah, randomly the Uber ride down
we were in a murdered out escalade
and we kept telling the driver
that we were famous and he really didn't believe it.
I thought you guys had this shit,
ran out of a car or something because it looked like
one of those cars that they put everybody in.
We looked awesome.
Yeah.
And so then we get next to all the fans
and we roll down the window just a hair
and everybody just starts screaming
and our Uber drivers like,
you guys really are famous.
Oh my gosh.
And then Scoobo tips him $40 so he would drop us off
on the red carpet.
It was sick.
Did the people start?
screaming because you were just in a black car and they didn't know who it was?
They thought it was like artists.
Yeah, yeah.
Definitely.
I mean, they didn't really see anybody, but they just knew somebody was in it because it was all blacked out.
That's fun.
You got that car.
Like, that's pretty random, right?
Thank God, we did have an astro van, but it got switched up last second.
hilarious.
That would have been great.
I think seeing Jordan Davis win and Laney win, two people that outside of just this world that I'm close to is the coolest thing.
I don't know.
Usually I'm like, okay, it's an industry award.
That's cool.
Good job.
Good for you.
But for those two, especially when Jordan went like the first award.
That was awesome.
It was amazing.
He's just a dear friend and could not be happier for him.
And so to me, that was the best part of the night.
Obviously, that's getting the award's always cool.
So thankful for that.
But it's cool.
And then we was it.
I freaked out for Brothers Osborne, like probably a little too hard.
Like I jumped out of my seat.
I don't know why it was.
I mean, I think probably because I live next door to TJ for a while,
but it was just really cool to see them
and just their growth
and really cool to see them honored
in that way. But I think Eddie was like...
John counts are having twins. Yes, he did.
That was cool.
Home with the beard, yeah. Yeah, Eddie was like
calm down, Amy.
Yeah, like you were their neighbor.
Well, it was a great night. It was a great night.
Congratulations to everybody. Thank you all.
I think that's it. CMAs. Everybody good?
Yeah. I'm good.
Oh, gosh. I'm done.
What?
Are you okay? Breathe.
I'm all right.
allergies are terrible.
We have clips of you screaming for a whole night.
That's not allergies.
No, it's allergies, man.
Oh, so funny.
It sounds like he's crying.
It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two.
Another huge moment for a show member this year in the world of acting.
Amy made her debut in Hollywood.
She has always wanted to be in a Christmas movie, and that happened this year.
She was in a Christmas movie called Holiday Harmony on a Christmas.
HBO Max and she went and filmed it in Hollywood.
There was a big reveal that happened on the show when we found out she was going to be in a movie.
It was just a huge moment in general from the show aspect and also for Amy personally.
So of course, that is in on this list right here at number four.
Number four.
It's time.
In the next few minutes, somebody on the show will reveal.
We will reveal that you have a movie role.
Multiple lines.
A major streaming service.
movie. We're down to three people. Either Amy's going to get the role. Either lunchbox
is not the most likely. That's the most likely scenario. Or Eddie gets the role. I feel it.
I did not give this role. I did not pursue it. It came to me and asked for one of you specifically.
Now this is a listener who left us this VEO. This happened on the show yesterday, but we're going to
play it to set it up. One lady, two boys. One contest. Hollywood is a trip. The outcome will only be known
by Bobby Bones and it has already been
decided. Catch messages?
It all doesn't matter.
Bobby didn't pick it personally.
All you idiots don't message him about
anything. And Bobby also
deserves to have an honorary doctorate
and maybe also an ice cream cone.
Let's go.
Oh my goodness. So there's a couple
of quick things from each of you.
Eddie believes he manifested this because
when I was a kid, my dad got me a
little Oscar thing from a business trip
he took to L.A. and I would stand in front of the
and say, I want to thank my parents for believing me.
I would thank Tom Hanks for inspiring me all the above.
This is my dream come true bones.
I know it.
Earlier on the show, Eddie said his dad called him and was like,
I think you got the role.
He called me two times yesterday saying,
has Bobby told you anything?
It's like, Dad, Bobby's not telling me anything.
I haven't told anyone.
Lunchbox, why do you think you manifested the role?
Man, guys, I've been...
How'd you get back in this, by the way?
The plot twist.
Got it.
Plot twist.
Like a movie.
Like a good movie.
movie like a good murder mystery, there's always a plot twist, and Bobby is the king of the plot twist.
And he knew that everybody would be so happy I was eliminated. Then boom, plot twist. I'm back
to steal the role. And I cannot wait. I took theater in seventh grade, Miss Dawson. And then I just
thought about being on the big screen the rest of my life. I started taking acting classes a couple
years ago. I was like, you know what? It's time to chase that dream. And the dream has finally come true.
Hollywood, I'm coming, baby.
Open the doors.
I'm on my way.
Wow, okay.
Sounds like he's dying.
I'm sending my team here, my creative team of Scuba and Mike Dia text.
Oh, boy.
You don't even know what that means.
Like, what?
They're going to bring in the present for me.
Amy.
My plane ticket.
You think, do you have manifested this somehow?
Well, I mean, yes, I've said for years that I would love a role in, for example,
a Hallmark Christmas movie.
I mean, back in the day, Hallmark was one making most of them.
But now all kinds of networks and streaming platforms make Christmas movies.
So that's what I often have put out there.
And I did it recently on the show.
Hold a clip of it just so you can hear of times that I've randomly mentioned it.
Okay, here's some clips from Amy.
There you go.
Okay, so I have a bucket list item, which would be, I don't know,
be in a Hallmark Christmas movie somehow, even just an extra.
And I saw that Hershey's has teamed up with the Hallmark channel,
and they have a baking contest going on,
and a lucky winner is going to get a walk-on roll as a baker
and the Hallmark Movie Channel.
And I thought maybe that could be me,
so I've said that for years.
Maybe even a barista in a coffee shop.
So you won a Hershey's contest?
Well, no.
I mean, that was just an example of me saying it on the show.
I've said it multiple times.
You don't know.
Okay.
He doesn't know what?
Do you know scuba?
You can just text me.
Just text me back.
Okay.
Why, you'll have secret texts going on right now?
This is my creative team when we can't talk in front of you guys.
You guys are so stressed.
Don't worry about it.
You got the roll.
You got the roll.
I'm not stressed, but I am nervous.
I'm not.
I don't get nervous in front of the camera.
Well, but it's acting.
It's not just.
Well, I know.
Trust me.
I act.
One of you has to be eliminated.
Oh, sorry, suckers.
I just said a prayer.
So the elimination is going to happen,
and then we'll find out.
Here's the thing.
I, and we don't think,
that this is a Christmas movie.
Oh, no, Amy.
Sorry, Amy, see you later.
Bye, sorry.
I'll wait for my time.
Movie rolls gone.
Sorry.
I still manifested it and.
I don't think.
Scoba, right?
Are we just confused on it?
I think we're confused.
Yeah, I'm double check right now.
It might be, but we don't know if it is or isn't.
Yeah, I think that they're known for this, but I don't think it's that.
I'm alone four?
Mm-hmm, exactly.
And the kids growing up in a sludge box.
That could work.
One of you will be eliminated.
Oh, come on.
The person eliminated.
Now is...
Amy, do you think it's you?
Oh, my gosh.
Why did you do that?
Why did you do that?
My goodness, I thought I was like, oh, man.
Oh, my goodness.
I'm still letting you.
I'm still letting him.
Furn.
Literally, I'm just letting me.
sweating right now.
I don't know. I don't want to play this game.
I have no idea. Honestly, whoever it is
and would be happy for them. It's going to be cool.
Like you said, it could be like
an amazing experience
that, you know, alter someone's life
a little bit. Okay, don't do
that. Lunchbox.
What?
Talking to you right now. Yeah, that's good.
I'm ready to move on. I'm ready. Let's go.
Get rid of these fools. Let's go. Just say
it. I got the movie roll. You are.
I'm going on.
Great person.
actor you are
I need you to be quiet
you are
still in
yeah
yeah
what is up
what is up
what is up
hey Eddie
how's that taste
how's that taste
so it's either
me or Eddie or out
this is not good
I don't
not like Eddie's hair
okay but why take shots out of
we didn't do anything
but I just
I don't feel confident.
I mean, in no way.
You can now you're possibly up against Lung Frog and you don't feel confident.
It's you. It's you that I'm worried about.
Not him.
He brought himself back in, Amy.
It can't be Lunchbox.
I feel like it's Amy now.
But was I going to bring him back in?
Was it a plot twist?
I don't know.
Yeah, this is what Bobby does.
He makes things really complicated.
You are, yeah, you do stuff like this, yes.
So.
Oh, man.
Eddie.
Come on, Bose.
Please.
I told you, dude.
I didn't do it.
I didn't do it.
I didn't do it.
I have nothing to do with it.
Eddie.
announcement, oh my gosh, what? What?
You are. Come on. Still in it? Still in it?
Eliminated.
Yeah! Yeah! No! No!
Sorry. Ray, why are you laughing so hard?
Because he truly thought it was him.
I really did. Yeah.
Did you really? I really, really did.
So it's either Amy.
Oh my goodness!
This is amazing.
Okay, so.
Eddie, I made it farther you did.
So, we're going to take a break.
Yeah, we got to come back and finish it in the next segment.
Oh, my goodness.
Do you think, Eddie, now there's any chance it can be lunchbox?
No.
You still don't.
Now even more, I think it's going to be Amy.
But wouldn't I have eliminated him here?
Yeah, but this is just fun to mess with his emotions.
I love it.
Okay.
I'm sorry, it's not, it wasn't you.
It's okay.
I have the rest of the day to get over it.
My wife just texted,
Congrats! I'm freaking out!
Okay, I place your bets. Who gets the job?
It's an acting role that I was reached out to.
It says, La La La Approached Us About a Movie.
They want Blank to appear in the movie.
There will be lines.
They will work with this major actress.
It's on a major streaming service.
I think that's all I can say for here.
So either lunchbox or Amy gets the roll
Place your bets
Ray now lunchbox is back in
He brought himself back in
But that could have been the plan the whole time
Because there was going to be a twist
Who do you think gets the roll Ray?
I'm going with Amy just because lunch has a voice for radio
He has a face for radio
Okay, dumb joke
Like from this... Oregon
My bet's been on Amy the whole time
So I'm sticking with it
Heavy favorite is Amy Eddie
I don't know man
I'm very lost right now
I still just keep thinking it's me and maybe there's another twist, but since we're putting money down, you want to put yourself back into it?
Yes, can I put myself back into it?
Hey, remember when you got mad at me?
You know what?
You can.
Okay, I'm back in.
All right, there are three people, Eddie's eliminated.
Oh, okay.
All right.
That sucks.
$20 on Amy.
So all you guys are going for Amy.
Wait, that's fine.
So I will have played this perfectly if it's lunchbox is what you guys are saying.
That's right.
Pretty much.
Well, I'd like to say.
Oh, my.
This has been a fun bit for me.
And to our audience, they have no idea.
The show's had no idea.
Even during the break, I had to tell the show.
I was like, it hurt me not to tell Eddie.
And I never asked you either.
You didn't.
Which was hard.
The person.
Oh, my gosh.
Are we shooting in Hollywood?
Are we going to some exotic location?
Hollywood.
That's why I feel my best.
Yeah.
The person.
Yes.
Come on.
Going to Hollywood.
Oh, Bobby.
Lunchbox.
How do you feel?
I feel great.
I feel great about this, baby.
Let's go.
I'm sweating.
Don't be sweating.
Amy, when you're an actor, you can't sweat on stage.
Well, I will.
You got to be cool, calm, collective.
The person getting the acting role is Amy.
I guess I'm doing.
I just, the title's just been released called lame girls.
It doesn't seem real because, yes, none of us have any acting experience.
So whoever would have been, this seems totally like not.
Like, it's really happening.
And I am sweating right now, and I feel bad for lunchbox.
I definitely been very whipped up.
Do you feel like you can act?
I don't know.
I think I can.
Well, what's the, like, what are the lines?
Okay, so, what, no, I don't, I don't, you have a lot, you have, you have a lot of lines.
I don't have your script.
I could, I could probably get your script.
Are you going to run lines with me?
Like, you've been in a movie.
I don't, how are, how do they expect us radio people to know how to do this?
But Amy will be gone for a few days next month.
We'll talk about it after this segment.
Okay.
You're free to go, but congratulations.
Thank you.
Amy has won the rule.
I'm not clapping, but I'm not clapping, but.
You put yourself back in it.
You did this to yourself.
It's so dumb.
Guys.
Amy, that's really cool.
I'm happy for you.
I'm not.
Say it.
No, no, you say it.
You know, you say, you believe it.
Okay, relax.
Let her have a moment.
I don't know.
I just did something that I've said,
and I never thought would actually really happen.
So my mind is all over the place.
And I just, now I just want to do a good job and make y'all proud.
I mean, especially representing I heart because I guess that's the part of the-
Oh, sorry, the Bobby Bone Show.
Okay, sorry, the Bobby Bone Show.
Yes, you.
Does Amy the host of the show or something?
I don't know a role.
I guess I'm telling you.
I don't know anything about it.
Okay.
But they came to me.
Okay.
Yes, I want to make the Bobby Bone Show proud.
Amy's trying to make a faceless company proud.
So we're going to.
A faceless company?
What does that mean?
Instead of your friends here.
No, I want to make y'all proud.
Thank you.
And even the listeners, too.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Congratulations, Amy.
Wait, so...
Well, I don't know.
I don't have any details.
I wish I had more.
I can probably get the script,
but you have to go soon.
You're going to go.
We're going to make sure.
I'm going to watch your kids.
Oh, you are?
Awesome.
Oh, boy.
All right.
There we go.
That concludes this.
Good, everybody.
Take a breath.
Proud of all of you.
You're all great in my mind.
All right, cool.
It's the best bits of the week.
With Morgan number two.
also with Amy this is one that was highly highly anticipated she shared several several months ago
that a package got delivered to her house but it wasn't for her and it had some crazy contents in it
and she never thought she'd actually reveal it but she ended up revealing just about a month ago
what the contents of that package were and you guys loved that it finally got revealed there
was so much buildup to it and it was a crazy story it's still a crazy story and still wild
that this happened to Amy and also one that
maybe has happened to some other people.
And just all around, I cannot believe this happened.
Number three.
I guess a year or so ago, Amy sent me a note and goes, hey, this is weird.
I got this package and it's weird and I'm scared.
Let's talk about it.
And I was like, I admire your bravery.
And she came and we were going to have a talk.
Chit chat it up, chop it up, as they say.
On the air.
Yeah.
And then I was like, you can't.
I don't feel comfortable with it.
And she goes, okay.
So we wait.
And then she asked some questions.
She's like, okay, I'm good to go now.
We come on the air.
She goes, I can't.
I've been given some advice by people with badges.
Not to talk about it yet.
I'm like, okay.
And so we know that we've kind of dragged you guys along that listen to the show.
But we've also dragged along the people that work on the show.
Because Eddie doesn't know lunchboxes is no.
No clue.
So as you guys get mad at us, just know the rest of the show is mad at us too.
I've been very annoyed with you.
Amy, you can have it because we're going to talk about it now.
But first, why do you feel comfortable now talking about it?
without revealing what it is.
I think enough time has passed by,
and it's hopefully okay.
That's really the answer is time, right?
Time does kill all gunshot wounds.
Time, and I don't know that I'll get in specifically to this detail
because I don't want to,
but I will say let's just call it a turnover of people.
Okay.
To where I'm maybe not concerned that they're even...
Turnover.
That may die.
Maybe they're not even...
No.
But maybe they're not even, you know...
Turnover of people.
sounds like
I don't know
It's a euphemism
No
That's all I did
Somebody went on vacation
Didn't come back
Like somebody went for a swim
With some fishies
Didn't come out for air
Okay so
When I tell you what it is
Don't ask me
What we did with it
That's all I ask
But how do you bury a body
That big
Come on
What was in there?
Okay Amy
Take us back in time
The day of you
Happening and it happening
What happens?
I don't
don't know where you want me to take you, so I'm just going to leave it blank.
Okay. Well, we picked up, we pick up our mail from somewhere.
Okay.
Because we have it delivered to, not to our house. So we pick up boxes. It's very normal to get
packages and whatnot. Get home with the mail and realize that inside one of the boxes.
Was it, were all the boxes with your name on it?
Yeah, but I think it was a mix-up because I think it was meant to be under someone else's name
that happened to be my same name.
Oh, interesting.
do have a very common name, Amy Brown.
Okay.
Well, yeah.
No, that's your name.
Amy.
Hey, your name's Amy Brown.
Yeah.
For the sake of this story, we'll roll with that.
Okay, go ahead.
Okay, so then we open packages like normal.
La, la, la, nothing to see here.
Weird way to open it.
La la.
Except for, oh, this is a box of heroin.
What on earth?
When you say box of heroin.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, and listen, box.
But I need to know, like, you open the box and describe what the heroin looked like.
Was it in a bag?
Google image, wrapped duct tape, I don't know, brand-wrapped bubble tape situation.
How big?
A big box.
Enough to where, if this went missing, someone's, listen, I've watched enough cartel shows.
Show me with your fists.
How big the package of heroin was.
No, like here.
There's the bricks or whatever they are.
See?
I have bad vision.
Okay.
Can you show it with your hands?
Because I can't see that.
Well, so the bricks are like this.
So if you were to do a massive, like super cheeseburger from one of those truck stop places,
dang.
That's what she did with her hands.
It's a big cheeseburger.
Right.
And then the box was like, yay big.
The only way I can describe it is big enough to where if this package is missing,
someone's losing, most would say their job over it, but I've seen enough cartel shows that there's somebody's losing their life.
And what do you think it is initially?
because I don't know what heroin looks like.
Well, there's someone at my house that kind of did know.
Listen, there's a lot of things running through our head of where this came from and why or how we ended up with it.
No, we didn't know immediately.
How many bricks?
It wasn't until later.
I don't remember how many I did.
So there was not getting about specifics and numbers of bricks.
Okay.
I'm not getting specific on really anything other than who knows.
Maybe it was multiple narcotics.
But from what the research we did, that is what it was.
but not that I'm some expert and I don't, again,
this is just something crazy that you don't want it in your hands
because for me I felt like people come looking for this kind of thing.
Did you do the thing where you dip your finger in?
No.
No.
No.
No.
Innocent people end up dying just because they happen to end up in the wrong place
at the wrong time with the wrong drugs.
Was it the kind you snort?
I don't know.
Inject, right?
Don't you inject.
I don't know why you're asking me details.
I don't either.
When all I know,
is that was what we determined.
And there was multiple adults involved and...
Well, you think the going rate was for it.
I know you Googled that.
Oh, man.
Oh, I don't know.
I don't...
I don't know the going rate.
Amy, you could have been a millionaire.
No.
You could have your own island.
Do you have a party?
No.
This is just something I wanted, like, far, far away from.
Far, far away.
Listen, then the situation was because it was from a mail place,
we got a call
that a bot
we accidentally ended up with a box
and they need those documents back.
Documents? Wait.
The heroin documents?
Well, that's what we were very confused
because we were like
this is not a box full of documents
but I think that was their code
for
Listen, so I don't know who's involved in this ring
Of how we ended up with this.
Guys, honestly I feel uncomfortable
Still talking about this. Right, so do I?
Like, I'm scared. Again, I'm not.
I don't want authorities.
to be like, I did the wrong thing with it.
I don't want the other people to think I went to the authorities.
So that is what happened.
So you're just throwing the trash?
No.
I just said, don't ask me what we did with it.
She just said don't ask her what she did with it.
And I wasn't the one that handled it.
It was, you know, I passed that along.
But yeah, it was very.
Did you take a selfie with it?
No.
That would have been cool, but that would have been like,
for sure, right?
Check it out.
Hashtag, live in life.
At the time, I think I was more scared than anything.
Yeah.
Or like, yeah.
And there was other things going on in life at the time that led to these other theories of how we ended up with it.
And then I thought that then once we got the call about the documents, we were like, oh, this is legit.
Wrong place, wrong time, wrong package.
And now we're going to die for it.
That's what I concluded.
Oh, my goodness.
That's scary because they say bring us the documents and you bring it back and that's when they.
But I'm not saying...
She's not saying what she did.
No, no, I'm saying...
That is scary to think.
Just stop saying.
Yeah, just in general say no more.
But you know how there's...
You guys don't understand what I'm saying.
There's real life situations like this,
or at least even in fictional shows
where innocent people end up
paying the price for something
they literally just had nothing to do with.
Wrong place, wrong time, yeah.
I had nothing to do.
We had nothing, my family.
Then I was nervous.
They had our...
address. There was all kinds of things.
Let me talk to John in Boston. He's an officer. Hey, John, what would you like to say about this?
Hey, John, how are you doing today? Pretty good. I appreciate you calling. Can you shed some
insight here? Yeah, so I work for a government agency in Massachusetts, and I actually work in
products. I've been doing it for a while now in large drug organizations, drug trafficking
organizations. That's actually one of the main methods of how they get their product in the U.S.
now because our borders, it's getting increasingly difficult to actually smuggle stuff over the border.
So we see a lot of people in Amy's situation where they'll get home and they'll see a package there.
And most of the time they have a good handle on like tracking of what the packages or where they're going.
But they'll pick a random address and drop off a package.
And they'll think Amy's at work and they'll come over and scoop the package off the porch.
And a lot of times we get those calls and it's multiple.
kilos of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl.
And it's actually pretty common.
They use USPS, you know, UPS, D.HL, all those companies.
And they'll actually pay someone to catch a package is what we call it.
They'll pay someone to Porch Pirate?
Yeah, yeah, they actually do.
Wow.
Hey, so.
Or they'll say, go ahead.
Yeah, I guess my question is, what happens if someone, let's say it was delivered
to my door?
And I just take it in with all my packages.
and so now I have it in my house,
but they know that a package should have been dropped off
and it's not out there.
It's probably in my house.
What happens to me then?
They write it off as a loss.
They don't break in or break.
I was holding my breath on that.
I just have a free box of cocaine.
Yeah, they rate it off as a loss 100%.
Okay.
Their taxes?
Right it off.
So what are the odds?
So, okay, that's really, really comforting.
That is so comforting to hear that hopefully this box
was written off as a loss.
But have people ever, innocent people ever been harmed?
So not that I know of, no.
No, I mean, we've actually seen, I mean, everything across the game.
We've seen heroin, Coke, meth.
We've even seen money, you know.
People, they mail their currency back or tried to.
And although mail currency to an address to pay off, you know, a drug debt.
And people open up the box and see this money wrapped, obviously, in a way.
that currency normally isn't packaged, and they'll call us up and say, hey, this is really
concerning, and it's legitimately a loss for the drug trafficking organizations.
There's just so much product that they mail out.
So if I...
This is really good to hear.
Let's say they drop off a box of the H in my house.
It's a big box, and I open it and I see it.
Should I call the cops or should I just throw it up on Craigslist?
Oh, yeah, 100% call you the local law enforcement agency, and they'll probably tell you
the same stuff I'm telling you that, you know, it's, they just pick, a lot of times they pick
random addresses or addresses where they think people are at work during the daytime, and then
they'll have their tracking information. And as soon as that package is delivered, they'll have
a runner go over and scoop that package right up. That's crazy. Have you, you know, you said sometimes
they'll pay people off. Like, what, uh, what about people that work in the mail business? Are they
ever on the inside? So I can't comment on that, but,
Yeah, I'm not, I'm going to let that one.
We like it.
That's all we're going to hold you to do, is no comments.
I'm all about no commenting.
What's too late for?
You're really not.
It's absolutely the opposite of what you stand for is no comment.
I'm not going to ask.
You stand for all comments, but in this situation, you're trying to be a little better.
Yes.
Hey, John, we really appreciate that call.
Thank you for spending a few minutes with us and shedding some light on that.
Because we kid, but Amy West scared for a long time.
Yeah.
And that's good for people to know.
And that's just interesting to see how that works.
So thank you.
All right.
All right.
See you buddy.
And thanks for, you know, risking your life out there doing that.
That is the job that I do not have the Cajonaz to do.
Man, this is crazy.
I'll tell you what, Amy, this is worth the weight.
Like, I thought it was going to be something letdown, but this is good, even though you didn't answer my questions.
You got a box up, man.
Wow.
Bring it in.
We have it.
Bring it in.
Oh, seriously?
No, I'm kidding.
Oh, can you imagine?
Spin the wheel.
Like, why would we spin the wheel?
Let's see if it's real.
That's funny.
Oh, it was heroin.
That's what it was heroin.
heroin. I would have known meth. I've seen
I don't know heroin. I don't know. I haven't
seen any drugs. Like, we were just on Google.
Yeah. Two
things that are always accurate. Well, three.
Google, WebMD,
and Wikipedia.
Wikipedia. That's it. Always.
It's the best bits of the week
with Morgan number two.
There's two golden
rules that any man should
live by. Rule one,
never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get
stupid prizes. And Rule 2, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your
girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, oh my God, this is the same
man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got
hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they
take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I've been.
I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.

I'm Ago Wodam.
My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman,

and the Big Money Players Network.
It's Will Ferrell.
Woo, woo, woo, woo, who.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
I went and had lunch with the
one day and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that
means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through and I know it's a place
that come, look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't
worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're
banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it
written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right. It wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.

I doctored the test ones. It took
an army of internet detectives to crack
the case. I wanted people to be able to see

Unfortunately for me at this number two spot, this is one that I'm.
all of you guys really connected with, whether personally or via someone else, however you
want to say it, it is my relationship news that I shared earlier this year that I was
newly single and no longer with the partner that I had. And so there's been, you know,
lots of updates since this one happened back in June. But when I shared those news, it was very
emotional. And I thought I was ready to share it and I ended up crying. So maybe that's why
A lot of you guys really felt connected to it, but it did come in with the most engagement at our number two spot.
So I'm sharing it, even though it feels a little weird for me to be sharing this one right now, especially because it, this is like a couple months, six months, five months or so ago now.
But I got to be authentic to the fact that you guys really engaged and connected and felt empowered with this story.
So I'm sharing it here now for you all to relive, though I am.
So I'm not listening right now.
Number two.
Well, we have some unfortunate news to address.
Morgan, I'm going to come over to you,
and I'll just let you say what you want to say.
Oh, God.
I didn't know she was going to get emotional.
Oh, no.
I'm trying really hard not to, but my boyfriend and I are no longer together.
Oh, man.
I think I didn't know.
You're getting emotional.
Sorry about that.
I know you said we could mention it today.
You'd get it over with.
Yeah, I'm ready to move forward.
Well, so obviously we're not going to extract everything from it.
I guess the only question is it seemed like pretty recently you guys were talking about moving in together.
That's a quick week and a half or so.
Yep.
I mean, I guess I was hopeful that things were going to be really great and it was going to stay on that path.
But you know, you can't dictate what happens in somebody's life and how they respond to it.
So it's not something I wanted and I'm just trying to survive right now.
That's just one foot forward.
Amy, any advice for Morgan?
I mean, I want to get up and give her a hug.
I mean, we're here for you, Morgan.
And like, thank you for sharing that with us.
I obviously was, I was like, wait, what is happening?
I thought she was about to say she was leaving the show or something.
No, no.
I was surprised too because it was like, hey, my boyfriend, I brought.
up. So that meant it's free to talk about. And so I was like, hey, bad news. Well, yeah, you would
never intentionally like be like, oh, tell me something bad coming out. Morgan is too past the hour.
Heartbroken. I'm going to make her say this. But I don't know. It's so cliche, but I have been
so heartbroken before Morgan, too. I mean, but time, like you said, one day at a time,
taking that next right step for you. And we're here for you in this process. I know that it's so hard
and I'm so sorry.
Especially sharing as much as you do on the air.
That's another layer of it too is we try to share what's going on in our lives.
And I'm sure, and Morgan said she's like, well, amazing.
A week and a half ago I was saying we might live together.
And now I'm saying we're broken up.
Like that sucks.
Did you, let's see, did you expect to get as emotional right now?
Because sometimes when I'm about talking about stuff, it'll just hit me like a ton of bricks.
And I'm like, yeah, I'm good to go.
And I'm like, whoa!
And you start to lose it.
Yeah, no.
And I sat.
on it for a bit to try to avoid that, but I can't help it because I'm just really sad. I'm
angry. I'm feeling so many emotions, so I knew bringing it up was going to hurt, but I can't,
you know, I can't keep having people reach out and ask how we're doing. Oh, that's the worst,
yeah. Or casually, that's what happens here. So she needs to air it here because we might next
something, it'd be like, so when y'all moving in? Totally. Well, every time I was even asking her about,
it's like, hey, you guys still together, right? And then I just kind of gave up on that because
She kept going, yeah.
And so I was like, okay, fine.
So I'm glad that you told me, because I for sure were just fired it.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
What can we do to help you?
Bobby, Bobby, tell a funny story.
Oh, here's a good one, right?
Do you want to laugh?
Okay, well, I will not poke in pride, but are you, is it over over?
I mean, I don't know.
I never want to say it's over over, but, you know, my, my heart wants that again, and I would still hope for that.
I think the universe has a way of doing what needs to be done, even if you don't see it at the time.
So I'm just trying to have belief in that.
I don't have a lot of answers.
It was just like he needed space to heal from past trauma, and I couldn't fix that.
And I can't try.
I can't try to hold on to something that doesn't want to be held on to as much as I would want to.
Well, I'm very sorry to hear this.
I think in a month, you will look back and go, wow, that was crazy when we were broken up.
Or, you know what, that probably needed to happen.
And now emotionally, I'm out of it enough to realize it was probably the best thing for our independent situations.
But yeah, it sucks.
I ain't going to like it.
It just sucks.
It's pretty miserable.
That's it.
One hour to the next, one day to the next.
And eventually it's one week to the next.
It starts to get a little easier.
But all right, well, that's it.
If you see me in my Taylor Swift's face, just mind your business.
She's up there listening to all Taylor Swift's that song.
Lunchbox, anything?
Man, I'm sorry, I'm too.
I think maybe going public with the...
But she didn't really go public.
No, no, no, with the moving in together,
he kind of got scared, I think,
and then also, can I say what I'm frustrated about?
Yeah.
No, I don't know.
I don't know.
This gives her the early lead for Employee of the Month
for sharing this on the air.
Oh, that's true.
She set this out.
That's good.
No, what if this isn't real?
And this is Employee of the Month.
Just so she gets it.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
We get employee of the month for sharing super vulnerable personal stuff outside.
I'm going to divorce, bones.
Everybody starts like doing the craziest life stuff.
I wish.
I wish this was fake, y'all.
Morgan, we are very sorry.
You know, tougher things have happened to weaker people and they got through it just fine.
It sucks right now.
You're going to be great in the end regardless of what happens.
I promise you.
And we're here for you.
Yeah, we're here for you.
From the hours of 5 to 11 a.m.
I didn't know how it's up.
I'm kidding.
I got one more question.
Did he get jealous that we dance on TikTok?
Is that what it was?
Oh, that could be it.
You don't have nothing to do with his past trauma.
I'm just making a shirt.
I just want to make a shirt because if my girl was hanging on a guy like you, really masculine.
Exactly.
Some of those dances were a little risque.
They were, yeah.
Just making sure.
All right, Morgan, we're sorry to hear that.
It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two.
And in at that number one spot, it is Bobby.
and he shared a skit that he did at his comedically inspirational show about the CMA Awards,
and he got a lot of threats to be canceled.
And it was a whole thing that happened.
And he kind of slowly revealed different parts of that story and what happened.
And this was a really big engaged with segment from the show this year.
This was one that you guys were curious about, wanted to know what was happening.
You showed a lot of support for Bobby.
Just in general, this was big across all of our platforms.
And one that is also interesting.
considering the place we're in right now in society where cancel culture is a really big thing.
And Bobby's been very outspoken about how he does not really like cancel culture and what it does.
So all of this was a big segment and one that there's a reason.
It came in at the number one spot.
So in case you missed it, here it is.
This is where it all began.
Number one.
I did a comedy show and in the comedy show about a week and a half ago, I said, hey, if I were hosting the CMAs, this would be my monologue.
They've never let me host the CMAs, so I'm just going to do it now.
and had about a thousand people in the crowd and they were awesome and we just acted like we were at the
CMAs we put all the all the digital boards I came out introduction and I just started going in
and I started making fun of everybody and not malicious but I just being hilarious I thought hilarious
and so somebody recorded it from the crowd and they'd sent it to a few people and I started
to get some threats and like hey if you release this either physically or we're going to cancel you
la la la la la so I haven't released it I've released a couple of the jokes that were
tame on my TikTok
at Mr. Bobby Bones. But I want to get our boss
on, who's head of all of country music,
and get his feedback because I just sent him the video to watch
like 15 minutes ago. He hadn't seen it.
All right, this is Rod Phillips, the head of
country music here. You watch the video, what you think?
Number one, I mean, it's funny.
For sure. Yeah, thank you.
For sure. For sure.
Go ahead.
I don't know where this conversation is going. Let's start with it's funny,
and there's other
commentary, but what's
up. If I released the whole video, am I going to be canceled? Canceled? No, but there's definitely some
insider stuff that is sort of, you know, we know about things that maybe isn't just top of mind,
even if you're what that's about. I mean, you think I shared things that the general public
doesn't know in my comedy act when talking about country artists? Probably didn't share,
but probably not things they think of depending on which, you know, which artists you show,
Let's all it made fun of.
And look, my mentality is let's all make fun of each other all time.
Roast.
So I'm fine with it, but not everybody is fine with it, which is probably your concern about,
are in some of the jokes and are people going to get upset about it.
If I were to do that and I was hosting the CMAs,
would it not be the funniest CMA monologue in the history of the CMA monologue?
Listen, I'll go back to the beginning.
I mean, it was legit funny.
I think that with the CMA show, there's a lot of that.
that shows comments are natural.
There were others that probably went deeper that not everybody would think was funny if it was them.
It's funny unless it's a few, right?
Yeah, yeah, but I'm okay.
I like people making fun of me because I feel like if anyone takes a few minutes to make fun of me on a stage,
that means I'm important enough to me made fun of.
And this town, this format takes us way too seriously.
Don't we agree, everybody?
Yeah.
It's like old crotchetties that are 25 to 40 years old.
That being said, which artist do you think I'd,
probably went a little too hard on in your opinion.
Well, the stuff that probably won't go over well
if you're with that person that chase.
The rest of it, I think, was fine.
I might be forgetting one.
Those are the two that stand out.
You agree with me, by the way.
I am curious.
I feel the one I was most...
And I was just going to put it out
and just deal with the consequences.
But like 80 people were like, no, no.
And then I started to go people going,
hey, we're going to leak it and you're going to get in trouble.
But the Morgan Wallin joke at the beginning,
I didn't think was over the line, but I thought it would definitely stir some people up.
Yeah, you know, too soon.
Oh, I like that one.
It was funny.
Yeah, I like that one.
It's funny. It's funny.
So what do you think if I just released the whole video?
What?
Like, does it again?
Nowhere.
No, no, no.
Somebody has a recording from the show, and it's been spread around.
So I said, okay, well, if somebody's going to have it and threaten me to release it,
I'm going to produce my own version of it.
And if it ever gets released, I'm just going to load mine up instead.
And if they have to watch it, at least they can watch it in full context with camera angles and laughs and stuff.
Do you think I should release it yes or no?
Man, now you put me out the spot.
If you were me, would you put it out?
Has everybody else voted?
No, I never asked them, because they're all going to say yes.
They just wanted to see Rome Burn.
No, not burn, just have a little fun.
Listen, you just asked me if I were you, would I put it out.
If I were you, I would put it out, but that's my job.
Are we sure that's where it should go?
You should put it out, but should we put it out?
is it. It's funny, but everybody knows you're funny. So, do highlight CMA? Probably not. Do CMA? Probably not. It doesn't help.
We need an answer. You're known for your decisions. You're one of the highest ranking executives in the company. You are often credited for making quick decisions at an elite level. Yeah, I've heard that. Yes, constantly. That's what is Wikipedia says. What do you say, yes or no?
In my great spot, our country is a giant thing we have to pay attention to. So I have to be more, say don't put it out.
But if I'm Bobby, because you could be a little more transparent, you can put it out.
I wouldn't.
I wouldn't say, yeah, let's put that out.
Okay, I think he's saying.
Put it out.
He's sending a message that says, Bobby, put it out yourself, but I can't be on air saying that.
Yes, he is saying, I think you should.
That's stretched.
Now we're stretching.
No, no, no, no.
That's what you say.
Okay, this is our, I'll let you go.
I know you've got a lot of big decisions to make.
You're high-ranking executive, making a lot of decisions.
I'm holding up time right now.
So what you're saying is wink, wink, wink, nudge.
And I got it.
I hear it.
I hear the wink, wink, wink, nudge, nudge to the phone.
What I'm saying is, if I'm having a bad part of my day today, I'm going to go back and watch
the video because it's funny.
Okay.
There he is.
He said no officially.
We heard him.
That's Rod Phillips, our big boss.
All right, Rod.
Thank you very much.
Hope you have an awesome day.
Sweat.
Okay.
Well, have a great day.
Thank you for your time.
All right.
I see.
There he is.
All right.
Well.
So what are you going to do?
I don't know.
I come off confused.
I know.
You know what to do.
I don't really.
I think it does help the CMAs.
One, you're talking about it.
Because the CMAs are coming up in a few days.
I think it's the greatest promotion ever.
Secondly, I think it...
It probably doesn't help me host it.
But who cares?
They're never going to let me host it anyway.
It might.
What if someone listening is like, it's so funny.
They've blackballed me already.
You can't get any worse.
What's a difference?
Right, right.
You can only go up from me.
Eddie, you know what I say?
Put it out.
Put it out.
Put it out.
Come on, Amy.
Put it out.
Hold on.
I'm thinking of the people that
If you're the person, if you really can't take a joke, like, and their feelings are hurt.
I've already been told someone's going to beat me up.
Other people, yeah.
And that means they're hurting because hurt people, hurt people.
Yeah, yeah.
And I don't want to be hurt by.
I'm sure the internet has said worse things about them than this.
This isn't bad.
I'm just saying.
Is it with a disclaimer?
This is just a joke?
Nope.
Well, yeah, it's called comedy.
It's just a joke.
It's the best bits of the week.

When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist,
they take matters into their own hands.
I vowed I will be his last target.
He is not going to get away

appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the
test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd
been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Rancini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young.

But if you ever reach a point
where you're banging your head
against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore,
it's okay to quit. If you saw it written
down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar
of, you know,
the cat, just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.
Yeah.
