This is an I-Heart podcast.
Guaranteed Human.
In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins.
But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax.
You doctored this particular test twice in so much, correct?
I doctored the test once.
It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern.
Two more men who'd been through the same thing.
Greg Gillespie and Michael Ranchini.
My mind was blown.
I'm Stephanie Young.
this is Love Trapped.

When a group of women discover
they've all dated the same prolific con artist,
they take matters into their own hands.
I vowed, I will be his last target.
He is not going to get away with this.
He's going to get what he deserves.
We always say, you know, trust your girlfriends.
Listen to the girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.

What's up, everyone?
I'm Ego Vodom.
My next guest, it's Will Ferrell.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
He goes, just give it a shot.
But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore,
it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on
a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be
that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your

What's up, everybody? Happy Fourth of July weekend. Excited to be
and hanging out with y'all.
I hope everybody's staying safe already.
But before we dive into the best bits this week,
I want to remind y'all check out part one this weekend.
Eddie was on with me and it was super fun.
We got really serious there for a minute.
We also talked about our favorite things about 4th of July,
some big changes that have happened in our life,
if there are any bad omens and, you know, just a lot of fun stuff.
The conversations with Eddie are always great, so check that out.
But for now, we're going to talk about the biggest segments from our show this week.
It was a good one.
Lunchbox wants the show to have a drive off because apparently Amy and I are really bad drivers and he doesn't know which one's worse.
So he has brought a challenge to the table and we'll see how that all happens and when that happens for that matter.
But I do think he might be in last, at least I hope.
Number seven. Lunchbox won't stop talking about riding in cars with both Morgan and being around Amy.
Like it's this new thing to talk about.
We don't have a water cooler, but water cooler talk.
He's like, they're both so terrible at driving.
You know what I call that?
What?
Desperation.
For what?
He's just desperate for stuff to say.
Yeah, but that's him.
That's what he does.
No.
Is this just a bit so you can get on the air?
No.
Is it valid, good bits that, like, you're like, oh, that actually is kind of good.
We should do that.
Well, what he suggested was a driver test between you and Morgan with a professional driver.
Okay.
Yes, because I've ridden with Morgan like three times in the last couple of weeks, and it is scary.
Amy, I used to ride with you, and we took trips all the way from here to Austin, and I would be scared to take a nap.
Because you were driving and I was like, oh, man, I can't, I can't nap.
If you're scared to nap while someone's driving on an interstate, that's crazy.
Yeah, like, scary.
Stop.
And so I get in the car with Morgan, and she does, she holds on the phone.
She looks at the map.
Won't let me hold it.
The last time I got in the car with her, she has that big duck.
And then she hits a curb.
And I said, a curb when she's taking a right-hand turn, she goes.
But you said it afterward?
Well, after she hit the curb.
Yeah, yeah.
And she goes, oh, no, that was just a great.
I'm like, no, that wasn't a great.
And then an email comes in and she checks it while she's driving.
I'm like, what are we doing here, people?
I swiped it away from the map.
Did you take a nap?
No.
No, no, no, no, no.
You're never getting rides again, ever.
Just letting you know.
I thought, man, we got to have a driver off.
We got to find out who is the worst driver.
I'm good.
We gave Amy a hard time.
Morgan might beat her.
By beating her, do you mean lose to her?
Yes.
Hey, Scoo of Steve.
So my idea is, it's not just Amy v. Morgan.
It's Amy v. Morgan, v. Eddie, v. lunchbox.
All of us?
You all take.
take the test.
Bring it.
Because then I don't know that they're both
bad drivers and it could be just huge.
She hit a curb.
It was a great.
And she said, oh, that was a great.
It was a great.
No, no.
You don't go booboop off a grate.
Yes, you do it a Jeep.
Lunchbox, you've never hit a curb.
I mean, I haven't hit a grate in a long time.
You know how many bottles and grates are in Nashville.
The roads are not good.
I don't know.
Were you just looking for bits?
I can drive you to the street corner and you can show me where this great is.
Okay, scuba.
Yeah, what do you want to do?
If we could get a driving.
instructor and like a course. I mean, is there, do they have courses or anything here that you take
like a test? I mean, my daughter's literally taking her driver's test in like a week and a half.
With a guy, I don't know. But it's like we find somebody who can do it. We set up some stuff.
They have people that have that where they have the two wheels in the car.
parallel parking. Yeah. No, it's through a private. Running from police. Yes. Oh, I like that.
Ramps. There's all these categories. Is a hazard. Can we figure out something? Because I have
a feeling Mr. Petty over here thinks he's
a lot better driver than he is. Maybe
he would lose or maybe he would win. Well, apparently
he's never hit a curb. That's what he says, yeah.
Yeah, when I'm driving, I don't hit curves
when I'm taking a right hand. Yeah, when you're taking a right-hand turn?
Never. I'm saying, have you ever hit a curb? Yes or right?
Okay, so the odds of
me being in the car and that's the one random
curve she hit in her whole life. It wasn't.
A curve was a great. Oh my gosh, it wasn't.
So this is what we're dealing
with. You also have the crappiest car of all.
All of us.
No, no.
Right, my car's crappy, but guess what?
You've taken the least care of it.
So that also says something about your character with driving, so I'm just putting that out there.
Morgan, my car would not last 18 years if I was a bad driver.
Because you see big dents.
But you don't take care of your, I mean, you do, the inside of your car, you've always been pig pen from Troy Brown.
That's fine.
But I'm talking about the outside.
I don't hit things.
I don't get in wreck.
Well, she drove over a grade, apparently.
I can't wait to go to that street corner and take a picture of this great.
I am going to go out.
You're not going to drive 30 minutes away where I'm.
That's not what we're doing.
We don't care about the grate or the grape or the curb or the curve.
We don't care about any of that.
I'll show your tire mark on there.
What we care about is to see if we can have some sort of driving tests that everybody can take and see who the best driver is, Scoobo Steve.
We can do that, yeah.
It doesn't have to be tomorrow.
It can be two, three, four weeks.
It doesn't matter.
Okay.
But whatever, if everybody takes it, would you guys be willing to take it?
Yeah.
I'm in.
Amy's still like, uh-oh.
Well, I just feel like it's ridiculous, but okay.
That's a fun bit.
If you beat him.
If you be him.
How's the, what's the, I guess we need to know the grading process.
No, you don't.
You got to pass the test.
What if we all top?
Well, it's the highest jump off the ramp.
Right.
So if we all pass, we're good.
It's who drives the best with their knees while eating.
I can do that.
I'm good at that.
Who's the worst driver on the show, though?
Say it now and it's going down on record.
I'm not going to take part of the test.
I don't claim to be a very great driver.
I'm a slow driver, but I think I'm okay.
But I'm not bragging.
I'm out of the test because I will be sitting here while you guys do it.
Amy.
Lunchbox.
You think he's the worst. Lunchbox.
Oh, no, it's going to be Amy, but it's going to be close.
Eddie?
I haven't seen Morgan, so I'm going Amy.
Okay, whatever.
I've seen that.
Morgan?
Lunchbox.
Okay, there you have it?
Let's play.
Are they just saying that?
Yeah, they're out of anger.
They're angry.
Y'all just said things?
You better back up. You better be the best driver.
If you're sitting here criticizing what we do, you better be the best driver of all of us.
I will be.
If you're and if you are, that's hilarious.
I told you.
And if he's not, that's hilarious too.
It's the best.
of the week with Morgan number two.
We had Old Dominion on the show this week and Bobby asked them to write him a love song.
Not only did that happen, but they talked about touring with Kenny Chesney, some new music,
and hopefully one day we will get a love song that Old Dominion wrote for Bobby to sing.
Number six.
I got Matthew and Trevor here on.
Hey guys.
What's up?
Hey.
We got lots of stuff.
First of all, I want to talk about something that I see a lot.
I've not seen it with you guys.
And actually the picture I'm looking at of you guys, you're not doing this.
So this is a perfect reason to ask it because I'm not picking.
on you, but picking on bands in general. Why in most band pictures are bands looking different
directions? What's happening in all the different directions in band pictures where that's a thing?
You're just really tired of being with each other.
Band pictures are picky, man. There's not much different you can do. But I'm telling you,
like the picture that is on my desk here now, all of you guys are looking forward, like a normal
picture where someone says, hey, guys, want to take a picture to look. But a lot of band pictures,
like someone's looking at the right, someone's looking at Haley's Comet, there's a worm on the
ground for another member. Why do you think just generally, because that's a pretty common thing,
and I'm sure if we look back at your pictures, you've done this too at some point. Why do you think
that was a thing? I think, you know what I think it is? I think it's because it's really tough.
The more people you get in a group, it's really tough to get a good face on everybody. So if everybody's
looking somewhere else, there's a better chance that one person who's looking at the camera
gives you the good face, and it doesn't matter what everybody else is doing.
I'll accept that and move on.
Next,
Lunchbox saw one of you guys recording yourself playing golf.
Which one was it?
That one.
Oh, that's probably Brad.
Yeah, Brad.
Well, Lunchbox just pointed it and said that.
That one.
You're pointing at the screen in front of you.
I'm pointing at the screen.
Yeah, don't know names.
Okay, so it's not Trevor or Matthew.
No.
Okay.
No.
That one.
He said that Brad showed up with a camera and set it all up,
like a full, you know,
influencers and then recorded himself at the driving range,
hitting golf balls from different angles.
And which I didn't hate.
I mean, he just wants to get better at golf.
But is he generally the guy that likes to be on camera?
Is he just a big golfer?
I think he's just a big golfer.
I've never seen somebody be so dedicated at something to be so pretty good at it.
That's hilarious.
Dang, dang.
That's hilarious and I like it.
Yeah.
We're going to play a little song by you guys here and we'll come back in a second.
But the current single that is now, I believe it's top five.
We're going to do this first.
It's memory.
Lane and the Memory Lane EP is out now. But I don't know, you guys, both of you guys wrote this song,
also with Brad and Jesse Joe Dylan. So I'm always curious about where did this start? Who had it
in their phone? Who had a couple lines? Like how did this song come together?
It was actually Brad had the little guitar lick and that beat going when we showed up to his house.
And I think Jesse Joe actually had the title memory lane, but she didn't really know.
you know, anything past that.
And we just sort of started riffing on it.
And somebody said, you know, if I can buy a house on memory lane,
and then it kind of zapped us all into this world
where we were all suddenly on our own little, you know,
journey in our minds, I think.
And we were just kind of all reminiscing.
And it kind of went line by line from that point.
It wasn't like we were trying to write around
some sort of hook like we do sometimes.
We were truly just kind of in it emotionally
and seeing where we could go with it.
you were talking a second ago about Memory Lane and maybe Jesse, Joe Dylan,
had come in with a song title.
I have a song title.
I just,
I haven't written it with the right people yet.
You guys may not know me.
I do a little comedy music,
a little thing.
You know,
maybe I do a little thing.
They ain't in an Old Dominion.
We've heard,
we've heard.
Yeah,
although we did use to play after Old Dominion,
back when they were babies,
you know what I mean?
Oh,
yeah, they've surpassed us.
Don't worry.
They've far surpassed us at this point.
I don't want to brag.
But I got a title.
It's a love song,
and it's called Breakfast
for dinner. I don't think you should eat breakfast for dinner and I don't want to eat two meals.
If I'm eating and my wife's having breakfast, I don't want to have lunch. We can't do that.
But I'll do everything for you, including have breakfast for dinner. So if you guys don't mind writing that and send it back to me and making me one third the writer and it's got to be funny, that's cool.
Have at it. Man, that's a lot of parameters. You're going to get a full third for that.
I gave you the whole idea and the inspiration of it. I mean, what else is true. I mean, that's, that happens. I mean, I'm already sure.
What I would do is go, like, I'm having beer for breakfast.
breakfast and breakfast for dinner.
I don't drink beer.
That's what I would do.
Or I could have, see, it's like all the things I never thought I would do because I love her so much.
Like I never thought I would remember to put the toilet seat down.
You know, I thought I never would, I would never buy furniture that I didn't have to put together, like to buy something.
And I do whatever.
Oh, take a break from work.
Yeah, go on vacation or not worry about always being thinner.
And for you, I'd do anything, even have breakfast for dinner.
You know, it's kind of like that situation.
I see where you're going with that.
All of those things sound like sacrifices.
Breakfast for dinner sounds like a cop-out, but I think...
But I hate breakfast for dinner.
But that's the thing you're missing.
Really?
There's no way...
I should never have eggs afternoon.
I have eggs every meal.
And I would never, after 6 p.m., eat cereal.
with a spoon. See, follow me. We're doing cat in the hat rhymes here for songs. And I do anything. So
feel free to finish it and send it back. And then we'll see what happens. You know, like sometimes
in a writing session when we're all sitting around throwing around ideas, you know, you come in and
you're like, this is my idea. And you know, you've thought it through and you pitch it to the guys.
And everybody goes, you know, I have this idea, which basically means that idea was not. That idea was
not going to be written that day. And I feel like we might be in one of those situations.
Well, I have this idea. The interview's over. Oh, wow. Yeah. No, I mean, we all got great ideas here
today, don't we boys? Yeah. How about that? To be fair, you know, we wrote a song called Song for
another time. And I pitched that idea to about 10 different writers and they all shot it down. So,
maybe we're just not the people for it. I guess you're not. Maybe we are, though. I don't know.
I'm going to get back to you on this. Thanks. See? The wheels are turn.
Trevor knows. And I'm going to tell you what, Matt, when Trevor goes solo, you think you know who's going to be up here doing his promotion?
Trevor, and you know who ain't getting invited? Matthew Ramsey. So, stuck on that egg.
All right, look, they got some stupid music out today. It came out on Friday. Who gives a crap? I'm just kidding.
Okay, look, you know, I'm a massive fan. Like, I couldn't be a bigger fan of you guys' music in general. You write excellent hooks, but also the songs.
Always have depth unless you purposefully go, we didn't want this song to have depth. Like, I just said,
I'm such a fan of your music.
And this EP that you put out, it's the Memory Lane EP.
Why an EP, which means EP for those that are out there listening, it's eight, I mean,
it is eight songs.
It's almost a full record.
Why not like 12, 18 songs?
Why not like a bunch of stuff?
Because we're just not done with it yet.
So the rest of it's coming.
Oh, so it'll be part of the whole thing.
Yeah, it's part of a larger project.
We actually just got a text this morning with some updated mixes and stuff.
So we have actually a lot more music that we're working on, that, that we're working on.
that will be out sooner than later.
That's a good answer.
I'm just still a little hurt by the whole
where not the guys for you.
I know a lot of songwriters in this town.
You guys will never write in this town again.
Oh.
I do want to play.
We're going to come back with that for one more little deal here.
But what is all your number one singles here?
Because I have all of them.
Which one for you guys?
Are you like, man, we've played this so many times
that you can just play it by heart
where you almost don't even have.
to think.
All of them.
For me,
none of them.
For me,
I'm always like,
yeah,
you have to sing.
Do I remember this song?
Any prompter?
You ever use a prompter?
No,
no prompter yet.
But I can see that in my future.
But I've definitely had to have,
you know,
lyrics take to the ground before,
but that's usually when we're playing something new
that I want to,
you know,
make sure I remember.
But with the hits and stuff,
I get,
if I don't think about it too much,
I'll be okay.
But you can also, like, luckily with a hit, the crowd will take over for you if you need to.
Matthew, a question for you first.
Has your insurance gone up just generally?
I did get a, I did get a suspicious call from our business manager suggesting that I up my life insurance policy for some reason.
Can you, like, walk us through your last couple to few injuries?
Oh, my God.
Well, the last couple where I fell off a ladder a couple years ago and broke the rib, punctured the lung.
tore a ligament.
And then just recently rolled a side-by-side UTV thing and broke my pelvis in three
spit places.
So I think I should be good for another couple of years now.
Yeah, it's funny because our business manager called all of us and said maybe we should
spend less, just in case.
Just in case he spends all the money.
Yeah.
I don't know where that was coming.
Just the case the cash flow dried up suddenly.
Yeah.
That's funny.
Interesting.
You guys are out and again, you guys are excellent live.
It's No Bad Vibes, 2023 tour.
We got a lot of great artists that are coming out in various states with you guys.
My question for you guys is, how do you look for openers?
What do you look for whenever you put people on a show with you?
Man, it's been really tough because it used to be, you know, just looking for someone who was available.
Everyone's so busy.
So we used to try to find somebody that could do the entire tour and that really limited us.
And when it came time, this time, we started to do.
do that. And then we thought, well, man, why don't we just find people that we like and people
that our fans will like that can just do maybe a couple of shows and see if we can put the
pieces of the puzzle together like that? So, you know, yeah, we just try to find something that
will be, you know, it's the no bad vibes store. So we're trying to find good vibes and happy
energy and, you know, artists that can support that. And I feel like we got it. Trevor, let's end
on this. Give me a good Kenny Chesney story of something hanging out with Kenny where, you know,
you just live in life or you're back, you know, in between shows.
Give me a Kenny Chesney nugget to end with.
Hmm.
Well, let's see.
There's so many.
Let me think of one I can tell.
You know, it's always fun is doing the ice bath.
This is the one thing that it's a little behind the scenes that people don't realize he travels with an ice bath.
So it was fun.
You know, I was out there with a couple of my kids.
and I got to torture my kids a little bit by sinking them in the ice bath and watching Kenny Chesney lean and whisper into their air for a couple minutes and talk them through it.
So that was an interesting behind the scenes moment.
That's pretty G-rated there.
I like it.
We made it mad this weekend.
A couple of us were in Key West.
And we were out on a boat and we kept face-timing him.
He was like, stop facetiming me.
I cannot answer it right now.
He's probably doing his own beach.
He's doing his own beach living.
Guys, love you guys.
Love the music.
Good luck.
And hopefully we'll, I'm sure we'll see you soon.
All right.
And don't forget, breakfast for dinner.
You got my number.
Hey.
All right.
Feel better, man.
All right.
There's like,
it's like, all right.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like when you sit someone at a party and you really want to go away to the next person,
you're like, all right.
Well, all right, there they are.
Oh, Dominion.
Bye, guys.
I like breakfast for dinner.
See you guys.
See you.
The Best Bits of the Week with Morgan number two.
I shared a really sketchy situation with an Uber driver that happened.
Basically, I was almost murdered or kidnapped, or I just had a really strange interaction with another human.
We don't know, but it was really weird, and that's what this bit is.
Right now, I'm just going to say that I'm very thankful to still be with you all today.
Number five.
So I'm going to ask you guys, do you think Morgan was just seconds away from being murdered?
No.
No, you don't know the story.
I was like, I doubt it.
No, no, you don't know.
Listen to this.
Because I don't know that Morgan, tell these guys what happened to you.
Okay, so I had a super strange Uber ride to the airport.
I was just going, getting my regular Uber ride.
And about 10 minutes out from the airport, the Uber driver looks back.
I mean, he told me that he has a friend he needs to pick up that also needs to go to the airport.
Okay.
And so I'm kind of sitting there like, okay, well, it's about to happen.
He's like, so can I go pick him up?
Is that okay?
Like out of the way.
Out of the way.
I was already like, I was in my regular timing that I needed to get to the airport.
And so I'm sitting there and I kind of think about it for a second.
I'm like, I feel like this is how I die.
If I say yes, this is how somebody comes in and this is how I die.
Because you'll say like, hey, accept this on your phone that says I can go over here.
She pushes except and nothing out of the normal has happened.
Okay.
Takes her to a house, locks her in a room, tortures or kills her.
Wow.
But before she told her story, I was like, no way.
Morgan was about to be killed.
Morgan was about to be killed.
I am 100% changing my stance from the beginning of this to this point.
You are about to be killed.
There is no way you should accept that change.
Absolutely not.
If he does it, you needed to show you went off course.
Oh, no, you were about to get dead.
That's what I thought too.
Like whatever was about to happen wasn't good because he should have worked out with his buddy or went to pick him up after.
Or asked you beforehand.
No, no, no.
Never.
Never even then.
What'd you say?
Well, I just used the excuse.
I was like, well, if you do that, then Morgan's out.
it on and then I have to pay more money so I'm going to say no because if they go out of a
different route it can add on and they can tack on more money and I was like I just can't do that
and I'm going to be late to my my airplane and he kind of got frustrated and kind of like scoffed a
little bit at me and he's like okay and so the the last 10 minutes of that ride I mean I was
texting my mom like this is where I'm at did you feel like you were in danger yes I thought that's a
weird thing to ask me away yeah can I take you to a different place than you what you've
asked for do you report this person to Uber like did you
Did you, like, write a review saying, yo, this tried to, he tried to take me to a different spot.
Seems shady.
Like, I don't know.
I haven't yet.
Honestly, I'm just afraid.
Like, I'm just trying to ignore the fact that it happened because I feel if I involve him again, he knows where I live.
Yes.
That's why I would be nervous about.
Ray, you drove Uber for a second.
Oh, yeah.
Dude, did you ever, first of all, your thoughts on this?
You're definitely not allowed to do that.
What he's doing is totally against protocol.
You can get fired for that.
So, can you tell where people live?
Is it staying like a database, their name and their address?
It does not stay on a database, but you could easily write it down.
He's going to see the address first time he picked him up.
If he is a creep, then he would have jotted it down.
Like he would have gone there and then just remembered it?
But it's not going to be in his phone for any reason.
It'll show up on his phone, your address.
Because when you're arguing with him with apartment number, he says this apartment number shows it.
So everything shows up on the Uber app.
I guess does it stay there after you leave?
No.
I could never search old rides.
So he would have to like see her.
Then write it down because it's not going to remain in his phone.
Yes.
What would you recommend somebody do if this happens to them?
All you got to do is report it and the person will get let go.
Anything weird.
They pick up a friend.
If there's just a friend chilling in their car, not allowed to do it.
If it's the incorrect car, not allowed to do that.
There's a lot of stuff that can get you fired.
Dang.
I'd have been scared.
Yeah, I mean, not to bring up a sad story,
but there was a story down in Texas where this lady was in an Uber just recently
and she thought the guy was kidnapping her and taking her to Mexico.
And she pulled out a gun and shot him.
What?
Well, you said not to bring up a sad story, but then you did bring up a sad story.
Yeah, but that's like saying, hey, no offense, you're ugly.
But I'm offended.
You said, I'm ugly.
I'm just saying, like, the lady freaked out.
But he wasn't.
Well, I don't know.
She got charged of murder.
Oh, my gosh.
But she insists that she, he thought he was trying to be kidnapped in Mexico.
Do these Uber's have cameras in all their cars?
No.
If the driver wants to, they can, yeah.
What is?
I think I trust the one with a camera in it more than I do and not.
Yeah, I would think so.
100%.
Because they're...
Your Honor, we have surveillance footage.
Well, I trust the surveillance footage more than not.
I would think generally that's it, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, Morgan, about to be dead, man.
Yeah, by the time I got to the airport, I was shaken.
You know what?
I got a new idea, guys.
I got a new business and we need to do it.
I don't want to say it on air because someone will steal it.
You want to hear it?
Turn out the mics.
Well, you've never had an idea that you actually followed through.
No, no, this is it.
I mean, it just hit me and we're going to make millions.
Just now?
But you're not going to put any money in it.
No, I'll put it in.
I'll put my money in.
You put your money and I'll put my money.
What money?
I'll take out a loan.
I don't care.
Business loan.
Okay, keep the music on.
Let's have them yell it over the mics.
Turn our mics off for a second.
Go ahead.
Thank you.
I think they have that.
I don't think they have that.
It does.
Why does you not use that?
They have that.
Like an exclusive?
You just don't have as many drivers.
You don't have as many options.
Yeah.
I was going to make a terrible joke.
Like, they're always wrecking.
Oh.
Yeah.
But it's not funny.
It's a stupid joke.
Lunchbox, it already exists.
What's it called?
What is it called?
You've never heard of it.
Just her.
It's women driving women.
Pink cab.
I mean, there's multiple trips for women.
There's multiple.
So is it here in our city?
Yeah, trips for women.
Okay, hey, you need to start men for men.
Yeah.
Or non-murters only.
You promise.
It's not a murder.
Promise.
Yeah. Morgan, I'm sorry that happened to you.
I'm glad I'm alive today.
Can I see his profile?
Oh, yeah.
Let's check it out.
Okay, so if you don't report him on, what if somebody else gets killed?
That's what I'm saying?
Yeah, I got a guilty conscience.
I think we need to report it.
Gosh, you could save people, but still.
Screw us, what do you think about this?
I think, well, if ever, me in that car, I'd want to be dropped off immediately and take a
That's what I would ask for.
And then you made a great point.
If you don't submit this now, what if he's already killed somebody?
And you've waited too long because you want to save a bit.
You should report this immediately.
No, not save a bit.
I would just say you waited because you didn't want to be like a problematic or...
Yeah, I'm just kidding.
I know, I know.
There's an update.
He doesn't have a photo on his profile.
Oh, you have to report it.
Oh, you got to report it.
Oh, but then, okay, you move.
Just move.
Report him and move.
Did he have a photo?
When you first got the ride, did he have a photo?
Yeah, it's not there anymore.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Yeah, I'd report it.
I'm gonna get Uber on the phone today.
And then you gotta stay at somebody else's house for a little bit.
And change your name.
Ever, yeah.
Got your hair.
I'd go witness protection.
We completely change her life because it's good.
All right, all seriousness, I would report him, right?
Yeah.
I mean, I'd, is his name on there?
Yeah, but for all I know, he changed it.
You know, it's not your name.
Lucifer.
Oh, Lucifer.
Do they do background checks on Uber, like extensive?
Ray.
Absolutely not
What? I mean I filled it out and I was driving in like two days
I mean but they do background checks
Sure whatever
I mean I don't think it's that deep
Alright I'm gonna call it I was approved probably
I did it on a Thursday I was approved by Saturday
But you should get approved
Okay yeah it's two days it's fine
All right
Yeah okay Morgan let us know what you do
Okay I well dang that's crazy
It's the best bits of the week

Eddie has a new business that he's trying out, as he calls it, it's in beta mode.
He's trying Eddie's smoking chicken.
He's got a new smoker.
He's been really excited to make chicken.
And so basically he started a business for 20 bucks.
You can buy a whole smoked chicken from him.
He brought it for the show to try.
And that's what you're about to hear right now.
And you will be surprised what the result was after everybody tried the chicken.
Number four.
Eddie has started a chicken business.
Eddie has been beating us up to get to this segment.
We had to do the Richard Marks segment.
We had stuff to do.
You understand why, though?
No, because you didn't tell me that you were waiting for me to call for the chicken.
In order for me to have fresh chicken, I had to wake up in the middle of the night, put this in the smoker, time it for when I was going to wait.
But you didn't communicate that to us.
But that is what it is.
So I've been stressing.
I'm like, he's not bringing up the chicken.
Well, not yet.
We had Richard Marks to get to.
We had a bunch stuff to do on the show.
But you would have told me would have got to the chicken earlier.
I'm hoping it's still warm.
You have to communicate.
I would have happily gotten to the chicken way early.
Let's just get to the chicken.
So Eddie has started a chicken business.
What's the business?
Yeah, it's my smoke chicken.
So producer Eddie's smoking breasts.
What?
No.
Smoking breasts is not it.
And not even for the breast play.
That's not good.
It doesn't make sense.
Smoking thighs.
No.
It's already a restaurant.
It's a whole chicken.
Yeah.
Smoking chicken.
It's me in the middle.
Producer Eddie's smoking chicken.
That works.
But it's smoking with an n-apostrophe.
Smoking.
Oh boy.
Okay.
What do you guys don't like?
What's your process before we eat this chicken?
Because you're going to feed it to us?
I have to cut it because it's the whole chicken.
Literally, when I walked out the door, I made my coffee and I grabbed the chicken out of the smoker.
But you got a middle of the night to do what?
To put the chicken in.
On.
It's been marinated for 24 hours.
And then last night, like around midnight, I was like, let me put in the smoker.
So by the time I wake up, it's ready.
And so how much are you charging for these chickens?
$20 for a whole chicken.
And how many of you sold so far?
Two.
But hopefully, after you try this one, because this is going to be the best.
best smoked chicken you've ever had.
And once you try it, you're going to be like, I need that every week.
So we can do recurring, reoccurring.
Pet Lasso, you bring in the little.
Reoccurring orders.
You bring in a little box for us?
So you have a subscription-based model.
Right.
Yes.
So this, you know, this is designed of like who likes chicken every week.
I like to have chicken for lunch.
So this is my whole chicken for the week.
Do you need to come and cut this?
Yes, I do the audio first.
Morgan, you want to do the audio first?
What's my audio?
Yeah, I used to definitely hear the audio.
What audio? I don't have audio.
We have audio of YouTube knuckleheads because Morgan's like, they don't understand business.
So what did you hear them do?
Who?
So we talked about Lunchbox and your guys' stocks, right?
And then we heard about Eddie's business.
And these two, after those segments happened, we're back in the glass room and they're just like,
Eddie's like, hey, you want to invest in my chicken business?
And lunchbox is like, do you have it on stocks?
And then you just hear them talking about it.
It's like two six-year-olds.
You recorded them?
You have it on stocks?
They have no idea how to do stocks or business, anything.
Are they serious?
They don't know your recording.
They had no idea.
How long is the clip, Ray?
20s 30s.
Okay, here's Eddie and Lunchbox.
Oh, my God.
Talking about Eddie.
You're not supposed to record business meetings.
You record everybody doing everything.
If this is a business meeting, I'm just telling you.
I'm taking my headphones off.
I'm going to start cutting the chicken.
Hold on, I need you to hear to hear it.
Go ahead.
Hey, so, like, you want to invest in the smoked chicken.
You put the money Bobby gave you.
No, that's for our stuff.
Are you on the stock market?
Not yet, but I mean, we could.
I don't know how you do that, but.
You just put, you make it public.
like producer ready smoked chicken
public? Yeah. Like NASDAQ and stuff?
Yeah. Like Dow Jones.
Do you know how to do that? Yeah.
We felt so stupid. He doesn't make it public, man.
We're a bunch of idiots.
It's like putting a song up.
That's what they say.
She was sitting right there just acting like she was on her phone while she was recording.
That's what you do all the time.
Wait, wait, wait, but when a company, that's what they do, they go public.
Okay.
That's how you buy your stock.
It was the Dow Jones comic. I was like, what was I thinking?
Producer-O-Moking chicken. Cut up, here we go.
Okay.
Do we have any chicken eating music?
Chicken fried.
Chicken dance.
So what makes this, let me ask you this, if we're going to buy these from you for $20,
why would I buy one from you for $20 when I can get it at the store for $8.99?
That's a rotisserie chicken.
Yeah.
That's not smoked.
Okay.
This is smoke.
But it looks the same.
Okay.
Eddie is pulled the chicken out of a massive Ziploc bag.
If you spill that juice on the gear.
Ew.
Eddie has the rotissory chicken on a paper plate.
No, it's not rotisserie.
Sorry. It's smoked chicken.
Yes, Amy.
Are your hands clean?
Yeah, just watch it.
Okay.
But you've been here for half an hour.
Here we go.
He's not even cutting it on that plate.
I don't want a leg.
You want breast?
I need white.
I like breasts.
You know he was going to.
I don't like.
Lunchbox, you want breast man.
I'm a breast man.
Dang.
I'm going to have a bite of Eddie's.
Producer Eddie's smoking chicken.
Does it not need ketchup or anything?
For chicken?
Who eating ketchup?
I do.
Listen, I get it.
I'm the biggest hillbilly in this room,
but I would never say,
do you I need ketchup for a smoked chicken?
Oh, yes.
Absolutely.
If we have ketchup right now, I'll take it.
But I do put A1 and everything,
just not this.
Okay.
Does everybody have a little bit?
Morgan doesn't eat me.
Nope.
Mike doesn't eat me anymore.
First thing Morgan said was,
poor little chicken.
Like, yeah.
Well, I saw the whole chicken.
It's a lot.
Okay, run out of time.
Eddie's, producer Eddie's smoking chicken.
Mm-mm.
Let me, uh, no, Amy, you go first.
I think it's really good.
Would you pay 20 bucks for that chicken?
I think it's really good.
I do struggle with, like, knowing that, look, okay, I can feed me and my kids off of it.
Yeah, all week.
Yeah, not all week.
Do you want to make a bet?
No, my kids each want a leg.
One bite a leg or a leg.
Each one a wing.
You got to be very conservative with the dishes.
Yeah.
So I'm just used to paying $8.99.
or so.
So that would be it.
For a rotissory chicken.
That would be a weird thing for me.
Yeah, but our kids don't know the difference
between rotisserie and smoke.
Lunchbox, 20 bucks.
I don't know if I'd pay $20.
I would be a celebrity endorser
if you want to bring me on board.
He believes in him.
No, he wants you to pay him.
Yeah, you pay me and I can advertise
your chicken for you to my followers.
Amy's a maybe.
Lunchbox is a no.
I mean, it's good.
I'm just, like, I wouldn't pay $20 a week.
Like, $20 is a lot for a chicken.
Yeah.
And he said it's the best.
I would ever have.
Ray.
I mean, there's no question it's gourmet,
and especially with the celebrity endorsement,
you can get, yes, I would pay $20 any day of the week.
You should actually ask more,
and that would up the value of it and the demand for it.
Slaiva, Eddie's chicken, producer, I'm smoking chicken.
In the 90s as a kid, I went to a place called Kenny Rogers.
Yeah.
The best chicken I think I've ever had my entire life.
This goes up next to it.
Whoa!
It was really, really, really good.
Yeah. I'd pay $25 for it, but I'll pay $20, but it's worth $25.
No, no, no, you're friends and family discount. You're good.
Eddie, you have cooked at my house or for me many times.
You are most of the time really good.
Come on.
Like, really, most of the time you do a great job.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
The thing about this chicken is that of all the things that you've done, it might be the best.
Come on! Guys, see, Amy?
Hey, it's really good.
Dude, how good is that?
And I didn't expect it to be that good, but it's really good.
And you should try it when it's like fresh out of the grill, not waiting.
You didn't bring it to us.
Yeah, he didn't bring it fresh out of the grill.
It was here.
But you can't give it to anybody fresh out of the grill if they're buying your chicken.
Right.
That's like coming to your house.
Hey, hey, if I have investors, we can do a little brick and mortar, you know what I'm saying?
You're going to pay money to be an investor.
Celebrity endorser.
No, no, no, I need investor.
He wants, or celebrities.
No.
And you're not one of them.
Okay, we have to go, Eddie.
A plus.
It's so good.
Eddie, it's great.
Thank you, man.
We'll find you about.
Do you need an investor?
Well, yeah.
Well, let's talk about the vision of where we're going to take these chickens.
I'm not running the company, bro.
Oh.
You're just going to give me money?
I'm an investor.
Can I just tell you this?
I think after about two weeks, he's going to get tired of having to make so much.
Absolutely.
It's going to be like working out before the show.
It's a good idea for a minute, but all of a sudden, oh, this sucks, man.
Every day.
Okay, we have to go.
Eddie, great job.
We'll talk more about producer Eddie smoking chicken is another point.
Come on.
And that's all.
It's the best bits of the week.
with Morgan number two.
Cinema Club was in action this week.
We all put movies into Bobby's Arkansas helmet that sits on his desk, and one got chosen.
And it was Eddie's, and we all had to watch it and give a review.
And it were mixed reviews.
Some people did actually like it, while others are like, why were we watching that?
It was a whole thing.
And, of course, we're going to have another one soon.
So make sure you're staying caught up with us.
Make sure you're watching the movies with us.
You know, we got to suffer through old movies.
So do y'all.
That's how this whole cinema club works, much like a book club.
Number three.
We all put a movie into the old Arkansas helmet here.
We drew it out, and it was Eddie's movie, The Rope.
Just Rope.
Not The Rope.
How did you come across this?
Because, again, it's from the 40s.
Yeah, I probably saw this movie for the first time.
I would say maybe 15 years ago.
It was on Turner Classic Movies.
I just sat down and watched it.
I'm like, this is pretty amazing.
Did you watch it from the very beginning or did you just come into it?
I'd watch it from the very beginning.
It just started.
So I watched the whole movie.
And I've probably seen it five times since then.
You went and rewatched it?
Absolutely.
Spoiler alert, but it's from the 40s, so we're just going to let everybody know.
It's a spoiler alert.
But you had a week to watch it.
It was only like an hour and 10, hour and 15 minutes, which was good.
I thought about that for you guys, because I didn't want to take a lot of your time.
And can I please say something before you guys review this?
It's already been reviewed.
I just want to say that I truly, truly love this movie.
There's a punishment if we think you're messing with this.
Right.
And there's no way I'm messing with you guys.
I thought that this would be a treat for you guys to just go on with your lives with this movie.
Have you experienced this movie in your life?
I think you'd love it.
So here we go.
Watch it on Amazon, we ought to pay for the stupid thing?
Although it was on Turner Classic Movies either night.
But we didn't know until like the last minute.
Yeah, luckily I got it for $1.47.
I don't know.
It was on sale.
When I went there, it had prices slashed.
Where did you go?
You had you went there?
Amazon.
Really?
Yeah.
Maybe so many people bought it eight.
They were like, we should really happen.
They're like, wow, we're seeing an uptick in the 48 movie.
Okay.
Well, a rope.
Come on.
Was color added later?
It had to be 100%.
No, that's the way it was shot.
I can't believe it was in color to begin with.
Yeah, man.
I think there was color back then.
My wife kept going to do, just the high school production.
Because I made her watch it.
She was like, this is a high school production.
Stop.
This is Alfred Hitchcock, man.
He's like a well-known director.
No, I know, but it's also in the 40s.
So everything looks a bit dated.
Apparently, for what he was doing at that time, it was advanced.
Because it was like a one-shot situation.
That's right. Hitchcock decided that rope would be his very first ever color picture.
Boom!
That's really cool.
Okay, here we go.
The first review.
I enjoyed all 80 minutes of rope and think it's a fine piece of film history.
I love that the movie wastes in no time getting right to the murder and allowing for the tension to build.
Thanks Eddie for allowing us to uncover this hidden gem from Alfred Hitchcock.
You had to write this.
Yes.
That was not me.
I was not me.
That is not me.
I promise.
I promise.
Is that you?
Thanks to Eddie for allowing us to uncover this hidden gym.
Me?
Bones. You wrote that.
I just swear to you.
No one has to claim.
I was waiting for the punchline where it's like acting like you like it and then it's like and then I wish I.
had a rope for myself.
Stop. Who wrote this?
Oh, Mike. Oh, course.
Movie Mike. You're so
welcome, Mike, what would you grade it? If you're grading it then?
I give it a 4 out of five. I thought it was a really good movie. I enjoyed the whole thing.
No, stop. Stop.
Guys, that's awesome. Okay. That's a true film critic right there.
Definitely. I should have put that together. Yep.
The next one. When I say this movie was physically painful to watch,
and that's not an exaggeration, my eyes were burning, trying to stay interested in this
uneventful plot line, scene selection, and it was lazy, the character
development was terrible, and the suspense hovered around
non-existence. So that's a negative review. Your eyes were burning?
Must have been drinking. It was Amy. I mean, this is hardcore. But scene selection, he's not
going to say scene selection. Scene selection. I feel like maybe he Googled like how to talk about a
movie. Eyes were burning because you didn't nap. I go scuba. Is this scuba?
No, that's not my room now. Who is this one?
Oh, it's Ray?
Eyes were burning?
You hated it?
Yeah, it was a Friday night.
My wife went to bed.
She lasted five minutes, and it was just painful trying to stay awake, honestly.
What are you talking about?
Let's average out the score, so you give it a four.
Ray, what did you give it?
One and a half, David's out of five.
One and a half.
Davids.
I like it.
I like it.
The next one.
We're talking about reviewing the movie Rope
that Eddie made us watch from the 40s.
What in the world did I just watch?
It was like a twisted take on clue.
I'm confused why this is a good movie for Eddie.
For an old movie, it wasn't bad.
I had to get used to the way they talk.
I definitely won't be watching it again.
That's not terrible.
This is a nice negative review.
It's like something Morgan would say.
Like she wants to be nice, but also say she didn't like it.
But in a cordial way.
Right.
Morgan?
Yeah, that's me.
But you liked it.
I didn't like it.
I genuinely don't understand why you think this is a good movie.
Like, it's twisted.
It's awesome.
So yours was about the theme more than it was.
Like psychological theme.
So you don't like.
like Saul.
Yeah, not a fan.
Okay.
Okay.
What would you give it?
I give it two out of five books.
Two.
Okay.
Books.
But it's based on a true story.
What?
Yeah.
What?
Is it really?
Yeah.
It's super twisted.
That's what I read.
Like that happened?
Yeah, it's based on something similar.
Hold it.
We'll get to it.
Okay.
Given this movie was released in 1948 and is rated PG,
you have to review it with that mindset.
That being said, wow, wonderful film that made the edge of my seat.
Every time the chest was in play, the end,
once it all came together, made the previous 60 minutes worth it.
Great film.
This is, that's a great review.
Is that Scuba?
I gave it three out of five chums, I believe.
Three.
Yeah, that's good.
Oh, man, I'll give it more than that, Scuba.
Okay.
This movie is super slow and hard to keep your eyes open.
The dialogue felt like it was from the 40s,
and there was only one entertaining, funny conversation in the entire movie.
If you haven't seen it, I don't think you need to waste your time.
I don't waste your time with his review.
It has to.
That has to be lunchbox.
That was me.
Yeah.
I fell asleep the first time, had to sit up the next day, watch it.
Tootspicks in the eyes almost.
No, I fell asleep at the front.
I got to go to bed.
So then I watched it the next day and it's in the afternoon.
And my wife's like, wake up, wake up.
I'm like, you're right.
So I stood up for a little bit of the movie to try to stay awake.
Guys, it was.
You stood up.
Yes.
That's like when you're sleepy driving, you get out and run around the car.
That's what you just did.
That's funny.
It was so slow.
And Eddie complains about movies.
That one stayed in one room the entire time.
That's what was impressive about it.
Oh, my God.
I don't seem.
The dialogue was brutal.
Got it, got it.
I gave it one and a half.
It took everything in my power
not to fall asleep.
Stop.
Another one.
But it got more interesting.
The whole movie had a pretty creepy vibe.
The storyline and acting were mediocre at best.
Kind of like Lunchbox is acting.
That's Abby.
Oh, day.
That's Abby.
That's funny.
She takes a shot at Lunchbox and hers.
Abby, what do you give it?
Two and a half out of five ropes.
Okay.
I watched it while I potted.
That's Amy.
Amy, for sure. I've watched it while I potted plants because I didn't want to waste any time on
this movie. Even though I was multitasking, the story was not hard to keep up with because the
entire thing took place in one room. That being said, I was actually entertained and it wasn't totally
terrible. Okay, Amy. Yeah, I mean, I feel like I consumed it like an audio book and it's pretty
good. This has got to be Eddie's. Did you write one? No, I don't know. What'd you got?
I don't know. I don't know. The answer is you, as or no, you know if you wrote.
Hope was amazing. I feel terrible for giving Eddie a hard time about watching this movie, a well-written
movie that had me at the edge of my seat the entire time,
a cinematic masterpiece. Wow, that's
a good review. Doesn't anyone want to commit
to... Who wrote that? Okay, idiot.
All right, I did. Okay, and here's mine.
Because I'm the only one left. Come on, man.
I turned it on and then turned it off, though.
I will tell you. I watched the first 15, 20 minutes,
and I was like, I just got to do this tomorrow because I'm not in the mood
or in the space to do this. Because it was just
watching, again,
eighth graders for a minute, because that's just the style
then. I know. I saw.
said, revolutionary for the 40s.
Possibly the black mirror
of its day. Dang,
that's cool. And you love black mirror.
But because it was so dated, it was hard for me to really
enjoy the story. They could actually
remake it in today's
current time, but this time feed the party
goers, the dead person.
With a perfect crime. Bones. I honestly
thought that when they were talking about the chicken or
whatever, I thought that they... You can't do that in the 40s.
So I'm going to give it two and a half out of five.
I wouldn't watch it because it was so
old and I didn't really enjoy it, but I did enjoy
the idea of it and how
groundbreaking it was then, revolutionary then.
Because I think the same way I watch Black Mirror now
and I'm like, oh, I can't believe. That had to be how people are
watching that then, going, oh my God. This is crazy.
This is crazy. It's the perfect crime. How twisted
is this? See, I didn't think of it as that angle.
I thought of it as all the stuff I've seen, you know,
in my lifetime and I'm like, geez,
this is so... Yeah, because you're one level.
You know what? Bones is like, you know, next level
thinking. Only because you think I agreed with you.
No, no, no. You look at stuff
and you're like, wow, this is really cool because it was revolutionary.
I think at the time people were
blown away by it. And then I started to think, how could we make this current? And it's a similar
thing because they wanted to commit the perfect crime. And so they killed the dude and they put him
in a box and they had dinner party around the box. Hey, spoiler alert. We said that. But I think now they could
kind of do the same thing. They can murder someone, have everybody come over. But then they're feeding
them the meal. The meal is actually from his body. It's like his parents and stuff and they're looking
for it. But that's even more twisted. Hey, every single time like something would happen would you get
like, oh my gosh, they're going to get busted. Oh my gosh. They're going to get busted. No, I knew the
whole time they were going to get busted.
Oh.
And then Jimmy Stewart comes in.
Yeah, yeah. Why.
I a yada.
Okay, Eddie, thank you.
Hey, you guys are so welcome.
Mike.
Amy, what did you give it?
Four?
Three and a half.
Three and a half.
Nice.
If we average it all out here,
Eddie, as long as it's not a two or below,
you're fine and you're off the punishment wheel.
So, what are we at?
There were some ones in there.
2.68.
Eddie, thank you.
Thank you.
And all the listeners, too.
that like rented it and watched it
I hope you enjoyed it really
because from the bottom of my heart
I really try to pick a movie that I think all you guys
would really enjoy. You survived.
Yes. We'll draw another movie soon.
It's the best
bits of the week with
Morgan number two.
There's two golden rules that
any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess
with a country girl. You play stupid
games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never
mess with her friends either.
We always say that, trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season
of the girlfriends... Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated
the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care,
so they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed. I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he did.

My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live and the Big
Money Players Network.
It's Will Ferrell.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give
this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way
up through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based
solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much
luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where
you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a camera. It would not be on a

that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever

of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies
in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the
truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone's, correct? I doctored the test
once. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see
what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfectant.
They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing.

Richard Marks stopped by the show and is really awesome to hear from him.
Not only did he talk about writing songs for Keith Urban and Kenny Rogers,
But he also performed some of them.
He did like a cover of Long Hot Summer,
which is one of the songs that he wrote.
And it was just cool to hear from him
and hear a different perspective.
Also somebody who was just a massive star,
who is now a really awesome songwriter.
So just a really cool interview with Richard Marks.
And shout out to Abby.
She brought this guy on the show
and he's been great ever since.
Both times when he called on the phone and in studio.
So if you want to check out the full,
you're going to hear like a clip here of that interview.
But if you want to see the full thing,
it's a really long interview on our YouTube page.
Bobby Bones Show.
Number two, it's a Bobby Bones show interview.
In case you didn't know.
Hey, by the way, this should go on to Abby's list for Employee of the Month.
When we start to look at who's done great things,
because Abby lined up Richard Marks, he's here.
He's about to walk in right now.
Richard Marks has got one way or another 14 number one songs.
You would know this one right here waiting when I'm shopping for lettuce.
And that song comes on.
Feels so good.
Hold on to the nights.
Hold on.
Some songs he's written, and we won't even get to the Keith Urban stuff yet, but this I Promise you from InSync.
Dang.
He is.
Made History is the only male artist whose first seven singles reached a top five Billboard chart spot.
He's got shows all over the country this year.
He credits most of his success to Lionel Richie, and here he is Richard Marks.
On the Bobby Bones Show now.
Richard Marks.
It's very exciting for me to have you here.
It's a pleasure.
I'm like a huge fan.
We've talked on the phone.
It's probably one of your most memorable moments in your career,
so I'm sure you remember all of it.
I memorized it.
Thank you.
Yes.
I dream it.
He listens back.
We are,
I'm a massive fan,
so just I'll geek out early and say thank you.
I was telling the show that if either one of the versions of your career,
it would just be isolated,
you'd be a Hall of Famer,
either the artist's part or even just the songwriter part.
But because there's two, there's no chance.
It's a, you know, Tom Brady.
Okay, there you go.
I'm going to go with that.
Did you do the band?
thing in high school? Did you get with a group of buddies? Oh man I tried. I tried to put bands together
left and right and nobody took it to you. I came from a suburb of Chicago where the idea of being
a rock star or any of that was such a pipe dream. So I just dove into songwriting, which was actually
great because a few years later when I did go out to LA, that's kind of how I started to get going
as a writer for other people. But were there songwriters where you were? Nobody.
I was the only kid in school. How did you learn to write songs?
by yourself at a place where no one else is really writing songs like you were writing songs.
I went to the school of Elton John and Billy Joel and the Eagles.
And I went to, like, I just studied it like out of love.
So when I ended up in L.A. at 18, I got my first job with singing background vocals on a Lionel Ritchie record.
He was really the catalyst. He was the guy. He heard my demo tape of my first couple of songs.
And so I recommend you to Kenny Rogers
And you go to sing background vocals for Kenny
So are you the guy
Are there three behind and you're doing the dances at the same?
No, no, I'm only in the studio
Oh, just studio.
I'm not doing any live work, yeah.
Got it.
I get hired to work for two days on this Kenny Rogers album.
I come back the next day
And I do exactly what the background singer should never do
Which is go up to the artist and say,
I'm a songwriter, I've got a song.
And the song was?
Crazy.
Crazy for you.
Can't you see?
That's my Candy Rogers.
That's like 85 or so.
Yeah, 84 maybe.
I was, I was 19 when I wrote it.
Right here waiting,
a song you're known for most, would you say?
Is that the one?
It's probably, yeah.
Can you give us a little bit on guitar?
Yeah, sure.
Original key?
I think so, yeah.
Yeah.
Awesome.
You can still sing original key.
Well, thanks, man.
Yeah, dang.
You know, sometimes it's like, well, I will be right here.
I'm almost 60.
Talk to me in 10 years and maybe we'll.
That's awesome.
Maybe I'll be like, wherever.
So the Keith Urban stuff, I think, is always interesting to people that know country music, like Long Hot Summer.
Yeah.
Does Keith come to you and go, hey, Richard, I want to write with, how does that even come together?
He came to my house and stayed with me for a few days.
And it wasn't, it was just sort of to hang out.
He was just sort of like trying to take a break from the pace of his career.
And we picked up guitars.
And within like 10 minutes, we did,
Sunday, baby, you and I going to be the ones.
That was better life.
It was like, that's how it happened.
It wasn't like, hey, let's get together and write a song.
Do you play the Keith and your songs when you play your shows?
I do long out summer sometimes.
You do?
Yeah.
Can you play a little bit of that?
Do you care?
Yeah.
The Luther Vandross song, Dance on My Father.
I remember hearing it, not knowing who wrote it, because I was just listening to it.
That's, like, that's a song.
Yeah.
That's a song that I think.
Really proud to be a part of that one.
Richard, thank you.
You guys, Richardmarks.com.
Go to the shows.
It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two.
I don't know why I'm putting this in the number one spot because quite honestly, I'm still bitter.
But you guys love, hate this segment.
There was a lot of engagement on it.
Let's put it that way.
I shouldn't say y'all love this.
this segment. But there was a lot of engagement on it, which is why it's the number one spot.
Scuba Steve used AI to assess the show's looks. Basically, it was based on symmetry and who was the
most symmetrical looking and who came in first, who came in last. And, you know, honestly,
I don't think any of you walked in the studio that day just thinking they were get totally
roasted. And that's what happened for pretty much all of us, but like two people.
Number one. Our executive producer, Scooba Steve, is in studio where the bet he's going to make
us do called Scuba Steve suggests. What's the bit?
So on the show, we've had listeners email, call, and talk about our level of attractiveness on the show.
So I went and according to science, I inserted our faces to an AI-generated machine to tell who is the most symmetrical on the show.
And do you think symmetrical means best-looking?
According to this, yes.
The hottest versus the notest.
This is not good.
This is not me good for me.
I'm not symmetrical.
I got a droopy eye.
I got a side of the nose bigger than another.
So you'll be surprised that who is actually last and where Mr. Prom can.
is on the list.
I'll be surprised at who's like ugliest.
Ugliest in the show.
Well, let me do a few things here.
You're going to do your own list?
Yeah, I'm going to just say who I think is probably most symmetrical.
I don't think everybody's symmetrical, but I understand for this.
Ray is probably most symmetrical.
I think Ray probably.
Lately he's been getting a little more round, you know what I mean?
But it's symmetrically round.
What is symmetrical?
Same on both sides.
Same on both sides.
If you fold it in high, like.
Yes, and according to science, based on symmetry,
you're considered most attractive.
Got it.
Okay, I'm going to go with,
well, I'm not even doing the ladies here
because I wouldn't even want to comment on them.
Oh, they're definitely on the list.
Oh, they are, okay.
I'll let you do that.
I put everyone here from you all way down to Abby.
I would say that Ray probably comes in at number one,
and I would think that I'm probably last,
because I've got all kinds of weird things lower and higher than others.
Okay.
But I see my face all the time.
Like, I know all the little imperfections.
So like I know that one eye goes down more than the other.
I know one of my nostrils is bigger than the other.
But I don't, but listen.
Hey, you guys.
I don't think that there's...
I feel like, but I look like that one's up in the mirror.
Like, slog?
Yes.
I don't think that that equals imperfection.
Like, with eyebrows, sometimes...
For this, though.
For this, for the symmetry, yes.
I would say it is.
Okay.
Well, listen, both sides of your face.
There's supposed to be sisters, not twins.
Okay.
Well, interesting.
That's a good way to put it.
What?
Well, mine are step peasants.
Mine are definitely adopted.
Okay, scuba, Steve.
Do you want to...
I don't know which ways.
I was going to say,
how do you want this list?
Because I've got a top three.
Give me somebody in the middle.
How many total did you do?
So I did.
I've got seven, eight.
I got nine people on here.
Okay, give me number three.
Number three is tied.
Okay, go ahead.
Number three is tied between Raymond,
Cisoramundo, and Eddie.
You guys are both at 69% good.
Hey, let's go, right?
Do you want to hear some imperfections or do you want to the score?
Just don't one out there.
Okay, so Eddie has a big forehead.
Okay.
Well, that's because I'm bald.
And Ray has a narrow nose.
What the?
This is according to a website and science.
So that would be three.
There would also be three and four, but three.
Okay, who's five?
Five is Mike D.
65%.
Oh, no, I'm still running for last.
Mike has a nice forehead, good distance of features,
but he has a wide mouth and a small nose.
We're all going to leave this feeling worse about ourselves.
What in the world?
Okay, who's six?
Six is lunchbox.
63%, a wide face, a forehead that's too small.
A small chin, poor symmetry, but a normal size mouth.
Cool.
You got a good mouth, man.
They call them on normal hole.
I mean, got a hate on me for something, you know?
I didn't hate any.
This is just what I got from this website.
Yeah, I'm just saying some stupid website.
I mean, take a poll with the chicks.
Three of us left.
There's me, Amy, and Morgan.
So one of us is number one.
One of us is last.
Oh, is Abby on there, too?
I got me on there as well.
Oh, okay.
Oh, scuba.
Have we got a lot more.
Okay, scuba.
Just go laugh.
Push.
Question.
I want to do first.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
The quote-unquote ugliest is the funniest.
So I want to build to that.
Who's number two?
Number two is you, Bobby.
I'll take it.
70% good face,
yes.
Normal chin and forehead size is perfect.
Wow.
Good forehead.
But your mouth is too wide.
Oh, my hole.
They call me old wide hole.
Okay.
All right.
What number have we not done?
Who's next to last?
Next to last.
No, no, no.
I don't think you just got to save it.
I think we got to go.
Next to last.
Who's next to last?
Next to last is Morgan.
What?
58% wide nose, chin too small, bad face symmetry, but a normal mouth.
Okay.
It's not like I just took a blush in the gut.
So who's left?
Left is me, Amy, and Abby.
Back to the question I have.
What photos did you use?
That's a great question.
I use photos where you could see their face head on.
It's scuba.
It's like 19.
Like a perfect.
Okay.
I had some company photos, and they were head-on photos so I can get proper symmetry.
Who, there's three of you guys left?
Three left, yeah.
What numbers are left?
We got first place.
And last place.
Fourth and last.
Who's fourth?
Fourth is me.
I'm okay at 68%.
You're okay.
Abby got last.
What?
You don't know that.
Why would you just yell that?
I.
Abby got last.
Wait, what's lunchbox again?
This is, what?
Lunchbox is sixth.
Oh my goodness.
Out of nine of us.
Guys, I feel this is so bad.
I mean, Abby, what a terrible day for her.
Who woke up and thought they were going to go to work and get ranked?
No, Amy, at least you got ranked one.
You say ranked?
Yeah, yeah, that sounds weird.
Ranked.
Ranked.
So here we got.
We got Bobby.
That's me at two.
Ray and Eddie.
Mike D.
Lunchbox and Morgan.
So we have one and eight still left.
So if I get eight, do we add that to my dating profile?
Scoo of Steve.
Who got, who got eighth?
So we're going to rent the Band-Aid.
Last place goes to Abby.
50%.
This is the meanest,
short-nose,
mouth too large,
this is a meanest bit.
Hey, you know what?
It might be pretty accurate.
Okay.
Well, Amy, okay, your first place then.
This is, yeah.
You're the best looking at the show.
No, I don't agree with that.
No.
No.
Wow.
Amy.
This is awkward.
This bit is really mean.
Abby, I don't know.
He took it out on you.
I didn't take anything out on you.
This is just me inserting a photo into a website.
Are we sure this is accurate?
Like, is this credible?
No, it's not credible.
So I picked the nice photo from you of your Instagram
where you're like smiling with the sitting in the backdrop.
And what it does is it takes the lines and lines up where your eyes
in, your eyes began, the nose, the mouth, the ears, forehead.
Well, Eddie's better looking at the lunchbox.
That's what I'm talking about.
I mean, I figured that was the case.
And that was with your hat off.
Yeah.
Wait, wait, wait, you took a picture of my hat off.
Yeah, with your hat off and you got third place.
Dude, if you put your hat on, you'd probably rock it because your forehead gets smaller.
Okay, I mean, I can, let's just go ahead and say we can take this with a grain of salt.
Amy, stop.
Yeah, Amy, you're the hottest in the show.
It's easy for you.
I believe in science, but I mean, I feel like we could go enter it in again and it'd probably generate something different.
Abby, just, okay, fair enough.
I did it multiple times.
What if everybody provides a picture, our own picture, and then you re-rank us.
Okay, yeah, send me your photos and we'll do this again.
Abby, are you okay?
Oh, yeah.
I'm going to go cry, but it's okay.
Yeah, this is, I'm just kidding.
It's funny.
I'm like, wow, out of all of us, I'm the one that's the least.
No one said that.
I don't know that if I would have known this was the segment,
I don't know that I would have done it because I wouldn't want an Abby to fill a time.
Oh, yeah, because you don't know what scuba see.
I mean, first her voice is bad, now she looks bad.
But see, the thing about our looks is that this is just science.
To the right person, you're beautiful.
To the right person.
How insulting.
I'm done like it's getting worse.
There is someone for everyone.
I don't look great at all and I scored at least in my mind at 10.
So again, you find the right person and everything's okay.
Looks are just the surface.
Okay.
Thank you,
I feel like we should have got a good message out of this, but we did not.
We got the opposite.
Y'all, I took a class.
Re-smit a picture.
You're the hottest.
Hey, well, I'll say it's the hottest guy here that I think we should move on.
You are the hottest dude.
He is, yeah.
It is science, guys.
Much you want to laugh at science.
Okay.
All right, resubmit your picture to Scoob, okay?
Everybody?
No, no. Why relive
this? I mean, we can do it.
Maybe doesn't want me not off the throw.
Oh, that's a great point.
That's a great point.
That's a great point.
That's a great point. Okay.
You know what?
If you're scared to defend the title, don't worry about it.
I didn't even think about that part.
Yeah, you win the title and she's on the run.
She's on the lamb guys with the belt.
It's the best bits of the world.
week with Morgan number two.
That's all for me this weekend, y'all.
Fourth of July weekend, I'm sure you're out having some crazy awesome plans and doing

July or if you're shooting fireworks off, whatever it may be.
Just make sure you and everybody you're with and all of your furry friends.
