Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. The Best Bits of the Week with Morgan. Part 1. Behind the scenes with a member of the show. Hello, everybody. Welcome to The Best Bits. I am joined this weekend by Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:00:17 What's up, lunch? It's freezing cold in here. It is freezing cold. I got up on Saturday. I'm wearing shorts. I wore sandals because I forgot. Do you call them sandals or flip-flops? They call them flip-flops.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Yeah, mine are flip-flops. Definitely. Sandals feels too formal for me. I don't know why. I don't know why I said sandals. I don't know if I've ever said that word in my life. You've got a look going. Is there a sandals? Like, is there a difference between sandals and flip flops? I'm sure there is. If I'm being honest, I have no idea what it is though. Okay. But thank you for that. These are definitely flip flops. Okay. Well, thank you for reviewing your outfit for us. It's good to see you. It's cold. We did on the Bobby Bone Show this week. We did a Tuesday, Reviews Day. Bobby's living at his boyhood dreams. We did. We did it. a draft of annoying songs that get stuck in your head. I shared my maid of honor speech.
Starting point is 00:01:04 Yeah, I really, I really fumbled the bag on the draft. You did. Well, I had the number one pick and I literally thought, oh, baby shark, my kids listen to that. It's super annoying. But none of these other people have kids, so they won't even think about it. I don't know why I thought that because Eddie has kids, Amy has kids, but their kids are a little older. So I thought, oh. And I'm a child.
Starting point is 00:01:25 So like, you really just miss the bag there. Bad, really bad, because I was really trying to go, I don't know. I don't know what I was doing. You did. You did. If you want the results, that's also part two. No, I'll take the results. No, not here.
Starting point is 00:01:37 I'm part two. Okay. What? That made one of the top bits? The draft did. And then I just put the results after it. Hold on, hold on. Out of all the things we did this week.
Starting point is 00:01:46 You haven't even let me got to everything yet. I'm literally on number six. How many are there? There's seven. It was one of the top, that draft was one of the top seven things we did this week. Everybody loves the draft. All right. Maybe I don't.
Starting point is 00:01:58 Can you chill for a second? to get through them. Then you can decide if it's... Go. Okay. I shared a little bit of my maid of honor speech for my sister's wedding and the man in uniform met my family. Lunchbox did bathroom confessions from his trip in Chicago. Tracy Lawrence was on the show.
Starting point is 00:02:13 Eddie has gone bald. And we shared our vacation recaps. You good now lunch? Now you see? No. I thought that the story about what I found under my hotel bed is better than a draft. Well, you know, you win something. you lose some. No, no, no, no, that is, that story is... Hey, I don't make the rules. I just follow the
Starting point is 00:02:34 engagement. No, no, the engagement. Let me go look. Let me go look at the engagement. Okay, well, we have stuff to talk about. We're going to be here all the day. Bobby Bone Show. You don't even know where to look. Yeah, I'm going to go to the comments. The comments of where, though. You don't know where it's posted. It's on Facebook. Oh, okay. Okay. We'll see how you do. Let's see. It's also a difference of engagement. Like, did people click through to read it? Are they just commenting on it? It has 14 comments. That's terrible. Yeah, 38 likes.
Starting point is 00:03:02 Two shares. Wow. Yeah. Uh. So you're going to take your saying back now? Yeah, dang, that's wild. I can't believe more people weren't outraged. Well, you know, it's a little weird, but okay.
Starting point is 00:03:21 Oh, I had to tell me something bad. Can we move forward now? Yeah. Okay. Tell me about your vacation. You were in Chicago with the family. You talked a little bit about it on the show, but I want things you didn't talk about on the show.
Starting point is 00:03:31 Oh, yeah. We went to this place called the color factory. That was really freaking cool. Ooh, were you color? No. Okay. Every room has a different like color scheme aspect reason. It's that color.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Like one room was full of colorful confetti. Okay. It was just coming down from the ceiling and you can, it's all over the ground so you can throw it around and play. And it's cool. When you get there, you fill out a waiver or whatever and they give you a QR. code and every room you go in, they have cameras positioned to make cool photos so you can just scan it.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Boom, take a family picture and it sends it right to your phone. That's fun. So you don't have to get your phone out, take pictures, and it was- Did you get like a whole lot of photos from it then? Yes. Nice. And one room is like a, it's all, it's colored and it has mirrors. It's a mirror room.
Starting point is 00:04:26 And I'm assuming you took the kids to this, so they were loving it. Yeah. Well, I didn't just leave the kids in the hotel room. You can find babysitters in other places. What so? Cuba did. They got a babysitter for Disney. Did you not see that?
Starting point is 00:04:37 Do what? They went to Disney. Him and his wife had a date night out in Disney and they found a babysitter near Disney and watched them. That watched the kids for them. No. Yeah. No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Didn't do that. You can. I don't know. But I guess I hire strangers off that app. I was going to say you hire strangers to be a babysitter anyway. I think I've done that twice. Usually it's just kids or teachers at the school. But anyway, so the mirror room is so crazy because you think you're walking in a hall.
Starting point is 00:05:05 Boom, oh, mirror. Sorry. And my kids ran into the wall. And they tell you no running. And of course, kids run. And my kid, bam, run. My knee. My knee.
Starting point is 00:05:14 It was really cool. That's awesome. Who found that? You are your wife. Like, how did you find about it? We found out about that because we talked to another family that went. And one of the kids was like, oh, you got to go to their kid. It was like, the color plays.
Starting point is 00:05:27 It was so fun. And they get a treat. once you exit every room. When you're exiting every room, you get a treat. Like one room was they give you five bags of pop rocks. Oh, yeah. And they're all,
Starting point is 00:05:40 they're just plain looking. Like the bag is plain, but you put them in your mouth and you have to write down what you taste. That's funny. So it's super interactive. Very interactive. And then they have a big ball pit.
Starting point is 00:05:51 And it's all lime green. And it was a lot of fun. And we went on a, random day so it wasn't crowded. Like I can't imagine that place on a weekend. Oh yeah. With like families too. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:05 So we went and we spent like two hours. You know, some people went a lot faster than we did. We were taking our time and having fun and relaxing and a lot of people like they were just going. Yeah. It was a lot of fun. It sounds like fun for adults though too, not just kids.
Starting point is 00:06:21 It was a cool. It was a cool little spot. What else did we do? We went to Navy Pier. rode the big ferris wheel, all that. Did you guys see the bean? I've never been to Chicago. I really want to go, but.
Starting point is 00:06:36 I ran by the bean. I ran, like we stayed right by that park. Oh, where the bean is? Yeah, and I ran right by it. And I'm like, cool. It's a bean. Yeah. We thought about taking the kids,
Starting point is 00:06:48 but we had done so much, and then it was hot. I was like, is it really, I mean, are they really going to care about this bean? But I did see the big fountain. You know what I mean? I ran by that. What else?
Starting point is 00:06:59 did we do. Went to a Cubs game. You can listen to that on sore losers. It was on Monday Sorosers. It was- Did any of you guys get a foul ball or anything exciting? Something very exciting happened. Something pretty freaking cool. Like I would say really cool. Like maybe the kids will never forget it the rest of their life. Can you give me a little bit, like a little bit of it and then it'll be the teaser? Because there's no little bit of it. Does it involve a mascot? Does it involve being on the field? Does it involve being in the stands. It involves the... How do I describe it?
Starting point is 00:07:36 Because we got to give them a little something. Be like, I need to hear that. I'm trying to... Gosh, how do I say it? Without giving it away. Does it involve any of those things? No, not mascot. Okay, no mascot.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Maybe something with the field. Yeah, maybe something with the field. Cool. All right. That's all we got. Like... That's cool. I'm telling you.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Like, let's just say... Let's just say... say. There were tears. From you? There, there was tears shit. You didn't say no. There were tears shit. Let's just put it that way. Let's just put it that way. Were they happy tears, sad tears? There were, there were tears, okay? So Monday's sore losers, this past Mondays. I think it's like lunchboxes family takes over a Wrigley Field, something like that as a title. Okay. Let's just say it was, it was. It was. It was, yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Oh, guys, lunch rocks cried. I didn't say that. You did. No, no. And then we also. You said it without saying it. We also spent a couple days at Lake Michigan, which I didn't talk about. We went to Buffalo City, Michigan.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Okay. And they have sand dunes. I'm assuming that's close by. Yeah, it was like 45 minutes to an hour. And it's like they have sand dunes, like big sand dunes. Fun. And that was great. Do they slide down the sand dunes or were there like ATVs in the sand dunes?
Starting point is 00:08:56 No, you can't take ATVs. But there were some people sliding. we didn't have any cardboard, we didn't think about it. So we didn't, like, we didn't do it. But there was, I mean, a huge one. And we're like, I don't know if we're going to be able to do it. And the two older kids just took off straight up it.
Starting point is 00:09:10 And they go a little bit easier because they don't sink in like adults. Yeah. And then my two-year-old, he couldn't freaking, he kept, uh, carry me. So I had to carry him up the entire sand dune. And I mean, I was, uh, uh, finally I just started running up it. I was like, ah, I'm just going to get it over with. I'm just going to go. All that running was preparing you for something.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Yeah. And I mean, it was great. We rolled down the sand dunes. And we watched them just kind of trek ahead in the sand dunes. And they loved it. It was so freaking fun. Are the sand dunes like set on like the lake so you're kind of by water? Or is it just kind of out somewhere separate?
Starting point is 00:09:48 No, no. It's like it's across the parking lot. It's like natural. It should be. It makes no sense. It's sand Lake Michigan. I don't even ever mean. It is like an ocean.
Starting point is 00:09:58 It is so big. But there's no salt. It's crazy. The sand dunes, and what's crazy is it overnight, they all smooth back over because the sand comes in. That's crazy. Yeah, I want to go there. I want to go out to Michigan. I'm going to Michigan for a bachelor's party here.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Oh, we're in Michigan. I think Lake Michigan. Because we're going to spend the night, one of the nights in Lake Michigan area. Like in a cabin. Lake Michigan's huge. Are you going to a city? Are you going to Buffalo? No, couldn't tell you where I'm going.
Starting point is 00:10:26 Oh. I have no idea. All I know is I have a lot. a flight to Michigan. Where do you fly into? Well, we fly into Detroit because that's where her family is. So we're doing like part of the bridal shower. Oh, gosh. Ooh. Well, there's cool areas over there. Be careful. It's Detroit. Oh, my goodness. There's cool areas over there. And then we get up the next day. How do you know this girl? She's one of my good friends. From Nashville. Oh, not from college. No, no. She's from here. Yeah. But that's awesome. Yeah, it was good. It was good. It was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Aunt Judy shout out. I know you're not going to listen to this. Did Aunt Judy write the Junie B. Jones books? Because those were my favorite. How did you know that? No. I don't even know what you're talking about. I've never really met a Judy. So that's why I was like maybe as Judy B. Jones. Really? What is Judy v. Jones? You never heard of the Junie B. Jones. No, Google. They're so cool. I used to read him all the time growing up. Judy? Junie. June. Well, I say Junie. Yeah. Junie B. Jones.
Starting point is 00:11:26 No, no. Spell it. It's not Judy, but I just thought maybe it could be Junie. If it's not even the same name, how can it be that person? Because Judy and Junie are pretty close. Oh my gosh. And so is Juniper. Okay. I've never also met anybody now.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I haven't met anybody with either of any three of those names. Oh my gosh. You've never met a June? No. I haven't. Oh, I've seen those before. Yeah. I remember those.
Starting point is 00:11:51 It was more of a joke. I wasn't actually serious that she wrote of him. I feel like I would have known that by now. No, no. No, no. I was Googling Judy B. Jones and nothing was coming up. That's why I was like, I don't understand what is going on. Like you were saying the wrong name.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I couldn't remember if it was Judy or Junie, honestly. Okay. Anyways, moving on. You are fired. That was a disaster. Yeah. It was a joke. Okay.
Starting point is 00:12:17 It really was. Oh, man. Did you say June the whole time or were you saying Judy at the beginning? I was saying Judy. I just don't know if it was. I didn't know in my brain. if it was spelled Judy or Junie. But I was saying Judy.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Okay. Okay. Got it. Listen, I'm coming back from a holiday break. Leave me alone. Yeah. And it's cool. Judy had a couple of her girlfriends over. That was fun.
Starting point is 00:12:40 You know, met the girls. They were gabbing it up. Nice. Yeah. Had a little girls night with Aunt Judy. Well, yeah. The one lady was visiting from Dallas. The other one lives about 15 minutes away.
Starting point is 00:12:51 And the one from Dallas was leaving on one day. And the next day, three more girlfriends were flying. in. I mean, Judy B. I mean, she was partying. She already started calling her Judy B Jones. I was going to say Judy be rocking. Judy be, popular. That's awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Well, I'm glad you guys had a good time. And what about you? Wichita. The big wedding. Big W. It was wild. I, listen, you'd be so proud of me. So they, you know, you know the dollar dance that they sometimes were doing?
Starting point is 00:13:21 They didn't do that. They did a different version. And this is what happened. So he went to Southwestern. And Taylor went to K State? But you're going to say where Southwestern is. It's in Kansas. Because there's a Southwestern in Georgetown, Texas, too.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Oh, okay. Well, it's Southwestern in Kansas. Okay, got it. So the best man. I keep wanting to call him the man of honoring. It really makes you mad. Yes, it's really annoying. Best man.
Starting point is 00:13:45 And he did Southwestern and I made of honor did K State. So we both had like a hat helmet situation. It basically was like Southwestern versus K State. We ran around just collecting money. And they were just like, everybody was just chilling on the dance for like standing. But I almost tackled the best man trying to get this $100 from somebody. It was hilarious.
Starting point is 00:14:06 There's like video of me running around in my heels and dress with this like foam finger of K state. I'm like, who's for K State? You want to know how much money I collected? How much? $430. How much he collect? 230. K state, baby.
Starting point is 00:14:19 I was diving left and right. I mean, yeah. You give me a chance to be competitive. I'm going to compete. They usually give more to the girls. Well, no, I went in like my, all the, the three, there was two nephews and an Easter. Besides that, it was a child free wedding. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:34 So just our, like, our family was there. And the three kids were helping me collect money. Oh, see, okay, you had help her. See, there's always something there. There's always a little wrinkle. But that's good. That's a lot of fun. Yeah, I made it more fun than like the traditional one.
Starting point is 00:14:47 So that was cool. And then, yeah, I feel like I crushed the maid of honor speech. Did you go watch it? I posted the full thing on my interview. No, I had no idea. You posted a whole thing. Okay. Well, maybe you should.
Starting point is 00:14:57 go check it out and let me know your full thought. You only got a piece of it. Well, I got to be honest with you, your speech, they gave you a sympathy laugh that I thought was way overrated. When? When you were talking about the gymnastics and we were going to be on the Olympic team, then you were like, obviously we didn't make it. That wasn't a sympathy laugh.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Oh, they all laughed like you were Chris Rock. I was like, that wasn't even that funny. It's funny if you knew us because we, I mean, we were actually good gymnast and we were cheerleaders. No, no, I understand that. But they laughed. Like, that was the funniest joke they ever heard. And I was like, guys.
Starting point is 00:15:26 No, they didn't. I'm just telling you. It wasn't a sympathy laugh and it wasn't a hard laugh. The hard laugh I got was when I actually played the joke on her husband. When I was like, Seth, I can't read what you wrote when I was like making fun of him. What did you, I don't remember that joke. So I had him on like note cards and I'm sitting there. I'm like, oh, now on to Seth.
Starting point is 00:15:46 He's handsome. He's witty. And I'm like trying to read. I'm like, Seth, I can't read what you wrote. Faking like he wrote the nice things about himself. That I got a like booming. laugh from. That's funny. And then I also made a nod to the meeting on Bumble that got a solid laugh. What did you say? It was like, I'm really glad that you guys got to meet each other. I'm
Starting point is 00:16:09 also really glad Bumble knew you guys were the perfect match. But it was a funny joke because Seth for a long time didn't say that they met on Bumble. Yeah. So like played into that whole thing because I, I guess he's my friend now, but he's really my cousin's best friend. He met his girl on one of the dating apps. Yeah. They're married. They have a kid. But they went to the same college, but they didn't date. But then they met like a year after college on the dating app. And they told their family they met at the grocery store. So funny. Some people are so weird about it. They're still married in a kid and they won't tell
Starting point is 00:16:47 their parents that they met on a dating app. And I'm like, that is so crazy. Like my cousin, this is weird. Back in the 90s. Okay. Nineties. Met a dude in a chat room. Nice. And they got married. Are you talking about AOL?
Starting point is 00:17:03 No, it was when you would say age, sex location when you're chatting with somebody. Oh God. I've never even heard of that. Okay. Like there wasn't pictures. There was nothing. Okay. And you would just chat in this little box, a big chat room.
Starting point is 00:17:16 And then you could go private and you could chat to each other. They met in there. And my aunt was freaking out. And my mom was like, don't worry. Don't worry. It's not like they're going to get married. I think I'm married. But he's great.
Starting point is 00:17:33 He's not crazy, right? No, they're divorced now. Oh. Yeah. They're divorced now. You should have led with that. But at the wedding, they go, oh, this love story begins with one click into cyberspace. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:17:46 Like, it was way before this. Like, this wasn't normal. And like, they had to mail each other pictures in the mail. That's wild. That's a lot of effort. And he lived in England. How long did they, were they married for? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:18:00 A lot of years, they had three kids. Okay. So it worked out. It just didn't work out forever. Yeah. Crazy. That's wild. Wild.
Starting point is 00:18:11 Yeah. But I will say your closing line, I wish you would have made it up. That was good. But dang, I thought you would have. Man, I still, I would still pat myself on my back for my brothers. When I gave my best man speech at my brother's wedding, because he was how old is he now so he was like 37 when he got married I think okay okay maybe 36 and I said all right guys I'm going to go ahead and wrap this up
Starting point is 00:18:43 and hopefully you don't see but that's so so much more vile like that thing that's never going to come out of my mouth I mean it was hilarious like because everybody you know It's like you need to have a kid to hurry up. And I mean, that got a, ah, they laugh. That's pretty good. Well, listen. And I think. But you don't want, your sisters didn't in a hurry to have kids.
Starting point is 00:19:07 I mean, yeah, no. And it's, I'm not like. Wait, is she pregnant? No, she's not. She's not. But I'm also like, I just wasn't going to be. I was going to do a little roast some joke, but not. You were going to go vile like I did.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Yeah. I had to go vile. We have different senses of humor. Yeah. Yeah. I still, I still did good. I know. I'm not saying too bad. I didn't listen to the whole thing, so I don't know. But I just thought my endings was like, I was like, dang.
Starting point is 00:19:31 That is a good ending. Yeah. I do. Listen, the closing line is the, that's the zinger. But I will say, I do not like note cards. I don't like people that read it off a phone. I don't understand that. You just want them to like wing it from the head. Yes. Oh, you crazy.
Starting point is 00:19:46 Like have a heart in it. Just talking from your heart. Like I don't understand. Just because there's no cards. But here's the thing. Because then you're not looking at the people. Oh, I was. You're looking at the car and looking at it.
Starting point is 00:19:59 But I also maybe need to think of I'm just more comfortable doing that. Yeah, that's just your way of doing it. Most people get up there, don't do that. Like they're not, they don't want the people looking at them. And I went to one wedding. Oh my gosh. The best man may have given a 25 minutes speech. Yeah. I was sitting there.
Starting point is 00:20:20 I drank a beer. I was like, all right, cool. And he was still in the middle school years. I went to the bar, waited in line, got another beer, came back, and he was on the high school years. And I was like, oh, my God. Drink that beer, went, got another beer, came back, and now he was on the post-college years. And I was just like, what is going on, dude? Yeah, that's too long.
Starting point is 00:20:49 You do not need to tell about every single memory you have with that individual. gosh. But, I mean, he finally ended at some point. Well, yeah, the life went on. The best man and I kept were giving each other crap at the beginning. He's like, how long is yours? I was like, I think it's around like 3.30. He's like, mine's six minutes.
Starting point is 00:21:14 And I was like, dang, that's long. And then he goes up and mine ended up being four and his was like nine minutes. I was like, that was long. But his was funny, you said. Yeah, yeah, he did good. They were both really great. speeches. We both made both of them laugh and both of them cry. So I feel like that was success. Good. Was it his brother? No, it's like his best friend though since they were pretty young.
Starting point is 00:21:34 Okay. Does he have a brother? No. He has brother-in-law, but he has a sister. So yeah, so that's a wedding. I'll share something else, but we're going to take a quick break. Yeah, let's take a break. I need a heater. Okay. So I received one of my favorite compliments ever at the wedding, lunchbox. Oh, I'm going to guess. Favorite compliments ever. I don't think you could possibly guess this because it's so random, but I'll give you a shot. Okay. Your energy is infectious.
Starting point is 00:22:12 No, it was not that random. Okay. Not like that. It's not a synodinal. You're going to laugh when you hear it. So it's one of my sister's friend of a friend kind of situation. There were a few people that listened to the show or whatever. And so people had come up to me at the wedding.
Starting point is 00:22:27 But this guy, he came up and he goes, you're in my face. favorite waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings. And I was like, wait, what? And it's been a decade since I've worked at Buffalo Wild Wings. But I spent from, you know, 16 to 21 in and out of Buffalo Wild Wings in Wichita. And I felt like I was a good server. I made a lot of money. And he like remembered it like it was yesterday. He's like, I'd come in with all my high school friends. And you were so awesome. You'd give us free wings sometimes. You'd chat with us. Like we were like normal people. he was like, I just remember you were so awesome. And that's why we would always go to Buffalo Wild Wings.
Starting point is 00:23:04 You were my favorite waitress. That means he had a crush on you. That's 100%. Okay. 100%. That is 100% what that means. It's like, man, I, I, because you just let me have this. That was a cool compliment.
Starting point is 00:23:15 No, it's a cool compliment, but I'm saying back then. I mean, it was a high school kid. So you were older than him. Might have been. I mean, I started there when I was 16. I don't think I started serving until I was 18. Right. So we might have been kind of tracking at the same age.
Starting point is 00:23:31 But wouldn't you know him if he was in high school with you? No, he wasn't at my high school. There was so many high schools in Wichita. Well, so many in which I'll calm down. There's like four. Well, there's also all the outskirts and people go from west to east all the time. Okay. So.
Starting point is 00:23:44 All right. But it's like when you say a lot, like let's not say like a hundred. There's Andover, Goddard, Mays, and Dell, all the private schools, like the one Abby went to. Then you have the public schools. Whoa. Whoa. Breaking news. You didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Abby went private? Yeah. Oh. Well, she comes on. We talk east-west. I'm like, you're always boogey. I went to the public school. So, okay.
Starting point is 00:24:06 But I'm just saying, him and my, he said him and his high school buddies. Yeah, him and his, not mine. Right, but I'm trying to think, I was just thinking maybe you were in college and he was in high school. No, not yet. But how old is your sister? She's two years older than me. But I don't know that he is. He's, so she's friends with his fiance.
Starting point is 00:24:26 His fiance. Got it. So I'm not sure. the age differences and whatever. I'm just telling you that means like he's saying back in the day I had a crush on you when I would and so we would come in. No, I was just his favorite waitress at Buffalo Wiles. Let me have that. You can still be his favorite, but he also can have a crush on you. Okay, whatever. I mean, that is Coker. I had a crush on you. Hey, you were my favorite cashier. I'd always go through your line. Yeah, because I wanted to see it because you were freaking hot. That's what I mean.
Starting point is 00:24:53 Okay. Well, whatever it may be, my time of Buffalo Wallyings, the blood, sweat, and tears, man. They came to fruition and it was a cool moment. I wonder if people are like, man, you were my favorite cart guy at Sam's Club. You did a great I mean, nobody's ever told you that. I don't know if people, you know, I don't know if people remember me, but I mean, I grind it. I was so good at that. I didn't think
Starting point is 00:25:13 anybody remembered me at Buffalo and then that happened and I was like, this is the coolest thing. I guarantee, I wonder, and this may be weird. I don't know if anybody's still listening was my, I was their orientation leader at UTSA and if they remember that. I dominated that too. I was so good at it.
Starting point is 00:25:31 I was so good. People loved me. Loved me. Okay, but the difference being you would have been there one and only orientation leader. That's true. Versus like you can have a million waitresses in your life and I was the one waitress you remember a decade ago. Yeah, she was your, you were his favorite at Buffalo Wilding. So I bet you he would go and request your section.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Probably. I had regulars. That's good. Yeah, I had lots of regulars. Yeah, I had regulars at Dunkin' Donuts too. Did you? They'd come through the drive-thru every morning. this one lady would get her medium coffee and two old-fashioned donuts every time two chocolate
Starting point is 00:26:02 old-fashioned so do you think she was a regular for you or a regular for Duncan not Duncan it costs her two bucks two bucks okay well what's your favorite compliment you've ever received I have no idea okay well if it comes to mine like I mean I got a lot of compliments so I don't really know okay well this is just one that stood out nobody's ever said that I understand I don't have any idea okay what the best compliment I've ever gotten is I I really really have, I couldn't even begin to tell you. Okay. There was this random.
Starting point is 00:26:32 So on Instagram, I also was talking to somebody about this. There's like granola girls, you know, where they're, or they're crunchy, where they are very into health and wellness and they're, they're not going to eat things that are bad for them. They're called like granola. They're very granola. Got it. It's a life aesthetic.
Starting point is 00:26:49 I was going to say girls with hairy armpits. I was going to throw up. It could fall under that. Not fully, but some could. Yes. We want people to keep listening to the pot. we got to stop talking about that. So, well, it made me think, like, what aesthetic?
Starting point is 00:27:01 If somebody looked at your life from an overarching point of view, do you feel like your life would fit under? I don't know what, I don't know what aesthetic means. Aesthetic is like, okay, let me give you a full-blown. Yeah, you're going to have to Google because you don't know either. No, I do. Like, I want my Instagram to be aesthetic-looking. I want my household to feel aesthetically pleasing.
Starting point is 00:27:21 Okay. It's, I just don't know how to explain it. Like, if they were looking at my life, what aesthetic would they give it? Well, give me a different aesthetic. Okay. Aesthetic? The definition of aesthetic. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:27:33 Go. It is a set of principles underlying in guiding the work of a particular artist or it's somebody concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty. So it's like an aesthetic is beauty. So what is my aesthetic? Yeah, for your life. Is it sports? Is it you being a dad?
Starting point is 00:27:50 Is it like? I don't understand what you're saying. Like I don't understand. Not even a little bit. No. Like I don't even understand what you mean like what aesthetic. If a stranger met you, what do they think your overarching picture of your life is like? Like, are you all about the sports?
Starting point is 00:28:05 There's always sports involved. Are you such a dad? Yeah. Like, what is your... Fun. Always fun. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Always involved. Yeah. What is like your fun moments of your life that you don't feel like maybe other people have and theirs? I mean, just going to the grocery store, I can make fun. Yeah. Like, I play games. Like, the kids drive the carton, right? If they're not steering, I crash into the walls.
Starting point is 00:28:29 So everything is kind of constantly this kind of game idea to you. Yeah. Like if they're not steering, I run them into the display. Yeah. Like the in cap or the, you know, the fruit stand. I run into it. Oh, gosh, you got to steer. What are you doing? And anything, I mean, I just, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:28:46 Like, you want to make everything fun. That's an aesthetic. Everything. Yeah. Everything. Like, I try not to be serious ever. It's a cool. It's like an inner reflection of looking at your life.
Starting point is 00:28:56 That's all this is doing. Yeah. Okay. I just didn't know what you mean by aesthetic. I know it's a little deep for you. No, no. I've just never had anybody say, hey, what's your aesthetic? What?
Starting point is 00:29:04 I don't know. Well, you know. Maybe what's your personality? Well, yeah, but that's everybody. You've had that question a million times. You've never had this question before. That's why it's fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:14 It's just hard when I don't know even understand it. But yeah, like I try to make it in everything kind of enjoyable. I don't know. Yeah. I think that's a great thing about your life. That's cool. and it's a cool perspective. Like even when we're driving home sometimes,
Starting point is 00:29:29 I'll just be like, you want to go right or left? And they picked it away, and we just go that way, and we just eventually we'll make it home. See? Nobody ever knew that about you. It's a stupid game
Starting point is 00:29:38 because it adds sometimes 20 minutes to your drive home, but hey. Do you do that when there's traffic too, or is it only when there's like no traffic? No, no, no, traffic too. I mean, but if it's traffic, I'll just won't give them that option. I'll be right or left,
Starting point is 00:29:50 straight's traffic, so I want to go. What about with food? Do you kind of try and play games with food with them? Yeah, we try to have a competition, like making me eat asparagus. And we're like, dude, don't make your pee smell. We'll see whose pee smells the worst. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:05 See? This is a great aesthetic. Hey, it works. They eat that dang asparagus. Because they want their pee to smell? They want to see who smells the worst. You found the key to unlocking hacks. It's just gross things.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Yeah. I mean, that's a good one. Okay. That's good. Yeah, I don't know anything else. That's okay. I wanted people to have a little peatheas. into your life is what I was doing.
Starting point is 00:30:27 What's his day? Oh, man. It's really exciting. It's the 15th, 13th? Yeah. Okay. I'm just, I just got, I'm trying to look. Wow.
Starting point is 00:30:37 Okay. Okay. All right. Well, we're going to take one more. What's your aesthetic? My aesthetic is definitely clean. It's just clean. See.
Starting point is 00:30:45 I like everything to be clean and organized. See, I can't live that life. I know. Because then all you do is spend time. Everybody has a different aesthetic. No, no, I'm just saying. You waste too much time worrying about clean. You can't relax.
Starting point is 00:30:58 I've learned to relax. Took a lot of time, but I did like relax. That's what I'm saying. Like, oh my God. But it's more, it's not like that I have to have deep cleans all the time. It's just that I like to keep things clean and organized. Me, I'm just like, whatever.
Starting point is 00:31:11 It's just going to get messed up anyway. So what's the, why stress about it? Probably a little different too. It's like picking up the toy room. You pick it up and then like, guess what? Hour later? It's like they vomited all over the place. I think my aesthetic will change when I have.
Starting point is 00:31:25 kids. I do think that that is very different. You better hope it does or else you're going to drive yourself up a wall. No. You will. No, I mean, like I won't let myself get to that point. I just let it be what it is. I mean, kids may, I mean, I was never, I mean, because I don't feel like you've ever been clean as well in general. My house growing up wasn't clean because we were just, I mean, here's my thing also. I'm like, would I rather spend time cleaning or rather spend time hanging out? I'd rather hang out. Is, let me ask you this. Is your guys, house ever fully clean. No. No chance. You never have like, okay, Sunday, we got to clean up. Let's get the house back in order. Do the kids have to keep their rooms clean? They have one room.
Starting point is 00:32:06 Okay. Do they have to keep it clean? Yeah, they don't ever play in it. They play in the toy room. Got it. But so do they know picking up and stuff? Have you taught them that? No, what is that? Picking up things? Like, yes. I mean, we don't just tell me. Well, I'm trying to figure out the dynamic here. I mean, I'm not just like, hey, guys, you just, you just told me your house. You never do like a reset in your house. So I'm just trying to figure out. You clean one room and all right, cool. And then the next room, oh, it's a mess. Then they go to the other room and they mess that room up.
Starting point is 00:32:30 It's like, all right, cool. So, but when does the pickup happen then if they just leave it? I don't know. Random days, random times, random hours. Really enjoy this peek into your life. It's been great. Thank you for sharing. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:32:43 That's what I do. I'm an open book here. You know what I mean? Okay. We're going to take a break. We'll be back. What is something that maybe you've newly discovered that other people probably knew about? And it can be on a wide variety
Starting point is 00:32:59 And I'll let you think Because I have something I discovered this on TikTok Did you know there's a Kennedy curse You know like the famous Kennedys Yeah, a couple of them died No, not a couple There's like 10 deaths
Starting point is 00:33:11 And serious injuries on top of that Of other things That's not good And I didn't even know this existed This whole like Kennedy curse thing So do not name your kid Kennedy is what she's saying Wild, let me Do not name your kid Kennedy
Starting point is 00:33:24 I'm gonna show it I'm going to read these to you. Great. My friend, Wendy, just had a daughter and she named it Kennedy. Oh, no. Congrats, Wendy. Well, I think it's his family. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:34 And this is coming from TikTok, so some of these things could be. Who knows? Yeah, we don't check them. We just believe them. Who knows? So Rosemary Kennedy was lobotomized in 1941. Who is that? Listen, they're just all part of the famous.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Listen, they're part of the famous family. I'm going to do this quickly if you let me. Go. And the operation, like, drastically. failed so she couldn't walk or talk much like anymore. So that was the first one. That's where it first started. 1944, Joseph Kennedy Jr. was killed in action while he was serving in World War II. Then we have Kathleen Kennedy was killed in a plane crash in 1948 when she was traveling with her new partner to meet her dad in France. She was 28. In 1963, Jackie Kennedy gave birth to
Starting point is 00:34:18 Patrick Kennedy, who was born prematurely and had complications. And he passed away. Is Jackie Kennedy Oh? I think so. Yeah, that's Jackie King. That's a picture of them. That's a picture of them. Okay, question. Again, don't ask me too many details. Did they become, like, did this Kennedy make all the ones the previous famous, or were the ones previous famous and? I mean, I think the Kennedys have always been famous. It's like a famous family forever.
Starting point is 00:34:41 I didn't know. I didn't know if the Kennedy guy is the one that made him famous. Are you talking about JFK? Yeah. Like, is he the reason the family is famous? It's possible. I mean, he was a president, so. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Very possible. So then we just associate with people before him, but. And it's like the Kennedy curse of their whole family. Very possible, I don't know. And then obviously President JFK was assassinated in 1963. His brother, Robert F. Kennedy, was assassinated in 1968 when he was running for the Democratic presidential nomination. So two assassinations. Senator Ted Kennedy drove his car off a bridge in 1969.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Wow. And smart. Yeah. David Kennedy died in 1984 of an overdose. And Michael Kennedy died in 1997 from a skiing accident. then John F. Kennedy Jr. was killed when an aircraft he was flying crashed into the Atlantic Ocean in 1999. That's the last one on here. Like, that's insane. I never knew about like the Kennedy curse and all these things. That is horrific and so tragic. It's pretty bad.
Starting point is 00:35:43 Isn't that? Did you ever hear about any of those? I'm so curious because I don't know. I mean, I knew that they. I was just too young. No, I think people talk about it, but I just don't pay attention because I'm like, I don't really know them. Well, you're so smart with remembering things. That's why I was curious if you... But I mean, like, I don't know who half those people work. Like, they're not famous. Yeah, I think it's just the whole Kennedy family. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:03 But it's like Billy Kennedy, the third uncle, it's like, who? Like, what do we... But that's so insane for that, all of that to happen within one family. That is pretty crazy. Incredibly traumatic. So, again, that's on TikTok. I don't know. Yeah, TikTok doesn't lie, guys.
Starting point is 00:36:20 No, TikTok does lie. No, no, TikTok don't lie. So just, you know, the dates may be off, I don't know. But the Kennedy curse, that's what I learned about. Yeah. And I was fascinated. So is there anything in your life? It doesn't have to be history.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Oh, yeah. Twin Flames. Yeah, the podcast you wanted to talk about. That you can't talk about. I cannot believe how stupid people are. Can you give me a synopsis on what it's about? It's this dude and this chick. They start posting about their relationship on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:36:52 Okay. So this is recent scenario. Yeah. And then they start like spewing all this information like, oh, this is how you make a perfect relationship. Then they have subscriptions and people pay. And they teach people like, okay, you know, your twin flame, you know what I mean? Them, if they reject you, that's just a test to see how bad you want them. Don't ever give up.
Starting point is 00:37:17 That no is a, they're testing you. So if they're telling you not to contact them, that's not real. That's testing you. So you still have to contact them. Oh, wow. This is some psychotic behavior. And people do it. People would still go do it.
Starting point is 00:37:33 People like, hey, I have a restraining order to you. And they're like, that's just a test. Are you going to be a wimp? Are you going to chase your true love? Don't let your true love get away. Oh, my God. Okay, so it says a couple built a spiritual business to help people find true love. love. Now, former followers are sharing their disturbing practices in this docket series.
Starting point is 00:37:54 It's crazy. Wild. People, I'm like, they're like, oh, they're engaged to someone else. You go break that engagement up. You show up at their house. Okay. No. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:38:11 Is that the two, is that the couple, like on the thing? Is that actually them or is that just actors that play them? I don't know. I've listened to a podcast. I have no idea. I don't know what these people look like. Got it. I don't know anything about them.
Starting point is 00:38:23 I just, I mean, I could. Because there's a podcast about it and there's a show about it. Yeah, I did a podcast. Okay. Because we were stuck in traffic in Chicago and my wife's like, oh, what about? I was like, oh, yeah, Amy listened to that. But I guess Amy watched the show. Is it just a, is it like a limited series podcast?
Starting point is 00:38:38 Yeah. Got it. Yeah, it's like five episodes. Okay. And I just was blown away how people, these two weirdos on the internet, I shouldn't say weirdos, allegedly. These two people on YouTube are telling you to commit crimes to get to your twin flame because that is for sure them. And they do it.
Starting point is 00:39:02 These people go do it. And I'm like, yeah, that's truly psychotic behavior for sure. It's also pushing that behavior, which is scary. Right. The cops said they're going to do this to me. That's just a test. Oh, my God. And they would go under, what's the twin flame?
Starting point is 00:39:20 they go under the guise that it's like your twin flame? Is that what the whole twin flame thing is? Twin flame is it's like your burning desire. You're meant for someone. There's your, you have a matching flame. It is, guys,
Starting point is 00:39:37 if you've not listened to this or I don't know how to do it, if it's good, or maybe you were part of the twin flame, man, I don't understand it. Baffling to me, baffling. That's insane.
Starting point is 00:39:49 Yeah, yeah, that's crazy. Okay. Well, we just we just dropped some knowledge bonds on people. Twin Flames and the Kennedy curse, man. Guys, oh, I never heard of this thing. Never heard of it. And it's like, where have I been living? Well, you're not living in a cult for one. I mean, that's very cult-like behavior that's happening there. Yeah, that's true. And there's quite a few of those that happen. That's still happen today.
Starting point is 00:40:12 Yeah, the one, the way down. The way, oh, the one that's here. Yeah. Yeah. I never watch. I don't watch any. I don't, I'm not at murder mystery person. I don't get into any of those. What? I'm an idiot. I'm an idiot. What?
Starting point is 00:40:28 Ah, nothing. I just thought of something. What did you think of? Oh, nothing. Do you not want to share with the class? Well, it was something I meant to do on sore losers yesterday and I forgot. What was it? You can do it here.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Well, I'll save it. What? Yeah. Okay, well, I think we're done dropping some knowledge bombs on the people about things. Yeah, we should. We're going to be. to go. It's time for us to go. Is it time to go? Yeah. Yeah, let's wrap this baby up. Tell people where they can find you, hear you, all that good stuff. Well, you can't find me on Twitter. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:41:02 you're on your own there. Not actually on your own. I did try, and it's just not coming back. I don't think it's a lack of people wanting to help. It's that Twitter doesn't have employees anymore, and we don't have a connection with them like we used to because of everything that happened. They only replied to my inquiries. How many inquiries do you have? Five. I have to follow-up email after follow-up email and nothing. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think they have the support that they used to have at, you know. X has kind of turned into a dumpster fire.
Starting point is 00:41:34 Radio Lunchbox on Instagram. Soar Losers podcast. You got to listen to Monday's podcast. I mean. Lunchbox cries. Cool. We went to Wrigley. He doesn't deny it.
Starting point is 00:41:47 He does not deny it. Tears were shed. All right. Well, follow the show at Bobby Bone Show. and you can follow me at WebGurl Morgan. Wait, you know what I meant to talk about? Including Twitter. What?
Starting point is 00:41:56 I meant to talk about this. You, are we doing, do we have another segment to do or? Well, we're going to go to a listener Q&A, but we can do it here. What's happening? I have officially fired you as a food recommendator. You can't even say it. Because I have decided that you don't understand good food. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:42:22 No, no. Let's not go that hard. You understand good environments. Like you, you. I understand good food also. I don't think you do. I don't. Not to be rude.
Starting point is 00:42:33 It's nothing personal. But you know good vibe spots. And when they're good vibe spots, they don't have to have good food because people just like the vibe. And so I'm like, oh, yeah, I'll eat this food. Because you recommended another restaurant. And I took my wife. We haven't been out to dinner.
Starting point is 00:42:50 And I don't know how long. And we go, and I was just like, this thing good. It was just bland. There was nothing great about it. And the vibe was cool. Like I liked the, you know, the look of it, the feel of it. It was a fun place. But the food just wasn't, like, I was just like, whatever.
Starting point is 00:43:11 I can just. Okay, hold on. I do vibe and food. Both. I always do both. If they only have one over the other, I typically don't recommend it. Yeah, you're a viber. No, it's both.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Also, how many times have I recommended places to you and you've loved them? This is your first time. No, don't. No, you'd be honest here. You've asked me for multiple recommendations. I don't even know if I've asked you for food. Yes, you have. Man.
Starting point is 00:43:34 That's not true. You have multiple recommendations. And this is one time that you didn't like it. But you know, your wife said she would go back. She would go back for a drink, she said. She'd go back for a drink, but she said, but I also told you what to get and you didn't get it. So that's also your fault. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:43:52 When you try multiple things on the menu, multiple, multiple. And I was like, yeah. Okay, well, you can't be mad at me that I told you what to get and you didn't get that. Well, I'm just telling you. I told you get the enchiladas. Did you get the queso? Yes. It was okay.
Starting point is 00:44:11 It's not my favorite in town. I liked the guacamole and I liked the enchiladas. Blan. I think the guacamole is a new problem because you're not. Because you just tried to eat three pounds and I don't think you're over it yet. Bland. I'm just, I'm not. One out of ten.
Starting point is 00:44:27 One out of ten. Nine out of ten is really good for me. All right. Thank you. That's Find Me Radio Lunchbox on Instagram, sore losers. Not on Twitter. Yeah, not on Twitter. And when you need food recommendations, don't go to someone on.
Starting point is 00:44:43 You know what? What? The next time you text me, ask you for recommendations for your food. friends, which I can go through my text messages. There's at least five text messages I got, hey, give me all the good spots. You know what? We're back to this. I'm not doing that either.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Here's the thing. When people are coming to town, to me, I think it's more about vibe. No, it's about both. You should get both. I'm all about having both. I love good food. Okay. And there are places I have gone where I'm like, I'm not going to recommend that.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Yep. And I had a good experience there. Okay. Just because you got some random grilled octopus. Also, you were eating octopus, so that's a huge problem. I got more than that. But the grilled octopus was cold, so I don't understand. Did they grill it like a month ago?
Starting point is 00:45:29 Like, I don't get it. Maybe, maybe you're just not boogey enough for that place. I mean, I don't know. I didn't understand it. I was like, oh, that looks good. No, no. Okay. Well, I'm done helping.
Starting point is 00:45:38 I'm done helping. I'm done helping with Twitter. I'm done helping with the recommendations. You are on your own. I'm done helping with this podcast. I got to go. We out. Bye, everybody.
Starting point is 00:45:45 Bye. That's the best bits of the week with Morgan. Thanks for listening. Be sure to check out the other two parts this weekend. Go follow the show on all social platforms.
