I'm back. Well, technically, you have had three new best bits of the week. Even though we were on vacation and Bobby got married and all the things happened, yes, I did three new best bits of the week. Not new segments, but I brought on new guests. I had Amy on, and then I had Hillary on.

And we talk about a lot of random things. It does have to do with the segments that we talk about on the show. But most of the time, it ends up being very random and a lot more fun. So this week I'm bringing on nobody other than the best man, Eddie. Hey! Hey! It was a super big week. Bobby got married.

We all came back from vacation. There was so much happening. And I thought it would be perfect to bring on Eddie so he can share a lot of things that, you know, we didn't really get to during the show this week on top of all of the exciting stuff that we did get to. So are you ready to spread some details? I'm ready. Let's go. All right.

Let's go. Coming in at number seven, the most popular foods from our home states. This week, a listener called in and she wanted to know what we thought were the most popular foods from our home states. And, you know, we broke down the list and we have foods from Arkansas, Texas, Michigan, Kansas, Florida. we hit a bunch of them when we talked about it. But Eddie, we're not going to talk about food because we've already discussed that in detail. But what's something else that you think? You're from Texas.

Your home state is known for. Not food related. It could be. But like something else, something that like this is Texas. Texas. I think that when people think of Texas, they always think big. Like, ooh, Texas, everything's bigger in Texas. I think that's what they say around the world.

Yeah, I feel like that's like Texas's slogan. Right? I remember being like, I don't know, in Mexico or, oh, we had German friends. This is what it was. German friends that we knew through like friends of a friend or whatever. And they came down to Texas and they're like, they say that everything in Texas is bigger. I'm like, you're from Germany and they say that. And I think that I don't know where it comes from.

But really, like, people don't understand that the size of Texas is huge. Huge. But not the biggest state. Not the biggest state. I learned that in easy trivia. I grew up in South, South Texas. Macallon, Texas, the very southern tip of Texas, seven miles north of Mexico. What's the closest big city to you in Texas?

San Antonio. Okay. And that is four hours away. Okay. So not very close. Right. But that's the closest big city because, I mean, you got Mexico seven miles south, north, San Antonio.

You want to go a little northeast. You got Houston. You want to go north-north. You have Dallas. And then you can go way west to El Paso. How close are you to South Padre? 45 minutes. Okay.

I've been to South Padre and you are going down. To Mexico. Yes. Okay. So I think that just it really is a big, big state where like it is just full of wide open spaces. And I don't think people realize that. And when I think of Texas, I think of land. Just big, big, big land.

And mesquite trees, which I don't know of any other state. Yeah. What is that? If you cook, if you're like a griller or a smoker, if you like to smoke like meat or whatever, you know what mesquite is. Oh, is that what you put in the grill to like help the bar. barbecue or whatever. Yes, it's mesquite wood. Okay.

And they use these wooden chips to smoke meat. And people love the mesquite chips because they have this unique flavor, this unique smoky flavor that only comes from Texas. I don't, I'm not 100% sure that there aren't mesquite trees anywhere else in the United States. But I know that in South Texas, mesquite trees, that's what we have. They're not very pretty. But man, that wood produces good smoke.

And you guys would like chop them down to like send out to Texas. But would you ever chop them down and use them yourself? It's not like you would make a house out of mesquite wood. You would like just do firewood with mesquite. That's it. Okay. That's it. Or cook with it.

I'm trying to understand because I'm vegetarian over here. So I have no reference to it. Which I'm sure the food bit was hard for you because you're like, uh, what is? Well, yeah, I had to admit. It was like, barbecue. But I'm like, I don't eat barbecue. You ever had a rib? No.

That's crazy. The only meat I've ever had in my life is a hamburger. Like, I've never had a steak. I've never ate any kind of fish. But you've also said, too, though that you're not, like you would try me, right? You just, you won't do it because of the animal part of it. Yeah, well, it's like a twofold, right?

Like, I'm not against trying it. I know it's a part of people's lives. I'm not the person that's going to change. I mean, I do think we need to figure out some carbon footprint situation. So climate change. That's a whole other situation. We're not talking about that. Yeah, no.

That's a podcast on its own. But so, yes, I do believe in that in the animal side of things, but I can't eat it because I get sick. And so if I were to try, I would literally end up. You probably get sick now because of it. Yes, because I haven't had it my entire life. My body's like, what are you putting in me? You're missing out on great, great. Barbecue's my favorite too. And like in the food segment, Amy said, oh, did Amy say? She said tacos for tacos. Tocos. I would have gone brisket. Because, because. Brisket or street tacos? Like, brisket street tacos? Maybe. Maybe. Street tacos. It's Mexico for me. Okay. That's where they come from. I'm growing up seven miles north of

Mexico, we would easily just on a Friday night, this is not me parting. This is when I was a kid. You had to clarify. We also did that when I was in high school. But when, you know, I was a kid kid, my parents would go, we'd want to go eat in Mexico at a nice restaurant. And you would drive from McCallin to Mexico and you'd be there in like 10 minutes. And I remember the smell of Mexico. It's like one of those things where you close your eyes and you cross the border and you can just smell the street tacos. Okay. So you can't give tacos to Texas. No, I can't. Yeah. Mixed in with a little bit of smog and like carbon monoxide because I don't think. You're not sure how to feel about that. I don't think Mexico had like a lot of like regulations on car.

Oh, the air filtration was not good. No. So it was like a mix of street taco smell and like carbon monoxide. But yeah. So I wouldn't give Texas tacos. Yes. There's there's text mex. But brisket. But brisket is Texas barbecue. Beef. So you're trying to take barbecue from Kansas? No. No, you guys do pork ribs in Kansas. I mean, I don't know.

All I know is it's called Kansas City barbecue. I don't know the difference. No one really does beef ribs. Beef ribs is like they're really big and I think Texas does beef ribs, but it's not really a thing. Okay. But brisket is Texas barbecue. It's beef.

It's like a big chunk of beef. Kansas, Kansas City barbecue is their pork ribs. Okay. With good, man, I hope I'm not messing this up. I'm pretty sure. Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're pork ribs and not beef ribs. I mean, I believe you. I think they are ribs.

Are they big? Have you seen them? I mean, I've seen them, yeah. They're big and they have a lot of. They're gigantic. They're gigantic? Sometimes, yeah. Okay.

It just depends on the plate. I hope I'm not wrong because I don't think I've ever been to Kansas and had barbecue. I've only been to Wichita. I've never been to Kansas City. Yeah, and I mean, and Wichita has some really cool spots for it, but Kansas City is really like the hot spot because it's also a super big city.

Okay. Yeah, I don't know. I'll just stick with barbecue because I don't know all the differences. And you're giving me all different kind of meat and I don't know. Well, because every time we go visit places that really like, oh, we have the best barbecue. They do. Like Nashville's got okay barbecue. It's fine.

The hot chicken. North Carolina has good, good barbecue. But it's different. It's a completely different kind of barbecue than Texas. I feel like multiple states could be known for barbecue because it's all different kinds. Different seasoning, different flavoring. Yes, but no one does brisket, like Texas. So brisket would have would have been Texas.

Yes. And they're known for their land. They're wide, wide open spaces. And the longhorns, I associate longhorns with Texas. Yeah. Yeah, totally. Like so. Not even just like the Texas longhorns, but like literally the animal.

The animal with the long, long horns. Yeah. The cow. I mean, they were literally by Mike D's wedding. Everybody was fascinated with the longhorns outside. Do you remember when you drove to South Padre? You drive? Oh, terrible drive.

Long, long. So like after San Antonio, you probably drove through San Antonio, but after San Antonio or somewhere around there, maybe south of Houston, there's nothing, like not even gas stations. There's like a strip of like two hours, maybe an hour and a half, two hours. Yeah, you look like you like drove off the face of the earth. That is one ranch. That little, like, spurt of things is one ranch. That is one ranch. And it's the size of Rhode Island and it's called the King Ranch.

And that is owned by like, I don't. Like a billionaire. They're probably heirs of the heirs of the heirs now, but like it was one family that owned it. And it's called the King Ranch. What? Yeah. I mean, and that's what I'm talking about. In Texas is where you have a freaking million acre ranch like that.

Different like farms, ranches, all kinds of things. Yeah. Okay. I mean, they might have that in Wyoming and Montana and all that. But I mean, for me, that's what I remember. Well, it's all about association, right? That's where you grew up. That's why you asked the people who grew up there what they associate with.

It doesn't mean other states can't have it. What is Kansas to you, aviation? I mean, yeah, aviation is huge. It was the air capital of the world. I think it still might be. I mean, my dad's worked in aviation his whole life. Is that why you all lived there? No, they're from southeast Kansas.

Both my parents are. So we've been there, they've been there forever. And their families grew up there. But yeah, my dad got into aviation. It has still in it to this day. But then there's wheat. That's a big thing. Wheat.

Yeah, like literally wheat farmers. Wheat, I mean, fields everywhere. Wow. The wind turbines is a big one. Wow, I didn't realize that. It's a flyover state, you know. And then basketball. Basketball is huge in this.

You know, you got the Kansas Jayhawks, you got K-State Wildcats, and you got the Shockers with Shaw State. I mean, the rules of basketball, I think reside in Kansas. Yeah, with the Jayhawks. With the Jayhawks. Like the actual handwritten rules of the game of basketball. Allend field house is the star. of it if I'm if I'm mistaken I could be but I'm pretty sure it was Allen Fieldhouse and that

entire program that started basketball you and I are like 90% sure about what we're talking about I'm maybe 85. I never say 100% anymore because people are going to be like you're wrong it's hard it's hard to come on and talk about things and like I don't know everything so we you could ask me a million things I can't remember I mean you watch me play games and I can't remember things until somebody says it and I'm like yes that's right yeah Bobby though in a weird way is like you ask him a question and you assume he's going to have the answer to it. Like a little dictionary kind of thing. Yeah. Like I never ask him a question and expect, I don't know. That's how I feel about my mom. Like I could ask her anything and she's like 99% right.

That's amazing. And I'll be like, how did you even remember that? And I can't remember what I did yesterday. Exactly. Me too. I don't get it. I almost purposely don't remember anything. Yeah, then you don't want to be that person. Everybody goes to. And I don't want to want to be that person. And I don't want to fill my brain up with all that stuff. Yeah. So both of us, if you ask us to be on Trivia teams don't know. We'll sit there and drink. We'll be the good friend that parties. Oh, man.

Well, we could literally sit here and talk all day about anything. Anything. But we have so much to talk about it. So we're going to keep going. You guys can listen now to hear us talk about our most popular foods from our home state. Number seven. This is a voicemail we got last night. Hey, Bobby.

Read an article about what foods represent the state. And for Arkansas, they have chocolate, gravy, and biscuit. I've never heard of it. Florida is public sub way to go. I'd agree with that. And Tennessee is Nashville hot chicken. Just wondering what your thoughts are. For Arkansas to have chocolate gravy and biscuits makes no sense.

There were occasionally a chocolate gravy and biscuit. I've had them that's good. It's chocolate gravy on a biscuit. Okay. Fantastic. Chocolate gravy? Yes. But it's not prevalent.

You don't go around Arkansas. Every restaurant's got chocolate gravy and biscuits. Now, if they would have said biscuits and gravy, I'd have been like, yep, makes sense. Or sweet tea. Yep, makes sense. So I'm going to go with biscuits and gravy, but I don't think it's going to be chocolate biscuits and gravy.

Amy, you're from Texas. What would you list of food? Mexican? Is that a thing? You've got to kind of pick one. Okay. Yeah, I would go with a taco or something. It's not bad.

It's not bad. It's text me. Yeah, like Tex-Mex. That's what I grew up on. Ramundo, what would Michigan be? Pasty. It's basically a Thanksgiving meal inside a pie. They're really,

well known for that. A pasty. Never heard of it. So inside of it, it's, you know, turkey and dressing and cranberry sauce. Like a chicken pot pie? Exactly. Well, then is it a chicken pop pie? No, it's called a pasty. Is there a difference between a pasty and a chicken pop pie? I believe the pasty's more hardy and probably the chicken pop pie is more flavorful. I don't know. Chicken pot pie is pretty hearty. Then they're both the same thing we're talking about. Morgan. Kansas. I mean, we're known for growing wheat. but that's not like a food. Wheat.

No. Wheat. I was like, what? Wheat. Oh, sorry. I don't say my teas. You're not known for that. Wheat.

But I would probably say Kansas City barbecue. Barbecue is a big thing there. Ribs. I wonder, though, if barbecue is, if you had to pick a state that barbecue is known. Texas? Texas, for sure. I would think Memphis and Tennessee. Okay.

Different kind of barbecue. I didn't grow up in Texas. You guys did, though. Yeah. So that's why you guys think about that. And not growing up in Kansas, Texas, or Tennessee, I think Memphis and Barbecue is the most known barbecue. But Kansas City is too.

So should barbecue be Tennessee's since Memphis is Tennessee? I think Nashville Hot Chicken does it. I agree with that. And there's like 10 hot chicken restaurants. We can throw a rock to from where we are now. Scooby Steve, you're from Florida. They had mentioned public subs. Is that the supermarket chain?

Yes, which is here in Nashville as well. I don't really think that's really big in Florida. For me, it's Gator. Like fried Gator Tail, Gator Nuggets. Is that something that they have everywhere, or is it just something you can get? You can get, and it's in a lot of restaurants in Florida, especially central Florida. We have a lot of gators there, so I would say that. So it's not weird to go somewhere like, oh, wow, gator tail.

Not at all. No, it's very normal there. If I go to a restaurant in Arkansas and there isn't sweet tea, I get angry. Yeah. And I don't like this fake sweet tea either where they just pour sugar in a cup. What do you mean? Well, can I get some sweet tea? Well, we don't have tea. We have tea, and you can also, there's some sugar.

Oh, got you. That's not sweet tea! There's a lot of fake sweet tea around here. counterfeit sweet tea. What are you looking up? Well, I just pull this out because he made me think of it. After my dad died, we were going through a lot of his stuff. And my dad, like, was in the restaurant business, loved to cook.

And I guess in his free time, he literally made a list of every state and the food he thinks that goes with the state. What he looks for Arkansas? Under Arkansas, he has fried catfish. Oh, yeah. We have a lot of catfish, sure. Yeah. What do you put for Texas? Well, that's the thing.

My sisters and I were thinking about finishing the list. list for him because he got all the way to South Dakota. So he's missing everything from South Dakota on. So I think there's five like Texas is missing and a few others. But he has every other state here, which I think is super special and cool. And I hadn't thought of it. So I'm glad she called this because maybe I'll complete my dad's list for him. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two. So many big things happened at the wedding, but something low-key happened with Amy's daughter. She stole something from Bobby and Caitlin's wedding.

And I'm telling you, I don't know why all of us did not think of this. She's super clever. So listen to this moment. Number six. So your daughter stole what? So we were at your wedding and it was the reception time and they brought out the food and it was steak, crab cake, mashed potatoes, asparagus, the whole thing. Like it was great. I guess there was an extra plate put down at our table though that wasn't being used.

And as my daughter is eating, she's biting into that steak and she looks up and she looks at the table and she's like, this is the best steak I've ever had in my life. And so she says, Mom, him me your napkin. So I give her my nap with really nice cloth napkins. Listen, I don't know if you rented those from somewhere, but we took a napkin. And she grabbed the extra steak from the plate that wasn't being eaten off of, threw it in the napkin, wrapped it up. and then she went up to your house because you got married at home, but we were out in the backyard.

She went up to the house, got Tupperware thing, and put it in there and took it home. You stole all kinds of stuff. A napkin? Tupperware. Neat? Yeah. I think that adds up to enough for maybe a felony. Uh-oh. So then took it home

and enjoyed it the next day. Ray gets the cops on the phone. Yeah. When you teach her a lesson, when you take her to jail and be like, you know how they do scared straight? Oh, yeah. If you steal in Tupperware,

this could be you? I mean, she was almost looking around the rest of the table. She's like, why is nobody taking that extra state? Let's go. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two. All week we'd been trying to figure out who was the country star that left an anonymous $1,000 tip at a waffle house in North Carolina. Well, we found out who it was and it was not what we expected. Like nobody that we guessed.

So crazy. But, Eddie, I want to know. If you had endless money, right? Like say you're one of these country stars. I love playing this game. Yeah. Would you be leaving like tips like this or like what would you be doing with your wealth? Of course.

I would love to leave tips like this. I would love to leave tips like when Jeff Bezos's ex-wife. Okay. Right? When she started giving her money away, I was like, that's what I'm talking about. Because there's no way you're going to give all your money away when you have that much money. Like, sure, is it possible? Yes, guys.

It's possible you can give your money away. But I mean, 100,000 here, 100,000 there. How many million? Oh, I think she was a billionaire. She was a billionaire. Trust me, 100,000 over there, 100,000 over there is making these people's lives, changing lives left and right. And it's not affecting you one bit.

How could you, like, how do you even fathom having, I can't, I feel good if I get, like, $1,000 that I got to do something with? I can't fathom that many more zeros. Like, I don't think I would physically know what to do. Let me tell you something, though. And I don't know what you, I want you to answer this question. But I feel like if I had that much money, I still would be looking for a deal. Like I still, I just think it's instilled in me to like find a good deal or say we don't need that.

We don't need that. Would you be that way even if you had endless money? Well, I feel like if you've been built to be frugal, yes to a point. And then you get so used to the fact that you're wealthy, then you don't anymore. I think it happens for a while, right? Yeah, I think so. There's that transition period. Now, if you're born with it and that's just all you know, you're probably just-

You're never frugal, right? Like, kids that have that. Yeah. But yeah, if you have that transition period. But then you get to the point where you're like, okay, I'm wealthy. I don't have to do that anymore. Well, then if you really want a yacht, you buy the yacht. Yeah.

You know, you don't get the cheapest yacht. You get the best yacht. Imagine buying a yacht. You're Jeff Bezos and you're like, can we like negotiate that down like a couple thousand? Because that's just too much. Is this the best deal? you can give me on this yacht. I mean, but you know at some point they have to because they're so smart with their money

and the stocks they invest in and things. You know they have to have. That's why they have a lot of money. So I'm sure it happens. I just can't like picture it. I can picture them just like whipping out a suitcase of cash and be like, here you go. I think more than me, back to your original question, I think my wife would give all our money more.

She would give more of the money away than I would. My wife. She would like, here you go. Oh my gosh. She wants to give money away everywhere we go. And I'm kind of, I like it. I like it. But I don't.

You know, at the same time, I'm just like, let's be a little smarter about this. And she's like, why? It'll be fine. We can do that. I feel like it's a natural tendency thing too for like the woman in the relationship to want to care give for other people and male to be the frugal. No, this is what we have to do with our finances. I think that's very common. I think that's very common.

I mean, I know, you know, the generation shift and stuff that changes. Sure. But I think in majority, that's typically what happened. Yeah. Because that's just how the women tendencies are. We have some friends. And it's funny, like every time, almost every friend that me and my wife have, like a married couple or people that are together.

And they come to the house and we have dinner or whatever and we talk. It never fails. Somebody is like me in their relationship. And somebody is like my wife. You have to have both. You do. If you don't have both, then you have two. people that are frugal, you never help anybody.

Or you have two people that are caregivers and you never have money. But then I feel that's like lunchbox and his wife. Like without giving too much, they are identical. Like they are twins. They don't argue about things. They both argue about the same thing to other people. Like they're a team. You know what I?

Me and my wife, we're not like that. Like it's always like, no, I feel this way about it. And she's like, well, have you thought about this side of it? And I'm like, no, I guess you're right. Well, I feel like even the people that are alike that could be like lunchbox and his wife have things that they challenge. It's just that challenge isn't as strenuous, right? So they may be challenging, but you're like, oh yeah, I thought about that. It just wasn't going to go there.

So maybe the strenuous differences aren't so like wide. For them, they're just very small. Yeah, it could be. But like for some people that are dating somebody like that's their polar opposite. Yeah. That wide is like a rainbow, right? You're on polar opposite sides of that rainbow. I just feel like, yes, there is lunchbox and his wife.

But the majority of our couple friends, there's somebody always like me. Because we play that game all the time too. And they're just like, yeah, he does this all the time. Like, oh my gosh, you're like me. And then I was like, oh my gosh, he's just like me. That's just because you're right. You do need that in a relationship. You do.

You need the balance. It's like, I mean, I'm a freak. I don't, I love looking at horoscopes, but I don't believe in them. But I'm a, I'm a Libra or a Libra. I like Libra. I like Libra. Libra. I pronounce everything wrong, so it's fine.

But my... Say Italian? Italian. It's right. But my sign is like a balance sign and everything in life is a balance. That's why Libra's always have good relationships. I can't really want to ask you this question. But what is your Enneagram number?

I'm a two and an eight. You're 50% of each. Mm-hmm. Okay. I'm in other terms, I'm a Bill Gates. He was a two and eight? There are certain people in our world that are that are 50% of two and 50% an 8. What's a 2?

A 2 is a helper. And what's an 8? And an 8 is a challenger. Oh. They're polar opposites in the same body. So you don't need to marry anyone. No, I got enough personality for everybody. Cover both of them.

You're good. No, that's why, I mean, that's why dating my boyfriend. I had to find somebody who's just very secure in themselves because I got a lot going on. Yeah. But yeah. There's that. What's the biggest tip you've ever left? 100% of tabs.

So if it's $20, you tip $20. Or like back when I didn't have a house to be spending money on, I would tip like if it was $100 bucks instead of tipping 20, I tip 50. That's a good tip. I mean, just like I'd do like 50% if it was higher. But I was also a server for five years. So like I 100% know what they're feeling. So if somebody's really good or somebody's really having a tough day, I'm like, okay, let me.

Every time, like my, if I have a bad server, I'm tipping 20. If I have a great server, I'm typically tipping like 30 to 50. Okay, got you. Yeah, 20% is like my bottom. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And like I'll- That's bottom, not average. No, that's my bottom.

Like, I will always tip 20. It has to be very bad for me to like even consider tipping like 15. But you have tip 15? Maybe once. And it was just that bad. Everything was awful. And I could, I was like, I cannot, this hurts me in so many ways. And are you investigating kind of like watching the server and saying, oh, that, that server is probably slow because of.

Yes. And then you finally kind of concluded that no, no, he just, or she just sucks. Well, it was like, it was the entire atmosphere, right? It was a restaurant. It was a person. It was everything that was happening. And a place I'd never go back to is really what it was. There is something to be said about a server that's having a hard time.

and the system is just slow. And you can tell that just by kind of observing. If you just pay attention to what's happening. All right. If they have, I'll be like, oh my gosh, our server has like 15 tables. Like, I feel for them right now. Every time you look up, that server's doing something. Yeah.

If, like, the one time I tip 15, like, I saw the server standing around. I saw everybody standing around. It just wasn't, it was not a good restaurant environment. I don't think that restaurant is even still up anymore. Of course. Like, it was really bad. And that was a one time I think I've ever done it. Wow.

Have you ever tip 15 or, like, low? No, not lower than 20%. Now what I do do is there are certain things. Or nothing? Not, yes, not restaurants though. Bars. Oh, yeah. Bars are weird because like if I'm going to go every drink and buy something, do I do $1 every time I go?

Do I do a tip every time I? Because this is like before tabs. Like yeah, tabs you tip at the end of the night or whatever. But if you're just doing cash. Yeah. There are times where like I'm just going to get a beer now. And I will tip after my second beer or my third beer or whatever or I'll tip at the end of the night. But they always give you like dirty looks like really dude, no tip.

Like wow, that's nice of you. Thank you. But I feel weird. Like I don't have change. It's like what if I only have 20 bucks? You know, and I'll tip at the end of the night or whatever. So there's that like bars. I think that's pretty common.

Okay. I don't think that's not. I mean, unless you're like bar hopping a lot and you have to tip because you're only there right. Right then. fancy golf courses. I don't play a lot of them, but when I do, I feel, what do you have to tip?

Everyone. This is also why there's like people that are wealthy that only play those because they don't care about all the tips they have to give. It's ridiculous. Like, you know, you're going to flip when I tell you this. After you're done with your round, some guy comes up and starts cleaning your clubs.

My clubs don't need to be cleaned. They hit golf balls in dirt. And then you have to tip that person. And once they start cleaning, you can't. Like tell him to stop. So what I do, I tell him to stop. No, no, no, you're good. Don't worry about cleaning my clubs and they stop.

Because I don't want to tip him $5 for wiping my clubs down. Especially when you could go home and do yourself very easily. You really wanted to. I could, but I'm never going to wipe my clubs down. You know what if you really wanted to do? What if I wanted to do it myself? And then so it starts, let me tell you, it starts when you get to a nice golf course. You pull up and they tell you they have the parking lot blocked off.

They have cones. Nah, don't park. Don't park. Come to the drop-off area first. We will remove your golf clubs from your car and put them in your cart. Once they do that, you have to tip. Yeah, because it's like a bellhop. Yeah.

You know what I do? I move the cones. I will not do it. I don't need that kind of. This is how you find an average person at like a high-end place, right? It's when they're like not dealing with any of the high-end thing. That's when you know I don't belong. Like I don't belong in those places, but I hate it.

I hate it because I don't need all those little extra services. No, I'm with you. If I did, I would get them done. You wipe my clubs. Take my, I'm a bad back, carry my clubs, and I'll tip you. Yeah. I get it. I'm not.

I'm well-abled. I can carry my own club. And I tell them all the time. I got my own clubs. Thank you. And then they're like, no, no, no, sir. Sir, please. It's part of my job.

No, no, no. I'm good. I can carry my own clubs. Thank you. When you feel for them because you're like, I know what you're doing. I know you need to do this. Right. But like, I don't need this.

to tip all day, like all day while I'm trying to play golf to every single thing. So there is that where I don't like. But restaurants, no, 20% every single time. But I never tip. Like my, I give the pen to my wife. And she does it. She does all the calculations. I would, I will probably be there for five minutes trying to figure out 20%. Seriously. I was thinking about it for a second. Seriously. I'm like, well, I'll carry the one for. So I just round up. Sometimes I give 22 just because I can't figure it out. You know how I easily calculate 20%. It's always, it might be a little bit over.

I know. And everyone's told me this. It's not going to stick in my head, I promise. No, but it's the, it's actually an easy one. Somebody taught me this so I could calculate when I was a server if I was getting 20% very easily, like if I just looked at it. You look at the total number.

Say it's 23. What 23? Say my total. 23, 27. Yeah. So I'd round it up to 25. And what's five times what to get to 25. Always go to the five increments.

Yeah. So if I got $5 on that, I made over 20%. Okay. The bill is 84.71. Okay. So you could do 85 or 80. Like either whatever is the five increment, right? Okay. And the nearest five up. Or down. If it's 82, do you go to 80? Yeah, you do 80. You could do down or up. It just gives you a brief idea, right? So you're just like looking at it quickly. It's not bad. If you're riding it, you're leveling up a little bit. That's not bad because the easiest of all the multiplications are five. Yes.

Right. So, so 80. So what's a number times five that gets 80? Nine. Yeah. So $9. If it's $85, though, you'd probably do 91. Okay.

Right? So you're adding a little bit more. Okay. I like that. $100. It's $20. I like that a lot. Yeah.

Okay. And so I did that because I could easily just look. I'm like, okay, I'm right around there. Even if I've got like 19% or whatever, I didn't care. it was just like I was looking to see as long as I'm around there that I'm gauging how I was performing. Did you care?

Yeah. No, like I only cared if it was like 10%. And then you questioned yourself? Did you question yourself or questioned them? Well, it'd be first like, did I do something? And I was like, okay, like the food was slow. Whatever. It is what it is.

But then there was times I was like, okay, that was probably on me. You learn as a survey, you figure out, and that's why like towards the end in my last two years, I was nailing at every table. Unless I got super unlucky and it's just somebody that just doesn't tip, right? There are those.

Were you or write it down or memorize it? Oh, I'd write it down. The order. I'm too organized to try and memorize it. I'm like, absolutely not. I will forget something. How do you remember who's who? You write in an order.

Like an order. Who do you start with? Do you write like a guy of the cap? Mm-mm. Dad? I'll just do one, two, three, and I'll like, because like typically on the server program, you have the seat.

Oh, I didn't know that. Okay. Because I see people just with regular paper sometimes. Yeah. And you can write, you can do like one, two, three, four. And then you just separate them. And then if somebody's together, you're like, okay, one and five are together. Because not always does a wife and husband sit next to each other.

Yeah. And not always are they all going to be separate. Yes. I was never a server. So I've always one of these things. So how do you figure out who you're going to start with? Or is it just random? Well, sometimes people will throw me off and it'll be like the middle person going.

I'm like, all right, here we go. We're going to be all over the place. It's fine. But most of the time, if I get a choice, it'll be clockwise. So it'll be left first. And you start with whoever's left of you. And then you go all the way around. Okay.

That's a natural progression. If there's just two people, it doesn't really matter. But. Okay. So as a parent, as a parent, this is something we've been doing for a few years. I like for my kids to order because it's just gearing them for life. And so do you like it when kids order or do you like it when the mom says, or the dad says, hey, these are my three kids.

He'll have that. She'll have that and they'll have that. I mean, it doesn't matter either way. As long as the kids know what they want. They don't, though. Let's be real. Well, I mean, like, if they're sitting, if they take like a few seconds and they're like,

ah, and then they decide, cool. But if they're sitting there and I'm sitting here like, it's like a minute goes by, I'm like, okay, I got like five tables. I need water, but here we are. So you get frustrated if it takes time. But as long as you're like, hey, know what you want and order it. Then no, I don't care.

I had a lot of kids that would order and they'd be like, I want this and that. And I'd be like, mom, dad, that cool. They're like, yeah, that's good. And then we move on. I mean, I worked at Buffalo Wild Wings. Like, there was always kids in there, right? I love Buffalo. And so, yeah, a lot of kids always ordered.

But it was the ones that ordered, knew what they were getting and moved efficiently. That worked. My in-laws, especially my mother-in-law, she loves to do the, what do you recommend? Oh, yeah. What is your go-to on what do you recommend? Well, this is my favorite because I was a vegetarian. working at a wing place, right? Like the celery.

And every time I'd be honest, I'd be like, look, I'm a vegetarian. Okay? So I'm going to be honest and tell you that these are my co-workers' recommendations. I prefer the mozzarella sticks and fried pickles if you want advertisers. And if you want wings, these are the popular sauces. And then I always love the chocolate cake. So I gave them mine, but they would never be the meat. So, like, I'd give them the popular sauces.

And then other co-workers. Yeah. So what about stuff that is about to, like, expire? Do you get told from the restaurant like, hey, these wings are, these wings are like serious. We have to sell these today or else we're going to have to throw them out. We never, in my four and a half, five, close to five years working there, never had that problem. We would have problems of the wings selling out. Oh, that's good. Like on wing nights, they do the boneless wing nights and the bone-in wing nights.

And we would literally run out of wings by like 10 o'clock. I'm like, oh, crap, this is bad. But we would never have a problem with expiring things. Was it ever hard for you to get a job at these? places because you weren't you didn't eat the wings and there was no because I know no it's no it's all about personality okay it's never about like the food as long as you have a good personality and like a good work ethic that's all it takes to be a good server and you want to work with people like a lot of people like say they hate being a server I loved being a server I met so many cool

people and had so much fun I mean I would watch UFC fights I wasn't fun I wouldn't make a lot of money those nights but like I look back on that and I was like I had a pretty cool job yeah and we'd watched games Sunday, Saturday. It'd be football games and I'd just be seeing it. Probably why I don't watch much sports now because I literally spent so many years watching them. Yeah. But yeah, I loved that job. I loved working with people and just seeing different people. You met so many different types of people, which is what was really cool. And you'd see people on first dates. You'd see people on anniversary dates. Like, you just never knew what was going to come in that door. Yeah. Which was cool. Yeah. We had famous people come in a lot. Like, just random. Harrison

Ford ever come in because he's always in Wichita? I don't think he ever came in one time. And I'm trying to remember who it was, but it was a whole ordeal. Is this Wichita or is this Manhattan? Yeah, no, this is Wichita. And that Buffalo Wildlings is in, like, prime location because it was in the New Market Square area. But there was a few times. I didn't know most of the time because they were like athletes.

Oh, yeah, yeah. So people would tell me, like, oh, that's really cool. Sure. I had no idea. I was just like, that's cool. Awesome. Yeah. So that was really what it is, was a lot of athletes. But, yeah, those times bringing the server.

I had one question before we move on to our next little thing. What do you think? Back to our like tipping a server $1,000, right? The Waffle House and the Country Star. What top five artists do you think like always tip really good? Okay. Country Stars? Yeah.

Garth. Okay. I think Garth's a big tipper just because he's got a lot of money. He's just Garth. Yeah. He's very nice. I feel like, I saw Darius Rucker one time. I think it was a water fest.

We had gotten there. Watershed? Watershed. Yes. In Washington State. We had gotten there. We were playing. Me and Bobby were playing other Asian idiots.

We were playing, I think, on Saturday, but we had to fly in Friday. So we had the day off. And we got to go to the festival to just enjoy it. But we were playing the next day, so we had passes or whatever. So we got to watch. I think Dirk's played. And I think Darius played. And I got to watch it from the side of the stage.

And I remember afterwards, I was standing on the side of the stage and Darius just, you know, played his last note. Like, thank you. Good night, everyone. And walked to the side of the stage and called all of the crew members. Like local crew, local crew, not my crew. All my crew is like, keep working. Like start tearing down whatever you need to tear down. Local crew come.

And then like, they were like, oh, crap, we're in trouble. We're in trouble. And I was standing right there. And he looks at me. He's like, not you. Get the hell out of here. You get that. And I'm talking to you.

And he's. He tells the whole local crew is like, hey, I want to thank you guys so much. Everything was so great. You guys worked your butts off and I really appreciate you. And I've never seen that. I'm backstage for a lot of shows. I never see people do that. So I know what kind of person he is.

I can tell he just thanks. He's so thankful for what he's gotten to do in his life that he's very generous. So I see him definitely. That's such a cool story. I know. It's one of those things that nobody will ever see because they just don't have that kind of access. I got to see it and I love telling that story because of that. a good story. Oh, and I mean, you can hear him laugh and you just know he's a good person.

Right, right. Between him and Luke Brian, I'm like, if you have a good laugh like that, like you just are a good person. Yes. I think Luke is one. Yeah. I think Luke Brian is definitely one of those people. Definitely. I just, he's just so like, he's so normal. Yes, very carefree for being a celebrity. For being a celebrity, like he just walks around. I don't think he cares if anyone recognizes him. I don't care. And like, you got it. We will when it's time. All right. So Red Solo Cup comes on. And I was just having a good time.

We played our set and I was drinking and just enjoying the night. You had lots of Red So look up. Yes, and it's time to sing Red So Look Up, and then I got up there, I realized, like, I don't know all the words of Red Solo Cup. Like, all I know is Red Solo Cup. Fill you up. Party. Like, that's all I knew. So we're up there on stage and we're singing the song or whatever.

And he's like, all right, Bobby Bone sing it. Red Solo Cup. And he was just like me. Let me up a party. And he's like, oh, great. That's terrible. All right. Now Eddie sing it.

And I'm like, mm-mm-mm-mm. Like, don't know the words. Like, all right, you two get off the stage or whatever. And so we laughed it off. And then at the end of the night, he gets off the stage. He's walking to the bus.

And he goes, hey, come over here. I need to talk to you. Points to me. I'm like, hey, what's up? Toby's like, learn the words next time. And then he gave me a hug and walked off. Yeah, like very joking. Very jokingly.

He's like, I've done nothing for this wedding. And I think Caitlin's like getting a little like. Frustrated. Frustrated with me, whatever. So

I know for sure what color our tablecloths are. I know for sure what kind of cake we have. I know for sure what our first dance song is. So he told me what they are. And then he said, some point tonight, Ask me like, hey, Bout Bones, you haven't been doing anything in this wedding.

Like, let me test you real quick. And he's asked me those three questions and I'll know the answer to. So I can prove to her that I do know more that she thinks I know, whatever. So we did that little game. I don't even know we ever got to the game, actually. But that's how I found out they were doing the first dance of that song. Okay, so they knew pretty early on what they were doing. Yes.

With that first dance song. Yes. Okay, that's pretty cool because that was a cool moment. I don't know if Bobby kind of dragged his feet a little bit on getting them to sing it. They are, they have great songs. Like, they are Dan and Shea.

They have great, great original songs. But every time we ask them to do something, it's always like, hey, will you play a cover of this other song? Even though we love their songs. Oh, yeah. But they're so good that we know that they can do awesome covers. Yeah. That we just want to hear the cover.

This is true. Like, you just want to see how far their range can go and there is no limitation. Oh, man. How good was that performance? Oh, it was so good. Like, such a cool moment for them. And you can tell they were really happy that that's what they chose. But Dan and Shay were so good at not making it about them.

No. Like, of course, they're freaking Dan and Shay. And they're sitting up there singing the song. But not once. Did I look at Dan. Maybe once. Maybe twice. I was like, once, twice.

Maybe twice. Maybe three times. I looked like, man, look at Dan and Shay. They're so freaking awesome and they're so good. But it's hard not to, right? That's just a natural reaction. Dan's hair's blowing in the wind. and you know, Shea sounding like an angel.

And they're all dressed up with everybody else. Like, yeah. No, but it wasn't. You were focused on Bobby and Caitlin, which was a really cool moment for them. So I would say that was really cool. Okay, so you knew a lot of things before they happened? Not a lot, but I knew some.

Some. And how did you keep that a secret from everybody? I just didn't. How did you even know that that was a secret? Like how did it? Because not only do you have this in like your personal life, right? But then you have to come on the show and you're like, crap, what do we talk about on the show?

And then you can't say it on the show. Well, with stuff like this, I don't, Bring it up. You just stopped it. You were like, I'm not even going there. If he goes there, then I know it's okay. There's a green light. But if he's not going there, why would I even even think about it. But it's so easy. Like, this is why I don't lie about anything in my life. Because like I cannot keep things straight. I will automatically slip up. Yes. I can keep secrets. But like lies are very difficult for me. So when you lie, like we can tell. Oh yeah. Nobody. I don't lie. I physically can't lie. Like I literally start smiling. I'm like, no, that's not true. That's funny. That's such a good trait. Yes and no, but I can't ever get away with anything.

It's a terrible thing. Well, I remember when I started on the show and I started talking more on the show, I would ask Bobby. I'm like, how do you not curse? This is when Bobby would say curse words. Before he made a decision in his life, I'm not going to cuss anymore. Like, I would ask him like, because I, in my regular language, I like to say bad words. Oh, yes. Like, I like it.

Sometimes there's just no better word than that word to describe what I'm going through at that moment. And so I say it, not in front of my kids, obviously, but that's just part of my language. So I was trying to figure out like, hey, when you talk on the air, how do you filter yourself? Like, how do you really be yourself and not say this? Like, it's like, it's just natural. Like, you just think it's your grandma's house or something, you know? Like, it's true. You consciously make decisions when you're in front of certain people to not do certain things.

Right. So. Like, if your parents were here, I wouldn't be like, hey, beep, beep, beep, beep. Oh, yeah. You know, it's so funny. And I curse like a sailor, right? Terrible trait. That's one of my bad traits.

Me too. And every time I do it though, my dad is, I'll say like the F word. And my dad will be like, fudge. And I'll be like, no, no, that's not what I meant. That's not what I meant. I'm 20 years old. That's not what I meant. You say that in front of your parents?

On at, not that word very often. I would never. But I will say like the S word often. Oh. Yeah. I mean, like I curse like a sailor. It really is. And I try not to around them because I know my.

My dad doesn't like it, but sometimes I do it on purpose. And I'm like, nope, that's not what I meant. I'm sure he hates that. He does. And he's going to listen to this and be like, I knew it. I knew it. Oh, man. Okay, well, we still have more to talk about the wedding, but like diverting from that.

Still on kind of Dan and Shay. If you've been married for what is it now? How long? About to be 16 years. Okay. A long time. Long time. But if you could have had, like any artists, like they did, perform the first dance

song at your wedding, which was what? What, by the way? Well, we got married in Hawaii. And there was only my family, like my mom, dad, brothers and sister, brother and sister. And then my wife's mom, dad, and three sisters. Two sisters and her best friend. That's it. Okay. That's it. No one else was there. So we didn't have like the wedding and then their big reception. Got it. But what we did is when we got back to Texas, we threw like a kegger party. Oh yeah, like a celebration. Yeah. And our, in our, I guess what would have been our first dance? song, which was kind of, which I played. I played on guitar. Oh, you sang to her.

To her and that was kind of like our first dance. And it was you two. All I want is you. So you too. Probably impossible band to get. But having you two, if I could have any band play our song, it'd be them. And it would be that song. Yes.

Still to this day. Yeah. I mean, that was all I want is you. It was perfect. Whenever that song comes on, are you guys like automatically like throw? rest back into that moment. Man, that song never comes on. Okay, but like on your phone.

Yeah. On a road trip and that song comes on. It's not like we go to that moment. It's almost like, oh, you remember that song? Like, yes, I remember that song. I remember when you sang it to me and like, God, it's such a good song and then we turn it up. That kind of thing.

But, but you, you still have an opportunity to have whoever you want. Why does this always switch to me and talk about weddings? You have the opportunity now to get whoever you want. Who is it? That is not true. I'm not Bobby. He could help you. Yeah, but I don't know.

Shania. You're still the one? How do I live? And I'm like, that's me and rhymes. No, you're still. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're right. Or Tricia.

Wait, that's it. Are you sure? How do I live without you? Are you trying to slash shani? No. Shania is your favorite country artist. You still the one. Still the one I love me, right.

Garth Brooks doesn't sing. I met. So when we went to the Garth Brooks books, books. When we went to the Garth Brooks concert, an old friend of, the girlfriend of one of our old co-workers is the one who gave the tickets. Zach Massey. Got it. His girlfriend.

And she works at Curb Records. And so we met the CEO or one of the Curb brothers, right? Mike? No. It was one of the curb, one of the curb guys. His last name was Curb. Okay. I don't want to like reveal all these different names.

But they have Leanne Rhymes. And so Leanne Rhymes was top of my head. That's all I was trying to get to. No, it's top of mine because we were talking about coyote ugly and like all the different Leanne Rhyme's things. Anyways. Coyotey ugly, huh? Yeah.

But I don't know. Because if Shania is saying then I would just focus on Shania, I would be focused on my first day. Right. Right. That's a good point. Nah, but you wouldn't. I would and I wouldn't. I'd be like, this is so cool.

Shania Twain's right there. I don't know that I can handle that. I think it's so cool when artists do that. Yeah. Like in the head, there's video of it. You know, like, oh, so-and-so just showed up to my wedding and played our first song. That's pretty cool. I love when celebrities crash weddings.

Like an Adam Sandler or a rock and they're the rock and they like just show up and they're like, I'm here. And you're like, you're what? What? Why are you here? Yeah. I'm like, I wouldn't even care. I'm like, yes, crash my wedding. Yeah.

Yeah. So who would it be? Shania? Yeah, probably Shania. because of that song, you're still the one is a really good love song. I'm trying to think if, or, what's his name? Ed Sheeran. No.

If it was my dad and I's dance rather than the first dance. Daddy daughter dance. Yeah. I bought my, daddy daughter. Daddy daughter, dad daughter. But one of my favorite songs has always been butterfly kisses. Butterfly kisses. by Bob Carlisle.

Oh, what? No, it's like a one-hit wonder song. Oh, one. You would know it if you've heard it. But so that would be cool to have him because he's like. You can probably get him. Yeah. That would be something that would be cool in a cool moment.

And it wouldn't distract from my first dance. Yeah. Because it'd be you and your dad. Yeah. I don't know. You have time. You have time. Yeah, I was going to say, I'm honest.

I haven't thought about anything. I haven't even thought about anything about my wedding. Why would you? I have random things spend on Pinterest. I'm like, that's cool. I'll look at it one day. Don't really care. Yeah.

I'm not one of those girls. You're not one of those girls? You pictured your wedding from like day one? No. I'm all about like situations. So like everything to me is based on the situation. So it's going to be based around my partner. Why am I going to plan something when the partner that I meet could have a totally different

idea of what that looks like? Why am I going to fantasize something that might not happen? Because most of the time we don't care. I know. But on the off chance I want to give him whoever I just. to marry that option. Yeah, but you probably won't care. I know.

Like, maybe some guys do, but for the most part, we don't, we never pictured our wedding day. I know, but maybe they don't want a big wedding. We picture who. Maybe they want to get married in Hawaii. Maybe. But we both decided that. I know, but what? I'd never thought of Hawaii.

I know. We just both love Hawaii. Yes. But what, the one thing that we had, we did picture from day one was our, what our bride would look like. So there is that. I mean, I've, I always. What? Like you knew she knew like your wife would be blonde?

Probably. Yeah. Like you kind of had an idea of what she looked like. Sure. I knew she was. That's so interesting to me. Tell me more. Just that. I mean, I don't, I didn't know exactly what she was going to look like. But I kind of like, I knew who it's one of those things where you've like envisioned who you're going to grow old with. You know, it's not about the wedding day. It's just about who you're going to grow old with. Like, I had this conversation with my brother the other day.

Like, dude, are you going to get married because he's like, I don't know. Almost 50. And he's like, I don't know, dude. I really don't know. You know, it's just whatever happens happens. And he's probably one where he's just like, I don't know. I don't know if he's ever thought about what his bride's going to look like. Okay. So not often. But me, I have always known that I'm going to get married and I'm going to grow old with someone and I knew she was going to kind of look like that.

And it's your wife. And it's my wife. Yeah. No. Yeah. But it never once thought about the wedding. Not once. No, but you thought about the bride.

Yes. And that's the big wedding part. Yeah. I mean, that's a big deal. I've never heard a guy say that before. I don't know. That just came up. I love that.

She's probably never knew that either. Maybe not. She's like, oh my gosh. Eddie. I heard this on a podcast. You could have never tell me that? Oh, my gosh. I love that.

You know what? I hope whoever I marry has those same thoughts once upon a time. And I become that bride. There you go. It's probably happening right now. I don't know what that looks like, though. Don't know what kind of wedding I'm going to have. Anyways, this is Dan and Shay.

They performed the first dance at Bobby's wedding. He talked about how it all came together and that they gave him a really cool gift based on this from this whole first dance. That's really cool, too. So listen now. Number three. I will talk about our first dance

because a lot of people are asking about that. But if you go back to Full House, there is when Uncle Jesse marries Aunt Becky, he's sitting in like a tuxedo, and he plays this song called Forever. I'm going to play a clip of it from Full House. Here you go. So that's why I learned of the song.

I also know it as a Beach Boy song, which is why he sings in a full house because he's played with the Beach Boys, heavily influenced by the Beach Boys. So we thought a long time ago, Caitlin and I said, why don't we dance to that song? She loved it.

Obviously, I love it. And so we're like, that'd be great. So I hit up a couple of my friends. One's name was Dan. One's name was Shea. And it's weird to ask your friends, for me it was because I talk to Dan all the time and talk to Shay sometimes

and Dan's wife as it was in Caitlin's bridal party so we're close to Dan to you know the Smires as Dan and Abby but it was still weird for me to ask them to sing at our wedding I just hate asking anybody for anything so I got on text and all three of us and I was like hey

well you guys sing this song at our wedding and I just sent a YouTube clip of that over to them. And I said, before you think we're just sending you a full house song, it's actually a Beach Boy song. And immediately they were like, we're there. They were like, we're coming anyway. We love to play this song at your wedding.

So Dan and Shea played forever. And so I'll play you. Well, John Stamos actually, because I... Yeah, is that real? Well, yes. Oh, yes. Okay, that's what I saw. I posted a clip on Twitter, Caitlin post on our Instagram of Dan and Shea singing at our wedding.

And John Stamos wrote, wow, I literally, have goosebumps on my goosebumps. What a beautiful version of Dennis Wilson and Jesse's song Forever for a beautiful couple. Congratulations, Caitlin and fellow idol mentor bones. J.S. John Stainer. That's awesome. That's pretty cool too. So Dan Isay performed it live and you can watch it. But as a gift, they also recorded a studio version for us. Did you guys know that? Yeah, you said it to me. Oh, did I? Oh, I haven't heard it. But I knew because at the rehearsal dinner, Dan wasn't there. And I was with Abby. And I was like, well, wait, where's Dan? She said, well, Well, they're making them as a gift like a mix of the song.

And Dan is such a perfectionist that he was at home literally trying to get it done and make it perfect, like by Dan standards for y'all to have as a gift. Do you want to hear some of this? We'll talk about that later. Gary LaVox, Rascal Flats, lead singer, did two. He did Bless the Broken Road and Fast Cars on Freedom. I mean, it was a party. It was like a party. Yes. So we'll talk to talk about that. But Dan and Shay did they crush.

it couldn't have been happier that they played were you know just so close to them and it was awesome i don't know what else to say that it was awesome it was our first dance and i also told him i was like hey let's not make this like four minutes like no one wants to watch the couple dance for four and a half five minutes so let's keep it around two 30 is that how long the normal song is well any song at all like you know you can make a song long short you can double up a chorus let's keep it about two 30 and they did because it's like karaoke no one wants to see anyone do a four minute karaoke song I don't care how good of a singer you are. There's no need for a four minute.

Of course we talked a lot about Bobby and Caitlin's wedding, but something else that happened is that we had our first ever two-week vacation as a show. We've always taken like a week here and there, but we've never had two weeks vacation, right? Back to back, no. Never ever.

Since I've been here, not since everybody's been here. This was the whole thing, but everybody kind of went on these like epic vacations. So during the show this week, we shared headlines from our vacation. But as you know, when you go on vacation, that doesn't touch anything. And Eddie, you went to Disney. Yeah, but that's not even a big one. Yours is the big one. I want to hear about Disney because I've never been to Disney.

You haven't? And I want to go to Disney. See, see, you're the second person that has said this to me in like a week. And it bums me out because I tried so hard to prolong our trip to Disney for my kids. I'm like, please, let's just do this later. Let's do this later. Maybe when they're all in high school. Maybe when they're all in college.

Like maybe when they're older. Let's not take all these little boys to Disney at the same time. I'm like, this is going to be a nightmare. But now I hear, like, you and then my other friend, Nick, he was like, yeah, I didn't go to Disney until I was in college. You know? And I'm like, gosh, so it's possible. It is. But you got to, my 13 year old, he'd been talking about this for like three years.

Like, can we go Disney? Please. Big movie guy. He loves movies. He loves the animations. He loves Disney. He researches Disney. Like, he'd be, he's been researching Disney for five years.

Yes. So this is like epic. vacation. YouTube videos of every ride. He bought a book that describes all the rides and like how long usually the average wait time for the rides are. The foods. He had a list of the foods that he wanted. Okay. So did he hit every ride and food that he wanted? Almost everything. Oh my God. Yeah. Almost everything. And we. Remember that vacation for the rest of his life. Yes. So, so now at the end part of our vacation, I now. realize the importance of taking them in Disney. They're going to remember this for the rest of their life. Yes. And it's going to be such a great memory and they're going to want to recreate that memory with their kids.

Yeah. I get it. But man, when it was happening, I was like, you're like, what am I getting myself in? This is a nightmare.

But you know what? It's about them, not about me. Okay. So tell me like where you all, you went to Florida, the Disney and Florida, right?

Yes. And that's Disney World or Disneyland? Disney World. Disney World. Disney World. Okay. So what we did. Yeah. Tell me,

tell me your kind of itinerary. that y'all did. We didn't tell him we were going to Disney ever. Our 13-year-old was the only one that knew we were going to Disney because we had to tell him. This is like a big surprise for him. Oh, yeah. And apparently he had to plan everything out.

Yes. So he helped plan it. Okay. So he was in and he did such a fantastic job not telling anyone. But he didn't tell a single soul that we were going to Disney. And so we told the boys that we were going to go to Atlanta. I had gotten Braves tickets. The Braves were playing the Padres.

On Monday, the first Monday of our vacation, and we're going to go to the Braves game. We're going to Atlanta. And their first MLB game. Yes. And we're going to go to the beach in Florida afterwards. That was the plan. Oh, cool. The whole family did the game?

No, just me and the three boys and three older boys. The three older boys. Well, my wife and the baby stayed at the hotel. Got it. So we get to Atlanta. Long story short, we get there early, early, three, four hours before the game so we can see batting practice, meet some players. The boys brought balls with markers.

and like cards to get autographed. Long story short, he gets rained out. The game never happened. They pushed it back to like 8.30. The game should have started at seven. And then finally they said, we postponed the game until Wednesday. And we're like, well, great, guys. That's not going to help Wednesday.

Me and my 13-year-old looking at us like, we're going to be at Disney on Wednesday. It's not going to work. And other kids are like, why can't we come back? They were so upset. Like, they were really bummed. My seven-year-old and my foster, my six-year-old foster son, he was like, dang it, man.

I'm like, we wanted to see. They were, they were, they were, it was pouring rain and they had ponchos on by the dugouts, like, looking for any player to come out. So they were bummed. But we knew that there were, you know, sunny skies ahead. Yes. You had a lot more plan. They didn't. Okay, so didn't get to see an MLB game.

Didn't get. Still haven't had their first MLB game. Good news is we're not far from Atlanta, so you could still make a weekend trip to do. Correct. Like one day. Or the Cardinals or St. Louis or Cincinnati. There's, there are places nearby. So the next day we drive to Florida.

And it's a six-hour drive from Atlanta to Orlando. So we're driving. And about three hours in, my seven-year-old is just like, why do, why are there signs that keep saying Orlando? And I said, because the beach is on the way. Like Orlando's on the way to the beach. It's never been on the way to the beach. Just be quiet back there, okay? How is he clever enough to figure that out, by the way?

I've never paid attention to signs when I was out of york. No one does, but this guy is like, that says Orlando. That doesn't seem right. Apparently you have some very smart kids. Yeah, I guess. And so we keep driving. And the whole plan was we had their matching little t-shirts with Mickey on them. And the whole plan was to get like 10 minutes out and then surprise them because I didn't want to tell them after Atlanta that we were going to go to Disney.

Because they're going to go to six-hour drive, they're going to be like, are we there yet? Are we there yet? So by the time we get to Disney, they're going to be all, it's terrible. We drove for six hours and this is not fun. And I didn't want to deal with that. So I waited like 10 minutes before we got to Disney to tell them. So we finally get to that mark and my wife wingset me. She's like, should I get the shirts?

Like get the shirts. And I got the phone out. We got video. I'm telling them like guys, remember when we said we were going to the beach? Like, yes. Are we there yet? Well, no, we're not there yet because we're not going to the beach. What?

We're going to Disney World. And then we threw their shirts at them and they were like, what? This is amazing. And then my son, of course, like, of course we're in Orlando. I knew it. So we got there and then it was game time. So you're going to have that epic surprise moment. Yes.

I love that. Yes. Like literally like when they say it on the TV, I'm going to Disney. That was that for y'all. Yes, it was. And then they got their little matching shirts and it was really, really cool. Oh, okay. So surprise happened, they get there.

And what all like parks, different rides? So we knew we were going to get there one day. day ahead to kind of get to the resort where we were staying and then just hang out the pool and just get ready for the next day next four days because the next four days is going to be like intense craziness so we got to the hotel and we just kind of checked in and we walked around we went to the pool and just did that the first night okay second night uh second day we knew that we were going to get there early my son had already said hey look the gates open up an hour I heard forums that say that yeah yeah a little forum did his study and like deep dive study He said I heard that the gates open about an hour before

so we can get there super early and like we can just get in the line for the first ride Okay clever yes All right so here we are All of us is like seven in the morning Like there we go I got my shorts on

I got like four water bottles five water bottles because it's gonna be hot Dad's ready to go Morgan you would have loved to see how prepared I was I had battery charges for our phones two of them, extra ones. I had fans with misters on them.

I had them all filled up with water. Everything. I mean, Dad was ready to go. And so we show up early and sure enough, he was right. They let everyone in the park, but the actual start where the castle is. Yeah. That start that kind of goes into all the rides, that didn't open until 8. Okay.

So we kind of got there early to get into a big waiting line to actually get into the rides. Dang, Dizzy is, like, this is a whole thing. There's an operation. It's a whole operation where I feel like they've figured it out. Yeah. And so, yeah, so at 8 o'clock sharp, they kind of play the music. It's like, da, da, da, da, the whole park opens up. Everyone rushes to the ride that they want to ride, and then we get in line, and then off we go.

Oh, okay, so how many rides did y'all ride that first day? Well, okay, so I was telling lunchbox about this, too. The rides are, there's roller coaster rides. Okay. There are experienced rides. almost like where you sit and you kind of just see things. Okay. I mean.

Like different movies based on things? Sure. If it's a avatar ride, it's an experience right where you see a bunch of avatar people or it's in its virtual reality. And it's like it looks like you're flying on one of those animals or whatever. Yeah. There's that, but you're not, it's not like a roller coaster. It's not like, woo, it's crazy.

Okay. But then there are like five roller coaster rides. Okay. Those, the roller coaster rides had the longest rides. Okay. Longest lines. That makes sense. Long.

I'm talking like two hours. hour and a half to two hour lines. Are they like magical roller coasters? Like they're great ones? I would say the best one is Space Mountain. Okay. Because it's in the dark. It's inside a fake mountain.

So it's all in the dark. You have no idea if you're going to fall. You know, the only thing you do kind of feel is you're going up. You know, it's one of those like, and I hate roller coasters. Oh, my gosh. My stomach's already dropping. I'm not even on a roller coaster right now.

But let me tell you, I'm so proud of my little ones. My six-year-old foster son and my seven-year-old. They rode every roller coaster that they were allowed to. Because, I mean, I think my foster son made it by an inch. So it was you and the three boys. No, it was all of us. Except the baby. I was going to say, what did y'all do with the baby?

So there was a swap is what they called. Like, I kept calling it wife swap. And they correct me every ride, but I kept calling it that the whole week. It was like a rider swap or something. So if it's me, I go with me and the three kids first. Okay. And then when we come back out, it's like tag team with my wife. And then she gets to go with one more kid.

Just back to back. She gets to cut in line and just. Oh, that's just. So Disney like literally has predicted. Yeah. So if you have a kid in a stroller or a kid that doesn't ride those, the parents, they want the parents to enjoy it too. To enjoy it too. I mean, you're spending all that money.

You better be. Yeah. So we did wife swap every ride. Okay. So she still got to ride all of them. She got to ride all of them. And one of our kids got to ride every ride twice. Okay.

And they would rotate. Yeah. They would kind of rotate. It's your turn on this one. The next one, you get the ride twice. Did anybody ever get sick? Me. Dad's vomiting in the trash can.

Let me tell you, after day three, Morgan, I just think that my body couldn't take. I mean, I went eight, like, I went all in on these rides. Every ride, I'm like, let's go. We're going. Anything. And after day three, my body couldn't take it. I would get back to the hotel and I felt like I was on a boat still. Like my brain was.

You didn't have like your land legs. No. And I was getting dizzy and everything. And like at one point to my wife like, I don't know if I can ride any more rides. It got to the point where like I had to ask the person like, how bad is this ride? Like a lot of movements. And it was more the virtual reality stuff than it was. Oh, interesting.

Roller coasters. But yeah. So it's either the roller coasters or experience. Is the two different. Yes. And then they have little kid stuff like little bribes. Different rides. Little dumboes that fly up and down.

Okay. That you'd see at like an amusement park situation. Sure. Yes. Cool. Carousel. What experience things did you all do? The Star Wars is epic.

Amazing. Okay. So this thing, you have to, there's so many people want to do this Star Wars ride. It's called the Rise of the Resistance. And it's an experience like 15 minutes of experience. And so in order to do it, though, you have to get a boarding pass at 7 a.m. And that means go online to the website and click on it right at 7. 7 a.m. And if you don't, it's like ticket master. If you don't get a ticket to the show, you don't get a

and this is before you even get to the park. You have to get. So my wife woke up at like 6.30 a.m. And like click, click, click, click, click for like 30 minutes straight. She finally got one for like 1 p.m. So that means that just allows you to get in line for the ride. So she got one for 1 p.m. And we get there. And we probably waited in line for about 30 minutes. And then we get to the ride. And this ride is amazing. So it starts where like you walk in in this like a big machine, like a big like a ship, like a big starship or whatever. And you go in with like 15 people, 20 people or whatever. And this guy is like, I'm your captain and we're flying whatever. And we're in the Starg Galaxy and we're boo.

And then the whole thing feels like it's moving like we're flying. And then we get pooled. And they're like, what is that? What is it? Oh my gosh. We're getting pulled in by a force field. And the enemy's pulling us in. And the trackers guys going in.

And the whole ship starts to shake. And then we finally end up like in the enemy ship and the doors open and these like enemy soldiers come out like everybody out with guns pointed at us and we're like oh let's go and all the kids are like this is crazy and all the adults are like this is funny. Like we're all laughing like fake guns or whatever. But the kids are really like oh man it feels like we're getting kidnapped. So we get in and and this is where all for the rest of the trip all the Disney people are so polite like. Yes. Can I help you? How do you need to get to the restaurant? Restrooms are over there with two fingers. Yes, soft drinks are over there. Disney, Eddie. Right? Everyone's so nice. They can't be mean. But in this ride, they're like, shut up. Start moving. And they were, and while I was like, are they being serious or are they just in character? They were being in character. Well, yeah. I mean, if you watch Star Wars, there's some mean characters. Yes. And then so we're waiting in this little like spot to get into the second part of the ride. And the guy yells at, he starts yelling at the parents. He goes, what side are you on? And I'm like, what? Excuse me? Like, okay, this feels a little real.

I'm like, what do you mean? What side are you? I'm like, are you with the resistance? Are you with the empire? Whatever? And I'm like, I don't know. Ask someone else. And then finally he goes to this dad who's on his phone.

He's like, whose side are you on? So he's like, ask my son. I have no idea what's happening here. So like. That is what you call a parent just there for his kids. The dad is on the phone. He's like, I don't know. Dude, get out of my face.

Like, what are you doing? But it was cool. Like, you get to ride in and you're in this ship and you're trying to escape the ship. And people are. rescuing you from like and they're and they're real people and they're like go go go we got you we're here to save you and you just feel like you're in the movie for 15 minutes I love that one that's a cool experience is that a newer one I would say the last five years okay hasn't always been there no and that's one gripe I had about the park a lot of it's really old school like they still

have stuff from like 1960 when it first opened and I'm like you can probably get rid of those Update those. Some of those can go. You're like, okay, Disney, go on. Yeah. But Disney's been around a long time. I guess that shows the history of it. That's when it started, so yeah.

So did you see the fireworks over the castle? We did. Okay, so you saw those one night. Yep. And that was really cool? Pretty cool. I'd seen that when I was a good. Okay.

So our kids liked it, but it was late. It's 9 o'clock and we got there at 7. And you'd been there all morning. And so we're toast. We're ready to leave at that point. Okay. Okay, but cool the experience. Not bad.

Not bad. Did you see the Marvel? New Marvel amusement park? Is that in there? No, I believe that that's, I don't know what, no. I didn't. Oh, that's in California. Okay, that's the other one.

That's in California. Thank you, see, I can't keep these. Again, haven't been. I don't know where everything is. I was like, did I miss that? Because we didn't do that. Okay. And so food.

Food. What was the best thing you ate? See, this was hard for me because food to me is just food. And I've been like this my whole life. But my son had already researched stuff and there was something called the dole whip. Yeah, the doll. Yep. You know what that is?

You know what that is? He had dolewit. And he loved it. Loved the dull whip. And I think that one thing was happening during Epcot or a trip to Epcot Center or whatever. And it was the food and wine festival. So they had food from different countries. Everywhere. Oh, I want to go to one of those.

I want to go around the world. I think you would love that. Yes. Like they have beers, wines, wines, drinks. Yeah, I think it's definitely more for the adult side of that. That was our day three and definitely my favorite day. Okay, so you did it. You participated in that.

I did. I did. We got to walk around the world and drink beers and try food. But again, everywhere you stop, it's like $7 for a tiny taste. So you're paying for a ticket to get in. Uh-huh. And then you're paying for everything you're eating in the long time. Okay.

Yeah. So after like $60 of food, I'm like, I'm still hungry. This is stupid. I don't want to like once we got to Germany I'm like I'm done eating I'm done eating and Germany got the crap into that stick And all the kids are like but we wanted to try Japan

Like no we're not we're done We're not trying Japan anymore And you're having to pay for all the kids too Yeah it's a lot of us It's a lot of us so I would assume Going with like friends Probably a little easier Yeah you're just paying for yourself

You're just paying for yourself You get a couple of food items From different countries and then you call it a day So what was your our favorite food. Food? I would say, I think, um, or drink, because I know they have really cool drinks, too. I just like the beers. I had probably like four different, like, kinds of beers. And they're not big. They're kind of like taster, sample size or whatever. So I had like four from four different countries. And those were yummy. Yeah. Okay. There was one like a pineapple infused

beer. I think that might have been in Hawaii, maybe. I don't know. Was that a country, Hawaii? No, it's not a country. But I don't, I also don't know if it's states. I don't. I don't. I I don't know. So you could tell me anything and I believe you. I think it's anything because Hawaii was one of them. Okay. And they had like pork sliders. Oh, yeah.

For food. There was something in Germany, which was my last one, like that was really, really good. And I don't know what it was, almost like a potato mixed with sausage or something. I don't remember what it was, but I couldn't pronounce it 100%. Okay. So German. But I was that. Germany.

I was that annoying dad, though, that would kind of go up and be like, hey. What's it? Hello, you got fish and chips in there. Oh, you've tried out all of your accents is what you're telling me? For sure. And the guy's name's Frankie's like, just what do you want, dude? Oh, my, you so dadded it. It's so hard. I go to Mexico and I'm like, hola, Tienes margaritas and two tacos, por favor?

And they're like, excuse me? So at what point did your kids get embarrassed of you? Like after two countries? Like we're done. We're done, dad. Especially a 13-year-old. He's like, this is not what I signed up for. But then, of course, I talked about my very expensive lunch with The Beast.

Yes. Which was where they come out and they're all in character. Yes. So apparently you can book lunch and dinner spots in the parks. Okay. Different characters? I don't recommend it. Like, I just don't because it's so, so expensive.

You have to get reservations like months out for these places. And I don't know if characters come out in every single one. But this one was lunch at the beast. castle and the beast was going to show up or whatever and we get there and it has a fixed menu so it's one of those fixed menus where it's like $60 for adults oh and like the course meals uh-huh they're already fixed and $30 for children I have four children and the baby's not eating like I've already decided that the baby's not eating and we're like gosh this is going to be ridiculous and I asked my wife like is it rude to cancel like can we just bail out of this and go get a hot dog like anything's just like

No, we can't. We can't do it because we had already booked it and we're already seated. It's not one of those things. If we weren't seated, we probably could get out of it, but we're already there. So I'm like, all right, just got to swallow it. So you're giving a pro tip to parents that go. That's probably not worth it to go. If you want to go, if that's your thing, it's a decent meal.

And it's a cool experience? It is cool. The beast comes out and he waves at you, but he really comes out for like two minutes. Okay. Maybe a minute and a half. Probably not worth it. I would say not worth it, but again, it was packed. So people like that stuff.

Hey, but this is the whole point of when people go on trips. They give pro tips from them to be like, hey, this is what you shouldn't do. Heads up. Yeah. I'm just saying heads up. It's going to be expensive and it's fine. It's not great. Okay.

To spend your money elsewhere. But I was. Maybe around the world. I was so mad. And my wife's like, you're just going to have to like deal with it. Yeah. Like you're just going to have to say, you know what? This was a mistake and we're going to move on and we learned from it.

Yep. Because I was so mad. I'm like, I don't even want to eat this food. You're a little eating it. You're like, this is $5. I've never spent. this much of money on food. I hated it, but, but yeah, that was my...

So worst part of the trip, probably. Probably one of my worst parts, yes. Oh, man. I know. I'm so jealous, though. Yeah. No, when do you think you'll go? Hopefully in the next few years as another one of my vacations.

But I want to go to Marvel, especially because I have all the superheroes. So maybe California. Yes, but I want to do Epcot, the around the world, and those are two different places. So I may have to go twice. Yes. Different thing. Okay. So your trip.

Or not. Come on. Okay. What can you share from your trip? I mean everything. I'm just not going to talk about my boyfriend yet. I just think before you even start, I think it's very, it was a big move to say, I'm going to take a whole trip. It wasn't just a trip.

You didn't go to New York for like a day or two days. You didn't go on a weekend getaway. This was a week long, week long? Road trip, yeah. Week long road trip through the east, the northeast. Well, here's the thing about me. Just dating me in general is I'm very adventurous. When I have that opportunity, I have a very adventurous side of me.

And I'm like, let's do everything. Let's go and explore the world. I don't get that option very often because I work a lot. And I need to go see my family when we have time off. This is for everyone, yes. Yeah. So like I really don't get to show that side of me very often. But like when I date people, they know it because like I'll literally be like, let's go go karting.

I don't do traditional dates. Like don't take me to dinner. Take me to go play go carts or laser tag or something stupid. because I prefer that. I'm just very adventurous. So that's just part of me. So that was already there. He knew that side of me.

So it was just like exemplified when I was like, hey, I have this time off. I'm going to go if anybody goes with me or not. This is what I'm doing. Because I want to go see some of the world on my vacation. And he's like, well, let's see if I can get off. He did. And we're like, okay, this is happening.

We're just kind of like, okay. It wasn't until he started to get on the trip. Did you think there was a chance that he couldn't get the days off and probably wouldn't come? No, I didn't. I was like, no, he probably can. I mean, it's not a other job. We have a very specific job and that's harder for us. He's able to do that.

Most jobs, it's not how that works. And so, yeah, he was able to get off and I was like, okay, this is happening. I was really excited for it. I was like, I'm going to go see the country. I got my dog with me and I'm going to see if I, you know, I knew I cared about him. And I was about to find out if we could withstand that in a relationship, which is probably a good thing. It's a pretty big test. Yeah.

I mean. Gosh, Morgan, what have you, it would have been terrible the first two days? Oh, it would have been off. I think we both would have known that. But what do you do? It's not you can be like, all right, here's a plane ticket, like, take off. I think you just try and make the mess of your time and then you go home and you're like, okay, this is not going to work. I mean, it's a very easy test very quickly to find out if things are going to work, a lot of things.

Testing patients, testing. Yeah. Finances. Just testing a lot of ways. People travel very different. Mm-hmm. And we learned both of us are very easygoing. That's cool.

But like I'm a planner, though. So I did have a plan for us, but it wasn't like we could go, we couldn't go off of that. It was like we just had a set kind of idea of what it looked like. Was your plan these places and then eat at this place, visit this place while we're there? Or was it more of like city, city, city, we'll do whatever we want while we're in the city? I had the only places. So the only places that we had planned were Washington, D.C., Philly, and Portland, Maine. Everything else was impromptu. And in those cities, I had some things that I was like, okay, I really want to see this, or I really want to eat this or try this.

It wasn't a lot. I mean, like, in Washington, D.C., I was like, I need to see all the monuments. Sure. That was my big thing. I've never been before. And then, like, in Portland, I was like, okay, like, you really have to try lobster rolls because that's their big thing. And I want to make sure I try a sweet in every city.

We had, like, ideas of what we want. Try a what? A sweet, like something sweet in every city. But people go for coffee. I don't drink coffee. So I either want to try, like, a donut or a cupcake or a sweet place in that city that they're known for. which always brings us to really fun places.

So I love that that's my thing. But so that's really what we did. But so along that way, it was just kind of like as we were road tripping, like Washington, Washington, D.C. was our first stop, which we loved. We got to do everything. We didn't get to see any of the museums because we had our dogs and couldn't leave them in a hotel or they'd be like freaking out. So we didn't see the museums that we got to eat a lot of places and really crazy that

pretty much all of the Northeast had just opened back up from the pandemic. Yeah. Like literally within weeks. we had just got there. So they were all still, a lot of the places were still all outdoor dining and stuff,

which worked out in our favor. So we ate a lot of places, saw all the monuments in Washington. Everything's pretty close in that area for the most part. Monument wise. Yeah, all the monuments, yes. Not the White House.

It's still there. I walk all that. You have to, I would suggest driving to the White House. And what's really cool, which I love about all of the cities that we went to in the Northeast,

you can pay for the parking on the street on an app on your phone. Oh. You just have to put in your thing and then you just pay for like $5 or like $1 for 10 minutes. It wasn't hard to find parking by the White House? It was hard for some. You just kind of had to perk further away, but it was better to park than to walk 30 minutes

from each. What was your favorite out of all the monuments? The Capitol. Oh, yeah. It's the prettiest building. That's the furthest. That's all the way down. We drove to that one too.

Yeah. Definitely the pretty. and we saw that one at night. So I loved it. It lit up. Like it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. So definitely the White House

or definitely the Capitol and the White House was blocked off. So there was protests going on the day before and a little bit that morning when we were there. So we didn't even get to get as close as you normally can

to the White House. How far would you say? I mean. Like football feels. Like a block. Like you're literally on the other end. You can see it. But there's like caution tape.

There was also like little police vensing put up. And then there was the actual fence. Yeah, you're easily a block. So what could you see? You could see the front of the White House. And you can see that kind of fountain that's there. That was about it.

It was just more crazy. I was like, oh, our president's there. Yeah. It was a cool, like, feeling. Didn't really get that full experience. I do remember that feeling, too, of like, wow, the president's in there right now. And some of those buildings, too, like, not like the capital, but like some of the, the, you just walk by, like, a building where you know someone's got some top secret record in there.

Yeah. Or there's a. top secret letter sitting in that building. Yes. Like they do serious stuff in there. Yes. And that's also how I felt at the Capitol because we walked the Capitol and obviously what had just happened at the Capitol earlier this year.

So you're standing there and you're like, this is where that happened. And you feel eerie. You kind of feel like, oh, this is weird. And the Capitol is still shut down. So you can walk. Like at night, there was no barriers. You're literally just walking around and like chilling. You couldn't get actually like on the Capitol, but you'd be right next to it.

But you're sitting there and you're just like, it's all lit up, but like nobody's in there right now. It was a very, like, very weird time to go to D.C. Yeah. Just because of everything that's going on. Crazy. Yeah. So cool experience. I would love to go back to D.C.

What did you think about Abe? That I liked Thomas Jefferson more than I liked Abraham Lincoln. And didn't make it to that one. What's the, what's, what's you like about Thomas Jefferson? We drove that one too. We saw that one at night too. So lit up. I bet you so it looks so cool it up.

Yeah, well, I liked, I liked Abraham Lincoln because it's iconic, right? Everybody makes sure to go there and everybody's standing there and he's in the big chair and he's huge. I like that you have to be quiet. Yeah. Well, and that's how, but that's really how everybody is in all of them. Oh, really? When you get up to each monument, it's pretty quiet. You don't hear a lot of busyness happening.

Wow. That's just kind of how everybody acts. And you just kind of know that that's what you have to do. But yeah, Thomas Jefferson we went to at night and nobody was there. I mean, we literally went at night during a weekday and we just walked up there and we were sitting in there chilling. And then I sat on the side and then like the whole monument was in the background. Like it was just a cool experience. I would say it was cooler to see them all at night than it was during the day because there's not as many people.

And you just kind of get a feel it than it is like looking at everything. You're like, oh, this is cool. That's cool. That was cool. The nighttime monuments. So you think you'll go back and go to some of the museums? Yeah. I would love to.

I'm not super a super history buff, but it would be fun to go back to museums. sometime. So then we went from there, we drove, and we pit stopped in Delaware. We pit stopped in Annapolis, Maryland. Navy. Which is the Navy town. So pretty. Such a cute little historic downtown area. Didn't do much because I just kind of walk around, see all the ships coming in and out, the little sailing ships. I see like make ships there. Yeah. Crazy. And we walked by like the Navy school. We didn't go in it or anything you can, but we didn't. And then we went to Delaware where we just kind of walked on one of the pretty rivers that was in there just to say we'd been to Delaware.

Really? Well, I was like, I'm like, I'm probably never just going to come to Delaware, right? I'll probably go to Washington, D.C., but it's going to be really hard for me to come to these smaller states on a whim. So I want to say that I can, I've seen something in Delaware. And so we walked like their brandy wine creek, which is pretty popular there. And then we went from there and stayed in Philly. I don't think I'll ever go back to Philly.

Really? Yeah. just not I think you have to be from Philly to love Philly and I loved the Rocky steps which was iconic yeah I saw that picture

that looks so cool yes loved that moment did you run up the steps yeah of course you did oh yeah I even carried my my dog and his dog and a stroller up the steps

I mean we were working out I was like Rocky now I've heard his statues not on top like it is in the movie it's on the side there is like a little like a footprint thing on the top of it but they're right next

A rocky footprint? Mm-hmm. Like it says like rocky and like a little like a Hall of Fame kind of situation. That's cool. A walk of fame situation? And what is that? A museum? It's an art.

It's an art museum, right? Yeah. It wasn't open when we went. It was at night. It was a cool city to look at. And from like the top of the stairs you see the city, which is really cool. Yes. That's the whole.

That's the whole rocky image of him kind of keeping his hands up and you can see the city. Yes. Is the Liberty Bell there? No. Different area. Okay. So we did Rocky at night. and we walked around and ate some food somewhere,

or we had cheese steaks. He did. You had to have Philly cheese sticks. I had cheese fries. It was good. I like cheese fries. And he had this Philly cheesecake. Which is your,

that's your veggie version of. Yeah, it was good. We did the cheese side of it, right? But yeah, he liked the cheesecake. And then saw the love sign and the Liberty Bell in that Independence Hall the next day. All cool to see. I just wouldn't go back. Not a reason for me to go back unless somebody is getting married or something up there.

Gotcha. you. So from there, then we went on to Portland, Maine. I would go back to Maine a million times over. You loved Maine. I loved Maine. And I didn't even see like half of it. And you didn't even eat lobster? No. Also, he said lobster is kind of crafty because they serve it on white bread. Really? Yeah. Like Wonderbread? It's like this $30 lobster that gets served on white bread. Is it all chopped up? It's not like a full, it's just like kind of like round lobster. Different places, season it differently or whatever. So it is their thing. But another thing that's popular in blueberry are blueberries in Maine. And so I had blueberry beer and it was so good. That sounds

good. So good. I still have some. So I may bring you one. I'm down. I literally went to a liquor store and I was like, I'm bringing some back with me. That's awesome. Yeah. But I would go back to Portland Maine a million times over. I bet that was just beautiful out there. Yes. I mean, you're on the coast. And then if you go three hours, which is what I want to do next time, you go to Acadia National Park. That's where you can see moose and bears and all kinds of things. When we were there, we ferried to an island and like biked around the island. I fell in a rosebush. Funny story. That's terrible. So we had our dogs with us. I had Remy in the basket. Wait, he has a dog? Yes. Okay. I was in, I was bike riding and in the basket was Remy. Remy's 20 pounds.

Like, like Dorothy and Toto. Literally. Yeah. The picture I posted on Instagram says, Remy, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore. That's so good. And we're literally doing that. You're funny. Remy's sitting in the basket. She's 20 pounds, right? And I mean, I'm like, I don't know, a little 120 something. Like, she's heavy compared to me, right? I'm already struggling to get up hills with her. But so at some point, I like go to stop and I like try to put my foot down. And one side is like the cliffs and the rocks to the coast.

And the other side is all this like flowers and things. Thankfully, we were on the other side. I put my foot down. And I'm like, uh-oh, uh-oh, this is not good. She's getting top heavy. And we literally just tumble into the rose bush. And Remy's sitting there like looking at what just happened and I'm like get Remy out. Don't care about me.

I come up. I look like I got clod up and down my legs like straight up clawed. And that's the annoying pain because it's not like hard, hard pain. It's just like I've been thorned everywhere. Yes. And I'm literally like as I were, I'm like, it's fine. I'll be fine. Memory.

I'm saw the Rosebush. But as we're biking, I'm like seeing it walt up. I'm like, this is not a good look for me. And they're looking at you and then they're looking at your guy. Oh, yeah. Is everything okay? I'm like, I fell on a rose. I'm literally like announcing in public everywhere.

Like I really fell in that rose bush. Like trying to make sure that's what happened. It was so bad. But yeah, that happened. And then we went to an old orchard pier, which is like you drive 30 minutes into nowhere. And then you come up, it's like you go into nowhere land. And you come out and there's this huge amusement park on the beach. Nice.

There all the time. They don't even have designated hours. You just can go whenever you want Because it's based on how busy it gets Did you ride? He rode a roller coaster By himself because you don't do roller coaster I don't I sat with a dog that was like

Go ride a roller coaster I kind of like commend him for that I don't think I would do that But he was just like I'm here I'm gonna do it Yeah he's like I want to ride a roller coaster I was like cool go do it I'm right here I want to get cotton candy

Literally I was like eating We had there They call them like I don't remember what the name is But they put gravy on fries And that's their popular thing Is it good? No.

No. No. You're like, skip the gravy. No, no, no, no. Just eat the fries. But yeah, then we hung out on the beach. So from Maine, though. Excuse me.

No, no bad words here. The gravy on fries is putteen. No bad words. Poutine, that is what it's called. That sounds so bad. Poutine. It's not yummy. I mean, it's fine.

It was not yummy, though. So then from there, we went and we drove through New Hampshire, which was like an hour. Yeah. So there's such small states over there. We stopped in like one of their. I don't think an hour to be a long time. you're not in it for very long. So we stopped out one of the state parks, again, to kind of say we'd been in New Hampshire.

Hey, that's cool, though. I love state parks and national parks. It had a really cool view. New Hampshire is beautiful. The scenery is. Where was the lighthouse? Portland. That's Portland.

Yeah. Portland was like the big stop. Like I would go back to Portland a million times over. Just Maine in general a million times over. And then we went to Vermont. And in Vermont, we saw the Queachy Gorge, which is this massive, massive, massive gorge that is filled with water. And it is so beautiful.

You can see it from the highway. You can go and look out. But then we went and walked in it and we went and walked like in the creek and stuff, which was really cool. Wait. Hold on. I don't want to jump your story, but you posted Niagara Falls? Yeah, that's fine. Okay, so that's not the gorge.

Got it. So we were driving. We decided to take the scenic route back instead of going straight back down to Nashville. We're like, okay, we'll just take like an hour detour and hit Vermont to see something because we've heard Vermont's really pretty. And it was. Like Vermont's is super. cool ski town, I would love to go back to Vermont in the wintertime.

Yeah. Like, it's like the Colorado of the Northeast. That's cool. That's what I feel like. I don't know if that's right. But then so on our way back, we had to drive through all of New York to get back down. This is just the route like Google Maps was taking us. This is New York State.

Yeah. All of New York. Like, not New York City. Like the entire rest of New York, right? Which has terrible, terrible tolls and stuff. Really? So many. Don't ever drive through all of New York.

Bobby and I will be there next week. Don't drive through all of it. Okay. Just go straight down. But so we were like, oh my gosh. I was like, we're 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. We have to go. We're up here.

I'm never going to be up here again. This is the whole, let's just kind of wing it. Yes. And I'm like, we have to. I was like, we have to, right? He's like, yeah, we have to. So we kept driving until we hit Niagara Falls at like 2 a.m. Is this by Buffalo?

Where is this? Yeah. You hit Buffalo. It's probably like an hour from there, I think, roughly. I mean, at this point of the time was getting a little funky. It was like 2 a.m. stopped at a rest stop. Wait, you're at 2 a.m. going to Niagara Falls?

Yeah. Niagara Falls is open 24 hours a day. Come on. Yeah. I love how you travel. But we didn't end up going out there because we were so tired. It's literally 2 a.m. You're like, let's go.

So there's a rest stop right before Niagara Falls. And I'm like, we're just going to pull over and we slept there for like four hours until six a a year in the car. Wow. Slept for like four hours. It was. I will never sleep in a car again. No, that's terrible.

But it was perfect for what we did. And so six o'clock rolled around. I went and like threw some makeup on. the rest stop restroom, changed clothes real quick, brushed my teeth. Did anybody see you do this? No, it was like 6 a.m. There was other cars. There was so many people sleeping in their cars.

It was crazy. And then we went about 15 minutes. We made it to Niagara Falls right as a sunrise. Oh, that's beautiful. And saw like a full rainbow in Niagara Falls. And I was like, what is life right now? I just saw Niagara Falls. And I didn't even know I was going to be.

It was the coolest thing. That was how we ended the trip. How would you describe Niagara Falls? Not what I expected. smaller, bigger? No, so I thought it was all one big waterfall. It's like kind of three separate ones. And there's a whole Canada side that you can see a different view.

Yes, yes, that's a whole different view. Yes. I've read about that. Yes. So we saw the New York side because Canada wasn't even open. You never went to Canada. No, but we thought about it. It's right there.

The border is right. We literally drove next to the border. I was like, I could go to Canada right now. That's crazy. Which I wanted to. I want to go to Canada. But, yeah, so we saw Niagara Falls and that was like our last stop. Loud?

Yeah. People say to do a lot of the things they have there, like the made of the mist stuff. We didn't. We were there before it opened. Are you close enough to get wet? When you do the maid of the mist, you do get wet. You go into the waterfall. Which some people like, I just liked looking at. I was like, this is fascinating. That's a really pretty waterfall. So is there a big river that kind of falls or is it just like? Yes. I don't know what like river it is.

Is this huge? It may. Well, I know we ended up driving next to Michigan Lake at some point. I'm not sure if it connects into this area. I'm not sure. You also know I'm terrible at geography. Yes, I can tell. So that's also why I'm just like moving things on a map. I have so many questions.

I'd love to go there someday. I would. But it's 10 hours from Nashville, Niagara Falls is. Believe that or not. That's not far. No, we did not realize that. It is when you have four kids, but. But like people go to Niagara Falls for a full weekend.

There's stuff to do in that whole little city. It's a whole little like town on its own. I love it. I'll have to do that. Yeah. And it's not bad. I mean, then you drive the same thing. You go to Florida.

But yeah, that was the end of our trip. drove back. We rescued three dogs on the side of the highway right as we pulled into Nashville. I need to hear about this. We saw three dogs. Two bigger dogs in a puppy side of the highway. Like right as we pulled into Nashville, it was like nine o'clock. We're ready to get home. I was like, oh my God, there's dogs. We can't leave them. So we went. It took us like two hours to get them into the car. Rescued them. How do you get them in the car? Oh, it was a whole thing. It was a whole thing. Thankfully, we had like our dog food and stuff with us from the trip. But we had to move everything that was in the back of my Jeep to the, the middle of the Jeep, put our dogs in the front of the car with me and him.

Yeah, don't mix them. And then we had the three dogs in the back. Wow. And that's how we drove for the rest of the way to get to my house and then put them in the backyard. And thankfully, Metro, animal care can pick them up the next morning. They're supposed to be getting adopted and stuff. It's like dog angels.

Crazy. That was my whole trip. How does your dog and your boyfriend's dog get along? It took a long time. I mean, Remy's just a little princess. So she's liked other dogs, but like, like, in her territory is a new world for her because it's just been me and her forever.

But his dog loves her. And so they play a lot. But then when Rumi's done playing, she'll growl, she'll like, get away from me. She's done. She's done. She's done. So for the most far, it's going pretty good.

Good. I love that. Your trip sounded awesome. Yeah, so did yours. No, my was a lot of work. So was mine. At the end of my trip, though, we did go to Destin, Florida for like three days.

So that was more my trip. It's not an Eddie trip if you don't go on a beach vacation. Thank you. It isn't. I know, but I do want to start visiting other beaches. Like, we do go to Florida. That's our go-to, but I do want to, I don't know. I'd like to try it in northeast for a little bit.

I know it's not the same vibe of like. It isn't, and you're not going to get the same beaches, but yoke beaches in Maine. I just love water, wherever it is. And you can go sailing. Yeah, that sounds so cool. They have so many cool things up there. That sounds awesome. I love the Northeast.

I love it. So I would go back. There's our vacations. That was a lot. I mean, that's not even when I planned to talk. Are we done? And we have one more. But we'll make it fast because I did not anticipate.

Give me one headline about your two weeks off. And then we'll just kind of get into stuff as we go. There's a lot of ways. Listen, everything that anyone wanted to talk about that was sent to me was about the wedding. And I get that. And a lot of listeners want to know. We will get there. I promise you. But let's check in with everybody.

Let's go first over to Amy. Amy, what is your headline from your vacation? My headline from vacation is catcation. That's what I was calling my trip. We finally got our cat, which I feel like is a big update because we have been trying to get a cat for, I don't know, eight or nine months ever since last Christmas. So catcation, that's the headline. Eddie, what is your headline from vacation? Oh, mine's easy. Disney is the most magical place on earth. My money magically disappeared in four days.

Hey! Did your kids love it? Loved it. They absolutely loved it. I mean, it was really cool to see them enjoy it. For mom and dad, hard work. Was vacation a vacation? No, but I said that before I left.

I was like, this is not for me. This is for them. And that helped tremendously because I wasn't really like, I knew that that's what I was going to expect. Lunchbox, what's the headline from yours? Oh, I turned 40, so I took a trip to Las Vegas, and I spoiled myself rotten. I rented a cabana at the pool, and I show up, and there's a bunch of hotties, and it was the topless pool. What?

Oh. A cabana, though. Did anybody catch cabana? Cabana? Yeah, I mean, there was, I mean, it was me and my wife, and we had a cabana, and I mean. I called it a cabana. Why does he say everything weird? And let me tell you, it was, yeah, me and my wife at the topless pool, pretty incredible.

But that was an accident, right? Total accident. Had no idea. There were topless people around us, too. And it was awkward. It was when we were on the honeymoon. It was for me. It was for me.

I was like, I felt like an eight-year-old boy. I was like, oh. Yeah. It was awesome. That's right. All right, Morgan, over to you. What is your headline from vacation? Well, I took a trip with my boyfriend.

We went up to the northeast for a week, and I visited eight states that I had never been to for the most part. You took a road trip. Yeah, drove all the way up to the East Coast. That is a long drive. Big trip. And you had your dog with you. I had my dog. I had his dog.

And yeah, we had a great time. And then Ray Mundo, we'll check in with you. What is your headline from the two weeks off? Baseball in Bay City with Boomer. So I got to go see my nephew. He's play sports. Apparently, I haven't seen the kid ever play live. And it was awesome.

So I got to see a little bit of his tournament. Then I came back home and I watched it on my phone because now they have streaming services. You can basically just lay in bed and watch your nephew from 2,000 miles away. So I followed them and they finished top three in the state of Michigan. It was dope and I felt like I was a great uncle over the vacay.

There you go. I'll do one more. Mike D. Give me your headline. Honeymoon in the desert. Finally had time to go with my wife and celebrate being married. I think everybody's married now, except Morgan. Yeah. But pretty much. Sounds like she's close to it. I'm like pretty much. We're all married.

Mine is, I got married Holy crap. There you go. Also, my Bronco got wrecked. By who? What? Yeah, it's a whole story too. I don't know this story.

I know. It stinks. Oh, man. Bad news. Bad news. That's awful. It's awful. It made me think about it

as we drove the Bronco out as our goodbye on the wedding. Everybody was like, yay, sparklers. We got in the Bronco, we drove off. But they're over the shirt. Is that when y'all gotten a wreck? No.

I'm like, it's the best bits of the week. With Morgan number two. Coming in at number one, Eddie, you have to know what this is, right? Bobby's wedding. Bobby got married. Obviously at number one, Bobby and Caitlin got married, and we're going to try and keep this short because we've talked for so long. Man, it's going to be hard to keep it short because there's a huge moment.

It was a lot of buildup to this because of just Bobby being Bobby. I know. You know, like, what were you? What were your thoughts going into this wedding? Well, I'll tell you my favorite part. Everybody shared like their favorite moment. And my favorite moment of every wedding is watching the groom when the bride walks down. So I didn't look at Caitlin until she got to Bobby.

All I did was watch Bobby. What are you looking for? I'm just watching their emotions because most of the time it's like this mixture of excitement and joy and crying of happiness and like just so many different things. And you could see it. You could see every emotion overcome Bobby. And it was really the coolest thing to see because that was such, that was 41 years in the making, right? And so you're watching him. And I just am like, this is, this is the most vulnerable I've ever seen Bobby. And that was really cool to see. Yeah, because that's not his,

that's not how he carries himself around here. Like, not showing emotions. He's the boss around here. He's, he's the boss around here. He comes in. He gets work done. He's very organized and he comes in and then he does it work and he leaves. Like that, that's how he is and you don't get to see that side of him, you know, when you work with him. Yeah. So I can imagine that's pretty big deal when you saw that go down. Yeah. So I got to see that. I mean, I saw that. And then I saw Caitlin who looked beautiful when she got to Bobby and they were both excited to like embrace each other. But that will always be a favorite part of a wedding for me. And that was a really cool moment of Bobby's. But I want to know your top five moments from the wedding. This is, this is hard

because the whole wedding event to me was the entire weekend. And I mean, you have a, I mean, you I mean, you have Bachelor Party that happened. You can include whatever you want. Top five moments from Bobby getting married. Yeah. Yeah. Let's do that. Because there were a lot.

There was the Bachelor party. There was the rehearsal dinner. There was the day of the wedding, you know, where we, him and I and a couple of friends played golf together. And then we got there to the house early and got ready together. And we took pictures. And then we just kind of like hung out and got the guitar out and played a little bit. And just us being out.

We did a podcast before the wedding. and then when it was wedding time it was the wedding and then the reception and then we all went home that was the the whole experience of Bobby getting married and I would have to say my oh just just the my favorite top five mom top five for you I'm not going to go in any particular order but I will talk about the bachelor party I'm not going to go in big detail of what we did but but there was a moment where we all went out to eat after during the bachelor party and I felt like it was important. It was my idea to like, let's just do a dinner.

Because we didn't do much while we were in Fayetteville, Arkansas. We just kind of hung out. It was a lot of camaraderie, a lot of games that we put together, a lot of competition games and things like that. And we needed a night so we can tell stories and kind of hang out and talk. Yeah. And that was

definitely one of my favorite moments when we got together and we just hung out as friends and everybody, there were a couple of guys that were newer to the group. And so they had questions on How did you meet him? Bobby, how did you meet that person? How did you meet this person? And my favorite thing about Bachelor parties is that the Bachelor always brings a big group of friends together that necessarily don't necessarily know each other that well.

But the common denominator is you, the Bachelor. And it always seems to work. Like it always seems to like everyone really get along, even though they don't know each other that well. And we had a great weekend with a lot. 11 people that didn't really know each other that well before they got there. But they left. We're still all in the group text. We all still talk to each other.

And once in a while, you get a like, hey, remember when this happened? Ah, ha, ha, ha. That's all great. Like, I love that. So to me, that was a really, really, really, really cool moment. Is that, when's like the last time you went to a bachelor party? Jeez. That's a great question.

Well, because I mean, you got married, like 16 years ago. So I'd imagine most of your friends got married. Yes, around that time. I would say maybe 10 years ago. I don't remember. I mean, it's been a long time. I didn't go to Lunchbox's Bachelor Party. I didn't go to Ray's Bachelor Party because it was during COVID, even though I got COVID.

But so it had been a while. Okay. So like 10 years. Yeah. Okay. That's a really cool moment. I'm not going to ask too much because that's what you wanted to share. But I love that.

Y'all had a great time. It was great. It was great just talking. And I think everyone. Being dudes, right? Hanging out with each other. Being dudes and making friends all through Bobby. Yeah. I love that.

And dudes being like genuine friends is a really cool thing to see happen. It is because we're always like, you're too cool for friends. We are. Yeah. And that is a good transition to another moment that we had, which was the podcast right before we got married. In true Bobby fashion, we had probably two hours to just wait around three hours to do nothing after we took pictures. And we're like, what do we do? Bobby's like, we have a studio right there.

Should we all just go in and do a podcast? We're like, yeah, let's go. And so there was that moment where we just went around the mic and everyone talked a little bit about Bobby and what what this wedding meant to them and what Bobby means to them as a friend. And Bobby's friend Courtney who he went to college with, he was a college roommate of his, but again, remained really close friends. He got really emotional because he just hasn't had that moment to talk to Bobby. And that was his moment to tell Bobby how we really felt and how proud of Bobby he was that this was actually happening to him in his life. And he was, he just started crying. And then we all started crying and everything got really real.

And I just think the realness of that moment and I guess the Bachelor Party moment was another highlight. Yeah. Well, again, you're seeing Bobby in very vulnerable states. Yes. And that doesn't happen very often. No. You're right. It doesn't.

So. And I think Courtney in that podcast said too, like, we're dudes. We're not supposed to cry. Like, we don't cry. We don't, we're all tough and everything. But he's like, I'm sorry. Like, I'm crying. Like, dude, this is what it's about.

Yeah. And that's how you know it's real. Yes. I mean, that's how you know when people are getting emotions. That's real. Yes. Okay. So podcast, Bachelor party.

Mm-hmm. Three, I'd have to say Ronnie Dunn. I really have to say that was a highlight of the wedding. I mean, Ronnie Dunn seeing neon moon. I mean, gosh. Like he's standing up there singing and we're all dancing to neon moon. Yeah. Funny backstory about this is that right before Ronnie comes out to play, Bobby says,

hey, you and your wife come, when we go out there, follow us so that everyone can get the hint to start dancing. And I'm like, okay, yeah, sure I'll get my wife and we'll start dancing and then I'll call everyone else to go up there and dance. I'll kind of get the party started, right? Well, I don't know what happened, but like 10, 15 minutes before that happened, my wife is like, I don't feel good. Like, she's grabbing her stomach. Like, I just feel nauseous or something. So she had to step outside and I was like, this is bad timing. This is bad timing.

Like, I needed you. I need you for the dance. And I'm about to do a best man speech. Like, I need you. Where are you? And so she's like, I just let me go outside and get fresh air or whatever. And so she wasn't there when Ronnie started playing. So I'm like, what do I do?

I grab Bobby's sister. Oh, but she was so sweet, by the way. I dance with her so much. She's so great. She's so great. So I grabbed Bobby's sister and we dance. But that was beautiful. Like us just dancing to neon moon.

And then eventually everyone got out and dance. I don't think anyone else was sitting down. That was really cool. Another moment was the rehearsal dinner. That was a chance for everyone else to speak and have little speeches, you know. And to me, though, that was really cool. But to me was seeing all of the families get together. I love, like, yes, there's two people getting married,

but I love families meeting each other for the first time. The blended happening. Yes. Again, because it's all from you two. It's all from Bobby and Caitlin that all these people are together in one room. And everyone wants to know more about each other. And you have Arkansas versus Oklahoma in there. And it was really, really, really.

fun. I know I've I've I've no Bobby's sister I've met her before I know her pretty well I've know Bobby's cousin one of his cousins but one of his uncles was there Arkansas Keith was there I know him really well we text a lot you know so I love his family and I remember driving home telling my wife like I have a certain connection to his family I don't know what it is maybe it's just simple people maybe it's just kind of like we're we're both just we love just being us You know, I don't know what it is, but there's a certain connection to me and Bobby's family that I truly loved seeing his sister. I love seeing his cousin. I love seeing his uncle.

I love seeing, you know, Arkansas Keith and all that. I love that. That was really, really cool. And they are. They're so nice. Yes, so, so, so nice. And then my number one, I guess, would just be, I mean, the vow is like just the actual wedding ceremony. This is a big deal.

Yeah. It's a, it was just a big, big deal. Seeing that all like really come to fruition and it's like until that moment you're like, is this happening? I remember having that feeling of like I want to scream so loud, anything is possible. You know, because that's how I felt. Yeah. Well, when you when you are sitting in this room every day and you're seeing him and you saw the journey to get to where that was. Oh yeah.

For that to happen and to be in that moment. That's why I was like, wait, this is happening. This is really happening. And that was such a. cool part of it was just like it it came it happened and like this is real yeah and that's why he was crying and that's why she was like right there with him it was a cool moment their ceremony was really cool yeah what was your favorite moment you said your that that was your one favorite that was that was a cool moment he was he was very vulnerable and just all the emotions all the good emotions

nothing bad just all the good emotions yeah And you could just tell he was very much there and present in that moment. Before we go, because we've talked so much. And I loved hearing about your thoughts on the wedding. But people want to know about your best man speech. Oh. How do you feel like it went? I don't know.

I mean, I thought it went great. You kind of like black out. You're like, I don't really know what I did. No, it's one of those things where like I thought about, oh my gosh, Bobby, like for months. You get your best man speech written? You got your speech done? No, I don't. I kept telling him.

I don't have it. I don't, I'll get to it. Like, that'll happen. I'm not a planned speaker. You see me. When I come to work and I have a whole script in front of me,

like, or a whole story. I don't know how to break down a story. Yes. But I can tell you right now exactly how I feel. Yeah. Without reading anything, without seeing anything,

without preparing from the heart. Totally. So I kept telling them, dude, I'll get to it. I figure it out. And I think it would, it took the whole weekend to get that speech.

down. Really? To kind of just, I mean, to get all the emotions in. And I had not cried. I had not felt like I wanted to cry. I had not even really felt the powerful, like love feeling of the wedding until that moment because I was just soaking it all in. It was like watching a movie and being like, how is this real? How is this real? How is this real? And then everybody that kept coming up to me like you can you believe this is crazy can you believe this but when it was time for the speech i kind of just went up and i knew what i was going to say i knew i was going to say like four or five things i didn't know how i was going to say it or where transitions were going to be um but all i knew was that i wanted to tell bobby how proud i wanted him to know how good of a friend he's

been to me one and to to to to show him that I that I that I I recognize how good of a friend he's been to me and my whole point with that was to show that if he's that good of a friend to me and loves me as a person he's going to be an amazing husband because I'm just a friend like I'm just a dude like I'm just a guy I'm just a guy that's not going to be around him 24 seven you know like she is going to get true true true true true love because that's how he treats his friends he treats his friends so well that he's going to treat her amazingly yeah and so i knew that i wanted to get that point across i knew that i wanted to get the point across of that he's done so many great things in his life great achievements he really was born with not a lot but he's done really

great things like the radio show and everything like that and american idol and dancing with stars but that's trash compared to that moment yeah the wedding is the biggest thing that he'd ever done in his life and that I knew I wanted to point that out to yeah and on top of that I did a little couple jokes you know here there you got some good cackles in the audience yeah I knew that it was going to be a little roller coaster of like but I didn't know that I was going to get choked up didn't plan on it did you had a pausing moment because I hadn't really yeah even when Courtney was, you know, during that podcast, I hadn't really, I was just like soaking it all in. And then when it was that moment, I'm looking at him, maybe he was looking at him.

Yeah. It's just like, again, just feels very real. Yes. It's happening in that moment. And you're like, okay, here they all come. Yes. But what I didn't know is after the speech, um, they came out to give me a hug. And I had just kind of, no, you were being typical Eddie saying hi to everybody else along your way back.

Look, I got not the stage and the whole band's like, yo, dude, good speech. Thanks, man. Thank you. What are you guys going to play? And then a couple other friends were like, hey, Eddie. What's off? I was giving the hugs. And then finally hear Bobby, they go, Eddie, where are you? I'm like, oh, right, right. I saw that all happened. That was funny. I was like, yep, he's going to say hi to everybody. That's what's happening. I didn't really get to. No, you did good. Thank you. It was a good speech. I didn't get to enjoy myself as much as I wanted to until after that speech because I didn't want to, like, forget what I wanted to say. Yeah. You wanted to just be there and you wanted to be present. Yeah. Yeah. But after that speech, I was like, let's party. Let's go. Like, I'm ready now. Let it all go.

Let's go. Oh my gosh. Okay, I love that. I'm glad you shared. And I'm glad you feel good about it because it was really good. Thank you. Thank you. Okay.

It felt good. I mean, it felt good. So I'm glad. I'm glad all that came through. Yes, you did. It was good. Choked up and all. Did you?

No. It was very personal. hooked up during the ceremony. Yeah. Yeah. But not, no, not. You had a great speech. It was very personal.

Yes. Like, it was, it was mostly me and him. As it should be. Yeah. That's exactly what a best man is supposed to do. I don't know. I didn't know what it was, honestly. I didn't know.

I'd never done a best man speech. So I'd never. Well, you did really good for a best man. Like, I was like, should I Google it? I'm like, especially considering there was a lot of famous people in that audience. Yeah. I didn't even. I did, I did lock eyes with Jake Owen at one point.

I'm like, God, thing this guy's in here. Listen to me to speak. You will forever be remembered for that guy. Oh, man. Okay. Well, that will wrap it up for now. Yes. I'm sure there's more to come.

I mean, that's two weeks we were off, you know? Man, don't you wish you can just talk about your vacation, like, in length like that. Yeah. Like you don't even, I don't do it. My family hasn't even heard that story.

You know, like I haven't even talked to a family member that that long about. Yeah. You like concise it all down and you're like, here's the, here's the main point. Yeah. Then when you start playing like your vacation back here,

like, man, I did a lot of things. It did a lot. That was a really fun vacation. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I liked yours.

I'm going to go to Disney. I like, I would have traded for sure. I would have, I would love to go northeast. Hey, our next vacation, we'll trade. We'll trade it.

What I want to do is, want to get an RV and do that with my parents. Oh, yes. My kids and everyone, but I want to bring my parents along. I think that's a cool idea because then you're renting one instead of going in hotels and stuff. And my mom loves the Northeast. Like, she would love to go see all that.

Take that it. You can expand it a little bit more because there was some places we definitely wish we could have explored more, but it's a good basis for sure. Okay. We hit everything. Deal. The only thing, like, I had already been to New York City and Boston and Connecticut. And that's all right there.

So you could have hit all those. I could have hit them all. But I had already been to those three and Rhode Island. Those four. I went with Christina Arald phone screener because she's from Connecticut. And so I had hit those four already. So I didn't need to go to those. So we went kind of around.

So you could hit those four on top of what we already did because Boston is amazing. I love Boston. Such a great city. In New York City is awesome. And then Rhode Island and Connecticut have just as much to explore as like New Hampshire. and all of those other ones. They're just small. They're there.

But they're all pretty. That whole northeast is really pretty. Yeah. So you should. Love it. Okay. Well, here you go. You can listen right now to, you know,

basically us coming on air for the first time as Bobby is a married man now. Crazy. Crazy. Number one. If you haven't seen on social media, I did get married over the last two weeks. And at a wedding, got married, have a wife. It's a whole thing now. I'm wearing a ring.

Eddie walked in this morning. like, you're going with the rubber ring right now? I like it. Well, I did have on the fancy ring that was put onto my finger at the ceremony, but it's just hard to get used to. I've never ever had a ring. Never wore jewelry.

You don't wear rings. No. Period. And so I had it on, on the honeymoon, I had it on the whole time, but I just kept playing with it. It felt like, you know, if there's a cut in your mouth

and you can't stop, but like lick it? It just feels big. Or if like you bite it, the ring just felt like, oh, it almost dropped it in the ocean. It was just a whole thing. So I got home and I'm wearing the red rubber one for now and it works.

And I will put on the fancy one when I do fancy stuff. There you go. So you're going to, yeah, rubber, normal days, fancy, fancy things. Okay, that makes sense. Eventually just going to be rubber. Let's be real. Well, no, I think he'll put on this. Mostly it will be rubber.

Yeah. But I will put on the fancy one at times. But listen, everybody here, all the show was at the wedding. We had a great time. All right, you guys sent a ton of questions. Let me get to some of them from Renee Grover. How did you feel about crying during your vows? How hard was it to read?

I knew my vows. I had them there in case I was not able to communicate effectively, and there were a couple times where I had to go to the paper. I thought overall I did fine. I got out everything I wanted to say in the way I wanted to say it, but I did have some instances of emotion where I had to stop and take deep breaths. I give myself a B-minus. Eddie, you were standing right behind me?

Yes. What are your takeaways from? me and the vows, just in general. I mean, it was great because it was heartfelt and you meant everything you were saying. That was really what made you cry because you really got into the vows as what they were. There was a moment, though, Bones, where you just kind of like, it was silence for, I don't know, 10, 15 seconds. I couldn't talk. I was going to cry.

The audience had to go, come on, bones. That was my uncle. Yes. That was my uncle Rick. Right. He's like, come on, you got this, Bobby. He was like, let's go, Bobby. Yeah.

And then we started doing a little chant too, like, bones. Mones, bones, bones, come on. Well, the night before at the reception, I said, hey, listen, if I break down, I need you guys to kind of cheer me through this. And I think that's, he kind of took that too. What are your thoughts? Well, I was, the way I was standing on Caitlin's side, I had no visual of you. So I was just, I was sensing the pauses because I couldn't see what was happening.

And so then I was like, what is happening? Did he forget? Because, like, I couldn't see what all was going on. and I could kind of hear. So then it wasn't until later that some people were talking about it. And then when pictures came out and then I saw it was like, oh, dang, he really was having like your glasses off tissue up to the face or like, was it a pocket square. There's a tissue. And before we went out, Kramer who DJed it and who I used to look up to as a kid because he was a DJ at the station I grew up listening to.

He was like, hey, take a napkin with you because you're going to cry. It was a paper towel. Yeah. That was a full-blown paper towel. I grabbed the paper towel from the kitchen and took it out there. I just saw, once I saw the kitchen, I was like, oh, okay, that explains a lot of the silence that I heard or didn't hear. From Maisie.

How do you like wearing your wedding ring? I don't like wearing that big wedding ring as just a ring. I like wearing a wedding ring because I'm married, but I've put away the big one now wear a rubber one. I don't even think about it. It's awesome. That's great. The rubber one, I take a shower and I wash my hands.

I mean, I was feeling nervous about washing my hands with the other one on. I was like, oh, I don't want to get wet. Yeah. So I've never had jewelry on my hands. So I like the idea of it, but at first it was a bit tough. Here is, how did the dogs do at the ceremony? Well, Stanley did fantastic. Fat Bulldog just chilled up, walked down the aisle.

All good. Eller wanted to eat the flowers in the yard. And she was trying to eat the flowers. And she did okay. But she's much more of a puppy than Stanley is. All right, Eddie, you're up first. I got married about a week and a half or so ago, July 17th, actually. You came to the wedding.

Never forget that day, by the way. I won't. I won't. You're my best man. You had mentioned last night you wanted to talk about your favorite moment from the wedding. Yeah, I mean, for sure, being a best man was amazing, and the wedding and the ceremony was great. But let's talk about the party. Like, dude, the reception was amazing.

And my favorite moment was when Ronnie Duns up there on stage singing neon moon. And as the music starts, a neon sign that says, Bobby and Caitlin, in the shape of a moon, comes down. I'm like, yes. This is amazing. Yeah. How cool was that, dude? Seriously. It was the greatest. And I'll try to put up a video today. But it's

the craziest thing is that I consider Ronnie Dunn, late singer Brooks & Dunn like a buddy. I can just text them. To be like, what's up, dude? Like, that's wild to me. I grew up in Mount Pine, Arkansas. I didn't know anybody. I don't have any.

Like, I would just listen to Brooks and Dunn all the time. And so Ronnie I become friends. We met doing some charity work together. He then played our charity show with the raging idiots. He, him and I, just buds. He comes on the show. She took pictures of you. Yeah, we did a whole thing. Photo shoot. And so we were talking about the wedding off the show. And he's like, hey, what do I get you as a gift? And I'm like, nothing. Just come. Just, we just love to see your face. And he's like, I mean, you want a song? And I was like, yes, I do. And I'll take. And I, and I, and I, wondered if I should do neon moon

because that song is not a love song and it's not that it wasn't our first dance song that was forever we did this song called Forever so but I thought if it's not the first dance it can be neon moon which is about a guy alone just because the song's amazing yeah and so I was like neon moon he's like no problem and so he came and I tried to keep myself from feeling guilty

because I hate asking people to do stuff but I think he enjoyed doing it I hope he did and he starts playing neon moon and you know when the sun goes down and Caitlin, I'm like, hey, let's go out and dance and get everybody out dancing. And halfway through the song, the dance force covered. Oh, yeah. Everybody's just slow dancing to Neon Moon and Ronnie's on stage singing.

It was awesome. Yes, it was. It became romantic, like, when the neon sign with Bobby and Caitlin lowered down. So. We kept the sign. It was a gift to us. Oh, it's still here somewhere? All right.

That's in that room right over there. Amy, your favorite moment from the wedding? Gosh, I feel like, yeah, there's so many highlights from the reception for sure that I guess will get covered. but like for me it was really cool like we've all been friends for so long and to see people there from like you know 15 years of like ago like in our life from when we all first started together like it was just very special like there was I saw some people where I didn't even know they were going to be here and it was like freaking out and just to see them travel all this way and like want to love and support you guys and be a part of that.

And then to look out, yeah, I mean, standing up there with y'all and then looking out to see all the guests that showed up to support y'all, like that was really special. And then also like as a mom for my daughter to be a junior bridesmaid and see her walk down the aisle as I was standing up there. And she looked so beautiful. Like that was a special moment that's a little bit selfish. But I think, yeah, just seeing everyone that gathered to love and support y'all was very cool. Lunchbox, what is your favorite moment from the wedding? All the free stuff. I mean, first of all, we got glasses or, like, cups.

I don't know what you call those things that keep your drink cool. I mean, those were free. They had her name on them. And then, like, all night, you're like, oh, at the end of the night, I'm so hungry. I'm going to have to go to the drive-thru on the way home. Oh, no! Here come the Sonic Girls! Woo!

And they come roller skating in. They're handing out drinks and burgers and chili dogs and tater tots. I forget what I was in the box, but gave us all free food. That was amazing. The free stuff. We had a whole Sonic kind of built up away from where we're having the reception. As the reception was going on, it, Sonic came and built a Sonic. It was wild.

It was wild. Like, well, that reminds me some of those friends from Austin that came up that I'm talking about. We got Sonic. We all left your house, went to my house, sat around the table with Sonic and, like, had a little tiny after party with, like, Lauren and Ricky. It was so fun. By the way, Sonic didn't pay me a dime. I don't know. So there was no sort of promotion, like nothing.

We just, Caitlin and I, I grew up in Arkansas. She grew up in Oklahoma. and it's Sonic land, it's Sonic territory. And so we both go to Sonic all the time. We reached out and they were like, hey, can we pay you guys to come and do Sonic at our wedding? And they were so awesome. I'm like, we'll just come do it. And so there's no sort of, we made no money off the wedding.

Not from no money. We made no money off the wedding at all. Actually, it cost a lot of money to have that way. I can see that. Yeah. I mean, that idea, fast food at the end of a wedding clutch, like wherever it, wherever is your favorite, it just think about maybe it's Taco Bell, get a bunch of tacos or something like that. I was like, this is genius. Ramundo? Yeah, seeing your backyard, I'd been over there a lot of times to play hoop and

stuff like that. To see it transformed blew my mind, especially when the first thing I see is, I don't even know how much that thing was, but some waterfall. I'm like, are we sure we're at the right place right now? This doesn't look like his backyard. That was cool. Yeah, and then also the night before, whatever was the rehearsal, your sister was the first time meeting her and she had, we were just talking and and she said to me I mean we we had each had a couple drinks and she said something to me like hey save me a dance tomorrow night and so I said it to my wife and I was like that was so cool she said that but I don't know if his sister really said that maybe I heard something weird maybe it's her I don't know her accent I was like well I don't know we'll see so then at the

wedding I go up to her I think it was during it wasn't neon moon it was one of the big songs and maybe it was like bless the broken road rascal flats and I go hey Laura to my wife I said you care if I go ask Bobby's sister a dance and she goes yeah I go do it So I go up to your sister and I was like, hey, are we going to do that dance? You wanted me to save a dance, right? And she goes, absolutely. And then I got to dance with your sister, dude. I thought she was going to be like, what?

Yeah, I didn't say that. That's awesome. Mike, real quick. I think before, like, all the chaos happened to the wedding, we sat down and did a podcast. Oh, yeah. We just had time to kill. And all the grooms ended sat in here. It was like kind of an emotional moment before the whole thing started.

I forgot about that. We just kept waiting. And I was like, well, I have a radio station. studio at the house. So we came in here and sat around the mics. It's up on the Bobbycast. We did a podcast about just talking about me about to get married. You guys can hear it if you want. I forgot all about that. Courtney, who cries on it, uh, hit me. He was like, hey, I thought we weren't recording. Okay, buddy. I was like, no, we weren't recording that. Sorry. Don't you know everything's recorded? That's routine of Courtney. That's so cool. Like,

he was your college roommate. And like, that's who I, whenever we walked back down the aisle. Like I didn't see him until the rehearsal, though. And again, I was like, oh, who am I going to get matched up with? And then boom, it's like, Courtney. And I just had all these moments where I kept freaking out over people because it's just been so long since, like, you've seen them or I had seen them. And then just how long they'd been in your life and that they're here for you. It's cool. Yeah.

And, you know, the groomsmen, people were like, how did I pick the groomsman? Eddie was my best man because he's my best friend. Arkansas Keith was a groomsman, which he thought it was the coolest thing ever. I thought it was the coolest thing ever that he was in it. For sure. Because he's just the greatest. Once say, he was your stepdad. Yeah, he was my stepdad.

Courtney, who was my, who if I got married 10 years ago would have been my best man. Oh, for sure. But time has taken us apart a little bit. So Eddie kind of slid in there as a new best friend. My friend Amad, my friend Andy, Mike D. And so it's all people who, through the years, being, you know, college all the way up until today, have just been super important to me. So it was awesome.
