Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong step.

What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught.

Starting point is 00:02:42 I am joined this weekend by Ray Mundo. How are you feeling over there, right? Good. I'm on Amy's mic and it's low. I guess I'm taller than her, so I was trying to, like, raise it. You feel out of a little out of body over there instead of behind your board? But then also it's the weekend show So she's going to come back on money and be like
Starting point is 00:02:58 Who is nothing with my microphone? It was me, Amy. It was me. Well, I'll be prepared if she does that. You got your caffeine ice over there. We are ready to go. So bits that happen on the show this week, you'll check out in part two.
Starting point is 00:03:11 We've got a Tuesday review day. Mason Ramsey was in studio. We did a draft of the best opening lines of songs. I have some relationship advice I need and a big man in uniform update. Bobby won MVP of the softball game. I also had a personal tell me something good about the dog that I found. And Amy had her first hinge date.
Starting point is 00:03:33 Oh. Yeah. I love the Oonan from the crowd. Great. Great reactions. Didn't know what you needed for me. No, you were doing great. That's over in part two if you want to catch up on the show.
Starting point is 00:03:42 But for now, we're catching up on Ray Mundo's life, my life, just living here in the studio. Ray, how is country life? How is the new house? New house is good. Country life. I explain it like this. Where I live, everybody owns tons and tons of acres. There's probably hundreds of acres that all these rich farmers and ranchers have.
Starting point is 00:04:01 They just won't sell. Everybody wants to develop, but they're holding on to it. We only have two acres, but we're not going to sell. So you can come knock on my door and say you want to develop it into a condominium or a mall. Even way out where you are? Like you're out in the sticks. They haven't come to our door yet. We only have two acres.
Starting point is 00:04:18 That's me being facetious. But I live right next to some ranchers, guys that did work on our property. and he said monthly, they come to his house. He has 100 acres and they want to develop it. And he goes, I have a doger. I have an excavator. If I want to develop it, I would. And I don't.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Hey, you know, I mean, you got to live the country life out there. It's not like that's where the city is anyway. Why would you develop it like the city? I got to take more pictures, though. Y'all ain't even seeing it or appreciating it. There's so much corn, pumpkins in the fall, corn, straw. There's a lot of dudes on the weekends that are doing. I believe strawberries and blueberries picking, but corn's up right now.
Starting point is 00:04:51 They're about to start harvesting that. Are you guys going to do like a housewarming party? We need to. You never did one. I know, I never did one. Well, in all fairness, mine was like, went kind of right into COVID. I had finally, like, gotten moved in. And when I would have had one, COVID happened. Yeah, we definitely need to do a housewarming party.
Starting point is 00:05:07 There was just a couple things. We were working on like a kitchen hood. So we don't necessarily have the, it's a, you know what a hood is, right? Hopefully you guys know what's going on. If there's a truck or you don't know what a hood is, I'm sorry. I don't know how to explain it. But we've been trying to get this hood installed. So until, I mean, otherwise, it should be.
Starting point is 00:05:22 pretty money. There's one door that needs to be put in. I feel like I've been waiting on this door to be put in since two best bits ago. Here's the deal. Father-in-law got us in six months. Yeah. Amazing. He had access to all the best guys in the industry because he has them through Garst people. So he's just able to get stuff done immediately. You don't wait for anything. So six months were into that house. He saved us thousands and thousands of dollars, not having to pay for a rent. Yeah. But then there were just a couple things that still had to get done. But what is a part for a door that you're missing. It's a barn door, so there's a track on it. So it's not just necessarily the door. There's also a top thing that has to go on. And that's like on back order or something.
Starting point is 00:05:59 And I got to be real. We're not even in a rush to get it done. I never wanted the barn door. And so it's awesome. Just I think it's fine. I'm so happy with my house. My father and all can come over and do it in five years. I don't give her it. But yes, we get the hood. We just got a couch. We didn't have a couch before. Dang, you just got the couch? We had a couch, but this. This is me getting really into the weeds. It wasn't perfect for the TV. So you would be like sitting upright straight and it wasn't comfortable. So you're just sitting awkwardly.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Now we finally got a Costco sectional. Amazing deal on it. It was perfect. There's an ottoman. You can lay on it. We love Costco. Cat, bays are me. We all just chill on it.
Starting point is 00:06:37 It's perfect now for company. But that was a week ago. So I would say, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Now we're ready for the housewarming. Okay. Well, I'll be waiting for that invite, you know. Just over here waiting to come to see the country life.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Okay. What is your favorite part about living in the country? It's what I discovered when we used to house it for our parents when we go to the country. They live right down the road. There's just a calm about it. And you just look out and it's so peaceful and beautiful. And there's nothing like Nashville out there. It's just the complete opposite.
Starting point is 00:07:07 So I live in the city during the week and work in the city. And then on the weekends, I do nothing but country stuff. I love the dichotomy of that. Do you feel like you're a totally different person now that you've entered your country living era? No, no, I mean, I'm still the same person. I'll still go to a house party and throw down. And you'll still go to the city and get drunk on a weekend? Yeah, yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:07:26 But it's not, you know, you're going to a pool when we're on the west side and, you know, there's all a bunch of vandy kids. We started to realize, okay, we're aging out of this. Got it. That was your moment where you were, like we were talking on the show about aging out of bars. You aged out of your apartment complex? Yeah, you just know it. We're downtown.
Starting point is 00:07:43 We're for however long. And then we just realized we're aging out. Let's move to the west side. Then we did that. We live the pool life and the burbs a little bit. And then we aged out of that. Obviously, you want to start building some equity and getting a house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Well, I'm happy for you guys. I'm glad it's all coming together. What about your car? How is your car from Chase Matthew going? So sick. Yeah? So sick. There's still a windshield wiper issue, though.
Starting point is 00:08:04 The windshield, the wipers didn't get fixed. Your one ask. The most beautiful car ever, awesome upgrade. I've never gotten a compliment about my car in 20 years. And now apparently country artists just come in the garage and go, man, that's a sick car. Dang. Yeah, the security guy told me that Mason Ramsey, low-key flex. He said it was awesome.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Hey, Mason, that's some Riz. Mason-Ramsie has a Riz for a little 18-year-old kid. Riz it up. But yeah, the windshield wiper, I still have an issue on that. So if it rains, I can't drive it. So I'm about 50-50 to drive my chick's car or driving mine. Oh, dang. So, but that windshield wiper can't be fixed, right? Because that's like a part issue with... Yeah, it's kind of the guts of it. So it's not just necessarily the wiper.
Starting point is 00:08:46 you can go get at your average oil change center. It's something in with the motor that has the arm that then has the wiper on it. Oh, no. So it's not just me being lazy and stupid. I've tried to fix it for 10 years. That's wild. Maybe he did try and fix it and he just couldn't. And then I talked to Lauren and she has some part where she can't have a radio because
Starting point is 00:09:07 her dashboard thing went out and she goes, because of that, I can't have a radio. Wild. And it's like you don't want to buy a brand new car. just for one piece like that. That's missing. And so I'm imagining it would be a lot of money to get it fixed, but she goes, yeah, it's just some freak thing and my radio doesn't work. Sorry, guys.
Starting point is 00:09:24 And she has a beautiful car. It's like a display dash. And her radio doesn't work. That's crazy. Like that should be happening in cars. Like one part. Come on. That's why I told her.
Starting point is 00:09:35 I say, hey, I feel you. Feel you in the Trailblazer. You in the rain, her and the music. I got it. Okay, well, I have some super, like, exciting news that I wanted to share. More about you, less about me. No, I want to talk about you all the time, right? Less stress, more life, more Morgan.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Less me. That is not how the same goes. I just wanted to share that I am finally getting to launch my podcast on July 29th. I saw the teaser. I saw the soft launch. Soft launch, yeah. And the hard launch is coming at the end of the month. Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:04 So on Monday, I'll officially launch like what it is, what's happening. And the first episode comes out July 29th. What is it called? Let's get personal or something. I'll take this personally. So what is that? We hate men? What is that thing? No, gosh, no, it's not we hate men. The whole concept behind it is making people feel less alone in the world by talking about different topics that are sometimes hard to talk about. Who's talking about these different topics? Me, experts and some of my friends, like a combination of all the three.
Starting point is 00:10:34 How is this going to differentiate from Amy's Four Things podcast? She has experts on there. Yeah, I think it's different in that. So like the way I set up each episode is that it's like going to therapy, but then what does therapy look like in real life? Okay. So like you bring on the expert, cool, you get all the tools. You know what to do. But then I bring on somebody on the back end of that who's experienced whatever we were talking about. And how are they going to utilize those tools in real life?
Starting point is 00:11:02 Or can you? Is that even possible? Like, yeah, it's great to know all these things to do better. But can you actually do them better and is it easy? Do you think your show would anybody on our show would fit into your show? Would you have any of us on? On the back end for sure. Like, obviously not as an expert because none of us are experts in like the any of that necessarily space.
Starting point is 00:11:22 We could be experts in. I mean, I don't know. You listen to the Bobby Bunchab. I mean, whoa, they're experts on some stuff, man. Oh. Well, we can be experts on like, you know, Bobby on growing up the way that he did or Amy and dealing with the loss of her parents or, you know, Eddie and adopting kids. or lunchbox being a dad or are you moving at a different time in your life that you probably
Starting point is 00:11:45 weren't set up for. So like we're experts at certain things. You know what I mean? But not necessarily like an expert like the neuroscientist that I have on or a career coach in that field, but experts in things that you've experienced in your life. We try to get you on our sore losers podcast. I was just curious if you're going to try to get us on your podcast. Probably at some point.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Okay. In case you guys want to. Can we get that in writing? That's that. She's a whole liable for that. I'm also going to keep doing best bits. So like I'll have best bits and this. Correct. Yeah, I didn't know how many, how many podcasts we're trying to launch, man. Just juggling all the balls over here, you know. That sign. Not everybody needs a podcast. Not everybody needs two podcasts.
Starting point is 00:12:26 That's rude. For you. This podcast has been on launch for like three years. This podcast was supposed to launch before Best Bits has ever happened. Gotcha. Basically, it was like all happening at the same time. And I was like, yeah, I'll do it. Whatever. And then Best Bits grew up. into something that it, like, best bits started as what was supposed to be like a countdown for people to catch up on the show. And then it evolved. And everybody listens on the weekend and catches up on the show and, like, gets to talk to and hear from people like you who maybe don't
Starting point is 00:12:53 get to share a lot on the big show. What we learned is people drive in their cars and are bored out of their minds and need something to listen to. And I will tell you, you asked me what I learned about being in the country and what I love. Actually, the commute. I listen to every podcast under the sun now. So see, you're the person who loves all the podcasts. Because before, on the west side, 10 minutes. It's not enough to start a podcast now. 30 and in traffic, 45 hour sometimes on a Friday night, you know. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:13:17 I listen to podcast. And you love it. See? It is great. People love them. It's like the new social media, I feel like podcasting is. Music is fine. Country artists still keep pumping out your stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:29 You know, we want those heaters, verified bangers. But. Not on the commute. Podcast, man. Getting that brain going. Love it. Yeah. Well, there it is.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Thanks for trolling me a little bit. also. Not everybody needs two podcasts. I'm holding up that sign. You know that meme? You're just jealous. You're just over there jealous that I want to do two podcasts. But, I mean, I don't want to like stop doing the best bits just because I have,
Starting point is 00:13:51 you know, my own coming. And then my own will be on the Nashville podcast network, but separate from the show. It's not like the same content kind of thing. Yeah. You know? Anyways. Also, I have a new foster dog. So the other one went to your parents and now you then picked up a new one.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Yeah. The rescues and shelters are like totally overrun right now. The numbers are so bad and they're like, you want another one? I was like, I mean, you know, let's give it a try. You've had more animals and foster kids, pets, than boyfriends in the past year. You always have to come on here and roast me. But you're not wrong. The only way I do it.
Starting point is 00:14:28 I mean, I've not. You're not wrong. I've had two. That sign meme? Not everybody needs to be nice on podcasts. You came hard. I told you. I wasn't doing my caffeine until you got in here. I regret everything.
Starting point is 00:14:45 I didn't want to be dead on the mic. We did a sore losers and I was so sleepy and I go lunch. I can't do podcasts like this. There's no way somebody enjoys us being sleepy on microphones. Well, maybe. I don't know if anybody enjoys you roasting them all the time either by here we are. Hey, people like that Tom Brady roast. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:15:02 You're so right. But yeah, anyways, I have. I've had more foster dogs. I've only had one boyfriend this year. So yeah, that would be true. Two to one. Bless you because there is a special place in heaven for the mothers of foster pets. No, thanks.
Starting point is 00:15:14 And foster kids and, you know, just taking in things that aren't your own. Are you going to get a docks in? My wife would just show me when I wish I knew the dang name. Freaking, it's a fluffy weiner dog. It's popular. And they're super cute. So I want to say a poodle weiner, whatever the mix that is. Are you just talking about a long-haired, like, doxon?
Starting point is 00:15:36 Will you filibuster? Laura will text me in two seconds. Yeah. Okay, here. We'll actually take a quick break. We'll come back with your results. All right, Raymond was still getting an answer from, oh, he's calling her. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Here we go. Poor Laura, make sure she knows she's going to be on a podcast. Hello. Hey, I'm doing the podcast with Morgan. What is the name of the dog that you want to get? Dashund. It's the weenie dog. but a long-haired one.
Starting point is 00:16:12 But what's it mixed with? Long-haired doxin. Not mixed with anything. All right. So say it again, though. What is it? It's a dash and. Sorry, I have a face mask on.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Oh, my gosh. She's living it up in the country. Thanks, Laura. Morgan said, she says thank you. You're welcome. Now I'll go find me one, Ray. Okay, bye-bye. Bye.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Dashed. Okay. Okay, so I don't know if they're pronounced dachshund or dashed. I don't know. They're spelled like dashed. And this girl, she follows from Love Island, has one. All these girls and these influencers have them, and they are pretty cute. You know, I have seen some come through wags and walks.
Starting point is 00:16:54 Oh, really? I don't know if they still have them, but I did see some come through there. Yeah, don't get designer dogs, guys. Get the homeless ones. I'll send you guys some. I'll send you links when I see them. I follow somebody like. No rush.
Starting point is 00:17:08 Ray's like not good. Yeah, because I'm going to be the one that's taking the dog for a piss at 2 a.m. Well, that's just in their puppy face. See, this is even the more exciting part. If you get, like, one that's one year old, they're already potty trained. Yeah. You don't have to go through the, the really nightmare of waking up every hour. Yeah, well, my cat peed on me six months in, so I don't know if they ever get fully
Starting point is 00:17:29 pally trained. Well, that's just she, she has a she, right? Yeah, she had a bladdered. Yeah, she had a URI. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, dang. Oh, Ray. Maybe you don't need enough.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Also, I'll never forget the time that I've run me up to the studio. It was after hours. We were done working. And I brought it in. Ray goes, what is in here? What is happening? It looked like a rat. It is not.
Starting point is 00:17:52 She's like a little teddy bearer. It looked like a New York City fluffy rat. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, no. Laura, I'm sorry. You may not be able to get a dog. Okay, question. Are you the kind of person who has nothing on your fridge?
Starting point is 00:18:06 Or do you have lots of things on it? Nothing. Nothing. Just because of the new house. Before we had pictures of family, but on the side, I love leaving the front of it clean. You? See, this is a, okay, so growing up, parents never allowed anything on the fridge. It was like, clean fridge, everything else just randomly throughout the house.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Rich, rich. No, that was just how they, like, it was so funny. They were particular. So growing up, I didn't. And then as I got older, I really didn't it. But now, in my house, I have little Polaroids all over it. I have little calendars up there. It's like, I have lots on my fridge.
Starting point is 00:18:38 and I never used to be that person. Yeah, it's functional. There's a lot you can do with it, or do you want that clean look? For now in our life, and we don't have kids. I can't speak for people with wild crazy lives. Mine isn't like that. It is, but not in that way.
Starting point is 00:18:52 We are two. What are we called? Childless. Dinks. Yeah, we're dinks. Dual income under two. Well, you're actually a dink. I'm an ink.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Not all of us have three kids under six lunch. Two under two. Wahoo. All the babies. Hey, how do you know if people have kids? Don't worry, they'll tell you. they'll let you know. Oh, he are feisty today. No, we were dealing with it on text messages because Justin, my friend, he's celebrating his birthday. Yeah. And he's talking about lunchbox coming from the
Starting point is 00:19:18 Bobby Bone show. You guys know lunchbox. No, keep telling us that. And I go, dude, good luck inviting him because all of a sudden people when they have kids, they act like they're trying to escape Guantanamo Bay trying to come out on a weekend. I don't know if he's free or not. Good luck. That is true. Or he brings the whole crew with him. He's like, everybody's invited, right? Where am I going to get rid of these little human beings that I have? I got to sneak away from them. Yeah. Does that mean you guys are like, have you guys had more discussions about kids?
Starting point is 00:19:45 Are you chilling? We're chilling. Yeah. I think it's hard. Like, I don't know about you, but like seeing everybody experience their things with kids. And I'm like, okay, that raises a lot of questions for me. Hey, we got tons of nieces and nephews. We are great uncles and aunts.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Yeah, right. And you get passing back. Yeah. So, I get it. We have a niece and nephew who live in Brentwood, and they come stay with us for a weekend. And then my nephew comes down, stays with us. So right now, that's awesome. We really haven't moved to that little soft little pat on the nudge in the back to have a kid.
Starting point is 00:20:20 Yeah. Well, and you guys just moved out to the country. So you're enjoying that, too. And the biological clock is no longer ticking because we froze Bayers eggs. So that option is always available. That's true. See, that's so exciting. Would you guys try, and you don't have to answer this if it's too personal.
Starting point is 00:20:34 But would you guys like try? Can you even try naturally? Or is that even not a hospital? No, she got a hysterectomy. Got it. Yeah. Okay, that's what I thought. I couldn't remember.
Starting point is 00:20:43 My COVID brain is. Yeah. And we met with the guy there and he goes, oh yeah, it's like $100,000 to hire a surrogate. What the Kim Kardashian? Yeah. I ain't paid $100,000. Which is why you then tried to ask your sister.
Starting point is 00:20:57 Yes. And then that's also a big ask. She doesn't really live here. I mean, she'd probably have to move here. Otherwise, we're not going to be around her at all. Then we have a cousin that said she would do it, but that's a pretty big ass. Yeah. It's a lot of nine months with a baby in your tummy.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Yeah, but the $100,000 for a surrogate, that's not an option. Thanks, sir. Nice to meet you. I'll never see you again. So, but the freezing of the eggs, that's, is that, what is that called? In vitro? No. I just made up a word.
Starting point is 00:21:25 No, no, it's just freezing the eggs and they put them in a freezer in Vanderbilt. But like to, to further along that process. Yeah, to further along then not have to make an embryo or whatever. of them. But we haven't done that yet. Right now there's still just eggs. But I did go get tested. And they said that you are good. Okay. Yeah, yeah. We went and did that thing. I don't know why we did it. But we just did it just to see if it was possible. And they said yes, you would be able to have kids. So you're all good. Yeah. Cool. There's that little update. People always ask about that. People always ask about that. People always ask about that. People always ask about that.
Starting point is 00:21:53 That was weird. Well, people, I don't like to ask you. I don't like, you do your thing. If you want to do it. If you don't, don't. But people always ask. It's a funny thing about it. People always back in the day. When you get married, hey man, are you Married. Hey, what do we learn? You can get married later. I mean, the people that were pressing you in your 20s get married, guess what? We're the smartest ones around. Yeah, you got to enjoy some life. All these people getting divorced. I ain't trying to get divorced. I was only going to get married once. And so I did it my way and I did it perfectly. Okay, so like extreme conditions are the only way you get divorced? Or do you just never? You just like die? I mean, if there was like
Starting point is 00:22:30 cheating involved or yeah, then I would probably get a divorce. making sure you're on like a normal head length over there. I mean, no, I'm not one of those people that says, oh, even if we hate each other, I just found somebody that I knew I was going to enjoy my entire life and I knew that I could evolve with. Yeah. Because the person I dated isn't exactly the same person she has today. She's gotten even more sweeter, more caring, does more stuff.
Starting point is 00:22:52 You know, I feel like it's one of those relationships where you could see it was ascending. And so that's somebody you probably want to marry. Oh. We got the sweet Saturday for like a half second. Like, because even we just went to Charleston. We had a blast with BJ and Allie. But then we were both like, when we had more fun of it was just us?
Starting point is 00:23:09 Because then it would have been more cutesy couple times. Yeah. Which is fine. It turned into a party. Went out like five nights. But we did have that talk. That's how much we like each other. We said,
Starting point is 00:23:18 hey, might have been a little funner of Graham and Grandpa, but just had some cutesy time. You know, did a little more cuter meals. Didn't go to the club till 3 a.m. But yeah. Went on some walks.
Starting point is 00:23:28 Some self-reflection is happening as you get older. Yeah, yeah. I totally get it. Okay, another question I had is what internet thing are you most fascinated with right now? Because I always see you over there, like, you know, searching on your computer seeing things. And I personally can't stop reading about the billionaire, like a Bonnie wedding. I don't know if you've seen anything about that. The Kardashians went, like Mark Zuckerberg was there, John Sina, Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, Rihanna.
Starting point is 00:23:54 They were all this like billionaire's wedding. Wow. And it's been insane. Justin Bieber performed for like 30 minutes, and I think it was like 10 million. million dollars. Wow. Yeah, I'm like fascinated. Okay, I was a little bit into the white party. Oh, yeah. Michael Rubin or something? Yeah. Doesn't he do that every year? He does, and that's my question. How famous do you have to be to get the invite? Is it always a white party? How does he get all these insanely famous people to come to his house? What are the flights like? Is the private airport just super packed with jets?
Starting point is 00:24:27 Do they stay the night? Does he have multiple jets that he sends out to pick everybody up? and if I had a million dollar house, I'd be a little bit of a perfectionist with it. Does anybody break anything? Does it get? Because he's got a beautiful home. You just let 500 people roll. Do you think it's his home or he rents out a home to do it?
Starting point is 00:24:44 That's another question. So I was definitely into that, this white party, which made me mad then. I go, I didn't know what to wear for 4th of July. Oh, just wear white idiot. Michael Rubin has the white party and it's an awesome color to wear for 4th of July. That is true. Which is what Ali did.
Starting point is 00:24:58 She went to a yacht. We got invited to a yacht party in Charleston. We were too hungover. Turned it down. Allie. Turn down a yacht. Yeah. And I'm also a dude.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Hey man. How's it going? Yeah, it's not my yet. I don't even know you, but I got invited third hand to come on this yacht of yours. You probably just want chicks. But I'm a dude. What up? It says Ray Mundo.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Yeah, but you're a party. Yeah. The party wasn't still going five days in. It was actually on the decline. When that bender reaches day five, we're all looking at each other. So the yacht was on day five. Yeah. It was the final night.
Starting point is 00:25:30 I go, I need an. Ivy and my pillow and my cat. You are Grams. Yeah. Now I get why you guys call yourself that. But yeah, Allie rocked white and she looked great. And I was like, that's genius. Remember that for next year.
Starting point is 00:25:42 All you got to do is go all white. It's a perfect thing to wear for Fourth of July. Yeah, red, white and blue, you know? Just pick one of the three. I had this USA shirt and it was such a dad sure. I said I can't. I look like I smoke. You buy it from like Walmart or something?
Starting point is 00:25:53 No, we went to Dillards and they, the guy helped me out, picked out some stuff for Charleston. So I'd fit in because Charleston's more dressy than any other. place in the world. You went to Dillards and had like a guy just help you pick out some clothes. He self-appointed himself and he was giving me, I believe he was gay. I mean, because he was typically, it's stereotype, but typically they're very good with colors and matching and getting stuff that looks good. Dude, he picked me out the best outfit. I go, bro, I love you. Thank you. But yeah, he was self-appointed. He just decided to ball out. Yeah. But then I did this USA T-shirt and it was
Starting point is 00:26:26 not good. It just did he pick out the U.S.A. T-shirt or did you? That was my, that was me. That was me. And then I wore it in Charles and I said, I feel like a dad. I'm taking this off. You do have some dad energy. Gramps. You know? You got to go with it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Well, those, yeah, those are fun. If you get a second this weekend and you want to dive into something, look into the billionaire wedding. All right. It was in India, I believe, is where it was. So they were in all, like, the really cool Indian clothes that, like, were there all the jewels and bright colors. And then, like, also the Kardashians were getting crap because I guess they didn't dress correctly. It's just, there's been so much. much around it.
Starting point is 00:27:01 Yeah, I might need it. Both of us chose wealthy stories. Well, it's like, you know, you always look to things that aren't your life. Exactly. I don't even know if I'd want to go to the white party. Yeah, I don't know. Like, I don't know that I want to. It's just interesting to look at.
Starting point is 00:27:16 Like, I think I'm, it's like one of those things that you can't look away. Yeah. You know, you're just like, okay, well, that's interesting. Not that I'm like so curious. I'd be like, yeah, invite me. Just, you know, interesting to see how the other kind lives. You got pulled in by the headline just like Bobby Bones, where we're all about clickbait.
Starting point is 00:27:33 We don't clickbait. Not most of the time. I don't try to. Oh, boy. Okay. We're going to take a quick break. We'll be right back. All right.
Starting point is 00:27:45 So these are some like listener questions that they've just sent in on social media. And so I figured it'd be fun to do a little rapid fire of them. All right. This is not the listener Q&A. This is just random fun questions. Rapid fire away. What is your favorite thing to do during a storm?
Starting point is 00:27:59 Watch it. Sit on the patio. Have a drink. No drink. just in case something does go south. You don't long be all sideways. You're trying to get the family. I didn't know how hard we're going.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Okay. Sit on the porch and watch it. I'm a game girl. Like, if it's raining outside, bring out some board games. Let's sit there and play. That's Bezor. You all should probably date. I love Bezor.
Starting point is 00:28:20 I mean, trust me, we already get along. We can't date because you guys are married, okay? But I do love games. Those are fun. Okay. What are your favorite hobbies? for me gambling lightly though small small things i love a weekend parlay where you just watch it throughout the weekend so you'll pick a golf tennis and you want the champion of golf the champion of tennis and
Starting point is 00:28:43 a couple NBA or MLB games and then it could equate to a thousand dollars or you could just lose 30 it's the most beautiful way to spend a weekend uh that sounds beautiful okay just I i also enjoy just Just going to a good bar. Not getting slammered. Good bar. There's a couple of them in the country. Not going to give their names. Go sit at them.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Have a couple drinks. And, you know, just take it in. Okay. Nothing like going to a good country bar. I'll add that to it. Country. And just having a couple drinks. Cool.
Starting point is 00:29:15 And then, yeah, then I like the ice plunge. I like running. More can out. Do you run in the country? Is that how you work out now? Yeah. We have the best neighborhood behind us. There's no street parking.
Starting point is 00:29:25 So you just run in that neighborhood? Yep, not going to get hit by any cars. People are out there with their baby. I would hope you never get hit by a car. I'm driving home from work. People have their babies out there. I'm like, I get there's no car parking in here,
Starting point is 00:29:36 but like move over. And I love golfing. Golfing's a big one. Yeah. Do you like any other sports besides golfing? To play now as an adult. Pickle ball, but I need a court. That's true.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I'm supposed to be playing this weekend. I'll let you know if it's a good one. Ow. Yeah. The little double situation happening. Okay. That I got roped into. You're at,
Starting point is 00:29:55 though and you played softball so it's a natural fit. Well, we play, so Wichita has this really cool spot and how we don't have one in Nashville. I don't understand. It's called chicken and a pickle. And this was before pickle ball like blew up and doing what it's been doing in the last few years. But we've had chicken and pickle for a while and it's like a chicken place and a bar and there's also pickleball courts. And it's super cool. Is it chicken and a dickle?
Starting point is 00:30:18 What did you say? Chicken and a pickle. Oh, okay. Pickle. You know, pickle ball? Chicken and pickle. But it's cool. So I've played it there a bunch.
Starting point is 00:30:25 back when I lived in Wichita, but I just haven't like done it since then, because we don't have a place like that. I got all shlammered in Charleston. Yeah. And I DM'd Bones. I go, hey, man, I need to come over to your court and I'm going to beat your ass. So I think we need to play it. Me and him.
Starting point is 00:30:42 I'm sorry. What? Did he respond to you? I don't know. I don't look back. It's too cringe. You would know if he responded or not. So I guess there's a heated match coming up between me and Bones.
Starting point is 00:30:52 He's probably like this guy. He probably also is all of him was like. Ray's drunk. But I do want to go over to his house and play. Okay, well, you can't ask like that. You can't insult somebody to go play on their court. You can't invite yourself over to people's houses. You can't invite yourself and you can't insult them to get an invite.
Starting point is 00:31:07 True. All right. Okay. Mine are working out. I love trying new restaurants. Yes, you do. This big foodie. I like hanging out with my dog, like going on hikes with my dog.
Starting point is 00:31:20 Super fun. Oh. Yeah. And volunteering. I like volunteering. What an amazing American. I don't know about that, but that's just what I like to do. That's where I'm at right now.
Starting point is 00:31:30 You used to be like boxing and I do all these wild things, but my body has gotten old. I do Pilates now. I had to slow things down a little bit and hot yoga. Yeah, that box. You took me to do boxing that one time when fists were jacked for two weeks. You were so mad at me. Apparently got a tape before you put the gloves on. Yeah, you have the wrist thing.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Anyways. Whatever. Okay. Somebody asked for a review from show members on Bartesian. You know the little cocktail maker? Yeah. I love it. I didn't get that.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Y'all got it. I know you should have got one. Y'all rich, rich. No, we got it for free. Okay, let's... I got that for free. And I do like it. I think it's really cool.
Starting point is 00:32:06 I don't, you know, if you don't have, like, the money to splurge on, like, a fun item, and if you don't host people all the time, I don't know that it's worth it. I love it because I typically have people over and I can just press a button and make a cocktail. And it's really good. Like, Mann and You Farm always drinks the espresso martinis.
Starting point is 00:32:25 loves them. Oh my gosh. Just talking to lunchbox about this the other day, he doesn't drink coffee. Yeah, I don't either. What? Okay, but have you had an espresso martini? No. Well, I've tried them and I don't like them because they taste very strongly like coffee. They are amazing. It is the best drink on the market. I know. I don't disagree with you. Everybody loves them. We had enough espresso martinis in Charleston to float a boat. I bet. I bet. And I bet they had some really good ones. They are so good. Yeah, they keep you awake. They're like the new Red Bull vodka.
Starting point is 00:32:56 Give me that Bartesian. I know. You're not using it. He makes the espresso martini's. I make all the Cosmos and the Blackberry drinks. Those are my vibe. So I do like it if you're a big host or you're just a big like kind of casual drinker on the weekends. I think it's great.
Starting point is 00:33:12 It's a really cool thing to have. And you don't need all the ingredients to make 80 different drinks. But if you're not doing those things and it's going to be like an ornament, probably not worth it. If you're not a casual drinker on the weekends, what are we doing? doing? Well, you're probably being healthy more than Raymond Do and I. All right, Andrew from Mount Point. He had asked this question. I didn't include it in the other one. What is your go-to party snack with football season coming up? Pizza. Just a red-blooded American, so pizza. Pizza? Just straight pizza? Any particular kind?
Starting point is 00:33:45 Pepperoni and now I like jalapenos in it, but pizza is my A-1. Oh, what about ranch with pizza? Yeah. You like ranch? Like dipping in in there? Do you like Papa John's garlic sauce? No. Straight to jail. Straight to jail. Bezer does, though. So you guys can order that and eat it together.
Starting point is 00:34:04 See, Bezor and I need a hang out, man. We were always talking about it and then y'all moved to the country. Now we really made it hard. There would be a bunch of dogs. There would be garlic sauce and games, board games. You know how cool that life would be? Oh, man. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:18 That's all I have. Well, I did have one more last one. Felicity also asked this from Utah, not part of the listener Q&A, but she said you were able to talk to your twin? I don't feel like you've mentioned that. Yeah, Bayser was very,
Starting point is 00:34:30 very adamant to get a hold of him. And apparently you can make phone calls on Facebook. Okay. And she got a hold of him. She called him 24 times and got a hold of him on Facebook. Why was this? What? So,
Starting point is 00:34:42 yeah, so he's got a memory problem. So he doesn't know a very bad memory problem just from birth. When we were born, I wrapped the umbilical cord around his head. And so he lost tons of brain cells, like memory cells. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:34:53 That's sad. It is sad. So he has a really bad memory. So I don't think he remembers exactly why he's mad at the family and he's not mad at the family. My sister at one point texted something to his wife and he was offended by it. And then he just got mad at the whole family and he thinks that we all did something bad. But we didn't. So I think it's a memory issue.
Starting point is 00:35:12 And so, yeah, we just talked on the phone. We don't talk as much anymore because of that. But he goes, Maria needs to apologize. But I don't think he even really remembers how it went down. It was something with family and how they just did a shotgun wedding and it wasn't very respectful to not tell anybody about it. But then he thinks that in his mind that texts were sent, but they were really just explaining things. And he thought they were being mean, but he doesn't remember. So he thinks he's mad at my nephew.
Starting point is 00:35:36 What did a 16-year-old nephew do? So he doesn't talk to my nephew. What did I do? Nothing. So he's like mad at me, but I didn't do anything, but he doesn't remember. So, but yeah, we got a hold of him and talk to him. It was great. And I said, hey, you should go to our nephew's games.
Starting point is 00:35:47 He's really good at baseball. And it was a good talk. So do you feel like. like Moore is going to come from this now? Or? I don't know. Because also he has a new number. He gave his phone number to his daughter. He goes, what are you calling my daughter for 24 times?
Starting point is 00:36:01 Well, we didn't know you gave your phone number to your daughter. But we got a hold of him. We talked to him for two and a half minutes. It was great. Maybe something comes of it. But it was good to hear his voice. For two and a half minutes, you said? Or 24 minutes? Two and a half minutes. But yeah, I hadn't heard his voice in probably five years. So it was cool. How do you feel after all this thing?
Starting point is 00:36:18 Good. It's good talk. Yeah. But it's just tough. But when somebody does have memory problems, you know, you're kind of dealing with a person that has old timers. It's how can you make them remember it? Yeah. He's misremembering things just because he does have brain issues. So have you ever met his wife?
Starting point is 00:36:36 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm fine with it. But he just forgets that he's not mad at us. He thinks he's mad at everybody. Do you feel like that's an avenue that you can go through, like his wife to like try and min things further?
Starting point is 00:36:48 Maybe. I don't really have. Yeah, I don't know. I think she's just mad to it. She's mad. And then she tells him, hey, we're mad at them. And he goes, oh, we're mad at everybody. Okay, they must have done something bad.
Starting point is 00:36:57 So in his head, he just doesn't even know. And he lives where? Where are they at? They all live in Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. Okay. Adjacent cities to each other. Got it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Well, I wanted to hear that update. I didn't know that that had happened. Yeah, but got to talk. It was cool. He sounded very upper peninsula Michigan. He goes, oh, yeah, hey. How are you doing, eh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Me and him sound completely different. twin brothers, you would think we spoke different languages. And are you guys fraternal or paternal? Fraternal. Do you look alike or no? Fraternal. Don't look alike. Got it.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Cool. That's all I have. Anything else you want to have? That's it. Okay. Well, we're going to leave from this one. What do you guys say? Hang up and listen.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Yeah, we're going to hang up and listen. Okay. Can you tell people where they can find you? Sison Ray Mundo on Instagram and Twitter and sore losers show. Find that. There's a YouTube. There's also the podcast. It's pretty enjoyable.
Starting point is 00:37:49 if you're a woman, man, whatever, truck driver, as well as a school teacher. We have all kinds of listeners that find it entertaining. We try not to talk sports. Lunch will get on those tangents and they're boring. So I tell them, hey, just talk about your life and people find it interesting. Do you not want to talk about sports? I will, but lunch is just annoying. He only believes in, oh, Chicago Bears football.
Starting point is 00:38:07 The Spurs are the best. He's very stubborn. Wait, does Chicago Bears are a football team? Thank you. Yes. Okay. So I don't, I'm not trying to, and apparently it's not. that interesting to listen to sports.
Starting point is 00:38:20 They just want to hear about lives, just like we're doing right here. Okay. There you go. So, so our losers, go check them out. Yeah. Okay. And I am at Webgirl Morgan on all the things. You can follow the new podcast, Instagram, take this personally, and then the show,
Starting point is 00:38:33 of course, at Bobby Bone Show. All right, Ray, thank you for joining being on. Thank you. Getting vulnerable. I appreciate it. Yeah. Not appreciative of the roast, but that's okay. Now the roast was small and quick, and then we got it out of the way.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Yeah, my feelings are hurt. It's fine. Sorry. Goodbye. the best bits of the week with Morgan. Thanks for listening. Be sure to check out the other two parts this weekend. Go follow the show on all social platforms.
