Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future.
Starting point is 00:00:13 This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. There's an economic component
Starting point is 00:00:24 to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
Starting point is 00:00:58 You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This is Amy Roboc alongside T.J. Holmes from the Amy and T.J. podcast. And there is so much news, information, commentary coming at you all day and from all over the place. What's fact? What's fake? And sometimes what?
Starting point is 00:01:28 The F. So let's cut the crap, okay? Follow the Amy and T.J. Podcast, a one-stop news and pop culture shop to get you caught up and on with your day. And listen to Amy and T.J. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two. What's up, y'all?
Starting point is 00:01:53 Happy weekend. It's another best bits this time. Ray Mundo is here to join me. Yeah! There he is a big yeah. Come in and hot. We're going to dive right in because Ray Mundo has got a lot on his plate right now.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Let's go. We did a behind-the-scenes crew check-in, which I wholeheartedly meant. Like, if they were about to name us Junior Varsity, I was going to be mad. They did BTS, though. I'm really glad because if I seriously would have got like another number two situation, I would have cried.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Yeah, but it also is. I mean, we're 15 years. I am removed from high school. I don't really care about labels. Oh, are you a jock? Oh, what are you a nerd? I see, I wouldn't care if I didn't already have a two associated with my name. Then you give me another one?
Starting point is 00:02:41 I was fine with JV because I like to outperform. So people think, oh, they're JV. And then we just come in and do some bomb-ass segments. Okay, but right. Like, somebody tells you your second place twice. Like, how does that make you feel? I mean, I'm 38 years old. You don't care anymore?
Starting point is 00:02:56 No, well, I do want to. I care, but not about that. Okay, fair enough. Well, that happens. We did a little behind-the-scenes crew check-in, but I want to have some good news to start the show, and I'm going to tell this news, Ray, if you have anything. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:11 You're coming next. So, Best Bits broke 1 million downloads in a month in September. What? How freaking awesome is that? That is huge. Who's getting rich off of this? I mean, you know, like I heart radio. That's pretty cool, though.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I mean, I was a small part of that. You are. Like, that's why I always love having everybody on. And I, like, really, I had prepped it. As you guys know, Best Bits is rejected, rejected segments. And it didn't make it. But I wanted to shout out all the show members who, like, come on and help me do Best Bits. Did you say billion or million?
Starting point is 00:03:45 Million for a month, per month. So it's not like a million of all time. I think we're at like 14, 15 million of all time. So that means either people's lives are really boring or, we're making it a little bit better. You're putting smiles on their faces or something. It's the latter. Okay. I get enough feedback that it's the latter.
Starting point is 00:04:03 And people love it. Girl, I had so many boring ass jobs. I would have loved a podcast back in the day, so you guys are welcome. Okay, so you're saying it's because we're entertaining. But they never existed. When I worked at the lumber mill, no podcasts. When I worked at Walmart Distribution Center, no podcast. You had nothing to listen to
Starting point is 00:04:19 but your thoughts. What about music? You know, listen to some crap music? You could, but that just gets so old. And there wasn't, remember, there wasn't like iPads and iPods and stuff like that. It was nothing. That stuff didn't exist, girl. You dated yourself. What are we going to bring in like a tape player or like a CD player?
Starting point is 00:04:35 No, the Walkman, right? And you brought your dog in here and it's running all over the place. She's sniffing. She's not. She's under my feet. No, she's not. She's sniffing everything around. She's seen what's in here.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Listen, you made me come up here at an odd hour and Remy has had enough of me being gone. So this is on you. Should have brought the cat. Oh yeah, you totally should have. You should have. Oh, but we could have. We could have had a Piper and Hazel moment, which we are going to talk about them on our question portion because that was a question.
Starting point is 00:05:05 All right. But you got any good news besides the best bit situation? Good news. I mean, you had just being parents. I mean, doing stroller rides with a cat. And then you and me just randomly coming up here like we're ER doctors running up to the studio to record this because we kind of fit it in. My parents were going to come to visit. And then my dad's back's getting worse.
Starting point is 00:05:23 So, right, this was supposed to be good news. I know. I knew that I was going to say I was, I really was, I really was an hour ago excited about them coming, but then got the message that they're not coming. So, yeah, that isn't good news. You really suck at this. Tell me something good news.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I mean, really, for me and Beezer, it's just the excitement of we're building the house. So we're the anticipation of just seeing it, the pictures constantly. That's really exciting. Okay, that's fair. That is good, exciting, which is also another thing we're going to update.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Because we rocked apartment life for 20 years. I mean, hey, it took us a couple extra years than the average person, but we're getting a house. Do you ever think about like how much money went into apartments? Well, this last one, it was pretty much free from being a real. That's fair because you're promoting party. What were you, the party advisors? Yes, but even before that, I signed a deal with them for 14 months. I got free rent.
Starting point is 00:06:16 I didn't know that. Yeah, we signed a massive deal and it was so exciting. And then after that, they said, well, we can't give you that amazing deal. but if you want to promote us a little bit and work for our pitch events and Pimp events and do whatever you want to do, then we'll give you another discount. But I mean, so we're not that stupid, but we're still dumb for renting. Hey, first of all, I never said you were dumb in the first place. I just think about like the four years I lived in an apartment and I was like, oh my gosh,
Starting point is 00:06:42 I literally just threw away money. Yes. So we're doing that right now now that we're the CARES team ended. So yeah, I'm feeling that. Yeah, okay. That's where it is. But dang, that's cool. that you got a pretty baller setup.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Normally it's just like a discount. Sometimes there's perks of this job and that was one of them. So that's where all the sunset pictures came in. That would be why. It was your underlying, hey, this place is really cool. I still like the sunset though. I didn't know it. Also, I am now seeing Remy walk around and she looks like a little teddy bear in here.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Like, you just do something in a little Chewbacca running around. Correct. Is that how it feels watching from the classroom? Well, I mean, it's like a zoo, but. It's a one dog. You feel like I brought up like a little. a whole crowd of them. A boyfriend, a dog, a cat.
Starting point is 00:07:25 No. She's also a therapy dog. You should, I just like, I know that you don't hate dogs in this like our running joke, but it's so funny watching you interact with Remy. You just look at her like, oh. I petted her with my foot. With your foot is the key word. Is the thing there.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Okay. So we also had Thomas Rett on the show and he gave us an update on the guy in the crowd at his Nashville show who had a medical emergency, which was crazy. and it's a good update since we needed some more good news since Ray is not very good. I mean,
Starting point is 00:07:56 you tell me this stuff to just pull it off my shirt and off the cuff. That's what we do on the show. What do you mean? Good news. I didn't die today. Ray is like half asleep
Starting point is 00:08:05 and unhinged right now is what I'm seeing. Okay, so I want you to think about what is something that you think influencers have normalized that's really messed up?
Starting point is 00:08:17 It can be a lot of things. Well, for sure, ridiculous-ass clothes. Like, have you seen some of this stuff? Oh, my gosh. Like the fashion trends that come out? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:27 So I feel like that's influencer, and then everybody just feels like they can do it. Like the mom jeans, I never got that crap. And that's got to be influencers said. The Kardashians said it's popular. Then influencers said it's popular. And then the whole world, every girl went from wearing low rise or normal jeans to these high women mom jeans. And it became stylish. That is influencer.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Okay, so when you say mom jeans, what does that mean to you? The ones that you chicks just pull up and it kind of covers your belly button. You want us to have low-rise jeans? I don't know. I don't really remember before that what was popular, but every girl wears high-rise now. And you don't like them or you're just like saying like that's changed? They're fine, but now we're even going into where you guys are doing the bell bottoms or super baggy. I saw Kane Brown at I Heart Awards do these baggy jeans.
Starting point is 00:09:16 Those are cargo Louis Vuitton pants, by the way. Those are awesome. He makes them look good. But if I have to start wearing those, I'm going to look ridiculous in them. I will say, like, it's definitely a thing with clothing. You have to pick and choose your trends. Some things are not for everyone. I was doing the bucket hat because Johnny Manzel was and it was trending.
Starting point is 00:09:35 It looked good, though. The ones that were trending were Gucci. I was doing knockoffs. But I got away with it in Vegas. And then I wore it in, I want to say the cruise. I took it on the cruise and Beezer goes, get rid of that thing. So no more bucket hat for me. She said I look ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:09:49 I mean, yeah, you just got to kind of pick and choose with it, like, and you got to feel it out. Yeah. That's kind of what trends are. That really is. But, yeah, honestly, the, I know with Baylor and the mom jeans, she's like, are these good? Are these? I'm like, this stupid trend. Now we got everybody trying to do it.
Starting point is 00:10:06 That's true. Clothing is definitely a big thing with influencers. They're like, another one I'll say is that, like, filming people without their consent, that really bothers me. Oh, it happens all the time. And I just don't think. I think Remy's vacuuming in here. Guest starring Remy. Did you hear that?
Starting point is 00:10:25 Or it is just me in here? Yes, people just heard it in their cars all over America. Oh my goodness. Okay. I have watched, like, people in public, they'll just start filming people to, like, make fun of them and stuff. And I just think it's so messed up. Like, the only time, I'm ever, if I've ever done that,
Starting point is 00:10:40 I've always asked for permission first and then I record. Yeah, that's messed up. It's really messed up. Mets up. Met them. Even more messed up than messed up is messed up. Yeah, it's really messed up. But the reason I brought this up is I was, so what happened, I was at the gym, Planet Fitness, okay?
Starting point is 00:10:56 Like, super chill spot. Nobody really cares. And I saw an influencer and she was filming herself doing a workout and she, like, had set up her phone on this little weight thing. And people kept walking in front of her film. Okay? And she got so mad. Like, finally she turned around, like, threw her hands up in there and like, went stomped to get her phone. and then like gave up filming.
Starting point is 00:11:18 I'm like, what did you expect? Yeah, you also got to go at high tide, non-high tide. Yeah, like go at 6 a.m. if that's the kind of attitude you're going to go with. Like, this is at like 4 o'clock, okay? It's busy. This is a busy time for a gym. I have never seen anything like it.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Like, just the reality that she thought her video is more important than people simply existing to work out. Well, yeah, and the people working out, they didn't really care about her video. I mean, that's just a whole thing of nobody caring about anything, but themselves. That is true. Like I would have avoided it, but I also like, if I would have been the one filming,
Starting point is 00:11:52 I can't get mad. Right. She's in a part. I mean, she can't film people. If you're going to do it back in the day, you had to be in a private room doing those videos. Nobody would just break out a camera. Now apparently that's common.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Yeah. Like, have you seen the Tube Girl videos? You're not on TikTok, but have you? No. Tube Girl, she like has confidence. And basically she like films herself on the subway, like, dancing on the subway. And everybody's like there. doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Interesting. She's literally two girl. And I find it really, like, I find it really awesome and gives me anxiety at the same time. Yeah. Also, too, like when the people are doing airport videos, because there's a lot of people in those. So you're all those people cool being filmed because you're just throwing them out there. No, and you know when I did the bit about Lunchbox being famous where I, like, did the audio? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:38 I did have people like turn me down because I asked for some like, hey, is it okay if I ask you a question? I'm going to record it. Like, nothing personal. and one person was like, no, I'm okay. And it kind of like stung. I was like, okay. That didn't feel great. Like, I don't know how he does those bits.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Well, you also need a microphone that says Bobby Bone Show so they think you're somewhat legit. Yeah, I just have my phone. That's what I would turn you down and be like, what? You're talking about, what? But they didn't have to say anything about themselves. If somebody asked you the same question you're asking them, hey, can I ask you something about somebody on a show that thinks they're famous?
Starting point is 00:13:09 I'll be like, I have something to do. I'm going to eat dinner. Like, why the hell would you do that? I would never do that. I would. I mean, if people ask me questions in public, I'm like, yeah, what's up? I would give them stupid. I would never, the people that at lunch is able to call on a voicemail, you're able to get audio.
Starting point is 00:13:26 Abby, I believe, has a bit coming up where she's getting audio of lunch. I would never give those people the time of the day. I'd be like, yes, cool, he's famous. Bye, I've got stuff to do. Thanks. I would never tell somebody for 30 seconds about a random question. Really? Those people are sweet.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Oh, yeah. I was going to say most of them are. It is more guys that tend to turn you down. Girls are tend to be like, wait, what? Especially like girls and girls, like a girl coming up to another girl? Girl on girl. Okay, I was trying not to say that. Then it came out.
Starting point is 00:13:54 Oh, yeah. Any others you can think of before we go into a break for influencers? I mean, that's the ones that pop up with me. It's, here, wear this hat, wear this shirt, wear this necklace. Does the food stuff bother you? Mm-mm. You told me about my food videos. I'm just playing with you.
Starting point is 00:14:08 I know. Well, I never know when you're roasting me or you're serious. Well, I guess food video. have normalized now everybody's videoing it at the table back in the day. You would just eat now food eats first. See, I don't mind those, though. I love food stuff. Right, but it's just been normalized.
Starting point is 00:14:23 I'm saying because of the influencers, hey, is everybody done with their pictures? Cool, I'm going to eat the food I ordered. Thanks. I paid for it. Oh, gosh. Okay. Well, before Ray goes on any more rants, we're going to take a quick little break. This is Amy Roboc alongside TJ Holmes from the Amy and TJ
Starting point is 00:14:42 Podcast. And there is so much news, information, commentary coming at you all day and from all over the place. What's fact, what's fake, and sometimes what the F. So let's cut the crap, okay? Follow the Amy and T.J. podcast, a one-stop news and pop culture shop to get you caught up and on with your day. And listen to Amy and T.J. on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts. You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of
Starting point is 00:15:24 plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience, rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:16:01 I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real. conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer Zoe Spencer and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100% they believe everything, but at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving.
Starting point is 00:16:44 If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. We did another Bobby Bone Show Cinema Club, and we reviewed Pretty Woman. I actually thought you'd like this one, Ray.
Starting point is 00:17:14 I did. I gave it a 3.5. I did say of all of them, it has rewatchability. So five years down the road, I have a daughter. I'll watch it. Girl dad. You're going to watch it with your five-year-old daughter. It's going to be like an Amy situation. Your daughter's going to be walking around in tall boots. All right. Not a good timestamp. Maybe 20 years down the road. I'll watch it. Did Laura like it? She didn't watch it with me, but she'd seen it before. Okay. It also, I mean, starts out in L.A. Wow. Nobody wants to live there anymore. Remember when L.A. was a cool place to live? Yeah, you don't think anybody wants to live there anymore. Hell no. I mean, they do this glamorous thing.
Starting point is 00:17:49 I'm like, damn, L.A. used to be cool. But it was fine, but you realize there's so many more layers now to movies. There's side plots, subplots, this character, main character, anti-taginist, tagonist. I don't even know if those words are right. Anti-taginist. I think it's antagonist. But then you watch this movie, it's Guy Meets Hooker. Will they become a couple?
Starting point is 00:18:12 That's the entire movie. Wow. Simple, though. Like simple, it's not a lot of like brain power, you know? You can just enjoy it. Yeah. And Julia Roberts, what a hottie. She is.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And, like, I just love her and Richard Gear together. I felt like they had good chemistry. Also, I get the thing he's super rich. She was working the street and they ended up together. Not likely to happen. Also, she was very attractive and well put together. It just wasn't believable. Oh, you don't feel like H-ers are put together?
Starting point is 00:18:43 Well, I guess now in today's society, if you're as attractive as her, boom, you got an internet. You're not on the streets. I mean, I feel the street type stuff was 40 years ago. So that's why it's just tough. I mean, you drive Broadway. You're going to see a H word? No. Yeah, you're going to see some sugar babies.
Starting point is 00:19:04 You are? You know what's funny, right? Ever since we talked about the sugar baby bit, I've seen more and more of them in public. Because you can just tell the dude's older, hoti. Oh, there was some at IHart Fest. When I tell you, like, these girls were young. I mean, like, early 20s young. And these guys, 60 plus.
Starting point is 00:19:22 Yeah. No, it happens all the time. So when we talk about it blown away on our show, it's everywhere you look. It still does blow me away, though. There's a concept of it is crazy. Dude I follow, can't give names or specifics. Bayser used to hang out with him when she was in college. He is still hanging out with college chicks, but he's aged since then.
Starting point is 00:19:41 That's his thing. I mean, he ain't getting some dude hanging out with young chicks. We ain't paying for every. That's it. A sugar baby daddy is you're paying for all the chick stuff. Are you hooking up? Who knows? But you're giving them the five-star restaurants, the clubs, the bars.
Starting point is 00:19:55 He probably has a mansion now. That's it. Let me ask you this. If you were not married and you get older, would you do a sugar baby situation? I'm not rich. That's the thing. That's the difference. I know what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:20:06 Like, if you were, like put yourself in that position to be a sugar daddy. Would you pursue that? I just, honestly, I don't think I'm on. track to become super wealthy. I could maybe become wealthy, but that's not one of my goals. You're also clearly not very good at imagining a life. I just never see myself in a mansion and just blowing money on five-star dinners and these new state clubs.
Starting point is 00:20:27 There's dudes that do that. It's just not me. Even my buddy, Billy, is the richest dude I know. And he still would never be on track to just get some massive-ass mansion. He would invest or do stuff like that, get a nice house in Austin, but never just get this out of the world mansion that the sugar babies want and go to these dinners and just blow money, even he's toned it back. And he's like, dude, I don't even go downtown anymore.
Starting point is 00:20:50 And he's got tons of money. So those people just have a different headset. Boom. Is Billy older than you? My age. He's your age? What do he do to make so much money? Started his company and sold it.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Genius. Is it like a tech company? They film, so they'll put cameras. So your house outfitted with cameras, but on a larger scale. He did it at the soccer stadium in Austin. They do a bunch of businesses. stuff like that. Dang. He rolling in money. Yeah, and then they sold it.
Starting point is 00:21:16 So yeah. But that's just not me. I would never, the sugar babies want this, kiss the ring, money just everywhere. I'm never really going for that. So now. That's fair. So you can't even imagine. I can't even imagine. Now I get where you're going. Yeah. I hear you.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Well, based on cinema club, have you watched anything or excited about anything coming out? Any reviews? What did I recently watch? We got We watch these foreign films sometimes. I don't even know the dang titles of it. I believe it was Reptile.
Starting point is 00:21:47 We watched one with Mel Gibson. It's called like the hurricane. Wait, Reptile. Is that the new one on Netflix? It's probably a top tenor. You just see them if they pop up. I do that sometimes too. It is.
Starting point is 00:21:58 It's reptile. So yeah, we're rocking that. Justin Timberlakes in it. Is it like a thriller? It is thrilling. But not like a thriller. I'm actually going to pass on that one. I've been so passive watching that one.
Starting point is 00:22:11 I can't even review it. Let me give you this Mel Gibson, though. Okay. Storm movie. Force of nature. There you go. Is it what's it on? R.
Starting point is 00:22:20 It is on Netflix. It's an hour and a half. Awesome. Because I love weather. And Beezer loves Mel Gibson. That's fair. Is it really about the weather or is it like, is there? Not about the weather at all.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Subplot. Subplot. Is there like aliens involved? No, no. A lot of action, a lot of killing. Boom, bam. It starts from the very beginning. So it's not at all about weather, but you love weather.
Starting point is 00:22:44 And on Google, it's got a 2.2 out of five. That's horse crap. That's not great, right? Somebody said, I would rank this in my top five dumbest movies. Screw y'all. Okay, well, what do you give it? So it was from 2020, but it wasn't popular then, and now all of a sudden it's coming back around. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:02 Because of the weather, because it keeps your attention the whole time. You're not dazing off. Four out of five. Okay. I love. the force of nature that they were able to include in it. You and Weatherman. It's like a little romance happening.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Well, I have one that I want to encourage people maybe not to watch. Go. It's on Apple TV Plus, and it's called Invasion. And it actually is like it's the second rated right behind morning show. Which are you watching morning show? No. It's been great. No, I already saw it in real life.
Starting point is 00:23:35 It is kind of like our life. It went after that, right? It went after Matt. was a dude at Today show. Yeah, I mean, like, it is kind of modeled after, like, real life. Yeah. For sure. But, yeah, that's been good.
Starting point is 00:23:48 But invasion is, like, number two of, like, their top ten or whatever. It's about literally an alien invasion that happens. And it's, like, all the moments leading up to it. And then what it looks like, like, literally a little bit too eerie that I'm like, this could actually happen. Oh. And, like, I really was into it. And then it got really dark, really fast.
Starting point is 00:24:07 Well, you can be prepared for it when it does happen. Yeah, I don't want to. Like, not like, yes, I believe in aliens, but like I don't want that to happen. Were we holding animals during it or a guy? There was animals. No, I wasn't. Are you asking me? No, there's none.
Starting point is 00:24:20 It was just me. That's probably my house is also very scared. So maybe. Who's at the door? Oh, it's Amazon. Yeah, literally. That's the only person knocking on my door. Oh, it's two greets.
Starting point is 00:24:30 I ordered ice cream. Also that one. Yeah, don't watch it if you don't want something that's a little terrifying. A little too real life. Thank you. So maybe not that one. I don't know. Maybe I need to keep giving it a shot.
Starting point is 00:24:42 But I am excited because Loki, season two, Marvel, Marvel show. Yes. Coming out this week or came out this weekend. And then upload season three is out on Amazon, October 20th. Did you ever watch upload? No, I'm a little behind on those. I feel like you would love upload. You and Laura would both love upload.
Starting point is 00:25:03 It's on Amazon. You haven't it at Google. It's only like 30-minute episodes, too. Let me upload it. Literally. But season three is coming and I'm excited for both of those. A lot of smiling faces. What is it, a comedy?
Starting point is 00:25:16 They look like they're laughing. It's a comedy, but it's like about life after death, basically. Oh, wow. That's not sad. No, it's not. It's entertaining. It's like technology and life after death. You guys would both really like it.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Yeah, I could give it a look. Let me know if you do. Because I think is good. It looks like it's got golf in it? Yeah, in the afterlife. I'm in. Yeah, you'll like it. So those are ours.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Any others do you want to add to our do or do not watch list? I'm telling you, between the movies that we have to watch for Bobby Bone show, we've been keeping up with Big Brother. I'm just, I'm kind of really passive on these other ones at Bayzer watches, so I don't feel like I give an adequate review. That's fair. But Big Brother, and then we watch Below Deck. Below Deck is phenomenal.
Starting point is 00:25:59 It's these people on a ship. It's on Bravo. Is it still the same cast, or have they casted new people? They switch it up, but they go more attractive every season. I mean, the dudes are all models, the chicks, look like they're Australian models and they put them on a boat and they got to work for other people. Ray, I've seen below deck. I do like below like. I'll watch it passively. It's a lot like our job. Everybody is so specializing good at their job. Yeah, that's fair. One person sucks. It
Starting point is 00:26:25 becomes evident with everybody. Wait, Ray, who's the person that sucks on our show? No, I'm saying if you do. Like let's say you. No, I'm just asking. If you made a website mistake, it would affect the whole show. If I made an audio mistake, it would affect the whole show. Fair. Same with them. And they're like so stressed. And watching it, you go, how are they so stressed? They're in the Caribbean.
Starting point is 00:26:45 They're at the, uh, a Malfi coast. Why would that be stressful? The people say the same thing about our job. They look at us and they say, that's the easiest job ever. Come here. Come in this studio. Don't leave a zombie. It's a lot of pressure.
Starting point is 00:27:00 It's a lot of no windows thinking you're in a casino. We have no windows. Never know the time of day. The computer screens are blowing up right now. That was scary. That was scary. Ray, like I'm sitting in the studio and all of the screens just flash. Yeah, and also there's power outages.
Starting point is 00:27:15 I got to come in and reload every computer that takes 45 minutes. Don't get me started. I digress. So basically when they leave their zombie, that's it. Okay, well, I really liked when they were normal people, though. Again, they weren't models. In the first, like, beginning seasons, I felt like the below deck people were just, like, regular normal people. I'm down you.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Each one, now attractive. And then they all, you go on their Instagrams, play. boy. You know, I like the, like, don't you like the regular people or do you like it with the more attractive people? I just love it. And I'm like, oh, my gosh, mine isn't the only job that is so, no, no, I'm serious because they're just like, they're at their wits.
Starting point is 00:27:52 To see another job where they're at their wits in and you're like, oh my gosh, I can totally emulate. Like, been there. Okay. That's it. That's it. Okay. And I keep telling Laura that and she'll just look at me and go, stop, just stop.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Like, enough about your job. That is fair, though. That is a good show. I'll give you that. I like below deck. I'm with you. And I love seeing and learning about all the cities in Italy, Europe. Sometimes they'll go down under like Australia. How cool would it be to go on a yacht like that? But that's something never is going to have because I, you go do that 400,000 probably. Yeah. And the tips that they gave are always like a couple thousand.
Starting point is 00:28:26 20,000. Crazy. So I bet maybe I guess it's $100,000. I can't imagine just like dropping like $10,000 on a tip. Right, but they're there the whole week. So you do have to do. have to, like that much, like crazy. I mean, we go to Dominican, we tip hundreds.
Starting point is 00:28:42 So times that. You just blow in some hindoes? Well, you have to. You tip the waitstaff. See, I haven't stayed at an all-inclusive resort in a minute. Wait, staff, you're tipping when you go to eat a meal, when you get a drink, when they get you a chair, when they get you a towel. Those tips add up. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:59 If you really think about it, you're tipping. You just did like a dollar each time? The maids, whatever, what do they call them now? I believe they are your room attendance. PC new name or something. But you usually leave a five for them meal, a couple bucks there. If it's a nice dinner,
Starting point is 00:29:17 you leave a 10. Also, that leads to other things. The guy ends up giving us a bottle of wine as we're walking out. No other person does that. Well, because we tipped.
Starting point is 00:29:26 And I mean, I'm not going on vacation if I can't tip well. I'm not going there to be cheap. I 100% hear you. I'm the same way with tipping, but it does blow my mind that like, you just have to tip with everything. thing. It is different and an all-inclusive because it's expected here. I mean, we don't tip at Starbucks now. We kind of are expected. But when you're at all-inclusive, it's getting to point where-
Starting point is 00:29:46 I say you go to bars here, though, in the bathroom attendance, you have to tip? I know, but also they're not, they always want cash. Nobody has cash anymore. But they have their VIMO. They have it ready for you. They're like, but I got VIMO. You go on an all-inclusive, you bring cash, so they know you have that cash. It's just expected that you're going to be tipping. And it should help out their life. and you like to think that it's going to make them just so much, have such a beautiful life. Hopefully it does. Yeah, I feel you.
Starting point is 00:30:12 I'm 100% on the same game as you. It's just wild. I know. Like, I won't ever not tip. I just wouldn't go out to eat if I couldn't. But I, they don't want to. We'll tell you about the cruise.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Don't. They said don't. Yeah. No, the cruise is amazing. Like, that's why I say, like,
Starting point is 00:30:25 versus, like, I've never, I've only been on all inclusive with my parents. So I don't have a big, like, thing to go off of here. But, like,
Starting point is 00:30:33 I went on cruises and, Like you're saying, like when we're on the beach, my dad would always like pull out a couple cash and give it to somebody. On the cruise, we never did. Because they say, it's all inclusive. They say no tipping. No tip. Okay. I'm going to tell me twice.
Starting point is 00:30:47 It's amazing. I know. It's not even the fact that you don't want to tip. It's that you just don't have to worry about it. And I've been told they pay their staff very well. And it's just expected no tips. Maybe the bag person. Somebody does something above and beyond for you.
Starting point is 00:31:01 Then you tip. But other than that, no tip. All right. One more time. No tip. I got you. I got you, buddy. Okay, okay. We did the singer real name game. Did you know any of those names? Because I had the list in front of me. Yes. Okay, but if you didn't have the list in front of you.
Starting point is 00:31:17 No, props, because those were some unknowns. Right? Yeah. Those even threw me for a loop when I had them. It made me think about what are your top five artists, like, of all time? Now, since we've been so involved with it, it's got to be Sam Han up there, Morgan Wallen, so there's two female female female man i gotta have a female in the list don't i mean you don't have to but you could who have i been rocking recently man oh kelsey ballerini oh okay yeah so yeah wall and samhunt kelsey ballerini and then i like post malone throw him in there at four yeah who's somebody with some
Starting point is 00:31:55 just bangers you don't got any trap music in there i feel like you'd have trap i know um doja cat i don't know i doja cat i know she's been hitting hit With some heat, yeah. I guess there's my five. That's your five. You can change it up. Give me a second to think about it. I mean, you could throw in a Luke Bryan.
Starting point is 00:32:14 I mean, those concerts have really, I mean, the foundation when I first moved here. Yeah, Luke Brian has great concerts. Yeah. I hate that it's all country, but honestly, I didn't really go to, maybe Taylor Swift, throw Taylor Swift in at five instead of Luke Brian. Okay, okay. Or Doja. No, post Malone 4, Luke Brian, 5.
Starting point is 00:32:31 I mean, I started going to concerts when we moved in Nashville. Other than that, I'd maybe been to a couple. Okay. One time I went to a two chains, one time I went to Taylor Swift. No, like, Nelly, Neo. No, no, no, no. I'm just like throwing down here now. I think, okay.
Starting point is 00:32:47 I want to know, I want to know if you know all of mine. I think you know at least two of them. Shania Twain. Yes. Dan and Shay. Correct. Those are the two I think you know. Tones and I?
Starting point is 00:32:56 No. She seems cloudy day. She seems a lot of bangers. Teddy swims. I've heard. Mm-hmm. And Patrick Droney. No.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Yeah, I figure not. Some of them are like more popy, but you don't strike me as somebody who listens to a lot of pop. Yeah, sometimes I just got the headphones on and I ain't got nothing playing, girl. Does your wife listen to pop music? No, we've been strictly country, kind of. Oh, dang. We'll switch it over, do some Kelsey Ballerini. We'll do top hits, but country's been crushing.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Yeah. Hate to be a guy falling the company line walking it, but honestly, it's been country. Walk in the company line. Okay, we're going to. It is. Sometimes things just come out of your mouth, right? And I just am like, where did that come from? Maybe I go Garth.
Starting point is 00:33:39 Maybe I throw Garth in there just because. Oh, yeah. I'm shocked to you didn't put Garth in there. I've been about 10 concerts of his. So who would you take out? Give me Posty. Take out, Kelsey. I hate that there's no chicks in there.
Starting point is 00:33:51 But give me Post Malone, Sam Hunt, Morgan Wallin, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, five. All right. I mean, it's still pretty solid list. Yeah. That's fair. Yeah. That's right. I got one girl, Maya.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I got Shania. Oh, in Tones and I. I got two. Patrick Droney looks like he's looking through you. Dude. His songs just make me want to live in a rom-com. Emo? Not emo.
Starting point is 00:34:14 It's like more folk, are alternative in a way? I don't know. Play, here, let me play like five seconds of this song. This is one of my favorite songs of his. And you don't have to look it up because I doubt it's in the system.
Starting point is 00:34:29 You get five seconds, girl. I know. Just tell me when to be done with it. Okay. I'm normally pretty good at pulling my computer away Yeah, he doesn't even have one song in the system Yeah, he's not like radio Okay
Starting point is 00:34:46 So it's not like, ah, go away It's not like, um I don't know, I mean, I guess you can fall it into like soft pop All right Um, but yeah, he's good It's like, it's like, uh, romantic music You would I mean, I would, but I wouldn't
Starting point is 00:35:03 I'm also alone, Ray, what do you want for me? Seems like something, you know, listen to. Okay, we're going to take another break before Ray comes on the roasting side of thing. You can have opinions, you can have like a strong stance, and then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our
Starting point is 00:35:46 relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey there, folks, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes here. I feel like it was a little bit,
Starting point is 00:36:41 believable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer Zoe Spencer and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%.
Starting point is 00:37:10 They believe everything. But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.
Starting point is 00:37:30 Listen to Eating Wallbrook from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Darius Rucker stopped by the studio. week. And listen, Darius Rucker is like top laugh of all time. Yeah, it's infectious. And he's one of those guys. You're like, you know what? He loves life. Yeah, he does. He's just so great. And he has a lot of connections. I mean, he's talking about golf and how much he gets to golf and he plays on all the best courses. Well connected. Enjoys country meet, what he does as a profession, enjoys his connections. I mean, he might, when they say suck as much out of the orange as you can when it
Starting point is 00:38:12 comes to life, he might be doing that. Yeah. And he's just so like, like genuinely has found all the right ways to live life. I think is the best way I can put it. Like, he got famous, really big, two different ways, really big. And now he just like lives his life golfing, chills, maybe tours a little bit, releases music when he wants. Like, he is straight up living the life. I know too much, but yes. What do you mean you know too much? I got some country music secrets. that haven't been revealed yet. You want to reveal one? No.
Starting point is 00:38:44 What? Because we know it's going to be about him. You can't tease that, though. What the crap. No, no, no. I, like, he really is getting the most out of life. I swear to God he is. Is that like an iny window of something?
Starting point is 00:38:58 Sure. But I'm saying. But I'm saying, no, I know too much. But yes, I love that dude. Love that dude. He doesn't even know me. The fact of you say I know too much. It's just like.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Never hung out with that dude. But hey, don't. doing it. Okay. Well, during the interview, talked about his mom getting to see him sell out some clubs before she passed away and that was really cool for him. So what's something in your adult life that's been really cool for you to experience with your parents to be a part of?
Starting point is 00:39:28 Oh, man. I would just say, um. I know. Tough, vulnerable question. I don't normally do that to you. I think we hooked up Chicago. Did we get discounted seats for that? Trying to, I don't think I've hooked them up with concert tickets, which would be something,
Starting point is 00:39:48 a little bit of a flex. Hey, I got a great job. I'm your son. You're welcome. I don't believe I have. I've tried and been unsuccessful. Okay. Well, what about like your wedding day?
Starting point is 00:39:57 Was that like a cool, like you felt proud to be? That was pretty cool. I mean, yes, it was a beautiful wedding. And to be able to get married during the pandemic, we persevered. Yeah, wedding day was tops. Yeah, I would have. I don't know. I wasn't there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:15 I had to. I'm sorry, I had to. There was a list of 140 people. It got whittled down to 40. Sorry. I mean, we didn't even invite cousins. I have cousins that still don't talk to me. I just,
Starting point is 00:40:25 but I still talk to you. Listen, you always get so many roasting on me. I had to get one. It's like my perfect moment. Hey, pandemic, dude. I know.
Starting point is 00:40:36 Well, I'm glad you guys got to have that, though. Like, and they got to be there. Yeah, and one of these girls that we talked, used to talk to, got inviting
Starting point is 00:40:43 and she was kind of like a personal assistant. We didn't even talk to her anymore. You could have filled in her spot. See, you still talk to me. I know. Stupid. We tried. Well, I think mine would be
Starting point is 00:40:55 so my parents, the last two years, have come down for CMA Fest when I've went and hosted on Nissan. There you go. And that's been really cool. Like they always like, my mom has like a whole camera roll full on her phone of just pictures of me on stage. I'm like, they're all the same.
Starting point is 00:41:09 There's like thousands and they're all the same. Was I doing anything, Mom? Yeah. And all like very proud. And then they'd come with me to like the daytime stage too and they like have all these pictures and they were there. Like at one point they were chilling in the little swings on the Bridgestone Plaza while I was hosting and I was just like this is cool.
Starting point is 00:41:27 Doesn't get better than that. Yeah. Like the fact that I get to share that with them is awesome. And they're much like you. They love country music. Like raised me on country music. We only listened to country music growing up. So like talk about full circle moments.
Starting point is 00:41:39 for them. Wow, the All-American Dream, honestly. That's cool. Hey, you. No, seriously, that you guys both love country music. You've become prominent in a job at the top of country music, and then they get to chill listening to country music and rocking chairs in the biggest country music city in America and watch their daughter host an event on the biggest, at the moment, stage in country music. You're welcome. Oh, Ray got vulnerable for a second. Ah! Let's see. Hey, we had our vulnerable moment. I don't get a of those with Ray because Ray will push me away from him most of the time. Yeah, my vulnerable moment was I couldn't hook my parents up with Chicago tickets. They asked me, they go, oh,
Starting point is 00:42:18 you and I go, we're not a rock. Like, was it, like, was it Chicago the band or Chicago, like, in Chicago? Chicago, the band, and we don't have connections to rock tickets. So, wasn't able to pull that one. Yeah, that's true. Maybe here we would have, but. No, it was here. It was, oh. Yeah, I tried, pull some strings. Strings weren't ready to be pulled. So they're on the rock side. They like the. They like that. not really rocky, but they like that. Not once. Have I ever heard somebody refer to rock music as Rocky?
Starting point is 00:42:49 Well, thank you for listening to 105 to Rock. We get Rocky. Oh, man. Well, maybe next time. Maybe next time I'll be able to make that one work. Yeah, in another life. Hopefully we get free tickets for. In another.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I mean, we can't even get country free tickets. Thomas Rett. Did we get offered tickets? Mm-hmm. We did? I think so. Dang. I did not.
Starting point is 00:43:09 see that email and my buddy was my buddy's in town he goes oh yeah Thomas Rhett it was crazy and I go what Thomas Rett's downtown we didn't once get off her tickets that's true sometimes we do sometimes we don't I don't know now I'm looking maybe we didn't sometimes we don't is somebody bad at our radio station you are right though like sometimes we just sometimes we don't yeah I'm not seeing anything seen a whole lot of articles about them but nothing in my email so you may be right huh I dreamed it up in another life. Well, you are right.
Starting point is 00:43:44 I don't know that I was going to go anyway, though. Oh, that could be a banger. Oh, he's great. I know. And Cole Swindell. I think it's just more because I've seen him so many times. All right. I got you on that.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Yeah. Like, I love him. He's great. But, all right. Well, we did also get an update on the show's palette investment. Did you spend money on that? No, I passed just because it was a little bit steeper, $80. And I was the train of thought that bone.
Starting point is 00:44:09 was the entire time. So why are we buying a palette? Why want the workers or somebody else see it's a valuable palette and they just buy it? I just see my thing, Ray, was like the whole time, I think you and I both invested in the same thing, the Disney cards and that was it. Correct. My whole thought process besides the palette was like, who's going to sell all that? I'm like, because I know I'm not getting roped into dealing with all of that because that's what's about to happen. The palette, first of all, hasn't happened. Second of all, it hasn't even been brought here. Third of all, they still have to sell all that S. They don't make, like they buy it and then they have to sell everything to make the money back.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Fourth of all, Scoobo Steve's going to bring it here. We don't own this garage. Where are they putting this massive palette that's going to be torn apart and there's boxes everywhere? No, you know what's going to happen right? It's going to sit in this stage in our studio and then we're going to have artists in here and then it's going to be a whole thing that the palette has to get moved. You know that's what's going to happen. Correct. And it's going to be all over the studio.
Starting point is 00:45:08 Thank God I don't have a truck. Steve, it wasn't even his idea or he's the impetus behind it and he's got to go get the pallet. That's the hardest part. All lunch said was, hey, we should invest in a pallet. Yeah, and nothing, whenever lunchbox suggests some kind of investment, I just know there's not a lot of thought behind it. It's like more of a like, hey, this was my idea and I haven't really looked into it.
Starting point is 00:45:31 I mean, I guess I don't have any big time investments, but I'd love transparency. Lunch, please tell me an investment. of years. I'd love to hear one. Oh, you mean like a successful one? Yes, or something. So I know the backstory. Wow, he does. We're going to randomly invest with him for the lottery. That's proved that there's no money in that. We're going to invest with him on a palette. I've never seen like his business acumen put to work. I'd love it. Like, tell me something. It's always just a lot of ideas. Like did you buy IBM in the 1980s? I'd love to hear that because then I'll believe you. Yeah, he hasn't. He has not. He's still, even after all the time,
Starting point is 00:46:08 of talking about all the stocks, he still doesn't even know how to use the app that all of the stocks are on. And you guys aren't even doing it right either. And there's so many better. Like, it's not why. Do not say you guys. But it's, that's the thing. It's not buying a stock low and selling high. There's also things called where you can do a strike price and you do premiums and you buy a hundred shares at a time. And then you can make you, so it's going to be pretty expensive. You're going to put down $10,000, but you put a strike price and you, they get paid premiums. Like there's other ways to do the stock. market, just not buy low, sell high. There's stuff on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Watch the damn crap. I'm not into the stock market, but in five years when I am, I'm going to be well versed. Lunch, hey, I heard about Navidia, buy low, sell high. There's more than that. This all stemmed because all I was trying to say was, hey, like, Kevin and I were having a conversation. I'm like, hey, is there any stocks that you're invested in? I just, like, want to know because I don't, I'm not at the point where I need a investment
Starting point is 00:47:06 banker, right? I'm just trying to like make a little bit of money here and there not have all my money just sitting around. And Kevin and I were loosely talking about like, is there any good ones you have? And he like had one. I was like, cool, it's been doing good. Whatever. And Lunchbox jumps in and he's like, oh, so this is all you have to do? I was like, I mean, no, but like you can talk to your friends and like get information from people if they've been learning information on it.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Like we're all sharing information. That's basically what this is. And then it turned into what you see now on the show. I got it. which is him saying, oh, well, Morgan just said I need to talk to my friend. I was like, no. I said, you talk to your friends while also learning things at the same time. It's a combination of the two.
Starting point is 00:47:46 You're utilizing information. I made a bit out of it. Yeah. And now it just keeps going. And now they're losing money on multiple levels. I say I'm so dumb. You don't, though. Like, you sound like you got good.
Starting point is 00:47:57 You got good. I'm still learning, though. I know. Same. See, some people talk about stuff. They don't even know crap. I don't fully know yet. I'm still learning.
Starting point is 00:48:06 See, like, this is a, I haven't done what you're saying where you did like the double down and that's what I'm saying. It's another, it's not the crazy stuff. That's actually the more crazy like $10,000. That makes me scared. Correct. Correct. You have to, because to do a premium, you have to buy 100 shares. Yeah, and see, that makes me scared. I'm saying. But that's how you do the stock market. Then there's their earnings report. And then you just try to do a good stock price. You watch CNBC. There's other crap that you can be doing. If you buy one with dividends, you always get dividends. then they get reinvested, you get more shares. Correct. Correct.
Starting point is 00:48:40 There's that. I have made it, listen, Ray. I'm going to pop myself on the back roll quick. I've made a couple thousand on my stocks. That's good. Right? But you could be making a lot more. I know people that don't make that much money, make $40,000 a year. Okay. My voice is going out. You want to teach me? You want to teach me some more things? I've got to learn it myself. I'm sorry. I don't. Can you teach me?
Starting point is 00:48:58 Yes. I didn't go to school at an Ivy League school, so I'm still trying to learn the crap from YouTube. but when I'm ready, then I got to convince Bayer to buy 100 shares and then we're all in. Okay. Okay. You keep me posted. But I got to learn more because she ain't investing with me because I don't have a track record, which lunch doesn't have. Hey, tell me how you really feel.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Okay, so my birthday is, if you're listening to this, it was just yesterday. It's my birthday weekend. Happy birthday, girl. 30th birthday. But so many businesses and, like, restaurants give away, like, free things to people on their birthday. I've already been getting in like, you know, emails and stuff this week. What is the best free item you've ever received for your birthday?
Starting point is 00:49:38 Oh, yeah, the restaurants always hit you with the desserts. That's legit. Tennessee Titans hit me with an email, but there wasn't anything in that. Hey, did you get your box? Yeah, I did. Thank you very much. Yeah, yeah, you're welcome. No, that was your hookup, right?
Starting point is 00:49:52 Yeah, yeah. And don't, this is like a tease to the tease. I got one for lunch, but he has to do something to get it. Gotcha. I got yours just for you because, I like you. You're a good person. Thank you. And you deserve one. I want to say, I mean, anytime they hit you up with a $15 dessert for free, that's pretty much awesome.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Yeah. Or like an appetizer? Yeah. There was one place that gave me a free pizza. The Mexican restaurant next to us, it is called, I believe on the sign it says Mexican food. I think that's what it's called. Maybe it's called tequila. Oh, yeah. It might be tequila. Anyways, they not only come play with you for a mariachi band, but then they also, give you a dessert, they end up throwing some whipped cream on your face. That kind of sucks. But you get a free dessert. And I forgot they brought out a flight, a literal airplane mini of tequila shots. And we all got free tequila shots. I need to go to this place for my birthday. Right around the corner from the crib.
Starting point is 00:50:47 Okay. I'll give you the address. Yeah, give me the address for that. So, I'll just make sure not to have makeup on and shove all the whipped cream in my face. No, be careful because it looks terrible. Like they were just slapping me in the face. They did do that in college a lot. They love doing it to all the college girls. I'm like, I'm glad the dessert's free because you guys are slapping the ass out of me. And they probably get a little bit of enjoyment out of that. I mean, let's be honest. But when the dude came around the corner with the plane, I'm like, that's awesome. Worth all the whipped cream in your face? You totally redeemed yourself. Oh, man. Okay, that's a good one. Yeah, mine was just pizza. That's good.
Starting point is 00:51:20 You get it. Did you say from where? I thought it was from Papa John's maybe pizza hat. one of the main pizza places. That's a bomb. Yeah, it was like a whole pizza. I don't know if they still do that, but that just happened one time. But I mean, at my place, wife and friend told the guys,
Starting point is 00:51:39 hey, it's his birthday. How did they know it was your birthday? Well, I signed up for things. I was just trying to figure out what all had good. There was like a TikTok video and it was like, oh my gosh, I got all these free things.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I was like, ooh, let me sign up for stuff and just see what comes out. And then I kept getting them and then I got really annoyed that I signed up for so many things. You got the free Zah, though. I did get a free pizza.
Starting point is 00:51:56 I haven't remember where it's from. Okay, we had listener, Krista and Nicholas in, which was really awesome. They were really cool. We're going to end this with something. The last time you did something just for yourself, Ray? Golf? Are you kidding me? Is that, is that like every weekend thing? I try to, but we've been busy with the house.
Starting point is 00:52:17 But yeah, I'll go golf and I'll, a couple beers, 18 holes, a golf cartman, it's like $60. That's just me, just blowing money. Does Bay not want to come? come along and drink with you? She will, but it's got to be the perfect weather. Sometimes with the hundreds, that's miserable. Yeah. But she plays a little bit.
Starting point is 00:52:37 She does? Yeah, and she enjoys. She'll have a couple drinks. She's done it before, but. She doesn't love it as much as you do. She doesn't love it as much as me, and it's long. Let's be real. It's a little laborious.
Starting point is 00:52:47 If you're not a golfer, I mean, she's out there for four hours. I was going to say, how long does it take for you complete, like a full, what is it? Nine. Nine holes, two hours, 18 holes, get ready four to four and a half hours. And you don't ever get bored? No, it's awesome because the feel, when you hit that golf ball with the club, like the sweet spot, it's best feeling you'll ever feel in your life. I don't know if I will feel that way, but I'll just take your word for that one.
Starting point is 00:53:14 But yeah, that's all for me. I'm like, oh, I just blew a lot of money. Oh, it was just me playing golf. Do you ever buy like specialty golf balls? I mean, yeah, we'll do the pro-bee ones, the best ones. Oh, I don't know what that means. I just meant like you buy blue ones. Well, we had the ProV-1s at the house.
Starting point is 00:53:30 The cat batted it around. Lost one of them. I was like, those balls are $10 a piece. The cat goes or something has to happen. You don't mean it. No, but the cat did lose one of my ProV-1 balls. You got mad? Yes.
Starting point is 00:53:43 You had your first Cat-Dad mad moment? No, I love that thing. Who is emailing me right now? Did you hear that? I need this right now. No, you don't. Oh, my goodness. Well, my last time I did something for myself, I took myself on a really high
Starting point is 00:53:58 fancy date. Wow. Mm-hmm. I went and had Italian. Mm-hmm. I ate some pasta at the bar. I had a whole basket full of bread to myself. Italian.
Starting point is 00:54:09 Italian. Mm-hmm. And I was all dressed up. But the night ended, I was really friendly with everybody at the bar because I was just having myself a little time. They had my favorite wine. Like I was, which is Bagario, by the way, if you ever get a chance. My older sister calls it pink panty dropper.
Starting point is 00:54:25 I don't know why. Interesting. It's because it tastes like juice. so good, but it's Begario. Okay. And I had the best time. I didn't really think I was going to have fun. I was a little nervous, like going to restaurant by myself, but I have fun.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Yeah, there's some people get weird out by that. When I was single, I did. Sure as hell did. Yeah, and it was like, it doesn't feel as awkward as like when you first get there. At first you're like, okay, this is weird. Then you sit down and you're like, you're good. Who cares? I can't, now that I think of it, yeah, I would bet on sports.
Starting point is 00:54:56 I would have a couple drinks. It would be a school night. I didn't go crap. I'd have a good dinner. You're talking with the bartender. There's no pressure. You're not hitting on or talking. I'm by myself. Nobody cares. It was a great time. But it is awesome now having a wife. You can have side conversations. Yeah, that's true, which I did have a side conversation with a couple next to me who I am pretty sure wanted me to hang out with them after. Baller. I did not. Hey, yo. But I got vibes. Nice. Yeah. It was an interesting. scenario that I also was not anticipating from said evening out.
Starting point is 00:55:30 That a girl. Bring the Bagario. Yeah, they were having a great time. But it did not happen, obviously. I went home, life was good. Well, I went back to my hotel room. This was in Vegas. Okay. And I went back to my hotel room.
Starting point is 00:55:43 I was like, try to pieces together. Like, were you in our neighborhood? I mean, you dressed up and what Italian place is in our neighborhood? No, no, no. No, this was in Vegas. At the really fancy place, Carbone. Okay. And I like barely got in.
Starting point is 00:55:56 It was great. It looks like a little night. Yeah, that is awesome. I was proud of myself. I would have missed out on really good Italian food. Lunch's wife had to do the same thing at one of the restaurants in Vegas. She had to go eat kind of by herself because otherwise you're not getting a reservation or whatever. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:09 See, sometimes you got to do what you got to do. So this is encouragement to go golf, go eat by yourself. And the golfing at times is by myself and they do frown upon that. And I say, F off. My friends have jobs. Okay, so don't golf by yourself. No, they always like, look at you weird. What?
Starting point is 00:56:28 Party for one? I'm like, yeah, my friends have jobs. I'm sorry, I have a weird third hour shift. Third shift. Like, I'm just trying to live my life. Yeah, screw you. Oh, my goodness. Okay, well, we got to go move on to some questions.
Starting point is 00:56:39 So, Ray, tell the people where they can find you here, all that good stuff in case this is all they listen to. Cizzen Raimundo, Instagram and Twitter, X, excuse me.
