On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are geniuses. We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand. Better version of Play Stupid Games Win Stupid Prizes.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. But hey, no one's perfect. We're pretty close, though. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show
Starting point is 00:01:40 on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's the best bits of the week with Morgan number two. What's up, everybody? Excited to have another best bits this weekend with y'all. but this weekend I am joined by none other than Reimundo. What's up you? How you feeling this weekend, Ray?
Starting point is 00:02:05 Pretty good at summertime. That's you and me's time, right? Yeah, this is like meaning we go party and have a good time. Well, and we both seem to like beaches, lakes, I mean, water. I mean, you know, I just like anything that's a good time besides like sitting inside. Seltzers. Seltzers, that is true.
Starting point is 00:02:23 Listen, if I could be on a lake and on a boat every weekend, I totally would. Okay. Maybe I just see your pictures, and I know my life is pool, not really lake as much as you are, but I go pool. I like to take vacations, the Pacific Atlantic. So I know that's me. And then I see your Instagram that's similar to me. So I feel that we're both water-type people summer.
Starting point is 00:02:43 We're just the good vibes, people, right? Yeah. Yeah, that's what it is. So, yeah, we are rocking and roll in summertime. We got a lot to talk about those. Are you ready for this? Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:53 We're diving into Lunchbox's stocks, though. it's technically lunchbox Bobby and Amy's stocks, but we got an update. But, you know, let's be real here. You were like the first one to talk about stocks and like go in on buying stocks and stuff. And then I came up behind you doing like figuratively by the way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Doing stocks and buying stocks getting super invested into stocks. So I want to talk about like some stocks that we've got invested in because I feel like it might be a little bit more mature conversation than when lunchbox talks about. them. Yeah, I'm more of a cryptocurrency guy and that sounds stupid in this economy in this economy because it tanked. You had all those ones, the one dude that went to the Bahamas, he was a crook, the Binance, that website, Coinbase, all of them are struggling right now. But Ether and Bitcoin are the two biggest ones. Okay, so what? Can you answer me this? Because listen, I was listening to all you guys and you guys were going on about this cryptocurrency and I had nothing crazy,
Starting point is 00:03:53 but I put like $100 into Dogecoin and still sitting there. I just haven't touched it, which is what I do with stocks. I just put it there and don't think about it. So that one went up to 70 cents, then tanked. You really should have sold that week that it blew up. And Abby, too, she would have made thousands of dollars. Should have coulda wooded. Nobody did.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Do you think it's ever going to go back up again? No, because that one, there was ended up being all kind. Even Dave Portnoy put out there. He goes, I'm going to go with this, whatever he went with, some dog. Or is Dogecoin, the dog one. Yeah, that's the dog one. There was about 10 of them that were all these blank coin, blank coin. Those all went away.
Starting point is 00:04:24 So really the big players are Ethereum and in the Coinbase app. It's Ethereum is the big one and then also Bitcoin. Ethereum, when I told the show to buy it, it was $200. It's now $1,800. And it seems like it's going to hover right around there. That's not the one you want to buy. The one you want to buy that's the most volatile is Bitcoin because Bitcoin used to be right around $1,000. When it was 2018, it was around $1,000.
Starting point is 00:04:51 Okay, but let me tell you how much it is to just buy one thing of Bitcoin right now. Now $28,000. $30,000. Right. It went up to $70,000 and now it's dropped to $30. If, by chance, it drops into the $5,000, $6,000, that range, buy it because they say it's going to go to $100,000 at some point down the road. Right now, no, five years, eh, but I'm just telling you, that's my stock tip.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Okay, but everybody told me that about Dogecoin, and that one just freaking died. But I'm telling you, those are diers. Those aren't the big players in the Ethereum, in the. Bit is Ethereum and Bitcoin. In the- Ethereum is 1800 for one stock right now. So that's definitely more doable than Bitcoin. My only two cents on that is it seems other places are starting to do Ethereum
Starting point is 00:05:35 where you can pay for it in other countries. I saw that. Bitcoin, they're now having kiosks. You'll probably see it. You can go to one of your gas stations. There'll be a Bitcoin machine. I know they have it on West End on one of them. So you're going to start to be able to pay with Bitcoin and Ether and which is what
Starting point is 00:05:49 will keep it around. All that other crap, you could never pay for it. That's why it died. Okay. So you're telling me, though, with crypto, I just need to get rid of it. Well, it's not crypto. Sorry, Dogecoin.
Starting point is 00:05:58 I just need to get rid of it. Yeah, it's done so. Like there's no chance that this could at least make a little bit come back. Zero percent chance. If I'm wrong, I will come to work on my knees. I will have a $20 bill and I will have it on your desk for you because I was wrong. Okay. So that's a win-win situation.
Starting point is 00:06:16 You can't lose there. Yeah. I mean, I didn't put a lot of stock into it. I just put 100 bucks to be like, okay, let's see what happens. Thanks for tuning in to Wall Street Radio. But I want to talk about some regular ones. It's not just crypto. So you don't invest in any of like the regular stocks.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Those are my expertise. No, I've not invested in that. Well, I have a really good, good one for you, okay? Go. It's either Devon or Devon energy. I don't know where it's at, but it has a 10%, 10.34 dividend yield, which means you get a decent back from it if you invest in it in a while. Whereas like I get some from Apple and stuff and they're like a dollar or whatever,
Starting point is 00:06:52 but 10% is nuts for a. dividend yield. So you've already had it? Yes. Well, I just bought it because it's low right now, and it's one that over five years looks awesome, like has been over the course of five years, keeps going up. And it's only 47 bucks right now for one share. So it's like one you can get into like ground level. It's like an energy company. And so it's still on the newer side of things. They work in production of oil and natural gas properties. But like that dividend yield is nice. Let me tell you this. Here's something.
Starting point is 00:07:24 This is amazing advice. I've tried to pitch it on the big show. We've talked about it on Soar Losers podcast. So what you're saying? This is a rejected, rejected segment. Yes. This has been rejected multiple times. But if you have $10,000 sitting around, there's a website.
Starting point is 00:07:38 This is a U.S. government website. It's treasury direct.gov. And you can give the government $10,000. And in six months, they'll give you $500. But they're just going to use your money. And to them, it's worth it to give you $5,000. And then after another six months, they'll give you another 500. So the most you can make is $1,000.
Starting point is 00:07:58 But you just have to give the government $10,000 to use and spend and however. And I'm assuming you can't touch that money. No, it's just there. So if you have it sitting around, most people don't. So don't even listen to what I just said. But if you do, that's something. Isn't that, I mean, similar to getting into like. It's a bond.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Yeah. Okay. I couldn't remember the name of it. But, okay, that's a good idea. that's like an official one too it's at least like it's more sustainable than like stocks that we're talking about stocks are more risky you don't know what's going to happen correct that you know what's going to happen you'll at least make a thousand dollars on the 10 10000 that you have sitting around doing nothing exactly and it's more than you're going to make in a savings account yeah I like it Ray and Morgan tax radio we'll be right back listen I've done a whole lot of research I'm trying to be really good at like investing and understanding money I'm trying to make my own bag you know I'm not trying to to depend on somebody else. I was fumbling the bag for many years, so I'm also trying to make my bag.
Starting point is 00:08:56 See? So you're trying to do it. This is where we're at. But the one that I'm talking to you about, so on Robin Hood, you can see what analysts say, and 55% of analysts say to buy Devon Energy right now. Okay. So it's a solid one. Good advice. Yeah. And of course, like the other ones are really good. I got into Yum, which, you know, I'm always that.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Is that because you eat all? their products. So I was like, well, I'm investing into it. So might as well spend the money. I also invested into Walmart, which was a really solid one. I didn't really anticipate that, but Walmart's been a good one.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Hopefully not bed bath and beyond. No, I didn't get into bed bath and beyond. Dig it into meta and Amazon. These are like the like staples. They kind of count on Apple, Disney, Amazon, meta. But I got into those like all of these when it was, remember like a couple
Starting point is 00:09:49 months ago when everything basically dropped and it was real crap. Is that when also cryptocurrency crashed? I think so. It was basically when everybody was saying, oh, we're about to have another stock market crash. I was like, well, I could just buy a bunch of stuff right now and just say, hey, let's go. I did that when that was all down. So now all of these are like in the 200, 300 and 300 and I bought them for like 50 bucks. That's awesome. So like I'm crushing my stock game right now. Good job. All from research. Just learning. Nobody's taught me anything. But this is just like my money that I need to do something with so it's making money,
Starting point is 00:10:21 but I don't need it right now. But you can YouTube too. There's a lot of stuff on there. Right? Yeah. Okay. So you're into the cryptocurrency. I gave us a good stock.
Starting point is 00:10:28 I'm not. I mean, I give the advice, but I mean, I'm waiting. I'm waiting because I've seen what it does and I know the path. Well, and let me make this point, though. Lunchbox always says on it. He's like, well, Morgan told me to talk to friends. What I said that started this whole stock thing was, hey, you should definitely talk to your friends because it gives you.
Starting point is 00:10:45 more information. Don't just jump off a bridge if your friends says to jump off a bridge. But like if you talk to people and see what they invest in and they've had a good experience with something or this has happened for them, then you have information to go off of. If you're just on Robin Hood, buying stocks and hanging out. Agreed. But like if you're just doing it willy-nilly and you're paying attention to things, you may not understand what's happening. Your friends can at least give you some more information. Thank you, Dave Ramsey. That's what I said. Not Morgan told me to hang out of my friends, which is what he says every time.
Starting point is 00:11:14 There are, what would you like to call it, Ray? Ray and Morgan, stock update. Ray and Morgan tried to get you the bag. Oh, yeah, do it. Okay, we do it in an announcer voice. Ray and Morgan, get you the bag. This is great. I love it.
Starting point is 00:11:30 There's a hard statement to help you make some money. Okay, we did do a pick a bit this week and y'all heard all about my future husband. Do you think it's real, Ray? Do you believe in psychics? I mean, I wasn't sitting in on the Zoom. that you did with the psychic, however official that is, usually I'd like to have you in the same room, so they're really able to feel vibes. That's true.
Starting point is 00:11:52 She's been pretty right on bone stuff, so yeah, I would agree. It's going to be in the fall. You're going to meet some football guy. He lives in the country. You think it's a football guy? You threw that one in on by yourself. I'm not, I'm talking, probably plays football. I know, but you threw in that.
Starting point is 00:12:04 She didn't say football. You were throwing in that he's a football player. I just don't know where that came from. I didn't even take her advice. I just went with what I was thinking. He is tall, dark, and handsome. I feel like you and Morgan number one are looking for the same guy. Country boy.
Starting point is 00:12:19 No. Oh. No, but you know what? Because I'm not really looking for a big hunter. She likes that. You know what's funny is I've sent her. And literally this happened. I matched with a guy on Hinge,
Starting point is 00:12:30 but I only match because I was like, this is a perfect match for Morgan number one. So my first message to him was, hey, can I set you up with my friend? And he goes, yeah. What about both you? He was kind of taken it back, but I was like, listen. Like, I'm not big into you killing all the animals, but my girlfriend really likes this stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:47 She randomly does. Never knew that about her. Well, yeah, she's gotten into it in the last few years. And so I, like, connected them. They talked a little bit. I don't know if anything ended up panning out, but so we do have a similar type, but she's definitely leans more country boy. Yeah, we don't need to know the nitty-gritty details.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah, no, I was just giving, you know, the breakdown a little bit more. So just the same guy. But that did happen. That was a true story. and I still do it sometimes for my friends, which as a guy, would you be offended by that if you match with a girl? And then she's like, hey, let me set you up with my friend. No, that'd be cool.
Starting point is 00:13:20 But only girls would do that. Dudes would never do it. That's true. Why can't y'all do it? My buddy says that all the time about me. Hey, how can you never told me about Morgan? Hey, how come you never told me about it? I'm like, dude, guys don't match make.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Why? Because y'all are bad at it? We just don't do it because guys are don't care. Guys are good friends in the camaraderie being bros. giving daps, but they're not emotionally trying to connect you with your soulmate. Guys don't think like that. Dang. That's probably why I haven't met my future husband yet, right?
Starting point is 00:13:51 I didn't explain it to Justin like that, but I go, dude, I'm not looking out for your blank. Oh, God. Okay. That was definitely more bro talk that I did not need. Oh, God. Okay. Well, yes, that happened. Y'all heard about my future husband.
Starting point is 00:14:06 I want to ask you some fun, random questions. Ray, you ready? Yeah, if they're fun. They're not fun. I just say that. What's the funniest animal you have ever owned as a pet? I've only owned fish, cat, dog. We were going to try for a chinchilla.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Oh, that would be cool. We kind of pet store owned it, where we would go in the pet store and look at it and act like we owned it. So I would say chinchilla. I think they're just hilarious. They're not a hamster, so they're bigger. They have a little bit. They're more of a pet, I would say, but I'd say chinchilla. So that was your fantasy funniest pet you've ever owned because you didn't actually get one.
Starting point is 00:14:41 We went in several times with the intention of getting a chinchilla, but never did. But I would say, give me the chinchilly. Okay. If we're going on the fantasy animals that I almost got, it was a sugar glider. You know the sugar gliders? Like the flying squirrels? Wow. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:14:55 I loved them. I probably got some a couple on my, right off my balcony. No, they're more than like what regular squirrels are. They're like nocturnal and stuff. But we saw one. I played in a volleyball tournament and a girl brought hers with her and it was just sleeping in her hoodie the whole time. And then when it finally came out,
Starting point is 00:15:10 started flying across all the courts. It was awesome. Awesome. So cool. And they're like, they're teeny tiny. If you look at a sugar ladder, they're so cute.
Starting point is 00:15:17 And they have these little bat wings almost. And they just fly. I'm getting you that for Christmas. That's my fantasy one. But the legit one we did have was a ferret. Oh, wow. That was a crazy experience.
Starting point is 00:15:29 My parents would never allow it. So I'm really just dogs and cats. So I don't have an answer. You had fish, though, too. Barely. If we did, it was a week. And it was probably a science thing or something. You want to know something that's funny is I always made my
Starting point is 00:15:40 dad, like, you know how most people like flush them down the toilet? I always made my dad bury all my fish. So there's a graveyard of beta fish in the backyard of our old house. You got to have the funeral. Yeah, I always had to have funerals. I couldn't just like, you see in the movies really like flush. I just couldn't. I had to bury them. No, I mean, but that's like a legit goodbye. That's awesome that pops would do that for you. Did you bury your fish or did you flush them? Uh, I'm telling you, it was such a figment of my imagination. I really don't know. Dang. The cats and dogs, yes, we We bury them on our property. Okay, but you don't remember about the fishy.
Starting point is 00:16:14 Uh, or maybe it was a kid we were babysitting. Like my parents, we had foster kids. So maybe it was theirs. Sometimes we just had people live with us for a couple weeks, like from church. So maybe it was their fish and then they took it with them. It does kind of sound like you're going through like a fever dream. What do you mean? The way that you're like remembering it is like a fever dream.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Well, because you ask me some obscure thing. What's the most random pet that you love that is weird and quirky? animals. I remember all my animals from growing up. I know, but I don't have an exotic animal. I know. You just never know without asking the question. It'd be like, hey, what's the name? What's the most exotic girl you've ever dated? I don't know. I couldn't ask that, but I didn't. Okay? I was asking about animals. On time I dated a brunette. All right. Well, you know what? I had one and it was a ferret. Did you know, like people had hamsters and guinea pigs. I had a rabbit growing up. We had a turtle.
Starting point is 00:17:07 My parents would have never let that fly. Pops is not letting a ferret in that. house. Yeah, it was wild. They would run through everything and we had a little like maze that we created for it. And then when we had a rabbit and a turtle at the same time, we'd have the rabbit and the hair races. That's cool. Who won? Duh. The rabbit. But yeah, the rabbit always like jumped somewhere else. That's what I'm saying. The rabbit ends up running into trouble later on and the tortoise wins because it's all about being slow and steady. That's true. What about in real life? I mean, it was pretty similar. Like the turtle would win because it would stay on the path, but like the rabbit was faster, but it would just go all over the place.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Just like the cartoon. Yeah, it was awesome. But yeah, we had a lot of animals and I know a lot of people have like obscure animals when they're kids. Wichita. We're not all from there. Country folk. All right.
Starting point is 00:17:54 What totally crazy expression did you overuse in high school? Like in all of my photos that I'm looking back on, I'm sticking out my tongue and I'm doing the P sign. So what expression from like that time did you use a lot? And you're like, dang, I should. probably cool. Cool. You always said cool a lot.
Starting point is 00:18:13 Say cool a lot. And I probably said like, like, like all the time. Yeah, that's true. I always say girls were hot. Oh, she's so hot. Yeah, she's hot. I always said hot. You basically sound like the very stereotypical jock from high school.
Starting point is 00:18:30 Now they have more ways of saying they'll say, oh, a girl's a smoke show. Oh, she's a 10. Oh, that girl's keeping it 100. There's other ways to say it back then. Oh, yeah, she's hot, dude. Oh, it's so hot. Oh, she's hot. You're such a bro, Ray. That's the vibes I'm getting. Oh, man. What was your favorite Halloween costume you wore as a kid? I was a dinosaur. My mom made it for me the night before, and she stayed up until the entire night. She didn't sleep at all. And I woke up and she's like, ta-da, here's your dinosaur costume. I put it on warded school. And we walked. You, like, kind of showed it off to the school. It was the coolest Halloween ever. What color was the dinosaur? It was the mascot of the Rockies.
Starting point is 00:19:12 Oh, I thought you were about to say you were Barney. No, no, no, no. Their mascot was the Dinger. It's a dinosaur. And so I was Dinger. Dinger, the Dinosaur? Yeah. Came up with that name.
Starting point is 00:19:22 I don't know. But never would have pulled it off without moms. Shout out. Thanks for that. Dang. So she was like one of those cool moms that you see on TikTok now where they come up with a really cool costume. Well, we didn't have like malls and stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:33 So she had to sew the whole thing. She put it together the night before. Dang. Mm-hmm. You have pictures of you in Dinger? I'd have to ask my mom for it. She's going to get in some old photo album and it's probably not going to be as cool as I imagine
Starting point is 00:19:45 it and I'm going to look real bad. It is probably really cool though. I mean, think about it though. She put that together just on her own so it is probably cool. Yeah, no, it was. It was awesome. Ironically, I was going to say Barney.
Starting point is 00:19:56 I dressed up as Barney. Which was also a purple dinosaur. But his name was not Dingerer as Barney. Dang, we were dinosaur Twinsies. We were. I loved it, though. It had this massive head. I looked like just this little teeny tiny human and this massive dinosaur costume.
Starting point is 00:20:13 I can see that. Yeah, that was a cool one. Store bought, though. Definitely store bought. Mom and dad didn't make that. I went through too many, like, moments where I was like, I want to be this, I want to be that. And so they're like, okay, you're being freaking Barney. Yeah, I was sewing.
Starting point is 00:20:25 You can't switch it up. Yeah, no. I was a little indecisive as a kid. No. No? I'm like, no. Hey, when you're a kid, you don't know what you want, okay? I'm trying to figure it out.
Starting point is 00:20:36 What band would you be embarrassed? or artist or celebrity to admit that you were like really into or still listen to today? At the time, Sugar Ray, I think I honestly was only a fan of them because they had my name and their band, Sugar Ray. And that's why you loved them. Can you even name a Sugar Ray song? Fly. That one was popular. Is that still fly like a white guy? Is that a different one? I couldn't even sing it right now, but that's their hit. I'm literally thinking fly as a white guy. What is that song? You're talking, you act like I'm bones and Eddie.
Starting point is 00:21:08 They're the experts in music. There's no way I'm able to come up with the answer. I know, but this feels like a song, bro Ray. No, no, no. You are the sound guy, though, in all fairness. Yeah, so I know a little bit here and there, but do not know the answer to your question. But Sugar Ray was your damn.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Do you still listen to them? If they come on, but I'm embarrassed by them because I think I was honestly only a fan as a kid because I even got a shirt and it said Sugar Ray, probably just because I'd have my name in it. I'm trying to think of their, I mean, so did you like, like Ray La Montane or No, it's Ray Charles.
Starting point is 00:21:40 Sugar Ray was huge when we were kids. I know, I'm just seen if there's any others. My name was in it. It just all went together. But just Sugar Ray. Yeah, yeah. Okay. I think they also played songs that were like in hit movies at the time.
Starting point is 00:21:53 If I remember correctly. I feel like mine's Tech Nine. I still listen to them. Have you ever heard of Tech Nine? I probably got a clip. Can I do a quick one? I would be careful because most of it has a lot of cuss words. Well, it's all edited, though.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Okay, just make sure it's on a clean version. before you play anything. But yeah, I'm a big Tech 9 fan and they're from Kansas City. They did that song with the rock and I love that song. It's still on my workout playlist. Is it T-C-K
Starting point is 00:22:18 the number 9? It's N-9 N-E. Well, that's never going to get found. Yeah, like in the number 9 and then N-E. So like Tech 9. Wow.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Yeah. They're like hardcore rap, rock almost, like a little bit screamo. Yeah, I don't think it's happening. Yeah, no, I mean, it is hard to find a clean song of Tech Nine. But it's like always on my workout playlist and I still listen to them. But you just would not expect it to be coming through my AirPods.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Can people hear outside of your AirPods or it's just you? I hope not. I mean, it's pretty loud. I hope not. But like if they ever, if somebody ever picks up my iPod and put in their ear, they'd be like, what is this girl listening to? I think that's for most people. I mean, sometimes some of the music, I would be embarrassed if other people knew I was listening to that. If it's a chick song, that one, it's good for you.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Maybe Rodrigo? That would be embarrassing. Same type of thing. Well, that's how I feel tech nine. Like somebody just look and be like, I did not expect that to come out of that. But the rock song, so good. Okay. Do you know what song I'm talking about?
Starting point is 00:23:21 No. They released it like, I don't know, year and a half ago. And it was with the rock. And it's Tech Nine that is on it. It's his like big workout song. And it is my favorite. It's at the top of my workout playlist. Consider it added.
Starting point is 00:23:32 You guys should add it too. I to i heart. On the I heart playlist. On our mood board, mood playlists. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come. Look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Readers, Katie's finalists, publicists. We have an incredible new episode this week for you guys. We have our girl Hillary Duff in here, and we can't wait for you to hear this episode. They put on Lizzie McGuire 2 a.m. Video on Demand, this guy's. 2 a.m.
Starting point is 00:25:00 Lizzie McGuire. And I'm like, a wild batch you were with. It was like a first, like, closet moment from me where I was like, I don't feel like she's hot, like the rest of them. No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful. But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are.
Starting point is 00:25:14 I'm not like, but listen to Los Angeles on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or whatever you get your podcast. If you are a founder or a freelancer or the friend who always says, hey, you know what, what if I started that? This is for you. I'm telling you I had nothing to my name. I didn't know a single person in New York. And somehow I'm dressed by Oscar de Laurenta walking down that red carpet.
Starting point is 00:25:40 This month, we sit down with entrepreneurs and creators who actually did it, who turned the scary leap into a business, a paycheck, and a life they are proud of. Direct center of our happiness or our regrets is whether or not we're taking action on the things that matter to us. They're not selfish. They're so important. They actually lead to our greatest contributions because when we're living, fulfilled, we actually show up better everywhere. We lead better. We're better friends.
Starting point is 00:26:06 for better relationships and collaborators and all those things because we have passion about the things we're doing. If you're trying to build something of your own this year, join us in these conversations that will make you braver and smarter with your money. Listen to Dos Amigos as part of the Michael Tutta podcast network available on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:26:24 or wherever you get your podcast. We've been doing a new bit lately where Scuba Steve suggests something and he was asking the show the last time they cried. Do you remember the last time you? cried, right? I hate to bring the show down on this weekend where we're all partying and drinking and going to the beach, but it would have to be the death of Pablo. That was pretty sad. I mean,
Starting point is 00:26:47 I think I went two weeks straight crying like every day. Yeah. I know. That is true. That was understandable. And if you still cried over that, I would also still understand. So yeah, for me, that was it. Just because it was so sudden, but then it wasn't. And just like anything, sometimes with animals and people, they start to get better where you think then they're good and then they get bad again. So you go through, I mean, it's just months of them being bad health. So it's not just sometimes it's like, oh, if it was sudden, would that be different? Or if it's slowly two months of being sad.
Starting point is 00:27:17 But I was sad for way too long. Pablo would not want that. Slash Scully. Same cat, two names. Yeah, he had a lot of names. But he had a great life. Great life. We got him into the penthouse.
Starting point is 00:27:29 He was chilling in the nicest apartment in the complex for four years. Yeah, he was living it up. I mean, I could have been a homeless dad and he'd have been under a bridge, but instead we got him in the penthouse. I don't think Laura would have let that happen. Okay, we'll grow with it. The finest treats. I'll put us on like a little bit higher. This is still the last time that I cried, but I was at the gym, actually.
Starting point is 00:27:53 Don't ask me. I don't know if I was just exerting so much energy that it just kind of like came out. You know what he just like literally like Luke Colm song says when it rains at Ports? It had been one of those months. Yes. And I went to the gym and I was like working out really hard. And it's like I just hit one more rep and it just like the tears started flowing. I was like, well, that was weird.
Starting point is 00:28:12 Preach. You know? It was just like it came out of my body. Didn't expect it. It wasn't ready for it. I was in a public space and I'm just sitting there crying while sitting on like a little machine at the gym. Was it because of the relationships in the past? No.
Starting point is 00:28:27 It was, I mean, it was related more to the fact, not about that relationship in particular, but like that I was alone. I was going through a lot by myself. It was more of the loneliness side of it than like the relationship that I was sat over. Was there anybody there that you know? No. Okay. Thank gosh, no.
Starting point is 00:28:46 But I do see some of those people like they are regulars there that I run into. And I have to sit here like crying like sitting on. You know what machine I'm talking about where you do the leg curls? Oh, I thought we were talking about the boxing gym. Oh, no. I thought it was the one you took me to. Hey, you liked that guy. I did.
Starting point is 00:29:01 It was fun. No, I was not boxing. This, I was doing lake curls when this happened. And I was just sitting on the leg curl machine and there's just tears coming down my face. Quantum. Not quantum. No one that I don't like. No, I was at Planet Fitness.
Starting point is 00:29:14 Red flag gym. Red flag gym. Just chilling at Planet Fitness. And yeah, I was having a moment. I had to sit there for a little bit and kind of like let it out before I like continued on my way. Don't they have pizza there? Maybe that's the time to go hit up some carbs. They do.
Starting point is 00:29:28 They do like Tuesday like pizza day. I've never been though. They also do a donut day too. It's awesome. Yeah. But I've never been. Maybe that's how I meet my future husband. I start going to donut day.
Starting point is 00:29:38 But yeah, the last time we cried. We're going to move on though. That's the only sad thing we'll talk about today, Ray, okay? Yeah, and hopefully you guys aren't crying in your cars. You've got places to go. Yeah, we don't want that. What is something you still do, even though you've been warned multiple times not to do it? And let me tell you why I'm asking you this question.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Because I still use Q-tips. I love them. I can't help cleaning my ears of Q-Tos. It makes me feel so much better. And I know that I'm not supposed to. I know it is all over the internet. I know doctors warn you not to use it, but I cannot help it. So that is why I'm bringing this to the forefront.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Is there anything that you have? I think mine is ice cream. For some reason, it triggers my allergies. I think I might be allergic to something. You think you lactose intolerant? I think so because I don't ever eat cereal anymore. I never drink milk. I randomly drank milk about a month ago and got so sick.
Starting point is 00:30:27 And is it the milk? I don't know. Is it this crazy virus that's been going around America? Maybe it was that. America. You mean around our studio? Yes. And with ice cream, I've noticed if I eat a significant amount, it's not like stomach ache, but it's something in my nose. It's almost my allergy. So I really do believe that I'm allergic to milkshakes, Baskin-Robbins, et cetera. But it wasn't not specifically though. You're allergic to dairy.
Starting point is 00:30:52 But let me say this, I still go. I've been warned, but I still go. That's true. I think you can also take like lactose intolerant pills if you really wanted to. No. I eat ice cream. It's not like, that's the thing. I've learned I can wean myself off of it. I'm not going as free. It's not like I'm rocking a milkshake every night. But on a Friday night, you know, there ain't nothing going on.
Starting point is 00:31:11 It's a summer night. I'm going to do a milkshake. I don't care if my nose feels weird. It's just your nose, though. You don't have any other, like, responses to dairy? No, I really do. For some, it might, like, get all stuffed up. It's something, yes, I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:31:26 I'm not a doctor. Doctors probably can't even explain it. I've had tests run. I don't know what it is. Well, you know, No, Ray, I've had an allergy. I don't know if you happen to see it on my Instagram, but I posted and I had huge lips. I've been having, like, something's been blowing up my lips.
Starting point is 00:31:40 And people kept telling me that you can develop allergies like every seven years. Some people would think that's a good thing. I don't feel like it is. I don't like it, you know? I don't know about you, but I don't like having a random allergy pop out of nowhere. Then I need an epipin that I don't have. No, I'm saying the thick lips. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:56 That was nice. I don't have to pay for them. You know, they're just there. But it did feel really weird. Like my mouth would be like totally slow and I'm like feeling the veins in my my mouth, which is a weird feeling. But I think I found the root cause of that allergy and it was not food. I thought it was. I thought it was. It's my mouth guard.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Really? So I had to start wearing a mouth guard a few months ago after I got done with my Envisaline because I have like some TMJ. I grind my teeth that night. Too much jelly. Too much jelly. Yeah. Let's roll with that. That's what that is.
Starting point is 00:32:30 I don't know what the actual. thing. All I know is it's a jaw thing and my jaw pops out every so often. It's not painful for me, but it gets painful as you get older. And so they're like, okay, well, to prevent this, let's put you in a mouth guard. And it's just like a thicker retainer essentially. And yeah, I started wearing it. And I can really, as soon as I stopped wearing it to see if that's what it was, no more big lips. That a girl. But isn't that a weird allergy? Like a mouth guard caused a blow up of your mouth. Yeah, yeah. Most people are pretty normal and that does not happen. Me, milkshake, you mouthguard.
Starting point is 00:33:00 We're killing it. All the Ms. Oh, well, yeah. You got anything else for that question? I just had Q-tips. Do you use Q-tips? No, no, no, no, I can't. I go get my ears blown out every six months. Oh, yeah, I remember that.
Starting point is 00:33:15 But you just started doing that after this last time, right? That was the first time. Yeah, I've gotten away from that, so I kind of just, you get like a little piece of paper towel and you clean it. You're not supposed to jam a Q-tip in there. Okay, but what's different about using a paper towel? It's more, it's not as into your ear. What ear drum and you're dealing with all those.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Okay, but do you feel like your ears get clean? Because when I tried that, I did that for like a week because you're not supposed to do this. And I didn't feel like my ears were getting clean. I just couldn't do Q-tips because it really did feel like wax was getting pushed back there, not to gross you people out. And I was affecting my hearing. I just had to give up Q-tips for good. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:52 Well, I'm not going to. Okay. We'll clean your ears out now with paper towels, report back to us. I'll try. I don't think it's going to work, but I will try for you. All right. All Amy all the time happened. She shared a lot of life updates after she was out for a little bit from the virus that was going around America, as Ray said.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Have you been watching anything recently that you really liked? What have we been rocking? Vanderpump Rules. They did the reunion, all that. How was the reunion? Did you like it? Did it help you put a bow on everything? Definitely a bow.
Starting point is 00:34:19 You see a lot of it on Twitter. And it was three weeks long. Bravo did their job. Well did their program. Bravo said you're going to give us tea. We are going to soak this in. They spilled the tea for an entire month. month. And what a Bravo below deck. So we're basically Bravo train right now. And you guys,
Starting point is 00:34:36 you're always the Bravo train. Yeah. I need you to come in with just like one thing, right? Do you watch movies ever? Uh, there hasn't been a good one on. I mean, tell me some blockbuster where Sandra Bullock's in it and it's called Bird Box or something. And I'll watch it. But there hasn't been one. Well, there is a, I was going to watch both of them because I haven't seen the first one yet, but there's an extraction two now. Chris Hemsworth on Netflix. Well, I missed one. I was going to watch them both because if there's a two,
Starting point is 00:35:04 that means the first one had to be good, right? Pretty solid chance. Fine. Let's ask movie Mike. But yeah, no, I have a good show. Did you like Grease? The movie Grease. Yeah, no. No, not a big musical fan?
Starting point is 00:35:19 A hard pass. Well, I never know. It could be one of your things that you're like sneaky. Like, yeah, like I'm just not going to tell you. Thanks for bringing me something I'm really going to love. The people will like. this because if you are a Greece fan and most people were it was a massive movie there's a show called The Rise of the Pink Ladies on Paramount Plus and it's all about the pink ladies from Greece
Starting point is 00:35:38 and it was so good it has like great scores on rotten tomatoes and I loved every minute of it it was just one season there's like 10 episodes and it was awesome it gave me like a lot of nostalgic it related a lot to grease they made like you know hints at grease and they talked about some iconic things from it. And of course the pink ladies are involved. Yes. But it was good. Yes. But this one you will personally like. Okay. I'll tell my wife about it and see if she's down. Usually she chooses the movies and shows. We actually just got off a kick, New Girl. You just finished New Girl for the first time? Yeah. She had never seen it. I believe for the last month she was watching it. Speaking of the devil, she's calling me, she can't do without me. And so yeah,
Starting point is 00:36:20 we watched New Girl. It's Jess. And we loved it. It was very funny. You did love it? It's one of my favorite shows. This is definitely like top five favorite shows of all time for me. And you always are worried if the ending's gonna be good. It was. Yeah, they had a good ending. They put a nice bow on it, wrapped it up. It's one of the ones now you can throw it on any time
Starting point is 00:36:37 and it's just on in the background. It's a good show for that too. So it was a solid month with that one. What would you rate it? Four downtown apartments out of five. That's solid. I'll like it. There's a lot of season too.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Okay. I'd give the rise of the pink ladies four out of five jackets. It's a solid one. so Laura would like that one if she likes Greece. I'll get it cleared by her. Do that. But this one you both would like and it's Citadel on Amazon. And you know who Priyanka Troprin is?
Starting point is 00:37:06 Yes, yes. She's in it. Please call it Prime. It is on Prime. It is on Prime. But what do you mean? Please call It Prime. I thought Amazon's called Prime.
Starting point is 00:37:15 I think it's called Amazon Prime. Because I have the app. Does it just say Prime? The app, so I thought that's what their new name. Oh, it says Video Prime. Dang it. I was like what? But yes, Priyanka Chopra is in it.
Starting point is 00:37:27 It's like six episodes. It's an action-based one. There's some love in it. But it is good. It is a great little show. I bet more episodes are going to come. I know her. Yeah, you know her.
Starting point is 00:37:37 She's married to Nick Jonas, but she was in Quantico. Did you ever watch Quantico? Wife did. And that was a great show. She's a great actress. But yeah, Citadel. Noted. Prime.
Starting point is 00:37:47 You would both love that. Okay. And then she can watch The Rise of Pink Ladies. I think she'd like that. Those are my TV. and raise, Bravo. Bravo and a show from 15 years ago. Check it out.
Starting point is 00:38:01 Just came out, guys. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give
Starting point is 00:38:23 this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. Starting point is 00:39:45 If you are a founder or a freelancer or the friend who always says, hey, you know what? What if I started that? This is for you. I'm telling you I had nothing to my name. Starting point is 00:40:36 join us in these conversations that will make you braver and smarter with your money. Listen to Dos Amigos as part of the Michael Tutta Podcast Network available on the IHartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. We had a really awesome interview with Jake Owen this week. It's always fun when he comes. in. Who's been your favorite person
Starting point is 00:40:56 that's stopped by the studio in the last year, Ray? Wow. And I'm putting you on the spot here. Jake's awesome. I'm trying to think dude wise, Sam Hunt. Sam Hunt's been here. Sam Hunt's been here. Sam Hunt has been. Wallin. I don't think Malin's been on in the last year. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:41:15 I mean, I think he was supposed to. Thinking of somebody that's super funny or super famous. Somebody's got some swag to him. Bailey Zimmerman, I'm going to say, because he had so much swag. He did have a lot of swag. I mean, I've never seen somebody control a room, boss his people around, shut doors. I mean, it was something that we talked about. It was noteworthy.
Starting point is 00:41:39 So of all the people in the last year, that's what sticks out. Give me Bailey Zimmerman. Okay, that's a solid one. I really loved having the wreckers in. That was cool. Okay. But I think I'm pretty positive. Ryan Reynolds was in the last year.
Starting point is 00:41:51 year. And that was on Zoom. Yeah. That counts as coming in. Yeah. It's still an interview. It's a guess. You're such a millennial. Zoom does not count as in person. Okay. Well, if it could count, I would choose Ryan Reynolds because that was amazing. Okay. Adam Sandler was mine, but I wasn't even in the room. It was at Bones House. It still counts. It's still on the, okay. In the studio, then I'm choosing the records. Stipulation. I was the one who asked the question, and you added stipulations to my question.
Starting point is 00:42:27 My bad. Right. Okay. Well, we did have Jake Owen in studio. That was a great interview. And if you want to go watch Bailey Zimmerman or the records or Ryan Reynolds or Adam Sandler, they're all on YouTube. You want to check those out.
Starting point is 00:42:41 We also had, coming in at number second, we all got Gott from Bobby and Dr. Lori. Did you believe that his coin was worth 100K? Yeah, he did a good job acting. and the way i mean i thought dr lorry i mean for her to be in on it too is what really tricked us well yeah because i didn't think she'd ever lie like right it made it really believable because she's come on before everything's not worth anything just never suspected this prank coming along and i mean it really just caught us off guard and that's why it was so believable yeah that's why we got got got hard
Starting point is 00:43:11 too but not by scam by bobby and dr lory i wish you would have been somebody else though like it It would have been like, who would it? Oh, no. I wish the coin would have been lunchboxes. And then there was a prank on lunchbox that he, that he thought it was 100K and then they come back and like it's not. Right. You can't make it perfect, but it would have been hilarious if he found a coin and then they tricked him. And that might have been just what you said.
Starting point is 00:43:35 Yeah. And he thought he had a $100,000 coin flipped out and then we tell him he's prank. Yeah. Listen, there's still, there will be a day where I prank lunchbox with a fake snake and I just haven't figured out the perfect moment yet. It will happen. Keep plotting. I am. Trust me. I've watched a lot of ways to figure out how I can do this prank. You are such an ID channel plotter.
Starting point is 00:43:55 But he deserves it. He comes at me all the time. He deserves a little scare. You know? He hates snakes. And I just would love to figure the crap out of him with fake snake. Especially with the new vehicle stuff that he comes at you with. He's coming hard. You need to come back equally as hard. I am. I'm going to come back with a fake snake hard. And he's definitely getting no more rides for me. No more free rides. He's on his own.
Starting point is 00:44:20 He has to Uber. What's the best prank that's ever happened to you? The show prank me. Before you were on the show, they made me think I was on Big Brother. That's a terrible prank. I believe it's still on YouTube, Ray, Bobby Bone Show, Big Brother. I went to the airport. I was talking to an agent who was really one of their buddies who was doing a fake voice,
Starting point is 00:44:38 thinking I was going to L.A., about to be on the show. And then they just go, psych, we got you, mother blank. and I look up and there's video and I got my suitcase. I'm in a suit. I was all pimped out. Did you cry? No, but I was like I parked in $100 parking. I mean, because I thought I was I was going. No, they don't reimburse crap. I thought I was going to L.A. so I just said, screw it. I'll park in that. I mean, just ballade it. Dang, you full on thought that happened. Yeah, I thought I was going to L.A. I had a suit at all the stuff I needed. I just left my apartment. And then they right away, they told me they were filming from up top and they
Starting point is 00:45:14 go got you we got you and then they put it all on the show oh my god that's too i know that's like your number one dream they they got you with your number one dream yeah i was walking around the airport the whole time they're filming me on i go where are you guys at i'm right by the southwest can't counter where do i find you guys they go yep yep we're going to get you a flight yep you just kind of go over there into that row over there we'll get you to that it was so bad it's so bad how many years it take you for to forgive that are you still holding on to it a little bit i mean stuff's water off a duck back, honestly. I thought it was funny. I thought it was funny. What was that saying? I don't think I've ever
Starting point is 00:45:48 heard that in my life. I use it. Water off a duck's back. Yeah. That was the true country Ray version coming out there for a moment. I thought it. At first, mad, next day, hearing it on the radio, funny. I got more famous from it. Every buddy around town was saying stuff about it. Yeah. It was a pretty big deal. Dang. I did not know about that one. That's a really good friend. Yeah. You? I think ours was when I was on the show. This was when I was in high school.
Starting point is 00:46:20 And we would always get teepied, my house would. But a bunch of my sister's friends teepied us, and they put a lobster in the pool with confetti. And then the lobster went missing. And we never found the lobster. Oh, my gosh. You never know where it is. No, we never know where it went.
Starting point is 00:46:42 But it was a pretty celebrating. My dad was not happy. I was going to say the person that got the brunt of that is your pops having to deal with the pool getting clogged up. Yeah, he was not, well, he was not happy about the TV in the first place. He was cleaning out the confetti drain for two weeks. Yeah, and I think they also forked us, you know, where you put forks in the yard. Like, it was bad. Like, looking back now, hilarious.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Dad was not happy. Dad would not see it that way now. Dad was maybe a little happy that the ground got aerated with the forks, but he was not happy about pool situation. Yeah, no. And taking out a bunch of forks and stuff. not cool, but yeah, and it was wild. It was a wild time. And my dad, there was a time, this was not the same TPN incident.
Starting point is 00:47:21 There was a time that some of my guy friends, TBI, and they got chased by my dad in his underwear on the street. Heard that story before. Yep. So we had a lot of TEP incidents at the house, but the lobster was the best. That's a baller moved by Pops. I mean, just to take off, not care, you know, barely covering his crank and he's off. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:40 He was. He definitely put the fear of life into a lot of our friends. Oh, but yeah, the lobster. The lobster was clever to think ahead to put a lobster in a pool. Pretty clever. But then it escaped. Yeah, I still don't know where it went. Not that great of planning.
Starting point is 00:47:54 No, but how did the lobster get out of a pool is what I would really like to know. You know? I thought of a good prank that I'm going to do on you. Why me? What if? What did I ever do you? What if I got to pay to guy to fall in love with you? Feels a little personal if you're asking me.
Starting point is 00:48:15 if I actually, it's a prank, but that he actually falls in love. Yeah, I was thinking about it. I was like, you know, I could probably get the guy to fall in love with me if I'm like, he's like, I'm not going to do this. It's like a homework movie, Ray. By prank just backfired. And then he'd be like, well, now I have to tell her the truth and be a whole thing. For six months, I pay a cowboy to fake fall in love with you.
Starting point is 00:48:35 And then after six months, we get on the radio and he goes, Sike, I don't actually love you. This is all a prank. And then he's like, but I'm actually in love with you. And then I'm like, no, I hate you. He's like, actually, I'm. moved all my stuff into your house. I actually really love that part of town. That's literally a hallmark movie. I'm pretty positive. That's a hallmark movie.
Starting point is 00:48:55 Please don't break me with love. That might make me cry. No, I honestly would probably make my trust. She was already bad. They're already not good. I was totally playing around. Good God. But the next cowboy that you meet, you're going to think I'm praying. Do you know Ray? Just please don't, please don't tell lunchbox because he probably would do something like that. Do you know Ray? No, bro. I've never met him in my life. I'm just a cowboy. Okay, good. I got to check. I'd be, like, licking over his shoulder anytime he's on Instagram. I'm like, are you DMing, Ray?
Starting point is 00:49:22 Never going to believe anything. I already have trust issues. I'm sorry, I even said. It just came to my mind. Honestly, funny. But, like, I got trusted to be right. But a little too extravagant of a prank to make it be six months. You guys actually hang out.
Starting point is 00:49:34 You guys literally would probably fall in love. There's no way you can prank somebody for six months. But then I'd have, like, trust you'd be like, no, you were dating me as a prank. Yeah. But really don't tell lunchbox because I do think he'd actually try and do it. Okay. Also, don't tell him about my snake prank. That will happen.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Coming in, number one spot. We lost all of our money in the lottery. $2,000 of it down the drain. We did not make anything in any way. We barely won anything, actually. How much did you invest? $100. Yeah, $100 was dumb.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Talk to the wife. After that, it was probably a little bit too much. we would have been more comfortable with 50. Well, we did start off strong. I was like, when we got the, we made like 1,200 and I was like, hey, guys, let's just keep it. Right, but we lost 2,000.
Starting point is 00:50:24 I know, but like, at least we made like $50 back. Yeah. You know, and I was like, hey, let's just keep it. But no, we went in. I wish I would have known the rules, the parameters exactly before we did it because, yes, when we made the 1,200, I thought then we were getting our money back.
Starting point is 00:50:39 I didn't want to go buy more tickets. Yeah, same. But we did not get asked. It just kept going. Oh, I very well realized that all too soon that we were not getting that money back and it was just going to get drained out. Yeah. Hi. Hello.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I would like to get my money back. Is that an option? Can we pull out now? I love this money pit we keep going into. We really did. You know, there was a listener that predicted it on our post show when they were watching a scratcher, like, they're going to go reinvest in more tickets and this is just going to keep getting worse and worse until they're back to zero. dude straight up predicted what was going to happen you know that cycle all too well
Starting point is 00:51:14 called the number buddy it made me think though what's like an everyday thing that is definitely a scam that most people like they might do it and they don't think it's a scam and like a great example of it is like the multi-level marketing yes schemes any of those pyramid schemes those are great ones where they're like tummy tea or the miracle makeup whatever i will say i'm not naming any places but any place you got to get a membership to because you're paying a fee. So you're obviously doing the membership because you get a crazy discount, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:46 You're paying a fee. But the amount of these fees sometimes is a little steep. So are you really saving enough money to make the fee worth it and to be tied into something for an entire year and be forced to buy some stuff that necessarily isn't what you want to buy? But because you have the membership, you buy it. It's the mind control. Are you willing to get mind controlled for an entire year to save at $5?
Starting point is 00:52:15 And that's a scam. And I'm not naming the places, but it's happening every day. Are you talking about Costco? Because that definitely feels what you're talking about. But you're not naming places. I did. Yeah, that's fair. Anytime you have to buy a subscription, it's rough.
Starting point is 00:52:33 Yeah. You're just spending more money than you're really gaining. And my chick goes and gets the freaking tanning salon. subscription for a year. She got it. It's cheaper. For $400 a year. Oh,
Starting point is 00:52:47 don't worry. I'm trying to write it off for some thing we do. Cameo or something. That's getting written off. What about for your cabins today? Written off. Written off.
Starting point is 00:52:57 There's some way I'm going to figure out how to write that off. But let me say this. She paid $400 and there's no way that's a better deal than her going six times throughout the year that she goes. I'm still bitter about that one. That's a scale.
Starting point is 00:53:10 I can tell. You know, I did kind of fall for one. Okay, so you know the master classes that are out there that you can, like, go and you can pay for a little bit and you get a master class on winning the lottery. Say that. Do you go into a room? Are these at college campuses? No, they're on like online. Got it.
Starting point is 00:53:28 And it could be from an actor. It could be from, there's all kinds of master classes out there. But it's called masterclass. I understand. And so I saw one come through by these two like really good. female financial advisors. And talking about stock market and all of that stuff. And I was like, oh, it was free.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Didn't have to do anything, right? I was like, oh, I'll sign up for it. It's free. I can, like, join it because I've seen master classes be free before and people, like, really like them. I don't know what happened, but I went on to this call. And the whole time, you know when somebody's trying to tell you something, but they're not actually telling you?
Starting point is 00:54:04 It was just you on this call or there's a whole group of people? No, there's a whole bunch of people who signed up online. And so you think she's talking just to you? She's talking to all of us, but you know when somebody is telling you something and they're not giving you the full story, they're just basically talking in circles. Yes. That's what she was doing. And I was like, and then at the end it's like, well, if you'd like to buy this package, we can go. I'm like, oh, I got got.
Starting point is 00:54:25 So you got into the freebie part. They loops you in to the paid for. Yes. I didn't have to pay for it. But like to get the actual information that I wanted in the first place, I would have had to pay for it instead of just getting the free masterclass that I thought I was getting. Scam. It was a scam. Damn. And then I was on all their email things because you signed up to be in this thing.
Starting point is 00:54:44 And then they had your email. And you never got masterclassed. No, I never learned anything. That's the stupidest hour of my life that I wasted. And I literally sitting there kept waiting. They even gave you a worksheet that you could like fill in things. I really thought I was, I think I maybe learned one thing from that whole hour. They're good.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Yeah. So that's a scam. Especially for them to get you. You're the online wizard. And it wasn't like a full on scam per se, right? Like you still got something out of it for the free, but it was just like they were doing it to get you to spend money. And it probably works. People probably fall for it and they do it.
Starting point is 00:55:19 And maybe it's not a scam when people pay for it. But it felt like a scam. Yeah. I'm with you on that one. Definitely scammyish. And the last and the biggest one of all. Our health care system. That's a little too real though.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Hey, give us your card. Okay. Here you go. Here's my card. Awesome. That saved me $0. Glad I gave it to you. Or please give us $300 to tell you.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Nothing is wrong with you. I've been there. I got blood tests run because I had something weird. I was getting like chills and stuff. I got strep, COVID, cough, flu. Then my blood test for tick bite for good blood, bad blood, blood counts. Nothing. Awesome.
Starting point is 00:56:04 I could have asked my neighbor for the same response. Yeah. That was a mess. And paid a lot of money for that. I just randomly thought of this. I paid a lot of, or it's so top of mind. I paid hundreds of dollars for it.
Starting point is 00:56:18 I get an email from them. Not even a phone call that says, your test provided no results of, it was one sentence. Awesome. Thanks for the breakdown. It was an AI bot that gave me my panel response. I mean,
Starting point is 00:56:33 honestly, even if there was something wrong with you, probably would have got the same response. Like, you're going to die. You have six weeks. Awesome. Thanks, bot.
Starting point is 00:56:44 Oh, yeah. Man, it's, yeah. That's a too real one, though. So that's why I kind of threw it in there at the end, like, problem for another day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, well, that wraps our best bits, Ray. I think we killed it. How do you feel?
Starting point is 00:56:59 Tax advice. Stock advice. Insight into you getting pranked, pranks that we're not going to do. We were just talking about hypothetically. I'm not going to be on the lookout for Cowboys. Any guy in a hat that walks up to me? Yes, I think we covered it all. We did.
Starting point is 00:57:15 And random questions that you totally roasted me for it. There always has to be one Ray roast in the best bits, or it's not a full Ray episode. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So we did it. I'm proud of us. Tell the people where they can find you. Listen to all that stuff. Cizan Ray Mundo for Twitter, Instagram, and then Soar Losers Podcast.
Starting point is 00:57:33 It's now just me and Lunchbox. Eddie left. So it's just us, too, but Soor Losers Podcast. You're doing great on the Twitter. Thank you. Did you notice how I said that Twitter? Thank you. You're doing great.
Starting point is 00:57:44 And also it looks like you got a haircut. I did. It looks good. I did because I'm going on vacation, so I want to look good. Are you going on vacation? I'm going vacation to the doctor, to the D.R. Doctor. Dominican Republic.
Starting point is 00:57:59 Can you throw us some vacation to go into your vacation? Because you really had a golden opportunity there to tell your audio and you didn't. Oh, that was part one, right? Yeah, that was part one. It was more popular. Here's part two. Honestly, both are a vibe, though, Ray. Vi-vibe, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:39 So I'll be Dominican-Republicing it, and you can play more than 15 seconds. I give you permission on that. Okay, you are one of the riders. I think you have to have full writer permission, though, to do that. But I love it. Ray, congratulations on your haircut. vacation and everything.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Thank you. Thank you. You can find me at Webgirl Morgan on all of the things. I did not get a haircut, but Ray's does look good. Maybe he'll post some pictures. I don't know. He never posts crap on Instagram. Yeah, my lady kills it.
Starting point is 00:59:07 So shout out to her. She's awesome. She doesn't listen to this, but she does a really good job. You should tell her to listen. She's actually Russian. So unless we got a version rocking Russian, she ain't listening. Oh, I thought you were talking about Bay. And I got so confused.
Starting point is 00:59:23 I was like, since when is Bay? Russian. No, no, no. We run two different wavelengths. Sorry. Your hair lady. Hair lady is from the heart of the heart of Russia, and it's a language barrier. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Well, I was talking about Bay to listen, but... Got it. Okay. All right, y'all. Have a great weekend, Ray. Thanks for hanging out with me. Yeah. Bye, everyone.
