Starting point is 00:03:01 Morning. Amy, what do you think about the old pay-it-forward line? I mean, I like it. I think it's a good thing. Like you, it encourages you to do things for others? It logically never made sense to me. Why? And I've said this on the show before.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I think it's a nice gesture, but it doesn't make sense as the only person who gets it's the very end. Because you're getting and then you're giving and there's not a nice deed. I think with the pay-up forward line, it should be one person paying for the next one and them just accepting love and moving on. Because that's what the long line is, too. Yeah, okay. So what do you want to call it?
Starting point is 00:03:37 No, no, no, I'm okay with it. I don't hate it. it, but my brain goes, we're not doing a lot of good things for a lot of good people. We're just keeping something afloat until that final person gets a good thing. Does that make sense? Yeah. I'm not hating on the pay-up forward line.
Starting point is 00:03:51 So don't write an article about it. Facebook is going crazy. I know. But just as my analytical brain thinks, it goes, well, the only person benefiting is that final person who then quits the line. And it's like the bad guy wins. Yeah, you don't want to be that guy. Everybody along, like in the process,
Starting point is 00:04:09 the warm fuzzies. We all, you all benefit. What do you mean? Because there's still something that feels good about being a part of that. Okay, I can agree with that. But my, my thoughts aren't about feelings. Okay. Rarely are they. It's like literally benefiting financially. Yes. And the person that's benefiting is the one that goes, I'm going to cut this line. I'm done. And the people that really get screwed over are the ones that like, well. Well, the first one is doing the actual giving. That's the real giver and the ender is the real taker. But I would say it should just be, we drive up to the line. I'm like, yeah, like to get this person behind me. And the person behind me goes, wow, what a great day for me.
Starting point is 00:04:42 I'm going to accept this. Have my free Starbucks and move on. And then you can keep it going that way. Anyway, I'm just getting to a whole story here. Okay, what is it? What was your point? Well, my point was that, you know, you, maybe the person pays for yours and you ordered one latte, and then you're like, I'll get the people behind me and they ordered five lattes.
Starting point is 00:04:58 That's always a, yeah. That's the risk you take being a part of it. And you could actually get hurt being a part of this line financially, as Amy says. Like, you only have four bucks. Right. But all of a sudden you got nine chicken tender. and he's just like, what's happening? Okay, so I saw on TikTok from a guy named Abraham Piper
Starting point is 00:05:15 who explained his reasoning why he broke the chain at Starbucks that people had started as a pay-it-forward line. He said it was to teach his son a lesson. Here is the clip. I pulled into Starbucks with my son, and I was told that our drinks were paid for by the car behind me. I said, oh, cool, and I took my stuff and I left. My son goes, you were supposed to pay for the car behind us.
Starting point is 00:05:34 I said to him, listen, buddy, I had two options. One, I could feel guilty for cutting this chain short, or two, I could feel like a sucker for keeping it going. Only one of those options is free. People ahead of me weren't being kind. They were put under obligation by the person ahead of them, and they're passing it on. I didn't want this. I came here for a latte and a mediocre frozen sandwich, not a moral quandary and a side of shame. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:05:56 It's funny. He thinks about it a lot, too, obviously, like I do. And his son was like, huh? A side of shame. I wonder how it took him to come up with that line. There is a pressure, too, to keep it going. And sometimes that pressure is to pay more than you actually were prepared to pay. So I like the pay it for the person behind me line.
Starting point is 00:06:15 That's it. I'm paying for yours. You take it. Good for you. Move on. But he's right. You sit there and you're like, hey, they've been doing this for 17. What do you want for me?
Starting point is 00:06:27 So I wanted to play that. Did I change your mind at all? I mean, no, I'm still going to be a part of it probably. But I do like his explanation. But that poor kid, now's going to be like, Breaking all the chains all across the world. I love that people pay for other people's food. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:41 But I think it's just to go one to one. And it's also hard to just accept love, which I've been struggling with my entire life. So now I'd be like, thank you for this love. I will have my egg whites. I'm moving on. You've learned. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:06:51 Yes, thank you very much. There's no more change. You know what time it is. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Good morning, Bobby's.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Bones, I'm desperate. I need advice. My 19-year-old stepson spends what I consider to be a ridiculous amount of money on PlayStation. He works full-time. He makes really good money, but he still lives at home with my husband and I for free. I'm on his checking account. I can see what he spends money on, so out of curiosity, I added up the PlayStation charges, and they totaled almost $8,000 in the last year. Whoa. I worry that he isn't learning how to manage his money properly, and therefore, we'll be underprepared for the real world when he decides to move into his own place. Am I overstepping my boundaries by getting upset? Should I just drop it and stay in my lane or continue to voice my concerns with his spending habits?
Starting point is 00:07:49 Thank you for your time, signed Brandy. That's a lot of money, huh? Yes, a lot of money. First of all, he's not having to make tough decisions about money yet because you haven't put him in that situation, right? Right. I was about to say, what do you mean when he decides to move out? Yeah. You might need to push him along.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Yeah, or push him, well, I'm not pushing him along. Like, you can charge him rent. 19 years old. Yep. If he's working full time, that's how you can teach him by enforcing a few things on him. I don't think all that wants you go, all right, rent, we're going to need room insurance. We're going to need you to pay for part of your groceries, but you can slowly implement things in for as long as you're comfortable with him living there.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Because when he's out on a zone, sometimes you just have to go figure it out. and $8,000 a year isn't, I bet it's not that when he has to pay for his own apartment or car. He probably has the means, so he spends the means. I would assume he's not a complete dumb, dumb. What I would say is, first of all, always start with the tall. Okay, hopefully he knows you're looking at his account. Oh, yeah. Right?
Starting point is 00:08:53 Yes. I mean, that might be awkward when you go, hey, I saw I was going through your account, adding up all your PlayStation. He may be like, why are you doing that? It's not your account? Yeah, that could be considered. pretty invasive. And then that's her stepson. I don't know what that relationship is.
Starting point is 00:09:06 I know. I was going to be like she should go. I don't know how long she's been the bonus mom, but like she may want to go through the dad first, the husband. It's okay for you to be concerned, first and foremost. But now how are you going to teach him these rules? You got the easy way or the hard way. The easy way is to go, hey, spend a lot on PlayStation.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Let's figure out a way to make sure you're saving enough money for when you get out. It gets a little harder when you go, hey, we're going to charge your rent. don't mention PlayStation. Third way is you got to take the boot in the butt. It's time to go find your own place. But he may be in school. I don't know. What are you going to say?
Starting point is 00:09:39 Well, I had a stepmom for a long time. And she interjected herself a few times with me and my sister when we were in college about some of our spending. And it straight up did not go well because we felt like it should have been coming from our dad. And so that's just, I'll throw that in because I don't know y'all's relationship. But it definitely would have been better if it would have come from our dad. dad because our relationship wasn't that we didn't view her as a motherly figure so that that's just something I'll throw in well the email does say he works full time so I'm imagining he's not in school yeah maybe working full time he's 19 he makes really good money I say start charging him rent
Starting point is 00:10:18 yeah well not you talk through the husband now walk in there today no just like have that sit down give him the opportunity and he might be like okay you know what maybe I should find some roommates and move out. But also don't let this, you finding out how much he's spending, change how you're living life if you're happy right now. You know, just because he's spending more and he has it doesn't mean he should be punished. He's making the money. If you're letting him live there, why is he going to get,
Starting point is 00:10:43 why should he get punished? Then it starts with the conversation. Hey, are you ready? Because you know in the next years, two years, you've got to get out of here. You can go find your own place. Do you feel good about that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you know how much money is going to cost to have an apartment? How much it is to pay car insurance? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I think you have that conversation first.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Then you go, in a year, we're going to start charging your rent. Just heads up and move from there. That's what I would say to do. But he didn't do anything to get punished. I don't want to send you out to punish him after this email. Like, charge him rent. It doesn't sound like she wants to punish him anyway. She just sounds concerned.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Well, she just know, there was a sentence in there. The word was concerning to me. Now I can't remember it. Am I overstepped from my boundaries by getting upset? Yeah, she's letting, yes, she's letting this get her upset, which should not be the case if it's his money. She must be annoyed that he's still. living at home.
Starting point is 00:11:32 So, I mean, you have to dissect the, yes, what's the root issue? What are your real feelings about that? And then, again, get the dad involved. It does sound like she doesn't want him to live there anymore if he's working full-time. Good job, guys. Good detective work there.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Yeah. She also says, in parentheses, I don't want him living here anymore. No, she didn't say that at all. Okay, so what are you saying here? I say, yes, there needs to be a family meeting. Everyone involved, I would say she talks to the husband first, and then, I don't know, the husband might be like, because this is how my dad was. My dad wasn't going to talk to us about it.
Starting point is 00:12:09 That's why my stepmom ended up doing it, which sucked. I wish my dad would have just stepped up. So, good luck. It sounds like the root is you want him to move out. If that's the case, you need to get on a plan for that. It's not about the PlayStation money. That ain't hurting anybody. If he gets mad about it now, I really think it's a maturity thing, and he will think.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Thank you one day. Again, like me as an adult now, I wish I would have learned things younger as a kid and people would have just been honest with me about things and it would have given me room to grow and figure it out of my own. Okay, I've had time to stretch my arms here. Here's what I'm going to say. You just need to have a conversation, period, about his exit plan is from the house. That's what it feels like. It didn't have to be right now. But it's say, what are you feeling here? You're working full time. When do you feel like it's, that's the conversation? It's not about PlayStation money. And maybe you don't disclose that you add it up how much he spent. I agree. Like, that seems crossing the line. Yeah, that's a weird one. Thank you for your email.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Good luck with that situation. Email us after you get it fixed or it goes haywire. All right. Close up the mailbag. We've got your email and we let it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. If you want to send us a note, Morgan, what do they do?
Starting point is 00:13:21 Mailbag at bobbybones.com. Thank you guys. Let's go over to Dia. In Wisconsin? Yeah. How are you? Yeah. Good morning, studio.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Morning. Just had to call because I can relate, Bobby, to not having, like, dad in your vocabulary. That completely resonates with me. My dad was, unfortunately, killed when I was five in a logging accident. And so I don't remember using that word for me. And I'm now 48. I'm married. I've known my father-in-law for 18 years.
Starting point is 00:14:00 And every now and then I'll try. And it just seems so taboo for me to call him dad because I just don't use the word. Like my husband is a great dad. I use it in, you know, relationship to him. And like when we're talking to one another, we're like, hey, dad, what about this? And we're talking about the kids. That's completely comfortable because he's their dad. But for me, it's just like, I just can't use it.
Starting point is 00:14:24 Even at 48, like, I can't. It's so strange to use. So I get where you're coming from, like, not knowing what to call him. And is dad a thing? Like, or you call him by his first name because, you know, he's going to be your father-law and you want to have a connection. And, yeah, I don't really call my father-law by his first name all the time either. So it's just a – it's kind of a weird dance.
Starting point is 00:14:46 Yeah, let's peel back the onion for a second. That's a good point. I never called anybody dad my whole life. So that word – that is just a weird thing to come out of my mouth. it was like the L word until I was able to finally say it to Caitlin I said all the time until I love her all the time Love? Yeah I never said it to anybody And so I just I would now I can say it to
Starting point is 00:15:05 I'm just like Santa Claus with it with a big old bag of love I just pass it out all over the place Well maybe you'll get that way with dad totally I don't know about totally I don't know that that's the case because I don't have I don't feel like I had a dad And I don't feel like Arkansas Keith was close to that But I was a teenager when my mom married him
Starting point is 00:15:22 So I was kind of wired He came in at a good point to help me eat food. You know? Like, really? Like, I got three meals a day once we were with Arkansas, Keith. But I don't think I ever used the word. And so I don't know that I will ever call my future father-in-law, dad. But I don't feel like I can call him by his first name because that feels disrespectful.
Starting point is 00:15:40 And then I don't feel like I can call him Mr. Because that feels too formal. Just Mr. No, well. Oh, Mr. Whatever. Yeah. But I don't know how long you're going to be able to keep up. Hey, man.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Hey, man, you're going to eat that? Hey man, how you doing? But sometimes I just look him in the eye. Right. But do you ever have to call him on the phone? You have to, yeah. But he answers. He knows it to me.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Oh, and he's like, hey man. Yeah, I'm like, what's up? Don't forget, I asked him to marry Caitlin on the phone. Yeah. It lives in Oklahoma. I was like, hey, bruh. Mind if I marry a daughter? Is it just the word dab?
Starting point is 00:16:12 Can you call him pops? I don't think I would call anybody anything. Okay, so it's not just the word. But maybe when I'm a dad, it'll be different. Maybe that opens up. Yeah, because you're going to be dad. That opens up. And you call your father-in-law dad.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Yes, I do. Not when my dad's around, but if it's just me and him, hey, dad, how does this shirt look on me? Is that weird? No, I love it. I think that Eddie's in the minority with that. I could be wrong, but based on a poll in this room, lunchbox and I don't do that.
Starting point is 00:16:38 No chance. Ready to you? No, no, no. You have one dad. So Eddie's in the minority. I mean, I've also known him for more than 20 years. So, I mean, he's been in my life. At what point did you start to do that?
Starting point is 00:16:49 After we got married. Right after? Yeah, I would say like a year after we got married. Was it uncomfortable for them too? He's like, wait, I'm not your dad. No. Uh-uh. Uh-uh.
Starting point is 00:16:56 And in the phone, it's dad number two. That's what he's under. And then also my mother-in-law, she's mama. Wow. I call her mama. Yep. Does your oldest son still call you daddy? Yeah, sometimes.
Starting point is 00:17:08 At 13? Uh-huh. Yeah. But it's crazy. My little foster baby, he calls me dad. Not daddy. Every other kid calls me daddy in the house, except my little foster baby who's two. Ramundo, would you call you?
Starting point is 00:17:20 your mother-in-law, mom? No, I believe I've done that before joking around and she's like, don't call me mom. Oh, wow. Maybe try mama, because that's what Eddie does. Are you close to them? I'm very close to him, but they're funny like that and they're just like, I mean, she's not my mom and her dad is a very manly man and he's not going to let me call him dad. Do you call him by their first name or do you call him Mr. Yeah, you do? You do? You do?
Starting point is 00:17:42 That's what I do. You do? Yeah, I don't. I'm like, sometimes I'll just mumble a sound to get them to look like I can do with my dogs. Like if I need Stanley, I'll like, if I need Stanley, I'd be like, go-go! And then Stanley will look at me, and I'll be like, hey, do this. And so sometimes I'll be like, Gagga!
Starting point is 00:17:57 Make a little, ooh-hoo, whoo, up here. And then he looks. Go-c-c-c-c-c-c-oh. And I'm like, hey, so you want to go Chick-fil-A? That's the way. It's awkward. It is.
Starting point is 00:18:06 It's the way I live my life. Well, thank you for your call and your story, Dia. We appreciate that. Any advice you'd like to give me? You know, just go with your gut. Maybe you want to sometimes sit down and have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:18:16 If he's, like, an open communicator, maybe you guys can just have a conversation. Like, you know, I want to be able to, you have a title, I just don't know what you're comfortable with. Well, he's already called me to call him by his first name. Oh, he said that? Yeah, but I don't feel comfortable doing it. Why? That's his name.
Starting point is 00:18:31 He's asking you to. Well, and then he's also got like two first names. Well, he's got like... Jim Bob? Well, no. If someone's name was like Dan and Danny, some people call him Danny, it's not his name. Some people call him, I don't even know which was named is to call. But I thought you just said he told you what to call him.
Starting point is 00:18:47 call him. Yeah, but it didn't feel right. Okay. I'm waiting for the moment to be right. All right. So for now I go, cuckoo! Hey, you. All right. Hey, Dia, thank you very much for your call. We really appreciate that. Thank you. This time, the generous patron known as the COVID Bandit visited the Flagstaff House restaurant in Boulder. That's a bad name, though, for somebody doing good. Yeah, I thought the same thing.
Starting point is 00:24:33 The COVID bandit will be someone who has COVID and is around spitting in people's drinks. Or he's stealing something. Yeah, I don't, I think they should go back and rename this good person. The restaurant posted a picture on Facebook of a receipt. Well, they had signed it COVID-Bandit. Hey, whoever you are, you got to change the name. He wants to be called. Yeah, that's not good.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Showing a $4,600 tip on a $1,000 meal. He also included his signature and says COVID sucks. Note, smiley face. Said, hey, split up between all employees, including dishwasher, servers, bus people, chefs, valets, hostess, etc. each person working the night got a $200 part of that tip. They surely know who this is. With cameras everywhere, of course.
Starting point is 00:25:16 And with somebody buying a $1,000 meal. Yeah, they can figure it out. Everybody's protecting the COVID bandit. Which is a terrible name. He's wearing a disguise or a mask. Like a mask? It's like Zorro. Or the hamburger.
Starting point is 00:25:30 You know how I had the... All right, well, shout out to the COVID Bandit. Looks like you got a lot of money and you're helping people. That's pretty cool. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Have you seen where people are open in their mailbox and inside the mailbox there are dryer sheets? Yes, I've done this before.
Starting point is 00:25:47 What do you mean? Well, it keeps, it helps protect the mailman from ants or bees, which is it. Yeah, getting stung. Yeah. Well, at first, the story was, what's happening? The murderers are putting dryer sheets and steal your mail. It was like I saw on our page the other day, people are putting cheese on cars. Do we talk about that?
Starting point is 00:26:05 No. Why? Because you walk up and you're like, what's this cheese about? Then boom, somebody hits you from behind. What? Yeah. So the same thing. I was like, dryer sheets and mailboxes, what's happening?
Starting point is 00:26:16 But it turns out they're just putting them in there. And sometimes the mail people are. So it kills the bugs. Yeah. And then when they stick their hand in, they're not having to be scared. There was a snake in mine. Remember that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Does the dryer sheet help with the snakes? I don't know. But I know we went and looked and there was no snake. That's crazy. That means you have a hole in your... Yes, the snake must have got it. up away and then went down the way. But the post office woman called me. It was like, hey, were we in the room when she called us? Call me? No. You told us later. She was like,
Starting point is 00:26:45 I opened your box up and there was a snake in there. So I didn't put the mail on there today. Snake in the box. And I was like, sorry about that. Yeah. And so we went and cleared it out. There was no snake in there. Oh, I did clear it out with stick. I was far away. I was like, just in case. Mail out of there. Airline workers reveal the things passengers do that annoy them. I think as people start to fly a little more, this is a good little teaching lesson, right? Yeah, I can tell you what annoys me. What? When people get up and they try to exit the plane out of order. Oh yeah, that's annoying. It's the worst. You're going to save seven seconds. Like, if you, if you're at risk of missing your connector, then maybe give people a heads up,
Starting point is 00:27:21 like, hey, do you mind if I go? I have a connector. I'm in a hurry. Okay, fine, no big deal. But if you're just like getting your luggage down and like go, it's like, no, there's a process. There's order. This is the way of like, it just, makes me think like these people, how they operate in life, probably can't trust them with anything. Yeah, I never escalated it that far. But it's also people when it goes, ding, and you land and they jump up real quick and they can't actually get out. I know why. It's like, we're all going to get off basically at the same time. Yeah. Sit down. And you have a seat. Yeah, just chill out for a second. Those didn't make the list. Number one is changing your baby's dirty diaper on the passenger seat.
Starting point is 00:27:56 Oh. I've never seen that before. I do think I would be grossed out by it. I think you should probably go in the bathroom. Yeah. Yeah, or if you can't. I've seen people do it in the lap. Great. It doesn't put it over into the other seat. Well, I would just say if it's a poopie diaper, it probably is pretty awful smelling. I would take it to the bathroom. I think it was the number one. Yeah. Okay. Of course, who cares. Walking around barefoot on planes. Gross. Gross. I will, if I'm wearing slides, have socks on and take them out of the slides that I don't walk around. Okay. I was about to say. I had to get my daughter once did that when
Starting point is 00:28:30 barefoot to the bathroom and I cleaned her feet with wipes when she got back because I couldn't believe it. You know I have to clean my feet before I go to bed every night. Have I talked to this on the show? No. You do? Well, I walk around barefoot everywhere at the house and even out in the garage
Starting point is 00:28:47 because I do the full lockdown of the house every night. I check every lock, every door. I'm walking outside and do the whole thing. But I'm barefoot and Caitlin's like, let's the bottom of your feet. You just been walking outside. And it's like I've been walking outside. And it's like I've been walking in tar. She's like, you're not getting into bed with dirty feet like that. And so I have to scrub the bottom of them before I get under bed.
Starting point is 00:29:03 And at first I was like, what's just so stupid, but it is gross. Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah. It's like, but also I don't get in bed with street clothes on either. If I've been out living life, I can't get under the covers of street clothes. She's really OCD about cleanliness. How do we feel about that? That's good.
Starting point is 00:29:17 I think that's okay. I was really hoping to get you guys on my side of them. No, no. Clean is good, bones. Okay. How about, how do we feel like clapping when the plane lands? I love it. I love that.
Starting point is 00:29:25 It's fine. It's fine. I mean. Bones, you don't like it. I know you don't. I don't love it. It's expected. Like to land and land safely is expected.
Starting point is 00:29:34 I feel like it's insulting to the pilots. Really? Like, oh my God, you did it. We didn't feel like you were going to do it. We're just relieved. Oh. I'm never taking it that way. I'm not a clapper, but I don't mind if other people clap.
Starting point is 00:29:47 How about joking that the pilot is drunk or was out late drinking as you're loading on? No. Funny. Not funny. Or leaving a ridiculous amount of garbage behind. That's really. Those are the things that you shouldn't do one on an airplane. Yeah, they come around and collect trash, so how hard is it for you to gather it?
Starting point is 00:30:02 Yeah. Give it to them. How hard is it? It's not. It's a good question. I was reading this story, and it's about road rage where these two cars, one had accidentally hit the other one, like a little fender bender. They kind of been at each other a little bit.
Starting point is 00:30:16 They get out. One punches him in the face. Young guy punches the old guy. Then it turns from road rage into robbery. He steals his phone. I have the whole video here. Oh, my gosh. on the New York Post, like they had this story.
Starting point is 00:30:29 Wild. That road rage stuff is no joke, and I say that, until Eddie confronts a road rage driver on the street. I do it all the time. With his family in the car. No, no, Eddie, that's dangerous. What's the story? I do it all the time, guys.
Starting point is 00:30:40 In this situation, there's a guy who's turning on to, is a two-lane road that I'm going on. He's turning on to my lane, but I'm already in it, but I'm on the right side of it. And so he thinks that I'm trying to cut him off, and he's like, honks his horn. And like, you say bones, he laid on it. It wasn't the friendly, bub-b-b-b-b-b.
Starting point is 00:30:57 It wasn't the pip-bip. Hey, I'm right here. It wasn't, hey, Bobby, get off Twitter. The light's green now. Correct. It's the, ah. And in that, I'm hearing that as like, beep, beep, beep, beep. So I'm like, okay, obviously this guy's upset at something. He wants to talk about it.
Starting point is 00:31:10 So I hit the brakes, roll my window down. And I wait right there next to him. How do you wait? Where are you? I'm right next to him. It's like a two-lane road, so he's going. Are you going to stop? Oh, you're moving.
Starting point is 00:31:20 We're driving. And I roll the window down. So dumb. And I put my arm out like, what's up? Like, you want to tell me something. Obviously, you're honking at me. What kind of cars are you driving? A pickup truck?
Starting point is 00:31:30 You're out of your mind. Yeah, you're putting your life and your family is in danger. No, so guys, he looks at me and he's like, you! And then he sees my whole family and then goes, vooom, speeds off. I'm like, that's what I thought. And then I looked at him like, that's what I thought. Keep on driving, you punk. And I'm thinking that it's all, I think it's beneficial to me that I have kids because
Starting point is 00:31:49 he looks at me like, oh, I don't mess with this guy. He's got kids and a family. It is till he kills you all. Right. Or beats you up in front of your kids. Yeah. Or. Or.
Starting point is 00:31:56 You cause an accident trying to get up next to this guy. Or also, you're teaching your kids that it's okay to do this. And when they start driving, they're going to be like. Are they scared at the guy over there? They were terrified. They were like, Dad, what are you doing? I'm like, look, kids. Are you showing off a little bit?
Starting point is 00:32:12 No. And I, you know, with everything I do, there's a lesson involved. So I say, kids, look, he was mad at me. He obviously wanted to tell me something. So what am I? I'm all ears. I lowered the window down to see what he had to say. He said nothing.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Dad wins. Goodbye. Okay. They're going to be in therapy. I can't believe you threw your arm out the window. Like, let's go. I mean, he wanted to fight Bones until he saw my family. He's like, okay, so all right.
Starting point is 00:32:32 I'll just keep driving. Okay, if you didn't have your family with you? He'd probably want to fight me. And then I'd be really scared. Would you have stopped if you didn't have your family? No. No, no, no, no. I think that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:32:41 I think it helps that I have the family. I would recommend against doing that. Okay. Because you don't know when someone's going to have a shotgun. You say that by bones, when you're in the moment, you're like in the moment. And you're like, and dude, I fill up with blood. I feel it in my body where I'm just like, this guy wants to talk. Let's talk.
Starting point is 00:32:57 I think of every guy on this show, you would get beat up by everyone. Let's do it. No, I think. But you got to put me in that situation. No, but I'm saying if it were to come to a fight, I think your last place of all of us. I get it, but I don't know if there's something about my face that people get scared when they see it. Like, and I feel like if I'm in that situation, bones, I'm a fight guy, not a flight guy. But you're not a fight guy.
Starting point is 00:33:20 You're also such a nice guy and you're never confrontational. I agree. Until someone honks at me that way. Honks at you, that's what it takes? It was the whole honk that, er. Again, when I'm driving bones and someone tries to cut me off, what I do, I just speed up and I look at them like, do you want to tell me something? Because it sounds, it looks like from your actions when you're driving, you want to tell me something. Yeah, they're going to speak with a well.
Starting point is 00:33:43 weapons. That's when I hit the brakes and back off. Let it go. Just let it go. Dang. That's crazy, right? Yeah, no, I don't. And his family's in the truck?
Starting point is 00:33:51 Really? Were you in the Jeep? No, no, no, I was in the family car. Yeah. Okay. The country singer Chuck Wicks is in a bowling league. And I listen to Chuck's podcast. It's called Talk to Chuck and he's been on the show.
Starting point is 00:34:04 And he's like, I'm going to try to be a pro bowler. He just qualified. He's a pro bowler now. What? He made it? He made it. That's amazing. He texted me yesterday.
Starting point is 00:34:11 I was like, I'm now a pro bowler. I have an event in June. That's cool. His parents were pro bowlers. But then he just started bowling and he's like, yeah, I made it. So he's now a professional bowler. Isn't that crazy? I love it.
Starting point is 00:34:21 You can hear him talk about this on his latest episode of Talk to Chuck. He qualified as a pro bowler. It is crazy. So you guys check that out. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So my question for you is, is it rude to ask someone if they have gotten the COVID vaccine? My instinct would be to say no. but I remember back when people were shaming people for getting the vaccine early.
Starting point is 00:34:48 They'd be like, how'd you get it? Or how'd you get the vaccine? And they were like, don't say that because someone may have a medical condition that they don't want people to know about that allowed them to get the vaccine, myself included. And so I learned that I'm an idiot when it comes to knowing what is polite and what isn't. So I'm going to go again, I'm going to George Costanza this and go, because it's the opposite, that it is not okay to say that. Yeah, well, a majority of people say that it's not.
Starting point is 00:35:11 not rude at all. Like ask away. You could be just part of the minority, which is fine. And I think you bring up a good point. That's just a reminder when it comes to like anything that you don't have to ask people specific details of something personal because you don't know what's really going on in their life or why maybe they got it. Because your thing is in public. It ain't your business, right? But secondly, if you don't want someone to know your business, you can always just lie. I would really have no problem with someone asking me if had the vaccine because I would just want to know, hey, are you vaccinated? Because I don't want to come near you if you're not. Not that I'm going to get it, but I don't want to actually maybe give it to you.
Starting point is 00:35:42 I don't, you know. But yeah, I'm cool with that. So I'll go back to my original answer. I don't care. Did you know that Miranda Lambert is a stepmom? Of an animal? No, like a human. A son.
Starting point is 00:35:54 Yes. Her husband, Brendan, has a two and a half year old son from a previous relationship. Had no idea. But that was mixed in a story about how she is a new mom to two goats named Taco and Tuesday. So this whole article about these cute little goats. and then kind of thrown in the mix is like, hey, yeah, did you know she's a stepmom? Because, yeah, he has a two and a half year old son.
Starting point is 00:36:16 So now we're learning all kinds of things about Miranda. I was reading a story about the house she just sold for like $2.5 million. Oh. Yes. Uh-huh. Well, I think she had it listed for $2.9. It sold for $2.5. What she live in?
Starting point is 00:36:30 The RV now? They're living in a small little cabin until they finish building their house. Remember when Jake going and lived in a tiny house? Yes. As they built his house? He has a literal tiny house. It's one of those tiny, tiny houses. The Boot.com or whatever had put up photos from the inside of Miranda's house for the thing.
Starting point is 00:36:47 And a four things tote that Miranda had was in the photos in her laundry room area. Really? Like it was used as like a prop for the pictures. Do you think she had it or do you think someone put it in there as a prop when they were staging the house? I know she had it because I know the friend that gave it to her. And so I was like, well, clearly she's carrying it around. Which means she's not because it was used to the prop. But it was kind of cool to see it in those photos.
Starting point is 00:37:10 I did look at all the photos, too, in her kitchen. Like her dining area, she had a bunch of rock star paintings. They were, like, character rock stars. Like Bob Dylan, Elvis. It's pretty cool. That is cool. And that kitchen is where... We all read the article all the way to every line.
Starting point is 00:37:23 We're like, did you happen to see the quick mention? We're like, oh, yeah, did you see the washing dryer combo? Remember the shirtless picture of her husband is from that kitchen? Oh. I don't know. I don't have been a... Remember we talked about? It was a selling factor.
Starting point is 00:37:35 If you need a reason to treat yourself, I'm going to run through a list of things you can you know, treat yourself for real quick. Holidays, if you're feeling tired, if the sun's out and the weather's nice, you've completed a goal. This sounds like you just want to be treated. Exactly. If you opened your eyes.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I'm giving you permission. If you've been working really hard lately. If that tinkle was good. When you're on vacation, it's your birthday, or if you're feeling sick, treat yourself. I feel like that's a pretty dumb article. Why? Sometimes people listening right now, they just need permission.
Starting point is 00:38:06 You woke up this morning. Treat yourself. All right, that is? Yeah, so maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Okay, so this is cool. There's a mom and daughter team climbing Mount Everest. They're from Oklahoma, and they hope to become the first American mother-daughter team to reach the top. Wow. Which is, I mean, pretty extreme, especially considering that the mom's 61 and has asthma, and the daughter, Jess, recently recovered from ovarian cancer. But they decided all that they've been through, you know what? Part of their healing is coming together, going into the mountains,
Starting point is 00:38:49 and being able to enjoy each other and have fun and just love life. I wonder how hard that is to do now. Oh, my gosh. Because a lot of people do the mountain of earth climb. But some people do. We see it a lot. I wonder if this point has become such a tourist thing that you can take the escalator. No.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Is there a rope? I don't think so. No, you have to make your own ropes, right? You have to, like, attach things and then you pull. I mean, I don't know. I just watch that movie Everest, and it's scary. Is there an easy way? Like a, like when you see, yes, it's like the black, the blue, the green.
Starting point is 00:39:21 I don't know. But here's a clip of them talking about it. The possibility exists that we can get there, and that would be amazing. But, like, if we're not enjoying every single moment along the way, then, like, then we've missed the point almost. I think it's chopping out because they're on the mountain right now. I just Googled this. The death rate still of climbing Mount Everest is about 1%.
Starting point is 00:39:46 It's pretty safe. No, what about the loss of limbs or... It has many challenges, including extremely cold weather, low freezing temperatures, and difficult climbing conditions. You need to acclimate for a long duration the Everest Expedition's Expedition season begins in late March. Well, in that case, let's all go do it. No, it's not for me.
Starting point is 00:40:12 I just wonder at this point, after people have figured it out, if it's getting a little easier. Or if you can download an app. It's like, all right, go here. I don't know. It still seems crazy to me. Do they have a food stand up there somewhere? Oh, wow, nice.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Is somebody up there selling burgers? I don't know. I don't know. Anybody there were to climb out of Everest, let us know. Oh, yeah. All right, there you go. That's a good story, though. That's what it's all about.

Like iPhone will pick, we think this is the best frame you should go with, but if you want to slide it to the right or to the left, you can maybe get a different frame. And sometimes there's like a solid second of movement. Yeah, like the lives are fun to watch sometimes. A woman posted a video
Starting point is 00:44:49 because her boyfriend was in a hotel and sent her a picture of an empty bed and was like, I miss you. But he accidentally sent her a live photo. And at the very end of a live photo, you see another girl kind of show up. Yeah, she watched the whole frame. And she's like, the other girl, like, randomly jumps into the bed at the very last second. Like, thinking the picture's been taken, which it probably had, but the live frame picked her up. That live photo got him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:14 A woman named Serena posted the video saying, I'm a boyfriend, sent me a photo of an empty bed in a hotel room and saying, hey, he misses me. But when she pressed down, because that's when you kind of see it, live photo. Some random woman jumps onto the bed. You know, when someone sends you a live photo, it's almost like you're watching something you're not supposed to. Like you see the start of like, all right, we're getting, we're getting a picture. And then you get to see all that creepy. Yeah, no. I feel like live pictures are like.
Starting point is 00:45:38 Like I got one from my like my cousins the other day and they're all like, all right, we're taking a picture here. And then it stopped. And it was like, oh, weird. It's like I feel like I didn't want supposed to see that. I mean, it's just, it doesn't surprise me that this guy got busted that way. To clarify, you can't hear things. The way Eddie told the story. Yeah, you can.
Starting point is 00:45:54 In a live photo. It's like a video for. like a second. You can hear things in a live photo? Turn your volume up. Are you sure? Meemol. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:46:02 I saw it yesterday. Really? Okay, yeah. Meemol, I didn't know. I thought it was like a picture. It is, but also there's audio too. Oh. Hey, learn something new every day.
Starting point is 00:46:11 There you go. Let's go over to Amy and get the morning corny. The morning corny. Where do you take someone who has been injured in a peekaboo accident? Where do you take someone who has been injured in a peekaboo accident? The ICU. That was hilarious. Pretty good.
Starting point is 00:46:31 That was the morning corny. That was a good one. On the phone right now is Regina. Thank you for calling. What can I help you with? I want to say hi to y'all, and I listen to you every morning on my way to work. Thank you. I got in the car and you guys were talking about the guys cheat and the girls cheat.
Starting point is 00:46:50 So it's been a couple years ago, but my boyfriend was texting another one. and telling her she was beautiful and telling her he wanted this fear. He never did fear, but to him that wasn't cheating, but to me that was. Like, I think guys and girls, like, have a whole different, I don't know, I just don't think we see eye to eye on what cheating is. No, no, I'm a guy. I would burn his house down. That's cheating.
Starting point is 00:47:18 Yeah, that's cheating. That's at least lining up the cheat, which is just as bad. Because there is intention there. even if there's not, if you're texting someone secretly, not good. If there's human contact, you can do emotional cheating. If there's close, like personal contact and communication for any reason other than buds or business, those are the two Bs are okay. The other B is not.
Starting point is 00:47:46 You know what the other B is? No. Booty. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Buds and business are okay. Booty is not.
Starting point is 00:47:53 No, that's cheating. Regina, you're absolutely, what did you do? What did you tell him to get out of the house? What happened? I told him to text her and tell her that he was a stupid idiot. Yeah, did he? And that, yeah, actually he did, and he blocked her number. And it was a very long, hard road for like two years.
Starting point is 00:48:12 I put him through crap. Wait, are you together now? We are still together. I thought she said my ex-boyfriend, but. Hmm, well, that would be probably a good guy. I heard that. I heard that wrong. Listen, he made a mistake, right?
Starting point is 00:48:28 I know that I probably wouldn't have reacted the same way you did. I would have probably said, time to go. That's it. The end. Because I do feel like that was cheating. However, you're the one in your relationship. You're the one that gets to make your rules and you know if you believe him or not. Although I just worry.
Starting point is 00:48:43 I worry that if he did, I mean, the only reason he'd stop because he got caught. Well, and then, so as the two years have gone by, like do you think now, you said you kind of put him through a lot, which, yes, it's very, very difficult and hard, but have you been able to move on so that that isn't lingering there? Oh, I can tell it's lingering. She's calling it. It does still lingering. It does still linger.
Starting point is 00:49:08 I mean, but I will say that he has done anything that he could possibly do to ease my mind. Like, I'll say, I get up in the morning and I'm going to take your phone to work this week. Yeah, I'm just going to be in a relationship. I just couldn't be in that relationship. That's not healthy either. Like, I'm not, I don't think. No, it's not. I'll come in there.
Starting point is 00:49:30 I'm not an expert. Yeah, yeah. You have to either accept, forgive, and move on or not. One of the two, you can't just let us sit there in this purgatory. It's not healthy for either one of you. Right. Those doesn't say it's not fair for you to have to worry. And if you feel like he can still do it, why are you with them?
Starting point is 00:49:43 About his phone. Yeah. Well, listen, we did, Regina, we appreciate the call. We're not trying to pour gas on a flame that's just barely burning. But it seems. like there's some work that needs to be done here. Yeah, there is. Okay, well, maybe this is the kick in the pants you needed to get out there and do some work on that relationship one way or the other, okay?
Starting point is 00:50:03 Okay, thank you. All right, bye. Well, that did not go the way out. The karaoke company, Singing Machine, just released a list of the most popular karaoke songs and songs everybody should know. So we've got seven songs in a hat here. We'll have three performers, Amy, Lunchbox, and Eddie. All right. Oh.
Starting point is 00:50:20 We will see who pull through As the champion blind karaoke singer Wow Ray, me, you and Morgan will be the judges, all right? Okay. All right, up first, lunchbox Of the seven songs
Starting point is 00:50:32 You want to know what they are? Let me just pull one. I'd like to know what they are So I can kind of have an idea What I'm getting into But if you want to just pull it, pull it. I don't care. I'd knock every song out of the park.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Okay, he will be singing Blind karaoke, meaning no words He just has to go with what he fills in his heart. Oh, man. Old Town Road, Lil Nas X. I've heard that one before. He's going to walk over. We have a performance mic in the studio.
Starting point is 00:50:57 He's putting the headphones on. So we have the karaoke version and you will sing it. You'll have one minute of performing and if you don't know the words, which you probably won't, you just keep going. Don't even know how it starts.
Starting point is 00:51:05 Now, check this out. We're going to put reverb on your voices like we do our artist in here. Oh, nice. So just talk normal lunchbox. Hello, hello. How are you doing today? This is lunchbox here.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Whoa. Yeah. You just got good. Do I sound like Tim McGraw? You don't. No. Okay. Are we ready?
Starting point is 00:51:20 Ray Mundo. So from when he starts singing, he'll have 60 seconds. Hey, I'm a cowboy. I got a cowboy best off. And I got, I'm a horse. And I'm going down to that old town road in the backwood, the Kentucky. And the old. Akey, breaky heart.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Hoppity hoppity hop. Hoppity hop. Give me some Doritos. Oh, man, my nose is starting to run. Do you know how the song goes at all? No idea. You have no, like, I'm going to take my horse to the old town road. No, you didn't.
Starting point is 00:52:18 I said Doritos. I'm gone. You never. You did a Miley Cyrus. Shot out. Let's go over to the judges. Oh, boy. Guys, it's one through ten.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Ramundo, how do you think Lunchbox did? I give him a four for continuing to sings, but he never nailed any of the lyrics. Wasn't on beat. No melody. The reverb made it able to listen to, but a four is all I can do. Morgan? Yeah, I give him a five, mostly just because of the dance moves. But besides that, there were no words in some random pelvic thrust.
Starting point is 00:52:50 I said horse. Yeah, I give you a two. Oh, my gosh. We've heard the song if you would only went, I'm going to take my horse to the old town road. I'd been like, okay, at least he kind of knows. He didn't. So total score 11?
Starting point is 00:53:04 All right, give it up for lunchbox, blind. karaoke 11. I think I got to talk the song. How was that audio? Did it sound good? I thought it sounded awesome. Okay, just making sure. Sounded awesome? I mean, reverb-wise, not him.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Up next is Eddie. Oh, boy. Eddie, are you ready? Man, I would have nailed that last one. Of course. You would have top karaoke songs by the karaoke company. You have Taylor Swift, shake it off. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:53:34 That's so easy. I think I can do is it really? Yeah, you just say shake it off 100 times. Nope. Oh, did I miss? I miss the start. I missed the start. Can we start it over?
Starting point is 00:53:49 Nope. Oh. On my feet, they are too late. There's nothing in my brain. What? And that's what people say. Moving. Won't stop.
Starting point is 00:54:11 Can't stop moving. Mine keeps on boozing. A dancing feet. And the haters are going to hate, hey, hey, hey. And the shaker's gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. And the mover's gonna make, make, make, make, make. Shake it off, shake it off.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Ooh, whew, whew. Break is gonna break, break, break, break, break, break, break. And the faker's gonna fake, big, big, big, big, big, big. And I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. Shake it off, shake it off. Woo! More? Lightning on my feet!
Starting point is 00:54:48 That's what people eat. I can't even sleep. I can't even sleep. Time. Yeah. You have one minute for when you start. I feel good about that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:55:00 It's harder when you don't have words, right? That's really good, though. Thank you. Well, you did well. Morgan, what do you give Eddie? The enthusiasm was there, but I felt like I was watching like a rock star. Yeah. Want to be Taylor Swift.
Starting point is 00:55:15 But I still give you a seven because you nailed a lot of the words. Ray? I can't wait for Bobby Fest in September. Eddie is a performer. I thought he did really well staying on beat That was entertaining I would pay to watch that
Starting point is 00:55:27 That's what I'm talking about race Your number? Give him a seven maybe Oh, that's low I give you a six Six Yeah I thought maybe you would know a few more words Really?
Starting point is 00:55:37 I didn't expect you to get them all right Fake or fake fake fake Bake or bake bake bake bake I got it Eat a cake cake cake Yeah I give you a six A total score of 20 for Eddie
Starting point is 00:55:46 All right Yeah Do you want to hear the rest of the songs Amy that's in your drawing Bohemian Rhapsody shallow, lady Gaga. Yeah, okay. Sweet Caroline, Neil Diamond.
Starting point is 00:55:58 I'll help I get that. You do? Well, I feel like, yeah, sweet. Yeah. Party in the USA, Miley Cyrus. Oh, that one. Oh, that's the jam. I know.
Starting point is 00:56:07 That's the easy one. All right, here we go. You're not going to get that one, Amy. Your song is. Bohini Rhapsody Queen. Oh, this is tough. Yeah, it's tough. I think you're going to nail this one, Amy.
Starting point is 00:56:20 This is your jam. Hey, don't, don't, don't curse. You can do this. Don't you wear a queen shirt? No, she doesn't have a queen shirt. She's got other bands that she doesn't know, but not queen. All right, Amy, you have 60 seconds of blind karaoke. There is, I help lunchbox with this intro.
Starting point is 00:56:35 I'll give you six seconds to tell your intro. Mama just killed a man. Put the trigger on my head. Pull the trigger now she's dead. Mama. Life has just begun. We're just so lonely because you're gone. Oh, because nothing really matters without you, mom.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Time, there it is. Oh, man. That's pretty good. That's not bad. It's pretty good. Ray? Yeah, Eddie was slightly better, so I got to give Amy a six. It was a very, very difficult song.
Starting point is 00:57:57 She did well, but not as good as Eddie. Six. How is the reverb? Morgan? I mean, I feel like she nailed it for not knowing what she was doing. She took the mic off. So, I mean, I was moved. I give her an eight.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Wow. Okay. I thought it was as good as Eddie. I give you a six. Oh, thanks. Is that a tie? Oh, she wins. Wait, she wins, right?
Starting point is 00:58:19 Because Morgan gave her more than me. But Eddie, Mike, what? 2020. It is a tie. It is a tie. Oh, wow. Oh, Eddie. Your song quickly is.
Starting point is 00:58:31 Come on. Let me get up there. Sweet Caroline. Oh gosh. That's gonna be good. I don't know if I know this one. Here we go. Hit it Raimundo.
Starting point is 00:58:41 All right, this is for all the people in Boston. Let's go! I'm taking the mic off too. Where to begin? I may not know this song but I'm gonna hum it the best that I can. Nice. Yeah, thank you.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Where can I start? I love the world in my heart, but this song won't come to my brain. Oh, but I see hands, touching hands, reaching out, touching me, touching you. Be care of a lot. It seems so good, so good. So good time, Eddie. Time. Eddie's such a performer.
Starting point is 00:59:59 Amy, you're up. You have Miley Cyrus parted in the USA for the championship. We're just going to pick who we think did the best for the championship. Here we go for the championship. And Amy, Miley Cyrus, parted in the USA. Here we go. With my dream and a card again. Woo!
Starting point is 01:00:23 Welcome to the land of Fame X-Emm. Am I going to fit in? Everybody's here and I'm hopping into the cab. I don't know where I'm going to go, but I'm sad. Am I gonna get famous? Welcome to the land of Fame excess. Woo! Am I gonna fit in?
Starting point is 01:00:43 And a Jay-Z song was on. And a Jay-Z song was on. I brought my hands up. Jay-Z song. Oh, oh. J-s like, yeah. Doing the dips like you. All right.
Starting point is 01:01:04 There she is. Yeah. I don't know, guys. Okay. Close one. It is. I'm afraid. Ray, you got to pick a window there.
Starting point is 01:01:11 She looks for Eddie. Sorry, Eddie was good. Ray, pick a winner. Eddie was great. Hands down, he was my guy from the start to the finish. Eddie killed it. That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:01:20 Ray. Morgan. But I have to go with Eddie. And I go Eddie. Yeah. Say something with all your fans out there, Eddie. Hey, thank you so much. You can catch me at the Applebee's.

Starting point is 01:05:04 All right, so the question is, is Amy getting scammed out of money? Take us back to the beginning here. So my daughter was gifted a cat for Christmas. The thing is we had to get a very specific cat. And so we found this person that makes this hypoallergenic. Like it's a certified, like legit thing. It's not like a, you know, weird pet shop. Like it's a certified breeder.
Starting point is 01:05:24 So I thought I found online and they're in Louisiana. And you had to send a deposit because the cat hadn't been born yet. And then once the cat was born and then they weaned it off the mother, we would get it. Right. So in February, it took a while to figure that out. But in February, we finally sent the deposit. I had to send like a money order thingy. Oh, first up.
Starting point is 01:05:47 Money order? That's how Craig's list scams start. Send a money order. Yeah, I had to send money. And then, so my sister's allergic to cats. We're super excited about it. My daughter wants this very specific thing. We were waiting forever.
Starting point is 01:06:01 We finally got a note that the cat was born. And we were so pumped. But they're like, then you're going to need. to send the rest of the money. And we're like, well, can we see a picture of, like, the cats or the cat or what do you have? Then we get a note that the cat that had been reserved for us died. Oh, of course. So now we have to wait for the next cat, which will be-
Starting point is 01:06:22 But they have all your money, by the way. Not all of it. They just still have the deposit. I hadn't sent the rest yet because I wanted, like, a picture or video or something. Plus, I don't know. I'm supposed to drive to Louisiana to get the cat or something. They don't ship it. So I am like trying to figure all of it out.
Starting point is 01:06:39 And of course, my daughter is so excited. She thinks the cat's coming. Now the cat's dead. So I have to tell her, we're not getting the cat right now. It died. She's like, what? You know, like the mom sat on the cat or something or laid on it and then it couldn't breathe. That was the one cat that was reserved for us.
Starting point is 01:06:57 So now they say we can get on a list for another cat. In two to three months, they don't know how long. And so now in two to three months, what is that going to be? Like, blah. Now we're looking at like August or September. And you can't just go adopt a cat? We could go adopt a cat. But we have an adopted dog that has a lot of issues.
Starting point is 01:07:16 You have to have a special kind of cat because your dog is very sick. I've rescued a cat before my dog is very sick. She just has anxiety and emotional issues. And then my sister is allergic. So there's this specific kind of cat that we're all about getting and that it's like really calm, which we need a calm cat. If I go and rescue a cat, it could be bad for our dog. So that is the situation we're in, and I'm pretty sure that we're getting scammed. And my deposit is lost.
Starting point is 01:07:41 But what are you going to do now? I'm still waiting. I've still requested a photo and a video, so I'll give you an update. Of the dead cat? No, of like at least the litter of the cat, like the mama cat, the dad cat. Like, show me something. Can you find them on Facebook? Like this company?
Starting point is 01:07:55 Yeah. I mean, they say they're a legit. They have a website, everything. But I don't know. This could be part of their thing. and they could be, you know, people across all across the country last week's cat, quote unquote, died. And then they've got all these deposits. If this has happened to you or if you know anything about this, call our tip line.
Starting point is 01:08:15 877-77 Bobby. Unsolved mystery. I mean, it gets to the point I might say the person's name and business. Oh, okay, bully. Because I, no, I don't want to bully. But at this point, it's really bizarre that I have no. Lunchbox is a bully. Maybe lunchbox is call them.
Starting point is 01:08:31 number, I'll call them. Then we get sued. It'll be a whole thing. Oh. Lunchbox will call them. Yeah. Give me their number. And if you're out there and you know about this scam or if it's real, call us. We'd love to hear your input too. Okay? Yes. And I have talked to a lot of friends that are into, I just want to give this disclaimer too, that I am for adopting
Starting point is 01:08:47 and rescuing. This was just a special circumstance. And the way we're going about it is well received in the adopted and rescuing community. Okay. Because these cats are already born and it's through a respectable breeder that also might be a scammer. Which then are they a respectable reader at all?
Starting point is 01:09:05 Oh, no, probably not. No, there's no cats. There's no cats. There's no cats anywhere. All right, call us if you know about this 877-Bobby. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Damn it's something good.
Starting point is 01:09:20 This dog named Arrow has been in a New Jersey animal shelter for eight months. People come in, adopt dogs, and no one would give Arrow the time a day. But one volunteer, Deb Bucci was like, there is something special about Arrow. Started doing some research, got him into a training program, and now he's a police canine dog. Wow. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:09:42 We've got to send Ella back to training. Two weeks? For something specific? It's just struggling. Yeah, so is mine dog. Just struggling. I mean, when she's by herself, she's fine. whenever it's her and Stanley
Starting point is 01:09:59 they're fine for a bit and then she just attacks them oh and so we're kind of back to that she'd gotten a little better but now she's kind of regressed a bit it's all resource guarding we know we'll be able to figure it out but we have tried
Starting point is 01:10:12 I mean if I have to watch another YouTube video to learn how to train these dogs for this I'm gonna go crazy but finally I just called the people I know they're like hey I gotta go to American Idol for a week will you please keep her and train her because somebody's got to keep her anyway and they're like yeah sure
Starting point is 01:10:25 so she's gonna go back we're gonna get there eventually. Or somebody's going to die. It might be me. Whenever she goes, because she's now bigger than Stanley, who's a bulldog, but she's now taller than him. And she can just take him over and goes to town. But luckily, when I grab her, she doesn't try to bite me. That's good. She's just like, okay, well, I guess this is over. She's a good dog except for like resource guard. It just stinks right now because it's every day. We have to keep them separated at certain times. What does resource guarding mean? She has something? It's hers. And nobody can touch it.
Starting point is 01:10:51 And if you have something and she wants it, she takes it. If you start to take it back, it's hers. And nobody can have it. Okay. Just clarifying. She grew up on the street. street. So we're going to get her there and hopefully she'll be a police dog. That would be awesome. All right. That's a good story. That's what it's all about. Thank you. That was tell me something good. What's happening, guys? The question is, is Amy getting scammed by the woman that says she has a cat for her? Because you paid money down on this cat. A deposit. Cat deposit in February. And you bought this cat because it's a hypoallergenic, some kind of cat.
Starting point is 01:11:27 a cat, yes, that's going to fit our family's needs better than just rescuing a cat. And I, too, I have rescued a cat in the past, and it did not go over well. And I don't want to go through that again. But because of our rescued dog, she does have issues. So we just need to be careful. But my daughter desperately wants a cat, so we're trying to make it happen. So you put this money down. And they go, oh, the cat died.
Starting point is 01:11:52 And you're like, wait, I never even saw the cat. I see you this deposit. You never saw a picture or nothing. And so they're like, well, another one's born, we'll let you know. But they're not giving you a refund on your deposit. No. So the question is, is Amy getting scammed? We have a bunch of people on here.
Starting point is 01:12:06 Caitlin and Tampa, thank you for calling the show. Is Amy getting scammed? Morning. Okay. So my family, I grew up with my family, my whole life, raising Wattweiler and breeding them. So not the same with a cat. But yes, the deposit is completely normal, but you should have gotten, like, pictures and stuff of what your cat was going to be. And you could have even picked from them.
Starting point is 01:12:39 That's the way it's always worked for us that you can pick from the litter. I've never heard of you're just going to get whatever cat they want to give you. That's weird to me. You never had a picture. Never had a picture. Even though the cat was alive. Okay, so we were told before I guess the cats were born, maybe six people were in line for this litter. And apparently we were number six.
Starting point is 01:13:01 So that's why the one cat that died, we didn't, that's why we lost the cat. Somebody else didn't lose the cat because we were the last people to give a deposit. Let's go over and talk to Carrie in Arkansas, who was on the phone. Carrie, appreciate your call on. What do you want to say to Amy? Hi, morning, studio. Morning. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:13:21 I've been so excited I finally got through. So I purchased a cat from a breeder in a different state because I did want a specific type of cat. And I did have to send the deposit, but they wanted me to write it out as a check so that it could be tracked. And I got pictures and videos pretty often of my cat just because I wanted me to bond with my cat. I've gotten nothing. Like nothing. If you had to put your money on it, would you say you've been scammed? If that's the case, I honestly am going to be super depressed.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Like, I'm almost getting choked up because this has been such an ordeal. Like, I didn't know getting a cat was going to be so hard. And I know this doesn't sound like a huge deal, but it would be something that would be, like, great for the kids right now and my family. And it's something we, you know, gave a coupon for at Christmas time. Oh, like you gave them, say, hey, we have a cat. We have a specific kind of cat. It was the Christmas gift because it's definitely a gift. We're not just like getting a cat like this.
Starting point is 01:14:21 So I thought we had done our due diligence, and there was several we were looking into. And I'm like, if I seriously went with the one that's going to be a scam, because then here's the thing. So many people, other lists or people that I talk to you, there was a year waiting list. But this one was faster. I know. Like saying that out loud, another sign that maybe we got scammed. I don't know. I'm sensitive.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Are you having a rough morning? I had a rough night last night. You went here? Yeah. I just can take it off you so you don't cry. Sure. This is me right here. I'm just plugging the hole for a second over there on her.
Starting point is 01:14:56 Good job. Thank you. My dog would not stop barking. Stanley, I don't... Two things. One, we had a door that was broken that we couldn't get closed last night. Which is scary to me because it's just like open. Somebody comes up to the house.
Starting point is 01:15:10 We couldn't get the door shut. Then the dog's barking all night. So I'm thinking someone's breaking in that door. I couldn't sleep. I wake up. Some kind of sinus head. I come in, Amy's crying over a cat. It's more so for my kids, not because of the cat.
Starting point is 01:15:25 We have this light in our house that is motion sense. You walk by and go, it comes on. And Stanley, we go walking around the house and just turns it on every night. Every night. It's probably fun for him. He's like, here I go. Watch this, guys. He probably thinks there's something crazy special he does to make it turn on.
Starting point is 01:15:43 You feel a little better, though? I do feel better. Thank you. And maybe I should just say the kind of cat that I want in case anybody has one. Is that a lion? No. Like at this point, I don't know what she, is she in that whole Tiger King cult where they're passing around those cats? No, this is a legit cat, but it's called a Balinese.
Starting point is 01:16:02 Okay. So I'm just throwing that out there maybe in case any of our listeners happen to know of one that might be available. And why did you want this kind of cat? It is considered in one of the lists. Like the only cat that's truly hyperalogenic, I think, is the hairless one. I had one of those. You did? No, I had a hairless rat.
Starting point is 01:16:19 At two harrow's rats. They looked the same. One's just a little bigger. I mean, yeah, basically. Yeah, that's true. So, and then this is on a list. Like my daughter, she did all the research and found out the ones and, you know, narrowed it down. And that was the pick.
Starting point is 01:16:32 And so, and also the demeanor that this breeder promised us would be calm. They wasn't even born yet. Well, I know. But I guess. When we got Ella, they were like, we adopted Ella, they were like, yeah, she's great. She's passive. She's chills. No problem.
Starting point is 01:16:47 No way. We got her. She was the exact opposite. Okay, well, I'm sorry, Amy. That's okay. We'll figure it out. Thank you for all the calls. Thank you for the calls.
Starting point is 01:16:53 Let's go over and do the news. Bobby's Big. Stories. I will start with talking about Chick-fil-A. They will start limiting how many sauces people can get because of a shortage of sauces. Wow. So you can't go up and be like, I'd like eight honey mustards. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:12 To stock up your door at home. However, I did see that they sell these at the grocery store now. Did you see that? They have them in bottles. I bought them. Yeah. Say goodbye to that extra. Chick-fil-A sauce, at least for now, they're limiting the number of sauces that customers can
Starting point is 01:17:22 receive with their meal because of industry-wide supply chain shortages. The thing about shortages is gas, too. I saw in Atlanta, like half the gas stations were empty. Yep. Like, there are no gas. I saw a bunch of lines yesterday. Here? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:37 Really? Yeah, like over in our neck of the woods. Is there something to worry about there? Well, I don't know. This is what happened. Over the weekend, it's been a few days. Some hackers got into the like the supply line. And they were like, all your...
Starting point is 01:17:53 The pipeline. Yeah, they're like, we've taken all your info. Like, if you want it back, give us some money. And so they hacked into... And so the government's like, what's happening here? Oh, boy. So all that shutdown caused what's happening now. Got it.
Starting point is 01:18:07 So, yes, there could be a little wrinkle here in our neck, as Amy would say. So people are freaking out. There are long lines all over the place. in Atlanta, again, they said half the gas stations did not have any gas at all. Here's a bit that Scova Steve suggested. He wrote this. I haven't seen any issues here in Tennessee yet. But people online are freaking out over long lines. Oh, this was a different one.
Starting point is 01:18:33 The other one was Lunchbox's car, that one, that one that I thought was funny. So they sent out yesterday all of these cars and when your car tank hits E, how long it'll go, until it actually dies. Oh, yeah, mine's a while. Well, and Lunchbox has a Nissan Ultima, and it makes the list. Once you hit E and that light comes on, you have 81 to 114 miles. Wow. No doubt. Yeah, I go days.
Starting point is 01:18:56 Days. This is what on the gas light. Scoobber wrote about this. Should we have them go out and hit the road, have them drive around on the E light, and check in throughout the show to see when he runs out? That's pretty funny. Yeah. Follow me.
Starting point is 01:19:09 But I told him someone has to chase him around with a gas can. Yeah, someone's got to follow behind me. You'll follow him, Steve? I'll be the nice guy with the can. Yeah. I mean, he can just do loops around here. But the thing is, we should make bets on when he dies. Like the time frame?
Starting point is 01:19:23 Yeah, well, you know, it's like draft kings, you know what? Love it. You know, I pick Mile 85. I pick Mile 87. That's funny. That might be a pretty funny bit. All right, there you go. Chick-fil-A, no gas.
Starting point is 01:19:34 And then I saw Raymundo's wife now tweeting out that cicadas, what are they called? Cicadas are coming to kill us. Thank you. No, she was still on your team going, we're all going to die of cicadas. Yeah, she was so upset that people weren't heating our advice and the warnings that I was giving about these cicadas. So, right, get an umbrella. Even if it's sunny out, I'm telling you, I'll be the guy telling you, I told you so. She had tweeted a story.
Starting point is 01:19:58 Do you remember the story? It was like cicadas are everywhere at night. Like, you can't even walk outside. Well, and they're also very loud. Sometimes they sound like a jet engine. It's difficult to talk to people outside. You almost got to just stay in your home. I'm scared.
Starting point is 01:20:10 Ray makes it sound like a horror movie. Jet engine. Yeah. She lived through it, so that's the thing. She lived through it. It's not like World War. Two. All right, Ray, close the news down.

I was reading this article about Jeff Bezos, the Amazon guy, and what all the ridiculous stuff is, he's bought wild. And some people are mad at him.
Starting point is 01:24:15 The guy earned his money. Right. Yeah, it's his. It's not like, listen, if Prince Harry was doing it, and I would be like, you know what? This kid had all the money given to him. But it didn't. Jeff Bezos went out and created something.
Starting point is 01:24:27 Yeah, and we continue to give him more money every day. Something I like, too. I know. So here are seven of the craziest, over-the-top things that he has spent with all of his money. He is the world's richest man. Number one, a massive clock that ticks once a year. We talked about this.
Starting point is 01:24:45 It's in a mountain somewhere, right? I think in Texas. In 2018, he unveiled a $42 million investment. It's a 10,000-year clock that's supposed to symbolize long-term thinking. The 500-foot-tall mechanical clock will be powered by day and night thermal cycles and is synchronized at solar noon. But it's in a mountain. He's just bored.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Yeah. You can't even see that clock. You just know it's there. It takes once a year. So once a year. That's crazy. The next one. The largest ever real estate deal in New York City.
Starting point is 01:25:20 Shortly after he split from his ex-wife, McKenzie Scott, he celebrated the divorce by purchasing three apartments overlooking Madison Square Park for $80 million. Wow. The largest apartment deal to ever close in the Big Apple. I mean, think about that. The real estate team. The money they're getting for them. Champagne. I wonder if they still get, you know, because each side gets three percent.
Starting point is 01:25:43 on a usual deal, 6% total, I think. I mean, that's crazy. That's a great weekend. He bought one of the fastest commercial jets in the world. He spent 65 million bucks on a jet. And then an undisclosed amount when decking out the interiors. It's a Gulfstream G650 ER, one of the fastest jets to ever be made. Nice.
Starting point is 01:26:06 Do you know anything about planes that your husband's pilot? Like, when I say that, do you know? Oh, yeah. I mean, I know that a G6 is. like, yes. Oh, that's a G6? Like a G6. Like a G6.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Like a G6. I'm pretty sure whatever he has going on with that, my husband would describe that plane as sexy. What? Interesting. I know. A historic museum he wanted as a home. He bought an old Washington textile museum for $23 million so he can convert it into a
Starting point is 01:26:36 27,000 square foot building into a private home. He bought the Whole Foods grocery store. chain. 13.7 billion. Oh yeah, that's right. That was probably an investment though, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:47 More than... That was a clock. An investment in life and time. That was a business. Yeah. He has his very own rocket ship company similar to Elon Musk.
Starting point is 01:26:55 They invested about a billion dollars into it and then a newspaper. He bought the Washington Post for 250 million bucks. He owns the Washington Post? Uh-huh. That's crazy. Did he put this story out about himself? Probably.
Starting point is 01:27:06 Paid me. Isn't that wild? Like, he just has so much money that transactions, that's not a thing to him. It's just what he wants. It's never how much is that. No, not at all.
Starting point is 01:27:20 It's, what would I like to have? So he never asked, is that the best deal you can give me? He may have people that do that. He may Dave Ramsey them a bit. Yeah, who knows? He may have gotten a deal on those apartments for $80 million. Doesn't sound like it. You don't make a lot of money by doing dumb things over and over again.
Starting point is 01:27:36 The guys have made some brilliant business decisions. It is when people are like, oh, Look at all here, I can't believe he can buy that. I'm a big fan of capitalism. I think he probably, we could probably find a way to, you know, have him take care of a couple other places too. Like there's, okay, if you're going to buy you a crazy jet tax, why don't go help mount buying Arkansas tax? But again, I'm just big on if you make it and you earn it, it's yours. And then, like, people that are mad about that money, it's so relative that like there's always going to be people ahead of you or behind you on the money scale.
Starting point is 01:28:12 Not ahead of Jeb Bezos. Well, not ahead of him. He's number one in that race. But that might have strong opinions about what you're spending your money on. I do want to mention this. Eddie went to the mall yesterday. And we'll be careful with our languidger for sure. For sure.
Starting point is 01:28:26 You go into the mall and what happens? I'm with my kids and we walk into a store. It's a shoe store. And we're in there for like about five seconds. And they're playing Wop. You know that song? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:38 Unedited. I don't know what Ray's playing here, but it's unedited. And if you know this song, they start saying every dirty word you can think of. In the store, it's extremely obscene, vulgar. This is 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Like, I just picked them up from school and they're going. It's like a nightclub in there.
Starting point is 01:28:55 And I'm like, look at the kids. They don't notice the thing. So I'm like, all right, guys. I think there's another shoe store down there. We're going to get out of here. What did the store start with? F. Oh, oh my goodness.
Starting point is 01:29:06 I was in one. Okay. Well, I don't want to say too much. Go ahead. Okay. Because I don't think it was the important. have been a customer that smelled this way or the employees or whatever, but I walked
Starting point is 01:29:16 in and there was like a nice playlist going, not Wop, but it totally smelled like, you know what, like smoking the I smelled like underarm in cycling class last night. Oh. You got, realize they didn't put on deodorant.
Starting point is 01:29:31 Oh. Like I walked in and I was like, man, something does not smell good. And Caitlin goes, it's you. It's you. And I was like, oh, I know. I know. I know. So I took and I acted like I was scratching my face with my, my bicep and I was like, go into a scratch? And I was like, oh my God, it is me.
Starting point is 01:29:45 And she was like, take my towel. Because they put towels on the bikes, take my towel and wipe your armpits. Oh, no. And so she gave me her towel and wiped it and put it on the floor. And then she goes, I'm going to take one for the team. And now you can use that. I sweat a lot, ride the bike. And so she didn't have a towel, but I smelled to high heaven.
Starting point is 01:29:59 Oh, man. If you go to the bathroom there, like the male locker room, do they have, like, deodorant spray? I've never been in the bathroom or locker room. I try to avoid the bathroom and locker room. Well, I mean, I was just thinking you could take a bathroom break next time and go see if you could spray someone. The class was just about to start. And when the lights go out in that class, that cycle, I don't leave. If the men's room
Starting point is 01:30:17 doesn't have it, the women's room normally does, you could just pop in there. I'm terrible at that, like, the dancing part of it, though. Because it's like... You have to dance on the bike? Well, it's not dancing, but there's all these choreographed moves. Like, elbows out, elbows in, dip, body roll. Like, you're cycling, but all, and then they're like, left, right, left, right.
Starting point is 01:30:33 And I'm looking around, I'm like, I'm always a step behind. And Kailen's just killing it. And she's like, woo-hoo! Like doing every... I'm a... I'm, I'm terrible. I'm looking at the person in front of me and I'm watching them in the mirror. Then they think I'm creepy because I'm watching them, but I'm only trying to watch their elbows to see which way they're going. That's a good workout, though, that cycle
Starting point is 01:30:51 class is. We're talking about the gas shortage, especially in the northeast. And I mentioned Atlanta was struggling. Amy said she saw some big lines here where we live, but nothing crazy yet in the news. Yeah, nothing crazy. Just busy. Tom and North Carolina is on right now.
Starting point is 01:31:09 Hey, Tom, what's going on with you? Hey Bobby, good morning, studio. Morning. Yeah, I just wanted to update you guys. I heard you talking about the gas shortage. This morning before I left the house, it's showing three quarters of our gas stations have no gas. I've been riding around for 20 minutes trying to find gas. I have about a quarter of a tank left, and I just found a station, and I'm in line waiting.
Starting point is 01:31:37 How long is that line? It was about 20 cars long when I got here And now I'm about 10 Wow But it's definitely serious I hope they resolved this this weekend Because if not I don't know what we're going to do
Starting point is 01:31:53 What are we going to say? I just saw as wow Like it's crazy that he Like left his house this morning And is now on the hunt to find gas And he's using so much gas trying to find gas 20 cars deep Yeah
Starting point is 01:32:06 Like you'd be scared there won't be any left when you get up there Dang, good luck, Tom. I wish I could help you with something, but it won't help. If I gave him a marathon gas gift card, he wouldn't be able to use it. You know what I mean? Yeah. Dang. All right, well, bud, thanks for sharing with us.
Starting point is 01:32:19 It gives us a better idea what's happening out there. Yeah, it's serious. So you guys need to start preparing because if it hits you up there, I'm supposed to go on vacation next week to Gatlinburg, and I don't know what we're going to do now. Hopefully it will be resolved by then. Yeah, we're going to hope for that. All right, bud, have a good day.
Starting point is 01:32:36 Sorry. Okay. Thanks, Bob. All right. See you later. You call me Bob? Yeah. That's how close we are.
Starting point is 01:32:42 Nobody calls me Bob. Just you and him. Hey, Bob. You know what he's struggling right now? I'm going to let that slide. Evan in Florida. You're on the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on, man?
Starting point is 01:32:53 Hey, man. How you doing, Bobby? Doing pretty good. Good, good. Hey, thanks for all you all do. Yeah, you're welcome. What can I do for you? I just want to say, I was calling in about the shortage.
Starting point is 01:33:08 that you were talking about, I worked for a company that delivered controlling products. And, you know, I think the shortage is because people are just running out and buying everything they can,
Starting point is 01:33:23 just like with toilet paper, you know? If they go about their normal day, there shouldn't be a problem, you know? You know, I made that comparison during that last break with the show. I was like, hey, if everybody just plays it cool, we probably don't have this shortage near as bad, but the toilet paper comparison is the one I made.
Starting point is 01:33:41 Everybody says, going, well, we better get toilet paper. And then everybody else is going, well, if they're getting all the toilet paper, we're going to have no toilet paper. So we need to go get toilet paper. Same thing's happening with gas right now. But it's hard to tell somebody, hey, play it cool when you're like, why am I playing a cool? Nobody else is playing it cool.
Starting point is 01:33:52 And if I play it cool, there's not going to be any gas left. Right. Yeah. A shout out. Hey, Evan, let me shout out to you. And, you know, all you guys out there that are working in this industry, delivering gas and petroleum products. You guys, you know, have quite the burden on you right now.
Starting point is 01:34:07 That is true. The hours that our crew is working right now is ridiculous. Well, appreciate the heads up, man, and good luck out there. Yeah, thank you. Y'all have a good day. All right, see you. You too. You want to play this game? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:21 Yes, let's go. Isolated vocal game. I'll give you the vocals from the famous first line of a song. All you have to do is give me the title of the song. They get harder and harder. If you miss it, you are eliminated. Got it? Got it.
Starting point is 01:34:33 Should be fun. Here we go. Action. I can steal shut. down the party I can still shut down the party Yeah, I got that one. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 01:34:51 I think. I know who it is, but... I can still shut down the party. Once I get one song in my head, it's really hard to get it out. You still on, bring your fire over there? All right, guys need an answer. Okay.
Starting point is 01:35:12 Amy? Lunchbox. Amy, it's a lot. Ryan artist, but it's tequila. That's tequila. It is. It is. I can still shut down party. I can hang with anybody.
Starting point is 01:35:30 When I take tequila. And I spend 10,000 hours. Literally kill it. No, literally kill it. We're no one want to hear it ever again. All right, next up. I got that real good, feel good stuff. Up under the feet of my big black jacked-up truck.
Starting point is 01:35:48 Amy, I see you writing your answer now, but you've been eliminated. Oh. Yeah. You're really giving it the effort. I like that. She can write it down to. Sure. Keep it for your records.
Starting point is 01:35:57 Okay. Dear Diary, I wrote these down today on the show. They didn't count. I got that real good, feel good stuff. Up under the seat of my big black jacked-up truck. Luke takes a lot of big breaths in that song, isn't it? Yeah, he does. And I didn't realize how distorted it that was.
Starting point is 01:36:18 All right, lunchbox. My Kind of Party. Eddie. My Kind of Night. Oh, no. I think it's called That's My Kind of Night. I've got that real good feel. It is because that's what I have in my diary.
Starting point is 01:36:33 But I'm going to give it to you. Yeah. That's right. I didn't get last. I expected to get last in that one, so I'm very proud of my performance. Good for you. Let's go. You're welcome. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:36:43 All right, Eddie. It's down to two. Let's go. Next one up. Go ahead. We were both young when I first saw you. I close my eyes and the flashback starts. I'm standing there.
Starting point is 01:36:56 I got two drops on my guitar. We were both young when I first saw you. I close my eyes. And the flashback starts, I'm standing there. There were two drops on my guitar. Eddie's trying to close his ears. Dang it. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 01:37:19 I have a song, but I don't think that's it. Is it? Yeah. Go ahead. I have, let me write it down. You can say it. It's just me and you. I have our song.
Starting point is 01:37:29 It's not it. No, because that's a little more banjo. Our song is screams indoors. Sneak and how late tapping on my window. No. What do you have? We were both young and I first saw you. I closed my eyes and the song is called Love Story.
Starting point is 01:37:45 Love story. Love story. Young when I first saw you, I closed my eyes. And the flashback starts I'm standing there This is the Romeo and Juliet Yeah Yeah, dang it
Starting point is 01:37:59 Never loved I'm sorry It's a good song So are we all back in? No, I won Can we just all start over? We can do a couple other ones Yeah, but can we all acknowledge? Oh

Starting point is 01:38:31 Free fall in. Good. Good. Good. She's a good. I can almost see it. That dream I'm dreaming, but there's a voice inside my head saying, you'll never reach it. You guys have that one?
Starting point is 01:38:48 All right. First line. One, two, three. The climb. The climb. Eddie, no, out. Yeah. Eddie's out.
Starting point is 01:38:58 All right, we'll play a second round. How many do we have? Okay, four more. Wow, Eddie went home first. Wow. See ya. In the consolation game, let's be real. Eddie.
Starting point is 01:39:09 Not a good luck, though, Brian. Come on. Hey, bro. Not a good luck. Oh, man. All right, here we go. Next one. Yeah, I was always a crazy one.
Starting point is 01:39:17 Broke into the stage. and I wrote your number on a 50 yard line. Yeah, I was always a crazy one. Broke into the stadium. And I wrote your number on a 50 yard line. Ready? What? One, two, three.
Starting point is 01:39:41 How do you like me now? How do you like me now? How do you know? No. I'm broken into the stadium And I wrote your number On a 50 yard line All right, we got to go a little quicker on these
Starting point is 01:39:51 Okay Next one When you try your best But you don't succeed When you get what you want But not what you need All right, ready One, two, three
Starting point is 01:40:07 The physicist The physicist Amy, you're thinking of a scientist The scientist I'm so close. All right. What was it? Lunchbox and Bobby?
Starting point is 01:40:17 Oh, that was Fix you? Oh, gosh. They may make a Disney movie out of this if lunchbox wins. It's one of the greatest underdog stories of all time. Yeah. All right, here we go. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Starting point is 01:40:35 Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Ready? I mean, Bobby's got the real life. this. So lunch, come on. Yeah. Ready? Yeah. One, two, three. Oh, he be a rap city.
Starting point is 01:40:49 Amy just Sunday. Yeah, she did. Like hour ago. Okay, next up. She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene. I said, don't mind, but what do you mean? I'm in. I'm into one, two, three. Billy Jean.
Starting point is 01:41:07 Oh my goodness. This is crazy. This is crazy. How many more are there, Mike? One and a tiebreaker. So two? Oh, boy. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:41:17 Who thought I did? They roll the sidewalks in this town all up after the sun goes down and say nothing good happens here when midnight rolls around. They roll the sidewalks in this town all up after the sun goes down and say nothing good happens here when midnight rolls around. You don't write it down? I know it. I don't have a pin, then. Dang, it's a... Ready?

Starting point is 01:42:12 Yeah, go. Do you edit? Basket case. Nice. Yeah. I didn't win one. The way. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:18 Last place. Okay. Nice job. Well, I guess I won, though, huh? You did. So go ahead. Hit it. Hey, hey, let me have my...
Starting point is 01:42:27 You don't do hay, I do hey. Hey! You're unbelievable. I can check myself out of music games if you guys want. No, no, no, no. I think it'd be such a great story of anyone can beat you. That's what I don't like, though. Like, if I win, nobody cares.
Starting point is 01:42:43 lose, it's a big news. Yeah, it's like beating Tom Brady, dude. It's like singing the national anthem. You should elaborate. People don't get offended. Oh. And I just yell. That's like, go ahead. Oh, sorry. You often say that if you have a great performance, it's like, okay, cool. Like, people
Starting point is 01:43:00 move on. But if you mess up, it's like, whoa, everybody notices. Yeah, people expect you to do great. So when you nail it, it's like, okay, go wait's back to that. All right, what's next? But if you mess up, it's like post. All right, thank you very much. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private,

Taking care of your yard can feel weirdly overwhelming. Sunday is a yard care company that builds a custom plan based on your soil and climate, then sends you exactly what your yard needs. No harsh chemicals, just nutrient dense ingredients. You apply with a hose. It's designed to make yard care feel doable.
Starting point is 01:46:32 Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com This story of the day. This story comes to us from Cambridge, Massachusetts. Police responded to a call, someone broke into a car, stole a dog. They couldn't find it. Next day, the news is out there doing a story when the guy that stole the dog came walking the dog. No way.
Starting point is 01:46:59 And they interview him on the news. We start asking the man a few questions, and he admits to taking the animal. He was just barking in the car. and I walked past the car and I thought I was supposed to do dog walking. It wasn't a kidnapping. It was just a simple mistake. He thought he said dog walker, so he said, oh, I thought that dog was saying he wanted to be walked. He thought the dog was talking to him?
Starting point is 01:47:19 Walk me, walk me. Why did he walk the dog near a camera? He walked right by the crime scene. They were doing it, and he just walked it and they said, hey, can we talk to you? He's like, yeah. And they asked him about the dog. And he said, oh, yeah, I took it, but the dog was barking in the car. How long from the walk to the steel?
Starting point is 01:47:35 24 hours. Okay, so there's something wrong. It was in his neighborhood. He probably thought the news is there for something else. He don't walk by where you stole the dog from. Listen, I don't know. That's why he's a bonehead. Okay.
Starting point is 01:47:47 I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. So I read this article where I was like, hey, if you buy 10 scratchoffs all connected, that's your real chance to win. Big money. And so if you go to my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones, I did that with some heavy tickets.
Starting point is 01:48:01 And I'm starting to get into a place I don't feel good about this bit anymore. Wait, because it's too expensive? You're in the hole? You can go watch it, but yeah, it ain't good. Oh, man, bone. It ain't good. But there's like 150,000 people that have watched this segment.
Starting point is 01:48:12 It's crazy what people will watch. And so one of my, well, one of Caitlin's friends who I know sent her a message on Instagram was like, hey, I was kind of inspired about Bobby's experiment here. So I went to buy two $5 scratchers. And she was like, I won $500. Oh. I haven't. I haven't. I haven't.
Starting point is 01:48:30 I'm so annoyed by it. Hey, Heidi and Colorado Springs. You are on the air. Thank you for calling. What's going on, Heidi? Good morning, Bobby Bone. Good morning. And good morning to your whole studio. I just wanted to call and tell you that this weekend was Mother's Day. And I could not think of anything to get my mom and sister for Mother's Day.
Starting point is 01:48:53 And you've been talking for the last couple weeks about your lottery odds or your scratch-off ticket odds. Yes, I don't play the lottery. I just do scratch-offs. Yes, go ahead. Yeah, just a scratch-off. But I was like, you know what? I'm going to do that. So I went down and I bought my mom and my sister $10, $20 scratch-offs each. And they were all connected. And we got $55, $50 exactly out of all of them.
Starting point is 01:49:21 So you spent $400 and you got $50 back. So you lost $350. Yes. So the odds are not exactly 100% on that one. We were all excited to you. My mom, I've been telling my mom and sister about your show and about what you've been doing. And so my mom left all of the winnings untratched. So we were all excited not knowing what we were going to get.
Starting point is 01:49:41 And then it comes down to $50. Yeah, my advice would be don't buy scratchoffs. I have to keep on with my social experiment. But my advice would be not to, I have to keep going until I win something bigger than a hundred bucks. It is influencing. Obviously, callers people, listeners. Oh, I have artists that are hitting me up going, oh, yeah, we've seen you do scratchoffs on camera. It makes us want to do on camera.
Starting point is 01:50:00 I thought about it at the gas station the other day, but I didn't, I couldn't buy a lottery ticket on my credit card. It's got to be cash. Right. So I didn't get me, but I mean, you've influenced me. I bought three last night. Scratchers? I did.
Starting point is 01:50:12 I don't play lottery. No, scratchers. $2 scratchers. And? I want just a ticket, a free ticket. Yeah, that's always. Yeah. So I'll do that today, I guess.
Starting point is 01:50:20 Did Vanderbilt ask you to throw out a first pitch at the baseball game? Apparently. Oh, you don't, you didn't know? No, they did. They reached out. But, I mean, I guess they reached out to Scoobo Steve and then he reached out to me. And I was like, ugh. I think I'm going to have to pass on that for now, but it's super thoughtful of
Starting point is 01:50:34 them to think of me. Why would you not go to do that? I just, it's just not something, I don't know, the nerves, like it would make me really nervous. Like, I don't know when the games are. I just feel like I have a lot going on right now. It's like not what I need to add. You just don't want to do it. It's not what I need to add to my plate. But, I mean, it would be pretty cool to do something like that. I got offered. So, yeah, I said yes. Oh, wait, you did? I did. I didn't want to bring that up. Wait, when did they get offered after I said, though? Probably the same time you did. They offered all of us, different games. Scoot, what happened there?
Starting point is 01:51:06 Yeah, so in sales, they reached out, and they first wanted Bobby to do it. Yeah, by the way, I got offered to there before I trickled down. But I wasn't going to say that. I don't know. I was like. How cool they want a woman out there. Well, then you were next as well. So you're next on the line.
Starting point is 01:51:20 Then I went down to the reserves to Eddie and lunchbox and Ray. What the reserves say? They're all down except for Ray. Ray doesn't want to do it? He doesn't want to do it because it's too late at night and he has to get up so early in the morning. That's true. So Ray is a valid excuse. Okay.
Starting point is 01:51:33 But you guys are going to do it? I'm down, absolutely. Same game or different game? Oh, it better be a different game. I'm not sharing the spotlight. No, it's not like you do that around the robin. Yeah, come on now. Every single game for the end of the season, which I think is the 22nd. Ray was throwing in a pitching machine at like Dave and Busters through 77 miles an hour. Yeah, well, it was 73, but thank you for that.
Starting point is 01:51:51 But it is pretty dope. That's a brand new game at Dave and Busters. You can actually bring back the MLB, the Major League Baseball juices, and see how fast you can throw. It's pretty dangerous, but pretty crazy. I can't believe they let people throw that fast in Dave and Busters. That fast. Well, I mean, Isn't it protected?
Starting point is 01:52:06 It's contained. It's not like their kit. It ain't contained. When Beezer was thrown it, she was hitting people left and right. Strollers are all over the place. Okay. I don't know what Ray's talking about.
Starting point is 01:52:18 On yesterday's show, we talked about awkward problem stories from us here in the room. You can hear that on the podcast, just search for Bobby Bone show. But Morgan, you asked people for their stories online? Yeah, and they shared all their awkward, crazy stories in our comment section on Facebook.
Starting point is 01:52:31 All right, so give me a few of them. Kristen shared that prom got her pregnant. I bet that happened for a lot of people. Oh, man. Right, don't you think that happened for a lot of people? Probably. I don't know. I don't know of any, but I'm...
Starting point is 01:52:43 Me neither. Where do you think people get more pregnant? Prong or Vegas. Vegas. You think? Oh, yes. All right, what else, Morgan? Alyssa shared that she hated prom because she went to school with the governor's kids.
Starting point is 01:52:56 So the governor was a chaperone, and that meant the secret service was there all night. And basically their prom was surrounded by the government. governor and everything had to change because of the governor. Flex. Weren't you friends with the governor's kid? Yes. So they went to my school, but I was a senior when they were juniors. So they, one of them maybe had gone as a date to our prom.
Starting point is 01:53:14 I'm not sure. But yeah, Secret Service was around our school often. But it was just kind of like a thing. You knew, like they would follow them to school, drop them off. Like, before they could drive, that's who was dropping them off sometimes. And did they ever cramp your style? No. No, it really didn't get, until they became,
Starting point is 01:53:32 Once George Bush became president, that's when it increased. And we were in college at that point. But there was a time where I hung out with Jenna and we weren't running. And, like, they were running behind us. Did they look like normal runners or were they in, like, full suits with like earpieces? Like, all right? She took another step. She took another step.
Starting point is 01:53:49 They would blend in. Did they have guns on them? Not that I knew of. Oh, for sure. Yeah, for sure, right? I have no idea. All right? Give me another one, Morgan.
Starting point is 01:53:57 So Antonio shared that both his date and his brother's date, showed up wearing the same dress. That happened on 902 and O. And then Grace, she shared that you paid for her dinner before prom. She was the third wheel with some friends at dinner in Austin, and you were sitting at the table next to him, and you came up, chatted with him, and before she knew it, she found our dinner had been paid for.
Starting point is 01:54:21 And it was you. You guys even talked about it on the show the next day. I did not remember that. Me neither. But that's awesome. That must have been years ago. Sounds like something you would do, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:30 That, I do not remember that. Are we sure that it? Yeah, apparently, Amy and Lunchbox both called you a creep for paying for a high school girl's dinner. Oh, that sounds about right. Okay, well, that does sound like how the show goes. I feel like maybe that might have been over 10 years ago. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:47 Wow. Look at me. All right. Because I don't think now I would call you a creep. I'd be like, oh, that's thoughtful. By that time you were younger. Listen, I'm just thinking. I probably just saw three people dressed up going, hey, you guys got prom?
Starting point is 01:54:58 Who's the date? Where's your date? You don't have a date? Oh, you should pay for prom by your stuff. yourself? And I went to the waitress. That's what probably happened. Yeah. That makes sense. And then you guys bust in my chop in the air. If we were in our 20s, that's where we probably had the rule like that could be creepy.
Starting point is 01:55:14 See, now you're doing it again. Okay. Thank you, Morgan. That's it for today. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Have a great day. Bye, everybody. All right, if you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the drill.
