Starting point is 00:02:07 Airtasker. Get anything done? All right. The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. As we were ending today's show, Amy said she wanted to talk about an idea. And I said, just roll it over here. Now, why are you rolling eyes at me? Well, no, because I was like, oh, I don't even know if I should bring it up, but it is an idea that I had.
Starting point is 00:02:26 And then it made me think, oh, maybe now this is the time to talk about this idea. Okay, well, so you know my podcast is four things. And if you think about it, there's four, well, there's Bay, so there's Ray's fiance, there's Bobby's girlfriend, there's Eddie's wife, and then there's Lunchbox's wife. So it's kind of the significant others on the show. And I have them on as each, one thing each for an episode. And I mean, but they each have different. Like, Eddie, not necessarily to talk about, but your wife being a foster mom and things that she is passionate about.
Starting point is 00:03:07 It could be, it's like a way for them to have a voice for a second for things that they're passionate about. So I thought that could be something, but I don't know if anybody's up for that. Eddie? I think it'd be cool. I mean, I would just let you talk to her about it because I bet you she would say just no because she's so private.
Starting point is 00:03:25 She doesn't, this just isn't her thing to just talk to a lot of people. She may, I mean, if you get into a room, she may want to talk to you, Amy, and maybe open up. I mean, I would give you the green light to contact her for sure. Well, and with Caitlin,
Starting point is 00:03:39 she does not love the public world either. I have to just be like, come on, come to a second. Again, she loves you. Yeah. But she also was like, why does anybody care what I do? She cannot understand why. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Starting point is 00:03:56 She can't understand at all while she has a hundred and something thousand Instagram followers. And she doesn't do anything on Instagram. Okay. Her last picture. I was thinking she's very into. Is on my birthday, April 2nd on Instagram. That's how little she uses Instagram. She has 113,000 followers.
Starting point is 00:04:15 Yeah. But I think she is funny and interesting. Oh, super. All that. Like her, she's really into cooking. She may have recipes she could share with people. I can't get her to do a cooking video to save her life. And I've been like, why don't you put some of this up?
Starting point is 00:04:31 I'm working on her. I think eventually she'll be in that place. But this is all so new to her. Like having people in her hometown know what's happening in her life is so weird to her. That I'm going to say, ask me again. And we can talk about that. Ask me again in 30 days. Okay, 30 days.
Starting point is 00:04:47 And then with Ray's fiancé, she has been through a lot for her age. I think she would do it. I think they would do it. And she, right? Oh, yeah, she's totally down. Yeah, because she was like saying she would fill in on the show as a co-host. So. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:05 And then I guess I just don't know, too, about Lunchbox's wife if she would want to come on as his other half. I have no idea. I mean, she doesn't, I mean, I have no idea if she'd want to talk about anything or what she would talk about. But, I mean, she could talk about how great I am and everything about that. But I don't know. Okay. Well, maybe I can talk to the. Bay is in.
Starting point is 00:05:31 The rest of us are kind of going out. I don't know right now. But 30 days, you hit it again. Right. Okay, 30 days. I'll check it. All right. Put that in your calendar.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Amy did send me a note about Caitlin. I said, do you think Caitlin would like you with gray hair? Why would you send me that? Because I know, well, I just saw something in men's health about that 90% of females are attracted to men with gray hair. So, and then I know you're worried about the gray that comes through on your beard or the patches or something, but it's fine. She's going to be attracted to it. I'm sure she's part of the 90%. I get weird gray in my sideburns, not on my head, but my sideburns and a couple tiny patches down here on my chin. That's weird. But when I go on TV, I use that toothbrush and brush those out because you got the,
Starting point is 00:06:15 this little spray. He's spreading on a toothbrush and covers it right up. Really? Oh yeah. That's cool. That's why I look so slick on TV when I have a beard is because there's like two little patches on my chin and Kelly just sprays it on a toothbrush and just brushes it in and it looks clean as a whistle. Thank you very much. What are you doing, Amy? You're on your computer? Putting in my calendar on May 27th to check in with you about Caitlin coming on podcast. If I don't I won't put in the calendar. I won't remember exactly when 30 days is. Yeah. Trying to be respectful of that.
Starting point is 00:06:52 I was asking one of my radio friends when they're going back in the studio, he thinks they'll go back in to May, early June. I don't think I ever want to go back. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. What, Amy? Like your chair's just over there all lonely by itself. Scoop of Steve sits over there sometimes. Well, yeah, I know. He feels. Yeah, he keeps it warm for you. But still, I'm used to seeing you there. I know, but I just like walking upstairs. Eventually this is going to be how I do the show.
Starting point is 00:07:19 I've determined that. It may not be right now, but eventually this is it. I'm just going to build a little something at the house and never leave. You know, can you tell Amy a little bit? Oh, for sure, 100%. I'm like, he got a taste of this life and he was not going back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Maybe like one or two days a week I go in.
Starting point is 00:07:43 And then the rest of the time I don't. I work from home. Something like that's happening. It's going to hybrid from here out. That's the one I'm going to say. I'll leave you guys with that nugget. All right. We're done.
Starting point is 00:07:53 I hope you guys enjoy today's show. Anything you want to say, Amy, before we get going here? No, just hope everybody has a great day. I was talking with Eddie speaking of working from home. I was like, hey, we get you that microphone in your house. And then Eddie goes, I have four kids, and they will never shut up. So I can't work from home. Yeah, I was like, just save the money on whatever studio you
Starting point is 00:08:15 would build to my house because there's just no way it would work. I don't have, I mean, I have one room that I could possibly sneak into, but they would just bust into that room whenever they get a chance. And it would be a lot of me going, hold on, guys. It's still quiet, guys. Well, we don't want that, but it's not a bunch of money. You get a microphone. Like, Morgan's just got a microphone plugged to their computer, right, Morgan? Yeah, I'm just sitting at my kitchen table. Oh, is that where it is? Yeah. Okay. Here we go. This is, um, Tuesday show, Wednesday show? What is today?
Starting point is 00:08:47 Wednesday? I don't even know what day it is anymore. Who cares? Yeah. Did you see the ABC guy who was doing the news? And he was doing a, he's a reporter, and he didn't realize his camera angle was a little low and he had it on shorts with a suit. He was just at home. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 00:09:00 The camera, the angle was just a little too low and you see him just like in short shorts with a full suit on top. That's pretty funny. All right, enjoy. Hope you guys like today's show. Have fun. And tomorrow, though. tomorrow, Dirk Spanley, aka Doug Douglasson
Starting point is 00:09:16 from Hot Country Nights. We'll have him for a segment and Ingrid Andrus which we talk about here coming up in a minute, but we just just was confirmed that she'll be on tomorrow too. So listen to today's, but come back tomorrow. Tell your friends about us. Thank you. We will talk to you soon, but here we go with today's show. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by

Starting point is 00:12:03 Dot E-DU slash military. Welcome to the big show today. You know, the big update is I'm not peeing blood anymore. Yeah, me. Thank you. Thank you very much. On yesterday's show, I said that I was riding my bike so hard. I felt like something wasn't right when I got off. Like I felt something to go, and I was like, what is happening? And then I peed, and I peed blood. It's the first time it's ever happened. And so I had something that was from extra strenuous exercise. And I did promise, Caitlin, I wouldn't ride the bike for 48 hours. And not only did she take one of the pedals off the bike,
Starting point is 00:12:49 she hid both my pair of Peloton shoes. So she was just making sure I was not going to get on the bike. That was yesterday, her hiding the... But I tell you, sometimes she'll hide sweets in the house. I can find those every time. I could not find the shoes to save my life. I just not as motivated. Like when she's hiding a bag of Werther's original, I'm like a bloodhound. I'm sniffing them out, baby.
Starting point is 00:13:08 I find them. But I think I'm pretty much better, honestly. There's no blood, no traces of blood. Thanks for everybody who has given me their medical opinion. Because holy crap, were we getting some medical opinions? Oh, I'm sure. You think Googling it and seeing what pops up as bad news, wait until you open it up to the listeners and they tell you what they think's wrong with you.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Holy moly. So when are you going to bring spinning or biting your bike back into your life? Probably today. Oh, but are you going to take it easy? I took 48 hours off. Amy, I have two ways to go. I know. Hard or not.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Yeah, I go hard or zero. I do two ways. So I'm ready to get back at it, baby. So that's the first thing I wanted to update everybody on. But I appreciate all the nice messages. Our old boss, Jay, who works in Dallas now, sent me a note because all he saw was the Facebook headline. I didn't even see this, but it said, Bobby wakes up in P's blood. And that was the whole headline.
Starting point is 00:14:04 And so he screenshot it and sent it to me. He's like, are you okay? And I was like, yeah, I was a exercise injury. And then he asked how we were doing because he's running a radio station. And I was asking how his radio DJs are doing. And he said he listens to our show still a lot. Oh, wow. I was going to read you this.
Starting point is 00:14:24 He's talking about his show. He says they're doing well because everybody's working from home now and some of his shows play a lot more music than we do. And he says it doesn't sound Bobby Bone's show good but they're doing a real good job. He's probably just throwing a compliment out there.
Starting point is 00:14:38 And then he brings up you. He says, Amy is still my favorite female talent I've ever heard in the country hands down. No more real, sincere, and likable. And I said, I agree. That's why she's here because she's the best. Oh, hey, Jay. Yeah, I don't know if he's listening right now, but...
Starting point is 00:14:53 Well, he just said he listens sometimes, so maybe. This is twice that he's been brought up in the past week or so, because I shouted him out when I was doing American Idol. I was like, you know, I was just talking to my friend Jay Shannon about... And I threw it an idol contestant. So, anyway, that's what's happened. And there, I feel pretty good. I see another story that made me laugh this morning.
Starting point is 00:15:11 A guy in Tennessee is facing charges after he put on a gorilla costume, entered a home in Mount Juliet and frightened a six-year-old girl. Have you seen this story? No. Just the headline. So I don't know what happened or if it was breaking and entering or did he think it was his friend's house or what? That's where I think this gets a little tricky, right? His name is Richard Music.
Starting point is 00:15:32 He put on the outfit Sunday afternoon and then walked through the back door of a home. However, he ran away after he scared the girl inside and after he was confronted by the homeowner. Police found Gorilla Man nearby where he told officers he thought it was someone else's house, when he went in. Now, they say that excuse didn't fly, and he's been charged with aggravated burglary. Now, I would just need to be there to see what's going on. I just can't imagine if you're going to burglarize someone. You put on a gorilla costume because all eyes go toward the gorilla. Am I right? And you can't grab things and you're, I mean, I don't know exactly how the costume looked. But if that's how you're going to disguise yourself, you probably should go with
Starting point is 00:16:22 something a little less like, I'm just picturing a big guerrilla costume. You'd think you'd be more ninja-like. I'm looking at a picture of him. He's definitely in the costume. They have him bent over the front of the car like in handcuffs. They have his mug shot up. He has a sole patch, which means he could have been robbing the place. Yeah, when you see his soul patch, yeah, yeah, I don't know. I'm torn on just the story if I think it was an accident because if I'm burglarizing, I'm not putting on an Elsa costume. Right. Or I'm not going in as a gorilla. So I saw that that made me laugh because I thought it was an accident. You know, there was that story in Tampa where Tom Brady is down,
Starting point is 00:16:57 and he went down to Tampa, and he had all his bags, and he went in the house where his offensive coordinator was and laid his bags down, and it wasn't the right house. No way. And the person in the house was like, is that Tom Brady? Yeah, it was the wrong house. The offensive coordinator was actually next door. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:17:11 And the house just looked very similar. Oh, wow. I had not heard that. That is amazing. That was funny, too. What do you think the phrase is that is now being said more than any other phrase, Amy. Well, you told me it's not safe at home.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Is it safer at home? No. It's I love you. Oh, well, that's sweet. The coronavirus has reminded everyone how precious life is, and it is provoking a wave of emotion. On Twitter and Instagram, the phrase is, I love you. They've seen a massive uptick in the last month. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I love that. Speaking of Corona, the next big shortage is, What do you use yeast for? To make bread. I just actually bought some instant yeast because my daughter wanted to make cinnamon rolls. And the kind I normally buy was sold out. So I'd buy some other brand that I don't know. But now maybe that's why, because there's a shortage.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Well, home bread baking has become so popular that there's a shortage of the main ingredient yeast. Manufacturers have ramped up production. But because yeast takes time to develop, there's still a shortage. You know, there could be a meat shortage too because of all the plants. all the Tyson plants, all the meat plants, and they're saying heads up. If we don't have meat and yeast, those are the only two things I eat every night, Amy, I have a meat and a yeast, and I go to town. I walk downstairs and I'm like, I asked Caitlin, I said,
Starting point is 00:18:34 what's from my meat, what's from my yeast tonight? She tells me, then I eat it. No, she is a great cook, though. Let's see. A North Carolina dog tests positive for coronavirus. The first time my dog has been known to have corona. The family was involved in a study at Duke Medical Center. when the father, the mother, and the son tested positive for the virus.
Starting point is 00:18:58 And so they all had it. And they noticed her dog was a little bit sick. And he tested the pug named Winston. Winston, the pug had coronavirus. Isn't that crazy? Well, so then what? I mean, he just, the dog has to just go through it? The dog recovered in just a few days.
Starting point is 00:19:12 But he had to quarantine his dog house for 14 days. I'm just kidding. He didn't, Amy. Although nothing is crazy right now. Nothing is so crazy. I know. I was picturing this little dog. dog on a ventilator.
Starting point is 00:19:23 The principal investigator in the study believes it's the first known positive case in the United States. The family's other pets, another dog, a cat, and a lizard all got clean bills of health. Pets can get the virus from humans but cannot pass it back. At least not respiratoryly. Right, but maybe it's in the fur possibly. Yeah, yeah, yeah, nice. So that's what's up.
Starting point is 00:19:43 There's your corona news of the day. All right, our forced movie reviews. Each of us were forced a movie to watch by someone on the show. the rule was to make it basically your second favorite movie ever. And so Morgan number two reviewed Still Magnolias and she gave it 4.5 out of five Shelby's because I'm assuming Shelby is a main character on the movie, right guys? Yeah? Yes. Okay. Yes. Lunchbox watched Black Panther and gave it 2.5 out of five Wakandas because Wakanda is where they live in Black Panther. I was surprised that his rating was solo, but he gave it 2.5 out of five Wakandas.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Correct. Amy watched Parasite yesterday. We're now going to get her review. And Eddie is the person who told you to watch this movie. And he did it a little bit to be funny because you just watched another foreign language film and he said, let's do. But to be fair, when Eddie was talking about Parasite, he said it was one of his favorite movies of all time weeks and weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Correct. Okay. But what I need to know about favorite movies of all time is a lot of us watch. them multiple times. There's no way Eddie's watching Parasite again. I don't think the rule has to be you watch it multiple times. I think... Oh, really? I've seen some movies like Hitch. Probably 20 times. I wouldn't say it's one of my 15 top favorite movies. I really like it. Okay. What's your favorite movie of all time? A man on the moon, Andy Kaufman's story with Jim Carrey. How many times have you seen it? Probably three. I don't need to see it a lot. I got the experience in my heart.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Fine. Fine. Parasite is a one and done. Okay, you watch Parasite. Go ahead. Talk to me here. Yeah. So it was really good. Wow. Wow. Okay, yeah. It took me a minute to get in the subtitle groove. I watched it on Hulu, which is amazing. If you have Hulu, you can watch it on there for free. But they have English and Spanish subtitles at the same time. So that got a little distracting.
Starting point is 00:21:47 And I took Spanish for eight years. So sometimes I would go down to the Spanish section and see if I could figure it out. But I stuck mostly with the English and I thought it was good. I definitely, I had no idea what it was about. I had no idea what to expect. So it went a couple of directions. I had no idea. I gasped out loud a few times.
Starting point is 00:22:10 I give it four out of five parasites. Wow. That's good. So are you saying? Yeah, but I'm not going to watch it again. Okay, but you don't have to. No one's forcing you to watch it again. Like ever. Okay, we get it.
Starting point is 00:22:23 But are you saying you're surprised at how good it was? Yes. Are you saying you're surprised at how good it was even though you had to read subtitles the whole time? Very. Me too. I was the same way. And I thought it was really good too. But okay, there you go. What did you give it when you rated it?
Starting point is 00:22:37 Do you remember? About the same? Because I thought it was a little overhyped to me, but I can still take something overhyped and enjoy it and know it's good. Caitlin and I watched it. And we were both like, we don't want to. to sit through two hours of listening to Korean and having to read the bottom of the screen. But about 20 minutes into it, you just start to feel Korean. I did anyway. You pretty much learn Korean when you watch it. Basically. I felt like I was done Rosetta Stone,
Starting point is 00:23:00 South Korea. So it was, okay, but Amy, you liked Parasite. Would you recommend it to our listeners? Yes, I recommend it. Yeah. That's amazing. Nice job. I know. Morgan, you would recommend still Magnolias, right? Oh yeah, definitely. As long as people want to cry. and lunchbox would not recommend Black Panther. Is that right? No, if you don't want to be bored, don't watch it. Like, I mean, if he wants something to put you to sleep, watch Black Panther. I love Black Panther.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Mike, did you love movie, Mike? Great. Eddie? I love Black Panther. I don't even know what he's talking about. You guys just want to sound cool and say it's great because everybody said it was great. No one is brave enough to say, you know what? It really wasn't that good.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Well, that's not true. You're not a frontline worker. You're not brave by saying Black Panther is not good. All right, all right. You guys can call our voicemail line. It's same as our phone line. 877-Bobby. Here is Penny from Virginia.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Morning studio. Hey, Bobby. I got to thinking, listen to some of the podcasts, how his lunchbox changed his attitude towards washing his hands? Because if I recall correctly, he hated it. So I was just wondering how that situation was going. Everyone, stay healthy, stay safe. Not only hated it, wouldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Would use the bathroom and not watch it? his hands. Lunchbox, how has your mind changed on washing your hands? I wash my hands about three times a day. I still, like when you go to the bathroom, I still don't believe you need to wash your hands because you're not going to the bathroom on your hands. So I still don't see the point of that. But like when I'm doing the dishes, sometimes, like my hand will get, you know, some soap on it and it washes off or after I eat dinner, I wash my hands. And I take a shower, you know, maybe once every couple days and that's it. So great. No corona washing. After dinner. Not before. But no, like, Corona hasn't changed your, your washing your hands ideology.
Starting point is 00:24:53 No, I may, like when I do wash it, I may leave my hands under the hot water for a little bit longer, but I'm not going in there to wash my hands more because of Corona. I'm not changing who I am. Whatever. Why would you wash your hands after dinner, though, just as a thought? Oh, because sometimes you get some food on your hands, like you drop it or, you know, it falls off the fork and you get something on your hands. you got to wash your hands.
Starting point is 00:25:18 So you'd rather wash the food off your hands than wash the germs before you eat. Well, I'm not, see, if you're using your hands, deed, I get it. But I'm using a fork, but sometimes my chicken or my, you know, steak falls off and I get a little splat on my hand. And so then I got to wash my hand because it's sticky. No, I get that. I just wonder why you don't wash before. I just never even thought about it because I'm using a fork. I mean, I do lick it, but then there is still residual stick.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Okay. All right, we're reviewing these movies. They were forced movie reviews, and Lunchbox drew my name, and he forced me to watch a movie called Box of Moonlight, which was weird because we all said, we'll pick our second favorite movie for someone. And I'd never heard of this movie. I think he was doing it as punishment.
Starting point is 00:26:03 It was the lowest rated on Rotten Tomatoes. It came out in 1996. It was just a lot of weird things happening here with this movie. Again, Box of Moonlight. Before we get into this, has anyone else ever heard of Box of Moonlight? No. Okay. We're all on Amy.
Starting point is 00:26:19 Ever heard of boxing? Never. Movie Mike, you specialize in movies. You do a podcast on it. I've seen a lot of movies. I've never heard of this movie. You never even heard of it. No.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Okay. So I brought Caitlin up into the room. My girlfriend, Caitlin, watched it with me last night. Caitlin, thank you for being a part of this review. You're welcome. Because I just want honesty to come out. Yeah, absolutely. And so we laid down to watch it, and I said, we watched this movie.
Starting point is 00:26:42 And you thought it was called, because we kept searching for Box of Moonlight. and she was like, are you sure it's not fox in the moonlight? Yeah, we were getting mixed up. We were like sun in the light. It was bad. The screen wouldn't find it. Yeah, we, we, so, again, lunchbox, what about this movie was so good to you before I give you the review? Well, it was just, it was a, I was 17 at the time when I went to see it and it really made me think, man, slow down and enjoy life.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Like, a lot of people take life so serious and you get in such a hurry and you get wrapped up and everything and you stress out about things and you don't take time to have fun. And this when this guy goes and he finds this other guy and it's like, hey, dude, let loose. You are so tied up in your business like relax and enjoy life. It's going to pass you by before you know it. So it really to me was a life lesson to just enjoy life and relax a little bit. And I felt like it related to your life a lot because you work all the time and you don't ever relax.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Well, it was $9.99, which stunk because I had to buy it. on demand at 99, not 299 or 399 on iTunes. It was 99. And so we hit it and it was an hour and 51 minutes long, which we both looked down. We're like, oh, boy. Yeah. Yeah. But we watched it.
Starting point is 00:28:03 It's box of moonlight. And what did you think about it? Just not good. It was terrible, guys. It was so bad. It was garbage. If anyone out there is thinking about, you know, I got to. got a little time on my hands. I might watch the movie
Starting point is 00:28:18 called Box of Moonlight. Watch every box instead of box of moonlight. Right. It's so simple that it's confusing. And it's shot odd. And I just didn't want to come up and say this as my own opinion. But Rotten Tomatoes is right. It's a 61%. That's a D. That's almost a F. Honestly, that's generous.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Yeah. So. I have a quick. Go ahead. I just, I honestly, I mean, I get why he said he liked it, but it's just so weird. And there's a lot of male nudity. Oh yeah, chose weavers a lot.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Which I didn't appreciate it. Maybe that's why lunchbox likes it. That's why I'm wondering why it's his favorite movie. It's a lot of male genitalia. It is. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:28:57 Maybe he doesn't even know why I loved it so much. Oh, that's right. Lunchbox is... No Teeth Keith. Took Lunchbox as a kid to go see this? It's all making sense now. I was 16, 17 years.
Starting point is 00:29:09 I was in high school because I drove to the movie theater after high school and met No Teeth Keith there and it was my first independent film. And it was such a good movie. There's definitely four ding-dongs that are seen straight up. At least.
Starting point is 00:29:23 What? And I'm talking, not even just a hint, like run by the screen, but pause. Yeah, it started to be a joke with us. It was, the movie was not good. It wasn't even like a movie you look at and go, well that kind of, even though it didn't hold up so well with time, it was still, it was just garbage. It wasn't art.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Hey, Mike, what's that movie rated? Is it X? No, it was rated art. It was rated R. Oh. What is it, Mike? Yeah, rated R. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:50 What's the, is there like a five ding-dong limit that it goes into 17 or? Right. Wow, wow. That's crazy. I can't believe you guys didn't accept it into your life and understand it. Maybe it was just too smart for you. I give it one half moon out of five. One half a moon.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Not even a full moon. What do you give out of five moons? Can you go less than that? You can go whatever you want? I'll go half. I'll go half. as well. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:17 We're going half of one moon. Point five moons out of five. I'm just so confused. I thought it was a joke. She thought I was making her watch a joke film or something so bad that it was like to watch her reaction. Like she's like, is this for TikTok? Are you doing something to judge my reaction? Just a bit.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Yeah. So there you have. Man, I feel bad. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. No, listen, I don't take it personal. It's just something that I think Bobby could accept in his life of relaxing because you would agree he works all the time.
Starting point is 00:30:45 He needs to relax a little bit. The guy cheats on his wife. But that's how he relaxes. Not Bobby. The guy in the movie. His way of relaxing is like getting naked with other guys and cheating on his wife. Yeah, it's a whole thing. What?
Starting point is 00:31:00 Yes. There's a part where he, yeah, he and this dude get naked and then he, yeah, it's a whole thing. Quite frankly, I hope that's not how Bobby decides to relax. So that's the only reason she didn't like it. She didn't like the cheating aspect. It was a terrible movie way before that. Way. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:17 Point five moons out of five is what we give it. I kind of want to see this movie now. Just watch what you guys are talking about. It's so good. Eddie, admit he want to see the ding-doll? No, Amy. Amy, is there anything? I told you about the, no blood on my pee.
Starting point is 00:31:39 So I'm good there. I can probably get back on the bike today, right? We'll see. I told her 48 hours. The recommended time is 72. Yeah, but we agreed to 48. Then she hid my shoes, my Peloton shoes, and sent me a video going,
Starting point is 00:31:55 you won't find these until I see your pee. Yeah, well, I guess you need to show her. But also, I think it's okay to just do the recommended 72. Your body is not going to hate you for it. My body is a wonderland, and I want to treat it like I try to. And I just feel fat. You're not fat. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:17 You're, oh, what? The other day you were saying you felt like you're in the best shape of your life. Your body does not change that. Yes, it does. Yes, it does. No, if that's in your brain. If I don't ride the bike. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Please listen to my podcast outweigh. That's in your brain. Amy plugged her own podcast right now. Please listen to my podcast outweigh. It's in my four things with Amy Brown podcast. You can check it out wherever you listen to your podcasts. Subscribe and give me good ratings. I know.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Shut up. No, I just. You just plugged it. Thank you. You're welcome. We only have one movie left to review, maybe tomorrow or Friday, Eddie, right? Yeah, eight mile. He's going to-not wait to talk about this.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Caitlin hasn't seen eight-mile either. Nope. Ooh, should we watch it together? Like, not together together, but like she watches it tonight and I watch it tonight? Eddie, my boyfriend's listening. Eddie, I'm right here, bro. How disrespectful. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Bobby Bones Show Bonehead This story comes with us from Wellington, Florida A 36-year-old man
Starting point is 00:35:48 Richard Hamilton was having a bad day He didn't want to go to work He was working construction at the water plant He was like, how can I get the day off? I know, call in a bomb threat to the water plant So police arrive, bomb squad, dogs, all that They don't find a bomb But they trace it back to his cell phone
Starting point is 00:36:05 Yeah, I'm so happy about that story Why? Why? What? What? What you happy about him getting, well, I guess he got arrested? Well, that it wasn't corona-based. Like, all these idiots are claiming they have corona and shutting everything down. This guy, he's old-fashioned. It's retro. He calls on a bomb threat. I love retro.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Dang, I love it. All right, he's still an idiot. All right, lunchbox. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So I want to shout out to Paul Lee,
Starting point is 00:36:35 a 48-year-old man in Indianapolis, Indiana, who has beaten cancer. and coronavirus. Wow. Yeah, this month, pretty crazy. So he was undergoing chemo radiation. Then he was finishing radiation. Then he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Starting point is 00:36:52 And he was fighting for weeks in the hospital, but he's now out and done with cancer, done with coronavirus. So neighbors, they welcomed him with a parade when he got out of the hospital. And then speaking of his neighbors and friends, so he has a wife and eight children. And neighbors and friends were helping take care of. his family while he was in the hospital by making dinner and paying for food delivery. So shout out to everybody in this story. Dang, that's multiples. That's a lot of Tell Me Something Good Right there. Dang, that is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:37:25 Today is Willie Nelson's birthday. He is 87 years old today. So happy birthday to one of our favorites, one of my favorites, Willie Nelson. Amy, have you met Willie? Yes, I have. My cousin, but I wasn't very close to him, played the fiddle or something for Willie when I was in college. So he played in College Station and I got to take my friends. I got tickets. We got to go backstage. That's cool. That's pretty cool. Yeah. I mean, I've been telling me Willie Nelson a few times. Our grandma was a huge fan. I've been a huge fan. One of my favorite songs of all time is a Willie song. Eddie just saw Willie Nelson a few months ago, right? At the CMA Awards. Yeah. He was sitting there with his wife and I approached him. No one was around and it was pretty cool. Man, I was like,
Starting point is 00:38:05 I'm just going to go for it. And I just chatted with him a little bit. We talked about Austin. And I mean, he didn't say very much because he is getting up there in age. So, yeah, he wasn't the Willie that I met before in the past. I'll put it that way. Are you that producer ready I've heard about on the radio? They're always on my mind. He's 87 today.
Starting point is 00:38:26 As a songwriter, such an impact far beyond country. But we can start with some of his biggest hits. One top three favorite song of all time, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. There you go. Come on. I'd have to kind of lay them out again as far as my favorites go. Because ain't no sunshine. Jam.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Blue eyes crying in the rain, jam. Stop this train, John Mayer jam. If tomorrow never comes, Garthbrook's jam. They're all so slow and sad. I'm so sad for all my favorites. Obviously, on the road again. Always on my mind. Here you go.
Starting point is 00:39:12 And he wrote Crazy for Patsy Klein. Here's a Willie and Patsy version. Crazy. I'm crazy for feeling so lonely. Yes, you are. You're so crazy. That's me. I just kidding.
Starting point is 00:39:41 That was me. I know you thought that was Willie. We thought it was Willie. Yeah. Here you go. I'll give you five facts you may not know about Willie Nelson. He wrote his first song at the age of seven. He said he used to take music lessons from his grandma.
Starting point is 00:39:52 They would go through lessons. And if you get the lesson right, she'd take a little gold star about the size of your finger and stick it on a sheet of music, which meant he had done well. So at age seven, Willie wrote this song with the line, they took a gold star away from me when you left me for another long ago.
Starting point is 00:40:09 There you go. Don't hate Amy. He's seven. Oh, I didn't hate it. Amy did not look impressed by that line. Yeah, Amy, come on. Amy come on. All right, Willie Nelson number two,
Starting point is 00:40:19 he used to be a Bible salesman. He became a full-time musician in the mid-1950s, but he also worked as a cotton picker, a disc jockey, and a Bible salesman. He's been playing the same guitar for 50 years. I've held that guitar. Do you know what's name, Eddie? Trigger.
Starting point is 00:40:34 That's right. Nice job. Willie Nelson's been playing Trigger, his beloved guitar, which he named after what, Eddie, do you think? Oh, I don't know. A dog? Roy Rogers' horse.
Starting point is 00:40:46 Ah, close. Number four, he wrote On the Road again, on a barf bag. His 1980 hit On the Road Again was written on an airplane, on a barf bag. He was flying with the director of the movie Honeysuckle Rose. They were looking for songs.
Starting point is 00:41:00 And he said, let me just write this for you and he wrote it out. And then finally he wrote crazy for Patsy Klein. And he went up in the middle of the night, was like, got the song for you, woke up her husband, played it for him on the car radio, got it to Patsy. And that was really what launched her career.
Starting point is 00:41:13 There you go. There you have it. Do you feel knowledgeed up, Amy? I do. We should find some other young... I like this segment. We should find some other young songwriters for Amy to hate on. Like really young kids just starting out.
Starting point is 00:41:26 Oh, but I guess I actually just thought this was school, like school music school, but it wasn't. It's just Willie's birthday. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's not music school. That's Monday. Yeah, don't be crazy. We got some special plan for Monday. Don't be crazy.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Don't be crazy. All right. Let's hear from Brian in Iowa. Hi, Bobby. I listen to your show quite regularly. I'm on the front lines. I'm a volunteer firefighter, EMT. I'm also a truck driver.
Starting point is 00:41:58 I just want to really give a shout out to you and Amy and Lunchbox and all you guys to keep us going. Really appreciate it and hope everything's going good for you guys. Thank you very much. Appreciate that. Thank you for doing what you do for us because we ain't doing crap except trying to be a little bit funny on the radio. You're out there really making a difference. So Brian, appreciate that. Here is somebody else. It is not unusual to use shampoo on your face. My doctor told me years ago when I was having issues to use baby shampoo on my face to clean it and because it's easy
Starting point is 00:42:34 on your skin just like a baby. So the dermatologist had me using that for a long time. Yeah, that's referring to Caitlin. Being shamed a little bit because she said she said She just uses shampoo to wash her face. Caitlin's my girlfriend. Here is one other voicemail. Good morning, Bobby. Good morning, studio. God bless St. Jude.
Starting point is 00:42:57 Just love what you doing. You've got me through some hard times and keep doing what you're doing. Wouldn't change you all for a bit. Thank you very much. Appreciate all the positivity. Dang, that's awesome. We have a bunch of adults in this room.
Starting point is 00:43:11 What I'm going to do is ask all of you adults to nail a kids a riddle. I just Googled easy riddles for kids. This is what came up. So Amy, Lunchbox, our video producer, Eddie, I'll give you a kid's riddle. You'll have about 20 seconds to see if you can get it. Amy, you're up first.
Starting point is 00:43:30 Are you ready? Ready. Here's your riddle. I add lots of flavor and have many layers, but if you get close to me, I'll make you cry. What am I? Here we go. Time starts now.
Starting point is 00:43:43 I add lots of flavor. and have many layers. But if you get too close to me, I'll make you cry. What am I? An onion? An onion is correct. You're still in the game. Lunchbox riddle me this.
Starting point is 00:44:01 What's always in front of you but cannot be seen. What's always in front of you but cannot be seen. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the future. That is the future. Nailed it. Riddle me. this. Woo. Let's go over to our video producer Eddie.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Eddie. What? To stay in the game. By the way, the clock starts right after I finish the second read of it, okay? Okay. What goes up but never comes back down? What goes up? But never comes back down.
Starting point is 00:44:35 Oh my gosh. Riddle me this, Eddie. What goes up but never comes down? What goes up but never comes back down? I would say, oh, wait, temperature goes up, goes down. All right, I'm going to say, um, hot air. Hot air is incorrect.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Oh my gosh. The answer would have been your age. And you know this better than any of us, Eddie, it'd be in the oldest person on the show. I knew going in, too. My brain wasn't ready for this game today. Oh, was it? What's happening in your world?
Starting point is 00:45:13 I don't know. It was just a cloudy brain this morning. Okay, okay, okay. Well, Eddie's been eliminated. Amy, back over to you. What can you break even if you never pick it up or touch it? What can you break?
Starting point is 00:45:29 Even if you never pick it up or touch it. Clock charge now. Talk it out? What can you break? Okay, I got it. Oh, wow. At five seconds. You're already going to call it right now?
Starting point is 00:45:44 I think. I mean, Billy Cyrus comes to mind Don't break my heart I can break you heart I have heart You have heart What can you break even if you never pick it up or touch a heart? Incorrect
Starting point is 00:46:00 Oh What? You can touch a heart? No, you can't touch a heart No, you can't. You can't touch it. You can't really touch it. You can cut it out.
Starting point is 00:46:07 You can stick your... You can't. Not really if someone's dead Not really. Um, you can't, a promise. What can you break? Even if you never pick it up or touch it, I promise. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Wow. Lunchbox. I've never gotten that. It's fine. Are you ready? Oh, yeah, hit me. If you nailed this riddle, you will be the champion today. Yeah, give me what I know, though.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Riddle me this. Give me what I know. What has a neck, but no head? What has a neck? but no head. Oh man, I just want to say thank you for coming today and enjoying this game.
Starting point is 00:46:55 I mean, because when you do this, you pop bottles because I won. It's a bottle! What has a neck but no head? The answer is, a bottle. Yeah. And they stay there. There he goes.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Nice job lunchbox. Eddie, not good. Yeah. Amen. Better luck next time. Okay. I think Lunchbox is the best at this game, generally anyway. But boy, he's good at these riddles. Are you ready? Are you ready? Wait, wait, wait. I get to do it.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Oh, yeah. Go ahead. Oh, yeah. Riddle me this. You know that feeling when you have a deep cough, a croup. What I always call it? That's what I feel like when he does that. Since he wins, he gets to do the thing. It hurts my chest when he does that. All right, nice job. That's riddle me this here on the Bobby Bone Show. Lunchbox wins again.
Starting point is 00:48:01 Okay, over to Amy now with the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. Where should a dog never go shopping? Where should a dog never go shopping? Flea market, duh. Oh, there you go. That was the morning corny. I was on Twitter, and there was a 14-year-old kid named Caden,
Starting point is 00:48:25 and his mom posted a picture of him, and she said he's having a quarantine birthday, and he's in a Pimp and Joy shirt, which is, you know, our slogan here on the show. And so I reached out through direct message and I was like, do you guys have Zoom? I'd be happy to talk to you because he had one of our shirts on. I knew he knew the show.
Starting point is 00:48:41 And so we got on Zoom and I was talking to him and his mom and his sister. I just felt bad for him because he's 14. And when you're 14 birthdays of the world, like you wait all year for it. And he's not with any of his friends, not doing anything cool. And so I was like, hey, man, let's hang out. So we talked for a little bit and, you know, talked about life and, you know, school.
Starting point is 00:48:58 But then I was going to give him a little bit of advice. And it's different giving a 14-year-old a motivational talk. than it is with anyone else because I'll do businesses or I'll do college kids but he's 14 and I'm sitting next to Caitlin my girlfriend at the bar when we're doing this and so when I you'll hear me say this is what you can get I put the camera on Caitlin but here you go this is me talking to Caden. Hey Caden here's the thing when I was your age I was just like you and I stay focused and I worked hard and oh you froze are you there first okay there we go. We're back. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:49:35 You have a bad internet here. Katie, when I was your age, I was just like you, but I worked hard, and this is what I got whenever I finally. Yeah. So you can have that too, but if you just keep working hard. I see your shirt there. No, we're not. Yeah. Oh, you both have on Pippin' Joy.
Starting point is 00:49:53 Look at that. So Caitlin had on a Pimp of Joy shirt, too. But I was showing them because I was a nerdy kid. I was like, if you keep working hard, you get you a really good pretty girlfriend. But hopefully that made his birthday a little better. Oh, I'm sure it did. That was super cool of you to notice that and reach out to him. I love that. Then he had a Pimp and Joy shirt on. Kailen had on one. It was a great thing. Well, and what you were doing is the exact definition of Pimp and Joy. You were spreading joy to someone on their birthday when it wasn't probably the birthday they envisioned themselves having.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Yeah, he was a little bummed. I mean, I was a little bummed and I'm an adult man when I was quarantined for my birthday. Yeah. But I can only imagine being a kid. Anyway, Kaden, if you're listening again today, happy birthday, bud. We forgot to update the draft. We do a draft on our show every Monday. Hit me with that update, Ray. Let's go. The Bobby Bones Show.
Starting point is 00:50:42 Draft Update. The category was your favorite sounds. And for the first time, all season, Amy won one of these. Look at this. Amy, you're the draft champion. Yeah, first time this year, so it feels pretty good. What three sounds did you draft? I think water flowing,
Starting point is 00:51:01 crackling campfire and popcorn popping. Nice. Look at you. Amy now has one point. She is on the board. I finished dead a last. And with that, I will be out next week.
Starting point is 00:51:15 But I'm happy to be out. Amy, I'm happy you won. Ray Mundo has the first pick coming up Monday. Yeah. I don't recall how the winnings go with this. But do I get my winning song?
Starting point is 00:51:25 No. No. Oh, that's not. Amy's never won. So she doesn't know how this works. I don't know. I don't even know. Okay, so you just take the win? Oh, but then next week I get to go first or something?
Starting point is 00:51:37 No, no, no. You said Ray goes first. The first pick moves around the room. So Ray will go first. So I just get a win. So I get to play next week. You do get to play, yes, yes. I do not get to play. Normally I get kicked out. Okay. Starting point is 00:54:17 That's AMU. APUS. com slash military. All right, so Eddie suggested we all bring something in today, kind of like a show and tell, but from the Internet. The best thing on the internet. Eddie, since this is your segment, I will let you go first.
Starting point is 00:54:34 Well, sometimes, Bones, you find something and you're like, it's so good that you want to share it with everyone. So I've been sending it to my family. I found a video of a dad and his kid, and the kid's probably 10 years old, and the dad's sitting there asking the kid a bunch of financial questions. And the kid is just nailing him. Like, what is debt?
Starting point is 00:54:52 What is equity? What is all this? And this kid is like so smart with money. It's hilarious. Okay. What's assets? Assets are things that bring money to your bank account. What's liabilities?
Starting point is 00:55:02 Liabilities are things that take money out your bank account. Entrepreneurship is the act of becoming an entrepreneur. What's entrepreneurship? Entrepreneurship is a process of setting up a business or businesses. Taking on a greater than normal. Financial risk. What's an entrepreneur? Entrepreneur is a person that organizes and operates a business or businesses.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Also taking on a greater than normal. Financial risk. What's financial mean? Money. And what's risk mean? Champ. Come on. That's awesome, man.
Starting point is 00:55:27 That is great. How old is he like nine or ten? I would think probably about ten years old. Oh my gosh. That is amazing but also depressing for me at the same time. I'm here at home with my nine-year-old. Like how many pennies are in a quarter? I thought you were going to go.
Starting point is 00:55:44 Five? You're at home going, I also don't know what an entrepreneur is from you. Oh. No, I have been an entrepreneur in my life. I'll do mine. Mine, it doesn't make me smile, but it was really the craziest thing that I saw on the internet. And so when Eddie sent me this,
Starting point is 00:56:02 I pulled the video of all of these UFO, the Navy released three new videos of unidentified aerial phenomena. And they're nutty. And this audio I'm going to play for you are these pilots that are seeing it. And guys, it's moving way too fast to be an American airplane.
Starting point is 00:56:20 Here is the clip. There's a whole fleet of, Look on the ASA. My gosh. They're all going against the wind. The wind's a hundred point a mile to west. Look at all thing, dude. Look at that thing.
Starting point is 00:56:31 It's rotated. The Navy pilot said the object for one, full speed into the wind, rotated in the air, and then quickly sped off. The conclusion, if you ask me, aliens. There you have it. I've never seen anything like this. Mike D. and I were just talking about it. What do you think it is, Mike?
Starting point is 00:56:47 I think it's aliens. Yep, we all agree. That's it. Corona and aliens is at the same time? What? And the world is 20-20. This is a crazy year. Look for it.
Starting point is 00:56:56 We'll put it up at bobbybones.com. Amy, what did you bring? Okay, so mine is an Instagram account that you got to follow if you like cute babies and precious dogs. Because, I mean, that's the content we need right now instead of just coronavirus all the time. So the couple that runs this account, they had this golden doodle named Samson. And they probably had, I don't know, a couple hundred thousand followers before coronavirus. Now they're about to hit 700,000 because in the past few weeks, everybody wants to look at these doodoole. and their brand new baby because the doodle like cuddles with the baby and it's the craziest thing I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:57:30 What's the account people can follow? Samson the dude like D-O-O-D for doodle. Okay, there you go. Let's go over to Lunchbox. What do you have? I was watching the NFL draft this weekend. It's the last round and this guy, Stephen Sullivan, homeless as a kid, both parents are in jail. He goes to LSU and he doesn't think he's going to get drafted.
Starting point is 00:57:49 And near the end of the seventh round, he gets a call from the Seattle Seahawks. And he thinks it's a prank call and his reaction is awesome. Man, Coach, don't play with me, Coach. No, I am. I'm the GM for the Hawks. You're going to come be with the Hawks, okay? Go ahead. Coach, don't play with me, Coach.
Starting point is 00:58:05 Coach, don't do it to me, Coach. Please, don't play with me, Coach. No, we're selecting you right here, buddy. We got you, dog. You're coming to Seattle. That's awesome. All right, all right, all right. Let's do one more.
Starting point is 00:58:18 Morgan, do you have something you brought from the internet? So it's his 101-year-old woman. She lived through the 1918 Spanish flu. She beat cancer. And now she's beaten the coronavirus. So she's literally a superhuman. Wow. Dang, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:58:34 That's the Triple Crown, boys. That's awesome. Wow. You know, I was reading a story about the 1918 flu, and they had their version of what they called the Dr. Fauci then, where in 1918, the guy was like, you have to wear masks and you have to be social distancing, a different term he used. But that everybody was like, you're out of your mind.
Starting point is 00:58:51 But he's what saved people from that flu. was just enveloping everybody. And they were like the 1918's Dr. Fauci. Look it up if you want to read a fascinating article. It really was. It's so many parallels. And they made it political back then too, all the stuff he was saying.
Starting point is 00:59:08 But he was like, no, I'm just using science. And he saved a bunch of people's lives. It's crazy. Morgan, thank you for that story. Eddie, good segment, my friend. Thank you, man. I read this article, and it interests me because I wear headphones all the time.
Starting point is 00:59:20 The main reason for hearing loss nowadays is constant headphone use. Now, mine is in a different capacity because I wear them to work. And probably not as loud as if you listen to music all day in them. But it's like, hey, if you have your headphones, you're always listening to music, like keep it at 60% of the volume. And then if you're traveling and you have them on for an hour, you take them all for like 10 minutes.
Starting point is 00:59:41 Oh, and give your ears a break. And give your ears a chance to kind of catch up. My son loves to listen to things way too loud. And my husband freaks out because my husband's a pilot and he would love nothing more than our son to grow up and be a pilot. and he knows hearing is a big thing and he doesn't want him to ruin his ears. Well, that sucks because I listen to loud music sometimes and your husband never cares about my ears.
Starting point is 01:00:04 Well, you're already developed. Yeah. Am I though? That's the real question. You don't want to be a pilot. Maybe. I still think it's, I could do that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:11 Okay, let's go over to Amy because the pile is coming up next. What's inside that pile? A celebrity just dropped $36 million on a house. Yeah. And, I mean, it's a crazy amount of money. also did some math to find out what it would be if a normal person bought this house. All right. What else you got over there?
Starting point is 01:00:29 There's a country that is actually encouraging people to eat something kind of unhealthy twice a week. Oh, now that story I'm going to come back for. All right. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So Kylie Jenner just bought one of the most expensive mansions in Los Angeles. It's 15,000 square feet, has a full-size basketball court, full-size tennis court, and 20 parking spaces. case she wants to have a lot of people over. Do you have 20 parking spaces at your house?
Starting point is 01:00:57 That's insane. Do you have a whole parking garage? At her house? No, no, no, no, no. I think it's outdoor spaces because there's also four guest houses. So I'm assuming maybe in front of each house there's some parking spots or something. How much does this cost? Well, the owner listed it last year for $55 million.
Starting point is 01:01:15 So I'm sure Kylie's feeling good that she got a deal because she only paid $36 million. Yeah, I mean, I guess that's a deal in there. world. But you do have to think, if you have all that money, as someone drops at $20 million, that is a deal for them. Yeah, but she makes so much money. I don't really think that that matters. She is a billionaire. She's only 22 years old. And to break it down to kind of compare it to an average American, Kylie Jenner is so rich that an average American spending $1,000 is similar to Kylie spending about $100,000. Wow. Yeah. So if we lose a dollar, like we might drop it and be like, okay, the dollar's gone. But that'd be like her dropping $100,000 and walking away.
Starting point is 01:01:59 That would mean that her dirty chai latte would cost her about $700,000. Oh my gosh. As compared to me. Wow. A day. Okay. That's like a different planet. What else you got? So our couches are apparently super disgusting and it's not something we really think about that often. But this microbiologist was talking about how we're at home a lot more and we're spending tons of time on our couches and we really should be thinking about how germy they are. And as humans, we shed millions of bacteria and other microbes just from our bodies every hour. So if you're sitting on your couch more, think about it in that perspective. So what you can do is vacuum it more and clean your couch with an upholstery cleaner. I mean, that's a good thing to do, but they said the best way to get it really clean and to kill
Starting point is 01:02:42 germs is to steam clean it. And in your mind, you might be thinking, is that going to be super expensive, but really a handheld garment steamer will do the trick. So if you have one in your closet, steam your couch. That's interesting because I was going to say normal folks aren't going to steam their couches, but if it's just a steamer, because I don't like to iron, but I will steam a shirt. Right. Huh. I didn't know that. I vacuum my couch all the time, but I didn't know you could steam it. All right, what else you got? And Belgians, I just thought this story was interesting because they are calling everybody that lives there to eat French fries at least twice a week right now because they have a potato surplus because of coronavirus. They have tons and tons of potatoes. So they're
Starting point is 01:03:26 encouraging everyone that lives in Belgium to please make French fries twice a week. The Belgium, not Belgian. Oh. Yeah, yeah. I mean, like, if you live in Belgium, no, interesting. They have a potato surplus. Yeah, I guess you get anything. Hash browns though, right? It could be anything. Yeah, it doesn't have to eat French fries. But it's almost like, if you live in Belgium, no, interesting. I mean, it's almost like if you're what, you don't feel guilty about eating your french fries or your hash browns because you're doing a service to your country. Yeah, you should probably still get on that treadmill and knock out some of that. What comfort food do you wish that America would ask you to please eat more of right now? I just love sugar. I just love cookies and cakes. I mean,
Starting point is 01:04:05 so if we had a cookie and cake surplus in America needed you to do your duty and serve the country, you would eat them. Well, if I got a call on my phone, it was like, and I saw the white house. I'll sign it. I'd be like, hello? Yeah, we got a problem here. Yeah, what's up, White House? We just have too many cookies and milk. And I, well, I'm going to go ahead and enlist then and do my best to eat all the cookies and milk. That'd probably be whatever would be. That's basically what's happening to the Belgians in Belgium.
Starting point is 01:04:33 Thank you very much. Amy, is that it? Yep, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. Jerry Seinfeld is 66 years old today. man I saw Jerry Seinfeld once I was doing one of the morning talk shows I think it was the Today show and he was in the hall and I was in the hall
Starting point is 01:04:51 and I really think Jerry Seinfeld's great and funny but he just didn't really want to be bothered he just and I admired that you could just tell he didn't want to be bothered I didn't go up to him and he'd be like no there was no way I never walked up to him but I could just tell that Jerry Seinfeld did not want to be bothered
Starting point is 01:05:08 and it's crazy to think he's 66 years old because he I guess he looks so older, but he doesn't seem like an old guy. Oh, see, I still, I was going to say I don't see older Jerry Seinfeld much because I just see him on Seinfeld. Yeah. So sort of like friends, I see those people as really young until I run across them on Instagram or a different clip and think, what happened?
Starting point is 01:05:31 But, I mean, life happened. It just seems like it happened really fast when really it didn't. So he seems still young to me. Well, since his birthday, we're going to play a game. game. Now, I'm at home. I've been playing some guitar, so I'm going to play you a TV theme song on guitar. You just named the show. Okay, I got my guitar. For example, here's Seinfeld. See, there we go. That's a little bit of that one right there. So you... Sounds good, man. You would have got that, right, Amy? Eddie, lunchbox you got that?
Starting point is 01:06:05 Oh, for sure. I don't know. I think. All right, write your answer down. Since I'm at home, I've got a couple guitars over here. This is the first TV show. Can you name it? Here we go. Everybody have that one written down? Hold on. Yep. I'm thinking. Three seconds? All right, I'll just go with that.
Starting point is 01:06:42 All right. Amy. The office. Lunchbox? Friends. Eddie? The office. It is the office.
Starting point is 01:06:51 There it is. You play that guitar. It all sounds the same. In the first two seasons, because I watched the show every night, there are 66 drum beats. Then when they cut it down, they're only 33. They cut it in half. Wow. You're a big fan.
Starting point is 01:07:07 Boom. I count it every night. Okay. Here is the second song. Mike D. I'm going to have you do a little percussion on this one. All right. There's a little drum. All right. So can you name this TV show by me playing it on guitar?
Starting point is 01:07:38 All right. Amy and Eddie, you're still in it. Amy, what was that song? Friends. Correct. Eddie? Yeah, that's Friends, Bone. There you go. All right, next up, I'm going to play this TV theme song on guitar.
Starting point is 01:07:56 Can you name this one? Okay. That's a tough one. I think I cut my finger. Amy, can you name that one? Full house. Eddie? I always have to double check.
Starting point is 01:08:22 It's not family matters, but I rode down full house. That is correct. That's correct. All right. Get a couple more. Can you name this one right here by me playing guitar?
Starting point is 01:08:49 Amy's struggling right now. Amy's struggling. Let me play this part right here. Here we go. Wow. All right, good. There you go. I wanted Amy to hear that part
Starting point is 01:09:03 so she would maybe know it. Do you have it written down, Amy? I've submitted my answer. What do you have? The Simpsons? Correct. Eddie? The Simpsons.
Starting point is 01:09:16 Nice. We'll do one more and you buzz in with your name. Okay, guys? Love it. Love it. So as soon as you... Whoa. What?
Starting point is 01:09:27 What? Amy, you have a split second. I'm on a delay. No, we're all on the same. No, I'm worse. Okay. It's been proven time and time again. It won't even be close, bounce.
Starting point is 01:09:38 No. Bobby's every. day. Bobby's like, why is it? What's wrong with Amy's connection? Why is Amy so slow? Now all of a sudden when we're playing a game for speed, I'm not slow. And how come all of a sudden, but your answer every day is God made me that way. And now today it's because of your connection. Got her. I've never said God made me slow. Okay, okay. All right. Here we go. Let's do this. Man, whoa. See if you can name it. And go. Amy. Amy. Inspector Gadgett. Oh, of course. She gets it.
Starting point is 01:10:08 Yeah, right. Hey, how about that to lay? Amy. I'm out here getting loose. All right. Amy, you win. Anything you want to say now? Roodly? Well, no. I mean, it just happened to be one that I knew way before Eddie.
Starting point is 01:10:25 But had we known it at the exact same time, he would have gotten in faster. Okay. But Eddie, I don't know how you didn't know that. That was so easy. I let you win. Because of your delay. You did? Yeah, sometimes I feel like it's not fair for you.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Not true. Oh, wow. We're all. Stop it. Okay. Amy, congratulations on your win. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, nonprofit Christian University based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona.

Starting point is 01:13:34 By the way, if you need advice, you can call 877-77-7-7-7-7. Bobby, and we will privately give you advice where millions of people can hear it, right, Amy? Right. It's super private. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't have to say your name and we can still help you out with anything. You can remain anonymous.
Starting point is 01:13:55 Yeah, and the next guy is like, I think I'm taking advantage of someone. If you guys need advice, you can hit up the advice line. 877-77 Bobby. That's the number. Leave us a message. 877-77 Bobby. This is Justin in Ohio. What's on, Bobby? I was just so many speaking me from a vice. I've been mowing for an elderly neighbor for the past couple weeks.
Starting point is 01:14:18 She has been trying to pay me. When I first started, I told her I didn't want any money. I've done it because she's sweet and she doesn't have anybody else to do it. She's paid me a couple times and now is becoming forgetful that she's paying me. I tried to tell her that she's paid me or gives it money back. She gets super emotional. and I just don't know what to do. I feel guilty keeping the money. Any help you could get me will be awesome.
Starting point is 01:14:46 All right, I'd love to help you here. By the way, look at you, Justin from Ohio. Good for you, Moe in her yard. She's probably very, very, very thankful, and that's why she gets emotional. This is what I would say, because you're not doing it for the money. The first thing I would do is say,
Starting point is 01:14:57 hey, thank you for the money, but is there any way that instead of giving me money, you could, like, make me a pie or a cake instead? Because then it's a little time, but probably not as much money. She is going to make sure to compensate you with something, I guarantee it. You can tell that's the kind of person she is
Starting point is 01:15:13 because she's demanding it. And so what? If she makes you two cakes, great. If she forgets she made one cake, you get two? Wonderful. She pays you twice of money. That kind of stinks, right? You feel bad for her.
Starting point is 01:15:22 I would say, hey, Betty, I love mowing your yard, but I'm going to tell you, I've been eyeballing those cakes you make. I would love if you made me one of those instead. I think you both win in that situation. I think she would love to make you a cake, and she'd probably feel like she's giving more,
Starting point is 01:15:38 and then you wouldn't have to take her money. That's what I would. I would suggest. Amy, what's your thought? What if she forgets that she made him the cake? Like I said. She's baking cakes. But taking two cakes is better than taking two things of money. I know. And she's spending all that time baking. Yeah, I had not thought of that. I was thinking if she needs the money that I was going to say maybe you could take the money and go do something good with it. And that way it's not awkward and you don't make her emotional, but you still pay it forward in your own way. Like you don't keep the money. But then what if she's,
Starting point is 01:16:10 she's giving way money that she truly needs. So I'm leaning more into what Bobby's saying. Like find a way where she can appreciate what you're doing but with a talent of hers. Yeah, because then you can also compliment her back and make her feel good about how good it is. So that's my advice to you, Justin. Let me know if it works.
Starting point is 01:16:30 And in a couple weeks, call us while you're eating that cake and let us know how good it is. Eddie, by the way, Eddie's been mowing his neighbor's yard and she's still not said anything to you about it, huh? Nothing, not one word. And I've given up hope at this point. I'm just kind of like, whatever.
Starting point is 01:16:45 Well, you aren't mowing it for any sort of applause. No, it's the last time I'm going to mow it. No, that's not true. I'm just joking. Eddie has a neighbor with a small yard. Eddie has a small yard, and so he just goes over and mows her yard too, but she's never said thank you to him, which Eddie thinks is weird.
Starting point is 01:17:01 In case you miss the show, you're going to keep mowing it, right? Yeah, I'm going to keep mowing it because it's really not a lot of effort for me to just keep on going to her yard. problem is, Bones, what if she has a lawn service and then they're taking her for her money, like, just like, oh, cool, looks like somebody else did it. Because I don't know if she's painted or not. Just watch. You'll hear a lawn.
Starting point is 01:17:22 Your houses in your neighborhood are pretty close together. Mine are anyway. I can hear someone mowing next door. Yeah. No, but Bobby, Eddie's saying the lawn company's going to roll up and they're not even going to start mowing because they're going to think sweet. Somebody else did it. I used to mow yards for a living.
Starting point is 01:17:35 We still mowed. If I'm on the schedule to mow, I mow. And I weed eat. and I edge. Wow. Yeah. By the way, another quick thing
Starting point is 01:17:44 about Eddie real quick. Eddie has two kids of his own. He's fostering two children, so he's a dad of four. He just got recertified as a foster parent again. He has to get recertified every year.
Starting point is 01:17:53 So Eddie is now recertified again. Come on. I hit him up on FaceTime the other day and I was like, hey man, you want to play NBA 2K on PlayStation? And he takes the phone and puts on his computer
Starting point is 01:18:04 and goes, dude, I'm making sure I guess he'll be a foster parent. So that's all going, that's also going pretty well? It is. going well and I don't know what we're going to be doing with the recertification. I don't know what we plan if we want to keep fostering or what and we still have our two kids. So the fate just kind of relies on what happens with them and I'm just glad to be recertified. It's a lot of work, a lot of classes.
Starting point is 01:18:26 So I'm glad that's over and we'll see what happens. Good for you, man. Here are the three biggest songs in country music this week. At number three, Morgan Wallen chasing you. If that's not a number one song, I quit radio. Same. Yeah, yeah. Amy and I are walking off if this is not a number one song from Morgan and Wallen. It doesn't make sense to me if that song is not number one.
Starting point is 01:18:56 You're berserk if you don't make a number one. I don't know what we're doing here. The number two song in country music this week is Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, nobody but you. And your number one song is Ingrid Andres, More Hearts Than Mine. What's cool about that? That is, one, that's two weeks in a row. We've had a female with the number one song. And two, we know Ingrid.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Her very first ever interview period was on our show. And she had done no interviews ever. And I was like, oh, man, you're so good, you got to come in. So she drove up. She had a big old keyboard with her. Remember all this, Amy? Yeah, no. Exactly as you're telling it.
Starting point is 01:19:51 And she just crushed it. But here, this is me talking to Ingrid. Mike, what is this clip of Ingrid talking about here? When she first started playing the piano. Okay, I asked her when she first started playing a piano. Here you go. It is, yeah, I started playing when I was six. My mom taught me, and I hated it at first because she made me practice all the time.
Starting point is 01:20:09 But now I'm really grateful that she did. I took a break from it and played drums for a second, and then that didn't go well. So I came back to piano. So if you're at a place and there's a piano, is there pressure on you to be the one to get up at the party and play something on the piano? Because, like, here, play the piano. I mean, luckily everybody kind of knows not to ever. ask me because then I'll just be like, I'll throw a fit and be like, no. Like what would you get up and play? What song reminds you of like, like fun if you were
Starting point is 01:20:37 just a, I mean, I was like a big emo girl. So like, I mean, cold play, the scientist was one. And I tried playing clocks one time. But yeah, I was more of like an evanescence, cold play, sad child. So that's Ingrid in our studio, our first ever interview. And she came in because if it was before this song was a single, she came in when Ladylike was a song I heard and I was like, complain. So she played that. And then she played more hearts than mine
Starting point is 01:21:05 before it was even released. And now here it is number one. But I have her now. This is her doing verse and chorus? That's the chorus. That's the chorus of Ingrid playing more hearts than mine here on the show. If I bring you home to mama,
Starting point is 01:21:19 I guess I better warn you. She falls in love a little faster that I will take you fire. But you'll be breaking more hearts than mine. Anyway, congratulations. So good. So good. Good to see her grow as a big old number one artist now.
Starting point is 01:21:58 That is awesome. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Sassy cow creamery is taking care of its community during the coronavirus crisis. The Columbus, Wisconsin Creamery, is keeping a fridge outside their store, fully stocked with milk and other dairy products
Starting point is 01:22:20 and anyone can come up and just take for free. They're calling it the kindness cooler and they plan to keep it loaded until the end of the pandemic. It's a big hit with locals. Basically, they're giving away 400 gallons of milk a day. That's what people need. Dairy farmers across the country are having to dump thousands of gallons of milk a day
Starting point is 01:22:37 because demand is down. And so they're like, well, if demand is down and we can help and people need it, let's do it. So boom, they put it out there and people take it. Isn't that crazy? Oh, I love that. Yeah, that's good. That's what it's all about right there.
Starting point is 01:22:50 That was Tell Me Something Good. Disney Plus has said they're going to stream the rise of Skywalker early. They're going to do it on May the 5th.
Starting point is 01:25:18 You know why May the 5th, Amy? Fourth. Fourth, May the 4th. I'm such an idiot. I don't even know Star Wars. Come on. I know. I know.
Starting point is 01:25:25 Oh, I was about to say, may the 5th be with you. That just ain't right. Right. Didn't feel right. So it's May 4th because May the 4th be with you like the 4th. Star Wars day, yeah. I've never seen Star Wars. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:25:40 Morgan just watched all of them, and you like this one, how Morgan? Yeah, that's one of my favorite ones. I really liked it. I even paid $20 to rent it before it came to Disney Plus for free. Eddie, you've seen this one too? Oh, yeah, I've seen them all. I love this one. It just brings it all together.
Starting point is 01:25:57 I've been watching Star Wars since I was a, I mean, probably like three years old. Yeah? So, yeah, I love Star Wars. Because it came out in like the 60s, right? Stop, 70s. Oh, okay. All right, all right, all right. Okay, cool. That's the end of the show.
Starting point is 01:26:11 Morgan, what's happened on today's show that people will like to hear? You and Amy reviewed your forced movies from Lunchbox and Eddie. Yeah, Lunchbox forced me to watch a box full of turd light or moonlight, sorry. Wow, rude. You're kind of giving way your review. Well, they should go here. It'll be fun anyway. Amy watched Parasite. Eddie forced her to watch that.
Starting point is 01:26:36 And she reviewed that. You can hear that. Yeah, what else, Morgan? We got an update on your bike injury. Yeah, I was peeing blood two days ago and just gave you a little update on what I'm peeing these days. All right? And then what else for again?
Starting point is 01:26:53 We played a game of riddle me this. Yeah, if you like kids riddles and listening to adults trying to figure them out, that'll be up there too. Thank you guys. Amy, I'm going to ask you real quick. I know we get the same answer most days, but what's happening today? Well, I'm kind of excited. I'm going to interview my sister for my podcast.
Starting point is 01:27:09 People, I've had her on before, but I put up a thing asking people to suggest people, and I got so many DMs wanting my sister on. So I called her, and luckily she's available, so I booked her today. Nice. So that and then just normal life. It was with Caitlin, and she was like, I'm getting tagged in something a lot. And I was like, what do you mean? She was, I don't know, my phone's blowing up.
Starting point is 01:27:30 And I said, what is it? And they're like, somebody keeps tagging me in something about Amy. And I was like, well, what is it? And it was that question. It was like, did she get tagged a lot of that? Oh, probably. I mean, there was over a thousand comments, which I was expecting maybe 100 comments. And so now I'm still sorting through them. But Caitlin, ah, she might be half of them. So I might need to talk to you about that. No, let's pump our breaks on that one. Well, that's why I didn't even bring it up to you. I didn't even, and I didn't know she would notice those tags. I wasn't even going to bring it up. Obviously, I don't mind calling my sister to have her on. But I mean, Jennifer Aniston was tagged too. I'm not calling her. Let's see. J-Lo and A-Rod. Well, I just, I don't want people to find out that Kailen's an actress I've hired to be my girlfriend.
Starting point is 01:28:17 I'm trying to keep that under wraps. Nice. Okay. You know? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. You know who I'm interviewing today for my podcast? Who?
Starting point is 01:28:26 Initials are CB. So you can figure that out. C-B, Amy. C-B. It's a guy. Wow. Oh, Kane, no. I got it.
Starting point is 01:28:38 Eddie, do you have it? Charlie Brown? Charlie Brown. That's a good one. And the teacher. Won, wah, wong, wong, wong. Hold on. I want to guess this.
Starting point is 01:28:47 Clint Black. Yes, nice. Yeah. Wow. Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that who you had Eddie? No, I had Chris Brown.
Starting point is 01:28:54 Oh, okay, because that makes sense. Well, yeah, so there will be a new Bobbycast up. Today or tomorrow, I don't know. Search Bobbycast, wherever you listen to your podcast. Okay, thank you guys. I'll probably be playing NBA. 2K20. My username is, I think, Bobby Bone's show.
Starting point is 01:29:14 I set it up a long time ago. What? Would now be an okay time to bring up an idea that I have? Let's do it on the post show. Okay. We're going to leave this show and go right to the post show. You can hear that in the podcast, which we'll load up. All right, we'll see you guys tomorrow.
