Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. You're listening to a podcast, so you're doing something. else too. Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you got a real shot of getting it. Redfin helps
Starting point is 00:02:50 turn saved listings into real addresses. Get started at Redfin.com. Own the dream. All right. The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. This will not be any sort of spoil, okay? I'm going to talk about the show The Undoing, but in the most non-spoiler way. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:03:09 I have one episode to go. Where are you? Close to that. I think I'm trying to finish the second to last, so I'm getting close. We stayed up late watching this last episode. Yeah. I think I maybe missed episode four because I'm kind of confused. I know you missed an episode?
Starting point is 00:03:29 Well, I know. How do you do that? Honestly, I can't tell you exactly where I am, but I know I've watched, I started it. I watched a couple. It's really good. It is really good. There have been two really good shows that have come along in the past few months, Queens Gambit and the undoing.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Queens Gambit was so good, but they're all on different platforms. And I thought, because I got the HBO Max subscription, the trial, because I wanted to watch the Fresh Prince Reunion, which was A-plus. How long was that trial? 14 days. And where are we now? It canceled it. Nah, you did it.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Yeah, but then I thought, well, should I get another trial on another email to watch the undoing? Okay. But I have HBO at home. It's also on HBO, not just HBO Max. Didn't know that. So I have it. I've been watching it.
Starting point is 00:04:13 It's great. It's great. It's good. It's really good. I'm going to say great. I thought the Queen's Gambit was almost great. It was really, really good. This show is really good.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Would definitely recommend. Like any show, it's a little slow at first because you're learning the characters. It does feel a bit like pretty little. eyes at times, which was really good. Yeah, I never finished the second season, though. Oh, I only saw the first one. Yeah, great. It was great. But that's where we are. I think we'll probably finish that maybe tonight.
Starting point is 00:04:40 So what's the thing? What do you mean? Oh, I thought you said you had something. I thought you like had something. About it? Oh. Okay. What do you mean? You were going to talk about it, but not spoil it. Yeah, well, I don't know. People are talking about shows that I'm watching, and I would like for them to preface it by going, not going to spoil anything. Okay. You're just saying it's really good. Check it out.
Starting point is 00:04:58 want anyone to change the old podcast or flip off the Facebook page because of that. I did read a story though just now. Elon Musk pledges to put humans on Mars by 2026. Wow, that's soon. That's fast. Crazy. SpaceX may have just put humans into space for the first time, but that's not stopping CEO Elon Musk from making bold new promises. This is from the New York Post. He said on Tuesday, today, huh? Today's Tuesday? No, Wednesday. Today's Wednesday? So yesterday, he said. Oh, my God. I didn't think twice.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Me too. I kind of been lost on this. Since we started, like last week we didn't work on a Thursday, all my days had been kind of screwed up. But he says, hey, we get you there to Mars by 2026, if not earlier. And he means like anyone, this is like a plane ticket? No. So you go there, you don't come back.
Starting point is 00:05:47 No. None of that's true. Okay. Just like the astronauts he sent up just now in that same space. They were real astronauts. But he's going to try to send up folks. to Mars. And I think about that show on Netflix. It was called Away. With Hillary Swank. And the whole thing is about their trip to Mars. Okay. The first humans to ever go to Mars.
Starting point is 00:06:08 And now it's canceled. So now we don't know. Wait, and that's fiction? No, Eddie, it's real. It happened last Wednesday. Just in case maybe I missed it. No one's been to Mars. No one's been to Mars. Right. Well, and you don't even know if in the show. Well, don't spoil it. That's what I'm saying. So I'm not trying not to spoil it. But you are spoiling it by going you don't know because you don't tell people what they know or don't know at the end of a show because it tells them what's coming up at the end okay or do you know but i wouldn't watch that anyway yeah it wasn't good and it's okay and it got canceled yeah and there's no next season it's fine so the next season's in twenty 26 when elong goes but it is a spoil if you go i was just pointed to the finale because something
Starting point is 00:06:48 didn't happen you're like well that's what you just told me what i can kind of expect from a finale Oh, well, I'm going to ask you something not on the microphone then because... Yeah, you have to... Yeah. I don't have to answer it, but you can ask me. Okay, I didn't think I was giving anything away. Ask. Right now?
Starting point is 00:07:04 Is it about shows? It's about that show, so I don't want to ask, because I don't want to give it. I don't want to give anything away. Let's see. Steven Spielberg has a stalker. Did you see this story? No. I would assume he has multiple stalkers.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Well, this is a bad one. A judge granted, Stephen Spielberg. a restraining order against the stalker. He said he's been harassed, haunted by Sarah Char for several months. She sent harassing messages, threatened violence. Quote, if I have to personally murder people, I will. Get me? That's not good.
Starting point is 00:07:35 I don't get it. No, no, no. She's trying to murder him. Meanwhile, Los Angeles law enforcement warned Spilberg that Sarah Char recently tried to purchase a gun. Whoa. She must now stay at least 100 yards away from Spilberg and his family members. 100 yards. It doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:07:49 A piece of paper doesn't make anyone actually stay. away. No, what I'm saying is like, you can shoot someone 100 yards. Good luck. Someone that's not... Hey, proud to say, I shot a few deer more than 100 yards, you know, back of my day.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Okay. According to the documents, Spielberg got a message on Twitter from Char saying, if I personally have to murder people for stealing my IPs, I will. Get me? Yeah. Steven said he scared them and we'll follow through.
Starting point is 00:08:14 Anyway, and if somebody's stalking you and they go get a gun... It's scary. Yeah. Millie Bobby Brown recalls an encounter with a pushy fan. She got emotional on Instagram, and she shared an encounter with a pushy fan.
Starting point is 00:08:26 It's weird to see her get older. Yeah, she's 11 from, or her name's 11 on Stranger Things. And she's 16 years old now. She would recall Christmas shopping with her mom when a young woman said, hey, can I film you? And she was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:08:41 And she goes, can't take a video of you? She goes, no, no, no video. Why would you want to take a video on me? It's not the both of us. And so then the person got mad and caused a little scene. And she was like, man, you guys got to chill out.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Like, not take videos of me. Just take the video and don't ask. Okay. Because no one's going to get mad at you just holding a phone, like far away. Like, oh, that's cool. If you go up to somebody go, can I take a video of you? Of course they're going to say no. It's weird for me when someone goes, hey, can I take a picture of you?
Starting point is 00:09:07 I'm like, why don't you get in it with me? I'd love to take a picture with you. Why do you want one of me? Then I feel awkward. I don't know where to put my hands. So then I always do like some sort of like, put my arms out, like, yo, yo, yo, yo. Like, you don't know what to do? You don't know what to do with your hands.
Starting point is 00:09:22 You put them in your pocket. You put them on your head. The weirdest is, can I take a picture of you? Well, not of us. Yeah. Someone would come on and go, hey, man, get a picture? Absolutely. Come on over here.
Starting point is 00:09:33 No, no, no, just of you. No. What's like, you've done those red carpets, right? Like, where they just take a picture of you. How strange is that? Not very, because you're posed. You're on a wall. And you just kind of know how to stand.
Starting point is 00:09:47 If someone goes, hey, let me take a picture of you. And you start standing like a. model. Yeah, that's weird. Which I'm assuming the people that are used to red carpets and stuff, that's what they would do. No, I don't, I'm with Millie Bobby Brown on that. I would love take a picture with you. Just don't take one of me.
Starting point is 00:10:01 I feel like an idiot. I'm going to look like an idiot. And you talk about if you just do those model poses in normal life? A big idiot. And you're going to look like an idiot on someone's Instagram. They're like, why is he standing like that? This woman shared a text exchange between someone she's calling a Karen and someone she met at a wedding.
Starting point is 00:10:21 The Karen demands the friend change her dog Tilly's name because she wants to name her daughter to be Tilly. So she's like, we need to change your dog. Your dog's name to Tilly? You can't do that anymore? Because I want to name my kid that. Why can't people be named the same thing? Yeah, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:10:33 No idea. Obviously, they're not super close friends. They met at a wedding. Right. One's going to confuse the two. Okay. I think those are pretty much the notes I had to bring up. Your daughter is still doing virtual or not doing virtual?
Starting point is 00:10:46 Your son's doing virtual. What's the mix of here? No, she was doing virtual Monday Tuesday. She's back at school today. She is. Yeah, but she, oh, that was a difficult thing. Because now that she's had a taste of virtual again, and she's really got it down.
Starting point is 00:10:57 And, of course, it's different than how it was, you know, last semester when it was all new. Like, they've got it down, and it's good. And they end earlier. She just gets to stay home. And so it's not, and now that the weather's changing, she doesn't want to go outside. So she's begging me to continue with virtual.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Can you let her? Yes. But it is an option? but I also have a son and he doesn't necessarily have that option, so she's back in school today. She may be the only person I know that hates cold weather more than me. Oh yeah, no. She tried to pitch me some spiel about how bears get to hibernate in the winter and she should too. So like for me to check back in with her come spring.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Well, she's from Haiti. Yeah. I know. I know. She's from the warm environment. Yeah. She is. She's from Haiti.
Starting point is 00:11:46 So I understand it. She went on a hike with us the other day and told me that that's the last hike for the winter. And she's hibernating. She'll come back out. Yes. She said, Mom, bears do it. It's fine. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Check out. Oh, is Chuck on? Chuck looks on? Oh, let me put it on. No, he's on the phone. Hey, Chuck. Yo. How long have you been sitting on a hold?
Starting point is 00:12:10 Eight minutes and 37 seconds. Oh, wow. Welcome. I didn't even look down on the screen. My crack staff didn't. say, hey, Chuck's on hold, so I apologize. I did want to get you on, though, because Chuck has Hulk Hogan on this podcast. Hulk Hogan?
Starting point is 00:12:23 Yeah, that's cool. Hulk Hogan. So what's that story? How did you get Hulk Hogan? So I had his daughter, Brooke Hogan on because I've known her first. We used to be, we lived down the hall from each other when she first knew the town because she's chasing the country music dream, right? She's making country music.
Starting point is 00:12:38 She's been on TV. Hogan's knows best. Brooke knows best. Now she's doing another show called Brooke Knows Nashville. So she's filming that right now. and we're talking about everything and she goes, hey, I'm going to call my dad real quick. I'm like, hold up.
Starting point is 00:12:55 You're going to call Hulk Hogan right now? And she goes, yeah, I'll just call him. Let's see what he's doing. He gets on the podcast. He's watching the voice. He's like, oh, I used to play bass. I was a Hulkomaniac. Bobby, were you a Hulkomaniac growing up?
Starting point is 00:13:10 No, I was more of Ultimate Warrior, but mostly I was sting. I was a little more WCW because they were from Atlanta and I was from Arkansas. but I did like Hulk Hogan. The Hall Cogan was the man. And I told him I was so happy about this moment. I said, Hulk Hogan, I got to tell you something when I was a kid.
Starting point is 00:13:26 I watched you wrestle King Kong Bundy. I was super close to the TV. You lost. Sorry, I didn't want to bring it up to you, but you lost that. And I started crying. And it opens up this conversation where he starts, you know, I guess he came at one with his feelings. He was like, you know, when I watched the voice,
Starting point is 00:13:45 there's this guy on team Blake and he's so good he goes I get emotional watching him just Hulk Hogan man he cries nice check out Hulk Hogan he's on Chuck's podcast called
Starting point is 00:13:56 Talk to Chuck it's Chuck Wicks search for the podcast what's this Brooke show about what network's that on she well I jumped around from networks
Starting point is 00:14:05 it was supposed to be on E now it's supposed to be on Amazon I think they're trying to work it all out check out talk to Chuck with Brooke Hogan and Hulk Hogan and all the Hawker Maniac So many episodes
Starting point is 00:14:18 If you love country music You talk to Chuck All right check it out Chuck sorry I put you on hold so much man So long Here I'm just gonna wait on hold again Until next time we talk Great
Starting point is 00:14:26 Alright there you Hey by the way Chuck's got a new song Coming out Friday Yes Old with you He played a little bit of it here Yeah that's right Yeah but the whole version
Starting point is 00:14:35 Comes out Friday I've been seeing you post about that Are you pumped about that? I'm pumped man I'll tell you I'll be honest I'm hoping this is the song this is the one we're going to actually go to country radio with, so I'm hoping this is the one that kind of puts me back on the map, sort of speak.
Starting point is 00:14:51 And this is, because the cover artist, you and your wife holding hands. Was it at your wedding? Do you feel like this is a wedding song? Is that what this kind of the plan is? I believe it's a huge wedding song, yeah. Okay, there you have it. Check out. Talk to Chuck, and then on Friday, old with you from Chuck Wicks. Starting point is 00:19:41 Morning. You know when everything bagel sounds like a good idea? Yeah. Until you eat it and you still have all the everythings in your time. teeth. Yeah, the seeds and whatnot. And then I still smell it on me. Because the onion and garlic. Yeah, like it feels like a good idea until afterward. And I haven't had a bagel in forever. That's what I did there. Now, here's that voicemail from Amber in Wichita, Kansas. Hi, Bobby. My son, Wyatt, is turning five on
Starting point is 00:20:08 December 11th and he is obsessed with the show. He listens to the Target song and the Chick-fil-A song all the time. He loves it when Morgan number two wins because you're in over broke my heart is his favorite song, which I don't know how I should feel about that. But he told me that this year for his birthday, he wanted you to say, happy birthday or sing happy birthday to him. So if you could do that, this mom would be super excited. He listens to the show with me when we drive to him from pre-K. All right, Wyatt, happy birthday, bud.
Starting point is 00:20:37 You're five years old. You can almost vote. Drink a beer like Luke Combs. Go to school. Well, that's weird. That's real. It's weird, too, that your kids. like songs that they don't know aren't appropriate
Starting point is 00:20:51 because I'm sure you've experienced this too. Oh yes. Like Wop or whatever that is. Whoa, they like that one? Your daughter doing TikTok dances to songs that she has no idea what they mean. Yeah, no idea. Thank goodness, no idea. But yeah, it's got to calm down a little bit. She, her, because Caitlin and Amy's daughter
Starting point is 00:21:08 made cookies the other day. And so Stasherr came over, they made cookies. And she asked Caitlin, let's do a TikTok dance. I can't dance to that song with you. She doesn't know. She doesn't know. She doesn't know. But we actually had to talk about that last night because she was pulling up something to play.
Starting point is 00:21:24 And I heard the lyrics. And I thought, oh, she said what? I don't understand what's bad. But she doesn't understand what they're suggesting with the words. And we didn't either when we were kids. Right. I know. I used to be like, feel a little boat coming through on you.
Starting point is 00:21:41 What? What's that? Next. Too close? Step back you're dancing kind of close. I mean, what? I can't believe they would. let us dance to that at school dances.
Starting point is 00:21:51 The song that I'm thinking of with your daughter goes, is it the same one? I don't even know. You know that one, Mike? I don't know. I just know that I told her we can't play that anymore. But you have to be careful with how you do it because then that makes them want to play it more.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Oh, sure. And then research what it means. Right. Science agrees, the more you age, the tougher it is to remember things. Scientists have found that your brain stops making new cells around the age of 13. It's different for everyone,
Starting point is 00:22:18 but that's the average. After that, no more additional cells, only subtraction. That's why your memory gets worse with age, and it's sometimes hard to remember things compared to when we were young. So if you really need to remember something important, tell your kids. They have more brain cells than anybody. But don't worry about losing brain cells, they say, because the average brain has about a hundred billion cells, but you do lose a little at a time. I cannot memorize the script to save my life. I have to do it over and over and over again and almost build a muscle memory with my mouth more than remembering anything. Wow.
Starting point is 00:22:49 I've just cut promos for my TV show. Fifting anything over like two lines. You gotta feed them to me two lines at a time and then edit me out in the middle going, huh?
Starting point is 00:22:58 What was that again? A woman in Australia who won almost $150,000 in the lottery ignored messages from lottery officials for 10 days because she thought it was a scam.
Starting point is 00:23:08 She thought they were trying to get a hold of her for some money reason that wasn't real. An Australian woman who won the six-figure lottery said she was unaware of her win and that everything happening to her, emails, calls were all a scam.
Starting point is 00:23:22 I had no idea I won. No idea whatsoever. I'd receive some emails. I got some calls. I just deleted them. Then she got a letter in the mail, checked her account, and she had won a jackpot of $146,879. Congratulations to her.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Didn't even want it that much. Yeah, not dead. I mean, answer the phone, people. When someone says you win the lottery, you can't not take that call. Yes, you can. I don't think I would trust it. No. No, no, it makes sense that she ignored that.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Like, how are they supposed to get a hold? First of all, how do they know she won? I'm sure that's some game where they have... Yeah, they must have something in Australia where you have some game where you register. But my thing is, if they call and email, scammers only go one or the other. They're not going both.
Starting point is 00:24:03 So I'm going with, I'm answering that phone. Every scammer now is like, all right. Remember to do both. We know who he. Finally, you ever wondered how much money the TikTokers make? We're talking about TikTok on videos. So TikTok's creators fund Say that an influencer can expect to make
Starting point is 00:24:21 Two to four cents every 1,000 views So 500,000 views on a video, 20 bucks What? That's rough So if you're someone with a staggering number of followers That might add up, but it's not easy If you want to quit your day job and chase TikTok Just know it's tough Yeah I've got a few TikToks that are over 3 million
Starting point is 00:24:41 So you make like I could probably make 25 bucks I mean nothing But so how do you end up getting money? You have to sign up. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know how you make money off YouTube. The company makes money up our YouTube channel.
Starting point is 00:24:52 We just post the videos. Shit. Yesterday we had Paige on the phone. She came on, she played Never Going to get it. She did not win. But we said, hey, if you want to play again, we'll play the next day. So here she is. Back on the phone, Paige.
Starting point is 00:25:06 Paige in Virginia, right? Yes. Yes. How are you today? I'm good. I'm tired. How disappointed were you when you did not win the first round of never going to get it?
Starting point is 00:25:18 It was a hard question. Everybody tried, but, you know, at least we get another chance, right? We do, let's go. Raymond, to hit me with that music clip. Never going to get it. Everybody write their answer down. Today, she gets to pick two of you. Woo!
Starting point is 00:25:32 All right. From the start. From the start. Okay. Here's the question. About 5% of Americans have never seen one of these in person. What is it? 5% of Americans. Americans have never seen one of these in person.
Starting point is 00:25:51 What is it? Show's all looking around. Five percent of Americans have never seen one of these in person. Let me know when you're in? Oh, I'm in. What? Oh, yeah. Amy, he does this, but he misses it every time.
Starting point is 00:26:06 It's true. And every time you're like, I can't believe you went so fast. Don't be a hater because I'm smart. He just races to miss it. Amy? I have three options I'm choosing between right now. Okay. I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Everybody else in? Yeah, in. Morgan? Yeah. Ray. Yep. So who are we waiting on? Me.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Okay. I'm in. You good? Okay. Page, which two show members would you like to pick? Let's go with Lunchbox and Ramundo. Let's go, Paige. Woo-hoo!
Starting point is 00:26:38 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Page, Paige, Paige, Paige, Paige, page, page. I guess it just takes confidence, you know. About 5% of Americans have never seen. seen one of these in person. What is it? She's up trying to play for a marathon $50 gas card lunchbox. My first instinct said dead body, but then I was like, that's a bad one. And so I wrote down, concert. Woo! Can't afford that ticket. Let's go! It's higher than 5%, huh? You would be wrong, though. Huh. That's not right. Okay,
Starting point is 00:27:07 no, he's out. Ramundo. Was it dead body? I ended up going with a celebrity. Oh, that's good. That's a good one. Five percent of people in the whole world. No, America. Oh, have never seen one of these. I always say it's like 95% of people. Yeah. The other way.
Starting point is 00:27:22 No, that's not right. That's fair. Yeah, that's not right. About 5% of Americans have never seen one of these in person. Paige, you get one more. I'll tell you what, if anybody gets it, Paige wins. Good one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:31 Lunchbox and Ray did not win. Sorry, Paige. Let's go over to Amy. A dog. What? That was the worst answer we've ever had. How? You can go outside right now and find one.
Starting point is 00:27:40 No, no. Not if they live somewhere. and they've never To be fair, when I thought of dog, I thought it was the world and I was picturing someone in a jungle or something. Oh, there's dogs out there too. No, no.
Starting point is 00:27:53 I'm going to say water. Morgan. Well, since it's the holiday, I said Christmas tree. Okay. Why? 5% could not see a Christmas tree. These are two of the worst answers ever, right, Bobby? You get to look at the answer.
Starting point is 00:28:07 You can go to the grocery store and see a Christmas tree. That's true. All I'm doing is saying, I'm not saying I want to got it right. saying your answers are dumb. Is it doctor? Wait, I haven't guessed yet. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:28:17 You ready for the answer? I have it. What is it? A snake. No. They already seen a snake. That's a pretty good answer, though. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:28:25 It's not right. That's not it? No. Dang it. If you've seen a dog, you've seen a snake. No, it's not even true. What are you talking about? I see dogs every day driving on the road.
Starting point is 00:28:33 I don't really see a snake. Okay, well, what about? Airplane. No. Page. Do you have a guess? I would say a rotary dowel phone. Okay. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:28:43 Interesting. Not right. Was it? Is it a cat? No. I have that. Is it a baby? A doctor.
Starting point is 00:28:52 A few of us, mostly it happened in the deep south or Hawaii. I've never seen this and it makes up for all of snow. Snow. Oh, that's good. That is so obvious now. Now. A dog. You know what?
Starting point is 00:29:07 Because it's the Christmas season, I'm going to give you this month. Yeah. That's awesome. That's the only reason. because I normally don't because that's a bad precedent, but it's the holidays. Why not? Right? Oh, that is awesome. All right, Paige. You went.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Paige, how do you feel? I feel great. I love this show. I absolutely do. I just got back from a long underway. So the first thing I did when I hopped in the truck, I was like, I got to turn on the radio. I got to hear what's new on Bobby Bone. So definitely super excited. Well, thank you.
Starting point is 00:29:39 But if I ask, how do you feel? Eddie, how do you feel? Oh, I feel so good. Oh, dang it. I can't see, and I can't expect a caller to get it right, Eddie, if you can't even get it right. And you're with me every day. Okay, can I try one more time? No.
Starting point is 00:29:49 No. Amy, how do you feel? All right, Paige, I'm asking again. Page, how do you feel? I feel great. Okay, we didn't get it right, but that's all right. Harder than you think. feel good. Oh, I feel so good. Oh, there it is. There she is. All right, Paige. Stay on the phone. We'll get you this gift card.
Starting point is 00:30:19 Coming from the Basque Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row, the Bobby Bone Show. Remember the Kim Kardashian stuff where she got robbed at gunpoint? Yeah. Knife point. And she had that big ring, right? Is that what they were chasing? Yes, very expensive. Well, she had a lot of jewelry with her, but yes, that ring was definitely, I think, expedited the robbery, because they had been planning the robbery for two years. And they finally saw a moment they were in Paris? Yeah. Well, I mean, they followed her there.
Starting point is 00:30:47 They knew they were not from Paris. Oh, is that right? They followed her there to robber. Yeah, because they were planning it for two years. I don't think that trip had been planned. The way she made it sound, which I got this information from her sit down with David Letterman, was that this wasn't a last minute, oh, they're here. They knew all about the trip.
Starting point is 00:31:08 They had planned out the hotel. they had cameras shut off. They, yeah, they had the concierge at gunpoint. Like, it was the whole thing. It was very well thought out. I kind of thought, oh, mean some crazy people broken, like robbed Kim Kardashian and Kanye. But to think of, they're very secure people. So it had to be a well executed thing.
Starting point is 00:31:27 Well, it just reminded me of this story. There was a social media influencer who was known for flaunting how rich she was. Yeah. And her lavish possessions being shown on her page. and some guys busted in and robbed her and robbed her more than $450,000 in goods. 25 years old reported that three men burst in her home, pulled out knives while her and her son were sleeping.
Starting point is 00:31:51 They tied her up and they put her a six-month-old baby away and they ran off of nearly a half million dollars in valuables they knew were there because they had seen her post about it on social media. Oh my gosh. Well, here's one that's still stealing, but not to that level. Cops are hunting a porch pirate dressed as an Amazon delivery driver who is stealing packages from outside homes walking right up in the middle of the day
Starting point is 00:32:13 dressed as an Amazon delivery driver. I mean, he probably got away with a lot already. He approaches houses that have the packages out and he has a package with them too when he's doing it. And they have him on surveillance but he's wearing a vest. He's got a little thing that looks like Amazon. Anybody asked him? He's like, yeah, I'm Amazon.
Starting point is 00:32:29 That's well executed as well. Yeah. These guys are thinking. Yeah. The same guy that Rob and Kim Kardashian is what I read. I appreciate you guys hang in out with us here, Bobby Bone Show. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:32:42 With Bobby. Tell me something good. A bus driver in Westchester, New York, was leaving a deli after a coffee break when you heard a woman screaming for help. Anthony McPhail rushed to help her four-month-old son who wasn't breathing.
Starting point is 00:32:58 He cleared the infant's airway, performed CPR, and was able to save the baby's life. Now McPhail is being recognized for his heroic actions by elected officials, but don't go call him a hero. quote, I'm not a hero. If I could do it, I do it again and again, but I'm not a hero.
Starting point is 00:33:13 I did it for the baby and the baby's mom. He also urges everyone to learn CPR so they can be lifesavers too. How lucky is she that someone nearby new baby CPR? Awesome. And not someone who has a job where I think they have to know baby CPR.
Starting point is 00:33:28 Crazy. And Eddie knows, do you know baby CPR? I do. I know all the CPR. Well, I'm certified CPR. I'm a little worried if I get called into action. I may miss a few steps. But I think it's pretty self-explanatory. So how you get certified?
Starting point is 00:33:39 I don't know. I somehow passed the test. I have to demonstrate. Is it written or was it? No, you have to demonstrate. On a baby or a doll? On one of those dummies. Not a real baby.
Starting point is 00:33:47 No, no, no. Bring your baby with you in practice. No, no, no. It's a dog. We'll stick something in its throat. Yeah. In action. Anyway, that's a good story.
Starting point is 00:33:54 That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Soccer season's over, but I guess we owed something.
Starting point is 00:38:00 So not only that, season's already over and I was trying to pay late for something. Then I get an email that the check bounced. Dang. What you embarrassed? A little bit. But then I realized I wrote it from a checkbook that no longer. longer the account doesn't exist. Like these are checks from, I don't know, 10 years ago.
Starting point is 00:38:21 Don't even ask me how they came to the surface. Maybe when we moved, it got just put around and it was in the door. So I thought that was a valid check. Should have checked the address. It's like North Carolina or something. But I wrote the check and, yeah, now I have to send in the legit text. But it did take me back to when I was in my 20s, I used to, when I was writing checks, sometimes I would literally be doing the math and thinking like, oh, if this is.
Starting point is 00:38:46 goes through. What's the difference between a hot check and bounce check? Well, a hot check is you know, or you know there's no it's not good for anything. Yeah, but how can they prove you know where I don't know?
Starting point is 00:38:55 Exactly. We had little things, we couldn't pay the bills, but we had little tricks we would do. What were your tricks? Well, one of them was you mail off the bill with the bill in it,
Starting point is 00:39:05 but you leave it the envelope unsealed. And when they call and go, hey, we got it, but the check must have fallen out. Nice. And it ex, well, no, not nice.
Starting point is 00:39:15 We were literally poor. We were trying to find out ways to keep our water. Oh, and it would extend it. Yeah, it would be like, wait, the check's not in there with it? I remember my mom saying that. And they were like, no, it's not. And they would give us 14 days to get another check in. And hopefully by that time, you could have made the money to do it.
Starting point is 00:39:31 Or you can send the check and not sign it and write everything in there, but just don't sign it because they can't put it through. Same thing. But they go, hey, so sorry to bother you. We got your check. It isn't signed. Oh, oh, my goodness. By the time, it's already been three days.
Starting point is 00:39:46 hopefully it gives you a buffer time to have to pay the bills. So a lot of those little tricks. But yeah, I guess is a hot check's not just stolen check? I don't. No, a hot check is if you just intentionally write one when you know you don't have money in the account. I don't know how they can tell the difference. But yeah, if you Google it, that's what they say. But maybe it's because you write a bunch of checks over and over so you know you don't have the amount.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Did they put your picture on the wall, Amy? But they're like, don't trust a check from this person. I've seen those. At the bank drive-through, those are bad. Maybe. I don't know. I definitely was a moment. I haven't felt in a long time. And I emailed that. I'm sure they were like, okay, sure. Just send us the money when you have it. I don't know. Do they not have like a Venmo or some sort of PayPal? I guess not. Because anything that I've had to pay to them has been by check. Oh, I should remind them that. I've been good for all my other checks.
Starting point is 00:40:34 You got some credit built up. You know I'm good for it. I did see a guy with a sign where a guy out on the street, panhandling for money with his Venmo on a sign. Oh, wow. Yes, same. Maybe the same guy. Maybe because I thought that was so smart and very 2020 of him. Well, to me I went, wait, he's begging for money, but he has a Venmo. Yeah, that's a cell phone. So he has.
Starting point is 00:40:55 Yeah, but paying for a home and then a phone, like a phone can help him keep in touch with their people or get jobs. Like, I understand them having a phone. I'm not saying that I understood more or less. I'm just saying that initial feeling I got was, that's weird. He's over on his iPhone 12, which he has to. pay bills on, right? A monthly bill to have a phone. And he's playing Minecraft. No, now you're jumping to
Starting point is 00:41:20 conclusions. He couldn't get enough of best fiends. I asked him. I was like, what's up, man? He goes, you know, Friends Without the R? Best Fiends. Yeah. Here's lunchbox. Dropping his name to get VIP treatment. Where were you? I was at the dancing lights. It's like a display where they have
Starting point is 00:41:36 Christmas lights and they're synced with the music in your car. And I'm talking the line was hours long. Hours long. I was like, there is no way. I'm sitting in this line this long with my two kids and my status of radio. So I just pull up to the cop. I just went up the left side and I said, hey man, look, I'm Lunchbox. Come on.
Starting point is 00:41:54 Like, you got to let me go on the left side, right? So this is audio of, by the way, I don't agree with this. This is me showing you that when you drop your name, you get VIP treatment. This is how you operate in the world. When there's a long line and you got stature, use it. Okay, I'm going to have a little something to say after this clip, but I want to hear the clip first. All right, here is Lunchbox apparently dropping his name to cut a long line. I'm supposed to be going to the far left lane.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Okay. Yeah, big deal, celebrity, you get to cut the line. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's how Lunchbox does it. Hey, if you want to follow this left lane all the way. All the way up. All right, cool, that's all I'm talking about. These people don't understand.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I got to wait. They would have beat you up. Were those horns mad at you? Oh, they were not happy. They were not happy because I was holding up the line because I was trying to convince this cop. Hey, man, let me go over here to the left. I see that there's another, like, conned off entrance.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Let me go that way and not sit in this line. Here's the problem I have. You didn't just get by with stature. You lied to the cop and said you were supposed to be in the left lane. Well, I saw one car do it, and I was like, that must be a VIP lane. That means to be something special. And so that's how I got the idea. I would have had no idea.
Starting point is 00:43:06 But just go up and say, hey, your lunchbox, Bobby Bone show. And the cop knew what the show was. Did the cop know the show? Yeah, he was like, okay, yeah, that's cool. And then they said, ah, ah, ah, because I guess he was radioing people to see if it was okay if I went the other way. And, hey, when you got stature, you got stature. That's like when you go into a restaurant. Back when there used to be a wait, you always say, hey, lunchbox, buy a mon show.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Oh, okay, yeah, we got a table available right now for you. Got to do it, guys. That's the perks of having this job. I've never done that. I would never do that. If it's embarrassing. Why? And I know for a fact, there's times you've done that.
Starting point is 00:43:40 And they have said, okay, take a seat. We'll buzz your beeper when we have your table. Sometimes people don't respect. Mr. Lunchpole, whoever you are, we'll get to you after everybody else. But it did work there. If you knew it was going to work, would you do it? No. Me either.
Starting point is 00:43:55 You'd rather wait in line for hours? I wouldn't go and wait in line for hours. Well, I think the smarter thing would have been to go on the weeknights when not as many people are there. We, you know, try to go on a weekend when it's busier. But I'm telling you guys, when you have the chance, use your name. Bobby Bones carries a lot of clout. Amy, you carry a lot of clout with your name. That's true because he probably wouldn't have been able to get in
Starting point is 00:44:18 if he didn't say Bobby Bones show. Like, I'm Lunchbox. He'd have been like, I don't know who you are. I'm lunchbox from the sore losers podcast. Definitely. Turn around and get back in line. Just go home. Just go home.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I don't agree with that. For the record, I don't agree with that. I wouldn't do that. But I did it. It worked. And here we are. We are happier for it. The kids had a great time.
Starting point is 00:44:40 wife was happy. Yay. Oh my gosh. I just thought about how embarrassed his wife must be. When he does that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:46 Do you have to convince her to do that? She doesn't like it, but when I'm driving, I'm driving, so what is she going to do? But once we get done, she's like, man, that's better than waiting in line. She feels good. All right.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Okay. Bobby Bonsham. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 seconds skinny. Vince Gill addresses those making negative comments about him being in the Eagles. I see a lot of people. making negative comments about me being in that band. It's not going to be the Eagles without Glenn.
Starting point is 00:45:14 I get it. You know, it's my favorite band, too. I don't want to hear me sing New Kid in town. So I'm just trying to do my part to keep some great songs afloat. Dolly Parton is taking over CMT. The Dolly Takeover is happening this Saturday, and it will feature classic music videos, a holiday movie marathon, and personal moments from Dolly herself.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Hardy just got a number one song with one beer, and he talked about how he makes. a song come to life. I think for the most part, most of my cuts and songs that I've had success with so far, my favorite ones at least, have been what I came from and being able to talk about that and translate that into a song. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. This is the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row, it's The Bobby Bone Show. Can you name the only two songs that are Christmas songs to go number one on Billboard? Number one Christmas song. Oh, Mariah Carey. All I want for Christmas. Okay. That's one.
Starting point is 00:46:13 And... Are you guys sure about that? Yes, for sure. If not, that is crazy. Because the charts are weird. It could be the number one Christmas song, but not the number one overall song. This is the number one overall song. But you can have that.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Do you guys want to go with this? Yes. Yeah, I want that one. For sure. And what's the other one you're going to pick? I'll tell you in a minute. Old school. What do you say?
Starting point is 00:46:32 All genre? Who's your guy, Eddie? Ben Crosby. Yeah. Was there a charge back then? You like that one? White Christmas? You're going to being Crosby White Christmas?
Starting point is 00:46:38 That's not a bad one. It's the only guy I know. No. What about in sync? In sync. Merry Christmas. Yep. Okay. Well, I'll tell you in a second.
Starting point is 00:46:47 What about Elvis, guys? Blue Christmas. Okay. Elvis, I guess, I don't know. So, wait, what are your answers? Mine is Mariah? If you get both of them, I'll give you $10. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Oh, wait. There's money in both. $10 each? Or we have to split $10? If you get both songs, I'll give you $10. Okay. So, guys, Mariah Carey for sure, we agree. Saying one of them's Mariah Carey.
Starting point is 00:47:08 Yes. Oh, I thought we each got to pay. No, no, no, no, no. No, we were a team. We just gave you, I gave you all these answers. Oh, you want to be a team? No, why did you all do that? No, no team, that's dumb.
Starting point is 00:47:16 Be individuals. And then he'll pay us separately. Yes. I wanted to be, okay. Okay, I'm Mariah Carey and in sync. Mariah Carey and in sync. Merry Christmas, happy holidays. Merry Christmas.
Starting point is 00:47:27 Lunchbox to you? Man, Eddie, you sold me on Elvis. I'm going with Elvis. What song? The one he told me to. No, no, he's got to name it. What song? Blue Christmas.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Good. Elvis and... Is that the name of the song? Yes. All right. And, man, you're making me think... See, this is what you do. You start making me doubt about Mariah Carey. There's no doubt.
Starting point is 00:47:44 I'm just making sure that you guys know the Billboard chart. All genre. I'm going to go Mariah Carey. Okay, he's got Mariah Carey and Elvis. White Christmas. Eddie? That's what I have. Mariah Carey, all I want for Christmas and Blue Christmas.
Starting point is 00:47:56 Elvis. I would give you guys the answer and possibly the money. Yeah. In the next segment. It's a Bobby Bones show. The question was, can you name the only two Christmas songs to go number one on Billboard? Not the Christmas chart, but the number one all song. You're talking like Old Town Road was the number one song.
Starting point is 00:48:16 Yes. You're talking back in the day, Backstree Boys and in sync. Drake. Same chart. You're not saying old, old people like Bing Crosby, so that's good. Well, I'm just saying. But it could be. Honestly, there could be, I went with hits that I think are hits, but it could be more classic.
Starting point is 00:48:34 And so you all agreed on Mariah Carey All I Want for Christmas. Okay. So, originally released in 1994, all I want for Christmas was ineligible to chart
Starting point is 00:48:47 on the Hot 100 because no physical copies were ever commercially available. But. However. But it spent three weeks at number one in 2019. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:58 Pay me, my friends. No. No, it has to be the number one. You have to get both. I may need to change. So it was. Oh, I'll let it change. Whatever you want.
Starting point is 00:49:06 Change it, please. No, no, he can't change. Why not? No. No. He hasn't learned anything new. Did he Google anything? No.
Starting point is 00:49:14 I believe him. No, I didn't Google. I'm just starting to think that if it wasn't eligible in 90, whatever, there was no- It was eligible because there was no physical copies. Right, right. But I don't think there was any physical copies back in Elvis's day then. Yes, there was. Only physical copies.
Starting point is 00:49:27 All records. Yeah, tons of records. You can't download it. Elvis? Pretty Mama's get on iTunes. Here's a download. card right there, my mom. Download Blue Christmas.
Starting point is 00:49:38 It's only 7 cents download. You got Spotify for a moment? Or IHard Radio. Yeah, how about that? Well, I was confused on how in 94 there were no physical copies then. There wasn't download 94. Okay, because the way they released it. All right.
Starting point is 00:49:55 You changing? No, I'll stick with Elvis. Okay. I think it's a bad move and I think it's going to be one of those boy banders. But if he was willing to let you change, it makes me think it is Elvis. Exactly. Yeah. We're starting to figure you out, Bones.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Well, I'll tell you, first of all, there was one that was really close. January of 2020 this past year, Brenda Lee's rocking around the Christmas tree had climbed to number two. He met her. She lives apparently real close to me. She lives here. Lunchboxes met her and he just went, poo. Where did you meet her?
Starting point is 00:50:29 I've never met her about it. I don't know who that is. The Humane Association thing. Oh, yeah, yeah. He doesn't remember. So this one didn't make it, but there is one more that made it. Is it Elvis? No.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Oh, my goodness. What else do you think it is? The other one would be Bing Crosby, White Christmas. Or. It was one of the back. Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Rock. No. Jingle Bell.
Starting point is 00:50:53 The Jackson 5. Oh. I saw Mama kissing Santa Claus. Yep. No. Oh. I tell you, I love this song. When it comes on, I light up.
Starting point is 00:51:04 Oh, Michael Booblet. This is the next winner? Yeah. Then it's in sync. Merry Christmas. It is not. Oh, boo. It has to be.
Starting point is 00:51:13 The answer is, the Chipmunk song. Really? This Christmas time is here. Yep. By David Seville and the Chipmunks for four weeks in 1958. Oh, that was a day. So all your theories about old songs not being on the chart?
Starting point is 00:51:35 We were close, though. we were. No, you weren't. That sounds like Elvis chipmunks. Me, I want Da Hoola Hoop. Oh man, those are the Dave. Alvin? Alvin? A hula hoop is the
Starting point is 00:51:49 game? Alvin? You actually sounded like a man. That's pretty good. So speaking to Elvis, though, I pulled this song because I saw this in the news. So Dolly Parton had a chance to collaborate with Elvis Presley, but it didn't happen because of a money dispute, and she's talking about it announced that she was devastated
Starting point is 00:52:07 because of it. And the big issues Let her to My Younger Self Dali says Elvis wanted the cover I will always love you in 1974 She said she was invited down to the studio to meet him And he was going to sing her song She said hey that was the most exciting thing
Starting point is 00:52:22 That's ever happened to me who doesn't love Elvis But when she got there Elvis's manager Colonel Tom Parker said hey Elvis wants half the rights Songwriting rights if he's going to sing it And she's like but he didn't write it So Dali said Nope can't do it
Starting point is 00:52:37 said she cried all night long. She was so disappointed. She said, I loved Elvis. Until that day. Well, but good for her. Yeah, good for her. Some people might have been like, okay, fine, it's Elvis. And then, I don't think Whitney Houston
Starting point is 00:52:51 want to sing it later. Yeah, good call. But that's tough. And also, it's kind of a dirtbag move. You imagine how many times he did that to people? And successfully did it? All this, well, there are artists now that will write a word and get on a song.
Starting point is 00:53:07 for a third. Like who? No. Initials? No. That's it. Gender? No. Color hair? None of that. Gender, both. Both. No, I know both to do it. Experts say that if you exercise with your spouse, it will bring you closer together. By matching workout actions with someone else that strengthens your mind. We don't work out doing the same thing, but I will go up and run on the treadmill. and she has some
Starting point is 00:53:35 little machine she'll do it behind me. Oh, but you're in the same room doing it together. Same room. That's good. But she has her music up and have mine up.
Starting point is 00:53:43 We're basically not the same room. I'll be honest. We're just in the same space but we're not paying attention to each other at all. But we do go try to do it at the same time, which is nice. Yeah. And then we kind of feel
Starting point is 00:53:51 like we've just accomplished something together. So read that. Amy, what's coming up in the pile? Well, a country artist made a joke on Twitter that didn't go over so well. And then I have a way you can go to Hawaii for free. Hmm.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Sounds like there might be a catch. There's not a catch. Okay. We'll find out. That's Amy's pile of stories next. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Get this. The state of Hawaii announced that they are offering free round-trip tickets to Honolulu
Starting point is 00:54:26 to people who work remotely and are willing to dedicate some of their time toward contributing to the community. They're calling it Muvas and Shakers. It's a temporary residency program. And if you can work remotely, why not work remotely from Hawaii? But what does that mean? Pick up trash. They're not specifying, aren't they?
Starting point is 00:54:46 Clean off paint. Well, you get to hang loose. Okay. That's what I'm talking about. No, you don't go and hang loose. Guys, there's a catch. Go ahead. You just have to contribute to the community.
Starting point is 00:54:58 Okay, they don't list the catch. You get there. You have to volunteer, dedicate some of your time to nonprofits, local businesses in the area. Definitely clean in toilets, huh? I don't trust it. Applications for the first round are being accepted through December 15th
Starting point is 00:55:13 and 50 people will be chosen for the first group of movas and shikas. I've added some sort of corona test. They give you a special new strand. There's something up here. Hey, get this. And Hawaii currently has the lowest rate per capita of COVID infections. So you can feel safe there.
Starting point is 00:55:29 Okay. Don't trust it. What else you got? So Tom Cruise was out doing some stunts filming Impossible Impossible 7 and in between there was fans there watching him do the stuff so when he would go over to kind of wave and greet them he put on not one but two masks. Good for him. Yes, no, I am applauding him.
Starting point is 00:55:52 He did a blue surgical mask underneath and then he put a black mask over that to match his little suit that he was wearing. I'm surprised. they're shooting Mission Impossible 7 right now. I guess movies are back up and running, right? Yeah. And if it wasn't Tom Cruise, we'd just go, hey, cool, the person's wearing two masks.
Starting point is 00:56:10 But because he leans nutty? Yeah, you think nutty. We're like, what's he up to? Why is it the mask on his head? Well, he's only wearing a mask instead of pants. You know, it's one, but it's not. It's just two face masks. When I used to wear masks before Corona on an airplane, people thought I was nuts.
Starting point is 00:56:28 You guys want to make fun of me. I thought you were nuts, yes. I put a mask on, chill. on an airplane because I want to breathe up but everybody's spitting out. Yeah, you would sanitize your area and everything. I think you're so weird. Well, that's not weird. What else, Amy?
Starting point is 00:56:39 Also, Chase Rice and Florida Georgia Line just put out a new collaboration. It's called Drink and Beer, talking God, Amen. And some people are questioning the way Chase went about promoting it. On Twitter, he first posted, I assume, to get people's
Starting point is 00:56:55 attention. Just lost my taste and smell. Weird. Then, he said, also, dropping a single at midnight. And then he said, on a real note, don't have COVID, and then he shared the details of the song. So people were going after him
Starting point is 00:57:08 for using that and making light of it when people have lost their lives. Well, he also played a concert right in the middle of a big coat. Listen, it's a pretty good song, but Chase Rice isn't known to be the sharpest tool in the shed. So right on brand.
Starting point is 00:57:20 People paid attention. He got it. There you go. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. with Amy.
Starting point is 00:57:31 Tell me something good. So the pandemic has caused a lot of weddings to just get straight up canceled. And for this one couple, Emily Bug and Billy Lewis, they canceled the whole thing and decided just go get married at Chicago City Hall last month. The one thing they couldn't get a refund on was their catering. The people catering are like, uh-uh, nope, you've got to follow through with this. Sorry. So they decided, okay, what do we do with this $5,000 non-referral?
Starting point is 00:58:00 refundable deposit. Okay, we'll have you cook a bunch of meals, deliver them to us, and then they delivered them to people in need. How much was that deposit? $5,000. That was just the deposit. Their catering obviously was going to cost more than that, but that was the deposit they could not get back. So they said, okay, make $5,000 worth of food, and then we're going to share it with people that need it. That's good. What is the catering company? Well, it turns into get people that. All right, that's it. That's what it's all about. Tell me something good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

What do you think of the name is Sunny as a first name? Cute.
Starting point is 01:02:16 Yeah, right? Yeah. S-U-N-N-Y, Sunny. The middle name is disposition. I'm not kidding. The mom has named the kid's Sunny disposition. And then the last name. But why?
Starting point is 01:02:34 The mom to be reached. She recently shared that when he came to naming the baby girl, her husband let her choose, quote, whatever name she wanted, as long as it wasn't something stupid. The mom chose the name Sunny, which is normal enough. But her sister-in-law is one that had the issue after hearing the child's middle name. Sonny did. What?
Starting point is 01:02:53 If you are cheerful, you're off. Yeah, I know what sunny disposition is. I had to Google it. I thought it was something with lawyer terms. That's a deposition. I thought you were going to say this. I'm the lawyer. I swear.
Starting point is 01:03:06 But I did have to look it up. Thank you, Amy. A sunny disposition is like a positive outlook. Like something like that. Yeah. Because your disposition is a weird middle name though. Yeah. Middle name's kind of trash though, right?
Starting point is 01:03:17 No, I love my middle name. I've never used my middle name. What is it? Never. See? I like Louise. Yeah, I know. What I'm saying is like I've never said that in my life.
Starting point is 01:03:27 I had a great aunt name Louise. Okay, that's different. Eddie Louise? We should start calling him that. No. Producer Eddie Louise. No. So disposition's five.
Starting point is 01:03:37 I'm going to have to change my middle name probably early next year to Bones, my official middle name. Wow. To use it in other capacities, to own it. So I think I'm going to have to switch out my middle name. I think when Caitlin changes her last name to my real last name, I'm going to change my middle name to Bones. You're going to be like Thomas Rett. Yeah, but well, that's... When we say Bobby Bones, it's like Thomas Rett.
Starting point is 01:03:57 That's pretty cool. No, because Thomas Rett's his first name. Oh, isn't it his middle name? Thomas Rett. No, Rett's his middle name. Oh, it is. Thomas Red Acres. I thought he maybe had another.
Starting point is 01:04:06 People in the South have like five names. All right, let's go over to Amy and get the morning corny. Let's go. The Morning Corny. What do you call a woman who sets fire to all of her bills? What do you call a woman who sets fire to all of her bills? Bernadette. Bernadette.
Starting point is 01:04:29 That was the Morning Corny. And I didn't even know you're about to talk about names. and I had a name joke. Oh, wow, even better. He really nailed it there. Okay. In the next segment, someone on the show wants to open up their family a little bit. We'll talk about that.
Starting point is 01:04:44 And has privately went and had conversations with other show members about it. So we'll talk about that coming up next. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row, the Bobby Bone Show. I'd mention someone on the show wants to extend their family. They've been reaching out to other show members. Who do you think it is, lunchbox? I'm going to say Morgan number two
Starting point is 01:05:05 She didn't have a boyfriend What do you mean? She's going to adopt another dog And she wants to know if that's a good idea Eddie? Who do you think it is? Oh, Raimundo Hands down
Starting point is 01:05:15 Because he just got married He's ready to extend his family Ray, is it you? It's not That takes nine months We don't have a bun in the oven Okay It's actually Amy
Starting point is 01:05:26 What? Oh And she has two kids now She's adopted both kids but it's not a kid. It's a cat. And I reached out to Ray because Ray and Bay, they have a cat. And I got them on FaceTime so my kids could see their cat.
Starting point is 01:05:44 And my kids are already putting together a presentation of the top five cats that they would like. And I think my daughter's going to make it some sort of a PowerPoint slide show situation. But she's already ranked them, one through five, of what she would like. and then Stevenson's going to rank them, and then I'll have a say. But I don't really know what we're going to do. The problem is my daughter didn't think I would want a cat, but I love cats. I would love nothing more than to get a cat, but I just don't think that it's the smartest thing for us to do right now. But what if it could be?
Starting point is 01:06:21 Because what if it could bring us closer together caring for a cat? Well, can I bring up the last cat you tried to get? Yes. You got a cat, you adopted it, and then you took it. back. Yes. Why? Well, I had Josie at the time, my dog, that we had for like 10 years, sweet thing, but she was a Rottweiler and she did not like cats. So I didn't think about that impulse adoption. To make matters worse, yes, I rescued a cat and had to return it. But now you have Kara, right? I have Kara, but yeah, we don't, I don't know, different dog. Different dogs,
Starting point is 01:06:59 Some dogs get along with cats. Kara might get along with a cat. So we could, I don't know, my neighbor has a cat. I thought about asking her if I could bring it over to see how car reacts. I think that's great. No, they're laughing. I think that's great. Okay, good.
Starting point is 01:07:10 You know, we're thinking about adopting another dog. Yeah. Because I was, sometimes my dog just seems bored. I think it's because he's a bulldog. His face, he's got that face. He's just like, but they say the best entertainment you can give your pet as another pet. And Caitlin want, the thing is puppies are so much work. There's so much work.
Starting point is 01:07:29 But she wants a puppy. And we haven't committed yet because I'm just gone a lot until early next year. So eventually we'll get another dog too. Puppies are work. I even tried to explain that kittens are work because they want it to be small. But I would like a cat that's already old, doesn't have a voice really, and no claws. I would like a dog that's a few years old and just looking for a home. But also puppies need homes too if they're sitting in a shelter somewhere.
Starting point is 01:07:55 Yeah, true. So, all right, good luck. Let us know. Most famous cat of all time? Is it Garfield? No, grumpy cat. No. Garfield more than grumpy cat.
Starting point is 01:08:05 If we're doing a draft of famous cats. Oh, lion. Lion. Yeah. That's a cat. I would go Garfield, Simba, grumpy cat. I mean, what other cats are there? Tony the tiger.
Starting point is 01:08:18 Oh, nice. Tony the tiger. Frosted Flakes. Good one. That'd be a good one. Tom, Tom and Jerry. Good. Salvestor
Starting point is 01:08:28 Oh Thacker Thackeron Thuck at that Taylor Swift's cats That would also make the list Oh that's Scully and something Benjamin and Meredith
Starting point is 01:08:38 That's all I can think of Hello Kitty Oh nice Was Ren and Stimpy was one of those I don't know what they were No they were kind of ugly Pink Panther Oh perfect
Starting point is 01:08:47 Oh yes Panthers are cats Black Panther Oh I don't think he's a real cat He's a human Yeah. Okay. Good call, good call.
Starting point is 01:08:57 Good luck with the cat. Cat in the hat. Thank you. Oh, nice. Not your shoes. Okay. Coming back in a second, this couple's getting married, and they're like, one of them's reading their vows, and then someone in the audience disagrees with the vows.
Starting point is 01:09:09 Oh. yells out. That's in the next segment. Hang out. The Bobby Bones show. A wedding erupted into chaos when the groom's mom flipped out over the bride's vows. During the vows, the bride mentioned the groom has flaws. And that's when the mom said,
Starting point is 01:09:27 You're not going to say my son has flaws. The groom laughed and defended his soon-to-be wife. The mom got angrier and then ranted about having to pay for the wedding dress. Here's a clip from the incident. That dress you're wearing we've paid for. Let's calm down. You're not going to ruin my name. You are not going to say my son has flaws.
Starting point is 01:09:48 Wow. You can get out of my wedding now. I know me. I don't know. Oh my gosh. This is not your day. It's not about you. She's in love with your son.
Starting point is 01:10:00 It's accepted. That's a lot more awkward than I was expecting. I don't feel good right now. It's so awkward. It almost doesn't seem real, but I know it's real, and that makes it really awkward. That's so uncomfortable. That mom had to be drinking, right? Yeah, had to be.
Starting point is 01:10:15 How would you react like that? If you hadn't been... Something's altered her. Can you play that again? That's fresh, you're worried. Let's cold down. Let's calm down. You're not going to ruin my name.
Starting point is 01:10:25 You are not. You are not. I'm going to say, why. That has fallen. Wow. You can get out of my wedding now. Oh, no. This is not your day.
Starting point is 01:10:36 It's not about you. She's in love with your son. It's accepted. Oh. That's a groaner. It's so awkward. Did you guys ever, do you do your own vows? No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:10:49 That's too much pressure. Let's just let them repeat out to the priest. Just tell us what to say. Oh. I'm going to. You're going to ride your own? Of course you will. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:59 Are they going to be funny? Well, you're kind of a comedian. You've got to have some comedy in there. I've been told this is not a comedy show. Because I had some funny ideas. I had some funny ideas. I wanted to dress up one of our friends, whose name is Nick,
Starting point is 01:11:11 is going to be walking our dog Stanley. I was like, Stanley's got to be in the wedding. And so I thought it would be funny to dress him in a tucks that match Stanley's fur. The same color. Brown and white. That's funny. And I was told, hey,
Starting point is 01:11:28 no. This isn't really. comedy show. Dang. I think there'll be, I think the reception will be a lot of fun we can do whatever.
Starting point is 01:11:35 I thought it'd also be funny if I had on a headset mic and did a little song in the actual wet, but mostly again it was bits and I was wrong. But wouldn't that have been
Starting point is 01:11:44 hilarious if he comes down he's a collar on too? I had the whole thing. He had a suit that matched the bulldog, a red collar on just like him, the same, you know, we'll put a tie on both of them.
Starting point is 01:11:54 And no. Yeah, no. Eh, eh. But I, I have to also say that this girl, that's got to be tough for her to kick the mom out of the wedding. That's the, her groom's mother. Even though it's gotten ugly, she goes, hey, you have to leave.
Starting point is 01:12:14 That's got to be a really, that stinks. Anybody having drawn at their wedding? No, no, no. No. Pretty good. I think I'll probably cry during my valves. That's the only little part of me that's like, ooh. do I how
Starting point is 01:12:31 cause I need a little levity to make sure I don't cry not because I'm ready to do a show I get laughs all the time but I'm afraid that I'll just break down and not be able to continue reading the vow yeah and what if I want instead I don't want to hold a piece paper what if I want a prompter like someone rolls up behind her with a prompter that's how you're used to doing things
Starting point is 01:12:51 I have those presidential prompters that are clear okay I just have Eddie roll it up behind her I got you and I'll be like Caitlin we're here today because a little faster ready. A little faster. Mike, are you doing your own bells? Yeah. You are?
Starting point is 01:13:07 Yeah. Wow. I already started working on them. Wow. That I haven't done. I told her the other day, I said, I'm going to start working on mine like the night before. I'm really going to get into the groove the night before.
Starting point is 01:13:21 All right, Lee Bryce, rumor, Bobby Bone Show. Bobby Bone. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row. It's the Bobby Bone Show. There's an invention. that I'm going to tell you about in a second. Some people think it's super cool. Some people think it's super creepy.
Starting point is 01:13:35 We'll talk about that. Also, I found out that there's a member of this show that hates something that most others, almost everybody ever met loves. We'll talk about that coming up too. And then we'll also have a look at our judicial system. Oh, crime and punishment. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Well, it's a really bad story, but how they're handling it, you know, I'm curious about. All that coming up in the next segment, Bobby Bone Show. What do you think should happen to these people? And I'll read you this story. There's a bride that faked cancer, which included her shaving her head. She scammed more than $11,000 out of her friends to pay for her wedding. She just pled guilty to false representation.
Starting point is 01:14:18 What do you think should happen to someone who does this? I don't know if that's jail time, but it's community service at some level or hang back your people back. For sure a payback. For sure, a payback. For sure a fine. a penalty. For sure, some sort of
Starting point is 01:14:35 give back like community service. And also, there's just got to be some public acknowledgement. Yeah, I mean,
Starting point is 01:14:45 basically shame. Like you get on a pedestal and town square and tell everyone what you did? Well, it's not 1827, Eddie. It's worth a finger. It's tough. I think we're throwing people in jail
Starting point is 01:14:59 at times. We can't do that. For things that aren't. aren't really worthy of being in jail. But this is such a heinous thing when people fake to have cancer. You know, God may take care of that one. Yeah, but I'd like to see it a little before God.
Starting point is 01:15:11 Sure, and I get it. I get it. I think God will take care of that one. I'd like to see it a little earlier. Okay. But that stinks. All her friends, one, were sad with and for her and then also gave their money. Was the groom in on it?
Starting point is 01:15:26 I don't know if there was a groom. Oh, she wasn't even really a bride. In an emotional plea, She said she wanted her 57-year-old dad Derek, who was actually suffering from cancer in real life, to walk down the aisle. He died before the big day, but a video was recorded and played at the ceremony. Yeah, the whole thing is just sad and false. And I don't know if jail is the answer.
Starting point is 01:15:48 It's my only point there. Someone invented a pillow with a built-in hand to hold, which I think is amazing. I don't need it now, but trust me, there have been blocks of years in my life where this would have been fantastic for me. if you miss curling up and laying with someone in bed or holding hands at night well this is a thing a woman named madeline robertson was just granted a patent for a pillow that has a built-in cloth hand you can hold she says the handle we made on different material for different pillows you can even lock fingers with it there's no word on or if she plans on making them mass distribution but there's a picture of it here there's a hand i think people will buy this you know i laughed at first but if like our to lose my wife ever. I would buy that pillow. You hold her hand while you sleep.
Starting point is 01:16:35 I would after she, I lost her. I hold Caitlin's hand sometimes when we sleep. You guys are so weird. Like I can't think of this right now being cool, but at some point it might be cool to buy. I'd like that Eddie says, I don't hold her hand now, but if she was dead, I'd hold a fake hand.
Starting point is 01:16:48 I would make her so much. That makes no sense. I would hold her hand. The fake one on the pillow. What about if you get, like, eventually, once you've grieved and you get married again, is that weird if she, I get rid of the pillow.
Starting point is 01:17:01 No, no, you have this hand pillow and your new wife is like, okay, yeah, that's weird. Yeah, it's tough. You might have to let that go. I don't know about the grieving dead part thing. I just think that it's interesting for lonely folks. Like you were for a lot. I've been there. I've been there for a lot of time.
Starting point is 01:17:18 Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool there. I also heard that lunchbox hates French fries. Just wanted to bring this up real quick. Which I've never heard of anyone hating French fries, but you're a French fry hater. I just don't get them. I don't like them. The only reason I eat French fries. fries if I can dip them in barbecue sauce. That's it.
Starting point is 01:17:32 Like, if there's no barbecue sauce, I don't want the french fries. They're disgusting. They just taste like, ugh, they're kind of soggy. French fries are a waste of space. You think French fries are overrated. Way overrated. I've never heard anyone say that. I love French fries. I love them. I love them. Listen, I can eat them cold. Yeah. Oh. I love potatoes. It's great. It's a fried potato. Like you go anywhere and if they can substitute something for the French fries, I substitute it. Like a cup of fruit? Yeah, that's fine. I don't care. What's wrong with you?
Starting point is 01:18:00 Get rid of the French fries. Like, I just don't need him. Well, I get the same sort of reaction that I'm giving him when I hate peanut butter. Can't smell it. Yeah, that's weird too. Don't like to look at it. And I love peanuts. I can eat almond butter.
Starting point is 01:18:17 Hate peanut butter. So weird. Yeah. I don't get it. But if you have, if you listen to the show right now, and you have one of these things that is so common that everyone loves, but you are so disgusted by it. Call us 877-77 Bobby, even if it's our show. Please, not that.
Starting point is 01:18:38 I'll just take it as a column that you think everybody loves this. 877-77 Bobby. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Jason Sloan is a FedEx driver in L.A. And he's filling in for someone that was sick, so he's not on his normal route.
Starting point is 01:18:57 He pulls up to the Rios residence. Like, oh, here's your package. He's like, man, that looks like a fire in their backyard. He goes, I don't have a fire extinguiser, runs around back, grabs the water hose. Everybody stand back. Stand back. I got this. And he put out the fire.
Starting point is 01:19:13 Wow. So he just grabbed the water hose and put the fire out in the backyard? Yep. And the neighbors were coming out. And he's like, no worry, I got it. And they called the Rioses and they came home. They saw it all under the doorbell cam. Everything happened.
Starting point is 01:19:24 Just like he said, grab the hose, put out the fire. fire. Not a hero though. How cool is it that he had the doorbell cam footage to actually see, though? Because no one's going to believe that story. But if you have it on the ring cam, that's pretty cool. That's an awesome story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.

Lunchbox said he hates French fries. Most people love them.
Starting point is 01:23:43 And I said, if you have any weirdo things about you, like I do, like lunchbox says, call us. And I got five. I'm going to run down with five amazing callers. Oh. I'm just going to go down an order here. Allison and Missouri, welcome to the show. How are you? I'm good.
Starting point is 01:23:57 How are you guys? Awesome. What about it? What's about you that you're like, all right, I hate this. but most people love it. My son does not like french fries either. Okay. And I don't like salad dressing of any kind.
Starting point is 01:24:14 Will you eat a salad though, but dry? I love salads. I eat them all the time. I just have to have meat in them, but I don't like any kind of dressing. Nothing? That's weird. Lemon juice?
Starting point is 01:24:26 Nothing. Nothing. Okay. So you can basically go by someone's garden and just have a salad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just eat from there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:35 I'm pretty much how I roll. Yeah. It's so weird. I wish I liked dressing, but there is not a single kind of dressing I can find that I like. I've told you that Kaylin doesn't do condiments. She won't even touch the mustard in the fridge. If I want mustard, she won't touch it.
Starting point is 01:24:48 She's like, you have to get that out yourself. It makes her so sick. Same thing with ketchup. And if she does have to move it, she'll put a paper towel on her hand to grab the bottle. Okay. That's so weird. Yeah, that is.
Starting point is 01:24:58 That's a lot. Allison, thank you for your call. Hope you have an awesome day. Thank you. All right. Let's go to Drew in Florida. Drew, what is it that you hate that most people love? Pancakes and waffles.
Starting point is 01:25:13 Both, huh? What's that? Is it all breakfast breads you hate? I don't know. There's something about the batter, I guess. It's really squishy. It's in my mouth. It's kind of soggy.
Starting point is 01:25:29 And then it's got that sugar syrup on it. Everything you're saying is making me hungry He's describing it's like You know it has that awesome taste And you know it makes you feel so good and full It just oh That wonderful sugary syrup You know
Starting point is 01:25:41 I know And I know every now and then You know I try to get some Like every other year I'll try to Like okay well maybe this is my year That I'm gonna be normal Like other people And yeah
Starting point is 01:25:52 It's the same thing with wine Like wine looks good And I think I would like to taste it And I hate the taste of wine too I tried peanut butter a few months to go on the show. Because I don't think I'd ever tried it. And I hoped I would like it because it's so prevalent. Everywhere and everything. You still hated it? Bill, just terrible. Hi, hey, Drew, appreciate that call. Have a good day, bud.
Starting point is 01:26:15 All right, you too, man. Let's go to James in St. Louis, Missouri. James, what's going on with you? There he is. James, what's going on with you? I think James is fixing his car right now. We'll try it one more time. Hey, James in St. Louis. You there, bud? Got to move on. Thanks, James. Have a good day. To call four, Priscilla in Arkansas. What is it that you hate?
Starting point is 01:26:43 Bacon. Wow. Hang up on her. I hate the smell of it. She said hang up on it. I don't blame you. My husband feels the same way. You hate even the smell of bacon?
Starting point is 01:26:54 I hate the smell of bacon, the taste of bacon, anything that has to do with bacon. I am, no. Just a big, fat, no. And that's weird, right? Because most people love bacon. Wow. I want, no I love. My husband told me, like, before we got married,
Starting point is 01:27:10 like, if you can't love to love bacon, then we can't get married. You lost that battle. I was like, well, I don't know if I can do that. Well, I appreciate your bravery with coming on this show and sharing that with us. Thank you, guys. Y'all have a great day. All right, Priscilla. Let's do one more.
Starting point is 01:27:26 Nick in Mississippi, Nick, what is it that you hate that most people love? What's up, guys? I hate macaroni and cheese. Oh, man. Wow. Wow. What about mac and cheese do you not like? I think it's the noodle.
Starting point is 01:27:43 I'm not really a noodle person anyway, but I don't know. I can't even make it for my kids or my wife or anything. It's just, I'm the same way. I don't want to touch it. I don't want to smell it. Do you hate cheese? No, I love cheese. I even smoke cheese.
Starting point is 01:27:59 I love cheese. But for whatever reason, the noodles and the cheese, I just can't get past it. Yeah, so it's the Mac that he hates. Not the cheese. Yeah. All right, Nick, appreciate that. Hope you have a great day. And you guys have a great day. Enjoy listening to you guys. Thanks, man. Hopefully we'll talk to you soon. All right, thank you for all the calls. Let me mention this. Speaking of calls, tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow morning, we're going to do two days of this, and it's going to be so entertaining, but it's also going to be for such a great cause. Our St. Jude Radioathon starts tomorrow. We have so many amazing guests. Is Miranda Lambert tomorrow? Guys, we have so many superstars that are coming on. Miranda's tomorrow. So many superstars are going to play music on the show tomorrow. And then also the next day, Chris Tableton will be on the next day.
Starting point is 01:28:40 But it's one after the other. And we hope you guys listen, enjoy the music. But if you can, donate and become a partner in hope tomorrow, we would love it. We would appreciate it. If maybe you had a few things you weren't proud of, I think this would equal it out from the year. They can think about those things tonight.
Starting point is 01:28:58 So take 24 hours, think about that. Come back tomorrow, become a partner in hope. Some of you might need to double up. Yeah, become two partners in hope because you did some bad stuff. All right, let's do the news. Bobby's Big. Story. A Virginia woman was arrested after police say she opened fire on a vehicle that had crashed in her backyard.
Starting point is 01:29:18 Police said they were dispatched to the 100 block of Brittany Lane and Warrington just before 1130, Saturday night, because they had reports of shots fired. This is from WJLA. The caller was 74-year-old Nancy Blow who said she woke up to a vehicle crashing into things in her backyard, including her vehicle. She fired several shots at it, striking it as it attempted to leave the area.
Starting point is 01:29:42 The suspect, Catherine Yance, 29, was found nearby unharmed and charged with being intoxicated. According to police, there's still an investigation, what it seems like, this is me speaking now. There was a drunk driver that crashed into her backyard and she just pulled out a gun
Starting point is 01:29:57 I started firing at it. She felt threatened. I would assess the situation before I started shooting, but... You should always assess the situation before you start shooting. Yeah, yeah, good rule of thumb. She is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, unlawful discharge of a firearm, and she was held reportedly on a $5,000 secured bond. And let me tell you, she looked like a mean old lady in this picture.
Starting point is 01:30:19 But also, I'd look like a mean old lady in a mugshot, too. Somehow everyone looks bad in the muckshot. They stood me up and said, You're in trouble. Stand up there. I would look like a mean old lady as well. Let's do another story. Bobby's other story. You tell me if you think it's more amazing or weird. Okay. A baby is born from an embryo that's been frozen for 27 years.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Amazing. And a little weird? Okay. Both? That's crazy. Molly Everett Gibson isn't your average baby. The one month all was born to Tina and Ben Gibson in October after the end. embryo spent. And this is the part that's wild. 27 years on
Starting point is 01:31:00 ice. That baby came out 27 years old. That baby came out with cheaper insurance. Yeah, I mean, I don't do. That's the oldest embryo born. That breaks a record already set by the family. Molly's big sister Emma was born in 2017 from the same batch 24 years after they were frozen. Wow, this is like Ray.
Starting point is 01:31:20 It's like, man, the babies just love MC Hammer. We don't know why. They're stuck in that time. That means M and Molly are full genetic sisters, even though they were born. Wow. I mean, I guess you can be full genetic sisters years away. Sure. Yeah. But they're still full sisters.
Starting point is 01:31:37 Tina and Ben got lucky when they found the embryo from Molly because they were two quality ones that had survived the thawing process. They're not sure how long that they can be viable after being frozen, but we got one 27 and 124. Wow. It's amazing. That's awesome. The only little weird part about it is just how long that they've sat there. Right. And then is there's something we're going to learn about that later as they might they should monitor just to see how they progress?
Starting point is 01:32:05 You're right. Yeah. And they come out talking. And which 90s country artists are biggest fans of? Sure. You know? They all end up moving north because they need to be cold for the rest of their life. What is that?
Starting point is 01:32:16 Okay. That's actually funny. This is Bobby Bunch the show. So last night was supposed to be. to be the Bobby Boneshow Christmas party at my house. It was canceled because I can't have 22 people over at the house. I think the legal rule was like 8 or 10 or something.
Starting point is 01:32:40 So it was pretty sad way to cancel the party, but I'd already paid for the person to come and cook the food. So last night. So everybody, I brought food. You're all going home with excellent food from last night. Yeah! That's awesome. Bring it in. Well, you don't want it for breakfast. You'll get it when you leave today. He wants to eat it right now.
Starting point is 01:32:59 Because it's like turkey and... I'm excited. So that's a little surprise. What we ended up doing last night is basically having a little food packing party. The folks that were tested with me for my TV show yesterday, we all got tested yesterday, and then they were over, Eddie was over, we ate a little dinner, and then we packed all the food for you guys, and we're donating a lot of it too. So there was no Christmas party, but you'll get your bellies full.
Starting point is 01:33:23 Take double. Nice. We will. Don't worry. Take whatever you want, because there is a lot of it. So much so that we can't even donate it all. Because they're like, hey, we can only take so much. And donating, it was a little harder now in quarantine, in Corona time.
Starting point is 01:33:36 But it's all sealed. Everything's right. So that's what's up. There was no party. And then I hired Walker Burroughs to come play piano the whole time. And he was like, can I still play? I was like, absolutely. So I played piano.
Starting point is 01:33:48 Which is the only reason I went. It was very, it was too small of a crowd to have a piano player and that much food. But what are you going to do? In the end, everybody was. It was irritating for everyone this whole year. Yeah. For some worse than that. So that was it.
Starting point is 01:34:07 But you'll all have food today. So there you go. Anything, Amy, were you sad? You missed? Are you happy? You didn't have to go. Oh, no. I didn't know anybody came over.
Starting point is 01:34:16 So I guess I'm sad. It got canceled. Yeah. I was preparing to come. But, yeah. It couldn't happen. Did you get, who got tested? Because that was part of the thing, too.
Starting point is 01:34:30 Everybody need to be tested. Morgan, did you get yours back? No, I haven't got it back yet. I've been tested, though. It took so much longer to get results back to this time. We're a place hour ago. We'd get back in 24 hours. Yeah, I went the day you were like,
Starting point is 01:34:42 oh, we need to get tested or whatever. And I went, and it was like the line. It was shut down. They were cops saying we're at capacity right now. They shut down the testing. Yes. So many people. Dang, that's crazy.
Starting point is 01:34:52 I know. Anyway, there's that. Let me grab a couple calls here. This is Anthony in Louisiana. Anthony, go ahead. Hey, how you doing, morning? Morning, you're cutting out a little bit. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:35:06 Hey, I wanted to crash question. My brother-in-law just got married recently until a girl he's a baby for two years. And my wife and I have a seven-and-a-year-old. And for two years, she's never reached out to us anything. And they just got married last month. And she started sending birthday or holiday card saying Aunt Vanessa or aunt, you know, so-and-so. And I just don't feel comfortable calling her aunt yet due to the fact that she's never met or reached out to my kids in two and a half years. Not FaceTime, nothing.
Starting point is 01:35:40 And maybe just the advice, is that something to be, you know, tell my kids not to call her aunt? Oh, I think this is a way of her reaching out, honestly. I think it's a slightly awkward way of reaching out. But I think, you have every right to have those feelings towards someone that hasn't been in your life and has kind of run from being in your life. However, this is her reaching out. Has she ever sent a card like this before or sent a card, period? Never. Okay.
Starting point is 01:36:04 Never. Not even Facebook friend request. Well, this could be the first step in that. I'm not saying you have to call her aunt. Matter of fact, I wouldn't yet. But I would encourage you to be open to the possibility of there being a relationship that is going to form from this forward. Will it? Probably not, but don't be closed off to it.
Starting point is 01:36:25 So, that's it. You know, no need to shut it down. No need to get mad about her not. doing things in the past. How about go, huh, she's starting to do something. Let's see if this turns into more. Listen, I was estranged from my sister for years almost. We're great now. So, just speaking from experience,
Starting point is 01:36:43 I think there's always, you know, hopefully a little place in your heart where you can go, all right, I think we can now start from right here and see if we can build a relationship. So, and for me, it was, you know, being on my sister's kids' lives, and then we became close again. Also, Caitlin was a big part of that, too.
Starting point is 01:37:01 So, yeah, good luck with that. I hope it works out. Don't be angry at her for sending a card. Be surprised and maybe happy that she did. Awesome. Thank you guys so much. All right, see you later. What'd you think about that?
Starting point is 01:37:12 Yeah, I think that that's fair. People can change, so give them the opportunity. If they're going to do things differently, just be open to it. Like you said, there's no harm in being open. It might be hard at first, but you should give them a chance. Do you guys remember William in Georgia? he called us and he said
Starting point is 01:37:30 Hey I got a tablet, ordered tablet And instead they sent me six of them Oh I remember William And we were like Listen William They're in your possession So you have to make a decision You two said just keep them
Starting point is 01:37:42 Yeah Merry Christmas Absolutely send me one I said let them know And they may say keep them But let them know Because it could be someone's job That's on the line And he did have COVID when he
Starting point is 01:37:51 Right Open him got them So William's back on the phone Come on let's hear this William what's up man Hey, what's up, Bobby? Okay, you have an update for us. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:38:03 So last night after, you know, taking your advice, I decided to call into Walmart is actually the company that did it. I know I didn't reveal that the other day, but it was Walmart. But the lady, she was super nice. She was like, thank you, William. You were honest. My supervisor said that you can keep them
Starting point is 01:38:22 and have a Merry Christmas. What? Yeah. So he did the right thing and got to keep them. This is amazing. That's awesome. Yep. Yep, so I just want to call and let you update you guys.
Starting point is 01:38:35 Well, let me commend you on reaching out to go, hey, you sent us a lot of this by accident. Because, again, it could have been someone's job to send out iPads. And they're like, we're missing five in inventory. Do you steal them? Where are they? And they could have been five. They weren't.
Starting point is 01:38:49 But you called, did your job? Now you got five free iPads. Wow. So I'm going to give you my address to send me one, William. I got you. All right. Awesome. I don't need one. Hey, that's great, though. Thanks for the update, man. All right, no problem, Bob. You have a great day.
Starting point is 01:39:03 All right, see you later. Let's go over and talk to Carter. Hey, Carter and Virginia. How are you? Hi. Oh, my gosh. I'm so excited I got through. Well, thank you for calling. What would you like to ask? Okay. I kind of have two things. First of all, I was wondering if you were inviting any, or if you were inviting any celebrities or musicians to your wedding.
Starting point is 01:39:28 Do you answer that now or do you want to ask both questions? All right, I'll ask both questions. And the second one, I actually sent you a DM on Instagram a couple years ago about this book I thought you should read. It's called Hillbilly Elegie. Oh yeah, I read that. I read it. Sweet. I feel like I thought you totally relate to that and really enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:39:50 And now it's actually a movie on Netflix. I've heard the movie's not very good. though. Is that right? I didn't watch the movie. Did you watch the movie? Not yet. Okay. Mike D., what's that rating? Have you seen it? But you haven't read the book? Yeah, I'm not going to check it out. But I did read the book. Listen, your DM is one I've been thinking about for years.
Starting point is 01:40:09 You remember that one, huh? About the wedding. I'm not inviting anyone because they're a celebrity. There are people in my life that have some notoriety for things that I'm inviting because I think they should be at my wedding because they're friends. Garth? No. What? No. I haven't sent any invitations yet.
Starting point is 01:40:29 But Garth's not someone that I hang out with. I know Garth. I don't hang out alone. That'd be so awful. I wish. Jake Owen would be one that I'm comfortable saying. And I'm not going to go down the list. But it's people like that who I'm buds with
Starting point is 01:40:41 who I'm buds with. That's it. But they also. And if like elbowed them in the rear, they get up there and do something. But there's a band after. Go play with them. Yes.
Starting point is 01:40:49 Could it be awesome. So I'm not inviting any. Although I think I'll invite, I was asking. I was like, should I? Because I don't know if I should invite. I'm inviting Luke, Brian, because he's a friend and we do American Idol together and comes in here. But I'm like, should I invite Lionel Richie? Ooh.
Starting point is 01:41:03 Yes. Absolutely. 100%. How cool would that be? That would be amazing. I wouldn't stop staring. That's the problem. I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:41:13 But then if you just invite a few from American Idol that you work with, is it weird if you don't invite. Katie? Ryan. This is not bringing a piece of gum to class. everybody's going to have a piece of gum. This is a wedding. If I don't call Simon. Randy Jackson.
Starting point is 01:41:29 I was just thinking about Lionel because Lionel was like, hey, what's your address? I want to send you something. And I was like, oh, I should probably invite Lionel order to the wedding. He may not come, but an invitation will be nice. He probably won't come. There's a few of those that I'm inviting that I know won't come. But if they do, if they do come.
Starting point is 01:41:47 The band's ready? The band is ready. Yes. The band will know Amarillo by morning. All right, Amy. Even though I've only met George Strait twice. And he probably doesn't know who you are. Yes, he does.
Starting point is 01:41:58 I doubt it. I doubt it. He might remember. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row, we are the Bobby Bone Show. That's right. On Friday, a new episode of The Bobbycast is out, and I'll tell you why this is cool. Because I talk to Jessica Harp. You may know her from the Wreckers in this song here.
Starting point is 01:42:16 There's her and Michelle Branch. They had this number one song back in 2005, and I was like, hey, where did you guys go? Come back. And so she lives in Kansas City, Missouri now and just kind of told the story of the wreckers, how her and Michelle Branch got together, where they went. And I said, hey, would you ever do a reunion? Here's a clip of that. It was originally a joke. Michelle's ex-husband had named us the Cass County Home Wreckers.
Starting point is 01:42:49 But that got shortened to the Wreckers because we couldn't think of anything else. We actually, you know, we're in touch. We still talk. We talk about the records and what we might feel like doing with the records in the future. So, yeah, the potential's there. And I said, hey, I got a radio show for you to come do. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:05 Pretty cool. So check that out on Friday. Subscribe to the Bobbycast. Check it out. Love it. In a second, I'm going to play a clip. This girl's doing a TikTok and someone breaks into her house while she's doing it. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:43:15 Yeah. I'll play that for you next. The Morning Show's official YouTube channel. Go to YouTube, search Bobby Bonn Show, and subscribe today. The Bobby Bones. Starting point is 01:46:23 There's no safe like SimpliSafe. Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailored to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron.
Starting point is 01:46:51 Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. Kevin in North Carolina, you're on the phone, and I appreciate that. What's going on with you?
Starting point is 01:47:25 Hey, buddy, how you doing this morning? Pretty good, how you doing? Good. I heard that you were colorblind. Yeah. And I have a question for you about a crystal gift. Okay, go ahead. head? I cannot turn my speakerphone off for some reason. I hope it's not bother me. No, that's all right. Go ahead. So my cousin is colorblind, and I was thinking
Starting point is 01:47:44 about getting some of these glasses that apparently can allow colorblind people to see colors. And I didn't know what your thoughts were on if you'd ever tried them, if they work, and if it was like if you give that as a gift, is it like giving like a handicapped person a cane or something? Like, you know, I don't want to be. What's wrong with that? If I needed a cane, I'd Love him gain. Yeah. Yeah, man.
Starting point is 01:48:08 Listen, I'm really colorblind. I've tried them because one of my eyes doesn't work at all. They were funky for me. Like, so a little bit
Starting point is 01:48:18 when I tried them on, but I have friends that are colorblind that it's changed their world. I think for most folks that are colorblind, if you can identify which colorblind
Starting point is 01:48:25 they are, it'll help. I think it's a great gift. I mean, if you're colorblind and someone's gonna get you some glasses that's pretty cool. Yeah, that's awesome.
Starting point is 01:48:32 So I would say it is a great gift. You know, I had two different, eye appointments in the last week. Went to the, Caitlin's dad is an eye doctor and so went and just did an eye check.
Starting point is 01:48:43 And so I'm going through and my right eye doesn't work. And I've always told Caitlin my right eye's not good. And she's like, are you sure? You're sure? I'm like, I'm, like, I'm. And so I had her sit in the room while her dad and he does the exam.
Starting point is 01:48:55 And he's like, yeah, listen, you're legally blind. You have almost no vision out of your right eye at all. And then I was like, boom, what are you think about that? She goes, you're so weird right now. You're bragging. bragging that your eye doesn't work your braggis because you know I love
Starting point is 01:49:08 a good sympathy story and so then I did the colorblind test and there are certain of those because there's a circle and there's a number hidden in it somewhere
Starting point is 01:49:19 and some of them I can see perfectly the light number in the dark circle I will nail but when you get greens and browns together I can't see anything
Starting point is 01:49:29 there was a moment during the test I was like are you screwing with me there's nothing there it looked to me because I could never see those things you'd stare at the poster and they would come out of you have dinosaurs and stuff did you guys ever see those yeah yeah no yeah I couldn't either really
Starting point is 01:49:41 you would sit there at the mall for 30 minutes and be so frustrated and I'd be like these are the stupidest thing ever well I couldn't see them and then yesterday I had to go take a vision test to get my CDL to drive the big rig and so I had to get a whole physical and she pulled out she said we had to do a colorblind test now and I was like oh god I'm not going to be able to pass this and so I didn't pass part of it but apparently it's okay to be colorblind as long as you can identify three certain colors, which are red, green, and yellow. Yes. So she pulled out different things. She's like, what color's this? And I was a little bit insulted. I was like, yellow. I didn't realize what she was doing. That CDL test is no joke. And then what about, do you have to have like good, what do they say about your bad eye?
Starting point is 01:50:22 Glasses. That's fine. Yeah, they're like, I put my glasses on and took part of the test. She's like, you just have to have your glasses on all the time. Same thing with driving a car. Okay. So, or a contact. And I have a, you know. She's like, if you have contacts, so you have to have your glasses with you at all times in case you lose the contact. Yeah, I did that. Yeah, Kevin, have that. I think if you can afford them and get them for your friend, get them. Yeah, they're a little bit pricey. That's why I didn't want to kind of jump into it if you thought it might be a bad investment.
Starting point is 01:50:47 Which is why I led with if you can afford them because they are a little bit pricey. But if you can afford them, I think they're a great investment. Because it's probably not something your friend will buy for themselves. So it's a good gift. No. All right, bud. Okay, well, thanks. You all have a great day.
Starting point is 01:51:01 See you later. Appreciate that. a woman was filming a TikTok video when an intruder came through her patio door. In the video, it's her doing a dance, and all of a sudden she stops when she notices him climbing through to get into her apartment. Here she is telling him to get out.
Starting point is 01:51:15 You'll hear the music playing that she's dancing to first. Here you go. No, please get out. Please get out of my apartment right now. Please get out of my apartment right now. Get out. Get out. What was that song? Is it like the river?
Starting point is 01:51:31 Will you play that again? No, please get out. Please get out of my apartment right now. Please get out of my apartment right now. Get out. That makes me feel crappy. You can hear the fear in her voice. And, but she still said, please.
Starting point is 01:51:47 And she's doing the dance, and all of a sudden she goes, like when she sees them. That scares the crap out of her. She backs away. She says, hey, get out. The man is asking, am I your friend? Oh, no. That's what he's saying. At the end of the video, she runs to her neighbor's apartment, calls 911.
Starting point is 01:52:01 They identified the man. He's been charged with burglary in the third and fourth degree, second degree assault, stalking, and malicious destruction of property. Apparently he did a bunch of stuff where he got there. All those other things aren't from... But yeah, that's a weird video. Yeah, you see her at the phone kind of jump as she runs to her neighbor's apartment to call 911.
Starting point is 01:52:19 And you've got to wonder, what's he doing in my apartment while I'm over here. Yeah. You know he left for like ten pair of panties. That's what I think we would know what he's doing. Okay, okay. Let me play this. This is Lauren from Arkansas. I just wanted to tell you that I love your show and you're such an inspiration for me and a lot of other people in Arkansas, but especially me.
Starting point is 01:52:44 I just, I love listening to your show and I love you and I think you're awesome. And yeah, so yeah, I would just, yeah. So, yeah, shout out from Arkansas. Yeah. With pig, Suey. All right. So, yeah. There you have it.
Starting point is 01:53:00 That's a great call. I appreciate that. Call us if you want. We'd love to talk to you either live right now, 877-77 Bobby, or if you're listening on podcast or call later this afternoon, we have a voicemail line. Leave a message right there. Vin Diesel stopped on the side of the road and helped a woman change your tire. Just pulled over and did the deal.
Starting point is 01:53:22 How cool is that? It would be so cool. Because you know while he was down, you would do that fake, that selfie where you're trying to sneak it over your shoulder. Oh, for sure. per NYC's Joan Wall, quote, on the 405 near the Los Angeles airport, my car broke down, a flat,
Starting point is 01:53:37 I pull over to the shoulder, I put on emergency blinkers, I hang a white hanky out the driver's side, a call AAA. A car stops behind me. Outstep someone who knows, who they know from seeing it on TV or in the movies, and he says it's Vin Diesel.
Starting point is 01:53:52 I open the trunk. He pulls out a jack on a spare. Changes the flat tire. I thank him. Give him a hug and some handy wipes. He jumps back in the car off he went. Nice.
Starting point is 01:54:02 That's pretty cool. That's awesome. The part that makes me the weirdest, though, is that they're all hugging during corona. You don't know if Ben Diesel didn't have Corona? What are you getting tested? Yeah. Who was he just with? That's a great story.
Starting point is 01:54:13 But I guess if you're going to get it, if you, you know, the contact, if they ask you, who have you been around lately and be like, I got it from Vin Diesel. But what if you see Ben Diesel's Instagram? Now he has it and you're like, oh, no, did I give it to him? Oh, for sure. You're worried now. Oh, true. The other way.
Starting point is 01:54:26 Yeah. Okay. Let's go over to Morgan. What's on the podcast today, Morgan? Well, Amy may be expanding her family soon. That's true. Very true. And you need to hear this.
Starting point is 01:54:35 It was a very in-depth conversation. What else? Lunchbox tried to get VIP treatment at a Christmas event in town. Yeah, if you want to be repulsed by someone on a radio show, I think this might be the segment that does it. Huh. What? I'm trying to think what you guys did to be repulsive.
Starting point is 01:54:51 No. What else? You and Mike D shared some news about your vows. That's true. We read them to each other. We've written vows for the show. And so we read them to each other. It was sweet.
Starting point is 01:55:00 And we talked about the only number one Christmas songs. Yeah, there are two songs, only two songs ever than went number one on the billboard chart. We talked about that.
