This guy was bragging to 911 after he fleed the cops.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Did you see this story? No. By the way, the show's over for today on a Tuesday. And we just keep going. times. A 19 year old guy in Florida fled police before they were able to get his license plate number, but then he called 911 to brag about it. And so they were like, okay, cool, you just called us from a phone? We're going to track your phones. That's what we do at 911. That's how we get places. They tracked them and got them because he called them to brag.
Starting point is 00:03:16 So. Can't be bragging. First of all, don't need to be to any of that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. This one ran over a guy who called her rude. Do you see that story? I'm just wondering what was going through. I mean, was she? The first thing in my mind was like, ooh, was she hormonal? Oh, maybe in her period.
Starting point is 00:03:35 That's what you think? Mm-hmm. A woman ran over a man at a post office over a confrontation. The issue began inside the post office. The woman initially flung the rope into the post office and hit the guy. He was carrying multiple packages, so he dropped all the packages. He called the woman rude, and then as she walked out, she ran over him. She was arrested when she was arrested when she was.
Starting point is 00:03:58 return to the scene when they were looking for paramedics. Why would she go back? The check on him? She felt bad. No, she needed to mail something. Oh, okay. Is that really? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:04:08 I don't know. Because I would have been like the, oh, crap. I forgot to know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. After I ran over him, I forgot to do what I was there to do. Yeah, I don't know. Sometimes people do that, don't they? Go back and, like, you do something and you're like, whoopsie, didn't mean to do that.
Starting point is 00:04:23 I should go back and check. Nope, I just run. I moved to a new city. I get out of it. Leave. Amy's husband flew us to our show last week, and I'm only talking about this because of that story. And you know how you talk about he gets road rage sometimes?
Starting point is 00:04:35 Oh, shoot. Does he get road rage in the air? Well, the joke was, Eddie and I's joke was, we hope he doesn't get plain rage. Like, we hope there's not another plane that takes him off because we are in trouble. Whatever another plane cuts him off, and he starts following it.
Starting point is 00:04:46 And then we're like, oh, right. And we're like, that's not what we're going. I made the joke to him, hey, don't forget the keys in the plane. And he's like, there aren't keys. The only keys is to the door when you get in and out. Oh, he probably, he's took everything. Seriously.
Starting point is 00:04:58 When he's flying, he's very serious. I truly didn't know that, though. What? There's no key to the plane. There's no ignition. I thought you really got inside that. Did you guys ever learn how to drive and struggle with that clutch thing? Yes.
Starting point is 00:05:11 I don't know how to touch. Did everyone learn with a clutch? Nope. Because that was kind of, Bones, you did. Yeah, I was 11. Oh. That's crazy. When you live in the country, you have to learn.
Starting point is 00:05:22 Because I wasn't driving on the highway, but I would have to drop. No, I was maybe, I was maybe, yeah, around 11 or 12. It's when my mom first started dating, who later became my stepdad. And so I had to learn how to navigate the deer woods and go pick him up at different places. If we were running dogs or if he was going to meet us in another place, he'd be like, okay, I need you to meet me over here. He had no way to get him up if he was going across. So at 11, I had to learn how to drive a stick. And I wasn't good at first.
Starting point is 00:05:47 It's hard. It's not easy. But yeah, I learned to drive really early because we were just hunting all the time. We should get Arkansas-Kethon, huh? Yes. I mean, but yeah. When are you going to go? visit him? July. Do you want to go fishing? He'll take
Starting point is 00:05:59 us out. I don't know what you're doing, but you can go with this if you want. Is that during our vacation? I don't know. I mean... If it is, I might go with you. It could be a weekend. It probably will be during vacation for at least no more than like two days. Okay. We'll chat. Yes, I would love that. Yeah, and he'll take a striper fish. It's certainly with strawberry fish. You have to catch shad first.
Starting point is 00:06:19 With a net? With a net. And... I can't figure those casting nets out. You don't have to. He's great at it. Okay, okay. So my whole life, I spent backing in boats and driving him to catch Shad, and then you take the Shad and you go, and he was a striper guy for a while, too. Amy, those nets, you know he was talking about? Like, they're just big nets with, like, weights at the end, and you have to throw it, and it ends up being a perfect circle. Yeah, it spreads itself. You cast the net.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And then you're catching your bait. And then it sinks over the Shad, which are like, I would just say, for sake of the story, silver minnows. And the net holes are so small, they can't get out. Then you pull the net up like you would, a crab or shrimp or what. And you have all the, and then you put them in. they don't live very long, you have to use them that day. And then you use them to catch a striper or like a hybrid or I've lived so many lives. Talking about this, it's so natural for me to talk about.
Starting point is 00:07:07 Like, when's the last time you went fishing? Like that, 10 years. Longer probably, right? Yeah, probably. But it's so weird. You forget how old we are now. Yeah, once I get into that. Probably's like when I was a teenager 10 years ago.
Starting point is 00:07:20 I've been with him in the last 10 years. I'm just kidding. But like regularly it's been a while. But that was every day for me. It was every morning before school. No. We would see the Trout truck drive by when they were stocking. We would just leave school.
Starting point is 00:07:32 You just go. Oh, trial truck drove by going to the ramp. We just don't tell anybody you just get in the car and drive off. And we would leave school. Oh, to go get trout? To go catch trout. Really? Because you saw the truck dumping them?
Starting point is 00:07:44 We knew the truck. That's awesome. It didn't matter how many, you know, trout stamps you had. Yeah, yeah. You just catch them at their own back because the game warden was always near the truck truck. But it's so funny. because I started talking about this stuff and I don't ever
Starting point is 00:07:58 and you know and I'm like dang I have lived a couple like different lives over the years I was talking to one of my friends last night and he started talking to me
Starting point is 00:08:08 in Spanish a little bit being funny and I was like oh no no I know what you're saying and he's like how do you know Spanish like why don't I speak it but I lived in Texas and all my friends were Mexican yeah for a minute there
Starting point is 00:08:17 it was all us Mexican dudes and then Bobby life number four was me and all my Spanish friends and we were just chilling and everybody would talk Spanish around me Hola. Okay, Amy.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Thank you very much. Whatever, I took it. You're just finished. Back off. Amy's dad. Straight up talk Spanish. He's fluent. Yeah, because he grew up in South Texas.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Shout out Dilley. Dilley, the watermelon capital of the world. That's right. Do you know how I know that? Me, probably, because my grandpa was a watermelon farmer. Anything you want to say? We're kind of running short on time today. By the way, I asked people, I was like, hey, because we had a couple of callers today that we're loving on the show, and I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:08:55 but let me scroll down here but we were like stop let me read a couple of these here here's one I've been curious with the differences between the contestants this season on Idol and last year last year they seemed to love each other more I would say the opposite actually I think this year the talent was far better this year
Starting point is 00:09:11 and I thought they all they all really got along this year last year they weren't so much but this year hey Bobby these are all texts coming in you have to watch the Netflix movie called Always Bema Maybe Kiano Reeves is in the movie and so funny.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Overall, the movie's okay, but Keanu is the best part. Well, fun fact, I just watched the Keanu part only. I fast forwarded to watch the Keanu part only. Was it funny? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Yeah, Keanu Rees is funny. I don't picture him being funny, but okay. You won't watch Bill and Ted. His segment was funny. Don't be a hater. You were a hater when I first broadcast. I know. I know.
Starting point is 00:09:46 I'm sorry. I'm a recovering. Why do you hate on him? I'm a recovering Keanu hater. Sometimes I can't myself. I'm really trying to embrace Keanu. And I was on Keanu before being on Keanu. I know you were. You're the only reason why I'm even giving him a chance. Okay, here we go. Hey, Bobby and friends, I love the show. I listen on the podcast every day. You keep asking, but I can't think of anything really I would change. But I do think you're all being a little hard on Morgan number two in dating. I also recently came out of a long relationship. I think it's very hard to think of committing again. After two years of unapologially dating and not settling, I found an amazing guy. Good luck to Morgan number two. Don't rush, don't settle. Hash, B, team.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Morgan number two I don't feel like we're hard on you I feel like we just talk to you like a friend Like we would like bust your balls Like anybody else I don't know I don't think you guys are hard on me I just take it like it's advice You guys know more than I do
Starting point is 00:10:34 I'm still learning I don't know that we know more than you do Everybody knows from different places too because you're looking at Eddie He's like 100 I've been out of the game He's like 50 years You know
Starting point is 00:10:43 Yeah I don't know about this swipe left stuff You guys do Yeah Swipe right Whatever See that's my point There you go
Starting point is 00:10:50 Well listen I don't want to give you a hard time I think you just keep being you. No, thanks. You probably, I mean, listen, you're partying a little bit. Oh, boy. Yeah, you know, I just, but I mean, okay, Bones, you haven't been there, but all of us, we've had those, those
Starting point is 00:11:05 I haven't been there, you're right. Chapters in our lives. I never had the chapter of just going hard. Yes, we all have. I would go hard at, well, no, there were times where I was going real hard at studying. Oh, okay. See, that's not what we're talking about. Or, like, you know.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Studying. Or, uh, trying to get better at my job. Or like, do you're getting a bit of my job. double workouts every day. Reading two books a day. You're crazy. I would go hard at that. Yeah, we went the opposite direction.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Yeah, I know I need to do that one day. I don't know if you do. You know what I've been doing lately though? It's been kind of fun again because I haven't been traveling to California. Is I just sit at home and like Mike D. and I'll just make up bits, which we didn't normally get to do a lot. We would just come up with bits for the show, but now we just like... Just for fun?
Starting point is 00:11:50 Well, we're just... Do you guys just laugh at the bits? No, for like radio bits. That's work, bones. That's work. But I know, but we really have been focused on, like, doing some cool stuff. I like how you're brave. How do we get on a, that sounds fun.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Well, we have a game show. I have ideas. We have a game. Amy, send them in. Yeah, or call. Have ideas. Because sometimes, no, I do send them, but sometimes I don't feel like they translate over text. Like, I feel like I need to.
Starting point is 00:12:13 But we had this conversation. Then what are you supposed to do? I wish sometimes that I submitted things to you on FaceTime because I could really talk you through it. Not even that. We sit in that room every morning together. You and I... Yeah, but we're busy. No, no.
Starting point is 00:12:26 We always have a few minutes to talk. Yeah, but that's when we talk about, like, not work. See, I can't win. See, my stuff is if it doesn't get used, I'm just like, it was too good for them. They don't get it. Ah, that's it. I'm too smart for them. Over their head.
Starting point is 00:12:42 Over their head. You'll wait until your next show. Right, right. All right, we're going to get started here with a Tuesday show. By the way, Caroline Hobby stopped by and did my show. Pretty interesting. She talked about how much she got paid to them. Amazing Race. She did it twice. That whole story of she got dropped from a record deal.
Starting point is 00:13:00 And she was like, I'm done. She had like an emotional breakdown and moved away. And right about the time, she's like, boom, Amazing Race called. It's a great story. Check out the new Bobbycast with Caroline Hobby. And we shall get started on Tuesday's show. And away we go. Bobby Bones. The Bobby Bones show. This is Otis Gray. And for this season of On the Job, we're hitting the road to tell amazing stories of real people and their life's work. a young woman making dolls for an underserved market to folks falling in love at the office. Each episode will surprise you. I had an aunt, a widowed aunt that raised me. Well, the first thing
Starting point is 00:13:34 they taught me to pull me up to a cook stove and taught me how to cook. Check it out by searching for on the job from Express Employment Professionals in the IHeart Radio app or wherever you listen. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're transmitting across America. Welcome to Tuesday show. More Studio. Morning. Thanks, everybody, for being here. You know, yesterday there was this whole story about the five things you need to do in order to wake up with a good morning.
Starting point is 00:14:09 One was, like, have your coffee, two is to get plenty of sleep. One of them was listen to music when you wake up and when you drive to work. And I guess I wonder, like, what song or songs do you have on a repeat right now? Amy, let's go to you first. What's your repeat song you have right now? Oh, right now, Alexa, my house is playing a lot of I don't care by Ed Shearin and Justin Bieber. Yeah, is that because your kids keep yelling for it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Yeah. It has a really good, like, dance to this. When you say Alexa, you mean your kids. Yes. Does your son still think Alexa's a real person? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:50 He doesn't understand that, like, she's AI. That's lost on him. So I don't, I don't try to explain it right now. He still wants her to come to his birthday party. I still think you'd dress someone up as Alexa and have her show up. They fight, though. She hasn't been understanding some of his,
Starting point is 00:15:10 when he's been talking to her lately, and he's very frustrated when she doesn't understand. Oh, when Alexa's like, I don't understand what you're saying. Yeah. Why don't you understand me right now, Alexa? And then he has a conversation with her. Yes. I have a couple.
Starting point is 00:15:22 I listen to this song from Allen Stone. It's a remake of Georgia, but he has a real cool version of it. Georgia, Georgia. Oh, that's good. Yeah. The whole day through When he played our show
Starting point is 00:15:38 A few months ago It was awesome There's a new sweet soul That keeps Georgia On my mind It's a cool version, huh? I like it This name's Alan Stone
Starting point is 00:15:52 When Georgia Georgia A song Oh love you And then this song by Stereo Saga Nothing's up Nothing's a Damn too
Starting point is 00:16:11 Lunchbox was on a repeat with you. Morgan Wall and whiskey glasses. Yeah. Are you listening to music? Oh yeah, I've been doing a better job this whole year. I mean, we're six months in. I've been playing that I-Heart radio at the house, just listening to the albums.
Starting point is 00:16:32 And whenever a new album comes out, I'll turn it on. I'm like, all right, let's check this one out. That was a resolution. He's hanging to it. Good for you. I'm in it. I'm in it, which was like more things on Instagram. It's like actually.
Starting point is 00:16:49 Oh, yeah, I've seen your name more on different posts. And I forget sometimes. It's like four days. And I'm like, oh, crap. Then I'll just go on like everything. It doesn't even matter what it is. I'm just like, oh, I've got to catch up, but I'm trying. Eddie, what is yours?
Starting point is 00:17:01 Oh, right now I'm really on to love someone by Brett Eldridge. Me too. It is such a good song. Morgan number two, what song do you have on repeat? It's definitely Lizzo. Truth Hurts. Her whole album is my jam. It is good.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Ray, do you listen to the music at all? I listen to a lot of sports. A lot of vacation, just your song over and over again? Yeah, yeah. Raymond is always posting people that listen to vacation. You don't retweet anybody. repose anybody that has vacation? They take the time to do it and they're at a beach or something.
Starting point is 00:17:48 It looks cool. There it is. Oh yeah, he would prefer for repost if you're at the beach. Did you say that? I think he said that. I said boats or beach. Boats are beach. What are you doing for a vacation, right, Moe?
Starting point is 00:17:58 Going to Hawaii. Are you? Yeah. Really? Yeah. Look at you. When are you heading out? The trip was gifted, so I'm not paying.
Starting point is 00:18:06 But yeah, in like a month. You got a gift a trip to Hawaii? Yeah. He's one to clarify that. What a gift, bones? You're welcome. I'm acting all like, oh, I had no idea. No, you want to win?
Starting point is 00:18:18 A month. Wow. Are you excited? Very excited. Dang. Baller? Here's the Bobby Bones show podcast, highlight segment of the day. So lunchbox should try to take his wife out on the date, which I think is a pretty sweet gesture.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Yeah, Mr. Romance is what they call me. Who calls you that? My wife, or I call myself, maybe. Okay. You said they call you. Well, my wife, me, you guys, I mean, American. Never called you that. I don't think of it ever.
Starting point is 00:18:47 So, anyway, so what was the plan in your mind? So my wife has been talking about this new Indian restaurant that was in our neighborhood. She's been driving by and she's like, oh, they're working on it. It's going to open. It's going to open. And then she was like, it's open. I want to go so bad. She'd been talking about it all week.
Starting point is 00:19:00 So I did a little surprise. I hire a babysitter, get it all lined up. Wife gets home from work. I'm like, get ready. We're going to eat. I got a babysitter coming. So the babysitter comes. We go to the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:19:12 We walk up. She's surprised, by the way. She's like, oh my gosh, that's so nice. Mr. Romance, I can't believe you did this. She gets all smiley and she goes and gets all dressed up, put some earrings in when she doesn't do that often. And we go to the restaurant, walk up to the door. It doesn't open for another week. Dummy.
Starting point is 00:19:33 No, not me. She's the one that told me. Oh, I think it's open. Like, I'm so ready to go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. And so I took it upon myself that she did her research because she's been watching it being transformed.
Starting point is 00:19:44 in the neighborhood. They've been painting and putting in new windows and put a sign up, so she thought it was open. So then what did you guys do? So we just went to some random restaurant that, I mean... That's still good? Yeah, but to go on a date. But it's not as exciting when you have this whole plan like, oh, I'm going to surprise you with this new restaurant. And then we just went to one of the ones we always go to and it's not as exciting. What do you guys talk about whenever it's just you two and out the baby? Do you talk about the baby? We talk about the baby a little bit, but we just talk about life and how crazy it is and, oh, we've been together this long and whatever's going on our day or she saw something on TV.
Starting point is 00:20:18 I mean, you talk about different things. You just talk about everything. But you try not to talk about the baby all the time because you talk about the baby enough when you're with the baby. It's not like Toby Keith. You talk about the baby, and you're talking about the baby, and you're talking about the baby. I want to talk about me. I want to talk about live.
Starting point is 00:20:34 So, yeah, I mean, we just talk about this and that and upcoming things and, like, vacations Do you like, do you like it when she dresses up? It sounds like when you, she says, you're putting earrings, she doesn't dress up for you very often? No, because with the baby, it's harder to get dressed up because when you're going places, you're going to have baby vomit on you and you're going to have snot. Interesting. So what's the point of getting dressed up? Interesting.
Starting point is 00:20:58 I mean, you're just going to wipe the kid's snot on your clothes and, like, if you're feeding it a bottle, oh, you get some milk on you? I mean, it's just like, okay. How long were you guys out? Oh, we were out for a couple hours. Oh, good. And Mr. Romance still came to. That's pretty good. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:21:12 We do like that. That's a good effort there. Isn't that what it's all about effort? Yes. And that was effort for sure. Definitely effort. And thank you for calling him by his name. Yeah, Mr. Romance. Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Rainbow, what you got? In Jeopardy News, James Holsauer finally lost after 32 straight wins, so his streak is over.
Starting point is 00:21:31 In the Stanley Cup final, St. Louis B. Boston, 4 to 2, that series is all tied up at 2 now. I was telling you about this woman going in, and she has a brain tumor. And they're like, hey, we think you have cancer in her brain. And so it's in New York, and they're going. going, all right, there's probably a marble-sized brain tumor.
Starting point is 00:26:12 We're going to go in, and the brain, ugh, you got to go touch that thing? Like, what's even going to happen to you when you wake up? And so in January, they go in, they start cutting on her brain, and she's 42 years old. Because what was happening was she'd be holding that coffee drink, and she'd, boom, just drop it. She couldn't control it. She couldn't remember words. She would pick up the phone and call relatives that had already been, they weren't alive anymore. And then we're like, yep, it's in your brain.
Starting point is 00:26:39 And we think we found it. And she goes in, they're doing the surgery, and it was a tapeworm. Oh, my gosh. Ugh. Is it a parasite? Yeah. It was a parasite in her brain. Now, two things.
Starting point is 00:26:50 One, you go, oh, my goodness, that's gross. It is. Two, they were so happy. It was a parasite because they pulled it out, and she's okay. Oh, my gosh. They were like, yes. We're so happy because it wasn't cancer. They have no idea how the parasite got there.
Starting point is 00:27:03 She's never traveled outside of the United States. Oh, wow. She hasn't had uncooked meat that she knows. Crazy is that if you just eat like an uncooked hot dog, though, you can get a tape arm in your head. I'm shocked she hasn't, like, left the country. That's crazy. But it was a tapeworm. They pop in there and there's a tapeworm.
Starting point is 00:27:21 I told you that Tim McGraw had to leave the stage due to choking. Okay, here you go. You ready for this? Ready. This is, on this day in country music. The Bobby Bones Show. On this day in country music. Today in 1999, Tim McGraw and more than 400 fans were forced to evacuate his charity concert in Michigan.
Starting point is 00:27:39 It happened after a woman used pepper spray against a man that she said groped her. During the show, after she shot the dude in the face, it was so close to Tim McGrath. He fell on his knees, Mitzong, choking. Oh, my gosh. Frightened audience members all took out, they ran, coughing, holding shirts over their faces. Tim McGraw was right in the middle of taking requests from the audience whenever this happened. and a lady said, I gave you $500 if I can sit on stage with you
Starting point is 00:28:11 as you perform a song and get a hug. And so as the song began and she was walking up there, pepper spray, he dropped to his knees, everybody got rushed off stage. If you're wondering about the woman in the hug, she came to a different show yesterday and got her hug.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Oh, okay, good. Proceeds from that night still were $10,000. But they rushed him off like the Secret Service. I was at a movie over the past weekend, and there's this movie with that Gerard Butler. Yeah. And he is guarding the president. And these bats are flying over. And the president's Morgan Freeman.
Starting point is 00:28:49 And they realize the bats are drones. And the drones start shooting and everything. And it looks so good. Or sounds good. I haven't seen it. And it's probably going to happen with the drones. The fact that you can just fly a drone over anything just about quickly. But it looked, I don't know what it was called.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Angel has fallen. It's one. It looked good. It's like one of those Harris and Four Protects the President-type movies who we used to love so much. It looked good. Just a heads-up. And I saw John Wick 3, and that was good. Just a heads-up. All right, good. Bobby Boom. Come on. This woman almost lost her lottery prize because she kept getting a call on her phone, and she didn't recognize the number, so she wouldn't answer it, so she wouldn't go get her prize.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Oh, that would happen to me. Me too. I get so many these robocalls that I don't think I would answer it either. Like, if it all came down to someone going, hey, you. you won this, we need your information. One, I wouldn't answer it. Two, if I did, be like, information. I'm not giving you anything. You're crazy.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Yeah. We'd miss out on it twice. Yeah, so I can just totally see that happening to me too. Alyssa in Georgia, how are you? I'm good. Hi, Bobby. What's happening? Everybody's hi to Alyssa. Hey, Lisa.
Starting point is 00:29:56 Hi. Hi. Well, first of all, love the show. Love y'all. And I just want to say, I'm super excited that y'all are playing in Savannah now, which I've been a listener for a long time, and when I live in Virginia, that's how I found y'all. But when I moved to Savannah, you guys were on the radio, I was listening to the podcast for a while. But on Friday, I just happened to be on the station, and I heard y'all, and I was like, is Bobby Rulian?
Starting point is 00:30:21 And y'all are here in Savannah? Here we are. We're back in Savannah. Well, thank you very much. Thanks for listening. Love you, guys. Bye. Okay, bye. See?
Starting point is 00:30:31 Here she comes. Does her deal? Jumpes out. That lottery cost. I was talking about $139,000 that she almost didn't win. But I get so many of those calls, man. I probably get five a day from numbers that are almost like my number. And then sometimes I'll just get a random number.
Starting point is 00:30:47 And on my phone, it'll say what city is calling from. Is that normal for everybody's cell phone now? Yes. It'll just say United States. Do you get them from other countries? I do. I figure they're all from other countries. Oh, no, it'll show up like a weird number from I don't even nowhere.
Starting point is 00:31:01 And I'm like, oh, definitely not answering that. I had a friend that I was telling me he does some work in accordance with Facebook He doesn't work for Facebook but he works with them It says a lot of these Facebook bot accounts Because they're all over Facebook and Twitter That there's like a
Starting point is 00:31:17 They call a farm in South Africa Where there's just hundreds of people Just creating these accounts and botting Oh my goodness That's why they create like fake me accounts Fake Blake Shelton accounts And they try to hit people It's not really a farm but it's called a farm
Starting point is 00:31:31 That's crazy It's like a big office building with hundreds of people and all they're doing is creating fake accounts, trying to find people that are vulnerable enough to think they're talking with them and to get money. Wow. It's like dating and me, like I ask 100 girls. Just one says yes, I win.
Starting point is 00:31:46 I was telling Eddie over the weekend, I was like, hey, man, I just, I have no shame about DMing girls anymore. I don't even say super famous girls. What are they going to do, not respond? He even said pick one. I'll DM them right now. Yeah, I was like, all they can do is not respond to me. You know, people like us, kind of famous people.
Starting point is 00:32:04 or super famous people, I'll be like, what up? If I send 10, I'll get like seven no responses, two blocks, and like one. You get blocked? Sometimes. Yeah, sometimes. What are you sending? Why would you get blocks? Yeah, what are you sending, though?
Starting point is 00:32:19 Yeah. Don't worry about what I'm sending. Anyway, I thought that story was funny, where she almost didn't win the lottery because she didn't answer her phone. Glad everybody's here waking up with us this morning. Let's do Kenny Chesney get along. I got a Kenny Chesney fan account that came at me or acting like, Kenny Chesney the other day. He was like, hi, a dearest fan. And I'm like, that's not how Kenny talks.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Do you respond? I know you live on the farm. Yes. Tell me something good. The historical edition. Lunchbox. The year is 1947. A 28-year-old man steps out onto Ebitsfield to play for the Brooklyn Dodgers, and he breaks the color barrier of Major League Baseball.
Starting point is 00:33:01 And that guy was Mr. Jackie Robinson, the first African-American. to play Major League Baseball, and 50 years to the day later, Major League Baseball retired his number from every single Major League Baseball team. That's why, Amy, if you go to a ballpark, you'll see number 42. It's 42, right? Yeah, 42. You see number 42 on every, like, wall. It's retired. You can't wear it anymore. That cool. Got it. Yeah. Look at that. Tell me something good. The historical edition. That's a big one. That's what it's all about right there.
Starting point is 00:33:33 That was Tell Me Something Good. This story of the day. This story comes to us from Oregon. A 34-year-old man was driving a stolen car when police tried to pull them over. He's like, oh, no, this ain't going down this way. Fleas. And he gets away, but he needs gas, pulls over, and in a hurry he doesn't think about it, puts the gas thing in, starts pumping. Put in diesel instead of unleaded.
Starting point is 00:33:55 I got two things. One, he had to get gas in a chase, jye light. It's a pit stop. And then two, he puts in the wrong gas. And so his car wouldn't start. so he was just stuck at the gas pump when police arrested him. He didn't even run from the gas pump? He just gives up.
Starting point is 00:34:10 He knew it was over. He's like, man. I'm probably going to be on the bonehead of the day. Great. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Starting point is 00:37:23 Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple, nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. Bobby Bones show. Let's go over to Tate in Virginia. Hey, Tate. What's up, man? You good? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:10 What would you like to say? Just that we've been listening for a while, and my boys are in the truck right now. I'm really excited. We're on the show. Oh, look at you guys. Yeah, what are the boys' names? I got... My buddy King and my buddy Fink with me.
Starting point is 00:38:26 You forget their names? And my fiancee's listening. Oh, what's her name? Grace. All right. Well, shout out to all of them. Anything else you want to say? I'd like to get on the show for trivia one day. For trivia? Oh, you want to play when Bobby's Money? I can tell you already, Tate, I would dominate you.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Just by the conversation. Bobby? Dang. It wouldn't be pretty. He couldn't remember his friend's name. And he forgot he had a fiancé. And he wanted to play me in trivia? I mean, I think we might play with Bobby. I'm going to get the dub. Oh, this is how he's talking, And it's not going to affect me
Starting point is 00:39:04 Tate, if you called and said I would wager something against you Now I don't want your money But if you were to wager Like a shaving off an eyebrow Like on Facebook Live We got to watch that or something Then I would definitely play you
Starting point is 00:39:17 Because that would be fun for me Otherwise If we get me on there for TV And you beat me I'll shave my head Yeah but you may be looking for a shaved head Tate you're gonna have to give me more than that Think about it. Give me a call back later.
Starting point is 00:39:32 I appreciate it, bud. All right. I just can't let people sucker me into playing them. Just by calling, I'm talking garbage. Because you know how it usually ends? I win like 21 to 2. And then he's got to shave his head. I want someone to come out and meet.
Starting point is 00:39:46 I wouldn't mind being beat. I can stop playing the game then. Well, he seemed pretty confident. Yeah, okay, everybody does. Okay. I'm pretty good at that game, though. It's one of the games that I've really thrive at. I do have this clip here.
Starting point is 00:39:58 This is a woman who won my boxing gloves. Have you heard this, Amy? I have not, no. So on my Instagram, so I have a couple boxing gyms in town. And so sometimes I'll just go like, I'm going to switch gloves. And I sign fight ground repeat and sign them. And then we give them away on the site. And I didn't think much about it, but we just give them away.
Starting point is 00:40:14 Babe, what's wrong? That's funny. He's from her Instagram. So he filmed, who's filming her finding out. How does she find out? We just posted who won. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:35 Did you use the gloves? Yeah. Yeah, definitely stinky. Has Bobby's sweating there. He's in like 15 times And I was like, I'm moving on to the next one So I just sign him and give him away We get a lot of people asking for advice here
Starting point is 00:40:47 And they send it in the mailbag Bobby's mailbag This is from Stephen Everybody listen closely because this is the problem We all need to weigh in on Hey Bobby, I'm a big Seinfeld fan I had a poster that was signed by the actors Who played the four main characters
Starting point is 00:41:02 Jerry Kramer, George, and Elaine Oh, my cool That's awesome Yeah This poster has always been very important to me because watching Seinfeld with my dad is one of the few times I got to spend time with him and he personally went and got it signed
Starting point is 00:41:15 and gave to me my 21st birthday. So yeah, it's just a dumb poster, but it has a lot of sentimental value to me. Now, my wife and I have been trying to raise money to start a college fund for our two kids. As you do, we've been selling stuff we don't need anymore, and I guess you can see where this is going. My wife wants me to sell a poster on eBay.
Starting point is 00:41:32 We had an argument about it. It did not go well. Am I overreaching by wanting to keep it, or is she right that I should sell the poster? It's from Stephen. Oh, man. Amy, I'm going to think of my husband's, what are those little airplanes he has around the house?
Starting point is 00:41:51 The model airplane? Yeah. A model airplanes. He's a pilot, though, and you're hating right now. Oh, but they're, in like one of them belonged to his dad, so I get it, it's really special. You can't, I don't think, even as much as I don't really care about these model airplanes, I could never ask my husband.
Starting point is 00:42:10 sell them. I just couldn't. So I feel like that's where if I tried to, because trust me, I was cleaning it one day and it fell off the mantle and the little propeller broke off and that caused, like, he thought I did it on purpose and I didn't. That caused a fight. So like asking him to sell it, it was just not happening. So same thing with the poster. She can't have him sell it, right? That's your answer? That's my answer. You can't. You got to find something else. Lunchbox, what are your thoughts on this? Oh, get out of town. She has no right to come to him to sell such a prized possession. He doesn't go and ask her to sell
Starting point is 00:42:47 like anything of her moms. That is something that his dad and him, a special moment, and you are asking him to get rid of that, I would get rid of her before I get rid of the poster. Oh, wow. That's extreme. That's really extreme. So if you had to pick, you'd pick. I'd pick the poster. I'd pick the poster to keep her and sell her. Yeah, get her out of here. Okay. A poster can help raise your children. Or she could get a second job. I mean, what's on with that? I think there are a few factors to play here. I think, first of all, if she's willing to part with some of her real sentimental things.
Starting point is 00:43:18 But it's also, we're talking about a college fund with kids way in advance. So if it were right now, and like your kid needed surgery, you sell the poster if it's for something right now. No doubt. So I'm not married to the idea of just holding on to the poster forever. This is a good point. But I think it's all, much like all of life, it's not one or the other completely. Like you say, hey, if we get and we actually need this amount of money, money later on in life. And it's only going to appreciate value, too.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Seinfeld's only going to get cooler because of how big it was. It'll be a historical piece. For sure. My advice would be tell her, hey, listen, I will not sell it right now because it means a lot to me. But if it gets to the point in 10 years, I promise you, and we don't have enough for college, I will sell this poster. That's what I would say. I'd make it deal with her. There's no reason to sell it right now. It's a college fund. You're kids. You're kids.
Starting point is 00:44:09 we got paper college right now. If it were a right now thing, though, it's a different story. Would you agree with that? I agree with that, yeah. So I don't think you should just hold on to it forever. And also, what is she sacrificing? If she is also sacrificing her things,
Starting point is 00:44:23 that's something in play too. Or let me throw one more nugget on it. If he just got like hidden behind a, in a closet, and it's not like somewhere where he actually spends time with it. Like proudly on display? Yeah. Oh, no, no. Then it's in conversation too.
Starting point is 00:44:39 No, because that could be part of the conversation. Well, you can do that with anything. You can say, I don't want to sell this shirt because I word around my cousin. What, Eddie? Right now on eBay, there is a poster autographed by the cast of Science Development for sale, up for bid for $750. I mean, that's pretty good. No, that is nothing for college. College costs $20,000.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Well, mine didn't. Mine was like three. Mine definitely wasn't. Mine was pretty cheap. And it will only go up in value. You can even lay that out. Baby, why am I going to sell it now? We hold on this in five more years.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Can you imagine the money we're going to get? That's good point. We all kind of agree, but for different reasons, but we say hold on to the poster. Yeah. We all are in agreement there. Everybody good on that? Yeah. And that's the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:45:22 And that was Bobby's Mailbag. Thank you very much. The Bobby won't show. It's a really good podcast called Get Real with Caroline Hobby, and she talks to a lot of really, really strong women in country music. It's all Nicole Gallion's on. And Nicole Gallant is a songwriter who wrote Tequila. When I taste tequila. All the Pretty Girl.
Starting point is 00:45:45 Coming home with Keith Urban. And so she talks about winning song of the year that she wrote. And Dan and Shea, they all go up and they let her talk first. Dan was so incredibly gracious and was like, Nicole, you go first, which I was not ready for. So I had really been prepared to just say one thing because you just never, I don't want to be that person that's like you can't hear him anymore because the music comes. in. I said what I wanted to say, which was like, I hope my kids can look at this and know that they can do anything. Pretty cool. Dan and she had to go, you talk first. Yeah. And then finally on this podcast, she talks about how she kind of knows her worth. When I'm in a
Starting point is 00:46:22 room now, maybe we're talking about what I'm going to get paid or what I'm worth in a situation. I don't feel shame for asking for more. Oh. Because I've, gosh, that's awesome. I've worked through that. What, you know, and hopefully I figure that out early enough to be a good example for my daughter for that, you know. It's a really good podcast. Check out Get Real with Caroline Hobby. The guest is Nicole Gallion, who's a great songwriter. It's a friend of mine.
Starting point is 00:46:46 But yeah, it's a fantastic podcast all the way around. She has on Caroline Brian, Luke Bryan's wife. She had on Brittany Aldeen, Jason Aldeen's wife. It's a really good podcast. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, nonprofit Christian University based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. Okay, so a man decided to propose to his girlfriend 30 feet underwater, which they were scuba diving, and I think it's like super romantic and awesome and all
Starting point is 00:50:50 because it's something they like to go do, and, you know, he's been planning it forever. But could you imagine being underwater and pulling a ring out of your pocket? If that thing slips out of your finger and floats away, like, what? It probably fall, huh? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Or than float. But if it goes down, it could go into the sand. Shark's mouth. Rocky bottom. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Yes. So, but she said yes.
Starting point is 00:51:14 And I thought it was really creative and awesome. Again, it's something he had to really plan big time. But he even got down on one knee down there, 30 feet underwater. That took a minute. Very slowly. She saw it coming. Lunchbox, did you ever get on a knee with your wife? Ever?
Starting point is 00:51:31 No, never. We did it over the phone. And then whenever. we went to the ring store, or she picked out the ring, I went and bought it and then gave it to her, and there was no need to get on a knee because she already said, let's get married. But not even as like a gesture? No. I don't get why you would do a gesture.
Starting point is 00:51:48 She's like, well, I know I wasn't able to do some person, but I like to get on a knee and say, I'm so happy you're my wife. Anything like that? No. Amy, your husband got on knee? Yes, he did. Eddie? I did.
Starting point is 00:51:56 You got on the knee? Yeah, I did. I'm going to get on both knees to show you guys up. Oh, good. When I finally get married? Then you love her twice as much. That's right. I'm going to get on my chest.
Starting point is 00:52:06 I'm going to lay down. Do the worm. What else, Amy? Okay, so it's official. Robert Pattinson is the new Batman. I know there was like rumors, but it's true. It's happening. He's going to be the Caped Crusader, which hits theaters on June 25th, 2021.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Yeah, so that should be pretty good. And then, you know, I always try to reach 10,000 steps per day because that's what they tell us, right? Do you all track your steps at all? No. What? Nobody besides me? My iPhone always lies and they say I don't do as much as I normally do. Well, Bobby, you're not carrying your phone with you all the time.
Starting point is 00:52:41 That's true because I go box and I work out hard. But yeah, my iPhone's like, you did 2,000 steps today. And I'm like, full crap. I get on my bike. It does account? Yeah, that's true. Let me look, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:52 Go ahead. Tell me your story that I'm going to look. Well, okay, so I have always heard the goal is 10,000. And that's what I strive for for sure. But some findings in a new study show that the health benefits. It's leveled off after 7,500 steps. So it's like, well, okay, you're kind of the same whether you do 10,000 or 7,500. I'm like, wow, because there's sometimes at the end of the day, I'm like pacing around the house, like trying to make sure I at least hit a certain amount.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Yesterday's steps? Yeah. 1,414. Oh, that's not good. But in my last contract, to be fair, I had everybody carry me around at work all day. Yeah, no, I don't have many steps. I'm just not a big step guy. The day before, 1,700.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Oh, here's a big one. Whoa, almost really went crazy on this day. 2,299. Where'd you go? Walker, China. Bobby, that's, you, surely you're stepping more than that. You just don't have your phone on you. I don't have my phone on when I'm working out.
Starting point is 00:53:48 Again, boxing and riding that bike. That bike has changed it. I'm in such good cardio shape because of riding that bike that I go to the gym and box and we go hard. I'm just like, give me more. Wow. Yeah. I'm still kind of a weenie when I punch
Starting point is 00:54:01 But I can move all day I'm not affecting you like I'm in good of cardio ship I've ever been in my whole life Because four or five days a week I get on that bike and ride Have you gotten a shout out yet? No they won't shout me out of that thing And I ask them all the time Okay
Starting point is 00:54:13 Yeah thank you All right I'm Amy, that's my pile That's Amy and that's our pile That was Amy's pile of stories Tell me something good The Historical Edition Amy This comes to us from
Starting point is 00:54:28 1977. 1997. Janet Guthrie was the first woman to drive in the Indy 500. Now, she was an aerospace engineer training to be an astronaut when she was cut from the space program because she didn't have her Ph.D. She turned to car racing instead and became the first woman to qualify for the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500. Mechanical difficulties.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Wow. First of all, wow. That's a lot. I know. Some mechanical difficulties forced her out of the 1977 Indie race. But the next year, she finished in ninth place with a broken wrist. The helmet and suit that she wore in her first indie racer on display in the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. It's crazy she could just pick up being a race car driver that quick and then do that well. Make the top 10 one of the biggest races in the world.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Well, she wanted to be an astronaut, so she has a need for speed. I can never do that. They'd never be an astronaut. People are like, you want to go to Mars? No. You want to go to the moon? Nope. You don't want to see what's out there?
Starting point is 00:55:31 Mm-mm. You want to go to Sonic and Donaldson? Nope. I like to go right by my house. Oh. That's it. I was like, is that a new planet? No, it's just like I'm good.
Starting point is 00:55:41 I'm good where I feel safe. Anyway, tell me something good. Historia! Thank you very much, Amy. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30-second skinny. Luke Combs was on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon's digital music series called Cover Room,
Starting point is 00:56:00 and he did an acoustic version of the Allman Brothers band Rambling Man. Lord, I was born a Rambling Man. And Luke Combs is so good. Luke Combs is the country at Shearant. He just writes his. Everybody loves him. He stands for everything that's right in the world, which is just being a normal dude.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Do we have this whole verse? I would play the whole version of that. Because you know who likes classic rock? Eddie. That's what we talk about all the time. And every dance party, I'm like, let's play the hit. Eddie's like, play some classic rock. That is such a good version, Luke Combs.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Lord, I was born a rambling man. Trying to make a living and doing the best I can. I purposely didn't sing on this one, so people can hear any of what's funny. I hear Amy singing over it. Hey, listen, this is what we do. I got a tweet the other day from someone going, Please stop singing over songs You know what I said?
Starting point is 00:57:01 No. I was just like I would like to, but we're not us. We shouldn't ruin things. I ruin it all the time. No, we're not us if we're not being us. Okay. We're not going to be every other radio show with good voices and corporate
Starting point is 00:57:14 and we're just going to do what we do. We're just like we would be in the car singing along. That's exactly my point here. So let's do it again. Oh, I was born around with man. Trying to make it living and doing the best I can. Damn. All right, Morgan number two. Aren't you doing something now?
Starting point is 00:57:33 Are you doing the skinny? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The CMT Music Awards are tomorrow night, and Bobby was added to the list of presenters. That's true. And then Toby Keith is going to perform his new single in Cole Swindell. He's going to join him for one of his big songs also. Are they going to do Ramblaman? Because if they are, I'm going to sing along.
Starting point is 00:57:48 Oh, I was born a Rambling Man. All right, Morgan, number two, what else? And then during our CMT remotes yesterday, Brett Eldridge talked with Amy about his first concert. Do you remember your first concert ever? Nelly. Why wouldn't you collab with Nellie? Well, somebody already did. It's called Florida Georgia Line.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Yeah, baby. Dang, you guys. It's called Florida Georgia Line. I love that, dude. All right, that is it? Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:58:18 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Now, here are you. Turn it up.
Starting point is 00:58:29 Right, I'm going over to Amy now because this is the time of the morning where we give you something you can take with you. Put in your pocket, tell a joke later. Starting point is 00:58:55 Yeah, that's a good one. Thank you very much. That was the morning corny. Starting point is 01:02:38 Well, you're listening because I haven't heard the audio yet, but every single person in the show either texting or emailed me to lunchbox made them feel awkward in an interview. So this is Morgan Wallen's song. Yeah. And it just went number one. Yeah. And this is his first song that went number one. Turn it up down. Up down. Up down. So Lunchbox yesterday was congratulating Morgan Wallen on his first ever number one.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Yeah, because I thought whiskey glasses was his first number one. Yeah. Because it just went number one and I read that as first number one. So I was pumped for the dude when he comes in. I'm going to be honest with you. Last year we sat here and I interviewed him and I was like, who's this crazy cat? And this year you walk in, I'm like, man, how's he fit in the room with the number one. Yeah, right. Man, it's a, it's a good week for sure, no doubt. Let's quit
Starting point is 01:03:28 be. It's a number one. Like, I mean, freaking number one. Like, just, it is, man. Yeah. Like, when you find out, how do you celebrate a number one? Because that's something you've dreamt about. Like, when you started this and you sign a record deal, you're like, man, I hope to have just one number one in my career, probably. And you get the number one. So what is Morgan Wall and do? They call you. Hey, you're number one. Boom. Well, this one's my second one. So, um, who yelled the good one dude from the background. That's me. Is that awkward?
Starting point is 01:04:05 It got awkward. So it was just like, oh, well, all right. That was pretty much the end of the interview. Oh, no. He's like, he dumps the table over and walks out. He was like, well. I got a pretty fun email last night. A fun one?
Starting point is 01:04:22 Yeah. From? Lowell's ex. He emailed you? He emailed you? Sort of. They were like, hey, we're coming to town. And for some reason, you guys haven't tried to put us on your show.
Starting point is 01:04:32 And I was like, oh, I didn't know what the deal. Because I'm the only person in radio that will play old-tabro. And I don't say that as a good or bad thing. It depends who you talk to. But that's the fact of it is, is I love that song. And I think why, it's the biggest song of the year. And if you have the opportunity to play it and say it's your format, why not play it? It'd be good for ratings.
Starting point is 01:04:51 And also love it. And so, yeah, I'm going to see him during CMA Fest. and he's like, come and let's get together. I don't know what that means, because I don't get together just with Rand. But Lil Nas X, I will. Wow. I want to sip some lean.
Starting point is 01:05:05 I haven't. No, I'm not going to sip any lean. Yeah, don't do that. I'm not trying to get no weight on with my bladder. I saw where Lil Nas X said that having Old Town Road banned from the country charts made him feel more accomplished. That's ever only happened to a couple of big-time country stars, but it has happened before where they're like, that's not country.
Starting point is 01:05:24 And they turned out to be humongous stars. but he said that made it feel even more of an achievement because they took them off the chart and he's still. It's a nine week number one of all format. And then you turn it on and every one of the big country artists I was talking to. It was like, oh, I play it before. Thomas Shrette. He was set it in here.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Yeah. And then a couple of them like, we played at every show before we go on because it gets our country crowd so hype. Yeah. Brett Eldridge was talking about how he was at the lake the other day and they were in a cove. And he said like literally like every five minutes a different boat was like playing Lil Nas X. You can't go anywhere without seeing it. I was shopping at a like kids boutique with my daughter over the weekend and inside the boutique. It's like Lil Nas X comes on. I mean, it's everywhere.
Starting point is 01:06:07 We were in New York. With Billy Ray Cyrus? It's people sticking their flag in the ground early and then not backing out of it just because they're embarrassed to admit, oh, this probably would be beneficial if we made it a part of our radio station or show. I can't no more. I got the horses in the bag. I want to say hello to a few listeners. Christina in Ohio.
Starting point is 01:06:33 What's happening? Hello. Good morning. Good morning. Appreciate your hopping on. What's that here on Tuesday morning? Well, I appreciate you taking my call. We are just a very appreciative couple of people.
Starting point is 01:06:43 What can I do for you? I just want to call once you know that I just, I, I recently found your show not too ago and I just love the positivity and we've, my husband and I actually listened together at night sometimes we've been doing it and we just sit and we laugh and we, it's hard for us to find things that we watch together or listen together and we'll just like sit and listen to your show and just like talk and laugh and it's just like it's the coolest thing. Well, let me tell you, I'm very happy I'm keeping a marriage together. You are helping, yeah, and I love the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:07:33 I'm a big fan of the morning corny because that's right at my alley, and I just laugh. Let me tell you about that morning corny. I fought for a long time to keep that corny on the air. That being said, I work for a company that lets me just do my show. And I think I get a lot of credit, first of all, and I'm going to deflect this, but you're going to see why. I get a lot of credit for being the guy that takes risks and does things different than everyone else. But if our boss, Rod Phillips, didn't go,
Starting point is 01:08:02 hey, you just do you. Like, he should get more credit for me being a risk taker because he doesn't bust my chops. And I do a lot of things wrong. And he just goes, you'll figure it out. You've done a lot of things wrong in your whole career and you figured it out. And that morning, corny, I was like, guys, trust me,
Starting point is 01:08:14 I know it's the most 1920s segment ever. You know, it is. But people will love it because it's such a throwback to just Laurel and Hardy you know? Yeah, yeah. And so we started doing it and it came back and they test ourselves
Starting point is 01:08:31 sometimes. We don't even know and they'll send it off and do like all these tests on it and they go, you know, the segment didn't test that well. And I'm like, trust me, everybody loves a simple, corny joke and the second one takes nine seconds. And they're so funny.
Starting point is 01:08:42 Well, no, they're like. They're all right. They're fine, but they're funny. No, they are. And I just, and our boss was like, okay, I'm not even going to bunch of chops about it. And so, but they love. us. Another thing that he has been great about, years and years ago, I started doing the
Starting point is 01:08:56 Friday morning dance party, and I said to him, said, you realize people don't care, the people in their minds don't have a format or a genre. We listen to music we like, period. We don't have a genre mind. Now, we feature country music, and I don't pick the playlist of the songs that just pop up, but if I want to put a song on, I can, but I don't program the music. Who is time for that? That being said, I said, our listeners, they want to hear, you know, Luke Bryan and Jason Al Dean and Carrie Underwood, but they also want to hear Nellie. And they also want to hear a little Nause X. And they also, so let me, and they said, I don't know, but you do you.
Starting point is 01:09:31 And it's our highest testing thing that we possibly do. That and tell me something good. And those stations you managed to get after me to, like a snapping turtle on my butt. They say, stop doing it. We'd send the data back. And so I appreciate you calling and saying you like that morning corny, because as trivial as it seems, and to be like, trust me, people like Christina in Ohio will love it. You know what I mean, Christina?
Starting point is 01:09:56 Yeah. Yep. Absolutely. Listen, I am happy that you called. Let me ask you this. As a listener, is there any segment that you wish we would do more of? Like you hear something and you're like, oh, you know what I like when they do? It's that segment right there.
Starting point is 01:10:14 Got you on the spot? Honestly, yeah, I'm not good with on the spot stuff because I just, I really, I like how clean it is. honestly, because you don't find a lot of radio stations that are really positive and funny at the same time and clean. Well, can I tell you this? We don't have the goal to not to make everybody go, oh, but we don't, our goal isn't to come in and do a clean show. We just don't work dirty in our lives. Like, I don't curse in my real life. So I don't come on the show and curse.
Starting point is 01:10:49 So, I mean, we don't set out, and I don't think we do like Mr. Rogers radio. You know? No. But I think, listen, and Amy's also the most wonderful influence on me that I could possibly have because if there's anyone clean, it's Amy. That right, Amy. No, I'm not clean, but. Well, listen, Christina, thank you for calling.
Starting point is 01:11:11 Thanks for sharing that with us. And you're welcome to call anytime with a call like that. Well, I appreciate you. Thank you for making our lives just a little bit more happy. You're welcome. And in my life, got a little happier on this call. Yeah. I get it once.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Good call. Have a good day. Christina in Ohio. I was reading this story about the lottery, and winner wins, 344 million powerball dollars, which is the same thing as American dollars. They have yet to come forward. It was sold at a North Carolina grocery store. Lunchbox, if you won this lottery at $344 million, how long until you would come forward?
Starting point is 01:11:45 One time, it draw 12 hours because it probably opens at 10 in the morning. I'd be there first thing, and I'd be having a press. conference. So you would be there as soon as the store opened. Absolutely. I guess the lottery office. Because the store can't give you the check. You've got to go to the lottery office. They confirm it. Boom. Where are the cameras? Let's talk. Get me on Good Morning America, the Today Show, whatever else they have. I don't know other morning shows, but I would be everywhere. But you would get on that anyway, but you wouldn't have all your affairs in order. You would get an attorney. I don't need it. Why am I going to waste money on
Starting point is 01:12:17 an attorney? We have plenty of it, and you want to make sure it's all buttoned up. what is he going to tell me? Oh, I'm just going to put it in the bank, right? And that what you do with it? Or, for example, if you have a certain amount of money, the FDIC part doesn't work. They don't cover it with insurance. You have to split it up into a bunch of accounts. There's a lot of things that would happen.
Starting point is 01:12:36 Oh, so I have to go to a lot of banks? Well, no, I mean, what a tough problem to have. I mean, you would go immediately? Absolutely. Next morning, you can't take a chance of losing the ticket. The sole winner of the $344 million powerball jackpot is yet to come forward. It was sold in North Carolina, and they're like, um, anytime. Because they don't think the store gets their money until the person comes forward.
Starting point is 01:12:57 Correct. And it's Hope Mills, North Carolina. What does that tell you? Small towns. What I always say, these small town gas stations. Is that what you always tell us? Yes. That's something you bring up a couple times a year.
Starting point is 01:13:08 That's where it always happens. That's why I always drive to the outskirts. Little mom and pop shops. Tomorrow on the show, Matt Stell comes in. And if you ask the question, Who is Matt Stel? Who is Matt Stel? Well, he has this song called Prayed for You.
Starting point is 01:13:25 Love this song. That's good. And I hope you guys listen tomorrow. He's going to come in. Are we allowed to mention what the world premiere is tomorrow? Or is it secret? It's secret? We can't say this song's tomorrow?
Starting point is 01:13:52 This other new song? I haven't seen it out anywhere. Well, there's a big song that we're premiering tomorrow with three major artists on it. It's written right in front of me right now, but I can't say who it is. I don't think so. All right, Ramundo. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:06 then I won't. You good with that, Amy? Yeah, I mean, if you're not supposed to, you're not supposed to. But sometimes you do anyway. I know, but that's the thing. Just let me see. It's big people. Let me say it rhymes with Harold Ho.
Starting point is 01:14:22 Oh, I got it. Hair and Horst. Smeabee smix. What? Amy said the other one. Darren Doris. We didn't say who it was. I don't even know if it's out there, but we didn't say who it was at all.
Starting point is 01:14:35 We're not going to. Yeah, we'll leave it to that. Starting point is 01:18:17 Yeah. Okay, so if you love country music but you hate death metal, I'm going to play you the death metal version of a country song. This is called Jolene, which is originally by Dolly Parton, but Leo Maricoli. He's from Norway and he does death metal. Enjoy, folks. What are you thinking about that? No, I'm stressed out.
Starting point is 01:18:46 You didn't like that? No. For metal, that's pretty good. I don't like metal. I don't like that. I prefer this. Well, yeah, of course. You see the mayor of Baltimore wants to take these, like, gang issues and problems in the city and turn them into, hey, instead of shooting at each other, why don't we just have a boxing match?
Starting point is 01:19:11 Yes. So here's that. We can find other means to settle our disputes. You know, there's mediation. If they want to really settle them, we can have them down at the Sypherson and put a boxing ring up and let them go and. and box it out, those kind of things, you know, and the dust man win, and the beach should be over. I think it's a fun idea, but what's going to happen is the losing team's going to all pull out their guns.
Starting point is 01:19:33 Oh, yeah. Right. You imagine the line to, like, fight, too, everyone? Like, just wait. It's a 10-hour line, but I'm going to fight you. Well, yeah. Listen, I love when people are thinking of different ways to actually make a difference. This is a different thing.
Starting point is 01:19:47 I agree. I was kind of like, huh, you know, what if they tried it in it actually kind of work? Taylor in Nashville, how are you? I'm good, how are you? Pretty good, what's going on? I'm a first-time caller, and I just wanted to call and say, thank you guys. I am a nurse, and I've been listening to you guys since I started nursing school, and you guys basically got me through nursing school with all the positivity
Starting point is 01:20:17 and through the show with the telling me something good, the morning corned me, just listening to you guys and everything just helps me through everything when I have a hard night at work and getting in the car the next morning I just can have a laugh and get over it and I just love you guys so much and I just wanted to call and tell you that I appreciate you.
Starting point is 01:20:44 Well, thanks a lot. I appreciate that call too. Amy, what would like to say to her? I mean, I think it's, well, first of all, thank you for being a nurse. That's what I will say. It's amazing. Nurses are awesome. And yeah, we appreciate the call. Maybe she should tell us, though. I like when people tell us what they don't like that we do. I know. It's like too. Too much positive. No, no, no. No, no. Not from us, but we got a call earlier. That was so nice. And it's like, oh, well, surely there's something we could work on.
Starting point is 01:21:11 Hold on a minute. Let me read this. We are now at, just because she called, and I was going to bring this up at some point, our patriotic Pimp and Joy line, as we sat out to build our. me specialist Scotty West a house. He lost both legs due to an IED blast. And we basically got on the air last week, a week from today on Tuesday, and said, hey, listeners, would you mind helping out? We're going to put the stuff up. And if you want to buy it, great, we don't keep the money, but we love to buy this hero a house. He was in Iraq, hit an IED, lost both legs. That's really all that we said. It was like, hey, we like to buy my house. We're going to use whatever money we raise, and we're going to set the goal at. $50,000. And that was our goal, and that was a high goal. How in the world do you make $50,000 through selling merch? That being said, as a
Starting point is 01:21:52 of last night we were at $162,000. Yeah. $162,000. Like, this show is going to build a hero of house. It's pretty crazy. And you guys know when I say this show, it doesn't mean this room. It means this show. If you're listening right now, you are part of us.
Starting point is 01:22:10 You're part of the B team. We appreciate you. $160,000 right now. So, yeah, that she reminded me what you called, that I wanted to share that. So I just appreciate you so much. Oh, anything you want to say bad about us. Amy wants you to say something bad.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Something we could work on. I really don't have anything. I really don't. I love the show so much. Like, I can't ever turn it off in the morning. So I really get sad when you all go off air. I'll tell you what. We'll extend the show an hour every day.
Starting point is 01:22:38 How do we feel about that show? Yeah. I was talking with our boss. Because we used to not play any music. I'd be fine playing no music. I'll be honest with it. Just talking the whole time. And we used to not play any music.
Starting point is 01:22:50 And I was like, hey, what's up? Like, people can get music anywhere. They can. They get music anywhere. Anybody, and I tell my friends that are in radio now, I'm like, hey, you got to stop just being the DJ that just goes from song to song because they get music anywhere. But it's like, people want like a buddy with them. And that's, I think that's what we do here on the radio.
Starting point is 01:23:08 And so I appreciate that call. But I'm like, remember the good old days when we said, I used to just have to hold my pee for like four hours. And so wouldn't that be fun if we could just talk the whole time for five hours again? Yeah. When we came to Nashville, that's what we were doing. We were a full-on national talk show. And we just play what songs I wanted. But we'd have like Dirk's in and Willie Nelson in.
Starting point is 01:23:28 And they'd be like, why do you have all these country people in? What did you tell them, Amy? Why? You had a big crush on all of them. Oh, that's why? You have a crush on Willie? Yep. You know.
Starting point is 01:23:38 Well, she was single. You know me. Yep. That's cool. You mean like way back in the day? Yeah, when you and Willie were dating? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I forgot about that.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Yeah. Yeah, yeah. You're on the year of Shelby and Mississippi. How are you? Hey, I'm good. How are you all? We're pretty good. What's going on? So I went to my first Rasing Idiot Show in Biloxy Friday night. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Eddie and I, we have a new style of show, by the way. Yes. What did you think about The Raging Idiot Show? It was hilarious. Thank you very much. I love just a new bit. I don't know if I can say it. Don't say it. We have new stuff that we do.
Starting point is 01:24:18 Amy, I told you it's part comedy show, part us playing the hits. and then part musical. Yeah. And so, Shelby, did the musical part of the show, like, you know, Broadway-ish part kind of surprise you or no? Yes, it did. And I got to meet you and Eddie at the end of the show, and I was so stoked about it because I'd never thought I would meet you guys.
Starting point is 01:24:40 Well, it was... Like, I was like Kevin off a home alone. Like, I had both my hands on my face when I met Bobby, so... Yeah, we're a real treat. What can we say? We are the most boring, normal people. We finish the show, we're just going to hang out with everybody. And then, yeah, it's nice that you care.
Starting point is 01:24:57 We appreciate when you care. We just feel like we're just normal dudes, but we appreciate that. And we're glad you had fun at the show. Thank you. And I actually made Eddie laugh, and that just made my day. Oh, there you go. Remember what she said? Tell her what she said that was so funny.
Starting point is 01:25:09 What did she say that was so funny? No, you have to remember. Oh, I don't remember. Rude. It's rude. Hey, thank you for calling, Shelby. By the way, I'll say this. A couple things.
Starting point is 01:25:19 One, the raging idiots, we ended up not being invited to play on the CMT Awards. We were pushing for it. There's no time left. Well, here's the thing. We said we'd be happy to go play. With the biggest comedy record of the year so far. And so we would be happy to go play right in your backyard.
Starting point is 01:25:34 So I'm presenting tomorrow night on the CMT Awards. I think I'm doing, if they don't mind me saying, I'm doing performance of the year. Okay. Because they do the... It's just cry. I think it's just overall performance of the year, right? I think the lunchbox is going to freak out when he sees I'm presenting.
Starting point is 01:25:50 They're not country. Oh boy. Yeah. So it's somebody, like, and so we're presenting together. I don't know if they want me to say yet on CMT Awards. But if anybody goes down, if Keith Urban gets sick, Eddie and I are ready to go. Yes. The raging idiot's ready to hop up on stage and do our little song and dance.
Starting point is 01:26:09 Is there any way you can improv in the middle of your presentation and then we can play a song? Nope, not going to happen. Okay, all right. They will blackball me from that show and a heartbeat. So we'll come up, just hand me a guitar, and we'll do our last week, number one song, I bought a Jeep. Perfect. Tell me something good. The historical edition.
Starting point is 01:26:32 The year. 1969. This guy's name is Fred Rogers. Relatively unknown at the time. Went before the Senate to plead for $20 million for public broadcasting. Because President Johnson had said, hey, we're going to cut a lot of this. And President Nixon also, because. Cutter of public broadcasting.
Starting point is 01:26:52 So this Fred Rogers goes up and gives a passionate plea. He's like, hey, let's get some money. And so instead of cutting it, they took it from $9 million to $22 million. His plea was so strong. That Fred Rogers obviously is Mr. Rogers. PBS. Wow. He never really wanted to be on TV.
Starting point is 01:27:12 And then Mr. Rogers was born. Over the years, he talked to kids about their feelings, covering topics as why they shouldn't be afraid of haircuts or the bathroom dreams. Because you won't fit. You can't go down the drain. Kids, you won't fit because kids are scared of the drain. Or even bigger issues like divorce and war. And a lot of it start on the national platform with him sticking up for public television.
Starting point is 01:27:29 We need this programming for kids to watch. And that's where Mr. Rogers and Mr. Rogers' neighborhood came from. It's really cool. You watch what's documentary? No, I have not seen that one yet. I know I have like nine things for you to watch. I have a list of maybe 15 now. You should put that on there.
Starting point is 01:27:43 It's on there. It's so good. And that is Tell Me Something Good. Historical Edition on the Bobby Bone Show. Here's lunchbox yesterday talking to Tricia Yearwood. And you guys, she was talking about saving a life, huh? Yeah, because yesterday I did the tell me something good about Garth Brooks saving a life. And then I read that she also saved a life.
Starting point is 01:28:05 So they have a household full of heroes. Here, listen to this. I was getting on a plane in Reno, Nevada, and I was really early in the morning. And I was sitting there waiting to push back from the gate. And I hear underneath my seat, I hear this pounding. I'm like, and I hear like, help me, help me. And I'm like looking around and no one's doing anything. Like, people are kind of snickering and think it's a joke like somebody's messing around.
Starting point is 01:28:28 And I'm, then I hear it again. I feel like it's right under my seat. And I just said to the flight and I was like, hey, I might be like hung over. But there's, I feel like someone is like yelling that they're underneath the plane. So do you hit the call button or do you go, excuse me, excuse me, I mean. She was basically coming by. And I said, I think there's someone like living under my seat. It was a baggage channel that they had accidentally, I guess he was in receiving the bags and he had eventually accidentally got.
Starting point is 01:28:52 shutting the doors. And then we're backing away from the gate. So I'm pretty sure he owns that airline now. But he, and I saw the door open and I saw him run out. And I got to meet him. So that's pretty cool. Yeah, it was cool. Look at that. Lifesaver, Tresher Year was. The story yesterday was Garth Brooks. He was driving by. He's a house about to catch on fire because of a grass fire and runs up and bangs on the door and saves his two kids. They don't know it's Garth Brooks. And they got out of the house. The house burnt up. She added more to that story where he saved the people. And then they were like, By the way, there's my dog's in there. Can you go back in there?
Starting point is 01:29:25 You went back and got the dog. Are you kidding me? No. And then afterwards they're like, well, okay, so they were going to take them in the truck. And the way the lady just waited by the door, like, well, you're going to open the door for me, right? And Garth was like, yes, ma'am, yes, ma'am. Wow. That's amazing.
Starting point is 01:29:40 Pretty funny, yeah. Here's The Lunchbox asking Carly Pierce if Eddie and I's comedy group, The Raging Idiot can play her wedding. Thanks for trying to book us a gig. Yeah, thanks, man. Have you thought about letting other people perform at the wedding. Like, I know a band that would like to play, the raging idiots. I've talked to some people in the band. They would play? They said they're available. I mean, we don't have a live band. So, like, is Jake going to play the whole time? No, Jake's just going to say, I don't know,
Starting point is 01:30:06 maybe he's going to drink and sing some more. I don't know, my mom's a huge fan, so if I know Jake, he's going to drink and sing some more. Jack knows every song. Jake Owen knows every song. There are only two people, and I'd be interested to see them square off against each other. Craig Campbell and Jake Owen, both can sit down and play any song you tell him to play. That'd be cool. They're both pretty amazing at that. Yeah, what else do I have here? I have Thomas Rett.
Starting point is 01:30:27 He comes in, by the way, let me say before we get started with this Thomas Rett segment, love Thomas Rett. No more than just the radio show, so I feel like I can poke at him a little bit. But he's wearing a shirt with the band on it. And he does, but he doesn't know who that is. It's a vintage T. Yeah. So, here's Tom.
Starting point is 01:30:45 Again, the band is before my day and before his day, to be fair. But I think if you wear a shirt with a band on it, you should know at least five songs. Willie Nelson, what is yours? I don't even know. Oh. It just says the band. Is that a band called the band? I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:30:58 Oh, okay. Just the first thing I kind of saw. Yeah. Who are they? Oh, they go. Oh, these guys, these guys? Oh, they're called the band? I didn't even know that.
Starting point is 01:31:08 What? Bob Dylan. I am so thankful that Thomas Rett is wearing a shirt that he doesn't really know much about because these guys, they give me the hardest time. If I walk in in a really super cute vintage, like, Led Zeppelin shirt, than like sing one. Like name a song. Name a song.
Starting point is 01:31:23 And I'm like, I don't know. Don't care. So, you guys Thomas Red. This is the band. Take a low for me. Oh, that's the shirt. He was great. Take a load off, baby.
Starting point is 01:31:36 You know that song, right? Yes, I do. That's funny. We expect it from Amy, for sure. Yeah. I know, but hey, stars are just like us. Oh, yeah, yeah. Or.
Starting point is 01:31:52 Up on Crip or Cree. Come on. This is the band. You know the song? No. GEMT I don't have to speak She'd be
Starting point is 01:32:02 A drunker's dream If I ever did CWOW Anyway, all these artists We take a part In the CMT Awards Tomorrow night On CMT Just announced, by the way
Starting point is 01:32:16 I will be hosting the CMA Fest on ABC with Thomas Shret and Kelsey Ballerini Couldn't say anything about it Until just now They just announced it On Good Morning America I'm pretty pumped about that
Starting point is 01:32:26 and so those two definitely don't need my help but they were like hey you want to go host with them and I was like I let me check my schedule here yep nothing on it so I'm gonna go and host it'll be it all four nights I'll be out there
Starting point is 01:32:41 but it's all shot together for one special on ABC so yeah I'll be hosting CMA Fest with two people you may have heard of Thomas Wrette and Kelsey Ballerini speaking to Thomas Redd There's a movie on Netflix called the perfection and it's making viewers vomit.
Starting point is 01:33:02 What? Yeah, so if you're going to watch the perfection, heads up, and they say it's making them sick. Viewers are reporting headaches, nausea, even vomiting after watching this horror flick's gory scenes. The film, which was released last week by Netflix, sees a cellist named Charlotte who travels to Shanghai for a competition where she meets another musician, they get on the road together, and then they have all of these horror things that happen to them, but
Starting point is 01:33:26 people are so nauseous, they're projectile vomiting. Oh my. What? It's one of the, I don't know if I talk about it a lot because it's the morning, but people are sick from watching. They're like, hey, if you get kind of queasy at all,
Starting point is 01:33:39 don't watch this movie. But what great promo for that movie? Yeah. Now I want to try it. Nah, I'm good. I watched that John Wick three. Now it's tough, and I love John Wicks, but there's so much.
Starting point is 01:33:50 It's just not that movie. It's all the movies where they're like punching and stabbing. Or a violent? No, not violence. Just when they show, even like needles. Oh, graphics. A lot of TV shows will show needles, like, going into the skin, too. And I'm good.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Let's just, like, insinuate it's happening. And you don't have to actually show it. Because there was, like, some stabbing. They'd be like, stab, tap, da, da. Just verbally, be like, I'm about to stick a needle in this arm. And then you go, and now the needle is in the arm. And you keep it above the head. They had this whole thing on Reddit last night about Keanu Reeves,
Starting point is 01:34:21 America's Most Beloved actor. Yes. And it had listed, A, L. list movie stars who have worked with female directors and it was like Tom Cruise, zero, Matt Damon, zero. All of these big stars
Starting point is 01:34:35 are five or six of them at zero, zero, zero, one, zero one, zero, zero, zero, one, zero. Keanu Reeves, 13. Wow, look at that guy. That's the greatest guy. Nice. I wish I was Keanu's friend. He's in that new thing on Netflix too.
Starting point is 01:34:47 Always call me, always maybe. Was it a movie called Morgan number two? Is it always call me maybe? Always. Forever maybe? Something like that. What is it? You mean, it's a show or movie?
Starting point is 01:34:57 It's a new movie they just put out. Always be my maybe. Yeah. Oh. It's about like two best friends, right? Who maybe start to date? Is it what it is? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:06 Looks pretty funny. Have you DMed him yet? Who Kiana? Yeah. Is he on Instagram? He's got to be. He's not. No.
Starting point is 01:35:11 Nope. Nope. I was trying to tag him the other day when I was watching Point Break. And I was like, I just had to hashtag Keanu Reeves because like, no Insta. So then she just tagged me in every one of them. And I look at my phone and I've got 72 new messages. And I'm like, who's sending me? 72 red dots on my phone.
Starting point is 01:35:27 Because I feel like I watched it partly in honor of you. Thank you. You're welcome. The Jeopardy guy lost. Oh. Oh. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:37 And what got him? Just another player. James Holzer. How do you say his name, lunchbox? James Holzerzer. I don't know how you say it right, but. He finally came to an end. He won 32 straight times and more than $2.4 million.
Starting point is 01:35:52 He lost to a Chicago librarian named Emma Bocher. Here you go. Emma, it's up to you. If you came up with a correct response, you're going to be the new Jeopardy champion. Did you? You did. What did you wager?
Starting point is 01:36:05 Oh, gosh, $20,000. What a payday. $46,801. What a game. Oh, my gosh. What a way to start the week. Congratulations. We're going to say goodbye to James, too.
Starting point is 01:36:21 We'll be seeing him again. So it was, he was like $50,000. from being the all-time money winner. Wow. But I like how he gave her the credit for winning, and it wasn't all about James. Like, oh, James, you're out, and Emma's like in the shadow.
Starting point is 01:36:35 So it was cool. No, she crushed it. I mean, they both had like 20. They both got the final question right. He could have won had he bet more money, but he didn't. He bet so he'd only win by like $1 if they both missed it. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:36:45 He didn't expect her to get the question right. Because I watched the final end of the scene. Am I right on that? How that shook out? Because they both got it right. He was worried because third place was still eligible to win also, so he had to bet conservatively on his final answer because if he bet aggressive and missed it, third place would jump into first place. So he bet enough to win if
Starting point is 01:37:06 she missed it. But she got it right, so it didn't matter either way. That's crazy. That's a smart dude. People are like, you should play him and win Bobby's money. I don't lose. No, no, no, no, no, do not play him. Have faith in yourself. No, no, no. He just won Jeopardy 32 times in a row. I know. Sorry, I haven't seen any, I haven't seen him play. If he came on, I would play him, but I'm not going to chase it. I'm okay. I'll tweet him. I'm okay to lose, is my point.
Starting point is 01:37:31 And then don't carry a lot of cash in your wallet. Oh, that'd be bad. It's still one day. Maybe you should be like win his money. No, pay for the cash in his wife. A man with poor credit discovers his father had stolen his identity. And the guy's like... Oh, this is so sad.
Starting point is 01:37:45 The guy's like, why is my credit so bad? I haven't done anything. Yeah. He's 22 years old. He has terrible credit. And his dad, now 49 is charged with 18 counts of identity theft because he stole his son's identity. His dad?
Starting point is 01:37:58 His dad. He's been like stealing his identity since his kid was 14. Oh. His son alerted authorities after noticing his credit had been destroyed with somebody to somebody who had a social security details. Who has the details for sure? He has all the info. That's there. They have it on.
Starting point is 01:38:14 So he stole, his dad stole it and completely ripped him off. Now he's $120,000 in debt because his dad stole his identity. and his dad's probably going to go to jail. Do you press charges if it's your dad lunchbox? Oh, yes. Yes. I mean, he ruined you for the rest of your life. And so you got to press charges or else,
Starting point is 01:38:37 because the son is going to be responsible for all that debt. Yeah. Oh, yeah, you've got to put him away and probably never talked to him again. Oh, no. See, I was going to say, yeah, put him away, but still go visit him. I would say he should. He should be punished for sure, but he should also be able to work that off. Yeah. He's got to, he stays out of jail as long as he starts to work that off and pay that off and fix it.
Starting point is 01:39:01 And he's also doing community service of some kind. And if it's credit fraud, why is the son having to pay all that stuff? It's in his name. Is that not protected? It's not a credit card. It's identity theft. He didn't have life lock. Well, he was 14. It's been going on since he was a kid. It's been going on since he was 14. He's 22 now.
Starting point is 01:39:19 Oh, this is just. Oh, it's so. Sad. Speaking of bad credit, Ramundo our audio producers in here, you had terrible credit. Yeah, it was. I bailed on a lease in college. And it hung with you for how long? Yeah, almost two collectors were coming after me, and I was in the 500, low 500s. I finally built it
Starting point is 01:39:34 back up to 597. Oh, and your score. Look up, what that means. Raymood was clapping for himself right now. I don't know what that means. I feel like that's pretty low. Look up credit rating might. You show me the scale. My husband and I love when we get our new credit rating. Because it fluctuates sometimes by a few points and sometimes
Starting point is 01:39:50 I'm ahead or sometimes he's ahead. And I'm like, I'm currently ahead. How are you? Yeah, and I have no idea what changes it because we live together, all of our bills get paid on time. I'm like, what changes it? Bad credit is 300 to 629. Redmondo. You're still in bad credit.
Starting point is 01:40:06 I think he's excited that he's on the higher end of bad. I mean, if he was at 300, that would be really good. Yeah, I mean, I'm not like an investor or a businessman. I'm not going to have a thousand credit score. There's a such thing in a thousand? It's like 800, I think. 850s to tat. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:40:20 I'm climbing, though. It's taking me a while, man, but we're doing it. So you jumped out of a lease? Yeah, well, me and this, I wasn't even dating the chick. She breaks up with my friend, and then me and her just both leave the apartment. Apparently, she put me on the lease. I didn't even know I was on it. And then I had collectors after I'm in the business world called me.
Starting point is 01:40:35 Did you explain to them what happened? I told them. I said I wasn't even dating the chick. Why would I have been on the lease with her? Can you imagine a collector get in that story? Ray's like, yo, dude, I don't know. I wasn't dating her. Here, let me explain to you what happened.
Starting point is 01:40:47 She was dating my friend. She was my friend. I didn't know I was on the lease, man. Jerry Springer. Did she floored your signature? Maybe, but then I hit her up and she blocked me on everything. I couldn't find her. She lives in Houston.
Starting point is 01:40:57 Now I still haven't talked to her. Well, say her name now. No, don't say her name. She got married. It's a different name. So, but your credit's starting to... That falls after seven years. Right.
Starting point is 01:41:06 It's falling off. Yep, absolutely. And your credit is now raised to $5.97. Okay. You need to get to $6.30 to be fair. Absolutely. So if you need a loan for a car, you have a better shot to do that. Sounds like you take your credit card out and you get it paid off and then, boom,
Starting point is 01:41:19 you start jumping again. You start jumping again. Do start jumping when you start paying things off. Let's do a credit card then. No, why are you asking us? I'm not co-siding anything with you. Yeah, so, and then fair credit, $6.30 to $6.89. Good credit, $690 to $719.
Starting point is 01:41:34 And then excellent credit, $7.20 to $8.50. That's excellent. Yeah. I'm an excellent. You're excellent? Yeah, and I never, like, made straight days in school, so I'm proud of that. Like, that's my report card right now. That's what you look forward to as an adult.
Starting point is 01:41:48 Except for my house, I don't, I'm too scared to take out loans on anything. You grow up poor, you don't take, you don't get loans. It's not a mindset of yours where it's like, I'll take out a big loan. And so my credit's always been really good because I just pay everything off immediately. Do you still overpay, like, on your house bills? Like your, because I mean. I try not to. I most of the time, no.
Starting point is 01:42:08 Until about three years ago, I overpaid on my utilities, like $10 a month because I thought when I lose my job, I'd be broke for a while and I needed. You should keep the lights on. But, yeah, but they started mailing my church. checks back. And I'd be like, wait, why you should have made me my surplus? You should keep that. On your own records. So then I stopped, because I didn't get the checks back, and it'd be for
Starting point is 01:42:26 like $22, and I wouldn't cash it for a while. And then 90 days would go by, and I cash it and they'd be like, it's over. Oh, yeah, it's done. And then that money's just gone. So it was too much of a problem. So, Baramo, no, congratulations. Thank you. I'm real proud of you. You're becoming an adult. Slowly but surely. There he is. Lobby bones.
Starting point is 01:42:44 Sitting across from Amy and you look like you can't move. I'm not sure that I can, really. Your neck was hurting yesterday morning, but it wasn't as bad as it is today. And now you're just up like a board. And I even went to the chiropractor yesterday. So I'm not quite sure why I'm not better, but maybe it has to get worse before it gets better. I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:43:04 Interesting. That's theory. I'm thinking maybe it's healing. It's like I got adjusted and it's like trying to find its place. I have no idea. I feel so awkward, though. That's an odd hypothesis. Yeah, you can't move it.
Starting point is 01:43:19 It's funny. Amy, a minute ago, she started to yell, straw! No, I didn't. And I was like, Nate. She was like, I just can't move. I didn't want to get me a straw in my water. Well, I'm thirsty, but to like tilt my head back to drink, I was like, oh, I think I might need a straw.
Starting point is 01:43:30 I wonder if there's any straws anywhere. It's funny that you heard me go, straw, because that's, I said, does anybody know if there's a straw in the building? Yeah, we heard, straw now. No, that's not what I said. But you are, you're sitting. Don't make me laugh. You're sitting that, it looks like it hurts that much.
Starting point is 01:43:46 Yeah, there was a time a minute ago. I don't know if you noticed. but I did something to do it, and I literally were on air, and I was about to just start crying. Oh, don't do that. I know. Can I say what you told me this morning when we got to work? What did I say? She was like, about driving.
Starting point is 01:43:59 Oh, yeah, yeah. She was like, she can't move her head to the side. I don't advise this. She was like, you know, don't think I should drove this morning because it couldn't look either way when I was driving. I just kind of hoped everything was clear. There was a lot of time. Yeah, hoping.
Starting point is 01:44:12 Well, there's not a lot of people on the road when we're driving to work, so I felt like, oh, the odds were in my favor. But I was literally like, okay, hope nobody's coming up on the left because I'm just going to go for it. So I would say pull out like your compact, like your mirror and use it as another side mirror. An extra mirror. Like in jail. Sure. Yes.
Starting point is 01:44:33 Yeah. Stop. Stop making me laugh. Okay. Yeah, I need like a brace. Maybe that would help. I'm not quite sure. So tonight you're just chilling.
Starting point is 01:44:43 Yeah. But I just chilled last night too. I was like, kids, take care of yourselves. I love you. Take care of yourselves. Oh, no, listen to this. Oh, yeah. Well, okay, I went to bed super early because I was in so much pain and I thought, okay, maybe
Starting point is 01:44:57 if I take a Xanax, relax me and I'll chill out. But my husband was working. And so I was like, okay, I'm taking a Xanax. I didn't want my kids to be punished by going to bed super early like me. So I got out my daughter's watch and I said, set a timer. So we set it for one hour. I said, y'all can watch TV for one hour. And when the timer goes off, please go put yourselves to bed.
Starting point is 01:45:17 Amy, come on. I disappeared. They're awesome. Me, my daughter, she's 12. No way they follow those instructions. No, she did because I actually heard her, I was laying down. I mean, I was already in my room asleep with the door shut, but I heard her watch go off. And then I heard feet walking up the stairs.
Starting point is 01:45:33 And I was like, I have amazing children. Wow. I know. I couldn't believe it. I fully expected them to, like, not obey. But they did. And I was super proud of them because I did not want to get up and have to, like, deal with that situation.
Starting point is 01:45:46 Did you sleep? No, not really. I feel like I was pretty chill about everything. But I wasn't, like, anytime, I know that I slept for certain amounts of times, but there was times where my neck would get uncomfortable, and I would have to move. So I know I woke up, like, probably every hour to try to adjust. And it was kind of like, I'm going to go to the right, left, I don't know what's going on. I don't know what I did.
Starting point is 01:46:08 And you never felt anything go, no. I woke up this way yesterday. And then it started thinking, you know, my. brain started going crazy places. You know how sometimes people wake up and there's something wrong? And then I should probably go to a real doctor and see. Not that I just popped in a chiropractor clinic. But I mean by real doctors, like, have maybe x-rays.
Starting point is 01:46:26 What if there's like a parasite? You probably do have a tapeworm on your neck. Oh, yeah. I was thinking about that. Probably just growing in there. Something. Well, I hope you get better. Yeah, same.
Starting point is 01:46:35 It's going to be a slow process. I hope it's fast. Speaking of medical stuff, and I posted it on my answer story last night. Did you watch that, Eddie? I did. Congrats. Thank you very much. I know.
Starting point is 01:46:47 We're so proud of you. Thank you very much. Yeah, dude. Good job. See, what I do is I just put my medical results online. I just wanted everybody to know. And so I got all my labs back because I had to go do a physical, like a crazy physical. And they were like, they started coming in STD results first.
Starting point is 01:47:03 Yeah. And I was like, well, let's just see. And I put the phone up and was like, we're all going to find out together. It's going to be good or bad. But either way. I know it wasn't bad. But it's like gonorrhea, no gonorrhea. Yeah, good for you.
Starting point is 01:47:16 No chlamydia. It's great. No HIV. Yes. No any of them. So, and then I think I ended it with something like, somebody come touch me or something. Yeah. There's something like that.
Starting point is 01:47:29 If you want. But you can see, I put my medical report on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram. And just click in there. I live my life out there for the people to see. That'll be good when you run for office, too. Yeah. No, I'm just saying you're very transparent. Can you not run for office?
Starting point is 01:47:44 No, you can. No, if you have chlamydia, you have to acknowledge. No, you totally can. You have to start every debate. Hi. I'm so-and-so. I'm Bobby Bones. I'm under for Governor of Arkansas.
Starting point is 01:47:53 I have chlamydia and here's why I feel about the... No, I just meant your transparency. This is an example of it. I do have that fallacyllitis on my back. What is that? Did that come in your physical? Well, the doctor told me I had that. Really?
Starting point is 01:48:08 Oh, yeah, yeah. What's causing the breakouts? My back is kind of gross. I'm embarrassed of it because I had mold had to get cut off. and then apparently like the little hairs that I have like the old it's just basically ingrown hair yeah but I get like two or three a minute of time it looks like pimples I'm so disgusting but it's okay because we're all disgusting in certain places sure I just get embarrassed I'm so self-conscious of it and it's on your back so you don't have to see it so other people do though oh it's like I take my shirt off
Starting point is 01:48:31 and I just keep my nipples to everybody and I'm always like excuse me huh where are you going with your shirt off uh at the pool party yeah that's true so you just kept your back I did take my shirt off at yoga on Sunday. And I never do that. But I did. I was sweating so much. Like it was, I had been on my bike. I did a whole bike ride.
Starting point is 01:48:53 And I was like, you know, I'm going to go to yoga too. And so then I went to yoga. And I was sweating. Do people take their shirts off of yoga? Yeah. Most dudes do. My husband does. And I don't.
Starting point is 01:49:03 And I'm always like the guy. And I've got like four shirts and a turtleneck on. And I'm like, I don't want anybody to see what I'm rocking. But I was sweating so much. I took it off. And I tossed the shirt on the ground. It sounded like. this squish.
Starting point is 01:49:14 That's how I am not, I get it. I get why sometimes I'm like, how come I don't have a girlfriend? And then I get follicolitis and then I throw my squishy shirt down and I'm like, yeah, I get it. Yeah. I wouldn't be into me either. So, um. Do you need any of follicolitis popped? They don't pop.
Starting point is 01:49:30 We have to pull, find the hairs and pull them out. Ooh, that's got to be fun. I know. And then I have a hemorrhoid too, which is, I'm like, I'm telling you, I'm just not, it's not pleasant. Dang, dude. You haven't a bad year. No, no. No, the hemorrhoids for a while.
Starting point is 01:49:40 It's a bad life. Yeah, it's his little hemmy. That doesn't go away? I don't think so. Not unless you have it removed. And it's like a cousin that lives in another state. It just shows up randomly after a few years. It's called a flare-up.
Starting point is 01:49:52 It just like, hey, we're related. Don't forget about me. There's nothing you can do because I'm here. I'll be here the rest of your life. And I didn't know you could get them as a... I'm not pregnant and I'm not old, but training, it's as a blood vessel that pops. And I was doing triathlons. And I was like, what has happened?
Starting point is 01:50:11 Anyway, I'm just not, it's just not, I'm not pleasant. It's not good. I wish I was like, I wish I was pretty. You have good qualities, so focus on those. Yeah, I get some good teeth, but they're fake. No one needs to know that. Anyway, Amy, I'm sorry about your neck. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:50:28 It's fine. I'll be fine. People have like way worse things happening. It's just weird how it just, you wake up and one day you can't move your neck. You wake up in the morning, and the alarm starts. buzzing. Sort of. And you don't think you'll ever make it on time. Oh, yeah. When I wake up in the morning and the long... Oh, you know what I used to think the lyrics were?
Starting point is 01:50:48 And the lawn gets out of mowing. That'd work. It's like people that think that Old Town Road is somebody hooking up with their horse. A lot of people think, I'm going to take my horse to the hotel room. I'm going to ride till I can no more. Yeah, that's not good. That's not good. By the way, we announced our IHart Festival lineup. It's going to be humongous. Do we split the night's up or do we just read them all? Okay. For example, Tim McGraw, Zach Brown Band, Mumford and Sons, deaf leopard.
Starting point is 01:51:16 There's your classic rock. Chance the rapper, Alicia Keys, Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Her, Camilla Cabello, Cage the Elephant, so many acts. It's really going to be a fantastic show. Did that announcement, and we announced I will be hosting the CMA Fest with Kelsey Ballerania, Thomas Red on ABC coming up in August, which it does. We shoot it all this week. Actually, tonight we start shooting some of it.
Starting point is 01:51:40 Yeah, so, yeah, big day, big day. Shit. Bobby Bunch, hell. I saw it with the top gamers make $15,000 an hour. What? Mm-hmm. Some people watch them play. That's a lot.
Starting point is 01:51:53 This guy named Benjamin Lupo, which is just a hobby with most kids, and now he makes $15,000 an hour broadcasting his game because 3 million people watch them and follow on Twitch. That's insane. And Twitch is massive. Twitch is, you know, the sports team that I have that I own? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:08 Where it's going to be real people playing, like you're playing a video game, but real people run the plays. It'll be on Twitch, this massive platform where you just watch. They make $15,000 an hour. Isn't that nutty? I read where some people say they lose money when they go to sleep, these guys that really are playing because they're not able to play. It's crazy.
Starting point is 01:52:25 So they have to decide how many hours they're going to sleep because they're losing money. Wow. So, I mean, but kids see this and go, I'm going to be a gamer then. Right. And it's tough, but to be fair, for kids to go and be a professional athlete, it's just as nutty. Right. Like, what do you want to be when you grow up? We never hated on kids for going, I want to be a professional football player.
Starting point is 01:52:45 And that's true. Because the odds are you're not going to be. The odds aren't you're not going to be a gamer. But anyway, I saw that. That's pretty nice. They have their own. I bet they have a refrigerator in every room. They're playing games.
Starting point is 01:52:59 And I guess as a parent, do you have to be like, well, I guess you are raking it in. What's going on today, Amy, around the room? Oh, some more. radio remotes with country artists. So I'm going to go do that. And then, I don't know, just rest my neck and try to figure out I had stuff to do today, but I don't think I'm going to be doing any of it. So what about you?
Starting point is 01:53:21 Your health says no. My health says no. I go to the stadium tonight. It was announced earlier this morning that I am hosting CMA Fest on ABC with Kelsey and Thomas Rett. And so we start shooting tonight at the stadium. So a lot. We shoot until like midnight or 1 a.m. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:53:37 I do that tonight. and then tomorrow night's CMT Awards and I do it Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, shoot until 1 a.m. every morning. So let me tell you, I'm being a real bundle of joy when I come in here in the morning, guys. Can't wait. I know. Prepare yourself.
Starting point is 01:53:50 Lunchbox is up, bud. I got more radio interviews, so hopefully I don't screw up again today. And then I got to take a nap. I didn't get a nap yesterday. So, boy, two days in a row without a nap would be bad news. I think I'm grumpy.
Starting point is 01:54:03 Well, what? Nobody's grumpy. You're going to be like he's always grumpy. Yeah. Lunchbox. Yeah. All right. Well, listen, we're going to go.
