Starting point is 00:02:18 You're listening to a podcast. So maybe you're doing something else too, like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin, saving places you like without thinking you'll even get them. Because that's what has. house hunting has become. But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing. It's built to help you find and own a home. Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you've got a real shot at getting it. Redfin helps turn save listings into real
Starting point is 00:02:46 addresses. Get started at Redfin.com. Own the dream. All right. The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. Lunchbox watches that show, the proposal? Is that call? Oh yeah. Is that people from The Bachelor or no? No, the creators of The Bachelor came up with the proposal. So I've seen the commercials. I just don't know what it is. Ah, so you have one person in a booth and they can
Starting point is 00:03:09 see who, like if it's a girl, they bring 10 guys out and based on their first look, she picks six of them to move on. And then she gets to ask them, they get to, like, oh, you know, I'm this kind of person. I'd like long walks on the beach. Tell a little bit about themselves. She cuts two more. And then
Starting point is 00:03:25 they go to the swimsuit competition. or they come out in swimsuits. The dudes do? Yeah. Or if it's a dude back there, the girls come out. Yeah. And at the end, there's two guys left, and they propose. Oh, at the end, both of the people propose to the girl?
Starting point is 00:03:38 Yes. And so does she have to say yes? Is that part of the rules? She has to say yes to one of them. She has to pick one. Like one guy, the other night, he said that I don't want to propose, but I propose we go on a honeymoon. And if it goes well, then I'll propose.
Starting point is 00:03:52 And she picked him, they went to feed you. The other guy got down on one knee with a ring and said, I want you to be my forever and I want you to meet my family and I want to grow old with you. How much that's TV and how much that's crazy though? Because some of that is you're just doing a good TV show. Like you just want to be on TV and how to be on TV is to do good TV. Like that's the thing about The Bachelor and Bachelorette too. If you're good at being on TV, you're going to go far on that show.
Starting point is 00:04:15 But then there's also a level of TV to crazy. Like I could go and win that show. If someone thought I was attractive enough, I could win that show because I know how to do good TV. Yeah. Yeah. But there's the crazy to TV ratio. I think it's a lot crazy because you're only on the show for an hour. So it's not like you're getting super famous from this.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Like The Bachelor or Bachelor, you have a whole season. But you're still not super famous from that show. But you are on the cover of Us Weekly. Yeah, but these people are just... They're here. He's got a point. And they're gone. Like week one, it was a cop and he got the girl.
Starting point is 00:04:54 They're still together. Like I read on People magazine. They're still together, but... Not on us weekly? No. Well, I mean, it was just a little article on the internet. It wasn't like they're on the magazine where you see them for months and months on TV commercials. And I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:07 It's pretty cool, though. It's a train wreck. Because the guys are so awkward because they have like a 30-second timer and they'll be in the middle of a sentence and they'll be like, time's up. Love it. And they get nervous and they fumble over their words and... They still don't know. They still do that.
Starting point is 00:05:23 You like those still? Oh, still so good. Yeah. I don't really live tweet them as much anymore because they come on at 8 o'clock, and so I have to watch them on DVR. Are they new kids, or are they the old? They're like 41 now. No, you have the new, the old kids, they're like 24, 25 now, and they have other kids.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Their kids are having kids. They have a new one called Young and Pregnant. Okay, and that's the new generation. So that's not like 16 and pregnant? They just call it Young and Pregnant? Yeah, because they're not exactly 16. Oh, my goodness. Are they older, younger?
Starting point is 00:05:56 Older. Oh. Yeah. And you like those shows. They're great. Shows you how great your life is compared to their. I mean, they struggle. That's one way to look at it.
Starting point is 00:06:07 That's drama. It's an interesting perspective. MTV does a great job with our TV shows. By the way, we just finished today's show. It's Tuesday. Mike D's in the studio. Hey, Mike D. So yesterday was Mike D's birthday, and he turned 27 years old.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Yep. And, you know, this is the year at 27 that the 3 years. that a lot of the greats die. Yes. Not to get morbid here, but 27 is Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison, Jimmy Hendricks. So you're saying Mike D is one of the great?
Starting point is 00:06:34 Janice Joplin. They all left this world at 27, Mike D. I'm aware of that. Well, we all turned 27 at one point. I know, we made it to do it. We're not that great. Thank goodness. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:45 You know, do you think about stuff like that? I do. See? I've looked that up before, yeah. Yeah. What do you think? It's weird. You guys realize, stop.
Starting point is 00:06:56 Stop. You guys are comparing this guy to the great. To who? You said Janice Jobb and I don't know much about her, but who else is there? Oh, Amy Winehouse. Stop. Jimmy Hendricks. What?
Starting point is 00:07:09 I'm done. I don't think Bobby's saying. There's a lot of people that make it past, those are just a few famous people. They call that the 27 Club. They do. There's like six of them. Out of all the famous people in the world. Why are you yelling?
Starting point is 00:07:23 I mean, you guys are acting like 27. There are six famous people that died at 27, and we act like, oh, that's a bad thing. Because it's 27 is a key. Had they all died at 25, then it would be the 25 club. Good call, Amy. Yeah, it's just. There she is. I was telling her you watch this documentary, the Janice Shoplin.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Amy, I talked about it on the air. I didn't know she was dead when the song came out. Man, this is sad story. Yeah. Such a sad story. So this is Janice Shoplin, and she has a documentary called Janice Shoplin. Little Girl in Blue, I think it's what it is, and like that.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And I text to Eddie, I said, hey, you should watch this, because Eddie and are music nerds. I was like, I don't think it's the most fascinating. Like, wow, it's so sensational. But you feel like, she's really good, but she was picked on a lot, like a lot. She was. I think they even, if I remember correctly, they gave her prom queen or something as a joke. They gave her worst-looking dude. Oh, that's it.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Worst-looking dude award at school. Okay, also, how did she do that? Yeah, alcohol overdose. Yeah, alcohol. I mean, depending. They found it in her hotel room. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:29 Yeah, because some of those cases, I don't know. Was it accidental or was it on purpose? I think hers was accidental, probably. She also was, listen, I'm just watching documentary. But, you know, she got clean for a while, and then she didn't, and there was a constant battle there.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Well, part of the 27 Club and another documentary that's amazing is the Amy Winehouse one. Yes. But this is her most famous song, and it came out after she died. Chris Christopherson wrote it. He'd never heard it until he knew she had been cutting it,
Starting point is 00:09:00 but he hadn't heard it until it came out. He heard on the radio. Anyway, happy birthday, Mike, 27. Yeah. I got a question. How can we don't make a big deal about the 48 club? Al Capone, Scott Wheeler, Nat King Cole, Harvey Milk, Whitney Houston.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Nat King Cole is born in like 19, 18. They died at 48. Yeah, they all died at 40. That was the average age back in 1861. Just saying. Hey, so did you talk to your girlfriend last night? I did. You had you guys have like a birthday FaceTime?
Starting point is 00:09:31 Yeah, last night. How'd that go? Good. What'd you guys do? Just talked. Did she bake you a birthday cake? He wants to know if you got naked on Facebook. What?
Starting point is 00:09:39 That's what you is none of our business. Well, hold on. I just said, what did they do? What did you guys do? When he really gets into something, it's always about money or doing it. That's it. That's a really good point
Starting point is 00:09:54 That's what it comes down to Like you all sit over there and not give a crap about anything Unless it's about money or doing it It's never been interested in my life before Ever and it's like Tell me what you did exactly What you talk about on Facebook How did it start? What were she wearing?
Starting point is 00:10:08 So really what was she wearing? You guys talked Yeah Yeah and so But Mike worked last night yesterday We did the Brett Eldridge Bobby Cass I got Mike Luggage for his birthday
Starting point is 00:10:19 Oh that's awesome He needs that I do need it And it was like a three-pieceer. It's a big one, the middle one, and a small one. And listen, I got luggage given to me once, nice luggage a few years ago. And I was like, luggage, interesting. But then, a month later, I was like, God, what a great gift this was. Because I would never buy it for myself.
Starting point is 00:10:36 And it was good luggage. Or if you have to buy it for yourself, it's not fun. No, you're like. It's like a refrigerator. Or it's like, yeah, or car tires. Yeah. You're like, this is horrible. Like I hate that I have to do this.
Starting point is 00:10:48 So that's what I got Mike for his birthday. and we worked and yeah. What about... Did you have any... Well, Mike has such a clean diet. I wonder if on days like your birthday, did you have any cake? No.
Starting point is 00:11:03 Oh, man. Would anyone get him a cake or anything? No. We didn't eat cake, so I don't know what to get him. Did you guys get him anything? I should find him a vegan cake. No, I don't get him a president. I'm going to get you the best vegan cake or anything?
Starting point is 00:11:14 No, I didn't get him a card. I didn't even comment on his Facebook page. No, I sent him a tweet. I posted something. Only after I brought him. up on the air. I sincerely did not know it was his birthday. If you hadn't said something, I'm so glad you did, I did not know.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Unless I'm on Facebook, I did not have that in my calendar, but I mean, happy birthday, Mike. Yeah, happy birthday, Mike. I'm so glad Bobby brought it up. Yeah, me too. And then now I know, if I find you a healthy vegan cake or something, will you eat it? I'll eat it. Yes. So what did your girlfriend get you for your birthday? She's going to give it to me in
Starting point is 00:11:48 a few days. I bet she did it. All right. Have you reversed your decision? Are you going to stay at her crib? I have not reversed my decision, though. We did talk about that. You did talk about that. Oh, okay, so what did she say? What happened?
Starting point is 00:11:59 What happened there? Well, we just, because when we initially established it, she was going to stay in a hotel here, and then when I told her I was coming there, we just never mentioned, you know, staying with each other. So we're like, no, we'll just leave it how it is. So when you go there, you're not staying with her. You're staying with your brother.
Starting point is 00:12:15 When she comes here, she's staying in a hotel. Yeah. But your boyfriend, girlfriend. Yeah. If you were just dating, I would go totally, makes sense. But if you're kind of claiming that we're together, I feel like you should stay in the same place. And you're adults,
Starting point is 00:12:27 right? Yo, there's no pressure for Mike to do things his way versus your way. There's no pressure. I'm just talking about how I would feel. I'm not saying he's right or wrong. I would say that that's the dating part of it. And I have a question, and I don't want to be too personal and you don't have to answer Mike if it is. But Eddie? But when you, how do you make that official? How do you say like, all right,
Starting point is 00:12:47 we're boyfriend and girlfriend. Do you actually have to ask and then you guys agree on that? Well, we got to a point where it's like, we're not talking to anybody else. And then we just had that conversation of like, well, when I come to see you next, do I tell people I'm going to come see my girlfriend or do I just say, you know, and dating? So that's how that happened. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:04 That's a good way to do it. It's perfect. Okay. And then the ceremony, I ran it. Oh, yeah. I had her on the iPhone and had him standing next to me. Do you? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:14 But it happened over FaceTime. Okay. When you talk to her. That's okay, though. Listen, I'm not judging either way. it just seems like you're dating more than your boyfriend girlfriend. Oh. But there aren't rules.
Starting point is 00:13:25 When she comes here and stays at the hotel, are you going to stay at the hotel with her? Probably not. No? Unless you go to Austin, you guys hit it off really well. That could change. Like, it can 90 degree. Go, okay, we're doing this. But then if you go up there and you stay in the room, you're saying your brothers and you get along great, you may go, you know what?
Starting point is 00:13:43 Just stay at the house and we'll save some money. Unless you still don't have hot water. That's true. Oh, you don't want to take her to the house without hot water. Yeah, do you have furniture yet? I think I'm going to get some from you this weekend. Yeah, that's true. That's how you find out, Mons.
Starting point is 00:13:57 That's true, he's coming to get furniture. I'm just getting some furniture. All right, well, there's that. You're her first boyfriend ever too, huh? Yeah, she's never had a boyfriend either. Oh, wow. That's cool. That's okay. That's a thing, too.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Like, they're just kind of figuring out. Yeah, everything's new. So they're really like 16-year-olds dating. I mean, really, because they've never... Except for their mature adults. And they're 27. But they've never had a relationship before, so they have no idea what they're doing.
Starting point is 00:14:20 So they really are like 16-year-olds. Well, it'd be like a 19-year-old for me. I think they're just at the early stage of dating. And they can, I think they're actually handling in a more mature way than a 16-year-old would do it. 16-year-olds might be like, oh, let's just do whatever, blah, blah. But they're kind of... Yeah. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:14:37 Okay. Okay, well, happy birthday. Thank you. No, I don't know what you mean. Sex. Oh, that's what you meant. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:14:48 You know what I mean? Okay. Do you know now? I do know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I know now. I know now what you mean.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Okay, well, we'll start today's show. Anything you want to say, Amy? I just hope everyone has a great day. I hope they have the great day, too. Lunchbox. Man, just look good, feel good. That's all you got to do today. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:15:07 Yeah, happy birthday, Mike D. Yesterday. Yesterday. Yesterday. Or 364 days ahead. Yeah. Out of way. And then, yeah, here we go with today's show.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Yes. Do you have anything to say? Not really. It's the end of the day. He's kind of spent. At the end of the day, right now, are you just kind of like, all right? He is so much more ahead of them today. His day has just begun.
Starting point is 00:15:29 I've been talking a lot, yeah. Yeah. So I'm good with this. I got more to do, but not this. Okay. Our logo looks legit. I'm telling you right now. It looks like a creepy porno shoot.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Mike D. How cool is our logo? Let me see the logo. It looks pretty good. I don't even know what a porno shoot is, really. I don't know what that. You've never seen one? No, not a shoot, no.
Starting point is 00:16:02 But Raymond was looking all like sexy. That's what made me think of that. That's what he does. Do you all have props like football? Proff. What are they? What are they? No props, Amy.
Starting point is 00:16:16 All right. Here we go. Tuesday show starts now and away. Hey, we go. Folks, it's your buddy and my... Mr. Bobby phone. Yeah, good morning, good morning. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:16:37 The big Tuesday show. Good morning. Morning. Yeah. Who's on the phone? Miles in Arkansas. Hey, dude. Hey, what's up, Bobby?
Starting point is 00:16:44 How are you doing? Good, man. What are you up to? Just driving down Don Tyson here in Springdale, man. About to get on 49. I appreciate that call. What can I do for you this morning? Well, I just recently graduated from Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:16:59 saw tech and so I've been looking for a job and uh got down in the dumps a little bit my grandma told me not to worry about it because uh I'd find a job and you know great about it and guess what I got hired last week so it's really awesome. Hey look at this guy. Yeah yeah yeah. Come on. Come on. Go ahead. Tell me some more. I just want to uh I just want to thank you man. You inspire a lot of people and uh I think I'm going to go get your new book today too. So Hey, look at this guy. Yeah, yeah. Making moves.
Starting point is 00:17:32 I mean, you're already inspired. I don't know you need it anymore. You got the job, right? Yeah, but, man, dude, I went and saw you a couple years ago down at the Wal and Art Center. And they're the racing idiots. And, man, you all are awesome. Oh, thanks, man. Well, I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:17:49 What kind of job you got? What are you doing now? Well, actually, it's kind of weird. You know, I went to school for broadcast journalism. But that's not what I really want. to do anymore. So I'm going to be a freight broker. So it's going to be out. I don't know what that is. What is that? Like, you know, logistics for you're trying to hook up carriers and customers together.
Starting point is 00:18:14 Is there math involved? No, man. You think I'd be having the job that there was math involved? I don't know, but I heard logistics. I hear logistics and it's like one of those, one of those those Apple commercials or what is that the guy that talks to you that? Oh yeah, Walton or Watson. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Watson, IBM commercial.
Starting point is 00:18:34 I'm like logistics. Oh, hey, listen, all seriousness. Congratulations, Miles. Appreciate you and glad that we on the show can provide a little bit of inspiration for you. And good luck with your new job, buddy. Thank you, Bobby. Hope you have a great day, man.
Starting point is 00:18:46 You too, bud. See you later. Go get that work in. You know what I mean? Can't get that work in unless you get out. That's why I always say. Got a new tooth today. Feeling good today.
Starting point is 00:18:54 Feeling good. No gap in there? No gap in there. Well, they had the temporaries. What they did aim, I know you're making fun of me yesterday, but they took two teeth out because I had a gap in between, and they just put one big old temporary in there, so it's been like I've had one mega tooth.
Starting point is 00:19:07 It's been like a superhero tooth. Your food stands no chance. Are you sure you want to get rid of that? I didn't because it was. It was like a megatooth. The mega tooth was pretty much rocking for a while, but now I got two teeth back in there in the back. They're fake.
Starting point is 00:19:21 They're caps. So, yeah, I'm feeling pretty good today. Everybody else good? Yep. All right. Well, with that being said, I'm going to put my finger on this mouse and hit this. Recognizing people, doing cool things. It's ICU. Lyft, you know, the car service?
Starting point is 00:19:37 Yeah. Kind of like Uber. Lyft is giving cancer patients free rides to their medical treatments. Amazing. Yeah, it's a good story. The app is working with the American Cancer Society to run the program. Cancer patients call a certain number. They set it up.
Starting point is 00:19:50 Free rides are provided. That's pretty cool. They're doing it in 10 cities right now. And some of those cities are. Vegas, Atlanta, Houston, Denver, Philadelphia, a lot more too, but I think that's just a cool idea. No, I love it. It's great. Over to Ray Mundo with the news now.
Starting point is 00:20:05 The Lobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. It's producer Ray Mundo in Indiana, outside of Indianapolis. A child fired a gun inside of an IKEA on accident. The kid found the gun in one of the couch cushions and pulled the trigger. Luckily, nobody was injured. In weather news, severe weather today around the Great Lakes, possibility for tornadoes. be pop-up showers in the upper Midwest and South.
Starting point is 00:20:29 And finally, in sports, the college world series was rained out. Game one's going to be tonight between Arkansas and Oregon State, 7-6 Central. They do this list of best restaurants in the world. I was just watching on the news. And all these owners are like, oh, I hope I make it. And it's this big ceremony. And so, number, and they're all over the world. This is cool.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Well, yeah. But to me, I read it, and I go, but how much does it cost? Yeah. So the number one restaurant's called Astoria Francescana. It's from Modana, Italy. And so Mike Deez got the information else. So to have one meal there, how much is it cost? $314.14.
Starting point is 00:21:09 Wow. They charge by the person. That's with like beers and stuff? I think it's like paired with a wine tasting. Is that a clue tip? So wait, 314 per person? Yeah, that person. Oh.
Starting point is 00:21:21 But can you get into this place even? Like I would think that even at that preface is the number one restaurant the world, you can't get in. Yeah, really hard to get in. It's probably like on Valentine's night, you've got to get that 1030 or that 4 p.m. The biggest American restaurant is at number four. It's called 11 Madison Park in New York City. Tell me about this.
Starting point is 00:21:41 They charge you $295 per person and no tip required because it's built in. That's my kind of place. Wait, lunchbox is $2.99. I'm just saying no tip. I didn't take it. It's built in. It's built in, meaning you pay it with a price. Oh.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Anything else that's stuck. out about this list you might do? I mean they're 12 course meals that's a lot of food. It's got to be single bites right? For sure. Like one of the courses has got to be like a gumball. It's a plate with a gumball. Oh. You don't even follow. Like
Starting point is 00:22:09 these websites, they don't even really have menus because... You just go and you'll like what we give you. Exactly. It's like yeah, see, 50 best restaurants in the world. I had the top 10 here. Sponsored by San Pellegrino. I'm assuming that's the bottle of water or a guy named San.
Starting point is 00:22:25 You said top 50? What's cheddar? Cheddars. You guys, it not on there? Cheddars didn't make it. Dang it. Mm-mm. You think they went and tried it?
Starting point is 00:22:36 Only ones in America. What? You think they went and tried cheddars and they missed out? I mean, how do you know they've tried all the restaurants? I don't know. Lunchbox does love cheddars. If you said, Cheddar's is also regional. But cheddars would be, you know, it's like a Chili's.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Yeah. It's a little more chain. Well, chili is a huge chain. But chedd's a huge chain. But Cheddar is more like family food. Yeah, I guess you'd call family food. I don't know what you, I mean, I got some. Like, what do you order at Cheddar's?
Starting point is 00:23:03 Oh, their grilled catfish is delicious. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Okay, it's kind of southernish. Yeah. Yeah, it's kind of southernish. Yeah, it's kind of a southernish kind of place. What's your favorite chain in restaurant?
Starting point is 00:23:15 If you had to pick a chain. Oh, Tickley. Yeah, but like for dinner, though. Because not fast food, but lunchbox likes Cheddar. Cheddar. Hmm. Chain. Favorite chain.
Starting point is 00:23:25 He's going to think hard about this. You know, and I'm not eating meat right now, but you know what I really like is Outback Steakhouse. Oh, that's legit, man. That, when I was growing up, if you went to, that was a big deal. And so, yeah, Alback's up there for me. Blooming onion? But not anymore, but yeah. Red lobster was a big deal for me growing up as a kid.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Once a year, we'd go to Red Lobster's family. That was the dinner. Man, I guess Chili's. Yeah. But, Eddie, that's yours, right? That's mine, for sure, Chili's. We still go, like, every week. Oh, you know what else is real good?
Starting point is 00:23:54 is roadhouse because you get the three rolls. Oh, yeah. Lodfax is so right about the rolls. In college, we used to just go there and get the rolls. Let me just throw in for sake if Pizza Hut. That's not a fast food place.
Starting point is 00:24:05 But the Pizza Hut thin crust pizza with pepperoni, are you, ugh. Yes, and to go eat there with a salad bar and everything? With the salad bar. With the French dressing. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:15 Since you mentioned salad, Allegarden. Oh, legit. None of them are on the left. What's wrong with this place? We forgot to talk about it. this, but Eddie was in Florida over the weekend, and you guys were at the pool, the family
Starting point is 00:24:29 was? Yeah, we were having a great time. Apparently a kid threw up in the pool. And then that happened. One of your kids? No, another kid. Around our kids, and as soon as it happened, we're like, get out, out, out, out. And then some other kids around them, too, were like, ah, they ran away. But there was a big pool. And so,
Starting point is 00:24:45 we're like, do we tell someone? And do we risk having the pool get shut down for the whole weekend? Wait, so how old's the kid? He's probably junior's age, so maybe 9, 10. And he just throws up on the pool. Man, out of nowhere. I was watching him too.
Starting point is 00:24:59 He's having a great time. And then just his face just turned different and then boom, came out. And it floated. Oh. And even the mom tried to just like put it in the drain and was like, okay, this isn't going to work. Like, everybody out. But I'm telling you, we could have called someone and shut the whole pool down. Because when that happens, I've seen it before, when like someone does something else in the pool,
Starting point is 00:25:15 they drain the whole thing. And it's out of commission for like two days. They don't drain the whole pool. They put some chemicals in it. I remember kids going to the potty in the pool when I was a kid and you get out. for 30 minutes, they put some chemicals in at your back and they don't drain the whole pool. You're crazy. Look, I'm talking from experience one time,
Starting point is 00:25:32 junior, you had to go number two. Oh, they drain the whole pool. Oh, that I gave Priciana Pool. Yeah, yeah. But your kids got out and they were done? They were out. They were done. Like, the party's over. Let's why could you say potty now? Well, I was around little kids this weekend,
Starting point is 00:25:47 so they say potty and so it gets in your head. Are you changing your vocabulary since you're about to have a baby? No. What do you mean? No, I still cursed around the house You curse around the wife's belly? Yeah The kid doesn't know what
Starting point is 00:26:01 It's just words to the kid They don't know their bad words So you got years to change that Your wife's do when? August 29th Wow, basically two months from now Yeah, basically two months How you feel?
Starting point is 00:26:15 Who Starting to get a little tight Yep Starting to get a little freaked out Do you sleep and dream about this at all Has it like creeped into your head? There's been a couple nights where I, because usually I can just lay down and go to sleep, there's been a couple nights where I lay
Starting point is 00:26:28 there and just think about, oh my gosh, I'm going to be a dad, I'm going to be a dad, I'm going to take care of a kid, I'm going to have to change a diaper, I'm going to do this, I'm going to have to do that, and I don't fall asleep right away. Are you more scared or excited? More excited. Because if I look at some of the people that have kids and if they can do it, I can do it. So there's a little bit of scared. I mean, that's true.
Starting point is 00:26:48 There are some terrible people out there that have kids and the kids make it. So I'm pretty competent, dude. Yeah. And is that the right word? Competent? Yeah. I think it can fit, yes. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Good. And how's your wife doing? Oh, she's great. Seven months pregnant, feeling pretty good. Yeah, looking good, feeling good. Just growing. I mean, you can see it out there now. There was one kid this weekend.
Starting point is 00:27:11 She stood up and he goes, he's a six-year-old. He goes, oh, wow. That didn't make her feel too good. Oh, because she's big. Oh, he was staring. Yeah, he saw the belly. He said out loud, oh, wow. And he got those big saucer eyes.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Yeah. Well, I mean, she's seven months per night. I know, but it's hard to hear it. I guess. I don't know. She has hormones. I don't know. And so I had to be like, it's okay.
Starting point is 00:27:33 It's beautiful. You're glowing. Oh, you have to do that. You have to do that. You have to say you're glowing. So do you really think she's glowing? I don't know what that means. I mean, she has a baby inside of her.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Everybody says, oh, it's not her. She's glowing. Okay, you're glowing. So you say that. She's glad. Yeah. She's a glowing. The latest from Nashville in Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Amy's 32nd Skinny. Jana Kramer and her husband, are expecting their second child in November. Jana shared on Instagram that they're expecting their rainbow baby. And she also opened up about her struggles getting pregnant to People magazine. She's now through her first trimester with this baby and knows the sex, but won't announce it for another couple of weeks. You can read more at bobbybones.com.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Congratulations to Morgan Wallen. He is celebrating his first number one as an artist with Up Down, featuring Florida Georgia Line. It steals down, up down. It steals the number one spot from David Lee Murphy's. Everything's going to be all right, which falls to number five. I'm Amy. That's your 30 seconds getting. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:28:36 With Amy. Tell me something good. Shout out to this Lowe's delivery driver that made this little boy's dream. So his family ordered a refrigerator. And I guess all along his parents are like, yeah, the refrigerator's going to come and it's going to be in this huge box. And you're going to get to play in the box and make a box for it. Well, Lowe's delivered the refrigerator, boxless. So the little boy was like, excuse me, Mr. Delivery driver, where's the box?
Starting point is 00:29:03 I'm going to make a fort. And then Delivered driver's like, sorry, kid. But then do you know what the delivery driver did? He went back to Lowe's. Found a box, picked it up, brought it back to the boy's house, the biggest box. And that way the boy could have his box fort. That's kind of cool. It is because that driver's, you know, he's got other things to do.
Starting point is 00:29:22 His name's Alejandro Porter. Shout out. That's a cool thing, too, because it's like something that any of us could do. Meaning sometimes when you do a story, it's like, tell me something good. This guy donates $100 or billion. You're like, oh, well, that's good. But I couldn't do that. Right.
Starting point is 00:29:35 But this, any of us could show kindness like that. And Box Sports kind of did rock. Yeah. And by dead, I mean, still do. Yeah. Well, there you guys is a good story. Thank you, Amy. That's tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:29:52 This story comes to us from Columbus, Ohio. A man walked into a bank, handed the teller a bag, and said, put money in the bag, this is a robbery. She said, sir, before I can give you money, I need to see your ID. Oh, what? Wow. And so he handed over his ID.
Starting point is 00:30:08 She filled up the bag with money and left. She had the ID. Police went to his house and arrested him. Wow. Okay, one, I mean, what a knucklehead. I want to drop into bank. Two, obviously, this is not some mastermind scheme because a mastermind doesn't even
Starting point is 00:30:21 rob a bank with his ID on him. Yeah, good point. Oh, smart. Yeah, probably. And then he gives it. Yeah, hang on. Yeah, you need verification. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:30 There it is. You need a sign for the money? That's me. Look at our faces and the same. I promise. And so then, but what about her? That's pretty genius. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:30:42 Let me pause. Oh, you're not saying, that's genius. It's not her money. It's not, it's not. It's not her money. Why would she put her life at risk going and doing anything extra, meaning like, oh, before I give me this money, why you're robbing me and any time you could shoot me, let me see your ID.
Starting point is 00:30:55 Oh. But that's not smart. And in the end, I like how it ended, because he's an idiot. But in the end, it's not your money. Just give him the money, let him go. I like how it ended. But don't you see where that's probably a wrinkle? Eddie, if it was your wife.
Starting point is 00:31:08 No, just give him whatever they want. Just give him whatever and get out of there. You're right. Good story this time. But if anyone's listening, if they get robbed, just give them the money. I've been robbed. I just like, here you go. As a matter of fact, I was like, hey, let me go get you some more.
Starting point is 00:31:21 I'll meet you back here at midnight. Just come back. So, but yeah, there's your bone hit. On Lunchbox, that's your Bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Some of these kids are so big. The University of Alabama has offered a football scholarship to an eighth grader. His name is Keonta Goodwin from Louisville. Six foot seven, 370 pounds. He's in eighth grade. Yeah. So he's not graduating until like 20, 22. That's exactly right.
Starting point is 00:32:06 He has received a scholarship from Alabama, Georgia, Louisville, Kentucky, LSU, Syracuse, Cincinnati, and Western Kentucky. He can leg press 1,000 pounds. He can bench press 315 pounds as an eighth grader. Dang. An eighth grader, 6-7-370. That's what? 13 years old? Yeah, 12.13.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Wow. Isn't that crazy? 6-7. Who do you think can bench press more? Eddie or lunchbox? Come on. Eddie. Look at us.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Thank you, Amy. Thank you. What do you mean look at you though? You act like you look like a bodybuilder. No, I'm stronger than you. Goodness. Should we put this to the test? Wait, whoa, whoa, Bobby, what do you think?
Starting point is 00:32:44 Don't put it all on me. Gosh. I don't know. Lunchbox is surprising. His arms. Who do you think it can bring up for me? Or her? Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Wow. That's a good one. I'm kind of on your side. Hey, hey. Stabbing. That was stabbing. That was a stab. No, that was a step.
Starting point is 00:33:02 No, it's just because I'm a girl. It makes it more of a stab. You do a shot for no. reason you weren't even in the conversation but you want to because I genuinely I think I believe in push-ups one time relax everyone so if there was a bench press competition
Starting point is 00:33:15 who I think I would go lunchbox what then oh maybe Amy than Eddie I'm not sure wait hold of us you've seen me bench press dude it'd be close lunchbox then Eddie than Amy
Starting point is 00:33:31 I think well you've worked out with him before oh yeah bones and I used to work out like four years ago. Eddie, maybe one time. And you saw me, max out. What about Morgan number two? I think Morgan number two is probably stronger than Eddie. Stronger than Amy for sure.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Stronger than lunchbox for sure. Wait, why is she stronger than me? In the group. It would be me, Morgan number two, lunchbox, Amy. Got it. Hey, Ramundo, what do you think about this? Who do you think is the biggest bench presser here? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:33:57 Eddie? Thank you, Ramundo. I don't know. Maybe we should throw this in the gym and see what happens one day. One day. I'm ready now. Let's go. Man, back in the day, I haven't even been dressed in a while, but honestly, I'd be pretty proud of myself if I did the bar.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Which is 45 pounds, by the way. And then sometimes I'd put two and a half pounds on each side. So that would make it 50 pounds. That's right, Amy. Yeah. What's up? Would you guys do this? Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Bring it. How long do I have to train? One rep. This week. Okay. This week. This week. We go to a gym.
Starting point is 00:34:31 You do. Guys, that's it. You can't train too much. I mean, this is it. Your strength, whatever you have now is what you have. All right, who's the strongest bench presser? Me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:34:39 Out of who? Eddie, I say lunchbox. Thank you. He's a crazy. Okay. Man, Morgan number two got no votes. Well, I don't know if she's especially in. Are you in?
Starting point is 00:34:48 Are you stronger at the lunchbox? I think so. Oh, I love it. Wait, how come she can say I love it? And then if I say it, I'm like throwing stabs at lunchbox. We asked her. We brought her in. You just threw it out there.
Starting point is 00:35:00 You came Kool-Aid manning it into the room. No, I'm exuding just as much confidence. There's a trend happening right now with weddings where couples ask for money instead of gifts. Now, that itself isn't so foreign. Right, yeah, no. But they ask for money to pay for the wedding, like they ask for it ahead of time. Oh, wow. So, how do you feel about that?
Starting point is 00:35:28 I personally wouldn't do it, but I guess if they're wanting to throw an amazing party... Let me throw this at you. Okay, throw it at me. If you're giving them money anyway to help them out, why doesn't matter really where the money goes and how it goes there? I know it's a bit unconventional. And some people go, ooh, I don't know, maybe it can trashy. I don't think it's trashy at all. You're giving them money anyway.
Starting point is 00:35:55 You're buying them a gift. Yeah. So you're basically paying to come to the party. But aren't you doing that by getting them a gift anyway? Yep. True. It's just a totally different way of looking at it. I guess they can't, they can't, whatever kind of party they want to throw, clearly they can't afford to throw.
Starting point is 00:36:12 So they're like, instead of going in debt about it, let's just like ask people to pay for the party. You don't like charging it. I don't. I would not use the word trashy at all. Cover charge? Yeah, it's like, here's your admission. in your ticket. Like, you can come to our wedding, but, you know, here's the cost of a ticket.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Would you be okay with someone spending the cash that you got them for their wedding to pay for the actual wedding? Or would you be annoyed, right? That's the question. Okay. This is what's going to happen. You can call us. We'll grab some calls too. 877-Bobby.
Starting point is 00:36:45 The new turn going on with the weddings is couples are just asking for money to pay for the wedding. Because, again, they can just take all the gifts back and... Yeah, spend it on whatever they want. I'm with you. They can use the money. They can spend it, I guess, however they want. But I am going to think it's a little weird if they come to me before and they're like, hey, this is what we want you to pay for the wedding. But again, whatever, do what you got to do.
Starting point is 00:37:06 I'm giving you the money anyway. Kind of judgmental tone. Look, it's genius. I would never give them the money. But if people are stupid. Oh, so now people are stupid. No, no. Yes, sort of like these GoFundMe pages where they want to make potato salad and people give them $30,000.
Starting point is 00:37:22 If you want to be an idiot and pay for someone else's wedding, by all means, do it. They put up these go fund mes for all. Oh, here, we want to make a movie. You pay for it, but you get nothing but a T-shirt, and people pay for it. If you want to be an idiot and pay for someone else to get married, go for it. I love, hey, if you can get people to fall for your trick, do it. Kathleen in Florida, good morning. Good morning.
Starting point is 00:37:46 What do you think about this? You're going to get married. You say, hey, come to the wedding, we'll take some money, and you pay for the wedding. Well, I always give cash at weddings for, but it's not for the wedding. I think of it as giving cash for the honeymoon rather than the wedding. So you have a problem with giving cash for the wedding, but not the trip after the wedding. Right, exactly. I'm not going to give you money to take for your wedding. If you wanted that big of a wedding, you should have thought of that way before some sin.
Starting point is 00:38:13 Let me ask you a question, though. If I said, hey, Kathleen, let me get some money to eat. Would you be like, I'm going to give you money for dessert, but not for the steak? Okay, well, listen, it's your money, so I guess you can do whatever you want. if you're just going to give money, what's the difference? That's all my point is. If there's an issue with giving money, then I get it. But really, if people can get money and you want to give it, who cares where do they spend it?
Starting point is 00:38:42 Call me new fashioned, huh? Call me new fashioned. Is that a thing? New fashion? I don't know. I like it. I like it too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:50 Hey, Lauren of Florida. Hey, Bobby. So I kind of unintentionally did have people. people pay for my wedding. We set up a honeymoon fund and instead of getting gifts, everyone gave money towards that, but we ended up using a credit card to pay for everything for our wedding and then the points from the credit card paid for our honeymoon, so we just use all for money to pay for the wedding. Yeah, then there's no real difference. There really isn't a difference. That's my only point with all of this is that people are going to give you money, who cares where
Starting point is 00:39:20 it goes. And you're being honest and up front with them about what it's for, so it's kind of like, you can be like Lauren here and be lying to people. No, she didn't. I see how that word out in her favor. It all just kind of like the money just went to pay. It's like, you know, Peter to pay Paul kind of thing. Yeah, Lauren's running like
Starting point is 00:39:34 a money laundering scheme to pay for a wedding. Right, Lauren? Right, Bobby. Like breaking bad. That's what you're running. Hey, thank you. Hey, where are you at in Florida, by the way?
Starting point is 00:39:42 Fort Myers. Where? Fort Myers. Oh, Fort Myers. Love it there. Used to summer there. Really? Nah.
Starting point is 00:39:50 I haven't really summered anywhere in my whole life. But thank you for calling you. Appreciate you. I'll do one more of these calls. Appreciate you. How about this? Hello, Amber and Indiana.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Good morning. Good morning. Thank you for calling. What would you like to say? We're doing a honeymoon fund for our wedding. No, there's anything wrong with that. If people want to give you money, they can give it to and you can do whatever you want with it. You could actually take the honeymoon fund and then put it on a house.
Starting point is 00:40:21 No. You could. That's my point. It doesn't matter. If people want to give, let them give. And everyone comes over and they're like, nice house. Yeah, how'd you get this? We're going to put a little poem in the invitation that says, we know it isn't traditional.
Starting point is 00:40:42 It's not the way it's done. But instead of pots and pans, we like to have a little fun. That's cute. So if you'd like to give a gift to help us celebrate some help towards a honeymoon, we would appreciate. There you go, and a poem. I'll be like, ladies and gentlemen, I don't want to buy any betting because I got lots to pay for, including this is expensive wedding and then I would say hit me with that cash. There you go.
Starting point is 00:41:03 Check. Check. Check yes. Yeah. That's on my nerdy freestyle. Hey, thank you for the call of you. Thank you for the call. Obviously, there isn't a wrong answer here unless you disagree with me.
Starting point is 00:41:17 If someone's going to give you money, who cares? Really? Who cares where it goes? It kind of all goes in the same pile anyway because you're going to be paying out. But thanks for the calls. Appreciate that. Take money at weddings? Yes, I think it's tacky and rude.
Starting point is 00:41:30 And what if I don't get married? They need to pay for a wedding they didn't have. People call off weddings all the time. Oh. I didn't hear what you said because you got a little yelly. Will you say that again? I said, what if they call off the wedding? Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:45 And you pay for this wedding that they didn't even have. It happens all the time. Yeah, but that's on you. I mean, that really, if you want to help pay for a wedding or pay for a birthday or a party or pay for a, it doesn't matter what you pay. Like, that's on you. It's your money. You get to pick what you do with your own money, right?
Starting point is 00:42:00 But do you get a refund? No. If the wedding's called off. No. No, you don't get a refund. Just choose wisely where you put your money. If in your heart you feel like your money is going to a place like loaning to a family member. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:13 I got you. The money's gone. Money's gone. If you loan money, gone. Yes, yes, it is done. The money's gone. And that's it. If you feel like these people in your life could use your money and worst-case scenario, they call it off the next day.
Starting point is 00:42:26 They don't, they're good. I have a problem with people. Go ahead, Rhonda. Okay, so, okay, like, what if they give you, okay, like some people, you know, have wedding showers and you get gifts. I think nowadays a lot of people don't need the gifts because people are getting married in the older age and most everybody has their own home. But isn't it more about the thought and the idea? Like, I don't need a single birthday present. I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:42:48 But when someone gives me a birthday present, I go, well, that's nice. They thought of me. They went through time and effort to think of something. Like, that's what I think, Rhonda. Yeah, but that may be one of the reasons why. they're not really asking for a gift is because they really don't need it, you know, so. We're talking about a lot of maybes and not. My point is, give me the money.
Starting point is 00:43:06 That's all. If you want to give me money, I'll take it. We shouldn't judge people. That's really what it all comes down to. I'm not going to call somebody tacky or rude because they're asking for money to put on their wedding instead of putting on their honeymoon or asking for money to put on their wedding instead of buying them a freaking toaster. But some people, some people do the dollar dance at a wedding and it's fun and cute and whatever.
Starting point is 00:43:27 And some people think it's the tacky. thing they've ever seen. And it's like, oh, my gosh. And who are we to judge other people's tackiness? Really? Can we not look in the mirror and go, you know what? We're quite tacky ourselves and we're going to call somebody else tacky? So what about going in debt? And then just using the money you get at the wedding to pat your debt off. I mean, what about it? I'm not doing that. But what about? And people can give a people. Why are you so angry about this, Ron? Like, you really are upset about this. What happened in your life? Oh, it's not bad. I'm not angry about it. I just, I guess it's just because I'm traditional, you know? I mean, traditionally,
Starting point is 00:43:58 That's not what you do, and I know time's changed, but to me, you know, you should appreciate the gift. And when you're asking for money, are you even to the point where you really need to be getting married? I mean... So you can only get married if you don't need money? I have to have a big elaborate wedding if you can't afford it either, you know? I don't know. I just, I don't know. I've just, I guess I've been raised where you, you know, you're independent and I guess people nowadays are more... I don't think there's an independence thing here.
Starting point is 00:44:24 I just don't think we should be calling people tacky when we're probably doing things tacky in our own life. Oh, and she hung up. Oh, there she got in. If they choose for the gift to be money or cash or a gift itself, that's up to them. But to tell somebody what to give you, I mean, only if they ask you, what can I get you. But, I mean, look at Christmas. Would you go around and tell everybody I want this and this and this for Christmas and expect specifically that? I would do like what are they called a shower, a home shower?
Starting point is 00:44:52 Yeah. Like, that's not tacky when you go out. Here's all the stuff that I've picked. Oh, man, you go around with that, like, scanner gun at the store and you're like, beep, bleep, and you're like, and you're That's what this is. That's what this is too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So yes, the answer is yes.
Starting point is 00:45:04 It's like my family, we were talking about how people get to where they don't know what to give at Christmas, and they just swap, like, gift cards or money. And really, you're just giving somebody the same thing that they gave you, and you might as well just keep your own money and buy your own present. But I think you're missing the idea that it's just a giving part of it, that it's just your heart going. I'd like to give you something. Here's my time and a gesture. Well, that's true. Yeah, we'll end there. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:45:29 Well, she said that's true. That's true. Thank you. I'd much be talking to the circle of you. Let me do a more. Hello, you're on the air, Brenda in Ohio. Thank you for calling. Well, good morning.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Good morning to you. You want me to disagree with you after that song? I believe most people are good, and I do believe that. I do, too. My whole problem with calling someone tacky is that's pretty judgmental. Just straight up, it's judgmental because all that we do, we're going to call somebody else tacky? Like, let's look in our own hearts. And we're going to call somebody else tacky?
Starting point is 00:46:00 Like really? We're going to call someone else tacky. I think it's okay to just believe, like for yourself. Like you would, like I would personally. I would personally never. Let me look. I would personally never ask someone to pay for my wedding. But Bobby's point is like, hey, we should just not really care if someone else does it.
Starting point is 00:46:19 It's really not harming us in any way, shape, or form. We shouldn't judge them or think it's tacky. Like, would we do it for ourselves? Maybe not. But do we care if somebody else does it? Probably should. Nope. Yeah, other things care about.
Starting point is 00:46:29 I have to agree with that But I have to go back and think What is the point of a wedding So for the money or You know To me I think the wedding is about bringing family and friends Together an incredible day Then according to that logic
Starting point is 00:46:49 You should spend zero dollars on it Zero dollars I think it's to show off Well you do Anyway I'm down the pole here It's definitely taking some twists and turns What's that? Well it's just kind of taking on more than
Starting point is 00:47:02 It's simply put I think you're right Like, people can do whatever we shouldn't judge them for it, and it can just get really complicated with what you view is what a party is supposed to be like, who's supposed to pay for it. I mean, traditionally, the bride's parents pay for it. Yeah, if you ask me, no. So. Sounds tacky to me. Let's not worry about what other people do.
Starting point is 00:47:25 That's my only point. What's a good book say, Eddie? A good book says, thou shalt not judge. Judge, not, yes, ye be judged. Well, yeah, I have the American version. Oh, you do. Yeah, translation. It was a bear attack.
Starting point is 00:47:40 By the way, a bear attack just sounds scary anyway. So this woman was up in the woods, and she was like, hey, there have been bears around here. These people are like, ah, bears, come on. And so she got attacked by a bear after she warned everyone. The bear starts to claw at her, mauler, and her husband comes over, and she's kicking the bear in the head. And he stopped. The bear stopped. Wow.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Because the bear was getting blunt force in the head. Yeah. So they did not have a phone signal. They were not able to raise any sort of alarm and call and go, hey, bears. But had her husband not seen the bear, there was also kids sleeping nearby. Luckily, the bear picked her because she was a bit bigger. Yes. I mean, not lucky for her, but yes. Yeah, well, yeah, yeah. Well, I'm sure she's like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:27 You know, I bet she probably would have picked. I was also watching this video on Reddit of this alligator coming in. chasing this human to shore and is like a 13 year old kid and I think they were in like South Florida do you see this? And the guy starts dropping he jumps an elbow like from the top rope
Starting point is 00:48:46 So there's not literally a top rope It's like wrestling Yes but he can't The kid can't get up on the bank And so he's like oh no He has to save the kid So he basically jumps and elbows The Alligator on the head
Starting point is 00:48:58 Amazing It's instinct Both of these are instinct An elbow though instinct I mean that would never Maybe he wrestles Yeah maybe he's a wrestling It's not Superfly Jimmy Snooka.
Starting point is 00:49:08 The slam really isn't an instinct, I don't think. He's coming from the top and he has to hit him with something. What else do you do except jump on your butt? It is. I mean, it really was like, I have to do something. That Algarter was close. It was awesome. I mean, it was creeping.
Starting point is 00:49:22 And the guy's like, I got to go down on it and just goes, boom. Just nails it with his elbow. That's amazing. I don't think he was thinking he was a wrestler. I think that's just the one object on his body he could use. And it looked like jumping from the top rope. He did. After the elbow, he didn't pick him up.
Starting point is 00:49:36 He took up and body slam? He didn't. He didn't give him the Scorpion death lock. Okay. No, all right. Okay. The claw. The old heart punch.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Yeah, but it was all instinct. I mean, all this is good to know. I like hearing these stories. The Franken Steiner. Who did that one? Scott Steiner. He used to jump up to the Steiner brothers. Wrap his legs on him and plop him over.
Starting point is 00:49:57 That's good stuff. Yeah, man. What's that, babe? Sorry. I don't know these moves. But the guy does have hair like... Do you see this? Oh, my.
Starting point is 00:50:05 Oh, my look, he's going on it. Eddie, did you see that? That's amazing. That's amazing. He even sets up, he's like, I got him. But in real life... Where is this? But in real life, the alligator's chasing him.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Like, that's a real thing. And the dude looks like Tarzan. Yes, I was about to say, is this a movie? No. Like, he's throwing rocks at it. He's trying to get the all the alligator stock. So he is throwing rocks at it first. Yes, that's the greatest video ever ever.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Hey, put this up. William Morgan number two. Yep. Eddie, isn't it the greatest video ever? He starts throwing rocks. And he's like, I got him. And he jumps up off the rope with an elbow in the head. There is no rope.
Starting point is 00:50:40 Everybody is the top rope. Okay. Okay. All right. All right. Eddie wants a book, I guess. I want to want you wanted a book? Yeah, I'd like a book.
Starting point is 00:50:49 I'm just waiting. I didn't want to make a deal out of it. I'm just waiting. Well, here's the thing. I wrote a book. And I've said forever I feel weird about giving them to people as gifts. I didn't know you wanted. I would have given you one.
Starting point is 00:51:02 Do you want a note in it? I want a little note on it with a little note on it with a signature. on the bottom and yeah, I want to read it, man. You know I care about you a lot. Like in real life. I know, yeah. Like, I really, like I care about you deep in my rib cage. Yes. I'm all heart. Yes, I know that. So much so that I don't want it to be awkward where you have to feel like you have to read this book. No, this is me telling you I want to read it. And I would like to be gifted a book. Okay, I'll give you if you really want it. Yes. Huh. But now I don't know, because now if I'm not giving people
Starting point is 00:51:29 books, are they going? I know. Hey, Morgan number two, let me ask you. What do you think about this? Because do you want a book? Sign by me? Yeah, I do. Really? Yes. This is so weird to me. I mean, for sure the people that you work with on the show, yes. I need someone like an Amy to be my meter on this
Starting point is 00:51:47 because I am in the camp of don't bother people. Can I just tell you that I kind of just assumed you already got everybody on the show aside? No, he hasn't. I would, I didn't, and not because I don't, hmm. I know, I'm not saying it's wrong of you. I get the awkwardness and what you're saying totally
Starting point is 00:52:03 makes sense, but. I don't want to impose in people's lives. I know. I'm happy to give you all signed books. Yeah, well, see, my struggle was like, do I support my buddy and go buy one? I have to do that. I mean, it's... Okay. Listen, the truth is, Eddie, I'm not making any more money if you buy a person or not. Okay, then I'm not buying it.
Starting point is 00:52:19 So I'll give you... Oh, I thought you went to Barnes & Noble and bought it. No, I read it there. No, he just posed for a picture with it. I posed for a picture, but while I read, I looked in it and I read a couple of pages. What'd you read? I read that part about the skydiving. Woo! I did. I read that part. That was luckily the part that opened up and it was right there and I read it.
Starting point is 00:52:37 I went to buy it. What? No, no, no. I didn't buy it. Just photo op. I posted for the picture. The photo op probably was worth more than you just buying it. That's what I'm talking about. Sure. And you did post it. That's true. And you should carry them around with you in like a backpack. And when you go to a restaurant, let's not be ridiculous. I'm not trying to be a bragger.
Starting point is 00:52:54 Bones, that's a great idea. You tip with the book. With a little signature on it. And you're like, here's a tip. Read this. Now we've gotten into a murky land that I don't like being in. Or you sit at the table and you read it and see if they notice it's you on the cover. Who did, I gave a book to Mike D. Obviously, he was in it.
Starting point is 00:53:12 Yeah. Amy, because she was in it. And on the air you gave one. I got one. Thank you. Raymond, do you want a book? Absolutely. I've already read the first chapter, but I want to read the other.
Starting point is 00:53:22 Well, now I kind of honestly do feel bad in my heart. If you guys really wanted that, I would have given you one. No, don't feel bad. Just give us one. Well, even. Yeah. Just give us one right now. What you think of my, the reason I went skydiving.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Oh, dude, amazing. Wait, so do you know what the... I don't want to give it away because, you know, it's a story. Do I know why you went skydiving? Do you know all the details? No, I just, I landed right on the page. We should talk about it off here. Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:42 Okay. What? I have to get to that part. Anyway, everybody listening to have a new book, and you don't have to read it. But I'll say this, I wrote it for people like us that don't really like to read. Like, it's not this book that talks over your head. Yeah, good. Because I don't like to read.
Starting point is 00:53:56 Right. But I will read. I read your last book and I'll read this one. Thank you. It's called. Fail until you don't. Thank you. Fail until you don't.
Starting point is 00:54:02 Repeat. Fail until you don't. That's right. It came out a week ago. Wow, it has been officially a week. Mm-hmm. It has been officially a week. So how does that feel?
Starting point is 00:54:11 I feel good. Oh, I feel so good. Yeah, it feels good. It does. I only have a bit more book promotion to do. Like, I'm done talking about on the radio except for this. I didn't know this was a real thing. Yeah, real thing, man.
Starting point is 00:54:22 I apologize. I'll make sure everybody gets a book that wants one, and I'll sign it with a hand. Apology accepted. Okay, thank you. It's time for the good news. With Lunchbox. Something good. A Michigan woman was so excited.
Starting point is 00:54:37 She bought a scratch-off lottery ticket, scratches, scratches. Oh, I won $500. She goes to the gas station and tries to cash it. And they said, ma'am, you've got to go to the lottery office to cash this. Goes to the lottery office? She won a million dollars. Wow. Think of the joy that, let's back up.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Think of the joy at winning $500 on a scratch-off. Amazing. Oh, yeah, like, yeah. I don't even know. I mean, it has to be amazing. Because I've scratched off, and I think I've won $100 bucks before, and I'm like, are you kidding me?
Starting point is 00:55:07 To win $500 on a scratch off. And then, you're in Cloud 9. You're like, I can't believe this. Let me get my money. Rent. And then all of a sudden they go, no, no, no. You want a million. Heart attack.
Starting point is 00:55:24 She said she was annoyed that the cashier wouldn't cash her lottery ticket. And so when she went to the lottery average, she was like, now I know why. started shaking a million dollars. Yeah, that's cool, man. But I mean, really, the 500 bucks is cool too. All right, that's it. Thank you, Lunchbox. That's Tell Me Something Good. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's crushing candy, getting boring, and you want to try something new. Then you have to play the puzzle game, Best Fiends. The game is so fun, you will not be able to put it down. If you're looking for something new or you're just tired of the same old

It's one of those games that you and you'll probably lose track of time playing. We play it here on the show, especially Web Girl Morgan. That's right. What's your name? Morgan number two? We think you should play too.
Starting point is 00:56:10 Turn it into a competition. Do you really play Morgan number two? Yeah, I really do. Yeah, me too. I played a lot. I played a lot. Listen, it really, it's called Best Fiends. Maybe you're traveling.
Starting point is 00:56:19 You want to pass the time. You don't need the internet for Best Fiends. You can play on a flight. You can play in a cave. Believe me, you will not regret it. So download Best Fiends for free on the App Store or Google Play right now. Best Fiends, it's like best friends without the R. Best Fiends, it's a puzzle game.

Starting point is 00:57:03 What did the necktie say to the hat? What did the necktie say to the hat? You go on ahead. I'll hang around. Get it. That was the morning corny. Vicky. Hi.
Starting point is 00:57:24 What's happening? Much, how are you? I'm really good. Thank you for calling the show. What do you want to say? I wanted to know if you listened to Garth Studio G last night. I did hear, and I have this audio up here, that Garth Brooks threw a shout out to me. Is that true?
Starting point is 00:57:39 Yes, he did. I was so excited to hear that last night. Can I talk about Garth Brooks for a second That I am such a nerd for Garth Brooks I mean I geek out every time I get to be around that guy I don't even try to act cool anymore Because I don't know if it looks like I'm trying to act cool And like he's just a dude I'm interviewing
Starting point is 00:57:55 No, you've like lost all chill I've lost all chill Like he's the greatest And so I'm gonna hit this clip But when I hit it I want everybody to know If it's cool I'm probably gonna pee a little I just let you know here, hold on. Okay, I got to hear this.
Starting point is 00:58:08 I haven't heard it either I just heard about it and I wanted to hear it this morning This is Garth Brooks on his show Studio G Here you go. Okay, we just did a thing with Bobby Bones, and Bobby Bones is, and now out promoting his new book, I think. But the title, listen to the title, okay? It's called Fail Until You Don't. There it is, man.
Starting point is 00:58:26 Don't be afraid to lose. Here's one thing. Be cooler than social media, because the second you lose, social media seems to jump on you, get up, dust yourself off and go. I look like that talking about me. All the things to talk about, and he picks. Wow. That's crazy. Vicki, thank you for that call.
Starting point is 00:58:41 What did you think about that when you saw it? I was so excited to hear him mention that because he is speaking to so many different people, young people, and old people, and it was just awesome. Awesome. I can't wait to read your book. Thank you very much. I do have quite the Garth story in the book. Did you know that?
Starting point is 00:59:00 No, I'm ready yet. I'm not saying that to judgmental way. I haven't given it too much. I don't have it. But I wrote it, Garth's involved in a really big story in that book. I love some Garth Brooks. This is a Garth failing story? It's about me and Garth Brooks.
Starting point is 00:59:12 It's not about Garth failing. Okay. It's about me having a really... It doesn't matter. Okay, okay, okay, I'll read it. By the way, speaking to that... The Bobby Bonds Show on this day in country music. 27 years ago today, 1991,
Starting point is 00:59:28 Garth Brooks had the number one song with the Thunder Rolls. This became his sixth number one song. By the way, just for a reference here... It was written by Garth. But he pitched it to Tanya Tucker. She recorded it and dropped it from her album. So Garth then records. That puts it on no fences.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Come on. And it becomes number one. Wow, I kind of need to hear Kanye Tucker sing it. Oh. Wow, you're already with it. Listen, I have my Garth Brooks ready. I love Garth Brooks. I love his new song.
Starting point is 01:00:06 On a sleepless night as the storm goes. Ninety-one, this song is number one. Let's do Time Marches-on where something happens in your life and you go, oh, I'm getting older. Time marches on. And it starts because of Amy. Yeah. So I'm with Hillary and she's reading about something. She goes.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Hillary's our phone screener, by the way, 25 years old. 25. And she said, wait. Wait, what's a rotary phone again? Oh. She's, she really, she didn't know. She was like, she kind of made the motion of like, is it that thing where the phone like goes? and I'm thinking
Starting point is 01:00:54 I used a road I remember being as a kid I would get so frustrated because you'd get almost all the way done dialing someone's number and then you'd do the wrong one and you had to start all
Starting point is 01:01:04 you had to go click and hang it up and then start all over again to make a phone call yeah my grandma had one yeah and now it just come
Starting point is 01:01:13 and you just hope for the ones and twos yeah it's the closest one yeah but like nine you'd go so I thought wow
Starting point is 01:01:22 Hillary did not know what a rotary phone was. And time marches on. Hey, Hillary, I know she's in there on the phones. When Amy described the rotary phone to you, did it ring a bell? It did. My grandparents used to have one in their garage. I just didn't know that's what they were called. So she did see one at her grandparents' house. So Hillary also watches Amy's kids a lot. Yeah. So whenever you're with Amy, do you feel like Amy's more like your mom, your sister. Oh no, sister for sure. Okay. Yeah, sister. Okay. Like way
Starting point is 01:01:57 older sister? Like extremely much older. Wow. I feel like we're the same age. Who knows rotary phones. Oh, did you hear that? She feels like we're the same age. She's lying. I often wonder because like Morgan number two, we have two generational classes. Oh yeah. We have the 90s kids. Then we have the 2000 kids. And so like Morgan number two is 24. How do you feel? feel about like Amy, myself? Do you feel like we're like older siblings? Yeah, no, I definitely don't think of you guys as parents. The only one who's kind of fatherly is Eddie. Because he looks older. He just, he acts fatherly. He acts more fatherly towards me. Like today I needed Advil and he's like, wait, let me make sure it's okay for you. And I'm like,
Starting point is 01:02:39 wait, what's happening? So everybody else, more siblings for sure. Okay. Well, even if you're lying, thank you. No, I mean that 100%. I'm the fatherly figure. Well, you are the oldest one on the show. By one year. But still, and you're... Baldin. I get it. I saw your hand in motion. For those listening on the radio, I can't see.
Starting point is 01:03:00 I'm a little thing on the top of my head. That was just to Eddie. That's just Eddie. So Time March is on for me, right? I'm in the dentist chair. And they're just replacing it too. A temporary. No big thing yesterday, but I'm in. And I don't like that stuff. So I get a little gas on and music starts to play.
Starting point is 01:03:17 And I have the channels. I like all 90s music, 90s country, 90s alternative. Like, that's just my jam because that's how I grew up. Those would be oldies now. Yeah, well, you know, everyone's like, oh, 90s country is the best. Yeah, you know why? Because that was for us. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:30 People are like, oh, 90s alternative, that's where it was. Yeah, because that's when we were. So this song comes on. Time of Your Life from Green Day. And I think to myself, they just don't make music like this anymore. Like that means something. I know. Time marches on.
Starting point is 01:03:46 Fat bar. Yeah. Now, everybody listen to this. Now this is music. Here it comes. It's something not predictable. See, that's lyrics. That Billy Joe Armstrong.
Starting point is 01:04:00 So that's it. Time marches on. Time marches on. My cousin's kids, I was with them this weekend. They're 10 and 8, and they didn't know what an iPod was. Oh, even an iPod. I pod. Because I still use my iPod on road trips where you plug it in.
Starting point is 01:04:17 and it'll play for you. And I had set it down on their counter and they're like, oh, what's that? And I said, oh, it's my iPod. And they said, what? And I explained what it was. And they go, oh, you mean an iPhone. Wow, you're right, though. Why would a kid know what an iPod is?
Starting point is 01:04:34 Hey, Jane in North Carolina. Good morning. Thank you for calling the show. What's going on? So we were out to dinner and we had this really cute young waiter and we were all trying to decide who you look like. We're like, oh, you look like a young guy. Tom Petty and he's like, who?
Starting point is 01:04:49 Oh, man. Like, no, no, no. He's 22. Oh, man. Yeah, that's time marches on. I marches on. Thank you for that. Appreciate you. Got a new episode of the Bobby cast up.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Yeah, well, the Brett Eldridge one, I actually was trying to listen to it this morning and I couldn't get it to love for some reason. So now I wanted to be all caught up. It must be your phone. I know. I'm not saying it's your thing. But I don't know what was happening.
Starting point is 01:05:22 Like I saw it pop up when I woke up this morning and you get those notifications. And it was like, new Bobbycast, Brett Eldridge. Oh, you get those notifications? Yeah. Oh. Why? I just wondered. Well, I subscribe.
Starting point is 01:05:33 I get them too. Do you? Yeah. Oh. Well, Brett Eldridge came over to the house. He has songs like this. Because I can see you move a little closer, closer girl, I got to get to know. Big old boy.
Starting point is 01:05:44 Like 6'4? Yeah. And so Brett came over to the house. Man, we talked for an hour and 15 minutes. It really got deep. feel like we're best friends now. That's interesting because I don't feel like we know Brett on like a deep level. And there's a reason.
Starting point is 01:05:58 It's in the Bobbycast. What? Yeah. What do you? He shared a reason? Yeah. Anybody heard this show? It happened last night.
Starting point is 01:06:04 I know. Yeah. This is Brett talking about anxiety. I'll get to the point where I was about to go on stage and I would get short of breath. I think I was going to pass out. I have, because I thought, okay, I'm going to fail in front of all these people. I'm going to pass out or something, which we're not going to die from passing out
Starting point is 01:06:19 in front of everybody. And I'm probably not going to pass out. but I was telling myself that, so I was learning that. So I had all these things and all these things because you're about to go give all yourself and you don't want to see yourself fail. I'm telling you guys, it's fantastic. There was a point where we go, okay, we're just in this now.
Starting point is 01:06:34 We're in the ditch together. Let's talk about stuff. And so he's talking about, like, scared to fall in love. I'm almost kind of scared when I actually do fall in love. Like, well, my love songs be as good because I write from a standpoint of how I picture and how magic it can be, and I know it can be magic. I mean, I know it's a real thing.
Starting point is 01:06:51 But how when I'm writing a love song, I'm describing, you know, what I feel like I would love to have, which is the long way it's, you know, I want to get to know the heart of a person and a more depth way of seeing all the stuff that, you know, somebody might not ask him about. So what happened was I was going through his songs and I said, hey, this, the long way, like, that one spoke to me. I said, not because I've experienced that. I said, because I want to want to experience that. And so we got to talk because we're both under 30.
Starting point is 01:07:21 single, you know, haven't been engaged or anything. I think we might have also fallen in love last time. I'll be honest. You want him to take you the long way around his town? Hey, Mike D. Come up with a microphone. Mike D.
Starting point is 01:07:33 A.K.A. Prison Mike. Well, that was a pretty deep one, huh? It was really good. Yeah, in depth. And we just kind of got comfortable. And twice it goes, I've never talked about this before. And I was like, it's all right, buddy.
Starting point is 01:07:45 Yeah. Yeah, you could just feel them opening up to you. Yeah, it was good. So you can search Bobbycast on iHeartRadio or apple podcasts but yeah i thought it was a really good and i think that we're probably going to hang out i'm not kidding
Starting point is 01:07:59 and listen don't be fooled i know people just use me and don't care about me like that's really what i'm here for to them just a guy so they can but um we're a lot of like brett and i are we're just odd odd guys so this is stuff you discovered last night yeah for sure because we set up for an hour and 15 minutes what did you take away from that the talk last night Yeah, I thought you guys were a lot of like that there was just stuff about
Starting point is 01:08:23 insecurities and anxiety. Completely insecurity. Both of us. We hit it off. Again, we might be in love and not the one ever ever said gay. Yeah. And I'm cool with that.
Starting point is 01:08:32 It happens. Yeah, it does. So, yeah, it was a thing. So I'm going to leave it there. Okay. Can't wait to listen. Go listen to it. He has a new song called Love Someone.
Starting point is 01:08:43 I feel like he's like me. Just kind of lost around, bouncing around, looking for somebody. Mm-hmm. you know yeah and it's like we both kind of made this transition too from being total dork nobody nobody would look at it the second time and all of a sudden we're kind of thrust into these jobs we've worked for and now people some people think we're cool so we don't trust anybody because we're like nobody ever liked us ever and all of a sudden you like me like why you guys talked about
Starting point is 01:09:21 all this yeah you're similar trust issues yeah I don't know him before I mean I don't know you'll you'll know him better after all we see is like the really well-dressed tall good looking dude Yep. So he wasn't that before? No, he was naked. Really? Yeah. He was short.
Starting point is 01:09:38 He's four foot six and naked. He couldn't sing. It's bad. Yeah, okay. I reached out to someone, speaking to this. Ooh, I almost don't want to reveal all this. Oh, no, it's a safe place. I know, it's a safe place.
Starting point is 01:09:50 Yes. You can say anything you want. Wait, so nobody hears me right now. Nobody hears you. No, this is just sad. It's just sad. It's just said. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:58 So I reached out to someone. I said, hey, because, I'm going to doing book tour this week. I'm all on the road. And I come back and I thought, I thought, what a good way to, in book tour, I just go to a concert. Because, you know, how often do I just go and go to a concert?
Starting point is 01:10:13 And usually, if I go to a concert, and go, Eddie, and go, hey, man, you want to hang out? And so I asked somebody to go to a show yesterday. I was like, hey, you want to go to concert? The female? What do you mean? We're confirming if it's a old guy friend or? No, it wasn't bread elders.
Starting point is 01:10:27 It was a girl. It was a girl. So when's the concert? Saturday. So it's Hall and Oates. They're a little older than me, but I still love them. And John Oates has done the Bobbycats before, so I kind of know them a little bit. And then train.
Starting point is 01:10:44 Right in my wheelhouse. Wait, they're playing together? Well, not as one band, but they're playing. It's not like the same concert. It's not like the All-Star team. I'm like, that sounds amazing. So I said, hey, you want to go? And they said to no.
Starting point is 01:10:59 They couldn't. Are you serious? So what are you going to do? I guess, I don't know. Oh, man. Can you tell me who you asked? First of all, does it matter if I texted? No.
Starting point is 01:11:12 I don't think so either. I don't, depending on who the person is. I don't talk on the phone. Don't be old-fashioned, me. I'm not being old-fashioned. Does this person know that you typically communicate via text? I don't know. I was just like, we weren't even talking about it.
Starting point is 01:11:24 I was talking about some other music thing. And I was like, hey, music, music, music. I'm trying to give any identities away here. and then I was like, hey, I'm going to watch Holland Oates and Train. Do you want to go? What city are they playing in? Here, Nashville. Okay.
Starting point is 01:11:37 I don't know. She's trying to find out what it is. I don't think you know her. Really? Huh. Yeah. How'd you mean her? That's interesting.
Starting point is 01:11:44 Lunchbox who's never interested in anyone else's life. How'd you meet her? Anyway, if Amy doesn't know her, then this is a... Let me write down the day. This is what a rando? But anyway, it was like, it was a half... It was a... Where in the world would you have...
Starting point is 01:11:59 I don't know. Without Amy. How you meet her person? Without Amy. I introduced Amy to all her friends. That's right. Amy takes all your girls. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:06 I can't even read that. Okay. What is that handwriting? That's my prescription writing. Let me see. It's not a rando. But anyway, she was like, no, I'm out of town. And I was like, mm.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Okay, she's out of town. That's not a. Double checks. Check her Instagram. Did you say rain check? Question mark? No, I did it. But she didn't volunteer as in like, hey, I'm out of town, but let's do something
Starting point is 01:12:25 another time. So I kind of. Oh, I hate that. And she didn't invite you to go out of town with her. No. Well, no, of course not. Well, you never know? Then I'd have been like, no, we'der do.
Starting point is 01:12:33 Let me write it again. Yeah, and then can I have a context? What? Eddie? Why are you writing it again? What's wrong with the first name? It wasn't legible. Trust me, guys.
Starting point is 01:12:43 My pen sucked. Okay. Do you know how that is? No. Let me see. Exactly. I don't. You didn't show me.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Now I know that. No? Bones, let me see it. No. Give me a context clue. Amy's my only friend in this room. Eddie doesn't invite me to go play anything, so I don't talk to him anymore. You didn't invite me to go see a train and home.
Starting point is 01:12:57 You just said he did go-to concert friends. I changed my mind last five minutes. Last two minutes. Amy, tell me off there who was. Okay, we need profession. What should she do? Relax. Hey, chill out.
Starting point is 01:13:12 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. I'm always curious as to what you guys would do in these situations. Thrift shop workers have shown that Sometimes, depending on where you go, they're very honest. Workers at the Discovery Shop in Santa Monica, California, discovered an envelope with $36,000 in cash, stuffed inside the envelope that was stuffed inside a doll box.
Starting point is 01:13:40 And then that doll box had been donated. So staffers got to work trying to track down the donor, got in touch with the man named Ray, and they gave it back to him. The money has been returned. What do you do in that situation, lunchbox? Oh, man, I'm headed to my bank and putting a deposit. Cash. Because it's cash.
Starting point is 01:14:01 It's cash. Anybody can say that was their money. Well, this guy Ray had dropped off an old porcelain doll collection. He had no use for it. He didn't want it as his mom for she passed away. He had no idea that she had stashed the money inside of it. See? No, not see.
Starting point is 01:14:17 He didn't even know he's there, so why would he miss it? His mom left it to him. Listen, for me, I'm going to give it back for two reasons. Reason number one, I would want someone to give it back to me. Like, that's what it comes down to, first of all. It's like, you try to treat others the way you would want to be treated. Two, I also think it might be drug money at any point. Yeah, I don't want.
Starting point is 01:14:37 I don't want to be a part of that. El Chapo, his cousin. How much of a reward are you expecting? If it's $36,000 in cash, that dude's got to break you off at least five. No, I don't think so. Five large. Stop it. Is that $500?
Starting point is 01:14:50 Stop it with your five large, top. $5.000. No, what I'm saying here, this is what I'm saying here. If I don't know, this is my money, like this guy here didn't know it was coming to him, I'm probably breaking them off 10%. If I'm trying to buy a house or something, and that's the exact amount of money I've saved up, I don't know that I have that to donate to give that away, but I would give something away. Okay.
Starting point is 01:15:12 Maybe even a prayer. A prayer. A high five. You can keep your prayer, give me the cash. But I would say if you don't need all that money, you break them off 10%, or as I would call it 10p. Okay. 10p.
Starting point is 01:15:25 I don't know what 10p of 36,000 is, but it would be $3,600. How do you not know 10% of any number? Okay. Got it. I mean, that's the easy one, right? The 10%? Yeah, it's the easiest. Okay.
Starting point is 01:15:39 Actually, 0% would be the easiest, guys. All right. Got us. No, no. Genius. Okay, thank you very much. That was Tell Me Something Good. Morgan number two runs.
Starting point is 01:15:53 of our web, all the Facebook, all the show, Instagram. So sometimes listeners will ask questions, and so she has a list of them over here. All right, Morgan, number two, questions. Listeners want to know. Question number one. What is the latest baby box update? What is the latest baby box update? Baby box update.
Starting point is 01:16:11 The ladies baby box update is, it's, I'm starting to be able to see it move a little bit in my wife's stomach. What you mean? Like, if you just look at the stomach, I don't even have to feel it. a little kick. Wow. Like the stomach little flutters that. Like, let me out of here. Yes. Wow.
Starting point is 01:16:31 That's got to be pretty crazy. Yeah, and they said later on you'll actually be able to see like a arm go across or like a hand be pushing out. Wow. Like Titanic? Yeah. Or like a horror movie when they touched the TV screen. Oh, oldiegeist. Oh wow. So, and your wife's two months away
Starting point is 01:16:47 from having a baby? Two months away from having a baby. First month. First baby. Wow. All right. Baby Box Update. Oh, man. We didn't know what fruit or vegetable it is. Well, let me go over and ask him. Hey, Lunchbox, if you were to compare it to a fruit or vegetable.
Starting point is 01:17:00 Yeah, it's a little watermelon or a large acorn squash. Oh, wow. Egg corn squash. It's like almost two. Egg corn? Yeah. Or I didn't know if he said egg corn. Who knows?
Starting point is 01:17:12 No, egg corn. Okay. It still sounds like egg corn, but still, yeah. It's like two pounds. Morgan number two, what's the next question? The listeners want to know. Where they can get the B-Team shirts? Think about that one for a little bit
Starting point is 01:17:25 Yeah, because I don't really hawk those We are tied to a charity We can't see apparel Yeah, can't see apparel.com Yeah, it's a good Yeah My daughter just packed hers actually Did she?
Starting point is 01:17:37 Yeah, she's gonna wear it 4th of July Because it's red, she said I do love red And she's got a blue skirt And the B team's in white So she's like, I got the red, I got the white And I got the blue America.
Starting point is 01:17:48 America rules by the way That you guys didn't know America rules Yeah. Next question. How did you learn to do the floss? People love watching you do it. Oh, I got on YouTube.
Starting point is 01:17:59 You learned it from YouTube? Yeah. Dude, because you're good at it. No, I'm not. Yes, you are. But I'm okay at it, but those kids are really good at it. Yeah. On my Instagram, there were a bunch of kids waiting on me,
Starting point is 01:18:10 and we did the floss together after a show. And I do a little extra hip move, though. I add a move. Not because I do it on purpose. Because some people, because I used to take country line dancing, and I used to go countryline dancing, right? Yeah. which we just called line dancing, but for the sake of the story, country line dancing.
Starting point is 01:18:26 And there would always be those people that did the extra move or the extra clap. The extra kick. You just do the dance, but you have those that like, whoop, and you're like, stop. And I never want to be that person. Like in life, I don't want to be that person. But with the floss, I have a little extra hip in there that I'm trying to eliminate. So if you see me doing it, I'm not trying to be that person. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:18:46 There's nothing wrong with being extra. But I got, I'm not trying to be extra. I used to do that in step class because I used to take those. step cardio classes at the gym. And there's certain moves you can do on the box that are extra moves with your feet. And I used to do it extra. Because I'd be like getting that extra burn. You'd be showing off mostly.
Starting point is 01:19:03 I would be because I was almost a step instructor. So I knew certain moves. Did you guys know Amy almost with the step instructor? I just found out right now. But I failed. She failed. Yeah. It's one of the greatest stories in five on show history.
Starting point is 01:19:15 She failed. Yeah, I know. I had to pay my mom back because she went without earning money as a step instructor. because she loaned me the money to go to step instruction school. And I passed the physical part where you had to like do the give a test, like give a class, you know, and like I did great on that. But then you have a handwritten test like about anatomy and stuff. Yeah, I didn't take that part seriously. So I was like, I don't know what happens if you pull a calf muscle.
Starting point is 01:19:40 I guess you just died. Sorry, you've been eliminated. Yeah. So I didn't pass and then I never retook the test. So I never became an instructor and then I had to pay my mom back. Morgan number two, what else the listener's asking? They want to know where you can get your book at because there's like 50 photos of people buying your book
Starting point is 01:19:59 and people saying how much they love it. I mean, I guess you get it where books are sold, huh? Yes, Barnes & Noble. All targets were sold out, oddly. And Morgan No. 2 is when I posted it. Yeah, but I think bookstores. Amazon. Yeah, I think.
Starting point is 01:20:13 Okay. So, yeah. Shout to the Austin Airport. Like, they had a big display. Sold up. that. Nashville airport won't even put them in there. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh. Our friend went to her bookstore in California and she moved all your books to the front. I know. It's been, it's been cool. And you do that? Yeah, she did. She did. She did. By the way, if you go to a bookstore and you move my books up to the front and did you tag me in
Starting point is 01:20:36 Insta story, I will hug my phone. That's funny. You know what else people are doing? They're taking my book and they're gifting it. They're buying it online and gifting it to people and sending them to people. Yeah. That's a really good idea. Yeah. Do you ever go to some of my phone? friends that I follow on Instagram that have, I guess they're my Instagram friends, but they've written books and they, if they happen to be at a bookstore, they'll go find their book and they'll just randomly like sign it. Yeah, I do that. Oh, you do? I was told to do that. Yeah. Again, what do I know about writing? Because I'm not a real Arthur. Arthur. Arthur. Yeah. So I, author? An Arthur. I consider I'm an Arthur. Like, real authors are authors. I'm an Arthur. Okay. Yeah. You know, when you're an author, you write to the people on the
Starting point is 01:21:19 same wavelength. I'm trying to write over anybody. But they tell you in Arthur's school, if you go, just start writing in books. And matter of fact, I sign other people's books too. I'll go in, find a John Grisham, bidebones. Oh, nice. Stephen Kuhn. That's a lucky person who's going to get bad. Nicholas Parks? No, no, no. Bibones.
Starting point is 01:21:35 Okay. Anything else, Morgan number two? I know that's about it. Okay, thank you very much. You know who messaged me last night was Candace Cameron, DJ Tanner from Florida. Yeah, what did she say? About my book, oddly. Did she read it? And not to keep talking about the book. Did you send her a copy?
Starting point is 01:21:50 No, I did not. I sent her, she asked for the first book. Okay. And I sent her that. She was like, hey, I want to read the second book. Okay. I don't think she was asking for a free one. I think she was like, which one do I read first?
Starting point is 01:22:00 And I was like, they're just different. Totally different. Yeah, I thought it was cool that she messes. I geek out a little bit when she messaged me. And what does she say? What do you mean? Like, what did she say verbatim? Well, I felt like that would be like, not.
Starting point is 01:22:12 It wouldn't be fair to her. Yeah, okay. She sent me like four messages. Oh, wow. That's a conversation. Is that an heart emoji? She said, though, I can say this. She goes, didn't mean to hit the heart.
Starting point is 01:22:20 Now I feel awkward. Okay. I was like, wait a second. That is funny. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a whole thing there too. But no, she's really, I like her. You know why I like her?
Starting point is 01:22:30 Because she's nice to me. I like people that are nice to me. Some people are. Could be a beer shortage this fall. Oh, no. Uh-oh. Beer industry insider say a legal battle might end up causing a shortage of Papsed Blue Ribbon. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:22:47 PBR. PBR and Miller Coors are headed to court in November. And so, it could be a beer shortage. Uh-oh. You like beer? Love beer. That's my drink of choice. You know, I was comparing me eating a piece of bread to a guy
Starting point is 01:22:59 drinking a beer the other day. Explain. Well, because I don't eat bread, I love bread. But I took a bite of bread. And this is what it felt like, okay? So I take the bread and I chew it up. And I swallow it, and it feels like this. Oh.
Starting point is 01:23:14 Like that was perfect. Like, it was just like, oh. Yeah. And I wondered if that's what after a long day of work having a beer felt like. Absolutely. An ice cold beer, you take that first drink and it's like, oh. That's what having that bite of bread did. Sometimes a sip of wine happens with that.
Starting point is 01:23:28 Or if I haven't had anything sweet in a long time, like sugar and I have a bite of chocolate, even if it's dark chocolate, which isn't even a sweet. In the back of my jaw area, it tingles. But do you go, ugh. Yeah, and I'm like, oh. When I drink a Coke and I love Coke. But I don't. I don't drink Coke.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Yeah, we don't. I love them. I love them. But I'll have one sometimes. And I'll go, I'll swallow it. Oh. Yes. We're so lame.
Starting point is 01:23:58 We're so lame. I'm like, I had a bite of bread. I'm such a bad boy. I wonder why I can't get a girl on Bumble, yeah. I got no matches on Bumble. I got on this other one called Raya. Nobody want to talk to me there either. So I'm just done.
Starting point is 01:24:16 I'm out. That means you're like out, out? Are you just going to try the old-fashioned way in? Oh, no, I'm just done with the dating thing. The app. Yeah. Okay. I'm going to get off that.
Starting point is 01:24:27 Going over to Tinder? No. No. That's no. Why? I mean, if you just, if you take everything out, you're not going to catch a fish. You have to keep going. Oh, keep the bait in the waters. Yeah, like if you're not going to be in one ocean, you've got to try the other ocean.
Starting point is 01:24:42 No, it's not for me. All right, I'll sign you up for something. It feels a bit. You know, it is what it is. It feels a bit what? I'm just here over here swiping. Yeah. But here's what happens in my head.
Starting point is 01:24:53 I'm swiping. I'm like how they look. I'm like how they like. And then I start to go, I'm so shallow. I'm swiping on people. But then I go, don't I do this? In person. Yes, that's what you do.
Starting point is 01:25:02 No, we don't look at someone and be like, ah, get out of my face. Yes, you do. Ah, get out of my face. Oh, you're pretty. Like, no. But sort of. When we're dating, we probably look at people and go, date them, wouldn't date them. You have a swiping's worse than just moving your eyes.
Starting point is 01:25:15 What if you really swipe people in your life? Move. That sounds like an episode of Black Mirror. Black Mirror, yeah. Get out the way. Like, all of a sudden people just, like, fall over. So there you go. I'm getting out of that game as of today.
Starting point is 01:25:29 I did it for a day. Really wasn't my thing. I'm done. Good. And also, people were screenshoting and sending it to me, like, Saw You on Bumble, loser. Oh. So what do you call?
Starting point is 01:25:40 What? That's rude. Well, really, they said, hey, saw you on Bumble. Oh, but that means they're on Bumble. They didn't say loser. They didn't. I figured they were saying. Okay.
Starting point is 01:25:46 Because I'm like if they saw you, then they're on there. And then Eddie, no, like friends would send it to them. Oh. Then Eddie yesterday is all like, the girl doesn't get on Bumble unless she's. It's true. Sums up. Oh, Eddie was like from between Morgan number two and Jackie, who works here, was in the room. Like, they both met their boyfriends on Bumble.
Starting point is 01:26:04 And Eddie is sitting her telling on that they're not good enough to meet someone in person. I'm just saying if there's a good, not crazy, beautiful girl out there, she's taken. Like, she didn't have to go on an app. She's not on the app. She's taken in real life. No one swiped her. Not true. I know plenty of beautiful, smart, not crazy girls that are on Bumble.
Starting point is 01:26:26 Eddie's talking about you specifically. Would you like to say something? Yes, I would just like to say that I dated people the old-fashioned way. And that didn't work out. So why would I be against trying something different? And it did work. Amen. I think you were being impatient, Morgan, number two.
Starting point is 01:26:39 You're still young. I was an impatient. I was single for three years after my last relationship. Three years. That's a lot to not date anybody. at all. Eddie, when did you meet your wife? The old-fashioned way, in-person, met her in-person, saw her with my own eyes.
Starting point is 01:26:54 When you were. Fifteen years ago. How old were you? He was doing rotary swipes. I found her in the classified ads. No, it's just old-fashioned. But you were like 18? I was 21 when we met.
Starting point is 01:27:08 I'm not, listen, I'm not against it. It's just not for me right now. That's all. It's not for me. Just telling me, there's a lot of good girls out there that aren't on that app. So good call. Show me one. Well, come on, let's go.
Starting point is 01:27:19 Where are we going to go? Whole Foods. Okay. Then what happened? What's your deal with grocery stores? You ever walk into Whole Foods or Trader Joe's? Yes, I go there. I'm telling you, that is where the hot women hang out is the grocery store.
Starting point is 01:27:31 I don't know why. Or Target. I told you guys that a long time ago and you never believe in. Like my days of going to Walmart over. I'm a target. You're married. No, I'm just saying, though, I'm not like, you just, well, I'm shopping. You're shopping.
Starting point is 01:27:42 Oh my gosh. No, not window shopping. No, lunch mall's not. No, that's what it is. going by and you're looking at things. You don't buy it. Bones. Let's go to Whole Foods. Nothing hits there. Go to Trader Joe's and then Target.
Starting point is 01:27:55 If you don't find anything with your eyes, move on. Okay. Question, or not question, statement. I never knew this about my nanny who we have, because I work, my husband works, so we have someone that takes our kids to school and all that stuff. And she said, we're in the car listening to the show right now. And I met
Starting point is 01:28:10 Eric on Match.com and we're now engaged. So, boom. There you go. And she's awesome. Let me say, go ahead. I hear a sigh. I just, I mean, come on, please. Can't tell me that there's no truth to what I'm saying. And what are you saying exactly?
Starting point is 01:28:23 I'm saying that there are normal, beautiful, not crazy girls that are out in the world, not on this app. Okay. And they found their men the normal way. Did you know like 30,000 people a day or something signed up for Match.com? They're being impatient. Okay. They just want to not go out and try to meet someone. They just want the luxury of just going on their phone.
Starting point is 01:28:45 He's like, you're hot, you're not, you're hot. They must not need groceries. Morgan number two is putting her hand in her head, head in her head, whatever. It's just delete some process of elimination. All that Bumble does is speed up the process a little bit. It doesn't mean you're impatient. It just means it makes it a little bit easier, especially if you're as busy as Bobby is.
Starting point is 01:29:03 I mean, you don't really have time to go out and do that kind of thing. You don't have time to go out and meet the love of your lifebones? I haven't yet. How many Bumble coins did you invest and you've already quit? Way too many. Oh, no. You can cut your losses. I think I bought like a third of the company and then I'm like, I'm out.
Starting point is 01:29:21 Yeah, you know, it's just a thing. I don't really know. There's somebody. See, there's somebody. Oh, you're still on. Hey, there's somebody. It's not. It's just, it's not.
Starting point is 01:29:34 Just don't be desperate. Just take your time. They're out there. I'm 38 years old. I know. I know. And you're finally ready. I think now is the time you're finally ready to.
Starting point is 01:29:44 to find someone. Okay. Go to Whole Foods. Today I have to work. And go look for some quinoa or something. And then they'll walk around and do what? And if you see somebody like say, hey, oh, bumper with your car. Oh, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:29:54 Should I go? I'm just swiper. Don't swipe. Just push her to the right instead of tells her out like her. Get out of my face. She used to me like, what are you doing? Be like, I'm swiping right. I swiped right.
Starting point is 01:30:05 All right. Thank you for hanging out with this. I know. It's gotten out of control here. That's my update, though. I'm done. I have retired from Bumble and. Sorry, ladies.
Starting point is 01:30:16 Trust me, they ain't missing anything. All right. Ain't none of them picking me anyway. The old guy from Pond Stars died. Oh, man. Oh, really? Yeah, 77 years old. Richard Harrison, famously known as Old Man on Pond Stars died yesterday.
Starting point is 01:30:32 He passed away surrounded by those he loved. He said, I will watch Pond Stars 11 episodes in a row than not watching him for two years. And then I'll come out again and I'll just get into it. And I'm like, oh, you really know someone knows about 17th century swords? And they live's two blocks over? Wow. So, yeah, it's sad that the guy died. I don't really know much about him.
Starting point is 01:30:54 That didn't, because I don't watch that show when it's new, and I don't watch Shark Tank one at a time. But I will watch a Shark Tank Marathon. Shark Tank Marathon, Ponsar's Marathon, and the prison shows. Will they go talk to people in prison? Locked up. Yeah, locked up. Those are the ones you just binge. You're like, okay, I'm in.
Starting point is 01:31:09 I've got nothing better to do, so I'll watch this. Apple is planning high-end AirPods and over-ear headphones in 2019. You know what didn't work? Was that the Apple Alexa? Oh, yeah. The home? The home pot. Whatever. Or is that Google Home? I don't know. Well, there's a lot of them. But the Apple one hasn't really taken yet. It's all about being first to market with technology.
Starting point is 01:31:32 And in most things. But yeah, being first to market. And Alexa was the first one. And not that it's the best, but I think the Google Home's pretty good. But Alexa wins because it was first. But Apple's going to throw some... I wear those AirPods sometimes. They're pretty good. They won't fall out of your ears. but they're not the best sounding, but they're pretty good. The Supreme Court will not hear the case of Brendan Dassey, the teen in Making a Murderer,
Starting point is 01:31:54 who if you watch the show, regardless of you know these documentarians, they'll tilt based on how they want you to see what they have. You know, that being said, you're not going to convince me that he was in a great condition to say what he said. I don't think it's a fair playing field. Yeah, looking back and watching the tape of him.
Starting point is 01:32:24 Yeah. I remember now. You go, oh, man, I don't think he really knew what was going on. I feel like, what do they say, coerced? I feel like he was a bit coerced into it. Like hours and hours of interrogation. So the Supreme Court won't hear it. Wow.
Starting point is 01:32:39 I don't know why they won't hear it. I don't know if they do normally hear it. It's probably only getting publicity because of the show making a murderer. Which, by the way, Stephen Avery's still in jail. I mean, they haven't turned over anything out of their way, so I guess he did it, huh? I guess so. They haven't unprovened it at this point. Just the documentaries on his size about it.
Starting point is 01:32:58 Yeah, so, yeah, that's all the stuff I was reading about this morning. How about you? See anything interesting to you? No, I'm still stuck on the fact that that documentary had me thinking that he was innocent. Oh, we were all watching Making a Murder. Like, we're ready to go fight for him. We're like, ah! There's going to be another Netflix.
Starting point is 01:33:14 right about it, like an update? Yeah, I think they're going to do it on the prosecution side. Are they really? Yeah, I remember reading something about that. Well, then we'll feel the opposite way when that's over. We're all so easily manipulated, and it's not because we're dumb. We're trained it to be manipulated. We only believe anything we know is only because we're taught.
Starting point is 01:33:35 That's why I personally would be a horrible juror. Whoever's presenting, I'm going to be like, oh, yeah, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. And then if defense gets up, I'm like, oh. Well, that's why the defense goes last. Interesting. You should, according to our rights, you have your shot at the end to have a dumb juror. So you should be able to win all this. I have Joe duty in like a week.
Starting point is 01:33:57 Oh, yeah. You know, yesterday was National Catfish Day. I remember the time I got Catfish by that model? Oh, yeah. It was a dude. Bree. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:08 So, listen, I'm on. Hey, Morgan number two. You ever heard this story? No, I haven't. Gather around kids. It's a good one. This is a terrible story. Gather around your radio.
Starting point is 01:34:17 Well, so what happened was this guest jeans model started messaging me. And I was like, hey, I like you. And I was like, oh, wow, this is cool. I never had a guest jeans model messaging before. So this got to be real. And so I'm in, right? Like I'm like, oh, wow, I can't believe somebody pretty likes me. That's how I was feeling in my head.
Starting point is 01:34:35 And so I sent a message. I'm like, wow, are you for real? And they're like, yeah. And so we send messages back. This is seven years ago. Okay. Not mature me now. I've fought for this and never tell you guys now. But so I'm talking to her and she's like, hey, I'm coming to town.
Starting point is 01:34:52 I was in Austin. She's like, I'm coming to town. My brother lives there. And I'm like, cool, cool, cool. And so I go and I tell the show, I say, hey, you guys aren't going to believe this. I met this girl online and lunch. And he looks at her once and goes, ain't no way she likes you. Correct.
Starting point is 01:35:08 And I was like, why not? Man, he goes, because she's too hot. she ain't real. And I'm like, what do you mean? It's a little bit. My pride was insulted. Yeah. So I'm like, no, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:35:17 So I keep talking. I come back and say, yeah, we talked all night. We talked for like an hour sometimes. I'm talking back and forth. And so then I was, I said, hey, why don't we get on Skype, you know, and see each other? She's like, okay, great. So we get on Skype and I connect and you can see me, but her, something's wrong with her camera and it won't connect.
Starting point is 01:35:35 And so what she said, oh, you like that, huh? Classic tale. It didn't work. It's just a dark screen. And so I'm like, well, I guess your camera's broken. We can just talk anyway. So we have an actual conversation over Skype and we talk to each other for like 30 or 40 minutes. It was fantastic.
Starting point is 01:35:52 It was a great conversation. And so I tell lunchbox and Amy and, you know, Amy doesn't know. She's kind of like, ooh, she's being. I don't want to doubt that. I mean, I think a pretty girl could be. Like some guest models just going to randomly hit up Bobby. So this is what I'm dealing with every day, right? And listeners are starting to chime in.
Starting point is 01:36:10 We know her name. She was a guest named Brie Condon, and so we know who she is. But I just wouldn't get connected. And so finally I said, she was coming to town. I said, hey, why don't you call into the show? She called the show. Do you want to hear the club? Yeah, I do. So this is her calling into the show, literally. This is audio from seven years ago. But we have her on the phone now. She's supposed to be coming into town tonight. Hello, Bree. Hi.
Starting point is 01:36:34 How's it going? I'm fine. How are you? I'm good. How come when the other day you said you could web, cam that night and you happened to be at a different apartment where there wasn't a webcam. What happened? I got on my webcam or tried to the next day. It's built into my computer thing. So I always had one. You can tell by this, this is Bobby Live, by the way, that lunchbox does not believe it. And he's aggressively like, this is crap. So we talked to her
Starting point is 01:37:02 and she's on the air for 20 minutes, right? Brie, go over some of your resume with us. You were a model for guest jeans, correct? Yes, for guess. Okay, guess. You want me to go down the list? Yeah, just real quick. Go down the list for us. Um, oh, God.
Starting point is 01:37:18 Right now I model for Venus firmware. And... Venus firmware. So, Morgan number two. You know, say what you will, but I'm in, right? Yeah. It'd been a long time. I'd been on, you know, woe is me.
Starting point is 01:37:32 And I'm like, well, I can't believe somebody pretty likes me. And so she was going to come to the studio that morning. And she just didn't show up. And we're like, well, I'm wondering what I'm wondering what? happened? Because she ain't real. Like, well, no, we talked to her on the air. Smash cut. Three months later? Probably, yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:48 Somebody walks in and goes, hey, here's this. I get a piece of paper. There was a dude who was impersonating Brie Condon. That's a dude's voice. What? And he lived in our town, and they busted him, and he had been conning people. Out of money. And I told the show, I didn't send him much.
Starting point is 01:38:08 Wait, you did say her money? No, no, no, no, it's a him. It was a him, but not, it's a really. And no, Bobby, he's joking. But, um, it was a dude. I get catfished, hard. Her voice does sound, like, kind of distorted, a little, like. Come on.
Starting point is 01:38:22 Yeah, we thought she was, like, drunk. Yeah, yeah. Can you tell me how you ended up messaging me? Yeah, please tell me how you picked Bobby out of everybody on MySpace to you. And you skipped over lunchbox. No, not even the lunchbox thing. How did you pick Bobby out of him? Lunchbox is jealous.
Starting point is 01:38:39 and he's giving me so much crack over everything so you're like a jam. Why? How did you find Bobby out of all the millions of people on MySpace? How did you find... Myspace, by the while. It may be more than seven years ago. Bobby.
Starting point is 01:38:54 Because you've been on my friend's list forever. Why? How did you add him to your friends list? I mean, lunchbox is going hard. Listen to her voice. No, we get it now. We get it now. It's beautiful enough to be a guest model. We get it now.
Starting point is 01:39:05 In hindsight. No, I was on it from the beginning. Did you ever apologize to lunchbox? I told her, you were right. Thanks for him. It wasn't a... No, no, there was not having... I think it was just jealous.
Starting point is 01:39:14 No, there's no jealousy. There was no chance to this model. He was jealous the dude didn't catfish him is what I think. Freak condon. But isn't that kind of crazy? That's crazy. Lunchbox sent me the ABC News article. Do you see it?
Starting point is 01:39:25 Yeah, about how the guy got a lot of people and like $10,000 from somebody. Tiny guy. I'm so glad you didn't give him money. Yeah, we did hook up once, though. Whatever. What's up, Pam? You're joking again. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:40 Just clarifying. No, he ain't. He ain't joking. So to celebrate National Catfish Day, that's my story of getting catfish. It's a tough one. I get why you're scared of dating apps now. I'd be too. I get that.
Starting point is 01:39:53 That's out there. What else is out there on dating apps? People crazy. Okay. There you go. Non-beautiful. Oh, wow, wow. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 01:40:02 The Bobby Bones show. Let's go over to Amy. If she were the news director, this would be what would be on the news. He's like, okay, here comes to five o'clock news. Oh, wow. And here's your anchor, Amy. The Bible Ball Show. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:40:15 Scientists are trying to curb food cravings in people by zapping their brains with magnets. What? Wow. I would maybe volunteer for this just to see. They said that they had some success with the process, and they think that it has something to do with changing the way the brain is wired. By short-circuiting the brain, people don't crave food and seek the short-term reward that eating provides.
Starting point is 01:40:38 Now, I know this seems a little nutty and you go, what? But really, aren't the moon's magnets anyway? And aren't we inside more of a macro magnet? Whoa, that's deep. Gravity's a magnet. Yes, absolutely. That's my point with this.
Starting point is 01:40:50 Is that we're going, oh, I can't believe that would happen. We're shocking ourselves with a magnet. But really, we're all part of a big magnet anyway. The moon is a magnet? Yeah, man. It's all magnet. We're all magnets. I don't know that.
Starting point is 01:41:02 All right. What else? Okay, so if you're ever in an airport, something you might see pop up in there are these nap pods where you can like crawl into the pod. Well you swipe your card. It's got a little thing.
Starting point is 01:41:13 You swipe your card. You crawl into the nap pod and watch Netflix. That's going to need to have one of those where you tear it away after you're done. Oh, like a hospital bed. I knew you were going to bring up something about germs. Yeah. Because you know people are in there like peeing
Starting point is 01:41:26 and like doing stuff to themselves. Well, it does say you have total privacy and comfort while enjoying a touchscreen monitor. Air conditioning. It's all subjective. Ooh, mood lighting. All designed to reduce stress. People are going to be getting in that...
Starting point is 01:41:40 Oh, yeah. Club. What? No, one person at a time. Yeah. What else? It says, they even pump air that eliminates 100% of unpleasant smells. Because it will definitely have them. I always like those planes.
Starting point is 01:41:55 You read on the news, like on an ABC or something, I go, flight diverted because of odor. And I'm going, man, what if it was you... Like, what if your stomach just hurt? And you couldn't stop farting. Oh, I feel like a lot of times. that there must have been something that happened in the laboratory. Like the bathroom?
Starting point is 01:42:11 I feel bad for that person. I've done it before. What? It's the best place to do it. Like if you have to go, like a to... It's 30,000 feet? Well, no, because no one knows who it is. There's so many people in an airplane.
Starting point is 01:42:21 But if it's so bad that the plane's turning around, you probably know. There's so much going on in your body because, like, think about it. The air pressure, your organs are expanding and all that stuff. That if you have to do that, I mean, my husband said that, And pilot, he's a pilot, like, they're trained to release. Like, it's really bad for your body to hold stuff in. Yeah. So just let it go.
Starting point is 01:42:43 I don't know. That's what they say. But if you're turning an airplane around, like, if it's costing money. That's a bad one. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What was I talking about? Oh, oh, okay. Now, stress, stress.
Starting point is 01:42:54 Companies are doing something really cool with these groups, one in particular called pet partners, which is a nonprofit that will take dogs into workplaces. But say you've got, you know, a bunch of people around the office and you're kind of to feel in the stress, you should bring puppies in. And workers say that after they get some puppy playtime, they go back to their desks, feeling more relaxed, less stressed, and, dun-da-da-da, more productive. I was reading a story, I retweeted it yesterday about Mark Cuban and Bill Gates, how they hate meetings. They don't like getting everybody in a room and having meetings. Yeah, I've heard too, they're a waste of time to those people. That's why we don't have meetings. I feel like they're
Starting point is 01:43:30 super waste of time. You're right. We legit. I think in all these years, Maybe we've had... Maybe five. Maybe as a whole group. Sometimes we have to have one-on-ones. That makes sense. Yeah, yeah, I'll be like, hey, come in. This is the issue.
Starting point is 01:43:42 How are we going to fix it? All right, let's go. I just feel like it's a waste of time. I've always felt that way. And I would go to these dumb morning show things and we're like, you should have a meeting every day after your show. Oh, some do, yeah, every day. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:54 Yeah. Some girls don't like boys like me, you know. But some girls do. That's right. Yeah. So instead of meetings, like, have play dates with play dates with boys. puppies? You going to get a puppy for your dog, for your kid? Oh, we're looking. I mean, we are actively looking and Kathy, who works here at our office, she rescues dogs, so I've kind of got
Starting point is 01:44:15 her on the lookout and we've looked at dogs. I mean, I don't know. My kids, they really, really want one. But I just need them to understand the responsibility. They're not going to understand right now. They're from a foreign country six months ago. They're seven and 11. They just want to pet a puppy right now. That's why I haven't just like gotten it. But you're going to. You're in the mode where you're going to see one day. My husband and I would also. like a dog. Then you got it. I'm not saying you should.
Starting point is 01:44:37 But I also need to remind myself of the responsibility. Yeah, that's where we're going. You have to remind yourself. Right. Okay. Yeah. Is that it?
Starting point is 01:44:46 Maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. The Bobby Bone Show. What are you doing today the rest of Tuesday? Sort of just getting some stuff together. I got to go to Austin. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:59 Oh, that's right. Yeah. Like family stuff, huh? Yeah. You on today? Tonight. Yeah. So I'll be working from.
Starting point is 01:45:05 there tomorrow. I didn't know that. Yeah. I think we've got an engineer set up, or I'll be running the buttons myself and we'll figure it out. Oh, that won't happen. No, no, no, no. That definitely won't happen. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:45:18 Yeah, yeah. Okay, you'll be there tomorrow. Yes. Technology really is cool. It's amazing. Because a lot of times, I just do the show from other cities if I'm traveling around for work. And we don't share with our listeners like because it doesn't matter. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:31 We don't have to paint that extra picture of, hey, by the way, I'm in Zimbabwe. Wyoming's in Nashville, you know. Yeah, nobody needs to know. It's not that we're hiding it. No. We do something called the post-show pre-show, which when the show's over, we go and we do more show that you don't get to here on the radio. We talk about it.
Starting point is 01:45:45 That's the kind of secondary stuff we talk about there. Right. There's no point in addressing it every five minutes. Which is what we're doing now. We're taking five minutes addressing it. Oh, sorry. Well, yeah. So I'm going to be packing because straight from there, then we'll go, I'll be in Austin for
Starting point is 01:45:58 for a while and then go to Colorado. I just have a lot to pack. Sky High in Colorado. When I drink tequila. That song is so good. Always been the jam. But yesterday when we played the clip of Dan and Shea, they were playing at like a festival in Iowa,
Starting point is 01:46:16 and they walk out. And they just start singing to the crowd. And the crowd sings. And this is cool. Wait to the chorus. For people also that are good, they get like good folks. Yep.
Starting point is 01:46:59 And they're super talented and they work so hard. And there are a lot of people work hard. There's also good people. Today, like they're like, I'm, Chills. It's emotional. It's emotional. And we didn't even write that.
Starting point is 01:47:14 No, we have nothing to do with that. I have a friend who wrote that song, right? And not even at Dan & Schaer, but also was the songwriter. And now I texted him. I was like, you're going to be so rich from that song. So rich. So rich. Amazing.
Starting point is 01:47:25 So, yeah, good on them. Let's see. Today, I get to go to the gym today for the first time in a long time. Nice. So I'm going to go box. And we posted a Brett Eldridge Bobbycast last night. It's really good, by the way. But High Valley's coming by.
Starting point is 01:47:41 won't post that for a few days, but I'm doing High Valley at the house tonight. Both? Cool. Both of them. Yeah, they have mics now. Yeah, now we have both of them. Two mics.
Starting point is 01:47:49 It's the first time we've ever done a two mic, Bobby Cash. We've been waiting on High Valley for this reason because we've told them forever. So, yeah, listen to the Brett Elders win. There'll be up this week. High Valley go up next week. But that's what I'm doing later.
Starting point is 01:48:00 You know me, just working. Always working. Always trying to get ahead. I know. Last night, obviously, we were both invited to the same birthday dinner. I'm like, hey, well, I see you there. He's like, no, got to work.
Starting point is 01:48:10 I was like, okay. Yeah, got to work. Gotta get my lucky charms, you know what I'm saying? Try to get my marshmallows. Right now I'm eating all the oats. Then later. Then later when I'm like 91 and I'm not even going to walk. I'm like, get my marshmallows.
