Starting point is 00:02:50 All right. The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. My dog just got. at home, walked down with a big old cone around his head. They had to do an x-ray on his cheek because it's been growing out. It's like, I don't know what's in it. But then he also has something wrong with his wiener. So he has a stitch in his wiener, a cone on his head, and he's like half drunk.
Starting point is 00:03:08 And so we wait 24 hours now to see if he has to go on for surgery again. So that's what just happened. I just walked downstairs after the show, and he's down there with a big old cone, like just stumbling around all over the place. Hey, we should do our draft update because we don't get to it in this show. I gotta be honest, I don't even look at the results. I don't even think I posted vote for me. Everything's off a little bit.
Starting point is 00:03:31 But Mike D, do you have the results of it there? Pulling them up right now. Okay. So we'll get a draft update. Raymondo, if you want to grab that little audio stinger, we'll do that as well. Ramundo, how you doing? Let's go. Doing Bueno.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Yeah, I see. Is that a new necklace, a new chain? Oh, yeah, yeah. I broke out the cross necklace. I've actually been feeling it a lot lately, so I've been wearing it wherever I go. Yeah? Why you've been feeling it? I mean, dude, it's just a weird. I mean, I'm a Christian. I totally believe in God. And this is a time in our
Starting point is 00:04:03 nation, man. It's like, you better believe in something because this whole thing could just end any day. So I got my faith, man. I got my necklace on right now. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I couldn't see the cross. It just like a big chain from how I'm looking at you. Oh, I wish it could be even bigger than this. But fiancé said, eh, just keep it. Don't get too gaudy. She goes, you're never going to go around my parents. So they're going to kill you. Yeah, dude, you should do one of those. What was the guy's name? Flava.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Flav, that's his name. I'm about to do my impression of him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, Ray Mundo, hit me with that imaging. Let's go. The Bobby Bones Show. Draft Update. Well, first of all, in last place, much as I predicted,
Starting point is 00:04:46 and another $5 to me is... Whoa, whoa, no one agreed to that. I believe you did. Is Eddie, who... finish last place again. Eddie, you can never win the competition if you keep finishing last and getting eliminated from the next one. I understand.
Starting point is 00:05:04 I guess I really just don't know how to play this game. I don't, I really, every time I make a pick, I'm like, I feel very confident. Well, it wasn't even close. I mean, you got 4%. Yeah, you got 4%. You had Ellen, our category was famous blondes, favorite blondes. Ellen, Dirk's Bentley, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Which was Eddie.
Starting point is 00:05:25 I mean, looking back at it, it's not very good. Morgan number two crushed everybody. She had Marilyn Monroe, which I thought was a little too dated. I guess that's why she's the champ, overall champ, and I'm not. Reese Witherspoon and Madonna, so Morgan number two wins again. Where does that put her? I know I was in the lead. Is she tied now?
Starting point is 00:05:42 I think she's tied now. Great. Great. How is she? Oh, I hear her on the phone now. Hey, Morgan, do you hear you won the draft? Yeah, I heard. I told you guys so.
Starting point is 00:05:54 you guys gave me a hard time for my pick. And I said, I guess I'm wrong and I missed it. Actually, what you said was, you gave me a grubb. Yeah, she's not tied with you. She's now tied with me? Does anyone have a win other than Morgan, myself, and lunchbox? Nope.
Starting point is 00:06:12 You guys have four. Lunchbox has three. Amy doesn't have a win. Eddie doesn't have a win. Ramundo doesn't have a win. What do you think the holdup is, Amy? I have no idea. I haven't figured out this whole draft thing.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I thought I had listeners that liked me. I don't know. I don't know. How does the voting work? Because I feel like I have good things, and then I'm not getting votes. So I don't know how to play this game. I think we all feel like we have good things.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Even Eddie. And Eddie's the worst. Correct. Eddie plays every other day, basically. Every two weeks, Eddie gets in a game. He's like the guy who plays pickup basketball that only gets in when there's an odd number. They're like, oh, great.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Yeah, we'll take a little Eddie over there. A dental receptionist claims the boss did shots, ate pot brownies on the job. Do you see this, Amy? No. A former dental receptionist says the office she worked out used a ton of drugs.
Starting point is 00:07:12 She claimed that her boss not only did shots but ate pot brownies while he was on the job. In the lawsuit, she claims that he also pushed those drugs onto his employees. Man, can you imagine going to get your teeth done? Your dentist is all whacked out of their school. Imagine going through a dentist where everybody's just whacked. That's what a former receptionist is claiming in a lawsuit
Starting point is 00:07:31 that she's filed against her employer. She says she saw the dentist drink hard liquor out of dental cups, eat marijuana jello shots, and pot brownies while on the job. I mean, sounds like a party, though. Don't get me wrong. Just would rather that party not happen while I'm getting my teeth done. A guy sends an engagement ring into space, to pop the question.
Starting point is 00:07:57 A man proposed to his long-time girlfriend by sending her engagement ring into space and impressing her with the footage. What do you think about that? So, what, he sent it with some astronauts? A couple who shares a passion for space has gotten engaged with a ring that's been out of this world.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Yes, it came back, I assume. Oh, cool. Cool. Cool. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, that's cool. He used footage of the sparkler in its little blue box to pop the question to his longtime love,
Starting point is 00:08:26 Becky Dixon. After a year of planning, the Tiffany ring inside its open little blue box was fired 100,000 feet above Earth. Footage shows the sparkler soaring as the sun's rays hit it and makes its way through space. Yeah, it cost him a little over $3,000. The flight just flew it up there. What do you think about that? I mean, I guess if they're really into space and he gets to say out of this world, that part's cool. That's interesting. And if you have extra money like that. I'm looking at it now. Wow, that's pretty cool. They open it up. It's like on a little pedestal, and it's a YouTube video, and he's like, will you marry me? That is pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:08:59 And then... Now that I see it. I guess you just have to trust it's going to make its way back, you know? I think it comes back. Because it's not going up there. It's not going up there with a person. They're shooting it up there in some little... Yeah, like it takes off.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Thing? Yeah. Wow. That's crazy. Probably get insurance or something. Must have been more on insurance than I end that ring. Probably if you're shooting it up on a freaking zoo... Well, I mean...
Starting point is 00:09:25 Or money, if it's a Tiffany's ring and he has extra money to take it to space, money's probably not a thing. All right, we're done. I can tell Amy's done because she's kicked up, got her legs up on the wall. You can tell she's done with the show. No, I've been kind of chilling like this almost the whole time. I like it. Yeah. All right, we're done.

Starting point is 00:14:17 Morning, studio. Morning. Thank you. I was reading a story about cleaning and eating, and it's like, are you supposed to clean your fruit with soap? Amy, what do you think they say about cleaning your fruit with soap? I don't think you use soap, but I know they have special fruit and vegetables. vegetable wash that you can get, but I just use a lot of water. Is that okay? And maybe vinegar? Current recommendations by the FDA and the USDA say to wash fresh fruits and vegetables and cold
Starting point is 00:14:48 water with absolutely no soap because it can make you sick. But people, because of corona, are going, well, let's double it up. We're going to wash it and we're going to wash it with soap. But they're saying, hey, the soap will actually hurt you. So you can get sick off the soap too. So just a little early morning, the more you know. There you go. Well, let's see what's happening in everybody's life with our segment called What's the Haps. Hey. Hey, what's the Hats?
Starting point is 00:15:14 Amy, what's happening with you? So my kids have been really into jumping out and scaring us lately. I don't know. It's their new activity. They hide behind the shower, behind the door, wherever we come around. They just want to jump out and scare us. And they got me big time when I was in the kitchen and I was carrying a plate of food. and they came around the corner and scared me and the plate dropped to the floor.
Starting point is 00:15:37 It broke food everywhere. So I really need my kids to have a new activity. Well, did you get mad when that happened? No, we laughed it off. I can't, no, I don't have energy to get mad at something like that. Maybe before all of this, that would have just frustrated me because it's food wasted and a plate broken. But at this point, no. It's like, okay, that was fun for about.
Starting point is 00:16:02 a minute for y'all i mean of course they died laughing they loved it they thought it was amazing so i wanted them to have their moment but now i just i told them okay y'all got me that's the ultimate goal you've scared me to like that's that's your goal you achieved it now move on to find something else get a new goal food on the floor that's the ultimate that's the pinnacle of scary yeah i mean the only thing you can do more is someone throw a baby like they're carrying a baby and you scared um and they go ah other than that the food is the ultimate when it comes to scared Yeah, so I tried to treat it. Like, y'all just reached the highest of the high.
Starting point is 00:16:36 There's no more scaring beyond this. You need something else. But no, I didn't get mad. You congratulated them. No room for that. Congratulations, kids. All right, that's what's up with Amy. Let's go over to me.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Hey. Hey, what's the hatch? I mean, I guess I'll put this over to you because Caitlin and I now have a pretty much a quid pro quo on movies, which is she'll watch something with me that she doesn't like. because I do like it, and then I'll watch something with her that she likes that I probably won't like. It's just kind of a tit for tat, will you? And so, like, she watched the Zizi Top documentary with me on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:17:15 She has no interest in ZZ Top. She wasn't even born until 92. And so she doesn't care about Zizi Top. But she watched it and she got through it. She goes, okay, well, it's my turn. Now we're going to watch. She likes this documentary about improv comedy called Trust Us. We made this all up.
Starting point is 00:17:32 And it's fine. I probably feel the same way about it that she did mine. Like she doesn't dislike ZZTOP documentary. And it's fine to me, this one so far. But do you guys do that in your house? Yeah. I say we trade off. I watched, what did I watch with my husband the other day?
Starting point is 00:17:48 I wasn't that into the McMillions. What's that documentary about the McDonald's? Yeah. Okay, so episode one, they got me and I was kind of interested. And then now we're a few episodes in and it's not really my thing. but my husband's really into it. So I watch it with him, hoping that whatever I want
Starting point is 00:18:08 in the next few days or something will come up. Or maybe if it's not even TV shows, it'll be like, hey, if you want this, like if you massage my back. Oh, we do that too. I'll give you that. I'll get foot rubs in exchange for arm scratches because I love foot rubs.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Oh, my goodness. It's like an ice cream Sunday on top of a Chicago Cubs freshly mowed field on top of the set of late show with David Letterman on top of Arkansas Razorback football. That's what a foot rub is to me. Like all my favorite things right there. We'll just love it so much. And she has this thing about how she likes to have her arm scratch.
Starting point is 00:18:50 So we'll trade that out too. But do you ever just go away and go watch your own movie by yourself? Well, I'm trying to think about life pre-quarantine. Back in the early 2020. Pre-corona. Let's see. Yeah. I mean, we have our own things.
Starting point is 00:19:11 I think it was mostly whenever sports or football will be or golf or something. Like he'll have that and I'll just go retreat and watch. But you know what? I feel like I'm going to have a new appreciation for sports if they ever do return to where maybe I will watch him with him. Yeah, for like one day and then you'll be over it. Yeah. I had that thought the other day when we were watching some golf tournament from two years ago. And I was like, why is this on? Why are we watching this? So I was like, I went some live sports.
Starting point is 00:19:45 All right. Let's go over. That's what's happening with me. Let's go over the lunchbox. Hey. Hey, what's the hatch? I need the mailman to get on board with this whole coronavirus and doing some safety things. Because in my neighborhood, they walk, you know, so they walk the neighborhood. They walk up to your mailbox. And the past couple days, I've been in the front yard, and he comes walking into the yard to hand me the mail.
Starting point is 00:20:06 And I'm like, yo, dude, just drop it. Drop it right there. Just throw it on the ground because he has no gloves. He has no masks. And I don't understand that they, so they're touching everybody's mailbox. Everybody's mail. And he's just trying to walk up and hand it to me. He has to understand that we can't get that close.
Starting point is 00:20:21 So I just let him throw it on the front lawn and I just leave it laying there for a couple hours. Did you yell that to him? Throw it down? Yeah, I said, drop it. Drop it. It just drop it right there and he goes, drop it. I said, yeah, just throw the mail on the ground, man.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Like, I don't even touch. I do think it's weird that someone who is out with a lot of people isn't adhering to the rules or isn't caring about it for themselves. So that's strange to me that the mailman's not wearing a mask and gloves and is still going up to people. But it sounds like you got a good mailman. So when this is all over, he's still going to be an excellent mailman, right? Yeah, he's a great guy. I mean, he's a really nice guy. You know, he's cool.
Starting point is 00:20:56 and it's just, I mean, I don't need you walking up in my yard and handing me the mail. Just, you know, toss it on the front lawn if I'm out there and I'll pick it up later. It's cool. All right. That's what's happened on lunchbox. Let's go over to Eddie. Hey. So a few weeks ago, you know, Bobby was talking about how Caitlin went to the store and came back
Starting point is 00:21:14 with a basketball goal. And I was like, that's a pretty good idea. And she even texted me about it. Do you think Bobby would like this? I said, totally, you should get it. Well, last week when I went by Bobby's place to go drop off his birthday gift, I saw it on the side of his house disassembled in pieces on the ground still. And I'm thinking I have a little proposition for you, Bones.
Starting point is 00:21:34 And I don't know what is. Did you, have you worked on in the last couple of days? No, I'm not done. Okay. So I'm thinking maybe Friday or Saturday after work or Friday after work or maybe sometime in the weekend, I can take my son and we can go assemble it for you. That'll be part of your birthday gift. Nice.
Starting point is 00:21:51 That I'm into. Let's do that. Yeah. Yeah, don't tell her, though. This is, let's just, that part of my. extra part is you don't tell her. Oh my gosh. What? So you want to be, you want, you want Eddie to come and do it and then you wanted to be magically done and you pretend like you did it? I mean, don't be ridiculous. What I want to do, nothing's magical. What I want to do is be like, hey,
Starting point is 00:22:11 I'll just walk back in because she works outside because it's been so nice. So like an hour and a half, I just walk back there and be like, pay no attention to the goal that's been put together beside the house. And it just kind of take credit for it a little bit, but not say it was me just be like, I don't know how I got up there. Oh, interesting. Eddie, would you put it together? And it really has the clincher for the birthday, not tell. I could do that.
Starting point is 00:22:35 You would have to get the manual or whatever, the instruction booklet to me. You have it? Have it all. Okay, then get that to me. We can do it without her knowing. I'll just lay it out there by the goal. Just let me know. You know, but kind of like a gardener does sometimes when working outside,
Starting point is 00:22:48 would you leave us like a jug of water or something or lemonade, maybe? You're driving from your house. You can put it. I don't, I'm not going to the store. If you want to do it, Eddie, I would appreciate it. And if you made a pinmo, you're like $10, I will. No, no, no, it would be part of your birthday. I'll be happy to do it.
Starting point is 00:23:03 I appreciate it. And I'm not supposed to come out and talk to you guys, right? Correct. You're not even to know I'm there. Okay, there we go. But a little jug of lemonade would be nice. Thank you, Eddie. That's what's the haps with us here this morning on the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:23:16 You guys can always leave us voicemails. It's the same thing as our studio number. It's just when we're not in the studio. So it's 8-7-6. 77 Bobby, leave us a voicemail. Here's one from Debbie in Chicago. Hi, Bobby, hi, studio. I was listening this morning.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Today is four, five, 2020, and I always listen to your 30 countdown. And I only got to four. And I had to get out of my car so I couldn't listen. Is Kane Brown number one this week for four weeks in a row, or who actually is number one for this day? That's all I really want to know. Love you guys.
Starting point is 00:23:52 Thank you. Bye. Okay. and I get a lot, like what ended up being number one on the countdown. Kane Brown dropped to number two this week, and the new number one song is Jake going homesick. Turn it up, Raymond Doe. Homemade.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Oh, it says homesick. It says homesick on my sheet, but Kane Brown's song was homesick, right? Right, right, right. But it does say homesick written here. Eddie, nice job. Yeah, good catch. Here is a voicemail from Scott. Hey, Bobby, and morning studio. Just a comment for Raimundo. I know he bet a thousand dollars on Trump being president. I'd like to find out who his contacts are for betting, as I would like to bet a thousand dollars on Bobby becoming governor of Arkansas. I think that would be a very lucrative bet. Anyway, appreciate you guys.
Starting point is 00:24:49 All right. Ramundo, you don't really have any context, right? Didn't you use a, uh, uh, a betting website you still haven't been paid for? Correct. Yeah, that was sports book. That's the one I had trouble with, so I wouldn't recommend that one. But that isn't even an option right now to bet that. I love that, though. And I can always propose that to these websites, and they'll then add it. That's what I did with Dancing with the Stars.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Wait, you can propose that they put odds on me to run for Governor of Arkansas? Absolutely. And then they give it to their bookmaker, and they either deny it or accept it. And most of the ones I've sent to them, they'll end up going with, case and point, dancing with the Stars, forever, for months they did it. and it was awesome. Okay, so send them that. Okay, I need other candidates.
Starting point is 00:25:26 I need some knowledge on this, but yes, as long as I have a decent case, they will, anything and anything, they are open to a lot when it comes to betting. Well, it can just be yes or no. Like, will he, uh, yes plus 400, you know? Yeah, and it's probably going to be, it's just something like, it's in the next four years or something like that. It wouldn't be this year because that's an obvious no. It wouldn't be next year.
Starting point is 00:25:49 No, so something like that, I'm guessing. Okay. Well, let us know how that goes. Here's another one from somebody who didn't leave their name. Go ahead. Hi, Bobby. I was calling because I would like an update on Scotty West. I wanted to know if his house is completed and if he was able to move in and how he was doing.
Starting point is 00:26:07 And shout out O-Town, by the way. All right. Thank you. Love you guys. Amy, you want to talk about Scotty West for a second because he lost both of his legs in fighting for our country and we as a show built in a house. And the latest of it is? Yes, I think the moving day is May 15th. And we were actually invited.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Well, this is before coronavirus started to go down. There was a big ribbon cutting for it on May 15th that we were thinking about going to in Arkansas. But I don't know that that will be possible anymore. But yeah, like he's going to be moving into his home very, very soon. And that's all because of building homes for heroes and pimp and joy. So that's super cool. Yeah, that's all you guys listen to the show.
Starting point is 00:26:54 If you're new and you don't know what other one of those are, that's you guys listening to the show. Here is Ashley. One more voicemail. Hi, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:27:01 My name is Ashley. I was wondering if I could get an update on you made a trade with somebody and he was going to send you from sanitizer and you were going to send him
Starting point is 00:27:12 a signed copy of your book. So I was curious if you ever got the sanitizer from him. All right. Thank you. Love your show and I hope you are just staying healthy. All right, thanks, Ashley.
Starting point is 00:27:22 I did send the book. Hey, Scova Steve, our executive producer, do I have the sanitizer at the office? It just came in on Friday, so we do have two bottles of sanitizer. Okay, and just send it with Eddie because Eddie's going to come to come to do a basketball goal tomorrow,
Starting point is 00:27:36 or I guess at the end of the week. This weekend, this weekend. Because I'm not going up to the studio anytime soon. All right, thank you guys for the voicemails. APUS.com.com.com.E.com You know, sometimes I like to hop on the air and be the historian. And this is a segment that we call Bobby the Historian.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Here we go. Bobby the Historian. Thank you. Today's National Beer Day. I'm going to give you some historical facts about beer. First of all, the top five selling beers in America. Amy, what do you think number one is? Bud Light.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Nice. It is number one. Wow, look at you. What's number two? I'm going between Miller light and Coors light. What are you going to go with? Miller. Ooh, Coors is it two, Miller's at three. Wow.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Oh, but see, Miller would be number one for me, but I should, my dad would always tell me Coors comes first. Most have to say, hey, little girl, don't drink. Not her dad. No, her dad was always like, hey. No, hey, kid. You know you're going to second grade, but I don't care what those teachers tell you, Cores comes first.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Number four is Budweiser. Number five is Mickelope Ultra. Oh, yeah. And number one million and 13 is Corona. Dead last. Like, this is so weird right now. I don't know why if it's, you're just talking about it or I just, this is just life right now. But a beer just sounds so good to me right now.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Let's drink one. Yeah, it's probably like. Do you even have a beer at your house, Amy? No. No, I can't even tell you the last time I had a beer. But right now, Mickelope Ultra or Miller Light, that just sounds good. Refreshing. Well, I've never tasted beer. So this is a historical segment that I know nothing about. Doctors had a medical loophole during Prohibition. So for 13 years, think about this. In the United States, there was a ban on alcohol, period. That's what Prohibition was. No alcohol. And so medical professionals said, hey, let us prescribe for medicinal purposes when it's illegal.
Starting point is 00:34:26 What does that sound like today, Amy? Marijuana. Yes. Thousands of doctors and pharmacists got official licenses and created a side gig. There were still limits on how much a patient could get one pint every 10 days. So speaking of my dad, remember when he went to jail in Saudi Arabia? Mm-hmm. So he got arrested.
Starting point is 00:34:47 he was opening an ice cream shop there and they were importing vanilla extract, which has alcohol in it. So when they saw the ingredients at the port that it had alcohol, they immediately took him to Saudi Arabia in jail, which is definitely a place you do not want to be. But he got a doctor in Saudi Arabia to bail him out and then write him a prescription for the vanilla extract
Starting point is 00:35:08 and then they were allowed to sell it. You know, Amy Barry's the lead of that story in a lot of ways because just the fact that her dad was opening an ice cream shop in Saudi Arabia, maybe a bigger story. That's strange. Like just a weird... Yeah, if people ever remember a Swenson's ice cream, they were doing a franchise all the way over in Saudi Arabia.
Starting point is 00:35:28 And your dad raised his hand to go? I guess so. I mean, he just thought... That episode of Friends were Chandler's asleep. And she's like, all right, who wants to go to Tulsa? And then nobody... Everybody's like, no, no, no, no. And Chandler's asleep and goes, huh?
Starting point is 00:35:43 Yeah, yeah, yeah, me, me. And she's like, all right, you're moving to Tulsa. That's what her dad did. I mean, I wish I could ask him. I feel like if I asked him now, he would just not remember why. I asked him not too long ago how he met his first wife and he couldn't remember. So I don't know that he would remember. Amy, to be fair, I'm like 19 of them.
Starting point is 00:36:05 I know, but I still feel like you would remember where you met your first wife. So I'll try to ask him and find out how he got stuck going to Saudi Arabia. but he said he thought, he's like, it's genius. Why wouldn't you want to open an ice cream shop in one of the hottest places in the world? We'd sell a lot. In Tampa, not Saudi Arabia.
Starting point is 00:36:26 South Texas, yes. Southern California, not the middle freaking east. I can tell you, he had zero plans on getting arrested. And when he did, I think that was a low point in his life. The first beer can,
Starting point is 00:36:41 beer can started with a flat top design where you needed to puncture holes and two opposite sides of the top for the beer to pour out properly. It was just a standard cylinder. They were originally made from 10, then still, and then made from tall and then heavy, and then eventually in 1935 the can that we now know. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:37:00 And finally, the strongest beer has a 67.5% ABV. Eddie, what's ABV? Alcohol per volume, I don't know. Yeah, that's exactly what it is. Buy volume. Yeah, I didn't know that. the extremely boozy beer, which is called
Starting point is 00:37:18 Brewmeister snake venom. 67.5%. Amy, would you have one of those beers right now? Would that hit the spot? I don't know. Amy's like, I don't know why I feel this way. And I never feel this way, and I've never even heard of it.
Starting point is 00:37:34 But for some reason, I really feel like a venom eater right now. No, I don't know that that sounds really that great to me, but... That is Bobby the Historian. That was Bobby the historian. Nice. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:37:51 Boney of the day. This story comes with us from Massachusetts. A woman was at a local Walmart when she went to the checkout line with all her supplies. She had a bunch of Lysaw cleaner and the cashier was like, ma'am, you can only purchase two Lysol products. So she got upset, opened a bottle, and sprayed the cashier right in the eyes. Oh, man. Wow. I bet you she's a real treat to live with every day.
Starting point is 00:38:18 Wow. So what happened to her? She got arrested and EMS had to come and treat the cashier, but they don't say about any permanent damage. Yeah, I wouldn't think it'd be permanent, but that's just a bad person. Maybe she was having a bad day, but still, I know a lot of people that have bad days that still wouldn't do that. Oh, yeah. I have bad days all the time.
Starting point is 00:38:36 I can't think I would ever do that. I would never do that. Okay, is that it, Lunchbox? Yeah, I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. It's time for the game. Good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Geneva Wood is a 90-year-old woman in Washington that made a full recovery from the coronavirus, which is crazy at 90 years old. Yeah, but the thing is, she was living in a nursing facility where a lot of people got hit with a virus. 35 of the residents actually passed away from the virus, and doctors told Geneva, hey, I'm going to give you 24 hours because this is not looking good for you. Yeah, so what she did was call her family up and says, this is what the doctor said. Can you please bring me my favorite homemade soup? So they did.
Starting point is 00:39:16 They had soup. And a couple days later, the doctor came back and said, Geneva, you're going to make it. Apparently this virus is not going to get you. So you're going to make it. And they asked Geneva, what do you think got you through this? And she said, well, my family, God, and the homemade soup. Especially the suit.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Rock and roll, man. I love that story. Put that recipe. Wow, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me something good. You have some new rules for your kids at home, right? Yeah, well, we're starting to, I have a lot.
Starting point is 00:39:45 fully implemented it yet, but I want them to, it's like a reward system. They need to start earning screen time and treats or snacks, certain things they want to, they feel like they're home all the time and they're wanting to snack all the time and they need to earn it. Or they're wanting to watch TV like during different times and I want them to build a reward system. So I don't know if I should have like stickers or like a tangible token. And, you know, every time they do something like listen well or have good manners or finish a homework assignment, they get a certain amount of tokens or a certain amount of stickers and they can save them up and cash them in. But are you taking it away from them to let them earn it or do they not get it now and they can earn it?
Starting point is 00:40:33 Because it's going to be punishment. I know we just need a new system because they're here. They're just home way more, and it's just a lot. So I need to incentivize things. But there's no incentive on doing things to get what they already have. Okay, well, okay, then help me with this. It's more of the school thing that is an issue because when they're at school, they know that that's their job and they have to do it and turn it in, and it's not their parents giving
Starting point is 00:41:04 it to them. But when it's your parents giving you all the things all the time, it's just hard. So I need some sort of separation. Like if you do this assignment and you don't roll your eyes at me, then you get a sticker. Okay, here's what I would say. Or I would say that you list out the expectations of them already and what they're getting and what they're allowed. Like if you write out the schedule 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. We do this.
Starting point is 00:41:31 10 to 11. You do TV time from here to here. They can earn more. than anything you already have down by doing these things. Right. Okay. I see what you're saying because they already did get certain screen time and they are allowed food and snacks. But if they want their snack to be a certain type of treat. So they already get a snack, but it's like, what level of snack do you want?
Starting point is 00:41:54 Do you want carrots or do you want a little Debbie? Yeah, I wouldn't do anything. If you got carrot snacks, Amy, this is what you do. I give carrot snacks all the time. My kids love carrots. Just make grid out and be real intentional about what they're already getting and what their expectations are. And then if they go above and beyond or they meet whatever requirements, then they do get extra and level up. But I think that the baseline of your experiment with your kids is listing out everything that you expect of them each day and pretty much dictating their whole 24 hours.
Starting point is 00:42:26 Because if you have all their 24 hours already down and what they're allowed to do, they can earn extra on top of that. So that's what I would say. You put their whole schedule down in front of them. and say this is our schedule for the day, and then you incentivize certain areas of it. Okay, good. We'll have a family meeting about it. Let me know how it goes. I'll get the poster board or, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:42:46 Should I do stickers or tokens? You just give them carrots. Okay, here's one carrot for you. And we'll count the carrots at the end of the night, and whoever's got the most gets to eat them. Can you imagine Amy's a treat process? What? Do you know, by the way, little... You like it's miserable.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Little Debbie sent me a whole... box of every one of their cakes. Boom. Because I was talking about it on the show and I was talking about the ones I liked and didn't like. And so they hit me up on direct message and then sent me a big old box of every one of their treats, which I gave them all away almost immediately. But yeah, so shout out a little Debbie.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Thank you. Did they send you nutter butter? I didn't touch them because they are disgusting and I wanted to vomit. You know what I did? I claimed a toilet with them. If I'm just being honest. You did not. I know.
Starting point is 00:43:37 Hey, let's talk about food for a second because there was a story about people's favorite unusual food combinations. Now, we're not talking about frosting and fries because that's not unusual anymore. But like unusual food combinations, and I'll read you the top five back from this list because they had everybody submit in
Starting point is 00:43:55 on Twitter and Facebook. And number five was sourcrout and cheese. Oh. Never had it. Doesn't sound super appealing to me, but I would try that. At number four, peanut butter and apples. I do that all the time.
Starting point is 00:44:09 I don't like peanut butter, but Caitlin's been making me almond butter and apples, like slicing apples. So I can see where that will be good, depending on the butter that you like. Number three, chocolate and popcorn, which is awesome. And I never want to waste a full box of, like,
Starting point is 00:44:25 chocolate when I go to the movie theater. I haven't been to the movie theater forever. But some people just pour it in their popcorn bucket. But then you got hands all in there. But chocolate and popcorn at three, cottage cheese and fruit at two, which is a great one. When I was eating a lot of cottage cheese, I was doing that. And then number one is, which I don't think is crazy anymore,
Starting point is 00:44:44 but is French fries and chocolate milkshake. Okay, so we'll go around the room here. What is your favorite unusual food combo? I'll go first. I take nuts and I'll put them in a bowl and then I'll pour that Mama Chalula's hot sauce on them. What? Yeah, Lady Chalula.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Whatever it is. She looks like a mama on the bottle. And I'll pour that on it. And it is fantastic. I love nuts. I love Mama Chilula. I love Mama Chulula on my nuts. It is great.
Starting point is 00:45:18 So that's mine. Nuts and Mama Chilula. Eddie? Mine is going to have to be ranch and pizza. Like, I just love... Not weird. Judges. Not weird.
Starting point is 00:45:28 That's like so mainstream. Okay. All right. Well, then I'm not weird. Like, you are so mainstream. Cool guy. Amy? I like dipping pretzels in yogurt. You know, they should do something like a yogurt cover pretzel at some point.
Starting point is 00:45:43 That would be crazy. Not like that. You can buy them at the grocery store. I know. I know. It's in every gas station. Go ahead. mainstream.
Starting point is 00:45:54 But no. No, like having a vanilla-type yogurt, like an almond-based because I don't always do dairy. but I dip the pretzel into the yogurt and eat it like that. Right. I haven't seen anybody do that, to be fair. I haven't seen anyone dip the pretzel into the... And by the way, like, I think I'm God's gift to creating food combinations. I'm screaming at you guys.
Starting point is 00:46:17 That's not true. Lunchbox? I have avocado on cereal. What? Like, if you take weaties, because, I mean, if you just eat weaties plain, it's kind of gross. What is he talking about? Although that doesn't the criteria of weird food. And if you just put a slice of avocado on it, it gives it so much more taste and it's really good.
Starting point is 00:46:39 And cereal, huh? He needs a video of him eating this. I don't believe him. I'm talking like weed. I'm not talking like Lucky Charms because Lucky Charms has the sugar in the goodness and you don't need it. But I'm talking if you're eating like just a brand cereal like Wheaties or if you want just plain Cheerios, throw some avocado on top, delicious. With milk? To me is just not a food that goes with a sweet.
Starting point is 00:47:02 eat-ish breakfast thing. I can eat avocado with a scrambled egg, but also I didn't grow up with a lot of avocado. I didn't grow up with a lot of guic- I didn't even like guacamole until a few years ago.
Starting point is 00:47:15 But, okay, try it, lunchbox and make it a video. Okay, I'll make you a video. Next time I go to the grocery store, I'll get the supplies. What about is ketchup stirred into macaroni and cheese better? That's pretty disgusting.
Starting point is 00:47:27 That's an interesting one. That's pretty... Oh, it's so good. If you have not tried that, You need that in your life. Yeah, you should have come stronger with that. Then she's like, I got an idea. What we do is we take peanuts and cranberries and M&Ms.
Starting point is 00:47:41 We put them in the same bag and we shake it up. Wow. What are you talking about? It's trail mix. Okay, ranch with pizza. Yeah, Eddie. Eddie uses for you, don't you. Eddie's like, okay, I got, I got it.
Starting point is 00:48:00 Here's what we do. You go to the grocery store, right? You get you a, it's a bag of these blue things called chips to Hoy. You get some milk. You dip them together. Oh, you'll never understand. We're like, yeah, that's everybody. Well, okay, there you go.

And not just living, but just like all living. Like work at home. I might leave the house once a week. I go to the opera show.
Starting point is 00:52:00 That's about it. I went to the opera again this weekend. Lauren Elena and Ashley McBride and Terry Clark played. I hosted it. It was real good. But it's really the only time that I get out of my house. But I'm okay. Like I have my dog.
Starting point is 00:52:12 I have my girlfriend. You know, I do the show from my house. And I don't really need anything to boost me. But I was talking to Mike D who writes a lot of the games and writes a lot of these show ideas for us. Mike has a Christmas tree and he's put it up in his house to give him a little spirit, right Mike? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:28 What happened there? Well, it's just been me at the house and I needed a little something in the living room just kind of add like maybe something else is there so I pulled out my Christmas tree and put it up. It's been there for a few days now. Do you feel more festive with a tree there? It's kind of nice.
Starting point is 00:52:40 It kind of gives you that feeling of it being Christmas again, just kind of something happy to have around. And your girlfriend decided not to come up in quarantine with you. Is that still a sensitive spot? I mean, we're good now. We're finding ways to make it work. It doesn't feel as as sad as it was in the beginning. I think we're good. But you guys won't see each other at least for another month. Yeah, at least. So that'll be like two months. Yeah, that's about as long as we've gone before. And so, but she's done with
Starting point is 00:53:07 school now or no? No, she still has another year. And so she's still going to live in Austin for another year and go back and forth? Yeah. I mean, did this little wrinkle, did it cause you, did it cause a fight with you guys at first or no? A little bit just because we were both so uncertain and I wanted her to come here. Why did she stay again? Well, she was really concerned of if she had something and giving it to somebody else. But why would she not come up here and give it to you and that's okay? Well, then I'd give it other people.
Starting point is 00:53:40 It was at a time where they were just saying stay at home and she felt it was the responsible thing to do, to not travel. So now that she's been quarantined for 14 days, why don't she come up? I don't know. Does she have a car? Yeah. Would she drive up? Probably not.
Starting point is 00:53:55 Would you drive down and get her? It's a long way. I would. Yeah? 12 hours. I've done that drive a bunch. Yeah, I've done it. Drive down 12, spend the night, like on a Friday night.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Yeah. And drive back. I'm just throwing options out there. Would she do it? Yeah, I think she would if I wouldn't pick her up. I don't know. Maybe you run that buyer. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:14 What, Amy? I mean, yeah, it's just, it's a lot. It'll, I feel like, wasn't it too? She wanted to be near her parents and stuff too in case something went wrong. Yeah, if something happened, she could be close to them. She lived like 45 minutes away from them right now. But what was going to happen?
Starting point is 00:54:32 Somebody got sick or something happened. Did anyone get sick? No. Well, would you text her after the show and be like, hey, I'll come and get you and bring you up if you want to come up? Yeah. Is that weird? No?
Starting point is 00:54:44 Amy, why are you backing away from the microphone? Why is everybody looking to be so weird right now? Because I don't want to set it up for like, what if she just doesn't feel? I don't want Mike to get his feelings sort. If she's just, this is a very serious thing to, she comes up here. That's committing to so much unknown of she doesn't know when she's able to go back. She doesn't know. But wouldn't you rather be with your boyfriend if when you don't know what's going to happen?
Starting point is 00:55:04 Of course. Like I would think that would be the reason to come up here, the opposite of what you're saying. Okay. I would think what you're saying is the reason she would want to. come up here. There is so much unknown. I know, but they already made this decision. Now you're having a mask her again. And if she says no again, he's going to have to relive. He said it hurt his
Starting point is 00:55:22 feelings the first time. And now we're just reliving it again. Are you guys telling me? Can we just yes, we're just saying let it go and see what happens. And like we might be give it a month and it might be in a different place. And a month is nothing compared to they've been together a long time. They plan on being together
Starting point is 00:55:38 forever. So a month is nothing. But if you plan on being together forever, you got to, she has to come quarantine because this is the moment they can spend that time. They've never spent that long together consecutively. So this is the perfect time. I'm sorry, but if this is going to work, this has got to happen. How do you feel, Mike, how do you feel about all this conversation right now? I mean, there's not a doubt in my mind that we're going to work out eventually. No, no, but how do you feel about me bringing it back up? Well, when it happened so early on, there was a lot of uncertainty.
Starting point is 00:56:10 And I feel like now we maybe know a little bit more now. So if we were to revisit it, maybe our thoughts would be different. But if she says no again, then does that make you question it more? Nope. No. Why would I question it? Well, because now every answer that she's given, you can say, but you know you don't have it. Your parents are fine.
Starting point is 00:56:32 I'll come get you and you come stay up here for the next four weeks or so. And if she says, well, I just don't, I'm just not ready for that. Are you ready for that answer? I'd be ready. I know we're strong, and I know it's just the fact that everything going on. It's not because she doesn't want to be with me. Quick vote in the room. Should he do this and text her?
Starting point is 00:56:50 I'm looking out for him. The Christmas tree thing, I was like, oh, he's kind of sad. He put up a Christmas tree. And good for him for looking out for his mental health at home. So I'm like, man, maybe now, because all the reasons she gave are no longer reasons that matter. Maybe now she'll come, and I know he'll drive down and get her. Amy, should he text her after the show? Okay, he can text her.
Starting point is 00:57:13 You don't like it, huh? I lean more towards I'm okay with it, but part of me is kind of like, I just want to protect him from it. Or protect both of them. Text her. Okay, I say text her too. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:57:28 No, Bones, I love your take your shot thing and everything, but he already took the shot. It's not a take your shot. It's the girl you're going to be with the rest of your life. I get it. She said no the first time. I mean, I'm going to try. try to avoid a big problem here and not bring it up again.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Lunchbox. It's a 100% Bones is right. You have to shoot your shot. You have to go for it because this, I mean, this is a defining moment in your relationship. It really is. As much as you want to try to say, it's not, this is a defining moment. Well, I disagree. This is your first ever girlfriend, but you feel like it's going to be your only girlfriend ever.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Yep. And you guys are going to get married eventually. Yeah. Be together forever. I would just think if she's nervous or scared you'd want to be. be with the person she's going to be with the rest of her life. And if he can take away a lot of those concerns, which he can by driving down and getting her and coming back, that it's all there.
Starting point is 00:58:19 Just see what she says. Does she just, does she not feel comfortable driving that far? Or what's, because how old is she? That's what I was thinking. 26. I'm just, okay. I just, maybe she's never, if she's never been on a road trip, but at 26, I was driving from North Carolina to Texas by myself.
Starting point is 00:58:38 No. No. No, but I was curious. No, I was curious. If she just has never done a road trip before, like, why she wouldn't just hop in her car and come? Why does he have to go get her? Because that's a lot. Mike, after the show today, hit her up.
Starting point is 00:58:54 Say, hey, I'll come get you. I would love to have you up here. You're not sick. I'm not sick. I'll come get you and you spend the next few weeks here. See what she says. Okay. I would like her to, just for your sake, because we're close, I would like for her,
Starting point is 00:59:09 to be with you instead of the only human contact you gets when you come over to this house and we do radio, then you go back and look at your Christmas tree. Yeah. Okay? Tomorrow we'll get an update. Good on that, guys? Yeah. Yep.
Starting point is 00:59:22 All right. Why is everybody sad? I'm like, I'm the bad guy here. It's going to be, it's an awkward conversation. It's going to be an awkward conversation. Life is awkward conversations.
Starting point is 00:59:29 That's what life is. Love it, a series of awkward conversations. Something else I wanted to bring up about Lunchbox is that apparently lunchbox still has not paid that listener that lost his job. somebody tattled to me today saying everybody paid the remember the guy that called in amy yeah jacob yeah so jacob calls in and goes hey i lost my job just want to say i'm still listening to the show love you guys didn't ask for money and i was like well here i'll give you a hundred bucks and amy
Starting point is 00:59:53 matched me for my birthday everybody started chipping in and then finally and we didn't force them to but begrudgingly lunchbox came in and said hey i'll do a hundred bucks but they say you still haven't paid him anything man i look i've just been busy i haven't had time I didn't mean to not pay him. It's just, like, I mean, it's only been like two days. And I've been, like, you know, I got two kids and I got a wife. I got to take care of it. I'm cooking dinner and, you know, taking the kids out.
Starting point is 01:00:23 I'm changing diapers. I just haven't had time. You have Venmo? Yeah, I go to Venmo.com on my computer and it says I can't pay from there. So I, look, I mean, look, I've just been busy. I'll pay them. Like, Jacob, your money's coming. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Well, you don't have to give it to them. You did say you volunteered that you were going to give him 100 bucks. No, I did. I did say that. But, I mean, guys, who went and tattled on me anyway? Like, geez, mind your own business, guys. Like, is it in third grade? Yeah, that's not important, right, Benz?
Starting point is 01:00:52 No, I don't think it's important, who tattled. I just think that if you're going to say on the air, you're going to do something, especially for somebody who's struggling a little bit, lost his job, that you at least, you know, go forward with what you said you were going to do. I will pay him. By the end of the day. Oh, wow, man. Okay. I'll try to, I'll look at my schedule and I'll find a time that I can get on there and pay him today. My bad. I apologize. I apologize. Do you not have been on your phone?
Starting point is 01:01:19 No, I do not. Okay, well, download. It takes about eight seconds. Well, here's the problem. I don't have any space on my phone. I can't even take pictures on my phone right now because I'm out of storage. So I delete apps all the time trying to find storage so I can take a picture of my kid because he's doing something cool. Who? What phone do you have? iPhone 5S. Guys, quick. My baby's juggling. I mean, I do. I delete, like, notes.
Starting point is 01:01:47 I delete, like, numbers. I delete all these apps that I've never even heard of, but I start deleting them just so I can take a picture. Why don't you get a new phone? Well, I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about rewarding myself. Okay. Do you have an email on your phone yet?
Starting point is 01:02:03 No, I do not. I don't have space for there's no, where am I going to get email on my phone? I can't even take a picture. Amy, what day do you think the iPhone 5-8S came out? Gosh, 2012? 2013. When we moved to Nashville, Lunchbox got that phone. I can appreciate them for keeping the same phone,
Starting point is 01:02:27 but there becomes a point where you have to upgrade so you can keep being productive. Yeah, I mean, because my social media game, my pictures look terrible. Like when I put them on Instagram or whatever, I mean, I'm like, God, they look so old. Like, they look terrible compared to other people's. Well, let us know when you can pay this guy. He didn't ask. Someone on the show tattled.
Starting point is 01:02:46 And yeah, I don't think it's tattled. Someone on this show told me that everyone that committed helping the guy out who lost his job has paid and you have it. Okay. Look, Jacob, if you're listening, I apologize. Your money is on the way. I'm going to get it to you. I'll figure it out. I'm sorry.
Starting point is 01:03:02 And whoever tattled on me, I hate you. All right. Eddie, how you doing over there? I'm good, man. This is a funny conversation. All right, just making sure you're good over there. On average, the typical sugar daddy gives how much to the typical sugar baby, Amy? $1,000.
Starting point is 01:03:20 Wow. The average estimates are that a sugar baby gets $2,800 a month or $1,400 every two weeks. Now, a sugar daddy is mostly an older gentleman who takes care of, a younger girl. And I don't think there has to be dirty stuff going on. I know in some instances there aren't, so I read on the internet. Some instances, I guess there are. But every two weeks, they get 1,400 bucks. They go on three to five trips a year. Like it says here, sometimes hooking up isn't even involved. The sugar daddy feels powerful, and it allows him to enjoy spending money on someone who's appreciative. And they also enjoy having someone around them when they go out to dinner,
Starting point is 01:04:08 and someone on their arm when they're around their friends, who they're all married with kids, and he can be like, yeah, this is my date, this is my girl. Amy, your thoughts on that? I mean, I'm not into it, obviously, but I don't. Let me ask you this. I don't know anybody. When you were in college,
Starting point is 01:04:29 and if no hooking up was involved, if a 58-year-old guy was like, I will give you a thousand bucks every two weeks, and all you have to do is go on a, few dates with me and just be on my arm, would you do it? No, because I didn't need to. So I don't, I don't want to speak for, like if I was in a desperate situation and that's all I had to do, I wouldn't, I mean, gosh, I could see how that would be very tempting, just going on a few dates. But at the end of the day, I just don't think that I could do it. When I was 22, even, when I finished
Starting point is 01:05:07 college and I was broke. I would finish the week and I'd have $4 on my account. After I paid the bills and I paid my insurance and I'd have like $4 for the week. And if some old lady came up to me I thought you were going to say you had a sugar dad. And was like, hey, Sonny, if you'll be my sugar baby and all you have to is go to these events and just give me a little kiss on cheek occasionally, I would have done it in a heartbeat because it sucks being broke. And if I'm not having to, you know, do the wugly-pugly, then I think I would do it. I mean, that's, that you can actually pay your bills.
Starting point is 01:05:51 You can eat food. You can get gas. I mean, I remember having to go to MapQuest back in the day and see how many miles. I would drive in a week to make sure I had enough gas that I could pay for enough gas to get me to all my places because my drive to work was an hour every day, you know? So I would have been a sugar baby. if I and maybe once a month
Starting point is 01:06:10 I give her googly-wiggly, you know? Maybe you end up really liking her. Oh, can you imagine? I can't. Is anybody nobody watching Ozark season three right now?
Starting point is 01:06:23 No. Nobody? Gosh, if anybody... Someone's got a sugar something in that. There's a part where... Don't do it, Amy. You spoil shows without us even knowing.
Starting point is 01:06:36 Yeah, do not. Just step. All right. We're going to go over and do Amy's joke here in a second. You have a joke ready, Amy? She's grabbing her papers. I do. All right.
Starting point is 01:06:49 Here we go. The morning corny. What kind of shoes do all spies wear? What kind of shoes do all spies wear? Sneakers. Oh, that's pretty good. That's pretty good. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:07:11 Hey, did you say your daughter's school does jokes? Yeah, something that I learned. She's never come home and told me about it at all. But it's something they do along with there's announcements every day. And then someone comes on and tells a joke. And all of it's online now. So I've been more in tune with what's happening with her day. And I realized what?
Starting point is 01:07:33 Your school has a joke of the day and you never told me about it? She's like, yeah, I didn't tell you about it because it's my least favorite part. They're not even fun. And then when we went over, now that I know what a lot of them are, it's basically the morning corny. And I looked at her and I said, well, you know that I have at my job, I do that every single day. And she kind of looked at me like, well, you should stop. This is not good. Well, she's 12.
Starting point is 01:08:02 She's not supposed to think it's for her, right? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, but I thought a lot of kids that listen to our show with their parents, they like it and they take it back to their classrooms or they enjoy it in their day. I don't know. I think that probably caps out at 10. And it probably comes back to being cool again at about 23. Okay.
Starting point is 01:08:25 Because in two weeks, she turns 13. Oof. Yeah. That's a big one. Pretty crazy. It's going to be a teenager. Wow. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:08:33 I was reading this story about embalt. how the crime there is so bad, the Baltimore mayor gets online and then gets on TV and goes, guys, can you please stop shooting each other because we need the beds for corona? Because when you shoot someone, they have to get in a hospital bed.
Starting point is 01:08:54 And so I'm asking you, can you shoot people a little less because of corona? Here's the actual quote. We cannot clog up our hospitals and their beds with people that are being shot senselessly because we're going to need those beds for people infected with coronavirus. That's from Mayor Jack Young, according to CBS Baltimore.
Starting point is 01:09:13 Isn't it crazy you live in a place where you have to go ulterior pleas to get people to stop? I know. And when I saw that, I was just hopeful that they're listening and that they have compassion for the people with coronavirus, which I think it actually might work. Can you imagine? All right, Jim, I got McGlach. You ready to go? Yeah, I got my 42 SK, Joe. Let's get them. And they go out. And you're like, hey, the mayor's saying a little something online.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Let's take a listen. Oh, I'll need the bed. Oh, that's interesting. All right, hey, just get the bat. Do you think anyone that's like switches right in the middle? Okay, maybe we don't shoot them today. We just beat them up real good. The NBA is thinking about doing horse now, Amy.
Starting point is 01:09:58 You know earlier? Oh, yeah. You were talking about you want live sports back? The NBA playoffs. probably aren't going to happen. And so now ESPN and the NBA are negotiating game of horse, which is, you know what horse is, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:12 It's where you go around H-O-R-E. Yeah. Basically. But let's say I shot a shot from half-court and made it, then you would have to shoot a shot from half-core to make it, or you'd get the H. Uh-huh. And the first person that gets horse loses. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:10:28 So, but I was picturing them doing this. So obviously, whoever the players are for horse, they're tested and corona-free. Well, they could do it two ways. One, they could be corona-free or two, they could do it from their individual courts because you're just shooting the shots. And all courts are standard. Gotcha. And it'll be like, here, from this position and this is exactly where I was. Okay. Because I was picturing, when I saw that article, I was picturing them all together. And I was thinking, like, hmm, kind of like you do your, you still do your Opry things. But everybody there is safe. You keep your distance. It's minimal people. And it's a really special thing that you'll still get to. gather and do that. And this is something that could be really cool for basketball fans. Speaking of basketball, and I don't want to spend a lot of time on this, maybe one minute. Raymondo, if you could pull up the video game minute, because I do want to do 60 seconds here. And since we're talking about basketball, here is Bobby's video game minute from quarantine.
Starting point is 01:11:25 So Eddie and I will get on and play NBA 2K20, and Eddie will get like a center or a forward. Amy, you know who they are? Centers are forwards. You know what that means? On the court? Yeah. You're the different positions. Yeah, I know. Like a center.
Starting point is 01:11:41 I was point guard, but yeah. Okay, you weren't point guard. Stop it. Eddie is the worst at basketball because they'll take like a center or a forward and try to be the point guard. And he's like, just give me the ball. You give me a ball. And then he just gets it. I'll just pass it by.
Starting point is 01:11:52 He just shoots. It doesn't matter where he is. That's all. Okay. Now that you've complained about me, did we win last night or did we not win? Yeah, because I had to carry the team. Eddie did get better for sure. But it was so bad that he came out here and apologize.
Starting point is 01:12:04 guys before the show started, he goes, hey man, I'll get better. I'm so sorry. I was so bad last night. But that was us. Amy, you ought to see us. We all have our headsets on like the biggest dorks. There's four of us. And we're yelling at each other.
Starting point is 01:12:16 Cut to the rim. Cut to the rim. And Amy, he complains that I say, I'm open, I'm open. He wants me to say something like, ball, ball. No, this is what Eddie does. Because I'll pass it to him at any point. I want him to score. But he yells all different things.
Starting point is 01:12:30 Like I say, Eddie, just say ball. I don't throw you the ball. But he'll be like, I'm open. Or he'll go, now throw him. it to me or give me the rock and I'm like just say ball. Anyway, thank you. I'm learning. That's been the video game minute.
Starting point is 01:12:42 Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you. Starting point is 01:16:28 and here he is from out at his big old piece of land where he's quarantined. Go, dude. Hey, what's going on? How you been, man? I'd be good. Are you... What stage of boredom or laziness are you at right now?
Starting point is 01:16:43 Nothing really. I've been doing a lot of stuff outside, so the only thing that's getting me is allergies. You have to postpone your wedding? Sure did. But the good part is the move is Nashville. Oh, yeah? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:16:56 So would you guys consider getting married earlier, quietly and then having a wedding, like for everybody else, a wedding and a party, or are you guys really just holding off? We're going to act like we're going to get over this, but it's not going to be until. Summer does not want to be getting married next year, but we're going to shoot for November now. So you scale back, or like, what's the Nashville plan? It is, just at this big barn. We're just kind of working out of details right now.
Starting point is 01:17:22 We just got a date, and so it's all kind of brand new again. But we've got to do it all over again. What are you doing? Are you cooking at all? You cook? Summer does, and she's really good. We've been eating a lot. We've been post-maiding some. We did like, we got an, oh, we got an air fryer. That's pretty cool for quarantine. Yeah, what is that? It fries stuff, but it fries it without grease, I guess. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:52 Have you learned anything about summer since you're together all the time now that you didn't already know? I mean, there's just, she's just not a morning. I'll be like, hey, good morning. She's kind of a zombie in the morning. Are you a morning person, though? That's kind of weird for an artist who's out playing late shows to be a morning person? I'm a morning person if the sun's out. Now, if the sun's not out, because I can tell by looking through the shutters, like what the day is going to be,
Starting point is 01:18:23 by just like the blue or the gray. And I'm just like, man, if it's raining outside, I know it's going to be like it. inside day. Let me ask you a question here. When did you change your name to just at John Party when it used to be John Party picks? What was that hole and how hard was it to get? Well, some random guy had John Party on Instagram for a long time. He wouldn't give it up. So that's why we had the John Party picks and then that guy went away. What do you mean you went away? Did you kill him? Fed him to a tiger.
Starting point is 01:18:56 Well, listen, man, I'll let you get back to it. I just want to check in, see what was going on with you. Congrats on everything and on the other side of this. I hope you get you an ACM award. I know you're going to get back out on the road. Like everybody else, we're just kind of itching to go see the people again, you know? All right, talk to you soon. Bye, bud. See you.
Starting point is 01:19:11 To hear that full conversation, because it's about 15 minutes long, the whole thing is up on the latest edition of the Bobbycast. And so this is not a paid thing whatsoever. But now we want to do a little something for them for free. Ramundo hit it. And now an extra commercial for still being our sponsor. Boom.
Starting point is 01:19:57 Free commercial, baby. and today it's Car Shield. That's right. You know who has Car Shield? Amy, does it have fun of your house? Yeah. Like, as I'm talking about Car Shield, I think a bookshelf collapsed at Amy's house or something.
Starting point is 01:20:13 What happened over there? Like, I have this paper up over a window, so my neighbors can't see in, and it just fell off. Oh. It's fine. Well, you need Car Shield. Car Shield.
Starting point is 01:20:26 Yeah, yeah, yeah. I do. I do. I need Car Shield. You know who has Car Shield? Not only me, but Mike D. Yep. And Mike D, why do you have CarShild?
Starting point is 01:20:33 Well, I have a bit of an older car, and I'm always worried about something's going to go off on it or something break, and CarShill has you covered. So cars today are like computers on will. So when something breaks, it costs a fortune, and now is not the time for expensive repairs. You know why Mike? Why? Because we're broke, everybody's broke right now. Yes. It's always working.
Starting point is 01:20:51 That's why you need Car Shield. Car Shield has affordable protection plans. You can pay for as low as $99 bucks a month, and if something breaks and it's protected, boom, they're going to cover it. Call 800 Car 6,000 and mention the code bones or visit CarShield.com or use the code bones and save 10%. There you go. Just use bones. Either 800 Car 6,000 or CarShield.com. A deductible may apply. It is fantastic, though. You could hit with one of those dang car repairs. And you're like, I didn't know a sensor would cost that much. It's mostly sensors now, too. All right. That's a free commercial. Hit that, Ramundo. That was an extra commercial for still being our sponsor.
Starting point is 01:21:29 Nice. I was reading this article about toilet plume and you don't want it. I've not had it in my life forever because I, by the way, Amy, I've been reading these stories about these survivalists or these end-of-day preppers and how everybody laughed at them. And then all of a sudden, when Corona comes, they're the guys with all the toilet paper, all the guns, all the food. And they're like, who's laughing now? I kind of feel that way about everybody that's like, oh my God, we've got a good sanitizer. We got to wash your hands. Like I'm the guy that for the past few years, I wear long sleeves and put the sleeve over my hand when I open door knobs, and everyone would laugh at me. Yeah, who's laughing now?
Starting point is 01:22:08 And so not only that, what's happened is with toilet plume, something I've talked about on the show before, when you flush, you've got to make sure your lid is down. Because what plume is, it's the air, the chemicals that come up from the toilet, and it goes into the air and get on your toothbrush and get in your mouth. and now they're saying that the corona can be in fecal matter. By the way, let's act like there was no corona. You should have won fecal matter in your mouth. And when I would say this, be like, relax, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:22:41 All the cool kids have fecal matter in their mouth. And I'd be like, no, they don't. But everyone, there's toilet plume. When you flush, I don't care what you're flushing, shut your lid. Thank you. This has been of the more you know, a public service message for me,
Starting point is 01:22:57 your friend Bobby Bones. Thank you very much. Amy, your thoughts on that? Oh, I agree. Put the lid down, then flush. Hey, speaking of which, I saw Morgan number two said that she found toilet paper at the store for the first time and forever. And she's on the phone with us right now. Morgan? Yeah, I did. I went to Target, and I was so excited because I finally found toilet paper.
Starting point is 01:23:22 Did they have just one roll or like one package, or was there just a bunch over there now? No, they didn't have a bunch. I just happened to, to get there at the right time when they were unpacking that load for today. And there was only like 25 packages. So I got like a good package of like 12 rolls, but it was a package nonetheless. Did you need it? Yeah, I have like four rolls left. So I've been kind of looking for it for like a week and a half.
Starting point is 01:23:47 And I finally found it. Morgan's been quarantined in her house longer than we have. Remember I put her in quarantine a week before? Because she was out of the bar with everybody? Yep. Morgan, what do you leave the house for? I've left. I haven't gone anywhere in a week
Starting point is 01:24:03 besides the grocery store when I went yesterday. Yeah. I've really just hung out at my house. I've done everything here without leaving. Have you watched any more movies? No. I've seen Agents of Shield, the TV show. Oh, I did watch Onward on Disney Plus.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Do you like that? Yeah, it was really good. It was super cute. There you go. All right, well, she's breaking up a little bit. Morgan, good to talk to you, and we'll talk to you later on in the show, okay? Sounds good.
Starting point is 01:24:30 All right, the question is, can coronavirus survive on clothes? Amy? Yes. Scientists say the virus is more likely to survive on hard surfaces than softer ones like fabric. Doctors still suggest removing shoes and changing in the clean clothes when you come home, especially after you've been to the grocery store, but that it has a harder time on fabrics than hard surfaces. Okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:24:55 The more you know, that's right. Thank you very much for me, Bob. I guess someone sent a pizza to Eddie's house for his birthday, which was weird that someone knew where Eddie lived, right? Strange, yes. Well, that's weird, too. And the fact that my birthday was, what, two weeks ago or something like that? I mean, it's been a while. And so that was really weird to me. Eddie turned 41 a couple weeks ago. But if you remember back in time, someone said a pizza to Amy's house and she moved. Three. At the same time or three different times? No, three different times from different pizza places.
Starting point is 01:25:29 using like different numbers. We were trying to figure out who was delivering it, but it was always to Amy. And then you just moved. So yeah. That's why she moved. No, I think it was the pizza. And then I was getting,
Starting point is 01:25:49 I had gotten a few notes in my mailbox, which our mailbox was up at our front door and like a drop box. Like you had to go through. We had a gate around our front yard. So they had to go through. the gate, up to the porch, open the mailbox and drop it in. It didn't have a stamp on it. So it was hand delivered from listeners. So I think my husband was deploying a lot overseas at
Starting point is 01:26:10 the time and he just thought, okay, maybe we should just move and not buy a house in our name. Yeah. Eddie, are you weirded out by it? I'm not weirded out by it. I just, I really can't figure out who it is. I texted my parents and they said, no, we didn't send you that. And my wife, because they looked at the receipt. And on the receipt, all I'd say was happy birthday, Eddie, no, nothing. And there's nothing to identify who sent this thing. Happy birthday, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:26:37 Well, if Amy's giving you advice right now, she says that you should pack your stuff up and move to another state. Hey, but Bobby, at the time with the weird things going on, I mean, you thought it was smart that I moved, right? I think you moved from more than just a few. pieces of pizza. There was the pizza, the letters, and then someone emailed me a Google image of my house too. It was different things that kept happening. It was all added up. It wasn't just that a pizza got delivered and then I moved. So Eddie, that's not my advice to you. But I did have a series
Starting point is 01:27:15 of events that just made us feel more comfortable with moving. So it wasn't just a pizza. It was all of that, Amy, that made you move. Yeah, a series of events. For sure. But I think, does someone want to admit now they sent the pizza to Eddie? Yeah, I'll step up. I want to say, happy birthday, Eddie. Oh, my gosh. Well, I sent the pizza.
Starting point is 01:27:36 I mean, I thought Corona got us off the hook. We wouldn't have to do birthday things. But then Bobby comes on here and talks about how he delivered a handmade cake to your house. And I was like, well, great. I sit right next to this guy. We do a podcast together. I better do something. Bobby made him a cake, so I'll send him some pizza.
Starting point is 01:27:51 So happy birthday. Wow. Thank you. But it was a couple days late, though, right? Well, I didn't know we were going to do anything for, I thought, you know, Corona, I can't see people. You can't deliver presents. So I thought I was off the hook. But then when you came on air and said, oh, my girlfriend made him a cake and we took it to his house.
Starting point is 01:28:08 I was like, well, I don't know what to do. I still didn't have any ideas. And then I had pizza at my house. And I was like, oh, Eddie likes pizza. I'll send him some pizza. There you go. Did you plan to freak him out or no? No.
Starting point is 01:28:20 It didn't have anywhere for me to put anything. And it just said special instructions. and I put, happy birthday, Eddie. I thought they would say, because it said who ordered the pizza, and I put my name, so I figured it would be on the receipt, but I guess not. Eddie, there you go. Happy birthday. It's lunch box.
Starting point is 01:28:34 Well, thanks, lunch. A few weeks late. I guess it's better later than never, but I'll take it. A few days late, right? Not a few weeks. No. Yeah. It took a three weeks to figure out to sit a pizza?
Starting point is 01:28:45 Yeah. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Okay, so Rita Wilson, who's married to Tom Hanks. They both had coronavirus. and they were stuck in Australia for a couple weeks, then they made it back to the States, and now they're in quarantine. And to keep herself from going stir crazy,
Starting point is 01:29:02 I guess she's been rapping a lot. So she just released a remix of hip-hop hooray from Nottie by Nature. Here's a clip. Sounds pretty good. I wouldn't have known that was Rita Wilson. If you had played that for me and said, Who is this?
Starting point is 01:29:23 She'd have been my 1,000th guest. Yeah. Me too. She sounds really good. But the money from this song is benefiting COVID-19 relief. So if you want it, it goes towards a great cause. And you just download it off like one of the streaming partners? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:41 And then there's a video up too at grammy.com slash music cares. And that's where you can see the video and donate. How does she record that? They have a studio in their house? I guess so. And then who's engineering it, Tom? I see Forrest Gump back there. All right, let's get a little more hip-hop.
Starting point is 01:29:57 Let's hold a hop a little more, read. All right, do it again. All right, what else you got, Amy? Okay, so there's these newlyweds, and they went to the Maldives Islands for their honeymoon, and they were supposed to just be there six days. And now they're going on day 16 because they're totally stuck. There's no flights out. They can't leave.
Starting point is 01:30:15 And in fact, they're keeping that island so safe in quarantine. They're not letting anybody off or on. So it actually is a safe place for them to be, but it's just kind of crazy to be on your honeymoon and then be stuck somewhere foreign like that. although they're at a five-star hotel. Well, what stinks says, the staff of the hotel can't go home. Oh, that's true. Because the rules are if there's someone at the hotel,
Starting point is 01:30:37 you're not allowed to go live at home. So they have to come to work every day. And they're still getting charged, but not full price. Golly. I was reading the story here. Yeah, and they were just like, we go to the pool, we eat, we go back to the pool, we sleep. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:53 I know. I guess from far away, you're like, oh, it doesn't sound so bad, but to actually be in it, it's probably pretty miserable at times. But, I mean, there are worse places to be stuck. But think about that next time you book a trip to the Maldives. So Corona Beer has... I didn't know where the Maldives is, by the way.
Starting point is 01:31:11 Oh, I think... I've seen pictures of it from when Sports Illustrated did some photo shoot there for... I remember maybe Brooklyn Decker posting something about it forever ago. Apparently the water's beautiful and clear. Oh, I'm sure. It just sounds fancy. I don't want people to, when you say next time you book your trip to the Maldives. People think we know where the Maldives even is. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:31:30 South Asia. South Asia. I never even been to, yeah, okay. Yeah, you know, good luck with that. And then Corona beer, they just, you know, they just can't catch a break with this. They have now had to stop production because the Mexican government has shut down.
Starting point is 01:31:45 Their factories saying they are not an essential business during the coronavirus outbreak. So not only... What do you mean? Yeah. They got hit in the beginning because their name was similar. And then now they're just being totally shut down. down, which I see alcohol is essential business.
Starting point is 01:32:02 Yeah. I mean, there are a lot of governors when they're having to deem who is essential and who isn't. They're making sure that alcohol is still able to be bought in almost every state. Right. And that restaurants and delivery places can deliver it. Yeah, they've been the rules for alcohol. This is when I should start drinking is right now.
Starting point is 01:32:19 I was asking Caitlin the other night. I was like, hey, do you want to just like, because she's only ever been drunk one time. And so she was like, she's only been drunk once. And I was like, well, let's just hit it. Let's see what happened. She was like, no, I don't want to do it. And I was like, all right. So I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:32:33 I probably wouldn't have done it either. Or if I did, I wouldn't tell you guys, not right now, in the middle of Amy's pile. This is where I release it. Hey, if you release it somewhere, I'll gladly take it. It's breaking news. Yeah, I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:32:47 Let's go over to producer Eddie now and do one of the morning show listeners' favorite new segments. What's this called? Eddie knows Spanish or what is it? Hispanic word of the day. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Here we go. It's producer eddy's Spanish word of the day. All right, all right.
Starting point is 01:33:05 What's up, everyone? Listen. Your word of the day today is Lumbre. Now, Bobby, do you know what Lumbre means? Lumbre. About light. Oh, that's a good guess, but no, that's not right. Amy?
Starting point is 01:33:16 I have no clue. So here's the thing. You can say Lumbre, you can say Fuego. It all means fire. But Lumbre means like an open fire, right? So let me use that in a sense. for you. I fell in to a burning ring of Lumbre.
Starting point is 01:33:31 Oh, nice, nice. I fell into a burning ring of Lumbria. How do you say down? I'm talking about, man. I say down in Spanish. Abajo. What?
Starting point is 01:33:44 Abajo. Which you call me? Oh. No, no, no. I went abajo, abajo, abajo. And the what went higher? Come on. And the Lumbre went higher,
Starting point is 01:33:55 higher, higher. Thank you very much. There you go. What I'm talking about. Spanish word of the day. How's Spanish going with the kids? It's going. It's going. We, they have a problem
Starting point is 01:34:08 pronounciating the words. You have a problem pronouncing the word pronouncing. Pronunciating? That's what I meant to say. Yeah, yeah, like I say like, guys, a bananas platano. Can you guys repeat that back to me? And they're like, plateno? And I'm like, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:34:25 We got a lot of work to do. Why, I would probably do the same thing. Yeah. I think it's an accent thing, right? Yeah, my kids are Hispanic bones. I want them to speak the right way. But your kids don't think they're Hispanic. They don't because their mom's white.
Starting point is 01:34:38 And so I guess they thought that since mom's white, they're white. And so when I tell them, yeah, you have Hispanic culture. And they're like, no, we don't. And that's it. That's what they say. They just shut down. They're like, no, we don't. All right, Eddie, thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:34:54 There you go. Eddie's Spanish word of the day. Starting point is 01:38:24 that's amu. That's amu. APUS. You know that movie on Netflix called the platform? The one Amy that you tried to watch, you watched the preview
Starting point is 01:38:36 and wasn't going to happen? Yes. It just is a little too dark for me. I think if I was at a different place in my life, I would be into it. Maybe I will later. But for me to like have this system of food and you're in prison.
Starting point is 01:38:51 So basically the people at the top of the jail they get all this food, and the lower you are, you get the leftovers from people. So the people on the first floor, they basically get nothing. So Mike D watched it, like the weirdo he is. Yeah. Because he's movie Mike, movie Mike's movie podcast. Mike, what about this movie? It's pretty brutal.
Starting point is 01:39:11 There's a lot of violent stuff in there. There's cannibalism in there. So it's a pretty intense movie to watch. Did you like it? I thought it was interesting, the concept about it about the guy, the main guy in the movie tries to like devise a system so everybody can get their good amount of food and but he's having to like to barter with the people above them and the people below them but it's also in Spanish and they translate it into English so it makes it feel kind of cheesy oh edica watch that and
Starting point is 01:39:36 come in tomorrow for Spanish word of the day the Spanish word is the whole movie the Spanish word of the day is don't drop the soap don't eat me what do you give it I give it three out of five empty wine bottles so I don't really recommend it unless you want to want something brutal. Empty wine bottles? Yeah. Something we don't understand because we don't watch it?
Starting point is 01:39:56 Because the food comes down and by the time it gets to people on the lower level, they don't get to drink anything and they want wine. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:40:08 All right, a bunch of cops in Colorado and they want to make sure that Susie Montoya gets to have a good 102-second birthday. 102 years old. Are you kidding me? So they work for the Arvada Police Department
Starting point is 01:40:17 right now. Listen, if you're older, you got to be stowed away. You can't let people come touch you. So the cops are like, all right, let's do something first. She's 102. So they go and there's a local bakery that's also trying to stay in business. They go and buy a bunch of cherry pies, those individual cherry pies, Amy, that look like they're kind of wrapped.
Starting point is 01:40:36 Like the little Debbie had the, didn't little Debbie have cherry? Oh, man, those are good. But that kind of shape. And so they go and they buy a bunch of them and they cleaned all the outside of them with disinfectants. Like not the eating, but the paper. They cleaned all those that they were wrapped in. And they took them over and they dropped them on. off outside of her house and then she was able to take them in and have birthday pie for a
Starting point is 01:40:57 hundred and second birthday just the police officers in town want to do something cool so let me shout them out again the arvada police department and they watched her as she went up to the window waved at them they sang happy birthday from the street and they declared it susy montoya day come on there you go that's what it's all about that was tell me something good you know a funny thing to send somebody is a cameo as a joke kind of where you get the celebrity to talk to you, I saw now that Honey Boo Boo and family are now on cameo, and the Honey Boo Boo cast is $25. But you can find funny people to send a people.
Starting point is 01:41:34 I was going to do Jeff Lowe from Tiger King, but then I just thought, I don't want to pay money. I was going to send Caitlin a funny cameo from Jeff Lowe from Tiger King, but I was like, I don't want to pay him money. He just seems like a sleezer, right? Yeah, he does. So that's where the struggle is real. Because some people, it's fine.
Starting point is 01:41:51 You'll give them the money, or some people donate it to chair. and you're like, well, that's amazing. I can do that. But I just don't know where I... Yeah, I don't know where I stand with that guy and his involvement in potential murder. Mama June, Honey Boo Boo and Pumpkin are getting paid on Cameo.
Starting point is 01:42:09 Mama June is charging 30 bucks. Her daughters are getting 25 and 20. So far, everyone in the family is doing well on the Celebrity Video Shoutout site. She's had 12 reviews, which means she's made at least $360. And then she got a five-star rating, if that matters. So that's also a fun site to look at if you're just bored and you want to see
Starting point is 01:42:29 what celebrities are doing shoutouts for money. I'm not ever saying I'm not, I'm too good for it. I'm not on there. But at some point, I may have to be like, you know what, got to pay the bills. Got to get on a cameo. We should get Morgan number two back on to talk about Quibi, because I know we should want her to do what 25-year-olds care about. So if you want to get her back on, Ray, we'll talk to Morgan number two in a second. Oh, is she on now? Yeah, I'm on. Okay, hey, let's do what 25-year-olds care about. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:42:54 Or 26-year-olds. Isn't she older now? 26. Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay. All right, all right, hey. Here we go. Let's do what 26-year-olds care about.
Starting point is 01:43:05 Streaming service called Quibi, and it's only $5 a month. And it's really cool because the videos are made specifically for you to watch on your phone. So they're responsive. So you can watch it vertically or horizontally, and it will just keep moving for you. Oh, wow. Have you watched any shows on Quibi? I started Thanks a Million with J-Lo and Kevin Hart. I only got through like 20 minutes before I had to start working and stuff,
Starting point is 01:43:31 but it made me start tearing up. It's a really good one. It's a scripted show? I don't know if they're all scripted or if like the celebrities kind of get to decide, but there's all kinds. Like there's a show on there that Reese Whitherspoon produced. There's a Liam Hemsworth show. There's a Chrissy Teigen show.
Starting point is 01:43:50 so like a lot of big name celebs. Amy, what were we going to say? I was just going to say, yeah, I saw Chrissy Teagan post that her new show is on there, but she said that. I think I know the guy that started Quibi. We could probably get him on the show. I mean, and just see what's up.
Starting point is 01:44:07 Okay, Quibi, it is on your phone, pretty much the whole network and shorter lengths too. Pretty much the shows are all in short, right, Morgan? Yeah, there's shorter videos. So literally it's made specifically for you to just watch on your phone. All right, there you go. There's Morgan number two. and what 26-year-olds care about.
Starting point is 01:44:22 Thank you very much. Did you see this story about the boy with the itchy nose, and he discovered a leach was living up there? Oh, no. Yeah, it made me do the same thing where you go, oh. Yeah, a boy kept complaining about having an itchy nose. So his dad took him to the hospital so doctors could take a look. They found a two-inch leech living up his nose.
Starting point is 01:44:49 They removed the leech, and guess what, the boy's itchy. went away. How about that? I should check my butt then, huh? Just for scratching. Is your butt it? Well, sometimes. You know what? It took a long time to heal was when I injured my butt on the bike. It was when it ripped. It took a long time. It's healed now, though. Thank goodness. That was miserable. If you've ever had a ripped butt or what do they call it, a fissure maybe, I'm not sure what it is. It's the worst. I put that up there with having a toothache and an earache, but maybe even worse because the earache and toothache eventually go away.
Starting point is 01:45:28 With the rip butt, you keep using it over and over again, so it keeps re-ripping. Yeah, put that in your prison shows. Sounds like a prison show in itself. Terrible, man. So, yeah, by the way, speaking, I don't want to see a picture. Mike is holding up a picture of a... It's what it's called.
Starting point is 01:45:44 A anal picture. Well, I don't see a picture. You can just say it. Instead of just saying in the mic, because Mike in my house has a microphone, instead of just saying, hey, that's what it's called, he hits Google image and holds it up to me and goes, yep, you're right. I don't need to see that. Speaking of our bike, though, I hit Workout 150 yesterday at my Peloton.
Starting point is 01:46:01 Saw that. Yeah. Thank you. Pretty much it's just Amy clapping. Thank you. Thank you for that. Other than that, same stuff at the house. I mean, we play trivia a little bit.
Starting point is 01:46:14 She goes out to the pool. Caitlin does. We cook a little bit. We're in the every day is this same, but now we have a routine where it's not so much it's the same that it's like, ugh, again, it's just, we just know what we're doing at this point. Do you feel like that way? Yeah, we're getting that way. I had my husband help me with the schedule, which was really good. And then, yeah, my attitude for this week is just shifting. I feel like last week with the kids in school, I was very negative about it. So I went into this week more positive and just not, how do I
Starting point is 01:46:46 survive this more so this is our new normal and how are we going to live in this and live our best life and I think a lot of that starts with perspective and attitude so and it's already been helping it is the beginning of the week though yeah what is it day two well listen there are only two things you can control and that is how hard you work and the attitude you put out the rest of it you have no control over all you can do is control the vibe that you put out and the amount of effort you put into it. That's it. Hopefully, though, the goal is, if you put a lot into both of those,
Starting point is 01:47:25 attitude and effort, for the most part, good things will happen. Not always, but you're kind of always playing the odds. But if you have a bad attitude and you put bad effort, most of the time bad things are going to happen, and it's just not going to end well. But that's interesting that you've started this week with a reset. When do you want to go better specifically? School.
Starting point is 01:47:44 That's where I had a reset. I feel like overall, I typically have, I try to have a healthy attitude about things, but last week I was thrown. I was thrown into stuff that I just didn't expect. I never, you can't plan for this. Nobody thought this is where we would be. And my kids, I really feel like I want to give props to their school. I don't want it to look like the teachers and the people involved haven't done an amazing job. but my kids being from Haiti and still at a disadvantage academically,
Starting point is 01:48:18 we just have a whole set of, I don't want to call them problems, challenges. We have a whole set of challenges that I don't know how to approach in the best way because I'm not a trained professional. I'm not a trained teacher. So it's just a little bit heavy. But it's fine. We're seeing it as an amazing challenge and I can't wait to conquer it. Yeah, that's it.
Starting point is 01:48:41 attitude and effort. That's all you can control. It really is. And you're controlling it. Good. I like to hear that. You guys want to play a game here? I got a game.
Starting point is 01:48:48 Yeah. Name that childhood actor. If we can get a little game music, please. Because I will give you a childhood actor. You tell me the TV show they are most known for as a kid. So you'll all write your answer down. You'll show it to me. If you miss it, you're eliminated.
Starting point is 01:49:06 Amy. Lunchbox. Video producer ready. Again, I'll give you the child actor. You tell me the show. Everybody ready? Ready. Up first, Hillary Duff. Write your answer down. I'll come to you in just a second. That was fun. Hillary Duff. All right. Lunchbox, what do you have?
Starting point is 01:49:31 Hey, Carly. Hey, Carly. That's incorrect. Not sure that's his show. Is that a show? No. It's I Carly, right? Yeah, I Carly. Eddie, what do you have? I have Lizzie McGuire. That is correct. Yeah. Amy, what do you have? Lizzie McGuire.
Starting point is 01:49:48 Nice. You're both still in. Okay, here we go. Is this the theme song to Lizzie McGuire? I love it. Okay. Is that her singing? No.
Starting point is 01:50:02 Oh, I was going to say, that doesn't sound anything like. Second one up. Here's the kid actor. Tell me the show. Amy and Eddie, you're both still in the game. Neil Patrick Harris. In. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:50:22 I have Dugie Hauser. Correct. Amy. Dugie Hauser. Nice. You're still in the game. Both people. Yes, yes, yes. Now, I do remember this for being a young kid. At the end of the night, he would journal on what looked like a Commodore 64. All right, next up, Jalil White.
Starting point is 01:50:42 Was a kid actor? I'm in. In. Eddie? I have Family Matters. Nice. Amy. Okay. Oh, do we say the show or the person?
Starting point is 01:51:02 The show. The person, I mean. Oh, Urkel. No. No, it's the show. It's the show, yeah. Oh, see, I was doing the person like Lizzie McGuire and Doogie Houser. Those are the people. The name of the show.
Starting point is 01:51:16 And so was Doogie Houser. Okay, to be fair, that was a bit confusing. Amy, I'm going to give that to you because you did know the show, but you're right, but we did ask for the show. Eddie, okay with that? I'm cool with that. That's fun. Okay, thanks.
Starting point is 01:51:29 Looking for the show. The next one up. Alyssa Milano. In. I'm in. Eddie? Who's the boss? Nice.
Starting point is 01:51:43 Come on. Amy. Who's the boss? Nice. Okay, okay, okay. Jonathan Taylor Thomas. I'm in. In.
Starting point is 01:52:04 Eddie? I have home improvement. Amy? Home improvement. Nice. You're in a guy. Come on. Okay, I'm going to have to go with a tougher one.
Starting point is 01:52:18 Myombiolic. Well, that's a tough one. What? Myombiolic. What show, as a kid, was my own biolic in? I'm in. Hold on. I don't even know who that is.
Starting point is 01:52:49 Oh, my gosh. My own biolic. Everybody good? Eddie? Yeah. I have young Sheldon. You're so close, but not really. But it's a show from when we were a kid.
Starting point is 01:53:07 Well, no, no, just as a childhood actor. Wow, Amy's struggling. Yeah, Amy just doesn't understanding rules. I thought you literally just said, like, five seconds ago. A show from when we were a kid. No, the show with kids actor. Amy, what do you have? Alf.
Starting point is 01:53:26 Oh, gosh. It's blossom. No, it's blossom. But yeah, no, these were all kid actors. Okay. Okay, gotcha. We're going, if you miss it, you lose. Eddie, you're up first. Ready?
Starting point is 01:53:39 Come on. Ron Howard. What show? Ron Howard. Yes. You want me just go? Yeah. Andy Griffin Show.
Starting point is 01:53:45 What? Andy Griffith Show. Okay, correct. Amy, Fred Savage. Wonder Years. Correct. Eddie, Frankie Munez. Um, it's, um, come on, hold on.
Starting point is 01:53:59 Give me a second. Give me a second. It's, uh, Frank, uh, Malcolm in the middle. Right, nice. Amy, Dustin Diamond. Stay by the bell. Correct. Eddie. Jody Sweeten.
Starting point is 01:54:13 Full House. Correct. Amy, Shia LaBuff. What? Shia LaBuff. Formers or something. No, I'm sorry. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:54:30 That was just me talking. That's a movie. Shailabuff? Probably some knockoff version of Boy Meets World or something. Not the answer. is even Stevens, and that makes Eddie the winner. Eddie, there he is. Dang you that.
Starting point is 01:54:50 No, no, no, I had no clue, Amy. Sorry. Eddie, you win. Nice job, bro. Thanks, dude. I know my childhood actors. Say a little something to the people. That's weird.
Starting point is 01:54:59 That's sounded weird. Thank you. Thank you, everyone that supported me along the way. Thank you. There he is. All right, thank you guys. Until next time, this is your kid actors game. I'm your kid actors host,
