Bobby Bones, post-show pre-show. As we wrap up today's show, I know Amy's daughter, because Amy's in New York right now, because she has the big Thomas Rett premiere show tonight. It's his album release.
Starting point is 00:03:38 And I know your daughter's just chilling in the hotel room. Yeah. And it's like noon, where you are? Yeah. Yeah. No, she's, well, our friend Mary came to town, but we weren't with her until now. And I just got to update that she is now with her, so she's not alone anymore. And that she ordered a hamburger for breakfast.
Starting point is 00:03:56 That's what happens when you? you leave them alone. And rim service as a kid is like an awesome thing for kids. Yeah, all desserts. Room service is awesome for me. I go, if works, paying for it, it's like I rub my hands together like, huh, wonder what I'm going to have here. Take one of those, one
Starting point is 00:04:11 of that. It's like, you want four dishes for just you? Yes, I do. How many will be serving serving? Well, just one, but don't let that limit what you're getting to all the effort. You're going to put into all this food. Did you guys do anything last night in New York, Amy? Oh, no, we didn't get
Starting point is 00:04:27 until really late. Our flight was delayed. So by the time we got to the hotel, it was like 10 p.m. And, I mean, she thought it was super cool that her tablet would connect to the hotel Wi-Fi. Like, that was like Christmas. And then, so I let her play on her tablet in bed a little bit, but then we went to bed. I mean, it wasn't that exciting. But she, it was cool for her to, like, look up and see all the lights. We drove through Chinatown, and she was just like, what is happening?
Starting point is 00:04:52 She wanted to see the stat. We were flying in, and there was just some lit up anything. She's like, is that the statue of liberal. I was like, no. But it's cute. I like that she's learned stuff about New York and she wants to go see it all. No, we're in Tulsa.
Starting point is 00:05:07 This is Sacramento. I remember flying to New York's first time. Listen, I'm 39, but I didn't go to New York for the first time to my mid-20s. I'd never been anywhere. And I remember seeing the city and going, oh, my God, and then realizing, oh, that wasn't even New York. That was like Philadelphia or something.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's crazy. Well, Amy's there. She's doing that big show to. How nervous are you really? I mean, I am a little bit nervous. I was more nervous the other day, I guess now that I'm here and I've been going over some stuff, feeling good with it, kind of put my own. I mean, there's sort of a, like a script that goes along with it, and I reviewed it and
Starting point is 00:05:41 kind of tweaked it. I feel better now that I've sent that back off with, like, you know, ways I think I talk. But this is your third national show, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah, but I would say Thomas Red's like, you know, he's, yeah, I don't want to rank people but. No, no, I'm not ranking them. I'm saying national. It's your third night. So it's not your first time to go and host a national event on radio stations that we're not even on. Right. Yeah, because people don't know. Yeah, there's some stations. Like, who's the samey
Starting point is 00:06:10 girl? We do nights in Cleveland, but we're not on the morning there. So they may be like, wait, who is this? So remember, here's the real advice, like the real practical advice, even that I use whenever I'm doing stuff like that. Those shows are not about you. Yeah. Okay, yes. And you've told me that time and time again. And, yeah. I host that stuff.
Starting point is 00:06:31 I realize nobody gives a crap what I have to say because they want to hear that music from that artist. And it's that artist special. So it's not like our show where people are tuning and listen to what we have to say about a lot of things or our opinions or what we like. And we bring an artist and it's about us and them. Like, that is about them. So you don't really have to do Amy the personality. You just got to go be a decent host. And that's easy.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Being a host is easy. You got it. Thank you. Well, I appreciate the encouragement. And it should be fun. and, you know, Stasher will get to watch and hang and then, you know, see kind of what I do a little bit, I guess. There's like a hierarchy inside the company of who they will get to host these things.
Starting point is 00:07:10 And so I'm thankful that they think Amy can do it, because I knew she could always do it. But like Amy's like that person now. It's like me, I think Amy and Cody Allen are right there together because they're both big. And Cody, thankfully, Cody Allen will go to Los Angeles and do some of the stuff when I can't because Cody's really good. What, Amy?
Starting point is 00:07:28 Oh, I was going to say, like, I feel like he's way more experienced and better than I am. As a host, he is better than you. Yeah. But he's done in a long time. So I feel like he would be the next go-to. Like, I feel like it's like he must be busy too. No, I think it just depends who it is. I mean, I'm not sure what it is.
Starting point is 00:07:44 But then there's also, I think Brooke does them now in Chicago a little bit. You know, if they, if I'm not there and Amy's not there and Cody's not there. Occasionally they'll call Michael J and D.C. So it's a good group. It's a good group. I'm proud of you. I'm glad that you're able to do it. I try to get email on all kinds of stuff
Starting point is 00:08:01 because that means they don't ask me to do everything. Is lunchbox on that list anywhere? I have no idea. I actually haven't seen the list. I'm just making things up in my head here who they've asked before. Even when Brooke will fill out on the countdown for me. That's just because I asked her.
Starting point is 00:08:13 I was like, hey, would you mind doing the countdown? Because I'm either out of town. She crushes it. And she does, I guess afternoons now at Chicago. She's moved around a little bit. I think she does that. I think that's right. So anyway, anyway.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Jamie, good luck to you. Thank you. You'll do great. I know you're going to do great. It's going to be awesome. And you'll have a couple mess-ups, but you'll go like, I can't believe I messed up, and nobody'll even care. Nobody will even know. I get up there and scrub up every time, and nobody even cares.
Starting point is 00:08:36 When you do these national shows, are you thinking about, like, oh, man, the whole country is listening. No, because more people will listen to this show than listen to that. Okay. So that's not a thing. It's just a different mindset. You're not there to be funny or witty. You're just there to go. And you depend on the artist, because it's just you and the artist standing up there.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Yeah. Yeah. Don't you do like Q&A too? And if they don't give you a lot, and there are certain artists that I'm actually really close friends with that are terrible interviews. And I'm like, oh my God, I got to carry them through the whole thing. And there are some that have to like, they are way, they're great at talking, but they also won't shut up.
Starting point is 00:09:09 So I got to be like, I got to cut them off. So it's good, though. It's good. I'm really happy for you. I saw the story about Uber. I was going to mention this on the show today. I never got to it. That Uber's now banning writers who get low ratings for behaving.
Starting point is 00:09:22 badly. Yeah. And I was wondering on the year how I got a 4.82. It's because of Will it Uber. And we would do all that Uber stuff and send stuff across town. They didn't like that? I would get low ratings. Oh.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Whenever we would mess with Uber drivers. Yeah, we did that a lot. That's why don't do it anymore. Because unless someone else wants to use their account. But still, I don't think a 4 is considered a low, is it? 4.8. You should be at like 4-9 at least. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:09:44 Yeah. Because now they can just see like, oh, this is a two-star or whatever. Like, don't pick them up. Maybe if there's a specific reason they got in trouble, like a couple instances. I don't know if you can write why. Riders with significantly below average ratings in the U.S. and Canada will be booted. Starting yesterday, riders with rating
Starting point is 00:10:01 that significantly below average could lose their ride. And for me, too, the company, when they send me places, they send me the big nice car to pick me up at the airport, like a black car on Uber, and they won't even let, black car is going to pick you up if you have a below 4-8.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Wow. I know. And that's company paying for it. Man, at Lunchbox's wedding, that night, I got really drunk, and I got Waterburger, and apparently, I don't remember this, but I sat on a bunch of Waterburger
Starting point is 00:10:25 ketchup packets. And so I got a $50 charge, but it didn't mess with my rating. My rating's still good. And I thought I was like, oh, I'm doomed. I'm going to get a one now. Doomed. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:35 You're going to die? I'm still good, but I got charged 50 bucks for ketchup all over the Uber. Well, if you messed up the car, you probably should have been hot. I didn't even remember it. When's the last time you get his wasted drunk? That was probably the last time, like, where I don't remember. Lunchbox's wedding. Like three years ago?
Starting point is 00:10:50 Yeah. Like where I don't remember. Yeah, yeah. You haven't been that drunk since? Nah. That was a bad one. My wife was there and she was like, does this how you are all the time when I'm not around?
Starting point is 00:10:59 No, no, no, no, no. When have you been kind of drunk since? Kind of drunk since. Maybe some of the Vegas nights. Like I heart country, I heart Vegas. Lunchbox wins the last time you've been plastered? This is Vegas this past weekend. You did get drunk drunk.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Oh, yeah. I mean, I sang karaoke. I mean, I was three sheets to the wind. Do you start drinking immediately when you land? You mean when the plane takes off. Oh, you drink on the plane? Absolutely. Is it you and your boys or you and your wife?
Starting point is 00:11:27 My wife was with me, but I had boys that met me out there too. Does she get drunk? She did one, yeah. One of the nights? Yeah, a couple of the nights. Baby get drunk? No, baby didn't go. Oh, oh, oh.
Starting point is 00:11:38 They didn't go. I mean, we sing karaoke. I mean, if I'm singing karaoke because I'm so bad, I mean, it was awesome. Amy, when's the last time you've been drunk? Like how? I don't know. Whatever you would define? fine being drunk is? I mean
Starting point is 00:11:53 Tuesday. Wow. Wow. What were you, what were you though? Home. Just a regular day at the house. My normal. Amy.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I'm just joking. Hala, if you're a mom and maybe you had some wine. I'm trying to think probably what did we go do recently? Where were my husband and I? We went somewhere and had, I probably had, oh, I I was in North Carolina.
Starting point is 00:12:23 We went to dinner and had like a five-hour dinner. And I don't know how many drinks everyone ended up happening. But we had, it was just like a lot of fun. Way more responsible type. You know, there's like food and friends and laughter. But that's what I want. Food, friends and laughter. I know differently.
Starting point is 00:12:39 Food. I'm hungry, I know. And friends. It'd be cool. And laughter. And laughter. Maybe I should drink. So basically just in the mornings we need food.
Starting point is 00:12:48 Yeah, that's Morgan number two, but it's this weekend, I'm sure. It's every weekend for her. She goes hard. Eventually, when are you going to chill? Whenever I have responsibilities, I don't really have any right now. Did you know that she buys a hangover pill that she takes before she drinks? It's not a pill. It's a patch. It's a lot different.
Starting point is 00:13:08 So you pregame with that patch? Not pregame. You put it on before you, like an hour before you start drinking and then. Well, you are. She's a pro. She is. We didn't have that when we were in college. You put the stirrups on. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Time start drinking. Wow. All right. Do you ever get the IVs? No, no, no, no. For afterward? That's when I've reached like pretty bad status. No.
Starting point is 00:13:31 You've done that, right, bones? Yeah, just for like life. Yeah. Yeah, for life, not hangovers. No, I know. You don't drink. All right. Everything okay?
Starting point is 00:13:40 Mike, do you walk down behind me like you need to move? You need to. Well, I have a situation happening here. I guess there's a DJ that comes in the studio at noon and he just walked in. and I motioned him to please shut the door and get out. I'm recording. He goes, this is my studio. Who is it?
Starting point is 00:13:55 Who is it? I have no idea. I have no idea. It's not like Charlemagne. Do we know who it is? No, no. I've never seen him before ever. Describe him.
Starting point is 00:14:03 What celebrity do they look like? Saul from... Oh, better call. No, no. No, no. Saul from Homeland. Oh, really? That kind of looks like my dad.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Well, you still have 30 seconds, according to my clock here. I don't care. I think it's just. Okay. All right, you got to go. All right, bye, Amy. All right, we're going to go to. Bye, everybody. Here's today's show.

Starting point is 00:18:43 Mr. Bobby bones. Let me go. across America. Hey, welcome to the show. Got a big Thursday show plan for you. Let me say hello to all my friends. Morning studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Did you guys see this woman giving birth in the front seat and her other son was filming it? Do you see the story? Oh, no. Well, no, don't go, ugh. This is a natural part of life. I know, but the son. The filming part's weird.
Starting point is 00:19:13 The son had to, what all did he see? Because that would be weird to see my mom give birth. A family was in a car. The mom goes into labor. The parents were focused on the child. birth, the big brother filmed what the internet is now named the Infinity Baby. The viral video captured the intense but incredible moment and Nevada woman gave birth in her car. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:19:34 Ready. The baby's coming out. Oh, she's happy. Get her, get her, get her, get her. Hold her up. Hold her up. Hold her up. Hold her up. Hold her up. Oh my God. Hold her. Hold her. Hold her. Hold her.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Daddy. Hide me. It's right there. Where? Wait, right. Right there. Just go. Cut the light.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Okay, baby. Just give me a second. Look at my baby. You're so tall. Just put on me cry. Isn't that crazy? Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:14 To me, that doesn't sound gross. No. And now that I hear it, it's fine. But I just didn't know what angle he was at. I was just thinking like it didn't get on the floorboard. Me in the car. Just see everything. But yeah, they're still like in route to the hospital.
Starting point is 00:20:27 That's crazy. That guy is revving it hard. Yeah, he's going. Whoa. Yeah. Oh, hon, quong, quong. And I tell you, that baby came out quick. They're driving.
Starting point is 00:20:37 Okay. Oh! Did you watch the video? Some of it. Just in case it went around, in case there was like a swoop, I didn't want to see it. So, you keep the car or sell it? I guess it depends how much splash got involved. You know, and can you sell it?
Starting point is 00:20:54 And then can you sell it like carbacks knowing about it? They'll definitely find out. Can you just take it in? And the fox doesn't give you the old what-for whenever you come in. Right. Anyway, the video is crazy. The birth happens in seconds. And I bet you a lot of moms do it took like four hours, nine hours,
Starting point is 00:21:10 20 hours to have a baby. It's like, oh, come on, I'd rather have mine in the car in like 10 seconds rather than sit in the hospital over 20 hours. Right. And think of all the money they save from not being in the hospital. Oh, a lot. Good point. And to hear that baby come out and start crying is crazy.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Anyway, I saw that. I wanted to share that. I thought that was good. Right? Yeah, the car birth stories are always crazy to me. And your ex-girlfriend's sister, brother gave birth in a car? Yeah. But there was a lot of splash in that one, he said.
Starting point is 00:21:35 That car was a moose. Hello, Ashley, you're on. I'm so excited. Thank you for calling. What do you want to say? I have a 45-minute morning commute. I listen to y'all every day just on the radio. It sometimes is static-y, but I just put up with it.
Starting point is 00:21:54 I just think it's amazing how y'all radiate such positivity. and every action that y'all do. Like, you know it has consequences and you're really conscious on making sure that that's a positive consequence and positive things that you're putting out into the world. Oh, wow. Well, thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:22:10 What do you do for a living? I am an orthodonic assistant. Wow. So a what? Orthodontic assistant. Oh, so you're in mouth? And then yes, all day long. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:22:22 That's tough. I love it. You do? Yes, it's so fun. I've done it since I was 18. So are you just like over bad breath? Like bad breath is the only thing to you. It's like part of life. Well, we wear masks. So if it's bad enough to get through the mask, then you just like lean back a little bit. Listen, I appreciate your calling. Thank you for waking up. Thank you for, you know, being with this. You can be anywhere in the world, but you're here with us. We appreciate that. That's a good call to start today, huh?
Starting point is 00:22:48 Yeah. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. I want to bring in our audio producer, Raimundo. He sits in the glass room. All the sounds that you hear, all the edits you hear, that's Ray Mundo putting in all the audio. Like, for example, if I were to play a clip of Morgan Evans, who was on my Bobbycast. Ray Mundo cut this clip and put it on the wall for me to push the button. There he is, right? Ray Mundo, here he goes.
Starting point is 00:23:15 There you. And so the thing about Ramundo is he always has ideas for businesses that are almost good. Like, they're never quite there, but they're the closest to there of anybody that ever comes in and pitches ideas. And so he says he has another shark tank idea. He'd like to pitch to the show. Welcome in. Ray Mundo, everybody. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:23:34 Go ahead. Thanks sharks for having me. I appreciate it. So I had this crazy idea. It ended up being a very, very good idea. So Uber and Lyft, they have vehicles and they come pick you up, correct? Yeah. One thing that Uber and Lyft got wrong, what they're doing is taking us away from our homes,
Starting point is 00:23:49 taking us away from our vehicles. We don't want that. We want to keep ourselves with our vehicles. So this is where my invention comes into play. Are you ready for it? It's called Bring Me a Body. So what you'll do is you will just get on an app, whether you're at work, whether you're at the bars, whether you're at your house and you've got to go somewhere. Bring me a body.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Then somebody gets dropped off and they drive your car. You stay right next to your car. So the sucky thing about going to the bars doing this and that you're never near your car. And the next morning, we all know that when you're with your buddies. Hey, can you come give me a ride? My car is left downtown somewhere. No. With Bring Me a Body.
Starting point is 00:24:26 you'll always have your car with you because somebody's dropped off, they drive your car for you. Sharks. I need $100,000 investment. Wow, really all you need his bodies? Wait, what are you going to do with that money? So that would start the company. I can start an app.
Starting point is 00:24:43 And I do believe in the next five years would be more popular than Uber Lyft, all of those. Just because they missed the simple concept, we always want to stay near our vehicles. We don't want to be left out on an island, and that's exactly what Uber and Lyft do. So bring me a body is just, someone getting dropped off to drive you.
Starting point is 00:24:59 Anytime. So, Bones, when you're driving in the morning, doesn't it suck to drive? You're tired? That's not safe. Bring me a... Yes. What you'll do is you'll get on the app. And all you're going to say is, bring me a body. And that's when some person comes. So the body drives you to work when you're tired. But by the time you leave here, you're not tired anymore. You can drive
Starting point is 00:25:16 fine. And good thing, because your car's here. Because earlier in the day, you used a body. Oh, you're into it. I mean, I'm feeling it. Question. Yeah. So the body is the driver, right? Yeah. So once the body takes you to location A, what does the body do for the next hour? It's a great question. They're going to be very well paid.
Starting point is 00:25:35 And so they're going to have other forms of transportation. They're going to get an Uber out of here. Or a lift. They're obviously going to have to find a different way to have a buddy drop them off or something like that. A buddy. Or maybe somebody nearby would need another body. And they just go from one car to another. And it's also this thing of when you're going to the bars, maybe if you're going to just have a couple drinks next to you.
Starting point is 00:25:56 know you meet a bunch of friends that sucks you can't keep drinking well with bring me a body you can keep drinking that person's going to drive you it's so much about bars with him all the time everything's about bars bars listen not your best idea but there's still there's still something there's always just something to his ideas what's your favorite so far mine might be turned down for what yeah mainly because it has a song but i mean noon or it was good so ramundo's shark tank ideas this one is called bring me a body yes your last one was called the nooner because when you want to take a nap at lunchtime and you want to split up the workday you're going to be more efficient more productive at in the second half of the workday
Starting point is 00:26:34 so it's a thing you need a nap so they bring you a nap station exactly and that's when you get a nooner people can get lunch but right now without my business invention there's no such thing as a nooner okay and then you're up for your first one was turn down for what right before you're about to go to bed it sucks turn off lights taking out the trash taking the animals for a walk you bring in me Turn down for what. That's when my business comes in. We do all that for you. You just go to sleep.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Again, three ideas that I'm not going to invest in. And the names are all catchy. Oh, the guy almost has good ideas. Ideas that really no one else has had before. But Amy, your favorite is? Turn down for what. All that people tweet me and they'll say, hey, it's Saturday night. I really wish your business turned down for what was invented and it's already here.
Starting point is 00:27:23 If he adds, he'll wash your face for you. Oh, wow. Turn down for what? Yeah. Like if I just have to lay there and he washes my face and then tucks my kids in and puts everybody to bed. But Amy, it's not always going to be Ray because Buddy South Beach could work. Do you want him rubbing your face? Yeah. Well, fine. Whoever it is. No, I'm sure you could request only female. No. I would. Yeah, like when you go get a massage, you can say you only want a female.
Starting point is 00:27:47 Raymondo. Yeah, thank you, Sharks. And that's the thing. I bring the ideas. Hopefully you guys can bring the money. Thank you so much. How he's done. All right. I don't feel like getting body is going to make it. Of the three, what is your favorite? If you had to invest, which one? The Nooner. Yeah, some of that one. There's something there.
Starting point is 00:28:06 I agree. I agree. I think the mobile napping pod. Yeah, this is the napping place where they'll come to you. Bray, there's something there, man. Yeah, absolutely. Golly. How much do you need for Nooner? We don't know yet.
Starting point is 00:28:19 A lot of these need 100,000. That's just his go-to. A lot of these. What would you do? It's what you did. Somebody called today. It's like, hey, Ramundo. I'm a guy. I invest. I'm going to give you $100,000.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Boom. I'll go open up a storefront downtown right now. I really think a mobile is the way to go. You put it on a bus. And you can just get one of these old tour buses from an artist. Just call Garth. See if he has the extra bus you can borrow to test out the model. Say, Garth. I'm working on doing some Nooner's. Can I borrow your bus? Right.
Starting point is 00:28:51 See what he says. All right. Thank you, Raymond. Yes. There he is. Ramundo here on the Bobby Boat show. No, Nooner has legs. It does have some legs. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 00:32:46 Ray Bundo, what you got? In Washington, D.C., a man set himself on fire near the White House. He was engulfed in flames. He's in the hospital now. There was also a suspicious package on fire that security was able to extinguish. In Arkansas, the Arkansas River is flooding. It's reached its highest level in recorded history. One person has died.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Hundreds of homes have flooded. And finally, in the Stanley Cup finals, St. Louis beat Boston three to two in overtime. So the series is now tied one game apiece. Brittany's on in Massachusetts. Hey, Brittany and Massachusetts, what's happening? Hi. You good? I just wanted to call it and tell you how much I love the I bought a deep song.
Starting point is 00:33:22 It literally describes Jeep drivers to a T. I am a deep owner and I love them. Oh, well, thank you very much. Here's Ashlyn in Oklahoma. Hey, Ashton, welcome to the show. Hi. What's happening? Oh, I just wanted to call and say I got tickets to see you in Eddie in Oklahoma City, and I'm so excited.
Starting point is 00:33:41 Oh, another raging idiots fan. Eddie, we're building quite the fan base. That's awesome. That's 11 now. Yes. That's 11 people. We're shooting for 15. In the fan club.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Well, thanks, Ashland. I appreciate that. And thanks for calling. Do you see the guy that got pulled over and he told the cops, he told the cops his name was Ben? See this? Ben Dover. Oh.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Yes. They're like, sir, what's your name? And he's like, Ben. They're like, what's your last name? Dover. Ben, Dover. Yeah, no, I get it. Yeah, no, I get it.
Starting point is 00:34:08 Why do you do that? I guess he didn't want to tell him his real name and he got a $500 fine for it. Oh. What's the charge on that? False identification or something probably. Being an idiot. Fair enough. Why even would you tell a cop that?
Starting point is 00:34:22 A man who identified himself as Ben Dover when police found him in a Florida Park has been fined for obstruction. That's what it is. They said, hey, what's your name? It says, Ben, who? Bend over. Speaking of Ben's, which is your husband's name. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:38 He has a burner Instagram account I learned. Yeah. Because the guy's, he's not on Instagram. Yeah, he's not. I mean, I guess, I don't, do you call it a burner Instagram? He has some Instagram that he uses to follow you, me, the show. He doesn't comment or post. anything. It's just to follow along.
Starting point is 00:34:57 Does he have a picture up there? Nope. I mean, I don't know if he's a fake picture or just like the Who knows? It's not him. I don't even know what it is. This is a clip from Amy's midweek 5th thing podcast. My Q&A podcast. And silently stalk you? And see if you're... It's Amy's husband talking about his burner account. And silently stalk you? And see if you'll actually answer them. You are on Instagram with some fake account, or not fake, but like not active.
Starting point is 00:35:23 Like you don't have a picture. But I've told you that I am. But I have no idea what it is, but you do it so you can follow me in the show and see what's going on. Well, yeah, sometimes I'm traveling. I want to see what's going on and you don't answer the phone or it's late at night and I can see the pictures. So don't act like that's weird that I'm like, have you ever set up an email? I'm so uncomfortable right now. I'm listening to Mom and Daddy fight.
Starting point is 00:35:39 I don't like it. We're not fighting. I always feel like Amy's husband. It's such a good sport and he comes on everything that she asks him to. But he's always annoyed that he has to, but he does it anyway. Yeah, that one I definitely kind of, we got back in town and we were leaving and he was in the car with me. I was like, oh, I got to go by work and do something like now, so you can come in with me. It'll take 15 minutes.
Starting point is 00:36:00 But your 15 minutes is not 15 minutes. It took his 20. Yeah. Check it out. Amy has a new four things up today, though. Yeah. What are the four things on your podcast today? Well, we have the Army specialists on that we're doing Pimp and Joy for just to get a little
Starting point is 00:36:14 bit more into his story. I have like a story about bananas that, like, I was shocked when I learned this about bananas. Underarm detoxing is a thing. And also finding your. purpose. Check it out. Four Things with Amy Brown. That's a podcast you can listen to after the show is over today. It's a Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 00:36:33 Lunchbox, I found this story for you. A Florida man was surprised as he goes to the bathroom and a ball python slid it out of his toilet and bit him as he was on the toilet. No. No, no, no. The Coral Springs Police Department said firefighters and the Coral Springs
Starting point is 00:36:50 Humane Unit responded to the apartment building after the man found the snake in his toilet at 4 a.m. The man who said he did not know what the snake was attempting to do or if he was trying to go down the toilet or come up the toilet received a bite and
Starting point is 00:37:06 it was a non-venomous snake. It was trying to eat him. That's what he was trying to do. The ball python was taken to a reptile center. They say they do not know where the snake came from. Meaning from the ground like up to the system or if somebody in an apartment next door had one and it went through the toilet and came out.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Oh my goodness. Lunchbox. I think about that every time I sit down on the toilet. Every time. Every time? Every time. Every time. Every time.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Every time. Every time. Every time. Every time. Every single time I sit down, I'm like, man, do not let this be the time a snake comes up and gets me. So you say a little prayer. Yep. Basically.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I say a prayer to the toilet God's like, hey, if there's a snake down there, let them stay in there. What is your snake, Amy? Lunchbox hates snakes. Even talking about it makes the skin crawl What is it for you that makes your skin crawl? Like a trinchola A what, excuse me? Tarantula?
Starting point is 00:38:02 So like spiders, tarantulas? Yeah, like spiders with big legs. If they're tiny, okay, I can squash them. But like a big old spider, so gross. I think mine's needles? Huh? Needles. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:18 But I mean. No, no, no, no, but I mean. But I mean, if you're near a needle, a needle can't just crawl on you in the middle of the night. It can't crawl up a toilet. I'm going to tell you, I got lectured a couple days ago. I went to the doctor and had to get vaccinations. And so they're vaccinating me. And she stabs me with the needle and goes, whoa, buddy.
Starting point is 00:38:37 She goes, when you run away like that, I got to do it again. And I was like, I ran away. She goes, yeah, you basically jumped out of the chair. Yeah, you can't do that. So I'm like, where's what you have to do? I said, don't tell me it's coming. Just hide it. And bam, pop me with it.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Because otherwise, I'm going to run every time. I have two choices when I see a needle. Run or run. So I don't need to see it. Yeah. The thought, and I hate when TV shows do this, when they show needles or going into something or a knife being stabbed into someone,
Starting point is 00:39:04 there's no need to show that on shows. What's that killing Eve? And there's a lot of that. We can insinuate and just be like, I don't need that. So needles, tarantulas, snakes for lunchbox. Eddie? I guess snakes is mine.
Starting point is 00:39:18 I mean, I feel it. There's really not one, though. Just walking in the grass and something moving, they'll freak me out. Morgan, too, anything? Yeah, I hate ticks. If I have to pull a tick off my dog, it's a whole ordeal. It's terrible. What if it's a tick on you?
Starting point is 00:39:32 I haven't ever had one on me, but I've had to pull one off of my dog and it was bad. You never had ticks? Me neither. I had one like last week. Oh, I had ticks all the time. Growing up in Arkansas in the woods, ticks were just such a normal part of life. You would just go home and check yourself for ticks every day. And what do you do?
Starting point is 00:39:50 Do you get lighter or something? No. A match. I think you burn it. No, no. You guys are just reading these city tales. Yeah, Google. But what do you do?
Starting point is 00:39:56 You just take your, and you pull them off with your fingers. But what if the head stays there? On a seed tick, which is a whole different kind of tick, occasionally you have to do something like get tweezers. Or I guess you can burn it off if you want. But ticks were just prevalent. You lived in the woods. Ticks were everywhere. All over your ankles, your arms, your back.
Starting point is 00:40:14 We camped, which meant you just went out in the wood and slept for a couple days. That was a hardcore camp. Yeah. No, no, no, no. Not backyard. We just go in the woods and camp. You get ticks all over you. Yeah, but dog ticks are different things. Those big ones? Ugh. That gross. Yeah, now I'm thinking, no. Raymond doing anything for you?
Starting point is 00:40:35 Yeah, probably Alligator. Have you ever seen Alligator? Yeah, whenever they wrestle them at zoo. I can't go see it. What are you? What are you? To go to the zoo. What's what? Raymond was like, I don't know, a nuclear bomb.
Starting point is 00:40:46 We're like, what did you? Have you ever been around? But alligators? Yeah, we went canoeing and they would say there might be some alligators. And I'm like, oh, turn around. So you didn't go canoeing because there might be alligators? Well, we were in the mangroves and we took the canoes out. I can't stand alligators. What about crocodiles?
Starting point is 00:41:04 Same thing. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This guy named Dan Dan D Miller was riding his motorcycle, and he's at Pennsylvania. And traffic comes to a stop because there is an injured bald eagle. in the middle of the road. So he's on a motorcycle, so he puts his kickstand down and swings his leg over.
Starting point is 00:41:25 And he walks over to the bird, and he's like, oh, man. So he picks up the bird because he can tell that it's injured. He wraps the eagle in his flannel shirt that he takes off, keeps it safe on the side of the road, call state troopers. They arrive. They bring out a bird rescue expert. The eagle was taken, treated for injuries. And then when the eagle got better, they did a whole thing where they were released in it.
Starting point is 00:41:50 They flew away. I stopped, cuddled the bird, saved it, and then they videoed it flying back into the safety of Mother Nature. Have you all ever seen a bald eagle? Yeah, it's beautiful. Once or twice only. At Auburn games, I have. Oh, yeah, that's cool, too.
Starting point is 00:42:05 Well, yeah. We saw a St. Louis Cardinals game, too. And a Cardinals game, but you're talking about, like, in nature, right? Once or twice. Yeah, I see one. I'm going to see one in July. There's one that lives in Colorado where we, at my husband's sister's place where we stay. It's like it has a tree and a net, like it hangs out there and we see it every summer.
Starting point is 00:42:23 Pretty cool. So it just, it's not put there. It just stays there. No, it's where it just lives. They're big. They're wingspan. Yeah. I always think I see it flying and I'll be like, oh, there it is.
Starting point is 00:42:33 My husband's like, not it. Pigeon. And then when you finally do see it, it's obvious. You're like, oh, yeah, duh, that's it. The wingspan of an eagle is between six and seven and a half feet. So as tall as I am. Cool. I guess I'm a little taller.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Doctor said I was 6'1. Okay. Doctor did say I was 6'1. Get out of here. I promise. I promise. I promise. All right.
Starting point is 00:42:57 That was tell me something good. Bobid Bones show. Bonehead. Story of the day. This story comes to us from Albuquerque, New Mexico. A man walked into a fast food restaurant, filled out a job application, said, hey, please call me. I'd love a job. Walks outside.
Starting point is 00:43:12 He sees two employees sitting in a car, and he's like, man, I could use that car, goes out, pulls out a knife and says, give me the car. So he carjacks him, takes the car, and they had his address because he had just filled out a job application. Oh, man. I would imagine this isn't his first bonehead moment ever. No, he has quite a rap sheet, and he was on probation for stealing another car. Oh. I would just imagine that if you make a bad decision like this, it's not your first ever bad decision. Like, you're probably a bad decision maker in general, and he was just bound to get caught. But that is for sure what a bonehead is. There you go. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story the day.

Starting point is 00:47:15 Shit. A woman of Florida spanked her stepson with a belt. How do you feel about that? Like belt spankings? I got spanked to the belt. I don't, though. We use a little wooden spoon. Is that any better?
Starting point is 00:47:32 For a pop-in? I've often said, because I got spankings too. I think I got wuppens. Yeah. I think it's regional, depending on what you call it. That just because it happened to us doesn't mean. it should happen to the next round of people. I think we should get spanked our whole lives or not at all.
Starting point is 00:47:47 Like we should be consistent with our spankings. Okay, so is that what's happening here? Well, here's the thing about this. A woman in Florida spanked her stepson with a belt from missing his curfew. He's 26 years old. She was arrested for domestic battery. There's a lot happening here. Why does he have a curfew at 26?
Starting point is 00:48:02 There's a lot happening here. The woman was named Valerie. Her stepson got home in half hour after curfew, so she grabbed a belt and spanked him. He's 26. She whipped him 11 times across the butt. He was like, stop. She said, no, you were 30 minutes late, so you get 30 licks. Wow.
Starting point is 00:48:17 Meaning she saw it 19 to go. Oh, my goodness. He called the cops. She was arrested for domestic battery. The only thing I can think about the curfew thing is that it's her roof. Yeah. You follow her rules if it's her roof. But you probably don't spank them.
Starting point is 00:48:29 You probably just kick them out. Yeah, there's something more going on there. Like, she, I don't know. There is something more and something weird. Glad everybody's here. Today is May 30th. It's a special day for Dolly Parton. Do you know this?
Starting point is 00:48:42 I don't. Well, this day and country music here. The Bobby Bohn's show on this day in country music. It's Dolly Parton's 53rd anniversary, her wedding anniversary. Wow. She's been running to Carl Dean for 53 years. She doesn't use his name publicly, but she does say that her name is Dolly Parton Dean, and that she sometimes uses Dean when signing contracts.
Starting point is 00:49:03 Did you know that? I had no idea. Did that Dolly Parton's last name is Dean? Nope. Dean, who is retired from running an asphalt road paving business, Shun's publicity rarely accompanies her to any events. According to Dolly Parton, he has only seen her perform once. She's also said in interviews that although it appears they spend little time together,
Starting point is 00:49:20 it's simply that nobody sees them publicly. It's not that they spend little time together because he chooses not to go out. In 2016, they have renewed their wedding vows for their 50th anniversary, and she sold the photos from this ceremony as part of a benefit for her charity, the Imagination Library. It got a nice hefty penny for that. Wow. Happy 53rd wedding anniversary to Dolly Parton.
Starting point is 00:49:40 Dean. Have you met him? No. You've seen him? Nope. Who is this guy? I know. I bet he's hot.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Yeah. Dahl is awesome, man. When she sings it, and that's her song that she wrote, it feels sad. Then the Whitney Houston sings it. I was listening to music last night, Amy. And I was going to bring this up a couple days ago, and it's funny that you had mentioned the same song. Walker Hayes has a new song that it's just like, it gives you. Because I had mentioned even.
Starting point is 00:50:18 I think like two or three weeks ago he had emailed me a song. Oh, is this the one? This is the one. Oh, I didn't know. Yeah, it's called Don't Letter. And it's like, how he even thought to write a song from that perspective is like, oh, heavy. And Walker Hayes is a friend of ours, a really good friend of mine. And I like it when he does the really personal stuff.
Starting point is 00:50:37 More so than when he just tries to write a hit song. And so this song's called Don't Letter. Do you know what it's about? I do. It's like if he's gone, like assuming he dies and Lainey has a lot. wife remarries. It's almost like a song, like a letter to the guy taking his place saying if she
Starting point is 00:50:54 misses me, don't let her. Have you heard this song yet? No. All the words tell him how she likes her coffee and her favorite restaurant. It's, it's, dude. You sound so deep. She don't get food since about money, nice little coffee and her honey. Let her sleep later.
Starting point is 00:51:12 She wants home is her favorite restaurant. Don't you dare come home if you hammer Better watch your mouth than your gram. She loves babies, hates glitter. You better shave her for you kiss her. And if she ever misses me,
Starting point is 00:51:31 please don't let her. She's insecure about her legs right? It's pretty wild. Wow. Oh, yeah, it's one of those. The first time I heard Walker, it's put out music. It was back eight tracks. And I was, like, played it on the air.
Starting point is 00:51:44 And I was like, oh, this stuff, like, moves me a little bit. and this is called Don't Letter If I'm giving you a song to stream or download today This is from Walker Hayes I'll play a little bit of real quick She always said of something ever Happen to me she would never Fall in love again
Starting point is 00:52:04 What a waste We always said we go together But if I'm just half of her forever This goes out to whoever Takes my place And first of all, isn't that a crazy song? That he would think to write that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:22 He's like, no one ever wants to think about that. It's called Don't Letter. Check it out. I think you'll love it. You can tweet or put it on the Facebook page if you do. Remember when KFC said if you name your kid after KFC will give you a bunch of money? How much money was it? $11,000 towards college.
Starting point is 00:52:40 And that was the whole story. For the baby. We were like, who would name their kid Harlan? Because that was the colonel's real name. Amy met the person who won the month. money. Yeah. I know. So I was in Southern Pines, North Carolina, and we were out to eat, and I guess a girl that works at the restaurant we were at, yeah, like, it's small towns, everyone knows everything. They're like, yeah, her baby was born on September 9th, and they named
Starting point is 00:53:04 it Harland and got the KFC money. Wow. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? Like, I was like, oh, wow. I mean, first of all, like, these things really happen. I mean, companies put these stuff out there all the time to make the news and talk about it, but it really happens, and it's cool. Do they call the baby Harlan? Yeah, I think they call her. It is Harlan, but maybe call her Harley for short or something, I think. But the more I sat with it, I was like, Harlan is a girl name is actually super cute, and they have a little nickname for her.
Starting point is 00:53:33 So, and they have money towards her college already. I wonder when they did that. Do they just give it to one person? They gave it to a bunch of people. I didn't, when we were talking about it. We didn't ask her about it when we were at the restaurant, but we started talking about and I was like, oh, maybe, because, I mean, they filled out the paperwork. They did it.
Starting point is 00:53:46 You have to like send it in. And then, so then when I was researching it to make sure, like, everything, I was like, I read more about it. And it said, yeah, it was to the first baby born on September 9th. So I guess they had to prove the timestamp of when the baby was born and you submit it. Risky. What if you're second or third and you've already named your kid Harlan? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:08 I guess you could go change it. That's funny. That's weird. You met that person. I know. The Babon Ball Show. Here's Amy's pile of stone. So buying concert tickets might just be getting a little bit more expensive if you want an aisle seat.
Starting point is 00:54:23 Live Nation recently started selling aisle seats at certain shows with an additional $5 charge to the ticket price because they say that it's convenient for you if you want the aisle seat. I don't like the aisle seat. I like the middle. Really? Because baby. Why don't you just meet me in the middle? Yeah, I like to meet my friends in the middle. I know I like to be like in the middle of the stage.
Starting point is 00:54:43 I like to be centered up a little bit. I get why you like the aisle because you can get up and go to the bathroom. You have to bother people. It is tough because I like the window seat on airplanes. And I fly a lot, but I have to do this. Excuse me, I got to pee. Because I drink so much water before I get on a plane. Same.
Starting point is 00:54:57 And they act like, some people are just like, and they unbuckle and they get up like it's a pain, right? Well, it is a pain. I know, but they don't need to show it all over their face. And he's right. Some people act like it's the biggest inconvenience in the world. And I'm like, have you ever had to use the restroom? That's what it sometimes. I want to be.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Amy? I want to say that to someone one day that did that to me. I thought in my head and I really wanted to say it out loud. They're lucky I wasn't hormonal because I really wanted to be like, have you never had to pee? But then they say, no. But they're like, why don't you use the bathroom before we go? I did. I have to go again. Remember that when your kids said that to you in the car? Yeah. I don't want anybody to have to hold their pee. That's the worst. Like right now, I'm holding it right now. I have to be right now and it's brutal. Like, I need a song. I, um, break.
Starting point is 00:55:49 Speaking of flying, Morgan Evans did the latest Bobbycast. And this is Morgan Evans song right here, kiss him, buddy. Sometimes you got to kiss somebody. This is my podcast. And so he came over to my house and we're talking. And he, like me, we fly around a lot for work. And we did, we compared airline points, free airline points from flying. And who won?
Starting point is 00:56:08 I did. Oh, wow. I figured he'd be going like back and forth for Australia. Yeah. No, we did. Southwest because he was put in Southwest magazine like I was. And so we compared Southwest points. And I just used a bunch, but I have like $400,000.
Starting point is 00:56:23 Wow. And he has like... Who's your companion these days? Mike D. Oh, yeah, does. Makes sense. And he has like $389,000, which we have so many points. But we don't ever have to use them because work keeps flying us everywhere.
Starting point is 00:56:34 Yeah. So why would you use points when work's going to fly and pay for it? Anyway, that's on the latest Bobbycast if you want to check that out. Podcast I do from my house with artists and songwriters. Amy, what else do you have over there? Well, Chipotle is running a new promo during the NBA finals that will result in free food for you. So I thought I'd give you a heads up. Every time the announcer say the word free during an NBA finals game, Chipotle will tweet out a code.
Starting point is 00:56:57 If you're one of the first 500 people to text that code to the number 888-22-2, free burrito. Why would they say free? Free throws. Free throws. Free, yeah. Yeah, free throw. They always say like, oh, free throw percentage tonight. for is so free throw. Okay, what about...
Starting point is 00:57:14 Oh, that was a foul. They're going to the line for free throw. Yeah. What other context with the word free we brought up in a basketball game? Well, he had a wide open look. He was free for ages. That doesn't really fit. He's now a free agent. Oh, we can be a free agent next year. Wow.
Starting point is 00:57:33 That's written in the article. No, it's not. Wow, dang, hater. It's not. I literally thought of that on my own. It's not on my paper. That's good. That is really good.
Starting point is 00:57:42 Thank you. So game one of the NBA finals is between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors tonight. Tune in. Don't forget, the number is 888-222. Get the code. That's fun. Isn't that fun? You should do basketball.
Starting point is 00:57:55 You should have to do basketball. Now that I know what I'm talking about. I did college basketball play about play for a couple years. You did? Yeah. Were you the main dude or the color guy? No, I was the main dude. Well.
Starting point is 00:58:07 Play by play, right? Yeah, color guy. You got to kind of know all the intricacies. I was like, when I played in the league, Chuck. You know, I was the play-by-play guy. All right, what else, Amy? Well, now for the important one for the summer, sunscreen. We're not using it correctly.
Starting point is 00:58:22 Did you know that when you're out in the sun? Like, first of all, you got to apply it 15 minutes before you go outside. Like, if you're already outside and you're like, I'm going to put on my sunscreen now. That's what we would do normally right? No. So go ahead and plan ahead. Put it on all over your body before you go out into the sun, the pool, the beach, whatever. But do it 15 minutes before you get exposed to.
Starting point is 00:58:41 the sun. And then, yeah, if you're going to be out there, you got to reapply it every two hours. What I do is, oh, I have a sunburn. I should put on some sunscreen and make it go away. It's too late. Oh, that's not how old. And, you know, I bet you're one of the same people. If it's cloudy out, you're like, ugh, I don't need. Yeah, who needs it? But there's still UV rays, even if the sun is not out, still affecting you. So you still have to wear sunscreen in the clouds. Bones, what did you say? That was so funny the other day. Oh, Bones forgets to put sunscreen on because he has a fake spray tan. Same, same, same.
Starting point is 00:59:12 I was like, I already got a base tan, yes? Why don't I need a lot on sunscreen? You sound like my kids. I'm like lathering up them with sunscreen. And they're like, mom, our skin is brown. We're fine. We don't need it. And I'm like, no, you do.
Starting point is 00:59:25 Yes, all skin needs sunscreen. So I lather them up. Yeah, I got burnt pretty bad. My spray tan did not work as any sort of lubricant for the sun's rays to slide on off. Yeah. I just feel like we're entering into summer. So just some reminders there in case you weren't already doing that stuff. It is summertime.
Starting point is 00:59:45 No. And as you get older, trust me, if you're listening to me right now and you're in your teenager, you're in your 20s, start wearing all of the sunscreen in the hats now. We're at the bed. I laugh at her up probably go to bed now. I just sunscreening me up. When you're 38, creeping on that 40, you're going to be like, oh, I wish when I was younger I had worn more and more sunscreen.
Starting point is 01:00:05 Nicole Kidman did it right. She's always, she's never in the sun. And her skin is so beautiful. There you go. Never get in the sun. Okay. A couple things I want to mention. First off, coming up at top of the hour, Army specialist Scotty West, who we're going to try to build a house for him on Friday.
Starting point is 01:00:21 He had both his legs. He lost both his legs an ID blast. And we're going to talk to him and hear a story a bit, but also talk about how we as a show will be able to help him. So that comes up in the next few minutes. The investigative corny often happens to top of the hour. That's going to happen a little later. Right on happen after that. So just a heads up for everyone that set their calendar.
Starting point is 01:00:40 by the investigative morning corny. That'll be a few minutes later this morning because we will have Army Specialist Scotty West on the phone. So that is still happening. And if you'd like to come and watch Eddie and I in our comedy music show The Raging Idiots, If you're in Chicago or Denver or San Antonio, go to Ragingidiotts.com and get tickets before they all sell out. Ragingidiotes.com. Amy, I believe that is it. You are now able to close the pile.
Starting point is 01:01:03 I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. Starting point is 01:04:06 details. Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my hose.

Starting point is 01:04:56 So as a teenager, 80 years ago, this woman, Helen, she couldn't afford to go to her high school prom because money was super tight. It was the middle of the depression. So she skipped it altogether. Well, now she's 97 years old. And her granddaughter was helping her check things off her bucket list and realized that going to prom was on there. So she reached out to this grandma's old high school in Rhode Island and asked the principal if she and her grandmother could go to the prom together.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Wow. And she got permission. They dressed up, went to prom, danced. And then Grammy was even named honorary prom queen. Come on. That's a good one. Good for her. Good for everybody involved in that one.
Starting point is 01:05:40 Yeah, I love it. Yeah, I do too. I bet that grandma was just crushing some Old Town Road, though. I bet that's a jam at prom right now. Yeah. Yeah, go, go, Grandi. They're probably breaking it. I think that's a big song right now?
Starting point is 01:05:58 Yes. All the proms? I think. Everybody goes crazy when they hear Old Town Road. Yeah, I'm going to take my host. That's a good one. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 01:06:10 The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. Morgan Stapleton shared the first picture of her and Chris Stapleton's new baby. There's no name yet, but it's a boy. Oh, does that have a beard? No beard. But she posted on Instagram. It's hard to believe it's almost already been a month.
Starting point is 01:06:28 My heart is so full. The baby cries like this. like this beautiful Stapleton crying boys. All right, what else, Morgan, number two? John Party revealed the list of songs that will be on his next album that comes out, September 27th. But one of those songs is a collaboration with Lauren Elena called Don't Blame It on Whiskey. And the song was actually written by Eric Church and Miranda Lambert.
Starting point is 01:06:50 Wow, that's a lot there. Lauren Elena and John Party, two dear friends, they're on my family feud team whenever we play. Oh, that's right. And I didn't ask them together, ask them separately. because I'm close to both of them outside of the show. And so it was me, Amy, Lunchbox, and party and Lauren. When is that aired? Do you know still? The commercials are saying June 9th is the first episode.
Starting point is 01:07:11 There's no way we're the first episode, because I'm not famous enough if you put it. They may probably last. I'm not sure, but probably somewhere in that last pile. But it starts in June and runs through the whole summer. And then the CMT Music Awards have added more performers for next week's show. The latest editions include Little Big Town. Keith Urban, Luke Holmes, and Zach Brown band. Plus, there's going to be some collaborations,
Starting point is 01:07:35 including one with Brett Young and Boys to Men, and then Cheryl Crow with Marin Morris. How do we get The Raging Idiots I Bought a Jeep? Please. We get to play that on there. That'd be great. They would love that song. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:46 You know how many people have jeeps to watch CMT? Lots. Pretty like 80%. For sure. Do you make that happen? No, I would try. No one listens to me. Only my people on this show listen to me.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Is that it, Morgan number two? Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skis. There you go. Folks, it's your buddy and my... Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's know. We're transmitting across.
Starting point is 01:08:14 Hey, on the phone right now is Army Specialist Scotty West. What's happening? There it is. How are you doing? What's up? Man, you good? I'm doing good. I couldn't do any better.
Starting point is 01:08:24 Well, I'm glad to talk to you because, you know, I was reading your story a couple weeks ago, and right now you live where? I live in Centerton, Arkansas. Which is up in Northwest Arkansas, near Fayville? Yes, sir. And if I'm right, you've been awarded the Purple Heart. Just say I'm right or not every time. Purple Heart.
Starting point is 01:08:44 Yes, sir. Yeah, come on. Look at this. The Army Good Conduct Medal. Yes, sir. Look at this. The National Defense Service Medal. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:08:54 No, come on. The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Yes, sir. No, come on. The Iraq Campaign Medal. Yes, sir. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The Army Service Reven and.
Starting point is 01:09:06 the parachutist badge. Is all that correct? Yes, sir. Look at this guy on here. I have a hero here. Okay. So, I guess I just want to know, so you're driving, what are you driving in when you hit the IED? I was driving a Hummer. So you're in a Hummer. So you're in a Hummer. Are you passenger, are you driver? Where are you inside the Hummer? I was driving the vehicle. So you're driving, and do you know that there is an IED on the side of the road? Yes. My friend had passed away the day before, and so we realized it was filled in with dirt again, which usually meant there was another IED. But you just didn't know exactly where it was.
Starting point is 01:09:41 You just knew it was around there somewhere? Yes, sir. So you hit it, and then what happens? Are there other people in the Hummer with you? Yes, there was my team chief, gunner, the medic, and the translator. And so in this blast, you lost both of your legs? Yes, sir. Your lungs, I'm going to read some of the stuff here that I know about you,
Starting point is 01:10:04 and you can just make sure I'm right here. Both of your lungs collapsed, and it says you flatlined multiple times. Yes. Now, do you remember this when it happened? I do. Yes, that's one of the crazy things about it. I could tell you every second of it. Wow.
Starting point is 01:10:22 By the way, Scotty West is on with us. Army specialist Scotty West. It says you awoke at Walter Reed Medical Center, and you had 38 surgeries in 30 days. What were they working on over? 30 days on you? My family crests in 14 pieces along with basically golf ball size pieces of my legs missing. They basically, I had about two or three inches below my knees.
Starting point is 01:10:54 And so they were working basically from the time that I got from Iraq to the time that I got to Walter Reed. There was some infection and everything. So they had to go in there and basically cut all that out. and remove it all. And they'd keep going in over and over removing pieces of shrapnel. So it was just time-consuming going in
Starting point is 01:11:13 and then basically coming out of it and having to go back in again, they would sew up the sutures lightly so that it wouldn't heal because they'd have to reopen them the next day. So this happens over a month. So you're out of the hospital now. You're back living in northwest Arkansas.
Starting point is 01:11:30 And if I'm right, you have two children. Yes, sir. A 16-month-old and 8-year-old. You got a baby and an 8-year-old. Wow. And so what we as a show, and when I ever say as a show, I mean, not only this room, but also the people that listen to the show, because we feel like people that listen to our show are us. Like, we represent them. What we're going to do on Friday is we're actually going to raise a whole bunch of money to help build you a house because we feel like it's the least that we can do for a hero like yourself.
Starting point is 01:12:00 I think it's more than what words can describe. I think, though, it's with two kids. kids. That's got to be tough to be able to try to get around with two kids in the house, right? Yes, sir. And so that's what we want to do is all the proceeds are going to go to building an ADA certified home in Arkansas. Scotty West is on with us right now, who lost both those legs into IED blast. And so our Pimp and Joy hats, if you're listening right now, any of the patriotic line, it's all going to go. We don't keep any of the money. And it's going to help out Army Specialist Scotty West.
Starting point is 01:12:35 and man, I mean, I hear your story, and I'm just so thankful for you serving and thankful that you pulled through, thankful that you're talking to me and us on the phone right now. I mean, you've got to feel thankful every single day, right, to all the people who came and also helped you. Yes, I agree. It's a blessing that I'm still here, and I think it's a gone-s sin thing, but I think that God is not through me yet, and I believe that he has a purpose for me. Let me ask you a question, Scotty. This is a serious question.
Starting point is 01:13:04 If I get a little too serious, you let me know. But it's a serious question. Are you a Razorback fan? I am. Okay. There we go. Now we have it. That's right.
Starting point is 01:13:12 Because you know I am, Scotty. You know I'm die hard, right? Yes, sir. All right. Well, listen. And Amy, anything you want to say? I just want to say, I know you've been through so much and, you know, just thankful for your service and so awesome that, you know, you can have this gift for you and your baby and be able to get around better. and hopefully our listeners will, you know, want to spread joy towards you and this mission of helping to build you a new home.
Starting point is 01:13:40 And they'll shop, Pimpin' Joy. And in some way, shape, or form, choose joy and spread joy in your honor during this time. So thank you for sharing your story with us. Come on. Thank you, ma'am. Ma'am. Yeah. I call her ma'am, too.
Starting point is 01:13:54 She doesn't like it at the other one. I do it either, Scotty. Thank you. Thank you. You're awesome. Well, listen. We are, hopefully, we're going to have a good call next week, hopefully. us and you, and we'll give you an update.
Starting point is 01:14:04 Let me tell you about our listeners. They come through 10 times out of 10. So, you know, we've set a goal, and it is our honor to actually be involved in this, and we're going to build your house. And if it wasn't like trademarked, we'd yell, build that house. Or move that, but we can't do that. But we appreciate what you do, and we will talk to you soon, all right, Scott. Thank you so much, Mr. Biden-Bones.
Starting point is 01:14:28 Is it Scott or Scotty? I've been calling you Scotty. It's fine. It's whatever you want. I get called Scotty and Scott and West. And West. All right, Mr. Scott West. We will talk to you next week. All right, my friend? Thank you so much. All right, there he is. I feel like what will be cool for Scotty at least to see around Fourth of July time is if you search the Pimp and Joy hashtag online, everybody reppping like patriotic line or Cammo hats, they'll know like, oh, that went to Scotty's house. Friday, the Pimp and Joy brand collection, including the Camo Hats, will be released at 10 a.m. Central.
Starting point is 01:15:01 whatever you are. 11 Eastern, 10 Central, nine mountain or Amy Pacific. The time is? Eight. There she is. We knew she could do it. I know, I know.
Starting point is 01:15:10 We knew she could do it. It'll be up. Again, we keep no money. And you heard the guy right there. He's a real American hero. And it's the least we can do to help him out and build that house. So, that's good, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:21 No, it's amazing. Yeah, it's good to talk to. Like, I'm already excited about it. Friday. And by the way, I'm going to say this now. We'll probably run out of Cammo hats. Because we don't, we're not making them. Based on the orders we get, we already made them.
Starting point is 01:15:33 Yeah. And we have a few thousand, but that doesn't mean there's a whole patriotic line that's going to go up for sale, and we hope you guys will be a part of that. Starting point is 01:19:33 What? I'm telling you this is a real story A woman reportedly suffered a case Of short-term amnesia Which made her unable to remember anything From the past 10 years of her life After straining too hard on the toilet Due to constipation
Starting point is 01:19:47 Experts say that while unlikely The side effect may be explained by the lack of oxygen to certain parts of the brain because you're pushed too hard. Wow. The woman who strained too hard just lost all the memories. She was like, I don't know anything.
Starting point is 01:20:03 People were like, she's lying it. She's lying. But a neurosurgeon said, nope, they wouldn't examine her brain and that it was insufficient blood flow to the brain. Isn't that crazy? Crazy. That's not cool.
Starting point is 01:20:15 That's why I'm on Miralex. Good, bone. Stay on that stuff. Like the 90-year-old man that I am. Okay, now time for The Investigative Corny. It would be where the morning corny is. But since we had Army Specialist Scotty Weston, we moved it to this segment. And also, let me say this.
Starting point is 01:20:35 We only have 90 seconds to get it right, guys. It makes it harder. It does make it a lot harder. Amy's here. Amy, are you ready with the question? Ready. You'll ask it. And then we as a show, me, Lunchbox, and Eddie as a team,
Starting point is 01:20:45 have to figure out how this joke ends. It's called The Investigative Morning Corny. And you have the timer ready, Mike? I hate that time. All right, here we go. The morning corny. What do you call a lonely cheese? A lonely cheese.
Starting point is 01:21:03 Okay, so what do you call lonely cheese? Okay, dairy. Bobby. I don't know. No. No. Human. It's funny, but no.
Starting point is 01:21:12 What kind of, what's a lonely cheese? Okay, slice, single, single, single, craft singles. What are kinds of cheese? Provalone, cheddar. Brie Parmesan Oh Good one
Starting point is 01:21:25 Lunchbox He just said what you said You know Go ahead I said Parmesan No but he's just Name cheese Yeah name cheese
Starting point is 01:21:31 And you got mad at me for it Here we go How about Is it a type of cheese No it's a guy's name Like Like who I don't know
Starting point is 01:21:42 I'm trying to like Because we had Lonely cheese Nick cheese Ryan Chucky cheese Oh Chuckie cheese Oh
Starting point is 01:21:50 Chuck E. You're talking about a guy. Do you know Chuck E actually that's for Charles Entertainment? No. That's the whole property. Really? That's not the mouse's name?
Starting point is 01:21:57 Well, Chuck E. We're wasting time. Oh my gosh. What are you doing? What's your wasting time? We have 30 seconds. I think it's something with singles. Don't you think?
Starting point is 01:22:07 Like craft single cheese? Slice. Slice. Home slice. Cheese. Cheddar. Boy, we are. What's the joke again?
Starting point is 01:22:19 Amy, what's the joke again? What do you call a long? Only cheese. P. Prove alone. Prove alone. Prove alone. Prove alone.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Prove alone. That's our answer. Our answer is prove alone. Boom. Final answer. Prove alone. Okay. Let's see what the judge says.
Starting point is 01:22:41 Here we go. The morning corny. What do you call a lonely cheese? It better be prove alone. What is a lonely cheese? Prove alone Yay! That was the
Starting point is 01:22:59 Morning Corny! How much time to spare? Five seconds to spare. And we even talking about Chuckie Cheezer a little bit. Yeah, and I even went on the whole thing, how Chuck. Charles. Entertainment. Wow.
Starting point is 01:23:11 What's wrong with us? Dude, we're back. We're back. Y'all better hit your music. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Ready, boys? Clear eyes, full hearts. Can't lose.
Starting point is 01:23:26 Wow. Nice word. Probelone. I feel pretty good about myself right now. Yeah, you should. Thank you. So I was watching this video yesterday, and Lowell Naz-X goes over to this school,
Starting point is 01:23:40 and it's like third graders, second graders, first graders, kindergarteners. And so... They got a camera on them, and they're like, this is the biggest performance in my life, and he's about to walk in. You know, I'm going to do the biggest show of my life. And it's going to be great.
Starting point is 01:23:54 You're going to surprise some kids? Yeah, maybe. Say no more. He walks into like a little gym. Yeah. Have you guys seen this? Yes. No.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Oh, Amy. You have to, I'm going to play it for it, but you have to go watch it after. We'll put it up at bobbybones.com. And so he walks in, and these kids, they're no older than third grade. I'm saying that that's the oldest, maybe. Yeah, a little. And Lil' Knott's X's and his cowboy get up, and he walks in. And they recognize him, and it's like the Beatles and the 50s, man.
Starting point is 01:24:28 And so he starts to perform. and he's just on a little stage that you put in a cafeteria. That's it. And he has a microphone in his hand, and these kids are like, oh, can't even hear him because these kids love and are screaming this song as loud as they can. They know every word. Lean all in my bladder means. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:32 And so, yeah, that was the deal, and it was awesome. And you should watch it. I'll put up Bobbybones.com. They're six. Six. And they're jumping up and down like they're at a spring break party. Like, they're going crazy. It's like Wisconsin football when they jump.
Starting point is 01:25:45 That's what it looks like. That's what it looks like. Oh, man. I got something. And we'll discuss it amongst ourselves. This does come in the form of an email from the mailbag. Bobby's Mailbag. And I'll bring the girl group in here to kind of give me what they think.
Starting point is 01:26:02 Hey, Bobby, I'm in a situation I thought maybe the girls could help me out. My 39-year-old husband dresses like a child. For work, you wears a button-up shirt, jeans or dockers, multi-colored sneakers, and a belt with a large buckle of an animal. Oh. Sounds like a cool guy. I'd hang out with this guy. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 01:26:21 On weekends, he wears a t-shirt with some sort of comic or cartoon logo or character. A comic book character logo hat, jeans, multicolored sneakers. He even has a belt with a comic book character for the weekends. The only people who ever compliment his clothes are teens. He claims that other people at his work dressed the same way. And they do, I guess, but they don't wear a huge belt buckles with animals. I've tried all the hints, buying them nice clothes, shoes. They all get returned or stuffed in the closet.
Starting point is 01:26:50 How do I get him to dress better? Would I be wrong to throw at his old comic book t-shirts? Oh. Yeah, that's not a good thing. I just need that right now. But I'm bringing in the girl group here, and so here they come walking in the studio. There she is.
Starting point is 01:27:07 Amy, how are you? This morning. Doing good. Now, I've been married to my husband for 12 years, and I have some experience with this. Not animal belt buckles, but I think I do have some insight for her own exactly what she can do with all those t-shirts, and it's awesome.
Starting point is 01:27:24 And coming in over here is our head of digital, our social media, our website. Morgan number two, everyone. I'm 25 years old. I'm not married, but I have had a similar situation with my father growing up that we had to get him to kind of change his wardrobe. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:27:41 And finally coming in on the panel, Her name is Utility Hillary. She does a little bit of everything in the glass room and all the offices. Hillary, everybody. There she is. I'm 26 years old, and my fun fact, I recently just started watching Friday Night Lights. You have? That was such a good.
Starting point is 01:27:55 Yeah, I've never seen it before. I haven't either. What do you think? It's good. It's good. It's good or real good? It's really good. I like it so far.
Starting point is 01:28:01 I'm on season one. She said really good. Yeah, no, she did a shoulder shrug, though. I'll come back to you in a week. Okay. All right. All right, so let's start with this. Amy, what do you think?
Starting point is 01:28:08 What does she do in order to help her husband with this wardrobe selection? Okay, well, I mean, you can't throw out the comic book t-shirts, but what you do is you make him a quilt out of the shirts. So my husband didn't want to get rid of any of his high school t-shirts, and I was like, it is time to let these go. Like, you do not need these taking up space in our drawers. So I found a woman that made t-shirt quilts, and she put them all together. And then now they live on this cool blanket, and he can snuggle up with that on the weekends whenever he would normally be wearing the shirt. he now can just sleep with the shirts or something or have it on the couch or it can still be a part of his life but not on his body. And we know it's like Betsy Ross of today.
Starting point is 01:28:53 He'll think it's thoughtful. Like you're not getting rid of his stuff. My husband still has the blanket. I did this 10 years ago. That blanket's amazing. Morgan number two, what are your thoughts? I say don't throw anything out because it'll make him mad. but you have to kind of convince him that he's going to like it.
Starting point is 01:29:13 So take him out for a shopping trip, find him something that he's comfortable wearing, and even tell him that he can pick something out for you to wear and ease him into the process of liking these things. She's going to wear. Hold on spider girl. You have to convince him that he likes it. It's all about perception.
Starting point is 01:29:34 Just basically make him think he's going to like this new outfit look. Okay. Hillary, your thoughts? I feel like she's already tried the shopping thing, so I don't really know if there's anything she can do. This is the person he is. Like she knew that going into it, marrying him, that he dresses like this. So why change him now? She knew that's the person he was.
Starting point is 01:29:51 So I really don't feel like there's much she can do if that's what he wants to wear. Interesting. I like that one. You can change it. Style can change. This is such an extreme, though, that I'm having a hard time trying to figure out exactly what to do because my husband wasn't that. all over the place. But I've tweaked the way he...
Starting point is 01:30:12 He dresses so cute now. I think... I mean, I think your answer is there. You tweaked. You tweak it. You can't change it. You can't change anybody. But you can shift by saying,
Starting point is 01:30:26 hey, if you do this, I'll do this. Whatever that is. You've got to make a deal with the guy. Life is a negotiation. Every situation is bendable. Every single one of them in life. And so you have to go, hey, listen, you look a little nutty.
Starting point is 01:30:37 And I like that you're you. But at these certain times, can we change this? And if so, I'm going to, myself, I'm going to let you pick something that you can change. You all kind of on it, I think. But if you just go to the dude and you attack him and be like, you dress stupid, nothing's going to change. And offer incentive like, hey, if you wear this, I might be more attracted to you. Wow. That's kind of shallow, though.
Starting point is 01:31:03 Yeah. No, no. No, no. I'm trying to like find a round about. The guy takes off his Black Panther beltball. so now you're going to give him some. I mean, come on. Because he probably thinks the Black Panther belt buckle is like, well, does that, ladies?
Starting point is 01:31:15 Okay, fine. I don't know. Maybe that's bad, but I feel like that's worked for me sometimes. Okay. Listen to this. Maybe it's like, if you take off your deadlift shirt, Mommy. What is wrong with? Okay, listen.
Starting point is 01:31:31 What? There's a thing wrong with that. I think collectively, you guys are saying, we have to give her some advice, a piece of an execution point. What are we telling her? What did you guys agree on, Amy? I would say you tweak it, make subtle things, don't make it mad by throwing stuff out. Keep it around, but keep it special. The quilt is genius. No, I think the quilt's the dumbest thing ever.
Starting point is 01:31:55 Are you joking? If you take some of my favorite T-Share, like Amy, I have an Arkansas Razorback shirt from like 1997. It has holes in it. I probably have a couple. If you turn that into a quilt, I'll be so mad because I wear those on specific game days. I don't want to wear a quilt. That I wouldn't do. But if you had a drawer full of shirts that just needed, like, they're either going to be
Starting point is 01:32:15 donated or tossed out, then, you know, make them into a blanket. Here is what I, from listening to you guys, I would say that your collective answer is that you're not going to change him. But if you work with him, negotiation-ish, you can actually tweak him in certain areas. Would you agree with that? Yeah. Yeah, I like that answer. that you're not going to change him from his button-up shirt,
Starting point is 01:32:39 multicolored sneakers, and belt with a large animal buckle. And his comic book church. And nor should you. Like, if we feel good, that's it. That's all we want in life. Yeah. If he feels good, let him feel good. If he likes the belt buckle, except maybe to church.
Starting point is 01:32:53 And baby, listen. Yeah. You know, the elephant in church is just a little too much. But, okay, that's the response we're going to give her. Work with him on how you can slightly shift him some of this. time and in some situations. Everybody go to that? And that is what we do.
Starting point is 01:33:09 And that's why the girl group comes in to give us a little sense there. Thank you, girls. There they are again. Bring it in. Utility Hillary is going to update me in a week or so about Friday Night Lights. Yeah, I'll let you know. Thank you. I'm watching Killing Eve now.
Starting point is 01:33:25 I'm almost done with it. But after that, I've got to find another show. Maybe Chernobyl, I mentioned. I just feel like Friday Night Lights, it's such so long ago. Like, I'm jumping into a show that is done. Yeah, it's timeless. It's timeless. Timeless.
Starting point is 01:33:43 to Mickey in Oklahoma. Hey, Mickey. Hi, how are you? Pretty good, what's going on? I just thought I call in and let you know that me and my kids absolutely love your show, and my 10-year-old says that you definitely need to get you a T-shirt quilt. Well, here's the thing. Amy was suggesting a T-shirt quilt for her husband's shirts.
Starting point is 01:34:00 I think a quilt's fun, but if you just go and go rogue and turn all the shirts that he loves into a quilt, he's going to be so mad. You need to have that conversation ahead of time. Yeah, yeah, definitely. And Amy's just like running away and showing up with the magic quilt. Well, here, honey, I did this for you. You're out of your mind. I would get so mad.
Starting point is 01:34:16 Oh, yeah. Definitely, definitely. But, yeah, we absolutely love your show and the kids love the morning corny. Oh, well, thank you very much. Anything else should like to say what we have you? No, I hope everybody has a great day at work.
Starting point is 01:34:29 You know what's funny? We all hope they have a great day, too. See? She just like us. All right, Mickey, have a good day. All right, thank you. All right, see you later. Let's go over and talk to Lacey and Pennsylvania.
Starting point is 01:34:38 Hey, Lacey. Hey, Bob, you watch that. What's happening with you? Not much. I'm on my way into work. I'm so glad I got through. Well, we're glad too. What would you like to say? I just wanted to say that I'm not just D-Bomb, but all of you guys, I think you're really sound to earth and cool and personable. And you guys kind of get me through on the way to work through a really tired wake-up morning. I've got a new baby, so you guys keep me laughing.
Starting point is 01:35:06 How new is the baby? Well, I think he's new now. He's actually almost 10 months. Oh, that's still pretty new. I thought it was like 15. Well, it's 20. Well, listen, we appreciate the call, Lacey. Thank you for listening. You could be anywhere in the world, but you're here with us.
Starting point is 01:35:23 We appreciate that. That's right. Thanks. All right. See you later. Amy, what would you like to say? I don't know. What do you want me to say?
Starting point is 01:35:30 Well, I don't know. You were saying something. I don't want you to interrupt the caller. Oh, yeah. No, I mean, I was just saying it didn't go over well. At first. And now it's a fun little joke that we have years, years later, and we love the blanket. it, and it is better than them just disappearing,
Starting point is 01:35:45 because stuff can disappear. You mean you throw it away, secret. That's very rude. Exactly. That's why you put it on a quilt. Let me tell you about this, Amy over here. Amy right now is in a studio in New York City. That's right.
Starting point is 01:35:59 She's not even with us. She's in a room in New York City because tonight she is hosting the album release of Thomas Red. Yeah. Look who got a call to the big time. Who's doing a national show tonight, live. Yeah. Amy is. And so she's nervous. She called me. She's like, what do I do? And I was like, don't think about it.
Starting point is 01:36:18 There's no need to get nervous this early. Right? Right. I know. I just, I feel like, well, obviously you're busy. So then I feel like if they're like, okay, I guess, yeah, Amy's going to come and do it. And then I'm like, I just want to not, it's double. Like I want to do well, but then make you proud because. You make me proud just existing, Amy. Stop it with that. What did I say? I said, you've done a couple. You've done a great job. He did Kane Brown and Jake Owen and Tom Stratt's a good friend, and he will be easy to interview.
Starting point is 01:36:51 Go up to him before and be like, hey, I'm a little nervous. You guys will be great. You're the best. You don't even know how good you are. How about that? Okay. Well, I mean. You should be nervous.
Starting point is 01:37:01 Listen along. Yes, listen tonight at 8 Eastern, 7 Central, 6 Pacific, 5 Pacific. Mountain Pacific. Whatever. Do the math. Yeah. Live. What's it called? LiveXlive.com is where you can watch.
Starting point is 01:37:16 That's tonight. And remember, if you're nervous, it's because it's worth something to you. And I like that. It's worth something to you. So tonight, Amy will be hosting. I'm very proud of her. Big, big deal. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 01:37:27 With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Sergeant Joseph Richards was on duty in Michigan driving around. He sees a little girl running out into traffic. and he sees a dump truck come in the other direction. He jumps out of his car, grabs the little girl as the dump truck goes flying by. The dump truck slammed on its brakes, but they locked up, and the girl was going to get hit by the dump truck if this cop didn't get out of his car in time and grab her.
Starting point is 01:37:55 Truck was too big to stop quickly? Too big to stop quickly. So he jumped out there and got it. So he could have got hit by the truck too. You know what? That's a hero, man. Someone that puts their life at risk to help someone else. That's what it's all about right.
Starting point is 01:38:08 There. That's a good one. Yeah, thanks for that. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right.
Starting point is 01:38:23 Now, here you. Turn it up. Come, Bobby. Here are the top five songs that keep you calm. I think we all use a little bit of this in our life. And this is according to a bunch of scientists who put those brain things on people. You know, they have a little power. matches they put on people
Starting point is 01:38:39 and they play songs. Okay. At number five, the song will make you calm. Adele. Hello. What if I get so calm I collapse during this segment?
Starting point is 01:38:53 Because you're just, I'm just out. Relax. Chill, man. Number four. Adele. Someone like you. That's a jam too. Don't know.
Starting point is 01:39:14 Hit that. I'm good. I'm good. This is the top five songs that make you calm. We have two Adele songs. At number three, Elton John, your song. And you can tell everybody this is a song. It may be quite simple, but now that it's done.
Starting point is 01:39:40 I hope you don't mind. I hope you don't mind that I put down in words. This is a good one. What does he say here? How wonderful life is, but you're in the world. Man, do you want to see Rocket Man movie Amy or no? Yeah, I do. I'm a little torn.
Starting point is 01:40:01 Why? Because he's alive still. Oh, right. I don't trust he's going to stay a good person. I don't trust anybody will be. I need to see schools get dedicated, roads get dedicated, and movies get made after they're dead. Because if I enjoy it, then all of a sudden it's not.
Starting point is 01:40:16 Like, my hometown puts it, they have a sign up in Mount Pine, Arkansas. driving hometown of boyhood home of Bobby Bones, right? Very cool for me, but I always live under the pressure now that if I do something wrong, then I have to take it down. Amy, if there's a car behind me, that's what I think. If I'm about to get a ticket and I don't, but if I think I'm about to get a ticket, I go, what would they think of my sign? They probably have to take that.
Starting point is 01:40:35 Oh. Like normally you would just flee from the cops, but then you're like, I can't. Because you end up in jail. Yeah. Number two, songs that calm me down. Yeah, if I end up in jail, right. There will be an answer. Let it be.
Starting point is 01:40:48 Come on. You ever read for the number one song? Yes. Here it is. The number one song that helps you de-stress, that makes you calm, that you should play over and over again is... I see trees of green... Louis Armstrong. What a wonderful world.
Starting point is 01:41:12 Red roses, too. I see them blue for me and you. And I think to myself. Such a good song. Now that was before our lifetime, Amy. I'm 39, Amy's 38. But Morgan number two, you're 25. Is that a good song to you or no?
Starting point is 01:41:39 I mean, I wouldn't put it on to play like normally, but if I hear it, it takes me to a cool place. Like, I'm like, this is a cool song. But I wouldn't listen to it normally. You would never pull it up in a playlist and be like, I love this song, just played at the house? No. Is that a great song to you?
Starting point is 01:41:54 Yeah, I think it's an awesome song. It's just not one that I would keep listening. too. Interesting. This is the one that should have made it, because this is like the greatest relaxing song of all time. Come on. Coldplay fixed you?
Starting point is 01:42:09 Yes. I watched the documentary. Amy Coleplay, Headful of Dreams. It's good, man. He talks about this, and when he wrote this, you know, about him and Gwynett.
Starting point is 01:42:19 Yeah. I love Coldplay. I don't care if people say I'm a dork or not. I love Coldplay. And I know sometimes it's not cold like Coldplay anymore. I've never been one to be cool. I love cold play. I love the slow cold play.
Starting point is 01:42:32 I love the anthemic cold play. I love cold play. So stick that in your pipe and smoke it. Cool people? I do. Yeah. Anything you'd like to say, Amy? Yeah, no.
Starting point is 01:42:42 I mean, that one I can't put on my relaxing list because it makes me too sad. Like, I'll be relaxed but sad. I'm going to tell you last night. I was kind of feeling sad last night a little bit. Why? Well, because I get in these talks with friends. I'm having dinner with some friends last night, just a couple friends. and they're like, what's happening with your life?
Starting point is 01:42:59 And I'm like, you know, got projects lined up, you know, going on tour. And they're like, no, what's happening with your life? I said, I just told you. I'm leaving for the show to do for a bit. I got this. It's like, no, no, like, what's happening like inside your heart? And I'm like, well, I got, I'm going to hell of me, no. And so it kind of bums me out a little bit that there's not something there.
Starting point is 01:43:22 So you know what I do? I go home and I listen to, if I can own. If I can only fly Yeah If I can only fly Merle Haggard If I can only fly is my sad song I did this place
Starting point is 01:43:37 Goodbye Come and be with you So I was hitting this a little bit last thing I got a whole list Now I've updated my sad list Oh new songs Yeah it's like Billy Joe Schaver Merrill Haggard
Starting point is 01:43:50 It's a whole different type of set now man Oh man the lonely country guys It is it is It is a lot of will Yeah, it's a lot of... We've got to have Willie in there. A lot of Willie. A lot of blue eyes crying in the rain.
Starting point is 01:44:04 If I can only fly. And I just block it out, Amy, I'm good. I just compartmentalize. I'm like, I got lots of stuff going career-wise. But they're like, no, no, no, what about you? Like, you have vacation coming up. Where are you going to go? And I'm like, I don't know, nowhere.
Starting point is 01:44:19 I don't... Who would I go on vacation with? Or like, go by yourself. Like, I've been never by myself. I'm done. I'm done, doing stuff by myself. If I can only fly I could only fly.
Starting point is 01:44:32 I could only fly. That's a good song, though, huh? Oh, that's a good song. Thank you. I have no idea who you went to dinner with, but I like them. I like that they're challenging you. It was Tom.
Starting point is 01:44:45 Oh. Yeah, you know, I'm a friend Tom. Yeah, Tom. Listen, I go to this dinner with... It's who you took as a date. I know. I know I tell that story. So after American Idol finishes,
Starting point is 01:44:55 they're like, we're going to have this big dinner. I don't know. how fancy it is or not. I'm surprised I get invited to the fancy stuff, to be honest with you. And so they're like, okay, we're going to go. It's going to be all the judges, and Ryan Seacrest was invited. And so I show up, and it's this real nice room.
Starting point is 01:45:10 They escort me to the back. And I'm like, what is happening? They're going to beat me up? I don't know what was happening. And so this guy in a full black suit washed me up to the bag. And it's Katie Perry and Luke and Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Raleigh, and all their significant others. and Katie Perry has Orlando Bloom with her
Starting point is 01:45:29 and I'm like, wow. And they're like, who's your date? And I'm like, there's a Tom. I love that. Everybody there has that. Luke has Caroline's wife, who I love and know. And they're like, yeah, so who's this again? This is Tom.
Starting point is 01:45:45 My friend, Tom. And I like Tom. Don't get me wrong. Tom's awesome. Tom's awesome. But then I go back to my hotel room after. Bye. I can only fly.
Starting point is 01:46:00 I can only fly. Anyway. I did this place goodbye. Come and be with you. Good, though, huh? That's good. But man, it is. It is sad.
Starting point is 01:46:19 Anyway, all those songs turn into relaxing. Sad songs. Let me get this one on again. I like this one. Sad, too. Yeah. Maybe that's just it. Maybe sad is the new column.
Starting point is 01:46:36 I guess. All right. What do you want to hear? I have Thomas Rett 16 up. I can play Amy. Yeah, let's do that. Okay. Well, no other option, but I give you this one.
Starting point is 01:46:46 By the way, Amy will be of Thomas Rett tonight. LivexLive.com, starting at 8 Eastern. Watch the album release of Centerpoint Road. Amy with Thomas Rett. It's going to be a big deal. Amy's nervous. I don't scale a 1 to 10, how nervous are you to do a live broadcast? Sammy. Nine? Wow, too nervous. You're too good and too nervous.
Starting point is 01:47:05 Oh, seven? Yeah, yeah. I'll tell you guys something that I don't watch charts really at all anymore and I don't watch like, like, iTunes charts unless I'm like, I wonder how this song would react with our listeners. And so I did. Before we went on the air this morning, I had some of this Walker Hayes song. And I looked at, I said, hey, Morgan number two, look at the top 200. And was it on there at all this morning. No, it was nowhere on there. It's a brand new song. And it's called Don't Let Her from Walker Hayes. And it's like, hey, if he happens to pass away, he's given
Starting point is 01:47:39 advice to the next guy that would come in and take care of his wife, marry his wife, that kind of thing. And now it's in the 20s. After one play. Yeah. Amy, how would you describe this song? Oh, my gosh. I mean, it's a really beautiful love song. And I feel like if I was his wife, Laney, I was like, okay, he really knows me. And he wants me to find love even after him and he's giving like little tips to my future somebody else of
Starting point is 01:48:09 how I like to live life and oh if it ever were to happen if it were to ever happen like the most selfless song like he doesn't want it to happen but he's like I'm even thinking about me I'm just thinking about her if you haven't heard this song yet let me play it for you oh yeah well because I feel like one of my favorite parts that help sum that up is is she you he says that she'll never move on. Like, she's like, if I lost you, I don't want to be with anybody else. And then his line is, but what a waste. Because he knows the kind of love she has to offer and the kind of person she is, and he wants someone else to experience that too. Oh. We should do a round of celebrities are just like us. I have one. Amy has a couple. Listen, we live in Nashville now and we see celebrities
Starting point is 01:48:55 everywhere because it's just part of people running around. Amy, you go first. Celebrities are just like us. Okay. Reba. Jobs at Kroger. That's awesome. She gets her own groceries and she loads her own car and her car isn't flashy or fancy or anything. She's just like us. Reba's just like us.
Starting point is 01:49:16 Yeah. Isn't that crazy? And everybody left her alone. Are you sure it was Reba? 100%. Oh, unless there's some Reba look alike. Hey, Reba, if you're listening, call us and let us know if that's you grocery shop and a Kroger putting your own groceries in your car.
Starting point is 01:49:35 Yeah. I just can't believe, like, some even the works at Kroger was like, I'm Smat guitar, can help you with the groceries. Yeah. Okay. That's pretty awesome. That's a good one, Amy. That's a good one, Slovak.
Starting point is 01:49:45 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I would like to say celebrities are just like us and they get road rage. Ooh. What happened? I got road rage yesterday by a celebrity. You did? Who?
Starting point is 01:49:55 Wait, wait, it's something you did? They got mad? I don't know why they did what they did. All I know is I'm driving down the road. And I look over. there's an SUV, and they're honking like crazy. And I don't think I swirved. I don't think I did.
Starting point is 01:50:07 It was Jay Going. Oh, dude. And then he texted me, goes, that was me. And so, I don't know if I was driving bad, which I don't, maybe I was driving slow, because I do drive slow. He's getting frustrated with you. But Jake's like nailing his horn at me as we're driving down the road. So, celebrities also get road rage.
Starting point is 01:50:24 Celebrities are just like us. Oh, yeah, I love that. There's Jake going. Amy? Okay, so I was at the airport, flying to New York, and I come across this group of guys and I'm like oh hey what up it's old dominion and they're just like
Starting point is 01:50:38 they've got these deflated looks on their faces and they're sipping beer and they're like we've been here for hours our flight is delayed we don't even know if we're going to make it to Texas for our show and I was like then I went and looked at the board my flight was delayed and I was like stars are just like us yeah
Starting point is 01:50:54 Old Dominion's delayed look at this my t-shirt on it's fun anybody else have a sister just like us did you want to talk about the one like we saw like we saw like five years ago at the airport. I've mentioned that, Keith Urban, running down. I love that one. Amy, where we're getting on a Southwest flight,
Starting point is 01:51:09 and Keith Urban comes running down? I may have mentioned this on the air. And they're like, he's like, home of flight, Cheerio, or whatever. Over the other guy. They're like, a paging passenger, Keith Urban. And he runs down and hops on a Southwest flight. We're like, what planet are we on? Yeah, that's good.
Starting point is 01:51:25 Say, stars are just like us. That's right. Oh, Jake just text me. I wonder if he says I got roe. Rage, or if he was just honking to be funny. But I didn't know who it was at first. Oh, he goes, road rage. Listen, sometimes I drive slow.
Starting point is 01:51:42 It's okay. I drive safe. It's going to be weird. I had my map out on my phone, which is the weird go-between now with being on your phone. Yeah. Like, how do you have your map on your phone and not have your phone? Because I don't text and drive. But I think it's all the same.
Starting point is 01:51:58 But how do you use your GPS, unless you have something now built in your car? to put the phone on there. Do you know what I mean Amy? Yeah, no, I know. We got it. Now he's blowing me up. Uh-oh, is he mad? I don't know. Who cares? I'll honk at him. I do have kind of an announcement to make.
Starting point is 01:52:15 Do you make an announcement here? Yes. Let me get my announcement sheet here. It's not the announcement you're thinking, Amy. Oh. That's not the show. I'm leaving to go do. This is another announcement. Oh, I have announcement music.
Starting point is 01:52:29 My entire life I've dreamt of owning a sports team. It is a dream of mine. Shut up. Well, here's what's happening. There's a new league that is starting this fall. You're buying the spurs. I wish. I always had that kind of money.
Starting point is 01:52:44 It's called the fan control football league. It's a real sports league where fans are in charge. And for the first time in sports, I'm doing this where our listeners can be a part of the team. So fans get to call all the plays, create all the branding, hire the coaches, choose the players. It's like basically, if I could compare it to something,
Starting point is 01:53:00 fantasy football with real players. Like you draft real humans and they play But you get to tell them what to do every play It's so like all of our team Get to like call the plays as it goes And so I am now an owner of one of the teams There are eight owners
Starting point is 01:53:13 What? Yeah Some of the owners are like Chad Ocho Cinco Marchon Lynch Richard Sherman Other NFL players They're bringing in other owners to
Starting point is 01:53:23 Wow And so when it was Hey do you want to do this And have a team and own a team I only wanted to do something That I could get our show listeners involved in And so basically we'd all get, and it's going to be on Twitch, which is the streaming service,
Starting point is 01:53:35 we basically all call all the plays as it happens, and whichever play gets the most votes, the real humans run it in real time. And I think we can win the whole league, because these guys are idiots. Yeah. Yeah, what do they know about football? What do they know about football? Nothing. It's not like they play in the NFL for years. I think guys are idiots.
Starting point is 01:53:51 So there's like a draft. I got to go to the draft. What? And so games aren't a 50-yard field, seven-on-seven, and it's a whole thing. Okay. How many teams again? Total? There are eight teams.
Starting point is 01:54:01 Wow, and you're one of the owners. I own one of the teams. Do you have a name for your team? No, because we get to pick it. Our whole group, all our people on our team, meaning the listeners too, we vote in the team name with the most votes. It's all fan-controlled. So I'm now an owner in the fan-controlled Football League. I'm now a French sports owner.
Starting point is 01:54:21 Wow. And I only wanted to own something that we can do with our listeners. So thank you. Any questions in the press conference? Do I get to play? Absolutely. to be one of the people. You don't get to be on the team. You'll get hurt. I mean, they're real humans playing football. Yeah, but I mean, I get to tell the quarterback what to do.
Starting point is 01:54:41 Absolutely, you do. Yeah, so I'm talking about. If you're like, pull your pants down, do the Margarina. Oh, that would be an option? He's got to do it. They probably have to do that. So it's like, um, hell Mary. It's like, that's a one, she knows one place. That's the place she knows. She's going to run a Hail Mary all the time. She's like, it's like, TechMobile. You just hell Mary every time. For Bo Jackson. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love that. So it's full pads, full contact, everything.
Starting point is 01:55:05 What? What? What? What? And so, anyway, I'm now, there's not a name of the team yet because we haven't named it. We haven't voted and named it yet. Yeah. So, there we go.
Starting point is 01:55:16 Think something like sombreros, like, you know. The ponchos. Why? I don't know. Sounds cool. And no other teams name that. Well, not yet. No, you want an animal, don't you?
Starting point is 01:55:26 What animal would you pick? They could be any name? Anything. Anything you want? man the bulls the bobby bones of all the teams she goes I'm gonna be real original here
Starting point is 01:55:39 okay the tigers Durham Bulls Amy go ahead okay you want me to go a little bit more far out yeah okay the rhinoir
Starting point is 01:55:49 the rhinonosaurus the rhinos because it should be shortened the hippo hippos listen I'm now known her in the FCFL
Starting point is 01:56:01 The league starts up this fall. Oh, my goodness. Cupa Chabras. Chupa Cabras. Oh, my gosh. Hey, do you have to hire a GM and stuff? I'm the owner. Oh, you're everything.
Starting point is 01:56:14 Then we bring in a coach. We vote on a coach. Hey, can we coach? If people vote on it, you can. This is going to be amazing. It's going to be fun. That's why I wanted to do it. Because I felt like our whole show could, like, run this team and, like, all the listeners.
Starting point is 01:56:29 So, okay, the end for now. That's the big announcement that's happening with me. The first game will begin late in 2019. Wow. There you go. Like this year. This year. Later this year.
Starting point is 01:56:39 Maybe we call them like the Rieba's. Oh, or the Garth's. Oh, now we're... The Garth Brooks. Now we're... They're... We'll think about it. We need some time.
Starting point is 01:56:51 We need some time. Amy, you know when they announced that Alex Trebek had cancer and he came out into the video and was like, hey, you know, I have pancreatic cancer. Which the pancreas is a big deal. You can't mess with the, you mess with the pancreas. That's bad news. Yeah. That's why the pancreas, that's such a bad cancer to get because it's such a sensitive part of your body.
Starting point is 01:57:16 Yeah, and he was stage four. They're saying now that it's cancer's approaching remission. Did you see this? Crazy. I know. And when I read it, I was like, huh. Yeah, you kind of, I honestly was expecting to read the exact opposite of that, which is amazing. Alex Trebek says this cancer is nearing remission.
Starting point is 01:57:32 And he thinks the positive energy from the fans. is helping. Quote, I got a lot of love out there head in my direction, a lot of prayer, and I will never ever minimalize the value of that. He says it's kind of mind-boggling. Some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50%. Still facing more rounds of chemo, but super optimistic, and they're surprised that it's even
Starting point is 01:57:50 gone this far into remission. Isn't that nuts? Good for him, man. It's weird how I feel like I care about someone I've never even been in the same city with. Isn't that wild? I hope people feel that way about us. Like, I hope we give off that vibe. people are like, oh, we really care about them. Because, like, Alex Trebek, I spent my whole life watching him on TV.
Starting point is 01:58:08 I was a Jeopardy nerd. Watch it every day. And, like, I got a little sad whenever he got sick. And he's still less sick, but he's fighting. I love that. Saw this story yesterday. And I shaved my beard, by the way, last night. Yes, he did it on Instagram Live.
Starting point is 01:58:23 Because I just wanted a reason to, I wanted something to do to tell people about at Pim of Joy tomorrow. And I was like, as I shaved my beard, let me remind you all that we're going to help build a house for, you know, a hero for Army Specialist, Scotty West. So I shaved my beard on Instagram Live. According to a new study, guys with beards are typically making up for other deficits in their life. Oh. Researchers found the guys compensate for small manhood in many cases by growing beards.
Starting point is 01:58:46 Oh. Because they need something to attract women. They also found that guys grow abnormally big beards to make up for their income, their height, their job status, maybe their weight, or their peepee. Wow. I wonder if that's true. It seems a beard is a good way for a guy to feel accomplished, which means he's most likely lacking in another area. Now, I don't agree.
Starting point is 01:59:12 I just don't have an opinion about this. I grew mine out because I was lazy. And then I shaved it last night. It wasn't for me. Amy, what do you think about this? I don't agree. My husband has a beard, and he grew it out because he was in the Air Force for 12 years. You better not agree.
Starting point is 01:59:28 Yeah, go ahead. And then he got out, and it was literally like, he's like, oh, okay, I guess I could grow my hair out. actually it was right after he crashed that or landed did a control landing in a lake and then he was kind of just like went through this phase was like I'm just going to let my beard keep growing and then when I first saw him I was like oh I don't know how I feel about this and then I fell in love with it and he hasn't I he's kept it ever since because I love it what do you think about a guy with a too big of truck Amy oh I'm not into that at all I think like
Starting point is 02:00:03 I'm like, calm down. I feel like it's high schoolish when it's too big. Like you're, I just not that into it. Like one of my husband's, I'm just not that into it. Like one of my husband's best friends kind of has a bigger truck. And I'm like, why? Like, we even make fun of him. We're like a why.
Starting point is 02:00:20 You know him. And it's like a why. You know? Like, you're successful. Like, you're awesome. Like, what are you trying to compensate for? Exactly. Same thing with a beard.
Starting point is 02:00:30 Uh-huh. Anyway, I read that. I was happy to read it after I shaved my beard off. All right, hope everybody's good. Hope you had a good day today with us. Don't forget tomorrow 10 a.m. We put our Pimp and Joy line up, and we're going to help Army Specialist Scotty West build a house.
Starting point is 02:00:47 He lost both of his legs due to an IED in Iraq. And what our goal is as a show is to make his life a little better, a little easier because he's done that for us. So that being said, we're going to leave. But Amy tonight has the big Thomas Red album premiere. How about that? Yeah. I'm excited.
Starting point is 02:01:02 New York City, get a rope. You remember that? Pace pecanic sense. Yeah, I do. Back in the day. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Amy's in New York. And she's going to be hosting with Thomas Red tonight
Starting point is 02:01:14 as he premieres a lot of his new music. He's playing music, right? Like it's live. Yeah, he's playing. And so you can listen to it or you can watch, follow along. It's livexlive.com if you want to see it happening. There you go livexlive.com. And at what time, Amy, can people watch this?
Starting point is 02:01:30 Seven Central. It's okay, so eight Eastern. I got this right. Seven Central, six, Mountain, Mountain, five, Pacific. All that's right? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:40 Wow. So that's happening? Then you're just in New York, living it up, huh? Yeah, I am. I mean, trying to. I mean, obviously still working, but definitely left my daughter
Starting point is 02:01:52 at home in the hotel room. So, right now. She's like 19 now. She's good. She's 12. It's her first time in a big city. Like, she was looking up at all the big buildings last night, and she was like, people live up there. Well, in a big city, you're not letting her in the city.
Starting point is 02:02:07 You didn't say go run wild. Like, she's in a room, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, don't leave this room. Call me if you need me. Well, good luck. You know where I'm going today? Oh, where?
Starting point is 02:02:20 To see that, Frank, that psychic. Oh, is that today? Yeah. Oh, yeah, that's right. Okay. Listen, I'm not a believer. But we're going to go see. If I come in tomorrow and I'm like, oh, my God, guys.
Starting point is 02:02:31 We'll see how he goes. Oh, yeah, because Bobby, our friends... We have very intelligent friends that go to this guy and they believe him. They believe it. So now I feel like Bobby's going to come back and he's going to be like, he said this and this and this and da-da-da-da. And I'm going to be like, oh, my gosh. We'll let you know tomorrow.
Starting point is 02:02:47 I got to work out. I've got a couple meetings. I'm going to go talk to some people at the general. Yeah. They're having a big meetings. I'm going to speak at their conference today. In a hotel ballroom even. That's why I'm a shirt's button today.
Starting point is 02:02:57 You look nice. And I shaved my beard. Oh, you did. I had to. I got to go speak today. Dang it, man. Yeah, we'll see you Friday. Tomorrow, Thomas Redd in studio. I hope you have a great day.
