The Bobby Bones Post-Show pre-show.
Just wrapped up today's show.
And I want to grab Shinn...
Is it Shania?
Shania?
Yeah, that's right.
Wow.
Well, were you named for Shih.
Shania, Twain?
I was. My dad had the hot for her.
Oh, wow, that's funny.
That's funny.
And so Shania texts the show here.
I was talking about the girl that was on yesterday's show who went on The Bachelorette.
Her name was Han.
No, not Hannah?
Haley Stevens.
Haley Stevens.
And she came on because I was like, oh, that's a funny story.
Like your boyfriend says, I'll be back in a minute, but then never comes back because he's on TV now, on the Bachelorette.
Right.
So I bring her on and I'm like, people were hating on her because they were like, it's opportunistic.
Of course it's opportunistic.
That's what every single person
that comes to the studio to do,
like to promote something.
So, and Hannah, you texted me.
What did you say?
I said that it was just kind of strange
to use that as, you know,
your opportunity to promote your music.
To use what as the opportunity?
To use being cheated on as your opportunity.
Okay.
Because for me, like, that would be embarrassing to me.
And I feel like if you are confident
in your music,
I wouldn't want to lead on that book,
because then that's what you're going to be known for.
If I could just play the other side of this,
there are many artists that come in with songs about being cheated on,
and they tell the story about it.
Okay, right.
I got cheated on.
Here's a song I wrote about it,
and I think you need to hear it,
because here's a story that I want to share.
I would say that's basically the same thing.
Yeah.
I mean, I see where he's coming from.
That's right.
That's right, Shania.
Does everybody go Shania?
Shania, Twain, like every day in your life?
Yeah.
or people, first of all, they mispronounce my name all the time.
It's Shana or whatever.
Yeah.
I don't know I've ever met a Shania.
No.
I've not besides.
Other than name drop, the actual Shania Twain.
Have you ever met the real Shania Twain?
No, I would.
Well, listen, I'm glad that you texted.
How do you feel about the point that I make back
and that people often come in and talk about being cheated on,
but they do it in a song the same way to...
I would.
Go ahead.
be more willing to be behind that person
because that's still their music
like they're still showing their talent
like they wrote the song
that's very talented
they're singing the song that's very talented
this girl
I mean she she didn't do anything like that
is just the story
so you would have liked it better
if she would just come on with a song
about the bachelor
was there a guitar ready
my point is it's the same thing
it's the same thing
you have a story you come in and share your story
hopefully to get whatever your skill is elevated to a level where people buy it so you can pay your mortgage, so you can eat.
But, Shania, I'm glad you brought that up because I bet a lot of people felt the same way you did until I just corrected their air.
Oh, come on.
I just like, hey Shania, thank you for calling.
Thank you for listening.
Appreciate that.
Hey, thank you.
I love you guys.
See you later.
Bye-bye.
Here she is, Shania.
We do have a good show today.
Let me mention this real quick.
Our big contest we have on the website right now, Bobbybones.com.
It's just the two of us.
Sorry, Chicago Sweepstakes, presented by USAOpoli.
We want you to come see Eddie and myself perform in Chicago on our new tour.
You can enter for your chance to win at Bobby Bones.com.
We're going to send you three days, two nights to Chicago, winner and a guest.
We'll get airfare, two nights hotel, two tickets to the show, and meeting, greet passes with Eddie and myself.
Sweepstakes presented by USAOpoli featuring Disney code names.
It's the fun game for all ages.
We love to play in the studio.
Get it now from Target, bobbybones.com.
You see it up there, keyword rules.
Yeah.
And people are like, why aren't you mentioning others?
Well, this is, we're actually sending people to Chicago.
Which is why I'm not like, come see us in Louisville.
You can, but we're not going to pay for that one.
Yeah, there's no give a little about that one.
So you can go to Bobbybones.com.
And do we spam people, Morgan number two?
I'm always curious.
Nope.
We do not spam people.
So you can go over there and do that.
Do I have any notes about Mike?
Because sometimes I'll send my e-notes.
I'll be like, I want to talk about this in the post show.
Did I write any of those or no?
No.
Okay.
Any anything you'd like to say?
No.
Very disappointed.
we're not moving to our new studio.
Yeah, I mean, I learned that today.
I think I was the last person.
I was like, oh, wait, but we've got this tomorrow.
And then everyone was like, no, no, no, we're not going.
I was like, what?
Yeah.
So we're supposed to move our little bit of stuff today over there and start tomorrow.
Oh, so we're not taking our chairs with us.
No.
Our chairs from.
Our chairs that everyone gave to us.
Yeah, like my Dirk's family chair, your Tim McGrawler chair, Carrey Underwood chair, not going.
All matching studio furniture.
I went and tested out our new chairs.
I got to say, they're nice.
It's really comfortable.
And they all match.
Listen, when I designed the studio, it's chairs, guest chairs.
We had an issue with cameras where they promised us a certain amount and they scale back a bit.
And I took care of that yesterday.
Eddie came in like a wounded puppy.
I was like, do you know about this?
He was like, do you know they took away two of our cameras?
Bobby goes, I want names.
Who told you that?
So now the cameras are back?
Just let me say.
It's being handled.
Okay.
So I'm talking about.
But you never text me back.
I texted you.
I was like.
No, we got your names.
I was with her.
Oh, were you?
Yes.
We were in the same room.
I was like, whoa, what's up with the cameras?
They're taking, we have six cameras built into the walls.
And Eddie goes, they only have four.
They cut us because of budget.
And I was like, give me names.
And so we'll see what happens.
Maybe it ends up being five.
Me in the middle somewhere?
Maybe.
Probably it's six.
Better than four.
Maybe I just go seven, mother.
Ooh.
Probably not seven.
Probably not seven.
Probably not seven.
But, I mean, when we do get in there, we'll be.
I feel like the energy is going to be different.
Like, we'll probably have better shows because it's going to be all, like, all exciting and pretty.
But I won't have a board.
Ramundo runs the board from inside the beach.
What are you going to do with your hands?
I'm going to wave them around like I just don't care.
I'm going to wave them up in the air.
I just don't care.
I've only ever seen you with a board.
Now I'm doing nothing.
You're holding a sharpie.
Right.
I know, but.
And I always will hold the sharpie.
Always.
It'll be interesting.
It will, and it'll be visually appealing.
It'll look like a light night talk show, hopefully.
But it's white.
It's very white in there.
And nobody can take pictures of it yet.
We're not allowing pictures.
Is it too bright for you?
Because I wanted it lit.
Like the kids say?
Yeah.
Hey, yeah.
No, no, no, no.
Like physically lit.
Oh.
No.
So far, just built it.
I literally drew this on a piece of paper and they built it.
It's cool, man.
Which is crazy.
And it feels like crap.
That's on me.
But we sat down and I drew it.
I was like, I want this here.
I want Amy here with, you know, the Andy Richter or the,
Ed McMahon or the
Who else?
Guillermo?
Is he sit there too?
He doesn't?
He doesn't?
But I want Amy to have that spot
And so it's all a thing, man,
It's all coming together.
Eddie has a switcher screen
With all the cameras where he can like
Mike D has his own like
Corner where he's like
Instead of him just standing behind me
Which he usually does
He's like has his own little table now
It's pretty cool
Yeah it'd be a thing.
And we have a stage
Kind of getting excited talking about it
What is, when guests come in, will they, even if they're not performing, they'll go to the stage?
They'll go to the chairs.
On the stage?
Well, sort of.
Okay.
The chairs had to be elevated.
So the edge of the stage, it's a whole, you'll see it.
The chairs will be there.
Otherwise, their chairs will never match the elevation of my desk.
Gotcha.
Because that's what I have now, a desk.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
It's almost like an anchor desk.
A bit, single, so.
And I do have screens built into the table.
Listen, it could be a disaster, but I doubt it.
I was pretty excited.
about it.
I don't think it's going to be a disaster.
I'm kidding.
That's amazing.
Yesterday, Morgan number two and I went and here's,
did I talk about how I text Morgan number one,
sometimes the wrong invites?
No, you didn't talk about that.
You're not on air, but off air you did.
That's the thing about our show too.
Sometimes I don't know what I talk about on the air
because we just talk about things.
I wish we lived different lives
so I could like file them into categories, I know.
But I send Morgan number one,
who's leaving the show to go work for me
in another capacity.
I said Morgan number one
and it goes, hey, you want to go box tomorrow,
2.30, whatever, and I see the bubble
come up, and I'm like, oh, never mind, wrong Morgan.
Wrong Morgan. And she's like, oh, okay, cool.
So then I send a message.
What if she had been like, yeah, I want to go? So cool,
Bobby to invite me.
Then I'd been like, see you then?
Okay. What do you do, right?
Yeah, what do you?
But then I had it, Morgan number two. We went yesterday,
and we were working, working hard too.
And Morgan number two goes, I don't think I like this one today.
That was hard.
Yeah, she was like, this one today. This is not my favorite.
It was a tough one.
But if you feel good after, a few days after.
She's like, she's like, I'm sore.
I mean, I'm a little sore too.
But yeah, we boxed.
But, Eddie, I'm convinced not only would she beat lunchbox, she'd beat you.
I know.
You've said that already.
And I mean, I'd love to die.
I'm not like lunchbox.
I'll fight her.
I'd be afraid you'd break.
Oh, I'd break her?
No, no, no.
Here's what I'd be afraid of with you guys.
She hits so hard.
I think she'd break your ribs.
Oh, you think she'd break my ribs.
I do.
And it's just not worth the insurance.
Whoa.
I do it if you...
Oh, it's weird.
I was a wimp for not fighting them, but Eddie, you're scared.
Yeah.
It's funny how I got so much fight for not fighting her.
Let's do it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, find her.
Morgan and Lunchbox go first, and then the winner takes...
I already said I'm not, but Eddie said I'm not, but Eddie said...
Eddie said he would, but he's not a wimp for doing it.
Well, because he said he would do it.
So do it.
So do it, fight her.
I don't have a problem punching Morgan number two because she probably would beat me up.
Dude, she would...
So it'd be like me defending myself.
She was punching this bag yesterday, and she...
And she's got like a crazy hook.
And I'm like, anybody's ribs done.
I was like, Morgan number two, if a dude ever mess with you, don't hit him in the face.
Just do, hit him right.
Dude, she'll crush you.
Like Rocky when he's in the meat locker?
Mm-hmm.
Interesting.
Remember that?
Yeah, he's punching the meat.
He's punching the meat.
And he's breaking the ribs.
Oh.
Like the cows ribs?
Yeah.
The actual cows are things.
Yeah, I didn't see that episode.
The Rocky one.
You feel strong when you box?
I wasn't in Rocky 4.
You feel strong when you box?
I do.
It makes me.
feel like a really, like, powerful person, even though I'm very little and probably don't have
enough of that.
She is short.
Small but mighty.
But she does punch, man.
She'd break a rib, all of our ribs.
All these workouts you guys do, though.
It's not just sparring, right?
It's like, you do, like, jump rope and stuff and the bag.
What are we in the 70s?
I'm picturing Rocky is what I'm picturing you guys.
No.
So what we did, like, some, like, we worked out a little first.
Like, we did some pushups and little weight stuff.
Okay.
I did some little sprint work, and then we did half the work in the ring after that.
Oh, okay.
The ring work.
The sprints were terrible.
You guys wear masks?
Like the boxing masks?
No?
We don't hit each other.
Oh.
I'm not trying to get hit.
Okay.
I'm trying to get hit by anybody ever.
I got you.
I get broken.
You should probably beat me.
Who'd you put your money on that one, Morgan, number two?
Mm-hmm.
You.
Like, I could go for like maybe 20 seconds with you, and then I'd be like, I'm out.
I'm good.
She's got a puncher's chance, though.
She's like that dude.
Who's the fat dude who won the championship recently?
No.
Oh, you're talking about the Mexican guy.
Is he Mexican?
Yes.
Diaser.
Is that his name?
Yeah, he comes in, fat dude.
Punch her, well, bam.
I don't remember his name.
He's like the world champion.
No one expected him to win.
It's freaking awesome.
All right.
There we go.
Anything you want to say, Amy?
Did you all cover that in the Soor Losers podcast?
We did, yeah.
Shoot.
No, I don't think so.
I'm trying to think if there's something you've said we were going to talk about and we haven't gotten to.
That's everything.
I usually tease something
and get to it like nine days later.
Andrew Ruiz Jr.
I was way off on Diaz.
Ruiz, Diaz.
If anyone else would have said that?
If I would have done that,
I'd have been blasted.
Yeah, but I'm Mexican.
I can say stuff like that.
I know, I know, I know.
Check out Amy's podcast.
It's got Corey Robertson of Duck Dynasty on it.
Yeah, she's on all four things.
She's just so sweet.
And over on the old Bobbycast,
Let me find that.
Do I have the clothes up here, Mike?
Or no.
Yeah, I do.
Carrie Edwards, who is the manager for Cole Swindell,
Luke Bryan, even.
Just really a fantastic story.
And this is like her talking about
Luke winning entertainer of the year.
Because she'd been with him since he was just a songwriter.
Like, he wasn't even an artist yet.
He and his family have had a lot of unfortunate tragedies
and like watching them in that moment
and being able to enjoy that moment
was pretty emotional.
And I mean, I was shocked, though.
I mean, the truth be told that year
when they were doing nominations,
I told him not to include him an entertainer.
Like, I literally remember saying that.
Then he won.
It talks about meeting Cole,
and Cole was a fan of Luke
showing up to shows in Georgia,
and Cole sold merch for Luke for two to three years.
Such a cool story.
Yeah, Carrie Eddor, check out the latest Bobbycast.
Here we go.
This is Thursday's show.
Thanks to Aaron Watson for coming by.

Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby bones.
Let's go.
Transmitting across America.
Hey, welcome to Thursday show.
Good morning, studio.
Morning.
Here we are.
I was reading a story, Amy.
Let me think about you.
Robin Thick.
Remember that guy?
Yeah.
He had blurred lines.
So him and his, I guess it's her wife.
They have a 16-month-old daughter.
And they're going to get in trouble because their toddler was eating Flaming Hot Cheetos.
Oh, so what did that make you think of me?
Because people get parent-of-shame for all kinds of things.
Oh.
Like, they didn't put it up to go look at our baby, Flaming Hot Cheetos.
The baby was just eating Flamin Hot Cheetos.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know what age babies start eating, but those are pretty hot.
I mean, but no judgment here.
Some people can have a higher heat tolerance.
Maybe that baby's a super baby.
Well, so her name's April of Geary.
She put it on Instagram and Robin Thick is in the video laughing.
And the kid is eating a flaming hot chito.
And so they're attacking her for letting her baby eat flaming hot chitos.
How do we feel about this, Amy?
I mean, I just feel like people need to find other things to worry about in the world.
Like, I'm sure that they feed their baby a balanced diet.
It's not just eating Cheetos and a Coke, hopefully.
That'd be pretty good, though.
Eddie, you have four kids, two foster kids, two of your own.
What do you think?
Sometimes babies like hot stuff.
You know, like, one of my foster kids, he's a toddler, and he eats, he ate wasabi the other
day.
You're such a bad parent.
All good.
All good in the hood.
I wonder, too, what if you're, like, teething and those Cheetos are like...
It numbs everything.
Yeah.
And also, just like, the texture.
The texture.
Yeah.
Everybody that has anything parenting on Instagram gets attacked, shamed, critiqued.
So, I saw that, I thought about you.
This song was the jam.
There was the jam.
I'm in Hot Cheetos, they're not allowed to have them.
They're not.
They have them to school secretly, probably?
Probably.
Yeah.
I give them to them.
Welcome, welcome.
One of my favorite segments and one of my favorite things I get to do is talk about the history of country music,
which is why I have the nickname,
country music's youngest story.
Thank you.
causing the record to skip.
And he said, hey, don't rock the jukebox.
He goes, oh.
That's a good song.
Interesting.
So, they get off the road, and they sat down and worked on the concept.
Didn't take too long.
Ended up not being about the actual band members' accidental bump of the jukebox,
but that is what inspired the song that we know.
Number one for three weeks, biggest country song in 1991.
And on this day on country music, it was the number one song.
Don't rot the jukebox.
I ain't got nothing.
Against rock and roll.
And your heart's been broken.
You need a song that's slow.
You'll be tired.
Play a song.
So the guy hits the Jukebox, right?
Yeah.
Don't ride, man.
Come on.
Back a guy.
Oh, it's don't.
Since my baby's gone,
play me a country song.
Jukebox.
Play me a country song.
Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day.
All right, what do you want to do?
Do you want to hear about how I have almost in my first drink of alcohol?
Yes.
On the plane?
Well, let me give you some options.
Oh, sorry.
I do have like three options.
Okay.
That we can play Spill the Tea, which is kind of a throw someone under the bus.
Who's spilling it, though?
I can't tell you, though.
It's just you have to commit to it.
Or we can do a game.
I have a fun game of a, like, background vocals of songs.
Okay, I have the perfect order for that.
Well, I don't know.
we can get them all in. So go ahead. Pick one. Which one do you want to do first? You have a
drinking. Okay, that's where we start. Okay. Okay. So I want to give a backstory, and not to
bum people out at all, but I want to give a quick backstory as to why this is a segment. I haven't
ever had a drink of alcohol. I would love to drink alcohol. I'm scared of it. I don't really
know my biological father. He left a lot of drinking issues. My mom died in her 40s from drugs and
alcohol. And so for me, I just know that my strongest weapon is knowing myself. And if I started drinking,
I wouldn't be able to stop.
So from a young age, I would see all of this around me, and I went, I'm just not going to drink.
And it's definitely not a holier than now.
I wish I was drinking right now.
That'd be bad.
And it would be awesome.
And so I've never had a drink of alcohol.
And I say that in a way of I wish I would.
I wish I could.
And as Amy just had a drink really loud on the air.
Oh, sorry.
Yeah, it's all right.
You made me thirsty.
So, but I do go, I'm 39 years old.
And I do go, I do think there's a point where I'd like to challenge myself,
not to drink and have fun, but to see if I am stronger than whatever could be inside of me genetically.
And I think about it a lot.
And I also am very awkward in social situations where I'm not having to be like the guy.
If they're like, hey, Bobby Bones is here, you may know I'm from radio or TV, then I'm like, I got to be on.
I'm okay with flipping the switch on.
But if I'm just a dude hanging out, I'm not good at it.
I kind of get in the corner in the wall.
I don't want to bother people.
So I think drinking would help that situation.
I think I'd loosen me up a little bit.
I'm on the airplane.
I just finished doing running wild with Bear Girls.
I'm in a foreign country.
They're walking around with these little things of champagne
because Bearer Girls puts your boy here in first class.
Yeah.
And it's international first class.
So it's like a bed.
Wow.
That's amazing.
So I'm like in a bed.
I got like covers.
You're in a robe.
It's amazing.
And they're walking around.
Would you like some champagne?
pain. Amy almost said yet. I mean, I've never, I've never been closer to take in the little
bottle and just seeing what it tastes like and having a little celebratory. And no one would ever
have known. Because it's not about me preaching it out loud. It's never about, I don't drink.
It's never about me saying that out loud. It's always about making, hopefully people can understand
that their, again, their biggest weapon for themselves is knowing themselves. And that I did.
I was so close to just go on. Let me just see what this. Let me just have.
a little drink. Oh, wow. I didn't. I was proud, and I was also proud of myself, because I did some
nutty stuff on that show. And also, I still, whenever something like that happens, I'm still the kid
from Mount Pine, Arkansas, who grew up on food stamps. And I'm like, I just did a show that's
going to be on 150 countries. Like, I'm pretty proud. And I almost had some, so, but I didn't.
Yeah, because, I mean, celebrate. That is something to celebrate. And everybody's always like,
celebrate with champagne. Right. Makes sense. And I almost did, but I didn't. But I think I'm getting
close. I think if I get in a relationship and like whomever my girl or who knows, guy is,
you know, you never know. Where the world's going to take us? Right. And they're like,
hey, like I got you. Maybe I will. Maybe I've just, but that's where I am, almost have
a first drink. Wow. Closer's I've ever been in my life. Because I really considered it.
Like, I can do it. Let's just see what's up. And you were in your own space. Like, you could have
controlled it. I have a feeling, though, you probably have been like, oh, and then the altitude.
Yeah, but he was in the air.
I know.
He can be a new story that goes bad.
Sir, sir, it's time to deplane.
You gotta get off.
Deep plane.
Deep plane.
Oh.
So, and I'm also, like, I haven't had a sleeping pill in a long time.
I was taking sleeping pills and anything I do, I do a lot.
And so I had a whole struggle with getting off sleeping pills for a while.
And I wouldn't take it on the plane because I just don't want to be that guy who the news is doing a story about me pooping in the aisle.
Because I don't remember because I'm on a sleeping pill.
So I'm nervous about that.
That it's a whole thing with me.
But that's the story.
Do you feel like you chose a good story for me to tell?
Yeah, especially if it's the closest you've ever been.
I feel like there's been times where you've really considered it and you've wanted it.
But yeah, I mean, and we are, I mean, the older we get and the more, if you continue on this trajectory of success, like, the more things you're going to have to celebrate, too.
Well, it's, yeah.
So if that's something that kind of stirs it up in you, like accomplishing something.
You know, I'm going to tell you.
what, though, here's the weirdest, oh, I don't want to get mopey, right?
Because I'm in a good place in my life right now.
Sharing isn't getting mopey.
I know, but I'm in a good place and I want people to think that I'm down.
But it sucks to celebrate alone all the time.
Oh, yeah.
And I do get lonely sometimes.
Well, and that's why you inserted future girlfriend to your scenario now.
So as you're going, you're celebrating all this stuff.
Yeah.
It's like, okay, I go back to the house, turn on the office and go, good boy, Bobby.
That part of it does kind of suck.
Oh, man.
You know you can always celebrate.
But only a little bit.
Not mopey Bobby.
I would have drank champagne with you.
Yeah, like we'll celebrate.
No, you guys have like your own thing, your own things going.
Sure.
We can pause that for a second.
Cool, thanks.
Any time there's free champagne.
That's the story.
Bobby has probably like several bottles of dog at his house.
You have thought about this.
I have so,
because I go to your house and there's like a liquor bottles and like wine bottles.
And I'm like,
I wonder Bobby would miss that.
Nope.
And you know what?
I'm talking about people will gift me things.
And I'll Google them.
I'm not too good.
Here's the two things I do that I'm not proud of.
One, I'll Google.
Somebody send me a wine and I'll Google it.
And I'll be like, that costs $200.
Or are you ready for the big one?
Someone will send me their address to their house.
And you'll go somewhere.
And you Google it.
Hang it, Bones.
I'm a flawed man.
I'm a flawed man.
That's street view, man.
I know.
I'm a flawed person.

The Bobby Bones Show.
Amy, would you ever hire somebody without your husband knowing to mow the yard?
Just be like, do his man chores without telling him?
Oh, hmm.
I mean, yeah, I guess it's like a so he could have the weekend off.
What if he liked doing it?
He does love doing stuff like that.
But I think he would appreciate it.
Well, this happened with Eddie, Eddie's wife.
Yeah.
I feel like I'm kind of getting cheated on.
Is that too much to say?
He didn't know she did it.
But didn't she do it as like a nice gift to you?
So what happened?
Yeah, I mean, I just, that's my job.
My job is to mow the lawn.
I don't have very many duties at home, but that is one of mow the lawn.
And my wife expects me to do it.
But we've just had a couple busy weeks.
And I guess that she was trying to be nice and not asking me to do it because the grass was getting long.
So she hired some guy in the neighborhood to cut it.
Now, I just kind of walked from my car to the inside of the house.
house and I don't notice really the lawn.
So I just forgot.
And then he shows up one day. I'm like, what?
Oh, you see him. Oh, you see her with the other man?
I was like, who is this guy? Yeah, I felt like I was just like, that's not me.
That's like what's happening out there.
So, yeah, sure enough. So she's hired this guy twice and he's been cutting our, mowing our lawn.
Do it? Better jobs.
Is he hot? Is he hot? Does he have a shirt off? Is he in camo fatigue?
He's not as good as me, obviously.
Oh, obviously. You know what that reminds me of what song?
What song?
That's like my lawnmower.
That's not your lawnmower in the yard.
That ain't my John Deer in a yard.
My weed eater.
A little bit you're insulting?
Yeah, man.
I appreciate her gesture and all, but that's my job.
That's a jam, though.
That's my girl, my whole world.
That ain't my lawnmower.
Yeah, so, but isn't it nice to just like you get home
and it's done and you just wanted communication.
It's it.
Okay.
The gift of communication.
These are the easiest trivia questions around.

He goes George Washington.
Show me, George Washington.

He made a frown face.
He had a wig, right?
Well, he's got the little ring around the side.
Eddie, how many ounces are in a cup?
What?
Easy, tron.
That's not easy.
Yes, it is.
A cup?
How many ounces are in a cup?
I would say a cup is probably half a can, so let's go six.
Oh, my gosh.
And you got mad at me for me.
not knowing that red was the first.
Excuse me?
You judged me?
He judged me for not knowing that red was the first.
It's eight axes.
Dang it.
That's tough.
Wow.
Wow.
Okay, we can tell these guys don't hit the kitchen much.
Sorry, I pick up a cup, but it doesn't have an ounce on it.
We have two contestants remaining in easy trivia.
Yay.
Morgan number two, you get a second question.
Okay?
Are you ready, Morgan number two?
Nope, but yes.
Okay.

Think about that, Morgan number two.
She's our head of digital.
I'm not going to math.

Okay.
Well, 365 days.

We're huge fans of FGL.
I remember when we moved to Nashville.

And that whole first record was pushing the envelope,
and they exploded in a big way, and they're still killing it.

It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
There's this high school senior in Hackensack, New Jersey.
he's going off to the Marines after graduation.
Only problem is graduation day is the same day he was supposed to leave for the Marines.
So he thought he wasn't going to be able to graduate with his classmates.
So the day before, during the walkthrough, they gave him his cap and gown,
and they held a graduation ceremony just for him.
So they did the whole thing.
Farron's family came to the walkthrough.
Oh, wow.
And he got to graduate with his classmates in his cap and gown.
That's pretty cool.
Yeah, that's what it's all about right there.
That is a good one.
And that's Tell Me Something Good.

Bobby Bones Show.
Bonehead.
Story of the day.
This story comes with us from King County, Washington.
A man was visiting his brother.
He was having his cup of coffee in the morning.
He looks out the window and he goes, oh my gosh, there's a black bear.
Grab's a shotgun, goes running outside to chase the bear.
Yeah.
Trips, falls, shoots himself in the lake.
Oh, no, boy, no.
He said he was going to scare the bear off, so he shot himself.
I guess he's running with the safety off?
Yeah.
Trips, boom, bullet right through the leg.
Lucky bullet wasn't through something else.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's crazy.
I'm Lunchbox, that's your bonehead story of the day.
Bear girls would not be having that story.
It's not to my friend Beargirls.
Oh, yeah, your buddy, your buddy.
Yeah, not to spoil the ending of our show when it comes out, but I survived.
Yeah, but that's Bear Girls wouldn't have done that.
Folks, it's your buddy and my...
Mr. Bobby Bones.
About five minutes away from Aaron Watson in studio.
We're never going out of style.
So he'll be in a minute.
I do want to bring in our audio producer, Raymundo, who a lot of people compare,
and I think it's a fair comparison to Joey from friends, right?
Yeah.
He eats sensibility-wise.
He eats.
He eats a lot.
He eats a lot.
Yeah.
Not very smart.
That's not true.
What?
Joey.
So smart.
Joey.
Joey.
Well, listen, Ramundo, good morning.
Morning.
And Raymundo sits in that glass room and edits audio all morning long.
but he started to do commercials.
And I think if I'm an endorser, like if I, I probably go, I go to Ramundo first.
He's so good with commercials.
Now, you're doing Ford of Murphy'sboro?
Yeah.
That's your Ford.
That's your commercial?
Absolutely.
And they came to you and said what?
They said, you know, mix it up a little bit.
Okay, so here's Raymundo's new commercial, which I laughed out loud when I heard on the radio.
Driving to the car yesterday.
Oh, it's already made the radio.
Yes.
It's made the radio.
Okay.
Yeah.
It's your favorite country musician Ray Mundo don't get that
Okay

Correct right okay just making sure are you down for a bag to jam

Why not mix it up okay
There you go

Thank you.
All trimmed up.
Well, I tried to look good today for you guys.
I asked my wife.
Oh, gosh.
It was, before a show, I had my wife.
and my kids on the road with me, and I had the beard,
and I was kind of debating whether I should shave it or not.
So I looked at her, and I said, babe, beard or no beard.
And she said, well, 49% of me loves the beard.
51% of me likes you clean shaved.
And I was like, you're not really helping my decision making here.
So I asked my daughter, Jolie Kate, and she's nine.
And I was like, Jolie, I need just a straightforward answered,
Beard or no beard and why?
And she took it so serious.
She looked up at like the ceiling and she goes, okay, beard, more tough, more cowboy.
And I said, okay, thank you, girl.
Beard it is.
And we love it.
We love it.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Thank you.
I was looking at your Instagram, speaking of your daughter.
She gave you a coupon book for Father's Day?
Yes.
So tell me about that coupon book.
It involves all things that are fun for her.
It was, I have no doubt that her coupon book for Father's,
Day was heartfelt, but it's like shopping with me or swimming with me for three hours.
Or taking me to Dallas to do more shopping. It's all these wonderful things, you know. So it's
fun. It's been a fun week doing the album release, but it's like, it's so funny like I'm,
I've got all this going on. You know, it's like I'm not just like the artist, but I'm having to do
like the record executive side of things because it's my label and this and that. And I'm,
I was at the house fixing to leave for the release week.
And my wife and Jolie came up to me and they're like, hey, well, you know, they have puppy.
You can buy puppies in Texas, right?
You can.
They're everywhere, even in our town.
Right.
But my wife and my daughter found a puppy that they wanted in Salt Lake City, Utah.
But how do they find it?
I have no idea.
I have no idea.
This point is, why is it not in Texas?
Yeah, my point is why can it just be like, you know, in our town?
And she goes, hey, I know you have a lot on your plate right now,
but do you think before you leave we could look at the schedule?
Because we need to figure out how to drive from Texas to Salt Lake City to get this puppy in like three weeks.
And I was like, for real.
It should have been a coupon.
Yeah.
Here's a coupon.
Here's a coupon.
Yeah.
Maybe there's the coupon.
I didn't get to that part of the page.
But yeah, dad's stuff right there.
Yeah.
Aaron Watson's here.
If ever was a good day, it's the day that born kiss that girl goodbye.
Tell me by the song.
I wrote this song after a show.
I had a girl in my merch line.
She had mascara, obviously, running down her face.
And I was like, girl, what's wrong?
Was my show so bad that I made you cry?
Was it that bad?
And she was like, no.
She goes, my boyfriend literally just dumped me at the show.
And I was like, for real.
And she was like, yes.
And I was like, that's ridiculous.
I go, we need it like.
I go, I said, flush the toilet.
That guy's worthless.
You don't need that.
I think I said, you need to kiss that, something goodbye.
And then I started thinking about it.
And I wrote this, like, I don't know, you know, kind of this,
I wanted to write this like girl power song, like, he's no good.
So, dump him.
You know, like, don't waste your life on someone who doesn't make you feel like you're the queen of the world.
You know, so I wrote it.
And then, of course, Jolie Kate liked it.
And I do have two boys.
I know I'm not talking about them.
They do exist.
I have two sons, Jake and Jack.
I just love Jolie just a little bit more.
But Jolie was like when we were going through the 20 tracks on the new record, I go, what's the single?
And she was like, this one.
So, yeah, my daughter picked the single.
We would have to interview her to really get a reason why.
On the Bobby Bones show now.
Aaron Watson.
You're still in Abilene?
Yeah.
Well, we live about 20 miles south, Buffalo Gap.
So, like, what's the, um, what's the, um, you know?
Aaron Watson spread look like out in Buffalo Gap?
Well, we have a really cool place.
We have about three miles from our house.
I've got a little ranch, 400 acres,
and we were going to build out there,
but we found this place that this guy built,
this house with a little lake behind it,
and price of living is so, so cheap out there
that, you know, that's kind of why we always stayed.
You know, if I lived here in Nashville,
I've seen small shacks that cost more than my ranch.
in my house here in Nashville. I'm like, whoa.
But it's just
we just kind of live out in the middle of nowhere. Ed,
we don't live too far from Ed Wright.
Oh, yes, I know. Oh my gosh. Yeah. Okay, random.
Because he always comes up to me and talks about you.
Yeah. Oh, yeah?
Yeah. Oh, he always comes up to me and talks about you.
Like, have you, we have to get a picture so I can sit at the egg.
Okay, yes, we should do that.
It's one of her dad's best friends. It's a small world.
Yeah. Here's my question for you.
Do you stock your pond or lake? Is it a lake or a pond?
It's a, it's a, lakeish pond.
Do you stalk it?
It's stocked.
Okay, now the question is, this is a big debate I've had my whole life.
Okay.
Can you show off a stocked fish as a brag picture?
You know, I guess it depends on...
And if you do, do you have to...
I say if you do, because I have a lot of friends who stocked their ponds.
Yeah.
Then they'll hold it up and be like, look what I caught today at the pond.
Like, if you don't hashtag like stocked pond, I don't think it's fair to just show it like you caught on the lake.
True.
And first of all, though, all my fish and pictures are completely shady.
I just want to be honest, because I can make a small fish look really nice.
I do that with girls.
Yeah.
I actually do that with myself.
What?
With other pictures.
What?
Oh.
What?
I don't get it.
I get it.
I know exactly what he's saying.
But no, you should because now ours is, our place is pretty big, but we have stalked it.
Yeah.
So it's totally true.
My kids are more about going out on that dock
And they like they like
They like rapid fishing
They like to go out there
Whether it's the little you know
You get the Zepko?
What are they fishing with?
What kind of rod and real they got?
They've got these little dock demons
But these little Zepko dock demons
There's small little rods which are really cool
And then we got the little classic
Just you know
Classic
What is it the 303?
Can they use those?
Yeah
Yeah
They like it
And I take the boys fishing down on the coast.
They love fishing for reds.
So we catch all those reds down on the coast.
And then we bring them and all year long,
we'll freeze them and cook them.
The boys love to fish.
You know, it's interesting about your,
by the way, Aaron Watson's here,
he's got a new record out.
You wrote all these songs.
And not just you wrote all the songs,
because, and it's not traditional
that an artist writes every song
at this point of their crew,
but you wrote them all by yourself.
Yeah.
You wrote every one of these songs by yourself.
Yeah.
It's the first time that I've heard of that happening.
well it's it's taken me a long time to get to this point in my career you know and it's the first
time it's the first album I've released after having some top 40 radio success I mean it took me
18 years to get a top 10 on country radio so I wanted to I wanted to put forth my my best
album ever and I didn't want it to be an EP I wanted this to be the opposite of an EP
the opposite of an EP and if there was ever a time for me to put out the album of my
my career, this was it, you know, and I've got a lot of great people working for me. And that's a little
intimidating when you have like two dozen people that are relying on you. So I didn't want to let
them down. I mean, it keeps me up at night, but I poured my heart into this one. Like if I had to
sell the ranch in the house to back this album, like, I'm ready to sell it all for this moment.
Here is Red Bandana. It's also the name of the record. I still see the salt rings on his old 20
Exorzis.
Tell me about this song.
Just a cowboy poem.
Yeah.
I wrote the song before it is called Riding with Red.
And it fades into this song, which is like part two of riding with Red, which is about
my hero Red Stigall.
But the whole record, it's kind of like a Pink Floyd record.
You know how that tells a story?
Like one to the next?
One to the next transitions.
One song fades into the other.
But does it go with the Wizard of Oz.
a question. It could.
If you play it, if you play it.
You got to pick a different movie. Yeah, you got to
totally pick a different movie. I did some things
cool. Like I recorded the sound of
the train at
the ranch. I recorded my
grandmother's wind chimes. Both my grandmothers have passed
away. So I recorded their
wind chimes. My dad
is a big part
of my
musical influence. And my mom is too.
My mom would slap me in the back of the head if I wasn't
singing at church. But my dad
is a disabled veteran.
And growing up, he was a custodian.
And my work ethic comes from my dad.
And I tell this story a lot.
But this is that moment in my life that defined me.
And I was around 11 or 12.
All my buddies were going swimming that day.
I wanted to go swimming with my friends.
And my dad was like, I really need your help cleaning today.
And I just was acting like a typical 11, 12 year old kid,
throwing a fit, acting like a brat.
And we were at this church.
We were cleaning toilets.
on the big yellow rubber gloves and we're scrubbing toilets and I'm like I hate this dad all my buddies
are swimming all my buddies are this and having fun and I'm cleaning toilets and my dad was in the
stall next to me and dad he peeks his head around the stall and he said hey and I looked at him
he goes do you think when I was your age that I wanted to grow up to become a custodian and I didn't say
anything and he said but he said i got drafted and i went to the war and he said and i got i got
injured and he said this is not how i thought life was going to be for me but this is this is my life
and my dad said and because of this job i'm able to take care of you and your sister and your
mother and he said so i'm going to show thanks and appreciation for this job that god's blessed me with
And you can bet that these are going to be the cleanest toilets in town.
And I never complained ever again because it made me realize like, wow, it's not really about what you do.
It's how do you do it.
And I wrote a song for mom and dad on this record called Country Radio.
And I got to sing it at the opera to my mom.
Oh, that's cool.
Which is really cool.
But before the song starts, when my dad and I were cleaning, he had this little dolly with a track.
can strapped to it with all the cleaning supplies and then he had an old AM FM radio wired to the handle
and we always listened to country radio on that old radio so before their song I found the old radio
and I recorded just the a.m. fuzz of me changing the channel and it was interesting the first the first time
I recorded it I was I was surfing through the AM channels getting that that fuzz sound and my mom
was right there and I went I was going slow
and all of a sudden I heard a voice and it said
everything's changed
and I just stopped and I was like
that's going to go on the record so that's how
I start off their record is
dad's
dad's old radio that we used for years
you know
cleaning and so it's it's
I poured my heart I like literally
this album's all heart
you know and I've been very vulnerable with this record
I'm I'm more nervous than I've
ever been and
you know it's
I don't know there's some
there's some songs on here where it's like I aired some
dirty laundry
like if you read the lyrics you're like wow
this guy has some messed up moments
in his life this guy's not perfect
and um I don't know that it took me
it's taking me this 20 years to get
I guess the confidence to be like
okay you know here it is
love it or leave it
you know what nerves mean that it matters
yeah and that's all we're searching for
things that matter.
Yeah.
Our moments of things mattering.
Oh, yeah.
Our whole life is we're trying to find those spots where things matter.
Does this matter?
Does this matter?
And when it does, it's actually worth something.
Oh, yeah.
That's where we get it.
You know, what you've done over the last several years is amazing.
You know, I've read some snippets of your books and just videos of you.
And it's amazing.
And that's inspirational.
And I think that does a lot for a lot of us just knowing like, hey, you know,
it's like be the best that you can.
be and use your, um, use your platform to bless others. And, uh, you know, one of the songs on the
record is, it's called Try and Like the Devil. And, um, I wrote that song after a boy from our
community committed suicide. He was a week away from becoming an Eagle Scout and just heartbreaking. And
no one knew this kid was going through such pain. And his dad got on Facebook and he just said,
I wish people would be more real on social media.
I wish they wouldn't portray perfection.
He said, I feel like these kids,
they don't feel like they can live up to that.
And I wrote, that's the day I wrote the song,
Trying Like the Devil.
And where basically it's like one of the lines in the second verse says,
so beware of broken glass,
should you stare into the window of my soul?
and judge me not.
I only bear it all
so you know that you are not alone.
And I wrote this song for anybody
who's feeling down in the dumps
so that they know that like, hey,
errands like this too sometimes.
I'm not alone in this.
And I had a young man come to one of my shows
in the last week,
and he's a veteran, and he suffers from PTSD,
and he and his wife were there with me.
And he said, man, I struggle with suicidal tendencies.
And he said, I listen to this song every morning
and it helps me get my mind right.
And that's where I was like, man, that's kind of what I feel like my calling is,
is just making music that has meaning and it's going to help people, you know.
So that's, it's taking me, it's only taking me, you know, 20 years, 16 albums and like 3,000 shows
to finally figure out what I'm supposed to be doing.
Only taking that long to be an overnight success.
That's right.
Yeah.
I get called up and coming all the time.
And I'm not really up and coming.
I'm just like slow and steady.
I'm finally kind of showing up.
Yeah.
That's awesome, man.
I'm just slow and steady.
I love the fact that you wrote all the songs by yourself.
That's really cool.
The record is Red Bandana.
We played Kiss That Girl Goodbye earlier.
It's good to see you, man.
Hey, thanks for having me.
And the thing that's most important that everyone needs to know,
all your listeners need to know,
is that all the proceeds from this album,
down to the very last penny,
all the proceeds go directly into my wife's purse.
I get paid nothing.
So it's a worthy cause.
She's a great girl.
Good for you.
Amazing.
I was like, oh, wow, he's, whoa.
He's donating.
And then I was like, okay, I get it.
You get it, man.
Hey, listen, Aaron does a lot.
Aaron does a lot.
That's a funny joke, though, because I was like,
huh, I didn't, I started to feel stupid
because I kind of know everything about it.
And I was like, I didn't know this.
I didn't know this talking point.
There's a twist.
There's a twist.
There's definitely a twist.
Good to see you, man.
Thank you.
Thank you all for having me.
There he is.

Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So how do you like your steak?
Medium well, like more on the cook side.
And I know that I'm looked down.
on, but I'm from Arkansas.
I'm from a small town in Arkansas.
We cook our meat.
Can't believe that, but I even like it kind of burnt a little bit.
You probably want A1 sauce on it too.
Oh.
A1 me up.
I want ketchup if I'm having it.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm still a little bit of a hillbilly.
That is true.
Yes.
Why do you ask?
Well, because Longhorn Steak House is about to roll out a new dessert.
Ice cream with actual chunks of steak mixed in.
It's called steak and bourbon ice cream.
It's going to go on sale July 1st.
Yeah, it's covered in bourbon-flavored caramel sauce and something called steak sprinkles.
You know, I'm going to tell you, it does sound weird at first.
But they don't put stuff out like this that hasn't been tested.
So it must be good.
Those maple donuts with bacon on top.
Those are pretty good.
Those are really good.
Yeah, those are good.
Yeah, what else you got?
Okay, so Tupac's prison ID is hitting the auction block.
So, Tupac, he's the most famous person ever incarcerated at Clinton Correctional Facility in New York.
Is that right?
Yeah.
He's the what again?
The most famous person that's been locked up there.
And, you know, obviously, even though he's famous and everybody probably knew that was Tupac, he still needed a prison ID.
And now it can be yours for like $2,000.
Oh, wow.
I mean, I honestly thought it was going to go for more than that, but kind of crazy.
You went to prison in New York?
Yeah.
I thought he was West Coast.
Went over West Coast.
You know, Tupac's...
I don't know the whole story, Bones.
I'm watching it right now.
It was weird when he went over.
to the West Coast because California, he's up in California.
He does California luck, he started to feel California.
He was friends with Biggie on the East Coast.
Yeah, that makes sense.
Thanks, guys.
I'm welcome.
Dang, when he was locked up, he wrote a letter to his then-girlfriend with some artwork,
and that sold earlier this year for $21,000.
Really?
Yeah.
Do you know, like, if I started here, do you know all of it from here at this point?
Don't.
Like second verse is where it goes.
I don't really got no for the second verse.
Sorry.
Hold on.
Try it.
Now ain't nobody tell us it was fair.
No love for my daddy because the coward wasn't there.
Second verse gets it.
She blanked that.
I know.
But do you know, can you do it from the instrumental version with no words?
Ooh.
From the beginning.
Let's jump and Amy trying to do two pop.
Harpers you.
Yeah.
When I was young, me and my mama had beef 17 years old kicked out on the streets.
Though back in the time I never thought I'd see a face.
a woman alive that could take my mama's place suspended from school scared to go home was a fool
with the big boys breaking all the rules and even though we had different dad is the same drama
when things went wrong we blame mama a reminisce all the stress that caused it was hell
hugging on my mama from a jail cell and who'd think in elementary a i'd see the penitentiary
one day running from the police that's right
Catch a whoop and took my open to my backside.
And even as a crack theme, Mama, you always was a black queen.
Mama.
And I understand.
For a woman, it ain't easy.
Trying to raise a man.
And then I, come on.
Bring it back around to the hook.
Here we go.
Lady.
Place no one above your sweet lady.
Don't you know I love.
Love you sweet.
Come on.
Wow.
Amy.
That's good.
That was solid.
Instrumental is hard.
I know and no words in front of you and I just threw it on you.
That was solid.
That was great.
That was great.
All right.
Amy, what else you got over there?
Okay.
We'd make her go right back to it.
No wind or lung.
Oh, Amy, and what's next?
Third story in the file.
So if you're into snakes, you can go to this massage place.
And this woman named Serpentessa will give you a service that is a massage that lasts about
an hour, but 15 minutes
of that hour involves letting multiple
boa constrictors slither across your
body. Not appealing to me.
It makes lunchbox on a vomit problem. I can't
even... Oh. The snake
therapist herself admits she cannot control
where the snakes go on a person's body.
Serpentessa does not say that her snakes
have never hurt anyone either.
A lot of waivers.
So, I don't know.
I mean, I mostly pulled the story for lunchbox.
You're out of luck.
Where's that snake going?
She can't control that, Eddie.
All right, there you go.
Amy?
That's your pile.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So when Pedro the Turtle was adopted, he was already missing one of his back legs.
And then one day he escaped and ran away.
And the other leg went missing.
The other back one.
And he has nothing wrong with him.
They took him to the vet and they're like, nope, he's just accident prone.
Poor little Pedro.
Climsy turtle.
Now he has no back legs.
So the vet started working on any ideas to help him get around.
And a zoo logical intern or something like that went to the toy star,
toy store, got a Lego car kit and McIvered him a little.
Yeah, out of Legos.
That's pretty cute.
A turtle on a Lego wheelchair.
Name Pedro.
Name Pedro.
All the things are just cute.
And I don't know who this intern is, but.
But shout out.
That poor turtle is losing legs.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, listen, that's what it's all about.
Good for that intern, too.
I know.
Making a little turtle.
Well, listen, here's the thing.
It's not just about that turtle.
Now they know how to make wheelchairs for all the turtles that come in.
Hey, that's good news.
That's positivity.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
There you go.
Let me say this.

All right.
Morning, corny.
What do you call a sausage that's annoying?
Sausage annoying.
A link?
Sausage patty.
Breakfast sausage?
Chorizo?
Oh, yeah.
What if we go with the annoying?
What if it's like nagging?
Nagy paddy.
And then a link.
What do you call a sausage that's annoying?
What do you call a sausage?
What sausage?
Link
Sausage
Be annoying
annoying
Why would a sausage
Why would a sausage be annoying
Like because they won't stop talking
What if it's
What if it's
Pull it in a sausage

He's making dumb comments on Instagram about me
And bad segments that I do
So annoying

Waking up early in the morning
Smoke summer sausage
Yeah
Jimmy Dean
Oh Jimmy Dean
He's so annoying
He's so annoying
He hurt
What about you got anything?
I'm stuck on annoying.
I keep saying annoying sausage.
Why don't you focus on sausage?
Trust me.
I have.
It's not for me.
Sausage.
We have 30 seconds to try to figure this out.
Sausage.
Sassy?
That's where I was going.
Okay, don't go there.
That's sassy sausage?
Oh.
Oh, that's it?
That's it?
Not yet.
Wait a time.
Go ahead.
15 seconds.
15 seconds.
What if it's like sausage?
What's in the?
Casing?
Yes.
Sausage casing?
Boy, Amy, we're not even close, are we?
Five seconds.
I thought that y'all kind of work your way there.
An annoying sausage would be a pestering...
Peter.
We're going to go with an annoying sausage,
a.k.a. pestering Peter.
Yeah, good. Good answer. Good answer.
I almost had two ways that y'all could go to give you two opportunities for...
Here we go.
The morning corny.
What do you call a sausage that's annoying?
What do you call a sausage that's annoying?
The worst.
Oh, brawurst.
I hate when sausages are such brats.
Get it?
Double up on us.
That was the morning.
Good job, good job.
We didn't get it back.
It could have been brats or worst.
Better luck next time, boys.
No, really, we got to have better luck because we did not do good.
Y'all did not.
Y'all were like, Jimmy D.
We started heckling poor Jimmy.
Dean for no reason. He's like, he's a lot of noise. Yeah, you don't even know him. Yeah.

So you and your son get into it a little bit a couple nights ago?
Yes.
Because he won't say yes, ma'am.
Yeah, for hours.
Well, I mean, it was a whole disrespect.
It was layers of disrespect.
but I went with the stuck with the yes ma'am and that's what I made him right a hundred times.
And that took him a while.
Over three hours.
With a dinner break.
Oh, good for you.
And oh, that break where he had to sit and that break we had to sit and stare at the wall because he wrote on the counter.
That break.
It was a tough night as a parent.
So we finished the show.
We talked about it yesterday.
You got people from both sides.
Hey, support you.
Hey, don't support you.
But that's just life of being a public figure.
You put your life out there.
Right.
Hopefully people relate to you.
you? Yes. So, you go home and then what happens yesterday? So yesterday, he bought me flowers. He was at the
store and he saw the flowers and he was like, hey, can I buy these for mom? But I want to use my own money.
So he was with your husband? No, he was with Kara. She helps us with the kids. So, and she was like,
okay. So, so she bought them and then he paid her back with his own money. Did he buy them because he
felt like he was a brat?
He felt like he wanted to apologize.
He knew that he had had a bad day.
He'll kind of, his thing to do is like whisper, like, come here, mom.
And then he'll whisper, he's like, I've been bad today.
Because you had a bad day.
And so yesterday, he gave me the flowers, and he's like, come here, I need to tell you something.
And he whispered in my ear and he goes, I've been good today.
And then he was like, and I want you to have these, use his own money.
And then he apologized.
And it was a whole thing.
and he said, yes, ma'am, all yesterday.
And yes, sir, to my husband.
You don't like flowers.
I know this.
You're not a flower person.
So, of course, I love them and put them in water right away, and they're like out, and they're so beautiful and they're so cute.
And my husband's like, oh, this doesn't happen when I get you flowers because he knows that I'm just not a big.
I don't want to, flowers are really amazing.
I think they're special.
And I'll send them to friends and family.
And I think they play a role.
But, like, for me, to my husband, a lot of times.
he was doing it a lot to where I was like,
this is like money.
How terrible that you get a lot of money.
No, I know, I know.
But it's like, you know, money.
And so I'm like, hey, you can save the money.
Like, it's okay.
That's, I don't need the flowers.
And so he, like, has, that was a couple years ago that I finally confessed after, like,
10 years of marriage that I was like, you can stop buying me flowers.
Did you almost cry, though, when your son gave you the flowers?
I mean, I just, no, I thought it was sweet.
I didn't almost cry.
But I thought it was sweet.
And I definitely cherished a flower.
so I think my husband was a little jealous.
That's cool, though.
He's eight.
He's eight.
And he said, you know what, I messed up?
I want to buy flowers from mom because I know I messed up.
And his way of saying, I'm sorry, was I've been good today.
Yes.
That's cool.
I know.
I was like, progress.
Okay.
That's like a good human thing, too, that I still struggle with.
Like, I think we, I have that where I'm like, oh, sorry is tough.
Yeah.
I know.
I'm wrong.
It's tough.
Especially for me.
Especially for him.
Because he's been, like,
in an orphanage by himself for so long.
Right.
And for him to have to show vulnerability and go,
hey, this stinks, I've been wrong.
Like, that's a really tough thing.
And it takes him a while to process.
What is, for him, he's still learning like any kid.
What is right from wrong and knowing.
Yeah.
It's hard.
So to process that and to turn it around and make it learn from it and grow from it.
That's awesome.
So hopefully, we'll see if it sticks.
It won't.
It won't stick.
Oh, I know.
I know we're going to have, trust me.
Yes.
I've been on this roller coaster ride for about a year and a half
No, it's fine.
But this is the first time I've used that writing technique, and I feel like,
maybe you should need to carry a notepad around with me.
And any time they start acting up, I'm like, bust out your pen.
Write this down 100 times.
I like that story, though.
Yeah.
That makes my heart feel good.
Yeah, it's a learning moment for our whole family.
All right, let's open up for the press conference.
Yes.
A lot of people in the room here want to ask questions about my dating life.
I've tried to get out of this segment.
I don't want to go first.
Everybody, calm down.
Calm down in the back.
Let's go to Eddie from the Detroit Post.
Hi, Bobby. Hey, Eddie here, Detroit Post.
Okay.
Yes, first question.
Are you, have you gone on any dates with a celebrity that all of us would know?
Now, some of these am I have to lean on Mike D for because, you know, my whole thing on fame.
Nobody's famous to everyone.
Right.
But everybody's famous to someone.
Right.
So let's us, so the question, I guess, means.
famous to anyone.
It's famous so weird these days.
Mike D, what would you say to that?
I would say yes.
Oh, okay.
And if so...
No, no, no.
This is not the debate last night
where you get to keep talking over people.
Like what list were you going to ask
what list they're on?
A, B, C, or D.
Yeah, my D, answer that.
These are yes or no questions only,
that you know the rules of this.
Okay.
No, no, you've already asked the question.
You're off.
Sorry, sir, Eddie, Detroit Press.
No. Lunchbox, you're up, buddy.
Lunchbox here from just a blog on
line.
Yeah.
It's called Lunchbox's blog.
Question, do you have anybody, any fishes on the line that you've been chatting with that you've yet to go out with?
You're just waiting for the right time to bite.
To bite.
To bite.
Yeah.
Fishes on the line that I'm going to bite.
I don't.
That's a tough question.
I don't think so.
You don't think so.
So you've been talking to me over, but you're not interested or, I mean, you got to.
You ask the question.
Yeah, but I'll say no.
I'm just going to answer no.
You have no fish on the line?
I'm telling you.
That he doesn't want to bite.
Do you have a reel in the water?
You got to put that pool in the water.
Okay, you're not letting me talk, so I'm not answering.
Oh, sorry.
Clarifying.
Okay, next up.
Morgan number two?
She probably knows too much.
Go ahead.
Is there anybody that you're hoping, wait.
Is there anybody you're hoping for a response back from?
Oh, no.
I just asked.
No, it's not.
No, it's not. No, there's not.
I'm telling you guys, I'm boring. There's nothing.
There is something, but there's nothing.
What does that mean?
You can't say that. Go ahead, Amy.
Hi, hi, Amy here.
Yeah, go ahead.
Four Things with Amy from...
Okay.
Look at your old calendar over there.
You got your computer.
When is the last time you went on a date?
Last week.
Last week!
What?
Last week.
Why are you acting like that?
Y'all are not shocked by that?
No.
What?
I am.
The dude's single.
Yeah, but I didn't know he was dating right now.
That's why we're asking all these questions.
There's peaks and there's valleys.
I thought we were in the valley.
Well, we're not, we're just, I'm just living and I'm not pushing my pressure on myself.
Wait.
Ooh, this is a good follow-up to that question.
Any other question, please?
Hold on.
What did we do last week?
Wait, did you go on a date when you, in, uh...
Is Bear Grills one of your dates?
Don't say where I went.
Don't say where I went. No.
Did you like get on a worldwide app?
Happened in that tent.
What is that app where it's like wherever you are you can like find someone close by?
No.
No.
Okay.
All right.
Are we good?
No, Ramundo.
Yep.
Raymond is in the other room.
He still is a fair question.
I don't even think he can hear me in there.
Yeah.
You had a date last week?
Raymondo, your mic's up.
Talk.
always coming in the room. How is there even time?
Raymundo, what's up, buddy?
Yeah, so we're asking questions still about this?
Yeah, if you want to. I'm trying to get out of it.
At your house pool, you've had Amy's family
over there, some kids in the pool. I want to
know how many chicks this summer. It's summer months.
Have you had in that pool? Zero.
Oh. What? Yeah.
You might as well get rid of the pool.
Dude, that pool. I've never had a girl over
to the pool, ever.
You're talking about? Why not?
I don't know.
You're telling me you don't ever
Just texting me like, hey, you want to come swimming?
Not one time.
I mean, that is a...
That would be weird.
No, no, no, it works.
It does.
It does work.
Speaking from when you...
Hey, I've been house sitting before and someone had a pool and I've hit some chicks up.
Say, hey, you want to come for a swim?
They come right on over.
I know, never.
Not this week, ever.
Never.
I've never been like, hey, I mean, should I?
Yes.
Take it to the deep end.
I think you guys just think I'm working some sort of mystery game.
You have to, like, tread water in the defense.
That's all right.
I'll help each other out.
Is everybody good?
We're all square.
We really learned nothing here, but we finished the segment.
No, you didn't even, I mean, you were going to expand to my question.
I think we learned he went on a date last week, and I have no idea with who.
I didn't even know he went on a date.
Do you want to see?
I'll show you.
Come here.
You're going to show her picture of the girl you wanted to date with?
Amy, get her profession while you're over there.
I used to do a dumb segment to figure it out.
Is this one of the fishers you kept on the line but didn't want to bite?
What do you mean?
Oh, what?
What?
What?
What?
You know her?
You know her?
You know her?
Relax.
Wait, I just.
Amy, is she famous?
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.
Amy doesn't know her.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, my gosh.
Now that I'm thinking back to it, you said something to me about her, but not that you went on a date.
Relax.
What is it that you said?
Relax.
You were just talking to me about her.
Relax.
And I thought it was like.
You're spoiling a movie right now.
This is good.
Oh.
At first I was like, wow, she's really pretty.
Like, where in the world did you meet this girl?
And then I look closer and I'm like, oh my gosh.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Famous.
Whoa.
Amy, how do you know her?
I can't say.
Have you ever...
I don't know that I've ever met her.
Right, okay.
Yeah, she's famous.
All right, we're done.
We're done.
But maybe I've met her.
We're going to say too much, Amy.
But I'm passing.
I'm done with the segment.
One more question.
One more question.
Bobby, are you going to follow up date with this one?
Yeah.
Love it.
Oh, wow.
I love it.
So, when?
Tonight.
You probably already have it planned
You've already had to have texted about it
If it was a week ago
You've already been like
What's the schedule?
Listen
Here's my schedule
You want to hang or nah
That's a good point
All right
Thank you all for your time
Yeah thanks Bobby
All right we're down
We'll do this again next month
Okay all right
Very good
Bobby Bones
Yeah
The Bobby Bones show
Did you watch any of the debate last night
No
Okay I love debates
Love of all things
Where people get up
And argue with each other
And so I'm watching last night
First of all, it was broken.
They couldn't fix the microphones.
Oh, that's the worst.
And it was just like, what's happening?
Like you couldn't hear people talk?
You heard everybody talk.
Every microphone was on in the entire city.
And so they had to go to commercial.
Here's a clip of it last night.
Get these guns off the streets.
What's happening?
Those aren't even the candidates.
Those are people with microphones
like in the back in the control room.
Bring our colleagues audio.
If the control room can turn off the
likes of our previous moderators, we will...
I think it's the prior moderators.
For everything.
Guess what, guys?
I mean, it was mayhem.
Wow.
I love the mayhem, by the way.
It was good.
So, I'm watching that.
And then I wonder,
they go and they just,
the candidates early on for no reason
to start speaking Spanish
so they can speak Spanish.
Oh, great.
And I felt it was a little awkward.
Like, I think you have to set it up and go.
And I'd like to now speak in Spanish
because they wanted to prove they can speak to different people.
And so here, this is Beto, Cory Booker,
and they're just like total, as you would say,
flexing their Spanish.
And then Julian Castro too, but here you go.
This is Beto, just out of nowhere.
The representation and every voice,
we need to hear.
It's Cory Booker.
Acceptable.
It's the president to attack.
has demonized
the immigrants.
It's unacceptable.
I'm going to
change our rest.
And then Julian Castro,
who was mayor of San Antonio for a while.
And I love that they were doing it, but they got to be like,
now I'm going to say this in space.
Because they didn't.
They were just like, that's a great question.
And they just talk in Spanish.
It just felt forced.
We're just not looking for forced.
I do like things I speak Spanish.
If anyone speaks in Pig Latin tonight, I'm a don't do.
Like they come out and they're like,
Mae, oh, so.
A. Adley, gladly.
And no one understands them.
And you're like,
huh?
But it was a little bit of, as I would say,
S show last night.
That's a bummer.
I think somebody's still has their job?
There were too many people.
It's 10 last night and 10 tonight.
Oh.
But I do watch.
I do like politics.
I do like watching all that stuff.
But it was, I just felt like the,
you can't force stuff.
You got to be like,
now I want to speak in Spanish to those.
And then you do it.
Right.
Anyway, my take.
night. That's what I was doing, was yelling at the TV.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
I love a dog story. I love the dogs.
Four-month-old Bella survived 13 days without food or water after her owner crashed his car.
This adopted lab puppy on her way home, in the car, car wrecks.
There's mayhem.
The dog runs out of there.
He was driving her to Southern California after he adopted her a few states away,
rolled the SUV.
The dog disappeared.
She was found two weeks later by volunteers.
Her leash tangled on a bush.
She spent four days at a local hospital, like a vet hospital, got a blood transfusion from a greyhound.
Oh, wow.
And since then, reunited.
Good.
Everybody good.
Everybody good.
Everybody good.
That's crazy.
Love it.
I can just think how scary that dog was, but, yeah, man, that is what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
Hello?
Hi.
Hi.
Hi, this is Madeline.
Hi, Madeline, go ahead.
Hey, yeah.
So I guess I texted it in and just said that the whole point of them speaking Spanish
was to talk to the Spanish base.
And so for them to introduce it in English and everything,
kind of would take away from that because they're not really talking to us English
speakers.
They're supposed to be like talking to the Spanish speaking base.
And so it was for them.
And so maybe introducing it in English saying, hey, I'm going to talk to other people now, kind of takes away from that moment with them.
Well, not for me because I was like, wait, what just happened?
And all everybody else was looking at them.
And then they all tried outdo each other.
Right.
And it started turning into like a Spanish battle.
Yeah.
No, it was a bit of awkward TV last night.
And I just wish that these candidates would talk more like humans.
So that was my time.
And I understand your point.
I think it's fantastic.
I wish someone would get up tonight and just be like, all right, now I shall speak Dutch.
And everyone's like, wait, what?
Anyway, I appreciate that call, though, and I do understand your point.
And that's why I wanted to put you on.
Well, I appreciate it.
I love you guys.
Thank you.
Amy, you're great.
Lunchbox, everyone.
Everyone's great.
Eddie, Bobby, you're amazing.
So thanks for letting me come on and talk.
Well, thanks for texting, too.
And I could tell by the text, she was like, Bobby, and I have to need to say something.
So we called her.
And then she texted back and goes, eke, okay.
Hey, thank you.
Hey, thank you for the call. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Thank you. Where do you live, by the way?
I live just outside of Chicago.
Okay, well, oh, Eddie and are coming.
Yeah. You should come watching.
I know, I know. I'm trying to talk my husband and come in, so we might be there.
Hold on. I'll tell you what. I'll give you tickets right now because you did text,
and I'll just give you tickets and you can watch it in Chicago. How does that sound?
Oh my gosh. That's amazing.
Okay. So don't hang up. And here's how this whole thing worked.
I just want to show an example to our listeners.
What's your name again?
Because you're not on my screen here.
Tell me your name.
Madeline.
Madeline.
This is a great example of you texted in, a little irritated with me, and I'm totally okay with that.
And I called because I thought we could talk it out.
And by the end, we're best friends, and I'm going to give her tickets to come watch a goofy comedy show.
This is how America works.
Full circle.
Exactly.
Yes.
Madeline's like, exactly.
Madeline, hang on.
I'm going to get tickets to come watch us in Chicago, okay?
Okay.
Oh, my gosh.
That's amazing.
Hold on one minute.
Um, hold.
By the way, bad news, we will not be in our new studio on Friday.
Oh, want, won.
And nobody wanted to tell me.
It was, they were all going on who's going to tell Bobby.
Oh, man.
And so I got a call from Rod, like a boss yesterday and was like, all right, I've been voted to tell you.
Studio will not be done Friday.
They met him tell you.
So I quit.
Oh, that's it.
I'm done.
And now, okay.
What?
Well, I mean, you went and took a tour, though, didn't you?
How do you feel good about it?
Nothing's ever done on time.
The only time anything ever gets done.
done on time is when I do it. That's what I feel in my life.
Like, you want something done on time? Me.
It sounds like my dad right now. Yeah.
Yeah, but there's a lot going on in there. You couldn't do all that.
Could you?
No, but I just, I just, I just, be out of Y like crazy.
On YouTube.
As soon as I hit on, it would blow up. Boom. It just explode.
Hey, we're going to play this game where I have the background vocals of a song, like a track.
And that's, da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. I would
We'll walk 500 miles.
The Proclaimers.
All right, you ready?
All right, so they're all formats.
So we'll go with this one.
Can you name this one?
Write your answer down.
Name the background vocals to this one.
He walks hot.
He looks hot.
Every day.
All right.
Do you know the name of that song?
Everybody's writing their answer.
I'm in for the win.
Yeah, I'm in.
Amy?
Bohemian Rhapsody?
No, but it is queen.
Oh, okay.
Lunchbox?
Bohemian Rhapsody.
Nobody this queen.
Eddie?
Somebody to love.
Okay, okay, okay.
That's a tough one.
I'm going to play the background vocals from a song, name this song.
Here we go.
We need the title?
I'm in.
I'm in.
I'm in for the win.
Amy?
I'm in.
Circle of Life
Lunchbox
Circle of Life
Eddie?
Circle of Life
Yeah, that's exactly
what it is
The background vocal
Okay, okay
Here's this one right here
This is old
This is many many many years ago
If you should ever leave me
The life would still go on
Believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would live in to me
Amy?
I mean, I think I know who it is
You probably know who it is, yeah
I don't know.
Sergeant Pepper
No, you don't know who it is.
You don't know who it is.
No, it's not who it is.
Lunchbox?
Yeah, leaving on a jet plane.
Oh, no.
No, don't be John Denver,
but it's not that song.
Eddie?
I feel bad for knowing this.
Go ahead.
God only knows.
Speech boys.
I'm sorry, guys.
Oh, okay.
I hear that now.
The background,
what is it legit.
And that's like the whole wall of sound.
Like, there's just so many.
Yeah, it's cool.
There's a really, really contemporary one, okay?
Okay.
Super pop song.
New-ish pop song.
Oh, okay.
Background vocals to it.
I'm in.
You heard a little bit there.
I did.
I'm in.
I'm in for the win.
Amy?
Seven rings.
Lunchbox?
Taylor Swift, hate me.
Eddie?
Seven rings.
Yeah, seven rings.
Ariana Grande.
Yeah.
Another one more.
No one will get this one.
If you do know it, yell it out.
Wake up.
I disquoise the feet.
You wanted to.
Oh.
You wanted to.
Do you want to do?
I hear what I say.
You wanted to?
You wanted to.
You know that one?
Wake up.
God smack.
It's not God's smack.
I'll say insane in the membrane.
No, Amy, anything?
No.
It's system of the down chop suey.
How about this one here?
Love and treat you write.
Ooh, Bob Marley.
Yeah, back on vocals.
Yeah.
Day and every night.
What song is this, though?
Is this love?
Is this love?
Wow.
Who's our winner?
Eddie?
Oh, dude.
You feel bad?
I feel bad.
Why?
Because there was no way they were going to get a lot of those.
And I'm like beach boys.
Come on.
We call like it is.
I know.
I feel bad.
Sorry, guys.
He feels bad because he won.
Wow.
How insulting is it to YouTube players?
It's like the U.S. women's soccer team.
Oh, wow.
He just, like, dominates him.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay.
There you go.
Da-da-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta.
These are hotel workers sharing secrets that would horrify guests.
Sometimes you've got to stay in a hotel.
I travel a lot for work.
Oh, I don't want to know these secrets.
You don't?
I mean, okay.
Want to cancel the segment?
No, I mean, I guess we should know, but then it's like, you know,
out of sight, out of mind, and now it's going to be in my mind.
But I'll forget about them.
Okay.
Go ahead.
Ready.
Number one.
The dirtiest part of the hotel room or the hotel period is something that no one thinks about,
which is the room key.
So they're like, don't touch the room key.
Nobody ever cleans them?
You have to touch it.
You get them and they're brand new and you throw them away.
Are you getting the card?
I thought that was like a new one for each person.
I leave mine on my room.
And they probably recycle them.
If someone dies,
in a room, they get rid of the body and quickly book the room again.
What? Stop it.
N'uh.
Housekeeping never cleans inside the drawers or the nightstands, ever.
So that's gross. A mattress isn't replaced if someone has an accident in the bed.
They don't rep- They try to clean as much they can, like scrub it, but it's...
Okay.
You're on pee-bed.
Also, some hotels won't delete accidental charges unless the guest catches them.
So...
You have to be on that.
You got to be on it and look at your bill and make sure.
Sure. The laundry room that used for folding bed sheets, they say you can actually sneak in there.
What? They're like, if they're like going to get away, you can sneak into that.
But then they talk about things. There's a housekeeper who used the same cleaning right to clean the toilets and everywhere else in the room.
Okay, no, that's my nightmare. For anybody cleaning anything, I'm like, this, ugh. No, separate rags, please, sponges.
TV remotes are never cleaned, ever.
Yeah.
They're instructed not to delete accidental charges.
You know that one.
They never watch the comforters.
And then like the cups.
Like I've heard you're not supposed to ever use the glass cups in there.
Like just don't.
And they say also, speaking to don't, don't ever, not that you have one on you,
but don't take a black light into a hotel room because you'll see all the stains.
All the body everywhere.
We should do that.
Oh, no.
Amy didn't even want to do this segment.
Much I was going to a hotel room and actually try some of the stuff.
I was watching Luke Combs's Twitter yesterday and he's like,
Hey, I'm going to put up some new songs and release stuff.
You guys cool with that?
And like 10 men, people were like, yep, we're cool.
We're cool with that.
Guys crushing it right now.
Also crushing to Amy's podcast called Four Things with Amy Brown.
Yeah, and Corey Robertson for Duck Dynasty, huh?
Yeah.
How good was she?
She's so nice.
She's just awesome.
Like, for me, I was like, okay, she's a wise woman.
I want to take notes.
She talked about you and your husband's fight over her song and the fries.
Oh, the French fried debate that I brought to y'all about my son.
and the fries. Oh, your son. Yeah. I was like, I was written salt. No, I just had, I wanted to know what would
Corey and Willie Robertson do in that case? Because y'all all sided with my husband. Wait, we had to
retell the story really quick, though. Stevenson touched all the French fries. So my husband was like,
that's it. Everyone was going to eat from those. But since you touched them all, now you have to
eat every single fry, even if you're sick, you're eating them all. That's your punishment. You'll never
do that again. And I was like, no. And I took the fries and I threw them away. It was like,
the punishment is they're thrown away. Now he doesn't get any. So then she,
said what she would do. Yeah. The kids need to see a unified front because they sense like whenever
you're not together and they will utilize it to their best benefits. So like we did try to like
at least in front. Now we might go back to the bedroom and argue like for an hour over how one of
us handled it. But in front of the kids we tried to at least act like like we agreed. This is from
Amy's podcast. The problem was I stepped in and threw the fries away after my husband already made a
decision and we did not have a unified front. So I took that advice from her. She agreed with me about
throwing out the fries?
I gave you the same exact advice.
Yeah, I think we all said the same thing.
Yeah.
We don't have ducks.
Yeah, we're on beards.
Dang.
Oh, whatever.
She's a mom of six.
Yeah, and she also has adopted.
She has adopted, yes.
Yeah, from another country.
So here you go.
So she came and could not speak a word of English, which was crazy.
She attached to me.
It was like having another child because she was 16, but it was like having another
like five-year-old.
She was so attached to me.
And I had to read to her every night, but we had little kids.
So we just read every night.
and that's how she learned English.
It's cool.
They did a foreign exchange student program
and that she ended up just becoming part of their family
and being one of their daughters.
And I asked her what made her do the foreign exchange student program
and she said at the time they didn't have a lot of money.
But they lived in Louisiana and she wanted to expose her family
to different parts of the world and they couldn't travel.
So they decided, well, maybe we can bring someone over
and that will expose my children to like all things.
And I was like, that's really wise.
Again, told you she's wise.
Amy's podcast called Four Things.
with Amy Brown and Corey Robertson from Duck Dynasty as the guest.
They talk about four different things, but it's a great podcast all the way around.
It's, how would you describe it?
Well, I mean, I appreciate it.
It's a hodgepodge of things, but mostly focus on health and wellness and family and faith stuff.
And just, yeah, that's it.
People do not become adults until their 30s, according to this new scientific study here.
Listen, I don't know if you ever really become an adult.
I know.
I always thought as I was growing up, man, people that are 25 have it all figured out.
that's an adult. Then you get to be 25 and you go, oh, I have no clue. People are 30.
They got nothing. I'm 39 and I'm like 50 year old. They probably got it. Because I still don't have it figured out.
But researchers found that like literal changes in the brain, which can affect behavior all with the 20s into the 30s is what leads to adult decision making.
So aside from how we feel like our brain actually continues to wire until the 30s. It's not like there's a childhood than an adulthood.
there's a slow journey where eventually you peak.
Okay.
So somewhere in our 30s.
Somewhere.
I don't feel like.
I still like don't fill up my gas tank.
Like that's not a metaphor.
Like you literally don't fill up your gas tank.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I'm like, what's wrong with me?
I'd like to say this about yesterday's show.
We had on Haley Stevens,
whose boyfriend left her to go be on The Bachelorette.
And he was like, I'll be right back.
We're still together.
And then he came back and didn't talk to her anymore.
and people are like, don't you understand
she's opportunistic?
Yeah.
Everybody that comes on this show is opportunistic.
That's what this show is for.
Why wouldn't?
Yes.
Yes.
When Garth Brooks comes in,
it's because he has a new song that he would...
You're not just coming in to say hey.
Right.
If Durk's wanted to hang out,
he would come to the house.
You know, and I was getting so irritated
at reading comments going,
she's just using this to promote her music.
Yeah.
Like, this is an opportunity for her.
and I remember her band name, Sweet Leah.
It was an opportunity for her to come in and say her band name
and maybe people will take whatever entertainment story it's out there
and go, oh, let me check this out.
Of course it's opportunistic.
Everybody that comes in this room, it's opportunistic.
We're just trying to put an entertaining show.
So I get irritated at people who think that all this
reality TV stuff is like real life stuff.
So yeah, she was opportunistic.
And it was kind of a tradeoff.
You come in and you tell your story.
to us like you've never told it before and we'll talk about your music.
And I never even told her I talked about her music.
I didn't let her bring her singing duet partner in, duo partner, whatever it is.
Yeah, it was just her.
But I thought, so, yeah, I was getting fired up about that yesterday.
I just, sometimes I feel very misunderstood.
And I'm just like, how do people not know that, of course, that's right?
Yes, it was very opportunistic.
And that's every single person that comes in the studio.
It doesn't have to be opportunistic for money.
People can come in and talk about a charity.
People go on late at talk shows.
They give a good story, but then they get their plug.
it's all opportunistic.
That's all.
And I started to feel irritated for her.
And I was like, why are people mad at her?
Well, she just had a circumstance
that created her opportunity.
And she's been just sitting there waiting
for an opportunity.
And it's like, all right.
Yeah, might as well make some lemonade.
And then I started to get people like,
Bobby, you were too hard on her.
And then I was like, you were too easy on her.
And I'm like, no, I was me on her.
Yeah.
I had some tough questions.
But I didn't, I don't walk a line
for the show.
I'm just always me.
Here's what I say about us on this show
or in your friends in real life.
Are any of your best friends in your life,
do you just get along with and love
and think everything they do is right?
No.
And if they are, they're being fake friends.
You should be annoyed with us sometimes
because hopefully we're spending enough time together
that you get annoyed,
but you also see that,
oh, I like the most of that.
Like our closest friends,
we like most of what's about them.
Listen, I can't get anybody to focus
for more than 10 minutes.
I'm so focused right now.
I know, but I'm saying,
that's my point with this show.
You're going to be annoyed
with us sometimes and that's okay you should be because that means at least we're being real.
Thank you. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk. Namaste.
It's a Bobby Bon Show.
Bragg dancing is going to be an Olympic sport. You see that? Oh, really?
I guess we're practicing. Yeah, totally.
Break dancing has moved a step closer to the 2024 Olympics and now organizers are looking
to book a street venue in Paris. Break dancing will have 16 competitors in each of the men's
and women's events. A final decision will be December 2020. In all, Paris, one
wants to add four sports to its program.
So breakdancing, skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing.
Wow.
Surfing makes sense.
Sure.
Even climbing makes sense.
Not break dancing?
Nah, I mean, yeah, I just didn't ever thought that that way.
I mean, sure.
There are some dumb sports on there.
So it's like, yeah, why not?
What's the Olympics anyway?
Just something fun to watch.
You train.
It's awesome to see people from your country go.
You're like the elite elite of whatever you do.
Yeah, like, because they had 90 sitcom as a sport trivia,
I'd go and dominate.
Yeah, gold for sure.
Yeah, I'd represent America and stand proud on that stand.
Well, I saw that.
Let's see what's going on today.
Amy, talk me through today.
Oh, man, I'm lifting some weights today.
I am running some errands, like boring stuff, tons of stuff to return.
And then I'm getting a spray tan again today.
I got one last week.
Yes.
And it was so amazing.
And I haven't gotten them forever.
Last week was my first one in a while.
And now I think I'm going to be back to being addicted again
because it just keeps you ready.
You know? I'm wearing shorts more.
And it's the summer. I never wear shorts in the summer.
But it's so much cooler out.
So spray tan for the win.
Don't feel guilty. I get one every week.
Well, okay. I know.
I just feel like, do I really need to.
I don't have anything like coming up that I need to spray tan for?
It's just life.
Just feel good.
I got two options.
Either they put a bunch of brown makeup on me for TV or I'll just get spray tan.
They don't put a much brown makeup on me.
Yeah.
Especially, and I, for bear girls, I got really tan because I was going to be out in the,
and he's going to be tan.
but like when I was doing Idol
Luke and Ryan are so tan
Brian Cicrest
I would look like Casper the little goofy
nerdy ghost up there next to them
don't feel bad you do you
Yeah if you can't tone it tan it
Except I'm gonna try to tone it
Not really the reason I do it
Except for I'm gonna try to tone it today too
I'm gonna tone it and tan it
Tonight we're writing at the house again
