Starting point is 00:00:35 Air Tasker helps you get your weekends back. I need a screen printer. And someone to wait in line for my everything bagel. Go to Airtasker.com or download the app. Local taskers do anything. And everything. Air Tasker, get anything done. The Disneyland Resort is everything.
Starting point is 00:00:54 We came to play the Callie Way. It felt like I was in the roundup game with Woody and Pixar Piers. Have you been holding? out on us. No, just showing you where the real Hollywood stars are. Like Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Oh, there's jazz, right? And a drop. You'll see. Grab a Mickey Pretel on the way.
Starting point is 00:01:10 Girl, you'll read it my mind. We're almost there. Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park. We came to play. Both park tickets and reservations requires subject to restrictions change and cancellation without notice. Visit Disneyland.com for details. And now for a bit of breaking news between your breaking news. With me, the Gicokego.
Starting point is 00:01:27 Here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My phycas just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish there. It feels good to get good news.
Starting point is 00:01:50 It feels good to Geico. All right. The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. I was looking at Raymundo, and Raymondo and I were communicating. And Morgan number two sometimes just starts communicating. getting back to me when I'm not talking to her and I'm like, we got a whole communication log because she is right in the eyesight of Raimundo and Raymond and I are like talking through the glass and Morgan number two jumps and I was like yeah I get to think so too and
Starting point is 00:02:13 like what is she even talking about? It's a weird thing here huh? These eyes so close together Morgan number two? It feels like you're always looking at me and now but I just have to respond. I can also look at her all the time and she'll just think I'm looking at Ray if I just want to stare at you stare at her yeah it'd be no thing. What's up everybody? We just finished Thursday show. Tomorrow's going to be good though. If you listen to tomorrow's show, just a more will be in tomorrow. So hopefully you'll check that out. I'll say we should start
Starting point is 00:02:37 with the Target story in Amy's kids. And I was watching your Instagram story last night and your son farted so loud on your Instagram story. Right on your phone. He was really into doing that yesterday. Now is that just a boy thing? He thinks it's hilarious. I don't know. Did you think
Starting point is 00:02:53 yes. I mean, my daughter gets a little bit annoyed by it now, but she'll laugh with him. But does she do it? Yeah, but she just kind of owns it. She doesn't make a big deal about it. Like he does it and like last. She'll just be like, oh, I'm a stomach.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Yeah. And then he, when we're in public now, we're at Target going down the aisle and he'll do it. And then people will be shopping on the same aisle. And now he just looks at them. He's like, sorry that my mom farted. That's awesome. And like, Stinson, stop.
Starting point is 00:03:28 It was not me. So then I sound like I'm this 38-year-old mom, like, being like, it wasn't me. And then the people are like, okay, sure, you know. And what do you do to stop a kid from farting? I mean, well, we've, it's gotten to the point where, like, it's one of those things where sometimes, even though it is fun, we don't want to be party poopers, but he has to, like, leave the room and go to the bathroom and shut the door and do it. And then he can come back out. Party pooper. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:03:58 I know. No, because, but then I don't be so uptight about it because it does make him laugh so hard that I don't want to always make him like excuse himself, go to the bathroom, come back. I was, and I'm not a big farter, like not for attention. Right. I don't even think it's that funny, but. You're in the minority. I know. But that being said, I was in an Uber yesterday.
Starting point is 00:04:20 And I just forget it's not my car sometimes. And so I'm back and I'm at the back corner. That's the name of the venue, Eddie, right? Back corner. And I didn't want to Uber down because it's impossible to get a park. I didn't want to drive down. It's impossible to get a parking spot down there. So I call it Uber and it picks me up.
Starting point is 00:04:37 And I get in. And I just sit back and the guy turns on some 90s playlist and it's counting crows. And I'm just like, man, this is cool. And I just go loud. And he looks back at me. And you can't. And I just act like it was nothing. And I remember thinking to myself, why would I do that?
Starting point is 00:04:52 And I just feel like it's my car. And it's not. But I just had that feeling like, all right, time for me. Just chill out. That 90s playlist made you feel so comfortable. The Uber driver was funny. And I did it. And if you don't act like it's a big deal, nobody cares, right?
Starting point is 00:05:07 I was just like, yep. And he starts playing songs. And it's going 190 song to another. And I'm like, man, these are my jams. And he looks back at me and he goes, the 90s were good to me, man. You're like, what does that mean? I didn't know what to me. I didn't want to follow up because I put on my Uber app, like how much talking do you want?
Starting point is 00:05:26 And I always put little. I'll take a little. But I ain't trying to go into a docu series. Is Big Talker an option? Because who wants that? You know what? I don't think I've ever scrolled to the most. Mike D.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Will you look and see what the option is for the most talking? It's like, talks a lot. It's like, no, I'm good. Oh, at a massage once they gave me that option. And one of the options was talk your face off. I was like, nope. Like, that was the talk a lot option. No, no, they were describing you, Amy.
Starting point is 00:05:54 No. I mean, it said name, talk your face off. Yeah. No. No. Mike, when you get that, when you write it on the screen for me, I have all this stuff on my screen here to talk about that we didn't get to today on the show.
Starting point is 00:06:05 And some things that, like, we didn't talk about the farting thing because I didn't feel like putting that on the air today. Right. I mean, people could be eating breakfast. Yeah. But the kids would have loved it. We'll hit it occasionally. Right. But the main point is, I need to get him to stop, like, outing,
Starting point is 00:06:20 saying that it's me in public when it's not. That's pretty funny. Yeah, that's pretty awesome, actually. Pretty funny. Keep that going. I had mentioned, but I'll kind of share this because some people wonder what's happened in the Morgan number one. She now works over with my management team. And yesterday we sat in a room.
Starting point is 00:06:37 You had, and you text me about this yesterday too. You were like, how did your vision meeting go? It was mostly about, you know, touring and book three and, you know, stuff like that that I'm kind of weighing, doing. And TV shows, all the stuff. We're just kind of getting offers to do things now. And so it was the first time that she had been in a meeting. instead of she'll be good. She's kind of owning it a little bit.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Oh, good. Yeah, so I worked with her yesterday. We're still interviewing. I think they may have called people and told him they didn't make the short list. Because I saw Mike Signs post, and he sent his resume as a joke. And he's like, guess I didn't make the short list. I got the call. Oh, he didn't.
Starting point is 00:07:13 And he didn't make the short list because he's never produced a radio show. Right, and he applied as a joke. Yeah, he sent a really long resume. Oh, that's amazing. And it was like three quarters his real resume and then funny stuff too. Oh, my God. And he put me as a reference to. get to me. And it was like references. And he put me as a reference. Yeah. He's funny.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Yeah. So he, hey, do you have Mike signs the number? If you still has the same phone number is... He should. See if he's available. He's a teacher. I don't know if he can answer the phone. I'd put him on the post show pre-show. He's a professor. He's a professor, sure. Which is crazy. Is that more than a teacher? Yes. I think so. I think. It's a college teacher. Right? Do you need more schooling for that? I don't think so. I think the school will be a master's for the most part to be a college teacher. Well, then he's a teacher.
Starting point is 00:07:59 He's an educator. Educator, probably the universal word. But I think professor of college, I think you could even call some of your professors in high school. Like people that have been there for a long time? I don't know. We should maybe learn. Maybe he knows the difference. Mike signs.
Starting point is 00:08:15 Well, we get him on. We'll see if he can get him on and if he can answer. Let me know, Raimundo. But he didn't get a call. So we have five or six people that we're talking to bring him in. And someone's asking him why we don't promote. somebody here internally. We don't have anybody that is qualified to do it. I mean,
Starting point is 00:08:29 this is like 150 radio stations. It's dealing with sales. It's dealing with creative. It's the night show. It's a lot. Internally, you mean someone like us? Yeah. Like one of us? We don't have one someone. Yeah. You want the job?
Starting point is 00:08:43 No. You're not qualified for it. No, no. I'm not qualified for that job. You could do it eventually. Not. I'm good. But we're bringing to people who have executive produced talking to other shows. Or TV, they've mulled, overseen multiple TV shows. It's kind of the multi thing is the issue. So doing that, quiet preferred, happy to chat, or no preference. What was the most?
Starting point is 00:09:09 Happy to chat. Happy to chat. Okay, that's not bad. That's not overwhelming. Talk your face off like Amy said. Yeah. I have a note here. I copy and paste this from Eddie. Eddie sent me a note that said his dad loves the live stream. Yeah. But he has a problem with it. He does. He does. And he I guess he was just trying to be nice and offer some little advice, but he said, it's great, it looks awesome. But man, there are too many commercial breaks. I'm like, Dad, that's how, you know, this is how it works. Like, we have commercials.
Starting point is 00:09:37 We have commercial breaks, but we're working on it. And even song breaks. Yes. He just said there's, I mean, there's a lot of breaks to just kind of sit through. Some people think when we play a song, it's like a commercial to them because they just wanted to talk to the whole time. Right. They're like, why are you going away for a break?
Starting point is 00:09:49 I'm like, that's Luke Come. That's not a break. Yeah. That's me playing a song. Oh, Mike Sines is on. Here he is. Mike signs. Hey man. What's up, dude?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Hey, you're on the post show, pre-show. Oh, my favorite. Just so you know, you're on right now. So a couple questions. One, I saw you post on Twitter that you didn't make the short list for the executive producer job. I did not. How did you know that? Well, you said you invited the short list to come hang out with you, and I didn't get an invite to come hang out with you.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Okay, got it. You didn't get a call saying you didn't make it, like a thank you call. Oh, no, I didn't know. that would be the professional thing to tell me no. I don't know what they're doing. Wow. I'm not talking to them. They may have told everyone.
Starting point is 00:10:32 No, I didn't get anything. Also, the professional thing, I mean, you applied for a job kind of as a joke. Yeah, yeah, that's the whole funny part, is it probably didn't even take my application seriously because of how I wrote some of it. They kind of did, and they sent it to me, and they were like, is this guy serious? We can't tell if he's serious or not. And I was like, no, that's my friend. He's being an idiot. But I'm asking it, were you being serious?
Starting point is 00:10:57 No, no, not at all. I have a great job here in Dallas. Thank you. He loves his job. Oh, it sounds like he was serious. Which we were just debating if you're a professor or a teacher? Yes. The answer is that the question is yes, I'm both.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Consider the same thing. But why do some people say professor and some people say teacher? Some people like to glorify it more than a teacher. but usually at the university level they call it like an assistant professor or like an associate professor just a better title but we all do the same thing we'll teach it really so and what is your job I currently teach public speaking to incoming freshmen and I also work in the student success and what do they call you they call me an assistant director of student success what do the teachers call you the kids the students oh they call I tell them to call me Mike
Starting point is 00:11:50 He's that guy He turns his chair around back then. Oh, he talks about them on the level. He's like, let me talk to you guys, flips the chair. I'm Mike. Just call me Mike. Just call me Mike. Yeah, that's me. Do you have any tips for us as public speakers, like since you teach it?
Starting point is 00:12:07 Yes, please. When you listen to the show, are you like, ooh. No, y'all are actually great public speakers because the tip is, as most of you found out, no one's listening to you when you're speaking. So people tend to overthink what they're doing when they're up on stage. And really, no one's listening. No one's going to think about it after you later.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Wait, really? So no one's listening to me right now? I'm just like saying things? Yeah, yeah. That's why I'm not nervous because no one's listening to the show anyway. Here's my favorite Mike Science story, right? Oh, yeah, this is a good one. Professor Science.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Professor of public speaking. Oh, God. Was it the idiots? Gosh, I feel like we were in Wichita. That was the idiots. It was Wichita. It was one of the first. First show.
Starting point is 00:12:51 Okay. This is a good story, Bones. So, Eddie and I are back. It's before we go on stage, and we have merch items. And we're like, hey, Mike signs go up and tell everybody that we're selling merch. And, you know, that it's connected to charity or something.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I don't remember what we told him to do. And he's the public speaker. And he walks up on stage, because we didn't go up before we go on, because we like to bring up and be like, ah, there they are, yeah. Right. So Mike walks up and, like,
Starting point is 00:13:20 takes a shirt and it's like, they got merch and walks off the stage. The worst public speaking I've ever seen in my life. That is not even close. Okay, give me your version of the story. So I was going to go up there. I'm in my head planning, okay, here's what I'm going to say, blah, blah, and then Nata grabs the mic and goes up there with me and does her Nata thing. And then I'm like, oh, yeah, we got merch, and then that was it.
Starting point is 00:13:45 So your version's true, but you left out the part where Nata just took over. the whole stage and I was like oh that wasn't what I planned but but those that can't do teach that's my philosophy yeah he really bombed and we made fun of them for I don't know until now yeah and he left out the part where he he slipped on the curtain and almost fell
Starting point is 00:14:07 oh yeah yeah he almost fell as well he stepped on the curtain almost fell down okay I'm not I'm not the most graceful human so sorry Mike signs professor signs I just call Mike just call me Mike who teaches public speaking to freshmen at the University of North Texas? No, University of Texas at Dallas.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Did they change their name? No, no. UT System has a bunch of schools, Arlington, San Antonio, all that. So, yeah. And what's your Instagram? At Mike Seines says. S-A-E-N-Z. Yeah, it's actually a pretty funny follow.
Starting point is 00:14:44 At Mike S-E-S-Y-S. Mike, I got a question. Do you have a school philosophy where you're not a lot of to date students because you're in their college students. It's not, I mean, yeah, it's not just a school, like personal philosophy. It's also like a, like a school rule that you shouldn't, shouldn't date your shoes. Should it or can't? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:04 But what if your name's Mike? What if you're just Mike? Yeah, hat backwards. Yeah, what if it's like hat backward, chair, backward, chilling out, Mike? I mean, hat backwards Mike too on the chair also has a fiancee that we're getting married in November. No, no, no, I'm just saying like, like, Professor Geller. Let's just say there's a hat, backward, chair, backward, Matt, right?
Starting point is 00:15:23 And he teaches public speaking. Yeah, he is not allowed to date a student. All right. Oh, what if they're not in his class? That's a different story. That's where you get Professor Geller-Greligline area. Didn't Kelly Kapowski's professor date her? It's saved by the bellicologist.
Starting point is 00:15:40 He's now in jail. Are you teaching class right now? Everybody's watching him in class. He's on the phone. Yeah, actually, we're right in the middle of lectures. So if I can get back to you. No, summer school. We don't do anything in the summer.
Starting point is 00:15:54 So very chilled and relaxed. One other thing, Mike signs is the guys having the wedding in November that I'm still supposed to go to. Eddie is not going. Correct. Yeah, I got a bone about that one. Go ahead. You got a bone? I want to see it.
Starting point is 00:16:10 I want to see it. Hear it. Go ahead. Well, so everyone, I invited most of the show, friends with most of you guys, and everyone is real honest. You know, lunch dead. Mexico's not his thing. That's how you get out of a wedding. It just ain't my thing.
Starting point is 00:16:24 I don't like going set more stuff. Listen, Mexico's not my thing either. I'm scared to death. I mean, truth of me, I got a kid, and it's hard to arrange because it's a no kid wedding. I mean, it was just hard. No, and Ray, the same thing. Ray's like, thanks for the Indian bite.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Like, in the past, I don't like you that much. I was like, okay, cool. And then Eddie's like, oh, man, I'd love to be there. But, you know, we have a new. family situation and getting that. And then, like, a week later, I see him in Puerto Rico on a vacation. I was like, oh, okay, it wasn't really about that. It's just he didn't want to go to my wedding in Mexico.
Starting point is 00:16:59 I get it. I shouldn't have posted pictures. Oh. No, I get it. All that, the whole family thing, I mean, that's big. Yeah, it's hard to find babysitters. We got to, you know that if we get needed a babysitter, we have to, they have to get fingerprinted and background checked and everything, not just like grandma can't come, like,
Starting point is 00:17:15 watch the kids. But you have a long time to line that out? figure all that out. Yes, and I don't have a passport. That's a trouble. But again, you have a long time to find that out. You should get a passport anyway. You can get a passport right now and you still haven't in the way. Yeah, I just got mine. I just came in the mail. It's fine. But you should get one anyway in case, Eddie, eventually we're going to go play in another country and you're not going to be able to go. What are you saying? International? Yeah, raging idiots. We're on in Canada, the UK. Like, literally, and it may not
Starting point is 00:17:38 happen this year, but I may go up to Canada and do some CCMA stuff, like their Canadian country musical works. If not this year, maybe next year. You don't think we would go play up there? You got to get that passport. Okay. Or I'll just take a different Hispanic fella. I'll do like Midlanders that one time.
Starting point is 00:17:53 One of their guys was sick and they just and they did the right thing. They didn't want to cancel a whole show and they wear these costumes they put someone that looked like him
Starting point is 00:18:01 and they played their part. I'll just put someone look like you. He just kept it you wouldn't do that to me. Yeah. That would hurt my feelings. You would pure country you.
Starting point is 00:18:08 Buddy Jackson from the road crew. All right Mike signs. Dusty. Anything you'd like to say before we wrap it up here? No, post show, pre-show It's fantastic, and I texted in earlier saying it was the best thing since sliced cheese, so I appreciate it. Mike signed me a note going, you know what I think about the post show pre-show?
Starting point is 00:18:25 I was like, what's that? He goes, it's different. It kind of's a different vibe because you guys don't really know what's going on. I'm like, I don't. I don't really have anything planned. I just keep some notes from the show that we didn't get to. But he goes, it kind of feels like showtime after dark. And I'm like, I don't watch Showtime After Dark.
Starting point is 00:18:39 I don't know what that is. But to me, that sounds like dirty. Yeah, it's like you're watching something you're not supposed to be watching. So it's kind of cool. in a non-creepy way, in a non-creas way possible. Eddie had said in the past, Mike, signs that Chipotle was overrated. Oh, my gosh. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:18:57 You know, I've been with Eddie when he's had Chipotle. We have a long story about that and Waterburger. And I know secretly he loves it, so I won't hold it against them. Well, today they're bringing us lunch. I just got the note from Mike D on my screen that Chipotle is here. Mostly to convince Eddie that they're not overrated. Correct. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Is there a place setting for me? I will fly up there right now for that. That's like if you follow Mike on like Twitter or Instagram, like most of the posts are going to be about Chipotle or burritos. All right, Mike, Mike Signs. All right, guys. Take it easy. Mike Science says on Instagram. Bye-bye. What do you guys? Bye.
Starting point is 00:19:36 What do you guys like about Chipotle? Like here's the thing, like, it's fresh, it's good meat. Non-GMO. What does that mean? Avocados good. Also, the fact that it's inexpensive. Yes, compared. to end quick.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Hormone-free meats. Yeah, that's my nickname in college, too. All natural. They're like there's all hormone-free meat bones. Okay. But you like how it tastes. Yes. I think it tastes amazing.
Starting point is 00:20:01 All the sauces, when they ask me which salsa do you want, I'm like, are you getting? I want all three. Which one do I not want, mother-book? You don't like that about it? And you got to put the grilled veggies on there. Yes. I don't like grilled veggies. Corn salsa.
Starting point is 00:20:13 All the corn sauces. Woo, they better brought that with them. Well, we're going to rock. There's a new episode of Amy's Four Things podcast. Let me play one clip of this. I don't know what the clip is. Raymondo, what's the, give me one clip. What is it?
Starting point is 00:20:26 Pulling it up right now. Yo, yo. All right, let's see. Scrolling over to the page. I got Amy Husband Love Tank. Oh, he's only in the intro. He's not even a thing. I got Amy Jessica Relationship Tank.
Starting point is 00:20:38 That's good. That's one of my guests. And the husband doesn't like Botox. Yeah, that's in the intro because we end up talking about Botox as a thing. You're going to get me on a whole deal here if you play the Botox clip. I'm going to go. I kind of like the husband love tank because I think he says he wants to date more or something like that. Okay, let's do that.
Starting point is 00:20:57 This is just in the intro. Also, my name is the old love tank. All right. Here's Amy's husband on the new podcast. Go ahead. We probably need to work on our love tank. It's just been so busy. I know.
Starting point is 00:21:09 That's what you're talking about earlier today. You're like, what are you doing? I know. We're like never together. Like I don't see you. That's why when I saw you walk by, I pulled you to do this little. intro because I'm like, well, it might be the five minutes that I get to spend with you. That's sad.
Starting point is 00:21:21 I know. You need to date me. Let's go on a date. You want to go on a date? Yeah. Wherever we go. I don't know. My wife and I did that once.
Starting point is 00:21:31 What? Did you guys just start making out right then? I like, I drove around the block and then I came back and like knocked on the door. Oh, you role played. It was dumb. It was dumb. Like. Oh, save that.
Starting point is 00:21:39 Hey, I want to talk about that on the show soon. Eddie's role playing with his work. Yeah. It was like the show. No. No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:21:45 That's what you're called a role play. Yes, it is. Yes, it is. Don't talk to you more about it. Was your name, Eddie? I don't want to hear anything else about it. That was Jim. I don't want to hear anything else about it because it will run it for me. Oh, that's funny.
Starting point is 00:21:54 Okay. Well, so anyway, Jessica Honinger, my guest, she's the founder of Noonday Collection. She talks about making sure your love tank is full, so that's why Ben and I ended up talking about that. All right. Rock and roll, everybody good? Yeah. Yeah. All right, check out.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Ray just told us he's not going to be on it today, so it's going to be a new girl. Oh, you know what today is. I get all the metrics for all the shows today. Oh, all the podcasts? It's the report card day. Okay, give it to us. I don't have it yet. God, this is like getting home and like, oh, mom's got the report card.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Here we go. Am I going to get grounded? No, I always told my mom, report cards didn't come today. Sorry. Well, now it's E. Mike just wrote on my screen to save for either tomorrow or Monday. Eddie roll playing with his wife. No.
Starting point is 00:22:46 He just wrote it right here. That's not right. That's funny though. I like that. Don't say anything else about it though because I want to experience it all together. It was when? Long ago. No, no, no, no more talkie.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Don't talk about it. Even Raymondo's head poked up. He'd like to hear this too. Yeah, he'll roll playing. All right. Good. I got a bobby cast that happened in today with John Christ. I feel like y'all are just going to be like one big joke off.
Starting point is 00:23:10 I know. It's going to be a laughing track in the back the whole time. I really have a. thing with my guest in the podcast, I try not to provide content about me unless they ask. I try to highlight them, keep the shine on them the whole time. And if I say something funny, you have a good question, you know, I try to limit it. Wouldn't you say that almost all your Bobbycast, and I haven't listened to many of the recent ones, but don't you feel like everyone always goes back to, you're the dancing with a stars champion, man, right?
Starting point is 00:23:44 In the past few months. Yeah. And once the show starts, I'm just kind of kind of dropped that from my arsenal things to talk about. Yeah. Because I can just see you getting awkward every time they bring it off. Well, it's just like, I, they're like, you're a great dancer. And they really probably never seen a clip. They just know I won.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I'm not a great dancer. But, yes, it goes there a little bit. But I'm proud of that win, not because of the dancing, because I figured out the system. Yeah. Like, I figured out a system that's done 26 seasons and broke it. They have new rules this year because of me and our show. show and the people that voted for me. So they're switching up some of the rules because we broke the system.
Starting point is 00:24:19 And I'm very proud of that because we figured it out and we broke it. And I think it's ridiculous of changing rules at all if they really do. Because why would one out of 27 and you're going to make and again, I haven't seen. And they could come back and be like, yeah, we're all good. We're all the same. But I do love them there and I hope they bring me back for the premiere. And they should call that change the Bobby Bones rule. Right?
Starting point is 00:24:40 And then Wikipedia, it should have its own little paragraph in Wikipedia. And think about that. All right, we're going to go. I'm tired. And Chipotle's here. All right, the end. Yeah, we'll go. We'll see you guys on Friday show.

Starting point is 00:27:53 Morning. Kelsey is on in Oklahoma City. Let's go over and talk to Kelsey. Hey, Kelsey, what's happening? Hi, Bobby. How are you? I'm pretty good. What's up with you?
Starting point is 00:28:02 Good. Well, I just wanted to let you know that I just ordered your book. And I'm actually doing a presentation next month on it at work. Wait, so you're doing a presentation without reading it? Yes. Well, I mean, I hear you talk about your book every single day pretty much. And I got me thinking. and you motivate me and you're really kind of one of my role models, so I figured it's time to read it.
Starting point is 00:28:25 Wow, do you want to sing Wind Beneath Your Wings to me right now? Because I would love it. No. Did I ever know that I'm your hero? I'm just kidding. And by the way, I never bring my book up. No. It's callers who go, I'm going to do a presentation on your book like Kelsey here. Which is amazing. Although I'm very proud of my book. It's called Fail Until You Don't, and I gave it to my friend of Maude. And I was like, I never say this.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Read this book. And he's like, it changed my life. Well, listen, how about this? I will send you a signed copy of that book. Please. Oh, my gosh, yes. But only if you sing wind beneath your wings to me. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:29:05 One verse. Okay. Boy, I can't do it. I can fly higher than an eagle. I can fly higher than an eagle. Wow. That was good. That's bad.
Starting point is 00:29:19 She's carpet bagging on. Wow. Sandbagging. A carp bagger comes from a different town. Yes, thank you. She's sandbagging on being a good singer. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:28 Kelsey, I'm going to send you that. And I'm going to give you this to start the show and you called us. I'm going to give you, Kelsey, a $50 gift card from Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. So they gave us some gift cards to give out to our listeners. And you, Kelsey, are now being awarded one of those. Oh, thank you. Look at you.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Just for trust in me. I appreciate that. Okay, stay on the phone. I'm going to get your info, okay? Thank you. All right, being a bit facetious. Although I would like for one day just pick up a phone call and someone to sing that to me. Okay. Even if it's you, Amy, even if you call on the phone lines. All right.
Starting point is 00:30:01 And I pick it up and let's go to Amy and the calling from the studio. Hello, Amy. Did you ever know they're amazing. Let's do on the same country music to start the show because I got a good one today. Here we go. The Bobby Vaughn Show on this day in country music. 1992, 27 years ago, Brooks and Dunn's boot scoot and boogie
Starting point is 00:30:19 began a four-week residence at the number one of the country charts. Ronnie Dunn wrote the song by himself. Boy, it made some money off that. Before it was officially released by Brooks and Dunn, the band Asleep at the Will recorded it in 1990. Look at that. They recorded it.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Ronnie Dunn wrote it. Here's a clip of A Sleep at the Wheel doing Bootscoo Boots Boogie. Goosey dog, come on, baby, let's go. Go. Ray Benson. We'll switch up there. Brooks had done on our show in February, and they told us that they didn't come up with the dance.
Starting point is 00:30:59 They started playing the song in clubs in Oklahoma, and this is Ronnie Dunn talking about that. These people kept coming up and asking us to play it again. So I kind of thought, well, maybe there's something there. So we'd sneak into the set late at night. Down there, if you'd play a song or play in any of the clubs, and they don't dance, then, you're out. So we had to write songs that kept people moving,
Starting point is 00:31:21 in turn sold beer. Look at that. That's fun. That's cool. It's the whole history of the song. Today in 1992, 27 years ago, that was your number one song, and for four weeks, which is a big deal. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. I'm going to talk to Ian in Oklahoma who's sitting there on the phone.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Hey, Ian, what's up? Good morning. You good? I'm great. How are you? I'm good. What do you want to say? Man, I can't believe I'm actually talking to you guys.
Starting point is 00:31:51 I was just calling in to say how much I appreciate you guys. You guys are awesome. You make my commute from home to work. Amazing. I love your positivity. I love everything you're about. I love the representation for the little guy. I mean, I'm on my way to work right now, so I'm just trying to,
Starting point is 00:32:15 I've been just trying to get a hold of you for, I don't know how long, and I'm actually kind of getting to talk to you. That's cool. So what do you do for a living, Ian? Right now I'm a volunteer firefighter for Rolling Hills Fire Department and Catusa. Do you have a poll? I also say again. That pole you slide down, you have one of those? Because that would be awesome.
Starting point is 00:32:38 No, we don't have one of those. We don't have the cool bell that goes off either. We kind of just get tones over the phone. Do you ever, like, shoot that big... Waterhouse? Yeah, not just a hose, Eddie. That thing. Do you ever, like, pull it off the truck and, like, knock beer cans down?
Starting point is 00:32:55 That's what I do. Like, talk to practice? Oh, yeah, that thing. Yeah. Yeah, all the time. You ever, like, shoot your buddy walking down the street? Like, hey, do you ever go in, because you can go and take the, those fire hydrant? The hydrant things that take the lid off.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Yeah. Do you ever do that? Yeah. Oh, that sounds awkward. Fun? Yeah, like, it's a joke. Yeah, well, we do that for training. Oh, all right.
Starting point is 00:33:20 We've got to fill up the trucks and, you know. have water on the trucks ready for the fire. Do you ever look forward to there being cars parked at the fire hydrants so you can bust their window and stick your hose through the window? Because that would be awesome too. Just run it through while it's sitting on the curb. No, we don't get anything cool like that. We mostly just run medicals from our station.
Starting point is 00:33:37 All right, all right. Well, listen, that's cool. That's cool that you're a volunteer firefighter, man. That's awesome. Making a difference in the world. Well, I try. Yeah, well, good for you. Hey, thanks for calling.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Ian. Appreciate that nice, nice call. All right. I appreciate it, Bobby. You all have a good morning. You too. Appreciate you. I'm telling you, I couldn't think of the word hydrant just now.
Starting point is 00:33:54 I know you had my back on that one? I was like, you know that red fire thing that's on the road? What's that called? It has water in it. My brain just not connecting, man. I appreciate you having my back over there. You got it, dude. On CMA Festus Sunday, which is Thursday, right?
Starting point is 00:34:09 Yep. Yeah. August 4th at 8.7 Central on ABC. It's a three-hour special. The show is hosted by Thomas Red, Kelsey Ballerini, and myself. Special collaborations, Lil Nas X with Billy Ray Cyrus and Keith Urban. Underwood with Joan Jet, and I believe I have a clip of Carrie Underwood talking about why it's important that CMA Fest is aired on ABC.
Starting point is 00:34:28 CMA Music Festival is so much fun, and they, every year they do a TV special, which is really cool. You know, we kind of get to give the rest of the world that didn't get to come to the music fest, a little taste of what it's like, and hopefully they'll see it and want to come next year. But CMA Music Fest is just so much fun. There's no other genre of music does what country music does for its fans like this, which is so cool. Yeah, so please watch. Because if you don't watch, they may just cancel
Starting point is 00:34:55 country music, period. Not to put that on the listeners, but yeah, they may just shut down music, all music too. So I watch that on ABC. That'd be cool. I have a mailbag here. Let's open up the mailbag, Ramundo. Bobby's Mailbag. Thank you. By the way, our new mailbag address is
Starting point is 00:35:13 open as of yesterday. Morgan No. 2 set it up. What is that email address? It's mailbag at bobbybones.com. Oh. Tough to remember. Your brain's messed up like mine. It's hydrant at mailbag at bobbybones.com. Yes.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Got it. Here's the mailbag. The letter says, Hey, Bobby. So my ex-wife and I have a 13-year-old son. We got divorced when he was three after we figured out that it just wasn't going to work. Our son lives with her since I worked traveling around, but I always pick him up when I'm around.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Our contact is very minimal, meaning me and my ex-wife. We really only talk to each other when something related to our son. comes up. However, she met someone about five years ago. I don't know him. He's a nice dude. My son likes him. They're engaged and they're going to marry this fall. A month or so ago, our son came up to me and said, hey, mom and her fiance have mailed out invites. But the thing is, I never got one of those invites. Now, this bothered me because my son asked me to be there. I took a vent. I took offense. Should I go to the wedding to be with my son, even though it seems like they don't really want me there from Chase? And that's in the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:36:20 this is so much more than what we have no it's not I don't know the answer this answer is easy okay what you don't go to the wedding if they don't want you at the wedding you don't go to their wedding your son's not getting married your son can go do things without you just because he wants you there you don't you're not married to her anymore see I'm not like a blanket no but you don't just show up like he needs to probably communicate with her he has no business going to this wedding if they didn't invite him he doesn't have to go he can talk to her like hey our son came to me and he would like for me to be there. Like, I don't have an issue being there. Do you think that it's fine if I come? And if she says no, then you don't go. And if she says, okay, if our son, if it, because it's weird for
Starting point is 00:36:59 the son. It's not like a son event. Yeah, it's not the son's wedding. But still the, okay, but I'm just saying like you still share. Let's do like to debate last night at attack already. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, attack me. I just, as someone who, you know, I was, I might, I went to my dad's wedding after my parents got divorced when he got remarried. And yeah, my mom wasn't invited, but I think if I was younger than I was, like, I was in high school at that point, like, I would have wanted my mom to be there and maybe she could have come and just helped comfort me because it's a, depending on how everything went down, it's, it can be hard for kids.
Starting point is 00:37:34 If it's one percent weird for this married couple to have an ex there, you don't do it. It's their wedding. No, I agree. The end. He could ask her. He could be the kids plus one. Oh, exactly. I don't even ask.
Starting point is 00:37:46 You don't even ask. They obviously don't want him there. They don't have any contact. He's not really in her life. And the kid's 13. He's not six. When I was 13, I was already paying insurance. Yeah, but you had to mature so much faster.
Starting point is 00:37:58 13 is a hard age. I was already working on that 401k when I was 13. Saving up for retirement. Yeah. What is your final answer? My final answer is talk to the mom who's getting married and see if it's, you know, cool if you come. If not, you don't go. But talk to her about it.
Starting point is 00:38:15 For the sake of the son, because he asked you. If you want to have a conversation, you say, hey, I know it wasn't invited, I'm not going to come. You should talk to our son and say, hey, we didn't invite your dad. Here's why. You're all right, champ. Okay. The dad doesn't need to go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:38:29 No business. We can be, this is America. We can have different views. It doesn't sound like it. I'm giving my opinion and you're still twisting it, but it's fine. No, I'm giving it a different answer. Your answer is don't go. Whoa, she pointed at you.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Oh, are you putting this on camera? Oh, are we not supposed to, in debates? Should you not? They don't, right? Those political candidates don't point. Let me do, let me talk to Aya. Is it Aya? Hey, Iya, you're in Arkansas. What do you want to say about this? Yeah, I just want to say that Bobby is 100% correct. He can absolutely not go to this wedding. Now they're pointing at each other. Yeah. What do you think about him having a conversation with the mom?
Starting point is 00:39:04 I don't really think it's any of his business. Besides, to be completely fair, I don't think. I think people put too much stock in weddings. But wedding's not really as important as the marriage. But it has to do with the boy. It has to do with the boy. It has to do with the kid. Yeah. They get 13. Team kid.
Starting point is 00:39:24 Team kid. Always, team baby. I thank you. Now, we have an Amy agreeer. I want to make sure to get one on. Fair and balanced. Annie, you're on the show. Hi.
Starting point is 00:39:36 Thank you, Annie. What would you like to say? Annie, please. She's changed her mind. Annie, are you there? Annie in Louisiana. There she is. Go ahead, Annie.
Starting point is 00:39:43 I just would like to say I agree with Amy on the situation. I was in a similar situation with my husband, and I think that they should talk to the wife and make sure it's okay with her, even though the child is 13 years old. He still wants his father to be there. There's no reason this dad should go to this wedding. It's not his wedding. He has nothing to do with it.
Starting point is 00:40:03 Maybe having that conversation could open up an opportunity for everybody to have a healthier relationship, and for the sake of the son to have his parents actually have a relationship would be great. I'm all for conversation. The conversation should be, hey, old Trent is sad. I can't come to the wedding. We just talk to him and tell him it's okay that I'm not coming. Like, have that conversation. And then whoop them because he's been bad.
Starting point is 00:40:24 Questioning them. Annie, are you okay? Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie? Yes. All right. Thank you, Annie. All right, thank you.
Starting point is 00:40:34 Thanks, Annie. For those that we didn't know what that was. Annie, are you okay? Are you okay, Annie? One other, Alyssa in Louisiana. Anna, let's go one more call. Hi, Alyssa. You're on the air, Alyssa. Hi. Hey, what's happening?
Starting point is 00:40:49 Wow, it's so great to talk to you guys. Thank you. We appreciate talking to you. What do you want to say? Oh, I appreciate y'all. I just wanted to make a comment with the wedding situation. I mean, it's completely understandable if, you know, they don't want the, you know, the dad to go. but in my situation you know me and my daughter's father we're both separated we're both remarried
Starting point is 00:41:15 and we attended each other's wedding no problem yeah see but that's because you allowed each other to they want each other and that's understandable we don't even know
Starting point is 00:41:26 maybe somebody cheated in this relationship this 13 year old boy could just have a dream for his parents to just get along no just have a relationship and maybe this could be the start Well, listen, I think we can come to the fair conclusion that I'm right. Right, everyone? Yeah, I agree with you.
Starting point is 00:41:42 All right. Hey, thank you, Alyssa. Appreciate your call. All right. Good to talk to you guys. Go to talk to you. Look at that. I'm getting a lot of texts here, and everybody agrees with me.
Starting point is 00:41:52 Yeah. Cool. No, they don't. No, it's fine. I mean, what you're saying is valid. I don't not agree with you. I'm just kind of trying to think of the kid. And who's in a healthy marriage and knows a lot about marriage and kids.
Starting point is 00:42:02 Yeah, well, I don't think you have to, none of us have experience. Not you? No, my joke. My joke is not married, no kids. What the heck do I even know? But it does make you the expert at it at all. You don't got to make hamburgers to know a good hamburger. That's right.
Starting point is 00:42:16 That's right. Just eat them. Just eat them up. Bobby Bones Show. Big three stories. Over to Ramundo with the news here on Thursday morning. Ramundo, what you got? Night two of the Democratic debate was last night.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Highlights are online. In Minneapolis, we're now finding out that a Delta pilot age 37 was removed from a plane and arrested after he boarded a plane drunk. They found a bottle of alcohol on him as well. And finally, Woodstock Music Festival has been canceled. It was scheduled to take place in a couple weeks. They said the reason they had a series of setback. It's a Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 00:42:48 I want to go over and talk to Joanne in Utah. Hey, Joe Wyn. Hey, how's it going? What's happening? Nothing much. Hey, my wife ran a marathon in Salt Lake City, and she took first in the women's division. And the first two hours that she was running,
Starting point is 00:43:03 she was listening to the Bobby Bones show. Oh, wow. Wait, she finished first in her division? Yeah, she finished first in the women's overall division. She won a little bit of money, so that was cool. Holy cow, how fast did she run the marathon, do you know? She ran it in three hours and 15 minutes. Amy, when you ran the marathon, what did you run it in?
Starting point is 00:43:24 Four hours and like 38 minutes, maybe something. I was 3,653rd place, I think. But were you listened to our show? Because apparently that's the secret. ingredient to winning. The show didn't exist then. Joe, what's her name, Joanne? Give her a shout out.
Starting point is 00:43:41 Her name is Jamie Alviso. We are both high school teachers at Sky Ridge High School in Lehigh, Utah. She coaches cross-country. I coach soccer, and I'm actually the one that tweeted you about those custom shoes a while ago. The Toy Story shoes? No, the customized shoes for, like, her anniversary. Customized shoes for her anniversary? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:02 I don't know. I don't know if you remember that. And then shortly after you customized shoes. shoes for your dance partner, so I thought you got the idea for me. Oh, no, I have no idea. Listen, it's one of my favorite tweets. I was just talking to Amy about it earlier today, right? Cover me.
Starting point is 00:44:15 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. He talks about you all the time. All right, Joe. You guys are awesome. We listen to you every day. Shout out to you guys. All right.
Starting point is 00:44:22 Appreciate you, bud. Congrats to your wife. I want to go over to Morgan number two now with a little segment that we call Food World. Morgan number two. It's time for Food World. Num, Num, Num, Num, Num, with Morgan number two. So a lot of like state fairs are happening right now we're about to happen.
Starting point is 00:44:38 And I want to know if you guys would try any of these weird foods that are at them. So are these from different states? Different states. All right, what's the first state up? This is Idaho. Okay. It's got to be a potato, right? Sure.
Starting point is 00:44:49 It's like a potato dipped in ice cream. Oh, I was going to say copper. But okay, go ahead. Well, it is an ice cream potato. Oh, wow. But it's not an actual potato. It's just vanilla ice cream shaped like a potato, rolled in cocoa powder and topped with whipped cream. Oh, well, that just sounds good.
Starting point is 00:45:04 It's just a shape that's weird on that one. So that would do that one. Yeah. All right, next up. What state? And then this is North Carolina. Okay. Coolade pickles.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Literally a pickle and Kool-Aid chilled. That's good. That's kind of what we used to have. Piccadilly's. Piccadilly snow cones. Yeah. Awesome. And you don't think they will be, but they are.
Starting point is 00:45:20 They're amazing. All right, what else? And then California, they have deep fried watermelon. It's watermelon deep fried topped with powdered sugar. It's good. Give it to me. Yeah. What's the weirdest one you have?
Starting point is 00:45:32 Is there anything that you're going, I don't know if we do. do this one. Well, there's one from New England, and they literally serve fried butterballs. It's butter fried. From the state of New England? Yes. You got her. What state is New England by?
Starting point is 00:45:47 Oh, gosh, I don't know. Okay, what's the capital of the state of New England? It's easy. It's easy. Yeah. You got this. I know it's up in the Northeast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You ever been to the state of New England? No. No? All right. New England's New England's not a state.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Okay, well, it's the New England State Fair, okay? Yeah, it's like a region. It's like Boston. Like Boston. The New England Patriots. And what is theirs? It's a deep fried butterball. Yeah, so it's just butter that's deep fried.
Starting point is 00:46:18 Not a butter ball. Into a ball. Like a turkey. I'm in a butter ball. A butter fried. All right, Morgan number two. Thank you. That's Food World from Morgan number two.
Starting point is 00:46:27 We do, we try all those. Go ahead. That was Food World with Morgan number two. Num, num, num, num, num. Maybe then you'll see a different side of me. I'm not crazy. From the year 2002, who was that artist? Do you know the song? Yeah. I'm not, yes. What do you think it's called? Unwell.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Who's the artist? You got it. I'm not crazy. I'm just a little unwell. I know. Right now. I don't care. Oh, wow. You guys went two different directions, but I respect it.
Starting point is 00:52:04 Somebody was right at there. I'm not crazy. I'm in. I'm in for the win. I'm in for the win. It's like something like Vaseline. What? The famous artist Vaseline.
Starting point is 00:52:15 Vaseline. Lunchbox. Godsmack. Incorrect. Eddie. I may get this wrong because I went Rob Thomas and not Matchbox 20. It's Matchbox 20. That's right.
Starting point is 00:52:26 Crazy. I'm just. Man, I had this CD. How did I miss this? All right, let's do this one. Number four, name the artist. The song is called Fireflies from the year 2009. Here you go. I'm in for the win.
Starting point is 00:52:38 And? Hold on, guys. You don't have to rush on their timetable. Okay. It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep. All right. Want to see my paper, Eddie? Amy?
Starting point is 00:52:52 Al City. Correct. Lunchbox. Al City. Correct. Eddie. Death cap for cut cut. Oh.
Starting point is 00:52:58 Sorry, Eddie. Amy, you've clenched. Yeah. Number five by yourself. Here's number five. Amy is the winner in the game. The song is called Beautiful Girls from 2007. Who's the artist?
Starting point is 00:53:08 Your way to beautiful girl. Sean Kingston. Correct. Wow, Amy. Nailed it. Look at this. Impressive. There's our winner.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Player winning music. Raymondo, please. There she goes. There she goes again. You dominated that game. Thank you. You got almost all of them right. I think you just missed one.
Starting point is 00:53:29 Matchbox? 20. Matchbox. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Chris Jansen shared the details of his next album. It's called Real Friends, and it's going to be here on October 18th. There's going to be 11 new songs on the album, and he says he made all of those songs with his actual real friends.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Here's good vibes off of it. This is the subject of the magazine Harper Bazaar's first music documentary. Heath Urban and Cheryl Crowe sing Marron's praises in the video, and you can watch it up at Bobby Bones.com. Brantley Gilbert has a new song out tomorrow, and it's called Bad Boy. Here's a teaser he posted on social media. Is that bad for the wrong side of tracks for? I'm Morgan number two.
Starting point is 00:54:33 That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Say out of something good. The animal shelter in Muncie, Indiana, is running low. on cat litter and dog food and the police department heard about it and they said okay from now on if you get a parking ticket
Starting point is 00:54:49 you can pay by donating cat litter or dog food to the animal shelter and your ticket is wiped away so if you're going to be visiting Muncie anytime soon get a ticket yeah get a ticket don't bother paying the meters just park illegally that way you can help the animal shelter I wonder if you can just park
Starting point is 00:55:05 and put some dog food on your hood and like I'm covered to take the dog food that'd be good for them too because they could always just charge and take that money and put it somewhere else you know Yeah. Because that money's got to go somewhere. But good for them. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:55:18 That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show. Bonehead. This story comes to us from New York. Two cool things to have in your life. A swimming pool and a Lamborghini. Bad idea is to hit the gas instead of the break and drive your Lamborghini right into the pool.
Starting point is 00:55:35 Oh, man. That's what this 26-year-old woman did right into the swimming pool. What a helpless feeling. My stepdad did that. He drove his truck right in the lake. Actually, to be fair, he pulled it up on a hill. We had to remove the boat trailer from the truck because it wasn't adequate room to park them beside each other.
Starting point is 00:55:54 The emergency brake wasn't all the way in. The truck starts rolling down the hill. And he's like, oh, my goodness, he runs up beside it, and it hits a curb, goes right into the water and just rode it down. He talked to that on the show. He just rode it down. Is that trashed? Is that a total?
Starting point is 00:56:10 When they pull it out, is it drivable? They fixed it a bit. Listen, we didn't have money. I don't know if it was totaled, but we didn't have money for a new truck. I think they got it going okay again for a while. I think. I don't know. I've done a long time.
Starting point is 00:56:24 All right, but that's a Lamborghini. All right, that's it. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. I want to go talk to Tony in Virginia. Hey, Tony, welcome to the Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 00:56:45 Good morning. Hello. Hey. Hi. Is this Bobby? It is. Tony, you're on the air. What do you want to say?
Starting point is 00:56:54 Oh my God, hi. I was just looking to see what specifically you are looking for in a woman. Hmm. Uh, what, what do you have? Yeah. What? I mean, I'm single and I'm in love with you, so. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:57:11 Amy, what am I looking for in a woman? Probably someone that's not already in love with you that doesn't really know you. Damn. You're shutting her down like that? I know, I know. Dang. Just like rake it to her gently. But you get to her.
Starting point is 00:57:24 is he doesn't really know everything about you or what you look like so you can just slide under the radar and start from scratch. You don't have to profess your love. What am I looking for in a girlfriend? Interesting. I like someone that has goals. I like someone that's super smart. I like someone that's funny. I like someone that's physically fit because I have a pretty fit lifestyle. Anything else I'm missing here? I like people who read books. What else? Yeah. Well, Goals is on there. But like you, yeah, you, yeah, you.
Starting point is 00:57:54 You kind of have to have your own thing going, like, be busy yourself. I want somebody who's all about me, but not about me at all. Right. It's like. Walk that line. Oh. Yeah. I want somebody like all about me.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Like, that's my dude. But then be like, I don't even care. Like, I got my own stuff going on. Yeah, because I'm so busy over here. I got so much. Look at all these dots on my calendar. He wants somebody with dots on their calendar. I would like her to be so independent that it drives me crazy.
Starting point is 00:58:16 That I'm like, come on. Because that's attractive. Okay. Wow. Bobby finds that hot. Like Martha Stewart, you said. Yes. We got to stop going back to the Martha Stewart thing.
Starting point is 00:58:25 But you did say that. I bet she's busy. I don't find her physically attractive. She has goals. Physically, what are you looking for, bones? I told you. Physically fit. Would you go blonde?
Starting point is 00:58:37 Yes. My last girl if I was blonde. Yeah. That's right. I've been dating blonde. I'm not a hater of hair color. Good, good. But you did have a time where it was like pretty obvious you're going to be with a brunette with banks.
Starting point is 00:58:49 I had two girls in a row that they were brunette. Listen, I'm drawn to brunettes. I think initially. I think because if I can maybe scrape a little bit of this Freud off on you, I think because my mom is brunette. You know? Weird. I know.
Starting point is 00:59:02 Strange. And people think that we are attracted to people like our mom or dad. Oh, no. I'm not. Well, you're not because, Eddie, you're Hispanic and your wife is super white and blonde. Exact opposite of my wife. I'm my mom. But maybe it's because of your mom.
Starting point is 00:59:15 Maybe you went totally opposite because you didn't want her. So anyway, it's based on your mom. A lot of what he thinks is that we're attracted to our parents. or unattracted to our parents. You're talking about Sigman? Yeah, oh, Sig. He said that. Oh, Siggy.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Yeah. It's a difficult thing to navigate with me, which is why I'm 39 and still single. Never been married. No engagements, no kids. I have no baggage. None. You're baggage-free.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Yeah, you're right. I mean, yeah, even though you have your own kind of baggage. And what would that be? Well, like, I think that there's things, in your past that have caused you to be guarded and you have never allowed yourself to love someone even though I think that you have you just don't let yourself fully go there
Starting point is 01:00:03 so there's that and then How hot do I sound now, Tony? Yeah, thanks. Wait, are you still attracted to him? Yes. Wait, wait, hold on, I'm gonna know, what are you most attracted? Like what, you only know Bobby from the radio
Starting point is 01:00:20 so why are you in love with him? Good question. I just like his determination, his drive. He's a hard worker, it seems like, and he's just funny. Thank you. And he has a big heart. And I have a big heart. What about his looks?
Starting point is 01:00:36 You don't like his looks? I mean, yeah. Well, listen. Thank you, Tony. Listen, I'm not... So if you were to click on somebody's dating profile and they had goals, physically fit, you know, I care about people, but also. care about myself.
Starting point is 01:00:54 Yeah. That's a perfect profile. Okay. And I'm single. I mean, I'm kind of, I'm dating. Yeah, you've been going on dates and dates that you're not really telling us about. Yeah. I've been out.
Starting point is 01:01:07 You know, there's a girl or, you know, there's a thing. An entry level thing. Really? Like second level of Mario Brothers. Okay. Like you're not really in it in it yet. World 21? But yeah, it's kind of like, yeah, 2-1, 2-2 maybe.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Wow. So. How into it is she? 10. Oh, stop. Okay. She knows what's good for at zero. Yeah. So, yeah, yeah. Well, thank you, Tony. I'm glad we can bring this up.
Starting point is 01:01:35 Thank you. I'm honestly shaking just getting the chance to finally get to talk to you guys. I've tried calling in multiple times. Hey, well, thank you very much for calling. I appreciate that, baby. That's sexy? Ask her. I was looking at you when I did it. I know. All right, Tony. Have a nice day.
Starting point is 01:01:52 Thanks, you too. All right, bye-bye. It's a Bobby Bones show. Your son's birthday is next week. Yes. And you're going to have the party in Austin. And so who's coming to the party? Family, some of my friends, and their kids.
Starting point is 01:02:07 So, yeah, it should be like a good little mix. And he still wants Alexa to come to the party. He does. He doesn't know Alexa's not a real human. I mean, he thinks she's somewhere. He doesn't really understand what she is. But, yeah, he talks to her every day, and he wants her to come to his birthday party.
Starting point is 01:02:22 And you asked him what he thinks Alexa looks like? Yes. This is a conversation we had on the show a couple days ago. And so then I was like, oh, I should ask him. Because I think you maybe said, I wonder what he thinks she looks like. And I was like, well, I'll have to ask him. And he'll tell me. Here's Amy and her eight-year-old son talking about Alexa.
Starting point is 01:02:36 Tell us what Alexa looks like. Blown. She has a shirt, her. She has some glasses. She has beautiful skin. Black. And she looks purely and handsome. and she had sunglasses.
Starting point is 01:02:53 So what I got from that? She's blonde? Oh, the first comment was brown. So he said, he describes her as brown and black, which Stasheera. Stevenson says that they have black skin, they're Haitian, but Stasheera prefers brown skin, so he kind of said both colors. Okay, so she's black, she wears sunglasses. And she has beautiful skin.
Starting point is 01:03:13 And she has beautiful skin. She's pretty and handsome. Is he going to be disappointed that she doesn't show up to the party? I don't know. I got to find a beautiful brown woman to come with sunglasses and that's pretty and handsome. Would you fake it though? I mean, I guess.
Starting point is 01:03:33 So, you know, our friend... She has to do everything the Stevenson says when she shows up. He just yells at her to do stuff and she has to do it. She's like, yeah. What did I get myself into? He definitely will ask her about the weather. What is the weather going to be like today? And she will have to know.
Starting point is 01:03:45 That would be fun to have a business where, you know, because they do the Disney princesses. Yes. Where you go as Alexa. You have to know a lot of information. I feel like they would ask you and you might have to like sneak off to the side and like ask the real Alexa. Just you can tell you. Are you guys doing anything special for the party?
Starting point is 01:04:02 Like where are you going? We're going to be at Kevin and Michelle's house. Is that house? Yeah, they have, they were getting like a bouncy house and barbecueing and it'll be fun. If you're listening to this, hopefully on Sunday night, you'll watch our CMA music festival. Ballyarini, Thomas Red, and myself are all hosting it. And they're also playing. But like Lil Nas X and Dan and Shea and it's on ABC at 8-7 Central.
Starting point is 01:04:26 So we hope that you'll watch that coming up. Kind of a bonus, tell me something good. A woman in Arkansas bought out an entire Payless shoe store that was closing down and got 1,500 pairs of shoes for pennies on the dollar. And now she's having an event where parents can get free shoes in time for school. Oh, wow. That is awesome. Pretty cool, huh?
Starting point is 01:04:46 Yep. A woman in northwest Arkansas. saw. And I'm Carrie Jernigan took her kids to the mall and they had that gate kind of halfway down. And they're like, we're closing. She's like, what are you going to do with all these shoes? And they're like, well, liquidation.
Starting point is 01:05:00 She's like, all right, I'll buy them all if I can get them real cheap. So they did. She said, how much? The cashier, they're about 300 pairs. And she got them for about 49 cents each whenever they kind of did the math on it. And so now she's like, okay, come on. Anybody wants it. So I thought that's pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:05:14 That is. Yeah. So things got even more generous because she came back with a truck to pick up the shoes. the store I just got another shipment of a thousand pair of shoes and then she bought them too. Oh, wow. I wonder why they're sending shoes to a store that's closing though. Here's a thousand more.
Starting point is 01:05:26 We know you're closing. That's a problem with America. Shoe gluttony. So I saw that. That was fantastic. There's a Las Vegas pizza place adding grasshopper toppings. Grasshoppers are all the rage. Grasshoppers are all over Vegas.
Starting point is 01:05:40 That's the news story is they've taken over Las Vegas. Are they using those grasshoppers? Oh, yeah. Are they collecting them from the... A Las Vegas pizzeria is looking to cash in on the grasshopper invasion. Oh. Starting yesterday,
Starting point is 01:05:50 evil pie is selling pizza top with grasshoppers. In a Facebook post, the restaurant's owner says that the canyon hopper, which is the name of the pizza, is made with a chorizo goat cheese,
Starting point is 01:06:01 caramelized onions, arugla, and lime and garlic-roasted grasshoppers. In a social media post, the eatery admits, what started as a joke amongst our stoner friends has swept the nation.
Starting point is 01:06:13 So when everybody's fighting over pineapple on pizza, they've decided to hit you with the canyon Hopper. Pinole pineapple on pizza, yes or no? No. Yeah, I'm good with it. I like it. You? Yes or no? Absolutely. Eddie? Really? We're torn on this. Morgan number two? Absolutely not. No way. Oh, yeah. Why not? Why absolutely? Like, I'm not really an advocate of it. But I'm not recommending it, but I like pineapple on. But with ham? Canadian bacon. Right.
Starting point is 01:06:37 Oh, so good. Yeah, what's up? That's a Hawaiian pizza, right? Yeah. Sure. Okay. Yeah. I mean. Favorite pizza topping, Amy? You get one topping. Go. Tomatoes? Tomatoes? Well, I'm assuming there's cheese and bread already there. Yeah. Cheese and crust already there. I was like, I just like plain pizza, but veggies.
Starting point is 01:06:54 Yeah. Vegetables? Sure. Eddie? Well, I mean, I can't just go mushroom, so I'm just going to go pepperoni. Like, I go full pepperoni. I go one pepperoni. My favorite.
Starting point is 01:07:03 You like mushrooms, though? I do pepperoni and mushroom. Lunchbox? Uh, sausage. Morgan number two? No toppings. Just cheese pizza. I don't like toppings.
Starting point is 01:07:12 You're that one. Yep. What would be irritating is, This happens with veggie pizza and cheese pizza. Whenever the office will order pizzas, they used to order pizzas all the time, somebody would demand to get a vegetarian pizza, and like one piece would be eaten. Right. Like all the meat would be gone.
Starting point is 01:07:24 All the meat pizza will be gone. But the person who demanded a veggie pizza, there'd be like one or two pizza. There's all the veggie pizza that nobody eats. Yeah. Same thing with cheese pizza. Well, then I would order the pepperoni mushroom one and they would be like, ugh, so gross. And there would be nothing left afterwards.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Like, mm-hmm. That's what I thought. Well, no, you had to pick off the mushrooms and eat the pepperoni. Oh. My son orders, my five-year-old, he orders pepperoni pizzas, but he takes them all off. He doesn't like cheese pizza, but he likes pepperoni pizzas without. He likes the oil, I guess the grease. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Would you eat grasshopper pizza? No. You wouldn't? No. Even you. Even me? I would. I think I'm into eating bugs.
Starting point is 01:08:00 Yes. Bugs? Yes. You'll eat anything that supposedly will make you healthier. I don't know that that pizza is going to make me healthier or those grasshoppers. I go yes. Amy goes no. It sounds actually really good.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Let's give it a shot. Yeah. Three. Morgan number two. Got some of pizza? Nope. No way. Dang.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Morgan number two went to this fancy ice cream place. It's like old school. And she goes and she, I was like, what did you get? She goes, well, I got vanilla ice cream with sprinkles. It was okay. I was like, of course it's only okay. It's a vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. Like you're going to this place.
Starting point is 01:08:28 It's been around 50 years that makes fancy like shakes and Sundays. And she gets like a standard cone with vanilla. It looks so pretty. And then she's all like, it was just okay. Well, you only ordered an okay thing. Yeah. You didn't give it a shot. It was chocolate dip.
Starting point is 01:08:42 though. It was like one of their big items, so I thought it would be a good one. And she was a hater toward it. Starting point is 01:11:12 I got pizza I got chili crisp hot honey by Lee Cum Kee Oh, I was thinking simple I was thinking unforgettable Wow what did you do to this pizza Just added a little sweet And a little heat I think I'm in love
Starting point is 01:11:32 marry me Careful This stuff makes you say things Chili Crisp Hot Honey by Lee Kum Kee Grab it online or in stores. How do you flex your flavor? The Bible show.
Starting point is 01:11:46 Here's Amy's pile of stories. So the inventor of the gender reveal party admits it was a stupid idea. She kind of regrets, you know, popularizing it. So she's a blogger. Her baby reveal was way back in 2008, and it involved slicing a piece of cake, and, like, pink would be on the inside of blue, and that's how you would know.
Starting point is 01:12:08 Well, she was having a girl, and it kind of caught fire. on the internet and everybody started doing it and now they've taken on. I mean, now people like, do gender reveal lasagna. Oh, that's where you go with, of all the crazy options. I didn't know that cake was the first one. Yeah. That was the first gender reveal. And she thinks that there's danger in these types of parties now because you're like putting like social stuff like on a baby before they're even born. Like nobody should really care what sex the baby is. Oh, she should relax. It's not that big of a deal. Like,
Starting point is 01:12:40 She overthinking it? Yeah, it's fun for some people. It's dumb for others. I don't have a problem with it. But there's no social thing. People either want boys or girls, and they're usually happy with a baby that comes out and is alive, you know? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:52 She said that a signing focus on gender at birth leaves out so much of their potential and their talents and has nothing to do with what's in between their legs. You know, you mentioned healthy, Eddie? Yes. People get mad and we go, all people want a healthy baby because my baby boy is a healthy and I still love it. Well, that's true. Yeah, but it's a weird thing. It is really weird.
Starting point is 01:13:08 I didn't think about that. But it's okay to also say. you just want a healthy baby. Right. Like, that's okay. Yeah. Everybody's so sensitive. Everybody's getting bud hurt
Starting point is 01:13:15 about everything now. All right, what else, Amy? Well, Holiday Inn and even more hotels are announcing a move to help save the environment and lunchbox is not going to like this, but they plan to ditch all the mini toiletry bottles
Starting point is 01:13:27 in all their guest rooms. Yeah, they're going to put it into a bulk size. A lot of them where you have... Right, like at the gym. Like if you go shower at the gym, a lot of times they have a big container that you pump out of and then you can't take that.
Starting point is 01:13:40 at home with you. Well, it's not going to make me mad. I take them home because all they do is throw them away. I think they waste too much, so that's why I take them. Oh, okay. So you actually like this because it helps the environment. Absolutely. I thought you were going to miss out on all the free stuff.
Starting point is 01:13:52 I do miss out on the free shampoo, but what are you going to do? That makes you think of that Friends episode where Ross reminds me of lunchbox because when Ross is staying in a hotel, he packs it up everything and he wants to take all the toilet paper and he wants Chandler's toilet paper from his room. And that's what Lunchbox does. That was because of other circumstances. Whether it just because he steals or wants it. I thought he did that at every hotel.
Starting point is 01:14:15 I don't think that's the case at every hotel. But when they go to the apple orchards, that we're talking about, when it all falls out and everything's there? No, no. I'm talking about a different episode, I guess. Okay, so a couple has named their puppies after the Taco Bell menu to help them find homes.
Starting point is 01:14:31 They recently rescued a dog from a shelter's kill list. And when they got the dog home, they had no idea. The dog was pregnant with puppies. And they're like, whoa. Wow. What a surprise. We didn't know we were rescuing a dog with like all these puppies.
Starting point is 01:14:44 So obviously now they need to get them all adopted. And they found a cute way to do it. They named the puppies Chalupa, Fiesta Potato, cinnamon twist, crunch rat supreme, Doritos Locos, Gordita. There's a lot of puppies. How many puppies that dog are? Wow. Valbronde and caesarito.
Starting point is 01:15:06 Yes, I was waiting for that one. Yeah, caserito. Where? Yeah, that's the one in Ra Rai Mundo's orders. Oh, what is that? You're a big casarito guy? I was before keto. I mean, we're talking. Oh, my back. Yeah, but it's good. It's the KCD on the outside.
Starting point is 01:15:19 Of what? I walked into the break room and Ray was eating some keto balls. Yeah, it was meatballs, but healthy. Yeah, I was like noon and I was like crushing that keto and he was dedicated. Had his little container, his little meatballs, he was cutting them up in like quarters. And like, he's on it, but I'm telling you look good. Thank you, my man. My girl's doing it.
Starting point is 01:15:39 She was the inspiration. I told her I'd join her. Can you stay on this diet, though? It's simple. Eat cheese. Eat whatever you want. Just no pizza, no bread, no carbs. You can eat beef jerky.
Starting point is 01:15:48 You can eat tons of stuff on keto. You'd be surprised. Pork rinds. Wow. Yeah. Big old bag of pork rins. Are you worried about getting the meat sweats? No, I ain't got those yet.
Starting point is 01:16:00 You drop a low weight, though. Yeah, I'm not trying to lose weight, but just because of the diet, I guess. I'm eating a ton, though. I eat just as much as I usually do. Yeah. Well, you look good. you killing it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:09 Walked in there, he was dedicated. He's chopping up those little meatballs. Yeah. Eddie made a joke. I don't care if we ruin it. We're going to do it in our act. Because Eddie's also lost weight. Yeah. We'll probably do this tomorrow night in Chicago, see if it works. Thanks, bones. And we have a part. I'm a part. I'm a part. Thanks for noticing. We're not doing it. Takedo diet. You know, tacos all day. Yeah. Yeah. I've been on it.
Starting point is 01:16:37 I get it. I get it. Trust me, it'll be funny. We'll work on it. It will be. All right, thank you. We good? Yeah, maybe that's my file.
Starting point is 01:16:44 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. A woman picking up breakfast at a Tennessee McDonald's was surprised with a free meal recently. Her name is Heidi Goforth. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
Starting point is 01:17:02 She was in the drive-thru, buying breakfast for her son. When she went to pay, the bill had already been taken care of. on the receipt she was handed. There was a handwritten note that said, my son is in the Air Force. I can't buy him breakfast, so I bought yours. Have a blessed day.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Aw. And she was so touched that she put the story up on Facebook and it's being getting a lot of shares. Yeah. So that's pretty awesome. So, you know, Heidi just was getting her breakfast,
Starting point is 01:17:26 but she got her for you because somebody else was like, man, wish I could buy my son. He's off. He's serving. So I'm going to do this for you. So she wrote back on the message, he's lucky to have a mom that loves him so much.
Starting point is 01:17:34 God bless you and him and tell him thank you for his service. Oh, wow. So hopefully that'll it back to the person because she doesn't know who actually bought her the breakfast. But I thought that was an awesome story and I wanted to share that and that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Starting point is 01:17:49 Morgan number two, 30 Second Skinny. Chris Jansen shared the details of his next album. It's called Real Friends and it's coming out on October 18th. There's 11 new songs on the album and he says he made all of the songs with actual real friends of his. And here's a clip of good vibes from it. Well, I would think that Eddie and I are real friends. Yeah. We're not on the record.
Starting point is 01:18:15 Yeah, it's kind of weird. Like, go to Christmas parties. Yeah. We text. Yeah, y'all song, right? He opened with Forrest today, whatever. I guess that's his now new good friends. Yeah, what else, Morgan number two?
Starting point is 01:18:29 Marin Morris is the subject of the magazine Harper Bazaar's first music documentary. Keith Urban and Cheryl are featured on it talking about Marin. And that video's up at Bobby Bones.com. watch some of it. It's really good. Yeah. Yeah, it's really a fantastic piece where it's Marin going, well, here's the issue that country music has with women. And then people are talking about it and it goes into her music. It's a really strong look for her. Not that she needs it, but it's pretty cool. What else? And Brantley Gilbert has a new song out tomorrow, and it's called Bad Boy. He shared a teaser on social media.
Starting point is 01:19:09 Brantley and Lindsay L. will be performing together on the CMA Fest on Sunday night at 7 Central. So hopefully you check that out on ABC. All right, there you have it. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me go. Transmitting. This is... You guys ready for the investigative corny.
Starting point is 01:19:35 It's Amy's joke, but we try to figure it out. We have one minute and 30 seconds to figure out Amy's corny joke. Let me get some of that investigative music, please, Ray Mundo. All right. The timer has been put up in front of me. We'll have 90 seconds from when Amy finishes her joke. Amy, what categories is you joke in today? Botany.
Starting point is 01:19:54 What? My strongest of joke categories. I mean, actually. Is that plants? It's a plant joke, yeah. Are we ready to Raymond do? Hit that jingle. The morning corny.
Starting point is 01:20:07 Why couldn't the flower ride his bike to school? Why couldn't the flower ride his bike to school? He couldn't pedal fast enough. It's got to be a pedal thing, right? He lost all his pedals. It's a pedal thing. What's our answer? He doesn't have any pedals.
Starting point is 01:20:20 It's got to pedal fast enough. be that, right? Yeah. He didn't have any pedals. Bike, pedals. Yeah. You're gonna have to, like, we're just gonna go with that.
Starting point is 01:20:30 The answer is, we nailed this one. Do we want to waste a minute? Do we want to talk about something else? Like, why couldn't he ride his bike? Because he didn't have any pedals on his bike. His pedals were broken. It's got to be, it's got to be a, because why we should just be given it
Starting point is 01:20:47 if it's a pedal answer about him not having good pedals, Amy? Stop looking at me like that. Okay, okay, okay. The answer is... His petals were broken. But it's a flower. Pedals fall off of a flower.
Starting point is 01:20:59 I know, but they're also broken. No, the pedals don't break. His pedals were... He didn't have pedals. He didn't have a pedal. No. You're not getting it. No, no, I do get it.
Starting point is 01:21:08 Okay, he didn't have any pedals. Whatever. I mean, I guess it's like... It's all the same. It's a pedal. Yes, Ramon, no, hit that jingle again, please. The morning corny. Why couldn't
Starting point is 01:21:20 the flower ride his bike to school. Victory time, boys. Go ahead. His pedals were broken. There you go. Eddie. Wow. Is that how it's written? Yes.
Starting point is 01:21:31 Yeah, Eddie. Just let us answer. He's going to take anything. I thought you for no reason, Bones. I'm sorry. We're just lovers. And we're a team. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:39 And there's no I in team. This isn't the debate last night. We're not fighting each other for no reason. We're up here hanging out. Wow. Nice job. Nice job. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:47 Do the thing. Do the thing. Clear eyes. Bull hearts Can't lose Very much We needed that one It's been a while
Starting point is 01:21:55 Yeah I know I kind of softball Oh stop it Stop it Come on You probably though Bethany and Kentucky Thanks for calling
Starting point is 01:22:05 The Bobby Bone show You're on the air How are you? I'm good How are you? Pretty good What do you want to say I just wanted to say
Starting point is 01:22:13 Thank you all for making me Live every morning I love listening to you guys You're welcome We wish it was intentional more than it is Sometimes we just say dumb stuff. You know, this morning, Bethany, I'm glad you're here.
Starting point is 01:22:23 You can take part in this conversation. This morning, a caller asked me, hey, what's the deal? What are you looking for in a girl? Remember that? Yep. And so I just list off some things, just off the top of my head. And I am just getting ripped for it online. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:22:39 I know. Wait, what are you getting ripped for? They didn't say, what are some things that you would give up on? It's like, what's the perfect scenario for you? Yeah. And so Morgan, number two, can you read the things that, written in that tweet because she posted it go ahead what am i looking for according to your tweet somebody goes no problem bro no read what we put in the tweet oh yeah yeah okay okay here we go okay ready yeah
Starting point is 01:23:00 yeah the question was what am i looking for in a girl i answered a question i didn't come with this bit going here ye here ye here's what i demand correct you were asked and you gave an answer what was my answer smart got it funny got it physically fit got it got it people that read books got it Someone who's all about me, but not all about me. That's a tough one, but go ahead. So independent that it drives me crazy. Right. Now, I don't know that I'm asking for anything out of what I would feel is acceptable for me to have the rest of my life relationship with.
Starting point is 01:23:31 Yeah. But here are some comments from people that are just thumping me in the head on social media. Go ahead. Somebody goes, no problem, bro. I've got a unicorn for you. Oh, wow. Funny. So she's going to be hard to find.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Yeah. What else, Morgan, number two? Have you ever seen the movie Weird Science? I have back in the day, or they created the perfect girl. I remember that. I'm down for that. If the technology was there. I know.
Starting point is 01:23:55 One day, if you come to us and you're dating AI. Yeah, well, that day will happen. It's just what day will it be? I hope you're in a real relationship before that option comes up. Oh, we bring an AI as a third to spice it up? Nope. Morgan, number two, any other one you see over there? Yeah, there's a lot of these.
Starting point is 01:24:11 Give me one more. Hmm, that sounds a lot like Sharna Burgess. Oh, that's interesting. Stop it. Very interesting. Stop it. Bethany, anything you'd like to say about that? First of all, just want to say I voted for you every single week on dance on.
Starting point is 01:24:26 Thank you very much. I love that. I appreciate that. Thank you. Yes, yes. I was so happy for you when you want. But I think, I mean, like you said, you were asked the question and you answered it honestly and not saying you don't have to compromise, but there you go.
Starting point is 01:24:41 That's what you're looking for. Yeah, life is full of compromises. You're putting it out there. And I plan to compromise on everything except. that list. Bethany, thank you. Have a wonderful day. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:24:53 All right, see you later. I want to go talk to Anna in Chicago. Anna, what's happening? I'm so excited. Listen to this. She sounds excited. Anna's listening on Big 955 in Chicago. You know, we're playing Chicago.
Starting point is 01:25:07 Eddie and I are tomorrow doing our comedy and music show, but it's the same weekend as Lala Paloosa. Did you know that? Yeah, I did know that. So they're getting mad because we're taking all their people. Like pretty much everybody's canceled Lala Palluza. Yeah, Lala's ticket sales are struggling. And they're coming to watch the Raging Idiots in the Copernicus Center.
Starting point is 01:25:22 I know. What song are you looking forward to us most singing, Anna? Well, I don't know. I'm just excited to come see you. Me and my 19-year-old daughter are coming. All right. Well, let me tell you, you're in store for a night of mediocrity. At most.
Starting point is 01:25:41 Well, hey, thank you. I doubt that. We'll see you tomorrow night, all right? All right, I can't wait. All right, bye, Anna. Anyone that wants to come, Ragingidates.com, if you want to get tickets. The fantasy draft results from yesterday. Have you guys seen who won?
Starting point is 01:25:57 Nah, well, we figured. I figure I know who it is. Go ahead, Eddie. It's Amy. Okay. Well, Amy had the first pick, and she picked George Strait yesterday. The game was Cowboy Hat Wearers. And what happens, we draft in order.
Starting point is 01:26:11 It's hard to get a team that you want because you have to wait other people to draft. In the last place, we kind of work backward, was lunchbox. Thank you very much. Good job. And then tied for next to last for Eddie. Oh, tied?
Starting point is 01:26:25 Yeah. And Morgan number two. Oh. She had to throw in one where maybe she didn't win. Oh, no. Wow. Are you still on this conspiracy theory? No, no.
Starting point is 01:26:36 I'm kidding. Morgan number two. And in second place with Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, and Hank Williams Jr. was me. Finished second again, two times in a row. And Amy wins her first ever draft. Amy. And to win with George Strait just feels like such an honor. I'll have to let him know. Hopefully, do you think he knows?
Starting point is 01:26:54 Oh, yeah. I'm sure it was all the talk of San Antonio yesterday. Right. Amy had George Strait, John, Party, and Chris Stapleton. Yeah. What a fantastic. Congrats, boys. You got that first pick, but then you also had some strong picks at second and third round.
Starting point is 01:27:06 George, John and Chris, my boys. Yeah. Yeah. Look at you winning. So Morgan number two has three wins. Eddie has one. Amy has one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:15 I can finish second twice in a row. I just can't pull the trigger. Can't close the deal. It's like my dating life. Can't close a deal. Okay, a seven-year-old boy gets 526 blank removed from his mouth, Amy? Teeth. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:27:32 Oh, wow. A lot of teeth. It's a lot. Interesting. Lunchbox. Legos. Ooh, solid guess. They're small pieces of Legos.
Starting point is 01:27:43 Eddie? I'm going to go with nerds. Tandies. Small tiny candies. I got 526 in right now. even be nerds morning. Can't even tell. Just left over from like a month ago. It's a dumb guess. Nobody likes going to the dentist for what they fear they may find. One seven-year-old boy went and found out that he had 526 hidden teeth. What? Amy. My original thought was nerds, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:28:08 That had to be removed surgically. The abnormal teeth were embedded in his jawbone. Oh my goodness. They ended up removing all the extra teeth and then left him with the 21 normal teeth that he had. The doctors could not find a reason as to why he had so many extra teeth hidden away, but maybe possible radiation exposure or some genetic defect. Everything else is fine. They say, he's good. We're all good here. But 526 teeth.
Starting point is 01:28:32 That jawbone stuff, like I, and if you've been with the show for a while, you know, I've told the story, I didn't go to the dentist until my 20s. You know, I grew up pretty poor. So you didn't go to the dentist. You just tried to make the pain go away. And because of that, I never took my wisdom teeth out. And so I got old. and they're like, hey, these are impacting, man, you need to get them out.
Starting point is 01:28:53 I was like, nah, I'm good. Never got them out before. I was like 26 or 27. I'm all good. Like, dude, you should get them out. It's bad news. Yeah, I'm tough. 30 years old.
Starting point is 01:29:01 You got to get them out. Who cares? About 32, they said, hey, your teeth are going into your jawbone. They had to break my jawbone on one side of my mouth over here, like crack it to get the teeth out because it had grown into my jawbone. Ew. I know. And nobody did a new story about me. I was just an idiot, though.
Starting point is 01:29:18 That kid was growing with 520 teeth. They could use you as an example of what not to do. There's a story I'm going to talk about in a second, about a Delta pilot. Did you see? And I think about you because your husband, yeah, he got caught with a bottle of alcohol and he was drunk. Yes. About to get on a plane and fly people. That's messed up.
Starting point is 01:29:35 We'll talk about that coming up in a minute. Ramundo put up a tweet. I'd like to read to you this tweet, the perfect ending to a perfect month. Y'all wait for August. It's going to be epic. Oh, that's, okay. All of Twitter is a buzz. about that tweet. You also posted the picture of a sunset.
Starting point is 01:29:54 Yeah, I mean, you pretty much have to when you're sitting out there and it's just, it was beautiful, dude. I wanted the world to see that sunset. The perfect ending to a perfect month. What was so perfect about your month? Oh, July was greatness. We had 4th of July. Went to Hawaii, celebrated my girl beating cancer for a year. My brother got married, so now I have nieces, nephews. I got all kinds of family all of a sudden. It was a crazy month and I'm like, football's here and we got some big time stuff going on in August. Okay, so August, as he says, y'all wait for August, it's going to be epic.
Starting point is 01:30:25 Yeah. Are you going to propose in August? Possibly. Yeah. I need two things to come, like, to fruition, and it's for sure that in August. What are those two things that you need to come to fruition to propose to your girlfriend have six years? Definitely, the ring is one. You're trying to grow it?
Starting point is 01:30:44 No, it takes time, though. To do what? What's the time-consuming thing about the ring? Honestly, it's not just one of those you walk in. Oh, I picked this out. It's coming from. from someplace very, very special, and it's, it takes time to get here from there. Are you mining it yourself?
Starting point is 01:31:00 I'm just telling you, the person that told me, hey, maybe it's two to three weeks, maybe it's a month, so. So you've already been in touch with the person that's getting you the ring? Yes. Is it one of my clients? One of my... No, maybe down the road, I guess. If there's other things to a ring, it's not just the diamond, there's the band,
Starting point is 01:31:16 there's all kinds of this stuff. So yes, some of them couldn't come into play as well. What's so funny? That's the truth. Did Dave Ramsey help you? No. He did give us a guy, but yeah, yeah, he did not. All right.
Starting point is 01:31:28 Well, good luck with your strong August. Thank you. Ray Mundo, who is the audio guy who runs all the buttons on the board, who I would compare to Joey from Friends as to what he looks like and kind of how he lives his life. Five foot six, keetoing it up on that keto diet. He walks in, he's skinnyer every day. I don't want to be skinny. You look great, though.
Starting point is 01:31:49 You got your, like, underwear shirt on today. It looks like you're wearing long johns, but it's just a shirt. Yeah, this is my favorite. work shirt, man. With your big biceps. I'm just going to jealous. Like the guy walks in. Looks great in an underwear shirt. Look at you, bud. Thank you. All right. August's going to be awesome. Marry me. Careful. This stuff makes you say things. Chili crisp hot honey by Lee Cum Key. Grab it online or in stores. How do you flex your flavor?
Starting point is 01:34:46 I'm at this bar last night because there is a new band called the Badland Sons. I'm a big fan of the Badland Sons. And they had a show and I'm there. We're hanging out and Eddie comes. So there's a girl. We kind of end up in the same circle. I'm like, I, you know, I didn't really come out here to try to shoot my shot, but why not? So it's loud. And I'm trying to talk like this. I'm like, hey, how are you? What's your name? Like, I'm the most awkward person when it comes to trying to talk someone over loud music, I do not thrive in that environment. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:24 And so, where did you go? What part of town do you live in? No, not Billy. It's a whole thing. It's a nightmare. Right. And so I think I am about a half step behind what I started. Because I had seen her, and we talked a little bit once, but I didn't know her, and we started.
Starting point is 01:35:45 And now I think she thinks I'm a bigger idiot than before we started. Because all I did was yell things over the time. Go! Go! Do you want to do you? Can't. No, nobody's... Okay, bye! We're going to party. The whole thing, I'm so awkward.
Starting point is 01:36:00 I'm never going to get past this. Now I'm... It's over. I'm not going to improve with this game. So there was... Nothing. I think, again, I think she feels worse about me than before it started.
Starting point is 01:36:10 Half yelled words. I think she thinks I'm more of an idiot than before. I think she goes, wow, this guy's got a little potential. Let's look at him. Let's have a little talk. Did you follow her on Instagram? I'm not going to answer that because the people will go look at... I don't follow that many people.
Starting point is 01:36:22 Okay, fine. Is there another way you could reach out to her or you don't have to yell? I'm great on text. Right, that's what I'm saying. Text or a quiet situation or if she'll like come and watch me do stand up, then I really dominate.
Starting point is 01:36:33 That's not you interacting with her. Who cares? Just let her watch her watch. Like bring her in here, put her in a chair and let her watch us do the show. But anyway, it was kind of miserable last night. This is so unsuccessful. You just got to kind of be good looking
Starting point is 01:36:45 or be drinking to be able to pull that off with the loud music. So, how long have you lived in? You have a cousin? Okay, bye. Sounds like you gave up. Yeah, every time, because she couldn't hear. Well, I mean, did she seem the slightest of it interested?
Starting point is 01:37:06 Was she leaning in? She kept leaning her head in to go, what are you saying? And the worst is when someone's yelling and then your ear, like, itches. Yeah. And I'll be like, and then the music right when I would start to yell, the song would end. And I'd be like, hey, can I ask you a question? How do you feel about when it was? What?
Starting point is 01:37:23 What? Wait, When did she pull back? The whole thing was a disaster. Yeah. I'm a disaster. I get why I'm lonely all the time. I just can't do it.
Starting point is 01:37:31 I need to order one of those Russian rides. No. No. First of all, should be a spy. True. She'll come over here and then she'll just be collecting your information. You know, I have this dating app that I'm on and it says where people were born.
Starting point is 01:37:44 And some people are international. Yeah. They're in the States now. Anytime they say Russia, I just think they're a spy. I'm like, there's no way. They're going to cut. Can't date them. Yep.
Starting point is 01:37:52 They're probably working for Putin. Probably going to hack my election. Probably. You have to be careful, too, because you do have aspirations to be in politics. Oh, yeah. And we're actually dealing with that now with a couple of things we're doing here at the station. Like, I just, if it feels funny, I can't do it anymore. And they know, work knows.
Starting point is 01:38:09 They're like, we're not going to put you in a bad situation because we know you have political ambition. Amy and I had a talk a month ago. I was like, hey, it could happen at any time. Like off air where I was like, hey, you should get ready. Because before we know it, this is going to be the Amy show and I'm going to be out. Oh, I thought you were telling her Get ready, we're going to move to the White House. No.
Starting point is 01:38:26 Well, that would be, I think he used to take a few, We're not White House. There's a few steps before 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but. I also had some attorneys go look and see what the languages in the Arkansas like state constitution. For living there? You have to live there seven years in a row, but not right now. I've already been there.
Starting point is 01:38:44 I spent with the whole first part of my life. Okay, so you're good. I'm covered. Oh, so at any point. Oh, yeah. You were there at least until you were, what, 20? 22? Two?
Starting point is 01:38:53 Yeah. Solid. A Delta pilot, 37 years old, is arrested with a bottle of alcohol after boarding a plane drunk in Minneapolis. Unbelievable. When I saw that a pilot got onto a commercial airline and had been drinking and they took a bottle of alcohol, I thought it was another country. Me too. And then I saw it was Delta right here in the United States of America.
Starting point is 01:39:16 37 years old, he was removed from the fully boarded plane. Fully boarded. At Minneapolis, St. Paul International Airport. on Tuesday at 11 a.m. He was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol. He had been scheduled to fly the plane from Minneapolis to San Diego.
Starting point is 01:39:31 Boy, that's no short flight either. Prior to boarding the flight, TSA officer spotted Schroeder leaving a screening line. And they were like, hmm, they're doing some extra checks on him. And so he was arrested. Police allegedly found a bottle of alcohol on him.
Starting point is 01:39:47 Why would you have a bottle of alcohol on you, though? I don't know. If I were going to be drunk, if he'd be on a plane... If he's that drunken, maybe he's just not thinking, clearly. I would imagine he's... Or I don't know what pilots are allowed to bring through because they can bring, you know, special things.
Starting point is 01:40:02 Yeah, well, listen, I'll say this. No formal charges were immediately filed and any formal complaint is pending the results of the toxicology tests, and that will take as long as a week. He declined to comment to CNN. I guess innocent until proven guilty. Absolutely, and I'm going to read that paragraph because I needed to say that.
Starting point is 01:40:18 Maybe it was a bottle of calamine lotion, and it just looked like alcohol. And maybe he was having some sort of like mental episode that appeared as though he was drunk and he wasn't And if he smelled like alcohol I don't know I don't know But I mean that's just
Starting point is 01:40:33 It could have been that new cologne scotch Yeah I love that one Aged whiskey Yeah Jack Just Jack Do I have a clip Ramundo
Starting point is 01:40:42 For this from the news? I don't see one Is there no clip? Okay Someone stole the package off a woman's porch And inside of it were nine blank You say Snakes.
Starting point is 01:40:54 Lunchbox? I already know the answer. Thank you for bowing out. Eddie? Dynamite sticks. Whoa. Yeah, yeah. And he's like, oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:41:01 I got to get rid of this. Someone stole a package off a woman's porch in South Carolina, but it had nine tarantulas inside. Okay. The cops say they don't have any suspects so far. There's a woman in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She called cops. She got a notification that her FedEx package was delivered. She did not see it on her porch.
Starting point is 01:41:17 Boy, packages are getting stolen all the time by everybody. It's always in the news. Yeah. I don't, yeah. The person that stole the person's dog? Remember that? Yeah, and tried to sell it. Dropped off a package, grabs the wiener dog,
Starting point is 01:41:28 then puts the wiener dog on Cragg's list for like 80 bucks. Of course you get caught. And I started thinking like, that's probably, unless that just coincidence, it's the first time they did it, but maybe that's their thing. Man, like, I walk my dog, and I see a lot of packages
Starting point is 01:41:41 just sit in front of people's houses. It's like, dude, it's like for two days in a row sometime. It's like a buffet. Have whatever you want. Yeah. So that's why they do it, I guess. Tempting. Yeah. I mean, they are there.
Starting point is 01:41:51 And I don't, you know, sometimes I'll let a package sit out there for 12 hours. Don't do that. Why did you? I don't know it's there. Yeah, sometimes. If we don't use our front door because we coming through the back. Yeah. Hey.
Starting point is 01:42:04 Here's DeWain Johnson, The Rock, on Jimmy Fallon, talking about what he eats for his cheat meals. Okay. You were into pancakes. You were big in the pancakes. I'm into pancakes. I'm into sushi. Oh, like right there. That's the same time.
Starting point is 01:42:18 That is sushi and pancakes. Yes. Which I wouldn't recommend that, but you've got to give it a shot. What else? Ah, yes, even more sushi, sandwiches. Those are good-looking sandwiches. Oh, it's the best, dude. And for me, I mean, the cheat meals are, it's like, it's like church, you know?
Starting point is 01:42:34 It's like for me, because you work out hard, and once a week, you treat yourself, and then, you know, I partake in that. And I just, I open my computer, and I sit there. But here's the thing, I have to wait until everybody is to sleep. That's the way I got to do it. I put the babies down to sleep. Everyone goes to sleep, Lauren, everybody. So at like midnight. He's going hard on food if people have to go to sleep for him to do it.
Starting point is 01:42:55 Right? You got to put everybody to sleep. Usually that's when you play video games. Yeah, I kind of have a video game closet now. Madden's about, when does Madden come out, Raymondo? Yeah, it's out tomorrow, baby. I'll get it. It's the one game that I buy and play for about three weeks.
Starting point is 01:43:08 You go play in the closet or you just store it in the closet? Well, a lot of people think I live in the closet anyway. Wait, so what's this closet? I went to my closet has like a little closet on it, and I've put the screen up. there. Oh. So I have a video game closet now. That's where you go play? Well, I haven't yet. I've just now set it up for Madden, basically. And I have Fortnite, but I don't ever play it. I just get on there a nine-year-olds curse me out and beat me to play Fortnite. I put the headset on and they're like, hey,
Starting point is 01:43:34 beep, beep, beep. And I'm like, dude, you're like 11. And you're saying the effort in 30 seconds more than I've said in the past 10 years. And so then you just feel creepy talking to kids on a headset. Right. And you felt creepy about that for years and you've only gotten older. And they've stayed the same age. All right, all right. Wooderson quote. And I won't play Madden really against anyone random. Because again, these kids get on there and you just feel weird with kids in your ear.
Starting point is 01:44:02 And they are mean. They will Google search you and pull up your Instagram and make fun of pictures of you as you're playing the game. You're joking. No. They'll be like... How do they have time to do that while they're playing? They make this five bones. They'll fit because my screen name is Bob.
Starting point is 01:44:14 It's like Bobby Bobby Bowens or something. And I'm like, no. They're like, yeah, it is. We know your voice. and then they'll Google. They'll be like, hey, what about this picture here? Your hair like stupid. And then I'm like...
Starting point is 01:44:24 Dang. And then I lose too, so it's just a whole losing situation. Oh, you put up a poll the other day about your hair. I voted. So don't know where the results ended up, but you had your big curly kind of... Yeah, kind of fur hair. And you were like, should I bring this hair back? I voted yes.
Starting point is 01:44:41 There were like three people devoted yes. Oh, really? Yeah. So no, it's not coming back. I'm going to put up a poll if I should get Botox today. Well, don't let Amy vote. I know. She'll be the one that votes yes. I will vote no.

Starting point is 01:47:37 This stuff makes you say things. Chili crisp hot honey by Lee Kum Kee. Grab an online or enlisting stores. How do you flex your flavor? It's time for the good news with Amy. Tell me something good. So Megan Ashley was on a recent flight from San Diego to Nashville, and she witnessed something that was so special that she shared it on Facebook, and now it's getting a lot of attention. But so she's on this flight, and this woman near her is 96 years old, scared to fly. I mean, she'd flown before in her life, but it had been like 15 years or so,
Starting point is 01:48:10 and she was really terrified. So she asked. the man next to her if he would hold her hand during takeoff. So he did. So cute. Then when they were up in the air in the plane... Oh my God, did they get married? Oh. Then when they were up in the air, they experienced turbulence. And he let her... She needed to, like, hug him. So she embraced him during the turbulence. And he let her, and he told her kind of what was happening, said things to calm her down. How old is she?
Starting point is 01:48:38 Then he helped her... 96. Helped her with her bag. And then what... Once they landed, even helped her find her daughter who was picking her up. She called him her flight angel. That's a sweet story. Yeah. And so, anyway, the woman that witnessed it, posed on Facebook.
Starting point is 01:48:53 And so I thought it was super cute because, I mean, that guy, you know, she could have sat next to somebody that was like, get off me, old lady. But, oh. How old was he to say? Doesn't say. Doesn't give the age of the flight angel? No. Flight angel is just, you know, a man.
Starting point is 01:49:06 Maybe he was a legit an angel. Let's say the flight goes up, right? And I'm sitting next. And there's, you know, attractive female next to me. and I'm like, will you just hold my hand? I'm a little nervous. No chance. No.
Starting point is 01:49:16 And then I finally, you know, it escalates a while. Then I'm like, can I just sit on your lap? Because I really don't do well on, you know, when, what are they? Descending? Yeah. Yeah. But turbulence, you need to think of something where it really helps if, well, I don't know that you want to. It helps if I kiss somebody.
Starting point is 01:49:34 Yeah. I was like kissing my too. It helps if I take off my pants during turbulence. Are we okay with this? No, too far, too far. Too far. Too far. All right, all right.
Starting point is 01:49:41 I was even thinking kissing was much. so I didn't say it. All right. That's a good story. I love that story. Good for him. Glad she found someone. And that's what it's all about.
Starting point is 01:49:50 That was tell me something good. I'm looking at the text screen. Hey, Morgan number two, will you get on this 504 number that wrote you're a douchebag on the screen? Let's see if they'll answer the phone. And they didn't write you are with an apostrophe.
Starting point is 01:50:02 They just wrote you're a douchebag. Like the wrong way. Let's see if Almighty texter wants to come on on the show and talk. They're probably like, they're probably pooping your pants right now. You gonna give out the whole number? Sure.
Starting point is 01:50:15 An audience member assaults a comedian during a show in San Francisco. Eish. A comedian at a venue was attacked by an audience member who was told to stop talking. The assault was recorded by a camera inside a performance space
Starting point is 01:50:28 and there's... How long is this clip, Raimundo? 15 seconds. There are no bad words, right? They may be bleeped. Okay, it's okay to play? All right, here we go. I do know who you are, so stop talking.
Starting point is 01:50:39 Oh, stop. Holy mother. Okay, wow, that got intense. That escalated super quays. Like, stop talking. Bam! Whoa. That's wild.
Starting point is 01:51:02 Man, I tell you, the worst thing is if you're trying to do spoken word and somebody's like yelling stuff thinking they're funny. Not even thinking that they're getting at the comedian, like fighting with them, but thinking they're also adding to the show. You're not adding to the show. Just, you go to a show, sit and watch the show, and you don't like it. You can leave. You should leave.
Starting point is 01:51:18 and there are people that will yell at when I'm doing stand-up and to be kind and be like, we love you! But I'm like right in the middle of a joke. Oh, yeah. And you're like, oh, just, and I've got to either get out of the joke or... So like, don't do that either. Like, don't heckle and don't. If someone's, if music's playing, you can yell all you want.
Starting point is 01:51:36 Right. But yeah, for spoken word. I haven't heard that audio. I just saw the clip of it. That stinks. You worried about that ever? Like, that here's why I'm not with that is because I'm in a theater. So the rooms are bigger.
Starting point is 01:51:48 Yeah. Takes them a while to get to you. You can run. You have a good head to start. By the time they got to you, someone will get to them. Those 93 old ushers working in the front of the theater are going to tackle them. Totally. Now, it'd be hard to get there.
Starting point is 01:51:59 However, I will say this. There's a city that Eddie and I are going to, and they have an open carry law in the city. You can carry guns. And they hit me up, and they're like, do you want them to be able to carry guns in the theater? And I was like, I'm okay with it. Could be fun. No, not fun. I was like, let's not make an issue about it.
Starting point is 01:52:14 Right. I like guns. you know and it's I think if you have a license and a permit you should be able to have it if you've been trained
Starting point is 01:52:23 to have a gun right or if you haven't done anything stupid enough for them to be able to say no gun for you you're okay and if I'm okay with that
Starting point is 01:52:30 but it was a whole issue yesterday we had a meeting about it. Wow. I don't want to say what talent it is because then people would go he likes
Starting point is 01:52:35 guns to beat everybody's gonna pull him out shooting in the air good joke bam bam bam bam wow okay guys but that was
Starting point is 01:52:42 yeah we had to how do you feel about the ed because we're doing the show to yeah how do you feel If they would have come to you and said, hey, this town, this city has a, you can carry. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:52 And in the theater, you can carry. Do you want us to say no carrying in the theater? What would you have said? No, I say it's okay because if that's what the town's used to, then they go everywhere like that. Agree. It's all right. I'm not worried about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:53:03 I also, not to just walk down. I'm not for everybody should have guns. Idiots shouldn't have guns. You know because I'm dumb that you should not be allowed to have a gun. But, yeah, it was the whole thing yesterday. You know what? Morgan number one, we were working with her yesterday. She's now working for me in a different capacity.
Starting point is 01:53:18 It was the first day I had worked with her over on that side of things. And how was it? She's killing it. She'll do great. Oh, awesome. Yeah, it was great. So everybody's asking where she is and how she is. She's over there working on what they call the management side of things.
Starting point is 01:53:31 But she's doing good. An assault charge has been dropped on the 10-year-old injured in Dodgeball. We talked about this yesterday. Oh, okay. They dropped it. Well, yeah, because it was ridiculous. Who should get in trouble is the, well, nobody. But if this kid had issues playing dodgeball, he should have been kept out of dodgeball.
Starting point is 01:53:52 If someone who had gone to the teacher and said, hey, this kid shouldn't play dodgeball, he has A, B, and C, and the teacher knew the teacher should get in trouble. But no, it's all been dropped. An assault charge against a 10-year-old boy who injured a fellow classmate in a dodge ball game has been dismissed. They announced, it was a whole deal. Listen to yesterday's show. The injured boy suffered a concussion of black guy and had a bruise on his knows. That was just another Wednesday at school for me, boys and girls. Oh, man. I'm sad.
Starting point is 01:54:20 Yeah, so that's an update. You want to hear a story that's going to make you go, oh, no? You want to hear the Selena Gomez story? Mike D. was telling me during the break? I don't even, yeah, because I have no idea what did she do. Mike D. Tell Amy what happened with Selena Gomez. Well, Selena Gomez had had a kidney donated to her by a friend. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:38 Remember that? Mm-hmm. Okay. And now it's been a year since he's talked to her. She ghosted her. the story Wait, what? The story is that Selina Gomez go I saw Raymondo's face go Oh, wait
Starting point is 01:54:50 Okay Now listen It's unfair for us to go This is the absolute truth Because we don't know the whole story Read me some of that story might be Well she said she ghosted her Because
Starting point is 01:54:59 She had told her The friend who donated the kidney That she wasn't going to drink anymore And now she's been having some wine lately And now has once nothing to do with her So Selena just stopped talking to her Oh man So the kidney giver
Starting point is 01:55:14 Said don't drink Yeah Well you can't say that What you give an organ It's hers, right? It is, yeah No, no, you don't get to make the rules on that organ You don't get that's...
Starting point is 01:55:27 Well, I mean, I don't know what the deal is not drinking and kidneys Once it's in her body Like I know there's issues of drinking and liver I mean I know like our organs do all sorts of things To process alcohol But I don't know what her condition is And if the doctor said hey, don't drink any alcohol
Starting point is 01:55:40 and as her friend. That probably wasn't why she gave it, but as a friend, she cares about her and she's like, you need to not drink. Okay, but you don't go. You can't drink. She's not like, that's my kidney in there.
Starting point is 01:55:51 Don't give it wine. I'll take it back. Take another drink. Right. One more drink. I'm taking that kidney back. You got this second shot at life and you're going to like taint the kidney.
Starting point is 01:56:00 Okay, but that's not worth a ghosting. Well, who ghosted? I'm confused. Okay, so the friends. If she confronted or Selena Gomez about it. Friend confront Selena. Yeah. Then Selena goes,
Starting point is 01:56:09 I'm not dealing with that. I'm ghosting you? Yep. Yeah, Selena goes. I'm kind of on Team Selena now a little bit. Whoa. You can't give somebody a kidney and then go, I'm making the rules for that kidney.
Starting point is 01:56:18 I think as a friend... It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. As a friend, you can be like, I really care for you and I hope you don't drink. But once you got that kidney in you, that's yours. Yeah, that's hard. I hope that they reconcile.
Starting point is 01:56:28 They probably will, right? Maybe. What if the repo kidney person shows up at Selena's house? With a dough truck. Selina's asleep. They're trying to quietly get it back. That's like the ultimate ghosting situation. I don't think I've ever heard a...
Starting point is 01:56:40 more crazy ghosting story. Ghosting on someone that gave a kidney. I mean, you've been ghosted. Wait, why would you say that so? A matter of fact. Of course you've been ghosted. I know you have in the past, but I don't know if it's happened like anytime recently,
Starting point is 01:56:53 but like I think there's been ghosting stories. You're like, who in the room's been ghosted? Bobby, you're going ghosted. Well, I mean, but I think we've all been married by the time ghosting got coined as a term. Yeah. Back when you guys were together, that was called Oregon trailing.
Starting point is 01:57:08 Yes. Went away. We weren't there when the first. facts came in. Exactly. You went on a boy. So walk us through a modern day organ trail.
Starting point is 01:57:15 Okay. So this is, it's been a bit, I'd say a couple months, maybe before that. But one of my friends goes, hey, I'm going to set you up with somebody. I'm like, cool.
Starting point is 01:57:24 They put me, her, and that friend on a three-way text, which I never like anyway. I'm not a fan of that. I'm going to introduce you guys on text and then they're also in the chat. It's a weird thing. So I'm like, all right, cool.
Starting point is 01:57:36 So they put us all three up. I'm being pretty vulnerable here. So if we can not take shots for a minute, guys. It's that true son, making fun of me? You got it. So then you got to kind of be funny, not only to the girl. And this girl, I would say, depending who you're talking to, kind of famous. Okay?
Starting point is 01:57:51 Okay. In her world, famous. Got it. And I'm like, now I've got to impress a friend that's kind of a friend, but not really. And then this girl, and I'm having to do material in a chat room, a text room for both people. And then so we take the text to our own space, and it's just her and I texting. And then it would be like, hey, whatever. And then she would just disappear.
Starting point is 01:58:14 I would send a message and she wouldn't respond for like three weeks. And she'd be like, you're still good? And I'm like, what? And I'd reply back and then she wouldn't respond for like two weeks. So you got ghosted on text. That's how you get ghosted. I thought it was like in person. Anyway, any of those ways.
Starting point is 01:58:28 You're out and then they're like, Irish goodbye. Well, no, that's not what a ghost is. Okay. Morgan number two, when you say ghosting is more so digital, like that's the first step because you never see them in person. Yeah, no, it's totally digital. I mean, I think, well, or organ donation. If someone ghosts you, they don't do it in person.
Starting point is 01:58:45 That's called leaving. Okay, see, I don't even know. Yeah, then we definitely didn't have ghosting because we didn't even really have texting back in the day. And I'll still get a text from her, like every few weeks. And it just says, you good? They're going like, what's up, how are you? And then I respond, and then I don't hear anything for weeks.
Starting point is 01:59:02 So I stopped responding. Well, so now you've ghosted her. I have done the ghost back. Yeah. We're ghosting each other. at the same time. No, but she started. But yeah, I've been ghosted. You started it. You've been ghosted Morgan number two?
Starting point is 01:59:16 Yeah. Recently? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. It doesn't feel good. I mean, I've probably done it too. That's why I'm not hating on it. Oh, so like in the seventh grade. Oh boy. This guy. Amy, being relatable to the ghosting story.
Starting point is 01:59:32 No, I'm just thinking back to like, so we talked on the phone, like the landline. and we were going to go do something for Fourth of July. I guess I was like maybe in eighth grade. I can't even believe my mom was letting me go do this, but he was a little bit older than me. And he told me that him and his friend had plans and that I would be invited. And then Fourth of July came,
Starting point is 01:59:52 and I never got the phone call with the plans. Ghosted. That's not ghosted. Yes, it is. Ramundo, I think we're going to be done with this segment now. All right. How you feel about that? Sounds good.
Starting point is 02:00:03 I didn't remember his name. What do you give it? What kind of great to give that last segment? No, that was A, because it was the ghosting talk, You threw in M2. She's digital and then old school, Amy. Yeah. Relatable.
Starting point is 02:00:13 And then the comedy, the guy getting attacked at the comedy club. Yeah. And we did the Dodge Ball update. Oh, that was all just now? It was all in one segment, right? What else we cover in that segment? Anything else? We give it a solid A minus?
Starting point is 02:00:24 Selina. All right. I want to talk about the iPhone for a second. Your iPhone could be hacked by a text. The holes in the new Apple software allows a hacker to take control of your phone by simply sending you a bugged message. of this six flaws found by the team, Apple has now patched five of them to protect yourself, simply update to the latest version of the operating system.
Starting point is 02:00:48 So if you get that, and I always go, you know what, let's do it tomorrow. And then you know what I do tomorrow? I'll click it again. Let's just do it tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, always. Four months later, let's just do it tomorrow. But you need to update your system to be taken over. If you open up the message that the cyber crook has sent, they then have access to your iPhone.
Starting point is 02:01:05 From there, they can copy files like your photos, messages, or bank details. This is not a commercial, by the way. I'm not about to go to lifelock.com slash bones. This is a real, a real news story. Apple urges their users to update to 12.4, the latest version. I don't know what version I'm on. 4.9. Probably.
Starting point is 02:01:24 I'm on 6.9. 69. It's a Bobby Bones show. You know Jed from Nashville that won the Bachelorette proposed. She said yes, and they broke up on the show? Yes. Turns out, as the news stories continue coming out, Jed Wyatt worked as a stripper for eight months.
Starting point is 02:01:41 Where? Among the many things Jed Wyatt failed to tell the bachelor at Hannah Brown before getting down on one knee as he worked as a male stripper in Nashville for almost eight months in 2018. At Music City Mail Review, you know, aka your Tuesday night. I don't know where that is. I didn't even know Nashville had one of those. The boy one? No, I'm not.
Starting point is 02:02:01 I thought those were only in Las Vegas. The boy ones? Under down under. Boy ones? Well, I mean, I've seen the deja vu. one here. That's right by work. Right.
Starting point is 02:02:11 Yeah, girls did that. I didn't know there was, yes, male ones. Jed 25 worked as an exotic dancer at Music City Mail Review in Nashville, Tennessee, which is the city's first and only male burlesque. He worked up for six to eight months. Wow, Magic Jed.
Starting point is 02:02:25 I had no idea. Yeah. Jumping Jed. Oh, I wonder what his name would be. Jumping. He explained how Jed did a bit of dancing while working for the company. What? That's so awkward.
Starting point is 02:02:36 I would take the, people are vilifying. him so much. I would take him on the show. I feel bad for him. It's a dumb reality show. People are acting like he contaminated the water. Yeah. Jed, you have an official invite right now to come on the show. If you don't come next week, we take it back. It expires? Yeah. But people are vilifying him a little too much in my mind. Oh, here's a picture of it. What, him dancing? Well, him without a shirt on and like jeans. They're like at the club? He's a great looking guy anyway. Like top 01% of guys. I said that even when he walked out and he was like, yeah, I was like, God, I just struck by how good looking you was.
Starting point is 02:03:15 I was so jealous. Makes me automatically not like him. And then I have to go stop judging people based on how good looking they are. Right. He's so good looking. Have I mentioned how good looking he is? You should probably say it again. Holy cow.
Starting point is 02:03:26 Lunchbox, what's your take on the Bachelorette situation right now? I think Jed looked bad. I mean, but when you're going into that show, I mean, I think he really thought. he was going to go there, get some publicity for his music. And it just kept moving and moving and moving. He's like, oh my God, this girl really likes me. I can't get cut. Like he was trying to get cut.
Starting point is 02:03:45 I felt like when he went to hometowns and his parents were like, yeah, I don't know if this is a good idea. And Hannah was just like, no, I love him. And he was just like, well, I guess I got to do what I got to do. Yeah, and you do get into that bubble. Because again, I was on a reality show. I did Dancing with the Stars. The whole world revolves around what you're doing every day with those people. I can see how you would just fall into something.
Starting point is 02:04:05 what do you think about the other guy now? I think he looks like an idiot. If he gets back with her, he looks like an absolute chump. Like she said, hey dude, we're dating, but I don't like you enough. I'm going to get engaged to this other guy. Oh, that engagement didn't work. Do you think you would still take me back? And he's like, yeah, I mean, I'd love to you.
Starting point is 02:04:25 Those feelings just don't go away. Crazy to me. Well, his move is if he's not picked as the next bachelor, to stay with her for a bit for press. That's the only way he stays in the news. news. Maybe he's that smart. What does he do? He looks good. He like takes pictures of his jawline. Oh, okay. That's what I would do. My career, I don't know if he had a career motive.
Starting point is 02:04:45 If he doesn't get the bachelor, he should be with her for a while, because he stays in the news if he does. But none of that stuff's real. His name is what Tyler C? Tyler something, yeah. Tyler Cameron. He's got a lot of followers on social media. Yeah, I've followed him. What is your problem? Follow him to the mail review. Is he working? All right.
Starting point is 02:05:01 Is that what that place was called? No. Michigan was like, I think my husband's trying to poison me. So she put hidden cameras in her kitchen and she caught him poisoning her coffee. How about that? That's scary and intense and how crazy
Starting point is 02:05:20 to find out someone's trying to kill you. A Michigan woman installed hidden cameras in her kitchen and caught her husband deliberately poisoning her coffee according to officials. She said, I was feeling tired, I was feeling nauseous. My vision was blurred. She's like, my husband keeps making my coffee and that's when I'm not feeling so good. She then became
Starting point is 02:05:36 suspicious and saw cameras in the kitchen. The cameras captured video of him pouring, I don't know, really long term into her coffee, some poisonous term, chemical. And multiple occasions intentionally poisoned her, according to authorities, 127 milliliters of dip henhydramine. That's the last cup of coffee. He's going to be sentenced. Wild, huh? I wonder what was going on there. Do you have another girl on the side?
Starting point is 02:06:02 Crazy. And he wants to... Our insurance? Life insurance. Yeah, that's too easy for. insurance though. The first thing you do if someone dies, autopsies, yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:11 Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. I would think he's probably got a side chick. It doesn't mean he's smart. True. But smart people get insurance. So now you're in that whole thing of like, you know.
Starting point is 02:06:22 Maybe he's just annoyed. Maybe he just had it. Tired of that nagging. He's just tired of her crap. Oh gosh. Sired of her voice. Colleen, that's so awful. Start projecting their thoughts and their wives under this guy.
Starting point is 02:06:35 I mean, God. Yeah, sucks. A teacher gets drunk at prom and try to to fight the principal. There's always the one kid who gets too drunk, but this time it was a teacher. A teacher and a principal, wouldn't that be awesome if you had your phone?
Starting point is 02:06:49 As a kid, not now. As an adult, it's not cool. You don't want that to happen. But we don't often hear about teachers who get trashed at prom. A teacher who got drunk at the end of the school year and said he's going to knock out the principal. Wow.
Starting point is 02:07:03 Like, as a kid, if I were to hear the story, be like, wow, that's so crazy. I can't believe that that actually. happens or a teacher was drinking at a but now that we're adults and I know people that are teachers I'm like I can see them wanting to drink before they go. I know right yeah like it doesn't seem that's every
Starting point is 02:07:19 profession when you were an adult are like I seem to know yeah two skydivers in Illinois collided in midair one of them was knocked unconscious oh my gosh but because of modern parachutes it saved his life they're both okay so was it they hit and one of them's out
Starting point is 02:07:35 then how did they get the string pulled Well, like I said, these parachutes now that will kind of pop out themselves. Hundreds of skydivers head out to the Summerfest Skydiving Festival. It's in Ottawa, and so they were both experienced skydivers. One of them was
Starting point is 02:07:52 knocked unconscious, but he was wearing an automated activation device inside of the parachute pack. It's just a device that measures how fast the person is falling and the altitude they're at. Which is wild, but when I did Bear Girls, we didn't skydive, but he was talking about we did some high height stuff, like really high. But he was like when we skydive,
Starting point is 02:08:08 you have to like bend your back a certain way so it doesn't so you land you fall the right direction like you have to like spread your arms and your legs and then arch your back like if you were sticking your pelvis forward right it's like you have to do that
Starting point is 02:08:22 obviously this guy couldn't do that but the device activated his shoot and saved his life imagine when you hit the ground though like your limp body oh just land better than it landing without a parachute oh I get that that's a little more violent how scary
Starting point is 02:08:36 The Bobby Bone Show You're familiar with Blink 182, right? Oh, yeah. All the small things. Thank you. Travis Barker, who's the drummer of Blink 122, says that the Echosmith drummer hit on his daughter. Now, you think, all right, how old's Travis Barker's daughter?
Starting point is 02:09:03 She's 13. Do we have any clip of Echo Smith? Yeah, I don't remember that. Yeah. Barker's daughter, whose name is Alabama, posted Instagram screenshots of alleged direct messages she received from 20-year-old Graham Siriota who drums for the band. Mostly, he just tries to say hello but gets no response.
Starting point is 02:09:26 And then eventually says, by the way, I'm Graham from Echo Smith, and I think you're beautiful. Oh, awkward. And does he know she's 13? I don't know. Even though Alabama, being a smart kid, responded with, you're like 40. You understand that I'm a child. Travis stepped in and went public. Ooh, yikes.
Starting point is 02:09:44 That sucks. all that sucks. Sucks for the kids. Sucks for Travis Barker, sucks for the Echosmith dude. That's not good. We're going to go home. Amy, what's going on today in your life? Oh man. Getting in a good workout and then visiting assisted living places. For your dad. Yeah. But you know that. Yeah. I mean, you know, we can talk about that tomorrow. I know that I'm doing that today today. But yeah. It's a bit of a struggle for you. Yes. But not in the way that you'd expect. I mean, I think from talking with you about it, you know it's a good, like, positive thing. It could be.
Starting point is 02:10:17 I mean, he still could maybe live with us, but yeah, you know, we'll see. What are you up to? A couple things. I have, I'm hiring someone to, like, I have interviews up here today for a job that's not really on this show, but kind of. Chipotle's catering a lunch because Eddie said they were overrated. You're welcome? We'll see about that.
