The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show.
Got a lot of feedback on the segment we did yesterday about the American dream where you had a story about the American dream and if it's still happening and if people believe in it and I do believe in it and I use the example closest to me, which is me, which I didn't have any sort of resources or advantage and was able to kind of get to where I am now and I hope that inspires people to feel the same.
A lot of people were commenting too, you know, many times in our life they're told they can't do something.
You know who I find tells people they can't do something?
people that can't do it themselves.
Do you know what that means? Does that make sense?
Yeah.
The people that are always saying, no, that's not possible,
or the people that either are too lazy to try it or tried it and didn't do it.
You know, you never see people that are doing something at a high level
or doing something that they love, tell others, no, probably not going to work.
That's just a rare thing.
Like, I'm never going to tell you you can't do something.
I don't care what it is.
I think even if you, you know, the example I used yesterday was dunk in a basketball
and your four foot two.
Yeah, you'll never do it like
normal NBA players do, but get a trampoline.
Find another way to do it.
You can still do it.
Anyway, I thought there were a lot of comments on that.
I thought we were hearing from a lot of folks.
Pretty good one, huh, Morgan?
Yeah, I got a lot of engagement on our Instagram page.
And isn't that the goal, engagement?
I rarely look at that stuff, but that one popped up on my feet.
Is that what Instagram does?
The more you get engagement, the more it shows people then?
Yes.
So the more your little world likes it, the more that other little worlds get to see it.
And if they like it, more people...
Yeah, and so like, if you see that Explorer tab, so when a video or pictures really liked,
it'll start showing up there more for other people in the hopes that they will come and like your page.
Dang.
Look at that.
Caroline Hobby's on right now.
A friend of ours, friend of Amy.
She has a podcast called Get Real with Caroline Hobby.
I actually texted her and I was like, hey, your podcast is crushing it.
She does such a great job on this podcast.
I wanted to bring her on. Caroline, what in the world's happening on your podcast right now that people are so into?
Well, you know, I think consistently the theme of my podcast is just sharing really great stories from awesome people, specifically women.
I've been highlighting a lot of awesome black women right now in the middle of all this movement that's happening and just kind of diving into what's going on in the world and having really thoughtful conversations.
and it's been amazing.
And then I've also continued just having conversations in general with Wides of Country Artist.
And my last podcast, I had Alex and Drake White on, and that was an incredible episode
because Drake suffered from a stroke in the middle of performing, and he almost died.
And we just kind of relived that night in their journey and how they've gotten closer together
and been so, gotten so close to God and had.
actual encounters with God, and it was just a really awesome episode.
How's he doing now?
He's doing great. He's still recovering. He couldn't feel his whole left side of his body,
and there's a chance he would never walk again, and he just believed through prayer
and determination that he was going to, and he's exceeded all of his doctor's expectations for
him. He's walking on his own. He's starting to perform again. And it's just amazing. One of
the stories that they shared was Alex.
his wife was praying for angels to watch over him.
And she was like, I'm praying for an angel in this corner of his hospital room and this corner of
his hospital room and this corner of his hospital room and she just prayed to have these angels
in his room.
And Drake kind of woke up from his delirious state while he was in the hospital.
And he said he saw all these angels in the room just watching over him standing there.
And he had no idea that Alex was praying for him.
And he told her like a month and a half later.
And it was just like, he couldn't believe.
Well, they could believe that it.
happened, but to actually have this physical proof that God was in his recovery and was with him
the whole time. It was just really inspiring. But he's doing great. He's really, really doing great.
Well, you can listen to this. Dang. It's why people are checking it out so much. It's called Get Real,
G-E-T-Real. Get Real with Caroline Hobby. You know what? There's a story, Caroline, while I have you
here, there was a story about if your baby resembles the dad, that's a good thing. And I see your baby
all the time on Instagram. I know. I'm obsessed. Sorry. No, no. I don't mean that.
too much. I mean, that's how I actually know. Listen, I feel like I still kind of know you and see you
because I get to see your Instagram. You know, there's this weird thing where we, like some of my
friends, I haven't seen in three or four years and haven't even talked to them. But I texted one the
other day. I was like, hey, man, it's been forever. And he's like, you know what? It doesn't feel
like that with you because I listen to you all the time. So the same way I see her and her kid.
Yeah. But the story is babies who look like their dads are physically healthier. Is your,
does your baby, do you think it looks like your dad? Yes. Oh, not her dad. It's dad. No,
Her baby's dad.
Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
Michael, she looks just like Michael.
They're a little twin.
Yeah.
Researchers found that if a kid looks like the dad at a young age, they're more prone to spend more time and feel emotionally closer to them, the dads are.
I guess dads are weird.
They want to be with people who look like them.
The kids are more active.
On and on, they say if the baby looks like the dad, they're healthier, which is kind of a weird thing.
Oh.
Because if it were a girl, I wanted to like the mom.
Yeah.
Well, I always said Michael would make a beautiful female
Are they putting out a new song Friday?
Thousand Horses?
Yes, they're putting out a new song, a song to remember.
It's hitting radio, so I hope you guys love it.
You will.
It's so good.
And everyone needs to call and request it.
That's not a thing anymore.
Oh, it isn't?
No.
Oh.
So what did you people do?
How do people get songs?
I have no idea, but it's not calling and requesting songs anymore.
Yeah, that died a couple years ago.
shoot.
Shoot.
She's been calling all the stations.
I'm just letting you know that, you know.
Caroline, you can stop calling.
As a sidebar,
ain't nobody playing a song
because someone's calling to request it.
Okay, well, everyone should.
You can tweet.
Yeah, all that.
Like, it's just about making people notice it
to give it a shot.
But it's not about calling a radio station anymore.
Just because most, I would say almost all
people on the radio, not us. We do a talk show for the most part. And I don't even, I don't even
program music. I can. I can stick a couple songs in if I want. They don't really tell me. I mean,
you should stick it in there and see what people said. Relax. Also, funny comment, but
I forgot my point. She said you should stick it in there. Say people say,
I mean, you can, I didn't mean like, you don't program. You can throw stuff in. I can
throw stuff in if I want to. Yes, I don't even, like, they pick music based on research. They
talk to thousands of people
all the time and they go, what about this
song? What about this song? And people go,
never heard it, but like it, or I've heard it, like,
you know, there's all this stuff and it comes through research.
But it's getting people, like, I'm sure
we'll probably feature it on the countdown or something at some point.
I think we did one recently too.
Because y'all are the best and awesome.
That's true. I can't argue with that.
I know people want me to.
Hey, speaking
of feeling like you know people through Instagram,
I feel like I know Caitlin so well
and she's the cutest thing ever
in the world. Y'all have the
hugest relationship. I agree. Again, what am I going to say? I agree. And I, you know,
and I would also say you don't get to see all the behind the scenes because behind the scenes is,
you know, the real life part of it. But no, you're seeing it all. It's perfect. Just like that.
Every part of it. Like living in the dream. I've never seen it. I've never seen anyone who can
spell words, front words, and backwards. It is bizarre because you can say any word to her.
And she sees it like it's written on a screen in front of her. And she can read it. If she knows how
spell a front word, she can read it front word or backward. It is, and I thought to her,
why did you never tell me this? And then I showed her the talent that I have that I never shared
it to her. My thumb's double jointed. Mine's wasn't as cool as her. My thumb's double jointed.
She was like, that's stupid. Okay. I was like, well, sorry mine's not as good as yours is.
But look, like my thumb, watch. Ready? Watch, watch, boom, boom. Oh. The bone that pops out of it.
No, that's not it. Am I doing it too? No, you're not. Okay, listen, check out and get real with
Caroline Hobby. Anything else going on in your life, Caroline?
I think you named it. Raising a baby. A Thousand Horses,
but now a single that you love so much. I've never heard it. No, I've never heard it.
Well, you need to hear it. I will wait until, no, I don't want it. I don't take music early.
Period. Okay, okay. Okay. So, but I would... Okay, I'll respect the rules.
I'll check it out Friday. She was just assuming you love it.
No, no, but she knows I don't listen to music early. And I think we're close enough.
Caroline and I are
Are that she
Okay
Oh my goodness
Okay let her finish
Talking about what's going on in her life
This is the Caroline
Oh Caroline I got your text
And I've been meaning to reply
So I'll text you back after this
Well because that text has to do
With my next podcast
Which will be the lovely Amy Brown
Oh yeah
Yeah
Do you say your last name?
Sorry radio Amy
No no Amy Brown
What if that's how you address yourself
to everybody Radio Amy
You used to I guess you used to have to
I had to kind of because
I think you should change your Instagram.
To what?
If you could get something distinctly you.
You mean to Amy Brown?
But there's a million Amy Brown.
You would never get that.
I know.
And there's, so like for my podcast stuff, I have created a website
because there's just a way to streamline stuff that I'm talking about and show stuff.
And so it's RadioAmy.com because Amybrown.com was taken by like some fairy artist.
Well, there are two things you can try to do.
One, you can try to buy it from people, right?
or two, you can find another specific.
Because I don't just see you as the radio person anymore.
Oh, look, I just typed Amy Brown into Instagram,
and there are the fairy artists popped up.
They may not sell it.
How many followers do they have?
27,000?
They're probably not going to sell it.
Oh, I know.
But you could be like Amy Brown cares.
That's not it.
That's not it.
I just don't.
She does, but I just don't think Radio Amy is you anymore.
because I don't think you're just a radio person.
I think you're so much more than that.
And this is a massive part about what you do,
but I don't think it's just that.
But that doesn't a burp?
Yeah.
Just a mid, burp in midship?
No, nobody burped?
Oh.
Oh, of course not.
Maybe I can get Amy underscore.
No underscores.
No underscores.
I know.
Oh, there's an Amy Brown 69.
What about Amy Brown rocks?
No.
No.
No.
I'm embarrassing.
if I was like sharing my Instagram with somebody.
No, no, no. Thank you, Caroline.
Oh, what about, what about sweet Amy Brown?
Because you're so sweet.
Nope, because sometimes I'm not.
What about if you lost a bet?
I got to pick it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know the bet.
But Amy lost a bet once.
She was like my face tattooed on her.
She never did.
It was, nope, wasn't fair.
Bobby acted like he wasn't going to go to Haiti.
Meanwhile, he made the bet probably when he had his plane tickets booked.
I didn't even know it.
But that was never a rule that it couldn't have.
already been booked.
Yeah, like, because why in the world?
If you're going to play the game, know the rules.
All right.
I mean, but like, to get a face tattooed on you to lose, that's, I hope that that, that was
really worth it.
That's a big bet right there.
But she made the bet, made the statement, and didn't follow through.
I still haven't forgiven you.
I still haven't forgiven you for going to Haiti without me.
I went to Haiti without you because you said you weren't going, you couldn't go anymore.
You said, I can't go back and see my kids there because when I leave them, it's so sad.
But if you would have gone, I would have gone.
You went without me.
But you told me that you couldn't go and I wanted to go and see where they
were living before they came here.
I'm tired of this.
I'm out of here.
Show's over.
Y'all got a lot of good history going on here.
I like it.
All right.
Listen, check out, Get Real with Caroline Hobby.
Caroline, thank you.
Love the podcast.
People are loving it.
I saw her, I didn't, we won't say it here, but I saw her streams and downloads.
And I was like, holy crap, look at you.
Grow on this little thing.
Well, I was glad you texted me that because I don't always know how it's doing.
Well, it's doing great.
You're doing great work over there.
Great.
All right.
Well, it's because I'm partnered up on your network, Bobby.
I got the magic touch going on.
What is your Instagram name so people can follow you?
Just Carol Hobby?
Yep. C-A-R-O-H-O-B-B-Y.
All right, there she is.
My friend in yours, Caroline, hobby.
All right, Caroline, thank you.
Thank you.
All right, bye-bye.
You're driving me crazy as I can't get on my Netflix.
Every time I can get in, but I have to log in every time.
And it's stupid having to log in with a remote.
Your email.
Yeah.
Every day I log in it, and I always put click save it, it never saves.
I don't know what the problem is.
You should get that fixed.
The peacock launched.
I saw it, yeah.
I'm doing like reads for that.
It seems really cool.
It's free.
I'm going to be watching it.
It's a new network.
It's free.
I think you have to get commercials,
but who cares?
It's free.
Yeah.
There's lots of things on there.
What was it that was so good
that's so popular right now?
Yellowstone on it.
You can get Yellowstone.
That's why you couldn't get
to other places because it's on peacock
and it's free now.
Yep.
Not a commercial, by the way.
Didn't even know you were doing stuff for them.
Yeah.
But did I?
I have no idea.
I'm not, I think I'm just doing it out of the kindness of my heart.
I'm just a fan.
I don't think you are.
Peacog.
All right.
Here you go.
Here's today's show.
Appreciate you guys.

Hey, guys.
Welcome to Thursday show.
More in the studio.
Morning.
Today I'll be fun.
Craig Campbell.
coming up in like 30 minutes.
He got bit by a brown recluse.
Like you.
Yeah.
And mine was okay to not good.
His is terrible.
Like it bit him and it is,
it looks like it's growing.
So we'll talk to Craig Campbell.
He's got those songs like,
I bet you Ray has him instead of me singing him.
Here's this one.
I can't imagine doing nothing but what I'm doing.
Just laying around tangled up with you.
So he's going to come up this hour.
And then later on on the show,
we'll talk to a guy who's set like 150 world records.
We'll get to that.
My arm is sore today.
I was just talking to Amy about it before the show started.
I had to give blood yesterday, a lot of blood.
And I haven't talked about what's been happening with me
because I don't want anybody to freak out until I get all the results in.
It ain't good, but it may not be as bad as it would sound if I said what was happening.
Would you agree with that?
Agree.
Because if I say what they're telling me it could be, everybody's going to freak out.
But I don't know that it is that.
So, but I had to go give a bunch of blood yesterday.
And obviously if you go to the doctor's office, you have to wear a mask.
And I get there and they check you in.
You walk in, you open the door and there's someone sitting at a desk right when you walk in.
She's very nice.
She's got a mask on.
She's got a little temperature gun.
And she's like, have you been exposed to anyone that has COVID?
First, I think about Eddie.
Now, I haven't seen Eddie.
He's not here today.
We're waiting to see if you got a result.
We'll find out later today.
And I'm like, no.
That's fair, right?
Yeah, fair.
I don't think so.
So, no, I haven't.
She's do have any symptoms.
I do not.
She does my temperature.
Boop, 97.1.
So nailed that part.
And I'm about to walk through.
And I hear a guy like, what?
He's trying to get into the doctor not wearing a mask.
Oh, my gosh.
And she's like, so you have to wear a mask.
He's like, it's my God-given right to not wear a mask.
And she's like, we can't let you in unless you're wearing a mask.
And he's like, you're going to tell me as an American.
Oh, my gosh.
And all I'm thinking of myself is, you're at a private establishment.
You have to wear your shirt, too.
If they say they're not going to serve you, if you're not wearing a shirt or shoes.
Dude, does anyone ever walk up to a restaurant and go, dang it, I'm an American, I'm not wearing my shirt or shoes and I demand service.
No.
You're telling me I can't hear naked as an American.
It's a private place.
And if they tell you that you have to come in an eye patch or they're not going to, then you do.
You have to wear a mask.
I'm a big mask guy, anyway, but I'm not even talking about that.
I'm just talking about this guy, Raising Heck, because he didn't want to wear.
And it's also the doctor.
Yeah, you're in a place where there were a lot of sick people.
Yeah.
I'm going, what is happening with folks right now?
But I got through and...
I saw something that like people that don't understand.
People are going crazy.
Like, it's something like maybe they're...
I'm also like, do you wear your seatbelt?
Because the government's telling you to wear your seatbelt.
That's a law.
Do you ever stand up and go, I ain't wearing my seatbelt?
No.
Go ahead.
I'm sorry.
Well, I don't know.
Now I'm paraphrasing and now I don't even know if it's really true
because maybe my personal wonder about them.
But, like, maybe their brain didn't fully develop or something.
Like, I saw something about people that can't.
No, no, no, no, no.
That they literally cannot take the information and receive.
Like, something's wrong with, like, they're not able to be able to be able to.
I don't think every anti-masker has a brain deficiency.
I'm not saying that.
No, I didn't say, I'm not saying that.
I'm saying I read something, but I myself wonder.
What is wrong with somebody?
What is wrong with somebody?
read something would be what everybody else is doing too.
But now...
I read something.
You don't get as much oxygen.
But I said, but I'm saying as I repeat it back, I wonder this myself.
Because, yeah, you're at a private establishment.
I'm saying, like, in your own time, do whatever you want.
But if you're going into a public place, you're going to be around people.
I don't understand why you're arguing the fact that you have to wear a mask.
That doesn't...
Wear it.
Be bitter about it.
Do whatever.
But wear it.
The fact that you're arguing it, that's the part that doesn't make sense to me.
The pandemic will be over and...
six weeks everyone would just wear a mask.
I saw that too, the head of the CDC.
I posted it on my Twitter too.
And he's up to, he's going, guys,
you want us to be over?
Like, mask it up.
Obviously, I'm a big proponent of the mask.
Now, I also, I grew up in rural America,
and I understand there are some places you go
there just aren't people.
I don't think you have to wear a mask
all the time, every time everywhere you go.
Don't get me wrong.
Agree.
The director of the CDC says America
could end the pandemic in four to six weeks.
If everybody just put on a face covering,
Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of the CDC, says America could end the pandemic.
Here, here.
Four to six weeks, that's it.
But it's too much to ask.
Anyway.
I mean, we're American, too.
Yeah.
Anyway, I was just shocked that someone at the doctor would do that.
Right.
And then when people were like, because Walmart was the last place to go, okay, last major retailer to go, masks only.
People were getting upset.
They're like, well, we're not going to wear a mask.
But if it's a private place, they can tell you, it's like, if you come into my house and I say, hey, take your shoes off, it's my house.
you come in, you take a shoe.
I don't say that, by the way.
That's only fancy people did that growing up.
But if I say that, then you take your shoes off.
I want to be a no shoe house.
I just never been able to do it.
I just am too lazy to do it myself.
Me too, but I really, it's the people that can pull it off.
I'm like, well done.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we'll do Craig Campbell, got a bit by Spider.
We'll do the Guinness record, which, by the way,
he set this record for bopping balloons up in the air for an hour and a half.
But he also is the guy that drank all the lime juice that we tried on the show,
the lemon juice, whatever.
Eddie will be on.
We'll see if he got his COVID results.
here are some listeners
because Eddie said he was feeling better
but he lost all the smell.
Grant said,
I had the same symptoms
and tested positive,
pretty sure he's got it.
Denise said,
I live near Destin, Florida.
In my opinion,
there ain't no social distancing.
Everyone's near a beach.
It's way too crowded.
Tammy says, I mean,
he went to Florida.
One of the highest states for cases,
eye roll emoji.
Renee says sinus infections.
That's a good way to hide corona.
Many people have tested positive
after thinking it was sinuses.
So a lot of people think Eddie has.
I got it. Eddie has it.
So, this woman stranded on the side of the road near Gainesville, Florida.
Her tie...
You ever had a tire blowout?
Yeah.
It's crazy.
It feels like a helicopter flying over you.
That's what I thought.
I know exactly where I was when it happened to me.
It's only happened to me once.
Me too.
I was in the Hot Springs Village.
I was going...
And I was like, why is the helicopter over the top of me in Hot Springs Village?
And I looked out of my window like a dope.
And, you know, you turn your head.
I was like, where's the helicopter?
Yeah.
I had the same exact thing.
I was going down Mopac in Austin and thought...
Why is there a helicopter so close to me?
A woman was stranded on the side of the road and
somebody pulls up to help her and it's Shaq.
No way.
Shaquille O'Neal.
Yeah, so Shaq stopped on the side of the road and stayed with her until the police arrived.
And then when they did, Shaq fist bumped them.
That's cool.
The county sheriff's office posted dash cam footage of their officers pulling up and
Shaq is there to greet them.
Here's a clip of the dash cam footage.
Now the audio is a little scratchy, but you hear the sheriff talking to Shaq.
All right?
You know that cop was like, what is happening?
Both of them, the woman and the cop had to be like, what is happening here?
If you're the cop, do you ask for an autograph?
Yes, I think it's okay in that situation.
Okay, I was going to ask you that.
I think it's okay because he's not hurt and nobody was hurt.
Nobody was hurt.
I don't think that's bad to ask.
I think if Shaq had the flat, you don't do it then.
He pulled over on his own.
I don't think that's bad to ask for a selfie there.
It's tough.
COVID, though, depending how close.
Maybe a distanced one.
You don't even need a jack.
Just have Shaq pick up the car and you stick the tire on.
Isn't that crazy, though?
Like, she had to be freaked out.
They had to be freaked out.
Shaq's huge.
And it's like, hey, because he talks like that too?
Yeah, even through the muffled audio, you can totally tell it's him.
And he's massive.
Here's a cool story about another celebrity.
There was a piano on the sidewalk.
Someone threw it out because it was an old beat-up piano.
And Billy Joel was walking down that street.
and he gets on it and plays.
It's in Long Island.
The video's being shared.
Here you go.
This is Billy Joel
singing an upright piano.
Someone was throwing away,
so he tested it out.
He was pretty impressed.
This is him inspecting the piano.
It's a perfectly good piano.
It's a shame to throw it out.
Pettles work.
Fettles work.
The action is great.
The mechanics are perfect.
So this is Billy Joel
playing a random piano
performing on the street.
If you were to see this,
here we go,
there's no way that's Billy Joel
playing a broken piano.
move along, right?
I mean, yow, and then you're also like,
honey, go get the truck. Let's take this piano, you know?
Here's the guy filming himself quitting his job.
He calls his boss a beep.
Is this an epic way to quit a job, or is he just being a gober?
Here you go.
Hey, Sandy?
Yes.
I quit.
You're for talking to marry the way you have and been treating us.
So I'm out. Good luck.
Okay.
Thank you.
What do you think about that?
I mean, it sounds lame.
Sounds lame.
I'm not impressed.
I wouldn't do that.
And I would just think, just thinking about it practically,
someone's going to struggle with hiring him for that,
if they see that at a next job.
You think it's funny?
I think it's hilarious.
I've always had dreams of quitting a job in fantastic fashion.
I mean, I wish you to flip the table or something,
but hey, you've got to let it out.
You're frustrated and you've got to let him know why you're quitting.
And he let him know.
And I think all that's fine, but to record.
it and then post it is the thing that I would be, again, if I were his next employer, I'd be like,
hey, what happened is your last job? Well, I quit. Well, I'm going to call him as a reference.
What do you think they're going to say? He filmed it and put us on the internet.
Yeah. Like, even as I was trying, I instantly go with, okay, what if I was dating that guy
or that was my husband and he came home and was like, look what I did today. I'd be like,
I'm embarrassed to be with you right now. That's what I would feel like.
On the Bobby Bones show now.
Craig Campbell.
I want to play a couple of Craig Campbell clips before we get him on, because man, he just got nail with a spider.
Here is Keithem Kisses coming.
And then Outskirts of Heaven.
Here's this one.
Outskirts of Heaven.
He's on now.
Craig Campbell.
Hey, so Craig, I got bit by a brown recluse about a week ago, and I was talking to my audience about it.
and I'll get back to me in a second, but then I pull up your Instagram.
You got nailed by one, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah, about a month and a half ago, I woke up on a Saturday morning with a what felt like a bruise on the back of my arm
and decided to watch it for a little bit.
And then the next day it got a little worse.
So I ended up going to the walk-in clinic.
And at that time, didn't know what it was, but they went ahead and put me on antibiotics.
I'm glad I started the antibiotics that soon.
But yeah, he got me good.
You know, I was in Missouri.
We went up there to go fishing for a couple days.
And for me, I thought for a second it was an ingrown hair.
Something was weird happening because it was right on my shorts line.
And I was like, what's happening?
And then it just kept bubbling.
And I don't know what yours looked like at first.
And I posted a picture of mine online.
It was this big red.
It looked like, and I know people, it's early in the morning.
People are going to hear this.
But it was a big bubble filled with like blood and pus.
And I was like, I don't know what's happening.
And so then same thing.
got a doctor on, and he was like, oh, you just got bit by a brown recluse.
And then as it popped, there was like a hole there.
How big is your hole in the back of your arm right now?
Well, the crazy thing is I never got the, and that's what was confusing me early on,
was I didn't have those distinctive puncture wounds.
But at the moment, the biggest part is probably about the size of a quarter.
That's crazy that it's that big, because mine is not that big.
mine is, you know,
to put two fingers together
and do about an inch, and that's about what it is.
But I got lucky at mine,
because it definitely could have hit the jewels.
The spider picked about six inches from the jewels.
Imagine if we got bit by a brown reclose
right on our peep-haul.
That would be terrible.
That would be absolutely terrible.
Where were you, though, when you think you got bit?
Honestly, at first I thought it might have been out
where my shop behind the house,
you know, because I never remember it happening, but then we were advised to put down some sticky
traps around some areas in our house, and sure enough, right here in the bedroom, after the first night,
we had two, we caught two brown recluses on these sticky traps right by our bed.
So I'm thinking it happened in the middle of the night while we were in bed.
You guys got to see this. If you go to Craig's Instagram at Craig Campbell TV, it's day 45,
That's the latest picture that I've seen you post on that.
But they tell you it's going to be like a couple-month process or what?
The guy that I've been consulting with, he's a trauma surgeon,
but he's been relaying some of my pictures to some of his dermatology friends.
And they say, yeah, the brown recluse from start-to-minute is about a three-month, a 90-day process.
Let me look at mine again.
I'm like, mine is, again, it's just like a little rotted hole.
But mine doesn't look anything like Craig's.
Craig, you could say yours was a bear.
Like, you just go and act like something big attacked you.
It's rough.
You know, for the longest time, I always thought brown recluse bites were like urban legends.
Because I didn't know anybody that had ever been bitten or, you know, never seen one in person.
But absolutely not.
This is a real deal.
Yeah, I can agree with that.
And mine's not even as bad as yours.
Craig Campbell's on with us now.
Hey, I do want to play some of this.
This is Craig's new song called Flying My Country Flag.
Let me play some of this real quick.
Craig, tell me about this song.
What's the idea here?
I mean, I think I know, but tell me anyway.
Well, we wrote it back in 2014.
I was sitting there with Ben Hathcliffe and Michael Carter,
and we were talking about, you know,
there were some people complaining about where country music was headed
and where it had been and, you know, the brother country thing and the pop country.
And I said, well, I can't do any of that.
you know, I'm a country singer, and I'm just going to stay in my lane.
And Ben said, you just keep doing what you're doing because country music is coming back.
And I said, well, when it does, I'll be right here waving my country flag.
And he said, oh, my God, that's our title.
And that's kind of where that song came from.
Man, you guys check it out.
It's called Flying My Country Flag.
I'm a big Craig Campbell fan.
Although, if I can pick a beef real quick with you, I am not a fan of shaking hands.
have been. I'm talking about not even Corona. I never thought that we should be taking our
dirty hands and touching other people's dirty hands. Again, I'm not ahead on most things,
but I have been begging people to stop shaking hands for most of my life. And then I see Craig Campbell
post a shirt that goes, I still shake hands. And I feel like you hurt what I'm shooting for here,
Craig. We've got to eliminate all handshakes. Well, the only, the only reason I had that shirt
made was because I had been at a, I don't know where I was, at a function with friends and
whatnot. And it was just an awkward, do we shake hands? Do we, do we not? Do we, do we, do we,
just look at each other? And I just, you know, I was like, hey, I'm, I'm okay with shaking
hands still. So, I mean, it's, so, and that's just for me. I don't, I don't, I don't, I'm not
mad if somebody don't want to. It doesn't hurt my feelings. And I'm not, you know, I'm not, I get it.
Hey, if it would say I still shake hands parentheses, but I disinfect immediately after, then I'll be like, that's my guy right there.
I will modify it.
All right.
Hey, Craig, good to talk to you.
I hope you get healthy.
It sounds like you're doing all right.
Go check out Craig's Instagram at Craig Campbell TV to see his brown recluse bite.
We're in the club together.
You know, not a lot of guys like us can take this and live, Craig.
I'm just telling you, we're pretty tough.
We are tough.
All right.
Check out flying my country flag.
All right, Craig, good to talk to you.
Talk to you soon, bud.
Man, I appreciate you.
See you.
All right, see you, Craig.

It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
If you're in New York City walking around and you start seeing random
fridges on the sidewalk to say free food, you can thank Thadius.
He saw a free refrigerator on Craigslist.
And he was like, huh, what can I do with that?
He got it, put it outside his building.
And whenever he had leftover food, he just stuck it in the fridge and said free food.
And now there's 15 locations throughout the city where people can get
free food. Wow. Also cool of the city to leave that up.
Uh-huh. Yeah. To let them keep it there. Yeah. So people with like community gardens, they put
fruits and vegetables in there and whenever you have a family meal and you have leftovers,
you just stick it in there and people come get it for free. Is it for leftovers even if you
already ate off of them? It says it can be leftovers or if you bought, you know, two meals
and you want to put one in the fridge. You do that just to give it away. Hey, great idea. Man,
that's what it's all about right there. That was tell me something good. Lobby Bone Show.
This story comes to us from Plymouth, England.
A 26-year-old man is facing six months in jail and a $9,000 fine after he was eating at McDonald's other day when a bird came down and tried to get his burger.
So he grabbed the seagull and bit the seagull.
But I don't understand why he's being fined.
Because he injured a wild animal.
Because you can't bite a bird.
He may have thought the bird was trying to attack him.
Oh, just because it's a wild or is it?
The cops arrested the guy for injuring a wild.
wild bird. Oh, I thought it was
endangered. You know, I would think if you can bite a
seagull more power to you. If you can catch him, bite it,
have at it.
What if you're hungry? Oh, he probably
didn't have a hunting license.
Right, we can't go around hurting wild
animals. Crazy, he grabbed it and bid it. Was he on something?
Nope, he was just eating his McDonald's and the guy, the bird
trying to take his burger.
I'll be irritated too, though.
There's a bird at my house. There's a
something died on the street.
and there were like three vultures
that were just chilling
you ever see a vulture up close
No
I mean I don't know I think I've seen it swarming
But not up close
They are ugly birds
So I grabbed it right a bit it
And it?
You know what I saw in Colorado
A bald eagle
Two of them
Yeah two of them live close
They have these their nests are huge
We hiked up to where their nests are
They're ginormous
And then they were flying around and their wings fan.
They're so beautiful when they fly.
Made me think of them when you said vultures were ugly
because I was like, wow, bald eagles are really pretty.
I was watching a video on Reddit of a cat who was sitting in Colorado on a porch,
just sitting on like the rail of a porch.
And a bald eagle comes in, boom, lands right by the cat.
And this cat, who was tiny cat, was having none of it.
Just jumped on the bald eagle.
And the eagle was like, I'm out of here and flew off.
And the eagle was huge.
It was awesome.
It was also cool that cat was taking a cat.
crap. All right, lunchbox. I'm lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day.

Eddie's on
Eddie's not here again today
we're still waiting for that COVID test result
I don't know if he has it by the way
so we're going to find out together
has the result
so I don't know
Eddie there
I'm here man what's up
Eddie and I were talking on FaceTime yesterday
and I was kind of just checking in with him off the show
I was like hey man how are you feeling
he was upset at lunchbox for that prank call
yeah
yeah I was
because lunchbox prank called him and had one of his friends
who was a nurse tell Eddie he had
at it. And so I was like, we didn't play the whole thing because I thought, eh.
Like it had been funny if she'd have been like, sorry, are you growing a tail?
Like, really walked him down a funny place. It was a little too on the nose.
Yeah.
But, and then lunchboxed call back. And like, oh, you're so stupid. You believed you had COVID.
Even though he's waiting for a nurse to call him.
He's like, of course I thought I had to. Yeah. See, he's laughing now. He thinks it's funny.
No, it's not funny. It's dumb.
Okay, so first off, I don't know if you have your result back or not. Do you know,
if you have COVID or not?
I do not know.
You still don't have it?
I have not got an email.
I have not gotten a phone call.
So the results have not been in yet.
Are you looking at your phone if it says possibly spam?
Are you answering those calls, though?
I'm answering everything.
How do you think lunchbox got me?
Also in your email, like check your junk mail or whatever?
Well, there's an email and there's also a medical portal
where it's supposed to automatically refresh.
comes in and I just been looking at it.
So he feels good, right, Eddie?
I feel great, man. Last night
I kind of had a little bit of sinus pressure again,
but the body aches and all that, that's all gone.
However, the smell, that was the big thing yesterday,
he does not have smell. What do you think?
Eddie, can you smell things again?
I still cannot smell anything.
That's, if it was just a sinus, I think it would be back.
Yeah, I just think that, especially of other symptoms,
I don't know.
Can you taste anything?
Yes.
Yeah.
I just had a, I just drank some of that airborne stuff.
You know, that vitamin C stuff, tastes it just fine.
So some people just lose smell, but they don't lose taste.
I don't know.
I would assume it's different for everybody, period.
Well, we know that much, so I guess that was dumb of me and Haas, but.
Well, we're still here.
We don't have a result yet.
I did wake up at like 3.30 this morning before I came into the show, and I left my TV on where I was playing 2K20, the basketball game, and Eddie was still on.
I'm just grinding away playing basketball.
What?
No, no, no, no.
I think I left it on.
No, come on.
You're in a room.
Your wife and kids, are they leaving stuff at your door?
Yeah, oh yeah.
My wife comes in with a mask probably three times a day to come give me food and see how I'm doing.
And we chat.
And me and the boys, we talk to the door.
But you can do anything.
You can eat.
You can watch TV.
You can play video games.
Like, this has got to be, you don't have to work.
It's got to be amazing for you.
I mean, it's, I feel like it would be better about a single and I can have the whole house to myself.
But literally, I'm just in my bedroom.
It's like a little prison cell.
I got my bathroom, closet, my bed, and a TV.
Is your wife annoyed at all?
Because, I mean, she's having to hold down the fort.
I mean, no, she's just a little worried because, you know, she's been with me the whole time.
That's nice.
That's nice of her.
She's kind of waiting a little bit, like, I'm waiting to see when my symptoms start kicking in.
if she gets in me.
But you're feeling okay if we call you back later on the show, that's okay?
Dude, I'm here.
I got all the time in the world.
Is there anything you want to talk about while we have you?
No, let's see.
What I want to talk about?
It was something funny.
What did I see yesterday that was really funny?
If you were going to have a, you know, because sometimes Eddie will send ideas into the show and be like, hey, we should talk about this.
If you were going to send me an idea to talk about today, what would it have been, do you think?
Today.
I watched Hamilton.
I would have talked about that.
Oh, yeah?
What'd you think?
Amazing.
Gosh, like, people talk about like, oh, Hamilton, it's a play, and it's going to be on TV.
And I'm like, that'll never work.
Why would we want to watch a Broadway play on TV?
It's so good.
I saw it live.
I didn't want to watch it on TV because I was like, who wants to see a play on TV?
Just like Eddie's saying, I was being a little too fancy pants.
I was like, who wants to see a play on TV?
But because Mike D said it was great and Eddie, I may have to watch it now.
But it's over two hours, right?
Yeah, I had to break it up in pieces.
Like, I made it to the first.
Why?
What do you have going on?
I got a little bored.
Well, I still edit videos for the show, too.
Morgan number two sends us over.
Dang, you're in COVID jail and you're still working from home?
Yeah, dude, I'm working.
I feel like I'm part of the show.
I did the podcast with the boys yesterday.
Yeah.
I've been working a little bit.
So what do you write Hamilton?
Oh, I mean, Hamilton is just a, it's a genius play.
I mean, well-written.
The music's awesome.
The acting's a little.
amazing. I give it
five
dollar bills.
Five, huh? Out of five.
You liked it that much? Yeah,
it's fantastic, man. Are you watching Unsolved
Mysteries? No,
should I? Yes. I watched the third
one last night, Amy, too.
Amy, too. The one in French.
So, yes. Here's the thing, everybody.
When you watch Unsolved Mysteries, just know, it doesn't get
solved. I'm seeing so many people go,
I watch the whole thing for an hour, and they don't
tell you. It's an unsolved
And that's why they put Unsolved.com at the end in case you have any information, you can email them.
And maybe it can get solved.
So I've watched three of six.
Same.
They're all good.
You're all good.
You're dialed into all of them the same way.
And by good, also sad.
Yeah, yeah.
By good, I mean it's compelling content.
And the third one is all in subtitles.
And Eddie, you love parasites.
So it's right up your alley.
It's probably your favorite movie of all time, this one episode.
Yeah, and you love that other movie you made me.
Yeah. So it's in French, but it ends up you forget about the subtitles. It's worth it.
I agree. That was a weird one, huh? Once I got through it, I thought, and that one is like...
The guy, you can't find the guy, yeah.
Where are some of these people? What happens? You don't know in there.
You think you can get away with something. That's when I end up. I watch Unsaul Mysteries and go, well, I can murder someone to get away with it. I can figure out something.
Well, I don't know. I feel like these people were not anticipating Unsolved Mysteries coming back on Netflix.
and people binging it.
And now their lives.
Yeah, and they're probably like, oh, shoot, this is getting really popular on Netflix.
Dang it.
Their butts puckering right now.
Wherever some of these folks are hiding out, they're like, oh, crap.
Yeah.
Yeah, watch that.
That's good, too.
What would you mean?
I'm going to start that right now, actually, she doesn't hang up with you guys.
Right now.
Do no, do na, do no.
You hear in the background.
That music is scary.
All right, Eddie.
Well, we'll talk to you tomorrow.
All right, guys.
Hey, keep me in your prayers.
Seriously, this is not a good feeling.
So I'm hoping that test comes back negative.
What's not a good feeling?
Just being in limbo right now, not knowing what's happening.
And I really want to get out of this room and hang out with my family
because I feel fine and I like to get back to work.
So if that test comes negative, I'm ready to just keep rocking.
If the test comes back negative, he's free to come in.
Am I right? Scoop Steve?
Like there's no reason for him not.
He doesn't need to be quarantined even because he was only going to be quarantined because we didn't know.
Correct. Yeah, once we know, he's good to come in.
So if it's negative, we'll all line up and give him a hug.
Boom.
All right.
Eddie, talk to you soon.
All right, bye guys.
All right, there he is.
Our video producer, Eddie, we're waiting on his COVID results.
Here is Brittany.
Hi, guys.
I actually do a paper roll, and you guys get me through it every day.
I work seven days a week.
And I also, when I bring my children with me, my four-year-old, the love Bobby Bones.
She always says, let's listen to Bobby Bones.
Guys have a good day.
Thanks for the call.
You guys can always call us too.
877-77 Bobby.
Leave a message if you want.
I was reading a story about how you can get Corona twice within months.
Yeah.
And the second time may be worse.
The thing about it is they just don't know enough about it.
It hasn't existed long enough to do a ton of studies.
All our bodies are different.
It's affecting all of us in different ways.
And so anything that people, like scientists were saying early on,
it's just based on what they knew then.
You know, we, everything is so different now.
So, but yeah, you can get it twice.
And then the antibodies could wear off in, you know, a few months.
Yeah, I went to some, I was on some girls' Instagram account that she had one of her latest stories.
I guess someone reposted her and it said, I have Corona for the second time in two months.
And so I went and I started reading everything she was experiencing.
And I was like, golly, that's a bummer.
It's hard.
Kroger is not giving coins for change.
anymore. Yeah, I told you it's causing a corn shortage. A corn shortage?
What the? I know about the coin one. Now I'm not going to be like corn. It's causing a coin
shortage. Why is that hard for me to say? Coin shortage. Because? Oh, because people aren't
using money right now because they're not wanting to touch change. Boom. I never wanted to touch
money. Yeah. People were giving me a hard time. Listeners were like, because on Sonic, I was like,
hey, I try not to have cash in my wallet.
Not because of Corona.
I don't like touch of money.
Never have.
And I was like, hey, can we get the Sonic?
The VINMO.
Yeah, waitresses, waiters, car hops to put their Venmo name on their apron because I get there.
I pay with my card.
You can't tip on the card.
And then you want to tip them.
If they would just put the VINMO on their apron or allow them to, they would make so much more money.
And people are like, you're anti-cash.
What's wrong with you?
You want to be in government?
I'm like, no, I don't want to touch a dollar bill that's
in somebody's butt. Yeah, Venmo's cash. Straight cash. It actually is. It's not, yeah, it's not a credit.
It's the digital money. So, I rely on it. I pay people, people pay me. It should be the new thing.
Like, everybody just wears their Venmo around. All the time. That's how someone flirt with you.
I send you a few bucks. I was even thinking, you said that the other day about Sonic. And then I wanted
to buy one of the newspapers from one of the homeless people. And I thought, I didn't have any cash.
I felt bad.
And I was like, oh, man, what if they could even do this?
They have their little Venmo number.
I just Venmo him two bucks.
I get my paper, you know?
But then people would be all up in arms.
Why do they have a cell phone?
How do they have a cell phone?
Okay, well, cell phone's way cheaper
than trying to pay for somewhere to live.
You know?
I'm with you every part of it.
I know.
I just feel like sometimes people always find something to say.
Raymondo, pull up the game music for me for a second.
Amy, you know, try a game?
Sure.
We're going to play Who's on the Money?
I'll name the denomination of currency.
Tell me which president is on it.
Okay.
First one's easy.
George Washington.
Dollar bill.
Quarter.
Nice.
I actually said the person.
I should just have the money first.
But George, yes.
But he's on both.
George Washington's on the $1 bill.
Good.
$5 bill.
Lincoln.
Yes, nice.
The $20 bill.
Andrew Jackson.
Come on.
You're nailing him here.
up. Don't ask me 10.
The $10 bill.
No, I don't know.
Not a president, by the way.
I'll give you a hint.
Thomas Jefferson.
No.
But don't look at me weird?
What do you mean?
Thomas Jefferson? Do you know, you don't think he was the president?
And as the founding father?
Go ahead.
Was he a president?
I don't know. You tell me.
I don't think so.
I think he was the third U.S. president.
You think of Benjamin Franklin?
I thought Adams was the third.
Second.
Oh, and then the fourth, the son.
John Quincy Adams.
Jeez, okay, fine.
Thomas Jefferson was a really rotten person, but a pretty good president.
That's right.
You just talked about him from the podcast, the presidents.
You were talking to how awful he was.
He said all people were born equal, but then he had 600 slaves.
Yeah.
He must admit, he thought all white people are born and cool.
The $10 bill is someone that wasn't a president that significant meaning to our country.
And most people didn't even know about it.
No. Most people didn't even know.
The only reason we know John Hancock because it's so, writing is so big.
Most people didn't even know about them until the last five or six years.
He got super popular.
What?
He got super popular from what?
Give me hint.
I don't want to, that's going to give it away.
Tiny hint.
I'll tell you what he did.
Find a way to say a hint.
He said, this person said, hey, if we owe other countries a bunch of money, they got to make
sure that we stay alive because they got to get their money back.
And it's kind of what kept the United States going.
So he said that a long time ago?
Yeah.
His whole thing was, we should owe all these other countries a bunch of money.
We should be in debt to them because if we're in debt to them,
they want us to be alive.
Yeah, I understand that.
And I have heard it.
When I tell you, you're going to go, oh, crap.
It's Hamilton.
I like that to know Hamilton.
Oh, it is.
I'm an idiot.
I still want to see that.
I haven't seen it yet.
But I'm watching on Disney Plus.
Who's on the $2 bill?
John Hancock.
Thomas Jefferson.
Again?
So he's on the two and the ten?
No, Hamilton's on the ten.
Oh my gosh.
You guessed wrong.
Oh, yeah, I guessed him.
That's right.
So he's not, I just learned that he was a president.
Got it.
You won't get to 50.
Okay.
Next?
No, but you'll...
I won't get it.
Okay.
Was it a president or not?
It was a great leader.
Benjamin Franklin.
Ulysses S. Grant.
No, Benjamin's 100.
Benjamin's 100.
A Benji.
A Benji.
Benji, there you go.
Ulysses Grant.
What?
He's on the 50.
Ulysses S. Grant.
Okay.
That it?
That's it.
What about the thousand?
I don't, I've never seen.
I don't even know if there's a such thing, right?
I don't know.
Is there a $1,000 bill?
I don't even see a $500 bill on here.
I guess they probably don't make those.
There's no.
But $2 bills, I don't know if they still make, if they're still in circulation.
I see them sometimes, but I don't know if they still make circulation.
All right.
What has been?
Who was on the 500?
Because it's been discontinued, Mike said.
Oh, McKinley.
What number of president is he?
I don't know.
I'm not there yet.
There was a $1,000 bill?
And who was it?
You know him?
No, the Cleveland Indians baseball team.
Shut up.
No.
Go over Cleveland.
This is Adam in Tampa, Florida.
I've got a small complaint.
So we're playing too many songs and not enough of your show.
So we want to hear more games and more stories
and all of that more than the music right now.
And I appreciate it.
Isn't that the constant battle?
Because honestly, I would get on here and never shut up.
I have so much to talk about every day.
And I feel like, I've got to play some songs.
They don't really give us a mandate
on how many songs we have to play, honestly.
But I always want the listener to wake up
and hear their favorite songs.
And some of these songs I really like.
Some of them I don't.
But most I love.
But it's always the battle.
And I appreciate that, Adam.
And sometimes people will hashtag,
more talk less music.
Or they'll call in and say more talk less music.
And we appreciate that.
That's always a struggle for me, though.
Like, how much do I just ramble on?
And then also, I got a bunch of stupid stuff to talk about it too,
which may not even interest our listeners.
Right.
But isn't that always the issue?
Like, I always have to figure out, okay, what do they care about?
If I can go like 70.
Yeah, 75, 25, I'm good.

Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So if you had an iPhone 6 or an iPhone 7 a few years ago,
you might be able to get a piece of a class action lawsuit settlement from Apple
because they intentionally slowed down those phones.
And you can get about $25 simply by filing a claim online.
Ramundo was talking about this this morning, right?
Yeah, it's real simple to do.
I'm telling you, anybody should go do it if you had a 6 or a 7.
And I know.
How do you prove it though?
You just have to have the serial number of the phone.
What?
And then you go to smartphone performance settlement.com.
It's like when people would get robbed and they're like,
what was the serial number of that stereo?
I don't write serial numbers down.
I don't even know what cereal had for dinner last night.
You don't still have the phone?
You don't still have it?
Oh, I keep all my phones in like a drawer.
I give them all away to somebody.
That's nice.
Yeah, as soon as I move, I'm like, hey, who needs this?
I clean it.
Yeah.
And then I give it away.
I still have pictures on some phones that I want.
I still...
Well, that's why I clean it.
I don't want someone getting a phone that I used to have.
And then it's me and my underwear taking pictures.
Because I would do before pictures.
I'd get on weight loss, not weight loss, but like fitness goals.
And I'd do before pictures in my underwear.
One time I did that and left it on, that's why I think about it.
Yeah.
So there are a bunch of pictures of me in underwear.
Well, these are just more like sentimental pictures that I want to pull off and keep.
And on one of my phones, I have a voicemail for my mom that I still haven't pulled.
Oh, you mean in a old phone.
Mm-hmm.
You need to pull that now because they could go away.
I know.
get nervous that if I charge it and turn it on, it's going to be gone. And it's really not a great
voicemail. I think she's like, hey, me, call me back. I'm like, God, I wish you would have said more.
That was a tough one for me when my mom, you know, my mom died too, and she had left a voicemail before
then. And to me, I was like, I'm just going to delete it and move on because it was nothing
but what was I going to do with it except always worry about and think about it? I just,
obviously handled things different, we're different. But I was like, so I just deleted it.
Yeah. Well, I haven't done anything with it. It was just sitting on a lot.
What if it's still there?
I'll pull that phone out tonight.
I need to do it.
This is a good reminder.
Will it make you emotional?
I don't think so.
No.
To hear it?
No.
I'm in a way better place.
Like I think now it's like after you lose a parent or anybody's, I think you get hit a certain point where, I mean, people handle grief differently.
But I was emotional for such a long time.
And then now I never know really when it's going to hit me.
Sometimes it's more so when I'm talking to my kids about her that I wish that she had the opportunity.
to know them and they know her.
But that's about, I feel like I can go months and months and months without getting sad.
Yeah, mine's weird too because it'll come out of nowhere and not even something about death.
And my grandmother raised me for a lot of my life.
And so that same thing was my grandmother.
But yeah, it's weird.
Can you hear your, I can't hear my mom's voice anymore.
Oh, I can hear mine because sometimes I feel like my sister and I talk like her.
Or my sister will say something and she will sound just like my mom or she'll laugh.
And then I was just with my sister last.
week and she was looking at my toes. She's like, oh my gosh, you have mom's toes. You know,
little things like that make us think about her. But that didn't make me sad. I think there was a
time where that would have instantly hit me. And again, you never know given any given day.
Like you said, it just pops up. But I feel like it's fewer and further between.
I didn't get super sad or emotional right after because I had to handle everything. Yeah.
But then it hit and then it's wavy. It's weird. It's weird. And nobody handles it wrong.
Like there isn't a wrong. Everybody handles it their own.
Yeah. That's why sometimes on Instagram, whenever somebody dies and someone isn't speaking out publicly about it and people are after them. Like, why aren't you saying this? I'm like, hey, the one thing you can't tell people what to do is how to handle their emotions and their grief in their own way. That's a weird thing. I don't know how we got on this. Oh, the phone. My mom's voicemail being on my old iPhone, which I think it's an iPhone that I could get $25 for. Get the voicemail. Send it in. All right. What else?
Okay, so on to super important matters.
Like Jake Owen's new haircut, he was on the golf course and filming a video and had a hat on.
And then all of a sudden in the video, he does this.
Shot around the range hitting balls.
I was just thinking about something.
I was just thinking of, whoa.
He pulls his hat up and he shaved his head.
And that was the big reveal.
His hair is, I don't know, we've ever really seen it.
It's like buzzed on top.
It's like a one on the sides and a two on top.
Okay, well, that's the clipper numbers?
Yeah. Okay, well, if anybody knows what that means, it's high and tight.
Yeah.
And, like, pretty gray on the sides, too, which is normal for our age.
I don't know if it's gray. I think that it's just short.
Yeah. It says here in the article, nearly shaven and with a side showing lots of gray.
Oh, they need to relax on that.
Jake did die, like, put sun in his hair.
Wait, sun in?
To be funny. He put blonde in it for a while.
Did you see it, Morgan?
Yeah, I did.
like two or three weeks, he put blonde in the top
of his hair. Like he highlighted the tips?
I don't know about the tips, but more than that.
Okay. But then he shaved it all off.
Did you ever used to do that as a kid? Put
lemon juice in your hair or sun in?
No. Oh.
It wasn't a thing that... It wasn't a thing in Arkansas.
The cool kids did it. I didn't do it.
Okay. I had other things to worry about, like,
working. Okay.
Yeah. Squeezing lemon juice in your hair doesn't take
that long. No, no, no. Oh, I am looking at
Jake's color. I like the color picture of this. You show me a black and white one.
I think that's just his head that's white more than gray hair.
It's fine.
I need to be a hater.
I'm getting really sensitive about it because my sideburns are starting to go gray.
I'm not a hater.
You don't have to stay.
I mean, I care about Jake too.
That's my guy.
Have you talked to him in a while?
I talked to him all the time.
He invited Caitlin and I to go out on the boat with him last week and we couldn't because we were something.
But that guy, when he goes on a boat, he is an expert wake surfer.
I think we talked about this on the show.
Like he is A plus
And so, and then
I think he has me to play golf
But he's also the best golfer in country music
And I don't want to go play with somebody so good
So, but that's why I'm sticking out for him too
All right, what else?
Y'all have you and Jake have the
Y'all used to have this like shirtless thing
Where one of you would have a shirtless thing
He would give me crap
Because there would be times on
I'd be doing something without a shirt on
And be like, look at you
When you feel all ripped
All of a sudden you're doing something
Without a shirt
That wasn't it?
Well, I bring that up
because it leads me to my last story,
which is if you're online dating or trying to
and you're a guy, put a shirt on.
According to a new study from dating.com,
men who use a shirtless selfie
and their online dating profiles get way fewer matches.
Well, let's go to Morgan No. 2's dating right now.
Doesn't matter how muscular he is,
or do you not like it?
Being in shape is a good thing,
but I am turned off when people do selfie, like,
shirtless photos.
What if he's just shirtless in an activity?
Yeah, if he's, like, at the pool or if he's like with friends, fine.
But if he's taking like a shirtless selfie or like a shirtless workout selfie, not my style.
Or like a mirror pick.
Yes.
Well, that just gets worse and worse.
Selfie mirror pick.
Okay.
Do you agree with the study?
Yeah, I do.
I do.
So, yeah, put a shirt on.
All right, I'm Amy.
That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
Man, I want to give a big all hug to Katie Page, who lives in Colorado, who adopted two kids that were siblings.
But it all started with the one.
So there was one little boy that she ended up adopting.
Then she found out that there was a sibling also in need.
So she started to be a foster mom.
Adopted the other kid.
Then these two siblings had another sibling out there.
So she decided to foster that baby too and now has adopted all three.
So pretty awesome.
She was going to take the big leap and have one.
Right.
And then the birth mom had more, she kept learning of more and more kids.
So she decided, well, I can't have the siblings be apart.
So she adopted all three, but it was over time.
That's awesome.
Good for her.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
All right.
Over to Amy with the morning corny.
A morning corny.
What do clouds do when they become rich?
What do clouds do when they become rich?
Make it rain.
That's funny.
That was the morning corny.
This is an odd gift you could get someone.
It's a little expensive, but I think it's cool to some folks.
Like if my girlfriend would have said, hey, I got this for you.
I'd be like, oh, wow, that's interesting.
The Los Angeles Dodgers announced an opportunity for fans to purchase a cardboard cut out of themselves
to be displayed during Dodgers' home games in the 2020 MLB season.
The cutouts are located at the field level and are expected to be priced at $149.
You can get even closer ones for $2.99 or even in the home run seats.
So it's, as they're showing the stadium, you have a chance to see you on TV as I cut out.
That's funny.
Right. Expensive.
Yeah, totally.
But if you're like, I don't know what to get this person, you don't have to be a Dodger fan.
I'm not a Dodgers fan.
I'm a diehard Chicago Cubs fan.
But that's a funny thing, right?
I think they put your head on a Dodgers body, like a Dodgers outfit and stuff.
but those who do want to purchase a cutout
will have the opportunity to take it home
at the end of the season.
Oh, and they get to keep their body?
Mm-hmm.
That's fun.
I wonder if they'll mail it to you
or if you have to be there to get it.
Probably mail it to you
because I can't imagine
how much people are going to get it.
No, I'm sure they send it in there.
That's a cool gift if you can afford that.
Yeah, that was good thinking on.
I mean, they obviously had to get creative
and start thinking outside the box
on what they're going to do.
And whoever came with that, it's good.
Yeah, two birds, one stone
because one, you have to put something in the seat
so it doesn't look empty.
And the two, how do you make some money at it?
I think some of the people, too, especially NFL,
because as I've often felt, football is not going to be the same or even happen.
I doubt college football happens, especially when it's supposed to happen.
When I say I doubt it happens.
I doubt it happens on time.
They've already eliminated non-conference games in a lot of places.
But I just doubt it all.
It happens as fall.
But, you know, the NFL, they're going, hmm, can we put up advertisements like on a green screen in the seats?
That's how to make money.
Because they don't make a lot of their money off ticket sales.
They make a significant amount, but not a significant percentage.
But it would be interesting.
I put on my Instagram yesterday, Caitlin got me a 1990 Chicago Cubs jacket, batty jacket.
I saw that.
Super cool.
One of the coolest gifts because she knows, I mean, I love the Chicago Cubs, have my entire life.
And so she found an original 1990s, one of the ballplayers, old jackets.
Were you all celebrating something or just like thoughtful gift for no reason?
Or I didn't know if it was, I was like, whoa, what is this?
She got it for me in April for my birthday.
Oh.
But then she wasn't able to get it here because of COVID.
And then when she moved, she didn't have.
It was just a whole thing, but I finally got it.
So, yeah, it's pretty cool.
I saw the story that the Rock charges $1 million per Instagram post.
Oh, wow.
Are you kidding?
It was crazy.
I mean, that's a huge following.
I mean, they're paying that much money for people to see it on TV.
So it's all about getting eyeballs on stuff.
But isn't that nutty?
Yeah.
Dwayne the Rogg Johnson charges $1 million per Instagram.
He's at number one.
Kylie Jenner at $986,000.
Cristiano Ronaldo at 3, the soccer player, Kim Kardashian at 4.
And Ariana Grande at $5,853,000 for an Instagram post.
Wow.
That is so much money.
I wonder what Dustin Lynch is getting for those monster energy drinks.
What I would bet is...
Anytime I see him pull up, he's like casually just drinking a monster.
I mean, it's not bad.
I just, I'm like, wow, he must be on a energy drinks.
a really nice deal with them.
You may guess?
Sure.
I would guess it's an overall integration thing.
Probably $75,000 for a few posts.
That's what I would think, because yes.
And it's a sponsored post.
I would think, especially if he's doing it more than once.
Yeah.
And he puts the little hashtag partner or whatever, but he,
they're like a tour and part of their sponsoring the tour as you also,
we'll sponsor the tour, but you also got to put a couple posts up.
Yeah.
So I'd bet probably around six figures for that, if I were guessing.
Speaking of Instagram, Michael Ray, the country singer,
here's a clip of Michael Ray.
If you remember, Ray Mundo, post on Michael Ray's page,
because Michael Ray was holding a bottle of water.
And it's like, hey, I like this water.
And Raymondo comments and goes,
but will you still like it in eight months?
Meaning, because him and Carly Pierce got divorced after eight months.
Yes.
And so he deleted that comment, but there's been an update?
Yes, so it took about a day.
but then I just showed up on my feed that
Carly Pierce, who Michael Ray was married to and they got
divorced, she liked my post that I put up.
Yeah!
She pushed the heart. That's awesome.
Which I mean, to say that she liked it,
I mean, that says so much that...
What does it say to you?
My perspective of their marriage and their divorce,
she agreed with it.
She totally went with the flow on that one.
Didn't think I was too mean.
She said, your tweet was funny.
You get...
I don't know.
get a lot of feelings about what happened
there. There's a lot of subtexting going on too.
She also might have revealed some stuff about why they broke
up. What do you mean? She liked a
tweet from a listener that said, I cannot believe
somebody would cheat on the most perfect
woman. She liked that as well.
Oh, breaking news.
I didn't know that. So one of our listeners
tweeted and then she liked it.
Yeah.
Why is she
on his Instagram liking things?
No, no, no. Our show
posted it. Oh, our show. And then she went and liked that. Gotcha. I get it now. Oh, dang. Do you have a
Carly Pierce song? Yeah, I do. And on her Instagram, there's no more pictures of Michael Ray.
Well, I'd have taken those down, too. They were up for a little bit. Yeah, even after they
split? Yes. Really? You think that people should go through and clear out their relationships?
I think if it's super public and people are going to go troll you, yes. Okay. Just for no other reason.
I don't think you have to clear your relationship out. But yeah. Wow, wow, wow.
Jerry, Jerry, Jerry, Jerry.
Dang.
A 29-year-old woman was attacked by a shark
while she was working on a documentary about sharks.
Oh, that's ironic.
And she was being taken away on the stretcher, and they have her.
And this is what she yelled, as they're taking her away on the stretcher
after she was bit by a shark, filming sharks.
She still love sharks.
She still loved sharks.
Wow.
Her name is Anika Craney.
She was attacked Tuesday.
The 29-year-old woman suffered significant leg injuries during the attack.
She was enjoying a day off from filming from the documentary, too.
And that's when the shark even got her, which she wasn't even filming.
Are you scared of sharks?
Yes.
So here's my situation.
Again, I haven't been told I can't talk about the Nat Geo show.
I've been told maybe I shouldn't by some folks, but I feel like it's, I owe our listeners.
If it's on my mind, we have a pact, I kind of share it.
There's a, I may have to go and do something with sharks on my Nat Geo show.
It hasn't been confirmed yet, but I...
And getting close to the sharks.
Would you do that?
Like that? Like her?
Yeah.
Because you're being wheeled away?
I still love sharks.
I'd be like, I never like sharks.
What do you?
Because I, if it's something that is so crazy to me, I can say no.
I've never, I haven't said no to anything because I think part of this show is me doing something that doesn't make me comfortable.
Sharks.
Would you do that?
Well, I don't know what it is that you have to do.
It doesn't matter.
You get close to them.
And not in the cage.
Uh-uh.
You wouldn't?
No. But you should. That would be interesting. I'd watch.
That's not even the one. I'm not that scared of sharks.
Well, then you should do it. Because sharks can smell fear.
I feel like, oh, well, I'm going to be pee in my pants.
If they can smell fear, I'm going to be a skunk.
Well, I don't really even know if they can.
Because I'll be scared.
But I think so, too. I wasn't born around the ocean.
Right.
So I don't have a lot of shark stories.
But Eddie was like, I wouldn't. No way I'd be in here a shark.
So, but I think I would do that something with sharks.
Like just, right when you get in the water, if you do do it, just keep positive towards the shark and talk to the shark.
Hey, buddy, what's up? I'm like, nothing to see here.
Yeah, hey, how's it going?
I have to get scuba certified. I've never been scuba diving.
Well, that part would be really cool.
Yeah.
You'd probably get to see so many amazing things in the water, you know?
Like, that's just a world I'll never know because I don't have that.
I don't, at least this point in my life, that scares me.
So I won't ever do underwater stuff, but it seems really pretty.
Do you want to know the one that I'm super scared of that I said yes to, but I am so anxious about it?
They want me, I tell what I'm supposed to go clean, the top of the Golden Gate Bridge?
Mm-mm.
Mm-hmm.
But you'd be harnessed, right?
Well, they're not going to let me free solo that thing.
But I would be scared.
Like, I have anxiety now.
If that one happens.
I have anxiety now about it.
Yeah, that's scary.
Because this whole show is about finding folks who have kind of my story.
A difficult upbringing, but they do a crazy, cool job.
Because that's my life.
And who can, you can, whatever your dream is, these are other examples of they went and did what they love doing.
And so that's one of them.
And I said yes to it.
That's that one, right now the pit of my stomach is like this.
That's what it feels like.
I hate heights.
I'll ride a shark all day.
I hate heights.
When I did Bearer Girls and I had to go down that cliff at the end,
on just a rope,
there was the most scared I've ever been.
And I've had a gun to my head.
And the most scared I've ever been was going down that rope.
My knees were hitting together like a cartoon character.
I can't remember.
Did you pee yourself?
Mm-mm.
Okay.
I can't remember.
I was wet anyway because we're going down a waterfall.
By the way, you guys can watch this.
If you have Disney Plus, it's up.
You can watch it.
Because I would.
The season of Bearer Girls.
What? I would pee.
Do you like heights?
No.
Me either.
And that Golden Gate Bridge
sways and it's up in the clouds.
Do they keep cards from driving on it when it's being cleaned?
No, of course not.
Because it seems like that would cause more.
Of course it does.
Okay.
I don't even know they cleaned it.
Why do they clean it?
I should ask your cousin when she comes on because she's going to be on tomorrow.
She's a psychic.
If I'm going to die on this show.
Okay.
I don't know that she tells people that.
What if she just said, oh yeah.
You sure are.
She would just know that something big is coming up.
Well, I love sharks, just like she said.
Oh, she said, shocks.
Sharks.
Here you go.
Here's the clip again.
I still love shocks.
There you go.
Sharks, I'm going to say that to him, too.
You're beautiful.
Don't bite me.
I was reading a story about how people are taking a lot more road trips this summer instead of flying because of COVID.
I've done that.
I've been driving a lot more.
And one family is trying to do all 48 states during COVID.
drive and touch all of them. Can't get to Hawaii or Alaska. But here's what we're going to do here
on the show. And Eddie is on right now. Yep. Eddie, you there? There he is. Eddie, you there?
Yeah, I'm here, bone. Okay, Eddie's in his room. By the way, we're still waiting on Eddie's COVID test to
come back. He lost a smell. He's isolated in his room, but he feels fine. So he's going to do this
bit with us. And we can see him too, right, Morgan? Yeah, I can see him. He's not going to cheat.
He can't cheat. I'm going to give you guys 10 minutes and you're going to list every state you can,
writing it down. Oh my gosh. What? Oh boy. It's easy. It's not that easy, Eddie.
No, no, no maps. You have 10 minutes. I'm gonna get the clock going here. You guys can go ahead and start in through it's lunchbox Amy, Eddie.
Okay. Winner gets 20 bucks. I'm in. All right, here we go. It starts now. I'm gonna keep talking for a second, but the timer's going. So no one can look at their computers. You have 50 states. You're writing them all down. Let's see who gets the most out of 50.
which may be tough.
I know how I would do it.
How would you do it?
I'm not telling you.
Alphabetically, of course.
I have a different theory.
No, I don't.
Tomorrow on the show, Amy's cousin will be on.
She is the psychic we've had on a few times.
When the first time she came on the show,
I was like, I don't believe in psychics.
I mean, by the way, I still don't,
but she's a great guest, and she nailed a bunch of stuff.
So tomorrow, Cole Swindell will be on,
and Amy's cousin, who's the psychic.
And then hopefully we'll get Eddie's results for COVID.
Well, all the guys are still working.
Amy, lunchbox, Eddie, who's at home right now,
they're trying to list all 50 states.
They had 10 minutes.
You have nothing to look at it.
You're just listing it with your hand.
We'll see who did the best.
We'll see who did the worst.
The winner gets 20 bucks.
Loser gets embarrassed.
Although lunchboxes over there yelling,
Real world, Alaska.
And Amy's going real housewives of.
Like, that's how they're trying to figure out all the states.

How do you think you did, Amy?
I got close, but not all the way.
I think I got maybe 42.
Yeah.
I don't even know, 40.
So what I did to the whole show, Amy, Lunchbox, and Eddie, which, by the way, Eddie's at home.
He's in quarantine because we're waiting on his COVID test.
We said, you have 10 minutes, list as many states as you possibly can.
Try to get all 50.
Did you think you could get 50 before it started?
I thought I would get kind of close, but then there's just some.
Like, even at the end, I was like, oh, yeah, Michigan.
And, like, I didn't think of that until right before it was over.
And Ray was born there.
So then I started, I was like, oh, I better make sure I got everything.
And I was like, where was Bobby born?
And I was like, oh my gosh, I don't have Arkansas.
Like it was-
Wow.
Pack your bags, you get Arkansas.
Oh, I added it.
But I know that there's really simple ones that I was missing.
So I tried to get in my car and be like, well, when I was growing up, we used to drive
to Alabama and we were in Texas.
So we'd go through Louisiana and Mississippi, Alabama, and then you hit Florida.
It's an interesting way to try to track them all.
I would have went alphabetically.
Oh, no chance.
I would have went A and then tried to list them all the A's.
What do you got?
Arkansas, Arizona.
I got that. Thank you, Lauren Petroski.
I also tried to think of on Instagram where I see my friends go.
Home. Where were they born? What were they doing?
Are those the only two A's Arkansas and Arizona?
Alabama?
Alabama. Or my family's from?
Okay. Mike. Did anybody get all 50?
Alaska?
No.
Eddie, how do you feel like you did?
So I filled out my list and I was like, oh, I got them all.
And then I counted it. I only have 46.
Mike, did anybody put anything that was an estate?
Yes.
Okay.
Lunchbox thought Washington, D.C. was a state.
Okay.
Listen, it should be.
It's the capital of America, right?
It's where the White House is.
So I figured maybe I missed, I don't know, I thought it was a state.
It should be a state, but it is not.
I agree.
Did anybody else put anything that wasn't a state?
No.
Okay.
Any other discrepancies?
Anybody else putting anything stupid?
No?
I had Atlanta down, but I,
raced it.
Hey, good a race.
I was like,
that's where I was like
Real Housewives of Atlanta.
And then I was like,
oh yeah,
that's Georgia.
Oh, bad.
We'll reveal
lunchboxes score first.
Mike D.
Out of 50,
how many did the lunchbox get?
Come on.
He got 43.
Dang.
That's good.
That's good.
How many did you have
written down?
I don't know.
He had 44 written down,
but he had 44 written down,
but.
Oh, wow.
Let me tell you.
And I started,
what I did it,
I started on the left side,
and I went down the coastline,
and then I moved
in a coastline and I just tried to go across
and then I went down. I mean, I have no idea,
but I don't know even know what I missed. I can't believe. I couldn't
think of anything else. There's nothing else out there.
Eddie, what was your strategy?
I did the same as lunch. I started on the West Coast
and then, of course, as they came to my mind, I just wrote them down.
But I would try to go across the whole country
left to right.
Okay. I just went everywhere.
Sort of like how your brain works.
Eddie, do you feel like you beat lunchboxes 43?
Yeah.
You do.
Yeah, yeah. And as soon as I turned my list into Mike, I knew I forgot Wisconsin.
And I love Wisconsin.
Mike, was there a state that was missed the most?
I had Wisconsin.
I had Wisconsin.
I think everyone else had Wisconsin, yeah.
Like Vermont, Rhode Island.
Did you guys get those small ones?
I got those two.
Amy did miss Vermont, yeah.
Eddie said he missed it to it, Connecticut.
You know, because all there was a bunch together.
I got Connecticut.
Connecticut.
What did I miss?
That upper small space up there was in.
get me. And then the
Wyoming, I got Montana.
Oh, Montana.
That's where it would.
If you had been watching Yellowstone, you would know.
Take a break.
Lunchbox got 43 out of 50.
Okay.
Amy, do you think you beat him?
I don't think so.
I don't think so.
Amy got 39.
Oh, yeah!
I didn't even make it to 30.
Oh, I'm such a loser.
I didn't even make it a 40.
But unlike Lundgebogs, I at least put all the states.
They were all states.
Okay.
And so the question is, did Eddie be lunchbox?
Yeah, because Eddie seems pretty confident.
Well, yeah, Eddie was confident he could drive too and he was the worst driver.
He did turn his test and quick on the driver's test.
Eddie, do you feel like you got lunchbox?
He got 43?
You say yes?
Yes, I believe I got 46 if I counted correctly.
Did he even have 46 written down?
He did not count correctly.
How do you have?
Don't say yet.
Eddie, do you want to side bet?
Lunchbox, do you think you'd Eddie?
Man, Eddie tries to come off as smart,
but I really think Eddie's kind of dumb.
Well, I'm not dumb, and I only got 39.
Amy, you don't try to come off as extra smart.
Eddie tries to be all proper and like he's the smartest guy.
So I would side bet Eddie because I don't think he's that good.
$5 side bet?
Yeah, I'm in.
Do you want to bet lunchbox?
I love it.
$5, let's do it.
Okay.
Lunchbox with 43.
Come on, give me that money.
Eddie with 40.
Come on.
Come on.
Give me the money.
Five.
No.
Eddie is our winner with 45.
What two did he get that I didn't get?
The only ones he missed were Vermont, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
I had all of those except for Vermont.
In Connecticut.
Well, that's almost half a lot.
You only had 39.
Monttinted Indiana.
But I had the Iowa.
All right.
All right.
Because I knew a.
The winner.
He makes five bucks from lunchbox and 20 from me.
I need to know the other ones I missed.
Did you know that song?
Hold on.
What's Eddie?
Easy money.
Thank you so much.
Hey, call me back, dude.
I'm here.
I'm not doing anything.
I'm just here telling.
All right.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
A couple in California pulled over to a parking lot.
They realized, well, we're not going to make it to the hospital to deliver this baby.
The couple, who is Mike and Melissa, were 15 minutes.
minutes away, and she started having crazy pains.
She's like, ah, the baby's coming.
It's coming right now.
Pull over.
Two Orange County firefighters.
Kyle Croson and Kai Brody arrived.
Saw got the call and delivered the baby in the front seat of the couple's car.
Oh, wow.
That's crazy.
They're completely grateful for the firefighters' quick actions.
A few days later, the couple had a reunion with the firefighters via Zoom video so they could
actually introduce them to their baby who they helped deliver.
The baby's name is Silas.
his middle name is Kyle and Kai.
Wait, his middle name is a nod of the firefighters, Kyle and Kai.
It doesn't say what it is.
It's like Kyle Kai, Kyle, Kyle.
Kyle.
Well, anyway, you're a firefighter.
You're going to work one day thinking,
we'll put out some fires.
Next thing you know, you got a baby screaming out of some woman.
You know what's going to happen on the job.
That's awesome.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
You didn't like the gentleman that movie I recommended?
I just don't know if it was the right time for me to watch it.
I just couldn't get into it.
Matthew McConaughey. Don't you like him?
Yep.
Like the other people in the movie, too.
Oh, the guy, the Charlie, whatever.
Yeah.
He was in Sons of Anarchy.
I loved him in that.
But I don't know.
I couldn't get into the gentleman.
I'm not saying it's bad.
My husband liked it.
I just maybe need to try to watch it at a different time.
Did he watch all of it?
He watched halfway through maybe.
Yeah.
He's seen, so he'll probably finish it.
He liked it.
I loved it.
I gave it four.
0.25 out of five plants.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
And Mike D watched the outpost and recommended that.
I said it was great, and you tried to watch that.
I made it 15 minutes through that, and it was just too intense.
Normally, that's something I would like, but I just don't know.
There's so much shooting.
And I said something to my husband, and I was like, I just can handle the shooting.
He's like, what did you think was going to be happening?
It's the military men in a valley and the Hindu Kush mountains.
And, like, there are war.
And I get that it's a true story.
So I want to revisit that one.
But I just, it was too much for me before bed.
Well, the gentleman, 85% positive Rotten Tomatoes,
outposts 92% positive.
Oh, okay.
So maybe you just weren't in the right spot.
Yeah, maybe I need to just check it out another time.
Did you watch anything else?
That's when, then I decided to watch the rest of Unsolved Mysteries.
Oh, that third episode?
I was in the mood for that.
Weird.
Just not shooting.
Maybe it was shooting.
Because they were shooting in the gentleman and they were shooting in outpost.
The outpost is crazy.
I'm going to watch it.
You should watch it.
I mean, I'm interested to see where the story goes,
but the fact that they were stationed in this one area,
and then for me, I don't know,
watching that stuff with my husband
because he spent a lot of time in the Middle East
when he was in the Air Force.
And so I probably then I start asking him too many questions
and he gets annoyed.
So maybe we need to watch it separate.
Yeah, I was thinking about you and your husband.
So Amy's husband was in the Air Force,
he went to the Air Force Academy.
So will he be buried at the Air Force Academy?
Yes.
Does he have to buy a plot there or does he just get it?
I think he already has it.
I don't really know how it works, but he has one.
And then I can actually be buried there too.
I don't know if I should do that though.
Well, I know.
But then that seems weird because I didn't serve our country and he did.
So it makes sense for him to be buried there.
But then is that really where I would be buried?
Do spouses get buried there?
I think that's the precedent.
He's told me I could.
And also do you really care because you're dead anyway?
Who cares where you get buried?
That's why I feel.
Well, yeah.
So this is what I think.
For my kids, would they want to go visit mom and dad at the same place?
You know?
Yeah.
So that's the only reason.
But I feel weird being buried at the Air Force Academy because I wasn't in the Air Force.
But your husband was and you supported him.
Very true.
So I don't know.
But then I thought, well, I guess if I don't go there, I don't know where I'll go.
I guess it could be buried next to my mom.
but then who's going to come see me there?
I don't know.
I don't like thinking about when I'm being buried.
I was watching the idiot abroad in China.
Yeah.
And, you know, in China, it's customary for folks to have their own casket.
They oversee it, even before they get really old.
So they buy it themselves.
This woman on there, she had designed it, and the guy was sanding it outside.
And she was like, yeah, that's good, that's good.
And she wasn't sick or anything.
But before they get sick, they kind of get it ready.
Huh.
Death is just different to different people in different cultures.
Totally.
Me, I want nothing to do with it.
I don't want to hear about it.
It ain't ever happening, et cetera.
You're doing, well, I know this is morbid, but it's fine.
I feel like as your friend, I need to know this.
But I guess now that you have Caitlin in your life, she can handle a lot of it.
But like you wouldn't, you want to be buried and you want to be cremated.
I feel like you would want your ashes sprinkled.
In Arkansas.
Yeah.
If so, I think the things that happen to you after you die are for the people that are still alive.
Yeah.
Because I'm out.
See these two fingers? This is me chucking the deuce.
Because I'm gone, I don't care what you do.
But you might as well, yeah, spread me out in Arkansas.
Okay.
Put me in the governor's mansion where I serve for two terms.
Okay.
I'm seeing about that.
I'm already declaring this from all my ashes.
I mean, and I hope it's when we're talking about this when we're 90 years old.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Weird if this gets played back soon.
I know, right?
I know.
But I mean, that happens sometimes.
On with us now is David Rush.
He has so many Guinness World Records.
The reason, David, that we kind of came across your story
was this balloon thing you did,
and I'm going to get to some of the stuff he's done.
But you had three balloons.
You kept hitting them in the air for over an hour.
Is that true?
Yeah, an hour and 13 minutes.
Now, on the surface, and I'm looking at this YouTube video of you,
you just keep popping the balloons up in the air.
On the surface, it doesn't seem that hard.
But then I start to watch it.
It looks really tough.
How many minutes into this did you go?
holy crap, I may not make it.
I never actually had that thought in my mind.
I knew I could do it.
I'm a juggler by trade.
So I've spent 5,000 hours probably in my life juggling.
On this one, I knew I was going to be able to do it, but it is harder than juggling, I think.
Was this a record that already stood, or did you go, here's what I can do, and then you broke it?
No, this one's been broken multiple times.
When I first thought it was like five, five and a half minutes was the record.
Some folks at Buzzbee tried to bake it.
They were unable for a while.
and then I broke it
and another famous YouTuber broke it
and then somebody else broke it
and so the record stood at 39 minutes
49 seconds
before I broke it this last week
So David Rush is on
He lives in Idaho
He's got a talent for breaking Guinness World Records
He kept three balloons in the air
For one hour, 12 minutes and 50 seconds
Do you have to call them and go
Hey I'm going to break this record
Do you have to be there
Do they have to see a live stream
Or do you just have to record it
So you do have to apply on their web
website before you can break a record. You just go out and try to break a record. They're not going to
approve it because you have to apply, get the application with all of the very specific
guidelines you have to follow and all the evidence you have to gather for each attempt
because it's a little bit different. And then video edit and get witnesses and
timekeepers and photographic evidence and submit that to them.
You know, what I didn't know is that we've tried to break one of his records before on the show.
It just says a bit. And we couldn't do it. But he was the guy we talked about
that drank the lime juice.
He drank an entire liter of lime juice in 17.29 seconds.
Remember that one?
These guys tried that.
They almost vomited.
Did you train for that?
How did that one work out?
It was poorly.
It was terrible.
Let me tell you.
The way I trained is with water.
And I would drink a half of a liter of water really fast.
And that's how I trained the muscles and the reflexes for it.
A liter of water just creates a horrible stomach ache from my stomach expanding.
And then I did the limit.
juice one and the lime juice one. For those, I never actually did a practice with a lemon
juice and a lime juice because it was too painful with that much fluid.
Were you sick after it? Because these guys got the poops. I'm not going to lie to you, David.
Lunchbox, how much did you get down? I got down one, almost. I was about halfway to the end.
Okay. So, and he had the poops for two days. How'd you do?
You know, with the lemon juice, I had a stomachache for about 13 hours. It never threw up. The lime
juice. I like lime juice better than lemon juice, but I struggle with that one more. I almost
threw up right away. I didn't. Took lots of tons and yes, I had an upset stomach and some
gastrointestinal stuff going on for day. You ever think about being a competitive eater?
No, I hate food records.
How many records do you have?
I have broken over 150 Guinness World Records titles today. Now, are you making money
off this? Like, have you found a way to monetize this skill of breaking records?
So my mission is actually to promote STEM education, science, technology, engineering, math.
And I've got a day job at a cool technology company here in Boise called Crateappoint.
We just launched 5G routers.
So on the side, I promote STEM education because the hardest positions to fill are these that require math, science, engineering degrees.
And I break the records to show that if you set your mind a goal, believe in yourself and pursuit of the passion, you can accomplish anything.
I'm motivated.
Who knew I was going to be inspired by this call?
Come on.
Hey, here's another one he broke.
He flipped a flaming sword 57 times in 30 seconds.
So, did you ever do this and it not go exactly right in either A, you burned your hand or cut a little something?
Yeah, well, I burned my hands off and not, I mean, the hair's gone off of them.
I get a little, you know, first or second degree burn, but nothing too terrible.
Man, this guy here.
Smart guy, found a way to promote something he's passionate about.
So you live in Boise, right?
Yep.
Okay, we're on 104.3 Wow Country in Boise.
So if you guys, you know, hear of us and want to go, do you ever do like, hey, come meet me?
Not now, obviously, because the pandemic, but you ever do like cameos or meet and greets, any of that kind of stuff?
You know, I'm often at events that promote STEM education, given talks, or go to libraries and schools.
And so I do meet a lot of people out there in the world and done several, you know, radio station for motion things.
And, you know, when the X games came to Boise, I juggled axes for 839 consecutive catches for that.
Oh, my gosh.
And you have all your hands are intact, like fingers, you got it all.
I mean, I've got some scars, but they're all intact.
Here's another one.
He did 200, 2,173 behind the back disc catches for an hour.
He is the world's fastest juggler.
He caught 67 tennis balls in 30 seconds while on a balance.
on sport. Do you just go through like the internet, the site and find records and then decide,
hey, that's the one I think I can get?
You know, I do go through the website, the Guinness Book and their YouTube videos.
And I approach them all with what I call it growth mindset. And Stanford psychologist Carol Spreck
talked about this, that I can get better at anything. So I look at this, every record is like,
okay, I could break this record, how much time is going to take me to invest in to be able to break
that. And anything with juggling, balancing, running are my main core strengths. And then I've
branching out to, you know, like the eating records and things like that. And anytime I first try it,
I struggle. I'm not really good at it, especially if it's something I haven't practiced before.
And a lot of students have the same problem. They fail a math test, struggle at science.
I can never become an engineer. But if they have a growth mindset and they work hard, get help,
they can get better. And when I understand that I am going to become better at this,
I can become the fastest juggle of the world and spend a year at it and train for it every day.
I was able to do it.
He's got an electrical engineering degree from MIT.
Oh my God.
He has, he published a book, Breaking Records, 21 lessons from 21 world record attempts.
It's on Amazon and Kindle.
Man, this guy here.
Hey, did you, did you kid?
I don't know if you have a kid, I know you have a kid maybe, but do you have multiple kids.
They think you're cool for doing this?
You know, I've got a one and a four-year-old, and I'm just as cool as the cardboard box they can play in.
They love it.
They love me.
They love what I do.
They want to be part of all the records, attempts, and juggles and knock over the towers.
and drink lemon juice.
One final one.
They both drink great lemon juice.
He has the record for a wife
helps husband put on 18 t-shirts
in 30 seconds for a world record.
I didn't know these were records to begin with,
much less ones that he broke.
Well, I could do that with you.
Oh, let me ask you this, David.
By the way, David Rush, multiple Guinness
World Record holder, don't people all the time
go, well, I could do that, but they can't.
They're out of their mind, right, David?
No, they absolutely can.
No, if they have to train, though, like Amy's like,
well, I can do that right now.
No, I listen to what he's saying, and all I have to do is have a growth mindset and know that I'm capable of doing that.
Right?
And put in the hard work.
Yes.
And put in the hard work.
Exactly.
Well, I really appreciate you spending a little time with us.
That's, uh, and check out his book.
And are you on Instagram, David?
Uh, yeah, I'm Instagram, David Rush speaker there.
Okay.
And I got a YouTube channel with over a hundred of the records posted.
You can watch him at, uh, David Rush record breaker on YouTube.
All right. There he is. David, thank you for your time. Good luck. And love what you say and love why you do it.
Hey, thanks so much. It's been a pleasure.
All right. There is. David Rush, everybody.

We're running yesterday, and I have this app where I'm trying to run a half marathon.
Not to really run a half marathon, but I just need some sort of guidance and some sort of push.
So yesterday I had an 80-minute run, which is a long time for me.
It's a real long time.
And so I get on, it's like, okay, start run now.
And I'll run through pain.
I'll run through tired.
It's just not, but I got so dizzy running.
The earth looked like it was wobbling,
and I stopped about 25 minutes into it.
Now, the annoying part was that it's a three-mile loop,
and I was at the other full end of it.
I couldn't jog anymore.
And so I run around a golf course,
so I had to walk through a golf course.
I'm in cutoffs and shorts,
and there are people golfing.
I'm like, sorry, guys, not feeling great.
I had to walk through.
But it's first time that's ever happened to me.
Yeah, it was rough.
Well, I'm glad you listened to your body
and didn't try to power it.
through that because that could be bad.
I'm 40 years old now, I've got to listen.
Mm-hmm.
Are you hydrating?
Okay.
That's what Caitlin said to.
She was like, maybe you were dehydrated.
Because, I mean, you're running in the heat, so you're, I don't know if your water.
Yeah, but it was in the evening, though.
Doesn't matter.
It's still hot.
I don't understand how people like to run.
Mm-hmm.
Same.
I don't understand people like mayonnaise.
I don't understand how people like to run.
There are a lot of these things where I just don't get it.
But every part of running to me is awful.
When you start, why?
you're doing it when it's over. I like to be home and be showered and then chilling and think about
the run I did. That's the only good part about running. People that can escape by running, I just don't
understand it. God love you. It is not for me. And you did a marathon. Yeah, but I don't, I wouldn't
do it. I was young. It's like 21 when I did it. And I ran a lot back then, and I used to love to run,
but now I don't. I don't run at all. You would actually enjoy the problem. I would go with friends.
Like I thought I would, I, yeah.
And then even.
You could talk and a run.
Like I asked Caitlin, does she want to run with me?
But then it's, I can't talk and I'm so out of breath.
Oh, no.
Even after college, I moved back to Austin.
Like I had girlfriends.
We would meet at the hiking bike and town lake.
We would run for five, six miles.
That's where we would catch up, talk the whole time.
And I mean, that's what we like to do.
I can't even imagine.
You guys can call us if you want.
I don't understand how people.
like to run. Yeah. Maybe you can leave us a voicemail. What do you, what do you not understand that
people like? Because it mayonnaise and running would be for me. I love mayonnaise. I know. I just don't get it.
You leave a voicemail. 877, Bobby. We have placed on back. Here is Jill from Baton Rouge, Louisiana,
who called us. So my best friend Ashley got me to start listening to y'all. I just started a few
weeks ago and I am obsessed and hooked. She's been asking me for over a year to listen, has wanted me to
you, she's just obsessed with you. I love Caitlin, by the way. Y'all are so cute. But I asked her why
she hasn't ever left a voicemail and she said, I don't know what to say. So here I am wanting you
to give a shout out to my best friend Ashley. She'll be her pants if you say hi. Thanks. Bye.
Ashley, what's up? Hey. I appreciate that. Yeah, leave us a voicemail. We appreciate that.
Thanks for being obsessed with the show. I don't, like, I'm so over me. Right now, I don't think I would
listen to this show. Oh. I can't take any more of me.
I was going to say some people might not get, they might be like, what I don't get, you don't get mayonnaise, I don't get listening to the Bobby's show.
Like right now, I don't know why ratings are so good because I tell Caitlin all the time, it's like, I think I lost it. I think I've lost any ability to be entertaining anymore.
Daniel in North Carolina, here you go.
Bobby, what's going on, baby?
Just want to say what's up?
I love the show.
My birthday is today.
I'm swearing in for the military tomorrow, and I also opening it to ultimate trust.
I get a shout out on your show.
I love you guys so much.
And I'll give you a Raymundo.
Yo!
I love you guys.
Peace out.
Thanks, Daniel.
So here's your shout-out.
Also, man, nice.
Get into the military.
Appreciate that.
And happy birthday.
Raymundo, give him your own.
I'll be screaming on Hillary, but yeah!
There he is.
Let's do one more mic from Port Ritchie, Florida.
Hey, Bobby.
Listen, I just wanted to make a comment for Amy.
I think she should allow her son just to go ahead and say what the.
You know, I think that's an amazing thing for him to practice his restraint and show other.
kids in school and wherever he may be restraint by just saying what the, you know, there is no
following word. He's not saying any foul language. So I think it's no big deal and I think she should
not worry about it. And most people agreed on Facebook with you. I was told by Morgan. I don't
look at Facebook. Yeah. But most people, because Amy's son said, what the? And he got in trouble.
He didn't say what the, any other word after that. Yeah. So he just got frustrated. And then
I learned he picked that up for me because that's what I'll say. Like if I go up to his room and his bed's
not made and he knows that he should make his bed every day.
I look at him and I'm like, what the?
Like, I'm just annoyed and frustrated. And now
in true kid fashion,
they mimic everything we do.
And he did it to a tutor.
I was going to message asking if I'm still on TikTok.
I mean, I'm on. I don't post a bunch
of TikTok. And now that China's
staring at us to our cameras because we have TikTok
on our phone, I'm even less inspired
to be on TikTok. Your daughter's still doing
it? No, she's the one that told me
that she came to me and
said, did you know America's getting rid of TikTok?
Not exactly true, but okay.
That was her interpretation.
So she said she went ahead and already deleted the app.
She doesn't have her own phone, but my husband has a, he uses an Android for works.
He has an iPhone for personal stuff so he can FaceTime with the kids and stuff.
So when he's not using that, she technically has possession of that phone.
And so she acts like it's hers.
And she said, I already deleted the app off my phone.
I think because she thinks that
you're in trouble if you use it or something.
So what's she wondering now?
She wants to know how she I can,
she asked me to please provide her with a similar app
that can show her dance moves and
well, it's okay and I was like,
I don't know what to do it.
What?
And I've asked to be in a, like a launch of it.
How do you know of it?
Oh, because you've asked about it?
Yeah, because, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I don't think I should say,
but it'll be a part of Instagram.
Okay.
So at least Americans will be stealing her information
That's I mean that'll be better than other people
So there will be a TikTok type thing coming real soon
Okay
So tell her that
I'll tell her but she doesn't have an Instagram yet
Yeah she does
But I know you saved her name but she doesn't use it
Yeah but I'm gonna let her start using it soon
Yeah I let her create her on TikTok account
So now I'm like okay if this maybe this will be
The first little step into her being on Instagram
Because we'll be private and I don't
Like I want her to start learning
Yeah
It's a little bit of leeway
Right. Then if she doesn't do well, you take it back.
Well, and look at her. She's super responsible from wherever.
I don't even know where she got this information.
She heard that...
I whispered it in the window.
America was banning TikTok, so she was obedient and deleted it.
Okay. Thank you. We'll see you tomorrow.
Bye, Roddy.
