Starting point is 00:02:50 All right. The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. Some of these stories scare me. By the way, if you're hearing me right now, the show is over. This is, I just turning the mics on after the show. And also, what happens is to, I get a bunch of news dumped on me as the show's ending that I couldn't get to during the show. And I'm like, man, I wish we could have got to this. This woman has a headache.
Starting point is 00:03:09 And like any of us would have a headache and it just bothers us for a long time. We're just like, man, I can't shake it. For me, I had a crazy headache the last couple days. And I don't know if it was like a water. I know if I wasn't sleeping right or if you're sleeping wrong. But this woman's like, oh, something's wrong. It turns out she had brain leakage from doing Pilates. What?
Starting point is 00:03:27 What does that mean brain leakage? A woman suffered a Pilates injury that caused our brain to leak. A medical journal documents the case. Nothing super out of the ordinary happened at first. She felt a pop in her neck during a Pilates class. It turned out to be a brain leak. What the... Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:03:46 You can just do something in your brain start... And what's it leaking? Yeah, that's what I'm saying? Brain fluid? Antifreeze? What's happening in there? Scary. Now I just visualize the worst.
Starting point is 00:03:56 I'm like, oh, I'll see it. I'm going to die. I've never done Pilates, though, of you? Yes. You like it? It's okay. I think I'm going to have to start doing it more from my back. That's what's being recommended to me as part of, like,
Starting point is 00:04:07 physical therapy for my back is Pilates. Because I never found it that it's kind of little tiny pulses, a little boring to me. But I used to think yoga was kind of boring, and then I fell in love with yoga. So I'm sure I'll do the same with Pilates. Anything that you kind of give it a go. It's hard, though.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Plotis is hard. Yeah, I haven't done it. I have a friend that teaches it. I've never done it. I've kind of been off track a little bit working out. I did the bike because the last couple days I've been in Georgia and Missouri working, either doing American Idol or I did a speaking event last night. And I love the gyms that have a Peloton because you can just log into my account. Boy, I just work really wimpy when I can't hear them. Because if you're in a gym, you can't, you don't get to hear it through your ears because they play over out loud. I guess you could Bluetooth it, but I never do that. But I did. But I do. But I do. did it. I was so weak. So weak that when I finished, I deleted my workout from my history. Oh, come on. I don't even pay attention to where I am on the leader board. Oh, well, I'm not on the leader. I'm not on the leaderboard. I'm just up there. I do. I'm trying to, I don't need even been. Like, I think the last class I did, I was like, I don't know, 64th out of a hundred some people. Oh, there's not that many people. Or maybe it was more. But I was 64th. All I know is I was 64th. Well, a lot of times, I was 69th. I was like Buffy would hate this.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Oh, I've drawn me crazy. I felt pretty good about it. Today I get to go back to my gym, which is, I do have a couple title boxing gyms in Nashville that I own. And like, I'm in town for two days, basically. I'll go hit it. Morgan No. 2 works out there. She's going to, like, go teach a class there. You're going to teach a class?
Starting point is 00:05:42 Really? Yeah, maybe. What class? Like, are you certified? Like, do it with the guy who kind of helps train us? Web design. Web design, social media. Hey, she'll beat the crap out of the music.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I know. I'm just wondering what a specialty is. You want to play? No, I don't. She will beat the crap out of you. Don't play with her. She will hurt you. She gave any of us a rib shot.
Starting point is 00:06:06 It's over. But, yeah, it'd be fun. It'd be like celebrity trainer. Yeah. There's a real Jared who is running the gym. He's going to do it with her. But I think it would be cool. You got a Morgan number two class?
Starting point is 00:06:19 Yeah. I mean, I guess let me know when it is. I'll hit it up. We'll all go support. I think we could eventually go and do a big charity thing. We could all just show up. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:06:28 20 bucks, box it out for an hour. Yes. Eddie, you get invited to come. I'll fight lunchbox one-on-one. It'd be great. For charity. For charity. Oh, you guys would do a charity boxing match?
Starting point is 00:06:37 Yeah, just for charity. For the kids. No other reason. Always wants us to pick a fight. We didn't get all dressed up for nothing. We didn't get all dressed up for nothing. Braveheart. I wouldn't do it.
Starting point is 00:06:51 that. You wouldn't? Not even you. Really? And I felt like I'd kill you. Dude, we can do it live on stage, raging idiots. Fight each other. I would rather just donate. I'd rather just donate my own money than get hit, even twice. Yeah, I don't like getting hit, you're right. What if someone's like I'll match your money? But I'm only have one working eye.
Starting point is 00:07:07 But it's for the kids, dude. Can I wear goggles? Yeah, the whole, what about the helmet? Doesn't that protect everything? Oh, possibly. Oh, that cute little, yeah. You two fight, and I'll take the winner right after it. Oh, got two fights in a row. I don't think I can do that. Because I'm going to win the first one, obviously. So I can't do two in a row.
Starting point is 00:07:23 You think you beat him in a boxing match? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, you can believe what you want, dude. You'd be out of gas in about two minutes. What if it was three... I'm like Mike Tyson, though, one round. What if it's three one-minute rounds? No.
Starting point is 00:07:36 That's what a lot of celebrity boxing is. Three one-minute rounds? I could do that. Because they know that people aren't in boxing, boxing shape. Right. Oh, I'm in no shape. Like when Screech fights Jose Canteco. Those are like three one-minute rounds.
Starting point is 00:07:49 That really happens. Yeah. You just have to bob and weave. Yeah. If we could raise how much would you guys box for charity? $5,000. A million? A million? Okay, well. I would do it for $100,000. You're not keeping it, but you say you're raised. Yeah. For the kids. Oh, we don't get any portion of it? No. It's for charity. I get to beat you up.
Starting point is 00:08:06 You don't need money. You guys are fine. For charity. What do you say, champ? I'll tell you, I'll donate the venue. Really? At your gym? Yeah. I'm down. Think about it, lunchbox. Okay. We do like a 24-7 where you document this all the way up to it. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:22 Oh, we get to train. We get to go to Vegas and train. Yeah. Right. Do you even want to go to Vegas and train? Are you friends in Vegas? Casinos. But you go for like six hours because we've got to get this thing rolling.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Probably you could have each one at like trainers at your gym. They could each be assigned one. I'll take Jared. Okay. Well, Jared might want to remain neutral. But you could have trainers come in and train them one-on-one so that it's a fair shot. Listen, if you guys really want to do it, let me know. We'll get it going.
Starting point is 00:08:48 I think about it. Charity fight for St. Jude. Yeah. I'd love that. Or you can pick your own charity and if you win, the money goes there. Oh, wow, that would be so cool. Lunchbox, kid power.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Yeah. You could do it. I know. We'll see. There it is. He's going to think about it. Don't get hurt though. I was reading about people getting hurt
Starting point is 00:09:05 doing Dancing with the Stars. These are 13 celebrities who had to quit Dancing with the Stars because of their injury. Because Ray Lewis went out last week. He had a foot injury in the NFL and he's like, oh, hurt it again. do it. That's a bummer.
Starting point is 00:09:18 Romeo, season two. Then Master P jumped in. Matchy p. got like ones. It was hilarious. Romeo. Romeo. A little Romeo. Yeah. Sarah Evans, season three. And it wasn't even like a body injury. I think her heart was broken because she got a divorce in the middle of the season and was like, I got to go. Oh.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Wow. Misty May. Remember Misty May train her? The volleyball. She's the volleyball. Sam volleyball. She ruptured her Achilles during rehearsal. Nancy O'Dell. Joel
Starting point is 00:09:46 Tom DeLay Dorothy Hamill Bill Nye How long is Bill Nye gonna last that really? I mean he's up there Billy D. Williams That's Lando, right?
Starting point is 00:09:57 Lando Calrissian. Who? Oh yeah. Star Wars. Yeah, yeah. I was thinking Billy D. Williams Wasn't he also in? What else is he in?
Starting point is 00:10:06 I just know him was Lando. Colt 45 commercials back in the day? Is that what it is? Way, way back to the day. Really? Yeah. Wow. Christy Brinkley went out this season and so did Ray Lewis.
Starting point is 00:10:17 I cracked the top of my foot, had a hairline fracture top of my foot, and I did something totally unhealthy. I just took shots. I was like Brett Farve. Dang, dude. I was like, shoot me up. I had to get shot off my shoulder or my foot. And then it really, my shoulder still really hurts because I didn't take care of it the right way.
Starting point is 00:10:32 I just kept training. But I was talking to Lauren, even last night, I was talking to Lauren. We talk almost every day. And so she was like, what do you do if you get hurt? I was like, don't ask me because I did it completely unhealthy. like I call the Titans trainer and I was like A if I can't hurt it anymore
Starting point is 00:10:49 I'm okay to mask it until I'm done with the show I went in got an MRI he's like yep you tore your shoulder but you're not going to tear it anymore if you can deal with the pain and then I just took shots to get the pain
Starting point is 00:11:00 I know I'm a real man because I needed to dance varsity blue stuff I needed to put my my bejewed pants back on do the hammer that would be such a bummer to be practicing that hard.
Starting point is 00:11:13 And then boom, like one practice, something happens to your foot or your ankle or your... I remember feeling my foot go, and I was like, crap. And I went and they tape me all. They can tape you up. It's a barefoot week I did. I kept jumping off a bed under a bare foot.
Starting point is 00:11:29 And finally I went, boop. But, you know me? I don't let broken bones hold me back. No way. Didn't in high school football? I guess I did. I had broken ribs. I quit.
Starting point is 00:11:37 I didn't quit. I was out for three weeks. Broke one rib. That's right. All right, that's it. I think we're done. I've been gone for the past couple days.
Starting point is 00:11:46 At least not working in the studio. So I'm going to, I got a call with Ronnie Dunn. Yeah. In about 20 minutes. About this photo shoot. Can't wait. Yeah, it should be fun, huh?
Starting point is 00:11:59 We're done. Everybody here's tired except for me. I can tell. Amy's checked out. I'm not checked out. Where'd you go, Amy? I'm right here. Wait.
Starting point is 00:12:06 I look over. No, I'm rubbing my shoulder because it hurts. But I'm not checked out. Boobany rub rub rub? Nope. I'm fully engaged. I probably need a shot.
Starting point is 00:12:13 You don't want a shot? You don't want a shot? What are these shots that you have? They're painful? Yes, you're numb and then you're, you can be hurting yourself in different ways. You don't even know. It's like when you get your teeth,
Starting point is 00:12:23 you bite a hole in your lip. Oh, right. You don't even feel it? You don't even feel it until like all your thing comes back. You're like, oh my God, I bit a hole in my lip, I don't even know I can feel it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:29 That kind of crap happens. It's my NFL days, though. All right. That's it. Here is Wednesday show. I hope you enjoy it. Thanks, everybody. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 00:17:06 Morning. So we don't do as many on this day in country music, but man, this one, when I read it this morning, it's pretty wild. All right, here we go. The Bobby Bones Show on this day in country music. Did you know Keith Urban was in a motorcycle accident caused by paparazzi? No, I didn't. That's crazy. I didn't either.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Keith Urban was unhurt when he skitted off his motorbike after a photographer followed him near his home. In a statement, he said the incident was the result of one person's. desire to do his job and my desire to maintain my privacy. Keith Urban said he tried to avoid an oncoming car and dropped his bike, and the photographer came to his assistance without taking photos. He said he felt himself being pursued, so he sped up, and in an effort to avoid an oncoming car. So he had to drop his bike.
Starting point is 00:17:58 Isn't that nuts? I didn't know that. There are a couple of these recent ones. Between the Keith Urban having to lay his bike down and then Travis Trit having to hit out on him, Crazy. Those are wild stories. And I think Mike D. and I were talking before the show. Those are the ones that were like, wow, I can't believe that happened to people that have been around in our lifetime.
Starting point is 00:18:15 For the most part, those are the ones we're going to do for now on when we do this segment. So, yeah, that's wild. And here's a clip of Coming Home from Keith Urban, because you're not familiar with who this artist is. And here's a clip of John Cougar, John Deere, John 316 from Keith Urban. Here you go. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Let me walk you through this. and go to my hotel.
Starting point is 00:18:47 This is on Monday night. I'm checking in for American Idol because we were taping all day Tuesday. And so we were having this dinner where it was the judges, which are Katie Perry, Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, myself and Ryan Seacrest. And so we all hadn't seen each other really in a while. So they say, hey, you guys should have a dinner, get to know each other again.
Starting point is 00:19:13 It's been a while. Actually hasn't been that long, but it's good to see everybody and not be working, you know. And so they're like, go to the hotel, then meet us this restaurant in Savannah, Georgia. Like, cool. So go, I get to the hotel, get off the flight. It's 7 p.m.
Starting point is 00:19:27 And have a room for that day. And I walk in and I'm like, hey, have a room. Bobby, give them my credit card. And they're like, oh, sir, your room's not ready yet. And I'm like, not ready. It's 7 p.m. Yeah. And I said, oh, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:19:43 I'm not supposed to be in tomorrow. supposed to be in today. Like I could have got here at noon. And they're like, yeah, sorry that housekeeper hasn't been up there yet. Your room's just not ready. Can we call you whenever your room's ready? And I'm like, it's 7 p.m.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Nighttime. Like, what time is the room supposed to be ready? Like, what, and I didn't say that. I mean, the latest I've heard is like a 3 p.m. check in. Yeah. And so outwardly, I'm like, oh, well, that is unfortunate. But inwardly, I'm so confused. And I said, so what time are the most of you?
Starting point is 00:20:14 guess chicken and that's what I say. I'm like, what time? What's the time? They're like, well, in the daytime, it could be any time. It could be at night. But 7 p.m. So I'm like, well, I know I got to get to this dinner. I say, can I, you have a bathroom? I can go, get my suitcase with me? Wow. And I'm like, you have a bathroom? I can just go change my clothes in. Thinking maybe they would break me off a bone and be like, you can go into our bathroom here. And they're like, they're like, no, just go to the lobby bathroom is right down. And I'm like, wait, I have, huh? And they're like, yeah, just go on down there. You don't need a key and just hop in, you can get dressed in there, whatever you want. And I'm like,
Starting point is 00:20:49 what if I would have got here at noon or one with the room? Would you guys have rushed? I like, you know, we can only get done, but we can get done. What? That's how they handled it? What would you have done? I mean, especially if I had something to get ready for, I would have been very confused. And especially if their answer was, ooh. It was 7 p.m. It wasn't like, oh, they're- Like, you're supposed to check in right when you go to bed? Like, I'm here to check in and go to sleep immediately. Right. I mean, yeah, I don't understand. why it wasn't ready. I mean, I don't think I would have
Starting point is 00:21:16 overreacted by any means, but I would have been internally frustrated. I don't think I would have voiced anything to them other than just like confusion. Yeah, and that's all I did because it wasn't the guy's fault at the desk. He was like a kid who was working at a hotel
Starting point is 00:21:30 and I was like, man, but this is weird. Like at 7 p.m. And I thought maybe they'd be like, hey, we'll hook you up. You know, hey, rooms. Right. Oh, no, like when you got back to your room later, there wasn't some chocolates. Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:21:41 No. So I went into the bathroom and I just got dressed. The lobby bathroom. Yeah. The lobby of the hotel. You have to like open up your suitcase on the floor. Wide open on the floor.
Starting point is 00:21:51 I'm a weird germ guy anyway. Yeah. But I'm not too good for it. But I was like, man, it's just weird. The hotel room wasn't ready at 7 p.m. No, I'm wondering what was up with that. And then I got a call while I was at dinner from the hotel. And I'm like, I see the hotel calling.
Starting point is 00:22:02 I'm like, hello. And like, hey, we're happy to inform you. It's like 8.30. You're like, your room is now ready. Oh, well, thanks. And I'm like, you know, thank you. Thank you very much. I was just thinking, what if I got there at 1 p.m.?
Starting point is 00:22:13 I'd have been up Poop Creek without a paddle. Right, right. They probably would have got on it, but that's weird. Maybe they overlooked it. We had a really good dinner, though. They didn't send me by Luke, which is good, because Luke and I know each other really well. It's like two bad kids in the class. Well, not even that.
Starting point is 00:22:32 It's just we would have just talked about home stuff, right? And so they kind of put you back in, and I was sitting right next to Lionel Richie, who I love, but I don't get to spend a lot of, individual time with. We talked for like an hour just him and I. It was really the coolest thing. He's the nicest guy.
Starting point is 00:22:46 Like, just so kind. And he's like, Bobby, I get off tour and people like, Lionel, you're not touring anymore. Where are you? And he goes, Bobby, it's not that I'm not touring.
Starting point is 00:22:56 I'm just in Europe. Tour in Europe? I'm in the Middle East. He goes, I'm touring for the oligarchs. And so it was just really cool to hear his story. He's got just one story after the other.
Starting point is 00:23:08 And he has, he'll talk about anything from the Commodores, Did you just ask him? Like, he's so gracious. He was like, let me show you something on my phone. He goes, with me, he goes, yeah, you know, I'm an artist that's considered, you know, a legendary artist as far as I've been around for a long time. And so it's hard to get the youth to know who I am. He goes, but this happened last night.
Starting point is 00:23:26 And he pulls up his phone. And it's Billy Elish talking about him. And when she did S&L, she kind of did a walking on the ceiling because, you know, his song, Walking on a Seel. And he was like, she said that she was inspired by walking on the ceiling. that's the coolest thing that can happen to a guy like me. And I was like, man, they're crazy. I'm like a lot of Richie for like an hour. Awesome. Yeah, it was great.
Starting point is 00:23:49 That's cool. And I was sitting, like, on the other side of me was Luke's manager, who I know really well. Her name's Carrie. And I could feel her, like, she would want to ask me a question or something, but she also was like, like Bobby's having the time of his life talking to Lionel Richie. I'm just going to let him be on his own island. And so it was really great. It was great.
Starting point is 00:24:08 And then we went, we did Idol for two days. in Savannah, Georgia, where it's the first, like, if you made it through the producers, it was the first time you got to go to the judges. So we kind of, they turned on all the equipment for the first time, moved down. We took a big fancy picture, which you can see on my Instagram of all five of us. Yeah, that was legit. Yeah, it was pretty cool. Mr. Bobby Bones, if you want to see that.
Starting point is 00:24:25 But we're now, we're at it. We go to Milwaukee next week, D.C., the week after that, and we're trying to find the next American Idol. Your dinner was just to regroup. Y'all did you all have family dinners at each city. No, not each city. Just like the, you know, when the season starts. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:39 And I kind of I like sitting Because I was right across table from Ryan And I was just watching them eat I was about to say What did everybody order can you say Or is you have to sign something I will not just close
Starting point is 00:24:49 What they eat? Everybody was pretty sensible I think we'll have to fit in TV clothes At this point So we're all like No cheeseburgers Luke just kind of goes Out of boy
Starting point is 00:25:00 Even Luke's lost a little bit of weight Yeah Like everybody's like we're back on TV We got to you know Like TVable So you watched Ryan eat How was that? Well, it was very similar to how I eat.
Starting point is 00:25:11 Because I heard him go, can't have that. Like, I'm waiting to have my, my other, my bad meal on this day. And I do that. Like, I work all week to get that one spot. And if I haven't earned, like, my Thursday night meal, I don't eat it. And I go another week. So that's how I.
Starting point is 00:25:27 You saw him playing that out? Like, he's similar. Sort of. I just felt like same. Like I understood him. Mm-hmm. And so he's only a few years older than I am. So it's not like we're 22 and we just stay healthy without having a lot.
Starting point is 00:25:39 really be healthy. Right. But no, it was really, it was good. What about Lino? What does he to eat? Again, I think Alino had like, tequito? No. I'm not sure. I don't know. You didn't watch him eat? I did. I was sitting right next to him, but I was trying to have to stare at the little things. Because if I was like looking at, with Ryan, I could look at his food. He didn't know I was looking at his food because I was sitting too far away from him. But that whole group in America, they really do get along. Like everyone is, there's some shows, you're like, behind the scenes,
Starting point is 00:26:11 but everybody kind of has their place. And they're all so famous, all four of them. They're all so famous that nobody just dominates the room or demands the room because everybody has such respect for the other person
Starting point is 00:26:20 that if they were by themselves, then I'm sure they would be expected to be the big person in the room. Like if Lionel Richie somewhere, everybody's like, everyone's attention on Lionel Richie. But when there are four people and they're all super famous,
Starting point is 00:26:32 it kind of normalizes the room. I don't say much. Wow. I just am like taking it. I don't say much anyway. When I'm not working, I have a lot to say. Do you guys walk in the restaurant together?
Starting point is 00:26:42 No. Oh, that'd be crazy. If everybody, like, saw everyone walk together like that? They're like a back door. Yes. Oh. So they had us go to a back door. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:51 And their security that, because, again, those four are so, me, I can go anywhere. Nobody cares. But those four are so famous that we go and the security walks us up one by one. And we just get there all around. I mean, I'm always, here's the two people that are always on time are Ryan and me. So we're, I mean, it doesn't matter what the situation is. We're both there. When it's O'clock and the call time is O'clock,
Starting point is 00:27:15 you better believe we're both there. And then the rest, everybody gets there relatively close time. So, but no, it's good. It's good to see everybody. Good to have everybody back. That's a good group. Bobby Bones Show. Big three stories.
Starting point is 00:27:29 Raymondo, what you got? 16 people have now died from vaping related illnesses. States are starting to ban the e-cigarettes. At the New York City Zoo, a woman climbed in the lion exhibit. She posted pictures online. Luckily, she is okay. The woman is going to face various charges.
Starting point is 00:27:44 And finally in sports and baseball, the Washington Nationals won the wild card game against Milwaukee Brewers. Four to three. He'll play the Los Angeles Dodgers next. All right, let's talk to Carly and Austin. Carly, what's happening? Thanks for calling the show.
Starting point is 00:28:00 Hi, Bobby. I was helping to get your advice. All right, go ahead. So I'm getting married in less than three weeks. and my fiance keeps inviting people to the wedding, which I think is inconsiderate for a couple of reasons, and I'm wondering if I'm the rude one or if he is. So he keeps inviting people last minute, right?
Starting point is 00:28:21 Yeah. It's him. He's inviting people. I mean, is it costing you more money because your parents are paying for it? Is that a thing? Yeah, it's costing more money, and I think it's rude to the people.
Starting point is 00:28:33 They're telling them they're basically second string, and we're saying, you weren't initially invited, and if you can't come, can you still give us a gift, basically? Oh, well, there are a lot of layers here. Well, if the reason is because it's costing your parents more money, are your parents paying for the wedding, or are you guys splitting it, or what's the deal there? My parents. Okay, so that gets me a little bit.
Starting point is 00:28:56 If you're putting a cost on someone that they weren't expecting, then I'm like, not cool. However, I don't have a problem with inviting somebody later. If they don't want to come, they don't have to come. Yeah, there's a lot to think about sometimes where you start to run through the list and you think, oh, shoot, we forgot to invite this person and this person and this person. Which part, of all of those, which one bothers you the most? For me, I just feel like it's inconsiderate to the person. I feel like it's saying, and they don't even live in the city.
Starting point is 00:29:25 So it's saying if you can't come, then I still would like for you to give me a gift. That's how I feel. If I were invited late to a wedding and I was invited second, I don't think I would feel the pressure to buy a gift. If I was invited early to a wedding Like in the real, I'd buy a gift if I couldn't come But I just don't think I don't think that would bother me I don't even know if I would buy a gift
Starting point is 00:29:44 If I were a late But again, I wouldn't let it affect me I would say that doesn't bother me If he wants to invite people It's up to them to say yes or no It's up to them to buy a gift I don't really find it to be that rude, do you? Mm-mm, no
Starting point is 00:29:53 I found it to be rude to your parents If they got to spend more money than they were expecting. Right. Are people not coming to the wedding And there are open seats And that's why he's inviting Trying to fill those spots?
Starting point is 00:30:03 Um, kind of yeah. Well, this is what I'm going to say then. I'm going to say that you have to give them a break, let them invite people. If it becomes a thing with your parents where they're saying, hey, we're not comfortable, then you have to reach out. Right. But otherwise, eh. If it's still within the budget. Yeah, and it's so close to your wedding.
Starting point is 00:30:24 It's not worth getting, there's going to be so many things to be irritated and have anxiety about. This isn't one of them. Cool. But if it is something that bothers you, use this as like a chance to practice communication because you will need that all. throughout your marriage. Express how you're feeling and see if y'all can come to an agreement that you both like. How do you feel about that?
Starting point is 00:30:43 I think that's there. I'm not going to tell them to re-listen to this though. In the end, it's not worth to get, there'll be something else pop up that you'll be able to get upset about. You don't want to cash in you're upset on this one. Yeah, pick your battles. I think that's probably my point with this. You good with that, Amy? Yeah, I'm good with it. Out of respect her, but if it's within the budget, let's figure that out because you do have to respect her parents.
Starting point is 00:31:03 They're paying for it. I feel good about that. All right, well, we hope we helped. Thank you. All right? Yep. Bye-bye. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 00:35:00 There wasn't even a, we didn't even ask to get it back. Like it wasn't a thing. It was just like if that part of the conversation came up, we were just like, not a big deal. Just it's a gift. A new survey found that if you lend cash to your loved ones, probably not getting it back and it's going to turn out badly. Right.
Starting point is 00:35:18 I've lent a bunch of money out. I haven't seen a cent back and I used to get irritated about it. Now if someone ask for a loan in my head, that's a gift. That's how you have to look at it or else. They'll hate your family forever. The relationship is, yeah. Lunchbox, you ever loan money out? Yep.
Starting point is 00:35:38 How'd that go? Not good. Never got it back. I got 50 bucks of it back. How much did you loan? We don't have to say. Yeah, we don't want to say. Did you ever pay Morgan?
Starting point is 00:35:49 Who did he owe the money to? Oh, Morgan won. Oh, she didn't work on the show anymore. He got away from that one. No, no, no. I paid her and then she said, don't worry about the rest. So, I mean, yes, I mean, I paid her. I tried to pay her, but she said, don't worry about the rest.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Wasn't it only in a moment of super frustration on this show where she wasn't getting it? She was like, fine, don't worry about the rest. She did the family thing, Amy. That's good. She was like, basically family, don't worry about the rest. So the whole thing is, according to this survey, they did 3,000 people. Most Americans have loaned money to a family member. Most Americans haven't got it back.
Starting point is 00:36:23 So one time, I got a job for a car. That one hurt. Yeah, at a family. And I guess I didn't loan money, but they were like, will you sign this car? And they never paid. And yeah, you know who paid off the whole car? And it wasn't like a crazy new expensive car or anything. But it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:36:42 You know who paid off the whole car me? You know who didn't want to pay off the whole car? Me, you know who never saw the car? Me, ever. I don't even know where it is now. I just know that I couldn't have it on my credit. Yeah, that's a tough one. That's a tough one, man.
Starting point is 00:36:55 But you learned. I mean, especially for co-signing. I learned and I'm bitter. Oh, okay. I shouldn't be because this survey tells me not to be. You got to let that go. But I learned and I'm bitter, man. All right.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Don't co-sign for anybody unless you're just going to take it all on yourself, right? Unless it's a gift. Yeah. It's a gift. I basically gifted someone a car. All right, now I'm frustrated, so I'm just going to play a song. I don't want to get back into this place. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.

Starting point is 00:38:17 The Bobby Bones show. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So a Tennessee boy lost all of his belongings, all of his toys, everything in a big house fire, everything destroyed. Well, his teachers and his classmates secretly held a toy drive without him even knowing. And when he showed back out at school, he walked in the classroom and everyone yelled surprise. And there was tons of toys and everything to replace all that he lost sitting on a big table.
Starting point is 00:38:46 That's awesome. Mm-hmm. Man, that fire. I know that'll get you. When I was in, man, what were we in? Second or third grade, my friend Kristen, he lived in my neighborhood and my classmate, my friend, everything, their house burned to the ground.
Starting point is 00:39:01 And it was crazy. They lost everything. Some of my stuff, like my favorite t-shirt with sneakers on it and orange shorts, they were at her house. It was not hard for, it was not hard for me to lose that. Like, I could care less. But, I mean, it literally, like,
Starting point is 00:39:17 there was nothing. They had nothing. And I just, everyone, like our neighborhood, stepped in and helped her. I'm not saying this is... We really, we all started to feel bad for you. No, no, no, yeah, yeah. That's not why I was bringing that up.
Starting point is 00:39:29 I just had flashback to that. Guys, if you don't mind donating back to the Amy Foundation. She really struggled a great bit in the fire. They really were the cutest shorts. It was my favorite outfit. And it was her else. No, really. It was nothing, obviously, for me to lose that.
Starting point is 00:39:43 But I just remember our neighborhood and stuff, everyone's stepping up and helping them out. And it was great. That's good. All right. That's what it's all about right there. Rest and peace for my worn shorts. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:39:54 Lobby Bones Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes with us from Rock Island, Illinois. A man was moving from Illinois down to Kentucky, and he was like, man, how am I going to get there? I think I'll just float down the Mississippi River. Oh, wow. So he got a big old log, got out in the middle of the river, and thought he would float from Illinois to Kentucky.
Starting point is 00:40:14 On a log, too? On a log. I guess he didn't have many belongings or he shipped him. I don't know, but he didn't have a car. So he thought he could take a log from Illinois and someone saw him and called police and the fire department rescued him out of the middle of the Mississippi River. Wow.
Starting point is 00:40:30 This guy trying to go full Tom Sawyer or what? Huck Finn. Yeah. They did say he tried to channel his inner Huckleberry Finn. There you go. Wow. I mean. He'd have been awesome though.
Starting point is 00:40:43 He'd probably got like a Netflix special. Totally. But he didn't. Yeah, there you go. All right, that's a bonehead for you. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Mr. Bobby Bone. Amy will read me a 90s country song from the first lyric. We'll see how fast I can get the song. Okay? Yep. That's it. This one dude set a world record with Taylor Swift songs. I'm going to take on a whole genre and a whole decade.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Yeah. Raymondo thinks I will get somewhere around 12. Yes. In 60 seconds. Okay, Mike, do you run the timer over there? Okay. Amy's got the question. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Let's go. Hold on. What's that? Stretching? I got to kind of be in the zone here. Does that stand up? Sure. When we play Amy or we play when Bobby's money out, I would always stand up.
Starting point is 00:41:41 Okay. And go. Well, she seemed all right by Dawn's early light. Independence Day. Out in the country past the city limit. I've known a few guys who thought they were pretty smart, but you've got to be right down to our... Spent four.
Starting point is 00:41:56 $48 last night at the county. I like it. I love it. He was working through college on my grandpa's farm. Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee. Who doesn't know what I'm talking about? Who's never left home? Who's plowing these fields in the hot summer sun?
Starting point is 00:42:12 Creel Williams lived down a dirt road. You can tell the world you never was my girl. Thank you, breaking your heart. Baby, all I've got is this beat-up leather bag and everything. How do I get through one night without you? I remember it all very well looking back. It was summer. I turned 18. It was 700 fence posts from your place.
Starting point is 00:42:31 She's got every quality from A, all the. Katie's sitting on her old front porch watching the chickens peck the ground. She's in love with the boy. I've known, I know I've disappeared a time or two along the way I lost me and you. Every time our eyes meet this feeling inside me is almost more than I can take. I know you're... How did I get? 14.
Starting point is 00:42:51 Wow, dude. I didn't get 27 though. The 14, that's better than I thought. that right you bet they over i was actually leaning under i can't believe you got over that that is crazy what did i listen we have to go i don't even know i don't even know i just trusted what you're saying was the right if you guessed it i just kept on you don't even know if i got him right oh yeah i don't know 100 no he does okay my idea when you keep it up right yeah how many did i get 14 how do we feel it i don't know how it's not 14's impressive that's impressive i thought you
Starting point is 00:43:21 get 18 but oh come on why would you say that i believed in you all of these People had you at like 10. Way under. Yeah. I don't know how I feel about myself right now. So you met in the middle. From the lowest to what I thought you were 14, that's perfect. You're the average of what we expect for you.
Starting point is 00:43:37 I don't like to be the average. That really bothers me that I didn't. What? That's a lot. 14 and 60 seconds. And one day practice? Come on, dude. I feel like I let everybody down, especially Amy.
Starting point is 00:43:48 What? You didn't let me down. That was impressive. I couldn't. The only one I would have got was Chattahoochee, and that's because the words in it. All right. Well, what else? Anything else? No. Are there any other ones you want to read up there?
Starting point is 00:44:00 Just trying for fun? Sure. Go ahead. I can feel the magic floating in the air. Being with you gets me that way. Mm-mm. Pass. I'd have passed that one. Rolling down a backwoods, Tennessee highway, one arm on the wheel, holding my lover with the other. Have a little love on a little honeymoon. You got a little dish. You got a little spoon. Little bitty, right? I said I want to touch the earth. I want to break it in my hand.
Starting point is 00:44:23 So you're not sample right or not. Oh, sorry, little bitty, yeah. Okay. What you did do in the game is. Because I had to say so focused, I didn't want him to lose one second on me being like, correct. Right? Because the guy in the audio clip didn't do that. Well, you put the audio clip back.
Starting point is 00:44:38 Yeah. Let's see it. Here you go. Red. There's gifts on the floor. New Year's Day. My car's crumbled over night. Call him what you want.
Starting point is 00:44:46 He was the best of times. Get away car. Stayed the obvious. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Thank you. I was just doing like the example.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Okay. We feel okay about all that? Yeah. All right. Should be proud of yourself, dude? Should I, though? Yes, that was good. Dancing in the dark, middle of the night.
Starting point is 00:45:02 I'm done playing. Dancing in the dark, middle of the night. Yeah. Okay, I'm done. It's your love. It's your love. We just singing. Yeah, we feel good about that one.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Okay. Give me another one. I was driving through Georgia in late July on a day hot enough to make the devil's sigh. Watermore, yeah. Driving through Georgia. Is that right? Yeah. I bet you've never heard.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Herrtle Marshall Dillon say, Miss Kitty. Ever thought about running away? Bet you never heard. Yeah, that's good. She turned up her nose that she walked by Mike had a lack. Some girls do. Oh, yeah, I didn't know that. Not all but some girls do.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Oh, don't act like you get it. Now after she said it, I just wanted to sing it. It's a Bobby Bones show. All right, creepy or not, go. Okay, so Ben, my husband was driving past this park and he saw like a, I don't know, Little League football practice going on and he wanted to just stop and watch it. So he stopped, he got out, he went over, was watching, and one of the parents said, oh, which one of the kids is yours? And he said, none of them.
Starting point is 00:46:07 So then the parent looked at him like he was a weirdo for wanting to just watch the kids practice. And for him, it was like a nostalgic thing. He played football growing up. We have a son now. He isn't into football yet, or maybe he never will be, but it's something. think my husband's always wanted a kid to play. So I think he just was stopping to see like, what's practice like? How can I get my son into this? And look at these kids out there having fun. And that was it.
Starting point is 00:46:35 But he got home and just felt like that parent was judging him for watching football, even though he didn't have any kids out there. So then he started to feel like maybe it was creepy? Yeah. Like, you know, the guy that goes to watch kids practice that doesn't have a kid, could be considered creepy. Could be, but I don't think it is. Right, because he doesn't look creepy.
Starting point is 00:46:55 Well, that's a big part of it too. That's what I said. I said, well, if you, nothing about you right now, I looked at him, what he's wearing. Nothing about you looks creepy at all. So, you're fine. But. I think also creepy is in the heart of the person calling the person a creep. Right, maybe.
Starting point is 00:47:15 What would you think if there was an adult watching your kids play soccer that didn't have any kids? If I said, if there was a man standing there. But it was lunchbox. She played soccer as a kid. kid. Okay. If I'm sitting there. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:47:25 He's by himself. And you want me to go up to lunchbox? And then I'm going to say, oh, so which kid is yours? And he goes, none of them. Okay. What would you think? I think maybe it's a little bit creepy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:37 So now that you say that, which... I know. So maybe she had every right to be a little concerned as to who this man was watching her kid and other kids play football. Was he out of the car, though? Yes. He's standing there. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:49 I think that's better than if you're in the car. That's real creepy. That's real creepy. That's real creepy. Okay, so he didn't mind being seen. Right, he didn't mind being seen. You could take a picture of him. You could identify him on a police line.
Starting point is 00:47:59 Like, all those things matter. Right, okay, okay, okay. I'm going to say this that because his heart wasn't in it for a creepy reason, that it's not creepy. Right. Okay. So he can keep doing it? Absolutely. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:10 I'm going to say, but he also has to be ready because people are going to come up with questions. Right. Like, hey, where's your kid? Now he can say, bathroom. Oh, he's going to lie? I don't know. If he doesn't want to feel creepy. I know he doesn't have to lie.
Starting point is 00:48:23 He could take Stevenson with him, I guess. Even if he wants to watch by himself, that's fine. Okay. But people are probably going to question it. Just so he knows people are still going to be like, hey, adult man, this is by himself. Right. Watching kids. They have her right to also question that.
Starting point is 00:48:37 But he can also just say, my friend's kids at their plan. Well, that's also another lie. I know. We don't want to lie. No, we're not going to lie. I agree. Don't lie. He was just say, yeah, just, he should just, if the person really makes him feel uncomfortable
Starting point is 00:48:50 about it, he can just be honest. Like, I played football. was a kid, I miss football, I love football, I want my kid to play football, my kid doesn't play. So now I'm having to watch other kids. That's so weird. I don't know. The more we talk about it, because it's not creepy, but it's not, it's not creepy. But the more we talk about it, it does feel a little creepy.
Starting point is 00:49:10 I mean, it's not creepy. I'm telling you what I tell you. But it does, the more we talk about it. Okay, then let's stop talking about it because now he's going to think it's creepy and he can't do it. And I don't want him to feel like it can't do it. If that's something he enjoys doing, I want to be. If he enjoys watching it. If he enjoys watching kids play football.
Starting point is 00:49:24 Kids that aren't his. Just random kids. What if it was like? A dance class. Amy, you're just talking us into a bad spot. Ramundo, what are you thinking about this? Creeper or not? I mean, he's a sports fan.
Starting point is 00:49:43 He watches players on TV. So what if they're a little younger? No, come on. Raymundo works out of elementary school playground. I can't. This is just starting to sound so bad, especially if you insert other sports. Like, it's okay if it's football, but if it's like ballet, he can't. What if he's really into ballet?
Starting point is 00:50:03 Who's his kid out there? Okay. I say he can do it, but only if it's daytime practice. No nighttime. Okay. And how's that a condition? That's fine. It's the lights are on.
Starting point is 00:50:14 Stay home. That's where we'll leave it. Okay. Sounds good. All right. You can go to our Facebook page and comment on this if you want. just go over to facebook.com slash Bobby Bone Show, which by the way, let me update you on this. You know, I said Eddie and I would go to your dad's assistant living facility and play a concert
Starting point is 00:50:30 for the old folks. Yes. I was thinking about this. Because Eddie and I were in a comedy band called The Raging Idiots. It's just us too. What if, because Johnny Cash did live at Folsom Prison? Yes. What if we did a live record live at the...
Starting point is 00:50:44 Sunrise Senior Living. Sunrise. That's what I'm talking about. Just like Johnny Cash did and played for the prison. Listeners, Eddie and I go and we play for the assisted living elderly. Yeah. Just to give them a message, like, we're here for you. They may not understand you, but we do.
Starting point is 00:50:57 Yes. Find out if they'll let us record, like a live comedy record out there. We'll go and do a few songs. All right. If they'll let us, we'll go and do our version of Folsom Prison. Hello. We're the raging idiots. Hello.
Starting point is 00:51:08 Yes. Live. San Quentin Prison. He did it. Why can't we do it? Exactly. Okay. Sounds good.
Starting point is 00:51:14 Is that funny? Yeah. What's it called, Amy? Sunrise Senior Living. Yeah. They're national, too. The raging idiots live from Sunrise Senior Living in Franklin, Brentwood, Tennessee. Brentwood.
Starting point is 00:51:25 It's the Brighton Gardens. Perfect. Too many words. Right, I know. You can just narrow it down to sunrise senior living. Starting point is 00:55:08 Here's Amy's pile of stories. So about 16 students are expected to be okay after mistakenly being injected with insulin, which if you don't, if you're non-duty. diabetic and you don't need insulin, it'll, you'll start feeling shaky and cold. Your blood sugar drops dramatically. Wait, why did they get? They were getting, they were supposed to get a test for TB. Like, I don't know, that's what they were at school to do. It's like part of, I guess, they're finding out information on the kids. And then boom, they get injected with insulin. They're still researching how this mistake happened. Yeah, they should do that. That's probably
Starting point is 00:55:45 something they should invest their time in is research on, right? My kids are getting insulin. I'm like, what? Were they labeled wrong? Oftentimes I spelled tuberculosis, INS-S-U-L-I-N. Yeah, I know. ST-B-S-S-T-E-S-T-T-S. Did I spell that right anyway? Yeah, I think you did.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Insulin? Was what originally was supposed to be done, but yeah, they got injected with insulin. Anybody get sick or really hurt? Everybody okay? Well, no, they just didn't know what was wrong with them. Like, they just started to get cold and shaky and did not feel good.
Starting point is 00:56:11 And then they realized when it started happening to multiple kids, they were like, oh, this is a problem. And then they ended up at the hospital and found out they'd been injected with insulin. All right. Yeah. So Uber, this is cool. They're testing out a tool that lets passengers record audio from a ride if they feel unsafe, which
Starting point is 00:56:28 I've been in an Uber before and felt unsafe and I just got out. But what do you mean record audio? Because I can just hit my phone and record audio. So in the app, they have a safety toolkit. I mean, you could do that. But it's within the app. So it'll immediately get sent to Uber. So it's like they know that it happened on an Uber ride because you're in the Uber
Starting point is 00:56:45 right. I guess you could just record your phone at any time and be like, this happened. So, yeah, I mean, it could be an option just to keep people more safe in Ubers. Have you ever felt unsafe in an Uber? Amy, I got to be honest with you. I'll never feel unsafe. Okay, okay. Yeah, right, I feel unsafe all the time.
Starting point is 00:57:02 I'm unsafe right now with you guys. I'm always on high alert. You know, Uber drivers, you get great ones and it's like, wow, I hit the jackpot. But sometimes you get in and you go, how did this person even, one time, this will happen. So I have a, my work account is attached to my phone. and my normal account's attached to my phone is two different credit cards in my Uber and so I'm in and with my work account
Starting point is 00:57:24 I'll get the nice cars I order the black the yeah the Cadillacs and we're doing a work thing and I'm in New York and dude to hit it and I get in the black car the Cadillac well and except it pulls up and it's like a 1993
Starting point is 00:57:39 Pontiac windblower I don't even that's a car and I'm like well this is not what's on my app and so I look down and the guy's like get on in! And I'm like like, well, this is not my app. And so I get in the car and he goes, how you doing? I was like, good.
Starting point is 00:57:54 He said, what's my car saying in that Uber app? And I was like, well, it's just Cadillac. But apparently I'm in a Pontiac windblower. And he's like, oh, I should probably change that, huh? And I'm like, yeah, you probably should. And then he goes, yeah, don't worry about it. It's going to charge you for the Cadillac, but I'll get that fix. I'm like, it doesn't help me if you get a fixed.
Starting point is 00:58:12 Yeah, no, that's weird. Yeah, the whole situation was weird. It felt a little shady. Like he borrowed a Cadillac to. to go and take his test, and then he never got back in it. Right. So, yeah, whatever. It was fine.
Starting point is 00:58:23 I ended up being safe, but a little bit, I was like, what's happening? And where am I going? Oh, what you could have recorded it? Or you could now record it. Yeah, but I would have not used it for that. I just brought it in here. I've been like, guys, listen to this clip. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:58:33 Okay, so there was this out of control food, out of control food truck at O'Hare Airport. Like, it... Is that what that was swinging around? Yes, if you saw a video. So a guy that was on the tarmac on a plane ended up catching this with his cell phone and took video. And there wasn't a driver in the
Starting point is 00:58:48 food truck, but the accelerator had gotten stuck. And it was doing hardcore circles where it was going so fast that people couldn't jump in it and it was almost ready to hit a plane on the tarmac. It was about to hit a jet. And obviously this is like a safety concern. I mean, there's fuel on tarmacs. There's people. Like, it was bad.
Starting point is 00:59:05 So a quick thinking employee was driving another truck and decided to just ram into the thing to stop it. Yeah, it was like a luggage truck or one of those little machines. It wasn't like a regular truck. It was one of those tool trucks that they drive around. The one's like the pools of plane or something. One of those, it's like a small red thing and he drives into the bottom of it and shuts it down. And all these people that were trying to like figure it out, because it looked like a cartoon.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Like when this thing was spinning around, the music of, Bada-na-na-da-da-da-da-da-da-na-da-da-da-da. That's what probably should have been playing. But yeah, you crashed into it and it was good. Yeah, and O'Hare Airport, very busy. And with all of this drama, just one flight ended up being delayed for about 10 minutes. That's it. So that's good.
Starting point is 00:59:47 Well, good for them. Yeah, and good for that quick-thinking employee to ram into it. I'm Amy, that's my pile. There you go. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:00:03 A video of a homeless opera singer belting out a song in Los Angeles and a subway station went viral this week. And pretty much changing her life. Her name's Emily. And she used to make money playing her violin on the street. Some jerk tried to steal the violin. and broke it, which is a big deal because it's really all she had. It's how she made a living. So her only choice was to start singing for money.
Starting point is 01:00:26 It turns out not only she played violin, but she also has a great voice. Here's a clip of her here. A cop in Los Angeles happened to see her in the subway last week. Then the LAPD posted the video on Twitter. It blew up, like close to a million views. A reporter in Los Angeles tracked her down, and she was shocked when someone said, hey, you were on TV. Since then, she found a place to say,
Starting point is 01:00:54 Someone has hooked her up with a new violin. She's booked at least one singing gig and someone started to GoFundMe page that raised a ton of money already. Wow. So, yeah, good for her. She didn't even know it wasn't on purpose. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Who steals a violin? From a homeless woman who's out just playing on the street. Unless they're homeless. I was thinking another homeless person that needs to play. This took violin lessons and has no way to... I don't know.
Starting point is 01:01:21 I like how this all ends up. Other people looking out for her. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 30 Second Skinny. According to reports, Dan and Shea performed at Justin Bieber's wedding in South Carolina on Monday, and Justin even jumped in and performed with them.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Well, that would be exciting. I did see they were at Bieber's wedding. I talked to Dan last night. I'm not going to act like I'm not. I talked to Dan from Dan and Jay last night for a little bit. Yeah, so they were there. Obviously they were there. It's on their Instagram.
Starting point is 01:01:56 Yeah, I don't know what I can say about that. It's one of those situations where I just know too much. And if I say the wrong thing, but it's going to be really cool for them. You can Google their new music and see some rumors about some stuff. What's out on your, let me just ask you what you know. I know too much too, so I'm just going to. I don't like that.
Starting point is 01:02:15 That's why I don't like so many people hit me up. Like, hey, can I play this? That's why I don't listen to new music because I don't like to know more than our listeners do because then I can't say what I know. and then I feel dishonest. Oh, I didn't know. I'm glad y'all are reminding me that people didn't know.
Starting point is 01:02:27 About their new song? Yeah. Maybe people know about it. I don't know. We all know too much. Especially even I was texting with Dan's wife Abby on Sunday night and she's like, I didn't know
Starting point is 01:02:39 that was the wedding she was going to, but she's like, oh, trying to figure out a dress for a black tie wedding I have to go to. So I sent her some, she was like, oh, I should have rated your closet. So I sent her some dress options, but they were short. She goes, they're requesting it be long.
Starting point is 01:02:52 Like it has to be a lot. long dress, literally had no show my husband we helped pick out. I know what dress she wore, but I had no idea that was for Justin Bieber's wedding. Ah, that's crazy. Well, let's just say this. There's some music coming out and could be something to do with that. Yeah. All right, what else, Morgan number two? Last night at John Party's show in Nashville, John brought out Brooks and Dunn to perform his collaboration from their reboot album, My Next Broken Heart. John Party playing guitar and boy, that's some terrible audio. I mean, with somebody outside place when they recorded that.
Starting point is 01:03:31 That'd be awesome, though. I love those guys. I love John Party. I was sad I couldn't go to the show. Not that I maybe could have on a Tuesday night, but John's a good bud, and it was a big deal to him to get to headline the rhymingment. So I'm glad that Brooks and Dunn showed up.
Starting point is 01:03:43 That's pretty cool. What else? Lady Annabellum and Clint Black are two of the artists chosen to be inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame, and they're going to be formally inducted during a ceremony in Nashville on October 22nd. Well, congratulations to them. Pin-a-Rose on their nose. Yeah, about time for Clint Black.
Starting point is 01:03:59 It's the walk of fame. I don't know what the rules are for the walk of fame. Do you have to walk it a few times? Yeah, maybe he's never walked to him before. Yeah, maybe the guy. All right, there you go. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny.
Starting point is 01:04:09 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Boll. Okay, over to Amy for the Morning Corny. Let's go. The Morning Corny.
Starting point is 01:04:29 What's the Skeleton's favorite musical instrument? What's a skeleton's favorite musical instrument? The trombone. Oh, man. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? Right on the nose.
Starting point is 01:04:40 On the nose. Well, you know. That was the morning corny. You know what I like to do in October. What's that? Like skeleton jokes, Halloween jokes. Oh, theme. Yes.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Oh. I love when I've got a theme. Oh, okay. So expect that. Halloween for the next month. Oh, boy. Tell us on October 2nd. Great.
Starting point is 01:05:02 I do want to bring on Richard Lawson, who's on the phone here. Richard Lawson is standing by. Hey, Richard, where do you live? In Colorado. Okay. Any town there, or do you just call it the whole state home? Oh, fountain. Fountain, Colorado.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Represent here today, boys and girls. Okay, well, we were trying to figure out the secret sound from yesterday, and we got Richard's information, so we're going to see if we can do this together. Play the secret sound from yesterday, Ramundo? Okay. I don't know, what did I think that was? Razor, right? Oh, a face rate.
Starting point is 01:05:40 And Amy, you thought it was. The dryer buzzer. Richard, what did you think that was? Bobby, my daughter plays along with it, too. She listens to you guys every morning with me in the car. Yeah. And she thought the same thing as you. She thought it was a razor.
Starting point is 01:05:56 Yeah. And I guess it was a tattoo gun. Oh, my gosh. Oh, a tattoo gun. And so you went over to bobbybones.com and wrote that end of the page? Yes, sir. Well, you're right, and you won, Richard. That's awesome, man, thank you.
Starting point is 01:06:14 Look at you. Wow. You won. We're going to send you and a friend, and you're going to go, we're going to send, dude, we're going to hook it up so hard. You're going to get tickets. You're going to get airfare. You're going to get hotel.
Starting point is 01:06:24 You're going to go to this show, which you're basically, like, in the wine country, and you'll watch people like Marin Morris, Morris, Kelsey Ballerini, Avril Levine. It's going to be, like, the craziest thing you've ever done. And you literally won just by listening and going. going to Bobby Bones.com and guessing a tattoo gun. How nuts is that, Richard? That's crazy, man.
Starting point is 01:06:44 My daughter is sitting here listening as well, and she's just grinning from here to ear, man. It's cool. Well, I appreciate you listening, and I'm glad you're on because you just heard it on the radio and went over. It was not hard to do, right? No, man, just went on byBones.com and typed it in, man. Did you ever think that you would win this contest like that?
Starting point is 01:07:07 Not at all, man That's right, buddy did! Yeah! Look at this guy! Richard Lawson, our winner from yesterday's secret sound which was, let's play one more time, a tattoo gun, listen closely.
Starting point is 01:07:23 You ever got any tattoos, Richard? Yeah, I got... I got a few, too, and I hear that now and I go, yep, that's not a sound that I even liked, because it's just like... Okay, Richard... It's going to stick with you. You're sitting there listening to that gun
Starting point is 01:07:36 the whole time. It sticks with you. The whole time. Okay, we're going to... We're going to put you on hold. Do we need to keep them for a minute rate? We have his info already. So we got the info.
Starting point is 01:07:44 We have your info. Richard, we will be in touch real soon. Congratulations, buddy. You just won yourself a trip. Thank you, Bobby. Thank you, studio.
Starting point is 01:07:51 We're welcome. We don't know how to yell back at that one. We're not trained on that one. We're very... All right, Richard, see you, bud. All right, bye-bye. All right, there he is.
Starting point is 01:08:01 Ah, nice. Look at that. I do have Meredith on who... Meredith was listening to us talk earlier, and Amy was like, is my husband creepy for going on and watching kids practice football, like pee-week kids, because he didn't have a kid on the team.
Starting point is 01:08:13 No. But we played, is it creepy? Hey, Meredith, what did you think about that segment? Hi, Bobby. Hi, everyone. Hey. I thought it was hysterical because I'm that mom who would have asked, oh, who's your kid? Because I hadn't seen him there before.
Starting point is 01:08:31 I have three kids, and I'm always, like, looking out for creepers, and I am suspicious of everyone. So I thought it was really funny. But then it's interesting to see, like, the other side of it. Like, he just wanted to stop and watch. And that. So I just had to call in because I thought that was so funny. Well, I appreciate that. And I still think you should go up to people and be like, just ask them straight up.
Starting point is 01:08:55 Are you a creep? And if they say no, cool. Trust him. But yeah, because all creeps have to admit it. That's the golden rule of creep I've heard. It's like if someone asks you if you're a creep, you got to admit to it. Well, hey, I appreciate that call. Where do you live, Meredith, in Florida?
Starting point is 01:09:10 Seminole, Florida. Seminole, we love it. Yeah. Yeah. We love that wind there. Mm-hmm. You know, we think it should roll. We love you.
Starting point is 01:09:19 We do think we roll, roll, Seminole win. Yeah. Roll like it's never going to roll again. Yeah. All right, bye. Have a good day. All right.

Starting point is 01:14:23 That in part helped me a little bit. At first I was like, sure do we got to pee. But that end part really helped me a little bit. So hit me with that again. Yeah, I just asked Mike D. I get it right? That's right. Sure did. Wow.
Starting point is 01:14:42 First time. Yeah, you did. So, all you have to do is go to bobbybones.com, type in what you think that secret sound is, and that's it. And we just pick somebody randomly that gets it right. I mean, it's the easiest contest. I was it was harder. But that's it.
Starting point is 01:14:55 It's Morgan number two, when they go to the website, it's the first thing they see. Yep, they'll see it right there. All right. Can you get to it on your phone? Yes. Okay, I knew you could. I just wanted to do. People would be like, can I play on my phone?
Starting point is 01:15:04 I forgot we're streaming the show so they could see what you signed. What did I do? Your signal of what you thought it was. Oh, I forget people watch us too. I was Austin and I saw the video. I'm like, oh, gosh, you just did that on the stream. Oh, I asked Mike Died what it was, and I did what I thought it was by just acting it out? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So if you were watching,
Starting point is 01:15:24 then I probably gave you a big hint. I forget cameras are in here. I know, me too. That must be what it's like to be on real world. You just forget and live your own life. Yeah. Okay, there you go. That's secrets. One more time. Remindo for those in the back. There you go, Bobbybones.com. Quickly, our draft tomorrow. I got a few options. I'm going to let you pick.
Starting point is 01:15:49 Okay. By the way, I won yesterday with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Yeah. Thank you very much. Good win. You can pick tomorrow's draft. I've got four options for you. We can do Tom Hanks movies. Oh, so good.
Starting point is 01:16:04 Right? And there's enough. Yes. Right? We can do smells. Think about that. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:16:13 What? Smells you really like. Oh, smell, okay. Because there's also not a website you can go to and type in it. What are good smells? Right.
Starting point is 01:16:19 I know that's what all you guys do. No, but there's America's favorite scents. Hmm. What are the other two, Mike? There's... Well, I can't... I mean, if we're choosing between those two. Cartoons and one-hit wonders.
Starting point is 01:16:36 Okay. So which of those four would you like? Tom Hanks movies, one-hit wonders, cartoons, or smells. Come on, Amy. I'm going to go with Tom Hanks movies. Yeah. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 01:16:46 You've chosen. Yeah. Are there that many Tom Hanks movies? Oh, yeah. There are a lot of movies. And I guess he just has to be in it. Yeah. Or I guess he could have directed it.
Starting point is 01:16:55 Oh, I mean, there are no rules. There are no rules. Or maybe just movies he's seen. Every movie. Okay, tomorrow we will do Tom Hanks movies in our draft. The score right now is Morgan and Lunchbox have five. Me, Ramundo, and Amy. I have three.
Starting point is 01:17:13 And Eddie, two. Listen, I was with you. I was with you in the caboose yesterday. It ain't fun in a caboose. It's not. Now I'm dead last. Wait, who's out tomorrow? Oh, Ray's out tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:17:25 Well, yeah. Oh, you think candy corn in the first round. Yeah, that sunk the ship right there. Yeah. We told you. Well, I was going for the older listeners. Okay. You were targeting your answers?
Starting point is 01:17:36 Yeah, and a lot of the tweets I got, people that were in their 40s, 50s love candy corn. That's older to you out there? I mean, like 90. I was doing something that's been around the longest, not nerds, some of these things that were created five years ago. You think nerds were created five years ago? Or like the Reese's pumpkin? Those have been out for maybe two years. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:54 No, that's not true. I think you're just saying words right now. Okay, tomorrow morning. We'll do that. We'll do. Tom Hanks movies. Yep. All right.
Starting point is 01:18:02 There you go. There's a video I retweeted. It's an audition for Australia's got talent. On this show, you can basically do anything if they think there's a shot, people will buy tickets to it. Puppets, singing, dancing. Well, this one guy, they call him a strong man. You know how strong man is?
Starting point is 01:18:22 Yeah. He's just big dudes who can lift all kinds of crazy stuff. So he's moving these big concrete balls on stage, and he has like these tires. and there are these humongous, I think there's 350-pound concrete balls. So he rolls the ball out, and then his job is to squat down, wrap his arms around it,
Starting point is 01:18:39 pick it up and lay it on the stand. And they're humongous. So this is him rolling the ball and putting on the tires. Wow. Oh, my gosh. 150 kilos. No way.
Starting point is 01:18:54 This is some big balls. Is that the ax? So he's rolling these out, and they're like, wow, How's he even doing this? Massive. Well, then as he sits both balls beside each other, he then takes this big piece of wood.
Starting point is 01:19:06 It looks like a door, and he puts it on top of it. And then he sits down, and they're like, what's he about to do now? Massive dude. Looks like a professional wrestler. And then he does this. I'm in love with you. I see infatuation.
Starting point is 01:19:27 Right in the thick of love. Time to get sick of love. It seems like we argue every day. I know I'm to speak. Then we made your mistakes We've all still got Crazy I didn't know what he was going to do with these
Starting point is 01:19:45 I mean he's He looks like a 90s Wrestler They were all roided out I don't know I'm not saying he's roared it out But he looked like that He's that big Yeah
Starting point is 01:19:53 And he gets up and just Listen to this Turn it up here We're just going to I felt like I've seen everything And I was like shocked They walked me down one trail And then threw me to the other real quick
Starting point is 01:20:10 We'll put it up at bobbygones.com Take it slow Take it slow Hey, sing it John Yeah So anyway, you got that I saw that, thought that's pretty awesome Let's go over to Lex in Chicago
Starting point is 01:20:25 Lex, appreciate your calling What's going on? Good morning, how are you guys doing? Pretty good Lex, you know, I thought you'd be a dude To be honest with you Oh, I mean, I can change my voice if you want I can kind of be dutely
Starting point is 01:20:38 Yeah, let's try that No, Lex, what do you want to say? Okay, sure So I had a Thai Marches-on moment yesterday, and I never thought I would because I'm only 28. Well, I mean, I thought I would eventually, but I'm 28 years old. So my cousin posted something about a boy, and my younger cousin, and she goes, why does he have to make everything, you know, so complicated in, like, kind of those words? Well, me being smart out, like, I was like, huh, Apple Levine's been asking that question for years.
Starting point is 01:21:07 And she goes, who? And her friend goes, I think you mean Adam. And I was like, oh my God, they legitimately don't know who Aberleven is. And it kind of like blew my mind. But I, you know, I sent them a link and they're like, yeah, no. Like, we don't know who this is. So it was a really sad moment for me. You know, you got to wonder, because Avrilavine was probably really blew up in 2002.
Starting point is 01:21:30 And that's been 17 years. Man. Which is a lot. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That is a time marches on for us. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:38 Yeah. She's 15. So, like, you know, you don't think of. about it. Like with my friends, they would have been, oh, ha, ha, you're funny. I mean, maybe, but they would have at least known. Maybe what. Yeah, well, time march is on. Lex, thank you for sharing that with us. Appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:21:51 Thanks. Thanks. Thanks. Have a good day. You too. Morgan number two, you're 25. Admiral Levine, will you ever a part of that? Oh, yeah. Skater Boy? That song was a jam. I did think that that was quite the deep song. Hmm. Well, first time I heard Skater Boy, I was like, that's a deep song. What are the lyrics to that? Well, because he's just a skater boy. She said see you later boy, right? Because he wasn't good enough. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:22:12 You know, so then all of a sudden, all this, you know, he's cool. I forget how it actually ended. Yeah, I forget. He forget. He forgets why. The whole moral of the story is don't judge somebody early thinking they're, you know, not good enough for you. When in the end, they're grinding away and all of a sudden when they're good enough, they blow up, you're like, oh, now they're good enough for me.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Yeah. Yeah. That's not how to do it. No. Probably like your family on Facebook. People get them seen a long time. They're like, Amy, come some concert tickets. I mean, it happens sometimes. Yeah. Yeah, all this. You're like skater boy. You're basically living the skater boy life. Thanks for hanging out with us. By the way, you want to be part of the show 877 Bobby. The story goes, he was a boy and she was a girl. I mean, can I make it any more obvious, right? He was a punk and she did ballet. But what more can I say?
Starting point is 01:23:01 He wanted her and she'd never tell, but secretly she wanted him as well. But all of our friends, they stuck up their noses because they had a problem with his baggy clothes. Wow, so deep. So in the end, this guy that was not seen as good ends up being big time. It's a lot to this song. Don't judge it. You guys laughed at him instead of... It's a good song. Yeah, everyone was like super punk.
Starting point is 01:23:26 She wore the tie and the wife beat her shirt. People always like, she's so punk. So punk. Then when I try to wear a tie and a wife beater, you're like... Different reaction to that. Yeah, it's great for her, but I tried to do it. People were like, why you be such a loser? Story of my life, man.
Starting point is 01:23:42 It's time for the good news. lunchbox. Tell me something good. There's this man in Ohio. He's underneath his Volkswagen doing some work. You know, he's got it jacked up. He's working under there. All of a sudden, the car, boom, falls on him.
Starting point is 01:23:58 He's trapped under the Volkswagen. Lucky for him, his 16-year-old neighbor, who's a football player, is out front with his mom. The 16-year-old runs over there and lifts the car off the dude. And the 16-year-old Zach said, Man, I've been lifting weights for football, and I'm glad I've been lifting those weights because, ha, got that car off of him. That's crazy. The paramedics said he would have died if he didn't lift the car off of him.
Starting point is 01:24:25 Wow. I mean, even if you haven't lifting weights for football, you can lift a car? I wonder if, though, it's more so like all the adrenaline than it is actual lifting weights. That happens. That's nuts. Well, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:24:41 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. Amy and I had to have one of our talks this morning before the show. There are some days, either she comes in and I'm like, yeah, it's about to be that time of the month, or I come in this morning, and I'm like, yeah, I'm pooped. Just mostly, I did a speech last night at Missouri State University, and they were so great.
Starting point is 01:25:11 And so they opened up their theater, and I guess I went on at 8 p.m. or so. And so I spoke into, and I was supposed to speak about 45 minutes, but I spent. like the last month or so working on this speech that I'm just going to deliver, you know, for the next four or five or six months or so. And I thought it's about 45 minutes long. It's about an hour and 15 minutes. Oh, that's a little off. It was a little long, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:35 But I would rather work long than work short. So it was a little long. I didn't get out until late. I didn't get home until about midnight or so last night. So after I worked on the show last night, probably like 1.30, woke up a few hours later and came in. And we and we are very honest, well, most mornings about how we feel. and not so much because we feel a certain way,
Starting point is 01:25:53 but because the other one has to deal with it. Like if you're in a weird spot, I got to handle that. Right. If I'm in a weird spot, you got to handle that. So I walked in, I was like, heads up, Amy. Either today or tomorrow, and not going to be good. I think it's going to be tomorrow. Yeah, well, okay.
Starting point is 01:26:09 I mean, today's been pretty good, but normally it hits you like the second day. So I just want to shout out everybody at Missouri State. I went, and the whole speech, it's called, fail until you don't stop being a weaner and start being a winner. I mean, that's good for, I mean, is it always going to be to college campus?
Starting point is 01:26:28 No, it could be wherever. Sometimes I'll go speak at big, like humongous businesses. It's a real motivational talk because I feel like a lot of people come from the same situation that I came from where if you're new to the show, if I can give you just a quick summary of how I grew up, I was raised in a small town of 700 people
Starting point is 01:26:48 in Mountain Pine, Arkansas. I was a food stamp kid. We struggled a lot. My real dad left when I was five or six years old. My mom was an addict, and she was an actor her whole life. She ended up dying in her 40s. And so a lot of my life was me just having to figure it out by myself. And in a big part of my speech, it's that for a long time in my life, I was very resentful of that.
Starting point is 01:27:14 I was very resentful of people that got to have three meals a day. I was very resentful of people that had family members that they could rely on or school clothes because if I didn't really go out and hustle myself, I didn't have that stuff. I didn't have food. I didn't have new clothes to get to wear to school. But a big point of it is I look now and go, that was really one of the best things to happen to me because one, I learned so much and got so strong from it that I don't feel like there's anything I can't take on. But secondly, like I actually understand people now.
Starting point is 01:27:47 Like I know the struggle. And so I feel like I can also help people that are going through the struggle. And what I would always see as for me, such a setback in life and I started from such a disadvantage. Like I was able to work from that and really become who I am now. And that's a big part of it. And a lot of times we just look and go, well, I had it rough or my situation isn't the best. And so I guess I'm just not supposed to succeed. It's just too hard.
Starting point is 01:28:14 And it's easy to get that way. but it's if you don't look at it like that, if you actually see it as a blessing, which I now do, which I do think is why eventually I'll go into public service and run for office because I just think nobody speaks
Starting point is 01:28:27 for the people that aren't coming from a fortunate situation. And so it's that and it's, you know, showing up on time every time and talking about people who's like, I just wish I knew what it took to get ahead. Yeah, I want to tell you what takes to get ahead. It's coming to work with a good attitude
Starting point is 01:28:42 and do more than to ask for you. That's it. If you do that And be on time Absolutely Like that's 80% That's 80% of everything And so
Starting point is 01:28:53 It's a very practical speech A little motivation But a little long last night Not gonna lie to you About an hour About an hour into it I was like I should just go
Starting point is 01:29:02 Thank you good night A long time Did you run through it at all I mean you thought it was 45 But then just Did you have more dramatic pauses than plans? Well I would just go
Starting point is 01:29:10 Oh yeah This reminds me of something And just slowly move away I hope people left last night and I hope they were inspired and then I stayed and did a Q&A with the president of the university and my whole point is
Starting point is 01:29:23 just to make people feel like they're not alone I also talk about how what I wrote my first book and by the way guys I'm not a writer and I don't know if you're new to the show and you hear me like man this guy writes books and is on TV like again I'm just a kid that grew up in a town of 700 people
Starting point is 01:29:39 and so I wrote my first book after I'd been told no to it kids book eight times. And that's the only reason that book came about is because someone's like, hey, tell me your life story. And I did. And they were like, you know what? We don't want the kids book, but why don't you write a book about your life? And I'm like, well, that's not going to sell. Nobody cares. And then it did. And it's about how, you know, getting rejected over and over and over again. It starts to be a muscle like lifting weights. You start doing it over and over and over again. It's not so hard anymore. And it takes all of those nose. You got to wait through a lot of nose to
Starting point is 01:30:11 finally get a shot. So did that last night and just talked about how, you know, even our, like our call time. I'll give an example here on this show. We have a call time every morning. We have to show up at this time. Sometimes it's earlier. And my general feeling is if you get here right at the call time, you're just here to do average work. This is it. You're just here to put in what's expected of you. If you get here before your call time, I tell you shows up every day before she's supposed to is Morgan number two. Every day before she's supposed to. She's up here and she's like, and also she, we talked early when she came on How long have you been on the show now? Two and a half years.
Starting point is 01:30:44 She's like, you know, I have to prove to that room because she wasn't one of us who've all known each other for, Amy, how long we've been together? Oh, 13 years? Yeah. She's like, I have to prove to them that I deserve to be in that room.
Starting point is 01:30:56 And so she's here every day before she's supposed to be. Just grinding away. And so, you know, anyway, that was to be. Thank you very much. That's awesome. I go for another hour. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:31:07 My single clap. But attitude is a major part of it. Like the biggest. I tell these kids on American Idol when they come in. They're like, how do I get ahead? I'm like, well, if nobody likes you, nobody's going to help you. So you can be the most talented. But if nobody likes you, nobody's going to stick their neck out for you.
Starting point is 01:31:23 It doesn't matter. Like, you have to be likable. That's a big part of what it is. And so, um, it's a big. So anyway, if I'm out speaking somewhere, feel free to come. That was free last night. I don't know if it's always free. And this just now.
Starting point is 01:31:36 I mean, they just got me. Yeah, you just got me. Just play this back. You didn't have to come. just play this back at it. How are those teleprompter things? Are they pretty cool? Yeah, it's just, it's, um,
Starting point is 01:31:46 I had never used them before and I put notes in there to remind me of the points that I need to hit. And, yeah, you know, they're, they're presidential ones where you, they're clear. But if you're not standing at the exact right angle, you can't really see them. Because there's nothing written in the prompter. It's a reflection from the ground. Oh, wow. That's how those work. That's just, like a mirror kind of thing.
Starting point is 01:32:06 And so you got to hit that exactly at the right angle to see. it. So I put notes in as to like, I'm at this point of the speech, tell this story. And I tell the story. Then I go back into my next note. So it's pretty good, but I busted them out last night. That's very cool. So there's a picture of me last night in full speaking uniform at Mr. Bobby Bowens on my Instagram. Got a little top coat kind of on. Oh, was it? Or like a, I don't know. It was like a not really sports coat, but kind of a little jacket. With a tail? Yeah, a tuxedo tail with top hat. I just didn't have a tail.
Starting point is 01:32:39 No, no tell. It's a nice little slide show, though. Oh, yeah, they were super gracious to me, too. The school president was, the vice president, met with all them beforehand. It was great. So shout out to everybody at Missouri State who invited me to come out and speak last night,
Starting point is 01:32:53 and we opened up the theater for a Tuesday night. There were probably 13, 1,400 people that showed up. That's great. It was great. I couldn't believe it. I'm always amazing people who are there. I'm like, all right, let's see if anybody cares. And I do this thing where I open the curtain
Starting point is 01:33:05 and just look through my eye, and I'm like, please God, let there be somebody there. And even if there's not, I'm going to give them one people or one million people. They're going to get the same show. A show. They're going to get, yeah, whatever I'm doing, that's a show to me. They're going to get that same. If it's music or comedy or this last night, they're getting the same experience.
Starting point is 01:33:25 But I'm always like, oh, I just hope they didn't waste their time bringing me out here. And I take it and I open the curtain just a little bit. I poke my eye through and I saw people. And I was like, oh, thank God. There's never a show, even like stand up comedy that I do or Eddie and I playing shows where I'm just taking for granted that people are there. Like every show, Eddie and I'll be on the side. I'd be like, can you believe people come to this?
Starting point is 01:33:46 Yeah. It doesn't get old. Our show now is really good too. And I never, I don't say that often. No, I agree. I've seen it. Because it's, we've worked, written and, you know, there's stand-up in it. Which, by the way, we're in Richmond, Friday night, that show is, that theater sold out. Wilmington, Delaware, just a few tickets left. But if you want to come, Raging Idiots.com, we're almost done with the show. You're going to finish tour. Yeah, almost done with the tour. But every day, before we go on, we're like, can you believe people will come to this?

We had a guy on this morning that won a trip. And I was gone, so I didn't get to play this. But this is Raimundo after day one. Moved, you had to call him since I had to go to Idol? Yeah, I was a little rush. They didn't really know I was calling somebody. I was in the middle of eating, and I didn't even know all the people that were performing.
Starting point is 01:38:13 I accidentally said Adam Levine instead of Adam Lambert. Oh, okay. Here's Raymundo. This is a little BTS for you here of him calling a winner. This wasn't on the air. Just him let him know they want. Here you go. Hello?
Starting point is 01:38:26 Yeah, is this Robert? Yeah. You did say coffee pot for the secret sound, correct? I went online and did it, and then they called me yesterday just to verify. I want you to go as crazy as possible. My man, you're heading to Napa Valley, baby, Bub. You're going to see... All right.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Yes, you're going to see Kelsey Boreenie and Adam Levine. Come on, go crazy, baby. All right. That's pretty cool, man. Come on, I want to hear you, Chris. Come on, baby. Hey, I don't want them to think that you weren't excited. I want to hear you scream.
Starting point is 01:38:55 No, this is my excited voice, man. They're going to give you a call, man. They'll verify it all, but you did it, Bubba. All right. That's pretty cool. Thank you. Yep, congrats my man. I'm gonna document here from the headquarters over now.
Starting point is 01:39:06 Peace. It's so stupid. My favorite thing is, he thinks he goes, you're going to Vegas. Well, I mean, uh, Navajoie. I had no idea what's gay. And then what is this character you're doing? I had stuff all in my mouth, so I just decided to go super country. Because he brought it out of me.
Starting point is 01:39:22 He seemed like a very country type guy. Okay. Day one was a coffee pot. Yesterday was a tattoo gun. And then we put, do you want to play today's real quick? Can we do today's all the time? This was the call, the, the, sound today. If you know it, go to bobbybones.com. Here you go. If you know that,
Starting point is 01:39:45 send you to Napa Valley. It's a trip. I mean, it's, you're looking at beautiful stuff. You're getting to see artists super up close like you'll never get to see them again in your life. I've never been. I'm jealous. I never got to go. Yeah. You've got a weekend hooking you up with like wine and maybe you don't drink wine. It's still so pretty. Food, intimate acoustic performances. If you know that sound, go to bobbybones.com. They say go ahead and eat your red meat. I mean, all that you want. Well, the whole thing is stop eating a red meat. Don't eat red meat.
Starting point is 01:40:14 Right, or limit or red meat. New research suggests there is no need to cut back on red meat. The study published Monday in the annals. Is it anals? Oh, I don't know. No way. Let me see the spelling. A-N-A-L-S.
Starting point is 01:40:28 It's like anals but with an extra in. Yeah, then we'll go with anals. We'll go with annals. Well, in the anals of internal medicine. Stop, it's probably annals. Yeah, like I said, the anals of internal medicine. The 14 researchers, seven countries. They reviewed studies on the link between cardiovascular disease and cancer and meat consumption because that's what we heard.
Starting point is 01:40:49 Right. Like red meat makes all that stuff become faster. They said, you know what? There just isn't evidence to recommend that adults eat less red meat and processed meat. So there you have it. Hey, go to town, as my grandma would say. You like red meat, go town. Great.
Starting point is 01:41:03 Well, you know, it always is like, you can't keep up. I can't. Like some days you're not supposed to eat the yolk. Other times it's like, eat all the yolk. Don't eat butter. Eat all the butter. Put butter in your coffee. Stay away from, I mean. What are you reading? What they put butter in your coffee?
Starting point is 01:41:17 That's bulletproof coffee. It's very, it's been popular for a while. Oh, you're so, now that you're keto, you should probably do that. I'm keto-ish. Well, if you're keto-ish, you put that ghee in your coffee. You're saying words, I don't know what they mean right now. People know. Okay, I don't. If you know, you know.
Starting point is 01:41:34 You can also find a study to say basically whatever you want if you look hard. I know. Lots of studies coming out. I know. It's so hard. You just kind of listen to your body, you know. Some people may not digest red meat that well, so they probably shouldn't stay. I don't.
Starting point is 01:41:48 To me, it's not so much about that. It just sits on my stomach forever. Right. If I were to tag that red meat like a duck, it'd come out like five months ago. Tag it. That's funny. Yeah. Big world, lots of smells.
Starting point is 01:42:01 Shit. So lunchbox went out. Were you at a doctor's office when you did this? No, I was at the grocery store. Oh, so it wasn't even a doctor's office. Nope, just random people at the grocery store. I thought, hey, a doctor's office, they may actually know what they're talking about,
Starting point is 01:42:15 so I figure, why not go to the grocery store and bug people? So they went and tried to get people to diagnose things on his body? Oh, wow. Like real-life web MD, with humans. So were you standing out in front of the store? No, I was inside. Oh, you were in the grocery store. Yeah, I walked in the grocery store and just found people.
Starting point is 01:42:30 Some people were working, some people were shopping. You went up to them? Yeah. Were they weirded it out that some dude was approaching them going, hey, look at this? I would say they felt very uncomfortable because I was all up in their personal space because whatever the ailment was I was sticking it out there
Starting point is 01:42:46 Alright here's the lunchbox In clip one Something's on his arm apparently Here you go Excuse me ma'am Look I got this thing on my arm Can you tell me what that is? I don't know what there is
Starting point is 01:42:56 I know doctor Go to the pharmacy You can't touch it and tell me what it is No I can't I thought you could diagnose it No I can't diagnose I'm secure Oh But it looks kind of gross huh
Starting point is 01:43:07 Why would you do that? No, I'm serious. I know, but why would you walk up to me until immediately? No, I'm asking you if you can help me. I can't help you. You go to the pharmacy. Okay, thank you. Imagine you just doing your job.
Starting point is 01:43:21 And some knucklehead's like, what's this gross thing on me? It's not like your kid. He's like an adult man. She says, I'm secured. It's not my job. Okay, here's lunchbox. Asking, he got to touch a bump on his arm. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:43:35 Excuse me, sir. Yes, sir. I woke up this morning. And I got this little bump on my arm. I was wondering if you could, like, touch it and tell me what it is. I'm not going to touch it. I'm not trying to be rude. I just don't want to touch it.
Starting point is 01:43:46 Like, but what do you think that is? It could be a simple. It's not a doctor, so I'm, I don't want to say. What does it? Do it kind of gross? Yeah. Touch it one time. I'm not going to touch it.
Starting point is 01:43:57 You can ask the pharmacy. But you don't have an expert opinion? Yes, it. All right. Thank you. Touch it one time. It's one time, sir. I know we don't know what you like you.
Starting point is 01:44:05 Just give me one touch. Do their eyeballs get really big when you're like, look at this? Their eyeballs get real big and they kind of, you know, do the like out of the lean back, like trying to get more space between me and them. But I just. It's like nobody was eating, right? I'd be like, what are you doing? Why are you walking out with you're sore?
Starting point is 01:44:25 Yeah. Okay, here's the lunchbox asking a guy to touch the black step on his toes. No. No, no, no. No. Oh, and I had sandals. I had flip-flops on, so it was easy for them to see my feet. and so I lifted my foot up so they could see it.
Starting point is 01:44:38 I'm sort of just gagging. And you're at a grocery store? At a grocery store. People are just trying to buy broccoli. Like in the food. They're getting tote fungus. I would have to quit shopping and just leave it. This is in the meat section.
Starting point is 01:44:47 Oh, that's different. Here we go. Excuse me, sir. I got this black stuff. Growing on my toes. Okay. Can you touch it and like feel? No, no.
Starting point is 01:44:55 I'm not going to do that. No, no, not. I'm just trying to figure out what it is. I'm trying to. We got some like foot cream and stuff like that. Athlete Swith would just be my guess. Okay. I'm not an animal.
Starting point is 01:45:06 expert by having me. Yeah, but if you touch you, you may be able to get a better read on it. Sorry, man. But it looks kind of gross, doesn't it? Yeah, kind of. Thank you, man. How do they not call security to get you? If someone was coming up to me randomly, like, hey, will you touch this? Whatever it is,
Starting point is 01:45:22 I'd be like, hey, you got a weirdo, an adult male going, hey, well, you touch this on my body? None of the first lady was security. Like, that was her job. I asked her because she was security. Good point. I mean, I wonder if anybody saw you walking around. and asking multiple people different things. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:45:39 Would you buy yourself? Red flag. Yeah. Do you feel awkward when you do that? I mean, whatever. I mean, I think, man, these people are going to think I'm just such a weirdo, but I'm like, who cares? I'm never going to see these people get in my life, except for that I shop at that grocery store.
Starting point is 01:45:51 Oh, you went to your home store. Yeah. Don't poop or eat. Yeah, no. I can drive across town for sure. I'll try to describe Ray Mundo, our audio producer for our audience. We think Joey on Friends. I think that's a common feature.
Starting point is 01:46:08 about him. Like muscular guy, but pretty short. From Michigan. Been with his girl for six years, and for the last two of them, we've been like, hey, man, what's up with that proposal? And he's really just said, not for me, not yet, not yet, not yet. Never know, but not yet. And Ramundo said he was looking for a ring.
Starting point is 01:46:30 I knew that. I knew you were just poking around a little bit. Yeah, yeah. Some people had seen your ring shopping really wasn't a super secret. Right. My girlfriend posted on Instagram, and she'd actually put the ring on her finger and everything like that. So it could have looked like we were engaged. So I was just coming out to clear the air.
Starting point is 01:46:44 We were not engaged yet. Yes, we were ring shopping. Yes, we did a whole day of it on Saturday. But I just felt like that was a step in the whole process. You don't want to just go pick it out and not know what they like as a guy. But, I mean, that's not me tricking anybody. That's not something hot hoodwinked you. That's just, we were ring shopping.
Starting point is 01:47:01 It hasn't happened yet. Okay. Here are the five hints that she wants you to propose right now, Ramundo. All right. Drum roll. Hey, why not? Sure. Number five.
Starting point is 01:47:10 When you walk by a jewelry store, she stops to look at the rings in the window. Jewelry store is pretty secure. I don't know if you can see the rings from the window, but sure. But she doesn't do that. But does she... Actually, she did stop in the mall the other day. Of course she did. Okay, so she does that.
Starting point is 01:47:26 She will show you emails or... Oh, yes, yes. About... I was on a newsletter chain. About rings. If it's ring of the day, You're ringing of the month? Oh, wow, you're on ring of the day.
Starting point is 01:47:38 Dang. Okay? So far, you're two for two out of five. She'll have wedding magazines or engagement magazines or magazines open to the part where there's somebody with a ring or an engagement story and she'll highlight it to you. No, but she will send me all these people that have been getting engaged lately. She always sent. Oh, up. Michael Ray, Carly Pierce.
Starting point is 01:47:55 Up. Chris Lane, Lauren Bush, no. She keeps talking about weddings or other people who got engaged. Oh, yeah. My buddy, Billy, Taron. Number one. You notice her watching shows. or taking in social media content
Starting point is 01:48:08 and really being moved by people that are having engagements. Of course, yes. Yeah, oh, look how they did it. They did in Hawaii. Oh, my gosh. Oh, they did it at a party just randomly. That's so crazy that they did it like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:22 Do you feel the pressure? The more you talk about it, the longer you draw it out that has to be perfect. There's no drawout. This stuff is the process. But yeah, I don't feel any pressure. I haven't felt pressure for six years. I mean, any guy would have folded in six years, not me.
Starting point is 01:48:34 I'm still going strong. You're giving yourself credit for a, not committing to an extra level. To peer pressure. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And you guys are good.
Starting point is 01:48:41 We are A-OK, yes. You told us in the summer, it was a summer of love where you would get engaged. And it got ramped up, baby, at the ring store. We were drinking mimoses, eating those strawberries. I'm telling you, summer of love was in full force in that ring store. It just didn't pull the trigger just yet. Do you want to talk about, and I'm not sure if it's something you're comfortable with, how you were going to propose, but it didn't quite happen?
Starting point is 01:49:01 Wait, what? Well, hold on. Let me ask him. We're on the air right now. do you want to talk about this or no? Yeah, we can talk about it if you won't. Okay, we're back on the air. So, okay, so here's what happened.
Starting point is 01:49:10 Okay. Well, you, so you were going to propose. Yeah, so I was going to propose this weekend. I kind of, that's how I wanted to do it, but some stuff fell through. So I wanted to do it at Trisha Yearwood concert. During this song, she's in love with a boy, either during the middle of it, and just totally hijacked the performance. That's when I proposed or at the end of it.
Starting point is 01:49:29 Of course, I'd had to get the label involved and stuff like that. Oh, you wanted it on stage? Yes. But I haven't asked her dad yet. So I'm a little behind on that. And I don't have the ring. Wait, so that's the step that fell through? I thought, like, maybe Trisha got sick.
Starting point is 01:49:43 Well, so we went to the ring store, and I thought that you could just get it day of. But apparently it's got to get molded, fit, cuts, sent overseas, and all that. It can't do it in a week. I think you just escalated it a little too far. It just needs to be sized, I'm sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which you probably could have got it of the day of. Right.
Starting point is 01:49:57 I'm telling you. But you were going to go out at the end of a Trisha performance. Yes. And then that's when I wanted to propose. Again, it was taking the spotlight away from Trisha. asking a lot, maybe I get denied. Yeah, but I mean, I think Tricia, first of all, you guys are close with Garth and Tricia, like, it's families.
Starting point is 01:50:12 But still at the same time, going in front of 40,000 people. Hey, can I just do a proposal real quick? I mean, I don't even think their own kids proposed like that. I mean, that's a big ask. At a concert in the middle of their set, can I propose? Yeah, but again, you guys are close to Garth and Tricia. We are, but also at the same time is that taking advantage of our label relationships. So there was a lot of stuff.
Starting point is 01:50:31 I really wanted to do it, but I don't have the ring. You can't propose. Is that a ring? Nope. You can. That would be the worst proposal of all time. Okay. I mean, I agree you should have the ring.
Starting point is 01:50:41 So I'd cancel it. Today is October 2nd. Do you think before the end of October? Mm-hmm. Is it the Halloween of Love? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Wow, you're saying you think this month.
Starting point is 01:50:53 Yeah, there's dates circled. I think we're going to Miami in a couple weeks. Oh, wow. During a pit bull performance? Mr. Theo 5. Hey, can I get out and do this little something real quick? Worldwide. Okay.
Starting point is 01:51:05 Well, we're rooting for you, bud. Thank you. Has anyone helped you with the ring? No. The guy at the ring store did say give me 200 off. Discount. 5% off, I think you said. Do you...
Starting point is 01:51:18 Is it somebody that we work with? No, this was just some guy... Okay, let me... I'll just, I'll send you to somebody. One day I'm going to have a girl, and I'm going to have the greatest hookups ever, because I have... I work with ring people and jewelry store,
Starting point is 01:51:31 like a national brands. They're fantastic. I'll send you... to a guy. Yeah! How much are you willing to spend? Do you have a budget yet? I told the people this past weekend 4K.
Starting point is 01:51:42 Amy, now, when it comes to a ring, I don't know anything about how much rings cost. Yeah. Yeah, I... What are you going to ask? I don't know. Everybody's so different. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:51:53 Some people might see that as like so expensive, and then other people might be like, okay, well, I don't know. There's other levels. I don't know. Color cut clarity, and I'm not a big diamond person, so I don't know.
Starting point is 01:52:04 Eddie, what do you think about $4,000? Would you spend that on your one? I spent less than that on my wife because, I mean, I didn't have money when we got married. And then now, you know, I'm starting to get a little bit of money and still in debt, but not a lot of money. And I'm thinking like, should I upgrade? Ooh, solid. I got the place for you. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 01:52:22 According to a recent survey, most American couples expect to spend around $6,000. The average cost of an engagement ring is $6,000. Oh, okay. So that's average. Okay. Now, my question is, does that matter to you? I could go a little higher. They do have plans.
Starting point is 01:52:39 They were telling me something. You get 80 a month and you can get maybe even a 10K ring. Dude, I got places, no interest for five years. Yeah. That's right. That's right. That's right. Okay.
Starting point is 01:52:52 We'll get you going. That's what I'm talking about. Thank you. But Miami next week. Yeah, two weeks. That's the goal. What is Miami? A bunch of friends going to be there, a beautiful beach.
Starting point is 01:53:03 But you've said before I don't want to do it around a bunch of friends. I mean, that's what happened. be nine white claws deep. I kind of screwed it up with Hawaii. That was a lifetime trip. I don't know why I didn't do it there. Because you said you were around friends. Yeah, you said you didn't want to do it
Starting point is 01:53:18 where the auction level was over 63%. It was just some random stupid thing that you said. I can't do it on Broadway. I can't do it on dirt road, obviously. There's dirt. You're just finding things everywhere to not do it. I can't do it on a day that ends in day. And you guys have been, through a lot together.
Starting point is 01:53:32 We have. Got together young. You kind of met on Tinder, sort of, but she met your buddy on Tinder, and then you took her from your buddy. Yeah, buddy left town and I said, leave me that chase in the number. She was real hot. So then you got with her. Yeah. We're together. And then she went through having cancer, and you went with her that entire ride. Yep. She's on the other side of it now. Correct. Over a year, yeah. And you still haven't done it.
Starting point is 01:53:56 Waiting for that perfect time. It only happens once, baby. I mean, she's so ready. She's beyond ready. I didn't know she had posted that ring. but she sent a text to me of a picture of it when y'all were shopping. Did you know she sent it to me? I did not, but I guess she probably sent it to a couple people. Well, I mean, now I know she put, because at first I was like, I probably shouldn't talk about this, but if she posted about it, then I guess...
Starting point is 01:54:20 Is she saying to you, like, I'll take any ring at this point? I think, all I know is that that situation, y'all doing that made her so excited, and she's like, I just think it's happening soon. What was I supposed to do it? At the ring store? No, you shouldn't. Dude, how'd probably would that be? Pick it.
Starting point is 01:54:35 Oh, and you just. just say pick a ring out any ring. Ooh, that's like Sweet Home Alabama. Yes. Don't do that, Ray. He takes her to Tiffany. That's dangerous. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:54:44 Bobby bones. I was looking at you. I could tell that you're curious about the key to happiness. Oh, yeah, for sure. Well, you're lucky because I have it on a piece of paper in front of me here. Okay. According to a new poll, the average American drinks about five glasses of water a day. Of those who drink 10 or more a day, 80% say they're very happy, which
Starting point is 01:55:05 leads people to believe that the key to happiness is drinking a lot of water. Okay. Man, when I drink a lot of water, which I agree, I do feel better. We should have to use the restroom a lot. A lot. You know, I was talking to some of those singers on American Idol. They were like, give me tips for once they get to Hollywood week. Because if they got through Savannah, Georgia, which is where we were, they go to Hollywood. They get the golden ticket. And so they got to wait until
Starting point is 01:55:29 December, early December, when everybody goes to California. It's when we tape it there. and they're like, give me some advice. And I'm like, it's the most simple advice ever. You need to show up and be drinking so much water that you have to pee. It feels like all the time because you're just going to be singing for like two days and hydration is so important. So they would be like, no, give me real advice.
Starting point is 01:55:50 I'm like, no, that's the most valuable advice you could possibly have. Right. He's drinking water. And I think just in general, water, water, water. Crazy how important water is. I know. But you're right. You have to pee all the time.
Starting point is 01:56:00 I know. Even sometimes I see my kids have attitude. Like I'll see how they're behaving. And they just need water. Once I give them water, it's like they're a flower and they bloom and they're better. I'm like that with food. That's grumpy yesterday. I was like, I'm tired.
Starting point is 01:56:12 I'm grumpy. And I got some food. That's good. We're done for today. Appreciate everybody for being here. Amy, what's going on? Today I go to the old folks home. So hang out with my dad today pretty much all day.
Starting point is 01:56:24 What about you? I have a call with Ronnie Dunn right after the show about our photo shoot we're going to do. Oh, yeah. I don't really know. I think we're just going to talk ideas. Okay. So Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn. But the general idea is you're dressed as a cowboy and he's photographing you?
Starting point is 01:56:37 I think he's like, you want to get on a bull? I don't know. I have to talk to Ronnie after the show, so we've got to figure out when and where we're doing it. I got a bunch of pretty cool stuff. I've only in town for a couple days before I go back out to, we're on the road this weekend in Richmond and then Wilmington, Delaware. But I got a couple TV calls. I got a dinner tonight with, you know, a friend, but we're working on the project. So it's busy, but it's good.
Starting point is 01:57:01 It's a good day. So we'll see you guys. What is today? Wednesday? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lost. Yeah. Hummed Day.
