No, just showing you where the real Hollywood stars are. Like Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Oh, there's jazz, right?
Starting point is 00:00:50 And a drop. You'll see. Grab a Mickey Brussels on the way. Girl, you'll read in my mind. We're almost there. Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park. Starting point is 00:02:14 Chopin it up, as they say. Mike D, do you want to give your advice to the guys on love? Yeah. Okay, so Mike D. is in the middle of having his first ever girlfriend. You how old? I'm 28. Why is that funny? Young whippersnapper.
Starting point is 00:02:29 I don't think it's funny. I think it's been a good climb for you. That's awesome. Because you're going to give us advice. And now Mike D has said he wants to give the other guy's advice because he's in a healthy relationship. Ramundo, you've been with your girl for? Six years, a solid, too.
Starting point is 00:02:45 Yeah. Six years, but a solid two years? I mean, full of so much. I'd say we've experienced 15 years together. Here, you can't, like, me and lunchbox are married. There's a difference between being married and committing the rest of your life to someone. To be fair, Ray and his girlfriend went through cancer together. So before you were about to hate on Ray,
Starting point is 00:03:06 I'm not hating on Ray. I'm saying the way he prefaces things, it's just like, there's a big difference on what me and Lunchbox have done in the world of love versus everyone else. We went through childbirth together. I mean, that is intense.
Starting point is 00:03:19 A lot of people go through childbirth, but he went through cancer. Like his girl... I'm not hating on the cancer bones. I'm also... Anyway, Eddie? Yes. You've been with your wife for how many years?
Starting point is 00:03:29 13 years. Mary 13 years. Oh, that's not. That's true. We've dated six years before that. So almost 20 years together? Come on. Wow.
Starting point is 00:03:36 And we have two kids of our own and two foster kids. Wow. And then Lunchbox, you've been with your wife for how long? We've been married four years, and we got one kid. But together, how long? Seven years. So Mike D. Will now give them advice.
Starting point is 00:03:48 You've been with your girlfriend for one year. One year. First girlfriend ever. First girlfriend ever. And what would you like to share with them? Well, I had this really great idea because she came to stay with me this past weekend. And I was like, I want to do something special for her just for no reason. So I went to talk.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Target and I bought just a basket, like a $5 basket, and I filled it with this is a bunch of stuff that she loved. So just like stuff she would need, like at the house to have there. And then also just like snacks, like a bottle of wine. And I put it all in the basket. And it was there when she got to my place. Oh, that's cute. Like a favorite things basket.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Yeah. Was that for her birthday? No, no, but this is why. And he's not saying he knows more than you. He's kind of just reminding you guys that you should do stuff like this because you've probably been in these ruts. But it's like a favorite things basket, right? just all her favorite things.
Starting point is 00:04:33 So basically you went grocery shopping. No, that's not fair. It's better than that. No, no, I'm saying it's different when his, like a girlfriend's coming to visit. You can do that. I mean, my wife lives with me, so I would get that stuff at the store if I went to the store. But lunchbox here to kind of maybe simplify it. Like, if you went out of town for a weekend and you come back, you're like, look, I got you this while I was out of town.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Or whatever. But I think you guys are still missing that point. The point is that it was completely unsuspecting. Right? She shows up and it's there. It's not even about what's in the basket. It's not grocery shopping. It's not anything other than he wanted to something for her when she wasn't expecting it.
Starting point is 00:05:10 And I think that's not telling you guys something you didn't know, but reminding you of something you probably used to do because he's in a fresh relationship. Okay, that's fair. And I feel like you guys were hating on him too early before he could get to that point, right, Mike? Yeah. Even me now being married 12 years, if I were to come home from work today and there was a basket sitting on the counter full of my favorite things, I'd be like, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:31 It's a good reminder for someone who's in a new relationship about the thoughts and feelings you have while you're in a new relationship. So you can actually do some of those again if you've been in for like Eddie almost 20 years. Man, that's crazy. Yeah. Breaking it down like that, it's good point. Because, yeah, I mean, after so many years, we're, I wouldn't say over it, but we don't think about that stuff anymore. Now it's just like, what do you need? What do you need?
Starting point is 00:05:54 Just tell me what you need. Mike, do you feel a little bit that we're hating on you a little too early? A little bit, yeah. Here's my thing. why doesn't the woman do that for the guy sometime? She might. I know, so I know, I'm just saying on this post-show, pre-show, tell the ladies out there, why don't you do that for your guy?
Starting point is 00:06:10 It doesn't have to be the guy always doing that stuff for the girl. Okay, good point. I'll maybe think now because Mike D brings it up, like I might surprise my husband. He may come home to some of his favorite things. Good idea. What are you had some favorite things? Golf balls. He had his golf clubs in the back of the truck when I was over at your house?
Starting point is 00:06:28 He's golfing today. Is he? Mm-hmm, I think. He was like, I'm not that good at golf yet, but I'm trying to get better so I can talk crap to rod. Yeah. There's like, yeah, he just feels like there was a time where he didn't get to golf much at all. And then now he realized like... You mean while I was serving our country?
Starting point is 00:06:45 It was a little busy. He was a little busy. Well, he used to spend half the year overseas. And now he doesn't go overseas ever since we got the kids. So he's just trying to like brush up his golf game. And man, he would love for Stevenson to really like dig golf. and Stasheera too for that matter They just are not that into it
Starting point is 00:07:02 And I think I know I know He's like that's something we can go get out there And do and like bond for like Five hours or however long golf takes Like forever four hours Depending on who you're playing with You do the whole 18
Starting point is 00:07:16 Sometimes I'm like can't just do nine No you can't do that I don't ever like playing nine No that's like playing half of a basketball game Why would you do that? You won't even know the winner Oh really? Like nine isn't You all don't like it?
Starting point is 00:07:27 No It's not a thing Oh. I mean, I guess if you only have a few, it doesn't really count. I like to play, first of all, I haven't played him forever. Bones, we got to go. Eddie, the other day you played and didn't even call me, and you were like, I should have called you. Yeah, I didn't even think about you.
Starting point is 00:07:40 I know. Because I figure you were working or doing something. I know, I got to change that. I got to work less. Ooh, and play golf more. We know that's not going to happen. That's not going to happen. If I can't practice.
Starting point is 00:07:49 But don't they say you can work on the golf course? You can talk and do business. Business. You don't work, kind of. You could, Bobby, you could do your rights on. the golf course. That's not how it works. To be fair, I met Rod, our boss on the golf course. Creative pitches. What do you mean you met him? He came into town one time when we were living in Austin. Yeah. And Bobby's like, hey, come, come play golf with us. And I met Rod, who's our boss now on
Starting point is 00:08:14 the golf course. Back when Bobby played golf. Oh, Eddie and I used to play all the time. I used to crush Eddie. Like we played 10 times Eddie. Eddie beat me once out of 10 times. Not true. Excuse me? Not true. You want to play again? That's not the question. Have you gotten better? Way better, yeah. Yeah. But I'm saying back in the day, 10 times, how many would you win? Out of 10? Probably five. Shut up.
Starting point is 00:08:35 We were neck and neck. No, we weren't. And you were taking lessons. I was taking lessons and practicing every day. Yes, every day. You got so serious. That's what you do with things. But you act like that's a bad thing.
Starting point is 00:08:44 You're like, oh, you were like working at it. What a loser. I work at everything. I was like Tiger just showing up and playing. Tiger doesn't just show up and play. Oh, he doesn't? No. Like Brooks.
Starting point is 00:08:54 Kepka just shows up and plays. That's true. And he says it. He's like, I don't practice. Amy, this guy. He's like, if you see me on TV, that's when I'm playing golf. So I have the guy that just won the North Ireland Open. No, but he won the St. Jude. You're talking about British Open, right? Amy?
Starting point is 00:09:08 No, there was like some golf tournament. Yeah, that's called the British Open. Go ahead. Tell your story about the Tiger text. No, Amy, so that's what he did. So Tiger texted him and say, hey, man, congrats on all your success. Do you want to play a practice round with me? And he did not respond. This guy, Brooks Kepka, did not respond to Tiger Woods.
Starting point is 00:09:26 And so they asked him on a press conference. So like, hey, why didn't you respond to Tiger? He's like, I don't practice. He's like, yeah, I don't practice. You see me on TV, I'm playing. That's me practicing. Yeah, that was his response. And this dude wins, so I guess he can say that.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Who was on your show saying that close, on a par three, close to a hole? That is lunchbox. It's a hole in one. But that's lunchbox. And he said, he made the argument, if you get the ball within five feet on a par three, which is, T-box to green, Amy. So you're talking about 180 yards. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Or 110. Or whatever. Or whatever the part three is. Like almost two football fields. Okay. You're welcome. The point is you, on average, you're supposed to get the ball on the green in one shot. Right.
Starting point is 00:10:07 So, lunchbox says, I can go to golf talk the whole time, but go ahead. Right, but lunchbox says if you get it within five feet, that's almost getting a hole in one, which I say is disrespectful to the hole in one because some people go their whole lives without hitting a hole in one. I think I've almost got a lot of hole in ones in. Right. But I understand. But you don't say, you can't say I've gotten a hole in one. Right.
Starting point is 00:10:25 No, I'm saying because we're just, we're hacked golf. We're not good golfers. Professional golfers, yes, that's not a close shot. But for us, that's amazing. Like, we almost made it. Like, that's a clue. Yeah, to me, because I'm not very good. Are you better than lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:10:37 Way better, yeah. No, you're not. We switch off. No. Wow. Like, we have a 10, about a 10 stroke difference. Oh, wow. So like a stroke?
Starting point is 00:10:46 On average. Wow. Yeah, look at you guys. Not even close, huh? Not really. Oh, how about that? I can say what he wants. Just like he said he beat you
Starting point is 00:10:55 Five out of ten, right, Bobby? Maybe he did. Maybe I should look back at the time. Yeah. Think about it. Probably not. Eddie also says he was like played like really good high school football. Three star recruit.
Starting point is 00:11:05 Eddie, amazing athletes are three star recruits. Yeah. You were not. You were not. You can't even run. Do you want to tell me something I don't know? Okay. I do have, by the way, I have a meeting in like a few minutes.
Starting point is 00:11:17 I got to go to. I hate to cut this short, especially after golf talk. I'd explain what a bar three was. That was hard. NewsFest. Golf talk. How do we get onto that? My husband, golf clubs, golfing.
Starting point is 00:11:31 I don't know. Oh, you said, what are my husband? This is where that started. What are some of your husband's favorite things? And I said, golf balls. Oh, then you kids. All the way down. We do something called the fantasy draft where we, instead of fantasy football,
Starting point is 00:11:45 we draft different fun things. Tomorrow we're doing cowboy hat wearers. Yeah. Okay. So awesome. Yaha is what I say to that. What? Who came up with that?
Starting point is 00:11:56 Me? Was that me? Way to go. No, I don't know. I think it was you. No, no. I've come up with a lot of things. I don't care who comes up with it.
Starting point is 00:12:05 That's why I just asked, because maybe I didn't, but I think I did. That being said, I asked the listeners, did you guys come up with some? Could we talk about this earlier? I did, but mine aren't very good. It's okay. Spit it out. You want to hear them? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:17 What should we do in drafts later? I did ice cream flavors? It's just, you know, the end. I have to think of three rounds with five people. Right. It was a lot. I mean, Baskin Robbins alone is about 32. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:12:30 TV shows and movies. It's just bad. I'll scratch all this out. But you should feel comfortable and suggesting that. I did. Like I sat in a ride yesterday with the guy who wrote a bunch of songs and I'm like, I don't want to say anything because all my ideas are stupid. But you just got to go, you know what?
Starting point is 00:12:43 Even a stupid idea could trigger something in the other person that doesn't have stupid ideas and make their idea. Amy does it all the time. So I'm going to say my stupid idea because I think maybe it could trigger it or something else, but, like, Bobby wears glasses, like, people that wear glasses. Okay, that's funny.
Starting point is 00:12:57 I like that. Glasses wearing people. Or just glasses wearers. That way you don't eliminate animals, maybe they wear glasses. Right. Or, like, the side ones. Because there are animals that wear glasses.
Starting point is 00:13:08 Write that one down. I like that one. What animals don't wear glasses? Yeah. Oh, I see what you're saying? Yeah. Okay, what else you got? Anything else?
Starting point is 00:13:15 Or is that your one? Well, celebrity parents. Are people? I don't know. Amy, it's funny when you say it. And then Bobby just looks at you like that. No, I'm looking to. No, I'm looking to.
Starting point is 00:13:24 No, I don't mind. I get it. Like, I think it's something like. You guys are projecting. Is that what we do? Celebrity moms are. You're projecting your feelings onto me. I don't feel that way.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Why is the ice cream flavors and you're like, no. I started thinking could I come up with like 12 strong ice cream flavors. Of course you could. Rocky Road. Chocolate chip. Pregnant celebrities. All right. I do like the glasses wearing.
Starting point is 00:13:48 I will do that at some point. That's a good one. Cool celebrity kids. Lunch box I had pizza toppings Candy What are you laughing at? Pizza toppings is great
Starting point is 00:14:00 Pizza's like your favorite food Eddie That to me is the argument of Bobby's like how many pizza talk Can we go three rounds Of pizza toppings Go ahead what else And favorite reality shows
Starting point is 00:14:08 Okay Favorite Christmas movies And favorite Christmas songs Okay Christmas songs During the holidays You could do Like a Christmas songs one
Starting point is 00:14:17 Here Do you have some Listener wins Morgan number two Go ahead Yeah I think Thank you. Have a mic. Did you send them to them?
Starting point is 00:14:23 I was going to let you read them. Oh, okay. Yeah. TV shows. Probably a little too generic, by the way. That's hard. Go ahead. So we can hone in on that.
Starting point is 00:14:32 Animals, superheroes, best comedy movies. What do you mean potatoes? There's a lot of different ways a potato can be made. So like all the day's potatoes. Right. Because I was like. Like, small potatoes?
Starting point is 00:14:45 One potato, two potato? Three potato four? Yeah, I don't know. Mr. Potato head. Oh, nice, Amy. That's why I'm. That's all I can think of. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Best comedy movies or best romantic movies. Brands. Like, rom-coms is a good one. Yeah, rom-coms is good. Bingeable shows, like shows that are done that have enough seasons. You just want to stay out of something that's so wide that everybody can pick super strong the whole time. Yeah. There's got to be real power into, like, a semi-niche.
Starting point is 00:15:14 U.S. presidents. Oh, my. Like, can you imagine? Favorite political parties. Oh, boy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good interesting. That fourth pick is hard.
Starting point is 00:15:27 You go independent third. Green. Communists. Boohoo. Get him out of here. Okay. Here are some that we have written down for today. Boy bands.
Starting point is 00:15:44 Oh, lead singers is strong. Nice. That's a good one. I like that one. Boy bands may be tough, but lead singers is a good one. save that one on the list you come with that mic that's a good one gas station snacks is pretty good yep new um i like when we did chris's who you could pick another one like famous mics a generic name mike titan mike titan mike jude mike and ike right so they're all of those
Starting point is 00:16:10 mike jones so i do like lead singer that's that lead singer is a strong one I have to Google. That's a good one. I like if I say you have to Google. So that means they're in a band, but... Lead singers, a band. Mick Jagger. Bono.
Starting point is 00:16:27 All Rolling Stones. Got it. Zach Brown. Zach Brown. Okay. So a little big town, who would be the lead singer? Karen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:36 Okay. But you can say whatever you want. It's a listener's job to go. That doesn't count. Like you could go, Eddie. Right. But that's, I mean, not accurate. No, but.
Starting point is 00:16:46 You could. I got mine. I know my number one. But we're not doing this one for a while. Then I won't write it down. We just have it in your vault. Yeah. I will.
Starting point is 00:16:53 I'll probably forget them though. Yeah. All right. I feel pretty good. Cereals is pretty good. We should put that up there too. Cereals. I have cereal for sure.
Starting point is 00:17:04 First overall picking cereal. Oh my gosh. It's so hard. It's so hard. Is it? For me it is because there's some. Oh, you're going to go like healthy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Crack on O'Brien. No. Hey, Amy goes healthy cereal. No, not go healthy cereal. I would go. Fiber one. Something super old. Raisin and oat bran.
Starting point is 00:17:25 What is it? Raisin brand? That's actually pretty good. Raisin brand is so good. You get it real soggy? It's so good. It's so good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:31 What it gets soggy? Out of all the cereals though, you would pick that one. When you get a raisin, you're like, oh, and I don't even like raisins. When we got raisins, we throw them gross. Mixed with the brand, it's good. One that's a little too generic. do one round of this. Greatest actors of all time.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Like, we could all sit and name 15 super great actors. But if you were the greatest actor of all time, Amy? It's hard. Denzel Washington. Lunchbox? Tom Hanks. Oh, my gosh. What a jerk.
Starting point is 00:18:01 We're not voting. Well, she took mine. I had Denzel. Oh, sorry, my bad. I would be Johnny Depp, I guess. I don't know. What? He took my pick.
Starting point is 00:18:09 He sucks this game. Yeah, he picked my Tom Hanks. Eddie's like, I don't know, Vanessa Hutchins. I mean, Meryl Streep She's good Morning number two Gotta go with my man
Starting point is 00:18:20 Sylvester Stallone Oh Really? I'm gonna go with Humphrey Bogart Yeah Bogie Is that a person?
Starting point is 00:18:29 Yes The legend On the silver screen Yeah, he's called him the hump We used to go watch his movies Good old hump I'd be like Grandma,
Starting point is 00:18:36 Can we go watch some hump? It didn't What about like Old people It was looking at you kid Yeah, there we go. Like Betty White. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Old people now. Yeah. Cool old people now? All people now. Willie Nelson. Just old people. Willie. Oh, good one.
Starting point is 00:18:53 Betty White. Go ahead. Willie Nelson. Eddie? Clint Eastwood. Oh, that's a good one. Thank you. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Go with your voice. Sylvester. I want to go with Eddie. Oh, what a jerk. Burn. That's so mean, dude. Yeah, yeah. I'm funny though.
Starting point is 00:19:09 We could actually, we could make it like the geriatric draft or elderly. Cool elderly people. I'd go like David Letterman, like in my heart. Yeah. Oh, Paul McCartney. Oh, Morgan Freeman. What? Oh, my gosh, she's awesome.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Morgan. That was Irish and Morgan Freeman. Get busy living or get busy diet. Oh, yeah. Who says, and that was the rest of the story. Okay. Yeah. Different guy.
Starting point is 00:19:37 Is he alive? Dead. He dead? Chicago guy, right? How about dead people? Oh, boy. George Washington. Yeah, Abe.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Yeah, I got a though Jesus in there too. Yes, but he's not dead. But I mean, but you go to anyone that's not, you know, that's died. Oh, anyone that's died. Yeah, I'd pick Jesus in the draft. I didn't even though I didn't win today. Then you can pick people who's died and come back alive, like. Jesus?
Starting point is 00:20:02 That's it. Oh, there's other people that wrote the stories. They said they saw the tunnel. Oh, yeah, five seconds of heaven. I think that heaven's a game you used to play in Europe when you were like, 15. What game is that? You went in the closet and make out five?
Starting point is 00:20:14 Five seconds. They have seven minutes. Oh, well, they changed the rules on me when I was a kid. When I went in and they were like, sorry, we got to change the roll to five seconds. It's a little quick. It's five seconds. Get off of me. This is my big shot.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Like, no, they just changed the rules. One, two, three, four. Times up. It just came across through facts. It's now five seconds. Evan. Oh, no. Dratz.
Starting point is 00:20:34 All right, we got to go. Thank you guys. Anything you want to say, Amy? Before we get into. I have a new Q&A episode today for Four Things Podcast. Yeah. Yeah. So you can check that out.
Starting point is 00:20:43 I answer. Answer all your questions that you send me. Are we getting mailbag up yet? Morgan number two, the email address? Working on it. Okay. Ooh, I share a really good recipe in there, too, like for these energy balls. What's up?
Starting point is 00:20:57 Energy balls. Excuse me? Say that again. I thought you were talking, that's my name of college. I thought she was talking to me. I was like, what? What are you talking about? Bobby?
Starting point is 00:21:07 Energy balls? Oh, EB? Oh, Bobby Energy Balls is Joe. Both of those. She's called me L.EB. You call me B, E, me. No, these are balls you can eat. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:19 We're still 11. Even when I was recording the podcast myself, I was so immature when I was saying balls. And I was sitting in a room by myself recording. You were laughing by yourself? During the, when I recorded the episode, I think I even said in the episode, just ignore me. I'm immature. So I think I called it. Yeah, I was talking about how my sister, she sells them at her coffee shop, but she calls him energy bites
Starting point is 00:21:42 because she didn't want people at the cash register ordering balls. Your sister has a coffee shop? Yeah. You don't watch Amy's Insta story? No. She bought a coffee shop. I mean, I do sometimes, but where? It's in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, and it's called the Root House, and it's so cute.
Starting point is 00:21:56 And I, tons of listeners, like, travel through Pagossa, so they've been going, so it's super cool. I know. They, like, show up. Even when I was there, they would walk in with, like, Pimp and Joy shirts, and I was like, what up? Like, so cool. I'm just super happy. Like, she has her own coffee? Well, they buy the coffee, and they grew it.
Starting point is 00:22:12 I thought she was like Starbucks. That's the next step. They may come up with their own blend, but they're still getting their groove. Like it's very new. And my nieces and nephews work there. It's like a family thing. It's so cute. I'm like, I want this small town life.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Do you? I mean, I didn't want to leave. There's something just really quaint and cozy about it all. And especially, and they wanted that for their kids. It's why they moved from the city to there. And it's really working for their family. So I'm happy for them. Bones knows this, but the small town life,
Starting point is 00:22:42 Like there's, I remember like a lot of like everybody's nosy in that small town. Well, it's not that small. It's not like. Oh, okay, okay. And plus there's tons of tourists. It's a tourist town too. Well, I think because you know everybody. Right.
Starting point is 00:22:54 You know everybody's business. I remember that. So you're in everybody's business. Yeah. Some ways and good. Some ways of that. How small is your town? Well, not McCallon.
Starting point is 00:23:03 My dad bought a piece of property like outside of our town. And we would stay there like every weekend. We pretty much just like grew up there. And that small. town was like tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny and everyone just knew our business they're like yeah yeah we we know who these people are yeah we heard something about you guys like what did you hear that kind of stuff what they yeah nothing they're here nothing it was just weird stuff that people make up what are you guys doing over there well they had you guys by land outside that town that you're
Starting point is 00:23:31 really weird stuff like drug smuggling maybe like some rumors like that would always start yeah oh y'all you'll work with the cartel maybe was it by other mexican people or white people that were starting to draw. No, they were all Mexican people. It was, I mean, I think there was one white family that lived in that town. My dad's from South Texas, and that's why he is fluent in Spanish because, I mean, it was
Starting point is 00:23:53 like at our family reunion, it was, we went, I mean, this was probably like 15 years ago, but it was like all Hispanics. And I was like, dad, are these, are we relate, like, we're all the white, like, we're, I'm white. Like this family, he's like, yeah, this is our family. This is South Texas. Like, that's how it is.
Starting point is 00:24:09 I was like, oh, that's cool. I wish I had grown up down there because I took Spanish for eight years in school and I can basically say, oh, I went to your hometown. Like it's crazy, huh? A bunch of me's everywhere. It's nuts. A bunch of me. Mexicans, just like everywhere. Yeah. It's got to be a trip.
Starting point is 00:24:25 I saw a bunch of people just like you. What? Is that not right? No. I don't think so. We're going to wrap this up. I see our two bosses. One, our boss from Los Angeles, who.
Starting point is 00:24:41 is over the whole country is talking to Rod the boss of the entire country format and demanding that our windows be made bigger. By negotiating my last deal with that boss, the slick hairback boss? I say with him. Can you see him?
Starting point is 00:24:57 Yeah, I want to move the camera. Oh, he's walking. Wait, no. He's going into race. Now he's going into race. Anyway, I got to go to these meetings. Thank you. Check out the latest bobbycast. John Chris will be coming in this week. Ray's spig in his nose. But there's the boss. There he is. Kevin Legrette. Shout out.
Starting point is 00:25:13 Got making it happen. One time I was talking about the NFL commissioner and Amy goes, Kevin Legrette, which you didn't. I had to guess. That's the highlight of his life. It was part of the lunchbox versus Amy. And it was like, what's the name of the NFL commissioner? And I said, Kevin Legrette.
Starting point is 00:25:26 That's like his claim to fame. He loves it. He loves it. I say this about Kevin. He came to all my dancing with the stars. Like he was there. You see him in the audience every freaking show. And he would call me.
Starting point is 00:25:36 We'd have chats. He'd be like, I don't know if you're going to win it, but you're doing good. You're doing good. Just hang in there. I'll just hang in there. So, all right, we got to go. I've got to go to this meeting.
Starting point is 00:25:43 See you guys on Wednesday. And nice job, everybody. See you then. Bye, everybody. Go to Farmhousefreshskincare.com and wake up to glow that deserves a theme song. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Ah, here you are you. Turn it up. Come on, Bobby. And welcome to Tuesday show. Good morning, studio.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Morning. Well, well, well, here we are again. An Uber driver gives himself five stars and a $100 tip. Have you seen this story? No. We woke up this morning with a good hearty chuckle. A couple used an Uber to be picked out from the airport. Pretty common.
Starting point is 00:29:10 Yeah. push the button, walk here, meet the car, get a ride to wherever you're going. The driver had at one point in the trip said, hey, can I see her phone? I want to see if this is like sinking upright. He claimed he needed to reroute the trip because he had made a wrong turn. It's like, let me see that phone. And what he did, though, is give himself a huge tip of $100 and five stars. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:29:32 On her phone. So how'd she catch it? She got the receipt. Yeah. Instead of paying $54 for the ride, the couple was charged $154. The woman had noticed the discrepancy when she got home, and she was like, why can't I leave a tip in a rating?
Starting point is 00:29:48 Not a bad drive. I'd like to give them a tip. Uber says they gave the couple a full refund, and that the driver no longer works with the company. Bam. So I thought that was funny. Let me go to Marcos in New Mexico. Marcos, you're on the Bobby Bone show.
Starting point is 00:30:01 What's up, bud? Hey, Bobby. My name's, well, you already know my name. So I have to get up pretty early for work, like you guys. And I've been having a hard time just getting up early, period. It doesn't matter about what time I go to bed. I just wonder if you had any advice for me about getting up early. Boy, do I ever, because I am not a morning person.
Starting point is 00:30:20 I know you hear me, Marcos, and you're like, man, that Bobby must be quite the morning person. He comes in so full of energy, so funny. You probably said that, don't you? Yeah. Yeah, he's so funny. Like, he just wakes up with like a shine in his eye. Not the case. I never like waking up in the morning.
Starting point is 00:30:35 I wake up a little left or three in the morning. Here's what you have to do. My advice is just get better at feeling crappy. You're never going to feel good. You never just adjust and go, I'm now a morning person. You just have to realize, all right, I'm going to wake up, I'm not going to feel that good. Maybe you can get yourself into a little groove. Like I have steps that I do.
Starting point is 00:30:51 I wake up, I put the TV on CNN. I just sit and watch the news for like 10 minutes. Only when the news is up, do I get up and I have like little cycles that I go through in the morning. But also the realization that you can't penalize yourself because you're not in a good mood. It just takes a while for some of us. Yeah. So my advice is you're not going to get better at waking up. You'll just get better at faking like you're in a good mood.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Until you finally convince yourself at some point in the morning, I might as well be in a good mood. Do you press snooze or you get up right away? Marcos. He fell asleep. See, that's what happens. You're so sleepy. Oh, Marcos. He went right to sleep.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Yeah. If you're not a morning person. Oh, there you are you. Oh, do you snooze or get up right away? Snooze is my enemy. Okay, you can't press snooze or you're going to be tired. You're just going to feel bad. Regardless, Marco. So if you know you're going to feel bad, you know yourself, just get up and know you're going to feel bad. And the sooner you start that bad feeling, the sooner it's over with.
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yep. All right. My advice is you are who you are. You just got to know who you are. I'm never going to feel good in the morning. I wake up and like, this sucks. But the sooner it doesn't suck. It's like when I exercise, as soon as I don't want to get on it, the sooner I can get off of it. I never want to exercise. All right, Marco, sounds like you're on like a turn style or something. Say again. All right. We're going to let you go. My advice says just know yourself. Hope that's decent advice. It's more practical than it is going to change your life. That not snoozing will change your life, especially if you're a snoozer.
Starting point is 00:32:25 Just know you're going to feel bad anyway. The sooner you get started and feeling bad, the sooner it's over. I don't even get a good mood to like nine. Show's over at 10. It's amazing. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Eddie's talking crap. There's no reason to talk crap.
Starting point is 00:32:40 I just said if you're going to play and I win, it's going to taste a lot better. It's all I said, dude. I'm going to play a music game. I know, and you're really good at those. Because I'm not running the game. I haven't seen it. So, Ramondo, you want to host it?
Starting point is 00:32:53 Yep. Can you tell me what the game is exactly? So I'm going to read the first line of a song, and you're going to then guess the song. And if you want to do artists, too, or we could just do song. Okay, rule one about game, just set the rules.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Don't give us the option. You guess the song, baby. You give us the option. Yeah, yeah. Don't give the players the options on how to play the game. Two, it's all 90s country, right? Is that what the tease was yesterday? Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Got it? Yep. Okay. I shouldn't be, I don't want to host it. You're kind of hosting it. I know, you're kind of setting the rules. I know. Okay, so 90s country songs.
Starting point is 00:33:23 We just get the song, right, Ramundo? Yep. Okay. You're going to read the first line of the song. All right, I'm ready. Go ahead. He was working through college on my grandpa's farm. I was thirsting for knowledge and he had a car.
Starting point is 00:33:37 All right. Amen. Let's read that again, please. He was working through college on my grandpa. My grandpa's farm. I was thirsting for knowledge and he had a car. In for the win. Yeah, I'm in.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Come on. I'll be showing my answer to the camera too in case if I want to see it. Cool. The answer is strawberry wine. Amy? Strawberry wine. Lunchbox? Strawberry wine.
Starting point is 00:33:58 Eddie? Strawberry wine. He was working through college. My grandpa's farm. I was thirsting for knowledge. What do they have, Nina? And he had a car. Yeah, okay, Ramundo.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Number two. All right. Looks like we made it. Look how far we've come, my baby. I'm in. Oh, sorry. You read it again? I just don't think I'm going to miss one of these.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Oh, yeah? Yeah, I don't. Codoo. You read it again? Confident. Looks like we made it. Look how far we've come, my baby. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:34:51 Amy's like humming it. I'm in. Oh man, I don't know. Hey Eddie, can you zoom in on the camera? The exact title. Alright, three seconds? Shoot. Here, let's see.
Starting point is 00:35:04 All right, time's up. The answer is, You're still the one. Amy? Can't see that. You're still the one. Eddie? Yeah, still the one.
Starting point is 00:35:14 Excuse me? Did you say, excuse me? Still the one. No. Oh, you missed it. Your still the one. Oh, no. That's what I was struggling with and I was
Starting point is 00:35:24 Looks like we made it. Look how far we've come, my baby. Money. All right. Give me another one. These are 90s country songs. The first line. Raymondo, give us that next one.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Out in the country, past the city limit sign. Well, there's a honky tonk near the county line. What? Too easy. Like, I'm country music's youngest historian. I'm missing any of these. Yeah, you should be ashamed of yourself. to myself. I'm in. I may not can win the drafts, but dang it, I win music games.
Starting point is 00:36:01 All right, um, the answer is, out in the country past the city limits sign, boot scooting boogie. Yeah. Thank you. Amy? Boots scoot and boogie. Lunchbox? Boots scoot and boogie. Eddie? Boots scooting boogie. All right, there it is. Out in the country past the city limit sign where there's a home get home to get the county line. How come you guys and tell me games are so fun.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Oh, yeah, they're fun. I always have to host them. All right, give me one more. Let's do two more. Five. Go ahead. I remember it all very well looking back. It was the summer I turned 18. We lived in a one room rundown shack. Whoa. I'm in. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:36:40 What? Amy, we're tied for the lead. Yeah, we are. Hey, Ramuna, can you read that again, please? I remember it all very well looking back. It was the summer I turned 18. We lived in a one room rundown shack. Hey, don't stare at me.
Starting point is 00:37:00 I know it. You're being cocky right now. What? No, I'm not. I'm playing a game. You're just staring. You're not breaking your stair. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:37:07 All right. I just don't know where to look. I'm in for the win. Lunchbox, what do you have? Garth Brooks. Eddie? I have fancy. It's fancy.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Yeah, it's fancy. Oh, thank goodness. Fancy. Oh, hold it up cockily. Is that the word? It is now. Whatever. Cocky recognizes coffee.
Starting point is 00:37:25 What do you have, bones? We're tied to four. Amy and I are tied at four. Eddie has three. Lunchbox has been eliminated because we have one left. He only has two. Ray Mundo, are you ready? Yeah. Last one.
Starting point is 00:37:34 You can. tell the world you never was my girl. You can burn my clothes up when I'm gone. Got it. What? You know that? What? Oh, yeah. Can you read that again, please, Ray? You can tell the world you never was my girl. You can burn
Starting point is 00:37:48 my clothes up when I'm gone. Got it. Oh, Amy, you're struggling over there? Amy, come on. We need you. Lunchbox, you're out. Yeah, you're out. Eddie, you're about to be out. No, I'm not. I got it still. Amy's struggling.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Do you hear that bus coming? That's the struggle bus. He's saying it with a certain beat, and it's throwing me off. He didn't read it like a sentence. He goes, you can tell the world. Oh, oh, you can tell me. Hey, one more, Eddie, don't. You don't do that, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Eddie, you can tell. Eddie. Five seconds. Five seconds. You can tell the world. Time. Is it Garth? Amy, what's your answer?
Starting point is 00:38:36 I don't have anything. Oh, Amy. Raymondo, what's the first line? You can tell the world you never was my girl. You can tell the world you never was my girl. It's achy-breaky heart. Eddie, what you get? Prop me up besides the jukebox when I died.
Starting point is 00:38:54 Come on. We made you fail. I love music games. Wow. Of course. Wait, are you guys hitting? No, no, you're good to win, bones. Fine, way to go.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Thank you very much. You can tell me. You're the king. is Ramundo? I can just roll through? Yeah, if you want one. Go ahead. Give me another one. Just the other night at a hometown football. Come on, stop it. You didn't win, Eddie?
Starting point is 00:39:16 I know, but come on. So this is what the winner gets to do. It's just fun. Hey, Bones, you don't have a victory song. I know. Pick one, quick. My victory song is just Earth. It's crickets. It's the normal sounds of nature. Birds.
Starting point is 00:39:26 And whatever's going around. Give me another, Ramondo. Creel Williams live down a bottle. Stop. Creel Williams. Get down dirt. Give me one more, Ramundo. Katie's sitting on her old front porch.
Starting point is 00:39:37 Oh my goodness. Tricia. Boom. Should I retire? No? Probably. Yeah, never play again. I'm a little much when I play.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Because had you not played, I would have won. That's true. That's not true. That's not true. I didn't mean you got last. Take it to Amy. Mama calling. Coming up the road.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Mama. Mama car. I don't know. All right. Blake Shelton, God's country. A little. I don't have to play if you guys want me to play. No, no, no, one more.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Because I never get to play and I get so excited that I actually can... It's fun, huh? Yeah, it's awesome. To win? Feels good. It's just fun to play. It's all just about the game. It's about the competition.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Ramundo, what you got over there? Yeah, at Capital One, there was a data breach. It affected more than 100 million people. They caught the person, but some of your personal information might have gotten out. In Houston, at least eight construction workers were injured after a hotel roof collapsed. Luckily, they only fell a little over. over one story. There were some broken bones, but all are expected to make a full recovery.
Starting point is 00:40:41 And finally, in North Carolina, they caught the pink lady bandit. Her accomplice was also arrested. Authorities are thanking the public for their help. All right, Rebecca in Virginia's on. Hey, Rebecca. Hi, how are you? I'm real good. Thanks for calling.
Starting point is 00:40:56 What's your question? So I went to a hoody in the blowfish concert this weekend. He's awesome. One of my favorites. And I'm wondering, is it inconsiderate to, I had pretty decent seats, and everyone around us seemed to be sitting down, but I really wanted to stand. And is it really inconsiderate to stand up, even if everyone around you is not? That's a good question.
Starting point is 00:41:19 I think a lot of people struggle with this when they go to shows. Generally, it was an outdoor show or an indoor show? It was outdoors. Okay. If it's outdoor and it's a concert, you can stand. Like, part of going to an outdoor show is people act like outdoor people. which includes standing. It's like at a football game.
Starting point is 00:41:39 If you want to stand, you should be able to stand and if someone behind you's irritated, you kind of know what you're getting into. Now, if you're indoors and you're going to a theater show where there are seats and you're in a theater seat,
Starting point is 00:41:48 it's a bit different. But even an arena, like Bridgestone Arena or Frank Irwin Center, you can stand. Like, if it's a big show, you can generally stand. The only time I would say no is if you have somebody handicapped or really old behind you. Because I did that, and I was like,
Starting point is 00:42:02 yeah, I was standing up in Vegas at a show. And everybody was standing up, but these poor old couple behind me was like, I can't see, Sonny. And I was like, oh no. What a jerk. I know. So I sat back down.
Starting point is 00:42:15 But yes, at a hooty show, I think it's kind of annoying your environment. If you're going to a Nora Jones show. Yeah. And there's not really a hype reason to stand up. Hype. No, no, I didn't call. You probably sit down.
Starting point is 00:42:28 If you're at a hooty show, you can stand up. Why, you were standing and they were mad at you? No one was mad, but it's just like you can't help but feeling inconsiderate. But they're like people tend over from us. That whole section were stand. And we paid for a decent seat. So 10 over from us was standing. 20 in the other direction, everyone was standing. And then it was like a pod of like 30 people who no one stood up. And you just couldn't help but think about it. But I still stood. I'm not going to lie. You also got to kind of read the room if you want to be comfortable. Listen, I think you can stand. But again, people are going to be yelling at you. Sit down. You can kind of read the room a little bit too and know if most people are or aren't standing. Okay. But you can stand. It's a concert. You can stand.
Starting point is 00:43:12 If people are mad, then they can shove it up their butt. Is that right? Right. Yeah. Thank you. You ever watch The Office, Rebecca? Yes. When Stanley says, hey, it tells a whole long story and he ends it with shove it up your butt.
Starting point is 00:43:25 No, nobody? I don't know. Thank you. Hey, Rebecca, you did okay. You're good. Anybody want to disagree with that? Sounds good. Not me.
Starting point is 00:43:31 All good there. All right, Rebecca. Thank you. Have a nice day. Thanks, guys. You too. Feel vindicated. You were right.
Starting point is 00:43:36 They were wrong. Nick and New Hampshire is on the phone. Hey Nick, what's up, bud? How are you? Hey, how's it calling, Bobby? Pretty good, man. What do you want to say? I was just curious. I've finally been able to get one of your books, and I wanted to know which one, if it mattered if I got the second one before I got the first one. I mean, they're written differently.
Starting point is 00:43:57 My first book is written with my heart. My second book is written with my brain. Because my first book is like my life story, and it gets a little deep and a little harsh at times and sad and happy. and my second one is more on my theory on success. So it's kind of up to you. One's a personal story and one's kind of like how I view how to get ahead in life, you know? So I wouldn't lose anything if I read the second one first thing. I think I'm kind of looking more for inspirational type.
Starting point is 00:44:24 Oh, you'll find inspiration in both. Listen, if you have them both, just read the first one first. If you have them both. They won't take it long. Oh, no, I'm looking at, I'm buying one of them. So I was trying to figure out which one to get first. Read the second one then. Go ahead and get that one.
Starting point is 00:44:35 It's called Fail until you don't. That'll be the one. It'll change your first. life. You'll probably be making tons of money, getting girls. It's like that. Look, the secret. Yeah. Oprah's whatever. Get that one. Awesome. I appreciate it, man. Thanks to take that time. You're welcome, Nick. Have a good day, bud. Hey, you too. All right. See you later. I hope he knows you were being sarcastic.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Was I, though? Oh. Yes, I was. Very. A guy in Houston took his girlfriend on a 16-mile bike ride a few months ago. And the route, because you know how you can look back at the route on your phone, wherever you've been? Like, if you run, it kind of shows where you've run. And the route, when they looked at it, said, marry me. Oh, I love that. He rode that route. And so she didn't know that at first.
Starting point is 00:45:19 Because she had to be like, what's up with all these turns? Right. The M's and the A's and the R's. But they rode the entire route and he showed it to her on the phone. It's like, hey, check out her route. It said, marry me. You would think about that. I love it.
Starting point is 00:45:31 Sweet, huh? It's thinking. Yeah. And it didn't cost anything. Starting point is 00:49:02 Disclosures. The Bobby Bone Show. Get a lot of notes here, a lot of emails. Now let's open up the mailbag. Bobby's Mailbag. Hey Bobby. My name is Amanda. I've been listening for five years.
Starting point is 00:49:16 Love you guys. I'm also in need of some relationship advice if you can help. Now, to make a long story short, after dating for three years, my boyfriend and I finally moved in together. I knew he was a bit of slob, but not very good at cleaning up, but it got a lot worse. He's a walking disaster area. I tried to change him, but he will not budge.
Starting point is 00:49:38 It's to the point where I have to decide if I want to live and possibly marry someone who won't even pick up after himself. I don't know what to do. I'm hoping you have some advice on how to change him. What should I do, sign Amanda. All right, Amanda, thank you for the email, first of all. We appreciate that. I don't think you can change anybody, so let me start with that.
Starting point is 00:50:00 I don't think you can change anybody. Like, just generally, you can't just go, please change and him change. You almost have to trade him like he's a dog. Oh, okay. And give him little rewards for the little things that he does. Interesting. Amy, you know this as well as I do. You're not just going to go, please, human being, change 180 degrees from how you're living your life to a new way to live your life.
Starting point is 00:50:23 Right. So that change will never happen. You can actually grow him like a little plant or like a puppy. What are her rewards? Well, listen, I don't know what they're doing in their relationship. Could be food. It could be massages. If you clean your room tonight, I'll make pizza.
Starting point is 00:50:40 In any sort of change to discipline yourself, it's not punishment. It's actually just a reshaping of how you think. You've just got to, you got to, apparently his mom or dad or whomever raised him didn't discipline him. That's not important to him. Ooh, discipline. You're not disciplining like trouble, but you have to read. Like I'm dealing with my puppy right now. He didn't develop the habit of cleaning.
Starting point is 00:51:02 He wasn't disciplined as a child. Right. To keep, maybe he's disciplined in other areas. You love him for some reason. You're obviously going to marry him. But in order for you both to be happy, they're going to have to be some concessions here. Yes.
Starting point is 00:51:14 So my advice would be take really small steps in making him better. Because once he masters the really small ones, then he can take on other smaller ones. And eventually, if you shift him 35%, you won. you're never going to shift him 100. He'll feel so much better if he becomes a little bit more tidy. But again, that's not going to convince him. You have got to train him.
Starting point is 00:51:35 Okay. Men are dumb. Right. You've got to train the man. And he's not going to do it because he wants to be clean. He's got to do it because you're giving him something that he wants maybe a night to play poker with his buddies. I don't know what he needs. I know.
Starting point is 00:51:48 But I'm just trying to picture this conversation of like, does he know he's getting a reward? Because like, she can't be like, oh, you know, if you pick him. up after yourself or fold all your laundry, you get poker night with the boys. Yes, you can. Amy, men are dumb. Okay. You could literally go, hey, listen, I know we've been fighting about how much you play video games. I'm willing to make a deal on this. Like, if you pick up your bathroom, I won't even hassle you. You can have an hour every day to play video games. Okay. If you pick up the bathroom every day, we'll come to an agreement here. I know. It's just, I sound like I do, that's what I do with my kids. Yeah, that's what you need to do with men.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Okay. All right. All right. That would be my suggestion. You're not going to change him. but you can shift him slightly, and you also have to let go a little bit of him being Mr. Clean, because that will never happen. I think, too, sometimes when you realize something like you're annoyed with in a partner, like think of things that you might be doing that are also annoying, and maybe you can work on that, and y'all can have an adult conversation about it and be like,
Starting point is 00:52:48 hey, look, I know that your messiness really bothers me. My nagging bothers you. How about... You're talking from your own heart right now. I feel it. Right. So... That's what you say to your husband?
Starting point is 00:52:58 We work. Well, I think we try to have conversations of like, okay, this is what's happening with you, this is what's happening with me, this is how I feel. How can we make this better? What can we do each other? Individually, what can we do to make this better?
Starting point is 00:53:10 And maybe he'll realize, like, oh, I guess if I pick up a little bit and she works on her nagging, then boom, it's like, I don't have to listen to her nag. There you go. To think you can change him, is a fallacy. False, not going to happen, ever, fake.
Starting point is 00:53:27 He has to want to change. Yeah. No, he's not going to want to change. You got it. Stop saying, but I don't like you saying people can't change because they can't. No, they can slightly. They don't change. You don't just go, please change and they change. Right. I agree. It is a very, very slow evolution. Work, work, work. Yes. People don't just change. People don't evolve. So yes, I do say that. You have to evolve people. You can't change. You don't change. I used to press snooze all the time. I don't anymore. I used to never make my bed and I make it now. And you evolved. But this is all later. I know it started. But I mean, those are little changes that I never got to be a bed. I'm now changed forever. You went, let me see if I can do one week. And then you got one week. I'm like, wow, I did it one week. Yeah, I know. Then let me do two weeks.
Starting point is 00:54:06 You didn't just change. Well, let I'm change now. Now I don't like snoozing. If I don't make my bed, I have a bad day. I immediately go home and make it. I'm like, what's wrong with my day? Hmm. And then I make my bed and I'm like, wow, day better.
Starting point is 00:54:20 That used to never bother me. But now that I'm a bedmaker, it bothers me. Lunchbox, your thoughts. Look, if you want a clean house, clean it. Oh, wow. You knew exactly what you're getting into, and you know that you're supposed to clean up. You like a clean house, so clean it. If you don't like a mess, that's your problem.
Starting point is 00:54:35 He's comfortable living in a mess like I am. So my wife has to clean up after me if she wants it to be clean. Is this Lunchbox's wife? They emailed. I don't think so. Says they're not married yet. Well, she's disguising. Oh, true.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Amanda. You can call us or you can text in, whatever you want to do, and share us your input on that. You can text us. Just send your message to Bobby. That's the phone number. 26229. 26229. All right, thanks for that. Amy, thank you. Lunchbox. Thank you. Eddie, you have this issue with your family or no?
Starting point is 00:55:03 Not really, man. I'm clean. Are you? Are you? Yeah. You don't fold clothes, though. I do not do laundry. That's the only thing. But I do dishes. I make the bed. I clean my whole bedroom last night. Yeah. Do you want a cookie? No, I want that reward you were talking about. Well, only if you've been bad. Okay. Like, if your kid always makes straight A, you don't give them a reward for making another A.
Starting point is 00:55:23 Correct. Oh, that's a bummer. I know. That was my life. Yeah. That first day, though. Yeah, there you go. Listen, thank you for the email. And that is the mailbag. And that was Bobby's mailbag.
Starting point is 00:55:36 I know it's early. Appreciate you guys listening to early. If you're listening on the podcast right now, that's a cop out. It's later in the day. We're glad you're listening, but it's much easier to listen at 3 p.m. You know what I mean? Yeah. All your early morning listeners, the e-mills, we appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Do you all listen to things on time and a half or whatever? No. Speed up podcast? No. They're like Mickey Mouse talking. It's not too terribly fast. but you can get through so much more content. That's true.
Starting point is 00:55:59 I can assume like... We should talk in time and a half. We should get two bits in instead of one. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 second skinny. Keith Urban's daughters will be voicing characters in the new Angry Birds movie too. They're playing baby birds
Starting point is 00:56:14 and in a new trailer you can briefly hear them being attacked by the Green Piggy's and that movie is going to be out on August 14th. Karen and Kimberly of Little Big Town teamed up with Ingrid Andrus for Cracker Barrow's 5. Decades One Voice. They sing a cover of Dixie Chicks' Wide Open Spaces. Wild Open Spaces. Lil Nazex and Billy Ray Cyrus broke the record for the longest number one ever, spending 17 weeks at the top of the Billboard 100 chart.
Starting point is 00:56:54 I'm Morgan number two. That's Your Skinny. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. A five-year-old boy in Chicago woke up in the middle of the night and he smelled something. He's like, man, what is it? There's smoke. Oh my goodness, the house is on fire. He ran around the house waking up mom, dad, brother, sister, had some cousins spending the night,
Starting point is 00:57:15 got all 13 people out of the house because he woke him up saying fire, fire, fire at five years old. Wow. Amy, what would happen at your house? Like, your son's old enough now to know that, right? Yeah. Yes. If he were to see a fire, I hope that he would be like, there's a fire. Like, I hope he would try to get everybody out and not start making s'mores.
Starting point is 00:57:35 He's eight? Yeah. Okay. Just making sure. Start cooking hot dogs. I don't know. Maybe things fires. That's pretty cool, though, that a five-year-old did that.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Eddie, what's your youngest son? He's five. I have a foster son younger than that. But we have a fire plan, dude. Would your five-year-old know, though, to run around and wake everybody up? I don't know. You never know unless these things happen. I don't know what do you do.
Starting point is 00:57:58 But we've prepared as much as we can. We have two stories. So we have one of those ladder escapes. Like, you just kind of throw out your window and you attach it. So we've taught everyone how to use that. And we have a plan on the refrigerator for everyone. Have you done a run through? Like, they've climbed down it?
Starting point is 00:58:11 We've thrown it out the window. Oh, wow. So it's attached to the window? No, so it's in a box now, but you take it out of the box and then you attach it to the window and you throw it out. How long does that take? I don't live in New York City, bones. No, but again, you got to take it out of a box and fire? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Why don't just run down the stairs? Well, in case the stairs are on fire. That's what you do. Yeah. Why not take it out of the box? They just have it ready. Oh, it's by the window. And it's in that really hard plastic to get open.
Starting point is 00:58:37 It's still taped. And he's like, it's in the downstairs closet. And there's a code. Right. Nobody's perfect. It's in the garage. That's cool, though. It is cool that you do have a fire plane.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Yeah, it's good to think ahead. And shout out to this kid, five years old, and saved a bunch of his family. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones show. Bonehead. Story of the day.
Starting point is 00:59:00 This story comes to us from Manhattan. Two guys picked a wrong time to rob a jewelry store. They went in with some hammers, stole a couple, watches. Only problem is the news was filming a segment next door and caught them both on camera. That's funny. Do you not look at your surroundings? And they did it in daylight, huh? In daylight. And they were shooting a little piece about how hot it'd been or something in New York. And there they are. Going in and coming out, faces, boom, easily identified and arrested. Wow. That's wild. That's funny. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 00:59:30 I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. everybody, thanks for hanging out with us. Ramundo is our audio producer, and he also runs the board during the show. He's in the glass room. Ramundo, good morning. Good morning. Ramundo is asking us if he can go to an elementary school playground
Starting point is 00:59:59 to do what? Well, so there's a basketball hoop there, and it's about eight feet high, so it would be perfect for dunkin. I want to make these videos and put them on Instagram. Just look sweet. I could do between the legs, behind the back. Otherwise, 10 feet, that's way...
Starting point is 01:00:13 We've done that before. It's tough to dunk on 10. You can't. dunk on 10. I did it though where I was able to pull myself up from the net and then hammer it down. But what's your question about the playground? In the off season, when kids aren't in school, there's nobody there. Can I go to a playground? Because I've honestly been talking to lunch about it and he thinks that I could seriously just go onto a playground. There's no keep out signs. Keep out. Keep out men in their 30s.
Starting point is 01:00:35 And otherwise, it just remains unused all summer. What a waste of community space. Amy? I mean, yes, I think as long as there's not kids there, then it's fine. Otherwise, leave it to the kids. Didn't you used to work out while kids were there? Yeah, that one was more of a, it was a family-type park. I'd seen other adults there, and I just turned it into a workout area. So what if it's monkey bars and stuff? Who says you can't work out and that type of stuff?
Starting point is 01:00:59 But there were a lot of kids there. Tons of kids. It was very popular park. It was downtown. He's like, excuse me, kids, I'm doing pull-ups. Can you get out of my way? So can you play on the basketball goal at an elementary school while school is not in? Yeah, if you guys think it's a go, I'm going to do it.
Starting point is 01:01:13 This will be a big-time video, especially for dunks and stuff. Like that sweet moves, you know. Okay, I'm going to say yes, you can. Yeah! But then, do you think people are going to, like, repost your dunk videos? Oh, it'll probably be pretty sweet. Honestly, I've been thinking up these videos. I might have to jump off something for the dunk, but otherwise, I think I can come pretty
Starting point is 01:01:34 dang close to pulling it off. They made the hoops really low for the kids. I have one of those mini trampolines you could come borrow it. That would actually be a great addition for the video. Yeah. When are you going to shoot those videos? I want to do in the next couple days. My chick gets off at four and then we can hit up the playground.
Starting point is 01:01:50 And she's going to shoot her for you? Yeah, I've talked to her. I said, hey, I run by it every day and there's never kids there. I think this is the perfect time. I wait another two weeks. Kids are back in, and they're there all day long. Okay. Is she a good Instagram wife?
Starting point is 01:02:03 Oh, yeah. Well, I'm a great Instagram boyfriend. I guess Instagram girlfriend. I know, but that's kind of the term. And you guys are pretty good still? Oh, greatness, dude. It's the summer of love in your mind still? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:14 You'll probably get engaged a summer? Yes. What's the end of summer for you? Whenever those leaves start falling, baby. No, no, no, that's just like fall. That's the beginning of fall. Like, what in your mind is the end day for summer? When you walk outside and it is freaking cold?
Starting point is 01:02:28 Like, on the calendar, what to you is the last day of summer? End of September? In the September. No, no, no, no. That's definitely fall. Like Labor Day? What's the official end of summer? If it's still in the 90s, it's summer to me.
Starting point is 01:02:42 Okay. So I'm not, whenever, you'll know, when it's not summer anymore. Halloween? No, that's way too late. But no. Raymondo's like, when the turkey goes gobble, gobble, we're still thinking to maybe summer. End of summer is, Amy,
Starting point is 01:02:55 you ready for this? What? The end of summer is Monday, September 23rd. What? Like, it literally is. He does have time. And I guess leaves would be falling at that time. And today's...
Starting point is 01:03:05 And temperatures would be dropping. July 30th, July, August. Yes. You're going to propose in the next two months. Mm-hmm. Gearing up. Definitely nerve-wracking, but I'm ready for it. Is this going to be one of the...
Starting point is 01:03:14 things when it gets to September 23rd or whatever you're going to be like, now I'm going to do it in the fall. Well, that would be the worst. The fall of love. No, it'll be a better payoff than that. Trust me on that one. And do you have something in your mind? Not that you have to tell us something in your mind now? Yep, I look outside and see it every day.
Starting point is 01:03:31 Oh. The clouds. The sunset? The playground. Yep. Yep. You're going to dunk in her honor? Boom! Will you marry me? Yeah. You look outside and see it every day. Absolutely. I don't know what's out of his window. He's moved to a new place.
Starting point is 01:03:44 No, definitely not the parking lot, but I live in a very beautiful part of town, and there's multiple locations that are looking real nice. Does she hassle? You're like, when are you going to propose? No, she doesn't. For us, it's understanding where we just kind of leave it be. It's going to happen. All right. Okay. Who, uh... Are you going to run your idea by anybody, or are you just going solo? I'm, I pitch it to the guys. See what they think?
Starting point is 01:04:08 The guys? Yeah. She probably pitch it to me and Bobby. That's probably... No, that's the girls. I know. I'll feel it out. But yeah, yeah, people are going to know about it because I got to get other hands in on this one
Starting point is 01:04:19 if I'm wanting fireworks and stuff. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Eddie can do the fireworks. Yeah, I'll let him. I love fireworks. And you've been together for how long? Six years.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Wow, look at you. And you're how old? I'm about to be 34. And she's how old? She's a year younger, so 32. All right. Are you going to have one of those parties after you propose where family and friends
Starting point is 01:04:41 are like they're waiting after she says yes? Oh, yeah. Whatever is traditional. That's what we're doing. I don't know if that's tradition, but it could be fun. It's just risky because in case they say no, you're like, oh. She won't say no, though. She won't.
Starting point is 01:04:51 Oh, she's for sure saying yes. Do you plan to get married quickly? Give it a year or whatever's traditional. A year. You all have been together six years. All right, Rayne, one, thank you. Go shoot your videos. Let us know when you get it out.
Starting point is 01:05:08 I'll have it this week. He proposed this. She said yes, and she has it ready right then. Right. I'm so glad you asked. Starting point is 01:08:37 It's a Bobby Bones show. There's always drama. around Amy's house. There was a guy last week who was just shooting at cars near your house. Yeah. I have two friends that were getting out of their car, and they got carjacked. Yeah. And then the robbers couldn't figure out how to work their car because they had a pretty nice car
Starting point is 01:08:54 and they couldn't figure out of how to work it. So then they just were like, ah, we're out of here, never mind. They grabbed all their stuff and ran away. Like they tried to take the car. But this is all happening with like three blocks of your house. Yes. So cops there again? Yeah, and I mean, I'm used to seeing cops honestly, because you know, that's just one of the things that we've become accustomed to.
Starting point is 01:09:11 But I mean, this was like on my street, like multiple cop cars. They pull up. They get out. And I'm like, what is happening? Something's about to go down. And we're all trying to like look out the window. I can't really. I'm trying to go to my closet window because it was like clothes or whatever.
Starting point is 01:09:26 I try to open it so I could hear, but I couldn't hear anything. And I'm like, what is happening? Still don't know what happened. But multiple cop cars swarming in on my street, they get out. And I'm pretty sure one of my neighbors got arrested. They have guns out? I didn't see guns. Oh.
Starting point is 01:09:40 that I noticed, I don't know, I couldn't see every angle. That's the problem. I had like things in my way. And then, yeah, because of the shooting guy a week ago, I didn't want to go outside for safety concerns. But I definitely have to figure out just to make sure that I don't know what it was for, but I want to find out to make sure that, you know, my kids are safe. And whatever the reason is, I want to make sure that, like, we're still good to go outside.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Well, that was the question I was going to ask. Do you let the kids just go play down the street without your supervision? I let them play in our alley up and down. That's pretty much where you can go by yourself. It's like the alley, which is so sad because when I was a kid, you know, not to sound like, oh, back in the day, but we can ride our bikes wherever and go to the park and do anything. But not in my neighborhood.
Starting point is 01:10:28 You can't go to the park by yourself. At the park, that's where I ran in the kids that stole my kids' bikes. Got them back. But, yeah, there's just, we have a very diverse neighborhood, which I like. but yeah the kids are only allowed to play in the alley what did you say to your son that scared him oh I wanted to eat some of his french fries and so you know as a parent
Starting point is 01:10:48 I don't know do you have that saying where it's like oh before you eat those you better let me test it out to make sure they're not poisoned oh that's a saying yeah y'all never heard that maybe a long time ago yes a long time ago but for whatever reason it came to me where I was like I want some of his fries
Starting point is 01:11:05 but I don't want it to be like I'm just taking his fries So I was like, oh, before you eat your fries, I'm going to take a few and eat them just to make sure they're not poisoned. You know, I care about you. And then he's like, what? He's like, my food could be poisoned. Like he just, I forget, he takes things so literally and it was totally lost on him. And then it went on to this, you know, all day tangent about could my food possibly be poisoned? Like, how do I know?
Starting point is 01:11:30 Should you test all my food? Should other people test my food? I mean, all day. And I was like, Stevenson, it was a joke. I was just joking. I just wanted your french fries. And that was my excuse to eat them. But I mean, it still took him a minute to really just grasp that he wasn't being poisoned.
Starting point is 01:11:45 Did you still eat the french fry? Yeah. And then I was like, well, this is before he's really expressing confusion. I would already, I took the fries and I started eating them. I was like, I guess they're good. I'm glad I didn't go with. Well, they're poisoned. You better give all of them to me.
Starting point is 01:11:58 Because I just, he just takes it so literally. So I can't do it. I was talking to your daughter the other night. I was at your house. I was like, hey, are you watching friends? She was like, yeah, it's pretty good. But I like watch it once upon a time. Oh, she's hooked on that.
Starting point is 01:12:11 For whatever reason she started that. Me neither. But she started it a few days ago, and she loves it. And it's kind of killing our friends vibe. Yeah, it's totally been surpassed in her eyes. Oh, no, no, no. That's just because we didn't have. It's okay.
Starting point is 01:12:24 I was like, what are you doing this summer? Anything fun? She was like, volleyball. And I was like, well, how was that? She goes, it's okay. I said, are you good? She goes, I got better. She goes, I'm not good.
Starting point is 01:12:34 And then I said, do you make any friends? she goes, I wouldn't say that. I made more than I had, but I wouldn't say they're friends. I know. We're struggling in the friend department. Like, we don't, yeah. And I was like, but aren't you excited to go back to school?
Starting point is 01:12:47 Nah, whatever. Yeah, we'll see. No, she told me the other day, she doesn't want to go to school on Fridays. She's like, can't school just be Monday through Thursday? And she had this whole thing about Fridays and how it made more sense. And I'm like, she's smart.
Starting point is 01:12:59 And what she was saying actually was making sense. But I was like, no, babe, you got to go Monday through Friday. So, yeah, she doesn't. want to go back at all. And your son's ready for his birthday. He was like, my birthday's coming up. It's all he talks about. Yeah. And with your daughter, you gave him such a big party. Yeah. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 01:13:15 That was, yeah, no, this year she got to go to New York for her birthday. I know. She's crushing the birthdays from the big party in the yard to the New York. What do you do? Anything from him? You don't want to say? No, we're going to Austin. Yeah. So he's going to get to see Papa and Mama Bee and Papa Bee and Papa B for his birthday. So I sure didn't get that. That's a stretch. I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:13:36 I got to figure it out. But he's younger. Things are... He's nine. Yeah. He's turning nine, but not emotionally and stuff. He's not nine. What do they say?
Starting point is 01:13:44 He only turns nine once. That's right. Right. Yeah, no. Hopefully, I got to think of some good stuff, but we'll be good. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Okay, so, Stranger Things, Season 3 is out. A lot of people are watching it.
Starting point is 01:13:57 And there are scenes of one of the characters, Jonathan, developing photos in a dark room. But a lot of young kids are watching. the show, they've never been in a dark room. They're not used to seeing film develop that way because everything's digital for them. And so they're like, what is up with these red rooms that people are constantly in? And it's not a red room. It's a dark room, but all the young kids are calling it a red room. I got to be honest.
Starting point is 01:14:21 I don't know that I've ever been in a dark room. Never? Not even in like high school? I mean, I went to the, we were lucky to have a cafeteria. We didn't have a photo lab. Oh, what about, y'all? Did y'all have a yearbook? Yeah, but I think we sent things off.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Oh. One hour photo Yeah We went down to the To the Nikon Store and got those little Tchchch cameras Disposals
Starting point is 01:14:44 Yeah I don't know that I've ever been in one I know what it is from television Yeah But yeah So there's like you know Stranger Things Chat rooms or online discussions Chat rooms
Starting point is 01:14:53 Well I don't know Also a thing Yeah Just a lot of questions They're like What's up with this red room What's this red room all about And then a lot of people
Starting point is 01:15:00 are feeling old Because they're like It's called a dark room And that's where you develop photos All right, what else? So, Polar Products is a company that specializes in hot and cold therapy, and they have come out with a bra that is like ice packs. So amazing.
Starting point is 01:15:15 It's called Cool 58 Brawl Coolers, and they look like the chicken cutlets, you know, that sometimes you can like wear, you know, if you want to look a little curvy or whatever. And you put them in the freezer, and then you put them in your bra, and it keeps you cool for one to two hours. So it's not the whole bra. No, it's like little cutlets like insert. Like little ice packs. Is this something that you... But shaped to your body.
Starting point is 01:15:37 I mean, summer's hot. Like now, and there's like a two-week wait list for these little bra coolers that they've been around for years, but they're just now getting like a buzz online where women are hearing about them. And now there's a two-week wait list. But in case you're into it, you can check it out. Because some people, like, that's a place you want to keep cool. Can't you just put your bra in the freezer? Like literally?
Starting point is 01:15:59 It wouldn't last, though. It wouldn't last. It would last like a second. Like, you'd go outside and be like, okay, well, that was fun. but these are designed in a specific shape. You can actually, I mean, because you can go get an ice pack from your lunchbox and stick it down your shirt. But it's not going to look. My pants.
Starting point is 01:16:13 But not even to cool myself down, just for the visual. Well, it's not going to look flattering or good. Yeah, yeah, the ice bag, dude. Sometimes it's an ice chest. I just get one of those pulling, plug it down in there. This is like an act. It's designed to still look like, you know, your boobs. So it doesn't look all deformed and weird.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Genius, right? It's one of those things I was like, ugh, should have thought of that. Save me for putting that Yeti down there tomorrow. That Yeti 110. All right, what else? Well, Kellogg's just announced that they're coming out with a baby shark cereal. It's got berry-flavored, o-shaped pieces and some marshmallows mixed in.
Starting point is 01:16:52 I just love the song. I know, I kind of just wanted an excuse to play the song. I mean, they're making so much money off Baby Shark. I don't even know who they are. Right. They're not in this country, right? I don't think so. Yeah, I don't know who they are there.
Starting point is 01:17:02 Turn that jam up, Ramundo. Do do do mommy shark Daddy Shark I love Baby Shark This song was out a long time too Talking about not being discovered for a while They didn't put this out and it pop It existed on the internet for a long time
Starting point is 01:17:17 Oh really? Yeah And do we know who wrote Baby Shark My idea's gonna put it up on my screen Because this song's been like a Billboard Hot 100 I wish we did Pink Fong Is the children's educational brand
Starting point is 01:17:33 of smart study. It's a South Korean educational entertainment company. Wow. Who made this jam. Turn it up again. I'd never get this far. Me either. What's he saying? Run away. From the shark. Okay, so there's a little depth of this song. I thought it was just all baby.
Starting point is 01:17:56 No, there's a shark. There's a shark when you. Okay. All right, there you go. Amy, is that it? Yeah, Amy, that's my pile. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This person on a bus in San Antonio witnessed
Starting point is 01:18:10 super active kindness by the driver. Put it on Facebook. Johnny Alvarez captured the moment when the driver named Mike went above and beyond to assist another passenger in a wheelchair and her two small children. Alvarez posted that the driver left his seat to help unbuckle a woman in a wheelchair from her seat and then helped her off the bus at a busy and dangerous street. He said that instead of just stopping there, the driver helped her and her young sons cross the street during intimidating traffic. I got out of the bus and said, okay, you shouldn't be crossing. I'm going to help you cross. and continued assisting not only her, but them all the way through a small intersection too,
Starting point is 01:18:43 staying with them until they reach their next bus stop destination. So stop the bus, which yes, stop the bus for people to get off. Yeah. But then got out with them and made sure they could cross the street and get over to their other bus stop. That's customer service. Above and beyond. Yeah, and that's a good dude looking out for others too.
Starting point is 01:18:59 And that is what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bowles. Over to Amy with the Morning Corny. Here we go. The Morning Corny. What do you call an exploding monkey?
Starting point is 01:19:25 What do you call an exploding monkey? Bab boom. Bab boom. There you go. That's pretty good. That was the Morning Corny. We're going to look at the top three songs in country music this week. Here's Tuesday's top three.
Starting point is 01:19:45 Your number three song, if you'll hit that one, Mundo, there it is. All to myself. All to myself. At number two, it's Luke Combs. Beer Never Broke My Heart. There you go. Long day, guys come,
Starting point is 01:20:05 never broke my heart. And your number one song is Merrin, Morris, and Girl. And congratulations to Marin. There it is. Your biggest song in top 40 pop music is Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. Don't play it yet. Amy, can you sing, I don't care? I don't care if you're loving me in.
Starting point is 01:20:35 Good, there it is, yeah, that's it. Because I don't care when I'm with my baby yet. All the bad things disappear. You're making me feel that maybe I am somebody. The number one alternative song is Billy Eilish, bad guy. Do you know that one? I'm a bad guy. Kind of?
Starting point is 01:20:53 Do you know it or are you just guessing? No, I have no idea. Hit that one. So you're a tough guy, like you're really rough guy. Oh, now I know it. What's up with your son? We were at your house and he kept going, Alexa, play, blah, blah, blah.
Starting point is 01:21:07 And I was like, Stevenson, why are you talking crap to Alexa? And he goes, no, it's a song. No, it's a song. Yeah, it's a song where they just go blah, blah, blah. Yeah, no. Who sings that? It's annoying. I have no idea.
Starting point is 01:21:17 Is it like a YouTube song? He'll have to ask Alexa. He still wants her to come to his birthday party. Oh, and Alexa, he now has to be very, clear with her because she's been playing the not clean version. So he's like, Alexa. No explicit. No. Yeah. That's what he yells and he can't really say explicit and it's so cute. And he's like, Alexa, no, not the explicit one, the clean one. So what does he want with Alexa when she comes to his birthday party? To hang out. What does he think she looks like? I have no idea. I should ask him. I'll ask him today. Because in his head he has to be picturing some woman.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Yeah, I'll ask him today. Record it? They have full blown conversation. I mean, you see how he talks with her. You have the conversation that's like this. Alexa. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Do whatever. And it's like, what? I don't understand you. It takes like three times.
Starting point is 01:22:02 Oh, I know. Sometimes he has to be like, Mom, can you come talk to her? Because his accent's so thick. Yeah. Today in country music, here we go. Hit it, Raymondo. The Bobby Bones show. On this day in country music.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Today in 1954, which was 65 years ago, Elvis gave his very first ever build performance. Oh, Elvis, please. Thank you very much. We can go pretty much. Like your remote. However, he is mistakenly billed in the paper as Ellis Presley. No. It was his first big concert he opened for Slim Whitman, who by the way was a yodler.
Starting point is 01:22:36 You familiar with Slim Whitman? No. And so it was in Memphis, but Ellis Presley, girls of all ages went crazy. And they began screaming, jumping around, losing control themselves, and applauding. Hey. When Elvis came off stage, she said, Why was everybody yelling on me? and he was like
Starting point is 01:22:53 No, no, no, they loved you He goes, well, I thought they were yelling at me Pretty mom, pretty, pretty little Yeah, wait him, hey him, I was just scared, I was just scared, stiff, you know what I was like? Pretty long. Yeah, he was like, why was everybody, what was everybody yelling?
Starting point is 01:23:04 I don't know, what was I doing? What was I doing out there? I was just trying to sing my songs and everybody was yelling at me. Thank you. Yeah, on this day, Ellis Presley had his very first ever built performance and that is on this day in country music.
Starting point is 01:23:17 Hit it. That was On this day in country music. I have not seen the results of yesterday's draft. I'm going to tell you, that's the only shot I ever have in winning this thing is I picked Jesus' mom. Yeah. If I don't win, I'm never going to win a draft. I'm never going to win a draft.
Starting point is 01:23:32 Will someone bring me the results, please? Adam and Eve. And Adam and Eve and Mary and Joseph. Someone would say I was pandering, and some would be me. Let's see the results. I finished second. Oh! What?
Starting point is 01:23:44 Morgan number two? Yeah. Okay. And she's in charge of these polls. Oh, conspiracy. Oh. Right, guys. I mean,
Starting point is 01:23:54 Hey, y'all can count the votes. That's fair is interesting. You can count them. Wow, this is interesting. I will say this. My best showing. I'm kind of proud of my best showing. I've never finished second.
Starting point is 01:24:04 Do you like second? No, I don't, but I like improvement. Like, I can look at any improvement and go, all right, we're on to something. Okay. But I don't see how, how did Jesus' mom not win? Right. We did a celebrity couple draft. A bunch of heathens voting.
Starting point is 01:24:19 And all my people that must not like the Bible. Right? Yeah. Yeah. I had Marian Joseph, Adam and Eve, and Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman. Right. Up there. A bunch of pro bowlers right there.
Starting point is 01:24:31 Okay, wait. So who were Morgan number two's? Yeah. Please tell me. Not even that good. I'm being a hater right now, Morgan number two. Here's Morgan number two's. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.
Starting point is 01:24:43 I mean, that's solid. I don't. As number one? Do you follow Chrissy Teigen on Instagram? She's funny. She's so funny. Let me just lay them up against each other as draft picks. Marian Joseph versus Tim and Faith.
Starting point is 01:24:54 Oh, yeah. But nothing against Tim and Faith, but yes, you're right. Okay. Keith Urban and Nicole Kittman versus Chrissy Teigen and John Legend. Come on. Right. It's close. And then finally, Monica and Chandler versus Adam and Eve.
Starting point is 01:25:06 Come on, Adam and Eve. Morgan number two, you win. I'm being a hater. Nice job. You were definitely just tearing this game up. Morgan number two with 42% of the votes. I came in second, lunchbox third, Amy fourth. And Eddie, here at last.
Starting point is 01:25:20 I think just all your kids voted and you got a couple percent of course. Oh great. So I got... You have 19 kids. I think they all got online. Wow. People didn't appreciate my couples that used to be. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:33 We're not doing a draft today. Do we have options for tomorrow, Mike Dee? I know we were talking about cereals. Oh, cereal would be good. Yeah, that'd be really good. We may sit on that one a minute. Oh. But Morgan number two now has three wins.
Starting point is 01:25:48 And we've done this three times. Right. No, we've done it. We only started keeping score after a couple. Okay. You're a little bitter today. Well, no. Like, I'm just kidding a little bit.
Starting point is 01:25:56 Because I thought, I am too. I'm not, Morgan number two. I'm not serious. Go ahead. But a little bit. No. I mean, I don't think I should have won, but I just find it interesting. Me too.
Starting point is 01:26:07 Okay. There's a lot of conspiracy theories about you running the internet and also. Mm-hmm. And all those theories come from Mamie's mouth. Hey, I am happy to turn over all of the ways people have voted and you guys can count for yourself. What is that? A great hack. Oh, on Netflix's a great hack.
Starting point is 01:26:23 Morgan Amateur 2 is running a great hack. Yeah, you're working with that company. You got Cambridge Analytica running this. Cambridge Analytica. They're stealing the election in here. You're winning, fair and square. Whatever, whatever. She's got all people's data, the 5,000 data points on people,
Starting point is 01:26:37 and she knows what they want to hear, and they wanted to hear. Morgan Analytica? Is this Morgan the new company? Okay. I do know the people. You know, I'm there. I'll take your suggestions for sad songs is one we could do tomorrow, but I don't feel like that tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:26:51 I have cereal. I'm not really feeling that one tomorrow. Oh, sad songs. I'll let you guys think about it and we'll pitch. Maybe in the post show pre-show today, after the show. We'll pitch our draft concepts. Cool?
Starting point is 01:27:04 All right. There you go. Coming up in a second, what time of the day we're on our best mood? Like scientifically, what time of, there's a small block that we are in our best mood. And I read this, I didn't much like it.
Starting point is 01:27:16 I'll tell you why coming up in a minute. Plus the top things that instantly left our spirits, and Amy says her husband went Uncle Rico yesterday, which is a dated reference? Yeah, but it happens time to time. To our younger listeners, that means someone who used to bask in their glory of yesteryear. Because people may not know what that means if they're below 25. From Napoleon Dynamite.
Starting point is 01:27:38 Did you ever see Napoleon Dynamite Morgan number two? Yeah, but I really didn't get the Uncle Rico reference. Wow. So tomorrow's draft will be Rikos, famous Rikos. She doesn't know him. I'm feeling pretty good about it. That's how to get her. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

The thing that people comment on the most when they watch our show, because you can watch
Starting point is 01:31:24 it live pretty much, just go to Facebook.com slash Bobbybone show, is that I just have all these sharpies. I love sharpies. I have big fat ones, I have middle ones, I have skinny ones, and I haven't marked on my table yet, by the way. How about that? Let me ask you a question. If you have a piece of moldy cheese in the fridge, is it okay to cut away the mold and still eat it? Right? I was taught that was okay. I don't know if that's correct or not. But growing up, that's what we did, and I still do it.
Starting point is 01:31:52 The USDA says toss it because you can't cut around it. It's don't make you sick. Ew. It's especially true for soft cheeses, like cream cheese or brie, but they say don't. Because you're likely not able to get it all. And you won't be able to see it all either. Oh. What about bread?
Starting point is 01:32:06 Because growing up, there was a, there was a, I wouldn't even cut it away. I just throw away the bad pieces. Mm-hmm. A bad slice. Yeah. Yeah. And then find the ones without greenhouse. on it because we couldn't just go buy bread all the time.
Starting point is 01:32:17 I do the same thing with blueberries and raspberries. You open up a box. You can't see in the grocery store all of them. I open up the box. Sometimes some of them have mold on it. So I get rid of the ones that have mold and I just rinse off the others. Fine. I feel like it's fine too. I feel like they're just being super safe. I think that's like
Starting point is 01:32:33 changing your oil every 2,000 miles. Yeah, get out of here. Like who does that? No one. And cheese is moldy. Right? Isn't it age? Yeah, I don't know. If I were to say,
Starting point is 01:32:45 When are you in your best mood, like time of the day? It varies. But if I had to pick a time, I'm going to go with 10 a.m. Wow, really. Between 6 and 9 p.m. Oh. I'm in bed for most of that point. Like, I'm asleep from, you know, hopefully 8 to past.
Starting point is 01:33:03 Do you think that's because, like, we're off work and you're at home and you're able to relax? We're happiest between 6 and 9 p.m. Because you get to unwind from work. On weekends, people start feeling good a lot earlier around 11 a.m. Here are things that can put you in a good mood. Can I get a drum roll, please? At number five.
Starting point is 01:33:22 Finding money in your pocket. Yeah, that's fun. Yeah, even if it's a dollar, you're like, today rocks. Number four, getting a compliment. Yeah, that's nice. I just never trust it. Why? Someone says something about me, I'm like, what do you want?
Starting point is 01:33:41 Not that special. Yeah, I'm not a big compliment, get her. I don't do well. You complimented my jacket this morning. I know, I'm a good compliment, giver, not get her. Because I always think something's up. Somebody's up to something. What do you want for me today?
Starting point is 01:33:54 I think your jacket's awesome. I was like, Amy, your jacket's A plus today. Thanks. Number three, going for a walk. Yeah. You like walking. Yes, love it. Things that make us feel better.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Number two, when the sun comes out. Okay, depends. What time of morning is that? I guess we're here. We never see that. And then number one is a good night's sleep. That'll do it. How'd you sleep last night?
Starting point is 01:34:15 I mean, okay. Your husband and I had this long conversation at your house the other night, and I was just, I had dreams about it for the last two nights. And I had nightmares for two nights and I wrote about it. You're dreaming about him? He's part of the dream. Yeah. What's happening? Well, it starts and we're, him and I were only one in Tokas, right? Interesting. No. We were just talking about the internet and stuff.
Starting point is 01:34:39 And you've been having nightmares? Yeah. Wow. Uh-huh. Okay. But I both, I woke, like, what? And I wake up, and I'm like, what? I'm like, d'ar, that Amy's husband.
Starting point is 01:34:48 Did he put some stuff in your head? Yeah. Okay. Great. He probably does that to you too. Yeah, but I mean, I'm used to it. One and out the other. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:56 So anyway, there you go. Finally, flowers is honorable mention. You don't like flowers. Also, honorable mention, getting a hug. Yeah, I like hugs. The Fortnite winner had his social media account broken into, the teenage kid who won $3 million. And his name is Kyle Gersdorf, or I think Buga,
Starting point is 01:35:18 It's how you say his screen name? Because you need a screen name. Ammy was hating on him yesterday. But the 16-year-old's fallen victim to a hacker who decided to access the newly made millionaire's Twitter and Twitch accounts. So right when he won, the dude hacked it. Remember when I won't dance with the stars? They hacked my account? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:35:33 And we couldn't get back into it for like a day. They were right. A bunch of mean stuff too. So, and then they asked this kid some questions. What do I have them saying, Raymond? They ask him what his days like? Do you have that clip? This is on winning $3 million.
Starting point is 01:35:44 Okay, let me play. Let me hear that clip first. Here's him on winning $3 million. Go ahead. I feel pretty amazing, honestly, but at the same time, like, not too much emotion, just because it hasn't really kicked in yet. What are you going to do with $3 million? Definitely just going to save it and put it towards my future. Is there another clip or no?
Starting point is 01:36:04 That's all I got for now. Okay. By the way, he doesn't get $3 million, right? He doesn't? Well, no. Well, taxes? Hell, yeah. Even at 16-year-old, do you get tax?
Starting point is 01:36:13 Hey, welcome to the real world, buddy. It isn't like mowing a yard where you say, I'll just, I'll just. do it for 25 bucks and they give you 25 bucks. This is, you won $3 million. Here's $1.3 million. No, that much? Still a lot. Well, taxes are brutal. Yeah. Yeah, it's still a lot, but that's not the point. The point is you don't get $3 million.
Starting point is 01:36:30 Right. Welcome to adulthood, kid. Save that for your future. Yeah, stick that in your... Well, that's a lot to stick in there. Yeah. So, yeah, I saw that. They made $3 million. He's 16. And it was the first ever tournament where it was so big.
Starting point is 01:36:43 You know there are a bunch of kids going back to their mom's going, I told you mom. I go in millions of dollars. look, they won. And a bunch of parents yesterday and today are like, oh my goodness. Right. Why did this even happen? Do your kids play Fortnite, Eddie?
Starting point is 01:36:55 No, they don't. I don't know why they miss that train, but... Maybe they're too young. My 11-year-old mentioned it a few times and we never got it for them, so then it kind of passed. And yours definitely don't. No, they don't even know what it is. Because your daughter's the oldest and she doesn't.
Starting point is 01:37:07 They'd be like, we build a fort in the... It's Fortnite? Yeah. Wow. What's happening? Thank you for calling the Bobby Bone Show. Yeah, thanks, Bobby. Been listening for about seven years, but mostly on the podcast.
Starting point is 01:37:21 I'm in my car for an hour today and thought I'd give you a call and be able to say hi. I look at that. So you listen on the podcast. If you've been listening for a long time, what is your favorite part of the show? I have to be honest. I really love when lunchbox guests late. That is a very popular segment. Yeah, it's a very popular.
Starting point is 01:37:42 But hey, I have a question about that. Okay, go ahead. Can I ask lunchbox a question? Yeah, go ahead. You, all right, lunchbox. So, like, just sitting here talking to me right now, are you, like, secretly guessing my weight in your head? No, I got to get in the mode, in the moment.
Starting point is 01:37:58 Like, I don't do it all the time because I would wear myself out. It's exhausting, and I get tired afterwards. I'm like, I just wondered if every time you talk to somebody in your head, you're going, oh, I bet they're 150 pounds. Do you, every time you see somebody in lunchbox? Are you sizing them up, though? Yeah, when I look at them in person, I'm like, oh, I know how much you weigh. And you're listening to their voice.
Starting point is 01:38:17 Yeah, listening to their voice for clues. But yes, on the phone, I mean, it's like studying for a test. You get really tired and afterwards you just let it flush. You need a break. I can't do it every day or else I'd be just a stress ball. Not here yet. And Amy, we are huge fans in morning morning. Oh, yay.
Starting point is 01:38:36 Do you have kids? I got three kids. I tell it we do the joke every day. We call my mom and we give her the joke and see things they're absolutely hilarious. Well, thank you. Thanks for listening live. Yeah, thanks. Glad of guys to speak with you.
Starting point is 01:38:49 Yeah, me too. Thanks, Julie. See you later. All right. Bye-bye. Bye. McKenna in Denver is on the phone. Hey, McKenna, how are you today?
Starting point is 01:38:57 What's up? McKenna, how are you today? Going once, twice. We're missing on so many phone calls. There's something we're not doing, right? Still, because there's just too many. Before we had the new studio, this never happened. Now they drop all the time.
Starting point is 01:39:10 There's something lost in translation here. Maybe I, do I need to yell louder into the microphone. No. I don't know what's happening. It is weird, though. Because you do have to always ask twice or three times. We don't get to. And I know more people just aren't hanging up now than they used to.
Starting point is 01:39:24 And then they're not getting intimidated by you, Amy. Mm-mm. All right. So there's that. Let's talk about your husband for a second. I saw him at your house. You had a barbecue on Sunday night. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:35 And him and I were hanging out a bit because he got his truck back to the government had taken. Yes. We talked about it on the air. Yeah. So he finally got it back. We were hanging out and I was talking about, oh, check it out. I don't even know what kind of truck it is. I don't know anything about cars.
Starting point is 01:39:45 It's like a 1980 Land Rover. Yeah, it's pretty sweet. It's pretty cool and I'm like... We put a lot of work into it. It didn't used to always look that cool. But he brought it over from England when he served over there, like, because he was stationed in England and he was able to bring the truck back for like free. Paid nothing for it. And now it would be over here, it'd be worth like a lot of money. Well, to watch me talk about cars is pretty because I'm like, that's pretty. Four wheels. Are those four tires? Those four wheels? Does that go fast?
Starting point is 01:40:11 Yeah. Does Rico rocks? I have no idea to talk about cars. Right. But I mean, it's just cool. Like the FVICs did, now we've got it back, so y'all are talking about it. We're talking about that, and we're talking about the great hack that show on Netflix, which you guys had just started. Yeah. And then afterward, I was like, hey, man, you should come to my gyms.
Starting point is 01:40:30 I have a couple of gyms that I own in Nashville. And he was like, man, I've been thinking about it. He's like, oh, I'm going to come. And so, all right. And I say, are you a member of the Y? He goes, yeah. I said, I played racquetball. And I played against my friend Jared.
Starting point is 01:40:40 And he wasn't very good. And I haven't played it a long time, but I would like somebody that's a skill level higher to play against. And he's like, oh, I'm real good. Right. And I was like, oh, wow, you are. Interesting. I didn't know that. Me neither.
Starting point is 01:40:51 And he's like, yeah, I'm real, real, real good. And so that's where you and I left off yesterday. Right. What did he say when you went home? Well, I had to go home and follow up because I, we've been married 12 years and I had no idea he had racquetball skills. Never even heard him talk about racquetball. But apparently he said it's a big, at least at the Air Force Academy, it was a big thing.
Starting point is 01:41:09 And like his dad went to the Air Force Academy. Apparently his dad's real good at racquetball. I don't know. So it's part of his college. life. He said back in college, I killed it. But I mean, he's 42 now. So college was 20 years ago. Well, that's when I played two college. I'm 39, so we're not that different. Right. But are you like talking about how you were so amazing back then? I took one class. I took a class because I had to get a PE credit and I was okay. Yeah. No. I mean, he said we played all the time. He's amazing. Basically,
Starting point is 01:41:40 also that it runs in his blood because his dad's amazing. I'm sure his grandpa played. Genetically, he's a great racquetball player. Like just the way he was. He's a great racquetball player. Like just the way he was Uncle Ricoing this racquetball skill that he has that I had no idea he had. And he said he's going to like start training a little bit and he wants to take you on. He's going to train. I just wanted to play a game. Another guy's trying to fight me. He's challenged me to a UFC match.
Starting point is 01:42:00 No, I think like literally he might be going to the Y today to like. What was his challenge to me? He wants to play you. Oh, I thought there was some sort of challenge like he was talking garbage. I mean, no, but he thinks he can beat you for sure. I mean, I'll play him. Remember when we played tennis? You and I, we had a tennis vet.
Starting point is 01:42:18 And I crushed you, right? Yeah, but you were sandbagging. Bobby acted like he wasn't very good. You're right. And then he made me think that I could beat him. And then we had this ridiculous bet. Well, was that the car washing one? Probably.
Starting point is 01:42:30 We were very immature. Very. And. Amy had to wash my car in a bikini. And I took pictures to put him on the internet. These days, that would not fly. Yes, you can. What's wrong with a bikini?
Starting point is 01:42:42 It just, first of all, I wouldn't accept the challenge. I'm going to put them on the internet. We were looking for clicks for our website. And I was like, if I win, you have to watch my car in a bikini. I'm going to post them all at Bobbybones.com. And she did. So anyway, Bobby acted like he wasn't very good at tennis. And then we go and we play.
Starting point is 01:42:58 And even in the first few rounds, he's like acting like he's not very good. And then boom, he like bust out. He comes out of the gate. I think you're remembering this incorrectly. Andy Roddick style. I did have all the equipment from him. He did give me all the equipment back back. I remember that.
Starting point is 01:43:13 And then I, yeah, I lost. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this couple did something really cool when it came to their wedding registry. Instead of registering for gifts and having people buy them all the things they need to fill up their home, they decided to ask for school supply donations. Shout out, Kelly Carter.
Starting point is 01:43:36 She a teacher? Yes, Kelly's a teacher. She married Matt Cameron. And when they started planning their wedding, they were like, you know what? We don't need typical wedding presents. Let's just do something that she knows because she's a teacher that's a need. And they created an Amazon registry and guests could go in there and shop like the school needs. And I think they had 70 full backpacks for students to start the school year.
Starting point is 01:43:58 That's pretty awesome. One, to get the kids what they needed. And two for them to go, you know what, don't buy us anything. Yeah. Like on two different levels. It's very selfless of them to not think about themselves and to think about others. The school even gave a list of items that their students could use. And it was everything from notebooks, which and stuff that you need, but also things like socks and underwear.
Starting point is 01:44:16 That's a good one. And I think it doesn't have to be school supplies, but let's say you got what you need. Right. You could be like, well, maybe to the animal shelter. Or you could just put it as one of the things on your registry, like a donation to the animal shelter. Yeah, as an option. As one of them. Yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 01:44:31 That's awesome. That's what this segment's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Yes, Bobby Bow. This girl posts a video of her riding a roller coaster. She's like, all right, here we go. And then in the middle of video, she gets pegged by a bird. Oh.
Starting point is 01:44:45 Like the bird was just flying by. Well, bam, right in the face. And you see feathers. Oh, no. And she wasn't seriously hurt. But how about that? That's a cool video to have. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:55 That's good content. She posted it on Facebook. She hit a bird. Right in the middle of it. Pretty funny, huh? Yeah. Forbes put out their highest paid DJs. Amy's at number two.
Starting point is 01:45:05 Oh, Amy. I'm just kidding. He's joking. It's like, like, like, fricking, fricking. Like Calvin Harris. Oh, okay. Do we have clips for these, Ramundo? And number five, Diplo.
Starting point is 01:45:16 You guys familiar with Diplo at all? Yeah, I know the name. Play me at some Diplogr. That's Diplow? Tell me. That's good. And number four, Steve Aoki makes $30 million a year. What's his song?
Starting point is 01:45:30 Hit me. I don't know that one. I mean, I know what he looks like. He's huge, right? Yeah, I know what he looks like. I don't know. Yeah. Calvin Harris, Taylor Swift's boyfriend.
Starting point is 01:45:40 Number three, $38 million. I feel so close to you right now. It's like a force feel. Yeah, jam, right? Number two is marshmallow, the dude with the marshmallow head. That's your boy. Makes $40 million a year. This song with Kane Brown is the jam.
Starting point is 01:45:59 This is the jam. Turn that out of all, right? I'm out of DJs that I know. You're going to know. Big ones. two, it's two people. Oh, oh, oh, the dudes, the dude.
Starting point is 01:46:20 I know. They played, we saw them at eye heart. None of your words are sentences right now, but so focus in. They said you know. They did a song with Kelsey Ballerini. The chain smokers. That's them. Together, they make 46 million. Now, do you split them up? Right, because then...
Starting point is 01:46:35 But they're an artist. Yeah, I guess for their particular talent, that's what they're bringing in. Turn that up. That's a good one. Dang. Those are the richest DJs. Old Town Road yesterday became the longest running Billboard number one song in Hot 100 history. So, boy, made some money off this. He owns his own publishing too, which means he just owns it.
Starting point is 01:47:04 Still won't let us put out old folks home. Still better about that. Like, come on, share the wealth. I don't want your money. I'm actually going to make you more money. Old folks don't make you like $19 probably. Right. That's number one.
Starting point is 01:47:15 The songs that beat out was, Despacito, which had tied for the record, which, yeah, Daddy Yankee, Louis Fons, Justin Bieber. And then one sweet day, Mariah Carey and Boys to Men. For what it's worth, a lot of people are going, hey, what's up? Like, Lil Nosex keeps putting out remixes, and that counts. So the new rules allow remixes of songs to contribute to the chart total. So that's why he keeps putting out these new songs. Well, what about charities?
Starting point is 01:47:54 Really an idea. They won't let us put it up. We've tried. We've tried. We wrote the greatest song. greatest parody of the past three weeks. Yeah, we think so. In the history of the world.
Starting point is 01:48:03 Yeah. We can't even put it out. So, yeah, saw that. You know what else I watched? It was pretty good. It's really good, but the Kimberly Schlappmann, Karen Fairchild, and Ingrid Andrus
Starting point is 01:48:13 doing wide open spaces. Ooh. Because Cracker Barrel does this whole thing where they, Morgan number two, you're talking about it, and you're skinny. Yeah. It's like 50 years of something. Yeah, they're celebrating their 50th anniversary. Is that what it is?
Starting point is 01:48:25 Mm-hmm. And they put this. Raymond, do play some of this of these together. I'm a big fan of everything involved in that from Kimberly Schlattman and Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town I think Ingrid's fantastic. Love the Dixie Chicks. Like that's just awesome.
Starting point is 01:48:56 I saw it on one of their Instagrams yesterday because I follow all of them but it's pretty cool that Cracker Barrel is doing all that. Yeah. I want to put on Michael and New Hampshire. Hey, Michael. Hey, how's it going, sir? Pretty good.
Starting point is 01:49:08 Hey, I've just been told I can give this prize away too. I'm going to give you a prize, Michael. You did not call for a prize, but I'm going to give this to you, okay? Okay, here we go. All right, that sounds awesome. Let me read the script. I just read the script. Ramundo?
Starting point is 01:49:18 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hey, thanks for calling in. We're going to hook you up with a $50 gift card to Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, so they gave us some gift cards to give to our listeners. That's what we're, that's, look at that. I appreciate that. Thank you. Do you have Cracker Barrel in New Hampshire?
Starting point is 01:49:35 I do. There's actually one, probably about a half mile from my house. Perfect. Dude, half mile from your house. I would never not go. never go anywhere else. To be honestly, I haven't been there probably about a year or so.
Starting point is 01:49:45 Well, count your lucky stars because do not hang up on this calls over, Michael, because after you say what you're going to say, we're going to make sure you get a cracker about a $50 gift card, okay? All right, I appreciate it. How many of these are a happy giveaway? Six? All six to Michael?
Starting point is 01:49:58 Oh, one at a time. All right. All right, you get $50, Michael. And now what would you like to say? I just had, I guess, a question of your, of how you guys go about your business and how you get ready for the next day. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:50:10 Also, how you guys do the advertisements for certain cities, too. Okay, go ahead. Do you have a specific question, or is that just kind of one of these? You just kind of want us to fill you in a little bit? Yeah, I guess fill me in a little bit, too. I just want to learn about the radio industry, I guess. It all started back in 1891. This is what happens.
Starting point is 01:50:32 I go home at night, and I open my computer and I go, holy crap, I got to fill five hours a show tomorrow. And I open up my computer, and I'm like, there's no way. I'm going to be able to fill five hours. And so I just start popping Mike D. with notes. This, this, this. Some notes don't even make sense. And then he starts collecting it.
Starting point is 01:50:48 Amy will send some ideas, some notes. Eddie, lunchbox, they'll send a note or two. And I kind of make a whole sheet of things we're going to talk about the next day. Then I wake up in the morning at like 3.30 and go over it and cut about half of them and start over with the new cycle. And then by the end of the morning or before we go on the air, we have a whole sheet, about five hours worth of material. And sometimes we get through all of it. Sometimes we don't. And then that's kind of how the show works.
Starting point is 01:51:10 It sounds like an interesting and stressful process. Yeah, every night I go, there's no way I'm going to fill tomorrow's show, but every day we come in and we do. And then what was your other question? I guess just the, when do you do your advertisements for certain cities? You do them during a commercial break before or after. Great question. I get in and do about an hour's worth of commercials and station liners every day before the show starts. So I will go into my office and I will just pick it up, be like, all right, Bakersfield.
Starting point is 01:51:38 Garth Brooks is coming to town. He's doing the Die Bar tour. And I'll just read off pages and I'll go from Bakersfield to Vegas, Vegas to D.C. And it takes me about an hour every morning before the show starts. I'm in there about 15, 20 minutes and Amy hops in. And we have about 10 seconds where we go, hey, hey. And then we kind of start doing stuff together. And then we walk in about five minutes before the show starts and get rattling. I appreciate that, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:52:03 A little behind the scenes. Do you like that? Is that interesting? It is interesting. I like it very much. There you go. I appreciate the call. Do not hang up because I'm going to get. give you this $50 gift card, okay? All right, thank you so. You have a good day. All right, bud.
Starting point is 01:52:13 There's Michael in New Hampshire. Hey, let me grab Alan in Oklahoma real quick, who's on the phone too. Hey, Alan in Oklahoma, you're on the Bobby Bowen show. What's up, bud? Hey, Bobby, how you doing? Pretty good, man. What do you want to say? Hey, I just wanted to, it's actually a question for the team or whatever.
Starting point is 01:52:28 Now that you guys are, like, live on Facebook all the time, has it changed, like, the way you guys interact or anything or, like, you know, you getting dressed in the morning or anything like that, you know, now that you guys can be seen all the time. That's a good question. I felt like the first week I was really conscious of it. Now I don't. I found myself picking my nose yesterday during a song. Oh, my bad.
Starting point is 01:52:47 Well, Eddie puts me on during songs. He just keeps me on. And I was like, oh, I wasn't even picking my nose. You know what I do? I rip my nose hairs out when they get long. I just grab them and rip them out. Yeah, you do do that. And I caught myself doing, hey, hey, no, I'm talking to.
Starting point is 01:52:59 It's a talent. I'm talking to Alan here about. I'm being vulnerable right now. That you're able to do it without tweezers. Yeah, like right now. He's got so many of them that they grow. I'll go to sleep full. no nose hair and wake up and they're like tickling my lip the next morning. Wow.
Starting point is 01:53:13 It's like somebody water the plants right before I go to bed. That's a real thing. Yeah, crazy. Yeah. But I caught myself ripping my nose hairs out on camera yesterday. Other than that, I don't think about it very much. You? Yeah, I'm starting to get over it. So that's good. Not over it. You're starting to be used to it. Well, however you want to say it. I'm not saying I'm over it. Like, I don't want it to happen, but I'm starting to not think about it. You can watch our show on YouTube. It's live. On Facebook, it's live. On Twitter, it's live. You can just watch the show as we're doing it for the most part. And Eddie runs it, has all the cameras over there.
Starting point is 01:53:41 We have mini cameras in the studio. Like the control room. Yeah. But over there. But I'm right here. Yeah. All right. Alan, how you feel about that answer?
Starting point is 01:53:50 Hey, I think it's good. Like I said, I'm watching you guys actually on live Facebook. And I'm on my other phone talking to you guys. So it's actually kind of a cool little interaction. You're watching yourself right now. Oh, kind of in a way, yeah. All right. Hey, thanks, Alan.
Starting point is 01:54:03 Have a good day, bud. Hey, you guys too. All right. It was such a, they hyped it up like,
Starting point is 01:57:35 oh, this is going to be something you've never seen before. So I sit down last night for two hours and it was nothing. Well, it was a two night finale, right? Right, but I thought we were going to get the fireworks last night and then get an update tonight. We got no fireworks last night. Nothing. All she did is at the beginning of the episode, she cuts one guy and then she goes on her family meets the last two dudes and goes on her last date with the two dudes. No dramatics.
Starting point is 01:58:03 Nothing. Like there was no like dramatic breakups or throwing glasses or anything. It was just drawn out nothing. So, hey, Raymond, I want to do clip three. All right. This is Hannah shares concerns about Nashville, Jed, his music career because she's like, I don't know. You can't do music. That's not like a real job.
Starting point is 01:58:22 And so her parents apparently have a problem with that. Here's that clip. I feel very loved by you. But I know my dad was so skeptical of the music thing and how that was stable for family and for supporting me in your life. I know that. There has to be somebody that will have to sacrifice that points
Starting point is 01:58:44 for the other person, and I've definitely thought about that. I like Hannah and I know her a little bit, but she talks weird. Everything's kind of like, yeah. It's like, ah. Don't they all talk like that on The Bachelor? Do they? I don't.
Starting point is 01:58:58 They're always just like, I love you. No, this is, they're laying down, like, in a romantic setting. It's not like they're just standing on a, you know, they're like cuddled up. and like whispering sweet nothings in each other's ears sweet but yeah Hannah B's parents all they cared about Jed was how much money how are you going to how are you going to make money how are you going to make money that's all they ask of unfair though to worry about who you're marrying and if they can
Starting point is 01:59:18 actually support be a part of this support of the marriage here is Hannah giving an update before part two of the finale which is tonight by the way go ahead the past couple of months have been really tough and emotional I know there are a lot of ramers out things and honestly, tomorrow and I, I don't know what's going to happen. But I have a lot of questions that need to be answered. So I hope I'll be able to do that. She's talking about like Jed, Nashville Jed, having a girlfriend. My friend saw Nashville Jed running.
Starting point is 01:59:55 Oh, yeah? Yeah, down the street the other day. Close to your boxing gym, I think. Yeah. Does he go there? No. Yeah. Because sometimes y'all run outside there.
Starting point is 02:00:03 Yeah, on the sidewalk. I don't, I'm not a big fan of that. Running. Yeah, just in general, running. I don't like a big fan of that. Nashville, so tonight it's Nashville, Jed, and who's the other guy? I think his name's Tyler. I just don't really know his name, really.
Starting point is 02:00:16 He's kind of just quiet dude. So she cut Peter the pilot. Yeah, she cut Peter the pilot, and we got some clarification how she said that they did their thing in the windmill twice. Turns out of those four times. And I'm like, why would you admit that? Yeah, we don't need to know these details. I don't get it. Well, there's a lot of details we share that people go, even we share things.
Starting point is 02:00:34 I liked it, though. It was pretty funny. Why do you share that? Anyway, tonight, tonight too. I will not be watching. I'll just watch Twitter. Like, Bachelor Twitter is funny. There are a few Twitters I kind of get involved in, and that's one of them.
Starting point is 02:00:46 I'll just look at all the results. The debates are tonight and tomorrow night. I'll be dialed into that. I love a good debate. They're having the debate on the same night as the Bachelorette season finale. I mean, what are they thinking? That's millions of people they're missing out on. I don't think that it's probably the same audience that they're playing for.
Starting point is 02:01:05 Well, we'll find out tonight. I know who she picks. Oh, you still haven't told me. Oh, was it supposed to tell you yesterday after the show? Yeah, we forgot. Here, I want to play this. This is Kelsey Ballerini talking about hosting CMA Fest. Here you go.
Starting point is 02:01:17 We decided the first year we were like a little too casual about it. Last year we were like, oh my God, welcome to the stage. Just like two extra. So we decided this year just to like talk like we normally would talk at a festival. We'll see how it works next year. I don't know. There you go three hour special, eight seven central on Sunday night. this week is Kelsey, Thomas Rett, and myself
Starting point is 02:01:37 we're hosting this. And there's a lot. Special collaborations, including Lil Nas X, joined by Billy Ray Cyrus and Keith Urban, Kelsey Ballerine, the chain smokers. At one point, Eddie and I and Adam Sandler get out there and play together. Yep. It's amazing. It's a real fun. So watch out for that one. Yeah, I may not make the cut. We'll see. I've heard an edit, they may have cut it. But it happened for sure.
Starting point is 02:01:56 Yeah, yeah, yeah. We brought out Paul McCartney. It's a crazy thing. It's pretty nuts. Yeah, it's wild. Then Skinnerd came out. Right, right. Remember that time? when we were playing though too. Remember that time when Led Zeppelin came out too? Yeah. And I grabbed the guitar and did the solo on it. George Wright was like, let me have a shot. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:12 Watch it. CMA Fest Sunday night. All that stuff doesn't happen, but the rest of the stuff does. Tim McGraw and Luke Combs play together. CMAFest.com if you want to check that out. Let's go to Jeff in Pennsylvania, who's on the phone right now. Hey, Jeff, appreciate you calling the show. What's up, buddy? Hey, Jeff, it's me, Bobby.
Starting point is 02:02:31 Hey, what's going on, Bobby? You're on the air, dude. I'm watching it right now. Thanks, man. I can hear it in the bag. What do you enjoy about it? Yeah, yeah, I know. That's cool. Hey, you gotta work. Yeah, what do you do for a living?
Starting point is 02:02:56 I actually am a cook. Oh, yeah, what's your specialty? Like, if you got one deal, Jeff, what are you going to make? Oh, man, how long you let that sit? Listen, and that aujus? And that aujus us? Oh, man, aujou all the time. He's over and the meals on me, buddy.
Starting point is 02:03:14 And where do you live in Pennsylvania? Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. All right. Well, I appreciate the ajou all this. time. Thanks, bud. If you ever come over to Georgia Shore, Pennsylvania, just look up the shore diner. I'll take care of you when you come over. All right, bud. Appreciate you. You have a good day.
Starting point is 02:03:30 Hey, you too, man. I see you later. Yesterday, it was yesterday afternoon. I was hanging out one of my friends who goes, hey, if I can't do anything, you should write with this writer in town. I was like, all right, cool. So he comes over to the house, and I was like, all right, and we're writing songs for Eddie and I's next show in our. our next live record. We did a live record in Boston. We're probably going to do one in Little Rock this time.
Starting point is 02:03:54 And so he comes over and we just write these funny songs, right? We write two songs. One of them's called, you can't say that in a country song. And then one of them is about all the holiday, other too many days, like National Cheesecake Day. Yeah. So we do these two little things and we had a great time. The guy's super funny. Great songwriter. I don't really know much about him because a friend had set it up. And so it's like a blind writer date. Writing date. Yeah. So we had a little. leaves and I decided to Google the guy we had a great time. We got to know each other pretty well
Starting point is 02:04:24 and his name was Jim Beaver's and I look it up he's written so many humongous songs if I would have known this I probably would have been a little intimidated in the right. He's written songs like Dirk Spentley 5150550 Dirk Spentley sideways Here's that one He wrote drink a beer with Chris Stapleton for Luke Bryan
Starting point is 02:04:48 Oh wow So I'm gonna sit right here Toby Keith Red Solo Cup Tim McGraw I feel good on my lips I'm not even good to a whole list I'll do one more Watching airplanes from Gary Allen
Starting point is 02:05:07 So I had no idea And yesterday was the first day we wrote And we made another date Is it a date? Are they called dates? Oh yeah Sure Mostly I just write with people that I'm Eddie and I
Starting point is 02:05:21 But you know got lucky with a ringer yesterday Yeah smash hits coming at you and if you like him he could be like the writer yeah I think he has real I think he had a right cancelled yesterday oh so he was probably writing real songs
Starting point is 02:05:36 yeah he's like doing like real stuff yeah yeah so that's what I did yesterday wrote a couple wrote a couple songs hopefully we're gonna play him in Chicago this week Eddie doesn't I gotta send him over to Eddie yeah I gotta learn them and Eddie's got to learn them
Starting point is 02:05:46 but here's the thing too I'm embarrassed that I'm not a really I can just give me a guitar I can get by right I can play guitar a little bit but I get embarrassed and whenever you write a song I need the guy to write all the chords down
Starting point is 02:05:59 so I can practice and I don't want to tell them I couldn't just hear it by ear I can't, I don't just hear it and go I can play that so I have the whole song but I don't have all the chords so Eddie you get hopefully
Starting point is 02:06:07 Oh I'll figure it out Eddie's like a real musician I'm like a poser musician And so, but I was embarrassed to be like Will you write down all the chords you're playing So I can practice Because I wanted to fit in It's a G
Starting point is 02:06:17 I know I wanted to fit in so bad But yeah So that's what I did yesterday afternoon Cool Wrote with Jim Beaver So now when you write with him for your second? For your second date, are you going to be a little, now that you know all his hits? I'm all right.
Starting point is 02:06:31 You're good now? Yeah, that'd be good. I was looking at a picture of Justin Bieber and he got a new tattoo and he also got an eyebrow piercing. Oh, wow. And a flashy diamond grill. This is on his Instagram. I just think Justin Bieber's so bored. Like, what do you do all day when you have lots of money and not an everyday job?
Starting point is 02:06:51 You do things like get tattoos all of your body or pierce things. You're like, I mean, he's just. He just got married, right? Yeah, probably he's bored. Oh. He's like, I'm bored today. What do you want to do, Haley? I don't know.
Starting point is 02:07:01 Noon to two, we're free. I just think, like, what do you do when you have a job that you don't have to go to every day? Right. And you have every option in all the money. You probably just get bored. The eyebrow ring. It's a lot. It's front and center in the picture.
Starting point is 02:07:15 And he has this grill. Front and center of his eyebrow? Wow. It's in like front of the picture. Oh, it's like front of the picture. And he has a lot. grow, $50,000. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 02:07:27 It's a seven-carat piece from the jeweler, the gold teeth god. So, yeah, Amy, it's like right here. I'm Googling. It's like on the side. Yeah, no, I got it. I see it like in the picture now. It's not really through his eyebrows. It's like below it, like down towards it close to his ear.
Starting point is 02:07:45 Like if you're going eyebrow on the end of the eyebrow toward the ear, that's where he has it. What do you think about that? I mean, what if I showed up with that? I would be like, are you bored? You'd be like, you need to get that out and get Botox in your head. Look at his forehead. He's got wrinkles in his forehead. All I look in the mirror, every time I look in the mirror is I think of Amy,
Starting point is 02:08:02 we tell him any Botox in my forehead. I remember that. Every time I look in the mirror, Amy has scarred me now. Okay, then I need to apologize and take it back. First of all, it wasn't me that said it. I was saying something else. And I think you asked, do you think I need Botox? You can't unring a bell is a famous saying that I came up with.
Starting point is 02:08:19 That took from someone else. Okay, but you can't alter the story either, which you have done. Mm-mm. Mm-hmm. I don't think so. Yeah, you said, I said it. That's all I'm saying. That's it. We're done today.
Starting point is 02:08:29 Amy, where are you going today? What are you doing? I am working out today because I didn't get to work out yesterday, and I am excited about just moving my body. So I'm going to do that and hang out with my kids because I didn't get to really see them yesterday either. What about you? I have a big meeting up here at 10.30.
Starting point is 02:08:46 Much like yesterday where clients flew in to hang out with you all day. Yeah. Clients are flying in today to have some meetings with me. So I have that all the way through dinner tonight just about. But in the middle of it, I have a phoner about Lady Anabelle. Interesting. Billboard is doing an interview because it's a 10th anniversary of Lady A. I'm looking at my calendar.
Starting point is 02:09:04 Of Lady A's Need You Now. And I'm talking about where I was 10 years ago when that song busted. We were doing pop. At least I was. Were you on the show? Yeah, you were on the show 10 years ago. Yeah. So I have that today.
Starting point is 02:09:17 I'm going to try to get a workout out of him, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to. But that's what's up. Just trying to make the company some money so they can pay me. You know what I mean? Have a great day, everybody. We will see you on Wednesday's Bobby Bone Show. If you want to follow me on Instagram, it's at Mr. Bobby Bones. You can check out my new eyebrow piercing that I will post later on today if you want.
Starting point is 02:09:34 I'm going to, maybe a cheek piercing. Well, I'm going to get one of those what you put under the nose. Oh, those are good one like Pumba. What do you call those? A bullhorn? A boulding? A septum? Bullring.
Starting point is 02:09:44 No, no one calls it a boring. Oh, I thought that's what I was called. All right. All right. All right. news between your breaking news with me the Gecko. Here are some things you ought to know today. People who switch their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year.
