This is the Bobby Bowles show. That's right. Ah, here are you.
Starting point is 00:03:09 What's happening? Welcome to Wednesday show. Moy's Studio. Morning. Thank you guys for waking up with us. Let's see what's happening in everybody's life with our segment. What's the Haps? Hey!
Starting point is 00:03:20 Hey! What's the Haps? What's the Haps with you? Well, I tell you, it's pretty cool. I got a good story today for you. I was watching PBS. I like to learn. And sometimes I have some real cool documentaries on there. And so I'm over just seeing what's on PBS, and there was the Ray Stevens Cabo Ray, his musical little talk show.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Now, if you're not familiar with Ray Stevens, he was a music comedy guy who, as a kid, I loved so much. He had an example of The Streak. Here you go. Oh, yes, they call him the streak. They were a lot of funny songs. It was a big deal. He still maybe has a theater in Branson did that for a while, or he had Mississippi Squirrel Revival. Here's this song right here. The squirrel went to Zerk. In the first out of Baptist church.
Starting point is 00:04:11 In that sleepy little town of Pasquitoula. So I'm watching it and I'm like, I love this show. And they were showing old clips of Ray Stevens like in the 80s and 90s in his old music videos. I think the raging idiots, Eddie and I are a hybrid of race demons and Adam Sandler. That was really my big influences. So I watch it and I get on my computer and I send a note. And Eddie and he doesn't know this show. We're going to play his show on PPS and Jane.
Starting point is 00:04:35 you're wearing. Are we really? I've seen the show. It's great. That's awesome. So it's like a lot, you know, it's a small show. It's a little studio audience in there. Yeah. And so I was like, I love Ray Stevens. Can we be on this show? And they hit us back and they're like, sure, we're taping in the first of the year. So Eddie and I're going to go play Ray Stevens' 's show on PBS. Love that. Yeah, I thought it's pretty cool. Cabaret. Yeah, Ray Stevens, Cabo Ray. For me, that's a big deal, because it's something that I've always looked at as being cool. So pretty excited about that.
Starting point is 00:05:07 That's what happened with me. That's what's the hay. Hey, what's the hat? Amy, what's up? Okay, so have you all ever heard of a magnetic windshield blanket? Okay, so as we're approaching winter, I had never heard of this, but if you don't have a garage and you have to park your car outside, one of my friends just bought this blanket that has magnets on the corner so it stays put and it goes over your windshield. And then if it snows or ice is over or anything, which, you know, that happened to her the other day. and she said it was amazing.
Starting point is 00:05:34 She just peeled off the blanket and boom, she could see. And she didn't have to, like, go pour water or do anything. Like, she could get in her car right away and drive safely. Where do you get that? She said she learned about it through a Facebook ad and she clicked on it. And it was like 20 bucks. And it worked. And it worked.
Starting point is 00:05:49 What's it called again? Magnetic windshield blanket. Okay. I don't know if there's an exact brand. I'm sure on Amazon if you just search it, but it shouldn't be like she bought one that was like 1899 or something. So it's not something that's crazy expensive. Again, as it gets cold too,
Starting point is 00:06:03 another trick is that you can take a Ziplog bag and fill it with hot water in your kitchen, zip it up and then take it and drag it down your windshield. And I did it. And it really does wonderful and it's not water so there's no risk of cracking it. And it kind of defrost the windshield pretty
Starting point is 00:06:19 quickly. The heat from the bag? Yeah, pretty cool. Yeah. All right, that's what the haps? Hey! What's the hats? Lunchbox, what's the haps? Well, a few weeks ago, Amy suggested the show Succession. She's talking about how awesome it is. She watches it. so good. So the wife and I sat down. The show is phenomenal. Oh my goodness. So good. We watched three episodes and I am just, I can't wait to get back to it. Succession is so good.
Starting point is 00:06:45 That's the one I haven't, that and billions I haven't jumped into it. So many friends are good. Billions is really good. So many people. Rodney Clausen came to do a bobby cast. It was all about Succession. He's like, I just haven't got into it yet. There's too many shows. I don't feel like I have to get in every big show though. Now there are so many. I can't keep up. So I just kind of watch what's down my lane. Well, keep succession in your back pocket. And then there's also that Farmer Joe show you liked. Huh?
Starting point is 00:07:09 The Outlook or? Farmer Joe in Wyoming. Oh, Yellowstone. There you go. Same show. No, that's a ranch. Hey. What's the ass?
Starting point is 00:07:17 Oh, my God. Eddie. You see me limp in today. I had an accident yesterday. I never do this, but I stubbed my toe really, really bad. And I've lost my nail. Oh. But half of it's still there.
Starting point is 00:07:30 So I'm just covering it. I don't know how to handle this. if anyone has any ideas, but I ain't ripping that thing off. I don't even like to hear about this. I'm going to end this because I can't take it. Yeah, I'm not feeling very good about it. That stinks, though. Yeah, dude, it's not a good thing.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Sorry about that, but I can't hear about it. Yeah, no problem. I get it. All right. That's what's the haves. Hey, what's the haps? Here's the Bobby Bones show podcast, highlight segment of the day. The average household will purchase this grocery item once every 53 days.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Let's take a few calls here. Christie and Round Rock, what do you think it is? 53 days. Talk to me here. Hello? Sorry, I am literally dropping off baby at daycare. I guess dish soap. Oh, no, dish soap. Incorrect. Oh, thank you.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Oh, boo. Get back to that baby, though. Thank you. All right, bye, bye, bye, bye. Let's go to Lakin and Massachusetts every 53 days. What do they buy? Bleach.
Starting point is 00:08:29 That seems like a lot, huh? For bleach? Yeah. Don't you get that like three times a year? Yeah. Maybe. Yeah, yeah, right? Maybe less than that?
Starting point is 00:08:35 It is not bleach. Amy? Back to me? Yeah, take another shot. Well, first time I said peanut butter. If that wasn't right, I'm going to go with butter. No, just butter. Just butter.
Starting point is 00:08:45 If I gave you one more, would you go with peanuts to cover all the spectrum? No, you're not. No. Lunchbox? Shampoo. No, that's a lie. Bunch of 503s for shampoo. I mean, like, two hundred times a year?
Starting point is 00:08:58 I guess I'm grocery. I think food, but. Eddie. Laundry detergent. No. The answer is? PICKles The average household purchase the grocery
Starting point is 00:09:08 Out of once every three days. Pickles. Never pretty good. What had never got that? That's why you're never going to get it. So last night, and you can go to my Instagram and see pictures of, from my holiday party. We had to do it early because we and I'm just not here a lot
Starting point is 00:09:28 after Thanksgiving. So we got, and we have a new executive producer, and so we were able to get everybody together from the show. And we had to get together at a lot. A lot of food. I had too much food. Food was amazing. Too much food.
Starting point is 00:09:41 I mean, I was just stuck with it last night when it was over. I wanted everybody to take a bunch of... But it's all... It was all so good and good for you. Yeah, but I mean, you guys should have taken more home. I should have taken some of those sweet potato slider thingies, but I was too scared I was too scared. I was going to drop them again, so I'm not taking anything.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Okay, you go for your thoughts. I thought it was amazing. I thought it was perfect. We, like, everybody mingled and had cocktails before and just kind of hung out, tried to move around. I loved being able to catch up. I got to catch up with Eddie's wife a lot and talk. about their foster kids and what's going on with them.
Starting point is 00:10:10 And that was nice to see her and lunchbox's wife. And it was just fun to have everybody there in the same room. And then dinner, awesome. I thought the way you had it set up. And then I didn't know where we were going to eat. Like, I thought we were maybe gather on the table. I was like, how are we going to squeeze everybody? But you've had everybody get the food at the dining room table and then go just circle around
Starting point is 00:10:29 in the living room. And I thought that was fun. That was fun. So we just got to like plop down wherever. I just didn't have enough room. But it made it comfortable. and casual and just yeah, I mean, I thought it was
Starting point is 00:10:41 great. And then the music, Travis Denning, was so good, and that was fun. I mean, you had a good pace going. Like it wasn't, didn't feel too rushed, because I worry about that with you. Like, I'm pushing it along too fast. Yes. Yeah. Next event. I do think Travis was
Starting point is 00:10:56 picking up his guitar to play another song and you were like, Travis Denning, everybody. Well, one, I did that and then he played another song too. At one point, I was like, there he was there, Travis Denning. And then he was like, well, for my next song I'm going to do here. I was like, all right, all right, we do one more. We do one more.
Starting point is 00:11:11 But, yeah, yeah. So, yeah, I thought that you executed your time management well or whatever you want to call it. And then, yeah, pretty much after that, everyone had a little bit of dessert and swiftly went out the door. Well, it started. You disappeared to your room. Yeah, you did. Where did you go? It started at six.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Lauren Elena called me and was like, I'm having a little trouble right now. Oh, yeah, that's right. Okay, okay. Didn't know that. Yeah. And I was like, well, she just in that finale. Alex, we could dance with a star. She's like, can you talk right now?
Starting point is 00:11:38 And I was like, okay, I know all of you guys. I don't have to be like, here's a shoulder massage on your way home. And she was like, hey, I'm struggling for a second. So I just went in the room and talked to her for 15 minutes. I came out to very, very in, though. I caught some of the guys on the way out. But when her friends, like, hey, I need to talk to you, totally.
Starting point is 00:11:53 You guys are all, you can handle yourselves. Yeah. So it was 6 o'clock was the start. Everybody was pretty right on time. Amy was the latest. I was trying to teach you what casually late is. You were the latest. Lesson learned.
Starting point is 00:12:08 No. No lesson's been learned. Okay. Just wondering. I, I, I, I, Some people got there right at six and I was like, Shwing.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Yeah. Oh, come on. It's awesome. No, you really love it if they got there at 540 miles. Right on time. That's awesome. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Yeah. So we, you know, it's six o'clock. I got way too, there's way too much food, way too much alcohol. But I guess that's just what you do when you have a party.
Starting point is 00:12:28 Yes. Yes. That's great. Better to have too much than too little. And yeah. So what are your thoughts? share your thoughts? The dog has never seen so many people at once in his life.
Starting point is 00:12:40 And it was just like, just too much. He was bouncing around like crazy. So he was out for like 10 seconds. I put him back in his room. So the dog was good. Travis was good. It was time for everybody to go. It was 8.30.
Starting point is 00:12:54 And I was like, how do I get everybody out of here? Because it's also a Tuesday night. And so I went to Amy. I said, Amy, if you just announced you're leaving, everybody is going to go, follow you. And so Amy goes, all right, good night, everybody. Everybody. And she starts hugging everybody. And that was everybody's cue. And just like that. Everybody just Bo-B-B-Doo-Doo-Doo-Doo-do. It worked. And then, well, a couple people left first and they could, and there were some lingerers, like Eddie, who lingers everywhere. But they couldn't get out because again, I don't have a big, like, parking lot. And people were blocked in. And so I was like, oh, I can't get out. And I was like, oh, all you guys must have, you got to go and boom cars out. Yeah, we did a group picture, but Ramundo left early.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Oh, I think that. picture? Yeah, I had to beat traffic. I just wanted to make sure I was able to make it out. Be traffic. There's no traffic. Right in the middle of Travis getting playing. You see Ray just walk out the front door. You did the Houdini. I tried to do it as quiet as possible. I grabbed my chick. She'd already had a couple and her heels were so loud. I know, but of course, we all wanted to say bye to her because we don't get to always see her. So we're like hugging and I'm like, wait, they're leaving. And it was in a living room. It wasn't like we didn't see you guys walk out. It was a decision that needed to be made. I thought, do I make a scene and say bye to everybody? I just walk out. I went
Starting point is 00:14:00 with the walkout. I know, but you missed the picture. and I want to Photoshop him in. Just insert a little Raymondo? Yes. I bet Mike D could probably do a funny way and put it up there. But it was fun. I'm glad everybody came.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Well, we could do it. The question is, was it too early for Christmas music because I was playing Christmas music the second half of the party? And it's not even Thanksgiving yet. Yeah, no. It was, oh, yes, this song played
Starting point is 00:14:22 and it was amazing. In fact, Ray's girlfriend and I, we were jamming out, and Hillary, we were pumped this song came on. We're ready for it. You got us in the spirit. I'm here for Christmas now. And yeah, I thought everything is great.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I thought he did a great job, guys, don't you? Yeah. Yeah. You definitely got the ball rolling for Christmas music. Because I listened to it on the way home. Thank you for having us. So thanks, man. We had about 20 people there.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I was happy my house was big enough for everybody. Yeah. Because I was worried. I was like, can I fit 20 people? I don't have 20 chairs. I don't know. How do you have a party for food when you don't have a table big enough? Yeah, that's tricky.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Right. Like you did. You just had everybody casually hang out in your living room and, you know, sit on the the fireplace and sit on the floor and sit on the chair. Like it sat on the couch. Like it was welcoming. Like I liked that feel of it. It wasn't too formal.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Like we all got dressed up and it was fun, but it wasn't like stuffy or formal. Like I think it was good for us. I'm personally happy that we've added that into our yearly thing. Like last year was kind of the first one-ish. And then this year second and I hope like it's an annual thing. And I would encourage other people that work together. If they can get together like that, it's just something easy to try to do it. I think it's good for us.
Starting point is 00:15:29 You want chip in? Like, we got a mouse in your pocket? I'm glad we are doing it and yes, I helped pick out the menu. He's talking about financial. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what he said. You didn't hear about picking out menus. Well, other people, listen, you decided to have it and host it.
Starting point is 00:15:46 And I said thank you a couple of them, like 30 seconds ago, said, thank you so much for having us. And then said, I'm so glad we're doing it. And then I encouraged others to do it. I'm giving your hard time. I know, but I'll throw it out there. It doesn't have to be done where if you're hosting, you have to pay for everything. you could have people from your work come over and everybody potluck style. I did get white claw on text right before.
Starting point is 00:16:07 I got plenty of white claw, dude. Dude, I have so much white claw on my fridge right now. I'm about three miles where I live from you. I'm coming back over for them. You can have everything. I don't drink. What am I going to do with it? I'm just saying, yeah, your fridge was stock, dude, you don't need it like that.
Starting point is 00:16:21 How much white, how long will white claw stay good? Forever. You got six months. Then why would I give it away right now? Just let it sit there, huh? Hang on, do it. But I was just saying if it's in the way of your health food and all the other stuff you eat.
Starting point is 00:16:32 The health food. Ray, what did you think about it? I thought it was awesome. Honestly, I wish it was on a Friday night. Then I could have actually drank. Me and my chick would have done an Uber over there. We could have used the pool. I mean, there could have been a lot of other options.
Starting point is 00:16:44 Lunchbox did hit me before. I was like, should we bring swimming trunks and clothes? I want to know if the pool was heated if we were going swimming afterwards, but I was told no swimsuits. There was no swimming. Oh, gosh, no. I thought that'd been fun. Scoobie Steve is our new executive producer.
Starting point is 00:16:59 Hey, Ray, have him come over to the microphone. for a second because he came and it was kind of his first time to hang out with everybody. Yeah. He's been here with the show for a week and kind of been learning as it's going. Hey, Steve, how did you feel about last night? I thought it was great. The food was fantastic. You guys are a great group people to be around.
Starting point is 00:17:12 I had a great time. How do you feel about the whole group here? You've been here a week. If I were to say, what's up with Amy? What do you say, Scoop, Steve? Amy is a pleasure to be around. Okay, he's learning. I did sit and talk with them.
Starting point is 00:17:25 I'm learning what? He's learning us individually. Oh, okay. Yeah, I did sit with them and kind of talk about every person. we had one of those like here's this person here's their you know what they're good at and uh what about lunchbox lunchbox i think is a riot him and i have a great time we laugh a lot eddie eddie and i are on a father level so we get each other with kids and everything what's your deal you have a you have a baby i have a kid who's a year and a half correct yeah uh boy or girl he's a boy and how's the
Starting point is 00:17:49 move coming here it's very stressful but i think we got a good handle on it my wife is staying at home right now, so we're able to kind of work on those things where I can focus on the job. My son is in San Francisco, so I do miss the heck out of him. But other than that, everything's great. Your son is in San Francisco right now? He's with grandma right now. He's got a place? He's on his own.
Starting point is 00:18:09 He's getting an apartment. That's on his own. That's quick, man. So he's one and a half, is that what he said? Yeah. And then you're bringing him here like next week. Yeah, we're picking up for Thanksgiving. Yeah, just here you go.
Starting point is 00:18:19 Have fun. Do you just mail them? How does that work? How do you get a one and a half-year-old here from San Francisco? We're going to fly and go pick them up. We thought about FedEx, but that would be too difficult. And your wife, what did you think about last night? She thought it was great. My biggest concern with her is coming here, you know, ripping herself from her family and all that kind of stuff. But I told her everyone here is really cool. You can, you have a great time with them. And she's looking to kind of get involved in the group. And she said you guys are very pleasure. So it was fun.
Starting point is 00:18:43 She's hung out with those two nights in a row. Yeah, she liked you guys. Yeah. Charity event the night before and then last night at the house. Yeah, you guys are great. I really mean that you guys are a great group of people. And it's really cool to be here. And you guys are very welcoming. And I really appreciate everything. All right, give it a couple weeks. All right, there it is. All right, Steve. On Monday night, I think we were talking, and I said, so what do you think? Like, at the charity event.
Starting point is 00:19:01 And he was like, yeah, I mean, everything's just so amazing. I said, you just got here. It's just got to be weird for him, too, because we've been together for so long. All of them. The group, like Amy and I have been together for how long? Like 14-ish, almost. Yeah, years. 14 years.
Starting point is 00:19:18 And to hop in a group where everyone's been together, been friends for so long, because this show didn't come together because a bunch of radio people. We didn't have any idea how to do radio. We're just a bunch of friends. And then to come in. And so that's tough. It's tough. It's tough. Tough to move cities.
Starting point is 00:19:31 So we're rooting for you, Steve. Thank you. I appreciate it. All right. There he is. First time ever on the air, too. Look at it. There he is.
Starting point is 00:19:37 First time on the year. Mailed it. Starting point is 00:23:44 BetterH-E-L-P-O-C-L-com slash Bobby. Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. The Bobby Bones Show. Big three stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? Yeah, cottage cheese has been recalled over possible metal and plastic contamination. You'll see breakstones, cottage cheese on the label, take it back for a full refund. In other news in Indiana, that copped was on a viral video confronting two men in Nordstrom's
Starting point is 00:24:11 parking lot. And then he told them that he could do whatever he wants because he's a cop. he has been fired from the force. And finally in New York, they're now filing a lawsuit against Jewel, the e-cigarette maker for marketing to teens. This is now the third state to go after Jewel. I finally started Jack Ryan on Amazon. Oh, you like it?
Starting point is 00:24:31 Yeah, it's great. I only watch one episode. And Jim Halpert from the office has now put on a bunch of muscles and it's Jack Ryan. Yeah, he's totally believable too. At first you think he might not be and then you watch him in action,
Starting point is 00:24:43 and you're like, okay. If you have Amazon Prime, I'd recommend it. The first season's great, and I started the second one. And Eddie, I guess, your wife started watching it without you? Yeah. This first season or second? The first season. She's never seen any of them.
Starting point is 00:24:56 But isn't that called cheating? What do you mean? Netflix cheating or whatever they call it? If you have an agreement. Did you have an agreement? Well, it's an unspoken agreement. We watch every show together, dude. Every show.
Starting point is 00:25:06 And I saw that it was on one of the continue watching. I'm like, I haven't seen Jack Ryan yet. Oh, she didn't even bring it up. Four episodes in, dude. You just got hit with a kid. continue watching. I caught her. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:17 But it's good, huh? Yeah. Because she says a lot of really good things about it. Yeah, it's so good. It's really great. That's a hilarious way to find out. It's terrible. But I didn't, y'all need to have a discussion.
Starting point is 00:25:26 We do need to talk about it. She may not think she's not looking at it as cheating because y'all never talked about it. And I'm like, when do you have time to do this without me? Well, I'm at work. We had a really heated conversation about it. Heeded. So wait. A little bit.
Starting point is 00:25:37 You're at work and she's at home watching the kids, but watching Jack around. She'll drop off the kids and then watch it with a baby or whatever. the baby like it? I haven't asked the baby. Very interesting though. Amy, what did you start watching? The morning show. Oh, the Apple TV plus.
Starting point is 00:25:54 So good. Is that free? If you have, we're doing the seven day Apple Plus trial. And these seven day trials are getting me. Amy's on every service accidentally. Everything that lately that I've signed up for because we got rid of cable. And so we're kind of doing the whole, okay, which service do we need? And it's still even right now is cheaper than what we were paying for.
Starting point is 00:26:14 cable. But it's so good. And I'm only one episode in, but I cannot wait. Like when I was getting ready for work this morning, I wanted to put it on. I didn't. But because I want to actually focus on this one. I don't just want it playing in the background. That good, huh?
Starting point is 00:26:30 I think so. They're spending like 15 million an episode on that show. Jennifer Anderson. Yes, and Reese Withersone, my new bestie. Oh yeah, Amy met her at CMA. And by met her... I assaulted her. Yeah, she was like, oh! And then she just hugged her. Didn't know what to say. I started choking on my own throat and then I hugged her.
Starting point is 00:26:48 And she reached out since, talk about the... No, but I, she posted something on Instagram and I did that wave emoji like, hey, remember me? Oh, you're posting a comment there? Yeah. Anybody know how long Instagram's going to keep the likes off? No. It's not forever. It's just a test?
Starting point is 00:27:07 Yeah, they said it was just a test. Okay. I don't know. Amy and I were talking this morning. She's like, everybody's going to start valuing comments more now. Right. Oh, that's a good point. But I don't think that's the case. Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Now I'm like, only one person's commented. That's true. Isn't that a good picture? You know, I started feeding my dog those Himalayan dog chews because I've reached Weatherspoons Instagram and loves them. I'll recommend them one more time. They're hard, but these Himalayan dog chews and loves it. By the way, I'm being told that some people think that they're taking away that likes to make money. So, well, what, you can pay to have your likes shown is an option.
Starting point is 00:27:50 Who's going to do that? Some people that think likes are important. I don't know that that's the case, but some people think they're taking away likes to make money on Instagram that they miss from people getting paid posts. Is the theory that someone has out there? I don't know about that, but I like it without the likes. I just got an email from Facebook saying I could now monetize on Facebook and I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:28:11 I mean, I deleted it, but I didn't know what that meant. I got that email too, though. Yeah, what is it? What does it mean? I don't know. I'm not on Facebook. Okay. I'm just saying I got the email. I deleted it because I was too scared. If I click on this, I don't know what's going to happen. Well, those are shows we're watching. Lunchbox mentioned billions earlier.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Not billions, but succession earlier. Yeah, both good. Melissa in Arizona is on the phone. Melissa, what's happening? Hi, nothing much. It's driving to work. How's your morning? I wanted to know if you were going to do the six. 60 second showdown. Yeah, we can play one with you.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Do you guys want to root from Melissa here? Yeah. All right, here she is. Melissa from Arizona, everybody. All right. Melissa, how's your morning going? Woo! It's going really good.
Starting point is 00:28:53 We got some cloud coverage over here in Arizona, so hoping for some rain. Oh, yeah. Okay. Interesting. What's the wind show? What's the bar bar bar of the picture? Okay, here's what we're going to do.
Starting point is 00:29:03 I'll give you 10 questions. There's only one category left, Melissa, and it's history. Oh, I was hoping for that friend's one. huge friends fan. Yeah, we did that one. For history, yeah. What do you do for a living? I work in payroll.
Starting point is 00:29:20 So I make sure everyone gets paid. And how do you feel about famous moments in history? Do you like them or not? I'm okay with them. Yeah, she likes history. She likes famous moments. Yeah, good. Good, good, good. Okay. You have 10. 10 questions. If you get all 10 of them right in 60 seconds, you win $100 of my money. Are you ready to go, Melissa? I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:29:42 Pass if you don't know it, okay? Okay. Here we go. Question number one. The timer starts when I'm done with the first question. What's the title of the famous Martin Luther King Jr. speech? The Nina Pinta and Santa Maria were names of what explorer ships? Pass.
Starting point is 00:30:03 What is Alexander Graham Bell's most famous invention? The telephone. Correct. Who drafted the Declaration of Independence? Who was the second president of the United States? John Adam. Correct. The Mayan civilization was located in which modern day country?
Starting point is 00:30:27 Who invented the light bulb? How many original colonies were there? Correct. Who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean? Amelia Earhart. Correct. In which country were the modern Olympics first held? Back to it, Martin Luther King's famous speech was called?
Starting point is 00:30:55 You did okay. You got one, two, two. Four. You got four right at a ten. Martin Luther King's speech was called... I had a dream. I have a dream. I have a dream. I have a dream.
Starting point is 00:31:13 I had a dream last night. I had a dream that we could all get along. That Nina Pinta and Santa Maria were names of whose ships. Guys? Christopher Columbus. Did you know that one? Yes, now that he says it. Oh, you wouldn't have got it.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Christopher, I was thinking he was probably some other explorer. Alexander Graham Bell, was the telephone. She got that one. Who drafted the Declaration of Independence, Amy? Thomas Jefferson. Right, good. She got second president, John Adams. The Mayan civilization was in what country? Somewhere in South America? Answer. Mexico. I'm sorry. Oh. Oh, that's North America. The light bulb was Thomas Edison. There were 13 original American colonies. She got Amelia Earhart, right? First one went to fly solo across the Atlantic. In which country were the modern Olympics held for the first time? Greece?
Starting point is 00:32:05 Mm-hmm. Greece? Mm-hmm. Greece. Okay. You did not win, Melissa. I'm very sorry. No.
Starting point is 00:32:12 It's okay. Can you a shout-out? Yeah, go ahead. Your consolation prize is a shout-out. Go ahead. I wanted to say hi to my husband, Reggie, and my mom, who's probably listening right now. Okay. Well, there you go.
Starting point is 00:32:26 There she is. Appreciate that call. Thank you. Appreciate you. See you later. Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 second skinny. Congratulations to Jordan Davis. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. So there was this journalist sitting at KFC, Kentucky Fried Chicken watching. There's this couple eating their dinner. And the guy pulls out a ring, gets down on one knee, and proposes to his girl. The journalist thought it was so funny.
Starting point is 00:33:19 She tweeted a picture and was like, oh, my gosh, guys are so broke nowadays. What low class gets engaged at KFC? I saw this. I couldn't believe that they wrote that. Oh, yeah. That's horrible. And so everybody felt so bad for this couple. that over 200 services and venues and like cake decorators,
Starting point is 00:33:38 they all volunteered to donate everything for the wedding for free. Wow. So they're going to get a free wedding, free everything, all because this person was rude. If I were them, I'd hope KFC would hook it off with the catering. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's a great ending to that story. I did see it though too, and I was like, man, that stinks. I bet you, this report learned a pretty solid lesson, though.
Starting point is 00:33:59 We should even hate on them. We've all made dumb decisions, said stupid things. They just happened to do it publicly. I bet they learned... That's a big bill to swallow. Big tough swallow bill. But I think we all learned a little something there. And good for everybody for stepping up to
Starting point is 00:34:13 and kind of making a statement toward online bullying. You know? Yeah. More something just about the wedding. It's more of a statement toward that. Anyway, that's a good story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.

So he goes to the bathroom, take some paper towels, and lights him on fire, setting off the whole sprinkler system, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. Oh, with like flooding. Yes. And the only problem is they saw on the
Starting point is 00:34:51 cameras, once they review it, they see him go in, and then the sprinkler start, and him walk out. Only person leaving the bathroom. You just think the smoke alarm. Starting point is 00:42:03 I'm in. I'm in. They're all thinking about it. Let's get a little music going here. Is it thinking music? Amy. Steve Urkel. Erkel.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Yeah, Eddie. Steve Erkel. Good, you all needed to get that one. Good, good, good, good. All right. Are you ready for the second one? A little bit harder. Ready.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Name this iconic sound. There you go. I think I'm in. Name that iconic sound. Let's play it one more time for the kids in the back. Everybody in? What is that from, Amy? I'm in for the wind.
Starting point is 00:42:57 Like, well, not the answer. What do you think that's from? Like, what does that remind you of? A movie? Yeah. What do you think it is? Paramount. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:43:05 I know it's a movie, but I put Touchstone. Eddie? 20th Century Fox. Oh. Well, one of you is right. Oh, boy, I mean. And it's a little Eddie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:17 He just wins. All he does is a man. And I hate one good games die that quickly. Eddie, great win. Thank you, dude. That's a good win. You'll play another round? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:31 Let's play that iconic sound. Here we go. Come on, guys. They're not that happy. They lost. Eddie, you've been winning so many games? Dude, sometimes all I do is win. I know, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:41 All right, here we go. Next up, name this iconic sound. Uh-huh. All right, we'll do it again. Uh-huh. Oh, I'm in for the win. One more time. All right, all right.
Starting point is 00:43:53 You all know this? Yeah. Yeah, that's 100%. You don't know that one? Wow, wow, wow. Wow. Oh. Can I hear one more time?
Starting point is 00:44:00 Yeah. Here's one more time. Woo-hoo! All right, I guess I'm in. I mean, I don't know. I'm shocked. I thought this would be right up his alley. Oh, shot fired.
Starting point is 00:44:13 I don't know what that means. You will when I say the answer. Amy? Winnie the Pooh. Wow, you just lost. Okay. Sorry, I guess that's not winning. It's not Winnie.
Starting point is 00:44:23 Eddie, you want to say your answer first? Lunchbox, what do you have? It's Pillsbury doughboy. Woo-hoo! Touch him in the belly. Oh, me. What is it? I have Mickey.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Wow. Wow. Wow. Lunchbox is the winner. Woo! That's why the shot was fired at him. He's saying you're fat. No, because he likes those.
Starting point is 00:44:41 What? Yeah. Is that what? He pokes him in the belly. Unbelievable. Yeah. And they stay there! And they stay there!
Starting point is 00:44:50 Is that really why he says that? He pokes you in the belly. That's messed up, dude. I was saying you like that kind of food. Again, he's saying you're fat. Interesting. No, you. One more round.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Here he is. Name that iconic sound. All right. What a jerk. What I was saying, Eddie. Name this one. Oh. Name that one right there.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Hit it again. I'm in. They're all going pin to paper right now. Hold on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm in for the win. Here it is again. Hey, feel about that, Amy?
Starting point is 00:45:24 Phil, 50-50. Go ahead. Law and Order. Lunchbox? That's Law and Order. Eddie? Weakest link. Wow, Eddie, you're out, dude.
Starting point is 00:45:33 That's a long order. Yeah, yeah. Thanks to my wife, she watches that all the time. Hey, peace in the Middle East. Thank you. Appreciate that. All right, here we go. Next one up.
Starting point is 00:45:46 What is that right there? Hit it again, please. Do you know what that's from? I have no idea. Play one more time. I mean, I'm in. I don't know which one it is, though. Amy?
Starting point is 00:46:11 Dixieland. Something. Lunchbox? State Farm. No. Nationwide. It's a Dukes of Azzard horn. It's General Lee's horn.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Isn't that Dixieland? You two are at sudden death now. Oh. So just buzz in with your name. Well, why are you cheering for Amy? He's the only one that hasn't won. And Eddie wants it all to be even going to the final round. All right.
Starting point is 00:46:35 Just buzz in your name with your answer as soon as you hear it if you know it. And go. Amy. 60 minutes. Correct. Okay, we're not a sudden, we're not to the final round because everybody's won one. And we write it down or ring in? No, no, we have three here.
Starting point is 00:47:00 We can do it. Oh, okay. So, okay, whoever wins this round, those are the champ of the day. Okay. Here we go. Write it down on this one. Whoa. Iconic sounds.
Starting point is 00:47:12 Can you name what that's from? Iconic sounds. One more time, please. There you go. I mean. Write down your answer. I don't know how you. I feel like, I feel like, I feel like how specific.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Do we have to be? Yeah, that's my... I'm gonna go not specific. All right. All right, I'm in for the way. Amy? Microsoft. No.
Starting point is 00:47:41 What? Lunchbox. Computer boot up. No. Eddie? Computer startup. Is it Windows? Apple.
Starting point is 00:47:47 It is? Oh, man. We all have apples and none of us got that. I was going to go specific, but I chose not. You all missed it. So now we're at sudden death. I thought that was... Buzz in with your name here, if you know it.
Starting point is 00:47:58 Ready? So this is a buzz in. Okay. Uh-huh. Iconic sounds. Buzz in if you know it. Here we go. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Lunchbox. What? I dream a genie. Woo! Correct. Play it again? Eddie. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:48:14 Bewitched. Correct. Eddie wins again. I had no clue. He doesn't win. That's been out of the day. Every other day. Da-ta-ta-ta-tall-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-da-da-da-a-da-a-da-a-da-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-old.
Starting point is 00:48:49 All right, Eddie, you're the champ. Thank you, Boone. What else is new. What a great day. He does win like every game now. Not really. A lot of them. His name's pretty much Mr. All I do is win.
Starting point is 00:48:59 Come on. Yeah. I mean, if you want that title, you got to come get it. Shit. You can send us notes, questions, comments. We have something we call the mailbag. Let's open it now. Bobby's Mailbag. Good morning studio. Good morning. Good morning. Thank you. My name is Carrie. I'm a long time listener this past weekend. My boyfriend and I moved in together,
Starting point is 00:49:20 which is a big step. We've been together a year and a half and it made sense financially to live together. He now wants to get a dog. And for me, it's all happening a little fast. I want a dog too, but I think we should wait at least a few months, right? Do we? we need to talk about beforehand who gets the dog if we break up? I'd appreciate any advice from Carrie. By the way, if you're worried about breaking up right now. And you're just not going in. Let me just pump the brakes on everything.
Starting point is 00:49:51 Yeah, let me stomp this real quick. Yeah, if I should have moved in together. Amy, what would you like to say to Carrie? Gosh, I've never shared an animal with anybody that, well, except for my husband. So we were already in a fully, fully committed a relationship. So I, gosh, trying to think of who gets the dog. But just like having to pre-think that. That's so hard.
Starting point is 00:50:13 Like I just wouldn't, I would slow down on everything like Bobby said. Like maybe you need to evaluate if you really should move in together. And then if you're not ready, don't get the dog. If you're not ready, don't get the dog. Because that's a good, I mean, if y'all do break up, yeah, that's hard. Stop with this if we break up. You shouldn't get a dog if you're even thinking that you might break up. And if you're like, no, I shouldn't be.
Starting point is 00:50:34 Just get a dog and figure it out later. Mm-hmm. Give a dog a good life. It sounds like financially, though, is the reason why they're making the move-in together? Like, it's not like... I said it made sense financially. Okay, it made sense. Financially.
Starting point is 00:50:46 Because, I mean, yeah, you would hope that the reason that you're going to make a step like that is... You love each other. You want to be together forever. Maybe they do, but they're going. We're wasting money. That's not saying they're broke. But they could be wasting money if one's always at the other's place and they have an empty apartment or empty house just sitting there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:02 I don't know. You've shared an animal with someone before. What did you do? No, I didn't. Uh-huh. I thought you got dusty with the girl. Oh, she picked it up for me after, no, never. Oh, I thought she was like 36.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Are you out of your mind? Your face when she said that. You are bonkers right now. I am positive. I am positive. I am positive. I am positive. None.
Starting point is 00:51:21 Okay. She went and picked the dog up in the shelter and brought it to me and that was it. Okay. She took care of it some. I just honestly, I didn't know you then. Obviously I knew you shortly after, but I didn't know you right when you got the dog. so I literally thought y'all got that together and then you got the dog in the breakup.
Starting point is 00:51:41 No chance. No chance. I never got anything with anybody else. If I were to be quizzed that, how did Bobby get his dog dusty? I would say in a breakup. You lost six second showdown? Yeah. Here it is.
Starting point is 00:51:50 Just go with the dog. Go get the dog and put it in your name. Adopt it in your name. That way if there's an issue, it's your dog. The end. But what if he wants the dog? Then he should adopt it in his name. Okay.
Starting point is 00:52:01 If she wants the dog, just go get the dog a good life. First of all. The end, get the dog, good life. You want a dog, get a dog. and then deal with it later if you do break up, it'll be fine. You know, I've seen people co-parent a dog. Always one gets it who loves it more anyway. Just get the dog.
Starting point is 00:52:15 My advice is get the dog. Your advice is wait, a little bit longer. I would say wait. Like, wait on all of it. Pump the brakes. Just even if it financially makes sense, maybe you're not ready to take that step. I say get the dog. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:52:26 That's the mailbag. Raymond, close that up right there. Thank you. And that was Bobby's Mailbag. Hey, by the way, let me bring this up. Your dad went to Men's Warehouse. Yeah. What happened there?
Starting point is 00:52:37 Well, his assistant living home took the men at the, you know, community where they live on a field trip to men's warehouse just like so they could feel normal and go shopping. Like that was their outing for the day. And I didn't even know he was going to do it, but he accidentally like pocket dialed us. That's what your husband said. That's how I know. Amy's husband told me that Amy's dad butt dialed him from men's warehouse. Yeah. And we were like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 00:52:59 He's like, I'm in men's warehouse like for an outing. And I just was like, gosh, I love where he lives. Like it's so cool because if he was, it's just. just, I love that they think of that and that maybe these men want to, if they've got an event coming up, they need to make sure they have the right clothing. And my dad, one of his grand, his first grandchild to get married is getting married this weekend. And so we're going the wedding and he wanted a new sports go. So he got to go get it when he went on his little field trip. That's good. And that makes him feel good. Yeah. You know? So I like that. So I love it.
Starting point is 00:53:30 Here's Amy's pile of stories. So Marie Kondo, she put out some advice for tidying up with kids. And I found these tips to be super helpful as a mom. And she's got a new book coming out called Kiki and Jax. And it helps with ways to get your kids to clean up around the house. So I'll give you some tips. Okay. Marie Kondo had that show on Netflix, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:50 And she teaches how to like organize and you take items out of your closet and you hold up your chest. And if the item doesn't bring you joy or doesn't spark joy, then you donate it. Okay. So what does she say about kids? Okay. So first of all, we need to be setting an example. As parents, like if you expect your kids to be clean, you better be tidying up yourself. That's fair.
Starting point is 00:54:08 I feel about I happy with you guys when it come showing up on time. Yeah. Yep. And putting in the work. If I don't do it, you guys won't do it. Mm-hmm. But I do it. So we have to do it.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Yeah, yeah. Okay, that's a fair one. Go ahead. Now, make sure they know that everything has a home, like a designated place. Like, if kids are confused about where stuff is supposed to go, then how do they know what it means to pick up? So try to have spaces for each thing. And then also you can make tidying up playful, like make it a game or start, like race them or do something. Like, in my house, it really helps if we set a timer.
Starting point is 00:54:36 Like, I do 10-minute PUs. which is what we call a 10 minute pickup. And I set the timer in the kitchen for 10 minutes or Stevenson will tell Alexa, 10 minute timer. And we've got 10 minutes to do as much as we can. And it's so much fun to see how much we can get done. And we all race around and do stuff and it feels so good. That's interesting because you know it's no more than 10 minutes.
Starting point is 00:54:56 Right. And so they know there's an insight. And they also, for whatever reason, it gets them to do more because they feel like it's a competition. Like, how much can we get done in 10 minutes? I'm also being tricked right now because I'm like, get so much done in 10 minutes. You should invite me over next time you do that.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Yes, I'll invite anybody over. But it's like working out. Anybody, you can do anything for 60 seconds, right? And you're like, only six seconds. I can get it all done. That's interesting. I like that 10 minute P.U. And you give it a fun name.
Starting point is 00:55:19 Yeah. I wish I could clean up around your house. Come over. Come over every day for the 10 minute P.U. All right. What else? Okay, so doctors are warning that eyelash extensions are like helping lice spread.
Starting point is 00:55:30 And I was like, oh, what? So, are they going from hair to eyelash? Because your hair hangs over? Listen, I didn't even know eyelash. or a thing, but they are. And it's because people are getting their extensions and they feel like they want to like make them last longer so they're not washing them.
Starting point is 00:55:45 And then they're just... You have to wash eyelash extensions? Yeah, when you wash your face, but you can wash around your face to where you don't get your eyelashes wet. But here's a thing. And I know more and more women are getting lash extensions. Like it used to be sort of weird
Starting point is 00:55:58 and now I would say it's getting more normal. And washing them helps them actually last longer because you don't have oil stuck in there. and then also, you don't have bugs living in there because I had no idea lice could live in your lashes but they can't you buy extensions from like the store? You can, yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:16 You just put them on like. But those you put on like with glue for like a night and you peel them right off like lash extensions stay on for weeks at a time. Okay, I would say most of our listeners probably don't do extensions but they probably buy the ones where they put them on their eyeballs
Starting point is 00:56:29 but can't you leave those on if you want to? You could. That's what I would recommend you not. I'd be lice infested because I would be like I'd just spend money on these and taking these off. No, that's, cares me now. I mean, just
Starting point is 00:56:39 let's all wash our faces and our lashes and all the things. And then lastly, James Halzer, do that? The Jeopardy guy, yeah, yeah, yeah. He is going to face Ken Jennings in like an epic battle on Jeopardy. Is that only if they make it to that, though? I know it's like a tournament.
Starting point is 00:56:55 There's three of them, three biggest winners of all time. Aren't they playing to get there? Like a million dollar tournament, right? Oh, and Brad Butler's in it too. It says it's a faceoff in a special Jeopardy tournament to determine the best of all time and the winner gets a million dollars and it starts on January 7th. Okay, so I read tournament.
Starting point is 00:57:09 I don't know if it's any more than those or if it's just those three playing in one match. Do you know the answer to that? I think it's just the three. It's one match. They're calling that a tournament, just one match? Wow. Yeah, so you know how there's three little stands.
Starting point is 00:57:21 Like those are the ones that are up there. I do know the three little stands, but it's like, it consists of two back-to-back games. Okay, so more games. So it's not one, just one game. Right, and the winner with the most combined money wins the match. Wow. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Do you know their records? Yeah. Their record winnings? Go ahead. Okay, so Brad, Rudder, or whatever. That's the one I don't know who that is. Yeah. I know who James, the last guy.
Starting point is 00:57:43 And then I know Ken Jennings wants for back in the day. Well, Rudder has $4.7 million in Jeopardy winnings. And Jennings has $3.5 million. And then James Halser or whatever has $2.7 million. The guy I've never heard of has the most. Yeah, he has the most money. However, Jennings holds the record for most consecutive games won, which is 74 consecutive. I guess that's why I know him.
Starting point is 00:58:05 He's won more than the others. Right. That's crazy. I really think you need to get on Jeopardy one day. I won't compare to those guys. I'm good at trivia, but not like that. They've dedicated their life to that. Well?
Starting point is 00:58:15 I listen to an interview with this James Howitzer guy and how he trains to be on Jeopardy. It's pretty fantastic. Trains, huh? But yeah, he just learns. And, you know, when I was doing Quiz Bowl, I was also learning for the sake of trying to learn as much as possible across a wide spectrum.
Starting point is 00:58:29 But, you know, they've been training. I wouldn't compete. I wouldn't compare. I did meet the people from Jeopardy, though, when I was doing some of American Idol stuff. and they're like, you should come and, like, watch the show. Or you can try out for it. And I was like, I ain't trying now.
Starting point is 00:58:39 I'm embarrassed myself. I really, I don't, I think you're underestimating yourself. Possibly, probably not, though. Really, smart people get on that show. I'm pretty good for general person. Wow, I must, if you're not thinking you're smart enough for that, I must, like, you're one of the smartest people that I know. So that's weird.
Starting point is 00:58:55 Need to meet smarter people. That's what I just was thinking in my head, like, clearly I don't know. You got to meet me, that's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news With Bobby Tell me something good Was a typical morning run in Smithville, Virginia
Starting point is 00:59:15 A soldier witnesses a small boat cap size And then here's yelling and screaming He looks around trying to pinpoint the sound He takes off into a sprint to the edge of the bridge And then is like, you know what, I'm going in I'm going to go find what's up And jumps into the water He swims 75 meters when he comes across a man
Starting point is 00:59:34 struggling to stay afloat, gripping onto the side of the boat. Like all this happens so fast, there's not a lot of thought, it's just reaction, right? So he successfully turns the boat upright, but he couldn't get the water out. And so he decides, all right, I got to do my deal. I have to save this guy.
Starting point is 00:59:53 The guy's 82 years old, by the way, that's holding onto the boat. So he attempted to swim back to the same location he dove in, and then he realized he was swimming against the current. Throughout the whole process, he's got the guy, the older guy, and he's holding him in his arm. And it takes about five minutes from him to slowly swim in against the current.
Starting point is 01:00:10 And he gets him back to the dock. Shortly after the police and ambulance were waiting there, both men were safe. And he said, and you know he'd say something like this. He goes, I think anyone would have done that if they're in my situation. I got news for you. I don't think that would have. He said he's just happy to help. Because of his actions, the Smithville Police Department awards him with the city's
Starting point is 01:00:30 Life Saving Award. The Life Saving Award is issued to anyone whose actions saved the life of a fellow citizen in an emergency. Isn't that awesome? U.S. Army Major Timothy Decker. Shout out to you. That is heroic. You risk your own life for sure to save him and that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 01:04:35 This is the Bobby Bones. We'll give you an update to the big holiday party that we had last night coming up in the next 10 minutes. But now over to Amy with the morning corny. The morning corny. What does Austin Powers like on his turkey? What does Austin Powers like on his turkey? Gravy, baby. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:09 I think that's a great. Decent impression. Eddie, how'd you do, how'd you do, Gravy, baby? Gravy, baby, yeah. This is the clip of the band Runaway June and their song, Buy My Own drinks.
Starting point is 01:05:27 It was a big hit for them. And the lead singer, Naomi, stopped by my house last night. And this is up as a podcast in my interview show called The Bobbycast. And such an interesting story. She lived on a bus as a kid for years, and they lived in State Parks.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Yeah. Yeah. I remember when they came in and she was talking about that, but I would like to know more about it. Well, you're in luck because there's a whole hour of conversation. But here's a clip of that. So we lived in national parks and we explored and we played outside. We did schooling like a few hours in the day.
Starting point is 01:05:59 And then we like just, we were just out. We just played in the woods. It's true. There were 11 of them. Wow. 11 kids. And so her mom was a midwife for a while. And then they sold everything, bought a bus.
Starting point is 01:06:16 They were living with Amish people. And so they weren't Amish, but when you live in a community of the Amish, you kind of develop those sensibilities. They had a car and stuff, or the Amish didn't. But then they were like, all right, we're done. They bought a bus for years, just drove around, lived in the bus, 11 of them. Wow. And she learned to play music because her mom was selling tie-dye at festival.
Starting point is 01:06:35 She learned how to make tie-dye stuff, and she would just be around music, and she got a guitar and would just play it, like, sitting around all the other musicians. Oh, that's so cool. It's so crazy. she got a job as a deckhand on a salmon boat in Alaska. She's like Forrest Gump. Yes. Here's that clip.
Starting point is 01:06:49 And I got a job offer to be a deckhand on a salmon boat in Alaska. What does a deck hand do, by the way? I mean, I've been on fishing boat. Everything. Oh my gosh. A deck hand just does it all. You clean the nets. You're fishing. You're driving the boat.
Starting point is 01:07:04 I had no idea what I was getting into. This was like the gnarliest, hardest thing I've ever done in my life. So I encourage everybody to check this Bobby Cast out. Just wherever you listen to your podcasts, IHartRadio, whatever streaming service you use, search for Bobbycast, and it's Naomi, the lead singer from Runaway June. And I know her a bit,
Starting point is 01:07:27 but being able to sit down with someone for an hour and really just prod into their personal life with purpose, like they know it's coming, is a bit different. And actually pretty cool for me. I've actually learned a lot more about my friends in that way, or the people that were kind of surface friends
Starting point is 01:07:41 through doing that. And some of her people came with her, like somebody from the label. And they were sitting upstairs because my studios in my house upstairs. And they left and she was like, I didn't know half that stuff either. And so. Oh, wow. Yeah. And then Naomi texted me last that afterward.
Starting point is 01:07:55 And she was like, man, I've never talked about a lot of that stuff in that form. It's just a really good one. I'm proud of it. So I hope you guys, you know, today after the show, there's a lot of good ones. It's an hour-long interview show. But check it out with Naomi from Runaway June. It is the latest Bobbycast. And she brought some, she reminded me of you.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Oh, yeah. What were you drinking? She brought some weird drinks. She made out of like... Was it, kombucha? No. It was something that she made out of minerals and she's very earthy. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:08:21 There's like an earthy runaway June. There's like a hippie runaway June. And then there's like a sporty. It's like the country musician spice girls. Mm-hmm. In one... Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:32 So check that out. Check that out. Well, I think it's now time to award Morgan number two with her championship belt. Oh, she won? She did win. I pushed her to the limit. Wow. But she ended up winning it last night.
Starting point is 01:08:47 You deserve every bit of it. I have your belt here. We've been doing this draft on our show for a while now. And the first with 10 wins was Morgan number two. And I bought this belt. And on the belt, Eddie, we on camera here? I got it. On the bell that says the Bobby Bone Show, it's a wrestling championship belt.
Starting point is 01:09:04 And it says fantasy draft champion. And nobody deserves it more than you, Morgan, number two. Yeah. Thank you. I'm going to. I pushed her close. I was pushing her all day yesterday. And then last night I was like 100 down.
Starting point is 01:09:16 I was like, I'm not going to catch you. I give up. You win. You're the champ. And now she's putting the belt on. Wow. Speed, speed, speed, speed, speed. Go ahead, Morgan, number two.
Starting point is 01:09:26 I just really want to say thank you to all the listeners out there that voted for me and kept cheering me on. And all the people that I got to meet outside of the studio who were saying they were voting for me and helping me through this drive. This is all for you guys. It's all for you guys. Now, how do you feel Morgan number two yesterday about being accused of being a Russian hacker? I'm not a Russian hacker I'm just really good at the draft games I'm terrible at trivia but I'm really good
Starting point is 01:09:50 at draft games. Some people on Instagram were saying that you were a Russian hacker I'm not. You were getting into these... By the way those people were me. I know. By the way. That was you. That was me. I was doing Instagram live. So do you care about the drafts now or still don't care about them? No, I care. I'm very
Starting point is 01:10:06 proud right now. Now that she's winning, she's She is. She is the chant, though. You can't take it away from the champ. Man. Well, Morgan, number two, We will not do another draft until after the first of the year. So there will be no more drafts until. Hiatus.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Thanks, Morgan number two. You know, I'm not sorry. I'm not. Yeah, don't be sorry. The Bobby Bon Show. Morgan number two is doing a mini photo shoot with her championship belt during that song. And Eddie's taking pictures of her. She's like, but don't know my belly button ring show.
Starting point is 01:10:36 And it's like, you got a belly button ring? Yep. And you've had it. Since I was 16, 16 years old. Oh, that's a long time. Yeah. So 10-year same ring? Yep.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Oh, no, I changed it out. I actually just put a new one in the other day. And so you don't like showing your belly button ring? Oh, I don't mind it. I just, like, I have kind of like a crop shirt on. And if I, like, lifted it up my whole, like, stomach and my belly button ring was going to show. Well, I do get a little self-conscious about my one nipple ring.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Mm, yeah. People are going to believe you. I know. I know. He does not have a little. I'm just planned. But my tongue ring, though. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:11 That's a good one. For sure. I never got anything pierced, though. And there would be the occasional guy at school That would get something pierced And I'd be like Hmm I don't know if that's for me
Starting point is 01:11:20 But are you cool to try it I never did I never did I got a couple tattoos I got three tattoos But later later in life Later yeah I'm still probably one or two away From being done
Starting point is 01:11:29 But you get anything pierced ever My ears That's it That's it Morgan number two Only the belly button ring in the ears Yeah belly button ring and ears Nothing else
Starting point is 01:11:37 How many ear piercings do you have I had two Like two little ones right here But I don't really ever wear earrings That much so Well, congratulations again on your belt. People are saying you need a winning song. I don't disagree with them.
Starting point is 01:11:48 Okay, I'll work on that. You do play enough games to where I think you need a winning song too to play. This may be the only other time we play it, though. That's true. Sometimes you come in third. But yeah, think about a winning song. Okay, I will. But congratulations to Morgan number two.
Starting point is 01:12:05 No more drafts until after the first of the year. But there was a fun. One more round of applause for Morgan number two. A big draft victory last night. Eddie, you want to talk about this, the citizen hero, this story about the guy? Yeah. I don't know much about this, but what I'm hearing is there's a guy in our, where we're from, that's patrolling the streets, like as a superhero. But is he, what is his deal?
Starting point is 01:12:27 I got to find out his name. It's like shadow something. But he's a local hero. He's just a guy. And he comes out at night because he says at night, that's when things get shady. And they need a person, not a superhero, just a regular person who dresses up like a superhero to keep everyone else safe. His name is Shadow Patriot. Shadow Patriot.
Starting point is 01:12:46 His motto is serve, protect, inform, and inspire. Shadow Patriot is a regular citizen that patrols the streets and promotes America, along with helping the homeless. At first glance, he would appear to be a real-life superhero, but doesn't call himself once since he doesn't have superpowers. To be fair, not they're Batman. Batman was just rich. True. Bruce Wayne.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Yeah. So, this is bad news. I'm glad I like what he's doing. That's awesome. So somebody's going to be a wise guy. and try to beat up Shadow Patriot. How old is Shadow Patriot? He doesn't seem like a young guy.
Starting point is 01:13:18 I would guess he's probably in his late 30s, early 40s. Okay, here's the clip. As the sun goes down, all those things take on a grayer tone and become sometimes bad, sometimes dangerous. There are problems, and that's where the Shadow Patriot comes in. I just, I like what he's doing. And Amy, he wears like a bicycle helmet with a star on it. No, I'm already like his sister.
Starting point is 01:13:46 It reminded me a little bit of your Halloween costume. Recycloth. He does look like Recyclops. And if he's out in the daytime, help people that's good. But somebody's going to beat the crap out in. Because he's not like super ripped up or anything. But what have you, bones, what have you were walking down to him? I would want to get a picture with him.
Starting point is 01:14:04 And you were getting mugged. And Shadow Patriot comes out and saves you. Would you change your mind? No, I already like him because he's out doing things in the daytime to help people. I'm into Shadow Patriot. For the record, I'm into Shadow Patriot. I just worry about him. Right, you're worried.
Starting point is 01:14:18 Because there's a wise guy who's going to go, well, who is this? Knucklehead and beat the crap out of him. You got a big old single mustache, sunglasses that look like bug eyes round like Ant Man or something and a bicycle helmet. And he's wearing a chest protector
Starting point is 01:14:33 that catcher wears with an American flag. That's pretty awesome. This is kind of what Stevenson does in our neighborhood. Yeah. Your son. He does. Your nine-year-old son. He likes to go around and keep the neighborhood safe in his Captain America uniform.
Starting point is 01:14:46 I like it that he's helping out. It's funny. He's made national news. And I hope everybody leaves him alone, just lets him do his thing. Right. That's him protect. Totally. Do we know what Shadow Patriots real job is day to day or we can't figure out who he is?
Starting point is 01:14:56 He's like Bruce Wayne, or he's like Clark Camp Batman. Right. And you don't want to know what his real life is. What if it's like Cole Swindell? We just can't tell. It's Luke Cone. Colindle puts on a mustache and walks around his Shadow Patriot. Anyway, Eddie told me the story.
Starting point is 01:15:11 I thought I'd share it. Yeah, it's good. I think Shadow Patriot is pretty funny. Just got to be careful. Starting point is 01:18:49 categories. How about this? All right. Album of the year. Bonnever. Bonnever, yeah. For his album, I. He's won a Grammy before. Yeah. Lana Del Rey.
Starting point is 01:19:04 Billy Elish. Arianna Grande. Her. Lil Nozek. Vampire Weekend and Lizzo are all up for album of the year. Okay, so that's a big one. Where's the country one? Okay, here we go. Best Country Song. Come on. Tanya Tucker with Brandy Carlisle, Bring My Flowers Now. Ashley McBride, girl going nowhere. Miranda Lambert, it'll all come out on the wash. Eric Church, some of it, and Dan and Shea speechless. There you go, Best Country Song. Okay. I don't
Starting point is 01:19:37 have an opinion yet. Just give it to Dan and Shea. They're the most underappreciated group. artist in country music. I agree. They're the most underappreciated. They're appreciated. But they have to like punch people on the face to get it. Oh, not literally. Maybe literally.
Starting point is 01:19:54 Amy and I saw Dan, we were doing a charity event. Again, I'll be honest. We like that. We know those guys. But that's why I also see how hard they're working, right? But Dan's hair is so long. We know Dan when he first, he's a short hair, just a good looking guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:07 Yeah. So long beard mustache. And I just see hair go behind a pole. And I'm like, oh. there's Dan. It's like this big thing of hair, Dan and Dan and Shay. And Amy went and smelled his hair. Well, no.
Starting point is 01:20:19 I didn't just know. We were hugging. And when we hugged, I got a whiff of his hair. And I was like, oh, my gosh, your hair. I don't know if I, it's not that I wasn't expecting it to smell good. But I was just decided to tell him. I was like, your hair smells so good. I need to know what his products are.
Starting point is 01:20:35 Because I want mine to smell that way. No country artist and best new artist. Usually there's one or two. Lizzo, Billy Island. Black Pumas, I never heard of them. Lil Nasax, Maggie Rogers, Yola, don't know who that is. Rosalia, don't know who that is. Tankin the Bangas, don't know who that is.
Starting point is 01:20:54 Are we sure these are real groups? They're messing with you right now. What was that category? Best New Artist. Okay. Like, how new? They just get together yesterday. What was that last one again?
Starting point is 01:21:04 Tankin the Bengas? What are you listening to? Ah, TMB. What's that? Tanking the Bangas. So good. You got the new Tangan Bagan song? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:21:11 They may be awesome. I'm sure they are. Obviously, they're nominated for a Grammy. Best country album, here we go. This has just come across two for the Grammys. Eric Church, Desperate Man, Reba McIntyre, Stronger Than the Truth. Pistol Annie's. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:21:24 You got one, interstate gospel. Good for them. Centerpoint Road from Thomas Wrett. And while I'm living, Tanya Tucker. So that's just some of the Grammys stuff that came out, just came across. Wanted to share it with you guys. And there you have it. Anything you'd like to say, Amy?
Starting point is 01:21:37 Man, I just, I'm excited for, I'm excited for a lot of people on that list. but, yeah, in particular, Dan and Shea. Like, even at the CMA Awards, like every award they were up for Bobby and I were, like, chanting their name. Yeah. Against them over other friends, too. Yeah, I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 01:21:52 And then when they did win, we were back, doing something backstage and I screamed so loud. People thought something was wrong with me. Well, by the way, the best country song is a songwriter's award. You know, the one that they're up for, yeah, for speechless.
Starting point is 01:22:04 Cool. Okay, well, there you go. Those are the Grammy nominations. If you want to go over to my Instagram and see a few pictures from the Christmas party, holiday party. I guess it's closer to Halloween than it is Christmas. But whatever, there's a Christmas tree.
Starting point is 01:22:17 Yes. There's a Christmas tree. And we played Christmas music. Yeah, we're getting in the spirit. Yeah. You can go to my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones. I do have some pictures for all you guys. I'll let you guys put up whatever you want,
Starting point is 01:22:26 but I had a photographer there last night. Yeah, I bet that. Who's fancy now? You? You? It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:22:38 So the rock, he sang, you're welcome for a three-year-old cancer. are patient and I've got a clip of the video. I heard that you love a movie called Moana and I also heard that you watch Moana almost 10 times a day because the character you love Maui gives you strength.
Starting point is 01:22:54 What can I say except you're welcome stay strong and thanks for inspiring everybody around you, Hiram, including myself. Isn't that simple? I saw the Rock's Instagram. Eddie, you know that song? I do. I saw you sing on. What can I say except you're welcome? Yeah. You know the rest of it?
Starting point is 01:23:10 I don't know. I don't know. Not really. Is that a good movie? It is good. I finally just saw it like about a month ago because my kids have been watching it forever. It's actually a really good movie. I like Hawaii and all that kind of culture. My kids like it too.
Starting point is 01:23:22 My daughter, so sure, she's 12. She doesn't say Hawaii. I think she saw some of it the other day because sometimes they'll just flip through movies. And she was like, came downstairs. Mom, when are we going to go to Hawaii? I was like, do you mean? Oh, it's a much of Hawaii in Ohio.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Do you mean Hawaii? She goes, yeah, yeah, whatever. Hawaii. When are we going to go to Dayton, Launalulu? Yeah. I saw that And the kids fighting cancer Loves the Rock
Starting point is 01:23:47 And The Rock Posted that on his Instagram So cool So yeah, that's awesome That is what it's all about Thank you very much That was tell me something good The Bobby Bones show
Starting point is 01:23:57 So what is this about the Dugger family Lunchbox? They were rated by Homeland Security Is that the deal? Do you know about this? No The Dugger family was rated by Homeland Security
Starting point is 01:24:09 Money laundering Human trafficking, Weapons smuggling and transnational gang activity. Let me see this. It's out of here. I could go to you on my page. Does anyone know about this story?
Starting point is 01:24:19 The Duggers? They are contradictory reports this morning about how the Dugger family is under investigation by Homeland Security. Agents reportedly raided the home of Jim Bob and Michelle Dugger. This is... Is that for real?
Starting point is 01:24:33 Is this a real story? That's crazy. A spokesperson from Washington, D.C. confirmed on Tuesday, quote, Homeland Security Investigations was present at the D. Dugger home pursuant to an ongoing federal criminal investigation. First the Dugger, first the, the, the, Chrisleys, now the Duggers. I thought this was the same family.
Starting point is 01:24:52 No, no, no, no. But the Duggers denied that their home was rated. They put out a statement saying, we were shocked to see in the news that there was reports that our house was rated, according to people.com. The Dugger family hardly seems like the gang activity type, but gangs don't just mean guns and bandanas, guys. I mean, that would be quite the cover. 19 kids.
Starting point is 01:25:12 They're not even related. They're all just little members of the game. I mean, that's crazy. They're the family that doesn't even kiss before they get up to the altar, right? And they have like 52 kids. Well, 19 and counting, but. That's the show, right? Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 01:25:28 That's just nuts. If we find out the dog, that would be like me. Like all of a sudden. Big old scandal. You find out I'm running the Crips. This is probably not going to happen. tonight I'll be doing the I Heart Radio premiere the album live album with Luke Combs
Starting point is 01:25:46 It's on live by live.com That's our streaming partner tonight You can watch Luke Combs perform a bunch of a songs live I'll be hosting it The actual address is livexlive.com And you can also go to our Twitter and find the link there So I'll be traveling again today I got a pretty heavy travel schedule the next five days
Starting point is 01:26:03 I do New York Because today's Wednesday, New York Wednesday Thursday Friday, Eddie and I are in Louisville playing Raging Idiot Show, Saturday in Birmingham, Raging Idiots. So come to those shows. If you're on Louisville or Birmingham, Raging Idiots.com. Sunday, I go to L.A., I'm doing, I think I can say I'm doing the game show to tell the truth.
Starting point is 01:26:22 I don't know what you can say. You've never said that before. I don't know if I can say it or not. They didn't tell me not to. Tell the truth. I want to do that. It's where they get people, they get like three people up and you have to figure out which one is like the real Octo model.
Starting point is 01:26:32 Oh, that's awesome. Or the real cop that was chasing OJ. And they do like celebrity panelists. They must be stretching if they need. need me as a celebrity. They're like, we're out of celebrities. Who can we call? So you're a panelist? I'm a, yeah. So I'm going to do that. Then I'm going to watch Dancing with the Stars finale and Rood on Lauren on Monday. And I'll be in LA Tuesday, but I'll come back and it's almost Thanksgiving. Yeah. Which is crazy. It's great. But I will be traveling a lot. And we traveled to Las Vegas together.
Starting point is 01:26:58 Morgan number two went with us. And apparently you learned some travel tips about me or travel tips from me. What exactly do you have over here? I just learned some things about. you that happen while you travel. Okay. Go, how many do you have? I have five. Okay, number one. Okay, um, you eat a whole pack of gum before a flight, at least 10 pieces of gum at a time.
Starting point is 01:27:22 That's not just before a flight. This is always. That's like life. Don't ever, if Bobby asks you for a stick of gum, don't give it to him. He's going to take your whole pack. I posted a picture of us from like the photo booth or the charity event earlier this week. And you, the charity event. We were at, the photo booth.
Starting point is 01:27:38 and we had little Santa hats on. And Bobby's wad of gum is like right there, right there in your mouth. And there's probably about Morgan's right. Ten pieces in there. More than that. I get a whole pack of whatever, eat the whole thing. Right. And not just flight, but in life.
Starting point is 01:27:51 Did I ever talk about this on the show? I don't think so. I ate all the gum at once. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And somebody just offers me a stick, sometimes they don't take it. Yeah. You're not enough.
Starting point is 01:27:59 Yeah, I'm like, not offended. It's like, it's not going to do anything for me. What else do you have, Morgan number two? You eat string cheese the wrong way. you bite out of it. You don't eat it like a normal person who like strings the cheese. Oh, I bite it.
Starting point is 01:28:15 Is that not normal? Well, all I know is I'm sitting at the airport and it's like 5 o'clock in the morning and I'm just eating my cheese, which is weird too is all I had for breakfast. And Morgan number two is like, hey psycho, why are you eating string cheese like that? I'm like, what do you mean?
Starting point is 01:28:29 She's like real, like the real people string it out. Oh. I wasn't the only one either. We all sat there and we're like, this isn't normal. Let me give you the root of that. I don't like to touch food with my hands. I've been in an airport. I don't like to touch anything.
Starting point is 01:28:42 And so I just keep it in the package and eat it with a bite. If you've got a string, you've got to touch it with your hands. Your hands touched all that airport crap. By the way, it's at Las Vegas airport. Those, were you with me, Morgan, too, when that guy you got off on my face? No. The TSA guy, this girl's hat was stuck in the machine after it scans your stuff. And it was stuck like at the end of the belt and where the wheels start to turn.
Starting point is 01:29:06 And so I'm reaching trying to get it because it's just like hung in there. And nobody's paying attention to her. And her hat's getting run over by bags. And I'm like, well, crap. Let me just try to reach with and grab it. I make one reach and almost get it. And he goes, get you're it. And just starts screaming at me.
Starting point is 01:29:19 And I was like, all right. I just got up the crap and walked off. Yeah, trying to do a good thing. Here I am. I'm trying to be an airport superhero. Bane at the airport trying to get me. What else Morgan number two? You're just as strict about timing on the road as you are here at work.
Starting point is 01:29:35 Go ahead. So we had a call time to leave in the morning, and Walker Burroughs was like, probably three or four minutes late, and you're like, I was 10 seconds from leaving you. I've left Eddie before. Yes. Like where the car's going. And he's like, stop, do, do, do you get rerun from what's happening. Hey, he's chasing the car. And you even would tell the driver, like, keep going.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Whoever's driving. Just keep going. They would stop. I can't do that. Eddie's right there. Yeah. Yeah, he's serious about it. The car leaves at this time.
Starting point is 01:30:01 If you're not there, you get left. You can get Uber. Good luck at the airport. You're not making all of us late. I did tell Walker, I'm like, hey man, I've been there before. It's all right, you'll get better. I was so, I was so irritated. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:11 Did you, oh, great, did you act irritated to him? Or Walker. I was silent. I was pretty sleepy. I think I just went to sleep in the car. What else? You wear sunglasses while you're at the airport. We showed up and your glasses were dark.
Starting point is 01:30:25 And I was like, why does Bobby have sunglasses on right now? But it was like daylight. I wear them in the car there and I wear them on the airplane, so I just leave them on. They're prescription glasses. So, yeah. No good reason there. I do, I do, though. I can't sleep on the airplane without sunglasses on.
Starting point is 01:30:42 But how do you feel about people that wear sunglasses inside? Eric Church. Oh, Eric Church, cool. That's what you're comparing me to? That's right. I'm down. Boom. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:51 I'm the Eric Church of the airport. That's right. No one told me I was Airport Eric Church until just now. That's my new nickname. It's a bad thing. Airport Eric Church. All right, any more, these are travel things Morgan number two's noticed. And the last thing is that you really like to just hang out and kind of let loose before shows.
Starting point is 01:31:06 and I think it's the most relaxed I ever see you is like right before shows and you're just kind of hanging out existing. What do you think about that? Yeah. I mean, there's no pressure. I don't think you feel pressure to perform and you do, you're pretty relaxed.
Starting point is 01:31:21 And I guess that's kind of the vibe that we want to carry out on the stage too, right? You're saying I'm not relaxed in here? No, it's just like, it's a different kind of you that I see, I guess. Like in that few moments before the show, you're just kind of hanging out. It's not like Work Bobby.
Starting point is 01:31:33 You kind of just, you're hanging out with any. Charing gum, eating string cheese from the top with sunglasses on. That's the whole, that's the whole vibe. All right, Morgan Everton. By the way, tonight, we've mentioned that I'll be in New York tonight for the Luke Combs. LivexLive.com. It's live by live. Watch them tonight.
Starting point is 01:31:48 IHeart Country with Luke Combs, presented by State Farm, celebrating the release of his new album. What you see is what you get tonight. 7 p.m. local time, wherever you are, local time. Or watch it livexlive.com slash Iheart Luke Combs. That's a lot. I'm not going to lie to you. That's a lot to remember. Livexlive.com.
Starting point is 01:32:06 heart Luke comes. All right, let me put Lainey on in Ohio first. She's going to kick this segment off for us. Hey, Lainey, how are you? I'm good. How are you? Real good. Tell me what happened with you and your boyfriend.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Well, we had been dating for a while, and I had caught him on Snapchat. We had a joint cell phone plan, you know, and I could see his text messages after that. And he was like, oh, I'm stopped. I love you. You're what I want. Well, it turns out he decided to take one of his old cell phones that were no longer active and take it into Verizon and get it activated so he could have a separate cell phone so that he could still communicate with all these other women.
Starting point is 01:32:45 So I found it in the glove box. Oh, you just found the phone, like the active phone. I thought he put it on your plan. I found the second. Yeah. No, no, no. We had one together that we had a phone. So he had two phones.
Starting point is 01:32:57 We had one that was together. And that was the one he'd leave around the house like he was Mr. Great. And then he had one in the glove box, you know, a separate one that he paid for that was prepaid, that was like, you know, I knew nothing about, and that's the one that he would communicate on these dating apps and stuff on. That stinks. And burner.
Starting point is 01:33:15 I know. What did it feel like when you found that phone and found it fully active? It was heartbreaking. It was heartbreaking, and I was shocked that, you know, someone could think of something like that and to go to that kind of level, you know, to be so deceitful. But, you know, what are you going to do, I guess?
Starting point is 01:33:35 But it was heartbreaking. I hope you just broke it off, Right? Was that it? No. That's a whole other segment. All are back together. No, we're still together. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 01:33:48 Well, you know, I'm not even going to walk down that river. Yeah. But maybe he's better now. Mm-mm. That's not a river I'm walking down, but... Go ahead. It's a river I don't want to walk down either. Okay, Lanny.
Starting point is 01:34:00 Well, I appreciate that call. Wow. And he's... I know. He's going to hear this and he'll be like, what, you told him on the radio? We appreciate that, Laine. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:34:09 I appreciate that. He deserves it. Does he listen? No, I don't think so. I don't think so. You also thought he didn't have another phone. What dating apps was he on? Snapchat.
Starting point is 01:34:27 Farmers only. He was on Farmers only? Farmers only? Tinder? Morgan, did we try Farmers only? No, no. Not touching that. Why not?
Starting point is 01:34:35 You don't want a farmer? I just don't, I don't do the web, Side Dane once. I only do the dating app. Oh, my friend has done Farmers Only.com. She desperately wants her boyfriend or future husband to drive a truck. And she just figured, oh, and I think she went on a date with them on Farmers Only and they had a car. And she's like, what? She was like, she likes, like, manly, like drive a truck, like has work gloves, like the whole thing that farmers would have.
Starting point is 01:35:06 And, like, this guy didn't have any of that. And she was like, you should not me on this app. Well, Lainty, appreciate your call. Thanks for sharing that story with us. Yep. Have a great day, guys. All right, bye-bye. Bye-bye.
Starting point is 01:35:17 Bad news for her. That's not good. It ain't going good. One of my friends, too, was on, like, a dating app or, I don't know. Right when it came out and swiping and she swiped and swiped up to, like, her friend's boyfriend or husband or something. Like, that she went to college. It's the nutty thing to me. You know guys who've done this too.
Starting point is 01:35:36 How are you going to put yourself public? Right. On a dating app. Because somebody's going to see it and know somebody who knows somebody. Here's the story. A woman reveals the moment she discovered a boyfriend was cheating on her. By the way, she met her boyfriend. They were working at a retail store.
Starting point is 01:35:50 They had a serious relationship. But one night, she decided to clean up his place while he was out with his friends. She found he'd set up a whole new Facebook account just to float with other women. This is what she said. Accidentally bumped the mouse on his computer. Which, by the way, probably ain't true either. Everybody ain't true either. And she just decided to clean up his place.
Starting point is 01:36:08 Facebook was open, but Dave had different. profile pictures. At first glance, she thought he looked cute, but then she realized his relationship status was set a single on a whole new profile account. Oh, wow. That's the story that I read that brought me to this segment here. Let's go to Sarah in Boston. Sarah, what's happening with you? How are you? How are you? Pretty good. Morning studio. Morning. Tell me your story. So I was out at the bar, and I had brought my ex-boyfriend and my current best friend of the time. And we were at the bar and I was getting a drink and I turned around and he was actually making out with my best friend, which I later found out that they had been dating the whole time. Oh, man. You lost two folks. You lost a boyfriend and her best friend?
Starting point is 01:36:56 I mean, she wasn't that great of a friend anyway, so not too much of a loss. I mean, clearly she was dating my best friend. I don't get it. That's, oh, all right. See, this is why I'm not in a relationship. I don't have to call a radio show and tell a crappy story. I know. Kayla in Oklahoma, thank you for calling the Bobby Bone show. I feel like we need a positive... No, no, no, not right now.
Starting point is 01:37:22 No, we're still rolling. There's more. Kayla and Oklahoma, how are you? Morning studio. Morning. Morning. Morning. Morning.
Starting point is 01:37:30 Morning. Morning. So my best friend and my boyfriend at the time, we were playing a game of Monopoly, and he was cheated during the game. the whole time and I didn't notice, like landing on my property, not telling me. And my best friend was kind of getting a laugh out of it. It was kind of the running joke at the time. Well, when he left for the night, my best friend told me, hey, he was cheating the whole time. And I was like, oh, no way.
Starting point is 01:37:57 And so I texted him and I said, I can't believe you cheated. And he said back, I guess I should tell you and start talking. And I played with it. Like I said, spilled means, and he had been cheating on me with his ex-girlfriend at the time. Oh. No. And she wasn't referring to that. I found out over a monopoly game. Wow.
Starting point is 01:38:24 That's bonkers. Oh, yeah. I've never heard of such a thing. That was good. So did you get back with him? They've been married, too. No. No, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:38:32 Don't do that. No. Wow. That's a great story. I'm sorry it had to happen to you. Yeah. But all of our jaws went. No, it's okay.
Starting point is 01:38:39 Yeah. How long ago was that? Yeah, I bet. It was several years ago. I'm now married with kids. Did you ever say to him, well, like after he gave you all the info, were you like, well, thanks for all of this, but I was straight up talking about monopoly. That's exactly what I said.
Starting point is 01:38:56 I said, well, it's good to know because I was just talking about the Monopoly game we just played. And he was like, idiot, idiot. So dumb. Yeah. Kayla, thank you for that call. Wow, wow, wow. Yeah, thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:39:10 Let's go to one more. Misty in Virginia. Misty, you're on the Bobbybone show. Good morning, Sue. Morning. So this way, I want to say maybe 10 years ago, I was married, obviously. I'm not married to him any longer. He convinced me to go out with one of my girlfriends because I hadn't left
Starting point is 01:39:33 to my child's side since he was born. So he was two, and I was like, okay, I'm going to do it. So I'm out shopping with my girlfriend in the mall, and he calls me. and just trying to check in to see how everything's going. And then, you know, we get off the phone. Well, he calls me right back. And he's like, hey, baby, what are you doing? I was like, oh, I'm the same exact thing I was just doing.
Starting point is 01:39:51 And he's like, well, who is this? I was like, what do you mean who is this? He was like, so I guess he looks at his phone. He was like, I thought he was calling my mother. So, for one. You knew something was fishy, huh? Yeah. So the phones are obviously there in my name.
Starting point is 01:40:07 So I go straight to Verizon and I pull the call logs. Well, he's military and find out that it's actually the babysitter who he was trying to call. Oh, my goodness. Yes. Well, he needed a babysitter? Wow, he's cheating with the babysitter.
Starting point is 01:40:25 Well, yeah, and I did confirm that it was the babysitter because I went and rented the car and I was going out and I waited. And, yep, there she pulled up. Got him. Wow. So I actually caught them in the axe. He got you with the hey baby
Starting point is 01:40:39 and you're like, I just talk to. Baby, yeah, yeah, yeah, but hey, baby, if you're sooner. I'm talking to the baby. Baby butt doll with you. Wow.
Starting point is 01:40:47 Right. Misty, appreciate that call. Thank you. Here's what I've learned from this segment. Guys still suck. I thought maybe they didn't suck. Guys still suck. That's like whenever I was in college
Starting point is 01:40:58 and my boyfriend left my house and he came over and was like hanging out with me and my mom and some other people. And then he left and my phone rang right when he leave. Like he was in the driveway. We could see his tail.
Starting point is 01:41:09 lights and he said is Lindsay there and I was like Lindsay who? And he was on his way to meet Lindsay when he left my house. But my mom still even said oh no mom she was like Amy that he literally in the driveway calling the other girl that he's about to go meet but I still was stayed with him. That's how I feel. I believed him. He gave me some excuse.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Did we have any update on the doggers that they got rated? I'm seeing all these different stories now. But, okay. Wow. I feel like we cover both sides of it. We read the story from the news and we were like, well, they're also saying it's not true. We're safe. We don't know, but it was in the news.

Starting point is 01:44:53 Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plant tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple,
Starting point is 01:45:15 nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. Bobby boom, come on. The first male birth control is almost ready,
Starting point is 01:45:42 and you get it via a syringe to your junk. Oh. Oh, no way. I mean, that sounds bad and all, but the way you set it up, I thought maybe you had to do. What, it could be worse in a needle in the wiener. There's nothing worse.
Starting point is 01:45:56 It's like a suppository or something. I'd rather have a better. You would rather do that. Then just take a little needle to the wiener? Yeah. Are you kidding me? It said, would men endure a shot to the wiener to prevent pregnancy? I mean, that...
Starting point is 01:46:12 Listen. They have completed a clinical trial on an injectable male contraceptive. The product is ready only with regulatory approvals pending. The trials are over, including extended phase three clinical trials. They did 303 candidates, 97.3% success rate. Let me say this. women, don't trust a man that says he's on male birth control. We aren't, we aren't honest about things.
Starting point is 01:46:39 We're not trustworthy. We're not, just generally, we're not, guys say anything to have sex. Baby, I'm on birth control. Show me your needle tracks. You got to show your tracks. I know. The birth control method, which lasts approximately 13 years. What?
Starting point is 01:46:53 Involves injecting a polymer called styrene, malayic, and a hydride. into the vast de-reference, effectively blocking sperm from leaving the testicles. For 13, so it's basically you just put a little cement in there or something. Silly putty. That's what that is. It's just silly putty in a longer term. I think, though, too, it's, you can probably have it disabled.
Starting point is 01:47:19 What are they? The same way that women can have their, their, tube's tired reverse. Yeah, I mean, there's always. Or the die. I don't think you're just set for 13 years. Like, I think you can work for 13 years. It's the longest I've heard of anything working, though.
Starting point is 01:47:30 It's just, 13 years. Had they even had somebody have it in for 13 years? Amy, I have one piece of paper and I read shot to the wiener and stopped reading until just now. That's all I was going to listen to. That's a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot to take and to endure. Well, and women have to endure a lot.
Starting point is 01:47:50 Here's the weird thing. We probably, when it comes down to it, shouldn't be messing with our insides with hormones and chemicals that make you do things that aren't natural. I agree. That's why I haven't had because of my... By the way, I'm all for birth control. But again, it's probably messing with this in a bad way. I'm also all for cell phones. 20 years, we're going to have big things outside of our head.
Starting point is 01:48:13 So I'm not anti, actually love cell phones. Love birth control. On it myself. Just the women kind. Does that work for you? Not really. Getting his estrogen or progester. But I'm just saying there's probably, it's probably bad news.
Starting point is 01:48:25 Yes. It's like sugar. We're going to look back and sugars are going to be the cigarettes of we look back and we can't believe people. People were just smoking in cars. Doctors were going, you know, I've had to pick. Same thing's going to be with sugar in 20 years. We can look at that and go, holy crap.
Starting point is 01:48:40 So, but yeah, you can take out the all shot and pop yourself in a goob and all of a sudden, you're blocked up. Now I'm good. Eddie, your wife got her tube side, right? She did, yes. Therefore, I don't have to do the shot. That just makes me feel like, I don't like needles on my shoulder. Much less, much less in my gobstopper.
Starting point is 01:48:58 Right. You're everlasting gobstop. Let me tell you. They never last in my friend. I'm being honest. Thank you. Thank you for that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:49:09 Enough. It's a Bobby Bones show. Thanksgiving's coming up. Next week, huh? Yes, next Thursday. Did the Pilgrims have turkey for Thanksgiving? You probably heard both versions. You probably heard yes, but then you probably heard no.
Starting point is 01:49:21 They didn't, and that's crazy. But did the Pilgrims really have turkey for Thanksgiving? I think no. Because I heard what they have. Go ahead. But I don't know if it's true. Deer. The pilgrims did not have turkey for Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:49:36 It did not become a staple until the mid-1800s. There is no evidence that the early pilgrims had turkey at all, especially from where they were living, where they were staying. They most likely had duck and goose. Oh. So no deer. Well, I'm not saying no deer. It's all most likely.
Starting point is 01:49:51 We don't have any Polaroids from the party. We just go on by... But all the images I see always have turkeys running around. I don't say the images. These are people's thoughts of it. Yeah. No, we're done today. What's going on with you, Amy?
Starting point is 01:50:02 I have a Kane Brown event tonight with Marathon, so I will be doing that. What do you mean a Kane Brown event? Well, it's a Marathon event. Like Marathon what? Yeah, fueled by Marathon. Not a Marathon run. Oh, no. We're not running 26.2 tonight, but in Kane Brown's performing.
Starting point is 01:50:19 So we'll be just doing that. But it starts kind of early. Like, I feel like my day. Like, it'll catch up to me quick. What about you? Tonight, Luke Combs' album party. You put a new album last week. I'll be in New York for that.
Starting point is 01:50:31 So I'm leaving right now. And I'm going to head to New York and watch it tonight. Hey, Morgan, number two, is it up on the Bobby Bones Show YouTube? Yes, it should be. It should be. Okay. Or it's on Liveby Live.com. Okay, one of the two.
Starting point is 01:50:43 But we'll have the link on our Twitter. Definitely. So it's there, but you can watch Luke Combs tonight. I'll be with him in New York and he'll be playing half an hour of all of his new songs from his record. And if you're a big Luke Combs fan, it'd be real cool. So that'd be tonight. I'm leaving. Going to go to New York.
Starting point is 01:50:56 I'll be back tomorrow. Okay. Evening. Yep. By the way, Eddie and I'll be in Louisville and Birmingham this weekend. You want to come to those shows. Raging Idiots.
Starting point is 01:51:05 We got a new Christmas song we're playing and another new song. We've got a bunch of new stuff. Have you learned the second new song yet? Not yet. You got to get on that. I'll do that today. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:16 Thank you guys. Have a great day. Check out pictures from the holiday party. It's kind of a Christmas party, but before Thanksgiving. So kind of Thanksgiving slash Christmas, a little bit at the Halloween. We had it in my house last night.
Starting point is 01:51:27 Check it out on my Instagram at Mr. Bobby Bowman. Have a great day. Everybody see you tomorrow. Get your bones on the Bobby Bones Show. All right.
