This is a story I didn't get to because it was kind of on the borderline of can we talk about it?
Starting point is 00:02:50 We could have, but sometimes we saved up after eight. This guy woke up after a heavy night of drinking. And he found out that someone had chopped off his penis. What? Oh my gosh. That's still happening? I don't know if a happening. Lorraine above it once.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Right, which is the last we've heard of that happening. Fortunately for him, they left it there. Can they put it back on? So the guy rushed to the hospital and doctors were able to reattach it. Wow. What happened to the old-fashioned, like shaving cream in the hand and tickle the nose? Well, we clearly was like a bigger... They start drawing it on near their forehead.
Starting point is 00:03:26 You think he wakes up and goes, oh man, Jamie got me again. It got me. Yeah. Is there any more details as to like, what? Yeah, I mean, I didn't go. Well, I mean, I'm curious. I actually took the story and laid to the side. I mean, I'll read it.
Starting point is 00:03:42 The 44-year-old guy recently went out drinking. He put down so much he passed out drunk when he woke up. He found his penis was missing. Oh, my gosh. There was some good news for him, though at least, well, as good as you can get. Whoever did it left his package next to him. So he rushed to the hospital and his. his junk and after a seven-hour surgery, doctors were able to reattach it and get it
Starting point is 00:03:59 working again. He says he has no idea who chopped off his penis or why they did it. He has no idea. Like, I'd be able to identify the culprits probably pretty quick. Who have I been with? Like around. Yeah, who doesn't like me? Because who randomly does a penis shopping?
Starting point is 00:04:13 Yeah. You got to be naked or have it out around somebody. Right? Yeah. And who doesn't wake up when it's happening? Somebody's drunk, apparently. Like really drunk. Like passed out.
Starting point is 00:04:23 You have been that drunk? No. No. I don't think so. You don't know. I mean, the only way to find out. I do not think so. The Billy Joe Schaever story about losing his finger.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Oh, yeah. So he's working and he's like in a lumber of saw machine. I think he's two fingers, right? Yeah. And so he's pushing law. I believe it was logs through and two fingers get chopped off and he grabs them. And he takes them to the hospital. And you put him on ice or something?
Starting point is 00:04:50 I think you have to keep. Not yet. He takes him and he's like, oh, and he takes him to the doctor because he said he read that in Japan or China. one of those countries, East, and he was like, they can reattach fingers. And this is like the 70s. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:02 And they're like, what? We can't reattach your fingers? Wow. And so the nurse was just put in formaldehyde and gave him to him. Wow. But he lost, and he's, you know, plays guitar and. Yeah, that's his right hand.
Starting point is 00:05:16 He's a wacko from Waco, man. He ended up shooting somebody. Yes, he did. He did. I don't remember the story. Here's the story. Here's the story. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Do you know Bill of Jashber is? Texas country? Oh, he's awesome. Really wrote a bunch of Waylon Jennings, a lot of Wayland Jennings stuff. He was a huge writer, mostly. So he, what story am I telling? You're telling the gun story. Okay, so he's at a bar, and he's with a girl, and a dude comes up and is like,
Starting point is 00:05:45 hey, beda-beda, and he's like, bada-bo-da. And so it's like, well, let's go outside. And so Bill J-Fervers like, all right, there's nobody from Texas turns out of a fight. So they walk outside And Billy Joe says the guy Pulls a gun and shoots at him Well other people say the guy just pulled a knife Whatever the case is
Starting point is 00:06:02 Billy Joe Schever takes out a gun Boom boom boom Shoots the guy Dead I do believe he died I believe he did This is like within the last 10 years This isn't like an old story or anything
Starting point is 00:06:15 Mm-hmm Mighty Fagg's checking me the whole time I'm talking about this Is he in jail? No no no So they have a trial in Waco And he's found not guilty and of self-defense. And at his trial, like, Willie showed up.
Starting point is 00:06:29 That's right. That's right. Yeah, Willie showed up. Like, Kinky Freeman was there. I do remember this. And it was this humongous thing. And he's from Waco. Yeah. And the song Waco from Waco came out.
Starting point is 00:06:40 You know, he wrote it about himself. But I'm trying to think of the guy who wrote this song they used in court as evidence. Who's the guy from Austin, always played Continental Club, Slick back here, then moved to Memphis? Dale Watson. Oh, Dale Watson. Yeah. Yes. Dale Watson called him.
Starting point is 00:06:55 I was like, can I write a song about this that you're shooting? Okay. And then he did and they used it against him. You're right. I feel stupid. And I think the judge was like, hey, why didn't you, could you have not got into this fight and done this? And he's like, I'm from Texas. We don't walk away from a fight.
Starting point is 00:07:10 That's right. I think I've been on a flight with this guy before. And then the Jerry's like, that's right. That's right. We don't back down for a fight. I'm not guilty. Yeah, that should be a movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:19 Yeah, it's Dale Watson. There you go. Oh yeah. He's even like on a Coca-Cola. Cola commercial, like recently. There you have it. And now the story's over, and now we shall wrap this segment up. All right, thank you all.
Starting point is 00:07:30 I feel like we can proceed with our day now. We're good. Everybody, have a good day. And here's today's show. Amy, anything, your podcast is up today. It's tomorrow, huh? Q&A was yesterday, new one up tomorrow. So, and probably plenty maybe you haven't listened to if you want to go back and
Starting point is 00:07:45 listen. Four things with Amy Brown. I have the Bobbycast, new one with Abby Anderson, goes up tonight. Also, Dustin Lynch is coming by on Morgan Evans. just go on subscribe and write a nice review if you don't mind. And lunchbox. Oh, yeah, we got the sore losers today. Eddie, Ray, and myself.
Starting point is 00:08:01 You check out that sports podcast. I know, you know. Yep. All right, thank you, guys. Here's today's show. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:08:11 The Bobby bones. Hello, hello. More studio. Morning. I have all my sharpies ready. Look. Yes, you do. I'm going to tell you.
Starting point is 00:08:28 You can't even fit them all in one hand. Listen, here's my thing. This is my thing. I have three different sizes of Sharpies up here because I love marking lists off. I love making lists. I love clearing lists. This Sharpie is a fine point Sharpie. When I need to write something on a piece of paper, I use a fine point Sharpie.
Starting point is 00:08:46 That would be your normal one. That would be my normal one. This Sharpie is a king-sized Sharpie. If I just need to mark something off a list, I can get the whole thing with a king-size. It's fat. This is a fat charpie, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Okay. This one here is called a magnum sharpie. Like, I don't even know. Extra large. It's extra large. Yeah. Whenever I buy these from the gas station, I take pride. I'm like, magnols, please.
Starting point is 00:09:12 And they look at you like, wow. Wow, look at this guy. So, and I use this one. I need to mark out multiple things at once. If I need a heavy redaction. Probably do the whole page on that one. Well, it looks like, there's someone I need. So you ever had to just reprint a page because you,
Starting point is 00:09:26 you know, there's no going back. Once you cross through something or sometimes you're like, ooh, mistake, mistake, reprint. I'm glad to bring that up because that has happened before. I do not. What I do is I go back to my fine print and I rewrite beside it. Okay. Like, ooh, and then I remark it out again.
Starting point is 00:09:42 That's my new thing. So satisfying. And when I travel, because I've been on the road a lot over the past year, might he need travels with these Sharpies. And he knows exactly what Sharpie I need at what time. And it's like, oh, that'd be a Sharpie too. And he hands me the King's Eyes. Anyway, what up?
Starting point is 00:09:55 We're here. I've got to help people on the phone. Let's go to... Alyssa in Minnesota. Alyssa, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. How are you? Hey, really good. What would you like to say this morning?
Starting point is 00:10:10 I just wanted to say that I love Amy's Morning Corny. Me and my preschoolers talk about it every morning. So I share her morning corny with them. And they all just love it. Would you like an early edition of the Morning Corny? Sure. It's a bonus edition of the Morning Corny. Absolutely. I'll share it with them this morning.
Starting point is 00:10:31 All right, here we go. Bonus Corny! Amy, are you ready? Yeah, this one will be good for the kids. The morning corny! What do you call a bear with no teeth? What do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummy bear.
Starting point is 00:10:46 Ah, that's right, there is. Gummy bear. Yeah, it is. Thank you. That was the... Will you share that with them? Absolutely. Will you make them clap at the end of it, like, we do.
Starting point is 00:10:59 Yes. Okay. Hey, Alyssa and Minnesota. Where do you live in Minnesota? In Rochester. Used to summer there. Love it. Love it so much.
Starting point is 00:11:09 It's okay as long as it's not the wintertime. That's why I go. In the summer. Yeah. Hey, thank you. Have a great rest of your morning, okay? Thank you. You too.
Starting point is 00:11:17 All right. Bye-bye. Let's go to Stacy in Arkansas. Hi, Stacy. You're on the show. Thank you for calling. Hi. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Oh, my goodness. So I just wanted to say, first of all, We absolutely love you guys. You all are fantastic. Thank you. You came to the Walton Art Center in Fayville, The Raging Idiots did a few years ago. And my son, it was one of his first concerts. We went.
Starting point is 00:11:39 You were so kind. After the show, we're doing a meet-and-gris. And we, I'm a single mom. I couldn't afford meeting-grit tickets. And you waved him back. And you have no idea the inspiration than you have been to him and all my kids. So now that you're coming to Little Rock, we're all coming down to see you as a family. We are so excited.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Oh, well, great. Well, I'm glad that happened. I understand that I do not get to do this job without the people that let me do this job. And that is you and your family and a lot of families and people listening out there. So that's the absolute least I could do. And I'm glad that I will see you soon in Litter Rock. I am so excited. Thank you so much for everything you guys do.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Well, thank you. Well, there you have it. I mean, we can't get any better than that call. No. So why don't we just get the show started here? They have a healthy guideline for coffee consumption. Have you been coffee drinker? Yeah, I mean, I love coffee, but I don't, I'm not unhealthy with it. How do you know?
Starting point is 00:16:48 Because I, if I have it, I can stop at a cup. I used to do way more. It seems anything more than a half, a pot. or three large cups is detrimental to your health. Wow. Also, it makes you way jittery, but aside from that, that's when it starts to actually take you the wrong way. But I like the jitter. I don't drink coffee so much, but if I'm really hurting, and I've mentioned this before,
Starting point is 00:17:13 I don't drink a lot of the energy drinks, but I will knock down a five-hour energy, but I read on the bottle, you can have two. Oh. Really? But at the same time? I don't care. Yes. I think it's in a day, but I read same time.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Same thing. Oh. Can you imagine eight hours of pure energy? But that's what it is. About half a pot. You drink more than that's actually not good for you. Okay. I need to hand me that.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Oh, yeah. I need to give that to my husband. Did you guys put that up for me? Wait. You can just print it off on the internet, Amy. You don't need that exact piece of paper. No, I'll just, this is easier. It's already done.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Oh, now you're environmentally conscious. After having all of the yesterday. This is already done. So wait. You and your husband ran into Ryan Hurd? Yeah. at the grocery store. So Ryan Hurd is a friend and a country artist.
Starting point is 00:17:59 And here's some of Ryan Hurd's music here, by the way. Because Amy sees everybody at the grocery store. Or this one. It doesn't matter if it's down in. Was he in a cutoff t-shirt and all muscular? Nobody was buying protein shakes and he did look muscular. So much so, this is the first time my husband had ever met him. And when he walked away, my husband was like, okay, yeah, that dude's in good shape.
Starting point is 00:18:32 Nice guy, huh? Yeah, nice guy. Like he tapped me on the shoulder. I didn't know who wasn't turned around. and it was Ryan and then I was like oh hey and then again he had never met Ben before and so he's like hey I'm Ryan he was like I'm Marin's husband and my husband's like I feel you I'm Amy's husband you know that's funny and so they kind of bought it over that and I'm like Ryan you're you're you're you're you're like oh well you know everybody just knows me and Marin's husband kind of an attitude
Starting point is 00:18:55 and I'm like you're you're you really did he think he felt like that for real that's how he introduced himself to Ben so he just being funny like hi I'm married Morris husband maybe I mean he didn't he didn't he didn't even say Morris he just said I'm Marin's husband, but I was like, I don't know. And then, but they bonded over that. Ryan, we love you for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Jam, huh? Yeah. You know, I tell you, I have this friend that's having a wedding in Mexico. Never been to a destination wedding. Never been to Mexico. So, kind of, you know, a virgin on both of these. And I'm going, I'm scared. Because I don't want to go to Mexico.
Starting point is 00:19:46 I see what they do to Green Goes like me. In the movies. Yeah. The news. All things. And so I'm going, okay, it's a friend. I'm really going to suck it up and I'm going to go. And I don't have it to go with yet.
Starting point is 00:19:58 I did a plus one. But the weddings are until November? Surely before then I'll find somebody. Surely. So I'm going to this wedding. And I think you just land at the airport and you're just at the wedding. No, you have to drive an hour into Mexico. It's called the transfer.
Starting point is 00:20:12 I won't be a part of any transfer. It's called the transfer. To jail. That sounds like one of those movies. Yeah. The transfer. From the airport to the hotel. Two greengos.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Yeah. I'm not, I don't, that's scary to me is that I have to drive in a car from the airport to wherever this is. Because. Well, you're not driving. You're going to cab it, aren't you? I'm like in the trunk. Oh, gosh. Because don't they follow people and.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Oh, yeah. Who was telling, Mike D? Yeah. Okay, Mike D's mom and dad are from Mexico. Yeah, and they're going like in a couple weeks. And what do they tell you? They told me that my uncle just went and he got followed by a drug cartel. Like, right when he created.
Starting point is 00:20:50 crossed the border. They started following him and he noticed it and he stopped and went back into the U.S. because they wouldn't stop following him. But does he know why they were following him? They wanted his car. So what do I need to do to protect myself? I heard don't take a black SUV. I seriously heard that crossing the border like some sort of black SUV they like those. So they'll pull you over and get out. It probably screams money. We want your car. Yeah. I'm scared. Yeah. Just don't take. No jewelry. I don't wear jewelry. Right, so you're good. Take off a necklace.
Starting point is 00:21:23 Dress like Ryan Hurd. You're good, dude. Naked? Getting muscles. Protein. Wait, so Mike, what do they say? Give me some advice here. Well, my parents, they take out an insurance policy every time they go.
Starting point is 00:21:34 And apparently there's like a kidnapping insurance you can get too. Oh, perfect. You should get that. No, no, no. I don't get a crap about you guys getting money. I don't want to die. Oh. No, they won't kill you.
Starting point is 00:21:44 They just want your money. But I don't have any money to give them. That's when they kill. Right. That's when they take you and they contact your friends. Yeah, then we get a call and it's like... Find Bobby's money. Are your friends with Bobby?
Starting point is 00:21:53 Yes. And I'm going to be like... Is it a cookie monster? We want this cookies. No, no. It's Bobby your amico. And I'm like, I mean, we're going to have to cop up the money, which we would. They called me.
Starting point is 00:22:07 I'd be like, sorry. I'd love to help Bobby. What? No, we would do all the fundraisers here in America. We would get you back, safe and sound. Would you put a pimper joy shirt so he could get me out? Absolutely. For real.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Oh, yes. Yeah. I'm scared, guys, a little bit. I'm not known as the most courageous person anyway. But I'm scared of this. I have to drive an hour when I land in Mexico. Do I take security with me? Do I get security there? Oh, that should be your plus one.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Tim. Not a bad idea. That way you don't have to worry about. I mean, and he's well-versed in other countries because he was in, like, D.A. Yeah. Even my uncle stopped to talk to a police officer, and he's like, hey, these guys are following me. They're like, yeah, they probably want your money. They didn't do anything.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Yeah. Why would they? They're going to get killed. Or they get it cut of the money. Wow. Okay. Well, I'm now debating on this. How many people are going to this wedding?
Starting point is 00:22:59 God, if America ever... What do you mean? How many total? I don't know. Good question. Okay. I'm still on the fence, but the more you talk about it, I'm like... Oh, you're going.
Starting point is 00:23:09 No, we don't know yet. You go in the car ahead of me, and I've got you this gold-plated... Well, if I go my husband would be going. I've got her this gold-trimmed black SB that's going to go about a mile in front of it. You guys are good. I'm going to be about five minutes behind you. So, me and my husband get kidnapped first? Your husband's fine.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Your husband's not getting kidnapped. Your husband, how about your husband's my plus one? Because he's like the guy from Taken. That's right. With a set of skills. Yeah. Like, they won't mess with him. Y'all go.
Starting point is 00:23:36 My husband, we just had to cancel a trip to Haiti. We were going to go this weekend. But one of our friends was like, y'all shouldn't go together. If y'all go, don't go together. Y'all should take separate trips. President or vice president? Yeah, because you don't, we don't, you don't need to leave. your kids without parents.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Were you going to go to your kids' orphanage? Oh, yeah, for sure. We had several things you're going to do, but yeah, the orphanage, but Haiti's just a hot mess right now. So just keep an eye on Mexico. Mexico, Haiti. Mexico's no French Riviera. I know, but...
Starting point is 00:24:05 Like, I've been to the French Riviera, too. I don't even know where that is. You gave me a map. I would know where France is, but no Riviera. I've heard it in a Darius song. It's about it. Oh, yeah, that's true. French Riviera.
Starting point is 00:24:16 The Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Remember we know what you got. In recall news, Bob Evans, Beef Stroganoff, pasta trays have been recalled. They weren't inspected properly, taken back for a full refund. In other news, it was the second consecutive bad day of storms in the Midwest. 37 confirmed tornadoes. And finally, in TV news, James Holsauer, the Las Vegas gambler,
Starting point is 00:24:36 notched his 24th consecutive win on Jeopardy. He's now won over $1.8 million. America's favorite actor, Keanu Reeves, back in the news. Okay. My favorite actor. That's you saying that. Which, by the way, John Wick 3 is getting great reviews. Haven't seen it yet, but I had to pick the Avengers because I've just been avoiding those spoilers for so long.
Starting point is 00:24:57 But I will go see John Wick, maybe even this week. But Keanu Reeves, great actor, great American, wonderful guy. And I bring you another Keanu Reeves story. Keanu Reeves once bought an ice cream cone at a movie theater concession stand just so he'd get that piece of paper that was a receipt so he could sign his autograph for a kid who asked for it. Wow. The kid's like, hey, Mr. Keanu Reeves. Hey, Mr. Reeves. This kid's 16th, so I probably was more like,
Starting point is 00:25:24 Hey, Kiano. But, Kianno's like, I don't have anything to write with. Hold on a minute. And he looked at it. Let me get that. That's the cheapest thing. I get the ice cream cone. And he gets it.
Starting point is 00:25:33 I don't know if he ate it or not, but then he took the receipt and signed a note on there. He just needed a piece of paper. Yeah, he said that this dude told the story, said he saw Kiano walk up and he tried to secretly get an autograph. And he was like, oh, don't. I don't have anything to sign, so he's like, let me get some accession stand. America's favorite actor. Such a nice thing to do.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Yeah. Like, guys, he's giving seats up on subways. Yeah. He's donating millions of dollars to good causes. Didn't he like do CPR or something? Yeah, on everyone. Oh, the hemelech. Was it the heme like?
Starting point is 00:26:05 He just goes to hospitals and it's like, who needs it? All I'm saying is you were a little bit of a hater. I was, and I admitted that. And I have backed off a majorly. Yeah, but I'm never going to let you live that down. I have one of those Amazon screens. It shows you the screen. I don't know what you call it.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Amazon show. Oh, yeah? Yeah, I think about all you guys in Amazon show. Do you guys use those at all? You do? Only Mike does, great. Well, I didn't. You didn't give me one.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Yeah, you didn't. What a waste of money. Oh, I did it? No, you didn't. Who did I get Amazon shows for? All the producers? Oh. Well, it's like a screen, like a small TV screen, and it gives you the news, and you can look at it.
Starting point is 00:26:42 And it said that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are engaged. Like, score one for the little. funny, nerdy guy. Who is he? Exactly. He's the S&L weekend update. Oh, okay, okay, okay. Wedding bells from the future for Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost.
Starting point is 00:26:59 They said, hey, we've decided to get married. Johansen 34 and Jost is 36 and they'll be getting married. Congrats. Dorky, funny guy. Yeah. That's how you all felt when that one guy ended up with Arianna Grande. That's right. Love that.
Starting point is 00:27:16 And then now he's with, Kierkeye. Beck and sell. No, and they're not together anymore. Oh. And that's how I hope that you guys will feel about me at some point. I hope you guys will go, look at the dorky funny guy. He got the hotty. He got blank, whatever that is.
Starting point is 00:27:31 That's what I'm hoping that happens to. Starting point is 00:31:02 There she is. Hey, Caroline. Hey, how's it going? Hey, real good. Hey, I watch your Insta story videos. and I, listen, I normally, if somebody's pregnant, I don't, I'm just like, it's not for me. Yeah. I never had a baby.
Starting point is 00:31:14 One day I'll appreciate that. You can't relate. But for some reason, I watch all of your pregnancy stories, and I'm kind of in. You are? Yeah, I'm kind of invested in this whole pregnant. Well, she's putting it all out there. She's being honest with how she feels and everything she's going through and all the things. Here, let me say this.
Starting point is 00:31:31 By the way, let me set up Caroline Hobby, by the way. Caroline Hobby was on Amazing Race. Caroline Hobby was in Stealing Angels. Caroline Hobby does a podcast called Get Real, which is a fantastic podcast. That being said, she posted one picture, and I was, I didn't know how I felt about it. She was like in a dressing room in just her underwear. And she was showing her pregnant belly. And I was like, how do I feel about this?
Starting point is 00:31:57 I didn't quite know. Amy, would you do that? Wait, Caroline, were you in a swimsuit or underwear? Just underwear. Yeah, just underwear. Oh, well, she was just show, I mean, yeah, she's showing her pregnant belly. Like, go, Caroline. I don't know that I could do it, but.
Starting point is 00:32:11 I agree. You're saying you felt like weird. Like, should I be seeing this? A little bit. Well, I think what's happened is my body has become so much not my own lately, but I don't at all feel like that it was sexy. Like, I wasn't doing it to try to be sexy. I was doing it to kind of be like, here is this ever-changing pregnant body.
Starting point is 00:32:32 Whoa. Yeah, that makes sense. And that's what I felt it was, but I could definitely see weirdos screenshoting that. But are people into pregnant women? I don't think so. People are into everything. Yeah, probably somewhere out there someone. Yeah, like my age just raised his hand, I guess he is.
Starting point is 00:32:50 No, he did it. So, Caroline, how pregnant are you? We are six months. So 25 weeks. What's been the big difference? Like, day to day, what's the big difference to being pregnant? I was the first time I said I felt super nauseous and exhausted and just had a lot of anxiety and I've never I've kind of had anxiety as a person in general but not like on a regular basis a pregnancy has given me some anxiety just because you have this human in your body and I feel so responsible for every single thing that I do with it to make sure she's okay so that has like been interesting just navigating my anxiety, but I think that's kind of normal.
Starting point is 00:33:35 And I think just like feeling or kick around and knowing that there's a life in here that's about to come into the world and she's going to be ours and our full responsibility, it's just the most amazing feeling, but it's crazy. It's really been such a crazy journey. I'm very grateful to be on it, but it has evoked a lot of feelings of me for sure. Well, I'm telling you, I'll watch your stories, and I'm like, I wonder what pregnant Caroline's up to today. What is your...
Starting point is 00:33:58 Well, I just have tried to share it all because... you know, it's kind of a wild experience. What's your Instagram name? I mean, I follow you, but I don't know your name. Caro Hobby, C-A-R-O-H-O-B-B-Y. Now let me say this about Caroline. She does this podcast. It is fantastic.
Starting point is 00:34:15 It is called Get Real, G-E-T-E-Rill, Get Real, with Caroline Hobby. And you had on Lauren Aiken's Thomas Arett's wife, who, by the way, has her own little empire going, too, right? Oh, yeah, big time. Like, what's she like? she is probably the most down-to-earth wonderful human i have ever met someone posted a story and they're like this is the best podcast i've ever heard lauren aiken's i always say ikins is achens is the modern day it's like today's modern day mother teresa
Starting point is 00:34:46 and i just couldn't agree more with that her heart is so into serving she and thomas drette have such a great relationship she talks about how they love therapy how they were so called to adopt their sweet girl, Willa Gray. And then they found out they were pregnant at the same time. Like, she is just such a beautiful soul that wants to help others and use her platform only to spread awareness about orphan children and children in need and families in need. Like, all the reason that she wants her platform, because it makes her completely uncomfortable to have this spotlight is to shed light on children and people in need, which is unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:35:24 You know, and in the podcast, I was listening to the Lauren Aiken's podcast. And she talks about how she had a long-term boyfriend. And then as soon as she broke up with him, Thomas Shrap was like, I'm in love with you! Well, they met first grade. And they tried to date, like, in middle school. And it didn't quite, like, work out. Yeah, but then he confessed his love to her after college when they were all broken up.
Starting point is 00:35:44 And they had stayed friends this whole time. And then he's like, yep, I'm in love with you. And I'm going to dare you to kiss me. And the whole story is on our podcast. I would recommend that you check it out. I love the podcast. I see it, you know, getting bigger and bigger and climbing. up the charts and I hope you're
Starting point is 00:35:59 getting fulfillment out of it because I love it. Oh, thank you. I am. I'm loving it so much and it's been so fun to highlight all these wives of country artists too because they're so interesting. I was with Caroline Bryan the other night and it was Luke Bryan's wife. She's done it. She is a big Amy fan. A big Amy. Well, who isn't? That's what I said. She's not a big Amy fan. Do you know what I say people
Starting point is 00:36:21 because some people will be like, is Amy as awesome as she seems? And I say, this is what I say. I swear, I say no, she's not. She's Awesomeer. Like that's, that's, I agree. Yes, as nice as you think Amy is on this show and is wonderful, she's even better. I agree. And I use the analogy sometimes like would someone give me a kidney. And Amy wouldn't give me a kidney.
Starting point is 00:36:39 She'd give me both. Yeah, that's right. I would sacrifice my life. She would just go down. Who needs a kidney? Yeah. Who needs both of them? I mean, I don't.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Well, listen, Caroline Hobby's podcast is called Get Real with Caroline Hobby. And this week, Lauren Aiken's Thomas Rett's wife. And she talks to country music wives. I'm ready for you to get a husband on, too. Country Music husband. Yeah. Well, I know. And you know who's going to be one of my guests?
Starting point is 00:37:03 My first husband is Ben Brown with Amy Brown. Oh, can you imagine if Amy's husband did? I was putting that out there. Well, I was over at Caroline's house the other day and it came up. And her husband Michael was there and he was like, yeah. Yeah, okay, yeah. Yeah, you should do it together. And so, I mean, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:20 Amy, you can't do it. No, no. We can do it together? Thomas Wright didn't do it with Lauren. It's only been. I'm no. No. No.
Starting point is 00:37:26 I'm not a country music. Because you dominate conversations. Oh. No, but how great it would this be to have Amy and Ben together? I've done it. I've had them both up here before. Oh, on the radio. Yeah, on the radio.
Starting point is 00:37:39 And Amy dominates a conversation. Okay, well, Carolyn, I guess you're going to have to come somehow find a way to get Ben by himself with you. Just come over with a microphone. Yes. But listen. Did we just get a shot down? No way. No, he said you just need to do it alone with Ben because he says I will dominate the conversation.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Yeah. And he'll be like, honey, that's not true. Let me tell you how to really happen. All right, all right. Check out Get Real with Caroline Hobby. This week's guest is Lauren Akins. Caroline, talk to you soon, and I'll be watching all your answers. Oddly, I'll be waiting in front of the post.
Starting point is 00:38:06 I don't know why. I'm so fascinated with pregnant Caroline hobby, but there you have it. All right, bye, Caroline. Okay, bye, y'all. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. A few years ago, Becca's daughter had a medical emergency.
Starting point is 00:38:24 here at our house and the first one to respond was Bill Cox, a volunteer firefighter, stabilizes the daughter, saves her life. Flash forward five years. Bill needs a kidney. He was only born with one kidney. His kidney is failing. And Becca Bundy, the mom, steps up, is a match and is donating one of her kidneys.
Starting point is 00:38:44 Paying it back. Wait, so, walk me through that again. So Becca Bundy's daughter had a medical emergency. Bill is a firefighter. So he shows, and did they stay in touch after I guess they stayed in touch, but she found out that he needed a kidney. She was like, I just know I'm going to be a match. And she goes, gets tested as a match, and she is giving him a kidney.
Starting point is 00:39:04 So he saved the daughter's life. Now the mom is saving his life. That's a great story. How about that? That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show. Boney up the day.
Starting point is 00:39:16 This story comes to us from Canada. A 27-year-old man was wanted in British Columbia, and they had a segment that said most wanted and they showed his picture, his story. He went on their Facebook and commented, Hey, you morons, I'm in Edmonton. And so British Columbia police called up Edmonton and said, hey, can you go look for this guy? And guess what?
Starting point is 00:39:37 They found him. They got them. Nice. You know, do they do that because are they just fact checking and they just the integrity of fact checking? And they go on and they're like, nope, you're incorrect here. Are they kind of rubbing it in? You know what I would do?
Starting point is 00:39:51 I would go on and be like, hey, guys, I'm in Florida. and then send them down to Florida. Yeah. What an idiot. Isn't you going to be a bonehead? I don't understand. I guess sometimes I try to put myself in the minds of these boneheads. I can't do it.
Starting point is 00:40:05 I just can't do it. Like, why would you do that? Okay, lunchbox that's it. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Thank you. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Welcome to the show.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Another hour here. Monique and Louisiana is on. Hi, Monique. Good morning. What's happening? Nothing too much. How are you? I'm real good.
Starting point is 00:40:38 I'm glad you called. What would you like to say? Well, I wanted to know about an update on the dog situation. If you were still looking into adopting, if you had found a breed, you know, were interested in. I know you were kind of going back and forth before. Yeah, I get a lot of questions about this. I'm glad you asked because I don't know that I would have addressed it today. Even Amy's been hitting me up about it.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Yeah. Oh, okay. So here's my situation. I am going to get a dog right now because I gave myself until after the season of American Auto was over and now I'm super, super open to it. And I had talked with a couple of rescue groups because I had been leaning toward getting a French bulldog
Starting point is 00:41:17 or a mini Australian shepherd and there are rescue groups that have them specifically but when they would come to me, they would be like three and four and five years old. And I'm trying to get a puppy. And I don't know if that makes me selfish. Yeah, I wanted to... No, not necessarily. Just be ready for chewing and digging, but you know.
Starting point is 00:41:36 And I deal with that every day with Ramundo, right? There you go. Yeah, so, yes. And maybe it's not either one of them, frankly. I don't know. But I am going to get a dog, because I'm going to be honest with you, Monique. I'm quite lonely now that all the work is done. There you go.
Starting point is 00:41:52 You might have a little, a few minutes extra in your schedule. And, Monique, what do you think? Should I let the dog sleep with me in my bed? Because this was a big thing last time. Of course. Oh. Amy says no. And the sofa is theirs.
Starting point is 00:42:06 I say no. I have a hundred pound black lab. Oh, she's just a big baby. Well, my last dog had for 15 years shed and he was in the bed from the beginning. I would have thought nothing else but to have him in my bed. I loved him sleeping in the bed. But I had a girlfriend, I had a couple girlfriends during that time. And not that it was ever an issue, but it easily could have been.
Starting point is 00:42:25 And so, but if I don't say it's, but if I don't say it's okay that the dogs in, but he never knows it's even. an option. Yeah, but in some nights you wouldn't get good sleep because the dog would kick you and things, and so I think that's true. Quality of life. Well, that dog would kick me in the nuts. Well, yes, again, for quality of life. I kind of miss it, though. Sometimes I wake up and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:42:45 I just wish someone would kick me in my nads. Yes, Monique, I'm hot on the chase of a doggy. Wonderful. Good to hear. Any recommendation from you? Rescue. You know, just a rescue. And then they rescue us. You know what? So true. So true. Hey, thank you for calling. Hope you have a wonderful day. You, y'all too. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. Starting point is 00:46:59 See if you know this military slang. Great. Well, you use it around you, doesn't he? I know, but I still, when he uses it, I have to ask. He was like giving, you know, we have a nanny, and we go over times at the beginning of the week because of our schedules with the kids and different things. And he replied to her that she'd be done with work at 1,800 hours or whatever.
Starting point is 00:47:19 And I was like, nobody talks that way. She's going to be like, oh, wait, how long am I working? And he's like, used to work for 1,800 hours. He's like, yeah, I don't know. So annoying. Military slang, ready? Yeah, ready. Barney style.
Starting point is 00:47:35 What is it whenever they say? I don't know. That sounds not appropriate. What would you think Barney style means? The big purple dinosaur. Yeah, what do you think that would mean in military slang? Like, if they say, hey, this is Barney style. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:52 Elementary. Boom. When an instructor breaks something down as if it were to a child. Boom. So I got to break this down Barney style?
Starting point is 00:47:59 Oh. I like how you yelled that. You're real sergeant? Yes, sir. Okay. I got that one. Check. Blue Falcon.
Starting point is 00:48:07 If someone's a blue falcon. They, I don't know. They mess thing up for the whole squad. Mess things up for the whole squad. That's not cool. You should take this home to your husband and see if he knows them. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:18 And record it. Oh, sure. But do it secretly and don't tell them. Okay. And also ask all of his military secrets, but don't tell him. Bring it. He won't even tell me. How about a fart sack?
Starting point is 00:48:29 What do you think a fart sack is? When you... I don't know. I was thinking, what's that thing called when you put the covers a Dutch oven? Like if you're in the bed with your husband and he farts and you pull it over your head? Yeah, what is... It's a military term for a sleeping bag. Oh, ew.
Starting point is 00:48:48 What's the thing called that? Okay. I would think the word fart isn't as crazy in the military as it would be for us. I guess that's probably nothing for them. I don't know. I don't even like the word fart. You don't? No.
Starting point is 00:48:59 No, I'm not a big... I don't even know that I do it. You know what rack out means? You know what? Do you? Rack out? Rack out. I know what getting racked means.
Starting point is 00:49:12 No. Okay. What is it? It's like go to sleep. Oh. Because that's what... Anytime my husband was deployed really like getting off the phone, he's like I'm going to go rack out. I'm like, well,
Starting point is 00:49:19 Because at home he doesn't say that, let's wreck out. Yeah. He said, let's rock in. All right, all right. You know, on your phone sometimes it goes, so-and-so, celebrating a birthday. And it said that about Gaudier yesterday, and I was like, Gaudier, how do I know that? But it's this guy. One-Hit Wonder?
Starting point is 00:49:40 Yeah. So we'll do this. I'll give you a one-hit wonder song. You tell me who sings it. Okay. Amy, Eddie, I almost don't want to let you play because you're so good at music. I'm not, I'm not good at one-hit wonders. You're not? Okay. Amy, Lunchbox, and Eddie, write your answer down. It's song number one. Stacey's mom. Who sings Stacey's mom? Bump, bum, bum.
Starting point is 00:50:18 I'm in. I'm in for the win. After school. Okay. These people have more hit. Amy? Blink 182. That wouldn't be a one-hit wonder. No. I know.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Box? It's got to be some 41. Oh! No, I know. Eddie? See, Fountains of Wayne. It's Fountains of Wayne. It is? Yeah. Oh. Okay, Eddie. Wow, no, no, no. I know. Guys, I wrote that. Oh, my goodness. Let me play. I'm bad. I really guess on that.
Starting point is 00:50:47 I almost just said bowling for soup. No, they have a couple. They have like two. They have one big. That could have been, that would have been acceptable, I think. Debatable, but okay. Here we go. Number two. Take on me. Take on me. Was that you? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:22 I turned it out so you know with me. Okay. There's things that take on me. Amy? The wrenches. Oh, wow. How did you know that? I just guessed.
Starting point is 00:51:36 How did you know, someone told you? No, I just guessed. Did someone text you that? I thought about the rackets, but then I went with the wrenches. That'd be ridiculous. That's stupid. The wrenches, wow. No. It's not even a band.

Starting point is 00:54:21 And he's going to yell. Now I know it. Even if you didn't. I'm just going to say what I wrote down. Amy? Android. Android. Yes, the operating system.
Starting point is 00:54:30 What is her name? I'll tell you what it is. You want to know it? Yeah. Am I. Yes, you got it. I totally got it. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:54:40 I did Lady Hammer. So dumb. So dumb. Lady Hammer. After we made fun of Amy for wrenches, you went with Lady Hammer? I couldn't help himself. I knew as a girl. Yeah, M-I-A.

Starting point is 01:00:29 Here's Amy's pile of stories. So bridal crocs are a thing and they're white crocs with like sparkles on them And they're $115. Well, the price is expensive, but I'm going to tell you this. I don't think it's a bad thing. Right, because, I mean, every bride wants to be comfortable underneath her dress. And it's not even about walking down the aisle so much. It's also about the day of, as you're walking around getting ready, you want to wear comfortable shoes.
Starting point is 01:00:53 And you want to look cute. Like, I'm a bride. Look at my sparkly crocks. I'm not saying the crocs are cute. They are pretty comfortable, though. I know the big crocs, too, like the big dopey and holes in them. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:03 I mean, but they're just, yeah, they're like, okay, what can we think of crocs for? Have you been post Malone, mate Crox, his own version? I was like, thank you for saying that because I was just wrapping my brain. I literally picked this story because it's like, Crocs might be coming cool again because I saw somebody posting about them. And lunchboxes had the same pair of crocs for like ever. Oh, yeah? You still wear them? Yeah, still wear them. They're still in the closet. Yeah. They're like brown or something.
Starting point is 01:01:31 Yeah, beige. Okay, so Bobby. They used to be white. Yeah, what else? Okay. I know that you're always trying to find the perfect profile pick for your dating thing. All the time. I've switched my like nine times in the past hour.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Listen, did you know that having weird animals in your dating profile pick will help you get swipes or likes or hearts or whatever? Somebody have a platypus I can borrow? No. You don't even need something crazy like that. You just need like a sheep. A sheep? I had to go back to my OG profile picture because some of my stuff just wasn't working. You don't see my picture, Amy?
Starting point is 01:02:05 Yeah, but I mean, I want to give you the top list of animals. Well, you hold your horses. Get it? A horse is on the list number four. I know. I figured it was. I'm back to that picture right there. That's cute. I know.
Starting point is 01:02:16 I feel like it's played out, though. I mean, I'm 17 in that picture. No, I'm not. What are the animals? Hold, let me give me a drama. How many do you have? You have five? I can do five.
Starting point is 01:02:27 I have eight. He was going to do 30. Okay. At number 109. Okay. At number eight. Cats. Okay, I like you said weird animals
Starting point is 01:02:37 Sorry And number seven And number seven Frogs Okay That's weird That's gross And number six
Starting point is 01:02:47 Dogs Dogs are just I think people are used to it And number five Rabbits Okay You say the number It's more fun
Starting point is 01:02:56 And number four Horses Okay Number three Elephants Elephant Wow What do you get one of those
Starting point is 01:03:02 What the This next animal will increase your inbound messages by 328%. Yeah, because they're like, how'd you, how do you crack? You get an elephant. That's what the message is. All you have to do is go to the zoo and take some picks. All you have to do.
Starting point is 01:03:16 Touch the elephant there. Yeah. Do you get to get in the cage? Well, people do those things. Johnny, is it clear? I'm going to jump in. It's an electric fence. And that was, number two.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Number two. A sheep. A sheep. Okay, let me guess number one. Let's guess number one. You're never going to guess number one. Okay, I got it. But it's totally doable.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Like, you could get yourself a picture with one of of these. Kangaroo. No. Okay. I was going to say goat at first until Amy was like you can never do it. But now I'm going to go with saskatch. You can.
Starting point is 01:03:44 You can. I said you can. I said you can totally do it, not never. Oh, a bear? Oh. Like I had lots of these when I was a kid. Oh. Oh, a gerbil.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Hamster. Yeah. That's not. Don't do that. No, wait. First of all. It's everyone's favorite childhood pet. First of all, stop.
Starting point is 01:04:00 If you had a hamster. No, no. By the way. No, hold the way. Stop it. Let me just say a couple things. Please go. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please go do a photo shoot with the hamster.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Amy. What did you say? What'd you say? It'd be hard to do? No, I said it's totally doable. But, you know, or it's a, what you led into it with something like where we thought it was going to be an alligator. Something exotic. I think you misheard me. No. Or a peacock. Right. Alpaca. No, but isn't that neat to know? There's no way that works. Whatever. Bobby. Put a hand to your profile.
Starting point is 01:04:33 I didn't know where I thought she was going. Put a hamster in your profile. All right. Go ahead. Okay. So in Plano, Texas, there's this movie theater that has opened that allows dogs and bottomless wine. So you can take your... For your dog?
Starting point is 01:04:52 No. No, it's the world's first dog-friendly movie theater with free wine and whiskey. I mean, I think that that's kind of cool. You can take your dog, but then I worry about... You know how some... Sometimes when dogs see other animals on TV, they bark? Or how about all the other animals in the theater? All the dogs are there with you.
Starting point is 01:05:12 Peeing and pooping everywhere. So you all aren't into it? No. I don't even go into it. This is the world's first one and it's in Texas. There's a reason there's only one. I am not even into going to the movies when there are other humans. Oh, get this.
Starting point is 01:05:25 You have to buy a ticket for your dog. It's weird. He can't even watch them. Have you been drinking wine this morning? No, but Whatever I just thought it might look cool But the more I'd think about it
Starting point is 01:05:38 It's not cool That would be annoying And then what if they'd use the bathroom? It's probably stinky Never mind Yeah I mean go to that And then you have to show your mics and Ix
Starting point is 01:05:48 With your dog Yeah Popcorn I mean dogs free whiskey and wine Like I don't even trust places They have free alcohol There's no
Starting point is 01:05:58 Well your movie ticket's like $15 dollars so I believe I had a oh there's an axe throwing places they have alcohol Oh yeah It's a terrible idea There's one in my neighborhood
Starting point is 01:06:09 It's like what? Where do you live? Yeah I've been to your house Do you live in the woods No I get walked to it I could They have an axe throwing place
Starting point is 01:06:18 Just down the street from my church Yeah And anyone can pick up an axe and throw it Just chunk it Yes You drink and you throw axes I drive by and I see people doing it I bet someone's gonna turn the wrong way
Starting point is 01:06:28 They'd be so drunk Which way What out? All right. Added rap, Am? Yeah, but for real. Are you going to put a hamster in your profile pick? I would, stop asking me if I'm going to put a hamster into it.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Okay. I'll photoshopping one. Rod Stewart. And then you can just try it for a day. For one day, see if it gets you more action. Action. You know what? I'll put a hamster anywhere for action.
Starting point is 01:06:55 You know what I'm saying? Okay. Thank you. I made me that's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:07:08 So there's this 86-year-old woman. Her name is Miss Millie, and her Uber driver arrived at her house, but no Miss Millie was coming out. And the Uber driver's like, hmm, well, this is weird. So instead of just leaving, like maybe some drivers would, the driver, Clara, she decided to go to the door. And after 10 minutes of knocking and trying to. figure out where Miss Millie was, she decided something must be wrong. She called 911 and it's a good thing because, yeah, she had slipped and fallen in the tub and she couldn't get out. 86 years old.
Starting point is 01:07:41 Did she know Miss Millie from the past? I don't think so. It doesn't say so because she, the nephew is the one that even arranged the ride. So who knows? Maybe the nephew kind of sent a note heads up, like, hey, this is my 86-year-old. Yeah. So like. Listen, it's not.
Starting point is 01:07:59 me, you know, Michael. Right. You're going to pick, and then she didn't show up. She's not, like, heads up. She's not used to Uber or Lyft or whatever. And then. Well, good for her. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:09 So, emergency people responded a little shoulder pain. She's fine after fall. But, yeah, she was stuck in there for a couple hours because she was supposed to be dressed and ready to go by the time. But, yeah, she couldn't get out of the top. That's good. Good for her. She's looking out, and that's what's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 01:08:26 The latest from Nashville. Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 Second Skinny. Luke Combs is dropping an EP with five new songs titled The Prequel. Beer Never Broke My Heart, his new single will be on it, plus songs called Refrigerator Door, even though I'm leaving, Love on You and Moon Over Mexico.
Starting point is 01:08:45 There's a little bit of beer never broke my heart. Longed eyes come, me never broke my heart. Like diamond rains and football teams are torn this boy apart. That guy good. All right, what else? The next CMT Crossroads will feature Brooks and Dunn, recreating their reboot album with guest performers, Luke Combs, John Party, Brett Young, Cody Johnson, Midland, and Lanko.
Starting point is 01:09:10 They're taping it live in downtown Nashville on June 4th. I think that the cool show, I don't see the crossroads part of it, though. Usually it's crossing genres. Right. Can't they add Montel Jordan? Yeah, right. Maybe they will. Boot scooting is how we do it.
Starting point is 01:09:25 That sounds like a good show, though. What else? In her interview for Women's Health magazine cover, Marin Morris says she noticed similarities to Lady Gaga's character in the movie of Starsborn. She says the movie rocked her and her husband and she went to therapy, and her and Ryan agreed they would never end up like the couple in the movie. Oh, wow. Well, let's hope Ryan doesn't end up like Kim.
Starting point is 01:09:47 Don't give anything away that, yeah. Let's just say. I feel like the girl in Starsborn sometimes, too. Do you? Right now, actually, I do. Yeah. Thank you. Anything else we're going to?
Starting point is 01:09:58 No, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. All right. Starting point is 01:13:45 If you're new to this show Amy always wanted her own segment where she could tell a corny joke So being the giver that I am, right? Yes. Thank you. I gave this segment to her, and it is fantastic. The Morning Corny.
Starting point is 01:14:03 Did you hear about the guy that's terrified of elevators? I did not. He's going to start taking steps to avoid them. Oh, get it. There we go. Oh, therapy joke. Maybe. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:14:21 Good, good, good. What did you do yesterday? I was up here for several hours. I ended up, I thought I would work here, like, after the morning show for a long time and then go home. but I went home because I was starving, eight, and then came back up here for like four hours. Yesterday, I said, hey girls,
Starting point is 01:14:36 I took to Amy and Morgan number two. Like, what's up? They're like, we want to go boxing because I have a boxing gym in town. A couple of them. Yeah. There's boxing, but there's also like workout stuff. So I'm like, okay, cool, we'll go. I'll hit you up.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Sent the text out. And then I just go because I expect you get the text. Oh, Amy doesn't show up. But I didn't reply to the text because I didn't see it. But it's in like three hours ago. I know, but I still didn't see it. That was also at a time I had like multiple texts going. Who doesn't see a text?
Starting point is 01:15:03 I told me the other day that I missed text, even for my husband. And I was like, Bobby's like, I don't believe it. And then like yesterday. I think she did to prove a point. No, I didn't. I felt horrible. I would never do that to prove a point. And I'm up here.
Starting point is 01:15:15 I'm in Bobby's office and I'm parked in his spot. And I see he's calling me and I'm like, oh, shoot. Is Bobby here? I'm towing her. I've got a car out there lifting her up. Sorry, Amy. So I answer his phone. He's like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 01:15:27 I was like, I'm actually in your office. office and I'm thinking like I can come move my car or whatever and he's like well we're at the gym we're waiting for you and I'm like a what we were right Morgan too we were we were I mean you know I didn't reply I yeah I knew she didn't reply but I wasn't we were like sitting there we weren't sure if you weren't coming and the text was sent like hours and hours before and you even said I didn't see it I would have replied I can't come or I said you said you wanted to come and that's the time we always go I you might have brought up the idea of going she did I know but Bobby but I never if I didn't see the text. Like, I didn't, I didn't know it existed. So you have to be in the world of, like, that text didn't exist. Clearly, if I had seen the text, I would have replied. Actually, I would have come. I really wanted to go. Every part of you made that happen yesterday. You said, can we go? I scheduled it. We texted. I went, and Amy didn't show up. It's fine. Morgan number two and I boxed. Yeah. And I'm telling you, I used to just think she would only beat up lunchbox. Now she, I'm watching her. She can beat up Eddie, too. Yeah. I believe it. And she may can beat me up. Really?
Starting point is 01:16:28 I'm telling you. She has a right hook that just will punch a hole in you. I put it on my Instagram. Like, she punches hard. And so, yeah, we boxed yesterday. And then she's like, that's our whole thing. I'm so tired at the end.
Starting point is 01:16:43 I can't even move my arms. Yeah, whatever. Are your parents athletes? I mean, no, I played a lot of sports growing up, though. She hits so hard. There's no doubt she'd beat you two up and possibly me.
Starting point is 01:16:56 Should we try it? Yeah, one at a time. Let's have her start with lunchbox. He's been dodging that fight for years. Then Eddie. All right. All right. But, yeah, I mean, you missed out.
Starting point is 01:17:06 I know. I did. And I had workout clothes on, and I was thinking, oh, maybe I could just drive over there real quick. But then I figured you were already so annoyed with me. So I was like, I'll just. I wasn't that annoyed. Well.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Was I in that annoyed, Morgan, too? To me on the phone, I already felt bad. And I even pull, you said, pull up the text. So I'm at my computer and I pull it up. And I'm like, oh, well, sure enough, there it is. I'm like, oh, great. I feel I would never just ignore it and then come to work and be like la la la. Like, sorry.
Starting point is 01:17:33 Well, it was her idea. Then she ignored a text and then she didn't show up. That's the part where you kind of made me feel bad. You were like, the only reason why we're here is because you wanted to come and now you're not even here. And I was like, okay, I'm just going to go ahead and stay far, far away. Well, that happened yesterday. Yeah. One of the great things about me being kind of off the road and going back and forth every week to California for shooting their shows is that actually I went to a friend's birthday party last night.
Starting point is 01:17:55 He was like, hey, come birthday parties. Brandon Ray, one of my dear friends. Yeah, how was it? It was good. And here's what happens at first. I get everywhere early. And the party was at 6. So I started at 5.50 I got there.
Starting point is 01:18:06 And there was nobody there. Right. I know, but I thought there'd be somebody there. Because I also had to leave early. So I got there at 5.50, and I looked, there was nobody there. So I got back in my car and drove around for about 25 minutes. Went to the gas station. You ever do a shop and spend in the gas station where you just kind of walk around, look at everything?
Starting point is 01:18:22 Yeah. To kill time? I wonder if I'm like that. I don't have time like that if I'm going somewhere. Well, I was so early, this birthday party. Oh, that's true. That I was like, what am I going to do? So there's a gas station across the street.
Starting point is 01:18:33 So I went parked over there and just went through and looked at everything. What? Yeah. And so then I went back over later and I hung out for a little bit. And you know how, let me try to say this the right way. You know how, like when they say when people start to become, let me get to my point before you roll your eyes at me, start to become celebrities, that everything, all the access to everything is easier. Like the women, they say drugs.
Starting point is 01:18:59 Like you become a celebrity, everybody just wants to give you everything, bad things, right? Yeah. Well, I'm starting to have a little bit of that because I walk into that place and somehow a Shirley Temple ended right in my hand. Oh. I don't even know where it came from. Wow. The access, that American people are like, there he is, give them a Shirley Temple. There is.
Starting point is 01:19:13 Now I'm starting to feel that a little bit. Two Shirley temples. I finished one, I was like, that's too much sugar. Layed it down. Somehow there was another one in my hand. Celebrity life. I'm basically a real. I'm basically Mick Jagger.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Yeah. Like the. The drugs just disappear. The wimpiest version ever. The most wholesome version ever. And then I left. And Eddie gave me a hard time because... Because he left without saying goodbye.
Starting point is 01:19:39 He did the whole Irish thing. What's it called? Well, it's called the Irish Goodbye. Irish Goodbye. And I didn't say anything splits, leaves. Everyone's like, Bob's slid out. You just act like you're going to the bathroom or what? No, no.
Starting point is 01:19:50 I just leave. Because I don't want it to be about me. I don't want to go around everybody like, oh, Bobby's leaving. So you know what I do? slide out the door. Nobody missed me. No, yes, they did. And everyone turns around like, Bobby, where did?
Starting point is 01:20:01 That's not true. That's not. He was just right here. And then there's probably like a 10-minute discussion. Like, did he just leave without saying bye? Yes. And then, yeah. Do you know what you missed out on, though?
Starting point is 01:20:11 As soon as you left, do you know what they started? The office trivia. Yes. I know I'd have been there all night, so I had to get out before I started. Oh, that's why you left. I don't. Wait, what? The office.
Starting point is 01:20:18 Oh, the TV show. There's a whole trivia. There's a whole trivia based on the office. I'm like, Bobby missed out on this? I would have sat there and I would have played all night long and I would have won. Dominated. Thank goodness. Or I'd have lost and have been like, I hate myself.
Starting point is 01:20:31 And it was too late. It was 7.30. What kind of life do you think I live? Yeah, it was terrible. Some was noon high. I had a Shirley Temple and it was late. So I was good. But yeah, I slide.
Starting point is 01:20:42 I don't, you have to go around and like hug everybody. And then everybody's like, oh, you're leaving. I want to be to feel like. Oh, you're leaving already. I just, I left. Yeah. I get it. I did it for you guys, though.
Starting point is 01:20:53 Yeah. Okay. It was fun though because I actually had the time to go out and spend time with friends, which never happens. So it was good. Worked out. Amy didn't show up. Yep. But.
Starting point is 01:21:04 Didn't get the text. You got the text. When you called me. Did you get the text? Did I, how do we, how do you mean to phrase this? I didn't read the text. Okay, there you go. I didn't know that the text was there waiting.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Why is lunchwalk shaking his head? I mean, you got the text. You are the one that's on your phone the most. out of anybody and to say you miss the text. I miss text all the time. I just admitted that the other day. Wait, why would I, okay, don't even. Why would I not reply at least that I can't make it?
Starting point is 01:21:34 That's not my personality. I didn't see the text. Ooh, turn it up. I mean, I already feel bad. For now on, when people won't stop talking, I'm just going to play this song. Okay, I'll just keep rambling over the song. Kikio. We ready.
Starting point is 01:21:53 We ready to beat Matt's butt. Matt, are you there, buddy? Speaking. Yeah, there. Speaking. Look at this guy. We're about to play Win Bobby's Money. Where Matt is inside, he does not want the cash in my wallet.
Starting point is 01:22:08 If he beats me, he wants to bring his family back for meet and greets at the upcoming Raging Idiots Tour, music and comedy tour. All right, Matt, I think that's fair enough. Fair enough, a little negotiation there. Okay, so how this works before we get started here is Lunchbox will ask 10 questions. The category, is it 60 seconds for the questions. right, it can be over 10? Yeah, it can be over 10.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Lunchbox will last 60 seconds worth the questions to you, Matt, and I will be out of the room. I do not hear the questions. I will come in and answer the exact same amount of questions. And whomever has the most wins. The category is... The 2000s. In the year 2000.
Starting point is 01:22:44 Like, I don't know... I'm looking at these questions. I don't know how either one of you guys are going to miss a question. That's not a point. Like, you're talking about my era. Right. In 90s or 2000s, I'm a crush. Like, it's going to be...
Starting point is 01:22:56 But it's good as long as it's even. We're good. Are you ready, Matt? Ready. Let's play. Win Bobby's Money! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. Starting point is 01:24:14 Yes, sir, thank you. No pressure. Only millions of people are listening to you right now. Kind of freaking out. Don't freak out. Matt, see, don't do that. Don't let him get inside your head. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:24:25 No, he goes, now I'm kind of, freaking out. Yeah, that's right. You should be because they're all going to laugh. Oh, I thought you're out of the room. Dang. He's walking out. He's walking out. Now he's out. Now you can say anything bad you want to say about him. All right, Matt, are you ready? I'm ready. Okay, don't have any distractions. Starting point is 01:28:33 He got seven. Those were eating. easy question. I like that. Not just for me, but if you're asking easy questions, then listeners play along too. Yeah. And also, I'll keep winning. Give me easy ones. He passed on the Wii and Dunkleman. Which other one?
Starting point is 01:28:48 Dunkleman's up my alley. That was, yeah, that was the same. You said it and I remembered it. Oh, John Heater, he passed on that one. Did you get Frodo? No, we didn't get that far. We didn't make it that far. Well, we didn't make it. Well, listen, Matt, there is no consolation prize. No, there is. You have to sign this and we mail it to
Starting point is 01:29:03 them. Oh, yeah. We mail them the loser sheets. That's the sheet. Those are the questions. Those are the ones, and he'll have to put that on his wall and look at it every time. Man, I lost. And you're going to sign it with a magnum or? Listen, I have three types of Sharpies as we talked about this morning. I'll sign it with, let's see.
Starting point is 01:29:20 I'm going to take the fine point. If you sign them with a magnum, that's disrespect. Yeah. You just like slapping in the face. You suck with big letters. Hey, listen, Matt, here's what we're going to do, bud. I can't give you the prize, but I can probably get you on for another game in the next few weeks and we can not this game because you'll lose every time but we'll get you on for

That's what I say, too.
Starting point is 01:30:09 Farther up. All right, listen, we're going to figure out way to get you back on, okay? Sure, that would be great. All right. See you, bud. Thank you. It was fun. Love you, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Hold on a minute. What do you say? He said he loved you. Hey, man. I got awkward. You're a good dude, too. Everybody in St. Louis, that show's almost sold out if you want to come, Raging Idiots.com.
Starting point is 01:30:29 The end. Do I have done to play a song or no? It's Amy's favorite song because I should play it. Oh, yeah, whiskey glasses? Yeah, how did you know? Well, it's my jam right now And I have to go the bathroom, so hit it Amy goes to the bathroom 18 times of the show
Starting point is 01:30:41 Because I'm drinking 100 ounces of water a day Just for a second during the show I don't have any water out Okay, you go pee, we'll come back It's probably from yesterday I'm still peeing it out All right She's doing her hand motion
Starting point is 01:30:54 Like she's still peeing out Amy had to Kind of inflicts some vigilante justice in her neighborhood because someone had written on the sign, what they write, death? Death, they tagged it in red graffiti. Huge.
Starting point is 01:31:10 And so you would drive by and it would always say death, death, death. Yeah, I mean, my kids saw it every day. Death. So you go over to it. And first of all, you've got to decide that you're going to do it because that's against the law also what you're doing. Right, because we don't own the property. Like, what if the owner is a property?
Starting point is 01:31:23 They put that there just for, you know, art. But they didn't. So my friend and I, she came over, she brought the paint, and we were ready to march out there and go do it. And my son's with us. My husband puts on his camo shorts. Like, we're ready to paint.
Starting point is 01:31:40 But quick, yeah, you get in and out. Right. So we got hoodies, sunglasses, all the things. Are you robbing a bank or painting white graffiti over? Well, no, but I was a little nervous about getting busted, like covering up the vandalism, unvandalizing it. And we walk right towards it and we all look at it and we're like, what? Somebody beat us to the job.
Starting point is 01:32:00 I mean, it has said death for a while now. And then all of a sudden, the minute we're going to take matters into our own hands, somebody else did before us. Like, we were so disappointed because we really wanted to do it. And we were already ready. And my friend Gracie, she went and bought all the paint. And, like, she's got a baby. The baby was in the car sleeping.
Starting point is 01:32:20 The baby had sunglasses on, gloves on, it gets fingerprints. Like, he wasn't even feeling that great, but she's like, I'm still coming over. It's fine. Like, we got to do this. And, yeah, Wall was taken care of. So I was like, huh, I don't know if somebody heard us talk. about it or it just is a total coincidence, but somebody beat me to the wall. Well, it's a thought that counts.
Starting point is 01:32:41 Yes, I know. Make a neighborhood a better place. Like, I guess we have other neighborhood vigilantes or the owner of the property. Or the woman that lives by you that doesn't like you. Oh, they try to beat me to do it. Oh, or beat me to it. Well, good. I'm glad it's gone off the wall.
Starting point is 01:32:57 Yeah, it's gone. So it's great. Sad to read. I don't, let me read it. Fruit juices are just as bad with you as sugary soda, it says. Because I drink a lot of, like, fruit juicy. Not juices from the store, but, like, I'll go to a place and watch them squish the fruit. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:33:17 That's why I tell you to get the green juice, and you're like, I look a little bit of fruit. I don't know. I don't like green. I know, but then you're just getting all the sugar from the fruit with none of the fiber. I don't like celery juice. It's gross. Who wants to drink celery juice? It's actually pretty good.
Starting point is 01:33:31 No, it's not. It is. Even fancy, don't tell me, that's like telling someone, you know, I don't like that song, yes, you do. No, I don't. No, yes, you do. You don't know what I like. Even fancy cold-pressed juice may be just as deadly as sodas. Deadly, whoa.
Starting point is 01:33:47 According to the Journal of American Medical Association. Researchers already knew drinking sugary beverages was associated with health issues, like toothed decay, weight gain, type 2 diabetes. But they found that people who drank sugary beverages experienced a high rate of death than those who didn't. Wow. It just got serious. It just says death, though. Like, it doesn't say...
Starting point is 01:34:05 Because we're all going to die. I'm going to tell you what I made recently, because I got a squisher. I made this juice. And I put it in mason jars. And all it is is it's a little bit of lemon, and it's celery and pineapple. And that's it.
Starting point is 01:34:24 Why am I? What I have to die for that? Yeah. Sounds good. I don't think you're going to die from that. You're good. And also some cherry coke. I put that in there.
Starting point is 01:34:34 Well, now you might die. The Jeopardy guy keeps winning. The Jeopardy guy has won 24 times for a grand total of $1.8 million. And Ken Jennings is one of the most with 74 wins, and he won $2.5 million, but this guy could actually beat the money amount before he beats Ken Jennings' number amount. But yeah, this guy's just crushing it. I don't even watch Jeopardy, but if it's on, I'll flip over and see what's up. But yeah, that dude's been killing it. And he bets all the money.
Starting point is 01:35:00 what he does. Anybody have watched this at all? He's awesome. He's amazing. He's watching his strategy at all. Yes. He goes for the lower bottom heavy category amounts first. And it's like, I'll take, you know, raccoons for 500.
Starting point is 01:35:12 And then he'll go, okay, cool. Now I'll take sugary soda for 500. And then just builds all that. And then he risks it all in the daily double early. Because he has some math in his head where he's like, this is the best, I don't know. It's working. And his strategy is he goes, he skips, he starts in one column and he just goes across the board. He doesn't go up one.
Starting point is 01:35:30 call him like a lot of contestants do. You find one you like and you stay in that category because he jumps around thinking that's a better chance to find the daily double. Yeah. It's awesome. He's a sports better. And he has no emotion. He just sits there and he does no emotion, no smile, no happy, no anything. That's how I do when I play Win Bobby's money. It's true. No, you talk trash. I zone in. Not when he's playing it though. No, when I'm playing.
Starting point is 01:35:50 Oh. I go to one place. Yeah. Dezone. That's it. Some people Amy were saying that maybe T.J. from Brothers Osborne cleaned the death off your Oh, maybe. Because Amy's neighbor is TJ from Brothers Osborne. Because honestly, he sees it every day too.
Starting point is 01:36:07 I mean, he probably got tired of it. I probably wrote it. If Brothers Osborne have a new song called Death coming out soon, we know it was all promotional stunt. Yeah, true. He gave your son. What did he give your son? Like a washcloth?
Starting point is 01:36:17 Oh, yeah, a long time ago. He was outside washing his car, and, you know, Stevenson's really inquisitive and went over and was like, what are you doing? Watching new cars. So there's these special little washcloth things, and he gave Stevenson his own. so that he could clean his bike.
Starting point is 01:36:32 And now Stevenson wants to watch cars for money. Yeah, for money. He's offering it to people in our neighborhood. And he thinks because he has... What's your charging? I'll drive over there. I don't know that he has a price yet, but he said something to be about $5. Well... The whole car.
Starting point is 01:36:44 I'm in. I'm in. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. A 16-year-old high school juniors credited with saving his mom's life. She goes into cardiac arrest while she was granted to watch him wrestle. in a wrestling match.
Starting point is 01:37:03 Enzo Bruce performs CPR on his mom. Wow. All the emotions, there must be performing CPR on your mom. Yeah. Trying to keep her alive. Also, putting your mouth on your mom's mouth.
Starting point is 01:37:17 Which is, which... Yeah, but you're not even thinking that when you're trying to say for life. Are you sure? It's after the fact. After the fact, I think you're like, oh my gosh, I just kissed my mom. I'm about to kiss my mom.
Starting point is 01:37:25 Right. Or is it? I'm about to kiss my mom. It's like, here goes nothing. Yeah. Enzo performed heart compressions to the song Staying Alive, which we learned in the office.
Starting point is 01:37:34 Love it. Uh, uh, uh, uh, staying alive, staying alive. And did all of mouth to mouth staying alive. But you can also do Baby Shark. That's another song that you can. Me, that's probably what I'd do. And me, if you ever need help, I'd be like, all right, boys, gather around. Baby Shark do, do, do, do.
Starting point is 01:37:51 And I'd pump your chest. Just like that. Yeah. So after saving his mom's life, he went and wrestled. And wrestled five national team events. Just regular day? Hey. Kiss mom. Go wrestle.
Starting point is 01:38:07 Kiss mom. Yeah, listen, she survived so we can make that joke. It would be kind of gross, though, to kiss your mom like that, huh? Absolutely. But you saved her life, this is okay. Yeah. Yeah. I would do it to my dad in two seconds. That's weird. I wouldn't even think.
Starting point is 01:38:23 You wouldn't even give it five, though, just to think. No. Are you kidding? Are you sure he's okay? Like, dad, last chance. You're not messing with me, right? chance, dad. Snap out of it. Okay. It would be weirder, I think, for like, us if we had to do it.
Starting point is 01:38:34 To each other? Yeah. Again? All right, here. That was tell me something good. Mr. Bobby Bones. You see where Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus a Maserati? A real one?
Starting point is 01:39:01 Yeah, and he post-mated him one, because you can postmate cars. Did you order it on your phone? I guess he's made so much money with Old Town Road. What? No. Uh-huh. Like to buy a Maserati and give it to someone else? a little here.
Starting point is 01:39:14 I got you something. I got you something. No, no. I got you something. Wait a minute. There's no way. It's yours. Hotel Road number one, seven weeks.
Starting point is 01:39:23 Hey, the seven weeks, man. Wow, man. Are you kidding me? Yeah. Are you serious, man? Whoa. We may not come back, man.
Starting point is 01:39:34 Woo! Let's take it out for a ride. Holy smokes, man. Yeah, Lona, like my belly, Ray Cyrus, a Mazur. Like, we're really? the wrong business.
Starting point is 01:39:45 No, we're in the right business. We're just not good enough in that business. Seven weeks are number one. I say it all the time. People working in radio are doing a disservice to themselves. Not even listeners by not playing this song. It's so good. Yes, people want to hear it.
Starting point is 01:39:59 Aside from what you feel is country what isn't, there have been two misses in country radio. This song, which we didn't miss on it, and shallow. Those two songs might get to play by country radio, it's just you're hurt. By you sticking to whatever you think are the rules, you've actually hurt yourself because you're not getting better ratings because of it. What the whole game is.
Starting point is 01:40:18 Don't give me started. I have been started. You know what? I've been started. Yeah, just keep going. It's fine. Actually, I've never stopped. And shallow am that song.
Starting point is 01:40:25 Those are excellent examples because they're totally opposite ends of each other, but totally what people want to consume. I just want to give listeners the best experience while they listen to this show and to country radio. Nobody loves country music more than me. Nobody. I checked yesterday. Nobody. I looked at the whole thing.
Starting point is 01:40:42 You checked with everyone? Nobody. He looked at all the data. Nobody. Like I'm, and I just want to give our listeners the best experience. So, congratulations to Lil Nas X. He just signed to deal with Wrangler. Do you see that?
Starting point is 01:40:57 Oh, really? Rangler on his booty. Oh, what about his deal with the cowboy hats from Gucci? I don't know the Gucci signed him yet. And what about Lean on his bladder. What does that mean? Lean is a drink. Drink.
Starting point is 01:41:08 Lean is when you take like cough syrup, like the hardcore stuff. Purple Cizura? Drink. I thought Lean was an actual brand of a drink. Check it out. I don't think so, but from where I come from... I thought he had a medical disorder in his blood. Like it leaned?
Starting point is 01:41:22 I don't know. No. I guess I need to dissect all the lyrics because there's some I'm still confused on. You're right. Purple drink. Lean. Yeah, and what it is, it's because I get really bad cough sometime and I can't come on the show and not talk without drinking... Not lean.
Starting point is 01:41:38 I'm like... You drink lean? Because it suppresses it so hard. It also makes you a bit loopy, and that's where it comes from. Amy, check out. I have some of that. Check out the Urban Dictionary of Lean. Oh, great.
Starting point is 01:41:48 Don't read it. Just check it out. Oh, is it bad. It's codeine and Sprite. Codeine is what it is. That's what it is. Why do you say don't read it? Just because there's more to it.
Starting point is 01:41:58 Oh, there's always more to Urban Dictionary. Yes, there is. Anyway, good for... Oh, my gosh. Let's there's hate when you guys keep secrets. Xing that out. Well, they have computers. Yeah, they can Google, but don't.
Starting point is 01:42:12 They have computers. My favorite is yesterday I got on my Instagram live, and Eddie and I were trying to figure out what the song was on my Instagram live. And Amy starts yelling at the people on the internet. Yeah. Amy walks in with the most non-eco-friendly thing in her hand. I know. It was awful. I felt awful, and I felt judged right away.
Starting point is 01:42:29 She has a plastic cup inside of a styrofoam cup with like... A plastic straw. With like nine straws. Right, right. And all she does is she sees she's on my Instast story live and just starts yelling at the internet. You know who you are. Do not judge me. And I'm like, Dave said nothing to you, Amy.
Starting point is 01:42:42 set of thing. They were just loving. Yeah, like, I got the, our office had the styrofoam cup. I know I should not use it and boycott it and that way maybe they'll get rid of it. But yes, I had the plastic cup and the plastic straw and I already feel bad enough about it. So I don't need you to remind me about. No, no, they do. They do. My people don't. Okay. Yeah. Well, there are people, but there is that one person. Cheryl in Alabama, hi? Cheryl in Alabama, are you here? Are you on the phone? Oh, hold on, hold on. I'm sorry. We're working out of a new studio. I apologize. Cheryl, are you there now? I am.
Starting point is 01:43:13 Thank you. What would you like to say? Well, I sent a text. I have just been going crazy listening to you with these contests last week and this week, especially started last week with the guy who called in, and he had the right answer, and then Amy picked another answer over his suggestion, and he's still lost because of legal.
Starting point is 01:43:31 And I'm just thinking if you watch like Jimmy Fallon at night and some of the other shows, the answer to that is to avoid legal is give everybody a prize. I don't subscribe to that. I don't subscribe to that. I think, listen, kindergarteners through adults, we got to stop giving people prizes if they're in a game to win a prize and they don't win the prize. I think that's just bad for culture. We can't be given participation. No, I totally agree.
Starting point is 01:43:53 No, I'm just kidding. Go ahead. Well, I totally agree with on that philosophy. But last week, he really won. It's just Amy overruled him. And so that's where it started. But then I thought, well, this week, I mean, the guy did pretty good. And you know, you did I beat him, though, yes or no.
Starting point is 01:44:08 Legal won't let me. Legal won't let me. I really want to. Okay. the answer is you really don't want to. No, that's not true. Because you don't agree with so. Cheryl, you stop for a second.
Starting point is 01:44:17 This is what happened. I used to give prizes to everybody, even if they lost. And then we'd have a big prize, like a trip. And someone would lose and I couldn't give them the prize? And we'd give everybody else to prize. And legal calls me and he goes, hey, if you play a game where there's a prize, you have to give it to the winner and not give it to the loser. And so that's how the games work now, much like life.
Starting point is 01:44:38 If you go and you succeed and you get rewarded. If you don't work harder next time, you know what I mean, Cheryl? Would you like a prize, though? Would you like a prize? No, no. I didn't even really want to, I didn't think I would express myself correctly on the phone. So I did, that's why I sent a text and I didn't call you directly. But listen, last week, can you at least help that guy out?
Starting point is 01:44:56 Because he really did win. I don't remember the game you're talking about. Amy? It wasn't so much that I over, yeah, it wasn't so much that I overruled him. It's just that it was in my control from the whole time. They were trying to guess what was wrong on my eye. Yeah, he said he thought it was whatever he had, Stai, and I thought a spider bit him. Cheryl, let me say this.
Starting point is 01:45:19 You know that I really appreciate you talking to me, right? Like I'm giving you a hard time. Right? Like me and you, Buds for Life. I do. Okay. That being said, you are all in fun. You are so wrong.
Starting point is 01:45:29 It's all right. And fun. Hey, thank you for the... And I do agree with you. I do agree with you. I don't think everyone should get something just because. But that kind of started me burning last week where the gentle. really, he had the right answer, and it was like, oh, man, legal won't let me.
Starting point is 01:45:44 I just thought, well, sometimes you can do what's right, not, you know, but I understand your viewpoint. What do you think about Old Town Road, country song or not? Well, it's country when you have the one, the version you just played today, and maybe Billy Ray Cyrus, but the original one, I didn't think it sounded too country, but who are we to judge? If you want to call yourself country, call yourself country. Wow, look at Cheryl and I agree on what, the, they're like 50-50 so far. so far she wants me to give prizes to everybody and then now she well no what no not exactly
Starting point is 01:46:14 i kind of agree with you on the prizes i just the whole it just seemed like you were just saying legal won't let me and so they won't making your own decision do you know i got fined one million dollars one time Cheryl no i did not know that yeah so i don't mess illegal anymore like i there's only been a few people in radio history have been fined one million dollars i'm one of them okay oh right so you won me over okay you've won me over today Cheryl. You're the winner. Can I send you something no for being a great caller?
Starting point is 01:46:42 No, you do not need to send anything at all. I guess $10,000 won't be yours. All right. All right, Cheryl, thank you. All right, you're welcome. Bye-bye. See, she texted that, and I wanted to put her on. Let her say her piece.
Starting point is 01:46:54 Yeah. Good caller. Amy's clapping alone for her. Oh, there we go. She was good. Thank you. I like people that have strong opinions. I do, too.
Starting point is 01:47:02 Hey, Shane. Hey, Baldwin. You're in North Carolina? Where are you at, North Carolina? I'm in Bloomberg, man All right, go for it. What do you want to say? I just want to say, every day for the past probably 10 years,
Starting point is 01:47:15 and I love it. And also the songs that you and Eddie come up with, I love those as well. Like, what you want? What's your favorite raging idiot song? I'd say I bought a Jeep. Oh, you like that one. That's an interesting. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 01:47:28 That is an interesting. Okay, I think, you'll be played that? Is that a request? Instant request? Yeah, if you will. All right, you got it, bud. Thank you for calling. Thank you, man. All right, see.
Starting point is 01:47:36 There's Shane in North Carolina. Let me say this, that there are stations that are just playing these songs randomly, and I'm very grateful because we wrote these songs as The Raging Idiots, just to do a little comedy record. I looked yesterday, and there are stations all over the country playing these songs. You mean they're playing them like different times a day? Yeah, not even us playing them. Really?
Starting point is 01:47:53 Mm-hmm. So I got a shout out to a lot of these. And you call and request it if you want. But like Atlanta and Pittsburgh and that's it. No, I'm just going to go out. There are there. Boise, Idaho. That's still awesome.
Starting point is 01:48:05 Let me go over to Katie and Texas. real quick. Katie in Texas, you're on the show. How are you, Katie? Hi, I'm great. Thank you for calling. What are you? What do you want to say? I just wanted to tell you how super excited I am that you were coming to San Antonio. I have been waiting for years for this,
Starting point is 01:48:21 and we are so excited about it. Well, thank you very much. We are excited to get back on the road. If people want to come watch us, Chicago, Denver, San Antonio, Raging Idiots.com. How long have you been listening to the show? Oh, my gosh. Probably close to 10 years. Really long time since I was in San Marcos and you guys are in Austin. Look at you.
Starting point is 01:48:38 Well, thank you very much, Katie. Yeah. Thank you for the call. Oh, awesome. Y'all have a great day. You too. See you later. Hey, Shantelle in Oklahoma.
Starting point is 01:48:46 Hi. Hey, what's happening with you? Watching the clouds rolling. Mm. Watching, what song is that? It sounds like Doc of the Bay. Oh, yeah. Sitting in the morning sun.
Starting point is 01:48:59 I've been sitting when the evening's done. Watching the clouds rolling. Yeah, go ahead. It's not. It's way. It's, well. Watching, Oh, are you sure?
Starting point is 01:49:07 It's tied. And watch it roll away again. That's it, Amy. Do, do, do, do. But, I mean, is that really what she's doing? She's watching the clouds rolling. It's probably going to storm. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:49:18 Right? Chantelle? Yeah. Okay, what do you want to do? We've been getting some pretty good all the storms here. Yeah, I feel you. What's going on? What can I do for you?
Starting point is 01:49:27 I just wanted to tell you guys that I listen to you all every morning when I take my husband to work and my nephew to school, and I love you guys. Oh, thanks. I hope that when you drive to work, and I know it's kind of a beast to sit in traffic, that we can give you a little bit of, you know, that kind of feeling like, thank goodness, something's going on. Oh, y'all make my morning every day. Appreciate that. Well, you know what our job is, Amy?
Starting point is 01:49:49 I've told you this many times. Our job is to be their friend? To companionship. Yeah. That's right. And y'all are our friends. Yeah. Chantelle, thank you.
Starting point is 01:49:58 Thank you. All right, bye-bye. I'm a big believer in shoot your shot. That means you have one opportunity to go for it, even if it's embarrassing, and you miss it. Who cares? Shoot your shot. And I say that, and I read the story here. Baltimore Ravens tied in Hayden Hurst tweets out a search for a gorgeous tall brunette
Starting point is 01:50:17 he saw on a flight who walked away way too fast for him to get a number. Oh, wow. That's his shot. Like, he didn't get the ride-on shots. He was like, all right, real quick, I need to put this out there. And so he does.
Starting point is 01:50:28 And as far as I know, they haven't found each other right. He's the founder. He wrote, to the gorgeous tall brunette on my flight to Baltimore. You walk incredibly fast, and I couldn't catch up, but here's hoping you have Twitter. and then he wrote with the hashtag The One That Got Away.
Starting point is 01:50:43 Wow. Oh, and you know what? The Tampa Bay Bucks quarterback Nick Fitzgerald wrote Shoot or shoot. I respect that. Because it's embarrassing. Listen, it is it kind of embarrassing, yes. But that's okay.
Starting point is 01:50:53 You got to... I'm okay. I'm embarrassed all the time and stuff I say on this show. I'm actually... I come in here and humiliate myself sometimes because I think people relate. And we all are a bit humiliated underneath this little coat of skin and bones.
Starting point is 01:51:06 Mm-hmm. So, I know. She hasn't responded yet, but good luck to him. Yeah. Hopefully we have a good update on that. What's the latest on you and that girl that you shoot or shot with? Oh, let me turn this down. That you texted.
Starting point is 01:51:20 I'm glad you asked. I was going to play a song, but now I shall stop the song. What's it called? Shoot or shoot or shot. You shot. What, Eddie? Is it called shoot your shot? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:51:28 It's like shoot a shot. Yeah. It sounds weird when you say like, what's up with that girl that you shot your shot? What's up with that girl that you took a shot on? That's on her. This is what happened. If I'm just laying it out real quick. Just the recap.
Starting point is 01:51:40 Like before the Game of Thrones episode, they run through the recap. Oh, right. I have a friend who works at Bumble. She said, let me hook you up with somebody. I said, okay, go for it. She said, here's this girl.
Starting point is 01:51:51 I said, cool. I texted her. We put her in a three-way text. She was like, I'll introduce you guys. We went to a side text. We texted a little bit. And then I never heard back from her. I texted her.
Starting point is 01:52:02 Like air ball. Hey. See, this is not a safe show. All I want to do is share my guts. She's just doing. Shoot your shot. I'm just trying to commentate. It's fine.
Starting point is 01:52:11 So I text her and I'm like the next day, nothing. And I go, oh, I just got totally ghosted. And I'm like, all right, well, that happens to people. And so I wait another day, nothing. So then I'm asking Amy, I'm like, should I send a second text back? Do we say that on the air? We didn't get to this part in the year, did we? Don't remember.
Starting point is 01:52:30 And so I actually wrote a pretty funny one. Do you want to hear it? It's funny, guys. I'm very proud. Well, because you can't just go, do you miss my last text? Yeah, it's cute. creative. It's cute and funny to where a girl will appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:52:42 So, this girl had a birthday. And I said, hey, her birthday was awesome and she'd been traveling. Just for context. This is the first Texas center. Said, hey, oh, birthday was awesome. Did you have a big party or just take a big nap after traveling? That was it.
Starting point is 01:52:55 That's funny. Isn't that funny? Yeah. That wasn't the real one. It gets better. But that was the one where she never responded. Okay. So you're still napping.
Starting point is 01:53:03 Yeah. Well, so that was like Saturday. So I didn't hear anything Saturday And I'd sit up in the morning Didn't hear anything Saturday Didn't hear anything for half a Monday And I'm like well That's a long time
Starting point is 01:53:15 I'll just move on And I'm used to being rejected You know what? The end But Amy's like You should send her other text Because sometimes I miss text Yeah I do
Starting point is 01:53:24 So I wrote this And I did the finger arrow pointing up So it's the text up You see the text above And I wrote Hey a finger arrow point up I go I know this is a tough question
Starting point is 01:53:34 And I'm willing to give you a couple more days to answer it pressure. There we go. That's good. I thought it was kind of funny. Right. It was. So, she responded. See? Thank goodness. Yeah. And she goes, you know, whatever, I'm sorry for the late response. Whatever, blah, blah, blah. So then I
Starting point is 01:53:50 responded again and then nothing. What is happening? Another day. Oh, wait, I didn't see your response. Yeah. Yeah. So. Do you want me to see it or no? I don't care. Don't read it. It will reveal who she is. Oh, yeah? Did you make another joke, though?
Starting point is 01:54:06 Of course. That's all I do. But yeah, so I guess I'm done. Shoot a shot. No, when. I mean, she's not really playing the game. No. You get her plenty of time. What do you think about that? There's still time for her to reply. No, don't worry. If someone sends me a text, like an hour. You were like nice, too. You're like, oh. Of course I'm nice. I'm the nicest guy I know.
Starting point is 01:54:27 That you know, yes. But here's the thing. I went over to Morgan number two. We were hanging out yesterday. And I was like, should I text this girl back? And she's like, that's up. She goes, I don't know. She goes, it's tough because if she's not texting back quickly, she's not interested. That's what you would think automatically. As I said it at 8 p.m. last night.
Starting point is 01:54:46 They got nothing back. That's why I still think there's time. I'm checking out. Because we don't know where she is. I'm checking out. So without too many details, the first response, was she busy or what was that? Sick. Sick?
Starting point is 01:54:59 Okay, that's all right. Is she still sick? She's sick and ditched her phone for three days. When I'm sick, I'm only on my phone. Because the male people don't talk to me It's swine flu or something. Sick, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:10 So that being said, and I respect everyone's privacy, so I'm like... Yeah, right, right. I have moved on with my life from this. That's tough, man. I just have my... I live a different life. How do you deal with all the rejection? Like...
Starting point is 01:55:23 Over my life? Yeah. You just develop a shell. It's like a callus. It's like, if you get punched long enough in one spot, it starts to get hard. It's not healthy to have those calluses, though. My whole body's a callus. My heart's a callus.
Starting point is 01:55:34 You know, I know. My body's a callous. But I felt you were just healing from all those calluses. I don't even understand why this happens. Am I not desirable? Huh? Amy? Wait.
Starting point is 01:55:44 Amy, I don't know. No. Listen, at this point in my life, I'm, no, hold on. Okay, I'm going to let you cry for a second. No, no. I'm pretty good looking. Not the greatest, but I'm pretty good looking. You're good.
Starting point is 01:55:55 And girls have so much more depth than guys, because we're idiots. But girls can take a guy that's pretty good looking, and if they have a good personality, really elevate them. I've counted on that. And I'm pretty good looking. Got a good job Funny What more do you want for me That's all
Starting point is 01:56:12 Maybe it's the calluses You don't even get to them You're right She doesn't even know how warped I am You're right She hasn't gotten in there yet It's pretty warped Unless she did some research
Starting point is 01:56:23 You can't research hard eight You can't Just run into it That's all What would you like to say I was just going to say Like don't act like Love has never presented itself to you
Starting point is 01:56:35 You've been loved before. You've had girls that have shown you love and wanted to be with you, and you have allowed it to be in your life for a while. I know you've grown. I've been growing. Yes. You can't get those back, Amy. All the girls I've loved before. It's Willie.
Starting point is 01:56:54 I know who this. I know who this. I celebrate this. We are glad they came along to all the girls with love. It's nice. New Bobby. Thank you. I've been trying. I've really put myself up there dating.
Starting point is 01:57:09 So what you need is the opportunity to show the new Bobby. Yeah. You haven't yet been given. I like to show more of just the new Bobby. Yeah, right. Okay. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:57:20 I just, I'm confused. I really am confused. I don't know what it is about me that just can't make it work. I get texted back anymore. Sick. Maybe my phone's broke. Should I text me back? I think my phone's broke.
Starting point is 01:57:33 I just got a new phone. Try it again. Sorry, have you tried to text me? Because they're not coming through. It's been three days. She'll definitely be like, oh, my, she'll be texting her friend at Bumble being like, why did you get me the guy? I really have only been played it cool and been.
Starting point is 01:57:50 I really have, like, I don't know. Maybe I'm, I don't know. Because if you don't, I don't know, I have nothing. If you don't kind of like the nerdy guy, nerdy-looking guy, it's not for you. You know? Yeah. You're not Go ahead
Starting point is 01:58:05 Don't be hard on yourself She'll come along Maybe it's not her Oh it's always me It's always me No She's there She's out there
Starting point is 01:58:17 Oh I thought you made this one girl specifically No I don't really know about her I don't know She's dead to you? Yeah We need to move on Wow alright All right
Starting point is 01:58:25 All right We're moving now It's kid in Pennsylvania 12 years old Police got him And now for like stealing cars robbing a bank.
Starting point is 01:58:35 Because he gave a kid a purple nerple. Do you have any purple nerples? No. It's where, do you know what the purple nerple is, lunchbox? Yeah, well, we'd call it something else. A TT. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:45 Oh, yes, TT. Twisters. The Tudy twister. The word's not tootie. Yeah, so you're giving purple nurple and the police were called. And a citation was given to the boy who performed the act. Oh, come on. They would remind parents teach their kids not to give purple nerples.
Starting point is 01:59:01 I mean, it is violence, right? Stop. Police have other things to do than worry about someone giving them a little TT. Police on the scene. You know what I mean? You know what song that's from?
Starting point is 01:59:10 No. Come on. That's Beastie Boys. No. Oh, I don't know. Run DMC. Police on the scene. Will Smith?
Starting point is 01:59:17 No. DuPock. NWA. Vanella ice. Oh. Sorry. I still didn't know that. Dang, that was a deep track, dude.
Starting point is 01:59:26 From Vanilla Ice. No. It's a part of Ice Ice Ice, baby. Yeah. Get out. Look it up. It must be past the minute and a half mark. You're so deep singing it.
Starting point is 01:59:36 You don't even hear the rest of the words. Look it up and see if that's part of it. All right, we are done today. Amy, talk about your day. What's going on? I'm sitting down with Eddie to talk about foster care. So that'll be fun. We had to postpone our interview last week because of his eye.
Starting point is 01:59:49 Is your eye better? What do you think? No, what are you talking about? Oh, that's better? It's my right eye. I mean, it still looks a little. We're kidding. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:59:59 You all are terrible. You're like, great. What are you going on? Abby Anderson doing a Bobbycast today, which, by the way, coming up on the next few episodes of the Bobbycast, Abby Anderson, Dustin Lynch, and Morgan Evans. Oh, cool. Those are hour-long conversations. But Abby Anderson today, I have to, I'm right. I don't know if I should say, but I'm writing something for someone's book.

Starting point is 02:00:38 I was going to write it last night, but I had one too many Charlie temples and I didn't feel like I was in the right spot after a brand-raised birthday party. But I'm going to do that tonight. Now I'm trying to think of who it is. Take one guess. John Mayer.
