Well, a segment we didn't get to today that I want to just go ahead and do and see if you guys can name it. It's called What's That Sound?
Starting point is 00:03:00 Okay. I'm going to play this for you. Ready? Ready? See if you can name this sound. Go ahead. All right. I'm going to give you choices here.
Starting point is 00:03:16 What's that sound? Is that a very competitive guy trying to win a corn on the cow eating contest? Oh. Is it a wife who filmed her husband eating from a box of cereal in his sleep? Oh. Or a ground hog furiously nibbling on a cucumber. All right, here it is. What's that sound? A competitive guy eating corn on the cob.
Starting point is 00:03:42 A wife who filmed her husband eating from a box of cereal in his sleep or a ground dog furiously nibbling a cucumber. Amy? The second one, the wife and the cereal. The husband? Yeah. Lunchbox? I went with the cereal also.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I thought I heard a plastic bag in there. Eddie? Sleeping husband eating cereal and his sleep. All three of you have picked sleeping husband and cereal. I feel like cucumbers aren't that loud. Okay, let's hear one more time, Ramundo. The answer is, A family posted a camera in their garden to see who was stealing their vegetables.
Starting point is 00:04:16 When they checked it out, they saw a groundhog staring at the camera while grubbing on this cucumber right here. Oh, that's so cute. You have a groundhog, Morgan, number two, right? Yeah, I do. It's all the time in your yard. Yeah, he hangs out back there. He dug a little hole. This groundhog in this video is literally looking right in the camera, like six inches away from it, just eating the vegetable.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Like, he knows what he's doing. Yeah, like, what's up? You're watching me. Pretty funny. Didn't get to that today. I'm in Chicago, so it's hard for me to do some of these sound games. So did that. What else was I going to do today?
Starting point is 00:04:49 That didn't get to. Oh, I was going to have Eddie recommend this show. I don't know what this show is. Okay, so I guess I had it all wrong. I thought it was one that Morgan No. 2 had talked about about a month ago, but this is the one that I found on Amazon Prime called Modern Love. You haven't seen it? Never heard of it.
Starting point is 00:05:06 No. It's a series of these little, like, 45-minute love stories. True or fiction? All true. It comes from the New York Times. Is it an English? Yes, it's in English. But there was a column in the New York Times called Modern Love, and they took these little
Starting point is 00:05:20 stories of real people that sent stuff in, and they made little movies about them. And Bones, I feel like if you watch this, you're going to have a better understanding of how you're going to fall in love. Because it really just shows different ways that people fell in love or fell out of love, but in ways that I didn't even think about. Like some ladies, one of them, a woman's battling bipolar, and she just can't find love because people don't understand her and she can't explain to them that she has bipolar.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Crazy. I'm going to tell you guys this. I don't even think that falling in love is a real thing. Oh. That's how. Have you said that to your therapist? I'm going to this week. Yikes.
Starting point is 00:05:56 I can't wait to see. I'm curious to see what she says. I think it's just something people like, they get, they get fascinated and it works out. Because I've never been there. I don't think it's real. When I watch people get all giddy, I'm like, that goes away. Okay, fine. The falling, have you been in love?
Starting point is 00:06:11 Okay, but as I'm saying, the falling in love, I don't think that's real. Okay, so it's the falling in love. So, like, when you see, you for sure don't believe in love at first sight. No, but I think love at first sight is when people are really attracted each other and then it works out. Right, right, right. Because otherwise you'd have a love first sight with everybody if it works out. I think falling in love, that's just what, in the process of you falling, no, see, that's just the word we use. In the process of you realizing that you are in love with someone, that's the falling in love part.
Starting point is 00:06:40 All right. Yeah, so it's just the terminology is what Amy's saying. Right. You don't like literally fall in love. Bobby's like, I've never fallen. But you feel it, man. Yeah, you feel it in your tummy. You're just like, wow, like I'm in love.
Starting point is 00:06:52 You feel it. You haven't felt that? No. Things change. But you've been in love. I don't know I've been in love. I don't know I've been in love. Whatever that means, I haven't been it.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Because I don't understand what you're talking about. Watch this show. Watch this show. Dude, it's so good. And it's pretty girly. Like, I mean, this is something that I normally wouldn't watch. but it was something my wife and I were looking for something together. What's it called again? Modern?
Starting point is 00:07:13 It's called Modern Love. We loved it. I know. I'm so sad. I'm really not. I'm actually pretty good with myself right now. A good spot. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:21 But I don't believe. There's also an episode about how you're just not even looking for it. Then it happens. But that's stupid. That's kind of the best way to do it, I think, when you're not looking for it. Bobby, you can be look at your, please. How is that stupid? It's stupid.
Starting point is 00:07:35 It's like going, where did you find your keys? The last place I found them. Last place I left them. if you're not looking eventually it's going to hit you or it never does and you still didn't miss out because you weren't looking anyway you're such a little pessimist
Starting point is 00:07:48 I'm so weird I'm 39 and have never experience whatever this crap is you guys are talking about what's it called love love love love love love love I know that you've never said I know that you've never said I love you to someone you've been in a relationship with like that romantically
Starting point is 00:08:04 but gosh I just feel like you have loved them But I think it's different than whatever that's super giddy. Like, oh, I've never been like that. Amy, this could be a thing with his intermittent fasting. You know how he doesn't want to call it that? Maybe he just doesn't want to call it love. You're right. Good point.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Yeah, he's like. I think I have loved people. I'm not doing intermittent fasting. I only eat for eight hours. That's intermittent fasting. I don't fall in love, but I like that person. I'm making up this new plan. You should follow what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:08:32 What you do is you only eat for eight hours. Then you're fasting. You guys can give me a hard time if you want. That's what I get from being vulnerable to take. No, it's okay. Watch the show. That's okay. It's like it for being vulnerable.
Starting point is 00:08:42 I think you'd really like it. I've never just like, my heart has been so... So what? No, no, go ahead. Well, like, it's like a... Just like when you're connecting, you don't feel it. I've had people that I end up caring about a whole lot, but never when it's like a romantic, like...
Starting point is 00:09:01 We're getting warmer. Whatever. Eddie, I'll watch it. Yeah, watch it. Modern love. Modern love. No. I have it written down under my...
Starting point is 00:09:08 I'll take a break from inside I'm not being a pessimist about it all. I do have a therapist appointment today. No, tomorrow. And you're going to tell her tomorrow? I'm going to say, I just don't know about this love thing. Okay. We talk about that anyway a little bit,
Starting point is 00:09:24 but I'm going to say, I don't know about falling in love is real. Amy said that you feel something and you trip. No. Fall, hear your head. She doesn't really like, okay. I have to go, because I have to do it. We're in Chicago.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I have to go do a thing in Chicago. Thank you guys. Here is Thursday show. Appreciate you. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. This is the Bobby Bonds.
Starting point is 00:09:46 Hey, welcome to Thursday's show. Morning Studio. Morning. Glad everybody's here. Let's see what's happening with everybody. Let's go around the room. What's the Haps? Hey.
Starting point is 00:10:00 What's the Hats? Amy, you're up first. Okay, I'm super excited for December 1st because you heard about the new Apple that just got created and is going to be released on December 1st. Wait, they've created a new fruit? Yeah, a new, like, they put bread some apples and they created a new apple. It's called the Cosmic Crisp. They've bred a new apple and you're excited about it?
Starting point is 00:10:24 I'm super pumped. It's all natural. It still is all natural, I think. I mean, they make it. Science. It's not what apples are made for. Oh, my goodness. Listen, these are said to be like the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness.
Starting point is 00:10:39 It's called the Cosmic Crisp. I mean, it's kind of, it's got the honey crisp involved in it, but it's mixed with something else. And they store in the refrigerator longer, and they're supposed to taste amazing. And they are coming out to summer first. For someone that loves the all natural stuff, I don't think that this is a bad thing.
Starting point is 00:10:56 A manipulated fruit does seem against your brand. I think it's croppers, farmers, apple tree growers. Like, I don't think that there's anything weird in here. I'll find out. There's a release date for an apple. All of that's weird. Also, it's supposed to be really pretty.
Starting point is 00:11:10 It's like red, but it has these yellow dots on it, hence the cosmic, because it looks like little stars. Yeah. Well, I'll be waiting out in front of the Apple store, Orchard. Lined up around the block. Hey! Hey, what's the hatch? What's the haps with you? So, Reese Witherspoon also has a bulldog.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Oh, yeah. Around the same age as mine, and she had posted her bulldog liked these Himalayan Gold Yack dog chews. And I was like, I'll try anything with this dog at this point. So I ordered them, and they're these sticks, and they're probably nine inches long, and they're pretty thick. And I was like, well, let's see if he likes them. And usually the stuff that I order, because people recommend it for the dog never works. Usually, even the things that people say to train your dog to do, never works for this dog. But he's pretty into them.
Starting point is 00:11:59 So I was going to pass him along to our listeners. It's called a Himalayan Gold Yak Dog Chew. And they're about six bucks. They don't pay me. This is not an endorsement. maybe they pay Reese Witherspoon and I've been Oh You got got
Starting point is 00:12:13 I'm not sure But they work And in the end that's all the matters So if you have a dog out there One more time for those in the back The Himalayan gold yak Yack dog chews Are what's been working with him
Starting point is 00:12:26 And they're a long chew What's the worst is You go and you buy something And you're like He loves it and he chews it up in about seven minutes And then you I tell you what I do And it's just so mean
Starting point is 00:12:37 But I get those Kong balls And I fill it with peanut butter And I'm like, all right, have that it. And he can't get in it. And he goes crazy for like an hour. If someone did that to me, I would go crazy. If someone's like, all right, there's chicken fried steak inside that Rubik's Cube. Go to town, bro.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I'd be like, what? That would go to town. But I would be so upset. But I do it to him. All right, that's what's up with me? Hey. Hey, what's the hat? Lunchbox was up?
Starting point is 00:13:01 So the other day I told you I had my first parent teacher conference coming up that day. So I went, sat down with the teacher. And she told me my kid is amazing. that he shows empathy. I thought she meant sympathy, but I guess it's something where they can feel for other kids. So like when another kid is tired, my kid will go up and pat him on the back.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Like, oh, I get it. It's okay. And I was like, dang, that was the highlight is that he sees them that they're tired and he has feelings and feels bad for him. I was like, dang, he's an all-star. He's a nice kid. So do those, again, I don't know. I don't have any kids.
Starting point is 00:13:35 When you're one-year-old is in a school and you go up for a parent-teacher conference, Do they just find something great to say about every one-year-old, Eddie? I mean, I would think so, right? I mean, there's not, like, I don't think there's anything bad to say other than... Maybe they cry a lot or... Maybe. But, yeah, I think they just kind of make something up to make the parents feel a little better.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Well, I ask Eddie, because Eddie has four kids, too, that's been through that process already. Correct. So, did you ever have one-year-old parent-titching conference? No, I know. Well, we didn't have daycare. That's the only difference. And Lunchbox, you're not known as the most empathetic person. Do you wonder where he gets that?
Starting point is 00:14:06 I figure from my wife, or I don't even know what... empathy was. I thought it was, like I said, I correct her. I said, you mean sympathy. He's correcting the teacher. And she said, no empathy. And so I looked it up and it's like when you feel others pains or something like that. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Hey. Hey, what's the hat? All right, Eddie, wraps up. So Papa John's now has a pumpkin-shaped pizza, which is kind of cool. I thought it was cool. I saw an article on it a few weeks ago. And it's like jack-a-lantern shaped or whatever. The pepperonies are shaped like a jack-o'-lantern. So I ordered one last night. And it was cool. I didn't tell the kids it was coming.
Starting point is 00:14:40 They opened it up and they're like, hey, look at that. It's a pumpkin-shaped pizza. Fun for them, huh? It tastes just like a regular pizza. Oh, that's so cute. You look at it. Yeah. You know, I was at the airport in San Diego and I'm not a big pumpkin spice guy.
Starting point is 00:14:54 I like it fine, but I don't see it and go, whoa, crazy. But I was at a coffee shop and they had pumpkin pie flavor. And I was like, whoa, crazy. That's right. Same thing. Yeah, probably the same thing. Yeah. And I was so excited about it.
Starting point is 00:15:06 I took a picture with my phone in the middle. circled it on my Instagram story. I was like, whoa, it's crazy. Look at this. I love pumpkin pie season. Yeah, even I fell for the old pumpkin. Yeah, well, good. That's what's the haps say.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Hey, what's the hatch? Here's the Bobby Boneshow podcast, highlight segment of the day. Time now for our draft of scary movies. That's right, friends. Pick your favorite scary movie. And let's see who gets the best team. Now, this is normally the music while we draft. But today, since it's almost Halloween,
Starting point is 00:15:37 and we're picking scary movies, we shall draft over this music here. Oh, man. That's appropriate. So how this works is just a quick reset of what this is. Months ago, as fantasy football teams were starting to be picked,
Starting point is 00:15:51 I thought, what if we do a fantasy draft of things? We would pick, like, colors or animals. And it's turned into this, and the person that has 10 victories first wins the championship belt. Amy, you have the first pick. The category is scary movies, And so your first pick in the scary movie draft is what movie?
Starting point is 00:16:12 Silence of the Lambs. Wow, that's a solid pick. Yeah. That's so good. I didn't even have it on my list and I'm very disappointed at myself. Scratch that one out. Wow. Great first pick.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Amy takes Silence of the Lambs first overall. I feel like I have to talk like this now because the music. Yeah, I know. Hey, Ray, let's go back to the other music until, yeah, thank you. That's my bad. Now I'm not scared anymore. Yeah, thanks. Lunchbox with the second pick in the first round.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Oh, man. This one, everybody, I mean, they were scared to go outside after they watched this movie. The Blair Witch Project. That's a good one. Scary movies. Eddie, do you watch them? No, I don't watch scary movies at all. That's the problem.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Yeah. Eddie? So I'm going to go with a familiar one. Ray, can you hit that music again? Wait, was this one do you dictate the music here? Halloween. That's a good one. I'm taking Halloween.
Starting point is 00:17:09 And this is the theme to Halloween, right? I think so. I don't even know. I think it is. And Michael Myers is the guy? That's really good. All right. That's my pick Halloween.
Starting point is 00:17:17 I don't know, dude. I don't even know what happens in these movies. I have no idea. Ramundo, your pick in the first round. I'm going six cents. Oh. Good one. Is that I see dead people?
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yes. I watched it. Is that a scary movie? Yes. I liked it. I think it was that scary. It's a different kind of scary than like Halloween. But yeah, it is definitely scary.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Because Halloween is scary, right? It's like if we were just taking a movie that scared us, I'll go it knocked up. That's a very scary movie. That's a funny, scary scenario. All right. With my first round pick, I'm going to go with a classic,
Starting point is 00:17:57 I'm going to go with Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddie Krueger. Just because of his popular. And I think about dream, that's the dream movie, right? When something happens to me in my dreams, it sucks. and I can't get out. Maybe that...
Starting point is 00:18:12 I'll do a PTSD a little bit too. But I'm gonna do with that one. All right. So you're a nightmare on Elm Street? Yeah. Okay. I got marked that out. So Silence of the Lambs, Blair Witch Project,
Starting point is 00:18:21 Halloween, the Sixth Sense and Nightmare on Elm Street were all the first picked. Uh-huh. All right, it's my turn. Now, since I went last in the first round, I go first in the second round. I'm gonna go with the Exorcist.
Starting point is 00:18:36 Dang it. It's good one, Bones. It's good. Scratch it out. Yeah. All right. Stuff freaks me out. I picked the movies that I don't want to see the most.
Starting point is 00:18:44 Yeah, man. I don't like any of these movies. Ray Mundo. Texas Chainsaw Massacre. That's based on a true story, too. One time. Is that true? This girl I was dating.
Starting point is 00:18:55 I don't think it is. Let's go to a movie. I was like, okay. We go Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I had a movie. I jumped like a little baby the whole time. It was funny. That was terrible. Me.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Eddie. All right. I'm going to go with another classic. Ray hit the, no, I'm just kidding. Friday of the 3. 13th. Jason. Hockey mask. That's chainsaw. Yeah, he's scary. He's scary. Lunchbox? This is a classic. And if you've never seen this, watch it tonight and you won't sleep.
Starting point is 00:19:26 It's called The Shining. Who, who's in that? Jack Nicholson. That's an older one. Oh, it's good. Amy? Okay. In that theme, I'll stick with an older one. And I'll go with Pulture Guys. What's that about? Drew Barrymore's in it into the TV. I don't know. I should remember as a kid. Barrymore. It's not? No. Who was it?
Starting point is 00:19:44 It's another girl, little girl. Why do I think it was Drew Barrymore? Oh, no. Like my whole life. Oh, she's an E.T. Yeah. I thought she was an E.T. and Polter guys.
Starting point is 00:19:52 Both together. Either way, though, I just remember as a kid, like my sister and I, being so scared of culture guys. I was reading the story about it was written two guys. I think the New York Post had it. Said if you want to get lucky, watch a scary movie with your girl. You see that story, Mike? Because she'll jump on you.
Starting point is 00:20:09 Is that really what? It was like some sort of like hormone thing. Yeah. They get scared and they need a reason to get close to you. Oh. I'm not too good for that. Do it. Except I get really scared.
Starting point is 00:20:21 Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. The girl that acted in poltergeist, she died? Why are you breathing? Did she get old? Like, what happened? She died when she was only 12.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Oh, wow. Wow. Are you selling your movie right now? Did she really, are you making it? No, she really did. But now what? From the exorcists, they all died the day after the movie. Really?
Starting point is 00:20:42 They all died immediately. It's Steven Spielberg. Oh, wow. Okay. All right, after two rounds, Amy has Silence of the Lambs and Poltergeist. Yeah. Lunchbox has the Blair Witch Project and the Shining.
Starting point is 00:20:53 Eddie has Halloween on Friday 13th. Ray Mundo has the Sixth Sense in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And I have Nightmare in Elm Street and the Exorcist. One more round to go. If you're listening, why isn't Morgan number two playing? It is because... I lost.
Starting point is 00:21:09 She was last last time. Amy, your last pick. Okay. So the first one. two were sort of like classic scary. So I'm going to go a little bit newer. And this one freaked me out when I saw it in the theaters. The ring.
Starting point is 00:21:20 Oh, yeah. That one scares people. When she climbs out of the TV. Lunchbox. Oh, man. I have the Blair Witch, the shining. Golly. And I'm going to go with paranormal activity.
Starting point is 00:21:36 What's that? It's like where there's, you're looking on the camera and this ghost just is like, it's one of those that try to get you thinking of drill again? Yes. For a while? Yes. It's like a baby cam looking in the room and you're like, what in the world?
Starting point is 00:21:48 That freak people out. Eddie? I'm going to go. You know what? I kind of saw this a little bit of this and then it scared me so I stopped watching it. But it was really, really good. Get out. Yeah, it's good.
Starting point is 00:22:02 That's a good one. Yeah, it's a really good movie. It's super new. Yeah. All right. Ramundo? Close it out with Saw. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:22:10 I didn't think about Saw. Oh, me neither. That's so good. That's such a good one, and there's so many. Mm-hmm. Yeah! Great third-round pick. It's good.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Wow. Think about Saw. All right, I'm the only one left. I have Nightmare and Elm Street and The Exorcist. There's others out there. No crap. There's a lot of movies. Really, right.
Starting point is 00:22:28 There's other scary movies? I'm going between it or the clown. God, it's a good one. A Quiet Place, which was so good. John Krasinski. What's that one about? When they couldn't talk or they got eaten by the monsters. Oh, I never saw that.
Starting point is 00:22:43 And, like, you couldn't talk. Yeah, they couldn't talk. But, Amy, you would die in like one second. She'd be the first to go over today. I'm like, bye. Yeah. You know, scream? That's funny, wasn't it?
Starting point is 00:22:57 Okay, but so it's still a scary movie. No, Scream was scary because you were, you didn't know where. I'm thinking a scary movie. Oh, yeah. Scary movie was a parody of speaking. Okay, got it. The scariest movie to me is 28 days later. It's about a virus.
Starting point is 00:23:10 The virus one. I'm going to go with It's a great choice. It's a big brand to choose from. I'm gonna go with it. Okay, put these up at Bobbybones.com. Amy, read your picks. My picks are Silence of the Lambs,

Starting point is 00:28:14 The Bobby Bones Show. Big three stories. Over to Ramundo with the news here on Thursday morning. Ramundo, what you got? In sports of Washington Nationals won game two of the World Series 12 to 3, the next games tomorrow night in Washington, D.C. In health news, the FDA is calling for new warning labels to be put on breast implants about scarring, pain,
Starting point is 00:28:34 rupture, and even a rare form of cancer. And finally, TikTok has been seen a rock and ICE's videos on their apps, so they're working on deleting those videos as well as the accounts. The Bobby Bones show. All right. You guys have a lot of questions for me.
Starting point is 00:28:48 I answer them as we open up the mailbag. Bobby's Mailbag. All right, listen closely, Amy. Let's see what we can do here. Hey, Bobby Bones. I went on a date, and the dinner cost the guy $80. Well, I wasn't into him,
Starting point is 00:29:03 so I broke things off with them before we went on a second date. I said, I was really nice. him down easy, but I just didn't see a relationship with him and I didn't see things going any further. He texted me and complained about spending $80. He made it a big deal about it being a lot of money and added that I wasted his time if I wasn't even into him. Now, he wants me to Venmo him $40 of the $80. Should I pay it or is he crazy to even ask that? Christy. Thank you for the email. By the way, Venmo is you can just get on the app and send people money
Starting point is 00:29:39 in case you're not using it. That's how you pay your friends via credit card or whatever. So there you go. I'll take a shot at this first. He has no right. That's the risk you take when you take someone out on a date. If you're going to pay for it, that's it. It's a contract.
Starting point is 00:29:57 It's written. You don't get a refund. You don't get a rebate. You don't get a re-anything. If you are so worried about this early on, dude, you go, hey, why don't we split it? Like, he could have done that. I wouldn't have done that.
Starting point is 00:30:10 But part of dating is you pay for the meal. No, he can't ask you for that. I would just ignore the text. Amy. No, he can't have this preconceived if I don't get a second date, I want half my money back. Or he needs to tell you that early.
Starting point is 00:30:22 Or, yeah, or if he doesn't get a kiss and he wanted a kiss, then you need to pay for dessert. Like, no, he can't pick and choose. He chose to pay for the $80. You don't owe him anything. Lunchbox? If he's going to treat it like that, you're not a transaction.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Listen, if you're brave enough to go on the date and then you want to break it off, be brave enough to pay for it. Like say, hey, we went out as friends because obviously you're not interested. So pay him the $40 and move on with your life. Why should he be responsible? Because that means she just goes out and uses guys for free dinners. Well, no, I don't know that it's a habitual thing where she's doing it often. But I think if I take a girl out, I'm going to pay for the meal.
Starting point is 00:30:59 And if she doesn't want to go out with me again, that's on me. Mm-hmm. that is the standard inside of the dating culture that we live in here in most of Western America. If she knew she wasn't interested, at the end of the day, she should have said, hey, you know what, I'm not interested. Let me pay for half instead of. That's so weird. That's so weird. She probably would have known 10 minutes into it, you probably know.
Starting point is 00:31:20 Right. Morgan number two, you're 26 in dating. How do you feel about this? Absolutely not. Honestly, I would block his number. Right. This is not normal. And if he didn't want to end up paying, you do take that risk.
Starting point is 00:31:32 when you go on a date, then go to drinks. If you don't want to pay for dinner, go to drinks or go to coffee. You don't have to have an $80 dinner. That's a good point, too. Drinks are expensive too. Well, he sounds like a, he's going to ask for half back no matter what, even if it was like, $10. Remember the vodka soda?
Starting point is 00:31:45 Yeah, I'm only need $4.50. Yeah. No. And this, if anything, it just should give you affirmation that you made the right choice that he's not worth it. He's not cool. Don't date him. It's a good point.
Starting point is 00:31:56 And that's a good point about, and I often, not because of the money thing, but because of the time thing, I don't really do. dinner on a first date because I don't want to get stuck with someone for an hour or have them stuck with me for an hour if we're not feeling it. That's why it's like, hey, let's get coffee or let's meet at this place and get a drink. Because you can always jump after a drink or two drinks or a coffee. It's not a problem. Yeah, so ignore him. Morgan number two says block them. Lunchbox says, pay the man. Pay the man. All right. That's the mailbag. And that was Bobby's mailbag. And if you want to send a note to the mailbag, how do they do that, Morgan, number two?
Starting point is 00:32:34 Mailbag at bobby bones.com. It's a Bobby Bones show. So your kids had rock star day at school? Yeah. They got to dress up like whatever they wanted to. And Stasheera went as like her version of Ariana Grande. What do you let her dress like for Ariana? I mean, she just had to go in her closet.
Starting point is 00:32:51 She picked it out. She just told me that she has like these glitter high top boots and a glitter jacket with a unicorn on the back. Like she was just more flashy than she normally would be. Did you get her bunny ears? No, but that would have been such a good idea. Yeah, no, no bunny ears. And so your son? He went as T.J. Osborne from Brothers Osborne.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Because. There's also your next one favorite. Yes, so he had the cowboy hat that T.J. gave him with the feather. And he put on, and he did this all himself. He got a white button down looking really sharp with these cute little gray skinny jeans. And then he probably spent about 10 minutes. trying to get his feet inside those cowboy boots you got him. Like a lot.
Starting point is 00:33:35 He's, yeah, they don't fit. And he's like, but I need them to complete my look. Like, these are perfect. So, and I said, buddy, I don't really know what to tell you, but these are just not going to fit. So he ended up putting on these other little booties. I do agree, like the cowboy boots would have been perfect. But I was like, wow, you've grown.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Like, this is exciting. You've grown. Look at the positive. So I've got to find him some new cowboy boots. I'll get him some new cowboy boots. What size does he wear? Now? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I mean, now I would think maybe he's like a... Just text me. Okay, 13 or 1, however that works. Yeah, I will. There's a 1? Mm-hmm. Like a 1 adult? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:11 Well, no, no, like a 1 kid. But what's 13? 13's where it... So he was like a 12, and then you go 13, and then it goes 1, 2, 3, and like, such year as a 4. Trust me, I know. Learning kid sizes, becoming a mom, like, in the last year and a half, figuring out kids sizes is very difficult. What's funny about that, too, I was going to bring up is that.
Starting point is 00:34:30 it's been almost two years since you adopted them. Yeah. In December, it will be two years. And we got an email from our, I mean, that's even hard for me to believe. I got an email from our agency, which we haven't heard from our adoption agency, really, unless there's like something that needs to be done. And I started to think like, oh, shoot, like, what's wrong? What happened? And then they're like, time for you two year update.
Starting point is 00:34:53 We need a report and photos sent to us by this date. And I was like, wow. I was at the airport the day and I was walking through that spot where we all waited for you guys when you came home with the kids. I think about that most times I walk through there how we were all there
Starting point is 00:35:09 and it was such a big life, like life, a humongous life moment for you but a big life moment for me too because we had been through this publicly and even privately, but, you know, for me, I'd put that up there one of my top life moments that just sitting there waiting for you with your kids
Starting point is 00:35:23 when you guys came across that, you know, you can't reenter a sign. There's a sign like if you walk, And Amy, we're all waiting. Y'all had signs and balloons and music. And one of our friends was blasting Justin Bieber Baby. So, yeah, that's one of those songs. Anytime I hear Baby, I think of that.
Starting point is 00:35:39 Because the kids loved that song during that time. Yeah, that was a wild time. And you were just like, this spent all the time. And you would come in, you'd be exhausted, and you would go like, I don't know if I can. You know you would do it, but you're like, I don't know how I'm going to figure this out. You'd be listening to the podcasts, nonstop, telling you how to do. deal with, you know, situations in your life because of adoption and... Yeah, other parents that had adopted or we're doing foster care like Eddie and had older
Starting point is 00:36:08 kids that had trauma and things that they're, yeah, I mean, but the podcast helped because it made you feel not alone because you would hear other parents, but then also you kind of heard how bad it really can get. And I was thankful for that mine wasn't as rough. Yeah. But yeah, we're so over that hump. I mean, we have a few things that pop up here and there, but God, that was just a different time because it was so, you're so happy and and then it gets real dark for a minute, just to be honest, and then it gets better again. How is it now? It's good.
Starting point is 00:36:38 We're good. One through 10? 10. Love that answer. Yeah. Are you much happier? Than what? Than you were?
Starting point is 00:36:46 Before the kids? Yeah. Oh, yes. Yes. Your life is different, but you just, you adapt. You adapt. And it's fine. And yes, like I wouldn't change a thing.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Okay. Let me give me a couple then. Yeah. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 32nd skinny. Some of the CMA performers have been announced. Starting point is 00:37:20 Mary Morris and Ryan Hurd's baby will arrive next year, but don't expect to see a lot of photos of the little guy on social media. have no judgment to other people that have pictures of their kids. But just for me, I think I've chosen to have this life. They haven't. So I don't know. We'll see when we get there. But we've kind of, we're on the same page. Luke Bryan is the latest artist to receive an ACM decade award.

With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Lift, which is a right. Ride Share app is now offering people free rides in the job program.
Starting point is 00:38:04 So what it is is if you have a job interview and you need a ride and you don't have enough money to afford it, they'll drive you for free to the job interview. And if you get the job, three weeks free rides until you get your first paycheck. I didn't know that part was added. I thought it was just a cool program to begin with. Yeah. But they'll even take you to work until you get your first paycheck. Yeah, for the first three weeks, it's free because they want to make you get on your feet
Starting point is 00:38:25 until you get a paycheck. Then they start charging. That's the coolest. Yeah. Yeah. Shout out, Lyft. I didn't even have Lyft on my phone. Me neither.
Starting point is 00:38:32 That's all I have. You have Uber. And I use Uber 100%. I don't use Lyft. But maybe I should. I know. I'm like, maybe I'll check them out. That's what it's all about right there.
Starting point is 00:38:41 That was tell me something good. Lobby Bone Show. Story of the day. This story comes up from Sacramento, California. A woman ran out of gas, so she walks six blocks to the gas station, buys a gas can, fills it up. She needs a ride back to her car. She goes, hey, officer, do you mind give me a ride back
Starting point is 00:38:59 to the car. Cop gives her a ride back. She's acting nervous. Runs the plate. Stolen car. Oh, wow. Stole a car ran out of gas. Then got a cop to give her ride back to the stolen car.
Starting point is 00:39:10 Uh-oh. Wow. Not very smart. How bold. I would not ask the cop for a ride. I would wait and ask somebody else. Wow. That's crazy.

Starting point is 00:42:52 dot APUS.edu slash military. Folks, it's your buddy and my Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Boll. Well, it's that time of the year for the turkey drop. Familiar?
Starting point is 00:43:15 No? Well, since it's around the holiday and if you're just kind of on the fence about the person, you drop them so you don't have to go to spend holidays with their family. That's what it's called, a turkey drop. It's the pre-holiday period from 1023 to November 22nd.
Starting point is 00:43:29 It's when a majority of relationship breakups happen. It's so guys and girls can avoid spending time with family of the others. So. You might as well extend that all the way through Christmas because then if you get back together, you're going to have to. Oh, no, the whole thing. It starts with, you're just dropped by then. Oh.
Starting point is 00:43:46 Like it's done. Oh, I was seeing it as a temporary drop. So you avoid the family stuff and then you rekindle. It's cold, man. Yeah, you just drop. Turkey drop happens. No Thanksgiving, no Christmas. Boom.
Starting point is 00:43:55 Might as well sit out for Valentine's Day, too. Oh, yeah. just stay out of it completely. But yeah, I saw that. Now that you know about that, have you ever, well, no. You ever turkey drop? Mm-mm. No.
Starting point is 00:44:04 I've been in a relationship and just did family drop, but stayed on relationship. Just didn't go. Yeah. Because it was too far. He did avoid the turkey. Yeah. What I want to do, though, is a new segment that I'm proposing called Relationship Island. So what it is is we all just kind of go around the room and share what's happening on our relationship island right now.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Just take a quick second to kind of update us on relationship island. Amy? Well, in my relationship currently, there is lots of football, like all kinds of football, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. So my dad and my husband were getting a lot of time together, which is cool. But my husband and I are also trying to find time to date because we realize we haven't been dating that much. And so with all the football, I really know how to quite get it in. And then speaking to dating, my husband and I are also. also dating our kids. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:45:00 Wow. That's like you're going with your son. We're trying to be intentional about one-on-one time, not just with each other, but one-on-one time with kids. So my husband recently did a father-daughter date with our daughter, and I did a little girl's trip with our daughter, and I took our son out, like so one-on-one time. So you've been married for how long?
Starting point is 00:45:17 December 31st, it'll be 13 years. Wow. Yeah. Thanks for having us on your relationship island. Yeah. What's going on on your island? Well, it's funny you bring up football because I'm not currently in a relationship.
Starting point is 00:45:27 I'm very single. I've been single for a couple of years at this point. But I am, tell me if I just made a wrong decision here, which is often the case. I am going on a date this weekend. And I almost don't want to say where I'm going, but I have to for the sake of the story.
Starting point is 00:45:42 Is it like to a football game? It is. Well, okay. But here, so I got a call. I said, hey, do you want to come to the Titans football game? Tennessee Titans, NFL team here. I was like, great. You can sit in the owner's box,
Starting point is 00:45:56 which is fancy. and sideline passes, the whole thing, something I've never done before. And I'm like, great. And this girl that I've been out with a couple times, coffee date, then brunch date, is back in town, and I'm back in town. I was like, hey, just come to the football game with me.
Starting point is 00:46:10 She was like, great. So we decided to go, but then they're like, oh, you have six passes. And I'm like, oh, crap. So I can't not give them away. So I gave any, is it weird that? First of all, I asked Ray last week. I thought it was going to be me and Ray,
Starting point is 00:46:22 and then whatever. Is it weird that they're going to come to these knuckleheads? Oh, we won't bother you guys? Eddie and Ray. Oh, they're going? Yeah. Oh, dang. What do you think about that?
Starting point is 00:46:34 Is that where they're going to be on the date with me? Well, I mean, no, you're going to be with her and they have, tons of people are to a football game, like tons. So they're going to be there. We're sitting by each other. Are they going to be like, Ray, what do you think about this? I think it's fine. We just watch the football game and y'all, too. We'll be perfect.
Starting point is 00:46:50 We'll help you with conversation, too. I can bring up topics. See, this is. Did they, are there, wait. Are there significant others going? No, no. Okay. So it's just...
Starting point is 00:46:59 I just hit Ray last week. I was like, hey, I'm going to go to this game. And then he never answered. And so then I was like, I'll go to her. And then we're like, oh, you have these extra tickets. And so I have two more tickets. And so they're going to go. I think it's fine.
Starting point is 00:47:10 Actually, I'm kind of pumped that Eddie and Ray are going to get to meet her. And they can come back and tell us what it was like. That's another thing I'm worried about. It's like we're going to be watching the whole time. Right there. I can't wait to meet her. Can you all live tweet? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:25 Oh, go live on Instagram. Can she be in the background of a picture? No. Relationship violent. Morgan number two, what do you think about this situation? Would you have had them out on a date, an early date? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:36 I wouldn't bring friends. And we're planning on going hard. I know the situation. I don't think he should have brought her. I think you should just go with your friends and then you go on a different date with her. Should I cancel on her? No, not now. It's already too late.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Does she like football? I don't know. I was going to say who knows. And that's quite the first. I mean, you went from coffee to brunch to like side. Lines at a pro football game. Literally, I'm in town for that day. And box seats.
Starting point is 00:48:02 She could get used to this, you know? Okay, that's my relationship island. Thank you. Yeah, on an island with your boys. I know. It's going to be fun. Shut it. We're going to go hard.
Starting point is 00:48:13 I know. Lunchbox relationship island? I'm in kind of the same boat as Amy. My wife is a little annoyed because the TV, like right now you get the World Series on, you have football. So, I mean, our TV is on sports. seven nights a week right now, and she is so annoyed because we can't watch any of the shows that she wants to watch because she wants to watch so you think you can dance.
Starting point is 00:48:35 She still hasn't seen the season finale, things like that. And I'm like, honey, we got the kid to bed. The football game's on. Oh, the World Series is on. So that's a little bit annoying. So I'm trying to be nice and give her the channel change her every once in a while. But man, it's just hard. Relationship Island, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:48:51 Man, you know, we've been married 14 years, and this is the best we've ever, ever been. Like ever. My wife and I had mountains and valleys, ups and downs, but we're really sturdy right now, sturdy enough to foster two kids. However, something came up the other night that really threw me for a loop. She was going through something bad and I was just like, get over it, you know, like trying to fix it like a man. And she's like, can't you just comfort me? You've never comforted me. And I'm like, what's that mean? Like hug you?
Starting point is 00:49:21 Like, what's that going to do? And I really didn't know how to comfort my wife after 14 years of marriage. So I'm like, wow, I really got to think this over. Like, I don't know, maybe I wasn't taught that as a kid or something, but I don't even know how to hug her. Isn't that crazy? I think, I think as men, though, y'all always want to fix. And I can relate to her feeling of like, because I have to preface that with my husband sometimes is, I'm not looking for you to fix this. Like, I'll say it ahead of time.
Starting point is 00:49:46 You don't have to fix this. Just listen to me. That's what she said. And be there for me. Don't fix it. Don't fix it. But if I'm listening and I can fix it, why would I not? Nope.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Not looking for you to fix. They don't want that, dude. I'm not looking for your But you know what? Thank you guys for stepping on my island for a little bit Because I felt alone there for a second Well I'm glad you're trying to figure it out And Lunchbox is trying to figure out his Are you trying to figure it out though
Starting point is 00:50:05 Are you actually letting her see the remote control? When the games get out of control Like if it's a blowout I will give her the channel change her And be like here you can watch whatever you want But if it's a close game No, not really Or before the game starts
Starting point is 00:50:17 She can watch 10 minutes of her show So it's all about you Of course And then if you aren't In your mode she gets a little bit Yeah But I guess Give her 10 minutes before the game starts.
Starting point is 00:50:27 All right, now the game starts. We've got to go to your show. He gives her 10 minutes. That's nice. It's a compromise. Finally, Morgan number two, relationship island. Well, I really am on an island right now because I deleted all of my dating apps. Wow.
Starting point is 00:50:42 I'm kind of like at a hiatus, I guess, with everything. Nothing seems to be working. So I'm just kind of putting it all away and letting life happen whatever is going to happen. I did see you tweet yesterday that you do love bad boys. I do. Literally that's why I'm in therapy because it's been bad for my life to be attracted to bad boys
Starting point is 00:51:01 So I'm trying to figure out how to not be attracted to that What about bad boys is it that you like though? They're just charming And they have the confidence And they can kind of woo me, I guess And so by the time I would see their red flags It's too late, I'm already wooed You're halfway into woo
Starting point is 00:51:17 Yeah So I'm trying to figure out of that And see the red flags first over the charm It's hard Hey do you have a $500 bounty if we get you a dude like Bobby has if we get him a girl? No, we're not doing double bounties. We're not running double bounties.
Starting point is 00:51:31 Because then lunchbox is like, because then if I hook her up with him and him up with her. That's a thousand dollars. We already know each other though. I know. But these guys, they won't let, sometimes lunchbox won't let it go that y'all are not going to date. I know.
Starting point is 00:51:44 Bobby Bonds. Yes. So we were all given movies that we have to watch. We drew them. And I drew the movie, Sweet Home Alabama. Yeah. Now, not a documentary about Leonard Skinner, but a romantic comedy that Morgan No. 2 put in the bucket for me to draw. I'd never seen Sweet Home Alabama, probably only a couple scenes on YouTube.
Starting point is 00:52:08 And so, I have some thoughts about it. By the way, you love it, right? I love it. Favorite movie ever. It's so cute. It came out a long time ago, right? Yes. And the fashion is really like early 2000s, maybe late 90s. And it's a story about a girl who grew up in the South, who then goes to New York.
Starting point is 00:52:26 York is embarrassed about where she comes from, changes her last name, finds a really rich guy. Great guy, by the way. The rich guy is really great too. Moves back to Alabama to try to get divorced from her first husband. Plot twist. Who knew she was even married before? And then in the end, she falls back in love with her first husband, right? And so that being said, hey, try to create this, you're supposed to dislike the root against the rich guy? He's the nicest guy. She ends up dumping the nicest guy. He throws a wedding for her. It's spoiler. It's.
Starting point is 00:52:56 over 10 years old, I don't care. He throws this really nice wedding for her in her hometown, and she dumps him at the altar and she's supposed to be like, that's my girl. I couldn't do it. I was texting Morgan number two during the movie going, I can't root against this guy. I get home is super important, and it was.
Starting point is 00:53:13 But she dumped the rich guy who's played by McDreamy. And you know what he does at the wedding? He goes, oh, this is what it feels like to dump someone. Okay, it's fair. I leave. And he walks off the movie. It's so ridiculous. There's some.
Starting point is 00:53:26 funny parts because it starts off and they're on the beach and they're kids and he's like, let's get married and then here's the first clip. What you want to be married to me for anyhow? So I can kiss you anytime I want. Is that the end? That's the end. Yeah. That's not the right clip.
Starting point is 00:53:45 At the beginning, they're kids and they do that same little clip. And so that happens. A lot of stereotypes, I grew up in the South and a lot of stereotypes where, you know, where the rich New York people think the people from the South are stupid. And this is him getting in a fight with her. Here's that clip. Honey, just because I talk slow doesn't mean I'm stupid. Boom, because he's not stupid,
Starting point is 00:54:09 because he created a big business while she was gone. Like really big. And then she's in a bar, and one of her friends comes out and has a baby in the bar. And this is a very famous quote. Here you go. Look at you. You have a baby.
Starting point is 00:54:22 In a bar. Hell, I got three more at home. A lot of stuff. stereotype's happening on this movie. I would give it 2.5 out of 5 Alabama. What? That's it? I just couldn't root against the supposed villain.
Starting point is 00:54:39 Yeah, but his mom was trying to sabotage. But he was against his mom. Even he was like, mom, you're being ridiculous. She's a great girl. It was hard for me. There's a protagonist and an antagonist, and I just, I was like, you did the good dude wrong
Starting point is 00:54:54 to be with another dude. That she was, party with. But okay. They're both good. They're both good. She just had to follow her. Didn't have one of those double marriages.
Starting point is 00:55:04 No. I cannot believe this. And also to her, bad on her, she let the wedding happen and then canceled it while it was happening. Yeah, it's not good. Not good. So it was, I could see where 10 years ago is probably good. It's still good.
Starting point is 00:55:25 It is still good. just couldn't root against the villain. Eddie, have you seen this movie? I've never seen it. It's not a superhero. But I'm not forced to watch it, so I don't think I'm going to watch it. Yeah, no. Okay. It is pretty good. It's fine. And the guy, Amy, the villain, the New York guy,
Starting point is 00:55:41 he's so romantic. Big Dreamy. He tricks her to go into this event, and all of a sudden she's, like, walking into a back room, and yeah, he's rich. That doesn't mean you're a bad dude. And then she walks in the back door at the jewelry store, and he's like, I like to propose. And she's like, what? And put him in the jewelry store. And it's, and he gets any ring she won.
Starting point is 00:55:56 I got chills! I got chills! I think you like McDreamy. Yeah, he's pretty cute. And the other guy is like a Matthew McConaughey second stringer. Like they couldn't get McCona hate this movie. Yeah, they tried, but they got this guy. Aw.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Anyway, Morgan number two, I see why you would like it. I do see where it'd be great 10 years ago. Reese Witherspoon's great, but I give it 2.5 out of five Alabama's. I'm so offended right now. Do not hate my movie because I didn't love yours. I'm so offended right now. I think you like it better than you're saying, though, because you sound pretty invested right now in the storyline.
Starting point is 00:56:25 2.5 out of five Alabama's I've spoken my piece. Thank you. So Chipotle is doing its annual Halloween promotion again this year. So if you show up to a store on Halloween in a costume after 3 p.m., you can get a big old burrito bowl for only $4.
Starting point is 01:00:20 And it's called the burrito. bowl. So if you go in a costume in the afternoon, you get a big breeder for four bucks? Yeah. What's it usually cost? Probably like eight or nine, depending on if you get chicken or steak. I'm going to tell you, Halloween coming up. I'm a little disappointed.
Starting point is 01:00:37 Amy and Eddie and I are going to a children's hospital on Tuesday of next week, and it was a Halloween thing, and all the kids are decorating bags. And at first, I was told we needed a dress up in a Halloween costume. So I'm like, cool. So I ordered a Halloween costume. And now they're like, hey, don't worry about the Halloween costume anymore because the kids are having a party the next day and they're not going to dress up until the next day. So now I'm sitting here with the Halloween costume and there's nowhere to wear it. I thought you were going to go to a Halloween party.
Starting point is 01:01:02 No, but that's just like next door to my house, like a bunch of adults. It's not a dress-up party. Oh. Yeah. I think you're all going to dress up. No, no, no, no. I would assume you dressed up. Yeah, so it's kind of wasted, huh?
Starting point is 01:01:11 So now I have, I bought all these parts to this costume and had to put it together with my own creativity. Ingenuity. You're just going to have to go trick-treating then. I got the shoulder pads in the other day. I got the helmet for when I go into battle. So annoyed. Now I've got to find something to do on Halloween night, though. Our raging idiots on Tulsa, we could dress up on stage.
Starting point is 01:01:34 We can do that and play. I don't know if they're going to everybody be dressed up. Anyway, what else am I? So if you have a beard, even though beards are super trendy right now and look so good, but you're also looking for a new job, you might want to get rid of the beard because sporting facial hair, regardless of what you're capable of isn't seen highly
Starting point is 01:01:52 like by bosses for whatever reason it's a turnoff but things that were good for you were wearing a tie and glasses. I think that you know you were doing a little editorial there by saying beards look so good
Starting point is 01:02:05 I'm not a beard guy. I don't only like beers I guess just depending on who you are but you like beers because if my husband's listening right now he's been looking for an excuse to shave and I keep saying no so I should tell him
Starting point is 01:02:16 like you're gonna less people are going to and work with you. Oh, wait. My beard doesn't grow right. Is that why you don't like them? Maybe you don't know. Yeah, because I can't.
Starting point is 01:02:26 I'm like, I hate them. No, no. I can't have a good one, so nobody should. Didn't, don't you not like the little, yeah, gray patch or something that's coming through? I mean, we don't have to get specific. That's what I don't like. I don't bring that up.
Starting point is 01:02:36 It doesn't grow all the way right. Because I could always dye it. Mm-hmm. It doesn't grow right. Every moon that does that. I don't want to do that. I'm an adult men. If you dye it, it's so obvious and it looks weird.
Starting point is 01:02:44 It's not good. Men that dyed their beards, I don't get it. It's weird to me. I'd rather, I like the... Unless it's a good one, because I know people that have work done and you don't know about them. Oh, okay. Maybe they have a good dye job. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:56 All right. What else? Hate us. Hades up to parents. All right. Sorry, sorry. Sorry. What else?
Starting point is 01:02:59 Heads up to parents. Teens drink more sugar and consume more caffeine every hour they spend on screens, raising the risk of diabetes and obesity. And basically, basically, you've got to limit the screen time. Like, if they have a tablet or iPhone or iPhone, or maybe even just the regular old TV, but you got to watch it and watch if they're eating more mindlessly while they're doing it. Because, I mean, we just had TV back in the day.
Starting point is 01:03:23 And plus, I feel like we played outside a lot more. I know that me as a mom, like I've been having to watch, like, how much my kids are on their tablet. And I would like advice from other parents, too, if you all have a strict rule on screen time during the week versus the weekends. And it's so hard. I would think that, yes, people would have a lot of advice for you, just knowing how our show listeners are.
Starting point is 01:03:45 I'll take it. Yeah. Because I think I want to start implementing. Yeah, yeah, everyone. Yeah, and give her medical advice too. They have a lot of that too. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:03:55 I made me. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this is so awesome of this principal at the school. A first grader lost his tooth at recess.
Starting point is 01:04:11 Got knocked out. Like it was already loose, but his playing got knocked out, lost. They can't find it. So the kid was. freaking out that the tooth fairy wasn't going to be able to come because he had no tooth to put under his pillow. So what the principal did was he wrote a note to the tooth fairy vouching for the kid. That's funny. And then the next day the kid came to school and was like, thanks for the note. The tooth fairy totally trusted you and I had a whole dollar bill under my pillow.
Starting point is 01:04:35 And the tooth fairy should have trusted the principal. Right. That's too trustworthy people right there. I know. Good for that principal because tooth fairy probably wouldn't even known. Yeah, that's good. That's funny. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good Folks, it's your buddy and my Mr. Bobby Bones Let's go Transmedic
Starting point is 01:04:52 Oh my Oh heck yes Let's do the Investigator Corny All right Amy will give us the morning corny We just have a minute and 30 seconds to figure it out
Starting point is 01:05:10 Everybody ready? Ready. Team ready All right here we go The Morning Corny What do ghosts love to ride At the fair What do ghosts? Love to ride at the fair go Ferris wheel boo boo boo is will

Starting point is 01:05:52 Let's figure out the other one. The carousel. Who rides a carousel at the fair? A lot of people. Is that the one with the horses? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The carousel? That's what that is called?
Starting point is 01:06:05 Yeah, that's a fancy ride. We never rode that fancy ride. Let's see, let's see. A ghost. A ghost. Boo. Boo. It's got to see something boo.
Starting point is 01:06:13 It's got to be boo. Boo. The boo. Haunted hayride. Casper. What did ghosts? Haunted. Who's a famous ghost?
Starting point is 01:06:24 Casper. Casper. Scare. What can we fit scare in, though? Scare. And now all I can think is scare as wheel. I know. That's a great answer.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Funnel cake. Scary are we? 10 seconds. Oh my gosh. We're going to miss this one. We're not going to get it. What do ghosts like to ride at the fair? Roll or ghoster.
Starting point is 01:06:51 I mean, yeah. Go with that. I mean, I got that in. I like Scariswell better than Roller Ghoster. I mean, I wouldn't laugh at Roller Ghostske. Yeah. What? Is that the joke?
Starting point is 01:07:03 Roller Coaster is not funny. Okay, I told you I have two answers, so hit, hit me. The Morning Corny. What's a ghost's favorite ride at the fair? What's a ghost favorite ride at the fair? The scary go round and the roller goster. Okay. I mean, we got it.
Starting point is 01:07:23 All right. All right, all right. Hit it, Eddie! Yeah, clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose. I just kind of threw that out there. Holy cow. All right, we got another one. This is the Bobby Mawrown show. A woman named Lisa had the hiccups for 12 years.
Starting point is 01:07:38 Twelve years. What? Oh, that's... Like non-stop? I mean, I have them for 12 minutes, and I, losing my mind. I have a clip of her hiccups. They have a weird sound, kind of like a dog that squills when you actually step on its tail. You can envision that, right?
Starting point is 01:07:51 They started when she was pregnant with her first child. they never went away. Doctors say it's a side effect of a minor stroke that she had during pregnancy. Although she never felt it, she's had no other issues, it's still a real tiny part of her.
Starting point is 01:08:03 She felt pregnant in 2008. She was a nail technician and she's like, I can't stop the hiccups. 12 years, MRIs, neurologists, EEGs. They're like, well, you had a tiny stroke during pregnancy and this is what you're left with.
Starting point is 01:08:18 And ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the hiccups. I am Lisa Gray. And I've had the hiccups for 12 years. Started when I was pregnant I just thought it was a random hiccup I make a point of warning people about them so that it doesn't make them jump
Starting point is 01:08:31 Mostly gets compared to If you accidentally stand on a dog I mean it's funny when you first read the story But then when you have to think about something Living with that for 12 years And constantly having to tell people Oh what you're going to hear from me I'm really sorry
Starting point is 01:08:47 And it's really loud It's not like just a Yeah it's like a scream It's like a tiny scream Bobby Bones I brought in my guitar Were you wondering Like why do you have your guitar here?
Starting point is 01:08:58 Yeah, I was I'm gonna play you a theme to a famous TV show All you have to do is name the show So it's not gonna be super crazy I may play a track with me occasionally But write your answers down Okay? All right

Starting point is 01:09:21 Seinfeld Oh wow I didn't even hear that Man see why do we always use Good ones on examples ones I always get. Well, I know, but... Alright, here we go. Write your answer down. And here is... Let me do this. All right. Here is the first one. This gave you a big hint. I'm in. You did? Oh, yeah. Big hint.

Starting point is 01:10:38 Okay, Amy? Breaking Bad. Oh. Breaking Bad. Oh. X files? No, I'm sorry. I'll play one more time.
Starting point is 01:10:47 This would be The Walking Dead. Here it is. Oh. Again, I'm just playing a guitar, so it's kind of hard to hear the other. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're doing a good job, though. All right, here we go. Here is.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Here is the third song. I'm in. All right. Amy. Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad. That's breaking bad. There you go.
Starting point is 01:11:23 Good. Okay. I've got a couple left here. I only know so many songs, boys. I have to like get learning the night before. Okay, name this one. Oh, wow. You know it, Amy?
Starting point is 01:11:59 I think so. Okay. Okay. I don't know. I have no clue, so I'm going to guess. It's a tough one. Man, I'm in for the win. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:12:10 I put Dawson's Creek. Eddie. How I met your mother. Amy, I don't know that you'll get this. If you do, I'll love it and I'll be surprised. Go ahead. That 70s show? Wow.
Starting point is 01:12:22 Yes. Really? I just felt that. Can you play a little bit more? I just want to hear it. Do that thing. Oh, let's come. Okay, I hear it.
Starting point is 01:12:35 Hanging out. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. There was one thing in there that gave it away to me. And I was like, I don't even watch that show. Amy, props to you, that was really good. Thank you. I will receive the props.
Starting point is 01:12:47 You're good. Props receiving. Proppers. Here we go. Last proper respect. Last one, name this TV show. What in the world? I'm in for the winner.
Starting point is 01:13:19 You got it lunchbox? No, I don't have this. I'm in. Amy. Golden girls. Oh my gosh. I got it. Golden girls.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Eddie? Golden girls. And? I thought it said thanks for being a friend. That's what it's doing. There you go. There she. Did Amy win? Oh, just like that. There she is. There she goes.
Starting point is 01:13:40 You're faking it. There she goes again. Oh, there's a great song. I love that song. When Amy wins, I get so excited. No, you don't. This song does not get you pumped up. And now all of a sudden you're faking it because all of y'all have fun songs. Wow, that's fun.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Three, two, one. There she goes. That's Amy. That's it. There she goes again. That's Amy. I mean, whatever. Such a good song.
Starting point is 01:14:06 No. You know I want a new song and you're doing it on purpose. Well, I mean, being great, they're going great. No, that's not that one. That's not that one I want. Juice. All right. We'll see how it goes.
Starting point is 01:14:17 You guys have fun of that game, though? Yeah. That was tough. Amy got us good, though. That 70 show was a good answer there. Yeah, I have an ear for things, you know. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 01:14:27 Tell me something good. A police officer in New York is getting a lot of. praise online after someone snapped a photo of him playing basketball with a bunch of kids waiting for a school bus. The photo showed the smiling officer, Elijah Washington, and the kids playing ball. Washington was working in the neighborhood on the overnight shift in the morning. He drove by, saw all the kids playing, decided to hop in on the game, said he's relatively new to the force, but he grew up in the same neighborhood, and he wanted to be around doing something fun and positive so people would see police officers doing cool things instead of always just arresting people.
Starting point is 01:15:01 Love it. And your son is way into the police. and they're so nice to him too. They are just beyond nice. Like it just, it makes his day too, and it makes me appreciate them on a whole other level. So shout out to this officer, Elijah Washington. He said, this is where I live and this is the community I want to protect. So I love that and that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, non-profit Christian University based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona. Starting point is 01:18:55 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Ray Mundo is our audio producer. He's in a glass room there.
Starting point is 01:19:11 He does the news. He does his voice for a lot of things. He does all the sound editing. He also has already put up his Christmas tree at his house. Oh, wow. Amy, how do we feel about that? I mean, I think it's kind of amazing. I'm a little bit jealous.
Starting point is 01:19:24 Really? Yeah. Yeah, we got a $100 gift card at Target. And my girlfriend just said, hey, can we use it for a Christmas tree? I didn't know she already. wanted to put up the tree, so we did it. We're, I mean, we got, there's already some stuff on it, Tensel. I just have to put the lights on, and we will have something in our window that is for
Starting point is 01:19:39 Christmas, and we're not even into Halloween. October 24th, and he has this Christmas tree up. How do we feel about that? Fine. Terrible. Rushing the holidays. Enjoy Halloween, Thanksgiving. Oh, disgusting.
Starting point is 01:19:52 Disgusting. Wow. Yeah, it's like, I go to the store and I see the Christmas trees. It makes me want to barf already. Is it real or fake? Oh, it's fake. Okay, then that's fine. I was going to say if it's real, it's a little early
Starting point is 01:20:02 and probably die before Christmas. Morgan number two, our head of digital. How do you feel about a Christmas tree on October 24th? I'm all about it. Mine will be up in about a week. Really? Yep. I'm going to say if it's important to her, good job.
Starting point is 01:20:12 Yeah, it's really important to her, but honestly, at night, I try to close the blinds a little bit. I don't want the neighbors seeing. I'm totally, it's ruining my game. I mean, if they see us, they're going to be like, oh, there's the weirdo Christmas couple. It's terrible. It's so early.
Starting point is 01:20:24 You don't want to be known as the Christmas couple? Oh, and then they think we're always jolly and happy and everything, but I mean, sometimes we just like to chill and just chill out and drink. We're not just like... Do you think people with Christmas trees are just jolly? What a... No. And like super fans of Christmas.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Okay, that's okay, though. I think if she loves it and you make it a priority to make what she loves what you love, great, you win. Everybody wins. And it won't look that bad. If it starts snowing early, you know what? We beat you guys to the punch. We got the tree up already.
Starting point is 01:20:51 How is Christmas going to go for you and your girl? Some of it here and then back in Michigan. I think flights have already been booked, so... Do you feel like that you'll be... engaged by the time that you used to take her home. That would be a pretty perfect time though up in Michigan to do what to propose? To do a little engagement. All my family's going to be there. Brother, sister, wives, moms, dads, cousins, everybody. So, but you would rather propose around your family? I thought if you proposed to her to be around her family, is that not the rule?
Starting point is 01:21:17 I don't think that. I mean, just put in her stocking, dude, whichever stocking, her place or your place. And when I'm at home, there's so many options. I can put in a snowbank. I can put it in a tree. I can put it in a truck. I'd be, I'd be careful. with the snowbank. Ray gets a ringing and loses it in the snowman. Oh my gosh. Right? But yeah, it's a lot of stuff she's unfamiliar with,
Starting point is 01:21:35 so I could easily hide around the corner in my house. I have no idea. And boom, surprise. He knows all the hiding spots. Do you think that you'll be engaged by Christmas Day? Yeah. Yeah. I feel like we've heard this before.
Starting point is 01:21:47 We have for about a whole year. Yeah, yeah. I have never put lights on my house. Are you going to this year? I'm single, how many kids? I know. If I'm the one who doesn't, does that look bad on me? You're the Grinch.
Starting point is 01:22:00 I bet everybody in your neighborhood decorates hardcore. Well, no, every neighborhood has a house that doesn't and it's always weird. Yeah, you're the Grinch. Like, just keep on walking. I don't want to be to keep on walking house. I don't have people like also,
Starting point is 01:22:12 I don't need to be coming up, but I don't. When I was going to come up for? It's not like Halloween. They don't trick-or-treat for Christmas presents. They're caroling, maybe. Yeah, I don't mind that. Yeah, that means me. So I need to spend money and have it done.
Starting point is 01:22:25 Yes. Or you could do it yourself. I'll burn a house down. fall off a ladder. A lot of bad stuff. Clark Griswold it. All right. Wow, dude, that's cool.
Starting point is 01:22:35 You're just to be your first time ever. And you got to buy those inflatables. Like inflatable Mickey Santa. I think those are fine, though. But what? Oh, I don't know if your neighborhood was like. They're probably not. They'd probably be like, I'm excuse me,
Starting point is 01:22:46 we don't do inflatables here. Oh, yeah. Phones, there's some cool ones where like Santa comes out of a chimney. Or out of a NASCAR. Yeah, it's awesome. I used to have that in my front yard. I don't quite know how I feel about all this right now. It's a lot thrown at me at once.
Starting point is 01:22:59 You better get on it though. I mean, it's... It's October 24. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Why are you clapping at me? Whoa, sorry. I definitely got aggressive there. I was just letting you know that you need to get on it because they're book. Like, people that decorate houses, like, they're book.
Starting point is 01:23:18 It's not like you can call them last minute. And they're like, wide open. And if they are, then you're like, ooh. They're like that song that you never know the words to. Which one? Wide open. Wide open. Calls Woodnell song? I know.
Starting point is 01:23:30 All right, I will do that. I have somebody for you. Well, I just talked to Ray and Eddie and we're available for a certain price. No, we're not. We're not decorating his house. Amy wants to change her winning song, which she's had for 10 years.
Starting point is 01:23:43 And so right now if she wins a game, she gets this. There she goes. So cool. Amy. There she goes again. Amy. Y'all, don't church it up
Starting point is 01:23:56 with your. Amen, because that has never been the case. Normally it comes on and everybody's quiet because you're not into it and now you're trying to act all into it. Okay, but she's actually saying she wants to change her song today. We like that one though.
Starting point is 01:24:09 I know, I do because it's like I like to sing along. There she goes. Amy. There she goes again. Amy. Okay, yeah, if you do that, it's more fun. Does it get any better than that? You'll have never done that until now.
Starting point is 01:24:25 Maybe you just don't hear it. Your channel. We do it. Maybe we're off mic when we do it. No, we have listeners that even call in that say they don't like it when I win because my song is so lame. I don't think that's why they don't like it when you do it. No, no.
Starting point is 01:24:35 I don't think that's it. Yeah, they did say that one person. Okay, that's your sister. Okay, listen. No, it's a guy. What song do you want to change it to? Lizzo, juice. Hit it.
Starting point is 01:24:46 Why? Just hit it. It's just, I like the vibe I get. I like the feel I get when it comes. Okay. I mean, she likes it. You know it's fun. You know it makes you want to smile. If that song comes on when I'm,
Starting point is 01:25:05 work. This is when I decided that I... It's my juice! Let me say this. I think it's a good song. I would just hope... I know it's too new. No, no, no, no, not too new. I'm just going to lay this out for you. What? That it's a great song. It ain't my fault.
Starting point is 01:25:24 I like it when it comes on. It's fun song and smile. You're married to it for years. Don't pick the trendy song of now. Pick a song that you're going to be with forever. So if you want to change it... I was never married to There She Goes. But that's... There she goes.
Starting point is 01:25:39 Amen. There she goes again. Amy. Like, how cool is that? Yeah, Amy, that song, I feel like it's going to, you're getting caught up in the moment. Or, there she goes, Amy, there she goes again, Amy. Wow.
Starting point is 01:26:06 The energy just went from like, awesome to so lame, and y'all are trying to sell it so hard. Like. Or are you selling it so hard? I tell you what. Yes, what? No. What?
Starting point is 01:26:17 Listen, if I'm working out and there she goes comes on, I'm like, oh, I'm going to take a break. But do you have your peanut gallery going, there she goes? If I'm working out and juice comes on, I work out harder. Okay, I'll tell you, that's what we can do. Oh, man, he's going to lay down the law. Today's 24th. You can use it until the... Well, what if I don't win any games?
Starting point is 01:26:37 I know. You have to win at least three games before the end of next week. Wait, what? Yeah, no pressure. To get to keep it? Yeah. Any game. You can do this, Amy.
Starting point is 01:26:48 We play a game a day. Yeah. If you win three games before the end of next week, you can keep the song. Or. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And if you don't. No, I already know.
Starting point is 01:27:06 That's what I want. It's what I want. And how long is she locked in? Forever. I'll take it forever. At least a year. Okay, fine. These are your contracts.
Starting point is 01:27:15 Give me that Lizzo for a year. If you don't win three games, your song is the Monday Night Football theme song. Oh, yeah. That is great. That's goodness. Amy. No. No, no, just that.
Starting point is 01:27:28 We don't do Amy to that. No. How about this? Because we do that for drafts, right? If you don't win three games for the end of next week, I get to pick your song for a year. Oh. Everybody hurts.
Starting point is 01:27:38 That was so rude. Amy, do you take that bet you're going to regret? Because I'm the best it's ever been. Oh, wow, that'd be a good song, too. Take the bat. Well, what are you going to... I don't know. What would you do to me?
Starting point is 01:27:50 I don't know. He could do the one you want. Oh, you could be nice and give me. me juice. That's right. Or you could be mean. I'll do that. I take bed accepted. Bet accepted. Hey, my phone.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Okay. Bet accepted. She has until the end of next week to win three games. Yes, Bobby Bones. You can always reach out to the show. We love to help and give our thoughts on stuff. That's why we open the mailbag. Bobby's Mailbag.
Starting point is 01:28:24 Hello, Bobby Bones. My name is Jerry. I'm 35 years old. I was hoping. Give me a little advice. I'm divorced. I have two kids and have had a vasectomy after my second child. Well, recently, my girlfriend whom I planned on proposing to this Christmas told me she will only marry me if I reverse my vasectomy
Starting point is 01:28:41 so I can have another kid. Now, I love her more than anything, but I don't want any more children. And she thinks I don't really love her if I'm not willing to reverse my vasectomy. Do you think my relationship is doomed? Any suggestions signed Jerry. Yikes. That's a big one, boys. This is a big one.
Starting point is 01:29:01 This is in the business, what we call a whale. That's a big. It's a big problem. But you know the answer, right? What? What is it? Well, okay, Amy, you go first. Oh, man, I wanted you to go first.
Starting point is 01:29:09 I won't first last time. You can have first. I'm so, I don't like that she's using the you don't love me if you don't reverse it because that's like so deep. When really like you've had kids and you already made that decision. So it doesn't mean you love her less. But then does she really want to have you. reverse it and then you have a baby and then you not really be into it, that would be awful to me. I don't really know. I mean, if you don't want kids and she does, then you're doomed. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:41 Like, you might be done. This might be that conversation y'all probably should have had like when y'all first started dating. So it sucks, but it might be over. So you're saying to Jerry. I'm not saying, yeah, I'm saying like it might be over. Like you have to stick with what you want to do. You can't just reverse it. I mean, unless you truly love her. but then it's like a threat. Oh, truly love? No, no. But then it's a threat.
Starting point is 01:30:03 Like, he's doing it because she threatened. Like, you don't really love me, so prove me. Like, I don't like that. I want it to be a decision they make together. What do you say? I need to answer for Jerry. I mean, if you don't want to reverse it,
Starting point is 01:30:13 you don't reverse it. And then y'all probably don't stay together. I would say, and I would lean on, that it has really nothing to do with the vasectomy. That's a part of it, but it's not really to do with the vasectomy. He doesn't want to have kids anymore.
Starting point is 01:30:26 She does. And that's just a fundamental issue in a relationship with two people. So he didn't have a second me or not. If he doesn't want to have kids anymore and she does, that's an issue. So if you're done having kids, period, regardless of a medical procedure you had and you're like,
Starting point is 01:30:41 I can't do it anymore. And she's like, well, you have to. And if that's the deal breaker, then Amy's right, that's over. Now you have to weigh is it worth keeping her to have another kid? Because that's
Starting point is 01:30:57 a life, like a, percentage you have to lay out. Because it's not just easy to go, well, no, cut, done. You have to go, this is not a good decision. Which do I want the most to keep her to not have a kid? So if you don't want to have kids and you're against having kids, the relationship's not going to work. Now I feel like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:31:17 I do love her more than I don't want to have a kid. Then maybe you should at least readjust it. I would just say pull back a second, lay it all out there again. Think about it. You know, is it worth keeping her and having another kid? because that's important to her. And if it's not, if it's not, then you have to go. You have to run because she's not good.
Starting point is 01:31:35 And if she acts like, you know what, I'll just follow with what you're saying and we won't have any more kids. She's going to be resentful of you forever. And you can't have that. It's a little evil seed in a relationship. It's going to grow into a plant. So I'm with Amy.
Starting point is 01:31:48 If it really is a fundamental reason, kid versus no kid, it's not going to work. Lunchbox. Look, you messed up in the first place getting the vasectomy. No guy should ever. get a vasectomy. Ever. Ever. Because things like this, like your ex-wife leaves you and then you're stuck with a new girl that wants to have a kid. It's like, oh no. So two wrongs don't make a right.
Starting point is 01:32:09 If you don't want to have another kid, don't let any woman tell you you need to go get your vasectomy. Tell her, no, sorry, I don't want any more kids. And if she's not happy with that, she's got to leave. Sorry, two wrongs don't make it right. You had a bad vasectomy. Don't reverse it to make someone else happy. Oddly, we all kind of fall in line on this, on this one. For different reasons. You had a vasectomy idea? No. Oh, your wife. She had a hysterectomy. High five?
Starting point is 01:32:33 No, she had her tubes tied. Tubes. Very different. Oh. Good job, Eddie. They were, it was our, stop. Please give me high fives. The only reason she did is because it was a C-section.
Starting point is 01:32:42 The doctor was like, we're already in there. Should we just do that? And then he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. She was out. She didn't even know. He's like, yeah, yeah, do that. Oh, no, no, she decided. This is how she finds out.
Starting point is 01:32:51 She decided. We all kind of fall in line of there is just a fundamental issue with someone wants to have a kid and someone does it. And that's really what it comes down to, if aectomy or not. Yeah. But Bobby always says if you're going to repair your relationship, have a kid, that always helps. I don't really say that.
Starting point is 01:33:06 And when I do, I'm saying it as a joke, because that is the worst thing. I would say kids add a whole other, I mean, I'm sure we could all agree to this. They add a whole other dimension to your relationship. If that if you're not, if that's not what you want, then you're going to be really frustrated.
Starting point is 01:33:20 But if it is what you want. It's just a bandaid too if you decide, well, we'll worry about that later. Right. We'll go in and get married, worry about it. That's just a bandaid. and they're still a cut under there and eventually it's got to be dealt with.
Starting point is 01:33:30 So, yeah. Amy's right, though. They should have had this conversation a long time ago. It all should. Every relationship. Yeah. I mean, I have friends that got married when we were young and they didn't,
Starting point is 01:33:40 they didn't talk about it. And they're couples that ended up not together a few years later. Because even the girls, it was them too. Like, they didn't want kids and maybe one of my girlfriends. She did not want a kid? And the guy did.
Starting point is 01:33:52 And I was like, did y'all ever talk about that? She's like, well, we were just so young. A lot of people think people will change, though, too. That's another one. Yeah. That's another one. Well, thank you for your email, Jerry. We all agree that you got to have that.
Starting point is 01:34:02 And if you both are still on different sides, you can't get engaged. There you go. Hey, that's the mailbag. And that was Bobby's Mailbag. Starting point is 01:37:58 Like he was doing little drop-offs Like people pick him up Drive a few blocks And then he comes walking back But I think he's upped his game Okay so hold on Explain to me what was happening So someone would drive up to his house
Starting point is 01:38:09 He would get in their car And they would drive away And five minutes later He'd come walking back So obviously they would get in the car drive a couple blocks. He would make the transaction and they would just let him off wherever they're done. Is that obvious or is that just you assuming? I mean, that's pretty, why else is he getting in a car and walking back eight times a day? And I mean, it's five minutes. It's not like they're taking him to the grocery store and he's
Starting point is 01:38:32 coming back with groceries. He's coming back with nothing in his hands. Looking to buy a car radio. Having a little chat. And they just drop them off randomly somewhere in the neighborhood. Maybe he's not that fun to hang out with. Like, ugh. They got a fight. Right. We would assume that's what's happening. Yes. Okay. And so now he's up to his game. So we have an alley behind our house where our trash cans are. And if you stand out on my back porch, you'll watch him. He'll go put a bag in the trash. Five minutes later, a car will come up and get it out of the trash can. Wow. Drugs. So, I mean, it has to be. I mean, what else could it be? I mean, is he leaving a bag of toys for someone to come get? Oh, Toys for Todd's. There's only one way to find out. Yeah. Oh, I want to go look so
Starting point is 01:39:14 Do it. Do it. Do it. But I'm scared. If you go grab one of those bags, you can end up in a bag. Oh. You can think about that. Yeah, you have to think about that stuff. This is like that time I thought that crossing guard was dealing drugs. And then lunchbox went up and she was giving out peppermints. Yeah. But it maybe it's not drugs in the bag. Maybe it's the money he's made and he has to pay the person. And that's the way to, the big amount of money. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:39:41 But he goes and puts it in the trash can. Five minutes later, car comes. rolling up, opens a trash kid, takes it out, drives away. So what are you going to do, find out what's going on? Oh, man, I don't. I want to go look so bad. But the mature adult in me is saying, don't be an idiot, don't get caught up in the mess. Because he doesn't cause any problems for the neighborhood. He's really, you know, polite and nice and says hi to you. But man, that's so huge. If he says hi, he should be able to deliver drugs, tell drugs, right? He's nice. Yeah, isn't he's polite.
Starting point is 01:40:14 Do you think about calling the cops ever? I've thought about it, but I don't want to be the snitch. I don't want to get the guy in trouble. Like I said, he's not causing a ruckus in the neighborhood. So as long as it keeps it, you know, on the down low and no one's getting hurt. Is it a snitch if you call the cops if you have a drug dealing neighbor? I don't think so. What?
Starting point is 01:40:32 Yeah, that's a snitch. That's the definition of a snitch. Yeah. But he's doing something illegal in your neighborhood. Uh-uh, no, I'm not trying to get murdered. Involved in that. I don't know. I would think if you're.
Starting point is 01:40:44 I would just move. Safety was in jeopardy or you felt your safety was in jeopardy because of what was happening. It would be okay. And when you call the cops, are you really anonymous? I don't think so. I think they have caller ID because they call you right back if you hang out. They know who you are. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:02 They know who you are. Yes, they don't share. Eddie, that's good job. No, no, no. They got caller ID. I for sure do. Caller ID. But by anonymous means like they don't, they don't ever disclose.
Starting point is 01:41:13 They ask you your name when you call. You're missing the point. They don't share your name. Oh. That's anonymous. And you could, when they asked for your name, you could say anonymous. Oh, I didn't know that. But I mean, they would still know your number.
Starting point is 01:41:25 How does this play itself out here? What's happening? Man, I think I'm going to set up, so I'm going to try to take pictures of the car. Yeah. The next time it happened. Well, I don't know. I'm going to, you know, kind of do some research on that license plate, see if that person has any convictions for anything.
Starting point is 01:41:38 But then what? Like, what's the, how does this thing shake itself out? Man, eventually I just got to ask him, man. Let's go on. Yeah, like, what's going on over here? Like, what do you keep putting in your trash can of that? No, you cannot do that. He's going to feel threatened and have to knock you off.
Starting point is 01:41:51 Oh, like, you know. No. No. No. I have lived. Coming for someone who's lived on many of streets with drug deals, it's just part of the culture. Of what?
Starting point is 01:42:04 Of where you choose to live. Really? So you just let it play out? I mean, for now, unless you feel like, like Bobby's saying, unless you feel a direct threat to your family, You just got to let them live their life because you don't want to get caught up in it. You don't want to get on their hit list. Boy, Amy is this obsessed with somebody killing her for telling you.
Starting point is 01:42:26 Yes, I am. There's been times where I've called on the radio and talked about stuff. And I've been like, I hope they don't listen. And then I'm like, I do look at the ratings, number one for drug dealers. Drug dealers, 18 to 49, we are crushing it. All right, so what are you going to do? Man, next time I see it, I'm going to go look in that trash can. There we go.
Starting point is 01:42:45 Now we have it. Now we have a good bit. Now we have a good bit. So don't grab it. No, no, just peek in. Just act like I'm throwing trash. Yeah, it's like my trash can. Yeah, I'll have my trash can is full.
Starting point is 01:42:56 And I'll go to his trash can and... What you should do, don't even look in. Just go to his trash can and dump it on top and see if somebody... See if somebody runs out and knocks it off. That's what you should do. That way you don't... Nothing's fishy. Just take...
Starting point is 01:43:07 Don't look in his trash. Oh, just take it and dump trash on top of it and then go back in your house and look out the window and see if someone comes and cleans it off. Okay. That way you'll know something's up. All right. That's a good idea. All right. There we go. We'll check back in with this as soon as we have an update.
Starting point is 01:43:19 Thank you. Shit. Let's talk to Mike in North Carolina. Mike, what's happening with you, man? Hey, what's going on, Bobby? How are you all? Appreciate you being on the show. What do you want to say? Oh, I just want to say that I remember you back when I'm in the military, and I remember you listening to you and your crew back in 2005, between 2005 and 8.
Starting point is 01:43:40 and now I'm in North Carolina I'm like oh man I got a call because it takes me back home listening to your voice and just hearing everything y'all talk about I appreciate that you know I've been the victim of some online bullying from some of Bachelor Nation recently
Starting point is 01:43:56 where their new thing to say is that my voice is very annoying oh man I don't only have an annoying voice even if I had a different voice I'd be like they have a point I just have a normal voice that's why it's hard to do an impression of me you have to really do my mannerism not so much my voice. So I appreciate that message, Mike.
Starting point is 01:44:15 It doesn't feel good getting bullied. Be honest with you. I forgot his name. One of your host, your co-host. Does he still like Tina Turner? Her lunchbox? Got to ask him. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 01:44:27 Yeah, lunchbox. Still my favorite of all time, dude. One day I'm going to meet her. One day I'm going to meet her somehow. You haven't met her yet? No, I don't know how we don't get this lined up. She should be in studio tomorrow. Even Mike is surprised.
Starting point is 01:44:39 She lives in, I think, Sweden. Oh, does she? They are Switzerland, something like that. Maybe Switzerland. Yeah. Okay, well, Mike, I appreciate that call, but thank you. Thank you. Are you in the military right now still?
Starting point is 01:44:51 Yeah, still in. All right, come on. Look at this guy here. Wow, Mike. Appreciate you, bud. Thank you very much. Well, thanks for calling, and I hope it feels even more like home to hear my voice right in your ear. How you feel about that, Mike?
Starting point is 01:45:04 Have a good one. Thank you. All right, yeah. There's nothing to say. All right, that's it. Amy, what's going on today? Um, not much. I think my dad has a doctor's appointment that I have to take him to and then some physical therapy. So really probably just him today. What about you? How times change? How things get reversed. Oh yeah. He takes you all as a kid, then you take him as an adult. No, he's, he'll make jokes. He's like, this is payback for all those diapers I had to change when you were a little. You know, like when I'm taking care of him, he'll say, and I'm like, dad, I was a baby. You were supposed to do that. So.
Starting point is 01:45:39 And I was like, honestly, how many diapers did you change? Let's get honest. You know? Yeah, you don't have to bring the honesty in with them. I know, it's fine. Dad, I love you. I'm happy to do any of this. But you don't have to make jokes about how you cared for me when I was a kid.
Starting point is 01:45:55 Like, you left. I was one year's old. I couldn't do anything. What about you? I am leaving here and going to Windy City Live. So I'm going to go do that show. I'm in Chicago. So I'm going to go do that show.
Starting point is 01:46:09 flyback tonight. So, I had a dinner last night here with a lot of the Chicago people and I'm gonna go to this show and I think that's it. Come back home. Cannot wait to be home.
