Starting point is 00:02:57 First time listening to the podcast. Well, welcome. There's a lot of stuff that you hear on this show that you don't get to hear on the normal show. They're still on? Still on? The caller's still on. This caller's been a hole for like 40 minutes. Awesome.
Starting point is 00:03:08 Just chilling. Hey, Melissa in Arkansas. Yes. Hi, Bobby. Sorry you had to hold so long. No, you're fine. I'm over here just playing before I go to work. It's my stress reliever.
Starting point is 00:03:21 What are you playing? Call of Duty, World War II. Yeah. Wow. Wow. That's pretty freaking cool. It is. Bones, I got you that for Christmas. It's like the only time. I have three kids.
Starting point is 00:03:34 I have a five-month-old, a three-year-old, and a five-year-old. So this is the only time I get to play. Well, look at you. Well, I appreciate you. Hold on. What do you want to say? Because, you know, we've talked about a lot of stuff today. What would you like to comment off from today's show? So, way back when I was a senior year, seven years ago, I met my husband.
Starting point is 00:03:54 He was my best friend for the longest time. And then out of nowhere he was like, do you want to date me or not? Just pick it and just figure it out and like tell me because if not, you know, I'm just going to move on. And I'm the type of person. I'd rather you be blunt and to the point I don't like people beating around the bush. I want you to tell me exactly what you think.
Starting point is 00:04:15 So I was like, all right, fine, we'll date. I went to basic and we got married. The rest of the time we got back and I've been married for seven years. And what she's talking about is we do this segment where It wasn't, well, it was a segment, really It was you sharing your life But it was inside of a segment Okay, I know
Starting point is 00:04:32 But it happened organically I wasn't like Yeah, I was like talking to this girl a little bit And I was like, you're on a date or nah Let me know And then Amy, you'll hear it later on Just went like it was the craziest thing She'd ever heard
Starting point is 00:04:46 Well, I mean You started slapping the table Oh, I know, I just thought it was so funny Yeah When Morgan number two read the text I couldn't believe it And then I'm picturing you writing it and I'm picturing the girl reading it,
Starting point is 00:04:58 and it just was funny to me. Yeah, I never heard from her. Still. I mean, honestly, I'm the type of person I read that you tell me what you think. Then, you know, just I'd rather get it to the point. I mean, and not only that, I guess that's why our marriage is, like, so great because I don't have to worry about him lying to me. He's going to tell me to the point what I need to know
Starting point is 00:05:21 or what he thinks about the certain situation. And we've always been that way. I mean, I guess it just works. It's better to work that way. I mean, Bobby, if you're that way, I mean, stay that way because that's whoever you marry or whoever you're with is going to appreciate that. And if they don't, they just need to, you know, get over it. On to the next, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Easy to say, because there's nothing. You'll hear. Well, listen, Melissa, I appreciate that call. Thank you very much. Thanks for holding. That's really cool. Love you. Not only that.
Starting point is 00:05:52 I've also dated people that are shorter than me. I was five foot and he was four eight. So, I mean, that didn't work out either. Yeah, he was really short. I couldn't wear heels. He got mad at me. That's why he broke up. Wow.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Look at that. Well, thank you very much. Appreciate it. Have a nice day. Good day at work. You too. I see you later. We talk about that later on the show, too, as we bring in the girl group and we deal breakers.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Deal breakers with dudes. That turned into a thing. So much, so much. Let me talk about your fifth thing podcast for a second. You good with that or no? Sure. So Amy does the Four Things podcast. and then what she does is now once a week
Starting point is 00:06:29 she gets so much feedback from this excellent podcast that she does a Q&A where people just ask questions. And I love it. And here it is. This is a couple things from the fifth thing podcast. Just search for four things with Amy Brown and you'll see this. Amy answered what line of work her husband's in now.
Starting point is 00:06:46 And so where does this clip out, Mike? I got it. Here it is. What do you want to say? Oh, okay, go ahead. It's post show pre-show. I can do whatever. You can stop me.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Go ahead. No, go ahead. I don't know what I recorded this. I don't know what all I said. I know the questions that were asked, but then I just start speaking. Okay, here we go. This is Amy talking about this. Getting out of the Air Force was really interesting for us.
Starting point is 00:07:07 A lot of his identity was in that. And I didn't really know how to handle it. I was like, come on, get over it. Get out. You're out of the Air Force. It's fine. No big deal. Well, he wanted to be in the Air Force since he was five years old.
Starting point is 00:07:18 So for him to get out was a really big deal. And I was not as sensitive to that as I should have been. but it was the best move for our family, for sure. That's cool. Do you sharing stuff like that? Yeah. That's Amy on the podcast. Now I'm talking to Amy now.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Okay, yeah. We're back to real time. Yeah. So check it out. It's four things with Amy Brown and she does a podcast, an extra one called The Fifth Thing. You like doing that one?
Starting point is 00:07:39 I do. It's fun seeing all the questions come in. I'm just trying to get to everybody's possible. And you never know when yours might show up. Oh. Oh, that's called a podcast T. Yeah. And he's like, you never know.
Starting point is 00:07:49 It may show up in the question Q&A one or it may show up in the real episode because I do an email shout out in that one. in the longer form. What'd you do yesterday? I did. I worked on podcast stuff. I had to take my daughter to the dentist.
Starting point is 00:08:02 I saw your Insta story. Yeah. I don't know if it was you at the dentist or her? Well, she was. She was laying, you didn't see the cartoon playing above? I was like being in a good dentist. I didn't know if it was you or her.
Starting point is 00:08:11 There's a cartoon playing above. Oh yeah, no. It was her and she has a cavity. But it's a baby tooth. But they still want to cap it. Oh, wow. Just let it cap it, right? Well, she said that she probably won't lose it for 18 more months
Starting point is 00:08:24 and it could be causing her pain. So we do X-rays, and it hurt her, like, to bite down on that little thing. Like, she's just not used to doing anything like that. It felt bad. But I got her a treat afterwards. Don't worry. Tough love. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Tough love. And then I got her cinnamon roll. Well, that's a little. I know. My husband's like, you got her sugar because she got a cavity. And I said, well, she did such a good job. Are you the easy one of the two? I'm way, we're actually talking about this the other day.
Starting point is 00:08:52 I'm way more laid back than I. I thought I was going to be. And my husband was like, yeah. Like, way more laid back. It's crazy how laid back. But I'm just like, you know, they're older. They've been through a lot. And it's like how, of course, we have rules. And I want to teach them well. And I want them to grow up and be good little humans. But I'm just not as strict as I thought I was going to be. Or is uptight. Is he? He's not uptight, but he's way more, he's an enforcer. And I still enforce. Like, I they don't walk all over me. He's the alpha male though.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Like to them, like in Haiti, like Pierre ran the orphanage, the man, like they listen to men more. Like, so like even just the presence of Ben, they start behaving better. And I'm like, what is this? And I call him out on it. And I'm like, just because he walks in the door
Starting point is 00:09:39 all of a sudden you're going to start acting better, you need to treat. Give me that level of respect, kids. We'll stop buying him cinnamon rolls. They might. And I tell him that. No, he gets some treats too. Like, I felt bad.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Like, she started and cry during the X-ray. So I was like, you want me to get you a treat when we're done? I'll get your treat. Nobody was getting me a treat. I didn't go with you. They do that thing where you put your eye up the thing and they go, puss in your eye. Yeah, it's the worst.
Starting point is 00:10:03 And I know it. Here's what I do. I put my chin down on the thing, right? I put my chin down on it and I look in the hole. One of my eyes doesn't even work. One of my eyes works wonderfully. And so I put my bad eye up to it. Put my chin on the thing.
Starting point is 00:10:15 I'm looking in the hole. And they're like trying to get it. And they can't get it because my eye won't focus because it doesn't work. It has such a severe astigmatism that it's in my brain, it's not even in my eye. And so they're like, we can't get it to connect. And so then they go, it's going to blow in three, two,
Starting point is 00:10:29 and I know it's coming. So I close my eyes before it goes, and they're like, sir, you can't close your eyes before the blow. Yeah. And I'm like, but that's my thing. And so then I do, we finally get it where I have to hold it open. It's like that friend's episode where Jennifer Anderson can't score the visine in her eye. So they're all like, so I do the other one.
Starting point is 00:10:47 And I'm like, okay, here it comes. Close. And then do it, do it. And then I do it again. I do that. And then it gets the same thing. they get a piece of paper and they go, well, your left eye is good. It's gotten a little worse since last time, but it's still okay.
Starting point is 00:11:01 And every birthday is going to get a little worse, Bobby, just so you know. Oh, boy. Oh, they try to phrase it that way? Yeah. Every birthday. And then they go, your right eye, there's nothing we can do. And I'm like, I know, I go to this every time. But there's like, you know, we could give it a really thick, thick, thick, thick lens.
Starting point is 00:11:16 But it only get like 3% better, even with a super thick lens. Do you want that? I'm like, no, my whole life, no, eyes never worked. They put a pirate patch on me yesterday and made me take a test. And it was like flashbacks. Bad memories. Yeah. From when you had to.
Starting point is 00:11:29 Because I had to wear a pirate patch from like when I was like six years old. Got the crab beat out of me. Nobody offered me a cinnamon roll. Hey, I'm sorry. If I had been there, I would have helped you. Do you know if you order dessert first, you could lose weight at dinner? Do you see that story? What?
Starting point is 00:11:44 Yeah. Tell me more. Yeah, why? It's funny you bring up cinnamon rolls. This study says that if you order dessert first, it could actually help you lose weight whenever you're at dinner. What do you do you like I don't understand appetizers or bread as appetizer. Why do I want to eat something that's going to fill me up that's not even that good?
Starting point is 00:12:01 Because by the time the main meal comes, I'm more full. I can understand if I'm bored that I eat little things. That's a good point. I love getting appetizers, but the thing that gets me as if we're at a Mexican restaurant is chips and salsa. Like I end up eating so much because the salsa is so good. And yeah, you fill up on that. And don't you want people to order more food? Like you give them all these chips and salsa for free.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Yes, you don't want to carve up Before it's time to order Right As a restaurant you would think that A new study found that ordering dessert first Might help you lose weight You know it's bad for you So end up eating less of everything else to compensate
Starting point is 00:12:33 Oh So it's kind of cutting your losses Like you know you're gonna eat bad Okay I mean if that works for some people Researchers monitored what people ate And it changed up how desserts were offered Sometimes they let people choose the dessert first
Starting point is 00:12:47 Before they grab their meal Sometimes they didn't offer it till the meal over the course of four days, 70% of people consume fewer calories when they dessert it first. 70%. I'm going to try that today. One of the options was cheesecake. When people ordered it first, they consume an average of 250 fewer calories. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:13:04 Yeah, give me the pie and then I'll order. I love desserts. I have such a sweet tooth. So good. Yeah. So I can't keep sweets in my house. The only, yeah, I know it's hard. Wait until you get kids.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Wait until you get kids and they have a birthday. Yeah. It's a game changer. Like my pantry is full of stuff that even it's not like necessarily bad, but like popcorn and kettle corn. Like I used to be able to get by without having snacky snacks in the pantry. Snacky snacks. You want to snacky snacks? But now we have to have snacks and it's like, ugh, can't stop eating the snacks.
Starting point is 00:13:38 And they're for the kids. We even put them in little, okay, so this is what I do. So just so that they won't over snack because they'll go into a bag and end up just eating and eating. And I'm like, okay, when we get a new bag of kettle corn or pot. popcorn or whatever. They have those little snack-sized Ziploc bags, and I have them fill up, and that's the serving size, and then we have a big bucket we put them in. But they're kid size, you know? And sometimes I want popcorn. It's all grab like six snack-sized bags, and I open them all up, and I pour them into a bowl, and then I take the bowl with me. And I'm like, I'm the one,
Starting point is 00:14:08 and then they'll go, and they'll be like, Mom, we're out of snacks. And I'm like, y'all already ate them all. But then it was me. No, I mean, I don't realize, like, oh, wow, I'm the one that caused it. Like, ugh. No more snacks. Are you getting any more kids? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:14:23 No. I have a thought. Off air, I'll share with you, but it's... Huh. It's not for sharing right now. Who has kids fast? Who has another kid faster? Amy or me?
Starting point is 00:14:34 Ooh. I don't... Probably you, dude. I'd say you, Bones. You know, I don't have a girlfriend, right? Right, but there could be an accident. I'm not having sex with anybody. Right, but all it takes is one.
Starting point is 00:14:46 time. I haven't had to do one time. Do you believe in miracles? I believe in the 1980 U.S. Olympian. That's what I'm saying. So, you know, I mean, you probably will. I don't think I, I don't want a birth one. I used to want to for a long, long time, but it seems like a lot
Starting point is 00:15:02 of work right now. So, but I mean, I could see us maybe adopting another. From Haiti? Yeah, I mean, there's a story behind it. I'll share with you later. Well, you brought it back up. I was, yeah. I was making sure you knew I didn't, because Eddie was talking about it just takes one time because I could get pregnant. I mean, I could. Yeah. I could.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Collie, that'd be crazy. I mean, geriatric pregnancy. Have you tested to see if you still can get pregnant? No, I haven't. No, I'm not going, I left that behind me. I've left the fertility doctors behind me. We went through all that, you know? That seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it? It does. And it was. I mean, it was such a long time ago. It was like the chapters of Amy was getting married. Birth control. Moving away. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Oh, yeah. With her husband, because she was gone and he was going to go live in North Carolina. Well, we want to adopt. Finding these kids. It took five years to get them here.
Starting point is 00:16:03 That whole process. For five years. She had an end date. Got them here. Holy crap. I can't believe they're here. She took time off. Now it's like,
Starting point is 00:16:13 it's kind of no. I mean, it's taken like eight years to normalize. I thought while that whole adoption process was going on, I was like, is there a chance that Amy could be making this whole thing up? Like, it took so long. It did. And Amy would just get so frustrated, like, the whole process. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:29 The crazy part is if we hadn't developed certain relationships, this is what I think about sometimes. I'm like, that helped us speed things up a little bit. I was thinking how we've had them for a year. Over Christmas, we celebrated a year. like at this point right now we might be celebrating a couple months if it hadn't have been sped up so
Starting point is 00:16:53 Mike did you get any feedback about your girlfriend yesterday? She'd hear that? Yeah. What should you think about that? Oh yeah. She'd be in trouble? No, I ain't getting in trouble when we're talking about it.
Starting point is 00:17:01 That's something I don't miss though about having a girlfriend is getting in trouble for saying stuff because I would rather get in trouble and have a girlfriend. Don't get me wrong. But holy cow because I just say everything anyway.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Because you were putting it out there. Yeah. What'd she say? No, she listened to it And then I was like, yeah, they made some pretty good points. So we talked about being your parents. So now you're going to say you talked about sharing the covers. No.
Starting point is 00:17:25 You talk about that? Yeah. All right. All right. Good time. But it was good. Yeah. I'm in trouble.
Starting point is 00:17:31 We just wait. Oh, yeah. It'll come. I think we've all been in trouble at some point. Mm-hmm. And bad. Listen, I's getting trouble all the time because I'll be like, once show starts, it's showtime, baby. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:42 I mean, we've gotten in trouble. My husband's wanted to come up to the station and punch lunchbox in the face. That's happened with a couple of co-hosts. I am, now whatever. Jill's old, her husband now. They're still married? Yeah, they're still married.
Starting point is 00:17:56 He was going to come beat up lunchbox one day too. He was leaving voicemails, right? Yeah, he was leaving voicemails, telling me, who do you think you are talking to my girlfriend like that? I will beat your, blah, blah, blah. And I was like, oh, this must be some kind of joke. And then here comes a text message. This ain't no joke.
Starting point is 00:18:10 Oh, okay. Yeah. He definitely even laid the foundation for, You know, awesome relationship. Man, why do people always want to punch the lunchbox? Oh, well, I mean, it was just want to hate because I'm great. You know, you've matured a little bit. This was years ago.
Starting point is 00:18:25 And I can't believe you guys let your spouses get you in trouble. It shows who wears the pants in your relationship. No, we weren't actually, I think I was still dating him at the time. It wasn't, they were defending us, just like Jill's boyfriend at the time. And then my husband now, like they were, lunchbox was saying really, if anybody talked to you that way, you would want them to be like, okay. dude, you need to stop. Yeah, I remember Lunchbox came to the house. All you guys came to the house one time,
Starting point is 00:18:50 and Lunchbox just started trash talking about my kids. At your house? No, on air, on air. And my wife was like, what? We are never having him over again, ever. He was trash talking to your kids? Yeah, talking about how they were annoying and they wouldn't let him do stuff.
Starting point is 00:19:06 At your house? At my house. They were jumping all over, which wasn't true at all. And my wife got so upset. Like, we're not friends with him. Like, he will not come up. anymore. That changed, obviously, but...
Starting point is 00:19:18 Look at that. I can't believe Bobby, you let girls get you in trouble. I mean, you're the guy and you tell him, no, listen, like, I'm not in trouble. You, if you don't like it. Well, Bobby would bring the fights fresh to the air. It would be like a fight and he would just hold off. And then the next morning he'd be like, so, I got a five with my girlfriend and here's everything that happened.
Starting point is 00:19:36 And he'd be like... Back in the early day, I used to put them on too immediately. And we fight on the air. And he would call them, yes. And then he'd be like, call 87777. and I mean, it was like too many people involved. You know? It's a whole thing.
Starting point is 00:19:48 It's a whole thing. They don't. They don't. But it's always when you date somebody, and I haven't, I guess I really haven't dated anyone even halfway serious since Lindsay, right? Right. Like even a quarter of the way serious. So there hasn't been a scenario where if I talk about something, I'm like, oh, I don't
Starting point is 00:20:08 ever not talk about it as much, but I just brace for impact whenever I leave. Yeah. And I don't look at my phone. Yeah, not during the show. not during that segment. If I'm going to talk about something, I know someone is, you know, and I also don't talk about people
Starting point is 00:20:20 unless they're like in. You know? Mm-hmm. And I don't, yeah, anyway. That's a lot of pain. Yeah, so, Mike, D, your time will come. Our point is, just wait for it. Just wait for it.
Starting point is 00:20:33 Just wait for it. We're good. Everything's going good there? Yeah, it's all good. All right. I didn't get much sleep last night. Why? Why?
Starting point is 00:20:38 Two hours. There was no reason. I'm healthy, though, But I didn't sleep. I get this anxiety of my neck. I mean, you say you're healthy, but they're going to be. But I'm healthy. Like I've gotten over my illness. Right.
Starting point is 00:20:50 You're not sick of your allergies. Yeah. Yeah, I'm healthy. What do you mean? I'm not saying I'm healthy. Well, because some people say that your rapid heart rate and your lack of sleep and stuff is as. I mean, super health. My heart's great.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Okay. Good. While I lay in bed and it just goes for no reason. Sounds healthy. I had a good day yesterday. Day was fine. We didn't get it. Got my eye blown on.
Starting point is 00:21:12 No significant eye long. FaceTime on a couple listeners, went to yoga, did the whole thing. There's no reason for me to have this. Anyway, all right, we're done. We good? Yeah, sorry for your losses. Of what? The girls.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Oh, yeah. Are we still doing? Is this post-show-free show? Yeah. Wednesday show already. All right, we'll see you. Here's Tuesday show. Thank you, goodbye.

That comes out this weekend. Yeah, this weekend. Avengers in game next month is expected to have $265 million in the debut,

Starting point is 00:22:44 Netflix, you know how they give you the recommended show or the new show? Is that that that cartoon bear? That's Paddington. This is called Paddleton. It has Ray Romano and that Mark Duplis who has done a bunch of stuff. Okay. Is it good? Ooh, it's dark. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Well, yes, it was fantastic, but it was slow. And so it's about two friends, they've had some bad luck and got divorced and stuff. And they live in an apartment complex next to each other. And one of them gets cancer. Oh. It's so slow. But then you watch it and you, I mean, as you, would say 11, 100 times, all the feels.
Starting point is 00:23:17 All the feels. I don't say that, but I was like, ooh, I finished it and I was like, man, I had to watch like four episodes of the office just to like cleanse myself of being sad. Padleton? Yeah. I don't know that I'll watch it. What? It's so.
Starting point is 00:23:29 I'm okay. I can handle dark. Amy, your mom had cancer, though, and daddy cancer? I don't know if you, I don't know if it's right. Ooh, you don't watch it alone. Okay. Because you'll, you'll, you'll, it won't. It won't.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Oh, it won't be good. My husband will not want to watch that. He hates feeling things. You only feel sad, but you feel grateful at the same time. Don't, nobody watch that movie. That sounds crazy. It's called Paddleton. Do not watch it.
Starting point is 00:23:58 I liked it. After it was over, I loved it. As I was watching, I don't know that I liked it that much. You ever do that? You ever do that movie? And you're like, I'm not quite sure if I like this, but then when it's over, like the whole thing, like... You can't stop thinking about it. You're like, oh, that thing really move me.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Do you guys ever do that movie? Yes. No. Okay. I'm not the only crazy one. No, no, no, no, no. All right. Hey, Tanya in Indiana.

Starting point is 00:26:01 The Bobby Bones Show Big Three Stories Let's go over to our producer Ramundo who is in the glass room with the news and his microphone Ramundo what you got over there Yeah 90210 star Luke Perry died at the age of 52
Starting point is 00:26:13 after suffering a major stroke. In other news, to help out those affected in the South by the recent tornadoes, just go to Red Cross.org to help out. And finally, Subaru's making a recall. If your brake lights are not lighting up properly, definitely getting checked out. You know, tight jeans are cutting off your circulation really bad? I mean, I can see how that happens from time to time.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Well, now it's going, hey, even worse than you think. Wearing a tie for men and also tight pants, just for women, but also wear jeans. kind of, are my jeans now tight? Amy, you look. I think about these. Are these tight or now? They're not too tight.
Starting point is 00:26:49 They're not too tight. They're skinny jeans. Yeah, those are really tight. Oh. You think those are tight? Can you bend down? Like, squat. I can squat.
Starting point is 00:26:59 Lunchbox just wants to see you squat. You wait. No? Okay. No, what I want to know is if they're so tight you can't squat, then you have a problem. No, no. None of my pants are so tight.
Starting point is 00:27:09 I can't squat at first. What you do is you put them on and you squat a bunch of times in order to untitin them. The frog. You do that? Wow. Some of the clothes that I have to wear for American Idol, they're so tight. And I...
Starting point is 00:27:22 Yeah. Yeah. Some of the pants I get put in, they're really tight pants. So why are they putting you in such a tight pants? Because it's on TV? That's trendy. Oh, trendy. It's cool.
Starting point is 00:27:32 It's cool. So, but yeah, if you wear a tight, it says that it cuts body, your blood-floated body, constricts your veins. Can fatigue you quicker and you may not realize it if you're on work, if you're on tight clothes. it can be extremely dangerous from anyone suffering from high blood pressure because the circulation is cut off as much as 10%. Okay. Are your pants tight? I mean, all the time tight.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Now I'm like making sure that I'm not cutting off my circulation. I mean, they fit me well. Depends on what I've eaten the days prior. I know. Me too. Do you ever eat? Sometimes I eat and I can just feel that milk. Yes, and I can't wait to shake.
Starting point is 00:28:06 Yeah. Okay, that's not a weird thing. No. Okay. No. And I can see the meal like in my stomach. Yeah, I get that way sometimes, you know, like, what did I do differently? But I guess it just maybe sometimes I'm thinking if it was high in sodium and it just, blah.
Starting point is 00:28:19 Buh. All right, ate too much. I'm the same. Do you feel like the way lunchbox is or not? No, I feel good. I've never been able to see my food, but I can feel the, like, if you eat a, like, you go to the buffet, you feel your stomach expand. But, I mean, it just looks like a big old belly, like, man, satisfied. I went out to dinner with lunchbox like a couple weeks ago, and we ate so much.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Like, we ate to where I felt like I need to unbutton my pants. We ordered everything on the menu. And we left. And I'm like feeling so gross. And lunchbox was like, that was just right. I feel great. I feel so awesome. And I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:28:53 How are our body so different? And we ate a lot. We ate a lot. I was surprised that we could eat that much. Yeah. I couldn't. I was about to pop. But then he was like, I could probably eat some more.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Feel great. I'm like, okay. Do you eat until you start to feel full or until you're just like so full that it hurts? Since we were, because I did, we were at my favorite restaurant, which I don't get to go to, but like maybe once or twice a year because we were in California. So I ate it up. The vegan place? Yeah. It's my favorite.
Starting point is 00:29:23 Is that count, though, if you're eating vegan foods? Yes. It was so good. You fill up and like five minutes later, you're like hungry. Yes, it was organic and plant-based, but it still is so amazing. I guess so it depends. If I'm having an experience, yes, I eat until I'm full. If it's just okay, I'm going to eat until, you know.
Starting point is 00:29:41 What do you eat until? It's all the way. All the way. All the way. We shouldn't do that. Yeah, we shouldn't. That's an American thing where we take for granted how much food we have. Really?
Starting point is 00:29:51 Oh, yeah. But why would you not? You're hungry until you're not hungry anymore. But what we do is we eat until we're over full, until we're just like, oh. I have friends that like that. Like they have it in their plate and they're like, they take a few bites and they're like, okay, I'm full. And I'm like, what? They might be full.
Starting point is 00:30:08 They really, I know. I think they legitimately are listening to their body and I'm like, and I'm like, we should listen to our bodies. Bobby Bonds. Hey, Nicolette. Hey, Bobby. You good?
Starting point is 00:30:20 I'm good. How are you? I'm good. Thanks for calling. What's going on? So I've been listening to the show since May of 2013 when I graduated college,
Starting point is 00:30:28 and I just wanted to tell you guys I listen to it every day and even when I go on vacation, I listen to it later. Oh, wow. And I listen to Bobby and Amy's podcast. Oh, thank you. Well, I appreciate that.
Starting point is 00:30:40 I do a... And, Amy, I have a... my toilet I have my temper and joy shirt on right now. Oh, awesome.
Starting point is 00:30:45 Amy does a show called Four Things where what's on your last podcast? Your husband's back?
Starting point is 00:30:51 Yeah, we talk about love. Oh. Mm-hmm. And go into like our story where it
Starting point is 00:30:58 began when he first said he loved me. And we talk about weighing yourself. Like, if you should
Starting point is 00:31:03 be weighing yourself every day or you should throw away the scale. I got a new scale.
Starting point is 00:31:07 It's so legit. Well, then you didn't listen in the podcast. This scale, you have to come to my house to see it. What is so awesome about it? I can't even tell you have to come see
Starting point is 00:31:15 my scale at my house. You are going to flip your shoot. Wait, what does it do? I can't tell you right now. You can come over and I'll show you. We can do it. Why can't get on it? Because I just committed to not weigh myself. Trust me. You'll want to get on this scale. I put my pinky on it. It's the most legit scale. Because I weigh myself like 10 times a day.
Starting point is 00:31:35 Why? Yeah, I don't know. I'm just like, let me see let me see what I weigh in the morning. I just want to know. Does it lie to you? something? What does it do? Does it tell you things? We'll hold that for another time. Oh, it isn't it? No. Yeah, that's Amies. And mine's about music and I do interviews and lunchbox Eddie and Ray Mundo have a sports podcast too, if anyone's out there and they want to hear sports. So that happens every day. It's called the
Starting point is 00:31:58 Soor Losers podcast. So yeah, we're trying to do shows even after this show. Nicolette, what are you doing today? I'm just cleaning the house and doing grocery shopping. Yeah. That's exciting. I don't know. Some people like gross shopping. Yeah. Yeah, I do. I enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:32:13 Sometimes it's reason to get out of the house. Therapeutic. Do you take the kids with you? Oh, go ahead, Nicolette. I like it when they have the products that I want. What do you mean? Like, sometimes you go to the store and you really want, like, a flavored water, and then they don't have that flavor, and then you get there and you're so bummed out.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Yeah, I prefer to go when they have what I need as well. Is that a thing? They always have what I need. I get a cereal? Bread. I give my milk. I get my... I was just trying to back her up, you know?
Starting point is 00:32:40 Like, it's a huge. huge waste of time if you go all the way store and they don't have it. Nicolette, thank you very much for calling. Appreciate you talking about our podcasts. You're welcome. Have a good day. All right. See you later.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Amy's just called Four Things with Amy Brown. Mine's called the Bobbycast and the dudes have one called the sore losers. You guys are out of flour today? No sugar. How about this? The food in person that you're most likely to dream about. What do you think the food does you dream about most? They had 30,000 people talk about their dreams.
Starting point is 00:33:09 What food is dreamt about the most? Man, probably for me, for me, for anybody. For, in general. In general. Pizza. Okay. Is that it? It's chocolate.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Oh, so good. I don't have to dream about it. I live it. And the person you're most likely to have in your dreams is? Your significant other? No, your mother. In your dreams, chocolate and your mom are the people that you dream the most about. Wow.
Starting point is 00:33:38 I don't remember dreams. Well, if you're dreaming, No, because you only have a certain amount of time from when you wake up to remember. Like, you have to wake up almost right in the middle of a dream to remember it. Okay. I don't even have dreams. Well, you, we dream. Sometimes, my dreams are nightmares.
Starting point is 00:33:53 Oh. I don't have any dreams. Yeah, that's, yours are intense. I don't have nightmares. Ever? No. No. No.
Starting point is 00:34:00 It's pretty nice. Is that even worth living? Do you even appreciate the good nights and be all the terrible ones? I don't have nightmares, but there's something that's in your brain. Like, you have something going on. I wake up in like neck, my neck pounding sweats. Just like, ugh. Sometimes I have those dreams where you think you're falling, you know, and then you.
Starting point is 00:34:19 Oh, yeah. And then you, you jump. You ever hit the ground? In the dream? Yeah. No, do you? I don't know, but the urban legend was if you hit the ground, you're dead in real life. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Oh, okay. I thought you were true. I thought that was real life. It's like the Momo challenge. Everybody talks about it, but no one's ever actually seen the Mo Mo. Okay. I have a funny one where, like, I'm. baking something and the alarm goes off and the food's ready, but it's really my alarm to get up.
Starting point is 00:34:44 You love food that much. Yeah. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Dustin Lynch shared on Instagram that he's dropping three new songs since Friday. They're called Ride in Rhodes, Red Dirt, Blue Eyes, and Little Town Living. Dan and Shea surprised a bride and groom on Saturday by crashing their wedding. It was set up by the bride's father.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Here's them performing speechless at the wedding. I'm speechless Staying out to stand in there What is doing to me The secret The whole thing will go down to The New Zealand music festival lineup At Nissan Stadium was announced
Starting point is 00:35:29 Kelsey Ballerini, Dirk Smith-Ley, Little Big Town Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Marion Morris, Thomas Wrett, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are among some of the headliners The whole thing will go down June 6th through 9th. I'm Morgan number two, that's your skinny.
Starting point is 00:35:42 It's time for the good news. With Bobby Tell me something We created a new weight room worth $70,000 to his local school What he did is he wrote a check for $45,000 And then he agreed to a marketing deal With a local fitness company To get a discount on the other half of the equipment
Starting point is 00:36:00 And the installation And this school is known for not having a lot of money Or having a really good weight room And athletes at this high school Will now train on good equipment Which can maybe improve their chances of winning Or going to college maybe going pro, probably not that,
Starting point is 00:36:14 but, you know, at least getting a heads up on the rest. The guy's name is Lighten Banderess. Oh, yeah, he's good. It's a rookie. He was a rookie. Last year, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's really good, too. No cowboys. It makes me think of, we were watching Friday Night Lights recently, and there was
Starting point is 00:36:30 the episode where the coach got the kids at the school he just started going to. They had, like, no money, and their uniforms were horrible, and he got them new uniforms, and when they walked in the locker room and saw him hanging up, like the whole, demeanor of the team changed. Like, they just felt like this sense of
Starting point is 00:36:46 pride and all of a sudden they got out there and they played differently. And then that episode made me think of when Bobby bought uniforms for his football team growing up. They won the next year. See, there's something to it. Just taking pride. Yes, knowing that I think what it does is it shows,
Starting point is 00:37:02 okay, wow, people believe in us. We better get out there and represent and then they feel pride and something comes out in them and they play better. To be fair, my high school, again, I went to a very poor school. But the uniforms were the same ones we had used since I was in high school. And even then they weren't even new. And so, but they had to quit football because we didn't have enough players. Oh yeah, that's right. It got down to they only had like 10 players on the
Starting point is 00:37:25 whole team. And so they had to quit the season. And they also didn't have uniforms so no one was playing because he wants to go play in old uniforms and a small. And so I bought the team uniforms, home and away in pants. And then they had like 20 kids the next season. And they like finished second in conference. Love it. It's really cool. Yeah. I forgot about that. I forgot they won. And they didn't even, you know, they held me up above their head after the final game. None of your name.
Starting point is 00:37:48 None of that happened. All right, that's what it's all about. That's good news. Shout out to this dude right here making a difference back in his hometown. Bobby Boneshow. Boney up the day. This story comes us from Butler County, Ohio. A couple was arrested after they showed up at the sheriff's station to pay a parking ticket.
Starting point is 00:38:06 Only problem is they parked in a handicapped spot. They're not handicapped. And they also had stolen goods. they'd been on a stealing spree in the last couple days and they had it all in the back seat. Wow, so they had hot items and they parked in an illegal spot. At the sheriff's station. At the sheriff's station, huh? Wow.
Starting point is 00:38:25 Yeah, the odds are they were going to get caught, right? Yeah. So the sheriff went out, was writing up a ticket, and they started arguing, then they look at the stuff in the back. And then they argued. And so they're now facing numerous charges. Wow. Oh, man. I'm lunchboxed.
Starting point is 00:38:39 That's your bonehead story of the day. That was just a matter of time. If they didn't get caught for that, something would have. People that make those dumb-up decisions also make really dumb other decisions, they would have been caught. There you go. Where was that?
Starting point is 00:38:51 Do you know? Butler County, Ohio. Yeah, sounds about right. I have no idea. If you live in Butler County, I have no idea. All right, thank you, lunchbox. Come on, y'all. Sure, buddy, and mine.
Starting point is 00:39:04 Mr. Bobby bones. We'll go over to lunchbox. It is now time for a baby box update. Baby box update. Ha, guys, seven months in and baby box has finally moved out. That's right. He's out of our room. Finally, seven months later, I convinced my wife it's time for him to sleep in his crib, in his own room.
Starting point is 00:39:39 We built this whole nursery for a reason. That's where he's supposed to stay. Has he been in there at all? No. Not even to hang out. Well, to change his diaper. That's it? He doesn't get to go in there and hang out.
Starting point is 00:39:50 We don't ever leave him in there. We don't do anything in there except for change his diaper until this past Saturday when I convinced my wife, tonight is the night. And we put him in there. Was he sleeping next to the bed? About three inches from the bed. In a crib. In a bassinet thing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:07 Yes. And so he'd wake up and she would just grab him? Grab him. She was like, it's just so much easier. He's right there. You can grab him. He wakes up in the middle of the night. Yes, it's going to be annoying that you have to go down the stairs to get him or whatever.
Starting point is 00:40:18 But listen, it is so. much better you can be relieved. You don't have to stress. You don't hear every little noise. Do you have the microphone set up? You've got the little baby monitor so you can hear them. So there is nothing wrong. But I am so excited we have had a couple of nights of him
Starting point is 00:40:34 in his own room. Guys, I never thought it was going to happen. I love my kid and guys. People are going to be like, oh my gosh, you need to enjoy. I enjoy the little moments, but this is a little moment that I am enjoying. But were you getting up with the kid even in your room? No. But I would
Starting point is 00:40:50 hear him. Like when he makes noises, you hear him. You don't sleep as well because you do hear his noises or if he's snoddy, snuffling. He makes noises. You hear that and it interrupts your sleep. And so now he's out. And how did you sleep the first night? He wasn't in the bed. Like a champion. Oh, you did? Like a champion. I mean, it is. You weren't worried? Weren't worried at all. My wife, yes, a couple times got up in the middle of night. Make sure he's okay. But I'm like, he'll cry when he needs something. And he did cry, you know, three in the morning, he cries. And you got up?
Starting point is 00:41:20 She got up and went down there. So yes. So you never get up in the middle of the night to help the baby? I mean, not really, because I got to work earlier than her. Okay. But doesn't she keep the baby until she goes to work? Yes. I mean, I would understand that if you took the baby when you got up
Starting point is 00:41:38 and then she had a little time to sleep, but I haven't to worry about it, that would make sense. Yeah, I'm just trying to justify it, but I think I have good logic. I go to work earlier, so I need to sleep more. Okay. But he's gone. Baby's out of the room. Yeah, he moved out. What's it mean?
Starting point is 00:41:52 Baby number two is coming. Oh, I didn't think about that. Wow. Oh, does it? Eddie, you think that hasn't been going on for seven months? No, not with a baby right next to him. Seven months? No.
Starting point is 00:42:02 Oh, it has. See, how world you're living in. Oh, baby don't know. Yeah, baby don't know. Baby don't know what that is. Okay. There you go. And there's your baby box update.
Starting point is 00:42:11 Baby don't know what that is. Baby Box Update. The Bobby Bones Show. You know what they call. Country Music's youngest historians. That's right. That's why we do this segment. I love country music.
Starting point is 00:42:22 The Bobby Bones Show on this day in country music. The Dixie Chicks have the number one song in Country Music in 1999 with the song You Were Mine. Sometimes I wake up crying. You can have been one of them. What? Yeah. What pride does she have to take your love away when we're going to? For so long you were mine.
Starting point is 00:42:57 They actually wrote the song, they get this. 1999, when it was number one, they wrote it back in 1995. It was the song that led them to bring in Natalie Mains as the new lead singer. They said, hey, Natalie, will you sing the vocals of the demo of this song? Which is when you just write it
Starting point is 00:43:10 and you got to record before you go into the studio with it. And so she comes on and she sings it as the demo singer, they were so impressed by her vocals that she went on to replace the original lead singer, Laura Lynch. Oh, wow. So with Natalie, The sound, yeah, that's the Dixie Chicks.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Laura Lynch, I don't even know she existed. This song is what actually created the Dixie Chicks. Wow. Now, way later did it become a hit, but this is the one that actually bonded them together. Isn't that crazy? Yeah. Yeah, it's the song where Natalie Mayn's first thing with them, and then four years later became a number one hit. You were mine. One of years ago today, and that's on this day of country music.
Starting point is 00:43:50 That was. On this day in country music. There you go. Speaking of country music stuff, how's the. exhibit going because I got to take my kids. Well, today, thank you for asking. I like Christensen. Thank you very much for asking.
Starting point is 00:44:04 They open up an exhibit today at the Country Music Hall of Fame that has me in it. I have like my own little exhibit, which are crazy. Okay, yeah. So I'm taking the kids this weekend. Mike's got like a microphone, some of my headphones, dancing with the stars jacket. It's got a bunch of like random stuff from last year because they do at the country music call of fame something called like the currents and things that have happened. a big in country music in the last few years.
Starting point is 00:44:28 So another question. Do you go? Look at it? Today we have the big press conference. Okay. So I'll be there. Dan and Shay will be there. A couple other artists will be there.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Oh, well, that's cool. We go and we like, yeah. Who goes to the press conference? I have no idea. Did you guys get invited? Yeah, we got invited. Oh, we did? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Oh, that's a thing? Let's go. Oh, I didn't see it. What time is it? Is that true? Do you know about this morning number two? Yeah, we got an invite for it. Oh, who knew?
Starting point is 00:44:54 On the where? On the interweb? On the email. At www. At www. Invite.com. Okay. Bobby boom.
Starting point is 00:45:02 Here's a text that we just got in. This is, I feel like Eddie's had bad experiences with service people because he's never worked in the service industry. He's the problem. Not everyone else. They don't even know your story yet, Eddie. Yeah, that's crazy. But I agree.
Starting point is 00:45:15 And that's true. I have not worked in the industry. Go ahead. So it's Saturday night, right? And we're going out to eat. And the waitress is fine. She's like really not. making jokes and everything and then we eat and then we get the bill and we take time with a bill and
Starting point is 00:45:29 like I didn't you know it was me it was my family and lunchbox family we hadn't really seen each other in a while so we're talking and when it takes us a while to pay for the bill then her demeanor changes a little bit like just like okay she cleans up to the table and everything like all right you guys just take your time take your time take your time and they're like all right thank you and then she comes back and then she just kind of like hovers the table and waits and then we finally pay for the meal and we decided just hang out and talk for a little bit talking like 15, 20 minutes. And then she just straight ignores us.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Like, my wife wanted a to go cup. It ignores us. You guys already paid, though, huh? We did. We already paid, and she just kept coming by, like, okay, is there anything else? No, okay, well, then she kept giving us a look like, okay, then get up, get up, like, let's, she cleared the whole table. Wait, you're assigning a look. Oh, you can feel the look, and she cleaned everything off the table.
Starting point is 00:46:16 I hear my looks get felt. And I'm given, and I'm not really giving a look that people think. Oh, you think, well, it was the demeanor. So I'm thinking like, okay, like, all right, I know what it is. Go ahead. And in my mind, I've made up the scenario. She wants us to leave because she wants more customers to come in. That means more tips for her.
Starting point is 00:46:33 I get it. But it's Saturday night and we're hanging out. Oh, on a Saturday night, too, you guys are doing that? Oh. That's the experience of the restaurant, right? Like, you go and you eat and then you have some community time. Here you go. Bottom line, the customer's always right.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. You're not. Oh. Like a little bit, you got to look into you and go, what would I want to happen to me? Like, she's probably got to pay rent a car payment. And the longer you guys sit there, the lesser that she's able to have that with. I know for me that whenever people would sit on me and I could turn over that table and have another tip, that would help me so much. Especially on a weekend on a Saturday night when it's like people's only weekend to go out.
Starting point is 00:47:15 You're not wrong. Let me say this. You're not wrong. People's only weekend to go out. You're not wrong. However, to have a bit of empathy for someone. you'd have to work in the service industry didn't know that though.
Starting point is 00:47:26 I would never do that because I did it. I needed that table to roll over. Maybe it's the human in me where I kind of wish she would just say, all right guys, time to go. You can't say that. Well, then don't change your mood. She was like making jokes with us at the beginning.
Starting point is 00:47:41 What if something happened to her? You all have no idea. Like what if she went in the back and got a really awful text? Dumped. Yeah, I was like maybe she got dumped. She found out bad news and then that changed her demeanor.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Bottom line is, you're right. That's it. You're right. Because the customer? The customer's right. However, I think if you had worked in service before, you wouldn't act like that, especially if you waited a table. You wouldn't act like that because you know, once you're done, you got about 10 minutes max and you need to move on, especially if there are people waiting to get a table. Oh, yeah, was it busy? If there's nobody waiting as maddened, look. Oh, wait. I know where y'all were, I think. Because I saw Eddie Park about parking in front of a fire hydrant. I recognize. it and that place. Boy, you're just nailing being a good dude. Lots of questions I had. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:28 I was doubting myself. And I was like, oh my gosh, I know where y'all are eating. And that place is always busy on Saturday night. If it had been a Tuesday and there'd have been nobody waiting, it wouldn't have been near as big of a deal. So we can have a long dinner. Absolutely. It's just again, if someone, let's like the bathroom. Let me use this as an example. Oh, good one. I need good one. Wait, what? If there's a line of people waiting outside the bathroom when you go into the bathroom, you kind of do your business, watch your hands and get out. If there's nobody, you can and fix your hair, make it the evening in the bathroom. If you want to floss your teeth in the bathroom, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:48:58 But because there are people waiting, and there's no rule on how long you can stay in the bathroom. Like you're in the bathroom first. It's your bathroom. It's your bathroom. The law of the land says, your bedroom, you do your bathroom. Yeah. But you don't have to.
Starting point is 00:49:09 But if there's people waiting, you get out of the bathroom. Just about being courteous. Oh, it's a great analogy. So just as someone who waited tables and worked in a restaurant, Naomi has two. I was a hostess. But still. But I had to deal with trying to sit.
Starting point is 00:49:22 people and if I couldn't sit people because people were sitting down. And then I had a double seat a waiter and then they'd yell at me. I got yelled at a lot. So that's why her demeanor change, right? Yes, because she has to pay her bills. Yes. What are your demeanor change? Yeah, a little bit.
Starting point is 00:49:36 But at the same time, I would be understanding like, I get it. They probably don't go out much and they're just having a good time. After about 10 minutes. Yeah. But you had the whole dinner to catch up. Yeah. And you can go out, go ice cream it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:47 You're not wrong. I'm learning. I don't put you into jail, though. You don't go into bad person. in jail because you weren't being a bad person. You followed the rules, but you could have made her life a bit easier. Okay. And I did notice she was in a bad mood, so that was a big step for me.
Starting point is 00:50:00 No, you don't get credit for noticing when someone was in a bad mood. What are you going to say, Amy? I was wondering how many, like, what kind of a tabletop it was. Seven? Seven top? Oh. Oh, is that a lot? It was two tables.
Starting point is 00:50:14 That's two tables. That's two more tables or one of their big table, and you're talking to... Oh. Yeah. Again, you're not wrong, Eddie. That's what I thought. But you could have been more right. But now I feel kind of bad. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:27 Just think about others. Okay. You know? Dang it. I know. You still a good guy, in my opinion. Thank you, man. Did you park in a handicap?
Starting point is 00:50:33 I did not know it was a handicapped. It was in front of a fire hydrant. Even after I gave you that story in the pile. But it wasn't marked red. Don't do that. Okay. It's bad. I thought twice about it.
Starting point is 00:50:43 But did you? I did not park there you go. The Babon Show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Okay. So, anybody in here? guilty of running late all the time? No.
Starting point is 00:50:52 Yes. Never. No. God, no. I know. You're crazy. That makes me... I don't even like thinking about that.
Starting point is 00:51:00 Not even close modes? No, no, no, no. Well, people who are late a lot tend to be the people who expect the best in life. Even when it's not realistic, they're just simply optimistic. No, it's just that you go, who cares? This is going to work out in the end. No. Yes, that's your mindset.
Starting point is 00:51:15 Yeah, it'll be okay. Yeah, it's going to be. That's what it is. But isn't it? It's probably awesome to live that way, right, Eddie? I like it. You just think that it's all going to work out because that's all you have to latch on to.
Starting point is 00:51:26 Me, I make things work out because I get through early. Let me tell you, I went to this yoga class yesterday, Amy. First time I've been to a new yoga class. Like, I went to a whole new building. I was like, you know, I need to switch it up a little bit. Go, maybe meet some new people. You know, tired of the same old yoga scene.
Starting point is 00:51:39 Some new girls. Yeah, right? Sure, part of it. Go to a new place. And it starts at 5.30. And if it's a new place, you've got to sign up online. And, you know, like, the first week's free at every place. So I sign up.
Starting point is 00:51:49 And I get there at like $4.55 for like a $5.30 class. And the last class isn't even over yet. And they're looking at me like, hey, weirdo, why are you already here? 5.30? I didn't want to be late. 4.55? The last thing you want to do is be late somewhere new. And it felt like the first day of school.
Starting point is 00:52:04 You don't be like the first day of school. And you know what? I was there. I got a good spot. I don't have to stress out. Do you go front row? No. I went back row yesterday.
Starting point is 00:52:13 Oh, he's like got a good spot. Very bad. But I got my own spot. Like when you walk in late, you got to go, excuse me. Can you move over a little minute? Oh, right, right. I had to do that because I was on time. So how was it?
Starting point is 00:52:24 It was okay. Oh. But you control your own destiny when you get places on time. If you don't, you don't. That's all. Or destiny could control you. And you end up getting a spot next to this awesome girl because you got stuck there. I think the odds are that you get to pick a spot more so than you get assigned a spot in life.
Starting point is 00:52:42 If you get places, you get to pick a spot more than you get assigned a spot. I was just looking for the positive. The number one, let me get on my soapbox for a second. The number one most important, the most essential thing to success, the easiest thing is showing up on time. That's it. All the rest falls into place. If you cut yourself off at the knees and you don't show up on time, you've already eliminated a lot of your chance for success. So whatever that story is, garbage.
Starting point is 00:53:04 Okay. Daydreaming. Do you think that that's a bad habit? Are we still on that story? Yes. I'm talking about the positive things of bad habits. And I want to talk about like daydreaming or in my case. I don't do that.
Starting point is 00:53:13 Daydreaming or doodling or something. But a study said from Harvard, if you zone it. For about 12 minutes while working on a difficult task, it can help you find a solution when you return to the task. But you zone out while I'm talking to you on the air. It's different, yeah. Like I'm having a one-on-one conversation and I have to wave my hand in front of her and go, hey, over here. Go ahead. What else?
Starting point is 00:53:34 Using filler words like um and uh, so more and more research is finding that filler words actually help us absorb what someone is saying. Which I really have to work on um. This is a terrible study. This is a study for people. Does they feel good? This is like a participation. Complaining? Because complaining's on here.
Starting point is 00:53:50 I'm not complaining. Anything else? I'm moving on. Does potato salad count a salad? No. It does not? It's too creamy for a salad? The number one part of the...
Starting point is 00:54:02 No, I don't know. Go ahead. Well, listen. I agree. It's not. But I feel like we need to test America because 38% of people said yes, it does. And like a quarter of a million people were asked. Probably just one because the word salad.
Starting point is 00:54:17 Or two, because they don't eat any salad. and they want to go, well, this They think that's healthy. Right, so yes, just to clarify, if you're listening right now and you're one of those people, no, potato salad is not salad. You need to eat your greens. Tiny tattoos on your ears are the hot new trend.
Starting point is 00:54:33 Anybody want to do it? Miley Cyrus and Rihanna, they started getting them a few years ago, and now everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. And, like, see, it's just like little designs, like in your ear, like this girl, I'm showing Bobby a picture of a girl that has, like, a flower. It isn't only bad.
Starting point is 00:54:48 It's just, it's art. To do that, you probably have a lot other places. I don't think you jump in with the ear tattoo. As your first. It's like, hey, honey, I'm going to get my first tattoo. Oh, yeah, where? On my face, you don't do, you know, that's one if you have a lot already. Well, the good news is they're fairly cheap because they're so small and, like, easy to do.
Starting point is 00:55:05 So that's one reason why people are really into them. Yeah, I don't mind. I don't even mind. It looks kind of cool. I think it's kind of cool. Speaking of ears, I want to get one of those, I'm going to get multiple piercings on my ears. Do your top part of the carlage? Maybe. Is that cool?
Starting point is 00:55:20 You know what cool is? The cool is just being you. That's all cool is. At the end of the day, who cares? It doesn't matter. You know what's cool? What's cool is if you go, I don't care if I'm 38. I'm having a 38 life crisis. I'm just going to do whatever I want to do. That's cool. Okay. Sweet. I can do whatever. Whatever. Amy comes in with ear tattoos. You doing you is cool. Whatever that means. I'm tired under my eyes. Okay. I'm Amy. That's my file. Hey, with the tornadoes that happen, you know, we try to do what we can do. So if you go over to
Starting point is 01:00:05 bobbybones.com, we have an entire line of pimping joy stuff. And basically, everything. We don't keep any of that money, but it's going to go right to help everybody who's dealing with that tornado. I was watching the news this morning. And I'm telling you, three years ago, this had been the biggest news story, period. But because the news is so contentious all the time with politics, it barely gets any play. Yeah, because I feel like, I mean, they're, obviously they're bringing up the Oklahoma tornadoes in 2013, and this is the deadliest since then. And I feel like we all knew about that all the time back then. And then now, yeah, I'm not hearing much about this, but it's devastating.
Starting point is 01:00:42 So if you go to Bobbybones.com, anything from our Pimp and Joy line, we don't keep any that. We never keep the money, by the way. But here, it's all going to go to help the victims as right now they're still in like search and rescue mode. Yeah, I know. It's crazy. Like all the articles say at least 23 dead because they don't know still where some people are.
Starting point is 01:01:04 So Bobbybones.com, it's up there. We like to find ways that we can help right now. That's the way that we're pointing. guys. And if you just want to go and donate yourself, you can go to the Red Cross because they'll have that too. But we want to give you a way to get something, share the message of Pimp and Joy
Starting point is 01:01:20 and also give back. So, there's that. I was watching this documentary on astrology. Boy, I hate to be a bad news to people who believe this stuff. There's nothing real about astrology. I watched how it was all made up. Oh. The history of astrology is people just like,
Starting point is 01:01:37 let's just make something up for people to follow along with. And they go along and they kind of show how people just start buying into it. So it becomes a bigger and bigger thing. This is the stuff in the newspaper? Yeah, like, are you a Scorpio? Do you meet your Pisces? Yeah, okay, okay. There's nothing real about it.
Starting point is 01:01:50 Based on your birthday. Yes, and the stars in the sky. That means a lot of people have to live the exact same way. People are like, that's such a Scorpio thing to do. What, laugh? You know how Scorpio's are. We tend to find fun and things. We enjoy life.
Starting point is 01:02:04 No, that's everyone. Well, isn't there that one, like if you're born in certain seasons, though? It's not, like, your likeness is because of the time of year you were born, and then you happen to be defined as a Pisces or Scorpio. But what's that one book, that guy, we like him, Mark, never mind. Tipping, who wrote Tipping? Tim Robbins? No, never mind.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Morgan number two, you like this astrology, huh? Yeah, I do. Do you believe in it? I do. I mean, it's fine if it's not real, but it's still cool to believe in something a little different, and I like to. It's fun. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:32 As long as it's fun, we're okay with that. Do you believe in the horoscope? Like, you open the paper and read it? I mean, I don't open a paper Oh, she got you on that one. Dang, that's tough. She's got to make fun of you. I haven't even opened a paper
Starting point is 01:02:43 for a long time either. I look at an app. I don't know why. I haven't touched the paper all the time. But dang, I had a flash bag right there. So, do you look at your horoscope? Yeah, I do. Do you believe that?
Starting point is 01:02:53 I mean, yeah, I don't like 100% sometimes it's a little off, so I'm not 100% but probably 90% in the time I believe in it. But what, like a fortune cookie? Yeah. It's the same thing. Right?
Starting point is 01:03:04 Right. As long as you believe. Yes. Yes. It's just fun to believe in something a little different. That's what it is. More than 24,000 people were asked if they thought that astrological signs matched up to personalities. 32% of people said yes, which is a significant amount of people, a third of people. But Amy, you could read almost any of them and I would match. It's like when a psychic goes, I'm talking to somebody with an O in their name. And you just kind of find what assigns to it.
Starting point is 01:03:29 Right. So you're going to that psychic. Not for weeks. But you're still going. Yeah. But as of now. As of now. I didn't know if he did it because I didn't know if he did any of the astrology stuff. I went to astrologist. No, no. Astronogers came to me once. I did a TV interview with an astrologist. And she sat down with me and said, you're going to be richer than Oprah. And I was like, dang, wow. Let me check my account again. I mean, it's Oprah. Not yet. No, not yet. What's
Starting point is 01:03:55 Ryan Seacrest's net worth? Oh, a ton. Right. But I feel like you're on that trajectory. No, I definitely don't think that. What? I was watching old clips of him on Idol, like way back from the very beginning and I'm like oh this is like watching baby Bobby bloom no he was much younger the thing with astrology is that somebody said hey here's what you can follow people believed in it turned into a hole let's make money off of it there's you believe miss clio remember that yeah did you believe that you remember her yeah i i don't know i don't have any reason not to i'm just yeah as long as it's just for fun i'm down but you don't really think that stuff is true maybe like 50-50.
Starting point is 01:04:37 No, no. Ms. Cleo died, right? Is she? I hate it when you don't know the answer. He's something I bring up. I don't know, dude. I don't know. He does know the answer.
Starting point is 01:04:44 I know. That's why I bring it up. I keep track of that one. It's not in my trivia app. All right. At Bobby Bone Show on Instagram, if you guys want to follow along, you can hate on me for the astrology stuff.
Starting point is 01:04:55 But it's just, it's fun, but it's not real. Right? Yes, and Miss Cleo's dead. Okay, thank you. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this girl, Grayley, she was set to be a bridesmaid in her sister's wedding in Costa Rica,
Starting point is 01:05:12 but she got all the way down there and realized she forgot her dress back in Texas. Wait, what? Yeah. I mean... She's going to get married. Did she forget her dress? She's a bridesmaid. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:05:23 Her sister is getting married. Still? Still, yeah. She packed everything, but then left her dress. So obviously, huge mistake. She's panicking, freaking out, reaching out to all friends back home. Could they ship it? Well, FedEx was like, yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:36 but it's going to arrive too late for the wedding. Well, you know, who flies to Costa Rica all the time? Southwest. So they were on Twitter and Facebook and messages, and then Southwest tweeted and said, all right, let's do it. And they posted a dress tracker, so they put the dress on a flight that was going to Costa Rica the next morning, and it made it there. Arrived safe and sound, and she was in her sister's wedding wearing the dress.
Starting point is 01:05:58 There you go. Southwest didn't charge them for the special delivery. They just threw it on the plane. Well, good for them. I love that. Yeah, that's good. That's what's all about right there because they didn't have to do that.
Starting point is 01:06:07 Yeah, and look at Twitter working out. One time I tweeted Southwest after I forgot my wallet and they helped me find it. See? You found it. Twitter's good. You always find it.
Starting point is 01:06:16 Yes. All right, thank you. There you go. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're transmitting across America.
Starting point is 01:06:27 This is the Bobby Bones. Let's go over to Amy. The Mortby Bowie. Morning Corny. What do you call a fairy that doesn't bathe? Dirty fairy? No. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:06:46 Make my day? Dirty fairy? Nice. No? I get it. No. No. No.
Starting point is 01:06:51 No. Yeah, dirty hairy. Yeah, what is it? Yeah, what do you call a fairy that doesn't bathe? A stinker bell. Oh, I like that. That was the morning corny. Bobby Boom.
Starting point is 01:07:04 Come on. Dan and Shay hop over at a wedding, and they sing speech. and they do their first dance this wedding. Morgan number two had that in her skinny a minute ago. So a lot of you guys are married. Amy's married. How long have you married? 12 years.
Starting point is 01:07:20 You and your husband, your first dance was To Crazy by Pat Green. Have you been to a Pat Green show when he played this with your husband? Not with my husband, no. But, I mean, I've been to a lot of Pat Green. But not since. Nope.
Starting point is 01:07:41 That would be cool if you went to a Pat Green Show and he played this and you're with your husband? Yeah. And that's still an attainable thing. It's so good. Yeah. I'll look up his calendar. Going on. Launchbox?
Starting point is 01:07:52 Ray LaMontaine, you are the best thing. How long have you been married? Three and a half years. Eduardo, how long have been married? 13 years. Dang. That's crazy, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:08 We got, our first dance was Can't Help Fall in Love by Elvis. We do love. Hawaii. Oh, yeah? We got married in Hawaii. Did you have on Hawaii stuff? I had a lay. Yeah?
Starting point is 01:08:20 You know, like, I got one of the man lays. No flowers just like, you know, leaves. Why would you have a flower lay? That's what the Hawaiian people gave me. Oh, man. It's beautiful. Yeah, you love Elvis. I love Elvis.
Starting point is 01:08:32 I love Hawaii. It was just perfect. If I were to get me right today, you want to hear my life? Yes. Yes. It doesn't matter because, by the way, I'm not even dating anybody anymore. Zero people. had a bad day yesterday
Starting point is 01:08:49 Why? With that That's probably tomorrow We catch up on that Uh-oh Can't catch up on it Well I wanted to play my wedding songs here If you got married today
Starting point is 01:08:57 My point is That I didn't have a good day yesterday I'm a little more in the hole Than I was Even yesterday Oh boy Yeah yeah I'm in the hole right now
Starting point is 01:09:04 I probably do like Shallow I'm just kidding Shalalala la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la Did you see this is the number one song, though, this week? I did, yeah. Ariana Grande? Wow.
Starting point is 01:09:22 From like number 21 to one. Well, Ariana Grande, didn't she have like three number ones? Yeah. No, here, these are the real ones. You know, my favorite song ever is this one, and it's a romantic song, but people don't think it's a romantic song, which is Ain't No Sunshine. Oh. Because it seems like a sad song. Yeah, because she's gone.
Starting point is 01:09:40 But the point, no, no, no. The point is ain't no sunshine when she's gone. Got it. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone. But, and it's, you know, it's dark. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone. But is that like a sad song to dance to? It's not warm.
Starting point is 01:09:57 It's not warm. Yeah, why not? It's just a little pessimistic. No, no, it's not. It's that she's gone. I don't want her to be gone. But you're with her right now. You just married her.
Starting point is 01:10:07 Like is she gone to the grocery store or is she gone? But I know me. She's probably going to be gone. No, this is not. You can't. I get it. I get it. It's sweet, but you can't.
Starting point is 01:10:18 So no shallow. Shalalal la la la la la la la. And then no, and no ain't no sunshine. You guys are over? I'm over too. No. All right. I do enjoy this one a lot.
Starting point is 01:10:29 Percy Sledge. Beautiful. Come on. I like that. As if I were to get married today. That's a good one, Rhodes. Got a little soul. You don't want to do Michael Bolton version?
Starting point is 01:10:44 No, I don't. I don't want to do Michael. Check it's a good one, though. It's checking. How about this one? Love it. Brian Adams, heaven. No?
Starting point is 01:11:02 No. No. It's two 80s for you? Like, I'm feeling like I'm throwback. I feel like I'm at Bobby's wedding in the 80s. Oh. I was born in the 80s. I know.
Starting point is 01:11:13 That would be a young wedding. Okay. Here, okay, how about this one? The way you look tonight. Come on. I like this, huh? I like it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:24 And the way you look Hey, baby. Tonight. Like it. And I feel like since you're king dangling in a dance, like you would have something planned out for this one.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Oh, yeah, I probably do a whole routine, huh? Huge routine. What do you think about that? I mean, I could see that happening. Right? I wouldn't tell her it'd be just a solo one. You'd be like wearing your top hat.
Starting point is 01:11:43 And I'd be like, fift. Okay. Well, I guess my song's true. I got to work on my songs. First I should work on a girl. Which now, So what happened?
Starting point is 01:11:51 There's an update with the girls. I don't think today's the day. Morgan Number two knows about it. Today's probably not the day, or is it? I think you need 24 hours to deal with it. I need 24 hours. Like what sort of happened? Well.
Starting point is 01:12:03 And why does Morgan number two know about it? Because we were talking about it last night. Oh, boy. Oh. Over coffee? Over text. All right. That's all.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Maybe tomorrow we get into that. Let's go to Joey in Las Vegas. Hey, Joey, how are you? Joey. Yes. What's up, buddy? Hey, how's it going, man? Good, you're on the air.
Starting point is 01:12:26 What do you want to say? I just wanted to say, I love the show, man. Appreciate that, man. It's early there, too. Appreciate that call. How about that? Let's go to Lori and Missouri. Lori, how are you?
Starting point is 01:12:38 Hi, I'm good. You good? Tell me what your first wedding song was, your first dance. My first dance song was, you know, the wedding singer, the airplane scene where Adam Sandler sings to her. It was, I want to roll with you. Oh, yeah. I want to make you smile whenever you're dead.
Starting point is 01:12:55 That one? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's a good one. That's fine. All I want to do is grow old with you. This is a really good song. I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches.
Starting point is 01:13:12 Build you a fire if the furnace breaks. It could be so nice growing old with you. That's good. I love this movie. I'll miss you, kiss you, give you my... There you go. Thank you. I'll sing the whole song.
Starting point is 01:13:32 It's a good one. Thank you guys for your calls. I believe that's it. I'll work on some songs. Maybe tomorrow we talk about this. Maybe today, but probably not today. Whatever you need. You change your mind.
Starting point is 01:13:42 We'll hear it today. Take time, whatever you need. Okay, good. We're all ears. Maybe next week then. No, no, no, not that long. All right, we'll come back. We're going to get our girl group in.
Starting point is 01:13:50 I saw a thing on Reddit. The biggest deal breakers women have for guys. So I'm going to ask each of them to share your one. Like, boom, deal breaker, done. All right. We're bringing the girl group in next. The Bobby Bones Show. Bobbi Bones.
Starting point is 01:14:02 All right, bringing in our girl group here. Because the question is, what's the instant deal breaker with dudes? Let's bring in. Here she is. Amy, everybody. Amy, say something about yourself. There she is. 37.
Starting point is 01:14:17 It's been a while since I've dated because I've been married for 12 years, so I haven't really had a no-go. No-go. Let me guess his MySpace account doesn't have a proper sense. situation, but I do recall some of my no-goes. In front of me, our head of digital, she runs all the Bobby Bone Show social media accounts and our website. Morgan number two. Hey, there we go.
Starting point is 01:14:38 I'm 25 years old, and I just went on two dates with two different guys, so I am fresh in the dating world. Look at this. Whoa. I have to follow up on that one. And then over to my right, walking in the studio, she used to be our phone screener. Now, what do you say you do now, Hillary? I don't really know what my title is.
Starting point is 01:14:55 She's a lot of different things. She's a utility woman. She does a little bit everything. Hillary, everybody. Utility Hillary. Oh, that's good. I kind of like it. Utility Hillary.
Starting point is 01:15:04 All right, say something about yourself, Hillary? I'm 26, and a fun fact, I actually graduated college early. I started college when I was in high school when I was 16. And so you graduated when you were 20? I would have been 21, 20-ish. There she is. Hillary, everyone. All right.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Let's go around the room here. Amy. Yeah. The biggest deal breaker. that women have for guys. What would be yours? Oh, nipple rings. Oh, wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Even if you had them, like I, before I got married, one of the guys I went out with, and I really liked him. He did not have them anymore, but he told me like he had taken them out like a year before. And the fact that he had once had them,
Starting point is 01:15:46 like he thought that was a good idea, we did not go out after that. So I know that's... You held against him a mistake he made. He didn't think of his mistake. He just took him out. I mean, they could still go back in at any point. Like, the holes were still there. So therefore, if we continued dating, maybe even got married. Like, what if one day he comes home and he decided to put the rings back in? That's a no-go. For me, for me.
Starting point is 01:16:08 Amy's no-go is? Nipple rings. There is. Let's go to Morgan number two. Morgan number two. What is your, right now, you're currently back on the market. First time you announced you've been dating again. Go ahead. What's the biggest deal breaker? If they don't like dogs, I went on a date with a guy who basically told me that I couldn't put my dog before him and I didn't go on a second date. Putting the dog before him? There's a difference.
Starting point is 01:16:33 But does he like dogs? Not like he kind of did. He had a cat, so I guess he was kind of a cat person. Oh, wow, he's a guy with a cat. That's probably a could be a no-go. Why would you hate on someone who's taking care of an animal? Just kidding. I love cats, but it's just, I don't picture a lot of guys with cats.
Starting point is 01:16:49 I support more good. What if I was thinking about getting a cat? There was a cat under my house that I saved. Oh, yeah, that's right. I forgot. I love all animals, all God's creatures. Mm-hmm. I know.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Yeah, I wish I could get a cat. But it would be weird if I started, like, even my husband right now, I'm trying to picture if we started dating and he was like, here's my cat. This is, Fluffy, Amy, Fluffy. So yours is, they don't love dogs. Yeah, so, you know, they just have to love them. They have to put up with me basically being a crazy dog mom. That has to be okay. Very good, very good.
Starting point is 01:17:17 Over to Hillary. Utility Hillary. Hillary, what's the one deal breaker? And you're single right now. I am single. What's the one deal breaker? Mine would be smoking. I really just don't like it.
Starting point is 01:17:27 I don't like being around it. And it really messes with my voice. And I kind of need it for a job. So I just don't really like when people smoke. If he's the perfect guy in every way, he looks good, got nice muscles and, you know, pecky muscles. His personality. He goes to church on Sunday and everything about him.
Starting point is 01:17:44 But he smokes. I just don't think I can do it. And then it smells up your house and your clothes and just everything, so that's definitely a no for me. All right. There you have. Here are some of the ones here. Number one, bad hygiene.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Oh, yeah. You ever meet a guy that kind of stinks, but you're okay with it? No, I'm not okay with it. No, I've never been okay with it. Because, like, Matthew McConaughey. Right. I would be like, babe. But he's so good looking, and he's also famous and rich.
Starting point is 01:18:09 I like when he talks. Yeah. Right. Maybe. Maybe. Too many selfies on social media. Would that be a thing with you guys? I feel like they'd be very self-absorred, but they're very very,
Starting point is 01:18:18 into themselves, so that's a bad sign for me. The selfie thing. What if somebody else is taking the picture, though? Selfies? I mean, if somebody else taking a picture... It's not a selfie. It depends. Yeah, it's not a selfie.
Starting point is 01:18:28 No, but I'm saying if it's just a bunch of pictures. Like, my social media, it's just a much pictures of me. But it's not a bunch of selfies. Yeah, but it's part of your job. Yeah. Is it, though? Sort of. Okay, how about someone who is shorter than you?
Starting point is 01:18:40 A guy who is shorter than you, Amy? Oh, definitely. I don't think I've ever dated anybody shorter than me. So maybe it's a subconscious no-go. Morgan number two? How tall are you? I'm five foot. So if you're shorter than me.
Starting point is 01:18:50 You're only five foot tall? Yeah. That's saying a lot if you're shorter than me. There's a picture of Morgan number two and I when we went to Casey Musgraves. Were you in hills? Yeah, I had heels on. I look like a giant next to her. Like her head right at my nipples.
Starting point is 01:19:05 And she even then, where I don't have rings, by the way. Yeah. So if she didn't have her heels on, you'd look really big. Yeah. Yeah, she's right of my nipple rings. Oh, you don't have my nils. You do not. Could you date someone shorter than you, Hillary?
Starting point is 01:19:17 I don't think I could do it. I have to be able to wear heels and they're still taller than me. I dated a girl who was taller than me. Yeah, but she was like 5.10. No, she was 6-2. Oh yeah, that's right. She was 6-2. Bare foot, I'm 6' tall. Like doctors are 6' tall. So she was still taller than me. And she was like, can I wear heels? Like, absolutely. You wear what makes you feel good. Because if you feel good, then you do good. You act good. And if you act good, we both feel good. I'm fine with that. She'd be like 6.5. That was crazy though. She was a volleyball player. So tall. So tall. I know I had a boyfriend once that was 6.5. He's so tall.
Starting point is 01:19:53 But that's the thing. You like that, huh? Don't girls like taller guys? Yeah. But I don't, I mean, I don't know if I would date somebody shorter. That's a really good question. What about trying, if he tries to fight people at times? Oh, I'm not into that. What if he's like standing up for your honor? I mean, I don't want him to fight. I don't want him to fight. throwing punches. If he wants to
Starting point is 01:20:13 correct someone or stand up for me. But I don't want him like fighting. You ever had a guy fight for you? No. Morgan number two? I've had a guy getting some tips at the bar. It wasn't a great sign of the relationship later on. I'll say that much. What happened? I mean, they just argued with other guys if guys were hitting on me or something. So it wasn't my honor and I didn't really want them talking to me. So it wasn't my honor, but I was just, the next day I was kind of like, I kind of wish that didn't happen.
Starting point is 01:20:41 It didn't like it. It wasn't attractive to you? It was attractive in the moment, but after the fact, I'm like, I don't really know that I want a guy who starts bar fights. Yeah. That's true. And the last one is complaining about exes. Any issue with that with you guys and your past boyfriends? Because I'm going to tell you, if I ever date someone and they're always talking about how crazy all their ex-boyfriends are, no, no, no.
Starting point is 01:21:03 The common denominator of all the crazies is you. Like, you can always look at past people who they date and their relationships with them and see what kind of person they are. long haul. If you're dating someone and they're like, oh, my last new relationships, they're all psycho. No, no, no. You're probably the psycho. You're the common denominator there. Yeah, probably. Probably. Yeah, it's probably not good to be someone. And also they're wrapped up in the past. Like one time I was another guy that I dated, we were dating for like a little bit. And one time I went over to his house and in his room, he still had a framed picture of him and his ex-girlfriend. Oh. And I was like, when is that going down?
Starting point is 01:21:39 And that same voice like Kermit? I think that's what I said in my head. I didn't say it out loud. You talk like Kermit in your head? He didn't really like complain about her, but he did talk about her. And then I saw the framed picture. And then one day I remember it like magically was gone. And I was like, okay, I guess this means we're official.
Starting point is 01:21:58 That's how you know, because he took down the picture of his ex. I don't know. All right, girl group, thank you very much. Appreciate you guys coming in to share your view on life and men and the struggle. Thank you very much. Utility Hillary, thank you. Morgan number two, Amy. Nice work, everyone.
Starting point is 01:22:13 There we have it. Thank you very much. There we. We had the girl group in a second ago, and they were talking about guys that are shorter than they are, and how they couldn't date one. And so I look at the text screen, and Derek texting me. Derek's in Oklahoma, but now he's on the phone. Hey, Derek. Yeah, what's going on, Bobby?
Starting point is 01:22:31 Hey, I saw your text. I'd like for you to share with the girls here what you said in the text. Oh, man. First I'd like me today. I just love listening to you all. I'd listen to you all on the phone every day on the way to work. What I said on the text was, personally, I get tired of hearing about girls, they say. They won't date a guy that's short.
Starting point is 01:22:50 And, you know, that's something they can't change. You know, that's their height. It's just the way it is. And but at the same time, on the flip side, you know, women say, oh, you shouldn't not date someone or something like that because of their weight. And I just think that that's kind of a double standard and shouldn't be that way. Amy? Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:08 height, like you just said, you can't control. Sometimes weight, you sometimes can. So you're saying guys are more right. You're actually backing yourself further into a hole. Never mind. Let me back up. Okay, hold on. Back up. I'm going to back up and say that height is relative to how tall the girl is. So we're just saying we're not going to date anybody shorter than us.
Starting point is 01:23:28 Now, your height, you, anybody guy can find a girl that could be shorter than them. You're really struggling with this one. No, I'm not. No, I'm not. Great point. No, I'm not. No. No. That it's a bit hypocritical of you girls to go, I'm not going to date a shorter guy. But if a guy judges you based on any part of your size. I know, I know. I'm so stupid.
Starting point is 01:23:48 Okay. Hold on, no, no. There is a thing. Go ahead. There is different heights. Oh, boy. Amy, you got nothing. There are all kinds of shapes. All kinds of kinds.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Derek, thank you for texting. Yeah, we're butt heads. Amy admitted to the bunhead. There we go. But do you have nipple rings? No, I don't have nipple rings. And if he did, let him be him. But he can control that.
Starting point is 01:24:18 His point was he can't control his height. Derek, are you a short guy? No, I'm six foot, but to be honest, my wife, I don't like to admit it. She might be a smitch taller than I am. You're six foot. That's tall. So your wife's might be six one. He's standing up for the underdog.
Starting point is 01:24:32 That's why I like this guy. It's really nice of you. You know, I have a lot of friends that. that are, you know, especially, you know, that I grew up with that are 5-5, 5-6, and, you know, I'd still talk to them. And, you know, it's a struggle for them that, you know, it's hard to find women to date because they discriminate against their heights. Oh, that makes me feel bad. Yeah. Derek, that's a great call.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Hey, Derek, I want to send you a signed book. How about that? Can I do that? Oh, that'd be awesome, man. I appreciate it. Yeah, hold on one second. By the way, my book is now paperback as of today. That's so cool.
Starting point is 01:25:02 Yeah, it was successful enough. They put it out in paperback as of today, so it's cheaper. So that's what that means? Mm-hmm. Oh, okay. They reissue it, spent a bunch of money to put it back out. So my book, Fail Until You Don't, Outland Paperback today. If you haven't read it yet, I encourage you to check it out and get it on Amazon for, like, I don't know, a nickel.
Starting point is 01:25:17 It's way cheaper. No. Way cheaper. Yeah, I almost send you one, Derek. Thank you. And he made a great point. So what do we learn from this call, ladies? That.
Starting point is 01:25:25 Your buttheads. That's what we're like that. Oh, he made me feel like one. How tall are you, Amy? Five-six. Morgan number two is five foot. Like, I don't think that's an issue for you to. I can't really just give her.
Starting point is 01:25:36 She could date a guy that's 55, 5, 5, 6, no problem. There I am. I'm out there. Yeah. Her options are limitless. Your would be too if you had a heart. Or you wouldn't have been married for 12 years. Either one.
Starting point is 01:25:50 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. There's this woman in New Jersey driving her car down the highway. She loses control of the car and crashes into the river. And it's sinking, sinking. She kicks out her back window, but doesn't know how to swim so she's just standing on top of the vehicle. So this Navy veteran, Michael James,
Starting point is 01:26:11 jumps in the freezing cold water, grabs her, car goes down, and they start floating down the river. He's holding her above water until two police officers can grab them and pull him to the shore. Yeah, that's crazy. I saw that. I saw him, like, talking about it on the news, too. This is somebody talking about that story.
Starting point is 01:26:28 I looked over into the water and just saw a car floating by with a lady sitting on the trunk, and she's screaming that she couldn't swim. and she wasn't lying. Isn't it nuts? Yeah. Here's this one. This is the guy who did the rescuing
Starting point is 01:26:43 talking about, I don't even think about it. There really wasn't even an instant to decide and it just went. I didn't even think about it. His name was Michael James, yeah, Navy Vet. Crazy. Saw it, did it, didn't think about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:57 That's awesome. That's what it's all about. Tell me something good. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 01:30:34 Dot E-D-U-S-Military. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones! Let go. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Ah, here he is. Saw that Luke Perry died yesterday.
Starting point is 01:30:56 You know, all just kind of happened so quickly, right? He had a stroke. I know. I logged on the Instagram and I saw Katie Currick post that, yeah, Luke Perry, Dylan McKay passed away. and I was like, what? And then it was such a credible source that I knew it was real.
Starting point is 01:31:09 Well, and then you start to see all the other stuff that he did that you kind of forgot about. Because if you're our age, you watch 90210 at a time when everybody watched a show. Meaning, your whole family basically sat down and watched
Starting point is 01:31:23 whatever you watched. And a lot of us would watch 90210 with people. Like, it's not like now where there's 100 shows, nobody's watching a different show. Like, a lot of America watched this show.
Starting point is 01:31:33 It was massive. I saw a whole thing. Let me say that story. about the things you didn't know about Luke Perry because that's all one of them where the thing was he had to get snuck out of a place in a like a hamper because the crowd was so big.
Starting point is 01:31:47 Oh my gosh, yeah, I didn't know that. Yeah, here's one of them here. That's like what Taylor Swift does. No, hers was like a luggage. Luggage, yeah. That's how big he was. Wow. This was the whole story about things you may not have known about Luke Perry.
Starting point is 01:32:00 He had to hide and close bins at the mall to escape fans because he was doing a signing. I thought 100 people would show up when 10,000 showed up, and it was so big, he had to get into this thing, and they had to cover them, and they had a,
Starting point is 01:32:10 like, wheel him out in dirty clothes. Like, that's how big of a pop culture thing he was. And then it was talking about eight seconds. Wasn't he an eight seconds? Yes.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Such a good movie. Yes, he was Lane Frost. And then I didn't watch Smallville. You didn't watch Smallville because he was in that as like the dad. No. That's how people now know him? Riverdale.
Starting point is 01:32:26 Oh, Riverdale. Is that what it is? Okay. Yeah, another one of this. What's Riverdale about? Do you watch that? Same thing? No.
Starting point is 01:32:32 Kids? Vampire? They're all CW, right? Yeah, it's a CW show about Archie Comics, but like redone nowadays. Really? Really? Yeah, like Jughead. What? Jugghead is alive on a show?
Starting point is 01:32:44 Yeah. Oh, I didn't know that. Well, anyway, he's a dad on that. A lot of things here. Okay, let me do some of this stuff. According to Legends revealed, Aaron Spelling had to pay Luke Perry's salary for his first two years on 90210
Starting point is 01:32:57 when Falktwell didn't want to hire him. So Aaron Spelling, he created the show, paid him. And that's whose dad, Tori? Well, that's the one who created it, the show, but also Tori spelling's dad. What's how she got on the show? Right. He had to hide in a closed bed at the mall to escape out of control fans.
Starting point is 01:33:13 The only thing he bought with his 90210 money was his first new car. It was the only time he spent money from that on something nice. He bought a F-354 pickup truck. He said it was the only time in his life he bought a new car. Wow. I was reading a story. I forget who put it on Instagram, I wish I remembered. But he was talking about how he was sitting on an airport.
Starting point is 01:33:32 plane and these babies would not stop crying. Babies, like a one-year-old and a three-year-old. And just wouldn't stop with crying. The whole flight were like and he said, the person who wrote the Instagram post said, he felt bad because the parents couldn't do anything about it. They had tried and tried. There was nothing they could do. And the flight
Starting point is 01:33:48 went off like an hour. And the babies were just screaming. He said, some guy came from first class with a hat and glasses on and had two balloons and blew them up and gave them to the kids. And they were like, oh, and they shut up and the whole airplane clapped. Well, the guy went up to the front back he said not again no one knew who it was and a baggage claim he's standing
Starting point is 01:34:06 next to that guy because it's freaking Luke Perry wow I love those stories yeah he was telling that story it was somebody famous too it was Colin Hank is that who it was yeah yeah so yeah yesterday Luke Perry was uh he was hospitalized after suffering a stroke the stroke was too severe then he passed away yesterday morning 52 years old he's set to appear in a few more episodes of Riverdale, but he's also got a role in the Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which comes out on July 26th. So, yeah, saw that yesterday. What else do I have?
Starting point is 01:34:43 The Bachelor? Happened? I didn't watch The Bachelor. Oh, my goodness. But all I've been seeing all years, people jump, they do jumping over that fence, Colton. Yeah, that's what they've been, they've been teasing it all season. What was the setup in that? Like, what happened?
Starting point is 01:34:56 So, he goes on the one-on-one date with one girl, and they do this fantasy sweep, but they don't hook up and then he goes out with Cassie and he is in love with Cassie. Okay, so this is the one he wants. This is the one he wants. What celebrity that she's like most like so I can pick I would say Scarlett Johansen in the face. Okay, go ahead. Yeah, blonde hair, beauty. And the dad had not given Colton permission to propose to his daughter. He was like, no, I don't think you're ready. Yes. Kathy girl? And so she's having second thoughts like, oh my gosh. So her dad shows up in Portugal and it's like, look, do you love him? And she's like, well, I mean, I don't know. And he's like, there should be no doubt. So then she goes out with Colton
Starting point is 01:35:32 and he is going to confess his love to her and she's like, look, I don't think I can get there. Is this the Colton tells Cassie that he wants to pick her as a winner? He says you are the one girl. Here we go. I care for you. I love you. I want it to be you at the end of this.
Starting point is 01:35:50 Engagement or not. How do you say them to the company? And I'm telling you right now at the end of us I wanted to be you. I want to be with you. Now, then she says no. then she just says, I don't know if I can get there with you, Colton. And she bounces.
Starting point is 01:36:11 This says she wants to go home and rejects and play this one. Yeah, she bounces. I can't. I got this. I'm not going to him. So he says he wants her. She doesn't want him. And this, is that when he jumps the fence?
Starting point is 01:36:25 So then she leaves. Okay. And he goes back up to his room and he's sad and he's crying. And then he's just like, you know what? I'm out of here. He goes down the stairs, ribs off his mic, throws it. Oh. And he is gone!
Starting point is 01:36:35 He just jumped the fence. And these like producers? These are producers? Like it's a real life thing. No, guys, they cannot find, they're in the middle of nowhere. And they are just following, there's some dogs barking in the distance. They're like, oh, that's maybe where he went. So they walk that way.
Starting point is 01:36:55 Colton in a Vietnamese prison somewhere. They can't find Colton. The studio is gated. It's all there. They're in Portugal. Oh, Hollywood Portugal. Oh, he's in a Portuguese prison. Like, I don't know how we're going to go on with the show.
Starting point is 01:37:08 The show is over. Oh, wait. Oh, at the end, he still was it back? No, it's just, it says two is gone. Oh, come on. You know he's on the women talk back. That's all a preview of it. Yes.
Starting point is 01:37:16 But what I'm saying, he was on our show. He was on our show like two weeks ago. What I'm saying, this is the first time in Bachelor history that someone has confessed that that's the one they want before it's the final two. There's three girls left. So what do they do? He didn't even go on the third one-on-one date. Wow. Colton!
Starting point is 01:37:37 Colton! Little Portuguese puppies freaking out. You know what stinks is if he does pick somebody else and they see this? That's what I said last night. There's no way he can pick another girl because they're going to watch this. going, oh, so you wanted her, but then you just settled? I bet Cassie, I don't know anything about the show, I bet Cassie comes back, right?
Starting point is 01:37:59 They wouldn't do all this, that her coming back next episode, after the women talk back. Oh, man, women tell all. That's on tonight. It is. Like, they moved it up. That's what I'm saying. What is women tell all? What is that? It's where all the rejected women come back and confessing like what was going on the house and they want answers from Colton, like,
Starting point is 01:38:15 why did you break my heart? Things like that and what he did. But guys, first time in history, the Bachelor confesses before the final two that you are the one. It was so dramatic. It's crazy. He's into it. People were into it on Twitter.
Starting point is 01:38:28 It was amazing. Good for them. Man, he's kind of making when we want to go watch it. Yeah, he needs to. Today or something. Is there some sort of a recap I can get? He just gave you the best possible review. But I mean, I want a visual.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Oh, he was shaking. He was so sad. Like, she was trying to leave and he was like, who. You should reenact it, lunchbox. Well, let me know how that goes tonight. Oh, man. I know he made it out of Portugal.
Starting point is 01:38:51 They did find him eventually. But Harrison, I mean, he was... Chris Harrison? Chris, get out here and he had to come down there and start searching for him. Chris shows up with like three other girls had been kicked off earlier. What's up? Is that real? No.
Starting point is 01:39:05 I'm not kidding. I hear he's a really nice guy. I don't know anything about it. He's not nice. You know what was... Yeah, I know. No, I hear he's cool, dude. What do I know?
Starting point is 01:39:13 I work for ABC. I don't, I don't hear anything about. I'm not even saying anything if I do, but I don't. He's awesome. He's my favorite person. All right, on. American Idol, it was two nights ago. I can talk about this for a second.
Starting point is 01:39:23 I'm going to play one of these clips. This guy, Nick Townsend, this story about this dude, he goes on, and I, listen, he made it to Hollywood, so I, it's now I can start to share it a little bit because I, I'd spend some time with him. His older brother went to the military, committed suicide,
Starting point is 01:39:39 then his younger brother is so messed up, sad about it, commits suicide. It's crazy. I mean, I knew the story. He shared it on the show, and then he gets up, and he sings. and talking low, being shows and even and close.
Starting point is 01:40:03 And nervous touch and getting drunk to staying up. And I was slipping at the edge. Holding something we don't need. All this delusion in our heads is going to bring us to hard. So come on. And he's sitting there with the guitar and Luke's emotionally upset because Luke has lost siblings too. It was so powerful. And again, I love this dude.
Starting point is 01:40:51 And now that I know he's made it, I mean, I spent time. with him. Just such a good, good dude. But I thought that, we didn't talk about it yesterday, but I thought the first episode was really good. This Walker Burroughs kid who is from Alabama, he lives in Nashville. He's like a red-haired, like Harry Potter looking kid. He's 20. And he sat and played piano at the very beginning of it. Never was in early riser. Never felt the morning light, quite like I do now. So good. There's a lot of good kids. There's one though on tomorrow night, because we have one episode on Wednesday night, who's one of the best I've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:41:27 He was the one I was talking about where I was like, oh, it's special. Oh, yeah. One of the best I've ever seen. And he plays tomorrow night. So, yeah, I hope you watch. I won't be on tomorrow night. They showed, I was briefly on last night.
Starting point is 01:41:38 I didn't even think I was going to be on because I was still doing dancing with the stars at the point where they're taping this. But they were like, hey, bye bones. Comes to Ventura, it's a kid, whatever. But it's good. It was a good first episode. So, anyway.
Starting point is 01:41:48 I saw that even though you're not on these episodes, really, your name is on the thing. Like the description on the show. Mm-hmm. Yeah, except one of them said Bobby Jones. No. But then immediately below it, it said Bones. So it was like, uh.
Starting point is 01:42:01 If you go to my Instagram, my Instagram is Mr. Bobby Bones, you'll see where it goes. It lists the five people on the show. The three judges, Ryan Crest, and Bobby Jones, which is me, my name is Bobby Bones. And then in the end, it puts me as Bones. Oh, this is on the info. Yeah. Yeah. Click program info.
Starting point is 01:42:20 Yeah, it says singers Luke Brian, Katie Perry and Lionel Richie with Emmy Award winning producer and host Ryan Cicrest. Return to Search for America's Next Singing Sensation. Radio personnel, Bobby Jones, serves as in-house-Mobile. Yeah. I saw Ray Mundo post a picture of the Billboard, the American Auto Billboard. Yeah, right there on the interstate Nashville, baby. And I'm not on it, so he drew me on it.
Starting point is 01:42:41 Dude, that's crap. It's Nashville. We got to represent, dude. I wasn't even over to Idol yet when they did all the promo stuff. I was still at Dancing with the Stars. Yeah, and they still had space for you on there, too. You could have squeezed in. Photoshop.
Starting point is 01:42:53 Got that picture? I did feel a little left out when they were all, like, and Regis and Kelly and all those shows, and I wasn't part of it, because I'm like the only one not a part of it. But whatever. Ramuna's right, though. Nashville should represent a hometown boy.
Starting point is 01:43:04 No, they've... And Luke. The Luke's on there, yeah. Yeah, and Luke. I forgot about him. Everybody relax. So, yeah, I thought it was really good. There's another episode on tomorrow,
Starting point is 01:43:13 on American Idol. The Bachelor's tonight. A lot happening. You're going to watch that. Women tell all. Women tell all. You better believe I'm going to be watching it because there's going to be some drama.
Starting point is 01:43:23 We're going to talk about the fence jump. Yeah. I mean, Colton was, he was done. He had enough, man. Heartbroken. You do get in that bubble. Like, I was on a reality show. I did a dance with the stars.
Starting point is 01:43:35 You get in the bubble of everything's happening is the most important thing. That's all there is. I finally kind of understand that part of it. Hey, let's go over to Ben in Indiana. Hey, Ben. Hey, what's up? You good, buddy?
Starting point is 01:43:46 What's happening? Doing great. So I always feel bad because I'm usually like four or five days behind you guys because I always listen on the podcast. Just because my jobs, I'm in and out of my car so much. I can't listen straight through. But the other night, I was working, and I'm a firefighter part-time, police officer full-time,
Starting point is 01:44:05 and I was sleeping, and I wasn't quite to sleep yet. You guys, Lunchbox got Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy confused. Oh, yeah, I couldn't stop laughing. I literally woke myself laughing at that and woke my partner up because I was laughing so hard at that one. So I just go back because I'm a couple days behind. but that just was the best thing ever. Ben, I was laughing so hard
Starting point is 01:44:29 I couldn't talk. Like we were doing that segment, it was Monday. Was it last Monday? Or was it yesterday? I think it was last week. That was last week. Last week. Whatever it was.
Starting point is 01:44:40 Lunchbox confused Jenny McCarthy and Melissa McCarthy. I couldn't breathe. I was laughing so on. Yes, he did. He did confuse the two. Well, I appreciate that, Ben. Thanks for the call, man.
Starting point is 01:44:49 Eddie was the best part because he was like, lunch was like, oh, she's so hot. And Eddie just goes, really? It was the fact. It was a good. It was stupid.
Starting point is 01:45:01 Thank you, bud. Appreciate that. You know, we were talking about these girls on the show when we did our girl group. These girls? Yeah. Okay. You were talking about how you don't like short guys. Whoa, that is not how it came about.
Starting point is 01:45:15 Pretty much. In a nutshell. We did nail our deal breakers. And they were like, yeah, we don't think we can date someone shorter. Which I thought you were being honest. I always love honesty, even if I don't agree with it, then I can trust you being honest always. That's the great thing about when someone says something honest that you don't like. That you know that they say something you do like later, they're being honest about it.
Starting point is 01:45:35 Like sometimes people get upset at me with sharing an opinion. Like, oh, you can't believe it. I don't like you. And I'm like, aren't you happy I'm being honest because all the other times I'm saying stuff, you can believe that too. Like, is it being genuine so much better than being agreeable? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, what's your point? The point is, you guys were hating on short dudes earlier.
Starting point is 01:45:52 No, I wouldn't define it as that. Annette in New Hampshire, you're on the show. How are you? Oh, my gosh. Hey, how are you? Really good. These girls are hating on short. Dude, you heard them, right? Well, I don't know if they were hating on them, but they were just saying that they wouldn't date somebody shorter than them. Hayden, yeah. But anyway, what's like to say? Well, so I was just going to say that my boyfriend now is probably about my height and probably the shortest guy that I've ever dated.
Starting point is 01:46:19 How tall is he? he's probably about 5455 on 5.4. So he's probably right about my height. All right. And so I'm okay with that. Go ahead. And he also has his nipples pierced. Oh, wow. Double whammy for Amy. Amy was being a hater on nipple rings earlier? Yeah, she was being a hater on nipple rings. But that's a personal preference.
Starting point is 01:46:41 Absolutely, absolutely. And I agree with that. But I do have to say that when I found that out, I thought it was really hot. Really? Really? Different struggles for different folks, man. Really, really, really, okay. Well, I appreciate that, you know. Thank you for sharing your story. She dates exactly the opposite you did.
Starting point is 01:46:57 Exactly, yeah. Shorter or same height and full-knit-poll. There's all kinds of kinds. That's right. There's all kinds of kinds. Yeah. Like you were debating the other day, or maybe, I don't know if you were debating. Was it on the air off?
Starting point is 01:47:07 On the air. We were talking about girls that have that specific nose ring that's like the bull. Oh, the septum thing? Oh, yeah. I don't like that. I don't like that. I don't like that. So rude of you.
Starting point is 01:47:18 Hate her? She can control that, though. You guys were, you're hating on a guy's physical. No, no, no. My deal breaker was nipple ring. My official deal breaker. Okay. I said I just had yet, I had yet to meet someone when I was dating shorter than me that I was going to date.
Starting point is 01:47:33 Real Housewife Danielle Stobb. How do you say your name? Stobb. Stobb is engaged for the 21st time. You got to be kidding me. Yeah. She put on. Like, and she's no peach.
Starting point is 01:47:44 What does that mean? Peach. Well, she's not easy to live with. She's not easy to deal with. She's very dramatic. You know, like that the... 21 engagements means 20 breakups. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:52 Right. But I'm like how... But these are promises to get married. That are, like, will, you know, deal with her. What's your name, bones? Danielle Stobb. Yeah. The 56-year-old real housewives of New Jersey Star has been engaged.
Starting point is 01:48:06 An extraordinary 20 times before has been married three times. This will be number four. She's confident I'm going to marry the man of my dreams and I'll spend the rest of my life in bliss. Oh. What time when how many times she said that? Like every time, right? You don't get engaged unless... Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:18 You think you're in love. You're in love. Ooh, look like shit, little. She's had some work. Little work down there. Well, she's 57. I mean, I mean. Okay.
Starting point is 01:48:25 The work makes her look older. That's the thing sometimes. Oh, she's trying to look older? No, no, no, no. The work will aid you. Well, she's been engaged a lot. I had never seen that story before. I should have seen that when she was engaged 15 times.
Starting point is 01:48:39 I talked about it then. Some saw that. There's just so much to talk about. What else you want to talk about? We'll give me the options. Well, did you see this girl that was. These two sisters found alive? Five and eight years old?
Starting point is 01:48:51 Oh, yes. Oh, my goodness. Oh. Yeah. These five and eight year old sisters with survival training were found alive in the wilderness after rescuers tracked their granola bar wrappers and boot prints. Yeah. It's a crazy story.
Starting point is 01:49:05 Two sisters, five and eight, were found alive in the California wilderness when, again, they had pink rubber boots on and one of the prints from one of the girls was there. They went missing from their home 6 p.m. Friday night. They were found by local fire on chief. 44 hours later, a mile and a half from the home. We're all witnessing a miracle. This is rugged territory, extreme environment. Here's the sheriff talking about the situation.
Starting point is 01:49:28 We got to prepare for the worst, hope for the best. And so we had the best investigators on the North Coast here, following up on potential criminal investigation. We didn't know if there was an abduction. They didn't know if they've been stolen. They did nothing. They had been trained through 4-H outdoor survival, and they believed that was part of their survival.
Starting point is 01:49:46 Like they knew some little things. But they were little explorers. Like they just didn't stop walking. They just went out in the wilderness. Yeah, and I think, didn't they like ask their mom if they could go out and the mom said no? And then they decided to go anyway. They're five and eight. I know.
Starting point is 01:50:03 It makes me think of the time I'd been a mom for like two days and my kids went missing. Oh, it was so dramatic. Have you told this around the air? Yeah. Eventually you did. I had not for a long time. So much show where I forgot about it until you brought it up. It was something I literally blocked out of my memory.
Starting point is 01:50:18 because I thought I'm going to have to go to the police and like turn. I didn't know if I'd have to turn myself in like because I felt guilty as an adoptive parent. Yeah. Yeah. Like cuff me. Amy's two kids, they were 10 and 7 at the time. Yes. They'd only been in the States for.
Starting point is 01:50:36 I'd have to check with people, but maybe a week. And again, it's cold here and they're from Haiti and it's warm there. So all these factors are, and Amy loses them. She's running down the street. She's crying. The babysitter's crying. Her dad's... Babysitter, husband.
Starting point is 01:50:51 We are all out in our neighborhood. Like, everybody is... We're somewhere on foot. I'm in a car. These kids don't know what they're in a car. Then my dad gets out. I mean, we're all over the place. Turns out.
Starting point is 01:51:03 They were in the attic. Because they didn't speak English. I thought if somebody finds them, there's no way. Or this is how it's going to go down. Like, it's going to end up in the news or in the paper of like, hey, found two small Haitians. like come claim them and then everyone would know like I'm an awful parent and I'd have to claim them. But yeah, they were hiding in the house. I mean, that was like a major sit down and they thought it was hilarious.
Starting point is 01:51:28 You know, they'd never really, they'd never had their own home before, never had an attic, never had a place to hide. Lived in an orphanage with 75 other kids. So, oh, good times. Yeah, that was a crazy one. I think I gave you a little space before I brought that up. Oh, for sure. We definitely, I mean, like almost. months and months and months until you finally brought it up.
Starting point is 01:51:49 And I was like, oh, yeah, that happened. Yeah, that's a tough one. Bobby Bones. The Bobby Bones show. Here's a funny text that came in. Well, what will happen first? I will get a girlfriend, a serious girlfriend, or I'll get to a million Instagram followers.
Starting point is 01:52:03 Right now I'm at like $889,000. So which happens first? I get a serious girlfriend or I hit a million Instagram followers. It's a tough one. You hit a million. Wow, that's it take forever. Really? You think there's no.
Starting point is 01:52:17 You are dating, though. Abating nobody anymore. I told you, they're both gone. Yeah, you said you were in the hole. I'm in the hole. And I say both. It wasn't even like two, really. I was one kind of and one, like a quarter.
Starting point is 01:52:27 Thing, dude, they're both gone? They're both gone. Just like that overnight? I'm back to Zirot. You're not on earth. I know. Okay. You're updating us later.
Starting point is 01:52:34 I feel like I want to ask questions. Ask a question. Okay. There's two girls I can think of. I've mentioned both of them, but I wouldn't say I was dating either one of them. There was the flight. attend it. And it just was too far. And we started looking at schedules last night. And it was like, Oh, it's, it was like, you live in Utah. I mean, yeah, you can barely schedule stuff with us here.
Starting point is 01:52:58 Right. I've been trying to hang out with Eddie for like six months. Yeah. And Eddie can't schedule that. Lives 20 minutes down the road. Right. And so it was just a thing. And it was like, this isn't going to work. Okay. I was, you know, I think we both were like, that was cool, but this is not going to work. Okay. So, go ahead. The next one is a little more complicated. Well, the other one was a little trickier, because I wasn't really dating. I went out with her a couple times, three times, right? And so, and then she met us out when Morgan number two and I went dancing.
Starting point is 01:53:25 I was going to say, is that who you went dancing with? It is. And then it was kind of like, I would say that she even broke it off with me a bit because I was like, hey, are we going to try to date or not? Oh, wow. Well, it's just like, let's just think my, because I copied in Texas, the copy and paste it to Morgan number two to see what she thought of my message. I was like, are we going to date or not because I got like the next few weeks I'm at
Starting point is 01:53:46 home mostly. Let's see if we like each other. If not, we're good, but if we do. You're like, because I'm available today right now. And if you miss this train, it's gone. It wasn't, it wasn't so much like that. But I was like, hey, it's so sporadic. And I was like, are we going to try it or not? Because either way I'm good. You can't say either way I'm good. Because then she's like, okay, well, he's not, it's not going to affect me. Okay, good. Because that's not a way to rule. Is that what I said. Is that what I said, Morgan, too. Do you want me to read it? Yeah, you can read it. Please don't say either way. Either way I'm good.
Starting point is 01:54:13 No, no, no. It's not what I said. That's what I meant more hard. He said, I'm in town mostly for the next few weeks. Let me know if we're trying to date a little and see if we like each other or not. I don't hurt. Too sporadic right now. I can't. It sounds like you're talking to like your manager. What?
Starting point is 01:54:30 Why didn't you send this to me last night? What is happening? Oh my gosh. You already sent that? Yeah, and she didn't reply. Yeah. Of course you replied. Finish reading, please.
Starting point is 01:54:40 Sorry. Did you sign it? Let me hear it again. Okay, let's listen again. Go ahead. Everybody quiet. But guys, I'm very pragmatic, right? I know.
Starting point is 01:54:48 I want to hear it again and peace. Go ahead. I'm in town mostly for the next few weeks. Let me know if we trying to date a little and see if we like each other or nah. Too sporadic right now. Did you say nah? Oh, boy. Like, are we trying to date each other or not?
Starting point is 01:55:04 It's like, we're trying to date each other or not. Listen, why are you hitting the table? I can't. I can't even know. I don't even know what that is. She probably has a reply because she's probably showing it to all of her girlfriends. She's like, what to have?
Starting point is 01:55:20 Look at this crap. Hey, you, read this. Bobby. That's how I was feeling. Why did I just say how you feel? What's wrong with what he said? I don't get it. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:55:29 Nah. It sounds like a business transaction. But listen, he's getting down to the point. I mean, I get wanting to know. Yeah, I mean. It's like, are we going to date? Why am I going to waste my time? Or nah.
Starting point is 01:55:40 Something I still had the feeling of like. What, go ahead. Let me know. We're trying to date a little. if you like each other are not. Yeah, Amy's reading it from... Spiratic right now. Yeah, it's like we've dated like,
Starting point is 01:55:50 we're not like three times over like a month. Like we're not even... I don't... Are we trying to date or not? Like, shh... But why haven't you guys gone on more dates? Is that because of you? Because it sounds like you're putting on her.
Starting point is 01:56:02 Because you ask her out. What? It sounds like you're saying like, hey, I've been trying to go out with you so like... So, like, so she's been saying no? No, she hasn't said no. Okay? I'm done.
Starting point is 01:56:14 I don't get it. It's like you could just ask her out. Phones. You could ask her out instead of asking her if she wants you to ask her out or not. Listen, I don't kind of be the best. I'm very vulnerable right now. This is why I can't be vulnerable with you guys because all I just get made fun of. You need a share.
Starting point is 01:56:29 No. You start slapping the table when I'm telling you. And he's like, please share, but let me make fun of you. I'm not saying it was the best. But I was just like, hey. That's so funny. What? Your text.
Starting point is 01:56:44 It's fun. funny to me. It wasn't the smoothest, but. It's not the smoothest, but I like what he's saying. It's like, look, if you're going to, like, if you don't have time for me, let me know. But what if she's like, so wins the last time you asked me out? Well, we were going to go yesterday and, like, box. And then my trainer ended up having a baby.
Starting point is 01:57:05 And so he couldn't. Okay. So it wasn't her. No, no. That was like, hey. And then you're like, my trainer can't train, but are we trying to date or not? Yes. I'm with Amy on this.
Starting point is 01:57:18 I didn't tell us right. I'm not arguing with you guys. Like that wasn't her fault. We don't even hang out. Wait, wait, wait, wait. That's what I did. I said, hey, do we want to try to do something else? And she said?
Starting point is 01:57:26 And she couldn't. And I was like, oh. Yeah, what's the deal? I was like, okay. Oh, well, I mean, did she have that time blocked off? Because why didn't you? Yeah, exactly. See, this is why he did.
Starting point is 01:57:35 I mean, I'm curious, but maybe that was her workout hour and she wanted to work out. Right. And I was like, hey, do you want to try something else? I think I said you want to do something else or do another activity we can work out. And she was like, nah. And I was like, all right. I said, have we tried a date or not?
Starting point is 01:57:47 Let me know. Oh, she say nah. No, I did. Oh, but the first time when she said not. Why did you say not? Did not feel natural to you? Yeah, I said all the time. Listen, I know, but when you typed.
Starting point is 01:57:57 I know, nah. I said it to you like. I know, nah. I'm like, do you like this song or nah? Yeah. Okay. So that's natural to you right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:03 Okay. But if she said nah in that text and then you responded with nah, nah, dude. Because what if she just replies back? Nah. But she hasn't even replied. Yeah, she doesn't reply to that. How on earth did you have two fish on the line and then you lose them both?
Starting point is 01:58:18 They're both like super pretty. Yeah, like beautiful trophy fish. Basically models. I'm not looking for a trophy. You had two trophies. I know. But then they seem to have really good personalities. What do you want for me?
Starting point is 01:58:31 I'm not good at this. No, we can tell from that text. And here I am opening my rib cage and showing you my heart and just take. taking shots. And you guys are stepping on his heart. Thank you. I mean, your lines were embarrassing. Not smooth, but you never claimed to be smooth.
Starting point is 01:58:44 At least he's putting his feelings out there. Amy, you always don't mean he used to put his feelings out. Thank you. But that wasn't him putting his feelings. That was you putting your calendar out there. Yeah. That would be like, that was not your feelings.
Starting point is 01:58:57 That was your schedule. He's saying he's interested. Like, let's try this. We're going to try it. If not, nah. Nah. Nah. Well, anyway.
Starting point is 01:59:06 There they go. Down the drink. Hey, guess what? What? There's more fish out there, dude. That's what Morgan number two said. And I was like, well, no crap, but he had two on the line. Okay.
Starting point is 01:59:14 I'm not trying to have two. No, no, I know that. Yeah, we know. You want to at least keep one, right? I like to have one, sure. I don't like to even call him as fish. I like to call them. That's a metaphor.
Starting point is 01:59:24 Okay. Anyway, are we done? I feel like we need to get her on to discuss. No way. Oh, yes, call her about this. No way. When she replies, you need to let us know. Oh, there is no reply.
Starting point is 01:59:35 I don't think she's ever going to reply to now. That's it. After a whole day. I think she changed her number. Yeah. How are you going to feel if she just like that means if she doesn't reply, that is like she just, whof, disappeared. Ghosty ghost. I'm okay with that.
Starting point is 01:59:50 Then at least I know. Yeah, then you got your answer. Even if I get a reply now, I'll be like, what? Why are you applying now? You have like 24 hours. Maybe she's thinking about it. Nah. Maybe she was asleep.
Starting point is 02:00:02 Wow. Okay. Well, listen. Wow, wow. What's up? Nothing. Do you like me less? No, of course not.
Starting point is 02:00:08 I'm not going to not like you because of that. I actually like you more. It was highly entertaining. That it was. Morgan number two, what do you haven't said much over there? What do you think about this whole thing? I honestly, like being in the dating world right now, I think it was very fair. It was very direct.
Starting point is 02:00:24 And most people would, in a dating situation would want to have a conversation like that if it's sporadic. No, she didn't want that conversation. She never applied. But at least he knows now that she's not in it for that. He just found that a little rough. She's more of the non. Oh, I know. The not persuasion.
Starting point is 02:00:41 Maybe her phone died? No, I'm not even sitting here waiting for it. And I'm not even making any excuse. She doesn't have a charger. Yeah. And then. Oh, it fell in water. I'm trying to think of reasons why she wouldn't reply.
Starting point is 02:00:57 Oh, wait, is that your phone going on? No. Oh, my gosh. All right. Did she listen? Probably not. No, no. No.
Starting point is 02:01:04 No. You guys are rude. Do you listen or not? Much like you didn't know who it was. I would? Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. She's beautiful.
Starting point is 02:01:13 You would know her. And you would be like... You don't know her, but you know her. Bobby, you're crazy. Wait, Learns Pazzo? No, he knows her from like... How he would know her because stuff he's into. Oh, team mom, dude.
Starting point is 02:01:25 No, no. Wow. Done, done. Rapsed it. Well, I tell you, the show kept going once we got off the air and went to a quick commercial break. Amy was just hammering me about that text that says that girl.
Starting point is 02:01:37 Sorry. It's all right. No, it's fair. If I'm just letting you guys know, I open up and I'm vulnerable. I know, and I don't want you to not be vulnerable. But I don't want you to not say what you really feel. So we're going to a good place right now.
Starting point is 02:01:47 Yeah. This is what happened yesterday. Because I really wasn't dating anyone, right? There's nothing like I would say I'm dating. But I was going, I went out with that flight attendant. She had lived in Utah. I'd flown in. We had a good time.
Starting point is 02:01:58 But our schedules wouldn't match. And they didn't match for like two months. And it was like, let's not even want. waste our time. Then I'd been out with another girl a couple times, but it was over like a period. And I was like, hey, we're going to date or nah. And I text her that and Amy thought that was the funniest thing she'd ever heard. Well, that girl never replied to me. So I guess it's a nah. I guess it's a hard-in-na. But yeah, I mean, I just was trying to be direct. Yeah. Everybody's always like, people aren't direct nowadays. Okay, well, how about this? Alan, you're on in Virginia.
Starting point is 02:02:27 Hey, how you doing? What's up, buddy? I agree with you, Bob. You got to be direct, especially when you have a hectic lifestyle and a hectic schedule. Because if you're not direct about it, then you're not going to have a relationship. Yeah, I felt like I wasn't doing anything that wasn't honest. Maybe it wasn't the way Amy would have liked it done to her. No, maybe not. I mean, some people don't like it, like direct. Some people prefer to play the game.
Starting point is 02:02:51 If you're direct, you've got a better side of a long-term relationship. Well, I appreciate that, bud. There you go. Yeah. I'm not saying if I got that note from you that I wouldn't date you because then I was like, this guy's funny. Hey, Lunchbox, do you know who this is? Let's see.
Starting point is 02:03:12 He's scrolling. Hello? No, not hello. But don't say anything about it. Do you know her? Why would I know her? But I'm... Okay, don't make noise.
Starting point is 02:03:22 He's looking at a lot of pictures. No, no, hold on. No, because he's going to like things. No, I would not like anything. Oh, that would be so awkward. There's a lot of clicking going on. I'm just... Eddie, get my phone.
Starting point is 02:03:31 I'm not going to fight. He's trying to fight me. No, don't. Thank you. Thank you very much. I'm like eight-year-olds here. Let me see again. Brunting and clicking.
Starting point is 02:03:39 I'm done with you guys. I'm done. You know, I watch abducting a plain sight. Oh, how did you do that? Wait, wait, how are you pivoting from her to? Because there's nothing else to say about that. We already spent a lot of time. Just updating.
Starting point is 02:03:50 I did watch on Netflix abducted in plain sight. It was so bizarre. It was more, first of all, after you watch the Ted Bundy tapes, you start to get numb to these murder shows. Yeah, but this took some turns where you're like. This took turns where it was so bizarre. Right. It's on Netflix.
Starting point is 02:04:08 It's called Abducted in a Plainside. It's one episode. It's an hour and a half. And it's about a young girl who gets abducted. And it's weird for me to talk about it. Like it's not a... But we watch and we listen to all these podcasts and it's all this crime thrilling...
Starting point is 02:04:22 You just get numb to it. Yeah. And that's not good for your self. It's not. And I watched it. I thought it was fine. The story's terribly tragic. It was just too weird.
Starting point is 02:04:32 It was so weird that it removed me from it even more. because it was so bizarre with the mom and the dad I mean weren't you like what in the world everybody's talking about it yeah what in the world what can I say about her
Starting point is 02:04:44 on this show you mean without giving anything away just how crazy and how the parents should be in prison we have said that this guy
Starting point is 02:04:54 whoever this kidnapper let me say manipulative yes he did so he wanted to get with a little girl and so in order to do that
Starting point is 02:05:00 he hooked up with the mom and had a relationship with her and he also hooked up with the dad and so he had secrets on both of them yeah and he knew knew that. He was like, my goal was to
Starting point is 02:05:07 manipulate them, get them under my... He hooked up with the dad. And then he had the dad. Like, you don't say anything or I'll let this know. It's wild, man. It's wild. Anyway, there you go. I did watch it. This guy's 88 years old. He'll retire for the second time after
Starting point is 02:05:25 working the McDonald's drive-thru for almost 30 years. That's cool, man. He hung in there. He retired at 60. Then he was like, I'm bored. Then he did it again. Work for another 29 years. Wow. He used to work in a factory. I was like, hey, not for me anymore.
Starting point is 02:05:42 Then he goes, I like being, that's why I'll never retire. Why? Because I'll be bored. Do you see Kanye can never retire based on his contract? Did you guys do that in the news? Who's his contract with? His publisher, who he writes music for, part of his deal was he can never retire. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:56 That's crazy. I don't know how often he's got to keep producing, but yeah, you can never retire. I heard that yesterday. Well, we're going to retire for the day, hey. You like that? I'm on the Radio Hall of Fame. I'll try you. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:07 Amy, what's going on today? Well, tonight I'm coming to the country music Hall of Fame. And my husband and my kids are coming. You know why? Because Bobby has an exhibit there. Well, I don't know that I have a full exhibit. Oh, yeah. You're being featured or whatever you call it.
Starting point is 02:06:20 There'll be a thing. I mean, it looks close to an exhibit, right, Mike? It's pretty. Have you seen it? I've just heard about it. And I am like, got so excited that I was like, okay, my kids need to see this. They're going to be bored by it. They're just kids.
Starting point is 02:06:32 I think that it's still going to be neat. So I made sure to see if they could come to and they're coming. It is its own glass and capsule. Yeah. What do you call it? Artifacts? Are they artifacts in there? I'm not a dinosaur.
Starting point is 02:06:42 I'm not a dinosaur as friends. The Country Music Hall of Fame is featuring me as part of an exhibit. And it's my own thing, which is just crazy. And it's got like my headphones I travel with. It's got my dancing with the stars jacket and shoes. My Radio Hall of Fame trophy. A.C.M. Award. Look, you see a picture of it?
Starting point is 02:06:58 I woke up thinking about it. Like, that's how, like, I woke up thinking because I was thinking about my day. And then I'm going to do and make sure the kids are ready. But I was like, Bobby, is. He's in like a museum. Like I'm taking the kids to be like, here's a museum and this is about Bobby. Like it's crazy.
Starting point is 02:07:14 I know, I'm not dead. I know. I'm not dead. That's a lot of pressure. You know, I mean, yeah, it's a little, it's a currents. It's like the currents. It's like the, you're featured. But it's super. Yeah, he's here. Hi.
Starting point is 02:07:23 And I like how you gave him your travel headphones, not the headphones that you use every day. I've had these headphones on for, not 17, 21 years. Because that would be a big deal. When we build our new studio, I got to retire them. No. Well, because we're not using headphone headphones anymore. What are we using? Well, it just goes into our brain.
Starting point is 02:07:37 You guys will. I won't. I'm going to use a little bitty tiny ears. Oh, okay. Because I have a big late night talk show desk where guests are going to sit. You don't put headphones on there. So it'll be like in ears, those thingies? Kind of, yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:47 Molded to your ear. Oh, yeah. Or you mold that thing like you do it. I'm just going to have chips inserted in my ears. My comedy show I wear a TED Talk mic. Yeah. Like Garth sort of. Well, Garth is a little bigger.
Starting point is 02:07:59 Okay, you're right. He has the bigger. I'm more like a little ball. I'm more like Brittany. All right, we got to go. I have a. I have a, that, that, that tonight. Looking forward to that.
Starting point is 02:08:08 Yeah. That's too. The Country Music Hall of Fame. I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. Do I stand in it? And then wave at people and they come look at it. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:08:17 Well, it's like a, you're like, Dan and Jay are there, right? They have one? Oh, I thought they were there to support you. No, no, no. I'm not the only one. No, there's a bunch. There's like people. That was a group.
Starting point is 02:08:29 Dan and Shea. Okay. Kane Brown. Nicole Gallion, the songwriter. She has. Like she had three number ones last year. I get it now. I thought Dan and Jay were coming to perform like for your brand.
Starting point is 02:08:41 No. Okay, because I was like, oh, this will be fun. I get it now, okay. I wish. No, that's cool that they have their own too. Thank you guys. Won't you be my neighbor? Won't you be, please, won't you be?
