Guaranteed Human.
You're listening to a podcast,
so you're doing something else too.
Like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin,
saving places you like without thinking you'll get them,
because that's what house hunting has become.
But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing.
It's built to help you find and own a home.
Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents,
which means when you find a place you love,
you got a real shot of getting it.
Redfin helps turn saved listings.
into real addresses.

Own the dream.
The Disneyland resort is everything.
We came to play the Calliway.
Felt like I was in the round-up game
with Woody and Pixar Pigsar Peer.
Have you been holding out on us?
No, just showing you where the real Hollywood stars are.
Like Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
Oh, there's jazz, right?
And a drop.
You'll see.
Grab a Mickey Pretzel on the way.
Girl, you'll read in my mind.
We're almost there.
Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park.
We came to play.
Both part tickets and reservations
require such as two restrictions change
and cancellation without notice.
Visit Disneyland.com for details.
And now for a bit of breaking news
between your breaking news.
With me, the Geico Gecko.
Here are some things you ought to know today.
People have switched their car insurance to Geico
save about $900 a year.
Experts are calling that
nice to know.
Also, plants can hear when bees buzz.
My phycas just heard that.
And finally, animal experts have confirmed
that goats have regional
accents.
I'm getting a hint of Irish there.
It feels good to get good news.
It feels good to Geico.
Spring is in the air and a leaves.
Long-lasting pain relief is here to keep you moving.
The days are longer.
The flowers are blooming.
Whether it's gardening, yard work, or just spending more time outdoors,
spring has a way of getting us moving despite any body pain.
That's where a leave can keep you going.
With just one dose, a leave gives you long-lasting body pain relief for up 12 hours.
From sun up to sundown, a leave's got your back.
Try a leave.
Use as directed for minor aches and pains.
All right.
The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show.
Hey, about to start Monday's show.
I guess we finished real life,
but you're going to hear the show coming up in a second.
But thanks for hanging out with this.
Thanks for checking out the podcast.
And if you guys share this on your Insta stories,
like we appreciate that.
That's mostly how people find our show is word of mouth.
I mean, think about Netflix shows.
What shows do you watch on Netflix?
Shows that I hear about from people.
Yeah.
I mean, this massive platform, and really what affects us most is word of mouth.
And so, yeah, if you like the show and you don't mind sharing it with your friends, that would be awesome.
And tag us too.
Tag at Bobby Bone Show.
I see it on the dance party, sometimes Morgan number two will take and share those, right?
Yeah, they can share.
Why were you not able to comment on my pictures that one time?
Remember that when I was tagging you?
Oh, I can add your story to...
Why?
I think it's because you're just so famous now.
I don't think that's true.
It really didn't let me.
It didn't let me on any of them.
I got some things to talk about today.
I actually slept really good last night.
Oh, that's awesome.
The weird thing, too, it's been like two and a half weeks.
I've taken nothing to go to sleep.
Oh, good feeling.
For two and a half weeks.
And I wanted to take his annex yesterday on the flight
because I had a five-hour flight from Seattle to Atlanta.
But I'm on a streak of touching nothing.
And I was like, you know what, I'm just going to gut it out.
And I didn't.
I didn't only sleep on the plane that much.
Not a great plane sleep.
sleeper, but I haven't taken, I'm pretty proud of myself.
Yeah.
Taking anything in two and a half weeks.
Especially for someone who doesn't sleep well.
But I'm telling you, a key is I go to bed with the TV on.
And I know people say you shouldn't, but I can't fall asleep with it off because I hear
sounds.
I start to get super anxious.
So I have the TV on.
Obviously rooted from my childhood when I didn't have a bedroom and slept on a couch
my whole life.
And the TV was always on in the house.
But that being said, it needs to go off when I fall asleep.
And my TV is old and doesn't have a sleep timer.
I guess I could invest in a new TV.
I'm not trying to buy TV though for a sleep timer.
Well, yeah.
Because you wouldn't want to, because, hold on a minute.
Because you wouldn't want to buy, if I'm going to buy a TV, I'd buy a nice one, right?
Yeah.
I don't feel like I want to buy a nice TV for just a sleep timer.
Well, I don't know.
It's like my air conditioner.
The stupid thing breaks every two months.
Yeah, but you use the TV in the air.
Well, yours break.
That's abnormal.
It's abnormal.
And I, what I do, it costs $80 to get this part.
And I can either pay $80 to have the part fixed.
or I can pay like $2,000 for a whole new system.
I'm going to pay $80 all day long.
Right.
Back to my point.
Netflix does the are you still watching?
And then if you don't click,
if you don't click it, it just sits there
and then it eventually goes off.
And it really is, like I slept like seven hours last night,
which is great for me.
So really feeling like a million bucks.
Good.
Got a hair, so can I have kind of a fresh haircut?
Yeah.
I got another mokone up Thursday, though.
I was going to say, wait, I thought you were getting a haircut this week.
How did I know that?
You're not on my calendar, are you?
No.
Oh.
I wish.
No.
What do you mean you wish?
Well, I don't know.
Sometimes it would be helpful to know all the things.
Yeah, that's what I wish.
Because I have to text other people because you don't know sometimes.
Oh, I don't.
Right.
My schedule, and I don't mean this in any sort of dushy way.
My schedule has so many dots on it that sometimes I just give up.
Right.
And in the beginning of all that craziness, like when things really,
started to pick up for you several years ago.
Yeah.
Probably like two.
Yeah, two or three.
It was annoying because it was like, oh, like we've been friends.
It's annoying to me too.
I know.
So now I'm having to go through these people, but now, of course, I like the people, and
it's fun and I don't mind checking with them.
It's way easier because they actually know an answer.
It was on my answer story.
That's how you know I was getting a haircut.
Okay.
I was like, whoa.
This is weird.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah, your haircut on Thursday.
I am looking forward to that.
I was like, how do I remember?
know this. You know who is on my calendar now and actually puts a lot of
into Morgan number one. Yes. She's over to that side now. Yeah. So,
she's kind of someone I text now for that stuff now. My point is,
your point was you need a new TV. Oh yeah, smart TV. You're one of those 4K ones.
I don't feel like spending that kind of money. Oh, well then don't get one. What kind of TV do
have in your bedroom? A normal? I don't know. I don't think it's, I don't know if it's a timer.
We don't use it. You have a TV in your bedroom lunchbox? Nope. There's no time for TV in the
bedroom. Okay. My husband, I always thought that too. Like, we didn't have a TV in our bedroom until
we moved into this house that we're in now. And this, so this is, we've been there three years.
So the first nine years of our marriage, no TV. Game changer. I love it.
Did the baby still sleep in your room, lunchbox? No, he's got his own room. He's got his crib and everything.
Down the stairs, got the noise maker on, try not to hear him. Do you ever wake up because he makes a
noise? Yeah. Oh, you do? Yeah. Like last night I heard him, he, he,
cried out for like a minute.
And I woke up and I was like, oh, no, my wife's going to have to get up and go down and get him.
Oh, you woke him and thought your wife was going to go down.
Yeah.
You don't go down.
No, I mean, when I got to work early, it's tough for me to get up there and go down there.
What is she doing?
What do you mean?
Like, doesn't she have to work?
Yeah, but not as early as me.
What time does she wake up?
Ah, 7.
7.30.
And she chills out, has some coffee, and takes her time.
And then the kid gets up around 8.30.
She's still working
To the golf place?
Yep.
Yeah.
She's loving it.
Really?
Yeah, she's like a boss now.
Like a boss?
Like a boss?
Or like literal...
Both.
Yeah?
Yeah, like she has people
that's underneath her
and she tells them
you do this, you do that.
I'm the boss.
Probably means she's making a lot of money, huh?
Does she make more than you?
No.
How do you know?
Because I know what she makes.
But you don't tell her how much you make.
Correct.
She doesn't ask.
She never even just said really...
It's weird.
She knows what's up.
She knows Papa's bringing the bacon home.
Okay.
Papa and bacon, two terms I don't think I ever use.
That's what you called.
So you don't split things 50-50s and you make more, right?
Incorrect.
Okay.
You buy more than she does?
Yes.
Like I do most of the grocery shopping because I can make more than her.
Do you go to the store?
Yep.
Do you take a list?
Yeah, but when she gives me a list, she gives me some stuff that I just can't find.
Like tampons can't find those ever.
I don't ever know what aisle they're on.
So I just tell her, sorry, I couldn't find them.
You had to go back.
Wow, there's these aisles at the grocery store with labels.
He can find them.
He can find them.
I was watching this post-show pre-show on Facebook.
Because again, it's like a little TV show now.
You can watch it up there.
We got multi-c cameras.
Eddie's running all over there.
And I was watching it on Friday as we were heading out to Denver to do our raging idiot show.
And it was brutal at times.
People just get in and make noise and just be angry and irritated for no reason.
Oh, the comments.
Yes.
Okay, I thought you're talking about this.
Well, I thought you were talking about my work.
I was like, oh, brutal.
It was that bad?
So are they blocked, those people?
Yes.
We're blocking people.
You can't ruin the experience of everybody else.
People just try to be in the chat room and hang out and talk
and other people are like jumping all over.
And you can disagree with something,
but you have to post it 11 times to be hateful about it.
Yeah.
So I was keeping track of names.
I was like, block them.
I also feel too that like when somebody says something bad,
then a lot of other listeners come to our defense.
But then now everyone's just fighting and not watching.
in the feed. It's like, guys, the whole point
is so you can watch the show.
You're not fight about it. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it.
That's the amazing thing about all the choices.
Yeah. So I wouldn't even care if people were just
saying stuff, but it ruins it for everybody else too.
So if they go negative, they got to go?
It's not going negative, but it's being a douchebag. You got to go.
There are some people, this one girl was just
ripping Amy nonstop for nothing. Amy was doing
nothing except just hanging out.
She was like, Amy's ruining the show. Amy's
the worst. And she just
obviously had a bone. She's like, Amy's so fake.
I was like, Amy, like the most real one
the show. Anyway, I had your back. Well, not to them. I just had her blocked. I had it removed.
So, yeah, but you can, if you're listening to this later, you can still watch this whole thing.
Just go to Facebook.com slash Bobbybone Show. Got a couple questions for you. How often do you kiss your spouse?
I mean, every day that I see them. One time?
I mean, it depends on the day, but, I mean, now that we have kids, but at least, at least once a day.
The strongest relationships kiss three times a day.
Do you use tongue ever still?
Yes.
You do?
Okay.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Who said really?
I did because like do you just do it like when the kitchen while you guys are doing dishes or like only that time.
Is it every day that you use tongue?
No, I'm just asking.
I don't use tongue like when we're just like watching TV like, oh, I miss you.
I'm getting a kiss.
Like I don't do that.
I know I'm answering yes to that bar.
Okay, got you.
But I mean like, it's like there's like there's like there's.
There's a place in time.
No, I get what you're alluding to.
Yeah.
Okay, good.
But I mean, doesn't the tongue eventually get like, it's just the same tongue?
Well, I mean, then you could.
The lips are the same lips and the...
Listen, I haven't been in a relationship.
You guys have been together for a long time.
How long?
12 years, three years, and Eddie, 12, right?
I'm 13.
I'm married to.
13.
You guys, all in your healthy relationship.
friendships with kids.
Well, you know.
Define healthy.
Mountains and valleys, you know,
ups and downs.
There's peaks.
When is the best time to have a deep conversation
with your spouse in your mind?
Ooh.
Probably normally when he tries and he tries to talk,
get into stuff when I'm getting ready for work.
Like in the morning, first thing.
It's so early.
I'm tired.
And I'm like, I really don't have time for this right now.
And then that kind of sets a bad tone for the day.
Because he is up and at him and feeling good
morning and you're just not yet. Right. And he's also not, he got up with me, but he's not getting up,
like getting ready for work. Like he can make coffee. He reads, watches the news, gets ready for the
gym, because his workday doesn't start for hour. Like, he wakes up with me just because the alarm goes
off. So he's got things on his mind, and that's when he tries to have conversations with me. And
like, I don't have time for it. And then I get snippy. And then it's just not good. But I would say for
me the ideal time would be in the afternoon, like not before bed and not when waking up.
So somewhere in the middle.
The best time is at brunch.
Late morning is when the brain is best able to process important life decisions.
There we go.
I like your shirt, by the way.
Oh, thank you.
It reminds me of the Jerry Seinfeld.
What?
What?
What?
I know stand-up comedy.
Are they making fun of a blouse?
Or he goes on the late night show and they make fun of his shirt.
That's it.
But I like the shit.
It's not exactly the same, but I like it.
But it does remind me of that.
A boy was wearing a shirt.
this?
Well, that's why it's funny.
It's the puppy shirt.
Oh.
On Seinfeld.
Can someone show Amy?
Mike, do we try to find a picture of the puppy shirt?
The puppy shirt, okay.
And they do a whole episode because he doesn't want to wear it, but he promised this
girl that he would wear it because she designed it.
There you go, look.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I actually have one probably here more.
It actually looks just like it.
Similar to that.
And I saw, I saw it this morning and I liked it, but I also didn't want to make the
reference to the puppy shirt because in the morning, you just don't know.
get what kind of mood I'm in.
Well, to be fair,
what kind of mood either one of us are in?
Sure.
So it was just like not,
I was like, I like it.
And it does remind me of that,
but I'm going to wait until the show's over,
so I do like it.
Well, thanks.
And for any girls watching that like it,
it's Top Shop, which is such a great brand
because it's so affordable.
For dudes too.
Pretty affordable and you can get pretty nice clothes.
Yeah, it's a good brand.
Like for I don't want to get about all these clothes
and it has to look good.
Got a top shop, like,
for like really good looking clothes,
it's a pretty
mid,
inexpensive stuff.
You can find like, unique cute stuff.
Yeah.
There's an app
for single dog lovers
that's called Dig.
Yeah.
DIG displays local dog-friendly
areas for matches.
It's also a great way
to find your dog a friend.
I'm one shot
away from my dog being able to play.
He's got his third set of shots
in like a week.
Well, after that,
then he can play with other dogs.
And he still has like a single dog
occasionally.
But he's got to get all a shot
so he doesn't get like parvo or.
Oh, yeah, that would be bad.
Whatever else he gets.
I was telling Eddie, look, I wish there was a dating app for orphans.
I'd like to date an orphan.
What?
He did tell me that.
They don't have to deal with mine.
I'd like to just date an orphan.
Like who has time for in-laws?
Yeah, who's got time for that?
Okay.
Like, really, Amy, like, you lucked out, and I lucked out for the most part.
We have pretty decent in-laws, but I've heard of some stories that, like, in-laws are just, like, monstrous.
I said I looked out because I got orphans.
No, no, no.
But I get, yeah.
Yeah, they'd have to have lost both of their parents
Because like my children, there are things
But they have a mom and a dad now that's me
I have a dad, he just ran away
I know, but okay
But you need more than like, yes
So either they'd have zero relationship with their parents
Or their parents have passed
I mean, you're getting too serious on this
I'm just trying not to deal with them
We're breaking it down way to leave
So like you need a person with no parents
That'd be good
That would be an orphaned
I know but it just sounds creepy
you wanting to date. It sounds like you're wanting to date like
an orphan, like a kid. I don't
like the sound of that. So we're going to go ahead
and call it. You need, you want a girl
with no family. You used to be
an orphan.
I don't know.
But think of the,
if she has amazing parents, what an
opportunity would be for you to have
them and experience that.
These problems. I have issues.
I'm like, oh, they're judging me. And often think about
if I ever do get married, I don't have anybody to
be at my wedding. Like I have no first dance. My mom's not around. Yeah. And so I don't want her to have it
either. Wait, that is a, I mean, that's, that could be Amy. I mean, you're not the only person.
That could be what? That could be you. You want to do your first dance with me? I don't think so.
Who gives Bobby? But I mean, I will, I will lack that. But I've always lacked that. But I've always
lacked that. I mean, then there's people get married all the time that have lost a parent that
that would have to fill those shoes. But I wonder who, normally it's like an aunt or an uncle or a
yeah
what are you going to do
well first I got to find a girlfriend
and then I got to get engaged
and I got to get set of
that's when I do these things on Instagram
I'll pull it up right now
I do the
hey ask me
whatever you want
like I was on a flight for all day yesterday
I was like hey ask me questions
that's where you saw I was getting a haircut
and so like what are my top
three favorite books and I wrote more than three
but I put them all down
I know I was like show off
well I'm like
oh you thought that was show off
I was just like
I'm joking
I'm like
I get it
We get it
We get it
You like to read
The places you go
Or whatever
It's so good
Uh huh
Why are you being a hater
Joking
Calm down
Joke joke joke
I like to read
I can't even tell you
First thing that comes in my head
sometimes
I wasn't serious
But I was like
Okay show off
But most of them
Are questions like
Who are you dating
That's 90% of them
And mostly it's like
Not I don't really have an answer
so I don't really respond to that one.
I mean, I've been dating.
I don't know if dating.
I've been out with someone.
Oh, yeah.
I saw someone the other day
that I'd heard you'd gone out with from you.
Really?
You saw, text me who it is.
I saw somebody post about them.
You could probably figure it out.
Now I got it.
And I was like,
oh, I wonder if he's gone out with her again.
That's a good question.
Okay.
Well, let me ask it in a clear
way. Have you gone out with her again? More than once? Have you gone out with her more than once?
Twice? Three times? Wow. Hold on. He's stalling because he's trying to think how to answer this around
the way. Relax. I take the fifth right now. See? Plead the fifth. Eddie. Yes, sir. Yes. Why are you trying
to show out right now? I take the fifth. I plead the fifth. There was another word. Show out.
I got corrected. Oh, show off. And now I'm getting corrected on show out and show off. Why are you guys
hating? Amy, he's deflecting. He changed the subject.
so we would stop asking about the girl.
Oh, I don't care.
You can ask me.
I mean, I've been out with a few people.
I just did ask you and you defleck.
Yeah, exactly.
I didn't deflect.
I'm trying to find the way to answer it
in the most diplomatic way possible.
Okay.
So I don't give too much away.
All right.
There's no deflection here.
I never deflect fully.
Fully.
Just a little bit.
I've been out.
It's hard for me to find time to go out.
But I've been out.
I'm on dates,
multiple dates.
With her.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I've been out with a couple of people,
but not in the consistency.
Okay.
Morgan number two knows about more than anyone, right?
You know most of them.
I think I know about all of them.
All of them.
Wow.
I mean, are we talking?
That's a lot.
I mean, just like you're the ones you've been going with.
And the whole like calendar, like over the past years.
Yeah.
No, right now, yeah.
Yeah.
How's it going with you?
It's not going.
Nothing?
Yep.
Just hanging out by myself.
I also get a lot of, are you in Morgan number two secretly dating?
Oh, yeah.
Every time I post a pool picture, everybody's like, is that Bobby's pool?
Are you hanging out of Bobby's pool?
To be fair, I thought that when you posted your last picture.
The first thing I thought was, oh, yeah, that's Bobby's pool.
And then I look closer.
I'm like, oh, that's not Bobby's pool.
No, we are not secretly dating.
Are we?
I don't know, are we?
It's so secret.
Y'all don't need people.
Yeah, they can't reveal or else it wouldn't be secret anymore.
That's true.
That's true.
Amy, anything you'd like to say?
Well, it's Monday.
so I don't have a new podcast up.
But I will tomorrow.
Yeah, Caroline Hobby has a new one up
with Caitlin Bristow from The Bachelor in The Bachelorette.
You can check that out.
It's called Get Real.
Thomas Strutt's coming to my house this afternoon to do one.
That'd be a good one.
That's called The Bobbycast.
Amy'll have it up tomorrow.
Yeah, four things.
Anything you'd like to say about Family Feud before.
I almost want my name tag this morning.
Oh, my dog ate mine.
She ate it.
So depressing.
We didn't win.
I was a little nervous going into it last night
where I was like, oh, this comes off, okay.
I almost wore my denim jacket with...
Which I made and bought everybody matching denim jackets with their names,
and had them written, and then they give us the name tag.
It's supposed to go on the other side.
So we had names on both of our nipples.
We had it embroidered and then on the tag.
I'll just say, I didn't remember a lot of it.
Like watching it back, I was like, collie, I'm so dumb.
Yeah, and the weird thing was, too, when Steve Harvey,
I said this last week on the tree, came over and goes,
how's it going?
And I went good.
When he would come to me, Moat, the crowd was still cheering
because it was the beginning, and I just couldn't hear a lot of times.
But I said some stupid stuff too.
My answer was not good.
But again, it was fun.
It was fun.
That was an important thing was watching it back, I realized just how fun it was.
Like that day it was fun, but it was so long ago.
I forgot about the fun.
And then seeing it back, I was like, okay, legit fun.
Yeah.
And how did you watch it at Lunchbox if you didn't have TV?
I watched it on Hulu Live.
My brother has Hulu Live.
So I logged into his account on my phone.
sitting at the airport.
On your phone?
Yeah.
He had to download the app for me.
I couldn't figure out how to do it.
And so he logged me in.
I sat at the airport and my plane was delayed.
And so I just sat there.
I didn't have headphones.
And so I just had to play it out loud with the sound on and everything.
Were the people annoyed with you?
I tried to sit away from people.
I sat in the food court.
Oh, that's good.
And so it was kind of like a little bit loud.
And I sat at a table with myself.
So people sitting around me were bothered.
They didn't say anything.
Or I'd be like, look, it's me on the show.
so nothing you can do about it.
Like, I'm a big deal.
True. And Eddie, you didn't get to watch it.
I did not. My cable provider still doesn't have ABC,
so it's just a slate that says,
sorry, we're working on it, but as of now,
you don't have this channel.
Morgan number two, you watched it.
Yeah, I had to watch it through my family
FaceTiming me of theirs
because I have DirecTV now,
the streaming part of that, so I still can't see it.
We just watched it four different ways, really.
I watched it on TV.
Amy watched it on Hulu Live from her computer,
The Lunchbox watched it on his phone from his brother's account,
and Morgan number two watched it through FaceTime of our family's account.
So many ways to get media.
And to clarify, I know you're thinking, Hulu Live and it's just on my computer,
but that's what we have on all of our TVs now.
So we actually watch it on the TV.
Somehow it sinks up from the computer to the TV.
It's like magic.
So we had it on the computer on the TV.
Isn't it all magic?
We don't have anything like.
Technology is so crazy.
Everything's magical.
Because it works all the time, we just consider it.
Like I'm looking at a curag right now in the green room.
I don't know how that works.
One of the best inventions ever.
Put a cup in and the magic.
You got freaking coffee or tea.
Eddie comes to my house and goes right to the curig.
First thing I do.
Just walks right in.
Nothing?
Right to the curig.
Eddie, do you have one?
I do.
Oh, okay.
I have a latte curig.
It makes lattes.
Do you know the inventor of the curig is mad they invented the currig?
Why?
There's so much waste.
Oh, yeah.
Recycle.
Is that right?
He regrets it.
But didn't he make some, aren't there new pods?
Yes, there are pods without the plastic.
Yeah.
Oh, I didn't know that.
I don't drink coffee, so I have no idea with this.
I just know that that's, he talks about it.
Well, just heads up.
If it's a concern, there's, like, biodegradable.
Would you listen on the podcast?
On a podcast?
I don't know.
Maybe on how he built it or something or something.
I don't know where.
Maybe.
I just know I've heard it in the story, him talking about how he just wishes it that never exist.
But gosh, do I love plastic straws?
And that's just such a thing.
You want to get people fired up on Instagram, post yourself using a plastic straw.
Yeah, and I used to be like, uh, screw it.
I'm just going to be all, I like plastic straws.
But what's the use of riling people up?
Oh, I'm not trying to rob me.
I would do that.
I drink out of like four plastic straws and put it up on Instagram.
But like what's the, really, we should try to save the environment.
Right.
Like for real.
And I regret at times doing things like that just to kind of evoke people who are like,
I like to do that in different ways.
But like for the environment, like I'm kind of in.
But paper straws are so gross.
They are gross.
Just don't use a straw.
Be a, be an adult and pour it into your mouth.
But yes, paper straws are gross.
I don't use them all the time.
And I still will use a plastic straw
occasionally.
I'm not perfect.
I wish people would stop saying I am
because I'm not.
You're not.
What if, like, predominant,
like most of the straw is paper,
but the part where you put your lip
is plastic.
It's a teeny tiny part.
That would be a move in the right direction.
Right.
Really.
You should invent that.
Yeah.
Like, I don't do the whole,
okay, I'm screw everybody.
I'm drinking plastic anyway.
Yeah, no.
There's no.
Stop it.
That's not me.
Just don't rub it in.
You're good.
Try your plastic.
Everybody else is going to try to make a little change.
Maybe we can dent this thing up a little bit.
The world's going to blow up anyway in a hundred years.
Starbucks won't have plastic straws by 2020.
So we got that to look forward to.
Morgan, number two, any thoughts about family feud before we leave?
You watched it on FaceTime.
Oh, yeah.
I had some questions for you.
Can I ask them?
Give me like one or so.
I'm going to recommend a podcast and we're going to get out of here.
But go ahead.
Okay.
I'm going to choose very carefully.
Has Brooklyn and Andy been bragging about the
win since it happened. No, I talked to them last night and we tweeted and texted and stuff.
Like, they are two of my closest friends, so they would brag, but no, not really. It was fun.
And also, I wasn't a goober. I was like, hey, congrats to them. They won. They deserved to win.
I think if I'd have been like, oh, we got cheated. They'd have probably pushed it more.
But I also owe Andy a lot of money because we made a sidebed on it. But I'm just going to donate it to
his foundation today. Is it over under 100? Over. What do you think?
Over. Oh my gosh.
significant amount of money. What do you think?
When he says undisclosed, that means it's
way over $100. I know. I was trying to
get him to go up a little bit more. Like a million.
Let's try to watch. Stop it.
Is it over
under $25?
It's uh, oh my goodness. It's right as that line.
What else Morgan number two?
Who is the actual like best asset
on the team and who was the worst?
Amy was our best asset. Because that's
an entertainment show and you're playing
for charity. I think Amy was our
Amy was the one that you, she was, you
were actually with you with Steve Harvey.
When you're up there, you were saying things that were really funny.
That's why they were like, I told you a producer texted me last night about you.
It was super funny.
That show, Amy.
My performance wasn't good.
It's fine.
But I feel like when I'm in a group saying like that, I got to kind of be the guy that does this.
It keeps everybody together and kind of on the show, like in the rails a bit.
I made sure everybody got on camera and playing.
Like I was thinking about all that as it was going.
Amy never got to guess.
So when it was her time, I put her up and let her guess the final one.
lunchboxes didn't get to go up
so when it was the final one
I was like lunchbox was going to do it
so I just wanted to make sure everybody
gets in and does it
we weren't playing for our own money
or it had been different
but we made some money
for St. Jude too
you know there was
we lost some money because we didn't win
but I'm also going to have to supplement
that with my own cash a little bit too
because I feel terribly guilty
terribly guilty
because we had one question away
all right go ahead another one
wait so no you never answered
who was the worst
that's not you know
there is no probably John because he was sick
He never hit the button
I don't think he ever said anything
He didn't say a word
I mean his
Tipped his cowboy hat
He didn't have a voice
He was like poor guy
He was like
I was singing
I blew up my voice last night
And I'm kind of sick
And I was like all right
We're good
You just do the deal
And he never even hit the button
So probably last night
Probably John
Just because he wasn't physically
There and ready to play
That's fair
I'll take that answer
All right go ahead
Give me another one
What was it like on set
when you guys were filming. Did you film the whole thing, or did you guys take breaks?
We filmed the whole thing because it's only a 30-minute show, so really it's like 20, 25 minutes,
which is longer than the 22 with commercials, because they cut some of Amy stuff.
But what happens is you stand there. First of all, you go out and they talk you through the rules real quick,
but we already know the rules. And they're going, eh, rule schmoles. You're not on here to play family food.
You're on here to be entertaining. Big difference. You're obviously playing family food,
but even before they were like, hey, bring you guys and just have fun. Don't be too nutty,
but also have fun and if you want to talk and do whatever you want.
And so then you walk out and you look at the buzzers hit and then you walk out and take pictures
on the thing and then they do the thing.
Here they are!
The Bobby Bones team!
We turn around, walk down and away you go.
You never meet Steve Harvey before the show and then he walks out, which to me was the
coolest thing to see Steve Harvey come out.
That's pretty cool.
And he was so cool and funny and awesome.
You're talking about quick wit.
Like he is so good at that.
He's a comedian first.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's crazy.
that's what it was. No, we were probably
on set for half an hour.
So, yeah, we didn't stop.
We just kept going to the next thing. I thought,
on that third one, I thought we won.
Because I thought you just played a 300, not 400.
Oh. I was like, we won. And they were like, oh, next round.
I know. Now they didn't have that on camera. I'd have been
like the guy who celebrates way too early.
Like, he wins the race one lap before.
He's like, yeah. What else?
Do you got another one? No, that's all. I think he answered
all my question. All right.
I listen to a podcast
This is not on my podcast network
But it's
I listen to Ricky Jervais
Do a two-hour podcast
On a podcast called Making Sense
With Sam Harris
It was good
I listened on the airplane yesterday
This guy
Apparently I've never heard of Sam Harris
I'm sure he's really good at what he does
To get Ricky Jervase
You have to be
But he also has like a meditation app
It does meditation
But if anyone's like
I love Ricky Jervase
I was thinking about doing a show
Like called
Talking with My Hewaves
to see if I could get all three of them.
Not at the same time, but do one podcast with, like, David Letterman.
Yeah.
David Letterman.
What?
Okay.
This would just be, I'm intrigued already.
David Letterman, Howard Stern, and then who would the other one be?
I was thinking either like Bob Pittman or CEO.
Yeah.
Who gambled on me big time.
Like, gambled on me more than I would have.
Or like, like Jimmy Kimmel, like how he does it.
but
but if I actually had a premise
I think I could get them
but three separate episodes
or three in the same?
No, three separate episodes
because you can't
you can't get them all together
due to scheduling
and then you don't want to do
20 minutes and then go to another one
cool
yeah I don't know
I'm really into the podcasting
goals
because you can listen to anything
everywhere I listen to that
listen to Bill Simmons.
Joe Rogan's podcast is pretty good,
although it's long.
That's a long one.
You ever listen to that one?
No.
Joe Rogan?
It's good, though.
That was the show I played when Joe Rogan's like,
I never heard of that guy when Charlemagne was on.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's funny.
All right.
Amy, anything?
We've done this video.
Hope everyone has a great day.
There you go.
Lunchbox, anything?
Yeah, check us out,
Soar Losers podcast.
Eddie Ray and myself,
we'll do another sports podcast today.
And have a great day.
anything? Yeah, thanks for listening
and watching this stream.
I'm proud of what we're doing here.
Yeah, me too. It's getting better to. The things
I would fix right now, are behind Amy, it's too black.
It's dark. It's way dark. We've got to do something
there. I'll show everyone. Maybe we'll put up a Napa logo
or something. Yeah. Or something.
Something. We're looking into some, maybe
some lighting that can make the walls turn different colors.
Because we're still in the new process. But also, we've got to get Amy
something to look at up there of me.
So you can look at it. Yes.
And I did some research on that.
We can make that happen.
Oh, yay.
Oh, I knew you could.
I knew you'd figure it out.
Thanks, nice.
I had no doubt.
That's why I brought it by government.
I knew you had figured it out.
Yeah.
Every day I have a list of like,
all right, tomorrow I'm going to figure this out.
Yeah.
So that way, Amy, look at the screen.
And Eddie, go to camera, Amy.
Boom.
That way, talk, Amy.
Oh, so wait, what did you say, Bobby?
Right.
Because I couldn't really.
So she can talk to me without turning.
But right now, it looks like you guys are looking at each other when I go back and forth because you are.
You mean right now.
If I'm looking that way?
Yes, which is why we're going to do it.
I mean, what?
Yeah, that'll work.
Okay.
I do have a Ramundo bit.
I guess we can say until tomorrow.
Ramundo and his girlfriend got into the dumbest fight ever.
He wrote that's part one of this.
Wait until you hear the genius way of ending fights.
Every couple needs to hear this trick.
You want to do that on the show tomorrow?
Yeah.
Mike D, it's good, huh?
Yeah, I think it's good.
Ramundo writes good bits.
Mm-hmm.
Oh, there is.
There he is.
is he the one of a sudden
Mm-hmm
Mm-hmm
Yeah that's him in the last year
I did think about him
Last yesterday or what the other day
I was driving
Walking through the airport
I'm like man this is a good spot
For a nooner
And I was exhausted
A nooner meaning a place to sleep
Correct yes
And I was exhausted
And I was thinking man
Like he's on to something
I'm at the airport
If there's a little layover
Or something
Hour nap
Let me tell you
Not to
Well whatever
But so American Idol
Goes hey
This is what I did
I went to Denver
And did
And thanks to everybody in Denver
I give it a solid
For us, a B
It was the first show
We had moving parts
We had changes and people
So it's like a show in four parts
We do like a musical
Then we do the guitars
Then I do stand-up
And then we do a big ending number
And so it was our first time
Actually doing the transitions
And so not all those were super clean yet
Because the tour just started
But I believe we had a good first show
And so Denver and back
And all that I have to pay for
Because we have to go and pay flights
and hotels and, but American Idol said, hey, we're bringing some of our finalists and doing
a private event in Seattle, will you come and tell jokes and do some stand-up in the middle of
some of the performing? And I was like, great. And American Idol flies me first class everywhere.
When you fly first class on Delta, there's something called the Delta Lounge that you get to go into,
and I don't fly Delta that often. I did a little bit back and forth because it has a non-stop
LA, but I went into the Delta Lounge. It's a different kind of people in there. Is that the Sky Lounge?
Is that what they call it? I think so. I went in. I've seen the doors and I was
I'm going to tell you what's back there.
Yeah, tell me.
The greatest soup.
Really?
I went in and ate this potato soup.
I don't even really like potato soup.
But I was like, you know what?
I'm going to have it all.
And I got the potato soup.
It was still warm.
And then they had some salad, like some little pasta salad.
And I was like, not in a much carbs right now, but went in Rome.
Right.
So I had some, and it was fantastic.
They have a bar that's free.
What?
Everything's free.
Everything's free.
They just ask you a tip.
It's awesome.
Yeah.
And so, I did it in Atlanta.
Didn't do it in Seattle because my flight was like four in the morning.
It was terrible.
Seattle was nice.
Went and hung out with Carla Marie.
Saw that.
From Carla Marie and Anthony's show in Seattle.
I actually texted her late.
I was like, oh man, I'm in Seattle.
I woke up that morning.
I was like, I don't know what you're doing for lunch, but I'm here if you can come to town,
come into the city and meet me.
And so she did, and we had great lunch and just talked about life and work.
and I'm a big fan of her and her and them.
I think Anthony was irritated.
I didn't text him.
I got to be honestly,
I don't know Anthony as well as I do Carla Marie.
Yeah, it's true.
Well, yeah.
Like I've...
I can see that, but yeah.
And I encourage you to check out their show
and her podcast is the side hustlers,
side hustlers podcast with Carla Marie.
But I guess I don't even have Anthony's cell phone number
and they do a show together.
And so I saw him tweet, oh, you couldn't invite me?
And I was like, oh.
Oh, shots fired.
Yeah, yeah.
The thing with her, though,
is really before we even knew her,
she was a listener of this show.
And she would always like tweet us or whatever,
just be like, oh my gosh, so funny.
That bit about Amy.
So funny.
I'm like, aren't you on another show?
I'm like, how are you listening?
And so that was cool.
That's what brought us together.
I loved that about her.
Yeah, she's cool.
She's smart too.
But I did that.
We had lunch.
And then I was in Seattle and I was like,
well, I don't really drink coffee that much.
But when in Rome.
When in Rome.
Or Seattle.
Or Seattle.
And so I got a,
this thing called an orange bliss.
Dreamsicle.
Thank you.
Well, you've had that?
Yeah.
In Seattle?
No, I've never been to Seattle.
Oh.
But I've had a dream sickle coffee thingy.
It's pretty good.
What is it?
I don't know.
You just said Dreamcicle.
I like push-ups.
Oh, yeah.
The orange push-ups, the sherberts.
So I had one.
It's fantastic.
That's it.
Yeah.
That's it.
They put me in a big fancy hotel, too.
You loved it.
Wow.
I don't know.
When I pay for hotels, we were like the Duky Inn.
No, it wasn't that bad.
No, ours is pretty nice.
It was all right.
Yeah, it was in Denver.
It was nice.
It was okay.
But when Idle pays for it, they...
They go all out?
Well, it's just a whole different level.
A level that I'm not used to really being in because it's a huge network.
And they take care of their talent.
And I'm sure that they're a talent that demand more than I do.
But they're like, hey, what do you need on your rider?
And I was like, hey, we'll just use my tour rider.
And so it's a toothbrush.
Some people have like puppies and feathers
And they want
Margarita machine
A scale that only
You know
Goes up every three
Whatever
So I was like I have a toothbrush
And I'll take
What do I have?
Shaving cream and razors
Just whatever like face stuff
Then you have like protein bars
Yeah if you have just one of my bag too
Sliced oranges now I think
Well for the for tea for our throats
We get oranges and lemons and limes
Yeah
And so but they walk in to put it in my room
And I'm already in my bed
In my underwear
because they got there early
and they walked into my room
and they're like, oh my God!
And I was like, and I didn't know
who they were either.
So we had this weird moment
like somebody just came in my room
and they were like,
we have your toothbrush
and I was like, I didn't order
a toothbrush.
And they're like, no, from your writer.
And I was like,
I have a writer for this?
And they were like, yeah,
someone sent us your writer.
And so they brought it in.
That's awesome.
Yeah, it was awesome.
The whole thing was awesome.
We'll be in Chicago in two weeks.
Woo!
We'll do this.
We'll be at the Opry.
It's Friday?
Friday night.
Yeah.
We'll be in Chicago
the next Friday night.
Then we'll be in San Antonio
Austin the next Friday night.
Yes.
And Amarillo and El Paso the next Friday.
Wait, wait.
All back to back?
Uh-huh.
Wow, I didn't realize that.
Yeah.
I try not to look too far in advance.
I get in a bad mood if I do.
Well, we don't have a show this weekend.
Yes.
Oh, that's right.
That's it.
We're playing the Opry and only one show next weekend.
Yeah.
So there you go.
Tickets at Raging Idiots.com.
And our new lyric video is up for old folks home.
Oh.
If you want to see that.
Cool.
Amy, you saw it already, didn't you?
She didn't see a little video.
It's funny.
It's an old lady.
That's all.
All right, we're done.
Everybody good?
How are they in the chat over there?
They're doing okay.
There's been a few that have been blocked.
Good.
Block them.
Putting them in time out.
Put them in time out.
Block them.
Other than that, we're doing great.
Oh, only I can see this.
Okay.
What is it?
How did you find this, Mike?
Yeah.
Search what?
Old folks home?
Raging idiots?
That's pretty funny.
All right.
We'll go. We'll go. Sometimes we spend a little too long on this now because also we're working some stuff out.
Eddie's crushing it. I enjoy it. I love the practice.
All right. Thank you guys. Have a great day. Here is Monday show.

Hey, everyone. It's Cal Penn.
I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I Heart audiobook club.
This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter,
the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary,
massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science.
And what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth?
I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections.
And it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent?
And I really thought about it.
I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story if I don't go through it.
But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me.
And I left it on the mic.
That's great.
Because it served the story.
People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end.
It's like, yeah, dude, me too.
Listen to Earsay, the Audible and I Heart Audio Book Club on the IHeart Radio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bone.
This is a Bobby Ball.
Hey, good morning.
Welcome to another week of the show.
We will talk about later on today.
our dazzling performance on the Celebrity Family Feud.
Yeah.
Break that down.
Yeah, we'll get to that.
We'll spend some time with the tape and we'll get to that.
I do have a tweet that just came in.
It's from Mad Max 2241.
He says, hey, I've heard you guys talk about this for a long time.
I was at the wedding, playing in the band, and Lunchbox totally cried.
Oh, boom.
I saw that. Yeah.
Yes.
So last week, we were talking about Lunchbox's wedding.
How long ago did you married?
Four years.
And I heard him cry.
Amy heard him cry.
Eddie?
I saw him cry.
Boom.
And now we have Max G.
Mad Max 2241 that played in the band and saw Lunchbox cry.
So I got a question.
At what point did you guys see me cry?
I heard you cry.
Okay, but at what point?
I remember the ceremony and...
That's weird because the band wasn't even at the vows, guy.
They were at a separate venue.
So how would that guy hear?
Maybe you cried there too.
Wow.
Wow.
Wow.
I didn't know you cried at the...
This guy cried in multiple places.
He cried at the ceremony and now we know the reception.
You cried twice?
Listen, guys, if you were on...
If the jury was listening to this right now,
I just punctured big holes in your theory as a defense attorney.
You guys...
Actually, no, we just got more evidence.
Yeah, that you cried at a later time.
It was an emotional day and night.
It's okay to cry at your wedding.
Right.
So now we have multiple people saying at multiple times they saw you cry.
Guilty.
I'm on the joke.
jury, he definitely cried.
I mean, because you guys are photojournalists.
You guys always have your phones out and taking pictures.
I was not taking pictures.
I was too far back and I didn't have my camera out at your wedding.
Oh, so you didn't take pictures at my wedding?
Respect.
At the ceremony?
In the church?
No, you got married at a really beautiful church.
Yes.
Okay.
I'm just saying, I mean, it's amazing how after four years you still can't come up with any evidence
except for some tweet from some guy that was at a different building.
I don't need evidence.
I don't need evidence.
We saw it.
Yeah.
It's okay.
It's like, I do.
Yeah.
I love you.
Because I remember thinking, is that Miss Piggy?
No.
Yeah.
I mean, you guys make up stories in your head and you try to portray me as this guy that cried in my wedding, but I stood up there stoic.
I may have messed up my vows a few times and had to have the guy repeat them.
Yeah, because you're crying.
No, there was no.
Kill again.
Cry.
Listen.
Stumble.
All we're saying is that there are multiple people now with recollections of you.
Yeah, we're trying to portray you as a nice guy.
God forbid. Well, you're trying to portray yourself as a like a guy that you're not.
I mean, it's okay to be emotional.
I'm okay. When I'm emotional, I admit it. But when I don't cry, I don't cry. And I didn't cry at my wedding.
I would ask Raymundo, but Raymundo showed up and he was.
Yeah, I was three sheets to the wind. We'd been drinking all morning and then we did brunch and then right into the afternoon to the wedding.
He showed up at the wedding just, but he flew down to Austin for the wedding.
Yes.
But didn't go to the wedding. It's a dangerous city. All my buddies live there from college.
Dangerous meaning for you, not in general
That's where my roots are. It was a blast. I was on 6th Street.
But I mean, you went to lunchboxes' wedding
and you showed up a little intoxicated.
Oh, absolutely. Yeah, it was a quick weekend. I had to do it fast.
I mean, his girlfriend was feeding him food at my reception.
Like, it was where he couldn't even pick up a fork.
It was pretty awesome.
Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day.
Lion King came out this weekend. Amy's kids went to see it.
It's the live action version.
And so, you know, they read it all the songs from the,
Lion King. And so we've been doing these drafts.
So we're going to draft Disney songs.
Okay? And Eddie, you'll be starting this draft today?
Oh, I love it. Thank you. I appreciate that.
So you'll get the first pick and we'll move around the room in order.
Okay.
And the song that you draft is the first pick will be yours. You get to keep it forever.
All right.
All right. With the first pick of the Disney song draft, Eddie picks.
Can you feel the love tonight, Lion King?
That's your star quarterback right there.
That's a solid first pick overall in the draft.
Thank you.
Elton John singing.
And I haven't heard the new, my son plays it around the house, but I haven't really paid attention to it.
But this is my favorite there.
I think we've missed the lyric there.
It doesn't matter.
Morgan number two with the second overall pick in the draft.
You'll be in my heart from Tarzan.
And all my songs you guys are picking before it gets to me.
You like that one?
I love that one.
You'll be in my heart.
Bill Collins, man.
Yeah.
All right.
Third overall.
raw pick.
It's tough.
Don't take mine.
Well, I'm going to go with
You Got Friend and Me
from To a story.
Randy Newman?
Yeah.
You got a friend in me.
When you're road
rough ahead and your miles and miles.
All right, Amy.
The fourth pick in the draft. What do you have?
Hakuna Matata.
Oh, did you want that one?
Yeah, yeah. That was my number one.
What a wonderful.
What a wonderful phrase.
Ain't no peasant craze.
It means no worries.
For the rest of your days.
It's our problem-free.
Philosophy.
Akuna matata.
All right, lunchbox, back over to you?
With my first pick, I'm taking a whole new world from Aladdin.
A whole new fantastic point of view.
And lunchbox gets two picks in a row?
It's a snake draft.
Go ahead, lunchbox.
Oh, man, this could have been a number one draft pick.
Circle of Life, the Lion King.
Boom.
Boy, Lion King has a bunch, huh?
Yeah, they do.
The Bear Necessity.
Oh, you know.
They did that.
Sorry, I did it.
I didn't.
Back to the drawing board.
The simple bare necessity.
I should have traded it up.
Get that pick.
That's a good one.
Well, I've got another one that I was hoping to get in the second round.
Yeah.
And I am going to get it.
It's, remember me from Coco.
You...
Oh, wow.
Oh, I loved this movie.
Do I have to say goodbye?
So good.
That reminds you with me?
No, Eddie, this movie doesn't remind me of you.
No.
I don't see race.
Little Mexican boy?
I don't see race.
No.
Morgan number two, what's your next pick?
Next one is Little Mermaid Part of Your World.
Come on!
Dude, I'm running out of them.
I danced to this on Dancing with the Stars.
That's why I was gonna pick it.
My entire list is empty.
I have one more.
I have some.
I've picked all my songs.
Eddie?
All right, this is it.
Go ahead.
Little Mermaid.
Under the sea.
Yes.
I have that.
Come on.
Under the sea.
Darling, it's better down where it's winter.
Take it from me.
Did I go on the wrong order?
No.
I hope not because that's all I have.
Eddie, you have one more though.
I'll have to go three.
Three picks.
Yeah.
I got nothing.
You better come up with something.
Are you going to miss a song?
Fine.
Fine.
Give me.
Hi-ho.
Hi-ho, we're off to work
We go. Solid pick. Snow white.
Little dwarfs. Solid pick.
Seven dwarfs.
Dang, I didn't come up with that last minute. That's tough.
Morgan number two with the last pick in the draft.
Go ahead. I'm going with Beauty and the Beast. Be our guest.
That's good. Oh, that's good. Be our guests.
Be our guests.
Be our guest. Be our guest. Put our service to the test.
Tie your napkin round your neck, sherry, and we provide the rest.
I want to go with the next one
I'm just because I know if I'm doing a Disney concert
People are going to sing this one loud
I've got to go
Let it go for Frozen
I can't believe it sat there that long
The third round
Third round pick
Frozen and let it go
That's okay like the greats come
Come off of the third round
Amy
Has anybody done a whole new world yet?
Yeah
Lunchbox
Yeah that was my first pick overall in the draft
Well shoot all of mine are gone
As a team owner you have to kind of pay attention to that Amy
Yeah I know
Sorry
Sorry
You're on the clock. You have five seconds.
A draft a song.
Oh, man, you're going to have a two-man team.
That's not very good.
Too.
Anything in.
Bimidi-Bobbidi-Boo.
Oh, good one.
Cinderella?
Clutch pick at the end.
And lunchbox, last pick.
Guys, this is a great one.
I don't know how you guys don't have it.
It's Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas.
Good one.
Solid one.
Is there a colors of the wind?
Have you ever heard the wolf cried to the moon?
I can't sing like her.
I'm pretty happy with my selection, though.
I think I got a pretty good one.
You got a friend of me, which I was really targeting at number one anyway.
And then Coco, which I could have taken in the first round, too, I was torn.
And then, you know, as a third rounder, I ended up getting the Frozen song, Let It Go.
It's a pretty solid third round deck, right?
I think your team's winning the Super Bowl.
Thank you.
The Disney Super Bowl?
On ABC, sponsored by Disney.
That's right.
Check out the pre-show on Disney Plus, the new streaming service in November.
Okay, there you go.
Bobby Bone Show.
Big Three Stories.
Let's go over to our producer, Ray, Moose.
Ramundo, what you got over there?
In Nashville, two planes hit each other on the ground.
It happened while one was backing up.
Luckily, no injuries.
Those planes have been taken out of service.
In New York, thousands of people were left without power on Sunday.
Over 50,000 across the New York borough's lost power.
Everyone should have power restored today.
And finally, a Clearwater Beach in Florida.
Eight people were injured by a lightning strike.
People were moving off the beach because of the bad weather when the lightning strike occurred.
What happened?
Yeah, so I got into Newburgh, and he had.
had candy, which, you know, a lot of times they do, which is nice. But he was really insistent
on me eating his candy. Like so weird to where I was like, no, I'm good. He's like, no, no, no,
I had the best candy. You really need to eat it and picked it up and was like trying to hand it back
to me. And I'm like, you're in the car. Yes, I'm in the Uber. And I'm like, dude, I don't,
I don't want, I don't want the candy. And he like, wouldn't let that go. So I thought that
was weird. Then I noticed, like, we haven't really taken off at this point. Like, he's pausing my ride
to force feed me this candy, you know? Like, we're sitting there stalling. And I'm
I'm like, you gotta go.
So then I notice on the app, it looked like he canceled the ride.
Like, so that things aren't being tracked?
I don't know.
But I go, oh, I think, whoopsie, like, did you just cancel the ride?
And he goes, no, we're good.
So then I go and I open my app and it says that, like, I'm not no longer on the ride.
How long had you been driving?
We're still, like, in my neighborhood, like, on my street.
Like, we're not gone.
We're not far at all.
But a few blocks away from your house.
I'm trying to think of, no, I'm probably.
like six houses down. Okay. So I still feel like, okay, like I'm in the area, but like we're
about to turn a corner that would put us on the main road. So I'm like, okay, um, I think, I think
I'm, never mind. I don't think I'm going to go anywhere anymore. Change my mind. Like, I didn't
want to draw attention to like that I'm getting out because you're freaking me out. But I acted like,
oh, plans changed. Like, I got to get out. So I just got out and I walked back to my house and
I called another car because while everything might have been fine, I felt so uncomfortable that
I just had to use my senses.
Are you Spider-Man?
Yeah.
I had to use my like gut instinct of like I should go no further with this person because
something just felt weird.
I don't know what it was.
Maybe the candy was fine.
Maybe it was the fact he was trying to force feed an adult woman candy while he canceled
the ride.
Well, that's where my sense is and my brain started telling me like I was like, oh my gosh,
the candy's laced.
trying to drug me, then he's going to drive me nowhere, and you're not going to be able to track me because he canceled the ride.
You know what I'm saying? I saved my life. Was the candy pre-packaged?
Or was it homemade? No, like mince that are twisted.
Oh, twisted me. So he could have retwisted him. Totally. Oh, good point. Yeah. Retwisted him.
Did you report him? Or I was saying, no, because I don't know for sure that this is exactly what happened. That would be really awful.
I just trusted my senses. If, you know. Do you tell your husband? Yeah. He'd track him down?
No.
We heard from the guy since?
Yeah, now he's on vacation now.
No.
You won't be hearing from him for a while.
This was the cool part too.
I ordered like the cheapest Uber, you know, possible.
He rolled up in a black infinity like SUV.
I thought you said it was the cheapest Uber.
You know, the POSOM?
It was. The Uber Possom.
Yes.
You know, you order the whatever the cheaper one is.
But it's like maybe he, it's almost like I ordered a black car, but I didn't.
And I was like, well, this is nice.
So I was super excited about my ride.
And then I had to get out.
Black and,
That's what he drives. Just be warned.
His license plate number, did you get it?
I don't know.
You didn't save it on your screen?
Maybe it still is in my screen.
I'll go see.
Well, we're glad you're okay.
Mm-hmm.
Should I report him?
How awful would I feel if, like, he was like,
if something happens and he's like, oh, yeah.
Oh, I was thinking if I, if I, he's not bad.
And like, I report him and he's like, I just like to give people candy.
And I didn't know I canceled or right.
Like lunchbox's crossing guard that when he came home and was like,
this one was passing out drugs.
And it turns out she was handing.
I thought she was. I accused her.
So I went undercover.
I had seen her hand things months, months for months.
That's right. It was you who brought us to bit and lunchbox went and tracked it down.
I thought she was passing out drugs or something to people and there was deals going down in our neighborhood.
So lunchbox went to see if he could get some and he got it.
But it was candy.
I mean, you know.
You should always get out.
Listen, if you don't feel comfortable, you should always remove yourself from the situation.
That was my lesson.
In general, to everybody listening.
If you're not comfortable in a scenario, get out of.
the scenario. The end. Right or wrong,
remove yourself. Valuable
lesson. Also, why is he doing that?
I don't know. Stop forcing people candy. Just let him get in the car.
Don't cancel my red.
That's weird too, though. That's why you should email.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan No. 2. 30 second skinny.
Garth Brooks brought out Blake Shelton
to his show in Idaho. They sing
their song together, dive bar. Here's a clip.
Thomas Wrett brought up the fan
on stage who had a sign that red
beat cancer, check. Thomas Red
concert check. And then her last request was to get a selfie with Thomas. So of course, Thomas
brought her up on stage to get a photo together and he shared the sweet moment on his Instagram.
Casey Musgraves extended her, oh, what a world tour. She added 28 new dates in California,
Texas, North Carolina, and more. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny.
It's time for the good news. With lunchbox.
Tell me something good. A few years ago, Philip, who owns a pawn shop in Connecticut,
It was cleaning out inventory and he had some motorized wheelchairs that hadn't sold.
So he just put an ad up and said, hey, we got three motorized wheelchairs.
Does anybody need any?
He got to get 60 responses.
He was like, man, I got to do something.
So now over the years, he's been collecting broken ones.
He fixes them and gives them away and he's giving away $580.
And he tries to give away 100 a year.
Oh, wow.
Wow, wow.
What a cool thing where you can take your skill set and actually help people with it.
That's awesome.
That's what it's all about right there.

Hey, everyone. It's Cal Penn. I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I Heart Audio Book Club. This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook Project Hail Mary. Massive sci-fi adventure about survival and science. And what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth?
I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat and starting to get teary.
as I'm narrating some of these sections
and it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent?
And I really thought about it. I was like, no, at this point,
it would kind of be betraying the trust
the author and the listener have in telling this story
if I don't go through it.
But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me
and I left it on the mic.
That's great.
Because it served the story.
People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end.
It's like, yeah, dude, me too.

Bobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
Story of the day.
This story comes to us from Midland, Texas.
A man had a warrant out for his arrest, so police put a post on Facebook.
Said, hey, if you've seen this guy, please tell him to contact police. He's wanted.
So he commented on the own post. He said, oh, wow.
He said, ha, ha, you fools, I'm on an island, sipping mahitos. You ain't going to find me.
I'll call you when I get back to town.
and so that made detectives a little angry.
They tracked him down to a house about 30 miles away.
He wasn't on the island.
He wasn't a island. He wasn't sipping mojitos.
And they said when they opened the door, his eyes were like, oh my gosh, how'd you find me?
Wow.
That's funny.
I don't even know that I know how to spell mojito.
M-O-J-I-T-O-Mohito.
Nailed it.
Thank you.
But I would be curious if I spelled that right.
That was it in the ram.
All right, there you go.
On Lunchbox, that's your Bonehead Story of the day.
Folks, it's your buddy and my...
Mr. Bobby bones.
Let me.
All right, time now for Amy versus Lunchbox.
It's a trivia game where we ask Amy the dude questions.
And lunchbox, the dudette questions.
The score is 6 to 5.
Amy's in the lead as we play to 10.
Okay.
Amy, are you ready?
Ready.
Question number one.
For this barbell weightlifting move,
it is common to have one hand facing out,
the other hand facing in.
Let's get again.
For this barbell weightlifting move,
lifting move.
It's common to have one hand facing out, the other facing in.
Amy's now reenacting some odd movement.
It's more like the soldier boy to me that she's doing.
I mean, I'm trying to picture like, what would you, it can't be anything where you like
turn the bar and lift up because that would be awkward.
So I'm going to go with dead lifts.
She says deadlift.
The answer is deadlift.
Woo!
Yes.
Hey.
Good job, Amy.
Thank you.
Just had to process of elimination there, you know.
What's the name of the chemical that cools the air in your air conditioner?
Let me ask again.
What's the name of the chemical that cools the air in your air conditioner?
Anti-freeze?
I'm sorry, that's incorrect.
Cool it.
Lunchbox you can steal?
Free on.
Show me, Freon.
There it is.
Close.
Enough.
What's anti-freeze to do?
It keeps it from freeing.
Maybe they're free on an antifreeze.
Okay.
I don't know.
Is antifreeze that brand?
I don't know.
That's what I think.
Okay.
What do I know?
Amy, ready?
Ready.
NFL training camps open this week.
Oh, yeah.
Receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
will be reporting to a new team's camp.
Hmm.
Which team is Odell Beckham Jr. playing for?
Okay.
Odell Beckham Jr.
Headed to the Bengals.
Oh, you were close.
What is it?
Oh, no.
Lunchbox, go ahead.
It's the Brown.
Right down the road from each other.
Your neighbors.
You got one out of three.
Lunchbox got two points.
All right, lunchbox's over to you.
Here we go.
You got three questions
that when I search questions for ladies,
this is what comes up.
Question number one, lunchbox.
The Chinese art of arranging objects
for harmonic flow is called what?
The Chinese art of arranging objects
for harmonic flow is called what?
Feng Shui.
That's how you say it.
Mike D?
That's how you say it.
I was like, whoa.
All I'm doing is asking him.
You don't have to yell at me.
I'm just asking him what the answer is.
I was looking at Mike D to let him know I said it right.
We're just making sure use the first word right.
What hairstyle is short with hair around the jaw level,
often with a fringe at the front.
What hairstyle is short with hair around the jaw level,
often with fringe at the front.
Oh, it's the bob.
All right, show me the bob.
Yeah.
Nailed it.
And what side?
is a Grande at Starbucks.
Grande at Starbucks?
Let me think.
Raging idiots have a song.
A grande is a tall,
a tall is a small, a grande.
So it has to be large.
Oh, I'm sorry.
Ami, you can still.
Grande is medium.
Medium is the answer.
Yes.
But I'm sorry, you didn't win.
Lunchbox wins today with a score of four to two,
and now Lunchbox has tied up the overall series
at 6 to 6.
I want to go over and talk to Carrie
in California. Carrie, you're on the Bobby Bone show. How are you?
Hey, Bobby. How are you? Really good. Thanks for calling. What do you want to say?
Hey, I just wanted to thank you for converting my husband. He used to say you are really annoying
and why do you listen to him all the time and why are you watching him on Dance with the Stars? He sucks.
And I was like, I love him. He's great. I just love your personality and you really make my day.
And all of a sudden, he is converted.
He is listening to you now, and I can get in a car with him and listen to your station.
We had him about fighting you to change it back over to Classic Rock or Sports Talk.
So, like, Serious Radio, he'd always go to Palm Country or 80s on 8.
And so we would be pushing it back and forth, and I'm like, can I please listen to my Bobby show?
Well, thank you very much.
Why, I guess, why did he think I was so annoying?
I don't know.
Maybe because I like listening to.
I'm jealous.
I annoyed him because I'm like, we've got to watch Dancing with Stars.
We've got to watch, oh, gosh, I can't think of the other show right now.
American Idol.
American Idol.
That's it.
Thank you.
Also, this is my annual call.
This is the only time I get up this early in California.
And it's fair week.
There she is.
My daughter's in FSA.
So shout out to FSA.
Well, Carrie, thank you for calling and appreciate you being a part of the show here.
All right, let's do today in country music now.
The Bobby Pond Show.
On this day in country music.
All right, on this day in 1995, 24 years ago, Shania Twain's Eni Man of Mine,
reaches number one on the country chart, becoming her first number one song.
And here it is.
She wrote this with her then-husband and producer, Mutt Lang.
They got married in 1993, and then they started working together.
And here you go.
This is what comes up.
Maybe I should marry somebody who does funny stuff.
I could be funnier.
Good idea.
Wow.
So the woman in me, the record, I went to sell more than 20 million copies.
And so, their next record, still 40 million.
And, you know, now she's the thing.
You know what I mean?
Now it's the thing.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So Pampers is launching a new line of smart diapers this fall,
and it'll monitor your baby's sleep, which is pretty cool.
But it'll also be able to track when your baby pees,
and it'll immediately, you'll get a notification on the app on your phone,
and you'll know, like, hey, I need to go change my baby's diaper.
Because sometimes you don't know if the diaper's really wet.
Some diapers have, like, a blue strip that'll indicate, like, if the color has changed,
that means there's pee in there.
But now you'll know on the app.
And if your baby's upset or crying, you're like, ah, makes sense.
Got to go just change the diaper, and we'll be good to go.
Interesting.
That will they put electronic stuff in a diaper?
I wouldn't want that near my...
Listen, I don't know exactly how.
I did wonder about that.
And I was like, I guess I don't want to know.
I mean, soon people are going to be chipping babies and all kinds of things anyways.
It doesn't detect poop, just pee.
So if you're worried about that.
But I mean, that's not an issue that parents have determining if it happened or not.
But pee sometimes.
And then sleep patterns would be good to know.
Like, when is my baby sleeping?
Right?
I was talking about chips.
This is the airport this weekend.
And for the first time I thought, I should have like a chip in my finger.
Why?
Well, because I was having to get my wallet out of my backpack.
Yeah.
And I was going through long lines.
and it would just been easier.
So I'm now on the chip me.
I've now decided I would just want to be microchipped.
Yeah.
The government knows everything anyway.
And I would like my underwear to be chipped so I can know if I peed.
Exactly.
We just do it all.
All right, what else am I?
So, oh man, just a heads up if your kids have like little John Deer tractors or cars that can
actually drive places sort of far away.
Keep an eye on them because.
Real ones.
Not the toys, but like the ones you get in and right around.
The toy ones that kids can get in, but it can like take them places faster than they would,
like on foot or crawling or whatever.
So this two and a half year old got on his John Deere tractor that he plays with.
And he saw this county fair going up near his house with rides and all the things.
So he decided he wanted to go to that party.
So he took his John Deere tractor and went there.
And then parents realized that their son was missing.
And I mean, all this didn't take long, but he still made it all the way to the fair.
And once the message went out, like we're missing our son, like it was close enough to the house
to where the police ended up finding him within like,
three minutes of getting the call, but I just thought it was funny that this little kid took his
John Deere tractor to the fair. But it's something you have to be aware of, I think, if you've got
a kid. And now you're going to watch them. Like, my dog now runs away. He's not getting big enough
to run away. Yeah, I mean, the dad suspended his son's driving. Like, he can't take out the John Deere Tractor
anymore. He got suspended license. Yes. It's like four. All right, what else? He's two and a half.
You imagine a little two and a half year old. I mean, the parents probably freaking out and he's like,
I'm good. I'm just at the fair. So you gov.com.
put out its list of the most admired men and women.
Did you see this?
Let me guess.
It's the world's most admired men and women.
Men first.
It has to be something.
Don't I know hints?
I'm pretty good at this.
Okay.
It has to be someone like I would lean, first of all, towards Zuckerberg,
but so many people don't like Zuckerberg because of Facebook's privacy concerns.
It has to be somebody who's changing our world technologically.
So I'm going to blanket it.
It's like somebody in Silicon Valley, like computers.
Who is it?
Okay.
Well, at number one, Bill Gates.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
All right.
And who's number, do you have the rest of them?
Number two is Barack Obama, and number three is Jackie Chan.
Probably for a super international appeal.
The guy's humongous everywhere.
All right, and then on the females, count me down three to one.
At number three, Beyonce.
Oh, people love her.
Angelina Jolie.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah.
Maybe for humanitarian work.
That's what I was thinking.
All right, number two.
Oprah.
Okay.
Obviously.
And then number one, Michelle Obama.
There you go.
Yeah, so those are the top ones.
And then others, just honorable mentions that are on the list.
It doesn't matter where they fall.
But Taylor Swift, Madonna.
Did the Rock make it?
He did.
Ah, good.
How about Joe Rogan?
He makes those lists sometimes.
I don't see him, but Clint Eastwood is also on the men.
And Madonna?
Did I say her?
Yeah.
That's how you say it.
Yeah, Madonna.
That's how you say it.
But I guess I'm still a little shocked.
I don't know.
I don't get it.
And then, oh, oh.
Dick Jonas's wife.
Who?
Dick Jonas?
All right.
Nick.
Nick Jonas's wife.
She's beautiful, but I don't want to mess up her name.
Paranka Chopra.
Just don't try.
That's why I just said Nick Jonas's wife.
That's not what you said.
And I know her from, she was on an awesome show that now I can't think of the name.
Okay.
I'm Amy.
That's my pile.
All right.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
Shit.
Bobby Buncho.
Let me go talk to Taylor in North Carolina.
Taylor, good morning.
Welcome to the Bobby Bone Show.
Hey, how are you guys this morning?
We're pretty good.
What's up with you?
Not too much.
Just on my way to work.
Just drop my daughter off.
I just wanted to let you guys know, we listen every morning.
My daughter thinks you all are hilarious.
But Bobby, to you, is someone who struggles with anxiety.
I just want you to know that I'm really inspired by listening to how you talk about your struggles every day.
And I know, like, thousands of people hear you, like, every day.
And it's just, like, it's nice to know that essentially you're just another normal person going through what we all go through.
And it's just really great to hear how you deal with day-to-day life.
It's really inspired me to try to be better.
Well, thank you very much.
Taylor, I appreciate you calling and sharing that.
And, man, makes me feel good that I'm just not talking to a wall, that someone will listen to what I'm saying.
No, absolutely not.
Me and my sister love you.
We love you on American Idol.
and it was really cool because she got to follow someone she knew.
She knows Walker's parents because she works like for them at their church camp.
So it was really cool for her to be able to follow someone.
We both followed you and it was a really great time.
Thank you very much.
Well, hope you have a good day.
Thank you too.
All right.
There she is Taylor in North Carolina.
Walker Burroughs, by the way, on tour with me right now.
Yeah.
He plays with Eddie and I.
We played in Denver this past weekend.
And now we hope the people thought that was fun.
We had a good time.
We had a blast.
Reviews were good.
Were they?
Yeah, good.
I always don't expect them to be.
I felt like we did a good show, but then I'm like...
Where do you see reviews?
Twitter, Instagram.
Oh, okay.
I thought you were talking about Yelp or something.
The Denver cadet?
Is that a paper?
I don't know.
The cadet?
If not, that should be.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
A former Navy seal was out for a morning run in Virginia Beach when he spotted an American flag
that had come unattached from the pole.
His name is Dom.
He says he tried for.
four times to climb the pole
before finally climbing all the way up
the random flag pole and securing it
to the pole at the Navy Sill Monument.
He shared a video of the Good Deal
on Facebook writing that the monument
and the flag represented all the sacrifices
he and his fellow veterans and current
service members made serve in the country.
And he said, I couldn't go buy this flag
this morning and not give it everything
I had. Oh, wow. That's pretty awesome.
Yeah. Shout out. Dom
RASAO. Yeah, that's a good one right there.
Let me go over to Michael in Arkansas, by the way.
Michael and Arkansas sitting over here ready to talk.
Hey, Michael, what's up, bud?
Hey, how's it going, Bobby?
Pretty good.
So you were in the Marines?
Oh, yes, yes, I was.
Man, appreciate that.
We're just kind of talking about the service and how much we appreciate it.
And what would you like to say?
Dude, I listened to y'all so much while I was in the Marine Corps.
Y'all's show, like, helped out so much, especially whenever I got out.
It was kind of depressing getting out.
I feel like a lot of people that get out get a little depressed because it's a big difference in being in the military and just being in the real world.
But y'all help me out so much.
And you definitely inspired me to do a lot more than what I thought I'd do whenever I got out.
And I just want to say I really appreciate everything.
Oh, man.
I appreciate that call.
Thanks a lot.
And really, come on, we appreciate you for what you do and what you've done.
and, man, love that call.
Hey, thanks a lot.
Appreciate that, Michael.
All right, see you, man.
All right, bud.
That's a good call.
I just called him to say that.
How kind is that?
All of that is what Tell Me Something Good is all about.
Boom.
That was Tell Me Something Good.

And what happens when you wake up alone very far from Earth?
I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog in my throat
and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections.
And it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent?
And I really thought about it.
I was like, no, at this point, it would kind of be betraying the trust the author and the listener have
in telling this story if I don't go through it.
But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally,
affected me, and I left it on the mic.
That's great.
Because it served the story.
People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end.
It's like, yeah, dude, me too.

Morgan No. 2 is 32nd Skinny.
Garth Brooks brought out Blake Shelton to his show in Idaho.
They sing their song together, Dive Bar.
How about that? You're at a show, and first of all, it's one of these Garthbrook's small shows in a bar, and you're like, holy crap.
I get to see Garth, A. I'm in a small bar. I get to see Garth. And then he brings out Blake Shelton, and you're in Idaho.
It's amazing. Like, how awesome for those people. Yeah, that's cool. What else, Morgan number two?
So Thomas Rett brought up a fan on stage after he saw her sign. It read, beat cancer, check. Thomas Rett concert, check.
And then her last request was to get a selfie with Thomas. So he brought her up on stage. I took a selfie to get a selfie to get.
and then he shared a video on his Instagram.
Oh, good for him.
By the way, Thomas Rett's coming to my house tonight to do an episode of the Bobbycast.
It should be up tonight.
We usually, we don't edit them.
We just post them.
So Thomas Rett, search Bobbycast, subscribe,
and that'll pop up on your feet as soon as we finish it.
All right, Morgan number two, what else?
And then in honor of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing,
Brad Paisley shared a video of him performing American flag on the moon at NASA.
Oh, that's cool.
I'm Morgan number two.
That's your skinning.
Folks, it's your buddy and my Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let me.
Amy just gave me a dirty look before we went on the air.
Not that dirty.
A little bit dirty.
I told Morgan number two if she wanted to bring up inside of her segment coming up
where she does our lives, she can say we lost family feud.
And then right before we went on the air, I said...
Because we suck.
Because we suck.
And Amy just darks at me with her eyes.
Yeah.
So we'll talk about that, though.
Let's go over to Amy now with the joke.
Are you ready over there?
Ready.
Here we go.
The morning corny.
What kind of tea to hockey players drink?
What kind of tea do hockey players drink?
Penalty.
Oh, that's pretty funny. Penalty.
Yeah, yeah, good.
That was the morning corny.
You know, my dog has a penalty box.
Yes.
On my aunt's story, sometimes I'll show them in the penalty box, much like hockey players,
if they fight or get in trouble, they go to the penalty box for a couple minutes.
my dog gets put in the penalty box.
He's a puppy.
Now he's 11 weeks old, and he has a trouble with chewing.
And so if he chews on me or anything else, you're in the penalty box.
And so I put him in for two minutes.
He's getting better, though.
He doesn't like the penalty box, which is different from his crate, by the way,
because this crate is supposed to be where he goes to sleep.
To sleep and just have him time.
Penalty box is not for him.
And so he gets and looks out the bars and he's like, let me out of here.
But that's where I put him.
But he's doing better.
Doggy jail.
Yeah.
And I'm not going to have to take them to train them for three weeks and ship them away.
Oh.
I found a place I can do it for one week.
That was just always a little weird to me, but I thought, you know what?
I wish I would have trained my other dog better earlier.
I trained great later.
But I got a one week.
And at the end of August, early part of September, like we get two weeks of vacation in the summer.
So we're going to take our second week of vacation.
And I'm just going to do it while I'm gone because I'd have to have somebody watch them anyway.
Yeah, it's a win-win.
It's like, so you go from three weeks to one week?
Is it like intensive?
I don't, I don't ask questions.
I just send them away.
Okay.
Yeah, I think they train them like three times a day.
Ooh, I'm so curious.
Yeah, me too.
The dog needs more help.
Send some of you guys out there and get this done.
Come back in a week.
That's right.
Morgan number two does a version of the 90-second skinny, but about the show.
Now, we have a listener that suggested this segment.
We've done it for a few weeks.
I liked a bit.
It's pretty good.
Let's see how it goes.
Morgan number two, you ready over there?
I'm ready.
Okay, here we go.
Hit it again, Raymondo.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan number two's 30-second skinny.
Bobby had his raging idiots show in Denver this weekend,
and Blanco Brown showed up as a surprise guest.
He also did some comedy in Seattle
and started watching comedians and cars getting coffee.
That's true.
Let me say a couple things.
One, Eddie and I did Denver together, not just me.
Correct.
It's the Raging Idiot's Morgan number two.
Don't forget the main guy over there.
Are you going to correct her?
Blanco?
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
And Blanco Brown came out and did this song right here.
I want to do that too.
So yeah, I kind of surprised the crowd at the end.
He got up and did the dance.
And yeah, then I went to Seattle.
And let me tell you, that flight back from Seattle and had to go Seattle to Atlanta,
that's an awful flight.
He has five hours.
Everything on me was asleep.
My feet, my elbows.
Yeah.
But I did take the aisle seat.
Because I knew I'd have to pee a lot, get a drink a bunch of water.
What else, Morgan, number two?
Amy ate a lot of things this weekend that she normally does.
doesn't. She had pizza, so she had some gluten and dairy, and she also ate some sausage.
So all the food splurges.
There you go. I like that one. That's funny. What else Morgan number two?
Lunchbox went to his cousin's Bachelor party, and he was the oldest one there, and he also played
spike ball for the very first time. We got a spike ball set up. Why, it's a fun game, huh?
Oh, my gosh. It is so awesome. We've played it where we played just on the cement, but this was
on the grass where you're diving and going all out, and it is the most entertaining game, and you'll only need four
people so much fun. Sam Hunt gave us a spike ball or did we play his, Eddie, on tour? Yes, we did.
We played it by his bus and they sent us one. Yeah, that's a fun game. And you were the
oldest there, huh? By seven years. Did you feel like the old man? A little bit of me throughout
the weekend started realizing, man, I feel like the weird old guy that's tagging along at a
bachelor party with the young guys. Because I mean, I'm the only one, I got gray in my beer and
they're all just young and it was a little bit awkward. Morgan number two, anything else? Yeah, so Eddie on
the way to the raging idiot show. He took
a tuna sandwich onto the plane and
people were changing seats next to him.
Yeah, yeah, I did. I did. I didn't realize it was a tuna sandwich
until I started eating it and then, I mean, there was someone
sitting next to me. I thought it was a chicken salad sandwich.
Oh, even that's too much for a plane. No, it's not like tuna.
But chicken and tuna different. But again, egg too. There are
about three things you don't take on a plane.
Egg, chicken salad and tuna. And guys, people
were like getting up and moving.
South plus flight? Yeah.
Yeah, that stinks. All right. Morgan,
Literally.
And then lastly, the show's Celebrity Family Feud aired last night.
Yes.
And, well, you guys lost.
We did.
We got to the very last question.
Good times, though.
Good times.
If we'd have got the last question right, we'd have won.
We were there.
We were in the mix.
But we did lose.
We'll get to that coming up.
I got clips.
I got clips.
Okay, Morgan number two.
Is that it?
Yep.
I'm Morgan number two.
That's the show Skinny.
Thank you.
Last night, we went on Celebrity Family Feud.
So crazy for a lot of reasons because, one, I've been watching
family through my whole life. And I never thought I'd get to go on that show. Two, that they thought
I was a celebrity and they gave me my own team, which was, again, insane. And so, when do we
tape that show? February. It was that long ago. Yeah. Woo-hoo. And so it was me, Amy. Here, I'll just
play this. This is me intro on the team. How you being though, man? I'm good, I'm good, you know,
trying to mentor the next generation of singers and trying to dance and trying to tell jokes. And I got all
my friends and the country music family here with me today.
Well good, man.
Let's meet everybody.
This is my best friend and co-host, Amy Brown, country superstar Lauren Elena,
country superstar John Party, and my co-host Lunchbox.
And the crowd was like, who?
This is a celebrity.
At least Andy Rodick and Brooklyn Decker were famous.
Right.
You know?
And again, the family few people were so kind.
They said, hey, bring your team, bring whoever you want.
And then who do you want to play?
And I was like, well, Andy and Brooklyn.
look like my best friends, and they graciously said,
we'll fly it to L.A. and play you. So the whole thing
just worked out pretty awesomely.
And we go on, and I got to tell you,
this first question, I go up and you do your hand, and
he asked a question. The question was so
long, I started looking at the card.
I didn't even really hear it. I gave the stupidest answer,
and they still gave me credit for it, but I didn't deserve credit for it.
I didn't even really hear the question.
They should have just exed me out.
But they did give me one of the things.
Here we go. What might a jealous
stripper do to the poll
when the hot new girl comes out.
Eat it.
And that was like the number four answer.
I didn't deserve to get dinged.
I also didn't really know what the question said.
And, too, that's not family friendly?
No.
I mean, are you kidding?
I was watching with my kids and I was like,
oh, and I had some other, like, friends of mine
that have young kids.
They were all gathered around the TV.
And, like, she was like, this is really,
this is not cool.
This is not cool.
Now my kids are right here.
Like, some of my friends were not happy.
Family Feet.
Exactly.
I was like, well, that show, though, does.
If you watch it, they do lead you to say nutty things.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I think that was the number four answer.
And then Andy gets the number one answer, which I think was like, I don't know.
I don't remember.
Grease it.
Grease it, there we go.
And then we come back and they, we get a chance to steal it here.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
All right, guys, what might a jealous tripper do to the pole when the hot new girl comes out?
We're going to say, put some glue on it.
Put some glue on it.
That was so exciting.
It was so exciting.
It's so fun to get it like to steal it back.
And so then Amy goes up.
Yeah.
And she puts her hand on the table and Brooklyn Decker puts her hand on the table.
And I think, did Brooklyn go first?
Okay, here we go.
Amy gets the changes.
Yeah.
You guys were talking.
You were still looking at me with those eyes.
What'd you want me to do?
What do you want me to go?
Amy?
Yeah.
So even Brooklyn's coming to your defense.
Yeah, yeah, because it was so weird how it happened.
Like, Steve was, like, I don't even know.
I was so confused.
Like, I thought, yeah.
Like, if she guesses and then it's, you know, then it's my turn, he turns to me.
He says, okay, Amy, what's your answer to see if I can beat where she was?
Well.
Which I would have.
I had the number one answer.
And usually, the person would go sit down right there, but Amy continues the fight with Steve Harvey last night.
Here we go.
Okay.
Okay.
This is you, right?
Yeah, because I'm confused.
Can I go now?
No?
Crowds heckling Amy.
They're like, no.
I'm Steve.
She has to go back?
Where?
From whence you come?
All right, Tessa.
So then he goes, but they cut out the part where Amy Whispers and Steve's here.
You're going to make this right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we're totally cut it out.
But when we're walking, I guess Brooklyn's walking back to her place.
I'm supposed to be walking back to mine.
I grab Steve and I give him a hug, but only to be like,
you better make this right, Steve.
Like I, and I wasn't sweet about it either
Because I was like, is he for real right now?
You better correct this.
And he didn't, he didn't correct it.
But it was funny.
I thought you were the highlight.
You made me laugh.
I was watching it.
And then so we lost that category.
We lost the whole thing, right?
That one.
I think they got all of them.
And so then we go over and Lauren Elena goes up
and neither one of them get it.
And so they, we never got the category.
And then John Party, who was sick, by the way.
And that's why I didn't talk much last night.
he was so sick when he showed up and he was like i'm doing my best he had lost his voice um and so
john didn't answer and so but we kept stealing so they would get the category they got two and
we stole two from them and it comes or we stole one from them but it came down to the final question
and the question was named something that starts with b above the waist is that right yeah
okay and so they miss it comes back to us and i wanted to get everybody in the game so i'll let amy
answer the second one yeah about being in prison and the hole yes
And then I let Lunchbox come up because he hadn't been in the game
and Lunchbox answered this one here.
Lunchbox, name something that starts
with the letter B worn above the waist.
It's called a baseball hat.
This is for the win.
No, no, no, no.
Base!
Be lost. Why are you yelling no in that club?
Do you know why I'm yelling no, no, no, no?
Okay, you had told me like the, whatever, round before,
you said, you whispered to me.
You were like, keep an eye on those people on the.
the front row, they give away if they give away to Steve. Like you can see in their eyes.
They do some hand motion that makes you realize that you got it wrong or right. And I could tell
by these people on the front row that we got it wrong. But I didn't know. I forget that.
I'm saying no, no, no, before we even know, because I read their, I read their minds.
Yeah, I was, even when I went up on the first time, I was trying to read Steve's card.
Yeah. Oh, that's why you didn't hear the question. I know. That's part of it. Yeah.
Because he kept leaning it toward me as he was talking.
And I was like, oh, I can look at his card and get ahead of it.
Yeah.
But it was so long.
I couldn't read the whole thing.
It was, listen.
No, no, no.
Amy's yelling, no, no, no.
The answer was blouse.
Yeah.
Which our thing was, man, that's kind of an older person thing, right?
Right.
Like, who called, I mean, I guess.
I know what a blouse is and I have blouses.
But gosh, and even so many my friends were texting me last night that the only thing they had left in their head was a baseball hat.
I didn't hate the answer.
Our answer?
No.
It was great.
We did not win.
We still got some money to donate to St. Jude, which is what you play for on that if you go on celebrity.
Yeah.
Which was fantastic.
I got a lot of, hey, where was Eddie last night?
Eddie?
I was at home.
No, no.
Oh, I weren't you on the team.
So we'll make some switches next time if we go back.
They did invite us back.
Yeah.
Can't wait.
You know why?
Probably because I was like, Steve.
Make it right.
You better make this right.
Because haven't they never?
I'm not saying that's why, but they've never invited anybody back.
Not a losing team.
Okay.
But they reached out last night.
Oh, not a loser.
I don't even know if winners have come back.
But,
um,
I will,
Eddie,
I will try to get you in next game.
Yeah,
we'll try.
Yeah,
I don't know if we're going to be able to go back.
Oh,
okay.
Oh, yeah,
timing.
We'll make schedule.
We'll make time.
Yeah,
we can switch things around.
Um,
thank you all for watching and tweeting
and being a part of it.
It was a real fun time.
I wasn't very happy we lost.
Uh-uh.
I didn't know what,
what moments.
I mean,
maybe because I was standing next to you,
I knew all the vibes that were like, because Bobby hates to lose.
I don't care if it's like a game here or a game on national TV family feud.
Like, you just do not like losing.
And I was having to stand next to you and I was like, well, this is just so brutal because I could feel it off of you.
You're just competitive.
But I will say, it didn't really show up on TV.
I was worried about that.
I was like, ooh, this is another side.
One, I was going to see.
I was embarrassed that we lost.
I was like, oh, I cannot believe we're going to go on.
We're going to be the biggest losers.
Yeah.
I was embarrassed.
I was really.
embarrassed. I just don't like losing.
Unhealthily. And so
we actually came off pretty fun.
My thing is, I did get so competitive
and there were times where I was like, oh, just like
stewing, just in it.
Yeah. Where I think they probably cut it
because I'm like their guy, and they probably
didn't want me looking super competitive.
I swear to you, I was worried about that for you
because I was like, I don't want people to misunderstand
you because I got it because I've known you for so long
and so I understood and I knew we just needed to let it pass.
Like we all went to dinner that night. You didn't come.
Did I not?
You didn't go?
No.
I guess not.
No.
No.
Did I work?
No.
No.
You didn't feel good?
Well, you had to one.
I think you would have come to dinner.
But we lost and I think you were just processing.
I think I was embarrassed that we played so bad and I, and I'm not, and I'm not famous.
And I was like, man, they really gave us a shot to go on celebrity family food.
They gave me my own team.
Let me pick whoever I want and then I didn't show up and perform well.
I think that's what it was.
I think I felt like an idiot to them, to the network.
Yeah.
I don't even like thinking about it now.
But it's fine.
It was fun.
It was so fun.
It was fun.
Like big time moment in our life.
Yes.
It was fun looking back.
Yeah.
So cool.
All right.
We good?
Yeah.
It's funny.
You don't remember?
He's like, why didn't I go to dinner?
I don't remember.
I'm like, you don't remember?
I just remember being like, okay, well, if you change your mind, this is where we're
going to be.
Oh, but you guys went to like the vegan place too.
But that's not why you're going to.
But if it had been like a chilly place out of private cake.
No, it was, you were processing.
But we like, you were processing.
but we let you be and now I'm glad it aired and you came off great.
You are great, but I mean, it's just you're, you are competitive.
And we felt bad because we felt like we let you down, but it's fine.
Well, it was great, actually.
So fun.
It was so, I even had fun watching it last night.
Good.
So, yeah, it was good.
I just, I don't do well of losing.

Hey, everyone.
It's Cal Penn.
I'm the host of Earsay, the Audible and I Heart Audio Book Club.
This week on the podcast, I am sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator,
of Andy Weir's
audiobook Project Hail Mary
massive sci-fi adventure
about survival and science
and what happens when you wake up
alone very far from Earth?
I really had to make a decision
because I caught myself
getting that frog in my throat
and starting to get teary
as I'm narrating some of these sections
and it's like, okay, yo, yeah, yo, is this indulgent?
And I really thought about it. I was like, no,
at this point it would kind of be betraying
the trust the author and the listener have
in telling this story if I don't go through it.
But there's places in this book that deeply emotionally affected me,
and I left it on the mic.
That's great.
Because it served the story.
People will say like, oh my God, I cried at the end.
It's like, yeah, dude, me too.

Time for Monday morning confessions where you just,
Get it off your chest.
Casey in Georgia, you're on the Bobby Bone show.
What's up, Casey?
Good morning.
Good morning.
What do you want to confess?
Okay, so I have a confession.
I steal from your show and I use them to classroom.
Now, what do you steal from our show?
Okay, so every Friday, we do a Friday morning dance party, and my students love it.
I'm a self-contained special education teacher, and they love, love, love.
I can't always use, like, you're a Friday morning dance party,
but like we pick our own songs and we use a Friday morning dance party and I also use judge common sense when they're having disagreements and I'll turn on the court music and I'll say all right let's do judge common sense and they know exactly what that means that's funny I'll tell you what you no longer have to steal I give those to you.
They're mine.
They're now yours.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, there you go.
So you don't have to feel guilty anymore.
Thank you for calling.
I hope you feel better and you are now cleansed of your sins.
Ali.
Oh, okay.
Oh, there she's still there.
Allie and Virginia, how are you?
How are you?
Hey, good.
What do you want to say?
Okay, so I have been so good on my diet lately.
I've lost over 80 pounds in the last six months.
Yesterday was National Ice Cream Day, and I kind of slipped up.
Oh, you cheated on your diet.
I did.
Let me say this.
But, you know, I just got out the gym, so hopefully I just worked it all out.
Can't do that.
That's not two things.
She just brings up a good point.
A lot of people will go, you know what, I worked hard, I deserve it.
You're actually, when you eat the ice cream,
doing worse things than for your worst than what you just worked out.
Because it's not just the sugar or it's also like your hormones it's messing with.
It's balancing all over the place.
Most people also go, hey, I will, I deserve it.
I just worked hard.
And then you're wiping away all that work you just did.
I know.
That's why I feel so guilty.
I know.
And she said something else that I was going to bring up.
She cheated.
Oh, no.
It was the National Ice Cream Day.
If you follow all these days, you're going to be 700 pounds.
Every day is something like pretzel day.
Ice cream day.
And hey, to break it to you, the month of July is National Ice Cream Month.
Okay.
So technically, we're out of control right now.
You could have ice cream every day of the month.
Allie, you do you though.
As long as it's like once a week, who cares?
Yeah.
You know?
Thank you for the call.
Appreciate that, Allie.
Of course.
Bye, bye.
Let's go to Laura in Oklahoma.
Laura, confess.
Hey, I actually went to a barbecue this weekend.
I was supposed to take the potato salad.
and I bought it instead of, and I put it in a bowl instead it was mine.
Oh.
But is that bad form?
Well, I mean, if someone, it's high, it's quite the predicament because, you know,
you want to show up with something and act like you made it because a lot of people make stuff.
But you don't have time, so you put it in a cute little bowl and boom, it instantly looks like it's homemade.
And the minute someone compliments it, you don't, you're torn, you don't know what to do.
Because someone's like, who made this potato salad?
It's amazing.
And then you're like, I did.
technically you just say, oh, I brought that.
And then you're not lying, but they're just going to assume you made it.
Did you lie, though, straight up, Laura?
Yeah.
What if someone's like...
Well, I did twerk it a little bit.
I torqued it a little bit because, you know, yeah, I jerked it a little bit, but yeah, I did lie.
Well, if you added even one ingredient.
True, you made it yours.
Isn't that your own recipe?
Mm-hmm.
Ooh.
Right.
Well, I have five kids, so, you know, it's a miracle we even made it with clothes.
Five kids. Wow.
Okay. Well, thank you for that, Laura. Thanks for calling. Thanks for listening to the show.
Yes, you guys are wonderful. You make my drive to work wonderful.
Thank you very much. Appreciate the call. Let's do one more. Sally and Missouri, how are you?
Hey, guys.
Are you going to do a teacher confession?
Yes. So whenever I have a kid who's being naughty and I know that they're being naughty and they won't admit to it, I'll pretend to have video evidence on my phone and act like I'm looking at the camera to see what they did so they admit it and they won't do it again.
Oh, that's genius.
Have you ever done it though?
And they go, no, I really didn't do it.
And then you go, well, they must be telling the truth.
No, usually they'll say no at first.
And I'm like, oh, do you want me to show you?
Do you want me to call your parents?
And they're like, no, no, no, no, I did it.
And they'll admit to it.
I teach kindergarten.
So they pretty much fess up to it.
Has any kid ever been like, yeah, show me teach?
Like straight dangerous minds.
Yeah.
And then I'll kind of act like I have it on my phone.
And then I'll act like my phone like glitched and the battery died.
Oh, that's amazing.
Smart.
How do we feel about that, though?
as far as like your morals.
That's fine.
I mean, I've done something similar with, like, Amazon.
My kids were trying to say they didn't buy something on the Amazon account
and you have to have this password.
I don't know.
But I was like, you know Amazon literally tracks everything that happens.
They know who it is.
They know everything.
Alexis here.
We got Amazon on all the TVs.
Our computers.
They're watching.
They know everything.
They know what time it was, what computer it was.
Who was touching the remote?
Wow.
You've got them scared.
Not even just the Amazon thing,
but they're scared to do anything.
I know.
They feel like the big brother's watching them all the time.
Sally, thank you for the call.
Thank you guys.
See you later.
There's Sally, Missouri.
Elizabeth in New York, you're on the Bobby Bone Show.
Thank you for calling.
What's going on?
I actually wanted to call and let you know.
I let my daughter stay up late last night
to watch Celebrity Family Feud
because she was a huge fan
when you were on Dancing with the Stars.
And when we realized you lost,
she started crying.
Me too.
Usually what she does when she loses.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, and I also cried then, too.
It was a lot of crying for me and your daughter.
How old is she?
She's six.
She's actually sitting right next to me.
Yeah, we're about the same age.
Can I talk to her?
Yeah, absolutely.
Hold on one second.
All right.
Can you say hi?
Hi.
Hey, what's your name?
Joseph, Sam.
Hey, so my name's Bobby.
Thanks for watching Family Feud,
and I, like you, was pretty upset that we lost last night.
Do you know who that is?
She doesn't want him to do it.
She doesn't want to talk to a loser.
I get it.
I didn't want to talk to me either.
I couldn't look at me in the mirror last night after the big loss.
Thank you for...
Thanks for watching.
You're welcome.
All right.
It'll be okay, though.
We'll go back.
I think she's a little awestruck.
That's okay.
Hey, thank you for calling on and save it.
This will be on the podcast.
Save it for posterity.
You can play it back when you turn 18.
Oh, absolutely.
All right.
See you later.
All right.
Thanks so much.
Put in the old time capsule.
A couple things.
One, we're getting hammered for saying baseball cap,
which I didn't think it was a bad answer.
No.
I didn't think blouse.
It was a great answer.
I didn't get hammered.
Listen, we only had five spots,
and so Eddie did not get to go.
Eddie, are you mad?
I'm getting hammered that you weren't on the show.
I'm not mad.
If we go back, you'll go.
Yeah, I just want you to maybe make a big effort
to make time to go back because I really want to do it.
I'll make the effort if I'm not shooting another show.
Yeah.
But even if you are shooting in the show, just cancel it and then we can go back.
Well, that can happen.
But, yes.
And also some, where's Morgan number two?
Morgan, number two, I hate to tell you, will not go on the show if we go on next time.
Oh, man.
That's okay.
I get it.
Thank you all.
Let's see.
What else do I have here?
Ramundo is our producer and he's in the glass room.
He's doing keto.
The keto diet.
Are you still on it?
Yeah, I've been on it for about two weeks now.
There's something called the keto rash.
Have you heard of this?
No, I don't think I have it.
It's a side effect of the low-carb diet, the keto rash.
Diaters complain the itchew.
rash spreads to every part of the body.
Oh, no. Even the scalp and the privates.
Oh.
No, no, my scalp's good.
Let me see your private.
I mean, you can check those if you want.
They say there's only one way to treat it, quitting keto and eating carbs again.
Yeah, no, we've decided on keto.
It's one of the better ones of all the diets.
So me and my girlfriend, we are locked in on that keto, baby.
But are you still drinking?
That's the tough part.
We talked about this weekend.
You almost got to eliminate alcohol because the next day you want to eat a bunch,
but you got to be on keto when you're all hung over.
It's tough.
And aren't there carbs and alcohol?
Right.
Well, we're drinking White Claw honestly only has two carbs.
Oh, is that, is white claw keto approved?
Absolutely.
Okay.
Some alcohol is.
It says, like, it's keto's so on trend right now that like, it'll be like,
drink this whole bottle of wine, keto friendly.
If you start to get a rash, it's from the keto diet and you should stop.
Yeah, it might be after months.
I mean, we kind of just started this thing.
We're still fresh.
Ramundo in the glass room.
Do you think that you will get engaged this summer?
I said, yeah, and I'm sticking to it, baby.
And how long have you been together with your girl?
Six years.
Yeah, but we're on track this summer.
Summer of love.
Okay.
Halfway through the summer.
Summer of love.
When's summer over?
I don't know.
It's still 100 out, so I think we're all right.
Well, today, yeah.
He just gauges it by the temperature.
All right, Raymondo.
Thank you, buddy.
Yeah, yeah.
You can watch the show.
We're on.
You can watch it.
We have the new studio, the cameras.
It's basically a TV show now.
On Facebook, search Bobby Bone Show.
On YouTube, Bobby Bone Show, even Twitter.
We're all up there.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
Cute little shelter pets all over New Jersey have a pop of style
thanks to this little 12-year-old dude named Darius Brown.
He's the CEO of Bow and Paul's,
which puts cute little bow ties on shelter pets
so that they stand out and get adopted quicker.
Now, while he's just started this out in New Jersey,
This 12-year-old has plans to expand across the country.
So, and I'm thinking about this, if I were to see an animal in a bow tie,
I'd be much more prone to make him my friend.
Agree.
Isn't that so cute?
His mission is to make sure every shelter pet looks and feels good
so they can find a forever home as quickly as possible.
On my Instagram, I put a picture on my dog yesterday and the day before
looking like an emoji.
Yes, he does look like that.
The crazy face emoji with the tongue out?
I'm just amazed at how many people like those.
pictures of my dog. Oh shoot, put him in a bow tie and imagine how many more he'll get.
That was where I was going. Yeah, I'm about to put him in a bandana just to get him.
He's got almost 100,000 likes on this picture where he's like looking like a nut.
Yeah. That's so, like, he's, he is that emoji.
You can go to Mr. Bobby Bones and Instagram and follow me.
Stanley. I'm starting to like be into it.
Because for a while he was just so out of control as a young, young, young puppy.
Now he's kind of getting control sometimes.
Mm-hmm.
And I'm starting to kind of feel like, okay, this could be a thing.
Yeah.
Because some people are like, do you love them yet?
I was like, love it just take care of them the whole time.
But I'm starting to be into it.
That's good.
It's weird though because I call him my wrong dog's name sometime.
My old dog had 15 years was Dusty.
And I'm like, Dusty!
I'm like, ooh.
Just kidding.
I did that with a girlfriend once too, with the girlfriend before.
Not good.
That one, the dog goes much better than the girlfriend.
Yeah, the dog.
Yeah.
All right.
All right.
There you go.
That's tell me something good.
Well, that's not.
That was tell me something good.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let's go.
Transmitting across America.
This is the Bobby Bones show.
That's right.
How was your weekend?
It was really good, except for Saturday.
It was a little rough because Friday night stayed out till like maybe 1230 or so,
which didn't get me home and in bed until after 1 a.m.
And that's, that's brutal.
Like, at this age, I just cannot go hard.
At this age.
That's not even like hard.
I mean, we didn't even like close the place down or anything.
But it just, you know, started out.
We were just going to go to dinner.
And it was just some girlfriend tonight.
Well, Kelly, our friend, Velvet's Edge, Kelly, she, we, she was gone for her birthday or we were all out of town for a birthday or something.
And it was kind of like a just catch up like little quick birthday dinner with her.
And then Amy, our other friend and Mary her, like her really super close friend.
So we went out to dinner.
And then at dinner we were like, hey, should we move this to, you know,
the top of the Thompson Hotel, the L.A. Jackson thing. And I was like, well, gosh, I don't know that
I've ever been there like at night. I think I've been there during the day. But it's a whole
another scene. Like, I just don't know how, I mean, these people are out and they are loving life
and they are out hardcore. And I felt like the old mom at the bar for sure. But when I got home,
I definitely felt old. And the next day, I think I recovered like around noon, which isn't good
because I've got two kids. Like I got to get Saturdays got to get that ball rolling. But I just
could not. I was on the struggle bus. Did your husband cover for you?
Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's fine. I just felt like, I mean, I was getting going, but something about me just felt off and tired. I just can't do like I used to. Probably 10 p.m. is a good time to call it quits.
I will go out with Morgan No. 2 sometimes and she'll go, hey, let's go out to the bar. Jason Aldine has a bar. And she goes hard.
Yeah, I don't know how she does it. She's also 25. Yep. Every weekend, I was thinking, I thought about you, Morgan number two. And the time is Bobby, you've gone out with her because y'all stayed out till it close.
which is what, two or three in the morning?
Can't even imagine.
Yeah.
It's tough.
I wake up like, oh.
But she gets up, I was messaging with her yesterday.
She was up at like 9 a.m. the next day.
But again, she's 25.
Yeah.
We're getting a little older.
I also fear being the old guy in the club and bar.
So I'm always like, ooh.
Oh, I know.
I was looking around and I was like,
God, these people probably are here every night.
They're probably here on week nights when I'm in bed at seven.
This is the life.
And I'm at home.
I prefer home.
I was messaging Morgan number two as well.
I watched some of our show back because it's all up now on Facebook or Instagram.
Like you can watch the show as well.
And there are people in the chat room in the Facebook page.
I was like, block them.
Block them right now.
Because all they do is get in there and like one person was just complaining about you the whole time.
Me?
They're like, we hate Amy.
She needs to be off the show.
And all they're doing is saying negative things just to be seen.
So I was like, block them.
I was sending Morgan number two names.
I'm watching and record names going block them.
Block them.
You don't need to be in there creating negativity.
People, especially about you.
Well, I mean, that's fine if you feel that way.
No, they were just causing trouble to cause trouble.
Okay.
You want to be in the chat room and talk along.
That's great on the Facebook page.
But don't get in there just to cause trouble.
Yeah.
And if you don't like me, don't listen.
Oh.
Just kidding.
Just getting.
Everybody has someone they relate with.
Like, you listen to the show.
There's one of us that you relate with.
You don't have to like everybody.
Yeah.
I saw you listen to a couple of my podcasts over the weekend, huh?
I did while I was trying to recover.
Is that what you did?
You podcast?
Well, because I was like, I got to get moving.
it helped me like clean the house or I just like to listen to podcasts while I do that and I finally
got to the Carrie Edwards one which I've been wanting to listen to for a few weeks and she's
Luke Brian's manager and an awesome person she manages Luke and she manages Cole Swindell this is a clip from
the bobby cast here's Carrie Edwards saying that Luke Brian called her one day and was like hey can
you give Cole Swindell a job I think we're still pulling that one oh we don't have the clip no oh
you guys give me a heads up on that and did you listen to the other one yeah the Mike dungan he
Yeah, and I didn't really know, I mean, I know who he is, but I didn't know much about him.
And obviously, with both of them, because they've got high up jobs in the industry,
it's just interesting to see where they started and where they are now
and kind of like follow their career and all the cool stories they have in between
because they get to see and do a lot of cool things.
It was awesome.
And he's the CEO of one of the biggest record labels, period.
And here is Mike Dungan, who has Chris Stableton on his record label,
and he was talking about how Stableton met Justin Timberlake.
I got rain is a good thing here.
All right.
We don't have that clip.
Oh, that's what I have in front of me.
No, I have Duncan, but he's talking about rain is a good thing.
Are you on the air?
Is he talking to my ear?
No, he's on the air.
I have no idea what's a new setup.
Who's talking?
Well, that story was interesting, though, because it's like, you know, they were in this meeting.
And Luke's songs, like everything that Luke was pitching or they were putting forth,
like, was just, Mike was like, no, not good, no, not good.
And he said it was even awkward in between Carrie Edwards.
Same, the other girl in the podcast was in this meeting too.
And he said things were getting awkward.
Like people weren't.
looking at each other and it was like getting tense.
And Luke was like, well, fine, I got nothing.
I have nothing to play you, but I do have some stuff on my computer that's blah, whatever.
And then he hears Rain is a good thing.
And Mike's like, well, this isn't, you know, amazing, but this will do.
This is what we need?
And then it was a hit.
What do you say?
It was number one for five weeks.
Here's the rain is a good thing clip.
Here you go.
Oh, my goodness.
You guys hear Ray going.
We don't have it.
I didn't hear that one.
Oh, my God.
Not that time.
Never mind.
I even stalled with that story.
No, I know.

Okay, so Avengers Endgame is now the biggest movie of all time.
It's made $2.7 billion.
I thought it was real good.
Do you know what the number two movie is?
Nope.
Avatar, that's the one it beat, was the movie of all time.
Number three?
Now is Lion King?
Titanic.
Star Wars at 4.
Oh, we're going way back.
And then, well, it's all time.
Okay, got you.
This is the biggest movies of all time.
And then number five is Avengers Infinity War.
So they've got two movies, Avengers do, that have made over $2 billion.
Those are good movies, though.
I like the Avengers movies.
Your kids saw the new Lion King?
They did.
What they think?
They thought it was so amazing.
They loved it.
And I didn't realize on the cartoon one that they'd only seen like half.
I thought they'd seen the whole thing.
So now they want to go back and watch the whole cartoon one.
And then my husband and I, we didn't go with them to the movies.
So now they're like, they want us to go back.
Because they're like, no, no, no, no, y'all need to see it.
And I was like, well, we'll just wait until it comes out and we'll watch it at home.
They're like, you should really see it in the theater.
That means they want to go back to the theater.
Yeah, they want to go back and do the whole popcorn, Lion King and the theater thing.
Mike, do you saw Lion King live action?
What did you think about it?
I thought it was good.
I think it is kind of weird because it looks so real.
It's kind of hard to, like, picture their voices matching the animals.
Is it like a National Geographic special more than it is a Disney movie?
Like the first 20 minutes, it felt like that.
Really?
Yeah.
What do you give it?
I give it four out of five lions.
Anyone else see Lion King over the weekend?
Nope.
My kids did, but I didn't go.
I was out of town.
Look at all you parents.
You're going with your kids.
I know.
Bad parenting.
No, are you kidding?
It's amazing.
They get to see a movie they've been wanting to see and I didn't have to go.
Now you'll have to go.
No, I think I can pull off waiting until it comes out at home.
Because honestly, it's something my husband and I do want to see, but I just don't want to go to the theater for it.
Walking Dead is going to be released as a movie.
What?
Yeah, and the main guy, Rick, is coming back.
Okay.
The first planned movie centered on the Walking Dead will come to theaters.
I'll watch this.
I'm out of Walking Dead because I stopped watching it probably two seasons ago.
And so, but the main character is gone from the show, but he's going to come back into a movie.
I'll see that.
Yeah, I will too.
I think they'll be pretty good.
They have like three spinoffs now on that show.
They got Fear of the Walking Dead, be scared of the Walking Dead,
have a nightmare about the Walking Dead, all that.
So there's all your movie news for today.
You see anything good?
You watch anything right now?
Oh, I started Chernobyl.
On HBO.
Yeah.
It's real life.
That's real life stuff.
I know.
So just FYI, if you don't have HBO, I found it on Amazon Prime.
And so I had to buy the season, but whatever, it's worth it.
It's only six episodes.
Six episodes.
And it's so, it's, well, I'm only two episodes in, but I cannot wait to finish it.
It's like I need to know.
It's sad.
It's terrible.
It's tragic.
I can't believe it happened.
But it just blows my mind how they had never experienced anything.
like this and it's almost like the scientists and the people that worked there, they couldn't
believe it. They're like, that's not, nope, everything's fine. Everything's for so long. Like,
everything's fine. And like, people were dying. People are going to get selfies. And you'll see as
it, it's all history. I'm not going anywhere near it. Well, you're not supposed to go there for like 10,000
years. Yeah. Because of everything in the air there still. And people are going over and they're doing
tours. Nope. Crazy. Like the world almost ended. If you watch this, for sure, Europe was almost
wiped out. And it's so much like
so many people, they didn't know
exactly what was happening, but there were scientists
that were brought in that like totally
were seeing what was happening. And it was crazy to me.
This isn't give anything away, but just it'll make you want
to watch it. They were flying into the scene
like government officials and he brought to some
big wig scientist guy with them. And they're flying
in and he wanted to get closer to where
it happened. And the guy
can see the particles, the graphite particles
and he's like, I see that. Don't go
anywhere near it. And then the government
official tells the pilot,
you fly me over there or I'm going to put a bullet in you.
And I'm like, dang, I do not.
That's Russia.
Yeah, I'm like, I'm so glad I'm not, I don't live in Russia.
Jeez, that's how they got things done over there.
So then the scientist goes up to the pilot and is like, if you go anywhere near that
and you don't like basically turn this plane around, you're going to be begging for that
bullet come tomorrow because of what those chemicals are going to do to your body.
That quick.
That quick.
They're going to start eating you from the inside.
I mean, it was so crazy.
Oh, la la la.
It's pretty cool.
Intense.
Because I don't have an HBO subscription.
But you can watch shows like on Amazon Prime now.
Right.
You can buy individual shows from HBO.
Just pretty cool how it's all connected now.
I know.
I love it because we don't have, yeah.
We used to have HBO when we had cable,
but literally we canceled cable last week.
And we're saving $47 a month.
Thank you.
Yeah.
Just by going to Hulu Live.
That's basically what we're doing.
You're saving that much money?
Yes.
If it weren't for live sports.
You can watch, no, my husband figured that out.
Do you think he got rid of cable without being able to watch sports?
trust me, we watched golf yesterday.
Oh, and you hated that?
I watched the guy in Northern Ireland.
Yeah, Lowry, whatever's name of my name.
Whatever win, and there hasn't been a golf tournament there in 70 years.
Kind of felt for him.
Special moment.
Yeah?
Do you get a little emotional watching golf?
I mean, I'm just saying we're not missing sports.
Don't you worry about that.
So get it.
This isn't a commercial, by the way.
I know it's not.
The only thing that I watch, I watch sports and I watch Nick at night.
But I watch The Office all the time.
Like, the office is the only thing that's on my TV.
I watched comedian
The Cars Getting Coffee
That came on
That was a new show
This weekend on Netflix
But even Netflix
I'm kind of like
I'm kind of getting tired of it
Oh I'm not
I'm just not entertained
As much as I'm paying for it
Especially if they lose the office
And friends
What am I gonna do?
Get a girlfriend?
Of course not
Not gonna happen
No
God no
Well you got the dog
I know
He's getting pretty cool though too
He's getting a little bigger
He's not just
You know, and he stays in his kennel now five to six hours.
I wasn't going to really push him, but I did a little bit.
Oh, does your potty girl come on the weekends?
Nope.
Just weekdays?
You might want to define potty girl.
It's a personal thing.
It's something I'm into.
She comes over.
Dog walker comes in the middle of the night, which is, and just takes a dog out.
Most people, if they get a dog walker, if they work for like eight hours, they'd have them come at like noon or one.
Right.
Me, I work a different schedule, and I need to get my sleep.
So she comes at one in the morning.
And I heard her come in last night.
Scared the crap out of me.
That part's got to,
you got to figure that out
because the whole point is to not disrupt your sleep.
Like you're,
you might as well be getting up
to take the dog out if you're going to wake up
and save money.
Nope,
but just laid down.
That was pretty good.
I fell brought back asleep.
Okay.
And then I saw the story about the guy
that started the Area 51 event.
You know,
he's the guy that was behind the actual,
hey,
I'm going to create a Facebook page.
We're all going to meet up at Area 51
and, you know, see them aliens.
And they asked him about it.
And here's a clip.
I'm kind of worried about that.
I've had a couple people DM the page where they're like,
I'm willing to die for the government, let's do this.
And I'm just like, oh my God, bud.
The guy who has, according to Facebook,
has convinced more than 1 million people to Storm Area 51
in search of alien secrets,
has come out of his house.
He lives in Bakersfield.
Shout out of Bakersfield.
Shout out.
To explain how a simple joke spiraled out of control.
Maddie Roberts says he created the event,
Storm Area 51.
They can't stop all of us
after listening to two alien enthusiasts.
The event's gone viral, almost 2 million people pledging to attend.
And even the government's going, if you guys do it, we're going to shoot you.
It's like Russia.
Yeah.
I mean, ugh.
But I thought that was funny where he's like, people are actually committed to this and they're not going to die for the cause.
And it was just a joke Facebook page.
He's probably not even going to show up.
Yeah, right?
He watches from home.
Last night we were on Celebrity Family Feud.
We did not win.
but I thought it was pretty funny.
Amy goes up and she's second.
Amy goes up to the table where you put your hand down
and you hit the button.
And they asked the question.
It was like, why would a guy be in a hole?
That was the question.
Why would you find yourself in a hole?
Yeah, and Brooklyn Decker,
we were playing against her and Andy Roddick.
She answers.
Then it goes over to Amy.
Amy has a chance because Brooklyn didn't answer
the number one answer.
So here's Amy.
With those eyes.
You're still looking at me.
With those eyes.
What did you mean by that?
I was just trying to, you know, I don't know.
Butter them up?
Sure.
Yeah.
Anything.
What'd you want me to do?
What'd you want me to go?
Amy?
Yeah.
Is that what you wanted?
Yeah.
That's honestly what I thought he was going to do and be like, okay, well, Brooklyn didn't get the number one answer.
Amy, what do you think the number one answer is?
And then I was going to say because you fell in it.
But I never got to.
Because he just looked at you.
Right.
He looked at me.
And then I thought, and then I thought they were joking.
And they were going to go now?
No?
I got me, Steve.
She has to go back?
Where?
From whence you come?
All right, Tessa.
Do you hear in there?
Now I know when I hugged him and they edited it out.
But I said, I'm going to need to be consoled.
And he goes, come here, come here.
And that's when he gave me a hug.
And when he hugged me, that's when I whispered in his ear.
Better make this right, Steve.
And they didn't want to put your terroristic threat on television?
Yeah, because I felt like that.
Oh, it was just such a bummer.
Whatever.
get the game now. I know the rules. Well, we lost. It was fun. We went to the final question.
If we had got the final question right, we would have won. We did not win. They still gave me
$5,000 to donate to St. Jude. So they still got money. Hopefully we can find the time to go back.
So it was a lot of fun. Thanks to everybody who watched it. It was hard for us not to tell you
what happened. For me, because it drove me crazy not to win, I wanted to be like, don't watch.
But I wanted people to watch because it was fun. And, you know, we couldn't say anything about it.
And we didn't.
And we held a secret and everybody watched it by myself though.
Morgan number two hit me up.
She was like, are you watching?
And I was like, yeah.
She goes, are you watching it?
I was like, no, I'm alone.
I need to watch it.
Because I didn't know how bad it was going to come off.
No, he didn't.
It was actually pretty good.
We were, we did okay.
We were fun.
I'd say that much about us.
Yeah.
We're definitely a fun group, an interesting group.
It was fun.
People asking me my favorite songs on the radio right now.
I do one of those Q&As on my Instagram,
and I thought I would just do this right now.
Here are my top five songs.
Bobby's favorite five songs right now
In no order, by the way,
because I like them all.
And number five, Luke Combs,
beer never broke my heart.
Here you go.
That song is such a jam.
I think it would be number one for like 100 weeks
if dumb radio didn't do these dumb rules
where they just passed out number ones to everybody.
That would be the number one song for a long time.
It's not even number one yet,
but that song is such a jam.
Also a big fan of Old Dominion,
one-man band, which is,
I don't want to be a one man band.
I love that one for a
I don't want to be a rolling stone alone,
putting miles on a run-down band.
Maybe we could take our own.
Also, I love the
Brantley Gilbert and Lindsay L. song.
What Happens in a small town.
The Kane Brown song, which I'm not even sure,
I don't know if it's a country song or not.
It's just good.
Kane Brown and Marshmallow.
Have you, well, I played it on the air.
One thing, right?
This song is a jam.
Here, hit that one.
I got one thing right.
You.
I met that marshmallow guy.
He has a big marshmallow head on.
I thought he wouldn't be able to talk because mask guards aren't supposed to talk.
He talks through the head.
It sounds like this.
So you didn't see his face.
No.
You can probably find it on the internet, huh?
You've never seen marshmallow's face?
Oh, I don't know.
But he was talking through the head.
Now that that was wild.
I was like, Mass guy's supposed to run it.
It's supposed to be quiet.
Real marshmallows were supposed to be quiet.
want to talk?
Finally, Ingrid Andrus, this song is called More Hearts Than Mine, and it's real good.
Play me a hook at that, please.
This song has such an interesting, like, message.
I've heard a lot of love songs, a lot of breakup songs, but I've never heard a song written
about, hey, listen, we're going to date.
You break up with me, like, I'll be all right, but all my family is going to end up
loving you, and you've got to break up with them too.
Yeah.
And when she played it in here, I was like, oh, I never even thought about a song about it.
So I'm going to play it now.
Listen to the song.
It's so good.
She's so good.
Ingrid Andres, this is more hearts than mine here on the Bobby Bone Show.
You can stream it, download it if you like it.
To show you where I grew up.
Walk you around the foothills of my town.
I want to go over and talk to Jesse in Colorado.
Jesse, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show.
What's up?
Hello.
Hey.
Hey, I was in Denver when you came in and went to sell your show on Friday.
Oh, yes. The Raging Idiots Take Denver.
Yeah, did you have a good time or no?
Yeah.
It was a great time.
And when we came to take a picture with you and met you, you gave my daughter a silver bull necklace that she loved and was very happy about.
Oh, yeah, I remember that. It was after the show.
Eddie and I walked out to the lobby and we're meeting everybody that wanted to stay around and meet us.
And I had a bull necklace that we had some in the back.
The station is the bull in Denver.
And so I met his daughter and gave her a necklace.
Nice.
That's something like Santa Claus.
Yeah.
Well, I'm glad you had fun, Jesse.
Thanks for coming and thanks for calling.
Oh, yeah, thank you.
It was definitely a great show.
I know we all loved it.
We've actually sat a couple feet away from Waco Brown,
and that was a great surprise.
Yeah, and he got to get up and does the get-up,
and the whole thing was awesome.
Lisa had to go.
Oh, yeah.
It was great.
Thanks, Jesse.
Thank you.
All right, see you later.
If you want to come if you're in San Antonio or Austin or in Chicago in two weeks,
Raging Idiots.com.
A guy in New Jersey.
he was clocked to go on 142 miles an hour.
Wow, how?
He was going 142 and a 65 in New Hampshire.
He was speeding in a...
What can I call it?
Probably like a Ferrari.
Yeah, probably, except it's a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Really?
Who knew that would go 140 miles an hour?
How do he do that?
He was mug-shotted and he's smiling in the mugshot.
He's been charged with reckless operation.
And so, I just, I don't get to 100.
100. I don't get to 90.
I get about two over and I start to get a little antsy.
But you've been to 90 before, right?
I can't recall ever going 90.
What? I've gone 90.
Accidentally.
Listen, I probably have because some speed limits I've been out of an 80.
Right. And you look up and you're like, oh, okay, better slow down.
But I don't remember. And if I did, I was ashamed.
I hated it.
It's blocked it out with your memory.
Thank you for hanging out with us today.
Really appreciate it.
I hope you have an awesome day today.
Ammy, what's going on?
Well, Stasheera has volleyball can today, and Stevenson's at some other kind of camp,
and there are two different times, so I think I've got to pick her up, which I'm super excited
to see how she responded.
It's her first time ever doing volleyball, and I was telling her I used to play in, like,
seventh and eighth grade.
So if afterwards she wanted to go hit the ball around.
Oh, boy.
So it might be, you know, we're taking my volleyball gear with me to pick her up,
and then we go bounce around.
What about you?
I'm doing a podcast that coming up in like 30 minutes called the Are You Kidding,
podcast where a couple of kids are interviewing me.
Oh, that's cute.
It's a great name for it too.
Are you kidding?
Awesome name.
And then tonight I'm doing an episode of the Bobbycast with Thomas Rhett.
Oh.
He's coming over to the house.
Big podcasting.
So one I'm doing and one's doing me.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
I didn't know.
Thank you.
So yeah, check it out.
Mike, do we put in the TR one up tonight?
Yeah.
Thomas Rett podcast is search for Bobbycast.
By the way, if you'll go and you'll rate that and you'll write a nice review,
that'd be awesome too.
But the Thomas Rett one will be up.
So thank you very much.
Yeah, a lot of words today, but go ahead and back in the swing of things.
Have a great rest of your Monday.
We'll see you on Tuesday.
