We just finished Monday's show and have brought Hillary in the studio, who we call her Utility Hillary because she does a little bit everything.
Starting point is 00:03:07 I lost my microphone. Did you guys lose me? Yeah, yeah, for a second. Was that a Ray Mundo special? Yeah. Okay, cool. So anyway, Hillary's in, and so, but you had something happen to you over the weekend. You went to a concert?
Starting point is 00:03:20 Yes, I went to a concert. What happened? Where'd you go? It was a Jason Aldeen show, like a station event thing. Okay. And while I was there, a girl was down the row for me, and she was facetiming her friend. And she kept the volume up super loud. Like she was showing her friend the concert, or she was literally talking to her friends?
Starting point is 00:03:38 She was doing both. She was, like, letting her hear the songs, but she was also having a conversation with her. Now, what kind of, is this a big, like, arena show? It was a small venue, and it was acoustic. Oh, wow. So, I mean, it's quiet in there, and she was just volume up so loud, and it was pretty obnoxious. Okay, so you're sitting there. Amy, what you've done?
Starting point is 00:03:58 Oh, I've been awkward. I don't know. I probably had just ignored it, but I've been really annoyed. Okay, what did you do? I said something. And I never say anything. Sweet, utility Hillary. What?
Starting point is 00:04:08 Wow. I never say anything. Well, so it's really quiet, and she was, like, down the road from me. Everybody's looking at her, and so I got her friend's attention, and her friend looked at me, and I was like, can you tell her? Like, and I pointed my phone, I was like, it's really loud. Like, we can't hear Jason perform. And so she, like, tapped her friend, and the friend just kind of gave me.
Starting point is 00:04:27 me a look and she kept on going. Oh, then she just kept talking. She kept going, kept talking. Oh my gosh. It was his last song anyway, so I was like, I'm not going to make a big deal, but how do you get, how did you get into the show? Is she someone that was in the music business? I don't know. She was sitting up in the section where there was like a lot of music industry people, but she had to have been a guest or something. I didn't know who she was. She wasn't with us. So I don't know who she was. It was very rude. Yeah, it was very rude. I would have said, I think I had to said something in that set. because I'm to say something in the movies guy most of the time.
Starting point is 00:04:59 If someone's talking on the phone or they keep lining their phone up, I'll be the guy who goes, hey, shh. Yeah. Because it, more so than me, it's just so disrespectful to everyone. And I feel like everyone's sitting in thinking the same thing. Like, I wish somebody would say something. And then you did, but it was also the last song. It was.
Starting point is 00:05:16 What she looked like? What celebrity did she look like? I really don't even know what she had dark hair because she was kind of like sitting by me, so I didn't really get a good look at her face. I was trying not to make eye contact with her because I was kind of, of scared, not going to lie about saying something. I thought she was going to try and fight me or something. What about the friend on FaceTime? What'd they look like? I don't know. I didn't see him. I was like next to them so I didn't get to see, but they were very
Starting point is 00:05:36 chatty. They were very loud. Yeah, that's rude. Once I got into it with somebody to movie theater, Mouthing and the lights came on. He was 11. So you kind of never know. Yeah, when the lights come on. Yeah. Well, okay, good for you for saying something. Probably wish you to say a little earlier though, huh? I do, because a few songs have gone by. I just don't say things, but I started noticing everybody around us where I was really annoyed. And I was like, if nobody's going to say anything, I will. Because this is very disrespectful. Look at you. Yeah. A little sassy. Well, okay, thank you for your story. And everybody, we're using this as a public service to stop talking in places we're supposed to be quiet. Yeah. If it's an acoustic show, if it's a comedy show,
Starting point is 00:06:16 if it's a theater performance of a play, shut your mouth. That's it. If it's a loud arena concert, great, it's supposed to be loud. But if there are silences that are used as part of the show, that's not for you to talk. I think that's the general rule. If silence is used as an instrument, maybe there are beats in talking between two actors on a stage, there are jokes, and I'm especially sensitive to this because I'm trying to do stand-up and people won't stop jibber-jabbering, or like an acoustic concert, where there are times where you're playing and you just stop for a moment to go back and somebody's, yeah, Becky, I couldn't believe it either. Did you believe it? She had Massimo on, even after that scandal.
Starting point is 00:06:57 I'm like, shut up. Okay, thank you, Hillary. Thank you. Appreciate that. Of course. Amy sent me a picture over the weekend. I guess there was a sign that where the place was established in 1969. And Amy had her kid standing in front of the sign and take a picture.
Starting point is 00:07:12 And she was like, I'm also 12. Because it said, 1969. Well, I just thought Bobby would appreciate it. Mike D had posted a picture of the guy from Parks and Rec, his. his wine, Ron Swanson, but he sold his wine. It was 6969. So dumb. And he tweeted, if Bobby had control the prices.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Thought that had pretty funny, too. A couple of things we can roll through. Carson Daly talks about a sleep divorce and how that can make your relationship stronger. What does that mean? Well, we've talked about it a bit on the show before where if they're doing something that keeps you awake at night, you have sleep in different rooms. And that can actually help where you're thinking it's probably not good for the relationship. it can actually make your relationship stronger.
Starting point is 00:07:56 And so he's talking about that. Apparently, like a third of people would like a sleep divorce. Amy, your thoughts? I don't, but I could see how if it, like, if my husband snored like crazy and I was getting no sleep or he kicked and, I mean, that's probably what he feels about me. I'm pretty like, I kick him over. Yeah, I know. Now I'm thinking he might not want to sleep next to me.
Starting point is 00:08:16 But luckily, I don't think either one of us are that bad. So. Would you be offended if he said, hey, I'm not sleeping. therefore I'm not even flying and being able to perform my best because you're keeping me up all night. Yeah, I would. But I guess I would have to understand that if he was snoring really loud and I wasn't, just because I think we value sleep more now as a society than we have in years past. I think 10 years ago, if I didn't understand the importance of sleep, I'd probably be like, what? You're crazy. I would never do that. But I guess just right when it's sleepy time,
Starting point is 00:08:48 if you need to go sleep somewhere else, but it's weird. doing our promo shoot for American Idol. And later on in the show, you'll hear me talk about us with Ryan Seacrest, who we're friendly now because we do that show together. We see each other a lot. And so we were talking about sleep because we were talking about how much sleep we get
Starting point is 00:09:04 because we both run pretty hard. Yeah. And he's, you know, I think Ryan's 44 or so. And he said, you know, in the last few years, I've really started to put a high priority on sleep, like the highest. And I think him, especially in me as well, like we've always valued our hustle.
Starting point is 00:09:21 and at times it's been miss sleep, but now I look at it as if I'm not sleeping enough, I'm not going to perform as well during my hustle. And so I can do a lot, but if you do it at like 60%, it's not as good as doing most at 100%. So, but we had the conversation where I think you're right,
Starting point is 00:09:38 sleep is starting to be a bit more valued. There are still days where you're just not going to be able to sleep. It's going to kids, work, stress, illness, but it's more times than not. And I think that, you know, what's weird for me is I finally started to understand what loving yourself means. And it doesn't always mean giving yourself ice cream or taking a break. It means sometimes making hard decisions that you would make for someone else but for you.
Starting point is 00:10:05 And that means to sometimes shut up and go to bed. When you think, oh, I can't. I should do that. Again, to love yourself means to make the same decisions you would make for someone else that you love but actually make them for you. And sleep for me has been a part of that where I've also started to prioritize a bit more sleep. Still running, obviously, but that's become a bigger deal to me too. So I'd sleep. I've already sleep divorced my dog. Yeah, he's got his own room now. Yeah, he's got his own room.
Starting point is 00:10:32 He's out. Beer boosts your creativity drastically. So lunchbox is asking him come in drunk because he'd be so creative. I'd be a lot funnier on the air if I could do that. I mean, you guys would let me do one show. Let's try one show and see how it goes and then. Well, we did a show where you and Ray, I think, got drunk on St. Patrick's Day. Oh, man. And how awesome was that? It was not. They took a shot every like 10 seconds. I remember y'all doing it.
Starting point is 00:10:56 I guess I just don't remember if it was like more awesome or not. Yes. I think you had to send them home, right? They were so drunk. Yeah. I had to have somebody to take them home. Correct. And they were slurring and I was afraid what they were going to say on the air.
Starting point is 00:11:09 But yeah, they say that according to a study, beer helps with problem solving skills and opening up your mind more than if you were sober trying to connect the dots. But when you go over the limit. of four alcoholic drinks, your brain power starts to fade. Okay, so we'll do for a morning. It's not being drunk. You have to find that balance. Yeah. A man broke into an apartment without
Starting point is 00:11:30 realizing the guy inside fights with medieval combat weapons. Went into a nerdy guy's place, but turns out the dude has medieval style of combat and a bunch of weapons, so the dude that broke in, got hit with the battle axe, and ran away bleeding. Dang. That's like people, if they come into my house, they probably think nothing's going to happen, but it will. What do you have? I have African spirits.
Starting point is 00:11:50 I have a machete. You only get one throw with that spear, too. No, you don't throw it. You charge with it. Oh, I'm not charging anybody. I am. I already practiced. Mike, did you watch Rick and Morty last night? Okay. Speaking of nerds, Mike and I are both huge nerds for Rick and Morty.
Starting point is 00:12:08 There's a new season. We went in for two years for new episodes of Rick and Morty. And there's a new season except only five episodes. What's the deal after those five episodes? Do you know? I think they take a break and then they come back with another five, but it's going to be a minute. A break? What kind of break?
Starting point is 00:12:21 They've had a two-year break. I know. Such a good show. By the way, today, Hey, Ramundo, if you want to get this song ready, today in 1996, Dina Carter's song, Strawberry Wine, went to number one. Who, today and country music.
Starting point is 00:12:34 Hit me with that today in country music. The Bobby Bones Show. On this day in country music. 23 years ago today, Dina Carter, strawberry wine goes to number one. Here you go. It was released August 1996 as her debut single,
Starting point is 00:12:55 and the first from Did I Shave My Legs for This Strawberry Wine is her most successful single overall It's considered a signature song Both for her and songwriter Martresha Berg Anyway everybody loves song This is a song where you were as a kid
Starting point is 00:13:09 If you're R-age If you're 32 or older You know where you were around When the song was out It just reminds you of whatever you were in Only a few really generational songs For each generation That was it
Starting point is 00:13:23 Kind of for that decade And I love Dina too as a person. Just the best. Lives in California. You don't get to see as much as I'd like to, but she really is fantastic. I believe she'll be at the CMAs on Wednesday, which is good. Love seeing her. By the way, the Marines are allowed to start using umbrellas. What? They, what? Yeah, they weren't. They couldn't. For the first time ever. Here are the rules. The service members may carry an all-black plain standard or collapsible umbrella during inclement weather with their service
Starting point is 00:13:50 and dress uniforms. Before the change, only female Marines had been allowed to use umbrellas. They have and the umbrellas have to be carried with their left hand so they can still salute. Wow. American celebrated the 24th birthday of the Marine Corps is November 10th. And by the way, today is Veterans Day. We do talk about it in the show multiple times, but just another shout out to all our veterans out there. And if you're watching this on Facebook and you didn't get to hear the radio, sure. Shout out there.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Finally, women are better driver than men, study proves. In 2018, 539,000 people were convicted of driving related offenses. Of the 539,079% were men. Wow. Wow. And we don't let the women drive, so the woman was in the passenger seat. I didn't say that. Lunchbox said that. I didn't. I definitely didn't.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Eddie, who drives in your family? My wife. You liar. No, for the most part, she does. When you're in the car. You even told me on road trips, you don't allow her to drive. Road trips are different. School. Eddie's like, she's allowed to go to the gas station. School, grocery store? I'm in the passenger seat.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Usually streaming a game or something. Oh, that's why. You want to watch sports. You want a driver. Okay, it doesn't matter why. Interesting. My wife, if we're going somewhere, it's me driving. I drive. Because you don't have anybody. I drive you sometimes. By the way, we have a new bed for the Tuesday song for tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:15:12 Oh, okay. And not even a bed, a song that was produced for us. I don't know how this guy got my number. But I get a text from a guy. It goes, I'll read it to you. He said, dude, whatever. And I said, new phone, who diss? And then he told me.
Starting point is 00:15:29 And he goes, hey, I'll make you a free beat for Tuesday for free. And he gave me his Instagram name. Scary. And then I was like, great. I said, I'll use it. And I'll pay you if we end up taking it to the studio. And then he sent it to me last night. So he goes, eight bar intro and the rest should fit your lyrics.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Oh, A bar? Perfect. Cool. All right, hit me, Ray. Even though it's not Tuesday? Yeah, I just want to hear it. So tomorrow when we do Tuesday. He just wanted to make sure.
Starting point is 00:15:55 Yeah, no, you're good. I just wanted to make sure that tomorrow when we do Tuesday. Oh, okay. Ooh. And he said he did it My Key too. Oh, okay. So thoughtful.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Do you know your key? Yeah. Tuesday. H.O.A. Tuesday. Housewife's going, Boose Day. I'm just talking about Tuesday. The best day of the week, you all know what's my time.
Starting point is 00:16:20 So I made a song about Tuesday. So happens it rhymes. The lowest number of crimes. The super bingo at night. I don't know how you do your Tuesday. This is how I do mine. The sun comes up. There's a smile.
Starting point is 00:16:29 mouth white because I love Tuesday is the first thing I shout. Free Zumba this morning and every Tuesday of five I got my spandex on it's time to head to the Y I said Tuesday. Pretty good beat, huh? It's good. Do you like the rhythm? Sure. The tempo?
Starting point is 00:16:43 Yeah. It's a little fast. It's a little fast, but. But you're keeping up. I'm kind of into it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I have to work plans.
Starting point is 00:16:54 I got my spray tan. I'm drinking lemon water out of me some cayenne. Pebbles and bam bam. I'm watching C-SPAN. And then it's two for one is Sonic with a conie and each hand. I say, yeah, yeah. Oh. Bringing in the horns.
Starting point is 00:17:06 That's pretty good. It's Tuesday. Is my recycling on the curb as I drive off? Yep, my recycling's on the curb. Dang. I'm kind of into it, huh? Yeah, it sounds good. I like it.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Do the... I go to Mardi Gras. On a Tuesday. I go to Cromaga. On a Tuesday. I'm playing Pokemon. On a Tuesday. Came out of my mom.
Starting point is 00:17:26 On a Tuesday. Okay. We know it's Monday. Not to be confusing if you're just not. When we launch into it tomorrow that it all fits and rolls. His name on Instagram is at Freak the Baddest. Okay. Hey, what do you think about possibly like, kind of like a little Naz X and Keio?

Starting point is 00:18:08 Anyways, pretty good. Tuesday. I get so many Instagram videos from people singing this song. Really? By the way, this was a song we just threw in the garbage. We wrote it and we laughed. That's like five years ago, dude? Yes, we sat around my table in Austin and my condo up there.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Me, I'm not even sure who I wrote it with. I think Ahmad was there. Amad. Mike Signs? Maybe. Or Michael Treo? Or Treo? One of the mics.
Starting point is 00:18:31 No, we just sat up there and we're like, hey, let's just write something. Eventually, we'll have to take it to the studio. Got to do what you got to do. Got to do what you got to do. That's right. Amen, brother. It is what it is. Amen, brother.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Okay. It's Tuesday. It's Monday, though. It's Monday. Monday. Eat a cinnamon. Monday. Got going to have some fun day.

Starting point is 00:23:51 Morning. It is Veterans Day. Shout out to all of our veterans. Like, we love you. We appreciate you, we care about you, we try to do as much we can for you. Just a big old appreciation from us to you. And since it is Veterans Day, we're going to talk to Dave Winters from the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, and he's going to tell you how you can actually help out our military.
Starting point is 00:24:14 Dave's good to have you on again. Thank you for having me. It's great to talk to you. Hey, I think one of the things that our listeners want to know, and we'll get this from the start here, what exactly is the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund? Thank you. The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. And as you said, we're national organizations supporting the men and women who serve our nation, the military, and their family.
Starting point is 00:24:32 Specifically, we're helping service members who are suffering from traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress. We're building a series of treatment centers to help these men and women get the care they need for their brain injuries. We're building centers and military bases all across the country. We're a nonprofit. We're raising funds to do this, and these centers are really helping these heroes of the danger and serving our nation. You know, a lot of my listeners like to get involved, especially when it comes. to help in the military, what can they do to support the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund directly or through Napa?
Starting point is 00:25:03 All the funds to build these treatment centers for assaulters with traumatic brain injury, they're all raised from donations from the public. So we ask our listeners to please support your friends, your neighbors, your people in your towns who've served. You can visit our website, Fallen Heroesfund.org to learn all about what we're doing and to donate to support. You know, we are big Napa folks, and I know you guys are too. So let's talk about how the partnership with Napa came about, like, how long have you're working together and how much have Napa and, you know, their customers and our listeners impacted the Fallen Heroes Fund?
Starting point is 00:25:38 Napa Auto Parts has been working with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund since 2012. They wanted to do more for their community specifically, but, you know, for helping the men and women who have served. So they came to us and said, hey, we want to partner with you to help raise money. And since that time, through a whole series of great efforts, mainly by allowing Napa Auto Parts customers to donate through Napa Auto Parts stores and through purchases to support us. They've raised over $10 million for our efforts. So they are an amazing, amazing partner and great Americans because Napa Autoparts, they care. I mean, they really do care. They put their money where their mouth is, and they really have stepped up for our troops and their families.
Starting point is 00:26:19 All right, give me that way they can help again. How can people help? Please visit our website at fallen heroes fund.org. There you can learn all the information about our organization and how to donate to help. It's Veterans Day. And again, great to talk to you. And let's do what we can for our heroes and are out protecting our freedom. So, Dave, appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:26:41 And thanks for spending time with us this morning. Thanks for having me on. I appreciate it. There is. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of of the day. Big shout out to all our veterans. Today is Veterans Day. We appreciate you so much. We hope that you understand and hear us doing a lot for you, but we can't possibly repay you for what you do, including your husband, Amy. Oh. You know, just we appreciate you so much. I was
Starting point is 00:27:05 reading this story about veterans. And by the way, Veterans Day sometimes confused with Memorial Day. However, Memorial Day honors those who died while serving in the military. Veterans Day honors all those who have served in the U.S. military alive and deceased. It was originally called Armistice Day commemorating the end of World War I, but now it has turned into all the wars, anyone who served, and that's where Veterans Day comes from. Celebrities that you did not know served in the military, or maybe you did. The first one, you probably did.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Elvis. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Okay. Elvis was drafted in December, 1957, and went to the Army in March, 1958. You got to imagine, he's the biggest star in the whole world and he gets drafted in the military. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:27:49 Crazy. So crazy. Yeah. He was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. Willie Nelson. Did you know that he was a military man? I didn't, I guess. I did, I forgot.
Starting point is 00:28:00 He left high school in 1950. He enrolled in the Air Force when he was 17 years old. Oh, wow. Shout out. He was medically discharged due to back problems. Clint Eastwood. He spent time serving during the Korean War, which is pretty wild.
Starting point is 00:28:14 He was a lifeguard and a swimming instructor at Fort Ord, eventually being promoted to corporal. One night, October 51, Clint Eastwood was on a Douglas AD1 military aircraft that had departed from Seattle and was headed to Sacramento. The plane's communication system failed, forcing the aircraft to crash into the Pacific Ocean. What? He had to swim to shore. No way. Clint Eastwood escaped serious injury. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash joined the Air Force at age 18. He volunteered to join during their Korean War. He served in Texas and Germany before receiving an honorable discharge after four years of service in 1954. Pat Sejack from Will of Fortune, Morgan Freeman, Mr. T., Drew Carey. Wow. Do you know Drew Carey was in the military? I didn't.
Starting point is 00:29:04 1981. Drew Carey entered the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, six years. And then B. Arthur. Do you know who that is? Yeah. Dorothy from Golden Girls. girls. She served in the Marines. The actress served 30 months in the Marines as a typist and truck driver. And so those are celebrity ones. Obviously, if we knew all everybody's name, we just
Starting point is 00:29:25 said here and read everybody's name, we could, all of our listeners. We appreciate you guys so much. And, you know, tell your husband today too. I will. And if my father-in-law is listening, I'll shout out to him too. He served in Vietnam. Did your husband always want to be in the military since his dad was in the military? Yes. At five years old, I mean, his dad dad was a fighter pilot. So at five years old, and they lived all over the world, which I love that my husband got to experience that as a kid. But yeah, he was like, I'm going to be a pilot and his dad went to the Air Force Academy. So he's like, well, if my dad went, I've got to go. And it wasn't easy for him. Like, he had to work really, really hard to get in there. And he did it.
Starting point is 00:30:01 And then he was a pilot and was in the Air Force for 12 years. Well, we appreciate you guys so much. And if you're a veteran, just we tip our hat, we, we, everything you can do, that. It's like that. We tip our hat. We give you a hug. Thank you guys so much for listening, but mostly for serving us, because we wouldn't be able to do this if you didn't do what you do. So thank you.
Starting point is 00:30:22 The Bobby Bone Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? Yeah, temperatures across the country are going to drop 15 to 20 degrees today, tonight, tomorrow. In Florida, a man was airlifted to a hospital with a substantial injury to his leg after being attacked by an alligator.
Starting point is 00:30:40 He was in a National Reserve. officials are investigating how it happened. And finally, happy Veterans Day. Make sure you thank a vet today. The Bobby Bones show. Remember that wedding that we talked about where they were like, hey, come to our wedding. It's going to be a sunrise wedding.
Starting point is 00:30:54 And they asked everybody to be up at 5.30 in the morning when the sun was coming up. Yes. And we were like, what are they thinking? So Eddie, I was invited to basically a sunrise birthday party for the kids. Same thing. It was 7 a.m. on a Saturday.
Starting point is 00:31:07 What? I was like, are you kidding me? I couldn't believe it, but we went, and it was 7 a.m. on a Saturday. Okay, but why? No reason. They just said it was kind of, no, no reason other than we just figured to be early in the day and just kind of get over. And they're done. They didn't have to do it later.
Starting point is 00:31:26 I would think like maybe, I don't know the kid loves breakfast. The kid loves it's his favorite meal of the day. But even then, you can serve breakfast food all day long. It was the same party that you would have it. Four, three, eight, whatever. Cake. Cake. Same thing. Cake, everything. Except it was at 7 a.m.
Starting point is 00:31:42 What food? Did they have breakfast food? No. No food? No food. What? You had people? Coffee? They had no desserts and stuff like that, but no like, no hot dogs or anything. I have never heard of something like this. It was pretty crazy. And what did you think about it? I hated it. I love my Saturdays. My Saturday mornings are not to get up early and go to a birthday party. But my son really wanted to go and we went and here's the thing. Was there? Not really. Oh. Yeah, because they had the birthday party at 7 a.m. Not really, yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:10 Amy, what if your kid's friends would have a 7 am. birthday party? I don't know. Stasheera's not going. I'll tell you that much. She doesn't wake up till past nine. And, I mean, Stevenson would go, I guess. I mean, we're up, so I'll take him, but that's not what Eddie's right.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Like, I don't, I'm up, but I want to be, like, in my house, like, chilling with my family. The theme wasn't Saturday morning cartoons or anything? No, no, nothing like that. Isn't that crazy? That's crazy. Go to our Facebook page. You can tell us, first of all, if you ever experienced anything like, like this. Yeah, I've never heard of anything like this. This is two stories within two weeks of people
Starting point is 00:32:42 having parties early in the morning. A wedding and then a birthday party. Listen, it's early in the morning right now. And I'm not feeling it. And we're not happy. And we're getting paid to be here. I want to put on Josh in Florida. Josh, what's up, dude? Good morning after you? Morning. You good? You good? I feel like I'm yelling at him through a tunnel. He's so far away. Like, hey, die. Josh, where you live in Florida, bud? Arcadia.
Starting point is 00:33:12 Where's Arcadown? Where's that? It's a small town probably, it's about an hour in from Sarasota. You doing setups right now? Is this happening? I was just having to run to my phone. I was doing a little bit of work, and I had to run to my phone. All right, I'm going to give you a chance to win 100 bucks here with the 60-second showdown,
Starting point is 00:33:35 but you've got to get a clearer phone line here. Hold on one second. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can you hear me better? Oh, there he is. Yay. He's from Arcadia. Is Arcadia, like, near Port Charlotte?
Starting point is 00:33:51 It's about 30-minute drive for Port Charlotte. How about Miyaka River State Park? Yep. Yeah. You're looking at a map. Yeah, yeah, I got a map up, broke like, I pulled it up, and I used my fingers in State Park. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:05 I'm going to know where everybody's from now that I have these screens up here. Hey, Josh, you have three categories to choose from. Would you like the category? 2010 movies, which are all movies from the decade of 2010s, Outer Space, or Thanksgiving. Ooh. That's right. So you get to choose those three. If you get all 10 of them right, you win 100 bucks. Okay? All right. Let's do, let's see. I'm probably going to regret not doing Thanksgiving, but let's do 2010 movies. Okay, so I'll give you 10 questions. You get all of them right. You win the money. You can pass. Even if you miss one, we'll come back to it. Okay. So don't spend too long. with any one question.
Starting point is 00:34:44 I'll try my best. Are you ready to rock? I'm ready to rock. Say, I'm ready to rock. I'm ready to rock. There it is. Let's do that with all the callers, you know. Make them say stuff.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Yeah, well, I just go, are you ready to rock, and they have to do it back in a rock voice. Mm-hmm. Are you ready to rock? I'm ready to rock. Nope. Nope. Nope. Are you ready to rock?
Starting point is 00:35:03 There it is. He's ready. All right, 60 seconds on the clock. Here we go. The movie Creed is an installment of what popular movie series? Um, uh, Rocky. Correct. This movie starring John Krasinski is about a family living in silence from creatures which hunt sound. Silence?
Starting point is 00:35:26 Incorrect. What actor plays Captain America? Uh, pass. Anna Kendrick started what musical comedy about singing? The movie Whiplash, the musician plays what instrument? Incorrect. What's the name of the 2010 movie about Facebook? What was the name of the final Harry Potter movie? Sorcerer Stone 2? No. That's...
Starting point is 00:36:02 Not doing too good. Yeah, man, you weren't ready to rock. I'd be honest with you. Well, who wrote and directed Django Unchained? Yep. No. He was not. Not real.
Starting point is 00:36:20 I wouldn't. Did you pick the category you'd be worse at? No, no. Oh, okay. All right, right. I should have picked Thanksgiving. Yeah, Thanksgiving was right there for you. Rocky, A Quiet Place
Starting point is 00:36:32 Was the John Krasinski movie Chris Evans is Captain America Pitch Perfect is the Anna Kendrick movie about singing. In Whiplash, he played drums. Oh, yeah. About Facebook, the movie was called
Starting point is 00:36:45 The Social Network. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2. There you go. Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained. Which movie starred Jennifer Lawrence and is based on the books? Hunger Games. Correct.
Starting point is 00:36:58 What Pixar film? moments about the voices we hear in our heads roaming in and out of our heads. Inside out. Inside out. Inside out. Insiginary inside out. No. Well, I never saw that, but I heard it was so good.
Starting point is 00:37:11 So good. Josh, he didn't win. That's all right. I have fun doing it. Yeah, he had fun doing it. There is, everybody. There's our boy, Josh. All right, Josh.
Starting point is 00:37:19 We'll talk to you soon, bud. All right, thanks, guys. All right. Head fun at State Park, the one I knew because I looked on the map. Yeah, yeah. Starting point is 00:41:05 Bobby Bones saw a tweet from a fan named Jennifer. She asked if Bobby could get Old Dominion to play their song Nowhere Fast at their show that night. Well, Bobby tweeted Old Dominion and made it happen for her. In a video now making the rounds on the internet, Carly Pierce surprised people and performed three songs inside of a New York City subway station. And you can see the video up at Bobbybones.com. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny.
Starting point is 00:41:28 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. A college student in Atlanta used Post-It notes to write the message, hire me on his window so the Fortune 500 company across the street could see it. And they did, and they put up a post in Post-it saying, email question mark. He wound up interviewing with them and then getting the job that he wanted.
Starting point is 00:41:55 Wow. On a Post-it? Uh-huh. That's crazy. It's just all about being noticed in a way that everybody else isn't trying to get noticed. It's just about being different in getting a shot. He didn't get the job from the notes, but he just got noticed from the notes, and then that gave him an opportunity.
Starting point is 00:42:10 It's a 19-year-old guy who's a student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and his dorm window faces the banking technology company called NCR. He's a computer science major. He said, hey, everybody else was trying stuff. Let me try this. And then it worked. It got him in. And next thing you know, bam, got an interview.
Starting point is 00:42:28 Bam, got the job. That's awesome. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones show. Bonehead. This story comes to us from Louisiana. A woman used to work at a doctor's office, and on her last day, she was like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:42:44 I needed to steal some of these slips. So she took some doctor's notes, took them home. She's like, how can I make extra money? High school kids. She started selling them for 20 bucks a pop. Just a note. There's nothing written on. I was like it right their own prescription.
Starting point is 00:42:56 No, no, no, no. So they could get out of school. like excused absence notes. And so a lot of kids were being absent from school, playing hooky. And the school's like, man, this doctor sees a lot of our students. So they call the doctor's office. He's like, no, I've never seen any of those students. Traced them back to her and now she's in jail.
Starting point is 00:43:11 Oh. Then you go to jail for that? Didn't know that. Well, she stole the doctor's notes and she was selling them for 20 bucks. How does you not sell for prescription? Like you shouldn't do that. That's what I thought it was with all that. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 00:43:23 I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and my Mr. Bobby Bones. All right, it's Monday, so it's time to play Amy versus Lunchbox. How we come up with the questions is we Google trivia questions for the ladies, and then we ask Lunchbox those. Yep. And then we Google trivia questions for the dudes.
Starting point is 00:43:52 We ask Amy those. Yep. They're supposed to be out of your element. You guys ready to play? Yeah. Let's play Amy versus Lunchbox. Lunchbox is up first. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Lunchbox, Real House Wives star Joanna Krupa. recently gave birth to a baby girl. Which Real Housewives show was she on? Joanna Krupa. Am I saying her name right? Joanna Krupa. I think so. Joanna Krupa.
Starting point is 00:44:19 She had to be New Jersey. New Jersey. Incorrect. Amy, Real House Wife star Joanna Krupa was on which show? Gosh. Oh! Why did I get kids? For love.
Starting point is 00:44:35 I'm just kidding. And to give them a solid home. I love my kids, but that's when my Bravo TV watching went downhill. So like, but I think she's Atlanta. No. No, she Beverly Hill. No, she, what is she? I knew this one.
Starting point is 00:44:50 She's Miami. Oh. Yeah. Miami wasn't even a good one. Maybe that's why I know that one. Lunchbox. Shoot. Good American is a fashion line by Witch Kardashian.
Starting point is 00:45:03 So pretty multiple choice here. a few answers. Good American is a fashion line by what Kardashian? We'll go with, uh, Kim. Amy. Chloe. Dang it. That's too obvious. I should have gone Chloe. Coal pencil, felt tip, gel, and liquid are all types of what makeup product. Again, I'll ask it again. Cole pencil, K-O-H-L, cold pencil, felt tip.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Yep, gel and liquid are all types of what makeup product? Mascara. No, not right. Amy. Eyeliner. Correct. That's not the same thing, right? No.
Starting point is 00:45:47 Okay, I had to look at Mike to go, I don't know if this is right or not. I know, and I was like channeling. You better not get that right. Oh, in that tone? In my head. In my head. Okay. Right now, Amy with two, lunchbox with zero.
Starting point is 00:45:57 Let's go to the Amy questions. Here we go. Now, these are all dudes for dudes. Amy, what ingredient in beer is responsible for fermentation? What ingredient? Yeast. Correct. Eddie, did you know that?
Starting point is 00:46:17 I did not. I was about to say hops, but is that the same thing? No. No, no. Don't think so. The NFL is divided into two conferences. What are the two conferences? What?
Starting point is 00:46:27 I thought that just college was two conferences. The SEC? College has a ton of conferences. How? Even more. What was the other one you thought in college? SEC in? The big 12?
Starting point is 00:46:36 or whatever, the Big Ten? Well, two different. Okay. That's three so far. Anyway, no, no, the NFL. Divided into two conferences. What are the conferences? East Coast, West Coast.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Boom. Now, lunchbox you get still? NFC, AFC. Correct. What does that even mean? National football conference and the... Hold on, what's the other one? AFC.
Starting point is 00:47:01 American? Yeah. Good job, Amy. I mean, come on. Leo DiCaprio. turns 45 years old today. In what action movie does he play an undercover cop who infiltrates the Irish gang in South Boston? This is.
Starting point is 00:47:17 Leo DiCaprio turns 45 today. In what movie does he play a cop who infiltrates an Irish gang in South Boston? I know this. Okay. It is like, but I feel like I'm confusing right now with one of my kids' favorite movies, which is called The Descendants. But is there the kid version where they dance and sing on a boat? Interesting.
Starting point is 00:47:41 Or is there also this rated R version? Or is there another word that starts as a D? Like, you know, okay, I'm just going to say descendants. Oh, incorrect. What is it? It's the departed. Departed. Amy thought there was the same movie.
Starting point is 00:47:57 Kids and adult were once, like a gang movie. I was like, my brain was not, I knew it started with a D. Well, Amy with three points and lunchbox with two, you are the winner. And Amy versus Lunchbox today. There she goes. Let's play that song. She is dancing alone. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:25 Yeah, yeah. It's a Bobby Bones show. We love it when you reach out to us. We love to respond. And sometimes we do in the segment we call the mailbag. Bobby's Mailbag. Hey, Bobby Bones, as Jennifer writes in. So I'm a bit of a clean freak.
Starting point is 00:48:43 My husband, quite the opposite. I recently asked him to wash up our four-year-old son and put him a clean clothes. his response was something along the lines of he'll be fine he didn't even really sweat today i learned quickly that my husband has a pretty loose no sweat no shower policy if he feels he hasn't sweat of much that day doesn't shower which makes me totally uncomfortable but whatever where my issue comes in is that if he doesn't shower he also doesn't change his underwear or his hands or his face or anything else any advice on how to get my husband to change and stop being so
Starting point is 00:49:16 Gross from Jennifer S. Amy, you're up first. Yeah. Tell him it's not going to get any if he doesn't take a shower. Oh, wow. Right there. He'll shower so fast. Get him to do whatever you want. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you're going to punish her also. Huh? How's that punishing her?
Starting point is 00:49:37 Not getting any? I mean, it's only... He's got a shower. That's the... He'll shower. Trust me. He'll shower. That's your suggestion. Yes. Okay. Lunchbox? Look, you married him knowing. he was that way. So why are you trying to change him? You love him for him. Except who he is. It's okay. I'm the same way. I go to soccer games. Sweat. Get in bed. Let's go. You come right from soccer and just go to bed with your wife? She's okay with that. She's okay with it. I don't even understand that. Did she become okay with it or has she always been okay with it?
Starting point is 00:50:09 I mean, she's never said anything since we started dating. I mean, how are you, that's what I've been doing my whole life. I don't understand why it's a big deal. It's just sweat. You're going to sweat. But don't you smell bad? And like, taste like salt? Some people like that. Okay. You know, my thing is always you can negotiate.
Starting point is 00:50:27 That's what I was doing. That's a hard negotiation, maybe. Okay, what is it? You can negotiate things that are important to each other. Like, hey, it really bothers me that you're not taking a shower. If you take a shower, I will, you know, not bust your chops if you want to play video games 30 minutes. Or I just think there are certain small things that you can do.
Starting point is 00:50:51 And listen, Amy's tactic works too. That's a negotiation. That's Amy's going line in the sand. But I think there's always a negotiation. Yes. And if that's happening, you want to be clean. I don't know what is happening over at lunches house. I don't want to think about it.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Too late. I don't understand. It's the same thing that's happening at your house. We know. I'm clean. Like you're telling me your husband. has never been sweaty when you... Alright, relax, everybody.
Starting point is 00:51:20 So, okay. Amy, your final answer is... That's my answer. Okay. And Lunchbox, your final answer is? You love him as he is. Don't change him. But again, you're always trying to make each other better.
Starting point is 00:51:32 I don't think changing and making people better. I don't think that... Yeah, that excuse of I've been doing that my whole life. I mean, you're right. I do a lot of stupid stuff I've done my whole life. I'm looking for somebody to help me change my ways a bit. Yeah, you should want to grow. That's a good point, though.
Starting point is 00:51:45 I think there's a middle ground. always the middle ground. I think there's a way that you can trade baseball cards on this. Yeah. Okay, I would prefer you to not be gross and sweaty. What would you prefer me to be better at? Yes, ask him. Ask him. Say, what am I doing? Because you know you're doing something that it bothers him. So say, what is it that I'm doing that's bothering you? And I will work on that if you work on this. Trade baseball cards. Boom. That's it. Yeah, Bobby wins. That's the best tactic. All right. Mine's, you know. No, yours works. They listen, they're all tactics, right? So you can choose the one that works for her the best. And that is the mailbag. And that was Bobby's Mailbag.
Starting point is 00:52:19 And if you want to reach out to the show, Morgan number two, what do they do? Mailbag at bobbybones.com. The Babble Show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So apparently there was a bug that affected text messaging all over the country. So some messages that were sent back in February, including February 14th, Valentine's Day. People never got way back then, but they suddenly just started getting them. And that was a long time ago.
Starting point is 00:52:45 So some people have broken up since then, and they're getting Valentine's Day messages from their ex. Some people have passed away since then. And people are getting messages from their loved ones that are no longer with us. So obviously people are like freaking out. I mean, texts were going out to friends, bosses, clients, all that stuff. And the carriers aren't sure what happened. T-Mobile is blaming it on a third-party vendor. Sprint says it was because of a maintenance update.
Starting point is 00:53:11 And Verizon and AT&D haven't commented. Well, it can be all those different reasons. like if it's happening to all four different carriers. I mean, yeah, I would just be like, oh, this is really wild. Yeah, how about, I don't know. If it'd be creepy and weird and sad, if someone who had passed away messaged you, or would it be awesome and amazing. It would be awesome.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Unless you didn't know it was coming, and all of a sudden, you're like, wow. But here's the thing, right? My luck, if I'm trying to remember back, on Valentine's Day, I probably shoot my shot with something. I'm like, hey, it's Valentine's Day, and I never hear from them. And I'm like, oh. Yeah, I know, right? Yeah. where some of these people were like, wow, rude, didn't even apply, but they never got it.
Starting point is 00:53:49 Because I never believe when someone goes, I don't know if my text got to them. I don't know if my text got through. It always gets through. Not this time. I know. I know. It's a movie, too. That's a movie too.
Starting point is 00:53:58 Oh, yeah, yeah. Like you reconnect when text message didn't go through. Maybe it's a web series. It's not that good for a movie. Maybe that's a web series. Start there. Yeah, yeah. Amy, what else?
Starting point is 00:54:06 So Oprah put out her favorite things gift guide, which of course there's like, well, knowing of stuff where, like, the average person can afford. but, you know, she also has a lot of money, so she put some crazy things on there. Like a $35 bottle of hot sauce. Now, $35, but it's six ounces. That's it. That's all you're getting,
Starting point is 00:54:23 but it's made with, like, truffles or something. It's supposed to be amazing. So if you know somebody that loves hot sauce, that could be a fun gift for them. An $8.78 espresso machine. What? I don't know how much espresso machines run for. I don't, I don't.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Because the hot sauce bottle to me is nutty, though. Right. $35 for, that small of a bottle. I'm just not a truffles guy because I don't understand truffles. I don't have the palette for truffles. Sometimes I see these black market truffles
Starting point is 00:54:51 news stories where people are faking truffles because they're worth so much. This girl I follow on Instagram just went on a truffle hunt with dogs, like an... Like a snipe hunt? What? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:01 It looked really cool and fun, but it was like these cute little dogs out. I don't know what... I think maybe she's in Italy and they go through the woods and they sniff out truffles. I'm looking up what espresso machines normally cost for a nice one,
Starting point is 00:55:12 like a really nice one at bed, bath, and beyond, it's $150. Yeah. Well, Oprah's must be like Starbucks. It comes with a barista or something. It pays a full-time barista. It's $870. Then there's $195 lighted makeup mirror, which I'm tempted to click on that because I'm like, well, what's so special about this? And there's a $108 smart dog collar complete with an activity monitor so you can see how many steps your dog is getting.
Starting point is 00:55:38 Are you kidding me? Oh, my God. I don't want to have any steps that you're getting much less your dog. But it also has a GPS tracker, which is awesome in case your dog gets out. You'll always know where they are. And then finally, a like $1,600 exercise bike. Mm-hmm. So in case you want to get something from Opus list.
Starting point is 00:55:54 And then I've got a rundown of deals available for our military today. It's Veterans Day. So just a heads up, like if you need a haircut, great clips. They're offering like free haircuts to anybody, any branch we've served in the military. Coles is offering 30% off purchases now through like, like next Monday. And then Amazon, if you want a prime membership, they're giving you $40 off.
Starting point is 00:56:18 And then, of course, like restaurants like chilies, cracker barrel, red lobster, Starbucks. I mean, I would say if you're in the military and you're eating anywhere today, you can be like, what's up? Just wear your uniform. I'm in the military. Yeah. And then you're probably going to get hooked up
Starting point is 00:56:30 because obviously we are super appreciative for our military and what they've done for us and what they do. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. This little five-year-old boy named Charlie, he was hungry, so he called 911 and thought that the 911 dispatcher worked at McDonald's, so he ordered himself a happy.
Starting point is 01:00:39 meal. It's all he wanted. I want a happy meal. So officers, obviously, they responded to the call because they needed to make sure there wasn't like a real emergency. But the police officer that went, went ahead and went by McDonald's, picked up a happy meal and took it to Charlie, which is so cute. And then the parents were so embarrassed and mortified that their son had had improper use of 911. But they thought it was really suited to the officer. And then the officer even sat down with Charlie and talked with him about the appropriate times to use 911 and what it's really. really for. That's good. That's a good one all the way around. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 32nd Skinny. At last night's E's People Choice Awards, Blake Shelton took home the award for country artist of 2019. Oh, good for him. I didn't get a chance to see the PCAs, although I only know that
Starting point is 01:01:32 because E, I followed their Instagram, it was every picture. I thought something was going It was every picture. And so good for Blake. It just shows you how different all these country music awards are. Because the ACMs, Al Diencoe entertainer the year, then he won't be nominated at all for CMA entertainer of year. And then Blake wins. So I like it.
Starting point is 01:01:52 There are a lot of awards because you can't give it to... Good. I like it. That's my final statement on that. Go ahead. Bobby Bone saw a tweet from a fan named Jennifer. She asked if Bobby could get Old Dominion to play their song Nowhere Fast at their show that night and well Bobby tweeted at Old Dominion and made it happen for her.
Starting point is 01:02:10 Has it happened yet? I thought it was coming up. I did tweet at Old Dominion. I was like, okay, I know the guy's Old Dominion. So I sent him a tweet. I was like, hey, play the song. It's a school night. She's going to the show. And they were like, cool, we'll play it. And they added it to the set list. Dude, that's awesome. I thought it was pretty cool too. I love those guys, though. Those are like my dudes. When is the show? It's going down this Thursday, November 14th. Okay. So, yeah, if you're going to that Tulsa show, they're going to play nowhere fast because of somebody in the crowd. But that's pretty cool. What else? All female artists are opening up the CMA Awards Wednesday night
Starting point is 01:02:37 And some of the songs that they are performing were just announced Including Redneck Woman, Born to Fly, Independence Day, and a bunch of others And it's all going down this Wednesday on ABC at 87 Central It's going to be a really special opening That's what I'll say You know it? I do, yeah, I do know it. I mean, I'm on the show and yeah, it's great.
Starting point is 01:02:57 It really is going to be fantastic And I hope you guys watch on Wednesday night. There you go. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. BORNY. Why was the gravy sent to the principal's office? Why was the gravy sent to the principal's office?
Starting point is 01:03:14 He was acting saucy. It's good. What? Is it? Yes, it is. Thomas Wrett, life changes now. Let's play this. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:03:29 The Bobby Bono show. So my dogs had a couple issues since the surgery. His eye, which he went into surgery to get fixed because he had what they call a cherry eye. this red part of his eye had grown over his eyeball, and they went in and cut it off. And after surgery, the vet said, hey, there's like a 10% chance it could grow back. It grew back in two days.
Starting point is 01:03:47 Oh. And so this poor guy, he can't even have it worked on again because he just had a cut and it just kind of popped back out again. I know. And so he had a cone for the first couple of days.
Starting point is 01:04:00 And then I graduated him to what looks like an inner tube around his head. Or like a, yeah, a donut. Yeah. Well, to me, I just imagine he feels like he's going to, to go tubing. He's already wearing the tube.
Starting point is 01:04:11 It's on my Instagram story if you want to see it, Mr. Bobby Bones. But he's not supposed to run because he had surgery. He also got neutered. He's like all these surgeries. Only one of them took, which was the neutering. Which now I'm starting to wonder, are they going to drop back? I just regrowth. So I feel bad for him.
Starting point is 01:04:28 He doesn't know the difference. He's a puppy. He's eight months old. But his eye is back to being messed up immediately. So I'm going to call the vet again today after the show. I'm going like, what do we do now? So, but he's on. Do you get like a refund? I don't know. Because it was not cheap, obviously.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Right. Or you get a, if this happens, it's okay, bring him back in, we do it for free? I'll find out today. Okay. I don't know. I did that. A lot of listeners were asking about a dog update. And then I was in Oregon, we have a lot of really nice listeners in Oregon.
Starting point is 01:04:58 I was right outside of Bend, Oregon. And we shot American Idol for two days out there. And then we did the promo shoot on Saturday. So it was like everybody there together? At the promo shoot? Yeah. Here, I'm going to tell you I'm an idiot story. You tell me if you think I'm an idiot or not.
Starting point is 01:05:14 So if you're new to the show, I'm the full-time mentor on American Idol. And it's me and Luke, Brian, Katie Perry, Lionel Richie, the three judges and Ryan Seacrest. And we're all talking. And Ryan, who I think's great, and he just got inducted to the Radio Hall of Fame. Oh, yeah. And I was like, hey, man, congratulations. That's really awesome. And love Ryan.
Starting point is 01:05:39 And he was like, yeah. And he goes, you know, the thing is, because Ryan's in his 40s and he's really young compared to the other people who were going into it. And he goes, yeah, the thing is, you know, most of the other guys that were going in were quite a bit older. And he goes, you'll see in a couple years if you get in.
Starting point is 01:05:55 Oh, my gosh. Well, and like an idiot, I go, oh, I got in two years ago. Oh, my gosh. I just should have let it go. Oh, my gosh. I know. I just should let. I mean, he knew that.
Starting point is 01:06:07 I don't think he knows what's up with me. I just should have let it go. I mean, I'm just saying I think maybe he forgot. That's a good lesson. Because I was just trying to go, oh, I've been there too. I know how awkward it was when all these people you feel like are super deserving or getting in and you're going, oh, do I even deserve to be here? Right. In the time, I was 37 and he goes, oh.
Starting point is 01:06:31 And then he starts to be funny about it. And I'm like, I did not mean it like that. Oh, because she probably feels so awkward. He's like, well, he goes, he goes, well, this is going to be a talking point on Ryan and Kelly on Monday. And then Katie goes, you should probably talk to your therapist
Starting point is 01:06:43 about that to me. Because I didn't mean to just blur. I was so dumb. I shouldn't have said that. Because I love that whole team there. And yeah, he was like, you'll see. And I was like, no, I mean, I did a couple years ago. And they're all like, ooh,
Starting point is 01:06:56 I'm an idiot. Sometimes just let other people have their moment. So that happened. What if he is talking to was therapist? No, she's talking to me. Katie told me to go to my therapist. I thought she was saying to Ryan. She was like, you need to go talk to your therapist about why you just blurted that out.
Starting point is 01:07:10 I was like, I know. Oh, I thought she was saying that to, I'm glad you clarified. I thought she was telling Ryan like, ooh, that I talked to your therapist. But in my heart, I was just doing it to be like, I get it. Yeah. I don't think it's weird that you said that, but yeah, you probably shouldn't have. I know. Yeah, I'm an idiot.
Starting point is 01:07:26 But it was a good weekend. I mean, a lot of people were irritated about something that happened in the CMA Olympics, where I asked a question differently. Morgan number two, you're watching social media. What happened? It was the, during the trivia section, and it was about the movie. Apparently with Morgan, you said of all time. And then with Eddie, you just said a movie you didn't hit all time. Opposite.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Well, in the end, Eddie lost all three categories anyway. Right. He would have lost, period. Oh, is that when he went with whatever that 80s movie? Basic instinct. Yeah. Whatever. But, man, the controversy was real.
Starting point is 01:08:04 I love controversy. They came out hard. I was like, I should have. I didn't even realize it. So. But it is not being overturned. Eddie would have lost all three categories anyway. Love the effort though, Eddie. You did great. I did nothing. I did nothing. The people were like outrage. No, no. I love the effort of your performance, but you kind of bombed out on all three of them. Yeah, I did. Thank you. Otherwise, we're all good. Everybody good? Yeah. Good weekend? Yeah. What do you squint in your eyes for? Nothing how Eddie spent like, he had 15 seconds to do quotes and he was like, and I was running. Like he did like
Starting point is 01:08:37 He had like all kinds of Or not quotes but interpretations Impersonations and he spent so long on Forrest Gump when He had 15 seconds and he did all Forrest Gump impressions And then you're like times up and he's like oh man I had way more than that I had like three more people I had like five plans
Starting point is 01:08:53 A guy got dumped By a date last Tuesday Okay On a date she's like you know what You're just not the guy for me And that was right before he was at a horse track. He won $553,000 on a horse racing bet. After that, she's like, you know, I'll stick around. And he bought her drinks. The guy's name
Starting point is 01:09:16 is Kenny Morgan. They went on a date Tuesday. They were watching and betting on the Melbourne Cup horse races. His date wasn't really into him. And he says, quote, she said, ah, it's not going to go anywhere. But just as she was about to catch a bus home, one of his long shots hit, and he won $553,000 on a $7 bet. And believe it or not the woman changed her mind stuck around. Oh, believe it or not. She then saw some real future in a relationship. I don't know that they're going to stay together forever,
Starting point is 01:09:42 but he's like, I'm going to use the money to buy a house. But she's like, you know what? Maybe I was wrong. Maybe you do have potential. Yeah, women like that money. They like that money. I don't hate gender reveals. I think sometimes the people doing them make really dumb decisions.
Starting point is 01:10:00 Lunchbox was talking about this plane crash. What happened? There is a gender reveal in Texas, so this plane goes. up and it's like a plane that can drop water on a fire, but instead it has pink or blue, you know, like smoke that comes out. And so he drops it and it's all pink and he gets too low and he crashes into the ground. No way. Yeah, so they hired a pilot friend to fly and either dump blue water or pink water based on the baby's gender and the pink water came out. But then he lost control of the plane. Because he was too low. And then crashed. And so the pilot and the
Starting point is 01:10:33 passenger of the plane wound up with minor injuries. The guy was 49. He had been flying so low that he could dump about 350 gallons of pink water for the gender reveal. And he was going too slow is what it happened. And then he crashed down. But again, non-life-threatening injuries. It's crazy people can crash a plane and not die. With all the stuff I see on TV, all these plane crashes,
Starting point is 01:10:55 you ever watch that show where it's like, we almost died? People talk about getting into plane crash? I survived, I think. I survived, I think. I survived. That's what it is. Oh, it's really good. It's not called Almost Die? I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:11:05 But they should call out that. Here is Ryan in Louisiana, who's on the phone right now. Ryan, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on? I'm good. Morning studio. Morning. Okay, I had a question on comedy show etiquette.
Starting point is 01:11:21 I went to an open mic a couple weeks ago, and they were just really not good. They're super amateurs, and I just wanted to know, should you still give a pity laugh to make them feel good? Kind of like awkward silence, or should they know, hey, my material's, not good and we just not laugh at them. I think you can pity them a bit at first, but then you got to just stop. Because they have to know, to be fair to them, they have to know too, what's working so they can get better. I think not even just about you, about them, if they're trying to be, isn't a comedian or
Starting point is 01:11:55 a musician even, would you give them a pity? Yeah, if they didn't just really rock. No, you probably clah. So I would say it's also good for the person, not just comedy, but anywhere, to kind of have a realistic gauge of where they are. So my answer is no. At first, you can be like, but then you've got to finally be like,
Starting point is 01:12:12 this isn't working. I often during my comedy shows, I look for the moments where it doesn't work because I know that's kind of where I can start getting better and I try to improve on those moments. They pity laugh the whole time wouldn't get any better. Yeah, you wouldn't think all your stuff was just saying. I'd be like, dangled it.
Starting point is 01:12:27 I wouldn't have crushed that. You'd keep doing it. That's my advice there, Ryan. How's that sound? It sounds good. That's what I thought too, but it was just such an option. silence. I was like, gosh, we got to do something. But I agree. They're not going to know that
Starting point is 01:12:42 they weren't good if we laughed the whole time. Correct. All right. Appreciate that. Thank you. How good day. See you later. When that happens to you, are your feelings hurt? No. Because, like, I could see how you just feel awkward and, yeah, you feel bad for them and, like, you don't want their feelings to be hurt. But if they're like you, then they're looking for that opportunity to grow and be funny and they want to know what doesn't work. In my stand-up shows, I know what's going to work because I've done it and tested it so many times
Starting point is 01:13:07 and I will put stuff that I'm not sure about in the middle of stuff I know is going to work so if it's a bomb I just go to something that works but I look for those bombs because I'm always trying new stuff I'll never do a show and not try something new
Starting point is 01:13:17 so there's always a point in every show where people won't laugh as hard as the other stuff and then I go well that didn't work I can change that a little bit but it's not just comedy it's life
Starting point is 01:13:26 it's you know you need real life and I always feel crowds are the most honest toward me because there's no pressure. It's dark out there. Don't laugh if they want to laugh. And they paid money.
Starting point is 01:13:39 Speaking of which, Las Vegas, Friday night. Eddie, I'll be there. Come out and not laugh or laugh, whatever you decide. Let's go to Rodney and Florida who has called the show. Rodney, appreciate you calling. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:13:50 Hey, Bobby, how you doing? Pretty good. What do you want to say? Hey, I just want to say, I just want to thank you for what you do for the Vets. I really appreciate everything you do for us. I'm a retired Navy.
Starting point is 01:14:01 and also real quick, I want to let you know that I'm the one that sent you that print of the wild boar a while back. And my daughter and I got to meet you in Fort Myers as well. Oh, awesome. I appreciate that. I think I've ever met in my life. Say that again? I heard him. I just wanted to say that again.
Starting point is 01:14:17 The nicest person I think I've ever met in my life. Yeah, thank you very much. Wait, what did you say? Yeah, yeah, said it again. Sorry, you cut out? I did. No, I'm just kidding. You did it.
Starting point is 01:14:27 We're joking. We're joking. You just want to see how many times you would say Bobby's the nicest person you've ever met in your life Because I am pretty nice, you have to admit. Like, I really take pride and treat you. Very nice. And I love the show.
Starting point is 01:14:39 I listen to it every morning. I'm very fortunate. I drive from my job, so I'm able to listen to the whole show all the way until you guys in. So I love to show, listen to it every day. Thanks, Rodney. Let me not make this about me for a second.
Starting point is 01:14:51 Let me make it about you because, again, you served and you allow me to come up here and hire all my friends and do this show. And so I appreciate you. And let me also shout at our listeners because we wouldn't have been able to buy service dogs for a lot of our vets without our listeners that are also really passionate about being awesome to veterans who are awesome for us. So, you know, we as a show try to do as much as we can. We can't possibly do what you deserve, but we do try to constantly be in the mix of trying to repay what we can. And so there are a lot of service dogs out with veterans that we as a show, I don't mean just in this room, people listening.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Like you're part of us, we're able to make that happen. So thank you very much. I feel like I'm part of the show every day. Thank you, Rodney. Well, I appreciate that. Tell your daughter, we say hello, and hopefully we'll talk to you soon, all right, bud? Okay, have a good day. Thanks a lot.

Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. It's almost like the news every day has a new Popeye's chicken sandwich story. And it's not like it's bringing people together either. It's just you put a whole bunch of people together.
Starting point is 01:19:34 Everybody gets irritated for waiting in line. And people just do what people do when they get irritated. It could be a chicken sandwich or a Pog or a PlayStation 7. Right. You know, this is what happens when you put people together and they're all jockeying for a place to get something. It just so happens to be a chicken sandwich. which by the way, I still don't have one. We need that in our life.
Starting point is 01:19:56 And I was going to go today, but they're out near here still. How are they still out? Crazy. I don't get it. A Popeye's worker, body slammed a customer. What? Leaving her with a broken leg and six broken ribs was arrested after it's revealed the altercation happened because she was charged twice for her $13.11 meal. A Popeye's employee has been charged.
Starting point is 01:20:22 with felony aggravated assault after attacking a customer. Staggs, 55, who has a broken leg, nine fractures in her elbow, and six broken ribs, was trying to get a refund after being charged twice
Starting point is 01:20:33 for her $13.10.11-mill. An argument broke out in the restaurant which spilled into the parking lot, which shows her being body slammed. Oh, man. They did the, let's take it outside. Again, if you're waiting for anything and then there's disrespect,
Starting point is 01:20:49 fights happen. It just so happens to have had a trivial chicken sandwich. That everyone wants, though. I know. Because Goober's like us, keep talking about it. We're to blame. I'm to blame for part of the reason this exists.
Starting point is 01:21:03 But it's such a trivial thing as a chicken sandwich. You could probably go home and make a better one. I don't know about that. Not from what I see. But you haven't had it. I know, but people are now tagging us on their Instagram post so we can see them trying it. And it looks so good. It does look good.
Starting point is 01:21:20 Instagram, if you saw the news, last week is going to start hiding the like counts for some users this week. I love the idea of hiding the light counts. You would still see them on your own page, but they wouldn't be publicly out there. I know with younger folks, I'm only going to post things if it gets a lot of likes, and if I don't get a lot of likes, I'm not as cool. So I like the fact that you can almost post freely without worrying about if people are going to like you and it doesn't affect yourself worth at all.
Starting point is 01:21:50 I also like it just in general I mean I don't about once a week I go back and look at the most like things and it's always my dog or people that I'm
Starting point is 01:22:01 if I'm with a girl in a picture it's never of just me it's my page so I will go about once a week and look and just see what people are liking but they're not getting rid of the light counts altogether
Starting point is 01:22:12 users will still be able to see how much I post of theirs is like they just don't have to share or feel judged by it right they can share more freely and it's not not going to be in everyone's and I don't know if they've been done. I wish they would take mine off. I'd be cool with that. But eventually, I mean, it's just a slow rollout. Eventually it's going to be
Starting point is 01:22:28 everybody. They're just testing it. They've tested in other countries. It's just a test. I don't think it ends up being what they do. But I'm over on TikTok anyway. Who cares? Yeah. Who cares? I'm over on TikTok. It looks fun over there. It's the, it's the best content. I can on TikTok and laugh. I'll have my AirPods in, earbuds. I guess I don't have AirPods. I have headphones. I have TikTok. Mr. Bobby Bones on TikTok, too, if you're like 11 and you're listening to this show. Because it's very young. All the kids out there.
Starting point is 01:22:55 It's very young, but it's the funniest place. Instagram 2, Mr. Bobby Bones. Hiding likes. I'm for it. Yeah. I think it's good. Especially, I wish they could target right now. Anybody, I don't know,
Starting point is 01:23:07 that's in school. Anybody that's in school and, like, feels that pressure, hide their likes. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Christopher lives in New Jersey. and his 85-year-old mother lives with him,
Starting point is 01:23:23 and he goes in to wake her up the other morning, and she's gone. Can't find her. So they send out a search party because she has memory problems. Sometimes she gets lost. Can't find her anywhere. Hours go by. Police come out.
Starting point is 01:23:34 Can't find her. Then they get a canine, and they let her sniff the pillow. Go find her. Puppie, go find her. Boom. Mile away in the woods, finds 85-year-old mom.
Starting point is 01:23:44 Wow. I'm smelling the pillow. So crazy. That's crazy. Dogs are awesome. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me's. something good.
Starting point is 01:23:52 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Well, tomorrow morning we will do another draft as we're wrapping up this season. If Morgan number two wins one more, she is the champ and gets the belt. Right now, she's in first, I'm in second, lunchbox is in third, and then everybody else is kind of way back there. Yeah, yeah. Amy, I'll let you pick what we're doing tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:24:21 I've got a few choices here. Okay. We can do TV hosts, fictional characters, or board games. Oh, wow. You can pick Which one would you like to do? Let's go Frictional characters.
Starting point is 01:24:34 Fictional characters. Okay, that'll be tomorrow's draft. We'll do fictional characters tomorrow. That's a lot of people. It's a lot. I like the wide open ones. Yeah, it's very wide open. So we'll do fictional characters tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:24:48 Give me an example of someone you would pick. Homer Simpson. Okay. I did just somebody that came to mind. Yeah. Tom Sawyer. Oh. Oh, he's not, I thought he wrote the book.
Starting point is 01:24:57 No, that's Mark Twain. So that'd be tomorrow, though, when we do the draft. Ooh, I just thought of one. Go ahead. I don't want to say it. Well, then why would you, y'all, just thought of one? Okay, Jason Bourne. Okay, right.
Starting point is 01:25:07 That works. Oh, I see. All that works. All that works. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's true. I didn't think about him. Let's go over to Morgan number two now with the show Skinny.
Starting point is 01:25:17 To catch on what's happened with all of us over the weekend. Here we go. The latest from the Bobby Bones show. Morgan number two is showcast Skinny. Bobby went to Oregon for American Idol filming, and he also met up with his dancing with the stars partner, Sharna. That's right. That's what I was talking about earlier.
Starting point is 01:25:33 Yeah. Where I was going into California to do, I was there for like 12 hours and I hit her up. And I was like, hey, if you're around, let's hang out. And so we did TikTok videos. I put one of them on Instagram where we dance. I haven't danced at all since then. I tell you, I felt like a dweeb. But we hung out for like three hours or so.
Starting point is 01:25:52 It was great. Fun. Yeah, so it was good to see her again. And people were all about it, man. That Instagram video I posted has like, 250,000 views of her. I put something to me, nobody cares. I put her up there and they're like, we love it.
Starting point is 01:26:05 You can see that Mr. Bobby Bones. What else? Amy looked at more houses this weekend and had some good quality family time. They also played some games with her kids and they finished Jack Ryan season two with her husband. You know, I saw your dog, by the way, got spray painted or got painted. Yeah, because we're painting the outside of her house
Starting point is 01:26:23 and she got loose and the painters were in the front and she just went all up in their paint. It's like I'm stuck in her eyelashes and all in her, and I don't really know what to do to get it out. So she's going to stay that way. So she's a black dog with white paint all over it. Yes. All right, what else?
Starting point is 01:26:38 Lunchbox surprised his son and took him out for breakfast for some father-son bonding time. Aw. I heard you brought your sick baby up here to work on Friday. Oh, yeah, for like an hour or so I had to the podcast and he couldn't go to daycare, so I brought him up here and he hung out. So it was ratted to me that lunchbox brought a sick kid up here.
Starting point is 01:26:59 How do you feel about that? I don't know. I feel like as a parent, I know what it's like to be in a desperate situation of you have a job to do and you need to get it done. Yeah, exactly. Maybe you really don't feel like there's anything wrong with your child. But I feel like if daycare is not allowing your baby, then should your baby be around? No. Anybody else?
Starting point is 01:27:17 Because then you run the risk of getting everybody sick, right? I mean, he was good. I mean, it'd been a couple days. and so I was like, you know what, third day of sickness, I think he's fine and brought him up here. I had work to do and I had to get it done. Did you quarantine him? Yeah, yeah, just put him in one room and then. Bobby's all his.
Starting point is 01:27:35 The new rule is no sick kids, no sick animals. If they're sick, you can just stay home with them. You know, you don't have to even come to work if your kid's sick. I don't care. You can stay home and take care of your kids. Even if your dog's really sick, you got to stay home with the dog. Like take care of the you stuff first. I'm very much into that.
Starting point is 01:27:51 Take care of you. If you're good, then you should come to work. And sometimes you're not good if your kids are sick. So great. If your kids are sick, Amy, you need to stay home? Say home. Okay. But yeah, no sick kids up here.
Starting point is 01:28:02 No sick. I don't even want to sick adults up here, by the way. If you guys are sick, don't come up here. Because all you're doing is putting it on the door handles or microphones or other people. Just in the air. Yes. If you're sick, you don't have to come in. I encourage you not to come in.
Starting point is 01:28:16 You're not feeling good? Stay home, boo-boo. All right, cool. What else? Eddie's 11-year-old son had a school play this weekend. He was one of the main characters, and Eddie was a really proud dad because he said his son reminded him of himself when he was a young Thespian. So you were proud of you, basically.
Starting point is 01:28:32 I was well, yeah, I mean, he reminded me of me back in, like, middle school and high school. I too was a Thespian. So I was like, that's my boy, chip off the old block. What play was it? It was one of those newer ones, you know, where they do like fairy tale princesses or whatever and witches. like famous princesses like in Disney movies, but they were witches and he was like friends with the witches and these princes would come out every time they would say
Starting point is 01:28:56 abracadabra. It's a good play. It was good. He had a lot of lines. A couple of people in his play forgot some of the lines and he like nudged him a little bit, so I was proud of him. All right. Morgan, number two, how was your weekend? It was good.
Starting point is 01:29:10 I decorated my whole house Christmas. It was amazing. I messaged Morgan number two. And she's like, I have the whole house is Christmasy and nobody's here. I was like, you've never once. invited me to come over to your house. Oh, you were supposed to have a housewarming party. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:23 And then she was like, we can come over anytime. That's what friends do. I don't even know where you live. Like, how am I supposed to come over? Has anyone been over to Morgan number two's house? No. No, no, no, no, no. Well, Hillary.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Yeah, true. True. Yeah. I'll get on it. It just kind of slipped past me to have a house. But then you were like, nobody comes to my house. We don't know where you live. How are supposed to come up?
Starting point is 01:29:42 We don't know where you live. If you're ever bored, you can come over. We don't know where you live. We just search it out All right, good. Everybody's weekend was good. Yeah. Everybody's weekend was good. Lauren Elena coming up in a bit.
Starting point is 01:29:54 I did to hang out with her on her birthday. We had dinner in California when I was there. So fun. She's only 25. Mm-hmm. Which is crazy because she got famous so young at 16 doing American Idol. And so she had her 25th birthday. And I can talk to her about that a little bit.
Starting point is 01:30:08 But she had a good, it was me and two of her friends, people she works with. It was four of us at dinner. It was good. And so I had a really good weekend. Go! On the Bobby Bones show now. Lauren Elena. She'll be on Dancing with the Stars tonight.
Starting point is 01:30:21 She also just had her 25th birthday. Here she is. Happy birthday, Lauren Elena. Hey. So how was the big birthday for you? It was good. I got to hang out with you. I felt like you got stuck hanging out with me more than got to hang out with me.
Starting point is 01:30:36 I was like, hey. No way. I was like, hey. I said, I'm... I was like, I'm here. And she's like, well, they won't tell me what we're having dinner. because we went to a place that was, I guess one of your favorite places
Starting point is 01:30:46 for American Idol Days? Yes, I used to go there like once a week. And Lauren was asking since I've been out here because I've been so busy. She was asking every waiter if they remembered her. Oh, from way back. From nine years ago. Only one of them did.
Starting point is 01:31:06 Yeah. He did. He did. I was a little different. Yeah. But it was good. We had a good time, huh? It was a compliment.
Starting point is 01:31:11 I used to have like black bangs. You did? I had like, two-toned hair. Remember when that was like a big thing and girls had dark back? I do not. But Amy may...
Starting point is 01:31:27 Well, I did that for a while. Big night tonight, huh? Yes, we make it through. We're in the semifinals. We have to make it through. Yeah, so we're calling on the B team again tonight. You don't even have to watch. I prefer you watch, but you can text and vote.
Starting point is 01:31:41 Lauren's not saying this I am. You can text and vote from anywhere. And, you know, I always tweet out, you can follow me in Mr. Bobby Jones, and I tweet out what to text to. You can text 10 times. and Lauren's got two dances she's doing tonight. How are your ribs?
Starting point is 01:31:52 I'm kind of heel ribs, but I'm so used to them hurting at this point. Any improvement? So we're going to vote for you tonight. You're going to dance two different dances. You're in the top six. Who is your biggest competition, Lauren? At this point I feel, I would say Hannah, James. Yeah, Hannah Bachelorette, Vanderbeek, Dawson's Creek.
Starting point is 01:32:29 Yeah. Both really good. Solid competition. At the start of the show, Lauren was very uncomfortable with the sexier dances. I feel like she's starting to feel a little. sexy now with her dancing. Are you feeling a little better at that? I'm embracing it, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:32:41 You kind of have to. And then it just becomes normal. I remember when I was doing that show, I come back and there's just so much touching that you don't really sign up for, but then you just have to do it. And I would come back and I'll be walking with Amy and I'll just grab Amy's hand and be like, all right, because you just live in that life. And then now... I know
Starting point is 01:32:57 it's so funny. I don't touch anybody anymore. You're back to normal. I've shifted back to normal completely. And so your birthday, when you blew out of the candle. Did you wish for the mirror ball? I can't tell you. It won't come true. There it is. Oh, yeah, a good point. I'm going to tell you, I don't eat carbs that much, but we went, Lauren and I went to a restaurant
Starting point is 01:33:14 and I ordered... Oh, you think it's funny, Lauren I'm about to say? You ate like a little kid. Wait, I ordered lobster ravioli that looked like a six-year-old would have ordered it. And they're all having their fancy dishes and I'm having my lobster ravioteo. It was really good. I ate the whole thing. You did. You enjoyed it.
Starting point is 01:33:32 Yeah, I did. But it was funny. It looked like a kid's dish. It did look like, I might have been the kid's dish too, as a matter of fact. But, okay, well, listen, happy birthday to you. Tonight we'll be voting for you on Dancing with the Stars, and it's boy band and girl group night. So fun. That would be fun, too. Anything else you'd like to say, Lauren?
Starting point is 01:33:50 I don't want to go home. I just really need everybody to vote from me. Okay. And she woke up early, just to talk to us. Yeah, as she does every Monday. She does every. Okay, Lauren. Talk to you soon.
Starting point is 01:34:01 Ruding for you. We'll watch you tonight. Thank you. All right. There she is, Lauren Elena. Vote for her text and vote for her tonight. If anything, just to keep our country girl on. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:10 All those Hollywood types, they're not really feeling as country types on that show. So we got to unite, stand together. And if she makes this, she'll be in the semifinals. The Bobby Bones Show Let me take this call from Mike in Massachusetts who's on the phone That's a pretty interesting question
Starting point is 01:38:09 Hey Mike, what's going on? Hey Bobby, how are you? Morning, studio? Morning! That was pretty cool. So listen, I was actually on my way to work. Maybe I'd call into the studio I didn't think I'd get in, but
Starting point is 01:38:21 I was just wondering, I saw someone texting driving on the highway. I just wanted to get your guys input in regards to what do you guys do when you see someone texting, on the highway, do you honk? I've done it once. Then the other times I don't do anything.
Starting point is 01:38:37 I just don't want to frighten them, you know, even more. And I just wanted to get your input as to what you guys do. So in most states, or a lot of states, it's illegal to text and drive. In our state now, it's illegal to text and drive. Not all, but some. I'm a big don't text and drive guy. I will pull my phone up at stoplights, which I'm not. I'm admitting to send right here.
Starting point is 01:38:57 I do do it. If you see me pull my phone up while I'm stopped, that's on me. I'm trying to get better at it, but what I've done is I pretty much, 98% of the time, don't pick up my phone while I'm in a moving vehicle. If you see someone doing it, Amy, would you tell on them? No. I wouldn't either. You know what I would do is I pick up at a stoplight and I'd hold it up and point out like,
Starting point is 01:39:15 what are you doing? Don't shake it at their face. Like, don't do that. But I don't think it's to the stage where you call and tell on them. Do you? No. Well, listen, here's the thing, though. If someone's drinking and driving, you would call and tell on them and not think twice about it.
Starting point is 01:39:29 You'd be like, that person is straight up. Sipping whiskey. Illegal, though, everywhere. Not texting and driving is not illegal. I know, but they say that texting and driving is just as dangerous as drinking and driving. But drinking and driving, you also, the penalty is so much more severe. Again, if I saw a car swerving that I thought was drinking, it may possible, I would call. They could be texting.
Starting point is 01:39:49 Yeah. I get it. I'm with you. Like, I wouldn't on a text, but I would, like, drinking. If you saw some, the problem is someone could just not be on their phone when it calls. pulls them over and they're like, I didn't text. And maybe they hadn't in the past five minutes. But if someone's drinking, it's probably on their breath and in their system.
Starting point is 01:40:04 True. There's no texting breathalizer. Yeah. So I'm going to say no. Listen, I wish that a car would shut down a soon as you started texting. Like, you want our cars and our phones to be in sync where your car won't start if your phone is not off. It's like if you get busted texting and driving with an accident or something. They put the breathalizer thing in.
Starting point is 01:40:23 You know, I had to blow if you get a DUI. That same thing with the car. You have to put your phone on a thing. And then you can't drive it. You can't work at while. while it's running. No, but no, you don't call. That's a great question, though, Mike.
Starting point is 01:40:34 And I think that a lot of accidents happen because people are on their stupid phones and not looking at the road. And so, but no, the answer is no. All right, thanks, Bobby. Thanks for your time. All right, boy, thank you. A guy in England proposed to his girlfriend
Starting point is 01:40:47 by getting a tattoo that said, will you marry me, and then check the box yes or no. And then she got to check the box with the tattoo gun. Interesting. Cute, huh? That's really cute.
Starting point is 01:40:59 It's quite the commitment. I mean, what if she checks, no? I think you don't do that unless you know, though. Yeah, I know. But, I mean, do you ever really know? And she actually made it put a heart in the box instead of a check. Cute. Yeah, says, yeah, says, will you marry me in the way?
Starting point is 01:41:13 Cute or nah? Cute. I go cute. Nah. I mean, that's just a dumb, dumb way to propose. Oh, that's terrible. And how did you propose again? Well,
Starting point is 01:41:23 I got him. How it is I was on the phone with my wife. We lived in two separate cities, and we were talking about my brother's wedding coming up. We were talking about going and she goes, I think we should get married. And I said, are you serious? She said yes.
Starting point is 01:41:37 And so I said, okay. So her mom, her sister and her went to the ring store, picked out a ring and everything. And then when I went in town for my brother's bachelor party, we went to the ring store and bought it. So you proposed by going okay. Yeah. But I still think that's better than getting a tattoo that says marry me
Starting point is 01:41:55 or will you marry me and then having two boxes. Oh, cute to me. I go cute. You go cute. He goes, nah. Let me take this call from Hub in North Carolina. Is that your name, Hub? Yeah, Hub. What's up, Hub? I saw your text message. So we wanted to get you on the phone. What do you have to say? So, what do you think about Lindsay's new songs? Well, to all of our new listeners, by the way, we haven't dated in two years. It's been about two years now. There is an artist named Lindsay L. She has a new song. It's called I Don't Love You. It's a fantastic song, right? And what do you mean?
Starting point is 01:42:33 What do I think about? I think it's a great song, huh? What are you trying to start some garbage up here for? You're trying to get me in a mood or what? No, man, it's a great song. And I know she wrote about you, so... Listen, I'm not speaking for her in any way whatsoever. Here's a hook of I don't love you.
Starting point is 01:43:13 So there you go. That's the song. She can say whatever she wants to say. I support her art. I think it's a fantastic song. And by the way, congratulations to her. her and Brantley Gilbert have the number one song this week with what happens in a small town.
Starting point is 01:43:26 So a big week for her. Here's this one. Hub, what do you think about all that? I love it, man. I love them both. Yeah, me too, right? I think everybody's rooting for her. That's it.
Starting point is 01:43:41 I hope she does better than anybody expects. All right. Well, appreciate that call. Love to show, man. Thank you, Hub. Appreciate that text. Talk to you soon. Thank you, bye.
Starting point is 01:43:51 All right, bye, bye. I didn't think that was a bad. song about you. I'm saying nothing about this. I love the song. I hope everybody streams it. You want to download it? Great song. It's saying that she misses you, right? Am I missed? All I'm saying is
Starting point is 01:44:07 it's a great song. I'm so confused like why people think that's a bad song. You know, I do want to talk. I think I was trying to get cats going to show you my catfish. I think I was trying to get catfish this weekend by somebody. We can talk about that today or tomorrow. Oh, is that what you just showed me? So you're really communicating, huh? Well, yeah, because with friends, I was like, I think I'm getting catfish.
Starting point is 01:44:25 So I wanted to, like, draw the catfish out. And I was like, that's a lot of text. Yeah, I was going to just kind of read over the whole thing. Okay. Either today or tomorrow we'll get to the cap. Yeah, yeah, because she's hot in this catfish story. But I just don't think it's her. It could be a he.
Starting point is 01:44:38 Yeah, probably is. Yeah, probably is. The Bobby Won't show. I appreciate you guys for hanging out with us all show long. Hopefully today you get a productive day at work. Good night, sleep. Although I was reading about this guy, he has this sleep disorder. that causes him to act out his dreams for this body.
Starting point is 01:44:56 So he's sleeping, but his awake body still does the things that his dreams are doing. For example, he got in his car at 1 a.m. and just went driving. Oh, because he was dreaming. He was driving. Wow. That's safe. He punched his, I thought he was in a fight. No. Punch his wife. Yeah. Yeah, so he's doing these things with his body that he's dreaming.
Starting point is 01:45:17 And so it is a sleep disorder that it's insomnia. sleep apnea. There's a bit of sleep eating involved, and they've given them a, they say a pill to help. Just knock him out. What do you just put them in a different room if you're married to him? Lock him up. Lock him up.
Starting point is 01:45:36 Tie him up. Restraints. Gurney, gurney, arms down. I would ask for that. If I were sleeping, I would want that. Because I would want to get good rest, too. That's what's up. Amy, what's going on today?
Starting point is 01:45:48 My husband has to have some surgery on his face today, so I'm going to be pretty much with him all day. Got to take him to the appointment, wait for it, take him home, make sure he's okay, feed him. Stuff like that. On his face. On his face. Is they knocking him out? I don't think so.
Starting point is 01:46:04 I don't really know. I don't know what to expect. And he's not talking about it much. But I told him that I would be there. He's like, no, no, no, you don't even need to be there. And I'm like, no, this is a big deal. Like, he's got to remove some malanoma and we'll get it done and it'll be fine. But yeah, what about you?
Starting point is 01:46:20 Well, nothing that serious. I got to do my final fitting for CMA Awards on Wednesday where they, since I'm on TV, they make your clothes all fit tight. So I'm going to do that today. I even hate to, it's so trivial. I have a spray tan tonight. Oh, well, I also have a spray tan today. I know, but you should. And I have to get my final shoes for Wednesday because I don't have shoes yet.
Starting point is 01:46:41 But people are like, oh, Amy gets spray tan. That's cool. Good for her. Me, they're like, ha, ha, Bobby's getting spray tan. So after this, I want to work out today. We have, you know, some CMA, like, recording with artists that we're going to be. going to do today too. So appreciate you guys. And tomorrow we'll have a lot of artists on the show because of the CMA Awards. Thank you so much. We will see you on Tuesday show. I'm on Instagram
