Starting point is 00:03:47 If you guys take a guess. How you feel? Let's do this music. I will be going alone on a trip for vacation for a few days. My own version of. of eat, pray, love. Eddie has been eliminated from the competition. You know it?
Starting point is 00:04:06 He knows it. I do. You told him? He knows it? I do. Why? Therefore, I will keep my mouth shut. Why? Because I know it. Why did you decide to do it that way? Interesting. Amy, don't get jelly. He didn't. I didn't tell him. How did he find out?
Starting point is 00:04:24 Somebody else guest. One of my friends was like, are you doing this? And I was like, how in the world? And Eddie was there and I had to. Say yes or no Are you doing this? Okay Time for Something that you're doing One question
Starting point is 00:04:39 One one guess Eat pray love Bobby 2019 Mike did you know I tell you yesterday Is the house Okay Amy guess
Starting point is 00:04:48 Are you doing What Are you doing what Going to Cambodia Is that your guess Yeah I don't have anywhere I know
Starting point is 00:04:57 I'm just mad Cambodia I didn't tell Eddie Eddie was around When someone guessed it He's scared
Starting point is 00:05:02 I'm gonna go to Mexico. You're gonna go to Cambodia? I would probably go to Cambodia before Mexico. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, it's fine. Lunchbox. Yeah, you're going to Croatia. What's wrong with you? I mean, I don't even know where that is.
Starting point is 00:05:17 Give us a hint. I mean, now we're just throwing countries out there. Mike D. I thought you were going to Italy? No, we guessed that. Did you? Well, if you already guessed it, then I, there's no reason for me to comment.
Starting point is 00:05:30 You're going to Italy? Well, if you've already guessed it, why would I come to? We haven't guessed it. I guessed it with you one-on-one. Not Italy. Yeah. It wasn't on air. You even play this game off air.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Which is how Eddie found out. We were playing last year. Morgan number two, do you know, do you want to guess? Ireland. Could be the guess. Who knows? That's not. What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:05:55 I didn't hit the button. It could be. I couldn't hit the ding. Maybe it is. That's why you're now deflecting. Boom. Or do I deflect sometimes to throw you off the next time I want to deflect when it's really interesting. Are you going to visit?
Starting point is 00:06:04 Is it your ancestors? You know, I did that 23 of me, and it was the palest results ever. Yeah, are you Irish? I don't know. I don't know. I know it was like England and England, maybe Ireland, maybe Italy. It was not Italy. Italy had to.
Starting point is 00:06:25 I was all the pale things. And then like a little part of Africa. It was a little bit there. So I will be leaving on my- South Africa? I thought I asked you that, though. Oh. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:06:40 You see the Larry King story, the update from yesterday? This is getting a divorce? Well, it's kind of sad. Oh, no. Larry King's wife doesn't want to go to war with him because doctors have told her he doesn't have long to live. Well, so just write it out. Why go through the stress of divorce? Larry King's wife, Sean, is not going to declare war on her now a strange husband who just filed for divorce because she's been told by the doctors he's dying.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Why is he told? Why is the only she told? Yeah. Yeah, doctors can't tell her that unless he gave consent. Hippelaws. Even if you're married? Even if I'm pretty sure you have to give consent. So maybe he did at some point.
Starting point is 00:07:16 But yeah. Yeah, even if you're married, people like my doctors will call my or my wife will call me like, hey, well, you call your doctor to tell them to tell them to tell me the information because they won't give it to me. Even a wife. Yeah. Interesting. Even our best friend that's our doctor, he's, he won't tell me things about my own family members. I feel like I. kids. My kids, my mom, my dad, my husband, he's done, especially when my mom was going through her stuff. But not your kids. They tell your kids. Yeah, the kids, I think is different. Oh, yeah. Kids, sorry. Yeah. You have to know that stuff. Amy's a nine-year-old son's like, no, she does not need to know.
Starting point is 00:07:51 No, but it was like, they have to take that seriously, even if they're a family friend. And I appreciated that in him, but I'd be like, dude, just tell me, I need to know this something for my mom real quick. He's like, Amy, I can't. I can't. By calling them a dude, it didn't work? Yeah, no. Dude, come on. It didn't work. Dude. Speaking of medicine, a teen has a three-pound hairball removed from stomach. Oh, why? Because they were eating their own hair. Because it's like a thing. Turns out hair is not good for your stomach.
Starting point is 00:08:15 She ended up having a giant hairball like your cats get removed from her stomach. 14-year-old complaining about stomach pain and vomiting. She went to the doctors. They were amazed at the three-pound hairball wedged in her stomach. She was diagnosed with Rapunzel syndrome. Is that a joke? No, it's real. It is?
Starting point is 00:08:31 Rapunzel syndrome? It is real. It's only been reported 60 times. doctors were able to treat her with surgery. She's now in stable condition. What is it that you want to eat your hair? Eat your hair. Really?
Starting point is 00:08:43 Amy, what did you used to eat? No, I'd pull out my hair. I'm getting so much better. I still do it from time to time, but I'm way better at resisting. I'll just pull at it a little bit, but I won't pull it all the way out. Because I was getting a bolt. You just feel that tug? Oh, that's it.
Starting point is 00:08:58 Yes. Because I was getting a bald spot right here. And so my hair person was like, you've got to cut that out. And so, yeah, I've learned to kind of just. Whoa, you almost just pulled your hair right now. But I resisted. I resisted. I pulled it.
Starting point is 00:09:11 My hair right here, there's something about it. Right here. It's only right here. I have less hair. Oh, baby. That's not how it feels. There's nothing. No.
Starting point is 00:09:23 Eddie and I were at my house yesterday and Amy kept trying to face-time me. Yeah, why? Like nine times in a row. Like the first time to pop the cross, I was like, all right, I'll just call it back. Second time, I was like, what's she doing? About the fifth time, I was like, What is happening? Wait, well, why didn't you?
Starting point is 00:09:38 What if it was an emergency? We were working. We were doing a podcast. But emergency? Yeah, we were in a podcast. And I thought you would text me if it was a real emergency. What if I was stuck somewhere and all I had was FaceTime? You could have tried someone else.
Starting point is 00:09:51 What? How would you only have FaceTime if your phone works? I don't know. I'm just shocked that after that many times you didn't answer. We couldn't. We were on the air. What did you need? Well, to be fair, I didn't know that Bobby was called that many times.
Starting point is 00:10:03 It was our son. It was not me. Oh. Your son got a hold of the FaceTime. It was Stevenson. That's funny. And he had a music question. He was practicing his drums.
Starting point is 00:10:12 And he had a question about his music sheet. And he decided he wanted to call Bobby. And what was the question? Do you remember? Bobby, I don't know. I don't know music. But he was really desperate to talk to you. And like his face, I walked back in the room and he looked so sad.
Starting point is 00:10:28 And I'm like, what's wrong with you? I put it on my Instagram. It's probably still up. Radio Amy. And I'm like, what do you? Shut at. Shut out. His face looks so sad.
Starting point is 00:10:38 It was because you weren't answering, and I didn't know he tried to call you a lot. A lot. I remember when I took piano, I was an adult, and I had to learn how to read music. It's hard, man. Yeah. Different language. And as an adult, you got other things to do. You can't just sit around.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Yeah, and it was like upside down. The music notes where they landed on the scale. Can you read music now? If you gave me a week, I could probably hop back into it, okay? But I was so beginner. I took lessons for like a year. Learned a lot of the basics just so I could know enough. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:13 And Amy, your son has a drum set now? No, he practices his drums at the counter. And then when he goes to lessons, he plays her drums. But he's at the counter. Wait till Christmas. Yeah. Uncle Bobby's going to gift him a drum set, a real loud one. Oh, that would be awesome.
Starting point is 00:11:29 What's up? Do it, bones? Why would I not? Remember I told you there's those ones. The electric ones are too expensive. But Bobby was on... Never mind. Bobby works.
Starting point is 00:11:40 You want him to change his dreams, right? He needs a real drum kit. I know. Whatever. I think we should, maybe. I don't know where we would put it, though. Right in the living room. No, not the living room.
Starting point is 00:11:51 In your bedroom. But if he's into it and it could be good for him, then I want it. I want it for him. Oh, yeah. Amy, you have the garage mahal. Yeah, you do. The whole other house. But your dad's not moving into now because he's going into the old folks' residence.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Um, that's what you called it. He's moving into his apartment with other elderly people. Okay, it's the old folks dorm. That'd be awesome. I'd like to live in old folks dorm right now. I just try to make it sound. If they'd be quiet, the food would be great. We'd eat it four.
Starting point is 00:12:17 We'd rock it out. Does he have roommates? Guess what? They gave me a discount because my dad is a feeding tube. I said, I didn't even know if this would work, but I said, hey, I'm sure the rent is like, you know, a lot because you've served three meals a day. And that's included in the price. I said, what if I were to tell you my dad doesn't eat? And they gave me a discount.
Starting point is 00:12:36 She goes, I'm going to write it a knife piece paper. She writes it down. Turn it over. Slides it to them. They're like, all right. Huh. Yeah. Feeding tube.
Starting point is 00:12:46 What the? Yeah. They said, well, we've never had that before. They're like, let us look into it. And they looked into it and they got back to us. And boom, getting a discount. Dave Ramsey. Is that the best prize you can give me?
Starting point is 00:12:59 Nice. That is a thing. That is a thing. You can even negotiate with old folks home. Exactly. apartments for elderly people. Whatever. We know we got a bunch of people going, hey, you made a song about Mimals.
Starting point is 00:13:11 We're about Pappaw's. We are going to release our Pappaw song soon. Just to kind of even it out. Yeah. You know, when you go do yoga, you have to do, if you do one side of the body, you got to the other side of the body equally. And so if we hit Mimals, we got to hit Pappas. We'll exhaust our older folks songs. We'd have a new older folks song coming out real soon.
Starting point is 00:13:30 And we write these because we love them. Mm-hmm. Old folks. Miss them. Of course. Let's see. What was I going to do here? You want to do what's the Haps?
Starting point is 00:13:40 What's happening right now in your life? What you want to talk about? All right. Ramundo, hit us with that new piece. This is a new segment we're thinking about putting on the show. Hit it, Ramundo. Hey, what's the Haps?
Starting point is 00:13:50 What's the Haps, Amy? Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. I'm not ready. My What's the Haps. I had it, but I used it for something else. Oh. I had it with the Haps and I use it in my pile.
Starting point is 00:14:01 Okay, okay. Let's eat. I'll go first. Okay. Hit me again. Hey, what's the hat? Well, what's the hap to me right now is I got a new phone already. I went on because I dropped my phone in the pool.
Starting point is 00:14:14 I had to save my dog. What's happening is I got on and I went to the insurance thing and Apple and I had insurance on my phone. And the night before I was like, boom, they said, turn your iPhone off. I turned it off. And they mill me in a new one like 12 hours. It was my house. Wow, that's awesome. And so I have it in my house and I'm going to take my cloud here and upload it to my other phone.
Starting point is 00:14:33 and I got a new phone. Nice. That's what the Haps is. That phone insurance is money. That's what's my Haps. Lunchbox you're up. Oh. Hey, what's the Haps?
Starting point is 00:14:45 Man, August 28th, can't get here fast enough, guys. War of the World's season two premieres on MTV. That's the challenge, if you don't know what I'm talking about. We didn't. Oh, the trailer is...
Starting point is 00:14:56 I thought it was the World of World's... Yeah, the radio show. Yeah. What? It was like an old radio program. Man, the most controversial radio show of all time. Yeah, because people thought it was real. They thought it was real.
Starting point is 00:15:07 Aliens were coming down. But it was... Orson Wells, the guy that wrote the 84 book? Yeah. 1984? No. That's not him. That's him.
Starting point is 00:15:14 Go ahead. Finish your deal. So, I mean, I can't wait. Set your DVRs, get your popcorn ready. It's going to be amazing. Full of drama. Backstabs, Slat. I mean, it's going to be awesome.
Starting point is 00:15:24 War of the World's August 28th. I'm so confused what you guys are talking about. Tom Cruise is also an award. That's a... Tom Cruise is an Award of World? Oh, that was a later one? The remake, yeah. not the old one. I was like, good God.
Starting point is 00:15:35 Let me make sure we're here. What's up? George Orwell wrote in that 84, not Orson Wells. George Orwell and that's 84, yeah. Good catch though. Same close. Yeah, or and I started questioning myself because I knew it wasn't right. I was like, maybe I'm wrong. George Orwell. George Orwell. Yeah. Orson,
Starting point is 00:15:50 Orwell, I mean, you can see how that's easily mixed up. Definitely can. What's the haps, Amy? Let's go. Well, whoa. Maybe you're so, whoa. Amy, I know it's a new bit. You got to wait for the Amy, what's the haps? Hey!
Starting point is 00:16:05 Hey, what's the haps? Okay, so maybe you've seen that Facebook launched their whole clear history feature, and that's all because what's that, that movie we watched, the documentary? Turnoval. No, the one about the Cambridge. Jackaball trades, baseball cards. No, Cambridge Analytica. What's it called?
Starting point is 00:16:25 Oh, dear Jackery. The Great Hack. That, like, taught you all about this. So Mark Zuckerberg is part of that whole. whole drama was like, hey, we're going to have this whole clear history thing. But actually doesn't clear it for good. It still lives on the Facebook server. So it's still out there. But it'll just be disconnected from individual users' accounts. And that's happening in your life right now?
Starting point is 00:16:46 I was told it was supposed to be news. And if one person did a personal story, you couldn't bring a personal story. And boom, you went personal. So I had to go news. Oh. Did you know that? You can do whatever you want. That's not what I was talking in your life. Did anybody? Does anybody else about his life? Yeah, mine was about my life. Yeah, well, he wasn't listening to the rules. That's why we're testing out the new bit here.
Starting point is 00:17:07 I mean, I got kind of confused. Hey, hey. Hey. Hey. What's the hat? So in a couple of weeks, we are going to go to Kansas for the raging idiots. We're playing. This is not fair.
Starting point is 00:17:18 Wait. He's going personal. I'm not even done yet. We just tell, Amy, this is like, I'm not even done yet, Amy. By the way, we can modify, Amy. I follow the rules. I'm like over here. I'm not done. Bobby busts, I know, but Bobby busted out with a personal story.
Starting point is 00:17:34 I'm over here like, oh, God, I got to find a news story. Okay, we'll come back to you for your personal one. Okay, okay. All right. Eddie, go ahead. I finished mine. I'm ready. So I started looking up foods at the county fair or the state fair, and I found some really good food that I'm looking forward to.
Starting point is 00:17:45 They have a moon pie that they have. It's like meat and cheese, but instead of buns, it's like a moon pie. Wow. Yeah. That sounds amazing. So I'm like looking forward to that. And then now when we, when we tour, like my kids are always like, what are you bringing back? So obviously I'm going to bring that back for them.
Starting point is 00:18:02 You go back food? Every single time I'm good. And by the way, we go for, we do the state fair in Hutchinson. Then we go on a bus overnight to St. Louis. Right. So that food's got to stay good for days. For a refrigerator. In the bus?
Starting point is 00:18:12 Yeah. Amy, don't be mad. We're figuring this out. I'm not mad. I just had a good personal one, but no, it's not even good. I just was ready. I don't like not being prepared. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:18:21 I was told it was something you're looking forward. That's what I was told. It's like something in your world. Whether it's a new story, Amy. As long as it's in your world. It's fine. Well, am I the only one that got the memo that said, hey, we're trying to keep these. Okay, but even then, we've already decided we're moving from them.
Starting point is 00:18:35 Oh, so I know, but I... Amy, mine was news story. It was released by MTV. It was a news story. And in his life. It was a combo mix. And mine is fair food. Yeah, it's made fair.
Starting point is 00:18:46 It's whatever's happening in your world. Okay. That's the only rule now. We've modified it. So don't have to stress about news. Whatever's happening in your world. Okay, so what's the haves? Hey.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Hey. And that's how we go to the next one. Hey. What's the hash? Well, I got busted cheat reading to Stevenson, and it's really putting a damper on my nights because I read to him every night, and I normally skip sentences or paragraphs because I can because he couldn't really read that well. And it would help us get through chapters in the book a lot faster and be like, okay, buddy,
Starting point is 00:19:18 time to go to bed. And now that he knows words, he can tell when I'm skipping things. And he's like, Mom, you missed that. And I'm like, oh, gosh. No, I skipped that. You look. Yeah. So I have to go back.
Starting point is 00:19:28 And I'm like, other parents do this, right? I'm not the only one. I'm going to tell you. I'm feeling the segment. I know we had a little issue here, but I kind of like where it's going. But still something you're kind of looking forward to. Like, you've got a new phone. But it's in the world.
Starting point is 00:19:38 It doesn't have to be what you're looking forward to you. It's what the haps. Like, I'm not looking. What's the haps? Which means what's happening? What's happening? Like in the 60s, they'd be like, what's the haves? That means what's happening.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Right. Right. Like, I'm not looking forward to reading anymore. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's what the haps. All right. Hold on. One more.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Hey. What's the haps? Morgan number two, what's the haps? I finished binge watching Mind Hunter season two. And I'm really sad because there's not a season three confirmed. Now I have to wait potentially like two years. But all of the cast did sign on for three more seasons. So there's potentially more.
Starting point is 00:20:18 Yes. Is it really good? I'm three episodes in. Yeah. And it ends with something with BTK. It's not a spoiler. It just ends with something with BTK. That leaves you totally hanging.
Starting point is 00:20:28 I love that song. B, bump, bump, bump, bump. Remember the song? Dun, bum, bum, bum. Wait, B2K. Bump, bump, bump. I know what you're talking about. Bump, bump, bump.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Backe you go bump. Ray, will you pull up that song? He's still got what's the haps going. Oh, we're still in what's the haps. Don't make him two buttons at long. Oh, hey. Don't pick your nose. I got you.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Raised on camera. Go on elbow deep in his nose. Okay. the haps, we transition it with a, Ray hits the clip, and then we go, something in your world. But also in this segment, can you all help me with something? Go ahead. For what's the haps?
Starting point is 00:21:06 This will end up making the big league, which is the show. Okay. I do like it. We go around the room fast and something in your world. It can be a new story. Like lunchbox was the MTV story, but it's about what he likes. Yeah. Should I add some audio from that on. You don't have to. What's up? Okay, so I guess I can't say what yet, but I'm having to fill out this question thing.
Starting point is 00:21:23 So what's the haps for me is I'm not very good at answering what my hobbies are. Go ahead. What are my hobbies? Your hobbies are... I love to go hiking. Well, why do you ask? I should get the whole list.
Starting point is 00:21:35 Okay, go ahead. Then put it hiking. I have hiking and yoga, but that's it. I need more hobbies. I used to pay. How often do you hike? Spending time with my kids. That's a hobby.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Yeah. Volunteering. I thought that was life. So you can still enjoy doing it. My kids. Volunteering at my kids' orphanage. You enjoy that. Health, health and fitness.
Starting point is 00:21:57 Hanging out with my friend Bobby because he's so cute. Roller blade. Hanging out. I will. I'll put it. Is this supposed to be stuff you actually do? With my single friend, Bobby. Single, boom.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Single and ready to mingle from Bobby. Instagram link below. All of you. Girls reading this. Boom. Now we're talking. What's that for, Amy? She can't say yet.
Starting point is 00:22:20 I'm going to say this, what she was going to do. Amy was going to come on here and talk about this thing. She's getting like an award. It's not an award. Okay, I don't know what it is. She's being celebrated. You've gotten this award before. Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:30 She's being celebrated. And she wanted to come on and talk about it. I was like, hold off. They may take you out. I didn't know it wasn't like announced or whatever. Like a thing. I didn't know. Oh, you're people's influential people?
Starting point is 00:22:41 Boom. No. But I didn't know it was a thing. Hit it, Ramundo. Here it is, boys and girls. Remember this song? Oh, yeah. Goes.
Starting point is 00:22:49 Go. B2K. The B2K killers. Yeah. Is that the band in? B2K. Yeah, but it's BTK. Oh,
Starting point is 00:22:58 see, I held this joke for so long. Oh, okay. It's not B2K, it's B2K. Thank you. Thank you, Morgan, ever, too. Those are my hobbies? Thank you. I wondered if in the documentary
Starting point is 00:23:10 he ever got to write again and recording this song, but it must be after, like, season three or four. Maybe, maybe. What, Amy? Is that enough hobbies? Yeah. What else do you like to do?
Starting point is 00:23:20 I don't know. I wish I was someone that was like, oh, gardening. But, I mean, I'm not. Put it down. I mean, they're not going to cover now. I had a garden once. Once, like six years ago.
Starting point is 00:23:30 But I had a garden once. I really missed wishing I gardened. I like, I also, I like to, my, one of my hobbies is starting hobbies. Oh, that's true too. And quitting them. Doctors find a twin growing inside a 17-year-old girl, her twin. The twin is growing inside of the girl? Yeah, they found a girl.
Starting point is 00:23:51 She had severe stomach pain. She was also growing a lump in her stomach. The doctors realized was her malformed. twin. Wow. 17, been there that long. She's not alive. The twin? No, Eddie. She's not alive. I don't know. I'm just asking questions. You know, a 17 year old living inside that 17 year old? That's so scary. That's what I thought you know. Yeah, and that crazy. First time a girl that old had been found with her twin and her. Wow. A company has created the ultimate bed. It's a Netflix and showbed with a 70 inch built-in screen. Oh my gosh. So the screen comes up on the back of the bed. I was watching the
Starting point is 00:24:25 news, I think a girl here in town on the national local news, and she was like, hey, you get this dog. I guess she didn't realize what Netflix and Chill means, really. Which it means to come over and hook up. But she was like, and you can adopt this dog? And he's great for like Netflix and Chill. Oh, that's

Thanks for listening to the show. I got a couple of meetings. to go meet our boss. I'm coming. Hey, Raymond does ride out there still?
Starting point is 00:24:58 Yep. Hey. I'll come out there. I'm good. We're done anyway. I gotta stop him. Our, he's like Batman. Our boss is like that. You might see him. With a Bluetooth ear piece. He's like, I got a conference call. I'll see you. He's gone. Like Batman. Yeah. He'd be like walking down the halls and he'll be like, it's really important. I'll be like, what's that? He's like, he points to his ear. Not talking to you. Conference call. I mean, I've been leaving work and he's standing on the street corner on the phone meetings. I'm like, dude, you have an office. You put, you know how, when he answers, can you hear me?
Starting point is 00:25:31 Yeah, I think he can hear you. Do you know what he answers to when they put the Bluetooth sign? No, he can't hear you. It's low. They put the Bluetooth sign in the sky. Is that a Batman? Oh, yes. He's like, oh, that's for me. I got to get on my call. I'll be right back. I'll take that. I'll be right back, guys. All right. We're gone. Check out Amy's podcast. Except for I can't believe I didn't get umbrella. That was hard though, Amy. I know, but now when he says it, it's like, okay. It makes sense. You're like, oh, I know. I know. All right, welcome to the show. Cody Allen will be in today, so that'll be fun. That'll be next hour. Cody Allen from CMT, a good friend of mine, and he's just a good dude. We'll talk about a lot of the country stars that he gets to hang out with.
Starting point is 00:34:15 We'll do Jason Aldine Rearview Town now on the Bobby Bone Show. The Bobby Bone Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? In Florida, off the coast of Jacksonville, they're still searching for those two missing firefighters who are on a fishing trip. They've been missing for almost a week now.
Starting point is 00:34:33 In California, police stopped a potential shooting at a home. hotel cops arrested the hotel cook who had stockpiled guns and was planning an attack luckily they stopped him before he did and finally near new orleans a five-year-old boy unknowingly brought drugs to kindergarten luckily none of the kids took the drugs the parents have been arrested back to you bones all right that's the news coming up amy thinks she was kind of in the right but i think maybe she should have been put in jail for the next thing you talk about yeah i think they should have put you in the big house just to teach you a lesson okay we'll talk about that coming up next
Starting point is 00:35:06 Bones. The Bobby Bones show. What happened to you yesterday? So I was in the gas station parking lot, and I was reversing out of a spot in the parking lot. And I hear like a honk, and then I look over, and it's a police officer. And I rolled down my window, and I'm thinking, something wrong with my car or what. And he said, you might want to buckle up if you're going somewhere.
Starting point is 00:35:32 And I was like, I'm buckling up. I'm going to buckle up. I promise I'm going to buckle up, but I had just put my car reverse. I hadn't buckled up yet because I was still in my parking spot, sort of. Was the car moving? Yes, it was in reverse. You were in the wrong. I know, I know.
Starting point is 00:35:47 But I was like, oh, no, I was, I'm in a buckle, don't worry. And he said, you should buckle up before that car even hits reverse or drive. And I was like, okay, yes, sir. Good thing he didn't tick at you. Right. I mean, I guess he could have, but how lame if I would have got him. Were you breaking in the table? Don't be telling the law.
Starting point is 00:36:04 You ever looked in the eyes of the law and told him it's lame? No, I didn't. Don't do it behind the law. I said, yes, sir. Yeah. And I showed respect. But then I, uh, and then I was kind of bummed Stevenson wasn't with me because he would have loved that encounter.
Starting point is 00:36:16 And he would roll down his window and be like, you're right. I always tell mom, mom, the car's moving. You're not buckled. Yeah. I was, and we can't be on our phones driving here anymore. Right. You can't even hold it in your hand. And I was sitting in a light yesterday.
Starting point is 00:36:29 And there was this guy next to me who was texting away. And I grabbed my phone. phone was going to take a picture of him and then I thought oh I'm also breaking the law by taking a picture of him breaking the law so I didn't get it right I was going to get it and be like citizens arrest on Instagram but I didn't do it they put out that list of states that were the most rude I can't believe Arkansas was number two on the list what you think well New York was number one that makes sense because the city because the New York City right yeah not the state the whole state like up like upstate New York's awesome they're super nice but Arkansas was the number two the friendliest
Starting point is 00:37:09 state is Minnesota. And then Tennessee's at number two friendly. And Texas is at number four. Oh, good. So like Arkansas, I don't even know what's wrong. Weird. I don't know. I guess I got to get back. Yeah. I got to shift that up when I'm about to run. On this day in country music, here we go. The Bobby Bones Show on this day in country music. Today in 1997, that's what we'll talk about. Where were you in 1997, Amy? A junior in high school. 22 years ago, you were a junior in high school. You don't like going to say it like that? No. On this day in 1997, Kenny Chesney Lance's first number one ever with She's Got It All.
Starting point is 00:37:46 The song was written by Craig Wiseman and Drew Womack. It was released as the first single from Kenny's 1997 album, I Will Stand, which was his fourth album, by the way, three albums, no number ones. Wow. Chesney had already released six singles before this song came out. None of them went number one. He came close when he put out When I Close My Eyes, which went to number two. but not number one.
Starting point is 00:38:14 And here is when I close my eyes. I remember that one. Kenny now has 30 number one songs. Sold over 30 million albums worldwide. But it didn't come that easy to Kenny. Again, he put out six songs and none of them hit until I guess that sixth one hit number two and then didn't get a number one song until after that.
Starting point is 00:38:35 And that's Kenny Chesney, number one for the first time on this day in 1997. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 32nd Skinny. Old Dominion, we're on the, TV show Songland last night and chose one of the songs to record for themselves. It's called Young. Here it is. To Shea of Dan and Shea and his wife Hannah, they announced they're expecting another baby and it's a boy. Drake White was hospitalized after a near collapse on stage during a show recently. He just revealed that he has a debilitating brain condition called AVM. He has known since
Starting point is 00:39:24 January of this year, but hopes Sherry now will help others. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. There's this seventh grader named Diesel. He made $15,000 selling livestock at the local fair. And he said, I want to do something good with that $15,000.
Starting point is 00:39:48 And he donated all to the hospital. How old is that kid? Seventh grade. That's crazy. And his name's Diesel. Diesel Piper. A contributing factor to how cool this kid is. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Yeah. So what's you when at showing? Yeah, I'm doing livestock. $15,000. all to St. Jude. That is what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bones Show.
Starting point is 00:40:10 Hey, coming up, Cody Allen, who you may know from CMT or from the Cody Allen Radio show. It's a friend of mine. He is what country music is all about. So he's going to be in studio. We'll even do a little draft with Cody Allen. Okay. We love drafts, right? And I'm going to take part of this one.
Starting point is 00:40:24 I know I'm banned from the other one later today, but I'm going to hop in this one because there's no point that we get awarded. Cody Allen coming in next. Bobby Bones show Bonehead This story comes us from Houston, Texas. A man got pulled over driving a stolen car, but he fled from police. They couldn't find him anywhere. They searched the vehicle, found his driver's license sitting on the driver's seat.
Starting point is 00:40:50 Oh. Wow. Huh. I was not expecting that. I guess they knew who he was right then and there. I thought maybe they'd find, like, footprints through the woods. No, he left his driver's license in a seat. Yeah, they chased him, but couldn't find them.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Go back to the car. There's the driver's license, so they'll be able to find them really easy. There you have it. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day. Starting point is 00:44:47 On the Bobby Bones show now. Cody Allen. What's the first country song that you remember hearing as a kid? Let's see here. I grew up every morning my mom made breakfast. And so I remember her playing country music every single morning. And she would play. And I remember Dolly Parton, you know, being one of those artists.
Starting point is 00:45:08 And I would say maybe islands in the stream, Dolly and Kinney. When you hear this, does it remind you of childhood? It does. It also reminds me like the smell of like eggs cooking and bacon sizzling in the kitchen. I know it sounds cheesy, but it's true. For me, because it's funny you mentioned like the cooking and those memories that come back with music. John Anderson swinging to me, my grandmother, and she adopted me for a while and raised me. I remember hearing John Anderson swinging.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Really? And that, and I never really thought about it so much until now, but I think that's the first country song that I had heard. Yeah, you know this one, Eddie? Oh, yeah, man. I heard the swing, Eddie. Yeah. I remember this one well, too. What was her name?
Starting point is 00:45:50 A little Charlotte? Eating chocolate pie? Eating chocolate pie, yeah. This is jam back in. You remember your first country concert? ever? Yeah, I think it was the judge. I remember going, do you remember Linda Ronstadt?
Starting point is 00:46:06 Yeah, yeah. She was really a pop artist, pop rock artist. I remember going to her concert. That was like the first arena show, and my dad took me. He was a huge music fan. So I remember growing up in the house with lots of music playing all the time. But I went to see the judge at the state fair in South Carolina. That was probably my first country show.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Do you have to deal with because both of us, we have friends that are also artists, and we know things about them and we can't really address it even though we would like to talk about it. Like secret, do you ever have a secret and you're like, oh man, I can't say this about you? And then eventually it comes out and you're like, oh, like what's the biggest secret you kind of had to keep?
Starting point is 00:46:40 About an artist? Yeah, like what's the biggest secret you've had to keep? Like, maybe. Well, I think we all know what my biggest secret was for the longest time. Oh, about you? Yeah, yeah. But about an artist,
Starting point is 00:46:50 yeah, I don't know that I've had one of those. I think that when I came out to Keith Urban, was probably one of those moments that I'll never forget. You came out to Keith Urban? I did. On camera? No. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:47:05 It was after I did an interview with him. And, you know, again, he's a nicest guy in the world. Super sweet. He always is concerned about you. And he asks, how you doing? And I think I said something along the lines of like, oh, I've been struggling with a few things, been working out a few things in my life.
Starting point is 00:47:17 And he said, what do you mean? And at that moment, I had not planned to see a word to him about being gay, but he immediately, I immediately said it. I said, I'm gay. I'm trying to figure out what to do with that and how to deal with it and how to evolve my life so I can, you know, be who I am. What was that like for you to come out as gay in the country music landscape? For me, I thought it was awesome. And I was like, dude, like, I'm here for you. Yeah, I appreciate it. But, like, what was that like, I guess pre coming out publicly and then post?
Starting point is 00:47:50 From what I do, no difference because I didn't change any of the things that I, you know, in either ways I, like, interview, any of the ways I do my shows, nothing changed there. People wouldn't know the difference. But I do think I changed in the sense that I became a lot more comfortable with myself. Stop second-guessing things that I said. When you go through life and you're thinking people think something about you, and you know something about yourself that they don't, you want to let that vulnerability out. You want to not be ashamed of it anymore. I think I carried that around for a long time. So getting to the point where I felt comfortable just letting that go, you know, rocks in my backpack.
Starting point is 00:48:28 I've heard people compare. Like, you get those rocks out of the backpack. Life is easier. You can carry on a lot easier. So from that standpoint, I think I got better. Were you worried that there would be some pushback? Yeah, for sure. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:48:42 I thought it would be 60-40, you know, negative to positive. And it was 1090. You know, it was like, you know, I only got a little bit of pushback. And most people said really wonderful, nice. things. So, um, because most people just want people to live their lives and be happy. Truly, right? Like, just think about how we feel about things. We generally just want people to live their lives and be happy and you're not hurting kids or animals. Like, rock it. Like,
Starting point is 00:49:07 do your deal. Right. Yeah, I think that's absolutely true. And I think people bond with you, and you guys know this from doing your show, is that when they feel like you're a human, you have emotions, there's a connection that happens. And I think that one-on-one and it becomes a lot easier when you let down all the walls. Cody Allen is here from CMT. Hang out for one more segment? Sure. All right, we're going to come back with Cody Allen.
Starting point is 00:49:31 I want to ask you who you have on your phone that's cool. Okay. And then I want to ask you about clothes. Okay. Something that I struggle with a bit. All right, we'll come back with Cody Allen. Get some Bobby Bones on. Bobby Bones show now.
Starting point is 00:49:44 Cody Allen. Cody Allen from CMT is here. You have to wear a lot of different clothes on TV. My first question is, do they give you a budget to buy your clothes? You know, there's, yeah, they give me clothes. A budget or clothes? They don't give me a budget. Someone buys clothes and says, hey, do you like this, do you like that?
Starting point is 00:50:02 And then I just pick out what I like and wear that. You're a fit guy. What size pants do you wear? Probably, I mean, if you want to get exact, it's probably like a, it used to be a 30. I'm at a 31 right now. Don't judge me. Oh, guys. Don't judge me.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Bobby's judging. What are you, Bobby? 20, 38. 28? Stop it. Stop it. Yeah, so like a 31.30 maybe. Will you wear an outfit again if it's on TV?
Starting point is 00:50:30 No. But I will in real life. Okay. Will you wear an outfit again if it's on Instagram? Oh, yes, absolutely. I just wouldn't, I wait to post it. There might be some distance between the posts. Right?
Starting point is 00:50:44 Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, that's fair. How big is your closet? It's pretty big. Yeah. There's a lot of stuff in there. And it's divided into two, like, closets. Why, too? TV clothes and normal clothes?
Starting point is 00:50:55 Well, you know, my partner's got a ton of clothes, too, so... Oh, but you're both sharing a closet. Gay dudes, we have, like, we've got to have space. Well, I live by myself, I guess it doesn't make sense to me. I have everything just in my closet. I was like, if you share a closet? What kind of crazy person would do that? Your best country music impression? Do you have one of those?
Starting point is 00:51:12 Let's see here. Probably Luke Bryan. Yeah. I mean, everybody's probably got Luke Brian at this point, don't they? On American Idol? Bobby's going to be on American Idol. going to Hollywood That's pretty good What do you think?
Starting point is 00:51:25 What do you think, Katie? That's pretty good Eddie, who's yours? I mean, it's Luke, Eric Church. I like Eric Church too. Like, hey, Cody, how you doing? You're doing it right? I want to hear your Luke though now.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Oh, my Luke is perfect. Perfect. See, Bobby is the perfect guy for American Idol because he's one American and he is a mentor. Right? No, it's perfect.
Starting point is 00:51:49 That is good. It is a good. going to. Oh, dude. Well, it's got to be a right time in the morning and be like, dude. Dude. So, like, I heard you guys on the radio, dude. Like, what's the deal, dude? Like, y'all totally bashing me, dude. That's really good. Thanks, man. That's also what Jake says to us. He's also quoting him up. Who's the coolest person you have on your phone? Keith, probably. I still can't even believe I have his number. It's weird. You know,
Starting point is 00:52:15 this whole thing is weird. It's surreal to me most of the time. Because I don't feel like I'm just, a normal guy. I literally drove, we have a clunker car in our family. Like I gave it to my daughter first, she drove it, and then my son drove it for, you know, a couple of years. Because I don't think teenagers should have like a, you know, a great car to begin with. He wants them to have a clunker. And so I drove that today because my car's in the shop, and it's been in the shop for about a month now. So I, the point is, I don't take myself too seriously, and I don't think that I care around a lot of pride. I just, I don't. So, what was your question? Keith Irvin's in your phone.
Starting point is 00:52:51 Okay, so having Keith in my phone is... I mean, what is this life? I really feel that way. Listen, you know, I'm a big fan. I'm so grateful that you came in. Thank you. Thanks for having me. For a while.
Starting point is 00:53:02 You have great teeth. Thank you. You have a great presence about you. You're very pleasant to be around. You're a good dude. I think we've kind of been working around and with each other for about almost seven years now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:53:12 So you're the only dude that doesn't want to fistfight me to my face yet. Well, congratulations on everything here and making all of this happen. We've watched it all and it's such an honor to be here, so thank you. I don't know what this guy is here. What is this? That's MC Hammer. I've seen this on your... On the answer story.
Starting point is 00:53:27 Yeah. I don't know what's up with this. Well, a listener gave me that and it was in a box. I didn't know it was a collector's item worth a decent amount of money. That's right. And so I just ripped it out of the box. I was like, here's my toy I'm going to play with. Hammer time.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Didn't know that that was the deal there. But I'm glad you can, thank you for coming in. Of course. Thank you. Any song you're feeling right now? What song are you feeling right now? It's a tough question to put you on the spot with. I mean, can you get any better than Luke Combs?
Starting point is 00:53:53 Beer Never Broke my heart right now. I mean, it is a smash. And I love that song. Then we'll play it right now. Do, because you're a way better radio guy than I am. I don't know what that means, but. You talk better. I don't have a good speech pattern.
Starting point is 00:54:04 I can't say words. I stumble on everything. Stop. So if you were to set up the Luke Coat. See, I can't even say set up. Let's do Luke Combs beer, never broke my heart. But do it like you're doing our show. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:54:17 Okay. Well, I'm so excited. A beer never broke my heart. Big, huge number one hit for Luke Combs right here on the Bobby Bone Show. There it is. Yeah, we got it. There's Cody Allen, everybody. Here's a beer never broke with my heart. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

So Planters is now selling a container of just the cheese powder that's on top of their cheeseballs. Planners makes cheese balls?
Starting point is 00:58:14 Yeah, they're like the big old container of cheese balls. I've seen so many cheese balls. my grandma. Right. Really? And it's like the Pringle's top of the lid. It's like the plastic. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:26 There's a jug, right? The town on those things. So they discontinued cheese balls back in, I keep putting the Z on the balls, but really it's the Z on the cheese. Okay. Back in 2006, they discontinued those. But brought them back last year and then discontinued them again. So now they want to put out a container of the cheese powder.
Starting point is 00:58:47 But it's like as part of. employee to talk about how they're going to bring back cheese balls for good. You can't buy the powder though, but you can win it. You just go to at Mr. Peanut. That's who makes it. Tell them what food you want to sprinkle the cheese dust on and you could win it. What is that one food you look back and go, I can't believe I used to eat that all the time. Because cheese balls for me all the time. My grandmother that I would sit down and eat cheese balls and just watch wrestling. Yeah. Cheese balls and pork rinds. Oh, I still eat those. And I still love them. And every great once in a while, Because I love the gas station shop.
Starting point is 00:59:20 Yeah. I'll get pork rinds. Good stuff, man. But what's the one food you look back and go, I probably had a little too much of that? Oh, I used to eat marshmallows out of the bag because they were fat-free. You know, I thought, I'm fat-free.
Starting point is 00:59:34 So, I mean, in like junior high in high school, I thought that that was okay. And I just, out of the bag, I just eat marshmallows. You know how much sugar that is? Just might as well be straight fat. If you think about it in calories because of all that sugar. It's like Mountain Dew for me, too. I used to drink a three-liter a day.
Starting point is 00:59:46 At least a three-liter a day. Yeah. I'd be like, who cares? It's awesome. Stuff tastes awesome. I love the burn. I told you the night I woke up and opened up a small cans of Sprite in my house. Because for my birthday, which was in April, one of my friends brought me all the ingredients to make my own Shirley Temples.
Starting point is 01:00:04 So she brought me the grenadine. The Grenadine and the 7-Up and the cherries. I had to put in it. And I never had this. I don't drink much soda, but I woke up and I was craving it hard. And I had like half of it. And I was like, oh, that's the spot. I got me hit.
Starting point is 01:00:18 And then you were good. Dump the rest out and that was good. Eddie, anything for you? I think all through high school it was pizza, Hawaiian punch, and twix. So still the same for you. Yeah. So, yeah. What I had yesterday.
Starting point is 01:00:29 Lunchbox? They were the chocolate and peanut butter bars. I used to... Nutter butter? No, but they were at the school checkout. And they were just in a clear plastic little bag. And I don't even know what they're... They were kind of like Star Crunch, but they were in the long version.
Starting point is 01:00:43 Oh, so good. I used to eat a whole box, Star Crunch. I... And oatmeal pies. Those little Debbie. Little Debbie, anything she made, like, and my mom would just buy that stuff. A box a day. And she, I didn't even have to ask permission.
Starting point is 01:00:53 What was my mom thinking? They didn't know. The education wasn't there at how processed food was affecting us. That's right. That was really the case. Yeah. Wow. So, what else you got to do?
Starting point is 01:01:03 Don't blame it on your mom, maybe. It's okay. I know. So do you type faster on your computer or your phone? My computer, because I can use both hands and I've been on my computer longer. I would imagine if you're like 14, you're probably better on your phone. Yeah. People under 35 are at least.
Starting point is 01:01:17 20 times more likely to say that they're better on their phone. And then people in our wheelhouse, yeah. And then especially people 55 and up, it's all computer. Morgan number two, you're 25. You faster on your phone or computer? Computer. You do work on your computer every day. That's because she's on, yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:33 And you get both hands on the computer. But again, if you grow up when you're 16 and you really didn't spend a lot of time on a laptop and you're only on your phone, I could see how you could fly. I guess you could do both thumbs. That thumb, there's going to be some thumb carpal tunnel situations.
Starting point is 01:01:47 and Tech's neck for these kids. Like four generations from now, if the world still even exists, our environment, everybody just crapping on it. People are going to walk out with humps in their neck because it's going to get passed down through generation.
Starting point is 01:01:59 Yeah. What else, Amy? So it's all this on Reddit, Bobby, your favorite place to go. Are you just waiting to say that because you know I'm on Reddit all the time? Yeah, because, you know, starting to go over there a little bit.
Starting point is 01:02:08 You say how awesome it is. Well, it can be awesome for anybody. There's basically something for everyone on Reddit. And this is for me. Okay. A possessive mother-in-law bought a new wedding base. for her son because she didn't like the one that, you know, his fiance and him had made for him.
Starting point is 01:02:23 And she says the ring is more his style. So there's this whole thread of people like freaking out that like he needs to get his mom out of his life. She's too much involved. And like, what would you do if you were the fiancee? I think that mom needs to know her role, right? Yeah, for sure. That being said. She goes, she came and she's like, here, I had you this made as your wedding band because this is more your style.
Starting point is 01:02:43 Let me say this. And not to stick up for the mother-in-law. but more so that fiance knows what she's getting herself into that mother-in-law just doesn't go crazy one day she knows if she's marrying that dude she's gonna have do with that her whole life so I don't think she's totally shocked
Starting point is 01:02:58 by how she's acting because I'm sure people that act crazy are usually acting crazy before that one time not cool wouldn't like it would have to have a conversation with Miss Crazy but she probably isn't surprised by it and also mother-in-law know your lane
Starting point is 01:03:12 your lane is not to buy your husband your son is engagement ring yeah it's their life Perfect. Is that it, Amy? If you're listening, know your lane. No, your lane. Well.
Starting point is 01:03:20 That's just an important thing to keep in mind of, for all of us. So think of our lanes and know them. Because sometimes we can act, maybe not just like this, what she's doing. Sometimes we can be out of our lane. Is this a sub-tweet toward me? No. Okay. You're not, you're in your lane pretty much.
Starting point is 01:03:37 I live in all lanes. Yeah, you turn my blinker on. This lane, that lane. Well, I like what you. you dabble in my lane, you help me. Yeah, I tell you want to slap me. Thank you. Is that it? Okay, yeah, it's my pile.
Starting point is 01:03:53 What if I ever wanted to slap you? I don't know exactly when. You tell me. Okay. I don't know that I've ever given off the vibe that I want to slap you. You ever thought about it, Amy? I don't mean physically. Oh, oh, oh. Okay, strangle me.
Starting point is 01:04:08 Oh, okay, but there you go. But not physically. Not physically. Not physically. All right, there you go. That's pile. Thank you. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:04:16 Tell Me Something Good. This teenage girl did something to raise money for charity that I've never heard of anyone doing before. I mean, I've done something similar, but on a much, much, much, much, much smaller scale. But when I tell you this, you're going to be like, that's humanly possible and a teenage girl did it. We'll talk about that. All those crazy details up next. Tell me something good. Next on the Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 01:04:39 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Angel Moore has been swimming. for 10 years, and she recently challenged herself to finish her longest-ever distance water swim. So the 16-year-old from California just completed the feet swimming 28.5 miles around Manhattan, New York, and it was all for a good cause. She swam almost 30 miles. That's crazy. Her nine-hour swim also included the 20 bridges challenge, where she passes under 20 bridges
Starting point is 01:05:12 around Manhattan. She raised $58,000 for the nonprofit Children International, which benefits kids in poverty. She said the most challenging part isn't the distance. It's the heat. And you would think in water, that wouldn't be the case. Right. But she's, listen, I swam a, I swam a mile. A mile. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:05:31 And I was like, I don't see how people will do this. This is crazy. It's hard. She swam longer than a marathon. That's insane. So congratulations to her, good for her and good on her. Angel Moore. That's what Tell Me Something Good is all about.
Starting point is 01:05:45 That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 30 Second Skinny. Old Dominion were on the TV show Songland last night and chose one of the songs to record for themselves. It's called Young. Here it is. Baby, I just want to be young.
Starting point is 01:06:08 I was watching Old Dominion's Instagram story last night, and they had put this up. I didn't get to see it last night, but it's pretty cool song. I saw it, and that show's pretty good. They put out some good songs in that show. Yeah. What else you got over there?
Starting point is 01:06:19 Congratulations to Shea of Dan and Shea and his wife Hannah. they announced they're expecting another baby and it's a boy. Oh, good for them. Yeah. That's two boys. Is there other baby a boy? Yes. Yeah, two boys.
Starting point is 01:06:31 Mm-hmm. They're all going to be great singing groups. Yeah, what else? And then Drake White was hospitalized after a near collapse on stage during a show, and he just revealed that he has a debilitating brain condition called AVM, and he's known since January, but he hopes sharing now is going to help some others. Eddie brought this up in the studio yesterday. I like Drake White.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Good dude. I don't know what AVM is, though. Did you research that at all? It's just said that his arteries and his brains, his brain were all tangled up, and that's kind of basically what it is. Ooh, that brain. Yeah. Brain and heart and spinal cord and long.
Starting point is 01:07:07 You just go down all the body. It is all important stuff. It's all important. All right. We're rooting for him. Morgan number two. Is that it? Yep.
Starting point is 01:07:13 I'm Morgan number two. That's the skin. Bobby Bones. Yes. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me. I got a pretty good hour because coming up in a minute, we will get to our fantasy draft where the draft will be cereals.
Starting point is 01:07:38 And Eddie has the first overall pick. I do. Now, since I finished last, I don't get to play in this one. But I was thinking about this last night because I'm into it. I might go. Are you going to give some away now? I'm not even playing. I mean, maybe he'll give us ideas, Andy.
Starting point is 01:07:52 I often do this anyway. Maybe go fruit loops first. You have that. But that's not what I'm going with. I'm just saying, fruit looks is pretty strong. Sure. Do you want to tip us off? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:02 First overall pick? What are you going to go with? It's named after another kind of breakfast item. Think about that. Cinnamon, cinnamon, cinnamon, toast crunch. Possibly? Cinnamon roll. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:08:16 That's a solid pick, though. That's what you do. That's a good pick. I ain't scared. I'll tell you what I'm going with. Because the first pick, we can't steal it from you. You actually get to go. Right.
Starting point is 01:08:25 Hold on to that. Okay. We'll come back in a second and do that. Let's go over to Amy now. and get the investigative corny where we have to figure out the answer to the joke. We're on a one-joke streak. Not good. And we got last week's, though.
Starting point is 01:08:37 How do you eat an elephant? Oh, one bite at a time. One bite at a time. Oh, it's like, that wasn't a joke. Oh, I know. But yeah. We have to get one joke at a time to get a 10-joke streak, our ultimate goal. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:08:48 Hit it. The morning corny. What does a vegetable wear to the beach? What is a vegetable where to the beach? Caratop. A crop, crop top. Oh, crop, crock. It's got to be, no.
Starting point is 01:09:05 Bikini. Bikini. Is there something heaney? No. Like a. No, but. It's got to be something like a bikini. It's got to be.
Starting point is 01:09:16 Bathing suit. Something like a swimsuit. It's got a swimsuit. What vegetable is swimsuit? Eggplant. Let's go down the vegetables. Corn? Corn.
Starting point is 01:09:25 Celery. Carrot. Carrot top. Broccoli. Funny. Caratop. Very underrated, by the way. The comedian? Yeah, great props. Bikini.
Starting point is 01:09:36 Lunch, where you at? I don't know anything about vegetables. Go on the ground or in trees. Oh, my gosh. Great point. I think crop tops it because it's a crop. I mean, that's just the only thing. What does a vegetable wear to the beach?
Starting point is 01:09:52 The beach, sand. It says what is a vegetable, so it's not going to be a specific vegetable bones. But it could be. It really could be. It could be a brococan. A brocini? A brocini. It's got to be something with bikini.
Starting point is 01:10:05 Sand. Beach, bathing suit. Stim. Root. Stim. Oh. No. No.
Starting point is 01:10:13 No. No. No. Why did you say that? Why did you do that? Because y'all were so close at one point. It's crop. Bikini.
Starting point is 01:10:19 No. Bik. Bick. Bick. Vic. Vic. Russell sprouts. E.
Starting point is 01:10:26 E. Oh, zucchini. Zucchini. Zucchini. Zucchini. Bikini. We're out of time Okay, what's your answer?
Starting point is 01:10:33 Well, we've out where I can't The buzzers buzzes. Okay. Pocodot zucchini. All right. All right, hit us with, dang it. Hit us with that, Raymondo. The morning corny. Disgusted with myself.
Starting point is 01:10:47 Amy, what is it? What does a vegetable wear to the beach? What does a vegetable wear to the beach? A zucchini. That was it? Yes. Yes, and probably Bobby, It works.
Starting point is 01:10:59 Bobby even said, oh, man, what's an Eeney? Like, Brock Eey? And no, he goes, no, it's stupid. Right. I was stuck on Crop Top. Yeah. I was too, I mean. Well, it's all right.
Starting point is 01:11:10 We'll get them next week, boys. We'll get them next week. That's all right. We're not losers. We're just bracing ourselves for the biggest comeback in joke history. Yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 01:11:18 Jimmy Allen, best shot. Oh, brother. What's up? You don't like that one? No, we're just disappointed ourselves. Oh, me too. Yeah. If you saw me on camera just now,
Starting point is 01:11:27 I wanted to eat my. kidney. I was so upset. The Bobby Bone Show. I'm going to talk to Bentley in Arkansas. Bentley, thanks for calling the show. What's happening? Hey, Bobby. So, I was just wondering what you think alcohol tastes like since you say you've never even had a shit. Oh, I mean, I don't just say it. I mean, I really have never had a drink of alcohol. I'd love to. I just don't feel like it's for me because I'll drink a lot.
Starting point is 01:11:52 If you're new to the show, I've never had a drink, not because I don't want to or think that it'd be fun. guess, but, you know, my mom was an addict and an alcoholic and she passed away in her 40s and my biological father was an alcoholic and he bailed. And so I was like, it's just not for me. That being said, I bet it tastes like a unicorn or like skittles and strawberries and candy. Oh, is that what you think? Yeah. I mean, if you get something sweet. Yeah. You're in the islands. I can smell, you know, you can smell what stuff tastes like. I can kind of smell. Beer smells like it's like pee. Oh, yeah. This is gross.
Starting point is 01:12:29 Never want to at all take that. It doesn't taste like pee. Whiskey. Yeah, I agree. But people love it. But, like, I would do, like, a virgin. Oh, I guess I do virgin. Virgin drinks.
Starting point is 01:12:41 I would do, like, a virgin peanut colada. I'd probably not know the difference. Or a Zima? Oh, can you imagine me rolling down with some Zimas? We're like, what's up, boys? Zima's all around. Does Zima return? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:12:52 I don't know. I don't know. I probably do some of those carbonated. Ray, what do you drink? I do a white claw and then also the truly It's hard seltzer You would love it It's a berry type flavor
Starting point is 01:13:03 So much flavor So I don't really know I have no idea I'm not gonna drink At least not now My birthday's coming up in April Yeah Big 4-0 dude
Starting point is 01:13:11 I'm so just ready for it So I'm like here it comes Here it comes It's a little bit of a ways Maybe I go hard on that birthday I really feel like you would taste It in Pinia colada And it would instantly hit your bloodstream
Starting point is 01:13:22 And you'd feel like tingly I'd be like woo Or I'd be like Oh man Do do do do do Yeah, that's the deal Bentley is that a good answer I really don't know
Starting point is 01:13:32 I can just smell things I can smell food too And figure Yeah Assume what it tastes like But I That makes sense But I definitely think
Starting point is 01:13:40 That you would not like The taste of it You're probably right Yeah thanks for the call If you're out there And you're not drinking Or you stop drinking Hold on to that
Starting point is 01:13:48 Like ain't no need for it I have so much fun Without it Thank you Eddie looking at me like I'm lying. I'm like, now that's good.
Starting point is 01:13:58 Good for you. We're going to come back and we're going to get into our fantasy draft. You guys will be drafting serials. Woo! Serials. Ramondo, you'll be on my spot today.
Starting point is 01:14:08 Mm-hmm. So, because I'm not getting to play. I finished last in the last one. So I'm going to sit back as just a commentator. I'm going to do play-by-play and color commentary.
Starting point is 01:14:15 Nice. And we'll see this. But tell us what you really think about our picks. Yeah, definitely. Okay. I'll definitely do that. We'll draft serials. And then I did comedy last line.
Starting point is 01:14:26 an award show. I'll just read you my whole act. Nice. I didn't want to spoil it before I did it last night. I'll tell you how it went. I had one joke that did not do well, some that did pretty well, some that killed. So it was all unproven material, but I'm okay to being vulnerable and sharing it with you guys. So we'll do that. And I'll comment on
Starting point is 01:14:43 Sharna, my dance partner, not going on Dance When the Stars this season. Everybody's hitting me up and I'm like, well, why would I talk to you? I can just go talk to my people on my show. And just tell them. So we'll come back and do that next. All right, time for the fantasy. draft for today, and we'll be drafting our favorite cereals. So three rounds, there are five teams drafting.
Starting point is 01:15:11 The team with the best team of cereals will win after our listeners vote at Bobbybones.com. And let me encourage you again, you can't go off just the first pick because if that were the case, just the first person drafting would win every time. So you got to go with the full body of work because that first person drafting has draft the last in the second round. So it's a weaker second round. So look at the full body of work. Pick the team that you think is the best, and they get a point.
Starting point is 01:15:35 We'll start the first pick of the draft today and the best cereals is going to our video producer Eddie. Eddie? Come on, baby. You know what it is. The best cereal in the land, cinnamon toast crunch. Very good first round pick. The best. Very good first round pick.
Starting point is 01:15:50 Yeah. Nice. Strong. I do love it. I love the milk after it, too. Oh, that's the best part. Not the best part, Eddie. Oh.
Starting point is 01:15:57 But it is a great part. The crunch is really good, too. Oh, the cinnamon. And the toast. In the crunch. Morgan number two, you have the second pick of the draft. I'm going to go with Lucky Charms. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:16:09 I mean, not like it was going to be there at the end. Right, right, right, right. You guys all grown to Lucky Charge it out? I love Lucky Charms because, again, it's a metaphor for my life. Right. But the reason why you don't enjoy them as much is because you eat them the way you do. You go the meat thingies first. I go all notes.
Starting point is 01:16:24 And then if you... The hemorrhom marshmallows at the end. If you do good with the oats. You get the marshmallows. If you were to mix them all together, you'd be like, This is perfect. Good pick, Morgan. Number two.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Solid pick. Oh, my gosh. Holly, I really wanted that to be my first one. Ramundo, you got the first pick in the serial draft. Your first round, go ahead. Yeah, you can't believe it's still here. Fruitie Pebbles. That's my number one.
Starting point is 01:16:47 Me too. That's my number one. I don't know. That's first rounder. I ain't worry about that one. Yeah, I don't know. That's the first rounder, but. Oh, man, you guys are crazy.
Starting point is 01:16:53 Amy? Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. Okay. Oh, Golden Grams. That's the generic cinnamon Just crush. Wait, y'all don't love Golden Graham?
Starting point is 01:17:05 No, I love Golden Grams. I was waiting for the third round for that one. Well, but I mean, they took... Wait, okay, what you got? Wait, wait. Wow. No, Bobby, it's... You look at the whole thing.
Starting point is 01:17:17 I know, I'm watching. I just know a bunch of cereal. Like, I was taking fruit loops before Golden Grimes. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. I already mentioned fruit loops. I know, but whoa. So... I don't even have fruit loops on my list.
Starting point is 01:17:26 Oh, no. Down goes, Amy! Well, so. Sorry I wasn't into fruit loops. I know, I know. But I was into some golden grams. I would crush some right now, actually. Would you?
Starting point is 01:17:37 Lunchbox, what is your first pick of the first round? My first round pick was going to be fruity pebbles, but they're gone. And that's okay. I don't panic. I don't go golden grams. I go with something that's not good. They're great. Plusted flakes.
Starting point is 01:17:53 That's funny. That's a weird first round pick. No, no. So good. I was never like, Mom, buy me some frosted flakes. I don't think any of this work. Lunchbox, your first pick of the second round. First pick of the second round.
Starting point is 01:18:07 Man, this is a tough one. This is really hard. Oh, I'm going. Captain Crunch. Oh, kind of out of nowhere. That's a pretty solid pick. That's really good. I forgot about that one.
Starting point is 01:18:18 I didn't even think about Captain Crunch. Are you doing Crunch berries on that? I'm doing Captain Crunch. Okay. He's not being defined by one of your tricks. Yeah. Interesting. All right, Amy, back over to you.
Starting point is 01:18:30 Your second round picking cereals. Okay. What's cereals left? Honeygram O's. What? What is she said? Weenies. Amy's like granola
Starting point is 01:18:40 splusters with low fat skin milk. You love... What are honey... Honey Graham O's? You love the O's as a kid. O's. O's are good. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:55 What? Have y'all ever had them? She's going to win anyway. No, I'm not. But these are good. Good. Like, I don't even know what y'all are talking about. Oh, okay. Again, I see what you're saying. I thought they were just called, I didn't realize they were called Honey Graham-O's.
Starting point is 01:19:07 I thought they were just called- Oh. You said O's. Oh, that's why I- You get all the O's. O's. They're O's. O's. You love O's. Okay, we were all confused by whatever Honey Graham O's is. Oh, but that's what the, that's the full name. O's. O's is a good pick. I like O's. Oh, so now I'm back in it with the O's. But you get all the O's. I get all the O's. O's.
Starting point is 01:19:30 Remember one time for your birthday, I filled a suitcase. No. Remember one time for your birthday? I filled a suitcase full of O's. Yeah. No, I love O's. It was just a weird way to say it. Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 01:19:40 I'd like to take a step back and go, I think this is a good pick. Thank you. You went weird with some full title. It's like calling somebody a middle name, but I'm with you. All right. Honey, not O's is what you said, right? So the official name is Honey Graham O's,
Starting point is 01:19:53 but I'll just, we'll just call it O's. It's what they are. They are O's. Solid second pick. Thank you. Ray Mundo, back over to you. Serial draft. Yeah, you little kids don't know anything about these.
Starting point is 01:20:03 It's little mini pieces of French toast. French toast crunch. Yeah! They make that? It's just a spin off of cinnamon toast crunch. That's the generic version. No, it's like, you know, they had Frankenberry and all these side kinds. It's basically the brother of cinnamon toast crunch.
Starting point is 01:20:22 It does exist. Okay. So you can have that. Interesting. I mean, Amy or Raimundo just. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Golden Grams are solid and I stand by that. I love it.
Starting point is 01:20:34 And everybody loves O's. I love what you do. I know. You just said it weird. You're in. O's. Morgan number two. Amy, I think you're okay. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:20:41 I'm going to go with tricks. Those are good, silly rabbit. Tricks are for kids. Well, hey, go ahead. What do you think, Ben? Solid answer. Listen, she's winning. What do you say about somebody who is the best at her sport right now?
Starting point is 01:20:57 Eddie. I mean, you guys mentioned. and you're not going back to it, so I'm just going to take it. Solid second round page. Why did you guys just skip on fruit loops? Two kids, Sam, one of the best cereal. Masked. Masked. Spock people ever.
Starting point is 01:21:08 Yeah. Love fruit loops. Because I couldn't take three picks at one time. That's why I didn't take it. Yeah, because Eddie, it wasn't even on my list. Golden grams for the win. Even you're making fun of Golden Grams. Don't guilt.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Golden Graham guilt me. You make a fun of it too. Golden girls won for me last on Tuesday. She picks everything Golden. Okay. Yeah, yeah. In video games next week, she lives with Golden. T.
Starting point is 01:21:30 Guys? A fair video game? Golden T. Or golden eye. Or favorite golden bear Jack Nicholas is my favorite.
Starting point is 01:21:38 All right, Eddie, here you have the third pick. Go ahead. Third pick again. Here we go. Serial draft. Ooh.
Starting point is 01:21:43 I got a lot to choose from here. Do I go to? Oh, lots. Lots. All right, I'm going cookie crisp. Because.
Starting point is 01:21:50 Ooh, solid pick out of nowhere. Because again, Bones, after you eat it, that milk is chocolatey. Cookie Crisp. Nobody gets my cookie crisp. And the cop and the burglar.
Starting point is 01:22:01 They're chasing each other. Yeah. I love it. It's good. It's a solid pick. I'm winning this one. Morgan number two. I like it in candy, so I like it in cereal.
Starting point is 01:22:10 Recy's puffs. Well, your teeth are going to rot out from all your cereals. Those are the best cereals. What she's doing here is she's like sub-tweet drafting her Dennis guy that she broke up with. She's drafting all these really sugary cereals to be like, I don't need you, dude. No, the sugary cereals are the best. She's like, I go full sugar cubes and milk. Take that dentist.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Is it Reese's? Rees? Okay. Yeah. Rees' pups. Those are good. They're on there. Ray Mundo.
Starting point is 01:22:41 Pretty boring, but I'm telling you, if you go get a bowl right now, it's freaking good. Life. Oh, I love life. Okay. Let's just see it. No, life is good. Life is good.
Starting point is 01:22:54 You guys are going to lose this game. Like, Ray can't last two games. And Amy's just. walking herself off the plank. No, Ray, that is so solid. Yeah, you took that from me, y'all. Oh, man, I'm stressing. I haven't lived until you've had life.
Starting point is 01:23:08 You're up. Okay. Well, lastly, I'm going to go, Coco for Cocoa Puffs. It's a solid one. The good one. It's a good. Yeah. I'm surprised it lasts this long.
Starting point is 01:23:17 I'm surprised that, like, tricks beat Coco Puffs in the draft. Lunchbox, final pick. Oh, I got like three that I want to take. One is going to make me feel like an old man because it is a fiber one it's very brandy one is really good it's I don't know if it's a spin off of fruit loops
Starting point is 01:23:37 oh fruit hoops yeah no that's what I used to get from the bottom aisle couldn't afford the boxes they were in the bag yeah and there's one that snap crackles and pops your answer lunchbox I'm gonna go with apple jacks
Starting point is 01:23:50 good one that's a pretty solid one Apple jacks all right we have our teams here we have Eddie with cinnamon toast crunch Fruit loops and cookie Chris. That's solid. Dude, that's a Super Bowl team right there. That's solid.
Starting point is 01:24:04 You get it? Super Bowl? We have Morgan number two with Lucky Charms, Tricks, and Reese's puffs. Feel good. I feel real good. Okay. Pretty good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:16 Ramundo with fruity pebbles. French toast crunch. The stepbrother of Sylvintose Crunch. Which are good, by the way. Absolutely. And life. Life is so good. Your mom makes you eat life once a week to cancel out all the other ones.
Starting point is 01:24:32 Amy has golden grams, O's, and Cocoa Puffs. Not a bad team. Really, not a bad team. Pretty diverse, actually. And then Lunchbox has Frosted Flakes, Captain Crunch, and Apple Jacks. Also, I saw the team. Yeah. I would have taken Honeycomb.
Starting point is 01:24:46 I forgot about that one. Honeycomb was a solid one that we used to fight over the back of the box. What about? I would have taken, like, because they had Count Chocula. I had that one on the list. And then there were his brother. It was like booberry. Frankenberry.
Starting point is 01:25:00 There was boo bear, both of them. Booberry and Frankenberry. Anything else? I had crackling oat brand. I did too. But I felt like that was an old person thing. Honey bunches of oats. That was a good one.
Starting point is 01:25:12 You got the honey down. And honey nut Cheerios. Oh boy. She just loves honey. That one's classic though. Golden and honeies. All right. I feel like those are really good.
Starting point is 01:25:22 I think you guys did a great job drafting today. Thanks, Bones. A lot of good teams on the board. Morgan number two is loading them up right now. and you can go to bobby bones.com in the next 20 minutes or so and vote on the team that you think should win the championship.
Starting point is 01:25:34 You guys feel good? Amy, feel good? We're giving you a hard time because you just mispronounced things. Well, no, I mean, I guess I gave the full name of O's. So now I know, simplify it. Just keep it what people know, which is O's. But now the more you know, it's golden.
Starting point is 01:25:48 Amy's like, I'm going with Procter and Gamble's O's. Right. I'm like, what? That's the name of it. I know. Sorry. Okay, good. You good?
Starting point is 01:25:57 I'm good. Now I'm craving cereal. Yeah, me too. I have an oatmeal in my bag, so. Oh, what kind? Just regular oatmeal with some cinnamon. That's it. Nothing exciting.
Starting point is 01:26:11 I can't eat that stuff anymore. There's no sugar. Do you kids eat cereal? We have, I always thought I would never be a cereal person ever. But yeah, we dabble now, but it is not anything on this list. Nothing? They haven't tried cinnamon toast crunch? Nope.
Starting point is 01:26:26 Frosted mini weeks? Oh, those are good. Bones, I forgot about that one. I also thought if someone at Fruity Pebbles, someone would go Coco Pebbles. Coco Pebbles. Chocolate milk after your breakfast cereal. Delicious. Oh, well, Coco Puffs gives you that.
Starting point is 01:26:41 It does. You're right, Amy. That's a good. You're right. She's back, folks. All right. We'll come back. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 01:30:18 let's go over and talk to debby in virginia who's on the phone Debbie what's happening not much just going to work appreciate that call what you want to say first time caller thank you I'm just asking about your dog and how it went with his exam for his eye a couple days ago I found he had a cherry in his eye
Starting point is 01:30:48 that's what they call it there's apparently two eyelids with these dogs and so the bottom eyelid gets swollen and very common in bulldogs. Didn't know this, never had a bulldog. And it's kind of grown over the bottom part of the eye. And they call it a cherry because it's like a big red knot. And so I'm freaking out, obviously.
Starting point is 01:31:06 I'm like, well, world's over. A lot of friends have bulldogs like, hey, it's common. Sometimes vets say, let the other one go ahead and grow too because it's kind of a genetic thing. And if you get one in one eye, the other one usually grows too, and they either clip them off or there's something to it, right? And I still like to take my dog and get them neutered and they're like, we can wait and just do it all at once.
Starting point is 01:31:24 So I took him with the vet yesterday, gave me some creams. So I put them all on me yesterday. Oh, the dog. Did he put a cream on there? You walked right into that one, Amy. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I put some, like, cream and like some eye stuff in his eye. And if it doesn't go down, then the vet will take care of it when he gets neutered.
Starting point is 01:31:45 But he's like, as long as it's not in his eyeball and it's affecting his vision, it's not really hurting him that much, if any. So that happened He is still going to training Next week He's going to be away for six days And so Because I'm going to be gone For some of that week
Starting point is 01:32:02 And so he's going to go It's going to be putting him in a doggy daycare He's going to send him to training Yeah And so The trainer was like We're all good We'll take care of it
Starting point is 01:32:11 Not a big deal So not the best news But not near as end of the world I thought it would be So I appreciate that call to Debbie Thank you Well that's good We have a Malamute Husky, and he's about 140 pounds.
Starting point is 01:32:25 I know what you're going through with the puppy stage, because ours ate everything in sight. My dog won't stop chewing on, not just shoes, but, like, I think he likes human. I think he likes to eat humans. Yeah, like his favorite thing is to chew on, and now his jaws are getting strong, because he's starting to grow a little bit as a bulldog. And he just chew, he doesn't snap by, it's not like he's biting angrily. He just puts his mouth on you and starts with chew. and it hurts.
Starting point is 01:32:51 And so I tell him, I'm like, hey, that doesn't feel good. Nope. He didn't understand. Put hot sauce on your arm. Okay, I'm going to cover my whole body in hot sauce. All right, have that it, dog. It's going good. At times, frustrating, but pretty good.
Starting point is 01:33:06 You know, I hired someone to walk my dog in the middle of the night when he was super puppy because he needed to get out every four hours or so because his bladder was so small. Now, she comes at like 11, and he does, you know, six, seven hours. fine. It's almost time to stop with that dog walker. And I'm there in the daytime. So some people will get a dog worker to come by whether it work. Yeah. This is mostly it for me. But everything's going pretty good. On my Instagram, you see the room. I put him in, he's his own little room. Yeah. So I put him in there. Went home last night after the word show and open it up. And he's just chilling. So he's growing up. It's pretty good. It's okay. You're home? Yeah. And in the morning, we hang out.
Starting point is 01:33:43 And I put him on the bed in the morning and he just lays around. He's good. So, yeah. It's all going All right. Appreciate that. Let me go to Heather and South Carolina who's on the phone. Heather, South Carolina, thank you for calling the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on? Good morning, studio. Morning. I just wanted to compliment, y'all. I really like your show. I just recently started listening to it. And I just am really appreciative of your positive attitude in the morning, Bobby. It puts me in a good mood. And I'm just thankful.
Starting point is 01:34:10 Oh, well, thanks for listening. Appreciate you calling, too. You know, we try to keep it. Try to keep 100. Hyundai, Hundo P, which is a hundo positive. That's right. That's right. Sometimes that don't happen. Sometimes I'll wake up grumpy. What did you say to me this morning? Oh, Amy was positive with me this morning walking into the studio. It was early.
Starting point is 01:34:28 She was like, I'm rooting for you on this morning corny. I was like, thanks, friend. And then we didn't get it. But she was like, I really want you to get it. Yeah, I did. So we didn't get it, by the way. We missed it this morning. So close, though.
Starting point is 01:34:39 Tell him the punchline next time. No, he doesn't want that. I don't want it. And she wasn't offering it? No, she wasn't offering it. But I probably could throw a buck or so. Right. That way we get it.
Starting point is 01:34:49 Oh, yeah. I like the challenge, though. A couple of texts here. Bobby, do you have an English or French bulldog? I have an English bulldog. Another one says, Bobby, you started cussing again. I have not. I don't think I've said a curse word in three years at this point.
Starting point is 01:35:01 I might, though. Never know when I turn into a goatee. Start cursing. You really haven't. I've been watching for it. Yeah, I don't have cuss at all. Nothing. It doesn't even pop in my head.
Starting point is 01:35:10 Crazy. I don't communicate within myself in curse words. That's it. I mean, that's strong. That's like, I mean, because it's not like you didn't cuss. You cuss for a while in your life. Yeah, I want to go metal at it. Yeah, thanks for all the text.
Starting point is 01:35:25 You can text us. Text Bobby. That's our phone number is 26229, B-O-B-B-WI. So send your message to Bobby, and we'd love to have it up here on the show. We've got a whole screen of text messages coming in. Appreciate that. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 01:35:39 Tell me something good. So this guy, Bernie, has been working at the stop-and-shop in New Jersey for 10 years. Guess how old he is? 98 years old. You didn't let me guess. Oh, sorry. You tricked me guess, and I'll tell you. Okay.
Starting point is 01:35:56 That's good, though. 98 years old. Well, he was celebrating his 98th birthday, and his fellow employees at the stop and shop, they like went all out. He never takes breaks. In fact, they have to kind of pester him like, hey, Bernie, you should take a break. So anyway, they get him to take a break. And then in walks a U.S.o show troop, because he was in.
Starting point is 01:36:18 in World War II. Oh, wow. He was in the Air Force, and they performed, like, songs and dance that were popular back in the day from when he was serving in the Air Force,
Starting point is 01:36:27 and they had cake and all the things. They were the Chattanooga Choochoochoo. I love this song. It's a problem in my day. That's awesome. Yeah, total, like, just awesome surprise party for... And I'm calling him Bernie,
Starting point is 01:36:40 but I need to clarify his name to Benny. Pardon me, boy. Is that the Chattanooga, Choochoochoo, that's funny, dude. Yeah, they call him Bernie the bagger, Right? Well, it's Benny. Oh, Benny the bagger.
Starting point is 01:36:52 Right. Sorry. He is. He's Benny the bag boy. That's a good story. Good for them for hooking it up, too. I know. Everybody wins in that one.
Starting point is 01:37:00 All right, that's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Scientists have developed a blood test that can predict whether you die in the next 10 years or so. Oh. With pretty much an 80% accuracy. So I asked the question.
Starting point is 01:37:26 Would you take it? I know. I mean, because you could die in a car accident. You're not going to know that. I wouldn't want to know that. Like, I wouldn't, if someone could tell me. Yeah, but it's not going to be able to tell you that. That's a freak accident.
Starting point is 01:37:40 I know, it's a freak accident. That's from saying. There are things in your body that you're probably not going to be able to withstand. Uh-huh. I know. Would you take the test? Let me give you some more. Let me give you some data.
Starting point is 01:37:52 Give me some data. Scientists looked at more than 44,000 people ranging from 18 years old to 109 years old. Like they got some really old folks, too. They identified 14 biomarkers linked to immunity, glucose control, inflammation, and they predict the risk of death around 10 years, 83% accuracy. And so it's obviously a European research. We can't do it as in America. We are not sharing it.
Starting point is 01:38:17 What do you think? Okay, fine. You know, because I guess I'll do it in hopes that maybe I can, something will come out where I can help reverse it. Like if inflammation's an issue, I'll just bundle. up on all the anti-inflammatory foods. I lean the same way because if you can tell me what's wrong, I can work to fix it. It's like going to therapy, right?
Starting point is 01:38:36 I can go in and you can tell me where I'm, I can't identify myself, maybe what's blocking me from growing getting better. I think I would take it. Lunchbox should you take it? Oh, no chance. No chance because. You don't want to know what's wrong? Well, and then all day I'm going to be sitting there going, well, doesn't matter what I do
Starting point is 01:38:55 today. I'm dying in three years anyway. Like, oh, that would be awful. So do you ever not go to the doctor? Yeah. You don't want to know what it. Yep. You just tough it out. But what if it's really bad? I mean, if I'm, I can't move. But what if it's really bad and you're just not going and it's the early stages and you could have taken care of it? Well, then that's on me. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Around the room. Would you take it? I go yes. Amy. Yes. Lunchbox. No chance. Eddie. Absolutely. I would take it. But I would do the Tim McGraw approach and be like live like you were dying. That's what I mean. I'd go skydiving, Rocky Mountain climbing. Oh. What about that bull's name be you get on?
Starting point is 01:39:35 Who man, chew? I thought so. Yeah. Morgan number two? No. You wouldn't take it? I think it would change the way that I live. And what's wrong with that? I just don't. I think whatever's supposed to happen is going to happen. So I'm just going to let it be that way. I mean. Do you ever go for a checkup or physical just for the sake of going?
Starting point is 01:39:53 I get a blood test. Yeah. Maybe what's, but if you believe it's just going to happen, it's going to happen, why would you even do that? Well, like, those things are like normal. Like, I can just go to a doctor's appointment and be okay or not. But I don't want to take a test and, like, make my anxiety go through the roof. It's just a blood test telling you what's coming up. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:12 Ramundo, what about you? We're at three to two right now. Yeah, I'm taking it. All right, four to two. We have a clear winner here in the election that we're going to go get checked. Let's do it. And then we're going to work on extending our lives by being healthier. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:23 We all should, I mean, kind of live that way anyway, maybe with our bodies. Like, I'm terrible. I'm going to get cancer. Yeah, I have a lot of my family, too. So it's like, you just, I do things naturally because of that. But I may not. Everybody's body's different. We're talking about this blood test that you can take,
Starting point is 01:40:43 and it'll tell you if you die in the next 10 years based on what your blood says about your health. And I'm totally for it because I think you could actually work against it and beat it. You know what me? Give me something. Tell me I can't do something. even live. Like, I'm gonna fight till the last minute.
Starting point is 01:40:57 So we get a lot of texts about this. Here's one. This is my husband's brother unexpectedly died two years ago from something called cirrhosis at 37. We came to find out through my husband doing blood tests that they have a weird mutation that makes them susceptible to cirrhosis and liver issues. Had his brother gone to the dock
Starting point is 01:41:14 or taking a test like this, he could still be alive. Wow. Absolutely do the test to prolong your life. Also, you could find out things about you that maybe you don't die if you fix. Meaning if you take the test and it goes, well, you're going to die in the next 10 years, if you don't fix this, which could be totally fixable. That's why I be in it. That's why I'm jumping into the don't can take.
Starting point is 01:41:35 I can learn some stuff. So I got a lot of calls about that. And again, all the health stuff that we're doing is to find out if we're going to live or die. I would take the test. I call people on the show so they wouldn't take the test, but I think it's fascinating. Now, if you just told me you could tell me what day I was going to die in my life, I don't want to know. That's crazy. Yeah, that I don't want to know.
Starting point is 01:41:51 Right. Or that I'm going to get in a class. How? No. That I don't want to know. Yeah. But if I can actually prolong it and you're going to give me the option to be educated to prolong, I'm in. All in, especially like hearing that story of being, what, 37, 38 years old.
Starting point is 01:42:05 I'm like, gosh, so much life ahead of you. Yeah. Let me say this. You know, they announced the Dancing with the Stars cast yesterday. And then it came out that Sharna, my partner from last season, is not returning to Dancing with Stars. She's not the only one. They also, they didn't bring back Artem on the guy's side. So it wasn't just a Sharna thing
Starting point is 01:42:24 But I can tell you that I reached out to her before they announced And I was like, hey, what's up? Who's your partner? She was like, I don't know it yet. Oh. And this is like two or three days Before the announce
Starting point is 01:42:35 And I was like, oh, cool, she had just been on a trip And she came back And I was like, oh, cool, let me know You know, make sure to see who you get. And so a few days before She didn't know she was going to be on the show. I don't think I'm speaking out of attorney or home nine. So then she found out and text me
Starting point is 01:42:50 And she was like, oh, I didn't know Like, this is crazy. I had no idea. What? Yeah. Wow. And because she's been on, I mean. She's been on for 11 seasons, 12 seasons.
Starting point is 01:43:02 Wow. Yeah. So she wrote, as I'm sure you've heard, I will not be returning to at Dancing ABC the season. I'm unbelievably sad to be back. The 34-year-old professional dancer said on Instagram. A lot of these sites now have coupled me with the story going, well, this is why. Controversial winner. I saw that.
Starting point is 01:43:21 Yeah. Which is not. Why would Ardham not come back either? Had nothing to do with you? I would love that had everything to do with me. Don't think I wouldn't think that was great that not because of her, but that we just broke the system so much. They're having to, that's not the case.
Starting point is 01:43:35 So, Sharnah's awesome. And again, I talked to her right before. I talked to her right after. And she was like, you're not going to believe it. I can't believe it. So she's not back. I don't really know why. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 01:43:46 I have great relationships with everybody. All that crew, Dancing with the Stars, obviously with Shana. So I don't know what the deal is with her. So I did see on Instagram that she wrote that. That's a bummer. It'd be different if she was a part of the decision and was like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:43:59 I'm just not going to do it this year. But she was just as shocked. I talked to Lauren Elena last night for a long time because she's doing it. We put a dancing picture on my Insta story of us dancing. She hasn't started practicing yet. She's still in that phase of this is going to be so fun. And it is fun. Wait until it rules your life.
Starting point is 01:44:15 But I was like, hey, you're going to have some real issues of inadequacy with this. because you're going to go and you're just not going to be able to get it and you're going to go, oh, I'm the worst. And then it's going to bubble into your life and go, I'm just not good at anything. And it's really going to. And so like, when that happens, call me, whatever time it is, because I struggle from that.
Starting point is 01:44:32 Where I would just two or three days of doing eight, nine hours a day, like I couldn't get it. And I was like, I'm just sad because I'm not smart enough to get what I see people doing all around me. I was like, if that happens, call me because wherever you are, I was there plus. Because I had never, I'd never danced. She called, we were doing the post-show pre-show yesterday.
Starting point is 01:44:49 She called me right after she got. on Good Morning America. This is a call from Lauren Elena yesterday. Have you started practicing dancing? No. No practice yet. And have you announced your partner? Wait, they were up there though today. You follow someone, one of the pros on your Instagram already. That's not your partner? I thought that too, but you know all the conspiracy websites are saying that Alan is your partner. I talked to her last night. She was like, he said it. I'm going to have a good one, but I don't know who it is. She still doesn't know. So I'm excited for the season.
Starting point is 01:45:35 I plan on going for the premiere. I saw that there was some drama because they put Sean Spicer on there. People upset about that. You know, I probably would have said away from putting anyone political on there, too. There's a reason we don't come on this show and talk about politics. There are certain places people go for politics and certain places people don't. This definitely isn't. But he won't last long anyway.
Starting point is 01:45:55 Physically, I don't think he can handle it. Yeah. So, yeah, that's the deal. Pretty good cast. Pretty excited about that. My thing on Sharna was, I didn't know, she didn't know. And then I saw her post yesterday after she'd already told me that she was kind of, you know, upset about not being able to go back. She may go back at another time.
Starting point is 01:46:11 I don't know. But, yeah, there you go. Everybody's asking me to say something about it. So there I said it. I didn't know. She didn't know. All right, cool. Amy, what do you want me to do next?
Starting point is 01:46:19 We can talk about some stuff. I can read you all my jokes from last night at the ACM honors. Yeah, because I led the show and did jokes. Okay. I can read you a mailbag segment about taking a wedding band off. Okay. Or I can, a friend that's trying to set me up with somebody. Oh.
Starting point is 01:46:36 And she was like, hey, you should direct message this girl. I can talk about that and just tell you that story. Okay, you want the order? I just want what you want next. You can pick. Oh. The hook up. Hook up.
Starting point is 01:46:49 I know that's the natural. He hasn't, if he had already gone out with her or DM'd her, then yes. But it's that you, a friend wants you to do it. Oh, I'd DM'd her. Oh, well, then that's next. Oh, that's next? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:47:01 You weren't very clear on that. I know, because I hope you didn't pick it. All right, we'll do that next. It's the Bobby Bone Show. All right, which segment did you pick? The DMing to a girl. Well, this is what happened. One of my friends reached out and said,
Starting point is 01:47:19 hey, I have somebody you should go out with. And I was like, you know, the being set up thing rarely works for me. But I respect this friend. And I said, okay, what's up? She goes, well, she's so-and-so, yada, yada. I was like, okay, cool. She sends me her Instagram page, and I just go over and check it out. And I was like, all right, what do I do?
Starting point is 01:47:35 How do you want to set this up? She goes, well, just send her a DM. I'll tell her it's coming. So it says at like noon yesterday. So I didn't want to send it at 1201. And also, this set up stuff rarely, if ever works for me. Right. So I waited in last night after I did ACM honors, the award show, I just sent her a direct message.
Starting point is 01:47:56 And so a bit there's a pressure because, hey, there's one coming. It wasn't me direct messaging her out of nowhere. But I still feel like I got to say, I can't just be like, hey, how's it? ago and I was told to come to you and say hi. Okay. So, like it's got to be good. So you're going to tell us what you said? I don't know this is a safe spot anymore. I used to feel that way.
Starting point is 01:48:17 What do you mean? It is a same place. This is the trust tree. You say that and then you give me a heart. I'll read it to you but don't make fun of me. Okay, you can make fun of me a little bit. And read it how you meant it. Well, read it how you wanted her to receive it. Here's the thing. I'm a little bit embarrassed. Okay. Oh boy. I'm just going to be vulnerable for a second. Okay.
Starting point is 01:48:38 I sent this and, you know, with me, no one looks at my pictures and goes, hubba, hubba. So I got to have a little bit of humor when I send my notes or my direct messages or whatever. Humor's hard through text. Yeah, but I'm pretty good at it. All right. Like, I know where I'm pretty strong. And that's kind of where it is. Sometimes, if not taken right, it can be detrimental to me trying to get anything going.
Starting point is 01:49:04 Okay. I'll read it to you. Hold on, let me pull it. Can I get some reading, vulnerable, direct message music up, Ramundo? Thank you very much. All right, let me scroll. Okay. So, I go over to her page and you hit send message.
Starting point is 01:49:21 This is so stupid. What did you do? I don't even want to tell you guys. If I just would have read it, maybe I thought it was funny, but I've already walked it back. Right, just stop talking about it and read it. Okay. I say, hey, girl. My friend, so-and-so, said you were cool.
Starting point is 01:49:45 And she feels, I'm moderately... Oh, man, I even messed a joke up. In the thing. No, I got it right. I got it right. I got it right. This is what I said. I mean, because it's right.
Starting point is 01:49:55 But it's so hard. And I read it back last night because I never go back and check. And I was like, eh, probably not the... I didn't get a response, by the way, if you want to know that the spoiler to this. Well, I mean, you sent it last night. Yeah. I sent it at 8 o'clock last night. Okay.
Starting point is 01:50:07 I said, hey, girl. I didn't say girl. Her name. Right. Hey, name. My friend Blank said, you were cool. And she feels I'm moderately below room temperature. Like, cool. Yeah. So she suggested I'll reach out. How are you? That's hard. That's a tough joke.
Starting point is 01:50:23 It is a tough joke. I realized it too. And I was like, ah, whatever. Live and learn. And no response. No, not yet. But here's what. It's funny, though. It's cute. I said, my friend so-and-so said, you were cool. Got it. And she feels I'm moderately below room temperature. So she says I reach out. I'm so stupid. Like, yeah. Get it like. No, we get it.
Starting point is 01:50:41 We get it. Cool is moderately below room temperature. Cool. Get it like. So you're cool too. But not all the way. Just moderately below room temperature. Whatever.
Starting point is 01:50:51 Can't win them all. Raymond, do what do you think about that? You just can't go to joke or. Just say, hey, I'm a single dude. No, I always go the joke. I'm a single dude. You seem hot. Yeah, you're going to send your friend thought I'd be interested in.
Starting point is 01:51:04 I liked what I saw. No. No, no, no, no. That's what you said. No, he's got different approaches as you can see. Moderately. temperature is better than both of those. Morgan number two?
Starting point is 01:51:13 What do you think about that? I liked it. I would laugh if somebody sent me that. Would you get it? It might take me a minute. It was a little bit over for a joke maybe on that first line, but I still, I think it's good. I mean, your only really other option is just be like, hey, like my friend wanted us, you know,
Starting point is 01:51:31 wanted us to meet and here I am kind of thing. Yeah, like simple into the point. And since you haven't got a response, You might want to reply and be like, the joke is and explain the joke. I will never insult someone for not getting a joke or thinking a joke's bad. They don't get it. They don't like it. That's my fault.
Starting point is 01:51:48 I live with it. Let me read it again. Right, give me that music again. Let me try to read it again. So it's funny. I just wasn't very comfortable with it. So I stumbled on it. So I was like, hey, girl's name.
Starting point is 01:51:58 My friend, girl's name said you were cool. And she feels I'm moderately below room temperature. So she suggests that. Okay, no, it's not about how you're saying it. Like, so I'm her. reading it. Oh, I got a message from Bobby. Oh, hey girl. So-and-so said that I should text you. She said, you're cool. I'm moderately below room temperature to room temperature. He's room temperature. Oh, cool. Oh. But you would get it after a minute? Yeah. But I mean, she's not reading
Starting point is 01:52:31 it like with your delivery of, I'm moderately below room temperature too. But on. Oh, boy. She's not how she's reading it. Whatever. Hey, Mike D, is a professional writer. He's the head writer on the show. I don't think this one's going anywhere. Mike D, what do you think about that direct message?
Starting point is 01:52:47 I don't think it's bad. Nobody says it's bad. It's just not good. No. I'm not even... Wait, well, how would you change it? Oh, revisionist. I mean, we're going back.
Starting point is 01:52:57 Hindsight's 20-20. I would just go, here I am naked. Check this out. You want it? Hit me back. Look at this. My friend said we should meet. Yes.
Starting point is 01:53:07 So that happened. Chicken. I've not got a response. And we'll see what happens. Has she read it? You don't know when you send it to someone in the first one. Oh, I thought you didn't know? She doesn't follow me.
Starting point is 01:53:18 Okay. So you don't know if they've seen it until that connection is there. Wow. Go ahead, rank me, one through ten. With that, seven. Oh, solid. I'll take that. Yeah, it's not bad, but it's not a ten.
Starting point is 01:53:34 It's not like out of the gate. I mean, that's a four, because that is a tough joke to Get. Eddie? I say six. That's pretty funny, but I mean, you didn't end it with like a... What, she can respond to that? Huh? No, I wrote...
Starting point is 01:53:46 How are you? Oh, okay, good. It's the end. And still nothing. Oh, wow, you didn't tell me that part. I said, yeah, I read the whole thing. Oh. She'll respond back confused.
Starting point is 01:53:56 I think we were all confused with that, but we missed the, how are you? What if she comes back? What if she totally gets you and she loves it? And you say, how are you? And her reply is, oh, right now I'm feeling moderately below. Yeah, or like, boy, like, she gives you like another temperature joke. I'm so cool I could use a blanket. You're ranking it?
Starting point is 01:54:13 I give you an eight. Whoa. Solid. An eight? Solid. And she's single, so this is the voice of the people, the single people out there. She's the voice of the people. I'll take it.
Starting point is 01:54:21 All right, Luke Kelms, beautiful, crazy. I just should have, like, played this in Instagram. Yeah. Here's a song I like. Do you like it? It's so hit me back. Starting point is 01:58:17 I felt like I was hosting it because I did jokes and I gave out a bunch of awards. Call yourself, though. I know I shouldn't do that. So I went up and they're like, hey, do some comedy. I was like, all right, I'll do some comedy. Kind of kicked off the show. You want to hear my jokes?
Starting point is 01:58:31 Yes. I'll just read them because it was on a Wednesday night. Wednesday night. It was a Wednesday night. show for like the industry part of country music. So I awarded many awards to the players on records like guitar players musicians, drummers, steel
Starting point is 01:58:46 players. I also did venues and I did all the awards for promoters. It's just a real insight and Miranda was there. By the way, Miranda never laughed at one of my jokes. She was sitting right in front of me. You watched her? Well, it was dark but she was right there. I don't think she ever smiled
Starting point is 01:59:02 at any one of my jokes. Midland were funny. They were sitting up front like heckling me a little bit. Enjoyed that. I thought that was fun. Cool. Because they were sitting up front. Maddie and Tay was up there. And I felt like overall I did pretty good.
Starting point is 01:59:13 I'd get myself a solid B. I thought that was pretty good. I had a all white suit on. Yeah, see that? Yeah. All right, here we go. And I went with the joke that we picked you on the show yesterday. Started this off.
Starting point is 01:59:23 And I'll tell you, because a couple of these, at least one of them didn't work that well. I'll tell you how they all went because pretty good remembering. All right, here we go. Hey, everybody. Give that music. Hey, everybody. There you. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:59:34 Hey, pretty cool being here at the 13th annual A, CM honors. 13 years is a long time. That's older than Mason Ramsey and also believe it was 13 years ago that Chris Stapleton last used a razor. Got a pretty good laugh. And I felt there were some listeners there and they laughed extra hard because they heard it on the show and they were like, yeah! We know that joke. That's a good one. So I love it. I appreciate the support. Because in a laughing situation, if somebody laughs, you get somebody else laughing. Yeah. I'm growing a lot since moving to Nashville. I'm not always seen eye to eye with every artist. There's one artist in particular
Starting point is 02:00:10 That's right I'm looking at you, Trisha Eier Wood You never gave me credit For using my chicken fried steak recipe On your cooking show Oh That one didn't do that well Yeah, that we didn't do that well
Starting point is 02:00:21 I'll be honest with you They were kind of like No, the delivery was a little off That was the one that really But Tricia, she was there? I don't know, I'd just point in the crowd and yell stuff Oh, okay
Starting point is 02:00:31 Doesn't matter? No, it doesn't There were so many big people There that everybody just assumed that everybody was there So that was the one that didn't do so hot Miranda Lambert's here
Starting point is 02:00:39 Lauren Elena's here Kaley Hammack is here as well as many other awesome ladies in country music and speaking of the ladies and country music I did create a national show to highlight them
Starting point is 02:00:48 called the women of IHeart country I often get criticized over it some ask why I don't start a show called the men of Iheart country that already exists it's called the radio that got a good point that got a good one
Starting point is 02:01:02 Billy Joe Shaver is here no he didn't it was Billy Joe Shaver's being honored Yeah. Billy Joe Shaver's being honored tonight. He's the real deal man. They don't make him like him anymore. Did you know that he lost two fingers in a sawmill accident and still became a country star? Now I take that as an example of inspiration and perseverance. Like this morning, for example. I got a hang nail. It was so painful. But you know what? I didn't quit. I managed to push through and got ready and the limbo pick me up and I got here. They don't make fighters like us anymore. Do they, Billy Joe? That's a good one. That's a good one. And he lost two fingers and if he was there, I was going to hold my hand up and be like, just a joke, Billy Joel. Billy Joe, and I was going to have these two fingers down like his, but he wasn't in the crowd. And then I was going to go, don't shoot me in the face,
Starting point is 02:01:43 because he shot a guy in the face. Yeah. You should just for Trinity was there and said that. That I didn't get to do. Here's another one. Like Billy Joe, I'm a bit of a rebel myself. I got fined $1 million by the FCC, which is still less than the amount of money I spend on spray tans a year.
Starting point is 02:02:00 No. That got a good one. And then I was talking about some of the awards, and I go through it. we're doing these awards for like some of the players. I'm like, even in this digital world, it's great to know we're still honoring real musicians who have taken the time to hone their craft
Starting point is 02:02:16 on the instruments that made country music unique, like fiddle, banjo, steel guitar, which we're hearing less and less. I come to think of it, much like those instruments. I haven't been touched or played with in a very long time either. And that one got to have a lot. You like that one, that's the best one. Yeah, it's pretty good.
Starting point is 02:02:35 Give myself a solid. Only one joke didn't admit of all the new stuff. Untested, it was good. And people were like, who knew you told jokes? I'm like, I'm a, I'm a, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, come me, I tour all the time. I tell jokes for a living, a second living. But it was good. It was good to see everybody last night.
Starting point is 02:02:50 So that, that was, I did some more in between some of the awards. Like, I had an all white suit on, and I kind of piggyback off the, um, the spray tan joke. I was like, all white on the outside. If you take it off, it looks like a Cheeto, you know, they got a good. So true. Yeah, but Midland was heckling me the whole... They were funny. Those dudes are funny.
Starting point is 02:03:09 They are funny. Those three different were like, yeah! You suck! It was good. Bobby Bones. Joe. Bobby Bones. Reading some messages for people.
Starting point is 02:03:28 Well, I read my direct message to a girlfriend was like, hey, you should message this girl. And I was like, okay, so I sent her direct message, and I read the message on the air. Yeah. And a lot of people are weighing in. Here's one. Hey, Bobby, I was listening to your conversation and how your DMs over the past couple years have been. The main thing that stands out for me is
Starting point is 02:03:48 the air of desperation, nervousness, or lack of self-confidence. Just be confident. Not your best look. That's who I am, though, right? Yeah. That's just that I sent, that I am who I am. At this point in my life, I know exactly who I am. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:03 And I sent a joke, and you don't get the joke. And you can go back and listen to the podcast if you missed it. You don't get the joke. then that's on me, but I'm not going to change you I am. I'm just never going to be the guy like, what's up, baby, let's go out, uh? Get with Hollywood here. That's never going to be me, ever.
Starting point is 02:04:16 So I don't want to be something I'm not. I don't represent something I'm not. Right. Am I a little anxious, a little nervous, little fidgety? Yeah, all the time. But the lack of confidence is here in the studio and you in front of your friends, not on the DMs. The DMs, that sounds pretty confident.
Starting point is 02:04:31 You're telling the joke. Yeah. How long did it take you to come up with that joke? Like one second, and then I sent it. I was just like, this would be good. Send. When I text or tweet, I don't even look. I'm reckless.
Starting point is 02:04:42 It's why there's so many typos. So I'm getting a lot of messages about that. But that's all right. That's all right. Let's go over to Morgan number two with what do 25-year-olds care about. Morgan number two coming at you. Well, the VMAs are days away. And Missy Elliott is being awarded the Video Vanguard Award.
Starting point is 02:05:03 And she's the first female rapper to receive it. It was pretty cool. Remember we talked about what the reverse is here? It's your, it's your remit and I was like, hey, you know what that is, right? And you didn't know. I didn't.
Starting point is 02:05:18 I was saying it, is your fifth and the minnets. And what that is, is just her reversing, just take it, flip it, and reverse it. What she just, yeah. Just flipping it and literally reversing it. It's pretty awesome. So back in the day, I was like, oh, mind blown. That song was such a jam.
Starting point is 02:05:32 So, VMA is coming up. What day do you know? It's Monday, August 26th, and it's only on a day. MTV. All right. There you have it. Thank you, Morgan, number two. That is what, 25-year-olds. Here you go. Is it worth it? Let me work it. I put my thing down, flip it and reverse it. T. Is it a reverendipur dintillipf no-wad? Is that what they wrote out? Yeah. That's funny. Which is just put my thing down, flip it and reverse it. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:05:56 Yomim-a-mitil-puff-tum-y-up. That guess that right? No. United Passenger was forced to sit and vomit-covered seat. Did you guys see this? Here's the first clip of this new story right here. I was told, oh yeah, we can get a cleaning crew, but you're going to be the reason why this flight's delayed. There's got to be some limitations. I mean, you have to provide a sanitary environment. And I mean, there should be an apology. Is there another clip right now we want to or just that one?
Starting point is 02:06:24 Just out one. Okay. Yeah, they walk them over and they're like, this is your seat. And they're like, bleh in there? Yeah. Not cool. I see people tweeted airline sometimes and I laugh. Because what is that ever going to accomplish?
Starting point is 02:06:35 They don't give you free tickets. They know. That is nothing. And I see people like get angry. Like I think I saw Jimmy Allen getting angry at United yesterday. I think it was United. Oh, but when you're at the airport and something frustrating is happening, it feels good to just like go to Twitter for a second. But don't be that person.
Starting point is 02:06:51 Why? We often say don't take the negative culture. It's not to be negative. I don't know if he was bashing. He was. He was. He was like, you suck. Oh.
Starting point is 02:06:57 Well, I wouldn't do that. But if you're genuinely dissatisfied as a customer, I think it's okay to put it out there. You can send a direct message off of the public timeline. Okay. DM? I'm really good at those. Slad right in. It's a Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 02:07:15 I appreciate everybody hanging out with us. I hope you have a good day. You go over and follow the show at Bobby Bones show on Instagram. Amy, what's going on today? My friend's coming in town, so I'm super excited. Mary, I'm picking her up from the airport. So I'll, like, work out, take care of a much of stuff,
Starting point is 02:07:29 try to get my work for tomorrow done so that way I can pick her up and we can hang out with the kids tonight. Yeah? Yeah. Tomorrow will be good, though. Vince Gills coming in tomorrow. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:07:38 So that'd be fun. The dance parties. Yeah. So tomorrow show will be good. Hey, do you know what? Don't worry about tomorrow show. Yeah, right. Wait, what do you mean?
Starting point is 02:07:46 You're like, stay home, don't worry about it. I'm like, don't worry about sending anything in. Don't come in. Okay, all good. Fine. I'll book breakfast. Okay. What do you have?
Starting point is 02:07:57 I am interviewing the very last candidate for the executive producer job today. Wow. Wow, you've already interviewed. Multiple. Wow. Yeah, so one more today. And I have a call. There's a cable-ish network.
Starting point is 02:08:11 It's a cable network. They want to do a show. So I'm going to call and see what that's about. I'm looking on my calendar out too. My dog has a play date at right after that with another dog. Is that like a double date? No. Okay.
Starting point is 02:08:26 No. All right. Just checking. I'm going to work out. Eddie's coming over to the house with recording some vocals for a new Raging Idiot song. About a fanny pack. Ooh, you're going to love this one, Amy. Not a parody, an original.
Starting point is 02:08:39 I love Fanny Pact. Think Bruno Mars. Yeah. But if you were really bad at music. I love your originals. Thank you. Tuesday. We haven't put Tuesday out.
Starting point is 02:08:49 And no one knows that one. I do it. Because every time it's Tuesday, I say, Cachews Day. Tuesday. H-O-A, Tuesday. Eat some Cachewsday. Just talking about Tuesday.
Starting point is 02:09:02 Housewives. Tuesday. Oh, yeah. Yeah, but it's Thursday today. Right, right, right, right. Right, it's Thursday. Check out Amy's podcast, Four Things with Amy Brown, because Adam Bobo is on there, who we just refer to as Bobo,
Starting point is 02:09:14 and he talked about hydration, and he's actually coming over to the house tonight because I got a long trip I'm about to take. Oh, yeah, he's going to hydrate me. All he does is pour water in my mouth. It's pretty cool. You just drink water. Yeah, he just waves a feather and pour water. You are now hydrated.
Starting point is 02:09:30 He's like, you're good now. All right. So, yeah, I got a pretty busy day today, but I got a good day. So it's been good. Thank you to you for listening. Thank you to everybody here for being in the studio. We'll see you guys on Friday. We have a big show tomorrow.
