A story that I didn't get too in time was this kid, he goes to intern at NASA. He's 17 years old. And while he's there, he discovers a new planet.
Starting point is 00:03:14 Oh, amazing. A teen intern at NASA found a new planet. Really? Yeah, his name is Wolf Kukier, 17, an intern at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, was tasked with going through data on star brightness and found a fricent. planet when nobody else had found it all before him. It turns out the darkness of the planet was 6.9 times
Starting point is 00:03:36 larger than Earth and it's his. I don't think he owns it. Can't call it wolf? Well, I don't know. My question was, what would you know? If you had to name a planet you found it, what would you name it today? Yeah, probably your name, right? I probably wouldn't. Well, I don't think I'd call it. Do you call it bones? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:03:55 Bobby? No, I would. I would call it like Razor Baconian. Okay, all right. Personalized. More people could enjoy it than just me. What would you name of a planet of you today? Colleen.
Starting point is 00:04:08 You can name after your kids? You name after what do you want? Yeah, okay. S&S. You'd call the planet S&S. Oh, is that bad? Is that that that bondage? Hold on.
Starting point is 00:04:19 No. No, no, no. Is that what you want to do? I don't know where your mind's going right now? No, because when I say, well, St. Sharon Stevenson, that's, like, really long. So I said as an S for them. You're talking about S. And S&M.
Starting point is 00:04:33 Yeah. I wouldn't call it that. I don't know. Hold on a whim here. But yeah, I guess. Maybe I'll just Stevenson, Stachira. That'd be hard to explain. You can't have to pick one, though, or they won't ever be said.
Starting point is 00:04:47 And letters is not personal. I know. And it's not fun. Yours is good. Razor Bacconian. Yeah. I don't really have a team that I. What about a Hallmark Christmas movie?
Starting point is 00:04:59 Oh, okay. These are my favorite things. Okay. These are a few. Lunchbox. Land of Lunchbox. Oh, you guys are using multiple words for it. Like, listen, Mercury, Venus, Earth.
Starting point is 00:05:11 If you want people to say it all the time, it's got to be something. I would just say that if you want people, or they would call it, like, loll. You know, Eddie? Ed Anus. You know what? I'm going to say that's probably not the way to go. No. I get it.
Starting point is 00:05:24 Uranus. Right, right, right. Ed Anas. They'd force to say it. And every school would love it. Ed Anus. Yeah, they'd be like, and what's the 10th planet? Ed Anus.
Starting point is 00:05:38 But they already have your anus. Right, but that's going away. Now they have his, too. And Ed Anus. We're all 12. Yes, we are. But anyway, I thought that was pretty crazy that that kid hopped in there and found a planet. Like when he told the bosses, right, they were probably just like, okay, kid.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Oh, yeah, you should have found him on already. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'd like to say good morning to everybody except the man wanted in Pennsylvania for using his 11-year-old son as a human shield to try to keep the cough from tasing him. Oh, my. Jeez. That's so terrible. As police prepared to take him into custody with the aid of a stun gun, he uses his 11-year-old son as a human shield to prevent officers from shocking him. Did he want his son to get shocked or did he just think that the kid would keep them from shocking period?
Starting point is 00:06:21 Just selfish. I think whatever was in the way he would have used. Dang, that's terrible. Like, dad's usually jump in front. Just your instinct to grab your kid? No way. Yeah, that sucks. I'm going to get to that today, too.
Starting point is 00:06:36 A lot of the stuff that I get to here, isn't stuff that wasn't good enough to make the show. It's just other stuff ran long. Amy, anything going on with you? We have to go pretty soon because I have the million-dollar show tonight. And we have to start rehearsal early in the day. So by the time you get to the venue, we'll have been there for like five hours.
Starting point is 00:06:54 Yeah. Sound checking. Can't wait. I'm getting excited. It's going to be fun. I didn't get to go last year because I think Stephen was, Stevenson was sick. And then the year before that, my kids had only been in America like two weeks, so we didn't go.
Starting point is 00:07:07 So I haven't been in a couple years, so I'm pumped. Did you start watching the Kevin Hart documentary? Yeah. And how was that? It's good. I'm into it. And I like that they're only 30 minutes, and I can follow it. Better than you thought?
Starting point is 00:07:21 Because that's better than I thought. Better than I thought. Nice. Yeah. So I recommend it. Good, good. For sure. The Oscar nominations came out today.
Starting point is 00:07:31 best picture. There are so many movies in this category now. There are one, two, three, three, four, three. So before you read them though, you're always like... You're nine movies in this category. You're always like, I've never seen any of these movies. Have you seen any? Well, sometimes. No, but in the last four or five years, that's why they put so many in there so people will see them more and it gives people kind of a rooting interest instead of when they put three. Yeah. And we'd be like, are they even out in America yet? Right. If you've seen it, just yell yes. Ford versus Ferrari, might get on a microphone.
Starting point is 00:08:01 phone because I know you've probably seen most of these. He's going to say yes or all of them. He's got a podcast, movie, Mike's movie podcast. Yeah, I've seen all but three on the list. Okay, Ford versus Ferrari's up for Best Picture. Yeah, it's Christian Bail and Matt Damon. Is it good? Pretty good. Not really good? It's all right. The Irishman. Yeah, that's a good one. Started watching it. And you got to watch it in two parts, or you'll be tired. Oh, I'm already in four parts because I don't have kids. Great. I'm like 20 minutes at a time. Yeah, I liked it. Jojo Rabbit. Haven't seen it yet. Is Zika. Roger? Or Peter?
Starting point is 00:08:34 Remember who friend Roger Rabbit? It's great, dude, of course. It's with Jessica. Joker for Best Picture. Yeah, here. Wow, I've seen that. Good. It was really good. Really good.
Starting point is 00:08:44 But I think its legacy has made it better in people's minds. I don't know what that means. Explain. Everyone talking about it, like the legacy of the Joker, and now they made it. And I think it's just kind of lifted itself up. The hype has. I'm trying to just let it stand on its own
Starting point is 00:09:00 and just think, like, I went and I enjoyed it, and I talked about it for, like, two weeks afterwards. I know. I thought it was really... Listen, I thought it was really good, too. Little Women? Haven't seen it yet. Well, I have a couple friends that have seen it. It said it was just great.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Oh, I want to see it. Marriage Story. Good. On Netflix. Good one. Adam Driver. Scarlett Johansson. On two... Netflix is up for two movies.
Starting point is 00:09:22 Oh, that's amazing. Picture. 1917, which is that war movie. Yeah, I just saw it really good. And apparently it's shot in one shot. One shot. Yeah, one continuous shot. Really?
Starting point is 00:09:33 Yeah. There's like some crazy editing in it, but it's, yeah, it's pretty awesome. Now they didn't physically do it in one shot. Might you haven't seen it. No, what they did is they filmed it, but every time they stopped cutting, they have to like match it up before they ended to make it look like one continuous shot. That's awesome. So the whole time you're watching it, it looks like it never stops.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Really? Yeah. Can that win? I mean, it won for the Golden Globe, so it has a good shot, but I don't think it'll win. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I've seen that. Great. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:01 And then Parasite. Haven't seen it yet. It's a foreign film. Yeah. No, subtitles. Oh, yeah, Eddie, you have to go watch. That's your thing. Yeah, you'll love it.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Mike, who wins in your mind? I think the cool vote is Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. You do? Yeah. I'll take that bet. Really? Yeah. Joker.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Ooh, I would go with the Irishman. Really? You want to put a million dollars up each? A million dollars? Let me take my bank account. A million dollars it is. That's something fake. It doesn't even matter. Okay, I'll take the Irishman, though.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And you'll take Once Upon High Hollywood? We'll just bet our pride. Okay. Best actor Antonio Banderas, Pain and Glory. I haven't seen that. DiCaprio. Oh, wow. For Best Actor, he's up for it, huh? Yeah. He wasn't up for it on Oscar, for the Gold Gloves, right? No, he wasn't.
Starting point is 00:10:46 For what movie? Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? Okay. No, he was nominated and win. Oh, is that what it is? Adam Driver, Marriage Story, Joaquin'Ine, Joker, Who's Going to Win? And then Jonathan Price, the Two Popes. And then I'll do one more, Best Actress.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Cynthia Revo for Harriet, Scarlett Johansson for Marriage Story. I don't know how to say it's called name, Say Rise, Ronan, for Little Women, Charlie Sterron for Bombshell, and Renee Zelliger for Judy. So there you go, those came out today. Amy, any thoughts on it? Have you seen any of those? No, I don't think I've seen a single one. But I want to see Little Women, and I'll watch a marriage story because that's... Well, I would like you to see Little Women.
Starting point is 00:11:19 Because it's on Netflix. Amy's 19 episodes in Saving Arc Kelly, but she is not going to watch Marriage Story on Netflix. Surviving Arkelly? Whatever it is called. We don't want to say this. She's like, I don't have time to watch Maritstroy on Netflix.
Starting point is 00:11:32 I'm 31 episodes into Love and R. Kelly. Listen, now... Now I'm struggling if my son can listen to I believe I can fly. Yes. Separate the art from the artist. Okay. Then I guess I'll let him. But dang. How did he get away with that for so long?
Starting point is 00:11:48 I know. I haven't seen the show. Right under all of our noses. I'm only, Amy, I should take my statement back because I haven't seen the show, but in generally I try to separate the art from the artist. So if I watch that show, though, I may feel differently. Well, the conclusion was we decided it was okay for my kids to watch the Cosby show. Because he was playing a character.
Starting point is 00:12:07 Right. He can learn from that. I believe I can fly of inspire me before many youth basketball games. Space Jam. Oh, yeah. True. That's on you, though, as a parent. You decide.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Did you all know that R. Kelly married Alia? Uh-huh. She was... I forgot that. But did you know she was 15 at the time? And they lied on the court documents saying she was 18. And then two months later, they got it annulled. But...
Starting point is 00:12:28 She's the one that died. Yeah. Plank crash. Some of the people that were speaking about her and her story, they were just really protective of her, so they had a hard time talking about it because she's not here to tell her side of the story. Is that the original Surviving R. Kelly that you're watching?
Starting point is 00:12:44 The one that was on Lifetime? Yeah. But now it's on Netflix. But now they've done another one too. They've gone back. I think they have a new series. So after you're done. I don't know what I'm watching.
Starting point is 00:12:54 It's called Surviving R. Kelly. And it suddenly is now on Netflix. which made it easier for me to watch. And I, it's... So you're watching this series, but the Reckoning Season 2 just came out. Right, Mike? On...
Starting point is 00:13:10 What's that? Started in January. What channel's at? What channel? 37. What? What network or whatever? Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:13:25 I don't know. We do pop back into our 90s. Yeah, of course. Well, we're going to get that tape. Yeah, or I'm going to video that. I'm going to videotape this. Did you get that on video? It's on Lifetime.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Yeah, lifetime. No, but season two is too. Okay. So this is the first one then. So his boys would be, some of them are being interviewed now, and they're just shaking their heads. They're like, we thought, we thought they looked young, you know? But we weren't asking for IDs.
Starting point is 00:13:53 And they would, like, go to the mall and high schools to find girls. That's, it's. I don't even like to watch that. I don't like that where that would put me in me. Right. I agree. I'm with you. It's hard to watch,
Starting point is 00:14:05 but I also am watching it. Well, listen, I watch a lot of those murder shows and I was like, Ted Bundy! But then it's just, some of it I can take, some of what I can't. Then I feel bad for what I can take. I'm like, I wish I didn't,
Starting point is 00:14:19 wasn't entertained by this. All right, we're going to hop on before we get started with today's show, check out the Bobbycast with Shay from Dan and Shea. He's the latest episode that's up. I sat with him for about an hour 20 minutes or so. Talked about the origin of Dan and Shay.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Shea's origin, for sure, signing with T. Payne. It's a great story. I love that guy. Amy's got her podcast called Four Things with Amy Brown. Yeah, there was a new Four Things that was up on Thursday, just like a variety of stuff. And then tomorrow, a new Q&A will go up. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Lunchbox and Eddie and Ray Mundo, are you guys doing a show today? We are. Yep. It's a bit. All right. Losers. Sports guy talk. All right. There you have it.
Starting point is 00:15:00 Probably going to talk to Super Bowl. Well, no. because we don't know the Super Bowl yet. Oh. There you haven't. Well, I mean, what's to come? What's to come? All right.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Thank you, guys. Here we go. This is Monday show that you're about to hear now. Appreciate you. Bye. Starting point is 00:19:22 Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Ball. Welcome to Monday show. Big week for me. I tell you, tonight is the Raging Idiots Million Dollar Show.
Starting point is 00:19:45 It's Eddie and I's little comedy group. And we actually form ourselves with a real band and all these artists come through. Brooks and Dunn's going to play with us tonight. Kane Brown. A lot of surprises. It's fantastic. We spent all weekend rehearsing and learning all these songs. I only learned a little bit of them.
Starting point is 00:20:01 The band learns all of them. Yeah. I have a hard job. But it's going to be fun. So it's been all weekend doing that. Morning studio. Morning. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:20:09 And then Tuesday night, my episode of Running Wild Bear Girls air is finally. So good. So. Finally. Big week. Yeah. Big week. Monday's that, Tuesday they add.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Glad to be here. Hope you guys are happy to be here. Let's see what's happening in everybody's live with our segment called What's the Haps. Hey. Hey, what's the Hats? You know, I watched a movie called Lady Bird. Anybody ever see a movie? It got like 99% positive on Rotten Tomatoes.
Starting point is 00:20:35 And so I get on my Apple TV now, it's Apple Plus. It's like movies recommended for you. And I watch Lady Bird and it's pretty good. I'm looking at the Rotten Tomatoes now. The Tomato Meter, it gets a 99% from the critics and a 79% audience score. What's it about Lady Bird Lake? It's kind of a dromedy, like a dramatic comedy. It's about a girl who's graduating high school and the relationship her and her mom have with each other.
Starting point is 00:20:59 And she wants to get out of Sacramento. and go to New York. And it's just kind of one of those emo, kind of funny. I like those. Pretty good movies. And it was only an hour and a half, which is why I jumped in.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Any stars? Like, anybody famous in it? Well, the mom from Roseanne. The aunt from Roseanne. Gotcha. Yeah, the aunt from Roseanne. But she plays the mom. But it was good.
Starting point is 00:21:21 It's pretty good. Yeah. I would give it three out of five birds. But that's what I watched. I was chilling with the dog. and we watched Lady Bird over the weekend. I'm kind of getting into the movies a little bit now. Yeah, because you weren't.
Starting point is 00:21:36 You were all about TV shows. The Irishman and then now. I want to watch Casino now. Yes. But what's that? Well, you should do Goodfellas first. Really? Yeah, because Casino's, oh, it's so good.
Starting point is 00:21:45 Casino to me is like, eh, it's okay. Mike D, you're the movie expert. Let's bring it Mike D from Movie Mike's Movie Podcast. Which of those like De Niro Pacino movies? You have to start with Goodfellas. It's similar to the Irishman based on a true story. Oh, it is based on a true story. Based on the note.
Starting point is 00:22:01 I was, Mike and never have this conversation off the other day. If something is based on a true story or a book and it's only okay, then it's pretty good to me because at least I feel like I'm learning. There are two avenues I like to walk down, being highly entertained or highly educated. I need to be getting one of the two. And if I can get them both, and they don't have to both at the same time. Like if I feel like I'm pretty educated while I'm being pretty well entertained or if I'm high, the movie can be sucky, but as long as I'm learning, I'm still okay for a while. Okay, so that's the one. I've never seen any of the Godfather movies
Starting point is 00:22:32 Are those based on anything real? No, you wouldn't like those I wouldn't? Nah. Why? They're not as good. Okay. All right, so I'm going to watch
Starting point is 00:22:39 Good fellas. Good fellas next. But I watch Lady Bird is pretty good. Amy, it probably wouldn't be for you. Eddie, it probably would be for you. Okay. Just sensing humors are different. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:22:48 Yeah, yeah. All right. Hey, that's what's up. Hey, what's the hat? Amy? So I know siphoning gas is the thing. Oh, all the time when I was growing up. We used to siphon gas out of each other.
Starting point is 00:22:59 But, like, you just have to siphon gas out of each other. You did it with someone knowing. Well, what we would do is we wouldn't have enough money to put gas in the other car. My mom would have a car. My grandma would have a car. And if you didn't have enough money to put gas, you would siphon gas out of one tank, a little bit of it to put it in the other so both cars would have gas. Right.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Like with the water hose, you go, and then you have to pull your mouth off right when it hits. Yeah. Sometimes you get some in your mouth and you got spit it out. Almost all the time. Yeah. I had to siphon soap out of a dishwasher once because I put the wrong kind in. And I thought I would, like, ruin it. So I got a straw.
Starting point is 00:23:26 Fucked it out. Like, well, my one worked. But. The point of my story is Kara, who helps us with our kids, she texts me and said, hey, I know I'm supposed to come help today, but I'm going to have to Uber over.
Starting point is 00:23:37 I won't have a car because I just came outside and my car wouldn't start. I had a full tank of gas last night. My car was parked on the street. And when AAA came, because she thought maybe her car was broken down, she's like, there's no way.
Starting point is 00:23:48 They said, ma'am, you're out of gas. And she, the gas tank thing, she's like, now that I think about it, it's kind of open and undone, and someone had siphoned her. Someone needed gas. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Crazy. Probably popped her gas tank and then siphon the gas out. Yeah. Isn't that nutso? Yes, maybe for now. And I don't know where she lives, but how I grow, people got siphoned all the time. Oh. It's almost like you had a water hose and a gas tank in your car on it all times.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Well, and the water hose, too, had to be cut. You had to cut the edges of it, too, because you wouldn't siphon through the... The middle part, right? I don't know how they did it, but that's what they told her, ma'am. Looks like you got siphoned. Although I've also done the thing to where I think my car's broken and I've just been out of gas and you feel stupid. I've also done that on a different way. I don't know what's wrong on my car.
Starting point is 00:24:36 And they're like, you have no gas in there. You goober? Hey. Hey, what's the ass? Lunchbox. Speaking of gas, I thought this would be the coolest neighbor in the world to have Las Vegas firefighters busted someone with an illegal gas pump in their yard. They had it in their yard and they had a hose from the backyard. They would reach the street and they were running an illegal gas station.
Starting point is 00:24:57 How are they getting the gas station? gas. They don't know how they're getting gas, but they say they might be, what Amy said, siphoning gas from people's cars and putting it in these tanks in the backyard, and it was long enough that you could pull up to the curb, they fill you up. Wow. Underground. Ding, ding, ding. Oh, man. Did they have the gas tank underground? No, they just had it, they had like big old buckets or containers, and they had them a concrete roll around it, and then a gas pump, and it was
Starting point is 00:25:27 green for diesel, I guess. I mean. Would that be an entrepreneur to you? That's pretty smart. It's, hey, you got to start out small, right? You can't go brick and more. You don't steal. You don't steal and sell. That's interesting.
Starting point is 00:25:40 I've never heard of that before. Hey! Hey, what's the hat? Eddie? My wife made fun of me the other day because on AMC, it's not the old movie channel, but it's older movies. They're showing Titanic now a lot.
Starting point is 00:25:52 And I just, every time it's on now, I haven't caught it from the very beginning to the end because it is a three-hour movie. But every time it's on, I stop what I'm doing and I watch it until the very end. And my wife's like, you keep watching Titanic like you've never seen it before. But dude, that is one of the best movies. I have to say in our lifetime. Have you ever watched it from the beginning?
Starting point is 00:26:12 Yeah. Oh, you have? I just forget every time there's an old lady and a side story involved. The actual, you know, character in it. I guess I don't flip through a bunch of channels and see movies on. I know where I'm going to go all the time, right? It's like I hit my button. I yell at my remote and then it takes me to my channel.
Starting point is 00:26:26 But I watched the other day. I watched Ricky Bobby. That was on. Talada deacon nights. And I went like an hour of that and it was funny. And then the other movie in the last year that I've stopped on to watch was that the two dads movie, Will Ferrell. Daddy's Home.
Starting point is 00:26:44 Funny. Is that good? Do you've seen Daddy's Home 2? No, but Daddy's Home 1 is so funny. I guess maybe it's just if Will Ferrell's on, I stop. Right. Yeah. It's always cool to run into a show that's halfway down and you're like,
Starting point is 00:26:56 I'm going to watch the rest of this. Hitch had always been my good. to that if it was on TBS, I would stop every time because it was so good. All right, that's what's the haps? Hey, what's the hat? Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. All right, the question is, am I too old for this? And up today is Amy.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Amy, what's going on? Yeah, so Hillary, utility Hillary from our show, she posted that she got her ears pierced, like double time, you know, two. And I've always wanted that. My earlobes are tiny, but I mean, I feel like I could make it work. And then also I would like to get a really cool one up on the cartilage, like the top of my ear part. Because I've been tucking my hair behind my ear and I just think earrings would look really cool on my ear. But I'm 38 or whatever.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Or whatever. You are how old you are. Okay. So I'm 38. So I just don't know. Am I too old for that? Or did I, if I had gotten it done a long time ago and I already had it done and be fine, I have it. But I mean, I'd be going in first time.
Starting point is 00:27:58 I just had my ears of here since I was a little girl, normal. So are you too old to have double or all three? I'm going to get it all. If I get the double, then I'm going to go ahead while in there and have them only on one side, my left side, get up here done too. I'm going to say you're not too old for it. Thank you. Also, even if you are, you can cover it most of the time. Oh, like if I feel.
Starting point is 00:28:19 And sometimes you dress super trendy. Mm-hmm. And it kind of works. Kind of. I also don't think that you can age out eventually. anything you don't feel good doing. I think whatever makes you feel good you should do. If anything, it'll help me maybe feel younger. When you feel younger, you are younger. Is that true?
Starting point is 00:28:37 Mm-hmm. Listen, I still wear, I have a hoodie on today, right? Right. I have a feel a hoodie on today. I don't really go backwards hat that much. Not that much. Because I don't feel good doing that. I feel kind of weird. But I wear hoodies and stuff. Oh, I love backwards hat. Okay. Well, then I'll do it more. That's what I like. I don't think you're too old for that. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:58 Now, are you going to go to, like, Clairs? Hillary recommended that you only go, if I'm going to get this work done, to go to a tattoo shop. Oh, really? Hey, Morgan, number two, you're 26. If you see Amy with all the piercings and her ears, is she too old for that?
Starting point is 00:29:12 No, I don't think so. Yeah. Because I think I've given the cool vibe to the younger girls on the show. Oh, yeah? Why you were that cool? Well, maybe, did you see me? I don't think Morgan number two sees me as old as I am.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Oh, that's not a question you want to honestly ask. Be honest. Do you see me as old as I am? You can answer that as honest as you want. I don't think you are old. No, I would not refer to you as an old person, no. Perfect. You're 26.
Starting point is 00:29:41 You're 38. Do you see her more as... I'm almost 39, like in two months. Do you see her as more of a mom or a big sister? Big sister. I have an older sister that's her age, so definitely big sister. Perfect. I kind of see more as my mom.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Also perfect. I don't mind being that role. How do you feel about turning 39? I'm fine with it. I feel fine. I think turning 42. Oh, I can't wait for it just so I'm over. Mine's looming in April.
Starting point is 00:30:05 Especially if I'm going to be all young and hip with my earrings. Then you'll be like the hip 40-year-old. Right. Yeah. What's your husband think about that? I haven't told him. If he's listening right now, this is how he's finding out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:16 Here's the general rule. If it makes you feel good, do it. Okay. Well, yeah, I'm going to hit up a tattoo shop according to Hillary and get it done. Speaking of looks, Morgan number two comes in with no glasses today. She had her LASIC done. I did. And you were really worried about that.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I was. How to go? It was really good. I definitely was in recovery over the weekend and I'm still kind of seeing some halos over lights. But I'm feeling really good and I can see everything clearly and I don't have anything in. And it's so weird to me. Are you sure those halos aren't angels? Because Ramundo, when he went to a Christmas concert, he saw angels recently.
Starting point is 00:30:52 No, they're not angels. It's definitely something normal. You're like sensitive to light. a little bit afterwards. And we're going to get an update because she went on that date, right? Morgan number two went on a coffee date with Ph.D. Pete. Who called the show weeks ago and said, I'll fly to Nashville to take you on a coffee date. He flew from California to Nashville and they went out yesterday.
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yes. So Ph.D. Peter in one hour and we'll get the update. I think what we're going to have to do there is kick her out of the room and get his honest talk. because I don't want him feeling like he's got to say something because she's on the phone. Right? Okay. We'll put them both in isolation chambers.
Starting point is 00:31:32 And then if he's listening, he should go first. Do you think before she goes? Because if he hears her. Oh, that's fair. Okay. So PhD Peter in an hour. But you guys went. Yeah, we went.
Starting point is 00:31:42 How long was the date? Don't give anything away, but how long was the date? 30 minutes. That's it? What? Three minutes. My goodness. What?
Starting point is 00:31:49 What? But what time do you leave this morning? You replaced? Bobby? Absolutely not. Oh no. What? You never know.
Starting point is 00:31:58 You never know. Wait, 30 minutes. Are you angry about it? I'm not happy about it. What happened? Yeah. I don't know. PhD Peter in one hour.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Wait, I sense like an anger in your undertone. Why would you be angry? You agree to all of this. Yeah. Who's the anger towards? Is it Bobby or PhDP? There's not anger as much as there's more just frustrating. Well, that's on you, though.
Starting point is 00:32:25 You're just disappointed in your dating life, and you're taking that toward me. That was a little harsh. No, it's not. A little bit. I don't think that this is whatever happened, unless it was like something bad happened? Nothing bad happened. Okay, there you go. Then why would you be upset?
Starting point is 00:32:43 I was uncomfortable, and I don't like to be in uncomfortable situations. I like to be prepared, and I like to go into situations that I am. uncomfortable with. Mike D. was with you, right? He was. And his girlfriend? Yes.
Starting point is 00:32:57 And I loved hanging out with him. At the, on the date? Yes. Did they ever leave you guys? No. Oh, good. How'd you feel, Mike? Uncomfortable?
Starting point is 00:33:06 No, I wasn't uncomfortable. Was it awkward? No. There we go. See? Love it. Good. That's great.
Starting point is 00:33:14 What time's he coming on next hour? 20 after the next hour. Okay, so 58 minutes. Hey, Morgan number two is on a cranky mood this morning, huh? I'm not cranky. I'm doing just fine. I just think that the roles should be reversed now and I get to send you on a date.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Well, I didn't force you to go. Nobody forced you to go. And you agreed to him based on everyone, including yourself the first time he called. So it's not on any... I said I was open to it. I never said that I was 100% about it.
Starting point is 00:33:44 No one also forced you to go. You're the one that said I'll go. I was trying to be a good sport about it. Oh, I would just say no. I would be like, no, I'm not going. I like to think. think that I'm an open person and I like to be a good sport. Amy, what are your thoughts on this?
Starting point is 00:33:57 I think that this is maybe one of the, I think this is a growing moment from Morgan number two and the show in different circumstances you might be in and that you do have a choice to pick, but I totally understand where you're the good sport thing because I think early on, what I had to learn early on, in my career here is sometimes you're doing stuff because it pops up organically and you just either have to go with the flow because there's things that I did in the beginning where I felt like, oh, I got to be a good sport about this. And then I looked back and like, shoot, why did I agree to this? This is so uncomfortable and awful.
Starting point is 00:34:30 So you just have to learn what you're going to be comfortable with because it is all out there. And then you'll grow from it. You'll know next time you just need to put your foot down. You don't want to do it and say, I don't want to do it. So we're thinking this didn't go well? Yeah. We're getting the feelings. I mean, I can't read the tarant cards perfectly.
Starting point is 00:34:47 But I got a feeling this didn't go as wonderfully as we at hope. Right. Because you're right, Bobby. nobody forced her to go, but I totally understand her side of being on the radio, a situation arises. You kind of want to just go with the flow
Starting point is 00:35:02 and not seem like a stick in the mud and not want to do it. So you go with it and you do it and then you regret it. But you learn from it. And you'll learn next time to just say, if you really don't want to go, be like Bobby, I really don't want to go. So are we going, there's no love connection here?
Starting point is 00:35:15 Are we already claiming that? Is this poor guy know that it didn't go well? Pete's listening going, oh my goodness, I guess it didn't go as well. wonderfully. The guy probably thought it was a perfect date. Well, and to be fair, everyone in the room was in on the you should go. Yeah. Yeah. Don't hold it on me.
Starting point is 00:35:32 You and I are the only single one, so like you're kind of the only other one. I can hold it to, hold it to. Well, you're just wanting me to go out with somebody now to force it on me. Well, I would like to pick somebody for you because you kind of picked somebody for me. No, he called. You picked him. Oh, I bet if we open up the phone lines, we could get some. We could get some. And you know what? makes it feeling comfortable, I'm not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:35:52 I've learned. You're not a play. But they've done that to me before. I've had to go out with their people before. I've done the bit. Isn't that what dating's like though? Not knowing what a person is and then going out with them being like, that was terrible. There's a difference between a blind date and a date that you kind of know who somebody is.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I've done lunchbox that set me up before. Amy sent me up with listeners. Oh, I've done full-blown like dating shows. I've done it. It didn't go well. Many times. Let me tell you, it didn't go well. Right.
Starting point is 00:36:16 We learned from that. I had a learning experience from that. Yes. Everything's a learning experience. But yeah. Well. Can't wait to hear from Pete. Poor Pete.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Wherever he is right now. Is he back on West Coast? Oh, so he's not hearing us yet. So he's two hours behind. Oh, gosh. All right. Well, we'll get to that coming up in a little bit. What do you want to do?
Starting point is 00:36:42 What are my options? It says, if it feels good, do it. Does that mean cheating is okay? No, I'm talking about wearing something in the earlier conference. I get text from people. that if it feels good, do it. Oh, talking about the younger thing. But does that mean just eat, eat all you want?
Starting point is 00:36:55 No, I'm talking about if it's, you want to wear something and it makes you feel good and confident, wear it. You are as strong as you want to be with what you wear. Like people, like, I don't know if I can pull this off. You can pull off anything you want. It's true. It's all about confidence. Yeah. And if someone doesn't think that you can pull it off, well, that's on them.
Starting point is 00:37:12 Who cares? Like right now, I'm in a tankini and a hoodie. But you're owning it. But I'm owning it. All right. You can text the show too. I'm getting a lot of these. I said tarot card.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Terro. I'm sorry. Oh, is that right? I thought it was Territ. But I've... I thought it was Tarot. I don't know anything. Guess we didn't know.
Starting point is 00:37:31 You can text your message. The number is 26229. Standard message and data rates apply. Just text Bobby is the number to 26229. Wait, Bobby is the number. That's also 26229. Yes. Right.

Starting point is 00:41:32 Ramundo, what you got over there? In airline news in New Jersey, we're now learning about a United Airlines passenger who was arrested for allegedly trying to storm the plane's cockpit and also attacked a flight attendant and then injured six officials before he was finally arrested. In other news, they continue to battle the wildfires in Australia. Officials dropped 4,000 pounds of food to save the starving wildlife. And finally, tonight is the National Championship LSU Clemson at 7 Central. I'm a front of Dylan and Denver, who's on the show right now. Hey, Dylan, what's happening, dude?
Starting point is 00:42:08 How's your Monday going? Yeah, how's your Monday going? Good. Morning studio. Morning. Would you like to play the 60-second show? showdown. Man, I am in. I'm a first time, long time, so I'm down.
Starting point is 00:42:26 I appreciate you, Colin. We're going to give you the category of, it's the only one left, world geography. How do you feel about that? Ooh, man. All right, let's do it. So you're telling me you're not a geographer as trade, as your trade?
Starting point is 00:42:41 I am definitely not calling myself a geography, nor a geographer nor a world geographers. What do you do for a living? I work for a beer company I sell beer Nice You like that Eddie Good job
Starting point is 00:42:54 Yeah lot of demand Do you ever get to just drink your own beer Is it like You know Don't do your own stash No we do actually We get an allotment of our own beer Every month that we can
Starting point is 00:43:08 We can drink so So you just get beer And yeah Like wow How much free beer do they give you You know we get roughly It depends on what kind of beer you get, but roughly, you know, two or so cases a month. Cases?
Starting point is 00:43:25 Not a bad. Wow. So what if, though, you're driving around and you're done for the day, you've delivered everything? You've delivered everything, and you probably get Uber on the way home, and you're just like, I'd like to have a cold one. Can you just get in the back of the truck and pulling out and drink it? I mean, some people probably do. I choose not to because I like my job, and I don't prefer to drink and drive. But I'm sure there are a lot of people that do.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Because I have friends that are pharmacists, and they watch those pills so much, you can't do that. Like, you couldn't take a couple for yourself. Oh, yeah. I just wonder if they look at those beers. No, I'm just asking, though. I don't know. A little different. At the end of every month, you get a bottle of pills.
Starting point is 00:44:04 A pill and a brew dog. I'm not talking about the pills. I'm saying, do they watch over how many beers are being taken? Who's watching the inventory? Yes. You know, it's funny. After a long day of looking at beer, oftentimes beer is the last thing. you want, sort of counterintuitively.
Starting point is 00:44:20 But yeah. Okay, I doubt that. Eddie's questioning that. It's like fake news. He's supposed to say that because he works out of beer. I didn't say anything about spirits. I didn't say anything about spirits at the end of the day. But beer, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:33 All right, Dylan's on in Denver right now. We're going to do world geography. You have 60 seconds to answer all 10 questions right. If you get it right, averaging one question per six seconds, you want 100 bucks in my cash. Dylan, are you ready? I am ready. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:44:46 The timer starts at the end. end to the first question. Question number one. On which continent would you find the Sahara Desert? Africa. Correct. What's the capital of England? Correct. What continent has the largest population? Asia. Correct. What's the capital of Italy? What's the longest river in Africa? The Nile. Correct. The Taj Mahal is located in what country? India. Correct. Dublin is the largest city in what country? Ireland. Nice. Correct. Which Italian city is famous for its canals? Correct. Beijing is the capital of what country?
Starting point is 00:45:34 China. Correct. How many colors are in the German flag? Correct. What's the capital city of Italy? Paris. Time to spare. I got so pumped for Dylan. I was rooting for him. I started to go nice. Is that it correct? You got it? I was like, nice. Oh my gosh. And it's my money. I should root against you. I start rooting for them.
Starting point is 00:46:10 I don't know the answer. The capital of Italy, Dylan, do you know it now without the pressure on. The capital of Italy is... It is on the count of three. Do you know what Amy? No. Amy, do you know it?
Starting point is 00:46:25 I think I do. What? Rome? Yeah. It's a Rome. But I don't know that I would have gotten that under pressure. Well, you got to come back to it. He had three shots out of it, really?
Starting point is 00:46:36 Yeah. He said Paris. Dylan, you crushed it, man. I know you're not a world geography. But you did great. You got nine out of ten and you had time to spare. Man. When he got Venice, I was like he's going to go back and he's going to get Rome.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And how many, you got the German flag colors? Yeah, what? Did you know that? Or did you just guess three? No, I knew it. It's what it's orange, black, and yellow. Oh, yeah, that's right.
Starting point is 00:47:01 Look at this guy. Man. Look at you. Look at you. Listen. I'm color black. So when people say what color it is, I'm like, yeah, of course. For that one.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Yeah. The yellow, red, black. Oh, yeah, maybe. Dylan, I appreciate your call. you did a great job. You didn't win, but I appreciate the time that you spent with us this morning. Yes. Now, thank you guys for everything you do. I listen to you guys every day on the way to work,
Starting point is 00:47:23 and appreciate all the good you put out to the world, and you kind of reaffirm my hope that there are still good people out there. Thank you for everything, and appreciate you guys. That's how we let people down. People start thinking, we're going. Yeah. Oh, boy. All right, there he is.
Starting point is 00:47:37 Dylan, everybody. It's a Bobby Bones show. It's time for our game, Amy versus Lunchbox. ask Amy three dude questions. Ask lunchbox three women questions, and we see who does the best. Here we go. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Today, Liam Hemsworth turns 30 years old. Are you familiar with Liam Hemsworth? I know he has a twin brother. I don't know which one's which. No idea what he's in, or is he the one of them store, I think. What movie is Liam most known for? Liam Hemsworth. What movie is he most known for?
Starting point is 00:48:14 The only thing I know is Thor, so I'll say Thor. I don't know which one it is. Amy, Liam Hemsworth. I have trouble with them, too, with differentiating them. Liam was married to Miley. Okay. Chris is Thor. I thought he was going to ask me who they was married to.
Starting point is 00:48:30 I had that. So Liam's most famous movie is? For this deal? Oh, my gosh. Some of the Nicholas Spark movie with Miley. Oh, the Hunger Games. Oh, he was. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:48:46 He was in that. I'm an idiot. Okay, carry on. Lunchbox. What popular diet company is Oprah now part owner of? Oh, that's WW. Judges? That's right. You're not the judge.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Oh, I know, but I mean, if the judge that it wasn't at the correct deal. Is that the new name? I saw the commercial. It's not. It's weight watcher still, like the company. The new way to say it is WW. Lunchbox. What do you call the process in which you oil and heat your cast iron cookware
Starting point is 00:49:16 to preserve it. What do you call the process in which you oil and heat your cast iron cookware to preserve it? Amy has her hands on her head. She's making Godzilla sounds because I think she knows it, but she can't find it. Because I can't think of it. What about it? Oh, I mean, I've never even heard of this. So my wife is obviously not taking care of, I don't even know if we have cast iron cookware.
Starting point is 00:49:42 I'll say cleaning it. Cleaning. Amy? Oh, my dad is going to be so mad at me right now because I'm like, in my head, I'm like, prime it, but that's not it. It's where you, I mean, you put it and then you couldn't put it in the oven and you heat it. And sir? Prime it.
Starting point is 00:50:01 No, it's called seasoning. Seasoning, that's it. Did you know that? Yes. I didn't. I don't really. I'm not good at it. And I have to always, I'm too scared.
Starting point is 00:50:09 I'm going to mess up my cast iron skillet because my dad, if you do it just right, you can make it the perfect skillet. forever. But if you mess it up, you mess it up. Well, Luxemarks has one point after his round. Amy has zero points. Ah, he just, horrible. All right. Amy, here we go. Three questions. These are all dude questions. We Google, what are dude trivia questions? What car part charges your battery when your car is running? What? I know this one, and I don't know much of our cars, and even I know this one.
Starting point is 00:50:43 What car part charges your battery when your car is running? Wow, I didn't even know that a car part did that. The alternator. How did you do that? I have no idea. Wow. That's amazing. Good guess.
Starting point is 00:51:10 The fact that I couldn't think of Hunger Games and seasoning and I know both of those, and I just guessed on that one, that makes you feel good. Amy, question number two. Yeah. are types of what? Extension,
Starting point is 00:51:28 step, and A frame are types of what? Roofs! Stealing? Lunchbox you can now steal. Ladders. Yes, an extension ladder the time that goes through.
Starting point is 00:51:40 The step ladder and the A frame is one that pulls out. I guess not that I think about that. Two to one. Shoot. Amy. What? Pitching, gap, and sand,
Starting point is 00:51:53 and lob are types of what? Pitching, gap, sand and lob are types of what? I don't know, it sounds like it has to do with golf. What is your answer?
Starting point is 00:52:08 Pitching, sand Gap and lob are types of what? Golf clubs. What? That's crazy. Yes! Oh, okay, we'll do one sudden death question each.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Lunchbox. What color is charreuse a shade of? Purple. No. Amy? Red. No, green. Well, I don't know colors, period.
Starting point is 00:52:36 I don't even know. Chartreuse. Amy, you can win this one. All you have to do is nail this question. Are you ready? Ready. John McLean is a main character in what popular movie and action franchise.
Starting point is 00:52:49 John McLean. John McLean? For the win. I don't know. Fast in the Furies. Lunchbox still? John Wick. No, die hard.
Starting point is 00:53:00 Oh, I don't know what character, Bruce. John Wicks is John Wick. Jack Reacher. Okay. We'll do one more. We'll do one more. We'll do one more. Okay, ready?
Starting point is 00:53:13 Lunchbox? Yeah. Well, which movie does Julia Roberts have a famous bubble bath scene? Julia Roberts? That's the one Amy likes where she's a... What do you call it? Oh, my gosh. What is that called?
Starting point is 00:53:33 Or? Pretty woman. Oh, nice. Yes. Gosh, I could not think of the name. Amy, you have to get this to stay in. If you get it, we're just going to call this a tie. If you don't, lunchbox wins.
Starting point is 00:53:43 Okay? Just go ahead and miss it, Amy. Which. In, it says which of these is, I'm just going to say, what is the typical air pressure for a car tire in pounds? Should I, there be options there? Oh, that's hard. Dude, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:53:57 Dude. That's hard because there are different. It's really hard. But it says which of these is typical air pressure for a car tire. This question's been wrong. I'm going to go to one that you're not going to get either. The Dallas Cowboys hired a new head coach last week.
Starting point is 00:54:11 Yeah, they did. What's his last name? You know the same. Yeah, I do. Sanders. Oh, wow. Deandle. It's Mike McCarthy.
Starting point is 00:54:21 And three tiebreakers. Lunchbox is the winner. There he is. And they stay there. And they stay there. And they stay there. Nice win, nice win. Oh, stressful.
Starting point is 00:54:43 The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Wood. Morgan number two, 30-second skinny. Kane Brown and John Legend collaborated on a new song. Together, they shared the news on social media saying the full version will be out ASAP. Here's a teaser. The best I can do, I won't say I'm sorry. Pop artist Halsey released a new song over the weekend and shared on social media that the song is a nod to her idols that include Carrie Underwood and Shania Twain, both of which
Starting point is 00:55:17 saw the tweet and thanked Halsey for thanking of them. Carrie Underwood even said they should write together next time Halsey is in Nashville. Tim McGraw narrated the NFL team, the Tennessee Titans new commercial that aired over the weekend. Here it is. Destroying everything in its way. But occasionally, the path you need to take isn't the initial route you plan. Sometimes.
Starting point is 00:55:39 Looks like you hit a dead end. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. A charity group in Texas set a goal of having 100% of third graders in the city to be proficient readers by 2025. And to help accomplish the goal, all these leaders in the community came together.
Starting point is 00:56:02 And all together, all in, they raised 130,000 books to all the elementary schools in the district. Oh, wow. Which is a lot of books. Read Fort Worth got together, raised the money. They distributed the books to 84 different schools. That donation ensured that every pre-kindergarten 3rd, 3rd, 3rd,000, second grade teacher would have 50 to 100 new books for their individual libraries. Love that.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Hey, I would like to put a little challenge, a reading challenge here, to Eddie, actually. Because I don't read? Well, it's not that you don't read because whatever. That's on you and up to you. But I know you want to read more. Yes. And I've heard you say, man, I'd like to read more stuff. And I think that's what most people.
Starting point is 00:56:42 I wish I read more and I read every night just about. Yeah. I would like for you to do for the next two weeks, the 15 minute reading challenge. And that's 15 minutes a night? That's it. For a day, a night, whatever. But you just have to read for 15 minutes and that's it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:00 But you have to find a book that you're interested in. I did start the Bible. No. I started that last year and then I stopped about two weeks in. No, you need a book. Did you try the one-year Bible plan? No, no, I didn't. I think that's great, but you're not going to read that the same way you would be
Starting point is 00:57:14 if you were like reading a book that you were into. Right. So find, take a couple days. Well, my mother-in-law gave me 1984, George Orwell. No, I've read that too recently again. It's not that good. I read it again to kind of go, oh, boy,'s earth ending again. Yeah, that's why she gave it to me.
Starting point is 00:57:28 Find something you're interested in like a biography of a guy in music. Or Hunger Games or something. Like Anthony Keatis biography or slash or... Okay. And then just read it 15 minutes a night. Oh, well... So until tomorrow come in and tell us what book you're going to do. You got it. And then for three weeks...
Starting point is 00:57:44 weeks. You read 15 minutes a night. You got it. And then I bet you you have a new respect for reading and also saying that you don't have to read a whole book in a week to actually feel like you're getting something from it. Okay. I think a lot of people, it's a daunting task to go, wow, I've got to read the whole book. I don't even read. This is like starting to train for a marathon. You walk a mile. And I love that you're telling me something good about making all third graders read inspired you to get me to read. Yes. That's true. What am I going to say? Oh, I think what's the Malcolm Gladroll book you read recently, the Talking to Strangers or whatever. What is it called? Is that what it's called? Talking, that's what I, he was on Oprah's
Starting point is 00:58:22 Super Soul Conversation or something. He did like a quick thing about it. And I was like, it sounds so interesting. Like, should, is that a book? I mean, you recommend it. If that's something you want to read, you have to find what you're interested in and go down that path. I know, but we recommend it for me because I'm about to, I wrote it down. Should I get it? If you're curious about it, sure. Okay. I was curious about it when you talked about it. And then when he was on with Oprah, I was even more curious about it. And so now I'm like, I'm going to ask Bobby if I should get it. Right now, I've got three books going.
Starting point is 00:58:51 I got Winter Takes All. I got everything is effed. And then I've got... That one sounds good. And then I had a friend... Did you read that one? Yeah, it's so good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:01 I love that book. And then I am... A friend gave me a hillbilly elegy, which I never read. And he was like, just read it. It's basically your life. And so now I've just started that. He'll be what? Hobilly elegy.
Starting point is 00:59:14 Okay. That's a great book. I just get them all mixed up on my head reading more than one. But then I get bored with them. If I'm just reading one over time. I know. I have book ADD. Well, I'm going to try my best with just one.
Starting point is 00:59:24 Just one. No, you should. Don't do what I do because I'm stupid. Okay. There it is. And Eddie's Challenge. And that's Tell Me Something Good. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:59:31 That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show. Boney up the day. This story comes us from Lancaster, Kentucky. A 47-year-old man was upset. girlfriend was being arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was like, officers, take me to jail too. They're like, sir, you've done nothing wrong.
Starting point is 00:59:49 So he went out to the car and goes, look, stolen laptop, take me to jail. I need to support my girlfriend. Oh my gosh. So in a weird way, if he would have said, no, that's my controlled substance. Take me instead of her. That's better. That would have been the romantic notion. But going, take me as well.
Starting point is 01:00:07 You're not even putting the same cell. Nothing is going, you're not taking anything off of her. But she won't be alone there. He'll be there. At least on the ride, maybe they won't be alone. I don't know how they separate men and women at jail, but... They don't go in the same hole. Was he in recess, lunchtime, workout?
Starting point is 01:00:22 None of that. None of that. It just is... I understand his initial thought. He was trying. But it is makes no sense whatsoever. Okay. I'm Lunchbox.

By the way, good morning, guys. Glad you guys came here. I was, Amy, I was talking to Kaylee Dickerson,
Starting point is 01:04:30 who's Russell Dickerson's wife. We were doing a podcast together. And she said, do you know the song if the world was ending by J.P. Sacks and Julia Michaels? And I said, I, I do. So here's a clip of this song, the original. But if the world was end and you come over right. And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. And she was like, well, she said, do you know Hannah Ellis? And I said, I don't know her, but I've put her in the female show that you host.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Yeah. And she goes, well, her and this guy named Nick Wayne do a version that is, in my opinion, as good as that. And I was like, really? So I listened to it. And I listen to it like, well, this is what I have my guys, listen like 100 times. Because when I find this something I like, it doesn't matter what it is. I'm all over it. And so I posted it on my Instagram story
Starting point is 01:05:13 and I tagged both of you guys. Not knowing, by the way, that you two were dating. I just thought you guys like met on the streets. Oh, y'all are dating? Yeah, yeah. How awkward is it going to be when they're not? No, I don't get it. So, and it's so good.
Starting point is 01:05:26 This song is so good. And let me ask you this because, Nick, why did you cover this song? Why did you guys pick to cover this song? You know, Hannah played me the song on Friday, and I was probably making coffee or something. I wasn't really listening to it. we filmed something on Saturday for her an acoustic thing
Starting point is 01:05:41 and Devin Dawson texted me and he was like have you heard this J.P. Sax guy? He's like, he just released a song with Julia Michaels but listened to his whole discography on Spotify. So I went and checked it out and I was like, oh my gosh, I love this. Well, the guy that actually does the acoustic room was there with us filming for Hannah and he was like, hey, if y'all wanted to do this cover, I would love to do this.
Starting point is 01:06:03 And so that's kind of how it came about and we went home. We were like, why not? You know? I mean, for him, you know, he does massive top 40 stuff to try and build, obviously. So you don't know if this is going to be like an actual radio hit or not. But he's like, I would just love to hear you guys sing it and whatever. And so that's kind of how it came about. Well, it's so good. And again, I probably had listened to the original thing more than 10 or 11 times.
Starting point is 01:06:25 I just love Julia Michaels. I don't even know who he was at the time. Exactly, yeah. And so then I heard you guys, and I was like, oh, man, it's that rare song that is slightly different, but it holds up. And so this song, Hannah, when you heard the song, what do you think this song was a? about? Like what resonated with you? I mean, I just loved, I mean, obviously, it's just two Californians singing about an earthquake. But, I mean, I think for me, it was just about the fact that two people that feel like they don't
Starting point is 01:06:49 belong together. And yet, at the same time, they're like, in my last dying moment, I would want to spend it with you, no matter what. And that's what I took to. Like, hey, maybe it wasn't going to work. But if, like, it's over, I'd rather spend this last moment with you than anyone else. Totally. And so they're going to play this now. Here's Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne. this is, it's so good This is called If the world
Starting point is 01:07:09 If the world was ending or over Isn't it over? If the world was ending. Is it ending? Okay, I was wrong. It's a whole different song. I was doing a different song then. If the world was ending
Starting point is 01:07:20 And here is Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne. Hey guys, so because of licensing rules, we can't play anything with music on this Iheart radio channel or podcast anymore but you can go to bobbybones.com to see it. We hate that we had to take it down. It wasn't our decision. But I just wanted to keep you up
Starting point is 01:07:36 and we wanted to keep up as much as possible. So go to bobbybones.com to watch or hear whatever you're missing right now. And thank you for listening to the show. And sorry about all the legal stuff. That's so good. Dang, that is so good. Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne. Hannah, you went to University of Kentucky?
Starting point is 01:07:55 I did. What did you study in school? It's a really long name. It's called Integrated Strategic Communications. But basically, it's like a marketing and PR degree, kind of all in one. Opposite of music? Opposite of music. Did you do that because you were going to get a degree in case, or did you change to go to music, or what happened?
Starting point is 01:08:13 No, no. I kind of saw my dad's an entrepreneur, and so, well, first I went pre-med for my first semester because that was my just-in-case. And I was like, never mind, I'm committing to music. And I see myself as a business. And so I was like, what better degree to have than marketing and PR if I'm the business, right? And Nick, what did you do? What kind of jobs you have? I laid carpet.
Starting point is 01:08:35 My mom's got a business here. They moved here from Indiana and moved here for music, but then started a kind of custom rugs is what it's called, my mom. So I worked for her for 10 years right out of high school, and, you know, music finally could pay for something around, you know, 10 years later after 17. So, yeah. This is Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne,
Starting point is 01:08:57 and Hannah has been featured on our Women of IHart Country Show a few times. And we've played your song Friends Like These, which is a super cool song. Can you play just a little bit of that? Can you play it like a little of just? What do you want to do? As they're figuring it out, I would encourage you to check out, check out this song, Friends Like These from Hannah Ellis. And if she comes around to your town, go see or perform to,
Starting point is 01:09:20 you guys want to hit some of that? Let's show the chorus. So you're from Campbellsville, Kentucky? I am. Have you read Hillbilly Elegie? Do you know the book? No, I have not. The whole, he's from Kentucky and he's talking about the hills.
Starting point is 01:09:33 And it's because I'm from a small town in Arkansas. Right. But yeah, no, he's from near that area too when he wrote the book. Yeah. And you're from here, Nick? I am, yeah. Just kind of Laverne, Nolensville area. What's your address exactly? So our listeners come see you. Well, I'm not there anymore. I'm downtown now. Okay, well, great.
Starting point is 01:09:52 Even closer. At Nick Wayne Music is his Instagram. Nick, you have a song called Drunk Again. Yeah, man. Which actually is on that too. Yes, she is. She lended her voice. Can you play us like a verse and chorus? Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:10:05 I just want to give a listen to a taste of new music from you guys. They're new artists here. It's great. Okay. Thank you. You've given us a whole show today. Done it all. What else do you have requests for them?
Starting point is 01:10:17 Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne. On Instagram, she's Hannah Gray Ellis, G-R-E-Y. Hannah Gray Ellis and Nick is Nick Wayne music. I appreciate you guys coming by. Thank you so much for having us. Fans of you both. I love the if the world was ending that you guys did. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:10:33 And also, a big shout out to Kaylee Dickerson, who was like, Absolutely. Because, I mean, that was just her in a conversation going to check it out. I checked it out. We DM'd you guys. We love them so much. So there we go. All right.
Starting point is 01:10:43 Well, I think we'll let you guys get about your day. It's a little early for you. So now you can go back to bed. Right. You can start your normal musician day at about 1 p.m. today. All right, Hannah Ellis and Nick Wayne, everybody. Thank you. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:10:54 It's a Bobby Bon Show. I got posted that he found out a woman was dating him just for free meals. We've heard about this on the internet where girls will set up and go on dates and then just eat and then they won't call the guy back or they'll go back a few times but really they just want the free meal and so he took her
Starting point is 01:11:10 to a very expensive restaurant and then ditched her so she was stuck with the bill how do you feel about that that's like just how do you feel about that kind of justice? I mean it's not hurting hurting anybody
Starting point is 01:11:22 and if he's... What do you mean it's not hurting anybody? Well if he found out because he's not harming her in any way leaving her with a very expensive bill that she wasn't expecting to pay she knew she was doing
Starting point is 01:11:34 that to him all along. So she probably should be like, okay, fine, I deserve this. Oh, you think she just took it and deserved it? I bet she did it. After a few dates, one of their mutual friends sent him a screenshot of some text from her where she was just using the guy for free food and she was bragging about it. See, that's... That's where they always, they brag about it.
Starting point is 01:11:52 And he says she wasn't in a bad financial situation. Okay, we'll see. He said she would wear pricey clothes and have two Chanel bags. But I'm going to say this, because you're wearing expensive stuff and have expensive stuff, that don't mean you have money. That's true. So he took a drink Expensive restaurant
Starting point is 01:12:06 They both ate Drink and then he had to go to the bathroom But when he was the bathroom He just didn't come back He says he started getting Furious texts from her 45 minutes later Because she had to pay the bill Actually
Starting point is 01:12:19 She had to call her mom To come pay the bill Because she'd have any money Oh, that's horrible So you're okay with it You say you're okay with it But you're okay with it You're okay with it
Starting point is 01:12:30 You're okay with it I'm not saying it's the most mature way to handle it, but I could see how he was scorned. And he reacted. Oh, I say it's karma. It's tit for tat or what do you say? Reap what you sow.
Starting point is 01:12:41 You want to treat someone like crap? You're going to get treated like crap. Boom. Take that woman. You want to try to be pull a fast one on me. You know what? You say, Bobby, that. Hope he got dessert.
Starting point is 01:12:50 You can react or respond. He react. He reacted. I think he responded. He thought about this. He thought about it. He planned that out. He got revenge.
Starting point is 01:13:01 Here's what I'm going to say about. Not just the situation. but situations in general. Okay. And it's the old adage, two wrongs don't make it right. If you do find out she's screwing you over like that, you just stop dating her. And you send her a note, hey, I see what you've been doing. That's not cool.
Starting point is 01:13:15 I'm not going to go out with you again. You don't do it back. You don't. I know it's funny. You kind of want to. I know you do it, just because you want something and it makes you feel short-term good doesn't mean it's the best long-term play for you. You're right.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Both for your heart, for, are you a good person? Then you shouldn't do that back. Revenge isn't always the best thing. You can just send a message and go, hey, I found out what you did. That is not cool. We're not going to go out again. I bet that stings are a bit too. You don't have to do her like this.
Starting point is 01:13:44 She probably deserves something. She's probably going to get it in some way. Well, this way. She got it this way. But I'm not for it. I'm not for an eye for an eye. Tit for tat or as you say. Well, as you say.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Morgan number two, what do you think about this? You're dating. I mean, I think she deserves it. Okay. Yeah. I think she does, okay, deserving it is one thing, but would you, are you okay with him doing that to her? I mean, yeah, I don't think you, you do, you say those things and do that to somebody and then it doesn't come back to bite you in some way. So, yeah, I mean, I just, I think it goes both ways.
Starting point is 01:14:21 If it were reverse, I'd say it's fine too, so. We wouldn't do it, Bobby. Oh, course not. Yeah. Yeah. There's not a wrong answer here. All I'm going to say is on the, on the big round, wide side of things that just because somebody, does you wrong, that doesn't mean you have to do them wrong back.
Starting point is 01:14:37 What that means is, like Jesus did, he turned the other cheek. Don't make me hit you with Jesus. Yeah, he can never win. That's why Jesus is the best and we're not. I know it. That's why we ask for forgiveness after we do it. That's true. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:14:55 So Hines has a new mashup condiment and I'm kind of excited about it. It's called Honey Racha. It's Honey Plus Saracha. Is that how you say it? Yeah, is it like a honey mustard? Or is it like honey you put in your tea? Honey spicy. So it'll be for, it's condiment for, I don't know,
Starting point is 01:15:12 I feel like you could put this on a lot of different things. Because people that are obsessed with saracha, put it on meats or other side dishes and different things, but this will give it like a sweet kick. I'm into it. I like honey and saracha. Separately? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:25 So mixed together? I don't know. It would be so fun to come up with some of these concoctions. You can make it at home. It doesn't cost anything. They're going to feature it in a Super Bowl ad, and it'll hit shelf soon. Oh, Honey Racha.
Starting point is 01:15:38 Heinz, Honey Racha, Saucie, Saucy Sauce. Yeah. So, Bobby, you have all those things you're allergic to, right? You got all those tests done and you're allergic to dogs. And I take medicine every morning to limit how allergic I am to my current dog. Because I am allergic to dogs. I never knew I was allergic to my last dog. But yes, why?
Starting point is 01:15:58 Well, because I saw this thing that said there's a 30% chance. You're only allergic to male dogs. And Stanley's amazing. I have a dude dog, yeah. So if you had a female dog, you may not have to take that pill every day. I would anyway. And the doctor said, hey, do you have a dog? I said, yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:12 He said, you're probably not going to not have a dog ever in your life, even if I told you were allergic. And I was like, that is correct. And he said, okay, well, you need to take this every morning. So every morning, because I go to my little cupboard and have six things I have to take when I wake up. Everything from three allergy meds, I take a nasal, and I take two pills, one for dog, and I take my fiber, because I don't have enough.
Starting point is 01:16:35 fiber in my life. I take a different nose spray that's just so much. I just go on to spend all this time there. I take some sort of pill that I don't even know what it does. Probiotic? But Bobo was like, you should take this pill. Oh, is that a NAD pill? I don't, no, I get that stuff differently.
Starting point is 01:16:54 Excuse me? But yeah, my nads are too small. No, it's called N-A-D. Okay. All right, what else? Okay, so new dating show for you, if you're interested. So ABC is developing a music-centric version of The Bachelor, where the eligible singles will date, live together, and sing songs together. It's premiering on April 13th, and pretty much there's going to be 20 single men and women.
Starting point is 01:17:20 They'll cover songs individually, but then they'll also sing together as a couple, and they'll explore relationships while they're in the house. You know, there's also a dating show. Maybe it's on Fox called Flirty Dancing. Oh, is Sharna doing that? Yeah. And I remember when she was taping. it and she was like yeah we're because that Jenna DeWan who was with Channing Tatum yeah is the host of
Starting point is 01:17:39 the show and she was a dancer like a trained dancer and I think she met Channing uh step up to the that's exactly it and so Sharna like choreographs with the people and I think they dance flirty dancing and see if they are compatible there oh yeah yeah yeah you do like flirty dog walking it would be interesting flirty Arkansas Razorback game watching that would be a star that would be Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, anything else? Yes, I'm Amy. That's my pile.
Starting point is 01:18:08 That was Amy's pile of stories. Come on. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So there's this family that has this dog, Zeus, and they live in Montana, and a supposed family friend stole their dog and took off. Obviously not a real good friend.
Starting point is 01:18:27 Went to West Virginia on the run with the dog. Well, they tracked him down, found them. them, but then they realized, okay, you're a bad person, we need our dog back. But West Virginia, Montana, 2,000 miles away, well, there's a group called Mini Paul's Volunteer Transport Team, and what they do is they rally people across the country to form a relay team to get animals back where they need to be, because not everybody can just go hop in the car and drive 2,000 miles, because then you've got to go back as well. So you get people that can go, you know, hey, can you go 100 miles today and then turn on and go back? And then you have a meeting point,
Starting point is 01:19:02 Basically, it's puppy hitchhiking. It is. It worked. They got Zeus back. 15 volunteers traveled 2,000 miles across nine states in four days to get Zeus home. Wow. A lot of infrastructure in this, too. Yeah, there's probably so much logistics and planning.
Starting point is 01:19:18 I bet somebody on their either baby work for UPS, FedEx, Amazon. You're assuming all this? Well, I don't know. Like, there's so much that goes into that. That's a good story. I'm glad they got their dog bag. What kind of person steals a dog? Not a good person.
Starting point is 01:19:35 Especially someone that's a supposed friend. Remove that title. All right, that's Tell Me Something Good. There you go. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:19:49 Let's go. Let's go. The morning corny. What are the strongest days of the week? What are the strongest days of the week? Saturday and Sunday. Sunday. The rest are weekdays. Oh.
Starting point is 01:20:13 That's funny. Boy, Eddie thinks that's the funniest thing he's ever heard. That's a great week because they're not strong. Yeah. That was the morning corny. The Bobby Bono show. Remember we had Caleb on. He scored perfect on his ACT. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:29 My hero. Yes. 17 years old lives in Cab at Arkansas. And on his Instagram, I was able to finally see his scores. He posted him up there. English, 36. Mathematics, 36, and 36 is the highest you can get. He's on the phone now, and Caleb, how are you, bud?
Starting point is 01:20:45 I'm doing well, how are you? I'm good. It's our second time to talk to each other. Now, what's life been like after you were a big star on the show and all Americans falling in love with you? Oh, man, I mean, the Instagram has definitely taken off since then. He helped me out a lot on there. Well, Amy came to me and said, hey, you know, Caleb was on our show,
Starting point is 01:21:06 and I think he had 400 followers or so. Around 400 he started with, and now it's in the thousands, right? Yes, ma'am. I got to like 2,000 last night. It was crazy. I didn't know I'd expect that at all. Are you getting DMs from anyone, girls, you know, a guy? Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of people just saying congratulations and stuff, which is awesome.
Starting point is 01:21:30 I really appreciate it. Everybody told me what a good job I did, and, I mean, it feels kind of crazy. I just took a test, but No, you didn't just take a test. You scored perfectly. You scored perfect. Did you study like to take the test,
Starting point is 01:21:46 not so much the material that it might be, but how to take the test? Kind of. I mean, definitely went through the test booklet that the ACT makes
Starting point is 01:21:56 and just studying the questions and the type of question, seeing what they ask and knowing what I need to know. That helped out a lot. On the phone with us now, is Caleb Mallet. By the way, follow him on Instagram. Caleb Mallet 32 is his name. C-A-L-E-L-L-E-T-T-T-T. Now, Caleb is the oldest of five. Oh, wow. And so his younger sister is a sophomore, and she took her
Starting point is 01:22:22 ACT-T's, right? Yes, sir. And how did she do as a 10th grader? She got a 31. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Y'all's parents must be so proud. But what is your parents like an astro-nuclear physicist? What's happening here? I don't know. They just raised it. this the right way. I had a reading all the time when we were little and always made sure we put academics first and it paid off, I guess. Wow. Do either one of your parents have a job in academics at all?
Starting point is 01:22:53 No, sir. My mom's a nurse practitioner. My dad's a business manager at our church. That's so cool. Yeah, that's so cool that he didn't come from biologist parents. He came from parents who just said education is really important. Right. And I can tell that your parents also instilled manners.
Starting point is 01:23:14 Oh, yes ma'ams. Yes, ma'am. Yeah, and I'm working on that with my kids, and I know it's not easy. So I'm proud of you. Well, he's also 17 and not 9, or not 10. I know, but at 17 still even like. But I hit yes ma'ams and no man's. I'm from Arkansas.
Starting point is 01:23:29 I think that's Arkansas. Oh, well. Yeah, Arkansas born and race. That's what we learned. Are you a hog fan, Caleb? Oh, yes, sir. All right, good. Okay, well, listen, I just wanted to catch back up and see how it was going since you came on the show.
Starting point is 01:23:42 And you kind of took over the show. People couldn't stop talking about you. Oh, man. That's unbelievable, honestly. It's just, God. Nothing I could have ever imagined. Any girls at school kind of hit you up and go, hey, maybe I'd like to go to prom with you. I haven't heard anything from girls at school, but you never know.
Starting point is 01:24:02 Maybe they'll hear this again and they'll get more interested. They'll know you're available. Kayla, I'm looking at a picture of you in a tux here. And who is this girl that you're with here on your Instagram? Well, which one? One's my prom from last year and then one's home coming this year. And so what happened to her? We're just friends.
Starting point is 01:24:25 We just went to the dance together for that. He's in a tux? He's looking good. How tall are you, Caleb? Thank you. Six women. Oh, wow. So imagine my height, and that's the same as him.
Starting point is 01:24:35 But 17 really, really smart. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, what do you say? Maybe just 17. You are very, very smart, but he got a 36. I know, he's way smarter than I am. Okay, Caleb, if you ever come to Nashville, let me know you can come up here and hang out on the show, okay, bud?
Starting point is 01:24:51 Sweet, yes, sir, thank you. And because I would like to further his education, I'm going to send him a signed book of mine. Oh, wow. Oh, man. I'm going to say, because he's so smart, I want to help him. And he likes to read. Yeah, I'm going to send.
Starting point is 01:25:05 Caleb, I'm going to send you a sign book, my last book called Fail Until You Don't, and I'll write you a little note in there because I'm proud of you, man. Yes, thank you very much. Let me know, because I think you have our producer's number. Let me know when you finally get a date to prom. Okay, I will let you know. And when is prom? We'll see, maybe Lauren Elaine will hit me up.
Starting point is 01:25:22 Has she hit you? Okay, see, I like him shooting a shot right now. Has she hit you up at all, or has anyone messaged you? I haven't heard anything, but I'm waiting. Okay. I can be patient. When is prom? February 15th.
Starting point is 01:25:34 Oh, that's coming up. quick. Listen, I'll speak for Lauren, because Lauren and I, she is really one of my dearest friends. That's probably a little too quick for her. Hey, look at Lauren's tour real quick. She has a, it's called like that girl as me tour or something like that. Can someone pull that up? And let me see where she is at this time because maybe she is on the road and we can just put it.
Starting point is 01:25:57 But you should also just go on and be like, no, I'm looking for. Okay, wait, what's the date? February 15th. February 15th. The day after Valentine's Day. Is there anything? She's in, oh, she is in Spokane, Washington. Oh.
Starting point is 01:26:11 Oh, man. What a shame. Yeah. Oh, bummer. What a shame. Well, we can, look, you're going to get a date. Okay. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:21 I guess so. I'll find somebody. All right, bud. Go to school. Do your deal. Everybody follow Caleb Mallet, two L's and two T's. Caleb Mallet 32. And we'll talk to you soon, all right, bud?
Starting point is 01:26:32 Your first. That was good. All right. See you later. Bye, bye. Starting point is 01:29:35 Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. Yeah, because my episode of Running Wild with Bear Girls is tomorrow night at 10.9 central. Did you know Bear was the youngest person to ever get to the top of Mount Everest? No. I think it's what it is.
Starting point is 01:30:35 What? The summit, he was 28. I didn't even know he summited it. Mm-hmm. He's once, and I'm not sure the story exactly from him, but I was reading the story about how he was doing jumping. Because he's a special, like, special services guy. Yeah. Like British special forces.
Starting point is 01:30:53 Yeah. That kind of thing. Something. Whatever it is. I don't know the difference. Whatever is. He's awesome. But he jumps out of an airplane and his parachute doesn't open right.
Starting point is 01:30:59 and it only partially opens and he notices this that he's falling a little too fast so he's trying to get out of it and it never fully opens and he lands his back into the sand almost full speed with just partial parachute
Starting point is 01:31:12 and luckily he hit the parachute on his back when he landed and he said he thought he was dead but yeah nuts I was terrifying I was reading some of this stuff last night because I was going to have a mind to talk about the show but I don't care to talk about me
Starting point is 01:31:26 I'd like to talk about him and then also be like oh watch show tonight. And I don't know where he is in the world, but he's like, he's like, oh, go, I get to a landline. Can I move it back 30 minutes? Because he can be anywhere. You're right. Mike, do we know where Barrett Girls is when we talk to him? He's in some weird part of the world. So that'll be on tomorrow's show. I was watching this clip of Family Feud Canada. And so they go to the final round of this, the speed round, where there are two people up at the thing where they slap the counter. And the question
Starting point is 01:31:59 is about Papa, you know, I'm Popeye to say la ma'am. That guy? Yeah, yeah. There's one question on the board. Whoever gets that right wins. And here's the clip. Name Popeye's favorite food. Ticket.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Spin it, Jerry. That's really funny. And she was so proud of herself. She was like, nailed it. Puppies' chicken. So she messed out on $10,000 with that answer, but Popeyes, because the video went so viral, gave them $10,000 anyway.
Starting point is 01:32:40 Like worth a free chicken, I think. Oh, is that it? I didn't. Oh, they gave him cash. They gave them real chocolate. Oh, really? No, I don't know. I thought it was like $10,000. Pop, oh, did it? No, you're right. I just saw a gives contestant $10,000 worth of food.
Starting point is 01:32:53 Yeah. Wow. Which is a lot. Chicken. All at once. Beep, beep. Pop-I's on Friday offered her $10,000 for the Popeye's chicken and other items on their menu. Well, they got way more than that in advertising.
Starting point is 01:33:08 Yeah. That's crazy. Here's Amy's clip when we did Celebrity Family Feud. Here's Amy trying to fight Steve Harvey Because what happened was Amy didn't answer her question fast enough Here you go, can I go now? No?
Starting point is 01:33:30 She has to go back Where? From whence you come Tessa What had happened was Brooklyn Decker's who our team was playing against therotics And Brooklyn Decker answered
Starting point is 01:33:55 And they went over to Amy Because she didn't have to ring in Because she didn't get the number one answer So Amy just like what? What Steve? What? I thought they were. going to say, okay, Amy, now we were looking at each other and having a moment, and I thought that they were going to tell me, okay, now Amy, what do you, what is your answer? But then the,
Starting point is 01:34:10 buzzer went, and I was like, what? Then Amy gets on Steve's face, like, what's you're going to do about it, Steve? I, well, what you don't hear is I hugged him, and it didn't pick up, thank goodness, but I hugged him and I said, you better make this right, Steve. And then I went back to my station or our little table, and Bobby was so irritated with me, which I would have been irritated with me too. I was so mad. And I was like, golly, hearing that back, I forget about it. I'm like, shoot, that was on national TV. And that
Starting point is 01:34:39 was all instinct of her to do, too. But she didn't have that planned. That's just Amy in the wild. That's it. Amy gets confrontational with Steve Harvey just randomly. We had rehearsal yesterday because Eddie and I are band The Raging
Starting point is 01:34:55 Idiots. We have a show that we're doing tonight in Nashville at the Riemann Auditorium. And what happened was, Many, many years ago, because Eddie and I had been on the road raising money for charity with our band The Raging Idiots, we said, if we ever hit a million dollars raise, we're going to have a big, we're going to call it the million dollar show. And we're going to invite anybody that wants to show up. We didn't even know if any artists would show up the first year. And so we go, we're playing, and like, Dirk's Bentley comes by, Carrie Underwood, Chris Stapleton. It was a really fun night to celebrate us making, by the time we did the show, two million dollars.
Starting point is 01:35:25 So we called it the million dollar show. And now we're doing the fifth year of it tonight. And so we had rehearsal. and usually at rehearsal, it's just our band. We're just rehearsing the songs and the artists will come in. Over the last couple of years, more and more artists have decided to come by because this thing's kind of become legitimate. And we're also recording a radio special tonight to air nationally to raise money for St. Jude as well.
Starting point is 01:35:46 So we're practicing and I guess Brett Young, Lany Wilson and Heath Sanders, who are new artists. We had some other artists under the surprise actors tonight. So Ronnie Dunn comes by to sing. down the songs with us. Amy, we're just in the... A rehearsal room is literally looking like inside of a garage. Not fancy.
Starting point is 01:36:07 Just some speakers on the ground. And here is us, and I'm next to Ronnie. We're playing guitar and singing Neon Moon rehearsal. It's pretty cool. So what did you think of y'all's band? Everyone walks in and goes, oh boy, what's this going to be? Then they go, oh, you guys are really good. We're good.
Starting point is 01:36:50 They just want to run through it once. Once they realize we're not a big show of it, like our name's the raging idiots. And when we do comedy, which is what we mostly do, it's just Eddie and I, two guitars doing comedy and music. But our full band, there are studio musicians. Right. And so they're all a bit shocked.
Starting point is 01:37:05 And they're like, oh, even Ronnie was like, oh, we're good. Ronnie goes, and he goes, well, you know what? I may do a thing, and I may not. And I'm like, hey, if there's one thing this man's good at, it's vamping, because they never know what I'm going to do. And he's like, all right, we did My Maria, which was so fun because we do the background vocals. Ray, can you pull the music down for one second?
Starting point is 01:37:24 So you know the background. I'll do the part. You do the bad guy. My Marie. Oh, my Maria. We all do that part. Oh, my Maria. So we do all of that together.
Starting point is 01:37:36 And then boot scoot and boogie, he like, he opens it on guitar. And he's like, I don't know, may start fast, may start slow. And then he's like, ding, ding, ding. It's all. And then we all come in, because he does all the vocals until it's like, here we go, docy do. Come on, baby. It's fun. Fun.
Starting point is 01:37:52 Okay. Yeah. It's going to be awesome tonight. That's what I'm most excited about. I mean, I know there's other surprises. Oh, that's some good surprises. Oh, yeah. And I'm sure that they'll be just as amazing, but it's crazy to me that y'all are playing with Brooks and Men.
Starting point is 01:38:03 And that would be the biggest part of the show. And we put it in the middle of the show because we never know how long the show is going to be. And they were like, hey, can we go? Not go last because it's going to be late. Gotta go to bed. And I was like, sure, but you play another song. They were like, sure. So that's the deal.
Starting point is 01:38:16 That'd be fun. We come in, grumpy tomorrow. Don't blame us. Blame charity. That's right. It's for the kids. It's for the kids, yeah. I was at this place called True Food here in Nashville,
Starting point is 01:38:28 and they have them all over the country. They're called True Food Kitchens. So good. Yeah, it's like pretty healthy kind of place. You can get some good healthy options. And because people ask me a lot, hey, where do the country stars hang out? What's the cool places?
Starting point is 01:38:40 And so I'm in there, and I'm eating, and I'm in lunch with somebody that I work with, and I see Sam Hunt walk in the door. And so, and Sam's huge. huge. He's 6.3, 6.4, wide, ripped, t-shirt. And Sam just walks in and he's chilling, waiting for his food. He ordered it to go. And he's just sitting there waiting and, um, they bring it up. He's like, cool, thanks you. Just gets it walking. Nobody mess with him. Nobody bothered him. And then after that, B.K. and Florida Georgia Land walks in. Oh, yeah? And he actually,
Starting point is 01:39:11 he actually walks into where I am and he stops the tables with a what up, go, goes to down nobody talk nobody bothers them i mean people always wonder where in nashville to go the grocery store whole foods the whole foods here um also the turnip truck is one and then now true food while i was there and then i saw like two artists managers like that's the place to go wow and if you come to town you never like saturdays and sundays or maybe friday and saturdays you're not going to see them they're on the road so people will come to town on weekends going let's find country stars it's like Sundays through Thursdays is when most are here. So, but I'm sitting in there and, like,
Starting point is 01:39:50 it was like Reese Witherspoon when I was at dinner and she comes to sit down right beside the table I was at, right in the middle of the restaurant, nobody would even mess with her. It's a great town for that. Because I would like to mess with them, but since no one else does, I just let them be. I let the stars do their thing.
Starting point is 01:40:02 Because they're eating. But not until the food goes in their mouth. Oh. Yeah. The rule is if you see someone famous, if they don't have kids with them and they're not eating. Like physically eating food in their mouth. If there's food in their mouth.
Starting point is 01:40:13 If there's food in front of them, of them, don't ever bother anyone. Famous or not, a food's in front of them. So if there's food in front of them or they're with their families, don't bother them. Otherwise, tell them you're a fan. There's a new bobbycast with Shay that we did. It's up now, Shay Mooney from Dan and Shay. And we were talking about this.
Starting point is 01:40:28 And he's the same thing. He's like, man, I'd love to talk to people that listen to our music. Unless he's with his kid or with his food. And not in that order, maybe, even for me. So that bobbycast is up. Search bobbycast. And we did an hour and 25 minutes. Shea and I did from being a Shea.
Starting point is 01:40:43 It just went up late last night. Well, the main strain of flu that's circulating doesn't exactly match the flu shots What If this year. And they always guess. They never go, this is the one, but they try to guess which one is going to kind of take the lead and circulate the most and the fastest.
Starting point is 01:41:06 They still say the strain, if you got a flu shot, we'll still offer some protection. But the big one isn't really the big one that they've dialed into. with the flu shot. That's a bummer. Have you ever had the real flu? Like the fluy flu?
Starting point is 01:41:19 Because I've had the flu. Yeah. But the one that puts people in the hospital? Oh, no. I haven't either. Like, knock on whatever fake wood this is. It's not real. It's not even real wood.
Starting point is 01:41:29 But I haven't either. I would like to think it's because I get the flu shot. Maybe. But, yeah, I've got, yeah, I get it every week. So I get a different strain every week. Okay. Then you should be covered. Facebook posts, this Facebook post tips of Louisiana
Starting point is 01:41:43 a couple off to a $2 million powerball win. How did it tip them off? Well, it's a whole thing too where sometimes you see a news story and it makes you kind of look down and, oh, well, this could have happened around me or this could have happened to me. Louisiana couple said they had no idea they had won a $2 million power ball until they see a Facebook post. And there's an unclaimed prize post. And again, they just see that in their feed. Tammy and James Miller told Louisiana lottery officials they bought the ticket.
Starting point is 01:42:10 They didn't think about it until weeks and weeks later. They saw on Facebook that someone went two million dollars and they went and found that ticket and they won. Wow. Good thing they still had it. Oh. On my personal Facebook, I've been eliminating people from my personal Facebook. I post about once every three months on my Bobby private Facebook, which I just had when I was 28, you know, and I stopped posting on Facebook, but I've now been, because you would just meet somebody back in the day and add them on Facebook. Yeah. I didn't have to really know them. And so, but I've been, slowly wiping people away on my personal Facebook.
Starting point is 01:42:46 Yeah. I would like to delete it in an effort to go like anti-Facebook, but I'm not deleting Instagram. Right. And it's also owned by Facebook. Now so much so that when you open Instagram, it goes a Facebook company on the bottom of it. So I'm only so much standing up to the man. I'm not even going to delete Facebook, but I am taking, like, eliminating free.
Starting point is 01:43:06 Cleaning house. A little bit. Because I only post. How are you determining who you get rid of? is like if you look at it and you legit or like who is this person? Yeah, if I have to go, how do I know them? Right. They go away.
Starting point is 01:43:19 So, and anything is really on the Bobby Bone show Facebook page, the our show page. You can also watch the show up on that page. But I'm just, I'm not on Facebook that much anyway. I don't message on Facebook much. Do you guys? No, not really. Oh, gosh, I haven't posted on Facebook in like five years. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:38 That long. Yeah. You do special moments, though. I've seen years, like real big moments in your life. you post? Yeah, like three or four times a year, I'll post something. Mostly nudes. Not true. Special moments.
Starting point is 01:43:50 Yeah, man. That's new. People are now searching Google Maps Street View to look for pictures of their loved ones who've passed away. That's a new thing to go search. I know, isn't that crazy? To go search your house or their house. Whoa. Man, don't you just have pictures in your phone somewhere? Once on Google Street View.
Starting point is 01:44:12 at a house when I was living in Austin. If you look from my house, my ex-girlfriend's car was in the front of it. And that was always a weird thing. Yeah. Because I remember once I was looking at it with a later girlfriend in Austin. And my ex-girlfriend's car
Starting point is 01:44:27 was just always parked in front of my house. But you can find a lot of stuff on the Google Street View. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. There was this nine-year-old girl in Arizona her name's Valerie.
Starting point is 01:44:41 She was only born with one hand. so in fourth grade they're learning how to play the violin. Only problem is she only has one hand so she can't do it. One of her classmates goes home and says, Dad, there's this girl in our class. She can't play the violin because she only has one hand. Dad gets on the internet, starts doing some research, and builds her a prosthetic.
Starting point is 01:45:00 Wow, builds her a prosthetic? Yeah, out of thermoplastic. It gets flexible in very hot water, then hardens into the shape as it cools. Wow, I'm looking at this. It is the hand that she uses. the bow the string the thing whatever that I don't know
Starting point is 01:45:17 the bow yeah yeah like he said so the well I didn't know if it's called like a sword I don't know it's not a sword no it's a bow yeah yeah I didn't know if that was that's a great it's a great story we'll post it up on our Facebook page if you want to see it and that's what it's all about that was tell me something good folks it's your buddy and mine
Starting point is 01:45:35 Mr. Bobby bones I mentioned that tomorrow we'll have Bear Grills on our show to promote my Bearer Girls episode tomorrow night on Nat Geo channel. And someone texts to say, good morning show, not being Captain Obvious, but wouldn't it make more sense
Starting point is 01:45:58 to have Barry Girls come on after the show is aired? That's the question. No, because you don't promote something after it's aired. We can talk about it after it's aired, but you always bring on guests to promote something
Starting point is 01:46:09 more so than to recap something. So fair question. I don't know about not being Captain Obvious part. I felt like he's being a little smart aleck with me there. But other than that, other than that little part, No, people come on to promote a project more so than to go, well, that happened.
Starting point is 01:46:27 Yeah, because we want people to watch it. Yeah, I want people to watch it. So, yeah, that's what's up. I went, I didn't do my best eating, like, clean this weekend. And I know where I'm strong, which is keeping bad influences away from me, not just food, but in life. Even people that have, like, negative attitudes. Like, eventually everything goes. If it's not making me feel good, eventually it goes away.
Starting point is 01:46:50 And I keep food away from me that's bad, but I go away. and I watched the Titans and Chiefs game, went to Florida Georgia Lions bar, because the guys were doing a thing out there. And I went out there to watch the game. And I'd already had dinner. I tried to eat before I go places too, so I'm full, so I'm not tempted by things.
Starting point is 01:47:06 And I got to probably lose a few pounds because I have to go do American Idol in Hawaii. Oh, you look fine. It's Hawaii, though, Amy. You mentoring in a swimsuit? Yeah, I'm doing swimming. Well, in my mind, though, in my mind. I can understand feeling good
Starting point is 01:47:20 and being good, I'm about three pounds over my perfect weight right now. I'm 163, which is not my best. And when is the last time you weighed yourself? About three hours, four hours ago? That's what I thought. I weighed myself three times a day. Morning, midday, evening.
Starting point is 01:47:36 Okay, just checking. We don't recommend this for people listening. This is just Bobby's approach. We do not need to do what he does. So anyway, you're 163. I go to this game, and it's the Titans in Baltimore. And the Titans are, I'm in my Titans jersey, by the way, which I got to bring up another point in a second too.
Starting point is 01:47:53 And the Titans are killing it. And so I'm with a friend and he orders a bunch of potato chip nachos. And I was like, I just have one. And I shouldn't have had one because I can't just do one of anything. And so I go, I go, I just a little cheese on it. I just go get one with a little cheese a little bit.
Starting point is 01:48:09 I never also had potato chip nachos. I've had nachos. Right, with tortilla chips probably? Absolutely. Not potato chips. But they bring in this big pile of potato chip nachos. I was like, I had one with a little cheese. And I had one with a little cheese.
Starting point is 01:48:20 And I was like, man, I should probably get one with a little more cheese. and have one little. And then there's some beef on it. By the time I've had like seven and I'm like, blah. So I know my weakness is to be around things.
Starting point is 01:48:32 That's why I keep no sweets in my house. So I just want people to know I'm not super disciplined. I'm disciplined to keep myself away from bad things. But once bad things are around me, then I start to lose it a little bit. But I did.
Starting point is 01:48:43 I fell out the wagon. Yeah. I'm back on it. I'm back on it. Yes. That is exactly who ordered. Was it? I was making a joke.
Starting point is 01:48:50 I figured it was maybe a mod or something. thing. But I saw him there and I was like, what is, what's Bobby doing at FGL house with Cole Swindell? Well, it wasn't on purpose. I just go to this event and I get there and the guy in the bar, I was like, hey, Cole's over there. And I know Cole Swindell, even off at a radio world, like human world a little bit. And so we went over there and just sat and watched the whole game together. And he had on his Titans polo and had on my Titans jersey. Just had a good time. And the Titans won, which was crazy. And then my question, my question. was, and I'll ask you guys this now. I had it, and I didn't mind having a jersey on. That was cool to me. I loved the jersey. Yeah, let's not have this discussion. Yeah, it's not the Jersey discussion. Yeah, it's not the Jersey earlier this year. They made me want my name on the back of it. And I also had one they gave me with Derek Henry's name on the back. And it was my choice to wear which one I want to wear to the bar. And I wore the one with Derek Henry. Because I didn't want to go, I didn't want to go jersey and name at a bar. Do you think that would have been lame? I mean, I would, I think I would lean towards, like if I was
Starting point is 01:49:51 your girlfriend or your wife and you were asking me before we left the house, I'd be like, should I wear the one with bones on it or Derek Henry? Definitely, Derek Henry. I would be like, Derek Henry or no jersey. Like, I don't think I would want to go out with you with your own jersey on. Do you think that amplifies the level of gooberness? Because I'm okay with being a gober. Like, I don't think guberness is bad. I know that you're okay with being a gober, but you want sometimes to not be, I don't know. Something about that feels a little weird.
Starting point is 01:50:15 And I didn't want to go and be like, look at me. Right. I'm here, buy boons. I wanted them think I was really Derek Henry in the bar. Which nobody thinks that. No, nobody thinks that. Because you're playing. You're good.
Starting point is 01:50:25 Yeah. But I've seen Keith Urban and Tim McGrath Preds games with the jerseys and their names on it. And it looks kind of cool. It's different because they're famous. Oh. Because you would know them anyway. That's different.
Starting point is 01:50:37 And they're at the game. Could you wear that to the game or out to a bar? Is that different? I don't know. Maybe. Or is that one just reserved for home? You can only wear the bones one at home. I may wear it this weekend.
Starting point is 01:50:48 I may go to the game. Oh, wow. Maybe. 20% chance I go to the game. Oh. Because Eddie and I are doing comedy shows in D.C. and Virginia Beach. You got to get back in time. It's an early game.
Starting point is 01:50:59 If it was a later game, I may for sure go. But. We may be back in time. That's going to be crazy. We'll see. I may go. I just don't like going and then losing. You know how many Arkansas away games I've been to?
Starting point is 01:51:12 And then they lose and you're just stuck there. And you're stuck there in a jersey. And the other... With your name on it. And the other crowds, like, either taunting you or feeling sorry for you both aren't a good place to be and then you're just trapped there and you're like oh it's the worst
Starting point is 01:51:26 but isn't it also exciting? You know how many times I've been to Tuscaloosa and we just get rolled by Alabama and I'm just stuck there and I know you're listening right now love you I don't like coming down there and getting the crap beat out of me because it's been a long time because we've been down there to win in Tuscaloosa and it's not you. It's not you
Starting point is 01:51:43 you're not getting the crap beat out of you sure but I feel like when the razor is the crap beat out of them I get the crap beat out of me He's part of the whole thing I know but then that's when I feel like maybe some people, which I get it. My husband's the same way with his team, the Longhorn, the Cowboys. It's like the day is over and life is ruined if they lose, which I mean, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:52:00 get used to it at this point right now. Oh, dang. Right. Yeah. But apparently there's a new coach, so maybe they'll get better. Or football season's over, so I guess it doesn't matter. Or for them, is it over? Is there any more Cowboys games?
Starting point is 01:52:14 No. For college, it's over for Texas, right? There's a game tonight national championship game. Okay. But Texas isn't playing. It is LSU and Clemson in case anyone asks. Good to know. And then the NFL, there are two weeks left.
Starting point is 01:52:28 So there's the week next week, and then there's a break, and then the Super Bowl. Only four teams left. Yeah, the Titans and the Chiefs. Right. And then two other teams. Yes. Do you know? No.
Starting point is 01:52:37 Hey, do we have our, who won our Crystal Ball selections? All right, we did the Crystal Ball who we thought was going to be in the Super Bowl. Let them rip. Titans that say they're a strong. so I'm going Titans. So you're still in it. Amy's crustal ball selection was to pick the Titans to win the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 01:52:57 Yes. All right. Lunchbox and Eddie? Ravens. They're the best team in football. Eddie? I'm going to go with the Ravens. What happens?
Starting point is 01:53:06 Wait, is that they lost you? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, that's what they beat? What up? And then, Bones, what did you say? Oh. Here's mine. I'm going to go with Kansas City.
Starting point is 01:53:15 Oh, I love that. Yeah, I'm going to go with Kansas City. I think Kansas City went Super Bowl. There you go. You two guys. are still in. So now we're kind of, we're against each other.
Starting point is 01:53:23 It's me and you. You're battling. Shay from Dan and Shea came over to the house and we did a Bobbycast. When this show is over, search for Bobbycast. And you can look, we, it's like an hour and 20 minutes. We just spent talking about his life, his career, real
Starting point is 01:53:39 in-depth stuff that we can't even ever get to in like a 10-minute interview here. But we talked about because Shea didn't write tequila, but Dan did with some other writers. and Shea talked about the first time that he heard Tequila. Here you go. And I remember hearing that song
Starting point is 01:53:53 and I was just like, I want to sing that. There's a lot of people on the label, like, we can't put out a ballad first. We just can't do this. Dan and I were so, like, Adam about it. Like, look, this is, we're taking the reins. This is it. That was kind of a scary time.
Starting point is 01:54:04 But at the same time, we were very excited because I feel like out of anything we had done, tequila was like made us the cool thing to go see in town when that song hit. It changed everything. And he was talking about before he became Dan and Shea, he signed a deal with Tea Payne. you know,
Starting point is 01:54:19 and how he got a phone call from T-Pain while he was sitting in a movie theater that he wanted him to sign with him. I was in this movie and I didn't have any service and I was like, I was like, this is the craziest thing ever. So I go out of the movie. And I'm in like this back room at the movie theater, like FaceTiming or whatever, T-Pain. And he was like, hey, I want you to come to Memphis.
Starting point is 01:54:38 Like we're playing a show there. It was him and Chris Brown. I want you to come, you know, play with us and do this whole deal. Let's do it. Do this whole deal mean? I didn't, I have no idea. Oh, yeah. To this day, I don't know what that meant.
Starting point is 01:54:48 You know those moments You get the call And you're just like Yeah, whatever it is I'm down So you can hear that whole story How he signed a deal with T-Pain and moved to Atlanta
Starting point is 01:54:55 for a while So it's real Dan and Shea stuff She's side of things Because we didn't want with Dan About a year ago And it's just a really good Bobbycast Check it out
Starting point is 01:55:06 Type bobbycast Wherever you listen to your podcasts And that's the latest one up The one with Shea Also let me say this There's one up with Russell Dickerson And his wife Kaylee Dickerson And you're friendly with Kaylee?
Starting point is 01:55:18 Yeah So I'm going over to their house this week to have dinner. And she hit me up and was like, tell Amy she should come to dinner too. Can you go? Well, yeah. Otherwise it's going to be like a tripod. I don't know what night. Me and those two.
Starting point is 01:55:28 Which is great. Third wheel. And I don't really go to people's house for dinner. Well, so yeah. And plus I've been wanting to see the inside of their house because my husband and I went and looked at their house on the outside. They weren't home. But they gave us the address because when we were looking to move, she was helping me.
Starting point is 01:55:42 She was like, you should come to our neighborhood. It's amazing. And so they finished renovating it. And I've seen the outside. So she's like, come see the inside. Wednesday night? Yeah, I think we're, yeah, I mean, Ben, too. Oh, yeah, of course. Okay. I feel like that'd be weird. Ben, I'm going to go to dinner with No, no, no, all of us. Oh, okay. Yeah, I think we can do that. Sweet. Yeah. Less for me to have to
Starting point is 01:56:01 carry. Less conversation for me to have to carry. Because here's, if Amy's there, I don't have to say anything. That's true. I don't say much. I'm pretty quiet. Out of this show or off the stage, I got nothing to say. And Amy's got it covered. And I love that about you. Okay, but you also need to practice. I can't take it over. Oh, you can. No, I'll leave you moments where you can go in and that way you can grow. I'm grown. It's time. I'm a grown man. Dan and Shea and Justin Bieber, here's 10,000 hours, Bobby Bone Show. Starting point is 02:00:01 You tell me. Well, PhD Peter is on the phone. Yeah, I think we just have him tell his side of the story. Okay, do we put her in isolation? Yes. Okay. Morgan number two, to the isolation chamber you go. Morgan number two went on a coffee date with PhD Peter yesterday.
Starting point is 02:00:20 And Mike D and his girlfriend went too. And so you sat with him the whole time, Mike. Yeah, hop on her mic. Okay. She's gone. Hop on her mic. Yes, I sat with him the whole time. And what was your, you thought it was okay?
Starting point is 02:00:31 I mean, I didn't feel awkward, but I wasn't the one on the first date. Yeah. Here is Peter right now. Ph.D. Peter. Peter, how are you, bud? Hi, Bobby. Good morning. So are you back in California or are you still in Nashville?
Starting point is 02:00:44 or are you still in Nashville? Yeah, I am. I'm in California. Are you British now? Why are you an accent? No, I just talk, buddy, Bobby. Okay, okay. So you met up with Morgan number two yesterday,
Starting point is 02:00:59 but you were there with Mike D and his girlfriend, too, right? Yes, I was. Seeing Morgan in person, it was, you know, your heart jumps in your throat. She's gorgeous and even better than you... other than I didn't in person. She's not in the room right now. We've put her in the isolation,
Starting point is 02:01:18 so she can't hear what you're saying. How did you feel it went? The date, I really enjoyed talking with her. You can't get enough time with Morgan, I don't think. Did you feel it went, well? You know, you traveled all the way across the country to go out with her.
Starting point is 02:01:35 I didn't go just to go on the date with Morgan, but that was definitely the added bonus of the trip to Nashville. I would love a second date, that's for sure. Were you nervous leading up to it? Oh my God, yeah, I was sweating. Yeah, my heart just in my throat. What were you wearing?
Starting point is 02:01:54 What was it wearing? Yeah, like how do you dress for a first coffee date? Oh, good question. I just dress normal. What's normal for you? T-shirt, button-up shirt, tuxedo, like, I don't know. Yeah, I usually wear jeans, a button-up shirt. Okay.
Starting point is 02:02:11 Normal. Casualty did you wear a hat, no hat? No hat. Any, what would have done good? What's that one? Oh, it sounds fine. Jeans and a button up is totally fine. How long did the date last to you?
Starting point is 02:02:25 It went pretty quick. Okay. Like, I don't know what's that mean pretty quick. Like, five minutes, half hour? Yeah, we had, you know, tea and coffee. And it was so fun having Mike D and Kelsey there. And by the way, y'all, I think you got to get ready to that wedding because Kelsey is spectacular. Mike's a lucky dad.
Starting point is 02:02:46 All right, all right. Okay. All right. And if you were to rate the date on how well you thought it went, one through ten, what would you rate it? I'd give it an eight. Oh, wow. Okay, so also, before you go on the date with her, do you come up with a lot of questions, or were you organically able to find questions and things to talk about?
Starting point is 02:03:08 No, it's just normal. Just normal conversation. We got to learn about Oregon. You know, don't want to reveal too much, but it's fun to learn about it. her family and her being an aunt and her pet ferret growing up. I didn't know that she would have a pet parrot. Listen, I don't either. Yeah, who knew she had a pet ferret?
Starting point is 02:03:27 On the phone with us now is Ph.D. Peter, who wanted to go on a date with Morgan number two. How did it end? Like, because it was just coffee, tea, and then all of a sudden, y'all were talking, and then, because you said it was pretty quick. So how did it end? You know, it just, you know, it was kind of time to end. And so So who
Starting point is 02:03:50 Did she just stand out And say it was To her car I walked her car She gave me a really nice hug And yeah Again Mike did you walk
Starting point is 02:04:03 Did you walk with them to the car No We walked to our own car I did not go see that You did not go see that Okay Okay Okay
Starting point is 02:04:12 Have you reached out to her since Do you have her number even Oh no I don't I guess my yelling I don't. Okay. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 02:04:23 So he gives it an 8 out of 10. Hey, we're going to put him a hole for one second? She's just really fantastic. Just a wonderful, wonderful person. I agree. You're right on there with that. All right, let's put him on hold. Is there any way we can put him where he can't hear?
Starting point is 02:04:38 Yeah. We just got to hang up on him. But then he could listen on the radio. But then he's okay. He's two hours later. Oh, yeah, that's right. He'll just get it. Okay.
Starting point is 02:04:45 Bye you. See ya. We can't interact, right? But he can't, we can't put him on hold with music or something? Can we just put him on hold and have Abby talking his ear the whole time? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes, yeah. Just, Abby can just talk to him. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:59 All right. Okay, cool. So is he covered right now? Like, he's not able to hear. He's covered. Okay, let's bring in Morgan number two. She's walking back in the back in the studio. Morgan number two, we asked him this question. We had him rate at one through ten, right? Is that the scale we give him? Yes. He rated it. What would you rate it? Probably a four. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 02:05:19 Oh, you think that's low? That's most of my first dates. They give me that score. No, I'm saying compared to... Eight? Yeah. He gave it an eight. What, did he look like
Starting point is 02:05:29 what you thought he was going to look like when you got there? I don't know. I didn't know what he looked like. You never looked him up. Mike, did you know what he looked like? I thought we looked him up altogether. But you never looked at him. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 02:05:39 What did you, Mike, did he look like what his picture looked like? Yeah, just like his picture. Yeah. And what did you guys talk about? It really felt more like an interview than a conversation. So I learned that he used to be a kindergarten teacher. He doesn't like snakes. He asked if I wanted to have children because we talked about our nieces and nephews.
Starting point is 02:06:02 And that's about all I really remember. I feel like this we're in court right now. It's so weird. He does not seem happy. So this was a best. So anybody last? It's just so awkward, man. This is awkward.
Starting point is 02:06:20 But I love it. How did he think it was so great? That's crazy, right? And here's what it makes me think about myself, that I think I go on these dates and they're great, that they go home and they're like, it was miserable. All you want to know was about snakes. I mean, that's kind of proof that that does happen a lot. I mean, one person's like, this is spectacular, and the other person's like, never again.
Starting point is 02:06:37 Oh. So you're not interested to going out with him again? I am not. I think he was very nice and he was very polite. He was just, there just wasn't anything there. How tall is he? Probably like 6-2, 6-3 Oh wow, he's very tall
Starting point is 02:06:50 He has a 5-6 voice And he's 6-2 But maybe to Morgan he seems 6-2 Because she's... How tall are you 5-0? Mm-hmm So but he was, did you all talk kite? Like you know?
Starting point is 02:07:01 No, you know, he didn't talk about. That wasn't a big topic So how tall are you? Listen, I've been on those days too I'm like, how about that weather, huh? It's cold out there, right? For sure. I've been like, I had to debate
Starting point is 02:07:11 to wear sleeves or not to this date. I weighed myself three times today Oh, man. Okay, so she gives it a... Raymond, he can't hear, right? He still is not yet. Oh, man, no. Just hang up. How are you gonna break it to him?
Starting point is 02:07:22 Just hang up. Just hang up and I think we never talk to him. No, no, no, seriously. We have to hate... No, no, no, no, no. Just let him move on with his life. There doesn't need to be closure. There doesn't need to be...
Starting point is 02:07:32 It's just over the head. No, this is a person. There's feelings. We have to handle this delicately and maturely, so he just needs to know. We tell him, but in the nice way... Okay, you tell them. I know I can tell them.
Starting point is 02:07:43 Don't put him on a hold you. yet I can tell them. Oh, man. And listen, I've done this segment on the year two where I went out with people that Lunchbox set me out blindly with and Amy set me up blindly with. Didn't go the best for me either.
Starting point is 02:07:55 It's not... No, and one time one of the girls she had my phone number and then I... Oh, goodness. It did not go well, and then she kept contacting me and I was like, what is happening?
Starting point is 02:08:03 I need to change my phone number. I don't know that I knew that. Yeah, I was probably sparing you from the details that I almost set you up with a crazy person. Okay, so Ramondo, we can put him back on the phone. There he goes.
Starting point is 02:08:18 All right, he's up. All right, he's up. PhD, Peter. You there, bud? Hi, Bobby. So it doesn't seem, after talking to both of you, that there's supreme compatibility, which is what would have to happen
Starting point is 02:08:32 for you to live in California and her to live in Tennessee. You know? Right. I think, you know, it's a tragic love affair, in that sense. It's a tragic love affair. An interesting concept. I would say that's not what it is. Okay
Starting point is 02:08:48 What happened? Well, I don't know if Morgan number two Can hear him She doesn't have headphones Oh, do you want to hear Morgan number two or are you good? I'm okay She's okay
Starting point is 02:08:55 She doesn't want to hear So she can't hear you But we don't think That this is going to be a love affair Or a connection But she did say you were really nice And tall And you came prepared
Starting point is 02:09:06 That's very I like I appreciate hearing that Yeah, that's very nice Anything you would like to say In your exit interview I think more than a great catch. I think her future husband will hit the jackpot.
Starting point is 02:09:25 Wow. And I think he'll know how lucky he is. This guy. He's saying eventually she'll find a husband. I mean, it's true. It's a true thing. And I mean, she probably thinks the same thing about you finding a wife. It's just you weren't, I mean, it didn't work out.
Starting point is 02:09:40 But she said he were really nice, dude. And tall. Let me not forget. You're tall. And you're really smart. How tall are you, Peter? Thank you much, Bob. I'm not that tall.
Starting point is 02:09:50 How tall are you? Six one. Oh, six one. Okay, that's accurate. That's what she was guessing. Yeah. Well, Peter, we're sorry it didn't work out. Do you feel like you learned anything from this?
Starting point is 02:10:02 Oh, I learned. Yeah, you got to wear love on your sleeve. Hey, that a boy. I appreciate y'all for doing this. Morgan was just a picture for agreeing to give it a try. So I'm very happy. Did you ask for a picture? Like, is that a proper way to end of date?
Starting point is 02:10:23 Like, you're like, can I get a picture? Or like a selfie. No, but I will say that, you know, Mike D. and Morgan were recognized. Folks came up to us at the table. Oh, yeah, Mike, people recognize you guys? Oh. Is that weird? Whenever you're trying to, like, do a date and people are like, hey, just because you were trying to have a date?
Starting point is 02:10:40 Yeah. All right. Well, Ph.D., Peter, we appreciate you. Did they recognize you, Ph.D.? Pete? Sorry, Amy? Did they know? Were they like, oh, you're PhD, Peter?
Starting point is 02:10:47 I don't think so Okay All right Well Pete Hope you have a great week We appreciate you We sound like a nice guy And hopefully our pads
Starting point is 02:10:57 Will cross again soon Good luck with love bud I look forward to it Bobby Thank you all Thank you Bye bye See you Peter Oh man I hope he doesn't listen to the replay
Starting point is 02:11:05 Yeah Well especially from last hour But mostly if you were just getting mad And more you're just getting mad at me Yeah Do you think There are messages coming in And I'll ask you this, Morgan, do you think he was too nice and your style is just like not the real nice guy?
Starting point is 02:11:23 Like the bad boy type? No, I've had bad experiences with bad guys. It doesn't mean I like bad guys. I just have had bad experiences with bad people. I like nice guys. There just was no connection whatsoever there. What celebrity do you look most like? Mike, I don't know.
Starting point is 02:11:43 Well, they're struggling. Sometimes it's hard to think of You can just make up anybody They don't will agree with it Like a young Matthew McConaughey Oh, dude What? Wow
Starting point is 02:11:56 I wouldn't agree with that one I wouldn't know Yeah I don't think I would agree with that one No All right Well there we go The conclusion is
Starting point is 02:12:07 It was not a love connection But it wasn't because we tried Definitely not Tried All right Anything you want to say On the out here? I just think you were a good sport, Morgan number two.
Starting point is 02:12:20 Morgan number two, anything you'd like to say? I would like to pick my own dates moving forward. That's a good method. Why is it awkward? Okay, what are we doing next? We're done. I don't know. I'm just going home.
Starting point is 02:12:36 All right, I'm not going home. All right, back in a second. So once a year, Eddie and I, we get the whole band back together, and we play at the rhyme and auditorium here in Nashville. and we do a show for St. Jude, The Raging Idiots, the Million Dollar Show. And listeners come in from all over the country. And if you're a big listener of this show, you are part of the B team, which started as like, we all felt like second stringers, so we were never with the A team.
Starting point is 02:13:02 We were the B team. And they now organized themselves and they got this big house. Every year they come and they get a big house. They come from all over the country. They all stay in the same house. They get an Airbnb. One of them puts their name and car down, and they all just kind of move into the house. and so I try to go by and hang out with them every year
Starting point is 02:13:18 and last night Eddie and I went over to the house and took our guitars and played like a mini concert for them and there's a picture on my Instagram Mr. Bobby Bones but there's one two three four five six that was like 1718 B-teamers that are staying in the same house and we went over last night and hung out and I didn't eat did you eat? Did you eat?
Starting point is 02:13:36 I did and then I took some home with me too so and so we played some songs and just had a good time and so it's always fun to see all of them Who wouldn't have known each other if it weren't for them bonding, you know, over this show. Right. And they're all really good friends now with each other. Like, it's awesome. They support each other when stuff is going on.
Starting point is 02:13:55 Like one of the B team members recently had surgery. And another one from halfway across the country was sending me a note like, hey, she's in surgery. Can you make sure that, or if you can, can you do this? Like, they look out for each other. It's really cool. Even last night that the same girl wasn't able to be there because it was her heart. She had surgery on. So we FaceTime her in.
Starting point is 02:14:13 and she was there the whole time she was there the whole time Perfect Even during the concert She was up watching When Eddie and I were in the living room Love it And then we took pictures
Starting point is 02:14:21 With everybody after We took a group picture We took pictures afterward And we held the phone With her on the FaceTime Yeah So it's a real special thing For us to go by the house
Starting point is 02:14:29 And play And so we did that last night And then I went over And they had a songwriter night At the Bluebird The Bluebird Cafe Where like people can go and play songs And I went over and practically
Starting point is 02:14:39 And basically practiced a couple songs What do you mean? Like new new songs Oh you're not I need a place to test out if it's funny or not. And so I went over there last night. Pretty late for me.
Starting point is 02:14:49 I don't remember to go out past like 6.30. But since I was already over at this house, I went over to the Bluebird. And they were nice enough to let me go up. And I felt like it was going to, because at the Bluebird, you never know. Garth can come by. Right.
Starting point is 02:15:02 Or you? Or a Tracy Lawrence or a John party. Yeah. And I think when they go, oh, there's a surprise guest. Everybody kind of gets really excited. And I don't know if they were kind of let down when they were like, ooh, surprise guest.
Starting point is 02:15:12 Oh, you were surprised. Oh yeah, yeah, I didn't. I don't know. I didn't know. I mean, I was surprised to see you. I saw you post on Instagram. One thing I know you're at the B-Team dinner. And the next thing I know you're like, closing the night out of the Bluebird.
Starting point is 02:15:23 I was like, what? Well, I didn't close that night. That was my night. I closed my night out of the Bluebird. Closing your night. But they were like, oh, we have a special guest. And I felt a car. I go, and then I don't know of it when they said it was me.
Starting point is 02:15:34 They were like, it's a good thing. Or that's our special guest. Like, we came all the way to Nashville. And our special guest was by bones. But the funny thing is like Bobby at the dinner He's like here hold my guitar And I held it and I was putting it down He goes no be careful don't get it out of tune
Starting point is 02:15:48 Because I'm gonna do something after her And it's like you can't even tune his guitar And he's gonna go play the Bluebird I love it I have a good tuner though If you're like a novice player like I am Guitar Tuna Tuna Is the best tuning app
Starting point is 02:16:01 It's on your phone You just put your phone to it My phone on my knee I don't like knocking out of tune I like to leave it Don't touch Don't touch It's in the purse
Starting point is 02:16:09 It's in the perfect place right there. So, yeah, I want to play last night. Well, how did it go testing out? One brand new song was pretty good. Needs a little work. I think with comedy songs, you can always punch them up. You can watch tape and then punch them up. And one was pretty good and one was okay.
Starting point is 02:16:27 Both can use work. Okay. So, but that's all. Even when we do our comedy shows, I'll record songs and then go watch to what songs get the laughs and what parts. Game tape. Yeah, game tape. Go change out jokes. Try to make it funnier.
Starting point is 02:16:39 Love it. So, yeah, it was good. What'd you do? Like last night? Like the weekend. Oh, I mean, it was just the kids and I at home. Stashear wasn't feeling like her best best. And we were starting school today.
Starting point is 02:16:51 There's start school today. After being off. New school today. Yeah, they were off. I said, y'all's Christmas break, you do you realize it was a month? Because they were both like, oh, you have to go to school tomorrow.
Starting point is 02:16:59 I'm like, yeah. Like most kids have already been back for a week. So they start the new school right now. I mean, they're there right now. I can't wait to hear how it goes. I'm so excited. Can your daughter a call from her, They said that she's allowed to have her watch phone at school if she wants it.
Starting point is 02:17:14 But at the beginning of each class, they have like a Ziploc bag at the front of the class that everyone has to drop their phones into. Even her watch? Mm-hmm. Anything that can make a call or send text or anything has to go into this Ziploc bag. She said it's just good because it takes away the temptation. And then after class, you can grab it out of the Ziploc bag. When will you hear from her how school's going? I don't, I guess.
Starting point is 02:17:33 I'm going to let her be probably after school. Good for you. Hands off, huh? Yeah, I send them out. wild. Do your thing. Make friends. It's school, Amy. Into the wild. Well, after homeschooling basically for a year, I mean, out of place, but it was one-on-one. Like, they weren't in a, like, Stevenson, I'm worried about him not getting, he loves one-on-one attention. So I, he, they apparently are going to give him peripheral seating. So he'll
Starting point is 02:17:59 sit close to the teacher. But I mean, I'm worried about him knowing or realizing there's other students in the class and the teacher is going to have to pay attention to them. And what he's going to do if he doesn't get all the attention he wants. Does he ever act out in a bad way? Yes. Oh. So I already weren't, we had a teacher meeting on Friday, and I met all the teachers, and I told them what they could expect, so they should be prepared.
Starting point is 02:18:24 Good luck. Let us know tomorrow how it goes. I will. I'm so excited. Happy for them. I was watching a clip yesterday because I didn't get to see it live. But Jimmy Johnson, who he's from Arkansas and played for the Razorbacks, but also was a Dallas Cowboys coach.
Starting point is 02:18:37 and won Super Bowls, he got invited into the NFL Hall of Fame, and they told him on live television. He's like crying. Pretty emotional. Did you guys see this? No, I didn't see it. It was pretty awesome. It was really, really cool.
Starting point is 02:18:49 And so here is Jimmy Johnson being told you. It's just kind of true. My therapist is in time another three weeks. I got to find someone to talk about this, yeah. Because I was hit by it pretty hard. Here you go. The only thing I can think of is all the assistant coaches that have worked for me, all the great players.
Starting point is 02:19:07 They've played for me. They're the reason I'm here. And they're the reason I can't talk. All right. It was really cool to see. As soon as I saw it on Instagram and I wiped my tears and I sent it to Mike Diaz and put this in for tomorrow. So that was real cool. Shit.
Starting point is 02:19:30 All right, big night for us here. Eddie and I, the raging idiots, are playing our show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville tonight, which is a big deal for us, and it's our fifth raging idiots at the Ryman million-dollar show, which the first one we did was when we raised literally a million dollars for charity.
Starting point is 02:19:46 It was kind of a celebration. So we've kept it going, and we're going to turn it into a radio special, but super pumped because Brooks and Dunn's going to come play tonight with us. You can go back and listen to the audio. I played some of the rehearsal we did with Brooks and Dunn earlier on the show.
Starting point is 02:20:03 And it was really cool just to come in and play those songs and Ron Dund singing in a rehearsal room. Nuts. It was nuts. The whole thing was nuts. So Brooks and Dunn and Colby Calais and... Brett Young.
Starting point is 02:20:14 Yep, Kane Brown. This is going to be a lot. And there's some surprises happening tonight. And it'll just be a fun night. It'll be a late night. So when we come in, irritable tomorrow, just know it were irritable for a good cause. You know?
Starting point is 02:20:28 And then eventually we'll have it all up as a radio special where you can also help St. Jude. We're going to do a one-time text number, like 10 bucks. You just text in 10 bucks. goes. So that's kind of the goal tonight. Okay. And then we'll end up having it on the show too. So pretty pumped about it. It's going to be awesome. We had to learn like 25 songs. Yeah. Because we're the band for every
Starting point is 02:20:46 artist that comes up. Oh, that, what do they call it? The House Band? Yeah, yeah. Because we stay on a play and they just switch in and out, switching and out. And Lainey Wilson and Heath Sanders are two of the new artists that I wanted to bring up and kind of showcase. And so it'd be good. That Heath Sanders. Whoa. What a voice. Just crazy. And he's been, he played the St. Jude Radiothon for us this year. But man, just so good. So yeah, we'll see tomorrow. Amy, what are you doing tonight? Are you just going to the show, huh? Yeah, I'll be there. I think before we have a client dinner, so I'll be doing that. Amy's like, I'm watching National Championship game. She's like, sorry I can't. It's LSU in Clemson, man. I get it. All right. No, no. We're going to some fancy
Starting point is 02:21:21 restaurant and then we'll be there. You're doing clients at a fancy restaurant? Yeah, I think so. Is it the Palm? Yes. Oh, it's a nice place. Who goes to that dinner with you? Well, I think me, lunchbox. Yep. I don't know who else. Because obviously Eddie's with you. Yeah. I know me in lunchbox for sure. All right. Yeah. Have fun. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:21:39 See you tonight. Yeah. Don't be late. Follow me on Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones, and we'll see you tomorrow on the show. Don't forget my Bear Girls episodes tomorrow. Also, Bear Girls will be on the show tomorrow. So we got a good one. We'll see you then.
