So maybe you're doing something else too, like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin, saving places you like without thinking you'll even get them. Because that's what house hunting has become. But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing. It's built to help you find and own a home. Redfin agents close twice. as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you've got a real shot at getting it. Redfin helps turn saved listings into real addresses.
Starting point is 00:02:38 Get started at Redfin.com. Own the Dream. The Bobby Bones Post-show pre-show. All right, here's a question that you guys asked yesterday on voicemail. Morning Studio. This question is actually from Morgan, too. I'm wondering how Remy is doing the view going back to work. I have been home working for three months in my...
Starting point is 00:03:01 dog has become permanently attached to my hip and I'm concerned about what will happen when I do have to go back into the office. So I was wondering how Rennie is doing. How's your dog? She's not doing well. With you being gone now? Yeah, no. Whenever I leave for work, she'll go and sit by the door and put her tail between her legs and give me the puppy dog eyes when I leave for work and gets really sad and I hear whimper for about 20 minutes after I leave. And then she... Why do you hear it for 20 minutes? Are you listening for 20 minutes? You don't even leave? No, I have a camera in there so I check on her to see if she goes and kind of chills out, and she doesn't for about 20 minutes, and then she'll finally sleep.
Starting point is 00:03:36 So I've just been taking her on extra walks and lots of extra treats. My issue with my dog is I leave him out in the house now, to go to bed, just let him run free. He pooped in the floor every night. Oh, no. Same spot? Yeah, I think he's on purpose. Like he's mad at you or something? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:03:56 I don't know. But because I let him out in the morning and he goes to bathroom right then, so I don't know. No, no, no, no, we're dealing with it Because he's not a bathroom house guy He's more of a go-outside guy Yeah, peas and poops outside Good, good, good for me But I think when he was limping, I think I figured that out
Starting point is 00:04:10 I'm trying to track the mystery of that Is it splinter? Nope, I think it was, we have these weird bees Big bees that are down on the ground I think one stung them, if I'm guessing Oh, there are a lot of bees like in flowers right now Like in the grass you mean? Bees, and there's something like my
Starting point is 00:04:23 house Oh, but And maybe all those plants and flowers that you took Yeah, they were over there I didn't know how they would cost that much. Loz hooked it up because they built out my backyard for this backyard show we were doing. And I was like, Eddie, you can have all the flowers. And then that started looking at the price tags on it.
Starting point is 00:04:38 It was hundreds of dollars of flowers. Well, here's the thing. I didn't tell my wife that I was bringing all those flowers home because I was going to surprise her. And she's like, what are we doing with all those? I'm like, don't worry. I'm doing a garden. So are you going to do them as a gift? I'm planting a garden in the backyard.
Starting point is 00:04:50 And I'm going to do some in the front. But they're kind of mismatched a little bit. There aren't like, you know, a bunch of one kind. so I'm going to do a couple in the front, but most of them in the back. Now time for Flashback Friday here on the Bobby Bone Show, 1993. Flashback Friday! On this day, the biggest country song in 1993 with Sammy Kirshaw. She don't know she's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:05:11 Come on. She don't know she's beautiful. Yeah. She don't know she's beautiful. No, she's not the child. She don't know she's beautiful. Though time and time I'm beautiful. Told us so.
Starting point is 00:05:28 The biggest pop song, Amy, can you sing Informer by Snow? Informa. You know, blah, la la la dae. A big boon, yeah. Enformer. You know, so that I'm a snow me out of glare. You know what he says either. Doesn't matter.
Starting point is 00:05:41 A lakey boom boom now. The biggest news story, Lorena Bobbitt in Virginia, cuts off part of her sleeping husband's penis with a kitchen knife. She drives off with a severed appendage and throws it out the car window. Please find it. A surgeon reattach. is it? Morgan number two
Starting point is 00:05:57 never heard of that story. Oh, you don't know Lorraine Bobbitt? No. You've never even heard like... Eddie and I did a song Did you ever release it?
Starting point is 00:06:02 These are the good old days? Oh yeah. Yeah, we did. I think it's on one of our albums, right? Uh-uh. I don't think we ever released that song. Really? Where it was like, something about the good old days?
Starting point is 00:06:09 How's it? What's the rhyme? Something Bobbit and like Lorraine of Bobbitt. There's something rhyme with Bobbitt. We thought we were pretty cute with that rhyme. Then we wondered, well, people even know this? But you didn't know the Bahadadad's story, huh? No.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Yeah, mad her husband cut off his pecker and drove down the road through it out the window. They went found in the field. And he's okay now. Yeah. Isn't that crazy? I need to Google him. His situation is okay? What is his name?
Starting point is 00:06:33 A Nerf football and Lobbit. That's it. There it. Because there was a song about 90s stuff. That's it. What was the chorus of that song? I don't remember, dude. I have to go back and listen to it.
Starting point is 00:06:42 It was like. Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Yeah. Oh, John Bobbitt. They still together? Yeah. Are you kidding? Can you imagine?
Starting point is 00:06:49 Did she go to deal? I don't know. I don't know if she did any hard time. Oh my gosh. Oh, wow. You're so proud of that joke. Amy, what? I'm just reading about them now because I don't know that I ever, is there like a, surely there's a lifetime original movie about this or something.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Probably a few. Because I need to, that's what you need to watch, Morgan. Number two, it'll tell you at all. Morgan, do you go to a restaurant? Yeah, I did. It was really weird. What was it? So it was Barcelona and Nashville, which is tapas.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Barcelona. Never been. Oh, Emma used to work there. Emma used to open for us. Oh, the wine place? Yeah. Oh, okay. She worked there.
Starting point is 00:07:34 Like a nice restaurant wine place, yeah. It's my favorite, one of my favorite places in town. But it's so weird now. It was really cool because everything was social distance. You had every other table empty and all the servers and everybody was wearing masks. But you no longer, like, interact with the server. They come over and introduce themselves, but they have a QR code on the table. And you take a picture and then you order everything yourself.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Like you don't do any more interaction with the server besides like if you flip over this card to say like something's wrong. Other than that, you don't interact with them at all. Ooh, then you like boogie to pepo. You flip your card over? You know, they keep bringing the food by? Never been. No, that's a wrong restaurant. What was a restaurant called?
Starting point is 00:08:11 The steakhouse, you flip your card and they drop meat off? What? Oh, uh-huh. Hold on. You do what with it? You have a card. Oh, yes. Oh, I know.
Starting point is 00:08:23 We went there. Is it the same place for the? They have all the meat. Shave the meat. It's red or green. Somebody just yelled something at me from another room. I don't know what happened. Yes, we've done that. What's red or green? The card or the meat?
Starting point is 00:08:36 Brazilian. Brazilian steakhouse? It's a Brazilian steakhouse. There you go. Like Texas Day Brazil. Yes, that's it. There's a ton of them, but you flip the card over on red means you're all full and green means come around and keep it coming.
Starting point is 00:08:51 Do you remember ponchos Mexican food where you raised the flag? You guys remember that? No, but we had. in Arkansas, we had Casa something, and you raised the flag. Casas or El Chico, maybe? El Chico. Oh, El Chico. That was big, dude. Regionally big. El Chico. Experts think people
Starting point is 00:09:10 work less nowadays because of video games and cell phones. Video gamers are able to hook up to the internet? Are you still playing later later than? I bought the worst game for Caitlin and I. I bought us a mini golf game. I thought it was a real golf game. And neither one of us played it. We got on together. We're like, all right, there's no advantage, both super competitive. We started playing this golf. And it was mini golf. I'll pay $18 for that stupid game.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Dude, the same thing happened to me. I bought Monopoly. Yeah. Bad? It's so bad. Monopoly is terrible a board game and it's even worse on PS4. I like Monopoly as a board game. It's too long.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Okay, that's true. But you do play interactively with other people online, but it's not good. A guy in Pennsylvania got caught driving on a suspended license for the ninth time. His license is now suspended until 2076. Oh, wow. Is he going to make it? No, no way. But why would you know?
Starting point is 00:09:56 not just keep driving then unless they're going to put you in jail. He's going to keep driving. I'm assuming though if you get pulled over multiple times with a suspended license, you go to jail. Right, but at this point he needs to be... I would think like time three. Probably. Maybe he has done a little time. A little hard time. I just think he needs to be obeying every law. What is he doing? Like, I haven't, how do you get pulled over nine times? Like, pay attention. No seatbelt.
Starting point is 00:10:20 I know, but pay attention. Like, if you're going to drive on a suspended license, like use your blinker, do all the things. One final story. It looks like you don't become immune to coronavirus, really. A new study shows that COVID-19 antibodies fade. What? So in like a month, two months. So if you, that's how people are getting it twice.
Starting point is 00:10:38 So if you have it and you have the antibodies, they help you for a bit, but now they're saying they fade off. The research published in nature medicine suggests that proteins produced by the immune system to protect against reinfection fade in about a month or two months. So if you do, you don't. Wow, I didn't know that. after a while. So basically if you get it, you have like two months to go crazy.
Starting point is 00:11:00 Just have at it. And then you have to live your dreams. Yeah. Go to Wild River Country, Dog Pat USA, wherever you want to go. Skydiving. Yeah. Well, skydiving is nothing there. Unless you go tandem. Social distance. All right, that's it. Amy, you have a new podcast up today? Yes. And one of my things, I'm super excited about this. I have this girl, Latoya, her video went viral a couple weeks ago that she posted
Starting point is 00:11:25 with all the racial tension and she's a black deputy in New Orleans. So she comes from both sides of this and she, her video is amazing. I even reposted it and then she's on the podcast talking about kind of what her life has been like after you have a video going viral. That would be weird.
Starting point is 00:11:45 And she's the sweetest. I love it. So she's one of the things and that's probably what I'm most excited about. Check out the Bobbycast this weekend. It's my music podcast. Charlie Worsham's on. talking about the state flag in Mississippi, which is interesting, something he's real passionate about.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Also, we talk about, you know, Dixie Chick. We recorded this before Dixix Changed their name with Kurt Radella. We're talking about Lady A. And we talk about that new music out today. But the Bobbycast is a very music-centric podcast. All right, that's what's up. Thank you guys. Enjoy today's show.

Starting point is 00:16:40 Morning studio. Morning. A few less voices today. No lunchbox, no Raymundo. They're in Vegas. Raymundo's Bachelor party. We'll get them on Monday. Well, they'll be in different rooms than us.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Yeah. They're going to be... Quarantined. Professionally quarantined. But if we got to do, we got to do. Stay safe. Well, lunchbox sits an inch from you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Of course. So, yeah. It's being safe. Where do we start? The Dixie Chicks have officially changed their name to the chicks. And it's weird to see people get mad about that. People are getting mad? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:12 Oh. Of course. But it's not your life. Yeah, it's nothing to do with you. It's their name. Yeah. It's their choice. That's a weird thing.
Starting point is 00:17:20 And, you know, I had a talk with some friends. And I was telling them, I was like, hey, because it was some people involved in the Lady A camp. I was like, hey, people are going to yell and scream and kick their feet. But in the end, the next day, they don't even care anymore. Yeah. They only care for, like, the seven seconds they're writing something on Facebook or Instagram. And then they move on with their life. It's weird that the Dixie Chicks change their name.
Starting point is 00:17:43 I'm not going to say it's not. But if they felt like they needed to change it, it's great. That's them. Even if they were like, hey, we're now going to be the S word chicks. And change your name. I'd be like, well, that's dumb, but it's your life. Hey, I don't lie. So, yeah, that was the big story.
Starting point is 00:17:59 The Dixie Chicks have officially changed their name to the Chicks. The group had long officially been referred to as the Chicks by many fans. I don't know about that. I never called them. The Chicks. Me either, but I was thinking, are there fan clubs, like the little chiklets? They said, we want to meet this moment. The country pop trio said in a one-sentence statement on its website alluding to the change.
Starting point is 00:18:23 Good for them. If they feel like that's the move to make, wonderful. that's it. We can all move on. It's going to be hard to remember that, though, when I talk about the chicks. You talk about them a lot. Every Wednesday night, Eddie and I have our Dixie Chicks talk. We do.
Starting point is 00:18:37 We FaceTime. You mean your Chicks talk. Yeah. Well, that's a different talk. Now, how do we separate them? Yeah, how do you know when you're talking about your chicks? Wait, wait, what chicks are you talking about this time? I know.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Oh, no. Well, I saw that. You know, the news feed popped to my phone and was like, the chicks, and they hadn't officially announced it. Yeah, they just changed their socials, I think. Again, weird. That one's going to be harder than Lady A. Oh, for sure.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Because we were already calling Lady Antebellum Lady A. Yeah. Because we're lazy and we didn't feel like going Tabellum anymore. We were too lazy to finish this sentence. Laia. That was easier than Lady Antebellum. So yeah, the chicks are, that's their name now.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Wish them well. Don't know them. You ever met them? A couple of them. Met Marty. Okay. Marty. Emily?
Starting point is 00:19:27 And I saw Emily in Texas because she was, I think she was married to Charlie Robinson. Correct. Maybe not anymore? No, divorce. Okay. So, but yeah, never met Natalie. She mostly was in California once. So, but good for the chicks.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Let them have their time. Who cares? Right? And who cares in a good way? Let's just care about things that either affect us or are personally hurting other folks. That's when we can step in. Remember my two rules? What are my two rules?
Starting point is 00:19:53 Rule number one. Wear a mask. No. That's a good rule. No construction during the day. Yes. At night. Only road construction at night.
Starting point is 00:20:02 At night, right. No construction during the daytime. Exactly. Is that what you said? Yes. I wrote my headphones out in celebration. I was like, I hope I got that right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:11 If it doesn't concern you. Rule one, when worrying about if you're going to say something negatively. One, does it affect you or somebody close to you? If the answer is no, go to the next level. Level two. Question two. Is it hurting anyone? No.
Starting point is 00:20:24 It's not. Move on with your life. those are the two rules and then three is wear a mask and then four is but now we're getting to my political platform and five is don't be late
Starting point is 00:20:32 oh that that might be one we're just on two different planes here though okay let's go a listener asked me a question recently said hey what song blew you away the first time you heard it I thought about that
Starting point is 00:20:46 then they said and what song the first time you heard it you went eh not for me but then it really became one of your favorites as far as hearing it on the radio so I was like Dang.
Starting point is 00:20:56 All right. So here are my answers, and I'm going to come to you guys. Okay. So the song that blew me away, the first time I heard it, was Cam Burning House. Oh, yeah. And that's a fun story because Cam was a new artist. She came into the show to promote a different song as her first single. I don't even know what song it was.
Starting point is 00:21:16 But I was like, hey, Cam, that's not my favorite song. What about this album cut here? And so I played Burning House. And then, no, no, she played it on the show. I had her play it on the show. That's what it was. So she played it on the show and I kept playing it over and over again
Starting point is 00:21:31 instead of the single. And they call me and they went, hey, we're switching the song. Your audience loves it so much. We're going to switch it. And then we made her the On the Verge artist and then it went number one. That's a really cool story.
Starting point is 00:21:44 Yeah, that's awesome. And she even toured with us too, did a couple of shows with The Raging Idiots. And I remember specifically how quiet she could make a whole theater be with that song. Just like, no one's saying anything but listen how beautiful it was.
Starting point is 00:21:55 that's just that that song is such a testament to the listeners of the show because that was never going to be her radio song that she had a different song and that's the one that she came in with and because of our listeners they kept downloading it and streaming it they called me hours later and we're like hey we're switching it we're switching it to burning house I thought that was so cool and yeah I love that's the song the first time she played it I was like holy moly that's a jam the one that took a second but then I love now to hear on the radio is meant to be oh Florida She on B. Reckis. Like, I love it. But the first time I heard it, I was like, all right. What's a big deal? But now it's really, when it comes on, I'll play on the dance party too sometimes.
Starting point is 00:22:36 It's so good. Yeah. So won't you ride with me? It's funny. One day we should do a whole story about our listeners, like a whole show or a podcast or something. Because the other, even before Cam, it was when I had Chris Jansansans buy me a boat.
Starting point is 00:22:59 And no way to ever heard it. And I played it. Chris didn't even have a record deal in blue. it up. And then Chris got a record deal. I mean, it's just the power of our audience. Because I remember it was just during a commercial, right before a commercial break, I went to Ray, I was like, hey, put the song in.
Starting point is 00:23:14 Let me play a clip of it. And it was by me a boat. Not on Warner, didn't have been dropped. And our listeners, I went to number one. We called him. We got it up to number one. And then he got a record deal, then it was a number one song. So crazy. Girl Crush is another one. There's a lot of those. That's fun, man.
Starting point is 00:23:30 Amy, what are your songs? I went with a more recent one that I liked instantly. What blew you away? The first time you heard it, it was? When Ingrid Andrus came in and played more hearts than mine. And if I remember, because Ingrid had never done a radio interview when she came in here. Correct.
Starting point is 00:23:56 It was her first one ever. And I was like, hey, come up. Really great. But she played ladylike full and only a verse and chorus of more hearts than mine. Oh, well. That was the first time I heard any of it and thought it was so good. And I love the song. Yeah, she played it live in here.
Starting point is 00:24:14 And then what was the one that took a minute? Oh, Jason Aldeen burning it down. This song made me feel so awkward and uncomfortable. And when he first put it out, I was like, what was Jason Al Dean thinking? Why did he put out this song? And, no, I love it. I love it. Turn it up.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Hey, what about you? Spoiler alert, man. It was buy me a boat. When I first heard buy me a boat, I'm like, oh my goodness. Oh, yeah. This is a 100% straight jam. And so cleverly well written and everything. It was so good. I remember I went back home and told my wife like, listen to this. Bones just discovered this song. I guess you just told the story how you did it.
Starting point is 00:25:03 But she was like, that is really good. And it's not her style of music at all, but we loved it. I've probably, because Chris and I are good friends too. and we've done so many shows together, either me doing comedy or him playing with Eddie and I's band The Raging Idiot is. I'd probably sing that song with him on a stage 10 times. And I'd never want to. And he's like, man, come on, you're here. Let's just get out there and sing it. Let's do it for old time. And I was like, do they don't want to hear me sing this song. He does always say too. Like, bones, this song wouldn't even be a thing of one for you. Come on. You're singing one. And I'm like, nobody cares. This is a long time ago. We don't even bring that up anymore. Yeah. Which one took a second for you. Took a second was up down Morgan Wallin. I was like, come on.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Dan up, down. We've been out for a few times, like, come on. Yeah, jam. Remember we're arguing about what BFE stood for? Yes, we even asked him. We asked them finally. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Well, thanks to the listener that sent me those questions. That was awesome. Hope everybody's awesome. Thanks for hanging out. I hope you having a great morning. It's Friday. Let's get over to Amy's Facts. Fun fact Friday.
Starting point is 00:26:04 Here we go, five of these suckers. Number five. So the character who made the most appearances on Seinfeld outside of the four main characters was... Hold on. Oh, you got this. Do you know the answer? No, I don't, but I have a guess. So it can't be Jerry or George or Elaine or Kramer.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Right. Hmm. The character on Seinfeld that made the most appearances, okay. She was in... Oh, it's a she. Forget it. I'm out then. Who would you have said, Newman?
Starting point is 00:26:29 She was in 101 of the 180 episodes, and usually just in the background. Wow. Do I know who it is? I don't know. I mean, is she somebody famous? Not that I know of. Oh, we probably don't know who it is. It was it a waitress at the diner?
Starting point is 00:26:43 Exactly who it is. Is it? Yeah, her Ruthie Cohen, a waitress and cashier at the diner. Yeah, wouldn't have got that unless you said she was in that mini. And then I was like, well, no actor was. That's interesting. All right, what else you got? Number four.
Starting point is 00:26:56 So it would take one month for a sloth to travel one mile. Before I really got into this is how I was running at that same pace. I've now been out of for five weeks, but that was my pace for a while. Number three. So no only child has ever been elected president of the United States. Of all of them? Of all of them? I started to think, well, maybe having siblings gives you some sort of skill or
Starting point is 00:27:26 like way to work with people. Any only children on the show at all? Nope. Not me. Yeah. No, none. Well, we can all be president. Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:27:35 Cool. Number two. The average adult produces 500 liters of pee a year, which is enough to fill up three bathtubs. That's hot. You can tell Caleb that when you get home. That's not, ugh. Number one. So when he was in high school, Bill Gates hacked his school's program code so that he would be placed in classes with mostly female students.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Nice. Genius. Reminds me the time I cheated the Scantron Valentine's Day. Oh, yeah. That's right. Right. Where I was like, they can't be great in these for real. So it was like you take this whole test, you put all these things about you. They send it to the Scantron. And they tell you what two or three girls you are most compatible with. Why, I colored in every circle. Every girl got me on their list. You're basically Bill Gates. Yeah, still got no dates and no girlfriend, but I was playing the system a little bit. Yeah, that's awesome. There you go. Fun fact, Friday.
Starting point is 00:28:27 Yay. Bob it bonjourn't. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 seconds skinny. The Dixie Chicks have officially dropped Dixie from their name. Their website and social media handles were updated yesterday with a statement that they are now, The Chicks. Lots of new music out today. Teneal Towns dropped her album, The Lemonade Stand. Lauren Alana and Tricia Yearwood collaborated on a new version of Lauren's song, Getting Good. That's when life starts getting good.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Thomas Rett shared another new song on his Instagram that he co-wrote with his dad, Rhett Aikens. It's called Things Dads Do. Like he's flying by the seat of his out of style jeans You'll get embarrassed When he ruins your cool When he pulls out his camera on your first day of school That's just a few things that's do I'm Morgan number two
Starting point is 00:29:28 That's your skinny It's time for the good news With Amy So shout out to this singer Colette Hawley she already had been volunteering with nursing homes to Alzheimer's patients over the year singing to them to brighten their day. But with coronavirus, she hasn't been able to do her normal volunteer job. So she decided to give residents at nursing homes an intimate experience, those on the third and fourth floor. She would just rent a cherry picker and the cherry picker lifts her up to those top
Starting point is 00:30:04 floors because they're the ones that get left out. Bottom floor people, they really haven't made at nursing homes. Not going to lie. Why? Because they're already on the bottom floor and you can go up to their window. At my dad's place, there's people on the first floor and those family members can go right up to their window in their room. They take lawn chairs. They hang out all day. Oh, without scheduling a time? Yeah, because it's their room. I have to go to, my dad's on the third floor, so he has to come down to a common area and it's only a one little window. How do you get him a room move? Well, I mean, someone has to no longer be there. Well, that's not telling me something good.
Starting point is 00:30:38 No, that's right. Whenever there's an opening at an assisted living place, it's not a good. But can you be on the waiting list, though, to move down? I guess, but I don't really want to move them again. It's a lot. Okay. So anyway, with coronavirus, you can get a cherry picker, which it's $550 to rent a cherry picker for a day, but she collected donations from people and basically had it covered. That's pretty cool. We used to use cherry pickers to roof houses a little bit. Way to get up certain places, especially during the tear off. but at cherry pickers not good
Starting point is 00:31:08 Not for me I don't like going high But good for her It's 30 feet Okay Anything above how tall I am I don't like Oh okay
Starting point is 00:31:16 Yeah But good for her That's awesome That's what it's all about That was tell me something good Bobby Bone Show Bonehead Dory up the day
Starting point is 00:31:24 Eddie is doing the bonehead For lunchbox Because lunchbox is with Ramundo At the big bachelor party Hopefully they don't come back Boneheads We'll be doing a story
Starting point is 00:31:33 On them next week Yeah yeah Eddie it's up to you All right, here we go. This one comes to us from Vienna, Austria. And a man has been fined $565 for passing gas in front of a police officer. Wow. How does that happen?
Starting point is 00:31:47 Because it's a natural thing. Sure, sure. But the police had to tweet this out. And they said, guys, we don't just give tickets or arrest people for passing gas. This guy intently tooted in front of the cop over and over. And he was in a park bench. And the cop was right there. He said, hey, copy, look at this.
Starting point is 00:32:02 That's what Stevenson does. I'd like to see that on body. You need to see some evidence of this? I need to see the body can with the guy that won't stop farting on the cops. You say, you better stop that right now. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Then how do you just say, sorry, my stomach just hurting the whole time.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Well, man, I don't know. Maybe he's going to fight it in court, but as far as this went, he got arrested. And I don't be disappointed if it doesn't fart on the judge in court. Oh, yeah, judge, watch this. Anyway, that's your bonnet story of the day. We talk about the new music out. So check out the Bobbycast wherever you listen to your podcast. We may have even posted it already. So check it out. Why are you too good to let us send you dinner one night while you're packing?
Starting point is 00:36:41 Oh, shoot. I'm not too good. You are. We've tried. No, I'm not too good. I even texted Caitlin and said, I'm so sorry. The first night she wanted to do it, it was. We?
Starting point is 00:36:53 The first night, y'all, she said we, you're right. The first night y'all wanted to do it. we was also the last night in our old house, which we were renters in, and everything had to be spotless since we sold it to the new owners. And we were there cleaning until midnight. You still have to eat. I know, but it was going to Uber each of some food. It was a hot mess. Then we tried again.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Okay. We'll do it tonight. I'll text her. Okay. Well, you can just say it to my ear, but you can text her, sure. But all I'm saying is we've tried a couple times. We care about you deeply. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:37:22 We know that you're unpacking like crazy. And we were like, hey, well, let's cover dinner. We'll send you Uber eat you dinner. Super thoughtful. I know. It was very kind gesture. And I didn't end up eating dinner. And I'm horrible.
Starting point is 00:37:36 I know. I know. I'm not a good, you know, because as a friend, sometimes we have to work on accepting things from people because that's normally something and that I would have been pretty adamant about you're not doing that. Don't worry about it. But I was like, you know what? They reached out.
Starting point is 00:37:51 It's something they want to do. I should allow it. Her idea, by the way, I didn't even think about it. that. I'm involved because I was like, good idea. I'm in on. I can sign off on that. Because now we do things together. You guys are a team. Yes. Speaking of teams, yesterday was Mike D's birthday, right? Yeah. And so what happened was, I was like, I got to get Mike D. something, but now his girlfriend's with him, you know, quarantining and who knows, I was like, you know, I'm going to get him something together. So I got him a little trip, some Southwest gift cards,
Starting point is 00:38:19 a little hotel stay. And then I'm very close with Mike D. We've been together for like 10 years or so. and so I get him a nice little gift and I write on the card and I'm just kind of being funny and I write on the card I write these are gift cards for birthday and sign it and I was about to close it and that's all I was going to write because Mike D and I don't need to share emotions. Who needs that?
Starting point is 00:38:40 But then Caitlin takes a card and goes, no, I'm not going to do that. So she writes a big note over the top of it was like you were very loved, you're very cared about, hope you have the most wonderful birthday and I'm like, that takes away my joke! It takes away my joke of it's your birthday! But it was Mike D's birthday.
Starting point is 00:38:55 How old are you now? 29. Wow, you're growing. Dang. Yeah, he's getting big, huh? Yeah, he is. I'm proud of our boy over there. We met Mike D. I met Mike D. He was emailing me.
Starting point is 00:39:07 No, he MySpace to me. And he was like, hey, man, I'm thinking about starting a podcast. How many years ago was that, Mike? That was, yeah, like 10 years ago. I mean, Myspace was popular. So I was like, well, why don't he just come up to the radio station? I don't know you, but I'm happy to help you. So he comes up and I say, hey, why don't you intern, right?
Starting point is 00:39:24 Yep. And then not only to the intern, he, like, created a fake second internship. Basically, I stayed like three times. And then we left Texas and came to Tennessee, and he stayed back and helped me get a job as a board op on the weekends. But he was doing night shifts. And I was like, first shot, come. And so we found jobs for him, and all of a sudden he worked his way up. And now he's my right-hand guy here.
Starting point is 00:39:44 So, happy birthday, man. Thank you. How's it going with your girl? It's going really good. Yeah. Have you guys had any fights yet? We've gotten on each other's nerves, nothing like a big fight. How does Mike D
Starting point is 00:39:55 Quiet Mike handle Someone getting on his nerves? It gets even more quiet I get on her nerves But how? I'm very messy Oh, are you? That would annoy me
Starting point is 00:40:06 Huh Interesting Kayla and I get on each of the nerves a little bit Mostly I just get on hers More than anything Because she's pretty chill She's pretty awesome Yeah I wish I had better stories
Starting point is 00:40:18 About her getting on my nerves But I kind of get on her nerves And then I just try to disappear for a while Sometimes she just needs time without me. That really is a pretty healthy thing. Time without Bobby's usually pretty good pill to make you better. It's a little distance. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Do you do that with your wife sometimes at it? Yeah. My two hour walks, absolutely. Yeah. Well, Mike, happy birthday. Happy birthday, bud. Thank you. What were we talking about when we started this segment?
Starting point is 00:40:42 Me. Oh, not taking dinner. Me not accepting your dinner. I should send you, we went to Olive Garden. And they have their, it was the greatest night. So first of all, at Olive Garden, I limit myself. to two breadsticks. Oh, why?
Starting point is 00:40:55 Why would you do that? Well, because I love them so much. I'll have 10. Yeah, and 10's not good for you. You're right. Here's the thing about the Olive Garden in town. They were so good about you, stayed outside until they could call you in to seat you.
Starting point is 00:41:07 They had everything so spread out. So they had us wait outside. They were like, it'd be five to 10 minutes. We sat on a little bench. They called us in to the area where the hostess talks to you and seat you. There was nobody there. They took us to the table. It was very spaced out.
Starting point is 00:41:20 The waitress had a mask on. she didn't get right on top of the table and then they had a trivia game on the side that you can play and so I was playing with my knuckles and I was so excited because I was just beating these chumps like crazy I was playing against. I love trivia and there were like five people
Starting point is 00:41:36 and you're all playing trivia against each other I was just crushing them and like Hayland goes hey you know those aren't real people right and I was like oh and then she was right I wasn't playing against real people they're not no so I was getting really competitive with bots apparently they're probably letting you win
Starting point is 00:41:48 but I had the soup the Tuscans this is not a commercial by the way I don't think we do commercial just to fall out garden do we no a Tuscana soup the salad two bread sticks
Starting point is 00:41:59 you dip the breadsticks in the soup and then Caitlin got the chicken the Parmesan no the chicken What's the noodle From Rivera No what's the noodle called Fettuccini Fettuccini
Starting point is 00:42:10 She got chicken Fettuccini and I ate half of it Boom and it was amazing He's at an Italian restaurant and he's like the noodle You know there's maybe like 10 noodles There's Angel hair I'm from Arkansas What do you want You know that news?
Starting point is 00:42:22 Anyway, we had a great night of Olive Garden. All right. That's all. I think we learned a good lesson here, right? Which part? To accept love from others. Yes. And don't play trivia against bots.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Well, I was killing them, though. I was pretty pumped. Yeah, I was doing good. Give your partner space and don't be messy. We learned a lot, actually. Yeah, I didn't know Mike was so messy. Yeah, Mike. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Hard Seltzer was the drink of the summer last year. You had White Call and Truly, well, truly, one of the brands that a lot of people like, they now make hard seltzer ice cream. With alcohol in it? Yeah, it has 5% alcohol, which is the same as the can of their drink. Can you get drunk off of ice cream? Yeah, you just depends on how much you eat of it.
Starting point is 00:43:09 I don't have the calorie content here, but, yeah, they partnered with a brand called Tipsy Scoop, and that's where you can buy it is at tipsy scoop.com. Interesting. And it does say 21 and over on the ice cream. Yeah. Wow. That would be the easiest way to get me drunk and me not know it. Here's what I love.
Starting point is 00:43:29 Ice cream and smoothies and soup. I'm good for a week of food. I feel like you would know right off the bat as soon as you taste it. There's something in here. I'm going to be like, who made this taste isopro alcohol flavored ice cream? All right. What else, Amy? Well, Taste a Country put together a list of country music breakups that we never saw coming.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Ooh, that's interesting. Okay, let me think about this. Breakups. I think the most recent. recent breakup, you know, triggered this article. Oh, Carly Pearson, Michael Ray? Yeah. I don't think anybody saw much.
Starting point is 00:43:59 I mean, they got very quickly. Yeah. And I would say they're not that big in country music yet for us to like really, I think this made them bigger. The breakup? No, the marriage. I think they were like, dang, we're getting a lot of coverage here. Being a couple, this is probably made the deal a little sweeter.
Starting point is 00:44:17 By the way, they're both wonderfully nice people. Michael Ray is a real treat, you know, but I don't. I don't know that I'm a surprise because I don't really know. Well, this one you were surprised by for sure because these people, they were together 10 years. They were only married four, but together total 10 years. You know what I'm talking about? Blake Shelton, Miranda Labr. Oh, that was a little surprising because Miranda stays so private too.
Starting point is 00:44:39 And that it was like, wow, how about that? And we were the first interview Blake did after that breakup. Oh, I do remember that. Wow, yeah. I think we're the only one he did for a while. Yeah. What else? I don't know where it was, well, at least for us.
Starting point is 00:44:51 It was Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon splitting up. They were together seven years. Well, that one was weird because it just was like, bam, right on Instagram. Right. And she has gotten so much bigger again because of the voice. But yeah, that was a surprising one, I guess. We don't know him as much. And it was dad,
Starting point is 00:45:07 his man, you know. I got to say, I remember gasping when Jake Owen and his wife split. They were only together three years, but I remember, oh. You gasped? I don't know in my life I've gasped many times. Oh, you don't get. I gasped. I've got much bigger things than people I don't. No, no. I gasped at things like
Starting point is 00:45:22 this on Instagram when I see it pop up on E or people or whoever I'm following sometimes I'm like, what? Yeah, anybody else on the list? Reba and Narville, they were together 26 years. Narva was Brandon's dad. Yeah. Yeah. I know Narval relatively well
Starting point is 00:45:38 and so I know just Brandon through association. And Brandon was the one married to Kelly. That's how Reba and Kelly worked together. And Reba was saying she supports Kelly during this time. I support everybody. So is Brandon Reba's mom? Reba. Reba's son?
Starting point is 00:45:53 They got divorced. Yes. Okay. So it's Kelly's ex-husband's... Modern family, man. I think it's step-mom. Riepa was the step-man. Okay, that was my question.
Starting point is 00:46:03 I don't know. They're going to go 26 years. How old's Brandon? I don't know. No, older than that. So yes, you're right. Yeah, okay. So a company in Japan is finding success with drive-through haunted houses because of
Starting point is 00:46:14 coronavirus. Oh, I'd crash into something. Holy crap, boo! Or I'd drive right into... I'd for sure rear-in somebody in that haunted house. Because I'll be like, they're coming, man, boom. They say it's like they're ramping up and they're actually pretty scary because the people can come up to your cars and do things. Here's what they have to do then.
Starting point is 00:46:34 You have to like a car wash. Turn your car off and has to move you on a bell because I'm out of there, man. First sign of trouble. And, you know, a lot of people are taking a look at what Halloween is going to look like this year. Will there be trick or treating? Should you be going to get candy from people's houses? I've been thinking about this. Oh, have you?
Starting point is 00:46:55 Please tell us, Governor Bones. What I'm going to do is I'm going to have a rope on my door. I can pull the door open and I'm going to throw candy at them. Okay, six feet apart. Yeah. So that's how smart. Or when I see them coming to the house, stop. We just chunk candy bars to them.
Starting point is 00:47:11 And the candy's got to be big to throw far so everybody wins. The kids get better candy and we don't have to touch. It's not in those kids with Corona. Nice. Yeah. I really hope that. It won't be good by then, by the way. Halloween, no.
Starting point is 00:47:24 All right. Just give up on this year. Don't give up on it. Just look at this year as, well, this is going to be a learning time for us. Yeah. We're going to get through it. We're going to wear masks. We're going to look out for our fellow humans.
Starting point is 00:47:35 Yeah. And hopefully, I was listening to a bunch of doctors yesterday. They are feeling pretty good about a vaccine at the end of this year. Ooh. They're feeling pretty good. It could be early next year, but they're like, hey, and what the government's doing, too, is they've invested in five vaccines. I believe it's five now.
Starting point is 00:47:51 Where they're mass producing them right now. One of them could work, four of them could work. They don't know, but they're betting early on the five that they feel the best about. And they're producing millions of them. So when it does, if it does work, maybe four of them don't. But they'd rather be ready with one that does. So let's go, baby. Anyway, so Narval and Reba, right?
Starting point is 00:48:12 Yeah. I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. A mom and her 11-month-old son were at a protest in Palmdale, California. When the 11-month-old, the baby started choking. Now, luckily, a sheriff's deputy was nearby and sprang into action to save the infant. A video shared by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department shows deputy Cameron Kinsey rushing to help the baby boy,
Starting point is 00:48:43 who was, quote, in physical distress. The mom's frantic. She's crying. Law enforcement say, okay, whoa, whoa, pull to the side. And so Kinsey, the deputy, runs over, takes the infant in the arms, and then the baby had swallowed a coin, which was why the baby was choking. Oh. It was lodged in his throat. And so the deputy Kinsey opened the airway with a mouth sweep procedure, which I guess has got to be a little smaller.
Starting point is 00:49:09 Maybe you go pinky because it's a baby. Mm-hmm, maybe. Yeah, but took the coin. Turn the coin sideways, allowed air to go through, didn't pull it all the way out, but turned it. It's like causing me to discomfort in my throat right now. But shout out to Deputy Cameron Kinsey. That's awesome. Inaction.
Starting point is 00:49:28 Saved a baby. That's what I'm talking about. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. All right. Over to Amy with the morning corny. The morning corny. Why did the roofer go to the doctor?
Starting point is 00:49:44 Why did the roofer go to the doctor? Because he had a bad case of shingles. That was the morning corny. I very much relate to that joke for two reasons. One, because I was a roofer and I've had the shingles. Yeah, both of them. And I don't know which one's worse, honestly. Because I used to do tear-offs first.
Starting point is 00:50:05 And what you do, tear-off is just they need somebody to do the dirty work. And so I would go, you take a shovel, you put it under the shingle, you push your foot and it takes the nail in the shingle out and you throw it on the ground. But that's not the worst part of it. The worst part of it's not being on top of the roof and the beatings. sun, it's going to having to clean up what you threw down. So then you got more strategic about where you threw it. Because your first couple roofs, you're just like chunk it over your shoulder. Then you go, I don't want to have to clean up all around the house. So you try to strategically dump it. So did that and then slowly moved up. Carrying shingles up on roofs is the worst too.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Because you're just going up a ladder with shingles on your shoulder. Dang. Not safe. They may do it a safer way. We didn't because we were hardcore. We probably just didn't know any better. And then also I've had shingles. I had them on my ribs. very itchy and hurdy. Rupman's probably worse. Both sound terrible. I've had friends who had shingles in their eyes though. I did.
Starting point is 00:50:56 Yeah. Was I that friend? I don't know because yours weren't that bad in your eye. I was wearing makeup. I mean, I don't know. We were in Las Vegas for work and I don't know. I just had to FaceTime with our doctor. And all of a sudden on the side of my face and on my eye and my eyebrow,
Starting point is 00:51:12 I just had all these red bumps and it was super painful. And I had to go in Las Vegas to the drug store. and pick up my Valtrex, which is a herpes medication, medication while I was in Vegas. Yeah, the shingles are a chicken pock. Yeah. Yeah, right. It's like an old chicken pot.
Starting point is 00:51:30 So not fun, but I would still say roofing was harder. So good joke there, there. Here's a voicemail. This is Peter in Florida. This is the Bobby Bow Show. I found your show in Gainesville on 1037 the country a couple years ago. Since then, I've turned my mom, my sister, my girlfriend. friend, pretty much everyone I know on to it.
Starting point is 00:51:52 You're waking us up every morning. Appreciate you. Mom, don't get caught with your headphones in today at work. Well, there you go. Shout out to his mom. Appreciate you too. Thank you. Everybody in Gainesville, shout out.
Starting point is 00:52:03 You can call us anytime 877-77 Bobby. Shit. Bobby Boom, too. All right, time for round two of Food, Feud Friday, where we put up two popular food rivals against each other. Last week, Olive Garden Bread Sticks beat the Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
Starting point is 00:52:24 I was disappointed by that one, but yeah. Which, by the way, are from Red Lobster. All right, this week, in the red corner, at 314 calories. Made of wheat, milk, eggs, and soy.
Starting point is 00:52:42 You usually eat them late, late at night. We have Waffle house waffles! Pretty good. Yeah, and maybe not like the best, like you go the most pure tasty, but for the moment, they're perfect for that scenario. In the blue corner at 430 calories, their golden fluffy topped with whipped real butter.
Starting point is 00:53:10 They are the world famous buttermilk pancakes from I-Haw! All right, there are five of us voting. today, me, Amy, Eddie, Morgan number two, and if there's a tie, we'll pull in Scova Steve since lunchbox and Ray aren't here. Amy, you got a Waffle House Waffles versus IHop pancakes. Are you taking there? Oh, this is easy for me. It's a little Waffle House Waffles. Wow.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Done and done. I didn't see that. I didn't see that coming. Okay. Eddie. Yeah. Look, every time my dad comes in town, we go to one place and one place only. It's Waffle House. Wow. However. However, I do love me some IHop pancakes. So give me some international.
Starting point is 00:53:49 of pancakes. Come on. One vote, one vote. Morgan? I've only eaten at Waffle House one time in my life. Oh, great. Wow, wow, wow. And I did very much enjoy the Waffle. But I love IHop anytime, any day. So give me some IHop pancakes. What's wrong with this week? Every night, Monday through Friday. Sunday through Thursday, I guess it would be.
Starting point is 00:54:14 I would study at Waffle House and eat the Waffle House. It's perfect for that room. That's why I'm going Waffle House Waffles. Yeah. For sure, and the syrup. Wafas Waffles, Waffles for sure. But IHop has like 10 syrups. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why Wauphouse is so good, they only have one, take it or leave it.
Starting point is 00:54:28 Right. That's what's beautiful about it. Do you need anything other than maple? But kids eat free it, IHop. Yeah, what are talking about kids? Okay. Hey, Scoo and Steve, you get to be the closing vote today. Waffle House Waffle or IHop pancake.
Starting point is 00:54:40 What do you think? So for me, IHop is dear to my heart because I went there for my first Holy Communion when I was in second grade. I remember that memory like it was yesterday. but as an adult Waffle House has taken over for me I love going there to the jukebox, picking my music sitting down, seeing the food we made right in front of you It's just incredible
Starting point is 00:55:00 Yes, atmosphere Is what takes it to the next level for me So I am going 100% for Waffle House Wow I love being on the winning team Have you been both time? I didn't win last week So Waffle House wins
Starting point is 00:55:16 314 college Walthouse are champion today. We'll find out. Next week, we'll do another way next week. That's fun, huh? These are so much fun. So four and five people consider themselves extremely knowledgeable about the human body. But when they actually tested and said, hey, here's a grade school quiz of the human
Starting point is 00:59:06 body. Only one in ten past it. Wow. So that shows you how smart we think we are versus how smart we actually are. Okay. Starting point is 01:00:15 No, a McFlurry is what you get at McDonald's. Eddie? I have Cellebrum. Celerum. Cerebrum. Cerebril. Cerebril. Cerebril.
Starting point is 01:00:28 You said ballpark. I didn't say ballpark. I said, Mike, I can't. Hold on. Hold on. Yes, Mike D. Cerebrum. I just said that, though.
Starting point is 01:00:38 You heard them say it out loud around here. No. My says cellulite. No, he says no. Oh, my God. He said celibllum. It's like a company. Cerebellum.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Donobello. Sonabello. It was so dumb. Is that the biggest part? Morgan. I had cranial artery. It's the cerebrum. Okay.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Dang. You were close. I was really close. Amy gets octopus or something. No, I guessed hypothalamus and I was debating that in the migdala or whatever, but I think that that's tiny. Okay, here we go. The colored part of the human eye that controls how much light passes through the pupil. Oh, well, that's not puberty.
Starting point is 01:01:16 What? The, I'm scratched out pupil, okay. The colored part of the human eye. Oh, oh, oh, I got this. I'm in. Everybody lifts her head up. All right, Amy. Cornea?
Starting point is 01:01:31 Eddie? Cornea. Morgan? Morgan? Morgan? Morgan? She has nothing. Well, that's Iris.
Starting point is 01:01:37 You guys all missed it. Iris? Yeah. You all missed it. Okay. Go ahead. So far, not good. I don't even need to write these things down.
Starting point is 01:01:47 What's the name of the long pipe? that shifts food from the back of your throat down to your stomach. In. What's the name of the long pipe that shifts food from the back of your throat down to your stomach? All right. Morgan is your head up, Morgan? Because when you let your head up, I think everybody's in. I was trying to find him.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Oh, she was holding your head up, like running a finger down the throat. Do you have your answer down, Morgan? Yeah, it's not right, but yeah. Amy, what do you have? Esophagus. Correct. Eddie? That would be esophagus.
Starting point is 01:02:18 Correct. Morgan? She's laughing. Stombing pump. The stomach pump. Yeah, I know. That's what you put down there to make it come back up. Yeah, that's when you swallow bad stuff. Yeah. Okay. How many is that three? Yeah. We got one right, Amy.
Starting point is 01:02:33 We're on the board. You're on the board. Okay. The innermost part of the bones contains what? The innermost part of the bones contains what? In. In? In. Amy?
Starting point is 01:02:48 Bone marrow. Eddie? Bone marrow. Morgan? Calcium. I mean, it's kind of true. The answer is bone marrow. Okay.
Starting point is 01:03:02 All right, last question. Write these down. What are the four main blood types? What? We will get a sudden death of Amy and Eddie are tied. What are the four main blood types? I think I got it. Amy, you good?
Starting point is 01:03:25 Not yet. Do you know your blood type? I don't. I know that I do somewhere, but... Right. Amy, I need your answer. The four main blood types, Amy. Okay, O, B positive.
Starting point is 01:03:46 No, that's our show saying. A negative. Okay. A. B. You get B positive, A negative. Okay. What do you have, Eddie? Do you need the negatives and the positives?
Starting point is 01:03:57 Eddie, what do you have? Okay. I have A, B, C. And O. You were so close. was. I was just as close. No, you weren't. Morgan? I have A, B, B minus, and O. B negative. There's no positives or negatives. There's A, B, A, A, B, there's A, A, B. Those are the four main blood types. You would, no, you didn't get all four of them. But I got O and A, and you said, Eddie was closer
Starting point is 01:04:31 than me, and I got the same. Okay, it doesn't matter we're both wrong. Okay, you're both wrong. Okay. Well, no, I mean. You were doing a whole song and dance around it. It just seemed more wrong. No, it just said I A.B. came out of my mouth last. Okay, well, you both only got two out of five. All right. So. Well, I don't claim to be a body expert. Sudden death.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Okay. Buzzin with your name. Another name for your voice box is. Eddie. Eddie. Uh, voice box. Hey. No, that's the same name.
Starting point is 01:04:56 I guess. Too late. Amy. Hmm. Is it like Gary LaVox? What? Is it? Doesn't LaVox mean voice?
Starting point is 01:05:07 I heard that. Flats' lead singer is the another name for voice box? I think his last name. I think LaVox means... It's a medical term? Is your answer to LaVox? No. Hold on.
Starting point is 01:05:19 You buzzed in with your name. Okay. Larynx. Correct. Larynx. It is. Were you just joking about LaVox? She didn't even say it right.
Starting point is 01:05:30 She goes, Lernix. No, but we... Whatever. I don't even know how I knew that. It just came out of me. So his stage name. LaVox means the voice. See? But it doesn't mean voice box.
Starting point is 01:05:43 It's not voice box. But I mean, I wasn't far off. Yeah, no, then you got Larklinks, which we gave you. There she is. Big winner. If you start to fill a symptom, are you Googling it pretty fast? Or are you just going to kind of let it see where it goes? I normally see where it goes and then I hit Google if it doesn't stop.
Starting point is 01:06:03 Yeah, I Google immediately and then convince myself I have COVID. Yeah, I don't like to do that. I've had Corona about nine times since this whole thing has started. In your mind. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like, well, got it. Let me just see.
Starting point is 01:06:14 And so I look up stuff and it's not usually it. But yeah, this whole story is in a poll, 98.6% of people believe what they see the first time they look at it. At least for a minute, they're like, oh, okay, I have this. And they're like, hey, don't. And don't go into your doctor saying what your internet search said. Because doctors say, too, people come in. I'm like, well, listen, I was Googling. and it says I may have cat scratch fever, hysteria,
Starting point is 01:06:39 gingivitis. And they're like, yeah, no, no, no, no. It's not it at all. So, yeah, people are Googling the crap out of stuff. But Google's awesome. For the most part, right? Yeah, for sure. That's great.
Starting point is 01:06:50 Facebook is great for the most part. Nah, I'll retract that statement. You have to think about that for a second. I'm going to tell you when Morgan was talking about yesterday, she put up the story about the Dixie chicks taking Dixie out of their name and people were going berserk, right? Oh, yeah. All the, you know how you can react on Facebook?
Starting point is 01:07:05 spoke, we're getting the angry face, laughing, and arguing. I don't understand why people are angry. It's not their name. And even, okay. Even if you feel like it's dumb, it's not your name. Right. It's not your name. But also, why would you hate on anybody that's trying to be,
Starting point is 01:07:21 do what's best for them and be progressive and whatever they're going through to figure out how, ugh. It's so annoying. I just said it better myself. Good one, Amy. No, I just don't understand people that don't understand people trying to make positive changes because of what's being brought to their attention. It's stuff that maybe they really hadn't taken the time to sit with. And now we're finally seeing some change. And it's a good thing.
Starting point is 01:07:47 You don't even have to agree with somebody. Well, yeah. You really don't. If it doesn't hurt you in a negative way, you don't have to agree with them. All right, here's a voicemail we got last night. Hey, Bobby. Good morning studio. I just wanted to say, I love that everyone's back in the studio. The show is the best It's been in a really long time. And then, Bobby, I had a question for you. Now that Caitlin has moved in, is she doing anything to make the house her own? I know that you decorated it and everything when you moved in. So I was just wondering, is she adding any little touches for herself?
Starting point is 01:08:22 Yeah, I would say mostly I've just said, hey, it's up to you. You can do whatever you want or as little as you want. Because I don't care about that stuff. I think I would live in an empty house with a TV and a PlayStation at this point. I just felt weird not having stuff on the wall. but yeah, she kind of has, and is taking a little control in that department with some changes happening anyway. So, but, but yeah, and she actually has taste when it comes to that stuff. Because all I was like, let me just hang guitars, put pictures of guitars and microphones up.
Starting point is 01:08:48 And then also, you know, I've lived by myself forever, so it's always just been like pictures of me. And she's like, maybe we'll do some pictures of us. Oh, yeah? And maybe just, it doesn't look like the museum to Bobby when you walk in. And I'm like, great. I've always looked forward to putting up pictures. that aren't of just me. So yeah, she's definitely
Starting point is 01:09:06 taken some charge. Yeah. And I'm happy with it. Actually, I'm very happy. I just, I don't like to deal with that stuff. I could live in a 50 square foot place with a TV and a pisser.
Starting point is 01:09:18 It's true. Oh my gosh. Kind of what your house has been. Yeah. I would be fine. Mike D., what were you asking earlier? Yeah, I wanted to ask if anybody else noticed something
Starting point is 01:09:28 kind of revealing on your Instagram. On my Instagram or story? On your Instagram story, people send in questions and somebody asked you if Caitlin was the one and he said, oh yeah. I saw that. I thought that was either you being like, oh yeah, she is or oh yeah, like sarcastic, not really answering this. Like, of course she's the one.
Starting point is 01:09:50 No, it wasn't made sarcastic at all. Okay. Oh yeah, with sarcasm. It might have been like emojis like crazy face. No, just like, yeah, of course. Do you think we would love together if not? Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:01 True. Rock and roll. So I said, oh, we got to get the. The sound effect, the oh yeah sound effect. For like next week, we need the cheesy 80s. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. So I got a lot of messages about that.
Starting point is 01:10:14 It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. So last week, Denver experienced the hottest day they've ever had, which was 96 degrees. Pretty hot for Denver. And so the police, they're doing a compassion cruiser, which is just a police car that drives around giving away goodies, like food, water, and a hand. sanitizers and people in the community are loving it because they're like, you know what it is,
Starting point is 01:10:39 pretty darn hot. So it's cool to see that going around the town. Well, shout out to everybody in Denver. We're on the bowl there. Love that you guys listen and call. And now you know what we feel like half the year. And 96, where it's just like scorching hot all the time. I think it's like 100 right now or something. Yeah, shout out to the Denver Police Department for the, I thought you're going to say ice creams. Maybe next year we upgrade to ice creams. It's global warming. So next year it'll be 97. Ice creams, maybe some of those frozen pops, you know, then they come in the plastic. Not for me. Oh, you don't like those? Otter pops. Just a little overrated. Oh, okay. I guess if you're compassionate on a budget, you get some knock off otters we had as a kid. How about just drumsticks
Starting point is 01:11:20 then? The ice cream. Oh, yeah. We had the ice cream chump come through the other day, and my kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. And I was looking for those. What are they called? The bomb. Oh, the red, white, and blue bombs? No. Oh, the red, or the black. banana chocolate one? The banana chocolate one's the best. Yes, and they didn't have it. And I was like, kids, I'm so sorry y'all are missing out on the best thing ever. Yeah, the red, wine, blue was good. Yeah, yeah. But the
Starting point is 01:11:44 chocolate banana in the middle chocolate, oh, come on. Never had that one. Oh, it's so bad. I think the ice cream truck of my neighborhood sold drugs. Oh, probably. As a kid, I think, because I would always see people go buy ice cream that didn't like ice cream. And sometimes they'd go and look and then not buy anything. And I'd be like, how did he not get an ice cream? But he looked happy.
Starting point is 01:12:02 He's buying something else. Yeah. I think so. Shout out, Denver. Shout out. That's what's going on. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Oh, that's true. I wasn't even here. Yeah, good point. I was working from home. We were like, Travis, go in. We promise it safe. That's amazing. That is funny.
Starting point is 01:16:25 Well, congratulations. You know I'm a huge fan of your music just in general. Thank you, Bobby. So today, as you're out, checking out new music. And what's great about your music coming out, today as people are now in a more normal listening pattern. Right. I feel bad for my friends that put out music during, you know, quarantine. Yeah. Because as much as everybody's like, well, everybody's going to be home, be streaming. Nobody stream crap because we're all out of it.
Starting point is 01:16:44 But now, as soon as I leave here, this is what I do on Fridays. As soon as I leave the show, I pick out my favorite new album and I listen to it. That's amazing. I love it. What's been happening with you? What was the whole quarantine experience like for you? I mean, weird. I miss being out on the road.
Starting point is 01:16:59 I miss moving around so very much. But I've been writing via Zoom and trying to learn how to use logic so I can make guitar vocals at my house now, which has been a fun thing to learn. So you did pick up a skill. That's about it, but yes. I want to play, let's play a club of somebody's daughter. Our listeners will probably know this song right here. So they may know you for that. The lemonade stand is out today.
Starting point is 01:17:27 Now, this lemonade stand reference comes from a line in somebody's daughter, right? Yes, it does. So tell me about that. Yeah, I mean, it's from the lyric. To me, it's also like this visual of an actual lemonade stand, like a gathering place. Like, I hope that this music is a place where people can come and be filled up and be reminded of the dreams they had when they were a kid at a little lemonade stand, too. You know, what's peculiar about you is that you don't put a lot of your personal life on social media,
Starting point is 01:17:54 but then you write very personal songs. It's like you've picked your place to put the stuff. Like, what's that about? I mean, that's the only way I know how to really write songs. and why that I get with the social media stuff you don't really put anything out there I don't well like Eddie for example put the social security number oh yeah I've left that part out I'm I mean yeah I I feel like my most favorite thing to talk about is is music so that's normally what I like to do on there but I have been learning to bake things I've been watching Kimberly from Little Big Down's baking videos
Starting point is 01:18:31 and so I've attempted some of that lately which has really been fun the cooking is not going so well personally. So that's not necessarily always Instagram worthy. Amy, do you ever watch inspiration baking videos? Or do you just kind of go for it? I've watched Kimberly's. And it's like I watch those and I think, okay, that's goals. I don't know that it's going to turn out that way.
Starting point is 01:18:54 But yeah, if I come across stuff, I try to get inspiration, especially because my daughter in the last few weeks has taken up baking. She love it? She loves it. So I got to stay on the game. Tonell Towns is here Let's do a cover first You know I think one of my favorite moments
Starting point is 01:19:09 That we've had together And we spent some time together Because we played shows together Yes, thank you for having me out with you We would sit in the back and play songs And mostly we'd pass a guitar around And everybody'd play a cover But mostly we'd all do 10 seconds
Starting point is 01:19:22 And give it back to you because you were good And we were right at him? That's exactly how I went down So that's when I was like Man she can make any song sound soulful So before we get to something a little newer Okay Let's do whatever cover you're feeling right now.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Okay, let's see. I have been listening to this song a lot lately with everything going on in the world and just dreaming of a world that's just awful love. So this song sets the bar to me. Hey guys, so because of licensing roles, we can't play anything with music on this Iheart radio channel or podcast anymore. But you can go to bobbybones.com to see it. We hate that we had to take it down.
Starting point is 01:20:01 wasn't our decision, but I just wanted to keep you up and we wanted to keep up as much as possible. So go to bobbybones.com to watch or hear whatever you're missing right now and thank you for listening to the show and sorry about all the legal stuff. That is so good. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:20:20 Tenil Towns is here. Man, that is so good. You ever think about putting a cover like that on an album? Just like a straight... Yes. And why not? I mean, that's a good question. I feel like so many of those songs are just
Starting point is 01:20:33 so fun to sing. I love listening to that, the Star Dess, Willie Nelson record of like all those classic standard songs and I think it would be, I have a dream list of ones that I would love to record someday. Even Stapleton will put one or two on a record, on a new record, you know? Right. And some people don't even know their covers. Right. That's what's kind of cool too. That's such a great idea. Like Tennessee whiskey had been covered many times. It's like, no, that's feels like a Chris Stapleton song. What are you talking about? Tonell Towns is here and she has a new record out today called The Lemonade Stant.
Starting point is 01:21:03 Hey, I would like to hear a little bit of holding out for the one because I was looking at the record. I haven't listened to it yet. I'm going to today, but this is the first track. I listened to a little bit of it coming in. Okay. I only got through one song because I have a short drive to work. I can lie and say I've heard the whole record. I've heard a bunch, but I don't like.
Starting point is 01:21:20 I'll be truthful to you. Thank you for that. So tell me about holding out for the one. It's the first track on the record. Yeah. You write from the heart. I do. Tell me about this song.
Starting point is 01:21:29 I feel like, you know, this message is kind of an important one to me. And I think I love starting the record off with this energy. I wrote this sort of thinking, what could be like a sort of anthemic feeling? Like, let's stand on top of the world, just be proud of who you are kind of song. But like holding out for the one romantic. Yes.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Is that what you're saying here? That's what I'm saying. Okay, here she is. You know. Play me a little bit of holding out for the one. Go ahead. Okay, cool. Nice.
Starting point is 01:21:58 So many songs, too. I think people are. Jersey on the wall. People know that one. White horse. Maybe I just know these. I honestly don't know if I've heard them from hearing you play them in person or if I know them from the record. But I know a lot of these.
Starting point is 01:22:09 I would encourage you guys to check out Tannil's record. I'm just such a big fan. And we're also, you're doing a charity event and we're hosting your charity event on our show's Facebook page on June 30. So that's Tuesday. Tuesday, yes. I'm squinting my eyes to think correctly. So you started this event that you're doing when you're 15 years old. So Big Hearts for Big Kids live from Nashville.
Starting point is 01:22:31 And since you were 15, and you're what, 16 now? Yep, 16. They've raised over $1.9 million of the last 10 years. And because of Corona, they aren't able to have their usual event, so they're doing a live stream. Big Hearts, Big Kids, live from Nashville. It is a live stream event that we're hosting on our Facebook page, collaborating with Teneal, obviously, to help raise money for two organizations. Sunrise House. Tell me about Sunrise House. So Sunrise House is the youth shelter in my hometown, so they help kids, ages 12 to 17, struggling with homelessness.
Starting point is 01:23:00 And Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee. Yeah, so this is for Troop 6,000, which is a Girl Scouts troop that gets together with girls who are without permanent housing. So they are living in and out of sort of those youth shelters, and they get to still get together for Girl Scouts. So I'm really excited about this event. Thank you for talking about it. What troupe did you sing somebody's daughter with? Troop 6,000. I'm telling you that song that you did with the girl.
Starting point is 01:23:29 And we may play that. I know that that version's not on the record here, but I'll just be a fan for a second. Let me play that in a second. But the version you did with the Girl Scouts, I mean, every time I think you push me to the edge of emotion. Yeah, do it. There have only ever been two performances in this studio
Starting point is 01:23:46 that have made me have hot eyes. One was Brothers Osborne when they came in after the shooting in Las Vegas. And the other one was you when you came in and it was the last time and when you played Jersey on the wall. And I heard you played a hundred times in different places. And still, every time, Toneil, what do you do to me?
Starting point is 01:24:02 It's like you're walking onion. You walk in and you make my eyes start watering. Confirm artists. Lori McKenna. Love Lori. I bet that was cool that she said she'd play, huh? She's like, she's mild time. So I'm writing here also.
Starting point is 01:24:16 I about lost my mind when she replied to the text. Mickey Guidon, Ashley McBride, Lucy Silvas, Kaylee Hammock, more artists to be announced. So Tuesday, 7 p.m. Central, Big Hearts for Big Kids.com. And we have it up on our Facebook page on the Bobby Bowie. show page and donate if you can to great causes great music and you're doing it are you doing we are yes we're doing it from the rhyme I thought I don't want to say it and you'd be like no we're doing it from my uncle barn yeah I can't wait I'm so so thankful we get to to do it from there
Starting point is 01:24:49 and plant the seed for for big hearts in in Nashville this is it's really special to me with everything going on right now it means a lot to be able to to shed some light on these kids. Well, you've been working on this album for a year. I'm glad that it's finally here. Me too. One final question, because anybody that enters candidate now has to quarantine immediately 14 days before you can even go out and about. So does that mean you're not going home for a bit? At this point, yes. Still kind of working out the logistics of if it's going to make sense to go go see the family this summer, but, but yeah, it's definitely making it tricky with the border.
Starting point is 01:25:31 I'm sure grateful for FaceTime. My grandparents are the best at FaceTime, so. Your grandparents are. Yeah, they are. My maire is pretty high tech, so that's been maire. That's what I call my grandma. Interesting. Yeah, is that like French?
Starting point is 01:25:43 Yeah, like French Canadian slang kind of, you know. That's a valid question. If she would have said, oh, ma'amere, then you would have known, but for us, no French. Okay, just seen. Hey, Raymond, do you play a clip of track eight, Come as you are. This is,
Starting point is 01:25:58 Amy's getting to FaceTime right now. I mean, FaceTime is, I think you're my mare is hit her up. Oh, nice. Raymond, a little bit of come as you are. Then a little bit of track nine the way you look tonight. There she is.
Starting point is 01:26:25 Check out the record, the lemonade stand, Teneal Towns. And then Tuesday night, check out her big live show raising money for the kids in Nashville. And you know I'm a big, big old fan before anything else. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:26:36 This isn't even on the radio. I just had you do this for me. She makes this weird. Yeah, no, this is just for me. Such a pleasure. Thank you for having me. At Tenil Towns on Instagram, and check out our music. Check out our charity event.
Starting point is 01:26:48 And we'll see you soon to know. I can't wait. Bye, everybody. Bye. Here's Mike and Kennedy from the Woodlands, Texas. Morning show, not inside the box that you're working there. Do you call each other by your show names? Does Morgan number two get called Morgan number two?
Starting point is 01:27:09 Does lunchbox get called lunchbox when you're out socializing or? maybe out on the golf course or out on the lake or whatever you're doing, do you call Steve and you call him up? He said, hey, scuba Steve, how's it going? Does that happen? Yeah, in a word, yes, because we would never be able to remember on the air. We live, sometimes we don't even know what we say on and off the air because we try to keep it so consistent.
Starting point is 01:27:34 We're like, are we talking about that on the air? We're in real life. Yeah. So absolutely. And I still have two Morgans in my life. Morgan number one, who was on the show, who works for me in a different capacity now. So I still have to refer to them as Morgan.
Starting point is 01:27:45 Morgan 1 and Morgan 2. Lunchbox, obviously. None of his call him Dan. No. Never. Scuba is Scuba. I'll refer to him as, yeah. I never really say Scuba Steve, but yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:56 Yeah, it's usually just, he's never Steve. Never. He's either reach out to Scuba Steve or hit Scuba up. But yeah, we absolutely do. We call each other by the same name. Bobby, Bobby. Yeah. Or you get, sometimes you call me Stub muffin.
Starting point is 01:28:10 There was that one time. That's not me. No. Thank you for the question. and you guys can call us anytime. 877-Bobby. Joe Exotic got released from solitary confinement. He was in there?
Starting point is 01:28:23 Well, coronavirus locked down. Oh. He has been released from solitary confinement after a massive letter writing campaign. He was in because of corona and he said, hey, thank you, thank you, thank you. I have a friend who works at a radio show in Detroit and they wrote a letter to Joe Exotic
Starting point is 01:28:38 and he wrote one back to them. Really? Uh-huh. Mike, did you see that? No? Pretty cool, huh? Maybe you should try to write Carol.
Starting point is 01:28:46 Tiger King is Carol's not in jail. No, true. I guess he has more time on his hands. Dennis Quaid and his girl got married in a secret ceremony. You mean that is she, is she young? Well, I don't know if there's a difference here,
Starting point is 01:29:02 but he's 66 and she's 27. Yeah. I'm going to say this though. One, judge not yet be judged. Secondly, I met Dennis Quaid And I was kind of like, I get it He was in here in the studio with me
Starting point is 01:29:16 We were working on some stuff Not this show, a different project And I was like, yeah, he's older But he's kind of young and hip But he's super quick and funny Yeah, he is funny That's tough Sixty Seag is tough
Starting point is 01:29:27 But still I was like, I get it Get it But yeah, they got married In a secret ceremony He is hosting a podcast called The Dinnocence Is that what you were doing with him? No, we were doing something together But I don't know about the denisance
Starting point is 01:29:40 World's most expensive Super Yod is available for hire for a week if you want this yacht it costs you $3.7 million. Whoa. Just for one week? And it has its own hospital. Oh, just in case.
Starting point is 01:29:54 The world's most expensive chartery yacht at 3.7 a week, 450 feet long. It's called a Flying Fox which costs about 621 million bucks to build. Can take 22 guests. It needs a crew of 54. That's too many people
Starting point is 01:30:10 for Corona. Yeah, it's a good point. I don't know. It's so big. And where do you take that bad boy? Across the pond? Right out the dock
Starting point is 01:30:18 from the boat ramp. You just stay here in the lake. I assume it's hard to get those things out of the body of water they're put in, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's so big.
Starting point is 01:30:26 The German craft is 100 feet high with six decks. It's on mini submarine station, helipad, and hospital. It boasts a two-decks center for fun and relaxation. A pool, a gym, a yoga balcony.
Starting point is 01:30:40 There are five tenders, flyboards. I don't know what some of this stuff is. If you're going to rent it per hour, it's $22,000 an hour. Oh my goodness. But if you want to get it for a week, which they're kind of saying, hey, we need it to be rent it for a week, $3.7 million. Isn't that insane?
Starting point is 01:30:56 True than there are people. Yeah, but that's always weird to me when there are more bathrooms than bedrooms and houses. Yeah. Because I'm like, you can't just walk to the next bedroom. You got to make a pissed off in the middle of walking bedroom to bedroom. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:09 I saw that. All right, check out. Starting point is 01:35:01 Oh, true? True. Yeah. Crazy, huh? It's a real golden toilet. Like pool's gold? No, real gold. What?
Starting point is 01:35:08 Is it a golden toilet? Crazy. By the way, if your Fourth of July vacation plans include New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut, you have to self-quarantine once you get there for 14 days. If you're from some of these states where it's extra high in corona. If you're from Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida,
Starting point is 01:35:23 North and South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, you can't even go to New York if you don't isolate 14 days first. They say that's how poorly those states have done at managing corona. So you go to New York, the end. 14 days later, we'll see you then. Last question.
Starting point is 01:35:40 Should you kill a spider in your home? I'm thinking again. I know that the answer's no because the spider eats other things or something, but I don't care. A spider is important to the ecosystem, even indoor ecosystems. And they will kill other pests like mosquitoes
Starting point is 01:35:56 in your house if they come in. Yeah, but so are snakes. Get out of here with that. I just don't want a spider. I'm having a plumbing issue at my house right now where the hot water's not coming to something. I don't know. Guy went and looked at it yesterday and was like,
Starting point is 01:36:09 hey, your circulation's not right. And I swear to God, he says all these words and I act like I know what he's talking about. And I'm like, yeah, I was thinking yesterday, I was just to comment to Kela and how I was like, and then the manifest just isn't on the dial-up.
Starting point is 01:36:22 You check the you joint? And he's like, so it's like, do you think we need to do a full evaluation of the story? And I'm like, yeah, of course. I think so too. She was like, all right. Be like I would do it myself, but I'm busy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:34 So you hit him with it. That's what I was thinking too. So I don't know what they're doing in my house. But apparently there are a lot of new stuff going in with the palm. Because there's just not hot water in certain sinks. Frustrating. All right. We're done.
Starting point is 01:36:48 Amy. What's up this weekend? Just probably still more organizing and unpacking, but I think might do something with Ray's fiancé because Ray's in Vegas. And Caitlin and, I don't know, anybody else that might want to? I know. Okay. What's up with you? Eddie and I are going to play golf.
Starting point is 01:37:07 Oh, you are? Yeah, yeah. Nice. That's probably what we're doing, why you guys are doing that? I don't know what, today, tonight? No, I think tomorrow. Oh. You want to play golf tomorrow?
Starting point is 01:37:16 No, I don't. You know, I'm not. Yeah, and then there'll be a new Bobby cast up today. This in a little bit. So check it out, and it's about all new music released this week. We talked to Charlie Warshall, and we talked to Kerberdella, who writes for USA Today about country, music. So check that out.
