So at the end of this post-show, you'll hear Amy and my girlfriend, Caitlin, talking, and that was during a song or commercial. It wasn't on the air, but the microphones were on. I looked over the mic and had them turn the microphones on. So you'll hear a segment there that they like to call the ovary hour. That's what's called? Over-E-hour? Yeah.

It's not an hour, but we both have ovaries. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think I may have named it over-a-hour, but they talk. So that'll come up inside of this. Hey, Amy, what was the deal with the kids running with guns in your neighborhood? Oh, yeah. So we were talking to one of our neighbors, and he said he was outside with his kid doing sidewalk chalk,

you know, having a good old time. And the police came by and said, get in your house right now. We are looking for two young suspects with guns running through the neighborhood. Wow. They had apparently just tried to rob an old lady, and that's why they had guns. and there was a, it was a, it was a police pursuit with police on the ground in the neighborhood and also a helicopter chase.

So I was like, well, feeling safe in the neighborhood. Feeling good. Like I should. Wow. That stinks. You know. You definitely live in a neighborhood where there's. I know, yeah.

No, that's a perfect. It's very diverse. Yeah, that's a perfect example of my neighborhood. a father outside on the sidewalk, coloring with his daughter, and then two teenage kids running by with guns that just try to rob a lady. Like, that's my neighborhood vibe. Family, but a little bit of crime. I was reading a story what to do if someone is not following social distancing rules.

Experts say it's perfectly okay to call out folks who aren't following rules for social distancing, but how you do it is the key. They say use the it's not you, it's me, approach. Try reminding them that you or someone around you could have the virus and not know about it. Wow, people would, this is like every girl ever broke up with me. Same thing as me finally going to use it back at someone. No, no, no, it's not you. It's me. So that's how to do it. The best way to handle it isn't saying, hey, get away. It's going, hey, I don't know if you want to get this close because I could have it. Does that make sense? Yeah, that makes sense.

You know, I got a package for Amazon yesterday and I don't remember, I didn't remember ordering it. And it was a box and I'm opening it. And I was like, I don't remember. And it was from some place in like Oregon. What is this? I opened up there's like three. It was three masks, like hardcore masks that I ordered way before Corona. Oh, the N95s? I don't know if they're exactly N95.

They look more like G.I. Joe, to be honest with you, like wraparound like Cobra and G.I. Joe. So I don't know if they're exactly N95s, but they're more than a handkerchief. But I ordered them before they started to be a thing. Like when you couldn't find them. And it took that long. It took almost two months to get them.

Wow. I was also thinking about how to buy masks for nurses that need them, but I don't know where I can get them in bulk. Do you guys? Because everywhere I look, I can't get them. Because I see people going, hey, I'll buy masks. And I would go, me too, I would love to. And I'm also doing some work financially with the food bank,

more so than masks, but I would definitely help with masks. Yeah, you mean like the special ones? Yeah, like, well, of them really because I see the people buying masks for healthcare workers and I'm like, I could do that. Why don't I not do that? But I can't find them to buy them like and both. Like we saw where Aldine bought like thousands of masks for people. Right. And Matthew McConaughey did. And I can't do what Al Dean. I think you bought like 70 million or something. I can't do that, but I can help. So. Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I've, we've done some work with like a group that is doing it.

So they're out providing the PPE. Like I don't know how to support. I don't know. I'll keep an eye out for you. You know, on yesterday's show, we talked about the guy that wanted to get his girl on Zoom and dump her. Remember in the mailbag? There's actually a new dating term called turd, a new dating term called zumped, where you get dumped on Zoom. I guess it's way more, it's happening a lot more than we thought. Which I guess, yeah, probably. I mean, yeah. I feel like I would, I would zump someone even in real life, though. No.

No, you wouldn't. No, I think so. No, I feel like you break up with people face to face. Well, sort of. I do it the most authentic full way or I ghost. I don't really have that middle area. Because... Not a serious relationship.

No, no. Never. But if I'd been on a few dates, I would just be like, you know what? It's too weird to break up with someone because we're not even broken in. Yeah. Like we're not together. It's weird to break up with somebody when you're not together. So I would just be like, you know, I was going to fade.

I'm going to give them the slow fade. But then once you get to that point, then I would never go. Does that make sense? Yeah. No, I get you. I found an ant yesterday, and I have totally knocked out all ants from my place until yesterday. How did you do it? Well, no, right before Corona, I had an exterminator drop off some stuff at my house.

And there were amazing ant traps. So what you do is you don't call them and say, can you come and do my house? say, hey, can you drop off ant traps? Oh, man, I reached out to mine and they just told me to order some, that they couldn't come by and do anything on the inside. They could do stuff on the outside, but... Well, I can find you what mine is because it dominated the ants. And I'll add my first one in forever yesterday, so I think they're starting to be...

I ordered something called Terro Ant Bate, T-E-R-R-O, is it that? I don't know. Okay, well, that's what he told me to order. So I think it actually arrived today. I'll test it out. But I have ants everywhere. It sucks because you don't know where they're coming from. Right.

Upstairs, downstairs, downstairs, everywhere. I was on my video game yesterday for a little bit. I was on PS4 and I had opened up my stream and people would comment. And the first thing was they were like, hey, we love the post show, pre-show. And I was just talking to people through my mic, through my camera, they're watching play video games. I can't believe people watch me play video games. I would never watch me play a video game.

But they do. And I was trying to talk back with them. And Caitlin and I played trivia on it the other night too. I do it on YouTube now on the Bobby Cash channel and but people were like we love the post show pre-show so let me shout out to them

and then people were like hey let me pay you money where's your link and I'm like what are you talking about pay me money apparently these players get on and they put a link up and you pay to watch some play video games out of your own heart and when you pay your comment

also gets highlighted and so my idea was okay I'll play video games and you can pay me but I'll donate all the money Oh, yeah. But I suck at video games, so I don't think I'm going to get that many donations because I'm not good.

We're square. Yep, sign, sign, sign, sign, sign, sign, sign. But then you owe a bunch of money and that sucks. But that goes away after a little bit because you're just like it is what it is. It feels like you're never going to pay it off. But that paperwork when you sign, that is a tough one. I know.

My husband reads every word. So I guess it depends. Find someone to buy a house with you that takes care of all the details. It's not stressful. Well, I'm a detailed person, but just not when it comes, I don't know enough about that to be a detailed person. I hire detailed people

to have the details of the things I don't know about. Yeah. Well, yeah, no, and I support that, and I think we do too. I don't know. He's just weird. Did you see the story about the Super Bowl and the 49ers and what was that story? They were saying because they lost, but they didn't have that celebration

that had helped like stop the spread because if all those people would have came together to celebrate it would have been even worse okay so the super bowl wasn't in san francisco but the 49ers were playing maybe in miami this last year and if they would have won the super bowl and there was so much over there that all those people coming together would have spread corona more than it was i didn't think about that so it's a good thing that they lost they probably don't think that i mean they don't but i just saw the headline yeah did it save a bunch of lives all right what you're about to hear now is during one of the segments, we just turned the mics on, and I'm at my house, and Caitlin's looking at Amy through an iPad, and they're talking back and forth.

The audio is not perfect, but you can hear a little bit of the... Yeah, because I feel like there was times I wasn't by the mic. True. But we do it raw here on this show. Yeah. You know what I mean? Didn't know we were being recorded. But then I asked, can I put this up?

And we gave permission. That's right. Don't sue me. All right. Here's that, and then we'll get to today's show. All right, bye, guys. What do you get, tea or coffee? This is a medicine ball.

Oh. Normally I get a blonde roast little almond milk. Hmm. What's a medicine ball? It's, what is it? Mint tea and... I told Amy how I messed up the story yesterday. Yeah, he did.

He kind of got... He left out a big detail. Yeah, he just confessed it. Yeah, he forgot about one part. I didn't say anything that was not true. I just forgot the... You just forgot that you came to me and was like, hey, I need to ask you something.

How long is your sister and her boyfriend been together? And I was like, I don't know, not that long. Well, then why is he in the family group text and I'm not? And so my response was, well, I can put you in it. And he was like, no, it's okay. We can wait until I meet them. I'm like, okay. And then all of a sudden, it's like, she asked me to be in a group text and I said, no.

And we're all like, pump the break. Slow down, Kaelin. And you're like, what? I apologized. And then on the, earlier I said I was wrong. Oh. Did Naomi. He did.

But I didn't know what was wrong. I wasn't wrong. It wasn't malicious. Right. It wasn't malicious. It was selective memory. No, it was, I didn't select. All right.

Is there anything you guys like to talk about over a hour real quick? I did order it. I asked my hairstylist what the best hair mask is, and she told me and I ordered it, so I'll give it a try. And if I like it, I'll tell you. Okay. Yeah. Let me know. I'll order it. I've... How's your peel? Oh, gosh. Bobby better not be super funny today because it hurts.

I had to take Advil to relieve the pain. Oh, no. It hurts? Mm-hmm. Oh, no. I can't be super funny. I can't even be mean. He's really funny this morning. I've been laughing all day. Oh, great. I know. I just do this when I laugh and then I hold it. Like, oh. What do you mean it hurts?

it the skin or like oh my gosh all right kids I hate to break up over a hour but times up on the show maybe not showing us her skin no it's bad right now but give it a week I'm gonna be about six months younger oh you look amazing like give it a week I'll be three days younger we're like mathematically I know okay okay we're gonna record in this that okay no you're happens. Also, I've been ordering duplicates of everything I have in L.A., and it's making me feel better. Like, I just ordered my sandals. These are my favorite sandals, and they just came in. I was just using her joke on her.

Hey, guys, welcome to Thursday show. Amy, how are you? Doing good. How about you? Hey, I've been better. I tell you, I had the weirdest day yesterday. It's just, it is crazy. to me that there is a segment of our audience that got online and threw a fit about Dr. Fauci coming on the show. Just crazy to me. You know us, we're not a political show. That's not a political booking in any way. The guy has served six presidents. Three Republican, three Democrat, happened to work out like that. Has been serving the public for 40 years, has received the highest award. Is a doctor. Is a legitimate doctor. and when we posted on socials,

you would have thought, we said, hey, guess what, everybody, we're pooping on all your heads and there's nothing you can do about it. It makes me, it's the only time I ever feel like I don't want to do this show anymore. That's crazy.

It's the only, I like doing this show. I love doing the show. I love being with you. I love working with our listeners. I love the platform that it gives me to do things with everyone for others. But yesterday there was a point

where I was like, you know, I don't know if I want to do this anymore. Because if I'm ever bringing on a doctor, that is not some nutty conspiracy theorists, because I don't do that. And people get upset about that. I just, I don't know what I want to do anymore. It was, did you look at socials at all?

I didn't, so I didn't get any of that. But I mean, I'm shocked by it. Like, I don't understand that at all. I am not shocked by the toxicity of people just looking at headlines or tweets and thinking they're smarter than science. or doctors. Like, that to me is the new norm.

But the fact that it was so, that I had to go to Morgan number two and be like, hey, pull the comments off of Instagram. Like, shut them down. You know, take it off Facebook, block the political. There was nothing political about that. The guy is a doctor

and has shown over the last decades and decades and decades of time that he is doing his best to help the public with HIV, Zika, Ebola, name it. He's worked on it. But anyway, I had that much. moment yesterday where I was like, I don't know if this is for me anymore. Like, I can just go and

do a podcast somewhere and be done. But that was, that way, the fact that you bring on a doctor and it's political. A doctor during a global pandemic. Yes. Yes. I mean, did they not watch the news and not see him everywhere? Um, it was a, yeah, it was a little nutty. Mike, you see all that stuff? I did. It was a lot of like, I don't know, unnecessary, like, unnecessary. Unnecessary. like criticism. And I'm okay with criticism, but not for him. So that was a, that was kind of a weird moment for me yesterday. I was like, yeah, this is it.

I don't know that I want to do this much longer because I can't, it's getting so toxic that I can't even bring on a doctor. And people are like, well, I trust political, my politician. If your kid was sick and they said, okay, go to your mayor or your doctor, where do you go? Doctor. You don't go to your politician. You go to the person that spent their whole life studying the exact thing. So that happened yesterday.

But the interview was super good. I loved it. I told Morgan, I said, take the comments down, but don't take the interview down. People can actually benefit from this. There wasn't anything remotely political talked about in the interview,

was there, except that he runs around Washington, D.C. I did. A jog. So that happened. How's your day yesterday? It was good. Good for you. I guess I didn't get on socials,

but I mean, Wasn't bad. Yeah. That's where I am. We got a special appearance today from Luke Bryan on the show. We did not know until late last night that he was going to come on and do a little something with us today. So are people going to freak out about that? I don't think so unless he studies infectious diseases.

It's amazing that people on Twitter and Facebook know more about infectious diseases than all the doctors do. Oh, yeah. There are so many. And it's amazing that talking. heads on the news no more too. Here's the truth of it that we don't quite know, right? Nobody quite knows anything. You don't know when we should send everybody back to work because people may die. We don't know when we should say don't go back to work because it will hurt people long term with their life and their jobs and their finding. Nobody knows. And the fact that people

thinks they should know that have no experience as an economist or a doctor blows my mind. Am I the only rational one left in the world? That's what I wonder. No, because I mean, I'm here and I'm with you. And I could just pick a side and take that polar following and run to the finish line. That's what they do. But I don't do that.

I try to be the responsible one that goes, hey guys, you hear both sides screaming about their hair on fire? Usually it's not one of the sides where the hair's on fire. It's usually something in the middle and we got to sit and wait and figure it out.

There was a point too, if I'm talking Uber honestly, where when Arkansas didn't shut down, I thought to myself, man, I hate that Arkansas didn't at least say, hey, safer at home. You know, we're going to chill and tell everybody they should probably stay at home unless they've got to go somewhere

and do something important. But I didn't say anything because I thought, you know, I don't know as much as doctors do. And then Dr. Fauci was like, you know, the governor of Arkansas is actually doing a really great job. He didn't do that, but here's why. And I thought, I'm so glad I didn't throw my stupid opinion out there for no reason because I was itching to.

But then I didn't because I'm, again, you know what I know how to do? This and get on stage and tell jokes. and write books. And you're good at that. And that's what I do really well. And that's all. And your day was good, good for you.

Yeah, I mean, it was okay. I mean, I can make it worse if you want to. Yeah, let's do that. Make me feel better about being worse. Okay, let's go. Anyway, Luke Bryan's on. Oh, you got me going again when you said, is he going to do anything?

I know. I was like, I thought we were done with that. But then I made the Luke Brian joke. But yeah, so everyone should be in a good mood because Luke Brian's not controversial. Well, Gabby Barrett's coming up this hour, who I got to know on American Idol, season one on ABC.

I mentored her, now she's got a number one song. It'll be number one at the end of the week. And then we'll have Luke on. Anything else today that I should be excited over Mike? We're going to play Elder versus Millennial? Elder versus Millennial? Oh, can it be all political questions about their generations? I'll write some of it.

I'm going to go crazy. I'm going to quit the show if we don't stop with that crap. All right, cool. Amy, what's new with your dad? He's just chilling at his assisted living home, not seeing anybody. Like, I really feel for a lot of the people there because, I mean, that's their life. And there's no social activities.

There's no gatherings. They used to be able to gather together and eat or watch movies or hang out. And everyone's just confined to their rooms. And it's got to be lonely. Like, I feel thankful that we live in Nashville so I can go by and see him through the window. But some people, they may not have that. And I wonder if they have any visitors. but my dad's definitely a little stir crazy and lonely,

but when we can get out there, we do. And now they've arranged it to where I used to just drop stuff off and wave through him through like two double doors and he was really far away. And now they hooked us up to where there's this sunroom area where he can go and sit on a chair in the porch and we sit on the outside in a chair and we're super close, but there's a glass door between us.

but we call each other on the cell phone and we talk through the phone. And so that's the coolest new update that I have with him is that we can visit him that way. It's crazy that even though they're all quarantining, they can't be together either, like everybody at the old folks home. Right. Because I just assume that, I mean, they just have to do it for the safety of everybody. Even the caregivers that are working there, like they're all going home and then coming back and then they're just so. super extra cautious when they go room to room. And I guess they just have to, you know, it's so sensitive there. I mean, some of these people, they have to be kept safe or it's not going to be good.

What about the walk they were going to let you do whenever it was Easter? Yeah, that was miscommunication apparently. Yeah, there was an email that went out and what it said, but the wording just was, it was poor choice of words because I got excited when I read it because it said, if you would like, for your family member to go on a one-on-one walk, like, let us know. And so I took that as I get to go take my dad on a one-on-one walk. As long as we practice social distancing and we don't touch and he stays far away and wears his mask and all that, but I could take him outside. But what they meant was because when I called to arrange the walk,

they said, oh, no, no, no, we meant if you would like to arrange that, we will have a caregiver take your loved one out on a one-on-one walk. Oh, and not even about you. Yeah, so someone from the facility has to do it. Not the same, but you know that it feels like, like whenever I put my dog at a camp, they're like, hey, we'll take your dog out for a special walk one-on-one. You have to pay extra for it? Did you pay extra for that with your dad?

No, no, they just said it. But then I thought, well, I hope they're trying to do that with everybody, you know, no matter what. Because, gosh, I can't imagine going that many days without just, there, the, there's a, they have rocking chairs out front and it's really pretty and like plants and stuff. and a lot of women at some point in the day would go sit in the rocking chairs. And that's how they would get outside and get some fresh air

Let me ask you this, because we're about to start doing it. doing American Idol from our houses because obviously we're not able to work and I'll be working

from my house with all the contestants. Just two years ago, I was working with you, which is crazy. And let me ask you, what advice would you give? Because they're at that stage right now, top 20, what advice would you give them? Song choice is really important. I would say that throughout the whole entire competition, but especially now since you're getting down to the wire, song choice is very important. I would say now is the time to start playing your card. So, like, when I was on Idol, I didn't play everything that I could do out first. And so, throughout the competition, I would just try different songs and different genres and stuff. So I'd say, play your cards, you know, focus on song choice.

And I know this sounds cliche, but don't be nervous. As much as you can, don't try and psych yourself out because I did that throughout the whole entire competition and psych myself out. And now I look back and I'm like, why was I nervous? I'm going to pass it along to all of them, or at least my favorite ones. Perfect. Okay. Okay. Speaking of being nervous, did you fly with Dirk's Bentley when he was piloting?

I flew with Dirk's Bentley, but he was not driving flying. Okay, so, but it was his small plane? Yes, and I'm very claustrophobic, and it was crazy how it all just kind of happened. It was abrupt. How did it all happen? Did you say, hey, I'm going home? Do you want to ride? Pretty much.

Honestly, yeah. I was opening for him in Omaha, I believe it was, and so we got. up, got her suitcases. I had wet hair. I just got out and gotten out of the shower. It looked crazy. And we went and we went on the private plane and then we landed late and we were home. And it was crazy and he was super nice. It's a very, very nice guy. So it was fun. Well, he's cool. You're cool. There's always that one part where you go, okay, how long am I going to keep trying to get out of this so I don't get in trouble? And then when do I go start yelling for help because I know I'm going to get in trouble? It's like cutting your losses. There's that one moment where you have to decide, well, I'm just not going to get away with it. And, I'm just in trouble. And I always feel bad they have to make that decision. Because I don't know that I would ever make that decision.

And she just got off a long 12-hour shift. and she thought she was probably just going to drive home like normal, but no, she turned down her street, and her neighbors had put up all these signs thanking her for doing her job. The colorful signs had messages like,

today's superheroes wear scrubs, and you are brave, and obviously just was super special to her that they did that. That's really cool. Also, I watch a lot of the stuff on the news where they're thanking healthcare workers, and I feel the same way. And I also am a little envy is that they get to wear comfortable scrubs all the time. And I've said this before.

I think I should start wearing scrubs. When we come back to work and we're normal, I think I'm just going to wear scrubs. Because it's just like so comfortable. What? True, but it's a little deceiving. You may come off as a health care hero. Yeah, and that's okay.

Well, the Better Business Bureau is warning us to not take those quizzes because bad guys are using that information to guess what our passwords are and they'll take control of our information with it. Well, remember the great hack, that documentary about Cambridge Analytica. Yeah, so good. That's what they did to win the last election last time. And in a lot of countries, they get in illegally still information, find out what our vulnerabilities are and attack them with,

ads. And so you know what? It also scares me two things. Whenever they do the face, little, hey, do your face old or do your face. And what they're doing is taking our faces for facial recognition. And that's been proven, right? Secondly, the other one is when they go, hey, put your last name and the street you grew up on, and that would be your wrestler name. But what you're doing is putting all that information out there in the same way. You're like, this is your quarantine name. your last four digits are your social and your eye color. They're just finding all these ways to slowly drip us of all our personal data so they can store it and save it.

I'm not making this stuff. I would not have been a person to believe this. I've just seen too much now that shows it's true. No, it's for sure something we need to be keeping our eye out for, for sure. I have a new cereal, speaking of keeping your eye out, that's hitting the shelves later this month, and it's a serial crossover happening. Frosted Flakes with Lucky Charms.

Nine Eastern, I'm assuming. Yeah, 9 Eastern. If I log on at 9 and it's 10 o'clock over there and I'm an hour late on dirty dancing, I'll never forget myself. Yeah, depending on where you live, look this up if you want to go to a night at the movies. Well, I think it's cool.

The cool thing about that is that you can watch little interviews if she's actually talking to the stars too. Otherwise, you're just kind of watching the same thing. Yeah, no. They're adding some stuff to it and obviously having her host it, which, be going to movies, I had movie Mike on my podcast. So you can hear that. And he suggested four movies to make you cry

Amy's that it? Yep, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. On yesterday's show, we talked about a story where a guy got a gift to go ride in a fighter jet. Usually it takes 10 days of training.

And then you get to go ride in one. But they were like, hey, dude, Let's go now. And he gets in one and he accidentally hits a button and it ejects him from the plane. And then he floats down and lives. Crazy story. Well, Amy went to her husband with this story because he was in the military, went to the Air Force, Air Force Academy.

What did he say about that story? Yeah, I mean, his dad was a fighter pilot and he's been in them. He said that he didn't find that to be that odd at all, especially since that guy had no prior training, wasn't used to it. His body had no idea what was happening. Like, you can really get disoriented. and you don't know what you're doing, or he might have known. That ejects me.

I'm getting the heck out of fear. Can you imagine being so scared? You're just like, I'm going to risk it out there floating through the air more so than flying in this plane. Yeah, because I was shocked. I was like, how did that happen? There's no way. I mean, and then when I told him, he didn't even flinch at it.

He's like, I'm not shocked by that one bit, especially if he had no prior training. I was talking to Brad, the lead singer of three doors down, the rock band from the 90s and 2000s. And he was talking about some of the cool things he's gotten to do. do because I was like, hey, when you start to get famous, like, what are the cool things that you get to do that you would never get to do otherwise? And he said he got to ride in a fighter jet. So he did some of the training, and maybe it was a blue angel. I'm not sure which one he got to ride in, but it was something cool. And he said that that force, when you're up there, hit you so hard, it takes them right to

the, it took him right to the edge of blacking out. And he didn't black out, but he's like, it's unlike anything he's ever done before, because your body is just almost in shock. Like, I cannot believe it's moving this fast, this quickly, in all these directions. And also your brain's going, you're also thousands of feet up in the air at the same time. So that's not for me. I would never want to do that. Like, I have another friend, DeMarcus Ware, who played football for the Cowboys, and he got in one of those on Instagram, and it just did not look appealing.

I don't even like flying Southwest. I mean, I don't like being comfortable having peanuts handed to me with my shoes off, much less being in one where they're tossing me around. Oh, yeah. I don't know. I mean, there's got to be something about it. Oh, I'm sure for the right type of person, they love it. I would love it.

Yeah, my father-in-law, because that's what he did. It's almost like when he got out of the Air Force and didn't have fighter jets anymore, he got a Harley and, like, he rides that. Like, they just are adventure seeker type people. Well, I think everybody has their way that they get to experience that adrenaline rush. For me, it's walking out on a stage with a couple thousand people in an audience with nothing except my words to get me through an hour. Yeah, that's true.

That's it, but like I need to go out and feel that rush of doing stand-up and okay, all the pressure's on me. There's nowhere to lean. I got to look around. It's like, I need that. And I think someone like your husband, he would hate that. Oh, yeah. He would look at you like, that's terrifying. I would never want to do that.

I was reading this story about a Florida judge who now they're doing their court hearings on Zoom, which Zoom is the app. It's like a video chat, basically. So he says, hey, guys, attorneys, you know, before you hop on and come to my courtroom on Zoom, get out of your bed and put on some clothes. Because some of these attorneys are just hopping up in like half a buttoned up shirt with their bed still behind them. If I was one of these guys' clients

and my attorney was getting me in trouble because he didn't even get out of bed, I would be so mad. Yeah, I want my lawyer or my attorney to have a bookshelf behind them, maybe some trophies or plaques, really smart things, a flag hanging. I mean, even get one of those fake backgrounds

you can put up. You know, on Zoom, you can push a button and your background is whatever you want it to be. It can be a picture of your dog. It can be Sydney, Australia. It can be the beach. It's like a background. And I thought it was fun.

And I was like, oh, this is cool because it looks, it covers up the back of you. But then I was reading a story about how kids who are embarrassed of their homes and they're able to be on Zoom for school, they use that as a way to not be embarrassed because it hides where they are. And I was like, that's so awesome.

Yeah, awesome that they have it as an option. Yeah, because a lot of kids would be very self-conscious of letting other kids see what their home was like. And if they can only connect from their computer or certain places of the house, that that Zoom background covers that up. Yeah, that's great. I mean, obviously, probably not why they originally had that on there, but good thing they do. Yeah.

So let me give a little update, too, as we give the Fighter Jet update. It seems that yesterday, as I was talking, did Caitlin text you at all yesterday? Mm-mm. Okay, okay. Well, I got a little trouble yesterday, and I, I felt like I told the story accurately, but once it was told to me again through her, I realized maybe it wasn't as accurate as I'd hoped.

So we were talking on yesterday's show about her family's group chat, their text. Yeah. Okay, this is what happened. And I said that she was like, hey, you should get in the group text. I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa. And you were like, yeah, pumped the brakes.

We were just kind of laughing a little bit. I don't know that I told it as accurately as it happened. Okay. Looking back, okay. So what had happened was, she reminded me yesterday, very nice. She was very nice about it. She said, hey, because her, Caitlin's younger sister is on the family chat. And so is her younger sister's boyfriend.

They've only been together for a few months. And I went, he's in the family chat and I'm not in it, meaning he's only been in three months. And so she was like, oh, you can get in it. Then I was like, no, no, no, no. But I left that little part out. It seems like the whole first part. It seems like... It seems like looking back...

Maybe what had really happened was like... Well, no, no. I didn't say anything that wasn't true. I just forgot that little beginning part. Because I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa, it's too early for me. I was just like, wow, he's in it. And I haven't been invited in it. And then she invited me. And I was like, well, whoa, it's too early.

I haven't met everybody yet. Oh, okay. So that's the update. Well, so when are you going to join it? I mean, eventually it's going to happen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course. But not, but not.

It's really interesting. I think, guys. Bye. All right, Eddie, coming over to you for a couple things, actually, then. Update on your foster kids. You have two kids of your own. You also have two foster kids. What's new?

Yeah, not a lot new, man. We're all in quarantine together. As far as our court system thing goes and all that, everything's kind of come to a halt. We used to get a visit from caseworkers once every two or three weeks. Our caseworker has coronavirus. Wow. Yeah. So she's not, we haven't seen her in three weeks.

And I don't think she's going to be coming anytime soon. Wow. Everything's kind of just come to a. a halt with that. Like, and we have the kids. They're here and we're all just in it together. And are you explaining to them what's going on or are they too young? No, I mean, the older one of the two, because the other one's a baby, he's right on. You know, we tell them everything that's going on. The lessons that we kind of tell them is this, is this kind of like, we're all having to stay at home and we have to just save our food, you know,

and not be wasteful and things like that. So that he's trying to grasp, but the severity of the I don't think he really knows what's really going on. He also brought up Tiger King and you hadn't watched it, which by the way, I did a poll on my Twitter. I wondered how many of our listeners were watching Tiger King and those that weren't. And I said, have you watched Tiger King? And almost seven out of ten people that took the poll said yes,

thousands voting. That makes me feel pretty good that I'm not talking to a bunch of people who had never heard of Tiger King on Netflix. But you were the only one on the show who hadn't watched it. So last time we talked to you, you had seen two episodes. Where are you now? Yep. I've, uh, on, I just finished episode four.

Wichita, Kansas. We have a lot of Kansasers here. Yeah. I know. It's crazy. They're growing. We're growing Kansas. We're growing Kansans, right?

Kansansans. Kansas. Canzans. So you guys were on Zoom and I came up in one of your Zoom Zoom friendship meetings. Is that what happened? Yeah. So my friends from Wichita, I grew up with them. So, you know, we kind of, we still keep in touch. And we're on a group text. One of them suggested to do a Zoom, you know, virtual happy hour. And I was like, yay, because I live alone.

So I was really excited. It's like human interaction. So we were talking and everything and kind of catching up. We started talking about our jobs. And that's when you came up. And, you know, I'm kind of new to the show, so I realize there's something that I don't know about you. Okay, go ahead. Hit me with it. Okay. So one of my friends, she asked, she said, why does Bobby always wear glasses? Like, I don't understand. And I said, well, what do you mean? I mean, he can't see without them. She was like, no, I bet he just wears them, you know, just for looks, you know, just as like the fashion or, you know, like an accessory. And I was like, no way. So at this point, I know.

Yeah. So at this point, we were a couple drinks in, and it got a little, it was like a full-on debate. This one little question turned into a hardcore debate on your glasses. Okay. Well, let me settle it. So I've been wearing dark rim glasses since I was, the later part of high school, I stopped for a little bit and then started wearing at beginning of my early 20s, early to mid-20s. My right eye doesn't work at all. It has like 6% vision, but it's never working.

I was born with something in my brain that they can't fix with my eye or I would have contacts or LASIC. So my right eye doesn't work at all. So I was wearing glasses even earlier in life as a kid to protect my good eye. And so, but that turned into, once I got to my 20s, my left eye started to go bad. And so I have not great vision in my left eye and absolutely no vision in my right eye. So whomever guessed that I wore glasses because I need them, you are the winner. Woo-hoo. Well, that was me the whole time. I was defending you. But then at the end, I was like, now I don't even know. I'm starting to second-guess myself and I don't even know. Well, you were right.

I was also watching Abby an Instagram of you singing. Didn't anyone know that Abby could sing? Until that Instagram? No. Yeah. So did you move to Nashville thinking you were going to be a singer? I did. I mean, I grew up singing and I love it. And so people are telling me I need to move here. And, I mean, I don't play guitar or anything. So I feel like that kind of set me. back a little, but yeah, I grew up singing. So, you know, I'm on American Idol. Did you know that? I do know that.

You know, it's funny. What? I auditioned in when I was 16 in Dallas, actually. Did you get past the first round? I did not. What is your go-to song? If someone says, hey, Abby, we hear you're a singer. What's your go-to song?

Row, row, row your boat. And all of a sudden they see this 83-year-old man in the water. And he's yelling, help, help. He's drowning. They jump out of their kayaks and they swim over and they pull the 83-year-old man to safety. Wow. Turns out he was canoe and fell out of the canoe and couldn't get to the shore. Dang.

That whole saving somebody while they're drowning, that's pretty amazing because you have such a risk of drowning too while you go underwater to pull someone up. And unless you're trained, they could kick you, punch you and push you down. I mean, we have our own lifeguard saver here, Eddie. Eddie had how many saves? I had a total of three saves, bones. Didn't you have a double, though? Yes, one was a double save. Yes, the child jumped in, and then the mom freaked out,

and then she tried to go off the child. Both of them didn't know how to swim, so there I came. Dang. Heroes don't always wear cape. Sometimes what are you wearing today, Eddie? Flip over, put the camera. A hoodie. A hoodie.

According to a new study basing yourself worth on how much money you make can lead to problems, researchers found the people who think their success is tied to their salary are setting themselves up for a lifetime a never being able to meet the goal that you set for yourself comparison and your stress and anxiety is always going to be knocking you down so i tell you the one thing about me good or bad trust me i got a lot of them is i never ever ever have chased or cared about money. Because I grew up so poor that I felt like I was just, as they say, playing with house money the whole time. And my thing has always been, what I encourage people when I go talk to high schools or college kids or whatever, or a business will bring me in. Let's say you want to make a lot of money. The back way around

that is to do what you love and you care about and you're so passionate about because what's going to happen is when you chase that and you're doing what you love, you tend to work a lot harder at it because you love doing it and it's important to you. And we work harder at things that are important to us. And when you work harder at something, success eventually finds its way in. It may take a little longer for some people or some situations. But if you work hard for a long period of time, odds are you're going to get that success. And with success comes compensation. It doesn't always have to be financial. Maybe that's not what you're chasing. But it can be. And I've found for me, I have never cared about money. And so much so that I've always only done what I have loved to do.

And I think that has made me the quote unquote success that I am today. And I've never stressed about money even when I was poor, even when I was not just poor, even when I was super poor. And I would work all week and have about $6 for all week. And that came for all food. I was like, fine. Do you know how easy it was to get a pack of bologna and white bread and mustard and just chill? So that's my TED talk on Monday. Thank you. Come again, folks. How do you feel about that? I think that's good advice. By the way, I'm not acting like I'm broke now because now I'm not. And my goal now is to make money so I can give it away. Like, I love to be able to help out, sometimes publicly, sometimes privately. And when I do it publicly, I do it with the intention of how people see it. Maybe it inspires them,

or at least it opens their eye to something they can also be a part of. Amy, I know you're the same way. I think that's why we've been so good together for so long, you know? Yeah, no, I agree. And I think, man, yeah, chasing money is just get you nowhere. Well, so, again, in a real odd way to hear this, if you want to make a lot of money, don't care about money. Because then when you don't make a lot of money, you didn't care about money anyway. Like that's another fallback. Let's say you're doing something you love. Worst case scenario is you do something you love and you're not miserable every day. Worst case scenario.

I mean of my friends that have jobs where they're just miserable and they make fine livings, but regardless of where they are, they're never where they want to be because they're always looking at that next little ring that they want to go and put on their finger? Yep. I didn't know I was going to do a whole thing on that. I'll do a couple of voicemails real quick. Here is a voicemail from Wendy in Chesterfield, Virginia. Hey, Bodies.

I was just curious to know if you were still talking to your therapist. I'm thinking probably not because it seems like you had a great relationship going with Caitlin. Also, you mentioned that you are meeting her parents next week. I was wondering if in the past Caitlin has bought any of her other boyfriend if she needs her parents. This is a big step. Hope all goes well.

Thanks, Bobby. Y'all are doing a great job. Thank you, Wendy. I don't know about the boyfriends and other parents. I don't know. I would let her say that if she hasn't had it. I don't know. But I do have a lot to say about this.

I'm not seeing my therapist right now because I don't feel comfortable in my house doing it on Zoom. Because I feel like there's no more on my house that I can totally shut a door and not have, and no one will hear me. I just don't, no one's going to come listening in. I don't feel like people are going to, but I just feel like there's not really a place I can go and be in a safe enough spot to have therapy. Does that make sense, Amy? Yeah. I mean, I'm doing therapy over FaceTime. Pina Rose on your nose. We'll give her an

award. No, I'm doing that to let you know that, I mean, if you feel like you need it, I know that's what a lot of people are having to do right now. And you just, you, you just kind of get used to it. I would say the first time it was a little weird and then the second time, kind of. And then now it's just, it's what we got to do. And I'm able, I know, I get it. It's hard.

I have two kids and a husband. It's hard for me to find that quiet space where I can really feel like I'm having a session. Yeah. Because there's so much around you, but you could do it. You're right. I could. I was at the point though, where we were already doing every other week as well because

I was in a pretty healthy place. And it was just like, you know what? I'll wait until this is over. I told her, but I didn't think this thing was going to last two months, like the quarantine. Right. So, but my initial thought was I'm not going to do it right now. I'll be out in a few weeks anyway, and we'll do it then. But no, I'm not.

I'm a big advocate for therapy, especially if you can get your insurance to cover it, you know, which is the only reason I got started. I didn't even know what therapy was where I came from. So, no, I'm not. And yes, I'm going to go see Caitlin's parents. I don't know if I explained. adequately how I'm meeting her parents. Did I? Yeah, I think so.

There's no, so where we live, there's only safer at home rules. You can drive anywhere you want. You can get the car and drive. We're not going to, going anywhere. We're going to pull over in a parking. She wants to see her parents. She needs to get some stuff. She doesn't have anything here. And we're going to pull over in a parking lot and stay in our own cars and eat the food that we brought with us. there's no unsocial distancing. Yeah, I mean, I guess that's an extra detail, but I guess I understood what you were saying by a social distancing meetup.

Like people are still, you know, for example, my friend had a birthday the other day, and I saw on Instagram that three of her best friends showed up at her house, and they all stayed really far apart, but they played music and danced in the street. So they threw a little birthday party, and it was a gathering,

but they still practiced social distancing, which is what I picture y'all doing just meeting in the street I mean minus the dancing part I was getting lit up a little about that yesterday you see that? I did see that too and I was like you guys you get over it like we're not breaking any rule

and then I looked at all the safer at home guidelines that's what we are and it's like hey there's even a don't engage in public gatherings more than 10 people rule so I guess you could still go out with 9 8 or 9 oh Bobby everybody has a different perspective

depending on I mean I went to we wanted to plant plants with the kids as part of, I mean, we have to have stuff for our kids to do. I get it. Some people maybe don't have that, that layer to them at home. It's just them. But, you know, we went to a nursery and the nursery was open and they were following all the guidelines. And actually, it was the best experience. I was like, oh, wow, like this is crazy.

They were wearing shirts that said hashtag shop alone. Like, don't shop near anybody else in the nursery. Yeah. To remind you, they had the, in line, they had six feet apart tape. When you're checking out, they had plexiglass between you and the cashier. And then they had a security guard when you entered, if you had more than two people in your car, you weren't allowed in the parking lot. So, but I still got ripped to pieces for going out to a nursery to buy plants.

And rightfully so, never do that. So anyway, my, no, we're not doing anything that anyone else isn't doing. And if it was a full shelter in place here, I'm following what the governor here says to do. Right. And I got lit up when you and your kids came over for a social distancing smores party. Every day I'm just getting lit up. I'm tired of getting lit up. Yeah, I didn't post about that. I didn't want to get lit up. Oh, I did. All right.

Well, that was the same day I went to the nursery, so I only take so much in one day. I saw yesterday the L.A. Mayor said, it would be, quote, very difficult. to see large gatherings like concerts and sporting events until 2021. Crazy. Which is a bit what Dr. Fauci said yesterday. Whenever he was busted my chops about him saying that, it's like he's not, he's a, but anyway, the mayor Eric Garcetti, I think is his name, said it, listen, probably not going to happen.

So, you know, the big thing is college football. And here's the difference between college football and NFL football happening or not happening is you can't not have school in, but have college football playing. because if they're student athletes at their core, they're student and athletes.
