The Bobby Bones Post-Show Pre-Show. I texted Morgan last night about 10 o'clock, and I said, hey, our post-show pre-show has got like 130,000 views. And your answer to me was people watch this whenever Facebook says they want people to watch this?
Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah, kind of. So Facebook can push things out when they want to and they can like push us down when they want to. It's kind of their algorithm. So I'm not sure I'm kind of watching our trends right now to see if Facebook really likes us right now or not. So it's just dependent on if we fall in their algorithm? That's weird. Unless there's like a big thing that happens. The flu shot, the one that we were talking about, was like a really big part of that.
Starting point is 00:03:27 So people loved that content. of me getting a flu shot? Yeah, like just creating that conversation of you getting the shot. You should do it more. I was watching it last night. Sometimes I go and just look and see how things are going. Bobo was in here giving me a flu shot and he gave Amy and Eddie one too.
Starting point is 00:03:42 Which, by the way, I don't know how much you charged me for you guys flu shots. Thank you, by the way. No, mine's handled. I didn't give one. But as I'm watching it, I'm going, man, I'm quite generous. I'm like, just put it on a tab. Get Eddie a flu shot. Thank you, that's very nice of you.
Starting point is 00:03:56 However, then I thought to myself, no, I'm not. I just don't need you to be sick and then you end up getting all of us sick. Ah, it's an investment. So a bid it was an investment into all of our health. Yes. There you go. So I talk myself to it and then back from it all in about one second. I'm like, dang.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I was congratulated. I was like, you sure are generous. No, you're not. It's like me in therapy, which I do have to go to today. And I have a couple conversations. I made notes for her. And I deleted it on accident. What?
Starting point is 00:04:22 Can you retrieve? Mm-mm. Golly, there were two things I wanted to talk about with her today. I have a great therapist. We're really getting there. But I watch these people, I mentioned this on the show, and I watch them be like super in love. And I look at it, I'm going to go,
Starting point is 00:04:36 that's not going to last. You watch them where? What show? I'm a show. Oh, okay. That's a movie. I did bring up Sweet Home Alabama on that Chicago show. I was on yesterday, though.
Starting point is 00:04:47 They were talking about people getting divorced. No. Yeah, divorced. And they're like, what if one of the people doesn't want to get divorced? And I'm like, I just watch Sweet Home Alabama. You can force that through. It takes a little longer, but you can force it through.
Starting point is 00:05:03 And the crowd thought it was crazy. I was bringing up a movie from 20 years ago as my current reference. And you said, I just watched it. I was like, I just watched it like two days ago, guys. Are they doing Sweet Home Alabama, too? That would be amazing. Maybe they would update the ending of it. A follow-up.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Yeah. So Edward Snowden, do you know that guy is? Yeah, he's that guy that, what's the called? Wiki. Yeah, no. WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks is Julian Assange, I believe. He's, you know.
Starting point is 00:05:29 But he's stuff with that. So he took supposedly a bunch of bad stuff the government was doing. He's like, everybody needs to know this. Here it is out there. Put it out there. So he wrote a book, right? And so I'm just going to share with you this part because he has all this information. And he goes, basically, the government is not hiding any aliens because he, at least according to the CIA, because he searched through all the databases.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Oh, that's interesting. So he says a PSA for all the Area 51 stormers, basically. that there is no alien that's being hidden somewhere, at least according to what he's been able to get into. Aside from that, he also goes, if you believe in these chem trails, which Amy was one that taught me about chem trails, he goes, you're nuts too.
Starting point is 00:06:12 What are those? Do you want to explain it? The chemical trails that are left behind. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Airplanes are flying over, dropping chemicals on all of us and we're all like getting sick or mind manipulation. But back up, I taught you about them. Blue shots, Kim, but I don't believe them.
Starting point is 00:06:27 Oh, you don't? No, I asked my husband about it right away. It was a lady that was doing the stuff to me that told me about it. For the record, he said, as far as I could tell, aliens have never contacted Earth, or at least they haven't contacted United States intelligence. He writes in his recent memoir, Permanent Record. He said, also the moon landing. It did for sure happen.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Because a lot of people say, if anything's out there, people want to say it did or didn't happen regardless. There are conspiracy theories about everything. Right. So, and then he talked about it again on the Joe Rogan podcast, which I listen to some. So is his book already out? It is out. Oh, and what's it called again? It is called, and I haven't, I'm not saying I read it because I know, but.
Starting point is 00:07:05 I may read it, but it's called Permanent Record. Okay. Yeah, I'm about to finish my conversation with strangers, talking to strangers. And you recommend that one? Love it. And I'm not done because I'm reading two other ones at the same time, which is stupid. I just commit. But I love it.
Starting point is 00:07:24 Yeah, it's good. Malcolm Gladwell wrote that one. I have a stack of, books. And you can see on my Instagram, I just showing all them or anything you want. I should just finish all of them before I get into other ones. But then one comes out like this and I'm buying a bookstore and I'm like, let me just start it. That's the first book in a long time where I've been like, oh,
Starting point is 00:07:38 I kind of want to go get that. That's like when you're watching a show though and you're just not done with the show and you're like, oh, I want to start another one. Right? Yes. Fair. I don't know the same thing. Yeah. Do you believe stuff that this Snowden guy says? Yeah. Everything? He has no reason. He risked. I don't believe in, I don't believe
Starting point is 00:07:54 everything that anybody says. Right? but I believe, not just him specifically, I believe that if you're caught telling the truth enough times, that I'm going to believe you're telling me the truth until someone says you're not telling me the truth anymore. I don't believe you're telling me the truth at first. I'm going to sit back and listen to the facts.
Starting point is 00:08:12 And some of the facts I can't even verify, but I'm going to depend on people that I trust to verify for me. So I do believe him. Julian Assange, not so much all the time. Not a good dude in my mind. That's why he hid in the freaking embassy for so long. But I'm probably not as educated on him as I should be. I've read a couple things about him, watched a couple documentaries, read the stuff that he puts out,
Starting point is 00:08:40 but I'm not an expert on it. There's a movie on him too, right? I think I saw it. Joseph Leeve Ged Levitt plays him. Jordan Levitt. It's a great movie. He's so close. Yeah, close.
Starting point is 00:08:49 Yeah. So I do believe him. He risked, and depending who you talk to about what he did. was patriotic or not, some people think it's the worst thing you possibly do. Some people think he was very patriotic to risk his life to put out to these citizens what was being hidden from them. And two definite perspectives that, depending on which side you fall on, they're both easily, you can get in both camps and go, well, our government was protecting that for a reason. You shouldn't have shared that. Absolutely can follow that. Or there have been people in our history of America
Starting point is 00:09:24 that have done things against the system that years later you realize, wow, that was such a patriotic thing because it helped create a new, more open environment. But he did. Rich's whole life had to move, hid from forever to put out things that he did not think
Starting point is 00:09:40 was happening in the best interest of people in America. So what do you fall on him? Me? Yeah. I guess I'm... Which dude? Snowden.
Starting point is 00:09:51 The American dude. Sort of the same. I mean. interested in reading his book. I don't know that, yeah, you can take everything as, or like, I'm like, is somebody telling him to say this one thing? Or I wonder, too, if people are, you're trying, I mean, he's trying to put a product out there. He's selling it.
Starting point is 00:10:05 So he's going to say things, too, that might be to get people talking about it. I'll probably read that. I believe him. I don't know that I agree with everything he does or has done, but I don't agree with everything anybody's done. But you do believe him. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:18 I do. Except they're probably alien somewhere. Just that one more. I don't think so. Working long hours could make. you bald. Fact, man. Take a look at this.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Look, right here. Eddie, do you work a long hours? Do you think you spend the second least hours on the show working? Least, no. No, I do a lot at home. Like yesterday, for example, they wanted me to do some work. And I was like, can I finish this at home? And they're like, yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:10:43 And I spend two hours at home doing stuff. A new study is the first to look at working hours and hair loss in men. 52 hours or more a week. saw a greater chance of balding early. I just think it's genetics on you. Your dad's bald. You look like your dad. Correct, I do. The end.
Starting point is 00:11:00 But they say that, they said like your mom's dad. No, Mike, he's pretty bald. It's part of it, though, but it's not... That whole thing has been debunked where it comes from one side. It is debunked? All of us are a product of our genetic makeup, and some of them are stronger than others, which is why we get certain colored eyes,
Starting point is 00:11:15 which is why we're all... That's why so many bald dudes look like they're bald dads. It does come from the mother's gene sometimes, and sometimes that's the stronger gene. But it's a combination. Nothing that we get ever just comes down exactly from one side, and that's just what you get, and it's the only thing you get. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Well, apparently now if you work too much. That's what it says. But you work a lot, and you have all your hair, so I don't get it. I do. And you know what's great about my hair? What? Because it's really the only thing I have on me that's still young. You know?
Starting point is 00:11:43 The hair? Yeah. It does help. Yeah. I was listening to Joe Buck on a podcast yesterday. Oh, yeah. He did crazy stuff with his hair. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:51 He sliced off his head and sliced off this hair over here and put it on the front of his day and talks about it. Crazy. It's what painful was. Yeah. Did it work? Yeah. You can see him on TV now, Amy. He has hair.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Oh. Mm-hmm. Sculp transplant? Face off. Not face off. It was a part of my take podcast, if I'm crediting where I heard it. I heard it yesterday. But yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:17 But yeah, my hair's good. I guess it's going to stay good. Yeah, you're lucky. Oh, yeah. At this point of your life, it's the way it's going to be. Tom Brady's game wore in Jersey, stolen from the Patriots Hall of Fame. But the suspect did not get far. A Rhode Island man's accused of stealing it.
Starting point is 00:12:31 He was captured in the parking lot wearing it. What an idiot. He was wearing the jersey under his jacket. He stole memorabilia as well. There you go, that guy. Family says the funeral home put the wrong body in the casket. No. Why do they do that?
Starting point is 00:12:48 Man, that's just such an unfortunate mix. I mean too, Eddie. I know, but still. But gosh, at least it just was in the casket and not in the cremator. That should be the work that you double check. They probably do most. I mean, yeah. I mean, what's worse?
Starting point is 00:13:02 That or like them when they take out the wrong organ or amputate the wrong leg. You know? I'd go with the amputating the wrong leg. Right. I know. So it's like, you know, it's a, it's a miss. A New Jersey family is struggling and it was made even worse after they showed up the funeral home to pay respect to their loved one. but they put the wrong casket
Starting point is 00:13:22 one body in the casket for viewing. That sucks. Although you can fix that pretty easily as long as the other body's in the back. Give us 30 minutes. It's like Kmart. Do you have the shirt in a different size? Can you imagine?
Starting point is 00:13:35 Like as a family we're walking out to do a viewing and then it's not your loved one? It's probably a quick one or two people that saw it first so only a couple people. That's not Jim. Okay. Sir, excuse me.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Maybe hair and makeup. My uncle Frank is not. Not a 42-year-old middle-aged woman. 42-year-old middle-age. And there's probably confusion for a good, like, 10 minutes. Like, it's not? Are you sure? For you sure, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:01 The most dangerous cities in America. I have this list here. Any guesses, Amy? Oh, Chicago. I'm going to give you the top five. Nope. Chicago did not make the list. Really?
Starting point is 00:14:13 Wow. I was in Chicago yesterday, all day yesterday, did not get murdered or mobbed. Good for you. Good. Right. Okay. Interesting. Well, the New York City.
Starting point is 00:14:23 Compton. Okay. You're struggling. Amy's just yelling things. Stockton, California is number 10. Okay. Number nine, Milwaukee. Really?
Starting point is 00:14:33 Which, by the way, loved it. Number eight, Little Rock. What? Yeah, that's probably true. Little Rock. Man, I was there and it was fantastic. Didn't get robbed. Cleveland at seven.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Kansas City at six. Here are the worst five cities. Oh, no. Most dangerous cities in America. At number five, The Lou. Oh, the Lou. St. Louis.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Oh. At number four. The Moore, Baltimore. Oh, yeah. Are these names you're making up? At number three, the ham. Birmingham. Oh, I thought it was the Hamptons.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Oh, man. At number two, the Fiss. That's right, Memphis. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. And at number one, the most dangerous city in America, the oit. Detroit.
Starting point is 00:15:13 That's right. What if they were called the oit? The oit. Yeah, Amy has to go in a second. So the bathroom. What? You said I'm 15 after you had to go get on an airplane. I do, but, like, I also, I'm going to have to go to the bathroom before I go to get on an airplane.
Starting point is 00:15:31 So, like, I remember at, like, 10 a.m. whenever we started, I was like, I had to go then. Now I really have to go. Everybody had a bathroom break today. I took it. I took it. I take it already. I just tried it. And I've really cut back on my water just so that I won't have to be annoying. My doctor said I should drink 64 ounces a day. More than that. You kidding me? More, you should drink more than that.
Starting point is 00:15:54 That's only four 16 ounces. Yeah. Four bottles. Eddie, you're bigger. Like, as a man. No, no, no, no, no. As a man. As a man, you're big.
Starting point is 00:16:05 I'm saying, I have to drink more than that and you're bigger than me. And you're active. If you work out, you should drink more. I walk the dog. Okay. You also are in a band. Like you perform and stuff. That's like a workout.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Not because we're doing comedy shows. I was just going to roll with it. We're in the full band shows. We're all over the place. But we're doing comedy shows where we're being funny and telling jokes. Yeah. And doing funny joke songs, not running around. But I still walk the dog for a long time.
Starting point is 00:16:32 Does your heart rate get up? Yeah. You have to go. Amy's packing your stuff up. Amy's going to go. We're going to go. Have a great weekend. And I think that's it.
Starting point is 00:16:42 Everybody good? Yeah, we're good. Yeah. Amazing. Goodbye, everyone. Here, I'm about to play for you Friday's show. This is today's show from the very beginning. I hope you and have a great weekend.

We'll get to what's the haps coming up a little later. I just wanted to start with this. Because in my mind, this is what's happening. Amy was confused for us. celebrity at an event. She just told me about this.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Stop it. Well, let me say who this. What celebrity do you think Amy looks like? Marin Morris. Okay, was not Marin Morris. That girl, Carrie Russell. Not Perry Russell. So you walk into an event.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Yes. And they say, he starts yelling at me. And then he starts elbowing his wife. Like yelling at you, like in a bad way? No, yelling my name, my celebrity name. Okay. Because he thinks that I mean, he's like yelling at his wife. You're like, look, look, Mandy Moore.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Mandy Moore. I walked into this VIP area, which is where, like, probably Mandy Moore would be if she was there. Oh, boy. And he thought that was Mandy Moore. Then later in the night, he came up and apologized to me. And I thought, why is he apologizing? That's like a huge compliment. Are you kidding?
Starting point is 00:21:45 You thought I was Mandy Moore. Stop apologizing, you know? And how'd that make you feel? This made me feel great. I love Mandy Moore. I'm looking at pictures of her now. I went to Google Images. And Amy, I'm going to tell you.
Starting point is 00:21:56 What? Were you like? A little bit you do look like her. Shut up. Yeah. I thought I was going to do the opposite, but I'm just trying to be true here. I can definitely see how you could be confused from Mandy Moore. Yes.
Starting point is 00:22:08 Yes. Okay. I just glanced the screen and I thought. Like her new look with dark hair and it's very wavy. You squint your eyes a little bit? If you turn backwards. Take your glasses off. And you look at a mirror.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Right. A little bit. The hair color kind of the same. Hair color. But I wonder why. You would think Mandy Moore, was she in town? I don't know. I just think, who knows?
Starting point is 00:22:28 He just thought, I don't really know that he was all there. Oh, he'd been drinking. Okay, if you squint and you've had seven vodka tonics. There you go. He had some, yeah, Rita's. Well, I can see that you could definitely pull off Mandy Moore. Thanks. If you had a lot to drink.
Starting point is 00:22:45 I mean, I was like, yes, it like made my night. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Netflix's most watched show. Show. Get this drum roll. Amy? The most watched, like, Netflix original? It just says Netflix's most watched show.
Starting point is 00:23:06 A Friends. It is not Friends. Oh. Friends is at number two. I'll walk it backward. Okay. And number 10 is Ozark. It's good stuff.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Top 10 Netflix show. I watched the first season. I don't think I've seen the whole second. And there may be a third now. Is that right? Yeah. Soon. Is it back?
Starting point is 00:23:24 Not yet. Not yet. I was like, I better know about this. Okay. So there's only two seasons? Yes. And you guys love that show, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:30 That's good. Parks and Rec at number nine. Oh, I've never watched that on Netflix. Okay. Supernatural at 8. That's like a WB show? Yeah. One of the, what is it?
Starting point is 00:23:42 CW? CW. Okay. Orange is the new black at 7. Shameless at 6. Now that's the one I looked at and I was like, shameless. People love shameless. I've never seen any of it.
Starting point is 00:23:53 Anyone on the show, a shameless watcher? Shameless is great. Yeah? What's it about? It's about a family in Chicago. They're kind of poor and the dad's like an addict and the family's just crazy and the about and then the dynamic is just always having each other's back. It's really good.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Kind of dirty. Criminal Minds at 5. NCIS at 4, Graze Anatomy at 3, friends at 2. The number one show is the office? I'm trying to cue Ray to hit the theme song to the show. Oh, okay. Yes, the office. Wait for it.
Starting point is 00:24:30 Yeah, it's the number one biggest Netflix show. Wow. I watch it every day. That's how you know I'm home on my Instagram because I always post a Instagram story of me watching the office at night. So yeah, there you go. Stranger Things didn't make the top 10.
Starting point is 00:24:43 I'm shocked. I was just thinking that. I never watched the new season of Stranger Things. Is it season three, the new season? Did you like that, Mikey? Yeah. Oh. Well, so there you go.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Let me grab a call from Dawn in Florida. Don, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. What's happening? Morning, studio. Morning. Hey, Bobby, I was wondering if you think that your keto diet is helping with your brain fog. I don't know that the keto
Starting point is 00:25:12 is, and I, again, I haven't committed to 100% keto. I'm pretty keto-ish. You had the animal crackers yesterday. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Okay, yeah. But for mostly, what's been helping me a bit is doing this. I only eat in an eight-hour window.
Starting point is 00:25:27 Every time you say it this way I love it. I'm done, I have eight hours to eat And then I'm done What are you doing those 16 hours? I'm just not eating Oh, what do they call that? I call it the eight hour, no-eat diet
Starting point is 00:25:40 Wait, the eight-hour only So We got you, we got you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bobby's, he's doing the diet of the people. At 9 a.m., I have a bar. At 11, I have lunch. At 4.58-ish, I have dinner.
Starting point is 00:25:57 then I don't eat again until the next morning. And what happens is my body's not just trying to digest all this food so late. I'm sleeping better. I don't know that my brain fog is full. I think that's just a sleep issue more than anything. Or I have a brain disease. One of the two is happening. And I haven't been in to check it out yet.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Maybe it's a tumor. No, it's not a tumor. I love how you still operate even with brain fog because you're still sharp and together and know all these random facts and you can still, you're functioning. But yet, this is you on brain fog? Like, I'll take that. You're faster than we are. I know, I'll take Bobby on brain fog any day.
Starting point is 00:26:29 I feel at times super slow. And sometimes I just cannot connect my thought. Like a minute ago, Eddie and I were making a joke about sports. And I was like, I can't think of the day. So then I just have to go a whole different path and sell out for the weaker joke. Oh, man. Welcome to my life. Struggle's real, right, Amy?
Starting point is 00:26:44 Yeah. Yesterday, I was in Chicago and I was going to go do a little segment on the show called Windy City Live, which is like a studio audience. It's like basically Ryan and Kelly, but for Chicago, and they run on the ABC affiliate there. and I go up and they say, hey, the people that I know at the radio station were like, hey, you're going to go do a segment on the show and they're going to interview you. And I was like, cool, talk about American Idol or something that I'm on, ABC. They'll probably want to know a little bit of dancing with the stars because it's on right now.
Starting point is 00:27:09 And so I go up. And I get there and it's like five minutes before the show starts because I'm just going to go hop and do a segment, not a big deal. And I'm just in jeans and a camouflage jacket that got from Target. No big deal. And so I walk in and the girl's like, oh, come on in. and they're like hustling me in real quick. I'm like, wow, there's a lot, a lot happening here for your boy to get one segment.
Starting point is 00:27:30 Like, they're really, like, happy I'm here. I was hosting the show. Nobody told me. They're like, yeah. You were the host? I did the first, like, almost half hour as a co-host of the show. They were like, here's your packet. And I'm like, they want me to learn all this for me to be interviewed up?
Starting point is 00:27:47 It was like male birth control. I didn't need the packet because we talked about things on this show, like the news and stuff. And it was a great time. I had a great time. I would love to go back and do that show, but I had no idea that I was doing more than a three-minute interview segment. And they were like, you're on.
Starting point is 00:27:59 I was way underdressed. I had bedhead. The whole thing was, and here I go, I walk into a studio audience and like, all right, you're on. And I was like,
Starting point is 00:28:08 okay, well. And it had a little bit of brain fog, is my point. I could feel things not connecting at times. But I think it went pretty well yesterday. Did you give them heads up? Sorry,
Starting point is 00:28:16 I got brain fog. I don't tell people. I just let them just think I'm moderately fast. at that time. I called Amy yesterday from the bathroom of the TV show. And I said, hey, Amy, we've got to figure out if we're going to dress up to go to the children's hospital because we've been told on and off. We're going to the children's hospital on Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:28:37 St. Jude, we're taking a tour bus. And Eddie and I are going to play as the raging idiots. And Kaylee Hammock is coming with us and we're going to play for the kids and decorate Christmas bags. And Amy's like, well, I want to go. So we were going to get dressed for Halloween. I designed the perfect costume. It's from the office. It's Recyclops.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Everybody's favorite Halloween character. Yeah. Yeah. It is good that you're going to be spreading a message of recycling. That's right. No more single-use plastic, folks. This bottle here, I've had four days in a row. That's why there's no lid.
Starting point is 00:29:08 I haven't been able to track the lid down. Oh, great. Now you're going to have to get a new one. But I've had this bottle. I'm really trying to take single-use plastic now to double or triple or quadruple-use plastic. And so I'm going to be this character. So Eddie and I're going to play our song.
Starting point is 00:29:22 songs at the children's hospital, but we have a song called the emoji love song. Oh. Now here's the thing. And this is on our live record that we just did. We have a line that goes, so let me sing about it goes, send you a smiley face when I'm feeling great. If it's your birthday, I'll send you a cake. And when I'm lonely, I'll send you the big egg plant. And we can't sing that line at the children's hospital. However, here's what we're going to change it to. Okay. And when I'm hungry, I'll send you the big egg plant. Perfect. Huh? Not quite the same message, but yes. And you eat eggplants.
Starting point is 00:29:55 Is that acceptable or no? You don't think so? You could say, like, I'll send you the big... But hungry and lonely, it works. Cilibals, it fits right in. Hungry. When I'm hungry, I'll send you the big eggplant. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:10 Okay. You don't like that? No, I do. I think it fits. But, like, why not just leave it? I mean, because minds can go all kinds of places. When I'm lonely, I'll send you the big eggplant in a children's hospital. Be fair, I sing that to my kids.
Starting point is 00:30:23 And they don't notice it. But hungry, you eat eggplant. Okay. I'm just saying you could... I had eggplant on my salad in Chicago. Okay. Amy, you think that's dirty too? When I'm hungry, I'll send you the...
Starting point is 00:30:33 Big cheesecake. Holly, there's so many emojis you can't send. They still have the same message, like a banana. Okay. Or... Hey, we'll play this. This is a short song. This is live from Boston.
Starting point is 00:30:44 This is the emoji love song from The Raging Idiots. By the way, we'll be in Vegas coming up a couple weeks. Tulsa next week, I'm sold out at Hard Rock. But here's the emoji love song. You think about it. On the other side, Amy, you can fix the line. Looking at all the food emojis, so yeah. It's got to be, when I'm hungry, I'll send you the big bop, bop.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Let's keep eggplant, though. I got it. Okay, let's come back with it. Ramoneau hit us the song. We'll come back. Hey, guys, so because of licensing rules, we can't play anything with music on this Iheart radio channel or podcast anymore. But you can go to bobbybones.com to see it.
Starting point is 00:31:15 We hate that we had to take it down. It wasn't our decision. But I just wanted to keep you up, and we wanted to keep up as much as possible. So go to bobbybones.com to watch or hear whatever you're missing right now. And thank you for listening to the show. And sorry about all the legal stuff. Amy, what's the line where so instead of, And when I'm lonely, I'll send you the big egg plant.
Starting point is 00:31:36 You're suggesting. When I'm hungry, I'll send you the big pancake. The big pancake. It's not bad. A big pancake, maybe. What's the stack? What else you got? And when I'm hungry, I'll send you the big old shrimp.
Starting point is 00:31:52 That's funny, Amy. That's very funny. The big old shrimp. It's got to be old shrimp. When I'm hungry, I'll send you the big old shrimp. That word. Not bad. That's not bad.
Starting point is 00:32:04 They're not bad. We're not changing the song. Writing cred. That's funny. You want to go with big old shrimp? Let's go. I like it. And when I'm hungry, I'll send you the big old shrimp.
Starting point is 00:32:17 Let's try the pancake. Big old, what is it? Big pancake. The big pancake. When I'm hungry, I'll send you the big pancake. The pancakes, though, because in the emoji, it's a stack. The big pancakes? We got to do big old shrimp.
Starting point is 00:32:31 Do you want to try pancakes real quick? When I'm hungry, I'll send you the big pancakes. No. I mean, whatever. Big old shrimp. Big all shrimp. Do it. Okay, I'm getting texts here.
Starting point is 00:32:42 When I'm hungry, I'll send you the pizza pie. When I'm hungry, I'll send you the big cupcake. Okay. Okay? Big old shrimp's better. I'll send you a pizza slice. I'll send you the bowl of rice. But we already have pizza in there.
Starting point is 00:32:59 We're going big old shrimp. Yes. Okay, that's what we'll wait at St. Jude's next week. Big old shrimp. Kaylee Hammas is going to come out and play all these awesome songs, so we're going to be like, I'll send you the big old shrimp. That's how we do it.
Starting point is 00:33:10 That's true. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we are wearing costumes at the Children's Hospital? Yes. That's Amy's call, by the way. I hit her yesterday. I said, I'm good either way, because they said not to
Starting point is 00:33:19 and they said you can't again. I said, I have mine ready. What is yours? I'm a skeleton. Okay, you're a skeleton. Yeah. Okay. Is that bad like?
Starting point is 00:33:29 You can do whatever you want. Eddie? Well, I was going to be a big egg plant, but now I guess they'll be a big old. Yeah, I bet we can find. I'm definitely looking into emojis. Oh, that's funny. Yeah, be an emoji.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Bobby is yours an emoji? Mine's recycle. Oh, yeah, that's right. He's got a good message, though. Yeah. Recycling. Mine is an emoji. They have skeletons.
Starting point is 00:33:48 Mine's like a black. body suit with gold bones. I don't know. Yeah, body suit? Like how body? No, not that body. I mean, it's like a one-sy. By the way, let me mention our movie, our scary movie draft. Eddie finished last last night.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Oh my gosh. Because he was close. You're out again. Real close. I won yesterday. So we will move on with another round. On Tuesday, we're going to do songs that make you happy.
Starting point is 00:34:17 That'll be the draft on Tuesday. Songs that make you happy But you have to be truthful. Songs that make you happy are sad. Don't mean fact-checking me on this. No, it's songs that make you happy. There you go. Don't sell out on yourself.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Yeah, it better be the sad songs. Bobby's like, everybody hurts. It makes me so happy. Let me do Deborah in Illinois, who is on the phone. I want to talk to her. Hey, Deborah, thank you for calling the show. What's happening? Bobby Bones, this is ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:34:48 I was strolling through my face. and I saw you and it said, call the show. So I called the show and it was busy, hopped in the shower, called right back. Here I am. Well, we're so glad that you called. This is so cool. What do you want to say? I'm from Chicago.
Starting point is 00:35:01 I just want to say that I love your show. I drive my child to high school every day and my daughter to school every day and we turn you on and we love the morning corning because we get in right at that time. And it's just so nice to have a show on that is clean and funny and you guys are kind and you're good people. And it's super cool. Thank you for that. Well, I appreciate the compliment.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Thank you so much. You're welcome. And before you hang up. Yep, go ahead. I'm sorry, Bobby. This is like a once-in-a-life-time thing, so give me three seconds. Sure, go ahead. So I thought the highlight of my day-to-day was buying my Brett Eldridge tickets for the
Starting point is 00:35:35 Globe concert at the Chicago Theater at 10 o'clock. This trumps it. And I'm the biggest Brett Eldridge fan. You got to know that. But this is the coolest thing to happen on a Friday in a very long time for me. So thanks for taking the time. There she is. Deborah, everybody.
Starting point is 00:35:48 There she is. I was in Chicago all day yesterday. I was, I was, uh... You should have called. I know, I tried. I know, I tried. Deborah, thank you. See you later.
Starting point is 00:35:57 All right, Barbara. All right, bye. Elizabeth in Washington, D.C., you were on the air. Elizabeth, talk to me here. I am. Oh, no, do we lose her? Elizabeth. How do you get on for one second before it cut you off?
Starting point is 00:36:12 Right? We heard her go, right? Bobby? Oh, there she is. Elizabeth, go ahead. All right, that... All right, well, that's a good call. She has a good run.
Starting point is 00:36:22 Close. He had two shots at it. It was a good run. Let's do one more. Let's go Rebecca in Arkansas. Rebecca, last call. What's happening? Hey, you're on the air. Can you hear me? Sorry.
Starting point is 00:36:33 So, first of all, so excited that I finally got so big fan from Arkansas. I wanted to call because my suggestion was for the emoji song. Go ahead. So, like, stay with me. Sing it with me. When I'm hungry, I send you the big hot dog. Because kids love hot dog. I know it's kind of still in the same.
Starting point is 00:36:55 as an eggplant, but still, like, hot dogs are a kid food. Right. I know. That's why, that's why we couldn't do banana either. Because kids love bananas. Right. So, but again, we're going to go with, when I'm hungry, I'll send you the big old shrimp. The big old shrimp.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Yeah, old. Like poshry old. Like the grand old opera. Yeah. The big old shrimp. Rebecca, thank you for your feedback. I appreciate everybody. Thanks for being part of the show.

And finally, in government news, the U.S. lawmakers are questioning whether the China-based app TikTok poses a national security thread. They continue to investigate the app. Sarah in Louisiana, what's happening with you? Hey. What's happening? So I need some advice or validation about a reg.
Starting point is 00:41:38 I just moved back home with my mom so I could go to college and I worked two jobs. My mom took her time and cleaned my room up for me, but in the process threw away a $400 textbook online access code. I appreciate her doing that, but I want to know if you think I have the right to be angry about it. Okay. By the way, it sounds like she's reading from a script, doesn't it?
Starting point is 00:42:03 A little bit. Yeah. You're not reading from a script, right? I promise I'm not. Okay, she's just a little nervous. Yeah. Okay. So let me get this straight.
Starting point is 00:42:12 You needed to move back in with your mom because you decided to go back to college, right? Correct. All right, by the way, look at this. I like it. Good? Take a step back, take a step forward. Love that.
Starting point is 00:42:22 your mom cleans your room getting it ready for you and she accidentally throws something of value away. Am I right on that? $400. Yes. And you are thinking that you would have the shot to even be mad at your mom. You're thinking that you could possibly be angry a little bit. Yeah, I'm kind of angry, but I don't want to be angry.
Starting point is 00:42:47 The woman who birthed you from her loins who let you move back into her house. who decided to clean your room for you as an adult. And you're gonna a little bit be irritated? On an accident? Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I'm gonna tell you. We all do dumb things sometimes. Sometimes we overlook things. Sometimes we lose things. The fact that your mom is doing something so good for you and is letting you live back with her, you got to just go, oh, man, that stinks. And just move on with your life.
Starting point is 00:43:22 400 bucks, you got to somehow find it. You can't be mad. You can't be mad. Okay. Amy? Wow. She sounds like she's having a hard time accepting what you're saying, but yeah, I just don't really feel like you can be mad. Lunchbox? You can be mad. Your mom should know that before she throws something away, she should ask
Starting point is 00:43:40 you, hey, is this important or do you want to keep this? Because you don't just go in and throw someone stuff away without asking first. Did she accidentally throw it away or did she go, I'm going to get her? Yeah, it was an accident. I mean, I know I've tried to clean up some of my daughter's stuff before, and now it hasn't been $400. But I've thrown away like a coloring thing she did that I didn't think that was important. And it was. And I feel bad, but I didn't mean to do it.
Starting point is 00:44:05 Yeah. No, I like, I appreciate what she did. And don't confuse that. I love my mom. I appreciate what she did. And I had put the code up in a book. So I would remember where it was at. and when she rearranged my room, it ended up getting in the trash house.
Starting point is 00:44:25 And are you struggling right now financially? Is that why this such a big deal? I work two jobs, but yes and no. Okay. All right. Well, I say leave your mom alone. Okay. All right. Grounder. All right. Well, thank you all so much. All right. Thank you very much. See you later. And you have a good morning.
Starting point is 00:44:46 You too. I don't have to tell you this, but Mom's doing way more for you than $400. Right. It's, that's so true. It's just so true. But we call it like we see it. There it is.
Starting point is 00:45:02 I'll read you a kid's riddle. But by the way, you're all adults in the room. Yes, we are. All you have to is figure it out. Kids can do it. Why can't you? It's a game called, riddle me this.
Starting point is 00:45:12 Riddle number one. Write your answers down. What can clap? Without any hands. Oh. I'm going to write down two answers on the side. What can clap? What can clap without any hands?
Starting point is 00:45:37 In. Get it and stay in. Miss it and go home. Really? Riddle me this. Yeah, I think I'm packing my bags on this one. What can clap without any hands? I mean, I don't know anything that can clap besides a humor.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Clap. I have it. Took me a second. My brain went somewhere real bad first. Five seconds. That's where my brain's there. Hey, right whatever you. I know it, but I shouldn't say it.
Starting point is 00:46:11 What can clap without any hands. All right. Time. Let's go over to Eddie, our defending champion. Eddie, what can clap without any hands? It's not good. I did be cheeks. Booty?
Starting point is 00:46:23 Yeah. Lunchbox? I have a clam. Amy? Lightning. Well, I have two answers written down. Is bee cheeks in there? I have booty is one of them.
Starting point is 00:46:33 Really? A booty can clap. Yeah, clap that booty. I didn't know that. A thunder clap. Okay. So is it lightning or thunder? Mike, does she get it for lightning?
Starting point is 00:46:43 You'd let her stay in or no? What? Thunder. I'm sorry, Amy. Thunder claps. Lunchbox is not a clam. Eddie, booty, did a clap. I didn't write it down.
Starting point is 00:46:54 That's amazing. Eddie comes in like a beast again. Amy, was that where your mind was? No, mine was at the, I can't know if I can say. Okay, don't say it then. I mean, isn't there like an STD called The Clap? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:08 That's wrong when I was like, um... But I don't know why. Eddie, you are the winner again with one riddle. Wow, this guy. With Booty Clap. I love it. Oh, I get to say it. Oh, yeah, hit that music, Rebundo.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Eddie? Riddle me there. Love it. Do you want to do one more round? Yeah, I think it'll be fair. Okay. Hit it up again, Ramundo. Riddow me this.
Starting point is 00:47:43 What can be swallowed but can also swallow you. What can be swallowed? Oh, I'm in. Oh, okay, I'm already done. What? But can also swallow you. Think about that. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:12 What can be swallowed but can also swallow you? I'm in for the win. Everybody's in? Everybody's in? Eddie, you won the first round. What do you have? Easy. Shark. No, you can eat shark. You can eat sharks. It's true.
Starting point is 00:48:32 Water. Amy? Water. You two are still in for the second round. All right. Amy. Yes. What's black when it's clean and white when it's dirty?
Starting point is 00:48:49 What's black when it's clean? What's white when it's dirty? I'm in for the win. Amy, you still thinking about it? I'm in. Watch box. Chalkboard. Oh.
Starting point is 00:49:15 That's so good. Okay. All right. Amy? The black car. Walk me through this. So there's a black car. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:23 And it gets dirty and it's white? It's like dusty and looks white-ish. I kind of see that. I see that. It's got, you know, a white hue. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:35 It's incorrect. Lunchbox wins the second round of Riddle Me This. Wow. We did it in a third round? He gets to do it. Do it, Lunchbox. Where's my son? song. We didn't play Eddie's. Yeah, we did.
Starting point is 00:49:44 We just barely hit it. Go ahead. Rid on me this. We'll do a third round. Oh, boy. Yeah, we didn't play this full song. We just hit it. We didn't hit it. Let's go. Let's go. I have a thousand needles, but I do not sew. What am I? This is going to be a couple. I have a thousand needles, but I do not sew. What am I?
Starting point is 00:50:17 I'm in for the win. I'm in. I'm in. Amy. Porcupine. Lunchbox. Porcupine. Eddie. Doctor's office.
Starting point is 00:50:30 Right? If that was, that's right, but it's not written down. It's not. Oh, dang it. Okay. That's the rule. It has to be written down. That's a good answer, though.
Starting point is 00:50:36 All right, thank you. They only have a thousand porcupines. I don't know, maybe. I just read it. Might be puts up front of me. Let's do this one. I'm rarely touched, but often held. If you're yitty,
Starting point is 00:50:48 oh, excuse me. If you're witty, you use me well. One more time. I'm rarely touched, but often held. If you're witty, you use me well. One more time. I'm rarely touched, but often held. If you're witty, you use me well.
Starting point is 00:51:25 All right, it looks like you're both going to miss this one. By looking at the faces in the room. Oh my gosh, that was a long one. I can't even recite it. One more time. I can recite it. I'm rarely touched, often held. If you're witty, you use me well.
Starting point is 00:51:41 Nailed it. Nailed it. What is that? Five seconds. Lunchbox. Answer. Knowledge. Amy.
Starting point is 00:51:55 Tong. Wow. What? You hold? Yeah, you hold your tongue. It's a very popular expression. Yeah. Hold your tongue.
Starting point is 00:52:06 If you're witty, use me well. Well, everybody won one. We got to do sudden death. As soon as you know, it buzzed in your name. Okay, okay, here we go. Don't touch your tongue? I'm so complete. Four.
Starting point is 00:52:16 I'm heavy. Backwards, I'm not. What am I? Forwards, I'm heavy. Backwards, I'm not. What am I? Five seconds. If you don't get it, we'll move to the next one.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Sudden death. Nobody's saying anything. Because, I mean, I don't know. Forwards, I'm heavy. Backwards, I'm not. What am I? Forward you're heavy. It's a ton.
Starting point is 00:52:52 N-O-T's backwards, ton. Oh, ton, not. There you go. The word ton. All right. Oh. Same thing. What has four eyes but cannot see?
Starting point is 00:53:08 Amy. A tornado. Lunchbox. Go ahead. Mississippi. Last one was a spelling one. And that's how we play. My chest.
Starting point is 00:53:36 Now his voice is gone. Like when you get a croop, the croopie cough? That's what I feel when he does that. Nice win. Lunchbox is the big winner. Wow. All of you guys did a great job though today. Everybody got to win.
Starting point is 00:53:45 Lunchbox is the champion there. Wow, that's how we do it. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 Second Skinny. Congratulations to Brett Young and his wife Taylor. Their baby girl was born yesterday, and her name is Presley Elizabeth Young. Lady Annabellum shared another song off their upcoming album, and it's called What I'm Leaving for. Take a look at it.
Starting point is 00:54:18 Luke Bryan also dropped a new song, and it's called What She Wants Tonight. She wants my hands on her body. She wants to burn like she's made a fox that she ain't going home till. I drink every drop of Kentucky drives. Don't even know what she'll do when she does it. Old Dominion's self-titled album is out today, as well as Toby Keese's greatest hits, The Show Dog Year's album.
Starting point is 00:54:44 I'm Morgan number two. That's who's going to. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This is pretty cool. J&J Cafe in Green Bay, Wisconsin has set up a great system that makes it easy for customers to pay for a meal or two
Starting point is 00:55:00 for those in need. The kitchen manager and owner Dale Peters invites his customers to pay for an extra meal and put the meal ticket on a bulletin board. Some customers pay for burgers, some pay for omelets, and then anyone who shows up who can't afford a meal
Starting point is 00:55:15 can grab one of those tickets and enjoy some food. Dale says the program's doing well, but he also doesn't want anyone weird about taking a ticket, explaining that if anybody's hungry, just come and get a ticket, get a meal, and go through it.
Starting point is 00:55:26 I just wonder, because this is a great program. I love it. lunchbox if you walked in and you had a little money but you saw a ticket up there what would you do grab the ticket you could take the ticket even though you could pay for it yeah it doesn't say if you can pay for it you can't have a ticket it says if you want to take a ticket take a ticket but again it says kitchen manager invites his customers to pay for an extra meal and put it up for those in need hey i'm in need that day of a meal i'm hungry too my stomach's growling but you have money I understand that maybe
Starting point is 00:55:58 I just wonder what you would do You wouldn't even take a ticket No I'll probably buy like five tickets And put them up there Do do do do do Well see that's what I'm saying You paid for five so I mean they're gonna go to waste They're just gonna sit up there
Starting point is 00:56:10 I don't know that none of the story says it's going to waste Okay there you go I love that shout out to J&J restaurant there And that's what it's all about That was tell me something good Lobby Bones show Boney up the day This story comes with us from Lexington
Starting point is 00:56:24 Kentucky A security guard at the hospital Spittal is doing his rounds driving around the parking garage and he accidentally hits the gas instead of the break when he's on the third floor. And through the concrete wall, boom, down to the ground. He's not injured. Luckily, he hit a tree on the way down and it broke the car's fall. Oh, my gosh. You know, first of all, how concrete was that wall if a truck got through it that easily?
Starting point is 00:56:52 He had to smash through a wall. Yeah, that would be going pretty fast. I mean, there's the car. landing tires up. Well, lucky he didn't die, huh? Yeah, I mean, the car landed up right side up. Yeah. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:57:04 Well, in movies, they land all the time, they land right side up. And they keep going, too. But, I mean, you got to wonder how concrete was that wall if you could just hit your gas pretty close to it and drive through it. But yeah, there you go. I'm lunchbox. Starting point is 01:00:56 You know, I say it every time, but I mean that. I say that when you guys aren't around. That's the true test. I appreciate it. Like, I think, and again, I think you're my favorite artist. Wow. Period. I know.
Starting point is 01:01:10 Like, come on. Listen, I'm trying to be as honest as I can, and I don't just say that. But it's like, my favorite contemporary artist is either you guys or Casey. And I think it's you. guys was a new record. My only beef with you guys was you didn't put out enough music yet. But now today you have a new record and I think I can say in my heart that you're my favorite artist now. Wow. Thank you. That's a huge compliment. Thank you. Is it though really a huge compliment? But I'm just saying that's the truth. Every song that
Starting point is 01:01:41 and I feel like I hit you guys sometimes and be like, I love this song. Every song you guys put out. I'm just like, are you kidding me? It's one after the other. It's a smash, smash, smash. Thank you. Old Dominion's here. Amy, these are your friends too. What would you like to say to start the interview? Top that, Amy. I just need to take a break. We're his absolute Supreme Court. I know. I'm like, well, shoot.
Starting point is 01:02:01 Shoot. Shoot. I, because, I mean, I obviously love every song, but I think Bobby just, he proclaimed his love for you. So he got to you first. Yes. Yeah. So you're just kind of like, eh, you guys are cool. No?
Starting point is 01:02:15 I'm, I'm hanging out with y'all tonight in New York. Oh, right. The big album. I like these mugs, by them. Those are Pimp and Join mugs. Thank you very much. I'm curious on the bus situation. with you guys. So how many
Starting point is 01:02:27 buses for the band members? One. Do you all member? No. No. We're all of us on one bus. You haven't graduated yet to five different or two. That's a slippery slope. I feel like it would be the beginning of the end. I think it would too. Of the band? Yeah. It would be a big
Starting point is 01:02:46 dynamic. Beginning of the end of us being like what we are. To be fair, Trevor, you have a family. A lot of you guys have family. I'm just using you, for example, since you're speaking with the microphone. Since I have the most. Like, if your family wanted to come out on the road with you on the bus. It's strategic.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Sometimes we'll get a family bus. Yeah. Or sometimes we'll pick one. Usually I try to pick one or we'll try to pick one where, like, say we're in Lake Tahoe for a couple days in a row. Like, we'll pick one where we have hotel rooms and stuff. But it's tricky. You do have your own bus now, actually. I did.
Starting point is 01:03:20 I bought an RV. Well, you drive the RV alongside the buses? Oh, it's going to happen. My wife will. One morning we will wake up and pull the shades up up and there will be... I really can't wait to tell our tour manager, Tommy, that he needs to find parking for my RV.
Starting point is 01:03:34 It's going to be a magical moment. I bet he can't wait either. He's already played out the whole conversation in his mind. I'm positive of that. Old Dominions here, the record today is out, it's Old Dominion. So it's a little tricky boys, because I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:03:48 That's my favorite band. I feel like I need to say something to you here. I always feel like the self-titled album was the first record. and now I'm like, wow, why would you why did you go back and do that? You know, it just seemed right. I mean, obviously we have cheeky titles
Starting point is 01:04:02 in our past, but it just seemed like this one, well, it kind of plays into how we made the album and how comfortable we were in the studio and how we kind of feel like we kind of came into our own a little bit. So it just feels like it felt wrong to give it a silly name.
Starting point is 01:04:20 There's a lot of more serious stuff on here and it just feels, more like us, so why not now? I feel like you guys' vibe if I can, I don't feel it's derivative, but I can compare it to
Starting point is 01:04:31 when the foo fighters came out and their music was so good but a lot of their stuff they were doing was so funny at the same time. And they don't do that so much now and I'm not even saying that you guys are from,
Starting point is 01:04:41 but it feels a bit, and that's a compliment too, that those guys would come out with some freaking great music and then you'd watch some of what they were doing visually and go, oh, these guys also
Starting point is 01:04:47 have a whole personality about them. Right. And like I admire that about you guys too. Ever had that comparison before? I don't think so. I think that's a great comparison.
Starting point is 01:04:55 Yeah, it is. That's totally. I think we've probably looked at them and, you know, that's been inspiring to us because we don't want to, we never want to take ourselves too seriously. And so I think that's, the visual stuff is a great way to go like, hey, I'm kidding. Yeah. I mean, I definitely get the vibe like, you know, like Dave Grohl or the whole band seems like a bunch of dudes you can just have a beer with. And I like to think that people think they can have beer with us. Totally.
Starting point is 01:05:22 You guys want to have a beer with them? Let me play a little bit of this one. This is Never Be Sorry from Old Dominion. Here's one of the tracks from the new record, Old Dominion, that's out today. I'll never be sorry. I'll never be sorry for loving you. I'll never be sorry. I'll never be sorry.
Starting point is 01:05:41 It's a good one, boys. I'm not going to lie to you. Oh, thank you. Every time you put a new one out, I'm like, let me go hear this one. You know the one that when you guys put some people do out, I think I even reached out. Matt Jim was like, God, this song's so good. I'll play a little bit of some people do before we actually. talk about the story of this song.
Starting point is 01:05:58 Here's Some People Do from Old Dominion. But some people do. Some people quit drinking too much. And some people quit love. Some people decide to grow up. But it's never a good time. So Tom Shred was in. We were talking to him about this song.
Starting point is 01:06:19 And so he said that you guys hop in a room. And Maddie said it was you and him and a couple other buddies of ours that write. And he was like, we had to decide who was getting the song. Either TR or you guys. How did you see that whole thing shaking down? I wasn't sure. I just remember we were texting back and forth at one point and said, you know, this is an important song. One of us has to do it.
Starting point is 01:06:40 You know, I didn't personally at that time care if it was him or us. I just felt like it needed to be out. And I think he felt the same way. And at one point, he texted me and say, hey, I'm going to cut it. And I was like, awesome. Great. And then it just, you know, for whatever reason, didn't line up with whatever he was working on. So once I found that out, it was like, okay, well, now it's back in our court a little bit.
Starting point is 01:07:05 So I'm really happy that we got to do it. Yeah, me too. We'll play another one from the record here. Before we get into a little game, we're going to play. Here is Midnight Mess Around from Old Dominion. I mean, the first time you hear any one of their songs, like the first time you hear it, you like it. Some songs you have to hear are like, I don't know. Sometimes I'm still listening to this.
Starting point is 01:07:46 You should just stop. You don't have to like every song. I'm not talking about y'alls. No, I know. I'm not talking about y'alls. People that aren't here. But it's so good right away because I hadn't even heard that.
Starting point is 01:07:57 It's like the first... Sing it back. Not the minute. You guys write hooks like crazy. Take you down. You're making it easy for us. That's why we love you guys. I know.
Starting point is 01:08:09 It makes it easy for the normal people to listen and like music. Put you on the road and just kick you right down. Dang. I know. We're going to play a game here. What I have. have, these are all Old Dominion songs, but I'm not going to go to the singers. What I'm going to do is make it sweet. Jeff, I'm going to come to you. Okay, what I want to know is the
Starting point is 01:08:28 first line to make it sweet. Oh, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I can do this. Jeff is known to play the bass. I am known to play the bass. I'm not known to sing the first lyrics. Do you want me to play some of the music? You only get half a point if I play some of I can hear this song. I just can't remember. The first line to make it sweet. If you don't have it by now, you're not going. But to be fair, sometimes Matthew doesn't have it either.
Starting point is 01:08:53 To be fair, yeah. I do have the good. You got it? What do you got? I know it's a drag. Yeah. I know what's a drag. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:01 I never would have got it. All right, all right. Trevor, I'm going to come to you. Hotel Key. Give me the first line of Hotel Key. And go. It was down some street we couldn't even pronounce. All right.
Starting point is 01:09:12 It was down some street. We couldn't even pronounce. I'm so glad you're not asking me because I would be like... I'm nervous now. Okay. Matt, we'll go to you. Written in the sand. First line.
Starting point is 01:09:23 You sing it every night. Go. I got that. He's having to play the song through his head right now. Turn me on, turn me off. So in your head, you had to go through all the musical. I did. I did.
Starting point is 01:09:37 I mean, it is like, that's a nerve-wracking moment for me. Night after night. most like at least two or three songs where I'm like I have no clue it's about to come out of my mouth and then it just does no prompter no prompter sometimes sometimes I do you know we have a little talk back Mike and sometimes I do have to go back to that mic and go what's the first line what's the first line and we have a drum tech that now has the lyrics and he'll pull him up oh wow we got people so you're telling me Matt as the lead singer
Starting point is 01:10:07 yeah with all these number one songs that America sings along to that you don't even know all the words to these songs you know i was just talking about this the other day you have to get into this like you can't think about it the minute you're thinking about it and questioning it you're you're just screwed so i have to like literally talk myself into like okay just let go it'll happen go interact with these people go give some high fives the words will come out and if as soon as i like let go then they do but if i'm like what's the first line what's the first line was the first line was I'll never have you ever had to improvise with words that aren't the you know oh for sure and I've definitely just forgot the words forgot them and just stopped
Starting point is 01:10:51 and like we've stopped we've stopped songs before because I started on the like second verse so will you shut the song down are you on a click track where you just you just shut the whole thing down or yeah I mean we we are but and we can it's not just depends sometimes it's only a minor train wreck you can get it right back on yeah stopping yeah Bradie you're ready? I think so. Give me the first line to snap back. Oh, strictly out of curiosity. Okay, there you could hit that. Strictly out of curiosity. All right, Whit, you're playing the drums. Are you singing back there the whole time?
Starting point is 01:11:25 No. Okay. Do you, wait, let me ask you a question. As a drummer, do you even need to hear the vocals, though, to play a concert? Oh, yeah, absolutely. Like, I mean, the vocals is usually the melody, right? So, like, I mean, I'm trying to be with the song. I have to like mediate all that stuff back there But the vocal is still probably the most important thing Yeah and he plays a lot of stuff he does Mimics the like phrasing
Starting point is 01:11:47 Yeah like are on them Yeah like like are based on the melody Yeah hit me with break up with him The first line Oh come on Oh he's struggling Oh he took a second though Did take a minute
Starting point is 01:11:59 Hey girl what's up Yeah Hey girl What's up I don't know what's like He gets that one He still was like wait what What?
Starting point is 01:12:09 All right let's do do one more. I'm going to come back to you, Matt, one last time. Give me the song that I've loved for a long time, because I feel like you're speaking to me a little bit. One man band, first line. Go. Ben Flying Solo. Come on. You got some help. This is family feud you'd be out of here. It's terrible.
Starting point is 01:12:27 It's just family. All right, last year you won vocal group for the CMA Awards. So we're feeling I want to predict it right now. You're going to do it again? Say it out loud. We're going to do it again. There it is. We heard it. Take that, put that tape up. Run that on the blogs. Guarral. Guarantee. That's good. That's good that you guys got to feel great that your peers think you're cool too not just some idiot
Starting point is 01:12:44 in a radio show that is it's one of the coolest things yeah yeah we um i think that was one of the biggest things that was kind of like revealed to us when we did win it was like like a curtain was pulled back and we're like oh we have support that's cool you know all dominions here the records out today let me ask you this we'll end on this if you could tour with one fictional band? Fictional band? Fictional band. Who would it be? One fictional band. If you need options, I'll give it to you. What about the band from
Starting point is 01:13:17 almost famous? Stillwater. Is that what it was? Yeah, they were still like, Eric Schwenny. Eric Swaney. Eric Swaney is a, he's a fictional artist that we made up. Oh, see, we were all like, we didn't want to say we didn't know because we were like Eric Swaney, of course. I'm a huge fan. Yeah, I love the second
Starting point is 01:13:33 record. Yeah, we gave him an Instagram account and everything. What's a single? Do the thing. Do the thing. Do the thing. But the Oneaters, too. We could do the O'Neers. Oh, yeah, the wonders. Yeah. I'll give you some options here.
Starting point is 01:13:45 Yeah, what's your list? Would you go out with Jesse and the Rippers from Full House? Full House. The Brady Bunch, the whole family, because you know, they sing, change. Yeah? The Blues Brothers. Oh. So far, they're at the top of the list.
Starting point is 01:13:59 Or, or Spinal Tap. Oh. This is a tough list. I feel like we live Spinal Tap. Yeah, I feel like. You have enough of that? We are as much. Yeah, I'm going to go Blues Brothers.
Starting point is 01:14:10 I'm Blues Brothers. All right, they're going with the Blues Brothers, everybody. There's our winner. Who's the That thing you do band? The Oneers. The Oneiders, yeah. They spelled it O'Neeters. The O'Neeters.
Starting point is 01:14:23 Listen, guys, I don't know if I've told you, but I love your music. I love you guys. I'm so happy. And tonight, Amy will be with you in New York. You guys are doing the big album release party. Yes. On a Friday night. She's such a big fan.
Starting point is 01:14:35 She said, I'm going up on a Friday night to New York to do this. Huge. You may be that's a hard sale. No, just kidding. I'm excited, obviously. That's going to be fun. You may be the second biggest fan on this show. Well, now I know that I am.
Starting point is 01:14:49 I used to think I was like the biggest fan of Bobby claimed with it. Look at my tattoo. I show you guys right now, nipple to nipple. It says all of your names. Trevor's face is very realistic there. Trevor, what is it like? Because you and Amy went to Disney World together. Disneyland.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Disney land. What is Amy like to hang out with outside? of the show for eight hours. Oh, a lot of fun. Yeah, she's great. You know, it's a lie. I'm not lying. It was great.
Starting point is 01:15:16 We got to know each other on the plane and Disneyland. What better way to get to know each other than in Disneyland? You're a kid. Her kids. I know. Well, I think that's where you can see, like, the true side of somebody, maybe. And I feel like you were very, everyone was very chill and normal and our kids were great. Trevor, it's like the most well-behaved children.
Starting point is 01:15:35 I was like, that's what she came back with. She was like, his kids are so well-behaved. They're so polite and nice. and his wife is so wonderful and kind and like we had like even good conversations like her and I like it got one level it's like well where are you all going to hear and her parents were here
Starting point is 01:15:49 and this is going on and visit like I just remember a conversation we were having I was like it wasn't very some was surface so that some was not you know it's like actually got to know and then now I had an example for my kids I'm like see how these kids are acting paint the grass green give me a little bit of that Ramundo
Starting point is 01:16:05 there's a star somewhere there you go Can't wait to go home and just eat it all. I wouldn't listen to it early. I'll be honest with you guys. I don't listen to music early. Yeah. Can't wait to get home.
Starting point is 01:16:33 I listened a little bit on the way in, but I'm about to hear it all today. I'm just going to sit at home, my bathtub, a couple candles. Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're thinking of you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm picturing the big Lebowski. And Jeff, you want to blow it?
Starting point is 01:16:47 All right, dude. All right. There they are. Old Dominion, everybody. This party's time. Thank you guys. It's time for the good news. With Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Something good. Last week was a big week for Captain Joe Weiss. He was retiring after 34 years of flying airplanes for American Airlines. And on his last flight, you know, they land and he wants to do something special. So there's a two-year-old boy on the flight, his first flight. So Captain Joe pinned his wings on the two-year-old. I saw that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:21 He gave his wings away to a kid that he didn't know. He was like, all right, I'm done. Here, you can have them. Wow. Yeah, it was pretty cool. kind of drop the mic and walk off or drop the wings. He dropped the wings and walked off. There you go.
Starting point is 01:17:31 So what's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 01:21:30 Why did the zombie skip school? Why did the zombie skip school? He felt rotten. Okay. That was the morning corny. The Babboche. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Fun fact Friday.
Starting point is 01:21:48 Okay, go. And this is all Halloween fun facts. So here we go. Amy's pile. Go Amy. So do you know why Mars? You probably don't name their candy bar snickers? unless you happen to know this fun fact.
Starting point is 01:22:00 I don't understand the question. Snickers. Like, where does Snickers? Why is Snickers the name? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm going to guess it's a horse. How did you know that? Huh?
Starting point is 01:22:08 How did you know that? Wait, you're right. Did you not know that? Are you? I would, well, no. Okay, whatever. I grew up around some horses as kids. Like, my uncle had horses.
Starting point is 01:22:17 We had horses a little bit. And there were two horses named Snickers. So I just always connected Snickers to a horse. Weird. The candy bar was named after the Mars family horse. I don't know. Weird. Sometimes Jesus has put something inside of me that I just get trivia right.
Starting point is 01:22:35 Okay, so, and then Halloween, like the trick-or-treating the candy part became a big thing in the U.S. In the 50s, thanks to candy companies, you know, they had already convinced all of us that we need candy on Christmas and Easter, and they were looking for an equally lucrative opportunity. Well, do you know why breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Because cereal companies made that as they're saying. No way. Yeah. It's, yeah, it's really not.
Starting point is 01:22:58 You don't need it. Do you know why Valentine's is a day? Why? Because we are so manipulated by people making money. So as you go, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. No, it ain't. It's just a company that said that. I still believe that.
Starting point is 01:23:11 You should, and that's a good job to them. And they make them so cute and bite size for Halloween. And companies have made billions off of that, too, the candy companies. They're like, oh, we'll just make them smaller and cuter and then sell them in these bags for more. And then they make more money. And then dressing up in costumes was once a way to hide from ghosts. Your wife. Oh. Hide from ghosts.
Starting point is 01:23:34 That was the whole idea of that? Yeah, people wore masks when they left their homes after dark, so the ghosts would think they were fellow spirits. They do that in Walking Dead. So in Walking Dead the show, there are all these zombies, and what they do is they can, like, smell you. So you rub your, cover your body and all the guts of the dead, and they don't know it's you, so you just walk amongst them.
Starting point is 01:23:55 And you confuse them. Well, they just think you're one of them, much like the original Halloween. All right. What else, Amy? Yeah. Okay. We're done with fun facts, right? Sure.
Starting point is 01:24:04 Moving on. Okay. So, Popeye's chicken sandwich, you know, the super duper popular one that went away, uh, I like sold out, been gone for three months. And it's finally coming back. I hear it's such a big deal that are having to hire new people. Yes. Like the stores are having to actually bring new people on, which is great.
Starting point is 01:24:22 So it's so popular. They're expecting such a rush. it's actually affecting the chicken economy even. Yeah. So they have to hire new workers. Here's the exact number. Hiring 400 new employees across 150 stores to deal with excited customers. So kind of exciting.
Starting point is 01:24:40 Because I never got to try it the first round. Lunchbox, I think is the only one here that tried it. So I'm going to have to like go get it. He said it was good. Jimmy Carter is home from the hospital. He fell and fractured his pelvis. But he was released doing well. This is like the second time that he's had, you know, to be treated for injuries with a fall.
Starting point is 01:24:59 He's 95 years old, though, and he thanked everyone for well wishes, and he's going to do physical therapy and getting back at it. You know, he was just at Habitat for Humanity, like Building House. Well, he fell and busted his head, then went and worked to Habitat. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And then he fell and cracked his hip or whatever that was. Yeah, fractured his pelvis. Yeah, there you go. So, I mean, you've got to take those seriously. But that, that mean, can't stop him. I made me. That's my power. was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:25:28 All right, time now for the Never Gonna Get a question. The average kid will go through 91 of these this year. What is it? Amy. Cartons of milk. Lunchbox? Oh, that's easy. Sox. Eddie, take a shot. That's what I had. Pairs of socks. Oh, no. Let's go to Victoria in Austin.
Starting point is 01:25:52 Victoria, you also had socks. I did say socks. And that would be a shock if I told you you were right, huh? Yeah, it would. Yeah, I'm not. So you didn't win, but I appreciate that call. I know, I tricked you. Let's go to Josh in Indiana.
Starting point is 01:26:10 Hey, Josh. Hey, there. What you got? Morning studio. Morning. I got pencils. Oh. Wow.
Starting point is 01:26:17 The kids still use pencil? Yes. They do? Yes. Yeah, they do. Ninety one? I got four of them. Not 91.
Starting point is 01:26:23 Four kids or four pencils, Josh? I got four kids and hundreds of pencils. Okay, there you go. Pencils is... Not right. The answer is, the average kid goes through 91 of these this year. On average, a parent will snag about 10 of those, and that is... A piece of Halloween candy.
Starting point is 01:26:42 Oh. Think about the theme. There it is. And that's never going to get it, and nobody ever got it. I usually have more than 10. Yeah. Well, I was in Chicago yesterday. And I was walking on the building in Chicago
Starting point is 01:26:59 at the radio station. They have candy in every room. It's not a good environment for me. Like, I'm great with discipline at disciplining myself to be out of situations. If there's candy, I eat it. If there's not, I don't go chase it.
Starting point is 01:27:12 I'm good without it. It was in every room. They had a Pop-Tart bar at this radio station. What? Listen to me. I saw you put that on the year. I thought that was maybe at your hotel.
Starting point is 01:27:22 No, no. In the radio station in Chicago, at Big 955, First of all, it's two floors in a big building. On the bottom floor, they have a cereal bar. Where it's what kind of cereal? You want cookie crisp? You want the adult cereal?
Starting point is 01:27:37 Like raisin brand? Yeah, there's like five kinds of... And then it's on my Instagram story. On the second level, they have a Pop-Tart bar. It's like 12 different flavors of Pop-Tarts and a toaster. And then in every room they have either animal crackers or candy is wild. So I did that. So what...
Starting point is 01:27:54 Did you have a lot? Did you had a pop tart? No, men, a pop tart. But a lot of animal crackers and a lot of cereal. So that's what was up. Do you want to do what's the haps for today? Yeah. Let's do.
Starting point is 01:28:03 Ramundo, this is where we go around the room and see what's happening with everybody in their life. What's the haps? Hey! What's the haps? Amy, go ahead. So, my dog ate Tricia Yearwood's dip. What do you mean? Well, she has this dip called, like, Charleston cheese dip,
Starting point is 01:28:20 and it has probably like 20 different kinds of cheese, cups of mayo. bacon. I mean, it's amazing. And she was coming over to record a podcast. And so I made it and thought, well, this will be kind of fun to have out. Like, I made your dip and like, you know, whatever. And I had it and on the counter. And Trish and I went up to record and we got back downstairs. The entire dip was gone. Everything. How did the dog get to it? It was on the counter. And she just, she just got up there and got it. There was foil on top, but she ripped that off. And then the bowl was on the ground. And I mean, I didn't even tell Trish about it. because I thought we'd do it afterwards
Starting point is 01:28:56 and I didn't want her to feel bad. But I know she saw the mess, but I just kind of was like, nothing to see here, keep going. And then I was just been waiting for my dog to get sick, basically, from all of that. There you go. Hey!
Starting point is 01:29:08 Hey, what's the hat? So here's what happens with Eddie. I tell Eddie recently, I said, hey, we're going to the football game this weekend because we're going to go watch the Titans play. And I say, hey, we're going to sit in the owner suite. You can't wear other team colors. Right.
Starting point is 01:29:20 It's the owner of the team. You can't, and he hits me last night. Can I wear a Cowboys jersey to the Titans? That's all I got. That's my team. You know what I'm saying? You're missing the whole point. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:29:32 We have been luckily invited by the owner of the team. You think he'd get mad at me? I think they told me and I told you you cannot. Okay. And also there was this whole deal where I only had a couple tickets. And so I guess that's six total, but two of them were taken by people that I work with. And I said, Eddie, you can come? And Eddie just goes, oh, can I bring somebody?
Starting point is 01:29:53 Like immediately. plus one to himself. I was like, dude, I'll have another ticket. And so, what's the rule on plus one asking for a plus one? Do you immediately just get to ask if someone invites you to do something? Oh, no. I would feel it out, I guess. I would be grateful that I got invited to something like that because it's very rare. That's exactly what he wanted to hear.
Starting point is 01:30:14 Because I think it's true. My husband recently had this because he got invited to Titans game to sit in a box with somebody and he really thought it'd be cool to take Stevenson. But we held out didn't say, like, he'd be like, how cool would it be if Stevens could go? And it was very casual. It was not right away. We thought long and hard about it. And then it wasn't a big deal. And they were like, yeah, bring your son. Not a big deal. So you just have to feel it out. Eddie? Well, I figure my friend Bobby was asking. So I'd be like, hey, dude,
Starting point is 01:30:40 one extra for one of the kids, for my wife. I don't, they're not my tickets. Right. I get it. And you can't wear a cowboy jersey. Please. It's not my rule. Hey, Ray Mundo, you have Titans jersey, right? I have all kinds of Titans gear. I got arm bands, hats, everything. Ray shows up as like Marlins man, but he's fully tightened up. That's... Okay. What? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:00 But you don't... Eddie, you don't have to wear a jersey. I mean, I guess that's my question. You can just wear like a shirt. It's just a blue shirt. Just don't show up in a cowboy's helmet. All right. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:10 These nine little heads around here. All right. Hey. Hey. What's the hat? Let's walk what's happening. I always see people jogging around the neighborhood, pushing strollers, and man, they make it look so easy.
Starting point is 01:31:20 Like, you take your kid on a run for you. And I like to run. So I was like, you know what? I'm going to take my kid, my one-year-old, throw him in the stroller and run with him. That is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I mean, half a mile in, you're ready to pass out because you can't use your arms to run because you're too busy pushing a stroller. So everybody that's pushing a stroller when you run, I thought it was so easy.
Starting point is 01:31:40 I've been judging you for years. Much respect, it's impossible. That's interesting. I never thought about the, what about people that just push it and then run and catch it? Now, that's funny. I never thought about that. I see people do that, they just push it, and they run behind it, and they push it. but I never thought about the extra effort having to be added.
Starting point is 01:31:57 Yeah, because you just use your arms to push the stroller and you're not using it to pump your body. Woo! Tiring. Hey. What's the hat? One more, Eddie, what's happening? I was here stories, you know, on the show, we talk about how someone over here, someone buying groceries and they don't have any money or whatever. And they're like, oh, I got it.
Starting point is 01:32:14 I'll pay for you your groceries or whatever. I was kind of in that situation the other day, but it was different. I was at the convenience store, and the lady in front of me was buying some stuff. And she said, oh, your credit card doesn't work. I'm sorry. This lady's like, well, I don't have any cash. I'm not going to be able to pay for this. So I said, oh, this is my chance.
Starting point is 01:32:29 I'm going to pay for it. I look at the items, she's got cigarettes. So I made the decision and said, I can't buy her cigarettes. Well, it would have been if it had been a sugary cereal that you did it. Yeah. You kind of have to go. I'm either going to help somebody or on the car. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:32:42 You can't judge. I thought you all going to be on my side. Like, I don't want to give her lung cancer. But what if you didn't have any money, but you had Pop-Tarts, for example. Yeah. And some of these studies say that sugar is way worse. than even cigarettes is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:55 What if I was behind you in line and I was like, I don't want him to gain weight so I'm not going to buy that for him. Yeah, like there's an obesity problem that's causing all of our insurance premiums to go up. I don't want him to get the diabetes. That really?
Starting point is 01:33:06 Yeah. So I should have bought her cigarettes and a sixer? If you're going to help somebody, you have to commit to just helping and not putting your judgment in there as well. Okay. I mean, if it was like a hardcore drug.
Starting point is 01:33:17 Yeah, I mean, like she got some age. She's like trying to get the crack. I can't help you, ma'am. I'd love to buy it. your stuff. I love Pimp of Joy, but... Right.
Starting point is 01:33:27 I would say that you probably... You didn't choose what I would have chosen in that situation. But good for you for thinking about it. And next time... I'll do it, I think you learned a lesson here. You either help or you don't. Yeah. But you can't judge based on what they're buying.
Starting point is 01:33:41 Okay. I had my hand on my wall. I was right. And then I saw the smokes and I was like... If it was just like 10 cartons of cigarettes and that's all, fine. Okay. There's milk and maybe things just to feed her kids. That's what I thought.
Starting point is 01:33:53 Yeah, the milk, something. You didn't think that. A loaf of bread, the standards. Yeah, sure. I got it. Six of the cigarettes. It's your money, though. You make your own to smoke.
Starting point is 01:34:04 Wait, didn't you used to smoke? Yes, but that's different. I quit for a reason. It's bad for you. How long ago did you quit? Four years ago. You should have told her. Hey, I was about to buy your stuff, but since you have cigarettes.
Starting point is 01:34:14 Yeah, put those back on that. I didn't say that. Put those back. I'll buy it. All right, there you go. That's what's the haves. Hey, what's the hats. I was watching this video on Twitter and this guy, they're at a pumpkin patch.
Starting point is 01:34:27 And he gets on his knee and is proposing to his girl. And as he gets down, he pulls out the ring and she's like, but when he gets down on a knee, you know how you put your knee on the ground and your foot goes behind you? Yes. This little kid is walking through it at the same time and then hits his foot and trips and she like falls on her face. He's like, oh my goodness.
Starting point is 01:34:43 So it throws off the entire romantic moment. Well, and she's carrying through little pumpkins. So the pumpkins roll everywhere. So then she leaves, but then she comes back because the pumpkin's over by him. And she's like, sorry, sorry. and they just can't stop laughing. So a little girl bust their face. They have it all recorded.
Starting point is 01:34:57 Oh, yeah. So what went wrong on your proposal? I got a couple of callers on. Erica and Austin, thank you for calling the show. What do you want to say? Yeah, so it was New Year's Eve and my husband at the time. He was trying to propose to me and he was, he took the lead to a bar and it was outside
Starting point is 01:35:14 lights, beautiful, romantic. I had no idea what he was doing, but I was freezing cold. And I basically shut it down and said I want to go home. I'm not having fun. So he basically has to hands me to ring as soon as we got in the track and basically say I was trying to propose. That stinks.
Starting point is 01:35:32 Oh, yeah. He's like, Erica, just stop. I'd like to make this romantic, but you're whining about your sniffles. Wow. And then how did you feel? I felt really bad. I mean, it's definitely a laugh now. I mean, we're still married. So
Starting point is 01:35:47 he's not the romantic type, so he definitely was trying to come out of his cell and be romantic about it and I just shut it down. And so I felt so bad. And you know what that does? It actually discourages him from being romantic again. Right. But she didn't know. I know. And when you're cold, you're cold. That's true. But she kind of knew. Like she said, she kind of knew.
Starting point is 01:36:13 Erica, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. I didn't quite enough. But thank you. But you knew he was trying to be romantic, right? I mean He was trying to get me to look at lights I really didn't see She was like What do you mean to look at lights? Like this is dumb
Starting point is 01:36:26 See he's trying She kind of knew he was trying something See Erica thank you I don't know Thank you Bye bye Christina in Texas
Starting point is 01:36:35 You're on the show What's happening? Morning studio Morning Morning So at the time I have been Well he's my husband
Starting point is 01:36:43 Now but we lived in Nashville And he planned out to ask me to marry him on the baseball field for the Nashville town. And I got sick with food poisoning in the second inning, so he ended up asking me in the car and had to call the field to cancel.
Starting point is 01:36:58 Now, I wonder if the move would have been just to hold off. Try it again another game? Right. She's obviously not feeling great. Here's the question. If you're waiting to get proposed to, would you rather get proposed to while you're sick but have it happen when you're really waiting?
Starting point is 01:37:16 Or wait. until you're better and get it later on down the road. Wait. What does he think about that, Christina? Look back and laugh at it, but we both, we want to do like a marriage renewal at a baseball game in the future, probably on our 10 year because we've been married for four now. But, yeah, we look back and he's like, dang it, I wish you weren't sick. It's her fault.
Starting point is 01:37:42 Why did you get sick? Hey, I appreciate it. Thanks for that call. Glad you're still married. Oh, yeah. All right, see you later. Bye-bye. All right, I'm going to head over and talk to Arkansas, Keith, who's on the phone right now.
Starting point is 01:37:58 There he is. Hey, where are you right now? I'm at home now. All right. Were you working or in the woods earlier? I was in the woods earlier, but I started raining so I came home. So you were hunting for what? Deer.
Starting point is 01:38:12 Muzloat deer seeking. Okay, great. This is a great segue. So did you see the guy in Yelvo that had a muzzleloader and the deer killed him? I did say that Okay, so let me read the story And I'd like your feedback on this An experienced Arkansas hunter
Starting point is 01:38:26 Was attacked by a deer That he had just shot on the woods on Tuesday evening The hunter later died after suffering puncture wounds From the deer's antlers Official said the 66-year-old Thomas Alexander Was hunting in Yelvel Arkansas When he shot a buck using a muzzle loader He approached the animal believing it was dead
Starting point is 01:38:43 And it attacked him Now, what do you think about that? Well, that's actually happened to me, and I'm sure everybody's got a dead book story because it happens quite a lot. It happened to you. You think they're dead? In what regard? Like, you walk up to the deer? Yeah, I woke up to the deer, and you get a hold of it, and you think it's dead.
Starting point is 01:39:04 That's why you should test them because I've tucked a hold of them before and they'd not be dead, and they get up and take off. What do you mean test them? They try to run. They're just like everything else. Sometimes they get knocked out or it doesn't kill them. them. Yeah, I'm sure everybody's got one of those stories around here that I know of. So, Amy asks, what does that mean test the deer? Well, you can walk up to it and, you know, usually I always let mine lie out of there.
Starting point is 01:39:30 You know, you think they're dead, which they usually are. But when you go up there, you know, you can kind of poke it. Poke it under its chin or right by its eye. And that way, you don't know if it moves that eye or anything like that, you know, it's not dead. And so you've walked up to a buck before and it just, you know, it just, you know, it's not dead. jumped on you? I have more than once. Actually, my father shot one one time
Starting point is 01:39:50 that we thought was dead. And when I took hold of it, got up and took off running. And it only ran another 60 yards before expired. But, you know, it was there. It was dead. We thought dead, you know.
Starting point is 01:40:05 Have you heard of any other examples of the deer actually attacking the hunter? I've never heard of anything like that. I mean, the one that I shot when he got up, He was trying to, you know, I had to hold him down. He was trying to horn me. But he was hurt so bad that, you know, he couldn't do it.
Starting point is 01:40:21 But he was actually trying to put his head into me, but I could just got hold his horns and push him away. I'm sure that that could happen. I mean, I don't doubt it, you know. It says the Arkansas Game of Fish Commission has sent two canine units to search for the deer, but have been unsuccessful. It's not known whether the deer survived the incident or not. But it killed the guy.
Starting point is 01:40:40 And there's not like he can reload his gun and shoot the deer because a muzzloader's one ball. it's a one load. I mean, that's it. Yeah. Generally, now they, when I fire my, I reload it in my stand before I ever, before I ever get down to go check on anything. I usually just reload my gun. That way you do have your gun loaded. But, you know, some experience, you know. I mean, you try to just hop down and go down to what's going on. You know, that's how I got in trouble to do it, to do it with the bed.
Starting point is 01:41:10 And he tried getting up, and I just grabbed him by his horns and pull them down. Well, I saw the story and thought you would shed a little extra light on it. Get him with a knife. Yeah, no, he won't. I appreciate that. I appreciate that talk. Thanks for jumping on with us this morning. Yeah, anytime, man.
Starting point is 01:41:29 All right, there he is. Arkansas Keith. There is Arkansas Keith. Always come. I knew he'd have something like that. He's like, oh, it's happened to me a few times of the years come up. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 01:41:40 Tell me something good. So this newlywed in Colorado was driving down the highway and her wedding dress was in the back of the truck. They were actually moving. And the box flew out and she didn't know it. So then her wedding dress is gone. Again, this is something that's super special to her. Well, the person that found it on the side of the road
Starting point is 01:42:00 happened to be a wedding planner. So... Oh, wow. What are the odds? Right. So she obviously was like, okay, she knows how important like a dress is to a bride. She's like, I've got to track this person down.
Starting point is 01:42:10 So using social media, they were able to find each other, which is crazy. And instead of putting the dress in storage, Tiffany, the bride, she's like, you know what? Since I got reunited with this dress and it's special, it can be special for somebody else. So I'm going to donate it to someone that needs a dress for their upcoming wedding.
Starting point is 01:42:26 So full circle wedding dress moment. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 01:47:47 I do want to talk about Amy's podcast for one second. I hope people check it out. Bob Goff is on. So pretty big deal, huh? Yeah, huge. I mean, that would be like, he's podcast goals for me. So he is a New York Times bestselling author
Starting point is 01:47:58 and Encourger to Millions. Yes. He's written here. And so he did in the latest episode of Four Things with Amy Brown. And so apparently he puts his real phone number in the back of his books. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:08 So when you read his book, he's like, hey, if you want to call him, you can. At the very end. Like if you read, it's like kind of back there in the back, but it's there. And I kind of thought, no way is that really his number, but it is. He talked about a crazy thing that happened because of it. People, I get a hundred calls a day. I can't get a thing done. It's awesome. Do you know when you back a car up and hit somebody else's by mistake, you're supposed to leave your phone number? Somebody backed up into somebody's car. They were broke and they didn't want to leave their phone numbers. They left mine. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:48:40 buy the guy a bumper. I don't even live in this same part of the country. That's pretty funny. And he really did buy it. He said one time a girl got a flat tire called him. He arranged help for her to get the tire. So he talks about the importance of treating others with kindness. Number one, beginning of the day, figure out who's under your hat. Like get self-aware, get a mood ring, buy a puppy, whatever it is that gets you aware of who you are. And then don't assume you know who's under everybody else's hat. Just treat them with kindness and respect. there's probably a lot more going on than you think. Check it out. It's Amy's podcast called Four Things with Amy Brown. And I know you've been excited about this one for a long time. Yeah. You've got some great guests between Bob Goff and Kristen Chinoweth.
Starting point is 01:49:22 Some good stuff. Really good. Yeah. And then your husband occasionally. I know. Bobo comes by. How I book those guys. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:49:30 I just need to get you back on one day. Yeah, you have to call my people. But you're my people. So just give yourself a call. I'm going to give you Bob Goff's number. Call this guy here. Yeah, check it out. Four things with you.
Starting point is 01:49:40 Amy Brown. There you go. Shit. Bobby Boone show. Time now for Flashback Friday. Here we go. Flashback Friday. On this day in 2010, the biggest country song
Starting point is 01:49:54 was Darius Rucker comeback song. Because I didn't know. The biggest pop song is Bruno Mars. Amy, can you sing just the way you are? Yeah, I love you just the way. That's Billy Joel. No, not just the way.
Starting point is 01:50:13 No, I had... Yeah, that's what you were singing, Amy. I know, but I had Bruno in my head. Okay, fine. Just... Now I have that. Sorry. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:50:25 Yeah. You can't go, yeah. When the song's playing. This is literally what she did. She goes, face. Yeah. Girl, you're amazing. Yeah, now you can sing it.

They got together in 2009 after she threw a water. bottle at his head during rehearsals for the MTV Music Awards. They spared no expense in the extravagant ceremony in India, which includes a procession of elephants, camels, horses, dancers, and musicians, only 80 guests in attendance. Their marriage lasts less than two years. They broke it off July 16th
Starting point is 01:51:02 of 2012. So that is, listen to this. In treating their guests to various song and dance performances, Katie Perry and Russell Brand also reportedly showered their closest friends and families with shopping sprees and safari trips. It's like the reverse wedding. If you got invited to that, it's probably amazing. Instead of taking gifts, you get gifts? Yeah. That would be amazing. Raymond, you should do that when you finally get married.
Starting point is 01:51:27 All right. How's that going? Me getting married? Yeah. How's that engagement? Maybe this weekend? Well, it's not yet today, but possibly this weekend. You never know.
Starting point is 01:51:37 Boom. Never know. I just talked to the sales guy yesterday. About the ring. The thing everybody's wondering about. Does she care that you're getting a hookup through sales? She wants me to get a hookup. Because?
Starting point is 01:51:50 That's more money for us to spend on other things. It's a good point. I like that she thinks like that. I didn't know if she was going to be offended. No. She picked one of the most very, I mean, very nice ring, but like she wasn't going for $20,000. She said something was a normal price,
Starting point is 01:52:03 and I thought that was great. What kind of baller range you working in here? Four or five? Ballpark. Yeah, I mean, obviously, my ceiling is five, but I, you know, tried to play it cool, but she was, it was a beautiful, beautiful ring at four or something. Okay. But still no ring from sales department.
Starting point is 01:52:19 They're working on. I mean, it could be in my mailbox right now. I got to go upstairs. If they put it in your mailbox? I don't think that's weird. All right, that's it. Going to get a haircut, have therapy, I have a Bobbycast at 6 with Josh Keir, who's a writer, have dinner tonight at eight, I don't want to say exactly when, but I have a...
