And I got on one of my co-worker cars the other day, and he had you guys playing. So now you are set in both of my vehicles. Oh, visit her 14-year-old daughter at night? Oh, no. No. Police are identifying the 18-year-old man who was secretly living in a family's attic in their Tennessee home. 18-year-old Matthew Castro would sneak out of the attic at night

to be with the 14-year-old who lived in the home. He's like he didn't get shot. Yeah. Not only for being in the attic, but for being with the daughter. Yeah. Apparently the girl's mother found Castro when she came home and spotted him at the top of the stairs.

He ran to the girl's room and then poofed his. appeared. And then she was like, wait, what? He now faces charges of aggravated criminal trespass. Is there a charge for like creepiness or police are identifying him and the attic door was in the girl's closet. Oh. He also refused to exit the attic when the cops came. I was like, I'm not coming down. And I'm forced to remove him and I don't know what they did. They threw the push in there. But he's going to get in trouble. Also, he's 18 of the 14 year old. Let's Let's not forget that. There's also the creepy part where he's living in a house.

There's also the, but then he's 18 with a 14-year-old, which is not acceptable, right? I don't think so. I think it depends. But sometimes it's, no, no, seriously. I don't know. Each state has different. Maybe if she's about to turn 15 and he was just 17. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Because if you're a senior in high school, sometimes you dated a freshman. I didn't. Nobody would date me. Well, my school, they did. I was trying to date anybody. Yes. Lunchbox's got a baby. Eddie's got four kids, two his own, two foster kids, big Father's Day. But did you know Ray Mundo is celebrating Father's Day? For what? Why? Like for his dad? No, no, no, no.

Oh, for him. But why? What? Yes. What? Are you... What? Wait, is this an announcement? So yes, so I'm also celebrating Father's Day. Hold on, Amy.

Relax. Because what you're going to hear, he wanted to share it on the ear. Why are you screaming what? Because you're about to hear. hear the news? Yeah. What news are you going to hear? Is Bay having a baby? Well, Ramundo, tell her why you're celebrating Father's Day. Yeah, so my girlfriend decided to freeze her eggs, so we have 23 little eggs in a freezer. And so I'm now a father. And it is my first Father's Day,

and it's absolutely crazy, and she calls me Dad, and I call her mom, and they're there, and we can go see them in the freezer, and we froze the eggs. Yeah, but those may not be yours. They have to be fertilized. Yeah, you have to fertilize them. So to me and her, we have 23 little eggs right now. They're ours, and we can choose to have 23 kids if we want, and that's totally up to us, and it's such an awesome feeling being a dad. I mean, it's kind of crazy. No, he could look at any girl out there right now and be like, I can be a dad with her. But we decided to do that.

And so is it, when she decided to do that, was that because of her treatment, her cancer treatment and chemotherapy radiation? They said it'll be a lot easier for to have kids then when she's later into her 30s, so it would be perfectly set up. And we can have them whenever we want. I was just clarifying for listeners and might be like, huh. So you feel like those are your kids? They're my kids and I've already started making some payments. So me and her every year, I have

to put, I made my first payment for being a dad. What do you mean payment? Child support, I think. I don't know. Child support. Has she told you that she needs child support for them? I cut her a check because we have to freeze them. You cut her a check? Yeah. Don't you pay, are you paying the clinic or you put in the college? And then they allow us to come see them in the freezer

whenever we want to see our 23 little eggs. That's so cute. It's awesome. I want me to see your eggs. Have you gone to visit them yet? No, we planned to it. On Father's Day, I want to go play some golf, and she said it's my day, and then I can also go see the 23 eggs at all. You are ridiculous.

So I'm one of the guys. No. No. You got to get a cool dad t-shirt, like Amy. Yes. Oh, yeah. I mean, this is like a big deal. The eggs are frozen.

That would make sense. Eddie, do you think he's being ridiculous? Yes, this is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Just because the eggs are frozen doesn't mean he's the dad. Like, what if some, they break, like, I don't want to be negative, but what if they break up? Some other dude can fertilize those eggs. That could always happen, but as of right now, we're in the relationship, and they're my eggs right now. Okay.

Yeah. Have you named them? No, we haven't. But, I mean, that is a lot of eggs to name. I don't even know. I haven't really thought that far ahead, but it is awesome. I'm nervous right now, even just saying that I'm a dad. Because you're not.

Thank you for talking to us. What's on your mind? Yeah, no problem. I just have a question because I'm, like, annoyed every day. So I know you've been working together for more than 10 years. Yeah, us on the show. Amy, we've been together for how long? 13 years?

Lunchbox has not been together 14. Maybe 15? Eddie and I have been friends for that long. Forever, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yes. So in all that time, I know there has to be periods where, like, everything someone else does has got to annoy you. Like, in 14 years, there's no way it hasn't happened.

So I just wanted to know how you guys deal with that because I'm kind of going through that right now. I think I annoy it Amy constantly. She's never annoyed me, though. That is not true. Listen, when it comes to somebody who just. Fuck after because you can't hide it when you're annoyed by me. That's fine. That's true.

here's the reality of and I again this show got to be a show because really I didn't know what I was doing when I started a morning show I was like I'm just going to do what I think is better for me and I'm going to bring on my friends

and also they didn't give me any budget they gave me no money so they basically came in for you guys basically came in for free for a long time so that being said if you just work with anyone for a long time or live with anyone or have any reliance you're going to get annoyed with them

your best friend your co-worker but much like any relationship it's weighing how much is this relationship worth versus how annoyed am I with them and do I want to actually stop being with them I think there are times you just have to address it

Amy and I will just address it and she'll be like all right most of the time yeah it's the best way to just like get it out of the way what's happening specifically Linda?

What annoys me specifically? Yeah because it's something that yeah give me an example of something that's happening to you right now so like yesterday I took a half day

because that's just the way my schedule works. And I came back today and my desk is a mess because he took over my job for yesterday. He's our manager. Like I said, there's only three in our department, so he was kind of the only other person that knew how to do my job. And I'm like, you can't even clean it up a little before I get back.

I think this is a common situation, not just at work, but in life. I think you weigh, is he going to constantly be doing this versus you can just take care of, it and it won't be an issue for very much longer and just know that he's just annoying in that way. I think it's like having a sloppy roommate or husband or wife too. You can clean up after them or you can have the talk with them. What's it easier to do?

Amy, what do you think about this? You can continue to have the talk, but like your husband may or your co-worker, my husband, for example, he never closes drawers. He gets stuff out and does not close the doors. But I've been married to him for like 12 and a half years. We still don't close the doors. And it's still annoying every single time. But I talk to him. I mean, you're not always going to be taking half days.

He's not always going to be taking over your desk. but you should probably just say, hey, when you do, I would really appreciate it if you cleaned up my space. And if you try it once and he doesn't, just know when you take off. And really, you know, a lot of life is knowing your environment. And when you come back, it's just going to be messy. Like that's just how it's going to be. And you don't want to be annoyed. So knowing that you're going to walk to a mess situation, it keeps the annoyance level down because you know what your expectation is of your situation.

Here we go. If you want to, you should have one talk with them. They'd be like, hey, man, thanks. You did a great job actually filling in for me. Like, I really appreciate that. Lead with a compliment. Start off strong. Yeah, and be like,

be like, hey, my death was a little messy. I couldn't find some things. If you wouldn't mind, would you mind, you know, kind of fixing it back up? And if you need anything for me, let me know too, because I'll help you as well and kind of treat it like that. And if he doesn't after that, then just know you're coming to a messy situation. That's it. Like, you just have to live with each other's faults.

But that's a big part of a relationship is learning. and living with each other's faults, but also being understanding about it. Right. Okay. I will do that today. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Four teenage boys, and I'm talking like 14-ish, saved a 90-year-old woman's life. Her house was burning down. She was in her room getting ready for bed.

She looked over next thing she knew, her bed was like engulfed in flames. And she got disoriented. She thought she was going to the exit door of her bedroom, but she walked into the closet, which trapped her even more. And then the smoke was everywhere. Well, the boys, they had gone outside to do something, and they saw the smoke. So they didn't hesitate. One went to the front door, started breaking glass.

Another went to the back door. Another went to a neighbor to get an axe. One called 911. Next thing you know, group effort. But a 14-year-old ended up walking into her house. Found her in the hallway, scooped her up and helped her out. Wow. Yeah.

Pretty amazing. Yeah. They went into the house. Yeah. And then firefighters showed up, extinguished the fire. But it was these boys that saved her life. That's awesome. That's what it's all about right there.

Fun fact Friday. Okay. And this one's for you, Bones. Kiana Reeves' first name means. the breeze. It is of Hawaiian origin, and the meaning of Keanu is, like I said, the breeze. Also, Alice Cooper used to babysit Keanu Reeves.

The school's out for summer. School's out. Isn't that crazy? Where his parents' face? How don't they hook that up? I don't think the Alice Cooper was Alice Cooper back then, though. Oh, wow. Keanu's from Canada, did you know it's Canadian?

What else? So when Pablo Escobar's daughter wanted a unicorn, he bought her a horse and he stapled a cone to its head and wings to its back. Not nice. And the horse... Yeah.

Something about that makes me that he's not a good dude. No. But that. Yeah. And the horse got an infection and didn't make it. Isn't that terrible? Well, that's what you would expect when you staple things to a living thing.

And you're talking about Pablo Escobar. You're kidding. And that's not... Other things he did was terrible. That's... All right, what else? That's not that fun, but you're on... You're on probation.

You're on probation because that wasn't fun. Okay. Don't you ever call that fun. That's not fun. Fun fact Friday. Did you know that 17 car wrecks happen every morning? What? Yeah, go ahead.

Microwave ovens were invented by accident. So Percy Spencer, he was standing in front of an active radar when he noticed that the candy bar he had in his pocket started melting. That's crazy. So then he was like, huh, I guess this could maybe heat up food. That's wild. Yeah, and you'll use those every day. What's happening in my candy bar?

Me standing next to this really unhealthy ray is making my food, hmm, actually quite delightful. Let's try this with fried chicken. Well, why don't we do? What do it happen with corn? Boss, it just popped. So, cans of Diet Coke float in water, but a can of Coke will sink.

If you go back, you ever watch that? And it wasn't a mistake. During the Brady Bench era of television, most major networks wanted to avoid anything that suggested bodily functions. And it wasn't until the late 70s and early part of the 80s that major TV networks started showing toilets on screen. Interesting. I think they were the first couple to sleep in the same bed too.

The Brady Bench people? Yeah, they were the monsters. Yeah. It's on the TV they always had a split in two beds, which is how I will have my marriage, split in two beds. I'm going to go back. All right, Amy, is that your pile? Yeah.

place we escape to get away. So I didn't know in your house, where's your go-to sanctuary? My bed. Your bed? Mine's my closet. Yeah, you have a good closet. Yeah. And that's where I hide from my...

Because it's like a double-term. I can shut the bathroom door, and then I can shut the closet door, and then it takes a while for the kids to find me. Cover yourself and close. Yeah. And then they're like, mom, mom. And I'm like, shh. No, you're like, no mom here. All right, what else?

So, this is just interesting to me because I feel like we're always divided into categories of whether or not we're a morning person or a night owl. Okay. But guess what? You can, you maybe you're not a morning person, maybe you're not a night owl. There are now like two new categories of people, afternoon people and nappers. So you can be those. All of them but morning. Like I feel like I'm a good afternooner.

I'm a great napper. I love the night. No? Because Bobby, you're most, you love the night. You're a night out for sure. But afternoon people are most alert from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Like a crippled wolf?

That was a wolf. Like a wolf, we got kind of trapped and gut out. Y'all don't care. I mean, that's my pal. Wow. It's fine. We're doing a bit. I know.

Y'all went into a bit in the middle of my stuff. People right now in their cars are just realizing there's finally a category for them. You know? They've never been a morning or night out. And now they're like, okay, I'm finally a person and they're doing comedy about it. I know. Sorry.

A woman starts screaming nearby Her 10-month-old grandson Was choking on one of the loose plastic rings And sometimes around the bottle of water You get the lid off That little ring is still in there So he had swallowed it And so this guy's a lifeguard

And he has training with CPR Mouth-to-Mouth All of the rescue stuff And so he goes over And he can see the baby Wasn't breathing He grabbed the baby and starts giving the hymlich maneuver,

but the infant version. Aw. He flipped him over on his knee with his head down. He starts, and I was reading about the infant Heimlich. You can hit hard, it's too hard, and you can hit soft, and it's too soft. So it's kind of like a mid hit

that you have to do almost exactly right, and he does it, and the baby coughed up to plastic and was able to breathe, and then he goes back to work. That's the same. And they also listed his thing. He has rescued 20 people. He's at 20 saves.

What can I do for you? Well, I was wondering, because you're so positive and. everything. Have you ever done or thought about doing motivational speaking? Yeah, so my last book was called Fail Until You Don't, which was a motivational book. That's actually the cat-I have it. I read it in an hour. Oh, you read it in an hour? Yeah, I read it in an hour. Are you a speed reader? Or do I write that 12-year-oldish? No, I just really got into it and I read both books. I like, I read the second one in less than two hours and I read the first one in about an hour. Wow, look at you. I didn't even know that was possible. I didn't either. Well, so I wrote

that book and it was, and thanks to the listeners of the show, it was the number one book on the New York Times bestseller list. And so I did that and people started asking me to come out and speak, and I do go speak at university sometimes. I have a couple this year. I think I'm going to it used to be Missouri State. Now it's at the Southwest Missouri State.

I'm doing a speech there. So yes, I do have, and it's mostly about that. I do stuff where people are afraid to go out and fail and it keeps them from actually succeeding. And the truth that nobody's watching what you don't do right. And I know that's a double negative.

And I made the yoga comparison on the show the other day. Like, let's say you go out and you bomb seven things in a row and they don't go your way, but then one's right and you get a great job. Like you go and you just absolutely are awful in a job interview. Seven in a row, you don't get a job. But then the eighth one, you get that job. Not one single person is remembering the seven bad interviews that you did. The only person that's remembering the things that you mess up on are you.

That's it. nobody else is keeping scores on your messups. That's it. Nobody cares. So I always encourage people to, if you can put aside your personal pride of just like not being able to get it, because you know what pride is, cousin of the devil?

Yeah. And if you can set aside that pride, it's okay to fail because nobody cares but you. And if you don't care, then nobody cares. And who cares? Keep failing away until you hit. We only see our wins. I had a bunch of friends that were like gamblers. And even me, I was a big car player for a while.

and you never go and talk about all your losses. How'd you do today? Oh, I didn't do that well. You move on. How'd you today? Well, I won big. And people only remember your wins. I don't remember the three times you came back and go, yeah, I didn't do that well.

So that's a big part of what I speak on is that. And then overcoming adversity, I feel like I'm very blessed to have come from such a hard background. For a long time, I didn't feel that way. I was always very jealous, people who came up with money or had any sort of support net. But for me, you know, if you're new to the show, I, my mom was an addict. She died in her 40s. She loved me, but it was difficult for her. She was pregnant, but she was 15 years old. My real dad left, and I used to look at that and go, man, I had such a rough childhood growing up, having to support myself from a very young age. But now I look at myself and go, dang, I have all of these skills because of that. And I'm very grateful for a lot of the tough things that I've had to fight through because now I'm strong, man. Like, there is nothing that can knock me down and I can't get up from. And so I talk about that. And, I talk about that. And, Um, yeah, I mean, so the answer is yes, by the way, you have me going into my, my, some of my speech here, but the answer is yes. That's, that's awesome. Like, I mean, if you ever come to Fort Wayne or somewhere close by, I'm definitely getting tickets to come to you, because I, I listen to you every morning and my kids love you. Like, we have to get up early, so we can listen to you guys.

Well, thank you very much. Lunchbox. So, yeah, you're just so positive. I mean, like, I have a 45-minute drive to work every day and you just get me so pumped and ready to go for my day. So I love it. Thanks. I don't feel like I'm a positive person. I feel like I'm someone with just a bit of perspective because I have been through, a lot of us have been through crap. But instead of being angry at the crap we've been through,

we should be just kind of excited. We got through it and that we can pretty much take anything else that comes our way because of that. So that's always a bit of what I do. And you know what I say in the morning, I wake up and I go, am I going to be productive and have a good day today? I have two options.

What are my options? Yes or yes. Yeah. That's right. You also have that man or mouse thing. Well, that's when it's a bad situation. Like, what am I going to do? I'm right as occasion?

Dot E-D-U-S-Military. The Friday morning conversation with Jesse James Decker. I'm walking into our studio. There she is. Jesse James Decker, everybody. One of our final guests in our temporary studio. Oh, yes. Well, that's not that cool, Jesse.

It's because... Hey, how are you? Have you met every... Do you know everybody? Have you seen everybody? Hi, this is Amy. Hi. Hey.

How are you? Are you good? Yeah, I'm good. You know what I... What we didn't talk about? Because Jesse came over to the house, Amy. And by the way, she brought cookies because she... And I was like, why are you cooking?

But you like to cook, huh? I cook like every day. Which is... Why is that weird? You're about to say that's weird. Yeah, because she's rich. Oh. I enjoy cooking.

First of all, and second of all, I'm kind of a food snob. Okay. So I want the food to be really bomb every time I eat it. And so I want to make sure it's, I don't know, I know what I'm putting in, and I know the ingredients. I know they're not slipping weird stuff in there. And my point was they were great. And I don't even only eat cookies anymore. I'm trying to keep my girlish figure.

Jesse and I both are trying to say it, girlish figures. And I ate the cookies. They were fantastic. Oh, thank you. And you really made those, huh? Yes. She has a cookbook too. I made them.

And it was a New York Times, look at this best best best seller. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. But my point was, I didn't know that you were an Air Force brat. Yeah. Where you moved around a bunch. Yeah. My dad is still actually in the Air Force.

He is a general. Wow. And he's been in it for over 25 years. He's actually overseas right now on some sort of assignment. I'm never allowed to really know what's going down. Same thing with Amy. Her husband in the Air Force Forever, and you couldn't know what was going on. No.

Well, sometimes you can. It just depended on the job. Like, it just depends on what's going on. Sometimes I would know. And sometimes he would be like, I'm leaving for 60 days. days don't ask me where. Yeah, and there's things that'll like happen in the news. And I'll be like, oh my God, can you believe that?

And my mom would be like, he knew already. Like he knew a week ago. He just can't say. Like really crazy big things. But I don't know. It's just part of the gig, I guess. Where did you live growing up since you had to move around? So we moved a ton.

But I would say Georgia was where I lived the longest. I was there for seven years. So I started there in sixth grade and I graduated. high school in Georgia, but I went to three different schools within that time frame. Man, and I know what it's like to go to a new school. It is not fun. No, no. But I think it had built, it built a lot of my character, because when you have to go and kind of not only be new, but also learn how to fit in pretty quickly, those are kind of defining characteristics that I still have. Don't you feel like it almost makes you like, I don't know, sort of like antisocial and

you have to force yourself to be social? Amy, would you say I'm anti-social? Yes. Yes, yes. And I do I have to force myself to be social. I'm saying, like, it's actually out of my comfort zone. I think I was probably born to be social, but I think my upbringing made me so antisocial because I was always, I always, like, grew up assuming when I walk into a room that the people in the room are not going to like me. So I've had, like, my husband really helped me get over that. I'm telling you, like, I used to not be able to drive past to school without getting sick

to my stomach and feeling like I'm going to throw up. Like, it was that bad. Like a little bit you gave me a chill because I never, and I've been to a lot of therapy, I never thought about why I always feel everybody hates me when I walk into a new place. Yeah. Because I changed schools a lot. Because we would get evicted or kicked out of places and I'd have to move to a new school. And nobody likes you as a new kid.

No. Automatically. And that's so funny. Minor breakthrough for me right now. Wow. There you go. Because I feel that way. When I walk into a room, I'm like, oh, no one wants to see me.

That's how I feel. I always assume no one's going to show up for me. Like every time I go to a show and my band I'll tell you here, like I'm always like, no one's going to be there. No one's going to show up because people wouldn't show up for me. I had a birthday party and it was a joke around school. make sure no one shows up and not one person showed up at my sweet 16 and my mom bought this big cake we didn't have a lot of money either just there's a lot of things that just happened growing up that I think as an adult have made me I have to really push myself to go out there and I think

people mistaken that as being snobby or not being friendly it's just I'm like really like scared on the inside and my husband's always pushing me in the lower back and like go talk to people like people like you don't think that they don't that's what I need I need a pusher because I had a birthday party. Remember the roller skating party? Do you want to tell her? Well, he saved up and rented out the gym. $25. Yeah. And even had roller skates there for people,

which was thoughtful, but nobody came. We went through the same thing. It's very similar. And it's still like the little small part that it still hurts, a little bit like a little thunk. I know. I think about a lot of stuff. I like shouldn't think about like my high school and school days, but I still think about those little mini traumas. It's what wired us. I don't know why.

They go through them my mind and I'm always like, I get still kind of mad about it sometimes. But, you know, you can't really help the makeup that just how we're made up. It's just, I don't know the way that it goes. But there's plenty to be grateful for. Yeah, a lot. A lot to be grateful for. But I think those little things sometimes drive you to want to be, you know, to want to continue to work really hard. Do you have a friend, because I have a friend who's a comedian, but she is the one who's always, I would say positive to be positive, but she has such a great perspective.

I've had a couple of decisions in my life had to make. And she's like, you need to shut up with worrying and being negative and like, look at what you have. Do you have one of those in your life? That's my mom. Yeah. My mom's completely that way. I'll call her all the time if I'm just having a bad day or I'm like, we'll turn something negative that really probably wasn't negative. And she'll be the one to shake me and be like, this isn't happening.

You don't have someone in your family dying. You don't have someone going through this. Imagine not being able to pay for your bills, Jess. Like imagine all these things. You need to be grateful. Like you have such a blessed life. Like she always puts things in. perspective and I just think you know you need that and we and we do need that I think you

and I both can agree we we definitely grew up very different from the life we're living today like I'm talking completely polar opposite so much so that I feel guilty sometimes like when I got a swimming pool it took me months to feel like I should even put my foot in it because I was like in my town the person at swim pool first of all it was above ground and only one person had one and they were the you were like oh my god they got a laramie got a swimming pool that was the big story around town and when I got I felt so guilty when I got a swimming pool Isn't that interesting? I think I go the opposite direction now where we were on food stamps at one point growing up

and I remember watching my mom in a McDonald's line like counting pennies because that was our dinner and her not being able to feed herself that night. And now I go above and beyond and like any time we go through the McDonald's drive, it's like you want apple pie? You want this? You want that? Like I go over above and beyond because I like I'm so happy I can provide for my children now and we can live that life because growing up, I mean it was like we ran out of food.

we didn't have stuff. I didn't realize how, like, poor we were. And I, you know what's great about that is everybody was also poor around me. So no one really knew. So it was all, for us, it was just pretty normal. I like everybody, like, because again, I would take, I would go to lunch sometimes and I would just take a brown paper bag with no food in it just so people knew I had a lunch. Oh my God. But again, I'm very grateful for a lot of the struggle that I went through because now I'm able to help and give back. Because if it weren't for that and I didn't know, I don't think I could do what I do now and be able to go. Don't you notice those things now? Absolutely.

I feel like I notice. I like there's times where I'm in a grocery store line and I like, I wait for the moment for someone in front of me that I know is struggling to swipe that card to pay for the groceries and I want to do. I want to cover it because I think about those things now and I'm always aware because I did grow up like that. So it's you're conscious of it. You're so much more conscious. Eric will be like when we go to an olive garden, he'll like look for a family. He's like, let's cover their bill. Just because we just, that's the way you think now because you witnessed it, you know.

And because we were helped too. Yes. Absolutely. That was a big part for me. Jesse James Decker is here. You mentioned your kids. You have a lot of them. I have three.

Yeah. I have three kids. You got three kids. And how good looking and athletic are these kids? These kids are going to kind of be, they're going to do whatever they want. Between the genetics of you and Eric. Like, I want to be your kid. Oh, my God.

That's what I look. You'd be answer. Wouldn't you agree? Yeah. These kids, come on. They're beautiful children. They're awesome. How old is your oldest kid now?

She's five. And your youngest is? One. Amy, she has a one-year-old. Three under five. And I follow Jesse on Instagram. And you do the South Beach diet thing. And you're in a bikini.

And Eric, I hope you don't mind me saying this, right? Eric, we're good, right? Eric, point at me. Like, you're ripped again. Like, how do I do that? I... How do I do it? Yeah, we're all like, how do we get it?

What's the secret? it. I think that I just, after the kids, I get so determined to just, like, feel good again. When you get pregnant, you feel like you're kind of, I don't know how other women feel, but I always feel so uncomfortable. I'm 5'1. I'm a teeny person, and I have had nine-pound babies. And so I think I just get so, like, uncomfortable and my ankles, but I can't work out during my pregnancies at all. They're always so low that I think as soon as I'm done having my babies, I am such in a hurry to feel good again. It's not necessarily look good.

Obviously that it doesn't like, it feels nice to feel like you look good. But I think the energy I want it. I'm such an energizer bunny and I like want to go, go, go all the time that I think it just comes to the territory of working out all the time so I can feel good that I build muscle really fast. But also, again, I'm 5-1. So if I work out, it shows up faster because I'm smaller. I'm not trying to make excuses, but. I wish I was 5-1. I'm saying because I'm smaller.

No, you know. Every day you say you're six. too and you're not. Listen, I went to the doctor and I wore tall tennis shoes and I'm officially listed now at 6-1. But you're not that either. But no, yes, the doctor said,

I'm 6-1. Let me save this before. Because Jesse, she's a great singer. And we have lots of music stuff to talk about. And I'm going to bring Eric on in a minute. But Eric, I saw that picture. You would just a cloth over, it was just like, you naked? That's what I'm talking about, buddy.

Yeah. I told her, I was like, I was like, you look. I could stop looking at that one either. What's up with you too? He's into both of y'all. Yeah, yeah. That's right. I was proud of my man.

Me too. I mean, yeah. I'm glad you were. Jesse James Decker is here. You put up the, well, you know what? You sent me Old Town Road whenever you made it, before you even put it up. And not even as a, hey, we play this, but I was like, oh, this is so fun. I didn't even tell you I was going to play it.

Like, it wasn't like, and I just kind of put it in. Well, I feel like you'll be honest with me. I would. Yeah, I will. I would. I mean, you are. So I just figured I would just send it to you. But I mean, just to see what you thought.

You never went back. Nothing. So I was like he hates it. Of course not. And then all of a sudden, a few days later, I'm getting all these tweets and Instagrams with people being like, I heard Old Town Road, Bobby played. And I was like, that little punk, he like didn't even respond. I'm sitting there thinking he thinks this is crap.

I didn't think it was crap. But to be me, I was like, you know what? Let me listen a few times. Because that was a risky thing to do, Jesse. Like to cover a big song that's a bit hip hopish. It was bold, but it was really good. Can I tell you why I liked it so much, though? It's because about 10 years ago, and I got my first record deal, I've had about four.

My first record deal, I went shopping around songs very similar. They were hip-hop beats with banjos and fiddles, and it's such a country fusion. Songs I had written with Jamie Johnson and Randy Houser and John Rich. I mean, they were really in that vein. And I just don't think it was the right time. and people were really thrown off by it because it was so different. And I think 10 years later, some of the songs that are now being accepted are so similar to the songs I put out 10 years ago that people were just shunning because they were just so out there.

And so when I heard it, I was like, oh, my gosh, this reminds me of, like, the first record I put out. And I just thought it was really exciting. And so I just wanted to cover it just for fun, to be honest. But I think the response was so great playing it live. And from the people around me, I thought, well, why don't I just make this a, available and just, you know, my cover just to see if people want it. And they did, so it was good. Yeah, it was good.

And I know I didn't respond on purpose. I was like, let me hear this 19 times. And then I just played it. I was so excited. I told Amy, I said, I haven't talked to her about it. I'm just going to play it, though. I think it's good. Do you want to play some of it?

And so I kept thinking to myself, you know, there's all these songs about girl power and like, screw the dudes. And that's just, I don't know, it's not my mentality. I think we can be empowered as women, but also like want our guys. And I'm one of those where, you know, I'm doing my thing, but I still need my man. I want my man by my side. And I just want women, I think, that are out there that like their men and are happy in their relationships, but want to feel empowered. It's okay. And they can relate to me on that level. And so I've been playing it. And the response has been incredible. Well, if I can say it, I would also like your man at my side.

And you say, I don't lower your head. Don't be embarrassed, Eric. She said you take out your phone and you go, I just want to date you and I will delete every girl in my phone if you'll date me. This is how it went. I told her. Yes, I wanted to be excludes because she was getting hit up that weekend. I was in town from a bunch of dudes.

Yeah. I'm like, listen, I'll take all these girls out of my phone if you tell me we're excludes because I don't want to play this game. And she goes, you ask me to be your girlfriend? I was like, no, I just, I want you to just be with me. And what did I respond, Eric? I remember. Of course.

I said, we just met, so I'm going to need to like, I'm going to need some time on that. I was like chasing like crazy. First time of my life. Where dudes hitting you up pretty hard though while you're with him? It was so crazy. It's like, I'm telling you, and I think girls can relate to this, when you get off the market it slightly. It's like all the men that were kind of wanting you, they like smell it out. And all of a sudden

they're jumping back on you. They know. So all of a sudden, I have this guy in town and we're spending this weekend together and six dudes that I just kind of had, like hanging, all of a sudden they're hitting up wanting to fly me out, let's hang out. Just all these different dudes. And some

of them were names that he recognized. And so he was very like, it made him mad. He gets really heated. I remember you like threw my hand away when we were holding hands. when my phone started ringing. I know. Man, okay.

We had to sit there and run through. They were so hardcore. Yeah, they did not mess around. Who won? Miss New York. Do you remember that? Yeah. Did you get a little thank you note from her?

I mean, yeah. Of course. Who didn't? I didn't get a thank you note. Yeah, I didn't either. Yeah, yeah. No, yeah. It would have been nice to get a thank you note.

What was weird is, I felt like the setup of it was strange, because we were, like, their topics were something else. And then my question that we had asked in a room, like, a gazillion hours earlier, made absolutely no sense. What was your question? It was like, what would you say to dads that don't want to be involved in their kids' lives? when we were talking about something completely different. But in the room, when they were asking questions, it was like we had to write down it was about that topic. It made sense in context of the room, but then on the show.

It was like, that has nothing to do with what she was like, just talking about world peace and now we're bringing in dads. Like, this doesn't even make any sense. It was just strange. Do you know, I remember my question. What was it? Mine was, how awesome is Eric Decker? That was my question.

just finished his fifth tour of the United States of America where he goes around and mows people's yard for free, single moms, disabled veterans. This time it was all former military, and he went to 50 states and mowed their lawns for free. Wow. You know, that's such a cool story. And I remember him doing this before, too. Yeah. When you bring it back up, I can remember him doing this year's past. Yeah, this year was veterans here.

So he did 50 states, went to Hawaii, Alaska. I'm talking to all 50 states. And all he does is he posts a picture next to the state sign and then he asked for recommendations on social media. People give him an address. He shows up. That's wild. I hope next year he does nerdy media personalities yards. Oh, okay. Get that yellow mode, you know?

I had Googled a couple of things last night because I knew we were going to talk about it today. Yeah. The little triangle on your gas gauge. Oh yeah, so helpful. Tell you what side of the car your gas tank is on. I only realized that a few years ago. Same. I did not.

Why didn't they teach us that when we were 16? Because it's super helpful. There's a lot of stuff they didn't teach us in school that they should have. We're over here learning in trigonometry. When I should be learning how to balance a bank account. A hole in the center of the pasta ladle. Mind blown. Is actually there to guide to help you find the perfect serving size.

Yeah. I did not know that at all until recently. And that one is a crazy one. Because, yeah, if you're making like a single serving of pasta or you want to make two or three, you just measure it out in the hole like once, twice, three times in the pasta ladle. And boom, you have the serving size because a pasta, that's so hard. How do you know what one ounce is? I don't.

You know, I read a news story, too, when I was like, holy crap, mind-blown. This Sophia Vergara from Modern Family, they paid her $75 to just wear a type of jeans to go shopping and to tell paparazzi where she was. So, like, put on our jeans, go shopping, tell them where you are, and we'll pay $75,000. Oh, $75,000. Okay, at first she said $75. And I was like, wow, $75,000, wow. That's like, what we get.

Wow. Sorry, $75,000. Yeah, okay. That makes much more sense. Modern family actress Sophia Vergara is a real-life influencer, 75 grand. That's a, I did the math, $37,500 a leg. Wow. That they paid her?

Isn't that crazy? That's nice. She's the highest paid actress on television. She has a net worth of $160 million. There was also a story about that guy who was stealing cars in Detroit. Do you see what his name was? No. Henry Ford?

No, that's funny. Ironry. The creator of the car? Was he stealing Ford's. Well, there's a guy in Detroit real name Henry Ford, and he's one of a car theft. The cops are trying to track him down. And his name's Henry Ford and it's Detroit. That's pretty weird.

In stealing cars, yeah. He's been in and out of prison for stealing things for decades. He was locked up recently for stealing GPS units. which reminds me one time I gave Amy a GPS. Oh my gosh. And you were living in North Carolina. I had just moved there. Like literally moved there.

So we moved there because my husband was going to Fort Bragg. And that's in Fayetteville, North Carolina. But we lived in a small town called Southern Pines like 45 minutes away. And I decided to go to Target in Fayetteville. And I needed the GPS to show me how to get there. So it had been my GPS for a year or so. And I said, Amy, I got a new upgrade. Take mine.

Yeah. So you move in. It's pouring down rain. pouring down rain. It gets me to Target and I'm like, amazing. So then when I leave Target, I'm like, well, time to go home. And you're already like upset because your husband's gone. My husband's in Afghanistan. I mean, we've lived there for a little bit. Again, we use the GPS to travel from Austin to North Carolina to make the move with me. And I hit the home button thinking it had been reprogramed because, again, this belonged to Bobby. So I'm in Fayetteville.

It's pouring down rain. I want to go to Southern Pines. I hit home. And I'm driving along. and I don't feel like I'm getting any closer to where I'm going. And it's been a long time. And then I realized I was headed back to Texas. Bobby's address was still the home button. And I was like, I pulled over and just started crying. Called me. Yeah, it was not my proudest moment.

Because I just was, I already didn't want to. I mean, I moved like happily I wanted to move. But moving was really hard for me. So this is one of those things where I was like, is this a sign? Should I be driving back to Texas? It's so funny, that's where you were driving. Yes. So, mm-hmm, the home button is not always.

And then I learn later, like, you should never program your actual home address into your GPS because someone steals it. They know where you live. They have your garage door opener and all the things and they can hit home and know how to find you. But really, when does that ever happen, though, really? I'm just saying it's a tip. Yeah, I would still take the risk and probably. Well, you can put a, you can put your neighbor's home in there. Or you can put a restaurant nearby your house or something that's like a public space where.

I never find my house there. Listen, that's just, that's just the safety tip. but also hilarious and not a high of my life. That was a low. Definitely a low. Yesterday, Blanco Brown came by, who has this song here, he came by the house.

And we shot us doing this dance. It was me, him, and Kaylee Hammock, who's in my class of 2019. It's up on Instagram part of it. We just had a teaser clip. It should be up. It looks so fun. Because he's going to come in on Monday.

And so me, Eddie and Walker Burroughs, who you would know for American Idol, the Reddy. Heard kid who looked like Harry Potter. Yep. He's so good. And I just put a song. We never actually just wrote a song and sang it and put it on Instagram before. And we did. It's on my Instagram right now.

On this day in 1961, Patsy Klein was seriously injured a car accident outside the Madison High School in Nashville. And so at 28 years old, she sustained some big-time injuries. And while she was in the hospital, her song went to number one. Oh, wow. And there was a lot more to it. She and her brother Sam were in a head on collision on Old Hickory Boulevard in Nashville.

The impact threw Patsy Cline into the windshield. Upon arriving at the scene, Doddy West picked glass from her hair and then went with her into the ambulance. When help arrived, she insisted Patsy Cline that the other car's driver

be treated first because she didn't want preferential treatment because she was a celebrity. She then spent a month in the hospital suffering from a jagged cut across her forehead that required stitches, a broken wrist, and a dislocated hip. During her two-month hospital stay,

I Fall to Pieces, gave her her first country number one, and also became a massive crossover song. So this happened while she was in the hospital. Six weeks later, she went back on the road with crutches and a new appreciation for life. Sadly, the next year, she died in a plane crash. I mean, I was just looking that up because I was like, wow, like a major car accident and a plane crash.

The cause of the crash was blamed on the inexperience of the pilot. Ugh. He was advised that weather conditions were poor for flying. However, he decided to attempt to fly in bad weather. So, yeah. Crazy. This is it. I'm crazy for feeling.
