We don't have a lot of time.
Starting point is 00:02:15 We just finished today's show. We're in New York and we've got to get on an airplane and fly home, but I did have a couple of things I wanted to mention. First off, this guy saw Avengers in the movie theater a hundred and three times in the theater. Wow. That's a lot. I mean, if you have it, you downloaded it or it's a DVD, it's still a lot excessive, right? But still 103 times.
Starting point is 00:02:36 And his name is Mike D. Okay. But so he just really likes this experience? Augustine Alanis. I've seen Avengers endgame 103 times and counting. It's cost him nearly $1,000 so far. Yeah. I was going to say he better be going matinee.
Starting point is 00:02:51 Tweeted a photo of himself holding a ticket with a different theater employee after every show. That's over 300 hours of time since the movie is. is three hours in. Three hours is how long the movie is, right? A little over three? Yeah. It felt pretty long. It's so long.
Starting point is 00:03:05 It's too long. I agree. And Mike D was like, man, you're going to go in, and you're going to blink, and it's going to be over. No, I definitely checked my watch. Yeah, it's a little long to me too. I liked it. Amy, those fight scenes were too long, right? They're too long.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Like, it's so easy. You would think on the editing floor. What do they call it? Yeah, editing bay, editing, anything. When they were doing that, some of the stuff would end up on the chopping, lot. Like, hey guys, this fight scene, instead of it being seven minutes, let's make it four. Seven, seven D. Instead of the... Yeah, you're right. I liked Avengers endgame.
Starting point is 00:03:37 It is a little excessive, though, with the fight scenes. Are they making it any more with those Avengers? Aren't they doing Scarlo Johansson? Like, prequel? Oh, it's prequel of her? Oh. Well, so, I saw that. That dude went a hundred times. You see any good movies like that, Mike D? Any like science fiction movies? No, I watched that movie Always Be by Maybe. Is it good?
Starting point is 00:03:56 Yeah. Oh, on Netflix. I think you'll like it. Cana Reeves in it. Yeah, I know. He plays like her boyfriend. Bobby's gonna love it. Yeah. I will watch him,
Starting point is 00:04:02 Keanu Reeves. You know what else looks good on Netflix? And I haven't seen it, but I saw the preview for it. It's where the Earth is over and there's one little girl and there's one,
Starting point is 00:04:12 the robot, and the robot's called Mother. Oh. What? I, see if you know what that is, but it's, it rolls in my section of things you might,
Starting point is 00:04:21 that the top Netflix thing works like things you might like. Yeah. Interesting. So that. Is it named Mother? I am mother. Oh, I am mother.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Is that what it's called? I think so. Yeah. What's the review on it? It's a movie. 90%? Yeah. I love that end of the world stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:38 I'd be so good at the end of the world. And you love robots. Yeah. Well, I like AI. Yeah. Well, I don't know. Is this mother like a robot or she looks like AI? Does she look like a mother?
Starting point is 00:04:48 Well, anything can be AI. It doesn't matter. AI doesn't have a look. Oh. I assign it with a look, but I guess Alexa doesn't have a look. Alexis is listening to us too. All the time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:57 I need her. to have a look for Stevenson's birthday. Yeah, Amy's son wants Alexa to come to the house for the birthday party. Because he talks to her every day. Like, every day, they play music with each other. They talk about the weather. You got a new questions podcast? Is that up today?
Starting point is 00:05:12 That was on Tuesday. Oh, today's Tuesday? No. Today's Wednesday. Yeah, no, that was yesterday. Yeah, it's up. Q&A. Listen, I'm going to tell you, my days are mixed up too.
Starting point is 00:05:20 Because we did CMA, never took a day off and I wore the same clothes for four days. I'm not sure what day was what. Well, I will tell you, yes. It went up yesterday. Every Tuesday is the fifth thing. There you go. The fifth thing. The podcast is called Four Things with Amy Brown.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Check it out. I get Dustin Lynch coming by next week. Come by the house to do a podcast. Oh, fun. Kaylee Hammocks coming by this week, who's one of my class of 2019. You should have to check out the Bobbycast and the guys to do a show called the Soar Losers, S-O-R-E. Although, is there another way to spell sore?
Starting point is 00:05:51 No, it would be sour, but no. Okay. Although I don't hate the sour losers. That's not bad. Mm-hmm. All right, we're going to go. Here's today's show. Sorry, we've got to get on an airplane.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Catch you tomorrow. Bye, everybody. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. I'm a trams, my dog. This is the Bobby Bones. Hey, welcome to Wednesday show.
Starting point is 00:06:16 Good morning, studio. Morning. Thank you. You know, yesterday we found out what blood types that Amy and I were. You know, they were missing the Red Cross needed A, B, and O type blood. So we came on and said, hey, if you have this blood, like, give blood. It'd be awesome. Because so many people get hurt.
Starting point is 00:06:31 You get hurt. You can car red. A lot of reasons people need blood. And so we tested our blood and just an update. Amy, you are? O negative. And that is the blood of... Me?
Starting point is 00:06:41 Yeah. You got a rare one, my view? O negative? It was... So, like, nothing was happening on my test. So, like, you, your different samples, like, there was four different little slots. And, like, some of your blood started to separate
Starting point is 00:06:53 and create all these little dots. And my blood wasn't doing anything, like, on any slot. Like, nothing was happening. And apparently that's what happens if you're what I am. Is Amy rare? Is that what you say? What's the universal blood type? Oh.
Starting point is 00:07:06 It is, but what about O negative? Is that universal? Or is that bad? Must be rare. The rebels. I don't know. I don't know. The evil, is there O positive?
Starting point is 00:07:16 There is. Oh, Amy is O negative. And I am B positive. I like my name. Perfect. It's so fitting. That's also my new rapper name, B positive. Thank you, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:07:28 My one chuckle there. Thank you. Yo, yo, yo, it's B-positive up in this mug. Yeah! Well, I'm glad everybody's here. Let's do it on This Day in Country Music. I always love this segment. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:07:41 The Bobby Bones show. On this day in country music. Because it's so good. Because it's the jam. Dolly Parton recorded Jolene at RCA Studio B in Nashville on this day in 1973. RCA Studio B is a recording studio built 1956. Elvis Presley made more of the 200 songs this location and Dolly Parton wrote this song by herself in 1972.
Starting point is 00:08:05 She recorded it the following year on this day and Jolene was released. Here is Jolene. Here you go. And then here's the Pentatonic's version if you care to hear about that. Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene. I'm begging of you, please don't take my name. There you go.
Starting point is 00:08:37 By the way, Jolene was nominated for two Grammy Awards back in the day. for best female country vocal performance. And how many do you think she won? Other two. Two. No, zero. She didn't want any. Oh, what?
Starting point is 00:08:46 I know. Recount! Yeah, that's weird. Yeah, that's weird. Dolly Parton the greatest. And on this day, Jolene was recorded at Studio B in Nashville. How was your day yesterday? It was really good.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Yeah. And can we readdress our blood real quick? Okay, go ahead. Just so we clarify in case some nurses are listening because I know we'll get emails. But I think there's only O negative. I don't know if there's O positive. What about O-10? O-Town. No, and the universal plasma donor has type A-B blood.
Starting point is 00:09:15 A-B. Okay. So we messed up every part of that conversation. Basically. But you fact checked it. Oh, wait. They're so positive, Amy. I'm stupid. There is so positive. Never mind. Just carry on with your day. Get your blood tested. We're probably going to have to go to a real clinic since I order those kits off Amazon. Is that the same as Amazon? Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:35 Sorry, now I'm flustered because I feel bad for messing it up, but whatever. Donate your blood. That's the message here. What does it say about B positive? Does it give any traits? Is this like, I'm an Ares and I'm B positive? What does that say about me? It says so much about you. What's the total mix? Mm-hmm. Does I say, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Nothing. What do you mean the total mix? What's my integral? You want to know the percent of the population that's B-positive? Yeah. 8.5 percent. Is that the lowest? No.
Starting point is 00:10:01 Oh. A mine is 6.6 percent. No, I don't care. You don't care about me. No, if I don't win, I don't care. Okay. Like, I'm left-handed. and I take pride and only like 9% of people are left-handed.
Starting point is 00:10:11 My dad's left-handed. Okay, I don't care. I'm just kidding. I do care. But lefties, is it true that y'all are more creative and or is it just a... I think it's probably just an old wives tale. It is. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:23 All right, we're going to get started today. Oh, wait, what did you do yesterday before we go? Oh, just hung out. We're in New York. We had a client event last night. That's it, really. Work stuff pretty much all day. I edited my podcast, which will be up tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:10:35 I saw Lizzo yesterday. Talked up for a while. Oh, how is that? By the way, Lizzo is a pop artist. So good. Here's some of her song here. She is super nice. Super normal.
Starting point is 00:10:53 We did a charity event together. It was me, her, and Dan and Shea. Did you feel empowered after encountering her? My ovaries were rocking. They were just like, woo, we want to stand up for something. I'm female. Hear me roar. I can do it all.
Starting point is 00:11:04 Morgan number two, you love her, huh? I do. And I was so jealous when I saw your Instagram story. Yeah, it's on my Instagram story if you want to see it, Mr. Bobby Bones. But she went up at a charity event. like 200 people there. And when she performed, she was so loud, she blew out of speaker. It was so good, but she was so good. Starting point is 00:14:17 Here's the Bobby Boneshow podcast. Highlight segment of the day. I was on an airplane flying out to New York, which is where I am now, but I tell you, we get up and the weather is so bad, Amy was on the same flight with me, but the weather was so bad,
Starting point is 00:14:30 they go, hey, we can't land. We're flying into New York. I'm like, well, so we're going to circle for a little bit. Do you know what I'm saying that? Yeah. We're going to circle for a little bit. I'm like, okay, I was kind of in a hurry.
Starting point is 00:14:39 we were in a holding pattern but I was like okay well it's a hole well the circle and we circle forever and I start to go well I don't know if we're ever
Starting point is 00:14:49 gonna land and the guy goes everybody we got a little something to say here we're gonna run a gas soon if we don't land and we can't land here so we're gonna go to another city
Starting point is 00:14:58 and I'm like well that's unfortunate because you know you don't go somewhere and not have plans so in New York I had a bunch of work stuff to do I was going to go to that Tim McGraw thing
Starting point is 00:15:08 and so I was like all right so we fly to some other city I don't even know where we landed do you like Rochester Stewart yeah did that even a city it's Stewart Airport it's in New York I didn't know what state we were in but yeah
Starting point is 00:15:21 so we land and some guy goes hey can I get off here I want to get off the plane and they talk a little bit and they're like let us ask the gate attendant and so they decide that they're going to let people off
Starting point is 00:15:35 but one they can't get back on because once they're off, they're off. Like they have to get it their own way to however they're in. And then two, their bags aren't getting off with them because their bags are under the plane. They're not going to go dig around for one bag. And so they say, yes, you can get off here, but you can't get back on the plane. And two, because they were just refueling. And two, no bag.
Starting point is 00:15:54 You have to get at LaGuardia of the airport in New York. And the guy's like, no. And I'm sitting right there. And I'm like, oh, baby, we're about to have an incident. And I'm always up for a good incident on the ground. Right. And we were on the ground at this point. We were grounding it up.
Starting point is 00:16:08 And I'm like, oh. And this person next to me, I was like elbowing him. And I was like, are you watching this? And they were like, why about it? They didn't even care. We had front row seats to the show. They didn't even care. And so the flight attendant goes, sir, it's not,
Starting point is 00:16:20 there's nothing that I can do about it. I'm the flight attendant. The pilot was told to land here, but we can't get your bag because it's underneath with all the other bags. We're not opening that. We're just refueling. And he's going, my bag's right there.
Starting point is 00:16:31 You get my bag. And I go, ooh, this is me. Ooh. And so she's like, sir, we can. He goes, I'm getting off the plane. And I expect to have my bag. And he walks off the plane and I hear him yelling or out to the plane. Here come the cops.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Boom. Boom. Handcuffed. Gone. Arrested him. There's no time for that at the airport. Arrested him. Justice is served. The long arm of the law is awesome.
Starting point is 00:16:54 It's kind of crazy because you know that that's not how he saw his day going. You know, like at all. I wondered if that was the guy sitting next to you back there. I thought, yeah, because he was not. happy about it. He was ready to go. He was like, get my things. So I couldn't see eventually what happened to him like way up there. But I mean, it could have been because he was not having it. Like he was already mapping it. Before we were landing, he was already mapping how long it was going to take him to drive somewhere. He's like, I'm getting off this plane as soon as we land.
Starting point is 00:17:21 I'm getting in a car. I'm driving. And I'm like, ooh, maybe not if you got arrested. It's funny. Yeah. Some of us thought it was funny. Some of us were like, why are you, it's just You know, we read about the stories. There was another story where a plane lands. And the person, it was before they went up. They're on the ground, though. And the person had to go to the bathroom. And they thought that the exit door was the bathroom.
Starting point is 00:17:40 Well, because the plane's not in the air, you can actually push that door open. Oh, no. So they pushed the door open. And the slide came out. And the plane was delayed eight hours. Ugh. Yeah. That's nothing.
Starting point is 00:17:53 I don't want that incident. How in the world do you think that that is your bathroom? Drunk, maybe? Blind. Could be Okay Well now I feel that I don't think they were blind
Starting point is 00:18:04 Yeah I said couldn't The person couldn't hold it Before takeoff Scurried to the toilet That's how they're in a rush They saw a door And they're like
Starting point is 00:18:10 They're about to poop their pants Yeah Yeah Yeah the old poopy pants Yeah Sometimes What Sometimes if you're in a hurry
Starting point is 00:18:19 Or you're in a scurry You can't tell the exit door From the bathroom I'm in a hurry To the commode I open the door And the slide comes out That'd be fun, though, to see the slide.
Starting point is 00:18:30 It'd be fine to go down the slide as long as you'd have to wreck or crash. I know. I mean, I would be like, so while it's out, can we just... Yeah, fly attendant. Bobby Bones Show. Big three stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there?
Starting point is 00:18:42 In sports in France, U.S. women's soccer team beat Thailand 13 to zero in the Women's World Cup. In New York, we're now finding out that the helicopter pilot that crashed on top of the building wasn't authorized to fly in bad weather. And finally, in the Dominican Republic, the second man suspected in the the shooting of ex-major leaguer David Big Papi Ortiz has been arrested by the cops. The Boston Red Sox legend also took his first steps, so that's awesome news. It's a Bobby Bones show. Okay, remember this.
Starting point is 00:19:11 I played the metal cover of Jolene. Jolene and Jolene. Do you know it's very aggressive, but it is a pretty good cover for that type of music because he stays with the melody. I'll give you a metal version of a TV song, name the show. Okay. All right. We'll take turns.
Starting point is 00:19:30 here. Okay. Amy, you're up first. Here you go. Oh, you want me to stop it? Yes. You don't like that? That's fun. Good, Amy.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Let me hear the chorus. Double-biz. Amy, what is that? Friends. Correct. These are metal versions of TV theme songs. Lunchbox, here you go. Here is your song.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Lunchbox, what is that one? There's no words? No, there are no words. I guess. The Simpsons. Correct. Oh, wow. That's right.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Yeah, dude. All right, Amy, ready. Name this one. I have no idea. Your guess? Did you guess, please? ER? No, Game of Thrones.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Oh. I don't watch Game of Thrones. Shoot, I didn't watch E.R. Should have gone happy days. Lunchbox, here we go. Name this one. Pretty funny. Pretty funny, huh?
Starting point is 00:22:00 Yes. Lunchbox, what you got? Man, it sounds like Inspector Gadget. Oh. Oh, that's incorrect. On the counter three, everybody says it, one, two, three. Pink Panther. There you go.
Starting point is 00:22:11 Just us, two bones? Yeah, I guess that's it. Amy, ready? One more each. We've tied? Or is Amy up one? Tied? Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:22:23 I wish for a cabin when he kept near the lights and the place that fish and it and a dice in the mirror. It's anything I can say that this car was weird, but I thought not forget your home to belly. Fresh Prince. Yeah. How do they sing like that? I was watching his YouTube video about it.
Starting point is 00:22:44 They sing so from the diaphragm. Which is the way you're supposed to. I know. And if you don't, it blows out your throat quick. Lunchbox, to tie it up. Here we go. Finally, an easy one. SpongeBob.
Starting point is 00:23:00 That's it. There we go. We have a tightest for it. I love that. And to play us out, our very favorite one, Friends Metal version. That's pretty. It's a good one.

Well, I just went to say about how I've read your books before, and I really appreciate them and everything that they're about and everything your show is about. and I've called in a couple times and I've texted into Instagram things and I know of course you see lots of people you hear from lots of people so I've never heard back so I'm going to

Starting point is 00:27:48 all right there's she there she is came through with it. Well, Heidi, thank you very much. Hope you have a wonderful day. Thank you, you too. Bye, bye. That's nice. Let's go to Autumn in Kansas.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Hi, Autumn. Hi. What's happening? It's Bobby. How are you? Good. Oh, my gosh. I'm freaking out.
Starting point is 00:28:05 My husband and I are huge fans of the show. Oh, well, what's his name? We listen to it every morning. Who's he? His name's Zach. Zach and Autumn. Hey, Zach and Autumn, everybody. Yes, okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Today is actually my husband's birthday. Oh, Zach, happy birthday. Yes, we love it. How old is Zach? He's 27 today. That's a good one. That was a good one. Anything you'd like to say?
Starting point is 00:28:29 Just happy birthday to him, and I love him, and we love your guys the show. He listens to the Soar Losers podcast and the Bobbycast, and I listen to the Amy Brown podcast. So we're just huge fans. Well, thank you very much, and happy birthday to him. Thank you. Thank you. All right, bye-bye. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:28:45 You know the other caller brought up that she read my books? I started writing again a bit. Well, so one of my friends said, hey, doing a book, would you write a piece for it? And I was like, yeah. So I wrote, like, I would say it's like three pages on Microsoft Word,
Starting point is 00:29:02 about a thousand words, and I sent it off to him to put in his, his wife's book. And I was like, oh man, I could probably start doing this again. Oh. Not that I'm starting book three, but I did write this whole thing.
Starting point is 00:29:16 And I was kind of re-motivated. Gave you the itch? Yeah. And I sent this off and I said, hey, tell me if this is good enough for the book. And he sent a note back and he was like, dance made me cry. And I was like, I still got it. It's good. It's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:29:33 I'm not going to lie, it's pretty good. But it just, that writing a book's tough. It's just a lot of, that's the hardest thing I think I've ever had to, not anymore. Second hardest thing I've ever had to do. Dancing at the TV show. Not just the show, but like the, the, training for that was the hardest thing you had to do. But yeah, I'm kind of kind of got the itch again to start.
Starting point is 00:29:50 What would the third book be about? I don't know. I had like 19 ideas for the last book. Fail until you don't until I got to it. So we'll see how it goes. Maybe this one would be a coloring book. Oh, adult coloring books are big right now. I'm going to draw an adult part.
Starting point is 00:30:06 No, no, that's not what I mean. They're coloring books but four adults. Oh, oh, I thought it was like coloring adult things. Yeah, no, that's not. No. Bobby Bones is on. Bobby Bones show. latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:30:18 Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. This year in October, Keith Urban will celebrate 20 years since the release of his American album debut. He says his passion for music is still alive, though. They don't feel that much different than when I got started as far as my curiosity and excitement to make music and discover new things and see what works, what doesn't work. And it's absolutely exhilarating, as much as it ever was, maybe even more so. I was watching Keith Urban at CMA Fest, and he played second to last on the last night.
Starting point is 00:30:52 And in the middle of the set, which he didn't tell anyone he was going to do this, even the TV crew, he grabs his mic stand and takes off running through the crowd. And so security's like, oh my goodness. And they're like, get out of the way, get out of the way. He's holding his mic stand above his head as he's singing with the mic in his hand and the guitar around his neck. And he's like, I think I'll just put my stand here. It puts it right down the middle of the crowd and starts to play and sing a song. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:31:15 And his security is like freaking out because they're having a guitar. having to keep you up because he's right in the middle of the crowd. And it is awesome. I mean, it was really one of the coolest things. And I'm like, man, that's why he's entertaining her the year. Yeah. It was so good. What else, Morgan number two?
Starting point is 00:31:25 Miranda Lambert's Mutt Nation set a new record by adopting out 61 dogs at CMA Fest. She shared the news on Instagram and all of the dogs were actually named after country artists. Aw. And so cute. And me. I was the only non-artist that they named a dog after. Oh, that's cool. It was like Merle and Wayland because Miranda stopped me on the way back there.
Starting point is 00:31:46 And she was like, hey, you know we named a dog after you. And I know what she was talking about it first? And I was like, what do you mean? She goes, it, Mutt Nation. And I said, oh, I saw it on a blackboard. She goes, it was adopted? I said, was it the last one? She goes, no.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Second last. Yeah, she named a dog after me. And it got adopted. To whomever adopted the Bobby Bones dog. Thank you very much. What else, Morgan, number two? New music from the all female group. High women is coming.
Starting point is 00:32:08 Brandy Carlisle said that a tour is being talked about and the music is done. And the new single is coming out in July. That group consists of Brandy Carlyle. Marin Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Himby. I had a good time. I'm going to just because see if it's happened. I know a lot of these people have good stories from it recently. I went over to Brandy Carlis.
Starting point is 00:32:25 I was dressing room and hung over with like 15 minutes. The nicest person. I really didn't know her that well until I know Marin well. I know Natalie Carlyle. I know Natalie Hilary well. But Brandy Carly was the coolest and went over and talked to her for a long time. And I stole the coconut water up hers. Oh, nice.
Starting point is 00:32:38 I didn't ask. You needed to get hydrated? Well, when they walked out, I went over just took her from refrigerator. And I snuck out with this, too, in case she wanted it. Yeah. Just her left a little note. I owe you. No, I didn't wrecked.
Starting point is 00:32:49 I didn't bump into her car. Okay. All right. Morgan number two, is that it? Yep. I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:32:56 With Bobby. Tell me something good. An eight-year-old boy was with his family. They were out in the water in North Carolina off the beach. And he's not one of those big old unicorns? Like the big floaty unicorns? Yeah. So he's on this.
Starting point is 00:33:12 The wind starts to blow and it starts blowing him out to sea. And he can't fight it. And so he was a half a mile away. It blew him a half a mile out. That's far. Rescue chief Tony Young said he did the right thing by staying on the float. And they called a boat and they went and got him. It took about 15 minutes to get out to him.
Starting point is 00:33:34 But the message is, if you're on this, stay on this. Because he could have drowned jumping off of it. Fright and trying to swim back. The boy in the unicorn made it back to shore safely because the rescue team was there and kind of saw it, saw him doing it and got out there and saved him. But one, I'm amazed that that thing would blow out that quickly. And then two, I never thought about that. Stay on it and they'll come get you.
Starting point is 00:33:53 But when do they not see you anymore? I guess I wonder, and this could be too, like just preventative-wise, like if you've got kids out on these floaties in the water, like maybe tire rope. Who's going to do that? It's like the kids at the mall with the leashes, you know? Who's going to tie a rope to the kid on a floatie, though? I don't know. I thought that was a good story.
Starting point is 00:34:12 There you go. That's what's about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show. The story of the day. This story comes to us from Great Falls, Montana. A 20-year-old man is facing numerous charges after he wanted to get his friends some pizza. The pizza delivery truck was out front, and it had a bunch of hot pizza, so he jumped in and drove off.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Thought, oh, this is so funny because they have real ovens on this pizza truck, so he pulls up to his friend's house and goes, pizza, pizza, pizza for everybody. And he got charged with theft, stealing the car, and many other crimes. You know, though, for the rest of their life, that's going to be a lot of their life. That's going to be one of the funniest pranks. Yeah, probably. And mostly with these bone heads, I go, not worth it. But how old are they?
Starting point is 00:34:54 Do they say lunchbox? 20 years old. When they're our age, right? They're going to look back at that and think it was the funniest thing. It's going to be such a great story. Nobody got hurt. Right. He jumped in a pizza truck.
Starting point is 00:35:07 He should have done it, by the way. It's an innocent bonehead, is-ish. Don't do it, kids. Yeah, don't do it. But kind of funny, huh? Yeah. If you draw, Amy, if you stole a pizza truck, you drove it to my house? You would think it was hilarious?
Starting point is 00:35:20 I would think it was so funny. Oh, okay. All right, lunchbox. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Starting point is 00:38:53 Dot E-D-U-S-Military. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. I'm a translate. Bobby Bones. How was reading that Gwyneth Paltrow does not live with her husband full-time? Oh, they don't?
Starting point is 00:39:15 Why? Gwenith Paltrow and her husband Brad, who I think one of the glee creators, is that the guy does? He stays over four nights a week and then goes to his own home. Oh. Paltrow says her married friends say the lifestyle sounds ideal. That's interesting. I think because of tradition, we automatically fall into things and then don't question them and then we automatically because of tradition tell other people they're wrong.
Starting point is 00:39:39 Just because we were told something. Well, I mean, she's been through marriage before. I mean, she was married to Chris Martin and she's probably figuring out, okay, This is what works for me. This is what works for us. Gwyneth Paltrow. By the way, she invented conscious uncoupling. Remember that with Chris Martin?
Starting point is 00:39:53 Yes, they didn't get divorced. You're right. They were consciously uncoupled. And then they got divorced. Yes. In an interview with the Sunday Times, she revealed she doesn't live with her husband full time. They both have their own homes.
Starting point is 00:40:04 She loves it. And she was like, listen, it gives a relationship polarity. And her friends are like, oh, man, that's awesome. I was talking to a friend the other day about sleeping in the same bed with your husband and wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend, or whatever. Yeah. And he'd be like, man, she just talks all the time. In her sleep? Yeah. And I say, see, that's unhealthy for you if it keeps you awake. So I totally would be down with getting in two bedrooms or two houses. Two houses. If you can afford it.
Starting point is 00:40:32 If you had like if before you got married, you had joined house. Why'd you go from another bedroom to a completely different house? Well, it just depends out close to houses. I mean, and are you neighbors? I don't know. Maybe maybe. Maybe, maybe. Like, say, neighborhood at least. My point is, let us not get into the mindset of just because it's how we were taught, thinking that's the only right way. I do believe I will live with my wife and share a bed. If she kicks all the time... On Tuesdays.
Starting point is 00:40:56 We're going to have to have a talk. And I'm not against not sleeping in the same bed if it's unhealthy for one of us. If it's unhealthy for her too. Right, because you may store her. Sometimes I just wake up for the middle of the night and do this. Yeah, or that. Yeah. That could be bad for her.
Starting point is 00:41:11 Yeah. So that's all. I just have to go one of the point of the Poudrellegeal story was fun. That's interesting. I was reading a story that 28% of us are too embarrassed to join a gym. I like to say this. And I wrote about this in my last book that we always feel ridiculous because we think everybody's looking at us.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Right. I wrote this book called Fail Until You Don't. I hope you check it out. And in it, I talk about when I first started going to yoga because I was humiliated. And I thought, man, I'm so bad at this. Everybody's watching me and I'm so embarrassed. and I go and I even keep my glasses on during the class
Starting point is 00:41:48 and I didn't know you weren't supposed to I just didn't know anything and I didn't take a water and I was just so dehydrated and thirsty and none of them I couldn't do any of the moves and I just knew everybody was looking at me I just was sure of it I was so embarrassed and I left my head hanging a little bit
Starting point is 00:42:05 and I thought well that's it I'm never doing yoga again because for sure if there's like a yoga illustrated I'm gonna be the cover story worst yogi ever yeah that's why I was feeling in my heart like I felt that dumpy about myself And I looked at my receipt and I had signed up for a three pack. And I was like, oh, man. And so there are no refunds.
Starting point is 00:42:23 And so I said, well, I'm not going to waste money. So I'm going to go back a second time. And I got a little bit better. So much so that I didn't hate myself for being a yoga guy the second time. I go back a third time. But the third time, I started to kind of get it a little bit. So, and now I've been a bunch. But I'm going to say that now that I go a decent amount, I never look at other people in the
Starting point is 00:42:39 room. People don't look around and judge other people for the most part, especially in an environment like this. I'd like to encourage you if you've been thinking about this and you're embarrassed because for example, you know, I own a couple boxing gyms. People go, I've never boxed before. Perfect. Nobody's watching you. You know all the time in the world to learn. So when I read that 28% of people are too embarrassed to join a gym, first of all I relate because I was humiliated doing yoga. But I actually learned from that experience. What I wrote in my book was, is it's a bit of a metaphor for life in that we're doing all these things and we're screwing up and we think everybody's watching us and they're
Starting point is 00:43:10 really not. They're so hyper-focused on themselves and not just in a like an arrogant or a me, me, me way, but a, everyone's worried about that they may look foolish. And so if this is, if you're one of the 28% of people that are too embarrassed to go to the gym, or you're one of the people that are too shy to do this or too scared to take this risk, nobody cares. And I mean that in the best way possible. It should give you all the freedom in the world because other than a blip on a radar, your mess up is nothing in anyone else's life.
Starting point is 00:43:41 And no one keeps track of your losses. Really, everybody only says you win. People will go like, Bobby, you're really hitting it right now. You're in a real successful point of your life. If you had any idea how much I'm still writing stuff and getting rejected all the time and shows that are rejecting me all the time because I'm not right for it or I'm not. But nobody sees that and they're not supposed to see that. That's the beauty of it.
Starting point is 00:44:03 So when I read that story, I thought I would just kind of share that message that if you are specifically one of these and you're going, I don't know if I should go to the gym, I'm kind of embarrassed. Go to the gym. If you want to go to a gym, go to a gym and don't walk. Do light things. It is intimidating. But it was also intimidating for every other person in there. At some point, it was also intimidating for every single person
Starting point is 00:44:27 and they had to go through the thing that you're going through in your head right now. So in the gym or in life, the only way you're going to get better at something is if you go and you're not good at it for a while. That's it. And as soon as you allow yourself to not be good at something is exactly when you get better at something. something. So, there's that story. I mean, I kind of veered off on that because I spent a lot of time thinking and writing about that, and I live that story. So, yeah, so, there you have.
Starting point is 00:44:55 It tied all together. There you have it. It did tie all together, I say. Hey, thanks for hanging out with us. By the way, if you're in Denver or Chicago or El Paso, come and watch Eddie and I's Comedy and Music Show, The Raging Idiots. It will be in town soon. Ragingidates.com. And now over to the mailbag. Here we are. Bobby's Mailbag. Hey, Bobby, sending you this message because I would appreciate your advice. I have feelings for a coworker.
Starting point is 00:45:24 What should I do? I don't want to run the friendship we have, but also want to be more than just friends. Classic situation like Jim and Pam at the office. Should I tell him how I feel, please help, regards secretly in love. I'll say this, that I've dated people. people I've worked with before. And how'd that work out? Well, we're not together anymore, but it never was this relationship that was awful afterward.
Starting point is 00:45:51 A little awkward for a minute. Yeah. I'm thinking about a little bit of a different case. But here's the thing. If he's single and you're single, you're always going to kick yourself if you don't say something. It's almost, you know, nothing risked, nothing gained. So I would say If there are no rules against it at the office
Starting point is 00:46:16 Oh yeah Because that could be a thing Like no, what is it? Frattenization Yeah, that's close enough Okay If there are no rules against it I think you should actually feel it out
Starting point is 00:46:27 And just risked that it's going to be awkward for a while You know there was a girl Who worked in, didn't work in the building In the last couple years But she worked in the record business And I was like, hey, you want to go out sometime? And she did not. Oh, she didn't want to move.
Starting point is 00:46:41 She don't want to cause any of that? Okay. Well, it wasn't that. They just don't think she liked me. And so... Oh, she used that as an excuse? No, no. She ended up getting a boyfriend, like, pretty close after that.
Starting point is 00:46:52 Oh, okay. But it was always kind of awkward when I would see her because I was a guy that was like, hey, do you like me? And she was like, nope. But you can get over that pretty quickly. Or you can't. But if you, I would have always wondered. But yeah, saying something, and then if that person doesn't feel the same way,
Starting point is 00:47:06 you have to show up to work every day and see them. Yeah. That's part of life, though. I mean, if you're not going to be vulnerable, I mean, you could get a new job, I guess. No, not even that. If you're not going to be vulnerable, then you're not going to get any sort of reward. So my advice would be if it's illegal to go and say, hey, would you want to go out sometimes more than just friends?
Starting point is 00:47:26 And if it's no, it's going to be awkward, but that's okay. At least you tried. Not just in this situation, but in life. Put yourself out there. Sometimes it doesn't work, but the times that it does is really great. And if you break up, it's going to be awkward, but at least you know you tried. Amy, your advice? Yeah, I mean, I guess I'm not as go for it as Bobby is because, yeah, it would make the work situation really awkward.
Starting point is 00:47:47 But hearing Bobby say that you've got to be vulnerable if you want to get reward, then I back Bobby up. You got to go for it. Lunchbox your thoughts? Listen, man, you got to shoot or shoot. If you wanted the chick, you've got to go for the chick. Go ask her out. And if she doesn't say yes, then you go complain to HR and say she's harassing you. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:48:07 Now, that's a different approach, one that I did not think of. Yeah, that way it doesn't have to be awkward around the office because she won't be around the office anymore. I guess make sure you do handle. Wait, wait, wait. How do we know it's a she? I'm imagining this is a girl writing about a dude. I think it is a girl writing about the dude.
Starting point is 00:48:21 But either way, he or she, if anybody else is listening, they may be in a similar situation. So I think that, ooh, be careful in how you do it. Because what if they do, like, take it as some sort of weird thing and they go to HR? The way you do it is, hey, I know where it work. It's very professional. But would you be curious and get at lunch sometime?
Starting point is 00:48:40 as in a non-professional situation. Use all the right words in the office. Okay. And if they say no, that's okay. It's just going to be awkward, but you get to live with that at least. Yeah, that works would be like, hey, you want to grab lunch? And they're like, oh, yeah, we need to discuss this case or whatever. And they take it as business.
Starting point is 00:48:55 And then you're trying to be all pleasure. Whoa, all pleasure? You know what I mean. I don't know what you mean. Well, is it business or is it pleasure? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Okay. Never mind.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Okay. Well, and that is the mailbag, everybody. And that was Bobby's mailbag. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Go to Facebook and write your own answer over there. Starting point is 00:52:46 slash military. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So a grocery store is admitting embarrassing things on plastic shopping bags to try to get people to bring their own reusable bags. Funny. So if you shop from there, you may get a lot. bag with all your groceries and you have to walk around and they might say colon care co-op the weird adult video emporium or dr tow's wart ointment wholesale yeah you struggle a little bit with those because i only heard one of those really war ointment wholesale okay well are we warped shaming though like i don't
Starting point is 00:53:21 like that either because sometimes people get warts on their hands and some people need colon care Yeah, that's funny, though. I'd be like, all right, sir, here's your bag and grab your bag. What, little p. Industries? I don't want to carry this around. There, like that. Maybe you should send them some ideas. I'm sure they'll put it on there. But, yeah, I mean, it's pretty funny. People just bring their own plastic bags if they don't want to carry those or their own reusable bags. So, Kraft has released it salad frosting for kids, which is basically ranch dressing in disguise. but it's supposed to like trick the kids
Starting point is 00:53:58 and wanting to put it or eat their vegetables and want to put it on there because it's got the word frosting in it which makes me think of the time we talked about how maybe when you put something in front of your kids that's healthy and you really want them to eat it you don't say like something in their mind will instantly
Starting point is 00:54:14 go like oh I'm probably not going to like it because you're using the word healthy so instead of saying healthy you can say oh you should really try this it's yummy so it's like word trickery Are you doing this with your kids? Oh I say yes yummy. Yeah, I try. Or with them, like, with Stevenson, if I tell him it's going to make him grow,
Starting point is 00:54:31 he will down it. Like, now he eats salads. That works. Oh, yeah. Like, give them a reason why they need to eat it. Which healthy food, that does help your body grow. I would think, and again, I don't have any kids. If you knew to the show, I have no kids. I've tried. Nah, I guess I haven't. But still, I wouldn't say that because then that means if you really, it really is yummy, they're going to associate that with being gross. Oh. Okay. Now it's, Well, no, there's research. There's research. I'm not just saying this.
Starting point is 00:55:00 But if you tell your kids all the time that broccoli is yummy, and it's never yummy, and then you go, okay, that is a yummy. But oh, let's try these green peas and they're like, you're like, this is yummy, it's not yummy. Then they're not going to believe you ever when you say yummy. You just cried a wolf. I don't know if I've got a case study happening in my house right now, but I will tell you when my kids arrived, they wanted nothing to do with vegetables, especially
Starting point is 00:55:19 Stasheera. And she was set in her way. She was like 10 when she got here. She's 12 now. Like she likes rice, beans, fried plantain. and that's like her wheelhouse. So she always was shunning the vegetables. And now they both eat salads every day.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Because that's all you give them. It's either starve or eat the greens. No, but I mean, obviously, whatever I've done is worked, even I'm shocked. Like, sometimes I'm like, what is happening? Like, this is amazing. Good for you. Yeah, that's good. Listen, I'm glad.
Starting point is 00:55:48 Whatever. If I eat, what made me grow still? Well, you keep wanting to shrink. Well, I like to get taller. but also on the internet it says I'm 510 and I'm so angry of everything about me okay how clarify right now you have all the ears listening to you how tall are you six foot one you're six foot the doctor told me the doctor told me I was saying I measured you're not six one I promise you I measure are you six and a half I well I was wearing I was wearing tennis shoes like okay like still the doctor's like me having on heels and saying I'm five seven no it's not I'm five eight I'm according to my okay according to my according to my last physical, I am 6 foot 1. What does
Starting point is 00:56:29 internet site say? Hold on. I'm so angry. Bobby Bones, age 39 years old, height 5 foot 10 or 170. That's not true. Ouch. And how much did they say you weigh? I hate that the most. It doesn't. It gave me centimeters. Okay. Yeah. What else? I was like, I thought you said 178 pounds. I was like, that's a wrong due. Oh yeah, that's weight over.
Starting point is 00:56:49 He's 150, duh. No, I'm not more than that. All right, go ahead. What else? Okay, so heads up. Father's Day is this. Sunday so if you need to do some shopping you better get on it but the number one thing that dads actually want for father's day let's say like you're out of the house is simply a phone call from their kids like 50% of dad say that that would just be amazing and that's free like everybody can do that yeah that sounds easy I wish I knew my dad's phone number I don't know I'm why am I laughing why what's up you said I could call for free I'm not right I'm saying that's
Starting point is 00:57:24 what he would want for father's day maybe I put up a smoke signal like I fly one of those planes over? Anyone seen Bobby's dad? I put up my phone number. You met up with him? You wrote about it in your last book. I did. Chapter 1. Yeah. I know. So...
Starting point is 00:57:38 Bye, so... Yeah. I mean... Father's Day. You know what I'm probably going to go, though? Where? Right now, I'm feeling like I may go to Omaha to watch Arkansas in the College World Series over the weekend. Well, that's cool. Yeah, like Saturday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:50 You know how I won't be taken? Your dad. I mean, that's my file. It's time for... the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this police officer in Minnesota, he was called out to do a welfare check on this older
Starting point is 00:58:09 woman. And we got there, kind of took care of what he needed to, but he noticed that her yard was like way overgrown. So he went and got out her lawnmower and got to work. Totally not part of his job description. That's pretty cool. Yeah. I love when they do that.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Yeah, me too. And I bet she did too. And then some stuff got posted on the police department's Facebook page. A lot of people in the neighborhood are commenting like, oh, we would love to, like, help her get some yard furniture so she can hang out outside and, you know, others in the community now rallying around. So it's super cool. What about him? They call him to do some more yard work. Hey, officer.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Yeah, you've got a new side hustle. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:59:01 Over to Amy. Let's go with that morning corny. Here we go. The Morning Corny. I needed a password, eight characters long. A password eight characters long, huh? Yeah, so I went with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Eight characters.
Starting point is 00:59:19 There you. I like cartoon characters. Yes. Yeah. Thank you. That was the Morning Corny. Bobby Bonds. Your daughter just turned 12.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Yes. And you're going to send her off to church camp, huh? Yeah, she's going away. I mean, she wanted to go. She heard about it when she was at church and her youth group class. And she's new to youth group too. She wasn't like the kids Sunday school. But then now she's older.
Starting point is 00:59:45 So she really wanted to go. And I didn't want to say no because this is a great experience for her. Although it's going to be a lot because I mean, she's never done anything like that before. How long did she go away? Four days, three nights. Yikes. And that's the longest that she's ever done that? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:03 I mean, she's only spent the night away. but at like my sister's house, you know? But to be fair, no, let's not remember. She lived in an orphanage with a bunch of kids for the first 10 years of her life. Yeah. I mean, she's a survivor. Like, she'll figure things out. Don't get me wrong.
Starting point is 01:00:18 But I mean, I'm just like, you know, like I'm going to be like, make sure that you're able to. She can't take her watch phone. I thought maybe she could. And I was like, oh, she'll be able to call us if something's wrong or something's up or she's, you know, I don't know. There's older kids there. Remember at church camp? Sometimes that's when you would like get a boyfriend. And I'm like, whoa.
Starting point is 01:00:36 Yeah, first boyfriend time. Yeah. And so she's just not even ever been exposed to that at all. So I'm just nervous about a few things. But she can't, no technology. She can't take her watch phone. Well, what kind of clothes do they wear? They said, so she's really, really concerned because they said to not bring anything inappropriate.
Starting point is 01:00:54 So no, none of her bud wiser's shirts? She's trying to figure out. But she came home and she's, like, stressed out. And she's going through her whole closet. And she's, like, pulling everything out. And she's, like, running downstairs one by one. Mom, is this? inappropriate and I'm like nope that's good and then the way she says inappropriate is just the
Starting point is 01:01:09 cutest with her little Haitian accent and I think we found enough clothes that are appropriate she doesn't have anything inappropriate but how far away is church camp oh man it's like at least three and a half hours I think oh good isn't like east Tennessee close enough for you to get out there if you're going like rafting and it's awesome it'd be so good for her I hope so that's my hope and it'll also be bad but it'd be more awesome because when she's it you learn I know. I feel like she better not come home like thinking that she's 18 or something. I don't think that, but I mean, you get picked on. I'm like, just learn about Jesus. You're not part of the group sometimes. You feel ostracize at times. But all that's part of life.
Starting point is 01:01:47 But really you make friends. You do fun things. I think it's 8515. But we need some of that negative. I want to say negativity. Yes. We need a bit of things not going our way. adversity. Yeah. Yeah. We need that. Like that's as much water on the plant as things going the right way. Right. Because we have to learn in our life, not if adversity is going to come, but when it comes, because it's coming, how you deal with it then.
Starting point is 01:02:19 It's never a matter, and this is now adult time, but it's never a matter of if bad things are going to happen, ever. It's a matter of when they do, how are you going to respond to them? and so this is she's had a lot of adversity in her life she grew up she grew up in Haiti in an orphanage but this is a different kind of adversity in her new life
Starting point is 01:02:40 and I think and I whenever you said that to me it wasn't about the rafting or or or friends it's about oh she's gonna go and experience some real life kid adversity things not going her way
Starting point is 01:02:51 and that's really how we're kind of ding ding ding ding ding ding you know yeah I kept going back and forth like is she ready for something like this is she ready like oh gosh but we've just got I have to let her go be a kid and do her thing. And when I was 12, I was going to church camp.
Starting point is 01:03:06 Me too. My mom put her trust in the people. And we've kind of vetted the whole process. I feel good about it. And yeah, she's going to spread her wings. We mentioned this yesterday that we were going to talk about this today. And again, let me say that if your church is taking kids at church camp and you do have some disposable income at all, like off to the side, ask your pastor or preacher, we
Starting point is 01:03:28 call her a preacher. Everybody has a different name, pastor, priest, priest. But like, hey, are there kids that maybe can't afford to go to church camp? And I say that because I couldn't afford to go to church camp. And some of the best summers I ever had were at church camp. And that's because people paid for me to go. Like, it wasn't like a scholarship from the church, but I'm not even sure who paid for me sometimes. Right.
Starting point is 01:03:47 But they knew that I couldn't afford it. And somehow my church camp fees got covered. I never asked a question. I was never made fun of for it because nobody knew. Yeah, I was on the deal. Yeah. And I remember just going, hey, we got you covered. And I never asked, because I was embarrassed.
Starting point is 01:04:01 I was embarrassed when I was a kid that I grew up was very poor. But I would encourage you if you're at church on Sunday or maybe you go to Wednesday night church. I don't know. Just ask, hey, is it coming up and how can I help a bit? Because it don't mean so much to a kid that can't go when they can. Because for me, that was a big deal. And that's when I first started getting rejected by girls. I learned a lot.
Starting point is 01:04:23 I'm almost, and I've almost got out of that phase where I'm not being rejected. But I started way back there at church camp. I hope if anybody hits on Stasier, she rejects them. Nope. I hope she comes back with a boyfriend. No. Oh my gosh. We're not ready for that. Starting point is 01:08:08 made of honor you just had a baby but if you don't you have a few weeks I need you to lose some weight for our picture and if you don't I may have to think about replacing you Oh no Okay first of all
Starting point is 01:08:19 What do you think when I say that? I feel like you need to accept your friend just as they are I would never be able to say that to a friend Like, pictures aren't perfect. I mean, if she gained baby weight, she probably wants to lose it too. She doesn't feel her best, her most confident, her most comfortable, but it's part of the process. So you just got to let it be.
Starting point is 01:08:39 And I'll be something you look back on and be like, that's the baby weight I carry to bring my child into this world. Maybe. And again, maybe I think differently than most people. You know, I do. I do. I think differently. I think I would encourage all my friends to get fat, so I look better. Oh, good one. I'd be like, hey, why don't you guys go have some babies and hit me back?
Starting point is 01:08:55 We're getting married tonight. Or like, hey, because I mean, who cares? Just keep telling them how amazing they look. Eat this. You look amazing. Didn't you have a friend that would, like, feed her husband on the slide, like really bad food? Did I? You had a friend, you said that she would cook and like put extra.
Starting point is 01:09:11 Oh, yes, yes, yes. She was fatten him up. Yes, you're right. She would add extra butter and oil. It wasn't like she was giving him more food. Yeah, but she was adding more calories. Why? Because she thought it would be less desirable.
Starting point is 01:09:26 to other people. So she was fattening him up. I forgot of that. Tell me that's not. That's psycho. It's a good thing right now. I can't remember exactly what friend that is, but it'll come to me in a minute. Yeah, Amy's got the craziest friend stories.
Starting point is 01:09:39 One friend did that. The other friend had a baby in a toilet. Yeah. Didn't even know she was pregnant. Nope. She was going to the bathroom and out came the baby. Apparently her uterus is set really far back. And then she walked out with the baby outside and like her mom.
Starting point is 01:09:56 lived close by and she walks across the street to her moms and they drove her to the hospital. And she didn't feel like she put on a few or... No, no, she said she thought she had gained a little bit of weight, but never... Was she taking Miralax? No, listen, all I know is what I'm telling you. And, yeah, we went to college together. Crazy, right? Yeah, you have some crazy friends. Because, I mean, had she been, because she said had I known I was pregnant because she was still, I mean, she was like 20, young 20s, like, she was still going.
Starting point is 01:10:26 out, like having fun, like doing things that she would have never, like, been drinking, you know? Yeah. I think her baby's fine. I don't know. But, I mean, she's like, I swear I didn't know I was pregnant, obviously. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:39 In the toilet. Well, the bride wants to replace her maid of honor if she doesn't lose the way. You know what? That's not. But that's also not the kind of friend you want to have, frankly. You should reevaluate your friends. Yeah. It's like if this is a real thing and she's going to replace you, she really ain't your friend anyway.
Starting point is 01:10:52 Like, you're with your friends, the good and the bad. Yeah. The thick and the thin. Ooh, got it. But I would just want everybody thick but me. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:11:04 Tell me something good. There was a couple at Lake Michigan. They were taking engagement photos. Hey, we're getting married. The ring drops off her finger into the water. They search for hours. Can't find it. And they put a post on the Facebook page.
Starting point is 01:11:21 And an off-duty fire chief gets his metal detector, gets his wetsuit, gets his wetsuit, gets out in the water and finds the ring. Metal detectors are... Waterproof? Yeah. I guess there must be a special kind. You know what?
Starting point is 01:11:35 I bet if you live on the water, they probably have waterproof metal detectors. Yeah, what do you think they take down to go treasure hunting? Boats. Oh, good question, Amy. I don't know. I don't know. Above the water. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:11:48 That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. A lock of Beethoven's hair is up for auction. Ooh, how much?
Starting point is 01:12:12 Well, how much do you think? Ludwig van Beethoven. His hair is being auctioned off. The German composer allegedly gave it to a friend nearly 200 years ago after he cut it off himself. Interesting. The hair displayed in an oval frame is being auctioned off at Sutherbees. Southerbees, I don't know, say it.
Starting point is 01:12:31 Whatever, yeah. Rich people auctioned on. land and how much amy go ahead $200,000 $200,000 You know how it's not that exciting when someone goes over Oh is it like $5? It's like it's their thing between around $15 and $19,000
Starting point is 01:12:47 Okay that's still too much But you get $200,000 so you got to ruin it Sorry I didn't mean to but hey can I have some of your hair You want my hair? Yeah I need to get a haircut why what's up? Well I can get it because maybe one day I could be like yo sub the bees Sothebys. I have Bobby Bones' his hair. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:06 Justin Bieber's right shoe. How much is that? How much? Oh, well, now I don't want to go over, so... No, just be for real. If you go over, that's okay. Okay, fine, 10,000. At the end of his purpose toward eight in Frankfurt,
Starting point is 01:13:19 Justin Bieber took his easy trainers off and threw him into the crowd. Oh, yezies. And the person that managed to get a hold of the right shoe, put it on eBay. The left shoe had its own Instagram account with 7,000 followers. Wow. They deleted it. But his right shoe. Is right now auctioning off for $10,000?
Starting point is 01:13:34 $5,700. Okay. Brittany's first pregnancy test. Oh, $20,000. Oh, sorry. Back in 2005, a pregnancy test, which was said to belong to Brittany, made its way online. Someone claimed they had found the test, which was positive, in a trash bin of a room Brittany had been staying in with her husband, Kevin Federer. Wow.
Starting point is 01:13:55 That's so weird. I don't need all my stuff in the trash cans being examined. I know she's famous, but you know how they're going through all their stuff anyway. Right. How much? It was sold online. Brittany later confirmed that was the per pregnancy test. $5,000 for the pregnancy test. I don't know, but I'm selling all my stuff to Amy.
Starting point is 01:14:14 I'm going to overpay for sure. I'm like, Amy, the right pinky toe nail. One million dollars. I know. Sold. Lady Gaga's fake fingernail. Okay. When one of Lady Gaga's false nails fell off. on stage, someone who worked at the venue, managed to find it, and sold it on artfack.com.
Starting point is 01:14:34 How much for Lady Gaga's fake fingernail? Okay, fine. A thousand dollars. Don't do it because of the game. Just literally, yes. Well, I mean, literally. $1,000. $12,000 for a fake fingernail.
Starting point is 01:14:47 That went for more than Britney's pregnancy test? Shocked. Which would you pay more for than pregnancy test? You know what? I'm going to pass on both of those. I know if I say you had to. You had to. I don't want something with P.
Starting point is 01:14:59 on it. Oh, I'm sure I don't want the fingernail either. I don't want to end up one of this. Jennifer Lauren Sports Brawl for Silver Linings Playbook. Ooh, 5,000. 3,100 bucks. Okay.
Starting point is 01:15:13 A pair of the queen's pants. $6,000. Okay. Yeah, I knew you're going to guess like a million, so I was just going to cut that one off. Okay, one final one. Okay, go. A bag of air from an Adele concert.
Starting point is 01:15:29 Oh. Someone put a bag of air from one of Adel's shows. The listing read, grab a piece of history for your Adel collection. A true fan must have this air. Bid now for a bargain. Note, I'm selling a sandwich bag which contains the air, because they took the air and sealed it.
Starting point is 01:15:52 This air... I hope nobody is done enough. How much for Adele's bag of air? Amy. $2,000. Boom, $15. Oh. Nelt it.
Starting point is 01:16:06 I thought maybe there was some super fan out there that, you know. Yeah, they paid $15. That's way too much. That's $15 too much. And Justin Timberlake's French toast went for $1,000. Oh. The half-eaten French toast. Oh, they straight up took it from where he was eating.
Starting point is 01:16:19 At Elvis Durant show right across the hall here. Oh, really? That's funny. That's funny. Y'all. Restaurant server's biggest pet peeves. You ready? Mostly I do this so you guys know.
Starting point is 01:16:33 Yeah, make sure we're not doing it. I appreciate it. And by you guys, I mean, anybody that's listening right now, we feel like you're part of us. And I was a waiter for a long time. I never called myself a server. I was a waiter. Here you go, number one,
Starting point is 01:16:45 when people shake their glass for a refill. Yeah. Lunchbox, do you do that? Yeah, a little bit. I feel like that'd be a you thing. I mean, you've got to get their attention somehow. And, I mean, clapping or snapping is kind of rude. So, you know, hey.
Starting point is 01:17:00 It works. Yeah, shaking the glass. Don't shake the glass. That's one. Because then you're just, you take your time with them. And you realize the person that shakes their glass also isn't a person who's super considerate to leave a big tip anyway. You can kind of see a lot of common factors in the same kind of person that gives you 5%. Well, if you're thirsty.
Starting point is 01:17:21 What? I mean, if you're thirsty, you got, I mean, let's say you're sitting there for five minutes and they haven't filled up your glass. You've got to let them know, hey, this is empty. Well, you're assigning. things to it now. Like five. If someone walks by, you can, you can raise your hand a little bit. But like, hey, excuse me.
Starting point is 01:17:36 That's okay. But shaking your glass. Not cool. Stacking your dirty dishes and silver on top of each other. Oh, that's not helpful? Mm-mm. Oh. Because they have to, and I would have to, like, take my hands and undo it.
Starting point is 01:17:48 Which means you get all in your hands. You get ketchup on your hands. You get mashed potatoes on your hands. Oh, okay. So you do think you're helping. You're right, but you're not. Okay, got it. So that's number two.
Starting point is 01:17:59 This is an Eddie one. Oh, boy. What do you think it is? Staying too long. Boom. When customers sit at the table for hours after they finish eating. When you don't leave the table, this is what I told Eddie,
Starting point is 01:18:13 no one else can sit there so they're losing money. But that's not our problem. Yes, Eddie, but okay, but if we lived our life, if that's not our problem, you wouldn't recycle. There's a lot of things that you wouldn't do because it's not my problem. It's our next generation's problem. Dang, you got me with the recycling.
Starting point is 01:18:28 Okay, yes, and you have to take into consideration. Like, if you are having a good time and you want to stay, Bobby, do you think it's okay to stay as long as you tip more? You can either, but again, they're not going to know that until the end, but you can order drinks. Okay. And but yes, you have to leave a tip. But also, if they're empty tables around you, you're all good. Right. Ain't nobody coming anyway.
Starting point is 01:18:49 Yeah, that's annoying. But if the tables are full, like, their rent, my rent would depend on how many tables I could turn over. and you tried to mix great service with being efficient. And so there's a mixture. And so Eddie would be like, let's just chill. You got a book? You got a book in the car? I'll be like a book.
Starting point is 01:19:07 You're like, I'm going to read a little bit. What are you talking about? We're, you know, Chewy's on a Friday night. I was like, we got the babysit for three more hours. It's hang. Yeah. So that's a thing. Don't do that.
Starting point is 01:19:18 Right. Okay. The, whenever, say you have the tray. Amy sees me holding a tray up. Like you have a tray, right? Yeah. You lay it down on a little stand, and then you take the plate off the tray
Starting point is 01:19:31 to lay it on the table. If you don't move your hands out of the way, like you should almost take your hands and just put them completely off the table, put them by your side. Because they're trying to put plates, places, and if your hands are in the way, they're not going to go move your hands.
Starting point is 01:19:44 They're just going to try to find a weird spot for it. Okay. So just get out of the way. Yeah. When the server comes with your... Be aware that the food's coming. Get out of the way. It's annoying when people make their server take
Starting point is 01:19:55 multiple trips back and forth because they don't order everything at the same time. Like if you know you like ketchup, ranch, hot sauce, more ranch. If you can ask for it at once. Yeah. And mostly, listen, it's my job to go do that. And I'll happily go do that. But if you're just looking out for your fellow man, the best you can. But if you get something to go, oh, you know, I forgot.
Starting point is 01:20:12 It's not a big deal. But about four times, you're going, oh, my gosh, you've had it. You should know. Got to be prepared. Talking about server's biggest pet peeves. So people will ask for things like, extra cheese, guacamole. If that happens, let's say you ordered lunchbox, if you order extra guacamole, you like guacamole?
Starting point is 01:20:32 Love it. Okay, you order extra guacamole, and then you get your bill and you were charged 40 cents for guacamole, extra guacamole. So ridiculous, and I get so annoyed. And, like, why do they charge you? Just give it to me and maybe you'll get a bigger tip. Once you charge me, I'm giving you less of a tip. Well, you know, it does cost the restaurant money. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:50 And that's a thing. And avocados are expensive. Like extra cheese, guacamole, things like that cost. more so than ketchup. And whenever someone gets irritated and takes it off of your tip because they had to pay that, you just got more. And now you're going to give me less because you got more. I didn't want to pay for that more.
Starting point is 01:21:07 Yeah. And it's not the server's fault. Nope. And then finally there's one about letting kids run around a restaurant when it's not a playground. For me, it was always, it'd be like, hey, Bobby, there's an eight top coming in. We need two high chairs. And they want a bunch of crackers. And I'm going, oh, my gosh, crackers.
Starting point is 01:21:23 The bane of my existence. Yeah. Because you couldn't sweep them up during when everyone else was there when they left. Because crackers get everywhere. You can't sweep up a table when there are tables next to it for health reasons. So you got to pick it all up with your hands. Now, after everybody leaves, you can sweep it with the broom or with the vacuum sweeper thing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:41 But there you go. There are some tips. I thought I'd share with you guys. That's helpful. I learned something. Yeah, thanks, Bones. Not to stack up the plates. And Eddie?
Starting point is 01:21:50 I'll try to leave a little earlier. You don't have to leave earlier. Just make sure you go. have your meal, don't rush, but also, you're not getting a suntan, take a nap, we're going to sun tan, all right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:03 Okay, shit. I saw this poll which asked what actors or actresses have played their role so good that people only see them as that actor. Okay. When it comes to your mind, who do you think, Erkle?
Starting point is 01:22:19 Joey. Oh, from friends? Yeah, and I know he's gone on and do other things, But yeah, he's always Joey to me. And I think it's got to be tough whenever they show in syndication so much that you can't really shake it. Not because maybe he did or didn't do so good, which I think he did too. I agree.
Starting point is 01:22:35 But if you're always seeing him as that, he's still that today because it's always on. And the syndication, it's hard because you always see them as that age. And then I see him now. And I'm like, whoa, what happened? But I mean, he's gradually been aging. And the biggest two shows on Netflix are... Friends. The Office and Friends, one and two.
Starting point is 01:22:54 Period. Of all new shows, all movies, all everything. Those are the two biggest shows. So on TBS all the time, I watch it, Friends. And I watch The Office all the time. So, okay, are you ready? Ready. I'll give you the actor, you tell me the role that they're most famous for. These are the ones that have listed.
Starting point is 01:23:10 Chris Evans. Captain America? Yeah. Because, again, can you think of anything else he's been in? Nope. Me either. And I'm sure he's been in a bunch of stuff. Daniel Ratcliffe.
Starting point is 01:23:20 Harry Potter. And his? typecasting of that Harry Potter. It was so much. He went on Broadway and got naked on stage. Oh, yeah. Because he was like, I'm trying to break Harry Potter. Here's my Pee-B.
Starting point is 01:23:34 Lisa Kudra. Oh, Phoebe. From Friends. Yeah. Jim Parsons. Big Bang. Do you watch that show? No.
Starting point is 01:23:43 But, I mean, that's what he, that's all he does, right? He doesn't need to do anything else because he makes like a billion dollars. Yes. But also, you know, creatively, you want to continue? Sure. He's the reason that show ended, right? Because he didn't want to come back. Oh.
Starting point is 01:23:55 All the other ones were like, come on, we want to keep making his money. And he's like, you know, creatively, I want to do other things. He's in the commercials. What commercial? Some, like, travel site. Oh. He's in some commercial. What is it?
Starting point is 01:24:09 Ted Bundy movies in that? I haven't seen that one. How about Mark Hamill? I have no idea. You don't know who that is? Uh-uh. If you were a Star Wars fan, he's Luke Skywalker. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Eddie, then Mark Hamel, that's who you know. him from right? That's Luke. Yeah, I don't think he's had done anything else. I mean, the thing is, yeah, they probably have. We just don't. That's true. We don't know. Well, yes, but again, you only know him as Luke Skywalker if you do. John Snow was, do you know Kit Harrington? You don't watch Game of Thrones. No, but I know John Snow. So right now, it's going to be tough for him to break out. The girl did, uh, Sonsa Stark. She did X-Men, the one that came out, and it bombed.
Starting point is 01:24:50 Oh. It was like the lowest X-Men. of all time. Did you watch Star Fienis, Mike D? Will you watch it? Honestly, if Mindy's not going to watch a superhero movie, you know it must be a turd.
Starting point is 01:25:02 How about Robert Pattinson? Oh, Twilight. Yeah, except he's about to be Batman. So he really has a chance to break it. Because he's going to get this legendary character. Yeah, as long as he doesn't have any glitter as Batman, he should be good.
Starting point is 01:25:14 What if he's glittered Batman? He's like pale with glitter. Sarah Michelle Geller? Buffy the Vampire Slayer, for sure. John Ham? Oh, Madman. Don Draper, Madman. I don't know if you'll know this one.
Starting point is 01:25:27 It's a little older than you, I think, but Ralph Machio. Mm-hmm. Why do I know? Oh, oh, Karate Kid. Karate Kid. Yeah. And Alicia Silverstone. Clueless.
Starting point is 01:25:38 Clueless. Mm-hmm. Those are all the ones. And most of them, I can't think of other things they've done. Any other ones do you guys want to add? Lunchbox? That, what's his name from Napoleon? Oh, yeah, John Heder.
Starting point is 01:25:51 Yeah, that guy. I mean, you see any other movie, and I just see it on Napoleon Dynamite. And he tried because they did Blades of Glory. He's done some things. What do you do? Benchwarmers. Like seven people saw that. That was cool.
Starting point is 01:26:05 You see that one, Mike? Of course he did. Michael go watch Benchwarmers that made $19, but he won't go watch the new X-Men. I thought that story was good. Eddie, anybody, you could think up on that list? I have problems with all the cast of Seinfeld. I know you guys say like Elaine. Oh, dude, she's crushed it.
Starting point is 01:26:22 Veep? Oh, yeah, Veep's good. Veep is next level. Like, as good as Seinfeld may be better, but only because it's current. But you can watch her on that show and not think of Elaine? Yes. Absolutely.
Starting point is 01:26:34 That's awesome. Same. I tell you, whenever I was watching a star is born, I didn't stay Lady Gaga, Lady Gaga. I thought she got out of that pretty good. And I know it's not exactly the same. But similar, yeah. So are they going to date or what?
Starting point is 01:26:49 What do we think? Is Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga going to date or what? Yes, they're probably already dating. No, no way. And he broke up with this girl. I know, but I think it's just coincidence. Okay, whatever you say. What do you think, Bones?
Starting point is 01:27:01 Yeah, probably. Really? Yeah, yeah. They may try it, we may never know about it, but yeah. I think so. In the shallow. Bobby Bones show. There we go.
Starting point is 01:27:17 We're done. Amy, I was thinking about your end song, by the way. Oh, my winning song? Yeah. Okay. Like when you win a game and it's the end of the bit. Tell me more. What if you did, we talked about this before, Alicia Keys.
Starting point is 01:27:31 That girl is on fire. How about that one? You like that one or no. I don't love it. I love that song, but not as my winning song. That's a good winning song. Why, what are you thinking? I don't know yet.
Starting point is 01:27:43 Okay, let me know when you come up with one. Okay, so I'm going to come up with three. That's a good one. It's a great song. It's like not what I'm feeling when I win. What about all I want to do is a zoom, zoom, zoom, boom, boom, just take it wrong. Now, that would be more fun. I just think like fun.
Starting point is 01:28:02 No, it's not just fun. It's got to be reflective, though, of winner. What is Eddie's again? Lunchbox is all I want to do is when Eddie's his uncle singing. So I guess if you have a relative that's singing. Yeah, it's in Spanish. I mean, he could be saying winning. I don't know, though.
Starting point is 01:28:14 I think he's saying Eddie won. Eddie won. Yeah. So, yeah. We're actually going to fly back home today. We've been in New York. for a bit. So we're going to fly back home. For me, they're building a studio in my house today, like a real one. Exciting. I mean, never leave my house again. It's the last you guys have seen
Starting point is 01:28:32 in my face. If they only put like a gym in my house, you would never have to leave. But you do have your bike in your room. I know. And that keeps my room a lot. That bike. Ooh, I set a new PR the other day, personal record on the thing. And I was pretty proud of myself. I gave myself a high-bye. I hold one hand up and I go, nice job. How often do you set new PRs? When I first started pretty regularly, but now, like, I hit hard. Like, I go hard. And sometimes now, like, once every three or four weeks, second.
Starting point is 01:29:04 So that mean your endurance is getting better? Yeah, you got to, I got to have a good day. I got to feel good. And it shows me what my normal pace is for my old personal record. And I have to stay above it because it's tough. But hit me with that name drop, Ramunda. Name drop. I was talking to Keith Urban about exercising.
Starting point is 01:29:24 And he's like, we weren't on microphone. He's like, Bobby, how he stands so skinny? And I was like, it's just a bike. Like, I ride that bike all the time. He's like, is it fun? I was like, no, of course. I'm like, when is exercising fun? I like exercising?
Starting point is 01:29:37 And he's like, yeah, we, do you like, do you like the treadmill? I think Nakes got the treadmill. And I was like, Amy has it, but I don't, I hate running. Yeah. But he's also super fit. He's super fit, super fit. He's super fitness. He really is.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Yeah, he's good. That's what's up. We're going to fly back. I'm going to have a dinner tonight. A couple meetings for a leave, but just normal stuff. Amy, you? I'm just going to be hanging out with the kids, catching up with them. Stasheera, you know, has got some stuff going on.
Starting point is 01:30:07 Like I've got to go shopping with her, find her a leotard for, like, gymnastics. Got me one way either. I need one too. Oh, you need to do one? For when you ride your bike? Yeah, just pick me up on the end. Yeah. I guess they're just going to go to Target.
Starting point is 01:30:18 I think they have cute ones. I think they have them. I don't know. I bought a Britney Spears T-T. shirt at Target, and I wore it, that's in one of my Instagram pictures. And you know things from Target when you see other people wearing them too. Like I saw one of the low cash guys wearing the same Britney shirt. And I text him, I was like, get that Britney T-shirt at Target? He's like, yep. Nice. Yeah. So, we're going to go. I hope you have a good day. I hope everybody has a good day.
Starting point is 01:30:40 I feel like it's a good day. Yeah. That's why we play this song. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Thank you all on Instagram. I'm Mr. Bobby Bones.
