Sunday is a yard care company that builds a custom plan based on your soil and climate, then sends you exactly what your yard needs. No harsh chemicals. just nutrient dense ingredients. You apply with a hose. It's designed to make yard care feel doable.

So maybe you're doing something else too, like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin, saving places you like without thinking you'll even get them. Because that's what house hunting has become. But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing.
Starting point is 00:02:23 It's built to help you find and own a home. Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you've got a real shot at getting it. Redfin helps turn saved listings into real addresses. Get started at Redfin.com. Own the dream. All right.
Starting point is 00:02:43 The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. I just read rude comments on Instagram sometimes. Don't do that. I don't read them a purpose. I don't know it doesn't bother me. But I get direct messages, and sometimes I pop over and read some of them. And it's like, Bobby, why?
Starting point is 00:02:56 It's just a picture of me at the CMT Awards last night. Why what? Your outfit? I guess so. You looked amazing. I thought so. I was pretty proud of it. Why would you even send that? It's not even about that specifically,
Starting point is 00:03:07 but why even take the time to send somebody a hateful message? Right. They have issues. They have problems going on. It's weird too because the dancing with the star super fans are so butt-hurt still about me winning. They just, where they're like, I hate that guy. I mean, they just say things they would never say to my face.
Starting point is 00:03:26 and then some of them will go over to the American Idol page and still be like, I can't stand that guy. Where on American Idol, people like me because I have a good role in that show. Sure. But still some of the Dance with StarFans because I just can't stand that guy. It makes me sick.
Starting point is 00:03:38 And I'm like, why would you even post? Okay, so what if I do? There's no need to go, because it was me mentoring someone on the phone. They posted a picture on the American Idol feed. And some people were like, like, hate that guy. I'm literally helping someone. In a picture of me literally helping someone, they're like, I hate that guy.
Starting point is 00:03:55 just okay so what don't need to post there's a lot of people on like you don't see me on their feeds can't stand you I just don't understand that and why people will do that I'm not there
Starting point is 00:04:06 I don't get it because I'm not in that headspace I understand robbing a bank I've never done that but I understand it oh right you need money yeah
Starting point is 00:04:14 but I don't understand being mean for no reason where it pays off nothing in the end probably makes them feel better bones momentarily for the yeah but even makes them feel better are they just feeling so bad
Starting point is 00:04:24 they have to attack someone to get out of have a little control. Like that's where they feel their control is. It's like people on our Facebook live chat right now that'll pop up. When they're just saying hateful stuff, just get off the, which camera am I in? That one right there. Just get off the page.
Starting point is 00:04:37 If you have hateful stuff, just get off the page. We love you if you don't. But if you're just going to be hateful, just log off the page. We don't need that kind of toxicity in our world. You don't need it in yours. And you're the same kind of person that goes, don't you hate when people are mean on social media? Those are the same people that are doing it. Why do people get on Facebook if they're going to be mean?
Starting point is 00:04:55 You're the same person that does it, toxic person. Thank you. Question. Another note. Question. Do you read all your comments or most of your comments? No. I have found in my life, I do sometimes, but not most.
Starting point is 00:05:13 But I have found in my life that I put myself in environments where I can thrive. Period. If there aren't good influences around me, I cut the bad influence. and so even on social media if I don't hop into my comments unless I know I'm just going to get beat up so I'll hit it and look sometimes especially if I ask a question
Starting point is 00:05:35 but why would I go waiting into a pond that I know has snakes all in it and it's not full the pond's not full of snakes yeah because there's nice ones it's like 0.001% full of snakes whenever you look at the pond but the snakes weren't it for everybody because you're like I don't get the pond the freaking snakes in here but it's why I don't look at it replies a lot on Twitter
Starting point is 00:05:53 sometimes I do. I got to go in with snake gear on. Sometimes on Instagram, I'll look at my comments. But even in life, I don't keep toxic influences. It's like, give it a shot. And if it doesn't work, goodbye. No more toxic and I encourage people do the same thing. This camera right here? That camera.
Starting point is 00:06:09 If people are toxic around you, you either got to get out or get them out. It's no good for anybody. Thank you. We've done with that? I was just on. I don't understand people do that. It doesn't hurt my feelings anymore. But it's weird. I got a couple things. want to say. First of all, there is a new scam going through email that I'm afraid, Amy,
Starting point is 00:06:28 you would fall for. Oh, great. What is it? Well, you know how these Nigerian princes come and go, hey, help. I have a bunch of money. I need to get out. Yeah. That's no longer a thing. This new one I'm afraid that you would be a sucker for. A Nigerian astronaut was reportedly stuck in space by his cousin and he's asking you for money to help get him home. Why would I fall for that? Yeah. Why would I fall for the Nigerian astronaut, but not the Nigerian prince? I am Dr. Barakley. Rocketunday. And then it goes to say he was the first African in space. Oh, that's cool.
Starting point is 00:07:00 They're really stretching it. That's cool. I mean. Let me say this. If you come across this email, do not send them $3 million. Oh, that's how much they want. It is a scam. Good to know.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Thanks for the warning. I just had a Quest bar because I can't eat until 10. Is it 9 or 10? 10. Well, I guess it was 9. I ate the bar during the show. still. Yeah. So I guess nine, I ate the bar. But I don't even like calling it intermittent fasting because that sounds frou-frue and fancy and it's like something that it's not. You know what I do?
Starting point is 00:07:32 I have an eight-hour window that I eat my food in. I don't eat anything for 16 hours. And you know what? I'm already feeling the difference. So it's kicked in. I'm already feeling it in like my gut a little bit because supposedly some of the benefits are your food actually has something to digest. You're not also making weird decisions at night eating little things and not keeping track of it. There's just no food after your eight-hour window. And so it's fine. It was a little uncomfortable at first because I would get a little bit hungry at breakfast,
Starting point is 00:07:59 but I will eat at nine, I'll have a bar, I'll have lunch, I sound like one of those slim-fast commercials, and it's sensible dinner. I eat at nine, because I wake up at four or four-thirty or so, eat at nine, have lunch about 11.30, and five o'clock's my cut-off point,
Starting point is 00:08:15 so I have dinner between somewhere 4.30 and five, which I was already doing anyway. Right. And so that's my block, eight-hour window. still getting about the same amount of food feel good apparently you sleep better because your food's not just screaming
Starting point is 00:08:26 trying to digest food while you're sleeping so I've been doing it about a week and I'm starting to fill the results a little bit and haven't been able to work out as much because I've been on the road a little bit taping American Idol but my early is yes it's working
Starting point is 00:08:41 so I'll let you guys know another few days or so you get hungry the first couple days but then it's just part of it so I just call it my eight hour window diet. Okay. Or it.
Starting point is 00:08:54 No. I know you. Because I'm telling you what people would say I intermittent and fast. It does sound fruit. I'm like, what are you? Are you fancy? Right. But that's just what is.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Do you read that on your blog? Mm-hmm. Your blog where people are chatting and sending emojis? Okay. So it's doing pretty good for it. I would encourage people to read about it first. I'm not saying to do it. Yeah, it may not be for everybody.
Starting point is 00:09:17 Especially women need to watch out for that. Guys can handle the 16. Smaller windows for women. Women are like 14 hours. 12 to 14 hours for women because of hormones. I have hormones. Guys can handle the 16. Well, you might want to look into the 12-hour window if you get testy.
Starting point is 00:09:31 It has worked for me pretty well. Yeah. So far. And then I'm going to give myself like a Saturday off or I can eat whatever I want. As long as you've been good. Yeah, yeah. Oh, no, I have to earn it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:43 I have my one day a week that can earn it. So I'm probably going to have, what is it, Thursday? I don't know if I've earned it this week. but for sure next week I'm probably going to have pizza. That's what I did when we were in Delaware. Yes, and you're like, I have to have pizza. I earned it, so I have to eat it. And here's the reason, because I could be like, you know what, I earned it,
Starting point is 00:10:00 but I'm going to go ahead and work a little harder on this one. If you make an agreement with anyone else or yourself, and you don't follow up without agreement, what would make you think that you're going to follow up with an agreement later on, or even them? And if I tell myself I'm going to do it, I have to do it, or otherwise I'll go, I don't know, am I going to cheat myself out of this week too?
Starting point is 00:10:15 Why would it even work? I just picture you having like the angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other, like just arguing. So you're like, no, I got to stick with it. Yeah. Because, I mean, I get that with another person. But with you, it's like that's your internal battle. It's pretty funny.
Starting point is 00:10:29 If you love yourself as much as you say you do, you should respect yourself and the decisions that you make for yourself. And I've also learned that loving yourself isn't just about giving yourself candy or it's about making hard decisions for yourself for the long-term value of what you're going to do. And for me, it's been, I got to get a little more balance in 2020. I got to get a little more sleep now. I have to drink enough water. Some of that stuff's not comfortable for me.
Starting point is 00:10:51 But if I love myself, which I'm trying to do more and more of, you have to make hard decisions like you would if you love someone. So it's not just about loving yourself as just about making yourself feel good. Sometimes even with your kids, you have to make hard decisions. It doesn't make them feel good, but you know it's better for them long term. Correct. So when Justin Bieber said it, you should love yourself. I think you may take care of yourself.
Starting point is 00:11:11 Oh, right, right, because his mama don't, yeah. The mama don't like you. Maybe it's slightly different. Yeah, a little different. Still, that's my interpretation of how one is supposed to love themselves. I used to think love themselves just meant, hey, take a break. Relax. Like love yourself by giving yourself, you know, a little free time.
Starting point is 00:11:27 That's part of it. I think that's treat yourself. It's part of it too. Part of your loving yourself is treating yourself. That's a subcategory. I think loving yourself too is eating right, getting your exercise in. It's like what you would do for somebody else if you loved, you'd want them to do, you have to do for yourself.
Starting point is 00:11:42 And sometimes that's hard because one doesn't feel good or two, you're like, eh, I'm secondary. Is it easier for you to love yourself or love someone else? Someone else. Because, and I've been talking to my therapist about this, I do love other people. I don't say it. I don't say it in a romantic way. But there's no doubt that I have love for you guys.
Starting point is 00:12:00 You've never told me you love me. Yes, I have. Not in those words. Yes, I have. I would like to hear it right now. No, no, I would say it because it's not in a romantic way. Right, right, of course. So we're cool.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Exactly. But I would say, I love you, man. Hey man, I love you. Man? Yeah. How do you say it? What would you want me to go up to him and caress his cheek? Well, how do you say it to me?
Starting point is 00:12:24 There we go. I love you, man. Cool, cool. But I speak a different love language. Amy last night, speaking of, speaking languages, I, I, I emoji a lot. I think emoji is now, emoji is worth 10 or 15 words. Amy sends me her new bit moji face, and it's a bald woman. and I was like, why is your bitmoji a bald woman?
Starting point is 00:12:48 And she's like, I got lazy and got tired and just didn't do the hair. Somehow it skipped over the hair part, and then I just haven't taken the time to go back and finish decorating her. It's just hair. Yeah. Well, I know, but I have to go back. I don't, yeah, the whole phone update. It gives me anxiety, so I'm staying away from it. Let me run a couple stories real quick.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Weezer sent a gold record to the girl who inspired their Africa cover. So you know they only did They were not more Because this girl kept suggesting it Online Oh wow Over and over and over again So Toto was a huge hit for them
Starting point is 00:13:27 It was their first alternative hit in 10 years And it was inspired by a teenage girl named Mary Who started a social media campaign To get Weasur just to cover the song Not to cut it And so it went gold, half a million copies They sent her a gold record In the shape of Africa of course
Starting point is 00:13:40 That's awesome I do want to do this real quick Hey Hillary would you might come in here for a second utility Hillary sits in the glass room and has really been filling a hole for a lot of different positions. Put that microphone on over there for one second. Hillary sent me a note last night that I thought was pertinent to this room that we should discuss. Do you know what I'm going to talk about? No, I don't.
Starting point is 00:14:14 Ray, let me know when she's ready. Mike on? Good? Yeah. What holiday was yesterday? Oh. Oh, it was National Bosses Day. I didn't know this.
Starting point is 00:14:24 But Hillary sends me a note, hey, did anybody do anything for you for National Bosses? Day? Rude Hillary. And my response was no, they did not. Didn't even know it was National Bosses Day. I guess I would have known had someone decided to do something nice for me. But they didn't. What would you like to say to this group of knuckleheads over here?
Starting point is 00:14:37 Well, I'm included. We just dropped the ball on it and we didn't do something for you. And I feel bad. So I'm sorry. Next year. Ray. Ray. Amy, what would you like to say about that?
Starting point is 00:14:52 Man, I feel bad too. I learned it was National Bosses' Day last night. when I was on Instagram and I saw people had done other things and posted pictures yeah and I was like oh man that is a bummer
Starting point is 00:15:02 we missed that I'm used to being skipped over it's okay yeah so I mean it's just a day we can get you something tomorrow right none of y'all knew
Starting point is 00:15:14 no guys I mean we didn't get appreciated on employee appreciation day so I figure boss's day was the same is there that no yeah there is first Friday and March
Starting point is 00:15:22 well so what I just googled it to make sure what can we do Can you imagine if every boss had it by every single one of their employees something is a gift for National Employee Day? That would be crazy. What can we do to make it up to you? Do you want to go top golf or something?
Starting point is 00:15:35 I would just say, just think about others a little more. I know. Let's make this a learning. Did you know if it was National Bosses Day? What did you get your bosses? Oh yeah, Bones. You have lots of bosses. Yeah, what did you get them?
Starting point is 00:15:47 I only have three, really. Okay. Yeah, I sent them all notes. You did? Really? Prove it. My CEO, my CFO, and the head of Premier. I sent him a note.
Starting point is 00:15:57 You sent them a note? I didn't buy them anything. They don't need anything. I could have just sent you a note last night. It's over, though. You don't have to spend money on things for it to be valuable. Happy belated. It's all right.
Starting point is 00:16:09 Belated bosses' day. Hillary, thank you. Thank you for regular. Hillary, that was so rude of you. Oh, yeah, I got about 10 o'clock in my email last night. Did you know what today was national bosses today? I was like, I did not. Dang.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Then I sent a note real quick. My bosses. As soon as you found out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hillary, everything going good? Yeah, everything's great. Yeah. Anything you'd like to say?
Starting point is 00:16:31 It was a good show today. Mm-hmm. I don't know what else to say. It was a pretty good show, huh? Yeah. What do you think about, Amy just texted me, happy belated National Bosses Day? Too late, Amy.
Starting point is 00:16:40 And Eddie, can I get the camera here? Yep. This is Amy's Bitmoji. Now that she texted me, I can now show it. Here. Pulled it up a little more. Like, pulled it out. There you go.
Starting point is 00:16:51 She looks good. Let me know when you can see it. It's literally, looks like a bald man, but it's Amy without. Hold it. It's going to go away soon. There we go. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:02 Very strange. I was like, why are you sending me a bit moji of Tully Savalas? Nice reference. Do you guys know Tully Savalas? Yeah, old dude. Yeah, old dude. Okay, Hillary. Anything else?
Starting point is 00:17:14 I'm good. Okay. Bob Kingsley passed away, who... I love that dude. Him and I first got to know each other. He had a countdown forever when I was a kid. I would listen to it. And when I got put in the nap,
Starting point is 00:17:26 National Radio Hall of Fame. He reached out and was like, hey, man, congratulations. He's also in the National Radio Hall of Fame. And every time he'd come to town, we would try to get together or see each other in some way. And it was cool for me because I listen to Bob Kingsley on the radio all the time. Like weekends, I just remember listening to that countdown. Him and Rick Dees and Casey, I'm with three countdowns that I would hear. Wow. It's a big one. And he was the big country countdown. And so it got to be friends of Bob Kingsley. And he announced last week he had cancer. And then I got all the notes that he passed away this morning. So, uh, love the dude great dude i put a picture up on my instagram of us at acm honors together and i know and you can see me just talking to him so happy to see him i just got a text from john party going hey super bummed about bob kingsley what a great guy so yeah a lot of people in the country music world are are bummed out because he was such a good dude so to his family and i'm sure they're not listening to this but man sympathies and just a lot of respect from me to to you guys the family and to bob obviously So, yeah, that's kind of bummer news this morning. I guess I don't want to go out on bummer news.
Starting point is 00:18:32 I'll say this, that, hey, Ramundo, what I hear, and you can tell me if this is true or not, that you're going on a trip this weekend? Yeah, going to Miami, baby. So, should we put the engagement alarm on? I think we actually should. I don't know. He just said yes, so that means, I mean, he's basically saying it's happening this weekend.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Yeah, I've been talking to the salespeople, stuff is in motion. I've already been chatting with some friends. seeing possible things, beaches, famous buildings, famous roads, stuff like that. Okay, none of that makes sense. I just hear words. However,
Starting point is 00:19:13 famous beaches and roads. And buildings. So, Miami has all the famous roads? Do you have the ring? Yeah, Ocean Avenue, bro. That's a California. Ocean Drive, then. They may have an Ocean Avenue, too,
Starting point is 00:19:29 but the one, the famous one is California. But go ahead. Yeah, so I don't have the, ring yet, but it could be here later today. It could be here tomorrow. I gave them all my specs, and they're doing the rest. Nice. And I have it. I have the measurements, the exact amount that I was able to pay, the company that we're going to go with. It is all ready to go. I'm just waiting on that email telling me that they're cool with my little payment plan I'm setting up. You know, I can't fork over the whole amount right up front. And they, with payment plans,
Starting point is 00:19:58 they make it pretty awesome. It's almost a Netflix membership a month. it's about it. How long? Twelve years. But dude, then you got a ring and that the process starts. You're engaged. True. I don't think they had that 20 years ago.
Starting point is 00:20:14 We're hoping that it goes well. We hope you get engaged. Thank you. If you feel like it's appropriate, find you a nice, famous building, let a rip. And the thing I'm worried about, man, you get on that airplane, TSA, you know, metal detector goes off.
Starting point is 00:20:27 You're trying to get on with a ring. Next thing you know, yeah, I got to propose at the airport because they ended up pulling it out. Next thing you know. Okay. Amy? Well, I go through metal detectors all the time and the ring doesn't go off, so I think you're good. Yeah, I never know. This might be a little bit bigger.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Oh. Oh. Oh, faller. Hey. Faller Wood? No, I know Amy's is really big. Fire. No.
Starting point is 00:20:48 It's really big. Sometimes she goes with the smaller version, though, so she doesn't wear the full rock. Sometimes her wrist is just tired. As the time Friday comes around, she's like, I didn't do about halfway this thing. This is so not true people that are listening. Oh, they're watching too. Oh, they're. Yeah, but it's not true.
Starting point is 00:21:00 Is that the small version? Yeah, it's a good one to show off. The other one who would blind the camera. Oh my gosh. You can't put a mirror into the light, the sun. Yeah. He'd be like, whoa. Amy's ring sometimes catches the light in here.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Blinding. Yeah, I, yeah, yeah. Okay. Blended by the light. Wrapped up like a douche. Another rumor in the night. Um, I think that's it. I think that's all I have today.
Starting point is 00:21:24 We're about to get to a Thursday show. It's a good one. You'll hear the draft today of most romantic movies, and we encourage you to go vote at bobbybones.com whenever you hear the draft that you like. Did you get any feedback from keeping this thing up in the front of the podcast? Very little. We've got a couple, but very little.
Starting point is 00:21:45 I would think if people, though, because here's how it works. If people want it to be changed, they go, change it. Oh, right. If people are just happy with it, they don't say much. So then I guess they're happy with it. Well, we'll see. And sometimes, you know, episodes don't get heard that exact day. It's true.
Starting point is 00:22:01 Also, check out the latest Bobbycast, Nick Claussen. Let me tell you, that guy, that mother's written a bunch of big songs. He's a bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shut your man. Jack Kha's written over 20 number one songs, a bunch of super famous songs. And he quiet guy, good interview guest, but so laid back and just friendly. And is married to Nicole Galleon, who wrote Tequila. And I asked him, what's her favorite song that you wrote? And then asked him what's his favorite song she wrote. It's a good little podcast. If you like country music, it's good.
Starting point is 00:22:32 That's it. Thank you very much. On tomorrow's show and tomorrow in general we will be selling our tie-dye pimping joy shirts, which you can see now if you're watching on Facebook. These shirts go up. We don't keep any of the money. It all goes to help folks. Which we had a lot of people asking so added baby onesies. Because I guess a lot of our listeners have babies.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Yes. That's awesome. And so just wanted to throw that out there that, you know, the tie-dye will be for the whole family. Cool. Boom. Boom. All right. Here's Thursday show.

Starting point is 00:27:16 Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. Well, well, well. Welcome to Thursday show. Morning. Morning. Glad everybody's here.
Starting point is 00:27:33 Let's go over and talk to Peter, who is listening. in Maine. Hey, Peter, what's happening? Thanks for calling the show. Hey, thank you for taking my call. I listen every morning. I work third shift, so I just got home, but it's a perfect way to end the day just between talk and music and I love you guys. Oh, thanks, man. I appreciate that. Most people hear us when they're just getting going into work, if live, or podcast in the afternoon, but you're catching on the way home before you crash. Yeah, I am. What kind of job you have you a cop? No, I actually
Starting point is 00:28:07 I work as a painter. Okay, I hear in the background. That's making a little call. Like, we need 22 dial out the batch three. But listen, we appreciate that, Peter. I've never been to Maine. I'm trying to get up there sometime. Oh, yeah, it's a beautiful state, especially in the fall.
Starting point is 00:28:22 But do you guys have any sort of seafood, though? Yeah, we do. We got fresh lobster. I'm there. Okay, okay. Perfect thing. All right, Peter. Appreciate that call, bud.
Starting point is 00:28:32 All right, thank you very much. All right. See you later. All right, it's time for a segment to see what's happening with everybody. We call it, What's the Haps? Hey! Hey! What's the Haps?
Starting point is 00:28:40 Amy, what's the Haps? Well, so shout out to the police again, which I'm outside with Stevenson, and we saw a policeman in our neighborhood, shocker kind of everywhere. But this one, like, came over, pulled over, got out, gave him a sticker, and then as we're talking, he kind of was like, wait a second. Like, are you, are you Amy from the Bobby Bone Show? And I was like, yeah. And then all of a sudden, he was like, hey, it's.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Stevenson, I think he kind of knew now his obsession with police. He's like, come on over. Let him sit in the cop car, turn on the sirens, turn on the lights, all kinds of things with the lights and the sirens going. Another cop car pulls up because they think something's like wrong and they're checking on their buddy. And then he realizes like, oh, okay, they're just, you know, hanging out with the kids and that cop guy goes on.
Starting point is 00:29:23 But I mean, Stevenson just thought it was like the coolest moment ever. And this police officer's name was Kevin. So shout out Kevin. Obviously you listen to the show. And just thanks for being super cool to Stevenson. I never got to play with the lights or... I'm an adult and I love the police. And then when we were walking back around the corner,
Starting point is 00:29:38 our neighbors were like, is everything okay? I mean, it caused like a... You know, everyone was like, what's happening? Yeah. But cool. Hey. Hey. What's the hatch? What's the Habs of you?
Starting point is 00:29:48 Today I have a three-hour photo shoot with Ronnie Dunn. Yes. Finally. We're going to do our cowboy photo shoot. Yay. Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn is a big-time photographer. And we're going to go shoot some photos today, cowboy photos and auction them off for St. Jude.
Starting point is 00:30:02 What world are you living? I know. He texts me all the time. What about this? What about this? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's pretty good. So I'm going to do that today. We blocked out three hours to do it. I can't, I mean. I asked him and I said, what about nudes?
Starting point is 00:30:14 He thought I was, I don't know if he thought I was serious or not. Oh, I'm sure he would have done it. Oh, you're sure he would have done it. Okay. Well, be careful. It could get that way. What do you mean? No, it couldn't. If these professional people are fine with it because it's art.
Starting point is 00:30:28 Stop it. Hey. What's the Haps? What's the Haps? I got to be the bad parent today because my kid, baby box goes in for his 15 month, 15 month update. And I guess he gets shots and they're due measurements. And he has to go get checked up. And of course, the wife has a meeting at that time.
Starting point is 00:30:45 So I got to take them in so he can get shots. Yeah. I bailed on shots last time too. Oh, yeah. It's awful. Yeah. Let us know. Let us know how like, oh, they hate you.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Oh, wow. Hey, they hate you. Hey, what's the hat? Eddie, what do you have over there? I was lounging around the house and I saw Bobby on TV the other day. on the Bear Grills promo. And it's, I don't know. To me, it just doesn't get old
Starting point is 00:31:06 when Bobby's on TV. I mean, he's either. I like it too. Well, yeah. It's just like, dude, that's my voice. It's on TV again. It's amazing.
Starting point is 00:31:13 They actually use my voice going, are you kidding? Yeah. Because I was scared. Yeah. The show starts in November. My episode airs in January running wild with Bear Grills.
Starting point is 00:31:21 So many people reached out to me like, I can't believe you're on Bear Grills. I know, man. It's pretty cool. Which is pretty cool. There you go. Is there a way? Can they track that we spike your ratings for that episode?
Starting point is 00:31:29 No. Oh, not really. You just hope they're good. All right, that's what's up. Thank you guys. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Well, it's time to draft. Ooh.
Starting point is 00:31:40 Nothing else to do but pick the teams. Hey, so there is a belt for the winner. The first person to hit 10 wins, there is a wrestling world championship draft belt. And so you can win it. First one to 10 in the studio gets to wear the belt. That being said, today, we are drafting best romantic movies. Anything false.
Starting point is 00:32:00 Best romantic comedies, pure romance, anything you think is romantic that other people don't, like Marley and me. That's a good one. Loves a dog. We will not judge you. The listeners will vote at bobbybones.com. With the first pick today in the romantic movie draft, he runs the board, he sits in the glass room. People compare him to Joey from Friends. It is Ramundo.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Hi, Ramundo. What up, I got it. It's very simple. The best romantic love story ever. The Notebook. It's the best one. Yeah. That's the best one.
Starting point is 00:32:33 And when you said yesterday, you were doing We Got Mail or whatever that is, I was like, well, he's going to lose. Who convinced you? Well, I mean, obviously my girlfriend's watched a lot of these movies, and she goes, you remember the notebook? And I said, yeah. And she goes, well, go number one with that. That's the best one ever. It's great advice from her. It is.
Starting point is 00:32:49 I read the book in a day. Watch the movie five times. It's going to be hard to lose with that one, Raymundo. Okay, I'm up next. I'm marking off the notebook. I mean, there's a big one. I'm just going to have to go Pretty Woman.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Smooth. Love it. Thank you very much. Oh my gosh, you just won my vote. Thank you very much. I got to endorse it. Yeah, it's tough. I felt like the notebook is head and shoulders
Starting point is 00:33:29 above everything else, but Pretty Woman, I think, was the next one up. Lunchbox? You left this one on. I thought this was the obvious one and second best one out there. I'm taking Titanic. Yeah, I have it on my list.
Starting point is 00:33:40 Titanic. Just feel like that. That one didn't like romance me enough. Like it was more of a history story. Oh, no, that was romance. Jack and Rose find love on the boat. Eddie? And you guys took all my stuff.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Let me see. All of them. Obviously those were going to be the first three. Those were my big ones for sure. Okay. I'm, I guess I'm just going to have to go whatever you guys missed out on.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I'm going to go with you've got mail. Ray Mundo is laughing so hard right now. You've got mail. That's the one. Okay. Mm-hmm. The movie's 20 years old. And I don't even think that year it was even the most popular one.
Starting point is 00:34:16 It's like it's way older than the same. I mean, mine is that old too and lunchbox is that old too. They're all 90s movies, right? Correct. It's 20 years is, it was, when was you got male? 80s? No, no, no, no, no. They didn't have email in the 80s.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Oh, yeah. And it just started. Morgan number two, I saw you last night on your Instagram story, taking submissions from listeners about what movie you should take. Yeah. Go ahead. And this is one of the first Nicholas Sparks movies and I got to go with it. Walk to Remember.
Starting point is 00:34:44 Dang it. That's a good one. Mandy Moore? Yep. Yeah. Okay. First round picks. Ramundo with the Nobook.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Bobby with Pretty Woman. Lunchbox with Titanic. Eddie with You Got Mail. And Morgan number two with a walk to remember. Now, we'll start the second round and we go backward this time. Morgan number two, you have the first pick. Go ahead. I'm going to stick with this one.
Starting point is 00:35:11 It's my favorite movie of all time. Sweet Home Alabama. Pretty good. Pretty good. Oh, I love that. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Eddie? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so my first one was mediocre. 1998, you've got mail. Thank you. But this is a strong one. Hugh Grant falls in love with a super famous actress, brings her home. And the family's like, oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:35:36 That's it. You're Julia Roberts. Not in Hill, baby. That's a great one. So good. I was hoping it would make me, but it didn't make it to me. Yeah. That's a good one.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Dang. Lunchbox. You have Titanic. What else do you have over there? Oh, yeah. This is a love story. And in this story, they like to dance. Dirty dancing.
Starting point is 00:35:57 It's a good one. That is a good one. Yeah, that's good. Let me mark it off my list. Thanks for that one. I was going to jump on that one if you didn't. Now, it's over to me. I love 500 days of summer, right?
Starting point is 00:36:15 I just love it. It's one of my favorite movies ever. I just love it. I just love it. I just love it. I don't know if I can pick it this early, though. I may have to wait until the third round. I mean, it's so good, though.
Starting point is 00:36:31 That's my struggle right now. I'm going to go with... Gotta follow your heart, man. I know. Or a Brokeback Mountain? Oh, follow your heart. Or The Little Mermaid. Oh, that's a good one.
Starting point is 00:36:50 No, no, no, no. What's that? Okay, I pick ghost. Ghost. Oh, yes. The pottery scene? So good. I pick ghost.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Ramundo You don't like that Morgan number two I've never seen it Oh it's so good It's a good movie See I always get hated on my draft If you're listening right now See take no
Starting point is 00:37:07 haters over there Always hating on me Morgan number two I think she's all good at the draft Hey you always hate on me too It's back and forth Eddie almost made you take a little mermaid No that's a good one though
Starting point is 00:37:17 Have you seen it? I haven't seen a little mermaid I would not categorize it as a romance But it can be anything I know It's not a romance It is Next pick
Starting point is 00:37:25 Yeah I can't screw this up I got the no I'm going with Hope Floats. Ooh, that's good. Good one I even think about. Wow. Sandra Bullock. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Make you feel my love. Garthew in that version. Yeah, he's a Harry Connick Jr. Yes. Oh, that's so good. Ramundo, you have one final pick. It's the third round. You have the first pick of the third round.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Go ahead. Yeah, this one's for the millennials. All those people like Coachella. A star is born. Bradley Cooper. That's a good one, too. I don't even think about that one. Coachella.
Starting point is 00:37:58 This dude, I think Raymuno's got a solid, solid leg up in this draft. A Star is Born, great pick. I just thought, because didn't Bradley Cooper get divorced or broken up because of the movie? That's how powerful it is. You've got to go with it. Wow. I don't know if anything, any of that was confirmed. Yeah, I don't either, but still a good pick.
Starting point is 00:38:19 Dang. That hurt. I'm going to go with 10 things I hate about you. Dang it. Okay. I feel like that's a good, strong, fun. one. It's fun, yes. Yeah, like, he gets up in the press box and he's like, you're just too good to be true. And he's like, what's happening up there? And then, I love you, baby. That's a good thing.
Starting point is 00:38:40 We ever seen that Morgan number two? Yes. Yeah. Oh, that's a good one. If you hadn't seen that one. You were going to get fired from the show. Okay, lunchbox, go ahead. Romantic movie. Man, I don't know if I should play it safe or go way out in left field for a rom-com, but I'm going to play it a little safer. One that I think is great. And when I say this, it completes my team, just like she completes him. Jerry McGuire. Oh. I didn't think about Jerry McGuire. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:06 A lot of these I didn't think. I feel dumb because I didn't think about them. You complete me. I'm proud of you for thinking a pretty woman. Well, that was a pretty easy. Yeah, it was a pretty easy. And again, when I think of girls, I think of what you and Morgan number two would like since that was your jam, that I put it up. Although last time I did your jam, I lost.
Starting point is 00:39:22 What was my jam that you did last time? It's something to do with George Strait. I don't remember. Eddie? Okay, here we go. If you know me, I love those black and white movies. Oh my gosh, no. You're just lost.
Starting point is 00:39:34 You're just lost. Eddie, you're going to lose anyway. But if you pick Casablanca or Gone with the Wind, you're just lost. Pack your bag. Go ahead. I mean, I love these movies. And one of my favorites while I'm packing my bag is Casablanca.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Humphrey Bogart. Eddie lost. He's looking at you, kid. Eddie lost. Why? What do you mean? The people vote. And they love that movie.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I've never watched that movie. Who in the room is, I'm sure it's a great movie. Oh yeah, yeah, sure. Show of hands. Who has seen Casa Blanca? Go, raise your hand. Ray? No, movie Mike.
Starting point is 00:40:06 Mike D saw it? Mike D. Eddie, have you ever seen it? Eddie, have you seen it? Of course, like 10 times. Ten times? You know you're my dude, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Wait, what's your team, Eddie? 1942. Eddie picked. Yeah. Hey, a classic's a classic. Okay. Morgan number two? This one's probably a sleeper, but I got to pick it because it's so good.
Starting point is 00:40:32 P.S. I love you. I don't know what that is. It's one of the most romantic movies out there. Is that where she dies and leaves letters? He dies. Is that spoiler? No, it's how it starts. And it's so old.
Starting point is 00:40:46 And yeah, romantic, yes. Yeah. Yeah. But also, really sad. Okay, let me read these here and I'll give you something that I didn't pick. So, Ramundo has the notebook, hope floats, and a star is born. Wow. Wow.
Starting point is 00:41:03 I'm going to watch all of those right now. How do you feel about that draft team, Ramundo? Really good. I knew I was fine with the notebook, so my goal was just to not screw it up. Yeah. That star was born pick is a great third round pick, man. It's new? New, yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:16 Eddie went with Casablanca his third round and you went to star is born. I thought he was thinking maybe the original Titanic he was going to do or something. The boat. He literally was going to be like the real life. Love story. I have Pretty Woman, Ghost, and Ten Things I Hate About You. Lunchbox has Titanic, Dirty Dancing, and Jerry Maguire. Eddie has you got male, Notting Hill, and Casablanca.
Starting point is 00:41:36 Come on. Morgan number two has a walk to remember, Sweet Home Alabama, and P.S. I love you. Eddie, you had a chance. I did? You did. Guys, I still have a chance. You got male in the first round. Okay.
Starting point is 00:41:48 I still have a chance, guys. Notting Hill. Yeah, Notting Hill was a thing. I would have taken Notting Hill if it was there. You should have done first time. Everyone listening right now is like, oh my gosh, Eddie's picks are the best. Okay, cool. Hey, so go vote at Bobbybones.com.
Starting point is 00:42:00 Everybody that would vote for Casablanca probably does it. It's like my dad who doesn't have a computer. The people voting for Casablanca have their Vic Trit, what do you call it, a Vachola on, listening to the show? Guys, we have the internet too. I didn't pick La La Land, which I loved. I didn't think enough people had seen it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:19 40-year-old Virgin was one, but I thought people would line it up as a comedy more than a romantic movie. Silver Linings playbook was great at that. 500 days of summer one of my favorite, my favorite movie of the whole list. I'm shocked you didn't do that.
Starting point is 00:42:33 I'm a sellout. Sell out. Yeah, I'm a sellout. Bridesmaids. That's comedy. I mean, it's a romantic, yeah. The one I was sitting on that if I could have gotten
Starting point is 00:42:44 the notebook in the first round I felt confident in my first two picks, I was going to go a little wild card and take this movie because at the beginning it's such a love story and it makes you cry a little bit is up. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:56 But I didn't have, I didn't get the notebook, so, but up was a good one. I didn't pick two. All right, there you go. Starting point is 00:46:43 with more than 60 million Americans facing heavy wind and heavy rain. Hundreds of thousands of power customers were cut off. And finally, the Chicago teachers are going to strike today after failing to agree on how much they should get paid. A lot of schools are canceled classes today. Make sure you check. Okay, here you go. What song went number one in 1974?
Starting point is 00:47:05 Went number one again in 1982. And then went number one again in 1992. So you have a song. Oh, wow. And went number one three times. 1974, 1988, 1982, and 1982, and 1992. That's, I will always love you. There you go.
Starting point is 00:47:30 This song reached number one, June, 1974, as it just came out. It was just a song Dolly Parton put out. Massive song, right? Eight years later, Dolly re-recorded a new version for Best Little Horhouse in Texas with Dolly Parton and Bert Reynolds. So then the movie comes out. The song goes number one again because it's in the movie. She re-recorded. And then it goes number one, a third time in 1992 because...
Starting point is 00:47:52 Bodyguard. Yeah, Whitney Houston sang it. Yeah. Dolly Parton said that she didn't hear Whitney Houston. version until one day she was driving home and it came on the radio and dolly talked about that on our show right here i sent it and i hadn't heard anything more about it until i heard it driving from my office to my house in brintwood i just heard whitney saying if i did the acapella part and it was just it wasn't ringing trath i thought what that's weird and it was only when she went into the course of it
Starting point is 00:48:26 that i will always love it that i realized what i was listening to and it was so overwhelmed and i almost rigged. I just pulled off just the greatness and the bigness and the fact that that was my song and it was just so out of nowhere. And you can hear Dolly's all her bracelets that day. I remember she was braceleted up too and you hear what you can cling. So that song went number one three times and that's it today in country music. Today in 1982 is when I went number one for the second time. But I thought that's a fun story to tell. Love it. Yeah. I mean, and then Dolly just had her 50th anniversary at the Opry, which is crazy. I did a whole interview with ABC about them for a special that runs a night before the CMAs.
Starting point is 00:49:00 And they're like, what is it about Dolly? And I said, you know, there are about three people that are walking the room and just go, in a good way, suck all the get out of the room that makes you just feel like, oh, they own this place. Dolly's one of them. Who's the other, two? Reba.
Starting point is 00:49:13 Boom. One more. Garth. Yeah. Those three, when they come in, you go, oh, this is why they're so famous and awesome. They didn't have to sing. They just demand the room in a very positive way. So, yeah. Anyway, I thought that was a fun little moment history for us.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Yeah. On this day and country music, there you go. Amy, if you're going to buy a house and you find out that somebody had been killed there, would you still buy the house? I would have a hard time with it. This happened to one of my really, really good friends. I think they bought it, too, but they didn't find out until after the fact. Okay. Or like they were in closing, you know, and that's probably, they could have gotten all their money back because it wasn't disclosed to them.
Starting point is 00:49:50 I think it was maybe even a murder suicide. Ooh. Thanks. Like for sure, if some place is going to be haunted, that's the place. Yeah. Okay. So, murder. What if somebody just died in there?
Starting point is 00:50:01 Oh, like, just of natural causes? I'm fine with that. I mean, to be honest, my mom died in my sister's house and she sold it. I wonder if she disclosed it. Interesting. I wonder if you have to disclose a simple death, though. But a murder probably,
Starting point is 00:50:18 what about a home that's for sale of a serial killer? Oh. And he did no killing in there. I'll tell you why the story came up. Oh, just give me the, I don't want to. think about a serial killer every day when I walk into my house. I mean, I'm sure eventually you get over it. But like, and then is he locked away for sure, for sure, for good?
Starting point is 00:50:34 So, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think he's dead, huh? Oh, okay. The home of famous serial killer, John Wayne Gacy is up for sale. They found a bunch of bodies there. Oh, no, no, no. No, no. They need to burn it.
Starting point is 00:50:46 In the 70s. Burn it. It was eventually bulldozed. Yeah. A new home was built years later. But where this is, the same site is up for sale, $459,000. Now, if it's $50,000 cheaper because of this, would you entertain the option? I don't want to live there.
Starting point is 00:51:06 I don't think it's haunted or anything, but I personally don't want. It just seems heavy to me to have all of that that went down in that spot. And I don't want that heaviness in my mind on any given day. The home is up for sale for $459,000. The seller does not have to disclose what happened at the property because it wasn't the househouse. They rebuilt the house, but just on the property. And hasn't. So would you be able to live there?
Starting point is 00:51:32 Everybody's got a price, right? I just think if it came down a certain amount and it was such a deal, I would at least consider it. I would say no right now. My answer is no, but I don't think I could be completely truthful going. I would consider it for any amount of money. Because again, if it's $200, if it's a half price, if it's like Bogo, you buy one, get one. And that's the house is one of them. You probably jump in on that.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Yeah, yeah. You don't think so? I don't know. That's a lot. That's like watching Ted Bundy tapes on Netflix like every day. You can only take so much of that. Every time you walk in your house, you'd be thinking of like deaths like that. Yeah, it'd be tough.
Starting point is 00:52:09 It'd be hard. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. Florida Georgia Lines, Brian Kelly is one of the producers on a country musical called May We All. Last night at the CMT Artist of the Year event, Kane Brown dedicated his award to his drummer Kenny Dixon, who just recently passed away. His speeches up at Bobby Bones.com. And Morgan number two, that's your skinny.
Starting point is 00:53:09 Bobby, phone, shut. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Boy, this one here. Two Utah firefighters went well above and beyond to calm an anxious little girl who had just gotten out of a car collision.
Starting point is 00:53:27 After noticing the child was holding bottles of fingernail polish, Chief Hadley and Captain Lloyd started talking to her about her polish and asked, because she was so scared, if she would paint their nails. So she went from freaking out about the car wreck to actually being able to focus on something else which was painting the firefighter's nails. Within minutes, she was calm,
Starting point is 00:53:51 had almost forgotten completely about the accident that she was just in and a shout out to those firefighters. Not even saving fires, but still doing something awesome. Yeah. It's a good story. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:54:04 Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Story up the day. This story comes with us from Iowa City, Iowa. A 20-year-old man was trying to get into a bar. He was underage, so he's like, let me bust out my fake ID. So he pulls out his fake ID, and his ID says,
Starting point is 00:54:20 McLevin, Hawaii. From the movie. From the movie. And police came up, and he was like, yeah, yeah, this is me. It's obviously something he bought off Amazon. Oh, my gosh. What movie is that? Super bad.
Starting point is 00:54:32 Super bad. It's so funny. It was so good back in the day. And, hey, Morgan, number two, you're 26. Was Super Bad ever part of your life? No, I mean, I think I maybe watched it once. She just missed the cutoff of all of those old school, super bad, even 40-year-old virgin. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:57:11 I got a girl. Name Sheila. Yeah, that made me nervous because I'm like, what? Rita. Hey, high five, Eddie. No, get away from it. Good wavelength. All right. Y'all are out. It's just me and you. Me against the champ.

Starting point is 01:02:24 Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, No dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis.
Starting point is 01:03:04 That's get sunday.com. You can always reach out to us. us call or mailbag, and let's open the mailbag right now. Bobby's Mailbag. Hey Bobby, I could use your advice. My boyfriend of three years and I just got engaged. However, after our engagement, the discussion of last names came up. I told him I did not want to change my last name after we got married.
Starting point is 01:03:31 I like my name. I like the lineage connection to my family of birth. I like that my friends, colleagues, school, professional networks, all know who I am now and in the future. my husband took offense he is still very hurt and doesn't get it I wanted to know if he had any advice on how I could talk to him about it maybe reach a compromise from KCL all right well if it's that important to you at least you're not married yet still have time to talk about it yes you can actually go
Starting point is 01:04:02 hey I don't want to change my name I know you want me to change my name what's to give here do you hyphenate it do you just go by your name now but change your name legally to his name? So professionally are your name. You can, sure. Yeah. Because I think you have to factor in if you plan on having children. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:04:23 Because then it's like what's the last name to the children take? Because that can be confusing and you want to have like that family bond just lives on. So yeah, if they're hyphenated or they take one of the two last names, you got to know. Maybe reach a compromise question. Amy, would your husband have compromised with you? At the age we were when we got married, probably not. It probably would have been a really, really, really big deal for me to say I wasn't going to take his last name.
Starting point is 01:04:50 And honestly, I wouldn't have at that time. And I still, I love that I have my husband's last name. That's just, I'm still of that. I like certain traditions. I get that some traditions are not bad, or that are bad. We just kind of can let those go just because the tradition doesn't mean we should do it. But I like it. But yeah, he probably had been like, nope, I guess we're not going to get married.
Starting point is 01:05:10 I think so I mean I just I think now we're in a more mature place that it wouldn't have been that big of an issue but when we were younger gosh like little things like that big deal
Starting point is 01:05:22 I'm not a big believer I've said this before that if the woman doesn't want to take the last name she has to I mean I think the woman is just important as a man is in the relationship and it's a dumb tradition that the guy gets to dominate
Starting point is 01:05:33 for no reason other than that's just how it's been done for so long so I don't care if I ever get married if she keeps her last name, wants to change it, all good with me, whatever she wants to do. I do think it is kind of a caveman tradition that the woman just has to change her name because women are lesser. That's what had been for generations and generations.
Starting point is 01:05:51 And we still do that today. And for no reason other than it's just always done that way. A bit progressive in my thought. I know. But as the show's leading feminist, I just, if you don't want to change your name, don't change your name. I'm glad there's one of you. Yeah, you don't have to change your. I would say in the end you probably, if it's that important to you and it's that important to him,
Starting point is 01:06:14 you have to hyphenate it. If it's that important to both of you. Yeah. Or you could trade things out. I'm a big believer in the trade too. Like I'll give you your last name, but I get to name the first kid after my grandmother. Ooh. Like I'm a big believer in compromise in any way.
Starting point is 01:06:29 There's always a way to get in a situation. Yeah. So a lot of times in life it's like black or white, that's it. It doesn't have to be. Mm-hmm. Yeah. And I'll say you can also move your maiden name to be your middle name. So that way you still have it in your name. Like if when it comes out on your license, it's still there and you're still proud to have it as part of your name.
Starting point is 01:06:49 I mean, it could be your middle name and you could use that as your professional name. Yes. So there are a lot of ways. My answer to, reach a compromise, you can compromise. He has to be able to give a little bit. And I'm sure you'll give a little bit. And I think that's where you can land. Lunchbox your thoughts? He gave you a ring. So you give him the honor of taking his life. When you get married, you are saying, I accept all of you, including your last name. The man's last name is the way it's supposed to be.
Starting point is 01:07:14 If not, then don't get married. Why is it supposed to be that way? Like, what's the actual origin of taking a man's last name? I have no idea. I don't know the history. I could, you know, do a book report, but look. Oh, a book report. It's a bad idea.
Starting point is 01:07:27 You get personal pan pizza afterward. Here's the thing. When you say, I do, you got to take, you have to be proud of who you're marrying. And if you go to work and you keep your last name Smith, everybody's going to be like, you're not proud to be with your husband. I mean, you've got to show off that last name. Like, I got married and look what I got. I got me a husband.
Starting point is 01:07:45 Well, I would think that your worth is not based on another person marrying you. But for me, you want to keep your last name? Keep it. You're committed. We're committed. Just compromise here. That's all. Communicate.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Find a spot. Trade in the last name for the baby name. There's a lot of ideas here. I kind of like that angle. Yeah, always way out. Yeah. All right. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 01:08:07 And that's the mailbag, everyone. Thank you. And that was Bobby's mailbag. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So do you keep a weapon by your bed just in case you hear breaking? Yeah, I have a gun. I don't want to say where. I have a couple guns.
Starting point is 01:08:25 But yes. Yes. Yeah. 39% of us keep a, quote, weapon or item near the bed in case, you know, something goes down. And I thought, man, I thought it would be higher than that. Oh, I thought that was a bit high. Oh, really? Maybe just guns.
Starting point is 01:08:41 Maybe I'm just thinking guns. Do you have a weapon? Yes. Do you want to say what? Well, I have African spear. That'll get them. Can you imagine how long it'll take to pick that thing up, load it? No, I practiced.
Starting point is 01:08:52 I know all. I mean, put it above your head so you can run it. I know how to charge and I will. The last thing you want to do is go near somebody coming into your house. Well, that's also why I keep was three. I don't have to get near you. I just spray it and it goes right in your eyeballs. Like a hornet spray?
Starting point is 01:09:09 You can shoot up a. 100 yards, right. That's like the easiest thing you can keep by your bed. And as much as my husband used to be deployed, like, all the time, I had that, and then my switch blade is nearby, too. And that you've got to get real close. Yeah. Amy's like, I got a blade from my fingernail that I go up and cut them with. You got to get too close to people for that stuff.
Starting point is 01:09:27 Yeah, and then I know how to shoot you, too, but I just rather not. Any weapons, lunchbox around your bed? Nope. Eddie? Baseball bat. Oh, you do? Morgan number two? Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 01:09:36 Okay. So, one, two, 80 percent in this room. There we go. We're all scared. All right, what else? So a grease spin-off is coming to HBO Max. If you have that, I'm still on my HBO trial. No, HBO Go is what I have.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Which, again, they're transitioning, right? Mike. It's coming to HBO Max, which doesn't exist yet. So. I can't keep up with all these new TV things. Mike Dina had a whole talk about this on the Bobbycast. It's too much right now. It is.
Starting point is 01:10:04 And then they trick you because you feel like you're not spending that much money, but then you're buying all these extra little things that adds up. But still, cable is so much. Okay, yeah, true. So anyway, it's a grease spinoff, and it's called Rydell High. Oh, cool. And hopefully it's like either 50s or 90s. Those are my two favorite time periods.
Starting point is 01:10:22 The 50s and the 90s. It's set in the 50s. Good, good, yeah, yeah. And then police are urging parents to check Halloween candy after THC-laced candy called Nerds Rope. Those are edibles or found. And like, they're serious about this. Okay, stop. No one's trying to hit kids with it.
Starting point is 01:10:38 someone could accidentally put their supply into a bag, but that could be anything. They found one nerds rope, and now they're like, everybody, check your kids, check for razor blaze, check for, yeah. You never can be too safe
Starting point is 01:10:50 because the last thing you want is your... Dots are full of crack. Don't eat dots. If my kid ate edible, it would be... Awesome. I mean, not funny. Right, right. No, it would be awful.
Starting point is 01:10:59 It would be so awful. I didn't mean awesome. I meant awful. Yeah, I just... Yeah, yeah. Okay, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of story.
Starting point is 01:11:08 It's time for the good news With lunchbox Tell me something good 12 years ago This woman Catherine had a dog named Duchess She loved the little two-year-old puppy When her son left the front door open And Duchess ran away
Starting point is 01:11:23 And she was like, I got to find this dog Kept looking 12 years later She's still paying for the little microchip tracker And someone found the dog in Toronto, Canada Under a Shed 12 years later, still alive All the way from Florida to Toronto You got to think, well, first of all, 12 years is just a nutty amount of time for a dog to stay alive, period.
Starting point is 01:11:44 Yeah. Depending on the breed. Secondly, somebody had to take that dog in for a while, right? It doesn't survive in a while for 12 years. Right. Someone probably moved to Toronto with the dog and then dog got out again. Oh, that's good. I was thinking it just hitched a ride on a truck, but it does make more sense of the family.
Starting point is 01:12:01 It had one of those little sticks with a bag on the end of it. And then how did it get across the border? Oh, yeah. Unless you have your pass for it. Oh, that's true. Oh, yeah. Good for her. She found her dog.
Starting point is 01:12:12 And they're sure it's a dog, huh? It's a dog because she had been paying $15 a year for the microchip. And it still works. She was like, I couldn't give up hope. And $15 a year was worth it. Eventually, those microchips too are going to be full GPS. Because I can do a thing with you, Amy, where it's like show your location. And I can see where you are all the time.
Starting point is 01:12:31 Right. Eventually, that GPS is going to be a microch chip in. Because they have it on the collar you can do now. but eventually it's going to be the one inside of it. It's just got to stay powered up somehow. Yeah. Maybe just charge your dog. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:12:45 Put your paw in the charger. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Let's go. Transmit.
Starting point is 01:13:03 We have 90 seconds on the clock. Can we figure out Amy's Morning Corny? It's Thursday, so it's the investigative corny. A morning corny. What treat do I, doctors give out on Halloween? What treat do eye doctors give out on Halloween? Let it start now.
Starting point is 01:13:25 Pupil, retina. C. C. Vision. Treat. What treat? Candy. Candy.
Starting point is 01:13:34 Cony. Condias. I mean, dude. Dude. Candy corneous. That's it. Okay. Are we going with candy corneous?
Starting point is 01:13:42 Yeah. Okay. Rammondo hit that for me. Morning corny. What treat do I, doctors? give out on Halloween. What treat do eye doctors give out on Halloween? Candy corneas.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Boom! Is that record time? I don't know. It's pretty fast. That might be record time. I even thought this might be like they don't get. Wow. Hey.
Starting point is 01:14:06 I'm impressed. Don't doubt me. Somebody's quiz bowl champ. We just talk it through. You start saying words after a live box. I think you're the only one that sets up. It doesn't matter. We live as a team.
Starting point is 01:14:17 We die as a team. That's right. That's true. All right, hey, take us home. That's why we say, clear eyes. Full hearts Can't Lose There we go
Starting point is 01:14:27 Except for sometimes Y'all lose Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa No, but we don't reflect on that Oh, sorry, just kidding. We don't remember those days. We remember, but we learn from them and we move on.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Yes. Yeah, that's it. Can't lose is a mindset. Right, thank you. Hater. All right. Well, sorry, y'all got my joke. I think my goal is to stump y'all. Okay, well, ours is just to have a good time.
Starting point is 01:14:48 I don't know about yours. Tomorrow morning, 9.30, 8.30 Central, our tie-dye pimping joy shirts, they are on sale. We don't keep any of the money. It goes to wonderful causes. You know, in the past couple of years, things like building homes for heroes. We've built two, one for Captain Nelson, one for Army Specialist, Scotty West. And what's happened is you guys come in, you buy the shirts, they spread a wonderful message. And then the money goes to actually just help people. We don't keep any of the money.
Starting point is 01:15:16 So tomorrow, 9.38.30 Central, there's a limited amount of tie-dye pimping joy shirts on. And if you're watching the show right now, you can see I'm wearing mine, Amy's wearing hers. So if you want to watch the show, go to YouTube.com slash Bobby Bone Show. And the show's up, cameras are up, you can watch as we all roll along here too. All right, you have chosen as the next segment we do to be about my coffee date yesterday. Yes. Okay, go ahead. What would you like to know?
Starting point is 01:15:42 Well, you did go on it, right? Why do you ask? Well, because I was at a coffee shop and a girl got stood up. and it was like she was pretty cute. Like, but through overhearing the situation, I realized like she was supposed to meet somebody. They never came. And I thought, oh, my goodness, is this Bobby's date?
Starting point is 01:16:05 Is this Bobby's date? And he just stood her up, like got cold feet or something. First of all, is that my personality? Definitely not. That's why ultimately I knew that it wasn't your date. Did you get her Instagram name? No. Oh, I should have, though.
Starting point is 01:16:19 Oh, no. Oh, no. What if that's how, oh, and we get like $500 or something if we find you a date. Oh, don't get me start on that because Ray Mundo has, he said, this, before we get to the coffee date, let me say this. I said something a couple weeks ago. I said, hey, there's a bounty out. Yeah. If you find someone that I go on three dates with them, the bounty is $500.
Starting point is 01:16:38 Now, if I get two dates, I'm not kind of feeling it. I won't do it because I want to pay the money. However, if I really want to go out again, I'll happily do it. Because three dates, you're starting to go, all right, this could be something. Oh, my gosh, I wonder if I could find this girl. Well, Raimundo found somebody. Do you guys want to hear about that later? Yes.
Starting point is 01:16:53 Oh, boy. Or do you want to take it to the post show? We can do it on the real show. We can do the real show. Later. Later. Later. I forgot about the bounty.
Starting point is 01:17:02 Otherwise, I would have swooped in. I would have swooped in and been like, oh, I'm sorry, you have a broken heart right now. But in the spirit of pimping joy did pay for her coffee. But she doesn't know that. Maybe she's listening. Oh, wait. So she was by herself. So you said, I'll take.
Starting point is 01:17:19 She got stood up, so we were like, man, should we, like, take care of her? She ended up having coffee and eating alone, so we ended up, like, taking care of it. Because it was like a sit-down, like coffee place. It wasn't like you pay at the bar. Who were you with? My dad. Oh, cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:17:33 Oh, well, lucky you guys. Okay, I did go. I did show up. And on time. Okay. And how was it? Well, it was quick. I got about 30 minutes.
Starting point is 01:17:42 That was the parameters from beginning to end. What? What? Okay. We both had stuff to do. What in the world did you all talk about? Not a lot. High.
Starting point is 01:17:50 30 minutes is enough time. Enough for what? To see if you want to go on a real date. Okay. Y'all had 30. Wow, wow, wow. Did you like that she only had 30 minutes? Did that turn you on?
Starting point is 01:18:05 She was busy. And then now... Both of us were pretty busy. And I had... In my calendar, I did have... I had about 45 minutes, and I think she had around that too. And I was like, cool, let's go and walked in. The weirdest thing about meeting somebody at a coffee shop,
Starting point is 01:18:20 friend that you don't really know that well or a date, is you have to go stand in line and get the copy together. So it's a weird standing there. Like, you just stand there and wait to get. That's just a whole weird situation. But it was pretty good. It went in. It was packed.
Starting point is 01:18:36 Who knew? And then put her bags down and it was good. Well, so, I mean, in the 30 minutes, did you determine whether or not you would like to spend an hour with her at some point? Good question. Yeah, I think probably so. I mean, it was quick, but I would say yes. I would go on a real date.
Starting point is 01:18:56 Yes. Okay. Because I had a list of questions because I read this article that how there's certain things you should communicate about or discuss, like when you're on a date with somebody. But not, I mean, I was going to see if y'all talked about these things. But like, clearly you didn't because you had. 30 minutes is a lot of time. I'll say this, too, that I felt like I was doing a lot of the asking the questions on the- Which is good.
Starting point is 01:19:17 Probably 90% of it. So I don't know if she just wasn't feeling me. Or if I, I just walk into a place and go, well, I'm going to treat this like an interview and just ask questions. Because the last, Morgan number two won on the date recently and the dude talking about himself the whole time. Yeah. It's you're better off to ask questions and listen. So I'm just like hammering with questions. I'm just a curious person anyway.
Starting point is 01:19:39 Yeah. All that stuff. What's your family like? Where'd you grow up? What was school? Why are you doing this now? Yeah, not a ton of school, but a little bit of school. about. But yeah, so I did a lot of questions. Probably 23 minutes of 30 with me. I said questions.
Starting point is 01:19:51 You didn't say like, so how do you prefer to communicate? Mm-mm. Okay. What about... Are these questions? These are questions that should be discussed if you're on a date, okay? So you're going to ask me these questions. Yes. Go ahead. So how do you prefer to communicate? Text. Okay. Is that an answer? Yes. Oh. Yeah. Text and FaceTime. That's what you do. And then occasionally in person. Go ahead. So regardless of your actual age, I mean, do you consider yourself an adult?
Starting point is 01:20:19 Ooh, good question, date. I would say in some ways I had to grow up and be an adult at like age 11. Because about 11, I had to start taking care of myself, food, school clothes. However, there are parts of me that I would say still 11, like 11 or 12. So parts of me had to grow up really quick because I didn't have the greatest upbringing. But parts of me are still very Peter Pan. Yeah, but you're responsible. Oh, super responsible.
Starting point is 01:20:51 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put gas in your car. All that, you adult. Okay, see, I just feel like with that one question, I learned so much about you. Thank you, date. What else? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:59 So what piece of advice would you give your younger self? Date. Great question, date. I would say to my younger self that nothing worth having will come easy to you at all. Like anything that is substantial that you are going to do for others or achieve is going to be really hard.
Starting point is 01:21:23 And that's the stuff that's worth it. Like nothing is easy that is awesome. So, and to remember that, because sometimes you're just going to be like, why can't I get something easy? That's not how it works. Yeah. Because anything that comes to you quick
Starting point is 01:21:37 is going to be taken away quick too. So that's it. You got to work hard for everything, but it's so worth it when you get it. Take that. I'm so motivated on my date. Yeah. Which being to motivation, if you had to name your greatest motivation in life, what would it be?
Starting point is 01:21:53 My greatest motivation. Probably to help others that went through similar circumstances and come from similar situations as myself. So I think that's probably my greatest motivation. And also to get a girlfriend. One, two. Cool. Well. This has been a good date.
Starting point is 01:22:12 Time's up. Maybe after this, you might get a girlfriend. I'd like to go out again. Yeah, I'm not feeling it so much. You all still role playing right now? Yeah. Just checking. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:25 I mean, people take note. Those are questions that should be discussed if you're considering like entering a relationship with somebody. Thank you for the questions. I appreciate that. It was good. It was good yesterday. So you, the vibe is, when are we going to know?
Starting point is 01:22:43 I don't know. Okay. What do you want to know? When's the next date? Have you all communicated since you left your 30 minute date? Like nothing like last night before bed like, hey, great, hanging out with you today? Okay, you're not into it. Why would I do that?
Starting point is 01:22:56 Because. The day of a day. Because I was so busy. The day of a date to follow up and say you had a good time. What? Why would you do that? Why would I do that? Guys, why would he do that?
Starting point is 01:23:08 No, no, no. The day of what I hit her up and be like, that was a great date. You know, I didn't say you had to say that. Relax, let's talk to Morgan number two is also dating and single. If you had a good time on a coffee date with a guy and before bed, he hit you up. Before bed? Or whatever. Because you're so busy.
Starting point is 01:23:25 Go ahead. Everyone stop talking. She's kind of like a dude. Hey, stop talking. Ask Morgan number two. All you married people that have been married for 10 years. Go ahead, Morgan number two. Well, I'm not like a dude.
Starting point is 01:23:37 Kind of. And yes, I would appreciate a text if you had a good time with me. That would be great. But I'll take her. I'll take her hate. You are just sitting here ready to pounce on me. How is that hate? No, I simply...
Starting point is 01:23:52 You just asked me a bunch of weird questions on our date and now you're pouncing on me. No, that was the... I'm back to me again. This is me. Oh, go ahead. And it's not a weird question. I just was saying, like, has there been any follow-up? Any communication?
Starting point is 01:24:03 Thank you for asking. I probably messed up by not. But, no, I was at CMT Awards all night. And then I was like, you know what? I don't want text for the day of. Yeah, it seems like desperate. So like today, like, good morning. Amy?
Starting point is 01:24:16 Oh, yes. That's pretty good though. Good morning. And like, the sun emoji. Okay. Coming up. Amy, tell me something good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University.

Tell me something good. So I recently told you about James South, who's a World War II veteran, who wanted 100 birthday cards.
Starting point is 01:28:08 for his upcoming 100th birthday. So he's at his assisted living center. All the people gathered together there that work there. They sent this letter out like, hey, he would like to get 100 cards for his birthday. Let's make this happen. Well, he got cards from all over the world and more than 100,000 of them. 100,000. So we got 100, but 100,000.
Starting point is 01:28:28 I'm like, who counted those? Wow. It would take a very long time. That's great. And just super amazing. Cards came from China, Australia. South Africa. That's awesome.
Starting point is 01:28:40 I'm going to tell you what else is awesome, too. Are these funerals where our military members have passed away and they're like, well, nobody's coming. Will somebody show up? And then a whole town shows up? Every time they do a new story about that, I'm like, are you kidding me? Like, those are quite touching to me too. Love that. Love that story.
Starting point is 01:28:57 That's what it's all about right there. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. This is that story I was talking about earlier. Gretchen Wilson was asked to leave her hotel early Sunday morning because she refused to keep quiet and now she's screaming for a boycott of the place.
Starting point is 01:29:24 Oh no. This is after her show at the Los Cruces County Music Festival. It does seem like every time we hear from Gretchen, that's trouble. At least she's consistent. Is she the one that got kicked out of the plane? Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:38 She and her crew were kicked out of the hotel in Canto early Sunday morning for being too loud. It was after she played the Los Cruces County Music Festival. festival. Employees knocked on the door said, hey, would you mind keeping it down, but no luck. So they called 911. A local TV station got the audio, and you can hear the employee saying Gretchen tried to use the celebrity card, but it didn't matter to him, and here is a clip. We went up there multiple times the past half hour, so then I went up there, and she said that she was a celebrity, but I forgot to get her name.
Starting point is 01:30:10 Gretchen, something she participated in the country music festival. Her words was, I paid for the room, mic, and carolosa people. thing. My manager, my manager's like, we called PD and have them help the security guard and gas her off property.
Starting point is 01:30:24 There was no music or television. She's just being super loud. So there was no music and no TV? So what was she doing? She's just singing a redneck going over and over again. I'm a redneck. Ritchin hit up Twitter to call for a boycott because she had to wait two hours for breakfast
Starting point is 01:30:45 and please kicked her out for no reason. Again, she's consistent. You know, she's she says a lot. She has a lot to say, and loudly, apparently. But you got to be doing it multiple times and then being belligerent to be kicked out. Yeah, but it wasn't it like other people? Was she talking to somebody?
Starting point is 01:31:09 I mean, there had to be other people in the room, right? Couldn't be just her. Just herself. Why not? I don't know. I pictured her like having a party in a room with music and TV. No, no music or TV. I know.
Starting point is 01:31:19 That's now what's confusing. The Bobby Bones show. All right, lunchbox. What is your story? Look, I've been telling you forever, money brings happiness. And you're like, oh, money doesn't make people happy. New research finds that having more money makes people less stressed and more satisfied with their life. What if I always told you money makes you feel powerful, makes you feel in control, makes you feel happy.
Starting point is 01:31:44 And that's exactly what it says. Money has the ability to make us feel more powerful and in control. What have I been saying for years? Well, I have more money than I do five years ago. I don't feel any better. What? You're not happier? No.
Starting point is 01:31:56 Money doesn't bring, money just makes you a little more of who you are, I feel like. I don't know what that means. Bobby's more giving. Well, I don't know about that. Yes, that's probably true. However, I would just,
Starting point is 01:32:10 I don't think that this is a dump hole. Tomorrow there'll be another one outgoing. Money doesn't mean I'm on the side that the other side of what his article. Money says it gives you more confidence. And that in turn breeds happiness. and satisfaction. No, no, we heard the article
Starting point is 01:32:26 the first time you read it. I love money. Amy, what is your story? Well, the snooze button is one of the worst ways to start your day. And as a recovering snooze addict, I mean, I can tell you that it was affecting me negatively,
Starting point is 01:32:40 but I didn't see it. I couldn't see it because I loved snoozing so much. But hitting the snooze button sets you up to be groggy, less productive. You know, you're repeatedly waking yourself up in and out of a deep sleep. You're also setting yourself up to be late, rushed, more anxious than you typically would be,
Starting point is 01:32:57 your body is designed to pop right out of bed so you shouldn't go from awake to sleep to wait to sleep. Like when that alarm goes off, just get up and get the day going. Well, how about that experiment? I was like, Amy, you have to stop hitting snooze. There's no need for it. And you're like, I don't know if I can do it. No, no. I was like, it's so, I love snooze.
Starting point is 01:33:12 Like, I love the feeling of snoozing. Love it. My point is, if you just want to wake up at 9 o'clock, set your alarm to wake up at 9 o'clock and go, all right, time to get up, and pop up and hard and fast. Right, which what I would do because I love snoo. is I would purposely set my alarm earlier so I could snooze. But and again, all that time that you didn't have good sleep, you're snoozing in and out
Starting point is 01:33:32 of. You could just sleep all the way to nine. I learned, Bobby. I didn't know what I didn't know. All I knew was snoozing. And then so now I feel like yes, I can be the voice of snoot, don't snooze. I like your story. I don't like lunchbox's story. Why? Because it proves me right? It's just a story, but I just, my personal preferences I don't like or agree with that one, but I do agree with yours. Thank you. I won. No, it's not a comment.
Starting point is 01:33:58 No, you didn't win. You guys just both had stories that you guys said you wanted to share. So Amy says, snoozing is bad for you, and lunchbox says that more money makes you happier. Yeah, money does buy happiness, quote unquote. I mean, it makes life easier, but I don't think it buys happiness. Yeah, I don't think you guys either. No, I don't.
Starting point is 01:34:14 You can buy that boat. You can buy that Corvette. You can buy that house. I think if you're probably super materialistic, it does. feel that knee. But overall, if you're a materialistic person, you're not going to be, all your needs aren't going to be filled.
Starting point is 01:34:27 Yeah. So it's like a quick hit. Yeah. Like shopping sometimes for me, like if I'm having a bad day or whatever, like I do get a quick hit off of maybe treating myself with something. Yeah. But it goes away.
Starting point is 01:34:39 But if you didn't have that money, you couldn't do that shopping. You'd just go bad all day. It doesn't even have to be anything expensive. I could go to Target and just like buy something and be like, oh, it's good to come to Target. I feel good. But it goes away.
Starting point is 01:34:50 I do not agree with this story. I don't either. Hit it, Ramondo. The average woman goes through 79 different ones in her lifetime. The average guy goes through 94. What are they? I'll ask for more time. The average woman goes through 79 different ones in her lifetime.
Starting point is 01:35:17 The average guy goes through 94. What are they? Okay, time for the never going to get an answer. Here we go. The average woman goes through 79 different ones in her lifetime. The average guy, 94. What are they around the room, Amy? Hats.
Starting point is 01:35:41 Interesting. Y'all didn't have that? No, that's not what I had. Lunchbox. That's easy. toothbrushes. Oh. Incorrect.
Starting point is 01:35:50 A guy wouldn't go through more. Yeah, because they lose them more. That's why. Eddie, I'm going to go with razors. I think it'd be far more than that, huh? Far. incorrect. We'll grab a call real quick.
Starting point is 01:36:02 Let's go to Joy in North Carolina. Yeah, that's isn't so bad anymore. Hey, Joy, what do you think about that? I think it's blue jeans. It is not blue jeans. Appreciate that guest, though. The answer is, 79 for dudes, no, 79 for women, 94 for dudes kissing partners. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:36:24 That's it? People you smooched with it. What do you mean, that's it? Oh, my gosh. Here he goes. Here he goes. He's in the files. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:31 Where do you think you would fall in lunch, bikes? Oh, just kissing? Yeah. A thousand? I mean. A thousand? Yeah, I mean, I cannot count that high. Dude, my roommate and I used to have competition.
Starting point is 01:36:41 All right, we got to go to every bar and we'd make out of the chick and move it to the next bar and we'd try to get seven, eight, nine a night. I mean, that's just what you do. You think you made out of a thousand girls? Yes. For sure. Bobby, how about you? How many? 12.
Starting point is 01:36:57 I don't. Serious. I don't know. I don't know. But I would assume. I know of one, two, three. If someone decides we're going to try to start counting, you know you don't have a lot. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:37:08 She's like, let me think of the ones I know. Seven, eight, nine. I don't think I kissed a girl until I was almost 16. Oh, man. And so I was a virgin into my 20s. So, like, before you're 16, before you kiss someone, did you, like, did you just? Here's the story about me. Prys on your arm?
Starting point is 01:37:26 No. So your tongue just got no workout. I just didn't kiss anybody. Nobody wanted to kiss me either. And the first time I was in Kansas City and we were playing spin the bottle and it was summer and I was 15 or 16, I was roofing houses with my uncle
Starting point is 01:37:39 and at that time I was just doing the cleanup. So no glamorous job there. And so we're sitting around, it's me and some girls and another dude and it lands on the girl who's super, she was like 16 or 17, super pretty, it lands on me. And she goes, do I have to? Oh, this story hurts me.
Starting point is 01:37:57 Like any time I hear it, my heart hurts for you. That was my first. first kiss. A girl going, do I have to? And they said yes. No, Bobby said yes. I did not. No, they did. I was like, nope, you can get out of it. I felt stupid and I felt sad. And they were like, no, you lost. Kiss him. And I'm just like, she doesn't want to do it. They're doing it like a punishment for her. That hurt. That still hurts.
Starting point is 01:38:19 I know. And not so much for me, but if I think of another kid going through that, I'm just like, oh, you're kidding me. That was my first kiss, a forced kiss. And the same thing, when I lost my virginity, spend the bottle. And they were like, You have to. Wow. And you're like, I do. And she was like, no. No, that is not what happened.
Starting point is 01:38:36 That's not the case. But, yeah, 94 for a guy, 79 for women. And that is your never going to get it. Thank you very much. Let's go talk to Amanda in Iowa, who is called the show. Amanda, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. Hi. What's happening?
Starting point is 01:39:00 You're on the air. Awesome. No, I just was calling, I've never called a radio station. Hey, guys, we got a new one. And I love you guys, I could try. Anyhow, so I just wanted to do a girl with Morgan and, I think, Morgan number two and Amy, not to bash you at all. And I think it could be the guy or the girl's responsibility, but with the calling back or texting on the day of the date, I think that it doesn't show desperation kind of a thing. It more shows, like, confidence and that you're not afraid of the possibility of rejection.
Starting point is 01:39:35 You know, just kind of, I had a good time. Thanks, you know, or something. Listen, this is what happened. I went on a coffee date yesterday and then Amy said, did you text her back like good night before he went to bed? Yes, you did. And I said, no. Fine, I should rephrase.
Starting point is 01:39:52 At the end of the night, when you're done with all of your things, because you had a busy day, did you hit her up like, hey, had a good time? I didn't say good night. I said text her this morning and say good morning. Okay, I did not. I'm not hating hating hating on it. I just said for me, I didn't because I was like, you know what? It just felt like a little much.
Starting point is 01:40:09 It felt like a little aggressive. Like, hey, did you have fun today? Tell me right now. I know we were just together a few hours ago. That's not what we said for you to do. That's what it feels like in my heart. Okay. Wow.
Starting point is 01:40:18 Amanda, thoughts? Well, I mean, I think it could go either way too. As a girl or a guy, I think. But I know what I know, maybe not hating on it. But I just, I personally, I don't date. I've dated in like seven years. See? I'm probably not a good piece.
Starting point is 01:40:34 of advice. Exactly. I do the two month rule. Wait two months and calling back. Oh my gosh. Stop. Oh, is that supposed to be two days? Yeah, no. Two hours. Oh. Two hours is desperation. Amanda, I appreciate you for calling. Thank you for listening to the show. Thank you. See you later.
Starting point is 01:40:52 Thank you so much. Bye. Okay. We done? Just want to put her on. Hello. Katie and Austin. You're on the Bobby Bone show. Hi, Studio. What up? Hi. No.
Starting point is 01:41:05 We don't have an answer to that. Yeah. What if they say something? No, no. We only have to say morning studio. They have to say morning studio, then we yell it back. Otherwise, if they go, hey studio, top of the morning, we go, screw you. Okay.
Starting point is 01:41:19 Okay. Okay. No, do it. Hold on. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Katie, hold on. We just teed you up. Do it again.
Starting point is 01:41:27 Okay. Good morning, studio. Morning. So I met my now fiancé. on Bumble and our first date was six hours in a coffee shop. Six hours? Oh, no, Bobby wouldn't be attracted to that because he has too many things on his calendar. Respectfully, Katie.
Starting point is 01:41:45 What's that guy doing with me? Half four hours in your 30 minutes. If you really liked this girl, it would have lasted longer than 30 minutes. I don't know that that's true because I literally had to go somewhere and so did she. Were y'all meeting each other? Did you all meet on a Saturday? Her? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:05 No, it was a work night. And we just ended up, we just met like after work and ended up shutting it down. There was like live music and stuff going on. But it was just good conversation. And I mean, we just really liked each other. So I don't think we wanted to leave. That's local. But you could like her.
Starting point is 01:42:21 I feel like you could really like her after 30 minutes, but you're not going to sacrifice your workday. I know within the first five minutes. Okay. And then I got 25 extra minutes to spare. You know in the first five minutes. Absolutely. I can tell by how she's holding herself. And so I got it.
Starting point is 01:42:37 done. What? Twice if you... No, on my camera right now. People are watching. All right. Eddie's putting the camera on my blink eyes. Zooming in right now. Stop it. What are we going to say? Why just, I guess I'm curious what you felt in the first five minutes. Wait, what is that? Blink twice if you think you're going to date her again.
Starting point is 01:42:56 Oh! You can't react like that if I'm giving you a blink. I could be playing poker face. Poker. Be playing poker face. Poker face. All right.
Starting point is 01:43:07 Katie, appreciate that call. Okay. Raymondo, do you... Well, dating life. Oh, yeah, Ray has a date for you. Well, here's what. Raymondo sends me a note last night at like 11 o'clock that said, I got you. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:43:21 Yeah, so you only tell her about you? Don't say the name. Definitely can't say the name. I got to do some more research on her, but I have the stuff you need to hear. Okay, go ahead. Well, so you had said somebody your similar age or a little bit younger, she fits that bell perfect. She lives here in the city. You're not going across the world.
Starting point is 01:43:37 try and meet this chick. She's right here. I mean, blocks away. Go ahead. She has things going for her. So she has her own thing. You being busy. I mean, she might even be more busy than you. She has a website and Instagram, 70,000 followers. Why are Amy showing me a bit? This is, I'm just showing you. Amy, I asked Amy about it this morning, and Amy's like, I don't think she's single. I think she has a boyfriend. Oh, great. But I'm checking. That's why. I'm checking to see if they broke up. I went pretty deep in the gram. Like, I know her. She just, she, I didn't even know Amy knew her, but I was like, hey, do you know this girl?
Starting point is 01:44:05 Mm-hmm. And Amy's like, I think she has a boyfriend. Right. Her Instagram is her business, so she posts her business things. That's why the boyfriend isn't on there. Who told you about her? Friend of a friend of a friend of a friend. She's cool.
Starting point is 01:44:20 And very pretty. There's a bounty out there. $500. $500 bounty if I go on three dates at somebody. Yeah, I was going to definitely vet it, and I would have met her before, made sure she was single and stuff like that. That bet I'm into. If Ray goes and meets them ahead of time.
Starting point is 01:44:33 Oh, gosh. And does like a pre-interview? That girlfriend would kill me. Ray, if we go, because I know her, we could go on on this together and I'll split it with you. Amy now once in on. Ray, you're afraid to see if that works. You can flush that out. Oh, I like this look.
Starting point is 01:44:49 I didn't know, sometimes she wears glasses. She'll cook you a bunch of meals. Stop saying who it is. I don't know. But that doesn't help me. I don't know who that is. A chef that has 70,000 followers. Let me Google that.
Starting point is 01:45:02 Ray is said that. And then Amy's... Oh, and then... Whatever, I'm done. I want to say too much. Oh, that... I've never seen her wear glasses before. Amy, there's cameras right here.
Starting point is 01:45:11 Okay, sorry. They'll keep that phone down. Yes. By the way, you can watch our whole show and see all kinds of stuff. YouTube.com slash Bobby Bowen Show. Well, I will say in her... I just flipped through quickly her stories from the last 24 hours and I didn't see the boy, friend. But, I mean, that's just a day.
Starting point is 01:45:28 It's Ray's money. He can cut you if he wants to do. Okay, that's fine. You don't have to cut me in, Ray. It's all you. I think she has a boyfriend. Okay, well, we'll figure it out. Yeah, if Amy wants to tag team this check, let's do it, girl.
Starting point is 01:45:38 What are you talking about? That's not a good thing to say. Oh, my gosh. That's not a good saying. That's not a good thing. That's not what we're saying. I'm not going to do that. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Sunday is a yard care company that builds a custom plan based on your soil and climate, then sends you exactly what your yard needs. No harsh chemicals. just nutrient dense ingredients you apply with a hose it's designed to make yard care feel doable
Starting point is 01:49:07 go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis that's get sunday.com sometimes I will read a story and I will go what's wrong with people what's wrong with people thank you very much because this story about this girl who bit off her ex's finger
Starting point is 01:49:25 did you see this story first of all I don't even know what kind of rage you got to have in your heart to bite off somebody's finger or how hard you must bite because the human body isn't so easy to bite all the way through. A woman in Connecticut was arrested after she bit off her ex's finger.
Starting point is 01:49:39 By the way, that's crazy. But then she posted it on Facebook. The finger? Yeah. No. A balloon-filled woman was held on $75,000 bond following her arraignment on charges. She bit off her ex's finger
Starting point is 01:49:52 and then showcased the incident on Facebook. Many things kind of mine. First of all, what kind of nut bites through a human? Secondly, thank God. was just his finger. Mm-hmm. That's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:03 Yeah, I'll. Yeah, I don't. And then, also, let's say that she breaks up with this dude. And later on, you're starting to date this girl. And you find out because of the news, at one point in her life, she bit off a dude's finger. Oh, yeah, that's probably not. That's a deal breaker, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:50:16 Yeah. The man reported that she had either bitten off his finger as he was trying to restrain her from attacking him with a brick. If this pops up, it's in somebody, because I'll Google somebody I'm just starting to go out with. Wait, she was attacking him with a brick Or he was attacking her with the brick? She was attacking him with the brick Okay. And he held her back and then as he did, she bit his finger off.
Starting point is 01:50:36 Right. Well, I mean, y'all always say the crazy to hot ratio. So y'all should be real hot. You're saying you wouldn't date her. Wait, wait, wait, how hot, but. Giselle? She can bite a couple off before. Okay.
Starting point is 01:50:50 She can buy lots of stuff off, I guess. During the course of the investigation, police discovered that she had posted videos on Facebook bragging about the incident. And, done to do show casing the finger. Are you kidding me?
Starting point is 01:51:02 Yeah, that part. Women are crazy. Yeah. In general, there's a relationship here that the chemistry wasn't quite right. They both were probably a little nutty. Somebody super nutty and somebody
Starting point is 01:51:17 that's right don't usually get together enough to have a relationship for this then to happen later. Crazy usually follows crazy. I know, unless she's pre-menopausal. I feel like I have some rage happening that I've never happened
Starting point is 01:51:33 before, like I've never had before, like feelings and emotions and all kinds of hormones and stuff, but I haven't had the desire to bite a finger off. Yet. Yet. But I don't know. I appreciate your compliment about my suit last night. Yeah, you look good.
Starting point is 01:51:47 Thanks. Like I, even, my friend and I, we were on FaceTime last night and it came up. It was like, oh my gosh, do you see a suit? It looked good. It is on my Instagram. The vest. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:51:57 I mentioned I was wearing a vest and you guys kind of side-eyed me a little bit. Like, I don't know about it. I love a vest. Yeah, no, it looked good. So on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones, you can see the suit I wore last night to the CMT Artist of the Year Awards.
Starting point is 01:52:09 And I sat at the table last night with the TV star I mentioned was Johnny Galecki from Big Bang Theory. Oh, that's awesome. And the artist that I went up to because his name to people he knows is different than his artist's name. And I went up to him and I was like,
Starting point is 01:52:24 because I know him a little bit. And I was like, hey, Bob, what up? Oh, good. Kid Rock. Nice. Yeah, I never thought I would call him Bob, but I just, I know him a bit now. And it's weird to call him Kid Rock. Because anybody in Kid Rock Circle, even mildly calls him Bob. And I was like, Bob, what up?
Starting point is 01:52:39 He's like, hey, dude, we sat and chilled, set the table, was good. What else happened a lot? I talked to Tori Kelly for a while because we went out, and I don't know her, but we went out. What's our biggest song, Tori Kelly? We went out and I opened the show And then she came in right after me So we went out there So that was great
Starting point is 01:53:00 Talked to Dan and Shay We got there at the same time Just known those guys since we all kind of started And so I love to see Because those guys were hard Aside from being super talented Here's the thing everybody
Starting point is 01:53:12 There are a lot of people super talented Especially in Nashville Like this is the major leagues of music Everybody moves here Everybody's super talented But it's people that have an idea Of who they are And what music to make
Starting point is 01:53:21 And how hard they're going to work And I just haven't seen anybody like Dan and Shea out touring on a Tuesday when they didn't have many people come into their shows and I respect that and those guys were grinding it before grinding it was cool for them. They were doing shows and nobody was coming. And they didn't stop.
Starting point is 01:53:37 And now they're selling out arenas on an announce that's a year away. I could not be happier for that because obviously they had the talent but a lot of people have the talent. But they also were just showing up every day and just putting in the work. And I love to see people who have an idea
Starting point is 01:53:52 know exactly who they are When people said Danes Day will never work. People in country music said that sound will never work in country music. And they didn't stop. And not only did they not stop, they just put it into like fifth gear man and rolled. And so I love to see their success. So give me Tori Kelly's like biggest pop song. Because I know she has pop songs too.
Starting point is 01:54:10 She did this on with Chris Lane, Take Back Home Girl, but I think she has. I wonder what her biggest song is. I'm looking at all these here. I don't know that I reckon. Do you know that one? Yeah. You do? I don't.
Starting point is 01:54:37 Anyway, she was super nice. Talk to her last night. Saw Lindsay. She was on the show yesterday, my ex-girlfriend. Oh, yeah. How was cordial? How was that? It was super cordial.
Starting point is 01:54:45 No, it was great. I mean, yeah, it was great. So, yeah. I'm looking to all over songs here. I thought I would know more of them. What's this? Hollow with Big Sean. Well, she can sing.
Starting point is 01:55:00 Maybe I don't know her music. Who's the girl that sings? That says my fight song. Rachel Platton. Yeah, different. Oh, I thought I was talking to Rachel Platton. Oh, dang. thing you didn't say that to her. I think I was talking to Rachel Platton last night.
Starting point is 01:55:13 That's who you were talking to? Which one were you talking to? Tori Kelly. Okay. And she was super nice. But now that I think about it, yeah, I think I was talking to Rachel Platton last night. You're like, girl, that's my anthem. I'm like, wow. I'm an idiot. Well, that's why they're going to put me around many celebrities. Oh, there's Rachel Platton. Yeah. Well, this is my this is a jam. By the way, not who I was talking to you. How was it? I'm so stupid. Okay, there's that. I think that's all I got for right now. I got invited to a Halloween party last night.
Starting point is 01:55:48 Oh, really? Yeah. Like by? I don't want to say because they're pretty famous. Oh, okay. But they were like, come to the house and we're having a Halloween party. But I don't have any kids. Are you going to?
Starting point is 01:55:58 I think I'm going to go. I have to like get out of my little circle of doing only a house or work. Right. But yeah. So what are you going to? Do you know what you're going to dress up as yet? I do kind of. I think I'm going as.
Starting point is 01:56:09 Recyclops. Oh, yeah, you decided to do that. From the office. Dwight has a character. He comes in once a year as Recyclops. Yeah. And he's the superhero of recycling
Starting point is 01:56:20 and then he turns evil. It's a whole thing on the office. I think I'm going to go to Recyclops. But the thing is I have to explain it to everybody every time. Who are you? I'm Recyclops. From what is that?
Starting point is 01:56:29 One episode of the office that was about a 30-second club of the whole season. Well, here's a medical story for you. There's a guy who has a rare medical condition. That made his testes swell up to the size of basketballs. Oh.
Starting point is 01:56:44 What? How do you fit him in between your thighs? You don't. You just push him out front? You walk bow-legged. Oh, you don't walk, y'all. Oh, you don't? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:54 You don't think so? No. I mean, you still got to get places. Right. You got to get to the doctor. How do you sit in a chair? Well, that's easier than walking. A guy shocked medical professionals after he showed up to hospital with testicles with
Starting point is 01:57:07 testicles with large basketballs. Their massive size was the result of a rear-com. condition that required doctors to perform emergency surgery to relieve him of his burden. Or make a bunch of money on Instagram. He had a choice there. Did he want to do a thing or did he want to get fixed? Because he definitely could have had a following. Big time.
Starting point is 01:57:24 Maybe could it be Jennifer Anderson for the world record of fastest to a million followers? I would follow them. Guys, come on. I would have. But for what? You want pictures? Sure. I'm curious to know what the guy's life is like.
Starting point is 01:57:36 He could have got a show on TLC. Yeah. You imagine his Insta stories? He probably is in a lot of pain. I know. I know. The 43-year-old unnamed man has been transported to the hospital with a fever and two gaping gashes in his scrotum. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:57:52 During that time, his genitals had swollen to seven pounds and measured a foot around, larger than a regulation basketball. Dang. Wow. That's tough. Do we know what actually made this happen? Just a bacterial infection? Huh. Poor hygiene, they say.
Starting point is 01:58:10 Oh. Lunchbox heads up. Oh, man, that's messed up. By the way, he's discharged. And when doctors last saw him, they said healing well, satisfactory, functional, cosmetic outcomes. Oh, they deflated it? Yeah. I mean, you could probably get a lot of likes on that one picture, though, too, right?
Starting point is 01:58:24 Do you see the girl that got her breasts built up to ends for Instagram? What's N? It's a size. Yeah, that, like, there's, I didn't know there was anything past like F. Oh, you do now. There's G-H-I-J-K-L-M-M-O-B. Oh, man. Wow.
Starting point is 01:58:40 purposefully did that. Yeah, she's been 25K on it. Founder. For Instagram. Mm-hmm. She can make some money doing it. Watchbox knows everything about her right now. Did that book report.
Starting point is 01:58:51 Oh, yeah. It's too much. It's way too much. What's too? It's way too much. You want to talk about basketballs? Yeah, no, literally bigger. Yeah, they're pretty...
Starting point is 01:59:00 She can marry him. That would be the greatest reality show. What would you call it? Come on, Bose. I know you got this. She said she's been dreaming about this day since she was 17. Look at her. She's looking good.
Starting point is 01:59:12 Dream about what day until she paid money to get them huge? Yeah, get them huge. Way too big. You can go vote to bobbybones.com in our romantic movie draft
Starting point is 01:59:20 we did this morning. By the way, I'm telling you, is this the most recent one, Mike? Can you refresh that, please? What, the results? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:59:30 Morgan number two is just running away with it with a walk to remember Sweet Home Alabama and P.S. I love you. Ramundo is close-ish second with the notebook, Hope floats, and a star is born.
Starting point is 01:59:40 lunchbox and I are about 40 votes away and then Eddie. What's up? Just prepare yourself. We're not going to be in the next one. Are you sure? Rest in peace. There's a lot of time, right?
Starting point is 01:59:51 Yeah, you still got time. Because people get out of work and they're like, I forgot to vote. I forgot to drive home traffic when they're voting. The podcast listening. But go vote anyway. You can go vote. I think Ghost was probably the pick that was the best for me.
Starting point is 02:00:05 A little too old. Good movie, though. So good. Yeah. So check it out, bobbybones.com and get in on that. morning our tie-dye pimping joy shirts go on sale at 9.3830 Central. We don't keep any of the money only for spreading the message and helping others. All the money goes back into it. So tomorrow morning, Bobby bones.com.
Starting point is 02:00:22 Bobby bones. Yeah. So do you know Cristiano Ronaldo is? Yeah, he's the famous soccer player that's like, I don't know, he's like the wealthiest athlete in the world. Yeah. Like, except for America where he's not that famous, everywhere else in the world is like the most famous guy. Yeah. So he makes a bunch of money playing soccer. But Did you know he makes more money on Instagram than he does soccer? I think I did hear that, yeah. Crazy.
Starting point is 02:00:45 He makes about 35 million bucks a year just playing soccer. On Instagram, he pulls in $47 million a year. Crazy. And obviously he has endorsements and stuff too, but he makes more on Instagram than playing soccer. That is nuts. He has earned more through sponsored Instagram posts than any other user. So he's more famous than the Kardashians. And I'm just trying to put it in my mind where he ranks on the famous.
Starting point is 02:01:09 scale. I'm not a big Kardashian guy, but I also can understand that they are super famous and influential. So in his world, he's more famous than the Kardashians. Yeah. Wild? No way. So I thought I thought it would be cool. It's not that cool. No, I mean, it's kind of fascinating that he could make more on Instagram than the sport that made him famous. What's going on today with you? Tricia year was coming over to my house. So I think we're making like a holiday. We're just, doing like a holiday thing for my podcast, but we're also going to whip up like a festive cocktail, like a video that we'll share later. But it's kind of funny that she's coming over. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:51 Because like it's just weird to say that. But it'll be good because she's got, you know, obviously she's cooking show with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up and people hosting at their house. We're going to talk about all that sort of stuff. That one won't be up today, but she's coming over to do it. No, she's coming over to do it today. You know, as you say that, let's admit for a second that our lives are a little nutty nowadays. I know. It's definitely weird. Because Trisha, you're what's coming over to your house. And this afternoon, I'll be with Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn.
Starting point is 02:02:14 Oh, yeah, that's right. We're going to, like, a ranch to shoot cowboy pictures. That's funny. To just hang out and shoot pictures. Right. So, yes, we should acknowledge... Definitely. That our lives are a little nuts right now.
Starting point is 02:02:27 And we also look at them and go, what is happening? So we'll both be with the different legend in country music who we consider friends who, as their kids, we were like, we'll never even get to meet them, much less be friends with them. Right. So, no big deal. NBD. You have fun with Trisha Yearwood. I'll have fun with Ronnie Dunn today.
Starting point is 02:02:44 By the way, we're going to take this picture or these pictures that we shoot because Ronnie's a really great photographer. And we're going to take them, frame them, sign them, and in the end, we'll auction them off for St. Jude. So that's the reason we're doing all of this. I love that. Also, speaking of our Pimp and Joy shirts, go on sale tomorrow morning at 9.30, 8.30 Central. We don't keep any of the money. All goes to great causes. and they are tie-dye, which you can see on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones,
