Starting point is 00:03:07 No, you know. No, we do. We do? Yeah. Do you have a blue check mark yet? On what? Instagram? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:12 No. Do you have one on Twitter? Yes. I wonder why it's so hard. Did you look? Yeah, I've looked. I even tried the whole verification process and everything. Remember they turned me down?
Starting point is 00:03:23 They're like, eh-uh. Which is crazy because you have 200,000 followers. Yeah, I can't get it either. I don't know. I don't know how that works. Yeah, I got turned down a lot until one day you didn't. So you've got to fail until you don't, you know? Oh, yeah. Maybe just woke up one day and she had a blue check mark.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Well, I do get a lot of DMs from these companies that say, hey, we can get you a blue checkmark. It'll cost you whatever. I thought about it, but is it that important? No, don't pay for it. Yes, you should. Yeah, for sure. Why? Why?
Starting point is 00:03:50 They can absolutely get you a blue check mark. Give them your credit card. Your social. Give them your social. Is it a scam? I don't know. Huh. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Jana Kramer shared a frightening story on Instagram about losing sight of her four-year-old daughter while they were at a park. Everything's fine. But she said it's a reminder of how things can change in a blink of a second. Did you see this? No. She shared on Instagram how she was out with Jolie, her kid, and her husband and her two-year-old son. And then they lost sight of Jolie who got in a stranger's vehicle. Well, she got into a stranger's vehicle.
Starting point is 00:04:21 Kramer shared the experience in an Instagram post giving her fellow parents an important reminder. Let's play this clip here. I don't have that clip. I just had audio, Jana. Oh, that's the only clip we have? Yeah, that was you just saying it. Oh. Well, she basically, her and her husband and their other kid were going down a slide.
Starting point is 00:04:37 And Jolie had been found another little friend at the park and was running around. So they were like, oh, they're having fun. They're fine. So they went down the slide. And then when they got to the bottom of the slide, they were like, wait, what? And then another stranger looked at Jana and said, hey, I think your kid just got in that SUV over there. And then she freaked out and ran over there. And then Jolie came out behind the vehicle.
Starting point is 00:04:56 and then she was able to have the stranger danger talk with her. Like, don't do that. But there was. But I don't think it was a threat. Right. There was nothing. There was no vehicle trying to get her. It was just, holy crap.
Starting point is 00:05:07 And like that, we felt like something could have gone terribly wrong. There was a, just for the sake of this conversation and reminding parents just to be on the lookout. Like, theft of children absolutely does happen. And it happens in America more than you would think. I watched a video on Instagram that went viral from a mom who was in a Michael's. parking lot and she saw some suspicious people when she parked but she just kind of she trusted her gut and intuition and made sure she stayed on guard even so she saw them falling her around the store and they didn't they were kind of i guess not the smartest ever but she was listening
Starting point is 00:05:43 to them and she heard them on the phone saying yeah she's got two kids the blonde boy is going to be a good one you know and so she was like what in the world so right when she left michael she called her husband. She had him on the phone. She's like, I'm scared to walk to the car. I don't know what's happening, but I'm going to stay on the phone with you. And then she said, because she had all her radar up, she said she didn't handle it the best that she could have. Looking back, she would have done things a lot differently because she did put herself in danger. But she decided to move forward to her car and, like, position herself to get her kids in. And she saw this man and woman approaching her. And then distracted by them, she also noticed a white van coming parked strategically to
Starting point is 00:06:21 where they could just grab the kids and throw them in the van and drive off. And then someone else in the parking lot noticed something suspicious and yelled, ma'am, are you okay? And it distracted the people. So it was like likely a child abduction set up situation happening, but luckily through the stranger in the parking lot yelling and the mom, you know, having her senses up didn't happen. But right here in the middle of America, she has two cute little blonde kids that they thought would be good ones. Holy mackerel. I know. Do you have any incidents about kids? People trying to get your kids. I mean, no, not like that.
Starting point is 00:06:56 I did tell you guys about the one where, like, I lost my kid for, you know, five minutes, but he was in the backyard. And the feeling of losing your kid is just scary, even though he's in the backyard, terrifying. Because you're just yelling his name and going around the house, looking everywhere, asking the kids,
Starting point is 00:07:10 the kids are looking for him. And I'd never seen so much fear in my kids' eyes when they started thinking, oh, my gosh, we lost him. You know, so that's scary to them, scary to us. Like, I can't imagine what this woman was feeling like at the store. Yeah. And the fact that there's a, there's a market for kids.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Yeah. And it's, it makes me sick. Country music streams were up 19% last year compared to the year before. Who do you think the two biggest streamers were? Luke Combs.
Starting point is 00:07:36 And Morgan Wallin? Correct. Yep. Just those two and then everybody else was secondary. Just dominated, both of them. Luke had 2.7 billion. Morgan right about 2 billion. And there were artists who had good years with streaming, Gabby Barrett, I hope, did really well as a song.
Starting point is 00:08:03 Parker McCollum, Pretty Heart was a big one. So, but I'm just looking at the numbers. Luke Combs and Pork and Wallen had just separated themselves this last year. Which, by the way, Morgan will be on the show tomorrow. You'll be able to hear that on the podcast. Which drink makes you crazier? Vodka, rum, or tequila? Tequila.
Starting point is 00:08:23 Tequila. If you have to pick, which one makes you crazier, Amy? Uh, mm-hmm. Tequila? All you say tequila? Ray? Yeah, it's definitely tequila. That's why I don't do shots.
Starting point is 00:08:36 It's an upper. And it makes sure her clothes come off. According to a new survey, it is vodka. Really? No. Especially when you drink it straight with no mixture. It ranked first for people who admitted to waking up naked after too many drinks. It also ranked first for those who did something dumb enough to get them in trouble with friends or coworkers.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Wow. Yeah. At my, the little dinner we had for Caitlin's birthday, I have alcohol in my house because people keep sending it to me. And I have some really expensive vodka. Tequila. Oh, it is tequila, huh? But it's white. It's clear.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Yeah. It's tequila can be clear. Blanco. Blanco, go. Anejo. Well, whatever it is. Pasadrones. That's what it is.
Starting point is 00:09:19 That was there. And he's like, I've never had this sipping tequila before. And I was like, open it up. If you don't drink it, no one will. It just sits there on the little shelf. And so the bottle was 90% full. All I know is that at the end of the night when it was left there, there was like just a bit, any left in the bottom. Man, that wasn't sipping tequila?
Starting point is 00:09:34 I don't know who. I was chugging tequila. I don't know who was having the tequila, but they were like, it goes down so smooth. Well, who lost all their clothes at the end of the party? Nobody, as far as I know. And everybody got out. You mean when everyone left at 7.30 p.m.? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I was like, all right, guys. You know, we're all very close. You know me. I'm, uh, you wait, bye. I'm to go to bed. So, uh, all right. That's it. I want to go back to that story that Amy did.
Starting point is 00:10:00 That lady is being investigated for making up the whole claim. No, she's not. They interviewed the couple in the video, and they were found to have not done any of that, and they were just shopping for Christmas decorations. The one Amy's talking about? Oh, wow. Oh, I think that my story. I don't know that I did.
Starting point is 00:10:15 The tequila parties are. No, no, no, no. The couple shopping at Michaels were just a Latino couple, and they feel like it was racially motivated. No, I don't know. She took down the video from her Instagram account. She took it down? Well, probably she was advised.
Starting point is 00:10:30 I don't know. The priest said they are investigating her for making a false report. I want the 30 minute, if it is false, I don't know. I'm too much here, but I need the 30 minutes of my life back that I spent watching her entire Instagram. We'll take the 10 from the story you told us right. Once you get that, you owe us a bit. Okay. Well, no, I will justify the story.
Starting point is 00:10:51 It did seem like someone's on a phone going, yeah, the blonde one. Well, whatever. Hey, Chuck, I'm five feet away from the blonde one. He's quite the get. I saw she was doing podcasts with people. Oh my gosh. Like I don't know still. I'm not on a side yet. Either way. Based upon the evidence gathered by the police department, we are investigating whether this incident was potentially a false report. Well, that's tragic. But also tragic is that kids do get kidnapped. And I've had people that work in human trafficking on my podcast talking about the thousands of kids each year in America that go missing. So it does happen. We agree it does happen. That story seemed a little.
Starting point is 00:11:26 I know. But I don't. I was telling you verbatim. Like, that's what she said happened. Yeah. Well, she's a social media influencer. People. Oh, yeah. There we go.
Starting point is 00:11:36 And you can also buy some tummy teeth that she's selling is her next post. Well, shoot, you guys. I don't know. It was a good story. It was a good story. We were there. We were motivated and moved. All right.
Starting point is 00:11:45 By the way, check out four things with Amy Brown. Yeah. The Word of the Year, hope and gratitude, puzzles. Which. Canely got your puzzle? She did. Okay. I didn't know if I supposed to say that.
Starting point is 00:11:56 She got you up. Amy's like, I like puzzles. And Kayla's like, I got her a puzzle. I know. I'm on my third one. The one she gave me will be my fourth. She gave me one that's 500. Oh, that's not bad.
Starting point is 00:12:04 The 500 is doable. Yes. I did 1,000 one over the break, and I wanted it several times. I want to just like swipe it off my counter and throw the pieces everywhere because I got so frustrated. But we finished it. Oh, yeah, you and your daughter? And my mother-in-law and father-in-law, really, anybody that would come by, I'd be like, hey, I'm going to throw a few pieces in. Check that out.
Starting point is 00:12:23 And check out the sore losers you guys on today. Yes, we are. Of course we are. Check out. Check out the Soar Losers podcast as well. On the Bobbycast tomorrow, Dina Carter is on. It's 25 years since strawberry wine. Man.
Starting point is 00:12:35 So we talk about that. You know, she went to college to be a rehab specialist. Really? Like a physical therapist? And she finished school. I mean, it was, she'd like to think, she thought you might act a little bit. This is an interesting story to hear how they're all.
Starting point is 00:12:51 And they did the whole record that did I shave my legs for this record. Yeah. It was all done. And then they were like, I don't think this is right. And they scrapped like half of it. And strawberry wine wasn't on there. They recorded that later after she heard it on someone else's.
Starting point is 00:13:03 It's just a whole interesting story. She was in a good Christmas movie that I watched. I don't know if it was Lifetime or Hallmark or one of those this year. This isn't a made up story too. No. When you said acting, it made me think like, oh, I just saw her in a Christmas movie that came out for this holiday season. And I thought she did a really good job. Well, that'll be on the Bobbycast tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:13:23 Enjoy today's show. We hope you do. Thank you for being here. Goodbye, friends. Starting point is 00:17:17 Tomorrow Morgan Wallen will be in. And he just said he just wants to play music. So he's going to come in. He's got a new record out. He's going to play a bunch of songs. So if you're a Morgan Wallen fan, be sure to check out tomorrow's show. And I bring him up to start this show.
Starting point is 00:17:32 His new album, which comes out tomorrow, we mentioned that it had been leaked at Walmart. I didn't know what that meant. It physically was put out on shelves. Leaked to me is on the internet. Right. Someone apparently accidentally put it on the shelves, therefore people had it.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Then they started to put it online a bit. So here's Morgan Wallen reacting to Walmart releasing his album early. It's been brought to my attention that some of my music, well, my album has leaked as some Walmarts around the country. I don't know how that's possible, but it has. And also that some of y'all are posting and trying to spread the new music, which I'm super thankful for. I'm glad you're eager to do that. But, man, I've been working on this album for three years, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let Walmart do the leaking like that.
Starting point is 00:18:18 So if I don't care, just keep up with me on here, whether it's TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, whatever, I'm going to start doing the leaking of the songs myself. That's funny, huh? But he was still selling the songs, right? It's not like they were leaked for free and everyone can get them for free. He was still selling CDs, right? Walmart was selling them. Right, but then people were putting them up. Yeah, I get that part.
Starting point is 00:18:38 But also anything bought didn't count as the week it needs to be bought. Got it, and that's important. Sure. Yeah. Your first week is how good does your record do? Here is Morgan Wallen urging fans not to go to Walmart to pick up the record. It's kind of messed up, but I don't shop at Walmart anyway. I also gave Target two extra songs.
Starting point is 00:18:59 So if you're going to buy my album physically, go to Target, baby. It's a war We're shooting with Walmart Target, baby This guy's crazy Anyways in tomorrow Can't wait to see him Yeah
Starting point is 00:19:13 Love that guy We are Dealing with the new puppy right now Which is not just a new puppy But a puppy that Just weeks before was a stray on the streets And Has a lot of issues
Starting point is 00:19:26 So we're getting through that But Amy mentioned this morning She had a story that she wanted to tell me What is it about? Well, I knew with the new puppy there was some challenges, and I saw an article about the puppy blues, so I clicked on it, and it's a very real thing. You may find yourself crying, eating less, sleeping less,
Starting point is 00:19:43 and having trouble focusing. Caitlin had most of those issues. Puppy blues. It definitely made her crazy. Da-na-na-na-na-na-na-da. Just bought a new puppy. It bites all the time. And then it pees on the floor.
Starting point is 00:20:00 And I wonder, is this even a puppy? So I have tips for surviving the puppy blues real quick. Yeah. First of all, you got to make sure you got time for yourself to relax. This could also apply if you have a baby. Know that it will pass. Well, this is what we do. We read that a lot of puppies that have, like, trauma to,
Starting point is 00:20:21 they need to be given a schedule for the first time ever. Yeah. And we're crate training it. So it's like playtime this time, food time, crate time. And we go on an exact schedule. So we do get our time to sit whenever it goes into the crate for 90 minutes. Yeah. And don't hit me saying crate training is wrong.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Because I don't know if it is or not, but we're getting through with it. We're doing it. What else? Try different training techniques, which sounds like you're doing. And then lastly, it seems pretty obvious, but don't take it out on the puppy. It's not the puppy's fault. That's true. So.
Starting point is 00:20:55 Yes. But puppy blues are very real. It is not the puppy's fault. I'm saying, I'm just saying that again to make sure I know. Yeah. It is not the puppy's fault. All right, thank you for that story, Amy. 28-year-old Nala Zisser.
Starting point is 00:21:08 She is now the world record holder for eating the most chicken nuggets. What do you think the record is for 60 seconds, most chicken nuggets? 60? You would think it would be something crazy? A nugget a second? A nugget a second. There's no way. There's no way.
Starting point is 00:21:25 You have to swallow them whole. All right. She had 16 nuggets in 60 seconds. A bit disembate. pointing of a record. I'm telling you right now, Bones, I can break that. You can't break that. 16 nuggets. In 60 seconds. Hey, is there any chance
Starting point is 00:21:39 we get some nuggets up here later in the show? Yeah, definitely 100%. Are they? Where from McDonald's? It doesn't matter. Let me read this. But here's what I'll do. After 12, anyone that wants to do this today, I give you $10 a nugget after Nugget 12. 10 bucks a
Starting point is 00:21:55 a nugget after 12. It's going to be hard to get to $12. You just said you can do $16. I think I can do that. Now, like, it depends what nugget. You give me a Chick-Villain nugget. They're a little bit smaller. Oh, I thought they're bigger sometimes. They're various sizes, but, man, those McDonald's?
Starting point is 00:22:09 It doesn't say chicken McNuggets. Okay. It just says chicken nuggets. Scova, what's the ruling on this? Do you want to watch the video? I'll watch the video, but I was thinking McDonald's because it's kind of the standard size of a nugget. They're not huge. And they're bread in?
Starting point is 00:22:21 And you always say you can do stuff and then you back out in the last second. Let's just do it. The Wendy's ones are small. They're McDonald's nuggets. I'm watching the video now. That's what I'll get that. I'll get McDonald's. Yeah, I mean, I feel like if you do it...
Starting point is 00:22:32 I tell you what? 10 bucks after 10 nuggets. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But so the first 10, no money? Hey, greedy pants.
Starting point is 00:22:41 What? Yeah, no money for the first 10 nuggets. Can you get me barbecue sauce to dip? You get free nuggets. You get a lot of dipping. So who's all playing so I know how many nuggets to get? Who wants in for anything over 10 nuggets? You get 10 bucks a nugget.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Boom. Give me. Lunch box? I'm out. I forgot I was on a diet. I'll do it. Scoobit will do it. Eddie.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Eddie, you're the one that said you... I know. I remember it I'm on a diet I've been on it for like five days I can't do it now Why are you on a diet? We'll talk about that later in the show
Starting point is 00:23:07 Because it is ridiculous Okay But this is Typical Eddie Typical Eddie No I'm saying it's ridiculous And I'm saying it's ridiculous And it must really do it
Starting point is 00:23:16 You know I would do this I love chicken nuggets But you can take a break one day Yeah This is serious Okay Is it like a doctor told you? No
Starting point is 00:23:24 No Amy Wait till you find out Someone more important than a doctor We can do it in the next segment This is the most ridiculous diet I've never heard of. Is it like an athlete? No. Even worse.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Okay. Lunchbox is in. Yeah, absolutely. Scuba Steve is in. Amy, I tell you what. What? Since you're smaller than these guys, any nugget after eight, you can have ten bucks. Oh, so I'm going to make a cup, 30 bucks and feel sick.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Oh, is 30 bucks not good enough for you? No, it is good. Mama War bucks? Hey, dang, baller! No. Richy rich. No, it's that I'm probably going to not feel that great and then have to go spin that 30 bucks on medicine.
Starting point is 00:24:11 Like. You're not going to mean medicine. Well, when's the last time you've had a nugget? Oh, I mean, recently, my kids have, we do these chicken nuggets at home all the time. They look just like the McDonald's one, but they're different. Okay, she had 16 nuggets in 60 seconds. These guys claim anything over 10. for lunchbox and scuba, 10 bucks.
Starting point is 00:24:31 Anything over 8 for me? Anything over 8 for you. I'll give you 10 bucks a nugget. Okay. They gotta be all the way down. You gotta go, ah. So we'll do that later in the show. All right.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Okay? Give you guys time to let your breakfast. Oh yeah, I need to loosen up my stomach. I just ate. Well, we'll only do it for a couple of hours. We'll do it later on. Okay. Also, you coated your stomachs.
Starting point is 00:24:50 That's good. That is good. Let's go. Ah. She also has the records for 22 Big Macs in an hour. No, I'm not doing that. That's a lot. I'm not doing that.
Starting point is 00:25:00 That's disgusting. Hey, is she little? A lot of these people, they're not even what you think. She's a little girl. Is she a hottie? No, what? She's not a big girl.
Starting point is 00:25:09 Yeah, she's interactive, sure. She had 27 Reese peanut butter cups in 100 seconds. Wow, that sounds fun. I think I could do that. But that would be, that would be like. Okay. The miniature ones? No, not miniature.
Starting point is 00:25:22 The regular circle ones? She had 27 Reese's peanut butter cups in 100 seconds. Wow. That would be 14 packets. That's a lot. That's too much. But without that last one. Well, lunchbox, if you want to do this one, let's see, you have 27. Anything over 16.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Reese Peanut Butter Cups. What's her technique? Lunchbox, do it. Man. But we're not today. Hey, Mr. Talker, you be flying over here. You'd be quiet. If I was not on this diet, I would do it.
Starting point is 00:25:47 No, no, no. You opened your mouth said, I can do it. This is what you always do. I can do it. Then when it comes down to it, actually, I'm going to back out. I'm going to back out. That's true. I'm back out, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:25:55 That's your new name is back out Eddie. Yeah. That's not a good name. Hey, back out Eddie. Back out Eddie. Here we go. So not today. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:05 But maybe next week. Yeah, maybe next week. Let's see how you do on the Nugget Challenge first. Hey, I think, yeah, I'm gonna crush it. If you're looking for your thing, lunchbox, you are the perfect guy to become a competitive eater. Why don't you train to do that? Yes. You're looking for hands and cookie jars.
Starting point is 00:26:18 There's a way that they train. You should do that. You have the body for it? I do have the body. That's what the women say. There's just not much of a body. No, it's not. Back back back.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Look at the guys who are really great competitive eaters. Johnny, who's the hotline guy? It's like thin guys. Joey Chestnut. Joey Chestnut. It's like thinner guys that are allowed to be soft a little bit.
Starting point is 00:26:39 And that's him. You're looking at them. You're looking at them. But you don't take pride and having abs. No, some of the competitive eaters are ripped. Show me one. I will.
Starting point is 00:26:50 That one guy. I think Joey Chestnut's pretty strong. That's not ripped. Yes, he has a six pack. How do you know? Are you looking at Joey Chesson after dark? Yeah, she's like joey chestnut.com. I don't know if it's him,
Starting point is 00:27:00 but I know there is a competitor eater, like one of the hot dog ones. I saw a guy and he was all at the gym getting ripped right before his competition. Hey, would you Google image Joey Chestnut shirtless? Yes. That's what Amy Googled for sure.
Starting point is 00:27:15 Because if picture exists, it'll pop up here. All right, Joey Chestnut shirtless image hit. But I don't know if it's him. Pushing enter. It's frozen. And it's frozen. Okay, here we go. Ripped?
Starting point is 00:27:28 No. He was on amazing race. The only person that has kind of abs is Kobayashi. Yes, that might be him. He hadn't been around in about 20 years. Well, whatever. We're going to do this later in the show, everybody good? I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:27:42 Not back on Eddie, though. Okay. Next segment, I'm going to tell you why Eddie's backing out. Yes, it's important. You guys can roar your eyes on that. So if you're new to the show, Eddie is the video producer on the show. He's been my best friend for years and years and years. He's the other half of the raging idiots are comedy act.
Starting point is 00:28:00 He is a Hispanic dad with four kids. I think I get to pretty much fire there. I think you got it. He nailed me. He's going on a new diet. We talked about this in the last segment. By the way, how much do you weigh right now? I don't know, like 185, something like that.
Starting point is 00:28:14 About 511 or so? Yeah, 511. Do you feel like you're in great shape right now? No, no, no, I'm at the point where I'm walking upstairs and, like, get a little winded when I get to the top. So what motivated you, before you say what the diet is? Sure. What motivated you to make this change?
Starting point is 00:28:28 I just kind of seen pictures and being like, man, the face is just getting a little, a little thicker, you know, and you look down, your belly's getting a little bigger. Not crazy. I'm not like, you know, worried about my health or anything, but I could definitely use a little pound shaving. Let me ask the question a little different. What inspired you to do this diet? I'll tell you right now, man. I was reading a book over the holidays, Matthew McConaughey book, all right? And he's talking about this Dallas Biobaccoe.
Starting point is 00:28:56 club role that he has to take, where he has to lose 50 pounds. Stack. So he goes, what I did was I ate five ounces of fish, one cup of vegetables, and that's it for lunch and dinner. And breakfast, two egg whites. That is it. And he lost two and a half pounds a week. Eddie, he was taking on a roll of the HIV.
Starting point is 00:29:19 Stage four. Right? AIDS. Yeah. Yes. Person. Why? I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:29:24 Well, I mean, it wasn't even about the role he was. was taking. I thought like, gosh, what, what, like, perseverance of this guy to say, like, oh, I've got to lose 50 pounds? Easy. The guy was weighing 180, 170, just like me and said, I can do it. It was for his job. And also, I'm not like you. He's pretty ripped. And he got paid to do it. Like he was. And he looked sick. Yeah. And you want to look sick? No, no, guys, that's not the point. I'm not trying to get to the lose 50 pounds. But if I could lose 10 pounds in a month or a... But you're eating two egg whites and then fish and broccoli? Five ounces of fish and a cup of vegetables for lunch and dinner. So you get two fish and vegetable platters. Correct.
Starting point is 00:30:04 Okay. Whatever. And let's just see where I'm at in a month. I say you quit in two weeks. But that's a long time though. That'd be good if you do two weeks. I don't even do them two weeks. I don't either. I don't either. Well, you've chosen not to do the nugget eating challenge later on the show. Because of this. Because I've been working on for five days now. I'm on day five. So that means you should be down. Are you down? I mean, I don't know. I think that takes a while to start.
Starting point is 00:30:28 So you can't drink coffee, water, anything? Sure, sure. And he even said I drank a whole bottle of wine every night. I'm like, that boy, that's what I'm going to do too. You're five days into this? Five days into it. And I didn't bring it to you guys attention because I knew you would make fun of me. I knew you would tell me it's a dumb diet.
Starting point is 00:30:44 And that's why I didn't say anything. But I'm like, I have to talk about this. Once they start seeing me lose weight, like Dallas Byers Club, they're going to be like, what happened? Don't say like Dallas Byers Club. He was, like, sick. But what if I didn't tell? Guys, I'm talking about Matthew McConaughey.
Starting point is 00:30:57 I'm not talking about the real guy. You're like, well, I mean, I guess he had to do. Yeah, you're right. He was doing it for a role. But, I mean, a role in which he was playing a sick person who would probably would like to have weight on them. It's not about that. It's about the mental. Well, we're not going to comment on your body anyway.
Starting point is 00:31:14 So if you start to lose weight, don't expect a comment from me. I will. You tell me about it. I'll be like it's working. Yes, that's what I'm talking about. Then you're going to encourage this. Your body needs food and now he's living off an egg. You know, what it is is Eddie thinks he's going to be Matthew McConaughey.
Starting point is 00:31:28 That's what it is. He read the book and now he thinks he's Matthew McConaughey. You know what else he said? He said that after like a month, he said, man, my body didn't feel so great, but my mind was sharper than it's ever been. From a bottle of wine every night? I'm like, that's not a bad thing. My mind?
Starting point is 00:31:43 I want my mind to be sharp. With carbs, they say your mind just gets all hazy. Oh, no, your body needs carbs. He said his body felt terrible. So you want to feel terrible, but be mind sharp. Let's see where I go. I want to see how far I can get. I bet you make it two weeks.
Starting point is 00:31:57 That would be pretty good to me. Are you going to tell us the truth? Correct. Are you not going to break the diet at all? I will not break the diet at all. I promise you. And two weeks, that would be five pounds at whatever he said. No pizza.
Starting point is 00:32:09 No. No. I did all that for Christmas, guys. I went hard for Christmas. Okay, so you added extra weight so you could lose weight. Let's see. That's the problem when you start these diets over and over. You're in this cycle of going hard and then having to cut back.
Starting point is 00:32:25 If you would just like live life. It's just not in my DNA, guys. I'm going to be honest with you. Eddie is on the Dallas Buyers Club diet. I was calling Matthew McConaughey diet. Okay. What do you think, bones? I think you'll make it two weeks and be like, what am I thinking?
Starting point is 00:32:40 Okay. It's hard to sustain that lifestyle. Yeah. I think you should have a cheat day at least. And today it should be nuggets. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not going to break it. I've worked this hard for it for five days.
Starting point is 00:32:49 I'm not going to break it. All right. Well, let us know. All right, I will. Tomorrow morning, Morgan Wallin, in studio. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Ingrid Andres appeared on the late, late show, James Corden,
Starting point is 00:33:04 and talked about the person that's her dream duet partner. Definitely, Megan Nostalian. She, like, she does real hot girl stuff, and I do real sad girls. stuff. Kelsey Ballerini shared that her word of the year for 2021 is healthy. She plans to focus on her physical, mental, and emotional health after all of it taking a backseat last year. Luke Colmes talked about his big goals for the future. I'm definitely gunning for that, you know, entertainer of the year spot and winning that at some point, I think would be a huge moment for myself. And eventually, I mean, I think headline in stadiums, I think one day is something that I'm
Starting point is 00:33:45 hoping to do and play the Super Bowl. I want to do the halftime show. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. A 29-year-old man was in Utah out for a hike and he was almost at the peak when he got a little
Starting point is 00:34:03 too close to the edge and slipped, fell, boom, boom, boom, boom. He fell a hundred feet down, hurt his leg and pelvis and he couldn't move. He didn't know what he's going to. doing, he's just yelling. Ah, help! And some homeless people happened to hear him. They got the fire department out there five hours later. He was rescued.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Wow. Yeah, it took five hours. You probably think you're never going to be heard from. Yeah. I have a friend who's named Scotty, who now lives in Utah. He's moved around a little bit with his job. He works in tech. And so he lives right outside of Salt Lake City now.
Starting point is 00:34:40 And he goes hiking by himself through the snowy mountains. Scary. sometimes with no cell phone service by himself you're out of your mind I get hiking I don't really love hiking that much it's just walking
Starting point is 00:34:53 and I think a lot of it's because I grew up in the woods and I'm like but so do he I know but he also likes the snow he grew up in Arkansas but now lives in the snow and he's just fascinated with
Starting point is 00:35:05 bigger mountains and then how beautiful it is yeah I mean I can Google image it I'm good also I don't like the cold I've never been skiing. I always felt like unless you lived there, it was a rich
Starting point is 00:35:18 person thing. Yeah. Right? But then once I got older and had friends that would ski, I was like, you know what? I just don't like being cold and wet. It's a lot of work. Yeah. Like, I'd rather just wear shorts and go out on the boat.
Starting point is 00:35:34 Yeah. Yeah, because cold weather hurts. Hot doesn't hurt. I like it. It doesn't feel good, but it doesn't hurt. I'm telling you, I love it. I'd rather have a 106 degree day than a 32 degree day. Would you? But you can bundle up
Starting point is 00:35:47 and build a fire. Yeah, not for me. I'd rather be... I'd rather be 32 and have the proper clothing than be hot, sweaty, and... Not me. You're crazy.
Starting point is 00:35:59 I love... Yeah, me too. My best days were going out on a golf course when it was 106 in Austin and nobody would be on because everybody was like, it's too hot.
Starting point is 00:36:07 And I'm sweating, but good for me. I loved it. That's a good story. The guy's six. The world still moves. The end. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Boneshow.
Starting point is 00:36:21 Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes us from Johnsonburg, Pennsylvania. An Elk County man was bored over the holidays. He went walking through the town. He's like, man, that's an old hotel, never been in there. And you see on movies, things like light up on fire real quick. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:36:37 Let me go in and see if that's really real. So he took a lighter in, lit some drapes on fire, some old mattresses. What the? He said he was bored and alcohol was involved. Oh, of course. I wonder if the guy just love fire too. What are they called pyromaniacs? Is that what that is? Like, who thinks?
Starting point is 00:36:54 Again, I've never been drunk, right? Yeah. But do you ever get drunk and go, you want to burn or blow something up? No. Oh, it's not a thing? But the hotel's been abandoned for three years, so he just wanted to know if it'd be like the movies where it went up real fast. Yeah, why not? I didn't know it was abandoned for three years.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Does that change your... A little bit. No, it doesn't. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. Starting point is 00:40:51 A little trivia game here called Amy versus lunchbox. Amy's in the lead four to O as we play to five wins. Yep. Amy, you're up first. These are questions lunchbox should know.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Ready? Air pressure is measured in PSI. Amy's already shaking her head. Yeah. What does PSI stand for? Pounds. Air pressure. Pressure.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Surpasses pressure system indicator. Pressure system indicator. Yeah. Is incorrect. Okay. Lunchbox you can steal. PSI stands for? I want to say it's per square inch.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Oh, is that it? Per square inch? Yeah. Incorrect. It's pounds per square inch. Oh. Oh. Amy, on what household appliance would you find a pilot light?
Starting point is 00:41:53 What household appliance? A pilot. I don't know if that might be like in the fridge. The light pops on. Is that like a pilot light? Where else would there be a pilot light? Oh, the pilot. You light the pilot in the, but that's not a light.
Starting point is 00:42:11 You light the pilot in the thing. Don't you have to lie to pilot? Is it a light, though, or is it fire? But that seems scary. It's like that big tank thing. The tank, the water heater. Correct. Wow.
Starting point is 00:42:26 She had no seconds left. And I was amazing. And I was doing it on my hand. Look at you. Good job, baby. You know, I would have accepted stove. We had a lot of our pilot in our stove growing up. Gas stoves, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:37 So I would have accepted that. But yeah, you're right. Water heaters was written here. How did you get to that right then? I don't know. Counting you down. Next up, how many points do you need for a perfect game in bowling? 300. Correct. Wow. Thank you to my grandmother who managed a bowling alley in Birmingham, Alabama, when every summer as a kid. Amy, two points, lunchbox zero, lunchbox all of these questions
Starting point is 00:43:04 Amy would know. Here's your shot. What city is the newest real housewives based in? Well, I don't even know what... Man, I know Janet Kramer was trying out for one, but I don't even know she lives in Nashville. So I would say Nashville, but that's not right. So we'll say Los Angeles. Incorrect. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
Starting point is 00:43:30 There you go. Okay, lunchbox. The first name of Katie Perry's daughter is named after a flower. What's that name? We'll go with Tulip. Daisy. Oh, I already won. You already.
Starting point is 00:43:42 Yeah, it doesn't know. Yeah, yeah. Which stars of a long-running reality show just signed a multi-year deal with Disney, Hulu? Long-running reality show? Let's go with Real Housewives. Incorrect. All of them? We just talked about that.
Starting point is 00:44:06 It's the Kardashians. They ended their show, and now we're going to Hulu. There you go. Amy, you are the winner 5 to 0. What a sweet. What do you want to say? I just... I don't really know.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Sometimes you... I don't know. Thank you, Lunchbox, for not knowing the answer. Nice. There we go. Always humble and victory, is she? Right, yeah. You are the champion. We'll go over and next week, we'll start Elder versus Millennium.
Starting point is 00:44:31 All right. Same deal. Play to five. That's where Eddie the oldest versus Morgan the youngest play each other. All right, a little confusing there, but we got through it. There's a beer brand offering a broken resolution preparedness kit. The emergency kits have a six-pacons. of ham's beer and five pounds of restaurant quality bacon.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Interesting. All contained with a ham's branded cooler. There's other little stuff in there too. So like when you break your resolution, you're like, just give me the beer? To get in shape. You're like, you know what, let's just go. Yeah. I failed.
Starting point is 00:45:04 Why not? Earlier in the show, Eddie told us about his new diet. Yes. Not really a resolution. Nah, not really. And we'll see how long it lasts. I'm not even really trying to get crazy about it. It's the Dallas Biers Club diet.
Starting point is 00:45:15 Matthew McConaughey Diet. egg whites in the morning Yeah, two egg whites. Five ounces of fish and a cup of vegetables for lunch and dinner. Correct. I just feel like that would be so boring. I mean, it's going to be boring.
Starting point is 00:45:26 But I mean, when I see the results, I'm going to be like this, is worth it. Also, I want to do it now. Come on, Bones, let's do it together. That way we can hold each other accountable. Bones, let me see your vegetables. I don't even encourage people to do this.
Starting point is 00:45:36 What are you going to do on your, like, what's, are you missing meals with your family and hanging out and doing stuff? No, we're all kind of eating the same thing. I'm making fish for everyone. and then what I eat my little portion, and they eat the rest. Can I subscribe to the Eddie food program where I give you a few bucks and you just bring over the food every day?
Starting point is 00:45:53 It's not a bad idea. I think I can do that. I think I can do that. A few bucks, like what are you talking? 10? 15, 20? It's an off-air conversation. Okay, I'm down.
Starting point is 00:46:03 If you find yourself having trouble sleeping, by the way, they say, do this. Sleep with an animal. A study found that people have significantly fewer sleep disruptions. And if you love an animal, have that. Although my dog's... He's a bulldog. There's no chance. He can't even sleep near our room
Starting point is 00:46:17 because his snore comes barreling through the walls. When we're playing PlayStation games, we can hear him. We can't even talk to each other. Sometimes I'll be on my headset just playing randomly with a bunch of people, and they're like, who's snoring? They'll start yelling.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Stanley. Is somebody asleep? Not at me. They don't know. I don't tell them. I just keep it up. Got a voicemail late last night. From Springfield, Missouri.
Starting point is 00:46:40 This is Cassidy. Morning studio. I want to know how Ray and trip to Aruba was. My husband and I went down our honeymoon as well, and we loved it. Anyway, love you all and can't wait to hear. Bye. When did you guys get married, Ray? Got married in end of October. So your honeymoon was in Aruba. Why Aruba during COVID they let people in or what? Yeah, you had to get a COVID test. So the entire, in theory, the entire island was COVID-free. So how was it? Awesome. Water, possibly the bluest I've
Starting point is 00:47:10 ever seen, every shade. I mean, you're talking your royals, your baby blues, all of them. Baby blues. It's an unbelievable resort. It was almost just like it was called a palace. We stayed at a place literally called that. So it looked just like that. Anything crazy happened on your trip? There was some wild stuff.
Starting point is 00:47:26 Yeah. My wife, honestly, she slipped late in the trip and hurt her legs. I was trying to find some Tylenol for a while. That was the bad stuff. The good stuff was catamaran rides, saw shipwrecks, went snorkeling, shown on the beach, doing absolutely nothing for seven days. I mean, it doesn't get better than that. Why was finding her tile in all such a dramatic thing?
Starting point is 00:47:47 She was in pain. She took a hard fall. It would rain at night, and we didn't really realize that. And however they make these buildings, it's really slippery. The tile, they would put up signs all the time. Very slippery. Be careful. And then the wind would blow.
Starting point is 00:47:59 I mean, even though it's a summer place, it was like ice. Her legs went right out from under her, had coffee. And luckily, she didn't tear or break anything, but she was in a lot of pain. So what happened? I ended up talking. I saw a guy. I went to a marketplace trying to find. time, never found Tylenol. She was in pain for two days, finally got back to the States,
Starting point is 00:48:17 but she's better now. She's on the mend. Are you not going to tell the drug story? Did you want me to? Well, I know it. There's a drug story? Yeah, and I thought it was a great story, but he's not going to it, so I don't know if he's not going to it for a reason. No, I will go to it. Okay, go to it. Okay, first day I'm there, guy asked me, do you want wheat? I said no. Second day I'm there, he goes, hey man, do you want mushrooms? Ecstasy. Okay, and I said, no. So the fifth day, my wife hurts her leg. And I look at every store, every gas station, every health place, no Tylenol on the entire island. If you're going to start a business, start a Tylenol business, okay? They don't exist. So then I get to thinking, what if I go and ask the drug dealer? Okay, so I go, they're easy to find. They're all over the beach.
Starting point is 00:49:01 I asked him, I said, hey man, I heard you were peddling some stuff earlier. Do you have Tylenol? And he goes, Tylenol. And I go, yeah, I really need it for my wife. And so he starts, to his buddies. They were almost a network. Hey, Tylenol, Tylenol, hey, hey, Marco, Jose. It's quite a scene right now, okay? And there's security guards at these resorts. And so it dawns on me, that's probably what these security guards are here for to bust people, tourists, trying to get drugs. And it looks like I'm trying to get drugs. I'm going to end up in a Rubian jail trying to get Tylenol. So I just started
Starting point is 00:49:34 took it, it took off. I absolutely bailed from the situation. I was like, forget it, dude. I don't need it anymore. That way was a wake-up call that I literally could have been in a jail cell because I was trying to get Tylenol in Aruba. And he didn't want to get to that story? That's great story. Yeah, that's great story. So how is she now? She better?
Starting point is 00:49:50 Yeah, she's fine. Okay. Good. There you have it. And Ray told us yesterday she got the vaccine. Yeah. Because she had breast cancer. Correct.
Starting point is 00:49:58 And did they say that you could maybe, if you're just there and you had your shoulder out, maybe you could get you one? I thought in my head, what if I was in the same room and there was maybe a little bit left in the syringe? Maybe they give me some of the vaccine. Who knows? And they didn't. But I was asleep. I was taking a nap when she did it.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Okay. The Bob Bow Show. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So, Bobby, I know the Queen's Gambit made your top list of shows in 2020. Loved it. Top five show of last year. Yeah, so good. And they have now a hotel room inspired by the whole show.
Starting point is 00:50:28 It's in Kentucky. This would be a fun date night for you and Caitlin. Well, the show, her house was based in Kentucky. Yeah. Well, that's why this hotel, I guess, did that. And the whole room has chess pieces. hanging from the ceiling. They have original chess review magazines, a rotary
Starting point is 00:50:45 phone, 1960s decor. Sounds extremely inconvenient. I'll be honest with you. I mean, it's fun for a second. No Wi-Fi. A retro phone book. You'll get Tetanus. Maybe polio's hiding somewhere in there. Yeah, and there's a chess board set up so you could try
Starting point is 00:51:01 to play. I mean, that's cool to see in a picture, but I'm not do that for a date night. Okay, so the question is, which of your favorite TV shows from 2020 would you want to stay in a themed room of? Well, I'll go to my favorite show, which was Ted Lassau. I think just being in London was cool.
Starting point is 00:51:19 I did that before. Yeah. So if I were doing that, what else? Mine's Yellowstone. I want to go to a Yellowstone-themed place. Or just go to a ranch. Right. And stay.
Starting point is 00:51:28 Yeah, that would be good. All right, what else? Okay, I have a little debate. Do you consider 12.01 a.m. early this morning or late last night? Well, that is easy. And anyone who disagrees with me the psycho killer, it is obviously night. Midnight is night.
Starting point is 00:51:45 12.1 is still last night. It doesn't become the next day until the sun starts to creep. But like, yeah. But if you're reporting the news and something happens at 12.1, then you say early this morning. No. The news always says this morning. They do. But they're wrong.
Starting point is 00:52:00 It's not morning until you see the sun. Oh, I agree with you. This is official by my brain. Until you see that. But no, 4 a.m.'s the morning and the sun's not out. Unless the sun's out, it's still nighttime in my mind and my heart. And that's what matters. Okay, well, Bobby settled the debate.
Starting point is 00:52:15 Thank you. There we go. Shout out to Luke Holmes, because he put up a really cool video thanking his fans for their support in 2020 because it allowed him to keep 21 members of his crew on payroll all year. So he was like, thanks for buying music, merchandise, listening to the radio. The number one thing that makes all this go around is you guys, the fans. My guys that you usually don't hear from, essentially everybody that I've had on payroll for the last year, just wanted to show their gratitude for you guys and say thank you to you guys, the fans. So then it was a montage of all of his employees saying thank you to the fans.
Starting point is 00:52:54 So I love that. That's cool. There you go. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Tell me something good. So a Massachusetts police officer named Matt Lima was called to a stop and shop grocery store days before Christmas because security said that two women didn't scan everything that they were actually putting into their cart. So they wanted to call him in for shoplifting. When he showed up, he heard their story and that they were just struggling to make ends meet and the food was for their kids' Christmas dinner. And so instead of arresting them for shoplifting, he gave them a $250 gift card. to buy groceries at a different store. Because obviously a little rough there at that one, but he just felt like it was the right thing to do.
Starting point is 00:53:45 That's awesome. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 00:57:20 APUS.org. Let's go over to Amy for the investigative morning corny. The morning corny. Why did the dinosaur cross the road? Why did the dinosaur cross the road? We have 90 seconds to figure it out. Go. Soros.
Starting point is 00:57:43 I'm thinking something with Soros, yeah. Like, he saws, uh, he saw Taurus. I thought it was Torex, T-Rex. Bronte. Oh, he saw T-Rex. He saw T-Rex. Something like T-Rex, like T-Rex, car wrecks. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:57:58 I like where your mind went. But, no other dinosaurs. Teradactyl. T-Ronosaurus. Stegasaurus. Why did the dinosaur cross the road? Say it again, Amy? Why did the dinosaur cross the road?
Starting point is 00:58:10 To get to the other, what's a word that sounds like side? To get to the other. Okay. Sassasaurus. When were they alive? Like what a... Prehistoric area? Pre-historic era?
Starting point is 00:58:21 To get to the other era. Pre-historic. History. Pre-historic. Why did the dinosaur cross the road? To get to the... To eat a plant? Freeway historic.
Starting point is 00:58:37 To get. Free historic. Because the prehistoric. Why did the dinosaur cross the road? Why did the dinosaur cross the road? I don't know, man. I don't either. The roar.
Starting point is 00:58:54 No. Dinosaur. I have nothing. Could it be something with sore? Like he was sore? It could be. Let's just go. Ten seconds?
Starting point is 00:59:05 Eddie, lunchbox, we don't have an answer, really. Yeah. So let me say, fall. Follow me on Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones. You start promoting that. We don't even have a good answer. Nothing. Just make something up, bones. It's not the answer.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Right. But let's just go with yours, because it was the best, because he saw T-Rex. T-Rex. That's so dumb. But whatever. Okay, Amy, go ahead. The morning corny. Why did the dinosaur cross the road?
Starting point is 00:59:33 Because he saw Torex. Why? Because the chicken wasn't born. yet. Oh my, that's... That is almost impossible. We would have never gotten to. You were too getting there.
Starting point is 00:59:46 I felt like when you were like, what era were dinosaurs? You got excited with like prehistoric and we didn't understand why you were getting excited. Yeah, we saw you lied up on prehistoric. We were like... Well, so you were at least headed the direction away from T-Rex.
Starting point is 00:59:57 Are we sure chickens were alive then? I don't know. That was the morning corny. Let's go over and talk. to Jeremy who is in Texas. Jeremy, what's happening? Hey, Mr. Bobby, how you doing? Pretty good, man.
Starting point is 01:00:13 I just wanted to say, man, I really like your show. Y'all are amazing. And, you know, when I listen to other radio stations, I would rather them turn the music on and stop talking. But when I listen to you guys, y'all just throw my day with joy every time y'all talk so y'all can play the music less, and I'd like to listen to y'all more.
Starting point is 01:00:29 And I had a question. Do you remember when you were on 96-7 and Chunky Poked a Flon at Elton John? And what? Chunky Poked a Flon at Elton John? What? I don't know. You don't remember that?
Starting point is 01:00:41 I don't understand what the words that you said. All we understand is Elton John. Say it again. Chunky poked a fun at Elton John. So when I was in like sixth grade, you and lunchbox were doing this thing, and I think y'all were on 967, and y'all had this thing going chunking pelt of flam at Elton John. You don't recall that? Chunky.
Starting point is 01:01:03 I don't know the words. He's using. But no, what does it mean? Break it down. Chunky? Chunking? Chunking, like you're throwing something. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:11 Ask lunchbox. I'm sure he would remember. Dude, I'm with Bobby on this. I don't know what you're saying in English. We done so many dumbstimes over the last year. You said chunking something at Elton John? I just wanted to give y'all a compliment. I love the show.
Starting point is 01:01:25 He gives up too. We've all given up. Was it JV. and Sandy? Inside Joe. Probably was. Hey, thank you very much for the call. We really appreciate that. I hope you have a great day.
Starting point is 01:01:37 Well, I appreciate you guys. Y'all too. All right, see you later. But that sounds like a good bit. I should revisit that. Chunking pieces of flaunt at Elton John? I don't know. And why?
Starting point is 01:01:46 Matt, in North Dakota. What's up, Matt? Hey, Bobby, big fan of the show here. Thank you. I'm asking for some relationship advice. Now, hold on. Let me hit this button. If you need advice, I shall give it.
Starting point is 01:01:57 It's Bobby Bones, world-class advice giver. All right. What do you need, bud? I've been dating this girl for about a year now, and I just recently moved long distance for work. And it started out pretty great, a lot of communication, but now it's kind of slowed down quite a bit. I'm initiating most of the everyday conversation,
Starting point is 01:02:19 and she's becoming more and more distant as it goes on. So what is the question? Should I keep working towards this, even though it is causing a little strain on my career? Yeah. Okay. it is to be of concern that she is starting to fall off a bit.
Starting point is 01:02:40 Now, that could be for many reasons. It doesn't have to be another dude. It can be that she's getting scared of the distance as well. So it is a bit concerning that's happening. This is what I would recommend that you do. Are you into this girl? Do you think this could be a long term,
Starting point is 01:02:54 possibly for everything? Yeah. My advice to you would be to have a conversation with her, to go, hey, I know, let's acknowledge that this is hard. Because I just had a long-distance relationship, and we had to do this. I'm speaking from experience here.
Starting point is 01:03:09 This is hard, but we are going to create an end plan because if the goal is in sight, it's easier to work toward it. If you're blindly in a long-distance relationship, just going, let's just see what happens. That ain't going to work. Maybe early on,
Starting point is 01:03:25 because again, it's a lot easier early on with things are exciting. But once the every day gets involved, and it isn't convenient to FaceTime. for an hour. That's when you have to go. Is it worth it? For me, it was absolutely worth it. We made a plan. There was a light at the end of the tunnel. It wasn't always easy, but we worked toward it. I would say you have that conversation with her. Hey, can you see this going long term? Because I can, and I would like to know if you could too. And if so, why don't we develop a plan? Maybe it's she moves to you.
Starting point is 01:03:53 Maybe it's you try to find a job back. Not sure what it is, but there has to be some end goal in an even distant sight. And if she agrees to that, I think that will help the relationship. And if she doesn't, it's time to not waste your time anymore. Oh, I like that. There you go. What do you think about that, Amy? Come on.
Starting point is 01:04:13 Sounds pretty good to me. Oh, thank you very much. Love it. Who can argue with that? Who can argue with that? How long have you guys been dating? How about a year now? Long enough.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Do you think you can marry her? Yes. Okay. There you go. At the end, have a conversation. Hey, I think one day I want to marry you. Let's have a goal as to how this is going to happen. And then if she's a bit like, eh.
Starting point is 01:04:38 The words, one day I want to marry you, if she doesn't want to marry you, that'll scare her off and it's handled. Absolutely. So then you know. All right, Matt. All right, thanks guys. Appreciate you, bud. See you later. It's Bobby Bones, world-class advice giver.
Starting point is 01:04:54 Thank you very much. I have a few things I want to talk to you guys about. Number one is I saw this crazy video on TikTok of a teenager wrecking into not one, but three parked cars. in a parking lot while his grandma was inside shopping. I saw this. You see it? Oh yeah. It's crazy. Oh, good. Crazy. So it was so crazy. It ended up getting picked up by the news. The video shows a teenager apologizing to the person recording the video for hitting their car.
Starting point is 01:05:20 After that, you see the team try to drive off before ramming into the back of a parked truck and then hitting another car. So it's like, oops, boom, oops, boom, oops, boom, just nailing them. Here is a clip from WKRG News in Alabama. Here you go. The start of the video, you see the unlicensed teenager apologizing to the woman taking the video. I'm sorry. I didn't meet you to this mom. You need to call your mom up here. Give me your insurance card.
Starting point is 01:05:45 I'll call the police. After that apology, he hops back into the SUV and tries to drive off. That's when the video takes a turn you have to see to believe. What the . The teenager ramming into not one, but two other cars in the lot. Crazy. Yeah. What were your thoughts when you saw it?
Starting point is 01:06:09 I mean, I thought he was on something at first. That was my first thought. Like, what's this kid on? He doesn't look right. This is strange. Then the second thought was the patience of the woman that was recording the whole thing. She was so patient with him. She's just like, I'm going to call the cops.
Starting point is 01:06:22 I don't know what's wrong with you, but this is not good. And then he hits the other car. She's just like, oh, man, what is wrong with you? Like, what's happening? That's a pretty crazy video. It's wild to watch. This big pieces of steel rammed. to each other. Yeah, he's driving a big truck. It's like a SUV, like a pilot, I think.
Starting point is 01:06:41 Once when I was playing baseball, I was probably 12 or 13 years old, a drunk driver drove into the ballpark, into the parking lot, and started smashing into cars. And our coach, he was our assistant baseball coach, took off running in the middle of the game, through the field, jumped the back fence, the outfield fence, jumped into the car window and started punching the guy in the face to get him to stop. And that's what, And that's how he stopped. The guy was so drunk, he may have been passed out behind the wheel. Wow.
Starting point is 01:07:11 And those two cars were just pinned together. But had the coach not jumped out, his name was Coach Charlie Nevels, started punching him in the face, like dragging him out of the car. Could have hit a kid. Yeah. Could hit anybody. But I just remember seeing the car just smashing into things. It was like crash up derby.
Starting point is 01:07:25 What a reaction from that coach. Immediately jumped out of the dugout, hauled butt through. I remember vividly. And everyone else just standing and watching? We were all just like, because when that car starts to hit, you're like, wow, I can't believe I'm seeing this. But he had the wherewithal to go right into it, man. There's a story, too, about a guy using a drone to send donuts to police officers to say thanks for their hard work during COVID crisis.
Starting point is 01:07:49 Or during the COVID crisis. His name's Alex from area, Pennsylvania, decided to send officers the tasty treats. He put a box of crispy cream donuts in a bag. He attached it to a drone and then flew it over. Dropped it off. Yeah, it's nice. Did they know it was coming? I feel like they might be like, what is that?
Starting point is 01:08:04 They shoot it down. Doo, do, do, do, do, do. So I like that story too. We do love our law enforcement here on this show. You know, earlier, before this break, I'd tease that Eddie did something that I don't know that he wanted us to know, but he had always said he wasn't going to do it. So Eddie, I'm going to stop talking and let you, and however you'd like, reveal what happened.
Starting point is 01:08:24 I'm a little ashamed to admit because I was very, very strong about this. When I became a parent, I knew that technology was going to change around me, and I was going to be dealing with technology things with my kids. and I always said that I'm going to stick to my guns when it comes to getting my kids a phone. Till they turn 18, was I going to get my kids their first phone. But as we got there,
Starting point is 01:08:46 you guys kept saying like, oh my gosh, you're going to change your mind, Eddie. There's no way that you can avoid this. You're going to want to get your kids a phone or have to get your kids a phone. Well, guys, Christmas came around. My wife and I decided we got my son a phone.
Starting point is 01:09:02 Wow. And he's 12 years old. It's an iPhone. Oh, wow. You know there's other options. Well, look, look, here's what we decided. And he's went hard. He's like, oh, go home, maybe.
Starting point is 01:09:12 Here's what we decided. We said that, my wife and I said, and he's like, you know what? He's really been asking for it. And that's not why we did it, but we said, we got to trust him. There's a point in our life where we have to say we trust him enough to give him this device. It's so scary that he has the world in the palm of his hands. It's secured and it's protected. anytime he has to Google stuff or look up things that aren't under the restrictions we put in there,
Starting point is 01:09:39 we get an alert on our phones and I have to approve it. So it's protected, but still scary. Best thing in the world is that if I need to talk to him right now, I can call him. I can text him right now while he's at school. Hey, bud, how's it going? That's pretty cool. What apps are you allowing? Instagram.
Starting point is 01:09:54 No, no, no, Instagram. He's not doing social media, anything like that. What apps were we allowing? It's just the regular stuff. He has iTunes. He can listen to music. He has Disney Plus on there. and things like that, he can text his friends.
Starting point is 01:10:05 But there's only a list of friends that we've allowed. If he wants to add a new number, we have to approve it. So it's pretty locked down, which he's not really cool with right now, but he's going to have to get over that because step one, he got a phone. Was he surprised to have a phone? Yeah. I mean, he just couldn't believe it that we got to that level. I think we were talking about it maybe, you know, earlier last year of like,
Starting point is 01:10:29 are you going to get your son a phone? And I said no and absolutely not. and he came to me, Dad, like, I want you to stop talking about that. But notice, I never talked about it after, like, July, because he was like, I want you to stop. You're embarrassing me. And my kids, my friends at school are, like, they have phones and things like that. Like, it's making me really upset.
Starting point is 01:10:47 So I respected it. Didn't talk about it anymore. Wow. And I asked him last night, are you cool with me telling everyone that I got your phone? He's like, absolutely. Tell everyone I got a phone. Does he have the internet browser, though? He does, but it's watched.
Starting point is 01:11:01 Yeah, it's restricted. Very restricted. He can get on Instagram through the internet and have your own account there. He does not have Instagram. Look, Bones, we're going to trust him with all this stuff. I think you should. Great job. I applaud you.
Starting point is 01:11:11 Are you shocked? No. You're not shocked at 12? No. No, it's a comment. At 12? I mean, Eddie, he told you all along you were going to be shocked and I'm right. Yeah, I mean, he's always right.
Starting point is 01:11:20 If Bobby tells you something's going to happen, it's going to happen. Good for you. I'm glad, though. Thank you. You're growing up as a parent. No, man. I mean, now my other kids are going to get it at like seven. The baby needs one.
Starting point is 01:11:29 The baby's going to get one right now. Family deal. Just say yes or no out loud. Do you think that a house can be haunted? Go. No. Not really. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:38 You guys didn't spend the nightwear. Three no's one yes. Yeah. A group of adults, they were exploring an abandoned property that was rumored to be haunted. One of them found a decomposing body in a freezer on the back porch.
Starting point is 01:11:51 That's not haunted. It's a murder scene. Police confirmed that the remains were human. Two days after the discovery, the house burned to the ground. Now police are investigating it. Okay. See, that's haunted.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Or is it someone that went, oh, no, they found out where the body is burned down the evidence. Haunted? These aren't ghosts. These are people doing this crap. Okay. You say what you want. We are. We just did.
Starting point is 01:12:13 You guys talk big game, but when it's time to go to scary places, you ain't going to go because you're worried it's haunted. No, I just really don't want to take time to drive up there and, like, leave and spend the night somewhere and be up all night. Lunchbox drove to Iowa, if you're new to the show and spent the night in the what house? Basilica, murder house, whatever it's called. I'm sure it's not right. And you swear what? There's spirits in there that mess with you and there's things move.
Starting point is 01:12:34 It's very haunted and weird and creepy and things happen. See, I'm not scared of ghosts or things haunted. I'm scared of heights. Like, that's mine. Yours, Amy? What's your fear? It can be anything. Mine's heights.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Spiders. Okay, good. Snakes. Okay, we had one. Stuff like that. Eddie? Editors? An intruder in the house.
Starting point is 01:12:55 That's a fear. Hey, man. scares me. I tell you, someone who's had their house broken into. I don't like it. It stinks. Isn't everybody scared about that? Isn't everyone in scared of it?
Starting point is 01:13:03 But I think a lot of people are scared of heights, but it's not their big fear. Like you're allowed to have a big fear that is your biggest fear. Oh, okay. So like it keeps you up every night. Oh, this is, I've had nightmares of this since I was a kid many times. All right. We all don't want an intruder. Right.
Starting point is 01:13:16 I don't want a spider on me, but I'm not going to freak out about it. I don't like it. So same thing. Lunchbox's yours? Snakes. I have nightmares. If I see it on TV, I change the channel or I close my eyes. Can't do it.
Starting point is 01:13:27 See them if I'm driving. I swerve because I'm scared they're going to jump through the engine. There is a squirrel. Nobody mentioned squirrels. There's a squirrel who is terrorizing people in Queens, including one lady who wound up bleeding all over the place when the squirrel attacked her. Okay, not funny. So people in this neighborhood are afraid to leave their homes because there are several aggressive squirrels,
Starting point is 01:13:47 and there have been several attacks. This one woman's bite wounds are healing after she was attacked by the... Are these squirrels on something? Like, did somebody put some meth out there? They could have, like, rabies, right? I was reading a story about... I mean, you have to get rabies shots, and I'm assuming if this happens. Yeah. But I was reading a story about a guy who, in America, had a drug warehouse,
Starting point is 01:14:06 and outside the drug warehouse, he had a pig that guarded it. But they always, it's a meth house, and they fed the pig meth all the time. Oh. And it was a mean pig. Wow. That's so sad. Yep. Yeah, it's a crazy story.
Starting point is 01:14:20 It's about a cop who went undercover inside a biker gang to bust a drug ring. Real? Yeah. He wrote a book, and they did a podcast. Yeah. But they messed up a pig. Which, they said the pig loved it. Yeah, I'm sure.
Starting point is 01:14:36 He parted hard. Oh, gosh. You know, one other thing I wanted to bring up, and this is something that Eddie brought to my attention. There is a band called C-Form. C-Forth, I think. C-Forth, excuse me. And I've met these guys before. Oh, have you?
Starting point is 01:14:48 Yeah. They're here in town. Did you think anything was up? Not in the way that you did. Quickly. Ray, play a clip of their song real quick. So it's a duo. They're from Australia.
Starting point is 01:15:01 They're a country group. And what do you think, Eddie? So they send a Christmas card over over the holidays and the record label did and their pictures on it. And I said, what? Like, this is very strange. It was like looking in a mirror. They have modeled Amy, this band,
Starting point is 01:15:17 to look just like me and Bobby. The Raging Idiots show her, Mike D. We have a comedy duo called The Raging Idiots and I obviously wear a darkroom glasses. And I wear a hat. Like a goofy hat. Do you think Seaforth has modeled their look after us? No.
Starting point is 01:15:30 I was like, guys, this is redact. You're not even hiding the fact that you're stealing our identity that we've created. No. Amy, do you see it? So here's what we're... So the guy wears glasses. Yeah, yeah. Dark green glasses.
Starting point is 01:15:43 Yeah. And he's sort of like maybe the darker haired guy, maybe darker skin. And then the white guy... Well, they can't control that. Has a beard and a hat. Well, if they were trying to model it, they'd flip it. I don't know, Eddie. Right?
Starting point is 01:15:57 Didn't that look like us, though, in the early days? No, I would never look at this and think y'all. Really? We're going to do, in wrestling, they do I quit matches. Where you wrestle, you lose, you quit. This is funny. I will invite Seaforth to the studio. We do some sort of game.
Starting point is 01:16:13 What we can figure out the game. If we win, they can never wear darkroom glasses or that hat again. I love this game. This is amazing. But if we win, no wait. But if we lose, they get to perform on the show. Oh, I was going to say, if we win, they're like done. Sorry, guys, can't make music anymore.
Starting point is 01:16:30 They have to go solo So here is my Offer to C4 You guys come in We'll figure out some sort of game to play But if you lose You can't wear the glasses Or the hat for one calendar year
Starting point is 01:16:47 365 days This is amazing You can wear glasses Just not dark rimmed ones And no hats And you can't wear a dopey hat You can wear a baseball cap But not the dopey hat like Eddie wears
Starting point is 01:16:56 Correct But if we If they win They get to perform on the show. Cool. I think it's a great deal. Scoobis, Steve, let us know if you can work that out. All right, cool. I'll work on it for you. Definitely. And they have to sign a contract. Ray, play me a little bit more of that music. Hey, the music's not bad. I mean, the music's great. But you know what? Guys, get your own
Starting point is 01:17:29 look. Yeah, get your own look. Yeah. It's pretty funny, huh? Doesn't Bones, when you saw the picture, what do you think? Not that, but then I thought it'd be a funny bet to make him not wear that stuff anymore. Morgan Wallen on the show tomorrow at this time. He'll be in. He'll be performing. He didn't even have to win a bet. Morgan Wallen comes in tomorrow to perform as part of the Friday morning conversation. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 01:17:53 With producer Eddie. Yeah, I'll make something good. Ben Berman, he's a grad student living in Philly, and he lives in a two-story apartment. He's had a lot of time in his hands because of the pandemic, but he cooks, and he likes making pizza. So the way he discovered was that he's going to start making pizzas, and he takes two days a week to make him. and then he started an Instagram page where he gives these pizzas out.
Starting point is 01:18:17 It's like he calls it winning the lottery, and he constructed a pulley system where when you win the lottery, the person goes to the bottom of the apartment complex, and outside the window, he uses the pulley system to let them have pizzas. So what do they pay for the pizzas? It's all charity. He's donated up to $30,000 of charity all because of this pizza project. Dang. It almost sounds like the soup Nazi on Seinfeld.
Starting point is 01:18:40 No soup for you? But like a happier version. He's happy. I saw where that soup Nazi guy makes a killing on cameo. I've met the soup Nazi guy. One of those comic cons or whatever, like a long time ago. But I think he does a lot of that too, where he goes out and meets people and everyone wants to take a picture with the soup Nazi. That's probably what you do at that point when you aren't getting any rolls anymore.
Starting point is 01:19:02 But I think he made a ton of money. And then how much? A million dollars in last year. Kevin from the office, Brian Baumgartner, made a million dollars. Just from Cameo? Uh-huh. Wow. You're on that.
Starting point is 01:19:15 Eddie. All right. There you go. That's what's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 01:22:44 Open doors to the future for you and your family with the help of American Military University. That's AMU. APUS.org. Didn't have the greatest last 36 hours or so. I'll be honest with you. Well, by the way, I have on the dumbest shirt today. I have like a turtleneck on. I was cold this morning. I grabbed a sweater. It had a tag on it. I put it on. It's a large.
Starting point is 01:23:10 I like to wear it something a little oversized these days. I thought it looked baggy. Well, and then I put it on and it has like a half a neck. It's like a mock net, a mock turtle neck. And I'm like, I'm tired,
Starting point is 01:23:20 I'm irritated. So I just wear it to work. You look like Steve Jobs though a little bit. Thank you. You're welcome. Thank you. No, don't go. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Totally. You look exactly like him. But I definitely, I'm glad you're addressing this because I was curious about it, but I didn't want to be rude. Well, I didn't know it had it. So if you watch right now live on Facebook.
Starting point is 01:23:37 Oh my. You can see me in a ridiculous shirt. But you know what? I don't care. I feel like you need a crucifix. That would kind of fit it a little bit. Like a priest. Yeah, a little bit.
Starting point is 01:23:46 Yeah. And that's the best part of the last 36 hours. Yeah. We had a, just I'll walk you through it. You know, who wants to hear anybody's sob story? We had someone close to my family die of COVID in the last couple days in the hospital. It happened so fast. Boom.
Starting point is 01:24:05 We have somebody in Caitlin's family who's. extremely sick with COVID right now. That's happening right now. And the thing is you can't get in to see them. They're just by themselves. Nobody can see them. It sucks. So we've had that happening. Yesterday, I get a call after I say dealing, we're continuing to deal with this now. But I get a call going, hey, from somebody that I work with going, hey, I've been exposed, not me, I have them, I've been exposed to COVID by somebody. And I'm like, wow, I was just with you a few days ago. So then we're running all over trying to get tested. And I was like, well, if she gets tested and she doesn't have it, I'm still going to get tested. If I don't have it, then I know I didn't get it from her.
Starting point is 01:24:45 And so we got tested. We were negative. Katelyn was negative. And she was negative. And we're like, all right, cool. We're clear. But I had to cancel my Opry show last night because of, you know, having to run. Because I don't want to go somewhere and get somebody sick. You know, I'm being, I would give myself an a minus in life in making sure that I'm only around people that are, taking care of themselves. But the COVID stuff happening like on the serious level has been awful. So that's happened.
Starting point is 01:25:15 Then I wear this turtleneck. Just caps it off. Aside from the turtleneck, watching the people stormed the Capitol yesterday, miserable. Made me sad. Couldn't believe it. And don't go like,
Starting point is 01:25:27 what do you mean you couldn't believe me? So I never in my life expected to see people break into the freaking capitol. And see Congress people and rushed and hidden away. Four people died. don't tell me how did you not imagine. I never imagined that really happening.
Starting point is 01:25:41 Yeah, there's awful rhetoric. But I've never seen anything like that yesterday. So I'm already having an awful day. I watched five hours of TV where at some point you had just got to turn it off, and I didn't. I don't do well at turning that off. And I was like, you know what? Arkansas's going to play basketball tonight. I've been excited for like three days.
Starting point is 01:25:58 We were playing Tennessee. They have a great team. They're ranked number nine in the country. Half time, we're leading third quarter. The second half, and then we lose it at the end. and like, and then I wear this turtleneck. It all comes back to the turtleneck. It comes back to this dumb turtle neck. You know, I don't hate it.
Starting point is 01:26:12 I'll be honest. I wore it and I felt ridiculous. But it's kind of a different style. Maybe this is my thing. Might be your new thing, yeah. But it has been a real ship show. You know? Of a day.
Starting point is 01:26:25 But a listener sent me this. Look at this. It's the office. I don't know which listener sent this, but it was great. Like, what are these dolls called? I guess it's Fisher Price. but of all the office characters. Yeah, they're cute and little figures.
Starting point is 01:26:39 So I saw that and smiled this morning, but it has been, that helps. It has been a rough last 36 hours. I do compartmentalize pretty well. When it's time to put the gloves on and come in and do this job, I can separate for the most part. But it has been a struggle, man. It has. And it will continue to be a struggle.
Starting point is 01:27:02 And I can't promise I'm going to be here every single day. I hope so. Oh, things don't get worse. But that's it. Just wanted you guys to know what was going on in my life. Not going to continue to talk about it. But I will do the news now. Amy, anything you'd like to say?
Starting point is 01:27:16 I just feel really bad for ever. I just want us to still keep hope. Even in times like these, I think it's good to know that we have hope. I feel bad for anybody that has been directly there and affected by it. Where? In the capitol. All they're talking about COVID, the COVID stuff with me. Are you talking about that?
Starting point is 01:27:35 Sorry, that's where, sorry, my brain is just, I spent my whole drive-in talking to my husband trying to understand what's wrong with people and like what's happening. So it was just like very much on my brain. But yeah, COVID, I think we just are doing the best we can to stay safe. And I'm very, very sorry to hear about your family and even Caitlin's. Yes. The crazy thing is that you just can't, you can't get in the hospital. I know. It's terrible. So there they are alone.
Starting point is 01:28:02 Can't get in. There's not. Somebody that you love, you can't even go to the hospital. hospital and be with them. And so, yeah, it's terrible. That being said, hey, let's do some news. That's my turtleneck. Let's do it. Bobby's Big. Story. I'll mention this. You heard I was upset about it, but the U.S. Capitol building invaded for the first time since the war of 1812. I'm sure you saw it. I'm sure you watched it. I'm sure you were shocked by it. There are enough news channels talking about it where we don't have to, but if we didn't acknowledge it, then you would be like, are they even real humans?
Starting point is 01:28:33 and yes we are. Another story. An airline passenger punches a woman after her kids won't stop kicking their seat. Oh boy. And listen, I've been irritated too. You get a little kid, dunk, dunk, dunk, dunk.
Starting point is 01:28:47 I never have the guts to turn around and go, hey, would you stop your kid? I do have the cowardice to just look out of one eye and be like, look through the crack of the seats. Like, and hopefully they notice me noticing. I am a coward like that.
Starting point is 01:29:02 Yeah. But I never actually say anything. A woman on a flight to Oregon was arrested after punching a woman seated behind her because the lady wouldn't stop kicking her seat. Yes. It is annoying. The lady's kids? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:16 Yeah. Did I say that? Because the lady's kicking it. Well, who knows at this point? It doesn't matter if your seat's getting kicked. What do you do? 29-year-old Dadrina Walker Williams was on a Spirit Airlines flight to Portland on Sunday. Two little kids behind her wouldn't stop kicking the seat.
Starting point is 01:29:30 One was three, one was seven. She claimed she asked the mom to handle it more than once, but the mom ignored her. So, she waited for the plane to land, which, by the way, takes the federal offense down. Yeah. You fight on a plane. Because you're not doing it in the air. That's trouble. She grabbed her luggage from the overhead bin and then attacked the mom.
Starting point is 01:29:49 Nice. I don't know about nice. No, she got her luggage first. She landed two or three punches. The woman ended up with injuries to her head and lip. She admitted to it telling the cops, hey, sometimes you just got to do what you got to do. Wow. She also claimed the mom hit her first and punched her on the shoulder, but no one else saw that happen. I claim that too. I don't understand. Well, no, I do. She has anger issues and she doesn't deal with her feelings.
Starting point is 01:30:13 But I'm telling you, when someone keeps kicking your seat, you get into a different, there are two, I only have a couple real ragey things that I feel. I'm not a ragey guy. I don't get loud. I don't yell, shake things. But when people cut me off in traffic, I'm, I'm not. I'm not a ragey guy. I don't get loud. I don't yell, shake things. But when people cut me off, in traffic, I'm, able to control that, but I get ticked. People cut in line if I'm somewhere. And it's not even about me in line. It's like, we've all been waiting. Yeah. And you are disrespecting all of us that have stood here in line to wait for whatever. That upsets me.
Starting point is 01:30:45 And then someone on an airplane kicking a seat. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's the thing. I'm not really upset at the lady that punched. She shouldn't punch the lady. But, I mean, the mom really needs to control her kids. That's a huge thing for me. If my kids are kicking a seat, I'm like, stop that right now.
Starting point is 01:30:59 You got to understand there's someone in front. That's sitting there feeling that. And they don't know. The kids are just kicking because they have no idea. Yeah, but you should never punch somebody. I get it, but still, I'm a little angry at that parent that didn't say anything. I love a butt still on an absolutely situation that doesn't deserve a butt still. Right.
Starting point is 01:31:14 But still. A woman in Mississippi had a dream on Saturday night that her husband cheated on her. And when she woke up, she stabbed him several times. Oh, did he? He had surgery, and it looks like he's going to be okay. She was arrested for aggravated domestic assault. Oh. Even if you have a dream that's one.
Starting point is 01:31:31 100% seemingly real? Is this a dream? Again, that's another example of not knowing how to properly handle your feelings. This is not simply not knowing how to properly handle your feelings. Oh, yeah, she was angry. This is being insane. Apparently the dream was so real when she woke up. She grabbed a knife and stabbed her and did the stabbing while he was sleeping.
Starting point is 01:31:51 He needed surgery. He's going to be okay. She was arrested for aggravated domestic assault. So stay together or no? Probably he knows what he got himself into. I'm really on that side of things now. He knew all along. There you go.
Starting point is 01:32:03 That's the news. Bobby's Big. Story. Coming up, the nugget eating. These folks have said they are going to break the world record for nugget eating. This woman broke it. She did in 60 seconds. She ate 16 nuggets.
Starting point is 01:32:22 And they said, that ain't bad. I can do that. So I'm not going to make you guys break the record. But for any over 10, I'm giving them 10 bucks. Except for Amy any over eight, you get $10. I need to stop drinking my coffee because I'm like a room in there. The competitors are moving to their table now. Who's eating?
Starting point is 01:32:44 Me? Lunchbox. Oh, Scoba Steve is eating. I'm eating as well, yes. And Amy is eating. I don't really feel a part of the competition. Why? I don't know because I'm over here.
Starting point is 01:32:53 I think Scooby just kind of socialish. You want to sit in that chair. I can sit here on my knee. I don't know. It's okay. I just, you know, you have to have that competitive feel. I'm saying if you want to be up here with the men let's go. No, I don't want to get too close to you. It's cool.
Starting point is 01:33:05 Scoob and Lunchbox are sitting on the stage with the table. That chairs high. You can watch on our Facebook page, Facebook.com slash Bobby Bone Show. There is a Guinness World Record holder. She in 60 seconds ate 16 nuggets. She? She, yeah. By the way.
Starting point is 01:33:21 And so I told the show. Oh, these are bigger than I remember. But it's what she had. This was the exact ones in the video, too. 100%. Yeah. Oh yeah, I know. I mean, I just don't know that I've ever ordered them. So when you're finished with a nugget, I need you to go, finish, ah, open your mouth, go to the next nugget. Whoa, whoa, whoa, that's going to take so much time. It'll take a split second.
Starting point is 01:33:39 Finish, that's it. You just have to open your mouth so we know what you ate the nugget. Yeah. We have one minute. If you have your ninth nugget, you get $10, Amy, and for every nugget after eight. Okay. The guys get $10 for every nugget after 10. Okay.
Starting point is 01:33:53 Are you guys? Making special rules. Come on, let's go. You guys ready to go. Ready out. You have one minute starting in five. Lunchbox, do not eat it early. I'm just looking it.
Starting point is 01:34:03 Four. It's getting that taste. Three. Go. Alright, one minute's on the clock. Scuba is chewing. Oh, he's one down. Oh, scuba, wow.
Starting point is 01:34:15 Scoob's got the water. Amy's eating about a third of one nugget. Two nuggets down for scuba. It's so gross. Sounds like a dog eating food. You're at 40 seconds left, guys. Lunchbox, how many nuggets have you had? One.
Starting point is 01:34:32 Three. Scuba's got three down. Amy, where are you? Still on the first one? Oh boy. They're hard to swallow. Amy's choking. Four.
Starting point is 01:34:43 You're disgusting. This sounds so gross. There's a lot happening in these nuggets. You can actually chew off microphone guys. Yes. Please. Let's do. 15 seconds.
Starting point is 01:34:56 Five, dude. Eight, seven, six. Six. Four. Three. Three. Two. And there it is.
Starting point is 01:35:10 Oh, man, I'm a duck now. That's much harder than you think. Everybody stopped. Let's go to scuba who led. Yeah. In 60 seconds, you got how many? It was six and a half. Six and a half nuggets.
Starting point is 01:35:20 That's pretty impressive. Lunchbox? Three. Amy? One and a half. Man, let me tell you. There's way more to those nuggets than I thought. Yeah, I tried her strategy because I watched the video and it seemed like she took a bite and swallowed,
Starting point is 01:35:36 to bite and swallow, so she only took two bites per nugget, but I couldn't, I tried to bite it and swallow it and get stuck in my throat. It's tough because the breading, it's hard to really swallow because of that. Yeah, but she was good. Like, she would just, whir-h, I'm like, it's good, but you're pretty good at eating. Thank you. I appreciate it. I'm a buffet champion kind of guy. Have you ever done any sort of competitive eating contest? No, I just grew up in a house of four kids, so you had to eat as fast as you could to get more food. So I think it's just in me to eat fast. Oh, don't. Oh, my good. You have three nuggets. You only ate three knuckers.
Starting point is 01:36:07 Oh, no, no, no, no, no, you suckers. So scuba, as far as her eating 16 in 60 seconds? Very impressive. Harder than you thought? Much harder than I thought. I thought for sure I could at least get down 10. And I'm pretty satisfied with six and a half, but yeah, that's a pretty impressive 16 in a minute. All right, tomorrow we'll run it back.
Starting point is 01:36:30 Try it again. None of us got any money. That's true. The only winner here was me. Got a bit? Got a good bit out of it and got it pay no cash. Dang it. All right, we'll set the table back up and get all the nuggets out of here.
Starting point is 01:36:43 Let me take Betty from Oklahoma City who was on the phone. Betty, hello, you're on the air. How are you? Oh, good morning, studio. Morning. For Bobby. Go ahead. Bobby, in light of everything that happened yesterday,
Starting point is 01:36:58 are you still interested in running for Governor of Arkansas someday? Of course. I don't let bad things affect me. If anything, I get, I feel more called into public service. But, you know, we talked about that last segment and didn't want to spend a lot of the show talking about it. But, you know, I watched it yesterday and was like,
Starting point is 01:37:18 it was just really sad. I didn't even know how to think about me is the weird thing. I thought about it is not a good day for our country. But yes, you know, when I see any sort of struggle, I always go, man, can I actually help this? And I do think I can. But I appreciate that question. I appreciate you listening.
Starting point is 01:37:34 So would you be interested in running for president? Isn't it after that? You know, that's just a lot. Baby stuff? I'm interested in whatever way, politics are not, that I can help people in a way that I feel like they haven't been helped. I feel like I come from a place of empathy
Starting point is 01:37:51 more than your normal politician who probably grew up with money. You know? All great. Thank you. All great. Thanks for the encouragement from each of you. Have a good day, Betty. All right.
Starting point is 01:38:03 See you later. I think you have a voter, maybe right there. Well, if she's in Oklahoma City, I don't think she can be a voter. Yeah, I don't think she can vote for you. For president, guys. No, no, no, no, no, don't start that. Nobody picked that story up.
Starting point is 01:38:13 No, no, no, no. I'm not talking about it anymore. I'm not dealing with it. I was referring to what she said. Fuck you. No. Okay. Have you read Obstacle as the way?
Starting point is 01:38:25 Yeah, of course. Okay. I just finished it. Yeah, it's great. It's pretty easy read. I kind of wanted to send it to everybody over there yesterday. I literally just finished it yesterday and some this morning
Starting point is 01:38:36 and like a tail in part and I thought all these people including President Trump need to read this book that book meant a lot to me personally the obstacle is about how things aren't worth anything unless you have to go through something to get them and like it's not an obstacle really
Starting point is 01:38:53 it's the path you're supposed to be on so don't see it as obstacle because it's the way and you don't understand things without going through a struggle my last book was basically was ish about that So, yeah, it's a great book. Read it long time ago. Love it.
Starting point is 01:39:08 Lisa in Illinois, you are now on the show. How are you? Great. Good morning, studio. Morning. I actually am the one that actually sent you the office figuring. Oh, look at that. I have them on my desk now.
Starting point is 01:39:22 She sent me the Fisher Prize little office. You know what? A little splash of positivity in my day. I still haven't had the greatest couple days. Today is not the best day either. But you know what? I really appreciated that. That made me feel good.
Starting point is 01:39:32 Yeah, you put positivity into my day too because I was trying to track to see if you received them and I got nervous that you weren't going to get them. I actually ordered them all the way back in August when my friends put it on Facebook that they put out a line of office figurines and I thought Bobby needs a set. Well, and they came with the exact right time. Me too. Thank you very much. I hope you have an awesome day and thank you for calling and listening to the show. Thanks a lot, Bobby. Bye.
Starting point is 01:39:57 Bye-bye. Feel free to call into this show. to talk about anything but politics. Yeah, right. No, I think people need that escape. I found myself, even like you were saying, Bobby, watching too much about it. So I went and took the dog out for a walk.
Starting point is 01:40:14 And then there's this one trail back behind my house where you can see right into one of my neighbor's TVs. You can't help it. And they had it on and they have this massive TV. So then I stopped and stood there and was watching through the window. You watched their TV? It was like my neighbors had a big window. Yeah, they were going to be.
Starting point is 01:40:30 bed they're naked, but still I watched. Because the window was huge. What you want me to do? No, it was like, you can't escape it almost. Because there I was walking the dog, trying to watch more because there was footage I hadn't seen. And then I was like, no, no, no, we need to separate ourselves so we can be that break for people. Yes, thank you.
Starting point is 01:40:49 But to not acknowledge our feelings would have been wrong to. Exactly. You guys call us 87777 Bobby. 877-77 Bobby. we'll grab some of your calls. We'll do that. If you missed it, Eddie is doing a ridiculous diet now.

Starting point is 01:44:55 com. Amy, I'm going to come to you in a second. I'll let you read that story about the boy on the bus that you saw online. Yes. You sent it to me last, do you know what I'm talking about?
Starting point is 01:45:08 Yes. Yes. That's why I was telling you get it ready. Oh, I didn't hear you say that. She was just like, what are you talking about? Deer and head lights. Oh, man, she, did you see a ghost? I'm going to come over to you a second.
Starting point is 01:45:21 No, guys. Guys, this is my favorite story that I've seen. online in a very long time. Now she remembers it. Okay, good. Let me go over to Isaiah in Kentucky. Isaiah, you're on the Bobby Bone Show. What's up, buddy? Hey, bud. I'm a huge fan. How are you going doing? Pretty good, man. What can we do for you? Awesome. So I'm a big music fan. I love country. And I just have a question, what takes a song so long to get on the radio as like a hit? because this artist can release it like seven months previous
Starting point is 01:45:51 and it won't hit radio for a while. It is a terrible, extremely long process of a song being deemed a single and then having a body like a record label to have people to promote that single and slowly get it moved up a chart. The country music chart is, you know, talking about a fraud. That's what it is. It's an old system where they say, okay, we'll do this song this week and do this song next week, and we'll put them in shifts and let them. It's all a bunch of crap, but it's still the biggest way that music gets heard. And I wish the system were better, but it's not. But it takes so long because you have to have a song and you have to have people go out and convince radio stations individually to play this song. And then you have record labels going, well, we're not going to promote this song so much. We'll let you have this number one. We'll let you have this number one, this next week. And it's just not a completely accurate, fair.
Starting point is 01:46:47 system, but tis life. But that's why it takes so long because it is a, it's a very political system, even playlists on streams. Like if you don't know the guy doing the playlist, they probably ain't going to put you on there. But again, tis life, you know, but that's why it takes so long. And it's why a lot of people don't get a chance to get heard because they don't have a record label or a body of folks that are calling radio stations going, hey, can we get this added? Can we get it moved up this week? Can you add more spins this week and all the spins accumulate
Starting point is 01:47:21 and then that's what affects the chart. But that's what it is, basically. It sucks, but it's getting a bit better, but not much. I got you. That answered it, Bobby. Just support the artist you like, man. Just stream them, you know, buy their merch if you can. Yeah, I'm not talking about the superstars
Starting point is 01:47:40 because they're doing just fine, but, you know, that really helps, especially now when artists aren't making money. I know you think, not you. Isaiah specifically, but I know most people will hear someone with a song on the radio and go, man, they must be loaded. I got news for you. Like 20 artists, max are loaded. A lot of these people that have a couple hits, they don't have a lot of money right now because any money they're making, they're putting back into their career and they're touring and their stage sets and they're
Starting point is 01:48:06 actually hiring a band for the first time and they're able to put people on insurance. So, you know, unless you're up in that, you know, Florida Georgia line, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldine category, it's hard to just go out, you'll be okay. So support your local artists, especially if there's somebody that's independent. If you love them, like show them, you love them. All right, Isaiah, I appreciate you, bud. You guys have a good one.
Starting point is 01:48:28 All right, see you later. Brianna in Minnesota. Hello, Brianna. Hi, Bobby. I just wanted to say, this is Brianna in Minnesota. You wanted anything but politics today. So I just wanted to tell you that my New Year's resolution was less politics, more music.
Starting point is 01:48:48 So I started exploring, like, the new country artist, and I found your show, and I just wanted to tell you, I absolutely love it. Oh, thanks. That's very nice of you. Who are your favorite art? If you had to list your top three favorite country artists right now, who would it be? Right now.
Starting point is 01:49:03 Well, I just heard you talking to the guy previously, and you said, you know, support the not-so-famous artist, but I'm really kind of girl-crushing on Miranda, right now. I just, oh gosh, she just, she's in my wheelhouse, totally. And I really like Jason Aldeen. I listened to a lot of metal before, so he's kind of like, kind of gives me that metal edge without being so metal. There's definitely some distorted rock guitar in Al Dean. Yeah. Yeah. Give me one more. It's fun, though. One more? Oh, one more. One more. One more new one.
Starting point is 01:49:48 I'm trying to like reach into the deep. It can be old? I really like Chris. It can be old. You can be whatever you want it to be. Yeah, I'm just like who are your favorite artist right now. Right now, well, okay, this isn't old, but I mean, I grew up on the old, old country, but I really like Chris Stapleton.
Starting point is 01:50:04 He kind of, he's kind of that rockabilly kind of Americana genre that kind of just, it kind of speaks to me. Yeah, me too That's such a cliche No, I don't think That's cliche at all Because I mean, that's the point Of his music and country music
Starting point is 01:50:21 And I don't think there's anything wrong With three picks What I was meaning by that is Hey listen Miranda and Jason They're gonna be fine Financially Yeah, they are They weren't always
Starting point is 01:50:29 They had to have people support them When they were on the come up too But same with Chris But my point is You should support them But also if you're wondering Like hey what do I do You can support your local artists
Starting point is 01:50:40 You can support any artists Other people that maybe aren't on the radio Yeah. Briaa, I appreciate you calling us. Thanks for listening. And if you ever want to talk to us, just hop back in and get on the phone and say what's up, okay? Okay. Have a great day. All right, bye-bye. Amy, let's talk about this story because I did see it online too, but I wasn't going to bring it out because it's not really my... And I wouldn't bring this out. I don't know. Then I'm bringing it up. And then I want to know, like, I want to hear about you guys as boys, what you would have done. So I'm reading a story that was put online. My daughter started her period on the bus ride home today and a boy a year older than her that she doesn't really know, pulled her aside and whispered in her ear that she had a stain on the back of her pants and gave her his sweater to tie around her way so she could walk home off the bus. She was kind of embarrassed and originally said, it's okay, but the boy insisted and told her, I have sisters, it's all good. If you are this boy's mom, I want to say thank you and you are raising him right.
Starting point is 01:51:33 We hear so many bad things about today's youth and I wanted to share something positive. So I just thought that was so great. And then I feel like Bobby, you were raised by all women. Women. And around girls. So, and this is obviously a very thoughtful move. So just curious, at that age, let's say you're in middle school on the bus. Like, how would each of you have handled this? I wouldn't know what it was.
Starting point is 01:51:56 No. Like, I was raised by girls, but I was the oldest and I was a boy. I didn't know. I mean, listen, I thought a baby came out at the belly button until way later than I should have. Last year. I would have thought she was injured. I don't I would just wouldn't have known Yeah
Starting point is 01:52:08 So I wouldn't have been smart enough to know even how to help I thought that story's great It's a good kid You know a lot of time The actions of kids reflect Just wonderfully on their parents That a kid once crashed into my car to movie theater Could have got away with it easily
Starting point is 01:52:23 Wrote a note hey I'm really sorry Call my mom she'll take care of all this And I thought what a great parent That made that kid because the mom wasn't with a kid Same with this Thought it was great You guys Oh no I'd probably make fun of her
Starting point is 01:52:35 And all that I mean I'm being honest like at that age, not very cool. I was. Oh, I mean, there was a girl in middle school. She started in sixth grade and we followed her down the hall laughing at her. See, I wouldn't have done that. That's awful. I still remember to this day.
Starting point is 01:52:47 You know what? She probably does too. Yeah, well, we were in the cafeteria and she went running to the bathroom and we followed. Yeah. Do you regret it? No, I mean, we're in sixth grade. It's funny in sixth grade. But we have a chance to do different by.
Starting point is 01:53:03 So regret it. Yeah. Oh, yeah, I regret it. No, you don't lie. If not, it just makes me. Evaluate yourself. Right, because you have children yourself and now you're the one raising them and you're like, oh, I got no big deal.
Starting point is 01:53:15 I expect sixth grade boys to probably make fun of that. But what that kid did though in the bus? Like, that's pretty cool though, right? That's what I want to like that. To expect. I mean, I wouldn't have given up my sweatshirt because then it's going to get a stain on. You can wash it. No, that's not true either.
Starting point is 01:53:30 Yes, it's not true at all. Either. But okay. Thank you for sharing that. I think it's a wonderful story. It is. Thanks. Hit us up if you want.
Starting point is 01:53:38 877-Bobby. Don't forget tomorrow's show. Morgan Wallen in studio, performing live music, catching up with our guy, Morgan Wallen. So don't miss it. All right. Thank you guys.
Starting point is 01:53:51 Are you doing many conference meetings on the computer still? Yes, Zoom. Constantly. I have one today. Or Microsoft. Sometimes the Microsoft people, which are a lot of people in our company, I'm like, why are we not doing this on Zoom?
Starting point is 01:54:05 I don't get it, but okay. Here's a big mistake that you don't want to make you for making a video conference call, sitting on an unmade bed. Sometimes I will do that. One time, I didn't know I was being recorded on video. They were like, hey, we're going to do this podcast. We'll take the audio from the video.
Starting point is 01:54:23 I'm like, oh, I go. So you just stayed in bed? Chilling, covers all messed up. And they were like, okay, we're going to load this video up. I said, wait, no. I said yes. Afterward. It's just a nightmare.
Starting point is 01:54:34 Oh, I always try to make sure my surroundings. findings are okay. Yeah, I don't think about that as much. I do have a spot now that I go. We've kind of set up to look like a fake little bookshelf. Oh, cool. We've, it's totally. That the one with all your books on it? Yeah, it is now. Before I moved, we had a real bookshelf. Now we just kind of built a wall and put stuff on it. Tomorrow, Morgan Wallen will be on the show performing. Thank you guys for listening. At Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram. That's me. See you guys tomorrow. Bye guys. Come on Bobby Bones show. All right. If you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the drill. Expensive monthly fees.
