Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care.
Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier.
They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live,
then ship everything directly to your door.
no guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer.
And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple, nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron.
Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed.
If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense.
Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis.

You're listening to a podcast.
So maybe you're doing something else too,
like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin,
saving places you like without thinking you'll even get them.
Because that's what house hunting has become.
But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing.
It's built to help you find and own a home.
Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents,
which means when you find a place you love,
you've got a real shot at getting it.
Redfin helps turn saved listings into real addresses.

The Bobby Bones
post show pre-show.
So the first thing that I want to talk about
is
Eddie
not living up to one of his promises.
So
back in the day,
hey, get Morgan number one on the phone.
Will you, Raymond?
Oh, great, great.
Would you call her, please?
So Morgan number one
no longer works on the show,
but she ran the show
for a long time.
now she works for me over in a different part of the world.
She was with me the last couple days.
We're shooting Idol.
And so she was very instrumental in us winning a CMA Award.
She put together a lot of the packet, the project, the sound that gets submitted off.
Oh, yeah.
And I know being with her the last couple days, she was like, oh, I hope we win the CMA Award.
And we were, we went, we won.
You know, we are the national winner of the CMA Award for radio.
I'm very excited about that.
But Eddie, you told Morgan number one what?
Yeah, I would say about maybe a month ago when we were nominated,
I said, you know what, Morgan number one,
since you worked so hard at this and you were part of the team when we won this thing,
if we win it, like, I'll give you my award.
We already have a CMA.
We won one a couple years ago.
So I was like, I'll give you the actual award.
The big fancy trophy.
Correct.
Because there are only four of them that are coming.
Yes.
It's for the people that are up.
It's me, Amy, Lunchbox, and you.
And then you want to know what changed my mind?
I was Googling stuff and randomly Garth Brooks,
a picture of Garth Brooks came out with four like CMA awards one night that he sweeped.
I was like, how cool does that look?
Garth has like four awards.
Then I started thinking like I could have two awards in my bedroom right there next to where I sleep.
So I started thinking like maybe one, she forgot that I said that.
And two, I'm like, I bet you you know what?
Bobby could probably call the CMA and ask him to get her one.
I'm not going to do that.
I'm not going to ask for an extra trophy.
Because, one, they're big and fancy.
Yeah.
And two, I would ask for one for Morgan number two, for Mike D, for Ramundo, for Hillary.
By the time we got eight trophies coming at you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So if you said to her, you would give her that award.
I did.
And I was kind of just like, I really didn't.
I didn't know we were going to win or not.
And it's just kind of one of those things like, tell you what, girl, we win, I'm going to give you my trophy.
And then here we go.
Do you feel like she took that and thought you were telling the truth?
Yeah, I think she's taking me serious.
She hasn't asked for her yet.
Well, because she didn't know we won.
We were together yesterday and she's like, hey, I think Carrie just called the studio.
I wasn't in that studio.
I was in Milwaukee.
So you're calling her now?
So there's no chance I can hope.
She's on the phone right now.
Yeah, here she is.
Let's turn her up.
There she is.
Morgan, number one.
Morgan.
Hi.
Hey, Eddie says that he told you that if we won the CMA that he was going to give you his trophy.
He did.
That's true.
I almost texted him.
but I didn't want to seem too eager.
But is that still a thing?
Is he going to do it?
Well, we're just talking about that.
Yeah, we're talking it out.
And when he said that to you,
did you feel he was, you know, speaking from his heart of me and genuine about it or just kind of kidding?
I think the first time, I was like, okay, yeah, Eddie.
But then he mentioned it again.
Day, he came back again.
I'm so stupid.
He did a follow-up.
So what did he say?
What did he say to you, Morgan?
It was in a group text, and he said, hey, remember, if we were,
win you get that trophy. And so then I'm like, okay, this is real. He is it in writing?
That's in writing? It's in a text, yeah.
I think all you guys saw the text, right? Yeah. Go ahead, Morgan. I went up. Sorry.
And so then you felt like that was real?
Yeah, I don't tend to get my hopes up, but when I saw that, I was like, okay, he's serious.
And then I was actually just talking about with my roommate this morning of, hey, I think
I'm actually going to have to find a place to put the CMA. So my heart's set on it. Is it not
happening, Eddie?
Well, so that's what we were just talking about,
is that Eddie said that he told you that it was yours,
and then now he's feeling like he wants to keep it for himself.
Yeah, because it'd be cool.
It'd be cool number two, it would be cool to have two trophies, right?
In your room, I'd be like, wow, look, we're a two-time CMA winner.
How cool is that?
I'll never forget that my entire life.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I think the point of you saying it could be mine
was because I really helped put that package together for the CMA
submission. So I thought you were recognizing like, oh, you might deserve one too. But hey,
if you want to go back on your word and you keep it, that's understandable, I guess.
Oh, what are you going to do, Eddie? I could hear her go, okay, I can feel the disappointment.
Kind of sucked out over. I heard that too. Eddie, well, here's another thing, Bones. I just thought
about it. Has my name on it. Do you really want something with my name on it, though?
That's her. Oh, okay, I do have the text up here that Eddie sent Morgan number one. Good job putting
that packet together, fam. If we win,
I'll give you my award. And then
Morgan replies with a red heart, which meant
like sincere appreciation, like love.
Dang it. So
here we are.
Eddie, you have to give it to her.
Right? No, Eddie, don't do it. Don't
do it. Don't you dare, dude. You're crazy. As your name on it.
Like, there's a lot of people that
put that packet together, so you'd have to give it, I mean,
what are you going to do, chop it up in pieces and give it to them?
No, she understands, she's part
of it. She has it in her heart.
And we can make your replica.
Okay, no, we can't do that.
Morgan, number one, did you feel honestly that you were going to get that trophy if we won?
After the second time, I felt about 85% that I was going to get the trophy.
I never, like, tie my heart completely to something is going to happen.
But I thought he was being sincere about it, and it would likely happen.
Eddie?
Yeah, I was definitely being sincere about it.
I'm just telling me that picture of Garthbrook's got me with him, like, four CMAs.
Okay, let me throw this at you.
Yeah.
Remember when a couple people have done it.
Garth Brooks gave his, I think, Grammy to Hootie.
He did?
Or maybe his American Music Award?
He left it on the stand and was like,
this is for Hootie.
They deserve it more than I do.
Wow, okay.
That's kind of cool.
So that's a Garth thing that Garth did
where he gave it over.
That would be cool of you to do.
I didn't see that in Google images.
Two, I think John Mayer, when he won the Grammy,
he broke it in half and gave half of it to Alicia Keys.
Oh, you can have it.
Could we do that?
You could saw it in half.
You just bust it.
Just break it in half and give her a piece.
her half and you keep half.
I'm down with that.
We break a CMA.
Eddie, let me ask you this.
Eddie, okay, ready?
So you have the CMA.
What if we break it in half
and we give you half and her half?
I like it.
Okay, Morgan number one.
Would you like me to break it in half
or would you
to keep the CMA award together or no?
I'd say let's not break it in half.
Okay, this is from the Bible.
This is from the Bible.
What do you mean?
Remember the baby?
Yeah.
He's like, okay, we have the baby.
Tell us.
Tell us.
Tell us.
I'm going to cut the baby in half and give it to each of you.
And the, yeah, that's right.
And the person who said, no, you know what, it's my baby.
I would rather, I love the baby.
I would rather go to them.
And the baby, Eddie.
She failed.
No, you failed.
You were willing to cut the baby in half.
Oh, that's not the right answer.
No.
Dang it.
Dang.
I thought I was being the better person to cut it in half.
Okay, all right.
Don't do it, Eddie.
I mean, honestly, I do have one already.
Oh, my gosh.
I feel like it'd be greedy.
me. And it's a team effort. And I think I said her specifically because she did put a lot of work
into it and she's no longer here. She has no chance to win another one. Here you go. I wanted to pull it up
exactly. The judgment of Solomon is a story from the Hebrew Bible in which King Solomon of Israel
ruled between two women both claim to be the mother of a child. Solomon revealed their true
feelings in a relationship suggesting they cut the baby into each one would receive half.
The woman who said, no, I would rather not. One woman said I'd take the baby in half. Well,
let's split it. Another woman said, no, you know what, rather than cut the baby in half.
She can just have it.
And Solomon said, you that decided not to cut the baby in half, you love the baby more, and you get the baby.
Right, right, right.
But that was my point.
One, one, we're not calling, it's not a baby.
No, no, but it's a love.
It's a love of something.
But two, Morgan, number one was saying, don't cut it in half and give me the whole trophy.
No, no, no, no, no.
What she said was she just wants the trophy to be as pure and intact as it is, who never gets in.
Like the baby.
She cared more about the trophy.
How about that?
Dude, what, what a great, learn from the Bible.
put into everyday use right here.
What about split custody?
You know, one month it's at Morgan One's house
and then one month it's at Eddie's house.
No, no, no.
It was my word.
I said it.
Where do you lean right now on percentage-wise?
50-50.
Okay, you're going to think about it then.
50-50 for sure.
Okay.
I mean, because I still want it,
but I did say I would give it to her.
Well, update us.
Talk it over.
When do those trophies come in?
Not for like a month and a half.
We have time then.
Up for the end of the year.
Okay.
Okay.
Morgan, how, we haven't talked.
to you in like forever how are things going with bobby they're going really well we just got back
from milwaukee and that was really fun we i think we all enjoyed that city a lot so it's been really good
i get to wake up and the sun's already up um yeah i know we're talking about that i'm just loving it
how she doesn't have to wake up at the stupid hours that we do amazing so you have more of a normal
life now huh yeah totally and i feel like i'm just a nicer person because i'm better rested
There's something to that.
It's a life changer being able to sleep into it.
What time do you sleep until now?
I woke up at 7.30 this morning.
Oh, my gosh.
And normally what time were you waking up when you were on the show?
4 a.m.
It's almost like a half night's sleep difference.
It really is and I never went to bed early.
So this is a total game changer for me.
Well, there she is.
Any questions for Morgan number one before we jump out?
Anybody?
All right.
Morgan number one, thank you.
We'll talk to you soon
when Eddie figures out
what he's going to do.
I got some time.
You're the bad model
Let me know Eddie.
They wanted to cut the baby
and a half.
I didn't realize that.
Then Eddie thought he got it right.
He was like, I won, right?
Right, cut the baby in half, right?
Well, to be fair,
the trophy's not a baby.
Right, that's where I was thinking, Amy.
It's something you care about.
Right.
All right, bye Morgan number one.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
I guess I don't want to talk about the draft
in the post show because you'll run the bit, right?
Meaning if I say anything about it, it ruins what you're going to hear.
Yeah, just go vote for me.
What do you want to talk about?
Nothing.
Just go vote.
If Bobbybones.com, you can vote after you hear this segment, I just encourage you to go vote.
Nothing.
Vote for me.
No, well, you can vote for whoever you want.
But my point is, I can't talk about it here because it will run.
I don't want to do a spoiler.
Speaking of spoilers, I got a text a minute ago.
It says, what about spoilers in sports, right?
Oh, man.
Now, here you go.
Here's the thing with spoilers and sports.
they don't exist unless there's one caveat to this rule because if a live event happens and I post about it,
that's all I get to do that. That's me being able to do that.
Yeah.
However, if Eddie says, hey, I'm going to wait and watch the Cowboys at 7 p.m. tonight,
I finally get home from a trip and at the game aired at noon.
I'm going to avoid watching.
Would you please not text me what's happened?
I shouldn't text yes.
Respective demand.
Because you've asked that I not.
Correct.
Other than that, any live event.
it's all out there, it's free.
Or live television
or TV shows with big finale
you're able to tweet them too.
It's up to you to miss them.
Now I wouldn't go now and be like,
oh look, this is how Yellowstone ended.
It also is not a humongous live event.
Game of Thrones, for example.
Big live event, not live event,
but show everybody was watching.
If there's almost a watch party
or it's a new story
that the finale's happening,
it's all free to talk about online
all the time, freely.
Movies, not so much.
Completely different.
But sports, there's no such thing as a sports spoiler.
Can you go back and record a game and watch it?
No.
I can't do that either.
I don't even like watching games that I'd tape for three hours earlier.
I just fast forward to crap all the time.
Right. Lunchbox does that all the time.
Nope.
I know it was live and I know I can get to the end faster.
Yeah, just show me the end.
Yeah, just let me see.
And so, yeah, I have no need for recorded stuff.
If I'm 30 minutes behind, I'll go and, like if Arkansas is playing, I'll go and I'll fast forward to the commercials.
And I'll let it catch up to where it is.
But if the game's over for the most part, I'm just going to look on my phone and see if they want for the most.
Wow.
I do the same.
It's weird.
But Lunchbox can watch a game a day later and just watch the whole exact thing.
I just, it's a struggle for me to have to avoid the score because I'm on social media all the time and all my friends are in it.
And I think that's the hardest thing is just staying away from.
Yeah.
Maybe I would be able to watch it for 1987 and you could just avoid everything.
Because they used to run NBA basketball finals on tape delay up until.
Oh, yeah, we found that at OJ, right?
Up until the 90s.
They were, like, Lakers and Celtics, ran on tape delay.
And because you wouldn't see it anywhere,
except for the newspaper the next day.
So it would happen, and they would show it later on.
Isn't that crazy?
Yeah.
Amy's got a new episode of the Four Things with Amy Brown podcast.
What are your four things that you're talking about this week?
Well, my husband's on.
We're talking, this has been like weeks in the works.
I kept talking about him coming on,
and we finally recorded our segment on dating your spouse.
So we each did our own research and then brought stuff to the table.
We didn't talk about it beforehand.
So he's one of the things.
And then also I have someone on talking about exercise addiction.
Oh, I think I may have had that before.
Yeah, I mean, it's a real thing.
And then another person on talking about surviving grief,
she went through something really hard and how she got through it and got to the other side.
And then a quick little thing on how you need to just stop complaining.
Like nobody wants to hear people complain.
True.
So a little nugget of whiz.
wisdom. That's the fourth thing.
Do we have a clip, Ramundo, we can play from Amy's. Which one are we playing here?
Do you husband on PDA?
Okay, let's do that one.
Husband on PDA. Here we go.
It says to go back and increase your PDA.
And I was like, I get where they're coming from, but I don't think we did PDA when we were
dating.
Well, neither one of us are big PDA.
Yeah, I'm just saying this is what they're, they say increasing your PDA will just kind
of like even that thought process.
Like that didn't cross my mind.
I was on the mode of, hey, I think it was Saturday.
So timing, I'm trying to make sure we get all the things done at Target and time to get back to watch the game because it's Saturday.
So there you go.
You can hear them talk about that.
That game.
Everything on the weekends and hour revolves around football.
Yeah, but that's not surprise.
And we watched it on delay.
Well, it was running while we were doing things in our garage apartment.
Like we were decorating some stuff and he had the game on on delay.
He was like avoiding text messages from people.
He's like lunchbox.
He can watch the full game.
He's not on social media though.
Right.
So he can avoid it.
But he just had to avoid texts from people.
and then was just, we watched every part.
And me, I'm thinking, you know, we can fast forward through this a little bit.
We could speed this thing up.
And he's like, no, he wanted to watch every play.
I'm like, uh.
Someone just commented on your hoodie.
They love it.
Oh, your sweatshirt.
Oh, thanks.
They love your sweater.
It's from Madewell.
Where did Amy get her sweater?
It's adorable.
It's for Madewell.
There you go.
Okay, I think that's it.
Check out four things with Amy Brown.
I have a new podcast that we're doing today from my house.
Tenil Arts is coming by.
I don't know her.
Ramundo, well, that's why you need to listen.
She, oddly, there are two Tenneals
the same age from the same part of Canada.
Really? Yeah, so Tenil Towns,
who I've known for a long time, and took her on tour with me for a bit.
But Tenil Arts is
an artist, too, and I bet they get confused all the time.
Do you have any Tenil Arts, Ramundo, on the system you can play a little bit of?
I'm scanning.
Okay.
T-E-N-I-L-E.
L-E?
That's how Towns spells it.
Well, I don't know that we want.
I'm just saying that's the only reference I have.
If we have nothing, Ray, we're going to get out of here.
There's no Tenil Arts in the system?
We play in Women of IHour country.
Scanning this other section.
Okay. You know what? Just look it out.
IHartRadio Music You Should Know,
featuring Tenil Arts. I hate this.
We'll play a little bit.
This here I am running into you, try not to touch.
There you go.
So she's real.
You heard her.
Yeah, she exists.
Okay.
She's real.
Okay, that's it.
Anything, I think that's it.
Tomorrow.
Brothers Osborne in tomorrow.
Sam Hunt, you're about to hear that interview today.
Thank you.
Goodbye and have a wonderful day, everybody.
Bye.

Morning.
Sam Hunt comes in today.
That's a big old What's the Haps?
We'll start with that.
Sam Hunt coming into the studio on a bit.
But I did read this story.
I'm about to share this with you guys.
Do not put things off until tomorrow that you can do today.
I saw that somewhere recently.
Yeah, and you probably put it off to read it tomorrow, didn't you?
You're like, I'll get it to that tomorrow.
Yeah.
Would you consider yourself a procrastinator?
Yes.
Mm-hmm.
Yep, always happen.
Lunchbox?
Oh, 100%.
It makes you feel so much better putting it off.
Eddie, I'll do it later.
Yeah.
Yeah, maybe tomorrow.
That's my mantra.
This is who I work with.
This is who I've built around me.
All these people that put us off tomorrow.
Okay, well, then fine.
What in the world?
I am so the opposite that it drives me crazy.
What's the benefit of having us around?
Well, because you're good friends.
Oh.
Well, that's why we work here.
Psychologists say promptly taking care of important chores.
can actually make you healthier.
It's not good for a person's well-being
to constantly put things off until the last second.
A study found that procrastinators put themselves
under so much pressure by delaying action
that they're more prone to stress-related illnesses
than people who don't put them off.
Procrastinator, ready?
Raise yourself for this next one.
Okay? You tell me if this is anyone.
Ready?
Oh, boy. Procrastinators also experience more back pain.
Oh, that's Amy.
You can barely look right now.
Oh, what?
Yeah.
Okay, why?
And headaches.
I have headaches all the time.
That's you.
Yeah.
And foot injury from soccer.
Dang it.
You're just saying that.
But the other ones are true.
The other ones are true from people who take charge and complete tasks.
You know lunchbox believed you when he said that, right?
I was like, really?
You get hurt more when you put things off?
Oh.
Here's what I'm going to tell you.
Okay, this is how I do my mind.
Because I'm constantly walking through a mind jungle gym.
When I know that there's something I'm going to have to do.
like I'm going to have to do it.
There's no chance of me getting out of it.
If I can get out of it, it's a whole different story.
But if I know I'm going to have to do it, I like to start it immediately.
Because the sooner I start, the sooner it's over.
I'm going to have to do it anyway.
At some point, I'm going to be miserable from the time it starts to the time it ends.
So for me, I would just try to get it out of the way.
Because all that time I'm dreading it is negative time.
All that time doing it is negative time.
So just by doing the math, I lose all the negative time and dreading it.
I only have the negative time in doing it.
And I'm over it.
It's like working out.
I'm like, oh, man, I don't want to do it.
I'll make it to like 7 p.m.
And I'm like, nope, just get on the bike.
Because the sooner I get started, the sooner it's over.
The sooner it's over.
Just get started.
All you got to do is go.
I'm ready to go.
And then go.
Just jump into it.
Whatever you're not feeling you want to do.
Okay, I'm ready to go.
Let's go.
Then just jump right into it.
Because once you get started, it's also so much easier to finish it.
The hardest part's putting the clothes on to go work out.
Once you get in the car and on the way, the rest of it just kind of happens.
It's not fun.
It just happens.
I kind of feeling on that, like when I'm going to,
lay down for a nap. I might just turn off the TV and lay down for a nap right now. You'll get longer
to sleep, but sometimes I won't do it. Got to keep watching Judge Joe Brown, don't you? Yep.
I've talked about this on my podcast. It's the five second rule. Do you know it?
Well, you drop something on the ground. No, no, no, no, no, no. Mel Robbins, she's like a television
host. I don't know if you ever seen her like on TV and she has like a TED talk about it,
but it's a five second rule. And she just says, anytime you want to do anything,
just go five, four, three, two, one. And as soon as you hit that one, you just do it. Like,
Don't give yourself any more time to even think about it.
I treat it like I'm jumping.
Back in when I was a kid,
we used to jump off this dam into the water.
And you can just look a whole time and like,
I don't know if I'm going to do this.
It's really high.
Or you can just go, ah, screw it, go.
And I kind of treat jumping into negative situations like that.
Nah, screw it.
I'm not to do it anyway.
Just jump off.
Here we go.
Let's go.
Go.
That's it.
I like that.
I like that Mel Tillis.
Not Robbins.
Mel Tillis is like yesterday on my way home.
home my gas light came on. I said, I'll just fill it up tomorrow on my way into work.
Right. I feel like that's the stuff I procrastinate on. Like, I don't, to clarify,
I don't procrastinate on everything in my life. How would I get anything done? I know.
But I'm getting gas. Well, listen. Right now I'm at 30 miles to empty. So when I get in my car,
when I leave work, should I be like five, four, three, two? I don't do the countdown. Because I think
that's five seconds I'm doing any waste. All right, let's go. Boom jump. Wow. I just picture
myself on top of that stupid dam
looking in the water. I'm going to sit here and go
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Just jump.
Just jump. Because soon you jump, sooner you're going to be
down. And you'll decide if you want to do it again
or not. You're right. Thank you.
I'm not even right. You are. It's just how I live
my life. I'm not right. It's the best way to do it.
It works for me.
That's all. Here's the Bobby Bones
Show podcast. Highlight segment of the
day. We will now go around the room
and draft one hit wonders.
And at the end, you can go vote on which
team you think is the best.
Don't always vote on the first round pick
Because somebody gets an earlier pick than others
What you want to do is look at the whole body of work
So we're going to draft to one hit wonders
But don't tell my heart
My egg and break it hot
Eddie, you got the first pick
Yeah, I do have the first pick
So, okay, are we ready?
One hit wonders
And just my...
I'm why I'm so nervous
Well, the pressure's on
I have to win one at some point
Okay
Eddie, with the first pick of the one hit wonder draft
you are going with
Look
I don't even want
Any time you're talking about
Look next travel
You gotta play free
I don't want to tell you
Go ahead
Like I don't want to tell my heart
My achy breaky heart
Billy Ray Cyrus baby
Hit it number one pick
Let's go sick
Just don't think
I understand
And if you tell my heart
Is that why you were getting
irritated at me
For singing that during the break?
I just thought
Maybe somebody tipped you off
No, no, no, but nobody took me.
How would we know?
But it was your first pick.
No one could have stolen that for me.
Correct. Okay.
Morgan number two, you have a pick now in the first round.
One hit Wonder.
I've struggled with this so hard for the past 24 hours.
I'm going to go with Vanessa Carlton a thousand miles.
That's a good one.
That's a real good one.
And I didn't even put that on my list.
And that's a great kick.
Oh.
See you.
I can just see you.
That's a great pick and I'm not even smart enough to put that on your list.
No.
Me either.
Good pick.
She lives in talent.
We've tried to get her on the show.
She does?
We can't get her on the show for some reason.
To play this song and be amazing.
Okay.
It's my one-hit wonder list.
And I'm going to say that I don't choose things that you Google and for the most part.
And you Google are fine.
And it's gotten me in trouble a little bit.
Like when I went with puppy breath, no one seemed to even know what that was.
I'm in the smell list.
Most people are like not even sure what that is, but that's okay.
I go, I chase my heart in these.
Yeah.
And my heart is leading me in the one-hit wonder draft to go, God bless the USA, Lee Greenwood.
Hey, when God speaks, you listen.
Wow.
I had not thought of that one.
Yeah, that was not on my list.
It's not in any Google list.
I feel like an idiot.
But I mean, so he has no other hits?
He doesn't.
Anybody got Francis Scott King?
You're trying to be a hater right now?
No.
You're trying to be a hater right now?
No, I'm not.
It's actually, I just didn't know if he had anything else.
Okay, go ahead.
God bless the USA.
It's good.
It's a good one.
Thank you very much.
Should take my hat off in this place.
Thank you very much.
I feel like there's not a stronger song in all the world.
Well, I like you breakie.
Oh, I didn't think about that.
You got me again.
Amy, your first round pick at one hit wonder.
I mean, this is pretty strong and it's vanilla ice ice ice base.
Dang it.
It's a good one.
Yeah, I have that on the list.
That's a good one.
And that's one that everybody knows all the words to.
All right, lunchbox, you're up.
Your first pick.
Yeah, we tried to get this group on the show
and they didn't want to come, but they got one hit,
and it is huge.
Every time you hear it, you sing it.
It's called Mbop by Hanson.
They played this on the show.
Did they really?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
They were awesome.
They were super kind.
They played this and like three or four of their other songs.
I'm glad he remembered that.
Penny and me, they played Penny and me.
They did.
Another big hit for them.
That they had.
Maybe he was a here.
Maybe not.
I like Hansen.
They had a lot of good hits.
Yeah.
No, they did not have a...
That's their only hit.
That's their only hit.
I was talking to myself.
All right, Lunchbox, you have another pick?
Ah, man.
By the way, if they're listening in Tulsa, they do listen to the show.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And sometimes, I'm friendly with one of the brothers.
They did come on the show, and they were great.
And so...
There's a long interview, too.
They talk.
Don't take what he said.
No, like, I genuinely think, like, maybe Lunchbox was not here.
That's what I'm saying.
I'm just getting it clear.
They did come in, and it was wonderful.
And they played our Riemann Show for the St. Jude.
Correct.
So...
I think it was when he was maybe on...
Was he here during that?
Oh, he was here.
Lunchbox was here.
Okay.
Sometimes mentally he's not here.
Okay.
Whatever.
That first round pig was umbop by Hansen.
They should just be happy they got dressed in first round.
No, no, no.
I love them.
I love Hansen.
They should be.
They came and played a cancer charity show for us.
I have no beef with Hanson whatsoever.
Lunchbox, next pick.
Ah, my next pick.
Dang.
I'm going to do Chumbabababumba tub dumping.
That's a good one.
Yeah.
You know I had to put a restriction on Raymondo.
I sent a note off and I said if Ramundo, I didn't know who was kicked out of this show, this, this, this grabbed.
And I said, if Ramundo is playing the clips, he can't draft anything off his clip that's not on his clip sheet.
Oh, good point.
Because he has access to everybody's clips.
How you feel about that, Ramundo?
Some strict rules, but yeah, I'm not playing, so it doesn't apply.
Okay, cool.
Eddie, your next pick.
Am I back to Amy?
Are we going back?
Oh, wow.
Yeah, yeah.
It's the snake.
Go ahead.
Sorry about that.
Okay.
Okay.
My second round pick is going to be Macarena.
Good one.
Nice.
Good one.
Real good.
Do the dance, Amy.
Oh, boy.
That's it.
If you're watching right now on Facebook,
you can watch Amy do it.
Okay, have God Bless the USA from Lee Greenwood.
And I think I'm going to put Sir Mixalot Baby Got Back.
Oh, I didn't think of that one.
I know.
Oh, yeah.
So I started going down the rabbit trail of.
Oh, you Googled?
Well, you search.
I went down because they give you the list of like,
all the big ones. But then if you go
rappers, rock bands, you get a whole new world over
to you. Okay, let's go Morgan
number two.
Hmm.
Okay, I really love this song, so I'm just
going to pick it. Stacey's Mom by Fountains of Wayne.
Good one, too. Yeah.
We are drafting one hit wonders.
If we were general managers of a team, just like the NFL
draft. Eddie, you had the next pick in the draft.
This is one of my favorite songs when I was in high school.
Dina Carter, strawberry wine.
That's a great one.
I don't even think about that one.
Listen.
Strawberry wine.
That's a good one.
I didn't realize she was a one-hit wonder.
Yeah, me either, but.
Name another song.
We're not playing that game because every artist that we've mentioned
can have another song on a random chart.
We're not doing that.
I know.
I don't know.
Vanillaise, Rieger.
Yeah.
Many.
Play that funky music, white boy.
I'm just kidding.
from the Ninja Turtles.
We said we weren't doing that.
That's why we weren't doing that.
And the voters can decide too.
That's the whole point of it.
That's the whole point.
Right.
Like, did I shave my legs for this?
Yeah.
That could be considered a Dina Carter one.
The album cut.
No.
But I get it.
Okay.
I'm not the one pushing the rules here.
All right.
Let's the listeners decide.
All right.
Eddie, back to you.
One final pick you have so far in the one hit wonder draft,
achy-breaky heart from Billy Ray Cyrus.
Strawberry wine from Dina Carter.
Two good picks, by the way.
Thank you, thank you.
And I'm looking at my list, and one just stood out.
Go ahead.
It's like God shun the light on it.
And it's standing out right there.
It's Ammo number five.
That's a good one.
I have a little better Erica on my side.
A little bit of Rita's all I need.
A little bit of...
I only have one song left that I could pick.
Oh, no.
So if not, I got to switch it up last minute.
Morgan number two, you're up.
Ugh.
Okay, I'm just going to stick with what I've been doing.
I'm going, hey there, Delilah, plain white teas.
Hey there, Delilah, what's it like in New York City?
That's amazing.
Lovely, that's a good word.
Lovely song.
Lovely song.
I mean, remember this song?
It just played over and over and over.
And over.
And over.
I'm going to go with, is my final pick, closing time from Semasonic.
Oh.
Shut down the bars with closing time.
Closing time.
All right.
Yeah.
Okay.
Luckily, it's the last one I had on my list.
What's this song about again?
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It's about closing a bar.
down as far as we're concerned.
Okay.
Amy?
Man, I got two that I'm debating with, but I'm just going to go with it.
Daniel Powder, bad day.
Oh.
Because they had a bad day.
You take a countdown.
There it is.
So I might be an American Idol back in the day because they would kick people off and play this.
Lunchbox, you have one song left.
What are you going with here?
Oh, man.
I'm going to go with a more recent one hit wonder.
And I'm going to call it Little Nazex Old Town Road.
Oh, you're already calling it.
Oh, there it is.
There you go.
Okay, so he's not, okay.
He called it.
I guess he just had the opportunity to have another hit.
I mean, Panini's doing all right now.
But it's, yeah, it's a new artist.
It's solid.
He has a song called Panini?
Yeah, solid pick, though.
You like Panini, Mike D?
Yeah.
Is it about Panini's?
No, it would be good, though.
It would be good, though.
Is Panini mean something different on the Urban Dictionary?
I don't know.
I just hear it sometimes in the hip-hop station.
All right, there you go.
We have our one-hit wonder picks.
You can go and pick the team that you think is the best.
Go to Bobby Bones.com.
Just, let me commend you all.
You all did a great job.
Thanks, Bones, you too.
There are a bunch of songs.
I'm like, oh, I didn't think about that one.
And that's always a good draft.
Whenever you go, oh.
Yeah.
Oh.
Whenever you get a bunch of those,
oh.
That's a good draft.
Bobby Bones.com and pick the team that you like.
And what?
Okay.
I looked up what Panini means on Urban Dictionary.
Oh, I don't look up anything on Urban Dictionary.
You can look up Urban Dictionary and be like, what does love mean?
And it's like, well, you don't know.
Don't look up.
No.
Love.
That's the issue.
All right.
Okay.
Thank you very much.

The Bobby Bones Show.
Big three stories.
Let's go over to our producer Ramundo.
Ramundo, what you got over there?
In California, they're now cutting off power to over a million people to reduce the risk of wildfires.
The power's going to be off for a couple days.
In other news, they're still searching for that five-year-old girl in New Jersey.
The reward has jumped to 52.
$2,000.
Pictures of her are online.
And finally, in sports in the major league baseball playoffs,
the Dodgers and Braves were knocked out yesterday.
Only five teams remained.
Rare for me, but I forgot to put my phone on the charger last night before I went to bed.
Oh, yeah, that's weird.
So I woke up and it was like 53%.
And I guess I'm just wondering where your phone would have to be before you actually
start to freak out.
I think this is interesting because I think this is a metaphor for life, too.
Oh, okay.
So let's do it. Get to know the Bobby Bone Show. Here we go.
Get to know the Bobby Bone Show.
What's the lowest you'll let your phone battery go down until you'll find a charger and start freaking out?
What's the lowest? Amy.
Dead.
It dies sometimes. So 1% or when you're trying to do stuff and it starts flickering, you know.
I don't know if you know this. But when you get to 1%, and there's really not a lot of juice left,
you're trying to get stuff done,
it starts to kind of just like fade away
and then you know that it's going to die soon?
I've never seen that before.
I'm sure you have it because I'm sure you keep it at 99%.
I try.
Okay, so what about you?
When I start to freak out as if it gets below a C,
meaning 90 to 100 is an A,
the 80s or B's.
If it's 69, I am trying to find a charger.
If it's down into not passing grade anymore, I'm out.
Like trying to find a,
a charger. 69 or below, I'm freaking out. That's where I am at. So when I woke up this morning
and my phone was in my 50s, I was like, oh man, lunchbox? Two percent. I feel like anything above
2 percent, you can still make a phone call, you can still get a text out. At 2 percent, if that important
phone call comes in, it might die in the middle of the conversation, so you need to find a charger
at that moment. And sometimes you don't get there. Producer ready? I still have an iPhone 6. So once
that first icon comes out where it's like 20 percent low back.
battery, it's, I mean, probably five minutes and it's going to be gone.
All of you guys are down there in the bottom.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So what's this metaphor for life?
How prepared you are and how much you're always looking ahead to make sure you're
taking care of.
I take care of other things in my life.
Yeah.
Like what?
Like, what do you mean?
You act like I'm not a good person to work with or something or a good co-work.
Whoa, wow.
Easy.
Amy, just tell them you more.
I'm like, sometimes it's like, what's this metaphor mean?
And then you put so much.
emphasis on time. In general, it's like gasoline. It's like how much gas in your car. You're going to
fall in the same spot. Empty. Right. That's my whole point. You just walked me right into my point.
Like, we live our lives differently. The phone just like the gas tank. Like, I don't let that bother me.
Like, I don't let that bother me. But I'm still, it still doesn't mean I'm like, I suck at life.
No one said you sucked at life. That's how I feel. I feel like you're judging me.
Well, I'm judging you. Like I'm not. I wish I could do that a little more. I wish I could
just relax. Yeah. This could be an insult on me that I am so. I am so
anal all the time that I always have to make sure.
No, you're always repaired, you're good, you got your ducks in a row, you're here to work.
Somebody got a little sensitive.
Wow, look at you.
A gas tank, me, anything below three quarters of a tank.
I'm like, oh, lunchbox?
Oh, gas light on.
Yeah, you're in trouble.
I'll have the baby in the back seat and the gas light up beyond and I'd be on and I'd be like,
man, we'd still get 15 more miles.
Ready?
One quarter.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
Start freaking out after that.
Amy, whoa.
You tell me to got, took a real offense.
Wow, I like that, though.
That shows what kind of person you are.
What? Did I care?
All right.
This is the Bobby Maw.
Over to Jennifer in Indiana, who's on the phone.
Jennifer, what's happening?
Hey, I just wanted to get a baby box update.
From Lunchbox?
He's got a...
How old's the baby now?
He is a little over a year, so I guess 14 months.
14 months old.
Let's get a baby box update.
Here we go.
Baby box update.
Man, he's playing us right now.
He is absolutely playing us.
He usually sleeps through the night, no problem.
But now he's waking up at like,
233 in the morning, just screaming his head off like he can't be consoled.
You go down, and he just wants, and he points at the fridge, wants a little bit of milk,
and he goes back to bed.
But there's no tears.
He's just screaming because he wants milk, and he knows that we're going to get up and get him the milk.
And he's playing us.
When do you break him from that and just let him scream it out and teach him he's not going to get it
every time he asked for it?
Well, I tell my wife every night, I'm like, we just need to let him go.
But then after 10, 15 minutes, it's just like, I want to go back to sleep too.
so you get up and give in.
But there's no tears.
When you go down there, there's no tears.
So he knows what he's doing.
Eddie, you got a couple kids of your own?
Yeah, guys, he doesn't, he can't walk.
He can't go to the fridge himself and get milk.
So he needs his parents to get him for him.
That's the only reason he's crying.
You kind of have to do it until he's over that.
No, no, no.
He takes literally one sip of the milk and he knocks the bottle away like,
okay, I don't want anymore.
I'll go back to bed.
It's a power struggle.
When the point that you go...
Don't talk to me about this.
My five-year-old still, when I wake up in the middle of the night,
He's in my bed.
So, Bones, I don't know.
Oh, so you mean you do that too?
I mean, I don't know.
They get whatever they want always.
Amy, your thoughts?
I mean, I don't.
It's hard not to give in.
Trust me, because there's times where I just want to be like,
okay, fine, Stevenson, do whatever you want.
It's fine.
But I think you have to just like, I mean, I never had a screaming baby,
but sometimes you just have to like, it'll pay off.
It sucks at the time, but it'll pay off.
And finally, they will learn they can't rule you.
You rule them.
Good luck with that.
Jennifer, how do you feel about that?
Yeah, that's interesting.
That's good to hear.
I have a 10-month-old,
so I'm always interested to see what's going on with Baby Box.
He doesn't sleep through the night either, so.
Well, just don't feed him.
He'll stop.
It's so frustrating.
But the cool part is he is starting, he reaches for us now.
When you go in there, he puts his arms up, like, pick me up.
And it's like, oh, my gosh, it's really cool.
Don't take him to your bed or you'll be Eddie.
Yeah.
There you go.
That's a Baby Box Update.
Baby Box Update.
Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Blanco Brown recently said that Tim McGrath's
Don't Take the Girl was the first country song that got his attention. While Tim heard that,
so when they crossed paths in Australia, the two recorded a new version of the song. Here's Blanco
singing some of it. Here's the key of my heart, Mr. Phoebe old.
Mary Underwood shared a sweet tribute of her husband on social media. The two have been together
for over 11 years and just celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary.
Miranda Lambert dropped another song from her upcoming album.
The song is called Tequila Does.
Because he don't love me like tequila.
I'm Morgan number two.
That's your skinned.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Being a college student is really, really hard.
But being a college student in a single mother can be even harder.
And there's this mom, she had a class and she had a kid.
But she didn't have a babysitter.
She's like, you know what?
I'm just going to take my kid to class because I got to take
notes. So she's there taking notes with the kid in her lap, having a hard time. And the professor
stops class, goes, are you having a hard time taking notes? Bring that kid down here. Strap the kid to the
back and held the kid on the back for three hours while she taught. And so the lady could take notes.
Three hours. Well, it's a long class. Well, it's a once a week class. Oh, yeah. Yeah, one of those
once a weekers. Well, those were rough. I had to take one of those ones where you have to get all that time in
during one. It was always a night class, too. Yeah. I like that, though. I like when these stories go
viral because we've seen a couple
of these go viral where a professor picks up
a kid and encourages other people to do that.
Like I'm sure this professor saw that and was like
oh, I could probably do that too. Right. So that's a good
story. I hope more people hear
it. Airplane stories when people take care
of other people's kids. Love that.
Like somebody's kids crying and they can't handle them
but there's maybe something you can do. That's awesome.
That's good stuff. The airplane story that sticks out to me is
when Luke Perry died, someone
was telling a story about him.
And it wasn't that he was the famous Luke Perry.
was that their kid who was like three or four,
I hope I'm getting this right, was just going
bonkers on an airplane, couldn't control
their kids. So some random guy comes up and takes a
balloon out of his pocket and makes him
a little balloon thing. He's like, hey man, I got you a balloon
and it chilled the kid out. And so
they're down at the baggage claim and everybody's
coming through and people are taking pictures with that dude who had the
balloon in his pocket and it was Luke Perry.
And apparently Luke Perry would do that because he had
kids and he knew that when he would see kids, he could
blow up a balloon. So it's stuff like that happens. I hope, even that
story the lunchbox just told. There you go. That's what's all
about. That was tell me something good.
Bobby Bones Show.
Don't head.
Story of the day.
This story comes with us from Memphis, Tennessee.
A man came outside and found his car was gone and had been towed.
But he was somewhere he wasn't supposed to be.
He was having an affair.
So he's like, what can I do to cover this up?
He calls police and says, listen, I've been carjacked.
My car's gone.
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Because he didn't want to call.
Amy's trying to think about this one right now.
Yeah, so he got towed.
So now it's in a yard, but he said it was jacked.
Because he didn't want to call his wife and say, hey, this is where I am, my car was towed.
So he calls in a carjacking.
Police arrive, and they run the license and they go, no, you got towed.
And he goes, look, look, I just need you to write down.
It was a carjacking because I need you to write down.
It was a carjacking.
He got a cop going, oh, I don't know.
Okay, sure.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, no problem, buddy.
And so he admitted it.
They arrested him for misuse to 911 and filing a false police report.
That's a big jump.
I would just, I would, if that were me in that situation, I would just act like my car got towed from somewhere else.
Can you do that?
Right.
Yeah, why do you have to know where it's at?
Right.
Yeah, but this is a bone hit.
Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, that's a good point.
That's a good point.
I'm lunchbox.
That's your bonehead story of the day.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
All right.
All right, time for a round of easy trivia.
Here we go.
It's the game everyone loves to play because it's so easy.
But really, it's hard.
It's hard because you put the pressure on yourself because it's so easy.
Right.
So I'll ask a really easy question, and we'll see who lasts the longest.
Morgan number two, you should hop in this game.
Okay.
That's all right when she plays.
Amy, these are so easy.
So easy.
We'll start with you.

9 a.
8 a.m.
Oh, 12, New York.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
You add.
You all forget Mountain Central.
Hold on.
No, no.
Wait, I think, Mike, are you wrong on this?
Because I think she could be right.
That might be wrong.
I think she could be right because I'm starting kind of, so 12 in New York, 11 in central.
Right.
Not, yeah.
Yeah, she's right.
Yeah.
Mike's been eliminated from making easy questions.
Mike.
Wow.
Wow.
Okay, yes.
I'm in it.
Hey, don't forget.
Oh, Mike D.
Special.
Yeah, it would be 9 a.m.
Yeah, thank you.
You're right.
Thanks.
Okay.
Uh, you're still in it.
Thank you.
Lunchbox.
Yep.
John F. Kennedy was assassinated in what city?
Oh, I think I know.
Dallas.
Correct.
Eddie's still in it.
Come on.
Eddie, Samuel Langhorn Clemens
is known by what famous pen name?
Yes, that is Mark Twain.
Correct.
Dang.
Man.
Wow, good for you.
Now they're getting a little harder, guys.
That was hard.
Amy, what golf is on the south side of Florida?
I'm sorry, what?
What golf?
G-U-L-F.
What golf is on the south side of Florida?
Easy trivia.
I mean, the south side of Florida?
South side?
The Gulf.
Of Mexico?
Thank you.
Correct.
Still in it.
Lunchbox.
Yeah.
Who was the youngest elected president?
Huh?
Who was the youngest elected president?
We'll go with Barack Obama.
Who was it?
It's not.
John F. Kennedy.
Oh, really?
Hit him with that double.
He was 36.
I thought it was over.
Obama, okay.
How old is Brock, man?
42 or something?
Oh, dang.
How old?
41, 42?
Okay.
Eddie.
All right.
Come on, bones.
What's the postal abbreviation for Alaska to stay in the game?
What do you mean?
Like, just the two letters?
What's the postal abbreviation for Alaska?
Gosh, I feel like I get this one wrong.
I mix them in Arkansas together because it's A.
It's A.
It's A. I'll give you that.
Go ahead.
L would be Alabama.
R would be Arkansas.
K.
A.K.
A.K.
We have two players left.
This is crazy.
We have Amy and Eddie, and we have one sudden death question.
Wow.
A.K.
Buzz in with your name.
Oh.
If you know it.
We have one question.
That's it.
It's all in the line here.
The category is state capitals.
Oh, geez.
Hate it.
What is the state capitol?
of Mississippi.
Eddie.

Baloxi.
Dang it.
I'm sorry that's into that.
Oh.
Amy, now.
The state capital of Mississippi.
Well, shoot.
Amy, what's the state capital
and Mississippi at five seconds?
Monroe, Louisiana.
I'd like to apologize to all of our listeners in this city,
which I love when we go to,
and I'm super, so I like to apologize to all of them who listen.
Amy, go ahead.
Well, give me a hint.
No.
I'm sorry, you're wrong.
It's Jackson, Mississippi,
and I would like to apologize to all of them listening right now
on K-102 are not,
or were offended deeply by you too.
Love your city. I just didn't know you are with capital.
Yeah, I'm very sorry.
Okay, easy trivia. It gets no easier than this.
One final question, sudden death.
You guys embarrassed me in front of my friends in Jackson, Jackson.
I just letting you know right now, you embarrass me in front of my friends in Jackson, Mississippi.
Okay, okay, we're sorry.
In what year do they say that Christopher Columbus, Amy?
1492?
Be honest, I wouldn't have gotten that one.
I never remember that year.
In the year of 1492, when Columbus failed.
The ocean blue.
Amy Grant.
Yeah.
Yeah, I know.
She has a song called Galileo.
But I put in there, did they say, because Christopher's never actually came to America.
I thought Galileo was the two girls.
Listen.
Wait, no, Galileo looked up in the sky.
What do you mean two girls?
She says that Amy Grant had a song called Galileo.
She did, and this is the lyrics in the song.
It's not...
I thought Galileo was two girls.
The wreckers?
No, the two girls, her favorite band.
My favorite band?
Yeah.
Oh, the Indigo girls?
Indigo girls.
What they have a galile?
I don't know.
Eddie, you lost.
Everybody Jackson's mad at us.
Sorry, Jackson.
Sorry, Jackson.
I'm going to Jackson.
Yes.
I'm going to Miss.
Stop that.
Stop that.
Stop that.
You guys.
I love Jackson.
Stop that.
Bobby, you know it's hard.
We're going to Jackson town.
Yeah.
Sometimes you can't get something out of your head.
All I could think of the states and then your mind gets stuck.
We're going to have to send Amy and Eddie and the Jackson to do a little, we're sorry, Tor.
Oh, great.
Just shake everyone's hand up.
I'm sorry.
We're sorry.
We'll get everybody ice cream.
We're sorry.
We're sorry.
All right.
Amy, you are the winner.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Thank you.
There she goes.

On the Bobby Bones show now.
Sam Hunt.
There he is.
He's back.
He's back, everyone.
Hey, hey, hey.
So you got a new song.
Hey, I have a question.
It's called Ken, folks.
Your socials don't have anything on them.
And then all of a sudden, you know, it's a picture.
It's like the picture of like your neighbor, old houses.
Did you pick the picture?
Do you even know that's getting put up?
Yeah, we kind of go through my manager,
my manager Brad and Zach,
you know Zach, I think you did a podcast of Zach.
The three of us kind of brainstorm over all that stuff,
all that content.
So,
used to, when we were first starting out,
Zach and I would just scour over the internet
to find stuff like that.
But now Brad does a lot of that.
He'll find stuff and bring it in.
We all just kind of sift through it
and decide what we feel like fits best.
and he's really honed in after spending, you know,
we've spent four years together now, so.
So with the song, and you haven't put out music in a long time,
did this song make you want to put out music,
or were you going, we're going to put out music?
Let's create a bunch of songs and find the one that we think is the one.
That, yeah.
I was all over the place, had a lot going on.
We've talked about before,
just all the kind of stuff I had going on
that was kind of off-the-field stuff that I was doing there for a couple years.
And last September, I was out with Luke last.
summer and about September I decided okay I need to get more organized with I need to get my music
more organized so I decided from September to this September I was going to write and whatever songs I had
over that 12 month period I'd put them out so I just kind of finished up that cycle and uh that was a song
Ken folks was a song that just stood out as a easy way to kind of just get get the ball rolling again
do you feel that you are a reluctant star
I would say so, yeah.
I'm even uncomfortable with the word star.
Like, even hearing that, like, makes me cringe a little bit.
I haven't met anyone that says,
because I feel like the star part of it
is really not what you signed up for.
Yeah, I think that's fair.
Would you say that's accurate?
Yeah, I think so.
What did you sign up for then?
I'm not sure.
I mean, I've loved music,
and I moved to Nashville to figure out how to,
you know, somehow find a career making music.
and I figured the only option at that point
when I moved to town was to make a record and put it out.
I didn't know exactly what that would look like,
and then I discovered this whole songwriting world,
and that was pretty amazing because you can kind of do that behind the scenes,
but I did want to put out my own record,
and so all that came with it, I couldn't really foresee,
and it's not all bad.
I've enjoyed so much of it.
Oh, I'm not saying it that you think it's bad.
Yeah.
It's just when it comes to, like, the fame and notoriety of it.
Sure.
You know, I guess we know a little bit of each other outside of this little world, too.
Like, I feel like that's not your favorite thing in a good way.
Like, I think you're like, you love the art.
Yeah.
More than you love the accolades that come from having good art.
Yeah, yeah.
I guess just the way that the celebrity that comes with this job in this society, I guess, is a little bit strange for me,
the pedestal that kind of you get put on.
So that's a little bit uncomfortable, I guess, and that's probably just, you know, it's probably just my personality.
Because, you know, being out on the road with Luke, he's so comfortable in that environment.
And you can tell that he was, he's just wired for it.
He thrives up there on steps.
Like Luke walks in a room and you're like, oh, that guy's something.
Like, I don't know what he is.
If you don't know who he's Luke Bryan.
Yeah.
You're like he's something.
It's like he was born to be that center of attention.
And, um, were you a quiet kid?
No, I'm, I'm pretty outgoing.
and, you know, I wasn't shy growing up,
or, you know, I'm not shy now.
I guess it's just the feeling a little bit undeserving
of the attention and the focus being on me
just for creating some music,
because music does not really reflection
of your character or your morale,
like the things that I feel like are more deserving of attention.
It's just a talent.
It's not really a heroic talent,
but you're kind of looked at in that way, I guess.
So you feel a little undesirable.
deserving.
Ah, you deserve it.
Sam Hunt is here, one of the best.
Your Instagram, I think you've got a couple million followers,
but you don't post that often.
Do you look at it, or does it just sit there out in the sea?
I used to be tuned in on Instagram,
and I used to, you know, post fairly regularly
and kind of monitor it and run it.
I've kind of stepped away from it for the last couple years.
Just because I guess it's my own little personal experiment
on how it affected my life.
Are you better without it?
I don't know.
It's hard to say.
I don't miss it.
I just kind of, I didn't miss a beat, you know.
And now that now I'm not even on my phone, I don't guess.
But I want to put it back on my phone because I know how important it is to connect with fans.
And so now that I'm putting out new music, I'll get right back on it and start rolling with it again.
So it's not a big deal.
So that means he hasn't seen Ray Mundo's comments.
Oh, because Ray Mundo, our audio producer is obsessed with you.
Because there's what?
There's been three posts in three days.
Yeah.
Oh, is he commented on all of them?
Ray has commented on every single one.
Oh, I love it.
So the first...
Okay.
So three days ago.
That goes way back.
Yeah.
You always tuned in that.
Sam's like, yeah, Ray's love me for a long time.
It's been creepy.
Yeah, it's been very creepy.
Not what I've talked about this before.
And this is Sam's like, this, you're, your social, your Instagram was blank.
And then boom, this goes up.
And it's like a picture of tools, like in a garage, whatever.
And then Ray goes, I zoomed in on the metal room.
Ray saying this.
This is Ray commenting.
I zoomed in on the metal wrench just to see your reflection.
Ray Bundo?
What?
Thoughts?
Yeah, I was trying to see the photo taker so then I was able to see Sam.
We hadn't seen him in a year.
Okay.
He's good at it and he's funny.
I'm not as good or else I would probably comment and take me a bit more.
The second post from two days ago, or whatever, however many days, is a basketball goal.
And Ray goes, when you playing, you and me versus the flagea boys.
All right?
And then there is...
Florida George...
Florida George's...
And then you have a picture of houses
in your comment says
take you to my hometown
where I grew up
and Ray said...
He said fire up the grill.
I'm coming for football.
So he always has a comment.
Ray, do a real-life comment now.
Sam's right here.
It's a real-life comment now.
Go ahead.
Going to the store now to get some white kicks
and that cool flannel.
Oh, so that's what he's wearing now.
That's you commenting on him right now.
I like that.
Real-life comment.
That's good.
I love that.
That's a new bit. Real-life Instagram comment.
Yeah.
Yeah, look at you.
Sam Hunt is here.
Got the new song, Kim, folks.
So the question everybody's going to ask is if one song's coming out, are there two, four?
Because last time you hit it with one.
Yeah.
Well, I feel guilty because I remember specifically saying that I was going to put out another song within a few months.
Yeah, you lied.
Yeah, you lied.
I know.
and I got to that point
and it was a song that I needed for this next record
so I held it so it is coming out
just what was that 12 months ago
so it'll be a year late but
so it'll be on the record but I do have a song
just to make sure that
I want people to have faith in me that I am
going to continue to put out music I'll put out another song
here in about a month and a half so before the holidays
I'll put up another song and then
I saw you once went to a Starbucks in Green Hills
like I don't know if that is
but I see you go in and you didn't see me
but you go really
you mobile ordered
I'm just a little peon
you don't pay you know
yeah I would see you but you mobile
ordered it right yeah
and so you go in you grab your mobile order
you grab your Starbucks
you walk out do you have Sam on it
and if you don't mobile order
it will people recognize you and be like
Sam let me get that picture why you wait in line
let's see
was I mobile order
was it the one over
you walked right in it was ready
unless you just
tell them I'm coming in at noon.
Well, I do postmates all the time.
Okay.
But I don't know that I would have,
you must have just missed me ordering
because I don't have that a mobile order.
I should, I guess.
I don't even know about that.
Well, you walked right in.
And I was like, Sam, can I get a picture?
And you were like, no.
You kept walking.
Yeah, you did say that.
But no, my name is my middle name on my postmates.
Which is?
Lowry is my middle name.
So now we know.
So now, do you have a hotel name when you check into hotels?
It's the, no, no, don't say that out loud.
That's really what it is.
We should be for that.
Everyone's listening.
You say like,
Hunt?
Yeah.
No, no, not anymore.
He doesn't.
Now that's dead.
All right.
No.
No.
You don't.
Well, I felt so a little silly
doing the whole
fake name thing.
Everybody gets so cute with it.
It's like,
I don't know.
My manager had a crazy one
and it was like,
this is so out there
that it's obvious
that it's not a real name.
So I went back to my middle name.
Are you like Kanye,
whereas you will change
a song last minute
until it comes out?
Like with this song?
Were you making little changes the whole time?
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
Like what do you change on this song even a week ago?
What do you hear on go, let's move this a little bit?
I changed the line going right into the first chorus.
There's a line that says,
I know we just met, but I want to introduce you to my camp folks.
So that I know we just met.
I had a different line there.
I changed that last minute.
I just got a new pet, but I wanted,
was that what it was originally?
That's what I heard.
No, I can't even remember what it was.
All right.
There is Sam Hunt.
Dude, good to see you again.
You too, man.
Like, it's always good to see you.
I mean, anything you want to say to Sam before he gets out and we catch him again in 2020?
I mean, just keep posting on Instagram because my favorite part is Ray.
Ray commenting with you.
No, I mean, Steph, I mean, a lot of people are excited that you're coming back with new music for sure.
I appreciate everybody being patient.
It's taking me longer than I thought, but I'm glad to have some new stuff coming.
Has anybody ever had you sign their body and get tattooed?
Oh.
Good question.
Yeah.
Yeah, a couple years ago.
What part?
And what did you sign?
I didn't sign their body.
It was a piece of paper.
I think it was a lyric and then just a signature.
And then they can take the paper to do.
Yeah.
She was dead set on it.
You do what?
You can sign it.
Like that's what I did with my mom.
She signed Joy on a piece of paper and then you take it to the tattoo artist.
And then they put it on a, and then they can put it on you.
That seems safer because I feel like Bobby has written on people before.
No, they make me.
They're like, will you write on me?
Yes, he's not offering.
They ask for you.
Oh, yeah.
But aren't you kind of torn?
Yes, he's torn.
No, I'm like, no.
Yeah, yeah.
And they're like, no, please.
And I'm like, I mean, it's a, if you really want me to, and they're like,
but do it in your handwriting.
And so it's like a seven-year-old.
And then they get a tattooed and they have it their whole life.
And God knows I'm going to go to jail for something stupid one day.
Okay, one final question.
I got a bunch here.
Which Sam do you look up to the most?
Sam Jackson,
Sam Cook, or Sam's the store?
Sam Walton was a pretty...
Not an option.
Okay.
It's either Sam's the store.
Sam Cook or Sam Cook or Sam Jack.
I don't know.
Sam, they're just stupid questions.
Okay, I'll go with Sam Cook.
Well, you like things in bulk.
Okay.
Okay, I can appreciate that.
I'll still stick with Sam Cook.
What's your Starbucks order you're holding?
this one was a gift
A cup of beef
I can't say for sure
It tastes like an Americano
Oh you're not like
Into the pumpkin spice latte season
No
At least not publicly
We have
We've spent our time
With Sam Hunt
Good to see you
Glad to get some new music out
Good to see you guys
Good to see you putting new music out
And do you feel rusty
If you're away from songwriting?
Yeah
Oh yeah
You go back
Yeah
Actually I was listening to you
A couple weeks ago
I heard you on the radio
Talking about having
Some issues with
Your brain
Your brain
Yeah
I really related to that.
I don't know what it is.
And I think sleep might have something to do it.
I think that's what it is for me too.
Look at this guy, Matthew Walker.
He has a lot of stuff online about sleep.
I'm realizing how important it is.
It's huge, especially when it comes to creativity and memory.
Like water and sleep are two things that are so elementary.
They're huge.
But I'm finding that if you're not...
Nutrition in general, it's water.
Yeah, you're right.
Hydration and sleep.
Sleep is big.
If you're not on it, because I just sometimes can't find the end of a sentence.
Or if I'm doing stand-up and I'm like...
Just a full.
fog kind of hanging over?
Yeah, it's like I know I should
I've told this joke 10,000 times
where it's sitting right in front of me
and I can't find the end of it.
And yeah, it's either sleep
or a tumor in my brain.
I don't think it's,
I think it's sleep because I know you get up early.
Look at my ear.
Tell me what's in there.
I'm telling you sleep is a big one.
All right, Sam Hunt, there he is.
We're done.
Amy, anything you want to say before he goes out?
Well, thank you for the Matthew Walker tip.
Yeah, check it out.
Yeah, no.
Eddie, do you want to show him your throat?
Yeah, I have a lump in my throat.
Sam, you can come over here, you can hook inside of it.
Eddie's walking on yelling, he's got polyps.
You ever had polyps?
I have had one, yeah.
And the lady over at Vanderbilt, it went away.
I can show you some exercises I did to make it go away.
And she said this was like, she's seen it four or five times,
go away that quickly, but they worked.
Thanks, Sam.
We'll exchange numbers.
All right, there I guess, Sam.
Good to see you, bud.
Good to see y'all.

Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So the green cardigan that Kurt Cobain wore on MTV Unplugged is going up for auction,
and it's never been washed.
Does that make it better?
I mean, I think it would be cool to have,
but I don't know that it not being washed would up the value
because it has some of Kurt Cobain's must on it.
That's a debate for they don't know if it's going to grow some people out
or excite some people.
I don't think you're having it to wear.
I want to keep it on a wall, right?
Yeah, I mean, I think it's probably cool that it's never been washed.
but for me, I don't think that would be a determining factor to buy it or not.
I'll say this about that.
That's one of my favorite albums of all time, top five albums of all time.
Nirvana Unplugged live in New York.
I can do the whole album from beginning to end, not just the words, but also the talking parts.
Really?
Oh, yeah.
Wow.
Really one of the most influential albums of my lifetime.
Well, I wish I could get you this sweater, but the starting bid.
In the pines, in the pines where the sun don't ever shine.
I shiver the whole night through.
Yeah.
Wow.
You're done?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I mean, if you want to keep going.
No, I'm good.
But it's just a cardigan.
He wore it, if I'm correct, it was over a white t-shirt and he had another button-up shirt underneath it and then he wore a cardigan over that.
Was it green?
Yes, it was green.
I'm colorblind, so all that looks the same.
Green.
The starting bid is $50,000.
Wow.
And they think that it's expected to sell for around $300,000.
Wow.
Are you kidding?
No.
I don't think.
crazy. All right. We'll see. We'll find out once it does sell. So Toys R.S. is back online,
but you're really buying from Target. So now you can go to their website. They're keeping that
part alive. And as soon as you find the toy you want and you check out, you're going to be
redirected to Target.com. But shout out to Target for swooping in and helping out Toys R Us.
Well, I don't know if they're swooping into help or if they just bought the brand and bought
the intellectual property. I listen to a really cool podcast about, I listen to this thing called
business wars.
where they have two businesses that are often against each other for a lot of time.
And they talk about towards the rest of bit,
but they talk about how some companies buy other companies intellectual rights.
And so the WWE end up buying WCW.
And so everything WCW was, so you would go to WCW, but same thing.
It would redirect.
So, yeah, I don't know that they're doing a charity thing for Target.
I know.
To me, I see it as like a friendly thing.
But now, you know, I've been watching Succession.
So, and that's like this big, massive company.
And they buy other companies and then terrible.
all apart and everybody hates each other.
And I started a picture like boardroom meetings
like this. I was picturing really nice target
and toys or us people. And I was like, this probably wasn't
very friendly. Probably wasn't at all.
So more and more people are sending themselves
flowers to work.
Now, the number one flower delivery
reason is still a person's significant other,
but there is a dramatic uptick
in people sending flowers
themselves. Main reason is to
give others at work the impression
that you're popular and loved.
Oh, wow. Also,
So it's a pretty inexpensive way to brighten up your mood in the office.
So, you know, if you're looking like a lot of people, yes, flowers on your desk, instantly brightened your mood.
So you just order them for yourself.
No big deal.
So no shame in that.
If you want to do it, a lot of other people are doing it apparently.
Okay, there you go.
I'm Amy.
That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
Okay.
Here's the thing that I was just laughing at.
You saw me laugh before I came on here.
I was like, do tell.
I opened up an Instagram message.
and so I'm going to go have coffee with this girl next week.
It's a Wednesday.
It's Wednesday next week.
Here we go.
Oh, did she make some joke about texting?
No, no, no, no, no, no.
I laugh because it's like, all right, here we go.
So we're going to have coffee on next week on Wednesday.
Okay?
Today is Thursday.
Yeah.
So it's like, okay, hit me with the time.
time and place.
I'm going to hit her today.
Okay?
I'm going to say, for example,
Starbucks at noon
on next Wednesday.
When do I have to hit her back?
Morgan number two, Amy?
Are you interested in knowing how her weekend
Not particularly because I don't know her that well yet.
I'm interested to, no,
I'm,
the first date is like when you first start.
Okay, well then I would say.
So I send her a message and put the time down.
Yes.
Got it.
You have the dog.
on your calendar.
Go ahead.
Then I would say,
since you're not particularly interested
in what's going on with her.
I'm not not interested.
Well, you're not that interested.
I'm just not going to keep up the whole time.
Okay.
Okay.
You are not interested in texting her.
I don't even have a phone number yet.
Or DMing her.
Then I would say, yeah, on Tuesday.
The day before?
The day before.
I would encourage some sort of communication,
a couple of different times sprinkled in.
But let's just set that aside if that's too much.
And then on Tuesday, you should check in.
Okay.
Morgan number two, your thoughts?
I would say do it like Wednesday morning and just be like, hey, just checking in,
making sure we're good to go for tonight.
Or that today?
Yeah.
But it's Wednesday morning, they're meeting for coffee.
So maybe Tuesday night.
So maybe like midnight.
Right.
Well, yeah.
Like seven o'clock or so.
If you were me, I would just set it right now and then forget about it.
And then I'd be like, oh, got a dot coming up.
Right.
Exactly.
You're, okay.
I'm very transactional.
This is the frustrating part.
You're like, I'd rather just set the date and then forget about them,
never think about them until I have to see them.
It's great.
Yeah.
And then.
They haven't been out yet.
That's the point.
Okay.
You're right.
It's the first date.
Now, I will say the other girl who's caused this whole conversation, that was the second date.
Yeah, I didn't talk to her one time.
Right.
Oh, yeah, nonsense?
No.
Nothing.
No, no text, nothing.
I don't got a time of my life for that.
Wait, but you're the one?
Okay.
I'm not the one that did what?
You didn't have the time.
Never mind. You don't have time. You're right. You don't have time for that.
Big shout out to I saw Miranda Lambert. And Morgan, I talked about this yesterday, but I was kind of read more about it last night.
Miranda Lamber champions Carrie Underwood for CMA Entertainer of the Year.
I agree. You know, it's always a bit controversial for me to come out and say, I think this person should win because we're friends with so many people that are up for entertainer of the year.
But I've said the same thing. To me, entertainer of the year is not only music and touring, but there's always some sort of outside element, too, where Carrie hosts a show.
CMA Awards where Kerry is football.
She has football. The entertainer
part of it is more than just playing big shows.
And so I was glad to see Miranda post that.
It'll be interesting to see what happens because Carrie's also
hosting the CMA Awards this year.
So Miranda Lambert with a big shout out for Carrie Underwood and
put in a bunch of throwback photos as well.
I just like to see artists supporting artists and I like to see people having an
opinion because Miranda's probably friends with some of those other artists too.
Yeah. And she wrote a nice little thing about each artist.
but then Carrie, she was like, this should be the winner.
Or I did not.
I just said Carrie should be the winner.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So this is so cool.
I love when schools do awesome things with their students that still teach them learning skills and math skills like this garden club is doing in Alabama.
So it's an elementary school.
There's about 120 students in the club and they learn how to grow and harvest crops, which is great for them to know.
But then they use the food that they grow.
to feed those in need in their community.
It's great.
Boom.
Learning and giving back.
I know.
Two things we're probably not doing enough of.
We should all do more learning and giving back.
I know.
I want to join a garden club.
Here, have my pen.
This is me giving you a little something right here.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
All right, that's what's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan number two's 30 Second Skinny.
Lonko Brown recently said that Tim McGraths don't take the girl
was the first country song that got his attention.
Well, Tim heard that, so when they cross past in Australia, the two recorded a new version of the song.
So here's Blanco singing some of it.
Here's the key to my car.
Mr. Keevy, the world of best.
So Blanco Brown, by the way, is the guy that sings The Get Up.
If you don't recognize him just from his name, going to do the two-step.
Maybe one of the best singers we've ever had in our studio.
So good.
Yeah, he came in.
And we were way early on that song as far as.
like getting to know him because he came over to my house when we did a dance that you know the actual
dance and he came in and i was like hey dude come to the studio we'll talk about on the radio and he started
singing and we were like whoa so and that's a really cool version too all right what else morgan number two
carrie underwood shared a sweet tribute of her husband on social media the two have been together for
over 11 years and just celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary i read her post and i commented
under it because she's like i'm so thankful for my husband and his love and his best friend
and this amazing food and this amazing night.
And so I wrote,
Congratulations, see you, period.
I also one day hope to achieve amazing food.
Yes.
I thought you were going to say,
find true love or something.
I know the joke, that's the joke.
I know.
I thought it.
There you go.
All right, what else?
Miranda Lambert dropped another song
from her upcoming album.
The song is called Tequila Does.
Because he don't love me like tequila.
I'm Morgan number two.
That's your skinny.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby bones.
Well, I'm just getting crushed online.
I'll tell you about in a minute.
Okay.
All the texts are coming in for something I said.
Like, your attitude.
Can I say this about my attitude?
Because I could come on the air and just fake like the friendliest person that was never
bothered by anything and never have issues and just be like Mr. Rogers.
But I'm not.
And I try to share my true emotions at the risk of at times rubbing people the wrong way.
And I'm okay with that as long as I get to be my true self.
So when they come in and people are mad at me, I'm never upset at that.
Because, yeah, sometimes I do, I am a bit odd.
I do get irritated sometimes
But I would rather be honest and have people
Know that I'm gonna share my true feelings
And always be the guy that's like
Oh, I'm everything is so good
You know?
Well, I don't really know what they're commenting to you on right now
So I don't I can't respond
In general, yes, that is good
I'm okay with people disagreeing with me
And thinking that I'm that I'm irritating
Totally
Because that's okay
I should be, we're all human beings
And we are not all pleasant all the time
And it's my goal to
You know, put on as as authentic of a thing
face as possible.
There you go.
But I'm a little irritated at the comments.
Double irritated.
All right, let's do investigative corny.
Ramoando.
The morning corny.
Why is Dracula so unpopular?
Okay, we have 90 seconds.
Why is Dracula so unpopular?
Go.
Cape?
Sucks your blood.
He sucks.
Yeah, he sucks.
That's not good.
Why is Dracula so?
He's not cool.
He's not cool.
with the school.
Oh.
He's too...
He's...
We have to figure out the corny joke.
Why is Dracula so unpopular?
I'm...
He...
Vamp.
He bites your neck.
Your neck.
What about the neck?
Neck.
Why is Dracula so unpopular?
Is it makeup?
He's always trying to get your naked.
That's funny.
Necky.
Always take your bull.
Come on, come on.
Dracula.
Come on, you're hot.
We're hot?
It's got to be neck then.
It's something with a neck.
Neck?
Why is Dracula unpopular?
Because he's never in your neck of the woods?
He's next to nothing.
He's always a bite in the neck.
Pain in the neck.
Oh, he's a pain in the neck.
It's got to be pain in the neck.
Oh, that's it.
Are we going to go with pain in the neck?
Yes, yes, yes.
All right, hit that, hit that at, Raimundo.
The Morning Corny.
Why is Dracula so unpopular?
Why is Dracula so unpopular?
Because he's a pain in the neck.
Boom!
We did it again!
Good work, boom!
We did it again.
We did it again.
Oh, my God.
Oh, my God.
Eddie.
All right.
Clear hearts, no, clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
We did it again.
Oh, my God.
I didn't know if y'all were going to get that one.
No, Bobby got that one.
It's a Bobby Bones show.
So what's up with your kids?
Oh, man.
They are just living life, and I'm so excited because they made their first magazine cover.
Oh, that's true.
They did.
Yeah.
Like, so I think I'm going to frame it in the house.
Do you guys know about her kid's first magazine cover?
No.
They're on the cover of magazine.
What?
Which one?
Okay, well.
Okay, hello.
She's kind of kidding.
So Bobby's on the cover of the magazine, but I've,
I mean, at first, I saw Bobby on the cover and then it was like really awesome, amazing article.
And I'm like so proud of you.
And I'm like, this is amazing.
I don't even notice the other pictures on there.
And I'm like, king of kindness, like, well deserved, obviously talking about all kinds of things.
And just was like proud of you.
And then I look over in a little picture.
And it says bones in Haiti in 2017.
And it's a picture of a bunch of kids from the orphanage.
And in the picture is Stevenson and Stasierrez.
Yeah.
I'm holding her son and her daughter is standing right next to me.
That's funny.
And so very proud of you, but also pretty proud of them making their first cover without them even knowing it.
Yeah, I was pretty happy.
I didn't know they were using that picture.
I'm glad they did.
You can see it on my Instagram if you got to Mr. Bobby Bones.
You know those magazines that come in the newspaper, Parade American Profile?
Yeah.
They're owned by the same.
It's the same thing.
And so they just switch out.
So I'm on the cover.
I'll be in everybody's newspaper.
That's crazy.
I know.
It is pretty crazy.
And so you can see the car.
I did.
Did you read the article?
I read the one that you posted online.
Yeah, that was it.
And then so it's the same one's going to print.
I know.
At first I thought, oh my gosh, wow, this King of Kindness thing is really picking up traction
because he was in Parade Magazine and then now he's in this American profile.
To be fair, it's kind of the same thing.
Right.
So one was the online version and the other part is I didn't realize where we could get it.
So now I'm going to get it in my paper.
Yes.
And then I'm going to frame it.
Yes.
You can black my head out.
No.
Or the marker and just make it all about your kids.
No, I think it's special.
Like, I'd love it.
I mean, they're just like a little bonus part, but I'm proud of you.
You can see it.
And yes, they have referred to me as the King of Kindness, which is a bit much, I think.
I'll take it.
I think that we should all just start walking in and being like, good morning, King of Kindness.
Your Highness.
And we, like, should we bow?
Well, let me say this, that the article is really about the people that listen to this show.
because it talks about all the money because together on the show we've done
I think $11 or $12 million for children's hospitals and we've built houses for
for vets and we've you know we've we have done so much so as they have called me the
king of kindness it really is about this show it's about this room and it's about the people
that listen to the show so that it's a lot to be it's a lot to live up to and I have to
be kind all the time and I'm just not but okay but you were you were transparent
transparent about the credit.
Yeah, in the article I was too.
I was like, hey, this is not a me thing.
This is a we thing.
Right.
So everybody,
wear your crown.
That's right.
Everybody listening.
You're all subjects in my court.
I am the king of kindness.
Put in your phone, King of Kindness.
Oh, you change your name now?
Oh, great.
It's a great.
It's the King of Kindness calling me again.
I got to go, guys.
The king's on the other line.
Okay.
Anyway, you can read the article on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
But no, I'm glad that they use that picture of your kids.
on the cover, because I thought that's a good, it just, it seems like so long ago, too.
Oh, when you were there?
Well, just before you adopted them.
I know, Stevenson looks so small in that picture.
Like, to me, it does, sometimes I forget, I'm like, is he growing?
Like, he needs to grow.
He's so little, but he has grown.
He's growing a lot.
Just having to look back at pictures from a couple years ago.
He was so small two years ago.
He's still a small kid now to be eight or nine.
He's nine.
He's nine.
Most people think he's six.
He's a little.
No, for real.
They do.
If I say nine, they're like, seriously.
How old is he?
Well, I appreciate everybody.
Listen, the show, we don't get to do stuff without you guys.
So the whole article, I wish I could put every listener on the cover.
But apparently we can't fit them all.
We asked.
We tried to get everybody together for a photo shoot, and we couldn't schedule all the listeners at the same time.
So, yeah, just know when that stuff happens, that it's all of you guys and appreciate that.
When did our friend Mike hit me up about that wedding?
Oh, months ago.
What was?
Probably June, July.
Five months ago, ish.
So five months ago, a dear friend goes,
hey, I'm getting married in Mexico,
and I want you to come.
And I'm like, of course.
But Mexico scared me because you have to land
and then apparently drive through a cartel.
Oh, yeah.
Maybe.
You never know.
In my mind.
You have to drive right through a cartel.
And I'm like, oh, no, man.
And he's like, plus one or not.
And I'm like, of course, plus one.
In five months, I'll for sure find somebody.
What am I?
A dufus?
Right, right.
and he's like, all right.
So he puts me with plus one.
And he hits me,
all right, what's up with that wedding?
This is like two weeks ago.
You bring anybody?
And I'm just like, I don't know.
He's like, all right.
Hits me again last week.
You can bring anybody?
I'm like, I don't know.
He hits me again yesterday.
You bring in anybody?
And I tell him that I can't come to the wedding anymore.
Oh.
I know.
What?
I know.
We had to reschedule our American Idol promo shoot.
Oh, dang.
Where we take all of that for,
and I'm contractually obligated to be there.
Oh.
I know.
So, never found a date, but also, now can't go.
So here we are.
So, yeah, we had an original date because you do all the promo stuff that's like, this season coming up on American Idol.
It's all the, hey, look at me.
You know, all of us together.
And so they moved that.
And I told him, and he was like, oh, man, stinks, but I get it.
Yeah.
So, one, I don't have to drive through a cartel.
It's pretty cool.
And then two
I didn't have a date anyway
Right so you get to
Yeah I'll send him a nice gift
And I it's his
But let's be honest
It's his second wedding
You know
What does that mean?
It means he's already done it once
Right right
How special is this one?
Right yeah I'm sure it's special
I'm sure it's a good
I'm just joking
I'm sure it's great
But he met his soon to be
Second wife at your show
Yes he did
At a raging idiot show
Yeah
And I am
I think he's wonderful
Dear, dear friend.
And if it were anything else,
I would,
but I just,
I can't get out of this obligation.
So,
and again,
it's a second wedding.
If it was first wedding,
I probably,
but you still couldn't get out of it.
I know,
I know.
I mean, it's American Idol.
But is that weird
to me to think that?
Like,
it's a second wedding.
I mean,
I think that's a normal thought.
Is it a human thought?
It's a normal human thought.
It's a normal human thought.
It's flawed of me, yes.
I'm not saying it's right
if we think it,
but I can't say,
Oh, you shouldn't look at it that way.
I think it's her first wedding.
And if I were on her side of things,
I would really feel like, oh, I need to figure out a way to get in and out
and make some secondary travel if I can.
But it's his second wedding.
He's been there before.
What's up?
You guys can text me and tell me I'm a jerk.
That's okay.
You're not a jerk for thinking that.
I can take it.
I share my honest feelings on this show.
You can text whatever your message is to Bobby, which is 26, 229.
So text it up.
standard of messaging data rates apply.
Okay, any questions before we move on from that.
That's the update there.
I'm not going anymore.
I didn't have a date anyway.
How relieved are you?
You don't have to worry about the date part.
I know that work swooped in
and put the dot on your calendar,
but so there's really, I mean, it's American Idol.
There's nothing you can do about it.
But like, as a little of you, like,
okay, I don't have to worry about a girl?
I really, no, because I'd have been fine going by myself.
I go by myself to everything.
So mostly I'm just a bit irritated.
that I can't go and not at anyone.
It's almost good you didn't have a date
because then you would be even more irritated
that you had a date, you were scheduled to go,
it's gonna be an awesome weekend
and then work got in the way.
Yeah, but then I was just taking...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Taking her to the photo shoot?
Yeah, okay.
Well, I would just spend like,
hey, we'll go to California instead
if she's already blocked out her schedule.
Wait a minute, but I don't have her,
so it doesn't matter.
The hypothetical her?
The hypothetical her that I was thinking about there.
We should give her a name.
You know what I was thinking last night,
So I'm going to the CMT artist of the year awards next week.
Yeah.
And I'm presenting one.
I don't think I can say yet, but I'm presenting one of the artists,
their artists of the year award on the show.
And they were like, hey, are you bringing a date to walk the red carpet with?
And I was like, I'm not because I don't have anybody.
But I've never ever done that.
Like I've never.
Had a date on the red carpet?
I've never dated anybody to ever take to the red carpet.
And that's a pretty cool thing, right?
Yeah.
I'd be able to, I've never had anyone.
And baller.
Is it?
Oh, yeah.
Can you imagine?
I mean, I can't.
A girl showing up to the red carpet with you, like, oh, this is amazing.
This is his life.
Well, she would already know his life, though.
You think I, that whole time I'm like, no, my name's Milton.
Right.
You're like Superman.
She has no idea.
She has no idea.
But it's different actually going to the red carpet and seeing it in person, thinking
about it and being like, wow, look at this.
Everybody's snapping photos.
Like, we're big time.
I did think, though, last night.
Like, I've never actually got to enjoy taking someone and being like,
hey, take our pictures.
And it's free.
Most time you got paper pictures.
You got to go to Walmart.
You got to get behind that screen.
And there's a bunch of cameras going.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
But you guys should watch CMT Artists of the Year Awards.
It is, I believe it's next, what's today?
Thursday?
Yes.
I think it's next Wednesday night on CMT.
And so as soon as I'll let me say what I'm doing on it, I'll share if anybody cares,
but I'm presenting one of the artists, their artists at the Year Award, which is pretty cool.
I was pretty pumped this already that asked me to do it, to be honest with you.
That's really cool.
I got a cool.
Oh, that's how it works.
They get to.
Yeah, I mean, I don't think that they just a.
sign people. Oh, that's special.
Ooh, that's special. Well, because I know who.
You do anything? Yeah.
That's special. What does it rhyme with?
Well, whomever it is.
They're special.

Bobby boom come on
I get in a lot of text about what I just said
Listen a little bit I was kidding about second wedding
Not being as important but not all the way
I was like was I kidding
But mostly I was like it's a dear friend of mine
I just have I'm contractually obligated to go do something else
That's all yeah if you could be there you would be there
And someone was like you wouldn't have done this three years ago Bobby
Idol has changed you
Yeah they're paying me
Yeah contractually and I signed a contract this that I have to go
And it is a dear friend
But again, it's a second wedding.
Come on.
93% of me is kidding.
Oh, man, yeah.
What?
What if it was my wedding, my first wedding.
I'll be there.
You're like A1 friend.
You're A1 plus friend.
Oh, P1 priority.
Oh, I just think, I think you would probably be like,
idle.
I'd say, guys with photoshoot to Mexico.
Is that how you say it?
Mexico.
Mexico.
Close.
Yeah.
It's time for the good.
News.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
In Miami, bus driver Loronda Marshall is called a hero after stepping up and saving the
life of one of her passengers, which happened to be the third time she rescued one of her
passengers.
First time was eight years ago.
This time, she was driving the bus.
One of the people on the bus slumped over in the seat, so she's like, oh, crap.
So she laid him on the bus floor and started to perform CPR and didn't stop pressing his
chest until first responders arrived.
The man survived. Paramedics
said, hey, if your bus driver hadn't
been pushing on your chest, you would not have lived.
But being called a hero
is not new for her, like I said. A couple years
ago, she protected a pedestrian
lying in the road, and she went and guarded
them because they felt like, she felt like she couldn't drag them off because they were
so heavy. So she just laid and guarded
them the whole time. And then she also guided
a little girl in the middle of the street. All while she's in the bus,
like she's always the point you driving a bus.
Wow. Is that a hero bus lady?
Yeah, I think so.
Wow.
She's like Aquaman.
He can do things in the water.
She does things in the bus.
Anyway, that's a great story.
Shout out to you, Loranda Marshall.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bowles.
I spent the last couple of days doing the show from Milwaukee.
I'd never been to Milwaukee.
Let me say, just a lovely city.
No idea.
Clean.
People were so nice.
Just me walking around town.
Yeah.
It was great.
I've been in Madison.
in a bunch. But like I really love Milwaukee. A little cold for this time of year for me.
But yeah, when we stayed at this hotel called the Fister and it's like, all right, it was like a,
built in 1893. Wow. So it was old. And so we go in and they're like, you know this hotel's
haunted. By the way, anywhere old, they claim is haunted for this period of anywhere old that exists.
Like, it's haunted. It's also a nice marketing tool. Yes. But then I started to find out that a lot
teams that come into play the Brewers, Milwaukee Brewers won't stay at this hotel because of a lot of the huntings.
Read you a couple examples here.
Adrian Belchrey said, he were knocking on the hallway on his door.
He went out to investigate, but he found no one.
Later, he saw the air conditioning and the television switch on and off by themselves.
When he was sleeping, he was awakened by pounding noises from behind the headboard.
He was so scared he took a bat with him to bed.
I just got chills.
He was only able to sleep for two hours during his three nights stay.
Wow
Carlos Gomez
Another baseball player
Minnesota Twins
Said he experienced something
Paranormal a day before his game
He heard disembodied voices
Then saw his iPod switch on by itself
The iPod then began vibrating wildly
And almost fell to the floor
He put the iPod back on the table
When it started doing the same thing again
I would argue that iPod's from a long time ago
When the thing's just old
Malfunctioning?
Yeah
Listen I knew it was haunted
That doesn't bother me
Because I don't believe in that crap
But you didn't have anything weird?
Well, here's what I did.
Here we go.
Well, I knew it was on it.
And I say that crap.
For me, I just don't believe in ghosts.
You can, and that's good for you if you do.
For me, I don't believe in it.
But I go in, I'm in the hotel and sit down in the room.
And I say, hey, ghosts, if you're here, show yourself to me.
Nice.
Like, if I'm sleeping, show yourself to me.
If I'm awake and you feel it, show yourself to me.
Prove me.
It felt very Lieutenant Dan and Forrest Gump.
when he's screaming at the heavens.
Yeah, yeah.
Is that all you got?
Is that all you got?
And I was like, ghosts, bring it if you're here.
I demand you show your face.
And I fell asleep.
And about 2 o'clock in the morning before the show,
I kind of woke up.
Naturally, no ghost.
There's no ghosts ever.
Nothing happened.
Nothing, never, never, no ghost, nothing.
I got out of there, all good.
I was asking to be haunted.
There was nothing.
Nothing?
But they did say it was the creepiest place in Wisconsin.
Did you find it to be anything?
I found it to be old.
It was old.
Sometimes it can just be creepy in itself.
It was a nice hotel.
It was nice.
Right, I know, I'm sure.
It was like, obviously, if y'all are staying there and baseball players are staying there.
Yeah.
But just about Milwaukee was great.
I love the town.
It looked cool on social media.
I've never been.
And I was like, whoa, this is pretty.
So I had a good time up there for that.
it's almost wintertime
where we are it's starting to get a little chillier
where they are up there it's getting a little colder
but then people would run by in shorts
yeah they're used to it and I'd be like what
and then I was talking to some of the Madison television stations
because they would come and do interviews
a lot of press come in and during the day
we all go around and do an interview head
and I love Madison
Eddie and I played the Orphium Madison before
it's just a great town
maybe I just love Wisconsin I didn't even realize
how much I love Wisconsin
and you like cheese I do
I do I'm a little clogged
up because I didn't have a little bit cheese.
Too many curds.
But in Wisconsin, and I retweeted this interview, they were like, what's your memory of Madison?
I said, well, it's the only time I've ever done a stage dive on my stomach.
And I said, I really regret that.
Because think about that, you jump and you jump into the crowd, but you're on your stomach, face first.
I didn't realize you weren't supposed to do that because then had people's palm go into your nads
when they're lifting you over.
It was not pleasant.
That didn't cross your mind.
I just was like, I'm going for it.
I just wanted to see.
I just wanted to see the people grab me because I don't want to jump and no one be there.
But I jumped and it was like straight palm.
And there it is.
It's a funny gif.
About one second into it, I was like, this is not good.
But yeah, it was great.
Shout out Milwaukee.
Shout out.
Madison.
Shout out Wisconsin.
Love you all.
So I wasn't in studio yesterday.
It was in Milwaukee doing the radio show.
So they were calling folks saying, hey, you won the CMA award.
and Carrie Underwood was doing the calls.
Now, I guess they just had the studio number,
and so Ray answered the call?
Have you guys heard of them?
No.
Okay.
Is this edited, Ray?
Because when I heard it,
it sounded like it was kind of edited together a little bit.
Yeah, I put it, I had to because she congratulated the local station as well.
Okay.
So here we go.
Here is Ray Mundo, um, answering the call when Carrie Underwood calls yesterday.
Hello?
This is Carrie Underwood.
Please don't hang up.
This is Ray Mundo.
What up?
Hi.
I'm calling with Good.
Good news.
Okay, deliver me that news.
I'm here representing the entire Bobby Bone Show.
So congratulations, Bobby Bone Show.
You are the CMA Broadcast Award winner for National Personality of the Year.
Yeah.
All right.
Congrats.
You guys have a great day.
Thanks, girl.
I appreciate it.
Bye.
Bye.
Bye.
Yes.
So many things with that clip are funny than me.
One, it is like, I am representing the Bobby Bone show.
Did you know she was calling?
They gave me a head.
It was a 30-minute.
window, so I'm not just sitting here waiting for the call.
I was doing other stuff, rush to the phone, and that's
one time it hung up, and then I got her the second
time. Oh, and that's why she said, don't hang up, it's
Carrie. Yeah, I don't know.
She hung up on her the first time.
And then the standard
Ray, which, by the way, for some reason people love
that, dude. I think it's funny. Well, then I'll keep doing
it. But people will come up to me
that I'm just talking to out on the stream, be like, you know what I love
about the show? When Ray Mundo goes,
you! And so, you got
one of those in, and then you got to see you,
Girl? Yeah, I tried to keep it casual
at the end. Yeah, cash. Totally cash.
Just care. But let's thank everybody
because we won the CMA Award for
Radio, National Radio
Show. So we appreciate that
so much. We don't take it for granted. And
we'll continue trying to be
your friends. And
we'll continue really just trying to do a bunch of good.
I think that's probably what separates
us so much is that we're
just trying to find good stuff
to do because good stuff was done for us, so we keep trying to do
good stuff together. So we appreciate you guys.
And yeah, I think that's good.
Yeah.
We won't spend too much time on it, but we're very appreciative of it.
And again, it's a big award for us.
My dog, let me tell you this story.
I take my dog a lot of places with me, and I do have him,
his seat belt, like a strap-in thing.
So if I hit the brakes, he doesn't hit the glove box.
Oh, that's cute.
So, yeah, he has a little strap-in thing.
So he's almost grown out of it because he's getting pretty big.
And so we're driving and what I do is he just kind of hops out and he's fine hopping out of the car
But he hopped out with the harness on before I and like hung himself.
Oh no.
And he's going and so I grab him and lift him up.
And he just save his life again.
Wow.
I'm going to say this.
What if he was like, man.
He was trying to.
What were you going to say?
Wow.
Wow.
That was too dark.
Carry on.
But it was two times in like five days
His life had to be saved
From swallowing a bully stick
Or from trying to hang himself
That's what I'm saying
Is he trying to tell you something
I don't think he is
Okay
I think he is just anxious
To get out of the car
And I didn't get the harness
All the way off
And he tried to
But these bulldogs
They're a lot
They're I have to bring the trainer back out
Because all the train
Because when I went out vacation
And instead of putting him
Doggy Daycare
I was like hey keep him
In the training place for a few days
It just all of it's gone
So what did they say about
that. Is that on you?
Bulldogs, probably a little bit, but bulldogs are also
really tough. They're super stubborn. Yeah.
And so I was like, hey, I'm not going to send them back,
but can you come to the house?
Holly, can I send Kara over and just get a two for one?
Mm-mm. Two different kinds of dogs. Your dog is hyper
and my dog is the opposite. We'll be walking. He'll just go,
I'm done. I'm just pop in the road. I love that. He's done.
You got to pick him up and carry him home. He's just like out. That's kind of awesome.
Yeah. No. But, um, so
that's the deal.
So in the glass room that's connected to the studio,
Ramundo sits and he runs the audio of the board
and he pushes a lot of buttons.
And utility Hillary sits back there
and is really running a lot of stuff behind the scenes too.
And she's in the studio now.
Hi, Hillary.
Hi.
And so people send letters to the studio,
not just emails, but letters.
Letters, and I check all of them.
Okay, so you have one from a young boy where?
In Oklahoma City.
Okay, read me a little bit of that.
He said he saw you on dancing with the stars
and he noticed the resemblance and thought he looked a lot like you,
and it made him like you even more.
He has a project at school.
He had to write a letter to a celebrity that inspires him, and he chose you.
He said, I picked you because you make people laugh,
and I like making people laugh too.
I also like your music that you make, like Chick-fil-A-N-Sunday and Hobby Lobby-Bobby.
I also like the music you play on your show.
You are proof to me that I can be anything I want to be when I get older.
Sincerely, Brady.
So do you leave any contact or anything?
I have his school address.
That was the return address.
okay let's
I don't feel right
just mailing something to the school
and going like
let's just cross our fingers
and hope
yeah but if you'll reach out
and give me something
I'll send up pretty cool
how old he is
it doesn't say how old he is
but he's in like 26
I read he's like 12
11 12 he's in middle school
all right you have another letter there
I do I actually got a letter
from your high school
Mountain Pine High School
and they said there are a couple
teachers somebody sent it to me
and they are in need of some money
Ms. Alexander
She works at Mountain Pine High School.
She works in, like, they have a class called Family Consumer Science,
and they need some help with their kitchen.
They have, like, a home-act type class,
and they have a lot of stuff that people donated from the community,
and it's all old and broken equipment,
and so they're trying to raise money for new equipment.
Like, what do they need, like, an easy bake oven?
I can find one of those.
That's a cheap.
Yeah.
And then what else?
And then Mr. Walker works at Mountain Pine Elementary School,
and I believe he teaches math,
and he needs some help with his classroom as well,
just some supplies. What are we talking about here?
Let's talk business here. Okay.
What are we talking about here?
Miss Alexander needs $496 that's how much she needs left.
And Mr. Walker needs $180. Go ahead.
She needs how much?
$496. Okay.
And then Mr. Walker needs $165 left for his goal.
Wow, this is very specific.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A little $700 there.
Okay. I'll cover it. I'll cover it.
Okay.
Do you have their websites to go and finish these out?
I have all the info.
Oh, that's going to be like $80.
This is a real in-life person mailbag situation.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
She said, I have real letters.
I was like, we'll bring them in.
Let's see what they have to say.
Okay.
We'll get his info.
Okay.
And I'll send him something cool.
And then I'll cover their school tabs.
And then that's our to throw letters.
That's the real-life mailbag.
Like back in the day.
I saw your mom is here, Hillary, by the way.
My mom is here.
Is she in the glass room?
She is somewhere.
And so why is she in town?
She's just visiting her best friends, never been to Nashville before,
as her best friends with her.
She just popped in, I saw her in the glass room.
Yeah, she's so sweet.
She walked in right away.
She goes, I'm Hillary's mom.
And I was like, aw.
And so we didn't plan this that your mom was going to be here when you came on in the air.
So is she proud of you?
She is.
Yeah.
That's kind of said with a weird tone.
I was just awkward talking about myself like that.
But yeah, she's very proud of me.
Do you tell her that you've been kind of running the show for a while while?
We look for a new executive producer?
I have.
She knows everything.
She's the person I called Event 2 and to talk about everything with, so she knows for sure.
You and your mom are super close?
Very close. She's my best friend.
Your mom is your best friend?
We talk about everything, so.
Boys?
Yeah, we talk about it all.
She tells you about her boys that she's crushing on?
Nah.
Okay, all right.
Hillary, thank you.
I'll just, can I just give me my credit card and you go take care of that?
Yes, say yes.
I promise I'll only buy this.
Oh, I trust you.
Okay.
I don't trust Eddie.
Say yes, sorry.
Say yes.
No, no, no.
She's not going to go shopping.
Let's get some lunch, Hillary.
Okay, cool.
Then we'll do that and we're good.
Amy, anything you'd like to add?
I love it.
I think it's great.
You can give back to where you grew up.
I mean, Mountain Pine, that's a special place to you.
So to be able to, and we were just talking today about classes that are important like that, like Homeack?
Yeah.
Like, where you learn real life skills?
I think in Austin.
Yeah.
Like, real life skills.
Like that's something.
I know Nashville.
We're talking about in Nashville.
Yeah.
One of the places.
Amy and I do so many.
Right.
So many different cities
that we come in the morning
and we're here for just doing stuff, yes.
Right.
Well, either way we were talking about it
and you were making a point
about like woodworking was
becoming a thing.
Is that a lot of schools
are now bringing back
some of these skills.
And I'm like, great.
Because who needs to learn
if you're not studying math,
who needs to learn trigonometry?
Exactly.
I didn't.
I didn't need to learn advanced algebra.
So how about I learned something
that can act?
Teach me to balance a checkbook.
Well, or budget now.
Okay, just better. Teach me things like carpentry.
Teach me things I'm going to use in the real world if that's where I'm going.
Let's stop.
Okay, I'll take care of that.
Okay, we're done.
Raymond, are we good?
All right.
Peace.
You know, I love the ranking of things.
And I, every week I check this ranking list on this website,
country now.com.
And they just rank artists.
I think it's so funny.
It's like, you know, college football.
Yeah.
And they come out of the top rankings.
And so, like, I believe Alabama is number one now.
right Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State.
Is that the order at one, two, three?
Yeah.
Okay, so, but here we go.
These are the top five country artists that they've ranked.
At number five, Dan and Shea.
Here you go.
I guess they were at number 10 last week.
They're number five this week.
They got a bump.
Apparently they had a big win this week.
Yeah.
Justin Bieber, this song came out.
So Dan and Shea at five.
Okay, at number four in the country now power rankings.
Eric Church is at number four.
Yeah.
Okay, here is their criteria.
These rankings are based on songs, streams, sales, album, singles, hype, pretty smiles, TV appearances, great tweets, award nominations, ticket sales, and newsmaking headlines.
Okay.
That's pretty fun, right?
It's not just songs on radio.
Yeah.
And church is on tour right now.
Yeah.
Faces out.
And he did the thing where he gave the girl $10,000.
Oh, that's right.
The joggathon.
So on the power rankings, Eric Church at number four.
Luke Bryan at number three.
this week.
Solid.
Luke Combs at number two this week.
Who do you think they have at number one?
These are basically the Alabama
of country music artists.
Who do you think is number one?
This is their opinion.
Carrie. Their opinion. Carrie?
Thomas Rhett.
Thomas Rett's at seven.
Any guess lunchbox?
I was going to say Carrie because of all the
CMA stuff going on.
The number, they have ranked number one on the list,
to Carrie Underwood.
Woo!
Because she had the number one song last week, this song here.
There you go.
Anybody else you're wondering about that made the list?
Miranda?
Hold on.
Yeah, at number 14.
Oh, wow.
Miranda Lambert.
Still top 20, but I guess.
Anybody else?
What about Blake Shelton?
Blake Shelton.
He's got to be on there.
He's been moving.
No?
Not on top 25.
Moving in with Gwyn?
That's huge.
Not in top 25.
Sam Hunt, coming out of nowhere.
Oh, he'll be back next week if not.
No.
Dang.
Here, five.
Six, real quick.
Marin Morris, Thomas, Red at 7, Cain Brown at 8, Keith Urban at 9, Derek Spentley at 10.
That's your top 10.
There you go.
That's kind of fine.
I like that.
And it changes every week.
I assume because they go last week's number and then that week.
There you go.
If you want to see, that's at country now.com.
Yes, Bobby Bowls.
You can go vote in our one-hit wonder draft.
right now, Eddie is leading it.
Come on. Here comes the dark horse.
Look at you.
Leading it right there.
I'm surprised Morgan number two is in third place.
I thought a thousand miles was a great first pick.
I thought so, too.
And I got to be honest, I'm surprised I'm in fourth place.
God bless the USA.
Like, how do you not love America and God?
You know?
It doesn't make sense.
Yeah, I'm shocked. I'm in last.
Sam Hunt came by today, and here you go.
He talked about, by the way, his new song, Ken folks, comes out today, later today.
You with me?
this song comes out later today so be listening and he talked so you're not going to hear a clip of it when
i play this interview club here is sam talking about his new song ken folks got him started on writing for
his new album last september i was out with luke last summer and about september i decided okay i need to get
more organized with i need to get my music more organized so i decided from september to this september
i was going to write and whatever songs i had over that 12-month period i'd put them out ken folks was a song
that just stood out as a easy way to kind of just get the ball rolling again.
Ask Sam if he felt like a reluctant star because he loves making music,
he loves writing music, but I was like, hey, what's up with that celebrity side of it?
The celebrity that comes with this job in this society, I guess, is a little bit strange
for me, the pedestal that kind of you get put on.
So that's a little bit uncomfortable, I guess, and that's probably just my personality.
Because being out on the road with Luke, he's so comfortable in that environment.
and you can tell that he was, he's just wired for it.
He thrives up there on stage.
Like Luke walks in a room and you're like, oh, that guy's something.
It's like he was born to be that center of attention.
So one other clip here.
This is from Sam Hunt being in.
You can hear the whole interview if you listen to the podcast later today.
I asked Sam if he was like Kanye West
and changed his song as the very last minute
because Ken folks comes out today.
I changed the line going right into the first chorus.
There's a line that says,
I know we just met, but I want to introduce you to my Ken folks.
so that I know we just met.
I had a different line there.
I changed that.
I just got a new pet,
but was that what it was originally?
That's what I heard.
No, I can't even remember what it was.
All right, there you go.
Sam Hunt.
The song comes out today.
Full interviews up at Bobby Bones.

Everybody feel good about that?
Yeah.
All right.
Anything you want to say, Amy,
before the,
we get over to tell me something good in just a second.
Oh, I've got friends already texting me
because you teased Sam Hunt
and they're like, is he there?
Is he there?
It was here.
Eye heart emoji, like the heart.
emoji with the hearts.
Like, I think people are really excited.
He's back.
I love him.
Yeah, no, I do too.
Yeah.
I mean, they do.
I do.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, check that out.
And again, go to Bobby Bones.
com and vote for the one-hit wonder team.
And remember, if you don't vote for God bless the USA, you don't love God for the USA.
It's not true at all.
So hold on.
Am I in second?
You are in second, yeah.
What?
It's a pretty solid.
Like, everybody's kind of in the mix here.
But Bobby Bones.com.
And, yeah, vote on the one-hit wonder team that that you like.
like here. I just like, if you don't vote for God in the USA, do you even like where you live?
Sure, sure you do. Oh, you do? Yeah. All right. So I guess you guys went on a work lunch
yesterday or dinner? What'd you guys do? Yeah, we all just went out to eat together and it was dinner
time. Oh, it was dinner. Okay. So by the way, I was out of town. Correct. You were gone.
So everybody's at dinner and it's like, great, I'm in a good time. And then I guess somewhere in the
process lunchbox realized that Elizabeth Fosio, who was with us, and she's in town from New York,
she had like her company credit card and that she was going to be throwing it down the pay for
every meal. And we didn't know that. But then when it became clear that was going to happen,
lunchbox then ordered a meal to go for his wife.
What's wrong with you? No, this is what she said. She said, look, guys, get whatever you want.
Even get lunch for tomorrow if you'd want. And I said, hey, my wife's at home. She's hungry.
If she's offering to buy me lunch tomorrow, she won't mind buying my wife dinner tonight.
So I grabbed the waiter and said, hey, can I put in this order to go, please?
Whipped it right up and got took it out.
Nothing wrong with that.
They offered to pay for whatever I wanted.
Was that awkward?
I mean, I don't know.
I guess I was definitely sitting at the other end of lunch rock.
So I did not hear that part of get whatever you want for lunch tomorrow.
Eddie?
I didn't hear that.
Oh, you didn't go?
No, I did you hear that?
Did you hear that?
Yeah, I mean, it was just kind of like quiet afterwards.
It just kind of happened and everybody just kind of was like, well, yeah, like everyone else there had, well, I mean, it's not like I just ordered a meal for my husband to go or Hillary.
Sorry, you don't think about your husband.
No one brought me a little something for today.
Apparently, Amy said that Mike D is not only quiet Mike on the air, but also quiet Mike in real life too.
And so what a Mike order at this dinner?
Well, I mean, yeah, we all know he's quiet Mike, but he's just so like gentle and quiet and doesn't want to make a big deal about.
about anything and he ordered a salad that had Parmesan on it and he's vegan.
And there's so much Parmesan on here.
But, you know, he kind of just kept his head down, got his fork and started one by one
like removing Parmesan cheese from his salad.
And I was like, oh no.
Like he's not going to be able to eat.
So I just said, Mike, stop, stop, stop.
So we raised our hand and we had the waiter come over and we're like, can we, sorry,
we didn't know Parmesan was on here.
He wasn't going to do it.
So you go to do it for him.
No, because he's like, sweet cut quiet Mike.
And I was like, look, they'll totally understand.
And I was like, well, even, I'll eat this.
Like, I'll eat the salad or I'll take it home or whatever.
It's fine.
Just get another salad because there's no way he would have avoided cheese.
But he's just, I was like, oh, quiet Mike.
What was your thought process with that?
I just never like sending food back.
Because you think they may do something to it or because you're like, you know, I don't want to bother somebody.
I don't want to bother them.
I'm like, I probably messed up, didn't see that it had cheese on it.
It's on me.
Did you think about ordering a meal for your girlfriend the next time she comes down?
No, I did not think about that.
Put it in the freezer.
Have it there.
How was the dinner, though, good?
It was good.
Yeah.
What'd you order?
I didn't.
I ate Mike D's salad.
Oh, that's what you ended up eating?
Yeah.
We're trying to go to watch The Joker this weekend.
Eddie was like, hey, because I was like, I want to go watch the Joker.
And Eddie said, do you have a date?
I said, no.
So Eddie's like, I'll go with you.
So we're going to go.
Yeah.
I guess it's tomorrow night.
Tomorrow night would be great.
And then we asked Morgan number two if she wanted to go.
And she's like, guys.
So you can't, because Saturday night, what do you have?
A wedding?
Yeah.
She's like, I have to go to October.
Fes Friday night and I have to drink.
It's her favorite time of the year.
It's just the whole...
Oh, come on.
Yes, it is a drinking.
There's so fun in Nashville.
Shopping and...
Yeah, and they have these massive pretzels
and corn on the cob that I eat every time.
It's just so fun.
Like, it's just a fun thing.
How many times, though, would you get to go to a movie with us?
Yeah, yeah.
Okay. Technically, if I really want to do, we could go again.
Never. Never.
That's not true. The last time you was never wear a third.
That's not true.
All right.
Well, we're trying to figure out plans for Torn out.
I'm actually in town.
Shit.
I'm going to go see the Joker movie this weekend.
I feel like tomorrow night.
It's the only shot I really have.
So I did see a story about a guy in Washington
who had his guns confiscated
after a post he made about the Joker movie.
The guy posted a picture where he's holding two AK-47-style firearms
with a caption that said,
One ticket for the Joker, please.
What an idiot.
The guy said it was a joke,
but the cops can't just go,
I guys joking.
They gotta actually go and do something about this
because if he does shoot up the place,
then it was like, well, all the signs were there.
Right.
He posted a picture with his guns.
What a dummy.
His hearing is next week.
We're done with today's show.
Appreciate everybody.
Amy, what's going on?
I've got a friend coming in town today,
so excited about that.
What about you?
I have therapy today.
I have a call with the Fresno B
because Eddie and I are playing the Fresno Fair.
We're headlining the fair on Saturday night.
Oh, yeah.
I'm going to get a workout in.
I have a call with a TV network.
They're pitching me shows today, which is pretty cool.
See if I wanted to take any of these shows.
Fun.
Pretty good call to be on.
I have a bobby cast with Tenale Arts.
I mean, it's a pretty packed day.
Yeah.
Sounds like it.
Yeah.
Back in town, I've got to get everything done.
Because I've been out of town getting everything done.
Mm-hmm.
You know.
Always getting stuff done.
Trying.
All right, that's it.
Thank you, guys.
We will see you on Friday show.
Tomorrow, Brothers Osborne, in studio.
Also the Friday morning dance parties.
I appreciate you.
You can be anywhere in the whole world, but you're with us, and we appreciate that.
We'll see tomorrow.
