Starting point is 00:03:03 Book now, top shelfcountrycruise.com or 888-381-4420. All right. The Bobby Bones Post-show pre-show. That a pretty late night last night, huh? With the birthday stuff. And then, again, I was texting with your daughter last night. She texted me from another phone. It was like 11 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:03:23 How late did you guys stay up last night? I went to bed, I guess shortly after that, we went to bed. But, you know, Mary was sleeping with her in her bed, so who knows what time they actually really fell asleep. For her, it was like a little slumber party, which is fine, because she starts school late, so. What did you think about her and I having the same tennis shoes? Because I have the same tennis shoes as Amy's daughter has. I thought it was so cool. I mean, I thought it was funny.
Starting point is 00:03:44 I showed her. She was like, oh, that's cool. And then she saw that you wore her bracelet on American Idol. So she was like, oh, that's really, really cool. Yeah, I asked her last night. She saw that. She was like, yes. Yeah, I showed her.
Starting point is 00:03:56 I was like, Kimmy Moore? She was like, Mom showed me. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, yeah. Was she spelling stuff correctly? For the most part. She's had trouble with Mom.
Starting point is 00:04:05 Sometimes she would misspell Mom. Yeah. I think she was just working fast. Yeah, we're working. I mean, I'm letting her, like, text with people and, like, do that more because it's helping her work on spelling, so. I think Amy diagnosed my back is killing me. I've been riding that bike.
Starting point is 00:04:19 I go hard on that bike. And it's, uh, you're stationary. Yeah, it's like a Peloton bike. I ride so hard because I'm riding with a live trainer and against people. I feel like I'm racing people. I think, I guess I said on my elbow on my back. You see my Instagram this morning. She's like, I think you're riding your bike funny.
Starting point is 00:04:37 I mean, that's what I was thinking. Because all of a sudden, because you haven't had irritation there. And then now you do. And the only thing you've done different is the bike. So I'm not a doctor, though. Oh, you're not? No. Oh, crap.
Starting point is 00:04:50 What? Somewhere in this while we're going is something that we're, was supposed to arrive for you yesterday. I just got a note that it just arrived. Here today? More gifts? Yeah. What the, amazing. What was that big picture in your office? Yeah. The listener sent me a picture of me playing at the Ryman.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Dude, that's awesome. Yeah. Like, I walked by your office and saw it and I'm like, that is amazing. Yeah, listeners sent me that. That's really cool. It was just some office. So it's you at the Ryman and you can see the seats behind you in the background. Like, that's pretty awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:19 I'm not snuck into the Ryman. So, hey, Morgan and Mertrero, are you talking about it? talking about moving yet? Yes. You are? Yeah, I'm good with it. Have you told the show? I think some people have heard about it because I've been talking on the phone and making all the plans.
Starting point is 00:05:32 Morgan number two bought a house. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, and she closes this week. It's your first one. Yeah. That's like a really big deal. I have my final walkthrough in like four hours. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:05:43 Yeah. So have you moved all your crap from your apartment? No, it's all boxed up. I'm currently living in boxes right now. So what do you have for your househouse house? I really only have my bedroom stuff and I have my couch which I bought new when I moved to the apartment. Other than that, I'm going to have to start filling it when I get moved in. I don't really have a dining room table.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Man, it's expensive to move. It is. But that's so exciting. You're going to be a homeowner. It's awesome. You haven't signed the papers yet, huh? No, it happens tomorrow. Okay, here's my advice on you when you go to closing because it's so intimidating.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Oh, yeah. You don't need to read that crap. They've already read it for you. And even if they didn't, you're not going to read it anyway. Right. Don't even act like it. It's not to be like, here on page 200. Wait, don't act like it?
Starting point is 00:06:24 Well, at first you're like, all right, well, let me take a look. They're like here papers for you look at and sign. It's, it takes you an hour to sign. It's going to take an hour to sign everything fast. But at first you'll be like, let me take a look. And you'll look and just fake it. You're not reading it.
Starting point is 00:06:37 You're probably going, I wonder I was on TV tonight while you're, then you sign it. And then eventually you get bored and sign it all anyway. My vice, you sign all the freaking papers. The person that knew you hired to do your real estate, your house, already looked at it as well as it's going to be seen. So you didn't do that? You read it?
Starting point is 00:06:51 Oh, no, I think my husband maybe did it by it. He probably took it home and read it. No, I mean, I'm serious. He probably did. Every line. And then the cool thing is when you go clothes, like, they're so happy that you're closed
Starting point is 00:07:01 because they're going to make a lot of money. And then they're like, you want anything to drink? Go hard. Go like, I would like champagne. They should get you a gift too. Oh, yeah. Your first house. Someone got me a Nolan Ryan autographed picture once.
Starting point is 00:07:12 When you bought your first house? My very first house that I bought. That's awesome. The guy that was my real estate, bought me a picture. It was Nolan Ryan Holden, Robin Matured in a headlock. Yeah, the fight. That's so cool.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Yeah, that's pretty cool. Well, congratulations. Thanks. Nervous? I'm excited. I'm so nervous. I'm stressed. I'm excited. I'm all things right now.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Are you going to have roommates? Nope, it's just me. Oh, wow. Yep. But I'm excited. It's a lot of responsibility. Yes. I mean, which is good.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Yeah. But like no roommates. Yeah, I'm excited for my dog mostly because she's getting a fenced in backyard and she is going to freak out. Oh, yeah. It's going to be amazing. Do you know about the situation around? Do you know who lives there? Yeah, when I was looking at the house, I drove by and stopped some of the neighbors outside and talked to them.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Oh, you did? And they love the area. So there's a lot of people with dogs and a lot of young people in that area. Like kids? Like 12-year-olds living in a house? No. Like people my age and they have like dinner parties. So I may have new friends.
Starting point is 00:08:13 That's cool. Yeah. I've always wanted to start one of those progressive dinner. in my neighborhood. I don't know what that is. Okay, so it's fun. Maybe you could do it with your new neighbors. You go from like each house. You pick houses that are close by, but like you do appetizers at one house or maybe like drinks.
Starting point is 00:08:30 You start off with like a drink. I'm already out. You got a different house to house. No, it's called a progressive dinner. Like a bar crawl, but get out of here. No, it's fun. Each person gets to host a different part of the meal. You have to go house to house? Drinks. Then appetizers, then, you know, salad, then the main course, the dessert. So the main course is going to be cold because they're over at your
Starting point is 00:08:47 house having drinks and then you got to go down houses and then you can probably have a drink at each house while they prep it or you could do that but don't hate on the progressive dinner until you've tried it personally really haven't tried it yet i just have it in my head that i think it'd be fun the block parties are cool you guys have block parties no no when i'm moving into my new house i don't even know my neighbors right i don't know them um i have weird hours i was pulling out of my driveway once his family was across the street they're like hey they're very nice i assume they're very nice they waved and I waved and like the mom stopped me and was like hey and I was like yes she's like do you live there now
Starting point is 00:09:24 I was like yes I do just like you have parties and first I thought she wanted to party like this is like real housewives stuff like she's down you know okay DTP yeah yeah down to party and I was like nah not really and she was like okay next day was when I threw my big party oh no
Starting point is 00:09:46 She's like, he said no. And I had like a DJ. And so everybody came over. So then driving out again. I like three days later. Stopped me again. Hey. So what's up?
Starting point is 00:10:01 She goes, you live here, right? I was like, yeah. She goes, you have any kids? It's like, nah. You live by yourself? I was like, yeah. What do you do? She acted in that kind of tone.
Starting point is 00:10:15 You tell her none? No, I just said, this is my standard answer is artist. Oh, and that's a cool answer. Artist. I'm an artist. Because you can't say no. I mean, yeah, you are an artist. All right, books, playing music, talk on the radio, whatever. But I'm just like, artist.
Starting point is 00:10:31 And then she's like, hmm, she looks at me officially. And I drive away. Nice. And talk to her sentence. That's what I'm talking about. People always question. I don't need people to know anyway. Like, I try to be quiet.
Starting point is 00:10:44 I'm trying to bother anybody. somebody did send me bread and strawberries once. Pretty nice. But again, I always feel like I'm bothersome to neighbors. And then what do you want? Knock over to the front door and be like, hi, I live here and now.
Starting point is 00:11:01 I'm sorry to interrupt your day. Let's talk. We went and knocked on all our neighbors' doors and took cookies. But that was good for your kids. I got to experience it. For me, I just feel like I'm bothering people all that time. That's why I don't do it.
Starting point is 00:11:11 But that'd be fun to meet your neighbors. Maybe you have some dudes over there, Morgan, number two. I know. I'll meet my future husband. In your neighborhood? Yeah. Just weird. You don't really want to.
Starting point is 00:11:22 I dated a neighbor in college. You don't want to poop or you eat? That. Oh yeah. I got a real awkward when we broke up because he lived right across the street. And I would back out of my driveway and he would be in the yard and I would have to act like I didn't see him, but clearly I did. But I didn't want to acknowledge him.
Starting point is 00:11:35 And then when he started dating somebody else, she would be in the front yard. Oh, wow. That sucks. Like, sucks. And we both like own the houses like there are, or my dad owned the house that we live. in college. So it wasn't like I could just go, I lived there for years. Like, I didn't just go get a new apartment. It was the worst. Do you have any houseworm party? Probably. It'll be a minute, though. I stopped stressing about trying to make it happen right
Starting point is 00:11:58 away. And I was like, I'm just going to give myself some time. Yeah, I don't make it happen right away. You don't have to fill it, though. You can just get settled. Are you trying to give me a gift? No, I was moving. It's going to fall on the floor. But yes, I'm going to give it to you in a minute. You should have a party, though. Morgan, number two and I were talking about it. And I was like you should have a party. I didn't have a party because I felt stupid doing having a party. Oh and you can register for stuff and we'll bring it to you. Yes. Yes. Okay. The place I set you a gift card to is that a cool place to get stuff or no?
Starting point is 00:12:23 Yeah, super cool. What is it? West Elm? Oh, yeah. That's nice. I didn't know. What? It's nice. Foller. How much? They have such cute stuff. I sent Morgan number to a gift card, but I sent it to the wrong Morgan. I sent it to the wrong Morgan. I said to she spent it? You can't take that back. I did take it back. I did. I sent it to the wrong Morgan. And I was like, because both their names are kind of odd last names. and so I sent it over to Morgan number one and I was like
Starting point is 00:12:50 oh man I checked the sent receipts I was like I sent the wrong Morgan so I just send another message to Morgan I want to go you know the gift card I just say you not for you would you say can you just forward it I said would you place forward that to Morgan number two
Starting point is 00:12:59 oh it's brutal but there was also a note on there because Morgan number two had helped me with first of all it was for a house it's like hey good luck I know this is like it sucks and then it was like hey thanks for help me because she helps American Idol stuff
Starting point is 00:13:11 on Twitter and I was like hey thanks for all the help but then Morgan number one got it. Oh, that's a bummer. Yeah. I mean... Is it, though, I think
Starting point is 00:13:19 about that big a deal? No, no. It's a bummer to think. I'm sure she opened up and she was like, whoa, Bobby just gave me a gift card of West Elm. And then she was like,
Starting point is 00:13:26 oh, never mind. It's not for me. Oh, well, whatever. Good luck with your house. Thank you. There you go. We're down. Here's today's show.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Enjoy it. Oh, wait, no. Here, open these. On the air? Yeah. That's another gift? It's not. She is.
Starting point is 00:13:37 You guys have to stop this war. This is the greatest war ever. I wish all wars were fought with gifts. Now, these are from me and Mary, and we design them ourselves. But they're straight from the printer, so I don't know if they printed everything right. This is the greatest war ever. That's just whatever. That's just your year you were born.
Starting point is 00:13:50 So maybe this is 1980. Like, those don't exist. I see your awesome gifts. It's special for you. Okay. I get older. They stay the same age. That's creepy.
Starting point is 00:13:58 You can't wear that. You can't wear that. You can't wear that. I'm not wearing it. Listen, almost 40. I'm not wearing any of this. What's the next one? What?
Starting point is 00:14:06 I can't remember. Oh, this is my favorite one. I wrote it. It sounds like, hide your kids. It's just creepier as it goes. What, let me see. 39 looking fine. What size did they put those on?
Starting point is 00:14:18 Extra, extra, extra large. What? It's like nine. Give lunchbox so I get older. Oh, well, they were just supposed to be funny shirts. They are funny shirts. They are funny shirts. You can sleep in them.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Yeah, because I sleep in T-shirts and jammies. No, I don't. You don't have sleep. You don't have sleep shirts? No. Sleep shirt. Amy. The only time I went sleeping in a shirt.
Starting point is 00:14:38 Sleep shirt. It's if I'm feeling a little chubby. And you don't want to see yourself? And if there's like somebody, and no one said in my house on a long time. But I would be like, uh-oh, somebody's sitting in my house and put a sleep shirt on. A little chubby. Oh, my gosh. I do feel that way sometimes.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Why do you guys? I was vulnerable with you guys and you guys made fun. No, I get it. This is not a safe spot as you guys make it out to be. A safe space? Yeah, just letting you guys know. All right. Here's today's show.

Starting point is 00:16:16 Morning! Here we are, Wednesday. The great news is it's not my birthday for 364 more days. I know. I do appreciate it. Once it's over, I'm like, oh, that's a pretty good birthday. While it's happening, I'm like, e-e-e. It's like, in my life, I enjoy looking at pictures more than I do actually when the event's happening.
Starting point is 00:16:37 Because if there's a picture of it and I know it all when it has planned, I'm like, hey, look at that. It really worked out as self-will. Because my room, I have a couple pictures that I really love. One, the first time that I sold out to Paramount in Austin, I went and sat on the stage because that's this theater where I went to the most shows. That was important to me, and I did stand up there, and I went and sat on the theater, and I was like,
Starting point is 00:16:56 this is really crazy. It's a big moment. Another one's me at the Ryman, I tore him. And the first time that was sold out, and I sat there in the Ryman, I was like, this is crazy. I've been wanting to perform these places my whole life. And so, and then, so I appreciate the picture more than I actually did the experience.
Starting point is 00:17:12 But I'm growing because on Monday of next week, I host American Idol. And I actually, as that was happening, took it in. I mean, I'm on stage, and, like, Luke and Katie and Lion in front of me and Ryan got sick, so they called me last minute. And they're like, can you host a show? And I was like, yeah, of course. And so I go out. And in the middle of it, this big American Idol is written above my head. And I'm talking to Luke and Katie and Lionel, all the cameras in my face.
Starting point is 00:17:35 And I was just like, this is pretty cool. Like, I just sat and breathed it in. I was like, this is cool. But it was like right in the middle. And it was one of those things where I was so comfortable that, and hopefully the edit comes out good, but I was so comfortable that it slowed down. You know, like when NFL players or even college players,
Starting point is 00:17:52 they go up a level, the game seems so fast around them. Like, oh, but once you get comfortable when you start to see it, they say the game slows down, slow down. I walked out, I was like, oh, everything just moved in slow motion. It was great. I can't, oh, but it was so good on Monday. But that's how I feel of my birthday yesterday.
Starting point is 00:18:05 It's great. That's fantastic. Love it. You know what I was happening? I was like, e-hmm. And you know what the greatest thing? about the new iPhone is that you don't have to write thanks to everybody when they send you a birthday message because most people are just sending birthday messages just like hey not not forgetting
Starting point is 00:18:19 about you but you just tap and double click it and it sends a little thumbs up to them it's like boom thank you perfect yeah do you do the thumbs up or do the heart well it just depends it depends it depends how hard and how loving the message was like my friend uh steve mokler who's an artist in town he said hey man just wanted to say you know i'm glad that we know each other but i'm really happy you were born you do a lot of good things and i was like like, oh, well, you put more little effort than a couple, like, have birthday turd, which many people said.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Oh, wow. Those songwriters so good with words. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right. They're gifted. Yeah. So, yeah, pretty cool. Pretty cool. Anyway.
Starting point is 00:18:54 So you sent him the thumb is what you're saying. He got the heart. Oh, you gave him the heart? Let me look. Let me see what old Steve Mocler got from me here. We pulled it up. It says, I gave him the heart. Wow, that means you really liked it.
Starting point is 00:19:05 Well, because it had more words and thought. Well, it was like, yeah. He's like, I'm thankful if you were born today. It wasn't just like happy birthday. Yeah, so here we are back. Here's the story that I found this morning that I like to lead with. A man is accused of faking burglary to cover up money stolen from Girl Scout cookies. His name's Brian.
Starting point is 00:19:22 He pleaded not guilty to charges of initiating a false report. He called 911, according to police, and reported that someone had gotten into his home through a sliding glass door leading to a struggle. Boy, he even inserted a fight in here. He was unresponsive when police arrived. taken to the hospital. The area was searched, but no suspect was located. Police said he later admitted he had staged the incident.
Starting point is 00:19:48 Detectives determined he did to conceal the theft of money from a nonprofit organization. A Girl Scout spokeswoman said that he's a father of a Girl Scout, and there's about $740 in unaccounted for cookie sales. Oh, my. So he probably, listen, I'm just assuming that maybe they think he took the money and then faked it. But at least he knocked himself out. That's pretty dedicated. That's the funniest part to me.
Starting point is 00:20:11 like he faked a fight. Did you knock yourself out? It'd be hard. Like, you'd have to just nail yourself in the head. But was he knocked out or was he faking? Like, unresponsive doesn't mean... Oh, I thought that meant you were unconscious. It doesn't have to mean.
Starting point is 00:20:25 It can be, but I don't think... Like right now, go, Eddie. Talk to me. Hey, Bobby. How you... Bobby, are you awake? Bobby, you're not looking at me. I'm being unresponsive.
Starting point is 00:20:34 I'm still conscious that I was being unresponsive. Anyway, what's this guy thinking? You needed the cash. Yeah. I mean, that's what you're not. what it boils down to. But he called it. Grie.
Starting point is 00:20:44 Well, he went hard with that. He did go hard. You got to admire someone that takes it the next level, though, too, right? Like your kid and Girl Scouts.
Starting point is 00:20:51 And then your poor daughter. Yeah. Now has to see your dad in the news for ripping off her Girl Scout money. Here's the Bobby Bones show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Amber in Pennsylvania,
Starting point is 00:21:02 what's happening? Working. Working, working. Us too. What time do you have to go in? I start at six. Well, we started a little earlier, but listen,
Starting point is 00:21:12 all that's the same. If you're at work before seven, like, I feel you. My heart goes out to you. I was driving in this morning. It's dark. I'm just thinking to myself, I'm just not a morning person. Never have been. I never will be. I now have a show that could not be any more morning. And so it takes me a couple hours to kind of get in the groove. Luckily, I wake up a couple hours before we go on the air. And as soon as I wake up, the show starts in my mind. Like, as soon as my eyes open, my, my alarm went off to Matchbox 23 a.m. today. usually it's 90s hip-hop but for some reason I think it went off
Starting point is 00:21:43 on this like 90s period That's a jam though But I didn't hate it But I wanted to stay asleep through it Because it was like My alarm instead of it Go man I always have music
Starting point is 00:21:51 Wakes me up And it goes off Dina-da-dun That for that guitar leg Bown-down Oh come on And I just laid there And thought
Starting point is 00:21:58 Oh I could just sleep to this It wasn't to move I got up But usually it's like I have like Biggie or something That pops on It's like boom boom
Starting point is 00:22:06 That waking up with a song Helps But yeah that's early Well, what can I help you with? Thank you, Amber, for calling. What would you like to say? Well, first off, I'd like to say that I am being on Eastern time, so your show starts when I get up.
Starting point is 00:22:20 So I listen to you from the time I start work until, you know, 10 a.m. here. Well, I appreciate that. Any segments that you really like you wish we'd do more of? And I also like Lunchbox when he does, basically the stupidity calls is what I call him. but the last two that he's done, or the last couple that he's done, I've noticed her from Pennsylvania, and I'm like, good God. He just makes me want to, you know, roll my eyes out these people because, honestly, they're not too far away from where I live.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Like the bonehead? Yeah. Well, that's cool. Anything else we can help you with? I want to know, or if you want to reveal what Amy got you for your birthday. I don't think I can't reveal, right? Can I, Amy? I mean, I'll tell you what she did.
Starting point is 00:23:10 Is she gave me friendship? Yeah? Yeah. They still giving me that or no? What? You still giving me that or no? Yeah. Okay, good. Yeah. And she paid for dinner last night and arranged my birthday party. Dinner. Yeah. Got you dinner. That's good. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. I don't know. I don't think I can.
Starting point is 00:23:32 Maybe that's a later thing. Yeah. I don't know what it is. I still don't know what it is. Yeah, I don't think it's appropriate. Appropriate. For error, appropriate so soon. Yeah. I don't think it's appropriate.
Starting point is 00:23:47 Maybe in a... It's a little too fresh right now. Well, as long as you like it. I love it. I'll tell you. I didn't even think it was real. What is going on right now? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:00 I'll tell you, Amy gave me... He did think it was fake. I did think it was fake. Amy gave me this birthday, but I'm not going to reveal what it is right now. But Amy gives me, she brings me this box. And I open this box up, and I'm like, all right.
Starting point is 00:24:09 You know how sometimes people put stuff in fake boxes? Yeah. And I went, you got this kind of box? And then I opened the box. And she was like, no, this is real. And I was like, they make this? And then I opened it. And I was shocked by it.
Starting point is 00:24:22 One day I'll put it on my answer story. And I won't be low-key about it. Because you can't be, you just can't. So you didn't think it was real one. I did not. Very inappropriate. One, I didn't think it was real. Two, I didn't think they made it.
Starting point is 00:24:36 What? Is it custom thing? What? Is it custom or? No. You think they made it or? No, they didn't make it just for me, but. But it's almost like it was.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's so inappropriate. Something you can use a lot. It's something you can use a lot. Okay. All right, see. I don't.
Starting point is 00:24:56 All right. All right. All right. I appreciate that call. Appreciate that feedback. Thank you. One day soon. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:01 It took us a while. Yeah. Amy and I are now in this contest. Yeah. It's crazy. And someone's going to lose. I'm going to lose. He makes way more money than me.
Starting point is 00:25:10 It's crazy. And I have a husband and two kids. And, like, my husband and I share. Like, we run, I mean, we have a certain thing that we spend over. What about Amy a yacht? Like, basically. I'm going to buy another kid. Here you.
Starting point is 00:25:23 That was, like, last night, Bobby's friend, Nikita. She's so funny. And she, like, has Bobby's president, like, wrapped up. And she's just, like, awkwardly handing it to him. She's like, I never know what, she's from Australia. And she's like, I never know what to get anybody that makes a lot more money than me. And she just throws it at me. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:40 And it was a great. This gift, you got me an office sweatshers, it was great. I know, I know. It's great. Yeah, it is that awkward. It's not awkward. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:25:49 I mean, you've just, you're, you're doing a lot of things. Like, it's great. Like, we're happy for your success. Like, it's awesome. Thank you. Well, anyway, Amy got me a great gift. No.
Starting point is 00:25:57 You need to stop it with the competition, though. It's not a competition. I just wanted to show you how much, I was a kidding. I joke sometimes. Okay. I just wanted to, you know, share my... I like to show my friends
Starting point is 00:26:08 how much I care about them. Sometimes through acts. sometimes if I like well I know I just told my husband say look I'm they're about to we're like going to dinner did you get trouble did you get trouble no I just said just so you know like there's going to be some charges just it's fine you told them yeah I told them I said just like you know it's fine don't worry about it and he's like oh no that's awesome Bobby's great to us like he's so like it's yes like celebrate his birthday it's great well I want to mention this is happening in Amy's neighborhood so there's a crossing guard that works in your like right
Starting point is 00:26:36 near you yes okay so I passed it I passed it multiple times It's not always driving at the, you know, when she's out working, but there's about, I guess it's probably like maybe 4 p.m.ish that there's this one road that she travels to different roads depending on the time of day and what school is happening. And it's 15 miles per hour. So everyone's going real slow. And she's in the middle of this road. It's about 4 p.m. And I've seen this happen and months apart, months apart. So I'm like, what are the odds? This must be happening more. but cars slowly roll up next to her and an exchange happens.
Starting point is 00:27:14 What? Yeah. She gives them and then hands go in the pocket and then the driver goes away but you're going so slow that like, but she reached it like she walks up
Starting point is 00:27:24 and I'm like I gotta know what are they exchanging? Like I don't know but it's a good undercover because Probably not pogs. No, what are you even pods? I don't know. I'm thinking like pills.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Yeah. Something. It looks like I've seen drug deals go down in my neighborhood between, like, drug dealers. Like, I know what's happening, and I just kind of, I don't want to ruffle any feathers. No, not with these people. I do not. No, no, no. But the crossing guard, so unassuming, doing her job, blowing her whistle.
Starting point is 00:28:00 I mean, but next time she gets on to me for going 16 miles per hour and be like, at least I'm not hustling pills to other cars. Something is happening. There's exchanges happening. I just don't know what it is. Now, it could be, you know. What about if it's nice notes? What if it's legal?
Starting point is 00:28:17 Oh, that'd be nice. No, no. The people get it and they like put it in there. Is it money for something? I tried to get up next to the car. I saw this happen on. You need to stop trying to get close to drug deals. No, no.
Starting point is 00:28:28 I got up close to like see the girl, the woman that received it. She, like, I tried to get up next to her and like my car was higher than hers. And I was all trying to like see like, what? Is she going to open up? the baggie right now, but she never did. So it was a baggie? Yes, like a little baggy. But they're so sly about it that, like, I don't
Starting point is 00:28:47 know, I don't see like if it's money or a bag or what, but they're exchanging and then she put something in her pocket. And you see multiple. And then the driver, I've seen it three times. That's enough. Three times over a, for, obviously the first time I saw it, I was like, oh, that's interesting, maybe that's her daughter. And she's like, oh, hey, babe, here's a five. Go get a snack.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Square pizza. Right. Right. So, but then when I saw it a second time, I was like, huh, that's interesting. And then I'm telling you, when I saw it recently, it's been months and I saw it again. So that means you know it's happening. I'm just missing it. Well, recorded on your end story. Put it up. Crime stoppers. Just hold money out your window and drive by and see what. Oh my goodness. Do it, Amy? That's been, try that, try that. Report back. Oh my God. That's the greatest idea. Wow. Starting point is 00:33:43 Big three stories. Our producer Raymundo from the glass room with the news. Raymundo, what you got? Yeah, a deadly explosion at a chemical plant outside of Houston. One worker died to her in critical condition. They said the air quality in the area is now safe. In Boston, Lori Loughlin was all smiles ahead of her highly anticipated. college bribery scandal court hearing.
Starting point is 00:34:05 That starts today. And finally, in L.A. cops arrested the Nipsey Hustle murder suspect. So they think they got their guide. We've got a couple updates from Lunchbox here. Guys, he came in the studio the other day and you had bumps all over your hands, both your hands. And your arrests.
Starting point is 00:34:22 Yeah, red bumps and they were clustered together. And some loser in the studio sent you a picture and said, Look, I think Eddie, or Lunchbox has measles. Thanks, Eddie. You're welcome. Here's the story I'll read. Almost 400 cases of the measles have been confirmed in 15 states this year.
Starting point is 00:34:38 It's record number since they declared the disease was gone. Wow. 20 years ago. But people aren't vaccinated to their kids and then people to get measles are going to these public places, not realizing they have measles, and they're like, oh, yeah, I was there.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Does those animals kill you? I think whenever you get them, you feel very measly. It's a joke. I don't know. I don't know what it means to do. That's a good question. Can measles kill you? Somebody Google that. But they're making a comeback. They are making a comeback.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Measles is a highly contagious disease caused by a virus that can spread through the air. It comes into direct contact. It can't kill you. Dang it, lunchbox. Yep, they can. He's bringing this to work. If one person has it, up to 90% of the people close to the person will become infected. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:35:25 They're not completely immune or the immunity. Wow. So let me see your hands. How are they? They're great. My hands are solid. It's still there. Look, turn around.
Starting point is 00:35:34 What are you talking about? It's still there. But are they going, is it going backwards? Yeah, they're fading. Okay. What are you talking about? Is that a good sign? That's like a scar he's pointing out.
Starting point is 00:35:43 No, they're the same dots that I showed you, bones. Do you feel like you have measles? No. I don't even have any dots on my hands anymore. But this is what I don't understand. When someone's sick or something, why don't they just, like, I'm sick? Like, this is what I have. I'm not going to deny it.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Well, maybe, Morgan number two, look at his hands. You'd be the judge. I don't have anything on my hands. Yeah, they're getting. better, but... He's good? Yeah, I don't see any... Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:36:06 Do you let him touch you? No. Yeah, touch your face. You can't be too safe. Okay, there you go. Now you have it, Morgan Number 2. Not great. Morgan number 2 has a measles.
Starting point is 00:36:15 She's my best friend now, so... Yeah, measles gone. Sorry! Oh, very good. All right. And then the other update that listeners wanted is, in the ATM, you were
Starting point is 00:36:26 putting in a check. Yeah, checks that valued up to 360 bucks. Except it said that they gave you How much? $1,060. So that's a plus $700 increase thanks to ATM, my friend. And so you didn't say, hey, you didn't go knock on the bank store and be like, excuse me,
Starting point is 00:36:43 Mr. Bank, I'd like to refund this money. No, what I did is I went home and I got on Southwest.com and I bought two airline tickets to Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend for my wife and I to celebrate our winnings. And has the bank called and said, hey, you have a little too much money. I've had my phone on, never turned it off, and it hasn't rained. The bank is just chilling. That's $700 gone. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:37:07 And they have not come asking for it. Woo! And they got my address. How long has it been? About a little over two weeks. That's crazy. Do you think you're going to get away with this? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:18 Because I don't think they can check the ATM. I don't think they go in there and check the ATM. And they'll check everything. Everything's on a computer. Okay. There's not even a physical bank there. The ATM's just in the middle of parking lot. So it doesn't count?
Starting point is 00:37:29 Yeah. It's like a mailbox. International water. You just go in the middle of water. I don't know there are no rules. No matter. Hey, what's the deal with your taxes? I haven't finished those yet.
Starting point is 00:37:36 It's kind of difficult this year. What are you? Why? They change the rules. Yeah, and baby, because you got to write off baby, and I'm trying to look in if I can write off diapers, and if I can write off. What rules they change?
Starting point is 00:37:47 They change. You can't write off certain things. So I'm reading all the who's who's and the what's what, you know. You're really reading it? You have to. You don't want to get in trouble, guys. So what are you expecting this year? Just ballpark and you're refund.
Starting point is 00:37:59 When I went into it, I was expecting $13,000. Because the kid, I'm hoping diapers, baby clothes, daycare, all that. I can write all that off, hopefully. You still think $13,000 is. That's what my plan is. That's why I'm working the numbers. I'm crunching because I've got to get there. What's the most you ever got?
Starting point is 00:38:16 I think like $11,000. You try to set a new record. Well, a new baby means new record. It means I should get more money back. I didn't know that. Eddie, did you get more taxes? No. With your kids?
Starting point is 00:38:28 No. Yes, when you get kids, you get, they call it a tax break. but I didn't get any money back. You're paying more back forward anymore? Probably. All right. Lunchbox, thank you for the updates, bud. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:38:37 There he is. Any questions for the guy? Totally caught up. You want to borrow some money? Sorry. Money gone, sorry. The Bobby Bone Show. Thanks everybody for hanging out and being a part of the show.
Starting point is 00:38:49 We appreciate it. I know it's early. Do you wake up and want to eat immediately? Normally no. Occasionally I do, but normally no. It's a race to the fridge. It's like, eyes open. I'm strut.
Starting point is 00:39:01 starving. And so, like, and I had had me breakfast in my house this morning. Oh. So I'm super cranky, and my schedule's all off. And you know one thing I love? A schedule. Two things I love. A schedule.
Starting point is 00:39:13 And what's my newest love? My newest fascination. I'm just obsessed with it. Come on. Your Peloton bike. No. It's the marker. My Sharpie, my big fat Sharpie.
Starting point is 00:39:21 Because I can, like, clear things off. Like, I can clear my schedule. Mm-hmm. Like, I sit here, and it looks like a government-redacted file. When I finish, I just mark it out. Here, mark it out so we can hear it. Oh. This is a great joy to my life.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Yeah, yeah. Do you guys see me over here just, like, geeking out this time? Yes, you're, like, smiling when you do it. This Sharpie is so big, and I take it, and I don't want to mark out something I haven't done yet, though. You just do it on one of the blank spots. So it's like, can you hear that? It's kind of boring. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:48 It's not boring for me. Nothing for me. I love this big Sharpie. And so, I love, awake on the morning, I go eat. There was no food in the refrigerator this morning. Morgan number two doesn't say I'm called Food World, and all I want to do is hear about all the food because I'm starving. You know, you go at the grocery store and you're hungry, and you get everything? Yeah. So Morgan number two,
Starting point is 00:40:04 are you ready? I'm ready. I may ask for multiple food worlds this morning. I got lots for you. All right, here we go. And it's called Food World because? Because I love food. She loves food. It's time for food world. Num, num, num, with Morgan number two. Taco Bell is testing warm churo donuts
Starting point is 00:40:21 and they're only one dollar. Wow. Warm choro donuts. Is it choro? Mexican things? Yeah, it's like cinnamon. I would assume it's Taco Bell. bit. And it's churro. Churro. Do you say that to me? No, I say choro. Eddie. Dos churros, por favor.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Grazie. And it's like cinnamon. It's a cinnamon dessert. So it would be like a cinnamon doughnut. I like churros. Yeah. I'm sorry, dear Ruth. Churros. So, and they're only a dollar? Yep. They're only in Kansas City right now, but everybody loves them. So they're probably coming nationwide pretty soon. Road trip. Yeah, KC. Let's do another one. It's time for Food World. Numb, Numb, Numb. With Morgan number two. Craft Hines just made five new ranch flavors. They teamed up with that all-ranch restaurant from St. Louis.
Starting point is 00:41:09 There's a restaurant of all ranch? Every item on the menu is ranch included, ranch-incused, all these ranch flavors. So they partnered with them and made five new ranch flavors that are now in stores. Do you have the five flavors? I do. I'm torn on ranch. Really? I like it with wings.
Starting point is 00:41:28 Not a big ranch on salad. We can do it on pizza sometimes I'm new to a ranch on pizza train We didn't do that a lot in Arkansas All right, let's go Morgan number two What is the first ranch? Cheesy smoked bacon
Starting point is 00:41:42 How do we feel about that? Try it That one sounds okay That sounds good Okay, okay, what else? Black pepper Parmesan I like that one a little better That's a solid ranch
Starting point is 00:41:54 Go ahead Honey dipped wasabi Not for me Not for me No no Spice and ranch Baseball glove ranch? No.
Starting point is 00:42:01 What? Go ahead. Garlic smashed buffalo. Oh, no. Oh, that's like a wing. I can do that. I can do that. Wing.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Yeah, that's like buffalo sauce. It's like Bobby, if you were to dip a buffalo wing in ranch. Yeah. With garlic. But there's no chicken. True. Okay, what else? And the last one is mango spiked happeniero.
Starting point is 00:42:21 No, not for me. Good pronunciation, though. Hapaniero. All right. Is that it? I have one more. One more what? Food World?
Starting point is 00:42:29 Oh. It's time for Food World. Num, Num, Num, with Morgan number two. DQ is now selling Dreamcicle dipped cones. The orange? Yes. Is that Dreamcicle? Dipped in chocolate?
Starting point is 00:42:43 No, like in an ice cream cone. You put the Dreamcicle on top of the vanilla. You know when they dip it, like the chocolate and you get that chocolate hard shell in the outside of it? Is DG, is Dairy coin now just knows DQ? I had the same question. Yeah, they rebranded. What else is rebranded?
Starting point is 00:42:58 Dunkin' Donuts is not just Dunkin. right? Correct. McDonald's is Donald's now. No. I'm just kidding. There's been another couple of those.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Wait Watchers is now like WW for something. That's harder to say. I know that's different, but they didn't want to be attached to. Did you guys get your W. Do you know exactly, but I know they did. I remember us talking about it, how they rebranded
Starting point is 00:43:23 because they didn't want to be associated with having to watch your weight. But I'm like, that. What you do. You know? Yeah. They wanted to rebrand and be more like, you know, this isn't a weight loss thing. This is just you counting your points.
Starting point is 00:43:41 W-W. I like, I used to eat push-ups as a kid. Oh, you like the orange push-ups? Yeah. Are there still a thing or another? Yeah, they're a thing. I just don't. I'll never go into those.
Starting point is 00:43:50 I was into it. I like the pop, the rocket pops better with like chocolate, yellow chocolate. Oh, the banana one. Yeah, I like that one. Yeah. And then there was the USA, the American pop. The red, white, blue. That was a good one too.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Well, okay. There you go. Morgan number two. Thank you. That's Food World here. That was Food World with Morgan number two. Num, num, no, no. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 00:47:26 to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. There's this two-year-old kid named Sillion,
Starting point is 00:48:04 and he needs a specialized wheelchair to get around so his parents looked up the price way too expensive for them to afford. So the dad reaches out to his old high school buddy, who is the head of a robotics team at a local high school, and says, hey, this is the wheelchair we need. So he goes back to his robotics team, and they build the kill kid. wheelchair. Wow.
Starting point is 00:48:25 High schoolers in Minnesota said, yeah, we got this. That's pretty cool. And they build them a wheelchair. I wonder if they made those sounds you made. What does that sound like when you build a wheelchair? Oh, wow. Yeah. And that's maybe the wheelchair moving because you...
Starting point is 00:48:40 Oh, wow. That is a good story, though. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bone Show. Story of the day. This story comes us from York County, Pennsylvania. a 55-year-old man goes to the grocery store buys a few items, canned goods, some chips,
Starting point is 00:48:58 and as he walking out, he notices the cashier put the chips and the canned goods in the same bag. He got upset, went, grabbed the cashier by the neck, said, you got a problem with me? Because I got a problem with you. Well, did the cashier have a problem with him, though? We don't know about it. No, the cashier said, I was just bagging his groceries, and he thought I was testing him. Chips and what? Can goods.
Starting point is 00:49:19 Can goods, like beans and green beans and corn. Not the best cashier, though. That is terrible bagging etiquette. Right, right. But I don't think he deserved to be slammed. No, he got thrown to the ground, and the guy was charged with simple assault. All over. And I don't know if the chips survived the altercation.
Starting point is 00:49:35 Was there any alcohol involved? They did not say alcohol was a factor. I would have got home. I got home and been like, oh, man, my chips are crushed. But I don't think I'd have wondered if the cashier was testing me. Yeah. And I don't think I would have slammed him. No.
Starting point is 00:49:48 And then he'd go to jail or what? Yeah, go to jail, simple assault, and he was upset because those were. his wife's chips. That's probably what it's all about. That wife probably is mean to him. So now it's her fault. Yeah. Well, my lunchbox, that's your bonehead story today.
Starting point is 00:50:03 Folks, it's your buddy and my... Mr. Bobby Bones. You know, Instagram's finally addressing a problem that they have because you'll watch these videos people put on their post and you can't rewind them. And you have to like start them over for like 45 seconds. Instagram may finally roll out a seek bar to let you actually skip through videos and rewind. Wow. Because there's a lot of times that I want to like, and I got to watch the whole thing again?
Starting point is 00:50:35 It's a big deal. Yeah, so they're testing a seek bar at the top of videos in Instagram feeds. Also, let me say this about Insta Stories, if you guys are like me and you're all over Insta Stories, is that you can put your finger on the story and pause it. I know I said this to you guys a few, maybe a month or so ago, and some of you guys didn't know that. I don't know that everybody knows that. Like, if you feel like the stories are flying by, too quick, you put your finger on it. It's hold it.
Starting point is 00:50:56 It pauses the video and you can look at it all you want. Did you know that? I did. Yeah. But a lot of people don't, so it's a good reminder. Bobby Bonds! Amy's son took a drum lesson? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:09 How'd they go? Well, I was kind of hoping it wasn't to go that well. Because you don't want drums in your house? Exactly. Like, I just really don't want that to be a thing. But guess what? The teacher said he's a natural. And she didn't say that about piano.
Starting point is 00:51:21 He started off with the piano, and then she suggested that we'd not go that route. Like, it wasn't going to work. And she was like, you know what? I think we should try drums. And I was like, no, no, no, no, no. finally gave in, he took a drum lesson, and now she thinks that he has natural rhythm, he has a good memory, and she sees potential. And he actually had so much fun, and he's begging to do more. It's fun to hit things, though, if you're a kid. I wonder if she's just saying that
Starting point is 00:51:46 because she doesn't want you pulling him out of all lessons. No, I mean, no, because we could sign him up for ukulele. Like, we could sign, there's all kinds of music lessons at this place. But eventually, they're going to want you to take keep one and have to say, oh, they're pretty good. would see a promise? Well, I don't know why they wouldn't just stick with piano when we first signed up. Maybe he didn't like it. No. Did you watch him play drums?
Starting point is 00:52:08 No, I wasn't at the drum lesson. But, I mean, I was there to get, I didn't watch, like, him actually play. But no. But she did say, she should tell me he was a natural talent. And I'm quoting here, she was very impressed with how much he already knew. Oh, wow. So it means it came organically to him. I don't know, y'all.
Starting point is 00:52:27 What do you think? Bones? It's funny you say that. That's exactly what our music teacher told my son. With drums? He was a natural quote, unquote. He was just made to do this. He was like, what?
Starting point is 00:52:40 When he got home, I was like, show me your skills. He was like, that's all I did, Dad. Okay, well, I don't know. I mean, maybe I'm being duped. I have no idea. All I know is that he tried a piano. She said his attention span wasn't there. He wasn't, like, it just wasn't a good fit for him.
Starting point is 00:52:54 But for Stashear, it was. For him, she would recommend drums. I fully expected to come back and be like, okay, we're trying another instrument, but now, I mean, with her saying he's a natural talent and him having fun, maybe I should go for it. Well, I agree. If he's having fun, you should go for it. But just remember, it's a business.
Starting point is 00:53:11 And if your kids aren't taking a lesson, they're not making money. Right. Well, they're going to be in music lessons. She doesn't need to worry about that. Don't lie to me. We'll figure out something. Now Amy's getting mad at her. Mom's mad.
Starting point is 00:53:20 She's actually done nothing wrong to Amy. We've shifted Amy to be mad. What's up with the drum kit? Well, they have, so here's the thing. thing. For now at home, we don't have to have a drum set. You can just like practice beats like on a even like a pillow or something.
Starting point is 00:53:36 And then you can, if you really gets into it, they now make drums that like a little set that's electric and you can plug headphones into it like with little pads and he can hit the pads with the sticks. But only he hears it so it. So it's not really loud and annoying.
Starting point is 00:53:51 Gotta be so boring for him. He's going to want a drum kid if he's practicing and it's all they's going to want. Well, whatever. Well, good news. And you can buy it from them for just a low price. That's true. We can buy it from them. Okay, guys. All right.
Starting point is 00:54:02 Well, I don't know. You watch him and then you tell us. What if he is a natural talent? That'd be awesome. What if he could drum for the raging idiots? I would love it. Okay. How cool would that be?
Starting point is 00:54:12 That would be the coolest. Some people say, like, when, I mean, he's just never been exposed to it. He's eight. Like, some people that come in here, you're like, when did you start playing guitar? And they're like, oh, it's four. It just came naturally. Like, now she's getting mad at us. Like, she's getting mad at everyone.
Starting point is 00:54:25 An American cruise ship passenger is facing up 10 years in prison. Apparently they're in the Cayman Islands and they had a gun and ammo in their luggage. Ooh, no point no. She's 68. Who was she going to shoot up? Was it an accident? Did she forget it there? A celebrity cruises passenger from Wisconsin faces up to 10 years in a Cayman Islands prison.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Eish. That's just like not, no, no. America needs to help her get out. If she committed a crime, though, and she was over there. Have you never watched that show Locked Up Abroad? No, I've only seen Locked Up Here. And I don't even want to be locked up here, so I don't want to be locked up there. Yeah, I definitely don't want to be locked up here.
Starting point is 00:55:09 But they found a gun and they say six rounds of ammo, which is six bullets. I don't know what kind of... But what does it say why she had it? Carol Ann McNeil Scorpoon, 68, was reportedly on a nine-night cruise when a bag that had been misplaced on her flight from Wisconsin to Florida where the cruise ship departed arrived at the Cayman Islands. What does that mean? A bag that had been misplaced on her flight. Okay, so maybe it didn't make it with her on the flight.
Starting point is 00:55:36 So then it was brought to her later to the Cayman Islands and then they discovered it had a weapon. Like it shouldn't have been brought? No, no. So she got on the plane in wherever she's from Wisconsin. And she probably boards in Florida. And so when she got to Florida, there was no bag. No bag.
Starting point is 00:55:50 So the cruise company says, we will get your bag to you wherever you're at. And so they brought it to her in the Cayman Islands. And that's how they found it? And then it probably went through security. They had to go through security to get it into the Cayman Islands. And it's like, uh-oh, we don't allow guns. You're in trouble.
Starting point is 00:56:05 She was detained after a 25 caliber handgun and six rounds of ammo were found in the bag. She's being released on $10,000 on her bail. Listen, I'm going to tell you this. You let me out on bail. I go back to Wisconsin. I'm not going back near the Cayman Islands. It's like, I used to think I'd get a speeding ticket in, like, Idaho. I'd be like, I'm never going back to Idaho.
Starting point is 00:56:22 I'm not going to pay this thing. They can't get it back unless I go back. Exactly. But yeah, 10 years. You shouldn't know the rules. No, but I mean, I'm just wondering, like, was she scared to go to the Caymans? That don't go.
Starting point is 00:56:36 Or, no, no, I mean, no. Listen, I'm wondering. Or did she forget that gun was in that bag? You know? Again, don't forget. And how did that bag? Oh, I guess you can check the ammo in America. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:48 I was like, wait a second. How come this didn't get stopped in Wisconsin? Remember when Shay from Dan and Shay got busing? at the airport for taking a gun through? Yeah. With, I was going to say a grenade, but you're right,
Starting point is 00:56:57 it was a gun. She has a grenade. The whole story changes. Should I remember Maddie and Tay had a rocket launch? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was a gun. But that was an accident. The best thing to do
Starting point is 00:57:08 if you're feeling anxious, they say now, and I get crazy anxiety. I was talking to Amy about it this morning. Like, I wake up, which is my neck pounding for no reason. And then Amy's like, what is it really? Should I have a moment with me?
Starting point is 00:57:19 It's like, let's talk deep. Let's get deep. What is it really? No, it has to be something. but you don't know what it is yet. I don't have to know. I feel pretty good right now, but I'm just struggling.
Starting point is 00:57:31 And what anxiety is, it's not stress. It's not something where something's happening and you go, oh, I see why this, it just hits me for no reason. And I don't know why. And I wake up and it wakes me up
Starting point is 00:57:43 and then I can't go back to sleep all night so I get like an hour of sleep. But they say try standing like a flamingo on one leg. All right. If I... It tames tension. The area of the... brain responsible for balance also controls anxiety.
Starting point is 00:57:56 They say. Maybe that's why yoga helps. You know, here's the thing about yoga, right? I go to yoga and they do all these moves and they're like, it's not time for the hardest position of the class, Savasana. And that's when you just lay down and take a break, it's over. That's the easiest position. Yeah, they're saying it's hard because you can't, it's hard to quiet your mind.
Starting point is 00:58:16 No, it's not. It's not? I feel like your mind is, no, you're, no, like I think you are hard to quiet because your brain is constantly racing. Savasana is the easiest position. You just lay down and go, because I don't like yoga. I don't like exercise.
Starting point is 00:58:30 I like eating cake and watching Netflix. And I don't do a lot of that. But I go to these yoga classes and I wear a watch. I'm that annoying person that watches time the whole time. Do you do that? I wear my watch, but you're, some teachers do not like it. Yeah, well, they don't like it when I do it
Starting point is 00:58:45 because I look at it the whole time. Like, annoyingly, I'm like, I don't have my glasses on so I can't see. So I'm like holding it up close to my eyes. Yeah. Real obvious. Yeah, it's real obvious. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 01:03:23 Tell me nothing You can't tell me nothing Can't tell me nothing The biggest pop song is Seven Rings, Ariana Grande. Yeah, miss. Just stop watching my neck. If you like my hair. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:03:53 So just by looking at a cup of coffee, it'll help start to wake you up. Because research says, thanks to the psychological connection that we have between drinking coffee and being more alert, those two things are so tied together in our brains that we see coffee, brains perk up. A bit Pavlovian, even. Well, yes. Yeah. Did I tell you about my Pavlovian experience with my... Do you want to explain what that means? Yeah. So Pavlov's dog is like whenever he would ring a bell or something and then the food would be... He'd ring the bell and feed him at the same time.
Starting point is 01:04:28 Ring the bell and feed him. Ring the bell and feed him. Then when he would just ring the bell and he wouldn't feed him, the dog's mouth would still water. Salivate. Yeah. There you go. So I think that that's really cool and it can happen in other areas. I was picking my son up from dance class, and it's right by this carpenter I used to go to. And I just really like that feeling of having my back popped. My back's actually feeling okay the last two days. So I see him and he walks by.
Starting point is 01:04:54 He's like, hey, you're here for an adjustment? I said, no, I'm just grabbing my son. But, like, just seeing him, like, made me, I mean, for like all the night long, the rest of the night, all I wondered was for my back to be popped. Oh, wow. Just seeing him. But, I mean, I didn't get it popped. There's a, it's funny how you just see things and it makes you feel things.
Starting point is 01:05:10 There was a Mexican restaurant near my house, and I just drove by it yesterday. I got gas. I started driving by it. You didn't eat any beans or anything. I was like, bror. Yeah. But it's almost like I saw my car factory and started salivating. And this Pavlov thing happened in 1897.
Starting point is 01:05:24 I just looked it up. Yeah. We still talk about it. That's crazy. Because it's a real thing. Like my dog, when I, she has to sit when we feed her, she has to sit across the room and she can't come until we say come. But she hears that food go in the thing, the noise. And, like, drool just like starts going down.
Starting point is 01:05:39 That happens to Dwight, too. Jim does it. Oh, somebody was... With the mint. Yes. Whenever I told my friend about the carpenter story, she told me about
Starting point is 01:05:49 that happening on the office. He starts the computer up. Hilarious. Where are you on the office? Season 9, but I've definitely missed this stuff. Am I? 29 seasons. Jim's about to maybe take some of her job.
Starting point is 01:06:02 Is you about to take some of their job? Are you sure in season 9? I don't think you are. I think it's like 7. No, I'm 8. Season 8. Okay, go ahead. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Okay. So anyway, look at coffee. This helps, too, if you're trying to cut back on your coffee, like, go ahead and drink your coffee. But then if you want another cup, try just looking at it. So I have a little game, like, is it legal? Can I look at it like my exercise bike? It's like feel, same thing. It's going to look at it.
Starting point is 01:06:26 It's just worked out today. All right. I have heard that to visualize yourself working out. Okay, so fact check is it legal. So we've had this is stuff that. This game is never good. Wait, wait, what? No, this is stuff we've addressed on the show lately.
Starting point is 01:06:39 So I'm going to cover it. So is ordering pieces to someone else's house illegal? And you say that because people were just sending pizzas to your house. And then you moved because you were like, what's happening? Yeah, because I was like, who knows my address? This is creepy. And no, it's not illegal. Go right ahead.
Starting point is 01:06:54 So it's legal. Really? You can do that? Yeah. What about taxi cabs? Because I did that when I was a kid. That's how I lost my first $20 bill ever. So the house across the street, we thought it would be funny to order four different cab companies to the house and just watch them come and go.
Starting point is 01:07:09 So we're out playing basketball and they come and go, come and go, and the fourth one pulls up. And at the same time, the lady gets home and her husband is home. And I don't know why she freaked out. She jumps out of her car and it's in neutral. And it goes rolling down the hill. And one of my buddies jumps in and drives it back in the driveway. And then the cab driver's like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:07:27 I recognize your voice. You're the one that called. And he threatened to call the cops on us unless we gave him $20 for gas. And guess who had a $20 bill? My first one ever. And I had to give it to him. And Adam said, don't worry. I'll pay you back.
Starting point is 01:07:38 Never paid me back. What on earth? Well, also, people aren't really calling taxicabs anymore. Right, but it was awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it says here a restraining order can be placed if you keep doing it, and that could, you know, get you in some legal trouble, but it's not illegal. Okay, here's another one.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Do you need to disclose if your house was ever on TV? Which is for you because you didn't know your house was on a reality show. Right, until some woman knocked on my door and was like, basically, can I see the inside? I loved this house on this reality show. Which is weird. I was like, they should tell you when you buy it. It's like if somebody dies in your house or like drug deals. Like they arrested a meth lab in there.
Starting point is 01:08:10 Okay, so the answer is no, you're not legally required to disclose if your property has been featured on a TV or a movie. And then things you do have to disclose, though, deaths, paranormal activity, lead paint, pests, repairs, neighbor disputes. Neighbor disputes. Like the shootout you had with the next. Yeah, I got brutal. All right, what else? Well, this is one that lunchmogs wonders about. Can you get arrested for running from the cops even if you've done nothing wrong?
Starting point is 01:08:38 You know, I've always wanted lunchbox to do this. I think this question is a bit weird because you can say the cops are like, hey, they think you did something and they chase you. You can't run. But you can run if you just go up and just take off running. You're like, catch me if you can. Look at the cop in the eye and be like, I'm out and start running fast. That's legal. Basically, if they haven't said stop and they're trying to detain you in some way, then, you know, you can't be illegal.
Starting point is 01:09:02 You can't get me, cover. And they take off running and you've done nothing. Exactly. But if they're chasing you and you didn't do anything wrong, that you have to pretty much go to court and prove you right. Lunchbox, please do this. All right, is that it? Okay, well, one more thing.
Starting point is 01:09:14 Around the room, how did everybody pay for college? Took an ACT test. How'd you pay for college? That's how you paid for it? Scholarships, right? Complete. I couldn't afford college. I know.
Starting point is 01:09:26 I didn't know. I mean, you worked. Yeah. And then you got. That's how I ate. And then you got scholarships. Yes, ACT took it. Any student loans?
Starting point is 01:09:35 I did it. I studied it. I nailed it. Passed it. Passed it. Yeah. We just won. I bought some clothes.
Starting point is 01:09:42 $1,000, bought some clothes. I'd never for school. I crushed the ACT. Luckily, I know it's studied for it forever. Lunchbox? Loan, scholarships, grants, all the above. He thought he sounded so cool when he said grants. Yeah, it's money you didn't have to pay back.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Okay. Anybody use a sugar daddy? Like my real dad. Me too. Me too. I know. My parents. parents paid for mine.
Starting point is 01:10:06 But no, this is like legit sugar daddies. And apparently Georgia State University is ranked in number one in America for the number of students using sugar daddies to pay tuition. What? I wonder how they know that. And who answers that question? It's a website and you go to it and they see the most activity.
Starting point is 01:10:24 UTSA, my own monitor, is one of like top 15 in the nation. Woo! Yeah. And then if you're one of the recipients, you're the sugar baby. No, but I'm saying, though, if someone's just doing it and just like, here's money. Lunchbox is right. There's websites.
Starting point is 01:10:36 No, no, I know their websites, but I bet most don't come off websites. I bet most are just older men taking care of people in college, just giving them checks to go. And good for them, I guess. Well, to each their own. Apparently, there's a group called seeking arrangements, and they help arrange relationships like those, you know, that need college tuition and stuff. Hey, as long as it's not illegal happening, nobody's doing anything gets their will. No, go for it.
Starting point is 01:11:03 All right. Is that it, Amy? Yeah, maybe. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Come on, listen to this one. A single mom who has three kids in Nevada was blown away because her teenage son gave her a car. Crystal Preston shared the news on Facebook because her 13-year-old William bent out mowing yards, saved up the money, and bought her a 1999 Chevy Metro. Wow. Her son mows yards and cleans yards to earn money.
Starting point is 01:11:35 He said, when he saw the car for sale on Facebook, he said, hey, can I trade for it, can I earn for it, can I work for it? They agreed, saved up, worked for it, bought his mom the gift, the car was broken, their original car. So when they bought her this. Can you imagine? A 13-year-old, too. It's not like a 22-year-old that's got a real job and put it all the way.
Starting point is 01:11:54 Like, that's all the kid was doing, trying to raise money for his mom to buy a car. That's crazy. That's awesome. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bonesh. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 Second Skinny.
Starting point is 01:12:08 Luke Combs shared on our show yesterday that he wrote his current single, Beautiful Crazy for his fiancee before they had even started dating. He met her and instantly felt inspired and he played the song for her two days after he wrote it. We had been hanging out for a couple of months and, you know, going on dates and hanging out and staying over at each other's place. And I hadn't asked her to, I guess, officially start dating yet. I was just like, man, I just knew she was different than anybody I'd met before. You know, and so I said, hey, why don't we just write it about this?
Starting point is 01:12:39 I've just met this girl. And I said, she's really neat and different and special. And so we just kind of went from there and it just happened to be perfect timing. Karianowitz Cry Pretty 360 tour is in full gear with rehearsals. And she's sharing some of the behind-the-zine's photos before things kick off. And they're all up at bobbybones.com. Well, not to overstage. Underwood's rehearsal.
Starting point is 01:13:02 But today, the first Raging Idiots rehearsal. Oh. Yeah. Eddie and I, you know, we got a new live record coming out, and we got some new people in the band. You know, the girl we took for American Idol, Emma, is practicing for the first day. So, you know, Carrie thinks fine. Yeah, come on. And we'll be announcing a new Raging Idiots tour with a funny name.
Starting point is 01:13:19 Are we going to have exclusive picks on our website? Well, it could be. Could be. I'm just saying, for sure they'll be up on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones. But, yeah, we can do that. What else, Morgan number two? We've got the Top Country albums this week at number one, Luke Combs. This one's for you.
Starting point is 01:13:34 And number two, Marron Morris' album, Girl. And then number three, Dan and Shea's self-titled album. Look at Dan and Jay still selling like crazy. Do you know what a lot of that's from? No. It's from their pop growth. So the pop stations, they're new to Dan and Shea. And so a lot of that audience is hearing them for the first time.
Starting point is 01:13:51 With like tequila and then speech lists continues to grow. And so it's a lot of people going, who's Dan plus She? And then they start going, oh, they're fantastic. Fantastic. We should check out the record, you know? Good for them, man. I can't root harder for Dan and Shea. I'm rooting so hard right now. Number three.
Starting point is 01:14:08 Is that it, Morgan number two? Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. Folks, it's your buddy and my... Mr. Bobby Bow! Did you just give me a sign? A wink? Like a...
Starting point is 01:14:29 This one's a little... The setup's different, so I said, follow me. Okay. Before that thing was hitting, Amy looks at me goes, Happy this is then gives me a wink. And I didn't know what that meant. All right, time for the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:14:42 The morning corny. I got fired from my job at the bank today. What do you tell me more? A lady asked me to check her balance, so I pushed her over. That's pretty funny. That's pretty funny. That was the morning corny. There you go.

Hey, good. I'm doing well. How are you guys? Pretty good. What can we do for you? Okay, so earlier this week you'd mention that somebody had a life-changing announcement, and I completely missed it, and it's killing me. All right?
Starting point is 01:18:42 First of all, you can always go back and listen to the podcast for free if you miss something, and you're like, oh, I've got to know. Sometimes you may not have time for that. But if you get on IHot Radio or wherever you listen to podcasts, just search Bobby Bone Show. That being said, you may have forgotten about that, so we'll happily update you now. But it was our producer Eddie, and Eddie has decided to foster two kids. So he had two kids already. now he has two extra kids
Starting point is 01:19:06 and now he has four kids living in his house. He has a baby and a... Do you say how old the other kid is? No. Just another kid. He's 19? He's got a baby and a 19 year old? No, he's got two kids now along with his two kids. So that's the announcement.
Starting point is 01:19:20 That's so amazing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, you know, the timeline's a little skewed because it didn't just happen, but I guess they kind of don't want you to talk about it right when it happens. Yeah, just for security reasons or whoever's listening, we never know. But yeah, I mean, gosh,
Starting point is 01:19:34 It's just really life changing. We made that announcement. It's just like, yes, that's what it did. It changed my life. And we're so happy to do it. There you go, Jonathan. Thanks, bud. That's incredible.
Starting point is 01:19:42 Yep, thank you. Have a great day. See you later. Hey, Nick in North Carolina. What's up? Hey, Bobby. Hey, buddy. Calling in to find out the girl that you took to the wedding, okay?
Starting point is 01:19:54 Are you going to call her back? I mean, if she was as nice to be with and as hot as everybody said, what are you are you waiting on, Bobby? Are you lecturing me right now? Come on. Listen to him. I mean, he's like, tell him. He's like, what are you wait for?
Starting point is 01:20:04 What are you waiting on? Come on, man. I haven't. What are you waiting on? He wants to know. What are you waiting on? What do you want for me, Nick, huh? Come on, man.
Starting point is 01:20:14 Come on, Bobby. I haven't, no, we haven't talked about going out again or anything like that. I mean, when was that wedding? Last Friday. Friday night? Last Friday night? Yeah. Five days or so.
Starting point is 01:20:22 Mm-hmm. She texted me happy birthday yesterday. Oh, that's huge. Yeah. But it was it. I mean, I think she's interested. You need to, don't drop the ball, man. I drop all the balls.
Starting point is 01:20:34 Nick. But no, there hasn't been talking about a second date or anything yet. Or if there will be. I don't know. So, there's that. As Nick says, what are you waiting on, man? I don't know. I don't know. We'll keep us posted. Yeah, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:20:50 No pressure. Well, yeah, there is. Nick's calling him yelling at me. Hey to be the bad news, but Netflix is warning subscribers. Price hike. You're in Netflix. Yeah, back up again. How much? Well, the subscriber rate.
Starting point is 01:21:05 is rising and they're emailing you to remind that the one they announced in January actually hits the next billing cycle. So it hasn't hit yet the one that they said, but it's like, it's about two hit. They're going up to $1 and $2. That'll make the cost between depending on which plan you're on $9 and $16, depending on the level of service. And so they got us because if they just announce a dollar, we're like, okay, we're not going to drop it for a dollar. They could keep nickeling and diming us for a long time. Yep. But here's where it's all going to get a little dicey is that Netflix is King Dingling of streaming, but Apple has announced it's going to be,
Starting point is 01:21:41 nothing's going to be good at first. Netflix wasn't good at first. Disney as Disney Plus, which is not Disney like all the Disney movies, but Disney owns ABC. Disney owns all that. They're going to have their services, NBC Universal, Warner Media,
Starting point is 01:21:53 all of these are going to have streaming services. Okay. And do we have to buy subscriptions to all of them? What's going to happen is you're going to end up dropping your cable. Right, but then all this is going to add up. in a different way. It'll be good because you get to choose what you want instead of having to take cable
Starting point is 01:22:08 and get all the channels you don't want. Right. So anytime there's competition, it's better for the consumer. And that's what we're starting to see here. But yeah, Netflix goes up because you're wondering. Anybody share an account still? Like, no.
Starting point is 01:22:21 You're using somebody else's? My in-laws. Yeah, there you go. Last night I had a birthday dinner, and Amy kind of put the whole thing on. And it was like, I would say six of the people that I'm closest to in my real personal life. So, what time was dinner?
Starting point is 01:22:35 6.30? Yeah. Let me say this about me. I'd like to compliment myself for a second if that's okay. Because I say always be on time, everywhere you go all the time. There's a dress code of this place. I don't even know. I guess I knew, but I didn't think about it.
Starting point is 01:22:46 I put my clothes on. I wore some jeans. I had on like a denim jacket, some nice tennis shoes going. I get probably a fifth of the way there. And I'm like, oh, no, the dress code. So I have to turn around and go home, change clothes again. And I still make it on time. I'm so proud of myself.
Starting point is 01:23:01 It's impressive. Well, because I always preach, always leave with enough time that if you get a flat tire that you can get there in time. But I was so happy with me that I put it on my Insa story and I was like, this is the greatest compliment to me. I'm on one time even though I was late. Bobby texted me that he forgot about the dress code and he had to turn around and go home and I was like, oh sweet, Bobby's going to be late now. We can take our time. Yeah. Loved it.
Starting point is 01:23:21 He still beat us there. I was like, oh, my goodness. So good. There's a picture on my Insta story of all of us last night. We go to dinner and everybody's dressed up and it's nice. and there was like a mentalist that came in and I'm such a nerd and you know what's even a mentalist right
Starting point is 01:23:36 we're trying to figure it out is he psychic he says no like he's just a trained magician of sorts he's like you know it's I'm trained yeah and so instead of like having him do tricks
Starting point is 01:23:46 I just kept asking him like the history of magic I was like hey man you ever met David Copperfield hey man and so he did like three tricks and most of we just like geeked out over you never know David Blaine you ever know is Chris Angel cool like we were total nerds
Starting point is 01:23:58 he did have interesting stories and it was time for him go, Bobby's like, you have to go? Yeah. When I first said down, because I, you know, I'm weird to new people. Like, I have a very small trust circle of, like, people that I'm like, I can kind of relax around
Starting point is 01:24:10 and I don't feel like I have to entertain. Which was kind of a part of this small birthday party. I was like, I just want the people that I just feel like, one, aren't going out of their way to come. And then two, that I can just hang out and not have to feel like the guy. Because I go somewhere, and if I'm not the life of the party,
Starting point is 01:24:26 people are like, oh, well, Bobby's a jerk. I'm like, no, I just, I'm pretty quiet whenever I'm not doing this nonsense here. And so the guy came and I was like, he was sitting down to eat with this. And I was like, well, this is weird. I sat down on his chair. Oh, yeah, so the head of the table.
Starting point is 01:24:39 Yeah, Bobby sat there. I was like, what's my birthday boy? And then the middleist comes in. He's like, ooh, actually, that's my seat. I was like, oh. And I was like, this son of us. And so I got over and went to my seat. And I was like, I don't know if I'm going to like this.
Starting point is 01:24:51 And then I ended up wanting him to hang out. I called him last night. Hey, man, you'll come over? It's like 9 o'clock. You want to come over the house? Oh, did you? So, anyway, it was good. And it was good.
Starting point is 01:24:59 We had a really good time. We got in and, I wouldn't say got in and out, but it wasn't super long. Yeah. It was right. It was appropriate. We left. It was Bobby Fashion. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Got there to the point, and then we left. I would say it was a little more than to the point. Yeah, I was going to say a little past Bobby Fashion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, I mean, he needed to stretch his boundaries. It was his birthday. That's true. But it was really good.
Starting point is 01:25:20 We did that last night. I thought, I just feel like a real turd sometimes. because for me birthdays have never been a big thing mostly because when you grow up and we didn't have a lot growing up and so birthdays were never made a thing because if you don't know that it's supposed to be a thing you don't miss it.
Starting point is 01:25:36 Did that make sense? Right. Like if you don't know you're supposed to get presents and you don't get presents, you're not really upset because you never got presents. And there wasn't like a bunch of love heaped on me in my birthday. It was never a thing
Starting point is 01:25:46 because we didn't have a lot to actually go, okay, here's some money to buy presents. So birthdays are weird. Birthdays are weird for me because I'm like, why? like everybody wants to like celebrate me. Like I get celebrated all the time. You know, I'm like on the show.
Starting point is 01:25:59 I'm talking to millions of people right now. There's no more celebrated than this. And so it's a weird feeling, especially when it's like personal people, like calling up and a lot of people reaching up yesterday. And I'm like, man, I don't reach out to people. And I feel like a real turd because when you have birthdays, to me it's not a thing.
Starting point is 01:26:16 I reach out to a couple people and be like, hey, but I got so many calls yesterday and like messages. So it made me feel kind of like I should do better job. job. Darius Rucker posted a whole thing on his Instagram feed, side by side of me. And I was like, what is he doing? Like, why is he even doing?
Starting point is 01:26:32 So I thought there were a lot of people reaching out. And our listeners, let me say this. I said, hey, I don't want any gifts from our listeners because they always get me the best stuff. And then I don't know how to reach out and say thank you. And they shouldn't. Like, I'm good. I'm fine.
Starting point is 01:26:47 But two things happen. One, I said, if you have anything and you were wanting to get me a gift, make the donation to musicians on call. It's an organization. It actually isn't for musicians. It's for people in hospitals. I was in the hospital a pretty significant amount of time as a kid. And I remember people coming into the hospital
Starting point is 01:27:05 and doing entertainment or church groups would come, and it really helped me get through my stay. And so what I do is I go and I volunteer and we'll play music for veterans and we'll play music for kids. And it can be for any age group, but those are who I feel comfortable going in a volunteer for. And so this organization, I'm also on the board,
Starting point is 01:27:24 I said, hey, make donation like a dollar for birthday. Like $6,000 yesterday from our listeners. Doing like a dollar and $5, which is so crazy. And then some of the B team, which are the real hardcore listeners of this show, without my knowledge, got together and organized their own gift and they donated like $14,500 to Austin Pets Alive, an animal charity that I'm super close to.
Starting point is 01:27:50 and they were just like, hey, by the way, we got together and put this out. And I'm just thinking, man, listen, I felt very loved yesterday. It's really weird. That's good. It's really a weird feeling for me. I don't do well with receiving love. But it's cool. Even Brian, Seacrest tweeted out of a thing.
Starting point is 01:28:05 He's like, I know you think we're twins. There's a picture of us standing together. Some people think we look exactly alike. But only one of us has a birthday. And it was like, you have to do that. So it was a cool thing. It was good. So.
Starting point is 01:28:18 Do you feel like you did? this was the year of growth for you. Do you feel like you did better at your birthday this year? Did you feel it? I feel like I noticed it. I feel like it made me more uncomfortable this year. So that means I actually walked out deeper into the water. So yes, you don't grow unless you're stretched, right?
Starting point is 01:28:40 Like just in general, in life, you're not going to get any better. You're not going to grow unless there's actually some growth happening. And that happens through stretching yourself and being a comfortable. You never gather new skills unless you go out and you're vulnerable. And I think yesterday I was a bit that. It doesn't have to be birthday. It can be any part of your life. You're just not going to get better at something unless you put yourself out there and make it feel uncomfortable.
Starting point is 01:29:05 So it was very uncomfortable at times. It's still uncomfortable right now the day after. Amy's daughter was texting me last night from, do you know this? Well, yeah, I was getting ready for bed. I had some like show prep to do, getting ready for bed, washing my face. And I came in and yeah, she's on the couch with Mary. She was asleep when we got home, by the way. And the sitter was like, yeah, I think I got both kids down, whatever.
Starting point is 01:29:24 And then the sitter leaves. And then Stasheera comes to the top of the stairs. And she looks at me and Mary. She's like, hey, girls. She's like slumber party. So she comes down. And yeah, I guess she had Mary's phone or something. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:35 And all of a sudden, I should have to get texts. And she goes, hey, it's DeSira on Mary's phone. And I was like, why are you awake? Because it was like 10 o'clock. And she was like, she was doing bracelets. And she goes, here. And then she sends me this YouTube video. Yeah, the chip.
Starting point is 01:29:48 Yeah, the chipmunks. I didn't actually sing you this. Yeah. And I was like, thanks. You should be asleep. And she goes, nah, not yet. She goes, here's another one. And then she sends me a happy birthday video for kids that want to learn English better.
Starting point is 01:30:02 Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. So funny. And then she's like, been playing piano. And I was like, yeah, how's that going? She goes, mom's going to give me a keyboard. And I was like, oh, yeah? And then she's like, been doing ballet.
Starting point is 01:30:17 And I was like, yeah, she sent me a giff of a ball. And I was like, She said, where are you learning all this, the phones? Oh, she's good. She's good at phones. Yeah, so, yeah, we were talking last night. She texted me a picture. It's all my Insta story.
Starting point is 01:30:28 Yeah, Mr. Bobby Bones. She goes, I'm sitting here with Mom and Mary, and Amy's like her fingers. I was washing my face. Her fingers are deep in her eyeballs. Like, she has no idea the picture's being taken. But you can see that. It's on my answer story at Mr. Bobby Bones. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:30:40 I kind of was being a cool mom and letting her stay up. But, yeah, I didn't know she was doing all that. I knew that y'all were sort of texting, but I had no idea she was sending you videos. And I was like, go to bed. You're going to bed You're like 11 I shouldn't be awake at this point Yeah
Starting point is 01:30:54 But it was a good birthday It was good You did a great job with the party You know what was hard for me to do Was let you pay the bill Oh That was tough That may have been the toughest part of it
Starting point is 01:31:05 I wanted to do that And I felt awkward And I lowered my head And just walked out of the room And I was like okay Well one thing with you A lot of time And I learned this from
Starting point is 01:31:12 Previous birthday parties Is like you You want to take care of all your friends Like you don't want anybody to come to something, especially that might be, you don't want anybody to feel uncomfortable about paying or feel out of place for you, right? I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable because I've made them do something, which is why I didn't want a bigger party than I had last night. Right. So, which wasn't you.
Starting point is 01:31:33 It was me and we just, like, I wanted it to be awesome and I wanted there to be the mentalist. And I wanted people to just have fun and not worry about anything. So, but mostly you not worry about anything. And a way that I could do that as a gift to you was to just nobody had to worry. And it was, so it was great. Totally fun. There was a little bit of uncomfortable growth that happened there for sure. I was like, ugh.
Starting point is 01:31:53 I had to act like I didn't see the bill. I was like, don't look. If you close your eyes, it doesn't happen. It's like sometimes when you're in a yellow light and it's about to turn red and you're driving, close your eyes. If it doesn't turn red, you don't get in trouble. You're good. Yeah. You can be like, awesome, I didn't see the red light.
Starting point is 01:32:03 So, yeah. Yeah, that's a, I got to shake that, right? Yeah. I just, I remember just growing up and feeling uncomfortable people would pay for me. So I don't like that. So I'm just like, no one ever pays for me. and then I pay for it. I don't want anybody else feel uncomfortable because...
Starting point is 01:32:17 I didn't know if you were going to try to pull. No. I know. I know. I know you didn't try to pull anything, but don't worry. I'd already roadblocked you before. I made sure the waiter knew, because I had already, the event coordinator, they already knew everything. But even the waiter sheet, I had her, like, bring him to me specifically before.
Starting point is 01:32:33 And I was like, you only just talk to me about anything. Like, if... Because I picture Bobby trying to, like, sneak back and do something. And I'm like, uh-uh. I just thought like that would be disrespectful to you. So I did it. Okay. Well, I already would have...
Starting point is 01:32:45 They already been like, I'm sorry, sir, you have to walk away. Yeah. Well, it was really good. I'll tell you, Sharnah, my partner from Dancing with the Stars, put up an into story. We have all the clips, so I can put it up on the website. But she took her like two hours to put up. It was really, like, I mean, it was really good. I should have a better word than that as a professional speaker.
Starting point is 01:33:06 But it was really good. And she put so much time into it. She had clips from the very first interview that I ever did, whenever that camera showed up for Dance with Stars. and they were like, hey, I was like, well, I'm not very good, but there's no way we're going to lose. We're going to win this thing. And she was like, who are you? I just watched you dance.
Starting point is 01:33:22 There's no way we're winning this thing. So anyway, it was good. It was a good birthday. I don't think I'll talk about it anymore today. But just I'm going to say, all the listeners, all the B team, appreciate you guys so much. And it was good. Nothing else I'm just going to say good. We're just escape this speaker right now.

Starting point is 01:37:29 Hi, Bobby. I'm good. I'm a long-time listener, first-time caller. Thanks. What do you want to know? I wanted to know what the update was with Ray. And if he's going to go to the Big Brother. Oh, Ray Mundo is our audio producer.
Starting point is 01:37:44 and he sits in a glass room. You always say, like a pretty short fellow, but like a bodybuilder, right? Mm-hmm. Is that how you make up for the height thing? Not really. I just like to work out and get my muscles bigger. It's pretty simple. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:38:00 Yeah. I just feel like you have a height. I really don't. I've been short my entire life. I mean, if I can't get over something in 33 years, something's wrong with me. Your twin brother's pretty tall, though, huh? He's a tall dude. He's like six foot something.
Starting point is 01:38:10 But that doesn't irritate you still? Not at all. I don't see him that often. Oh. When I am around him, though, it is tough because I'm like, we're twins. Now we get into it. So, Ray Mundo, been on the show for a long. How long?
Starting point is 01:38:21 Years, five years? How long, like, aside from being paid? Eight years, probably. Been with us for a while, and his dreams always be on Big Brother. He watched that show all the time. And they were coming to town to do some sort of audition process. Yeah, I did the audition, and then they said they're going to contact me within two weeks. They shot me an email and said, next round starts May 1st, because they're shooting for a summer.
Starting point is 01:38:43 It's like the season. That's usually when it goes down. And so you haven't heard anything since? Well, it's May. So, I mean, wait until April 3rd. Right, but wait till May 1st. That's when the, yeah, you'll get here. If you don't hear anything by then, they said, forget about it, or they didn't, you
Starting point is 01:38:55 didn't get the make the cut. You would leave this show to go to Big Brother. I can talk to them, see how many rounds I've made it through or whatever, see how many people are left, see, like, I can't get. But you'd go on the show. Like, you'd be done. You would leave the show if they say you have a spot on Big Brother. It would be a difficult decision because it's three months.
Starting point is 01:39:10 So at that moment in time, I would make the decision. If it were today, would you leave the show? If they can guarantee me. They're not going to guarantee you anything because they don't care that much. Well, I can't fly out to L.A. and stay out there for a week and learn that I'm not on the show. So I would need them to guarantee that I'm going to be on the show if I fly there. Okay, but if they're guaranteed you, would you leave this show full time? I would say yes, because I think I can get my jaw back when I come back.
Starting point is 01:39:30 Oh, you do? Yes. Yes. I would like to think that. Wow. Ramundo is trying to be a little detective over there. You know the girl I went out to New York? Yes.
Starting point is 01:39:39 Somehow he's like How did you find her? It wasn't that easy I ended up looking at pictures And it wasn't just you in the picture It was also looking at backgrounds I was able to do context clues Look at clothing
Starting point is 01:39:50 And then I just went through Stuff that went on in New York And stuff like that And looked at this and that He said me this long note last night He goes, I figured out who the girl You've been going out what the New York is Yeah, you got to research everything
Starting point is 01:40:00 So I'm just telling people out there If you really want to know Who Bones went on the date with You can find this girl So was he right? Oh yeah Yeah Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:40:09 Well, I've been out a couple times with her. Yeah. But, yeah, it's been like a page note. Like, I found her. I'd have been like, I would have just told you, Ray. Like, who is it? Yeah, I just knew there was a way to find it out, and it's there. But, I mean, our listeners know you can dig for stuff and find it out.
Starting point is 01:40:24 Yeah. What you think? I said she's a good-looking girl. But they don't know what you said. You message me. Our listeners don't know what you said. She's very good looking at. She seems nice and talented as well and famous.
Starting point is 01:40:35 No. No. No. No, that's not super famous, but she's famous. Relax. I really think she is. Relax. Madonna.
Starting point is 01:40:45 I knew it. It's not Madonna. No, you're all wrong on that. Okay, Raymondo. Good luck with Big Brother. Thank you. Hey, Morgan, thank you for the call. Is that acceptable of a response and update?
Starting point is 01:40:57 I just knew Monday that that was going to be the story that he was leaving, and I was really sad. So I'm glad that Eddie is a foster parent, and Raymondo, not leaving. Well, yet, unless they offer him a job and then he's going to leave because he thinks he can come back. Okay. Is that how little you think of me, Ramundo? That I'm not a man of my word. What are you talking about? And be like, if you leave, you're going. Well, like,
Starting point is 01:41:21 that's a discussion we can have. We don't have to have it today. Oh, okay. Yeah. But let the producers come to me. They said, May 1st. So I honestly will let you guys know. You'd be the greatest reality show contestant. And I think I could use it the same way you use Dancing with the Stars. I mean, I feel like it's led to more opportunities. Okay.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Yeah, I mean, what we've learned is you do a reality show, you're going to be an Instagram star, you're going to get more followers. Why not do a reality show? Sort of, but, okay. Thank you, Raymond. And if you can use it at the same time as a radio show like you're doing, that's what I'm trying to do. Okay, you got it, buddy. Yeah. Thank you. There is.
Starting point is 01:41:53 The Mighty Raymundo. I think that was, that's also the, yeah, I don't know. We good. By the way, if you want to update on anything, you can call us 877-77 Bobby. here's an announcement for you that every Friday in the month of April we will be doing 90s country Friday morning conversations. Yeah. So that being said, this Friday coming in to not only talk with us but play.
Starting point is 01:42:21 Shannon Doa. This is so cool. Yeah, it's cool. I was pretty happy when I thought of it. I was like, it would be good. And then we started reaching out and reeling them in. And I know a lot of these guys too. I don't know if I want to do it.
Starting point is 01:42:34 It's got to be hard to find them though, right? Because they're not just hanging around town anymore. Well, sometimes. Like, I'll go play the Grand Ole Opry. Yeah. And they play the Opry. I met Shannon Don't have the Opry. I picture a lot of these 90s guys just like, I'm done with this.
Starting point is 01:42:46 I'm going to the farm. Good luck finding me. Some? Yeah. This is cool. So they're going to come in Friday and play. They got to put your foot down on the floor. Do the church on the Cumberland Road?
Starting point is 01:43:04 They're going to play this? Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you want, should I announce to the next week or no? That can be exciting Maybe I already did Just do it Then the next week
Starting point is 01:43:14 I'm bringing in But bubba Joe Diffy's gonna come in We'll talk with Joe On the hot summer night Catch up on a couple things You know we announced earlier That Netflix's prices going up
Starting point is 01:43:30 That was a new story a couple months ago But what's happening now Is it's actually going up Whenever your next billing cycle is So if it does pop up a couple bucks That's why The Ted Bundy biopic on Netflix They've announced that
Starting point is 01:43:44 May 3rd It's weird that they announce Even a month out Because sometimes And the best thing about Netflix is You don't even know it's coming You turn it on You're like, oh, this looks fantastic
Starting point is 01:43:52 They put it up in that little corner of the screen They like show you Yeah What was that movie you watched the Netflix? Army movie? Oh, third frontier Triple frontier Triple frontier
Starting point is 01:44:01 Yeah Well so this has Jim Parsons From Big Bang Theory Haley Joel Osmet this one, the Netflix movie about Ted Bundy. Oh, is Zach Ephron in it? He's the main guy. He's Ted.
Starting point is 01:44:15 Which is weird and I feel guilty that I'm looking forward to this. Just when I watched the Ted Bundy tapes because he was a serial killer. And I watched it and I was so entertained by the production and how they did those episodes in that docu series that I was like, wow, I really enjoyed that. But then I go,
Starting point is 01:44:31 I can't believe I just enjoyed a real life story of someone who was so bad. Yeah. I'm torn, but I'm ready to see. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm like, wow. I'm ready. It just seems fake. I know it wasn't, but if it's on TV, it doesn't seem real. And a little bit of me doesn't like me because I'm so ready for this.
Starting point is 01:44:50 You know the Michael Jackson documentary? Do you see this? The new news? I don't know the new news. Headline. Some of the evidence against Michael Jackson and leaving Neverland may have been wrong. Shocking? Well, I'll read you what it is.
Starting point is 01:45:06 When I watched it, as I said, I believed them, but I was like, Jackson can't respond and he's already been acquitted twice. And I believed them. It was just a, it was tough to watch too. I don't know if they can make all that stuff. I guess you can. I did believe them, but I was like, man, there's no way for him to respond. And of these same crimes, he was acquitted twice.
Starting point is 01:45:31 You tell me what you think. If this changes your mind at all on even the theory that maybe they were making it out, because I believe them. That being said, here's the story of the news. today. A Michael Jackson biographer found some holes in the testimony that the two alleged victims gave in the documentary leaving Neverland came down in the timeline discrepancies, but they do cast some possible doubt on their testimonies that says in the story here. A guy named Mike Smallcomb, who once wrote a biography of Michael Jackson, said he found two
Starting point is 01:45:58 contradictions in the testimony of James, Safechuck, and Wade Robson, the two guys that were, this is about. Safe Chuck, one of the guys, claims that Michael Jackson abused him between 88 and 92, and he was 14 when it happened. He also says he was abused in the upstairs room in the train station at the Neverland Ranch. But the biographer says, that can't happen because the train station wasn't even built then.
Starting point is 01:46:21 It wasn't even built until 1993. It didn't open until early 94. When you weren't 14, you were 16. So it's little things like this where you go, well, you would think that it's just been completely accurate in all they were saying on that documentary. You know, you really don't think you...
Starting point is 01:46:37 Yeah, I know. Well, but I hear that. as a kid sometimes I say, like even to this day I still struggle with. Like I have a memory when my dad left. I feel like I was eight, but sometimes I say nine. The director of leaving Neverland isn't disputing this. And so I think there was a, what was the Wade Robson when? There was a different one too. Oh, it's a different page.
Starting point is 01:46:56 Here we go. The second contradiction comes from Wade Robson. He said he stayed at Neverland Ranch from Michael in 1990 while the rest of his family went to Grand Canyon. But back when Michael was facing this in the deposition, the family said, the mom said, no, the whole family went, including Wade. Oh. So again, this is just a small part of it, but you start to go, I don't know. Anyway, there's that. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 01:47:16 With Amy. Tell me something good. So this main girl is honored for saving her mother after she lost consciousness and all driving. And again, she's only 12 years old. And yeah, my daughter's 11. And I'm like, what would happen if I passed out while I was driving? So they were driving down a road. Another car was approaching them from the opposite direction.
Starting point is 01:47:38 So the 12-year-old grabbed the wheel and eased it off to the side of the road and didn't even hit the trees. So got out of the way of the oncoming car, didn't hit the trees, and they were able to pull over safely. Fire department arrived and everything's going to be okay. But 12-year-old took action.
Starting point is 01:47:55 I'm now 39. I don't know if I would do that right. Like pull a car over safely? You just have to be quick thinking. Yeah. Good for her. That's good. That was tell me something good. What were we going to say? I was just going to say instead of just yelling like, mom, mom, wake up or something. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:14 Buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me see. I read a story back a second ago about the Michael Jackson documentary and they found some holes in the two guys' stories where they said they were at one place and they were like, well, this place wasn't even built in. And I said Michael Jackson had acquitted twice. He was acquitted once and he settled once about something else. So he did get acquitted once, but he didn't get acquitted twice. Listener texted me that.
Starting point is 01:48:47 Well, yeah, I just feel like We're talking about the documentary And we're like, wow, this is awful And it is awful But if that story comes out, we should also go, hey, this comes out today. Just kind of try to show both sides Of whatever it is.
Starting point is 01:49:02 I believe them. But again, if we don't acknowledge that, then I don't feel like we're doing our job And sharing everything that's out there. We don't want to be the news Because the news just says what they want to say. We'll go to what channel you go to And they'll just tell you what they want you to hear.
Starting point is 01:49:14 I thought we don't do that as humans. But you know. So there's that. I have this story about this bride, and she refuses to cater for her vegan wedding guests, saying if they want special food, they can bring it on their own cost. Dang. Okay, Amy, go ahead. What do you think about this?
Starting point is 01:49:28 I mean, if it's going to cost her extra, I understand, like, if she has to do that. But I feel like the venue should work with her, but. A bride of spark debate after refusing to cater for vegan guests. She said if the two guests want special food, they can bring their own food. Oh. She can't have some sort of. of an option like lettuce salad something the bride said she and her husband to be had organized tacos for guests and they would not be adjusting their plans to cater for vegan plates what are
Starting point is 01:49:58 they going to eat lettuce and beans i feel like the fiance should speak to her in advance to let her know what we're having for dinner she said i mean when you're a vegan you know going into places because there are times in my life or sometimes i'm vegan sometimes i'm not but i know if i'm being vegan that day and i'm going somewhere i don't expect anybody to cater to me i have to look through and see what I can eat and if I make it work and then yeah I may have to have some snacks
Starting point is 01:50:21 in my pocket. Well, I feel like this bride who is putting the story out there I think she's all right and it's her wedding. Yeah. Like it is. I don't go to someone's house
Starting point is 01:50:31 and then get mad at what they're giving me for free. And again, and the headline makes you want to be mad because the bride refuses to cater. The bride has the right.
Starting point is 01:50:43 This is not some public. Right. It's her party. Government funded. It's her freaking party. Yeah. And if you don't like it, then don't go.
Starting point is 01:50:54 Everybody's a baby now. Everybody gets butt hurt over everything. If you don't like food at someone's dinner, don't go to their dinner. If it bothers you that much, you got to decide right now. Because she's not going to do it. Now let me just, if it's only two people, like the good human party, you should be like, you know what, I'll make sure that there's some couple tomatoes, you know? But can't you do like a little bean taco or something?
Starting point is 01:51:16 Probably. I feel like there's food for them. Right. They're being ridiculous. So anyway, this bride's getting... What do they want? Like, tempe? I don't know what that is. It's like a...
Starting point is 01:51:25 Lunchboxes' favorites. I don't know what tempe is. It's something that vegans are vegetarian. It's a fermented soy. It's like tofu. Well, last night at my birthday dinner, Mike D doesn't eat. Oh, I know I felt so bad. I was like, Mike D, there's some asparagus.
Starting point is 01:51:39 Mike D's lost. How much way you lost Mike D? 120 pounds. Mike D writes the games that we play on the show, and he finds like some of these stories that I talk about. And this story made me think of last night. Well, me too. So we go to this dinner and Mike D's like just eating on a peanut or something, one peanut, like the whole time.
Starting point is 01:51:56 And Amy's like, Mike, do you're going to eat? And you didn't eat like a meal? I ate before because I looked at the menu and I was like, I don't think there's anything I can eat here. So I ate before going into it. I was like giving him. I was like, they brought me a wrong salad that I didn't order and it came with like pears and all kinds of things. So it was like, sweet. So I picked off all the pears before the waiter took it back.
Starting point is 01:52:13 And I'm like, I already promised Mighty those pears. So you went and had no dinner where everybody was eating? Yeah, I mean, I ate a salad. Yeah. Is that awkward to you? Because it wasn't awkward to us. It's not awkward to me. I think when people are like, oh, you can't eat anything.
Starting point is 01:52:26 I'm like, it's fine. Like, I'm okay with it. I know going into it what I eat and what I can eat. Whose side do you hop in on this bride versus the vegan? No, like I went to a wedding last weekend and I didn't eat anything there either. I knew going into it, though. So you side with the bride. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:40 Yeah. Me too. This headline makes her out to be the bee. But it's her party. She can meet if she wants. to. She can meet if she wants to. You would meet too if it happened to you.
Starting point is 01:52:52 So, yeah, it's all that. There's a podcast called the Velvet's Edge podcast that I think a lot of our female listeners would like. And it's a lifestyle podcast hosted by Kelly Henderson and Dirk's Bentley is on with her this week. And she's worked with Dirk's for a long time. And so
Starting point is 01:53:10 she does what? His grooming. Grooming is like hair, makeup. Yeah, he's I think he's the one that prefers to just say grooming. Oh, it is? Instead of hair and makeup. Well, listen, I don't like when they say glam.
Starting point is 01:53:22 They'll be like, for Idol, they'll go, they'll be like, Hey, all right, Bobby, we're going to send you into glam. And I'm like, oh, blah, blah, blah. Are they going to put me in a dress? So check it out. It's called the Velvet's Edge podcast. And Kelly Henderson, this is her with Dirk's Bentley. She worked with Dirk's for years.
Starting point is 01:53:39 Dirk's talking about how he wasn't drinking or eating meat while working on his last album. And Karen Fairchild from Little Big Town called him out. We went to go see YouTube play and I was with this little after party and Little Big Towns there who I love and I wasn't drinking, you know? I was just the most trying last year. I was talking to Karen and I said, oh yeah, I'm actually not doing meat either. And she starts laughing. She goes, you can't be a country singer and not eat meat? Right.
Starting point is 01:54:03 Derek's talked about he worked on a reality show when he was trying to make it in Nashville and made $100 a day. I worked a terrible reality TV show where these like three girls try to get one guys. No, this is not like yours. George is good. It was so bad. It was like this three girls were competing for this one guy, like a limidate or something like that. So like a bad version of The Bachelor. And then one other clip, how Dirk's, his real name is Frederick.
Starting point is 01:54:25 Did you know that, Amy? I didn't. Here you go. Did you always go by Dirk's though? Fred. How would say it's gone by Dirk? See, my mom named us all, like we have like a family name first. Actually, both my names are family names, but like that's my grandfather's name was Frederick.
Starting point is 01:54:38 And then I thought Fred was bad. My brother's name is Newell. What is that? A-E-W-E-L-L. Newell? Grandfather's name too. So check it out. If you love Dirks or she does a lot of fashion stuff too.
Starting point is 01:54:50 Yes. Maybe that's your jam. It's called The Velvet's Edge podcast with Kelly Henderson on IHartRadio. Wherever you listen to your podcasts. Dirk's the guest this week. His name is Fred? Frederick. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:00 That's crazy. Frederick Bentley. Sorry, just call him that for now on. Do you get bad mosquito bites or no? Yes. They love me. Well, according to this recent scientific journal, the way to avoid mosquito bites is to play electronic music.
Starting point is 01:55:14 because sounds affect mosquitoes specifically dubstep specifically specifically scrylix because sound is what they say crucial for reproduction, survival and population maintenance of many animals but this sound is not good for mosquitoes
Starting point is 01:55:33 and they even have one song in particular when they started to dial it down scary monsters and nice sprites that's the name of nice sprites a track by scrylix has been chosen because of the frequency in the song. They say if you'll play, let me hear this. Yeah, I fly away too.
Starting point is 01:55:54 Yeah. This is so cool. No. I don't like it? Like, no. I'd rather have a mosquito bite. Oh, you, wow, wow. It sounds like a bad dial-up connection from back in the day. AOL. Yeah. Anyway, there you go. It's called scary spiders. No, what's it called? Scary monsters and nice sprites. And nice sprites? What's a sprite except a drink?
Starting point is 01:56:17 A drink, right? Lennon Lide. Scary monsters and nice sprites. That's prying. And then how do you name that? Is it? just, is there words? No. Is there other words? Or does he like yell out things in the middle of it? There's like a melody thing.
Starting point is 01:56:29 Oh. I know last night you had a new babysitter for your kids? Yes, and she's from Haiti. Amy's two kids are adopted from Haiti. And so I know you struggle with trying to find home things for them. Yeah. And I mean, so this is a girl we met through a friend of a friend. And she is a junior in college here in Nashville.
Starting point is 01:56:49 And yeah, was born and raised in Haiti. then came to America for college and it's so great. Like she, and she does hair. So now she's like, she was talking to my daughter all about hair and maybe she's someone. I just am excited mostly for my daughter to maybe have a Haitian woman that's, you know, cool and closer to her age that she can really, like a mentor of sorts. How to go? It went really well.
Starting point is 01:57:13 Like I already think maybe I was like, so Ann, she's very new here. Because the problem with babysitters a lot of times is then they could kind of have a life too. she's very new here. So she's like, yeah, she's like, I really don't have a lot of plans. I was like, great, what do you do it on Saturday? So, like, I wish I had known her, like, last week when I really needed a sitter. But now she's in our life and I couldn't be more pumped about it because she can speak creole and make my kids feel comfortable. And I love it.
Starting point is 01:57:39 Do your kids still speak creole to each other? Stasheera can. No, they don't, not a single bit. And Stasheera still can. But if you ask Stevenson to start speaking creole, he kind of looks at you like, ooh, he doesn't really know if he can quite do it. So, I mean, I don't want them to lose that, but no. Like, the first six months they were here, they talked all kinds of stuff behind our back, like, in Creole that we didn't understand. But now it's just English.
Starting point is 01:58:03 There was a story about Taylor Swift. Do you see that? She's always in the news, even if she has nothing to do with it. By the way, these stalkers and her, do you think? Well, it happened. I don't see her. Well, this is not that, but there was another stalker's to worry about her. These guys think they're going to get her love and attention by, like, showing up in her bathtub.
Starting point is 01:58:17 Trust me, I've tried it. Didn't work. It didn't work. Yeah. Taylor Swift got another unwanted visitor at her Rhode Island home when a police pursuit ended with a stolen car smashing into her front gate. Oh my goodness. Police in Rob Kenton, Rhode Island, confirmed a TMZ.
Starting point is 01:58:32 The high-speed chase started around 1 a.m. When an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop and the vehicle took off. Police officers pursued the car. The driver eventually lost control and plowed into the main entrance gate at Taylor's estate. Wow. She was not home. The teenage driver has been charged a lot of stuff, but Taylor's had a lot of issues at this place,
Starting point is 01:58:52 including one guy who was busted trying to swim through rough ocean water to get onto her property, and then another who showed up on her doorstep proposing marriage. Well, I get the second one. But if you know where Taylor Swift lives, you're probably going by and a look, right? Yeah, or at least swimming in the ocean out there trying to get to it. How rough it is.
Starting point is 01:59:09 What's an estate? I would assume, listen, you're asking the wrong guy. I would assume it's just larger than a house or the yard. Okay. Because I was wondering. Like multiple buildings on a property? Probably acres. Okay.
Starting point is 01:59:21 Don't know what actually constitutes an estate. Good question. I'd be like, an estate sale. I'd be like, it's fancy for me. I don't even go, even if it looks normal. Yeah, the bones estate, not an estate. We live in houses. Yeah, yeah. Are you excited about Avengers, the end game or no?
Starting point is 01:59:40 Yeah, I'll watch it. That's a good one. The Avengers is a superhero movie that I really like. So yes. You kids like that one? Yep. I'm pretty excited about it because I only watched the last one a minute ago. Like, it just watched it. So I'm into it, but I'm seeing now that tickets for the
Starting point is 01:59:52 pre-sell are crashing websites. Oh, I'm not that into it. Pre-sale tickets for Avengers Endgame. It just means we can't get into it. I know, but I mean I'm not already online. But I'm saying that means it's going to be booked out. We're not going to be able to go to shows for a long time. I can wait.
Starting point is 02:00:06 The latest film from Disney Marvel Studios opens April 26th. The third. Wow. It went on sale Tuesday morning yesterday and these sites all crashed. Fandango, AMC, so there's that. People are trying to sell Avengers in-game tickets on the first for $9,000. Wow.
Starting point is 02:00:24 Well, here's the story. Pre-sell tickets for Avengers Endgame, as they went on sale yesterday, people are selling them on eBay for ridiculous prices. They've sold some for even $500 and there's someone's sale for $1,000 and even $9,000. You know, it's hard to think anyone would buy for that, but
Starting point is 02:00:40 they are selling, people have bought $500 tickets to go to the movie early. Okay. Yeah. The lowest price in one's offering is like $30, 40, 40 bucks. Which the average U.S. movie price is? Now I feel like is it
Starting point is 02:00:54 $13? $9.11. Okay. Also, unless you just have to go to the first screening and you wear the costume, wait, you can get a few days.
Starting point is 02:01:04 The costume. Yeah. If I was really into it, I would dress up, I'm not super into this. And then one final story, Avengers Endgame, which comes out next month,
Starting point is 02:01:13 you know, when they gave the scripts to all of the characters, they would not give it to Spider-Man, Tom Holland, because they didn't trust him. Oh, that's funny. He got his line.
Starting point is 02:01:22 and that's it. He didn't even know who he was acting opposite of when they gave it to him. He said, quote, we'll just use, like, very vague terms to describe to him what's happening because he has a very difficult time to keep his mouth shut
Starting point is 02:01:33 because they thought he'd spoil, like, and say things. That's funny. That is funny. Anyway, it hits theaters. But you would think they would all be, like, even if he's contractually bound, he still has, he's going to say something. That's cool.
Starting point is 02:01:47 A contract is just paper. I know. So it can't physically keep you. And if he slips, And people know what's up. That's millions of dollars and, you know, information. Yeah. Is that same apply with, like, client privilege?
Starting point is 02:02:02 What is that saying? Well, you would get in real trouble for that. Like, if you're a therapist and you're... I know. I just feel like there's all kinds of things, yeah, like, that you say. I know, but, I mean, a lot of stuff is just someone's word. Like, oh, no, legally, I can't say anything. But I feel like sometimes they go home to dinner with their family and they're like,
Starting point is 02:02:18 you're never going to believe who came in today. They are human. and you have to remember that. Like when I talked about therapists? Like, and you went to that whole adult camp for like a week? I mean, I know it's super on like down there. I call it therapy camp. It's just getting weirder and weird.
Starting point is 02:02:29 Adult adult therapy camp. It was like, you went to naked camp? And I'm like, no. But then, I mean, you're, yeah, you have to trust that like, because a lot, I think a lot of you came out there, like, was poured out. And you're sharing all this stuff. And, like, you have to trust that those people are going to keep it private. Also, you just have to trust that it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 02:02:50 You share everything. And for me, I go, I'm trusting. Not good of trusting? Boy, you know, if my therapist wants to go tell somebody there's nothing I can do about it, I got to live my life the same way. The Bobby Boneshow. This guy gets the rare experience of flying alone, like in a private plane, but on a commercial plane. Okay. He was going, and he was the only one that got a ticket.
Starting point is 02:03:14 And so he gets on this whole, he's the only one flying. That's got to be amazing. So they still make the trip? Yeah. Wow. He boarded the flight to Italy. No one else boarded the plane. It can hold up to 188 passengers.
Starting point is 02:03:24 It was empty. A photo that he took, showed him alone on the plane. Oh, that's hilarious. Two pilots, five crew members, and they flew over. He's going to get that plane back. Yeah, and that was part of it too.
Starting point is 02:03:36 You got to get the plane back. Right. Otherwise, just shut it down. So he said he enjoyed his hours-long flight. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. That's like Elvis. Dang, private jet to Italy. Well, I think he was another country over there.
Starting point is 02:03:50 Was it in America? Yeah. Okay, I didn't think so. Yeah, it was in like Europe. So it was like a two-hour flight. That'd be a phone. I'd cancel that one. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:03:59 All right, around the room, Mamie, what's up today? Well, got a friend in town, so just lots of fun stuff with her and the kids. And then the Colligan man is coming to my house. Is that water? Yeah, Colligan water. So I'm going to be doing endorsements with them, and so they're coming over to look at my house to put in a filtration system, and I couldn't be more pumped. Because I want, it's what I wanted it. It's like they knew I wanted it.
Starting point is 02:04:22 I don't know. The next thing I know, I mean, I'm literally about to get it myself. I'm doing research. And then I get a call from sales, like saying, hey, Culligan Water's interested. And I was like, send them over. You're so excited. I'm so excited. It's going to help my skin stay young.
Starting point is 02:04:39 Well, we, the raging idiots, have our first band rehearsal with the new band. Most of the same. We got a couple new players, including the girl who was on American Idol, who, when she didn't make it, I was like, wow, she's so good. We should take her. And so she's going to come. We're going to rehearse today. For the first time, we got a few hours in tonight.
Starting point is 02:04:55 I'm excited to meet her. Yeah, and then we played Bakersfield next weekend with Kipmore. And then we're playing Iowa Country Fest. And we're going to be announced in some theater shows. So it's a whole thing. Put down on the record. Live record, live record, live comedy record. More so than like in your face rock that we used to do.
Starting point is 02:05:12 Yeah, yeah. We were mostly in your face rockers. Yeah. And we're toning it down a little bit. We're doing comedy now. Straight comedy. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, so that's happening today.
Starting point is 02:05:20 I'm going to the allergist today, too. Oh, okay, good. Finally. I can't wait to hear an update. Yeah, they just poke you the whole time, huh? Yes. Scratch you for the most part. When do you get the results? I don't know. I don't know anything about it. Gosh, they're going to tell you you're allergic to everything in town.
Starting point is 02:05:35 Ooh, it's going to be crazy. Basically, just don't breathe. They're going to tell you. Lunchbox is up today. Oh, I go back to the doctor to get my heel looked at, my bone spur. Hopefully I get the green light to resume physical activity. Well, I mean, athletic activity. Well, let me also hit you with a little bit of this. here.
Starting point is 02:05:54 We're all getting hit with it. I know. He's going to the doctor for his he all like, I'm super excited about a water filtration system. Let me get my hours of your show. All right. I'll see you tomorrow. Thank you. Check out the show Instagram at Bobby Bone Show.
