Hang around Brothers Osborne will be up in just a bit. So we talked about Amy's high school reunion, which yours is your 20-year?
Starting point is 00:03:09 Yeah. And you're going. I'm going. Mike D's 10-year is supposed to happen. So Mike D., what's happening there? Yeah, it's supposed to be next weekend, but it got canceled because no one could afford to pay for tickets. So Waxahatchie High School?
Starting point is 00:03:25 Yeah. What do you mean nobody can afford to pay for tickets? Well, they were like setting up, you know, the event, and they were like, it's $50 to get in. So it's just to pay for everything. Mine was $52, yeah. And so I was on the- That seems pretty steep. That's a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Yeah, no, I agree. And there was some, they were, our class was encouraging if you can pay extra, maybe pay extra so that others could come. Yeah, they tried to do that, but nobody could do it. And then there was like, I don't want to go, so they canceled it. So then what's happening? I think they're all just going to meet at, like, a bar in town. Were you going to take your girlfriend with you? No, I probably just get to go alone
Starting point is 00:04:00 I mean that's a strong flex though First of all you've lost like 100 pounds Yeah Your girlfriend's cute Yeah You got a cool job now You have a style about you Man
Starting point is 00:04:10 Maybe that's why he wants to go alone No He's in love with his girlfriend Right? Yeah Yeah Right You don't take a girlfriend to a reunion
Starting point is 00:04:20 Yeah Yeah Why not? Yeah If you're in a close relationship You take him anywhere Take them to a reunion, take them to Christmas. If you'll take somebody to Christmas, you can take them to a reunion.
Starting point is 00:04:30 True. Because Christmas is, would you take your girlfriend to Christmas? Yeah. Okay, Christmas is the big one. If you'll take your family member to Christmas, that's all in. Would you not agree, Amy? No, I agree. What's the biggest thing you can take your family member to?
Starting point is 00:04:44 Yeah, Thanksgiving, Christmas. I think that's the biggest one. Anything else is kind of below that in a tier. Oh, what about a family wedding? No problem. If you're going to Christmas, I think everything you should be taken in. to everything. So why isn't Mike do you taking his girlfriend? I don't know. That's where we are. I just thought it's like a thing you go to alone to meet up with people and I don't know you take
Starting point is 00:05:02 something like that. I mean I've never had a girlfriend before. I don't know you take him to something like that. For you, if it's a new girlfriend I probably wouldn't, I would take a girlfriend. You plan on, who cares? It's not like, you're just seeing old people. But do you think if you take your girlfriend as kind of an, like you've committed too much? No, I just didn't think about taking her. Okay. Well, what does she think about that? If I was her, I'd be like, you're not taking me? I would be surprised, too, if I were in a serious relationship and I wasn't taken. Well, it was just going to be like a trip home, so I would go.
Starting point is 00:05:31 So is it more about the trip home than it is that? Yeah, I would just go home. She'd be in Austin, so I'd just go to Dallas, drive down and walks at you. See, here's what pops in my mind is that what if there's like an old flame that you haven't seen? But I mean, he never had a flame. What was it? Okay, someone. This is his first girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:05:48 And that was my point with the strong flex. He looks good. He's got a style. He's got a cute girlfriend. If there is an old flame, especially. you go rock the new cute girlfriend. Oh. Mike, I went to my 10-year reunion and no one brought girlfriends. If they were spouses,
Starting point is 00:06:00 yes, there was no girlfriends or boyfriends there. It was all marriages. So it's awkward if you bring the girlfriend. I don't agree. I think you take them wherever you want. If you're with them, you're with them. Amy? I mean, I think you could take. If I know how, I think you and your girlfriend are serious. So knowing how she probably feels about you
Starting point is 00:06:19 and where y'all are in your relationship, I would be kind of surprised if you didn't invite me. And why not making another chance to learn more about you and how you grew up in the school you went to and your friends from back down? I think that's a real learning spot for if you're together. That's a good point, yeah. I mean, give her the opportunity to go if she wants to go. If she's like, know what, this is your weekend, like these are your friends, like go, just enjoy whatever. But like, if you would maybe want you want her there, right?
Starting point is 00:06:45 Or is that weird to you? Or is it not about the reunion? It's more about going to your family house. It's more about it was just going to be a trip home. and then around that reunion. So it wasn't so much you didn't take her to the reunion. It was more like you're just going to go home for a bit without her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:58 Has she been to your home? Yeah, she has. Okay. Oh. Okay. Yeah. Easy, easy, let me squeasy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:05 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so anyway, you're not having it. Now what's happening? I'm not going to go. So you're not going to the bar meeting? Not at all. All right. Well, I'm sorry to hear that, bud.
Starting point is 00:07:13 It's all right. Okay. Hey, do I have the ability to hear your clips that you play from your computer over there? I'm not sure. I think you heard them one time I played them. No, Raymundo? Let's test it out. Mike D has a computer over there.
Starting point is 00:07:24 See if you can hear a clip. Tell me when you're going to hit it. 3, 2, 1, hit it something. No. No way for that to be heard? No. Okay. Where I can hear Raymundo's,
Starting point is 00:07:33 3, 2, 1, hit something, Raymundo. There you go. I don't know, can you see Raymundo in there, Eddie? Yes. Raymundo's the one pushing those buttons. It's a weird face right now. All during the show. All right.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Anything else? I was going to get, I didn't have a lot today. We did a bunch of it on the show today. Did you finish watching Succession? Yes. The whole first season? Done with season one. We've started season two.
Starting point is 00:07:58 We got the HBO free trial for seven days, so we need to finish it within seven days. Because you can't get it anywhere else. We were watching on Amazon and we bought it. Well, then on Amazon you can't buy season two yet for some reason. Like HBO hasn't released it before. Whatever. So then we realized, okay, if we get HBO, we don't have HBO. So if we got HBO go for like a free seven-day trial,
Starting point is 00:08:21 So we signed up for that. So we got to finish it within seven days and cancel the trial. And you don't feel dishonest about that. Why, they offered it to me for free seven days. There's nothing dishonest. That's not. I'm trying it out for seven days to watch Succession Season 2. Amy, if you don't finish it, you can just sign up with a different email.
Starting point is 00:08:38 Well, that would be. That's how you do it. No, no, it wouldn't be any difference. Do you think it's dishonest? No, no, I'm just asking you how you feel, because usually you would do a trial to see if you like it. Maybe I will. You go into a trial going. Maybe I'll be like, oh, ballers?
Starting point is 00:08:50 I can watch Ballers whenever I want. Oh, billions? Or no, that's Showtime. Whatever other shows, HBO has. Are you just saying this now or does it? Huh? Are you going to check out other shows on HBO? No, I did see, though, that the Rock Ballers is on there.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Like, I could watch it. So I saw that as an option. I was like, that's a good show. So I thought, maybe I could get into that. Maybe I check out something else. No, I don't feel like it's dishonest. Honestly, here's what's probably going to happen. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:09:15 The seven days is going to go by, and I'm going to forget. And we're going to be two months in. I'm going to be paying for it. I know. And then I'm just going to keep it. I do that too. What's going to happen? I just paid for a new Dropbox account because I have so many files coming.
Starting point is 00:09:25 And I was like, well, let me see if I'll actually use it. So I will sign up for a 30-day trial and see if I'll use the 30-day trial as much as I think I would. And so I'm using it a bit. And I just forget. Now I'm getting charged $9.99 a month. And I keep going, I cancel it now. But then I get a new file and I'm like, let me just do it another month. I just keep forgetting.
Starting point is 00:09:44 What do you do? Yeah. I mean, that's the point of the free trial, right? That's what they want. They rope you in. Yeah, yeah. They hope you forget. Sure.
Starting point is 00:09:51 All right, cool. Well, we'll go ahead and get to today's show. Amy, anything you'd like to say? Hope everybody has a great weekend. It's already the weekend. Here we are. Time's flying by. Yeah, and if you're bored this weekend,
Starting point is 00:10:03 you can check out my new episode, Four Things with Amy Brown. There you go. Search it wherever you listen to podcasts. Do you know the song, Time keeps on slipping. And I was just in my head. Into the future.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Why? Just wondered if you knew that. Time flies on a baby. Time keeps on. Like an eagle. Different song. To the sea. No, it's not.
Starting point is 00:10:23 I want to, no, it's not. I'm challenging you on this one. I don't care. I have the CD. I'm not regained. That means you think you're wrong. I love it. I don't fight for things I don't think I'm right on.
Starting point is 00:10:33 I know. I know, so you agree. I don't really don't know the answer. I don't even know who sings time keeps on slipping except Sugar Ray ended up doing a version later. Yeah. Oh, then that's what it is then. I'm a joker.
Starting point is 00:10:42 Because you definitely had that record. I'm a mid-night choker. I don't fight for things I'm not sure about. I know. That's why I like it because you're just like, or if you knew, you would argue until your death. I love that. No, even sometimes I go, I don't know, check it.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Fact check it. And then we do. Yeah. But no, you're right. Mike didn't, you just pulled it up. Yes. I'm a lover. Not the same song.
Starting point is 00:10:58 That's the different song. And not the right lyrics. I'm a lover and I'm a giver. No. I play my music in the sun. Didn't Sugar Ray do a version of this? Oh, gosh. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Of the Joker? No, no, not the Joker. Sugar Ray ended up doing a song to. No, that's I don't want to fly. No, maybe so. I just want to flap. Yeah, but da, but da, but da, what you want? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:22 Right. Yeah, they, no, that's sugar black. But what song, what lyric were you saying I was wrong on? No, nothing. You're not wrong. You said, that lyrics right, that lyrics right. To the sea. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:33 You said, I'm a carer or I'm a giver. It's not a giver. I'm a sinner. Sinner. I'm a lover. Hey, poor, Sugar Ray's, um, Sugar Ray. There's a song that Sugar Ray did poorly as a cover. A cover song?
Starting point is 00:11:45 Yeah, it's like, it's like, that same time period song and Sugar Ray by the way when they put out their first record that had fly on it it's huge it was a hard rock record there's only like one song on it that wasn't hard rock it was like then they had a big pop hit and they were like
Starting point is 00:11:59 screw it we're a pop band now I remember a bunch of my friends in high school they went to go see them with like 311 it was their tour whatever and they opened no doubt 311 Sugar Ray and they were like this Sugar Ray band is amazing boardwalk shots is she Is she really going now
Starting point is 00:12:15 I even like like that. That's a cover, but I don't think that's the one I'm thinking about. Is she really going to... Yeah, that's a cover. Do you remember that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:23 Is she really going out with him? Is she really going to take me home tonight? Um... I don't know this. I don't know. I guess I'm just... I really like that every morning.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Every morning there's a halo hanging. I loved Sugar Ray, actually. Type in Sugar Ray covers. Somebody says, Is it seal? No. Oh, Oh,
Starting point is 00:12:47 Oh, that's, that's, that song, yeah. Okay. Sealed did a version of that. Anyway, oh,
Starting point is 00:12:54 people are watching this, right? Yes, yes, so they're commenting. From the rose of the dead. That's not how it goes either. Seal got a kiss from the rose of the dead.
Starting point is 00:13:02 No. But I didn't say the dead, I don't think. Whatever. Anything, Mike D. Are we just going to give this up? Fly.
Starting point is 00:13:10 Like an eagle. Okay. Well, that's all I got, folks. Good one. I'm tired. I've had enough. We're going to be in Fresno tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Yes. I'm just obsessed with finding out what song this was. And this is how you get, and you're going to go until you find it out. I am. Come on. Oh, it's Abercadabra. Abra, Abra, Aberadabra, I'm going to reach out and grab you. That's an old song, too.
Starting point is 00:13:37 That's what it is. I know that one. It's Steve Miller Band, and that's where I got confused on it. I believe that's a Steve Miller band song. Full Circle. You did it. I just, I know what? wasn't on exactly, but I was kind of there.
Starting point is 00:13:49 And how does that make you feel when it comes together? And you're like, oh, fulfilled. And not so much that I was right or wrong, but that I finally figured it out because it just sits with me and I'm like, oh my God, I can't figure it out. It bothers me so much. Yeah. Abra, abracadabra, I'm going to reach out and grab you. You know that one? Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Ray Moni, can you play that? We don't have it. Even our classic rock. You don't have Steve Miller band Abricadabra? Oh, let me see that. I thought you're all Sugar Ray. You just search Abercadabra. to it pops up. I want to reach out and grab you.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Yeah, there you go. Okay, we're done. There's the new Bobbycast with Teneal Arts. You should check that out if you'd like. She actually brought her guitar to the house, which I thought she was coming from a show. And... Is it?
Starting point is 00:14:33 She had her guitar. Yeah, this is Steve Miller band version of. You know this song here? Yes. Listen to those keys. I think I had like a Steve Miller box set or something. You have a T-Shed up for sure. I can't pull down.
Starting point is 00:14:47 No? The one band you know You don't have a shirt for And every band that you don't know You have shirts for? Yes. Turn it up. Where it stops
Starting point is 00:14:56 Nobody knows. Every time you go by name I heat up like a burning flame burning flame All right here comes the hook, everybody. Sing it if you know it. Three, two. Abra, Abra, Cadabra.
Starting point is 00:15:17 I'll reach out and grab you from Cadabra. Again, Abercadabra. Sorry. All right, thank you, right, much. That is kind of a jam, though, huh? It is. Yeah, sugar-raised version was only okay. See, we got on the dumbest stuff.
Starting point is 00:15:37 We just spent five minutes on maybe the dumbest thing that could be talked about. All right. Thank you. Goodbye. Starting point is 00:19:59 Translid. What's happening? Morning studio. Morning. Got a good show today. I feel good. I like Fridays because obviously it's the weekend. But most times, we have a really good guests come by. And Brothers Osborne will come by today.
Starting point is 00:20:19 Do you have any brothers Osborne, Raymonda? We can ask T.J., who's the lead singer, Brothers Osborne, about the hat that he bought your son for your son's birthday. Yeah. Amy and T.J. live basically next door to each other. And you think there's a chance that he just had the hat. And your son was like, I like that. And he gave it to him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Because he felt pressured to. Like, it just wasn't like really meant for him. But T.J. is so nice that he just let him have it. Yeah. So they have a live record out today. But you may know this song here. Turn it up a little bit. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Brothers Osborn. me out. All right, let's see what's up with everybody. Let's do, what's the haps? Hey, what's the haps? Amy, what's the haps? Well, so I was walking with Stevenson, and I just want to know what's the haps with my neighbor walking out into their backyard naked, especially when their fence. Is that right? Where do you walk and tell me the route in what time you were doing that? So we're on a walk and there's a path, like, they have a fence, but like there's a certain part of the hill where you can see right into their backyard. And then she probably thought she was safe and all clear. And I don't know what she was doing, but she came out to her back patio. No top on.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Bottom is no top. And Stevenson's right there with me. And I'm like, oh, I got to think fast. So I'm like, whoa, buddy, look that way. So he looks. And then I get him distracted. I'm like, oh, my gosh. And I just start running in that direction.
Starting point is 00:21:43 I'm like, come, hurry, hurry. You're going to miss it. I do that with my dog. Right. Let's go follow me. Chase me. Well, just so you know it works with a nine-year-old. And he followed me.
Starting point is 00:21:52 Luckily, I've waited him seeing. our naked neighbor because he would have been like, what? Why is she not having to clothes on mom? I don't know when if he's what, if he's ever seen that, but I was like, whoa, we're going to avoid that for a little bit. So you're asking what the rule is? What do you mean? I mean, I think I did the right thing.
Starting point is 00:22:12 No, no. I mean, somebody walking in their backyard with no top on. Yeah. I mean, I know it's their backyard, but when you have a backyard that's visible to other people walking, then maybe not. Some people would say women should be able to be topless all the time if men are. Okay. Maybe that was what she was doing.
Starting point is 00:22:30 I don't think so. I think she was grabbing something, but she didn't have time to put a top on. I walk in my underwear sometimes in my front yard walking the dog early in the morning. Is that okay? Because I'm just in my underwear. Now, by the way, they're like long. Boxers? You got a long boxer.
Starting point is 00:22:42 Wait. You have nothing else but just boxers? Yeah, but it's like dark in the morning. Okay, then it's fine. So that's fine? Yeah. As long as it's very apparent you're walking your dog. See what the police says about that.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Because now it's like dark. And he's outside in his underwear. Yeah. But I do have a dog on a leash. Right. Then you're good. Okay. What do we, what's our conclusion here with your part of this?
Starting point is 00:23:03 I guess just telling the story? Just pay, yeah, just pay attention. Like, I'm just curious what she was thinking. And then I'm like, it makes me want to be aware of what I know my neighbors can totally see into my backyard. So be aware. Just be aware. All right.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Hey. Hey. What's the hat? What's the happens with you? Well, I was reading this story about Uber Pet because I had an issue in Oklahoma City where I was trying to get my dog from the hotel to the airport. And the Uber driver drives up because I'm not taking the dog. Understood. But I was like, oh, well, that's unfortunate.
Starting point is 00:23:35 And so Uber Pet is coming out. And so what's happening is riders will be charged a small fee if their driver accepts the fare. But I would like the option to go, hey, I have a dog. Right. And he's a smallish dog. He's a little bulldog. Can I? Is that cool?
Starting point is 00:23:51 and they can say yes or no about five bucks for Uber Pet Anyway saw that I thought it was a good idea Just because it was an issue for me We were trying to get from a show And they were like sorry can't do your dog So
Starting point is 00:24:01 Uber Pet lets passengers notify drivers They're traveling with their furry friend And we'll charge them up to a $5 fee I'm okay with that Drivers will take a cut of the surcharge as well I think so dogs are messy and hairy And I get it okay Saw that story
Starting point is 00:24:16 That's What's the Haps with me I was thinking about that Hey What's the Hats Lunchbox What's The Haps Oh, the other day, I told you guys, we were going out for revenge in the co-ed soccer playoffs. We were playing the team that eliminated us last year, first round of the playoffs, and we lost. Oh, how did you play?
Starting point is 00:24:32 I played well, a little bit out of shape because I was out for like a month with a foot injury. A little bit out of shape, but I played well, and we lost on an own goal where our guy kicked it in our own goal. Was it you? No. If Pablo Escobar had your team, that would be trouble. No, it was Sean. So, he's okay. We're not that mad at him.
Starting point is 00:24:49 There's next season, but yeah, he kicked it in the wrong. goal. Sorry to hear. Everybody that had you on their fantasy, rec soccer team's probably struggling. Yeah, season's over. Hey, what's the hats? Producer Eddie, what's the haps? I did something yesterday that I hadn't really done
Starting point is 00:25:04 in a long time and I went out to dinner with a friend on a weeknight. It's kind of crazy. It's cool, but I pulled a Bobby totally and went early. Six p.m. I was home by 8.30. Like, that's how you do it. To be fair, because I agree. Good for you. Yeah. Pulling to Bobby's a 5 o'clock dinner.
Starting point is 00:25:18 Yeah, no, no. I'm not going to go to that early. You arrive at 445. We get when the door's opening. Bones, that's crazy. I know. But that's how I have to live my life. Well, this is as Bobby-ish as I can get. But we had fun.
Starting point is 00:25:30 I haven't seen this guy since like, I don't know, seven or eight years. So it was fun to catch up. Is that right? Yeah. From high school? He was an old intern that used to work with us back where we used to work. Oh, cool. Yeah, he was in town, called me up.
Starting point is 00:25:39 I said, sure, let's do it. Hey. What's the hat? Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Big plan for the weekend. The big plan be while I've got a friend and town, which is awesome, but then seeing Thomas Wrett on Saturday night. Yeah. What about you? We're going to go watch The Joker tonight. Yes? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're not backing out.
Starting point is 00:26:00 I'm not backing out. No kids? No, they're out of town. Fall break. Why didn't you go? Because I got to work. Got to go to Fresno tomorrow. Oh, so you got to work. We're playing a show. Well, that's what we call it in my house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so your wife and kids left? Yeah, they went to North Carolina. They loaded up in a car this morning and they're on their way. So we're going to go watch the Joker tonight. We're playing in Fresno tomorrow. Tomorrow. Yeah, I hope people come out at the fair. Morgan number two, you're not going with us to The Joker. No, I'm going to October Fest.
Starting point is 00:26:29 We tried to tell her. She's like, I got to go drink. It's not the drinking. It's my favorite time of year. Do you know there's a theory about you and the text messages that your throat is always messed up because you drink and throw up so much? Oh. They don't correlate. Are you sure? Yeah, I'm positive. All right. She's newly 26. We thought maybe she'd just turn it down a little bit.
Starting point is 00:26:51 but probably not. You're going to go as hard as ever. I'm all about the experiences. October Fest is awesome. What about October Fest do you love? They have great food and it's just like great people. All these people come out and you're just in a community. It's just a different experience.
Starting point is 00:27:06 It happens one time of year. How many times have you been to the movies and a group with us in your life? Good question. None. I can go next weekend. I can go the weekend after that. But she already said she doesn't want to see the Joker in the theater. We'll protect you.
Starting point is 00:27:18 Okay. Okay. And then check out. Amy's show this weekend, the women of IHeart Country. So you'll be hosting that. Anything on that show? I was checking out the playlist and one of the first songs is Lindsay Ellen Brantley Gilbert.
Starting point is 00:27:32 Oh. What happens in a small town stays in a small town. Yeah. Yeah, but I talk about Lindsay a little bit because she has new music coming out and like next year and that a lot, it's a compilation of her story of what's unfolded the last few years in her life. Is that what she says? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:51 And you think what? Because she says... Like right when I was reading it, I was like, oh no. Are these songs about Bobby? Because you were a part of her life a couple years ago. Uh-huh. Yeah. And I mean, she writes about like when y'all were together her last album,
Starting point is 00:28:06 some of the songs were about you in that, like, loving way. And then y'all broke up. So this chapter might be songs like... I can tell you that... I don't know. Do you want to... I can't say it out loud, but do you want to see the title of her new song? Yeah?
Starting point is 00:28:21 Because you're going to do the face where you go, E. So as executive producer. You can't play. Don't say it out loud because I know, because she sent me her new song. By the way, for those that are new the show, Lindsay Allen and I, we were dated for a long time. She's great. We're still great friends.
Starting point is 00:28:36 Oh, yeah. She's awesome. But I just was like, okay, yeah, women of I heart country. We'll play Lindsay's new music. Do not say the name of this song out loud and tell me how you would react if you were me and you saw that. Because I've heard the song and it's great. But that's my point. Do you see you being the executive producer?
Starting point is 00:28:51 Will the song play? Like, it's going to be awkward. That's a good point. I may not play. No. I don't let that affect me. This is the name of the song. Are you ready?
Starting point is 00:28:58 Here you go. Oh, gosh. Does it say his name in it, Amy? Wait, but I don't know if that's like, okay. But if you saw the name of that song, what would you think? Well, I have two thoughts. Okay. I have two.
Starting point is 00:29:13 Well, and then the image, too. Wow. Is it an image? Yeah. The artwork that goes along with the song is very sad. Very. Let me just say, that's a name and song. It doesn't make me feel good, okay?
Starting point is 00:29:24 Huh, go ahead. So, but, okay, hmm, I don't know if, because as an artist, you're having, you have all your feelings that you're putting out there. Maybe what you're feeling and what you're receiving. Go ahead. So I don't know if that title is like what she was receiving from you, which is sad. Or if what she now feels to you. I will not speak on her art. Also sad.
Starting point is 00:29:47 It's her art. Or it could have double meeting. Yeah. Can I guess the title? Yeah. I want to break your glasses. Right? No.
Starting point is 00:29:55 That's how you would know specifically about me. Okay, no. You guys with the first letter B in their name were stupid. Yeah. Not close? No, no.
Starting point is 00:30:02 People on the radio named Bobby, I hate you. Okay. Close. Close. Anyway, that's an interesting thought. I would never program against somebody for a personal reason.
Starting point is 00:30:12 People did that to her for a long time when she was dating me. That's a bummer. But I would never do that. Yeah. But yeah, Amy's show, women are wire? country airs this weekend.
Starting point is 00:30:23 I executive produce it, Amy hosts it, and our goal on that show is to play more females on the radio. Anybody can just talk about it in an article or do a podcast about it, but we actually dedicate an hour of national radio time to just play more female artists, to move them up the chart a little bit, to, you know, play them so people remember some of these old classic artists and songs, and then also to even play some new stuff that you maybe have never heard before. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:47 And if you miss it on the radio, what some people are learning now, too, is there's a channel on IHeart Radio dedicated to it. So you just search women of IHeart country on the app. And boom, you can listen to it. There you go. Bobby Bone Show. Big three stories. All right, it's Friday, and Ramundo's got the news.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Ramundo, what you got over there? In Colorado, some place is over six inches of snow. The temps dropped 40 degrees. In California, power is slowly being restored. They're asking people to be patient. They cut the power to help prevent forest fires. And finally, in sports and Major League Baseball playoffs, four teams remain.
Starting point is 00:31:20 The Yankees Astros are national. National's and Cardinals. Bobby Bones show. So they say a surprise reason that we're all getting fat is our smartphones and the blue light exposure from them are causing our brains to crave sugar. What? So we've talked about this blue light stuff because we have a friend named Adam Bobo who you'll find on Amy's podcast sometimes. A friend of mine. We do a lot of health stuff together.
Starting point is 00:31:46 What does he say about the blue light? Oh, he says that you need to block it, especially when you're trying to get ready for. for sleep. Now, I haven't heard him say anything about sugar cravings, like, so that would be during the day. But if you're trying to wind down at the end of the night, you need to wear blue light blocking glasses because it will affect your sleep. And then not enough sleep also makes you gain weight. Again, to wear blue light blocking glasses seems a bit fancy. Am I going to lie to you? I do have a pair that were given to me as a gift and prescription too. Right. Well, they sell them. I know it does seem because we just don't know a lot about them, but there's cheaper ones on
Starting point is 00:32:17 Amazon. You can order them and they're not, I know it seems expensive, but not. Your smartphone can be making you fat, researchers found that one hour of blue light exposure from a cell phone at night caused animals' brains to crave sugar. They wanted sugar when they were exposed to this light. Researchers are telling people, don't take your smartphone, tablet, or computer to bed. When you turn off the lights, you should start actually getting ready for bed. By keeping yourself, looking at your phone, it's horrible for your weight and your body's ability to fall asleep in a timely matter. By the way, nothing we haven't been told before about the phone or computer or tablet. But first time I had heard, though, that that blue, whatever that blue light is.
Starting point is 00:32:52 The sugar. By the way, the light's not blue. My phone's like white. Yeah. Normal. Yeah. So when they say blue light, I'm like, man, blue, I get the blue. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:33:00 My phone doesn't have that. But just another reason that if you can to not use that stuff. I do, though. I'm not going to be a hypocrite to be like, that's right. Yeah. It's, and you can, like, set your phone to, like, dim the blue light at a certain time. Right? Is that why my phone does that weird dimming now on it?
Starting point is 00:33:18 Oh. You have to control it. My iPhone, because I have a new iPhone, it automatically sucks out some of that blue light after like 9 p.m. I just thought it was in battery save mode. First I might notice it did that. Here are the five mistakes that you could be making
Starting point is 00:33:34 that if somebody's thinking about robin your house, they see and go, oh, that's the house I want. Okay, yeah. I'm going to take notes. Let's do a drum roll here. This is big five. Number five. Having a ladder outside. where they can literally use it
Starting point is 00:33:51 and access an upper part of your house. It's not good. Valid. Most burglars won't carry one because they're large. And so they look for ladders. They can just take and lean onto something and climb up into it or something.
Starting point is 00:34:06 So they'll most likely target your home, especially if you have an upstairs window. Number four, buying something expensive and leaving the empty box outside. What do you think about that? I mean, Yeah, I guess.
Starting point is 00:34:20 I see on my back patio sometimes, if I haven't broken down the box yet, yeah, I'll just throw it on the patio and then break it down and take it to recycling. So, yeah. When you get a new flat screen TV, don't let the box sit outside by your trash all week and definitely don't leave it when you're out of town. Didn't think about that. So don't do that. That's number four. Okay. Number three on the list of things not to do.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Leaving your blinds open so they can see your stuff from the street, especially if inside that view from the street, there are big ticket items like a big TV or, or, you know, electronics. You know, at, I don't think this is one of them, but Christmas time, that's a big deal. Like your Christmas tree and all the presents right by the window? Yeah. They go, and this is not on the list, but that's a thing where people see that and go, I can go, Rob, no presents. Go give me some presents. They talk like that too, and they say, yeah. Presidents. Number two on things that you do wrong. Leaving a key under the mat. Now, I don't do that. If they decide you're not home, the first place they'll check is under the mat, because even if it's 20% of people, that's one out of five houses that have a key under the mat.
Starting point is 00:35:20 That's the place they put them. And even the rock right beside. Oh, I just think of the rock. Again, because so many people do that too. It's not their first time. And the number one thing you do that encourages burglars to break in. Leaving the lights on when you're not home. I think you're supposed to do that.
Starting point is 00:35:38 So it's fine if it's just one night or they're on a timer, but leaving them on multiple days in a row can make it obvious at no one's home. So it's just something. Yeah. Just the lights always being on at night. And they go, oh, well, nothing has changed. So something or someone must not be there. Wow.
Starting point is 00:35:58 Those are the five tips. And so next time you leave town, next time, you know, you're alone. Go through that checklist. Those are things to think about. It's five mistakes that it can encourage burglars to break into your house. There you go. Thank you very much. Everybody feel better, though?
Starting point is 00:36:12 Yeah, thanks. That was helpful. We're just laying down the more you know is all day long. Yeah. There you go. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 00:40:31 Tell me something good. So shout out to the new vending machine at Leonardo Elementary School in New Jersey, because it's not filled with candy or soda. It's filled with books. And the vending machine's name is Inchie. and, you know, like bookworm, get it? Inchie. Inchie.
Starting point is 00:40:51 Like, go over to Inchie and get yourself a little book. It can hold 200 to 300 books and kids are rewarded with gold coins and they get to use it to get the books out from Inchie. I love, first of all, I love books. By the way, I should take a picture of beside my bed because I have about 11 books stacked up. I'm getting into this terrible habit of reading and being fascinated with another book and grabbing it and then not finishing it because I'm reading probably literally. seven books at the same time right now. Oh, wow. But none of them are finished.
Starting point is 00:41:21 And then they all get mixed up in my head. I know. I was just thinking, how do you keep it all straight? I'm pretty good at it, but I'll take a picture of my bedside table. And the name of the book story is, or the name of the book machine is? Inchee. Spell that? I-N-C-H-Y.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Also my nickname of college. Thank you. Too easy. I know, and I was sitting on it for a long time. I just wanted to tell my book story first because I love books. Kids, if you're listening, there is nothing better than learning from books. I'm telling you. You speak better.
Starting point is 00:41:50 You think better. Books are so good. And I don't even like reading on machines. I like reading the actual book. Mostly because I know how thick it is and I know how long it takes me to finish it. Those books on the stupid iPad? It's a mystery when I'm done. Which, by the way, is never because I have too many books going at the same time.
Starting point is 00:42:10 All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bones Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes with us from Paducah, Kentucky. A 26-year-old man walked into a hotel lobby, pulled out a gun, and said,
Starting point is 00:42:24 give me all the money. Clerk behind the desk said, yeah, yeah, yeah, opens the register, puts the money on the counter. So the guy sets his gun down to grab the money. Oh, are you kidding me? So the clerk grabs the gun and says, now what, sucker? Whoa. Did he really say that or are you just adding that? Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:42:41 But the guy ran out of the... That's crazy. He laid the gun down. Yeah, because he had to put the money in the bag. Roll one. of robbing, hold on to the gun. Right. Rule two of robbing.
Starting point is 00:42:51 We're a mask. Sometimes we look at these bank robbery videos. People walk in just fresh-faced. Like, here it is, here's my face. Like, look at me. Rule three. We're laying all the rules out for rock. Yeah, I can't believe.
Starting point is 00:43:03 All right, lunchbox, there you go. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. The Bobby Bone Show. I'll read you the lyrics to a song, fill in the blank with the celebrity name that gets dropped. Name drop? Name drop. You familiar?
Starting point is 00:43:16 Yeah. So, example, this would be quick. The competition's getting younger. Tougher Bronx, you know I can't recall. A worn-out tape of blank. Chris La-Doo. That would be the answer. There you go.
Starting point is 00:43:28 And here, play the clip of that one, please. The competition's getting younger. I can try to sing it if you want. Yep. You know I can't recall. Chris La-Doo. That would help a lot to be saying, right? Write your answer down.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Here we go. I always thought he said baboo. Mm-mm. Bad booms. Mm-mm. Oh, here we go. Right now, she's probably up singing some white trash version of blank karaoke. What celebrity gets name dropped there? Right now, she's probably up singing some white trash version of blank karaoke.
Starting point is 00:44:08 I'm in for the way. I'm in. Amy? Shanaya. Lunchbox? Shenaya. Eddie? Shenaya.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Just probably up singing some of white trash version of Shania. Nice job. Everybody gets a point. Don't miss it or you're eliminated. Okay, yes, sir. Next one up. Big orange ball sinking in the water. Toes in the sand couldn't get much hotter.
Starting point is 00:44:30 Little umbrella, shaped margaritas, coconut oil, tan seoritas. Now I know how blank feels. Now I know how blank feels. I'm in? I'm in for the win. Amy. Jimmy Buffett?
Starting point is 00:44:47 Lunchbox. Jimmy Buffet. Eddie. I love this guy. I'm a parrot head myself. Jimmy Buffet. Correct. Little umbrella-shaped margaritas.
Starting point is 00:44:55 Coconut oil tanning seoridia. Come on. Now I know how Jimmy Buffett feels. All right. Let's do Rodney Aikins. Take a back road. Got to get out of here. Get it all off my mind.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Then like a memory from your grandpa's attic, a song comes slipping into the radio static. Changing my mood? A little blank 1982. Changing my mood A little blank 1982 I'm in
Starting point is 00:45:26 You know it Amy She's in quick Oh my gosh 19802 One more time Just no Changing my mind A little blank
Starting point is 00:45:36 1982 All right Everybody in Okay okay Here we go Amy Oh I'm 100% A little George Strait
Starting point is 00:45:46 1882 Lunchbox Hank Williams Eddie Kind of wait to Eddie Play it right right A memory from your grandpa's attic. A song comes slipping through the radio static.
Starting point is 00:45:56 Changing my mood. A little George straight, 1982. It makes me want to take a back road. There she is. Wins it quick. There she is. Like that song. There she goes.
Starting point is 00:46:10 Wow. Thank you, George. The game didn't go as long as I had hoped. Be sweats in. No. I won with the king. Won it like the champ that you are. Wow, wow, wow, wow. The Bible Bowl show.
Starting point is 00:46:25 Here's Amy's pile of stories. You know the singular form of confetti? I don't, but let me see if I can figure that out. One confetti. One confetti. Hold on, let me think about this. Confetti would be plural. Oh, I should preface this, that this is Fun Fact Friday.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Oh, okay. So these are fun facts. I'm already having fun. I'm glad I'm already kind of. Sorry, right out of the gate, I was just ready to have fun. Like if you didn't say there was a story and you said, hey, what's the singular of confetti? I would think it would also be confetti.
Starting point is 00:46:52 I would think it would just be, you know, because something singular and plural are the same. I would say confetti and confetti are the same, but I'm going to go confet. Because you, what is it? Confetto. That's stupid. Really?
Starting point is 00:47:05 Confetto. They just did that to be funny. But when have you ever seen like a one single piece of confetto? Ever? Confetti like comes together. Amy's like, did you hear what she just did? When have you ever seen a single confetto? Stop it.
Starting point is 00:47:17 That's what's called. I would say single piece of confetti would be how I would address a single piece but apparently I'm wrong All right, what else? Okay, so did you know that there used to be an official U.S. presidential yacht? Like you know there's Air Force One
Starting point is 00:47:32 and there's, you know, what's the helicopter one called? Marine one? Blackhawks. Something like that. No, no, no, marine one. And then, you know, they had a yacht and Jimmy Carter in 1977 got rid of it and then no presidents had brought it back.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Although I wouldn't put it past Trump if we got one. That guy, Jimmy Carter, what a great guy. I'm going to say that he's like almost 100 years old. He falls down in his house and he's still out there building houses for homes. For Habitat for humanity. Crazy, right? No homes for... Yeah, Habitat for humanity. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's big into that and has been
Starting point is 00:48:02 for a long time. Yeah. And he's got a black eye and he's out there still building houses. Like, he's dedicated to serving others. Yeah, that guy is a public servant. I wasn't alive during his presidency, but man, what a guy. All right, what else? Eddie, you were. weren't you?
Starting point is 00:48:17 Stop it. Next story. Oh, got him. Go ahead. Takes a shot on our way to another fun fact. On Fun Fact Friday. Speaking of aging, your head ages faster than your feet, but only by nanoseconds. But still, it's because your head is slightly closer to Earth's gravitational field.
Starting point is 00:48:34 So you age faster than your feet. That's not that fun of a fact. We'll go one more. Okay. Did you know that all the sweaters that Mr. Rogers wore on Mr. Rogers' neighborhood were knitted by his mother? I did. That's a fun fact, though. Wow. Yeah. His mom knitted all those sweaters. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:48:50 That's crazy. All right, give me one more quickly. Oh, one more? Okay, so Tom Hanks, he refused a predetermined pay for his roles in Forrest Gump and Saving Private Ryan. He instead said, hey, I just want to take a percentage and however the movies do worldwide. We'll just see how it goes. I think that's probably a business move more than it was a cheerful move. He made $60 million from Forrest Gump and $40 million from saving Private Ryan. There you go.
Starting point is 00:49:12 All right, what else you got? Okay, so pretty pumped about this. Like I used to love York peppermint patties. It's something I don't indulgent anymore, though, just because, like, it's straight sugar and not good for you. But there's now York peppermint paddy hot chocolate. People have been seeing it on the shows at Walmart. Minty chocolates for hot chocolate.
Starting point is 00:49:29 And they said it literally tastes like someone melted the candy in a mug. Like they nailed it. It's perfect. So if this is something you like to indulge it, it comes in powder packets and cake cups. Okay. Love one. That's simple. That's good.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Love one more story. And then did you know why Oprah never had kids? I never knew this until I read this headline. And I was like, what? Uh-huh. So she didn't because she said that a lot of the people she would see on her talk show just were really messed up because of stuff their moms and dads did who weren't aware of how serious the job is to be a parent. And she didn't want to be one of those bad parents. A bit, I feel like why would I bring a kid into this world right now?
Starting point is 00:50:06 Because it does, at times, it really, really stink. Environment's going to crap. Politics is not. It's just a really, really not pleasant place. Like, I probably still will. But I do go, should I even bring a kid into this world right now? Like, it don't feel that good. Well, if you adopt, somebody else has brought it in.
Starting point is 00:50:23 That's good. But then you still have the opportunity to mess up. Does the world really need another person brought in? We're overpopulated. But probably, yeah. We need good people, good people. Probably have a good kid, though. Yeah, probably changed the world.
Starting point is 00:50:34 She said that any motherly instincts she has are satisfied by her school for girls in Africa. I wonder if I have any motherly instincts. Sure you do. Hmm. Probably mostly motherly. More than fatherly. All right, Amy, is that it? Yep, I'm Amy, that's my pile.
Starting point is 00:50:48 That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. This guy, Alex, is out driving on his motorcycle, just cruising, and he pulls by a house, he's like, man, it looks like something in the backyard's on fire. He runs up to the front door, bangs on the door, no one home.
Starting point is 00:51:09 So he runs around the back and starts spraying the backyard structure that's on fire with a garden hose. and keeps it from spreading to the house until firefighters arrived. So he just maintained, like held it back. Yeah, he's just out riding his motorcycle. Whamrooom jumps off, starts fighting a fire with the garden hose. Good for him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:27 Good. I mean, if someone did that at your place, just driving by and stopped and saved it. Oh, yeah. Oh, my dinner. What did you do? Something like that. Dinner, gift cards.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Oh, a gift card. Oh, shopping spree. Oh, shopping spree. Now we're the spree part. I wonder if shopping sprees are less because of Amazon now. I would think so. Yeah? I've ever heard of one in a long time.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Shopping spree even. That's an old term. Hey, Morgan, number two, do you guys say shopping spree ever? No. Okay. All right, there you guys, what's all about. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine.

Starting point is 00:56:12 Oh yeah. I like that. I always like when people do live albums because I have so many questions. Because by the way, today you can stream live at the Rhyman, which is you guys go and do three nights at the Riemann, right? Yeah. Did you take the best songs from each of the three, or did you just play one whole set and say this is the one? It's mostly one night, but it was the last two nights.
Starting point is 00:56:32 We didn't record the first night. We were there. Oh, no, I'm sorry. It was the... Yeah, that's right. Yeah, we recorded night two and three. And most of it, I believe, is the third? The third night.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Yeah. And then there was a couple songs that were like, that does not sound good. So we took it from the first night. Let me play a little bit. This is from the live record. Let me do a little bit of stay a little longer here. Like 11. Yeah, about one more call.
Starting point is 00:56:57 So one more what you're doing right now. So one more trip to my side of town and you walk right. So one more here we go again. One more train leads to another. You side of. I like it when you can hear the crowd in live records. Yeah, me too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:13 Like that's the difference. Really for me, it's, because it's definitely raw, not as produced, but if you wanted that, you go into a studio. Yeah. But I like hearing the crowd in live records. Yeah, it's part of the energy. We like hearing them too. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:24 Just we know they're listening. But the crowds, the three nights that we were there with the Riemann were, they were really exceptional. We didn't really know what to expect. We had played the Riemann many times, but it was our first time ever headlining the rhyming and the crowds were just awesome. were really just over the top. There's a couple times where it sounds almost like the audience was canned,
Starting point is 00:57:46 and if it wasn't for them actually singing the lyrics, it would sound like we had brought in this audio just from another concert or something. It's just they were wild. Every night from start to finish, they were wild. Were you tempted, because we did a live comedy record, we were tempted to turn the laughs up. I'm not going to lie to you.
Starting point is 00:58:05 Were you tempted to turn up the audience a little bit in places? Not really. It was actually loud the whole time. When we got the recordings back, I was kind of nervous. I was like, oh, my God. I was thinking maybe we can just steal some applause from other songs
Starting point is 00:58:20 and build something. But, man, it was nuts. For us, we're so locked in on stage. It's hard to really gauge what the audience is doing, but if you listen to just the audience mics are going nuts. And I have been listening.
Starting point is 00:58:32 I like live records. Me too, man. Let me hear a little bit of Shoot Me Straight. Here we go. Song number two on Live at the Rhymen for Brothers Osborne. Chance and all I'm a shot of whiskey
Starting point is 00:58:57 Shoot me straight You know it us I like about live records You hear the music different Because the mix is the same The tones aren't exactly the same As when you record in the studio Like I can hear guitar riffs
Starting point is 00:59:09 slightly different there than I could actually On the album version Yeah You kind of hear the songs a bit different too It definitely singing too There's some moments where you just have to kind of let go and let it be. There's some things where I listen to it. I'm like, man, that is really pitchy, but it's how it was. It's, you know, it's how it was live. And even listen to that,
Starting point is 00:59:28 I'm like, man, we're rushing. Yeah. I listen to it now. I'm like, I'm like, I were rushing through that section so fast. We were too. We were talking about it before you guys came out. We were like, I'm going to play it and see if they noticed what we noticed. They were going a little too fast. Brothers Osborne here, again, records out today, live at the Riemann. And we've mentioned before on the show, TJ, that you and Amy live close to each other. Yeah, we do. And we had a whole story where her son ends up with a hat. Her son comes back to her house and she's like, I got a hat.
Starting point is 00:59:55 And Amy's like, did you steal that from T.J? Or sometimes his English is still, we're working on it. He's learning. I think his English is incredibly. It is. Incredibly great. Communication can be if he. I really, really love his accent.
Starting point is 01:00:07 I love listening to him talk. There was one time he's like, hey, where's your other car? I'm like, well, I've got an old car here, a vintage car and I have my truck. He goes, well, what happens? You need another car in case you're trying. truck breaks down, I'm like, I just love your thought process that I just need like three or four cars over here. But yeah, he's, every time I run into him, he's always just a big ball of energy. And so he's back there either on his, his scooter. He loves that scooter going up and down. No, he's always in the car. But yeah, I saw, I saw this hat. I was actually, we're playing faster horses in Michigan. And I stopped at this, uh, at this kind of antique mall. They had all this really cool stuff. And I saw this cowboy hat that was so, so cool.
Starting point is 01:00:49 And it was a smaller-sized hat. I'm like, someone, I need to buy this for someone. It's so cool. First, I thought he might see it and be like, no, I don't want that. But then when he put it on, he was like, can I have this? And I'm like, yeah, it's for you. It's yours. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:01 He said you gave it to him. And I thought, oh, man, this is one of those things where he probably took it. And then TJ's so nice that he's like, okay, buddy. And then I was like, I'm going to go ahead and return it. Anyway, it was super thoughtful. Like, and you're always so kind to him. And he always comes back to something. So, sweet. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:01:20 All right, Brothers Osborne in studio now. John, what TV family would you say most resemble as your real family? Oh, my God. I think Roseanne's a pretty good one. Roseanne, that's a good boy. Yeah, I don't know why I went straight 90s, but I feel like that's a good bet, just because, you know, blue collar is working class, and it can also just fall apart at any moment.
Starting point is 01:01:42 So that describes our family. And her mom is as sweet as they can get, but she can also rip into you like Roseanne. bar if it came down to it. How is your mom? She's good, man. She's good. She sends her love. I love your mom. She loves you. That's how I realized. I saw her on the, on y'all street. She was like out on the porch or something. I walked by and she had questions about lobby. Oh my God. And I was like, oh, I think maybe it was when you were on dancing to the stars. She wanted to make sure you knew she voted. I know. No, listen, you guys, your family has a lot of personality. I enjoy it on all sides.
Starting point is 01:02:15 We have the least amount of personality in our family by a long shot. Name a set of brothers that are cooler than you. Oh, God, I don't know, a bunch of them. Bellamy brothers, obviously. The Bellamy brothers. I don't know where the Bacon Brothers came to mind. The Bacon Brothers. That was really bizarre.
Starting point is 01:02:33 Brothers Johnson, remember those guys, that funk band? They were pretty cool. The Almond brothers? The actual Osborne brothers are cool than we are. The Wright brothers? Yeah, yeah. We're just naming any brothers. have to have brothers in their name are going to be like...
Starting point is 01:02:48 Just any brothers that are... Peyton and Eli Manning. Definitely cooler. Oh, they're not cooler than you guys? Yeah, they definitely are. All right, rank these three siblings from who you'd want to go camping with the most to the least.
Starting point is 01:03:00 T.J. I'll come to you. The Kardashians, the bald ones, or the Olsons. Most to the least. Most? Let's go camping with. You know, oh, God. That's a really odd group of people. I would say probably
Starting point is 01:03:15 I'm not a big Kardashians. I don't think I've ever watched an episode and I always find it so ridiculous anytime I see any of it usually infuriates me to watch their show. But I think they would provide a lot of entertainment. So I just put the Kardashians first. Plus being out camping with, you know,
Starting point is 01:03:34 shall I go any further. And the bald ones I'd probably put last. I like some of them, but I find a lot of them boring. So you go Kardashians? Olson. Olsons. Mary Kate Nashville and then the Baldwin
Starting point is 01:03:47 third. Interesting pick. Alec Baldwin though? Man, that's a complete... I like Alec Baldwin, but the rest of them would just be like, I just want to talk to your brother. Drink your beer, yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:55 All right, brothers Osborne here. The new album Live at the Riemann. Here's some of It Ain't My Fault. The last track on the record. Hit me with that one. So in the live record, why did you guys not play your hit Snapback? We did, but we just couldn't fit it on the record.
Starting point is 01:04:27 You know? Are you right now? We didn't want to give them all the hits. Yeah. Okay. It's so funny to see all the bands get confused for each other because you guys in Old Dominion it was happening in Florida, Georgia Line. But, I mean, it's just all of them are always being called somebody else.
Starting point is 01:04:41 Yeah. God, I remember it was this past year at the Grammys. We were on the red carpet, and I think it was like Entertainment Tonight or something. They were like, underneath they said, Old Dominion. And Old Dominion wasn't even there. And we're like, and plus there's, there's a big group. They weren't even there. And then someone was like, hey, you got it wrong.
Starting point is 01:05:03 And then they fixed it, but they fixed it in Florida Georgia, live. People were there. But I was like, oh, my dear Lord. They can send their checks to our house if they'd like to. That would be awesome. Has someone ever asked you guys a question that was clearly meant for another artist? Yes.
Starting point is 01:05:20 Yeah, that's happened several times. That happened that same night, or it happened at one point, someone had a red carpet. It was at the ACMs, and we were next to FGL. They were next in line, and this guy just gets us. He's like the local syndicate there, and he's like, he's clamoring, and he's like, guys, kind of get you for just a second. And Ailey or girl from the label's like, all right, you get them for two questions. And we come in and he goes, so, tell me about your record.
Starting point is 01:05:48 You can't say it ain't country. And we're like, well, that's not us. And that is your last question. See you later. And they were like, they're right next to us. it right here. But yeah, I was like, I don't know whether to be embarrassed
Starting point is 01:06:00 for you or for me. I always just, if I get asked, because sometimes, well, first of all, I get Bobby Jones all the time. All the time. Bobby Jones.
Starting point is 01:06:10 So much so that it's just a thing. Our cousin's husband is named Bobby Jones. Well, hopefully he gets Bobby bones. Hopefully he gets the other side of it. And whenever on Idol, sometimes they'll ask me Seacrest questions, if they're not, and they'll be like, so,
Starting point is 01:06:23 and I just answer them. Once a guy took me, to the set and thought I was Ryan Seacrest and he was like, hey, I'm just a big fan. And then I felt pressure because he thought it was Seacrest, so I tipped him so heavily so it wouldn't get back. The Seacrest was a bad tipper. Oh, dude. And then I told Ryan, I was like, dude, I just tip the crap out of him for you. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Oh man. Now you want me a hundred bucks. Like watch it. He's like, no, actually you owe me $5 now. Four CMA nominations, single of the year, Burning Man, vocal duo of the year, musical event of the year, and music video of the year. All you guys just keep racking them up, man. I know, it's a good feeling.
Starting point is 01:06:54 It's nice to wake up with that stuff. Also, these really off topic, these chairs are really nice in here. They are. I can't stop, like, touching them. That big money chair. All right, that'll do it, folks. That'll wrap us up. Hey, listen, Brothers Osborne live at the Rhymen now.
Starting point is 01:07:11 You've got 12 songs. Probably know all of them if you're a fan. If you don't, check them out. I love a live record. Why don't we go out on a little bit of, you know what reminds me of you guys is rum, because that was like when I first met you guys, you guys were coming in.
Starting point is 01:07:25 And I've told the story before where I was at a radio convention in Chicago, and they'd stopped the whole theater, and two knuckleheads come out. I'd never seen before. And they were like, hey, guys, just pay them five minutes of your time, and you guys came out and played. You know, we talked about that a lot back in the day years ago, because that was a really amazing thing. And I'll just say it for your listeners. I know we've talked about it, but John and I did this really uncomfortable radio seminar.
Starting point is 01:07:48 We had to go in the room and play in front of all these radio programmers. Some of them are in pop radio, others in country, in various other stations. And very few people listened or cared about it. We went up on stage just Sean and I, and it was very, very nerve-wracking. And so we got up there and performed it. And Bobby was one of the few people
Starting point is 01:08:09 that actually was incredibly attentive and listened to the entire performance and was there for front to finish. That's where he fell in love. It made us very good. That's where we fell in love. Before I play a bit of rum, here's the last thing.
Starting point is 01:08:20 John, what's the piece of advice from an artist that has stayed with you the longest? Take us out on this question. Man, work hard and be nice to people. And who told you that? Paul Franklin, the pedal steel guitar player. That work hard and be nice to people and everything will unfold. Strangely, I saw him just two nights ago because we were out Coupleton.
Starting point is 01:08:37 That was 19 years ago. And I said, Paul, you don't remember me, but you told me a piece of advice 19 years ago to work hard and be nice to people. And I still apply that to this day. When you guys were early on, did you guys ever think about naming yourself something else? Did you go, hey, we're going to be a band where brothers? Oh, absolutely. It's so hard because. nowadays, because of Facebook, every person who thinks of a band, a karaoke singer is like,
Starting point is 01:09:00 well, this is the name of my karaoke guy. And it's really, really, really hard to come up with an original band name. We named ourselves Captain Kidd for a while, which is after a liquor store in our hometown in Deal, Maryland. And then there was a band randomly in Paris that started blowing up called Captain Kidd, which in hindsight, I'm glad we're not called Captain Kitt. But I, you know, but you just, you never know. I mean, it's literally out there. I mean, everything's out there. Coming up with an original name is pretty hard to do.
Starting point is 01:09:28 And there wasn't another brother. I know there was Osborne brothers. That's the thing. We even took that Osborne brothers. We just flipped it around. All right, Raymondo, play us some rum. Here they are. Records out.
Starting point is 01:09:42 It's a live record from Brothers Osborne. Check it out today. Go see them live. They're hitting the road with Chris Stapleton's All-American Road Show tour. South Carolina, Virginia Beach, Greensboro, North Carolina, Peoria, Kansas City, Greenville, South Carolina, and Louisville, Kentucky, all of our places. We'll see it to see in May, but I'll see you before then. Yes, sir. And you know I love you guys. Love you, buddy. Good to see you.
Starting point is 01:10:03 There they are. Brother's awesome. Captain Kid. Captain Kid. Captain Kid. We're out of here, Captain Kid. Weddings always making somebody crazy in the news. That's why we do this segment here. Weddings be making me crazy. Time for another edition of Weddings make your people crazy! There it is. An angry bride begs for an expert to Photoshop her cousin's very short dress so that it covers her cleavage and flattens her stomach.
Starting point is 01:10:30 Have you seen the picture? In the wedding photos, no. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's pretty... Do I need to see the picture, though? Because I would be like, this is nuts regardless of what the picture is. Right. I wouldn't do that to my cousin.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Like, I wouldn't beg for it. But I would be like, oh, wow, okay. Is this going to be a framer or not? Can you put the picture on my screen? Mike, I'd be curious to see this. A bride pleaded for her own cousin to be edited in her wedding photographs. Anonymous newlywed even offered to pay whoever covered it to the chat. I mean what that means.
Starting point is 01:11:02 Whoever Photoshopped it that she paid. Well, it says Anonymous newlywed even offered to pay whoever covered her relative's chest. So it's on her chest too. There's a lot of cleavage. And then it's a very short dress and it's really tight on her tummy. There's just a lot. Like the dress doesn't really fit her. I'm looking at it.
Starting point is 01:11:18 now. Is it bad? It is what it is. You're not going to blow it up and frame it in your house. Why not? Looks like you're going to the club. Then don't put her in the picture to begin with. Because she's your family.
Starting point is 01:11:31 Okay, but then don't put her in the... Here's what I would say. If you don't like it, you have to write it and go, hey, just take one without her. Oh. You don't have to make a big deal about it. Take one without her. You don't have to Photoshop it. If you let her in the picture and you take the picture, then she now exists in the picture.
Starting point is 01:11:45 You can't Photoshop her whole body and dress. Yeah. seems it sounds like you would though no I wouldn't I'm just saying I wouldn't ask for that to be done like I wouldn't want to hurt I wouldn't say anything I'm only commenting on it now because we're talking about it if it was me I just wouldn't say anything we'll put it up on our bobby bones.com
Starting point is 01:12:01 but it's awkward so she's like hey if you can like make her dress longer and you can cover her chest and make her stomach smoother that's just a lot of stuff yeah well why not we how about we fix your face how about we fix a lot of stuff too physical stuff
Starting point is 01:12:16 So if you don't want her in the picture like that Don't let her in the picture like that Talk to her like an adult Well she probably didn't know she's going to show up In her dress like that She's probably like thinking It was later revealed that even the woman herself Agreed with the Bride's sentiments about her ensemble
Starting point is 01:12:30 And now regrets her choice of dress for the occasion Oh Weddings be play that club again Whatever that is Weddings make time for another edition of Weddings making people crazy There you go Bobby Bones Yeah
Starting point is 01:12:42 All right we're going to go over and talk to Chris parentheses Chris is a girl in Ohio. That's what my screen says. Chris, you there. I'm here. There she is. How are you? I'm good.
Starting point is 01:12:55 How are you? Pretty good. Do you ever heard the 60 second showdown? Yes, often. Does it frustrate you when people don't win because you're like, I got to got that? Sometimes, yeah. But some I don't know. Well, I'm going to give you your first up this week.
Starting point is 01:13:11 I'm going to give you three options. You have all three categories to choose from, okay? Great. You can choose category A, the Bobby Bones show, which is all about us. How long have you been a listener of the show? Not that long because my son, my son, I carpooled with him, and I'm like, who is this Bobby Bones guy? Who is this dude? Probably not your-
Starting point is 01:13:34 Funny, and I've been hooked ever since. Well, probably not your strongest category then. If I'm just speaking honestly, if you're a new listener, maybe that's not for you. But let's go to category number two. 90s sitcoms. Ooh. Okay, what do you think about that? I'm still pretty good about that.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Okay, okay. And you have one other option. Today's country. Ooh. I have to go 90s sitcoms. Okay, she's going 96% everybody. Here we go. Now, here are the rules.
Starting point is 01:14:03 I have 10 questions. You have to get them all right in 60 seconds. They're not that hard. It's just, you've got to average one ride every six seconds. If you don't know it, what I would suggest is that you pass. real quick and we come back to it, okay? Yes. If you miss it, we'll come back to it.
Starting point is 01:14:17 It doesn't eliminate you. You will get another stab at it on the backside. Hey, all right. Are you ready? I'm ready. It will start as soon as the end of the first question hits.
Starting point is 01:14:28 60 seconds on my timer. And 90 sitcoms with Chris in Ohio. Here we go. What was the last name of the family on family matters? Passed. In the title, Third Rock from the Sun,
Starting point is 01:14:43 What does Third Rock refer to? Earth. Correct. On Full House, what morning show does Danny Tanner co-host? Good morning. Well, I don't know. Say it for six or something? Incorrect.
Starting point is 01:14:58 What was the name of the pet monkey that Ross had on Friends? Gosh, pass. In the title, Beverly Hills 90210. What does 9.0-2101 refer to? Gip code. Correct. What was the name of the school, the principal from saved by the... What was the name of the principal from Say About the Bell?
Starting point is 01:15:17 Mr. Belding? Correct. What was the name of Katie Holmes' character in Dawson's Creek? Oh, I didn't watch that past. What fictional city do the Simpsons live in? No idea. Never watch that show. What 90-sidcom feature of the soup Nazi? Thikes Bell.
Starting point is 01:15:34 Correct. What was the Butler's name on the Fresh Prince of Bell Air? Okay. What did you say? Jeffrey. She said it. Jeffrey. That's correct. Now you didn't get 10, let's see.
Starting point is 01:15:45 The family matching last name was the Winslow's. There you go. Third Rock from the Sun is actually Earth. Danny Tanner does host a show about San Francisco, but it's called Wake Up, San Francisco. Ross's monkey's name is Marcel. Marcel. There you go. 9-210 is the zip code.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Mr. Belding is the principal unsaid by the bell. Katie Holmes' character on Dawson's Creek was, I don't know that one. Joey. Joey. That's right. Oh. The Simpsons live in.
Starting point is 01:16:15 Springfield. Right. You have Seinfeld for the Sub-Nazi question, and Jeffrey was the butler from the Fresh Prince of L.A. You did not win the 60-second showdown, but you gave it a decent run. I'd give it a solid C-minus. There you.
Starting point is 01:16:30 Obviously, have a young kid beside you in the car. A little distracting. No, he's my grandson. I'm at home, and he follows me everywhere, so. I'm so sorry. No, I enjoyed it. made me giving that money away even less of an option. Well, listen, I appreciate you hanging out with us, Chris, and thanks for listening to the show.

Starting point is 01:20:11 Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plant tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple, nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense.
Starting point is 01:20:46 Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. You see these shoes that sold for $3,000? I didn't. Now, I love shoes. I have a lot of tennis shoes. But I would never buy these shoes for a couple of reasons. One, because they were going for $3,000.
Starting point is 01:21:09 What do you think would make a shoe go for that much money? Diamonds on them. Sure, made of gold. Crystones, yeah. Yeah. Oh, maybe somebody wore them like. Oh, like famous in history. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Okay. A limited edition sneaker, which is filled with holy water in the souls, and was blessed by a priest. Sold out within minutes. It cost $3,000. Ooh, fancy. No, that's stupid. No, not fancy.
Starting point is 01:21:37 Brooklyn-based creative label M-S-C-H-F is responsible for releasing the shoe which is a pair of all-white Nike Air Max 97s and though the design is in no way affiliate with Nike they've been injected with holy water
Starting point is 01:21:51 they say is sourced from the Jordan River now how would you really know you can't is there an authenticity on this the water which is visible in the see-through hole has some coloring added to enhance visibility
Starting point is 01:22:05 would Jesus want you selling shoes for $3,000. Well, then what are you doing with the money? What do you mean? What if you use it to go, whoever sold them takes the money and uses it to feed? Oh, the homeless. The homeless. That's not in here.
Starting point is 01:22:21 Well, you're asking what Jesus would think. We're like, well, let's see. Widows and orphans. They are pretty cool shoes, so I'm not going to lie, but there's no chance. And there's a little cross on the front of them, too. Oh, added touch. Yeah, there's a little cross on there. So anyway, I saw that.
Starting point is 01:22:37 I thought that's pretty cool. There's a pretty cool story of people being dumb and spending money. I mean, ridiculous amounts of money, I think. Right. That must just be nothing to them. There is a new Bobbycast with Teneal Arts. Check that out. It's up on the old feed right now.
Starting point is 01:22:51 Search Bobbycast wherever you listen to that. By the way, I mentioned yesterday, Eddie won the one-hit wonder draft. Oh, yay. With achy-breaky-hard, his first-round draft pick. So I'm no longer in last place, right? I think you're still in last place. I think now you're just tied for last place. Isn't that right?
Starting point is 01:23:06 Probably with me. Lovely. Eddie, Ramundo, and Amy are all tied with three. Wow. Three wins. By the way, I got a proof for our championship belt.
Starting point is 01:23:15 It'll be here in the next week or so. So we'll have our championship belt that when someone wins the season, they get to keep the championship belt. Love it. Lunchbox finished last. He'll be sitting out on Tuesday of next week. The draft on Tuesday will be greatest inventions. Inventions.
Starting point is 01:23:30 Yeah. I'm starting some down already. I was texting with Morgan number two last night, and she was like, I don't even care anymore. I was like, you can't fool a fooler. She's like, yeah, I don't even care about the draft anymore. Yeah, yeah, you do. I mean, I stopped carrying after I didn't win the Halloween candy draft
Starting point is 01:23:47 because my number one pick is the number one candy for Halloween this year. Do you know people that stop caring about competing when they lose? You know what they're called? Yeah, yeah, tell her. What? They call not cool people. Yeah. Oh, they're going to call them losers.
Starting point is 01:23:59 Yeah. Yeah. So stop. You can't not care if you're not winning. No, I'll just focus on other things. Okay. No, no, no, stop. Just because it's not going your way, you don't give up hope.
Starting point is 01:24:09 And the game's not over. Anyway, so congratulations, Eddie. Thank you, bones. Eddie had achy-brakey heart, strawberry wine. That second round pick was it. So good. Strawberry wine? Yeah, that's great.
Starting point is 01:24:19 You nailed a second round pick too. So the fact of that sat out there and none of us picked it in the first round. I was worried you guys were. Or even second round. I didn't even have it. Me either. I'm a phone of it. Anyway, nice work.
Starting point is 01:24:31 Buddy. Inventions on Tuesday. That'll be the next track. It's time for the good news. With Bobby Tell me something good 27-year-old guy near Houston named Alex was out walking his three dogs
Starting point is 01:24:45 last Thursday when he got struck by lightning stopped his heart he fell face first under the pavement but luckily he was walking by a vet's office when he got hit one of the employees in the vet's office happened to see it a woman named Christy said
Starting point is 01:25:02 what just happened he's going to need CPR and when they got him his clothes were charred his shoes and socks have been ripped in half and there was a big hole in the concrete. Oh my gosh. Holy crap.
Starting point is 01:25:13 They immediately started chest compressions called 911 because they got to him so fast that he actually collapsed outside of the office from lightning hitting. Hit him. They worked him until a paramedic got there. He was breathing again. He didn't even realize he been struck by lightning until he was on his way to the hospital in the helicopter. So the fact they saw him that quick saved his life.
Starting point is 01:25:29 How about that? There was a hole in the pavement in the dude's, he should have a superpower after this. In the movies, this is how people, they get superpowers. It's like turn lights on by just touching it. Yeah, like blink. Right. And people fall down or something.
Starting point is 01:25:42 Like a lame one. But even then, shout out to the people working at the vet's office for saving this guy's life. That's awesome. And I really thought there's going to be a dog part of this story. What happened to the dogs? They run off? Oh, good point.
Starting point is 01:25:52 Vets probably saved them too. Dogs fine. Yeah, yeah. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Hey, we just did that, Tell Me Something Good before the dance party about the lightning strike. There's an update here on the phone.
Starting point is 01:26:05 This is Tony in Texas. Hey, Tony, what's happening? Morning studio. Morning. Congratulations on the baby lunch box, by the way. Thank you. So this guy had the three dogs, and there's actually a video online, and when the lightning struck, the dogs got scared and took off.
Starting point is 01:26:22 And the story that I read to the sheriff's department was able to locate the dogs and reunite them with the owner, so I thought you guys, being dog lovers might enjoy that. Yeah, I do. That's what I was worried about in the story. I was like, well, what happened are the dogs? Yeah, they're okay. Here we go. We've got to add it.
Starting point is 01:26:35 Tell me. Yay. All right. Thank you, Tony. Appreciate that. You're welcome. Have a good day. See you later.
Starting point is 01:26:42 You too. Bye. A lot of people ask about my dog. I put a picture up yesterday of my dog and I, both chewing on a dog stick. Did you really eat that? Is it a keto? I didn't really eat. I just put it in my mouth.
Starting point is 01:26:53 But people are like, you're disgusting. Do you know the two things that people like me post the pictures of? Because I'm not a big Instagram. I'll go look at the end of the week because there's a data, like an analytics tool. The two things that people like me to post on Instagram. What do you think they are? Dog. Boom.
Starting point is 01:27:07 There you go. That's correct. There's one. I don't know. American Idol. Morgan number two. They like it when I post pictures with my dog or with Morgan number two. Interesting. Yeah. What do you make about that?
Starting point is 01:27:19 This is because they want you all together? Maybe so. Yeah. But it's like that picture from her birthday party that we posted. I posted a couple days ago. People just love that picture. Hey, whatever. If we have to get together just for Instagram, I'm here for it.
Starting point is 01:27:34 I'm just kidding. Maybe just turned her chair around. Uh-oh. No, I didn't. You mad, Amy? I'm going back and forth like this. Are you jealous? No.
Starting point is 01:27:43 Don't be jealous. You're jealous? You're jealous? You're jealous? You're jealous? Invite Morgan number two to go to The Joker tonight. Me, Eddie, my friend Jared, and my friend Nikita are going to watch The Joker tonight. So, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:27:53 Mike, is this a scary movie or no? Because you know I don't like scary movies. Not scary? And I'll like it, you say. And so we're going to go watch The Joker. Cannot wait. Because Eddie and I don't get enough of each other. Every weekend together.
Starting point is 01:28:04 We're here every day on the show. We tour every weekend. And then Eddie's like, hey, let's go to a movie. And I was like, great. So we're going to go watch the Joker tonight, which is going to be pretty cool. Also, yesterday it was announced that the CMT artists of the year where I think they recognized five different artists. They're having me at the show. I'm going to do something on stage.
Starting point is 01:28:21 And I'll be performing for Carrie Underwood. I'm going to do one of her songs. Oh, awesome. Are you serious? I'm going to do it before he cheats. Stop it. Stop. What is no way.
Starting point is 01:28:31 She's one of the artists. Right. Yeah. And so I'm going to go up and perform before. he cheats before she accepts you. Because I think every artist has someone perform for them. And so they're like, hey, aren't you?
Starting point is 01:28:42 So do you want to hear what it's going to sound like? Yes, I do. Imagine this on TV. Here we go. Go ahead. Here we go. Thank you, everybody for being here at CMT Awards tonight for artists at the year.
Starting point is 01:28:52 Kerry, this one's for you. And then I give Carrie a point. If I get Mike Fisher of Air Daps, and then I grab the mic and I look at her and I go, uh-uh. Right now, he's probably slow dancing with the bleach blonde tramp and she's probably getting frisky
Starting point is 01:29:07 and Carrie right now he's probably buying her some fruity little drink because she can't chew whiskey right now he's probably up behind her with the pool stick showing her how to shoot a combo he don't know when the smoke comes up
Starting point is 01:29:25 and I go, and not dogma okay so I'm not singing I'm actually presenting Carrie as the artist of the year. So no singing. Well what happened was some of the people had reported it that I was performing
Starting point is 01:29:36 for Carrie because it was like Vince Gill will be performing. Lady Annabelle will be performing. Bobby Bowen's performing. And I was like, dear God, can you imagine if they had me get up? If I were to perform, I would get my guitar and do a comedy song. Like I'm playing the Grand Ole Opry next week. I perform. But I wouldn't perform a Carrie Underwood
Starting point is 01:29:52 song. So regardless of what you read on the internet, I'm not performing. I am going to go up and say some nice things about Carrie. So, watch it. But that right there could be good comedy. I don't know why they wouldn't let me do that. I mean, wouldn't that be hilarious? That's my point.
Starting point is 01:30:08 Wouldn't that be hilarious if they just let me do that? Yes. And they were like, here to perform. And it's bad. Right now. And I come out and I'm dressed like Carrie. Oh, wow. You're going full.
Starting point is 01:30:19 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why not? Blonde wig and all. That would be great. There should be more levity in these award shows. I feel like we're all so serious with all of our declarations of they're so great. And Carrie is great. And I'm so thankful she asked me to do this.
Starting point is 01:30:31 But like, let me come out and knock some of this out. Can you imagine the room would just be like beside themselves? laughing if I came out singing this song Dress as Carrie Ah No no no Go rogue I will not go
Starting point is 01:30:44 I did that once a long time ago As they still haven't forgiven me For going rogue But yeah I hope you guys Check that out Let's go talk to Kelly in Oklahoma Who's on the phone right now Kelly what's happening with you
Starting point is 01:30:56 Good morning studio Morning I want to know what Eddie's wind song says Like the English interpretation of it Okay, so you may have heard this song whenever Eddie wins a game. Here we go. Okay. So, Eddie, by the way, your real name is Eduardo.
Starting point is 01:31:20 Yes, it's my real name. What does that song say? Oh, gosh. I mean, it says something like, let's play that again. Well, you don't know? No, no, no. Do we have to call him Mike D who actually knows Spanish? Mike D may know it better than I do.
Starting point is 01:31:32 I grew up where my parents spoke Spanish and I spoke English. That's the way our conversations would go. So I kind of understand it, but I don't really know exactly what he's saying. Okay. And that's my uncle, by the way. In this clip? Yes, singing. Mike D, do you know what this song says?
Starting point is 01:31:48 Well, it's just a dance. Okay, go ahead. That was a dance. It's the same thing like La Macarena. But what is it mean at the beginning there? Here, play it. Oh, he doesn't have headphones on. Ramundo, we're going to play it again from the beginning.
Starting point is 01:32:01 Right here. What does that say right there? The rhythm that's passing, and then he goes into the dance part of it. The rhythm that's passing. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, he's right. It's like, it's like the macarena, you know, where you like.
Starting point is 01:32:18 Oh, come on. You don't know. I did. He's like instructing you to do like put your. I feel like he's kind of saying like the people are getting together to do the tao, thou like that. Right, Mike? Is that kind of what it is? Hey, as you can see.
Starting point is 01:32:33 Eddie doesn't know. Kelly, Eddie doesn't know. That. I just know y'all get all so excited. I'm like, I have no clue what they're saying. And I want to know. I don't feel like you have to know the words to be excited. Boom.
Starting point is 01:32:44 Like when I played, Despacito in the dance party, no idea what that means. But I'm down. Neither does Bieber, I don't think. Remember that clip of Justin Bieber singing that song? And he's like going,
Starting point is 01:32:56 blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Despacito, blah, blah, blah. Because he doesn't know it in Spanish. It's so good. Hey, Kelly, thank you for calling. Thank you. You all have a wonderful day. See you later.
Starting point is 01:33:08 I got a couple stories here that I'd talk about. There's a politician who launches a campaign by doing the 8 Mile on himself? Do you know what that is, Amy? He battled it out? I think 8 Mile, the movie were M&M wraps.
Starting point is 01:33:22 But what do you think the 8 Mile is? I don't know. The final scene of 8 Mile, Eminem knows that the guy's going to use all this stuff against him, so he goes and he uses all against himself. Oh, there you go. So he says all the bad stuff about himself so the guy up against him can't.
Starting point is 01:33:35 So a county sheriff candidate in South Carolina kicked off his campaign by announcing he wore blackface to a Halloween party in 2008, and then here is him doing the rap. Go ahead. I'm not perfect, and I wish I can change a thing or two. As a 16-year-old, I received a ticket for not having my driver's license in my possession. I've been married, divorced, and remarried. I've lost my temper and been reprimanded at work.
Starting point is 01:33:59 I've been in fender-benders that were my fault. And about 10 years ago, as a young police officer, I attended a law enforcement Halloween party dressed as Ruthless Drug Kingpin, Big Meach Flannery. Today we understand that type of costume is troubling to many. And so he just goes eight mile on him. He's like, all right, here you go, here's everything. I kind of like that guy. Yeah, we do.
Starting point is 01:34:20 So ahead of the 2020 election, the county sheriff candidate, I wonder if he did it all, though. Oh, like, you think he made stuff up? No, no, no, no. I'm wondering if he put it all out there. Oh, okay. Like there's some stuff he left out. Yeah, but then you think,
Starting point is 01:34:33 when we put it all out there, so you don't even investigate it anymore. Yeah, that's true. Anyway, I thought that was kind of funny. There was a driver who accidentally stops a guy in a high-speed chase because the guy's flying and he's being chased by the cops. But the guy's driving and he sees somebody behind him, but he won't let him through. He's like, I'm not letting this idiot through.
Starting point is 01:34:48 And so that's what ended up stopping the guy. Yeah, without knowing. Isn't that crazy? A guy in Seattle would not move over for someone tailgating him on the freeway. Turns out, it still happened to me the guy was in a high-speed police chase. And the guy couldn't move. And then the guy wouldn't move. So cops were like, dun-da-dum.
Starting point is 01:35:01 Oh, here he is. Let's get him. And they got him. Wow. A guy named Scott Tanner was driving in the carpool lane on the freeway. When a guy in a Jeep sped up behind him. and he's like, no, I'm not letting you through. It turns out he stopped the guy.
Starting point is 01:35:15 Do you get road rage? No, I would let him through. I'd be like, oh, that guy's in a hurry. I better get over. My husband would be like, you're not getting past me. Like, that would be my husband. He gets road rage big time. I would be like, oh, this guy may need to get to the hospital or help save someone.
Starting point is 01:35:30 I should let him through and I'd be like, go ahead, sir. Yeah. Let me help you. Yeah, but they got him there. Shit. Bobby Boneshow So once we end our show today I would encourage you to check out the
Starting point is 01:35:43 Bobby Bones Show podcast Because up there We continue going for a while It's called the post show pre-show And also if you finish that Over the weekend If you want to check out the interview show That I do from my house
Starting point is 01:35:52 Called the Bobbycast Tenil Arts stopped by There are two Teneal's One's Tonele Towns Once Teneal Arts So Tenele Arts stopped by the house And I'll tell you what she did That was kind of a boss move
Starting point is 01:36:02 She brought her guitar on my house Oh I saw that And I was like Wow she's performing I didn't ask her to but she was like, I brought my guitar, why not? And so, yeah, she grabs her guitar and performs. She has a song that we play on the women of our heart country
Starting point is 01:36:15 called I hate this, which is kind of interesting. She said she wrote it about a breakup, and then she ended up going through a breakup, and then that song affected her in a different way. Here is that clip. Pretty new, and it's funny because when I had originally written it, I wasn't going through a breakup or anything. Like, I was kind of imagining what that would be like and everything.
Starting point is 01:36:33 And then I went through a breakup, and that song, it was so hard to go out and sing that song at every show. So a song that you didn't write about your breakup ended up being hard to sing because later on you went through a breakup. Yeah. So you can hear that, and then she pulled out a guitar and played some of that. I hate this. This is some of the audio from it.
Starting point is 01:36:50 Play me a little bit of that. So check it out. It's the newest episode of the Bobby cast with Teneal Arts. She played on The Bachelor twice. And kind of the second time she played, that's when her record label was like, Hey, you're pretty good. We should give you a deal. Oh, wow. It's an interesting story.
Starting point is 01:37:11 So check it out. Tenel Arts. Search for the Bobbycast wherever you're podcasting. Starting point is 01:40:41 Here you go. A Spirit Airlines flight out of Chicago was delayed after a drunk passenger vomited in a stranger's hair. Oh, that is so disgusting. The incident was caught on video, of course. Good. And posted on social media.
Starting point is 01:41:00 Cassidy Smith posted her horrified reaction as a flight attendant wearing gloves helped clean the passenger's hair. Everyone was ordered off the plane. Also, I'd have been annoyed that part too. the woman who was on the receiving end of the incident used the time as everyone was getting off the plane to go wash her hair in the airport bathroom.
Starting point is 01:41:18 The man who threw up on the woman was not allowed to fly and was escorted off the plane. This is a bad situation. I tell you, one time in college, we were in these temporary little trailers because they were rebuilding one of the student halls classrooms. And so we're all out and it's a little hot
Starting point is 01:41:36 and we're all crammed in this trailer and it was a science class. and I'm sitting there and I see this person up ahead of me just to the left, like shaking a little bit. More rocking back and forth, but at a pretty good rate, just rocking, rocking, rocking, and I'm watching. A little uncomfortable, a little sweaty, and I'm watching him. And he goes, and vomits all in the back of the head of the foreign exchange student who was up ahead of them. Everywhere. And I'm like, oh my goodness.
Starting point is 01:42:05 It's disgusting. And then the kid, the foreign exchange student, was so embarrassed he wouldn't get up. He just was like, and he just tried to focus forward. And everyone was like, no, it's okay. Go to the bathroom. He was so embarrassed that he, and finally someone had to walk him out. But it was brutal. I wish I had an Instagram store.
Starting point is 01:42:21 For sure, I would have pulled it out of him like, oh my gosh. But yeah, that's pretty brutal, man. So I saw that. I wanted to share it. Let's do Keith Urban and we were. Keith sent me a nice message last night. It was like, hey, Bobby, congratulations on the CMA. I'm flying away, bitch, want to say congratulations.
Starting point is 01:42:38 That's nice. And I was like, have a safe flight and he goes, Oh, tell the pilot. The Bobby Bones show. Here we go, Flashback Friday, back to 2009. Flashback Friday. 2009, you were where? I was living in North Carolina
Starting point is 01:42:55 and doing the show from my house there because my husband was in the Air Force and that's where you were stationed. Fort Bragg. Yeah, where were you? Austin, Texas. Probably single. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:43:08 Maybe I wasn't. No. Ooh, you might not have been. I think you were... 2009? Yeah, you may not have been. Maybe I was in the middle of that four-year relationship. You were dating, yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:16 Maybe. Okay, the biggest country song on this day in 2009 was from Justin Moore, Small Town, USA. Small Town USA. The biggest pop song was Lady Gaga poker face. And the biggest thing of pop culture on this day, in 2009, Garth Brooks announces he's coming out of retirement to accept a five-year contract to do shows at the Encore Hotel and Casino. in Las Vegas. Now, I went to this. It was amazing.
Starting point is 01:43:55 I had seen Garthin forever. Maybe I saw him as a kid? Maybe I didn't. I don't know. But I went and it was just him by himself on a stage, not only playing his songs, but playing his favorite songs as a kid. He did this whole timeline of,
Starting point is 01:44:11 these are all the songs that influenced him and then influenced him to play these songs. It was crazy. It was amazing. And so what I remember was, the deal to do this included a plane to send him back and forth. So we fly out to the show, do the show, fly back home.
Starting point is 01:44:24 The wind guy. And so, because Garth was like, I want to be with my family. And he's like, okay, cool. Well, we'll have a plan to pick you up like a school bus. Pull in front of the house. And you get on the plane, take you to Vegas, and we'll come back home after that. So, yeah, that was it.
Starting point is 01:44:37 That was Flashback Friday 2009. Flashback Friday. Okay, the weekend. Amy, what you got? Well, today I have parent-teacher conference. Wow. My husband and I, we meet with both the kids' So the kids are out of school today.
Starting point is 01:44:52 So when they do this, like the parents have to come in and do the meeting. So then after that, I guess we'll just hang out with the kids. Eddie and I do the raging Eddie's playing in Fresno, California, where you're headlining the big fair of Fresno. And then on Sunday, I fly to D.C. to start back on American Idol.
Starting point is 01:45:32 So, whoo. I know, it's a lot of, it's always work. A lot of dots on that guy. What am I talking about here? It's always worth. I'm like, it's surprisingly, a lot of work, whatever. So, yeah, that's pretty much the weekend here. If you're listening to this show right now,
