Starting point is 00:03:00 look at the list. We'll write a little pen thing there. Well, I'd write him a little love note each day. I appreciate you. Telling how sweetie is to me. We just finished Monday's show. You know, I saw this story about PETA saying the word pet is derogatory and we should use
Starting point is 00:03:16 companion instead. Hey, we realize dogs don't understand words, right? They don't know the difference. PETA is saying that the word pet is derogatory and people should stop using it. They suggest people use companion. They believe that people refer to themselves as owners should also stop using that. term. By the way, I own my dog.
Starting point is 00:03:36 Like, I just, I don't think I could roll my eyes to me bigger right now. I was actually thinking the other day how cool that we call them pets, we can actually touch these animals. Like, how many animals can we touch? Not very many. Anything domestic? Yeah. Well, like cats and dogs or whatever. Pigs. Yeah, but I mean, we can't touch a lion. The fact that we have pets, I was actually thinking about this a couple days ago. I like calling them pets. Yeah. I feel like,
Starting point is 00:04:02 My dog is, yeah, my dog's probably glad. We're its owners. Yeah, and not in the wild. We treat him good. Do you have the dog camera? No, but I want to get it. I wrote it down. I need to.
Starting point is 00:04:14 I'm mostly excited about doing that thing where you give it the treat. Yeah, that gets old after a second because you've got to keep refilling it. And then they, my dog knows where it is now and he's like hitting it. He wants a trace for it. It was like, it's like me in the vending machine. Once we figured out in like 11th grade, you could shake it and you can get them to come out. My dog is shaking the vending machine now, basically. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:04:32 More married couples are sleeping in separate beds. Why? Because why? The snoring. A lot of things. Because we're prioritizing sleep. If you are prioritizing sleep and you don't sleep well, then you shouldn't. Like, Amy, let's say you and I, if you're kick and scream and I don't sleep well and that's keeping me up every night, I should move to a different bed.
Starting point is 00:04:54 We should have two beds so you don't kick me. We can hug and whatever. I know. It's a bummer, but I get it. Some people can't imagine not curling up with their spouse at night, but more couples are opting for separate beds. They're willing to try it because they're not sleeping well. Different work schedules. A partner who snores.
Starting point is 00:05:12 Their lives are just unhealthier because of when they sleep together. So it ends up being, I guess if it's a snoring, it could be separate rooms, not just separate beds. We are bound by tradition so much that we're getting unhealthier because of it. This is kind of a gateway, though. It starts with the beds, then the house, and then cities. the next thing you know you never see your spouse. Yeah. Can't do stuff like this.
Starting point is 00:05:34 Yeah. Okay. Papal. We always slept in the same bed. Most serial killers share the same astrological sign. Oh no.
Starting point is 00:05:46 What is that? What is it? At the mirror, they did a serial killer astrological sign roundup. Finding the majority of bloodthirsty evildoers are blank.
Starting point is 00:05:57 Amy, what are you? Pisces? I'm an Ares. Leo Ares I'm a Libra Cancer Ramuda what are you
Starting point is 00:06:06 Virgo None of you guys are it Oh good A Taurus What months is that? That's my wife I don't want That's my wife
Starting point is 00:06:13 You're gonna die Taurus are devoted Patient and Hardworking traits Which can make for a good personality And someone Who is an evil manipulator So most
Starting point is 00:06:22 And they list a lot of these people Are Tauruses It's April 20th And May 20th H.H. H. H. Holmes America's first modern serial killer. Who's on over there? Admit.
Starting point is 00:06:38 Come on. Come on. It's not me. Whose phone went off? I know who it was, but I'm not going to say it. So it's over on your table. It was me. Thank you. Okay, let's turn our phones off, kids.
Starting point is 00:06:46 We're on the radio here. That's why I tell you guys, I'd leave my phone off, and these idiots over here convince me to keep my phone on it. It's not their computer. That wasn't even your phone. All right, kids. And they list a whole bunch of serial killers. I got off track because that...
Starting point is 00:07:00 Distracting. like, thing, took me off my thing here. Unbelievable. A greedy couple asked for people not invited to their wedding for gifts. That's the headline. I don't have a problem with people asking for anything ever. You can always say no. I have no problem of people asking for things.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Bride and groom sent a note to people who were not invited to their wedding saying, hey, you guys can chip up for the honeymoon. Again, is it awkward? Is it uncomfortable? Is it... Tacky? Yes. Okay. All of those. But it's not... I have no problem with people asking. Okay. They explained that the venue could
Starting point is 00:07:31 and accommodated everyone, but then added they are accepting money to aid in a beautiful honeymoon. Folks on the internet slammed them for being greedy and tacky. If you were to get this message, what would you do? Give them a little money? I don't know. I guess it depends on how close I was to them. I guess like... If you're super close, you got to go to the wedding.
Starting point is 00:07:50 No, maybe not. I mean, okay, then I'm only semi-close. Like I started to think, like, if this Ray and Bay, for example, because they're planning a wedding, if their venue was like super small and it was just really intimate and I knew that, Ben and I didn't make the cut, I would still want to get them a gift. Like, that I feel close to. And I don't think I would call them tacky. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:08:10 I guess it's circumstantial. Ramundo, how many does your venue hold? Right at 70. 70? Not a lot. Yeah. Yeah, we got one of my brother's coming. He's going to, he has two stepdaughters.
Starting point is 00:08:22 He's going to have to lap it with them. And they're not getting four seats. If kids, people have smaller kids, they pretty much have to put them on their lap. 70 people 35 each yeah we'll split it right down the middle baby she's giving me mine I have a pretty decent size family again
Starting point is 00:08:39 they're from Michigan so and she's got people I'm telling you they're a mile down the road that aren't even to be able to come what's the day to your bachelor party again bachelor party whatever is it still fluid but we're shooting for this summer oh that's why I don't have to my calendar then okay yeah because I was looking I was like I'm trying to find the date so I can because I have to schedule things out a couple months ahead so as soon as you know let me know
Starting point is 00:08:58 We're thinking July, but yeah, we got to check with some other people as well. But yeah, your schedule is honestly probably paramount. Because we work around your schedule. So we'll make it work. But hey, dude, if you don't want to do Vegas with the boys. Vegas, I think they said Tunica. We switched it up. Oh.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Yeah. Yes. Yes. I'm telling you, it just hit me all of a sudden this weekend and I was like, we can't do Tunica. Are you absolutely sure you're not doing Tunica? Correct. 100%. I already told Eric Dodd.
Starting point is 00:09:23 I said, cancel it, scrap it all. We're not doing Tunica. Billy already booked a flight. I'm going to have to tell him about that and cancel it. Well, I was thinking about running a tour bus. Oh, let's go to Tunica. But that's all right. We'll do Vegas.
Starting point is 00:09:34 I just got so many messages. People said, hey, there's two casinos in Tunica and there's no night life. You guys are going to be bored off your butts. You're probably right. But I was going to get a tour bus for everybody to be in. That's all right. That would have been disgusting. I know.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Hey, welcome to life. We can tour bus to Vegas. Not disgusting. It'd be awesome. No, like, awesome. Oh, I don't understand those terms. I like sick. That's gross.
Starting point is 00:09:54 Legit. But I really mean cool. What? Just say it's. Why are you guys, hey, old people. Yes. Relax. No, we're trying to understand.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Yeah, we don't get it. No, your tone went to automatically being rude. Oh, I thought he'd literally been disgusting. No. Like, oh. Ray, I got you. Yeah. That's horrific.
Starting point is 00:10:11 I mean, awesome. It's like just the opposite of all these words. When did you turn into your dad? What year do you think you turned into your dad? Am I really? Between you and Morgan number two just reminding me that I'm old all the time. No. It's not about age.
Starting point is 00:10:28 it's about action. Maybe it's just because I don't leave. Yeah, you can stay hip. I don't leave the house, man. Like, I just got a bunch of kids and me and my wife. That's okay, but don't argue about people who do. I don't leave the house much. No one has a problem with how you feel about things.
Starting point is 00:10:42 It's whenever it's things that you don't like, you're extra vocal about because you're just not involved in it. Bones, they're using the opposite of what we were taught these words meant. But it doesn't matter. But people who say, man, that's so bad. They said, like, they used to do that back in the 80s. Good call. Like, it's not new.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Because I'm bad. I know. Yeah, Michael Jackson. No. Okay. But yeah, but Michael Jackson had a big song. But bad meant good. So it's not a new thing.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Okay. It's just new that you're old. Okay, fine, whatever. Speaking of older, Leonardo DiCaprio is in the news because he sat on the front row last night with his girlfriend. He's 22. Now, DiCaprio is 45. His girlfriend is 22. Do we care?
Starting point is 00:11:25 I just expect it. I mean, I'm not surprised. But even then, just the age difference of a dude 45 and a girl 22. Is it that big of a deal? No. If it was you, yes. I'm not 45, 39. Wow.
Starting point is 00:11:40 What's wrong with, yeah, what's wrong with me? I was saying when you are 45, if you start dating a 22-year-old, yes, I will tell you that. I don't think I could do that, yes. Okay, I'm just saying, if that were to be the scenario, weird. Leonardo DiCaprio or any other famous person that typically date young people, it's just another day. Do you think he's connecting with him? I think that he probably, I think you mature to the age you have to mature to.
Starting point is 00:12:03 I think most of the rule is, they say in Hollywood, is that you mature to the age when you got famous. Because once you get famous and people start giving you things, you kind of don't have to grow up. So there's kind of a limit you hit in your maturation process. So he's probably just like 20, hanging out, chilling. He probably got famous early though. He was really early. So he's probably dating over, like he's dating a cougar right now.
Starting point is 00:12:27 Wow. Crazy. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, people were giving me crap on TikTok because my girlfriend's 28. I don't feel like that's a deal at all. No, that's fine. It's not even fine.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Like, it's not even a thing. After like 25, 26, I was like, all fair game. Right? I think so. It's different for different people, but for you, yes, that works. Once they're out of high school, it's all good. That would not work. Some people were like, is she 19?
Starting point is 00:12:55 So what if she was? No, no, no. There's a big difference. That would be weird. There's a big difference there. Do you say that in front of your wife? Yeah, I'll tell her that. She doesn't care.
Starting point is 00:13:07 That's wrong with you. Do you talk about hot girls in front of your wife? Yeah. Be like, man, we'll watch The Bachelorette or Bachelor and I'll be like, man, that girl's hot. And she's like, oh, I think she's real pretty. But do you do what you do here, like a mm-mm, like, yummy. I'll say, mm, that one's good looking. That one.
Starting point is 00:13:22 That one's. Well, because I can't, there's a lot of girls on the show, so it's hard to remember all their names, but now we're down to six. so I'm getting their names. It's already down to six? Yeah. How's pilot Pete been as a bachelor? I'm going to be honest. I think this has been the worst season.
Starting point is 00:13:34 He's just so boring and just kind of blah. Like I don't, I have not enjoyed it, but I've powered through and I keep watching, but he is not very good. Are the girls so good, though, that it makes up for him? Yes, there's been some good drama
Starting point is 00:13:47 between the girls, you know, like pageant queens fighting because they're rival pageant queens and one's hamming it up for the camera and she got sent home twice. It's great. So you love the show. I love the show.
Starting point is 00:13:59 I can't wait for tonight. Finally, Ramundo, if you have me with this clip of Ryan Cabrera, he is dating WWE women's wrestler Alexa Bliss. Googling. Was he married to Ashley Simpson or just dated? Maybe they were married. TMZ said the singer and wrestler first met back in October at the Smackdown on Fox premiere with Ryan's buddy the Miz playing matchmaker.
Starting point is 00:14:27 She's pretty. Imagine. Yeah, she is. Yeah, imagine. The Miz from real world back to New York. So you guys know. She's pretty, huh? Oh, look at that.
Starting point is 00:14:38 She sure is. What do you know? Who would have thought? Ryan Cabrera. Look at him. I don't even know what he looks like. Yeah, you do. If you Google him.
Starting point is 00:14:45 You'll be like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that guy. I remember him in Ashley Simpson. Did you all see that Cindy Crawford's 20-year-old son? Yeah, he got a tattoo on his face? Yeah. Was it a misunderstood or something? Yes. Face tattoo?
Starting point is 00:14:58 Under his eye. Right there. That's because of Malone, right? Listen, everyone, you're not post Malone. I saw a guy. I saw a guy this weekend with a face tattoo. And I just want to be like, hey, man. You're not.
Starting point is 00:15:09 You're like, you have to go to work at jobs. Like, unless you're just automatically, when you get a face tattoo, you're saying, I'm going to do something in creative or nothing. That's right. That's it. I'm not going to go work at the bank. They're not going to hire you.
Starting point is 00:15:21 Also, that post Malone commercial, where he goes in to get the bud light, and then he has the conflict about the Bud Light Seltzer. It is hilarious. Yeah, doing the different things. Yeah, where they start, like, inside his brain, they start throwing him around the store and he, oh, it's really good. What, Amy?
Starting point is 00:15:36 Cindy Crawford's son is, he's, he's 19, so, or 20-ish. You're going to say he's gorgeous. Oh, my goodness. But he's gorgeous. Gerber, his sister's hot. How old is she? He's very pretty, like he looks like they're just a beautiful family, and now he straight up has misunderstood tattooed on his face.
Starting point is 00:15:54 Bones and I saw her. His neck tattoos, too. We saw Cindy Crawford. Did you meet her? Yeah, quickly. We were backstage at... Stage coached. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:03 We had played, and then we went back to watch Thomas Shrette play, and she was backstage. She's still very beautiful. Yeah. It was one of those things where she walked by and just like, is that, wow. Like, she still looks really good. People get face tattoos if they have way too much money and nothing to do. Or no money and nothing to do. Or no money and nothing to do.
Starting point is 00:16:26 One of the two. This boils down to... But you know what? Maybe we have misunderstood. And Cindy Crofter's daughter is 18. Yeah, they're both really attractive kids. They got lucky. What's her name, Gerber? K-Guber.
Starting point is 00:16:43 Yes, K-A-I-A. I don't know how you say that. They're both. You know how some people that when their parents are super hot, they are not? Yeah. And it's like you can tell that God tried. Yeah. But you didn't quite get it.
Starting point is 00:16:57 I'm talking about business. That's funny. That's real funny. Like, guys tried real hard. Stop that. He must have gotten distracted by something. Stop.
Starting point is 00:17:05 Like the cat ran by or something. No. There must have been a good Netflix show on when he was made. But my point is, he nailed it with these two. Like made him right after the mall, like super hot, both of them. Yeah, she's very pretty. Kyra Jordan. Got had like an eyelash in his eye or something.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Something just a little distracted. Yeah, something just distracted. All right, that's the deal. Here is Monday show. enjoy it and I'm on Instagram Mr. Bobby Bones you can check out

That's true. And so I would be funny with that term. But now I think it's kind of a thing, right?
Starting point is 00:23:02 Yeah. Is this what's called a benchmark now? Yeah. Are we committed to it? I'm in. Okay. By the way, if you're listening right now, tweet or Instagram and let me know what you think of what's the haps. Do you look forward to it or are you annoyed by it? Because it just started as a way for us to come on and talk about what had happened with us on the day before. So, let's do what's the haps. Hey! Hey! What's the Haps? Well, I don't consider myself a super. super handy guy, like building stuff around the house, but I do consider myself a guy who can build something if I need to build something for a reason. So what I did is I constructed this light on the top of my bed so I could read. Because my bed frame doesn't have a place where you can hook a lamp to it. So I got a clamp at Home Depot, and I clamped and I taped and I had it all,
Starting point is 00:23:50 and I do this thing. And it's like that the rat race game, that maze game. And it was just like, and I showed it to Amy and she's like, wow, It's pretty nutty. And then her sister was with her, and she goes, why don't you just put a headlamp on, like when you go camping and read your book? And I was like, oh, my goodness, why? After all that. After all that.
Starting point is 00:24:08 I spent about two days, like, finding the little tools and finding the right clamp, and I built it and it was working. And then now, after all this, I'm just going to wear a headlamp. It's kind of nerdy, but my father-in-law gave me a cap that has a light on it at the very end of the bill. That kind of works, too. I just like to read in bed, and I was trying to find a good light to go right over my book and I spent a lot of time and then it was the simplest put on a little strap. That's funny. Yeah. And I felt so dumb I wanted to get defensive. But I was like, no, no, but I, no, but I, no, you're right.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's been my latest project. Hey. Hey, what's the hat? Amy? So my kids, I don't know, for like several days last week and then all weekend, they are determined to find this cat that's missing in our neighborhood because the reward is $500. A cat, huh? Yeah. And they put a, they were, went in our neighborhood, we're putting, taping brochure flyers
Starting point is 00:25:03 on the doors. And we had one, and the kids saw it, and they were like, $500. They, like, don't really ever like to go, like, if I have to go to the grocery store in the neighborhood, or go to the drugstore, anywhere, like, they're not always into that, and they want to go everywhere. They're like, I'll go, I'll go. And then they have the window
Starting point is 00:25:19 down, they're like, here, kitty, kitty, kitty. Like, they want to find this cat, which I guess is good for these owners. I mean, I'm sad they lost their cat. Obviously, the cat means a lot. It looks super, it's a cute cat, but my kids are bound to determine to find it. That's funny. Keep us updated.
Starting point is 00:25:34 I will. Hey, what's the hat? Lunchbox. Oh, it was a big weekend for the wife and I. We went and we bought newborn diapers. We bought some new clothes. We got everything. We packed a hospital bag, so it's by the front door because the baby comes in about
Starting point is 00:25:49 three weeks or less. So we are prepared. Diipers are set up, changing stuff. everything's ready to go and it's pretty crazy. Less nervous about this time? A lot less nervous because at least we are prepared. The first one came six weeks early and we had no diapers. We didn't even have a car seat.
Starting point is 00:26:06 So we put the car seat in the car this weekend. So we're ready to go. So a lot less nervous. Nice. Hey. Hey. Hey. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:26:15 I think the time has come. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I think I'm getting rid of cable. Oh, you can cut it, huh? I just got the fire stick this weekend. I don't know what that is. It's just something. that, you know, it's like got all the apps. It was also my nickname in college.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Okay, stop. What's up? Oh, boy. Oh, boy. It's pretty funny. It's got all the apps on it. You plug it into your TV and it's got Netflix, Hulu, everything on it, basically what my cable package would have. And so my son ordered it and I like it.
Starting point is 00:26:44 And the big deal breaker for me was like if it doesn't have the old movie channel, because sports and the old movie channel is the only reason I have cable. Yeah. It has the old movie channel. So it's called Amazon Fire. our TV stick. Yeah. And Hulu.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Amy says, she's had Hulu for a while that has live sports. Yeah, because we have Hulu Live. I don't know if your stick comes with that, but... Yeah, it does. Okay. So I think I'm going to give it a couple more days,
Starting point is 00:27:08 try it out, but I might just be getting rid of cables. Cable's so expensive. It really is. I was looking at a chart yesterday of all the cable cord cutting and people... And I don't... The only things I'm watching cable are sports and...
Starting point is 00:27:22 I guess I can watch news. But I watch new Amazon, now I can watch news. I can watch CNN on Amazon. Really, sports is the deal breaker. And like you said the other day, too, you really can find any game anywhere by streaming it. Even that circle network, which is Morgan number two, remember talking about that? Circle Network. It's from here at the Grand Alopery, a lot of like Middle America shows.
Starting point is 00:27:44 Like that's on Amazon. It's an app. It's a network on an app. That's what I'm talking about. Which is crazy. Yeah. It's all there, man. So I'm looking forward to saving a lot of money if this thing happens.
Starting point is 00:27:53 I'm going to have to do it. point too, right? I mean, yeah, we've done it. I don't miss it at all. It's fine. I feel like I don't miss out on anything. I just watched the office so much and Netflix so much that I don't think I would miss much either except for the sports. All right, hey, there you go. Thank you. Hey, what's the hat? Someone told me on Twitter the other day, they said, you know how that's what she said was the thing on the office? She goes, the new version of that's what she said is, that's what my nickname was in college. They were like, that's, for me. That's sure, that's what she said. says. Okay. That was my nickname of college.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Yeah. I've been saying it for a while. Probably safer to say that one too, then that's what she said. What do you mean? That's what she said just doesn't work anymore. You can't do that anymore. It's still works. Especially in office situations. Well, you probably shouldn't say my name in college too. It says, too, if it says fire stick. That's true. Good point. Yeah. I mean. I thought that was a funny analogy. They're like, that's what she says. When you say, that was my nickname of college. Here's the Bobby Bone Show podcast. Highlight segment of the day. All right, it's time for a Bobby Bone Show draft where today we will do the Disney draft.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Also, full disclosure, I work for Disney as well. ABC is Disney products. I'm probably a little too close to these characters. You probably... Do you hang out with all these guys? You know, I did spend some time with Mickey last week at the Disney Alani Hotel. We were shooting American Idol.
Starting point is 00:29:11 I have the first pick. And with the first pick, I will go with All Faithful. Spent some time with them two weeks ago. Oh, wow. Your buddy. My buddy, Mickey Mouse. There is. All right, Amy.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Okay, I'm going to just go with Cinderella. Ooh. Yeah. Wow. Is Donald Duck? Yeah, dude. It's Disney, right? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:29:33 Okay. Wow. Lunchbox? Well, my wife said she used to try to be this person when she was a kid, and it's the little mermaid. Her name is Ariel. Solid. Eddie? I'm going to go, my number one pick, Elsa from Frozen.
Starting point is 00:29:48 Ooh. Yeah. Eight-year-olds aren't voting. Wow, that's a strong one. Thank you. Frozen's a huge Disney movie. I mean, one of the tops. I didn't even have Elsa on my list.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Yeah, it's oldspin. Oh, Mickey Mouse. Any Morgan number two? I'm going to go with Woody from Toy Story. Good one. Okay, so we have in the first round, Mickey Mouse to Bobby, Cinderella to Amy, Ariel, the Little Mermaid to Lunchbox,
Starting point is 00:30:19 Elsa, from Frozen to Eddie. And then Woody goes to Morgan number two. All right, so the second round, we go backward. For voting, are they just the names, or they written out what movie they're from? It should just be the names. We're not going to have enough space to put the movies as well. Right, Morgan number two?
Starting point is 00:30:35 Correct, yeah. Okay. Morgan number two, you have the first pick of the second round since you were last in the first round. Go ahead. I'm going to go with another old one. I'm going to go with Donald Duck. Oh, good.
Starting point is 00:30:50 Can you steal that from you, Bones? No, I just was, I get mixed up sometimes on Looney Tunes and Disney. Honestly. Understandable, I guess. Yeah. Eddie, you're up here again? Let's see here. Between two right now, but I think under pressure, I'm going to go for Nemo.
Starting point is 00:31:09 Mm. A little clownfish, finding Nemo. Where's the pressure coming from? Because the one I was going in between was really good. Okay, well, don't. I'm not saying it. Save it for your third. By the way, Scuba Steve, our executive producer, is in a referee uniform.
Starting point is 00:31:25 there's any controversial pick. Correct, yes. A whistle, and I have a flag today. Oh, so what's the difference in the whistle on the flag? Well, you throw it at the same time. The flag is a visual to show these guys. Hey, you did it wrong. And the whistle is for the audience.
Starting point is 00:31:38 But you have a mic on, so who's going to pick up the flag now that you threw it? Okay, lunchbox. Your second round pick, you have Ariel. Who else you drafted? Oh, yeah, this one I almost went first round, but he's still sitting here. I'm taking Simba. Oh, man, I forgot. Dude, that was my next.
Starting point is 00:31:53 Amy? Winnie the Pooh. I guess she must have looked it up. It's Winnie the Pooh. I looked it up. Oh, yeah. That's Disney for sure, yeah. 100%. There's a ride at Disneyland and Disney World.
Starting point is 00:32:07 That is a good pick. Oh. No flag on the play here. Thank you. Geez, Bobby. I didn't know. Relax. I can't even get a...
Starting point is 00:32:16 That's a good pick. I didn't know if it was even Disney. But it's still good. Because Winnie the Pooh, the books weren't written our Disney books. Correct. But I think Disney acquired them and made them into a movie.
Starting point is 00:32:26 I was a business acquisition. Wow. How Disney is that even if it's a business acquisition? Hmm. I'm up. I think I'm going to go with, oh, I got a good one, but I think I can get in the third round.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Well, yeah, because you pick again. I know, but I don't want. I'm back to back, I'd rather have it as my third looking at my list of my second as my point. That makes sense. Yeah, my point. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:55 I'm going to go with Aladdin. That was it. That was it. It's my second pick. And so that'll wrap up the second round. Oh, there's a difference when you look at the list who's sitting second and third. All right. I have a Mickey Mouse and Aladdin.
Starting point is 00:33:10 Amy has Cinderella and Wendy the Pooh. Lunchbox has Ariel and Simba. Eddie has Elsa and Nemo. Morgan number two has Woody and Donald Duck. My question here is, do I go with Iron Man? Yeah, Disney. Because Marvel owns Disney. Can I do that?
Starting point is 00:33:33 You could. Yeah, Disney bought them in 2009, so I think that. will be okay. Wow. Ref knows all this stuff. How do you know this? He researched for this more than we did on the bid. I'm going to go with Baby Yoda as my third round pick.
Starting point is 00:33:49 You suck. Yeah, baby Yoda. So I have Mickey Mouse, Aladdin, and Baby Yoda. Amy? Also, Iron Man's an option? Yeah. Take it if you want it. That's my favorite superhero movie, but I just didn't see it as a character.
Starting point is 00:34:05 either thinking now, Iron Man or Pinocchio. Oh, Pinocchio. I feel like I need to stay with the character thing, like the cartoonie. So I'm going to go Pinocchio. All right. Lunchbox, final pick? Oh, man. My mom told me that women love this person, and I'm going Tinkerbell.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Interesting. Eddie? We took my Aladdin and my baby Yoda. So I'm left with just... I'm going to have to go to my favorite. favorite Disney character of all time. Goofy. Garsh.
Starting point is 00:34:39 That's a good one. Yeah. And Morgan number two, your final pick? I think I got to go with a Disney princess. I'm going to go with Mulan. I haven't seen it, so I don't know. Is she a princess? She's considered in that realm, but that's not her
Starting point is 00:34:59 like, she's not wearing the dresses. She's a warrior. Does she kill people? Kind of, yeah. Oh, cool. I may need to watch that. They're making a new. We make is coming out this year.
Starting point is 00:35:09 All right, there are our teams that have Mickey Mouse, Aladdin, and Baby Yoda. Amy, who's on your team? Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, and Pinocchio. Lunchbox? Ariel, Simba, and Tinkerbell. Eddie? Elsa from Frozen, Nemo, and Gorge Goofy. All right, we get it.
Starting point is 00:35:26 You do the impression you do. Okay, Yoda. Morgan number two. I have Woody, Donald Duck, and Moulon. Okay. You can go vote on the team. It's not just one pick, but you can vote on the team that you like the best. Bobbybones.com in the next five to seven minutes, it'll be up there.
Starting point is 00:35:48 Be up there at will. On the list, it will. Okay. We good on that? We feel pretty good, comfortable? Yeah. Bobbybones.com. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

In health news, the coronavirus death toll has hit 811. The virus has now claimed more lives than the 2003 SARS outbreak. In New York, a career criminal who was on parole shot two cops in separate incidents over the weekend.
Starting point is 00:39:54 He's been arrested and is off the streets now. And finally in weather news, tornadoes, high winds, and days of torrential rain hit this weekend in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia. States of emergency have been declared. It's a Bobby Bones show. Jason in North Carolina is on the show. Hey, Jason, what's happening with you? Morning studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:40:16 First off, lunchbox, you're awesome, buddy. Appreciate it. Secondly, I can't remember if it's several months ago or maybe a year ago, Amy was doing the no snoo. challenge and was just curious to know if she was still hitting that or if she's still continuing to not snooze. Well, so what the bit was on the air was, hey, can you go a week, two weeks without hitting snooze? And you did the challenge. Yeah, you had a listener partner up with me as an accountability partner.
Starting point is 00:40:44 And we powered through. I don't know about the listener, but I am successfully no longer a snoozer and life is so much better. I make my bed every day and I do not snooze and I love life. How long ago it was a challenge? Probably a year longer. You haven't snoozed in a year? I haven't snoozed and I make my bed.
Starting point is 00:41:03 That's crazy. If I don't make, there's been a few times where I haven't made my bed. And when I get home from work, it drives me so crazy, I have to go make my bed. And I never had time to make my bed in the morning because I was always snoozing. And I just feel better. Why did I ever snooze? I used to purposefully set my alarm at night with enough time to snooze five times. And that was insane to me because you were just wasting time.
Starting point is 00:41:26 You weren't getting through with many things in your day. I agree, but I thought I loved that feeling. I thought, but I didn't know. I was like, you be so much more efficient. I didn't know what I didn't know. I just thought there was two kinds of people in the world, but really there should be one kind. August 21st of 2018, Amy said,
Starting point is 00:41:40 tomorrow I start my new life, no more snoozing. A listener named Jessica is my accountability partner. Hashtag you snooze, you lose. August 21st, 2018. Wow. And here we are over a year. Come on, come on. What's my first sentence tomorrow I what?
Starting point is 00:41:56 Start a new life. And that's how I feel. Wow. That's what I just said. I feel like my life is new. It's, if you snooze. Oh, boy. I mean, give it a try.
Starting point is 00:42:08 Just try not snoozing because I promise you. How do you feel about that? Oh, I love it. I think it's great that she's continuing to, um, my wife's a big snoozer and I get on to her all the time. Play her this club back on the podcast. Tell her. Tell her from one snoozer to another. Life is too short.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Oh, my good. Now Amy all the sudden. giving TED talks on snoozing. You can, it's so impactful. You don't realize how much it affects your. That's why I was like, why are you? But stop, but you can't experience this. You can't speak on behalf of snoozers because you never snoozed.
Starting point is 00:42:39 I've snoosed. Not chronically. Back in the day when I would snooze, but what I would notice about snoozing is I was always losing. So I stopped. All right. Hey, Jason. Thank you, bud. Appreciate it, guys.
Starting point is 00:42:52 See you later. Good luck. I do want to do another update on producer Eddie, our video producer. you know, we gave him the challenge of reading 15 minutes a night. Eddie wanted to be a new reader at the beginning of this year. And I said, well, don't just jump into a book and be like, I must read the whole book. Like, just gently walk through. And 15 minutes a night and you finish your book.
Starting point is 00:43:10 I finally finished my book. I cannot believe it. Do we have a song for this? Ladies gentlemen for Eddie, here we go. Nice job. Because that's how I feel, Amy. I'm kind of like Amy's boat, too. Like, I knew life.
Starting point is 00:43:24 Yeah. Because now I'm done with a book and I'm like, well, what do I read next? Nice. love the idea of reading before bed 15 minutes a night. It actually makes me a little tired. So it may make me sleep better. So I'm really looking forward to the next book. And it's better than looking at
Starting point is 00:43:38 a TV screen. Yeah. Eddie's read one book in how long? It took me about three weeks. No, no, no, but... When's the last time you read a book? Oh, gosh. Your first book, Bare Bones. When was that? Okay. When did you released that one? Five years ago. First book in five years. Well, now, Eddie, I got a note here that Eddie wants to start a book club after one book.
Starting point is 00:43:54 Hey, pumped the brakes there. Like Oprah. Yeah, yeah, you pumped the brakes. Get a few books in and we'll talk about it. Okay, all right. That's funny. I'll join. Hey, there's your update though. Nice work.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Producer already read a book. Thank you. What would you tell people? Amy, just told people about snoozing. What would you tell people about reading? Guys, you want to just educate yourself and fill your mind with a bunch of good words and a better way to speak? Read books. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:16 Well, my advice would be it just takes a little bit. Oh. Because I think people know that part, but I think people are intimidated by a big, fat book. Yeah. Mine was 300 pages and like that. It's just read just a little bit of night. 15 minutes a night. Yep.
Starting point is 00:44:28 Completely change it. Or like Eddie said, read a bunch of words. I do feel a lot smarter, though. You want to fill your mind with words? It's a Bobby Bones show. Time for Amy. First is Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:44:39 Amy gets dude questions. Lunchbox gets girl questions. Let's play the game. Lunchbox, you're up first. Callia. C-A-L-I-A. Calia. Calia.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Kahlia. Thank you. Kalea is an athletic line by what celebrity? Kalea is an athletic line by what celebrity? I know that's a handwriting. Calligraphy. No, when you go to the drop-down, there's options, and one of them is Kalea, I think. A font.
Starting point is 00:45:16 A font. That's what I'm talking about. I'll just go with a C-name, Carrie Underwood. There he is. All right, one down. Number two. Lunchbox. What is Scary Spice's real name?
Starting point is 00:45:33 Scary Spice. One of the Spice girls. What is her other name? Scary Spice. Um, um, she had a kid with Eddie Murphy. Jennifer Jackson. Oh, Jennifer Jackson. Incorrect.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Scary Spice, Amy. You can steal this. No, okay. Mallory, Mindy, Mena. My clothes. Oh, shoot. Three seconds? What is it? You almost got it.
Starting point is 00:46:14 It's Mel B. Mel B. I knew there was like an M and I couldn't. That's so frustrating. Golly. Lunchbox. What does the K and K beauty stand for? What does the K and K beauty stand for?
Starting point is 00:46:33 K, K, K, A, Y. What does the K? K and K beauty stand for? I mean, Mary K, K, K, Y. I don't, the name, K. Answer, please? K. Amy, what does the K and K beauty stand for?
Starting point is 00:46:52 I don't even know what K beauty is, but I'll go with Kardashian. Incorrect. K beauty, K-pop, K-K-pop, K-any-any-thing, anything, it's Korean. That's right, Korean. Lunchbox, one point after his round. Let's go over to Amy. Here we go. It was hard.
Starting point is 00:47:07 Amy. Yeah. How many yards to get a first down in football? Boy, she's struggling with this one. You just saw a football game recently. I know. We're just a week and a day out from the Super Bowl. Big game.
Starting point is 00:47:25 How many yards to get a first down in football? Ten? I'm so surprised you didn't know that. Why? Why? Why are he surprised? Seriously, why? Because it's a pretty common thing, even for non-sports fans. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Well, you're under pressure. Sometimes things are a little more difficult. Amy, what pressure is this? You do this every week. What pressure is this? Anheuser-Busch's headquarters is in what city? Anheuser-Bush, their headquarters is in what city? Probably.
Starting point is 00:47:58 It's either like Denver or Colorado Springs. I think, I don't know. Probably not even that. But I'll go with Denver. Is it Colorado's dreams? Anheuser-Bush lunchboxes in what city? St. Louis. Correct.
Starting point is 00:48:19 Oh, is it Coors? Who has the mountains on the bottle? Coors. Oh, shoot. Amy. Penguins? Blackhawks. Maple Leafs are all teams in what sports?
Starting point is 00:48:33 Hockey. Oh, nice. What's up? Dang. That one I knew. We have a tie. Right, we have a time. Let's go back over to lunchbox questions.
Starting point is 00:48:42 You'll get one question each for the tiebreaker and then we'll move on. And then we'll be done. The movie Crazy Rich Asians, in what country was that movie set? Crazy Rich Asians. Do you ever see it? Yeah, I watched it. That was very highly overrated.
Starting point is 00:48:58 Crazy rich Asians. You've seen it. Yeah, I've seen it. I've watched it. What movie was it set? What country did they go to? Oh, this is bad. Japan.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Japan. Incorrect. Amy, I'm coming to you. You can steal this. Crazy rich Asians. What's in what country? China? Oh, man. Okay, what is it? Singapore. Okay. Amy, you can win this with this answer. How many points is a penalty shot worth in basketball? How many points is a penalty shot worth in basketball? That's different than a free throw?
Starting point is 00:49:47 How many points is a penalty shot worth in basketball? Okay, I feel like if you get penalty, you go take it to the free throw line and you shoot one and it's one point. Each free throw is one point. Yes. Try to get you with the trick words. Yeah, I was like, what? That's a free throw. There she is.
Starting point is 00:50:05 The winner. Wow. Which makes the score, 9 to 6. Your one went away from the championship, Amy. A close shot next week. What are you going to say? I forgot. I was in the lead.
Starting point is 00:50:21 What would you like to say? All the people out there that didn't think you could be in the league. Thank you for believing in me. You're welcome. You're welcome. Absolutely. I'm not good at much, but I'm God I'm getting good at this. There you go.
Starting point is 00:50:32 All right, thank you guys. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. Florida Georgia Line teased on social media that they will be dropping a country remix of Justin Bieber's song, Yummy, on February 19th. Miranda Lambert brought out her high school's chorus on stage with her to perform 10-man while in Dallas for a show.
Starting point is 00:50:53 She shared the moment on her Instagram, thanking them for the special time. Jason Aldine and Florida Georgia Line collaborated together on a bourbon whiskey. It's called Wolf Moon Bourbon, and it's described as a caramel, sweet corn, honey, and candied fruit balance with hints of oak and spice. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinning. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:51:18 Timothy is a nine-year-old kid hanging out at a family barbecue when he notices five-year-old cousin Connor choking on a lifesaver. And Timothy's like, man, I've watched YouTube videos on the Heimlich. I know how to do that. He goes over to Connor. Out comes a lifesaver. Dang. Do you kids learn anything on YouTube? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:38 Music videos. I mean, I use YouTube, but no, they haven't learned anything yet that I know of. I wonder if that's a thing to make your kids watch YouTube videos where they could learn something in between all the videos where they're just watching bull crap. Yeah. Like, hey, if you want to watch this music video, you got to make sure you get to. in your learning video. Now we're finding ways to make YouTube less fun.
Starting point is 00:51:58 Oh, I already do that. Oh, yeah? Yeah. That's a good story, Lunchbox. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobid Bones Show. Bonehead.
Starting point is 00:52:07 This story comes up to day. This story comes up to us from Missoula, Montana. A man went to the ATM machine trying to get money out. Guess he entered the wrong pin and the ATM ate his card. And he was like, well, I am upset. He went home, built a pipe bomb, came back and blew up the ATM. What? Whoa.
Starting point is 00:52:23 It wasn't expecting that twist I thought maybe he'd go home and write a letter to his senator or something He went home and built a pipe bomb And blew it up Huh Interesting Wow Does he get charged with some sort of like terrorist thing?
Starting point is 00:52:43 Has to be right? You can't just blow stuff up No Wow All right, there you go I'm lunchbox, that's your bonehead story of the day Come on, Bobby I'd like to say good morning to everyone
Starting point is 00:53:02 Good morning Except this bridesmaid who stole the spotlight at her friend's wedding by announcing she was pregnant. Oh, wow. It started as they were getting ready. And then the bridesmaid made it a point to cradle her small baby bump during pictures. They were taking pictures.
Starting point is 00:53:19 That's hilarious. She does her hand. Bones, don't do this at Ramundo's wedding. Cradle my belly. Yeah. The bridesmaid then announced the news during her wedding speech. She gave a speech and said she was, Wow.
Starting point is 00:53:34 That's just not. It's very selfish. Yeah. Like, which is either they're selfish or they're just totally oblivious. The bride moved past it, but then during photos, she once again started to draw attention to her friend cradling her tiny bump instead of holding the flowers like she wanted her to. But the bridesmaid's biggest fo' paw came when it was time to give the speeches. The bride notes that while she didn't make the speech all about herself, she ended it by announcing. And I'm so excited to announce, as bride's best.
Starting point is 00:54:03 friend, I'd like her to be an honorary aunt to my baby who is due summer 2020. Oh. How so? Come on. Wow. That's kind of gross, huh? Meaning just an unsavory thing to do in that. Like, know the room.
Starting point is 00:54:16 Save it for later. For sure. Know the room. Ramundo, so your wedding's October 24th, and you did announce on last week's show that Eddie, lunchmox, and myself are three of your six groomsmen. Yep. Have you picked out the tuxedosos we're supposed to wear? Is it anything funny or fancy?
Starting point is 00:54:30 Not funny. We're going blue. my fiance picked that out but yeah I'll get you guys some details Ruffles? Yeah no I mean this is just This is traditional boys We're gonna look we're gonna like dang good Bolo's no that got denied
Starting point is 00:54:42 Are we wearing cowboy boots Dude I tried cowboy boots and bolo's and wedding planner said no Oh what's up with the wedding planner What do you guys doing with that? She's awesome She's my fiancee's cousin and she just helps out I think we're paying her maybe a little bit Some free stuff on the side but she's great She tells us what to do and bosses us around
Starting point is 00:54:59 Are you excited? Yes Is Bay more excited? She's very excited. She's got the Pinterest printout. She knows everything that we have to do week by week by week. So we're on schedule right now. Are you a little bit of groomsilla or not? I am groomsilla, yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Nice. So not even a little. He is nice. What are you most excited about for your October 24th wedding? I got to say, I believe it's maybe the pre-wedding or post-wedding. I get some sparkly coat I get to wear and just bring all the attention to me. And I'm down for that. My fiance said it's our day, so we get to do whatever we want.
Starting point is 00:55:30 Can I ask one question? Hit me. Will Garth be there? I don't know. Is he invited? That's a great question. Is he invited? Yeah, and he is very close with the family, so I would go out on a limb and say yes.
Starting point is 00:55:43 His daughter is a bridesman. Yeah, so, I mean, conflicting schedules, maybe, but I would say yes, he's going to be there. Is it going to be hard to be your day when Garth Brooks is there? Dude, Gar's there, you're there, Eddie, luncher there? I mean, I'm going to probably be in the biggest shadow ever, but also with my sparkly coat, I can pull it off. I'm looking at a picture of your sparkly coat now. It looks like something I was wearing on Dancing with the Stars. It is loud and in charge for sure.

Starting point is 00:59:54 My name is Jack. Listen, every morning on my long commute to work. I have a quick question. I've been dating a girl. For the last four months, everything is going great. My problem is, I don't know how much I should spend on her this Valentine's Day. I mean, should I buy her jewelry so early in the relationship? Or should I just take the flowers or a card or dinner?
Starting point is 01:00:11 If I buy her jewelry, am I saying I want to take a relationship with another. But what do I do? Signed, Jack. Say again, how long? Four months. Oh, long time. It's a pretty long time. Here's what I'll say.
Starting point is 01:00:23 I'll start with my story. by the way my girlfriend now we assigned an anniversary well she was like what's their anniversary just so I can put it in my book November 24th is our anniversary
Starting point is 01:00:34 oh wow so that would mean what I mean anniversary that's crazy that you're already talking anniversaries making sure you have that date
Starting point is 01:00:42 because you plan on being with her for her well if I wouldn't be with her if I didn't plan on being with her true as much as he plans that's true again she was like what would it be
Starting point is 01:00:51 so we went back to the calendar because I have everything in a calendar and I was like it would be November 24th at exactly 726 p.m. Wow. Wow, dude. That's awesome. So that's the, so November 24th, December 24th, January 24th. So I've only been in this thing for like two and a half months. But I think it depends on what dating means. Because we're not just dating. We're in a relationship. Right. Like we are. Yeah. For eighth grade sounding boyfriend girlfriend. You're steady. I think that's the definer more so than the four months. But at four months, if I'm that girl, I mean, I don't know if you've had the talk. Because, I mean, even y'all had to have the talk. Like, what are we doing?
Starting point is 01:01:30 Or are we dating other people? If you're not dating other people and it's been four months, then you can, you need to celebrate Valentine's Day. Go hard? Yeah. It's been two and a half months and you're going hard. By the way, Amy and Eddie, my girlfriend heard that segment you guys did last week where you're like, you're going too hard. And now she feels subconscious that she's not going hard. hard enough. And now she's like, what is it?
Starting point is 01:01:53 No, no. But then this is now the time that you clarify that girls don't have to really go hard for Valentine's Day for guys. Oh, I agree. That's right. It's definitely a girl holiday. Yeah, for sure. I mean, you can make it special. Quit giving the girls an out. Let him know that he is loved, but... Here we go. Are you ready? Yeah. The questions are,
Starting point is 01:02:10 how much do I spend on her for Valentine's Day? My answer is, is relative to how much you make. Exactly. It's different, so it's hard to put a number on it, but... Okay. Should I buy her jewelry? You can buy her something light. Really light and don't put it in a ring box. Yeah. If it's in a box, it needs to be a long rectangle. Don't even do a ring.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Like put it in a bicycle box. Yeah. Like when you put a big, one of those big tall boxes. Yeah. Don't wrap it. That way she's not confused and thinks it's a ring. I think you could get a necklace.
Starting point is 01:02:37 If you wanted to do something jewelry, a necklace or earrings. Or bracelet. Yeah, I don't. I would just stay far away from the ring and wrist in general at four months. I don't even know I'd go bracelet. Oh, wow. I would stay off of the arm.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Okay. Interesting. You just, you just, stay far far away from the head. You go more up the arm, the more important it is jewelry-wise. As you start creeping up the arm, that's how serious the relationship gets. Jewelry's okay as long as it's... You don't have to buy jewelry, though. No, not at all.
Starting point is 01:03:03 That's a crazy one. Stick to flowers, a card in dinner. My note is, just put effort in, make it look like you didn't put it all together a week before. And here we are. Valentine's Day's this week. So you have to make it look like you didn't send us an email the week of it and going, how do I help? Or what do I do?
Starting point is 01:03:19 So it needs to just look like you tried and cared. Like maybe write a poem. That's good. Well, you better give her something too. You get to go along with it. Like, just thought. Like, think of all the things that could be thoughtful and do that. But don't feel like you have to sign a dollar amount.
Starting point is 01:03:35 Take her to a nice dinner. Get her a nice gift. Tell her how much she means to you. And that's good. That's solid. If you cook or even if you don't cook, that could be even more romantic. Like, you don't even have to, because you're probably not going to get a reservation this late in the game.
Starting point is 01:03:48 So you could cook at home. but she could think that was your plan all along. So Jack, our final advice here is make it look like you knew what you were doing before you actually did, which is right now. Yeah. Jewelry's okay. Just don't touch the arm. And four months is a good time. You've been together four months.
Starting point is 01:04:04 That's when you should be celebrating hardcore Valentine's Day. You're together three or four years, you start to go, well, Valentine's Day is really not that big of a deal. We've been together a long time. We're not that splashy romantic. I'm in splashy romantic stage. you know that's what it's called so do it now
Starting point is 01:04:20 yeah yeah you're gonna be all the feels right now let's do Valentine's Mike D do even talk to you
Starting point is 01:04:25 about Valentine's Day at all you and your girlfriend live in different towns what's your deal we actually got to celebrate
Starting point is 01:04:30 this past weekend yeah oh you did yeah so you won't be on Valentine's Day we won't be see that's okay
Starting point is 01:04:36 though Valentine's Day should be any time of the year I agree I mean wait until you're here I've been
Starting point is 01:04:41 kind of withholding and I'll give you my story maybe tomorrow but I agree I just haven't told you what I did
Starting point is 01:04:48 yet. You know what I was doing, but anyway, we'll do that tomorrow. Okay. But you guys, what did you do? Yeah, I, like, made her, I, like, wrote our, like, love story as, like, a fictional story and gave it to her. Oh, my gosh. That's so Mike D and it's perfect.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Did you write it on hand, with your hand? I, like, typed it out, printed it out, like, really nice paper, and then gave it to her. Like a, like a script? Yeah. Oh, like a short story. Oh, my gosh. Pretty cool. In a land far, far away.
Starting point is 01:05:16 That's so cool. move to the left corner of the room. The camera rotates to show her. Is that what it was? Were there notes in it too? Yeah. That's cool. Did she like it?
Starting point is 01:05:26 Yeah. That's awesome. And you didn't propose, huh? No. Not at the end of the story. Well, yeah, it's like, the end of the story. It's like, and then she looks at Mike D. And then she looks at you and you're like, and you've got a ring in your hand.
Starting point is 01:05:37 Oh, that would have been perfect, Mike D. Yeah, yeah. Do the reboot. Okay. That'll be part two. All right. Okay. Listen, Jack, our advice is you're good.
Starting point is 01:05:46 Just put in some effort. You got it. months, there's really no pressure on this one. Just make her feel like you spent more time than you did, obviously. It's more about time and effort than money. There you go. And that's the mailbag. Close it up, Raymondine.
Starting point is 01:05:59 And that was Bobby's Mailbag. Morgan number two, if they want to send an email, what do they do? Mailbag at Bobbybones.com. All right, thank you. The Bobby Bones Show. Eddie came over to the house last night, and we did a Bobbycast, which is a music podcast I do for my house. We talked about despised bands that are actually very successful and why, for example, Nickelback.
Starting point is 01:06:22 Here you go. And we just kind of broke down why people don't like Nickelback. And I tell you, it's dumb. Nickelback's a fine band with a lot of hits. Who else do you think is on the list of bands that people give a hard time to? Creed. Yeah, exactly. Another one.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Here you go. But I don't know. Yeah, why? Because people are losers. And they just want to pick on somebody. Loved Creed back in the day. I don't love them now if they put out music now, but for the time it was exactly the opposite of what was happening,
Starting point is 01:06:55 and they had catchy songs. And also the one that I really had a problem with, because I still love them, they don't make new music now, but I still listen to them is this one right here. Lindbiscuit. Do you like Lin Biscuit back in the day? I mean, it's fine. Messed with Lindbisket?
Starting point is 01:07:14 Yeah, you can mess with Lynn Biscuit. It's good, yeah. So check out the latest Bobbycast. It's a music podcast that do from my house. Eddie and I last night talked to you, about all these bands that are despised, but actually very successful. Matchbox 20 was on the list, the Goo Goo Goo Dolls. He was just blown away at this.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Smash mouth, that I agree, can kind of agree with. But yeah, check it out. Check it up. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So last week I shared a story about how this PTA showed the Lion King as a fundraiser at the school. And they were just doing it to make money. Like a dad bought the DVD, didn't know there was anything wrong with it. Well, Disney's licensing company fined the PTA $250. And the CEO found out about it, and he sent them a note saying that he's sorry that their licensing company find them.
Starting point is 01:08:02 They have waived the fee. And he even said that he's personally going to donate to their fundraising initiative. What, he backed down. He knows it's not right. But also the big thing. I mean, I had no idea you couldn't show, like, if you're at the school, because I watched Disney movies at school, I didn't know you. really technically couldn't do it. The rule is if you buy it for single use, it's supposed to be like a single family use. You're not supposed to be able to show it. Otherwise, you'd buy it for a
Starting point is 01:08:28 movie theater. You're showing a movie theater to everyone. It's just to stop that from happening. Yeah. It's the same reason you can't buy a, like a UFC fight for $69 and then show it a sports bar. You have to pay the sports bar rate, which is like $500 or $600.000. Right. Right. Yeah. So I get it. Good for him. Good PR move by. Who was the CEO that did that? Was it Bob Oh, Bob Eisner I-G-E-R Oh Bob Iger
Starting point is 01:08:55 I'm gonna Well no he's the head head-head guy He's the biggest guy You never met with him? No, he won't take my meeting No, no no no Oh, you're our mentor on American Idol No, he doesn't even know who I am
Starting point is 01:09:04 All right, there you go All right, what else? Okay, so the winners last night at the Oscars Best Picture went to Parasite It's the first foreign film to win Best Picture And I thought I would never watch it
Starting point is 01:09:17 Because I don't want to read Subtitles the whole time But Mike D Mike D, come over to the microphone. Mike D said it was really good. It is amazing. And after about five minutes, you won't even notice the subtitles. It's really good.
Starting point is 01:09:29 That's so hard to say. Didn't Eddie tell you that about that Italian movie? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I noticed the subtitles the entire time. It ended up being good. I gave Eddie that. It really was a good movie because I was hating on it hard. But you noticed the subject.
Starting point is 01:09:43 What was the movie that you had to watch? I don't know. Life is beautiful. Life is beautiful. Did it win the Oscar? Yeah, I won a best movie. picture, I think, back in the day. It couldn't have, though.
Starting point is 01:09:52 This is the first foreign film. It did not want. Why do you just say stuff that is? Maybe it won, like, best subtitle. It was maybe nominated, but it did not win. Maybe it was nominated. So, parasites's good? Yeah, I think that's a great win.
Starting point is 01:10:04 Is it about a parasite? No, the family is, like, a parasite, so. Oh. And it's kind of black mirror-ish? Yeah, it's like, in the style of black mirror, like, not scary, but kind of suspenseful in that way. What are you guys looking at over there? It won Academy Award for Best Foreign Film.
Starting point is 01:10:22 Yeah. I'm sorry, not the best picture. I had a lot of just yelling out. Fake facts, man. Okay, I'll stop doing that. All right, what else, Amy? Best actress went to Renee Zelliger and Judy. Did you watch that?
Starting point is 01:10:33 That's like the only one I didn't see. Okay, and she played Judy Garland. All right, what else? Yeah, I want to see that. Best actor went to Joaquin Phoenix and the Joker. Yeah. We all expected that, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:42 And then Best Supporting Actor went to Brad Pitt. This is his second Oscar. I guess some people thought, yeah. Well, no, he had to do it. He never won it for acting ever. Oh, not. The second Oscar. Yeah, but the whole thing was he had never won an acting Oscar.
Starting point is 01:10:54 He had only won one for producing... What did he produce back to do you? 12 years of slave. Okay. And that was for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. And are you going to talk about this on movie mics, movie podcast? Yeah, I'm breaking down all the wins, yeah. Okay, subscribe to that, yes.
Starting point is 01:11:06 I know you love The Irishman on Netflix, which that was nominated for 10, had 10 nominations, and it didn't win anything. I watched both of both parts. One and two of the Irish, they were both excellent. Yeah, so. There's not two parts. It's three and a half hours. He broke it into.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Oh, I was like, I don't know that. So I don't want to be Eddie and be like, yeah. Like, I'm just like, okay. I'm not going to correct you. You're getting the reputation, Eddie, of the guy who just yells out fake things. It sounds right when you say it. I'm like, yeah, of course.
Starting point is 01:11:33 Why not? Well, wouldn't it win best picture? All right. Mike D. Thank you. Yeah. What else you got, Amy? So a study found what time you're your happiest throughout your work day.
Starting point is 01:11:40 And really the happiest moment of the day is at 3.25 p.m. For whatever reason. but what I really pulled from this is like the little things throughout the day that make us the happiest. Well, no, I say that it's 3.25 p.m. because you're leaving work in an hour and a half. Oh, you're going to... Like, you're probably still getting a little bit of stuff done. It's probably somewhat productive as you're shutting it down and works almost over. That's what I would say. Rounding the corner.
Starting point is 01:12:04 What are the other little notes? Okay, so we love getting home after work. That's amazing. No crap. The best time of day. Number four is when your boss shows you some appreciation. That's like a high for people. And number three, the most...
Starting point is 01:12:16 moment you sit down in front of the TV at night, number two is eating a great dinner, and then the number one feeling throughout the day is if we can wake up after a great night's sleep. So those are some highs. That's not okay last night. Yeah? Yeah, it's up okay. That's good? I mean, I guess.
Starting point is 01:12:33 I always come in, it's two days for me. I always get a little, the two-day effect. Today isn't from last night's sleep. Today is from the night before that. Maybe when you get older. Because when I went and we shot American Idol far in Hawaii. It was far away from here. It was like a 12-hour flight.
Starting point is 01:12:49 It took me four days to get back to normal. Because I didn't sleep. We just flew back overnight. By the time Friday came last week, I was feeling pretty good. This week was over. My favorite part of the show? Going home. Just like that.
Starting point is 01:12:59 Another favorite moment. It wasn't in the top five, but is the moment you take off your work clothes, and I thought of you, because that's what you like to go home and just like start taking things off. Walk in the front door, take them all on. I'll leave a pile of clothes.
Starting point is 01:13:09 You can find where I am by following my track of clothes all the way to the bedroom. Yeah. Is that it? Yeah, maybe that's my pile. There you go. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 01:13:19 With Bobby. Tell me something good. A pair of stranger saved you guys live from a fire in Fair Haven, Massachusetts. Colleen Jackson was opening up her convenience store. It was early in the morning, and she saw flames, and her 83-year-old wheelchair-bound father was in the apartment upstairs at the same time she saw the flames. Fire chief Timothy Francis says two bystanders saw this. saw the fire, heard the screaming, ran up and pulled the wheelchair and the dad to safety before the firefighters got there.
Starting point is 01:13:51 Wow. That's crazy. Ron Rock and Butch Boer Parland were driving by and saw the fire, so they stopped to help and ended up saving a life. Ron Rock sounds like the perfect DJ name. Ron Rock here, it's 206. Mid to the workday, let's do a little bit of ACDC. Here they are, ballbreaker. I'm Ron Rock.
Starting point is 01:14:11 It's a good name. Dang. A quote definitely made a difference. People just jumping in there. Even though we don't advise you going into house fires, we appreciate it. They're very brave. Wow.
Starting point is 01:14:20 Ron Rock. It's two for Tuesday, Ron Rock. It's two for Tuesday, Ron Rock. Let's get the lead out. Led Zeppelin, two in a row. Okay, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 01:14:31 Bob it Bonesh. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 32nd Spinney. Florida Georgia Line teased on social media that they will be dropping a country remix of Justin Bieber's song, Yummy on February 19th. I don't know how I feel about this. You love that song, though.
Starting point is 01:14:48 I know, it's so good. What's that country remix mean? Are they just singing it? And is Justin, does that mean Justin's like a green-minded? I don't know. Do you know what it means? No, they just posted on social media of them in the studio working on the remix, but not really any details as to what that means.
Starting point is 01:15:05 I'm going to TBD this one. Well, they don't need to spoil my song. That's my song. That comes on. Oh, I'm sure that it'll be good, just a different version. We'll see how that goes. Spice it up. What else?
Starting point is 01:15:20 Miranda Lambert brought out her high school chorus on stage with her to perform her song, Tenman while she was back in her hometown, and she shared the moment on her Instagram, thanking them for all of it. Do we have a clip of this? No, there's no video yet. It's just a picture of them all on stage. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:15:34 What else? Jason Aldeen and Florida Georgia Line collaborated together on a bourbon whiskey. It's called Wolfman. Moon Bourbon, and it's described as caramel, sweet corn, honey, also mixed with oak and spice. So I've never had bourbon, but if you drink bourbon, do you taste all that stuff in it, Eddie? I mean, I don't really drink it, because that's like a manly man's drink it. They drink it straight. Like are on the rock.
Starting point is 01:15:56 But if they make something, like read all those ingredients again? It's caramel, sweet corn, honey, and candied fruit balanced with oak and spice. Would you taste that in a liquor? I mean, some liquors you would, I guess. Usually it's the aftertaste. You kind of like breathe out your nose after you drink it. You're like, there's the honey. Don't be fooled by that.
Starting point is 01:16:15 Those are the flavors that are in it. But wine often, I read wine and it's like, oh, it tastes like chocolate and raspberry. It's like, it tastes good. And I'm sure their bourbon tastes amazing, but it's still going to have an alcohol taste. Like, you're not going to just be able to like throw it on back because it's got all those. Description is. Bobby's like, this sounds like candy. All right.

Starting point is 01:20:37 about learning to ride a bike? The pavement. Hey, oh. Yeah. That was the morning corny. The Bobby Bone Show. Let's go to Kim in North Carolina. Kim, you're on the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:20:54 What's happening? Good morning. Morning. I was just wondering how Caitlin felt about all her new followers on Instagram. Yeah, it's a thing, huh? So, the girl, my girlfriend now. Not to be a girlfriend later, but I have a girlfriend. If you're new, I get in trouble doing that.
Starting point is 01:21:12 My girlfriend. My current girlfriend. My girlfriend. But if you're new to the show, we've been in almost a few months now. So she had her Instagram on private, but it turns out if you keep it on private and people request you, you can't find any of your requests if you have a lot of them. So she had like 10,000 back requests. And she was like, I can't find any of my friends that want to be my Instagram friends. So I was like, let's just do it public.
Starting point is 01:21:37 And so she turned it public. And people, for the most part, have been very nice to her. She didn't want to be public. but now she's public, just part of it. She had 400 followers. Whenever she turned it on, I just looked. She now has 40,000. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:21:56 Yeah, she has 41.8,000 in about three days. Yeah. She'll be okay with it. You know, we found a, there's a way that you can only let your friends comment because she was like, I just don't know if I'm ready for people to say mean things about me in my Instagram feed because I'm not doing anything public. So we found a way in the Instagram comments. to only allow your friends to comment.
Starting point is 01:22:18 Oh, wow. On hers. Okay. So, but she's good at the whole thing, the whole being public thing is so brand new to her. She doesn't have a job that's in the public. She's not an entertainment. So, yeah, it's definitely a bit uncomfortable, but not in a bad way, if that makes sense. It does.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Yeah. But she was here Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And I've always looked for someone to do TikToks with. Finally found somebody to do TikToks with. I know. They're like, this is the best ever. So we put them on my Instagram and my TikTok, Mr. Bobby Bones. And so I think two of the four nights, we just ate cereal for dinner and did TikToks and just did dance TikToks.
Starting point is 01:22:58 And so, but I got to say, she's pretty good dancer. I know. I was like, wait, what? Was she on cheerleading or drill team or anything in high school? Yes. Oh, wow. I was impressed. So, yeah.
Starting point is 01:23:10 I mean, I was too, but I still can't dance. Were you jealous that you know how somebody to do TikToks with? I have Stasira. But to do dances with, I've never seen you do dances with her. Oh, I don't, we don't post them. Stasheera says that, actually I think Stasheera put up one yesterday, maybe, and she titled it, My Mom Can't Dance. Oh.
Starting point is 01:23:27 Because she doesn't end up posting them because she's like, Mom, you need to work on this. Yes. But we do them like almost every day. I would say that she's okay with it. She's getting more okay with it. Kim, it's just new to her, you know? Well, she owned it. It was great.
Starting point is 01:23:41 Well, I think going from 400 to 40,000 to 40,000. Yeah. In the course of a few days was kind of a shock. But most people are nice And I can appreciate that And I told her that I said hey most of our Our listeners are the absolute best
Starting point is 01:23:53 But with like anything You always get a few bad apples And all it takes is the one or two That are bad that Because unfortunately that's what We can sometimes focus on And it makes you feel like Everybody feels that way
Starting point is 01:24:04 A great part of the weekend Because we spent four days together She just stayed at the house Was she was like hey I know we're spending four days together But we should probably have a loan time And I was like I could not
Starting point is 01:24:16 You could not have said anything harder. She's perfect for you. So she had work to do. She was working. She does sales. And so she was working and she was like, I'll just go over here in this room. And you go to your room. And I went and worked out.
Starting point is 01:24:26 And every day we had time where we just got our own crap done. It was the hottest thing ever. Yeah. Not going to lie. How is she with being on time? Not very good. Uh-oh. I'm just curious about that.
Starting point is 01:24:39 Because, I mean, you find that to be super hot for girls five minutes early. She's okay with being on time. It's not the worst ever. but she's actually, it's not a priority, you know. Me, it is, I give a everyday run, I give a rundown every day of my life. And so even with her, I'm like, okay, wake up. Here's the rundown for today. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:25:00 We're doing this, this, this, this. And so, and I time everything. It's just, I'm a weird person to date. So she does probably not as much as I would like, but I'm probably too much for her. Has, has lateness caused? any tension yet. No. It will.
Starting point is 01:25:18 Yeah. Because that's me. And then my husband is like you and then I'm like her and it just, it's inevitable. It's the worst.
Starting point is 01:25:27 I was talking to your husband yesterday, he hit me up. It was like, hey, can you talk later? Oh, y'all made an appointment to talk. By the way, speaking of times, I think my husband said something like, I got a call with Bobby at 3.30.
Starting point is 01:25:35 And I was like, 3.30. I'm like, why is this schedule? Are you talking business? So what happened? Why don't you just, no. Like, that's how scheduled Bobby's day
Starting point is 01:25:44 is on a Sunday. call it 3.30. Well, Amy's husband goes, hey, can you talk? And it was like noon and I had some stuff to do. And I wasn't near my phone. And I said, hey, I can talk at 3.30. And he said, cool. So he loved that too.
Starting point is 01:25:55 So he loves it too. So I hit him back at like 2 o'clock and said, hey, I'm going to be a few minutes late on this call. I give him an hour and a half notice. And then I ended up calling him at 333. And he goes, oh, you literally were a few minutes late. I said, yeah, I told you it was going to be a few minutes late. It was three minutes.
Starting point is 01:26:08 Yeah, literally. And he was like, wow, this is amazing. This is my kind of scheduling. Yeah. He said nothing's been hotter. Yeah. Yeah. I like the hair.
Starting point is 01:26:16 Yeah. But we did, the TikToks were fun. You can see on my Instagram. We went grocery shopping twice over the weekend. Here's how my grocery shopping works. I know. Look at Bobby being all normal. I love it.
Starting point is 01:26:27 I don't go to the grocery store. Yeah. If I get any food, it's from the gas station. Like if I'm going to stop and get food, I'll get gas station food. Or I'll eat out. I get food from there. Or I just have somebody pick it up. It's a store and bring it to my house.
Starting point is 01:26:41 So I don't go to the grocery store. But I went twice. I don't know who I'm turning into. How did it feel? Were you like, wow? It was fine. Look at all this stuff. Yes.
Starting point is 01:26:50 Those options. Look at all these different. If I'm going to go, I go and I can get everything that I need at the gas station. Right. That's convenient. And I don't need anything more. I'm a single guy. And that's what's familiar to you because you said that's how you shopped as a kid too.
Starting point is 01:27:06 Watch the Arkansas basketball game together. So she was sat down and watched Arkansas basketball. She's from Oklahoma, so she's not a big SEC lover. but she took one for the team and so Arkansas lost was terrible we lost to Missouri. How did you handle your vomit? Not very good because we're probably not going to make the NCAA tournament now
Starting point is 01:27:22 so it makes me want to vomit everywhere all day. But that was okay. That was okay. It was a good weekend. Friends is going to come back for a one-time show to launch the streaming service HBO Max. The cast has negotiated a sweet deal
Starting point is 01:27:39 a 60-minute unscripted program and each of them gets $4 million. Oh, my. That's more than $65,000 per minute, almost $1,100 a second on screen. Colleen. Amazing.
Starting point is 01:27:53 Crazy. Warner Brothers wants to fast track the reunion special. They anticipate the show to come together in the spring. The last holdout had been actor Matthew Perry, who played Chandler. It seems it's a one-off event. The show's creators made it clear on the 25th anniversary. We'll be doing a reunion show. we will not do a reboot, which is a big difference.
Starting point is 01:28:15 And it says that Ellen is probably going to be the host. So it sounds like they're just all going to sit and talk about the show more than just do an episode or something. Which is interesting. I don't think they should come back for a whole series because it'll never be what it was and then people will feel disappointed by it. It cannot meet the standard that it's been set.
Starting point is 01:28:38 And when they're there in this unscripted thing, are they, is it Rachel or is it Jennifer that we're talking? I would assume. I don't think Ellen DeGeneres interviewed them in character. Well, I want to know what Rachel's doing. I know, but I think it's about half of what we wanted because we want to know where everybody is, but I think she just probably gets them all together and interviews them.
Starting point is 01:28:58 Okay. Well, I'm sure, I mean, I'm in. I'll watch, so it's fine. Here's what it says. The latest deal would give them all this money, nothing would be finalized, the special, which would feature reflective interviews with the cast, rather than a scripted episode
Starting point is 01:29:12 similar to the original series. Okay. And my favorite show is The Office, and I don't want them to come back for a new series. They're always like, ooh, the Office, you know, we want to bring it back. What I would like for them to do
Starting point is 01:29:23 is have a one episode, like a Christmas special, like they did in the UK. Like they finished that show and then the two episodes in the UK and years later, they had a Christmas special, a couple years later,
Starting point is 01:29:31 another Chris special. There's one episode. So I would like for the Office, that'd be fun. If the Office comes back, Jim is going to be like, haughty. I mean,
Starting point is 01:29:39 they're going to have to like, Like, whoa, hey, Jack Ryan. Yeah, he's definitely built with a beard now. What happened? So, yeah, Friends, how do you feel about that? Would you watch that? I'm watching it, yeah. Would you look at HBO Max and set up a free trial to watch that?
Starting point is 01:29:53 Because you all set up a free trial for anything. I'll set up a free trial for anything. And then I'll forget to cancel it and I'll start paying for it. And then it'll all add up. Yes, that's me. I did watch four episodes of the Justin Bieber documentary. Mm-hmm. And?
Starting point is 01:30:05 Pretty good. I don't think it's worth buying the whole subscription to YouTube Plus. Because yeah, the first one's free, but the rest of them you have to buy a subscription too. I already got my two-week trial thing in my email. Yeah. So I haven't started yet though, but I'm excited. Why are, they're so short, though? Yeah, none of them that I saw were over 12 minutes, I don't think.
Starting point is 01:30:27 Maybe there's one 14 minutes, but they're all really short. That's like him in the studio. The funny part about him, because I love Justin Bieber now, because my girlfriend goes to church with them and says what a great guy he is. just loves him. She just thinks he's the greatest. And she has a lot of friends that are close to that circle. And so I'm like, all right, I'm into it.
Starting point is 01:30:49 I'll be cool with Justin Bieber. Did he care? Like he cares. So I like Justin Bieber now, right? And so I watched it. I liked it. I just, for me, I wouldn't have bought the YouTube subscription to get it. But she had the subscriptions
Starting point is 01:31:02 we watched on hers. Gotcha. And she had seen it before. Buy that yummy yummy, that's a jam though. That makes me like do the body roll. Very good. That kid got so famous, so young.
Starting point is 01:31:14 Yeah. Just like, boom. There's a clip on this show when he meets Haley Bieber, who's his wife now, where he meets her the first time, and her dad was Stephen Baldwin. And so she was just Haley Baldwin, right? She was a kid. And Stephen Baldwin took his daughter to meet Justin Bieber,
Starting point is 01:31:28 and she does not give a crap. And it's the clip of them actually meeting for the first time. He was doing like the more, like the Today Show or something. And he's like, hey, Justin. And he's like, this is my daughter. Haley's half asleep. She's like, hey. Like, does not give, doesn't care.
Starting point is 01:31:40 all to me just to be right. Most girls her age would have been freaking out. It's really funny. That's funny. But yeah, it's a good, I would have watched the whole documentary. I just wanted to buy a subscription to watch it. But that dude has 500 million, no, 50 million YouTube followers. Anything he puts up on YouTube, 50 million YouTube followers, crazy. Our IHeart Country Festivals coming up May 2nd, there are still a few tickets left at Texas boxoffice.com if you want to come. It's in Austin, Texas. You're going to love it. Derek Spentley, Sam Hunt, Lady A, Kelsey Ballerini, Kane Brown.
Starting point is 01:32:10 It's definitely worth the trip to Austin if you can get down for that trip in Austin. I'd like to say good morning to everyone. Good morning. Except to this one TSA agent in L.A. who's been arrested for tricking women into showing her boobies. Oh, my gosh. A TSA agent was arrested on Thursday for tricking an airline passenger into showing her boobs. Jonathan Lomeli, 22 has been charged with one felony account of false imprisonment for intentionally and unlawfully
Starting point is 01:32:43 detaining an individual through the use of fraud or deceit. He stopped someone claiming he needed to look into her brawl. No, if, okay. Yeah, you tell me what would have happened. Ladies, you know, if someone says that to you, be like, well, first of all, where's my female that's patting me down? True. Because that's the law.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Second, no, you don't need to see in my boob. What a weirdo, huh? That's so weird. For some reason, I let those, those people are like doctors or cops or. or someone that I hold at the highest esteem, I'm like, I trust you completely, Mr. Guy that stands on the other side of the machine at the airport.
Starting point is 01:33:20 Yeah, I know. It's like... They tell you to do something, you do it. Yeah, because you don't want to go to terrorist jail. Right. In the airport, you feel like you're going to terrorist jail for everything. So, yeah, that stinks. So good morning to everyone except him.
Starting point is 01:33:31 Good. Yeah. I saw the story by this dog who set the Guinness record for the amount of balls he can fit into his mouth. And I love these dog stories, which, by the way, I spent all weekend training my dog. He's actually, taking to it a little bit. Oh, that's awesome.
Starting point is 01:33:45 Slowly, but he's getting there. And we worked on a lot of go to your place. He's got a bed. He's got two beds. He's got one in his bedroom, which he doesn't even go to that much anymore. He's never in there when I'm at work. He just chills in the house. He's fine moving around then. Sometimes at night, though, I'll put him in there. But I'm about to just let him freely roam the whole house at night too. He's about to be a year old. And when that happens, it's time to make some decisions on your own kid. but every morning when I come to work, my battle with him is he tries to get out that front door when I go out the front door,
Starting point is 01:34:16 and it's hard to hold him back while shutting the door. And also he's so short because he's a small bulldog that it's hard to hold him down and out. Every morning, it's just the biggest battle to get him to stay outside the door. But this golden retriever just broke the record for a number of tennis balls
Starting point is 01:34:31 put in his mouth. Finley is capable of putting six tennis balls in his mouth at once. Oh my goodness. How's that impossible? I mean, this picture, That's really funny I mean, okay
Starting point is 01:34:44 That's cute Finley is a six-year-old Golden Retriever And is capable of fitting Six whole tennis balls In his mouth The current Guinness record Was set by a Texas
Starting point is 01:34:52 Golden Retriever named Augie In 2003 And he had five Not funny Well Golden Trevers are smart dogs How's your dog doing? She's a
Starting point is 01:35:03 What is she? She's a Labradoodle She's not that smart Right now How's she doing? I don't know She's fine She's just sometimes she's so chill and awesome
Starting point is 01:35:11 And then other times she's completely spastic Yeah my dog one of those is the Sometimes when she's one way that's the goal That's the poodle and the other time it's the Labrador Well my dog has what I call The Devil Hour Yeah About one hour a day turns to an absolute psycho
Starting point is 01:35:25 And tries to like play with his teeth Because he doesn't bite But he likes to grab with his mouth and play with his teeth Like ah And he goes berserk And so he has devil hour once a day That he just so I try to combat that. But he's getting there. As far as time
Starting point is 01:35:41 as I give him about not being a good dog because they're also very stubborn bulldogs, they're doing pretty good. So, we're working through it. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So in Animal Shelter in Tennessee,
Starting point is 01:35:57 they have the perfect idea for Valentine's Day, Puppercrams. It's the Sullivan County Shelter's idea and they are offering adorable puppies that they will send to your sweetheart's office, February 13th or 14th. The puppy will also show up with roses and a pup cake or chocolate dipped bacon. And then they get to, the puppy will snuggle with your Valentine and then they, they leave. But that's like your,
Starting point is 01:36:23 that's your Pupprogram. And it shows up and does that. And they will only go to people's workplaces. There are no private residences for Puprograms. And all the money. What do we think that is? I don't know. I guess they just don't want to be, I don't know. I was assuming just because the workplace is like a safe environment. I don't know, maybe the volunteers that have to to take the dogs. Don't want to go to somebody's house. That's a good point. And then just people try to take the dog.
Starting point is 01:36:45 I don't know. All the money raised will go directly back to the shelter to help care for their animals. And then maybe some will even get adopted through this. So I love it. I think it's a great idea. And all shelters should try to do something like this every year. That's great. That's what it's all about right there.

Starting point is 01:40:40 Transmitting. I got a lot of questions asking if I told my girlfriend to meet Amy and I didn't. We were tried, but your kids were sick. Yeah. I just did not want to expose y'all to any of that. So, yeah, there was a couple of times you reached out. Like, what are you doing? And I just, I felt like at one point it might be safe to come by,
Starting point is 01:41:05 but then I would feel awful. you ended up with a cough. Yeah, I'd fall off a too. Yeah. Yeah, I wouldn't live that one down. Did you quarantine your kids? I did upstairs. They know not to come downstairs.
Starting point is 01:41:18 Sometimes we put stuff halfway on the stairs. Like, they need medicine or all go up there and kind of we have masks or cover our face. And some moms, I assume, or other parents, or just people. We'll call them people in general on social media. Anytime that kind of comes up about me quarantining my kids. say that I'm extremely insensitive and not a good mom. And I'm like, how does it make sense for me as the mom to get sick? It just does not.
Starting point is 01:41:44 It doesn't. Like, because then if the mom and the dad go down and everybody's down, then that's just not good. So, and Kara, who helps us with our kids, she went down. She was sick. Couldn't work on Friday. So, I mean, there was, you know, I knew it was spreading. So I knew I had to put it into place, like, we just can't get sick. And my kids understand that.
Starting point is 01:42:03 They feel bad. They don't want to get me sick. I'm still nurturing. Madam Chicken noodle soup. Do you go up to them? Sometimes. Not every time. Depends on what is happening.
Starting point is 01:42:12 And if I do, we have, because my dad, he's old and sick. And sometimes we have masks that we have to wear or he has to wear. And so we put those on. I mean, to me, it's just, like, I don't know. Maybe my mom wasn't really this way. So I don't, I see some moms like cuddling with their, and my kids are 12 and 9. It's not like they're little, little, and they want to be.
Starting point is 01:42:34 held and cuddled. They just, they know how to be on their own and take care of themselves a little bit. So I don't know. I'm like, part of me is, wonders if something's wrong with me. Am I not being nurturing enough? But I am taking care of them because other moms call me out for that. But the other part of me that's rational is like, no, this is the smart thing to do. Why would I need to, why would I need to get sick to hug my kid? My answer would be based on their needs. Yes. Are you filling them? Yes. They don't want to be hugged and kissed and don't hug and kiss them. If it makes them feel better to be hugging kiss and hug and kiss them.
Starting point is 01:43:07 But if that's not their deal, then you're doing your job. They got food, water, medicine. You probably put the food through the little door. And Netflix. They had that for like three straight days. Like their needs are being met, you know? Is your son better? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:43:21 He got better before Stasheera. Stevenson was on the mend by Saturday morning. I would say his fever broke and he woke up and wanted to go out and do normal things. But Stasheera, she still was feeling rough. And like, every time she coughs her chest hurts really bad. and so I don't really want that, you know. We get it. But I love my kids.
Starting point is 01:43:42 I just want to be clear. Amy texted them at least five times a day. Oh, yeah, she can call me. She has her little watch phone from upstairs. If she really needs me, she can call me. I don't hate it. You know, me, I'm a germaphobe. Is it?
Starting point is 01:43:54 But I just feel some of the comments I get sometimes are insensitive about it. I'm like, I don't get it. I don't know. I love my children. I know that. So you're not going to make me feel like I don't. but don't hate on me for trying not to get sick. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:44:08 She rests her case. You guys can call us 877-77 Bobby if you would like. I didn't know that you didn't go up and do all that. I didn't know you actually left it at the bottom of the porch or the bottom of the stairs. That's funny. Sometimes we go halfway up. I'll meet you halfway. I will go up there, but we use masks and stuff.
Starting point is 01:44:26 Amy puts on a whole hazmat suit. I'm here, kids. Sounds like Darth Vader. There's two things where we're. going to hate it on four right now. Let's do the first thing. In a little bit, Amy's catch on flack for what she said. She does that their kids were sick where her kids are 13 and 9. 12. Almost 13. 12 and 9. They're 12 and 9 and they're sick, but you leave the food on the stairs for them to come out and get it and take it back in the cell. You don't really go in and take
Starting point is 01:44:58 care of them. You... Right. There's different, if I go, there's protocol. If I go upstairs, we're covered. They don't come downstairs. because I also had people working at the house some this weekend on some stuff. I don't want to get them sick. So I have to keep the kids upstairs. It's like looking out for everybody. And then, yeah, sometimes I'll put stuff halfway up the stairs so they can come halfway down and go back up. So basically you put your kids in quarantine.
Starting point is 01:45:21 Yes. And they're okay with that, right? Yes. My whole point was if they were asking you to come and be with them and you were like, nope, then that's different. But it seems like you're fulfilling their needs. And they just want to be left alone and watch Netflix and eat soup anyway, right? Yeah. And they do, and yeah, and it's also, we have, we do, we read, we do puzzles.
Starting point is 01:45:41 Stevenson yells down, mom, I completed a puzzle and I'm like, good job. I'll see, I'll see in a couple of days. Send a pick. Catch up Thursday. Post it on TikTok. I don't know. I, yeah, I just don't feel like, yes, unless they are craving that and they need me that I should get sick. Right.
Starting point is 01:46:02 Well, and a lot of you. You semi to anybody if I'm sick. You're getting some hate, but I'd like to bring on some callers. They're sticking up for you at this point. Let's put on Robin in Kansas. Robin, you're on the air? How are you, Robin? What's happening?
Starting point is 01:46:17 Not too much. Hey, I was just going to say that I relate to Amy that if my kids are quarantined to their room, if they come out, everything gets sprayed with Lysol. Yeah, wipe it down. So when you hear Amy say this, does it make her sound less loving as a mother? No, it sounds more loving because you don't want to spread it to other kids or yourself. Thank you. There you go.
Starting point is 01:46:40 See, it's a good call. I appreciate you. Oh, thanks, Robin. Appreciate that. Yeah, have a good day. Thank you. Let's go over to Kelly and Minnesota who's on the phone. Hey, Kelly.
Starting point is 01:46:48 Thanks for calling the show. What's going on? I just wanted to tell Amy that you do not let people worry or do not worry about what people say and all the shaming that they do. You're doing it right. Don't worry about it. and never ever, ever double think what you're doing because what works in your house doesn't work in everybody.
Starting point is 01:47:08 It works in my house, oh, girl. Okay, awesome. Do you do that? Do you shut kids in their room and talk to them a week later? Well, you know what? Don't judge, but yeah, sometimes you have to. If I get sick, my house shuts down. And then they're self-raising themselves even worse.
Starting point is 01:47:26 And you just, you have to take care of them. They have to get rest. put them in a spot and leave them there. Throw them a sandwich. Here's a single. I'll see you in six hours. You'll be fine. Here's your phone.
Starting point is 01:47:40 I'll clean it off when you're done. I'm actually on Amy's team too. Yeah, I'm just giving you a hard time. I don't have kids. So it's always... That I can imagine when you do. It's probably going to be like what I'm doing, but even better. Like, you'll have a better system and play and I'll be like, how'd you do that?
Starting point is 01:47:54 Teach me. Into the bubble, Bobby, Jr. Teach me your ways. Walk into the bubble. Right. Thank you for the call. You guys, feel free to hop on the show. The other thing that I'm getting flag for,
Starting point is 01:48:05 and we can talk about any other side, matching clothes with my girlfriend when we did our TikTok video. I mean, it was more than that, but yeah, I noticed y'all had matching outfits. Like every Instagram post. That was me being funny. I was being funny. I can tell you what happened there,
Starting point is 01:48:20 but I was being, because she was not a fan of it. Yeah. But we went to Target to get some food, which the grocery went to Target, and we were going to do a TikTok, and we found two flannel shirts for like $9. And so it's like, why don't we get these matching flannel shirts and we'll dance? It wasn't her. Routine.
Starting point is 01:48:37 Yeah. Yeah. And so people are, you can see it on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones, but people are lighting me up over it too. I don't care. Light me up. Yeah, it's cute. I match.
Starting point is 01:48:45 I like to match. They're just funny. Yeah. They might be jealous. People were haters. What had happened was over the weekend. I had, she needed a hoodie and I had two different colors. And I said, here, borrow this one.
Starting point is 01:48:56 And then before we left, I put the other one that matched to be funny. And then she got dressed to go to lunch and she had a tie-dye shirt on. And then I had one. So I went and put it on it before we left. And a black leather jacket. Why are you always matching me? So it was me being funny matching her on purpose. But I saw something else where she had like black patent shoes.
Starting point is 01:49:12 And you put on, I think, the closest thing you had to that, which was maybe your Jordans to have a black patent tip. Or is that just. I don't know what you're talking about. I mean, it was just shoes she was wearing. It looked like you had similar shoes. It just looked like you were matching her in little ways throughout. And I was like, oh, this is getting real cute. The shoes wasn't a thing.
Starting point is 01:49:30 Okay. I don't think I had any black. I don't know you're talking about. You have white, like, bass. Like, I think they're Jordans. I could be wrong. And the tip is... Oh, they're just Jordans.
Starting point is 01:49:39 There was no match involved. No, we had matching jerseys on, though. Oh, yeah. That was what that was. Okay. Let's go over to Brittany in Florida. Brittany, you are on the air. What's happening with you?
Starting point is 01:49:51 Morning. Morning. So I have two young kids, four and two. I just recently had to take in my cousin who was 13 years old to try to take care of her based off of a really bad situation that she's going through with her family. But I'm having an issue where when we're trying to have family time, she wants to be on her cell phone plane. And I didn't know anybody had any advice to try to get her more involved in the family.
Starting point is 01:50:20 Well, to just separate someone from their cell phone's tough, because if you're a cell phone person, you're on it all the time. For me, I love my cell phone. It's an extension to actually have conversations and connect in ways. that I never would without it. I think as a 13-year-old, and I know your daughter is issue with this, right? I would think that it's not, hey, we need to get off our phone.
Starting point is 01:50:42 It's, hey, let's compromise in some way. Between this time and this time, if you'll stay off your phone, you can also do X at this point. A 13-year-old to have your phone all the time is just natural. It's really a 13-year-old that's coming into a situation where she's already, things are, like, it's delicate. And that may have been her comfort in the bad situation at home.
Starting point is 01:51:07 And it could be her comfort, her familiarity in a new situation with you. So I'll give my piece first. It's that I just don't think you take it away and go, we're not using our phone right now. You could say, hey, it'd be awesome if we didn't use our phone right now in exchange for that. You know, you can use it for 30 more minutes before you go to bed. Or there's just something you can add to it if you're going to take away. I think you have to stay on this even line. And if you're going to take something away, you have to kind of give something back,
Starting point is 01:51:33 especially because she's not your kid. Right. You are taking her in. And if it was your kid a little more, you can be like, these are the rules. Abide by it. And you can do that with her, but it's just going to make it that much harder to connect on a deeper level. That would be what I would say is if you're going to pull something back from her, allow her to actually go in on something else.
Starting point is 01:51:53 Don't know what that is. Don't know her. Amy, what are your thoughts? Yeah, I agree with that too. And just make sure she knows she's. she knows she's super welcome during family time because she also might be like, oh, this is y'all's family time. I'm kind of just the cousin that's here and create like what are her, what would be interesting to her? Like what does she like to do besides being on her phone? And y'all can all
Starting point is 01:52:12 try to do that as a family with her. So she feels included. And then she might get more used to spending family time and she'll start to do what y'all do. And like Bobby said, with the compromise, I think it'll start to just become a flow and she'll want to put down her phone. it's hard to slam a new rule on someone in an uncomfortable, unfamiliar situation, especially at an age like 13. That's about as tough as it gets. What do you think about that, Brittany?
Starting point is 01:52:40 I've been trying not to address it with her at all, so I just wanted like a second opinion, you know. It kind of, it makes me, I know that she's had a really rough time and I know that she's going to probably be living with us permanently. And at 30 years old, I'm not really. really equipped for a 13-year-old just yet, but I'm trying. So I really appreciate the advice. Well, also know that there's not a wrong way.
Starting point is 01:53:03 There are ways that you're learning and you may do it wrong for a second, but every time you do something wrong, you actually learn a little bit from it, and that kind of makes it right. So what I would say is she's 13, so she's older than your other kids, right? You're having to communicate differently to someone who's just new inside the house, too? And you're never, like, unless you're like an expert studies like kids, I think with each new age, every year they turn and each new thing and then each new kid is a new thing that you're learning. Like no parent is ever equipped until they go through it.
Starting point is 01:53:34 But then each kid is totally different. So I think take the, if you haven't addressed the phone, take the time to really invite her into the family time. Make sure she know she's included. And just, yeah, I think between. And she's still not going to wait off the phone, by the way. No, it's going to be hard. And she might be mad at you. But if she's going to probably be living with you permanently, then, I mean, yeah, rules are going to.
Starting point is 01:53:54 have to start to get enforced because she's I mean if it's permanent you need to make sure she knows that you are the authority figure um okay we're going to end on this have the conversation with her it'd be awesome during family time if she wasn't on her phone as much if she could a bit you know be a little more invested and if she'll put her phone away for half an hour figure out something you can do for her on the other side because to pull back you also need to to to give a little as well, especially with the new edition who's 13. A lot of variables here that make the whole situation uncomfortable, but that doesn't mean it won't end up awesome.
Starting point is 01:54:33 Thank you guys so much. Okay? We feel good about this? Yep. All right. Brittany, have a great day. We should have a disclaimer too that. We should have a disclaimer too that we have no idea what we're talking about.
Starting point is 01:54:44 But does anyone? That was my point. She didn't feel equipped and I was like, oh my gosh, when I first got my kids, like I did not feel equipped and I still don't. you just go with the flow. Chris in North Dakota, you're on the Bobby Bone show. Chris, how are you, bud? Good.
Starting point is 01:55:01 How are you guys? Morning, studio. Morning. Question for you. I was just wondering how your dog reacted with your girlfriend being in your house. Pretty good. She caught the dog at a pretty good time where he's starting to somewhat be kind of good. He's just been a terror.
Starting point is 01:55:18 Almost a year old, a bulldog who came and had. hasn't had a lot of structure in that he's had so many surgeries that every time I'd try to train him or get the trainer to come train me to train him or to get the trainer to, he has to go in front of the surgery. So it doesn't really stuck. But that being said, he is pretty good. We hung out all weekend. The dog was there for 93% of it. So it was good. It was good. It was a big part for me though. Let's see how she'll be around the dog. I literally had that written down. So I'm glad he called. Like I made a note to myself and I would have forgotten about it about how is Caitlin as a
Starting point is 01:55:52 because she like a dog she like kind of Stanley's mom no God no not yet they met once Wow Amy When does that happen? Like at what point in the relationship Relax
Starting point is 01:56:05 They met once Relax Just once Okay Yeah it was the first time They'd ever met Okay But it was good Chris
Starting point is 01:56:14 Everything everything's new right now Well that's good to hear I know last week you had said You came up and bitch the calf, so I hoping something like that didn't happen. What did you say again? I didn't hear what you said. Didn't last week you had mentioned that your dog came up and just like bit him in the left or something like that. Unfair of me to say it like that if that's how it was taken.
Starting point is 01:56:34 We were wrestling. And that's the only way I can tire. He has two ways to tire out. Take him in the backyard and run them around in circles or wrestle with them. And if it's cold, I'm not going in the backyard. So he wrestle on the floor and he wrestles with his mouth. And so he got me on my calf. But that was on me.
Starting point is 01:56:51 I did when it's called. I hit the app and call a dog walker because I'm just not going to go walk outside. If it's below 45, I'm not going outside. So I'll hit the app and call the dog walker. And they're great. They come and they just took them for a walk for 30 minutes or an hour. My dog will walk out to the front yard and just lay in the yard and not move.
Starting point is 01:57:08 And he's like, good luck. And so they'll text me and be like, hey, he's not moving. I'm like, just sit with them. Oh my gosh. As my grandmother would say, he's an honorary bulldog. But yeah, it was good. All that was good. These kids in Sacramento had a protest to demand more homework.
Starting point is 01:57:29 Wow. Why? Really? Why? What do you mean? Well, I mean, I don't know any kid, including myself when I was a kid, that wants more homework. What if you don't feel like you're learning? More than a dozen students and parents stood outside Sacramento's William Land Elementary School before Thursday. School Day started with a unique demand. What?
Starting point is 01:57:50 Parents were there too? I do not want my kids to have more homework. Quote, I've had none. I'd like at least a little. Said Luke Day, a sixth grade student. And his mom said, and he despises homework. And he put his name out there. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:58:05 The issue is that for much of the school year, Luke's class has not had a consistent teacher. Oh. Instead, there's been a string of substitutes or a shuttling of students to other classrooms. They really just feel responsibly that they're not getting the education they need. Well, then if that's the case,
Starting point is 01:58:20 then yeah, I guess they need to do what they need to do to feel like they're getting an education. It just, for me, I don't, homework's not my favorite. Listen, those are the biggest nerds in school right there. Those 12 kids that are out there protesting, I don't care if I'm getting no education. That means I'm just getting a free A the whole year.
Starting point is 01:58:38 That is the best thing ever to happen to me. When you get a sub all year, heck yeah. Nerd alert, nerd alert, you protested for homework. You guys are dorks. I would compare it to either someone giving you a fish are teaching you to fish. Like it's nice to get a fish. You get to eat that fish
Starting point is 01:58:54 and then you're full and you're done but you don't learn out of fish for the rest of your life. But if you'll be taught to fish then you can actually have fish and do the work and have fish for the rest of your life. These kids are wanting to be taught to fish.
Starting point is 01:59:06 They don't want to be handed the fish. I can respect that. Well, Bobby, you would have been one of the kids out there. Oh, for sure. Yeah, no, no, no. I'd probably start teaching the class. All right.
Starting point is 01:59:13 I went home last night, kids. This is what I learned. I'm going to teach it to you guys now. But again, in life, we can get the easy fish. We can be full for a second. And we can be king dingling for a second with our fish. Our belly can be so full.
Starting point is 01:59:26 We're like, look at me. I'm king dingling bellies. I'm full. Or we can say, you know, it's not the most glamorous thing, but I would like to be taught to fish. Because then for the rest of my life, I can take care of myself. And I can take care of the people around me. And I can learn. And I can get an education.
Starting point is 01:59:42 Yeah, it's not the easiest. You know what's easy? A free fish. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, it's hard learning how to fish. learning a new skill to be self-sufficient. So I encourage you, my friends listening right now, don't eat the fish, ask to be taught to fish.
Starting point is 02:00:01 Go to school today and ask for more homework. These kids, they didn't even have their face blurred on the news. Their faces are out there. Some of the best days in school when you walked in, there's a subteacher. Yes, yeah. Every day. It's like if you got dessert for every meal, it wouldn't be that good. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 02:00:19 If every meal was just cheesecake, you would go, Yeah, cheesecake, I'd get a different meal. But if you're eating broccoli and grilled chicken for every meal, and then you get cheesecake, like the seventh meal, you're like, holy crap is cheesecake. Yeah. So there's a difference there. We got to stop with this attitude of just let me get the quick fix.
Starting point is 02:00:40 Learn. Then you can be the boss. Those guys lost their friends, though, huh? No, you got to say. That's not true. Well, they have friends in each other. Yeah. I'm not hating on what they're doing.
Starting point is 02:00:54 I'm just surprised that kids are out begging for homework. That's all. And then as a parent, too, sometimes I struggle with trying to help my kids with homework. I'm like, oh gosh. Math is killing me right now. Sounds like a personal problem right now. It is. Last time I helped my kid with his homework, he failed.
Starting point is 02:01:12 True story. Which kid? Oh my good. My 12-year-old. What kind of homework? It's math. I was like, let me double check. that and I changed a couple things and he turned it in.
Starting point is 02:01:20 He was like, eh, eh, F. God, the other day we had three adults looking at Stasheera's math homework and like, oh, and maybe one of my other friends stopped by. So we had four adults that had eyes on this homework and none of us. One of my friends was like, my dad's a math teacher, hold on. So like, she was, I mean,
Starting point is 02:01:36 it's hard. Especially if you didn't learn it how they're learning it and there's new ways they're teaching math. So all of this coming from you is just because you can't do the homework. Lunchbox is reliving a childhood dreams. Absolutely. Easy. I'll take it. But you're, let's be honest, Bobby's right.
Starting point is 02:01:54 No, he's not. Yes, he is. Learn to fish. Homework is imperative so you can learn how to do it because you're going to have it probably in the next grade and the next grade in high school. So these six-graders might as well learn how to do it. And then in college, you're pretty much on your own
Starting point is 02:02:06 when you're trying to teach yourself a bunch of stuff. So, you're right. Thank you. Team Bobby. Thank you. And who's, whose show is this? That's the Bobby phone show. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:02:19 Because he learned. He's the one that did all the homework and we did. Thank you. Thank you. Hey, I do want to talk about the Oscars last night. Let's, um, do we have a special Mike D. Cepreemone that we can play? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 02:02:29 Oh, let's do it, 60 seconds. Here we go. And now movie Mike's 60-second Oscar recap. Mike D, what happened last night? So I think there was a pretty big shock for when it came to Best Picture. Parasite ended up winning, which was the first foreign film to ever win. So all subtitles. All subtitles.
Starting point is 02:02:45 All subtitles, the entire movie. But you loved it. I love that movie. And I think it's great that it won. I may have to check it out. All right, what else? I thought a cool moment was Brad Pitt winning his first Oscar as an actor because he'd been a producer before.
Starting point is 02:02:58 But his first ever Oscar for being in a movie. Yeah, and how big of an actor he is to not have one was pretty nuts. All right, what else? Joaquin Phoenix, winning for Best Actor. I think that was probably expected, but glad that it ended up happening. Well, you love that Joker, did you? I love that movie. I thought it was good.
Starting point is 02:03:14 I thought it was good. But you thought he was great at acting, right? Yeah, he was great in it. just because he made it really odd. It was either going to be a laughed at acting job or a love because it was so different and out there. That's the second time somebody's won an Oscar for playing the Joker. Did he Ledger win one? Yeah, he won for Best Supporting.
Starting point is 02:03:34 Really? Wow. What else? I thought the weirdest moment was probably Eminem coming out and performing. Because, I mean, 8 Mile, he won for that song for Best Original song like 15 years ago, and then he just showed up randomly. Nobody knew he was going to be there. Why? because they did like a montage of like music in movies
Starting point is 02:03:51 and then at the very end they started playing the song and he came up from underneath the stage. I think when he won it 15 or 20 years ago or whatever it was he wasn't there to accept it. Yeah, I even watched the old clip when they won and the guy went up to accept. It was like Marshall Can't be here, but he's a good dude. He's a good dude. He's a good dude.
Starting point is 02:04:07 So I tell you what it did do as much as people were hating on a little bit that's like the most talked about moment of the Oscars last night. Yeah, because there was no host so it really had no other moment aside from that. I saw Scoobis Steve with a funny tweet. He said there was no host at the Oscars and it's fine and all, but it's like going to the grocery store and have them do self-checkout.
Starting point is 02:04:24 I mean, it works. Yeah, it loses a lot of it. He didn't have that experience, that personal experience. What else, Mike? I thought it was crazy that Netflix almost got shut out. They had the most nominations, but they only won two awards. Do you feel like there's something happening with the voters where they don't want to give Netflix to credit?
Starting point is 02:04:41 I kind of feel that way that they're seeing it as like the streaming world kind of going against movies that are in theaters, so maybe they hold back on some of the voting. You can't fight technology. You can hold them off a little bit, but you can't fight technology in anything. So give it a couple years. It'll be all the movies, basically.
Starting point is 02:05:02 All right, Mike D, is that it? That is it. Any one point you want to end on? Go watch Parasite. I might. Mike today. You know, I started watching Knives out yesterday, and I watched like the first 30 minutes of it,
Starting point is 02:05:15 and I'm not there yet. yet. Some people love it. People don't like it. Oh, I think my husband wanted to watch that. Is it like a comedy? Yeah. It's like a murder mystery comedy. Yes, that's it. Okay. So I'm going to hold my review back. I was surprised Mike you hadn't seen knives out because I went to him. Any movie I'm going to watch, I'll go to movie Mike and be like, what's the deal? And he's like, it's the one I haven't seen it.
Starting point is 02:05:35 Yeah, he was a little overrated. Yep. Well, we're the guy that needs to watch them and tell me. I'll watch it. You can't hear it. You got to watch it. How did we feel about the Tom Hanks, Mr. Rogers movie? We liked it. We loved it. I haven't seen it yet, but it also is on our list. Yeah, we really liked it.
Starting point is 02:05:52 My husband, I were debating the forks out, knives out, or Mr. Rogers. And, yeah, we ended up going with the Ford versus Ferrari, but. So you didn't pick either one of the movies we were up? We were like, listen, we had a big debate. Was it knives out or was it? And we were like, and instead, we went with old school. So how was Ford versus Ferrari? It was really good.
Starting point is 02:06:13 I give it four and a half. Wow. Race cars out of five. And I knew nothing about it going into it. I think that's why it lost half a star because it took me a minute to get into it. The beginning seemed a little bit. I'm like, well, it's happening. But once I was in and realized there's a true story, I was all in. I recommend it. It was good. Four and a half out of five. Yeah. Anybody else? Mike, you see that one? Yeah, that's pretty good. I think you'll like it. You will. I do like Matt Damon. Yeah. Because he's in it, right? Yeah, Christian Bale.
Starting point is 02:06:45 And I kind of like Christian Bail. Anytime I see Christian Bail, I just picture him yelling at the... Good for you. Yeah. I'm like, oh gosh, he was probably a nightmare to work with on this. Bobby Bones. Come on. All right, you should go back and listen to today's show if you're at work and you're like, I'm bored.

Oh, listen to you. Thank you very much. What else, Morgan, number two? We got an update on Amy's snooze challenge and Eddie's reading challenge.
Starting point is 02:07:54 Oh, yeah, Amy, not snoozing and Eddie not reading, but now reading. I finished my book. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And anything else, Morgan number two? Yeah, and we talked about the friends reunion and how much they're getting paid for it. Okay, all of that on today's podcast. Go check it out. I did draft Mickey Mouse with my first pick.
Starting point is 02:08:10 It was the no-brainer, right? Yeah. People were telling me that that was too easy of a pick. I shouldn't have picked it. It was not flashy at all. I thought it was the perfect. I thought so too. Everybody would want Mickey Mouse.
