Starting point is 00:02:54 Monday show. I want to go right to the glass room where Ramundo is. Because I have a note here that Ramundo has a pro tip for all of us if you hate waiting on customer service hold. What's that? Yeah, so I randomly figured this out, but, and then I read some stuff online and it's actually legit. So if you're just sitting there and they always have you enter this number, hit the hashtag, all you got to do is say the F word. So you just say, what? F this. And it'll jump you right to a customer service representative because I've read, they said that's like an urgency type word. where they automatically escalate it. Can we just say F?
Starting point is 00:03:27 Or do we have to say the word? You probably have to say the word. Oh, like F is. You wouldn't do it to jump it right up? Yeah. No, because I don't want to make the person on the phone feel super uncomfortable. But what if they didn't know and you just jump a line? Would you, instead of waiting 45 minutes, because you're like me, you don't curse.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Would you say the F word to jump a 45 minute hold line? No. Amy? No, I wouldn't. That would be awkward for me. I just would be like, I don't know. But you're talking to a recorder, so it's not like you're talking to... Oh, it's a recorder? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:59 Oh. No one's going to hear you. Yeah, no one's going to hear you. Would you do it to a recorded voice? I don't know. No, because that just even just that, I don't know. What would you do? No.
Starting point is 00:04:10 I haven't cursed since 2015, man. I got a street going. Yeah. Man, I'd do it to jump a minute line. Wow. You haven't tried it, right, Mundo? No, I have. Yeah, I've done it with my banks and then when I call Bovada as well.
Starting point is 00:04:22 Why are you calling the betting service? Get a friend referrero. How much money you think you've made in referrals? Couple G. That's crazy. I mean, since you started dancing with the stars. No, no, I'm talking about just from referrals, not money you've made, but like people refer. You've made.
Starting point is 00:04:39 Couple G, because you get 100 about every referral. They give you 250% of what somebody deposits, but it caps out at 100 bucks. I think I might sign up, too. There's another 100 for you. Tibet? I don't know. Y'all have fun with it. It's fun.
Starting point is 00:04:53 It could be fun. It's not really my thing. You win? Not all the time. I've won more than I've lost on it, but still. I don't know. I just bond with the guys. It could be something we could talk about.
Starting point is 00:05:04 You're all doing it. You totally should do it. I guarantee you to win. I know, it'll be something like y'all are my... You know, you should do things with your coworkers, like, find different ways to bond. And I was thinking about it. And I was like, maybe I need to gamble with the guys. I don't gamble with the guys.
Starting point is 00:05:19 You just did. You just did yesterday. And it was a blast, dude. How much fun do we have together, you and me? Y'all like text about it. We did. And then I don't, I didn't even, we can start a group text. Amy, and then you encourage you to like, dude, one more touchdown and you're going to get this.
Starting point is 00:05:35 Yeah, but can you just do like a dollar? Yes, that's what I do. Put a dollar on it. Eddie always goes, put a dollar on it. And then he's like, only put a dollar on it. It doesn't matter. Correct. But then when you win, I bet it's a real bummer.
Starting point is 00:05:45 Only win a dollar. Yeah, you didn't put 500 down. No, no, no, no, no, no, guys. What I do is I bet, but bets that are impossible to win, like, really hard. So you've got to get 10 games to. to go your way. And if you win, you win like $1,000. If you don't, you lose a dollar.
Starting point is 00:06:01 And how many times you won those thousands? Once. No, nice. That was a $200 one. Nice. Yeah. So I'm saying, when it pays off, Amy, you're like, yes. And if you lose, you're like, it's just a buck.
Starting point is 00:06:12 And if it's for entertainment and you're actually getting entertainment from a dollar, that's all right. Because I'm not going to be, I'm not looking, it's not, I'm not addicted. It's not like I'm, depending on it to turn money over real quick. I'm not going to get in a bind. I'm not going to have a bookie. Yeah. I'm not going to be hiding money around my house. That's how it starts.
Starting point is 00:06:27 I just, I lightly tread on this, man. But I did hit last night pretty good. Yeah, you did. So does that make you itch a little bit to play again? That's good, though. That means you're in a healthy place. None. Really?
Starting point is 00:06:38 None. None at all. I just want to push the button to give me my money. I just work too hard for my money now. I'm like, I don't want to give it away to do something stupid. Yeah. Yeah. I get that.
Starting point is 00:06:46 But I was watching the game at home last night by myself, and I was like, well, I don't only care. What can make me care a little bit is put a little money on it. That's it. Yeah, I could care less about that game last night. There's a college by my house and my kids always want to go to basketball games. And I'm like, it was perfect. I'll bet on the game.
Starting point is 00:07:01 I'll take the kids and we all win. And it's fun because the college game is on the website, even though it's a small college. Do you bet on your kids athletics? Do parents do that? Eddie's the Pete Rose of Dads. Come on. Guys, blow the game. Yeah, it would kind of be a new thing.
Starting point is 00:07:15 You can't do that, Amy. The Taylor Swift documentary happened Friday. Yes, it came out Friday. Amy and Eddie both watched it. Yeah. Yeah. Amy liked it. Eddie didn't.
Starting point is 00:07:24 What? No, I wasn't. I mean. Okay. Disregard Eddie's review. Go ahead, Amy. Amy, you're first. It was amazing.
Starting point is 00:07:31 I thought it was really well done. It gave you some behind the scenes that like, oh, into her life, almost that, like, you appreciated it. I mean, I get that she's not going to, sometimes you were wanting more, but I get her not putting it all out there. But I love her relationship with her mom. It gave, I mean, they had footage from way back in the beginning. like probably a little home video she was making
Starting point is 00:07:54 to now when she probably had someone following her around and it was raw, it was emotional. She's so talented. I was inspired by it. So I would highly encourage if you're a Taylor Swift fan or not to watch it. And you give it? Five stars out of five.
Starting point is 00:08:13 Okay, Eddie. It was so good. Okay, here's the thing. I feel a couple things. One, I feel like it was just promotional for her new whatever she's going to do next it's just a promotion like guys get ready i'm going to do something big because the whole story basically in a nutshell is taylor is not happy being that nice girl that taylor always was so she's
Starting point is 00:08:33 going to speak now whatever she's been speaking she's going to speak even more and so i was like okay this is fine and i love taylor but she like bases her happiness basically she's saying like i'm not happy because people just say bad things about me and it's like part of me is like taylor I forget she's only 27 but I'm like Taylor get over that like you're huge you're living your dream you're successful and I'm watching her sit there with her cats
Starting point is 00:09:00 being like hmm this kind of like stinks that's not how she was being that's not how you get I give it two two out of five boy two nineteen eighty nines oh wow that is that's crazy to me Bobby I want you to watch it I'm not watching oh my gosh why I really need your thoughts on this
Starting point is 00:09:17 I've no one I'm not watching I love Taylor Swift by the way I'm not watching it. I like her music just fine. I'm not watching it. Interesting. Why, Amy, what is that? Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:29 I mean, because Bobby has his reasons for doing everything, so now I need to know why he's not watching it. I just don't know. I'm not interested in it. Is it not real? Because don't tell me it's not real. I'm going to cry. It's probably super, who knows.
Starting point is 00:09:40 I cried watching it. I'm sure you did. I cried it in the Super Bowl. I'm stupid. There's nothing wrong with that. I think it's probably a well-done document series. Is it scripted? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Amy, I don't know anything about it. Documentary, yeah. I have chosen not to watch it. I'm not going to watch it. I'm saying nothing going to bad about it. I haven't seen it. And now me, like, saying bad stuff about it, I feel like now I'm adding to her unhappiness.
Starting point is 00:10:01 No, you're not. That'll be Miss Americana, too. It's going to be me talking. Because they use clips of people being like, get over it, Taylor. It's going to be me being like, Taylor, get over this. I had texted Nikki Glazer, who I haven't talked to in months. Oh, yeah, because she was in it.
Starting point is 00:10:15 She was in it, and she was making fun of Taylor, and I saw that she had posted on her Instagram story, like, hey, sorry, I was, and I sent her a message. message. And I, and I, this is what I sent to Nikki. So like in the documentary, Taylor was talking about her eating disorder and how she got really thin and wasn't eating and it was based on comments that people were making about maybe if she looked fat or pregnant in a photo and then she would literally starve herself. And Nikki Glazer at the time, well, around the time she was super skinny. It was on some show commenting and said, I mean, she's just so skinny with all her model friends and
Starting point is 00:10:48 like made a comment like that. And I wrote to Nikki because I saw her. Instagram post where she was like, oh, I'm really sorry. And Nikki's a diehard Taylor Swift fan. Yeah. And she's also a comedian and is a comedian. Sometimes you just say things for laughs, even if you don't fully mean it when you're the comedian person. I've been the victim of that too.
Starting point is 00:11:04 You chase a joke and it doesn't always fall right. And I know she hated that she was in the show. Again, I haven't talked to Nikki in a while. We kind of had a small falling out. But I was like, you know what? I'll always be her friend. I saw her Instagram post and I texted her. By the way, we hadn't talked since October of last year.
Starting point is 00:11:20 I looked the text wrote before that I said Hey I hope you're doing okay with all the Taylor stuff I thought it was a really wonderful post on Instagram And it'll be over soon enough Everything now lasts about nine seconds And it's on to the next thing to be outraged about And then she wrote hey thanks to me's a lot
Starting point is 00:11:38 And it's just I know what it's like To feel like the whole world's crumbling down on you Whenever you're in the news for a second But really people move on so fast It was just that It was just like I know it stinks Also I know it I have to come here sometimes
Starting point is 00:11:50 do a show for five hours a day and I say stupid stuff that in the context of the show I'm like maybe it's funny then it's not that funny and then somebody gets hurt by it like I get all of that and so I just wanted her to go hey you're all right you're gonna be okay it feels like everyone is jumping on you right now but in a second they're gonna find something else to jump on to happening with another friend of right now too who's dealing with something and I'm just like just hang out nobody really cares I know you feel like you're being attacked
Starting point is 00:12:16 because of a show nobody cares just to get through it and when I was not dancing with the stars, I was just getting run by the people. Everything I went to, Facebook, answering, I was just getting killed the fact that I was winning that show. Again, but nobody, really, nobody cares. Only the people that really care, and it feels like your whole world's crumbling down because you're in the middle of it. But nobody, so I've been there a couple of times.
Starting point is 00:12:39 And I was just like, hey, you'll be good. And she is good. And I think Taylor went on her Instagram later on that day and was like, oh, I accept your apology. Yeah. Great. And now she's more famous because of it. Nikki is.
Starting point is 00:12:49 It all works out. Yeah, it's good. Everyone's happy. Yeah. Eddie, your personality, I think you struggle with it, is because you are, some people are genetically more wired to be happier. You're telling Eddie he didn't like your movie because of his genetics? No, no. No, he doesn't understand.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Eddie, you just don't get it, your genetics. Don't allow you to like the movie like you? No, I've been researching a lot about happiness. And even at church the other day, we were talking about how genetically, like some people can have a easier time being happy because of their makeup. I struggled with that. And I thought about Eddie because I was like, God, that's Eddie. It's looking for that way. Oh, Eddie is happy a lot.
Starting point is 00:13:26 He's like I was born this way. But I know that a lot of it can be a choice and we have to rewire our brains at times. But I feel like that part of your brain just is wired to be happy already. You don't have to put in the work that some people do. And I think there's maybe why you're struggling with why maybe she wasn't, she didn't have happiness. You're like, what? Or do you feel like she's just the victim a lot? I don't think she acted like the victim in this.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I haven't seen it. It's not just her. It's people that depend on random strangers, like fans or whatever, for your own happiness. So if they agree with you, then she's happy. Okay. If they disagree with you, say bad things about her, then she's not happy. Can't live your life that way. I mean, okay, I'm 40 years old, and I finally get it.
Starting point is 00:14:10 I didn't get it at 27. So that was interesting. But you also want the public eye until. Correct. Well, I'm sure that it's a fine documentary. Amy gives it five, Eddie gives it two. Bad reputation. I just saw Amy Schumer or heard her on an Oprah podcast
Starting point is 00:14:25 and she was talking about how as a comedian she's looking for the laughter and the approval like that's where she gets her. But she gets that in her music. That's true. She just sell a bunch of directors. She gets that at her concerts. Okay, well, I'm just saying like performers,
Starting point is 00:14:40 they get approval from other people is sometimes how they get their love tank filled up. Then stay away from Facebook. Oh, I do. I chopped it. Like, I've talked about that a lot where I go and do a theater. Not so much now because I have a girlfriend. I'm in a healthy relationship.
Starting point is 00:14:56 But I would go and do a stand-up show, and there would be 3,000 people there, and I would crush, and I'm the bell of the ball, and then I go back to a hotel room by myself after it, and you're just like, this sucks. Yeah, yeah. That's hard. I can't imagine. I can't. Well, Amy loves it. Eddie didn't want. I can't wait for Mr. Americana.
Starting point is 00:15:16 That's your documentary. Oh, that's Bobby? Yeah. You walk around with Stanley in your backpack? I don't think enough people would watch it. But I just think that way about a book too and I'd write a book. Right?
Starting point is 00:15:28 Not enough people are going to buy this book. Dude, you thought that about everything. You were the most watched Bear Girls show. I know. People will watch. If I ever don't think that, though, then I think I've lost my edge. Okay, good. I have to always feel, like, I talk to my therapist about this.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I'm like, if I get too right, I'm going to lose my edge. Because I, in my heart, feel like still the kid from Mountain Pine, Arkansas. And if I ever lose that, I think I'd stop speaking for the people that. come from places like Mount Pine, Arkansas, and I don't ever want to lose that. So, but I do feel anything that I do is like, this is going to be the one that fails. And sometimes things do fail, but I'm always, this is the one that's going to not do well. But if I ever don't do that, that's not a good place for me. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:16:09 I have a couple of other things in my list here. Mike D. saw the Bad Boys for Life, too, with Will Smith. Is that true? Yeah. You want to review us? The third one. Oh, there's a second one. third one. Bad Boys 3? Yeah. Go ahead. I thought it was pretty good. I mean, they're looking
Starting point is 00:16:25 pretty old these days. Well, it's because they are. I know, but it's harder to find it, like, realistic of them, like, actually doing stuff like this, but it's a pretty good movie for what it is. What would you give it? 3.5 out of five police badges. Did you watch Miss Marikana? I did. And? I liked it. What would you give it? I'd give it, like, four out of five stars. So kind of in the middle of those two? How did you feel about it? Did you feel like it was a straight documentary or like a promotional show. I don't feel like it was promotional at all. I mean, she's not like promoting a new album or anything.
Starting point is 00:16:58 And I really like this, like, the way she told her story in it. I thought it was really well done. There you go. If movie Mike says it. Yes. It must be real. That'll be true. And you have a new episode? Yeah. Which is?
Starting point is 00:17:08 I'm fact-checking movies based on true stories and seeing how much was like made up for the movie and how much really happened. Oh, that's cool. Movie Mike's movie podcast. What is one example? on the show. So like catch me if you can with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. Where he was a guy who was his pickpocketer right? No he did a bunch of forgery. He like wrote checks, posed as a pilot. A doctor. Oh, he faked all that stuff. Yeah. And then Tom Hakes chased him the whole movie.
Starting point is 00:17:33 So what I found out is Tom Hanks' character wasn't a real person. Like it was actually some like a compilation of like three other agents who worked on that case, but his actual character wasn't a real guy. But the DeCaprio character though. Yeah. And all that stuff he did was actually real. I think that's all that matters for that movie. And then you build everything else around it Well, I think it's hard to keep up with If you have three different people chasing him True
Starting point is 00:17:55 I like that they would do that as one character Yeah, the only thing he didn't do that he did In real life in the movie was like At the very beginning when he posed as like a teacher That was the only thing he didn't do And so you fact check a bunch of movies Yeah That's cool
Starting point is 00:18:06 Don't tell me what else that's happening But what are some other movies you did in this podcast Remember the Titans Blindside? Oh, the Blindside Yeah That's interesting Because I know
Starting point is 00:18:16 SJ actually a Tui The son He's the kid Yeah I know him now He's like a buddy of mine He's the young son On that show
Starting point is 00:18:25 Sandra Bullock and Timmergoss's son Yeah Yeah Interesting Okay thank you very much Yeah Check out movie mics movie podcast I have a note here
Starting point is 00:18:34 From Morgan number two Quote Something is happening to me I'm not having much fun At the bars anymore Yeah I'm growing up I think Happens
Starting point is 00:18:43 You're probably just tapped out Of doing it so much Yeah I mean I went and had drinks Friday night and then I went Saturday night and actually went out and either one I was like, why am I doing this? I'd rather be home watching Netflix and it made me feel really old.
Starting point is 00:18:57 We walked into the bar, we're there for five minutes and left. So you did leave though? Yeah, I've never done that before. It felt really odd to me. Welcome to 26. You'll just start going back. You'll still enjoy it, but just not at the rate that you did.
Starting point is 00:19:15 And also, you're going to, You're going to like feeling better in the morning, not drinking. I do. I'm addicted to that now. I'm like, I can go work out. I'm not hung over. This is great. Oh, yeah, that's making me feel old, though.
Starting point is 00:19:27 Old, stop it. I had a call I didn't get to today that was like, I'm turning 21. I'm really struggling. It's over the, and I didn't even go out of the club today. Oh, my gosh. I just, every time I look at the screen, I'll roll my eyes. I'd be like, then I wouldn't. See, that's kind of how I felt with Taylor's documentary.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I was like, come on. But everybody only knows what they're, what they know. Which is all I know about her. Yeah. Documentary. You're like Taylor. It's easy to be happy. I think Taylor's good. It's in my genetics.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I was born this way. I think we're done. Okay. Let's see. Well, people are texting, watching us now on Facebook. The Taylor's documentary was good, but Amy's giving it too much credit. Oh, boo. Nice.
Starting point is 00:20:02 I mean, everybody has their own opinion. Yeah, it's the beauty of art. Why are you looking at me like that? I disagree with you saying we are not from here. My great grandfather was from Ireland. However, I was born on this continent. Yeah, I earlier, my point is, none of us are from here. Unless you're a Native American, we are all descendants of immigrants.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Every one of us. Correct. That's my point. I know you weren't born here, knucklehead. I don't know. No, he was born here. They're saying, right? Yeah, he was.
Starting point is 00:20:33 But my grandpa, yeah, but still, you are from a. It would be like, you know what, I'm tired. At some point, one of our ancestors would be treated a certain way that you'd be like, hey, whoa, that's weird. I'm tired, but it doesn't matter. I'm going to go home. What's your hat? Mickey.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Disney Alani, man. Is it Mickey on the beach? Mickey and Pluto. I got this from what we shot for two days. I guess three days. The hardest part about that trip was just to travel because Hawaii is so far. Far. People are going to Hawaii, amazing.
Starting point is 00:21:03 This resort's nice and shooting on the beach. But we just worked the whole time. So got there, I guess we got like 9 p.m. after flying for 13 hours. woke up and was going at 6 in the morning, went until night, slept. Did it again until night, slept, then got on a plane. flew back to 13 hours. So it's great to look at, but I didn't do anything Hawaii. Yeah. I got on a paddle board. Did you eat anything away? No, you drank a Pinoa
Starting point is 00:21:25 cala. Yeah. That was nice. Macadamia nuts? You were drinking something with a pineapple on it. Something. I was? Yeah. It must have been a prop. Oh, no, no, it was a prop. Really? It was fake. Yes. It was a pineapple. Yes. It was a pineapple they had there because we were using it for an intro shot. And I was like, let me get one of those. So I drank it. Yeah. You got me. I was like, look at him, living his best Hawaiian life. So what Instagram does to you, though. Got me real good. Instagram, get you like that.
Starting point is 00:21:49 Yeah. All right, speaking to Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones, and you can hit me up over there, which, by the way, we have a bunch of podcasts. Luke Combs will be coming by my house tonight, do the Bobbycast. Search Bobbycast. It is a music podcast with interviews and a lot of fun facts.
Starting point is 00:22:03 Luke Combs for an hour. That should go up tonight. That's mine. Amy has. Four things with Amy Brown. There's not a new one up today. But there's a one from Thursday. Yeah, the one from Thursday is with Jenny Allen,
Starting point is 00:22:16 and she has a lot of really good wisdom. In fact, on how you can rewire your brain to be happy. Because she just noticed, she just wrote a whole book on it because she noticed a lot of women she was working with were in this, like, downward spiral of toxic thinking. So if you're, if, you know, I think we could all use it. I was listening to a podcast from the TED Radio Hour, TED Talks, and it was about this brain surgeon, brain doctor who had a stroke.
Starting point is 00:22:43 And so she had studied the brain forever, but then had a stroke. and then it took her eight years to come all the way back, but she kept track the whole time, and she was actually, for the first time ever, someone that studied the brain had that happen to them, and she was able to experience it from the inside, and she was talking about it. She was like, I'm so grateful that I had this stroke.
Starting point is 00:22:59 Because forever, she said, I could have been to laugh for 50 years, but because I was able to do it and live it, and I kind of mapped the whole time. It was wild. Yeah, and then knowing exactly what her body's going through, her brain was going through. And actually feeling it.
Starting point is 00:23:12 Because, again, you can learn it from other people, but she actually, it was wild. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Do you guys have a podcast? You guys want to hit that one? Yep. Soor losers show. Talk about the Super Bowl.
Starting point is 00:23:22 There you go. We've had no teeth, Keith on the show, by the way. He's a huge 49er fan, so. Not a good day for him. It's going to be a sad call when we call him today. All right. Who made the most money on the Super Bowl out of you guys? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:23:36 You? I'm not. Out of you guys. Use guys. Eddie hit a square. I've hit a square for $200. And then I won 50 on my just regular baseball. bet. Pretty good day, man. Are you counting what you lost though? Yeah. I mean, I didn't
Starting point is 00:23:49 lose anything. I lost $10 on my prop beds. Yeah. Not bad. Put a dollar on it. Good for you. Yeah. What are we going to do with our money, bones? I'm going to hit a button and make that check coming to me. Oh, yeah. Unless I don't, then I'm going to bet it all and lose it all. Ray, do you want it? You can have it. There's always a college basketball game. I know. I'm not searching for things to bet on. Oh, dude, college, all the time, basketball, and then, pro basketball too and right now if you want
Starting point is 00:24:18 there's basketball in Lithuania right now oh my gosh you can bet that right they have a problem yeah I have a problem

Starting point is 00:28:43 Yeah, sure. Here we are. Let's see what's happening with everyone as we do what's the haps. Hey! Hey, what's the hats? Amy, I'm coming over. Over to you.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Okay, so, question. My kids are nine and 12, and I'm thinking about, you know, they need to protect themselves sometimes. So I'm just wondering if they're too young for pepper spray. Okay. Like to carry it in their backpack. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they are. I don't think, yes.
Starting point is 00:29:07 What about the 12-year-old? She's almost 13. They are, because here's the thing. They're going to experiment with it and do dumb things with it because they're kids. No. Yes. Oh, yeah. There's no way you seriously consider giving your.
Starting point is 00:29:21 No, I thought about it. No, I thought about it. And it was a question. My husband was like, no. I was like, well, I'm going to take this to the show because they know how to parent. Because I was like. Because they know how to parent. Well, for my daughter, I think, okay, yeah, in April, she's going to be 13 years old.
Starting point is 00:29:36 And I just worry about her sometimes and them being prepared. And if they feel threatened, like they have pepper spray in their backpack. But it's probably not even allowed at school. No, they would get kicked out of school. Yeah. Okay. The answer is no. Well, I should teach them at, like.
Starting point is 00:29:51 least how to use it. Okay, you're the mom. You get to decide, right? But I'm going to say this, that if you give them pepper spray, they're going to want to use the pepper spray. It's going to be like a toy that they just have to play with in their bag. And a weapon, which is what that is, is not a toy to be messing around. I know.
Starting point is 00:30:12 So I'm going to say no. But what are we supposed to do as parents? Give them like a taser. Right, that'd be cool. Brass knuckles, you know, something a little. No, of course not. Just teach them to do. run or call it at this point run gets help or worst case scenario how to quickly defend yourself
Starting point is 00:30:29 okay but listen fighting itself for defense is not is overrated the way to fight for defense is one to run yeah it's if you have to defend yourself and it's like you teach someone to fight how to defend himself no no no no you teach someone how to get out if they need to use force quickly it's like because you know i have a boxing coach a teacher and sometimes we'll do self-defense stuff because the guys get a little lippy with me sometimes, not because I do anything, but because they're drunk and I'm like, my girlfriend listens to you and I don't think you're worth the crap. So all we work on is, want to get out. So it's little tricks like that. So you can always teach them self-defense stuff like, all right, if someone comes up to you, you know how to do it.
Starting point is 00:31:07 This is how to, but no, no pepper spray. Now stop it, stop it. How did I? Okay, I was just asking. Okay, let's vote. All in favor of pepper spray, say aye. I. I mean, just think. I mean, you'll get, they'll be safe and you don't have to worry about them when they're walking down the street, you'd be like, you know what? They're protected. They're going to come with pepper in their own eyes. For sure. Opposed? No, nay. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Hey. Hey. What's the hat? When I do my cereal power rankings, O's is up there, like O's. But my number one cereal is cinnamon toast crunch. Like if I get to have a cereal with no guilt whatsoever, my number one cereal is cinnamon toast crunch. And I love ice cream. I think if my life if I had to pick my four favorite food groups, soup, smoothies, ice cream, and meat. Like that would be the four. So when I can combine cereal and they have a new cinnamon toast crunch flavored ice cream. How great does that sound?
Starting point is 00:32:08 And it fits one of my food groups, ice cream. Of course. And my favorite cereal cinnamon toast crunch. They posted images and I just, I don't come on and this is mostly a Morgan number two thing which talks about food. But I did see that. also having cinnamon toast crunch coffee creamer. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:25 I don't like coffee, but when I do mostly have a little bit of coffee with a lot of creamer. So again, this is right up my alley. So I just thought I would share this. The bad news is there's basically nothing else I know about this right now. But there will be cinnamon toast ice cream and cinnamon toast coffee cream. I'm thinking in the meantime, now that you've given people the craving, they could just get some vanilla ice cream, buy some cinnamon toast crunch and mash it all together. Well, they do that.
Starting point is 00:32:49 At Amy's. It jinnies or Amy's, ice cream places that we're close to. They're like called crunchins or added or whatever they are. Hey. Hey! What's the hat? Lunchbox. Man, I'm about to be rich.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Walking around the neighborhood, walking the dog and the baby, and I look down and there's a nickel on the ground. And I pick it up. And I was like, oh, it must be foreign money. And I put it on Instagram. No, it turns out it's a buffalo head nickel. And it's worth thousands of dollars. What? Wait, you found a nickel.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Are you serious? Come on. You found a nickel worth thousands of dollars. of dollars. Dude, I thought it was foreign money and I was going to throw it away and everybody on Instagram's like, no, dude, that's a buffalo head nickel. There are a lot of Buffalo Head. We were just calling Buffalo Nichols in Arkansas. They might have reissued those.
Starting point is 00:33:30 Well, and so, like, they're around 10 bucks. If you'd have a, I mean, listen, yours could be a thousand. No, no, you Google Buffalo Head Nichols and there are ones that are going for thousands of dollars. Agree, but most of them, it's like if you found a baseball card and you went, though, there's one $300,000
Starting point is 00:33:46 just a Hunness Wagner. Right. No. I remember that card. And it's worth more than that. But you're like, that's one. That's like the most valuable. I think most Buffalo Head nickels are around 10, 15. You found a really good nickel. But I don't know about thousands. I would get it checked out. It could be. But I don't get it checked out. Can we get a coin? Ooh, expert. To come up here. Scoobie Steve can book anybody. Hey, Scoobie Steve, Raymond just ask him if he's not next to you. Can we find somebody in town that can value coins? Coin collector, yeah, yep. And then have them come to the studio and do it live on the air.
Starting point is 00:34:19 thumbs up. That will be the greatest segment. Oh, man. It's like antique road show. Live. Woo, I'm going to get paid. There is somewhere in town called the Nashville Gold and Coin Buyers Coin Dealer.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Exactly. Thousands of dollars he'll pay me. Dude, that would be, I would love it if that were the case. Let's do it. That's a great bit. That's a great segment. We'll try to do it this week. Hey, what's the hatch?
Starting point is 00:34:41 Sometimes I do get recognized and it's really cool. Like out in public, people are like, oh, hey, you're Eddie from the Bobby Bone show. I love that. But yesterday at church, The craziest thing. I got recognized by, I think she might have been maybe six, seven years old. And she goes, hey, are you the guy from the planet song?
Starting point is 00:35:00 Oh. Here's the, I turn the down for one second. So Eddie and I did a kid's record. And one of the songs was the planet song where we did this rap about the order of the planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, all the way down. And so it was kind of like an old school 90s rap to learning. And that's where this. is right here.
Starting point is 00:35:24 We shot a music video at this planetarium. Really cool and we kind of look like with Beastie Boys a little bit. And I guess she says that she sees it at school and she's like, I recognize you from the planet song. I'm like this. Now that's another level. That's cool to me. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:35:38 That's awesome. Here you go. A little fast and though so hot and slightly colored gray. And right behind it is Venus planet two you say. The Roman goddess of beauty is where I got its name. The whole planet is burning. It's basically a flame. And then we go from planet two to planet.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Number three, put your hands in the air. Yo, Earth, can you hear me? So, yeah, we'll put the video up, Bollybones.com. That's fun. Yeah. Our big, because we did a kid's album called The Raging Kiddiots. Our big smash was called When I Grow Up. Oh, she said she was a big fan of when I grow up, too.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Kids will do this as, like, their end of the year show or, you know, they'll sing this song at their school. Like their music director will get the choir to do it. And I still see them show this video in classrooms still. It's amazing. That is pretty weird to get noticed Once I was in an airport in Toronto Because we're on a bunch of Canadian radio stations And I was going up there to meet with the company
Starting point is 00:36:43 And someone stopped me in the airport And he goes, hey, I know you And I'm in Toronto Nobody knows anything in Toronto And I'm like, you do? And she was like, yeah, wow And I was like, from the radio? She said, no, American Idol, no
Starting point is 00:36:59 Do you get dancing with the stars? She goes, yeah, about I don't know from that And I was like, what is it? She goes from the E, the reality show on E that you were. And I did one episode of this dumb reality show. Which one? For Very Cavaleri. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:11 That's crazy. She was like, I recognize you from that. And I was like, oh, I'm sorry about that. That's funny. Congratulations, dude. Oh, thank you. All right, there you go. Hey, what's the hat?
Starting point is 00:37:21 All right. Here we are. It's a tough one this morning to wake up. Late night for a lot of you folks, including us. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. A little drama on in. Instagram over the weekend. I had, as I was just dating my now girlfriend, I didn't share, and I haven't shared people that I just would date a little bit because some, a very select few
Starting point is 00:37:48 listeners would do stuff that would make me uncomfortable. Go to their page. Go find their parents. And it would just be, and it's not most of our listeners, because most of them are really awesome, but it's a few of them that would make it kind of uncomfortable for everyone. So a long time ago, I just decided I'm not putting anything public until it's like, for real. For real, for real. So I said on the show a couple weeks ago, I said, hey, I have a girlfriend now. I've been dated for a bit and went from dating to girlfriend. And I was like, man, I'm not going to post anything yet.
Starting point is 00:38:15 And so I finally reposted a story of hers. But it was just me. She wasn't even the story. I posted a story of hers of me because I thought I would nail a pretty good funny high kick. And I was like, well, this is funny. So people started messaging her. Well, there were just some listeners some really mean messages. What?
Starting point is 00:38:30 I know. Why would they do that? It's just a numbers game. I don't think most of them were. No, yeah. And just factually inaccurate stuff too. Also, here's the thing. Let's not send her a message telling her what other exes she looks like.
Starting point is 00:38:46 Let's not send her a message telling her that I have multiple girlfriends. What? Right. All of this was happening. And it just isn't. So how did she handle that? Like, does she text you, call you and say, hey, I'm getting these messages? We talked a little bit.
Starting point is 00:39:01 It's just uncomfortable for her because she's never had something like this happen. Right. Yeah. Where she had dated someone that's so public and talks about their life. So I try to find a happy balance. But 0% of her was like, I mean, she knows that it's just listeners that don't know what they're talking about. And they're being like, no part of her was like, so they're saying you have other girlfriends. Do you?
Starting point is 00:39:25 I don't think she believed it. No. Yeah, because she shouldn't. It's just a whole new world to be opened up to where she's like, wait, what? What? Because I was like, I did date people. You know, then it's like you have to have these conversations that you must have. But it's like, no, it's not true.
Starting point is 00:39:39 She never believed it was true. But then I just felt guilty it was happening to her. Right. So that's all. So I will start to post pictures. And I did link her. She's still private on Instagram. But I just ask that everybody be nice.
Starting point is 00:39:52 Yeah. Or I'll just shut it down and not share. No. I know. I mean, I think people would prefer that you share. Well, I have to share. I can't live my life fully and hold things back because I can't remember what I'm holding back for the most part. When do you see her again?
Starting point is 00:40:10 Thursday. Oh, are you excited? Yeah. Like you feel it? Yeah. That's good. Uh-huh. You like that feeling?
Starting point is 00:40:18 Yeah. I mean, it's uncomfortable for me. But you're leaning into it. Yeah. I feel pretty good about it. Yeah, it's weird. I feel really good about it. I know it's weird to feel good about it.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Do you have therapy this week? I'm done Tuesday. Perfect. So you'll get some therapy in, then she'll arrive on Thursday. I definitely am more open to anything and everything than I ever have been. I think this is the first time I've been pretty healthy going into a relationship going, well, who knows where this could go? It could be an amazing, amazing relationship. Whereas other times, what did you go into it as?
Starting point is 00:40:50 Ain't no way this is working out. Even though it was great. I mean, like, I'm just, you know, I dated. I mean, and that's like you were like, let's just use an example of the one girl you're with for four years. You had that? Like, you're just kind of, I mean, why do you keep going out with somebody? Because it was, I don't know, I mean, I don't know. I don't know the answers to these questions.
Starting point is 00:41:09 I just would, we dated for four years and I moved to Nashville. And I was like, nah, I don't think it's time to move. And then we broke up. And it wasn't my best moment, but I wasn't there. I wasn't comfortable with that. And now you're there. Do you think? And she lives in California.
Starting point is 00:41:24 She's from Oklahoma, but she'll live in California for a little bit. But I'm good with it. Like, I'm open to everything. Go ahead. Hit me with something. I don't know. I mean, I guess I'm just curious. Like, do you have thoughts?
Starting point is 00:41:43 This might be too much. Go ahead. Because I know you probably don't ever let yourself. But I know your therapist was like, you handle things backwards. Like some people are like, oh my gosh, I'm probably going to marry this person. Whereas you're like, uh,
Starting point is 00:41:53 and then you gradually get back. Well, me, it's been a gradual. It's been the, my therapist called me the Benjamin buttons of relationships because when I, I dates him, I'm like, this is never going to work. Let me list a ways. Right. And then I slowly feel like, oh, wow, this is going good.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Okay. So, have your brain even gone to like an imaginary you're married to her? Sure. Oh, okay. What did you imagine? Well, I mean, I didn't plan the wedding in my head. What did you imagine? Paint the picture. That's good, though. That's great. Because I think you have
Starting point is 00:42:23 such control over your brain that, like, I don't see you ever really letting yourself imagine that. Did you call her about my birthday? No. Oh. Are you telling the truth right now, Amy? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Yes. Okay. Yes. Okay. I thought we talked about this. I know, and you were like, I need to call her. And I was like, okay, go and I mean, I do. But I mean, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:44 Yeah. We got two months. That's true. Exactly. But this is going to be the biggest birthday bash ever. Yeah. So two months may maybe not be enough. I know, but see, you, how do you see yourself celebrating 40?
Starting point is 00:42:55 Big, massive. Big birthday bash or like. Yeah. Intimate. Okay. Oh, wow. Yeah. Anything less? Don't even bother. Just don't even wake me up.
Starting point is 00:43:06 I'll just wake up April 3rd and be like, well, I'm ready to go. I'm 40 now. Have you imagined kids with her? Yeah. Wow. Y'all have cute kids. Have you imagined that part? No, but she's 28. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:43:23 And so I also, that's a good age for me. because I dated a few 25, 26 year old, which is too young for me. 28, you can get together, you can do whatever, got a few years before you have to start pumping out babies if you do get married. But, yeah, you were, you said 28 to 70.
Starting point is 00:43:44 Mm-hmm. Was your wheelhouse. Okay, where you found some, okay. And then I saw on Taylor Swift's, like, fan pages on Instagram, you know, she's got her boyfriend, but she's not very public with it at all. But in the documentary, a lot of fans were saying, oh my gosh, wow, she's really happy.
Starting point is 00:44:02 And some people were wanting to post a bunch of stuff about them, but I saw fans like other fans talking to the other fans like, hey, guys, we got to rally together and protect Taylor. We got to protect this for her. She needs this. So maybe that's what we do with our listeners is we rally them to protect you. But really, like, 95% of them have been very protective of her.
Starting point is 00:44:22 And I appreciate that. Yes. But some are like going deep dive and finding like family. photos and like posting them and like this is our cousin. What? And it's just like that's not cool. You know, it's weird. And she has, we've had, her and I've had the talk. She's like, listen, anything about our relationship, let's, I'm good with it. I wouldn't date you if I didn't want it to,
Starting point is 00:44:36 you to do what you do. But for her, the weird stuff is like, but my, my mailman didn't ask to be made public. Do you think she'll ever come on the show? I think, I mean, eventually, I'm sure if we're together a long time, I don't have plan. For the first time, I don't have plans like, all right, let's bring her up. How do you feel about the first time? fight last night. You know, I don't plan on that right now. Being a little sensitive to that. Mature. Thank you. Very mature these days. More mature. But one day we can have y'all like to do the
Starting point is 00:45:06 dating game. Yeah, when are, when is everyone going to meet her? You've already met her. You've not me. Not me. But I felt like me. We were on the road. So it's like I had to meet her because she was there. But when are you going to bring her to the house and we'll have a dinner? Everybody can meet her. It's a lot of pressure. I did because she has family and I met her brother and it's great. I don't But I don't have family that I'm like, hey, meet my family, except for basically you and Amy and my dog. So Amy's next. You want to just come by this weekend? You're going to be home?
Starting point is 00:45:36 Yeah. We are. Okay. Bring her by. Pop in. I'll put a bow on her. Be like, here she is. Yeah, so that was the drama.
Starting point is 00:45:44 Let's just be nice. If I do post her, let's just be nice. Yes. We need to protect this. Yeah. Because it's actually going pretty good. I'm excited that you're excited for her to come. Yeah, she's cool.
Starting point is 00:45:59 She seems school. I've only... She cool. I've been following her on. Morgan number one is like wants to be best friends with her. So that's a good sign. Like the people that I'm with a lot traveling, wants to be best friends with her.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Yeah. Okay, we're done. We're done in this segment. Starting point is 00:49:49 The Bobby Bones show. Big three stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? In health news, a couple in California have brought the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. to 11 now. In London, a man was wearing a fake bomb and injured people with a knife before cops were finally able to shoot him. And finally, congrats to the Kansas City Chiefs. They won the Super Bowl 31 to 20 over the San Francisco 49ers.
Starting point is 00:50:16 Back to you, Bones. Bobby Bones. Come on. over to Katie right now who's on the phone. Katie, good morning. What's happening with you? Good morning, Bobby. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Morning. Oh, that's so cool. Okay, so I was just calling to see if you have any interview advice because I started a three-day-long PhD interview today. You know, one of the most commonly asked questions is what do I do during an interview. And in an interview, the person wants to know that you are qualified, obviously, but also educated on what you're going to have to do in the job. And the best way to show, I don't care what you're doing. If you're a school teacher or a PhD or you're working an enterprise
Starting point is 00:50:57 rent a car, whatever the case is, if you go in asking a lot of questions, it's like you're already on level two. You're going in, you're talking to the person. You're going, hey, I already know what's up. Let me ask some questions. Because they expect you to come in and sit there and just be asked to. I gave me, if I was interviewing you and I went, You're just going to come in and be like, boy, I'm going to get a lot of questions. But if you come in and take control and be like, hey, I have a lot of questions about this job. It's just going to seem like you are more comfortable, more confident, and that you already are at that second part of the interview, which is you having questions.
Starting point is 00:51:34 So the best advice I can give is to go on and ask a lot of questions. Because you're not going to seem dumb. They're not going to go, oh, this person's uneducated. They're going to go, wow. This person cares. They are so into it. They have a lot of questions, too. and maybe they have options.
Starting point is 00:51:48 Maybe they're asking questions. And then all of a sudden they're like, wow, they have options, but I want them more. Because you know that the human part of it is you want somebody who maybe doesn't want you as much. Right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:57 So that would be my advice for any interview situation. Does that make sense? It does. What do you think about that? What are you nervous about? Well, mostly it's like a three-day-long thing. So it's like constant interviews. And then even when you think that you're like not going to be interviewed,
Starting point is 00:52:14 there's like even graduate students that are, currently in the program will take us out to dinner. And that's also like a low-key interview. So I feel like I've just always got to be ready. Well, here's the second tip. Second level of this is smile because people always want to be around people that make them feel better. And if you go and you're just a generally happy person, you have to be goofy.
Starting point is 00:52:38 But if you're pleasant to be around, it makes people want to be around you in any way possible. I mean, think about the people that are around you that you, that you live. like to just be around. It's those that are happy, pleasant, that when times get tough, they're still up. So I would also encourage you to smile as much as you can when it's not awkward. You don't want to go on like the Joker and be like he he-he-ha-ha. But ask questions and smile. It is so basic in elementary that a lot of times people forget to do it. When I work with these singers on American Idol, I often have to go back because they are at this point in their career, they're a bit matured. as far as getting on stage of performing.
Starting point is 00:53:19 But what happens is they start to go, I need to be even further up. I need to do these little things different. And I have to remind them to breathe. I have to remind them that don't forget the most basic things. Because if you don't remember doing the most basic things, you're going to forget the seventh eighth thing you're supposed to do. Right.
Starting point is 00:53:34 So I have to remind them to, just like I'm saying, smile and ask questions, before they go on the stage, I'm like, okay, I know you want to hit these notes. I know maybe you're going to play guitar and it's a pretty tough part. I know you want, but if you don't remember to breathe, because as soon as the lights come on or as soon as you walk into this interview and you go,
Starting point is 00:53:49 and you're not even breathing right, nothing else matters. So that's what I'm going to reset you with. Do all the basics right. You wouldn't be there if you didn't deserve to be there. Get you breathe and smile and ask questions. Okay, Katie.
Starting point is 00:54:04 Okay, great. Thank you guys. You've just been mentored. We need a clip. You don't like that? Do you do. Mentored. No, it's good.
Starting point is 00:54:15 All right. All right, Katie, have a good morning. You too. All right, bye-bye. There you go. Good. Bobby Blum. All right, time for Amy versus Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:54:23 We ask Amy three questions for dudes. We asked Lunchbox three questions for the ladies. And up first is Lunchbox. Here we go. Lunchbox. Which celebrity created Fenty Beauty? Which celebrity created Fenty Beauty? Oh, Fenty Beauty would be Bethany-Birty.
Starting point is 00:54:49 Oh, interesting. Incorrect. That was close. Amy, you can still. You see Fenty a lot of places, which celebrity created it. You do? You see it a lot of places. Shoot.
Starting point is 00:55:00 Fergie. Furgy? Oh, interesting. No, it is actually Rihanna. No point, no steal. Shoot. Lunchbox. Seventh Generation.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Mrs. Myers and Method are brands of what? Seventh Generation. Mrs. Myers and Method are brands of what? Yeah, when you're going to go pick up some method, you're going to go pick up some lipstick. Lipstick. Lipstick. Show me lipstick. No, Amy.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Like household cleaning products. Exactly. Cleaning products, it is. Lunchbox, we're going to go to Starbucks. What's the largest size that you can get at Starbucks? What's the largest size on the Starbucks menu that you can request. What's the largest size
Starting point is 00:55:49 you can get at Starbucks? Grande? Grande. Incorrect. Amy. Trenta. Yeah. That's right.
Starting point is 00:55:58 I wouldn't. What's Trenta? It's bigger than Vinti. So it goes tall, grande, Vente, Trenta. Wait, it goes largest. Tall? Tall?
Starting point is 00:56:08 That's what I get. When I get my drink, I get a tall, dirty chai latte with two shots of espresso, almond milk, one shot of raspberry. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Tall. Yeah. Oh. Okay. I get the tall. That's a small. But the Vinti and the Grande, they don't make no sense at all. Oh, interesting.
Starting point is 00:56:23 And then after the Vinti comes the Trenti or Trenta. That's like a big gulp. Yeah, it's really big. I don't know how many ounces it is, but I would consider it to be the extra large. 31. Oh, it is? Oh, wow. Whoa, it's a lot of coffee.
Starting point is 00:56:37 31 ounces? You can get it in tea, too. I get a, sometimes I get an unsweetened green iced tea, Trenta. Dang, how many weeks take you drink that? Let's go to Amy. Now, here we go. Three questions for Amy. Amy, midfielder, forward, and defender are all positions in what sport?
Starting point is 00:57:00 Midfielder, forward, and defender are all positions in what sport? I don't know, but it sounds like soccer, so I'm just going to go with that. Nice. Amy, where would you find a motherboard? By the way, for the record, I believe this is a sexist question, because I don't think this is a question that only dude should get. I think that women and men both can learn about computers, but we just Googled questions for dudes. I think it's the sexist question.
Starting point is 00:57:29 So are you taking it out? No, because you've already won 3 to 0. You can't possibly lose. Okay. But my only opinion is to ask this, and the women part of it. Yeah, like women can be coders and. I got into a deal with,
Starting point is 00:57:41 I'm not going to say who it was, but I was doing an endorsement for someone. And there were, and it was a lot of things like, when your husband's away on business and when your wife is at home doing, and I was like, I'm not, doing this commercial.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Like we can switch it up. Yeah, times have changed. Yeah. So, Amy, you can answer it though just as a general trivia question. The motherboard is a computer. Nice. Well, you... You said computer.
Starting point is 00:58:07 I know. Or did you find a motherboard. Oh, it doesn't matter. You've won anyway. You've already clenched. And what sport would you associate the name Nadal? Tennis. There you go.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Even if you didn't get motherboard, you'd won four. You have four points. There's our winner. Amy, she wins again. Finally. It is finally. Amy, 8 to 6 is where we are. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:58:33 And we're retiring the game after this. Oh, wow. Dunzo? After this, we're done with Amy versus lunchbox. The new heat is elder versus millennial. Oh, lunchbox, we've been replaced. Yeah, that's what happens. It's all right.
Starting point is 00:58:45 It happens, Amy. The new heat. You guys get old and the millennials come out. No, you're old, dude. Oh, that's right. That's true. But that's a spinoff. It's like young Sheldon.
Starting point is 00:58:53 You guys are like Big Bang Theory. You're really dominated. Held your spot. And, you're the old old old. And young Sheldon comes along, and now people are just gravitated into that. Yeah. But Amy, congratulations, eight to six. Amy versus lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:59:05 There she is. Good to win, Amy. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 seconds skinny. Dan and Shea performed at Miami's Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest on Saturday, and after meeting Demi Lovato backstage, she decided to come up and perform their song, speechless with them.
Starting point is 00:59:23 Here's them practicing backstage beforehand. Kelsey Ballerini shared an acoustic cover of her favorite song right now. Pop artist Love's song Changes. Changes. They might drive you half insane, but it's killing you to stay the same. But it's all going to... Merrin Morris has had to stay away from a food that she really loves during her pregnancy. One food thing that's been tough to enjoy that I've kind of stayed away from during pregnancy has been any sort of seafood.
Starting point is 01:00:05 I used to love salmon and any sort of like fish dish. And recently, I just can't smell it without, like, getting sick. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skin. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. An elementary teacher in Florida just became an American citizen,
Starting point is 01:00:26 and she did it with the support of her entire school in the courtroom. Anne-Marie Small came to the U.S. 18 years ago from Jamaica, dreaming of a better life for her and her son. In a speech to the courtroom, as she became a U.S. citizen, she said her school was what taught her about being an American. Small said she hopes her students always remember the main lesson she learned about the American dream. Quote, it doesn't matter if you're from a different country, everybody's the same. In the room were her fourth grade students both past and present to support their teacher.
Starting point is 01:00:56 They all celebrated with a party afterward. Wow. Yeah. I love that. You know, the thing, too, is we're all from another country. all of us. Yes. Unless you're a Native American,
Starting point is 01:01:08 you ain't from here. Like, we're all from somewhere else. It was just at what point did we get here? And so, love it. Love it, love it, love it. We're all immigrants. You know where you're from, Bones?
Starting point is 01:01:21 Yeah, and you know, I went to Ireland. I was looking for other me's. Did you find them? I didn't see any. When I did my 23 of me, it was as white and as European as you could possibly be. It was like Europe and, London in England.
Starting point is 01:01:35 Yeah. And it was like, took a dart and it was like, okay, what's the most Caucasian thing we could throw? Wham! Up, there it is. And I walked down, I was like, anybody know, I need to look for family?
Starting point is 01:01:45 Nothing. You know where the McBones family's from? You know where the old boneses are in Ireland? Oh. Yeah, that's me. You? Oh, I mean, I'm Mexican is the nearest, but I mean, I go back to Spain and
Starting point is 01:01:59 all that. Very European. I'm also, I mean, my 23 to me was. all over the place. I did have some like sub-Saharan African in there. Yeah. So you can probably see that. For sure. First thing I saw it. Especially when you're going to spray tan. Yeah, it really
Starting point is 01:02:14 pops. Amy, you? I'm Irish. Yeah? Lunchbox. Irish? French. Bohemian. Oh, bohemian. I'm mostly German. Yeah? Yeah. There we go. Wow, you three are Irish. That's crazy. My point is, is that we're all from somewhere else. We're probably related.
Starting point is 01:02:34 That would be cool. That's what's all about. That was tell me something good. Bobid Bones Show. Bone Head. Story up the day. This story comes to us from Arizona. A 62-year-old man hates sitting in traffic.
Starting point is 01:02:48 He's driving every morning. He's like, man, I like that HOV lane. Looks pretty nice. But I don't have a passenger. So he went out and bought a fake skeleton, put a bucket hat on him, some clothes, strapped him into the passenger seat.
Starting point is 01:02:59 But he got pulled over. I bet a lot of people don't get pulled over for doing this. For sure. It's a funny picture, too. It's hilarious. The bucket hat's my favorite. That's really funny. Like a fisherman?
Starting point is 01:03:09 Yeah, like the dude's just going to be chilling in a bucket hat. You see the picture? That's really funny. There you go. Oh, I'm lunchbox. That's your Bunhead story of the day. A lot of you guys are asking questions from the text line. I have a screen that sees all the text.
Starting point is 01:03:33 Morgan number two has a screen, the same screen that sees all the same text. And so she notes a lot of these and let's answer some of them. Here we go. Question number one. What happened to Will at Uber? So Will it Uber was a segment. We would try to send funny things in the car and see if it would Uber places. Things like from lunchbox being in the trunk to Ubering a stew.
Starting point is 01:03:52 What happened was I started to get really low Uber ratings. And I have to use Uber for work. So I'm not using my account anymore because it's affecting me able to get from point A to point B in my life. So if someone else wants to volunteer their Uber account, I wouldn't mind bringing that segment back. But that's why we don't do it anymore because my ratings started to go way down. So that is what happened. Thank you for your question. What else?
Starting point is 01:04:16 Why did Amy adopt through Haiti and not America? Ooh, a question that we hit about once every six months. Amy has two kids. About two years ago, they came to America. After about a five-year process of getting them from Haiti, Amy. Okay, so we were adopting domestically. We were unable to get pregnant. We didn't want to pursue IVF or any other fertility treatments.
Starting point is 01:04:38 We did a little bit work with that, but then decided adoption was probably what we should do. We were adopting a newborn domestic baby. And that ironically was taking forever. And in that time frame, I went to Haiti to work, like on a mission trip to work at this orphanage. And I saw a need there for older kids. Older as anybody that's like two and a half, three years old and up. Like all the babies were spoken for or matched. But I felt like, oh my gosh, like what is going to happen to these kids? Some of them age out and they grow up and they don't have a family. And I went home. My husband, I talked about it. We were like, are we, could this, could we be someone that takes in an older kid from an orphanage? And we both decided that,
Starting point is 01:05:21 yeah, we felt like we could do that. So we decided to give it a try. And we're still figuring it out. And it took years and years and years. Yeah. Amy would just go, I got to go to Haiti. So she would go and I went about four or five times a year for five years. And so yeah, it was it was one of things. I think it's put on your heart, you just know. And then. then we we put our domestic adoption on hold and pursued that. And that's what we went after. Because for us, I think honestly, you either, it's not for everybody. And sometimes I don't even know that it's for us.
Starting point is 01:05:55 But I think you kind of have to feel it in your heart if that's what you should do. And that's, we listen to our heart. The answer is, the quick answer is they were doing a mission trip in Haiti, were moved. I saw a need that I didn't really, without going there, I didn't know that was a need. I didn't know some kids actually. Like my daughter was, you know, six. By the time she came here, she was 10, some of those kids, then they're 12, then they're 13.
Starting point is 01:06:18 And then people are like, oh, you know, everybody wants a baby or a young one. And they can be, you know, and I just couldn't imagine them growing up and turning 18 and then just being in the streets. It would just what happens to some people. Morgan number two, next question. How is it determined who talks on the show? Well, I think it all goes to Amy and I first.
Starting point is 01:06:40 So we talk about it and then mostly it's who has an opinion about something who what would you say? I don't know that there's a real method to our madness. It just starts with Amy and I and kind of seeps out. Sometimes if it's like Morgan number two, like if it's a young female thing. Oh for sure.
Starting point is 01:06:59 I'll go, hey, it's Morgan number two thing. I'll go over to her. If it's a real dad thing, I'll go to Eddie. Eddie's got four kids. If it's about casinos and gambling or lottery tickets. You know, we kind of all have our specialty as well. I go to Lunchbox. So if it's about movies, we'll go to Mike.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Everybody kind of has their area of expertise. So I think that's how. Also, people will say, hey, have an idea for a segment. And if they have the idea for a segment and it gets used, they get on the air for that too. I think that's probably how it goes for the most part. I think you'd like to add? Yeah, no, that sounds about right?
Starting point is 01:07:37 Mostly I just go to Amy and go, what do you think? Sometimes I'm like, I have no idea. All right, what else? All right, last one. What is Bobby's thoughts on the evolution of country music or, as people know it, pop country music? My thoughts on the evolution of country music. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:07:54 That this has never not been a discussion. Meaning for the history of country music, it has always been a discussion of this ain't country music. It's never not been a discussion. We're not in this new area of, well country just sucks now people have always said that about any art by the way period where there are eras and themes every art is considered garbage by somebody who's in a different area it's funny to watch hip hop go through the same thing because we're handling that country music and you have
Starting point is 01:08:29 guys oh that's not country when anyone says that's not country i i laugh at that because okay you're the you are the expert of all art to me what what country music is, is wonderful, authentic storytelling and music. That's what it means to me. Now, it may mean to you a banjo. Now, you're not wrong, but I'm not wrong either. Within art, there is no right or wrong. That's the beauty of it.
Starting point is 01:08:56 And people that consume it are dictating where it goes. So when Garth was blowing up, people were like, that's not country music. They said the same thing to Garth. They said the same thing to Johnny Cash. All of this that's happening right now has always happened. And when it stops happening, that's when it dies. Whenever people stop getting mad about where country music is going, that's when it dies. You never want to stop having this conversation.
Starting point is 01:09:22 Because when everyone's happy and satisfied, that means it's just in a place and it's not moving. Sometimes it moves in directions. It has to correct itself. Sometimes it goes in wonderful places to you, but not to me. So as soon as people stop going, well, it sucks. It's going to die. You want it to always be like that. You want people always challenging art.
Starting point is 01:09:41 Because otherwise, without art being challenged, art stagnates and just dissipates. And it is. So when people get into those fights, I'm like, that's where it should be. People should be having these fights. That's what's amazing about it. Any art. Country music is, we're in that, so it's a big deal to us. And I know that's a weird way to think about it.
Starting point is 01:10:00 But jazz music is a good example. It never evolves. So now it's like, that's dead. Who listens to that? That's a great example. And I don't listen to jazz. It didn't involve to me. It was huge. In the 30s, in the 40s.
Starting point is 01:10:10 Yeah. Gone. So, yeah. And for all of you out there, when you hear a song, that's not country music, you're not right. You're also not wrong. Because to you, that's not country music. And art is where we hold it and what it means to us in that spot. We all have our walls for the art that we like and how we feel about it.
Starting point is 01:10:29 And if it doesn't fit within your walls, it's okay for it not to be that to you. And if it doesn't fit in enough people's walls, then it, people dictate where it goes by spending money on it. So my real country music would mean you make country with a rubber band and a stick in the literal country. Oh. And the literal with a bottle like an Andy Griffith. You know, that would mean what, but that's not what it means to most people.
Starting point is 01:10:53 Three chords in the truth. Oh, good one, Amy. Well, Amy came to me. I was like, what is it? Bobby taught me that. So that's why I would say it should be something to be addressed all the time because as soon as it's not, it's dead. When it's not a topic and people.
Starting point is 01:11:07 worried and balancing it back and forth, it just dies. So I love that it's a conversation. How do you feel about that answer? I feel like it's a good answer. But I mean, yes, keep the conversation going, keep the challenges there, especially for artists to like, you know, test their creativity, push their boundaries, see where they can go and that's awesome. But don't be annoying about it.
Starting point is 01:11:27 Oh, yeah, there are people that are very annoying about it. It's one thing to keep the conversation. Like, there's not a country. What I do is country. It's like an egg. Uh-huh. You know, you're right. But you're also wrong because it's somebody else. can be country. Right. So it's like a fine line. I'm with you on, yeah, wow,
Starting point is 01:11:41 keeping the, actually, yeah, keeping the conversation and challenging, it keeps it going and evolves it and makes it better to some, worse to some, but it keeps it going. But also, this is why I am the absolute best person for this job, because I have such respect for the history of country music. Right. Love it. Consider myself, I'm not Marty Stewart, but an elementary scholar of the history of country music. I also love the new side of it and the places it goes and the message. Because it's all about the message to me.
Starting point is 01:12:13 So, listen, when they brought in a steel guitar to country music, people were like, this is not country music. What are you talking about? When they put an amp with the steel guitar, they were like, this is not, this is against, but at the time, that was crazy. It's what a snaptrack is now on some of these songs. And someday we're going to be like,
Starting point is 01:12:31 people didn't think snaptracks were country? Anyway, Morgan number two, why'd you ask me that question? Now he's mad. Okay, is that it? Yeah. Okay, that's it for today. There we go. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 01:16:13 Dot E-DU slash military. I don't bet often, but I did bet the Super Bowl yesterday. Mostly because Eddie's got me on this app. Yeah. And it was already there. And I was like, you know, I'm watching it by myself. I'd been away for the last few days shooting American Idol. Flew back in right about time.
Starting point is 01:16:32 The Super Bowl was starting. And so I texted Eddie. I said, hey, I'm about to take the Chiefs. I'm about to bet Patrick Mahomes wins the MVP. And I'm going to bet that he thanks the city of Kansas City first. And Eddie's like, that's a dumb pick. And I was like, well, we'll just see. Who knows?
Starting point is 01:16:47 I thought he'd go God first. Well, I won all the bets. I woke up. I made so much money last night. And I posted my bet slip on my Instagram story. you guys want to go see it. Just go to Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram. You can follow me and see my story.
Starting point is 01:17:00 I told you. I told you when you bet. He always wins. He was like the best luck ever. I told Eddie, you guys want locks. You should come to me. That's true.
Starting point is 01:17:08 What does locks mean? Like 100% sure wins. Oh, you locked it in? I didn't. I just told Eddie. And I did. I was talking about it on Twitter and I posted it. Wow.
Starting point is 01:17:17 I mean, that's quite the prediction, though. You even got who he was going to thank first? Again, I just knew that the city of Kansas City was, and I had seen him. think people in the past, Patrick Mowned. And the Kansas City had a win of 50 years. Wow. So I was like, well, he's got to think the city first.
Starting point is 01:17:34 So anyway, let me tell you, pockets a little thicker this morning, boys. Are you going to tell us? It's on my Instagram story. How much you bet? Yeah. You put it up there? Well, then just say it.
Starting point is 01:17:45 Did you see how much, Eddie? Yeah. How much is it? Is it a lot? I mean, it's, yeah. I mean, I bet dollar bet, so, yeah, for me. I don't want to pull out my Instagram. You know, I'm not going to say it on the air.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Okay. It could sound braggie. Okay. Money is a weird thing to talk about. Yeah. But I'll post it on inside. But it's not a weird thing to post about, apparently. Ray, do you see my clip, my thing?
Starting point is 01:18:07 No, I'm going to check you during the commercial, though. All right. Did anybody else bet and win anything or everybody else losers? I won. I bet 50 bucks on it, so. Eddie posted the National Anthem, and then he was like, this is, she's going to sing over. And when she started, she was singing quick. I know.
Starting point is 01:18:23 She was like, oh, say, can you see? Eddie's a lot out of this one. And I heard a music track in the background. I'm like, that's it. She's not going to, because I figured she would go, ah, ah, do her little runs. For sure, it's going to be over two minutes. It's like 150.
Starting point is 01:18:35 Well, congratulations to the Chiefs. By the way, we did pick our teams. We thought we'd win the Super Bowl before it all started. Is this my clip? Go ahead. Oh, wow. I'm going to go with Kansas City. Oh, I love that.
Starting point is 01:18:48 Yeah, I'm going to go with Kansas City. I think Kansas City went Super Bowl. Thank you very much. Oh, wow. What's up? That's impressive. I know. Well, it was fun.
Starting point is 01:18:57 The game wasn't late. It was a good game. The commercials were good. Like, sneakily good. There were a lot of really good ones. The halftime show was really good. You know, if you're judging the halftime show just based on if they were singing live, well, you probably didn't love it.
Starting point is 01:19:11 But if you're basing it on how entertaining and dancing and fun it was, it was fantastic. I would give it an 8 at a 10. You know, I do like, I tweeted this last night. I like it when they turn their mic up in a moment so they can talk and they turn it back down. So it seems like it's all live. Oh, is that what happened? Shakira didn't really do that. But then J-Lo did, so I was like, wow, J-Lo's live, Shakira was lip-singing.
Starting point is 01:19:33 They were about, listen, if you're dancing, it's hard to sing. Because you're like, like, this. I just really felt like J-Lo was in great shape. I mean, she is. Lady Gaga beforehand was like, they better not lip-sink. And then they did the lip-sync because there were so much dancing. And then she had to get on Twitter and be like, hey, great show. Because then people were like, Lady Gaga said you go suck.
Starting point is 01:19:52 So it didn't, I don't care. It would sound terrible. Just entertain. That's the name of the game. You don't have to... There's a lot of components that go into entertaining. If you're playing instruments and you're not dancing on a lot, sing. If you're doing that, you almost have to lip sing.
Starting point is 01:20:07 And who cares? What are we talking about? Who are we to be like... All I know is that Shakira is 43 and J-Lo's 50 and they look amazing. Yeah. Like, I was like, okay. Whatever they're doing, sign me up. What they're doing is being very rich and having trainers and...
Starting point is 01:20:23 Dang it. food and I did see where her and Arod are going to get married though. He was so cute on Instagram. He was so proud of her. He posted a video from the field like jumping around and he was like, you killed it. Like, it was, I like them. How much of the game did you watch? All of it.
Starting point is 01:20:39 But I mean, I wasn't dialed in, but I was in the same room with the TV on the entire time, basically. Anybody at your house? Are you guys just chilling? Oh, was my sister. She came in town and my dad. And then my husband and kids. But my husband had to wake up at like 3.30. for a flight and then I wake up like sort of after that so we were like okay games over go to bed
Starting point is 01:21:00 well and I probably would have crashed too but I need to see if Patrick Mahom's going to think the city against the city and then when he did it took a minute for them to pay me out last night but I woke up this morning it was like that's the best when you wake up and you won't I'm just gonna lose it back nah not going out with that attitude do I just cash out have him send me a check yeah that's how it works and it's gonna take about a month to come in Ray bet on Trump like four years ago and still hasn't got paid. Yeah, sometimes those prop bets, something like that, it takes a little bit of time. If you pick the score.
Starting point is 01:21:31 A little bit of time. Ray, you were 19 when you won your bet. It's when he started his presidency. This is a long term. And yeah, Ray said that to get paid, doesn't he have to complete his term? Correct, yeah. Okay. Are you sure?
Starting point is 01:21:43 Absolutely. That's what they told me. So you're going to make thousands and thousands of dollars in November of this year. Right after I get married, correct. $40,000. Wow. There's no way. There's no way.
Starting point is 01:21:59 Right? There's no way. I just don't believe it. We've been through this for four years where you're going to get paid and you never do. You guys didn't believe the wedding either. That you were going to get married?
Starting point is 01:22:08 You can control that. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Okay, so Pamela Anderson and some producer do, John Peters, they have called it quits after 12 days of marriage. And Pam said they'd be very grateful for our support. as they take some time apart to re-evaluate their situation. What do you learn in that 12 days that you didn't already know that would alter your life decision
Starting point is 01:22:34 of getting married? That's a good question. Do you have any idea? I don't know. I started to wonder this because I was going over a list of the top five celebrity marriages that are the shortest. Okay. Dennis Hopper and Michelle Phillips nine days.
Starting point is 01:22:49 Who's Dennis Hopper? You know him if you Googled him. He's an old actor. Yeah. Older guy. But I don't know. I don't know. What do you look like?
Starting point is 01:22:57 Was he in Superman's? Like early Superman's? That's... Oh, I see him. Oh, okay. He's kind of like a goatee. He's kind of gray now, but he's old school. Rebel Without a Cause.
Starting point is 01:23:07 I don't know what it just says that. All right. I don't know what else. Share and... I've never even seen him. I'm like, oh, Rob Without a Cause. I don't even know what that is. That's an old one.
Starting point is 01:23:13 I just saw that and went, oh. Yeah. What else? Sharon Greg Allman nine days. What year was that? Like, this 50s? From the Allman Brothers? All right, what else?
Starting point is 01:23:25 Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman, nine days. Yeah, yeah. Nice. What else? Nicholas Cage and Erica Kiyoki, four days. Again, what is it to happen so you don't learn that then in that four days? And all of a sudden, does she just start farting after you get married and you're like, this is not for me? Like, is it, okay, go.
Starting point is 01:23:44 I don't know. Maybe he does. I don't, go ahead. Or, like, alcohol is involved. And it's not like a... Yeah, but they probably already knew that. But can you not get it annulled? I have two friends, Ross and Rachel.
Starting point is 01:23:53 And when they. They got married. They couldn't get it annul. I know, but they tried first. Maybe these people tried. And I don't know. Did Britney Spears and Jason Alexander get an annulment? They were only married for 55 hours.
Starting point is 01:24:05 Remember that? That one, though, makes a little more sense. Here's why. If you get married and you've been drinking, you go, oh, we should not have done that. Twelve days? You've probably been sober for at least 11 of those days afterwards. Well, that happened to your friends, right? Ross and Rachel, yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:19 It's just weird because she had a bunch of stuff drawn on her face. The whole thing It's a nutty situation You know how Vegas does Is that it Amy? Yeah So yesterday was Groundhog Day
Starting point is 01:24:30 And I have what Pucksitani Phil predicted And the like First of all He didn't show his shadow Which means that he That means there's an early spring And so that's something
Starting point is 01:24:42 But the other part of the story Is that Pita wants to replace The Groundhog with a robot Because they're doing They actually could because it's not like the groundhog comes up and goes, well, I saw my shadow. The animal comes up and they look and see if the shadow is there or not.
Starting point is 01:24:59 Yeah. So they want an animatronic groundhog because they feel like this puts the real ground hug under great stress. Well, the groundhog doesn't know what he's doing. I don't know what's happening with that animal. I don't know how good they're treating him. I'm sure he gets treated amazing. But is it better to be treated amazing by humans
Starting point is 01:25:18 or to be put in the wild and live a normal animal life? Because they're not domesticated. Yeah, that's true. The Super Bowl commercial about this, the for Jeep, did you see it last night? The Groundhog Day commercial, yeah. Yeah. We laughed out loud at that one.
Starting point is 01:25:32 I just saw USA Today voted at the best commercial. Really? Oh, really? I just felt like you didn't love that commercial unless you had seen the movie. Yeah. The same thing with the cartoon one last night. The, um, what's the cartoon?
Starting point is 01:25:46 Rick and Morty. I watched Rick and Morty, so I thought it was funny, but unless you watched Rick and Morty, you didn't really get the Pringles. You didn't really get that commercial. Oh, I probably didn't get it at all then. I guess I didn't get it because I don't remember. I thought it was really good. But it's like Groundhog Day. If you didn't watch the movie, you probably didn't get the commercial. That's where my dad was laughing
Starting point is 01:26:01 out loud with that one, probably. Because Groundhog Day, that movie was more, I mean, he was probably picking up some of that. Like, I thought it was good. But he laughed how loud, like hard at this, that commercial. Maybe you're right. Something to do with the movie. So a bar is getting some backlash because they have a controversial promotion going on.
Starting point is 01:26:20 they are giving discounted Corona beers for as long as the coronavirus is going on so the longer the virus stays the cheaper your beer is and people just think that's really insensitive way
Starting point is 01:26:32 to get people to come to your bar and drink because like 130 people have died from this virus your thoughts if you people die of a lot of stuff I don't I just think
Starting point is 01:26:45 it's fine everybody needs to stop worrying about backlash Whenever backlash is affecting how your, like their business, then they'll probably stop. Right now it's probably front lash because we're talking about it on the radio. I don't even know where the bar is. But it's not hurting anybody. Yeah, I'm not giving them promotion.
Starting point is 01:27:00 But it's not hurting anybody. I have no, I don't care. I just have real life things that I care about, not this. And I wouldn't get on Instagram and be like, hey, butthead. I just move on with my life. If you're upset about something that isn't hurting anybody, how about you just move on with your life? Now, if they were hurting someone, if it were a difference, I think I would probably have an opinion. Here's my opinion. I don't care. I don't even remember the story. That's how little I care.
Starting point is 01:27:23 I don't know what story you told, but I remember I didn't care when you told it. Okay. How do you feel about that? I prefer you remember stories I tell you, but it's fine. Okay. Okay, I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. Get you bong on. Get your bobby bones on.
Starting point is 01:27:38 Bobby bono. All right. Tell me something good comes up in the next 10 minutes. It's all about positivity. A group of students. hold their money together to get their teacher something really special. I saw this on Instagram and I shared it about 20 people because I was so moved by it. It's crazy. I know you're going to talk about it in a second. But I saw this video and was like, holy moly, that's a good video.
Starting point is 01:27:58 Move me. Last night during the Super Bowl, I cried twice before the game. I don't know what's wrong with me. Oh. Maybe I just didn't get a lot of sleep because I've been traveling the last couple days. I'm tired. There are a couple things that hit me last night hard. For some reason when the Rock was doing his announcements of the players, I started like a teary-eyed.
Starting point is 01:28:15 I don't know why. Interesting. I just think it's no sleep. Yeah. But this, I agree, this story is emotional. Did you watch the video, though? I haven't yet, but, well, the TikTok one, I haven't seen on, it's the same one that's on Instagram, you say? Yeah, I've probably a little longer version.
Starting point is 01:28:30 Okay. So, it's emotional for sure. The Rock's like, and here he, and I'm like, man, the Rock is. What did he say that was emotional? What? It was like this big, because he was like calling him out in the pregame. He was like, and here he is. He's not the people's champion
Starting point is 01:28:47 He's the people's tied in George Kidd. And I'm like, I'm going to get up right away this whole life It's a big moment. I don't know why. And then when the kid,
Starting point is 01:28:57 I tell you, the kid was running out before the Super Bowl and he did the and he's running through and all the players were throwing the ball. It's like
Starting point is 01:29:03 and he takes the football out. There are a few times in that I was choked up. When he stopped in front of Tillman's statue was a big one because, you know,
Starting point is 01:29:11 Tillman was, he left the NFL to go fight for the military and died in combat. And he stopped there and then him and all his other kid friends ran out. And I was like, I'm with me, man. All of a sudden I get a girlfriend and I'm super emo. Is that what it is?
Starting point is 01:29:31 Maybe you're in touch with your emotions. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Oh man, there's a video. It's on TikTok, Instagram, on news stories. Like, it will bring you to tears because this Nebraska teacher had his show. stolen, like a pair of Nike's, and then he gets a card from his students and he starts reading
Starting point is 01:29:54 it. And then he opens up the package. And it's a pair of Nike Zoom basketball shoes. The kids all pitched in like $115 and gifted the shoes to the teacher. And it just like he had to take off his glasses because he started crying. And it's just really special because he must mean a lot to the kids for them to pitch in and do that after his shoes were stolen. I was so moved by this video. I sent it to like 19 friends. I was like, watch this guy cry. It's awesome. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:21 It's a sports center has it up on their feed. We'll put it up ours on Facebook too. And all the kids come in to hug them. I get into these videos. There's another one I watch where the coach is like, all right, everybody come in. It was senior night in high school. And the coach is like, we know, we're going to do something special. We're going to make our manager dress out.
Starting point is 01:30:38 And all the guys are, yeah, and they jump and whatever. And I'm like, well, that's cool. Then you slide to the next video, and he gets to the end of the game. And he crosses the dude over. and the dude like stumbles to the side and he jacks up a three, he nails it. And the whole student section comes running on the floor.
Starting point is 01:30:52 Oh, that's awesome. Like they come pouring, which by the way is probably a technical, but still, they come pouring out of the stands and they're jumping all over this manager. Again, I was like, what's wrong with me? All I want to do is cry all the time.
Starting point is 01:31:06 I know. There's something about seeing young people being caring and compassionate and loving to, you know, someone like the manager or their teacher. And as a teacher, that's just got to be the best feeling whoever, like, I've connected with these kids.
Starting point is 01:31:18 They see me as more than just their teacher. It gives me hope. Yeah. Because I don't know there's a lot of it right now, to be honest with you. All right. It's true. There you go. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 01:31:30 The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2. 30 Second Skinny. Dan and Shea performed at the Super Bowl Music Fest on Saturday, and after meeting Demi Lovato backstage, she decided to come up and perform their song, Speechless with them. here's them practicing backstage beforehand. I was trying to see how much they made performing before the Super Bowl
Starting point is 01:31:56 because there was a whole big story about how much everybody got paid to perform. And some people like Marshmallow made $250,000 for doing a DJ set. Cardi made like a million dollars. You know who they didn't put on the list? Dan and Chea. We're not even getting the respect to this country and the money where they talk how much money people make. I'm so curious about that though.
Starting point is 01:32:14 But I didn't see that until just now. And she did the half star-spangled band, right? She was good. The national anthem. Yeah, that's called the Starfangle Banner. You're correct. But you guys corrected me on that. That's what I was called.
Starting point is 01:32:23 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we were just giving the other name of it. You get me felt dumb. What's the other song that was sung before? Yeah, is that what was saying before? Because my husband stood up at the TV because he thought it was the national anthem. And he makes the whole house get quiet and we have to take off. If anybody has a hat on, you take it off, you stand at attention, you put your heart over the chest, your hand of your chest.
Starting point is 01:32:45 And about 30 seconds into it, I'm like, this isn't the national anthem. And he's like, oh, sorry, sorry, I'm too excited for the game. And then we got to relax. And then when Demi Lovato got back up, we had to stand at attention. But what's the other one? Yeah. America the Great. Yes.
Starting point is 01:33:01 Not the great. But Helston Morgan. Kelsey Ballerini shared an acoustic cover of her favorite song right now. It's pop artist Love's song Changes. Yeah, she's always cool with those acoustic videos. What else? Merrim Morris has had to stay away from a food that she really loves during her pregnancy. One food thing that's been tough to enjoy that I've kind of stayed away from during pregnancy has been any sort of seafood.
Starting point is 01:33:31 I used to love salmon and any sort of like fish dish. And recently I just can't smell it without like getting sick. She'll be in on Friday, the Friday morning conversation of this week. Mary Morris will be right? Yeah, that's right. Good. News to me. Not news to me.
Starting point is 01:33:49 All right, go ahead. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skin. Let's go over to Amy and get the morning corny. Here we go. Morning corny. What does one icicle say to the other icicle before leaving? All right.
Starting point is 01:34:05 What's one icicle said to the other icicle before leaving? Bicycle. All right. There you go. Thank you. That was the morning corny. Starting point is 01:37:57 What happens is we throw a theme out there and then much like the NFL does and I guess this all started with fantasy football was about to come up. And I was like, hey, we should do like things we like, favorite drinks, funny as people. And we played for like six months or so.
Starting point is 01:38:14 And Morgan number two won the championship last season. So today we will be drafting favorite childhood toys. Now, Scoobah Steve, our executive producer, is sitting in the studio. He will be the referee. And here's his whistle. If there's a flag on the play, he blows his whistle. Awesome.
Starting point is 01:38:32 Okay. It's not going to be annoying at all. What? I just really don't think we're going to commit that many offenses. Well, if you draft something that's not lit, because last season we'd have, people would draft things that weren't actually in the category. And so he would blow the whistle.
Starting point is 01:38:47 Someone can challenge it. He'd blow the whistle. Okay. We have them in here for all games. All right. Busy job. Morgan number two, you have the first pick. Are you ready?
Starting point is 01:38:56 With the childhood toy draft. Oh, gosh. And there are six of us, and we'll do three rounds each, and you vote at bobby bones.com. All right, Morgan number two, go ahead. I think I just have to go with this. I played with them all the time, and they're just, they're still around. So I have to go with Barbies. Mm, solid pick.
Starting point is 01:39:12 It's good. Barbies. Real good. Ramundo, you have the second pick. Go ahead. Draft your favorite childhood toy. I'm going to do LOL, surprise doll.
Starting point is 01:39:20 Oh, it's a good one. Doll or ball? What is it? It's a ball. Do you say ball or doll? He said doll. It's okay. Do you want to make it?
Starting point is 01:39:27 Ball? No, no. I don't even know what that is. Raph? He said doll. I think you meant ball, right? Let's go with ball. It's the thing because you open it,
Starting point is 01:39:34 it's a big surprise. Yeah. But is there a doll in the ball? I don't know. All right, I have the next pick. I'm going to go with Legos, which I'm so excited. Hey.
Starting point is 01:39:44 Oh, great one. So good. Yeah, I'm going to go with, everybody loves Legos. Amy? Mr. Potato Head. Oh, 1940s. You're going back to the 40s.
Starting point is 01:39:55 Oh, shoot. Is that not good? The toys of the 40s. I like that. Is that not good? Mimaw's childhood. That's good. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:40:04 Amy, I'm just giving you a hard time. I really, Amy's like, I'm going to take the ball. There's a cup on the ball, and there's a stick. Shut up. I almost went with slinky. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:40:17 I don't worry, Amy. Slinky's on my list. Shoot. I really thought that was solid. I'm going to take the butter churn. Amy, the kids still love Mr. Potato Head. You're good. I personally love Mr. Potato Head.
Starting point is 01:40:30 Lunchbox? Oh, dude, American hero. G.I. Joe. Mr. G.I. Joe, the American hero. That's a good one. Eddie? I'm going to go with one of my favorites, bones. My little pony.
Starting point is 01:40:41 Are you really drafting that? Are you kidding? Yeah, no, I'm dead serious. Okay. I'm not going for votes. Can you please make fun of him now? No, no, you are going for votes. I thought he was being.
Starting point is 01:40:49 funny. You're really driving my little pony? My little pony. All right. Well, I can't wait for your strawberry shortcake pick next. Whoa, whoa. What's wrong with that? Wait, I don't even have my little pony on there. Let's look at everybody's first round. Morgan number two with
Starting point is 01:41:05 Barbie. Ray with the L.O.S. Surprise dog. He's a dog, doll. Tall ball. One of them. I have Legos. Amy has Mr. Potato Head. Lunchbox has G.I. Joe. And Eddie has my little pony.
Starting point is 01:41:21 I mean, Mr. Potato has not sounding so bad, now is it? All are great picks. Be sure to get light bright next. That's a good one, dude. That's a real good one. Kids love light bright, and I loved light bright. Great. Okay, Legos.
Starting point is 01:41:39 I mean, you can't make one of Lego because Lego is solid. I'm joking. Hey, you have the next pick. Are you ready? Yes, yes, yes. I'm going to go with something really big that we all love to collect. Beanie Big. Hey, bees. Hit it!
Starting point is 01:41:51 I don't know what you're hitting. Hit it. That's the vote. Hit the vote button. Yeah, yeah. Hit it. So, shit. Okay. Dang it. Okay. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:42:05 You have GI Joe. Your next pick is? Yeah. Every kid loves this. When they get one of these and they feel independent, they feel like they've made it, the bicycle. Guys, the bicycle gives you freedom and lets you go explore the neighborhood. The bicycle. Right. Okay. Next.
Starting point is 01:42:19 So, I'm starting to think maybe I shouldn't do the radio flyer wagon. Do it, follow your heart, Amy. Amy's going with all toys for the 20s. Like if the Pilgrims had it, she wants it. Right when toys came out. Amy's like, I'm going to go with a nickel. I'm like, maybe my mind wasn't in the right place when I was making my list. Marbles.
Starting point is 01:42:42 Marbles. Jacks. Oh, yeah, it was Jacks. The card game Old Maid. Oh, man. Okay. All right, Amy, your next toy, go ahead. Tickle me Elmo. Saw, that's a good thing.
Starting point is 01:42:55 That's a good trick. Dang, I didn't even have that one. Real good one. Thank you. Dang. I'm up next. So if the first pick was Legos, I want to go with that.
Starting point is 01:43:14 Because Lego's like Guy and girl. I'm going to go back in time, though, to like the late 80s, early 90s, and go with my buddy T.R. Teddy Ruxpin Boom Thank you Oh Teddy Ruxpin
Starting point is 01:43:26 Hit it Three two one go Hit it Oh man Okay next up Ray Mundo Go ahead I'll do the Nerf gun
Starting point is 01:43:36 Solid It's lasted 50 years Since it was invented That's good Morgan number two I'm gonna go with hot wheels Dang it That's weird
Starting point is 01:43:47 She has Barbie and Hot Wheels I was like, she's covering all the bases, guys and girls. Why is that weird, though? Well, I just figured that's not your demo, but okay. Oh, and my little pony. Yeah, I went straight other demo. All women. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:44:01 Morgan number two has Barbie and Hot Wheels, and now your final pick, Morgan number two. Ooh, okay. I mean, I still like to play with this with my niece and nephew. Play-Doh. That's a good pick. That's good. Oh, that's really good.
Starting point is 01:44:13 She's dominating. Ray Mundo? Nintendo Switch. Every kid's playing it right now before school. Mm-hmm. I have Legos and Teddy Ruxman. Kids toys. Hmm.
Starting point is 01:44:30 I'm up. Well, what are you thinking about over there? I have a lot. Yeah, me too. I have so many. I just don't know what era I want to go with. And I'm not going to throw back to like a Rubik's cube because it's too old. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:44:44 Oh, yeah, you're right. Yeah, it's too old. Good to know. Scratch that off too. You guys can. I'm just talking through it here. Well, yeah, because. Oh.
Starting point is 01:44:50 But do you have anything super old? Well, no. The Teddy Ruckston. The Teddy Ruckston. like from the 80s and 90s. And because of that same reason, I'm going to go ahead and sit in my lane. Ooh, I don't know because...
Starting point is 01:45:03 Cabbage Patch Kids. I'm going to go with that. I'm going to go with another 80s classic. Amy, you're up. Okay, let me cross off cabbage punch. Oh, did you have that? I didn't even have that on mine. I just came to my heart out of nowhere.
Starting point is 01:45:19 Well, you must have felt it from my heart. I think so. You have Mr. Potato Head and Tickle Me Elmo. Yeah, and then I guess Game Boy. Good pick. I have it up here. That's a good one. Ray, good pick on the Nintendo Switch, too, because that was the one new one I was going to think about. Probably would have drafted that. I didn't think about doing anything new, but I don't know.
Starting point is 01:45:42 Lunchbox? Yeah, we love to play with these weird kids. It gets everybody wet. It's called a Super Soaker water gun. Good. Super Soaker, yep. Eddie? Good. I'm two going to stay in my lane. What is your lane? What is your lane? You have no lane. I guess I have Beanie Babies, My Little Pony.
Starting point is 01:45:58 So my third one will be care bears That's Elaine. You've created Elaine now for sure. You are definitely marketing. Care Bears is a toy? Yeah, care bears. Me and my sister, basically. Huh.
Starting point is 01:46:10 Okay. Can I get all the things up? I want to read them back. All right. There we go. You guys all feel good. First draft back? Eddie.
Starting point is 01:46:20 I don't feel great. Well, Eddie, you did it to yourself. I know. It sounded good on paper. Scoo Steve has a whistle in his mouth. But he hasn't even. had to use it. I can't see everybody's selection, so I would read them. Oh, here we go. Finally got him. Here we go. Morgan number two has Barbie Hot Wheels and Play-Doh.
Starting point is 01:46:36 Yeah. Ramundo has L.O.S. Surprise Ball, Nerf Gun, Nintendo Switch. Yeah! Interesting. There's a clash there of themes. Raymondos is pretty new. And Morgan No. 2's is pretty old-school novelty. I have Legos, Teddy Ruxpin, and Cabbage Patch Kids. Amy has Mr. Potato Head, Ticklemy Elmo, and Game Boy. Lunchbuck says GI Joe Bicycle and Super Soaker. and Eddie has My Little Pony, Beanie Babies, and Care Bears. Now, what we'll do is we'll put them all up at Bobby Bones.com The next 10 minutes.
Starting point is 01:47:05 And you go and vote for your favorite team. Don't just look at your favorite one because it's easy to draft the first round. Look at your favorite team and pick the person you think should be the winner. Okay, there we go. Everybody feel good? Yeah. Yeah. Get your Bobby Bones on.
Starting point is 01:47:19 The Bobby Bones Show. I want to go over and talk to Josh in Florida who is on the phone. Hey, Josh, what's up, dude? How are you? How are you? Hello, Studio. What's up, dude? So I got a quick question. Every great fantasy game comes with a punishment for the loser at the end of the season. Have you thought about adopting this?
Starting point is 01:47:42 It's just too much. If you lose the round, you sit out, and if you finish the last place like Eddie, who last season was the worst draftor ever, Mike D did the results from last season. Eddie, you were by far last. Wow, I didn't realize that. Thank you. Thank you for bringing that.
Starting point is 01:47:58 And so it's just embarrassing. And that's punishment enough, right, Eddie? Yeah, and then Morgan number two has the belt sitting right next to me, the championship belt, which I can't, I wasn't very close to getting that. So that hurts. Yeah, so, you know, I don't think we're going to do a punishment for overall season. It just hurts to be, because it's very important to all of us. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:48:18 So no. The best punishment I've heard is last year for a fantasy football, they made their, they made their losers. in a waffle house for 24 hours and for every waffle he ate he got one hour off his sentence which I thought was brilliant Yeah that's pretty funny maybe we should do that H-footches in my mind like that
Starting point is 01:48:39 As of right now there is no punishment for finishing last in a season So again the humiliation is enough Because we play this so publicly And everywhere Eddie goes now people Give him a hard time Yeah no seriously my kids tell me all the time That like the kids at his school
Starting point is 01:48:54 Make fun of him for my picks. So that's terrible. Yeah, today is going to be the same thing. I thought that generally speaking, the commercials last night were pretty entertaining. Some people would get mad that they put the commercials out before the Super Bowl. But the reason you buy a commercial to be played on the Super Bowl is that you want to reach the most people possible, right? And if you can reach the most people by going, these are Super Bowl commercials, click here to see them ahead of time, great. That's the whole purpose of it.
Starting point is 01:49:23 Yeah. So I have no problem with you putting commercials up wherever, whenever, whenever. Shakira would say. Whenever. Whenever. But the half-duncheon was really good. I thought that was really good too. The commercial's really good. I think, again, when you go best, it just depends what you like.
Starting point is 01:49:40 But I thought for a commercial that people were going to talk about the most today, which I see the most effective of spending your money, so if you can still get people to talk about it, would be the Tom Brady commercial. Because what happened was he posted on his Instagram, a picture of him kind of walking out of the tunnel. And he was like, hey, thank you, New England. so everybody thought he was retired or I thought he had left New England that was like his goodbye picture
Starting point is 01:50:00 but then last night you realized it was part of a Hulu commercial where he's like we got something to talk about things change everybody's talking about Hulu and then he goes I'm not going anywhere
Starting point is 01:50:09 so people are still talking about that today and talking about Hulu which is the whole purpose like how much exposure can you get for your $5 million dollars? Yeah. And I think although it wasn't the funniest
Starting point is 01:50:17 I do think that was probably the most effective at getting people to tweet about it and still talk about it today on Monday after the Super Bowl so here's a little bit of that Tom Brady commercial they say all good things must come to an end
Starting point is 01:50:30 so to my teammates my family and my fans you deserve to hear this from me Hulu doesn't just have live sports according to the script they just gave me Hulu also has your favorite cable channels plus the greatest shows movies So that was pretty good
Starting point is 01:50:48 people are still talking about it today and did he announce that he's staying in New England in that commercial where he goes I'm not going anywhere You know that's still a bit vague but here we are going, what's he going to do? You like the Lil Nasak, Sam Elliott? Yes, the Doritos commercial. So hold on a second.
Starting point is 01:51:04 Why did you like this one? I don't know. It was one of the cutest ones, I thought. So they're in a, what do they shoot off? What's that called? Like a duel. A duel. There you go.
Starting point is 01:51:14 And instead of like their guns, it's like a dance off. And when the other guy would do the moves, who was the other guy? Sam Elliott. Yeah, he was just like really funny to me. And then Lil Nasex got on his horse and galloped. And then Sam looked at his horse and his horse shook his head like, oh, I'm not doing that. And at the end, like, Billy Ray Cyrus was in the corner on a guitar. Give me just a little bit of this one.
Starting point is 01:51:39 That's a pretty funny way. His mustache. Yes, it did a little, like, synepede. Ram Trucks has partnered with 80s hairband Maximus Steel to create a funny 10-minute music video, highlighting all the Ramtruck's features. This didn't air the Super Bowl last night, but it can be found online. Do we have a clip of this one? Here you go.
Starting point is 01:52:01 So it's like a complete 80s hairband thing. You can watch the full video on the Ram Trucks YouTube channel. Just search Ram Trucks on YouTube. So that's another. A lot of people creating content around the Super Bowl in the commercials too. You don't have to get on now to actually create really funny stuff. The, I thought the Boston, I don't even know what that car was. The parking thing?
Starting point is 01:52:25 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Where they were all like. Smart. Is that what it was? Yeah. I love the accent anyway. Anything with people from the office I'm into. and John Krasinski was in it
Starting point is 01:52:35 and he was like, yeah, park here. Smart pot. It's all right, he's got Smart Pot. Do you see that one at all? My husband was talking about it. I guess I missed that one in the room because that was his favorite. He just told me the one with the guy from the office.
Starting point is 01:52:46 Yeah. I guess that was it. That's one of the reason I liked it too. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Yeah, home it's something good. Back in 2009, Chance was a baseball player for the University of Georgia
Starting point is 01:53:00 when he was hit by a car, became paralyzed from the waist down. When he starts dating Monica 2008, they get engaged and they're going to get married. But he's like, man, I really want to dance for the wedding. I want my first dance. So he talked to two of his groomsmen. They practiced holding him so he could dance with his bride. Surprised her at the wedding when the first song came on.
Starting point is 01:53:20 They came up, picked him up, held him up as he danced with his new wife. Yeah, it's a really great picture too. Wow, wow, wow. Looking at it here. His groomsmen are on both sides of him. He's got his arms. You know how someone's carrying you? I would compare it to if you either hurt your leg and they're carrying it.
Starting point is 01:53:33 and you off field or like you're drunk and you're like, oh, carry me. But they really have them propped up like that and they're holding them on both sides and she's like dancing with them up front. It's really a great picture. Man, that's awesome. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by

Starting point is 01:57:41 was with his girl for seven years basically before they got engaged. Big topic part of the show. Now he's planning his wedding. And he had to call, tell Amy who you had to call. So I had to call my twin brother and just kind of talk to him about the whole situation. I mean, he's obviously coming to the wedding. His family's invited, obviously. His family's your family.
Starting point is 01:57:59 I know. It's a small chapel. His mom and dad are coming. His family's invited. You have the same exact family. We had to turn people down at such a small chapel. That's the reason. But anyways, I had to call them and tell them.
Starting point is 01:58:10 rumors were circulating that he was just going to automatically be a groomsman because he's blood and he's my twin brother and we were in the womb together and I had to call him and tell him man I'm sorry but you're not a groomsman oh wow his twin brother that's cutthroat right okay wow some people were even saying he should have he's automatically my best man right who says that what if I don't want him to be my best man what did he say well I just told him I said hey man I just feel like you don't give a rip so I didn't want to fill one of the groomsman positions with somebody that didn't care. And he goes, oh, okay. Do you feel like he was hurt? A little bit because my nephew, my 12-year-old nephew is going to be a groomsman. So are you closer to your 12-year-old nephew than you are your brother, though? And I even said that. I said, yeah, the 12-year-old nephew at least fakes like he likes me. So, I mean, why not put him as a groomsman? My brother acts like he hates me. So I did just, I didn't, my mom said, hey, we don't want people to get hurt because obviously the nephew is
Starting point is 01:59:03 going to brag to my twin brother. So I just had to man up and call him on the phone when he was done with his lumber mill shift and tell him. Was it one of those calls? Was it? where you go, here it goes. Or was it just like chilling, not an issue? No, it was, here it goes. Yeah. Yeah, because it was just awkward. Do you think that this,
Starting point is 01:59:21 sometimes it takes a situation to bring to the surface and things that are going on and do you think he may realize, oh, wow, like, I don't really have a relationship with my brother. Maybe I should work on that. Maybe. That'd be awesome.
Starting point is 01:59:33 And he didn't invite anybody to his wedding. He just randomly went to the courthouse and got married. I think that's a bit different, though, that he ran off. I know people that went and got married quickly without anyone with them. I think that's different though
Starting point is 01:59:46 than having groomsmen and not putting you in. Like I don't think they're the same to me. Mm-hmm. But I also agree with you. It's your wedding. It's your day. You do whatever you want on your day.
Starting point is 01:59:58 Right. I got a couple people tell me you should put your dad as a groomsman. What? Oh, people do that, but yeah. You don't have to. I've never heard of any of this and why I'm not doing that?
Starting point is 02:00:05 I don't, it'd be awkward. My brother and dad, My dad rarely made talk, and my brother hasn't talked to me in years. So it's just such an awkward thing. I'm like, I'll leave them out. Well, I think you made the right decision for you. That's what I wanted to do. And I was limited to six.
Starting point is 02:00:21 So, I mean, if I could bring 20 groomsmen, they would come. Of course they'd be in the lineup. So has she announced her six bridesmaids yet? Yeah, she has them all on the website. On whose website? They have a wedding website. Do you have a registry up? Yeah, it's up there.
Starting point is 02:00:34 I didn't know that. Yeah, I can put that link up. Oh, my God. Wait, but what's the website again? I think it's Rayn Bay. Dot wedding. Oh, cute. There's a dot wedding?
Starting point is 02:00:43 Yeah. No way. It's with the knot, but yeah, it's dot wedding. Ray and Bay dot wedding? They have a dot wedding. That's the thing. Hmm. That's it.
Starting point is 02:00:53 Yeah, that's it. I spelled Bay, right? I spelled Bay. B-A-E. Not B-A-Y. Yeah, I was just Ray and Bay. I was typing fast. Is dot wedding a real thing?
Starting point is 02:01:04 Yes, dot wedding. Yeah, you pay $14. You own a website for a whole. year. It's pretty awesome. Wow. Oh, this is so cute. Look at our story. Click our story. I'm going to read this. Proposal. Oh, there's blank. Oh, it's not filled in. It's under construction, Bobby. We don't have a webmaster. We're doing this stuff on the weekends. It's a template. Okay, so under Groomsman, three have been announced. Billy Ray, wait, Billy, not Billy Ray Smith. He's from Arkansas. Sorry.
Starting point is 02:01:31 Biller Smith played football at Arkansas. Billy Smith, best man. Eric Dodd, groomsman. I can say there are these names, right? It's on the website. Yeah, I don't give a rip. Tristan Slater, junior groomsman. And so you're still filling out three more. Do you want to announce one more right now? Uh, uh, uh, you don't have to.
Starting point is 02:01:52 You're right. When are you holding it? What are you holding out for? Well, obviously because it's funny, because we have Twitters and Instagram, so it's actually funny. It builds drama. Okay. If I wasn't on the radio, I'd probably have already announced them. Okay, do you want to announce one more now or now?
Starting point is 02:02:03 I mean, I can. I just kind of think there's going to be just a tad bit of drama. So if you want to do it right now You just said you wanted it I want to but are we just ready But just one more You don't have to all of them Maybe tomorrow
Starting point is 02:02:16 Okay All of them tomorrow or one tomorrow One Well why are you so nervous about this Because honestly The way I'm telling these people That they're my groomsmen Is they have to chug a can of beer
Starting point is 02:02:27 So it's like That would be the thing So it's like I don't have So your junior groomsman chugged a beer He did a juice box He did a juice box Oh oh He did a juice box
Starting point is 02:02:35 Ray's 12-year-old cousins drunk on Instagram. Okay. Okay. And why is it going to be dramatic? Just because, I mean, who else? I hang out with you guys all the time. I would hope that one of y'all thinks that maybe one of y'all is in the lineup. Oh, no.
Starting point is 02:02:52 Or all y'all's in the lineup? Yeah, I don't think I am either. I mean, I expect to be. I don't think I am. I mean, although I did pluck you out of nowhere land as an intern and take care of you. But lunchbox was Ray in your mom? wedding? No. Okay. Oh. Ray didn't even go to the wedding. Yeah, Ray didn't go to the wedding. He showed up drunk.
Starting point is 02:03:12 The reception. That's not the wedding. It's true. Ray should have wasted. I mean, his girlfriend had to feed him food. He was so wasted. Bay has a... Wait, hold on, hold on, I'm not done with Ray. I'm looking at her right now. He looks really awkward. He's like, don't press me on this. No, just because I'm mad at myself, I should have brought the beer. I have nothing for the person to chug. So we can find a beer. Yeah, I mean, I'm sure there's a beer in this building. They have beer. Friday or something. I do have that upstairs.
Starting point is 02:03:37 They get off work on the right here. They get beer cart Friday. Right. No, man. Crazy. Okay. You want to do one tomorrow? Yes.
Starting point is 02:03:46 If it's, somebody has to drink a beer. I personally don't think I'm in, but I'll drink a beer. Can you imagine? That's your first drink. I've never had a beer. No, let it to me.
Starting point is 02:03:57 Okay. Tomorrow will put one down? Absolutely. All right. But Mike D. make a note. Tomorrow's going to be a crazy show because Amy's cousin
Starting point is 02:04:04 who's the psychic will also be on tomorrow. Yes. She'll be back. A psychic reading again this year about me. Last year she didn't want to, she nailed a lot of the stuff. So we'll get her back to. Okay.
Starting point is 02:04:14 And Ray's, you can check out Ray's website. I mean, I guess we've got a free plug here, right? Ray and Bay. Wedding. The registry's up, because anyone wants to add to that. So Garth's daughter is the maid of honor, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:29 Wow. They've been best friends forever. Garth Brooks's daughter is the maid of honor in Ray's wedding. Does that mean... Blame it all. Does that mean that one of the... Greatest wedding singer ever. Wow.
Starting point is 02:04:42 Oh, my God. No, no, no. Grusman. Grusman. Oh, it's guard. Come on, guys. Think big. Oh, that would be hilarious.
Starting point is 02:04:54 Who else are these bridesmaids? Let's see. I don't know. Anybody, any other country stars? No. It's a heavy wedding here. All right. Thank you, Ray.
Starting point is 02:05:04 Well, Ray, good luck with you, bud. Thank you. One, two, check. Bobby Bones. Hey, don't forget if Valentine's Day is coming up in your life and you want to get someone something special, our Pimp and Joy line, which we don't keep any of the money.
Starting point is 02:05:23 It all goes to various causes that we work with, and we try to help. There is a pink Pimp and Joy line up at BobbyBones.com if you want to hop in on that. Also at 9 o'clock, local time coming up, we're putting up, speaking of charity, we're doing a charity thing at my gym, a charity boxing.
Starting point is 02:05:40 So we're going to do, by the way, you don't have to fight anybody. it's a bag. Oh, okay. People think you're signed up and you go and fight somebody. It's not a tough man competition. It's like a fun workout.
Starting point is 02:05:47 It's a workout. Oh, okay. Because I have a few gems, a few boxing gyms in Nashville. Which, by the way, I just, you know, we are so focused on keeping these places clean. I'm such a clean freak.
Starting point is 02:05:58 And I tell the people that work at my gym, I'm like, hey, guys, people come in and it's gross or there are germs and they get sick. They're going to blame me. I'm Mr. Clean. So we're sanitizing that stuff down. Probably a little too much.
Starting point is 02:06:11 How often do you wash your hands? Well, every time I go to the bathroom? I don't know if I'm at the kitchen sink if I'm cooking. Probably turn it up, a couple. If you walk by a sink, I think you should wash your hands. If you walk by a sink and you have 30 seconds, you should wash your hands. Because you're touching things all the time that are just covered in e coli. Okay.
Starting point is 02:06:31 All kinds of bad bacteria. I don't feel like that's necessary. No, it is. I'm telling you. That's all I think about. I don't even touch a door. If I don't have long sleeves on it, it's summer sometimes, and I have long sleeves on today, if I can't open a door with long sleeves with handle,
Starting point is 02:06:43 I don't even open the door. I'll just stand by and wait for somebody else to open it. Unless I go right to a sink and wash my hands. Now, a little bit I'm OCD-ish. Right. It's scary to me, man. Before you know what, I have a coronavirus. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:59 I'm going to be in here telling you guys about it. Of course. No, you're not going to be in here if you have it. True. Thanks. Probably be in my house, quarantined. It was so bad in China right now that people are quarantined themselves inside
Starting point is 02:07:10 their own cars. What? Because there's not room for them other places. So they get quarantined in their own cars. Isn't that crazy? I don't know why
Starting point is 02:07:19 this is the best place, but I saw that if you're flying, like if you have to fly this week, just know a window seat. They said is the safest from coronavirus because I guess if you're not in the aisle, you're not, like in the window. Or any virus.
Starting point is 02:07:30 I saw this too, but any, like the window seat is kind of the place where there's not a bunch of floating, as much floating germs. Right. And then the first thing I do when I get on a plane,
Starting point is 02:07:40 is turn the air vent off. Even if it's hot, like I don't want that air blowing right on me that's just circulating from all the other germs in the plane. Turn that off. And people are like, well, are they talking about the coronavirus
Starting point is 02:07:52 and people are dying from the flu. More people have died from the flu. They just don't know what the coronavirus is doing, is why. The flu, we know what happens, we know how to combat it for the most part. We know the symptoms. And unfortunately, people pass away from the flu every year.
Starting point is 02:08:04 This is new. And the reason it's such a new story is because they don't know enough about it yet, where it came from, really, what it's going to do, how it's traveling. And there's rumors it came from biochemical slab. And they didn't share it. And now they're blaming on our fish market. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:08:21 Scary. Yeah, and I get a lot of texts. Talk about the flu. It's killing more people. But we understand the flu. For the most part, we know what the flu does to us. We know how it spreads. We guess, right, a lot of the times to get the flu shot.
Starting point is 02:08:37 If they offer me a corona shot today, well, like a. Yeah, different kind of coronary. I would probably go and get one. Really? I'm weird about that stuff, though. Wow. A pair of moviegoers in Nebraska were hospitalized earlier this week after they ingested cleaning fluid
Starting point is 02:08:52 that had accidentally been mixed into their drinks, police say. No way. The two women had gone to see a movie at the Alamo draft house cinema location in La Vista. During the time, they had also ordered cocktails to be inspired by the film Ford versus Ferrari. Upon trying the drinks, one woman said she could feel her lips burning. She got up, went to the restroom, both she and her friend began vomiting.
Starting point is 02:09:17 So here's what happened. You tell me if it was an accident or not, okay? Because it probably was, but although my mind goes, I wonder what they're up to over there, because it probably was an accent. The cleaning solution that was at this movie theater, they had put into a repurposed bottle where they had had like alcohol. And so they thought it was alcohol. By the way, why would you put a...
Starting point is 02:09:41 It's just a weird thing. Like, if you ever... I repurpose bottles at my house. Like, I put bleach in an old bottle that once was like a safe spray that's not bleach, you know? But I riffed the label off and I write bleach and black marker. Put the skull and crossbones on it. So you don't drink it. Now I know that's bleach.
Starting point is 02:09:59 But I mean, yeah. Baker further claimed that the cleaning solution was being stored in a repurpose alcohol bottle. I'm looking at it now. Not alcohol at rubbing alcohol. Like a... Looks like a wine bottle or something. Palma. Poma pondergant liquor bottle.
Starting point is 02:10:12 He also identified the cleaning solution as a beer line. Anyway, that was the mix-up. Yeah, which is unfortunate. What happened to them? They just threw up, bad night. If anything, maybe lost a few pounds. Stop it. But do you sue?
Starting point is 02:10:30 I don't. I always am curious what people would do, because I'm so not. I'm going to say that they won't have to, because I bet you that theater goes, hey, we're going to give you this. Sorry about that. Let's settle. Free movies for life. Probably more than that, because they did get sick.
Starting point is 02:10:44 Unlimited popcorn. Oh, I didn't think about that. Free drinks, always. Lunchbox was telling me about a story at Waterberger where this employee was arrested. What happened with him? Well, so someone went through the drive-thru, and they went home and they were looking at their credit card statement, and there was $800 worth of underwear purchased from Macy's. And they were like, we don't ever shop at Macy's. So they call, and they had ordered it online.
Starting point is 02:11:05 And the person said, yeah, this is the guy's name where the address it's going to. Well, they went on Facebook, found him like, that's the guy working the drive-thru it, Waterberger. And so they were saving all the credit card information. They called police, and when he was arrested, he had a backpack on him, and in the backpack was a notebook, and he had a list of credit card names, number. Like, he was taken whenever people would pay with credit card. He'd write it down in his notebook and give it back.
Starting point is 02:11:26 Oh, wow. Why would you do that? Why not take a picture of it? Oh, yeah. That's what's a good point. Yeah. Good point. He didn't want the evidence of a phone.
Starting point is 02:11:34 But it's quicker to take a picture. Yeah, and you can't get at someone's phone. Also, what is he doing with the underwear? Was he buying boxer briefs or like? Underwear and pajamas. There are a lot of levels of this. I need to know.
Starting point is 02:11:47 Me, I'm going, why is the guy doing it in a dumb way, writing it down? And Amy's like, what's to do with that 800? How many clothes underwear? $800. $800 worth of underwear and pajamas. Okay. Yeah. Maybe you're selling them.
Starting point is 02:11:59 Yeah, maybe. Two of our favorite places, Alamo draft house and Waterburger. Yeah. It's terrible. Just let us down right there. Gosh. I was on the plane flying back from. American Idol taping in Hawaii.
Starting point is 02:12:10 And I'd rented three or four movies. It was a long last few days for me because I flew. It took like 12, 13 hours to get there. I worked for two full days and then flew back to like 12, 13 hours to get back. And so I rented a bunch of movies. The only one I watched was Jay and Silent Bob reboot. I don't watch any of the others I talked about because I felt that would be so stupid that if I wanted to turn it off, I wouldn't feel like I was missing anything.
Starting point is 02:12:31 And I was just so tired. I was kind of fading in it out on the flight. And it was actually pretty funny if you watch any of the other Kevin Smith stuff. but I didn't watch Ford versus Ferrari. And then you didn't watch the other one. I didn't watch Anastasia. Aerastra. Erastra. Erika. Erika. Estrada.
Starting point is 02:12:46 Yeah. I was so wimishing I could get your... I know, but I wanted to see it. Well, I don't know. I watched like five minutes of it. It felt like an hour. I did. I did watch a David Crosby documentary.
Starting point is 02:12:59 I take that back. Oh. Yeah. Is it good? Yeah, it's pretty good. Especially if you were like Crosby Stills and Nash, that kind of stuff, old classic rock. But I didn't watch.
Starting point is 02:13:07 Anastasia because I didn't... Well, I just wanted to see what you think. But you told me not to watch it. I do say not to watch it, but I mean, what... Listen to this. Here's the Rotten Tomatoes on Ad Astra, is apparently what it's called. It's the Brad Pitt astronaut movie.
Starting point is 02:13:20 The critics is 84% really high. The audience scores of 40%. See? It's rare that something has that, you know, that different. Normally the audience is higher than the critics, I feel. But this one, they're spot on. Yeah, you agree with this one? You guys can call us if you want, 877-Bobby.
Starting point is 02:13:43 I do have a real fun picture from my Hawaii trip for American Idol. They buried me in the sand, and it's Lionel Richie over the top of me with my head buried in the sand. Yeah, how did that happen? Like, I mean, how long did that take? Yeah, because I posted all my Instagram story. I was like, you guys think this is Photoshopped, and I posted me actually in the sand. Well, before I got there, they dug a big hole. Right. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 02:14:05 And then I got in the hole. No way. And then they put a thing like over you a little bit and then put sand in the hole. And then it's a bit for the Hawaii part of American Idol. It was a good work trip. However, I was the day I travel back because I left at night that night. And so I had the day to go walk out by the pool and stuff. I'm not a pool guy or a beach guy, really.
Starting point is 02:14:27 But I'm out by the pool and I'm beat up. I'm in a tank top, haven't shaved. I have this Mickey hat on that I'm wearing now. And I'm walking over where they're doing the results. and they, because this is called the Green Mile where they cut 40 to 20. And so they cut a certain contestant, and the contestant got so mad and wouldn't talk to the camera. And so rushed off. And I'm not dressed.
Starting point is 02:14:48 I'm not miced. I got logos on my clothes. Every part of me was wrong. And they were like, we need you to mic up and go talk to the contestant because he'll only talk to you. Because I kept close with these contestants. Like I'm not only helping them decide what songs to sing or what arrangement it is, but I'm also like a life coach to some of them because they came from, a bad girl like I did. Some of them, it's their first time going to a place like Hawaii or a big city or first time being on a TV show.
Starting point is 02:15:11 And so I got called, I got, they called in the lefty. There you go. And I had to go and like talk to him and bring him back and tell them that mostly that the sun's going to come up tomorrow. And how he reacts today is a big part of how he's going to feel about himself forever. That we have a lot of times in our life. Most times in our life, we don't get what we're aiming for. We don't get it. It's, you know, kind of the calluses that.
Starting point is 02:15:36 that you create, that, you know, what you learn when you don't make it. And also it was, because he was in a pretty bad place. I was like, what are you going to do? He said, you're going to be mad, but you're going to get up tomorrow, right? You're going to start back again, right? Are you going to give up? Because if you're going to give up, just go be butt hurt and go away. But if you're going to continue this journey, you take this, see what you learn from it.
Starting point is 02:15:56 Sun comes up and so will you. And also, you know, we're basically how we react when things don't work out for us. we all react fine when things go our way. When things go our way, it's easy to be in a good mood. It's easy to be positive. But it's how you react when things don't go your way. That's how you become a better person. Is how you are to people who did make it when you didn't.
Starting point is 02:16:21 You're sportsmanship. And I've had an issue with this for a long time where I was so competitive that I hated everyone at all times. But it really, if you can a bit separate yourself and go, man, am I going to be proud of myself in three days from now or a week from now at how I'm acting right now. And just had that talk with them. It was like, I know you're really upset right now. But sun's coming up tomorrow and you're going to get up with it. And also tomorrow, you don't want to look back and go, man, I wish I would just have been nicer to people.
Starting point is 02:16:50 I wish I wouldn't react so poorly. And if you can, you know, on your bad days be a little bit better, on your good days, you're going to be so much better. And so that was the talk. And then it was good. But I just wasn't expected to get the call. It was an off day for your friend over here, Bobby. You're in the hot tub instead.
Starting point is 02:17:06 I'm over there getting... They give you that stuff. Like when they call you in, do they say, hey, Bones, this is what we want you to tell them. Or do you just, you come up with all this stuff? I just were just wondering the same thing. No, they give me nothing. Wow.
Starting point is 02:17:17 They give me nothing. It's not, I don't have anything in my pocket. This is just my life that I've lived. You're busted out on an anti-quote. That's so good. Till tomorrow. But the calluses, I mean, you have a lot of good, like analogies and sayings,
Starting point is 02:17:31 like something and use a little, prepared to that or you just see it? No, I've just lived all this life of rejection. You know, I told him, I said, you want to see what's been rejected? Me, in every part of my life, I'm not supposed to be where I am because I've been told no, even what I'm best at on the radio. I think I applied for, I said this before, like 25 jobs and I got no to 24 of them, whatever that number is. I forget the number at this point. With TV, I used to fly back and forth from Austin to Los Angeles and Nashville to Los Angeles and beg for meetings for just anybody to take me for any TV show whatsoever. When I started doing American Idol, I was losing money. They took me for one episode and I had to
Starting point is 02:18:08 just do just a good enough job for them to go, oh, we like that, come back. And now I have a really good deal with them, like a great deal with them. So my point is that if you want someone to be rejected and someone that's not supposed to be where they are, it's me and us. And so, but nobody's supposed to be anywhere. You only get what. you work for and that was the conversation we had with them like okay i've been rejected a bunch too your life's not over a lot of people look at and i you know with luke and lionel and katie you don't think they were rejected a million times yeah so and you don't appreciate anything if you get it all the time i think i would like i said before i'd rather be opra than the queen Oprah grew up had it tough
Starting point is 02:18:51 but can appreciate because she did have it so tough yeah she's a billionaire now i think she's a billionaire right wouldn't you assume? I'm sure she is. But she grew up rough, so she knows the difference. The queen, you're just rich your whole life. You don't know how awesome you have it because you never didn't have it awesome. I know that's a double negative.
Starting point is 02:19:11 But I appreciate now and I, you know, I say a lot that I appreciate how hard I had it growing up because I now, at this stage in my life, know how good I have it and how good I can help other people have it. I can now empathize with people because of the struggles that I've had and I'm so grateful for them at this point.
Starting point is 02:19:29 Anyway, that was a conversation ahead. It's good stuff. I hope they use it. You know what's annoying? Oh, yeah, that's going to be annoying. Sometimes I will work, and this is just, when you're not the main person, you go and you show up and I'll put in 12, 13 hours, and they may use 30 seconds of the work that I do. Sometimes they use none of it, and that's up to them. I know what I'm paid to do.
Starting point is 02:19:45 Go on and do my job. I bring them tons of material. Sometimes they don't use it. And good for them, that's up to them. I can't be frustrated at that. But sometimes I'm like, dang, man, hope they're going to use this. Because that's pretty much nailing it. They don't use it.
Starting point is 02:19:57 that for later. Well, if they don't use it, I'm just like, well, it wasn't right for right now. But it's not my job to tell them what content to use. If I'm not Luke or Lionel or Katie and I'm not, or Ryan, I show up. I mean, but you're in all the pictures with them. I know, it's pretty cool. I'm on the billboards this year. So I mean, yeah.
Starting point is 02:20:13 Oh, you're on the billboards? Yes. Oh, that's awesome. I show up. I put in my work. My job is to show up and do the work. It doesn't have to get on the air. But if it does, that's nice.
Starting point is 02:20:22 But anyway, okay. Okay. Am I done? Yeah, I mean, if it doesn't show up, you'll wake up tomorrow. And do it again. It depends on how you handle it. And I have a good attitude. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:20:33 And I'm like, I'm getting paid to do this work. All these stuff you've gone through is like the calluses on your hand. That's prepared you for where you are. You're making fun of me, but okay. No, I'm not. I'm, no, I'm soaking up what you're saying. The sun will come up tomorrow. Bet your bottom dollar bet tomorrow.
Starting point is 02:20:53 There'll be sun. Just thinking about tomorrow. All right, thank you. Bobby boom, come on. There's something you aren't doing on your way to work and home that will help you live longer. And what do you think that is? You could do it, but it would take you a minute. Like, are you driving?
Starting point is 02:21:17 Riding your bike. Oh, yeah, that would take a minute. But I could do it. You'd take you longer. Yeah. It'd be okay, though. I have a bike in my garage that is still wrapped. Like I used to ride it to do triathlons, but then I was, when I moved, I wrapped it.
Starting point is 02:21:32 Oh. And I just sits there, but now, now some of these bikes have computers on them. Or to switch a gear, you just push a button. You ever see those? No, I haven't. I'm all embarrassed to get out to my old bike. You got to use your hand. Yeah, I'm like, click, yeah.
Starting point is 02:21:45 Researchers discover the people who rode their bikes had a significant reduction in mortality. Yeah, probably just because you're exercising. What? When I used to ride bikes on the street, it was dangerous. So you would almost die by getting hit by a bike? Yeah. Oh, yeah. What's up with you?
Starting point is 02:22:00 Where? Today. Today? My sister's in town, so really we just got some appointments to do with my dad. She came to see him and hang out with us. So, and then we'll just do stuff with the kids. What about you? We're shooting a promo, Eddie and I are, for, we're putting in a song on Thursday.
Starting point is 02:22:19 Oh. Raging Idiot songs. We're shooting a promo for that. Luke Combs is coming over to the house later for a bobbycast. So it should be a pretty packed day Again, I just got to get some sleep Yeah, when are you going to do that? I don't know
Starting point is 02:22:32 Well, I'm just going to try to catch up slowly I was in Hawaii the last four days And you'd think that would be kind of exciting But I flew out there, it took about 13 hours Then went to work two days and flew right back So it was kind of like bam bam Bam bam, thank you ma'am You still jet lagged? Is that what it's called?
Starting point is 02:22:49 A little bit because it's a four-hour time difference Yeah, big time Yeah So I didn't go to sleep at all yesterday because it was like I got to try to get to sleep on time tonight. So I kind of sat through and just forced myself to stay awake, help my eyes open. I'd go like run around. I'd be good though. I was good.
Starting point is 02:23:06 Maybe right after Luke Combs leaves, you can just go to bed. Well, it'd be almost that time anyway. But check tonight. We may put it up tonight. But check out. Search the Bobbycast and subscribe. And we'd appreciate that. By the way, with the Super Bowl being last night, do you know they get paid if they want or lost?
Starting point is 02:23:21 I didn't. winning team got $124,000 each and losing team got $62,000 each. Oh, that's not bad. So even if you're just on the sidelines or did you have to play? Everybody on the team. You didn't get paid just to go in. That would be terrible if you didn't play at all. Sorry, bud.
Starting point is 02:23:41 Well, I didn't know if you played the whole game, you should make more. Based on the time in the game, they should pay you more? Yeah. It's a contract. It'd be like, Amy, you would get paid on this show. the more I put you on to talk. Well, okay. No, that's not honest.
Starting point is 02:23:58 You just get paid to do your job if you're called in to do your job. I'm sure that Mahoney or whatever. Mahoney. Come on. I'm sure Mahone. Patrick Mahon. No, the fans are the Mahoney's, right? Mahomes.
Starting point is 02:24:11 Mahomes. Like his homies. Oh, that's cute. Okay, so he, I'm sure he gets some sort of bonus, right? For being the MVP, probably. Yeah. As you should, you're like the, you're the Mahomi of the Bobby Bone Show. You're the MVP.
Starting point is 02:24:26 His name's Mahomes. All right, we're going to go. We'll see you tomorrow. Bye, everybody. Come on, Bobby Bone's Show.
