Starting point is 00:02:50 The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. I just got a text a minute ago saying, hey, I heard something on your show and I saved it as my ringtone. know what's from? Is it just the number? It's just the number. And I said, new phone, who did? Oh, it's, who is it?
Starting point is 00:03:05 Somebody I don't even really know. I don't know how they got my number. Oh, that's always weird. Yeah. Okay, let me see. It's somebody in, you don't know who that is. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:13 Let me see, Bones. Somebody, like, I've had the same number for 15 years, right? Oh, yeah. Do you know what it is? No. Yeah. I've had the same for 15 years,
Starting point is 00:03:22 and sometimes listeners will get my number, and they'll just call and be like, what up? And I'll think, I'm like, oh, I should know who it is. And so I'm like, what up? And then they got me. They know it's me. And then I won't change my number.
Starting point is 00:03:34 And so this is one of those where somehow somebody gave him my number. And he called was like, what up? And I was like, what up? I was like, what up? You're good? And I try to figure it out. And then I'm like, I'm like, I have to be honest. Who is this?
Starting point is 00:03:42 And they tell me. I'm like, oh, I don't know you. No. That's a big deal to ask who this is because like most of the time I just ignore it. Yeah. And I, they acted like they knew me though. You're right. They always get me with that.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Yeah, that just happened. And I sent him that emoji that, Eddie and I have a new song coming out tomorrow called The Emoji Love Song So excited But you may actually hear I mean by the time you hear this You hear this it could already be out
Starting point is 00:04:05 But yeah We have a line in that song like I'll send you the face with the teeth Do you know what that is When we say face with teeth? Yes of course I use it all the time Okay And we struggle
Starting point is 00:04:15 We're like how do we describe that Yeah how do we describe that emoji Yeah Because the line is And when it gets awkward I'll send you the face With the teeth Awkward
Starting point is 00:04:22 Yeah We got that Emooge love I can always tell about even like new songs when they come out because what I'll do is I'll watch these two. Amy and Morgan number two. Without them, they know I watch sometimes, but they instinctually bounce to music they like. Yeah. And they both bounce to that song.
Starting point is 00:04:49 What about Lunchbox? He doesn't bounce to anything. The best song ever, he won't bounce. I mean, I bounce every once in a while. Yeah. Very rare. Takes a lot to bounce. JZ, M&M.
Starting point is 00:04:59 But you guys like that, emoji one song? Yeah. Yeah, it's good. Yeah. It's catchy. Hold on. Oh, bless you. Wow, a lot came out on that one.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I haven't been sleeping and like I don't know if I'm getting a cold or if I just haven't been sleeping. It's bad. Like everyone's got something right now. Oh, I'm good. Said Amy. We got that. Emoji love. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:05:27 Me, Eddie, and Brandon Ray wrote that. Shout out Brandon Ray. Shout out. We sat around and said that, I wrote that out. Are you going to reply to that person? No. Probably should because now it's awkward. You say hey.
Starting point is 00:05:39 Oh yeah, you did ask who this. Yeah. And then he replies to be like, oh, what up? Oh, cool. No, but I don't know that person. Okay, I got it. Cool. Dot, dot, dot, cool.
Starting point is 00:05:48 Cool. Cool. Just be like, cool. You have to reply. It's rude not to reply. Cool. Cool. Sin.
Starting point is 00:05:54 You just found out who they were. Cool. Cool. Sin. They tricked me to begin with. They did. They got my number from somebody and they called an act like, I'm a best friend. And I'm like, oh, I must know them.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I just didn't save their phone or about it. Maybe your phone's in a company database. base. It's not. Oh. Maybe it is. Who knows? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:12 But I've never changed it. I don't want to change my number. No, it's a pain of the butt. Yeah, right? Yes. Some people, like artists I know, change their number like every three months. It's like hard to keep up with them. I wonder like somebody got their number and they had to change it.
Starting point is 00:06:24 What if they just are changing it for me? Oh, just here. Bobby keeps texting. And when it gets awkward, I'll send you the face with the teeth. There you go. Thank you. The Miranda story we didn't talk about today as much. That's one.
Starting point is 00:06:37 They had to pull her husband cop from the streets. Wow. Yeah, celebrity status. Wait, so what is he, is it his desk job now? He's a paper pusher. No way.
Starting point is 00:06:45 He's a driver for other people. Is that right? Yeah. The reporters had found him and they were like chasing, like trying to get stories that anyone was working. And he was distracting the other cops. Yeah. It's what I read.
Starting point is 00:06:58 There was even a viral video. Did you see that? Like something that surfaced from five years ago where he was on the streets in New York dancing with some people on the street? No. Yeah, it's like a video that somebody leaked a while back. He was in it.
Starting point is 00:07:09 What's the theory behind this? And by the way, before you go, leave them alone, no, they're public figures and they put it out there. Now they are. Now they are. Now he is, yeah. If they hadn't, and we knew about it, but they didn't share it out publicly, I would go, that's not for us to talk about. We just know something.
Starting point is 00:07:25 That doesn't give us the right to talk about it. They're public figures now. They put it on Instagram. You can talk about it, right? Yeah. They're celebrities. That's part of being a celebrity. I want to know it all now. Like, how did they meet? First of all, my theory, if we're theorying it. My theory is that
Starting point is 00:07:40 this happened because of all the restaurant stuff. Bad look. Kind of flipping plates, looking crazy. Oh, he got taken off the streets because of that. No, no, no. They're a marriage announcement. Oh. They had to cover that story up with this. Because what you do to get rid of one story is make up as have another one. Just a theory, don't know that that's true or not.
Starting point is 00:08:01 Interesting. Lunchmark, what's your theory? She's pregnant. I think she's pregnant and they really. Hormones make you flip out. Right. Hormones make you flip out. And so they put this out there, oh, look, we're married. We're happily married because you're going to find out in two months.
Starting point is 00:08:16 She's pregnant. So she's going to start showing really soon. And so they had to let you know she's married and they've been married for months. I feel like Miranda's one that would care about that. And also, if you, just remember this by you now. Maybe. Right. Nowadays.
Starting point is 00:08:30 If you say you're getting married, but then two months later you're having a baby, everybody still goes, oh, we only got married because you're. Right. Like, who cares? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. No one cares. I'm pretty sure my parents only got married because my mom was pregnant with my sister,
Starting point is 00:08:43 but we didn't find that out until way later. I think my brother too. When my parents got married and my sister was born, I was like, wait a second. I was an accident. My mom was 15 when she got pregnant. So they for sure got married because I was an accident. We all probably accident babies. It's okay.
Starting point is 00:08:58 No, not me. I came. It was my sister. But you were the result of an accident baby. Four years after they got married. But they still. I wonder if I was a surprise or they were like, want another one. No, my point is, they would have never
Starting point is 00:09:09 had you if they didn't accidentally have her. Correct. Yeah. What? My parents were happily married when they had my brother, so we're all made out of love. Isn't it weird that he's like the most normal one of all of us? Yeah, his parents are still together. Still together? Super loving. But, but
Starting point is 00:09:23 that doesn't mean that he wasn't an accident. Like, you can be married and have an accident. I think there's a difference. Surprise. It's a better work. Yeah, they were married five years and they decided to start a family. An accident would be something that you didn't plan to happen, and it's actually and not that good that happened, it might end up being good later.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Okay. My sister. Ooh, an accident. That did. A surprise is, it's actually kind of cool. Yeah. You didn't plan it,
Starting point is 00:09:46 but it's actually kind of cool. Yeah, because like, we were married and we had surprises. Yeah. But I don't like looking, because Bobby, I know where you go with this, that you were an accident,
Starting point is 00:09:52 and I know that that's how, I just don't like you looking at yourself like that. I was for sure an accident. I know, but I just don't like that. You were a blessing. Yeah. You were a blessing.
Starting point is 00:10:02 No, I wasn't. I was not a blessing. But you said that it's like something like, bad early, but it ends up being really good. But that's you, you're good. Accidents can end up being good, but an accident is unwelcome to surprise. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, nobody wants an accident.
Starting point is 00:10:15 You may end up liking it later. It's like, related to a car accident. You bump into a girl and you're like, oh, it ends up being your wife. It's a good accident. Well, all good can come from bad if you allow it. Ooh, even deeper, bones. So you're saying an accident is when you don't... Accidents, if there's a negative feeling about it right then.
Starting point is 00:10:32 Like, so when they... You didn't plan it and it feels negative. A surprise is you didn't plan it and it feels positive. But I don't even think the surprise felt positive Like, you know, when you have a surprise You're just like, oh gosh, like we didn't expect that So it's negative for a little bit Then it's positive
Starting point is 00:10:45 Because I met a girl one time She was an accident And so she got a tattoo right here It said a beautiful accident Oh That's pretty cool Like turned into something cool You get a tattoo like that both
Starting point is 00:10:56 You're a beautiful accident Yeah A beautiful accident Yeah Oh my gosh A bad mother accident Yeah Yeah
Starting point is 00:11:05 I think about what? A bad mother. You get it. They're like pretending to cuss. Bad mother accident. Oh, this dude text me back again. After I say, cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:15 What do you say? It's so awkward. Big fan. He's a fan. Yeah, big fan. Love the show. Aye, aye, aye. I love that.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Yeah. But you just wonder how he got the number. My text number. It's my phone. It's like somebody going home into my house. There's somebody sitting in there going, hey, a big fan. Right. I'm like, but you're my house.
Starting point is 00:11:34 That's cool at all Like I love you but you're my house This is my space This is the one place I get to come Yeah Yeah so there you go Amy you have a theory on the Miranda stuff Nope
Starting point is 00:11:46 I haven't spent much time thinking about it I'll get back to you Yeah I am curious how they met Yeah Like I went into the good morning America Good Morning America He was the cop
Starting point is 00:11:57 Good Morning America Oh that's out there Yeah Well Mystery solved So you're good Amy I'm good Don't investigate it too hard.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Amy, I've all tucked away for the day. Sorry, I haven't been Googling it much, but, oh, wow, so he was the police escort. Man, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:12:14 That's like... Bodyguard. Yeah. I mean, if he does that, he's probably done it for other celebrities. I saw he was on the... Did he have, like, a move? He was a model for a book cover.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Did you guys see that one? No. Something, yeah. Like, all his past is out now? Amy is a good-looking dude? I haven't. I've only seen the wedding photo. He's okay.
Starting point is 00:12:33 I've only seen the wedding photo. And I feel like I can barely see his face Is there a better one? Well, I guess Bobby just said he was a model. He's a good looking guy, though. Guys, he asks Amy. Oh, yes, he's good looking. How old is he?
Starting point is 00:12:47 He looks young. Why does he look so young in that picture? Brendan McLaughlin. Tell me his... Yeah, he's a good looking guy. NYPD. I mean, he's cute, yeah, okay. He does look very young.
Starting point is 00:13:01 I'm looking at a picture of him right now. Hey, there's a new Bobbycast. stuff where Eddie and I talk about major artists and their big hits and they hate playing them. They either don't play them or they hate playing them. It's a pretty fun podcast if you're looking with something to do today. And also Gabby Barrett's one, too. She was an American Idol last season. Now it's mostly, it's a little bit of American Idol, but mostly about her trying to get a record deal now and what she's doing, like playing in front of random three people at executives and that whole story. So, yeah. Okay, so Lunchbox thinks Miranda's pregnant. Yep. I think that's a
Starting point is 00:13:29 picture of him with a dog. You just got cuter. That's why I need a dog. How do you spell his last name? Yeah, you should get a dog. Trying to add him on Facebook. It's time. To get more stuff? Yeah. Is he younger than her? Yeah, he's 27.
Starting point is 00:13:43 He's 27. How old's Miranda? 35. Oh, wow. Wow. Not bad, buddy. He's 27. He's younger than Taylor Swift.
Starting point is 00:13:52 And you know, he does look like a kid in that picture. Mike D. Spell's last name. And you know what's going to happen? He's always going to be known as, after this doesn't work out, he's going to be known as Miranda's husband forever. He'll be that guy. The cop. Wait, don't have, don't have you of little. Faith, you just said after they don't work out.
Starting point is 00:14:05 You're already saying they're not going to make it. I'm just playing the odds here. Yeah, like Vegas would make those kind of odds. It'd be tough. Based on our history. Based on anyone's history, you can predict not always be right the future. I wonder if it's weird for Blake to see that she got married. He said he didn't care.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Blake was like good or something like that. Oh, really? Yeah. He's so funny. You're filling me out on all my questions. That's why Amy doesn't do skin anymore. She's checked out of that part of it. Wow.
Starting point is 00:14:30 Okay. Well, Blake, he's fine with that. But Blake wasn't, she was with Blake, and then she was with Anderson East. And then she was with that Evan dude who left his wife or whatever. Oh, I thought Evan was Anderson East's real name. No, two different dudes. No, he was like another singer-songwriter. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:47 And then I dated Miranda for a while. That didn't work out. No way. No, she wouldn't want Andrew. She's hot, though, dude. I know. I'm not saying I would. She really is beautiful.
Starting point is 00:14:55 And like in person, you're like. She is beautiful. Like y'all are. I actually like her. I don't know her that well. Of all the, and I usually have a story about everybody. Like you can just name somebody and I go, oh, I got a good story about that. I don't really have anything I'm random personally.
Starting point is 00:15:08 Like after she went hiding for a while, we were the first show she did, but I don't have anything really. That's right. I just thought of something that I know that now I can't say, but I'll tell you in a minute. Yeah. That now is all making sense. Is it good? Write it down. Text it to me.
Starting point is 00:15:24 No, we'll just talk about it when we get done. And take it to me. I want to see it now. Okay. Okay. And what do you mean by all making sense? Well. Amy's put together clues again.
Starting point is 00:15:32 She's like, she used to be married. another singer? No. Name Blockay. Is it her literally writing it down
Starting point is 00:15:42 with her big pen. Through the paragraph. Anyway, I mean, now it's making sense why I wasn't thinking
Starting point is 00:15:47 about it but she was saying something about and I was like why would she do that? Oh, it has to do with Taylor Swift too.
Starting point is 00:15:54 That makes sense. Taylor Swift. Yeah, I know. Here's the thing about New York. This is the thing. It's all coming together.
Starting point is 00:16:00 Yes, yes. This is the thing about Amy, right? is that Amy doesn't even know how cool she is because she doesn't really consider the people she hangs out with to be cool. Those are just people that she knows, but she's on such the inside,
Starting point is 00:16:13 but it's not for the reason to be on the inside. Amy just makes friends so easily that she's in all these circles with like songwriters and artists and stylists, and she's like, oh yeah, I happen to know something about that. And I'm like, how? She's, well, I was with, Dolly Parton yesterday. And I'm like, what?
Starting point is 00:16:27 How we were shopping? Yeah. She's like, but I don't even see her as Dolly Parton the artist. She's just totally, darling my friend. Yeah, my friend. All right, we're good. We're square. We're going to start today's show.
Starting point is 00:16:39 Thank you for hanging with us. I got a text here. Did Bobby originally like Amy more than as a friend? Duh. Oh, shut up. Do you go ahead and answer? No. Rude.
Starting point is 00:16:54 Well, did you like him more than a friend? Duh. Bobby's rude. No, we both say that about each other. Duh. But we've never. I think Amy was in love with me. What? Now you're lying.
Starting point is 00:17:05 That's true. I'm lying. Okay, no. To answer the question, you address this in your book. Do I? I thought, and your first one that we've never... Read? You never read? No. No. First one I read, cover to cover. I had to do a whole thing. You're right, I did.
Starting point is 00:17:17 I was like, Amy and I've never done anything. Yeah. Like, in our years. I mean, look, we've been together how long? 16 years? 15 years, 14 years? Like, nothing. Not even held hands? No, I don't think so, right? No, unless it's like for a bit or something.
Starting point is 00:17:27 That would be more intimate than... Why would we hold hands? Kiss on the forehead? No. Did you share a popcorn? Probably. But we do that now. Pretty intimate.
Starting point is 00:17:37 Okay. No, but I'm saying like, people will be like, for sure at some point you guys hooked up, right? No, even if we say no, nothing's ever happened. They're like, whatever, I don't believe it. Because that's just not possible. And I'm like, well, that's possible. I never did anything with Sharna. And we were, I was basically getting her pregnant to her dance pants.
Starting point is 00:17:52 Right. Because we're dancing so close, you know? Yeah. Nothing. All up in that. There's a line, a professional line. Right. I have it. I draw it.
Starting point is 00:18:04 People always like, Bobby, want you to get with Morgan number two? You can see those Morgan number two? Oh yeah, all the time. And I'm like, again? Just kidding. You got to... Yes, no, of course not. Hey, look, check this out.
Starting point is 00:18:16 I'm a professional. What do you have? Is that one of those switchblade combs? She can't even use it. Amy's got some sort of switchblade comb. Is it a switchblade comb? This is the one my son has where I thought it was a switchblade. And I'm like, where did he get that?
Starting point is 00:18:30 But I stole it from him. You literally thought your switch blade. son had a switch blade. Yeah, he told you about it. I know, but you thought it was a blade. Well, I was like, who bought this for him? And then, bam. Amy's 80th kicking in, because right in the middle of me talking about a segment, she's like, look at my toy. Yeah. Because I saw it in my bag and I was like, I had to borrow it to start. I've started to tease my hair. Oh, yeah? Mm-hmm. Hire the hair closer to God.
Starting point is 00:18:50 All right. That's it. Okay, I have to go. Do you get that from Dolly? Yes. Actually. We'll see you. Here's today's show. This is Thursday's show. Have a good day. Everybody. See soon. Yeah, man. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're transmitting across America.
Starting point is 00:19:08 This is the Bobby Bones. Welcome to the show. Got a good one today. By the way, let me say how to all my friends here. Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie, Morgan number two. Producer Raisin here. More studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:19:23 Judah and the Lion are going to come and play in the studio. They're like folk hip-hop bands. Right? Yeah. Bandrum. Yeah, that's the folk part of it, right? Like, the man... So, I'm big fan of these guys,
Starting point is 00:19:46 and they won, like, our IHat Radio new alternative artist of the year last year, but they're gonna come in and play. They have a new song with Casey Musgraves out today. So, I guess it was out yesterday. Or Tuesday.
Starting point is 00:19:55 Tuesday. Tuesday. I think... Now they're coming out on Tuesday again? Wednesday, I think. Yeah. I think people just release songs now. That's not true,
Starting point is 00:20:01 because mostly it's Friday, which is why I'm confused. This is the new song. They're going to be in later. They're going to play. Fun fact Judah of Judah and the Lion is Gator's nephew
Starting point is 00:20:15 Our station program director So how you feel about that? I knew it I mean I don't know I feel like Fun fact It is fun fact Ray Mundo our audio producers in here
Starting point is 00:20:25 And he was watching Dustin Lynch cut wood On his Instagram Instead picture He's got like a chainsaw Yeah he posted a picture up there By the way Dustin Lynch
Starting point is 00:20:33 Look pretty good That picture camo pants Like look pretty cut I commented on there I was like I don't see your legs Because there's a camo but I was moved by it.
Starting point is 00:20:41 But Ramundo says he, well, that's not real? Yeah, so I'm a lumberjack. I'm from the north. My family, honestly, my dad, he's worked in the lumber industry. He was cutting the log in his Instagram picture, Dustin Lynch was, totally wrong. Like, that's the way you get injured. When you saw it on a tree, you start at the base. That way you can control the log, it's not going to go out of control.
Starting point is 00:21:00 It's not going to hit you in the face. The way he's doing it, one log almost hit him in the lake. The other one, it'll backfire in jackknife and hit you right in the face. and he's just doing some pose. I mean, he could have been seriously hurt. That is not how you cut a tree. There you go. I mean, it's an action shot for sure.
Starting point is 00:21:16 Like, they got the wood, like, it's being chopped, and then the woods, like, falling. I liked it, though. That's like art. Ray Mundo, talked to me before the show. He's like, I need to say something about this picture. Like, he's fired up. Your family comes from a bunch of lumberjacks, right?
Starting point is 00:21:32 Yeah, we'll cut them, and then we take him to the lumber mill, and usually you work for a couple hours to make $100 off wood. It's probably what Dustin Lynch is doing right there. He could have made $100, but I don't think he even sold it to a lumber mill. You think he's just posing the paper? I think he's either posing or maybe burnt it in some like bonfire. Justin captioned it manscaping. Yeah, get it.
Starting point is 00:21:50 And then Bobby goes, wear your legs, though. Because he's in Cambo Pants, you get it? We're just all joking all over there. There you go. All right. Thank you, Raymundo. I got it. Ramundo, what's up with you and your girls?
Starting point is 00:22:04 Do you guys move houses? Yeah, we're in the process. I mean this week, into next week a little bit, all before the first. Why did you have to move out of your apartment? They're bulldozing it. They're going to crush it, build a condo, hotel, both. And so you guys are moving to a different part of town? Yep, west side of Nashville, moving out of downtown.
Starting point is 00:22:20 It was crazy. It was fun for five years, but you always got to move on, move to the burbs. Okay. You guys think about maybe taking that next step as a couple? Oh, there's always that chance. Maybe engagement? Absolutely. If you don't think, you're kidding yourself.
Starting point is 00:22:32 You don't think I don't think about it. All right. No update? No update. with that, but you never know when I swing by a ring store. They've been together five years. All right, there you go. The Bobby Bones Show.
Starting point is 00:22:44 Big three stories. Our producer, Raimundo, is in the glass room with a stack of news. Ray Mundo, what you got? Yeah, and Airline News, Southwest, is taking a lot of planes out of service because of mechanical issues. Dozens of planes have been grounded for maintenance issues in the last week. It's causing long lines and flight delays, so heads up on that. In sports college basketball star Zion Williamson got hurt last night for Duke in the first minute of the game.
Starting point is 00:23:09 We'll know today when he's coming back. And finally in West Virginia, the teachers are returning today after striking for a couple days. Hey, you know my nickname is, right? Country music's youngest historian. Thank you very much. I try to be a good historian. It just happens that I'm not 80. Yeah, you're done.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Yeah, you know. The Bobby Vaughn Show. On this day in country music. On this day in 1999, 20 years ago, Mark Chestnut, had a. number one country song with his remake of I Don't Want to Miss a Thing from Aerosmith. Do you remember this or no? I can't say that I do. Mark Chestnut's cover spent two weeks in number one being the last number one of his career.
Starting point is 00:24:05 Wow, what year? 1999, 20 years ago. Chestnut later said he didn't even like this version of the song. He insisted the decision was not his. It was his labels. And he felt he had to do it or his career was over. He said George Jones got mad at him for doing it. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:24:28 But it was two weeks of number one? Yeah, two week number one. 1999, 20 years ago. By the way, fun fact, the original version by Aerosmith is their first and only number one song ever. That's crazy Yeah Like Billboard Top Hot 100
Starting point is 00:24:49 Number 1 song Only one Out of all their stuff And they've been a band Since the late 60s So like crazy Was it number one? Walk This Way wasn't a number one
Starting point is 00:24:58 Like on the main pop chart It wasn't Yeah Of all the songs You go to crazy First I'm Okay sorry
Starting point is 00:25:05 No no I just wondered That's all All right That's what's up Today Catch your music Thank you for everyone
Starting point is 00:25:11 Don't That was it Hayden I was just asking It was a good song Right Is it what? Yeah That was
Starting point is 00:25:17 This Day in country music Bobby boom Let's go over to Melissa in California Hey Melissa Hey Bobby Good morning to you What can I help you with I just wanted to tell Amy
Starting point is 00:25:29 I love the podcast With her husband He was so funny I was thought he was really serious Because of the way You guys talk about How he's like You know
Starting point is 00:25:38 Mr. G.I. Joe But he was hilarious I would love to have like a podcast With all of the spouses That it was so interesting Amy's podcast from last week in her podcast, Four Things with Amy Brown.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Her husband comes on and talks about how he deals with Amy in her time of the month. And he is GI Joe, though. Yeah, honestly, though, that's, I'll have to pass this along to him. I don't think I've ever heard anybody describing him as hilarious,
Starting point is 00:26:00 so he'll like that. Okay, let's give him this clip. Melissa, so you like Amy's podcast, huh? I love it, yes. You would recommend it to our other listeners? Yes, definitely. I love it. Four things with Amy Brown.
Starting point is 00:26:14 By the way, listening to podcast is free. Just go to IHart Radio and search four things. with Amy Brown. New episodes up today. What's up on today's episode? Well, I've got my doctor, my family doctor on talking about placebo effect and how we can use our minds to heal ourselves a little bit at times. And then we're talking IV hydration, like different things you can do to help yourself if you're feeling sick. I need a placebo my shoulder. It's been hurting for four months. It's the point now I'm going to have to start
Starting point is 00:26:42 injecting myself with stuff. Just inject yourself with water and tell yourself it's going to make you better. It might. Placemial effect. Tony, you're on. How are you, bud? Hey, all right, Bobby. How are you doing, brother?
Starting point is 00:26:52 Good man. Where do you live? I live in St. Petersburg, Florida. It's nice 80 degrees right now. Yeah, I'm jealous. Well, what can I do for you, bud? Well, first, you're all crazy about the whole raining argument.
Starting point is 00:27:04 Yeah, that was a whole thing where the girls on the show were going. We would like to have two to three months from our guy. And I got to say this from you ladies when you're talking about that. You were honest. That's the best thing you can be. People can disagree with you. That's okay. But as long as you're honest, who cares?
Starting point is 00:27:17 It's so hard. People were hating, like, all day online. That's okay. They can hate. But as long as you're honest, that's all that I can ask for. Yeah. You can go play to Fruit Loop, you know, as long as the person loves it and you show your expression of love. I mean, there's two reasons you buy a ring.
Starting point is 00:27:34 You buy a ring to show the girl you want to spend your life with them, or you buy a ring to let the whole world know how much you love them because you just went big and crazy. Yeah, either way. Some people go, it's not about money. but you can spend all your money on it too all right what else Tony what can I help you with you know I just wanted to say thank you guys I have never been into country music I have a 10 year old daughter
Starting point is 00:27:54 who I take to school every morning and she told me one day about a year and a half ago to put on the Bobby Bone show and we've been listening together every single solitary morning since and you know I think you're more than entertainment you're also
Starting point is 00:28:09 your values and everything you guys share you you really bring families together I love every single day talking about everything. Listen to Amy's morning corny trying to guess it. We love it all. What thing? Except for the whole,
Starting point is 00:28:21 they're, you know, being real materialistic with the rings. They're pretty cool, huh? Yeah. Shoot. Do you have a favorite artist since you're new to country music that you listen to and you go, man,
Starting point is 00:28:32 they're really good? You know, I have. I've actually gone to a couple Jason Aldean concerts and a couple of Kenny Chesney concerts. Oh, wow. You went big. Yeah, those are some good ones.
Starting point is 00:28:43 And now we're going to the Tortoos of Music Festival. Now we actually travel around the country going to country music shows. I like that. Number one. Yeah, look at that. Well, I appreciate that. Hey, Tony, tell your daughter. We say hello too.
Starting point is 00:28:54 All right, guys. Amy, Bobby, Lunchbox. Love you all. Morgan number two. Thanks for every day. Thanks for a great ride to work every day. I appreciate it. All right, buddy.
Starting point is 00:29:02 See you later. There is Tony in Florida. Bobby Bohn show. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30-second skinny. The ACM Awards nominees were announced. Chris Stapleton and Dan and Shea lead the nominations with six each.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Casey Musgraves followed up with five nombs, Dirk's Bentley receiving four, and the full list is at Bobby Bones.com. Jake Owen is nominated at the upcoming ACM Awards for his song, Down to the Honky Talk. It's up for single of the year. It's Jake's first nomination since 2009, and he shared the news on social media saying, holy guacamole, I just woke up with my little girl laying on my shoulder
Starting point is 00:29:39 to find out about this. Life can't get much better. Mary Morris revealed the 14 song list for her new album called Girl. In sharing the news, she's shared a collaboration on the album with Brothers Osborne called All My Favorite People. The album is out on March 8th. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinning. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:29:57 With lunchbox. Damn it's something good. A woman was driving outside of New Orleans. She gets hit by another car, and her car goes up in flames immediately. No time to wait for the fire department. Four random people stopped their car. jump out, run to the lady's car, and pull her from the burning vehicle. Wow.
Starting point is 00:30:18 On the road. On the highway. Wow. What was that story you were talking about yesterday where somebody got hit? Yeah, they were changing a tire, got a flat tire, changing on the side of the road, and they got hit by a car. But then a police officer, off duty, was driving home and saw and was able to help the man. Did a tourniquet right away. Some quick thinkers, man.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Because he had the training, like, if it would have been you or me, pulled over to help, we'd be like, okay, 911. Are you guys trained in anything? CPR. CPR. Stay in alive. No, but like really trained. No, like, really, I took CPR class and I'm in infant CPR.
Starting point is 00:30:56 When did you take this? CPR in college, so like 10 years ago, 15 years ago, infant CPR six months ago. To get my kid out of the hospital, I had to learn it. Is that right? Yeah, to get him out of the NICU. How long did that class take? About 20 minutes. Oh, wait, I thought it was like a...
Starting point is 00:31:12 And on an infant, do you do it like with your fingers? Yep, fingers. Okay. Do you do toddler CPR now? Is that a different class? No, I don't know. How old is it? I don't know what you consider a toddler.
Starting point is 00:31:23 He's still got a baby. Toddler's like two or three. Two or three? Your kid's not like five now? He looks at it. I mean, acts it. He's very advanced for his age. Oh, is he?
Starting point is 00:31:32 Yeah. Does every parent do their kids advance? No, mine are not. Well, no, yours were older and they came from another country. So they were, maybe they were advanced. Haiti. Yeah. Although, I will say my daughter's school has defined her as gifted. Okay. Right?
Starting point is 00:31:48 Yeah. We found the song that, by the way, your daughter likes to listen to and write all the lyrics to. Don't let me down by the chain smokers. That's the one you're talking about. She wrote down every single lyric, comma, everything. She wrote, don't let me, don't let me, don't let me. If there was five downs, it was, don't let me down.
Starting point is 00:32:11 And her English is good? Better? It's getting so much better. But I told her, I was like, if this is an activity you like, Go for it. You and Alexis sit down, you write down all the lyrics. It really does help her. That's cool. Well, there you go. Bobid Bones Show. Bonehead.
Starting point is 00:32:24 The story comes up to us from Chickapie, Massachusetts. A criminal forgot the number one rule when you're going to break into somewhere. Always cover your tracks. He broke into a convenience store. There's fresh snow on the ground. And he led him right to his front door, blocking a half away. That's like 90s sitcom dumb. Wow.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Yeah. Yeah. All right, so they just tracked the... Yeah, they just tracked the... You need the cops look and go. Is this serious? Like, this is a joke? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:53 Someone literally left snow prints from the robbery all the way to a place. Yeah. You know how you find Will Smith in the snow, right? How do I find Will Smith in the snow? You look for the fresh prints. There you go.
Starting point is 00:33:06 I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. I got a story here about a father like hitting the bully of his kid. Do you see the story? Yeah, it's a stepfather and he gets a call from his stepdaughter saying,
Starting point is 00:33:31 hey, you know, I'm being bullied. This guy's throwing rocks at me, ice cream on the way home from school. So the stepdad drives and picks her up and as they're driving back to the house, they see the 12-year-old boy walking down the street. So the stepdad pulls over, confronts him, and boom, slaps him across the face. Do we know how old the stepdad was? Because I didn't see it in the story. It does not say how old he was, but he, by his picture in the news story, he looks 35-ish.
Starting point is 00:34:02 Okay, if there's a 12-year-old talking crap to you lunchbox. Like, he's really talking crap to you. You're 37? Yeah, I'm 37. Okay, there's a 12-year-old. He's just non-stop. What do you do? I kind of don't blame this, dad.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Like, I kind of feel like he was teaching the 12-year-old like, this is what it's like when you pick on someone. This is what happens. You can't hit a kid. Oh, he's 37. So he's your age. Okay. See, like I said, he looked 35-ish. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:29 And I think, and I bet you the boy leaves that girl alone now. Well, I think the dad probably goes to jail and has to pay a fine. Well, he did get arrested. Yeah, like something happens there. Yeah. It's just you have to know better. Do you want to slap the kid? Probably.
Starting point is 00:34:42 Should you as an adult? No. You shouldn't. I mean, you're an adult man hitting a kid. Yeah. You get your kid and you go. What? Yeah, you can't hit the kid.
Starting point is 00:34:52 And he did tell the kid, look. After he slapped him, he said, look, don't tell the police or I'll beat you up. Oh, wow. Now he threatened him. Wait, he did that, though. Yeah, okay. And you'd probably do that. You got to stick up for your kid.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Yeah, but no, you do, but you also want to teach your kid. Is that what you want to teach your kid? Just, like, hit people? Well, I mean, defending yourself is one thing, but as an adult beating up a kid, that's different. Right. And they just pulled over, and it's not like he was physically attacking the daughter. But what if he takes a kid and goes, okay, go beat him up? See, that's a good...
Starting point is 00:35:26 He could find another kid to do it. Well, now I'm putting hits on people. Okay. The big debate online is how many towels should you own? As an adult, how many towels do you have and do you own? Amy? Oh, we probably have a... Like, in my husband-ey's bathroom.
Starting point is 00:35:43 We've probably got about eight. Okay. Four on each side. The big Twitter debate is how many, and the common answer is 10. Yeah. I mean, you buy the towels. I'm sure at one point we had 10, too, have probably just disappeared. But I'd say when I registered for towels, I got that many.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Lunchbox? Oh, I got more than 10 because I got ones like, my parents used to save the Marlboro Miles. When you smoke a pack of cigarettes, you got five miles per box, and you cash them in. I got marbro towels from that, and I still have them. I have towels from my college days. Never got rid of them. I mean, but you're talking your towels that you have in your bathroom, not like your ear. Yeah, no, that's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:36:19 I use them. Oh, okay. Absolutely. I have some really old towels, too, but they're like my. They're my towels when the dog comes in wet towels. Yeah, I got one that's like a big one for my grandparents that says shark and it has a bunch of sharks on it. I have, what are you? I have a 30.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Excuse me? I had a bunch of credit card points and I had to use them. In your bathroom? Everywhere and every bowl. How many people live with you? Nobody just me. You have 30 towels. I do.
Starting point is 00:36:44 But this is why all my, my points were expiring. And it was like go and buy stuff and I could buy, I bought two, I thought there were two five packs of towels. There were two 15 packs of towels. and so I have 30 towels in my bathroom. You would not have to wash towels for two years. No, that's not true. With 30 towels, I have to wash towels about more than once a month. And I don't even get to the...
Starting point is 00:37:05 What? You don't even get to the bottom. No. You can use one a month for the next... One a month? You use the same towel for a month? Probably about a month. About three weeks, probably.
Starting point is 00:37:18 You use the same towel for three weeks? Your wife doesn't... Nobody, you don't grab it and wash it. Why, if you don't do, you don't do a load of towels? How long does she use hers? She probably goes, she goes through towels way too fast. Like one or two, like every two days she switches towels, which is crazy. That's about what I would do unless I'm at the gym.
Starting point is 00:37:36 The gym, I get gross. Yeah, I can't leave you use a towel once a month. Why, you just, you hang it up, it dries off. Yeah, I know. And it's crazy how that works, isn't it? I know. That's gross. I mean.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Morgan number two, you're 25. How many towels? You have one? I have four. Four. Yeah, you live by yourself. Yeah. Young.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Well, 10's the, 10s the common there. Hey, it's Bobby Bones here. Man, talking about this for a while. If you haven't played Best Fiends yet, man, you're missing out. Starting point is 00:38:12 Like, go look at the rating of Best Fiend. That's how you know it's a good game. You saw thousands of fun puzzles. You collect tons of characters. We love the game here on the show. Morgan No. 2 loves the game. I think she plays it every morning before we start playing work, or at least most mornings.

Starting point is 00:39:03 Come on in here. Judah, come over here. Judah, you're right there, bud. Look at these guys come rocking in here. We got real rock stars, boy. We rarely get rock stars around here. Super big rock stars. Come on. You know what I've been trying to get you on the show for a long time. Thanks for having us, dude.
Starting point is 00:39:21 We have so many odd ties. It's like your uncle is the station manager And forever he'd be like I got a nephew who plays a little bit of music We'd be like we don't care Right? Yeah, whatever Everybody's got a nephew that plays music
Starting point is 00:39:32 Well I kept asking Tony to start freaking playing us on his stations He never would Who's Tony? Sorry, Gator Yeah Who knew that Gator had a name Uncle Tony
Starting point is 00:39:43 Dude, dude Dude to see you, man Good to see you too I haven't seen you since I guess our IHeart Village Vegas I mean I've seen you on TV Ah yes
Starting point is 00:39:51 If you're gonna ask me for dance lessons don't. I'm on it. You can't afford it. It's way too expensive. I'm way too good. Look at you guys. You guys, everybody good?
Starting point is 00:39:59 Everybody's good. Do you guys ever play morning? Do you ever play music on morning shows? Is that a thing? We did, Jim, man. We did a good morning America. That was like super morning, though. That was like 3 a.
Starting point is 00:40:10 This is a more normal morning. So, but like as a rock man, and you do the rock shows, do they make you come in and play songs? Or do you just go in and be like, no, man, we're rockers, we're cool. No, we like playing. You do?
Starting point is 00:40:19 Yeah, because we have acoustic instruments. And so, like, for us, I think it's like a really cool kind of flavor to kind of go in and play. New songs out today with Casey Musgraves. Yeah, how about that? What the timing of that, by the way, let me just say this. I love Casey, my favorite contemporary country artist. And cool that she would do a song with you guys. But how about the timing?
Starting point is 00:40:38 She goes and wins all the Grammys and now she's on your song, right when it comes out? Come on. Call that God's timing. Wow. Yeah, we're very excited. Put those headphones on for a second. Let me play. This is a song right here called,
Starting point is 00:40:51 Pictures, it's Judah and the Lion featuring Casey Musgraves. Look what. I hate that I'm taking our pictures off. How do you get Casey to do a song with you? Do you reach out to her people? You go to her house? How does that work? Knock on her door.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Yeah, I live in East Nashville and she lives in East. So we just... See each other at the coffee shop? Yeah, I just like, hey, I want you to sing my song, please. You don't know who I am, but I'm a big fan of your music and what you do. So come and sing on this song, and she did. So we talked her into it, East Nashville. Did you ever really? But really it was just like,
Starting point is 00:41:52 I fell in love with her music a long time ago. I think maybe just the Nashville ties and the way that she kind of mixes genres, like in maybe a similar way that we do, but she does it in her own very, very special way, obviously. And I don't know, just like, when I wrote this song, I was like, man, this sounds like a very influence
Starting point is 00:42:10 because I was super into her new record when I wrote this song. And I was like, this sounds very influenced by her and what she was doing. And I was like, man, if we could get her on this record, it would be unbelievable. Like, that was like my prayer. But the fact that it happened was just like, oh, thank God.
Starting point is 00:42:31 Yeah, it was unbelievable. Do you do any of the studio stuff at the same time, or were you up there at all? Or did she just send you at perfect, right? Yeah, so we decided we cut the song already. And she was, I think, like in Japan or in Asia. It's like she was somewhere off. And she came in five days off.
Starting point is 00:42:47 and when she came into the studio, like we were like, I at least want to just recut the vocal with her. So it feels like natural and kind of more of like a duet than it did just kind of like, oh, I'd already sing my part, and then you go in the studio,
Starting point is 00:42:59 it kind of felt like a little bit manufactured to do it that way. So we just decided to go in together and kind of see how our vocal blended. That's cool. My vocal is very harsh compared to her beautiful vocal. So I was like, I really hope this works,
Starting point is 00:43:13 but somehow I did. If a bunch of our listeners, and a lot of our listeners, probably are familiar with Judah and the lion. How would you describe your sound? We've always struggled to say that because, you know, that's what people say, like, at the beginning is, you know, you need to, when somebody, when you're in an Uber driver and you're an elevator, like, and somebody asks you, like, what kind of music you play,
Starting point is 00:43:36 you need to have an answer, you know, that's the typical. So you can, like, sell them on it. And we were like, oh, we've never been really good salesman. So our last record, we decided just to call it full cop and roll. and folk hop and roll folk hip hop and rock and roll got it a little bit of kind of a little bit of everything
Starting point is 00:43:54 the way that we all met in college about six years ago and you know we all have different backgrounds not that we need to go into all that but between the three of us you know we kind of represent almost every genre there's not a genre I don't think that between the three of us that we don't really like you got a banjo on here hit that banjo for a second
Starting point is 00:44:13 will you come on so are you the Folk, the hop, or the role? Like, if y'all each represent a genre, who fits into what kind of category? Yeah, I think it's, like, sure. No, you have to answer, which one are you? Folk or hip-hop or rock and roll? I don't want to say folk, but that's easy.
Starting point is 00:44:36 You do have the ban. Which one are you, Judah? Are you the hip-hop? I think a hip-hop, yeah. I would like to be. I don't know if I have enough swag for that, but I'm trying. And then Brian would probably be the rock and roll. I look at you guys
Starting point is 00:44:47 Listen I've been You know we're big fans We talk about you guys all the time Sometimes you know We play your stuff even though You know you're not country When you were tweeting I'll tell you when you're like
Starting point is 00:44:55 Putting the cowboy hats on the emojis I was like what are these boys about to do Put a full country record out Were you guys messing with people a little bit It was just kind of like a fun thing Like we love country music And we'll like love what country music It represents
Starting point is 00:45:08 And since we're from Nashville You know That's what people kind of expect It's like oh you're just You're in a country band You know for an Uber from out of town like you're from Nashville. You have a banjo in your band.
Starting point is 00:45:18 You're obviously a country band. One of those things like we had asked a lot, you know, what genre are you? How do you explain yourself? And we just all kind of thought it would be a funny joke to say, we're a country brand. Because it's where we're from exactly what you're saying. But we kind of got caught with that a little bit.
Starting point is 00:45:35 When Casey finally said that she wanted to. And especially like overseas, too. It's like if you're from Nashville, overseas, it feels like a lot of times, you know, the typical answer would be like, yeah, we're a country band. So we just kind of wanted to represent that. I want to talk about this song for a second. The new song is called Pictures, Judah and the Lion with Casey Musgraves.
Starting point is 00:45:55 Tell me about the song. What's the mean? Yeah, so this song is kind of a little bit, I guess, heavy in context. It kind of sets up the story of the record a little bit, and that's the reason why we wanted to come out kind of before the, I guess the rest of the content comes out. But the bulk of the record is kind of very personal, kind of affair for me. My
Starting point is 00:46:25 family, I grew up in Cookville, Tennessee, which is shout out to the 931 back home. The 931? Yeah. How many people live in Cookville? How many people? Yeah. Well, it's a college town. So maybe like $50,000.
Starting point is 00:46:42 Oh, okay. All right, right. Like, small big, like, we were like the big, we were the big town. You were town? Big town, big city. Yeah, we had town. But when you've got, you're a small town. I know it's like I feel that because I feel like I went to a university that was in a small town.
Starting point is 00:46:57 Like I went to Texas Aintem and College Station. Small town, but the university made it. Made it big. Yeah. That's kind of like what it is. And like, you know, we're the city that had the Walmarts that, you know, the other small towns, probably the real small towns kind of came to. So it kind of felt like a big city like to me growing up. But really like when you moved to Nashville, you realized like, oh, kind of grew up like a little bit of a redneck, which is just cool.
Starting point is 00:47:22 which I represent that. But anyways, just go back to the story. Like, I grew up with an amazing family, very close with my parents and family and being close with cousins and uncles and aunts. And my parents, brothers and sisters, is so important. And my family kind of, we caught ourselves in the middle of this storm in the last like five to ten years, I would say. and kind of culminated to my parents getting divorced a couple years ago. And I don't know. It was just like especially doing as much traveling as we were doing at the time
Starting point is 00:48:01 and kind of seeing both my parents individually, you know, go through so many like hard things. And, you know, me and my siblings were kind of like what the heck is happening to our quote unquote, like really solid parents. And the bulk of the record has a lot to do with just, just my own kind of struggles within that. And I'm really kind of wanting to, I don't know, like when you go through that as a 26-year-old, you know, that's hard.
Starting point is 00:48:33 But, you know, I was thinking a lot about, like, if you're going through that, you know, like, for instance, my wife, like, you know, never really knew her dad. And, you know, there's so many stories in the world that you hear that have just broken families. And as a 26-year-old, somewhat kind of matured dude, like, it was just, it rocked my world in a way that I, you know, wasn't almost prepared for. I think, you know, like I said, especially, like, the amount of traveling we were doing and kind of just having to, like, process all that was going on, you know, back home. And so I was just very much in the midst of my own head and, like, in a selfish way,
Starting point is 00:49:10 just because kind of, like, going through my own, like, disaster in my life, just because, you know, we had a lot going on with the band, a lot of good, really cool stuff happening. but in the midst of all of that, like I felt like I was dying inside because my family back home was falling apart, essentially. And I had this moment with both my mom and my dad, and this song particularly came up after I was kind of, like I said, in my own story, in my own head. And my mom called me when she was packing up the things in our house,
Starting point is 00:49:46 our childhood home that we lived in, and she just broke down. And I just started bawling, like bawling crying and we're just saying, I can't do this. Like it's so hard to like pack this stuff up. And I think in that moment I just felt like I felt my mom's like inner stuff that was happening with her. And I was like out of my own story and into her story. And, you know, music for me has always been a way of kind of processing and kind of helping me go through, you know, what I'm going through.
Starting point is 00:50:22 And anyway, so this song's already kind of heavy. This is kind of the first time that we've talked about it. But it kind of helped me kind of see through her lens a little bit and what she was going through. And it kind of helped me see, sorry, it helped me see my parents as humans. and I know that happens for people as you grow up and it happened to me late in life I think but this song kind of helped me get that out
Starting point is 00:50:59 and see them as people. Have they heard the song? You play it for them? They have, yeah. What do you think about that? You know, I think both of them kind of processed differently as well. They say that they really like the record.
Starting point is 00:51:18 say they really like this song. I think it kind of represents, you know, they were high school sweethearts. And yeah, I think a lot of ways, you know, they, I think, just relate to this story in my perspective, kind of, I don't know, allows them to see from where I'm coming from, too. We're going to play it right now. This is Judah in the line with Casey Musgraves. This is called Pictures here on the Bobby Bone Show. All right. So whenever they were like, hey, Judah's going to come in, and him and the boys are coming in. I was like, well, I want to play the new song.
Starting point is 00:51:51 I wanted to play the track because I think the track's wonderfully put together. But I was like, well, will they play it? Like, the jam. Because, you know, sometimes you come in with new work. You don't want to play the old stuff. Yeah. But I was like, I know his uncle.
Starting point is 00:52:04 So, right? Right, Eddie? Yeah, we know people. We know people. And so what I had requested was for you guys to come and play, take it all back. Now, I didn't know if you guys played it acoustic or not. I didn't know what that.
Starting point is 00:52:15 I knew nothing. Jude, I knew nothing. you got to do your research No I knew that you played it I didn't know if you would come and play an acoustic And you said yes We're very excited about this or no Yes we are
Starting point is 00:52:24 We are Judy in the liner here Now do you guys often play this acoustic Can I mean is this I'm not totally asking you guys Do something that's out of your wheelhouse No well we This is kind of the way we started You know we
Starting point is 00:52:35 I was playing in college baseball When we started and so We did just the three of us Kind of would go out And like we essentially We put up a thing on Facebook that would say, like, hey, we'll come to your house and play music for you if you'll invite your friends and feed us and let us sleep on your floor. Wow, really?
Starting point is 00:52:55 So our first show was like 15 shows of just us all, you know, hopping into like a van that we couldn't afford and going and like pretty much badgering strangers for food and for a floor to sleep on and to tell, you know, to tell their friends. So this is kind of like back to our roots a little bit, which is kind of cool. Come on. June in the liner here. Here they are. Let's do. Take it all back. Hey guys, so because of licensing roles, we can't play anything with music on this Iheart radio channel or podcast anymore.
Starting point is 00:53:22 But you can go to Bobbybones.com to see it. We hate that we had to take it down. It wasn't our decision. But I just wanted to keep you up and we wanted to keep up as much as possible. So go to bobbybones.com to watch or hear whatever you're missing right now. And thank you for listening to the show. And sorry about all the legal stuff. That's awesome, boys.
Starting point is 00:53:45 I had high expectations. I would tell you, I did. And you met him. Hey, yeah. Come on. I thought you were going to say it, man, I had high expectations. That was not, they were not in that. Come on, Judah and the lion are here.
Starting point is 00:53:59 Outcoming album, Pep Talks. So what's the deal? When's that, the whole thing? The whole package. We know yet? So I guess we're leaking, are we leaking it? I have my manager over there, so I'll just make sure that we can leak it. But we're on your show, so we can do whatever we want, right?
Starting point is 00:54:13 Whatever you want. We have family in the house. Yeah, May 3rd. May, we have leaked. We have a leak. We have a leak right here. I felt good to say. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:21 First time you've been able to say it? We'll give you the link to actually leak it. Oh, sweet. That'd be tight. Isn't that crazy back in the day? Everything used to get leaked like crazy, right? Yeah, I mean, looking back in the music industry back in the day, it's crazy. People would steal a CD?
Starting point is 00:54:34 Yeah. That's kind of tight, though. Like, if you leaked the link, it'd probably be good for us, you know? Now it's the opposite. The manager's like shaking the head, but I'll send you a little link. Well, listen, I'm a fan. Like, I'm a genuine fan. I think I went up to judo last.
Starting point is 00:54:51 year I was like I'm the biggest fan and he was like hey guy you're like eight and nine years older than me relax and I was like I'm took your biggest fan to do that so no seriously I'm big fan last year you won our I Heart Radio best rock band award right didn't know what you guys won something like that do you know what you want that was like the best looking man or something like that or like the coolest dudes best new rock alternative art is of 2018 at our I Heart Radio music awards yeah yeah that's what I was look at you guys well listen I'm happy you came in I appreciate you being so vulnerable and sharing your story not just through music because that's what we're
Starting point is 00:55:21 one whole avenue, then you gotta talk about it, that's another one. Like, I get it. So I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability and guys, you crushed it. Are you kidding me? Yeah, thanks so much and we're big fans of you as well. Like, we love what you represent and what you're doing more than just the, what I'll represent. What you're doing here? I feel like you represent like the good things of the world. Yeah, I like that, yeah, come on. All the stuff that you're doing for more than just music, which is, uh, oh, thanks. Which is what we try to do to. So, you were going to make fun of me. I appreciate that you did. And you're, you know, you're...
Starting point is 00:55:52 You're a douche. Yeah! Yeah! I think that too. I was going to say your dance, man. Oh, okay. Good enough. Judah and the Lion.
Starting point is 00:55:59 Follow them on Instagram at Judah, J-U-D-A-H in The Lion. New song out now as pictures with Casey Musgraves, and the record comes out in May. May the 3rd. Right before Cinco de Mayo. Two days before. It's a little easy. All right, Judah in the Lion. Thank you guys.
Starting point is 00:56:14 Good to see you guys. There they are. Judah in the Lion, everybody. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So new studies. out of Harvard found that the best sign of whether a man's heart
Starting point is 00:56:27 is healthy or not is if he can bang out 40 push-ups in a row. Is that what you call it? Banging out push-ups? 40 in a row. So every guy in here can do 40 in a row, right?
Starting point is 00:56:36 I would think that I'm probably the only one that could. No pausing. Only because I do it all the time. Like I'm probably... You bang them out? I'm probably trained, yes. I've never heard of them called banged out.
Starting point is 00:56:46 I think the guys in here are strong enough. But, I mean, if you don't do it all the time, you're not trained to do it. It's like running. I can't do it. Like, I would say that... Eddie, you can't? No, not 40.
Starting point is 00:56:53 Okay, listen, because if you can't, you're at high risk for heart attack, stroke, or heart disease. I don't believe that. Really? The lunchbox isn't a good shape, but a different shape. He runs all the time. Listen, Harvard told you. Listen, everybody bang out some push-ups. It says your ability to do push-ups is the best overall, quote, marker of general physical fitness.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Okay, well, I have a bad shoulder, too. I'm not having to shoot myself up with stuff until I get it fixed. trying to bounce back a little steroid action. You know what I mean? Are you going to have surgery? I don't know. They told me when I injured it on Dancing Weather Stars that I'd be fine to keep working.
Starting point is 00:57:30 I went to a professional sports team doctor where they really just see if you can keep playing. And that's why I went there. And they were like, you can keep going. You're not going to hurt it anymore, but you've got to get it fixed eventually. I think I'm at that point where I got to get it fixed. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:57:44 Shoulder replacement. Full shoulder. That's rough. Yeah. What else, Amy? So there's this big financial company that switched to a four-day work week back in November, and this just since then, it's been a huge success.
Starting point is 00:57:56 Their workers were 20% more productive, and there was no drop in the amount of work they were getting done. But stress was down, and work-life balance was up. You get three days off. Yeah. And so... Friday, Saturday, Sunday. They're just saying it was a success.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Obviously, this would have to be taken across the board with, like, school, work, all the things, because you can't ever have half people on a five-day work week and the other's not. Well, that's where it gets dicey with school. Schools are like, we're going to do a four-day school week. But then where do the kids go on the Friday when the parents are working? Right.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Because that costs money. Yeah. We'd just let them sit at home by themselves? Of course not. I'm just saying this company did it, and they say, huge success. I was reading a story, too, about how we shouldn't be working in the morning. Not us. Because our hours are obviously brutal so we can be ready for everybody when they start.
Starting point is 00:58:40 But they say some people's body makeup isn't good for mornings. And the 8 to 5 or 9 to 5 job isn't for everyone's body. Like, you're just not healthy. because some job should be 3 p.m. to 11. Hmm. And that some people die earlier because of that because they're living their life on their wrong schedule. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:58:59 Well, Australia is going to start letting people use emojis on their license plate. So, like, if you're, like, calling in, like, oh, we got a guy doing a nickel-knuckle down the highway. His license plate number is 3F smiley face, winky face, 7Q. That's funny. Yeah, yeah, Roger. That's that. That's funny. I know.
Starting point is 00:59:19 We got a 49-63 eggplant, eggplant. What's this face? Gridy teeth face. Gridy teeth face. Yeah, yeah. There you go. All right, is that it? Yes, that's it.
Starting point is 00:59:34 I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This guy got stuck in quicks in for 10 hours. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:59:48 And they had to rescue him. He stuck for 10 hours. Listen to this. There was no chance of moving it at all. The sand had surrounded the whole leg. And the best way to describe it would be to just standing in a huge puddle of concrete that basically just dries instantly. One guy's scraping sand away, they were able to free my leg.
Starting point is 01:00:09 It was probably one of the worst pains I've ever felt. I wouldn't go back and change anything or do anything differently. It was just a freak accident that my leg hit this hole. of sand. His leg was buried up to his knee could not free himself. His girlfriend, this is during a winter storm, had to go hiking for three hours and call for help. As it's like just crushing in a storm. Can you imagine being a quicksand you're like,
Starting point is 01:00:30 you're just like, oh, oh, I can't. So she went, they got a helicopter, helicopter comes, they had to spend the night in the park still because they couldn't get them out, because it took all those hours and they went to the hospital the next day. Found him. So bizarre to me. It's a quicksand and sinkholes like are crazy to me. I just think quicksands from like Gilligan's Island.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Yeah, like it's not real life. Yeah, the Rangers got to him. They freed him because they had to like shovel it away real quick, like scoop, scoop, scoop, scoop, scoop, scoop. And they got him out. He had hypothermia, but he's going to be fine. But how about the girlfriend? Three hour hike, found them. They flew in, got him, saved him.
Starting point is 01:01:06 And the quicksand is real. All that's crazy. Anyway, that's good news. That's what it's all about right there. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby bones. Let know.
Starting point is 01:01:17 I'm a transmitting. All right, over to Amy now with Corny. The Morning Corny! What did the Little Mermaid wear to math class? What did the Little Mermaid wear to math class? Now, we're going to investigate this one. It's Thursday. It's the investigative corny day.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Math class. Mermaid math class. So, this is where we try to figure it out. The Little Mermaid. Okay. Sebastian? Ooh, I think it's a little too inside. Okay.
Starting point is 01:01:51 What does a mermaid do you wear? Shell. What does a mermaid do there? Shell. Like, seashell? is a big thing. Like a shell. Math class? Math. Like divide.
Starting point is 01:02:00 Oh, divide. Multiply. Water. Addition. Tail. Tail. Oh. No. Tadder tails. No. Tadder tails. No. Tail. Finn. They have fins. Trying to picture the calculator right now.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Yeah. So what the question was? Decimal. What did the Little Mermaid wear to math class? Where to math class. Okay. So it has to be tail. It's going to be something to tell. What does tail have to do with math? Yeah, I don't understand what tail has to do. I didn't say English or anything.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Math class. Addition. What sign? What do you wear to math? Carry the one. Disney. A binder. Little mermaid.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Textbook. It's got to be like, you got to think of a whole new world. No, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, let's, no. Are we close at all like me? No. Oh, gosh. Gosh. Ariel.
Starting point is 01:02:54 Think of the ocean. Well, you can't give us hands. Okay, all right. Never mind. I would say she wore the Dead Sea skirt. Skrills. Unda-de-see? Underware de-see.
Starting point is 01:03:09 Yeah. We're going to have to say we don't know this one. So what's the question? Right. What did the Little Mermaid wear to math class? What did the Little Mermaid wear to math class? I would say she wore... Ooh, what about scales?
Starting point is 01:03:20 What about a bra? Like the bra? Bra? Shell bra? Conch. The square root. Got nothing. Hey, we have nothing.
Starting point is 01:03:31 We've worked it out over here, and as a team, we collectively... You just got a little bit close, but... Oh, the square root? No. Okay. Amy, what did a little mermaid word of math class? Her algebra. Oh!
Starting point is 01:03:43 Algebra! That's pretty good. That's pretty good. We are not good at that. We did not do good on that one today. There you go. That was the morning corny. It's a Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Someone in a tattoo shop recorded. This guy is screaming because it hurts. If it's on his arm, here. Okay. What are you like? Oh, my goodness. If that was your man, right? Yeah, my man.
Starting point is 01:04:32 What do you think? Huh. How tough is this guy? Yeah, I mean, I guess some people are just more sensitive, you know? And I'm... Are you watching it? Yeah. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 01:04:44 He does not look like someone that would be crying like that. Well, here's the thing about tattoos because I have a few. I have my grandmother's initials, my mom's initials. I have the state of Arkansas, and I just got the word mirror ball tattooed on the back of my arm because we won the mirror ball and dancing with the stars. And once you're in, they put that first line on you or two lines. You're committed. It doesn't feel good, but you're committed.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Is that how a relationship feels like a marriage? Yeah, pretty much. Oh, yeah. When you say, I do? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're in. Oh, no. That's like that first mark.
Starting point is 01:05:12 So it's, I mean, that's a big, you're like, oh, man, I got to sit here and take this for a while. That's Bobby when he gets married, that guy. Ah, I'm going to cry. Wait, you live with me all the time? I have to share my accounts with you. I mean, that's a straight, that's a very feminine scream. That's a scream. That'll be up at Bobby Bowens.com.
Starting point is 01:05:44 I don't even say it because we don't have the clip with that guy, the weatherman that screams at the roach. It sounds like that. Bobby boom. What did your dog eat? My family feud name tag. Oh, the big blue one. The big blue one that we got to keep.
Starting point is 01:06:00 That is really special because, you know, who gets to go on celebrity family feud? Never thought I would. And then that name tag's like, you know, it's a little, the only piece of memorabilia we got to bring home with us. So you walk into the room and it was in my luggage And I had opened my luggage And had out my closet floor
Starting point is 01:06:18 And she went in there I'm like, what is she doing in my luggage? And then I look over at my name tag Is like, chewed up What'd she say? The dog? Oh, I said, what are you doing? What do you think you're doing?
Starting point is 01:06:29 And she ran and hid behind her cage I'm like, yeah, you know. She knew she had done bad. That doggy in the window Rough, rough. The one with the wagery tail. Hey Justin, you're on the show. How are you, bud? I'm doing good.
Starting point is 01:06:46 What'd your dog eat? My dog ate my laptop. Yeah, how'd that happen? I was sitting down, editing photos. I go to get up, run, get me some food. I come back, he's laying down on my bed, chewing on the corner, then ate the casing off and crack the screen off the computer. Like a real laptop, not like a beep jerky laptop.
Starting point is 01:07:08 No, like real laptop. And so what do you do? I just sit there and start getting pissed He's just looking at him. Oh, yeah. I don't know what I'm going at all. Yeah, I get that. That's that feeling about Mike D sometimes.
Starting point is 01:07:23 It's puppy. It's like, oh, that's okay, buddy. Hey, thanks a lot, Justin. I appreciate that call. Let's go over to David in Florida. Hey, David, you're on, buddy. Hey, yes, sir. My dog ate our first sonogram picture that we had of our baby.
Starting point is 01:07:36 Oh, that's, yeah. Yeah. That's hard. It sounds like it still bothers you. Uh, yeah, our baby's a six months old now, so, but it's, uh, it's been a little while, but my wife wasn't happy, uh, at all for sure. Oh, man, thanks for sharing that with us. How much is that dog in the window?
Starting point is 01:07:58 Shmitty in North Carolina. Hey, how are you? I'm good. So what'd your dog eat? My dog ate $120 cash that actually was my dad. It wasn't even mine. Straight cash, homie. I'm sorry, what? Yeah, straight cash, ate the money. Yeah, yeah, we were fixing to go on a family trip
Starting point is 01:08:15 And so he had it like on his little sand Where he puts his keys And his driver's license and whatnot And he went and took a nap My mom and I came home Walked into the bedroom And there it was shredded on the floor Oh no
Starting point is 01:08:26 And money Yeah, I know Ah, thank you for that He won't be lonesome Rough, rough And the dogie will have Could spend a time looking at dogs online Probably every day a little bit
Starting point is 01:08:38 Yeah We'll just know what you're getting into You know, listen, my last dog, he would eat pens, and I would be like, why's your head blue? He has a white dog, and his head would be just all blue fully. And you couldn't help but laugh. He didn't know any better. Yeah. Thank you for your stories.
Starting point is 01:08:56 If you have a crazy one, you can still call us, 877-77 Bobby. Aaron, you're on. Hi. My dog ate my cake topper from my wedding a few weeks after the wedding. I mean, can you blame them? If there's cake out, listen, I would say that about me. right, eat the cake too. There's cake laying out and the dog sees it. Isn't that kind of on, is it on you, Aaron? No, it wasn't the actual. It was a to the topper. Okay.
Starting point is 01:09:23 Does it look like cake to me? Like, I'm just, I understand what the dog was going through. Yeah, that stinks. So thank you for sharing that. That's one of those sentimental things you want to hold on to forever, like your name tag. Does it have cake on it? Name tag. Does it have cake on it probably a little bit? Maybe a little bit. Yeah. You put that in front of the dog. Hey, thanks for all the calls. Amy, I'm sorry, your name tag. Can me get you another one? Can you? I shout it out to Steve Harvey on Instagram, but. He didn't really. He didn't, I haven't gotten a replacement tag. One of the most important things we do for our health every day is brushing our teeth, yet most of us don't do it properly. That's why she does this segment. So I watch this new dating series on Netflix. It's called Dating Around. And they're like 30-minute episodes.
Starting point is 01:11:03 And it's kind of a modern bachelor. So is it one person and they have like a bunch of people to choose from? No. So it's a new person each episode. And they date four people and they only choose one to go on a second date. at the end. So what do they do? Is that romantic mountaintop dates or what? No, it's just like normal dates, like the awkward phases of dating.
Starting point is 01:11:22 It was really real. And people like argued. There was one that I was like cringing. I was like, oh, this is such a bad first date. But it was so fun to watch because it was. It was so raw. Yeah. And it was normal and real. Like the bachelor's kind of staged. This is it like staged or so it seems at all.
Starting point is 01:11:38 And it's called. It's called Dating Around. You know, I watched that the Umbrella Academy. Yeah. It's the first show in a long time that I've just been, like, itching to get back into. Like, I miss it. Have you, anybody watch Umbrella Academy? No.
Starting point is 01:11:52 No. It's, uh... Now that we've talked about it, I've never seen it before, but maybe now that's brought to my attention. But now it's always in my Netflix recommends. Like, it's like my TV. What's the new show they did, yeah? Okay, I thought my TV was spying on us. But, yeah, I mean, I'll watch it eventually, especially if you say the kids can watch it.
Starting point is 01:12:08 I would think so. You should watch the first episode, but what it is, there are all these babies born at the same time? For a unrealistic reason? superhero show and this billionaire adopts them all. Yeah. But he knew they were special, right? He just guessed. Oh, well, because in the preview, the moms were pregnant for not even a day.
Starting point is 01:12:23 Yes, that's why. He was like, well, something's up here. So anyway, they turned into like a superhero team. Okay, cool. Pretty good. But again, you have to suspend belief. It's not real. Sometimes I get mad at superhero shows because they make them so real now.
Starting point is 01:12:34 Like, everything about it's real except the superhero powers. And I'm like, shut up, Iron Man, you can't fly. But then I'm like, it's Iron Man. I got to relax. Yeah. But, yeah, so Umbrella Academy's good. And then Morgan number two says dating around. Like that kind of show.
Starting point is 01:12:48 Who are the people that do the dating? There's like, there's some same-sex dating. There's also an really old man who's a widower that's a date. Oh, so it's normal folks. It's not like super good-looking people. No. Because I don't like them. And they put them up with all these different types of people.
Starting point is 01:13:02 It's all walks of life. So it's just really raw. It's so good. I'm tired of good-looking people getting all the stuff. You know, all these really abs, abs galore. I've had enough But some people Go ahead
Starting point is 01:13:16 Think that you have abs That's my spinal cord Come up with with my back Those are my ribs Yeah people are like Look at those abs I was like no So I was mentioning
Starting point is 01:13:24 By the way Morgan number two Thank you very much Yeah Like that Chris Hemsworth Is playing Hulk Hogan In the Hokkaoga movie
Starting point is 01:13:33 Wait Okay so That's the movie They're making Is Hulk Hogan Wow That's crazy I mean, I'd watch it
Starting point is 01:13:43 Yeah, me too. He's Thor? He's Thor? Yeah. So, Terry Belayas, Hulk Hogan's real name, started wrestling in the 70s. It's the whole thing about Hulk Hogan's life. I mean, actually, it's believable. Like, he could pull it off.
Starting point is 01:13:57 Like, I could see how he could look like him. So he's getting really jacked right now, I bet. I wonder what he's doing to do that. I don't know. I have to take it. And den some. My shoulder is so messed up. I have to take a needle in because I have to injecting it.
Starting point is 01:14:09 Are you injecting it to yourself? Into my stomach, yeah. You know, I know how to do that. I don't, and I'm so scared that I've started today. What is it like? Well, I'm just saying, I can help you. Basically. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:14:18 Yeah, but I don't get bigger. I was like, I have to do this. I get muscular. And they're like, no, it's just like healing. You're juicing, dude. This could be a new step in our relationship. You juice me? I know how, I can do it right to the stomach.
Starting point is 01:14:28 No way. Don't do that boat. Yeah. I used to do it. Amy's doing it like a big stab. That's how you do it. That's how you do it. That's how I had to do it's a Netflix movie.
Starting point is 01:14:35 So anyway, he's going to do it. It's a Netflix movie. Okay. But Eddie, do you see how he say movie theaters are dying? All the movies are going Netflix. The Ted Bundy movie, Netflix. The Breaking Bad movie, Netflix. Straight to.
Starting point is 01:14:46 There's a Breaking Bad movie? Yeah. What? When? Jesse Pinkman's playing is the only guy left. Get out of here. Mike Dee, can you come over and talk on this for a second? Yeah, they announced it like a week ago, right?
Starting point is 01:14:58 Yeah, because they still have like the AMC rights, but they're putting the movie out straight to Netflix. So, and he's going to come back. after. It's after. Yeah, after it's all done. So, Cranston. Oh, spoiler alert. Okay, I got you. I got you. Yeah. I got you. So it's a Breaking Bad movie with just Jesse Pinkman. Wow. What's happened since. Okay. That's awesome. I'm into that.
Starting point is 01:15:17 All right. So there's that. Everybody good? Yeah. Wow. When do these movies come out? I can't wait. Well, with Netflix, probably tomorrow. Yeah, right? It's a good thing about Netflix, too. They don't even tell you they're coming. All of a sudden, I look up on screen and there's a lunchbox documentary. And I'm like, what? A movie trilogy and they release them all at once. It's time for the good news. With Amy.
Starting point is 01:15:37 Tell me something good. So this is amazing. This mom, Susan, she was traveling from North Carolina to Oklahoma when she stopped to eat at a restaurant in Tennessee. Her son is in a wheelchair, a manual one. And as he's rolling through the restaurant, another person eating there and notice like, hey, hmm, I wonder if that kid would like an electric scooter. So goes up, wait, what? Not scooter, wheelchair. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:00 Goes up and talks to the mom and is like, hey, have you ever thought about, you know, a power chair for your son? And she's like, yeah, I mean, it's definitely something the family would like to eventually get, but we can't afford it at the moment. Come on. And he was like, well, I've got one. I want to give it to you. Come on. So, again, she's on a road trip at a random restaurant in a state. I mean, she doesn't know this guy.
Starting point is 01:16:23 She doesn't know anybody there. And then boom, she leaves the state with a brand new electric power chair. And the man who donated wishes to remain anonymous. But this mom, Susan, said that she will never forget. getting him and the impact that he has had on their family. Wow. That's crazy. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:16:39 That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's a Bobby Bones show. Danielle and Austin, how are you? Good. How are you? Real good. What's going on with you?
Starting point is 01:16:50 I just wanted to follow up on your story on your Insta story yesterday to see if you, I mean, do you check out your DMs to see who wants to be in the running for your wedding date? Well, this is what happened. Let me explain it to Amy. Because Amby doesn't watch Manza stories. since you became a mom. I'm watching it right now. I know, I know, but I'm not hating.
Starting point is 01:17:09 I'm just stating, you know what I'm saying? So I got on my story, and I have two weddings that I have to go to. One in like three weeks and one in November. And so I write on my answer story the following. I have two weddings, March 29th, November 7th. I've already PPPed plus one. There's a lot of pressure, because now you have to bring someone or they're like, why'd you RSPed?
Starting point is 01:17:26 It's can cost us money. And I'm like, I said, anybody want to go? DM me. Okay. All right, I split in your DM. You did? What's your name? Danielle N underscore Vyessa.
Starting point is 01:17:38 All right, we're all looking it up. I know, it's a little long, but... I can't even spell that. Could you put more names and underscores? Maybe an emoji or two in there? Sorry, sorry. Danielle. What else?
Starting point is 01:17:51 N. N, go ahead. underscore C-A-E-Z-A. What did it see? V-A-E-Z. B-A-E-Z. Okay, I don't see it right now, but I'm going to check it out when we're done here. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:04 And I even understand. private it because I know you guys like to creep and so fair game it's not creeping here's what happens amy people will message me and they'll be like hey bobby what's up and i'll be like well let me go look at your page because if you're messaging me i want to go see what it's all about and that they're private i can't even go look creeping is wrong word i'm sorry i'm sorry all right i'm going to check you out though okay but no i haven't i haven't gotten anybody okay well good luck thank you very much that November one you plus one you plus one you plus one I mean, it is some time to November, but I mean, yeah, that's quite the commitment.
Starting point is 01:18:40 Thank you very much. I'm committed. Proud of you. Thank you very much. I'll have an update tomorrow on the flight attendant. You know, I said that she would. She'd be good to take because she could fly there for free. I know, right?
Starting point is 01:18:49 Yeah. Good idea. You knew to the show. I was on a flight going out to do American Idol last week. And the flight attendant, I thought was flirting with me. Who knows if she really was. And I gave her a napkin, have my Instagram. Listeners went to her.
Starting point is 01:19:02 We found her. She doesn't know the show. now she does a little bit, but she was like, hey, I'm going to try to come and have a layover in Nashville next week on Tuesday for like six hours. And so I was like, cool. And I'm playing the opera that night. And I was like, well, I should just take her to the opera, right?
Starting point is 01:19:17 If she's here and I'm playing the opera. And then listen to give me a hard time about it. Well, because you also need to like take her to dinner. I have to play the opera. I know you do. And she's going to be here. Why would I not, I'm not going to cancel the opera? It's the grand old operas.
Starting point is 01:19:29 So it's the only day she can come? Yes, Tuesday night. Okay. Well, do you need to have another. Why are so many haters? You need to have another plan. I get that you have to work, but what else? It's fun.
Starting point is 01:19:38 I'm going to go do stand-up comedy at the grand old opera. And then we'll go eat dinner or something. Perfect. If it's even happening. I'll know tonight. I'll tell you tomorrow. Perfect. But what a story that would be, huh?
Starting point is 01:19:47 It's pretty baller. Yeah. No, not baller. Like, oh, oh. You know. I wonder if that's like what, you know. Oh, Tom Hanks? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:54 Like when he was dating Rita Wilson. Yeah. When you come to set on the set with me and shooting for his gum right now. That does it. Like, I'm not cool. That's a cool thing, right? Like people were like, why would you do that? I'm like, well, because I don't,
Starting point is 01:20:04 because you, your guy right here wants to look cool. I don't ever look cool. Got it. All right. Can you guys, like, give me a, just that? Like, we're giving it to you. I'm not a cool guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:15 But if I can do something and say, and the girls like, ooh, like these musicians that come in here, they're like, let me get a guitar. I'll play a song. And girls like, ah. Or these guys' muscles are like, let me do a curl. And girls are like, oh. I had nothing.
Starting point is 01:20:25 So you're like, come to the opera and watch me be mediocre doing stand-up comedy. I should be like, yeah. So anyway, they'll be there. Tomorrow, the new Raging Idiots song comes out. Play this for her. Emoji Love. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:40 We got that emoji. Actually, like midnight tonight, it goes up on all the services. IHot Radio, Spotify, Apple, so there you go. We got that. We're playing Boston on March 17th if you want to come. Raging Idiots.com and on IHard Country Festival. Love. Whoa.
Starting point is 01:21:07 I did post it on my answer story, Mr. Bobby Bones. So, yeah, there's that. I love that. I'm on that answer story all that time. Like, I love that. That's my new way of, like, talking to folks. To communicate. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Wish you watch my more. I watch yours all time. Okay, sorry. I do watch yours. I just hadn't caught up. It's up for 24 hours, you know. Like it's a Netflix show. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:21:29 I just haven't caught up. You good? Yeah. I'm still, I'm, I just got to the wedding part. I was at the shoes. Oh, yeah, yeah. The shoes part. What was that about?
Starting point is 01:21:39 Because I was watching it all. silent because we're on air. I check my direct messages a lot. And some guy was like, hey, I love your shoe collection. One day I want to get a pair of those shoes like that. And so I got his address and I put the shoes on there. I sent them a pair of my shoes. Not my shoes.
Starting point is 01:21:52 I bought them an exact pair that I have of Jordans. And I wrote them a note and mailed them to them. That's awesome. Yeah, right? Yeah. Baller. I'm going to start sending you things I like about that you got. I really love your TV.
Starting point is 01:22:07 One day I'm going to have a house like that. Relax. Wait. What? Oh, what does this mean? If you want to make everyone happy, don't be a leader, sell ice cream. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:20 That makes sense? Is that a lyric? No, it's a thing. It's a thing. It's saying it's on my answer to say, if you don't make everybody happy, leaders don't be everybody happy. Leaders don't make everybody happy. And it's like, you don't make everybody happy.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Sell ice cream. That makes everybody happy. Your book is coming out on paperback. March 5th. Thank you. I'm just catching out of your lives. What up? All the episodes right now.
Starting point is 01:22:38 All right. Mr. Bobby Bones I just got a text saying me taking someone of the Grand Ole Opry reminds him of a Star is Born. Oh. Does he do that? I haven't seen it. Yes, he's a star is going to do that.
Starting point is 01:22:59 No, no, no, I haven't yet. I haven't either. So you have to explain. Oh, Bradley Cooper's like, hey, Lady Gaga. And he talks to her like that. He goes, hey, Lady Gaga. He flies her out to a show. And she ends up watching, but then she comes on.
Starting point is 01:23:11 Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah. So is she going to come on to? No. Oh. I don't even know she's coming. I don't know tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:23:17 But, you guys, you guys, I don't know, the stars born yet? Not yet, calm down. Aren't the Oscars this weekend? Yes. Sunday night? Yeah. I'll watch it before then.
Starting point is 01:23:26 Will you have time? Hey, let me ask you a question. Do you think my husband will like it? Yeah, it's long. I do think you like it. You know what I watched? Crazy Rich Asians? Yes, that's so good.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Did you like it? I watched it on an airplane, so that's sometimes hard because you're trapped and you have nowhere else to go and you think something's more awesome than it is. But I laughed. I thought it was good. I felt other emotions too. It was cute. It was long.
Starting point is 01:23:47 Those rom-coms don't need to be two hours. Well, I was on a plane. Hour and 36 minutes max on a rom-com. But I thought it was pretty good just a little bit long. You'll like a star is born. Your husband won't like a star is born. Okay. Don't put high expectations, though, because it's kind of over...
Starting point is 01:24:00 Too late. Everyone's already talked all about. It's so amazing. Turn it off? Okay. Don't even watch it. Yeah, that's Sunday. Oscars should be good.
Starting point is 01:24:09 Yeah? I was going to ask you about your kids. Can I go to dance class with your son or not? Oh, yes, I need to confirm that. I don't think there would be an issue. The only thing is, is they have a age limit. Well, if it's like 19 kids and then me,
Starting point is 01:24:23 can we not get a private lesson? Oh, yeah, we could arrange that, I'm sure. The guy that teaches it looks so cool. I don't really know him. Has he ever worked with a dance champion, though, like me? No, I don't think he has. Did you see me dancing on my Instagram yesterday? But my daughter's ballet teacher, she showed up,
Starting point is 01:24:39 and there's already a new teacher because the first one went on to pursue some crazy, got some opportunity to pursue some crazy dance dream. And so I was like, Maybe I'm dancing with stars. Like, it made me think of you, but I don't know. So, I mean, there's some talented people. If we can set up, I'll go.
Starting point is 01:24:56 I'll pay for the lesson. Okay. But I would go with Stevenson and do a hip-hop class, him and I. Okay. Would he want to do that, or he getting annoyed? No, he would like that. Are you kidding? Does he have a crush on a girl in the dance class?
Starting point is 01:25:07 Is that what you guys are talking about? Yeah. Well, I didn't know it until last night. So Monday night, he had hip-hop. And I saw him trying to be by this girl, but I didn't really know. And then last night, my husband's leaving to go pick Stashear up from ballet. class, same dance studio. And Stevenson's like, I want to come. And we're like, why would you come? It's like, two blocks from the house. Like, just stay here. Like hang out. He's like, no, no, no, I want to go. I want to go. And come to find out. He wanted to go. Because the girl takes the ballet class too. And he wanted to see her. So he got there. My husband took him. And they waited for the class to dismiss. And the girl came out. And the girl came out. And the
Starting point is 01:25:40 Stevenson was like, there she is. There she is. And so my husband's like, well, go say hi. Go say hi. That's why you came here was to say hi to her. And so he went up to her and he tapped her and he was like, hi, I'm Stevenson. Do you remember me? Like from dance class the other night. And apparently she was just like, hi. And then she walked away to her. And so we got to work on Stevenson's game. But he went up to her. He's straight up. He's 10, right? No, he's eight. He's eight. Got time, Amy. I know. Stevenson is me. Is that what you would be, hi, I'm Bobby. Do you remember me? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:13 Awkward. Awkward. Oh, it was awkward. And that's not even, I don't even think he said, I'm Stevenson. I think Ben said, my husband said it, more like, hi, Stevenson, remember me? So, I don't know. But I thought it was cute that he, he, like, already knows this girl's dance schedule. He's soon as starting to start just showing up there when she gets out of class.
Starting point is 01:26:33 What up? Stevenson, me. Stevenson, me. Remember? Hip hop. Good. So, yeah. This D-D studio could be one of the best things that's ever happened to us.
Starting point is 01:26:42 Is that expensive? Right now we're paying by the month. I think if you buy, there's different packages that will make it less, but I didn't want to invest that far out because I didn't know if they would like it. So by the month, once I did the math per class, it wasn't that bad. Because honestly, I don't know what extra-curricular activities cost. It's definitely cheaper than, like, if they were to play some crazy sports. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:03 Like outside of school, like a club thing. And they like dance, huh? They do. Yeah, good, good, good. All right, what is a dating pre-up? So, it's a relationship contract. So this one couple, they saw other people online doing it. It's about money?
Starting point is 01:27:19 No, it's more about rules and pet peeves and how to handle things. I love rules. We're talking now. Give me something. Like, some of this dating pre-up includes who pays for Ubers to each other's places. Okay. No talk of marriage or kids in the first six months. So you can adjust that, right?
Starting point is 01:27:34 All this is adjustable. Adjustable. Like this says don't ever hang up on me. Okay. Whoever cooks, the other person cleans. The guy will kill spiders. When traveling, they must FaceTime every couple of days. My personal favorite.
Starting point is 01:27:49 At least once a week, they must give each other massages. You ever dated anybody that gives a bad massage? Because I have. It should be like, let me give you a backer out. And I was like, come on. Because we're just suffering through it more than like. Oh, yeah. And you don't want to be like you're not good at massages.
Starting point is 01:28:05 And eventually I had to be like, that and I didn't want to. I didn't want to, but it stinks. That probably hurt her feeling. And I, you know what? I love a good foot rub. Yeah. One of my favorite things, a good foot rub. And it was like, well, so would that be in your dating pre-tup? Foot rub once a week. Well, I'm all for rules. You know me. I love lists. I love rules. I would do that. Yeah, you would? Yeah. Okay. Like, listen, it's basically the love languages or I took a personality test last night. I'm real, I like to arm myself with knowledge of myself, so I could just pass over a folder to someone I date and go,
Starting point is 01:28:42 this is everything about me that you need to know. Like my love language is that I give time and gifts. I'm not good with work. That's your love language that you give. What's the love language you need to receive? Do you know that? Yeah, I mean, I could take a bit of spoken. Words of affirmation.
Starting point is 01:28:58 Yeah, a bit. That's mine. Yeah, I need that a little bit because I never believe it. I'm like, it's not true. That, I need that one. Time. Touch. Most men are.
Starting point is 01:29:06 touch. Sure. No, not all the time. I said most. I said most. Just private times. You're different. You're different.
Starting point is 01:29:15 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so that's interesting. I would do a dating pre-nup. I mean, it even has in here at least once a year, take a trip without one another to prevent codependence. Oh, no problem there. Yeah, yeah. Well, would you do that?
Starting point is 01:29:32 A dating pre-nep? You and your husband could do a dating post-nup, or you agree. It's just basically, it's just. I guess it terms. Yeah. Like, this is what's important to me. Please don't forget.
Starting point is 01:29:39 I mean, I think it's good to have this conversation for sure. Would you, did you do therapy with your husband? Yes. Pre? We did pre and we've done post. Man, I think it would be good to do that even in a relationship.
Starting point is 01:29:50 I would do pre-relationship therapy. I just meet him. Let's go therapy first. See, if Delta Girl can go to. No, I'm not calling her to that. I'm not assigning. Let me tell you what happened. You know when I first started dating my husband?
Starting point is 01:30:00 You called him Air Force guy? Yeah. Yeah. But that was you were dating. Okay. You're potentially dating Delta. Delta girl. I'm potentially dating everybody, right?
Starting point is 01:30:08 Yeah, everyone's available now. You should clarify a flight attendant, not sorority girl. Delta. I don't think anyone thought. I don't know. Delta, Delta, Delta, Delta. Delta, Gamma, Gamma. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:30:21 Aaron in Texas, how are you? Hey, how's it going? Good, what's happening? Oh, good. It's on my way to work. Well, good. What can I help you with? Well, I went on a cruise last week, and I missed your big announcement on
Starting point is 01:30:36 lunchbox is surprise. His surprise was that his dream had always been to go on family feud, and we were doing Celebrity Family Feud, so we went and played on Sunday. I heard y'all talking about the Family Feud yesterday, but I was kind of confused on what happened. So we went on Sunday and played Celebrity Family Feud. That's Sunday, right? Yeah. Yeah, and it airs this summer. We don't know the date yet. They have to edit them, I guess, and stack them all up. And so his dream had always been to go on that show, and so I took him to be on that show. Oh, great. I heard that he loved his first class seat, and he was talking all about that. Yes, they also flew us out first class.
Starting point is 01:31:10 And yeah, it's crazy, huh? Seats are bigger. Oh, man, you ride in style. People look at you in a different light. They're like, man, I want to be that guy someday. And you feel the jealousy when everybody walks by you and they're going back to the common folk seats. I always feel weird sitting there.
Starting point is 01:31:25 Yeah, the lunchbox does not speak for the show. Yeah, not for me either. No, what are you talking about right when you sit at all? No, I didn't have that feeling at all. I didn't either. I was like, please. I'm sorry. I was like a pawlick.
Starting point is 01:31:33 I'm like looking down at my phone. I'm like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. They're like, can I get you a drink? See, you have a drink before these people are getting on the plane. So every time they walk by you, take a little sip. Ah, you want some drinks? Sorry, suckas? You want some drinks?
Starting point is 01:31:46 Do people walk us? Yeah, just like, look at it. I'm like, ah, just relaxing. Speaking of flying, there's a story about this pilot, and he writes, I'm bored and draws a couple weaners on the flight plan on the flight plan. Yeah. Do you see that? I just love the headline.
Starting point is 01:32:01 So the unnamed pilot started flying between 8.53 a.m. and 1157 a.m. to break in this new airplane. And so they tracked the plane, and he took the time to write, I'm bored, and then draw a couple wieners in the sky before finding his way back to the landing strip. Wow. Right? Look at this. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:32:22 He rode on the flight path. Oh, that's his flight path. Yeah. I got it. And then he drew a ding-dong. Wow. He sure did. I think that took some planning. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:30 To fly that? I think so. Yeah. What would your husband? Your husband probably hates this guy, huh? No. I know. He probably's like, respect. Like, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:32:41 Amy's husband's a pilot. Yeah. There's a company CEO called a woman Fatty McFat-Fat after this woman left a bad review on the business. Oh, my gosh. That sounds like Michael Scott. Oh, yes. Doesn't it?
Starting point is 01:32:52 That's totally something you do. Come on, be mature. He emailed me to tell me that he looked at photos of me online and he thinks that I'm chubby. You don't talk to people or comment on their body or body shame them. Saying that I needed to go to Jenny Craig and he referred to me as Fatty McFat-Fat, and I did post it on my social media,
Starting point is 01:33:09 and because of that, people in my following ended up leaving more bad reviews. What's wrong with this guy? I have no idea. I mean, I feel bad for her, but I'm just laughing at his stupidity. The president of a company called Pooch Patch, which sells tiny patches of grass
Starting point is 01:33:25 meant for dogs to use the bathroom. I used to have one when I was living in a condo because I couldn't take him always out, so we had this patch of grass. So was not pleased when this Vanessa return the product. Rather than give her a refund, he emailed her
Starting point is 01:33:37 calling her Faddy McFat-Fat. Is he A? Yeah, right? What is this good? I mean, come on. This was after she wrote a negative review about the product on Google.
Starting point is 01:33:48 The president who signed his letter is Adam and Shanks, which is the dog. So Adam is him and the dog is Shanks. He said that he looked at her photos online
Starting point is 01:33:56 and called her Fatty McFat-Fat. I mean, he really went after her. He's like, what's wrong with this guy? You need to join Jim Craig. Is this a guy he won't make a decision?
Starting point is 01:34:04 to run your company. Right. That's your, that's your leader right there. Well, there you have it, folks. What an idiot. A new episode up of Amy's podcast, Four Things with Amy Brown. And so the placebo effect is always super interesting to me because you talk to a doctor on your episode. And you talked to him about what he does. Well, yeah, sometimes what he'll do with patients just so that they have a good experience with whatever's going on with them or their medicine. What I try to do is tell patients that I have confidence in what we're treating. If I'm giving them a medication, I said, I think this is really going to work for you. So then internally, I'm getting confident about it. Right. And then so I could be causing the placebo effect.
Starting point is 01:34:46 Right. So especially with those things we talked about, mood, like depression, insomnia, pain. I feel like that with my doll. So there's Amy talked to Dr. Kevin Lewis about the placebo effect. It's really interesting. It's called Four Things with Amy Brown, her podcast. And this is, what, the sleep juice? Oh, yeah. Yeah, how you're going to placebo affect yourself?
Starting point is 01:35:06 So maybe if I just... Get a water bottle and put sleep juice. Right, sleep juice on it. And then just drink a bottle of water. Right. And then you should have better sleep. Boom. And he talks about that, how our mind actually,
Starting point is 01:35:22 a lot of times, controls our body. Yep. Well, that's it. Four Things with Amy Brown. Check out that episode. She also talks about dogs for warriors. That's a charity that we're with. Yeah, K9 for Warriors.
Starting point is 01:35:32 I gave an update on that because so many of our listeners bought that Pimp and Joy shirt, and they've been asking for an update, so I talked about that. Four Things with Amy Brown. Check it out. Fantastic podcast. Fantastic. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:35:43 Yeah. I think next year I got a chance to win the award. Oh, wow. Okay. That's the biggest leak in my house. It's been raining so hard here. I'll put it on my Instagram when I get home, but the corner of my bedroom looks like a bubble. And it's just like, I was like, please don't bust because it's going to go,
Starting point is 01:36:00 bush. So the bubble's somewhat gone away, but I don't know what to do. I called a guy and he had to go up in the rain while it was pouring. So it charges me more. And there's a crack in my chimney. Oh, that's not good. Yeah. So chim, chim chimmy. So they fix it, but there's all this water in it. And so I think yesterday on the post-show pre-show, we were talking about it because I had to clean the gutters out myself. And Amy's like, I forget that you do mainly stuff sometimes. I do. It's not that I do it anymore because... Oh, I forget that you're capable. I'm trained in it.
Starting point is 01:36:33 I forget that you have a history of being manly. Yeah. Not so much anymore. A long time ago. Like back in the day. But I had to be. And it survived as a kid. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:36:43 I had to do a lot of stuff myself. Uh-huh. So I... I know. So weird. By the way, let me say this. After we finish the show, if you miss any of the show early, go and download the show.
Starting point is 01:36:52 You can listen to it wherever you listen to your podcast. Search for Bobby Bone's show. And we do an extra show at the very beginning of the show. Like, as soon as the show ends, just hit record and it's the first part of the podcast. So there's a little up there and we got into that yesterday about how I used to be manly, but I wasn't. I was just surviving, right? And so, but I do go up and I'm like, let me check out these drains. Clean them out. Water everywhere. Flood, it's costing way too much money. And the corner of my house is ruined. They got to redo the drywall. Yeah,
Starting point is 01:37:16 no. And stuff like this pops up when you own a house is the worst. It's not the worst. Well, it's pretty bad. It's like buying a refrigerator. Yes, or new car tires. But it's not literally the worst. I know. I know there's worse things in life. Trust me. But it's just one of the things we're I'm like, man, being a responsible adult, it's not fun. The cat trapped under my house was a thing and then the leaking of the water. But they're both fixed. We're all good there. Amy has some emails from listeners.
Starting point is 01:37:41 Yep. All right, let's open the mailbag over there. Amy, what do you have? Email number one. From Erica. Hello, Amy. Bobby says he no longer cusses, yet I've heard him say pissed. So I'm curious as to what words he does not say or how he determines what a cuss word is.
Starting point is 01:37:55 When I was growing up, that was a cuss word. so I'm curious if different parts of the country have different cuss words. I grew up in Iowa. Interesting. I shouted Iowa. I'll be there tomorrow. Oh, yeah, that's right. Maybe I'll see her and I won't be pissed of a dude.
Starting point is 01:38:07 Don't say that word. Well, no, I haven't said a curse word in like three years or so. Yeah. I just decided one day it wasn't for me, meaning I used to like to cuss. But because I'm creating in all these places, if it's popping my head, these curse words. That's like I don't want to have that in my train of thought. So I just eliminated cursing. Haven't said a curse word in years.
Starting point is 01:38:24 That being said, I do say that word. I don't feel like it's a curse word. Like really anything you can't say or the FC says is bad, I don't say. Yeah. I don't even say the D word. And I'm not talking about the body word. I'm talking about the...
Starting point is 01:38:35 Like when a fish runs into a... Yes, yeah. Yes, like the water river. I don't say the D word or the S word or the F word. Right. But you do say the body part D. Those are bad. As a person, not as a body part.
Starting point is 01:38:45 Right. Right. Like Richard? Yes. No. Yes. But I don't say it as talking about a body part. I talk about it like a person's...
Starting point is 01:38:51 Like he's being a Richard. I've said that on the air. Like Simonta Richard. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. You have? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:38:57 That would have been a slap in the face for me growing up for sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's bad. That's not a curse word. See, I know, but we all have different opinions. But it's not a curse word. Okay, you're right. You're right.
Starting point is 01:39:06 I guess it just depends. I don't. But I don't want my kids. Like, if my son said that to me, I'd be like, what? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, that's not a lot. That's a middle line. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:14 If I can say it on the radio, it's almost clear for me to say in life. But I don't. Okay, what else? a sperm donor? To her or just in general? That's the email in its entirety. Would you? No, not right now because I would be weird for me to have a kid running around that I can't be a part of his life.
Starting point is 01:39:36 Yeah, that's a real thing. Like, men have that. They've donated sperm and they have babies out there. They don't even know. Yeah, so that would be tough for me. Which is women probably find attractive right now. Listen, I got a lot. Do you? They're like, oh, isn't that so sweet?
Starting point is 01:39:54 You never donate. Yeah. Yeah. So, no, not right now. I wouldn't. What else? This is from Nicole. This is just an update to other parents out there.
Starting point is 01:40:02 She said, hey, Amy, I wanted to let you know that your daughter can use the Nintendo Switch to play Fortnite as well as any other gaming systems. You can also watch YouTube, Hulu Netflix on the Nintendo Switch, which she's like, which I have dabbled in. But she has two rules when her kids play. She has to personally know the other children playing Fortnite. and the time, the screen time that they're allowed to play, is totally limited. If any of that is broken, they're not allowed to play. Does your daughter still want to play for night? Yes, she does.
Starting point is 01:40:30 So this is a thing. And somehow she knows, I guess you listened, that Uncle Bobby said he'd get her a gaming system for her birthday. Can I? Because I bought your son one. You already said it. But I know, but I bought your son one when he came to America and you took it away from him. Because it's 3D and his eyes can't handle it. Booboo's eyes.
Starting point is 01:40:48 He's a kid. No, no, y'all, it's a thing. A doctor said that the 3D is not good for the kid. The doctor, no. Video games are good for our eyes. Have I told you that Stevens and might already need to get glasses? Okay, me too. Look how I turned out.
Starting point is 01:41:02 Okay. I'm basically Amy's son. As you can see, they're big parallels. Anyway, this is a big thing. A lot of parents have told me this one that when they're playing the Fortnite, whoever they're playing against. The Fortnite. Make sure that they know you know the other kids they're playing against.
Starting point is 01:41:17 Otherwise, you end up with a bunch of cuss words and people. And they'll be like piss, piss, piss, piss. Or an old man. Or an old man. That's just not cool. Let me ask you a question. Okay. Can I buy her a gaming system?
Starting point is 01:41:28 Can I buy her a Nintendo Switch? Yes. Is that what is? I don't even know. They say the switch in here. Is that handheld or something? Yeah, it's handheld. But it also can plug in and go to the machine.
Starting point is 01:41:37 Correct. Oh, well, we don't have the machine, though. Now you want both? Oh, my goodness. No, no. No, no. No, not saying we want both. It's handheld, but you can watch it on TV or whatever.
Starting point is 01:41:45 Oh, gotcha. When's her birthday. April 25th. Okay. Mine's coming up too. So yeah. Okay, cool. Yeah, your birthday is April 2nd.
Starting point is 01:41:55 You let her listen to the show? Even though I have a potty mouth? I mean, I'm not with them. So it's whoever they're with, whether it's Arneemian or my husband. All the kids are listening at school? Hello, kids. All the kids are gathered around. Hey, guys, it's Bobby.
Starting point is 01:42:07 Listen. All right, what else am I? Okay, and this is from Caden. Hey, Amy, I am 17 years old, senior in high school in Cleveland. I also am in a wheelchair. I wanted to let Bobby know that he is my hero and inspiration. I have both books. When I go through hard times in my life,
Starting point is 01:42:22 I can listen to the podcast or read the books, and I feel better. Also, in August, I'm starting college in the radio TV production, and I definitely look up to him because I want to make a difference like he does. Also, love Pimp and Joy and everyone on the show. Oh, come on, that's nice.
Starting point is 01:42:35 Yeah. Is this address on there? Who have his address? Caden? Yeah. No, but I can reply to his email. Yeah, reply to him. I'll send him a sign book, right?
Starting point is 01:42:41 That'd be cool, huh? Yeah. There you go. Well, thank you for all the emails. Thanks for reaching out to the show. Thanks for listening. Appreciate you guys. Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private,

Starting point is 01:46:18 Open doors to the future for you and your family with the help of American Military University. That's AMU. APUS. Dot E.D.U. slash military. Let me run this by you. There's a dentist in Virginia Beach named Gary Hartman. He had his license suspended because he'd been offering people free dental care,
Starting point is 01:46:40 which is a good thing, right? Yeah. In exchange for them being drug mules. Okay. That's not good. Where was he putting the drugs? Well, I haven't got to that part yet. I'll get there.
Starting point is 01:46:50 He'd fixed, not, he probably didn't put in their butt. It's not jail. He'd like keystering. I didn't imply keystering. He'd fix their teeth and then write unnecessary prescriptions for things like Vicodin and Oxycontin. And then they'd give him the pills and he'd sell them. Wow.
Starting point is 01:47:06 So basically their mulling was getting it and bringing it to him. Wow. He illegally obtained up to 46,000 Vicodinin pills over the course of several years, as well as 20,000 muscle relaxers. 8,000 oxycontin pills and things like sleeping pills and anxiety medication. Apparently, he'd also been taking them himself because he tested positive for a lot of stuff. Another dentist down the street was also in on it. They've both been suspended.
Starting point is 01:47:28 It's not clear on what charges they're facing. It's like Dirty John, sort of. Sort of. Did it in the guy on your podcast go to school with Dirty John? Yes. Bobo. He's a nurse. Whatever anesthesiologist is like a nurse, it's a certain type of name.
Starting point is 01:47:43 And they went to the same school. Did he know him? They had the same job. No. But, I mean, they went to the same school for it. You guys talk about that? Yes. And it's crazy.
Starting point is 01:47:51 But he was supposed to administer the anesthesia drug to certain patients. And he would act like he was injecting it and then slip it in his pocket so that he could give it to himself later. Oh, Dirty John? Yeah. And the podcast, they talk about that. Wow. This is on Amy's podcast, Four Things with Amy Brown. This is Adam Bobo talking about that.
Starting point is 01:48:08 Well, you went to school with them with the same school. So here's a legit anesthesiologist, like nurse? Nursing Edison. That's how you got into IVs. That's my profession. That's your profession. Not the master manipulated part, just the CRNA part. Yes, the CRNA part.
Starting point is 01:48:22 There you go. Check that out. Yeah, because Dirty John is a master manipulator. So, Bobo, we came up with his nickname, Clean Bobo. So there's Dirty John. And Clean Bobo. And Clean Bobo. That's funny.
Starting point is 01:48:33 What are you doing today? Locking. I'm going on a walk with my friends and then just we'll hang out with the kids. Do you like peanut butter? I do. I had it in my oatmeal earlier. Well, Morgan Number 2 has a food world that we're going to do. It's about, I just am not a peanut butter person.
Starting point is 01:48:46 and I almost didn't even do the segment because I don't like peanut butter. Oh, but you're in the minority. I know, and that's why. Sometimes I have to go, you know what? Maybe it's not for me, but it's for other people. Yeah. So I don't like peanut butter.
Starting point is 01:48:56 I don't even like the words, peanut butter. What? I don't like the words. Here are the words I don't like the words. Peanut butter. I like mayonnaise. Ooh, mayonnaise. Or the word cigarette.
Starting point is 01:49:07 Those are all gross words to me. I don't like the words. Like earlier this morning when lunchbox was talking about the towels he got from the marble points. And he was like, he just said the word cigarette. And I was like, I don't like that word. That's so weird. Most people don't like the word moist.
Starting point is 01:49:20 I don't mind that word. Morgan number two, I'm coming to you now. All right. We'll do Food World with Morgan, too. But just know that I've taken one for the team here, right? It's time for Food World. Num, Num, Num, with Morgan number two. Somebody invented a peanut butter pump gadget that you can screw onto the lid of a peanut butter can
Starting point is 01:49:41 and just start pumping out peanut butter. So you no longer have to stick a spoon in there anymore. Well, that's smart. Genius. As long as it's like not too thick, I can see how that, yeah. Like the worst is one of the jars really low and you got a knife in there trying to get the very end of it. So this is cool. Yeah, and it works all the way in there.
Starting point is 01:49:59 You don't have to dig in there, get messy anymore. It's still out on one of those crowdfunding sites. So it's not totally here yet. But you can go, you know, get one before it comes out yet. The peanut butter pump. Wow. It sounds like a peanut. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:50:12 It does. It does. Butter bar. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. Morgan number two, thank you very much. There you go. The Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:50:19 I have a stand-up comedy show. Friday and Saturday night in Iowa. I'm doing two shows at a casino. And yesterday on the show, I was like, hey, I like to go work out of the Iowa Hawkeye Football Complex. Just kind of staying it. I'm going to go.
Starting point is 01:50:30 They reached out. Wow. They were like coming. Which is really cool for me. Yeah. Now I've got to act like, I know what I'm doing. I've got to put on plates and do some big lifts. You'd be like, where your medicine balls, right?
Starting point is 01:50:42 Yeah, yeah. Where's the Whirlpool? I'm going to go and just getting a whirlpool. So I thought that was pretty cool. I was shout out to those guys. I have a show tomorrow night. Then I think Saturday I'm going to go and work out in the field. Mikey's going to go.
Starting point is 01:50:55 You're going to work out? Security's going to go. We're all going to get our pump on. Yeah. That's it for today. Amy, coming over to you. Let's see. I will work out.
Starting point is 01:51:05 But not like that. I'm actually, my workout today is a walk with two friends that just had babies. So it'll probably be a leisurely one. They just got approval from the doctor to go on a walk. You're the one to go. So we're going to the park by our house and we'll take a stroll. And then just from there, normal kid stuff, grocery shopping, dinner. No dance lessons today for either of my kids.
Starting point is 01:51:27 So I kind of wish they had it every night. They come home in such great moods. They do? Do they come home a little tired and, like, do they sleep better because they've been dancing? Not really. They come home, like, excited. They feel like they're doing something and they want to teach me what they learn. Like, I love it.
Starting point is 01:51:41 I'm like, okay, right now we're once a week, but I can see us upping this. Six nights a week. Lunchbox? Oh, today's chill day. Relaxation, you know, I've got to catch up on TV shows, things I've missed, and take a nap. I got a little, uh, in me. Uh-huh. Not sure.
Starting point is 01:51:59 It's because I haven't been sleeping well. I'm trying to get back on a schedule. I've been home for like four days in a row, which is crazy. So I'm trying to get back on schedule. I wake up at 1.30 or 2 o'clock just like wide open. Boom. Can't go back to sleep. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:52:11 I fell asleep about 30 more minutes this morning. But I wonder if like, ugh. This is because of that. Probably. Do you have a humidifier in your room? No, a little thing that... Yeah, but I don't use it. Oh, because that could help.
Starting point is 01:52:23 I got it for... We put one in my son's room, and it really helped his throat. Yeah. The moisture. Well, him and I are a lot of life. Grab it at Target or Amazon. Oh, yeah? Just a cheap one.
Starting point is 01:52:33 So I have a couple meetings today. I have a podcast meetings. But I guess I was going to work out hard, but I'm thinking I'd just do like lunchbox and have a chill day. Probably. What idea? You can come on the... I rarely have chill days.
Starting point is 01:52:44 Postpartum walk. Oh, wow. Is that what it's called? Isn't that what it's called after you have a baby? It's postpartum. And then you go on a walk. Cleared by the doctor. I'm sure we're going to walk real fast.
Starting point is 01:52:57 Well, you guys have a great day. You got a couple things. Amy has a new podcast up. Four things with Amy Brown where the doctor talks about a placebo. Placebo effects. Yeah, the benefits of a placebo, which is you just think you're getting better. So you get better. Yeah, he's going to have me start drinking sleep juice.
Starting point is 01:53:14 Oh, boy. Oh, you should get some, too. It's just water, but you label it's sleep juice. Just right. And then I have a new one up, too. It's Eddie and I are in talking about major artists who hate playing their biggest hits. And some of them don't play it at all. So it's a new Bobbycast.
Starting point is 01:53:30 For example, Miley Cyrus doesn't and hates playing a party in the USA. Crazy, right? Like occasionally she hates it. She doesn't want to play it ever. That's a jam. I know. So we talk about artists who don't want to play their big hits. That's called The Bobbycast.
Starting point is 01:53:44 Have a wonderful day. We'll see on Friday. Tomorrow, Dirk Spanleyan. Studio. Just remember, the one thing we want to do, won't you be our neighbor? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. Please tip the waitress. Hey, yeah. See you next week, everybody. No, tomorrow. The Bobby Bones Show.
