We're doing this part of the podcast from the Las Vegas Speedway, which a couple things. One, we came and we're going to get to us driving the Ionic 5 in, which I had an Ionic 5 for a year and a half. And I love it to the car, but the end has a button on it, which makes it do like back to the future. So you have the 5, not the end? The end's new. I'd never even driven the end until we got out here. Okay. So the whole time I thought you had that while you're driving a little bit. We're all motion sick for different crazy reasons. That's true.

So exhilarating and this car goes extremely fast. It's like there's such a boost when you hit the gas. Yes. An immediate boost. But I must say that I get car sick in an elevator. I get carsick scrolling my phone and they were like, hey, come out and drive the, it's not really a racetrack because it's not an oval. there's like hair pins it's like the video game yeah it's a it's a driver's core uh like a obstacle course uh i'm not obstacle and jumping stuff well yeah you're right yeah it's come there like but it is like a driver's

course it's like when you do like when you do those driving tests to pass the lens except with the gas fully uh pressed so we get in the car and they have cameras in it and again i had an ionic five but i'd never drive an ionic five in and so there's a beep we had to the the the noise we nail the gas and they There's a timer on the track. At first, we ran one at like half speed, and I'm driving. Eddie's in the front seat and lunchbox is in the back. Now, lunchbox is that he doesn't really get car sick. So that's where you put somebody that doesn't get car sick,

because that's the worst place to be. Yes. So we do the first one at like 60% just to see what the course was like. How did you feel after the first one in the back seat? I was like, this is so much fun. Oh, this is cool. No, I thought we were having the time of our lives. Got it.

second one probably did about 75 to 80%. Yeah. And they gave us our time that, because I think the record raw time was 49.2. The second turn was you were, started to slide a little bit. No, no, no, I'm talking about the second run. That's what I mean.

The second run, you started to slide. Well, they changed the setting. They did more sporty or something. Sports mode is what they called it. Yeah. It felt like I was drifting. Yeah. So, and then we hit it like,

the first movie time was like 52 so we're like all right we're going to go I'm gonna go as hard as they can on three now were you motion sick in the back seat after the second Ryan much out of the second one I was sick I was sweating it's the worst nause is the worst

and I was like man I've never got car sick and then I'm like oh maybe I'm tough I can do this and then we did third one it's it's electric too so you have to understand that the difference in like a car that's fuel injected that takes a second for it to happen this is electric so as soon as you hit it instant it sucks too

the wind out of you. Oh, yeah, your head, your, your body gets pushed back against the seat. Like, boom. It's like, whoa. It feels like a roller coaster. Went as hard as I could on the third one. And the record time, raw time was 492. It hit 495. So I didn't have the, oh, but I went as hard as I possibly could. And I heard lunchbox his energy near that second half start to fall. You mean he wasn't screaming anymore? I felt like he was mostly trying to save himself. He wasn't yelling. Yeah, he didn't want stuff to come out. And when we put one, like I felt that when he got out of the car, because that's how I feel every time I ride passenger or backseat at all. But then you looked and felt pretty terrible.

Yeah, I felt like I was opaque, I guess is what they call it. That's a big word. Yeah, that's what someone said when I got out of the car. That you look opaque? Yeah, like I look like, you can't see through you a little bit. That kind of looked like a ghost. They're like, you okay? I was like, yeah.

They're like, maybe you should get some sugar and you like go get some orange juice or something. And I just felt terrible. My stomach hurt, my head. I had the sweats coming down from the top of my scalp and on the back of my neck. And I still feel it. Like, I still feel like, I mean, I feel it from driving. So again, we're driving a race course.

This is not if you're regularly driving the car. We're driving a race course with big, like, hairpin turns. So I also am having a rough moment right now. And I was the driver. Because that's how much that thing sucks it out of you. I was impressed on how well you drove. Like, I don't think I would have taken those turns as fast as you did. I didn't think he could be that aggressive because he drives like a grandma usually.

Yes, dude. You always go under the speed limit. Yeah, yeah. There were no cops. I knew there were no cops trying to any corner. Dude, you punched it. So there's quite the boost in this car. Again, it's electric.

What's cool now, and again, if you're watching this, what's cool is. So we have lights like we do in the home studio where big, they look like umbrellas, and they light the set that we're on. And what's cool is they're actually being powered by the car because that's reverse charging too. Are you serious? Back in the day, when we went camping, you would have to take like a little old generator, anything. So what the deal is with this is that you can actually charge things by the car.

That is crazy. It's the coolest thing ever. Wow. That's amazing. Like, you're right. Like, go camping. We always used to stress out my doubt about this big generator. It was like gas power.

The whole campsite would hear it. It was so annoying. That's amazing that you can do that with this car. And I think of camping because that's what we would always need power for. But the lights here now are powered by the car. So you can charge it. And I'll just use my, because I had an ionic five. I have a Santa Fe now, but I've had a 95 for a year and a half.

My personal experience was I could charge it and then drive it for a week. Everybody's different. The driving to work obviously is different. So it's awesome. That's what we're doing at here today. Just Vegas in general, though. What's wrong? I'm so dry.

Oh, everything's dry. You lips dry? Oh, my lips are dry. I actually had to take my wife's chapstick. I have chapstick in my pocket for the first time. And I'm like, maybe the second time in my life. And I said, I'm going to lose it. You know that.

She goes, it's okay. I'll get more. Yeah, you can always buy more. That you've never used it. You really don't know how valuable or not valuable it is. Right. So you're like, I'll treat it with care. I'll try to take care of it because I never have chapsic in my pocket. But my lips have been so dry. Wait, did she come with you?

Yeah. Okay. I thought you'd say that to her when you left the house. No, no, no. That's here. I'll fly to Vegas with it and bring it all the way back home. You know that lunchbox always gets a humidifier while he's here? No. Because he dries out. Yeah, I go to Walmart and I go get a humidifier from my room because they used to give them to you at the front desk.

But ever since COVID, they don't give him to you anymore. Well, that makes sense. A lot of germs. They used to give us steamers. They don't give us steamers anymore. What was a steamer? For clothes. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

It was a massive one. Right, so I got headaches. Yeah. Just from, like, shout out to everybody who lives out here. You're used to it. Do you guys still smell burnt rubber? Oh, yeah. Like, I think it's permanently in my nostrils.

From all the sliding. That was so cool, though. So you did the drift. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Which I think of the old Tokyo Drift or just like, I don't know, Why I wouldn't even know drifting. Fast and furious. I guess like street racing.

Too fast, too furious. We'd race for pinks. You would? No, I just saw on TV. I was like, you didn't do that.

So you got in the car, there's no chance I could have done it because I would have vomited everyone. No, no chance. So you rode with a professional driver. I did. I did. I mean, honestly,

if you forget you're the professional driver, you think that you're going to die. You think that you're going to spin out of control. You're going to flip the car 5,000 times. But he was awesome. That guy, the driver I was with, he's raced with, who were the Bush.

Kyle and George Kurt Kurt Bush George W. Kyle and Kurt Bush is no not those guys he said he was like a legit racer and he knew what he was doing which is awesome which it's amazing that like a car can be designed to go that fast turn that quickly and not roll over like it's designed to to slide one of the questions I asked before we was just thinking of flip if I cut too hard they were like no cut it legit question yeah and that's what the driver says like no man Did you make you feel sick? Yes. So when you were driving, I was like, dude, car racing is awesome. Like, this is what's all about. When he was driving, I'm like, get me out of here. Did you feel safe, though? 100%.

When I was flying with the Blue Angels, I don't even like to fly. Like, I don't like to, we flew southwest out here. I don't know the pilot. You're not in control? I understand they're a professional, but I'm not in control. Yeah. I don't like it. I don't like to fly.

It's just a whole, that heavy metal in the air. and I don't know the physics of it. So flying not my thing, but they were like, hey, they called from the Navy, I believe. That's who flies Blue Angels? Yes, you can just make a fact check that. And they were like, hey, we'd like to invite you to fly with the Blue Angels. I did not want to do it. But I felt like I would have been angry had I not done it because they only offer that to a few people.

And you were in the back? It's only two spots. So pilots on the front, you're in the back. Hole for the pilot, hole for the person in the back. Did you have a job while you were on there at all? Yes. Did you have a steering wheel? It's one of those fake ones.

Like a boat. You know, sometimes you get on the cruise ship and there's that big, the horn doesn't even work. So I had a little thing, but it didn't do crap. But you had buttons where you can make calls, right? Like bogey on the right. I could, no, no. I did have missiles, though.

I can make calls. It is Navy. Awesome. Thank you. So I remember going in, I knew I was going to get sick. But I wasn't scared, even though you go from just flying to go straight up. when you're doing barrel rolls and those things. I was never scared because I was with an expert.

And I thought I probably would have more of a chance dying on a Ferris will with some Carney running it. Some guy just pushing a button down there. Then somebody who's trained, who does this every day. They feel like an interest for me too. So that's how you felt with a driver? Oh, yeah, I felt safe. But comparing the two, though, like, I know you were driving,

but when we first started on the first... Who handled the turns better? Bobby or the other guy. Well, I'd say Bobby did because we didn't slide as much. This guy is almost like he was doing it on purpose. He was trying to make you slide. He was trying to make me slide. So I'd say Bobby was the better Turner than he was.

But I was, I'm sure he could. Well, I'm sure if he was not trying to slide, he wouldn't have done that. But comparing the two, though, bones, like, so when we took off when you were driving. Same car, by the way. Same car, yeah. But when you were driving in the first course and you punched it immediately, like, we were lunch, you know, I mean, our stomachs just went straight to our spines. Yeah. On the Blue Angels, like, is that the same feeling? Or are we stupid? No, you're not stupid because I wouldn't have known either. I didn't agree with you. I wouldn't have

known either. So this is what they tell you when you, because you do a very brief introductory, just they're just trying to tell you so you don't feel like you're dying and you don't black out. Like their goal is to make sure that you know how to keep yourself from blacking out. Because the difference is, because we're also, I think there's an Air Force base right next to us. And there are lots of jets flying over. Here in Vegas? Oh, yeah. Yes. So there are fighter jets that fly faster than the Blue Angels. This is from what I've been told. But they wear G6, G6. They wear whatever those suits are. G-force. G-for suit. Does G-s, whatever they're... G-unit. Okay. In the Blue Angels, from what I've learned, they take pride and they just wear their clothes. Oh. But that's, is that smart?

Well, that's what they do. And so all of the G-4s do your experience. Yes. A little stubborn. They're a little stubborn. They're all the force that you experience, you have to physically fight to make sure you don't black out. So what they do is they teach you when you get into the plane, you put your feet down and there's a little bit of a ramp up

and you have to push as hard as you possibly can when they hit the G force. Like you're pushing down on the ramp? As hard as you can. Like you're doing a squat. Like you have to sit, wait on your back, you're doing a squat. Because your blood, it pulls so hard,

your blood comes out of your head and goes in and you pass out. So every time that they hit. We're going to do three, I wish I knew the term. Geez. Three marks. Jeez. I think she's. Yeah. We're going to do three G's. I don't remember what we went up to, but we went up to the max, and I only blacked out one time. You could see it. You can sit in the video. You see in my head go completely limp, and I came right back. Whoa.

But what was crazy was the first couple times, I'd push on my feet as hard as I could. But my eyes would be open and it would still get black in my eyes. And I remember my eyes being wide open. And it was black. That's crazy. There was no blood in my head. Then you just realized you weren't pushing as hard as you should have pushed. Lunchbox is that what you were feeling? Well, that's why don't you teach me that in the car? I would have been pushing down. I didn't know that was going to happen.

And I felt like a blue angel. I had to put my ego aside and not do the drifting because I was like, I'm going to vomit. After, because we did the car thing and then Eddie did the drifting. If we would have done the drifting first, I'd have jumped in there. Yeah. I couldn't have done it. I thought I would have puked all over the car. I thought for a second he was going to do the drifting, but he just slowly walked away.

I respect him slowly walking away. He tried. You thought about it. I thought about it. because Hyundai has been like a great partner and I've had a Hyundai for three years now. And I was like, I'll go do it if it's important to you guys. But I'm going to, it's not going to end well. Maybe for both of us, but for sure me.

I was like, if you want the content, I'll go do it. And they were like, no, no, no, you're good. So yeah, good for you for sucking it up and going to do it. It was awesome, man. I mean, it's a once in a lifetime deal. So fast. At one point, we're going 120 miles per hour. What?

120 miles per hour. I don't think I've ever done that in my life. I wouldn't seven on the little ottoman in front of him. I was, hi, dad. And just when I said that, my mom comes out of the kitchen, and she says, I have some cookies and milk. This is this badass convict.

Right. Just finished five years. I'm going to have cookies and milk at my mom. Yeah. And it's electric. Did you go new kids on the block last night? I did. I got there and they had just wrapped up and they were taking pictures on stage. So we went before we came to Las Vegas, we flew to Los Angeles because I did a Keith Urban album premiere, which Keith Urban's here at IHeartRadio Music Festival as well. And so I did the thing with Keith. And the whole time Eddie would, like three times pulled up his phone. I was like, you guys want to go to new kids on the block?

No, no. It was on my itinerary. So I get an email from the company. And they're playing the festival. He goes, no, no, do you want to go like a private show? And I'm like, how do you have access to a private show? And apparently it was like a I heart party. Yeah, was it on your itinerary?

It said, if you want to come and you told me you weren't going, so I wasn't going to go. Well, and then you went without me? I ended up going. Hold on. So you tried to make me look mad. But did you see new kids? They were on stage taking pictures. As soon as I walked.

No, as soon as I walked up, it was like, thank you guys. Thank you for coming. We love you. Are they British now? Is that what they sound like? No, you sound like. They were like, thank you, good night, thank you. Do you know their names?

Donnie. I saw Donnie, because I know him. He looks just like Marky Mark. Right. Donnie's Walberg, right? Yeah, brothers. Yeah, so I saw Donnie immediately. And then Jordan Knight.

Kind of the lead, like heartthrobbed. Very unique face. The little guy, Jonathan? No. Jonathan is Jordan's brother. Okay. Who's the little one? Joey.

Joe, Joey. McIntyre. Yeah, he was the baby when they were like really big, right? One more. Yeah, yeah, he was very young. And then there's Tommy. Uh-uh. Timmy.

Uh-uh. Jack. Timmy and Tommy are kind of close. Oh, really? Sort of, not with the first letter. Oh, it's not with the first letter. Oh, E. Joey.

Or are you thinking 98 degrees? Because he kind of looks like AJ. Like where he's that Jack now. Older though. Older. Yeah. But that's crazy. They're the OG boy band.

Right? That was, oh, well, I mean, Jackson 5. Boys to men, but I guess they were probably were. Yeah, I don't know who was first. But, man, when I was growing up, the girls loved a new kids on the block. And lunchbox's brother. My brother loved new kids on the block. And my sister loved it.

They played that cassette tape. over and over and over in the car. So annoying. Did you ever text you saying, stop saying I love new kids on the block? Every once in a while you're like, why do you got to say that? I didn't like them.

I'm like, that's what every dude said. Every dude would be like, I just kind of like their music, but I don't like them. That's kind of the thing. They had good music. In second grade.

Hyundai is at the House of Music in front of T-Mobile arena, so we're doing that. You know, this Ionic 5-N, it's crazy. Are we going to be able to drive one around all weekend?

Why would you need to drive anywhere? I mean, I just, I feel like we need to, But listen, if we need to get some more quick, this is how we do it. I think you know you just put that boost on. Hey, but that blue color? I don't know what color is blue color.

What's the blue color? We find it what's called? Performance blue. Yeah. Man, that was nice. It's kind of a matte, baby blueish type. And that's what it's literally what they sell. I mean, it's like a special color for this. So.

Those wheels are fancy. Those rims? Like, you know how you always wanted rims as a kid? Yes. Well, I didn't, but I know what you're saying. Yeah, but you didn't want. You don't want to. You don't want a hubcap every three months.

I always wanted. I'm gonna will. Come on. Who didn't want rims? I had like friends and like cousins that like loved rims. I would have to, I would lose a hubcap, get home and go and have to retract my steps, meaning where I drove and try to find a hubcap on the side of the road that was mine. And three out of five times I'd find it somewhere on the side of the road. So you're a hubcap guy? Yeah, I mean I just, you understand like in South Texas, in South Texas rims were a big deal. They had the spinners. Yeah. I never had rims. People would spend their whole paycheck. On those rims, I'm crazy.

It's more than a paycheck. It's more than one paycheck. Okay, maybe the whole month. Yeah, you have to say that. Rims are thousands of dollars. Gosh, it's crazy. Back in the day. I do like, though, how you can see the brake pads and all that.

I don't know. They told me to get orange juice, so I drink orange juice. And my wife's not here? I don't know what to do with myself. That's tough. What are you doing the rest of the day? Yeah, we do. Yeah.

Oh, yeah, we have to have to like five. We have to. Yeah, I'm probably going to take a nap out of this because I'm not feeling great. Take a shower to a nap. I don't know what you do, how to get rid of it. From the expert, take a shower and take a nap. Are you doing interviews tonight? Yeah.

Interview a bunch of stars. Why is that? Yeah. The stars. Lunch, dude, the best is when lunchbox does backstage. I have swing by. My first thing is a swing by at 515. Then another swing by with a client at 530.

Oh. Then. They call it swing bys? Literally. Swing on by. Does that mean I just go by and set what up and then leave? Bones is good at that. Which part?

Getting there or leave. Or the swing apart. Getting in, swing in, bye. Then I do a presenter rehearsal. Do you guys do any onstage stuff? No. Am I'm not, you kidding me? No, they don't let us do that.

They don't have that confidence. Hey, we weren't even supposed to do. Stop by basketball competition with Eddie. That's what we're doing. We're going to the bounce. What's that? The bounce fabric softener, we're going to be there. And we're going to just do some stuff at the House of Music.

Then Hyundai Activation House of Music. Then Thomas Red, Activation House of Music. Then I have an interview with Thomas Red at like, 745, then walk the red carpet at 815, then I'm on stage at 915, which is 1115 home time. Do you always do that? You always keep track of home time? I have to. That's tough.

Then tomorrow, I have a stage hit with Joe Gatto. Gotto? Hold on. Sounds familiar. Practical Jokers? Oh, yeah. Tonight I'm doing with the listener, right? Yeah, that's the listener that won the audible contest?

So the listener gets to get on stage with you and announce that? And do that. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. That's pretty awesome. But they don't let us do it. Tomorrow I got a couple

swing bys too. Yeah. You do it country? Where? Oh, yeah, we do. We do one at country. Yeah. Yeah.
