The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show.
We're talking about the million-dollar show, which I think we announced next week.
I think it gets announced next week.
But every year, Eddie and I, our band The Raging Idiots plays at the Rhyman in Nashville,
and we have a bunch of stars come by and jump in with us.
And so this year, as we're choosing our people,
just about everybody's coming down the show over the last four years.
And so we had one target that hasn't ever done the show.
And they said yes.
We're pretty pumped.
I was a day.
Oh, I know.
It's a big hint.
Yeah, it's a big hint.
But it could be anyone.
So we're pumped because they will play with them.
And so, yeah.
It's really exciting.
It's really exciting for us.
We'd do that.
I think we announced it on Monday next week, probably.
But the show is January 13th.
So we'll go and give you the heads upification.
you're going to try to come to Nashville for the show. It's really the one thing I would
say if you can afford to come to town. Do it if you can get tickets to that show.
Because it's the craziest show. It's just big stars drop by the whole time to play.
Yeah, it kind of describe how the show works. It's kind of, it's nuts how it works.
We go on and we play a couple songs and then all the sudden, you're like, oh, look who's in the past.
Oh, look who's here. It looks like it's Lady Annabelle. And they walk on. They do a couple
song, oh, look who's here. Luke comes on to the song. Oh, look who's here.
Oh, look who's here. Oh, look who's here. Garth Brooks.
It's happened. Yeah, Chris Ableton's one year.
You're Carrie Underwood.
So we've had it all.
But this one is one that we're super excited about.
But that's happening.
We just finished Wednesday show.
So if you're hearing this, you're listening to the podcast, obviously.
We just finished the show.
We'll get into the real show coming up in a second.
A couple things I want to talk about.
The coldest Thanksgiving in decades.
100 million Americans on alert as the bomb cyclone.
I can't talk for some reason.
Cyclone?
Bomb cyclone, yes.
I'm telling you, I've been flying around.
I'm off time zones.
I'm off today.
Yeah, yeah.
I had a pretty good performance from me,
considering how off I feel.
I get myself a solid B plus today
considering I'm feeling C minus.
But yeah, it's catching me.
I'm going to get to this back to the story.
Do you see the Ginger Z story
when someone goes up to her and goes,
hey, how far along pregnant are you?
She's like, not.
Who is this?
Ginger Z.
She does, Good Morning America, the weather.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
The whole story was she was like, I'm not pregnant.
I've been on airplanes for two days.
I've got two kids.
Yikes.
And she just kind of posted it out there.
But it reminded me of,
I've been on an airplane, too.
Leave me alone.
What?
What?
Nothing.
I just, I don't, I don't understand how people ask people if they're pregnant.
Right, they should just avoid that question in general.
Just wait until it's been announced or like they're.
Yes, I would say just as a general rule, don't ask.
Right.
But sometimes you're being kind to and you want to have something to talk about with somebody.
And you're like, hey, anything about what's happening.
And right, as a general rule, don't ask about somebody to be pregnant.
But I just, I'm not going to get angry at somebody if they made a, a mistake.
steak and going assuming because it doesn't mean they were being a douche they could have really
thought it sometimes you got to think a little more you can think yourself in trouble sometimes
yeah but just don't ask about that unless i see a head coming out and now again about baby
you probably never going to see that either unless they're feet are up and stirrups i'm like hey
and whatever that baby um oh yeah do you read the tweet yeah she was yeah she was wearing this dress
that i guess some people decided to think like you know made her look pregnant so they asked her
and it says here's two
like she's recovering from
she's recovering
anorexic
oh that may have been a big reason
to it triggered her
yeah and so wow
she is fantastically nice though
I've got to spend some time with her
so yeah it was great
brace for the coldest Thanksgiving
in decades
so they're like heads up
100 million people are under weather warnings
in 26 states
from California to New York
let me say this because this is
weather is changing
and when people go
oh look at that
it's so cold. What about global warming?
Global warming does not mean warming.
It means the earth is getting warmer,
therefore the polar extremes are getting worse.
It's getting colder and it's getting hotter.
When I hear someone go,
yo, look at this, this is global warming, my A.
It's so cold, how warm is it?
You don't even know what global warming is.
Look it up.
Global warming is, the earth is getting warmer,
so the extremes are more,
and that's happening.
For sure, that's happening.
Yeah.
But yeah, I saw that.
It's going to be super cold, apparently.
The Mandalorian is that show on Disney Plus Mike D, right?
It is now the most stream show ever.
What is happening?
Star Wars, right?
But it's only been out for a bit.
Barely.
The Mandalorian has officially taken the top spot
with over 100 million demand expressions
surpassing the 81 million of Stranger Things.
By the way, that means in a week.
You know what the most stream show of all time is?
The office.
Yeah.
But I think they're delivering this one
Is it weekly, Mike D?
Every Friday.
Every Friday they have a new episode.
I don't hate that anymore.
I'm, you know, I've binged enough shows
to know that's not healthy for me.
Yeah.
I don't even enjoy them as much anymore
because I'm just exhausted
while watching the ninth episode in the day.
Yeah.
It's like, I do want to get to,
and you know, we have a break for a couple days.
I do want to get to Dolly's heartstrings,
Morgan number two.
It's so good.
Yeah, I was thinking about you.
You're going to cry a little bit, though.
They're fictional stories, though, right?
they're loosely based on her the stories behind her songs.
I'm going to watch.
I have tomorrow, Thursday,
I have Friday.
Although, like I said,
I'm going to go to next game Friday.
It's pretty awesome.
Baller.
Yeah,
I have a friend that was like,
I know like the owner,
if you have a day off,
you should go because they aren't a good team right now.
And they're like,
they'd love for you to come up and.
So if they know the owner,
then you might be in the court side.
I'm sitting in like the owner's section.
Oh.
Oh, legit.
The garden?
Dude.
I don't, I haven't been there enough to call it the garden.
Oh, that's what they call it in New York.
I know, but I'm not cool.
They're playing Philly?
They are.
How'd you know that?
That tells you that?
Maybe I like the gamble in sports.
They are playing the 76ers.
Nice, dude.
Who are you going with?
A friend for New York.
Yeah, someone that's worked for the team.
So, yeah.
Is that all we're going to say?
I'm just trying to, okay.
Yeah, I'm not going with anybody except, like, somebody that's like, hey, we can get
into the game.
So I would tell you if not
Is that what's up?
Anything else?
No.
I think I'm done.
I got a lot to do today.
What are you doing tonight again?
That I have a date.
That's what Amy was leading to.
I'll tell you.
You guys are so shady.
Who shabes?
And Amy?
Just ask him.
I might see there.
No.
I mean, I'm just saying.
You'll hear in the final segment of the show later today.
This is how you do it.
All you have to do is ask.
is ask and I will tell you and say I'm like,
who you're going with? There you go.
Yeah, because I'm not going to say a name anyway.
Well, you know, like it's never going to happen.
It's never happened to the history of this show.
I didn't think you were going to say name.
I know.
You're just so weird about it.
They're so weird.
Oh, Eddie, like you're always so normal about it.
She tells me.
Okay.
I already know who he's even going with.
Then why'd you ask?
I didn't.
I said, she's being weird.
No, because he said.
Lunchbox was weird.
He goes out.
He goes out.
Oh, Bobby.
No.
I did piggyback off the weird, but you said,
Oh, wow. How was that weird?
Because he goes, I got to go. I got a lot of do today.
I do. I do. And then I was thinking of all the things you have to do today, one of which includes maybe.
Countdown for this weekend. We're off for a couple days. So it's like we got to knock out a bunch of stuff.
Right.
Therapy. Oh, do you think it's interesting that you go on a date the same day you have therapy? That could be good.
Do I think it's interesting? I think it's probably, it happens sometimes. Yeah.
It's helpful. I mean, because it does the, it's not always going to align.
that way, but you're going to be going to be
going to this date, like, pretty all...
Therapyed up?
Ready to get married?
Right?
Start working on it immediately.
It has really done me good.
If you go on a date like and you haven't been to therapy
and like two weeks, you might not be as ready.
I wouldn't be dating, you know, and I'm dating somewhat frequently now.
I just wouldn't be doing it as much if my therapist wasn't like,
you're, this is you now.
Go date until you find somebody.
And then when you find somebody that you want to date a little more serious,
stop dating everybody else.
Right.
And then date them only.
but until that point, go out and find who interests you.
I wonder if it'll come up on your date tonight that you went to couples therapy today.
By myself?
Yeah.
I mean, it could.
Okay.
Boy, you want to see people who lit up when I was not dancing with stars sitting at the table
because there was a girl next to me?
Oh, I saw those.
As every question.
Did you ever respond to anyone?
Nope.
I have nothing to say.
I don't even want to be weird about it.
We're just not going to talk.
Yeah, it can't be weird about it.
If you ask a question, it'd be weird.
Guys, guys.
You didn't just ask a question.
question.
I didn't do that.
You're like, hey, you're going on a date, taking some big of course?
That's it.
Be like a normal human.
Okay.
Are you taking a date to the next game?
No.
So it's not a date.
No.
Is it taking you?
Yeah, there you go.
I'm going.
I have a friend called and said, hey, if you want to come, anytime in the winter come, the only time I can go is Friday.
See?
You just told you guys.
And I'm actually going up just for the game and they're coming back.
Not the same night.
Like the next morning.
That's going to be so cool.
You're going to go see the tree?
I've never been to a NBA game.
You've never been to a NBA game.
to a game in general?
No, I took you to a Spurs game one time.
You're right.
Wow.
Wow.
You're right.
Hey, he loved that.
Hey, you forgot that much.
Good times.
I did.
I even took you in the tunnel where you can.
Oh, yeah.
Eddie,
me and all the five years were giving high fives.
Because your parents are season ticket holders, right?
Yes.
I do.
You're right.
And my dad's like, you guys want these cool.
I even told my friend.
I said, never been to NBA game.
Oh, well, then, hey, just you haven't.
Let's keep it that way.
Be like, except for that one time I went to see the Spurs play.
I forgot about that.
That was fun.
Dang.
I hate me right now.
Nah, you're good.
All right.
I mean, you never been to the Knicks game
at the Madison Square Garden.
That's amazing.
Yeah.
But while you're in New York,
you're going to go see the tree?
No.
You're going to go ice skating?
I don't think so.
Oh.
And the Rockettes?
I don't think so.
Just at least go see the tree.
Not, again.
You're going to go to Times Square?
This is in no way even a mile flex,
but I'm in New York all the time.
I know, but not.
I don't need to just go see.
Or Bobby.
I'm not, I don't see it as a,
a flex. I mean, yes,
we go to New York for work sometimes. You're there
a lot. I don't even want to go, but I'm there a lot.
But New York on vacation, but it's
different. New York during, I'm not on vacation. I'm there for like
13 hours. You are going. You're not going for
the next. And during Christmas time,
it's like a magical place.
Beautiful, dude. And if you go to Rockefeller's... I've been
before. Are you going to go see where solely landed the plane?
The Hudson? Yeah.
That's not Christmasy.
What are you talking about? They decorate. That disgusting body of water.
Nice reference.
Love it.
Oh, I give it.
County Crow's live record.
Yeah, the second one, the red one.
Oh, yeah.
With all that electric instruments.
Just went nerdy on us.
Cross the live wire.
Okay.
Okay.
Done.
I'm done with you.
I can't even have a normal adult conversation anymore.
The only person I can, like, talk with is Morgan number two.
All we did was ask questions.
Then you go, then you're like, me.
And you're like, I'm going to be a game with.
And I look over at Amy.
And first of all, she's not even going, stop being idiot lunchbox.
She's going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, I'm going, too.
Amy, what was that?
I was trying to
We were looking for information.
Right, I know.
You got to be casual about it.
I was casual.
I said, what you're going with.
That's what I'm saying.
We were just trying to be casual.
You all are the opposite of casual.
So weird.
What?
All right.
Thank you guys.
We'll see you.
Well, here's today's show.
The show starts right now.
I am considering putting this at the end of the podcast now.
No.
Post show.
Post-show.
Because I'll listen back to it and I'll be like,
I just want to hear the show.
Oh.
Oh, like stop talking already?
Yeah.
like you're rambling.
You tell yourself that while you're listening.
Oh, that's why I don't listen to me back.
You start yelling at yourself.
You're an idiot.
Yeah, yeah, I do.
Okay, here's the show.
I'm thinking about you putting this into the podcast.
Well, why don't you ask the people?
They've already said they like it where it is.
But they haven't had it the other way.
Yeah, they don't know.
Until you've had ice cream with turkey visitor.
There you go.
All right.
Thank you very much.
Enjoy, here's a go.
The Bobby Bones Show.
Big Three Stories.
Ramundo's got the news.
here on Wednesday. What you got, Remundo?
Thousands airline passengers have been stranded by this major storm.
There's also been widespread road closures and car pile-ups in the icy roads,
so definitely leave early and plan ahead.
In other news, an unauthorized aircraft, which sparked the White House lockdown yesterday
and caused fighter jets to scramble over D.C. may have been a flock of birds.
They're still investigating.
And finally, Twitter plans to delete inactive accounts next month, so usernames that you may want
will be up for grabs.
Back to you, Bones.
All right, that's the news.
we got a few things to do. We will do a 60 second showdown and give someone a chance to win a hundred
dollars of my cash. Also, they pulled over this truck because they were carrying a bunch of black
market something. I didn't know this was even a black market item, but we'll talk about that
coming up as well as someone calls 911 and didn't want to say out loud what the issue was.
So they kind of did a code word. I have the audio from that. Also a great story. We'll do that
coming up as well too. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University.

I'll go over to Kayla, who's on the phone right now, calling us from Maine.
Kayla, how are you?
Hi, good morning, studio.
Morning.
Hey, so what's Maine like as we get like November to December?
Is it just freezing cold?
Yes
Yep, pretty much
But do you get used to it?
It's very cold
Like
I mean, I think so
I'm from here originally
I actually lived in National
Seven years
And then came back up here
I think you do get used to it
I mean not everyone obviously
But I think you do
That's the one place
I gotta get to
I feel like I've been everywhere else
I travel a lot doing shows
I think I've been to every state
Just about
Except for Maine and Alaska
But I do
I do want to get to Maine
I want to get some of those
some of that seafood up there.
Lobsters.
I love lobster bish.
Do you guys have it?
You make good loftier bisk?
Does everybody in Maine make good lobstre bisk?
Oh yeah, of course.
It's a staple.
And where do you live exactly in Maine?
So I live in a town called Woolwich,
which is nearby bath,
which is where bath ironworks is.
It makes a lot of the naval ships
for the government and things like that.
Yeah, I got to get up there.
I'm going to wait until winter's over,
but I think I'm going to go.
2020 is the year Bobby goes to Maine.
Yeah, I love it.
Yeah, I think so.
Well, Kayla, is there anything you'd like to ask us?
Yes, I actually was wondering, Bobby, I know you're a big fan of the office, and I'm a huge fan as well.
I was wondering if you've listened to the Office Ladies podcast by Jenna Fisher and Angela Kinsey.
I have.
I think I've listened to every episode so far, and it's actually one, I love The Office, my favorite show of all time.
And I feel like they're getting better, too.
So I do listen to that podcast.
Do you like it?
I do.
I think it was a little slow in the beginning, but now I think there are all.
on a really good role and it's been really interesting.
I just love knowing those little like behind the scenes thing.
Amy, what are you listening to, podcasts?
Anything that you're just dialed into?
I'm always dialed into how I built this.
And then I also love Second Life by Hilary Kerr, where she talks to women who had a career
before their now job.
So they had a career and then they made a career shift.
Oh, that's interesting.
So that's interesting.
Like Brooklyn Decker's been on it where she went from like modeling and acting and
and now as an entrepreneur with a business.
I like this Business Wars podcast where they talk about two companies.
I'll listen to like WCW versus WWE.
I've listened to Adidas versus Nike.
And they grow at the same time and they're battling each other.
So that one's good.
I like Disgraceland, which is about big artists that have, you know, probably done crime.
And they talk about that.
That's an interesting disgraceland.
Oh, I feel like you've told me that before and I've forgotten it.
I need to remember that one.
Because I like the crime.
Like ones.
I love four things with Amy Brown.
That's another good one.
Also, I mean, gosh, I have to mention the Bobbycast.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Kayla, do you ever listen to Bobbycast?
My interview podcast?
I do.
I've only recently got into podcasts.
So I'm sort of finding my way a little bit.
Well, it's great.
Podcasting, and listen, IHare Radio is the biggest podcaster.
And you can go on that app, IHHR Radio, and anything that you care about, there's a show for.
It's pretty amazing.
Like, whatever your specialty, whatever you love,
Again, if it's The Simpsons, they have one.
If it's Monster Trucks, they have one.
So I would encourage you to check that out.
And again, I do an interview show from my house called The Bobbycast.
But since I have you here, Kayla, I know it's early in the morning.
Would you like to play a round of the 60-second showdown?
Sure.
Okay.
You have a chance to win $100.
Okay?
It's in my own cash.
She did not know she was playing this, by the way.
I just picked it.
Obviously.
Yeah.
I feel like she's nervous now.
We have one category left.
I'm really nervous.
That's okay.
Take a deep breath.
Now. Good. U.S. presidents. Easy category. If you don't know.
You, like how many? Oh. That's hard. Okay. All right. We're rooting for you.
If you don't know, you can pass. Okay. If you miss it, you can pass. I don't feel like these are
that hard. It's maybe the easiest set of questions. Okay. So how many questions are there?
10. She has 60 seconds to get them all right. I would know 10 answers to her questions.
I'll tell you what, Kayla, you can do it or you can let Amy try it. And she can play for you.
Me, I really like you, so I'm going to do it myself.
Oh, okay.
Got her.
Got her.
Okay, here we go.
Are you ready?
It starts as soon as the first question's over.
Question number one.
Which president was assassinated at the Ford Theater in 1865?
Abraham Lincoln.
Correct.
How many presidents have there been?
45.
Correct.
Who is the youngest president to ever be elected?
Pass.
What president said, read my lips.
No new taxes.
Pass.
President Clinton is from what state?
The Republican mascot is what animal?
Elephant.
Correct.
Who's on the $1 bill?
George Washington.
Correct.
Who is the first president to live in the White House?
I don't know.
Garfield?
Incorrect.
I don't know.
The teddy bear was named after what president?
Teddy Roosevelt?
Correct.
George W. Bush was governor of what state?
Yeah.
Incorrect.
President Clinton is from what state?
Oh.
You did okay.
She was rolling through them pretty good.
That's not great.
Amy, had to feel like you would have done.
I feel like I was getting them.
Yeah.
The youngest president ever to be elected?
Obama.
Incorrect.
JFK?
You're right.
Okay, so I would just circle back to that because I feel like they were in a million ahead.
Go ahead.
JFK was 43 years old when elected president.
And then Obama was, what, 44?
I believe so.
Which president said, read my lips, no new taxes?
George Bush, senior.
Would have accepted George Bush.
Thank you.
President Clinton.
That's from what state?
Arkansas.
Correct.
The first president to live in the White House.
Adams.
Correct.
It was being built while Washington was president.
Yeah. He missed out.
You nailed the teddy bear question.
Good for you, by the way, Kayla.
It was Theodore Roosevelt or Teddy Roosevelt.
Oh, thank.
Yeah.
And then George W. Bush was governor of what state?
Texas.
Texas.
There you go.
Kayla, you didn't win, but we got to spend a little time together.
And for that, I'm appreciative.
Thank you so much for having me on.
And I really appreciate you guys every morning.
I listen to you guys up here.
And just thank you for everything you do.
And you know what they say?
Don't smile because it's over.
No, wait.
Don't cry because I'm sorry.
it's over, smile because it happened.
Oh, I remember that.
That's almost hard saying to people who lose.
I'm like, hey, don't cry
because it's over, smile because it happened.
That's Dr. Suss.
All right, Kayla, have a great day.
Thank you, too.
All right, bye-bye.
There she is, Kayla.
I think this is a pretty important story to share.
A woman in Ohio called 911
earlier this month and pretended she was ordering a pizza
so her mother's
abusive boyfriend wouldn't know she called
the cops.
The 911 dispatcher figured out what she's doing
And the cops came in arrest of the guy
But pretty smart, huh?
Yeah
It's actually really, really smart
I have a clip here, here's this
9-1-9-1
I look like to order a pizza
You called 911 to order a pizza?
Yeah
This is the wrong number to call for a pizza
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, you're not
I'm getting you now
The other guy's still there?
Yeah, I need a large pizza
All right
How about medical? You need medical?
No, with pepperoni
Turn your sirens off before you get there.
Call her ordered a pizza and agreed with everything I said that there's domestic violence going on.
How about that, Amy?
Wow.
Just got goosebumps.
Yeah, it's good on a couple of them, right?
Like, good on her to think of that.
Mm-hmm.
And good on him to...
I know.
And to not like...
Just hang up.
Yes.
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, because I would think, God, she got lucky getting a guy that's, like, patient.
Because, you know, 9-1...
They probably do get the, like, oh, I ordered seven chicken tenders.
They only gave me six.
you know.
And we all laugh about it on the air.
Right.
But, I mean, he was patient with her and realized, okay, yeah, this could be something more.
There was another story about food.
Not as serious, but 150 pounds of black market bologna was seized in Texas.
Yeah.
Which is funny.
Black market bologna, also my nickname in college.
But, I mean, who knew that was a thing?
I think that's black market everybody, but yeah, that much.
That's a lot.
It was seized because it was a prohibited product made from the pork and has potential for
introducing foreign and animal diseases to the U.S. pork industry.
It's probably so good though, huh?
Like, it's probably so good.
I don't know.
You tell us, black market bologna.
Call me that.
Officials confiscated the 14 rolls,
weighing more than 154 pounds,
destroyed it, and released the driver.
Dang.
Best pound-for-pound lunch meat.
Amy.
Like a honey roasted turkey breast.
Mmm.
It's good.
Yeah.
It's good.
Lunchbox?
I like this stuff called pepper mill turkey breast.
It's like pepper on the side.
It's really good.
That's good too.
Both of those are solid picks.
Eddie?
I'm going to have to go with turkey breasts, but wild boar, they make a bunch of variety of different kinds of turkey breasts.
So good.
Boy, you guys are all going turkey, huh?
It's hard to argue turkey because it's thin and taste good.
But I'm going to go back and go baloney.
I had so much baloney as a kid that it makes me feel good about, like, gives me good memories.
Bologna on white bread, and I would just cover it in mustard.
Do you remember having to take off the little red plastic part of your meat?
Yeah.
Yeah.
You, like, I don't know if they still have that.
But yeah, you take it and you peel.
The edge was actually like the rapper.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was the good old days.
Well, not really the good old days.
But white bread and baloney and a ton of mustard reminds me of just growing up.
What am I mean?
Yeah, I was just thinking it was the days.
The days.
It was the days.
It was the days.
Maybe not the good old days, but the days.
But in college, too, that's all I was eating.
Was that in.
ramen noodles because you could get six boxes of them for five bucks.
That was the struggle.
You know what?
Those are the good old days because they made me what today is.
That's right.
So I'll call them the good old days.
I'll give you one of the story.
Tyler Perry paid for a couple's hospital bill so they could leave Mexico.
Oh, wow.
He saved a couple from being stranded in Mexico.
They claimed they were blocked from leaving before paying a hospital bill after a medical emergency.
So TMZ reports that Tyler Perry paid the $14,000 bill in full.
That great story
Is very gracious
Yeah
By the way
This isn't uncommon
I was reading that Mexico holds people back
If they can't pay their bill
They're just lucky the word got out
Yeah
Apparently Tyler Perry first called the hospital
And tried to pay the bill off with the credit card
But they wouldn't allow it
Hospital officials wanted cash
Which he saw
They wired it
Mm-hmm
Shout out Tyler Perry

Let's know.
Transmitting across America.
This is the Bobby Bones show.
That's right.
Now, here.
You guys can email us anytime we open up the mailbag, usually about once a morning, and let's do it again.
Bobby's Mailbag.
Hey, good morning, guys.
as Ashley, I'm recently engaged. My fiance and I met a year and a half ago. Everything's been great.
The only hiccup we're having now is that when I buy something that he deems expensive, usually
$500 or more, he feels like I should tell him before I buy it. I've never had to do this before,
but he thinks now that we live together and we will for the rest of our lives, we should figure out
some sort of budget and share. I don't like having to check in with someone if I want to make a purchase,
but is this the right thing to do?
My parents divorced when I was young
so I don't know how this works.
Signed Ashley.
I'll say this first of all,
there's not just a single way it works.
I think that's where people get in trouble
in any sort of relationship.
Romantic friendship.
There just isn't a way that it works.
So I'm going to lead with that.
And if he's saying check in with me at 500 bucks
and you don't like that,
you're both going to have to
compromise a bit. It could feel weird you if you've never done it. I would have trouble with that.
I've never had to talk about money with anyone. I'm single as a pringle, right Amy?
Yes, very much so. But if I were dating someone and she were like, hey, this is a big deal to me.
I would make it a little bit bigger deal to myself if it were a big deal to her. So I know you don't
want to and he really does, but maybe you lift it up a little bit. Maybe you go, okay, I will let you know
anything, but I mean, we're talking big money here too, 500 bucks, holy crap. Maybe you go, any time that I
spend over,
this feels like a ridiculous number,
$750, I'm just using it as a number
because of where she started,
that I'll check in with you.
But otherwise, you got to give me a little more room
than what you've already stated.
I just feel like there's a better middle ground
to just what he says and that's it.
Amy?
There has to be some middle ground, and I think that
this is just one example of both of you
practicing compromise,
because any relationship is going to have to have
some of the give and take.
And when my husband,
and I first got married, we did this exact thing. And it was very helpful. But it was out of,
we shared an account and it was just out of respect for each other kind of trying to get used to
that. Like, when we first got married, it was $100. Like, if you had to spend anything. And I
remember one time, because he was so much tighter with money than I ever was. And we first got
married, I, like, freaked out one time because I bought a smoothie and it was $8. And I thought,
oh my gosh like this is just I can't believe I'm doing this but it was actually good for me because
it helped me realize what I was spending money on when you know we were newly married and trying
to save up to buy a house and do things that we needed to do together and if he I'm more loosy
goosey and we probably wouldn't able to buy a house like we'd have no money if it was just for me
so I'm thankful that he was like that and then as we've been married and it's gotten bigger like
it's gone up we don't really check in with each other until X amount because you trust now
Yes, we built that up.
And it's really, but I will say finances is something that is super sensitive and can
really get in there and harm a relationship if you're not communicating about it.
Well, by the way, $500 seems like a lot of money.
I don't know what kind of what they're living on over here.
I'll say this.
If you don't, if he's like, hey, check in at $500 and you're like, I don't know if feel
comfortable with that, you can either one move the dollar amount up or down or you.
Or you can just pick something and make him do something too.
Like life is all about compromise.
Business, relationships.
So my only advice is just because you didn't see it with your parents,
just because someone else does it, doesn't mean it's right.
You have to find what works for you.
If it makes you uncomfortable, you got to find a middle ground with it.
Agree.
You guys have a rule now, Amy, at all?
We're about 13 years in, and we're.
We both work and there's a lot of stuff we have to spend money on.
So we don't really check in as much as we used to.
But I mean, he'll question me about some stuff.
If he doesn't, if we haven't talked to him about it, he'll see the transaction and be like, excuse me.
Hey, Eddie, with two new kids, do you and your wife have any, you have four kids now?
You have two foster kids.
Do you and your wife have any new rules?
Big time.
I mean, we have that conversation all the time.
Like just yesterday, my wife was asking me about some service she wants to do that's going to cost $75 a month.
And that's just, you know, she has, before she even clicked.
anything, she's like, I really want to talk about this. It could really add up. So let's not
make a decision until we can both talk about it. So yeah, dude, that's a big part of our life to
talk about anything. And it's not $100, not $500. It's anything. Oh, anything. Yeah. And you
guys are also trying to get out of debt. Correct. And we're so close. But I'm saying like,
did it change once you took on two extra kids? Yeah, I think it gets harder. Yeah, with the kids,
of course, like you spend more on the kids. And I think that with clothes and things like that or like
even a toy for the kid, yes, it definitely changes. You can reach out to us. It
anytime. Morgan number two, how do they reach out and hop in the mailbag?
Mailbag at bobby bones.com.
All right. Close the mailbag.
And that was Bobby's mailbag.
The Bobby Bone Show.
So let's talk about country music and here's our segment called On This Day in Country Music.
The Bobby Bones Show.
On this day in country music.
Today in 2009, so 10 years ago, Lady Annabellums need you now,
five week number one on the country chart.
Massive song.
They won the Grammy for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
They also performed.
And I was talking with Dave Haywood from Lady Anabellum on my podcast, episode 103 of the Bobbycast.
And this song wasn't even going to be on their album.
Amy, it was just a voice memo on their phone that they weren't going to record at all.
Here's Dave talking about that.
Charles had some melodies on the guitar.
He had just started playing guitar, actually, and learned a few chords on the acoustic.
So he came up with some of the melody on the verse.
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da.
The acoustic demo is just.
were fumbling all over the melody.
You know, it's like he messes up a lyric
and it was just all over the place.
The acoustic demo was really just, it was just a
voice memo from our phone. And so it sounded
really rough. And
they were like, well, let's just cut it. And they
recorded it and they weren't going to put it on the record.
And they're like, okay, well, just put it on the
record, it'll probably never be a single.
And then it became a massive
song for them. Wow. Like their biggest song by far.
Isn't that crazy? It's crazy.
Episode 103, the Bobbycast, if you want to hear
that story. I thought that was pretty good one.
Congratulations to those guys
2009, 10 years ago,
five week number one
and that was on this day
in country music.
That was.
On this day in country music.
Got an update in the
Ray Mundo
proposal situation.
Have you heard this, Amy?
No, I haven't.
We do have movement.
Okay.
Ray Mundo's been with this girl
for six years.
We've been pressuring him
like Wednesday engagement coming.
We got a bit of news
in the next segment
here on the Bobby Bone show.
This is the Bobby Mons show.
our producer Raimundo who pushes all the buttons during the show also edits a lot of the sound clips that you hear
he's been with this girl for six years and Ramundo you met her because one of your best friends was on a dating app and went out with her right?
Yeah and we all hung out that weekend. I thought she was pretty cool. We got along well and I just said before you leave town leave me her number and I'm going to try and follow up and go on a date with this girl and then bam six years later still dating.
And you guys are living together?
Yeah, got a nice little place on the west side.
Yeah, we love in life.
Been through a lot.
Like you went through her entire run when she fought breast cancer?
Yeah, she overcame it.
It was a year battle and she knocked it out.
And I mean, she's been good now for an entire year.
And you've said that, first of all,
it was going to be the summer of love when you were going to get engaged.
And summer came and went.
Correct.
I originally said summer of love.
And then I just got, I ended up,
there were some hiccups.
Stuff got pushed back.
I never got the ring.
I never talked to her dad.
So I kind of screwed that up.
But yeah, we missed that.
And then he said it was going to be the fall of love.
which technically it's maybe still fall,
but then I knew that it's going to be probably closer to Thanksgiving
when I'm able to talk to her dad.
And then the Christmas time, her birthday,
there's just a lot more things to where it'd be more memorable to propose.
And there is an update now, Raymondo six years in.
What's the latest?
So anyways, I was all gung-ho.
Sales is still working on the ring,
trying to get a little bit of a deal there,
not a crazy deal, but just something to help out a little bit.
And then just out of,
and I want to talk to her dad,
so we have Thanksgiving. That can still happen
and everything. And then I wanted to be here in the
next month, but then at a nowhere
I had vehicle trouble, and I
needed a new transmission.
So the whole ring fund that
I had built up, it was in my drawer
all right there, cash saved away.
I had to spend all of that on a new
transmission. So I mean,
that's pushing me back at least another month.
Oh, no.
Eddie just told me about three
days ago that Ray was never going to propose,
especially not this year.
I truly believe it deep in my heart that we're just going to be waiting forever.
And we're going to be hearing more excuses like this over and over.
This really, honestly, it was not an excuse.
It came out of nowhere.
But to have a vehicle to bring me to my job where I do make money to eventually be able to afford that ring,
I had to get a new transmission.
And it might be the most expensive thing on a vehicle.
Like, we're talking thousands of dollars.
Just had to fork it over.
You know, you can put a ring on a credit card.
You should just get a new car if you're sending thousands of dollars on your current.
car, right? Honestly, it was fight or flight. I was like, do I just put money into this car? Do I get a
brand new? And I just decided that was the best decision. It doesn't have to be brand new. But I just
didn't know if for the, I don't, never mind, sidebar financial advice. But that's a bummer.
So that was the ring fun, but I can start building it again. It's just going to take a little bit of
time. Am I going to talk to her father? Yes. Is the ring going to be here so I can purchase it in the next
month? I don't know. Amy, your thoughts. I don't even know what to leave any.
more. I thought he was going to get engaged in summer.
So did I. And I thought for sure, like the holidays coming up, but now I feel like he's just
setting us up for like, you know, that it's not happening. Like every time you ask him,
it's something. Something got in the way.
How do you think his girlfriend feels? Oh, I know. I know she's ready. She doesn't even
care if there's a ring, right? She knows about the transmission and she just understands.
It's an unfortunate set of circumstances that just happened on the interstate while was driving.
Let me say this, Ramondo.
Let me say this.
There's always going to be something that keeps you from doing it.
Always.
Always.
There's never going to be a time where everything is perfect for anything to happen in your life.
A new job, engagement, kids.
There's never a perfect time.
If you want to do it, you just have to do it and then figure it out after that.
I definitely want to do it.
You owe it to her.
I know.
And I'm going to do it.
But sometimes stuff gets pushed back.
Nothing happens right on plan.
when they do construction projects,
sometimes they have to delay them.
So are you thinking maybe the St. Patrick's Day of Love coming up next year?
I'm thinking it's going to be very, very difficult in 2019.
I mean, it just depends.
Sales is still telling me the exact amount that I owe.
You have to do a down payment.
I mean, rings aren't free.
Transmissions aren't free.
It's just so much right now at the same time.
So I'm just telling you guys, I'm keeping you up to date.
It's maybe not going to be this year.
Sounds like a rap song.
Rings aren't free.
Transmissions aren't free.
Rings.
All right.
Okay, round the room. When does Ray get engaged? Amy.
Gosh, I don't know.
20, 21.
Lunchbox?
Valentine's Day, 2020.
Eddie? I'm tired of getting pushed around. Never.
Okay. I mean...
I'm going to go with Christmas. I'm still thinking he's going to do it at Christmas.
Good. Thank you. At least one of us had hope. I'm thinking about me.
I never lose hope in Ray Moon, Do you know. I don't want to, but I'm just like, I don't even know what to think anymore.
I'm just so perplexed by this. Like, he should have been engaged a long time ago.
Yeah, I hear you guys. But I also got some tricks up my sleep.
If I'm going to start building that ring fund
What are these tricks up your sleeves?
Remember I used to Uber drive?
That's straight cash.
And I could pick that up again.
It's not straight cash.
It honestly is.
You don't pay taxes on it.
It's the opposite of cash. One, you do pay taxes on it.
And two, it's not cash.
We're the real Uber app because I'm pretty sure you'd pay taxes.
It's a Bobby Bones show.
We are just about an hour and a half away from our video producer Eddie
trying to kick a 30 year or 30 year 30 year 30 year 30 yard goal sorry I was watching your Twitter
yesterday and I saw you kicking uh they look like about a five yarder no it's 30 was it I mean I winged
it the field I went to as an old junior high I didn't really have the lines on the field so I kind of
did the old step that used to do in elementary school oh so it wasn't accurate not not exactly but
I did give it a couple more steps just in case I was off if you missed the show yesterday
Eddie claims he almost walked on in college to become the kicker at your college of.
Sam Houston State University, Bearcats.
Also claimed he was the three-star recruit.
And someone did all of the data pull from when you were in college.
They only had like one three-star recruit in the whole team.
Yeah.
A couple of two stars.
And every other player wasn't a record.
So you'd have been the best player on the team if according to what you say.
If I would have just stuck with it because I didn't, I was a three-star in high school.
But then once I went to college, I was just like whatever.
But there are no stars in.
college. No, I know. What I'm saying is I just
pick Samu's State because I wanted to go there for something else.
Not, not. Well, coming up about
an hour and a half, Eddie will kick. And if you lose,
if you get two shots at it, if you miss
both shots, you have to go on the street
and hold up a sign that says,
I am not an athlete. Correct. If you win, I'm buying all your kids' shoes.
Yes. And don't forget about the three lines
in the eyebrow. Ooh, I talked to my wife about that.
No, but that's the deal. That's part of the deal.
Because she says we have Christmas pictures coming up, so she's a little...
You can color them in. Okay. Or just hit the field goal.
Yeah, or make the fill go.
Lunchbox will be holding for you, by the way.
Perfect.
Good.
It'll be holding.
All right, don't pull the ball.
He's going to Charlie Brown on you.
Okay, so that's coming up in about an hour and a half.
Don't miss that.
Also, Amy's pile is next.
What's going on over there?
Well, there's new trend going down on TikTok, but it's making its way throughout the internet.
I don't think it's going to just stay on TikTok, but people are doing something
that's crazy.
And I've been looking for a Thanksgiving activity that we could all do.
And maybe we do it.
Well, for those that don't know what TikTok is, because I don't think a lot of people do yet.
It's a social media app that I,
Me and all the teens are on.
Yes.
I don't talk with them.
I just make content.
All the kids these days are doing this.
And it's a challenge.
And it's kind of dangerous and crazy.
All right.
We'll come back and do that next.
Thank you.
The morning show's official Twitter account.
Tweet us at Bobby Bone's show.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So have you seen the challenge online where people are standing around with their heads down
and that you're not allowed to look up?
And they throw something in the air and they just have to hope it doesn't land on them.
Yeah, so what happens is it's like a bunch of, let's imagine you're in a huddle.
Yeah.
And you're looking, you know, you're all in a huddle.
And then one person started with eggs.
Oh, I've just been on seeing the TikTok for a month at this point.
Oh, okay.
And you throw them up high and you just wait and see who it hits and you're eliminated.
It's kind of like survivor of the idiots.
So, and then it starts to get funnier and funnier because they don't do eggs.
And they start doing big stuff.
Yeah.
And then you're just like somebody's going to die at this eventually.
Yes, like safety cones, plastic chairs, buckets,
wheelchairs, a kid's bike.
The thrower, though.
is a bit
has the advantage
because they get to throw it and it
a bit angle it. Right.
But yeah, it's pretty funny.
Don't play this game unless it's with like an egg or something.
Oh, seriously though, I'm looking for activities at Thanksgiving.
I'd have to play it, but only with like an egg or a quarter.
Okay.
Not a bicycle.
There's kids who are on rocks up in the air.
It's crazy. Yeah, what else?
So Michael B. Jordan is in talks maybe to be the next Superman.
He kind of pitched the idea.
I guess he has a production company.
And if the movie is given
go ahead. It won't hit theaters to like 20, 23 because there's lots of like superhero films
happening. But yeah, Michael B. Jordan is Superman. And then there's a new term called we gifting,
not, not re-gifting, but we gifting. And 74% of us are guilty of doing it. And it's when you
give a gift to someone, but selfishly because you want it or you want to use it, like your spouse or
your partner or your kid or somebody in your family or even maybe your best friend, but it's like,
hey, I'm going to get you this, but
secretly because I want it and I want to borrow it.
It's called a we gifting.
We gifting.
Yeah, so think about it if you're guilty of that,
or start implementing it because you can get your husband or your wife something
and then you can use it.
I'm Amy. That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of story.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan number two, 30 second skinny.
Miranda Lambert will be performing on CBS's Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast tomorrow
morning and she'll perform her songs Bluebird and Settling Down.
Let me say this.
If you see someone in the parade playing on a float and it doesn't look live, it's probably
not and that's okay because it's hard to move those floats and have good audio coming
into television.
So we're not going to hate on people if they're lip syncing.
All right, right guys?
Yes.
It's just a hard thing to do.
Some of them, if they're on a stage that is a static stage, it's easier.
They're wired and dialed in.
I'm not sure what Miranda's thing is, or if she's going to be playing on a float or not.
But just in general, let's not all tweet angry things because someone's lipsinking on a float.
You know what?
Your life's going to be just fine.
But that's pretty cool.
Miranda's new song is great, by the way.
Love it.
All right.
What else, Morgan, number two?
Little Big Town is excited about Thanksgiving for all the eating and spending time with their families.
We love Thanksgiving because we get to be with our families, and we don't often get to spend a lot of time with our extended families.
I love being around the table with my family and talking and laughing and cooking.
and eating and eaten and eating and eating and eating the laughter around the eating the good cheer
the celebration the music and go and take a nap and come back and eating a man go to bed with a full
belly and take a nap and then get up and eat that is Kimberly Schlatman who by the way is the only guest
on my bobby cast to bring over food she showed up with food and she has a cooking show that she cooks
yeah a cookbook yeah it's great what else and Blake Shelton shared the
that his whole family and Gwen Stefani's whole family are headed down to Oklahoma for Thanksgiving
and they will spend it at Blake's Bed and Breakfast Hotel.
Right. There you have it. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny.

I was reading the story about Millie Bobby Brown,
who is seven in Stranger Things?
11.
Oh, is that what it is?
I think it's 11.
7.11.
She got a name that's a number.
I think you're right, Eddie.
By the way, the story is that she's going to be making $7 million in her next movie.
Oh, that's why.
That's why I got the number.
No, I'm still idiot.
It doesn't matter.
I probably would have messed it up anyway.
But I mean, now we know maybe why the seven was in your head.
She will play Sherlock Holmes's younger sister.
In Inola Holmes, she'll make $7 million for it.
She's 15 years old.
So, okay, all that money, it's a lot.
Good.
Good for her.
If she's worth it, if anyone can make that amount of money back,
because you're worth what you get back for it.
If to get her in is going to make more than that money in people buying tickets, she's worth it.
So, but that aside, I was surprised she's 15.
She's that old.
Are you that she's younger?
She was 11.
Oh.
She may have started 11, not anymore.
Yeah, it's been a few years.
How far is stranger things in your Netflix?
done? Oh no, I've only seen season one.
And I don't even know that I finished it.
Oh, really? Yeah.
I like season one a lot.
Yeah, I just don't know. I couldn't tell you what happened in the end.
I don't remember if I saw it.
I don't know if I finished season two.
Okay.
I think I did. Will you?
Not that I'm not hating on it because I think it's fantastic,
but there are just a lot of other shows that I'm more interested in.
We're now in the time of our life with TV programming and streaming that you don't have to catch up on all the cool shows
and there's not a pressure to because there are so many.
Many cool shows that you can't possibly.
So last night I was watching Jack Ryan.
Yeah, so was my sister.
We introduced her to it, season one episode of what.
I was jealous of the feeling that she was getting,
getting to start it from the beginning.
Well, I'm in season two.
I just watched episode two last night,
but I watched Jack Ryan, and it's really great.
I love it.
I think season two is better than season one.
They have a better idea of what they're doing.
I agree.
But Jim Halpert from the office plays Jack Ryan.
And so I watched Jack Ryan,
and then I went back and watched the office last night,
so I watched it every night.
And he's like just a skinnier version.
It's just the same actor playing two different roles
and kind of mess with my head a little bit.
But Jack Ryan's good if you have Amazon.
Amazon's killing it lately.
They have modern love, which is great.
Jack Ryan, which is really good.
They have that superhero show.
Yeah.
Boys.
The boys, which may have been one of my favorite shows of 2019.
Eh.
You're going to hate it anyway.
You were going into it with hater glasses on.
Yeah.
So, yeah, Amazon's doing it.
All right.
Speaking of things I hate,
Let's do Thanksgiving jokes here.
Oh.
Oh, that's that.
No.
That's good transition.
Okay.
I like the joke.
I like the jokes.
But.
Yeah, you're over the thing.
I know, they're lame.
It's just,
this is not a big pile to choose from.
And I do,
here's what I do like about
what you and Eddie have done.
You have went from,
instead of just finding bad jokes,
you two have been writing them.
Yeah.
Mostly a rhyme with gravy.
But yeah.
You know what, but great.
You know, I love a theme.
I love a theme.
I know.
So this has actually opened up
kind of a window.
The door's hard to get open, but you guys have opened a window.
I've been writing Thanksgiving jokes.
Okay, yeah.
Like, what's Carly Ray Jepson's favorite Thanksgiving song?
Call Me Gravy?
Yeah, there it is.
See, I just wrote that one.
Why didn't you see that and give it to me so I could say it right now?
I just met you, and this is crazy, but here's my number.
So call me gravy.
Yeah, see, but that's a theme.
Those are funny, right?
Okay, let's go over to Amy.
Let's hit that morning corny.
The morning.
Corny. What sound does a turkey's phone make?
What sound does a turkey's phone make?
Wing, wing, wing.
Okay, that's pretty good. That's pretty good. That's it though, right? That's it. No more turkey jokes.
Woo! No, I mean, that's it. Are you happy about that? No, we got through it.
Yes, we survived. We survived. There it is. I'm going to have to start writing for 2020 already.
But we start Christmas jokes next week? Yeah. Okay. There's a lot of those.
Yeah. It's like unlimited. Well, because with Christmas, you can do winter themed,
Snowman, then you've got reindeer, Santa.
Yeah, there's a lot.
Jesus.
Easy, easy.
Walk gingerly with the Jesus jokes.
It's a Bobby Bones show.
We've got a couple things we're going to get into.
In about 45 minutes, though, just as a heads up, Eddie, our video producer will be trying
to kick a 30-yard field goal.
Yes.
Yes, yes, yes.
Why I keep saying 30-year-old field goal.
I don't know.
A 30-yard.
field goal. And if he can do it, then I will buy all of his kids' shoes.
Thank goodness. By the way, there are a lot of them. Just in time for Christmas.
They're four of them. Yes, correct. No, these are Thanksgiving shoes probably.
Oh, okay. So Eddie's kids on the line. If you miss it, I get the kids.
Dude, last night they were like, please don't miss Dad. This would be so great.
Oh, you told them they made it shoes? Of course I do. Don't blame it. I'm if you don't make it. That's on you.
So Eddie, I'll try to kick this 30-yard field goal if he does. I buy all four of his kids' shoes.
if he misses it, he holds up a sign that says,
I'm not an athlete, and we shaved three lines in his eyebrow.
Oh, my God.
Yes.
This is all because he was bragging a dinner the other night in Louisville
that he could have walked on at his university and been the kicker.
And we're like, dude, you're the least athletic person on the show.
By the way, quite possibly the funniest.
Thank you.
Athletic is not your deal.
I mean, I was just saying what happened in college.
I had practice.
I was about to walk on, and then I was inconsistent with about 40 plus.
Sounds like I better not
You're bonkers
We'll do that
Hey Raymond, no
Any chance he makes this?
I'm saying no
My buddy's a kicker
So I've been on field before
It's a very difficult field goal
To make
It really is
So you go no
He can kick at the distance
But through the uprights
Absolutely not
Oh, okay
We'll do that coming up in a bit
Also
Amy who said this
I didn't go out looking
For someone really younger than me
You have no control
over who you fall in love with
we'll talk about that in a second
I'm trying to guess too.
Because he had to post a statement saying that.
Somebody really famous.
Oh.
We'll talk about that.
I'll tell you who that is coming up next.
The morning show's official YouTube channel.
Go to YouTube, search Bobby Bones show, and subscribe today.
Bobbitt Bones.
Who said, I didn't go looking for someone younger.
The age is not something that was in a consideration.
Amy?
I mean, who...
Is Jamie Fox dating somebody new that's young?
It's not who said it.
I'm not sure about that.
Okay.
I'll read you the full quote.
I didn't go out looking for an age gap or someone really younger than me.
I met her at a business event and the relationship developed.
I don't fall in love easily, but I can't let what a few people think control all of that.
Richard Geer?
Oh, good guess.
That's a good guess.
When I tell you, it's, let me say, before I say who it is, he's right.
He's right.
and not even in the dating or love in any part of your life
you should search for what fulfills you
if it's a job that people are like
that's not for you but you think it fulfills you
maybe it's less money and like oh you shouldn't do that
you know what go get it whatever makes you the happiest
if it's love whatever makes you the happiest
so although it's kind of weird but again it doesn't matter
when I say that it doesn't matter he shouldn't listen to idiots like me
it's Dennis Quaid
Oh. He's 65 and he's dating the girl is 26.
The 65 year old actor announced his engagement to Laura Savoy, 26 in late October, the 39 year age difference that got people talking.
And I'm talking about it, but I don't matter when it comes to this.
Pursue what fulfills you. That's it. As long as it's legal, go to town. That's all I'm saying.
But me, I'm talking about it because it does feel a little bit weird.
But he wasn't looking for young,
Young found him.
Man, what a line.
Work event.
When I get old, I'm going to say,
I want to look for Young.
Young found me.
I do have a game for you.
I'd like to play.
Okay.
I'm going to play U.S. president
Oh, great.
Or Instagram caption.
Okay.
So I'll read you a quote.
You tell me if it's an inspirational quote
from a U.S. president
or the caption from a celebrity's Instagram.
Okay.
So we're going to play it after Jordan Davis.
Gotcha.
So don't go looking at presidential quotes.
Well, come back.
If you're in the car with somebody, see how many you can get against them.
We'll do that next.
Bobby Bone Show.
The Bobby Bone Show.
So I'll read you a quote, Amy.
You tell me if it's an inspirational quote from a U.S. president.
Okay.
Or the caption from a celebrity's Instagram.
For example, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.
That would be FDR.
That would be from a president.
Gotcha.
Hey, let me put on Meadie in South Carolina, who is sitting by on the phone.
Hey, Meady.
Hi, it's actually Nady.
Okay, what is it?
Did you hear me?
Needy.
Oh, it's Mady.
Mady, Rends with Lady.
Oh, Mady.
Okay, they wrote Meady on my screen with two E's.
Okay, Maidy, that's how you say it?
Yes.
Okay, Maidy, how are you?
Are you good today?
I'm good. How are you, studio?
Great.
Well, no.
That's not, that's not.
Yeah, we don't answer to it.
I do not.
Let's try again.
I just want to call in and say...
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
I don't think she's trying to do that.
You don't think so?
No, I think she is.
She is.
I thought she was genuinely asking how we were.
Oh, I was.
I was, yeah.
See?
Tell how to do it, bones.
You just say morning studio, then we all yell back.
Is that what you wanted?
Morning studio.
Morning.
Thank you.
Okay, Maydie, go ahead.
Okay, I just called in, because my husband's been watching the Tonight Show since Jimmy
balanced switched over to being on a tonight show as opposed to a late-night show.
And so we've been calling Jimmy, Kyle's best friend Jimmy, for years now.
And so when we moved to South Carolina two years ago, I started listening to the Bobby Bone Show every day.
So now we call Bobby, Nady's best friend Bobby.
So I just wanted to call it and say that and, you know, say happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
Oh, thanks.
And we gave you a hard time.
Look at this.
My friends do, right?
Yeah.
DFS.
Hey, Maidy.
I'm going to, can you change it on my screen so I don't stop calling her Meaty?
Because it sounds like a meaty sound like a me.
Yes, like she's meaty.
Yeah.
Uh, Mady.
Here's what we're going to do.
I'm going to play a game with Amy.
If she wins, you win.
Okay.
Oh.
Okay, great.
So it's the president's or celebrity caption.
Amy, I'll give you five of them.
You have to get three out of five to win.
Okay.
Maity, a prize.
Ready?
Ready.
Blood, sweat, and respect.
The first two you give, the last one you earn.
Now, Amy, talk about it, the Mady.
I mean, I do not feel like I've heard that as a presidential quote, maybe.
I feel like maybe someone, like, that hasn't really given like.
I don't think that's a president.
Yeah.
I feel like it's a celebrity.
Celebrity that hasn't really, it's not really like literal blood and sweat.
Like they make music or something.
Blood sweat and...
I would think it's probably like a celebrity who like works out a lot.
Hmm.
Okay, we'll just go...
Blood sweat and respect.
The first two you give, the last you earn.
Is that a president or an Instagram caption from a celebrity?
Okay.
I'm going Instagram caption.
Okay.
You and Maddie you're on the same page there?
Yes.
Okay.
The answer is...
It's the rock.
That's you're correct.
Oh, well, okay.
So he does...
Good.
No, Maity.
You were on it, like a celebrity that works out.
Oh, yeah.
I kind of thought it was like Taylor Swift or something.
Okay.
Well, my brother is a fitness physique model,
so I kind of thought it was along those lines.
Oh.
Shout out, brother.
Shout out, fitness physique.
Ready.
Ready.
99% of failures come from people who make excuses.
99% of failures come from people who make excuses.
Was that a celebrity or a president?
Gosh.
I feel like that's something Bobby would say.
I feel like that one's a trick one.
Isn't that George Washington Carver?
I don't know.
Well, George Washington Carver was not a president.
Just for the record.
No, he wasn't.
I think that that's a trick question.
Well, but he also is not on Instagram.
Oh, great point.
He also is not on Instagram.
Right.
Good on Amy.
I haven't followed, or was he?
I've been following the peanut Washington.
So.
Is there a president or a celebrity on Instagram, Amy?
Gosh.
Or is that from Donald Trump on the apprentice or something like that?
Oh, interesting thought there.
It could be, Mike, did they all say this during their presidency?
Yeah.
Okay.
Oh, okay.
I didn't know if it was just like any time on social media.
Okay.
Amy, talk, we need an answer?
Okay.
What are we going with, Mady?
Slat.
Wait, read the whole quote again.
99% of failures come from people who make excuses.
Gosh.
I don't know.
Amy, I'm going to call to you.
I'll go with Slat.
Celebrity on Instagram.
Oh, no. Who was it?
The first president, George Washington.
Oh, well, maybe you were so close.
Oh.
Okay, next up.
I thought that was a trick question.
Okay.
Leave nothing for tomorrow, which can be done today.
Is that a president?
That sounds very old school.
Or is that someone who wrote it on Instagram, a celebrity?
Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today.
I feel like...
I don't know.
I feel like I've heard that before, which makes me think that it's not from Instagram.
Right. I feel like I've heard it for a long time.
Right. It's like a president calling into action. Like, do now for your country, which you can do today.
Not the quote, okay.
Close enough. Why if you're leaning toward ask not? Yes, but go ahead.
Okay. We're going to, oh gosh, this is harder than I thought it was going to be.
We're going to go with a president. Is that your final answer?
Yes.
Yes.
Correct.
Yes.
It is Abraham Lincoln.
That is exactly who I thought it was.
No, it was exactly.
In my head a little bit.
Madie, what do you do for a living?
I'm a database manager for Coastal Carolina University.
Yeah, she's whatever it is.
She's pretty good at this game.
She's like, I manage Instagram accounts for celebrities and presidents.
All right, let's do another one.
Amy, use your time wisely.
Be around people who push you.
Live your life with a plan.
live with purpose, set goals.
I'll read it one more time.
Is this a president that said this or a celebrity on Instagram?
Use your time wisely, be around people who push you, live your life with a plan, live with purpose, set goals.
Gosh, right now in my head, that's either Bobby Bones or Barack Obama.
What do you think?
The phrase people who push you does not sound very presidential to me.
Yeah.
What do you think, Amy?
I agree.
You're really, really good at this.
So I'm going to go with Celebrity on Instagram.
It is Justin Bieber.
That is right there.
And we got a winner here.
Yeah.
Okay, here's what we got.
Thank you, Amy.
Maddie, we're going to hook you up with a $100 Walmart gift card and a Walmart photo gift.
What's the gift that we have for her?
Is it one of the blankets?
Do we give way both the blankets?
Okay, we have different.
But you're going to get a $100 Walmart gift card.
Visit Walmart photo for personalized cards and gifts.
holiday season. Maybe can you use a $100 Walmart gift card?
Absolutely. Who can't use one? Yes. That's right. Who can't use one? What do you think you're
and go over and let me say this to our listeners. If you're looking for something cool for the
holiday, you can go over to the Walmart photo and not they personalized cards but all kinds of stuff.
Coffee mugs, blankets. They made a blanket they sent me. Wouldn't it be the picture I'd have
picked, but I was like holding on to some rings at the gym. But they made, they blew it up to a
blanket. Your biceps looked huge. Yeah, because they were blown up on a blanket.
They're like not that big. Anyway, check it out.
It's a Walmart photo for personalized gift cards and gifts to holiday season.
Maydie, you have been a real treat to have on the air.
I'll be honest with you.
Well, thank you, best friend, Bobby.
I'm glad that I got to speak with all of you.
Yeah.
Stay on the phone.
We're going to get you set up here.
Tell your husband that we said hello and have a good day at work.
Thank you, you too.
Hi.
There's Mady.
That's fun.
Amy, good job, too, by the way.
Oh, thanks.
I'm supposed to get a note here.
Everyone, this is Eddie and the crew need to leave for the field.
Oh, okay.
Eddie's going to the football field.
Gosh, I haven't really stretched.
What?
What's up, Morgan, number two?
Well, are we going to live stream from the football field?
Yes.
Then that means we got to shut down the live stream here.
Closer to half an hour from now, right?
Or now?
Well, Eddie and I are working it.
Okay.
Well, shut down the live stream right now.
But you'll be able to watch it live as Eddie tries to kick a 30-yard fill goal.
If he loses, he's got to hold a sign.
This is I'm not an athlete and shave three in his eyebrow.
Three.
I thought it was two.
Three.
And if he wins, I get to buy all his kids' shoes.
By the way, he has two kids of his own and two foster kids.
It's a four pair of shoes.
A lot of shoes.
That's eight different shoes.
Yeah. So it all happened because Eddie said he could kick a 30-yard field goal and he almost walked on in college, which just wasn't true.
But okay.
Says you.
That's right.
That's me.
We'll do that coming up in the next 25 minutes.
Tell me something good on the way as well.
And if you guys want to hop on, we'd love to talk to you.
877-77 Bobby.
877 Bobby.
Appreciate you guys.

A lot of people are asking what I'm doing for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
I'm going over to your house.
Yes.
Dinner starts at 2 p.m.
I like that time.
Why did you pick that time?
I think you threw it out there initially.
And then when I checked with my sister, she was like, oh, yeah, that's a great time.
Let's just do that.
How many people will be at your house?
Like, 23.
Wow.
Mm-hmm.
And I know you had said, hey, if you want to bring somebody, you can.
And I think you meant like a date.
But I did it.
What I did is I reached out to a friend of ours, Nurse Bobo, who comes on the show.
And he was like, I don't have anywhere to go.
And I was like, great. Come over to Amy's house.
I'm so glad you did.
Because he's someone that, yeah, I would reach out to if he was alone.
I guess in my mind, I just assumed he had plans.
So I'm so glad you asked him.
Well, so it just brings me to this.
Is it holidays are tough for some people.
And even for me, they're tough.
I'm glad that you're having a thing in town because most holiday I just sit at home with the dog.
And, you know, we just kind of hang out because I don't want to burden anyone.
And it's not that I feel like I'm not burdening you, but I don't mind burdening you,
which is even the better feeling.
That's even closer friendship.
Okay.
have no problem burdening you.
Good.
Because you would have no problem burdening me.
That's just what friends are for.
Yeah.
But that being said, I would encourage people to, if you can reach out and be like, hey, would you like to go with me or would you like to come to the house?
Even if you think and you're pretty sure that someone has somewhere to go,
worst thing that's going to happen is going to say no.
Right.
And then they still feel asked and loved.
Exactly.
So, yeah, we're going to go tomorrow.
So what's the plan?
Are you doing activities at your house or what?
Yeah, we're working on it.
There'll be some, I want to have like an icebreaker because there's going to be lots of different people there and not all of us really know each other, but some, some will be families, some will be friends.
And then for sure, for sure, when we gather around the table, which I found a way to fit all 23 people around one table.
Wow, really?
Yes.
I'm having to sandwich a bunch of tables together and then put benches all around because bench seating, you can fit more people.
So I'm excited about that.
And we for sure will go around the table and do the traditional, well, it seems traditional to me, but thanks.
giving like say one thing that you're thankful for.
So you're going to do that with every single person?
Yes.
That's like graduation with a large graduating class.
You're just like, oh my goodness.
Nobody can clap in between.
You clap at the end.
Jazz hands?
Only jazz hands they try to get it down.
That way it like goes in a speedy manner.
But I feel like that will be an activity.
But then also I want like another icebreaker or something fun that we can TikTok.
You're into TikTok and then my nieces and nephews are totally into TikTok.
And so they wanted to make these bread boat shoes where you cut out like, have you seen them?
Yeah, because it goes, walk a mile.
these shoes and then you put on
funny shoes and walk around. Amy, I'm
sewing to TikTok. So are they
and they're like 15, 16.
Yeah, me too. Yeah.
So we've been looking at TikTok
trying to come up with ideas of things we can do.
I don't know. It should be fun.
Well, happy Thanksgiving everybody from us here on the show.
And again, I would just encourage you to
reach out if you have space for someone
and if you're just, they probably have plans, but you don't know,
reach out. Because I've just been
that person so many times where I'm just at home going,
boy, this stinks.
Not that I would have always gone, but maybe I would have.
And maybe I would just like to feel the love to have someone going,
hey, we'd love to have you.
Let's play Luke Combs, even though I'm leaving.
We come back.
We'll do some tell me something good.
And also, we'll catch up and we'll kick that field goal.
We'll see if Eddie can make the 30-yard field goal.
They're going to the Titans NFL stadium right now.
Tell me something good.
I got a story coming up about a family opening up their home to somebody pretty special.
And I want to bring in a couple stories from our.
show on this too because we have similar stories here. So it's pretty good. The whole segment
coming up next is about positivity and this next family I'm going to talk about is really cool
and maybe they'll inspire you as well. That's next. Tell me something good. Next on the Bobby Bone

Bobby Bones Show.
We are about 10 minutes away from our video producer Eddie trying to kick a 30-yard field goal.
And the whole deal is with this, we were sitting at dinner.
And Eddie says, I could probably do that.
Now, NFLers miss 30-yard ones sometimes.
He's like, I almost walked on in college.
And I was like, hmm.
Are you sure about that?
And at one point, Eddie claimed who's a three-star recruit, which we could never find any evidence of.
But he's going to go out.
And so we made a fun wager.
if he's able to kick a 30-yard field goal,
which means the ball's on the 20 plus the 10 yards of the end zone,
that I will buy all four of his kids' shoes.
And if he doesn't, he has to go hold a sign up that says,
I'm not an athlete on the street and have shaved his eyebrows.
Three lines into the brow.
What was your look of question?
I was just like, yeah, because the field, the yardage or whatever,
you said it's something plus?
It's on the 20-yard line.
Okay.
The end zone is 10 yards.
Okay.
So that's 30 yards.
Gotcha.
Eddie's on right now.
I'm not sure if they're in the car or if they're at the field.
Eddie, are you there?
Hey, Bones, I'm here.
Where are you?
I'm pulling up to the field right now.
I'm just in the zone right now if I sound a little down.
Oh, you do sound down.
I was wondering why do you sound not hyped?
You should be hyped.
Where's your hype, man?
It's kind of like when they show a video of the players showing up to the field, you know,
they got their headphones on, their bows.
Like, that's the way I am right now.
Okay.
So you are dialed in?
Diled in, correct.
Did you stretch here in the studio?
Do you stretch in the car?
What's happening?
I stretch a little bit in the studio, but I'm hoping to run in there real quick and get a couple more stretches because I don't.
I did do some practice kicks last night or yesterday, and I may have pulled something, so I'm a little sore, but I'll stretch it out and I'll do.
Okay.
We'll talk to you in about eight minutes.
All right.
All right.
There is our video producer, Eddie.
I want to go over and talk to Halasay in Illinois.
Is it Halase?
Hi.
Hi.
How are you?
Good.
How are you?
Pretty good.
What do you want to say?
I just wanted to comment on the message.
that you're sending, you know, to invite people to holidays.
I think it's an absolutely great message.
I actually had a coworker last week who had mentioned she didn't have anything to do
for Thanksgiving, and that didn't fit well with me.
So I actually invited her over to one of my Thanksgiving,
because I actually have two that I have to go to tomorrow, and she's actually coming.
So I think it's a great message to send that out because, you know,
I do believe that people should be together on the holidays.
Well, and for me it wasn't a, hey, everyone, do good.
It was a, hey, I'm often the one that's alone on the holiday, and I was appreciate an invite.
So I'm not trying to Mr. Rogers you.
It's a very practical thing where if you just ask people, they're probably going to say no,
but if you do get a yes, then you win.
Everybody wins.
But I think it's a good reminder too of like sometimes as people, we just assume that people have,
it's not even that we're not getting out of our comfort zone to invite somebody that we think might be.
alone, we just assume some people have plans. So if they're, if they come to your mind or you think
maybe they don't, just go ahead and go for it. Worst thing they can say is no. Exactly. Because I mean,
gosh, I just feel horrible assuming some things about people and then learning that they were maybe
going to be alone. Like, that's a bummer. Well, I invited somebody to Amy's Thanksgiving. Well,
it's even my Thanksgiving, but I do feel like I'm close enough to you. I can just invite whoever I want.
100%. And then I told Amy he was coming. She's like, oh, I thought he had somewhere to go. Yeah.
I was like, I know. So not even Thanksgiving, but Christmas or just in just in just,
general to call and check up on somebody sometimes.
And again, I'm not the best example of being accepting of it.
Right.
But it's always appreciated, even if I say no.
Well, that's good to know.
You don't feel appreciated sometimes?
No, but I feel like over the last, I don't know, 14, 15 years, I've invited you to a lot.
But you're like, come to Colorado.
I'm like an airplane.
All right.
I appreciate you guys for hanging out.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
The Waller family of Bell Buckle, Tennessee, did not let the fact that they already had six kids stop them from adopting three more.
Kim and Daniel have always been busy raising their six girls, which by the way, let me just sidebar.
You have six girls?
And no boys.
And I'm saying it's rough, but I'm saying just the odds are one of them is going to be a boy.
Wow.
But they wanted to adopt more because they knew how challenging it was for older kids to find families.
when they learned of three teenage girls
who needed a forever home, they decided to step up.
All nine girls are now working and playing together as family,
the three newest members living in a stable household
for the first time in their lives.
Also, three more girls.
They got nine girls.
They got a girl softball team there.
Yep.
That crazy.
Amy, you also did this, though.
You adopted older children.
Yeah.
And it's definitely, I mean, you, there's challenges that come along with it.
But when you feel it on your heart,
like that's what you're supposed to do.
listen to that because older children do need homes. And it's not for everybody. Sometimes I still
wonder if it's for us. But I know that it's what we were supposed to do. Eddie, you fostered an older
kid. Yeah. I think there's a difference with these like, you know, over 10 years old or whatever.
There's just a lot of, you know, mental baggage that comes with that stuff. And like Amy said,
sometimes we don't know we're doing the right thing. But I just, it's really hard to do and
props to these people for doing it. That's crazy. That's what I'm.
what's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let me know.
We're transmitting across America.
This is the Bobby Bones show.
That's right.
Knock.
Let's go over and check in with Eddie right now,
our video producer, who is at the NFL practice facility of the Tennessee Titans.
Eddie, how are you, bud?
Hey, Bon, some little worries.
We got here.
I've been warming up a little bit, practicing a little bit.
I haven't kicked one straight yet.
Well, so what's happening is Eddie has declared he almost walked on in college as the kicker,
which I love Eddie, great musician, funny guy, not athlete, but he keeps hanging on to the idea that he can convince us all he was an athlete when he was younger.
And so he said, I almost walked on his kicker.
And I was like, yeah, but you never do anything sporty.
And so he's like, no, I can prove it.
So he made a bet today.
He gets two kicks.
He makes either one of them a 30-yard field goal.
I buy all four of his kids' shoes.
Yep.
If he misses both of them, he has to go hold a big sign that says,
I am not an athlete on the street.
Because he's not.
And have the three eyebrow shaves of shame put into his face.
Like three little slashes.
Yeah, yeah.
So lunchbox is going to hold the ball, Eddie, when you kick, right?
Well, I have a holder.
Is that all right?
No, no.
We already said that lunchbox was going to hold it.
I'm worried he's going to do that Charlie Brand shit.
Can you hurt me?
He's not going to.
If he does that, we'll shave off one of his entire eyebrows.
I love it.
So, okay, let me talk to Lunchbox real quick.
I see you're, you know, taking some practice kicks.
But you can't kick at the Phil goal, remember?
I have not done that.
Okay.
Let me talk to Lunchbox.
All right, here's Lunchbox.
Hello.
Okay, so the first thing is you can, you can't pull the ball in any way.
I know you're not going to, but just for his sake, you can't pull the wall like Charlie Brown.
They have the professional, like the NFL kickers practice with, the whole.
We have one of those, so we don't even have to, there's no controversy if I pull my hand or not.
It's a professional holder.
No, no, you're going to hold it because we already said that in the outline of what the bet was going to be.
So you're going to hold the ball.
Eddie's going to kick it.
Just don't pull it.
Okay.
Okay.
Also, Eddie's kicking right now.
I'm watching him on our Facebook live stream, which can go over to, just search Bobby Bone Show when you got to Facebook.
And he's not, right now he's practicing.
How does he look with the practice kicks, Lunchbox?
pathetic.
Oh, he does.
You don't think he may be making it 15 yards,
and we're talking about 15 yards and then 10 yards to the left.
He can't keep it straight at all.
Okay, so if you're betting for or against,
where are you putting your money?
Oh, right now I'm definitely against.
There is no chance.
He wants one more, so what we're going to do is let him take...
He's practicing, here we go, here we go, watch the practice, here he goes.
He runs up, kicks it, and it went about six yards.
Okay, so...
Oh my gosh, wait, his video yesterday's so deceiving because it went through the goal.
Yeah, put Eddie back on real quick.
Eddie, Eddie, we need you on the phone.
He's warming up.
That's okay.
We'll play a song.
We'll come back on the other side of this song.
This is Chris Jansen, good vibes.
On the other side of it, Eddie will kick, okay?
All right, sounds good.
All right. He's warming up right now on Facebook.
Facebook.com slash Bobby Bone Show.
Who he did drill that one.
Let's see if he can make it.
Next.
All right, over to the NFL practice facility where Eddie is taking practice kicks.
I'm watching him now.
He's trying to kick a 30-yard field goal.
Hey, Lunchbox, you should let him practice one with you holding it, though?
We have.
We were practicing during the song.
We were practicing with me holding it.
Oh, how did that go any better?
No.
Oh, okay.
Well.
No, no, no, not even better at all.
Shoot.
Let me have one more word with Eddie.
He was for sure about this.
Again, he almost walked on in college, according to him, because he was such a good kicker.
Hey, Bones.
Yeah, how's it going?
I do.
I think people need to know that I'm 40 years old now.
No, no, no, no, no.
You just had dinner with that.
Eddie, Eddie, hold on.
You can't do that.
At dinner, you said you could still do it easily.
On this show, you said you could still do it easily.
Okay.
No, I want to try my best.
And, I mean, out of the 15 practices, I hit one really good one.
One.
But are you more of a primetime player?
Like when the pressure's on, that's when you perform or no?
Bones, you know me.
Of course I am.
Okay, so you're feeling pretty good about this.
I feel good.
I feel real good.
You feel really good.
Lunchbox said you're doing really bad.
We all know lunchbox exaggerates everything.
Okay.
Okay.
So here's what we'll do.
So Eddie, you get ready.
Put lunchbox down with the ball,
and I'll take Morgan number two,
and I'll talk to her, and she'll be the commentator.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm ready.
All right.
So let's...
Morgan number two.
What's happening?
Oh, I'm commenting?
Yeah, you're going to have to because lunchboxes got to hold the ball.
Okay.
Okay, so is Eddie kicking from the middle of the field?
He's kicking from the 20-yard line.
Right, right, right, right, but from the middle of the, like, in between the hash marks.
Yes, he's right in the middle, like dead set on the field goal marking.
And you've been watching him kick.
Any chance he makes this?
He had about three solid kicks.
Other than that, the rest of the 10 were not good.
Okay, so.
like he's about, he's about to go.
Well, no, don't go yet. We have to set it up on time.
Don't go yet. Don't go yet.
I will give you to go ahead.
He's practicing kicks right now, and I think he's already tired himself out.
Oh, no.
Okay, it's streaming live on Facebook right now, Facebook.com slash Bobby Bone Show.
Is he ready to do the first kick, Morgan number two?
Just ask him.
Are you ready for the first kick?
He's ready.
Morgan number two.
He's ready in his position.
Get behind them, and I'll count to three, and on three, that's when he gets to attempt it.
No earlier, no less, okay?
Okay, Eddie, when I, I'm going to count you down, okay?
And after three, you can go.
Okay?
All right, Bobby, I'm ready when you are.
Okay, so in Morgan number two, you have to give us the description of what's happening.
Okay, I will.
As soon as it's up, you let us know if it's good or not, okay?
Eddie, here's Eddie.
Let me set it up real quick for our listeners.
Eddie promised a dinner at the night he could still kick a 30-yard field goal.
He almost walked down in college, which there was no chance.
But okay.
And so the wager is up right now.
If he makes it, I'll buy all four of his kids' shoes.
If he doesn't, he'll hold the big sign.
This is I'm not an athlete.
And he'll shave three in his eyebrows.
Are we ready, team in the studio?
Ready.
Okay.
Is Eddie ready, Morgan, number two?
He is ready.
He just did his steps counting.
He's good to go.
All right, here we go.
Three?
Three.
Two, one.
Oh, and it didn't even go up in the air.
I went straight on the ground.
Yep, didn't even go in there.
Okay.
Let me talk to him.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay.
Eddie?
Eddie.
Eddie?
Eddie.
Hey, what's up, huh?
Didn't go that good, huh?
No, not very good.
It came off the edge of my foot, went spiraled left.
I mean, it was no chance.
How do you feel going into the second one?
Because you didn't even get that one up.
Now I'm really worried.
I think I have to slow my pace down a little bit.
I think I'm rushing it.
Uh, but I'm ready to give my second shot.
How's your wife going to feel at Thanksgiving dinner when you have three in your eyebrow?
I mean, she's not going to be happy.
She said she wanted to do a Christmas picture at some point.
It's not going to go well.
Well, so I'll ask you, because we did say lunchbox would hold it in the initial bet.
Would you like the holder, the stick to be there?
Oh, I would prefer the holder, yes.
Would you move back two yards for the holder?
Whoa, whoa.
I don't, I don't, if I hit it perfectly, I'm barely going to make it.
just seen the way my practice kicks have gone.
Okay, you can use the stick holder.
You can tell lunchbox to take a break.
Okay, lunchbox, you're taking a break.
I'm going to use this.
Okay.
Can I sit up, bones?
Yeah, give me Morgan number two, and then don't start until I send you on, okay?
Okay.
He gets to use the holder this time, is that correct, Bobby?
This time he does.
Tell him he has the opportunity to go barefoot if he wants to.
Like a lot of kickers feel better barefoot.
Eddie, you have the option to go barefoot as well, Bobby said.
You have the option to go barefoot?
as well.
No?
He shook his head at me and told me to stop it.
Okay, I'm just saying a lot of great kickers kick barefoot.
Okay, so Eddie's going to attempt his...
That's a lot of great kickers to do that.
He's shaking a 30-yard field goal.
This is his last shot here.
He's kicking a 30-yard field goal.
Promised he could do it if you're just turning the radio on.
He has now set it up on the NFLT.
I'm watching him.
Morgan number two, does he feel like he's ready?
You feel like you're ready?
Yeah?
Okay, he's ready.
Okay.
Here we go for all the marbles.
All the marbles.
Our commentator is Morgan number two.
She's standing behind.
Eddie has got a ball on the 20-yard line.
It's the 20 yards plus the 10 through the end zone, a 30-yard field goal.
Here we go.
Morgan number two, are you ready?
I'm ready.
Let's do that.
Studio, are you ready?
Ready.
Here we go.
Three.
Three.
Two.
Two.
One, go.
One.
And it's, oh, for the right.
That one goes on the ground.
Did not even go straight down the center.
No, I did not get it.
He is very disappointed.
Eddie is walking around in circles right now.
He has a very sad, like, a disappointment on his face.
Let me speak to him.
Well, what's up?
O for two, bruh.
Not good.
I know.
What do you think the problem was?
I mean, the leg's just not the way it used to be.
But again, you were kicking on Twitter and Instagram yesterday, nailing them.
I was.
I was.
Maybe I have wore my leg out a little bit yesterday on the warmups, but I don't know.
I want to stay here for the hour and keep trying.
I know I'm going to get better.
If your legs wore out and that's your reason, the worst thing you could do is stay.
Yeah.
Okay, well, come on back.
We got some bets to settle.
Okay, man.
Wow.
Oh, my gosh.
So how are you going to create the lines in his eyebrow?
Like, what kind of razor do you use?
I'll probably get some clippers.
Okay.
We may not do it today.
Okay.
I just didn't know how you, so, it's got to be a specific way
because I feel like the whole eyebrow would just come off.
Yeah, true.
Not really sure.
Okay.
I mean, I know you can because people do it.
Yeah, yeah.
Okay, come on back, guys.
All right, they're there.
Well, we gave it a run.
He wasn't even close.
I watched this like one on Facebook, wasn't even close.
Okay.
Why did he even think he could do that?
I don't know.
Because he brought it up.
This wasn't my bad.
No, but also yesterday is very deceiving.
He posted on Instagram like he was this amazing kicker.
Like, what?
What was he like a foot away from the goal?
It's one of those deep fakes for the football.
Okay, we'll come back.
They'll be in the studio next.
We'll come back in a second.
We'll do that.
Also, we can get a 60-second showdown on too.
Listener wants to hop on.
Yeah.
We can do one of those.
All right.
What are the categories, Mike D?
Bobby Bone Show.
Cartoons and U.S. history.
If you get 10 questions right in 60 seconds, you win $100 cash.
All right, next.
Are you a chance to win some money right now.
Let's go over and talk to Bethany,
in Arkansas who's on the phone.
Bethany, appreciate you for calling.
What's happening with you?
Oh, just on my way to work.
How was everyone there?
We're all doing pretty good.
The guys still aren't back in studio yet.
They were kicking a field goal.
Eddie missed miserably.
Did you hear that segment?
I did.
I was calling for him, though.
We weren't.
To be honest with, we weren't at all
because he was talking a bunch of crap.
I want to give you a chance to win, though.
Would you like to play the 60-second showdown?
Yes, please.
Have you heard it before?
I have.
Okay.
So I'll give you two.
10 questions.
You have to get all them right in 60 seconds.
So that's basically one question per six seconds.
Yes.
You have three categories to choose from since you're first in the pack.
You can pick from the Bobby Bone Show, cartoons, or U.S. history.
Oh.

Okay.

Yeah, she got eight.

But it was Bugs Bunny, right?
It was.
Yeah, you said Elmer Fudd.
I felt like you knew it.
Yes, she did.
I did.
I jumped the gun.
Oh, man.
That's so close.
So close.
And the one that you did not get also,
which character from South Park
always ends up being killed?
I know I was struggled with that one.
You kill Kenny.
Kenny.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
I feel like she just didn't know one of them.
That was a good run, though.
Come on.
Here we go.
Nice.
Now, you did not win the cash, but I'm going to give you a consolation prize, which we don't always do.
But I do have one here for you.
Uh-huh.
So would you like a $100 Walmart gift card?
Oh, my gosh.
Yes, that's fantastic.
Yes, it is.
Wow.
You're going to get a $100.
Walmart gift card and a Walmart photo gift.
Visit Walmart photo for personalized cards and gifts.
It's holiday season.
Whatever it is just about, they can make it with whatever picture on it you want.
Blanket, coffee cup.
I don't know what else they got.
I got a lot of stuff over there, though.
And you can take it.
This Walmart gift card.
I was going to the home office.
Oh, you do.
Look at this.
What?
Yeah.
Walmart dominates Northwest Arkansas.
Okay. Okay.
Listen, you didn't win, but we gave you a consolation prize.
Anything you'd like to say, Bethany?
I enjoy your show.
morning and I'm so thrilled to be able to talk to you this morning.
Well, thank you very much. You just made my day.
Well, and you did, by the way, she did great at the game.
Didn't win, but she did great. All right.
Hang on the phone, okay?
Okay.
Okay.

Get B to the O to the double B Y.
Bobby Bones.
The whole crew is back here.
Hey, Eddie, you missed your philgo.
You missed both of them.
Yeah, I did.
You had a lunchbox shot with your hand.
You had a tea, like one of the kicker teas.
Listeners are saying that I shouldn't have made you do something so dumb and embarrassed you.
What do you mean?
He agreed to it.
No, he brought it up.
Yeah.
What, the kicking thing?
Yeah.
No, I brought it up.
We were at dinner.
And, I mean, it was a true story.
I did.
I was thinking about walking on as a call.
College kicker.
Yeah, but a lot of people
could think about walking on.
Hold on.
Right now, I'm thinking
about being an astronaut.
Oh, yeah, me too.
Well, I was on.
It's crazy.
Guys, I would practice
every single day.
That doesn't mean
that you were asked to walk on.
Oh, I didn't say I was asked
to.
No, he just said he was going to.
No, no, no.
I was never asked to walk on.
Oh, okay.
And he also said there's a three-star recruit.
Correct.
You never even got close.
My point is, you brought it up.
That was all you and then you lost.
Yeah, no, no, no.
This is on me.
And I said I could do it.
And I thought that I could come back after 20 years of not kicking a ball and picking right back up where I left off.
And that wasn't the case.
And I just feel like I let my family down.
Yeah, you did.
You are with those eyebrows.
Here's what we're going to do, though.
We're not going to do it until we come back from Thanksgiving.
You see this big thing on me?
What is that?
No, look up.
That's my heart.
That's my heart.
Yeah.
I'm going to let you go through Thanksgiving.
And then we're going to shave three in your eyebrows after.
And then when we come back.
One eyebrow?
Three lines.
Three lines, one eyebrow.
So stylish, right?
Yeah.
It could be a thing where people are like,
that doesn't look bad.
And then they could start doing it.
I'm hook you up.
Michael, bring in some clippers, Mike D.
And then I have to also do what?
Hold a sign out on the road for an hour.
This is I'm not an athlete.
Hour.
Yeah.
An hour.
Okay.
Do I get potty breaks?
You can hold up for an hour.
So all that coming up, you good on that?
Yeah, I mean, that's what I said.
A man of my word.
Okay.
Dang.
We've got a lot of calls here
If you guys want to hop into you can
87777 Bobby
Thanksgiving is tomorrow
I'll be going over to Amy's
Lunchbox what's happened
Are you carving the turkey
The man at your house or what
Well yeah I'm going to be at my in-laws
And I've decided that this is the year
That I need to take over the turkey carving
From my father-in-law
I've never done it at my in-laws house
But I think now that I have a kid
And I have a kid on the way
I can show him look
I'm just gonna go get it
And I'm gonna say you know what
You're the grandpa now
Let me be the man
And I'm gonna carve the turkey
So he doesn't know it's coming yet.
No, and I think he'll respect it more if I just do it instead of asking,
because then he'll say, man, that dude knows how to take charge of a situation.
So, yeah, and I haven't even run it by my wife.
It's going to be a surprise for everybody.
Oh, wow.
Isn't it a thing where if it's at your house, you carve the turkey?
You don't really go into someone's house and demand to carve the turkey.
Correct.
But I want him to know that if he is gone, that I can take care of the turkey.
Like, he knows that I can handle the turkey and that if he goes,
He doesn't have to worry about, oh, who's going to carve the turkey, you know, can lunch handle it?
I'm sure he would be worried.
That's what he's worried about.
Who's going to carve the turkey?
I do have the story here.
If you could choose one thing, one thing.
What are you most thankful for?
Oh.
Again, anything.
Would you only get one thing?
Okay?
Around the room.
Amy.
Gosh, the first thing that came to my head was my kids.
I know that there's two of them, but they're only...
But you have to pick one.
Okay.
No, I'm just kidding.
I'm just kidding.
You can put your kids.
I know what I would pick about that.
I would be like, I'm thankful for adoption because it made me a mom and it gave them a mom and a dad.
One thing.
Adoption.
Boom.
Done.
I would go with health.
That was my.
Yeah, I think I would go with health.
I'm healthy.
I work with so many people that aren't and I'd try to.
And I haven't always been healthy.
Like when I was a kid, I was in the hospital a bit.
but and I was also
I was talking with a friend we had dinner
in Birmingham the other night
and she had breast cancer
and she's very close to Ramundo's
girl who fought
breast cancer and she was talking about
just working with people and she's like man I don't understand
it just hits people and she's and
it just kind of I'm already very thankful
for my health but talking with her
who had been through it and again
she just got unlucky
that was it she didn't do anything to get it
it's not like she made a decision that had that and it's just the the unlock or luck of the draw
with a lot of the stuff happening and so it was just it kind of repositioned me I'm just very
thankful that I'm healthy and that's my I think it's my number one that's a good one because I mean
it's one that we don't pretty good too oh I know but health I feel like you don't we we it just
because we can walk every day and like we are healthy and can do things we don't really think
that there's a lot of people that...
It's like when you get sick.
Sometimes when you're sick,
you're like,
I just can't wait to be so good again.
Right.
I can't believe I don't appreciate it when I feel good.
And then when you feel good,
you don't think about it anymore.
Right.
But when you're not feeling good,
you're so like, next time I feel good,
I'll be so appreciative.
Right.
And then you get there and you're like,
you don't even think about it.
You get sick again.
That's why I think health is a really good one.
Are you injure yourself
and you can't like work out?
And you're like, on the days you can work out,
you complain about it when you're healthy and you can.
and then when you can't, you're like, oh.
Would it be your kids, Eddie?
I was going to say my whole family.
Just the family.
I mean, I hear you talk about sometimes
and holidays are tough for you.
I know, and again, it's something we take for granted
when you have a good family.
I still have both my parents.
I have my family, you know, my wife and all my kids.
I mean, I'm just blessed with a good family.
So I think that's it.
That's good.
I was thinking about that last night.
One day I'll be there.
Like, I don't have a family member
that I'm really close to.
Like a single family.
member that I would say I'm super close to, which is weird because it's not, and I don't think about it.
I don't feel bad about it, but it just doesn't actually come into my life often.
Yeah.
Like I don't have any close family.
And so, and again, I don't feel sorry for myself, but I don't even think about it really until it's like, man, I can't wait to have a, it's always that positive feeling of, man, one day I'm going to have a close family.
And I was, you know, I saw Kane Brown yesterday. I know he's got a new daughter.
And he's talking about that.
Like he didn't have a dad growing up.
And I was just thinking about him too because I was on the same flight yesterday.
And he's like, man, I'll be the best dad ever.
Like eventually, yeah, I feel the same way.
So it's not like a sad feeling.
It's like one day it's going to be good.
Yeah.
Lunchbox one thing.
Fame.
Excuse me?
Fame.
The fame that it comes with his job and everything we get to do with it.
And people recognize you on the street.
It's just a pretty cool feeling.
Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to be famous.
And I mean, every year I'm just so thankful that I still have this job.
and I'm still famous
and people are still like
asking for autographs and pictures
and it's pretty cool.
More so than your baby?
Yeah, because you can't only pick one
and I got two babies so I got one
on the way so I can't really pick between them.
But I'll let you back up a step.
You can either pick both the baby
you have now and the one that's coming or fame.
I would say fame.
Yeah, because I really, from when I was a kid
I wanted to be famous.
I didn't always want to be a dad.
Yeah.
And I mean, being a dad is cool,
but being famous, I mean, it's really cool.
What about your wife?
My wife is cool too
Where does she come in third?
Probably third.
Maybe, yeah.
She's carrying the second baby right now.
What would be third though?
Like rank them, top five.
Number one is.
Fame.
Okay, number two?
Kids.
Three?
Oh, it might be soccer.
No way.
Like watching or like rec league that you play in?
Oh, rec league that I play in.
I absolutely, I've been playing since I was four years old and I just absolutely love it.
It is my release.
It's so fun.
competitiveness. You've been with soccer longer than your wife.
Exactly. And think about that. Great point.
Yeah. Justifying it.
I guess my wife could slide in at four. She'll slide in at four.
And number five in the power rankings?
Reality TV. Oh.
Was it tough to decide between your wife and reality TV? Yes. Because reality TV,
real world got me started on wanting to be famous.
Because I would watch the real world and I was like, I'm going to be on the real world and then I'll be super famous.
And it didn't work out in that order. But so real, I mean, that got me on the path.
My wife can take over reality TV.
Oh.
Because she's provided me the two kids and reality TV didn't.
She's provided him.
That's interesting.
Hey, hit us up if you want.
Questions, comments.
This is a question you've been wondering forever.
You want to ask it?
Hit us up.
877.
Bobby, we'd love to talk to you.
Okay, so if you could wake up at any time,
this job didn't factor into it,
no job factored into it.
And you could just start work whenever you felt most comfortable.
What time would you wake up?
6.30 or 7?
in the morning. That's my wheelhouse. Like, I feel best when I wake up at that time.
That's, that's solid. It's early. Yeah. What about you? Like 11.
See, no. I don't think I would wake up until after the show was over. I just wouldn't be, I feel
like my day, my morning would be gone. I love mornings to do things. Boy, not me. Sometimes,
you know what I don't love also people who love mornings. Oh, I don't, I'm not a morning person,
I guess. Bon, so what time would you roll into work? If you could, any, any hour?
2.30 or 3? Yeah. And then I'd be over like 7.30 or 8?
My body just is not made for mornings.
And I've been doing morning since I was 22.
So you're talking about 17 years of this, and it hasn't adjusted me one bit.
If I have two days off, I'm out to 11.
I'm done.
But it just shows you, our bodies are built to wake up a certain point of the day.
But you want to stay up until what time at night.
Sun comes up.
I'm opposite.
Yeah.
This job is the worst for my health.
I want to go to bed early.
They say the most successful people wake up at 5.30 a.m.
Just after six and a half hours of sleep and use the time to network, meditate, and check emails.
I believe this. I think they probably don't want to wake up that early, but I think you just do.
How successful people use their time before work. Number one is catching up on emails. Do you do that?
No, do you?
Oh, yeah. First thing I do.
Oh.
And I wake up in the morning.
No, that's why sometimes when I see you in the morning, you're like, do you get my note? I'm like, nope.
Yeah, Amy hasn't even looked at any notes.
Number two is reading the latest news.
Oh, yeah, I mean, I put the news on, do you?
Yeah.
But do you read it or you watch it?
I have the news on my TV.
I have the news on my computer, and then I'm on my phone.
Okay.
That's the first 20 or 30 minutes of my day.
Wow.
We'll have to do the show and somewhat be knowledgeable.
I put friends on.
Because Joey makes me laugh and like I want to be in like a laughful laughter type mood when I come to work.
And the number three thing people do is scheduling the day.
Okay.
I don't, I know.
You do that like a month in advance.
That's true.
So I'm usually looking over the schedule for the day, but those are the top three things.
Speaking of the day, what's going on with you today?
Nothing really besides getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Tomorrow.
Yeah.
Big party at Amy's house.
Yes, so I feel like there's a lot to do, but I'm just more family time, which I'm totally enjoying.
Like, I wish my sister and her kids and her husband, they would just move in with us.
That'd be so fun.
What are you doing?
A lot today, like personal catch-up stuff.
Going to therapy today.
Oh, cool.
Like a pre- Thanksgiving therapy.
Awesome.
You can bring some of that knowledge to the table.
It's not holiday themed. Whatever.
I go on in a pilgrim outfit.
I'd really like to talk about what happened here.
So I have that today.
I'm going to a Christmas lights thing tonight.
Oh, are you going to glow?
Yeah.
We are too, I think.
Well, that'll be awkward.
Are you going on a date?
Don't ignore a lunchbox box.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
He's going on a date.
He doesn't want us to see him.
Oh, I don't care if you see me.
Stevenson's going to be like, Bobby, Bobby, Bobby.
He can see me.
And Bobby's going to be like, I don't see y'all.
He runs the other way.
I would never do that to you.
Mom, why is Bobby ignoring us?
I would never do that.
I may go swim today at the Y.
Oh.
Yeah.
Either that, unless your husband wants to go play racquetball, I should hit him up.
Was he in town?
Yeah, he's here.
And they've been going to the Y because my nieces and nephews have to
practice basketball season.
Oh, I should just let him do that then.
Oh, well, he doesn't play, I mean, he doesn't play basketball,
but they've been going the Y and he does whatever.
I'm just saying they're already at the Y, most likely.
So, yeah, let him.
Maybe you can.
Okay.
I'll just go swim.
Okay.
We're all good.
Okay.
Okay, that's it.
We'll see you guys.
Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow.
I'll be at Amy's house.
And dinner time 2 p.m.
Yep.
But you get there at like noon.
Now I'm going to do the opposite.
I'm going to show up at like 201.
Perfect.
By the way, that's really late to me.
As you can tell, I struggle.
Really late.
I struggle with even going to go in 201.
Hang out.
How long are you going to hang out?
Not very long.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm going to eat and probably a little ketchup and then Irish goodbye.
Okay, cool.
Which is a slide out.
Thank you guys.
Have a great Thanksgiving.
We'll see you on the other side.
Bye, everybody.
