On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick and Poll show are Genius.
We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things that we don't necessarily understand.
Better version of Play Stupid Games, win Stupid prizes.
Yes.
Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time.
I actually thought it was.
I got that wrong.
But hey, no one's perfect.
We're pretty close, though.
Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Come on, Bobby.
What's up, everybody?
Morning Studio.
Morning.
All right.
Let's go around the room.
Give me the news story that tickles your pickle the most.
Eddie, go.
So American astronaut Frank Rubio has just set a record for being the man in space
who was spent longer than 355 days out there.
So what's the goal?
The last person, I mean, no, he's just trying to get back.
He's not trying to set a record.
Oh, he's not.
I thought he was like doing some sort of hands on a Harley competition.
No, he went to the International Space Station and his ride back,
there was like a Russian spaceship just broke down.
So he got stuck out there.
His ride chair didn't show up?
Yeah, and they said he's going to have to wait until September 27th.
That's when his ride picks him up.
But on top of that, he broke a record.
They have to send another car to get him?
Yeah.
In space?
That's crazy.
It's not like the cab, like the next cab that comes down.
I hear you, but it's like, do they have a bunch of food?
But you can only put so much food out and up there because I'm sure the weight, that's scary.
Food, oxygen, whatever.
Did you ever see the black mirror on the space station?
No.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, gosh.
Is that the one where they would-
Don't say so much.
Amy? Because you know.
Okay, yes.
Aaron Paul's in it from Breaking Bad?
Yes.
It's really good.
That one was really interesting.
Black Mirror never goes well, Eddie.
I guess you haven't seen the show.
It's true.
Okay, lunchbox, what do you got?
We're going back to Vegas, guys.
I've been reading more about this cyber attack.
And so people that even stayed there a month ago,
the hackers now have access to their credit cards.
And so they get their credit card number and they do a little charge.
And it shows up as like whatever hotel,
Excalibur, Aria, Luxor.
And if it goes through, then they start charging $1,000.
thousands of dollars their credit cards.
Boy, these rushes getting worse.
I did a show at Virgin,
which I don't believe his own by them.
No.
That's not Excalibur.
No.
He plays Excalibur.
No, this is...
I know.
He always lead with Excalibur.
Here's another one.
Go ahead.
Someone says, we're staying at the Luxor,
and they only gave us one key when checking in.
We lost it at the pool,
and they're not able to reissue with a key.
So every time we want to go to the room,
we have to get a security guard to escort us to our room.
Key gone, sorry.
Every room's got a bolt on it now.
like bolt and they give them a new little key.
The lights are controlled.
And so they have to turn off the lights when they're told and when they're not told.
And the employees, they have walkie-talkies in the elevator to signal if there's any trouble with the elevator.
Hey, I'm stuck on this floor.
And housekeeping said, they don't have any idea who's in what room.
You just go into any room.
It's mayhem.
I did see where they were some of the social media sites weren't showing some of the stuff.
Like they were suppressing it.
That's scary.
Vegas Starfish on
I'm a big fan of Vegas Starfish
On Twitter she has all these DMs
With people from Vegas
I mean this is
That's great
It is a crazy story
The Russians hacked
That entire operation
And now they're waiting for their money
Because they got their money
From the other group
This is crazier than Ocean's 11
I don't know
Whenever they try to make Julia Roberts
Play the role of Julia Roberts
That was pretty stupid
That's the craziest thing I've ever seen
You like that
You know where they're like
Hey you should act like you should act
You should act like
That's crazy than this
She was famous.
That's crazy one of this.
Okay, Amy.
Lyft has responded to requests from regular users,
and they've added a new feature that allows writers to choose the gender of their driver.
And I didn't know, Lyft added it, but I don't know that I've ever noticed that on my Uber when I'm using it, but that's awesome.
Unless you're like a dude and you're like, I'd like a woman.
Oh.
I was thinking as a woman.
I just want a woman.
I understand that, but if you're a dude and you're like, I'm ready to attack.
Bring me a woman.
I don't think about that, but I don't see.
As the...
Me either, me either.
I don't know how to you.
As the Uber driver, can you say
I only want to drive women?
I don't know what the rules are here.
Because then can you say
I only want to drive straight people or gay people?
And then I only want to drive black people or white people?
Oh.
You know, it's a slippery slope.
Good point.
Maybe you just let women choose.
They're the only ones who can choose.
Yes.
And then we don't let idiot guys do it for anything else.
It's only women and you can only choose man or woman.
That's it.
That's what I would do about it.
No more.
God.
And I make every driver left Uber
promised they wouldn't be an attack.
And if they promise me, I'd be like, let's go.
You got to believe it.
Go pick people up.
Let's get it.
Let's get it on.
All right, here's my story.
So they did announce the Dancing with the Stars cast for this season a couple
days ago.
It triggers me a little bit because they always bash me every time there's an article
because they were talking about the new season and Charna, my old partner did not get
to bite it back.
It had nothing to do with me, but she was surprised she didn't get invited back.
I think she got invited last year and she wasn't able to go because she had a kid,
but the kid she didn't feel like was old enough really for her to leave yet.
I don't know the drama there.
But anytime there's an article, they're like, because of the shocking win of Bobby Bones,
and they had to change the rules and people were outraged.
The only people outraged were like the hardcore fans of that show.
Because I, we won that show based on an overwhelming vote, the biggest margin in the history of that show.
So it's not like the majority of people were outraged.
But they always take shots at me every time in the article.
Can you believe you want?
Guys, move on, five years ago.
I don't even talk about it really that much.
That being said, I have the cast here.
I'll give you the celebrity.
You tell me what they're famous for.
Uh-oh.
Oh, more.
And some of them are very easy,
because they're actually famous.
But imagine, though, you don't know anything about me and you hear Bobby Bone.
Some sort of pirates on the show or something.
Yeah, yeah, or a dirty movie star.
Yeah, yes.
Yeah, it's not like I'm famous.
Okay, Amy, Jason Maraz.
Oh, singer.
Singer, correct.
This is our fake.
I'm your...
Lunchbox, Jamie Lynn Spears.
I guess she's an actress.

Oh, she's in Steel Magnolius.

And she was on that U.S. Special Forces, like, see if you can survive show.
Also, Brittany's sister.
Okay.
Eddie, Adrian Peterson.
Adrian Peterson, football player.
NFL, also.
Good.
Oh, okay.
That's not the guy that.
Okay, that's Southern Peterson.
That's Lacey.
From prison?
Scott's going to be doing it in his cell or what?
They let him go dance.
Amy, Ariana Maddox.
Oh, Ariana?
Ariana Maddox.
Male or female?
Vanderpumpurles.
Okay, that's her.
No clue.
38 years old.
Lunchbox, Barry Williams.
Oh, Barry Williams is from Storage Wars.
That's Greg Brady from the Brady Bunch.
Ah.
Who's 68 now.
Oh, wow.
Oh, okay.
He was the older brother.

Marvel Star.

Yeah, but I think it's a pretty good lineup, though, because there were some actual
really famous people there. That sounds great.
So Dancing on Stars premieres Tuesday, September
26. Is that next week?
Back on ABC as well.
You get on the one season and it's only on Disney
Plus. That was a mess. That's tough.
That would have been tough, yeah.
It's time to open the mailbag.
You send an email and
we read it all the air. It's something
we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Yeah. Hello.
Bobby Bones.
I noticed that my boyfriend recently started following this girl on Instagram.
I looked at her page.
I can't figure out how he would know her.
Without coming right out and asking directly,
I asked him if anyone knew started at his work.
And he said no.
I want to know who the girl is,
but I don't want my boyfriend to think I'm jealous or stalking him online.
Should I just come out and ask or should I just not worry about it and trust him?
Signed.
Instagram Investigator.
Well, two parts.
One, if you want to know, just ask.
It's going to save everybody a lot of trouble, time, irritation, resentment, jealousy, some of it which is needed some.
Just ask, just ask the question.
Hey, who's a new girl who you're following?
Don't even make it weird.
And if you don't want to do that, then you just shut up about it.
But what if you ask, like, what are you talking about?
How do you know?
Like, are you stalking me?
Then that, well.
Then it gets.
Then that's when you start to make decisions based on answers.
Come on.
No, not come on.
I thought you had a plan.
So if I say, if you're my girlfriend, right?
Yeah.
And I say, hey, who is this?
new girl you're following.
Which one?
If I get an answer like that.
Yeah, yeah, which one?
I'm probably going to go,
ooh, he's hiding something.
But if I get an answer like, yeah, her name's Beth.
Oh, oh, Beth?
Yeah, don't get on them.
It's okay to ask them.
What if it's an accidental follow?
Could be.
I've done that before.
Me too.
Well, all of a sudden I'm following.
Yeah, well, what were you doing on the page, though?
Well, I'm following, I don't know.
I don't know what's on the Tide with Bleach page, Eddie?
Sometimes it's suggested for you.
Yeah.
What did you say?
Why was on the Tide with Bleach page?
All of a sudden I'm following them on Instagram.
They're absolute accidental follows.
I'd be like, why am I following Tide with Bleach?
Yeah, yeah.
So, yes, you do hit that button sometimes.
Oh, were you thinking like a girl?
Mine's like, we're probably, oh, no.
Yeah, if you followed Beth, you're like,
well, what were you doing on her page?
You accidentally clicked her follow button.
You can also do it in that little square on the feed that says suggested for you.
Okay.
Yeah.
Just checking, guys.
I think that's how I follow tied with bleach.
I'm being honest.
Did you really follow the time with bleach?
And I was like, did they buy advertisement where they're now a follow?
and then I realized I probably pushed follow by accident.
That's funny.
Yeah, I don't know why.
Just ask them.
It just saves everybody time.
And if you are kind of jealous,
then it's good that he kind of knows this now
because eventually it's going to revert its head anyway.
Yeah, being direct as possible about it
because it's only going to leave you with all these thoughts spinning in your brain
and just get it out there.
And you can just be honest.
Like, yes, yeah, I was on your Instagram and noticed you have a new person.
Yeah, I wouldn't do it like Amy says it right there,
where you're stumbling through it.
Or you can guess his password and log into his account.
his DMs.
Yeah, that would work.
That would work.
I wouldn't recommend it, but just ask him.
A, B, C, get to C.
That way you can get back to A.
The end.
Close up to mail back.
We got your email and we let these mail bag.
We have a bop it, hit it, twist it.
We have it for Dan and Shea today.
We'll have a bop it competition later on.
They're going to be in studio.
So Dan and Shay, they have a new record out today,
and they will both be here.
And I just spent an hour with them where we talked about
a lot of the really difficult stuff.
It was on the Bobbycast.
And so just talking about how they almost broke up.
Like it took for them to get kind of rock bottom in their relationship to rebuild it back up to where it is today.
So Dan and Shay talking about breaking up and in studio later today.
I remember watching the drive, the social media document, whatever you want to call it, content.
I text Dan.
I was like, hey man, that was awesome.
But that was uncomfortable in the best way.
So I guess my lead into that is you guys were going through a lot.
You decided to share it a lot with each other.
Why did you decide to share that then and why was it important to put that out there?
That was a powerful piece, but it was. It was true. It was honest. It was genuine.
That moment, that night we talked about, you know, my house and what was it, March,
20, 22 or whatever. That was the most pivotal moment in Dan and Shea's career.
For 10 years, you know, life gets in the way. When you're going so hard, you know how we were working hard and we started out 150 shows a year.
You're on the road constantly. And if you're not going out of your way to work on that relationship,
especially in a duo. A duo is such a difficult configuration.
I mean, historically, a lot of duos fall apart because it's 50-50.
I think it's harder than a marriage.
It's like it's equal split and you're on public display at all times.
And if you're not being open with each other and going out of your way, being proactive
with communication, things can fall apart.
You know, there was nothing, people were like, so was there like a specific incident or was there
a fight?
There really wasn't.
And we've said that before, too, that there, maybe that was the problem that there wasn't
a fight.
We weren't communicating.
You know, if something was bothering us or, you know, I was being an idiot or whatever
Shay was doing something, we weren't speaking about it in real time.
and we were just like letting things fester.
No, I mean, I hadn't talked to him, you know.
Yeah, that's right.
This was a, it was kind of a conversation I had kind of knew his kind.
I knew he, you know, kind of how he felt of like I knew his burnout.
I didn't know the extent of what was going on.
But he texted me and was like, hey man, you want to come over tonight?
And I was like, okay, he wants to talk about something.
I thought it was like, this is going to be kind of it.
Honestly, in my heart of hearts, I was like, I think that this might be the end of our band.
I told my wife, I was like, I'm going to meet with Dan and I, and we,
didn't really talk about it.
We both kind of look at each other like, I think I'm going to go in my band with my best friend
that I haven't been close with in several years.
It was just kind of this whole understood like this.
We'll deal with this one.
We'll deal with the wreckage when I get back, you know?
And I just remember driving over there just like sweaty palms being like, dude, this is,
this is heavy.
But I was like, man, this is like the last 10 years of my life is about to end, you know,
and this is about, we're about to, you know, whatever.
And I get there and it was just like this, you know, what's up, dude, you know?
and I remember we sat there
and Dan just starts to apologize
for like the last 10 years
that prompted me to apologize for stuff
and you know that's the long and short of it
we sat there until I think I got over there
like maybe I don't know 730
after I put the kids to bed I went over there
we stayed up and talked to like three in the morning
and just hashed through all of these things
and a lot of that was like all right
we need to really appreciate like what we've gotten to do
whether we continue to do this band
it wasn't like we were dancing around
the fact that we both were kind of feeling like,
we don't know if we're going to do this anymore.
But it was like, man, let's ride off into the sunset.
Either way, let's, Dan and Shay is always going to be,
was something that Dan said.
He was like, we're always going to be a tattoo on somebody's arm,
always going to be a first dance song.
And I was like, that's great.
I remember, like, because this was kind of after we had had our, like,
really heavy talk, you know,
and we had kind of gotten the tears out and all that kind of stuff.
And I remember, like, watching him, like, grab his phone
and type in that title, you know?
And I was like, that's a great title.
And it was just an incredible night, man.
It's like, it was, man.
A lot of tears were shed and a lot of stuff was really figured out.
And it wasn't like we figured out all of our problems.
But acknowledging that it mattered enough to both of us that we would try.
To hear that full interview, go search for the Bobbycast on IHart Radio.
But later on today, the Bopit Championship.
See, we go from that to Boppet Championship.
We have big range here.
It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie.
Jackson Burns is four years old.
He lives in Apex, North Carolina, and Friday is his favorite day of the week.
Why?
Because the trash truck comes.
And he waits outside.
He watches the garbage truck come, pick up the trash, throw it in the bag.
He's like, yes, these things are awesome.
So when his birthday came around, his mom was like, you know what?
I want to post on the neighborhood page or whatever.
Let people know it's his birthday.
They want to come to his party.
They can do that.
So she posts it.
All the neighbors say, you know it would be much better.
If we get garbage trucks to come, the police to come, fire trucks.
and all this stuff because he loves big trucks.
And so sure enough, when his birthday came around, there come the garbage trucks.
And they gave him gifts.
They gave him a backpack, a hat.
Even the police even gave him his own badge.
That's pretty cool.
The garbage trucks are cool.
Except for if you get behind a dump truck or a garbage truck, they throw pebbles.
And it's crazy.
They smell so bad.
Oh, yeah.
That's just part of it.
Yeah, it's a stinky birthday party.
That kid don't care, though.
You don't care.
That's awesome.
They all did that.
That's a great story.
That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
A win is a one.
win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the fourth.

On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hobriant,
I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take
control of your money.
What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people
when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth,
starting with the mindset shifts too many of us were never, ever taught.
Financial education is not always about, like, I'm going to get rich.
That's great.
It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself
and leave a strong financial legacy for your family.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money,

We talk trade requests.
What's the vibe of that when it's like your star player is like,
well, I want to leave?
And then actually now I'm going to stay.
We talk tanking.
I mean, honestly, like, I might get in trouble for this answer,
but I think it's like,
definitely happening in the WBA.
And yeah, we talk about our mistakes, too.
They pulled me to their side and was like, hey, man,
we got a call last night, man.
You can't be rolling around the city like this tonight before games,
no, you know, doing this, doing whatever.
And of course, family stories.
And we're like, Mommy, why did you miss that?

All right, here is Dallas who called us last night.
Hi, the Bobbittown show.
I was on the other day that my school library has Stanley the Bulldogs' first day of school.
Oh, that's cool.
The kid's book that I wrote about not worrying so much about fitting in and being yourself.
It's called Stanley the Bulldogs' First Day at School.
I did not know that libraries were putting it in there.
It's in my kids.
library. Really? Yeah. Did you donate it?
No? No. No, dude, that's a...
You donated to the last one.
Stop. You did.
All of a sudden, the listener found a book at like
a resale shop that had a note to Eddie in it.
He signed it. Dear Eddie, my best friend,
thank you for everything. You mean so much. Eddie
donated it. I didn't donate it.
That's dirty dog. I forgot about that. I'm mad again.
All right. And then here's a voicemail.
I was wondering, I'm
on an app called Seat Geek
and Pickett showed up for
your show on Friday in Virginia Beach.
I was wondering the legitimacy
behind that app
and if I should buy the tickets
or not, thanks, let me know.
I'm sure those are real
they're resale tickets though so that's people
bought, that show I sold out tonight in Virginia Beach
so people have bought the tickets and now they're
reselling them. It's up to you to
buy them from a resale site.
That is a real site. See, Geek is good.
I'll buy tickets from them but I don't know
how much they're, I don't know if it's worth it because people are
buying it for like 500 bucks a piece. I'm telling you guys
it ain't worth that.
But I'm just saying, come to D.C.
That's tomorrow night.
But I'm sure the seats are legitimate.
It just depends if you're going to pay the money.
And I'm glad you clarified seat geek because I heard feet freak.
You know that site?
I thought that your tickets were on feedfreak.com.
Maybe there's a different tickets.
All right.
So tonight, Virginia Beach, tomorrow, Washington, D.C.
There are some Sandler Performing Arts Center tickets up there.
It looks like two.
Yeah. Some of these are just, I think, I don't know, I'm not even guessing. Go do what you want to do.
Here's Amy's pile of stories. Google says how-to searches are more popular than ever, and they released a report on the top, how-to searches.
You can fix pretty much anything if you go to Google or YouTube and look it up.
That's right. And you have a little bit of patience. I believe every surgery.
You need emergency surgery? I bet you could.
You could probably at least go and do something to patch it up until you got to the hospital.
You're right.
It's crazy how much information is up there.
Go ahead.
So these are top highlights of how tos.
How to pronounce things.
Oh, that's good.
Because I often don't know how to pronounce things
if I've never heard it before.
A lot of people are searching how to help anxiety.
How to be better.
Mark Carter.
That's a hard one.
Pills.
How to be a man.
Pills.
Blue ones.
How to be a player?
Blue pills, same.
What?
How to make money.
These are the top ones.
Sell pills.
It's all pills, guys.
I know the answer to all these.
Next to that one is how to make rice, which I feel that.
Somehow I've been making rice forever, but I have to Google it.
I don't know why I can't ever just fit it right.
There's no pill for rice?
I don't think so.
And there's a pill for everything.
Big Pharma's got us all the lockdown.
But how to be a man.
So you Google that?
Yeah.
It's one of the top how to be questions.
Okay.
That's surgery.
Hey, no.
Is that not what it means?
I don't think.
I don't know.
Eddie, if I said, how do I be a man, would you say?
What, how to be, I don't know?
Like, you're just a man, I don't know.
Lunchbox?
Drink.
Okay.
Do some outdoor stuff.
Got it.
Don't use your lufa.
Mm-hmm.
I don't do, I don't really don't do any of that.
Exactly not what I'm saying.
Like, Bobby.
So what would you say?
I would say, I think.
Play sports?
To be a man.
Both a man and a woman can be a man.
There you go.
Okay.
because I think it's just whatever that saying is go be a man.
I think that's just being true to yourself, being authentic, being courageous.
But I don't think man has to have a wiener.
Well, yeah, it's interesting you say that because the next how to be question that's most Google is how to be yourself.
Then we get into how to fix a relationship and there's a whole section on relationships.
Get out of that one. You're done. Religious is over.
An airport worker says that this one mistake could lead to your luggage getting lost,
and that mistake is leaving old travel tags from previous trips on your bag.
Sometimes it's a sticker.
Sometimes it's those little things that, you know, tape on there.
The little barcodes, too, because you have to do the bag yourself,
and then there's a little bitty code.
You got to also stick on there.
And so you just try to pill the other ones off.
They told me that when I was there because I had like six of them on there.
They were like, which one is it?
I don't know.
I'd never take them off.
I don't know which one's which, but they said they can be confused if you do that.
Yeah, this guy was talking about it on TikTok telling everyone that, like, this is one of the most common ways that it happens.
And I'm like, oh, shoot.
Do an air tag in your bag, too, if you have air tags.
So you can also take them out of things and put them in other things.
And when we travel, especially with carry-ons, we put them in our bags so we can make sure the bags are with us.
But once a long time ago, a bag got lost, we tracked it to the Miami airport.
We're like, it's here, and they send it back to us.
That's crazy.
Crazy.
Half of America is getting a Reba McIntyre Corn maze this weekend.
Half of America?
You mean half.
Well, in 24 different states.
Got it.
I thought there was one that covered all 20, like 25 states.
I was like, that is a heck of a corn maze.
No, there's 40 corn mazes, and it's all to promote her new book that's coming out next month called Not That Fancy.
And you can hit up The maze.com, but it's M-A-I-Z-E to find locations, maybe see pictures.
And they start opening it up tomorrow.
It's something you can do with family, friends.
And Reba said, three things I love.
farming family friends and this includes all of them.
I've never been in a corn maze before.
Oh, they're fun, dude.
Is it a real maze?
Like, you get in there and get lost, can you die?
No one will ever find you?
No.
See, that's what I want to do.
I want like a life or death one.
Take an air tag.
Yeah, no, I want the opportunity to die.
He wants to die.
Like, I want to really...
Okay.
All right, is that it?
Yeah, but maybe.
That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Stay home there's something good.
James Kean has been driving school buses in Kentucky for
About 10 years.
Well, one Saturday a couple weeks ago, he walks into a circle case, says,
oh, give me one of those powerball tickets.
And it prints it out.
He goes home.
That night, he watches the lottery.
Oh, one ball.
Oh, two balls.
That's crazy.
Oh, my goodness.
I think I just won $100,000.
And he checks the next morning to double check it.
And it's right.
So Monday morning, he calls his boss and says, hey, guess what?
I'm retired
And him and his wife went and got the money
And they're going to buy a house on the lake
And helps them kittens be rescued
That's awesome
It's pretty close to retiring anyway
That just kind of pushed him over
Where do the kittens come from?
He's going to donate
He likes to support local organizations
To help kittens
Okay
I like kittens
That's cool
So he's a cat guy
Helps you kittens
A little strain
That's awesome
That's awesome, good story
That is what it's all about
That was tell me something good
A win
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.
