Starting point is 00:02:07 Dot E-D-U slash military. It's a big show because Rieba will be on later today. But let me say to all my friends here. Morning studio. Morning! All right, let's start with this. Lunchbox is bringing this and it has to do with three-year-olds and a trophy. What happened?
Starting point is 00:02:33 So my son played soccer for the first time and I was the coach. And at the end of the season, they gave us the option to order trophies. I didn't even ask the other parents. I just said, no, we don't want the trophies. You know, I said, no, we only won one game. We don't need to have trophies. They're three years old. How many games you play?
Starting point is 00:02:50 Seven. And we were terrible. We got... But they're three, right? Yeah, yeah, we got crushed every game. I mean, like 25 to nothing. Oh, wow. It was bad.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Is that a coaching issue, you think? No, it was a kid issue because, I mean, sometimes you're supposed to have five kids on the field. We'd have two. But why would you only have two? Oh, they just run off. They just run off. Bye. But the other team's kids wouldn't run off?
Starting point is 00:03:13 Nah, they got good coaches. Yeah, that tells us. Yeah, sounds like a coach. Couldn't understand how they kept the kids on the field, but they did. So the season's been over for a few weeks now, and all of a sudden the group text blows up. And I get, uh, can you explain why our kids didn't receive trophies when the season ended? Next parents.
Starting point is 00:03:32 There were trophies available? Who decided not to give our kids trophies? So I guess they had talked to a parent from another team. I guess they're friends with them and they were over with their, house and they saw the trophy and it got it going. And I'm like, guys, is it really that big a deal that three-year-olds didn't get trophies? What was your response though, really? I said, hey, I didn't think three-year-olds needed trophies. That was it. Got them. Did you say we only won one game? I said, we won one game. They're not going to remember this season. Like, it was a bad season. Do you really want a
Starting point is 00:04:00 trophy for a bad season? And people were like, well, I think we should have taken a team vote. And I'm just like, really? It's three-year-olds. Do they really need trophies? Did anyone side with you? A couple parents. What do you think the number was if you were breaking it down? It was probably seven for the trophies, three for not. Trophies. It's a 30% approval rating for your coaching, basically. Okay, yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 00:04:20 Yeah, yeah. How do we feel about this? Three-year-olds and trophies? I don't think this is a participation trophy because I don't think they're going to remember participating in this, nor will they even understand. Like, I think it'll be shiny. I think it's for the parents want a trophy for them.
Starting point is 00:04:36 I think this is a parent thing. Like the parents want that trophy. Should you get on the trophies? Probably if the other teams are. I didn't. And I don't think, I think that's why it's not a participation trophy. I think that's just the parents and the kids want a souvenir from the season more than a trophy to be rewarded for the games played. Right.
Starting point is 00:04:57 And I don't think every team deserve the same trophy. The team that won first place probably should have got a trophy. We could have probably got ribbons, maybe. Don't look at it as a trophy for an accomplishment. Look at it as a souvenir. Like you want on a vacation and you got a little knick-knack. And you took it with you to remember it. Yeah, I think if you look at it like that, that's probably the reason you should have got the trophies to say, we played, we competed.
Starting point is 00:05:23 We showed up. And I don't think they're learning that you get a trophy for participating so much at three. I think they're just like, wow, this is what I got. Because I think at the end of every year, then they're going to be like, oh, we need a trophy. Where's our trophy? Well, I mean, that's a problem with culture now. Yes. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:37 But I don't have a problem with participation trophies. up until like nine or ten. Like five and six, who cares? You don't even really playing anyway. Like, everybody wins. Everybody wins at five or six. I guess, unless it's your soccer team, then they go. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Team snacks, it was bad. Yeah, I think probably, it's just a perspective thing. I think you should have got a participation souvenir so everybody could remember their first ever soccer season. So are you going to go back now and order them? No, no, no, no. Oh, so it's over. It's over.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Like, if you want to go to the store and go to Goodwill and buy a trophy, go ahead. but I'm not going to go buy trophies now. Yeah, I don't think the trophy is awarding them for a winning season or for awarding them for anything, but it's a souvenir of a season, your first ever soccer's thing. That's what I think. Eddie, your thoughts? Let me tell you, my three-year-old was on the same league, and we got the trophy, and when he got the trophy, he was gleaming.
Starting point is 00:06:27 He was so proud of what he got. I don't think he knew what the trophy was or why he got it. And guess where it's sitting right by his bed. And he put it there, and it's never left there. And to me, I'm thinking, this is going to be. to be his first trophy of many trophies. And I think this is what's going to set him up in his life to be like,
Starting point is 00:06:45 that's what I want every season. I want a trophy just like that. So when it does become real competition, he's like, I'm going to fight for a trophy. Did they win any games? Their team? They probably went about half and half, 500. Oh, so you better? Oh, they were way better than lunchboxes team. Yeah, did you ever see him like coaching? We
Starting point is 00:07:01 would pass each other. We never had games at the same time and our team's never played, but I would see his team come in while our team was leaving. And were you guys like the ones when they got off the bunch, like, dang, they're big and fast. And his were like... I always saw lunchbox just kind of saying, like, no, no, no, guys, come up. Over here, guys.
Starting point is 00:07:16 No, no, no. Jimmy, over here. Come on. Come this way. A lot of that and not a lot of good coaching. Hurting cats. It was hurting cats. I mean, one goes one way.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I mean, two of them are playing chase on the field. And I'm like, guys, I mean, it was so frustrating. Is that your rec team or is that your coaching kids? That's my coaching kids team. No, my rec team. We're getting crushed. We're 0-3 this season. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Yeah. Amy, quickly, your thoughts from home. By the way, it's at home again today. Amy, your thoughts. Yeah, I mean, I don't really think that a three-year-old cares about a trophy, but Eddie is winning me over with his kid thinking that it's so awesome. It's a souvenir for the season, more than it's a trophy for a great season or exemplary play. Like I said, he doesn't know if he really won the championship or not.
Starting point is 00:07:58 So I side with the parents, but not for the same reason, probably. I think you should have done trophies. But now, you know, are you going to coach next year? Yeah, I think I'm signing up again. Oh, God. Try to win one. Hey, just a reminder, you can send us an email at any time. Ask for our advice. Ask us a question. It's how we get our emails for the mailbag. Morgan, what's the email address?
Starting point is 00:08:18 Mailbag at bobbybones.com. All right, let's open it up. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Bobby, help. Am I the Karen of the neighborhood? My husband and I just moved into our new home. We love our pool, but it's also a point of contention with my neighbors. Apparently the previous owners had an open pool policy. The other night, we woke up to find five kids having a blast in our pool. When my husband asked them what they were doing, they told us their parents, told them they could come swim. He asked them to leave nicely. But then another day, they came back with their mom. At this point,
Starting point is 00:08:51 I've run out of nice things to say. And I said, hey, I'm sorry. I've asked politely, I need you to leave. This is private property. You're not welcome without an invitation from myself or my husband. She then proceeds to tell her kids that Ms. Karen does not want to be a nice neighbor. That day, my husband and I changed the locks on our gates. And with that, we don't have any more unwanted guests. Or so we thought, one of the teenagers jumps the fence and opens the gay from the inside and they're adults with them. Am I being a Karen? Are we being unreasonable? Is it too much to ask to know who is at our house and when? What can I do? Signed, the possible Karen. You are in no way a Karen. It is your house. I cannot believe people would
Starting point is 00:09:31 have the nads for all, women and men. Crazy. To come over. and get in a pool at somebody's house, it ain't their house. And if the last neighbors had an open pool policy, you know what? Those are the last neighbors. That ain't you? That blows my mind
Starting point is 00:09:49 that they think they can come over to a new homeowner and just hop in their pool. And the parents, like I would understand. If kids came over and they're used to it and they're like, let's just do it until we're told no.
Starting point is 00:10:00 But the mom is there and then she calls you Miss Karen when you're like, hey, it's also a privacy thing and a security thing. Yeah, definitely. If something bad were to happen in that pool, guess who's liable? Yes, and an insurance thing. I'm just talking about them seeing the house. Maybe if you're not home, the door's unlocked, or they figure out a way to get, it's just not a safe situation for anyone involved. You are not a Karen. You should change the locks on the gates. It's an unfortunate situation because now there's not a good relationship between the neighbors, but that's because of them. That is their fault. You're fine and dandy in my book, and I would have done the same thing. Or I'd let Stanley out. And he's not mean, but he will run, he's like, Kool-Aid man.
Starting point is 00:10:39 He runs through things because he's still loving. Those kids would have been bowling pins, and he'd have been like straight, ooh, who, ooh, ooh. You're all good. So I agree with you. I would have done that too. I appreciate you emailing, but this is open and shut. You are right.
Starting point is 00:10:52 They are wrong. They are bad neighbors. That's it. Into this segment. All right, thank you for emailing. Let's close up to mailbag. We've got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag.
Starting point is 00:11:06 It's Fun Fact Friday, and with a fun fact, our listener, John, from Brisbane, Australia. Morning, Bobby. I had an interesting fact for you today. Did you know why they invented the baby on board signs for cars? It was actually invented so the rescue team knew to look for a baby before they gave aid to the driver. Enjoy your Friday. It's pretty good. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:11:33 Wow. And that's a lot of fun. Fun fact, Frank. Right around the room, we got five fun facts for you. This is not a competition, but our lunchbox kind of mumbled to himself. I'm going to kill them. Yeah, I want a game. It's fun facts Friday.
Starting point is 00:11:47 It's supposed to be fun. My bad. I love competition. Why don't you lead and you can set the stage for the rest of us? It'll be your standard we have to live up to. Go ahead. Did you know dragonflies are the most brutal killers on the planet? That's right.
Starting point is 00:12:01 You know, you think, oh, lion kills their prey the most? No, they hunt prey only successful 25%. of the time. Dragonflies, they see their prey. They kill it 95% of the time. Boom. So next time you see a dragonfly, no. But they're not going to kill you. That's the most, kill other bugs. But when you see a dragonfly, you know that's the most lethal killer on the planet. Hey, can we make this a competition? No. Now I want to play. I know. Because anything would be to him. But I liked it. This is not a competition. What do you mean? That's interesting. It's mildly interesting. I don't care about dragonflies. You had no idea they were the most lethal killers on the
Starting point is 00:12:36 planet. Let's go to Eddie. Eddie, your fun fact. Hey, mine's along the same realm here. Did you know that when you get bit by a mosquito, it is a female mosquito. It's never a male mosquito. Male mosquitoes can't even bite.
Starting point is 00:12:50 So when you get bit and oh, man, they're biting me. That's a female because they need your blood to create their eggs in their body. A little more interesting because it actually does affect me. So now you know when it bites you, you're like, hey, girl, get off me. That lady, stop it. That was so dumb. That was pretty good. Pretty good, man.
Starting point is 00:13:07 All right, let's go to Amy. Amy, what is your fun fact? The University of Alabama's football practice fields are near a few apartment complexes, but people that live there have it in their leases that they cannot watch any practices. That's funny. You can't enforce that. I mean, I guess they could say you can't, I mean, I guess you could say either watching, would you send the manager over to say you can't watch?
Starting point is 00:13:31 And they could say, you sign this, you can't watch. It'd be hard to actually enforce that all the time because, You should have to catch them? Man, why wouldn't the competitor just rent a room there and just watch? You see a guy walk in an LSU hat. I'd like to rent three of these apartments right above the field, please. Wait a second. Morgan, Fun Fact Friday.
Starting point is 00:13:48 What do you have? Kim Kardashian has a glam clause in her will. It states that if she's ever in a position where she can't get ready herself, can't communicate, or she's unconscious, someone has to make sure her hair, nails, and makeup are perfect. Well, that's funny. I thought I was going to say, if I can't get ready, kill me. Pull the plug. But that's good.
Starting point is 00:14:08 All right. And finally, here's my fun fact. The stickers on fruits and vegetables are edible. Not only that, the glue used for them is regulated by the FDA. So you can eat them. No one's eating those. Accidentally, I've eaten a mini. Really?
Starting point is 00:14:23 On a peach mostly. Wow. You just didn't know it was there. He just kept eating? Correct. I never see it and go. That's the part I'm going to say for the end. But people do it a lot so that glue is regulated by the FDA.
Starting point is 00:14:33 And the sticker is edible. They have to make sure that because people do eat them all the time. Fun Fat Friday. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Yeah, make something good. Guys, there's a hero in Mississippi, and his name is Corian Evans. He is 16 years old.
Starting point is 00:14:51 He was hanging out by the river with a buddy of his, and a car comes crashing down from the road, rolls down into the river, and there's three girls in there, and he takes his shirt off, throws his phone out of his pants. He's like, I'm going to go save these girls. He jumps in, pulls the girls out. A cop sees them. I'll help too guys
Starting point is 00:15:08 cop jumps in the cop starts drowning as well so this guy Corian and his buddy saved the three girls out of the car and the cop So if you're By the way Corey that's awesome If you are that
Starting point is 00:15:20 Police unit What would you call him Officer that the group of police The unit You probably give him like a squad You probably give him like a packet Of get out of speeding ticket for free Get out of
Starting point is 00:15:33 Like you then have You saved an officer You saved other lives So you deserve one free bank robbery Like you have all of that That's a big one But that kid risked his life Like to jump in to water
Starting point is 00:15:46 And you know Eddie with a few saves yourself as a lifeguard Dude I was reading this story and thinking that that is huge The best I did was a double save two people at the same time This guy got three girls and the police officer I mean my favorite part is he took time to throw his cell phone out And take his shirt off before he got in That's somebody that knows It's tough to get water out of a cell phone
Starting point is 00:16:05 That's right. It's tough to get water out of cell phone. And that's probably why the cop was struggling, too, with all his uniform and everything on there, too. So he would assume he took the belt off of stuff, right? Has to. Don't go in with the baton and the gun and all that. But even going in fully clothed. Yeah, man, it gets heavy. Yeah, that's a good story.
Starting point is 00:16:22 All kidding aside, he could have been trapped under there trying to save him in the car. He could have had them kick and pull him down. And he continued to save folks. So that's an awesome story. Great job. You are a hero. and that is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:16:39 It's the easiest trivia game ever. Amy, Babe Ruth is associated with what sport? Baseball. Baseball is correct. They're that easy. And this is round one. It's the easiest round whatsoever. Lunchbox, who's never won a championship, by the way.
Starting point is 00:16:55 This could be your season, though. This is it. What NFL team's logo is a blue five-pointed star? Cowboys. That is correct. Dang right. Eddie, who's been a champion. almost every time except for one.
Starting point is 00:17:07 He's wearing the tiara now, which the champion wears. Eddie, what sport do they play at Wimbledon? Oh, that is tennis. Correct, good. And then Morgan, you do okay. You do it okay sometimes. You know, it comes out sometimes. Michael Jordan is associated with what sport?
Starting point is 00:17:23 Basketball. Great basketball. So that category was sports. It's all very easy. And let's keep playing. What do you say, guys? Yeah, come on. Play against the show wherever you are.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Next up, 90s, movie quotes. Now if you don't get the question, you're eliminated and you will hear this. You've been boned. And just like in life, the goal of this game not to get boned. Right, everybody? Yes. Amy, you're up first. Life is like a box of chocolates. Is a quote from what 90s movie? For a scum. Correct. Show me the money. Is a quote from what movie lunchbox? Jerry McGuire. Correct. I'm the king of the world. Is a quote from What movie, Eddie? That's Titanic.
Starting point is 00:18:06 Good. To Infinity and Beyond is a quote, Morgan from what movie? Toy Story. That's correct. Give yourself a round of applause. You have made it through two rounds. Amy, who is still not in studio. She has been sick the whole week working from her attic or basement or garage.
Starting point is 00:18:25 I don't even know where she is. But she's still on with us. It's a closet. Amy, TV hosts is this next category. What musical competition does Ryan Seacrest host? American Idol. Correct. Lunchbox, what former TRL host is now the host of the voice?
Starting point is 00:18:46 Carson Daly. Good. Eddie, who's the current host of The Tonight Show? The Tonight Show? The Tonight Show. Is that Jimmy Kimmel? Or is that Fallon? The Tonight Show is NBC.
Starting point is 00:19:03 That's a... Yeah. Eddie could go home. right now. The Tonight Show. I like it. Give me Jimmy Kimmel. That's on ABC. No! No! No! I meant
Starting point is 00:19:17 Jimmy Fallon! I meant Jimmy Fallon. You said what you said. You've been boned. I know what you meant. Yeah, take that. Is it Fallon? Duh. Yeah. It's so easy. You shouldn't miss it yet. What's the name of Kimmel's? Jimmy Kimmel Live? They don't have a long history with ABC. That was terrible. That was so dumb. Down goes Eddie!
Starting point is 00:19:37 Down goes, Eddie. In my head, I saw Fallon. Morgan. Yes. It's wide open for you to win now. I mean, I hope so, yeah. Jeff Probst is the host of what reality competition? He went to school with my dad, so the Survivor.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And that's why he's the host of it. What? Yes. Yeah, I have no idea. Just a fun fact. It's the only reason I knew that. Baseball. Kansas? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Oh, cool. U.S. presidents is the next category. Only three people remain. I mean, I'm embarrassed to Eddie's performance today. Get out. Just keep going. The Gettysburg Address. Yes, Amy was a speech delivered by what president?
Starting point is 00:20:11 Lincoln. Correct. Lunchbox, who's the oldest president ever elected at 78 years old when elected? I'll just go, uh, dang it. I have to go Joe Biden, but I have no idea. What is your answer? Joe Biden. Correct.
Starting point is 00:20:39 Oh, wow. What city was JFK shot? Morgan. Oh, my gosh. Los Angeles or St. Louis? I don't know. There's nothing in my brain. So your answer is? St. Louis. You've been boned.
Starting point is 00:20:59 Why don't you know that one? I'm gonna guess Dallas. Dallas, yeah, yeah. It wasn't a parade, actually. Wasn't it a parade? He was driving. It was a parade. With a wave.
Starting point is 00:21:10 With the floats and stuff? Yeah. No, but you don't have floats from. Motorcade is what it's called. No. Motorcade is when they're just driving somewhere. Oh, okay. You lost, and then you were. insulted Morgan.
Starting point is 00:21:19 Again, you were wrong. He boned again. Bone him again. Give him the double bone. No. Yeah. Dang it. Wow.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Okay. Only to remain. Man, how many wins we got on the season here? Amy's got one, Eddie's got one. So lunchbox, if you win this, you can pull up and be in first place. The category is capitals. Oh, gosh. I love capitals.
Starting point is 00:21:43 Amy, what country is Madrid the capital of? Same. Correct. Lunchbox. What's the capital of France? Well, there's only one city in France. Well, that would be an inaccurate statement, but... Paris. One city. That's correct. But it's not, there's not just one city in France.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Amy, in capitals. Ottawa is the capital of what country? Ottawa, Canada. Correct. Lunchbox. Beijing is the capital of what country? China. Correct. Good. Nobody got, bones. Okay The category is geometry. Amy, what object is a solid shape that is perfectly round
Starting point is 00:22:29 Like a ball? What geometric object is solid shape? Go ahead. Okay, it's a circle? No, it's incorrect. What? A sphere? You've been bow. Like a ball, yes, sphere. No, a circle and a sphere and not the same thing. Lunchbox, how many sides Does a baseball home plate have? Well, let's see. I'm gonna have to draw it because I've
Starting point is 00:22:51 failed geometry. I don't even know how to draw. Yeah, you can't draw. I don't know how to draw. That looks terrible. That has to be five. Is that your answer? Yeah. The answer is five. Yeah! That's why you wear it, baby. You're not on TV. Lunch is like looking at a camera like a play, like a wrestler or like in a...
Starting point is 00:23:31 You're good. Hey, good win though. You are now on Type for first place. Thank you. Let's go! All right. Easy trivia. Lunchbox, a big winner. A voicemail from Amber in Phoenix. There. Arizona. I just wanted to call and say, thank you. I've been listening forever, it feels like, and I just landed my first 911 job on a fire truck, and I have you guys to thank for. Thank you so much. I don't know how or what we did, but we probably didn't do it. You probably did all of it, but we appreciate that very nice message, and congratulations, Amber. That's awesome. Here is Sunny from Chicago.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Go morning studio. I just finished listening to the podcast and I got to thinking with lunchbox's tax returns to get such big tax returns every year. I'm thinking he did that SPF bit on vacation lunchbox. Are you writing off the cost of that vacation on your taxes as a work expense? Curious minds want to know how you get it done. Lunchbox went on vacation once people said, I work for the SPF, the Sun Protection Foundation. Sunburn Protection Foundation. That was a bit for the show that you came up with. So your answer is. Yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:24:42 It's a tax write-off. And I meant to tell you guys all this. We all talked about our vacation. So you're allowed to write off your vacation. The whole vacation? Yes, it's absolutely a work expense. Do you know that actually, if you're doing something for this show, this show, and you are not a something, you can't write it off for this show. Like a sole proprietor or whatever?
Starting point is 00:25:02 It's something, yeah, where if you're doing it for this show, you can't write off most things. Yes, Amy. What about if he did it for sore losers? Different. That's oddly different, different contract. Like, oddly different legal? Like, if you buy clothes for this job, like you're going to the IHeart Festival or whatever.
Starting point is 00:25:20 Festival's different than on a radio. Absolutely, write it off. Yes, festival's different than radio. That's live stage. Buy a plane ticket and you talk about it. I ain't ride it off. No, that's not how it works. You talked about it on the show.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Anyway, here is an independent contractor type thing. You're not that, so you can't for most things in the show. Next up, go ahead. Bobby, you mentioned your book, which we have recently received and read every single night since we've received it, and he has been bugging me all day to call Bobby Bones. His name is Gabriel. He's six years old. Gabriel, what did you want to tell Bobby Bones?
Starting point is 00:25:54 You made more books of the Bonds book? So there it is. Bobby, can you make more books about Stanley, please? Thank you. I appreciate that compliment. Right now, no. But hopefully sometime soon. My kids book, perfect for kids going back to school, especially ages four, five, six years old.
Starting point is 00:26:13 Stanley the dog in his first day of school, get it on Amazon, get it wherever for like 15, 16 bucks. But very proud of it. And thank you for the message. That is really cool. Here's Amy's pile of stories. All right. Question for you, Bobby. Is a child entitled to the money that their parents save for college if they don't end up going to college?
Starting point is 00:26:32 No. No, no, no. It's not a slush fund. you don't get it just because you decided to not go to school. You know, if you put money aside for something specific, and that's something, it's just not, all right, free, no. Now you could talk to your parents and go, hey, college isn't for me. Maybe I want to go to a technical school.
Starting point is 00:26:50 Maybe I want to start in this job. I have some friends who, like, they're like, a plumber makes good money. I'm going to be a plumber, so I'm going to go learn to do that, like trade school or trade. And so I think it could go there, but I don't think you can go by like a PS5 with it. Yeah, why? Oh, it's just a debate. A dad put online because they'd saved a bunch of money for their son, and then he didn't go to college, and now the son just wants the money.
Starting point is 00:27:11 No, good luck. Well, the son probably wants a lot of crap. And you put what you want in one hand, what you deserve and another, and you got nothing in either hand, probably. You're just empty-handed. So, yeah, it sucks for you. I hope the dad goes on our vacation. The dad and mom go and live their life. Maybe break him off something, but no, he's not owed it. I've seen the same debate come up with parents that say for weddings, and then their child elopes or doesn't get married. did they ask, can I still have that money you save for me? And probably parents most of the times will go, yes, or some. But no, if it was made for college, you didn't go to college, that ain't, that's money the parents
Starting point is 00:27:44 now just have in their own account. What else? A lawyer is warning us to not use self-checkouts because we could be accused of theft. Well, if you steal, even what, what, accidentally because it breaks or what, right, you don't know how to use it? Well, it's a lawyer that has like over a million followers on TikTok and she always gives little tips. and she said, listen, I've dealt with this too much.
Starting point is 00:28:05 Stay away from self-checkout because you could accidentally steal something, you know, if it doesn't scam right, and then it ends up in your bag, and then you get accused of theft, and it doesn't happen right away. It's normally when inventory shows up short, and they go and they check the video camera, and then they come and find you after that. Okay, I don't think the cops are going to bust down your door because you took a head of lettuce, and you didn't know how to ring it up because it's odd and it's a vegetable, and you're like, how do I do a vegetable?
Starting point is 00:28:28 There's no barcode on it. Well, but let's say you have a warrant, don't do shut, self-check out. Okay, well, they don't get the warrant. Maybe that's what the lawyer should say. Hey, don't have a warrant for your arrest before you go to the grocery store. All right, what else? So Carrie Underwood said she likes to check her Twitter feed after every single show because it helps her become a part of the concert and experience what other fans are saying. Also get some feedback. Here's the clip. When you put on a concert and then you go to the next place to put on the next show, with Twitter, it kind of allows you to experience some of the aftermath, I guess, of being someplace, which is really cool. Aftermath is a good word for Twitter.
Starting point is 00:29:05 It's just aftermath all the time. Nothing good happens. I mean, I like Twitter. I like to read it, but it isn't a great place to live because I like Instagram stories to say stuff mostly because people can't really reply publicly. They just can go, yeah, or nah, and they can't do anything. I love Twitter. You'll see me just putting very generic fun stuff up there, not really any big opinions.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Because no matter what you put, people are just going to yell at you. Also, when Kerry finishes the show at some city, even if I'm not in it, I'm going to start tweeting that. and I was, I think I was there. So good. She looks at it, all right. Where do you go for feedback, though, after your shows? You got a bet, huh?
Starting point is 00:29:41 Yeah, just sleep. You're a good one, yeah. Just sleep. All right, Amy. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:29:51 With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Kevin was at Waffle House in Midway, Florida, when he looked over and he saw a guy sitting at a table and he had $5 bills, $1 bills all spread out on the table. And he walked up, he said, hey, man, what's up with all the dollar bills on your table? He's like, when my mom was passing away, her last words to me were love everybody. So for the last eight years, I come to Waffle House and I give dollar bills and five dollar bills just to strangers.
Starting point is 00:30:20 Just hand them out. That's pretty cool. And with every dollar bill that he hands out, and they have the words written, love everybody. He wrote on the money? No, no, he wrote a little note and attached it to the dollar bills. Why? Why do you ask that? That's defacing government.
Starting point is 00:30:32 property. Federal. And over the last eight years, he's given away $13,000 to strangers. That's crazy. That's a lot of money. I was going to sit in the rest of him. You cannot write him that money, sir. Now, that's a great story. And it's really cool that he is honoring what he feels was his mom's message. I think that's really great. By the way, the question is, so is it illegal to write or draw on money. It is. In fact, it's illegal to face money. And in this case, U.S. dollars, if they're unusable, it is then, illegal, as quoted from the Secret Service official website, defacement of currency
Starting point is 00:31:06 is a violation of Title 18, Section 333 of the United States Code. It doesn't say if you will go to jail. And also, did you know the Secret Service is what's over money? They're the money crime. They're the money cops? Basically, yes. We think them as just... President's security.
Starting point is 00:31:22 But they also... That's their job as well. Did you also know that if you rip a dollar or any kind of bill, like a $100 bill, you can take it to the bank and they'll give you a new one? Yes, that's awesome. over 50, I think only like 60%, because if you did it exactly 50, you go get two. Oh.
Starting point is 00:31:37 So, again, not completely accurate. Okay. But there's something to it. Oh, I see what you're saying. Like, if you cut it right down the middle, you can take it. Oh. Penalties if you're convicted of defacing U.S. bills, you can face fines. Okay. Jail time or both.
Starting point is 00:31:53 For bills, the maximum fine is $100. The maximum jail sentence is six months. Can you imagine you're in prison? What are you in for, buddy? I drew a smiley face on a 10. That's a great story, though. I like that. That is what it's all about.
