And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple, nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron.

Starting point is 00:02:54 Pin.com. Own the dream. Hey, good morning. What's up, everybody? Morning studio. Morning. All right, big show today, but before we get to Lainey Wilson or the dance party or easy trivia, because it's a heck of a show, I do want to grab a couple calls. Lindsay and Austin is on the phone. Lindsay, what's going on? Hey, I have a question for Dr. Bone. Okay, I'm ready. A doctor's in.
Starting point is 00:03:28 All righty. I think I'm going to have to have an endoscopy next week, and I just wanted to know how long to expect. to be down and what else I should do. Yeah, I give it to you straight. So an endoscopy is when they go into a different part of your intestines. Like they take a tube and go into a different part of your intestines. Really? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:48 Well, I had a, I had a one. Oh, that's why I know this. That's why. I have really bad digestion issues. So just to make sure there was nothing wrong with me inside, I had a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. And so you can't eat like hours before and that stinks. And then you go and they put you in a gown.
Starting point is 00:04:06 and they're like, all right, here's what's going to happen. You're like, okay, cool. And you're nervous because anytime you get put under, it's nerve wracking. And then they go, okay, put this mask on. And you count, you go three, then you close your eyes. And all of a sudden, you open them up again. And you're like, oh, that was it. So you're way nervous.
Starting point is 00:04:22 This is a procedure done a million times. You feel weird because they're sticking a tube in your butt. But then you have to realize this doctor does this 80 times a day. Like to him, it's just a Tuesday. Yeah. Or it's just a Friday. It's like brushing his teeth. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Yes. So, go in. Uh-huh. Thank you. Go in. Understand that this is for a good reason. They're going to check out your digestive track. Hopefully you're going to get good news and you're going to wake up and be like all good.
Starting point is 00:04:51 You will be down for like two hours afterward. Not even that down. Your butt will be a little sore. But other than that, you're kind of good to go because they don't cut you. They just gass you up a little bit. So this is a pretty mild procedure as far as my studies. pretty mild procedure. Don't be nervous about the procedure.
Starting point is 00:05:10 If you're nervous about what they're going to find, that's a different story. But don't be nervous about the procedure. Okay, great. So I'll be good to take a test in like a couple days after. Oh, yeah. You can take a test probably 6 p.m. that night. I wouldn't do it right then, but you could do it the next morning.
Starting point is 00:05:24 No problem. Okay, cool. All right. Good luck. Lindsay, I appreciate that. Remember, the doctor's always in. No, we're not going to start taking calls for Dr. Bone. He sounded legit, though.
Starting point is 00:05:36 The doctor's always in. Oh, my gosh. And I am not a medical doctor. I would like that to be known. But that's all I like to be known right now. The honorary doctor is always in. All right, Lindsay, have a good morning. You too, thanks.
Starting point is 00:05:49 All right, bye-bye. Ricky in Colorado is on the phone. Always appreciate people waking up early and calling us. Ricky, what's going on? I just wanted to share something good. Fanny pack of a softball tournament first thing. Fanny pack by the raging idiots. Everyone happy.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Oh. Was it like a walk-up song? That would be a legit walk-up song. Yeah. It wasn't the walk-up song. It was the warm-up song, though. Oh, I like that, though. For example, and I'm going to play it here.
Starting point is 00:06:20 This is Eddie and I, The Raging Idiots. We're not going to play the whole song. Here's a little bit of our song, Fanny Pack. Hit it. Y'all already know that's my Fanny Pack. Lilly, you're an almanac. If you need a fuel filter for your ponniac, it's in my Fanny Pack.
Starting point is 00:06:37 I'm a modern-day, Mary Poppins, wherever I go. Pack to the max, right up. above my fly. The max right above my fly. Come on. I'm ready to play some softball now. So good.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Bones, if Red Solo Cup can be a huge hit, why can't this be a huge hit? Well, we purposefully chase like the early 90s hip-hop sound. No one's really doing this now? Well, we didn't chase country music, you know? Where are you going to put this? I mean, even like the beginning of this song, it hits hard. It really does. Yeah, can you start it from the beginning?
Starting point is 00:07:17 Because, I mean, you know, walking down the street. Well, Cup is morning. Yeah. Oh, yeah, that's it. I don't let my mix up this morning with a lot to do except my pants didn't have enough pocket room. Here you go. This morning with a lot to do, but my pants didn't have enough pocket room. I got my keys, my phone, my chapstick, too.
Starting point is 00:07:38 Good thing I got a pouch like a kangaroo. Fanny pack, fanny pack. If you need a rubber band or a real light snack, if you need an epipen to bring your granny back. Fanny pack. Okay. I'm walking down the street, all eyes on me. What's tighter on my waist in neon green? I'm zipped in the front and snapped in the back
Starting point is 00:07:57 You already know that's my fanny pack Man, they don't make music like that anymore No, they sure don't For a reason though Yeah Hey speaking of and we do our stuff It's comedy stuff But my favorite rapping cowboy
Starting point is 00:08:08 Is gonna come in Monday morning We're ready to go Ryan Charles is coming in He was on the American song Writing contest Contest American Song Contest That's right
Starting point is 00:08:18 And each state had someone represent them I don't watch the show I just saw close And he represented Wyoming He grew up there, Cowboy, but he's also a rapper, and he raps about cowboy things, and he has this song, New Boot Goofing. He's going to come perform on Monday. Come on. Near now, like this time in the morning.
Starting point is 00:09:00 It's going to be early, and everybody's going to be half of sleep. He's going to wake us up. It's going to be awesome. That's Monday morning. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mail. back yeah hello bobby bones my husband and i just moved into a new house a few months ago my husband
Starting point is 00:09:20 was very excited to finally have a yard to take care of he's been great with it watering mowing fertilizing even went out and bought all new lawn equipment our neighbors the opposite overgrown grass weeds everywhere which by the way are slowly trying to make their way into our yard my husband is getting frustrated and wants to go talk to the neighbor about controlling the weeds so they don't come into our yard. I told him he can't do that. We just need to treat our yard. I feel like we have no right to tell anyone what to do. Be mindful. We haven't lived in this house very long and I really don't want to get off on a bad foot, especially since we're planning on living here for a long time. Please help. I love the show. I'm a very loyal listener. What should I do? Amy? Yikes. I mean,
Starting point is 00:10:05 I have to say that I'm going to focus on my side of the street here, which would be my yard. You're beans or chili. Yeah. Like I. Yeah. Yeah. And it's just, it's the best thing that you can do in life in all situations.
Starting point is 00:10:19 It's not always easy to do, but that would be my encouragement. What I would encourage you, and I think you can do, is if you want to knock the edge off of his, you can. Because that's just. On your side. Yeah, but on his side. Like if his yard goes into yours, you can mow a little bit into theirs and just make it feel like you just mowed yours a little much.
Starting point is 00:10:40 You don't have to mow the whole, don't mow. the whole yard. No. Or you could even offer like, like, hey, when I'm out, would you guys like me to mow your yard too? I just love mowing. Like, that's a friendly way to do it because they'll probably say yes, honestly. They'll probably say yes. I don't think you get offended at that. Totally. If Eddie and I was like, dang, Eddie stinks at doing his yard,
Starting point is 00:10:57 I would be like, hey, let me introduce myself. By the way, you're going to think this is weird, but my hobby, don't laugh, is mowing. And so if I'm mowing the front yard, do you want me to if I have some time scroll over to yours too? I don't think that's offensive. Dude, my neighbor just told me those exact words. He's like, hey, it's just, I work from home.
Starting point is 00:11:17 I need exercise. I will take those bushes out. And these bushes are gross, they're ugly. And he took them out. Were you offended? No, I was very thankful. So to your point, I think you're right. Now, if you don't want to do the work, but you want them to do their work, that's probably a bad mix because they're not going to.
Starting point is 00:11:32 But if you want to go and roll over to theirs a little bit, I think that'll be fine. I think you go and introduce yourself and be like, hey, not for that reason. but it's you know you're going to hear us we're not going to be loud at night you know this is the hours we work let us know if you need anything by the way i love moan so i may kind of go into your yard a little bit if you want i can just roll through your yard at some point and i don't think they will get offended um i don't know that you complain about it though for any reason i don't think you complain about their yard you can offer to help because you love it so much not because they suck at it but you can't say you have to do a better job right because that creates bad neighbor tension yeah
Starting point is 00:12:08 and Eddie is that right now. But I let him. And good for you. You did a great job letting him. There you go. Thank you for the email. If you want to email the show, Morgan, what do they do? Mailbag at Bobbybones.com.
Starting point is 00:12:21 All right, close it up. We got your email and we read it on air. Now it's about to close Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. All right, to start us off on Fun Fact Friday, here is Jim from Ohio with our listener, Fun Fact. Well, hello, Bobby Bones. Fun fact for Fun Fact Friday is that there's no wind on the moon, so I've heard I haven't gone and checked it out. But there's no wind on the move.
Starting point is 00:12:45 So supposedly, Neal Armstrong's footprint is supposedly still there. I'll probably never go and see it, but, you know, yep, have a good day. What is that? I don't know. I like it. But because there's no wind, the footprint can't blow away. Makes sense. Fun Fact Friday, nice job, Jim from Ohio.
Starting point is 00:13:05 Thank you very much. Let's go. Friday. Counting them down, five to one. Number five. At its peak, Pablo Escobar's
Starting point is 00:13:15 cartel earned $420 million a week. A week. Ridiculous. Think about that. Yeah, I know, I am. It's a lot. I don't think about this,
Starting point is 00:13:28 $420. It's almost half a billion a week. And this was at the peak, like back in the day, when that amount of money seems like a lot now. Imagine it back then. The money's crazy, guys,
Starting point is 00:13:38 but that's the amount of drugs that they were selling. Oh, yeah, yeah. I mean, they controlled 80% of the worldwide cocaine market, which that's what, when I watch these cocaine cartel drug shows, I'm like, but what the crazy part is is all the people that are up in arms about it. It's like, oh, yeah, so we can supply you Americans with all your party drugs. But don't be mad at me. I don't do anything.
Starting point is 00:14:00 She's yelling at us. Amy, we never bought that stuff. I never even seen it in real eye. Me neither. Number four. The Pentagon is 5.1 million square feet. That's a lot. On Zillow, that'd go for quite the pasty amount.
Starting point is 00:14:15 But it's super cool because it was designed so that every point in the building is less than a 10-minute walk from any other point. So, like, that's why the Pentagon, the shape is the way that it is so that they can get from point A to B without having to take half an hour. How many bathrooms, that is? A lot of bathrooms. Number three.
Starting point is 00:14:35 Never odd or eat. Even, spelled backwards, all those words. Never, odd, or even. Is spelled never odd or even. That's like a race car. Weird. Spell race car backward. It's the same race car.
Starting point is 00:14:48 Yeah, like that. You know what that's called? Well, that would have been the easy one to use, probably. Is that Anamontapia? No. Automanopoeia is like, boom, whack. That's lunchbox every time he tells a story. Kaludum.
Starting point is 00:14:58 Yeah, yeah. It's a palindrome. A palindrome. Palindrome. A good try. Pullerum. Well, actually, Bobby said don't make fun of people if they've ever said the out loud. That's right, because it means they've only read it.
Starting point is 00:15:09 Yeah, and I probably learned it at some point in school, but I don't remember. Probably did. Thank you. Number two. The Calvin Klein Cologne obsession can attract big cats like jaguars and tigers from like half a mile away
Starting point is 00:15:25 and then they'll proceed to take long sniffs and cuddle against the source enjoying the smell longer than they enjoy some of their meals. Dude. I think she's just believing a commercial. We need to take Calicoleine obsession. There's a jaguar lick in the neck of a male model.
Starting point is 00:15:41 I could wear it and see what happens with my cat. But who would test that? All right, we're going to the jungle, guys. Try a lunchbox at the zoo. Number one. Netflix employees get unlimited vacation days and a free subscription. The unlimited vacation days is pretty weird. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:16:00 It must mean that as long as you do your job, they don't care when you're not there. Right. So I googled more for this one because I really wanted to understand it. And it said Netflix employees have unlimited vacation because no one is tracking their time. Instead of micromanaging how people get their jobs done, the leadership focuses on what matters results. They found that giving people greater autonomy creates more responsible culture. They also put out the memo too. There's like, hey, if you're upset by some of the stuff we're doing,
Starting point is 00:16:27 quit. They're like, we have programming for everybody. You don't have to agree with it. But if you're upset, you get a little feelings, you can quit right now. That's cool. I was like, that's cool. I like that. and unlimited vacation. We couldn't do that because we have to be here at certain hours. But I tell you what, whenever you're not here on the show, unlimited vacation. Fun Fat Friday. H-E-L-P.com slash Bobby. Come on. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Prom night's a big night for teenagers, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:08 I mean, it's something that we all look forward to. We all remember. And this girl, Sarah, she's getting ready for her senior prom. And her mom was like, you know, all we can really afford is the dress. And kind of that's where we draw the line. But she wanted like a boutonnier, the corsage, like the flowers, the whole experience. So her mom just put on Facebook, like, hey, if anybody has any extra flowers, Like, we'll take them and they can make something.
Starting point is 00:21:32 Well, people in the community went above and beyond. Not only did they show up with flowers, but someone volunteered to do her makeup, volunteered to do her hair. So she got all this special attention to feel her best on prom night, and it's because the community came together. It made me feel beautiful.
Starting point is 00:21:50 It made me feel that I was wanted. That's awesome. Good for those folks. I was thinking about what I wore a prom. I was a biggest idiot. I wore all black, and then I had a white, vest and a white bowtie. And I thought I was so cool. What's wrong with that? I look stupid when I look bad. No. No. I look so, that is the dumbest tuxedo. I just wanted to be different. And I told you, I remember asking the girl. She went to my church and I was so nervous because
Starting point is 00:22:13 I didn't have a girlfriend. I was like, oh, I got to ask her out. So I called her and I didn't call people and talk to them on the phone. Girls, not really. And so I called her and just kept talking and like it's like a 45 minute phone conversation. I was just so nervous to get to the point and then I think she was like why are we on the phone? Because we never talked on the phone once and then I was like do you want to go prom? The very end she was like what? I want to go to prom? Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:37 And then we went. Yeah. And then I dropped dropped at like 9.15 at home and went home and went to bed. Why so early? Prom was over. That was it? Like 10 maybe. Okay. Let me give me a little bit credit. So you didn't go to an after party. I didn't get invited to an after party.
Starting point is 00:22:52 Yeah. Yeah. All right. Tell me something good guys. No, but what's good is. I am here today. I don't know. I don't know. But I like that story. Good story, Amy. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.

Starting point is 00:27:33 You've been Bowen. It's wrong? Maybe we're all going to be back in it, you know what I mean? Santa Fe? Oh my gosh. Noah's been there. Eddie. Yes, Santa Fe's beautiful.
Starting point is 00:27:42 What's capital of Connecticut? What, come on. I think I know a city in Connecticut. Oh, gosh. If you can think of one, it's probably the capital because you've heard it before. Oh my goodness. Connecticut? Where's ESPN?
Starting point is 00:27:58 Is that Bristol? New Haven, Connecticut. Wow, that just popped in. in my head. Give me New Haven, Connecticut, for the win. You've been Bo. Oh my gosh. Hartford. I mean, at least, you know. Hartford, Connecticut. Hey, Morgan. Yeah. Morgan, you might win. Kansas.
Starting point is 00:28:23 That'd be cool. You can win with this one. What's the capital of Colorado? We're all good. We're back in. Yeah, we're safe. No, you're not. You guys are being awfully rude to her right now. I have no idea, so I can't even say. Denver. Let's go. Denver. I know it's not Denver.
Starting point is 00:28:44 I don't. I have no idea. What do you think it is, Eddie? Colorado Springs. That's where the Air Force Academy is. Okay, so would you bet- I'm just asking, you can bet against Denver. Would you bet $10?
Starting point is 00:28:54 I'll let you bet 10 against me and I'll take Denver and you take the field, any other town? Because you know it's not Denver. How much? $10. Yeah, let's go $10. All right, the capital is Denver. Woo! Morgan wins and I won $10.
Starting point is 00:29:09 We lost. I don't care. Nice job, Morgan. If Morgan won, I'm fine with that. Oh, because it makes their game last longer. Smart. To all of our listeners in Denver. Tallahassee.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Tallahassee. Which we've been to and played shows there. And in Hartford, which I don't know if we have a lot of listeners in Hartford. I don't think so. Yeah, that was a tricky situation to put us in. Yeah, Santa Fe. I mean, who knew that? Nobody.
Starting point is 00:29:34 I did. Morgan did. But think about it. At one time, we live in Nashville. and one time Morgan was asked the capital of Tennessee. Very true. And she said, I'm very terrible at geography. I said Memphis.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Memphis. So, I mean, don't even know the own city we live in. Exactly. So what my point is, don't take it personally. Yeah. We're human. Did you learn a Capitol song, though? No, I just memorize them all.
Starting point is 00:29:55 I had a lunchbox as a kid that had all the states and the capitals, and that's kind of where I go in mind. I need to get one now. Well, there we have it. Well, we got to go on our apology tour, so they'll be coming to the city they insulted. Sometime near you. Denver, I'll see you soon.
Starting point is 00:30:07 All right. I think you should all call into the station you just insulted. You have to do an interview. Okay. That's the deal. Thank you, Morgan, congratulations. Thank you. All right, this is Christian from Savannah, Georgia, who left us a voicemail.
Starting point is 00:30:20 I was looking the third time she stayed at my house. She peed in the bed. I woke up. It is what it is. But if he cared... Couple things about this call on this guy. I like his maturity about this. Very.
Starting point is 00:30:44 His girlfriend's going to kill him. That's number two. Yeah, he didn't say her name, though. Thank goodness. Well, it's Christian from Savannah George's girlfriend. And she'll recognize his voice. Yeah, so she's going to kill him. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Well, you didn't have to reiterate it. Great. Thanks for helping the dude. Next up, I say that, you know, this is the attitude. And, you know, we had this call and this guy's like, should I break up with her? He's right. If you like her enough, you're not going to let that be in the way. And he liked his girlfriend enough to not let that be in a way.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Just a little bit of pee. By the way, of all the things that come out of the body, pee's probably the cleanest. Maybe drool. I would, well, well, I think pee is probably grosser, but I still think pee is probably sterile and cleaner than spit. Okay. I just meant like in the category of like, what would you want to come out of your body first? Oh, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:30 I meant like if you had to drink a shot of something and not know and hopefully not get germs. Because some people might find drooling while they sleep embarrassing. Yeah, this is a terrible conversation. All right. Next up, let's go over and play this. This is voicemail number four on the list, Ray. Good morning, Bobby. Say, can we get an update from Scuba Steve on where your Christmas
Starting point is 00:31:49 prison is. Yeah, that'd be good. Today is May 20th. I still don't have the Christmas present that Scooba promised. Scova, what's up, buddy? So I have some really good news. We talked about it being in a shipping crate and a ship going across the bay and has finally made its way here to Nashville, Tennessee, and I have your Christmas gift. Oh, it's here? Oh, it's here. It's underneath my desk. Okay, hold it then. I'll get it on Monday. We'll open it on Monday. Can I open it on the air? Oh yeah, totally, yeah. Okay, we'll do it Monday. Good. I can wait. Appreciate that call. And then finally, Here's Noah from Niceville, Florida. Today's my birthday, and I'm 10 years old, and I have a joke to tell you, what do you call a happy cowboy, a jolly rancher?
Starting point is 00:32:29 We love you, Bobby. Love you, I'm a big fan. Thanks, happy birthday, buddy. And that's a pretty good joke. And that is a list of all the voicemails. Call us if you want 877-77 Bobby. Even if we're not live, leave us a voicemail. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:32:46 It took a long time to get to this point, but Google is now. giving you a way to keep your personal data from showing up online and search results. So like it used to be this major process, like you had to show evidence of potential harm. And now they're just kind of like, okay, yeah, it's probably harmful. Like people can find so much information about you. Just a button or? Well, right now there's an online form where you can submit a request for what you. It's a lot of work.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Yeah, I know. I'm lazy. This is less work though. Where it's a step in the right direction, though. Whatever you would like removed, you just fill out the form. and then in a few months, a new online tool is going to be introduced that will hopefully make the request super click, you know, quick with the click of a button and boom, it'll be taken off. If I get pants that are just, if I'm like, ah, they only don't fit a little bit. I'll just keep them.
Starting point is 00:33:32 I won't even mail them back. I'll just want to wear them instead of return them. And give them to Eddie's. No, well, eventually maybe like a year, but it's like, that's a lot of work. We are lazy. Okay, what else you got? Should companies offer paid leave for women when it's their time of the month? I think companies should offer pay pay.
Starting point is 00:33:49 paid leave for X amount of days. If medically you are just not well in many ways, I don't think I can understand what you're going through if you have, because I know some people that have severe cramps. Yes, very. That I would compare from my understanding to like when someone gets what's the little, the little hard thing that passes through your body, a guy comes out your people. Kidney stones. Right. And so if they're, if they both feel the same, same, but you get out because of kidney stones. Why do you not get out because of this? Especially if the kidney, it's just, yes, I'm okay with it, yes.
Starting point is 00:34:28 Well, it's something that Spain is considering right now. There's a bill that would offer unlimited paid days off. Unlimited. With a doctor's note, obviously within reason. I don't think that. I ain't going unlimited. And the government would actually pick up the tab, not the employer. And a few countries around the world have similar laws like in Japan, Taiwan,
Starting point is 00:34:46 Indonesia. But Spain would be the first country in Europe. up to do this. And some people support the bill, but others say it could backfire and stigmatize women. We're never going to get this here. We don't have good health care anywhere in our country. This is stupid. It's not something that we will do because this is not an importance. There are people that don't even have health care because they can't afford health care. So you think, I'm not talking about you. This is just my gripe. People where I come from can't afford health care, period. If they get a prescription, and then they're like, yeah, that'll be
Starting point is 00:35:15 $45. They're like, well, I can't get my medicine. Or that'll be $180. Well, I can't get my medicine. Right. And so that is such a problem in this country where people like me and how I grew up, we struggle with paying for medicine. We struggle with, I don't want to go to the doctor because I can't afford it. I can't go to the doctor because I can't afford it. So therefore we're not healthy.
Starting point is 00:35:36 So I love it. We have some advancement to do here in America first for sure. All right. What else? Well, speaking of advancement. Well, really soured that one, didn't I? It just upsets me so much whenever I see people that cannot. Go to the, don't go to the doctor because they can't afford it.
Starting point is 00:35:52 I didn't go to the dentist my whole life because we couldn't afford it. And I had really bad teeth. Until my 20s, when I got insurance and I got a job, I just was like, yeah, I don't want to go to the dentist. I was outwardly anti-denist, but only because I was embarrassed because I couldn't afford to go to the dentist. So I hate to see that with folks here. And I'm announcing my candidacy now. When I'm in office. Oh, right.
Starting point is 00:36:13 No, I'm just kidding. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. What else? John Osborne of Brothers Osborne is opening up about his struggle, which. anxiety and depression in an episode called The Check-in presented by ACM lifting lives. And here he is talking about how you should allow yourself to feel your feelings. Being okay with not being okay is just being patient. Being patient with how you feel. When I struggled the worst with mental
Starting point is 00:36:38 health, I fought it and I resisted it. Now I accept it. I lit it in. I allow myself to feel it. And sometimes it passes in seconds. So just let yourself feel what you're feeling. don't fight it. He's been an advocate for a while. He did a bobbycast, him and his brother at the same time, came over to the house. We talked about it for about an hour. And, you know, you need people talking about it, but you also need people like tough guys talking about it, like John. He's a tough dude. Yeah, he looks tough, he sounds tough, he is tough, but you don't have to be tough all the time and in every part of your life. And I think he's such a good example because he's a tough guy, but he's also like, it's not all about being tough.
Starting point is 00:37:21 You know, it's about knowing your limitations. It's about knowing when you need help. And you may have other people that are like, I kind of feel like John, I'm tough, but I got issues that I need to work on. So I like that, that he did that. Yeah, me too. I mean, if I do it, they're like, well, yeah, Bobby, of course.
Starting point is 00:37:34 That makes sense. Yeah, of course. He's not tough. He's neurotic. He's neurotic 24-7. That was Amy's pile of stories. Starting point is 00:41:26 With lunchbox. Tell me something good. We've all heard about the daddy daughter dance donuts with daughters, but what about graduating college with your daughter? That's what Marvin Fletcher did. He's a veteran of the U.S. military. and he took classes for over a decade, one at a time saying, I'm going to graduate college, I'm going to graduate college. And he just so happened to graduate the same day his daughter did,
Starting point is 00:41:50 who was dual enrolled in high school and college at the same time. And so same day, they walked across the stage. Wow. I mean, think about that, where he didn't have a lot of time to take a lot of classes. Like he couldn't go back to school full time or even really part-time. So he took one class at a time. I mean, if that's not how to eat an elephant, there isn't one. And you eat an elephant one bite at a time because you can't eat more.
Starting point is 00:42:11 that. That's crazy. I mean, good for him. And also super cool. They got to do it together. Are you sure that wasn't a little bit strategically planned? I feel like a little bit. Yeah. Then take anything away from it. But it's like somebody having a baby and like really like pushing hard before the date. But they both had to like, because she was in high school and then he was ahead. I mean, they still. Yeah. So that's what I'm saying. Maybe he slowed it down so he could do it at the same time she did. But she sped it up. Yeah. She got her EMT certificate so she could be an That's pretty cool. The fact that he went for that long, 10 years and hung in there and here's another one.
Starting point is 00:42:44 You want another one? Yeah, I do it. When's the best time to plant a tree? 20 years ago. When's the second best time? Now. Now. Okay, you guys have killed it by doing your low improv.
Starting point is 00:42:54 It's not tomorrow. No, what it is is when's the best time to plant a tree? Well, it was 20 years ago because it'd already be grown. When's the second best time? Well, right now, because if you don't do it now, it ain't going to be grown quick enough. Hey, maybe I'll be one of these Tell Me Something Goods one day. How so?
Starting point is 00:43:10 I'll graduate college when my kid graduates college. You're one class away. You can do it right now. No, save it. I can be like Marvin here and strategically plan it. Yeah, by taking one class. But he's going to wait until his child is in college. No, but I'm saying that strategic plan is just you taking one class.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Are his old credit still good, though? I don't know. They might shift. Don't those expire? Yeah, this is not. I have no idea. All right, good story. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:43:34 That was Tell Me Something Good. Coming up in the mailbag in just a second, if your neighbors have a bad yard and you have a good yard, should you go and confront them? That's the question asked to us in the mailbag. But now, Amy's morning corny. Morning corny! What do priests say to get rid of insects in the church? What do priests say to get rid of insects in the church? Let us spray.
Starting point is 00:43:59 Let us spray. I like it. That was the morning corny. That's a good one. Shit. On yesterday's show, Lunchbox was complaining about this job that you don't like it. Sometimes, but most of the time you don't like the job. Yeah, like 37% of the time I like it.
Starting point is 00:44:18 Otherwise, you're unhappy with this job. Yes. Will is on the phone in Texas, who just wanted to comment on that. Hey, Will, so Lunchbox doesn't like this job. What would you like to say to him? He can have my job if he wants it. What's that job? I'm a cowboy in South Texas.
Starting point is 00:44:34 I gather cattle. I run cattle through dipping vats. I pull calves. And it's probably around 100 and 102 down here today. Would you do that job? That doesn't sound like the type of job I want to do. It doesn't sound fun. I don't think he can do it.
Starting point is 00:44:52 It's be real. Well, Eddie, you couldn't do it either. He'd be like that. Oh, my God. Jimmy on Yellowstone. You look like Jimmy on Yellowstone. So he's saying that he has a real job with hard work and you don't. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:04 And the heat. Yeah. I mean, it's all relative. He couldn't do this job. He might. Sounds pretty good to me. Will, could you do this job? At least lunchbox is part of this job.
Starting point is 00:45:13 Yeah, I could do a lunchboxer job. Yeah. Everybody thinks they can do this job and they get on here and they freeze and they get nervous. Everybody gets on here? Like, you can hear callers. They're terrible. You bring people on here, huh, huh, huh, huh. They get stage fright.
Starting point is 00:45:27 I mean, guys, it's not easy. Everybody thinks it's so easy until you're put on the spot and you've got to think on your feet. Can't do it. Hey, he's had this phone call. He sat there. and rehearsed it. It's like, what am I going to say? What am I going to say?
Starting point is 00:45:40 No, you're assuming. I think he nailed it. Hey, Will, what are you doing today? Like, what's, you'll go out today and onto the ranch. Like, what are your duties as far as? I got to pick up about 30 head of yourlings and picking them back in to put a bit of a different belt. Well, I don't know if you know what a different bit of yours, but it's where you run through.
Starting point is 00:46:00 You get the disease and stuff off with them. And when they come out, they're not as mad. as they could be. So didn't you have to vaccinate them? Well, that's work I could not do. It's tough. Why are you slamming your hand down? Do you hear how he would whoop your butt? If he was here in person, he would take your head. But he's acting like he could do this job, but we can't get on here and just go, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh,
Starting point is 00:46:22 but he didn't call and say he could do your job. He didn't know, he asked him. No, we asked him. And he said yes. But his purpose was to say he has a hard job and you shouldn't hate your job. Where in South Texas? Carrizo Springs, Texas. Wow. That's a good spot.
Starting point is 00:46:36 That's down by Crystal City. Shout out. You're talking to a lot of Texans in this room. Yeah. And when you say that, they're like, yeah, duh. My Theo Pepe live there. Oh, yeah, yeah. I will.
Starting point is 00:46:45 I appreciate that call. I hope you have an awesome day, my friend. The Friday morning conversation with Lainey Wilson. Lany, you might be the most, and you don't act it and you don't look it, but I think you're probably pretty tired because I've seen you all over America. Dude, I feel like you. Like, there was one time where I was like, I feel like Bobby is in five places at once.
Starting point is 00:47:05 It's like how in the world, but you somehow do it. You know, and it's so great to be tired, and I know you'll speak to this, it's so great to be tired doing what you love after you work so hard to do it. And you thought, I don't know if it's ever going to. You know, it's just so great to be that tired, right? Yeah, it's like you work hard to work harder. And I'm okay with it. What is your life like now?
Starting point is 00:47:26 It's a lot different. I remember just like praying and hoping anybody would just give me an opportunity just to play their, you know, four-hour bar gig. And we have a lot of things like thrown at us right now, which is just a blessing. And so we are, I think we're playing like 125, 130 shows this year. Wow. So 90 to nothing, we're going to be finally on a bus here in just like a few days.
Starting point is 00:47:54 Which means for audience who just think you get buses for free if you're, like, I can tell you that when we have to rent a bus to go out on a weekend, because we don't play every weekend like you do, I'm paying like $4,500 a weekend. It's a lot. To have a bus driver. They get a drive. Diesel, all of it.
Starting point is 00:48:11 So that means now you're actually making a living that you can afford a bus, which actually lets you stay healthy, sleep. That's such a big step. I'm so looking forward to like playing a show, doing my thing. And then like I'm going to get to be horizontal for a few hours because we've just been, you know, vanning it. been flying anytime we can. But like I said, I ain't complaining about it.
Starting point is 00:48:37 This is what it is. That's what I've been working hard for. It's awesome. And I love to see it. But we flew back with you from Austin. And I was like, Lanny, how long are you home? You're like, about 36 hours. And I was like, all right, I'll see you.
Starting point is 00:48:48 I'll see you in the next day. It's the truth. It's the truth. You got two number ones now. I mean, shot out of a can. You know, you hit with this one right here. This is Lany's first number one. Yeah, I know a few things.
Starting point is 00:49:00 A man ought to know. And then Cole Swindell and Lany Wilson put this song out. Which, you know, you got to shout out Cole a little bit because when you, if I'm right here, when you recorded that song, I don't, did you have a number one yourself already? We were, we thought we were going to have one, but no, it was not set in stone. It was like. So he took a risk. He took a big risk. And I owe him so much.
Starting point is 00:49:27 Like, I think it is so important to have to have people like Cole. like on your team and kind of like rooting for you and showing the rest of the world like hey i believe in this girl maybe you should too and that's what he's done for me i mean it's just it's been huge your hometown right now describe it for me if i drive into your hometown what's it called then what's it look like baskin population 263 baskin baskin Louisiana and what part of the state is that in like the boot northeast corner okay so i'm like 30 miles from Arkansas and 30 miles from Mississippi. So we're like right there in the corner. And so you draw, what do you see in your hometown? Well, you go over Big Creek Bridge into Franklin Parish, because you know we have parishes.
Starting point is 00:50:08 Not counties, yeah. And you see a bunch of corn fields. You'll probably see my daddy on the tractor. And he's a farmer, corn, wheat, soybeans, oats. You'll probably see my mama out there taking him food to the field. Like, that's what it is. We don't even have a red light. We have a caution light. And that's about it. But that's what makes baskin basking basking. What do they think about you now? Oh my gosh. Well, all 263 of them are pretty much family, so they don't treat me any different.
Starting point is 00:50:36 Except there's a few people who are like, hey, I think we might be cousins. Oh, you'll get a lot of that, and they'll show up at shows. Like, I'm Lainty's cousin. Prove it. You have a new song, Heart Like a Truck. So this is the first song off the next whole project here.
Starting point is 00:50:50 So tell me about Heart Like a Truck, because you wrote it, and I'm always curious, you know, when you get into a room, where the idea of this song comes from? Well, you know, I think the last few years everybody has been put through the ranger in one way or another. And so while we wrote the song, we were definitely all in the middle of going through some things. But, you know, if there's anything I know about myself and my friends and the people I surround myself with and a lot of my fans that I've met, everybody goes through things in life. but it's not about where you've been, it's about where you're going.
Starting point is 00:51:28 And it's about getting stronger and better for it on the other side of it. So that's really what the song's about. It's about finding your freedom and your strength and not being afraid of your scars and your bruises and bumps along the way and just embracing it. The Friday morning conversation with Blaney Wilson. So you posted a picture on Instagram of a guy with your face tattooed on his arm. Yes. How did that make you feel? I was like, I hope you really like me several years from now because you're going to be living
Starting point is 00:51:55 with that forever. It wasn't just like a little tattoo. I'm not even playing the size of my head on his arm. Like, I put my head next to the tattoo of me, and it was the same exact size. I was like, I'm flattered, but I wouldn't have never done that. Well, now you can't commit a crime or like one's so bad that he's embarrassed to have it. A lot of pressure there now. That's it. That's it. There's a guy, shout out Big Shrimp. He has tattooed my like shoulders, the top of head, and I knew he was doing it. And I was like, I don't know if you want to do that. And he's like, I do want to do it. And he's like, I do want to do it. I was like, it's probably not going to, but it looks great. It looks just like me. Does yours look like you? Yes, it was strange. Isn't it crazy how good they can draw on skin? Oh my gosh, man. I know.
Starting point is 00:52:33 It was, it was unreal. I was flattered, though. But it was so funny. We were in a meet and greet in Duluth, Minnesota. And I hung out with the folks for probably about like 10 minutes, just getting to know them. And then we were leaving. And then he was like, oh, Lainie, come back. I got to, I forgot. I got to show you something. Like that was just the thing he forgot. And he like pulled up a leave and it's like check this out and I'm like oh she ugly that's crazy though isn't it to see that like permanent ladyie wilson is here right now she's just killing it so if i'm to go through just some recent stuff you have obviously a solo number one you have a number one with cole you won acm like new female artist yep and you got the big trophy and you got up you're very you're very
Starting point is 00:53:15 emotional yeah authentically emotional so are you able to like take it in and enjoy it right now at all you get to go home or just sit and just be like, I cannot believe what's happening, or is it still just kind of going so fast? It's been going fast, but I've been definitely trying to make sure that I take a moment, even if it's for 10 minutes, just to sit there and be like, wow, look how far we've come, and we're just getting started. And I'm just excited. I have an incredible team and family, and everybody has just supported me. Like, and the love that I feel from Nashville right now and just from radio in general and like the fans it really is crazy i it's hard for me to even put it into words because i truly feel like they have just embraced me for me and i can't be
Starting point is 00:54:02 anything other than myself so it's a good feeling to be able to do these things and and do it by being me you were a rodeo flag girl yeah so tell me about that what what does that constitute so me and my sister we were PRCA rodeo flag girls we would ride in with the american flags i'd sing the national anthem get the words wrong every time because I was so nervous and you never live that one down lord um but yeah so I grew up doing that kind of stuff like my daddy's the the treasurer of the rodeo committee and and and stuff like that so grew up on the back of a horse before I could even walk I think you know what's going to be cool for you is when people stop asking you about Miley Cyrus yeah because that you know and I think with Cole it's funny these two stories I think people are just now
Starting point is 00:54:48 starting to not ask Cole Swindell about doing merch for Luke. Yep. Because that was his, that was the first story that people were like, okay, this is interesting. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I know Cole's like, oh my God, if somebody asked me one more time about doing merch, he doesn't say it on the air, but, and I don't ever,
Starting point is 00:55:01 sometimes I'll make a point on the air to go, hey, I didn't ask you about Luke doing merch. Yeah. But are you finding now that you've had such success that people aren't as much asking about the old crutch of the Miley's Irish thing? Yes, it's interesting. Like, I mean, you know, it's fond of,
Starting point is 00:55:18 talk about, but my lord, that was a long time ago and, you know, been there, done that. What I love about your story is you would drive back home to make money to play in clubs and bars there to come back and then stay in Nashville and try to make it. You know, I mean, that's true testament to the hard work that you put in. And I guess my question is, because you've always had a very specific style. It's kind of like a country hippie type thing. I hope that's not offensive to you. Heck no.
Starting point is 00:55:45 Okay. And I know that you would go and try to, I'd say, like, where do you find these clothes? You'd be like, well, I go to this thrift shop. I go to this thrift shop. But now do you have people reaching out going, I can actually style you because, you know, I like what you're doing and I can, we can do. I mean, is that happening now? Yeah, so I have these two girls that I work with for like award shows and stuff.
Starting point is 00:56:05 And they put outfits together for me, Julie and Jerry. And they are incredible. They like take what I do and just kind of like elevate it a little bit. But for the most part, every other day, like I have people. send me stuff, they'll send me some bell bottoms and stuff like that, but I still dress myself. I mean, like, this is it. I just throwing a bunch of stuff that don't match and like, you know, if I don't feel like doing the top of my hair, I put on a hat. If it all doesn't match, though, it matches. That's what I've learned. If it all doesn't match.
Starting point is 00:56:33 We were, Caitlin and I were at the mall in Las Vegas. I think we were doing the IHart Festival in Vegas, and we had decided to go walk around one of those fancy malls in the casinos. And so I've got on a pair of like razorback shorts, a cut out shirt that's from some free shirt. I got some flip flop. I got a hat. And Kailen is always very, she puts herself together. She loves fashion. And we walk in and the guy's like, I talk to me to me. He goes, I love your style. And she looks to me like, what is happening? But it was so bad that I think he thought it was purposeful for me. So that's when I learned. As long as everything doesn't match, people will think that matches. You did it on purpose. Yes. Not saying that's you, but that's my one. And I didn't let her live it
Starting point is 00:57:12 down forever. I was like, hey, I'm Mr. Stile this weekend, so if you need notes to let you know, listen, I'm super proud for you. Thank you, ma'am. You know what? The first time I met Lainey, I think I messaged you on Instagram. This is three or four years ago. And I said, hey, you're doing that Blanco Brown dance in the video. You know, the get up before it was like a big radio song. I said, hey, could you come over to my house and teach me how to do that? And she was like, yeah. And she goes, I'll just call Blanco and he'd come over too. And so they both come over. they teach us how to do it. And then she didn't even ask to be in the video.
Starting point is 00:57:43 She's like, I taught you. You can just do it. And so our video, you know, did get a few million views. But I remember Lainey just hanging out at the house. And I was like, dang, she's not even like trying to get in the video. Like, she's so cool. She just wanted to make sure. She even brought Blanco.
Starting point is 00:57:56 And, like, that was the first. I was just glad to be there. Yeah. It's just so fun to see you killing it. You got a new song out today. Now, they say first on the album. Is there any sort of time frame on one? more music comes out?
Starting point is 00:58:10 It will definitely be this year. It'll be later this year. We just got out of the studio and we're still, you know, tying up some loose ends and stuff. But, man, it's a step-up, and it's not just because I'm partial. I mean, it's like,
Starting point is 00:58:22 I feel like I've just grown a lot as a human in the past few years and definitely as a songwriter and artist too. So I think we all have just grown, so I'm excited for the rest of the world to hear it. I'm going to ask you one final question. If I go to your house
Starting point is 00:58:37 and you have open your refrigerator, What are the three items that I find in your refrigerator? Oh my gosh, right now. Right now. Probably something from three weeks ago. I've been trying to drink these, like, core protein drinks. For what reason? Just because we've been so dang busy, like, I don't have time to stop by Starbucks and get my macho all the time.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Like, I need to, you know, fuel my body somehow, and that's the easiest way. You might find some, like, leftovers from, like, outback or something, the Alice Springs chicken. Oh, that's where you go, huh? the Alice Springs chicken. Oh, gosh. What else are you going to find? A lot of condiments that have been there just for like, it's embarrassing. Yeah, because you don't have to throw them away.
Starting point is 00:59:16 Like how many bottles of ketchup do you really need? Lany Wilson, she played her IHart Country Festival, and Eddie had declared you were the best performance of the night. Yes, and you are now one of my favorite country artists of all time. Of all time. Yeah. It's really cool. But you're partial because we got to spend a lot of time together. I mean, in the last few weeks, we spent a lot of time together.
Starting point is 00:59:35 But, I mean, just talking to you right now, I think everyone understands why you're so good at what you do. Your story, your talent, your voice, you're just all of it. So amazing. Thank you. Ram trucks, they were all over the Iron Country Festival. A great performance from Dirks, Marin, and Lany Wilson, who's here. They were also showing off a brand new model, the ram truck in the arena. A special RAM 1500 built to serve firefighter edition.
Starting point is 00:59:57 And Eddie and Lany shot a video before Country Fest where they hooked up a local firefighter with a trip to the festival. That's awesome. We do. We do. Amazing. That's a lot of fun. She was good, too, man, on camera. No, it was fun.
Starting point is 01:00:06 Next stop, movies. Oh, hey, you never know. You never know. Laini, you're killing it. It's great to see you. Thanks for bringing in the new song today. And I'm sure we will see you soon if you're ever in town. Congratulations.
Starting point is 01:00:19 And we're just all big fans. I love y'all. Thank you. Starting point is 01:03:59 According to a new study, we make bad decisions after a long day at work or generally just when we're tired. Now, mental fatigue makes us, well, tired and make bad decisions, but especially when it comes to spending habits, we spend a lot of money when we're exhausted. We're just like, ah, screw it, just buy it. That's generally the attitude. We don't put enough thought into, well, if I buy this, I won't be able to do this. It's just like, ah, screw, just buy it. I'm tired. 100%. And I don't know. I don't know about you, but something about it just gives me a little burst of energy when I buy something.
Starting point is 01:04:31 Not healthy. Not healthy at all. That's from the Huffington Post. For me, it is way too easy to use like the Apple Pay, which I have on my phone. Oh.
Starting point is 01:04:42 I just go double-click. I like that. Double-click. I'm not even tired. It's way too easy to do it. Oh, yeah. It's great. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:04:48 This is where we're different. I'm like, I don't like that it's that easy. And Amy's like, no, no, it's wonderful. It's amazing. The technology is great, yes. Right. My Amazon count's been down because, I don't know, keep getting hacked or something.
Starting point is 01:05:00 and I haven't been able to shop on Amazon from my phone. And I tell you, I've saved so... She's breaking out. She's going to withdraw. No, but I've saved so much money. It's crazy what I haven't ordered. Amazon or Target? What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:05:13 Both are places you go in and you get things you don't even really plan. Oh, yes. But what's the bigger weakness now? Well, I guess I'd have to physically go to Target. I'm saving all kinds of money because I'm not going, and then I'm not... I can't log on Amazon on my phone. But if you're on Amazon or you're in Target.
Starting point is 01:05:27 Oh, I spend way more at Target. You do? If I'm there, yes, because she's... It's just all right there in front of my face. Also on the news, the average American chow's down on. Amy, how many hamburgers do you think a year that the average American eats? I don't go two a month, 24. Oh, that's a good way to do it, two a month.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Yeah. 60 a year. Oh. So I would say, what's that? Like basically four a month? Yeah. 40 and then two times. Yeah, basically four a month.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Yeah. So the average American eats 60 burgers a year. That's one a week. Eat one burger. You probably don't. I don't, but my, like someone, my son might. He loves hamburgers. Eat a burger a week, Eddie?
Starting point is 01:06:05 I've had two so far this week. Okay, so you're making up frame me. Yeah. That's from study finds.org. Thrifting is surging in popularity. Now, here is the wheel I was talking about in the T's. So in a new poll, 93% of people say they're willing to buy or have bought secondhand products. It's been increasing every year since 2017.
Starting point is 01:06:25 So it's people going, I want to save money. I don't need to buy it new. I will buy it secondhand. Now, the problem is vintage, I'll put finger quotes on it, has started to be really expensive. Yeah, because it's cool. Well, it's cool to say vintage now. It's in style.
Starting point is 01:06:42 So secondhand has gotten more expensive too because they can just throw the word vintage on it. Wow. And so, I like vintage stuff, music vintage stuff. I have some old shirts. I just bought an ACDC sweatshirt, a vintage ACDT sweatshirt. This is highway to hell on it. Now I'm scared to wear it.
Starting point is 01:06:58 Because it says the word. It says hell on it. Well, because it's talking about the place hell. But that's a very famous album song. Amy, can I pull off Highway to Hell sweatshirt? Yeah, you can scratch it out. Permanent marker. No.
Starting point is 01:07:10 It's a vintage shirt. It's like an 80s sweatshirts is Highway to Hell. I try to solve your problem. If you're uncomfortable wearing hell on a shirt, then you scratch it out. Or like get red and so over it. Can I wear it? Yes. It won't look weird if I'm wearing a shirt that says ACDC Highway to Hell.
Starting point is 01:07:28 It's me here. Okay. It's not lunchbox already. I mean, I guess it's probably. They can wear mud flaps with that naked woman on it and they're fine. But we're talking about me here. Oh, you cannot do that.
Starting point is 01:07:37 No, right, right, right, yeah, yeah. Right, right, right. Are you much of a thrifter or vintager? Yeah, I like vintage and thrifty things. Like, I like eclectic things for my home. And then, yes, I love vintage teas like you. I prefer when you buy them and hand them down to me. Well, because we kind of do the same size.
Starting point is 01:07:54 Yeah, that's what we do. Well, no, we don't. We don't. I have two of your old. vintage teas and they fit me perfectly. That was probably right after dancing with the stars and I was really thin. Okay. Look at me now.
Starting point is 01:08:05 Oh yeah, that's sure it's not fitting her right now. Right now I'm pretty healthy, pretty fit. Eddie has the idea, he just goes into my closet. Yes. And I'm the opposite. The clothes are just a little too tight for me. David Blaine, full of crap, by the way. Here's a story.
Starting point is 01:08:23 He's doing a Las Vegas residency, but he's only working one week in a month because this show is so intense and physically demanding. So one week in a month. You're going to tell me this show is more demanding than somebody playing in the NFL. Yeah, come on. They play every week. And they're getting... Bam, bam, boom, down, bam.
Starting point is 01:08:39 It's probably very demanding. But I'm just not going to believe that this guy, David Blaine, has a job that's more demanding than a middle linebacker that plays for the dolphins. Yeah. But how old is he now? I don't know. He's a vampire. They never grow old. Oh.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Yeah, I don't think he ever gets older. David Blaine, extreme illusionist. Here we go. 49. That's nothing. Tom Brady's that age. Yeah, but Tom Brady's a unicorn. Okay, so?
Starting point is 01:09:05 He's like a rare. Okay, now she's turned into a romance novel. Yeah, here we go. He will only perform one weekend per month for three months. It's from Peeble Magazine. It sounds to me like you only wants to work one weekend. One weekend a month for three months, so he's doing three shows. I should say that about this show.
Starting point is 01:09:18 You know, guys, we're only going to work three days a week now because it is so emotionally and intellectually demanding. You'd be full of crap. Let's see what the company said. Kentucky coworkers have done lottery polls for more than, a decade. Lunchbox of stories from you from WLKY. They have finally hit it. The lottery pool.
Starting point is 01:09:36 I try to get you guys to do a pool and you guys are never for it. And these stories right here tell you that it works if we would just do it, if we would have been doing it for years. By now we probably would have hit, but you guys are always like, no, I'm not doing a pool. I'm against it. And you guys just raise your nose. Why are we all pirates in your fantasy?
Starting point is 01:09:53 No, no, it's not a fantasy because, you know, you only do it on a big drawing. We have to be consistent and do it every single time. Some Kentucky co-workers have been playing the lottery together for more than a decade. They have finally won. Kentucky lottery officials, and wait for lunchbox's reaction after I tell you the amount here, said that 17 coworkers in Frankfurt won a powerball prize of $50,000. Oh, divided by 17. Yeah, that's why we don't do it, dude.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Oh, sorry, Eddie. You couldn't use that. Couldn't use that. Each person won about $2,000. Before taxes? After. Before. But I wonder how much they won.
Starting point is 01:10:29 That's great. Right. But it's. Not life-changing. But they've also spent, no, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying they spent a lot of money too. They're probably ahead now. Oh, maybe.
Starting point is 01:10:38 Maybe. Maybe. They're happy they won. That's cool. Sure. That's cool. Finally, the cops arrested Johnny Cash water tower shooter. They did.
Starting point is 01:10:46 Police in Arkansas arrested a man they say was behind the shooting of a water tower that had the silhouette of Johnny Cash. The bullet went right through the wiener hole. So the water was coming out of the wiener hole. It's hilarious, but not hilarious. But hilarious. Timothy Sled charged with criminal mischief and impairing the operation of a
Starting point is 01:11:02 vital public utility. Officials say the tank lost about 30,000 gallons water. The tank to repair is about $5,000. So hilarious, but not hilarious. But hilarious, but no do it. Is the judge go easy on him? Because it's hilarious. The judge, I don't
Starting point is 01:11:18 know that he's actually had been tried yet. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So he'll probably just do some community service. Okay. On the water tower. That's a situation. All right, there you go. that's the news. Bobby's big. Stories.
Starting point is 01:11:32 I am a Harry Stiles fan. I'll say it. I'll say it loud, proud. I think Harry Styles is awesome. I don't care that he was in one direction. I think if he were just to come out now, he'd be like a rock star and not a guy who used to be in a pop boy band.
Starting point is 01:11:44 So Harry Styles has a new album out today. This has gone viral again. It's a fan that was so excited to see him perform on the Today Show. She was crying during a sound check. And then during the show Carson Daily says, hey, you got tickets and VIP to his Twitter. and this is what happened when he told her that. But then I'm going to come to you guys.
Starting point is 01:12:01 When you were kids, who would you have freaked out if you got to meet? Here you go. Mary, we noticed during sound check you were crying. Mary, Harry noticed that you were crying. And he'd like to give you VIP tickets. No, I'm not kidding you. That's from Mr. Stiles. No problem.
Starting point is 01:12:27 Mary, it's too bad you don't have any enthusiastic fans here today. I'm sorry. I mean. Breathe. Breathe. I can't. Okay, we got you. You're okay. You're okay.
Starting point is 01:12:37 We got you. They just keep pressing. They're like, well, no, actually, you're going to go spend a week. And then she just dies. Yeah. She just keeps pushing. Gives her more and more until she just. So as a kid, if they were to say, hey, you get to go meet this person.
Starting point is 01:12:50 Mine would have been David Letterman or Mark Grace, the first baseman for the Chicago Cubs. I'd probably peeved, cried, all that. Amy, you? Patrick Swayze. Oh, how old, though? Because mine would have probably been, like, 12 years old. Patrick Swayze for you, though. Yeah, I mean, I wrote him.
Starting point is 01:13:05 a letter when I was like second grade. Eight? Yeah. I mean, and it continued. My favorite movie was dirty dancing or one of my favorites, that and pretty woman. But he, oh, he was so everything. And the thing is that my mom told me she sent the letter, but I found it later as an adult and never got sent to him.
Starting point is 01:13:24 So I still have it. You probably would have got to meet him and hang out. I enclosed my second grade picture and everything. That'd have been so creepy if he'd have seen that picture. I've been like, I got a meter. And he kept it. He's like, I got a picture. Wow.
Starting point is 01:13:34 I'm really. Lunchbox. Oh, that's easy. Cindy Crawford. I mean, the way, I mean, her modeling poses and everything she did on Sports Illustrated and other magazines simply just, whew. You said, oh my, but Amy, I think you had the same feeling about Patrick's way. You just said it. But it's the same thing.
Starting point is 01:13:52 It is. Yeah. You sent him your picture. Like, hey, look at me, Patrick. My school picture. No. I was trying to be like. Can you imagine lunchbox sending Cindy Crawford his picture.
Starting point is 01:14:00 It's a little floby haircut. Hey, I know you hear this voice, but I'm only. 11. Eddie? Yeah. Oh, mine's kind of embarrassing. Garth Brooks. For sure.
Starting point is 01:14:10 Like, I totally would have done exactly what that girl did with Harry Styles. I loved Garth, dude. I was the biggest fan ever. 10, 11, 12 years old. You used to wear those shirts that Garth wore on his albums.
Starting point is 01:14:20 His album shirts. I had the fire shirt. I had the black and blue rope in the wind shirt. And I always wanted the chase one, the one that was white and black. Never could find that one. Hey, Morgan, what about you?
Starting point is 01:14:30 Oh, it would have been Shania Twain all the way. Like, even just getting to touch her hand out of concert. I melted. I told you all. Like, I wouldn't wash my hands. Like, if I got to meet her, it would have changed my life. I'm assuming you never got to go on that show, superfan. No, I didn't. I didn't. It never called you back. No, it didn't happen. I wasn't that big. Yeah, unless she had to sign like an indie A to not talk about it. So that could have happened
Starting point is 01:14:54 too. We just don't know yet. All right. Well, Harry Stiles, new album's out today. Man, his new song is really good. It's been out for a few weeks, too. I'm a Harry Stiles fan. I'm proud to say. I guess I'm not that proud because I'm like nervous about saying it. Yeah, because you've already said it like a couple times. Hope everybody has a good weekend. Lunchbox. What's going on with you this weekend? Oh, man, you know, my New Year's resolution was to grill more, like, because I see Eddie grill and he's really good at it. I'm not very good at grilling.
Starting point is 01:15:18 So I went to Home Depot, got me a new grill. So this weekend, I'm going to get the Trigger grill out there and I'm going to start grilling. How does your wife feel about that? Well, she likes it because that takes some of the pressure off of her of cooking in the kitchen. She's like, hey, why don't you grill more? And I'm like, yeah, you know, it's just a lot of work. You know, my grill was really crappy.
