Come on, Bobby, Mom, Friday show.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Let's go around the room.
What'd you bring?
Amy, I'm going to go to you first.
Give me your news.
Okay, so this story stood out to me because my sister was giving birth to one of her.
kids and she asked for an epidural.
And she was like, I still feel
everything. And it's just supposed to be numb
from the waist down. And she's like, I'm in
a lot of pain, but the epidural was in her back.
So she had already asked for one. They'd already given it to her,
but it wasn't working. Yeah, she couldn't feel anything.
And then
the nurses switched rotation, like the 12-hour shifts.
And one nurse walked in was like,
oh, uh-oh. We forgot to...
Oh, you never went to hear, uh-oh. You never want to hear out.
Like, because there's a little knob that will keep things
from flowing through the tube. So
it wasn't ever reaching her body. It was like,
in the bag, but yeah, it was blocked.
So anyway, this story stood out to me for a little bit of a different reason,
but people were undergoing procedures at a fertility clinic with no pain meds.
And they just thought, okay, I'm in a lot of pain.
Like, what is happening?
Imagine if I didn't have this pain medicine, how bad it would feel.
That's what I would be thinking.
Like, this really sucks.
Good thing I'm on pain medicine.
Well, a former nurse had been stealing fentanyl from the facility and replacing it with saline.
So all the patients were.
saying like, hey, I'm in extreme pain.
I'm in extreme pain, but they're like, well, we gave you the meds.
Yeah, stop acting like, you just want more medicine.
Right.
This kind of happened to me one time at the dentist where they kept putting shots in there and I'm like,
I still feel drilling.
And they're like, okay, we'll do some more.
They had to come back like three times.
I thought that happened too, but I don't think it happened to how you're saying it.
No one replaced the shots with like the fruit roll up.
I never thought about it until now.
It wasn't like they were popping you.
Okay.
Isn't that crazy?
That's crazy.
So she has to go to jail for a long time.
I mean, yeah, I don't know.
There's about 70 patients who have come forward at this point.
And what sucks is this establishment facility is in trouble because of one person that was stealing and got everybody sued.
Crazy.
Okay, Eddie.
So Green Day, the band Green Day, is selling a bunch of stuff, a bunch of their gear.
So they're kind of doing a little pop-up shop on a website.
They're saying, hey, we got hundreds of gear that we use in the studio, guitars, amps, all this stuff.
And you can buy it on reverb.com next week.
So that's kind of cool.
a Green Day shop, whatever you want.
Mike D's over. They're getting excited.
He's panting like Stanley does
after he runs a block.
That's pretty cool.
Lunchbox. Oh, Heidi Klum's daughter
named Lenny Kloom. She's 19 years old, and she's a model
that's skyrocketing in the
catwalk world and the lingerie.
You should make that up, the catwalk world?
And she's skyrocketing? What does that mean?
She's skyrocketing in the catwalking?
They said she is a 19-year-old budding catwalker.
That means she is on the verge of superstardom
because she's so hot and she's so good.
Because her mom's Heidi Klum.
No, she's really good at her job.
And she just signed with an Italian lingerie company.
And she just debuted the bra and panties.
And let me tell you, they look great.
So if you are looking for a good present.
She looks like a child.
In your eyes.
My eyes are what?
She is a child.
No, it's the Italian lingerie company.
It's a miss me.
And so if you want to Google that and find that for your significant other.
Letty, look at this.
No.
How old is she?
She is 19.
Is Seal her dad?
Or who's the dad?
No, her dad is.
Oh, it doesn't matter.
I don't matter.
A billionaire Flavio Briatore.
Yeah, duh, of course.
Flavio Briatore.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, he's been looking at that picture since we got to work.
Oh, that's what it's been here?
Yes.
Flavio 73.
She's now married to like a rock star, right?
Like a younger guy.
Heidi, I don't know who she's married to, but man.
Okay.
I'll move on.
You want me to do a different one?
I got a good.
No, no, no, we're good.
Heidi Klum is married now to Tom Collets.
Do you know what bandies from, Eddie?
Tom Collets?
Mm-hmm.
No.
Tom Collets is from the Tokyo Hotel.
Never heard of that band.
Eddie, would you date her?
Have you heard of that band?
I've heard of the bottom.
I'm not looking at that picture.
We're moving on.
D.C. police have arrested a 19-year-old man for carjacking his Uber driver,
and not because he was like there's a car I'd like,
or that's an Uber driver I don't like.
Detective say that the guy goes up and he's like,
my dog's coming with me.
The guy's like, no.
Can't bring your dog?
He's like, I think I need to bring my dog.
He said, nope.
He spreads him with a mace.
He spats his face.
So then he assaults the driver,
drags her from the car,
stole her phone, fled the scene in the vehicle.
He was arrested.
So is he an animal lover?
Kind of.
He's, I mean, he's fighting for the dog.
You know, maybe if I'm a judge, I go a little less, because he just needs, does his dog need surgery?
All stuff to factor in.
I think it just needed a ride, man.
Probably.
Probably he just needed a ride.
Yeah, that's it.
That's from WUSA 9.
Okay, thank you guys.
Let's open the mailbag.
You send an email and we read it all the air.
It's something we call Bobby's mailbag.
Yeah.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
My girlfriend of eight months accidentally called me her ex's name again.
This is the second time she's done this.
the first time I thought nothing of it.
We were in a rush leaving the house,
and it sounded like it just slipped her mind.
The last time, we were out with some friends,
and she accidentally referred to me by her ex's name
when telling a story.
Oh, with friends, with friends, with friends.
That sucks.
It's the second time in two months.
What does this mean?
They dated for two years,
but it's been a long time since they've been together
just a slip, or should I be concerned?
Sign, boyfriend called the wrong name.
Now, this stuff happens all the time.
And sometimes I call Stanley Dusty,
which is my old dog.
It's different.
It is different for sure.
But being out with friends, it's humiliating for him.
Because if you do that, let's say you're sleeping or you're just like, Ron.
Oh God, I'm not, sorry.
At least it's only between you two.
And also, I can't believe they're Ron.
We told you, watch out for Ron.
But that's a tough one because it happened in front of friends.
So first of all, I'm going to say the first time it would have affected me, but I would,
I'm proud of you for not being affected and going, it was an accident because it probably was.
And I think it was an accident at the second time.
but if she's still on it, there's probably something,
unless your name's rhyme or something, there's something there.
Yeah, are they still in contact or?
There's something there.
The friends, oh, it's humiliating.
Does she break up with him or did she break up with her?
I have so many questions.
This is the time for an uncomfortable conversation.
Where you just say, hey, you've called me his name twice.
It really bothers me.
This is how I'm feeling.
What will you tell me about how you're feeling?
And then if her answer is not acceptable,
then it's time to make a tough decision.
Dang, they've been together eight months.
It's a long time.
No, that's why.
That's second.
But I think you're totally valid in having a talk of like,
hey, yeah, so when you call me your ex's name,
it makes her feel.
I'm not feeling so bad.
And then she may understand, like, if you have an ex,
like how it may make her feel if you were just casually like,
you can trade it out.
I'm going to tell you my ex for two months.
Or just do it at dinner next time.
No.
That won't be as good because she'll know.
Yeah.
She'll know why you're doing it.
He does and then looks at her.
Yeah.
Okay, maybe not.
Eddie, your thoughts?
I mean, I just, I think he's got to ask her like, hey, are you still thinking about him?
Like, what's the deal?
Two times is a lot.
And our names don't rhyme.
And what is she can be like, yeah?
I'll think about it.
If she is, all right, then we have to take a break or something because you're not over him.
Oh, that ain't a break.
If she ain't over him, that ain't a break.
Yeah, that's broke.
That's broke.
Break up.
Yeah.
Lunchbox.
No, you just call her, you use her, your ex's name, call her that and then say, oh, is that how it makes you feel?
Because that's how it makes me feel.
But I think she'll know what you're up to.
I agree, that's funny.
That's funny.
But she'll know what you're up to.
And then you can't let her get, that's like a free pass for her.
Like, okay, now we're even.
Now we're even.
No.
Or you can set an ultimatum.
Happens again?
You out.
Gosh, but then what if it just accidentally does that?
No, no accident if it's third time.
Oh, okay.
I don't mind.
I wouldn't do that, but I don't mind that thought.
Has anybody in here ever done that?
Is anyone in here going to admit that?
I have not
No, never to Kate Lange
You would stab me to death
Oh yeah
You wouldn't be here
You know you guess would never see me
I would be gone
Would never do that
So no
Never done that here
Never done that here
Nope nope
Never no
Alright wrapping this segment up
Okay
Sorry bad question
No I mean there's girls
I do it all the time
No no no
There's girls I've had over there
I didn't know their names
So I just say hey
But that's I mean that's not the same
Exactly
Yeah not cool
Okay
All right
Have a talk
Be an adult
talk about it.
And if she does it again,
I have for sure be out-y-out.
I might be out-y-out now.
I'm not going to go out of y'all until I have a conversation.
Be an adult.
Put your big kid pants on.
Have a talk.
All right.
That's the advice.
That's the mailbag.
We've got your email and we have the clothes.
Bobby's mail bag.
We're about to get into Fun Fact Friday.
I do want to share this with you because it's kind of been in the news.
But no U.S. president has ever used the emergency alert system.
Like straight-ac.
because it's a federal thing where they push it
and it goes all over the country.
Possibly because that message may
hinder the ability of the media to present live
news coverage. And if they're
presenting news on it, the news EAS interrupts the news
to give news.
So, it's used on a regional
scale to share information about threats
to public safety like tornadoes
or amber alerts. There have been
tons of tests and there have been a few false alarms.
Hawaii was one and the Bobbybone Spectacular
was another one.
But out of all the presidents, though, I would think
One of them would be like, hey, guys, watch this.
You know what I mean?
I would think, hey, watch this, would never happen.
Yeah, because that creates panic, right?
I don't know that it creates panic, but I understand why you don't use it on a federal or national level.
But although the stuff that's happening now in Israel, they were like, hey, something's going to happen.
That's why they're testing the EAS out for everybody, and then that starts to happen.
But who knows?
Listen, I don't know anything about it.
I'm just saying there's lots conspiracy theories out there.
All right, now it's time for fun stuff, guys.
That's not fun.
That's just informative.
Fun Fat Friday.
I'm going to go first and last.
There have been seven prison escapes in U.S. history where inmates got away with the helicopter.
Wow.
That's crazy.
One landed and took them out.
There been seven in America, eight, if you count Puerto Rico, which is not officially, it's part of America.
The territory.
We own it.
But yeah.
So they were caught every time, though.
So if a helicopter landed and got them out of there, they still got caught every time.
Wow.
That's mine.
Amy Go.
Okay, sea lions, they're super cute, but they're also musical.
They're the only animal that can clap to a beat.
Really?
Wow. Lunchbox can't even do that.
Yeah. Here we go.
No, it's true.
You literally can't clap to it.
I'm going to give you a beat and you match it back, okay?
Almost.
But I bet the seal could do better than that.
No chance.
No idea out of that one.
That's pretty cool.
Thank you, Amy.
Lunchbox.
Baby bears are born in the winter and they stay in their dens until spring.
So every time a cub finishes nursing,
the mom licks its butt to make the cub pee,
and then the mom drinks the pee to keep the den clean.
Wow.
I got lost in the process.
So a butt's and pee.
Just neat.
A cub is born, and they don't come out until the spring.
Okay.
So they have to nurse, and they got a pee.
So in order to pee, the mom licks its butt when it's done nursing to make it pee,
and they don't want to get the din all dirty.
Licks the cubs butt.
Yes.
Got it.
And they don't want to get the den dirty and smelling like,
urine. So the mom drinks the urine. Okay, got it. That would be like instead of throwing away
garbage in the house, you eat the garbage. Yes. Got it. Is that not interesting? Yeah, man. Eddie.
Okay. This is not like that. A single dollar bill costs five cents to make. Oh. So somebody's
making a lot of money on dollar bills. It's interesting. So 95 cents is the profit there. Yeah,
correct. If the government's paying for their own dollar bills. Right. And also, too, the current
US circulation number is
approximately $2.325 trillion
dollars.
That's how much money is out there.
That's how much money is out there.
Money in general. That's like a sub fact.
See, I see it as like they probably just incur the
five cents. Nobody's making any money.
No, I know.
incur the debt. Yes. Well, it's not even debt.
Oh, yeah. The value.
Morgan.
Parks and Rec. The TV show
is originally going to be a spinoff of
the office. So the original pitch was to have
Dunder muffler.
Mifflin.
Sorry.
Don't wonder
how old are you?
12?
Sorry,
it re-corrected.
I think.
Mufflin.
Send their faulty
copier away for repair
and after being refurbished
is then going to be
mistakenly sent to Pony,
Indiana becoming the official
copier of the Parks Department.
That's funny.
And it is very much
the office-type show
and one of the guys in the office
was the creator of the show.
But then they tried to spend off
the Dwight Shrew Farms.
And that didn't work.
Oh, I don't remember.
They did a pot.
Yeah, they did a show.
And they even did one in the office where you go to Dwight's farm and you meet like his nephew and his sister.
And that didn't work either.
But now they're supposedly bringing it back.
Like the office, a reboot, which isn't, I don't know if it's a same, some of the same people, none of the same people.
I don't like that.
I love the office.
My favorite show ever.
But I don't like that they're doing that because it just won't be as good.
Even if it's awesome, it can't be as good.
Because it can't be.
There's just no way, even if it's the best it's ever been.
It can't be as good because of our relationship with.
that show for the past 20 years.
Honest question. Are we running out of ideas in Hollywood?
No, it's mostly that they know
these are ideas that are most likely not to miss.
That's why they keep doing remakes and movies too
because they know, not that they're out of ideas,
there are 10 trillion ideas,
but they know every idea that hasn't been proven
is a risk.
And so let's just do things where for sure
is going to make money or as close to for sure as possible.
Like Frazier just came back and I'm like,
didn't it end for a reason? Like wasn't the ratings going down?
So why bring it back?
I guess people will be interested in it.
Maybe they can shoot it.
It's cheaper.
Who knows?
And isn't the dad dead?
Probably, but that's what happens in life.
Okay.
People die, you know?
So they just pick it up like that's...
They pick it up.
Like, you may...
I don't know.
I don't know that I've seen it.
I don't watch it, but I used it like Frasier.
Final for me, I'm going to do one on the back end of this.
Four non-blonds had a one hit wonder in 1993 with a song called What's Up?
Do you think the fun fact is about this?
Dolly?
Mm-hmm.
Oh, I got it.
What?
The ladies aren't blonde and there's not four of them.
No.
Linda Perry.
Linda Perry. Yeah, but no, that's not the fun fact.
The fun fact is, what's up is never in the song.
What's going on?
That's what they say.
The words what's up's never in the song.
It's called What's Up.
But what's going on, which is what's going on, is actually a Marvin Gaye song.
And that was going to be the name of it.
And they were like, okay, we can't name it that.
So we're going to name it what's up.
Interesting.
That's Fun Fact Friday.
Thank you very much.
It's time for the good news.
Shout out to Sarah Bowen, who was running the Chicago Marathon and saved a kitten on her run and still finished the marathon in three hours and 31 minutes.
So let's break these down individually.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So she's on, she's running the marathon, good for her.
Yeah.
Is that a good time?
Oh, it's a real good time.
Yeah, I didn't save any lives at all whatsoever.
And I was like four hours and 40 minutes or something.
Okay, but that could be a normal time.
Is she like a really good rounder?
No, 330s.
Yeah.
I saw a guy who set the new record
popped up my Instagram. He did like
four and a half minute miles the entire time
for 26 miles. Wow. Wow.
Flying. 26.2 because
that point two is
you gotta count that.
I can't run one mile
in four point in four and a half minutes.
Yeah well and what was really cool is
she was running to support
Team Pauls in Chicago
which is a non-profit dedicated to building
no-kill shelters and so how
She saves a cat. Awesome. If I were them out of me
this publicity stunt and I'd have put a cat out there and had her
save it and then do it to say look at this she did it and that's how my mind would have worked.
Yeah but no this is all like a fellow runner named Gia helped out.
They were able to find the owner of the kitten like right then and there.
It's just all a beautiful thing.
She also could have been very aware because she was passionate about it, saw it and stopped to help the kitten.
True.
But that's not how my brain works.
My brain would have worked the other way.
Plant the kitten.
That's a great.
Mile 10.
Yeah.
So that way we can promote the.
What's wrong with it?
Tell me something good.
Yes.
He gives it to promote the no-kill shelter.
That's not what happened here.
I know.
I know what it could be.
I know.
I just don't want to.
I love it.
I don't care what they did.
As long as the no-kill shelter gets mentioned.
It's awesome.
All right, great story.
That is what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two,
never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.

My next guest, you know from
Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live
and the Big Money Players Network.
It's Will Ferrell.
My dad gave me the best advice ever.
I went and had lunch with them one day,
And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot.
I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent.
He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet.
Yeah.
He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
And he's like, just give it a shot.
He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Just hang in there.
Yeah, it would not be.
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot of luck.
Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast.
On the phone, it's Toby who lives in Texas.
Hey, Toby, what's going on, buddy?
Man, I was calling to see you to get your guys' opinion on concert tickets.
So one of my good friends just bought Beyonce tickets for him and his wife,
and it was almost a little over $8,000.
But I was looking at the surprise of my wife with Morgan Wallen tickets in Houston.
And for average seats, you know, they were like almost two grand.
Together.
Together.
I just don't see.
Yeah, for together.
I just don't see, I felt for two grand I could do a lot more stuff for two grand than buying
concert tickets.
I just wanted to get the opinions on what you guys would pay for concert tickets and what's too much.
It's all relative, meaning if you have a billion bucks,
Maybe you spend $20,000 on front row seats to the Lakers.
But I ain't because I don't have a billion dollars.
With everything that we buy, clothes, cars, the food that we eat, it's all relative to what we make.
Now, there are times that we spend a lot on things, even if we don't have a lot because it means a lot to us.
And people do say investing in experiences and memories is more valuable than like if you were to buy a bunch of things.
Sure, but you got to pay the bills too.
No, no, I know.
I'm just saying, I don't know what the price.
I mean, yeah.
I personally would not pay a thousand bucks a ticket to go watch Morgan Wallen or 4,000 bucks a ticket to go watch Beyonce.
Never.
But also, I'm kind of jaded because I live and work in the industry.
If it's super special to you guys and you have it, go for it.
If it's super special and you have it, go for it.
It's what I say about like when people, like, hey, what do I bet?
How much do I bet?
Because I love draft kings.
And I'm like, if you have it to lose because it's entertainment, then go for it.
I don't care how much you bet.
A nickel?
five million nickels
so it just
where does the value rate
in your heart or hers
and if you have it go for it but I definitely wouldn't
go into debt for it
yeah so
I'm very sure that
well what would your limit be
Toby like for one ticket
Morgan Wallin
honestly I didn't really have a limit
I guess it just surprised me how much
they wouldn't work
well you have a limit I mean
yeah everybody has a limit
yeah and honestly for
for the seats that I was looking at
I was thinking maybe
you know, three, four hundred bucks a seat.
But when I looked at it, it was, you know,
almost $1,000 a seat.
So it's just kind of surprise me.
What show is it?
That could also depend on, where is it?
He's going to the Minamate Park.
It was a redo from...
Oh, the Astros.
Houston.
Last year. Asters, yeah.
Okay, what if I could just get you some seats?
I don't know if they're going to be that good,
but I could probably just call Morgan
and get some crappy seats for free.
I mean, would you want to go do that?
Yeah, that would be awesome.
I mean, I don't know that at first.
I mean, I'll call him, be like, hey, get him tickets.
Give it a shot. Yeah, I know you didn't
ask for it. He just really wanted to know our opinion.
I don't mind doing it for the only thing for people who don't ask for it.
Ray, can we get his information? And I'll just reach out.
And Morgan's always very generous.
So I'll reach out and say, can I get him ticket to my boy, Toby?
And it's like, how do you know Toby? I don't.
Wait, did Toby say, wait, is it something special with his?
Yeah, what's the sob story?
He just had asked me to go see him, and then I started looking at it and
tickets and then. I had originally told her I had to work, so I actually already took off for it.
So I'm just waiting on getting the tickets.
What date is that, by the way?
November 18th. All right, let me work. Let me work. Toby, I can say 65% I could probably do something for you.
I don't know what I can do, but give me a minute, okay?
Yes, sir. Thank you so much more.
Yeah, and just hold. Yeah, just hold. Not on the line. Just hold.
Ray, can you get his information?
Yep.
All right, let me see what I can do here.
I'll play a Morgan Wallin's song because maybe Morgan's listening to be like, you know, I was on the fence about it.
I heard my own song.
I heard my own songs, so I'd do it there.
Trucker Joe left us a voicemail.
Hey, Bobby.
I was calling because I was a firefighter for 14 years.
The answer to can you burn wood in the gas fireplace is definitely not.
It is very dangerous.
You can mess up the piping for the gas line.
And when you use the fireplace, it causes it to blow by you messing it up.
So you might not want to use wood on a gas fireplace.
I'm glad somebody brought this up because I know you guys don't believe this,
but I'm kind of messed up when I was talking about it.
Apparently, it's just a gas starter.
It's not a, you don't leave, I said that, I think, you don't leave the gas on.
Oh, yeah, that's what I have.
Is that a gas starter?
It goes out, and boom, it lights it, and you turn it off.
So that's why we can use it.
I don't know the difference.
Yeah, and we did a lot of research that went home, and I was like, we're going to die.
Lunchbox said we're going to die.
And so we spent a lot of time going over it, but yeah, that was what's up.
The actual thing came back this.
Gas starters, also known as log bars, are a wonderful, convenient, and safe way to start your wood fire.
And that is what we have, and that's what we did, and when I almost smoked out the house.
And thanks for the technical terms there.
Yeah.
The real terms.
Like the cligger dicker?
Right.
You did a little flame on the end of it.
This is Allison from Florida.
I have a question for Eddie and Amy, one of the commercials during the podcast,
was for a teen Uber app.
So basically the teens have it on their phones
and they can request rides or order food
and it goes through the parents account
to verify the request.
Is that something that Eddie and Amy
would do with their teen or do they think
that that's too risky still yet?
Amy?
My 16 year old, yes.
My 13 year old, not yet.
That's too, I mean, it's just developmentally
depends on your 13 year old.
Sure.
He's kind of sort of like eight,
if we really look at it.
So eventually he'll get there.
Eddie?
I have to think about this one.
I mean, I have a 15-year-old,
because that's my only teen.
You're also the most helicopter of helicopter.
There's no chance, Eddie would do it.
At first listen, I'm like, no way, but I don't know.
Did you not do the commercial?
No.
Oh, you did?
I think it's just a commercial on there.
I thought it was you like, hey, I'm Eddie.
I said that.
No, no.
Got it, got it, got it, got it.
Okay, cool.
I would imagine those drivers were vetted maybe a little more.
Oh, yes, they totally are.
And honestly, my daughter's driving, but I might feel better.
If she's ever.
Here is Wendy from Southwest Ohio.
I have a warning corny for Amy.
Why don't cannibals eat clowns?
Because they taste funny.
I like that.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So a study was done to find the most popular travel bucket list experiences.
I can tell you what some of the top ones are.
And I'm curious if you still have anything on your bucket list.
They haven't done yet.
I guess the most popular ones.
Statue of Liberty?
Well, it says climb the
Statue of Liberty. I didn't know you could do that.
You can get in it. Well, you'll die when you do that.
No, no, no. I think they do tours. You can get in it.
You can go to the top. Oh, I thought you meant like climb
outside of it. That's dangerous.
Oh, okay. Well, that makes sense.
I honestly, I thought you just had to look at the statue.
I've just flown over it. I don't know.
Yeah, okay. So that I would say Grand Canyon is cool to see that.
This is stuff all over the world. So I'm sure if that was just you ever.
to be on there, but Clim Statue of Liberty is U.S. on there. One of them you did this summer.
Taj Mahal, India. Did you do that? Nope. Oh. Why did you say that? That's on the list.
That's what I was going to go with next. And I just went with it when she said you did it.
Yeah. Taj Mahal's on the list, but it's something, yeah, you did.
Washington, D.C.'s cool. The mall. Not the actual mall where you buy 21 and Forever 21, but like all the cool stuff.
This is a painting.
Oh, Mona Lisa?
That's it.
It's bigger than I thought.
You never hear people say that.
But people convince me it was so small that it was going to be a postage stamp.
And so when it was like a normal picture on a wall, I was like, it's huge.
Expectations were really set in a positive way for me.
Another one is get splashed at Niagara Falls.
So that's U.S. and Canada.
Yeah, fast.
I want to do that.
That sounds cool.
Sounds so cool.
Fudge your eyes.
We can recreate.
Another thing on the list is check out Times Square.
and then the number one thing is visit the Maldives.
The Maldives?
Oh, is that high?
Those are islands, right?
That's number one, huh?
Is the V's Island?
I don't know.
Listen, I thought it was a flume.
All right.
I have Halloween costumes for couples, and we can say cute or cringy.
Go ahead.
This will give people ideas for what they want to be.
Ken and Barbie.
Cute.
Yeah.
Okay, majority of people say cute.
Kurella DeVille and a Dalmatian.
Cute.
Especially at the dude to Dalmatian.
Hilarias, you idiot.
because I'd do that.
I'd be like, oh, the dog.
I'd be like that, dude.
Kermit and Miss Piggy.
Love it.
Awesome.
That's great.
Okay, Peter Pan and Wendy.
Good.
A little cliche, but good.
It's kind of old, too.
A football player and a cheerleader.
Eh.
No?
Be specific.
Be Kelsey and Taylor.
Did you see that couple that was Kelsey and Taylor like years ago, just by
a happenstance?
No.
Yes, okay, so there was this couple, and their family was having a last-minute party,
and they're like, hey, you have to dress up.
So they just went to their closet and got stuff they had.
Well, the boyfriend or the husband or whatever, he had on, he had the jersey of the guy.
Travis Kelsey.
He's a Chiefs fan.
And then she was a huge Taylor Swift fan, so she just dressed up and they have a picture together.
Wow.
That's pretty funny.
20-20 or something.
I love that show.
Hugh Downs, man.
Rest and peace.
Isn't that cool?
Okay, I love that.
He doesn't watch 2020 Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs?
Oh, Hugh Downs.
Yeah.
The final costume idea, a plug in an outlet.
That's funny because it's like we're putting.
Yeah.
I want to be the plug.
though.
Okay.
All right, go ahead.
Okay, so Jelly Roll had this guy climbing on a roof at one of his concerts and a lot of
people took video footage and all this to say, this guy got arrested because he was doing
something he wasn't supposed to do.
And then Jelly posted online a comment and say, hey, I'm willing to bail him out.
Oh, I saw that.
Yeah.
And I don't know for sure if he did it or he's going to do it or whatever, but it's just like,
oh, gosh, now people are going to be like, oh, I can go to a jelly roll concert, do whatever I want
and Jelly will bail me.
say he's not going to bail everybody out.
He's going to pick the occasional.
But yes, that's it.
I made me.
That's my file.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
There's a university in Washington, D.C.
that has deaf students, and they also have a football team.
So the coaches would signal in plays, but the only problem is the other teams would see the signals and be like, oh, got it.
They get still the signs of the deaf football team?
Yes.
Oh, you know where they're going.
Yeah.
Like the championship. Oh, you mean hell.
No, down.
Down.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So they got with AT&T and they designed special screens inside the helmet that it's a digital screen and the coaches just type it in and the ASL sign language pops up on the screen.
Wow.
So it tells them the play inside their helmet.
Another team can't see it.
That's cool because I thought it was just going to show them what play to run or like you type it in, which wouldn't be fair because you can't do that for the other team.
But if you're just doing the signs that you would do anyway, that works.
How cool is that?
I find a way to hack Netflix into it.
You're going to watch it?
Yeah, for sure.
I would just, you know, practice.
What are you watching?
You're watching the playbook, coach.
And then all of a sudden you look and it's the Queen's Gambit,
watching that in the helmet.
There was a school for the deaf in Austin when I worked for the news,
and I went to cover one of their football games.
It's pretty crazy how it all works.
Even the cheerleaders work on a big bass drum.
And whatever that beat is, that's how they dance or how they do their routine.
Pretty cool.
We had a school in Central Arkansas.
the school for the deaf.
And they had a football team.
And they were pretty good.
And all the kids weren't 100% deaf,
but some of them were.
But yeah, it was a lot of vibrations.
Yeah.
This is how they communicated.
That's really cool.
They developed that for that football helmet.
Pretty awesome.
Maybe we can use that for stuff like me.
Kind of blind?
Who knows, man?
And my glasses.
That's right.
You know, where I can watch Netflix in my glasses.
I'm still annoyed at the other teams, like, doing that.
Looking and being like,
These are adults probably coaching
And they're like, okay guys, we've got to figure out
What these hands are so we can cheat
Well, their jobs depend on them winning
Yeah
I start justifying the cheat. Okay, that's it. Lunchbox's great story
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
John Party and studio coming up
He's going to play a Christmas song too. Is it too early?
No, never too early. It's not too early. It's never too early.
Multiple employees of a Hardee's in Indiana
have been charged after stealing money from customers
to bail out inmates at a local jail.
Hmm, wow.
Robin Hood.
You know, that's not really how I had to find that, Eddie.
Stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.
Yeah.
I always thought Robin Hood was awesome as a kid.
But then now as an adult, I'm like, don't steal.
Yeah, he's stealing.
Some of those people that were rich probably worked hard for it.
Now I want Robin Hood to be somebody who steals from people that were passed down money through wills.
Oh, no.
Oh, you're bad.
No, no.
I want people who did that.
Yeah, yeah.
So the La Porta County Sheriff's Office has charged 10 people and arrested nine of them in this scheme because they worked out of Hardee's where they would steal money and then bad.
I'll add inmates.
Wow.
In total,
10 suspects are facing
20 felony charges.
It's all the money charges.
They're still looking for one of them.
I mean,
but I feel like you'd have to steal a lot.
Isn't bail expensive?
Oh, it's expensive.
A total of $14,700 was charged fraudgently
because they were still in the numbers.
Oh.
I don't take a picture of a card.
And then these people would be like,
these are my charges.
Oh, I didn't have a jail.
I didn't bail somebody out of jail.
So that is wild.
The inmates would then bond out of jail
take the jail issued debit card
with the extra money left on it,
withdraw from the 18,
then it had that money.
It's just a crazy scheme.
Wow.
Like, not smart,
but intelligently thought of
because it worked.
Why don't you use that
in a place where you could actually
do something legit, you know?
It's like,
I'm making a radio out of baloney in prison.
You're like,
why don't you do this for you with the prison?
It's been amazing out of prison.
All right, let's go over to Amy
with the Morning Corny.
Morning Corny.
What do you call a bee
that can't make up its mind?
What do you call a bee that can't
Make up its mind.
Maybe.
Maybe.
That was the morning corny.
On the Bobby Bones show now.
John Party.
John, what's up, buddy?
What's going on?
Today's a big day because we got this song from you and Luke Brian called Cowboys and Plow Boys.
Who's who?
Are you the Cowboy?
Luke's the Cowboy and all of it.
No.
You can wear the cowboy hat.
Yeah, I mean, the point of the songs were both kind of the same.
It's just Cowboys.
and farmers.
It's a fun,
fun kind of
just an anthem kind of style.
Yeah,
no, I know.
Just Batman and Robin,
Cowboys and Playa Boys.
Luke and Robin,
that's right.
Luke and John,
you know what I mean?
So now,
do artists ever record songs
at the same time together?
Like going to the studio together?
He was there when we did the tracking vocals.
Not vocals.
We tracked the song.
He came in.
He sang his scratch vocals.
Oh, you were there with him when he did it?
Yeah.
He came in.
But when the vocals,
when you get like different studios for vocals,
it makes it easier for everybody's schedule
if they just do it.
Well, he didn't do vocals together basically,
the final vocals.
Well, I remember on John's other duet
that was massively famous called
You Can't Say That in a country song
with us, the raging idiots.
We get it together because we respect to the process.
That's what we do.
Hey, we did it together.
That's right.
I like to.
Amen.
I sing with Ronnie Dunn when we did the...
Amen.
Ronnie old school.
Guy gets on American Idol all of a sudden
Luke can't sing with people, you know what I mean?
I can't.
I mean, Luke is very busy.
And it's hard to get a schedule.
I'm just kidding.
I'm giving Luke a hard time because I can.
Because I only can.
I know.
We love Luke, but he's busy.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what you're saying.
Yep, that's me,

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield.
In this new season of The Girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.
I vowed.
I will be his last target.
He's going to get what he deserves.
Listen to the Girlfriends.
Trust me, babe.

My next guest, you know from
Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday
Night Live, and the
Big Money Players Network.
It's Will Ferrell.
Woo.
Woo!
My dad gave me the best advice
ever.
I went and had lunch with them one day,
and I was like, and Dad, I think
I want to really give this a shot.
I don't know what that means, but I just know the
groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know
it's a place they come, look for up-and-coming
talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet.
Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes,
but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't
feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration.
It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah. It would not be
Right, it wouldn't be that.
There's a lot in luck.
Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
On the Bobby Bones Show now.
John Party.
It's a good song, man.
How long have you had that song recorded, and how long have you known that was going to be the lead single?
We had that recorded for Mr. Saturday night.
Really?
Yeah, and it just didn't work out schedule-wise.
And we thought we were going to do a deluxe thing.
but since the whole
300 song albums are coming out
we wanted to just maybe push it
and build up I don't want to do like a 37 track album
but I would like to do a 20 song album
I feel like that's a good playlist
I feel like it's a good length
a little longer than 14
so we're like we'll push it to the next records
that's what happened
wow so you had that
that has to hurt a little bit
to have a song you really love and you can't even put it
you can't put it on right now
yeah it was tough because the songwriters
were asking and
And Luke was wandering, but it worked out for Luke.
Okay, I know duets are very popular, but Luke had by dirt.
And so it worked out to where it didn't get in the way of other duets that me or Luke had.
I think it's awesome.
I think it's awesome that it came out now.
But I just know if I had something amazing and I wanted to put it out, I would just be like, I can't put it out now.
And what if I, what if I die?
Are you, can you not hide gifts well?
No, I need to give it away immediately.
I'm saying, hey, you want a gift early?
I'm that guy.
I know, me too.
And then I have to feel like I have to get another one because it doesn't count.
You know, you want one on the day and the day before.
I feel you on that.
Got one for my wife right now that I, for Christmas already, that I want to give her today.
It's just like Halloween present.
Because I would want to be like, I want to see you happy right now.
But then I'm like, now I'm not happy because I've got to get another gift for Christmas.
Yeah.
So, oh, man, I forgot about that.
Sorry, I didn't want to bring it up.
And now he's going to keep back.
I know, I know.
Now she's getting a Halloween present.
Yes.
Yeah.
How's everything at home?
Everything's great.
Baby's growing.
Summer's super mom.
She looks great.
Summer, like, been hitting in the gym, really.
She looks amazing.
Presley's amazing.
Everything's good.
Has...
Guys are doing great.
Everybody's healthy.
Have you seen a different side of summer?
Obviously, you have, but one that you didn't quite expect now that she's, like, the mom,
and she's, like, taking a lot of responsibility there.
There's a little bit of psycho, mom.
Oh, it's that part of it.
Oh, I'm like, I'm with responsibility.
Very strict.
Yeah.
Oh, got it.
Now I turn it.
to the kid like, okay, mom.
So she's strict to you too.
Yeah.
I know.
I was like, she put, put me rules.
So.
You know, I'm drinking as much and being more, more there.
So it's been, you know, got to be a pro dad because she's a pro mom.
You need a different name.
I don't mind it.
It's entertaining for me.
That's, that's the immature like I'm mad because she's telling me not to do something.
Right.
you know but now she's a great mom
great mom we have
you know I'm just gonna bail because
we have John party here
we just world premiere the new single
and so we'll talk about the tour in just a second
but I know you guys have all your instruments
you didn't bring them just to look pretty
so so could I ask then
could you guys play another new song maybe
we're gonna play the latest number one
yeah oh wait which one
you're hard of mine yeah that's the newest one
I guess that's what I meant the new one you haven't played for us on the show
I have to go back in the
memory long. I don't think so.
I don't either. But if you have, then we're screwed.
Because if you had, we'd just go like, we'll play it and act like you're playing it again.
Yeah, we'll play that one. Okay, here we go. Here.
Here is the latest, number one from John Party. You're harder mine.
All right, here we go.
Come on, you got sound great. That was awesome.
It's a vibe up there.
Yeah, your voice is so good, dude. I don't know if it's getting better, like, wine.
Well, thank you. I've gotten a lot better.
Do you feel that you've, because you've always been really great and you've always been really
aggressive, too, like scary. You start singing.
I know. I get loud.
It's scary.
But, I mean, do you feel like you're a better vocalist now?
I'm being more serious with health.
I was battling an infection for a long time.
And I really had to learn the stuff.
And it finally went away.
Like a UTI?
No, it was a prostate infection.
It was a weird deal.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
It gets scary.
You're like prostate.
And the doctor checks?
Old school doctor check?
Not fun.
They teach you to be like, you need to straighten up, man.
Had to have that pretty recently too.
How did you think? Like what was the symptom of that?
Do we really want to get into it?
Okay, no.
I just thought, I didn't know that that was the thing.
What?
Prostate infection.
I think anything can be affected.
Sure.
I have nipples.
Can you milk me, Amy?
It was like 12 weeks antibiotics.
Really?
Wow.
Yeah, it was.
How did you know you were sick?
Right.
It was hot.
Do you really want to know?
It was like I was peeing like I was 90 years old.
Yeah.
Well, what's that like?
I don't know.
What?
When you try to go to the bathroom, it's hard to go.
Okay.
And it was weird.
It was out of nowhere.
And I was like, and you could get, there's like 600 like bacteria's that could do it.
And they're all like from weird stuff.
I don't know.
The road life is a weird life.
It just sounds worse and worse.
Like I had to go, I've had similar things.
I had to go to the doctor and get the whole thing.
And then he's like, sometimes you're lonely and there's a raccoon nearby.
And you're like, wait, man.
Wait, no.
No.
Lunchbox is already looking it up.
I know.
We're just happy.
You're healthy.
All I was saying was your voice sounds really good.
The road could be tough.
I know.
Pre-diabetes was, I was pre-diabetic.
I had an infection.
It was like literally like I was falling apart.
So I needed to make a change.
And all that were like, that's awesome.
But then you made it sound weird with like,
sometimes you do stuff on the road you regret.
And we're like, you know.
There's 600 bacteria out there.
You know what?
I agree with you.
We'll just leave it up.
We're on the same side.
You keep walking yourself into it.
I'm going to eat popcorn and watch the comments on this one.
Exactly.
Okay. Here's the deal. Let me say this. We're going to come back with John.
John parties here, but also the Mr. Saturday Night World Tour is happening.
And you know you're killing it whenever you have two different legs. And one of them is the North America leg.
I mean, that's really great. You're going over. You're doing all the Europe stuff.
You know, Germany. That's super cool.
We have postponed Europe because of the stuff.
Right. Yeah.
You know, not of the cats out of the bag. But we're going back in April.
So we're still going to be the world.
Oh, you've had to postpone that whole.
I saw you post that.
Yeah.
That's what it was.
Well, I just said that.
Yeah.
You know, but yeah, what?
Save for Bobby Bones.
We got the grease here, man.
We got the grease.
Okay, so you're still going to do all those dates, though.
That's breaking news.
Yes, it was postponed, not canceled.
Breaking news.
Okay.
I ain't back.
I've been wanting to go to UK for a long time.
The fans over there have been great, and they want me to come.
I'm going over.
I'm going to video myself getting on that plane and post it.
so there's facts that I'm coming.
Okay.
Okay, we believe you though.
We do believe you.
We do believe you.
Sure.
Yeah, no, we believe it.
Anyway, let me say this though.
The North American leg still happening though, right?
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
We're still, we got, I don't know, dude.
Just go to John's page.
Now I'm all confused.
I don't know who.
And there's a lot going on.
Yes.
We're going to come back because I want to hear Christmas.
You're doing a Christmas.
I'm not wrong about that, though, right?
Yeah, we got Chris's album.
Still doing it, though.
Oh, yeah.
Chris's show at the Beacon's going.
Sure.
I'll come back.
We'll talk about it.
Yeah.
You never know.
I don't know.
I'm trying not to get any more infectious.
Okay.
All right.
Hold on.
Me too.
We all are every day.
They're everywhere.
They're everywhere all the time.
You never know what happens on the road.
On the Bobby Bones Show now.
John Party.
We world premiered Cowboys and Plow Boys earlier with John Party.
He's here.
He played his latest number one, your heart or mind.
And then I saw where you're putting out a Christmas record, which I think is super cool because
because of exactly who you are.
I felt like there hasn't been a real, like,
country but still progressive country federal Christmas record in a long time. Why did you feel
the need to do a Christmas record now? You know, I love, who doesn't love Christmas? I love Christmas,
and my wife loves Christmas. Summer is like, she's November 1st, Christmas time. And we sit around
and, you know, we just got that feeling of not having a Christmas record when everybody's playing
Christmas songs was kind of really weighing me down. And we kind of had an opportunity to kind of do some more.
there's always opportunity to do more things with the Christmas record these days,
like a little, maybe a Christmas show or just down the road.
So we're like, yeah, we're going to do it.
And we recorded it.
It was me and the band.
We did ourselves, a lot of love.
Like it was our first record we really recorded together.
And we pre-production, so we got together and jam the song.
So it's very, this record is, I would say, mad at a lot of love.
And we did some cool stuff.
We did a honky-talk version of All I Want for Christmas is you, the Mariah Carey version.
Yeah, I was going to ask how many of these are originals and how many of these are songs that you covered?
There's four originals, and we did two standards.
We did Winter Wonderland, but kind of in the Ray Charles version where it's kind of real jazzy.
And we did Let Us Snow, like kind of DeMarves now, just to have some standards.
And like a lot of Chris's record had, if we make it through December by Moira Haggard,
but I wanted to be a little more of like how I grew up.
And I feel like everybody goes through some stuff, you know, some hard time sometimes in December.
And so I recorded Counting Crows Long December.
It's the last song on the Chris's record.
And it's really like a cool piece just to have on a record.
Is that out?
That part's not out of.
We send me that?
I will.
I'll send you.
I'm the biggest counting gross fan of the whole world.
And I also am a mild fan of John Pardy.
So I'd be curious to hear.
Hey, maybe I could turn the mild plus.
Yeah, text that to me after this thing.
That's awesome.
I didn't know that part of it.
Yeah, no, I wanted it.
I wanted something that wasn't really Christmas seat,
but it talks about December because I've been in hospitals in December.
You know, smell hospitals and winter.
You know, it's just so many great lines.
And I wanted to really kind of get out there.
We did a reggae song that's really cool.
It's a very, I'm going to say it's a very good Christmas record
because we put our heart and soul in time.
and we chose songs that weren't normal.
What's this song, Beer for Santa?
Well, that one's kind of self-explanter.
I'm like, it's really, it's really ground-moving,
really reaching out there.
What's this Beer for Santa song?
Are you leaving him one?
Are you saying only have one
because you've got to get back in the sleet?
Beer for Santa is just a fun kind of, kind of real,
kind of, I don't know, it's got a swing to it, a shuffle.
It just reminds me of something that, you know, it's just fun.
Like, instead of Christmas cookies, he's leaving out a six-pack.
Got it.
But take it easy, Santa.
You got it all the work to do.
Take it with you.
Well, but you'll hear one of the coolest, they even thought about that because one of the lines that said, we all know that Rudolph does the drive it.
Why don't you sing it then?
Let's see it.
I don't know what to say it.
Beer for Santa.
Let's go.
We'll clap for it.
That's great.
Yeah.
That was really, dang, you guys are really good at this.
that first time you played that like somewhere yeah we that's fun yeah i'm telling you it's a fun
christmas record october 27 a lot of a lot of upbeat stuff sorry you know i'm sorry you're good
i'm trying to i'm trying to tell them when but how many songs are do you have any songs from it out
now the christmas record i know the whole thing comes out pretty soon the 27th that's what i'm saying
yeah we're not doing the whole we're going to put a speckle out here okay no spickles here no
spicles and sp pickles boom all of it the whole christmas god dang it the whole thing
The whole thing, man.
Okay.
October 27th, the Christmas record comes out.
I'm going to tell you, M.G., hey, man, I told him the whole thing.
He said, no speckles.
No sprinkles, man.
You're doing that show at the Beacon in New York City, which is really cool.
That's like the best time to be up there, too, Christmas, December 16th?
Like, are you going to wear bands wearing Santa suits or what?
It's got to be Christmas themed, right?
Oh, yeah.
Well, I got a Christmas jacket already made.
It sparkles.
We'll have a 15-piece band.
Oh, come on.
It's going to be big, pretty.
I mean, we got two keyboards coming in before just to have the Leslie, you know, and, you know, honky tongue piano.
And it'll be a big production.
It's basically our Christmas, it's our Christmas party, but we're having NYC.
It's one show or only Christmas show.
And when we think of, when I think Christmas for like a family to come or just everybody to come and party, NYC is very Christmassy.
and if nobody's experienced, I think it'll be a cool.
And the Beacon's amazing.
On the Bobby Bones Show now.
John Party.
All right, just so everybody knows, John's here.
We premiered Cowboys and Plow Boys,
which we'll play again at the top of the hour coming up in a few minutes.
We'll play in a little bit.
But John's doing this Christmas show, December 16th at the Beacon,
and the Christmas album comes out October 27th.
So you got a lot to promote.
That's a good thing, because that means things are happening.
Things are happening.
You feel happy?
Yeah, no, we work real hard.
on the Christmas record and I'm happy.
Cowboys and Plow Boys is out.
I guess I meant life.
Huh?
Like in life.
I guess I meant life.
In general.
Oh, yeah.
I'm healthy.
That's something to celebrate.
I'm super happy.
Okay.
Presley's happy.
Good.
That's what I'm talking about.
Like your life has changed a lot in the last two years.
Yeah.
No, it's, everything's really good.
I like that.
You still have the old Bronco?
Still got the old Bronco.
So we've got the California Bronco
And that's just
What year is that Bronco?
Like 78 or something?
78.
Is that the first year of the newer body style?
They only made that
I can't talk.
They only made that Bronco two years.
It was 78 and 79.
It's the big, the big Bronco.
Yeah.
So I have a 77.
It was the last year of that old body style
and we love it.
But it's just like it doesn't drive
as comfortable as like new cars.
Yeah.
So I'm probably going to sell it.
You want it?
I'm good.
Okay.
Those are a little small.
Just making sure.
Those are a little small.
What do you mean small?
Mine's pretty big.
Mine's jacked up too.
You'll be able to sell that.
Well, yeah, I know about it.
I was going to sell it to you for double since you're rich.
I mean, maybe not say that it doesn't drive well.
No, no, no, it didn't drive well.
Compared to new stuff.
That's a good point, though.
Don't leave with that.
No, age is like, and I drive like brand new.
I just need a beer.
Yeah, brand new in 1977.
That's the point.
So let me ask a question, John, since we were talking about this on the show,
did you, and if you did,
would you recommend watching the birth of your child?
Yes.
To both?
Yes.
I watched the whole thing.
Oof.
But natural or C-section?
Natural.
Oof.
Summer pushed out Presley like 45 to an hour.
It was pretty.
Oh, not bad.
Like, once you get used to it, it's not a big deal.
I hear you.
And, you know, Summer appreciated it.
I think so.
You know, I held her hand the whole time.
I was playing music.
So it was a little...
I'm here for Crystal.
Like playing music on a, like a...
Bluetooth.
Yeah, I wasn't.
Okay, but not you.
He's rocking head over boots right next to her.
She's having a baby.
It was a magical moment.
And I used to think, almost like you, Bobby, like, I don't know, man.
That's how I feel now.
My wife's not pregnant, but we're now talking about having kids.
Yeah.
And so I just made the thing I don't want to watch.
I'll put a curtain, like a full seven-foot curtain,
and stand on one side.
But then we start talking about it on the show
where I think Lunchbox, he likes to watch other people's on YouTube.
Like, that's a weird thing.
I can see that.
Yeah.
For him?
Yeah.
Well, I'm in for you.
I can send you a link.
No, no, no, links.
You don't want any links.
Okay.
But it is a special moment, and you're right,
I was right there for summer.
It was, you know, once you see it come out and I cut the cord and...
You cut the cord too.
Yeah.
Were you scared that you may cut it wrong?
No, I cut it too high.
Even the nurse is like, they ain't cut it good.
Do you measure twice?
No, I just went right at it.
Right in there.
But then do they have to cut it even shorter though after you're done?
You want to get too close?
Yeah, I let them do their thing.
Yeah.
Okay.
Were you scared ever?
Scared?
Oh, yeah.
Like the baby's purple and you're like, oh my God.
We had an awesome birth.
There was no complications and very thankful for that.
That's the scariest thing is like when you get to the day.
everything there's so many things that could happen and it went perfect so i we're very thankful for
that and i was glad i saw it and i high suggest if once you're in the hospital of you guys
you know do the thing you'll get used to it and you might you might change your mind just think
of me i will play music i want to do that uh okay playing the play a the bluetooth speaker is
clutch if during birth it's awesome you can play whatever you want you want you don't
You know, it just puts music in the room.
Like, what kind of things were you putting on for her?
Well, I put on some George Strait.
Put on a little heartache on the dance floor.
I was like, that's me.
That's me, man.
You know, threw in a little lo-fi, some chill,
and then maybe some raps, you know,
just kind of whatever you feel like at the moment.
It's an intense moment.
And then somebody didn't want to hear country anymore.
So I played her like the lo-fi.
She likes to where it just kind of chill,
no lyrics or anything.
And then maybe some dinner.
jazz. I don't know.
Try to smooth it out.
He's like, I don't know. I left. I don't know.
No, I was there.
I know. Okay, look, everybody. At John Party, a couple
things. One, tickets.
Can you get tickets to the Beacon Show? Are they already on sale?
Already sold out? It's half sold out.
Okay. Go to the show. That's why I want to talk about
it here. You can go to John Socials
and find the link. Go to the Beacon Show
December 16th in New York City. We've got a lot
of listeners up there. You guys go watch that.
Secondly, the album, the Christmas album comes out October
27th. And the new song, Cowboys.
Plow Boys, which we'll play again coming up in a little bit.
And by the way, I'm super proud for you.
October 24th is your Opry induction.
That is really amazing.
Yeah, I'm excited for that.
That's really amazing.
Like, all seriousness, like, I'm super proud of you for that.
And that is, that's cool.
John Party, there he is.
Good to see you guys.
And let's clap him out of here.
There he goes.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
We always say that, trust your girlfriends.
I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Oh my God, this is the same man.
A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
I felt like I got hit by a truck.
I thought, how could this happen to me?
The cops didn't seem to care.
So they take matters into their own hands.
I said, oh, hell no.

I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Just hang in there.

is the answer. Oh, digestion? Oh. Lunchbox now has four wins.
I'm coming!
Amy Morgan and lunchbox, I'll have four that we won away and Abby F two.
And Amy is irritated. And I'll lie I had to talk for a second, but here's the ruling.
If you would have said, Al, or if you would have said, burr, and you would have said,
Ow, we'd have given it to you because I was saying, be more specific.
But the fact that you yelled hedgehog means you didn't really know it.
Okay, the confusion is, before you said be more specific, I was boned.
So I thought, oh, I'll just start rattling things off
because I thought bird was incorrect.
But if you said be more specific, I would have said owl,
but an owl is a bird.
I hear you.
So I feel like bird is it.
Like if it was a blue jay, would you say be more specific?
Absolutely.
A cardinal, you say, if I said bird, you say be more specific.
Okay.
For sure.
For sure.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
When I hear boned, I'm like, oh, I didn't get it.
So I'm just going to start saying rain.
And if you had gotten mad, like, it was an owl.
Why didn't you give me that?
I've been like, you're right.
But you didn't.
You said hedgehog, so you didn't really know it.
But I had no idea you were going to ask me to be more specific.
I thought, I guess the wrong species.
I know.
And you can blame Ray for that, but you didn't really know it.
I didn't.
You didn't, because you yelled.
If you said be more specific, I would have said owl.
I didn't know that was his.
I know there's an owl in there.
I didn't know that was his friend.
Like it's BFF.
It's back on.
Yeah, we're starting to let me show.
Did anybody understand where I'm coming from?
Yeah, but I think we're over it.
Yeah, we're over it.
You really didn't know it.
You didn't really know it.
Or you'd have been like, no, I'm for sure right.
It's a bird.
You didn't. You went hedgehog.
Oh, okay. I'll give you that.
Thank you.
I just, Eddie.
That's it.
I'm one away from winning.
Easy trivia.
All done.
The end.
Lunchbox, congratulations.
All right.
Guys, I'm just.
It's not a big deal.
There it is.
It's a big deal.
It's fine.
Bobby Bone Show.
Bonehead.
Story of the day.
This story comes us from San Antonio, Texas.
Police got reports of a man
breaking into a house, they respond,
they see the house is broken into, they can't find the guy.
They're like, man, where could he be?
Look all around the neighborhood.
About an hour later, they're back in the house,
and they find him stuck in the chimney.
Oh.
Like saying, oh.
Yeah.
I thought he might be hiding, like, in the attic or something.
I guess he tried to climb up.
Why do you go up the chimney?
Yeah, you go down the chimney.
Or he was hiding.
And then got stuck.
Maybe.
I have such pride.
I'd probably just die in there before I called somebody.
Like if you got a phone and you got to be like,
oh, I guess I'm just going to have to call somebody.
I probably just die.
Wow.
I mean, the cops, I'm surprised they thought somebody was in there still.
Why would they even look in the chimney?
They said they saw a hole in the sheet rock and they were able to look up through it.
And they're like, wait a minute.
That's him in the chimney.
And don't forget to open your flume.
That's the flat.
That's what it's called.
Got it.
I screwed that up.
But there's not an M.
Flume?
No.
Flu.
There's,
but you say it's F-L-U-M-E.
Really?
I thought there was a T.
Let me just see.
If you corrected it.
I don't know.
I don't think.
Because I might be wrong.
I never heard of M-E being silent.
I've heard of one letter being silent.
I've heard of one letter being silent in a word.
Back check.
I didn't know it was spelled with an M-E-A-all.
Oh, yeah.
F-L-U-M-E or?
It says, is it flume or flu?
I think it's just a flu.
Yeah, it's flu.
Some people call it flume.
Really?
Did they?
Here we go.
This is the one we have to be right.
You got it.
I can't believe it's called a flu.
But some people do call it a flume, but most people call it a flu.
Okay.
From madhatterindy.com.
Maybe that's European.
No, I'm sure I just read it wrong.
I didn't think it would be called a flu.
Yeah, yeah, it is.
A flu?
Why they name it that crap?
They should call it a flume.
That feels better.
All right, how did you know that?
Because I have...
Will you Google flume?
I have a fireplace.
And one time I told you I left my flu open.
Oh, let's call flume.
Flu.
And I couldn't figure out why my living room is freezing cold.
the interior part of a chimney
Yeah, it's mostly called flu though
And it gets confused for flume and flute
Some people call it flute
If you call it flute we don't like you
Flume we accept but it's flu
All right, thank you. Lunchbox, thank you for your story
I'm Lunchboxx that's your bonehead story of the day
Lunchbox are you up to no good
In the neighborhood
Got one little fight
My mom got scared
So you're moving with your aunt Nankang Biller
Ant Nung Belair
No I'm asking because
Somebody on the show thinks you're up to no good
because you've been being super nice for no reason whatsoever.
What do you mean?
I have no idea what's going on?
Somebody has come to me and said,
hey, what's lunchbox up to?
Because they're not used to you being generous.
And they want to know if there's something up.
I don't know of anything that's up.
So is there anything that you're planning
where you're going to ask somebody for something,
but you're just kind of leading them into it?
Not to I know of.
Okay.
Amy, you're up.
Okay, so lunchbox offered me his soccer tickets.
He has, I guess, season tickets to the major soccer league team here, the Nashville.
You got it.
You get it.
The Nashville soccer club.
And I want to go to my first game.
And Lunchbox has avoided that for a very long time.
And then suddenly out of nowhere, he's like, hey, just, you know, he texts me.
Which often does he text people?
Ever.
Never, yeah.
Never.
I mean, maybe when he had COVID, I was sending him food and he sent me 15 items to order for him.
all entrees, by the way.
Hey, shout out for you.
The only one hooked it up.
Only one.
So then I get this text out of nowhere that's like,
hey, I'm going to be out of town this weekend if you want to use my soccer tickets.
And I'm like, hmm.
At first I was like, wow, so nice.
And then about five seconds later, my little radar went off of like,
he's either about to ask me for something or he needs something.
There's something up.
What's the something?
No, there's no something.
So what happened is?
Okay.
So what happened?
Yeah. So what happened is
Amy came to me and said,
hey, do you know anybody that has tickets to the
October 21st game? I want to go.
And I'm thinking she wants to take her kids.
Well, me being a man of, you know, charity and giving back,
I'm going to St. Jude this weekend.
So I won't be in town for the soccer game.
And so that text of her asking about the 21st went off in my mind.
I was like, well, it's not the 21st, but it's a Saturday night.
Did you want those tickets?
That was it.
I was sort of couldn't give her the 21st because we'll be there.
So she asked for tickets.
So here are the tickets she asked for.
And she was like, oh, no, I'm going with friends that weekend.
I don't want to take my kids.
No, I didn't say that.
He's lying.
He's lying.
Oh, sorry.
I thought you were taking your kids.
Did he bring all this up so he could say he's going to St. Jude?
Yes, this whole thing was him saying.
Man of charity.
He's like, I have to be out of town because he's going to St. Jude.
But you know what he's doing?
He made St. Jude pay for an extra hotel room for his family to stay for vacation.
Oh, people are fired up about that.
People are fired up about that.
Oh, you know what?
fired up about, they're so, people are so stupid. You know, they're fired up. They,
they can't be mad because I at least donate to St. Jude. They can be mad. They don't
even donate to St. Jude. So if you don't donate to St. Jude, you can't call and complain.
About, about me getting an extra night at the hotel. From St. Jude. From St. Jude.
Got it. Yeah, they put me up in the nice hotel for an extra, extra night. And they were supposed to
check out Saturday morning. And I said, yo, uh, extend that reservation. I'll check out
Sunday morning. They said, okay. Because you're taking the family to have. Because I'm taking the
family and we're going to do things around Memphis and enjoy the
weekend and have a family getaway.
Yeah.
So there's nothing up.
Nothing up.
No, I was just trying to solve her problem from weekend.
But then...
There's something.
There's something.
I found that it's not for her kids.
It was for her and friends.
And you didn't want that?
She didn't want to take her kids.
That's not true.
I just literally asked.
Oh my gosh.
Anyway, I'm done.
I'm tired.
I don't even have my kids that weekend.
We're out of here.
We're out of here.
I'm sorry you don't have your kids that weekend.
Oh, that's terrible.
Yeah.
You all don't understand.
It is a weird feeling.
Yeah.
Check out.
It feels like it'd be great.
Play golf.
I'll take one of those weekends.
Okay.
Have a great weekend.
We will see you Monday.
Bye everybody.
Bob it, bombs.
A win is a win.
A win is a win.
I don't care what I'm saying.
Yep, that's me.
