He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the iHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's happening, our friends? Welcome to Friday show. We're going to start the show today with the game. And I want to bring on Carrie in Texas, who is sitting on hold,
Starting point is 00:02:11 ever so patiently. Carrie, good morning. How are you? Good morning, Bobby. I am so blessed to be speaking to you. How about you? You know, I feel the same way about you. How long have you been listening to the show? I've been listening to the show forever.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Y'all are the best. I wish you'd carry on more often. We should either have it going to lead the show every day. We're going to have a chance here for you, Carrie. We went a $100 gift card. You can spend it wherever you want, but it's courtesy of our friends at the Op Games. And we're going to play Name That Christmas Sound. So how this is going to work, Carrie.
Starting point is 00:02:43 Okay. We're going to have five of these. If you can get three of five, you will win. But you also get to pick a partner here. Now, Amy won last time. I'm going to take her off the board. Amy, I'm sorry. So you can pick.
Starting point is 00:02:54 Oh, she wanted me. Wow. I mean, I'm Mr. Christmas. I want lunchbox. Okay. You want lunchbox? Yeah. I want a lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:03:05 I'll take things woman never said for a thousand, Alex. Baby. Okay. You on Lunchbox will then compete as a team. can you get three out of five? That's the question. Are you ready, Carrie? I'm ready, sir.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Here we go. This is Christmas sound number one. That's a train? Yeah, we don't even need to talk about it. That's a little toy train. That's a toy train. Yay, I got one out of five. That's right.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Chew-Cheer! Wait, we haven't given you the answer yet, Carrie. Hold on. Carrie, you have to say your answer, then say, lock it in. Oh, lock it in, baby. Train, lock it in, baby. Okay. Is it a toy train?
Starting point is 00:03:56 Yes, it is. There's one. Okay. Let's go to number two. That's a hard one to hear. We got that one. What's that one, lunchbox? That's ice skating. Lock it in. Yeah, baby. Ice skating.
Starting point is 00:04:19 Yeah, baby. Carrie, say the answer and then say, lock it in. Ice skating, lock it in. There it is. All right, show me. Is it ice skating? There you go Hey, I love you, bunch box I love you too, you're amazing
Starting point is 00:04:36 This is weird So are you, buddy It's like All right Okay, Ray, play the next one Oh, baby You got it? You got it?
Starting point is 00:04:54 What is it? That's an ice pick, man You're cracking the ice And shh What is it? Scraping the ice Don't say, don't make any noise They have to agree
Starting point is 00:05:03 Yeah, do you want to hear it again, Kerry? Yes, please What do you guys have there? Lunchbox, what is Look, Carrie, it's something, it's where you're chipping ice or snow off of something and then you cause it to fall off. I don't know if it's off the roof or off your car, but you're and then you hear it all, fall off. So I don't know if it's a ice scraper for the car windshield, but that's my best guess.
Starting point is 00:05:36 No, it's not an ice scraper. That was bang, bang, bang. Well, that's why I had ice pick, but I don't know where you use an ice pick and make snow fall like that because I don't live in the snow capital of the world. Well, sir, I don't either. I live deep in the heart of Texas, my name. I know. I need the stars are big and bright. I need the answer and I'll lock it in.
Starting point is 00:05:59 It could be an avalanche. Somebody beaten a turkey. Lock it in. Okay. What? Is it someone beaten a turkey? No. It is actually cutting down a tree and here's the sound again.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Yeah. The leaves. There's a tree. Yay. And who uses an axe to cut down a tree? People getting firewood? We're not in third grade. No, people in Colorado all the time.
Starting point is 00:06:31 Why would third graders use an axe? I meant 300s, but I couldn't think of it. The 300s? Okay. Here is the next one. See if you can name the sound. That's a quick one. I'm going to play for you again.
Starting point is 00:06:42 That was it? Yeah, here it is. Yeah, I got it. What? What? Don't do it again. I mean, it's throwing a snowboard. Oh, she says firework.
Starting point is 00:06:55 He says throwing what? A snowball. I mean, the, and it breaks. Okay, I go with a lunchbox. Snowball, lock it in. Boom. Is it, is it throwing a snowball? It is, there it is.
Starting point is 00:07:09 We have a winner. Yeah! You're amazing. A $100 gift card. The Bobby Bone show, everybody roll. When I think of Christmas music, especially in the country world, number one's Brett Eldridge.
Starting point is 00:07:24 He kind of is the leader. Casey Musgraves because Christmas something's so good. It's just when at Christmas time it's kind of ubiquitous. It's everywhere you go. It's playing on speakers over the top. But you know who's kind of become like a new Christmas? I would almost say expert.
Starting point is 00:07:40 But musically, they just exist and they're doing quality work as Dan and Shea. Oh, yeah. They are always putting it. They don't get the credit they deserve for the Christmas songs. Original Christmas songs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love them. Yes. But they crush Christmas too. Let's open up the mailbag.
Starting point is 00:07:55 You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. Me and my girlfriend have been dating for a little over a year. And I feel like she's the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. The problem is it's always been my dream to live in Montana. She has no interest in ever moving there herself.
Starting point is 00:08:20 I've already been there recently. I got a job lined up. I am ready to move in the spring. I personally don't know that I will ever want to move back. We're going to try at long distance, but I'm not sure how long I can do that, considering there's no talk of either of us moving to each other. I love her.
Starting point is 00:08:37 I want to marry her, but I also want to live my dream. And live my life in Montana. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I currently live in Indiana, so I understand it's a far move and that she wants to be close to her family. Signed Logan. That's interesting.
Starting point is 00:08:54 It ain't going to work. I'm just going to say that before he goes. It's not going to work. It's not going to work. And we can talk about why it's not going to work, but it's not going to work. You kind of have to come to, and I was lucky that my wife now said, hey, I'll make the move. I don't think it was the most comfortable thing for her. I still think it's not the most comfortable thing for her because she doesn't have like a friendship group here.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Yeah, she lived in California. You were in Nashville. Yeah, she went Oklahoma, Houston, California, and she had gone to California. to go back to school to get her master. She got it. She had her new career ready to go. And then she met me. And I was like, well, I can't move.
Starting point is 00:09:27 And had she said, well, I can't either, I would have respected that and I would have been heartbroken. But I would have understood and I wouldn't have forced her. I wouldn't. Right. And you just wouldn't be together. As hard as that is. Right. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:41 Maybe I'd have given it all up. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe I would have. We all would have moved to California. I'm just saying if she is dead set against. it, I just can't see it working because even if she does go, I do believe she will resent you for going if it doesn't turn out to be awesome. I would try to make this as attractive to her outside of a proposal.
Starting point is 00:10:03 Move on up there, have her come visit, do the long distance thing, maybe she actually falls in love with it and it works that way. Cool. Otherwise, bro, maybe you don't need to move to Montana and maybe you can just have a friend that has a place up there or go go stay up there on some weekends. But as if, as is, it's not going to work. Sorry, buddy. Sorry, Logan. That's a tough one. We got your email and we've read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Now it's found to close. Bobby's mail back. It's time for spicy Christmas. Okay, so we all drew. We all drew. And so we have a gift to give somebody. And that would be healthy and loving if we just gave him a gift and said Merry Christmas. But we can't seem to that.
Starting point is 00:10:46 It's always going to be an element. So it can be that, by the way. So, for example, Amy gets a gift first, and Mike threw her name. So Mike will give her the gift. She'll open it. If she likes it, she keeps it. If she wants to trade it in for the luxury up on my desk. Oh, you've got to go luxury.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Right. There's one, two, three. There's six up here. Two of them are spicy. Oh, my gosh. So, one is that hot chip that makes you vomit. It's so hot. It's so hot.
Starting point is 00:11:16 One is that spicy gummy that we haven't opened in months because everybody's scared of it. If you open that, you have to eat it right there on the spot. I promise you, I didn't put any joke in the luxury. That's what I'm talking about. These are all, and if they don't give it away, I'm keeping them. Oh, that's my next question. You can't, like, draw?
Starting point is 00:11:34 No, if you open a luxury gift and you don't like it, even if you don't like that, you can trade it for a nut going again. Oh, my goodness. I love this. I love it. Let's go. I'm ready to play. First up, opening her gift on spicy Christmas.
Starting point is 00:11:48 is Amy. Yeah. Come on, Amy. Merry Christmas, Amy. Okay, here we go. Amy, who's it from? Mike D. Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:55 It's wrapped. So cute. It's a pretty paper. That's black, shiny paper. That's, there's little gold Christmas trees. Wow. That's a baller.
Starting point is 00:12:03 His wife told me she picked this out, and there's no way I'm going to want to trade it. Why would we, why would she spoil that for Mike? Yeah. All right, Mike. I didn't. Let the guy get credit for it.
Starting point is 00:12:13 No credit. Oh, it's lingerie. Oh, wow. What is it? Oh, gosh. It is so cute. What is it? But I actually already have this shirt.
Starting point is 00:12:22 Uh-oh. And if she, if Amy just... I keep it. If you give it, if you trade it, I keep it. Okay. She knows my style so well that she got me a shirt that I actually have. However, the one I have is gray. And this seems to be...
Starting point is 00:12:36 It's an Annie Bean shirt with like an eagle. Okay. Nice shirt. Now, Amy, you already have one, though. But I have the gray and this is kind of green. Spice. Spice. Spice. Spice. No way.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Spice. Amy, are you keeping it? Are you going spicy? I am so... Amy, you don't want two of the same shirt? Amy, you're going spicy? Yeah. I almost died on the show
Starting point is 00:12:55 eating something spicy, so I just can't even risk it. As much as I want the luxury, this is a luxury shirt, so I'm keeping it. Okay, she's keeping it, Mike. Thank you, Mike. Wow, you didn't go luxury.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Look at all those boxes. By the way, we have, of the six packages, there are three in big white boxes. Oh, man. Big three in bags. I can't decide what is what. And one bag is humongous.
Starting point is 00:13:18 Two bags are small. I mean, humongous. Luxury item. Luxury items. Well, wow, wow. All right, Ray is opening a gift next. Ray's our audio producer. He's the guy here early, early in the morning.
Starting point is 00:13:28 Ray, Merry Christmas. Merry Christmas. And you have a gift there, and who's that from? Scuba. Okay, Scuba Steve has gotten Ray. There's two boxes. Here's the first one. Very nice wrapping job, Scuba.
Starting point is 00:13:39 It looks like it's in a shoe box, maybe. Oh. Oh, oh. It's a Nike shoebox. And it is a pair of Nike's, baby. And these are, let me guess, Kyries? They are Harachas! Yeah!
Starting point is 00:13:57 My nephew has them, so I know they're definitely dirty. Okay? That is sick, dude. Like, dirty isn't good. That is really cool. Oh, got to, got it. All right, next gift. Make sure we don't hit the mouse.
Starting point is 00:14:06 This one is in a bag, taking out all the paper. It looks like some chill sweatpants. Oh, nice. Okay. It is taper-leg Nike sweatpants, baby. They are fit exactly. for me. What size are they? They are medium. Perfect. If you trade them in,
Starting point is 00:14:24 I'll take the way it on it. Now you're thinking. And it looks like there's maybe one more thing in here. I like Ray's gifts. I start trying to get you guys and trade it in. There's a few more than there. There is some Harry's deodorant because scuba knows. I love Harry's. Hey-oh. I already had some at my desk, I guess.
Starting point is 00:14:40 Oh, he's all. Yeah, there you go. And the final gift. Man, those ratchez shoes are expensive. Lotion. Good deal, Ray. And it has a song screen. Here we are you. Raymondo!
Starting point is 00:14:51 All right. Do you want to keep it? Because of the Harachas, I have no choice but to keep them. I believe they're very, very pricey. You're not going spicy. Not going spicy. I'm turning it down. Okay, Raymondo.
Starting point is 00:15:05 We have a budget, right? I mean, I really. I don't know who I did by it. Yeah. Not really, Amy. It doesn't sound like he did. I did. Sort of.
Starting point is 00:15:13 Yeah, whatever. Sort of. Next up. Morgan, you have to come over here. Oh, man. I'm not going to get up. Oh, because it's so heavy. Yes, we have a budget.
Starting point is 00:15:20 A mobile pet spa? So they come to your house and they take care of your dog and they spa them and you never have to leave. It's a place we use. It's awesome. What? That's amazing. That is, thank you. I'd go with yours.
Starting point is 00:15:35 I don't know, guys. I've never had a mobile pet spot in my house and Rimi could use a spa day. But you've never had what's in these boxes, guys. So far nobody's gone. That's fun. That spa is who we used too. and so easy, so convenient, they do such a good job. But if you want to trade it, hey, trade it.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Yeah, I mean, no, because, like, there's also, this is a voucher for something, and I'm not going to say what the price is. Except it stayed in the budget. Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure. I bet he did. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:03 I'm keeping it. She's keeping it. Wow, wow, wow. Okay, so no one's going to the luxury items yet. Okay, good. That means you guys are doing great. I hope nobody goes to the spice because that means everybody's happy. That's true, and that's what Christmas is all about.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Yes. Now, no, no, if the gifts are bad, you know, like where it's like, oh, that's not even worth. So what's the rule there? If somebody purposefully gives a bad gift, they must eat the chewy, the hot chewy. That's where it gets crazy. If they purposely give a bad gift, just a... That one's more toxic than the chip. And who decides that, most?
Starting point is 00:16:36 One man panel. Got it. Oh. Abby, come in, please. Final person for this second. Come in here? Yeah, come in here, please. You're not letting her sing, are you?
Starting point is 00:16:45 There's no need for that But she's gonna open the gift where the cameras are Oh, gotcha, okay Here comes Abby, who is She produces so many things, she's the phone answers the phones as well Abby's now opening her gift Oh my god, oh my
Starting point is 00:17:01 What did it say? A Nate Smith t-shirt! Oh, Nate Smith, the artist. That's your dude. That's the guy you have a crush on. She didn't say she had a crush. I did not. Nice job.
Starting point is 00:17:15 Is there one more? There's one more, so it's coming in the door right now. Coming to the door right now. There's something else too. What is happening? What on earth? What is the Nash? It's got the Nashville Predator, NHL team.
Starting point is 00:17:27 That is Nash, who is delivering a bag. Hi Nash, you can't talk, I know, but good to see you, Nash. Nash is waving. What could it be? What is happening? Nash has got big fangs. What in the world? Okay, Abby's pulling out a bag.
Starting point is 00:17:40 There's a card first, right? Nash is pointing out the card. Okay, this is way above. What kind of is Nash? A Nash is a predator. Fang. No, but like a wolf. Fing.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Oh, Sabretooth. Sabre Toes. Got it. Okay. Abby, read it, please. Abby, oh my gosh. Stop. Abby, we'd love for you to sing the national anthem for us on February 13th, 2020, but only if I can be your day.
Starting point is 00:18:03 What? Kiss him. Kiss him. Oh. Abby, kiss him. Kiss him. Kiss him. Got her.
Starting point is 00:18:17 Got her. Got her. Abby, wow. Ray. What's in the bag, Abby? What is it? Okay. Oh, it's a Predge jersey with your last name on it?
Starting point is 00:18:25 What? Oh, that's awesome. She's going to play two? This is insane. Abby, what are your thoughts here? They've invited you. Ray is orchestrated. Do you sing the national anthem at the Preds game?
Starting point is 00:18:35 That is Sparkly Mike. Oh, my God. That's amazing. Yes, I accept. Yes. And what do you want to say to Ray? That is, this is like the most thoughtful, most amazing thing ever. I kind of want to cry.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Thank you, Ray. Please cry. You're like the best person ever. Do you want to trade it in? No. How fun is that, right? Oh my god, Ray. Thank you to the Fred's.
Starting point is 00:18:56 Ray, that was awesome. Yeah! Abby! Merry Christmas, good. It was so good. Ash, good to see you, buddy. Okay, let's go, let's go. That's the best present of a year.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Wow, Ray, wow. Good to see you, buddy. Wow. So, nobody went spicy. Great gifts, guys. Ray, A plus. Thank you. How did you arrange that?
Starting point is 00:19:17 I hooked it up, Wayne D. Man, I guess he does the announcing, and he's like, yeah, she can do the national anthem, National Anthem and she had a clip in the system and they said she makes the cut, she's good. Look at you. What a great idea. That's very, it's meaningful to her. Good job, buddy. Good job, Bray. Okay, coming up, Eddie, Mike D, myself, scuba and lunchbox. So here. Yeah. All right. It's hard to follow that. Will anyone go spicy? Will anyone get luxury? My spicy Christmas on my desk, there are six boxes. Four of them are really luxurious items.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I paid for with my own money, and if you guys don't pick, I end up taking them home because I want them all. Two of them are really spicy things. One of them is that spiciest chip ever that makes you cry and vomit. Amy had to deal with that. It really hurts. One's that gummy that no one will eat. No, no one. So that's the risk you take if you go to the pile.
Starting point is 00:20:06 So you'll get a gift from somebody, and if you like it, you keep it. You say, thank you, Merry Christmas. And if you want to trade it, you give it to me, and you take something from the desk. Last segment, nobody traded in. Everybody thought their gifts were good. Man, I've been trying to dissect those presents with my eyes. Let's go to Eddie who's opening first. All right.
Starting point is 00:20:22 Eddie, where is your gift? I don't know. Where's my gift? Who drew Eddie? I did. Oh, Amy, it's time to give me my gifts. Amy's like just watching, taking it in. I'm like, who's going to eat the spice?
Starting point is 00:20:32 All right, so Eddie, we'll open it up if he likes it. He keeps it. If he does and he trades it. Wow. Oh, it's two. We got two gifts. Ooh, this looks like a BB gun. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:42 A BB gun. Hey, maybe. That would be kind of cool. Right? How cool would that be? Go to the woods. All right. Let's see, we got, um...
Starting point is 00:20:50 Classy rapping favorites. Oh, Dallas Cowboys! It's like grilling utensils, like a spatula and... Well, you love to grill. Thong? Is that what's called? A fork? I don't call that a thong, but I understand why I would say that, yeah, yeah. Tongs.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Thank you, Amy. Thong. Thong. Thong, right? Tongs would be flip-flops. Tongs would be the big you grab. Okay, these are tongs. Oh, yeah, or thongs.
Starting point is 00:21:12 All right, next one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The meaning of thong is underwear, but thongs are also like flip-flops. I didn't know that. Yeah, this one's in a bag. Oh, a Dallas Cowboys hat! That's the best one. He's faking enthusiasm.
Starting point is 00:21:25 He's going spicy. No, that is the best Cowboys hat. Sorry, I stood in the budget. I like it, Amy. Cowboys hat and grill set. I'm looking at those boxes over there. You can keep those or... Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:21:38 I'm the first person that costs someone. Then I keep that stuff. It's now mine, but you trade it for a luxury box. You're a Cowboys fan now. And I'll tell you this. Every luxury box is valued at least. over 100, at least over $100. Oh!
Starting point is 00:21:51 Amy, I'm just saying, like his face was disgust when he opened the... No, not disgust. Amy, thank you so much. I love your gift. But, man, those boxes. And they're luxurious items in there. I just don't know which one I was in there.
Starting point is 00:22:05 You want to go spicy or not, Eddie? I do have a lot of Cowboys hats. You want to go spicy or not, Eddie? Bones? Not that one. I think I'm going to go spicy. He's going to go spicy. Okay.
Starting point is 00:22:16 I got to go spicy. Eddie, come up real quick. Oh, boy, which one's he going to pick? Eddie, go blue bag. Anybody that gets spicy, we'll eat it in a later segment, okay? Eddie, don't touch anything. Don't touch anything. You take the bag, don't grab it, just let me know which one you want.
Starting point is 00:22:33 We'll leave it until we come back. This bag. He's picked this bag right here. Stand down. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh, what am I done? He's looking in it. It's like, it's like.
Starting point is 00:22:47 It's so like. It could be a gift car. He's not smiling. We'll have Eddie get to it in a minute. All right, next up, oh my gosh. Mike D will be opening up his. Who got Mike D? I did.
Starting point is 00:22:58 Morgan, would you give Mike D his gift, please? He has it. Okay. All right, we got some wrapping paper in a snowman bag. And inside we have... Did you leave my cowboy stuff up here? Oh, I have it. You can get it.
Starting point is 00:23:16 No, I own it. Oh, yeah, it's yours. That hat is cool. It looks like a sweatshirt, and we got a sweatshirt. sweatshirt and we got some Dallas Cowboys sweatshirt. Okay, nice. Old school, too. Yeah, I like it. That's really cool. Retro. That's cool, Morgan's.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Something else inside the box. Silver wrapping paper. You got to open that all the way up too. And this we have looks like a corksicle. What? All the way up. All the way out. Yep.
Starting point is 00:23:47 That's a cowboy something, huh? It is a Spider-Man. canteen. Oh, that's cool. A nice one. Yeah, I have a couple of these that I love, and this is amazing. I love this a lot. Do you want to go spicy or keep it? I do not want to go spicy. It's a great gift. Okay, Mike.
Starting point is 00:24:02 Hey, bonus. I'm really glad you kept it, Mike, because I also have two tickets for you to the Tennessee Titans in Dallas Cowboys game in Nashville. Are you kidding me? Courtesy of the Tennessee Titans, my hookup is hooking you up in the game. You are kidding me.
Starting point is 00:24:18 Mikey. And she did that because you didn't trade it. If you were to traded it, she'd have kept it. That's hilarious. I don't wear this to that game. That's an awesome good. Good job, Morgan. That is amazing. Do you want to trade it now? I'm begging him. Please, man. That's awesome. You keeping it? Yeah. Wow. Thank you, Maureen.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Wow. Amy, yours looks kind of lame now. Amy, did you have one of those? I don't have a look up with the Titan. Oh, who got you? Who got me a gift? No pressure, guys. I know. I don't know who even got me. Abby. Oh, Abby's coming in. Oh, you might as well trade now.
Starting point is 00:24:50 I can't trade as I know what the gifts are. Okay, here it comes. Wow, it's two. They're both very flat. Whoa, they're very big. What is that? Give me that little one there or the big one. Whichever one you want me to order.
Starting point is 00:25:02 Next, it's toilet paper that says for when the hogs play like and there's a poop emoji. Okay, Abby, what do you have here? It's a sign. Oh, check it out. It's a bobbycast sign. Oh, that's awesome. That's really good. It's the logo to my songwriter musician podcast that I do.
Starting point is 00:25:20 This is awesome, Abby. Dang. I can hang it. Yeah. Or I can just carry it around all the time. That's true. Everywhere you go. And I'm like, what do you do?
Starting point is 00:25:27 I'm like, why are you asking? I have a sign. Check this out. Thank you, Abby. It's awesome. That's amazing. Okay, so we have two left. Scuba and lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:25:35 All right, let's go. I'm ready. We get a break. Come back. Man, you are just dragging me out. No, I'm not dragging you out. But Eddie did decide to go to the luxury pile. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:25:47 A win is a win. I don't care which I'll say it. Yep. That's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. Starting point is 00:26:47 In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so much, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected.
Starting point is 00:27:18 They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences.
Starting point is 00:27:38 Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Maricopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice has served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:28:16 I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands.
Starting point is 00:28:35 I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's a spicy Christmas.
Starting point is 00:28:57 people have been getting gifts. We drew names. I got a great gift from Abby. I want to keep it. Mike D. got a great gift from Morgan. He gets tickets to the Cowboys and Titans. Amazing. He didn't know that, though.
Starting point is 00:29:09 He didn't. But that's a great gift. Yeah, no, it is. But, I mean, it shows that, like, Morgan was going to be like, ha-ha. You guys are using your hookups, too. Like, Ray got Abby some Nashville Predator stuff, but he also got her a singing National Anthem spot before a game. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:29:24 She's crazy. So the only person to trade in their gift was Eddie. Amy got Eddie some Dallas Cowboys cooking stuff and a hat and he traded it. He went to the spicy pile. It could be luxury or it could be something really hot. I love the gift. I just got the, you know, the urge to get the pile. Only two people left.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Scuba and Lunchbox will open their gifts. You can keep it or you can give it to me and go to the spicy pile. That's right. All right. Scoob, Steve, what do you have? I got scuba. Okay. I got you something good. Today's going to be a good day.
Starting point is 00:29:49 Well, the rapping looks like crap. It's literally like a garbage grocery bag. He got me. Cues and cues, which we have like a thousand of these. There's some gimmick here. I'm sure I gave him this, too. There's some gimmick. Yes, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:30:04 The next one. It is a free game that we have piled up back there. Another grocery. There's nothing there. And then, oh, here we go. Here's the real deal right here. Although, I don't know if this cost of $100 or anywhere near $100. What did you get you?
Starting point is 00:30:16 He got me a Shaquille O'Neill, like kind of throwback t-shirt. Oh, yeah, vintage. Yeah, yeah, that's really cool. I appreciate that. Yeah, and the other one didn't come in in time. Uh-oh. Gotcha. Uh-oh.
Starting point is 00:30:28 I know what that's like. I get it. Yeah, it's out there in a shipping container in the bay, dude. I don't know. It's been over two weeks, and it's like... Do you want to keep it, or do you want to go... Is that a shirt going to fit you? To the spicy pie.
Starting point is 00:30:40 You said large. I said large or extra large depending on the fifth. Because I'm keeping it if you traded to me. You said t-shirt is large, so I got you a large. Okay, you got to stop fighting. Scuba, do you want to go spicy or do you want to keep the shirt? I don't like spicy things at all, but I also like luxury. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:54 I love my team, but good God. I'm going spicy Yeah I'll take the shirt I now own the shirt You're not getting the stuff back guys Up to the show There's no like
Starting point is 00:31:04 Don't touch a box Don't touch anything Which one I'm kept Keep another shirt then Don't touch it Which one would you like Go blue bag
Starting point is 00:31:14 I'm gonna go with whatever I'm gonna go with this box down here Below the blue bag Okay this big box here Cool that's scuba All right Final person is lunchbox Come on!
Starting point is 00:31:23 All right here we go I'm gifting him his gift Okay. Green wrapping paper, it says, Merry Christmas. Hey, you're going to like this stuff. All right. Scooby, you're going to come in back in a second. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:31:36 It's in a brown Amazon box. Yeah, use your muscles. There we go. All right, a couple lottery tickets. Oh. I don't know what to. You got to open it up. Nice box, though, right?
Starting point is 00:31:52 Yeah, what's his little black box? Make up? I don't know. It's lights for your bike. I already have them. That's terrible. What do you mean? There's a headlight and like blinking flashing light.
Starting point is 00:32:02 And a book. In a book. It says, Don't be a D. Like it rhymes with Rick. Wait, was it? It was Eddie trying to get him to be spicy?
Starting point is 00:32:09 That's it. That's it. Yeah. What do you mean? It's on purpose. Come on. That's not on purpose. I think the bike.
Starting point is 00:32:15 I do think the bike. He could have got bike lights. So I'm going to let that slide. Is that a used book? And no, it's a brand new book. And it's called Don't be a D. Why would you get that, though?
Starting point is 00:32:22 That sounds. He did that to Abby. I know, but that was a joke. Lunchbox, the light saved you barely. I mean, it was like no effort. And the lottery tickets, guys. He loves lottery tickets. Are you going, well, are you going to give that all to me?
Starting point is 00:32:35 No. You trading in? Take it. Don't throw it. Oh. What am I going to break? The book? The lights.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Oh, the lights that he found at Goodwill? No, I got on my name. Let's go. Don't touch anything. I'm not going to touch it. I'm not going to smell it, baby. Let's go spicy. What?
Starting point is 00:32:52 You don't want spicy. You don't want spicy. You got luxury and you got spicy. Which one do you not want? Because this one, Scoob is already got. Oh, I do not want the blue bag. Okay. I told me that so it can be bad vibes.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Okay. Because it's a different color than everything else. So it's trying to catch my eye. I don't want it. Go ahead. That big box is saying pick me. But that means you put the biggest box there because you want me to pick that one.
Starting point is 00:33:18 Well, scuba also picked a big box. I know, but it's not the biggest. That blue bag says, uh-uh. It's a different color and everything else. We need to pick something. This one! That box right there! I want it!
Starting point is 00:33:30 Okay. Mid-sized? Yeah, mid-sized. Oh, my gosh. Your face is telling me I should have to. What, do you want to change? Gosh. Your face is dumb.
Starting point is 00:33:39 All these items are luxury items, but there's... Oh, that could be an iPod. An iPod. What? I need an answer to him. He wants an iPod. That's why I sure got him. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:33:51 Oh, my gosh. Give me. Oh my god. Go ahead. Sticking with it. Are you sure? Stick it with it. I'm going to tell you right now, you're not going to like what's in that box.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Wait, or is he lying? Uh-oh, uh-oh. You never know with Bobby. Oh, my God. That's the deal. Hey, you are not going to like what's in that box. Oh, man, I don't like that words. I don't like that words.
Starting point is 00:34:16 You know what I say? Go with your gut. I'm sticking with it. Okay, because you might love what's in the bottom. Oh, oh, my God. Okay. Oh, you're crazy. Here's what we're going to do.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Hold on. Hold on, so scuba, Eddie, and lunchbox all went spicy. That means one of you will get a luxury item for sure. Maybe all three. Oh, my God. We're going to open up the spices or the priesies. Mm. Or the luxuries.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Scoba, you can come up and just don't really pick yours up, but you can open it. Hold on, Scoobah's got a white box with a fold flap. It's a pretty big box. It's either the biggest or the second biggest box of it. So scuba go ahead and unflapp it. There you go. And scuba hate spicy. What's in it? Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Pick it up. What is it? Look at the back of it. You can say what it is. Oh my God. $300 of Amazon. Whoa. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:35:09 Thank you. Let's go. Merry Christmas. That's not good. But that's one. No, I need the box. I stole it from Caitlin. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:15 Layed on the chair. I got to be sure to get that back home. I know. I was like, I think I saw those boxes under your Christmas shirt. I did. I removed some stuff and used them. This is not good. That's one good one away.
Starting point is 00:35:24 So one good one's down. That means. Oh my gosh. There are five other gifts up here. Two of them are spicy. So it's almost a 50-50 chance of you guys are spicy. Oh my gosh. There's like four gifts up here.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Well, Eddie's little bag is somewhere. Oh, Mike has it. Yeah, you guys took that away. Okay, Eddie, we'll let you go second since you came up. Just laid in front of them, Mike. Oh, man. I went with a whole little bag theory. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:46 And you have, you turned away some cowboy stuff, a cowboy's hat. But Scoobes was light, too, as a gift card. I know, I know, I know. Oh, man. Cowboy hat and... I can touch it now. Cowboy girl stuff. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:35:56 Open it up. It's in a little white guy. Oh my gosh, there's like nothing in there. It's like a feather. So a gift, a gift card would be like a feather. Or a gummy bear. That's true. It could be either one. Or a damn chip.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Go ahead. I'm not even looking in bones. Reach it in the bag. Paper. Oh, my gosh, there's a box. What is that? No. A rat box.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That's the same shape. Oh, my God. The gummy bear. Ah! Yeah. I got the little nitro gummy bear.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Oh, man. I bet you're going to miss that. Eddie got spicy. Who the Cowboys had I got you? Just open it up and get it ready. Don't eat it. Just get it ready. This is so dumb. I mean, I feel for him, but also I'm like.
Starting point is 00:36:47 Lunchbox, come on up and grab yours and just walk you back over to your desk because it's going to take a minute for Eddie to come back to live. It's so dumb. Now, you've chosen, of the four that are up here, you chose this one. You can take it to your seat. You can take your seat.
Starting point is 00:36:58 I take your seat. Yeah, take your seat. All right. Pick it up. Oh, boy. Come to Daddy. Oh, boy. Get it.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Woo! Your wallet? What is he doing? What is he doing? I will trade you for that gift. This is a one-time offer. There's no negotiating. Hey.
Starting point is 00:37:23 $120 in cash for that gift right there. It's right here on my hand. You can have that gift. There's no more negotiating. There's also the option if you don't like it to trade it. But you know, one of these up here is the spicy. Do you want the cash or the gift? Give me the gift.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Give me the gift. Oh, my gosh. Go away with the money, luxury items. It is a white box. It's got tape on all four sides on the top, holding it down. Oh, I got it. I already done it. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:38:00 You ready me to flip this open? Remember, I told you you weren't going to like it. Stacks of cash. Go ahead. Here we go. Three, two, one. Blast up. What's in there?
Starting point is 00:38:14 First of all, it's a crap. It's a jiamache tie. What? Who wears a tie? I'm not 12. It is a very expensive luxury tie. That's really nice. And luxury face products.
Starting point is 00:38:28 Wash us, scrubs. Oh, no. So. This is crap, man. You said it was luxury. All that is luxury stuff. No, this is a joke gift. It's a brand name, dude.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Lunchbox. Where did you get this face stuff, man? You can keep it. You could. You can keep it or you can trade it for one of these. Need an answer. Oh, my gosh. You had the cash.
Starting point is 00:38:51 I gave them the offer for the cash. Yeah, but I can take this bank and get cash with this. Mm-hmm. Or store credit. Yeah, this stuff's crap, man. It's absolute crap. I'm out on this crap. I trade.
Starting point is 00:39:03 Okay. Wow. Bring that to me because I want it. That's the stuff I like. That's great. Lay it down? We're a tie. We don't like to have a word tie.
Starting point is 00:39:13 No idea. Exactly. Don't touch anything. I'm not. What would you like next? Goodness, you guys, stress me out. We're on a clock here. We don't just like goofing around.
Starting point is 00:39:22 around. You know what? What? Give me the blue bag. Oh, he's been eyeing the blue bag. Give me the blue bag. Blue bag. The thing I said I wasn't going to take? Guess what? Daddy switched. Give me the blue. Daddy. Let's go. Give me the blue bag. Hey, I'll give you $100 not to take the blue bag. Mommy. Take the $100, dude. Can't do this. Psychological warfare.
Starting point is 00:39:42 It's less than $120, but I give you $100 not to take the blue bag. No. I want blue bag. Give me the blue bag. Oh, no. That is great. I feel like it's like a luxury kitchen appliance. Oh, you want me to open it now? Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:00 Yes. That's my whole point. A $300 Amazon gift card. That face cream and the tie stuff was really nice. Yeah. Stupid. Yeah! What?
Starting point is 00:40:10 Wait, what is it? It's a crap. A mini-toaster oven this isn't luxury. No, it's like an oven. It's a small, like, super. No, I haven't a oven at my house. No, high-tech. It's like a small.
Starting point is 00:40:22 oven that can toast and you put stuff in it. You can see inside of it. You understand, I have an oven that I can use and look inside of it. You don't like that oven? Oh, it's called a teeny tasty toasty. Yeah, that's cool. Why would I want a mini oven when I have an oven? Because you can use that in anywhere.
Starting point is 00:40:36 You can use that here. This is for people that live in New York that don't have an oven or here. Okay. Well, he's not happy. Here we are. Do you want to keep it? No, because there's no. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:40:46 There's one more. There's two gifts up here. You can go to the next gift. 50-50 to get spicy. or you can keep the oven. What are you doing it? I'm pricing it. No, don't do that.
Starting point is 00:40:57 Mike, don't let him do that. No, no, no. Offered you $100 for that and you said no. But I don't even understand. Lunchbox, I need to answer. I don't understand what I'd use this for. Okay, well then you don't like it. You'd to warm food up.
Starting point is 00:41:11 I would use that. I would use it too. I would too. I'd use it my office. I'll trade you for the Gung Bear. Lunchbox, I need to answer because we're running out of time. I'll trade.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Okay. It's trading again. Oh my gosh. Created Spino. Tis the season. One of these things is something that There's two.
Starting point is 00:41:35 We're running out of time here, buddy. Is anybody shocked as lunchbox doing this? What am I going to use that crappy oven for? Which one would you like? I have a house with an oven. Which one would you like?
Starting point is 00:41:46 Give me the big bag! He wants the bag. He was a little bag. Yeah, you know why? Because Eddie had a bag and had something in it. You ain't gonna do two bags with the spice. Okay, take the bag. Give me the bag. Or is he? You want to offer me money? Yeah. How much? Let's go less 40 bucks
Starting point is 00:42:01 I'm making sure if there's cheese in there. You go less every, no, we're just going less every time. I'll give you 40 bucks if you just leave me the bag. Not give you the back. Okay, let's go to you guys. Give me the bag. Let's go. Oh, and No, you've chosen it. Go ahead. What did you feel? What did you feel? Go ahead, oh It's the chip. How do you know?
Starting point is 00:42:25 No, no, no, pull it out. Don't think it is immediately. Oh, exactly. Do you know? You know for sure. Open it up. I'm like dizzy from laughing. Stupid chip!
Starting point is 00:42:41 Dang it! All of that. All of that. Why does the world hate me? Okay. So lunchbox, get the chip? Eddie's got the gummy bear? Can I open that big one and see what's in there?
Starting point is 00:42:53 No, leave it. Sit down. I'll trade you. No. Yeah, I offered you $120, $140, and you said no to all that money. You said it was luxurious items and you gave me crap. You gave me face lotion. It's luxury and a very expensive tie that you could have taken back, by the way.
Starting point is 00:43:09 Had you just done that? Oh my goodness. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But you're too good to even take it back to the store. You would have gotten probably over $250 from probably Nordstrom. Cash. So here's what we're going to do. So here's what we're going to do.
Starting point is 00:43:21 Man. Can we roll the dice? For what? So if you two would like to compete. Yeah, I like it. I like it. One person can eat both. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:43:29 And another one gets that white box. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Somebody will die. It's physically impossible to eat. Somebody will die. You'll eat a sandwich of the chip and the gummy bear. No, no, no. Okay, we're going to take a break.
Starting point is 00:43:42 The world hates me. Yes, it does. In the next break, you guys will eat the crap. Spicy Christmas, we had the gift of, exchange? And three different people chose to go to the luxury items. Scoop is the only one that came out doing really well. He traded his gift in, which was a t-shirt, the lunchbox gave him, for a $300 Amazon gift card. That's pretty ball. Amazing. I offer lunchbox 120 bucks. Just take the cash and go home. And he said, nope, I'm going to go to the, and he has the potato chip. Yeah, I kept trading in it.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Did not go well. It's the packie. What does it call? Paci, Pac-I one chip challenge. And the steps say, one, tongue take over, two, shock the senses, three surge of tears, four, jolt to the gut. Oh my gosh. And five, voltage overload. Great. Eddie, what is yours? And what does it say?
Starting point is 00:44:31 Okay, bones. Mine says Lil Nitro, like L-I-L-Nitro, the world's hottest gummy bear. And it's got warning signs all over it. Can I just tell you, I can smell the spice in my nose right now. This is your Christmas present? I believe it. From the gift exchange. Can I say something?
Starting point is 00:44:45 Yeah, real quick. I just touched the gummy bear, and my fingers are burning. We know for a fact. This stuff hurts. So you're going to do it at the same time. Oh, same time? Yeah, yep. Milk beside you.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Merry Christmas. Ray, can you get some Christmas music on? Because I feel I'm in the Christmas mood right now. This is not going to be good. Here we go. Lunchbox, Eddie. Lunchbox with a chip. Eddie with the gummy.
Starting point is 00:45:06 Three, two, one, go. Hey, I'm going to take it like a pill. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my. Melo fire. No, I don't even think I can laugh because I know how painful it is.
Starting point is 00:45:19 I just want it. Oh my god. I just swallowed and it's stuck in my throat. Oh my God. There's milk, Eddie. There's milk Eddie. Guys, it's past my tongue. Now my chest is burning. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Holy. Oh my God, I'm dead. I'm dead. Dude, my throat is on fire. No, I think the top layer of my tongue's coming off.
Starting point is 00:45:44 From the chip? You think it's like burning on? Burning. My heart is racing. I'm not going to make it, those. like death like my heart's racing but you're not gonna make it like death here's the problem I swallowed it and now my throat and my chest is burning he's got a tear out of his eyes who's crying who's crying Eddie
Starting point is 00:46:00 oh you are crying is it that hot I don't know because I don't taste it but my body's freaking out that happens like my tongue is fine I'm good with my mouth it's my throat and my chest right out and I can feel it moving across my body I'm worried I love that
Starting point is 00:46:16 Phil Collins so I can feel it No. Hey, guys, worry about me too. Good gosh. Eddie's not the only one dying. This is not good. It's got to be destroying my insides right now. What, Lunchbox has a, like, that is an aggressive got milk ad.
Starting point is 00:46:32 Lunchbox is in the middle of right now. He's, like, pouring in his face. You good? What the crap. Eddie is sitting tall and quiet because I can feel it, dude. And lunchbox is bent down. Lunchbox's face is so red. The crazy thing is lunchbox could have had $120.
Starting point is 00:46:48 But instead he's eating and being miserable. What did you learn about selfishness, lunchbox? The world hates me. Oh. This sucker's hitting my stomach right now. Uh-huh. Ah, I'm hungry. I'm so iron.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Yeah, I taste it too. Just in the air. Okay, Merry Christmas. My stomach's bubbly. We can't leave me like this. We have to do the dance party. We've punted it a little bit. We can do the dance party.
Starting point is 00:47:15 Eddie's like that person that is so nauseous. They can't really move. Sitting up quiet trying to be as strong as possible. Oh my God, my tongue. Guys. And lunchbox is the opposite. My body's freaking out right now. Like, I can-
Starting point is 00:47:25 Who cares about your body? My tongue is about to fall out of my mouth. I mean, both of y'all are in pain. I'm not in pain. Do you wish you wouldn't have been selfish and just kept a gift the person got for you? No, my gift sucked. Yeah, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:47:37 I like your gift. I'm going to take, I'm going to wear this. No, I gave a good gift. I gave a good gift. Eddie gave me a stupid book and said, don't be a D. Read it. But Scoo me $300 so he won.
Starting point is 00:47:48 one. Okay, guys, Merry Christmas. No, I feel like I'm going to pay for this in like 30 minutes. You are. Oh my God. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay at home there's something good.
Starting point is 00:48:02 Michael Langston is gaming and he's gaming hard. Bsue, those are gunshots, by the way. Bue, boom. When he reaches over, takes a bite of his sandwich and it gets caught. He's choking. And luckily, his eight-year-old daughter learned the Heimlich maneuver two weeks ago. He's banging on his chest.
Starting point is 00:48:19 She runs in. two thrust out comes a sandwich I'm surprised an eight-year-old has a strength to dislodge something from a grown man because imagine an eight-year-old's arm being wrapped around you got to pull pretty hard for that unless he's a wee little guy
Starting point is 00:48:33 it's not a good look for the dad in this story though why he's playing video games eating sandwiches and his eight-year-old daughter saves him altogether not a good look right like just playing video games fine just eating a sandwich fine just choking fine all the above
Starting point is 00:48:49 and his daughter hopping in? Not so good. That's a good point, Eddie. Good for her. You ever choked on something really bad? Yes. Me too. I thought I was going to die.
Starting point is 00:48:56 A Dorito. Who saved you? Me? Because I took my chest and I knew to put it on a corner of a table and like push it in. And finally it went. It's always a chip, you know? It was like, uh-huh. What happened with you?
Starting point is 00:49:10 I mean, I've done it with chips where I'm like, well, this is it. That's how we're going to die. In like seventh grade, it was pizza. Oh, this is how we're going to die? You just committed yourself to it? Yeah. It's how we're going to die. But I figure I'm being a little dramatic at times.
Starting point is 00:49:23 But when you can't breathe... I know, it gets scary. But then I just try to stay calm because I feel like if I panic, it makes it worse. I was alone. Were you alone when yours happened? No, the pizza one, I was in the school cafeteria. And with the chips, I feel like, yeah, I've been alone. I've had two instances alone.
Starting point is 00:49:40 One was a chip where I thought I was going to die, where I got lodged. The other, I was testing at a science experiment where if you put alcohol on something, you can burn it, but it doesn't burn. and I was in like fourth grade, so I had a like a washerag wash cloth, as you fancy people will call it. And I would dip it fully in alcohol and I would light it and go, too, in a huge flame, put itself out. But the cloth wouldn't burn. Well, once I was holding it and it burned my finger and I went, huh, and threw it. And it landed on the kitchen floor.
Starting point is 00:50:06 A little fire started. I was like, I'm going to die! Oh, no. So I stomped it all out. But those are the two times thought I was going to die by myself. Other than falling off a house and rupturing my spleen and being held at gunpoint, those is a whole different situation. All right, that's a good story. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:50:20 That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,

In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story.
Starting point is 00:51:39 This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing.
Starting point is 00:52:02 Greg Alesspian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Ameriopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice is served in Arizona.
Starting point is 00:52:27 Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never. mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends,
Starting point is 00:52:58 oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he did.
Starting point is 00:53:18 serves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, let's go over and get Amy's Morning Corny. A morning corny. What do you call an elf on the shelf who just won the lottery? What do you call an elf on the shelf who just won the lottery?
Starting point is 00:53:48 Wealthy. Wealthy. That was the Morning Corny. The Bobby Bone Show. Everybody wrote. Yeah, yeah. I remember once I was talking to my wife and I was like, I got really lucky that I have a young name. Because I'm never going to be Bob and Bobby's like a young name.
Starting point is 00:54:06 She was like, young. She was, do you think Bobby's a young name? I was like, yeah, Bobby, it's like a young name. And she said, do you really think that? Are you kidding? I was like, of course I think it. So we look it up and it was like at its height in like 1927. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:54:22 Bobbies were really going to. I didn't know. I thought it was like a young name. So how many Bobby's can you name? Go back and forth until you fall out. All right. Okay, Amy. Bobby Flee.
Starting point is 00:54:31 The chef, good. Lunch parks. Bobby Fisher. The chess player. Good, Eddie. Bobby McFeran. The singer, don't worry, be happy. Good, Amy.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Bobby Bones. That's me. Lunch? Bobby Bouchet. Yep, Waterboy. Eddie. Ricky Bobby. I'll accept it from the water boy.
Starting point is 00:54:46 Amy. Bobby Brown. The singer or the makeup? Both will be taken. Okay. Dang it. Bobby the makeup is eye. Oh, I can't take the other Bobby Brown?
Starting point is 00:54:56 Bobby Bonilla. Baseball player from the Pirates and the Mets. Yeah. Eddie? Bobby Darren? Bobby Darren Singer. From like the 50s or 60s. Let's go. Amy?
Starting point is 00:55:05 Bobby Jones. The golfer. Oh, that's good. And also people think I am when I do anything where they don't know country music. Lunchbox? Hold on. I would say Bobby winner. Bobby.
Starting point is 00:55:15 You must have been somebody you knew in high school. Balconi's little league. Yeah. Lunchbox is eliminated. Eddie. Okay. Bobby Bobbberson. Oh, my nickname.
Starting point is 00:55:25 No. No. No. Incorrect. Amy, I think you win. Bobby game. Can you name another one? Bobby your real last name? Bobby Wagner,
Starting point is 00:55:34 the linebacker for the Rams, which probably I wouldn't have accepted. Bobby Moynihan, the comedian, but Bobby Helms, who sings Jingle Bell Rock. It's an old name for an old song. All right, Kristen's on in Virginia. Kristen, where do you live in Virginia?
Starting point is 00:55:51 Midlothian. Is it what you said? Lothian? Midlothian. Midlothian. Oh, classic. We love it there. I love this store. The store there is good. I like that.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Okay, so we're going to play. Is it a Hallmark Christmas movie? So I will read you a description. You name you can talk it out. You have three of these. You need to get two out of three. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:13 Kristen, do you understand the game? Yes. Okay. Number one. With the holidays on the way, marketing exec, Lauren, is visited by the ghosts of four ex-boyfriends
Starting point is 00:56:27 who make her realize the true meaning of the season. Is that a real Christmas movie? Yeah, I think this is like the ghost of Christmas past or something. Or boyfriend ghosts. I feel like I've seen this scenario. I don't know if it's four or exactly this. What about you?
Starting point is 00:56:43 I was going to say that it wasn't, but... No, no, no, no. I know this plot. It has happened in a movie. I don't... I'm nervous that it's not exactly this, but... We wouldn't tinker with it just a little to throw you on. Okay, well, then this is absolutely.
Starting point is 00:57:02 true. All right, but it's your pick, Kristen. She says it's true. Are you going to go with her? I mean, I know I've seen a million different versions of this on Hallmark and so if she feels like yes, then yes. We're going to say, yes, true.
Starting point is 00:57:16 Lock it in. She says it's true. The answer is it is a real Hallmark Christmas movie. It's called The Boyfriends of Christmas Past. Yeah. There we go. Good job, Amy. Let's get another one here.
Starting point is 00:57:30 Two cat lovers pair up to find a home for a litter of cute kittens and find that they might just make the perfect team. I've never heard of this. Me either. Me either. I would watch it. But there are so many movies out there now. I mean, but I'm in a lean with...
Starting point is 00:57:51 It's not real. I agree. I feel like this is definitely something my daughter would have wanted me to watch with her. So I don't think it's real. Well... Lock it in. We lock it in? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:04 It is locked in. And that movie is real. Oh! Oh, no. It's called the nine kittens of Christmas. Dang. I need to find that one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:58:17 Well, at least we're learning some movies we want to watch. Okay. It all comes down to this one. Okay. Jennifer and Marcus exchanged numbers after meeting on a flight home for the holidays. After both testing positive for COVID upon arrival, they decide to quarantine together. in the airport hotel on Christmas.
Starting point is 00:58:39 Oh my gosh. Read it again? Yeah. Jennifer and Marcus exchanged numbers after meeting on a flight home for the holidays. After both testing positive for COVID upon arrival, they decide to quarantine together in the airport hotel on Christmas.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Okay, I feel like I've seen an ad for this and there's like two people in a bed and there's an alarm clock. And it's like, I don't know how many hours till Christmas or so many days till Christmas. I've not watched it yet, though. You want the title? Oh, I can get the title?
Starting point is 00:59:14 Yeah, yeah, yeah. A cozy COVID Christmas. Oh, I don't think that was the title. Oh, man. I mean, but think about it. We have two that have already been true, and if it's down to this one, were they all true? Or is there a false one thrown in there?
Starting point is 00:59:27 But can you predict me? No, I cannot. That's why I'm like... I think I saw this one advertised, and I remember thinking, like, Man, they put that together quick. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:40 Well, then... But I don't know what this is advertised? You saw an advertisement for a cozy COVID Christmas? It was something to do with COVID and Christmas. And, like, we had the Hallmark Channel. And so, yes, but I don't know the plot. I just know, like, I saw, like, the, like, title come up. And it was something to do with COVID and Christmas time.
Starting point is 01:00:03 All right. A cozy COVID Christmas. Christmas. Kristen, what's your answer? I don't know. I feel like also, yeah, like if there's already been too true that maybe this one wouldn't be. Bobby doesn't work that way. He would throw in three-year-old. I'd say, yes. Okay. Lock it in. I'll say it's a real movie. Lock it in. Lock it in.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Oh. A cozy COVID Christmas is fake. Okay, bonus movie! Okay. If you get this one right, okay. You win. I mean, okay. The title's called You Slay Me. Oh, God. Like a sleigh, Santa Sla.
Starting point is 01:00:45 Or is it a murder? No, no, no. Okay. Jack, like Slay comedy. Okay. Jack is an up-and-coming stand-up comedian. He just landed his dream gig of opening up for his comedy idol. But the only problem is the show is on Christmas night.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Jack has to decide to take the slot or spend time with his girlfriend's family. I've never heard of this. I've no idea. You slay me. You slay me. What do you think? I thought she hung up. I mean, your gut seems so much better than mine.
Starting point is 01:01:21 Oh. I don't know. I don't know. I think this one seems too far out there, but. But a COVID Christmas didn't? I mean, no, it did. Because I was like, wait. That's because I, like, only because I swore that I heard an advertisement for something like that on the Homework Channel.
Starting point is 01:01:39 Um, yeah, I'm going to go with it's not. Amy, you want to weigh in on this? I mean, I don't know that Bobby would, that's a creative title. Y'all, you're a creative person. You slay me? What is it? You slay me. You slay me.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Hmm. You slay me. Okay, I don't know. I get made up. I go with her. You say made up. But what is your final answer there, Kristen? Made up.
Starting point is 01:02:08 Lock it in? Yes. Okay. It is now locked in. You Slae me is really fake. It's fun. It's the Christmas. So we gave you an extra one.
Starting point is 01:02:24 We're going to give you, Kristen, $100, courtesy of our friends at the Op Games with games like... D-da-da-da-da-Hus and Q's. Our favorite one right here, which is called... Blank Slate. There it is. But check them out if they're even in stock because they sell out so quick. But thank you. We got you $100.
Starting point is 01:02:41 And Kristen, thank you for listening and being a part of the show today. Thank you so much. All right. You guys, clap your hands for Christmas. Hey, Kristen. CD cells in the United States increased last year for the first time since 2004. Amy, do you have a CD player?
Starting point is 01:02:55 I do not. Maybe in my car, but honestly, I don't know. Yeah, I don't have a CD player either. I guess I have a jukebox in my house to play CDs. Yeah, that's a CD player. But I don't have a CD player that I would ever just listen to music on.
Starting point is 01:03:08 And also, I don't see the benefit of CDs over streaming music. No. I do see the benefit of vinyl because vinyl just sounds different and old. Vinyl has a nostalgic feeling to it. Before we were even born, vinyl sounds like old-timey. It doesn't matter even if it's a new song. It's like...
Starting point is 01:03:25 Love it. Alvin! You know, Christmas, Christmas time. So that's vinyl to me, but CD sales are going up. And vinyl's crushing, obviously, but now it's about CDs. And I look back, I have my first three CDs ever bought. You ready? Here we go.
Starting point is 01:03:43 ACDC Ballbreaker Nice I was a classic rock kid Because at this point My stepdad was a big classic rock guy So ACDC Ballbreaker It was their new album Which is weird
Starting point is 01:03:56 But it was a classic rock band Next up Mariah Carey fantasy And Garth Brooks Garth Brooks The first The first one Did you buy all these for a penny? No I bought them all at
Starting point is 01:04:14 Legit I bought them all at a record store in the mall at which record stores don't really exist now in the mall anymore. 93, 94. I don't know. See, I had an older sister, so I feel like any CDs I got, I got from her. The first one I remember being mine was only because I got a stereo for Christmas, and I got Alanis Morse that Jagged Pill or whatever.
Starting point is 01:04:35 That was the best CD. I had that too, and it had... I had so many singles on it, one after the other. It's like the second or third biggest selling album of the 90s, that Jagged Little Pill album. but man go borders maybe it was borders that's one for sure I know we talked about
Starting point is 01:04:52 90s TV shows in a second so allow us to continue being nostalgic for a second but you would go and you go to them all and there'd be headphones at all these places and you'd put them on because here's where they would get you
Starting point is 01:05:02 there'd be one good song on an album and you'd only hear it on the radio and you'd be like I want that CD and then you'd buy it and you'd be like the rest of this is not good they'd trick you all the time by that they could just throw crap on a CD four or five six seven songs
Starting point is 01:05:12 that weren't that good but you go and you put the headphones on You'd be like, this time I'm going to really investigate this and make sure all the songs are good. But you really couldn't tell because it was just, you listened to it for five minutes. You'd listen to like 15 seconds. That's good. Skip to the next one. That's good.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Yeah, I think I'm going to get this Bush CD. That's what I'd do. Then I'd be out of there. But man, going to Suncoast was another one. Suncoast Records. I guess in Austin, I remember going to Waterloo Records. That's still there. Yeah, and that's still there.
Starting point is 01:05:40 That's like an old school local. But old school stores at the mall, though, like, K. B toys was one. KBs. We'd go by and be like, oh, I'd love to go into KB and get something. Or the one that had all the greenlight posters. Spencer's. Spencer's Gifts.
Starting point is 01:05:54 Is that what it? Yeah, it's still there. Spencer's gifts. And I think that still exists. Yes, it does. But now it's a little more adult than it was then, but it was a little bit adult back then. It was all neon posters in the back. When you think of them all, back in the day, I still think of great American cookie
Starting point is 01:06:07 company, though. Oh, for sure. Mm-hmm. That's a staple. Back in the day, stores at the mall. Sears. Dillards. Foot Locker, man.
Starting point is 01:06:17 And it's still around, but I remember going to the mall and being like, yeah, that place is happening because the music was always loud and everybody was dressed as refs. It's like, this is fun to be in here. I don't think they dressed as reps anymore. They don't. I wanted a foot locker the other day at the mall. And I don't think they just wear hoodies now. That's not cool. I bet they just felt dumb.
Starting point is 01:06:34 They're not even real reps. They're wearing a whistle. Lunchbox, any stores come to mine? Chick-fil-A, because it was only in the mall when we were kids. and that was the only time you could get it, and it was amazing. That's when, oh, so good. Chick-fil-A was only in the mall. Only in the mall until, I mean, we were in high school, I would bet.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Remember the limited? Oh, yeah. That's where I would be like, oh, I wish my mom would buy me clothes from there. Structure. Yeah, structure. I just remember we could never afford Dillards, but we would walk through Dillards to get into the Hot Springs Mall. We'd park in that spot and walk through Dillards,
Starting point is 01:07:09 and I'd be like, dang, they have Abercrombian Fitch. I wish I. Or Tommy Hill figure. I'd be like, damn. That's what they have a Dillard. Maybe that's what it was. Tommy, you'll figure. Because Abercrombie would be a separate.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Mervins. That wasn't at the mall. Yes, Mervins, California was definitely at the mall. Those were separate malls. I had never been to a Mervins. Oh, Mervin's, Bells. Bells. I don't know those stories. Are those just Texas stories?
Starting point is 01:07:32 Maybe. Maybe they were Texas stories. Yeah, I don't know. I remember Circuit City was big back in the day. Oh, yeah. I don't even that exists anymore. No. Circuit City, Kmart. It's time to play easy trivia. this is the game where we Google
